Love this place! The best carrot cake I’ve ever had: flavorful, moist and the icing is perfect. The other cakes are not bad at all, but I love the carrot cake. The cookie chips? Incredible. The brownies are also delicious, you will never regret to stop by to grab something or sit down to enjoy the delicious menu

Great little place. Unfortunately I found the cookies too crispy and sweet for my liking, but I prefer the cookies that are thicker and softer but crispy edges. Brownies were really good! So was the tropical bar

The best bakery in the city, with desserts that are absolutely amazing. My personal favorites are the chocolate muffin and the date cheesecake. It can be challenging to find a spot during busy weekend hours, and you might encounter a long queue at times. The service is always friendly, and they do an excellent job packing for take-away. While the coffee isn’t the best, this place is always worth a visit for the desserts alone!

ordered a small cheesecake for my boyfriend’s birthday, staff was friendly, i picked the cake up with no issues. cake was delicious, creamy, not too sweet or tough, for the price way better than expected. i would say that the small cheesecake is suitable for 6 normal portions, or 8 small ones. :)

Cozy atmosphere, warm design, unforgettable cheesecake, This place was recommended by one of the coolest ladies in Rotterdam, who lives nearby and swears they have the best cheesecake in town. I’m not usually a fan of cakes, but I have to admit she was right. I could’ve easily eaten the whole cake instead of just one slice. It’s the kind of café I’d bring people to. The walls hold small art pieces in every corner, each one carrying a bit of something to communicate to you . I like places like that where art, coffee, and atmosphere quietly reflect pieces of yourself. I hope when you visit, you’ll find yours too.

One of the best cake places in Rotterdam. First time I had it was a friend brought a couple slices of cheesecake for dinner, just the plain cheesecake and it was amazing. Then another friend had it for their birthday, blueberry cheesecake, amazing too. This time we ended up going there, we got a Naked Chocolate Cake, a slice of Carrot Cake, and some chocolate chip cookies. Everything was amazing as always, just the chocolate chip cookies, I would have liked it to be softer. Overall super good place and I will be returning to get more.

Very nice, stone oven taste, but very below average topping, Ordered the Margeritha, and only 2 small spots had cheese on it. Basically had tomato and dough. Also, couldnt add an additional topping. Very very dissapointing.

Very very good. The pizza is really good, service very nice and the cannoli is something else. Amazing!!!

Called to check if there were tables free as they do not do reservations. 10 min bike ride with 3 kids. Then needed to wait 30 min to an hour for a table. Very disappointed. Then ate next door. But I hear the pizza’s are good.

Where to go on a Saturday night: with no doubt La Pizza! Amazing starters like the melanzane and the polpette al limone. The pizzas are delicious. Very nice atmosphere, super friendly staff and nice decoration. Great job! Looking forward to come back to try your desserts.

Literally right around the corner from our Airbnb and just fantastic pizza. I have tried 2 other pizza places in Rotterdam and nothing compares to La Pizza Noord. The crust is thin and flavorful, the sauce is very fresh and the cheese is very good. They put quite a bit of basil on top which is a treat. My partner ordered a Calzone and really enjoyed all the flavors. Worth a stop if in the area of the Central Station.

In our discovery of bakery in Rotterdam we found this little place that is extremely nice. The space is very small but the quality of the products is very good! They produce bread, croissant, Cinnabons, banabreads,..; there is also the possibility to order cakes or biscuits. We got Cinnabon, latte macchiato and americano. The stuff is very friendly and also professional. The prices are very good considering the quality of the products! We are gonna come back for sure!

Several spots were closed due to vacation period, but just beyond the border of the city centre in Rotterdam there is a little gem foreigners should know about. Here you can find the best lunch you can find! The schorem (optie Nelis, photo) is one to remember. The bread is homemade, and you can even bring some home. You can be seated inside, and on the curb there are some nice spots to enjoy your lunch.

I really enjoy coming to this place for a drink and a bite to eat. I am particularly fond of their 'worstenbroodjes' as there is cheese IN the sausage. What a wonderful times we are living in. Also their 'molenwieken' are one of my favourites. When it comes to my sweet tooth (as some of my followers may have noticed), the buttercake and pecanslammer can really satisfy my needs. If you need a good loaf of bread, this is also the place to be. I know it is easier to buy it at a supernarket, but you are worth more than that. Treat yourself. Go on, you know you want it. By the by, sometimes there is a queue outside, don't let it keep you from coming here. The people here work really hard. Join the queue and you will see it is your turn before you know it.

Food was very tasty but I expected a bit more for the share brunch plate. Lady who attended us was very nice and welcoming and so was the other staff. Coffee was particularly lovely for some reason and the decoration was warming and very aesthetic. Great place overall 👍🏼

This place is the true definition of five stars! I can’t find words to describe how delicious the food was. We ordered the fried chicken sandwich, the French toast and kimchi deviled eggs. The friend chicken sandwich has this delightful kick. The French toast was really well done and the deviled eggs were a perfect appetizer. 100% recommended!

