Ordered Yuzu Ramen and Karaage through Uber Eats. Coming from Tokyo, Japan, I felt at home eating them. Food here is very authentic Japanese food. Reading the restaurant (owners?) came from Kichijoji area after enjoying ramen, I totally got it - I can clearly imagine this ramen would be popular for local in Kichijoji. 最近東京からモントリオールに引っ越してきました。吉祥寺や井の頭公園には子どもの頃からよく遊びにいっていました。吉祥寺発と読んで納得しました。やさしい味がとても吉祥寺らしいですね！マルイを抜けて井の頭公園に入る手前ののんびりしたおしゃれな小道にありそうだなと感じました。 今回はUber Eatsで頼みましたが、今度店舗にお邪魔しますね！

白鶏と醤油ラーメンを注文。白鶏はドロっとした濃い目？でもレモン風味にパプリカとマッシュルームで日本のラーメンとは掛け離れた感じ。醤油ラーメンは魚粉の味しかせず、1,000円以上払ってクオリティは日高屋以下。カナダ人にこれがラーメンだと思われたら困るな…と。店内は綺麗だし、味をちゃんとしたもん出したらまだまだ見込みありそう。と言ったところで星２つです。

It was not the first time I had been there. I do think it's a great place to eat and enjoy the evening of Japanese Otsumami and drinks. Very clean and stylish establishment. I find it very interesting that they put old Japanese songs of Showa era in bathrooms. First, they brought out crispy veggie gyoza, takoyaki and okonomiyaki which were excellent and really lifted my expectations. For the main dish, I ordered from "Bento" menu. Mind you that there is a different section in the menu for "Bol de riz" or "Rice bowl". Although I ordered Bento, it came in a bowl with rice at the bottom and topping on the top. They should call it "Bibimbap" in the menu instead of Bento. I think it was a big mistake to order "Fish Katsu Bento". After a great experience with "Crispy Veggie Gyoza", my expectations were high, but I was very disappointed to see the "Fish Katsu Bento". Not only because of the presentation was more of a Bibimbap than Bento. But Fish Katsu did not look anything like made there with breading of flour, egg and Panko. It was obviously from frozen fried fish, the kind that you'd expect to see in canteens of North American schools. They gave Tonkatsu sauce and Egg Tartare sauce on the side. Egg tartare sauce was homemade with very rich flavour of eggs and I should admit that it exceeded my expectations. Then I had mini green tea cheese cake which came with the meal which was nothing extraordinary. I’m a Korean living in a small town in Canada, so I don’t often go to Korean restaurants when I travel (I usually just cook at home). But my kids really wanted tteokbokki, so we stopped by Ganadara, and I’m so glad we did. The food was delicious, the place was clean, and the staff were kind. The owner even came out of the kitchen to say goodbye to us. We loved the “poutine tteokbokki” so much that we ordered another one to go. Right after we left, some sauce leaked out because of a small mistake my son made. He went back in to ask for an extra bag, but instead of just giving him one, they completely repacked the food in a new container. It was so thoughtful, and we really appreciated it. We also chatted with a Taiwanese couple who knew a little Korean sitting next to us, and it was also a really sweet and fun moment. All in all, delicious food, kind people, and a warm experience. Highly recommend!

行列ができていたので食べてみましたが、並ぶほどおいしいとは思いませんでした。 お店の人に一番人気を聞いたところ、スパイシーガーリックラーメンとのことでした。スパイシーでもなかったし、ガーリックの味もあまりしませんでした。チャーシューはなかなかおいしかったです。 地元では人気店のようなので、カナダの人の口には合う味付けなのかも知れません。
