Food and drinks were not very good. Two night stay and My margarita was too sweet, my beer could have been colder, the appetizers were not so good. We tried the hummus plate and will not again. Sounded great on menu but was not so in reality. Chicken sandwich was not very good either. The chicken was cooked nicely but the rest was subpar. The music on the other hand made the whole stay worthwhile. Best DJ ever!! Great sound system and tunes. I will visit again if I’m ever in Memphis. Kudos for snagging such a great DJ.

The food is okay, I've tried the salad, cheese bites, wings and fries.. but Great service. Love watching the bartenders mix their drinks, true mixologist, Love Bridgett great personality! The atmosphere is very nice and chill and I enjoy the live dj. Its a great place to socialize and meet people.will continue to come back

Great place to go to after hours. However, turn the music down way too loud. Can't even have a conversation without shouting. Soul music 1st of Aug was not something that you play it was from an error of pain for black Americans.

Amazing atmosphere and ambience. Great city views from the patio including skylines and the train. The cheese fries are an elevated experience from the typical messy fries at bars. I tasted every bit of elegance that was put into crafting those fries. The Sadboi cocktail was fruity and nice too.

A nice spot for breakfast if you are also staying in the hotel. Not so many options but adequate for what you need. The waitress was so kind and gave up a tour of the old station after we finished eating.

After a long day of travel, this was such a treat. We went early because we were hungry. Jordan took amazing care of us - excellent recommendation for the mushroom pizza (I'm picky when it comes to mushroom AND pizza execution) and made a great cocktail for me off the cuff. He was kind enough to give some local recommendations, even though he was calmly handling a growing crowd, and even tipped me off to a current band that reminded me of my favorites in high school. Thanks for a great first evening in Memphis.

Amazing cocktails. The bar staff is knowledgeable, love what they do, and have some great classic cocktails and inventive feature cocktails. They have a thoughtful back bar spirits selection including some great amaro brands like See the Elephant. Highly recommended for a black negroni made with mezcal, See the Elephant, Campari and grapefruit rind. Will 100% be back!

Excellent happy hour. Loved the sausage pizza with a cocktail before, this time a plain cheese pizza. Just keep in mind that the pizza is hot hot hot when served. So maybe order another drink as you wait for it to cool down.

My first visit to Bar Hustle and I must say that I was impressed. I loved the nostalgic ambiance. I was there for a small social gathering and the setup was perfect for drinks, light appetizers and conversation. Of course, I had to have an old fashioned for my drink and it did not disappoint (so I had two). The lamb meatball pizza was very good as well! From the description, I thought it would fall more in line with a gyro but it was a perfect mix between a gyro and a gourmet pizza.

Bar Hustle is quickly becoming a go-to staple for us. The food and drinks are some of the best you’ll find in Memphis, and the atmosphere strikes that perfect balance between vibrant and laid-back. Bonus—it’s pet-friendly! We’re in DeSoto County, and it’s absolutely worth the drive to downtown every time.

Really great meaty wings. Spicy! Gooey grilled cheese w tangiest. tomato soup…hearty. Deviled eggs had kick. Memphis Old Fashioned. I had one, could have 6 more except I have to drive home Robert was our waiter. Excellent guy.

Met up with some work compadres for some drinks and eats. We had a great time and some great drinks. It was not super busy on this evening and the service was great! The food was also pretty good too!! Highly recommend the charcuterie board!!! Not pictured, we also got the shrimp shrimp étouffée and the grilled cheese… both were great!

I liked the place, especially how fast service is We luckily came during happy hour and had some good cocktails @ half price(4pm-6pm Monday-Friday) and some not so good food at half price also. Again, I applaud the place for having affordable bites so quickly, but the quality really shows once the food arrives. I recommend the beef sliders and avoid the tacos (which had tiny bits of shrimp and was a huge letdown). So, my advice is focus on the drinks. There is a menu in which good isn't discounted and those plates looked yummy

Came here with friends (December 30) for happy hour and this is a nice little gem. The ambience was great and I’m glad I came! I ordered the House Frites and Mussels as an after work “dinner” and was able to get a few drinks from the happy hour menu. I would definitely recommend the Hound Dog as this drink was delicious! The mussels was cooked perfectly and just the right amount of garlic. They give you a massive amount of fries that’s enough to share with the table. I will definitely come back here to try their other food and drinks!

Best cocktails bar ever! The drinks are amazing but the bar tenders actually know the drinks! Food was great too. Overall I would recommend this place for sure.

The small plates are great... deviled eggs, tune poke tacos... and a plate of fries that’s a mile high Bartenders are super friendly and helpful. Can’t say the same for the disinterested hosts :/ but that won’t sway me from coming back

I went to The Silly Goose Bar in Memphis and was very disappointed. The drink I ordered — a Jameson and Sprite — was completely watered down and not worth the price. Honestly, I could have stayed home and poured water in a glass and had a better experience. To make matters worse, the bartender was rude and acted like serving me was an inconvenience. For the money they charge, the service and drinks should be far better. This place is not worth it, and I won’t be returning. Memphis has too many other spots where you can actually get what you pay for.

This place was so beautiful! And the cocktails were pretty yummy - honestly I think the presentation of the drinks could have been a tad more beautiful but I have high expectations 😇 the bartender was nice and attentive and the vibe was classy and fun. I didn’t get to try the food but it also looked good (pizzas and apps but nice looking). Overall I def recommend esp if you’re looking for some respite from Beale street.

Larry is my fav. He is always attentive and efficient in his service. He also does a great job at creating cocktails and making my experience unique.

Great place during both day and night! Atmosphere is great, staff and owners are amazing, food is delicious! They just added morning service with best Italian style coffee in town- it’s just a great spot for any time of day and location is super convenient!

Drinks were solid, leaning on the sweet side for all of them but they did have a nice range of liquor. Interior decor is a bit tacky but they’ve put effort in and the bathroom was clean! We had a nice time and enjoyed cocktails and a margarita pizza.

If you are looking for a great place for good food and drinks with a friendly atmosphere and music this is the place for you. You are greeted by very friendly puppy dogs in a pirate ship setting. Live music at night. The food is So good that it makes you want to come back and try the other dishes. Tyler Holmes who works there was very friendly and a pleasure to meet. I enjoy going there meeting new people every time I visit ❤️

Came in from outta town and happened to pop in late night during karaoke. Michael was very friendly and welcoming despite our arriving just before close. Drinks were great and atmosphere was fun! Michael definitely made our night and made some great recommendations for during our stay!

It was small really nice old school type of place. Mike was my bartender it was really nice I love the paper plane. And I had the oyster sampler which was excellent I couldn't tell you which one was my favorite. And they have comedy night tonight

Beware DOG friendly atmosphere!!! My aunt and I went on an oyster date. Evidently she didn’t do her research because she’s extremely afraid of dogs. After enjoying our meals and drinks in walks a cute black and white dog. And out the door we go lol. Other than her being scared of the dog everything was great…

First time visiting Memphis and I wanted to check out BB Kings based on their reviews. I ordered fried okra, side of Mac n cheese, and a combined shrimp and catfish platter. Pros: the portions are a decent size, so I was able to order one platter and share with my 12 years old. The platter only came with one piece of fish but since we had the okra as a starter and Mac n cheese as a side (upcharge) it was more than enough. The Mac n cheese was good, very creamy and flavorful. The food was also hot and the service was great. The okra was very good as well, mostly because the sauce really kicks it up a notch. I also really enjoyed the hush puppies that came with the platter. Cons: in terms of the flavor of the fish and shrimp, it was okay but not great. For me, it wasn’t stand out or unique in any type of way. Would I recommend. Yes. The restaurant does play music so it can get kind of noisy and it was kid friendly (We went earlier in the evening).

So fun!!! Walked in for dinner and also enjoyed a great band. (There is a cover charge for adults.) Ron was a fantastic waiter!! Took very good care of us - my delicious sweet tea was never empty! Ribs were fall off the bone delicious and the shrimp and grits were so good!! We added hush puppies - a very good idea on our part. It was all so good!!! Service, food, atmosphere... perfect!! Only negative - the men's bathroom attendant was rude to my 15 year old (no reason, uncalled for!)

