There was a disruption with the terminal at the register and the servers were so nice! They apologized a lot and gave another dish as a sorry for their mistake. I wasn’t originally very offended, as this happens a lot, but it touched me to see how much they tried to fix their mistake. Love this place! Always have adored the food!
Tatum H — Google review
The food is very good The staff is somewhat friendly however they always serve fresh food and it's always delicious every time you get it . This is a pretty good place to eat I go there once a week I would recommend this place to anybody
Michael M — Google review
this place gets pretty busy. The food is exceptional quality, but you will have to wait a little bit. there is phenomenal decorations and it’s a good place to have a party. They do a lot of DoorDash so the place can be a lot busier than it looks when you walk in the best time to go is either early right when they open or late in the evening.
William C — Google review
The Shrimp Fried Rice and the pan fried dumplings (Gyoza) was delicious. Food was fresh and hot.
JARIA C — Google review
Anna our server greeted us with a smile and made sure we had everything we needed! We came in right before closing and were seated and had within 10 minutes of ordering! We had some sushi rolls and shrimp fried rice and chicken and shrimp teriyaki.
Dale T — Google review
I love that my food is always fresh coming from all of the locations but this one (Park Ave) always over cook my steak. I mean to the point I can’t chew it. Everything and I mean everything else here is delicious and amazing except for the steak. I can’t say whether or not I’ll return but right now I’d rather find another restaurant that will cook my steak to my liking because driving to the Kirby location is going out of my way. I do encourage everyone to try this location, this is just my recurring experience and I eat here frequently.
Codename K — Google review
My food was not good, I feel they cooked it super fast, because they were very busy.

Sushi restaurant
Nestled in the heart of Memphis, Red Koi Japanese Cuisine is a delightful family-owned restaurant that has garnered a loyal following over the years. This charming eatery combines rustic elegance with contemporary flair, offering an inviting atmosphere perfect for enjoying authentic Japanese dishes and innovative sushi rolls. Each meal is crafted to order using only the finest ingredients, ensuring a fresh and flavorful experience every time you visit.
Came here spontaneously - food was great and the lady at the counter was very nice. They don’t have crab rangoons on their menu, but they made some for us. Sushi was really good and fresh. Highly recommend!
Amberly S — Google review
It was decent, and I was impressed by their chicken roll options. I tried their regular baked salmon rolls and regular fried shrimp tempura rolls. The regular shrimp tempura rolls didn't have much fried taste, and the sauce over the rolls was a bit too much, changing the roll taste. Thanks to the restaurant for the complimentary Egg roll. It tasted really good.
Swats — Google review
Excellent service, good food. On Saturday, we had to wait for a table for three, more than half an hour, so take care of steel in advance. Hot sake is excellent, rolls are also good. I liked sapura too.
Vladimir — Google review
I got the ridgeway sushi roll & it was recommended by one of the servers. I loved the spring rolls and my hibachi meal. This place is always packed , so get there early and be prepared to wait. It’s worth it though.
Terrica — Google review
The Oyakudon Donburi Mono was great! The eggs, and the chicken were very delicious and the portion was huge! I replaced the white rice with fried rice and it was great 👍🏾 The Katsudon Donburi was good but not as good, because we didn’t swap the white rice.
Andersontrey — Google review
If you love sushi, you better go here!! I couldn’t stop eating these!! Do not plan to share, they’re too good!! The rolls were to go and had a twenty minute drive before being consumed and it was still so amazing!! Perfect rolls, and perfect sizing!! Roughly $25 with a tip.
Mandi F — Google review
Great food. Wish they had a dedicated pickup for takeout. Never had a bad meal here. Fast service.
Tulio B — Google review
Absolutely phenomenal experience at Red Koi! I was visiting from Nashville and stopped in for dinner—this place is officially a must-visit anytime I’m in town. I had the Rolls Royce roll, and it was hands-down one of the best sushi rolls I’ve ever had. The atmosphere is amazing—relaxed, modern, and welcoming. The staff was incredibly friendly and made me feel right at home. Whether you're a local or just passing through, Red Koi is 100% worth the stop. Can’t wait to come back!

If you're on the hunt for a delightful Japanese dining experience in Memphis, look no further than Sekisui Midtown. This modern eatery is a haven for sushi lovers, offering an impressive selection of rolls, noodles, and traditional lunch boxes that cater to every palate. Whether you crave the simplicity of White Tuna Nigiri or the bold flavors of a Dynamite Roll, Sekisui has something to satisfy your cravings.
This place was amazing. The price is well worth the quality of food. Definitely will be coming here again! I only wish I could give more than 5 stars on everything!

The health department is involved, but the kitchen in this place is disgusting. One of their own employees finally alerted the health department and they were fired and threatened by owners. The image below is 100% real and one of many disgusting peeks into the disgusting conditions hidden from customers.
Patch T — Google review
A true midtown Memphis staple. In addition to the relaxing, family-friendly atmosphere, Jon and Sean always deliver amazing service, and the menu is expansive and excellent! So many sushi rolls to choose from. On this particular visit, I ate 1/3 of my body weight in vegetable tempura and followed it up with an incredible vegetarian roll, and washed down with Junmai Gingo sake. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a great Japanese restaurant!
Robbie H — Google review
Great place to eat sashimi in Memphis. And also daily special nigiris seem to be great. I'll go there again for them. In my first visit I tried Chirashi lunch special, which comes with a variety of sashimi on top of typical sour sushi rice.
Jin-Young L — Google review
Ive eaten sushi all over the country and SekiSui midtown remains my favorite. Always a solid choice. The Jacksonville, Margot, house cucumber, and Debra roll. Nigiri regular and Uni(sea Urchin) nigiri. Miso soup and house salad. Adding more pics from another amazing meal.
Hunter D — Google review
Pretty good sushi, pretty expensive , but lots of options. Service wasn't the best. Music was extremely annoying the whole time we wanted to leave because the music makes you agitated. Insulting hip hop/gangster music doesn't give any restaurant a nice atmosphere.
Chrisinda M — Google review
I ordered a chicken teriyaki as well as a sushi dinner. Based on my experience, the food was mediocre at best. I do not recommend the chicken as it is very stiff compared to regular chicken. However, the sushi was decent and worth trying.
Elaine L — Google review
I’m not sure how to put it into words, but this is the only seikisui in Memphis as I’m concerned. The food, clearly, the best, the staff, there is no comparison to the other locations. Laid back, not a long wait and great bar and sushi chefs. The possibilities are endless!

My daughter & I had lunch there today. My first time, but she has been there before. I LOVE the atmosphere - the decor, the gigantic TV playing cool music videos...even the women's restroom was the coolest restroom I've ever been in! Our server, Nancy, was fantastic. Very welcoming & attentive. And the food was amazing! Beautifully presented & tasted just as good as it looked. My daughter had ramen & sushi, I had punk rock sushi, & we shared a jalapeno poppers appetizer. Can't wait to eat there again!

Rock N Roll Sushi review We stopped by Rock N Roll Sushi with the kids, and overall it was a great experience especially for a sushi place that’s also family-friendly! Kids’ Meal Highlights: • Options were fun and familiar, like chicken tenders, rice, and shrimp • Presentation was colorful and appealing, which helped encourage even picky eaters to try something new. • They loved the rock-themed atmosphere fun music and cool decor made it an entertaining environment. • Service was kind and patient with the kids, which made a big difference. Overall: Great place for families who want to enjoy sushi without leaving the kids out. Definitely worth a visit!
Lynsey E — Google review
I loved the look of the place! Staff was super friendly, food was great. Definitely will be back!
Kitteh M — Google review
Our first time eating here walked in and was seated immediately. All of the booth seats were ripped or torn, just from customer traffic, I'm assuming. Great selection on the menu with lots of variety. We ordered miso soup, filet mignon and shrimp hibachi, ginger salad, Cajun crawfish roll, and shrimp tempura roll, which were all really good. The crispy wonton were ok, not the best, but only because I'm not a fan of how they are fried. Not very busy, seemed to be one waiter and 2 or 3 kitchen staff, but service was very timely.
J S — Google review
Absolutely love Rock N Roll Sushi! From the moment you walk in, the vibrant atmosphere and friendly staff make you feel right at home. Their sushi rolls are simply amazing—fresh, inventive, and perfectly crafted. The Rock N Roll Roll is a personal favorite, packed with flavor and a great balance of ingredients. I also appreciate their variety of options, catering to both traditional and adventurous tastes. Prices are reasonable, and the quality is consistently top-notch. Whether you're a sushi aficionado or a newcomer, this place delivers an unforgettable dining experience. Highly recommend for anyone looking for fantastic sushi and a fun vibe! Five stars all the way!
Ayden H — Google review
I have eaten at a few of the RNR Sushi locations and they have always been good. The sushi always tastes fresh and they have good options for both raw and cooked versions of their dishes. They have a nice selection of appetizers and some other dishes too, if sushi happens not to be your thing. Overall a good sushi spot and I would go back.
Jackie D — Google review
I come here 1-2 times a month, and the food and service are general pretty good. But that was not the case on my last visit. We had to wait a few mins for a table to be cleaned…generally not a big deal, but they were far from busy. I ordered an appetizer that never came. Our server never really checked on us. We waited around 45mins+ for our rolls…we saw at least two different tables come in, get seated, eat and leave before we got our rolls. We ordered three rolls. 2/3 were still pretty good, the third, the rice was old/hard that the roll wouldn’t even hold together. If I based this review just on my last visit, it would’ve been 1 star. I just hope things improve if/when I ever come back.

