The 35 best pizza spots in Rotterdam

I heard from many friends about this place. The interior is really special, high ceilings, rustic feelings and thematic. The service was a bit slow, but maybe because it was a busy night. We had to wait quite a while for our pizzas. Calamaris where delicious, not too salty. Bruschetta and focaccia a bit of a let down, as it has the same pizza dough. So we had pizza as starters to share and more pizza as main… most of the pizzas were good, great crust and thin. Mine just tasted a bit too salty. Dessert was really nice though, the tiramisu was amazing. Maybe my expectations were high, but it was just an okay experience not bad, but not excellent.

Escape to Italy through a single door. It’s weird that when you see a place from the outside it’s not at all what you expect it would look like on the inside. With its rich and historic setting, O’Pazzo really does a great job at taking you out of your Dutch reality and putting you in Italy. From their drinks, to their desserts, they remain true to the Italian cuisine and they do it well. My rating is purely based on my experience from previous Italian places and I rate it for what it is. The food is good, but not exceptional. It has simple flavours that make you go “mmmm, this is good”. I would have liked the Tiramisu to have the same punch in flavour as it has in presentation. What really makes this experience unique is the ambience that is created inside the building. You’re taking a step back in time with stunning art all around you and this amazing music when you go to the bathroom. They are a little bit above average when it comes to food prices (not drink), but it’s okay to pay that if you take a moment to appreciate the work they’ve done to make you feel like you’re not in the Netherlands. This place can easily become a regular spot as it’s simple and sophisticated.

We had a reservation beforehand, which I recommend, because it was about full when we came for dinner. Had pizza and pasta, really good, and the tiramisu blew our minds. A moderate to high pricing.

I had such a great time here! The food was absolutely delicious, and the atmosphere made the whole experience even better. The place has such a unique vibe,and I have to mention the toilet, it was scary but in such a cool and fun way 😂 Definitely a spot worth visiting again!

The atmosphere and service were great! The wine was delicious. My food, however, was more complicated. My aubergine parmigiana wasn't cooked the whole way through so I sent it back and they brought me a new one which was much better. It tasted great but the portion size was pretty small for the price. I really appreciated the exchange though - great service for sure.

O’Pazzo, Rotterdam stuns with its themed interiors and a gorgeous mosaic pizza oven dedicated to Vulcan, the Roman god of fire. Tried the Pizza Carnivora and Quattro Stagioni—both were packed with flavor and perfectly baked. Also loved the Calamari Fritti, bruschetta with smoked salmon, and a recommended drink Maso Di Mezzo along with few pints of Affligem. Only downside: the WC area with a Jesus statue and prayer audio felt out of place. Still, a must-visit for top-notch Italian food in Rotterdam!

Great Calzone, the dough was pretty good. Nice atmosphere as well, even though there was no music that stood out. The waiter was friendly enough. Been living 6 years in Italy, and this was a good place, could fit in with what the local cuisine has to offer.

Had a reservation here for Saturday evening at 6 pm. I would definitely recommend this as the restaurant gets quite busy. We ordered 2 Short Rib Pizzas (Beef Short Ribs, Provola d'Agerola, Roseval Potatoes, Sage, Caramelized Shallots, Lemon Zest) and a Classic Margherita with added Bufala (San Marzano Sauce, Flor di Latte, Parmigiano Reggiano, Basil, Extra Virgin Olive Oil). Both pizzas were really nice, one of the best Margherita pizzas and the Short Rib Pizza was flavorful as well. Overall nice place and very busy as well!

I’ve been here twice and these are definitely the best pizzas I’ve had in Rotterdam; authentic, generous, with a crust that is very well cooked. The arancini are wonderful as appetizers too (I recommend the truffle ones) ! The staff is very friendly, although sometimes it takes a bit of effort to get their attention during busy hours. I would however think that in a setting this nice (the open kitchen is very cool) and with these prices, fabric napkins could be provided rather than paper ones, and the cutlery could be changed between the appetizer and the main course (the pizza). On my first visit I also got the tiramisu (to go) which was amazing, however they were out of it on my second visit. Suffering from success maybe, but it would have been nice to end the dinner with it ! Still highly recommend Old Scuola overall for the quality of the pizzas and the fun vibe, just a few areas for improvement still.

Very nice place - cool atmosphere and lovely staff. But honestly, the pizzas weren’t the best. Outer crust was nice but it was all soggy and wet in the middle (probably can’t tell from the picture but yes it was aite)

Authentic and delicious pizzas! Gets quite busy on some days so a reservation is recommended. My favorites are the 4 cheese and the pizza w parmesan cheese crisps :) The environment is cute and cozy, and I loved seeing the open kitchen and their process. The tiramisu is a must have, super delicious, creamy and flavorful 🤎🤍

Best pizza in town, great place to go! Would definitly recommend it. Only comment I have is the start slow service. I ve be been here so many times, and most of the time it can take a while before they take your drinking order. But the service was overal good and they are nice.

They cancel your delivery order 1 minute before the end of the delivery time - we used them for a party, ordered ahead and had to change our entire evening planning. Ate here in person as well a couple of times and while the pizza is good it’s not what it used to be 2/3 years ago anymore :( The crust is ok at the edge but very wet in the middle.

Very nice, stone oven taste, but very below average topping, Ordered the Margeritha, and only 2 small spots had cheese on it. Basically had tomato and dough. Also, couldnt add an additional topping. Very very dissapointing.

Called to check if there were tables free as they do not do reservations. 10 min bike ride with 3 kids. Then needed to wait 30 min to an hour for a table. Very disappointed. Then ate next door. But I hear the pizza’s are good.

Where to go on a Saturday night: with no doubt La Pizza! Amazing starters like the melanzane and the polpette al limone. The pizzas are delicious. Very nice atmosphere, super friendly staff and nice decoration. Great job! Looking forward to come back to try your desserts.

Literally right around the corner from our Airbnb and just fantastic pizza. I have tried 2 other pizza places in Rotterdam and nothing compares to La Pizza Noord. The crust is thin and flavorful, the sauce is very fresh and the cheese is very good. They put quite a bit of basil on top which is a treat. My partner ordered a Calzone and really enjoyed all the flavors. Worth a stop if in the area of the Central Station.

This pizza bar existed before the world war and until this day they still making the best real Italian pizza's in NL!!! Strongly recommend the home made Tiramisu. The best Tiramisu i ever had in my life 👌👌👌👌.

Classic Italian pizza. Enjoyed a Picasso one with fresh toppings including artichoke and green pepper. The single portion gelato was a meal in itself.

So much have I been hearing about this place, everything I heard was positive, specially the tiramisu. I finally went there, and the pizzas were just normal, one of them was even tastless. There was no more tiramisu left when we ordered. The staff were very harsh and not really friendly.

Delightful handmade ice-cream to keep you chill in hot summer! We tried Pistachio and Coffee and they were awesome flavours. The Pistachio ice-cream is loaded with pistachios, it gives you that amazing crunchy taste!