We tried 3 different ribs places and this was definitely the best place! The ribs were fall off the bone and had great flavor. The sides were good as well but nothing amazing our favorite. The vibes were great since there was a live band. The service was very nice and attentive.

First time to Memphis and visited this renowned location to enjoy some comfy food, great live music and lively atmosphere. It did not disappoint. Memphis Soul Factory had the place on their feet. Such incredible talent. We had a great time.

Went in the evening right before catching the grizzlies game. $10 cover for live music. But it’s worth the overall experience. Grab a drink and enjoy the music and food. The shrimp and grits is in my top 3 of all time. Would go back in a heartbeat

Best Halloween spot one could have asked for. Live music + nachos made me extremely happy. I also love that you can watch the band from down on the floor, as well as from the upper gallery. Staff was dressed up too, Beale Street in general is always an adventure. The vibe overall was unforgettable.

Our server was great! When I ordered Non alcoholic Shirley temples, she gave my daughter extra Cherries 🍒. Rib was good but not the best. Nachos are 10+. It was just us three, and we shared our food and asked for extra plates. It wasn’t busy when we went and we saw the band setup their gear while we ate at the second floor. Overall it was good.

Traveling home to Pennsylvania and we had to stop in Memphis and visit Beale Street. Many eating options on Beale Street but we decided on the Silky O'Sullivan's. My son wanted the brisket, and I had the brisket sandwich. Very good service since they were just opening up for the day and getting ready for live music. Plenty of seating and good food and drink options. Paid parking close by. Enjoyed Silky O'Sullivan's on Beale Street.

If you’re visiting Beale Street in Memphis, Silky O’ Sullivan’s is an absolute must! We went during the day and had an incredible time listening to awesome live music. Buddy the great entertainer played all of our requests, which made it an extra fun and personal experience. The drinks were perfect for day drinking. I especially loved having coffee with spirits to keep the energy going. The staff was unbelievably friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home from the moment we walked in! I was surprised there was no cover charge, especially considering the quality of the entertainment. Prices were very reasonable, especially for a prime spot on Beale Street. They have live music going throughout the day and night, so no matter when you stop by, you’re guaranteed a great show! Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for great music, friendly service, and an authentic Beale Street experience without breaking the bank!

We stopped during the day for a cocktail. We returned later for the Piano Bar. I have to admit the kindness from doorman during our day visit is what made us want to return. It was a BLAST!!! If you wanted to be part of the fun, they included you. If you wanted to sit back and enjoy the show, it was just as enjoyable. We didn't have any food, just cocktails and entertainment. The door man made sure we got to our Uber and was taken care of.

We visited beale street as part of our memphis tour. It was 901 and labour day and was extremely busy. I spotted silkys as we walked down the street and made a beeline for it on the way back up. We were seated straight away. Service was great portion size was very good and price was reasonable. There was a musician setting up as we were leaving and the place was starting to fill up a bit. I imagine later in the day and in the evening it gets quite busy and somewhat louder

Good environment, great band tonight. We didn't eat here and the guy serving our area was inattentive so lower rating but a good big outdoor hangout and food looked decent. Fun place.

Cool old place. Lots to look at. When we walked in, the employee barely looked up from whatever she was doing and told us to seat ourselves. We were a group of four and we all ordered a drink and lunch. I ordered chili cheese fries and really enjoyed them. While were there, a guy came in to set up to play guitar. The bathroom was decent. Probably a really fun bar on weekends with live music.

Ordered jumbo smoked bbq wings and the gator gumbo. Both were good but the gumbo was the standout to me and really was amazing. I definitely will be back.

Rum Boogie Café on Beale Street is downright cool! Not an inch of this place goes untouched! There’s so much to look at, it’s incredible. You can feel the energy and history that’s passed through here, even during the day! We had the breaded mushroom appetizer, which hit the spot, and the drinks were heavy pours, a definite plus! Loved the cherry margaritas! There was just one guy running both the bar and food service, and he did a fantastic job keeping everything on the move. They have a separate bar area as well as tables to dine at and watch the stage entertainment. I only wish I could have seen it fully alive at night, but even during the day, Rum Boogie Café has a really unique vibe. Highly recommend stopping in!

The interior is a sight to see. I loved all the guitars hanging around the whole place. The tables had bright, cheerful plastic gingham tablecloths. The staff were friendly and service was quick. The entertainment was good. Now about the food, the BBQ Pulled Pork was delightfully smoky with a sweet BBQ sauce poured onto the sandwich. I loved it. It was $18 and did not come with any sides. I had the fried okra that wasn't seasoned much but I still loved it. I tasted the mac n cheese which wasn't for me...I think it had pimento cheese in it. All sides were $4.95. I drank iced tea at $4.95 a glass. I really loved the food but felt $55 was a bit much for two sandwiches.

Stopped in for lunch and the place is amazing and so fun. Our waitress (I think Erica) was so sweet and took great care of us! Lunch was delicious. I highly recommend! All the guitars are soooo cool. Definitely stop in if you are visiting Beale st!

Our waiter was clearly high, we could smell it. He was friendly tho 😆. The food was terrible. I ordered a catfish sandwich and the lettuce wasn't just wilted, it was molded. The rice wasn't cooked all the way in the red beans. The side of bread we were given tasted funny, like moldy. The catfish itself was fried perfectly. The drink was made well. Everything else was not good.

Live music, drinks, and kitschy vibe, plus great food. Service is slow, but we weren't in a hurry. Floors are sticky, which we expected in a honky tonk. No cover charge when we visited on a Sunday afternoon.

This place has has a laid back and chill vibe. Indoors is very lowkey with dim lighting. They have a large outdoor patio, which is where I sat. When you sit outside you can choose covered w/ fans or uncovered seating. Just keep in mind, if you sit outside there’s possible chances of the homeless in the area asking for food/money. Service was good. Mark? took care of us and was very friendly and helpful, but I wish he would’ve checked on us a little more often. I really wanted to try their brunch but ended up missing it by a few minutes (they changed the hours) so I settled for their chicken sandwich. The flavors were there, it does have a little kick so if you don’t like spicy this isn’t for you. Buuuuuut the downfall of it all was that my chicken was raw. And it completely ruined my appetite. My friend got the Philly cheesesteak, which was great. The fries were nicely seasoned and crisp to perfection. All in all, I probably won’t return for lunch/dinner but I’ll give them another shot for brunch! Oh, and don’t rely on their menu online! They change the menu and don’t always update the website.

Food was amazing. Atmosphere was interesting. Service was lacking a lot. It really is a cool idea. And the menu was definitely interesting. The salmon I had was top level Fire! Would get it again and again. I had four people ask me about it while I was there and they ordered it too. The service...there were two guys behind the bar and they seemed like they could care less about my sitting there. I do not drink and I guess since it is a "Speekeasy" I should not be there. Whatever. I would go again. But I may not go out of my way to get there.

Really cool atmosphere. The food was really tasty but not cheap. I had the steak that was pretty expensive. Ordered medium rare. Came out paper thin and medium well, however, still tasted great. I ate it all and would order it again. Maybe the best mashed potatoes of my life. My only complaint is the lazy bartender. I watched her screw up classic drinks for over an hour. Every drink given a single shake and unceremoniously dumped into a rocks glass with ice. Sidecar, margarita, martini, gimlet, old fashioned, etc. All looked exactly the same. Left out a lot of really important ingredients. If they are going to charge a premium for crafted cocktails, and they do, they should be exactly that, crafted. Said she has been a professional bartender since like 1997. I can't imagine where. Maybe she just wasn't into it that day. I overheard her say someone complained her drinks were too strong. When you leave out all the non-spirit ingredients it has that effect.

Brunch was fantastic! I had the salmon hash (as I’ve had many times before) and it does not disappoint. I crave this dish ALL the time!

By far the worst experience and service I have had at any restaurant in Memphis! I repeat I do not recommend, the service is slow, they do not have assigned tables for a waiter or waitress to serve you.(everyone just comes along which causes problems) I did not receive my sweet tea that I ordered after waiting 15 minutes before someone came to the table to acknowledge me and my party was here. I asked for a new order of potatoes and the waitress was completely rude and saw that my potatoes were burnt. Lastly on my reorder my potatoes were worst along with ketchup packages in them.

