Restaurant Munzur is a Rotterdam hidden gem. It looks like a humble storefront, right in the middle of the city. When you sit down…you might get that sense.
But from the first bite of the night…you forget all that…
Free starter bread is unreal.
Munzur special: all the cuts, so flavorful and tender, served with rice and some slaw (pro tip: Unsure of what to get, choose this)
If you are privy to a drink: can’t go wrong with Efes (Turkish beer).
I left the restaurant…and immediately wanted to go back for seconds…but I resisted the urge…I woke up the next day dreaming of the meal. I wished I had another night in the city…but there is always a next time. There will be a next time, and I will be back.

Atmosphere was Super! We enjoyed live music. I love Turkish food and the restaurant had it right. Staff was very personable, attention to detail was there. I didn't have to beg for napkins like in GE. They serve food late as well. Not your hit-and-run spot, be ready to hangout and enjoy. We had multiple drinks, appetizers, main course and dessert.

Little flavour to the adana kebab but was tender and soft. Small portion in general given the price of €17.
There was live music if you like that sort of thing. It was way too loud for me.
Good Turkish cuisine in Rotterdam. I have tried the grilled salmon. It was very tasty and freshly prepared. Friendly and professional staff.
We often dine at Munzur’s and I must say it is always a delightful experience. The highlight of the meal was definitely their grilled fish - it was cooked to perfection with a flavor that left me craving for more! Cozy and welcoming atmosphere and the staff is attentive and friendly
I stayed in Rotterdam during a 3 day business trip. Staying at the Holiday Inn Express which is 5 mins walk to this place. Very friendly staff and excellent service received on all 3 visits. Great atmosphere and nicely decorated restaurant. On each occasion I had the Mixed Kebab and the food was consistent and awesome on every occasion. Well recommended and Halal too.
A lot of families made the environment a bit noisy. Privacy was good since there is adequate distance between the tables. The food quality was ok with generous quantity.

Their Kapsalon is the best! I came to this place few minutes before iftar. And they really ensured that I got my seat and food on time. Besides, they also ensured the food was delivered warm. Whenever I want to eat kapsalon, I would go to this place again and again. No brainer.

The best kapsalon in Rotterdam. Its a little expensive (i paid 14 i think?) but the fries are crispy, the sauces provided are nice, the cheese is good, chicken döner is delicious and the salad is fresh and crunchy. For 14 I do find it worth it as the portion size is quite large. Its best to eat the kapsalon immediately or it may get soggy. The guys there were kind and helpful, service was fast. Also great location next to the bars and good opening hours, great place to eat after a party.

We got the chicken kapsalon that is basically a plate with fries, chicken meat, melted cheese, saus and salad.
It was our first time trying this dish but we really enjoyed it; everything was perfectly coocked. The portions are large.
The guys working are very nice and professional, the service is fast and the place reminded us of the typical food spots in turkey.

Easily the best kapsalon I have ever had - the portion size is quite good for two people.
The kapsalon is not greasy but at the same time it is delicious. Good quantity of meat, lettuce, the fries are crisp and the sauces are good too.
Also enjoyed the Falafel, very crispy and tasty.
Would like to mention, kudos to the waiter, very respectful and patient guy with a smile on his face.
The only downside, the place can get too crowded.

Meanwhile, when you find yourself reunited with your college batchmates in a beautiful city, you know something special is about to unfold. We kicked off the evening with a few wonderfully crisp IPAs at Spaansekade
To top it off, we dove into two absolute flavor bombs at Jaffa Shoarma:
Maffia Special with Chicken Shoarma: warm pita bread stuffed with melted cheese, fresh salad, and perfectly spiced, roasted chicken.
Maffia Special Döner Kebab: the same comforting pita magic but with juicy döner kebab that hit all the right notes.
Good beer, great food, and even better friends; what more could you ask for? It truly was an amazing evening, filled with laughter, nostalgia, and bites worth remembering
Narrow space with limited mobility. Signs at the entrance should also have english translation to know which queue o take. Workers should also take a nicer approach on clients. Positives are the amazing food and quickness of service. 👌🏽
Exactly what I expected. Someone claimed kapsalon was invented here. Not sure it that’s true. I’d believe her word on it. But I also can’t imagine it being invented here for some reason. Anyway, nice.

We went on a Saturday, not sure if it was a special night, and there was a delicious buffet in the basement. So many salads and Tajine dishes to choose from! And there was live music too, which made the whole evening more lively and amazing :) would recommend everyone to come here for real Moroccan food!

Very good food in general. We had the iftar buffet, which at 39 euros was a steal for customers I feel, given the quality and quantity of food. The restaurant is well decorated and ambiance is nice too.