I am extremely disappointed. We went here on purpose, having read about the history of this place, which has more than 100 years, and about the traditions that are kept here. However, I can't say that the pizza was delicious. The dough was too hard, dried and stale. Maybe because it's initially machine-rolled before being shaped into a circle by hand, or because of the ingredients. Anyway, this dough was simply impossible to eat, as it was hard as a stone. Before our order was brought, I thought that I would like to try all the pizzas here, since pizza is my favorite dish that I am ready to eat every day. After we tried the classic Margherita and Neapolitana, there is no desire to try something else. This is definitely not Italian pizza and rather something in between Italian and “Dutch style”. While we were waiting for the order, they brought us a ciabatta with an appetizer, which was nice but it was soon taken away, although we did not finish it. That was strange.

Without doubt the worst pizza I have ever come across in my life. I ordered the quattro stagioni after first checking with the owner that the base was made fresh. When it came out in under 5 minutes I knew right away something was wrong. As you can see from the picture some salami and ham seems to have been cooked on the base which was obviously not fresh and then the mushrooms, green peppers and olives were just thrown on top (no artichokes in sight) and perhaps heated for a couple of minutes in the oven. The owner said the vegetables were fresh which they seemed to be and offered to cook it for a few more minutes. When it came back it was just a slimy inedible mess and the entire topping slipped off the pizza at the first cut. I gave up, offered to pay for my beer, which was declined by the apologetic owner, and left. The 1952 founding family must be turning in their graves.

A cozy Italian place in Katendrecht, a hidden gem for freshly made pasta. Burro e Salvia is a small Italian restaurant where you can find homemade fresh pasta and pizza. But do note that their pizzas are baked in an electric oven and it is a different style than the Neopolitan pizza. You can find a detailed explanation of this in one of the comments left by the owner, showing how much they care about their craft While they have a wide selection of pizza toppings, their pastas are especially great. I'd especially recommend their carbonara. They use good quality ingredients, often from Italy directly. The portions are generous and it is a great value for money. And make sure to end your meal with their homemade tiramisu, it is probably one of the best I've had recently in the Netherlands. The service is fast and our food arrived on time although it was busy on that day. Since the place is small, I'd highly recommend making a reservation if you want to eat in.

This is a really nice place to eat great Italian food. This is one of the very few places in Rotterdam where you can eat a very good carbonara and an amazing tiramisu. The ravioli with melanzane & ricotta are nice but I'd not order them again. Overall the food is really nice but the price is a bit too high (when compared with other good Italian restaurants around the city). The place itself is small but cozy and the service is quite fast.

Really the best pasta and pizza in the city! If you want to eat in, it’s always a good idea to make a reservation here. The carbonara is super creamy and delicious. Simple wine menu with nice options as well. We’ve ordered in for home delivery, take out and dine in on multiple occasions over the last few years and it’s always been consistent in taste and quality. And the staff is really nice and friendly!

Terrific pizzas with lovely bread and very tasty toppings. Nice wines by the glass at a good price. Excellent friendly service as well. Highly recommended!

Update 2025: Still one of the best Italian places. Reserving a table is recommended, because food does sell out (something I actually really like). Still the kindest and hardworking people. A joy to be back here every single time. By far the best Italian food you can find in Rotterdam. Pizza's are leagues above everything else you can get, wine is delicious and the pasta's are absolutely amazing. Very welcoming and kind people. A treasure for the city.

I hope this doesn't come off as snobby, but here goes. 3 stars. We are real pizza lovers. Have read books about it, watched shows about it, etc. Based on the pictures and reviews of the place, we came in with high expectations. This looked like a place that makes great pizzas in an authentic neapolitan way. But. 1. There is very little place in the store. I was seated right next to the front door. But good pizza can make up for that. 2. We waited about 40 minutes for our pizza. 3. The pizzas are made in an electric oven instead of wood oven. This makes it less authentic, and doesn't crisp up the pizza as nicely, which made the crust a bit chewy. 4. The dough is said to be fermented for 50 hours, but it didn't have that nice sour "fermenty" taste. 5. The topping to crust ratio was very low. Almost half of the pizza was crust. This would have been ok if the crust itself tasted good, but see point 4. 6. The margerita pizza had too much cheese on it. On an american pizza, extra cheese is great, but on a neapolitan pizza with italian mozzarella, which melts differently, the result is that the pizza get too wet, and you end up with big chunks of chewing gum-like pieces of cheese in your mouth. So overall a medium experience. I definitely had worse pizzas in my life. Still, it was dissappointing. Thank you for listening to my ted talk. Edit: Changed it to 4 stars out of appreciation of the detailed explanation and expertise of the owner. Tastes differ, I agree.

Absolutely amazing pizza! We ordered quattro formaggi and it was ready within 10 min. The service was very friendly as well. The crust was delicious and really fluffy on the edges. The only thing we would change is the size. I am definitely going to order there again!

Very welcoming, whilst full we were offered the bar area. Menu has a good selection. Bar service and choice brilliant. Service friendly and efficient. I would recommend this if your in the blaak / rotterdam area.

Wanted to get some good and authentic Italian food, this seemed to be the right place! Saw this place had decent reviews so my partner and I checked it out. It was a Thursday evening but quite busy but luckily we had a reservation that was made online. After a few minutes wait, we were seated. Started off ordering a glass of white wine and an Ichnuso which is beer from Sardinia. For food we ordered a Napoli Pizza (capers, achovies, tomato sauce) and the Gnocchi con Gorgonzola, Noci e Pere. Both dishes were nice and paired well with the drinks. The employees were really nice as well. Only downside is this restaurant can get a bit loud, not too bad but just something to note.

It was very delicious food and coctails in general. Osso buco pasta was my fav, at least you can try as a side. Wish it was free limoncello at least

A lovely place at meent where I went for a late lunch. I'm giving them all stars because the balance of price, ambience, taste, quality and service was done right. The service was pleasant, my server knew her stuff and listened well and suggested lovely food. The food itself came fresh, smelt and tasted delicious and was presented nicely. For starters I was served bread within minutes of settling down and the server made a heavenly mix of extra virgin olive oil, balsamic and a pinch of salt for the dip and it was soo goood. The pizza was really nice though some would add salt or something for that bit of flavor, I used some crushed black pepper. The panno cotta had the right texture and was the right amount of sweet for me and the mint, strawberry and the jam all seemed on point. Can't wait to visit again and try the pasta, ravioli and risotto amongst other things. On my 2nd visit I had the Burrata Caprese and the veggie of the day was mushrooms. I chose this heavenly strawberry based cocktail for my drink. The experience was fantastic. The burrata was not very creamy in the centre but the quality was fine. The mushrooms were prolly amongst the best I've had in a very long time and the cocktail, bread and the other stuff was top notch. On my 4th or some other visit I went for the simple spaghetti with mushroom and it was divine. The wine was on point and the cocktails were really nice too.

I ordered the tartufo porchini ravioli for main and tiramisu for dessert, both were lovely. The lady serving us was very friendly. Since I went in the early afternoon, reservation was not needed. I think the ambience is even better during the evening.

I was here with friends and family. For starter we had tapas platte, so fresh and delicious. A variety of main courses all fresh and tasty. All together with two great Italian white wines.Had a table outside. Cozy place and good service. Recommend

A place that serves delicious Italian foods, but without resorting to the defaults of pizza and pasta. Authentic food in good sized portions. The deserts are also definately worth trying! Also: Italians frequent this place. That's a good sign, and rightfully so.