Disappointing chicken and waffles. $14 for a level of quality I would expect for $8 at a dive joint. No meat on wings, no breading, no flavor. Super slow service. Wasn't busy, maybe server was also working as cook? Outdoor seating was nice.

Where do I start!? I first came to Cameo for date night and I was impressed with the rather vibey northern bar feel. We had a burger and two old fashioned drinks, which we both enjoyed. The service was quick and the service was great! I came back after the Cooper Young Fest for happy hour with my girls and was so pleased to see that they have happy hour from 4-7 EVERYDAY! The bartenders are excellent, and took great care of us. We stayed for the whole happy hour. Everything is good. We also got fries, which I highly recommend.

Elevated rustic lodge interior design with dark walls and taxidermy decors. Besides the classic concoction, the speakeasy like bar also serve up special house mix every season and light bites. Monday is Happy Hour All Day ~ ~ * the Old Fashion tho was not smooth enough and a little hard on my taste.

Lady at the bar with tattoos is terrible. Drinks were watered down w/ so much sugar on the rim, I needed a makeup wipe. Really nice place but I think she was on her period or mad at her “bd.” I will have to call going forward and ask who is on the schedule before returning because she made the experience weird.

I’ve been going to Cameo for years now and it remains one of the best bars in Memphis. Quality cocktails, service, and environment. Karaoke, drag, dj sets, you name it they’ve got it. The cocktails deliver on taste and appearance every time and if you want an N.A. option, they’ve got quality choices there as well. Always a great time with friends or just a solo trip. 10/10 recommend for anyone looking for a Memphis staple.

Very nice and interesting bar. Seems more upscale. It's very quiet. No TVs. All orders are made at the bar so there is not any table service. Bartender was nice but didn't have much interaction with him other than ordering drinks. Ordering food from the card was kinda confusing. Overall this is a nice location. Seems like a good place for a date but not to watch a sports event. Wouldn't mind going back.

The cleanest Tin Roof I've ever been to! Also Michelle is our favorite bartender. We have stopped 2 years in a row on the way to Tunica. Tell her I sent you if you go! We love her!

Pretty good food as far as Beale Street goes. Much better than what you would call ‘bar food’. I’d eat here again. For a Tuesday Night when there is hardly no one here, the music is overwhelming.

Although the atmosphere was vibrant, the food was average but the service was good! My family reunion was scheduled for the upstairs portion of this establishment but their AC was not working and they had us in an adjacent room from their main hall which appeared to be like a basement! My family reunion banquet was using picnic tables indoors! I'm talking about hard metal plastic coated picnic tables that you would find at a playground! DJ booth was made of wood similar to that of a fort on a kids playground and there was a little door at the bottom of it and the inside was filled with trash. It was very disappointing, primarily because we paid $100 for this banquet per person through our family Union only to have it at this place which was a dive! Dive! Maybe it is a great locally for the folks here in Memphis but coming from Philadelphia, it was a dive! I will say this, in Grace, the main hall was really lively with the rock/ country music that was being played but the adjacent room was in shambles.

v Most of the people we saw working there looked as though they could care less and acted the same way. They did not have any servers so the person running the bar was attempting to do both jobs. The musician they had in there was good and enjoyable. My drink was good but, my wife's margarita was not at all. The food we had there was only fair.

It was a good night. John was bartending that night, and I'm sorry I forgot the band's name, but it was so nice to get to listen to some live music while I was in town. I loved the area and the vibe, definitely coming back to visit next year.

I went to this club almost 12 years ago. It was pretty decent. Jello shots were served and there was a nice crowd.

Why when me and my sister sat down at the bar 11:45 on a Saturday night the bartender sat down. Didn’t acknowledge us. I had to wave at her to get her to attend to us. Listen girl, if anyone approaches your bar, you need to introduce yourself.

Great visit, fun servers, good live music with good sound...of all the places on Beale, we spent the most time here.

Not a great club but probably still better than most in the area if you want to dance. Can be lots of fun if you go on the right night with good friends. Good music selection. On a good night the third floor is where the dancing and crowd will be. Can be quite a wait at the bar on those nights. Their F Me Up drink will do just that (depending on the bartender, it can be overly sweet at times). First floor is more chill and has live music.

Great place. Love the atmosphere. Band and DJ Ron were amazing. Didn't get my servers name but know his face. Paid my tab with a card and tipped in his jar. He came running out to me saying I could have tipped something in the rudest possible way assuming that since I didn't tip on my card I didn't tip at all. Would give 5 stars but leaving a club like that ruined my night and brought it down to 4 stars.

I went to see the Elvis Tribute Artist competition there. Not a bad seat in the house. Typical bar food-good greasy burger and onion rings. Great atmosphere.

We discovered Hernando's on a trip to Memphis to catch some music in 2019. Caring and enthusiastic people that cater to the music lover , like us. Great history there too. Not fancy, but a diamond in the rough. Great bar food and my wife would always recommend a pickle shot vodka !

It has been over 20 years since I habe been in here. Mr. Kenny still had it. I came in on singer song writers night. And singer started in on Mississippi. But cool. They really fixed the place up.

What a cool place! We've been visiting Hernandos Hideaway for a few years now. We've seen some great bands here, and always enjoy hanging out with friends & enjoying some good food, good drinks, and good music! Hernandos Hideaway has so much music history, from Elvis, to Johnny Cash, to Charlie Rich, and so many others. Man if those walls could talk, think of all the stories they could tell! You gotta get down to Hernandos!

Love this place! Great atmosphere, good music! Food is down home comfort food. The don’t serve pizza and no smoking inside allowed. The owners are super cool and attentive. A slice of history hugs the venue, almost feels like stepping back in time to the good ol’ days. Highly recommend to anyone

I highly recommend Malika, the bartender! She was incredibly skilled at making drinks, and the ones she prepared for me were delicious and expertly crafted. She clearly knows her craft and has a great palate. Her attention to detail made for a truly enjoyable experience! I just came in town for a quick visit for all the festivals and it was totally unplanned but I’m so glad I did because of my experience and the great service I received. I travel a lot and I know what a great bartender is and she was absolutely superb!

The drinks and the buffalo chicken dip were tasty. There’s a good nighttime view of a bridge on the Mississippi River from the rooftop and you might catch a glimpse of a light show on the bridge (not pictured). The ambiance of the bar is upscale and there’s cool artwork and fixtures in the lobby of the hotel.

Great sunset view of the Mississippi River. Comfortable seating. Didn't try any food but ordered a Biscoff old fashioned from the bar which was good plus some other drinks among us. Perfect place to start the night before heading to Beale Street or to end the day after exploring Memphis.

I had the best experience! I went here for a night out with some friends, I’m originally from Southern California so I’ve been looking for fun things to do in Memphis. This place was really pleasant but my bartender Malika was easily the BEST PART of my visit. She was warm and friendly, made great drinks, and her service was quick! The ladies and I hardly waited in between drinks! We will definitely be back to see our girl Malika with a few more friends!

My hubby and I came in on a busy Saturday night recently for date night. I met Malika and she seemed to be by herself and no one was helping her but she handled it like a pro ! She was so pleasant and acknowledged every guest ! The drinks were fire 🔥 good enough for me to write a review because usually I don’t. I’ve been to many places for social drinks and date nights but this was hands down the best experience by far! Will be back soon !

Absolutely love this place! As soon as the elevator doors open its a whole vibe. Really good atmosphere. Lots of seating. Great music. Drinks were good. Food was great. Live band. The ambience outdoors is very nice especially the fire pit being that it was a little chilly. Inside was cozy and warm. The bartender was super personable and talented at his craft. I really have absolutely nothing bad to say. This will be my new go to spot....especially when bring in out of towners.