South Main Sushi & Grill is a popular spot known for its fresh and high-quality Japanese plates, sushi, and drinks. The restaurant offers a modern and stylish ambiance with both indoor and outdoor seating options. It caters to various dietary preferences with vegan and vegetarian choices. Whether dining in or opting for takeout, the full bar and vibrant atmosphere make it an ideal place to enjoy a night out on South Main.
Chairs are a bit uncomfortable but perhaps that is only a personal preference. Sushi was very good. Flavorful and well wrapped. Rolls came out quickly and drinks were refilled without having to ask. Edamame was crunchy and filled the time before the sushi arrived.
Stephanie T — Google review
The Good Nice bar area, with friendly bar tends. The Bad The quality of the sushi was comparable to Kroger. Small rolls with little to no taste. We were all very disappointed. If you're local or even visiting the area, I would recommend Saltwater Crab for Sushi.
Daniel N — Google review
Smaller portions for price, little overcooked. Great staff, easy location. Sauce up charge for tiny amounts!!!
Frank L — Google review
My kids went to a homecoming dance and we went were looking for a place to go, and. We randomly picked this place.. The food was amazing... better than Benihanas or any place I've been to in Memphis! We will be back!
Rebecca D — Google review
I got takeout on a weeknight during Covid-19 times. They were very accommodating and helped me make an order. Side salad with ginger dressing and miso soup were very good. Sushi was very good as well, raw seemed very fresh and eel was very tasty. I’ll be back!
David S — Google review
Fast service and tasty sushi—I appreciated the extensive menu offerings. Nice cocktails, too!
Grace C — Google review
Had high hopes for this place but unfortunately was disappointed! The service was very slow, and it took a few minutes for anyone to see us at the door and get us seated. The raw fish here isn’t very good quality, so any sushi we ordered with raw fish was pretty mediocre. However, the pikachu roll with eel was pretty good! Hopefully will be better in the future.

Bluefin is a contemporary and inviting establishment that offers an innovative sushi menu, an extensive selection of long drinks, and a variety of Asian fusion dishes. With its modern lounge-like atmosphere, this restaurant provides a unique dining experience. It is known for its diverse menu options, where sushi takes center stage. One of their most popular rolls even bears the name of Gary Parrish from ESPN 92.9.
My children and I came here to celebrate my son's 16th birthday. The food was amazing; especially the sushi rolls. It's been several years since the last time we came to this restaurant. Though it appears to have new owners, they didn't miss a beat. We had the top floor to ourselves, and it was nice. We will be returning. You have to try the sushi rolls. They are AMAZING! 😊
Shajuana M — Google review
Prime location, outdoor seating is ideal for people watching on this main street. The service was quick. Nothing really stood out about this place. I ordered a sushi roll but never received it, my server hadn't put it in, he recalled as he was presenting the check, offered it to go..but I wasn't interested in room temperature sushi.
Stacie — Google review
I was not pleased with the price, service, or quality of food. Our waiter was not very professional or trained. It took forever to get our drinks, take our order and get food. The prices were way too high for the amount of food received. And it did not taste good at all! The rolls were not worth the order. Small and thrown together. The shrimp fried rice in the picture below was the size of a small appetizer for $15.99. It taste like soy sauce that's it... No real flavor! This place has really gone down! Negative rating if possible. I left a large tip because I just didn't have the time to wait for change. Everything else took so long. I didn't have the time to fuss about the service or food either.
Jennifer M — Google review
Sushi was amazing, service as well however "korean bibimbap" that they had was inedible and calling it a "bibimbap" is almost offensive. Flavorless, burnt rice mixed with chicken and some fried vegetables. The cook didn't even bother to serve it the way original bibimbap is served. Just stick with japanese food :)
Harmony B — Google review
Very nice atmosphere, surprisingly slow (not busy) for how tasty it is, but it's next to some other REALLY GOOD restaurants. The service was friendly, and the good was good!
Ashley H — Google review
Some of the food was luke warm. some was nice but main course arrived too early when we were having the soup. note wine not chilled but could have been worse.
Katie L — Google review
Bluefin was an awesome experience we had a great bartender and the sushi was incredible. The restaurant is directly off the main street trolley line runs right infront of the building. The atmosphere was cozy at the bar and the staff where very friendly.

Tempura restaurant
Sakura Japanese Restaurant in East Memphis offers a delightful dining experience that combines a relaxed atmosphere with an impressive menu of sushi rolls and traditional Japanese dishes like tempura and teriyaki. Known for their enormous and creatively crafted rolls, such as the Joyce roll, diners often find themselves challenged to finish even one due to their generous portions. Many patrons rave about the quality of the sushi here, claiming it surpasses all other options in the area.
First time having lunch here and the experience was amazing. The food came out fast and well decorated. The waitress was very nice and attentive. Definitely a good spot to hang out with friends and family.

We had a very nice dinner. The food was good. It was super packed and I think they were understaffed so it took longer than expected. Our server did amazing condisedering the large parties that she was also catering to. The rolls were super massive. 4 rolls could easily feed three different people. I will be back and look forward to trying all the things. My girlfriend gave it two thumbs up. Will be back.
Hunter D — Google review
Saw this restaurant as I was driving to my hotel. I ordered the Sashimi dinner. The presentation was so pretty and came out quickly. included soup and salad. Very good. Service was good as well.

My absolute favorite sushi restaurant! My go to is the Quasimoto roll. The best service too. I only wish they were in Nashville and/or Hendersonville, TN.
Bobby W — Google review
This is the worst Sakura Restaurant I've ever been to. The waiter was the most annoying person I've ever dealt with in my life. It took 15 minutes just to serve the Spring Rolls (which were delicious) with barely anyone else in the dining area. Started off on the complete wrong foot with them not even having Sweet Tea readily available then 20 minutes into the wait the server comes back out to verify what protein I wanted in my Yaki-Yudon because there ARE two menus that aren't clear at all and the dinner one states Yaki-Yudon come with chicken which is the one I ordered but he mistook it for a Hibachi Order. Twice I almost just left but I decided I'd let my patience win this one. The Yaki-Yudon itself wasn't the best but not the worst and DEFINITELY not worth the irritation getting it right. Other than that the atmosphere is decent and I wish I knew the napkin supplier because they're the best I've ever seen in any noodle restaurant.
Michael R — Google review
Not a good experience at all. We ordered online and asked for no fish eggs, no mayonnaise on or in anything. We got everything covered in fish eggs. Even the vegetarian futomaki had fish eggs on the end pieces due to their lack of QC. They probably use the orange-dyed grossness to cover the poor quality of the fish. Even the Cali roll had barely any crabstick in it and that fake crab! Service at the restaurant was also poor; went to pick up and the staff just stared without even a hello until we went to the bar (no signs to tell you to go to the bar, no staff pointed it out or anything). Complete waste of money. Edit-restaurant did refund for the rolls we trashed (most of our order) which was appreciated.
J. K — Google review
The sushi is phenomenal as well as other menu items. HUGE rolls. Quality is consistent every time I've been. Great service.

So this place is fanastic. We went here after the cherry blossom festival at the botanical garden's food trucks ran out of food (lame). We started of with spirits, we had the hana awaka sake, it was sweet, smooth, and chilled. It didn't taste like alcohol at all (7%). I also had the Santory whisky, it had a powerful whisky flavor with a much smoother sensations and only a bit of warmth when it gets to the stomach. Next we had appetizers, tempura chicken meal came with a house salad and soup, i paid additional for the seafood soup and it did not disappoint. I highly recommend the salad with the ginger dressing its sweet and not overpowering. We also had gyoza and yakitori both were very good but the yakitori won out. Our main courses arrived and had wonderful presentation. My tempura chicken with fried veggies was a little underwhelming but it isn't something I normally order in the first place. My wife's ramen was delicious and was more food than she could handle. For dessert the waitress brought us the menu where we picked strawberry icecream with lychee jelly. It was more or less like boba. The flavor was spot on though it was like concentrated lychee. All in all i give it 5/5 hands down.

Nestled in the heart of Memphis, Sekisui East stands out as a vibrant and modern Japanese eatery that captures the essence of authentic cuisine. With an extensive menu featuring everything from sushi rolls to comforting noodles and delightful lunch boxes, this restaurant is a haven for food lovers. Guests can indulge in fresh seaweed salad, spicy crawfish, and unique offerings like lamb teriyaki or soft shell crabs.
My wife and myself come here on average twice a month for date night. Marjory and Yuseff are great hosts and the food is always fantastic with rotating weekly specials. I have scoured the surrounding areas and this is the best by far. Not too fancy or trendy just great service and sushi, oh and apparently they have a great hot menu though I have only done the sushi.

18$ for "to go" chicken teriyaki with at best, a 1/4 of a small Chicken Breast. Nah. Last time.

Sekisui East is my favorite restaurant! Not just for sushi, but in general! I probably go more often than I should… but it’s difficult to pass up an opportunity to eat such delicious food and experience great service!

When the sushi urge hits Sekisui East, never fails to satisfy the craving. They have a daily fresh board with amazing fresh sashimi offerings. Chef gentle moves me from a cooked sushi customer, to exploring more authentic uncooked options.

Delicious, truly one of the best meals I have ever had! Chef cooks with love and you can tell in the food! Little more pricy than other options but definitely worth the extra! 10/10 will be back!

Sekisui East is one of three Sekisui restaurants in the Memphis area. All three are good and all three, curiously but in a good way, are allowed some autonomy when it comes to décor, menus, specials and other things. Of the three, East is my personal favorite. The restaurant has more windows and is quite well-lit -- a welcome change from just about every other sushi place in town (including its sister restaurants) that shows confidence in its products, preparation and staff. And they should be confident, because the sushi and the service is very good. The sushi menu is deep but easy to navigate and covers all the bases. Servers are quick to get your order, help with product descriptions, and generally pleasant to deal with. I like raw sushi, and can speak to the good quality of the tuna and the salmon. Nigiri and sashimi are fresh-smelling, served just below room temp and taste rich and clean. Rolls are well-constructed and well-filled with generous portions of fish. If they're not too busy, the very friendly chefs will make personalized rolls with ingredients of your choosing (within reason). Tipping the sushi bar is recommended -- they earn it.