Super tasty Italian food in Rotterdam! It is a cozy place with friendly staff. Plenty of vegetarian options. We had the classic panzarotto's and also the house special one. And the pistachio lava cake is to die for! Absolutely yum!!

I really enjoyed the pistachio lava cake. It was crunchy on the outside and moist on the inside. It wasn't too sweet. Just right. The service was good. We sat outside because inside it smelled like oil which was a bit overwhelming.

The panzerotto dough is perfect, so light you don’t even feel it’s fried. Ingredients are fresh and full of flavor. Pasticciotto is a 10/10, just like having it in Salento (my mum is from there, so I know!) and caffè Quarta brings back the authentic taste of home. I understand that in the Netherlands fresh ingredients, rents and staff salaries come at a high cost, and it can’t be easy, but the prices do feel on the expensive side. Still, it’s definitely a place worth visiting for a treat once in a while.

I had this place in my to go list for a while, and I'm happy I've finally got there. We eat panzerotti and tiramisu , it was great, I'm sure we'll come back there to try other taste too.

Very relaxing place. Loved that our waitress never rushed us out. Location perfect. Huge amount of space. My gnocchi pesto was too thick and strong flavor. Everyone else loved their dishes.

Amazing place to go for dinner but not only. The waiters are very kind, attentive and happy to help you. The atmosfere is nice, with soft music în the background. There are a lot of tables that are perfect for any kind of group. I had the carbonara spaghetti that are a perfect match with their strong limoncello. Also the tiramisu is just perfect, exactly the original recipe. I loved it. I definetely reccomend it and I am looking forward on my next visit with my friends.

Food came out fast and tasted amazing - we left empty plates 🤤🍕. The menu’s got plenty to choose from, so no one leaves hungry. I enjoyed the tea as I was offered various options of flavours to choose from and what’s more - I could choose to some extras - mint, ginger… 🫖

Excellent Italian restaurant (the next best thing, after ANY restaurant in Southern Italy, notably on the Sorrento coast… you cannot compete with that, don't even try… ) Real wood-oven, generously sized pizzas, prepared fresh… In Holland, most restaurants close at 22h00. Fortunately, this one was one of the rare ones which was still open, when we arrived in Rotterdam, in the evening (on the circuit Amsterdam-Keukenhof-The Hague-Rotterdam-Amsterdam, which we did in just one day…) Rotterdam is a very modern, big city. An "American style" city… The pictures I am hereby posting show the very large square, surrounded by huge buildings, at the corner of which this excellent restaurant is situated. (The huge neon heart that you see, is just on the façade of the ground floor/reception hall of a very large and very tall, at least 25-floors high, new and modern building).

I've been coming here with my family for about 6 years and I must say they've really upped their game lately. The food is just fantastic, especially the pizzas which are authentic thin based and absolutely delicious. The servers are very friendly, helpful and attentive. I feel like they offer a great price for the value of what you get and we look forward to coming back again and again and again!

I always see this restaurant around the city and the reviews on Google was always pretty good so went to give it a try. Chill fast casual dining place, you go up and order what you want. Nice thing is you get to see the pizza then they warm it for you. I ordered a slice of Not your Ordinary Margherita which had tomato sauce, mozzarella, crisps of parmesan and basil. I also ordered the Pancetta and Parmesan which had tomato sauce, mozzarella, honey, Italian pork belly, and parmesan. My friend ordered the Chicken and Jalapeno which had tomato sauce, mozzarella, pulled chicken, jalapeno peppers and BBQ sauce. To be honest we both didn’t like the pizzas. The crust was way too hard. The sauce was dried out. The portion did not justify the price point. Overall the taste did not make me want more.

I was there with my family and we have paid for all you can eat option (appetizer + unlimited 2hrs of pizza). Appetizer was served after long time +/- 45mins. It was tasty. Later we could order pizza from menu and waiting time was also long. I didn’t like this pizza at all - totally not my taste, pizza dough was really thick and every single slice was super fat. Girls working there were nice, but it’s not enough for me to come back there

What a find! This pizzeria is right next to NH Atlanta and turned out to be an unexpected pearl in the middle of the city. They serve a wide variety of pizzas, all fresh and full of flavor — great to share if you’re with friends or colleagues. The real surprise? They open early in the morning. Perfect for grabbing a good coffee (so much better than the standard hotel option) before starting the day. The place is spotless, the staff are super friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere feels easy and relaxed. I had a really great experience here. The girl working at the counter (a very friendly Latvian lady) was super polite and respectful. When I ordered my pizza, there was already a slice ready, but she was cutting another one and said she wanted to make it bigger with more chicken because “it has to meet our quality.” That honestly surprised me in the best way — you don’t often see that kind of care and pride in service anymore! The pizza itself was absolutely delicious, and her positive attitude made the whole experience even better. I highly recommend this place — great food and even better service! 🍕👏

I ordered two slices of vegetarian pizzas. One with caramelized onions and more and the other with mushrooms. Both of them were delicious, served at the right temperature, were thin crust and crispy. For desserts I ordered 2 Cannoliz, hazelnut and pistachio flavoured and they were sweeter and less crunchy than I'd like but almost good. The service was pleasant and the server's recommendations hit the spot. I will visit them again soon and it was a delicious meal

From reading really good reviews online (and being a pizza lover), I was really excited to try Sugo. But my god, I was so disappointed. Pre made pizza slices sat on a shelf that they just place into an oven to reheat. I ordered three different veggie slices, while my boyfriend ordered 3 meat slices. When we got the pizzas, one of my boyfriends meat ones was on my board which completely put me off. We persevered and tried to eat them, but it was bad. The dough was so dry, the toppings felt old and crispy and they were all just covered with sprinkled parmesan. They did not taste fresh, and the ingredients were cheap with thick heavy dough. From the restaurant and experience we were expecting, we were disappointed and won't be returning or recommending to friends or family. For people who travel to the Netherlands frequently, we won't be back for pizza at Sugo that's for sure. It was empty apart from one other couple and I can see why. Photo for reference is what we left...we only ate as much as we did due to being very hungry and saving ourselves for this experience.

Nice place, the pizza isn’t the typical one, but it was really nice and delicious, I liked the concept of choosing the slices you want and they will bake it for you. It’s a place to have quick bite and drinks while you are walking around the city. The caramelized onions is definitely a must try 😋

First time at Gusto, an Italian pizza and pasta restaurant 🍕 in Rotterdam, Netherlands 🇳🇱. It had nice terrace seats and professional staff. Price range: €15 - €25 per person. I picked the Diavola pizza and for dessert the Chocolate - Ginger cake topped off with corn ice cream. Diavola pizza was the right amount of spicy, the crust was a bit hard which made it difficult to cut the pizza into slices. Taste was what you'd expect from a pizza. The salami on the pizza could have been a bit less dry but it was good enough for a wednesday evening dinner. The cheese was perfect. Chocolate-Ginger cake was allright, I forgot that I am not a fan of that burning sensation from ginger. It was not too sweet, but the chocolate taste was noticably present, which pulled the cake together. The ice cream on top was a pleasant finishing touch, but in my opinion not really necessary.