Located on the rooftop of Hyatt Centric Beale St. On a Tuesday when I arrived in town it was relaxed and very few patrons which was fine after a long day of travel. I was informed by my bartender Wonderful, that on Thursdays they have a band and Friday &Saturdays a DJ. I found this to be a great way to have nightlife experiences without leaving the hotel. Thursday night the crowd was nice and the band was really nice. Friday was over crowded, standing room only and the temps that evening were way too high and the humidity was too much to enjoy the rooftop outdoor space. The DJ played a good variety of tunes during the time I was there. The views of the river are undeniably breathtaking. Wonderful on Thursday was very informative and friendly!. What I wasn't expecting nor could I understand the policy of an automatic 20% service charge automatically added to the check. I know that is industry standard in the event a tab is left open and card left behind at closing, or for larger parties. I was a solo patron so I was a bit taken aback by this. If you visit, go early and during a weekday evening. Also, kitchen closes an hour prior to closing.

I had the best time here!! We came because the menu looked great and the inside was pretty. Firstly, the bartenders were the kindest people(even though everybody is kind in Memphis, they topped it). Secondly, the food, phenomenal. HIGHLY recommend the crawfish dip. I was stuffed by the end of the dip and jambalaya, but still needed to take another couple bites of the dip because WOW! Also, the drinks were wonderful. The second drink we got, a little strong, but who doesn’t love strong drinks? My boyfriend comes here for a tournament and we will be back next year. 100% stopping at this place again. & not to mention, the vibe is so chill and unique. 10/10 on everything!

What a cool place! The ambiance and service were great! The food was yummy. The drinks were ok, the local beers are fantastic.

This is hands down the best spot for a drink and coo vibe. Jerika drinks are awesome. Ask for the STD…. Don’t knock it til you try it. The lemon pepper lion Mane mushrooms are more than delicious. The crawfish tots were amazing.You will bite your fingers. Kyle will convince you of the old fashion that has these cherrys made in house and you won’t be dissatisfied! Atmosphere is a New Orleans / Texas/ Tenn vibe! This is spot you have to visit… hands down.

Great hidden gem! We checked this out for the first time and will definitely be back. We had the old fashioned during happy hour for $5. It was solid. We also sampled some of the food. I had the jalapeño burger, and it was terrific! Everything is locally sourced, and great care is taken to ensure the highest quality food. The ambiance is fantastic! It felt like we were hanging out in the living of someone's home. If you haven't checked this place out, give it a try soon!

I love the team at Memphis Whistle so much! They are friendly and welcoming. The food and drinks are the best! We always get the lions mane mojo mushrooms and the jerk honey cauliflower bites. Ask about their homemade shrubs, there are always delicious options!

Had this place on my list since opening but have always been unlucky, found it closed the 2 times we tried to go. But our dinner last week was definitely worth it. Such a special, homey yet magical place. Few outdoor tables, also bar seating and few indoor tables and cute unique rooms inside. Owned by a couple who run the bar and restaurant themselves. Cocktail experts who can give you great recommendations, well priced $10. Favorite was the lychee and gin cocktail, “I’ll have what she’s having”… there’s another cocktail I can’t remember, was topped with smoked rosemary. Burgers were huge, fresh brioche bun. I liked the Tiger but didn’t like the big block of blue cheese so much. Would probably prefer a milder and softer cheese. Lions Mane poppers were really good too. There was a big party inside so we opted for outdoor seating, which we enjoyed. But still would like to try the indoor experience next time. Lovely service, def feels like a second home.

Great times at knifebird! I'm glad it's in the neighborhood, it was perfect for an end of day decompress. I love a chill vibe wine bar. It didn't feel pretentious and the wine options were great. Even on a budget, the house wine is great too. My only negative is that when we ordered the small cheese platter, the chocolate was Banana Flavored! I think that's something you need to put on your menu or tell the customer before you bring it out. Not everybody appreciates banana flavored chocolate but it gave us a laugh and added to the experience. Thanks!

Over the years, I’ve been here alone, with friends and on dates. It’s literally the perfect space for things I love to do solo or with a buddy. Come for the happy hour, stay for the happy hours.

Absolutely amazing place!!! I visited with my friend who had heard of it through other patrons. We had the best time ever. Everything we ate and drank was fabulous. ...and we ordered quite a bit! The charcuterie boards were loaded with great palate-pleasing selections, especially the chocolate one! The staff was very engaging and attentive, especially our waitress Jessica. We plan to make this our go-to place to relax and unwind. I highly recommend visiting!!

Amazing experience! The staff are dedicated to making sure you have a fabulous time. Our waitress was so sweet and funny, and the atmosphere was just perfect. I mentioned in my reservation that it was my anniversary with my fiancé and they brought us a complimentary glass of this DELICIOUS sparkling cider, with a very sweet message on the base of the glasses. The food was phenomenal, and the setting is just perfect for an intimate adventure out. I highly, highly recommend!!

Great service, wine selection and bruschetta options! Charcuterie boards are a bit lacking compared to other options across the city. Will definitely be back for the easy atmosphere and wine. Parking is also a bit of a headache depending on what time you visit.

Always a great experience! I love the sweet wine flight. We typically order and share several bruschettas, a salad, and a board. Service is always superb and well staged.

Cute little spot in Midtown to enjoy a glass or two of wine and light bites. The customer service was great and I really enjoyed myself. I ordered the “Wine Flight” Sweet Dreams and my favorite out of the three was the Brachetto. I also ordered the Riesling and it was the perfect finishing touch. For food, I ordered the Flight of Bruschetta (tomato, prosciutto, and brie and fruit). The tomato and prosciutto was really good but I didn’t care for the brie and fruit. I also sampled the board my friend ordered and everything on there was good. Overall, I would come back to try out more of the wines and other food options.

If the platter with the lamb shank (bone in) is always served this moist and tender, I will come back here multiple times a month. I give the lamb shank 5 stars. The seasoning that it was braised in was awesome. Very worth trying. Other dishes we tried were about 3-4 stars for this type of food, but we will be back for the lamb shank again and to see what other surprises are on the menu. Menu prices are very fair! Oh make sure to try the tea! So freshing and relaxing.

The restaurant gave comforting vibes on a rainy Saturday evening. There weren't many people in the place. Our waitress seemed very distracted and didn't give us good service. I tried getting her attention several times, but she never looked our way. There was a young male server who finally came over to help us. The food was absolutely delicious and they were huge portions. When paying the bill I gave the waitress cash, and she shorted me $10. I would definitely go back, though, for the food.

Casablanca has always been reliable - but the kitchen expansion was definitely worth it, especially with the new cafe they recently opened inside. The refreshers are a great cool down in these hot days, the espresso is smooth and well-balanced, and the traditional Yemeni coffee has a rich, authentic flavor - even if you're not a coffee person, you'd enjoy it. Food-wise, it's the same quality you expect: flavorful, fresh, and consistent. Service is fast, and the overall experience just feels more complete now. Definitely worth checking out.

The Philly cheesesteak and falafel are the perfect lunch combination! The portions are more than enough and the staff is always very nice!

I recently purchased a couscous dish, which I typically enjoy, and the experience was, regrettably, subpar. The portion size, relative to the cost, was smaller than anticipated and did not offer adequate value. Additionally, the accompanying sauce was insufficient. Based on my experience with couscous, including its cultural significance in Algerian cuisine, the overall experience was disappointing. Consequently, I will not be ordering couscous from this establishment again, as the value proposition was not met. Please refer to the provided video for additional context.

The only positive thing I can say is the food was edible. The spanakopita had been over heated in the microwave and phyllo dough layers were soggy. My moussaka (pictured) was over heated in the microwave that the beshamel sauce was stuck to the inside of the bowl. They added some sauce to hide the fact, with undercooked chickpeas and potatoes. The lamb in my boyfriend’s lamb chop sandwich was warm on the outside and ice cold on the inside. The ginger, sage, mint tea was sickeningly sweet. The food was edible but of very poor quality. Our table, along door knobs were sticky. Not sure if from poor cleaning or over use of cleaning products. I will not be back.

Casablanca never disappoints. Best grilled salmon in Memphis. I eat there about 3 times every week. The hot tea is delicious and the chocolate mouse is always a treat. Servers are also pleasant. Demaris is excellent!

A random restaurant kinda hidden from 1488, but tucked in a small parking lot area that is next to a shoe store of some sort. Seems like the restaurant has been around for a while and they have their usual returned customers. The goat stew tasted great and was very fulfilling 😋. Customer service was slow, but that's because the waiter didn't speak English, so another waiter had to assist. Not to much seating available, and I went for lunch.