Very good sushi and usually not extremely busy. The women's restroom has a cool toilet so my wife tells me. The food has been consistently great every time I eat there. My wife and I have been eating here at least once a month for a few years now.

Red Fish, located at 1433 Union Ave, Memphis, TN 38104-3626, offers Asian and sushi cuisine. The restaurant has received mixed reviews with an average rating of 3.0 out of 5 based on 14 reviews. Customers have praised the delicious food, friendly staff, and tasty drinks. Some mentioned that the portions were large and the service was quick. However, there were comments about slow drink service and unavailability of certain drinks.
Red Fish Sushi in Olive Branch was a fun and flavorful experience. I had the Spider‑Man, Superman, and Batman rolls—each one packed with bold flavors, great texture, and fresh ingredients. The presentation was on point, and the service was friendly. If you like creative specialty rolls with a fusion twist, this place is definitely worth a visit.

Red fish always provides pretty excellent food and tonight was no exception. Service left a little to be desired. Our server was very professional and knowledgeable but after he dropped our food off it was a very long time until he returned. We had someone chase him down for drink refills, but still excellent food as always.
Craig N — Google review
We tried this place on a whim and won’t be returning. Their “house” salad is wet iceberg drenched in cheap dressing. Skip it. The clear soup lacks depth of flavor. I should’ve tried the miso instead. The vegetable tempura is average but lacks any seasoning. We tried two rolls. The crunchy tuna roll wasn’t chilled at all and was mushy. I think it must have been pre-made and sitting out. Not good at all. The spicy yellowfin roll was the only really good part of the meal. Definitely made to order and tasty. The general Tso’s chicken has an unusual flavor. Sweeter and a mild bbq flavor. Decent but not great. The fried rice doesn’t have the veggies and egg you’d expect. It tastes like plain rice with a darker hue. Server is attentive and friendly,

My two daughters and I recently dined at Red Fish for the first time. The food was enjoyable, and our server, Ava, provided pleasant and attentive service. Our bill totaled $75.96, and we left a $15 cash tip on the table, clearly noting on the signed receipt (in pink ink) that the tip was left in cash. This morning we checked our bank account , and noticed we had been charged $91.15 an overcharge of $15.19 beyond the bill. I was concerned about this discrepancy, we contacted the restaurant for clarification. While the front staff acknowledged that this may have been an honest mistake, the individual who identified himself as the owner, manager, and bartender responded with a concerning lack of professionalism. Rather than apologizing or offering to investigate the issue, he curtly advised us to “dispute it with your bank.” It’s unfortunate that what began as a positive dining experience ended on such a disappointing note. The handling of this situation, particularly by management, reflected a disregard for customer service and accountability. So I am giving a one star to this restaurant solely for the manager. We have submitted a dispute with our bank to recover the overcharge, and while we wish this had been resolved more amicably, we will not be returning to this establishment. Going forward, we’ll happily make the trip to Hernando to dine at Mr. Chen’s Kitchen, where customer service is taken more seriously. We strongly recommend checking your receipt and bank statement if you choose to dine here. To make sure they don’t overcharged you like they overcharged us.

Don't let the exterior fool you! This is a true gem hidden in a strip mall. The sushi was fresh and delicious! Not to mention beautifully prepared. We absolutely loved the dragon roll, Batman roll and Graceland roll. They were phenomenal! Great place for a quiet lunch. The service was friendly and efficient. Would definitely return.
Ramona W — Google review
Im a visitor of the area. Was told that Red Fish was the best sushi place in Olive branch. They weren't lying. Where im from. We have a Jasmines. The best. This place tops that. The menu is massive. It would take you 2 months to eat every sushi item if you ate here once a day. Thts not counting everything else. And every bite was delicious. Only downside I seen. No local craft beer choices. But other than tht. The staff was friendly & efficient. There were tons of people in there but it was fairly quiet. I wish we had a Red Fish where i live.
R P — Google review
The food is delicious but check your receipt before paying (especially take out). We have been overcharged several times to deep fry our sushi. It’s usually $2 extra per roll to deep fry but we have been charged $6 extra per roll just to deep fry.
Amy S — Google review
The reason I’m giving a one star is because the way the manager treated my wife while she explained that they over charged for no reason. The bill came to 75.96 and 15 cash tip was left on the table with no tip in the card but then they charged 91.15. That was 15.19 overcharge. He kept saying he can’t give refunds to everyone but all we were asking was not for a refund but to fix the overcharge. Instead he did not say sorry or he’ll fix it to my wife. Instead he acted like it was her fault because she didn’t have the paper receipt and instead said dispute it with your bank and shrugged her off like she didn’t matter. Very disappointing and terrible customer relations/service. Let this serve as a warning to either pay in cash or just don’t frequent establishments like Red Fish that when they make a mistake and overcharge you they will not fix it or at least make you feel like they care. VERY Unprofessional. ALWAYS CHECK YOUR BANK STATEMENTS WHEN GOING HERE OR PLACES LIKE THIS!!

Benihana is a Japanese restaurant chain known for its hibachi-style dining experience. Skilled chefs entertain diners with knife-juggling and theatrical cooking as they prepare dishes like steaks, shrimp, scallops, and lobsters on a steel cooking table. The Benihana special, grilled lobster with mustard and ginger sauce, is a popular choice. In addition to the hibachi experience, the restaurant also features a sushi bar.
Pleasantly surprised, we have been to many hibachi places including the Benihana in Niagara Falls and this exceeded all of them. Lauren and Darnell were amazing making my wife’s birthday a special one. Food and service were fantastic.
Nick K — Google review
The staff was so accommodating for my mom’s 70th birthday dinner! Everything was exceptional! We only had to wait about 10 minutes for our table. Even though we had a larger party of 11 they took care of us very well and seated us in an area that felt like all ours! The cooks and waitress were phenomenal!! And the food and service was perfect!!
Tamika Y — Google review
Unfortunately disappointed with our visit We had high expectations for this restaurant but left feeling let down. Despite having a 2pm reservation on a weekday with no wait time, we sat unattended for 30 minutes before anyone took our order, even though the restaurant was nearly empty. Service Issues: • Server man - black gentle man - was inattentive and seemed rushed when we tried to ask questions. • Long wait times between courses • Staff didn’t seem well-trained on the menu Food & Performance: • The teppanyaki chef’s skills were basic - the performance felt routine rather than engaging • Food quality didn’t justify the price point; flavors were bland and presentation was average Overall: While we wanted to enjoy our experience here, the combination of poor service, mediocre food, and high prices made it hard to recommend. They needs significant improvements in staff training and food quality to match their pricing. Rating: 1/5 We hope management takes feedback seriously as we’d be willing to give it another try if these issues are addressed.

Food was on point! The fried rice was some of the best I’ve had and the scallops were perfect! The onion soup, steak, shrimp, and vegetables were all very good. Price point is a bit high, but when you go to a high end restaurant you should expect that. I also have to give a big shout out to our server Keara! She was kind, great attitude, and was very attentive to our needs. When I go back I will definitely ask to be seated at her table.
J G — Google review
I came to Benihana in Memphis expecting more of an upscale, seamless dining experience, but overall the service left a lot to be desired. It took about five minutes to be seated, which was fine, but our server was not very attentive. In the hour and a half we were there, she only checked on us maybe three times. I also ordered a drink that I didn’t like, and it sat in front of me for 30–45 minutes before I was able to get it exchanged. What saved the night was our hibachi chef, Carolyn. At first glance, I wasn’t sure what to expect, but she ended up giving us a fantastic experience. She was personable, funny, and very apologetic about any small mix-ups, making sure to correct them quickly. She even mentioned that she’s the only woman chef working there, and I can see why—she really stood out. When the manager walked by, I made sure to let them know Carolyn was excellent. Service overall: 1 star. Chef Carolyn: 5 stars. If you go, I highly recommend asking for Carolyn by name. She made the whole visit worth it.
Tiesha H — Google review
Hibachi is one of my favorite foods. No matter what state I’m I always have it at least one night while in town. This is by far the wort I’ve ever had. Absolutely zero flavor, everything was cooked with no sauce or seasoning and tossed on a plate. No dipping sauce or even soy sauce for sushi. Don’t waist your time or money here
Adam G — Google review
$40 for steak hibachi!? And if you want fried rice its $7.50 extra. Plus if you want seafood sauce (yum-yum sauce) its an additional $1. Ive been to dozens of Japanese style restaurants and ordered the steak & chicken combo hibachi for $28 and fried rice was included along with as much sauce as you wanted. And on top of all that. The food was awful. They over cooked my steak, undercooked the rice and what I can only assume we're canned vegetables. The waiter constantly complained about his job and told everyone he couldnt wait to find a new job. He only filled drinks ONCE. The "chef" if you want to call her that was a wonderfully nice lady, but you couldnt understand a thing she said because she mumbled constantly. And don't get me started how sub-par the onion volcano was. Or should I say, WASNT. All in all I can see why the place was empty when we walked in. Way overpriced and the service and food was on par with dumpster diving.