The Seafood tagliatelle was good but a bit bland. I've known tastier there. Strange that we had to ask for cheese, I thought that Italians always serve Parmesan or the likes to their dishes. The waitress was very inattentive and not interested in her work, robot like service! She brought the cheese and forgot the spoon. Thus I had to give a star less, I usually like Gusto and have been several times there, once you fail the customer gets critical. Positive comments help to improve! Wine was good as well as the apperitivo! No doubt, I'll be back!

Nice Italian restaurant. Went with friends and everyone enjoyed their food. The place is crowded and should be booked ahead. I got the seafood tagliatelle which was nice. I ordered one to take home and it wasn’t as good as the one I just had in the restaurant and even with few different ingredients which was strange. It’s close to metro station and walking distance from rotterdam central station. The waiters were nice but some were inattentive maybe because of the crowd. If I’m in the neighborhood I’d defiantly want to visit to try something different but won’t go intentionally. There’s an English menu on the visit to check what they have ahead of time.

Good food. Drinks are way too expensive I felt. It is a good spot for a special dinner. We had lamb stew with polenta and gnocchi for main course. Both were very good. We ordered dessert platter to share. It was a bit underwhelming. Tiramisu is good though.

The atmosphere inside the restaurant was great! Was able to enjoy an awesome night here with good food and drinks. The pizza itself was very crispy with an airy thick crust. The dough could have been thicker though imo and the amount of cheese and tomato puree was rather limited. Overall pretty satisfied with some room for improvement though :). Would definitely give their ice cream a try as they make for some tasty options. Yogurt& blackberries, so good!

Extremely expensive, portions are extremely small and quality is not high. Italian cuisine is elsewhere. 27 euro for a small portion (which was meant to be for two people) of cold cuts, some burrata and two supplí is really outrageous. We have even asked twice if the portion was really for two people, as it appeared so small that we believed there was a mistake. The ravioli (20 euro) were below average, and the recipe discutible. And again, the portion was really small. The strolghino salame was not fresh at all, as it was dry - for 5.5 euro per 50 grams (more than 100 euro per chilo for a product worth max 25/kg when is top quality) I would expect much more. Look elsewhere if you want to have an Italian meal.

I've visited this restaurant on 22th February 2025 with my friend. It's a good restaurant but there are issues. Positive aspects: -The owner was very friendly and gave us enough time to finish our dessert and espresso while the next guests were waiting for our table. That was the reason why I gave extra tip. -The self-made bread was very good. -The Branzino Al-Sale tasted very good. Neutral aspects: -The ravioli la limone tasted flat. The was no taste explosion in the mouth at all. 24,70 Euro is a very tough price to swallow. We see the true value at max. 15 Euro. -We were waiting a long time for the pre-course when were asked whether we wanted to have some bread for the meantime. We agreed to that but did not know that we were charged 7,50 Euro for that. With this knowledge we would have declined the offer and would have continued to wait for the pre-course. -The presentation of the Branzino al-Sale was, I'm truly sorry, boring. There must be a better way to present the vegetables. -The tables were standing very close to each other so there is no privacy if somebody is looking for that. -the lo stuzzuchino del Cuoco was a bit flat, especially the melon. Summary: for the price we paid, this was definitely too expensive and we probably won't come back. We would give an overall four stars if the price would have been at around 120-130 Euro instead of 149,10 Euro. This we say without being a gastronome and we know that it is super tough to be one with the high inflation and overboarding regulation. On the other side we have to work really hard for our money and have to see which value we get for the money spent. If price is not a limitation, I advice people to come here, to make their own experience and to form their own opinion.

When I had my exchange in Rotterdam, this was my go to place for Italian food! The service and atmosphere is outstanding as they treat all of their customers as their friends. We were welcomed with their signature limoncello spritz as we waited for the food. All dishes felt authentic and tasted really good. We finished the meal off with their home made tiramisu which was also delicious.

Me, my brother & my parents had a wonderful dinner here last Saturday! I was looking for one of my favourite dishes - Cacio e Pepe - and I found this restaurant. The atmosphere was great, staff very nice and the food even better! It is authentic Italian, both the people and the food. Also loved the decoration. Would definitely recommend this place! I for sure want to come back and try out all the other dishes!

The ambiance and staff are generally pleasant, but unfortunately our experience has been rather the opposite. The dining area was extremely crowded and noisy, with tables placed uncomfortably close to one another, compromising comfort. Service was unexpectedly slow — we waited an hour and 50 min for a simple pasta dish. When the food finally arrived, it fell short of expectations: the pasta was overcooked and lacked the quality one would hope for an Italian restaurant. Additionally, the prices were surprisingly high given both the service experience and the food quality. Overall, I would not recommend this restaurant to those seeking a good Italian dining experience.

There were many options on the menu and the food was great! Each pizza is around €7 so its a good deal for the quality and flavor you get. The hawaiian pizza was delicious. It can get quite busy but is worth the wait and the service is fast.

Not sure where the good pizzabakers went but this is the first time i didnt eat this pizza! The dough wasnt even baked!! Also bc the baker did tomato ham cheese pineapple...so everything just fell off!!! A disgrace for real Italian pizzamakers!!!! But thats probably because they arent italians anymore. A kebab shop would probably better fit them! I took an english mate to this place and told him they have the best pizzas around here, although its not Napolitano style they were good when the old italian guy was still there. Probably he is dead or so otherwise he would not except this poor quality, he will turn around in his grave when seeing this! I will never go back here again!

Got vouchers on social deal.. 45 mins from entry time we got the starters.. And our pizza came in 30 minutes from there... My appetite had pretty much died down by the time food came in... The pizza base is not the best The only pizza I liked was the Caprese.. Small portions and the slowest service 🥲 All in all would definitely not recommend on weekends...

I visited Sugo with a colleague shortly before closing time and we ate our pizzas while the hosts were preparing for closing. The atmosphere was relaxed, the taste of the pizza pleasantly surprised me, the friendly demeanour of the hosts felt nice and even though they got my order wrong, they didn’t add the mistake to the bill. I should definitely visit again and try different kinds of their pizzas.

Sugo is one of my favorite discoveries in Rotterdam. The pizza al taglio is light, fresh and really tasty. You can even share a plate and try different flavors, which makes it fun. Coffee here is fantastic have Decaf which is a problem in Rotterdam somehow, and the fact they open early is a lifesaver, especially if you’re staying at NH Atlanta next door (they don’t have a coffee lounge, so this place is a perfect replacement). The design is modern and fresh, eyes clean. staff are super kind and helpful, and there’s even an outside terrace where on warm days you catch a nice breeze through the street. Relaxed atmosphere, good food, great coffee, good people watching spot. I’ll definitely be back. Thank you❤️

This was a nice place, we split a very delicious pizza with an ultralight crust and also a salad that was very generous. My only complaint was they didn't serve tap water and we had to buy water. But that wasn't explained when my partner ordered water, the server brought us the bottle without telling us they didn't have tap water. I realize this is common in Europe, just like to be told in advance. Otherwise, nice atmosphere and delicious pizza.