Must have been a bad day to visit. I found this cigar shop while I was on Beale street and this lady at another bar recommended it after I asked if they sold cigars. She mentioned it was black owned so I ,checked it out. I think only two people were working, the lady in the cigar part and the bartender and it's a fairly large space and if you don't like cigar smoke, it's smoky so fair warning. My lady and I went to the bar and the bartender had her back turned and we stood there for a good five minutes and she saw us, but didn't ask if we wanted a drink or anything. I finally flagged her down and then she asked if we wanted drinks or cigars...I said both and she told me I had to get the cigars out the humidor, so I told my lady to order me some Uncle Nearest and get herself a drink and went to get a cigar. There was no one there but another young lady quickly appeared when I went in and recommended a cigar, cut and lit it for me and I went back to bar and the drink was there. Overall, I didn't feel welcomed here and was gonna have another drink but left with my cigar after the first drink. I noticed a ton of signs around the bar about using jiggers, don't move this, turn on the lights and something about not pissing in the bathroom but one sign was missing...how about a sign that says our customers pay our bills and we should make them feel like they want to come back here again. I was passing through town on my cross country road trip and this was my third visit to Memphis but if I come back thru, I won't be going to this place again.

Excellent place for cigars and drinks. A very local Memphis scene yet extremely welcoming to out of towners. We wandered in there on a Sunday night when they have live music---highly recommended even if you don't smoke cigars (as long as you don't mind the smoke) and are looking for a break from the more touristy establishments on Beale Street.

Had a great time forgot bartender's name but we went Midday on Saturday. My hubby and I drinks were good. We will be back hopefully he is there.

Hospitality and cigar mix is amazing. Very low key and relaxing. A must if you love cigars and are in Memphis. Highly recommend.

I'd highly recommend making a reservation, especially if you're planning for peak hours, as the wait times can stretch. Once seated, the positives really start to shine. The dining area was clean, creating a pleasant and comfortable environment. And the food? Absolutely delicious. Every dish we tried was well-prepared and flavorful, leaving us eager for the next bite. The drinks were equally impressive – creative, well-balanced, and truly "yummy." Now for those caveats: The wait times are indeed long, which can be a bit challenging, especially if you're famished. Furthermore, it can get a tad hot, so do yourself a favor and bring a small fan. Trust me, you'll thank me later! Despite these minor inconveniences, the overall experience was overwhelmingly positive. The in-house DJ deserves a special shout-out; their music selection truly helped the time pass enjoyably and kept the "Good Vibes" flowing. Speaking of which, our server was incredibly sweet and attentive, adding to the welcoming atmosphere. In summary, if you're looking for delicious food, great drinks, and a lively atmosphere in a good location, this is your spot. Just be prepared for a wait and remember that personal fan – it'll make all the difference!

I got the chicken sandwich w/fries and macaroni and cheese. The sandwich was crisp and delicious(I added a fried egg). The fries were hot and the seasoning is hard to describe, kinda spicy/sweet, but tasty. The macaroni was good, maybe a little more cheese to complete it. Hookah was present, but I appreciate I didn't smell it and it didn't have the air thick. Even though the bar had a patio window opened, it was still cool and fly free for a Memphis summer. My server Crystal was the best. Very informative and knowledgeable about the menu. Place was clean and being cleaned continously upon guests leaving. Keep in mind, this was a gameday sunday. It's worth trying and going back.

My fiancée and I came here for brunch, and unfortunately it was one of the worst brunch experiences we’ve ever had. The vibe was more like a nightclub than a brunch spot — the floors were sticky, and there was no coffee or brunch cocktail menu. We had to order off-menu just to get a “regular” Bloody Mary, and it was awful. Sweet, like someone added sugar or artificial sweetener. We both took one sip and couldn’t drink it. Easily the worst Bloody Mary I’ve ever had. The food was much better. I had the catfish and grits, which were very good, and my partner had the gumbo, which was also solid. But the service was terrible. Our server, Crystal, didn’t check on us for at least 20 minutes after bringing the food. When we finished eating, we sat there trying to flag her down for the check with no luck. I eventually had to get up and ask for it, and even then it took another 5 minutes before she came back. On top of all that, they added a random $12 fee to the bill, so two entrees, a side of corn, and one bad Bloody Mary ended up costing $80. This place might be fine as a late-night bar, but for brunch it was a total miss. Between the sticky floors, awful drinks, nonexistent service, and hidden fees, I honestly have no idea how this place has 4.7 stars. Definitely would not recommend for brunch.

The food was great! The service was just okay. There was only one waitress for the entire restaurant, so I'm sure she was overwhelmed. I asked about a side item and she became frustrated not being able to answer the question. The floor was sticky, and the table we were seated at was dirty. There's so much more management can do to make this place better. But the food was 🤌🏾.

We only planned to stop in for a quick drink before heading to Beale Street, but we ended up staying all night because the experience was THAT good, thanks to our mixologist, Brooklyn! From the second we walked up to her bar, she greeted us with a warm welcome & expert-level service. Brooklyn balances professionalism with her fun personality and made everything into a top-quality experience! The happy hour prices were some of the best, and Brooklyn went above and beyond to make the night special. She offered me samples of two wines I was curious about, and I loved them so much I ended up with glasses of both throughout the night. On top of that, she surprised me with bday shots, got the bar to sing my birthday, and kept the energy upbeat the whole time. Brooklyn also gave us spot-on menu recommendations. The salmon nachos were expertly crafted, and hand-battered chicken tenders were delish! And don’t miss the gorgeous light displays over the bar, they make the whole space feel extra special. Even the bathroom decor contributes to the atmosphere! :) Thanks to Brooklyn, what started as a convenient stop next to our hotel turned into a birthday I’ll never forget. Highly recommend this spot, especially if you’re lucky enough to sit at her bar!

We found this place kind of by accident. If you've read any of my writings on restaurants you'll know I'm a food snob. I love great food. I found it here. I had the lamb chops. My wife had the shrimp and grits. Absolutely perfect. I've had lamb all around the Mediterranean and in Central America. I have greek women in the st louis mo area that make a mean leg of lamb. This was absolutely perfect. The best I've ever had. EVER. The shrimp and grits were the best outside of New Orleans I've ever tasted. The drinks were fantastic. Our server Jay treated us like family. Sweetie if you get to read this my glass was never empty and my heart was full. We'll come back again. The food was worth the trip.

Food was BOMB! Atmosphere was lovely. Very chill. Service was okay. I wish i had a different server cuz the other servers paid more attention to their customers. Mine was acting like she wanted to hurry up and get off..BEST COLLARD GREEN EGG ROLLS, BEST MAC & CHEESE EGGS ROLLS. BEST SALMON SALAD AND CATFISH PASTA I EVER HAD IN MY LIFE! What a cool place! There's parking around the corner on the street and in a garage. The food was great - we had the avocado toast and the omelette, the bacon was next level! Our server, Zoey, was so warm and helpful, and she told us about their theme nights (pizza night, etc) and event space upstairs -- We will totally go back!

Me and my girls went to Happy Hour Thursdays and had a time! We had made reservations for 7:15 online but didn’t realize until we got there they were only doing walk ins. Toya was our hostess and got us seated as soon as she could and was very accommodating since the website let us make a reservation. Food was bussin with the mac n cheese and lamb chops!

Went to memphis for less than 24 hours and got to try One11Madison. Food was great! Got the watermelon refresher and chicken&waffles. Ambiance was also good - very lounge bar vibes, fancy too. Justin was the server and he gave good recommendations.

I loved our experience! Came in on a Friday night and was sat right away. Drinks were good and strong. Food did take a while but the customer service was so great I did not mind. Every staff member checked on us several times. The food!!! The food was great! I will be back. New here from Dallas and glad to have stumbled across this gem.

We went for Sunday brunch with bottomless mimosas, which is upstairs, so be prepared to climb a couple of flights. The ambiance was lovely. We were able to purchase food separately. We both had the Paradise mimosas and the chicken and waffles. I also had breakfast potatoes. Our server/ bartender was on point with the mimosa refills and made sure we drunk every drop, lol. The food was pretty good. You can park at the Premium parking garage on the corner, $15+ for 2 hours. I look forward to returning for a few of the other "Experiences" listed on their website.