Went here for the first time a few years ago and it was delicious. This time we went with groupon and got the special groupon menu. With the starters there was a chickensalad which had hardly any chicken in it, but the spinache and bell pepper salad were good. Main course lamb was good, but the main course with chicken was to dry. Dessert with ice cream was good. The service was really great and friendly, they were also in for a joke or two.
Comfortable atmosphere in a great location. Fantastic food I'll be revisiting again after a full 5 course meal.

Some of the food is good and authentic, though the food was very simple. Don't really like the bread which was served with it, not much taste. I think for vegetarians this place is not great. My friend had lamb which was good.
Dessert was really terrible. It was an Italian dessert we chose, but no Italian would approve of this. Better to skip the desserts.
Staff was friendly, but slow, barely came to our table to ask if we wanted another drink, they could've made a lot money out of us. They also got our order wrong twice, my friend had to eat his main course way before mine was ready.
Atmosphere is cute, although on the outside it looks rather dodgy. Also a pity that despite of a terrace being there we couldn't sit outside.

The food was pretty good and you got a lot but what let's this place down is the service. I have a dairy allergy and asked the server if one of the lamb dishes contained milk. He almost scoffed, saying no (like it was a silly question), not great, but at least I thought it should be ok. When it arrived, it had tzatkiki on it, which obviously contains milk. The rest of the food was good but not the best experience.
I was stunned with the spareribs!
They were incredibly tender and the BBQ Sauce was not overtaking the flavor of the meat. The service is fast and friendly.
The ambience was also very nice with Turkish music in the background.
We were offered Turkish tea as well after the meal.

Atrocious customer service. Amazing experience with Uber Eats: ordered, expected delivery in 15 minutes.. the time passes by and no updates.. I asked for updat through the app but nothing, tried to call the restaurant, nothing.. I decide to wait, after more than 1hr of delay I contact the assistance, they also try to reach this " restaurant" and no one answers.. I cancel the order and together with the assistance of Uber eats we make sure this place gets reported, an investigation will occur as apparently it is not the first complaint.. for the ones who " work" there: no one forces you to work here, or to do delivery in these apps. If you don't like it or you have no will or ownership, just stay home and don't ruin other people's dinners and nights.. just stay home, find another job or do whatever you want, but don't act like this. No one called me back, not even one message of excuse.. nothing. I really wish you to find something else for your lives because this is just not for you.

This place is awful to order from. Not only did it take over an hour for 1 burger to be delivered to an address 10 minutes away, but I had to call back twice just to get the same “it’s on its way” message. I wouldn’t be writing this review of both happy with this happens every single time from this place and I think it’s going different and I tried to believe in it, but get met with disappointment each time. If you are hungry do not order from here.
If you order from Thuizbezorg you need to wait more than 2h while we live 10 min aways. Gave a call after 1h, they said 30 min max.

The burger is very average, not bad but quite forgettable frankly although it’s decently sized. The fries are extremely under salted but prepared freshly and are crispy and delicious. The portions and prices are also very reasonable. If the burger was a bit more enjoyable or exciting this could easily be 4 stars.
I waited about 30 min to get my order. When I asked a guy for how long I should wait (after 20 min of silence), he said he doesn't know when I can get my order.
Food overall was not good. I took burger with falafel. And it was the worst falafel i've ever had. Do not recommend anyone. Do not waste your time.

Was the first and the last time!
Used the delivery app “Thuisbezorgd” to order here, which said they could deliver in 10 minutes. Slightly ambitious, I thought, since the drive over here would already take about 10 minutes, but if they’d done it in 20 I would have been very happy too.
When the food after 45 minutes had not been delivered but was listed in Thuisbezorgd as delivered, I called. They told me they report it “Delivered” when they finish the order (which beats the purpose of this status system and gives off a false impression on the delivery times).
Once arrived over an hour after ordering, the food was lukewarm at best and I felt I should’ve ordered someplace where they at least provide accurate delivery times.
1/5, would not recommend for delivery.

The pizza is store bought, probably from a supermarket so its frozen and tastes like a pizza that would cost me no more than 3 minutes of work and 2 euros to buy. You never expect your pizza to be frozen and store bought when you pay 9 euros for it.

Very beautiful restoration, perfect for the cozy dinner occasions. We went there because of good recommendations from other people, and we’re not disappointed! Very delicious food and magnificent atmosphere! The prices are medium, but the quality of food is very good still! If you are searching for a restaurant with the great variety of healthy food, I think that is the perfect spot!