It was a very cozy pizza (and not only) place, the service was very pleasant and professional, the redefined lamb kebab and pancetta and parmesan pizzas were so delicious! We also had tiramisu and cheesecake in a jar for dessert and couldn't recommend it enough either. Will definitely come back again. :)

Chicken and pesto pizza tasted great, very juicy with a crispy bottom and plenty of flavour. One portion is definitely big enough for two people, so the price also ends up being reasonable. Service was friendly and attentive. I also like that they organise their menu based of the healthiness level of the pizzas.

My order looked terrible 14 euros and i get a burnt piece of cheese and sauce on dough. Burnt on the top, and soggy uncooked at the bottom. I expected more from you guys. And when you call them they say because they are very busy. So if the pressure is on your quality declines. Says alot about your establishment. Sad to say I wont order again from you guys.

Had a very bad experience with delivery pizzas. Usually I order from PizzaBakkers when I would like to have good quality food. I regularly order PizzaBakkers in Delft and always had a very good experience. However, when I order from Pannekoekstraat PizzaBakkers all I got was a joke! We ordered three pizzas and non of them look liked the picture at all. Mozzarella cheese should have arrived in a separate box. But all the ingredients on our pizza was damaged. They were cold, smaller size and very oily. I will never order from this place again! And I don't recommend at all...

The pizzas are really delicious, but the service is terrible. Waitresses without any basic knowledge of table service, brought out the starters that would be to share, without a plate, without a napkin without a silverware. The wine (white) in a frappé with water in the heat of the day (not even an ice cube), nor did she open the bottle, let alone serve it, in a restaurant where we were the only customers. I think the fault is not of the waitress herself, but of the restaurant that does not focus on training good employees, a pity for a place with such good food.

One of our family members is allergic to dairy, and requested pizza without dairy. When the delivery arrived, she asked if there is one pizza without dairy and the lady replied: I didn't make it, it's what you ordered. We noticed that none of the pizzas fitted the none dairy request. We called and we have been told that we won't get any other pizza or a refund for their mistake (that could hurt the person either the allergy). The way they handled the situation was truly disrespectful. They definitely lost multiple future costumes today! If you are allergic to anything, please be safe and do not eat here.

The pizzas weren’t bad, but the service was downright awful. After placing our order three times, because the lady could not keep up, we still didn’t get what we ordered. That wouldn’t have been an issue if they hadn’t made us wait for over an hour, without dropping by our table even once.

We were there because an Italian friend had recommended me to test the pizza quality. But unfortunately it was disappointing. For a pizza calzone normal and a quatro stagioni we had a lot of rauw paprika and big sliced mushrooms which were not cocked well. Usually for the pizza, since the cocking time is short the vegetables need to be sliced smaller. Perhaps on that day -23th of September 2016- we were not one of the lucky clients.

We heard about them, ordered it for the first time from Schiedam, and the pizza come in 20 mins, warm and fresh. To my surprise, it is a pizza with real tomato sauce, real pizza dough and real mozarella! I can understand the many bad reviews here because people here are not used to real, natural stuff, and some people like that sugary, ketchup like supermarket tomato sauce sh.t. And some may think it is "not fresh" if they dont taste sulfite in it... This is how real pizza tastes, that was even a stone oven baked one! Highly recommended

My first meal in Rotterdam and what a way to begin! These pizzas were incredible, honestly better than any vegan pizza I’ve had including many popular spots in London. Delicious base and sauce, plus the toppings were so generous. I felt like I had a whole box of mushrooms on my pizza (in the best way)! Some places are really stingy so this was a super refreshing change. Must visit for any pizza fan. Final tip: order the garlic dipping sauce for your crusts!

Very friendly and talkative staff. We some had difficulty choosing from all the options, so we got some more time while we got served our drinks and a nice starter. The food was great! The homemade vegan cheese tasted really nice and melted so well. I had the carbonara pizza which was really good but a bit too salty. Luckily we ordered some dips for the crust and that helped smooth out the salty punch. After our pizzas we ordered some delicious brownies and ice cream and got our unfinished slices in a box to go. We had a 2 person starter, two drinks per person, two pizzas and two desserts for € 85,- so that's not all that expensive. The atmosphere inside was super cosy and outside it felt nice to sit under the trees in the late night sun. However the restaurant is next to a two way street through which quite a few cars drive. Hopefully later on the barrier between the tables and the street would be a little bigger so the noise from the cars doesn't interfere with conversations. All in all, the food was great (4.5/5) the service was banging (brownie😉) and the atmosphere nice. Would recommend 10/10

Absolutely amazing ! I have been there many times and probably even more ! Full vegan menu, super delicous food and very friendly staff! The location is nice, outside tables are available, inside is very well decorated. It is clean and fast! The pizzas ,snacks, deserts, pastas are all yummy! My favorite is especially “The Garden”. They have also a branch in Den Haag too.

Simply amazing. I have never had such a good vegan pizza, how do they make the cheese taste so good??? Pizzas were big enough to almost make you question if you'd want dessert, and then end up still ordering dessert (which definitely was not a mistake, the cheesecake was amazing) I spent a little over 30 euros for a 3 course meal and one drink. Service was great and very professional, had a lovely chat with the waiter and learned about their restaurant and mission. Overall, this is the #1 place I'd go back to in Rotterdam. Even if I didn't care about vegan food.

So the pizzas are very good, service was mediocre. The moment we arrived we where told we needed to be gone by 8 because of next reservations. Which gave us a small 2 hours. Then when we wanted to start with some starters while thinking of the mains we where told we had to order everything at the same time. So mains starters etc. Because of the tight schedule, then maybe don't have such tight schedules. In the end we just skipped the starters because there wouldnt be enoigh time. The pizzas where very good though. 👍

Great place for an informal pizza dinner. We come here a lot with our family. Desserts are great as well. The people who work here are always friendly and relaxed. The pizza’s have a very thin crust, a bit wet because of generously applied sauce and mozzarella, which I like. My favourite is the “Norma” with super tender aubergine.

Recently opened and already serving arguably the best pizza's in town. The dough is thin and light yet has a great bite to it. Don't skimp on the antipasti though as they are just as tasty. Will be coming back regularly. Tips: Raviolo and La Norma.

We regularly visit the neighborhood from America, as our daughter lives closeby. When here, we always have a dinner or two at Buffel. We love the pizza and the Caprese salads. The staff is very friendly and the prices are reasonable.

I heard a lot of good things about this place but unfortunately I found the pizza fell rather short. I had the spinaci and my friend had a truffle one, the spinaci was very one note and the wet spinach on top wasn't particularly appetising. It's also quite pricey for what you get, we were both still kinda hungry after the pizza. The panna cotta was all right, the tiramisu was a much better bang for your buck both price- and taste-wise.

The atmosphere in the restaurant was cozy. The pasta tasted good (although the bolognese sauce was a bit on a “watery side”). I’ve also added mushrooms to mine (you have a choice of different toppings to choose from for your pizza or pasta. The staff was nice, but it took a while for them to make their machine work, so i could use my card. So, overall with atmosphere in the restaurant it’s nice.