Shocked to see this doesn’t already have 5 stars. Our waiter was extremely attentive and helpful in helping me decide what to order. Mulan Asian Bistro - Young Ave Brief Review... 1st time here... BEST thing about Mulan Asian Bistro was our server... August. He was attentive and eager to please. I didn't mind the automatic 20% tip that was added to the bill. They warn you about this by a note posted at the entrance. I upped the ante a little because he earned it. MIDDLE GROUND -- the entrée. After reviewing the extensive menu, I ended up ordering my usual General Tso's Chicken... you get the choice of white rice, brown rice or chicken fried rice.. (not just fried rice, but CHICKEN fried rice) As you can see from the pic below, the presentation was lovely, but the main protein was just average. WORST -- the 'chicken' fried rice, it was just inedible.... There was no chicken in their chicken fried rice. We took great pains to try to find any chicken in either bowl that was offered and it just tasted 'off'... Neither Wendy nor I were able to identify the taste/ingredient that was throwing it into the inedible category. Ending on a happier note: their sweet tea was delicious.

Garbage! These people only care about profit and have no issues selling you recycled food or leaving off items. The sautéed green beans were dry, old and recooked to sale which made them taste dry, old and burnt; the egg foo young was jellied inside and the egg rolls were old and cold. Avoid this place! Garbage!

I was very disappointed in this place. I moved here from California restaurant owner myself & it's so hard to find great food here. I basically order the same thing every time I go here, but today they wanted to play with my top... 3 extra for snow peas plus 4 for extra pork & they served me like I was a bum today... and really couldn't believe it. And then one of the ladies sat there and tried to count the pieces of pork. we both saw the snow pea was basically non-existent. So since they played with my top, I had to show her better that I can tell her.... 1st photo is theirs noodles, and the 2nd is the one I made.... they never know who they are serving, but I'm the worst critic because truly I can make it myself, but sometimes I just want a break from the kitchen... when I'm disappointed in a place I often show them what their food should like especially for the price....

Mulan Asia did not disappoint! The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. Every dish had great taste and presentation. On top of that, the service was excellent—friendly, attentive, and made the whole dining experience even better. Definitely a place I’ll be returning to and recommending to others!

We arrived at 8 pm for a late dinner. The food was delicious! We had fish hot pot (spicy), egg foo young with beef, and steam rice. She had a couple of different mocktails. I had the sweet sake flight. If you like sweet...it's nice. It starts subtle with the peach to very sweet by the time you get to the lychee. Our server was great! She aim to please.
Sher S — Google review
I called them and placed my order for dinner and then picked up. The place looks a bit shiny, upscale, and hip. I’m sure dine in experience would have been much better. The food was a bit expensive in comparison to other Chinese restaurants, however, the food is really good. Be it the quality, freshness, good ingredients, preparation, portion size everything is top. We ordered house special chowmein and a spicy fried chicken. Both the dishes were terrific. I would highly recommend the place and I myself will definitely go back. Update: I ordered again, and this time also the food was great. Major update: after ordering food from this place quite a few times through Uber eats, this time I went on-site in the restaurant for dine in experience. The food was food, so the ambience. Quantity wise, it’s humongous, more than you would get if the food is getting delivered.
Debisree R — Google review
I got the General Tso's chicken, which is always one of my favorites and it certainly did not disappoint. My only complaint is that they left the utensils out of the bag. But it was so much better than any of the other places I've ordered from that I'll let it slide.

Sekisui Pacific Rim is a delightful modern Japanese restaurant that offers an enticing blend of sushi and Pacific Rim cuisine. Located in Memphis, this eatery boasts a diverse menu featuring favorites like the Pacific Rim Edamame, House Cucumber Roll, and Volcano Roll. Diners rave about the quality of food and attentive service that enhances their dining experience. While some specialty rolls are particularly praised for their flavor—especially those with seared fish—there have been mixed reviews regarding certain items like sushi pizza.
I sat at the sushi bar and order the hot piece of tail and poplar roll. Both had amazing flavor and would recommend. They were busy but well serviced. They had more like club music at the bar but I enjoyed it. Apparently for Halloween they are going to have DJ and a party.

Wowwwww let’s just say you have to start with their house ginger salad!!! Best ginger salad in memphis! It was really popping tonight. I had a solo dinner so I was seated at the sushi bar. It had great lighting and it was nice watching the chefs make the sushi. I got the gyzoa , miso soup and salad to start! All was delicious!! What ever that dipping sauce is that comes with the gyzoa it was soooo good!! 10/10! The soup was pipping hot which I loved!! I hate Luke warm soup. My sushi was okay. It was def fresh but I could’ve gotten a better roll. The menu is soo big kinda overwhelming when ordering but I bet it’s better rolls on there. I will be back to try more

Been going here for yrs but last night was double awful. I got the 12 piece sashimi which is what I get every time but the sashimi was cut thin and it was spoiled. The waitress should also go to waitress school and learn some ???? I don’t like making a scene but almost did. I work hard for my money and sure don’t want to throw it away on some sub par sashimi. I’m hoping it was just a bad batch of fish but sashimi isn’t the kind of food you need to be serving anyone if it’s bad. My wife got the ocean pyramid which she also gets every time and they doused it with ponzu so you wouldn’t be able to taste the fish being spoiled. I’m not one to leave a bad review on anyone but I’m guessing the mgmt will be receiving multiple complaints bout the quality of the fish tonight

The waitress we had tonight was not pleasant at all and it felt very racially motivated. She did not introduce herself at all. She asked what we wanted to drink but did not give my Mom a chance to answer and just walked away ,rude. She did the same thing once she took our orders again just blatantly rude. She never came to check on us inbetween times. It was not that crowded and she had 3 tables if not less including us. We were served dirty silverware and plates and she never offered us a refill. Now this was a celebratory meal because I Stage IV Breast Cancer and try to celebrate the small wins when I can, however the waitress ruined it for me. The one refill we did get was a dirty coke togo cup. The other waitress were nice and interacting with us but the one we had was not pleasant at all. The food was subpar also but I was glad you all decreased your prices. We were the only African American family during this time which has never been a problem before since I've been coming here since I have been in middle school so like 15+ years. We did leave a low tip of $5 due to her poor service. I probably will never comeback here.

Not recommended. Server demanded we put our food order in writing. We thought she was joking, but she was serious. We complied, but she did not return to take the written order until 22 mins later. Then, she seemed delighted to tell us they had just ran out of the first item we tried order. Perplexed, we left to dine somewhere else. Also, on a prior visit, we wasted $100 on their VIP dining program.

I've been here twice and the only thing I had worth buying was the Jasmine tea. I got the lo mein and there was no sauce on it. It was just sitting in broth or something. I poured so much off my plate and it was about 3/4 cup worth and the noodles had no flavor. The mushrooms were full of water. The chicken was ok but it was definitely batch boiled. Zero flavor, a friend had to give me some of the excess sauce off their chicken to make my food edible. I didn't bother returning it because the servers already seemed to be in a bad mood.

Mulan Asian Bistro East, situated in Memphis, Tennessee on Spottswood Avenue, is a Chinese and Japanese restaurant that serves a range of dishes. They offer a variety of options with your choice of meat or vegetables accompanied by white rice. For an additional fee, you can substitute the white rice for either brown rice or chicken fried rice. Furthermore, extra chicken or beef can be added for $2.
I had a great lunch here. They were easily able to accommodate gluten free and vegan. The weekday lunch specials are great. The dish I got included soup or salad with rice and the dish I picked. I got a Kung Pao tofu dish with veggies. It was delicious and flavorful. A little spicy 🌶️ kick to it, but it was noted on the menu and it made it better. My friend got the general toa tofu and she liked her meal too. The only thing we both did not like was the miso soup. It did not have flavor it just tasted like hot water with the tofu in it. They could definitely improve on that. I will just get the salad next time instead. I did not take off any stars for the bad soup since the main dish was so good. Plus they have so many options that they are able to accommodate for gluten free and vegan. They also brought gluten free soy sauce to the table. I was extremely impressed that they could make this dish gluten free and vegan. I have to be in a major city at a specialty restaurant to have this many delicious gluten free vegan choices. 👏❤️🔥🙏 Thank you for offering so many choices for people with allergies and dietary restrictions. We also ordered an appetizer of Vietnamese spring rolls, which was just ok. I would probably try something different next time.

Started off I asked for a Dragon Tea which was unavailable, but showed on the online menu (I like to plan ahead) and then went with something much easier The Mulan Martini on the rocks and she insisted on flavor so rather than pushing the point across that I enjoy the taste of Liquor without fruit I just said Cranberry and accepted the drink. The Beef Lo Mein was unusually good and not your typical "noodles and slop" plus the Miso Soup was hot and had good flavor with copious amounts of both Kale and Tofu. However simple a Spring Roll is for a side item these topped every buffet. Crispy outside and not soggy inside. With a Sweet and Sour that hit the palate just right. I wish I would've noticed the nice open patio area before I picked a seat rather than running into it by exiting the wrong door on the way out. Looked like it would've been a nice place to sit and enjoy the bustle of the area. I will also say that even though the cocktail wasn't made exactly right it was decent. Judging how to tip was stressful because there was 2 of three people involved that did great and one that partially ruined my meal. q

Great seevice, great food, and great beer! They didn't have the one I liked, but the lady recommended a similar option, and it was really good. I am from California, so I am not familiar with their local beers, but the ghost river beer was delicious 👌. I think that's how it's called. Lol. I am also not a big fan of fried sushi, but I like the one they served me.

Ordered thru doordash, quick and efficient! Got a Spicy blood curd that came in 2 large boxes, containing duck blood, spam, tripe and stomach. Also had glass noodles & some cabbages. Very generous portions at reasonable price! Recommended

Katie was a great, attentive server. The food was very delicious. 2nd time to go to this restaurant- once for dinner-today for lunch. Great menu- lots of choices. They don’t disappoint that’s for sure. Looking forward to going back again! Thanks Katie!!

