Euromast is a must-visit TV tower in Rotterdam, offering breathtaking 360-degree views of the city. It features dining options and two luxurious suites, as well as thrilling activities like abseiling and a zipline. The tour around Euromast includes exploring various residential typologies, IT and media compounds, educational facilities, and sustainable projects such as the SAWA housing tower.
Great tour! It was so much fun and very entertaining, and you discover even more of Rotterdam's beauty! I would definitely recommend doing everything, including the scoop at the end (if you're not afraid of heights, of course). I highly recommend this attraction.
Debson D — Google review
A must! Incredible views. We went up just before sunset and then after sunset, we had a drink and A DELICIOUS AND GENEROUS portion of their fries with truffle mayo and parmesan, so worth it. After that we went back out to experience the views of the lights. It's like 3 experiences in 1. Highly recommend it to locals and tourists.
Magriet J — Google review
Absolutely stunning views and great hospitality. The restaurant, which is accessible by a high-speed lift up overlooks the spectacular scenery of Rotterdam. Food was delicious and service was really friendly. Highly recommended for a visit if you're in Rotterdam.
Victor T — Google review
The waiter was pretty rude! One of the waitresses got us a table with a nice view but that was all of the good experience. We waited 20 minutes to order and when the waiter came he told us that table has a reservation and we had to move to another one so we left the restaurant.
Gosha R — Google review
A moment suspended between sky and earth. The Euromast restaurant offers a culinary experience as memorable as the view that accompanies it. Each dish reflects a refined balance of flavors and a meticulous presentation, enhanced by discreet and attentive service. The panorama over Rotterdam, especially at sunset, lends the whole experience an atmosphere that is both intimate and spectacular. An exceptional address perfect for celebrating a special occasion or simply savoring the Dutch art of living with elegance.
Aimen — Google review
We saw Euromast from the outside. I think the entrance fee is too much. We didn't go up the tower. But it gives a different atmosphere to the city. The park right next to it is very well organized. There is a nice walking area.
Mehmet Ş — Google review
Was great to br able to see Rotterdam from such a height and there is a small video you watch to show the history of Rotterdam. Would have been better if they had signs to show what you are looking at once you are on the viewing platform. Instead there is a QR code you can scan and then you are supposed to be able to point your camera at things and it will tell you what it was, however it doesn't work well at all. You also have to buy a more expensive ticket to go to the highest point. They also do abseiling down the Euromast which wasn't widely advertised.
Jasmine P — Google review
Great views of Rotterdam, and the extra pay to go up to the top is worth it, but the down side is the wait to get into the Euro scoop, you wait out side is the wind and rain. But the view is worth it. Wrap up warm if you visiting in the winter

The Tea Lab in Rotterdam is a popular spot for indulging in a variety of sweet and savory treats paired with an extensive selection of natural and diverse teas. They offer different versions of their High Tea to accommodate various dietary needs, including options for allergies and brunch enthusiasts. With over 46 fresh tea varieties and delightful coffee creations, The Tea Lab provides a perfect setting for a leisurely tea session with friends or family.
Great atmosphere to study and work. An extensive range of tea, so you’ll definitely find the one you like. They also have coffee with various syrups. And if you want to grab something to eat, it’s also a nice place for that! I would say the only minus I experienced was lack of daylight. The lights weren’t that bright, so it kinda created a sluggish atmosphere.
Kamilė M — Google review
Great space if you need to work. There is plenty of places to sit. Very relaxing atmosphere. They have wide selection of teas like the name suggests plus their brownies are crazy good. They have Asian inspired sandwiches which are very tasty too. We came here already couple of times!
Agnieszka Z — Google review
The café has plenty of space, lots of greenery, and serves great coffee, despite being more focused on tea. It's an ideal place for getting work done in a relaxed atmosphere.
Katarzyna P — Google review
such a cosy cute place with amazing vegan options! Cake and food - I got the vegan sandwich and iced coffee and it was delicious! I’ll be back for sure! ❤️🌸
Carissa A — Google review
If you need a place to set up to work, this is a good spot. The tea selection is rather good, though it’s pretty expensive for the amount of tea leaves you get. Only expect 1-2 brewings from the amount you get. As an avid tea drinker, I am used to getting 3-4 brews out of my leaves. Also, they serve the tea in a glass cup that is hot to touch. Not sure why a place with tea in the name doesn’t serve the tea in a more appropriate vessel. I wouldn’t come back here just for tea.
Jeremy L — Google review
Spacious place and super friendly staff. Really enjoyed their matcha latte.
Erwin020 — Google review
Finally a huge place to collaborate especially for students and professionals with free WiFi, electricity plugs, great service, a variety of tasty drinks (also giraffe coffee) and tasty dishes. I love the atmosphere and the open space. As a student I would have loved to work here! Prices are average for Rotterdam. This time I had coffee, matcha latte and a sandwich. Don’t forget to try the cakes!
Hai D — Google review
Stumbled across this cafe by chance & now I work from here every chance I get. Well equipped for working professionals, the interior and wide tables help with focus🧘‍♀️ Would be great to see more gluten free options on the menu, but matcha & coffee selections did not disappoint 🫶🏻

Dudok in Rotterdam is known for creating the famous Dudok apple pie with a secret recipe, now found in many restaurants across the Netherlands. They also offer an extensive afternoon tea from 12:00 to 17:00 daily, featuring various teas from the renowned Betjeman and Barton tea company in Paris.
Great place with plenty of food and drink options! Last time we visited, we just had drinks and tried the corn ribs — something I hadn’t seen anywhere else. They were delicious, especially the sauce on top, which added a really nice touch. Definitely worth trying!
Lucas K — Google review
We came to this place to try the famous dudok apple pie and what can we say: we love it and we can wait to come back to try other cakes on the menu and also lunch options. The place looks small from the outside but inside its actually very big. We could sit immediately even if we arrive at a busy lunch time. Together with the apple pie we also got fries and a tapbier. Everything was very good and also the waiters that served us were all very nice and professional. While we were sitting we saw giant sandwiches being carried around and they all looked delicious so we will be back soon. I suggest to come here to everyone who is in the city to try a very good and tasty apple pie! Also the prices are lower than what i would expect in rotterdam
Elena B — Google review
Visited in Oct 2025. Lunch for two. The inside of the restaurant is huge. With reservation, we got table on the less crowded side. Apple pie is the main reason we decided to come. We also order tuna melt, avacdo (toast) and lemonade. Apple pie is definitely a must have. Whipped cream required extra charge. The other two items were also good. Service is friendly, Enjoyed a relaxing and tasty meal.
Joseph L — Google review
Historical modern location: a nice break inside an architecture masterpiece! Good food, quiet mood, a real touch of elegant and well designed modernity!

Baker & Moore is a trendy eatery located on the bustling Westblaak street in Rotterdam. The interior boasts an industrial-chic vibe with wooden accents, and there's a charming terrace for outdoor dining. Despite its urban location, the terrace offers a peaceful setting away from traffic. The menu features a variety of freshly made sandwiches, salads, high tea options, coffee, slow juices, breakfast items, and delectable cakes.
Very cute and cosy cafe! Nice lighting and lots of flowers made for a very relaxing atmosphere. The waiter was friendly and made sure we were set up very well. We ordered the Luxury Breakfast Shelf for two persons which came with: - Orange juice - Croissants - Brown bread - Sourdough bread - Cinnamon bread - Overnight oats - Eggs - Toppings (young+old cheese, meats, hummus, jam, butter, greens) All was delicious and filled us up perfectly - not too much and not too little. This place is definitely one to come back to <3
Anouk R — Google review
Baker & Moore is a conveniently located spot, perfect for a relaxed breakfast or brunch in the city. I particularly enjoyed their Red Slowjuice, which was fresh, flavourful, and perfectly balanced. The breakfast platter was another highlight, offering a variety of tasty options that made it a satisfying and enjoyable choice to start the day. My husband tried the Grilled Baker. While it wasn’t entirely to his taste, he still finished the dish, which speaks to its overall quality even if it wasn’t a personal favourite. The atmosphere here is very casual and can be very busy with young families with kids, but it is an easy place to settle in without feeling rushed. I also loved the abundance of greenery in their décor, which gave the space a fresh, welcoming, and vibrant feel. Overall, our visit was a very pleasant experience. Between the convenient location, refreshing drinks, and well-prepared breakfast options, I would happily return on a future trip to the city.
Heather M — Google review
One of the most delicious and varied breakfast spots in the area! The place is spacious and airy, with plenty of comfortable seating. Their sandwiches and toasts are made with high-quality bread, and it’s great that they also offer vegan options. Definitely worth a visit
Sinan O — Google review
Great brunch restaurant! The food is very delicious and well balanced of different nutrition n texture. I like the interior design very well, feels like home with flower decorations. The little kids corner is very thoughtful for family also!
C C — Google review
This is a great spot for brunch! The coffee is good and there are alternative milk options. The food is good too but quite expensive. They have a good selection of sandwiches, but only a limited selection of vegan meals. They offer discounts for guests of surrounding hotels, which is greatly appreciated.
Jakob H — Google review
A great bfast place. The grilled sandwiches was awesome!
T F — Google review
Lovely little breakfast place in the city of Rotterdam - ordered the breakfast platter both times I was there which was delicious and was served to me pretty quickly too. You also get a small discount if you stay at the easyHotel further up the road.
Matthew G — Google review
The service was quite slow—we had to wait a long time to order and ended up placing our second order at the checkout. I ordered the "Create Yourself" option and requested it as a toastie, but what I received was just a sandwich—ingredients placed on bread, not a proper toastie. The taste was good but nothing special. The coffee was slightly cold when served, and we had to wait again for a long time, possibly due to the busy Saturday morning. The high chairs we sat on were uncomfortable, with no hanger underneath for coats or bags. It’s worth trying, but don’t expect too much.