We had an awesome experience, the chicken was seasoned and fried to perfection. Our server checked on us several times, our plates were quickly cleared from the table but not in way that made us feel rushed. That bathroom is immaculately clean. There is a sign posted that a 20% service charge is added to the check.

Listen this is a long review because I need you understand throughly.Let's start with walking in and the aurora that filled the atmosphere, simply beautiful. We went to Thursday happy hour. Listen, we had a time and a time was had! The happy hour menu short and simple, no room for confusion. We ordered lamb chops, wings, a variety of sides and of course drinks! Whoever that bartender is he deserves a hug and a kiss! The drinks were giving what they needed to give. The food is incredible! Listen everyone can't prepare lamb but whoever the chef is did their big one. I am not a greens person however I stepped out of my comfort zone and ordered greens for my side dish. I thought my madea had come back from heaven to fix those greens so darn delicious had tears in my eyes. There was not one thing that was wrong. Everything was lit! Now the icing on the cake was the most delightful people you will ever meet, Justin. He made the entire first visit well worth and now a regular spot. When you go cause I know you going ask for Justin and don't forget to reserve your table. And please take positive energy to add to the atmosphere! Don't be a negative Nancy or Terrible Todd. I didn’t get a picture of all the food cause my folks was throwing down 🤣 Payment forms: not sure but our party used credit/debit.

A nice cozy spot for couples, and friends hanging out or just having some good ole comfortable southern food and listening to some live music. This was my first visit and I enjoyed the attentiveness of the waitress. The food was hot and delicious. My only negative was the mac and cheese was bland BUT overall I would go back for the catfish and the atmosphere. Next time I will try the wings. Also, parking is not an issue which is a plus.

I highly recommend this restaurant along with the other fabulous reviews. We are pork chops. I had never had them prepared this way. The servers were really busy, but they were friendly.

The food was fresh and good! Staff friendly! We went on a Sunday and they had gospel music playing, which I enjoyed. The new suga hot chicken was really good. We will be back when we are in the area!!!

The food here never disappoints. It's one of the few places I rarely think to take pictures of my food, I just dig right in! Baby, them porkchops be calling me! I don't eat fried foods often, but this place always makes me sin. I don't give 5 stars often, but baby, this one right here! We've been coming for years, so that says a lot.

We have been trying to eat here every time we come to Memphis and finally was able to have some Sunday lunch. What an experience, definitely will be back!! You can feel,from the first bite to the last, the love that goes into the prep and cook of all the meals. Amazing!

I do not agree with forced 20% tip! My tab was 60+ dollars after 20% added/forced DERBICE FEE AKA TIP... my bill was $85 Arrived 2 pm, ordered baked chicken dressing greens x 2. Friend ordered catfish fried okra etc. Drinks $15. Drinks are not strong to me. All Food great... . Greens were not.service slow was fair. I would have tipped $5 per person in this party of 3...not almost $25 between the two tickets. When you force a tip your staff does the bare minimum. We had to ask for forks, ask for the ticket, and not one single "check back on." So tip yes...but not 20% worthy on today's visit. Very small and dark. Food best part of visit. Please remove the mandatory tip

This was my first and last time visiting this restaurant/club or shall I say Club/restaurant. I appreciate these young men wanting to open up a business but learn how to run a successful restaurant. They have brunch but no eggs, bacon or sausage on the menu. They are serving high end dishes that absolutely do not equate to the prices. I had lamb chops, potatoes and waffles. The waffles were blonde, potatoes was diced so small and the lamb chops were the size of my thumb and they were hard and taste like a pork chop or neckbones (I couldn’t tell). The mimosas came in plastic cups I had to ask for garnish. We had plastic eating utensils. The owner/ cook came out with a very very wrinkled uniform. I made the best of the situation paid my bill enjoyed my friends BUT I WILL NEVER EVER RETURN Oh, the beignets were a hot mess It looked as if they were dipped in an extra batter and tastes As if they were fried in old grease. Placed my order online for my husband and I. The fish was so nasty, crunchy, and severely overcooked. The food was totally unacceptable. I guess you have to go inside the restaurant for good food. My husband and I have ate inside the restaurant several times and the food was great. That online order was totally unacceptable.

We hit up an amazing Black-owned gem tucked right in the heart of downtown Memphis. From the moment we walked in, it felt like I was at my cousin’s house—warm, welcoming, and full of love. The customer service? 10/10. The vibes? Immaculate. And that fish and okra? Baby, I’m convinced somebody’s grandma was in that kitchen throwin’ down! 😮‍💨🔥 Just what my soul needed on a Sunday. I’ll definitely be back again… and again.

EVERY time I come, this fried fish is top tier!!! Fire!! The picture doesn’t do it justice. Then they gave me some honey hot sauce on the side. Yall. Mmm, mmm LOL but seriously. I love the food and the vibes, and they showed love for my birthday!

This was a nice place to visit, very personable. The food wait was a little slow but it’s a small kitchen. I ordered the genre lamb which comes with potatoes and waffles. The lamb lollipops(I got 4) were small but it tasted good. The waffles were nice and crisp, I just wish they didn’t put my syrup on the waffle and/or gave me some on the side. Hubby had the grits and lamb, the grits were delicious and I usually want sugar but none was needed! That speaks volumes for me. The drinks were delicious and the staff were friendly. If I visit Memphis again I will be sure to go back!

First time visiting and will definitely come back. Our visit was on Taco Tuesday and they have Karaoke on Tuesdays as well. We were greeted immediately when we walked through the door. We sat on the outside however they have two other areas to sit. The DJ played all the hottest jams. The drinks and the food were 10/10. The food was so good we even purchased an extra meal Togo. The waitress had the best customer service it's been a while where I could say the food, drinks, and service were good but this is the time. If you like a chill adult location where there is no ratchetness visit The Genre with your boo or friends.

I've had such an amazing time at canvas, the food is sooo underrated!!! They support their local artists and djs often and it's such a fun atmosphere to be yourself. Don't sleep on the paint night events! Such a good experience for creativity and community.

Casey's karaoke nights are a blast! She really knows how to get the crowd going with her song choices and infectious energy. Bridget behind the bar is a gem, always serving up drinks with a smile and making sure everyone feel welcome. The patrons here are some of the friendliest and kindest I've met, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere that keeps me coming back. Whether you're looking for great entertainment or top-notch service, this place has it all! Highly recommend stopping by and experiencing it for yourself.

Being first a customer of this bar, then later being rallied in to be the karaoke host at this beautiful safe space for the last six years. I cannot express how humbled I am to be blessed with such a great energy. The customers here are top notch. We have such an amazing patronage. You guys make this bar everything. Super cool spot, love the atmosphere and vibe, they were doing painting night, which I assume is probably always? But I just sat and had a beer and watched. Service was a little slow but otherwise good, everyone was very friendly. Will be back.

Friday nights at Thrive are cool which is why I put them on the Edible Memphis Black-owned nightlife guide! I recently went for a birthday and honestly had a blast. We got there in time for happy hour which I enjoyed. Out table friend was really attentive and kept the drinks coming, all of our food was really good, and the DJ Alpha Whiskey was spinning. Birthdays seem to be a big thing here and with the amount of space available, y’all should check it out! We had chicken wings and fries, a Cobb salad and a burger with fries. All were very good! Drinks were strong! My only issue with them is for making those parking spaces in the front $20 a piece. Parking is already a hassle and Also, I think I saw security walk the lot and see people to their cars when they parked in the back. I like that.

The worse experience ever!!! The manager has a power problem. We were enjoying our time the waitress even said she was having a blast with us. The manager came and grabbed our chair and moved it. When we addressed her and informed her we were sitting in the chair she said she took it because she can. She then went forward and told the waitress/bartender to cash us out. We had another round of shots and the security came to our table and snatched our drinks, and receipts before we could sign and pay. The drinks were spilled all over us and they proceeded to try to kick us out. If you are visiting DO NOT GO!!

We went on a Sunday. We were having a good time enjoying each others company. Wait staff was good however management was horrible. Someone ordered hooka and then we were told our table time was up and we scheduled more time online but they then went and told us we had to leave and come back in and get reseated. We had spent alot of money and was continuing to do so. Karaoke was fun and crowd was cool but there were huge flies everywhere. The waiter did spray and move us to another table.