I hate leaving this review. I absolutely have loved this place over the last few years via DoorDash as I’m frequently in the area for business. It’s literally my go to. Last few times I’ve had issues. Prior time no fork included and missing my egg rolls. No biggie. This time though? I called per the usual to ask for a “handful of soy sauce packets” for my order as I do every single time. I get a condescending “I’ll be sure to include a handful” remark. I brush this off and think nothing of it. Order shows up missing items and I have ONE soy sauce packet for my entire order. I’ve been wayyyy loyal to this place but as of today I’m never coming back and I strongly advise doing so to others. Clearly the customers that keep them in business are a joke to them. Point taken.

Can not be beaten! One of a kind GEM in Memphis area. I think it’s TOP 1 by now in my heart. Excellent foods here with exceptional service by Michelle. Noodles are made with neutral tension that makes it great taste, the soap base is also tasty, materials are full of entire bowl.Sushi is also great taste like half soft and half crisp. Warm and a bit old fashioned atmosphere makes it look gem.We will be back again.

This is my secret place of peace and Pho. Its taken me years to do this review because i still believe in gatekeeping a tad bit. However, this place has Thee most Authentic, flavorful, and consistent Bone broth I've ever experienced. Anytime I try to patronize elsewhere, Im highly disappointed in myself and run back home to Ryu🫶🏽 All of there food is great but Pho and Sushi are my absolute favorite here. Also they remember my face and name so the customer service is very good.

I come here as often as I can. It's one of my favourite restaurants in Memphis. They not only have amazing and tasty sushi rolls like "The Big Apple," But also pho, delicious steamed dumplings, Poke bowls, fried rice and a variety of desserts. Michelle will make you feel like family and the food will have you returning regularly.

This was the first time my husband and I came to this place. We were at the market next door and decided to dine in. The lady that greeted us was so nice she took care of us right away. The food was delicious and the place was very cute cozy and private. What really stood out to me was the pure heart the owner has. She’s very sweet and very attentive. They close at 8 and we got there at 8. She said it was fine and let us stay to dine in, the workers were gone and she cooked all our food. Honestly she’s a gem and deserves all the praise and appreciation in the world. She really touched my heart with her way of being. I would recommend this place solely on her personality but the food and the style of the place also make it that much more amazing. It really is a great spot.

Sushi Jimmi Asian Fusion LLC is a casual dining spot that offers a blend of Asian flavors, featuring sushi, rice dishes, and innovative creations like sushiritos. What started as a food truck has now expanded to include restaurant locations. The menu boasts Japanese tacos, sushi nachos, and the popular Red Dragon sushirito. Customers have praised the fusion of flavors in dishes like gyoza, spicy crawfish nachos, shrimp fried rice, Japanese Spring Roll and Godzilla.
I've loved the food truck and didn't think it could get any better, but I was wrong. The restaurant is understated- it's clean and nice, but the focus is on the fabulous food. The pairings are fresh and fun and everything on the menu is excellent. The service is great also. Highly recommended. Go with friends and order a few things and share. You won't be disappointed.

I was introduced to this food truck turn restaurant by my sister this past Saturday. Wow! The food was pretty good. It was definitely a fusion of flavors. We're Asians(Cambodian) and even my parents loved all the dishes we got. We got 2 orders of gyoza, 2 spicy crawfish nachos, shrimp fried rice, Japanese Spring Roll and Godzilla. We ate family style, meaning we shared all the dishes. We look forward to eating here again on our next visit to Memphis.

The food was excellent , and the service was good. They set the expectation up front that our rolls would take some time to come out. That made the entire expierence great. We had the Spring and Egg roles. I will have the again. Gyoza was on point. I recommend M-Town to make this your place to eat.

Saito Japanese Hibachi & Sushi is a delightful spot that brings together the best of Japanese and Vietnamese cuisine in a relaxed setting. With multiple hibachi grills and an inviting sushi bar, it’s perfect for those craving an interactive dining experience. Guests can enjoy generous portions of chicken hibachi, complete with sides like salad, soup, rice, veggies, and noodles—ensuring you leave satisfied (and possibly with leftovers!).
Love this place !! Best sushi in Bartlett hands down .. the fresh raw sushi is prepared on the spot and delicious!! I ALWAYS get the tuna nigiri and yellow tail hand roll !! Clean flavor and plated nicely.. also you have e to try the fried rice , made to order every time and add the side of garlic butter to make it perfect!!
Dana H — Google review
I had a terrible experience at Saito’s that I feel compelled to share. From the moment my food arrived, there were fruit flies swarming around my plate. It was impossible to enjoy my meal with bugs constantly landing near and on my food. When I brought it to the manager’s attention, I was met with a dismissive attitude. Instead of addressing the issue respectfully, he rolled his eyes at me and brought out a paper from the health department—as if that would excuse the unsanitary conditions. To make matters worse, a fruit fly actually flew into my food and died in it. Completely unacceptable and extremely unhygienic. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Cleanliness and customer service are clearly not priorities at Saito’s.
DukeTheDonn — Google review
Fruit flies swarming around our food, couldn’t even eat without them landing on our food, we ended up getting the food to go. I didn’t even complain at this point, I just wanted to get out of there. Another topic: I had my kids with me, I asked for 2 kid teas. She brought one in a cup with a lid for my 6 year old, and one as a regular glass for my older girl who is 9. I get my bill, she took it upon herself to charge $4.00 for a tea for my child instead of the .99 cent tea for a child. This just didn’t set right with me, especially after the horrible experience with fruit flies all over the food and the fact that we didn’t even drink our drinks due to getting food to go. There was no apology either. This place has really gone downhill with experience and hygiene.
Jenny T — Google review
Excellent Hibachi chefs! Friendly, good with kids and made delicious food. Lost one star because the fountain drinks tasted... weird. Not awful, just off somehow. The location is great and the staff were also very friendly. We will definitely be back!
Jeneal S — Google review
We sat in an otherwise empty dinning room at 6:30 pm, Saturday. . There was no music or atmosphere. The booths are flat benches with individual cushions that don't cushion. The waitress wasn't rude, but she wasn't friendly either. The miso soup was bland. The egg rolls were tiny. The "fried rice" appeared to be microwaved, or steamed at best. It had no carrots, onions, peas or flavor. Strangely, it resembled Mexican rice more than Asian rice. The yakisoba was okay.
Brett L — Google review
My first visit to this establishment revealed a nice gem of a hibachi restaurant in the Bartlett area. The quality of the service and food are noteworthy, as both are of a high level. Would recommend this place for anyone traveling through the area.
Robbie H — Google review
I stopped by Saito for the first time. While I was reviewing the menu another customer suggested I try the shrimp fried rice. She said it was delicious. So I bought a small container in addition to a noodle steak dish and tempura fried vegetables. Everything was delicious. Everything was seasoned well and made fresh to order. the steak in the noodle dish was so tender. The shrimp was excellent. So this restaurant definitely deserves 5 stars.
Yolanda S — Google review
Came here with a friend for sushi and hibachi! When we arrived we were seated promptly and our server came shortly after. The customer service was great throughout the entire meal especially the chef that made our hibachi. I ordered the chicken hibachi and sooo much comes with it! You get a side salad, soup, rice, veggies, and noodles. I definitely had leftovers! The only thing about the meal was the dry chicken breast. I also order sushi, Cupcake Roll, and it was tasty! I had the Bahama Mama as a drink and the bartender made it very well. Overall, this meal hit the spot with a ton of leftovers. I will definitely come back!

Sakura's has been one of our favorite places for years. Every trip has been filled with delicious food, super nice people, and beautiful artwork decorating the walls. Our favorite items to order are Tofu Steak Appetizer, Veggie Spring Rolls, Edamame, Vegetable Tempura, and the Vegetable Fried Rice. We LOVE the Tofu Steak Appetizer! It comes out sizzling on a hot skillet topped with Teriyaki Sauce with a side of shredded Cabbage with a delicious Sauce. It's pure magic! It's the dish we find ourselves craving on a regular basis. It's about a half hour drive for us, but it is absolutely worth it everytime!

This charming Japanese restaurant offers an exciting array of sushi and tableside teppanyaki that will surely tantalize your taste buds. Diners rave about the quality of dishes like the melt-in-your-mouth yellowtail tuna nigiri, making it a perfect spot for both date nights and family gatherings.
I went with a group from work on lunch break and had a really good time. The food was delicious. We ordered a variety of items and were of great quality. I definitely would suggest the nigiri as the yellow tail tuna I ordered simply melted in my mouth. The service was excellent and the wait staff were on point. It would be a great spot for a date night or family social event. Looking forward to my next visit.

I ordered their food from Door Dash many times but yesterday was first time I dined in. Service was okay, very transactional, not very friendly. The fish was good quality. Bangkok Alley is a vibrant Thai eatery known for its colorful and deliciously plated noodles, curries, seafood, and sushi. The restaurant offers a relaxed space with a patio for diners to enjoy their meals. While the location may be small inside and busy at times, the food quality makes up for any inconvenience. Customers have praised the excellent service and highlighted standout dishes such as crispy spring rolls, Seafood Lemongrass, Pad Thai, and beef salad.
Excellent service. Super crispy spring rolls! The Seafood Lemongrass was cooked perfectly. The shrimp and scallops were tender and succulent, not overcooked and rubbery. Delightful sauce. My Mom said the Pad Thai was the best she's had anywhere in a long time. The manager, Vanessa, visited all the tables to make sure everyone's meals were great. It's evident why Bangkok Alley keeps winning awards.
Gina L — Google review
I ordered the Pad Thai with chicken in the restaurant and 2 days later, I ordered the Pad Thai with no meat through Postmates/Uber Eats pickup. The dishes appear vastly different. The dine-in experience featured a much more colorful dish. The pickup order was somewhat bland. For clarity, I split half the dish than what is shown. But there were no red peppers or broccoli. Anyway, they could do a better job of acknowledging people when they enter their establishment. A quick, “just a moment” can go very far.