Great breakfast place! Staff were really kind and breakfast was also nice and fresh. I have ordered the hummus breakfast with grilled zucchini and pepper and the gluten-free baguette also tasted good. I recommend this place to try out.

Staff unfriendly, unrespectful… Many customers came and they served them before us during the first 30min even a table near us was served before us by the senior woman with ignoring us The waiter noticed us and talked to the seniors - but it seems they were happy we wait for that the Chief smiled on us and didn’t react 25min the senior came like a flower and gave us the menu like something normal…. To say « I didn’t forget you » despite she served the table near us 35 min before…. The coffee came 20min after our order and the cafe latte was… not really with coffee but more milky The experience was the worse in Rotterdam .. only the local were served properly with smile and in time As we are tourists, the service was so worse and we felt really the unwelcoming from all the staff …. We noticed all other tourists were not served properly and wait for too to have the menu or to be served We felt from them the tourists are not welcomed We do not recommended this place When we choose to open a place with customers, you choose to serve a service… if you don’t like people… you chose the wrong job
An. K — Google review
We had lunch here with 3 people and a toddler. It is a bakery stores in center of Rotterdam where you can have both breakfast and lunch. First, the staff. It is friendly staff and you are helped to your table. The food was delicious. We had 2x the homemade humus and 1x the goat cheese sandwich. And to finish, another scone and cheesecake. It was tasteful and not extremely expensive. The interior was a bit simple and mediocre because of that. There are certainly nice things in the business too but if they want to improve some they can start with this. And then the last one, the music. This one was present but in the background. Besides that, it was nothing special. All in all, though, a super toko. It's good food and not expensive.
Coen H — Google review
I've eaten the best cheesecake ever here. Normally, I hate the taste of lemon in things, but the subtle hint of lemon really elevated it. I would love to go back and eat it again. Totally worth the price and hype from my colleague

Hidden garden bliss in the city – TourGuys tip! The Bakkerswinkel on Schiedamse Vest is a real gem. Behind the cozy café you’ll find a beautiful little garden where you can sit and escape the city buzz – perfect for a slow breakfast or lazy lunch. The service is warm and attentive, making you feel right at home. Food-wise, everything is fresh and full of flavor, but if you want our recommendation: go for the salmon sandwich with yellow beet salad. It’s light, surprising, and absolutely delicious. A spot that combines Rotterdam charm with real comfort – highly recommended.

What a treat this brunch was! Our food was excellent, and the service was so kind and attentive. Then, the atmosphere is second to none! Gorgeous views of the city and a peaceful garden! What could be better?
Sarah D — Google review
The entrance to the cafe was a little hard to find, but once you found it you were in a really idyllic cafe. The view of the skyline is beautiful. The cafe and rooftop terrace are urban chic and very inviting. I had an iced matcha latte with vanilla syrup and the “Triple Omega”. My extra requests were accepted in a friendly manner. In general, the service staff were very friendly and attentive. The food was really delicious. There could have been a few small improvements (for example, the egg yolk could have been more runny), but that's complaining on a high level. The prices are reasonable considering the location. The portions are a bit small, but it was perfect for me. I recommend everyone to have brunch there on a city trip to Rotterdam!
Tara H — Google review
Nice food, place is very instagramable, nice decorations, outside terrace is small and warm when sunny. Garden is not accessible. All in all very cute, romantic, and good food. Lift is old and creepy. You have to climb the last stairs from the highest floor reached by the lift to get to the cafe. Small cafe but unique. Difficult to find though

excellent service and delicious brunch! highly recommend!! A beautiful way to enjoy the view of the city. We booked the brunch high tea, and normally I am a bit sceptical about the quality of these high teas but I couldn't find any fault with this one. Everything was delicious!
Adventure_seeker — Google review
The rooftop garden is beautiful. The food is okay. The fries with parmesan and truffle mayonnaise are very strong in flavour. We asked an extra toast and it was not really good. The service is very bad. When we arrived, it was very disorganised. They asked for my name twice. The reception was not good. We had to get up to order because the waitress did not come to our table. We also had to go to pay the bill. I recommend it for the view, but only if you have a lot of time to wait.

Juffrouw van Zanten Kralingen is a family-friendly restaurant located in Rotterdam West. It offers a wide range of dining options from breakfast to dinner, along with an assortment of drinks. The establishment features a play corner and various toys for children, making it an ideal spot for families with young kids. Downstairs, there is a large playground equipped with plenty of toys, while upstairs, small toys are available in the cabinet to keep the little ones occupied at all times.
We had a brunch in this restaurant during our stay in Rotterdam. We genuinely enjoyed it: the food is absolutely delicious, the ingredients so fresh, and the staff is kind & nice! Moreover, there is an area for children where they cab stay and play, that's really great for families!

For brunch Juf van Z sits proudly on sunny side of Kralingen shopping street. The menu is extensive and morphs from morning pancakes to evening Sangria. Food is fresh and superbly presented ...something for everyone, even kids! Interior eating is split over three levels, and has a dedicated kid's play den with family toilet downstairs.
Donna M — Google review
The breakfast was delicious, and the staff were friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was lively, though a bit noisy with kids playing inside. If you don’t mind a bustling, family-friendly vibe, it’s a nice spot to start your day.

We stepped in for a quick breakfast beverage (Tea and Chai Latte) and a croissant and we were both very very happy. Especially the croissants are delicious. 🥐
Lea P — Google review
Nice little café with a great menu of drinks, food and cakes. We tried the vegetarian burger today and it was delicious. The staff, while helpful and friendly at service, seamed a little overwhelmed by the lunch crowd. Edit: the real value of this place can only be discovered if visited with kids. Then it becomes immediately a perfect little place.
Federica F — Google review
The coffee quality is outstanding — truly impressive. One of the best spots in Kralingen for a great coffee and a quick bite.
Takis K — Google review
A very nice place for families with small children. There is a big playground downstairs with lots of toys. This is also where the toilet is located. It can be difficult to find since there is no sign. There is no different between men and female toilets, but they have a big toiletroom available for families (children’s toilet and big toilet for parent). Upstairs they also have small toys available in the cabinet. So that the kids can be occupied all times. So it can be overbearing with all the loud noises around, especially if you are having a conversation and can’t hear each other well. But the menu is very good. There is a lot of options for small children, all kinds of kidsmenus and children’s drinks, like fruit water, babyccino, etc. Love their many choices. For the grown ups there are also lots of options, like healthy salads, bananas pancakes with different toppings to choose from, all kinds of avocado toast, brunch platter for at least 2 person and many more choices to choose from. Even theirs drinks menu is insane, too many yummie options to choose from. They even have Tony Chocolonely Milk (hot or cold available) and many warms drinks and cold drinks on their menu. A lot of their dishes are quite suitable to share with children as well, like the breakfast or the scones, etc. Must say their toast tastes great, but it was quite small for 1 person and I am a small eater. So ordering more dishes per person is wise and fortunately they have many options. The scones were a bit different than the scones I am used to in United Kingdom, less crumbling, less favourable, more like a neutral hard bread, but you can still taste the freshness of it so it was good with some clotted cream and strawberry jam on top. I am still happy they have scones with clotted cream in their menu since they are one of the very few in Rotterdam. Would definitely come back to this place to try out their other dishes. Maybe sitting outside when it is sunny. If we are eating out with family or friends with small children, this is definitely my number one place to go. Really enjoyed their friendly service, nicely vibe in the restaurant and the many delicious food.

Lovely food and good coffee. Great if you are with kids, perhaps not so great if you don’t like kids. Very friendly service, with a lot of patience…

Hotel New York is a chic riverside hotel located in the former headquarters of the Holland-America Line on the southern bank of the Maas river. This nationally landmarked building has been lovingly restored and converted into a four-star boutique hotel, featuring wood-paneled suites, vintage artifacts, and maritime-inspired dining options. The hotel offers stunning views of the water and Rotterdam skyline, making it a popular spot for high tea and leisurely meals.
Location - perfect, room - incredibly spacious, overlooking the river and quirky. The hotel itself has an industrial warehouse feel and is a bit of a one off. Wish we could have stayed longer. Only criticism is that breakfast didn't offer much for people who don't eat animal products. I was able to have some fruit, bread and peanut butter with a black coffee.