My family and I flew from different parts of the country to celebrate my sister’s birthday in Memphis. We made reservations for 3/14/25, her actual birth date. She has always wanted to go. It was a surprise. Well the surprise (joke) was on us because once we got there it was shut down down. I received a confirmation email. It would have been nice to receive an email or call stating that the venue was closed.

The food was definitely a 10/10. The vibe made me feel as if I was back home in Atlanta. I will definitely visit again. The owner was friendly and stopped by to talk to us frequently. If you aren’t use to spending a 100 plus for brunch then this isn’t the place for you. Come dressed to impress.

Today was my first time visiting and I was impressed! Great food, Great vibe, and the decor was absolutely beautiful. Everybody greeted you with a smile, even management. I will definitely be returning!

We went here for my sister inlaw birthday. All I can say is delicious. Staff was on point, and our waitress was amazing. Grown folks only!!!

I'm trying to like it, but it seems like their website, Google maps, and Facebook all have wrong hours. Never been before, still haven't. Looks cool, but if closed and no contact and no obvious reasons...tough. Can't give a 1star though cause I don't hate it lol. Just unfortunate. Edit: So I finally got to actually visit the place. To be honest the kindness and the awesomeness of the bartender very much offset the negatives that I found out about this place. And the vibe. The piano and the music is far too loud for the space. It's good, but it's really loud. It's hard to talk to the bartender, it's hard to talk to other people, but it's very good, but it's also very loud. I ordered a chrysanthemum, and it was a little strong on the absinthe, a little heavy-handed on the absinthe, but the bartender is really nice. The orange twist was more like an orange chunk. But the kindness of the bartender, and I cannot stress this enough, the humanity in the bartenders kindness totally offsets most of this to be honest. We're all human and sometimes you get a problem customer or specific order like myself. The bathroom door lock was weird. Sometimes it would not lock. If I lived within walking distance, I would definitely go here a lot although I don't live within walking distance.

The best low-key lounge in Memphis. The red lighting never becomes a nuisance and the drinks taste amazing. Allie is an amazing bartender and legit is the first time I had a drink where I didn't feel like I was sipping rubbing alcohol. David taking requests with his love piano. If I had to think of a negative it would be that on google it says it opens at 7, but doors didn't open until roughly 7:45. Also you will 9/10 times might have to park at the movie theater across the street. Regardless 100% worth going to!

Went here as a stop for a Bachelorette party...It was an EXCELLENT decision. Pianist was extremely accommodating with requests and our level of inebriation. He was super talented too!

The bartender, Ali, is absolutely amazing! The atmosphere is perfect for drinks with friends. Great place to come and relax and listen to local artists play music. On the weekends, you can catch a chill, relaxing vibe or have dj night which is a great change in pace! All is welcome and it truly feels like family!

I was honestly going to give them a 5 star rating up UNTIL extra funds were taken off of my card. I’ve reached out to them but still haven’t received a response about this matter. If you plan to go the atmosphere is nice but keep ALL receipts. When you check your card statements you may find out someone has added an extra tip to your check.

A variety of mixed drinks, but can’t say they were well mixed. The tabs on the other hand were well mixed, seeing as I ended up with a $70 tab for drinks I did not purchase. Despite all that, the bartender was still wonderful. Definitely no complaints about the doggo who shined on the dance floor.

Hopping little piano bar with a groovy vibe. Good crowd and the piano man tried his best to play everything he was asked. There was even a dog!

It ain’t what it used to be. The vibe is awful. The bathroom situation is disgusting. The service is awful. We were there all of 20 mins. No food. No drinks. No server. No greeting. Nothing. It was probably 30 people in attendance and they wanted us to pay for a booth. Pay to sit 1 foot higher than everyone. I wish I would. If it was live or turned up and the vibe was right we would have considered it. We will not be coming back. Terribly overpriced for the atmosphere. Security was sweet though. Heads up ladies DO NOT WEAR HEELS OF YOU CANT TIP TOE OVER GRATES CIZ YOU WILL FALL going to the bathroom that is outside. I repeat the stairs to the bathroom is nothing but grate material YOU WILL FALL OR THE HEEL WILL GET STUCK.

Everything were nice. The only thing I didn’t like was that they give you very small portion of food. I order a lamb chop plate the price was decent for $24 dollars. It just felt like I were eating a kids meal.

Maybe it’s me but $20+ dollars on a shot of Don Julio Repasado in Memphis, Tn is outrageous. Glad I’m not broke but that’s weird and to add to the fact that there are port-a-potties for the restroom and we in midtown???????? Do better! On a Thursday at that! Gtfoh

I had a GREAT TIME here! The music was a good mix of new and old hip hop and R&B. The vibe was fun and welcoming. The food was simply delicious. I came from Chicago and for a bar/lounge the food is YUMMY! I ordered the wings and waffle, and WOW! The only downfall is there is a big difference with being sat in the back or front area near the DJ. There was no one to greet at in the front so we had to walk in to the back to get service. Overall, we had a GREAT TIME!!

This was my first time there and I must say the Vibe was great! The food came hot and it was very tasty. The drinks definitely did not disappoint us. And let me add the DJ was on point. He had selections for all ages. I'm a seasoned lol woman and he had me dancing. Staff was very pleasant and tentative to your needs. Definitely a place to return to. Great asset to the Memphis area 🥰❤️

We made reservations for a (free) booth on Sunday night . We arrived and were seated . The booth that we sat in wasn’t big enough for the amount of people on our reservation so we were moved to a bigger booth. We made reservations for 8pm and someone else in our party made a reservation for 10pm. All were previously done and confirmed upon arrival. We sat during our first time block and as the 10pm time came we were told our time was up and we needed to move to the back of the establishment. I reminded the host that she confirmed both reservations and she said oh she remembered. She then came back and said that because we wanted to continue the second half of our stay that the manager instructed her to advise us to spend $250 to continue staying seated. No one informed us of this prior to us sitting down when we arrived. I asked for the manager and she stated that the manager hadn’t arrived yet . May I add we were the only people in the whole building other than 3 people sitting at the bar ! Another party arrived at 10 and sat next to us in a booth . The host informed us that the party that had just arrived needed the booth they were in along with the booth we were currently in. Every other booth in there was EMPTY ! Besides this our server came and took drink orders and food and hookah and all of those things were brung out by someone else and the server came back by our table once the whole time we were there . We had to continuously got to the bar to place orders. She showed back up conveniently when this situation occurred to see if we wanted our tickets !!! So instead of being moved to the back to tables we opted to leave ! The service was poor ! The rudeness & business ethics were poor and we expected a better form of customer service. More popular people arrived whom the host knew and they wanted the booth we were in and she pretty much tried to play crazy like we didn’t make a reservation to make it convenient for the people who had just arrived. The management sucks at customer service as well . We will not be returning

My server was slow. I ordered a vodka sour and had all sour no vodka. The hookah was free but was not blowing any smoke. The food was cold and not good. I do not recommend for a lounge place. If you book for a booth you only get 2 hours from when you sit down. Do not forget that I said the server was slow now. About an hour and 2 drinks and a shot later is $69. I do not mind paying for drinks but at least give me some to work with.

I visited on 8/29/25 and was one of the first customers. I ordered a beer listed at $7 and decided to keep a tab open in case I wanted another. I didn’t end up ordering a second drink and closed out my tab. I didn’t receive a receipt at the time (which I should have asked for), but I trusted the charge would be $7 plus tax. When I checked my bank statement the next morning, I saw a charge of $24. I have no idea why, and I’m not sure if this has happened to anyone else, but I wanted to bring it to other customers’ attention. This is exactly why I usually don’t like keeping a tab open, but I thought I’d give it a try. Unfortunately, I won’t be doing that again.

Super stupid interaction at the door with the little doorman with the cat-lady glasses. Owner was pretty cool, all things considered. I hope everyone finds happiness, broh. Don't spread shxt you don't know about. Be cool, and walk with God. Congrats on a sold out show, that's very special. I'm praying for everyone.