Big portions. Lots of sauce. Nice to eat when you’re hungry, but don’t expect anything spectacular. The salmon in the pasta was way too salty. In the shrimp pasta, there were only 6 shrimps (just a fact, not complaining considering the price). We liked that we could choose a pasta form, they even had a wholegrain option

Sea food pasta is way too watery. Chicken mushroom pasta is dry and no taste. Many seats inside also outdoor. Even it's not busy indoor, still wait long have drink and to check bill.

On two separate occasions, the meals I was served were of such poor quality that it was both disappointing and unacceptable. The second experience was even worse than the first, which makes it clear that this is not a one-time mistake but a serious problem in your kitchen. To make matters worse, the shrimp I ordered the first time was undercooked, which is a serious health risk. After I raised my concerns and reordered, the replacement came back burnt — showing a complete lack of care or professionalism in food preparation. It was not only my experience that evening. I also observed other customers voicing their dissatisfaction and requesting replacement plates. This proves the problem is not limited to me but reflects a much wider issue. Additionally, the waitress serving us was visibly sick, coughing into her hands while handling food. This is completely unhygienic and unacceptable. At the very least, she should have followed standard hygiene practices, such as coughing into her elbow, especially since she was serving food directly to customers. Serving food of such low quality, with unsafe preparation and unhygienic service, damages your reputation and shows a serious lack of respect for paying customers. If your team cannot consistently provide properly prepared meals in a safe and hygienic manner, then urgent changes are needed immediately. I strongly urge you to take action and correct these failures without delay. Customers should never have to question the safety, quality, or hygiene of the food being served.

What a lovely, cosy restaurant! We have been there several times, food excellent: tasty and fresh salads, Pizza and Pasta very delicious and really loads to eat. Everything has a reasonable price tag, no hassle on tips- you pay as ordered. Full recommendations!

They have a very huge selection of pizzas and other Italian food. Service was really fast and friendly. The food we had was pretty delicious. They don’t accept reservations so it is better to go early on weekends.

The perfect dinning experience! The atmosphere is great, feels really hip and fun. The food was phenomenal, our table shared pizzas and every pizza was absolutely delicious. Came here tonight and it was easily one of the best pizza places if not the best in Rotterdam. The interior is minimalistic but very cozy and our waiter was really friendly and attentive. After ordering we got our food in like 10 minutes and it was delicious. Both pizzas I tried including the crudo and salsiccia were fresh and tasted like how a pizza should taste. I honestly think that Rotterdam lacks in really good Italian places so I highly recommend to anyone looking for a great and affordable pizza restaurant.

We sat down at a 4 person table (20:30) and were requested to sit at a 2 person table instead. Despite it being late and it being not likely to get much busier we accepted and ended up at another table that was not so nicely located as the previous (also next to smokers unfortunately). Before receiving any service (~10 minute wait) another couple already had sat down at our previous 4 person table and received menus and service - what explains this treatment of guests?

I was there with my friends. The atmosphere was amazing and food was even better. I would say best Italian food in Netherland. I was just amazed to find the place right next to Rotterdam station and it was so good. Usually near station restaurants are not great so it was a lovely surprise.

This is the worst Italian cuisine we’ve experienced so far , and the house wine was also very disappointing. In fact we barely ate the four dishes that were served and when we were asked why, we honestly replied. To that their reply was “that’s the first time we hear this in 30 years” and walked away. The service was unfriendly and arrogant. Not even an effort to suggest a commercial gesture either. Definitely won’t recommend this place to anyone.

We were in Rotterdam for 3 nights and came here two of them. The food is delicious! It's rustic and homey and everything we ate was amazing. It's run by a family, with the Grandmother doing the cooking, while the brother and sister handle the front of the house. We have a 15 year old, somewhat picky eater, however he devoured his dinner both nights. Our waitress was the daughter, and she's lovely. She would suggest an entree to our son, he would smile and say ok, and then clean his plate! It was wonderful to see. Seriously, go here if you are visiting Rotterdam, you won't be disappointed.

The best Italian restaurant in the area, and the best meal that I had during my time in Rotterdam. The restaurant is easy to miss, but definitely worth visiting. They serve up authentic dishes and the owners are all Italian. Thoroughly enjoyed it, and was planning on going back on a Saturday before heading to the airport but unfortunately they are closed on weekends.

It is the best Italian restaurant in town!!! we live in the same street for three years and we regret it not to come there sooner. I mean seriously, not only the food is super delicious and locally authentic (not your typical Italian franchise with dutch tongue adjusment) but the service very warmly and attentive. We were with three adults and my 6 years old son whom ate the whole spaghetti bolognese to the last spaghetto. The best for us was the aglio olio, the best I ever had in my life. We were there for 2,5 hours from our antipasti to main course and the joyful of just talking to each other while enjoying the food and the wine. The portion is big so we dont have enough space for dessert but surely will come there for more and to finally try the dessert. Also an advice, come with empty stomach. They are Italian family with nonna and nonno and their children. Maybe the location is a blessing in disguise. It is located in the corner of delftste building (do I write that correctly?) So right in the exposure but enough to hide it and give a serene atmosphere where time goes lovely.

A family owned authentic Italian restaurant beside Rotterdam Central station. The food, the wines and service are all amazing, this is a true gem and our favourite in Rotterdam. You'll need to book as it is always full.

Excellent foodie place right next to the Central station🥰 It feels truly Italian right from the very beginning - the menu that is written on a board and is moved for every visitor, the friendly service and, of course, the food. The owners come from the Southern Italy, so there are lots of menu options that are specific to that region. We loved everything we tried🤤 Unfortunately, we couldn’t taste their Tiramisu, so we plan to get back to fix that!

Not recommended. The pizza didn't resemble authentic Italian pizza, and the tiramisu was also a disappointment. While I appreciated the presentation of the lasagna, the taste was underwhelming, and the sour tomato sauce was off-putting. The spaghetti carbonara was good, but I suspect it was made with packaged pasta rather than fresh. The presentation of the tiramisu felt tacky. Additionally, I wasn't comfortable with the overly familiar behavior of the Italian waitress. I definitely won’t be returning.

The best original Italian restaurant you can find in Rotterdam, the special truffle tagliatelle were made in front of us and absolutely delicious, 100% would recommend if you want to eat well. Thanks to Gianni and the rest of the staff who were very helpful and truly made our day!

Came back and had a buffalo caprese and the cheese wheel pasta with some drinks. It was really really nice and an overall lovely experience. Can't wait to be back. I've been here a few times over the past 6 years and each time it's been a nice gastro experience. The owner is very involved and knows many customers which gives a very warm and welcoming feel. The ambience is pleasant and the service is professional and friendly. The food and drinks on offer are of very good quality and the prices in comparison seem fair. The food served is delicious, well prepared and all the senses seem pleasantly fulfilled with the experience. The pasta cooked in the cheese wheel is an interesting experience, alongside the delicious lasagne Popeye and they have some good wines available too. A lovely place to eat and drink imho and I'll be back soon. Keep up the good work.