We visited for my husband’s birthday with a reservation for four, which included a welcome glass of champagne. The booking process was very smooth—quick replies and easy confirmation, which gave us a great first impression. Unfortunately, the experience at the restaurant itself didn’t quite live up to expectations. When we arrived, the staff member who welcomed us didn’t seem to check the reservation properly, so we were seated without being offered the welcome champagne. While waiting, two different staff members came to ask for drink orders, creating confusion. I eventually spoke with a more experienced team member who acknowledged the communication error and handled it professionally. Our assigned waiter after that point was excellent—friendly, attentive, and communicative. The gentleman who seemed to be supervising also handled the situation well and showed genuine care. The food, however, was a letdown. My tuna steak came too raw, despite requesting it medium, and my daughter didn’t finish her chicken. While the lentils and starters were enjoyable, the main courses didn’t stand out. On top of that, the temperature inside was uncomfortably warm, which added to our decision to skip dessert and leave earlier than planned. We had requested a candle in advance to celebrate the occasion, and while we didn’t stay for dessert, the team kindly brought it out anyway—a thoughtful gesture we appreciated. Overall, while the restaurant positions itself as a laid-back brasserie, I believe this iconic location deserves consistently high-quality service and well-prepared, simple dishes that leave guests saying, “We have to come back.”

Let’s start with the negative part: at check-in there were 2 young ladies with a bit of an attitude. Not super unfriendly but bitchy in the way of giving information and answering our questions. Something you should not expect in an hotel like this. The second was that when we received a phone call if we would like to upgrade with extra payment, the asked for the purpose of our stay, which was are honeymoon. It was noticed but they have nothing done with that. Not that they have too, but giving your costumers a little bit extra attention, would be appreciated. Rooms are nice, bed pillows are horrible for me. Everything is clean except for the texture like feeling on the front of the toilet. Porcelain should be smooth not rough. View is amazing if you book for the river Maas view. The historical feeling in this building is pleasant. Breakfast is expensive but good, don’t forget to ask for an omelette in the kitchen. It was the best one I ever ate. Parking is expensive with 35 euros per day. So all good but enough points for improvement.

This was a most disappointing experience after we had been looking forward to staying at Hotel New York for a number of years. The hotel feels as if it has got a crisis of identity and whilst it is a very interesting historic building, I do not feel that it has been well developed into a 4 star hotel. The prime focus of the hotel appears to be the bar/restaurant which is in the prime position at the front of the hotel and is clearly very busy. This makes it very noisy and not a good place for a relaxing birthday dinner. You approach the hotel from the rear and the entrance is tucked away in a corner. It is not well signposted, has weeds growing around rht paving and has a number of steps up to the reception making it very difficult for anyone with impaired mobility. I could not find any mention of this problem on the hotel web site and it was never mentioned when I asked about access before I booked. There was no porter service and only one luggage trolly which was of limited use because of the number of stairs. Many rooms are only accessible by stairs and there were 2 steps in our room. There is no parking at the hotel but there is an excellent private parking garage adjacent to it but this needs to be booked and cost us 54 Euro for 2 days. The room was not to 4 star standards and lacked a number of things like fridge, USB charging points and easily accessible power sockets. The bed side light switches were also a long stretch from the bed. The bathroom had been modernised and was very good, it is a shame that the room had also not been given a suitable makeover. Food in the restaurant at dinner was very good but the overall dining experience was spoilt by the noise levels and hussle and bussle, it was more like a city centre bar than a 4 star restaurant. The breakfast buffet was nothing special and the staff at breakfast clearly did not want to be there. We ended up cutting short our stay because the difficulty of accessing the hotel was causing my Wife distress as she has impaired mobility. The hotel has a fabulous location and a great history but I do not feel that it has been developed very well. The developers should take a look at the Titanic Hotel in Liverpool to see what a great job can be done of developing such an old historic building. If we had not been to the Delft WestCord hotel and had an excellent stay, I would be avoiding this company in future.

Great hotel; slightly dated but that’s part of the charm. Amazing building. Good breakfast. Only reason it isn’t a 5 stars from me is because we tried to have a drink in the bar (not the exclusive, need to book downstairs one just the normal main bar) but there was a huge queue (despite several empty tables) and we were told that despite being hotel guests we had to wait alongside the non guests. Wouldn’t expect to have to do that. Otherwise great.

Hotel New York offers stylish design and spacious rooms, each decorated with carefully chosen, original pieces that give the place a unique charm. My room view was very lovely, looking to Erasmus bridge. I stayed in April when the weather was wet and cold, and while the atmosphere was wonderful, the room heating was unfortunately not sufficient, which made the stay less comfortable than expected. Keep in mind to bring warm clothes to wear in the room :)

If you are in Rotterdam and taking a Holland America cruise, you should 100% book at this hotel for a stay before your cruise. The hotel is really cool. Historic but new feeling. They have done a wonderful job turning this "office building" into a collection of great rooms with great views. We arrived the day before our cruise and checked-in easily. Walked down to the Foodhallen and had a relaxed meal and some drinks. The morning of our cruise, we enjoyed a great breakfast at the hotel and then simply walked 2 minutes down to the ship. CRAZY EASY!!! Love this hotel!!
Jeff W — Google review
Disappointing experience from the start. There was no smile, no sense of welcome at the entrance. While we were waiting, the staff member who asked about reservations didn’t even look at us, instead speaking past us to people behind. A simple acknowledgment of the first couple in line would have been the respectful approach. Another colleague later handled things more appropriately, but by then the poor first impression was set. The bar wasn’t crowded, yet we were left waiting unnecessarily, only to be told in the end to “just choose a place at the bar.” If that was the plan all along, there was no need to waste our time. The bartender was the one positive note—friendly and attentive—but overall the service at the entrance left a very negative impression. When staff give the impression they don’t want to be there, it makes guests feel unwelcome. Not worth the hype. Won’t be returning.

Lof der Zoetheid is a charming spot in Rotterdam that's perfect for indulging in sweet treats and an extensive high tea. Founded by Anastasia and Elena de Ruyter, this place offers a delightful array of options, from coffee and pastries to their famous high tea. The establishment also features a takeaway counter for those looking to grab something on the go.
Excellent place in Zwaanshals area for something as sweet as this. Had high tea here and it was delicious. Service was good and friendly. We couldn't eat all the food that came with the high tea. However they provided packaging to carry it home. Made lovely deserts for dinner that evening. Really good of them, less wasteful too. Recently visited their "afhaalloket", which is just nextdoor to their corner cafe location. Had a James Brownie and a espresso. Both delicious. Service with a smile. Keep your chin up @LDZ!

Love the organic meals and drinks they serve. Super cosy atmosphere with the sun going through in mornings. And the best is that is single-use plastic free!

Nice loose tea and cake, but didn't like the ambiance inside so much. It's one big open room with rather bad acoustics so it gets pretty loud when the place is full - and it was when I was there. There was a large group of ladies having High Tea when I visited and I do have to say that looked really good. They also seemed to be having a great time, so perhaps this is more of a place to go to in group and not to quietly enjoy a cup of tea.
Sofie C — Google review
Tasty coffee, lunch, and desserts here! Friendly service. Other groups having afternoon high tea looked great, we'll be back to try it ourselves. A little expensive for the portion sizes.

Super nice high tea. Very nice staff that always brought new cold water and tea water. Taking not eaten food with you in the end is no problem at all. Unfortunately they only had a table in a super sunny spot for us, although we reserved a table beforehand and had a baby with us... Some of us did not feel so well afterwards because of all the sun and it was not the best for the food 😔

Very convenient to order online for delivery. I ordered the birthday box for my daughter and mini cupcakes to bring to school. It’s nice that they have gluten free options. Customer service is very fast and helpful. I liked the brownies but found the cupcakes too dense and sweet. My husband (who doesn’t have a big sweet tooth unlike me) however loved the cupcakes and found the brownies too sweet so to each their own. Overall a good experience!

Chinese restaurant
Shanghai Papa is a trendy Chinese restaurant in Rotterdam that finds the perfect balance between tradition and innovation. Founded by Maggie Chau as a tribute to her father, a chef in Chinese-Indian cuisine, the restaurant offers a unique culinary experience. Here you can taste not only authentic dishes from various regions of China and Hong Kong but also homemade creations like egg tofu and vegan Koo Lo Kai.
We recently visited this Sichuan restaurant with a large group after a busy day, and everyone was quite hungry. We started with appetizers, enjoyed two delicious teas, and many of us, including myself, opted for vegetarian dishes. I chose the Typhoon Shelter Tofu, which was excellent. My friend selected the Veggie Delight, but found it overly sweet. Note that the portions are on the smaller side. The restaurant tends to get busy in the evening, so making a reservation is advisable. The service was outstanding, with attentive and responsive staff.

came here on a monday night for dinner. Arrived earlier than the RSVP. They were very accommodating to us two. Let’s start off with the food. Ordered 3 dimsum platters. The soy bean rolls pretty good. Good crunch and flavor. Pork Bao Buns (2) really good Soup Dumplings: they could have had more soup but it was yummy We decided to split for the main course half duck with no bones & noodles. After almost an hour waiting we finally got our main dishes. The main course was okay. The reason why I gave it a star was because the noodles and duck tasted simple as if i went to a normal chinese takeout. The duck was so expensive for what it was in my opinion which was ridiculous. RDAM alone is pricey however i dont believe the duck was reasonably price. Apart from the food, the service was also okay. The girl was sweet however she was not very attentive to our table. we had to remind her a few times to pick up our empty bottles and plates since the table was very tiny. On top of that when asked for tap water I was denied which I then had to buy a water bottle. Overall, place was good for dimsum & that’s about it. Dont think I’d be back to be honest.