Great live music, interesting crowd, be sure to check out the authentic food stalls outside if they’re open. Good local beer on tap (check out the stout - gotta get up to get down)

This is a really great place to see a band, enjoy a few drinks, and catch up with friends. A favorite of Memphis musicians, and the drinks keep flowing. The sound system is fantastic. Definitely worth checking out, if you are near Minglewood Hall. Live music almost every night, except for Sundays.

Your glass will never be empty, your feet will never stop dancing, your ears will never stop ringing. B-Side has a great stage setup, a live video feed, a well positioned pool table, a well stocked bar, great employees and a helluva lotta fun.

Had a really nice time and had a comedy show and won Nashville vs Memphis . Love the atmosphere and the drinks. Will definitely be back

First time visit on 6/2/24 for a birthday brunch. Party of about 20 had a reservation. Staff didn’t seem prepared. The servers I encountered were not very knowledgeable about the menu items in question. One server stated she had only been working there two days so she didn’t know anything. My mom and I ordered the mimosa bottle. I also ordered the greens with Cajun turkey necks from the brunch menu. There is a regular menu that you can order from as well. The food here is really, really good! I didn’t get food pics though 😞. I also tasted my sister’s food ( seafood pasta & chargrilled oysters )!!! And I had a shot of patron! I will definitely try again without a large party!

I’m just over blk own restaurant and the non sense and foolishness. I understand it’s a lounge but sometimes we wanna eat our $100 meals and be able to just talk to the person next to us without screaming over the music. We were a table of 5 each ticket over $100 and the experience just wasn’t pleasant for the price. As u can see from the pic the oysters were OVERCOOKED. Let’s not talk about the strawberry Hennessy in a coupe glass. And the crawfish dip, I tried to add hot sauce to even consume it. Needless to say I LEFT hungry. The 3 items pictured was $110 😩

It’s a weird atmosphere but I’m here at 4:00 on a Thursday. So that’s probably on me. The shrimp and grits to go but tasted a quick bite and they were really Yummy. I got the Divinchi Oysters and they were SO GOOD I had to try the garlic parm ones too. I told my server to surprise me with a flavored vodka drink and she brought me a delicious cocktail. It’s worth a try- I know they’re new. I hope they succeed!

So..... I really wanted to like this spot, unfortunately i didn't. I am writing this review as constructive criticism and hopefully they will learn from this. Starting with the gator bites, the cost was 18 dollars, the bites were small and it was maybe 7 mixed in with jalapenos and onions 😐 I went to ben yahs right now the way and paid less for more..... Much more. I felt cheated from this establishment. The oysters were not cooked well, a little over done. The ambiance is very nice. They have really good music and drinks.

This restaurant was horrible . From the moment I walked in to the moment I left . All the workers were ghetto except the manager. One even had on a bonnet. 😒Everything on the menu is not fresh iits frozen . They believe that frozen broccoli 🥦 out of a bag is broccolini lol so I didn’t pay for that . The girl at the bar kept getting mad because all of her customers was getting upset with her service . It’s so much more I could say but I don’t feel like typing it all . My food was nasty and I will never go back again .

I wish I could give a ZERO STARS the entire day shift need to be replaced. I wish i could manage this place by the time I got to addressing every single violation they all would have had some act right where’s management do you all not know not know that they are playing around your place of business like this. This is BAD BUSINESS DATE VISIT: 3/13/2025 “DAY SHIFT” And then the waiter told us the system was down and that we had to pay via CASHAPP OR APPLEPAY OR CASH *STEALING*

If I could give this place 0 stars I definitely would. This was my worst experience in Memphis on my work trip. I work for a well known Grammy award winning artist, and we were referred here. We tried to support local black businesses only to get ignored and denied service because we did not want to give a waitress money so we could speak to the owner to have my artist accommodated. This waitress even pushed me out of her way and yelled at me to watch where I was standing. I have never been to an establishment that treats customers this bad. The waitresses were nasty and rude. They act and look like they are drunk or on drugs. Not to mention, the last time I had to pick up an order for my team and everyone got violently ill from their food. Seafood tasted sour and oysters are NOT fresh. Stay FAR away from here unless you want a stomach virus and to be treated like a degenerate. Definitely considering legal action against this place and the waitress who assaulted me.

Living at the flats has been a great experience. The location is right in the heart of downtown Memphis. There is easy walkable access to local restaurants, shops, the historic Beale street, Fed Ex Forum, Auto Zone and Tom Lee Park. The apartments are modern with up to date appliances. There is key fob access so I always feel safe in the building. The staff is professional and are always quick to respond to any maintenance request. The management team dies an excellent job of keeping the property maintained. There is a gym that is right across the complex, and a nice common area with wi-fi access, comfortable seating, and access to gas grills. I have been here for about 4 years now and highly recommend this place. Feels like home.

I love my apartment! I’ve been at Van Vleet Flats going on two years and appreciate the management team and friendly and attentive maintenance staff! We have events on the courtyard, giveaways, and pop ups year round!

My First Apartment & I’m in Love! Moving into my first apartment was a huge step, and I couldn’t have picked a better place than my one-bedroom flat in downtown Memphis. The space is just perfect for one person. So cozy but with plenty of room to feel comfortable and at home. One of my favorite things? The amazing patio. It’s a perfect spot to relax with a coffee in the morning or unwind in the evening. Plus, being just steps away from some of the coolest local eateries and shops is a total game-changer. You can walk out your door and find something new and exciting every day. Even though it’s right downtown, I feel completely safe, which was super important for me as a first-time renter. The maintenance team is top-notch, fast, respectful, and reliable. And the leasing office staff? So kind, so helpful, and genuinely welcoming. You can tell they care about their residents. If you’re looking for a great place to call home in Memphis, I can’t recommend this place enough. It’s been everything I hoped for and more!

The front office staff are some of the kindest, most professional people I’ve ever encountered—always welcoming with a smile and ready to help. Any concern I’ve had, no matter how small, has been handled quickly and with care. It’s rare to find that kind of responsiveness and genuine hospitality. The neighbors here are just as amazing—friendly, respectful, and always up for a quick hello or helping hand. It really feels like a community, not just a place to live. Between the beautiful apartment layout, peaceful environment, and the incredible people who work and live here, I can truly say this is my dream apartment. I couldn’t ask for a better place to call home!

I’ve lived here a little over a year now. My favorite thing about my unit is the amount of space. It’s hard finding spacious apartments downtown, so when I saw this one, I jumped at it. The front office staff is nice and very accommodating, and maintenance issues are usually resolved within 1-2 business days max.

Christa and the team at Downtown Memphis Flats have been a pleasure to interact with so far. After an unexpected moving fiasco that brought my items here sooner than anticipated, Christa and her associates worked with me to ensure all of my items were moved into my unit safely. The unit was in fantastic condition upon arrival and is in a great location for exploring downtown Memphis. Highly recommend renting with Downtown Memphis Flats!

I feel very safe at the flats. Prime location. GREAT residents! Amazing leasing team. It feels like home for someone one not from the south. I have lived at multiple downtown properties and this is the most cost efficient while still feeling luxury.

Came with a friend for a friends wedding. Atmosphere and drinks were nice except for the server. Before we were even halfway done with our drinks, he walked up to us and passive-agressively asked "if there was a problem with the service, because people usually tip." We said we had no problem with leaving him a tip, and that we could leave him a cash tip. He then responded by saying he usually gets paid for his work -- as if we didn't pay for our overpriced drinks. We offered again to leave a cash tip to which he again responded passive aggressively. You would expect a place that gets many different people from many parts of the state (and even country) to receive guests with more hospitality. Think twice before you come here unless you gave a LOT of money to spend nowhere else. I was very insulted by his remark and just left.

Stopped by when in town visiting. My first time there. Delicious cocktails ,wonderful atmosphere, and super cool bartender. (Forgot his name, Nick maybe?) Highly recommend and will definitely be back!

Wonderful employees who are enthusiastic and passionate about their craft and provide service with care and respect. Bar 409 is one of the nicest bars in Memphis, great for dates and also for casual hangouts.

This place is fantastic! My husband and I came in for a few drinks and everything we had was wonderful. Service was fast and the bartender Nick was attentive and fun. We will definitely be coming back!