Cozy restaurant with good food. Felt that 24,50 EUR is little expensive for a Pasta. Also felt that the food portion (lasagne) was little smaller. But the food tasted very good. Their wine choices were great and staffs were very friendly and welcoming.

Perfect pizza, great lasagna, friendly service. So why only 2 stars? Because €5.50 for a 0.25l beer is simply too much — and they call that Medium size. Hold on: a medium beer is 0.25l and costs €5.50? That’s a no-go. Despite the delicious food and good service, we won’t be coming back.

We had Spaghetti Bolognese and a Pizza Salami, and both dishes were absolutely delicious. The service was very attentive, friendly, and made us feel really welcome throughout the whole evening. The restaurant itself has a cozy and pleasant atmosphere, which made the experience even better.

One of the best Italian restaurants in the Netherlands. For the starter, we ordered Schiacciata which was so-so, it was some sort of Italian garlic bread. We also ordered bruschetta which had onions in the ingredients. The bolognese pasta was super tasty, with a very flavorful bolognese sauce. Pasta carbonara was also super good. The pasta Parmigiano was tasty and creamy as well, although it had only 4 pieces of shrimp in it. The desert tiramisu was a very classic Italian taste and we all liked it. The plate that the Creme brulee was served on was clever. It was broad and shallow, which made the balance between the caramel surface and cream perfectly match.

The young staff was very friendly and fast, however one of them was disciplined in front of us by an older colleague in a not so friendly matter, not very professional. Food was okay for the price. Tasty, well prepared food. Reasonably priced given the generous portions. We had risotto, beef, some fish dishes and pasta. Also some antipasti and dessert. Nothing to complain about that. I recommend them putting a little dressing on the salad and having a wine list. The house wine was just okay for us.

This restaurant is fine. Went there with high expectations because of the rave reviews, but the experience was something else. The staff lacked compassion and did not rub us the right way. They seemed to be making fun of myself and the people I was with and it did not give us a nice feeling while eating. They also checked up on us multiple times and while that can be appreciated they did it so excessively that it became annoying and noticeable and hindered us from having a normal conversation. The food was salty but decent and the wine was good. They also bring out bread for you immediately without you asking for it or ordering it. You would think or assume that this is complementary, especially considering that you did not order it, but you will get billed for it at the end of your dinner. Luckily myself and the other patrons were aware of this because of other reviews, but still a questionable and shady move when you consider it. Overall not a bad restaurant and they are willing to think with you. The staff lacks on some aspects, but maybe they just had an off day or they just didn’t know what to do with diners like myself and the people I was with. The restaurant has a nice ambience to it, and the food was not halfbad, but the overall experience overshadows this greatly.

Restorant located on edge if Rotterdam. We have been staying close by and decided to visit one of the places that had good reviews and have not been disappointed. Located in a residential building on the ground floor and easy to find. Food was really good! Pasta dish had just enough cheese in it while lasagne had meat in the middle and you can see clearly where meat ends vs rest of the dish. Waiters have been really attentive and acted promptly in case we needed anything. I would come back here.

A big place with super extensive list of drinks. They have over 600 types of whiskey and 100 plus beers that are served in different ways. Its unfortunate that they don't have tasting menu for both, if not could be an interesting place to try different drinks on budget. Aside from that, it's a nice place to hangout with friends and can have whatever drink you prefer. The service can be bit slow and waiting time is bit high. Nevertheless, it is a recommended place for whiskey lovers or who want to find their taste. Visited again and had some food. It's really good for the price you pay and goes well with all the drinks.

What a place to be!, we went out exploring for the first time in Rotterdam and this cozy cool bar was one of the first places we met. Amazing atmosphere and a craazy selection of beers definitely worth the visit!!

Interesting place from a tourist point of view. The food was really good and I need to mention that I am quite picky. On the other hand the service level was way below expectations. Even if I requested specifically that I don't want ice on the cocktail they still included it and also on pizza my request was not respected. So to sum up, if you drink or eat standard food, you can go in there.

We had the ruccola pizza, the quattro stagionnes and the salami pizzas. We were too full to try the desserts but I wanted to try them all. The VERY BEST Italian restaurant in Rotterdam! It's not far from the city centre in a residential area. Bus 32 from Blaak will take you there and it's worth the trip. This family owned restaurant may look unassuming and there is no fancy decor but loyal customers come here for the phenomenal food and service. It was busy on a Wednesday evening and there were customers for pizza takeaway: an indication of the popularity of the restaurant. Highly recommended!! PS: No credit/debit card. Completely insane and aggressive owner. Ordered 2 pizzas through Thuisbezorgd app. He asked for the order name, I said I wasn't sure in which name it was done, so I showed him the receipt with the order code in big letters. He started yelling at me. He insisted on the name, so I told him my name. He didn't listen, because he was going nuts moving around and waving his hands, saying I was wasting his time. Went back in twice, started yelling "who called?". I told him I didn't call, I used the app. Finally he brought out his printed receipt from the kitchen, which had my name and, obviously, the code in BIG LETTERS. I confirmed that was my order, and he said it would take another 5 minutes, and started apologizing in the most insincere way. Go here if you like getting yelled at and feeling like they are doing you a favor for selling you food.

This is an odd place. The staff is weirdly rude, like looking at you with a distrusting look and feeling offended when you ask for a napkin (that they forgot to set our table with). And it's cash only. Not even a PIN automaat. What place takes exclusively cash...?

Quality of the food is not wat it used to be. It used to be good; but it has been several times that everything is off. Unfortunately last weekend was the last. Calzone was overcooked, dough was completely off (dense) and poorly stuffed with a drizzle of tomato sauce outside, why?. Which was odd. Pizza besides that it didn’t meet the food requirements (add ons) was the least of the problem; the main problem was the pizza dough; it was dense and burned. Regardless of the restaurant being kind and trying to make it better; the density of the dough remained the same and was very off. It is a shame.

I did not enjoy my stay in this hotel. I already encountered some racism concerning my natural hair and skin on my way to Rotterdam but when tell y’all the manager of this hotel displayed a racist and sarcastic attitude when I asked for a new key card and when i was sitting in the terrace??? Chile ! When my key cards malfunctioned, the manager and a male receptionist insisted on seeing my identification before allowing me access to the room I had booked under my name with my ID. This implied suspicion was both unnecessary and insulting, considering the presence of numerous security cameras and staff who have already seen me, including the man who was next to the manager. It seemed they doubted my ability to afford the room and needed to verify my identity …which i’ve already experienced in certain hotels…Conversely, when my boyfriend required a key card, he was not subjected to any such scrutiny. I was frequently restricted from sitting on the terrace without causing any disturbance. However, when I smoked on the terrace with my white boyfriend, no complaints were made. Despite my request for an apology, the manager continued to deny her behavior with a sarcastic smile, stating, "I cannot be racist because I am also a person of color." This remark clearly demonstrated her ignorance and lack of education on the matter. It is unimaginable to convey such insensitivity to a person with dark skin. The service at this hotel was subpar overall. The receptionists rarely smiled, and the cleaning staff neglected to remove food trays left outside my door from 9 AM to 6 PM for two consecutive days, until i lodged a complaint at the reception, that’s when it would get cleaned up. Given that it is 2024… where’s the wifi ??? As i said in this day and age , the level of service should reflect standards of a luxurious establishment. Numerous excellent hotels exist in Rotterdam, and this one is not the only option. The poor behavior and unwelcoming attitude of the staff significantly undermine the hotel's reputation, rendering the entire business unprofessional.