The best and most unique radish cake I’ve had so far. The Aubergine cake and drunken chicken wings had a nice subtle taste, preserving the original flavor of the food. The seasonal veggie stir fry was a bit underwhelming though, despite the good taste.

A GEM in the centre of Rotterdam near Blaak. Not a hidden gem as loyal customers know where it is and no doubt new customers would have heard of this amazing restaurant. The décor, the ambience, the super friendly staff and of course the most amazing food. I had Yellow Typhoon cocktail, roast duck bao, xiao long bao and Shanghai wor tip (pan-fried dumplings). All absolutely perfect and can't wait to return soon

Loved the decor, loved the menu and especially the beautiful desserts! The duck was unfortunately overcooked, very crispy skin but the meat already turned fully grey but everything else was very tasty. Will come back again to try more of the menu.

The S.S. Rotterdam offers a unique experience as a hotel, restaurant, and tourist attraction all in one. This former cruise ship turned hotel provides colorful rooms, free breakfast, and an outdoor pool for guests to enjoy. Visitors can book tickets for a dinnertime cruise on the pancake boat to get an overview of the city and its port. The Museum Rotterdam offers insight into the city's history with a one-hour overview.
Lovely hotel. It really felt like we were on a cruise. Lovely room with a view, and friendly staff. Breakfast buffet was great and we had it every day. On the last night, we had dinner on the ship. It was delicious. Easy to get about. Water taxi from boat or bus stop nearby. We had a great stay.

Enjoyed our stay here and would stay here again. However upon our first arrival our cab dropped us off next to the ship and it wasn't clear which of the three ways to board was the correct entrance, and eventually we figured out the entrance was the stairway tower with the broken elevator. There was also a noticeable difference between the breakfast buffet on the weekend and the weekday breakfast buffet. But we loved the retro vibe and the vintage luggage and ship displays. Plus walking the nearby small neighborhood which has a couple good restaurants.

A beautifully maintained ocean liner from a bygone era. Now it’s a hotel, museum and restaurant. It’s free to enter and roam around the public areas or visit the cafe and restaurant. However the all area tour requires the purchase of a ticket. There is a small cinema which is free to enter and showing a short video of what travel would have been like on this ship. From the top deck you also have a good view of Rotterdam and the harbour. I recommend to combine this visit with the FENIX migration museum which is in walking distance and gives a broader overview and shows videos of shipping of that era including film material of the SS Rotterdam.

Had drinks and appetizers in the Captain's lounge of the former Holland America flagship. They were very and the G&T was well presented, decorated with mint leaves and strawberries. While undoubtedly a great ship in the 1950s, I'm glad we are sailing on the new one tomorrow.

We had an excellent stay on the SS Rotterdam. We stayed for two nights in a deluxe room, including breakfast, and had dinner in the Lido restaurant on one of the evenings. This was our sixth stay on the ship. During previous visits, we stayed in a family room, which I don’t recommend due to ventilation system noise. The watertaxi platform is very convenient, allowing easy access to various locations in Rotterdam. It’s also a very pleasant walk from the ship to Hotel New York, the Erasmus Bridge, the Cube Houses and the Markthal. The staff were friendly and we had a wonderful time.

Honestly just a fantastic place to stay! Really felt like a unique one of a kind hotel. We were there for a week in July and my children talk about it every day. The little paddling pool for children on the top deck is fantastic!! The rooms are spacious and charming. But our favourite part was probably the water taxis which pick you up right outside and zip you across to the centre in minutes. Absolutely blew us away and we’d love to visit again one day!
Anna — Google review
My wife and I really enjoyed this hotel. The location is excellent with water taxi service right onto the ship. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Great breakfast and restaurant. The Lido open air deck is fantastic! Our room was a suite which was very nice. Finally, free shuttle to the cruise terminal (at least when cruising on Holland America, not sure about other cruise lines).
Jeff Y — Google review
Water pressure is too low for reasonable shower. Size of the rooms is very good. My biggest concern with this property is that I was locked into the emergency escape stairwell with no way either back into the rest of the ship nor out of it. This is dangerous and unacceptable and the front desk did not recognize this problem.

Best bistro in Rotterdam no doubt. Luckily to be here on the season of white asparagus with an amazing soup. Meat experience platter is a perfect variety mix. Flank steak, duck breast with candied cabbage sauce, and the typical white asparagus with ham are all on fabulous. Specially need to point out the fries. If you like crispy fries it’s the best cut you can eat in the Netherlands. Hazelnut ice cream got really strong flavor and the cocktails period up the whole meal flawless.

Here, in the heart of Kralingen, the weary traveller might stumble upon this cute little place callled BOMM (Best of MoMents). Sit down, have a drink and order a nice meal. Be it lunch. Be it dinner. Be it a three-course meal or just a main dish. Your mouth will love you for it and if your stomach had had tastebuds, it would have loved you, too. The two owners (brother and sister) are lovely people. Friendly, chatty and cheerful. During one of my visits - as I come here quite often - they promised me that one day ... one blessed day ... they will come to my boxingbag class and write a review on Google maps about it. I am really looking forward to that day. For now weary traveller, enjoy your meal here and say hi to Oi and Steven for me.

We had a nice lunch at Bom. The tarte tatin was very delicious. The portobello jackfruit burger was nice, although at 19€ overpriced. Especially cause the jackfruit part was very minimal.

This place is legit for brunch. You will wait a bit to be served but the waiting is acceptable. The interior is trendy and the food is pretty decent, although portions are not large.

The Vlaamsch Broodhuys Nieuwe Binnenweg Rotterdam is a bakery in the center of Rotterdam that serves delicious bread and pastries. The café and terrace are lovely and clean, and the service is super friendly and fast. The young crew is always helpful and cheerful.
Warm and welcoming staff, always friendly and kind. Food is amazing, we have been regularly having our breakfast with a beautiful crossaint and a cappuccino. They have a lot of varieties that deserve to be tasted! Either you are a tourist in search of a good bakery or a local with a desire to try out something new and authentic, come to visit Vlaamsch Broodhuys.

Came here for a quick lunch again. The freshness and quality of everything served is immaculate and I can easily recommend this place. The salad tasted amazing, the avocados felt fresh and creamy, the nuts sprinkled all over added a serene crunch and the leafy greens were tasty. The bread was fresh had an interesting taste and alongside the butter, felt delicious to consume. The juice was served fast and was very refreshing. I love this place and will visit again soon. Nice place, good and fresh food, decent service. Will go again for sure.

Great spot for a quick, healthy breakfast. The smoked salmon toast was fresh and flavorful, with excellent bread. Pastries were tasty too!

One of our few favorite places in Rotterdam. It just feel and taste so good. Amazing breakfast or brunch. Fresh, tasty, delicious. Only maybe, maybe, it could be served a little faster but who cares really ? 👍 PS : not everything we had is on the pictures. You can’t resist to add ‘extras’ from the bakery
Arnaud L — Google review
Lovely place, but the food could be improved. The staff were kind and friendly, and the atmosphere was really nice both inside and outside. The coffee was fine, though there were a few coffee grounds at the bottom of the mug. The boiled egg was fully cooked but served in a cup meant for soft-boiled eggs, which felt a bit odd. The “farmer’s ham and gouda cheese” sandwich looked great, but the ham and cheese slices were very thin, and the flavor was quite plain — a bit disappointing for €13. Overall, it’s a pleasant spot with great service, but the food didn’t quite meet expectations.

'Flemish style' may sound gimmicky but the fact is that they have some of the best tasting bread and pastries in the city. Everything is fresh and delicious, the café and terrace lovely and immaculately clean, and the service super friendly and fast and the young crew always helpful and cheerful. Highly recommended!

Great bread but rly rly expensive items on the menu. A sandwich for almost 13e which is in the end only one slice of sourdough bread with toppings. Tasty smoothie but it was mostly ice in the glass, barely no juice. Overpriced, definitely.