First time here!! The restaurant’s ambience was really nice! We got a table for two in the outdoor patio which was decorated beautifully. Our order : a small chicken tom yum soup + sushi roll (can’t remember the name) + chef’s rice with shrimp. Unfortunately the soup came out room temperature which really threw me off and was somewhat disappointing as it lacked flavor. The chef’s rice was delicious and hot. Adequate amount of shrimps too. Our server seemed really shy but he was super nice so I appreciate that. Final thought: Maybe will return. **PS please check over your bill!! We ordered a thai tea and never received it but they still had it on the bill.

Ordered the tofu pad Thai and it was below average. Tofu wasn’t cooked right. Noodles and sauce wasn’t properly mixed. Didn’t have all of the veggies that were listed in the menu. Overall poorly prepared and really lacked the that pad thai flavors.
D K — Google review
Food has gotten sub par here since new ownership took over. My dish had something in that I believe turned out to be uncooked rice boodles that must've gotten mixed in by mistake. But that's not even the complaint on the food, it's just not that great anymore. Underwhelming would be an understatement. The portions have gotten way smaller. I order extra protein and get less than what I would normally get on an order with the standard amount of protein. Not sure what happened but this use to be a staple for us and its really gone down hill. Not just food wise either. Service isn't what it use to be. I feel like we don't have enough good restaurants in this town, and this use to be a solid consistent choice for food quality and service but that's just not the case anymore unfortunately.
Brian E — Google review
Food was ok... too much salt and less spicy even after a request was made for extra spicy food. Quantity was less for all appetizers....like very low. Service was good. They used to be much better.
Dr. L — Google review
WORST THAI FOOD EVER! I am wondering how they could run a restaurant with this type of food. We had tomyum soup, pad kee mao, and nam tok beef salad. The tomyum tasted like cold water with vinegar and some raw mushrooms in it. Pad Kee Mao looked sloppy af, the noodle was basically bland, even the egg was just like they threw fried egg on the dish. The Namtok Beef Salad was alright, just basically grilled beef with some spring mix. Everything was horrible. Seems like they hired a white guy first time cooking in the kitchen.
R Y — Google review
Very nice location. They were very busy with a 30 minute wait. Unfortunately, around the door area, it's very busy and no where to wait while waiting for a table to become available. Location is small inside. Once seated, we were greeted quickly. After we ordered, or server didn't check in with us again. She only said something when she brought out the food, which took an extremely long time. Fortunately the meal was great. Everything was hot and made fresh. I will definitely be back.

This place has literally been a staple in Memphis since I was a kid, 50 years and going strong. Food was excellent, reasonably priced and the bar was actually quite good. My whole family has been coming here for special occasion dinners (birthdays, graduations, etc.) for as long as I can remember. There is always a big group of us (usually around 15) and we have never had to wait more than 10mins to be seated and the food has never received a single complaint from any of us which is something miraculous! Everybody has a great time, enjoys a phenomenal meal, and a few good laughs thanks to the hibachi chefs who are always so friendly and entertaining. 10 out of 10! WILL ALWAYS RECOMMEND!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I haven’t been here in years and it’s still as nostalgic as I remember. I was the first and only one in there and was seated the back immediately at a hibachi table. What looked like the owner or manager quickly brought me water. I decided to start with 2 sushi rolls Salmon skin roll KamkaziI roll Both were really tasty. And tasted fresh. I got the hibachi chicken and steak and babyyy those sauces that came with them. 🔥🔥🔥 Everything was so good and the chef was so friendly. Since I was the only one at the table we had a great conversation. I actually forgot why I stopped coming here but this will def be my go to hibachi spot now.

I went for the first time in it’s my family last night. Both the service and food were AWESOME. We arrived when the restaurant first opened at 5pm on a weekday, and got a hibachi table immediately with some of the other guests. The staff were very nice, and the food tasted good. Our chef just absolutely *made* the experience. I grew up in Memphis, TN, and I can’t believe that I’m only learning about this place now. We enjoyed everything, and we definitely plan to return 👍🏻 Footnote: we tried the egg rolls as an appetizer, and they were a pleasant surprise for us. They’re sausage-meat based, and very tasty; my family liked the sauce that goes with them. Overall, just a good experience!

We made reservations for 4 on a Thursday evening. This place was pretty nice, small but nice. It was not busy. The food and options were great. I only wanted sushi, my friends both got hibachi which looked tasty as well. The sushi took some time to come out but that’s pretty standard at most places. I had to ask for refills which is ok for me, not ideal, but I’m ok with it. my experience with the sushi was great I enjoyed all of the rolls I asked for.

Delicious sushi! Good happy hour menu. Clean place. Good service. Seating is awkward because it's a super open room with close-together tables and shared extra-long booths. I felt like i was sitting with the people at the table next to us. We listened to their conversation through our whole dinner instead of having our own. I mean, they were approx 2 ft away from us. I thought about asking to move but nowhere looked any more private. At such high prices I expected a bit less of a fast food dining room experience

Sushi here is okay. I had salmon roll and chicken katsu. Flavor was good and the pricing was okayy. I would give the place 3 star but it’s not fair if I compared the rating with California Sushi place. Staff is really friendly and they will take care of you whatever you need.
Roy C — Google review
Was in the Memphis area for the afternoon and felt like trying out a new sushi place for lunch. If you have picky eaters that either won’t eat sushi or raw fish this is a good option because they have plenty of cooked sushi and hibachi style options. The sushi lunch special is reasonably priced and you get two 6-piece maki rolls, miso soup, and a small side salad. The two rolls of my choice were the spicy crunchy crab and avocado & salmon. Both were flavorful, however, a few of mine fell apart while I was dipping them in soy sauce. The edamame, as always, were delicious and I really enjoyed the dressing the use on their salad. Everyone else in my party also enjoyed their visit and the server was incredibly nice and prompt with drinks and table clearing. Overall a great visit and I would happily come again!

This is my newest favorite sushi spot. My friend and I go here about every two-three weeks, and it’s so delicious! It’s well priced with the amount of fish you get in your sushi. My friend and I usually split 5 rolls and get one beer, and we spend about $25 each, which is a really great deal! Our service is great every time! It’s quiet most days, which is nice if you want a chance to catch up with your friend.

Nice cozy environment with free parking, not too crowded. Food was very good and service pretty quick. Price was reasonable especially for Classic and Special rolls. All rolls come in 6 pieces each. The spicy salmon and tuna rolls were fantastic. The only thing that was underwhelming was the fried rice.

Very fresh food! Poke bowl was delish! Family had noodle bowls, they were cooked just perfect! We are very picky when it comes to our Asian cuisine. Great price and love the simplicity atmosphere. Great place for late night meal passing through the city!

Previously ordered delivery from here. The curry noodles were really good. I would also recommend the crunchy shrimp roll, the rice dishes were a bit dry for my taste. Service was good and efficient. I'd most likely come back to try more of the noodles option
Robin P — Google review
It doesn't quite qualify as a "hole in the wall" place but still has that feel. The space is comfortable, the menu small but has the essentials and some unique items (Do we really need 70 kinds of sushi rolls?) and the staff is courteous. Oh yeah, the food is good too.

I went here to try the sushi and dumplings. Simply delectable. The food was fresh and served very promptly. I ordered to go. I love the cozy decor of this spot as well and this will be my new go to place whenever I'm in the mood for sushi. Very affordable and tasty!
Carlos J — Google review
The food looked great. However, it lacked flavor. You have to take your order on their computers, one person cooks, serves your food, and cleans the tables.
Israel R — Google review
I love their beef curry! Flavorful and spicy (mild for asian) and the green tea cheesecake is a must! I love the ambiance of the place too!

I got the spicy beef curry. Decent size with great meat to rice ratio. The quality of the food was great, and it tasted amazing. Interested to try other stuff off their menu.

I took out my dinner through Uber eats! I got the curry flavored chicken and substituted the rice with fried rice. After getting it delivered, I discovered the fried rice was not there! I understand that mistakes happen. And I’m fine as uber eats got that money( charge for the substitution) refunded to my credit card. The food was wholesome and flavorful. I loved it until I discovered a FISH BONE from my chicken and rice! Eww! I don’t know, maybe it’s another mistake! But I’m concerned about their food safety and security. If they would have mixed a fish piece I would understand. But the fish bone was mixed in my meal! Is it kind of contamination by mistake? I couldn’t eat the remaining portion!