Visited in 2023. It was great. Came back in 2024 and can confirm that this is not what I expected: it’s been named Fletcher. At check in, the room was dirty. Balcony had at least 15 cigarette buds scattered and the table outside had food and drink all over it. I was travelling with a kid and when I mentioned this situation with cigarettes there was no acknowledgment whatsoever. There is renovation going on. We had to order our food in, when it was delivered they didn’t bother to inform us. I can go on and on. Simply incompetent. Not worth the money spent here. Marriott/Hilton are way better

Punching above their weight, not quite there yet. +: * Very tasteful interior design, seldom seen in a hotel of this price class. * rooms small but large bed and good mattress and pillow selection * nice light from large floor to ceiling windows that open well (applause!) -: * The hotel is a labyrinth when you are not sleeping in building A. Signage is either highly confusing of simply missing or wrong. We had to go back to the reception and ask to accompany us to our room. We had a great laugh, because even the staff found it confusing. * the lights in the room that stay on at night at night are nerve wrecking. Every hotel has this (smoke detectors, tvs, etc) but this hotel beats them all hands down. For one, there is a normal floodlight under the main cupboard that does not turn off and is way to bright. Second, the light from the airco controller is a bright blue LED Lights that illuminates half the room (with blue light, a colour that activates you while you try to sleep) * bathroom is missing a trashcan and missing all basic toiletries, except tiny shampoo/soap dispenser which was as good as empty. * staff is hit and miss, ranging from very helpful but unexperienced to more experienced and ignorant. When asking ‘how was your stay?’ I replied; ‘nice, but I can think of a couple of points for improvement’ the answer was ‘glad you liked it’ and ‘there is always room for improvement and that can only make us better’. So true, except she failed to ask what my feedback was ( it made me smile internally, she genuinely meant what she said but had no clue what just happened and certainly did not learn from it). Overall a recommendable hotel from a value for money perspective, but I was still left with an unsatisfying sense that this could easily have been a 4-star hotel at 25% higher rates with some simple changes and better trained staff.

We stayed here 1 night while visiting Rotterdam. We took the family room, as we were a group of 4. The hotel is located 13 minute walk from the main train station; also close to the places we had wanted to visit. The reception ladies were very nice and welcoming. We were also able to store out luggage and go walk around until our room was ready. Customer service was superb. The room was very clean and uniquely decorated. The toilet was a separate room then the shower and sink and that was a bit annoying. There was also no hand soap. The beds are on the smaller size, specially for 2 adults. Another issue is the rooms have a step to get into them. We had a stroller and had to pick up the stroller, I’m not sure if they have something better for people with wheelchairs. Overall though we did enjoy our stay.

Hotel is nicely appointed, rooms are spacious, well laid-out, beds extremely comfortable, location convenient to area attractions including the cube houses and the staff went out of their way to be nice and helpful. We had dinner delivered and the front desk staff offered us dinner plates and flatware. It was highly appreciated. Thank you.

Beautiful hotel with unique design! Friendly staff! Warmly greeted at check in and given an upgrade to the Executive suite. The staff recognized my Marriott status and that a birthday was being celebrated. Given a bottle of wine with a personalized birthday card! The room was extremely nice and more than expected. Very spacious and unique layout. Beautiful view from the huge balcony that wrapped around the entire suite. Good location to the metro within a 2 minute walk, can get to main areas of the city within 10 minutes.

The hotel it self is very luxurious. I want there with good expectations but the room didn't have slippers. The air conditioning did not work and the room was too hot. When we requested slippers a worker denied they were unavailable. When we complained she gave them. Even when the air conditioning was on 18° it was too hot and I requested fans. The workers with the night shift were very rude mean and disrespectful. I even felt discriminated. If it isn't better next time I dont want to return.

Surprisingly, upon request, despite many empty tables remaining unoccupied until after we left, we were not offered a more comfortable seating option. The food was a mix of highs and lows. While the antipasti and spaghetti were underwhelming, the burrata was fresh and well-prepared and the lasagna really stood out. The tiramisu was decent but did not leave a lasting impression. A surprising detail was the wine being served in a water glass. an unusual choice in my opinion.

Undoubtedly the best antipasti of veggies I ever had. Each of them was perfectly cooked, crunchy and in the mean time seasoned to make the flavor judt perfect. The portion per person were so generous that we decided to share the main dishes to be able to try them out. The cannelloni were delicious and the pasta with parmesan tasted quite good and well. Some of us even went for a dessert and between tiramisu, tatin pie and citrus pie the choice was quite hard. I recommend this place, the prices reflect the quality of the cooking.

I went to this pizza places because of good reviews and pictures, but i was very dissapointent after tasting it. The dough was bland and had some taste. I didnt like it at all and it wasnt the usual taste of good italian pizza. Also the cheese and other ingridients on the pizza were poorly distributed, I could only taste mostly the dought. Also, unfortunetly, even the sausage didnt have good taste. It was also very bland. (And i dont have corona). The stuff is ok, but definitely not proffesional.

Even though we visited on a rather calm Monday evening, the pizza took around 40 minutes to arrive. Waiting staff was not apologetic or sympathetic, and after the long wait, we get a pizza that is mostly burnt. Also staff didn’t seem to care when we flagged it, blaming the oven for being “crazy”. We went for lunch, had a good experience. The coffee was nice, but I agree with other reviews that the breads would be nicer if served warm. Also the one with mortadelle only had one slice inside, so you didn't taste it at all, could be a bit better filled.

A cute shop. Next to (and, part of?) Panda Pizza. A nice place to sit down for a cup of coffee and sandwich. I ordered a cappuccino, which was very good; smooth, well-made and served at the right temperature. The focaccias were freshly baked and had a nice crisp to them. I ordered the Fresco, which came with buffalo mozzarella, sliced veal ham, tomato, rucola and pesto. The mozzarella was quite wet and leaky, but it did not make the focaccia soggy, which was a relief. My friend ordered the Caprese and enjoyed it. The toppings are halal, and as far as I could tell, they do not serve any pork. Worth noting that they only serve focaccias. They do not serve any other food, like soups and salads. Prices start at €9, which is on the more expensive side for a sandwich. Still, the quality is solid.

Came here during Ramadan since they were open after iftar, which is a lovely concept and the reason I found this cafe in the first place. Unfortunately there were no baristas on staff, so the one employee left was not able to make any of the menu drinks beyond the coffee and the standard matcha, which was a little disappointing since the rest of the menu looks great. The coffee was fine, but the matcha was not mixed at all, just hard green clumps in the bottom. I asked if the desserts were halal - the employee didn't know, so I couldn't order any. I would really like to come back to give this place another earnest try, but my advice to the owners would be - please do consider if you can offer a representative service during Ramadan, if you decide to open at all. It was such a shame to come all the way to your cafe and left feeling disappointed.