Anne&Max Korte Hoog is a charming café located in the heart of Rotterdam, offering a serene and beautifully crafted interior that provides the perfect setting for remote working or simply unwinding after a day of shopping. This café is renowned for its exceptional coffee made from Arabica beans, as well as its delicious breakfast options and delectable cakes. Whether you're in the mood for espresso drinks, filter brews, or their signature beverages, Anne&Max has something to satisfy your cravings.
Always a cozy place! Anne&Max is a delightful café, with high quality coffee - I absolutely love the oat latte and cappuccino. Their homemade juices are refreshing and delicious, and the sweets - tasty. Last time I decided to try something new - kurkuma latte (with oat milk), which was so incredibly good! And it fit the weather perfectly because of the spices (it was autumn). Further, the atmosphere is both leisurely and workable, but it all fits well. Additionally, the staff are always kind, smiley and helpful. Overall, I’ve always enjoyed this coffee place (in whichever city), and can’t go wrong with visiting for a good afternoon cup of tea.
Katerina D — Google review
Anne&Max really surprised me and my kid. as Limburgers we’re not used to this kind of breakfast setup. Fresh croissant, a little jar of granola, smoothie, scrambled eggs with bacon and spinach… it felt like a treat instead of the usual quick bite. The coffee was great, and everything looked clean and fresh. Best part for me: I could actually choose a juice without lemon, orange, or other sour fruits. With my allergy that never happens, so it was a first. My kid loved the baked potato chips with breakfast ! simple, but it made her day. Service was quick and warm. The place opens early and already had people enjoying breakfast when we arrived. Inside you can pick what you like best: lounge seats, bistro tables, or proper diner chairs.

A coffee stop to plan where to explore whilst in Rotterdam for the day. And had a couple of delicious large cappuccinos. Staff were very friendly.

Went here for a high tea with 3 people with a reservation. First when we walked in no one came to greet us and show us our table. It was quite busy, but we ended up asking them about it and they cleaned up a table for us. After this little rough start, it took about 40 minutes before the food arrived. We did get the tea already and could start drinking. When finally the food came, we noticed that the reason it took longer was because it was all freshly made. This was very nice and the food was all very nice, as was the tea. Overall do really like the place and the food. I definitely recommend going here for a high tea.

We ordered apple pie and carrot cake with take away. Cakes are p/p and taste is not so sweet. But they may be more tasty. It is centre of the city. Atmosphere is good.
Selin V — Google review
Went there with my partner and baby for some coffee and cake. Waited a while for service before going to the counter and ordering from there. We ordered filtered coffee, it tasted as if it had been standing for quite a while, was barely warm anymore. Quite disappointing. The caramel-chocolate cake was a disappointment; very dry as if it had been made days ago. Bananabread did not taste much better.

By Mi & Es is a charming and vibrant spot situated on the bustling Karel Doormanstraat. It offers an exceptional high tea experience with three different packages to choose from. The standard package, Package A, includes a delightful array of sweet and savory treats such as ganache and jam, assorted sandwiches, sushi, scones, croissants, and more. This place stands out for its extraordinary high tea experience that combines savory and sweet delicacies presented like works of art.
The local is beautiful, and the music playing in the background fits the ambience. The brunette girl who served us was lovely and impecable. Me and my friend tried the french toast, I found it too sweet, but my friend loved it, so it depends on your personal taste. Do believe it's a bit expensive and a bit of a splurge for a simple meal like we had.

We booked through SocialDeal for high tea, we got a bit more food than planned, including some extra macaroons and chocolate covered strawberries at the start and at the end to take home. Staff was really helpful and nice, food was amazing .

It's a cute place, I can see that gen z would really like the vibe. It's very social media freindly for those chasing likes and shares. The food was decent but nothing to be amazed by. I'd say try it out if your looking for a young hip girly vibe not that that's bad thing. It's just not my thing, granted I was dragged here by my girlfriend and her friend.
Ruben R — Google review
Before it was called Polaberry and now it is called By Mi & Es. Even through same decor and same interior design, the menu had definitely changed. Especially the different choices of the strawberries dipped in different coating like chocolate, strawberry sweet coating etc have significant lessen. Nowadays you can only choose strawberry in white chocolate or dark chocolate or milk chocolate. And a small choice of macarons and one kind of cake pops. The strawberries still tasted good, but less pretty and less choices than before. The french toast was different than what we are used to, very sweet and lack of eggs, you can only taste cinnamon, but they do give you plenty of fruits. Besides sweets we also ordered savoury dishes. Maybe because the place is relatively new so the staff made two mistakes with the order. Perhaps writing the order down instead of memorising would be better?
Hana K — Google review
After a long time not being able to see each other we planned a well deserved besties date at Polaberry. And we sure did have a good time at Polaberry. My friend had a taste of their delicious cocktails, and I've tried all of the mocktails #momlife. Situated along the Maas River just outside Rotterdam's city center, Zalmhuis is a historic and iconic seafood restaurant that underwent a complete renovation in 2020. It is renowned for serving exclusive salmon varieties such as Keta salmon from Alaska and house-smoked Scottish organic salmon, alongside dry-aged meat, vegan dishes, and oysters.
We went there on my Birthday and enjoyed the free meal for myself. Lovely staff as always. We ordered 5 course menu and loved them all. Side note, a customer still have to pay for the parking and the water glass on table was shocking dirty.
Aom Y — Google review
The restaurant looks great, and the atmosphere is very nice. However, the food was just okay, and the service wasn’t good. The prices are way too high for what you get. We waited a long time for our drinks, to place our order, and for the food to arrive. Overall, the nice setting didn’t make up for the slow service and overpriced food.
W K — Google review
If you are vegetarian then this is not the place for you. I went for hi tea with my girls and was very disappointed with the food they served me. I mentioned in booking regarding my diet preferences that i am vegetarian and do not eat aubergine/zucchini, still I was served aubergine sandwich. When i pointed out, they changed it for avocado sandwich which was not good at all. They said chef is making burrata sandwich for me but later came with avocado. So in savory only option for me was avocado sandwich and nothing else. I would not recommend for vegetarians. But my friends enjoyed fish

Zalmhuis in Rotterdam is a stunning riverside restaurant with delicious, well-prepared food that usually arrives quickly. The menu has a wide variety to choose from, and while prices are a bit on the higher side, the quality makes it worth it. On sunny days, the views are spectacular, and the interior design gives the place a fabulous, stylish vibe. The staff are friendly and attentive—some even take your full order without writing anything down, a rare skill in today’s horeca. It’s not the easiest place to reach by public transportation, but they do offer parking for just €2.50 per visit. And a nice bonus: you can enjoy a free meal on your birthday!
Diana D — Google review
The interior of the restaurant is gorgeus. Perfect place for little party or nice pictures on instagram. Food was nicely prepared and pretty delicious. Minus point: I couldn't take leftovers home, it was hard to finish a large portion and I don't like wasting food also I had the impression that the staff didn't really listen to us.
Wanessa P — Google review
This restaurant is truly exceptional. As soon as you arrive, the aroma from outside assures that you're in for a fantastic fish dish. Both the exterior and interior are beautifully decorated, with an old yet graceful charm. The food is amazing, especially their skillful preparation of fish dishes. Despite being crowded, the bustling atmosphere adds to the experience rather than being a distraction. It's worth noting that the staff can be quite busy, and they might occasionally overlook your needs or forget parts of your order, so be prepared to ask for assistance when necessary. If you're not travelling by car, reaching the restaurant might be a bit challenging, but there are ample public transport options available. For a great dining experience, this restaurant is a must-visit. It truly lives up to its reputation as a fantastic dining place! Highly recommended!
Eskeatnaf M — Google review
It has enough free parking places. The entry of the restaurant is luxury and decorated with Christmas tree and lights. Restaurant is located on the first floor. The view is fabulous but there were mosquitos flying around our heads that is very irritating. We chosen the 'chif manual' with 3 courses which even the waiter doesn't konw the contents. The taste of the dishes are special and yummy but the amount is not enough for us. The main course has no side dishes, not even fries or salad, it is a surprise! We spent 120 Euro and left with hungry stomach.

If I could leave 6 stars I would. We happened to stumble upon here in Delsfhaven looking for some lunch. We were seated by a very pleasant young gentleman along the canal side. Bought a social deal 3 course menu. 30 minutes to get a drink. Eventually walked out at the suggestion of the staff because there were 2 groups in front of us and they couldn’t help us yet. Very quiet. It’s the second similar experience here. Don’t waste your money.

Quite charming, old restaurant in an old neighbourhood of Rotterdam. The food is fine, but nothing special. We used social deal for quite a nice discount, which makes the price feel more accurate for what you get. Also i feel like the dressing for the salad and sauces are not homemade, they're quite bland and thin.

Very nice place for a fast get together with friends.... Friendly personal. Seating outside is ideal for the summer days..... Enjoyed a second high tea here. It was nice. Unfortunately our request for a vegan selection of choices wasn't fully met, so they couldn't fully enjoy the experience. Good conversation made up for the latter. Service was'nt the same as going the first time. And I've been 3 times now. 2nd time was earlier this year (2022) too celebrate my girl friends graduation. Food was delicious. I hope you guys see this review and work on that.