Located in Memphis, this buffet-style restaurant features a Mongolian grill where patrons can indulge in generous portions of their favorite dishes. While the ambiance may not be the highlight, the diverse selection makes it worth a visit for food lovers on a budget.
My wife and I went for lunch and the experience was great. The food was delicious and hot, we were seated immediately. The waitress was very attentive but standoffish which I liked. The restaurant was clean and the staff was great
Terrence G — Google review
I honestly hate leaving bad reviews. But boy howdy, did I not have a great time here. Not only was the food subpar quality for a hibachi? The wasabi and spicy mayo was sweet rather than spicy. The waitress didn't take any plates or top off my water. And to make matters worse? They added 3 extra dollars to my bill that wasn't on it initially, and I was marked on the initial receipt (which did include taxes, so i know it wasnt that) for $26 for me and my buddy to eat there for lunch. Not dinner, lunch. After I handed over my card, SUDDENLY, it's $29 dollars. What the heck?? Love yourself more, go somewhere else that has higher quality food, better service, and isn't going to add extra charge randomly to your bill.
Oxytoxic S — Google review
Mongolian grill was awesome. So much food in bulk is served on the buffet. Most of the patrons are the bargain hunters and is very full. If you do not mind ambience there are quite a few variety of dishes. It is oriental food but feels like you are in other side of the border. Service was fine. Pick and choose what you want and won’t be disappointed. Recommend it for occasional indulgence at a reasonable budget.
S ( — Google review
Love this place!! They just struggle with keeping the food pans filled. Too many times you have to wait until your favorite dish comes out. Other than that I always enjoy the food.
Darrel G — Google review
Great hibachi food, nice and hot. The waiter was a little pushy and could have been better. The buffet food was a little out of stock or very few and cold. They definitely need to add spicy mayo so that it could go great with the sushi.
Juan B — Google review
Not a great selection of food the hibachi was the best way to go. Our bill was over 300.00 for 18 people and it wasn't worth the money.
Lasheena G — Google review
Not a good experience. Arrived Sunday evening about 615. Came specifically because my daughter wanted crawfish and we called and they said they had them. We arrived, variety of items is limited and the majority of the pans on the buffet were empty/almost empty. And most were never refilled during our visit. We had to wait forever for the crawfish to be refilled. Most other items weren’t refilled at all while we were hers. Sushi selection is worse than average. The noodles are just standard spaghetti noodles tossed in some sort of sauce. The fried rice is obviously steamed yellow rice. We should have just drove to the buffet in south haven

Lacey and I have been try all the different restaurants in this area and this one we had not have until today. I am sorry to say we will not be going back here again. I will say the staff was pleasant and it looked like it may be ok. We both sadly did not enjoy most of what we tried today. I'm not sure if our expectations are just high or it just is not worthy. I feel bad posting a unfavorable review, but it just was not good at all.

Osaka Japanese Cuisine is a modern Japanese restaurant that offers conveyor-belt sushi and tableside grills. Visitors have praised the quick service and delicious Gyoza appetizer, as well as the generous portion sizes of their main dishes like teriyaki chicken and steak. The shabu shabu is recommended, especially with added sesame sauce. The dessert portions are substantial and perfect for sharing, with refreshing options like mango ice cream.
This location of Osaka restaurant is truly the best, in our opinion. The customer service and food consistently exceed expectations compared to others. We try to visit a few times a month, and it never disappoints!

Kimberly D — Google review
This is the first local place that blew my socks off, we’re talking slap your grandma good. I took my fiancé here on a date and WOW! We started with Gyoza (pork dumplings) and the server brought them out so fast it felt like they popped out of thin air. They were the perfect flavor and crispy-ness for a fried dumpling. For dinner we had teriyaki chicken and the steak and chicken. We both got the regular size instead of the large, but I was stunned with the portion size. She’s the pregnant one, but I definite look pregnant now too because it was SO MUCH FOOD. I don’t typically eat carbs, but when I saw the fried rice I could resist a bite. Genuinely the best I’ve ever had. Plus the sauce on the side was to die for. Lastly for desert we got the fried banana with vanilla ice cream and it was fantastic! Just the right sweetness, and again, huge portion (definitely enough to share between us). I couldn’t be happier with my experience here tonight and I’ll definitely be bringing friends and family regularly. Also, thanks Emma for the awesome service! Best service on this side of the Mississippi for sure!

Surprised to find a sushi/Chinese buffet in Memphis, but it was well executed. Huge selection of rolls, but no nigiri or sashimi. Chinese buffet was ok, small dessert selection. Price was a little high for a weeknight. Overall worth the experience if you are craving Asian food.
Ted L — Google review
Not a big selection for a buffet. Dinner prices are super high and nothing here justifies the cost. Drinks are watered down. The grilled chicken did not have any seasoning. Some of the food was mislabeled
Adriel ( — Google review
It was a nice restaurant, but for some reason, it hasn't been opened since April. The notice said it would be back in June. Obviously, there is something wrong going on, and no one knows when it will re-open. The disgusting thing is that Google Maps still display its regular business hours, misleading people like me driving here with a hungry stomach.

This is my favorite place to eat. There is a good variety of food and they have great quality sushi. There are even options my toddler loves to eat. OEC Japanese Express is a beloved local restaurant known for its consistently excellent food and wonderful staff. Despite being busy, the wait times are always reasonable. The menu offers a variety of delicious options, including the best fried rice and incredible sushi. Customers highly recommend the shrimp tempura roll, crunch crab roll, and crab rangoon for their great taste and affordable prices. Additionally, the option to substitute white rice for brown rice makes it suitable for those seeking diabetic-friendly alternatives.
Ordering over the phone is the easiest, but they do offer online ordering if you don't want to wait and order when you get there. Yakimesi (fried rice) is always my go-to with chicken and scallops. The steak is good. I'm not really a fan of the shrimp. They offer a vast variety or Rolls and other traditional dishes. Highly suggested in the Bartlett area.

I must say that I was very impressed by OEC Japanese Express’s sushi! I like that they are made fresh to go and that you can substitute white rice for brown rice, which is good for those looking for diabetic friendly substitutes. While I would’ve liked to receive a confirmation after ordering my sushi online, all in all, I love my Bombey and Canadian rolls! You can’t go wrong with simple and delicious sushi served at reasonable prices. :)

I have been ordering take out from this restaurant for approximately 7 years. I have never had a bad experience. The staff is ALWAYS professional and nice. Small local restaurant. I've been coming here for a decade and have not had a single bad experience. The staff is absolutely wonderful. I've never had a long wait here even when the place has been packed. You can't go wrong with anything you order here. They have the best fried rice and incredible sushi. I tried the crab rangoons today and they were the best I've ever had. Prices are also incredibly reasonable. I cannot reccomend this place enough.
Amber D — Google review
Highly recommend this place! The shrimp tempura roll (right) & crunch crab roll (left) are so good & only $4.99 each. The crab rangoon is also delicious and also only $4.99. I looked over the rest of their menu and all of their prices are so reasonable and the lady at the front was super helpful with recommendations. I also recommend ordering through their website, versus food delivery apps (they’re killing small restaurants with fees). The only drawback to online ordering is you don’t get an email confirmation of your order which is weird but my order went through anyway.

Second visit and both times have been great. First visit I had sushi and spring rolls. Sushi was refresh and delicious. The rolls were really good, but the dipping sauce was not the best, but still good. Second visit I had hibachi. Again fresh and hot. Pros: Good food, friendly service, clean. Cons: Nothing I can really point out except price. Nothing extravagant but you're not getting out for under $40 for 2. Well at least we can't. :-)
Blue B — Google review
Left out 2 rolls out of my $55 order. Made the sushi very quickly however and it was a decent quality compared to other local Sushi locations. The man, who I can reasonably assume was the owner, was decently polite however a bit stern. Would expect dine-in to be open at this point, however dine-in was not facilitated at this location, during this time. Prices were pretty high as well, compared to other places in the area of similar quality but they had a pretty good selection. I think the best thing they could do, is update their menu online, because they were out of ice cream and tea, as well as any lobster items. Especially since they do not facilitate online ordering, which is extremely uncommon in this day and age. Would be a nice courtesy for customers and adding the pricing online would help people know what to expect. This is common practice in the area. I think there's a lot that they can do better and they have a great framework, however they're clearly cutting corners either due to lack of understanding or realization for how important these things are to customers. I would have given a four if they hadn't left out a couple of my items, however I did not pursue a refund or going back to the establishment for the missing items, as it was a 40-minute drive to try this location out. Would not go out of my way again for the same quality of sushi I can get nearby.

Always delicious! The best sushi in the South. Never disappointed in their food. Everyone and everything here is absolutely fantastic. We are never disappointed. I highly recommend Isushi to everyone. The sushi is so much better than any other restaurants around town, hands down!
Michael S — Google review
First time eating here, came in on a Wednesday around 4pm and it was empty - but my server was very friendly and welcoming! My glass was always full and she frequented the table plenty to check on me. I ordered the crab puffs (crab Rangoon), the Benchwarmer, The Superman, and the Forest Gump rolls. The Benchwarmer and Forest Gump were delicious, and all three were presented beautifully. The only reason I deducted a star is because they have two different rolls with the same name (Superman, and Superman 1). Unfortunately, I ordered the wrong one, and got the Superman roll that had crawfish inside (of which I am not a fan) as well as fried fish on top. Bleh. The crab puffs were delicious and sweet, along with the sweet and sour sauce it came with! But other than that, GREAT sushi, huge portions, clean restaurant, and great service. I ended up taking some home to share :)

In all the years, I've never tried Osaka sushi. It was better than I was anticipating. It's no seki Sui but I suspect I will be back. The bar is very cool and some of the cooked dishes I saw coming out looked fire. I will update this review if they wow me the next time I go. A little underwhelming this go round. Tuna tataki, salmon Nigiri. Osaka roll, white tiger and Florida roll.

Service was horrible, the lady had way too many tables to take care of everyone how she needed to. Portion sizes are awful for the price as well. They also add a 15% tip without it being said anywhere (party of 2) then have the audacity to hand you a receipt asking for another tip. Will not be back highly disappointed.
Zach D — Google review
The condition on the menu they brought me pretty much sums up the condition of this restaurant nowadays. The conveyor is gross and needs to be cleaned. It’s also not turned on and you just ask for a plate. (Which you are not told, you have to ask if it is available) The menu is so abused it won’t lay flat on the table. Take pride in your restaurant. It also stinks in here.look how gross this thing is with the QR code. This is in front of me while I eat.

They could never make me hate Osaka!!! Food hit everytime, now service is gonna be what you make of it. Yes you may have to flag ppl down, but they’ll get you what you’re asking for. Got it to-go and the presentation may lack, but what never misses is the flavor. The E.T rolls is probably the best thing on the menu, sushi is fresh, what you wanna do is get a side of eel sauce and yum yum and mix together w a dash of soy- u then eat your meal and will finish smiling from ear to ear. Rlly one of my fav hibachi/sushi places. (However, they do skimp you on that broccoli. Have u w 18 pieces of zucchini and 2 pieces of broccoli???? Nothing a little portion control can’t nip in the bud.