Really lively buzzy place, we booked but had to wait for a table as it seems you can just rock up and sit at an empty table. Very busy when we arrived but calmed down quite quickly. We chose to sit outside as it was a nice evening but as non smokers that may have been an error when tables either side lit up when they had finished eating.
Food was good but wasn’t hot, probably due to the poor service we received from our server. We mentioned when paying the bill and the manager/owner knocked 10% off as an apology which was decent of him. Menus available in several different languages which is good.
Quick service, friendly staff, and generous portions. Unfortunately, the food was quite disappointing. The meat didn’t taste fresh or tender, and it arrived at our table surprisingly fast. The inside of the kebab was completely red, which was not pleasant at all.
A colorful, vibrant, and global place. You can enjoy Middle Eastern flavors while sipping your beer. The portions are large and filling, and overall, the food is really tasty.

The tea was nice, and the coffee was good. The sarma was okay…not bad, but missing a bit of flavor. I sat outdoors, and unfortunately, there was bird poop on the table, which wasn’t very pleasant. Overall, not that impressive in terms of food, but it does look like a nice place to sit and have a drink.
I ordered the Tavuk Sis Kebab – grilled chicken breast marinated in saffron and yogurt, served with rice, curry mayonnaise, haydari, Shiraz salad mix, and fries. Unfortunately, the chicken was overcooked and extremely dry, making it unpleasant to eat.
Sitting outside was even worse: the smell of sewage was strong, and seagulls were constantly flying overhead and leaving droppings everywhere, which made the whole experience uncomfortable and unappetizing. The atmosphere felt unhygienic and far from enjoyable.
I paid 25€ with soft drinks. The Coca-Cola was either not original, either with lots of water.
Overall, it was a disappointing meal in an unpleasant setting. Definitely not a place I would recommend.
Great atmosphere, the place is enormous so there's almost always space to sit. We had breakfast and it was big in variety. I would not come back necessarily for breakfast because nothing was "outstanding" but I am sure we are gonna come back for the real food and re-assess. The only problem is that when is crowded.. is REALLY crowded. Bathrooms are very clean! Waitress was super kind.

Nice and intimate concert venue, feels like a lange bar with a stage. Watched a concert of Steph Strings and she's a great performer, does everything by herself, great voice and wonderful guitar player. Lotte Walda, the support act was a pleasant surprise, great voicemail.

I was a bit unlucky with my timing so I couldn't see any artists performing. Nevertheless, great selection of drinks and the staff helped me with getting an idea what I can imagine behind the terms on the menu. Also some adaptions due to allergies were made. As some other places were quite underwhelming in regards of vegan options for me, this became my little safe space during my trip. Thank you so much Rotown Crew!

Rotown is a nice place to have a drink and enjoy a great variety of concerts. Also have the option to eat nice food for good price. Oh! I discovered some weeks ago that since February every Sunday you can eat breakfast from 10 to 13. I tried once and was delicious! All you can eat for 8,50€ (drinks excl). Nice right? ;)
Fantastic vegan spot. The vegan chicken was SO crispy and the fries were also really really good. Service was quick and friendly and I LOVED the general vibe in the venue. If I lived in Rotterdam I have no doubt I'd be a regular here.

Very unusual kapsalon. The sauce was quite different from what I had expected, but it was a pleasant surprise. I loved that the salads were fresh and crunchy. The meat was also fine. Fast and quick service and location just outside of the Rotterdam Central station.

My brother and I are visiting the Netherlands for a few weeks, and we recently spent this past week in Rotterdam.
We had an Airbnb on Ungerplein near the Rotterdam Centraal train station, and we wanted a quick and affordable takeaway meal near us.
After searching on Google maps, I located Konak, which is right across the street from Rotterdam Centraal.
Konak offers traditional doner and kebab as well as pizza, and was busy for takeaway service for dinner on a Monday evening.
We ordered the doner broodje, the kebab broodje and a large fries with mayonnaise.
I liked the doner broodje the best, which comes with fresh vegetables and a mixture of sauces that tastes divine. The sandwich, which costs 5 euros, is massive and will definitely fill you up.
Konak is an excellent option for affordable food to go near Rotterdam Centraal.
The last time I ate there was 10 years ago. Went there a week ago and the quality hasn't changed. Clean and good food, friendly staff.
If you are hungry and need a fast bite, this one is the better one. A bit pricey compared to 10 years ago :)
We have all enjoyed chicken döner and lahmacun. Garlic sauce and hot sauce made our döner wraps extra delicious. People are very friendly and gave gifts to our kids.

We decided to take a quick bite in this marvellous rural kebab. The falafel inside the wrap we ordered was as crispy as the sun dried crickets I had 2 years B.C (before Covid) in Mexico. The salad was bland, like fermented leaves harvested over the summer.... I’d go again for the vibes, but not for the food ... attached is some of the droppings

Absolutely amazing taste of cofte and urfa kebab!!! You could tell the effort given to the taste of the food and customer service!!! It's a tiny tiny place but don't be missleaded by the appearance as the flavour ( as they call it there Tayste with the smile :) is GREAT!!!