We had to wait 20 minutes for 1 cappuccino and one Bitter Lemon. The cappuccino was basically water with barely any coffee in it. Definitely don't recommend to anyone, though the view is beautiful.
Oliver D — Google review
Great terrace overlooking a beautiful historical part of the city. However, wouldn’t stop for more then a drink. We order a borrelsnack platter and they arrived they were miniature size, but at a normal size price. So that was disappointing. The service was also non existent, they literally never came back. After we finished another group behind us got a tea platter or something which wasn’t on the menu we received at all, so not sure how that works.

Had our xmas lunch here. Good food ruined by regular loud smashing of glass bottles behind the bar. The large wall-to-wall windows have no blinds to keep out the harsh afternoon sun. People on the wrong half of the table were pretty much blinded. Staff were courteous though.

De Tuin is a great place to enjoy Rotterdam's beautiful surroundings. The terrace offers stunning views of the Kralingse Bos and the lake.
We came to this restaurant for some drinks and dinner, and we loved it. The place is beautiful and elegant, and of course the lakeside location makes it stunning. In addition to the indoor seating, there are tables right by the lake water, which makes it enjoyable during the warmer months. I definitely recommend coming here when the weather is nice.
Chiara C — Google review
Beautiful restaurant & with a great view by the lake. At first it was weird that there were no prices on the drink menu, more exactly for the beer menu. When I asked for the price of my beer the waitress told me a completely different price (with a 2€ difference), something I didn't really understand. Another thing was when we ordered the fries, she told us they can only make the loaded fries. No problem until we see that those "loaded fries" are not on the menu as well and of course, the price is higher than it was for the normal fries. Besides these little things that felt like a scam, really, the view is really nice, it was sunny and beautiful. A lot of stairs to climb to reach the toilet which for the "premium" experience they pretend they are offering..the bathrooms are pretty dirty :)
Nugget — Google review
Overall the food (the “borrel hapjes”) is a 5-6/10. We had the: - Yakatorie; these were so bad. The taste, the texture. A big NO. The lady told us that, that’s how it comes from there supplier. So I guess change the supplier? —> 2/10 - Loaded fries; they served this almost cold to us, very disappointing. —> 6/10 - Veg bitterballen; was okey. —> 6/10 The view in a sunny dat is beautiful. Would only come for the view. We paid €45 (incl. Drinks). Which was quite expensive for the quality we got.

Nice café with a spacious outdoor area, beautifully located by the lake. They have different types of seating outside, but my favorite is the ones right by the water — offering an amazing view at sunset. Definitely recommended.
Nida Ö — Google review
We made a reservation in advance so were seated in the 'serre' (closed veranda), which was very pleasant - out of the wind but with a view of the lake. They also had plenty of outdoor seating but that was too chilly for us. Food was good and service was excellent, friendly and efficient. Would come here again.
Brenda J — Google review
De Tuin offers a great view of the lake, but not a lot more. Drinks are overpriced. Chai latte super sweet, not spicey. Kitchen opens at 11am for breakfast on Saturdays. Loads of wait staff animately chatting together, yet we still had to chase the bill. The highlight would be visiting the windmills next door!

Amazing location, expensive food, not very hospitable. Especially if you compare the quality of your meal to the costs. My Salmon tasted of nothing, shrimps gave my wife food poisoning. A day in Rotterdam, nice stop with wine and a Caesar salate. Wine was delicious white Pino Grigio, but salate was average, too expensive for what was served, mostly 2 halfs of little gem including stump with a bit of cheese and some avocado paste. Would not order this again. But yeah, it's a wine bar and that was the goal in the late afternoon after a nice long walk.
Diana M — Google review
We've experienced here the worst service from Rotterdam. Bord staff and waitresses, long waiting time for the food or extra requests, zeo intrest for the customer. The quality of the food was good but the portion are very small for what you pay. The glass of wine that we ordered was not fresh.
MARIUS B — Google review
A cozy wine bar in the heart of Rotterdam (on White Street), offering a decent selection of wines. While the choice of wines by the glass is somewhat limited, the range of available bottles is quite satisfactory.
Amir M — Google review
Cozy and sophisticated environment. Wide selection of wines of great quality. I have never tried the Chenin Blanc and the waiter (he looked like he was the manager/owner) gave me to try and I was absolutely delighted with it. I am a fan of Spanish and Italian wines, but I gave a try to this 2017 Rijks ‘Touch of Oak’ from South Africa. The food is excellent, however very small portions. The quality of the charcuterie and cheese is excellent, very tasty. The risotto very simple only with Parmesan, they could add some fungi. The lemon tart made me blown away, delicious. I missed that the waitresses were more professional aligned to the high quality of the place.

3,5 stars Sunday afternoon. Stopped by at 3 o’clock for coffee with a sweet treat. I wanted to try one of their artisanal tarts. Sadly, they had sold most of their tarts already. They only had 3 different tarts left. I ordered the mango tart and lemon tart w/ merengue. Both tarts were tasty. Not too sweet. The crust was hard; difficult to eat with a fork. I also tried one of their sourdough breads. It was tasty. I sampled two of their nut butters. They were also very tasty. I would definitely buy some of their tarts and breads again. The tarts are approx. 6 euros and the breads range from 5 to 9 euros. A bit expensive. If you want to try a specific tart or bread, I would recommend stopping by early.

Vlaamsch Broodhuys on Meent is an absolute gem for anyone who appreciates excellent coffee and artisanal pastries. The coffee is consistently rich, smooth, and aromatic, easily among the best in the city. Their pastries are nothing short of heavenly—freshly baked, delicately crafted, and full of flavor that perfectly complements the coffee. What truly elevates the experience, however, is the warm hospitality of the team. The staff are welcoming, attentive, and create a relaxed yet refined atmosphere that makes every visit memorable. Whether for a quick espresso or a slow morning indulgence, this place never disappoints.

In general, nice place. Lovely terrace, super friendly staff, amazing central location, pretty nice choice of food. The sandwiches, even though they were tasty, were not the best I have ever tried. I lacked a bit of greens, extra flavour and filling. There is a lot of bread, but not that much filling on top due to which they taste a bit dry.

Best Avocado poached egg in town. The bread was soft and soaked in their delicious sauce, the avocado was fresh and the poached eggs were made to perfection. Loved it and definitely coming back for more.

The espresso and cappuccino are great, with high quality beans and milk. We tried eggs Benedict and the toast avocado, which were ok. They also added bacon to my toast when requested, quite a good supplement :) The place was a bit crowded on the Sunday morning we visited.

Food was enjoyable and the ordering system was easy. The prices were a bit on the high side for some of the dishes, price/quality wasn’t really balanced.

Very nice breakfast place with a wide variety of options. We enjoyed delicious pancakes and the bowls, it's a bit of a pity that out of the drinks menu some things were not available and surely some items on the menu are quite overpriced.

A wide range of breakfasts, which are very tasty. Ordered a bowl and a bagel with salmon. Excellent! The special thing is that you sit at the table and order and pay via the app.

Lobster roll was OK. Could have used a less dry roll/ brioche, also not particularly generous with the lobster. Smoothie was great. Breakfast was good also. Matcha latte was not properly mixed and lumpy. Banana bread was not so tasty.

Lovely little café with a wide variety of custom drinks! I even asked for a Marocchino (which is hard to find) and they happily made it for me — it was perfect. The cakes were absolutely delicious, especially the pecan and the cheesecake I tried. The staff was very friendly, and I appreciated the complimentary water. Definitely a place I’ll be visiting again!

When I tell you this is the best Coffee I have tried in Rotterdam - I AM SINCERE. I was looking for a coffee place that would be selling unique and interesting coffee drinks. This place has so much options and love the the drinks that they are doing! The menu - amazing. I loved that you can order a coffee named by real characters from Sherlock. And they also have seasonal (monthly!!!!) menu where they serve different drinks depending on a month. A lot of syrups, interesting coffee and sweets combination. Amazing serving - they bring you water and a little biscuit to your drink. From now on my favorite café here!!!! Will be visiting a LOT, thank you so much!!

Good coffee. However, +90ct for non animal milk is crazy. I conclude that the owners buy very cheap cow milk. Please don‘t punish customers that care about the planet. Maybe buy organic milk, normal non namebrand milk alternatives and charge even prices.

A quiet, cozy little café behind the church. The first thing you see when you enter is the big shelves full of Monin syrups, I think there are nearly all the flavors possible. I tried the cappuccino and the banana bread, which were both tasty. There are also lunch items on the menu and more drinks, all reasonably priced. The owner was friendly and welcoming. Will definitely come back to try the signature drinks!

Lunchroom Figaro is a charming eatery located in the heart of Rotterdam, known for its warm and welcoming atmosphere. The menu offers a variety of delicious options, with fresh ingredients that leave a lasting impression. While there may not be vegan options readily available, the accommodating staff is quick to whip up a tasty breakfast alternative upon request.
We stopped by Lunchroom Figaro for breakfast and were genuinely impressed! We tried the tuna sandwich and the farmer’s breakfast—both were delicious, made with healthy, fresh ingredients that really stood out. The portions were generous and everything tasted homemade. But what truly set Figaro apart was the service. The staff were warm, attentive, and created such a welcoming atmosphere. There’s a lovely, relaxed vibe here that makes you want to linger a little longer.