Called to place an order and was told to call back later. I proceeded to order online instead. I arrived to pick up my food and the young lady at the front was very nice. The poor review comes from the lady training her. Just plain rude. I asked for utensils for my order and the young lady went to grab them and was quickly reprimanded for it. She then said I get no utensils. Overall bad experience but food is alright. Rice will always be a 10/10 though.

Food is usually pretty good here. This was my first time ordering take out. 4 Hibachi Chicken Lunches was $80. The sauce that the food is served with traditionally in the restaurant cost extra when you order takeout. For an $80 meal I had higher hopes than sporks and a food container 3/4 full. The sauces we paid extra for were in 1-2 oz containers. Overall just disappointed.

Enjoyed the food. Glad I got the Red Hook Seasoning; otherwise, I think it would have been a bit bland. I tried the fish and shrimp basket, a bit pricey for the amount they give you, and the fish has a flour batter, not cornmeal. Wasn't impressed. The seafood boil was okay, though, so I wasn't too disappointed. The service was good, and the atmosphere was nice.

I tried the exact same dish at the southhavem store and the one on Union Ave within one week. However, the food quality varied a looooot. In Southaven, I got fresh, large, juicy oyster. The ones I got on Union Ave was terrible. I asked the manager on Union Avenue regarding the difference. When I showed her the picture I took from the southaven store, she did even recognize it as fried oyster. Though later she said the oyster depends on the delivery and both stores have the same supplier. I have doubts that she might never saw good fried oyster. If that's the case, this means that all the red hook stores do not have a standard for quality control. Whether the food is fresh or good depends on the customers' luck and loacation. I post this comment after checking with the manager on Union Ave. I am trying to be a nice customer but I do not pay for the perfunctory explanation. The server was super duper nice though! Also, the overall ambience is better at the union ave one, but the southaven store has slightly cheaper menu (about 2 dollors to 8 dollars)

Love the venue, our waiter Johnathan was friendly and informative. I had the Honey Chicken with Fried rice and was extremely happy. I can't wait to go back and try something different :)

1st time to this establishment. Service as far as the food was slow. Party of 7...took nearly a 1/2 hour for chicken 🐔 wings, shrimp boil, and even gumbo (watery). Summer, our host was cool and personable. She kept apologizing for the delay in getting our food. By the time it came, we packed up and left. Then we find out how bland everything was. A big disappointment! We came all the way from Chicago for an impromptu visit, to be disappointed!

Poke bar

Poke Bros. is a quick and delicious dining option with relatively healthy offerings. The atmosphere is clean, the staff is kind and efficient, and the service is fast. The poke bowls are fresh, flavorful, and generously portioned. The pricing is reasonable and the establishment maintains good sanitation practices without being overly cautious. There are options for non-fish eaters as well. Whether dining in or taking out, Poke Bros.
I stopped here as I was in town for work and staying nearby. I was greeted when I walked in and when I left. I had the Duke and the bowl was pretty damn good. I was not expecting this good of a bowl in Memphis but it rivaled others I’ve had on both coasts. Nice job y’all.
Raul R — Google review
The food here is pretty good. The lack of fountain drinks and the large plastic wall they have all over are really the only draw backs. I also wouldn't be upset if they actually filled their serving spoons up with tuna when they made your bowl.
Eric C — Google review
The food is great, however, the staff is rude and have very bad attitudes. The three ladies that work here never greet upon entering the restaurant and I always feel rushed and unwelcome. The staff has an extremely dry demeanor and look mad every time I come here and at this point I’m ready try a new Poke restaurant. They literally just stare at you awkwardly. My mom has complained of the same issues at this location with the customer service. I will miss the food but it’s not worth coming here and feeling uncomfortable. The atmosphere also feels cold and the horrible customer service makes it worse. I will not be returning.

the sushi grade salmon is bright and fresh (thanks to fedex) .. veggies, seaweed, and other toppings are high quality. i created my own poke bowl, but they offer "signature poke bowls" for less adventuresome folks .. so good! thank you 🥰

I ordered for pickup and it was ready very fast (5 minutes from placing the order). I haven't had a lot of poke bowls, but this one was by far the best I've ever had, and maybe one of the best I've ever eaten. The quality of all the ingredients was high level, and the freshness of the tuna and salmon blew me away.

Everything we ordered was fresh and flavorful. The bowls were filling and made for a good dinner. It was nice to see that they had options for people who do not like fish, one of my kids has that preference. Overall a great stop for dining.

I ate at Poke Bros for the first time this week. I enjoyed it very much! I chose to build my own bowl. For the protein, I went with the ahi tuna. Delicious bowl. I left nothing behind. I recommend this restaurant.

AMAZING!!! I usually go to a different poke place, but I was at the doctor for a while and was in the area so I stopped here! Boy, am I glad I did. The workers are SO friendly, the place is SO clean, and yes, the poke bowls are SO delicious. I got a marinated salmon custom bowl, and it was the tastiest, freshest poke bowl I've had yet. 10/10 recommend!!!😝😝🥰😋

Asian fusion restaurant
Sushi restaurant
STIX Express Downtown is a contemporary asian fusion restaurant with sushi, hibachi and other Asian dishes prepared fresh to order. The staff are friendly and accommodating, walking in a little bit before they open happy to take your order early. The food is prepared to order and always fresh. If you're looking for an amazing Asian dining experience in the heart of Memphis then look no further than STIX Express Downtown!
Delicious, fresh food served as soon as items are made. You order at the the counter and they bring to you as they prepare. They will accomodate requests if they can. We really enjoyed our rolls and the spring roll was wonderful. The decor is adorable and the woman who waited on us was friendly and sweet.

For context, I am a career professional with almost 34 years focused on the customer experience. I love hibachi, and have been looking for a spot since I moved to town. I live in the area and after an evening walk, I decided to see if there was a restaurant available. I stopped by just before 7pm on Thursday, and the door was locked, which was surprising. Even more so, disappointing, as there was no sign on the door indicating why the restaurant had closed earlier than their posted hours of operation. Not to be deterred, I opted to try again. I went again on Friday and at 215, I let myself in only to be greeted by an employee who told me they were closed: I referenced the time and the sign on the door and online that stated their hours stated they were open until 230. In conversation with this employee, he told me that the manager had indicated that they were to close early if it was slow; no exceptions. I asked why there was no note posted on the door indicating why they had closed early and was told that was up to the manager. I left my card but to date have not received a phone call. Communication is the most important aspect of the customer experience. Had this establishment updated their hours of operation online to indicate a flexible end time, or even if they had posted a note on the door alerting customers to the temporary change, that would have gone a long way. Instead, failure to communicate leaves customers wondering and looking for alternatives.

This is a cool, hip, Asian fusion place in the downtown area. The parking could be tricky as the road side parking spots are always filled. And the parking lot, right opposite to it is most of the time filled. I parked my car a little far and walked down a block. Do this place have any parking dedicated to the customers? - well, I don’t know that. I stopped to pick some lunch quickly for myself as I was working from home. The place was not too packed and the service was quite fast. I got my spicy honey chicken ( the name was something like that, not much confident!) with a side of friend rice quite fast. The food was very hot and fresh. However, I felt it as to be like glorified Panda Express!! Taste wise it was almost similar. Portion size was even smaller. I haven’t tried their sushi though, and would definitely go back to give it a try.

We have been travelling in the States for two weeks and stumbled across Stix - great place with really fresh delicious food - a great change from burgers. Couldn’t recommend them any higher. Well worth the visit. Would give them six stars if possible.

We tried Stix for a quick dinner this evening. We tried the crab rangoons, egg roll, and chicken Lo Mein. We also tried the frozen saki & a local breweries pilsner for drinks. All very tasty.

A nice brisk 4 minute walk from Beale and South Main Street, this restaurant is a blink and you'll miss it. Typically it's not crowded and its a seat yourself establishment (something I LOVE) The food is of excellent quality and it surprisingly isn't a long wait for your food. Me and my wife received our meals in about roughly 10 minutes after ordering. I'd you have a taste for Asian cuisine, then STIX is your go to!
Sean T — Google review
I ate there about four times a week. It’s always the same. It’s always great. I eat the salmon or sometimes I get the steak and it’s grilled and they had vegetables and rice and they have a dynamite salad and salad dressing.

*edit* i decided on my own to update my rating. Three stars seems to be an unacceptable rating to some. It doesn't mean it's bad, it just means it wasn't the best fit for me. Also, it doesn't bother me that everything is disposable. I only stated it as an observation, that way anyone who hasn't been here before knows that the they don't have ceramic plates, etc. I think it's handy, if you don't have time to finish your meal or if an emergency comes up, you can just ask for a lid and quickly leave and take your food and forks with you.* We had a sushi burrito, which is just a large, unsliced sushi roll. It's wrapped in soy paper. It was alright. We also had the filet with fried rice and vegetables. The filet was cooked to order but it wasn't very seasoned, everything else was ok. I thought the menu was limited and over-priced. I likely won't be back but it's not due to the service or food. It was good, it just didn't float my boat. All utensils, cups and plates are disposable. The cashier was nice and the lady bussing the tables was very cheerful and friendly. The atmosphere was quiet. They sell mixed drinks and canned alcoholic beverages. The bathrooms were clean, modern and well stocked. They have separate one-toilet bathrooms for men and women. Everything but the toilet is touchless. The decor theme is light-hearted and fun to look at. They also sell cool t-shirts with the eatery theme on it. It's best if you grab a menu right when you walk in and peruse it so that you already know what you want before you follow the dragon and stand in front of the register. There is also public parking right across the street from the restaurant.