The shop is right in the center of the walking street, a French and Italian bakery, with both European and Asian bread. There are European and Asian drinks. You should try it. It's delicious. This place was delicious. You have the option of 50+ different flavours of hot chocolate. The idea is simple, they serve hot milk, and then the dip the chocolate of your flavour that eventually melts and makes it delicious.

I recently visited CHCO and had a very disappointing experience. We ordered two Camp Fire Mochas and one Winter Wonder Mocha from the coffee specials. The Winter Wonder Mocha was nothing more than plain white milk with a caramel chocolate cube—it didn’t even taste like mocha. There was no coffee in it, but it was in coffee specials and called mocha. It was awful to pay €7.50 for something so bland and not what was advertised. The Camp Fire Mocha was okay, but still overpriced for what we got. To make matters worse, the person making the coffee seemed unfamiliar with the menu and provided poor service. Overall, not worth the money

Pebbles Kitty Cat Café is the first of its kind in Rotterdam, offering a "pawesome" experience for cat lovers. With seven friendly and sociable cats, this café provides a welcoming atmosphere where visitors can enjoy delicious lunch, cake, and beverages. The owner and staff are known for their warm hospitality. It's advisable to make reservations due to its popularity. The café offers a comforting environment for those missing their feline friends from home.
Lovely place to have a coffee and hang out with the cats. Would definitely recommend! Staff are very friendly and helpful. Easy to find, off the tram and a quick walk 👍
Leny S — Google review
I went there to work for a few hours and I had a very nice experience. The place is lovely, the stuff it's amazing and the carrot cake was delicious. The only inconvenient is that a lady didn't know that when cats are sleeping and resting it's because they need that and they should be left alone. I've seen her bothering a cat while sleeping in a hammock by pushing the hammock from the bottom with the cat sleeping inside. Another customers called her attention and said that the cats don't like what she's doing and to leave the cat sleep Which I definitely appreciated. Anyway, a very recommended place with lovely cats and amazing stuff ❤️

Very nice servers! The cats are cute, but not v cuddly (they are animals they dont have to be, but still in case anyone had other expectations) + entrance is 3.50
Ana C — Google review
The place is pleasant and kitties are adorable. They are all lovebugs and behave very well. Staff is lovely. The only reason why I didn't give this place 5 stars is that it's a bit stuffy, since it doesn't seem to have any windows. Also, maybe it's a good idea to ban kids under 5 since they really don't know how to treat an animal.
Too H — Google review
The cats are beautiful with unique personalities. The staff seem like lovely people and educate the visitors nicely about interacting with the cats. The food and drinks are decent quality and fairly priced. I had a serene 1.5 hours at this cafe and I will definitely be visiting again. Please book in advance before visiting. A vibrant, fun and wholesome experience.

I absolutely loved this cafe! I went with my boyfriend and two friends of mine and we really enjoyed our stay. The food was amazing and there’s so much choice on the menu that it’s hard to choose. The inside is also very cute with enough spaces for the cats to rest and to play. The cats can even sleep on your table!! Which happened to us it was absolutely adorable. It’s not expensive at all for the time you get to spend with the cutest cats ever. They’re very social but also like their space. I definitely recommend! We traveled 45 minutes for this and it was so worth it 🙈

A lovely place. Very friendly staff, food, drinks and cats! Pixel is my personal favourite that we met!

I stopped by the kitty-café for breakfast on a whim during my vacation trip, and I was thrilled to discover this hidden gem. The café exudes a peaceful atmosphere, both in terms of its decor and overall ambiance. The kittens seem to be extremely happy and content, which added to the charm. I was delighted when Pixel came over to greet me at my table. One kitten in particular, Luna, stole my heart with her mischievous grin as she lounged in her cozy little cave, observing the hustle and bustle of the café. And, of course, her Lemonade, Luna‘s Lemonade, was my favorite dish on the menu! The owners and staff radiate a sense of calm and tranquility, despite the high level of responsibility they have in caring for the guests, kittens, and food preparation. Overall, I highly recommend this cat café to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable experience. But remember - these little Furballs live there, it‘s their home, please enter it with respect and softness.

Barista Cafe started as a small coffee shop in Alphen aan den Rijn in 2009 and has since expanded to 17 locations across the Netherlands. The cafe aims to blend the craft of coffee making with a cozy atmosphere. Situated in the heart of the city, it offers various seating options including tables, armchairs, window bars, and outdoor seating. Visitors can also participate in workshops such as Perfect Coffee & Latte Art.
Perfect Coffee & Latte Art workshop today!!😍🌻💜 A huge thanks to the sweetest baristas ever, mr. Lennart and mrs. Nienke. ☕💕 Workshop: - My boyfriend and I love coffee. So I was looking for a perfect Christmas gift for him. After looking online for a long time I finally found this one. It was €50 each for 2 to 2,5 hour workshop. When we arrived we were welcome by two super enthusiastic coffee experts. Our tables had many delicious treats and everything was super beautiful organized. We learned sooooo much today!! Waw! Many fun facts about coffee. The workshop was divided in two parts. The first one was the theoretical part en the second one was the actual practice of making your own espresso, cappuccino and you little heart! In the pictures you can see our first tries. We actually did it!!! Super happy!!! 😍😍☕☕💜 Baristas: - Lennart and Nienke are super super sweet, kind, enthusiastic, professionals and patient. They answered all of pur questions. We did not feel rushed at any time and received super many good tips for us to reach our goals. They know soooo much! The owner is very very lucky two have them both! They truly work with love and dedication. Thank you so much for this experience!!! 💗 Location: - A perfect location in the middle of the city. Reachable by metro and tram, just right in front. From Rotterdam Centraal you can take metro D and metro E. Or the tram, i believe tram 23 and 25. During the workshop (Saturday) was perfectly quiet and it felt like a VIP workshop!! Coffee and treats: - The coffee is very unique!! Their cakes and lunch options are delicious. Their signature cookies are still in my mind 😍😍☕ At the end of the workshop we were allowed to take home a couple of treats. Side story: - While walking back home, my boyfriend shared how much fun he had. He immediately wanted to give this workshop as a gift for his friends who also loves coffee. We can't stop telling each other how fun this was. We were together with a sweet daughter and father, which we also found to be very fun and kind. My boyfriend came home and ordered all the necessary tools to make his own latte art at home. Oopsieeee... what have you done? 😅😅☕ Again, thank you! We just discovered our new favorite coffee place in Rotterdam. 🥰

I foolishly went here seeing all the great reviews and ordered pancakes... I don't think I've ever tasted something sweeter than that in my life. Sugar in the dough, sugar in the clotted cream, extremely sugary jam (that looked more like artificial syrup), honey... even the "fresh" fruit was incredibly sweet. I left almost the full dish there because I couldn't eat it.

Nice spot in the city to get a coffee to go or relax. No tables outside to smoke, but the place is beautiful. Located in Rotterdam Prins Alexander, the Alexandrium Shopping Center, also known as Alexandrium or Oosterhof, is a modern indoor shopping destination boasting over 140 shops featuring major brands, small businesses, and various dining options. The center is conveniently situated near Rotterdam's largest shopping center, the Erasmus University Campus, and several international schools. Visitors can explore a mix of clothing stores, electronics outlets, cosmetics shops, and an Albert Heijn supermarket while enjoying fast food offerings.
It's always a great pleasure shopping here. You get all the high-street brands and more. In other words you can get practically everything you need including supermarket and off-licence (liquor store). Apart from the mall itself (which is always updated and immaculately maintained) there is a huge section outside consisting large stores such as MediaMarkt, Xenos, etc. Retail therapy at its best. Highly recommended.
Dr S — Google review
A very large shopping centre. There is both indoor and outdoor parking. There is an elevator and escalator that you can easily find outside. There was a lot of maintenance work inside when we went. Frankly, it was bad in terms of appearance. But since our purpose was Shopping, we didn't get stuck with it. There are lots of eating areas inside. After visiting the interior, it was very nice to visit the outside shopping places and to be side by side. But it would be very good to have good ventilation for the food smells coming from some Indian restaurants.
B K — Google review
Nice shopping center for a hangout! Not so many shops but there are options. Parking is available at .30 cents per 10 minutes. Best thing I liked about the mall is that there are so many seats available for you to sit and relax!
Benny J — Google review
Within walking distance, just across the road, you can park for free — making your visit even more affordable, although the main shopping mall’s parking is reasonably priced as well. The indoor part of the mall mainly consists of clothing stores, including popular budget-friendly chains like Zara and H&M. The outdoor section of the shopping center is mostly made up of home and furniture retail stores.

Florian S — Google review
As a German tourist on vacation in Den Haag I visited the shopping center mainly to eat at Cinnabon. Therefore I would always go again. Since I'm not much into shopping in general I wouldn't come back if it weren't for the food. Although the shopping center looks great, offers a lot of different shops and is well worth organized considering the whole covid-19 situation. Nevertheless it doesn't offer much more than any other shopping mall. So if you are close by, have a look. I wouldn't go there only to visit the mall. Parking situation: there are a lot parking spots. At the furniture area I payed 2€/h, close by there are cheaper spots available.
Melanie W — Google review
A big shopping mall, slightly reminds me of Indian malls except a food court is missing (but there are plenty of food options). Location is good close to the highway and there's plenty of parking against affordable rates. Few attractions for kids as well. I'm not much of a mall person or a shopper, but if you are, this is a good place to go.

Icon for Rotterdam. Fast service of staff. Menu rather small, especially for coffee with something sweet. Place could do with a small upgrade.
Paul B — Google review
Nice enough joint. However, they rent it out for groups and it is absolutely NOT fit for this. First floor has low ceilings which bounce noise like crazy. You get deaf in a heartbeat. Very unpleasant. However, the terrace is nice but using this depends on the weather gods of course!
Bas H — Google review
Good food but not exceptionally tasty, a bit on the expensive side (35 euros for a lunch for two) but understandable given the location, just next to Rotterdam Centraal station. We found the service to be a bit poor though, distracted/forgetful and not so friendly. Would opt for something else next time.

Located right next to the Rotterdam Central Station the location could not be better, parking is easy and relatively cheaper than else where in the center of the city. Lovely experience in this unique restaurant. The concept of flight around Rotterdam is really creative. The view is amazing (but the weather will play a big role in how much you'll see). Service was great however not even halfway through our high tea the staff was coming by and kept on asking if we were still eating. Other than that the experience was well worth the money and I would definitely come back here again to try out the Lunch or Diner.

Cute place but I guess we were unlucky. We ordered the rise and shine and some pancakes. Rise & Shine: The leafs were old and yellowish, the avocado was completely black (not fresh at all) and the bread seemed old. I suggest the owner to visit the Rotterdam HQ to see how you should serve the bread with avocado. Pancakes: two of them were ok, one was completely raw. The coffee is good. The two stars are one for the coffee and the place and the other for one of the employees who was very kind

It is a long way until it can be considered as good as the one in Dordrecht. The space is quite small and when is busy it is way too noisy. The inner space near the window is not usable on a rainy day because, apparently, it rains inside. The floors were disgustingly dirty and the table was not very clean either. The sandwich was very oily and the cheesecake quite too sour for a cheesecake. Overall, I can say that I had better experiences but maybe it's not like this all the time.

I have been here a few times and really enjoy the food, service, ambiance and general experience. It's child friendly without being a children's restaurant. It's also vegan/vegetarian friendly without cutting animal products from the menu entirely. The menu is quite creative for being compact, offering a wide variety of both breakfast/lunch options, as well as traditional and unique beverages. The prices are OK, if not a tid bit on the high side (the shared breakfast is delicious, but with avocado and bacon it's about 15pp). The children's menu is also quite limited, though the staff was very helpful and flexible in putting something together for my toddler — so appreciated! I think adding some small dishes (single pancake, small fruit bowl, small yogurt, boiled egg) would be such a quick win. The only other downside is the acoustics. If you are sensitive to noise, this is definitely not the place for you. The chit chat and sounds of coffee grinders and milk frothers is quite intense. I manage fine, but the friend I was with could not tolerate it. So it's a personal thing. If you go with kids or are noise sensitive, be sure to try to sit upstairs. It's quieter and more spacious, with a play area. Things I have eaten and liked: bacon and chicken sandwich, shared breakfast, vegan pancakes, chocolate cake. I'll definitely be going back.

Had breakfast. Didn’t meet up to our expectations based on the google reviews (4.6) Coffee wasn’t warm as it should be. Gave the coffee back to the waitress and exchanged it for Tea. Coffee was billed anyway afterwards. The ordered water came to late, after we finished coffee. Had to mention it twice to the waitress. We had the shared breakfast which was nice but sweet. Numerous times asked for a refill but gave up on the end. If the waitresses had more attention for our table and taken the coffee from the bill it would be a four stars. Next time maybe breakfast somewhere else.

Restaurant
Hip Schiedam offers a delightful High Tea experience, featuring a variety of fresh treats served on an elegant stand in a charming setting. Conveniently located in Alexandrium, it's the perfect complement to a day of shopping in Rotterdam. The establishment also serves delicious meals, such as black angus burgers, with friendly and efficient service. The atmosphere is clean and well-designed, making it an ideal spot for a satisfying meal or afternoon tea.
This evening we were walking around Schiedam looking for a quick dinner to bring home, we saw this place that looked extremely clean and well designed so we decided to give it a go! We got two black angus burgers and the taste was amazing! Prices were fair and the quality of the food and the meat was super good! On top of it the lady that helped was really nice and helpful, she was also very quick but at the same time she didn’t rush, everything was on point! We will came back for sure!

Friendly service. Good food. And plenty of it. I hope this new business does well. They are certainly doing a good job.

(Translated by Google) To work overtime at the office, we looked for good food that could be delivered in different shifts. Everyone likes pasta, fries and snacks. Called and emailed about this in advance. The response was friendly and quick, the food arrived on time and we liked it. HIP thanks!! HIP bedankt!!

(Translated by Google) I leave atmosphere empty because I have never been to the business itself. This is the 2nd time I have ordered food from Hip, I really enjoyed it the first time and the food was still warm upon delivery. Drinks are included in the menus and I had not made a choice with my order, so I was called again to choose a drink. Great! Geweldig!

(Translated by Google) Bad, in every way. Had to repeat our order at least three times. Ate with three people, two had already finished the meal before the third person even got his food. The menu that was ordered turned out to be out of stock, I was told this when the others had already finished almost everything. Slow service, limp fries. The only plus point is that we didn't have to pay for drinks after all the blunders. More drama. Advice: keep going when you pass Hip. Hip is everything, except Hip. Rarely have I experienced such a bad restaurant, snack bar or whatever you should call it (Original) Slecht, in alle opzichten. Onze bestelling minstens drie keer moeten herhalen. Verder drama. Advies: doorlopen als je Hip passeert. Hip is alles, behalve Hip. Zelden zo'n slecht restaurant, snackbar of hoe je het moet noemen meegemaakt

(Translated by Google) Just ordered the crispy chicken burger at this nice and atmospheric place. The burger was full of flavor, not a limp bite like most other big chains. The staff was very friendly and attentive. In short, I recommend everyone to have a bite to eat at this delicious place.

(Translated by Google) Ate there for the first time today. had a satay dish. the satay was good, but the fries were really delicious (Original) vandaag voor het eerst gegeten daar. had een saté schotel. de saté was goed, maar de patat was echt heerlijk
Peter W — Google review
(Translated by Google) First of all, the food was delicious, especially the fries. It did lack some atmosphere, like some music. I'd read that it's supposed to be Schiedam's living room, but that's not going to work this way. No plates or cutlery (had to be fetched). The staff should be open to conversation, even if you just ask if you enjoyed it. I'd go back for the food itself, but not for the atmosphere.

Chocolate shop
Chco Café is a charming spot known for its delectable chocolates and warm beverages. The shop offers a wide variety of bonbons and chocolate bars suitable for various occasions. Visitors praise the attentive salespeople who offer complimentary treats, provide helpful recommendations, and suggest additional products without being pushy. While some find the prices slightly high, many appreciate the friendly staff and pleasant ambiance.
Only tried lil piece of chocolate that came with my cappuccino. It's super delicious and creamy. Their cappuccino also tasted really nice, even though I'd say it's on higher price range. The lady who made my coffee also seemed to be very skilled. Chco cafe is also located in a very nice place, in the middle of markethall.
Melinda P — Google review
I wish all salespeople were as skilled as the lady behind the counter today. She offered me a free bonbon (always good), she advised me on what to buy, and in the end she offered other products. Not just asking something like "anything else?", no, she was really specific and I think that works better than a generic question. The chocolates are really good. The shop has a wide variety of bonbons and different kinds of bars of chocolate also for different occasions. From earlier experiences, I know that their choc spoons are delicious. Maybe I am a bit prejudiced, because to me ... chocolate is life. Then again, there is also bad chocolate ...but not here.
Mike M — Google review
The workers were kind of mean. We ordered our coffees to go but they didn't let us seat to wait for them, they asked us in a rude manner to wait stand up even there were several sits available. This is a shame because the coffee is really good.

Delicious products around chocolate. The women behind the counter were polite and friendly. In my opinion the prices are very high.

(Translated by Google) The Google map landmark is in the building next to the market, but the store is inside the market, so I went back and looked for it before finally finding it. The 72% chocolate cocoa was very delicious at first, very fragrant and amazing, but then it was too sweet (for Asians) after the chocolate melted completely, so I added a cup of latte to dilute the chocolate before I could finish it. The overall experience is very good, and the store staff is also very friendly. I recommend drinking it and drinking it without stirring when the chocolate has melted to the right sweetness.

Once again highly recommended. (Original) Altijd gezellig, ik drink hier zo nu en dan een biertje of koffie met mijn vader. Aardige werknemers en op zaterdag altijd lekker vers brood en of gebak.