This was on my list of places for a while. I was looking forward to eating the kimchi fried chicken burger and the mint cucumber shrub. The kimchi burger was delicious with the brioche bun, kimchi, fried chicken, cabbage and cheese. The fried chicken was really crunchy but the burger was a little on the dry side. The shrub was refreshing on the hot day and was a nice in combination with the burger. This place has quite a variety of options but the fried chicken burger is their weekend brunch menu and they have a different set of dishes during the week.

Everything was absolutely delicious. We had a great night with beautifully plated and scrumptious food and the best cocktails. Going on my Rotterdam favourites list now ❤️

My favorite restaurant to eat lunch. Located next to one of Rotterdam's most famous street, yet its hidden! They serve food, coffee and cocktails. Usually when a restaurant offers more than one thing they lose focus and they cant do it all. Not Williams Canteen, man have they achieve excellence in all of them. I usually order the fried chicken sandwich with kimchi, it is simply delicious! Unfortunately they have removed the fried chicken from their menu... Bring back the kimchi fried chicken, we want the kimchi fried chicken!!! Their coffee is soooo good and taste amazing as well however not as amazing as their kind, sweet and attentive staff.

Absolutely wonderful dining experience! They are taking dining in Rotterdam to the next level. The service is impeccable (a rare commodity in the Netherlands), the cocktails are absolutely delicious and perfect and served in high-quality glassware, and most importantly, the food is wonderful. Creative combinations, high-quality and fresh ingredients, and clearly a very talented chef make for such a delicious experience at Williams Canteen.

The entrance to the cafe was a little hard to find, but once you found it you were in a really idyllic cafe. The view of the skyline is beautiful. The cafe and rooftop terrace are urban chic and very inviting. I had an iced matcha latte with vanilla syrup and the “Triple Omega”. My extra requests were accepted in a friendly manner. In general, the service staff were very friendly and attentive. The food was really delicious. There could have been a few small improvements (for example, the egg yolk could have been more runny), but that's complaining on a high level. The prices are reasonable considering the location. The portions are a bit small, but it was perfect for me. I recommend everyone to have brunch there on a city trip to Rotterdam!

Nice food, place is very instagramable, nice decorations, outside terrace is small and warm when sunny. Garden is not accessible. All in all very cute, romantic, and good food. Lift is old and creepy. You have to climb the last stairs from the highest floor reached by the lift to get to the cafe. Small cafe but unique. Difficult to find though

The rooftop garden is beautiful. The food is okay. The fries with parmesan and truffle mayonnaise are very strong in flavour. We asked an extra toast and it was not really good. The service is very bad. When we arrived, it was very disorganised. They asked for my name twice. The reception was not good. We had to get up to order because the waitress did not come to our table. We also had to go to pay the bill. I recommend it for the view, but only if you have a lot of time to wait.

What a great find! Really enjoyed the food, the cozy vibes and the friendly staff! Love that they have chickens roaming around outside… on the rooftop garden! Such a great place to relax, eat and get a good view of the city.

I came in on a Friday morning and ordered an iced decaf with soy milk, only to find out they sell neither decaf nor soy milk. I then tried their well-advertised “barista cacao blend,” which tasted terrible. It felt like I was drinking chemicals - maybe because of the not-so-popular oat milk? Drinking it made me sick; I suppose it had been sitting out for too long. How ironic that I even had to pay extra for the oat milk that made me sick. I ordered my drink to go. Despite their huge “coffee to go” banner, they didn’t have straws in stock. How can a coffee place not have decaf or straws? The staff could use a smile or two. The store looks nice, though. You can see the staff preparing pastries in the back. The “Crash” pastry was good.

I usually really like the coffee and food here. Atmosphere is good, but make sure to order drinks once the barista has arrived otherwise you might get a very mediocre cup of coffee...

Best almond croissant I’ve had! Crispy on the outside, airy and light on the inside and the almond cream is delish! They have other things but I highly recommend you to try their almond croissant.

It's a good place as a bakery, the quality was good, but as a cafe the inside of the cafe itself gives more vibes like a school cafe, a little too exposed, like milk cartons were laying by the wall behind the table, and I had to remind them to bring me my pastry, they forgot even when it was ready on a plate on their desk, and wasn't that crowded.

I’m a tourist here and I’ve spent three mornings in this cafe. The bakery and coffee are excellent.

Ordered a flat white and a granola bowl. The milk was very poorly steamed. For €4 it was not worth it and I will not be returning for another coffee. Constructive tip for the barista. The wand hand been on the surface of the milk. So the milk was very bubbly and not smooth/creamy. Submerge the tip of the wand say an inch into the milk. Make sure the milk is COLD. And practice getting the milk to swirl.

Been back tens of times since my first visit and it feels better than the last. The staff is friendly and remember you and take feedback well. The food items and drinks are amazing. If there was some covered seating options id give this all stars everywhere but I understand. Keep up the good work and see you soon. Everything on the menu is well made, fresh and tasty. The people serving are lovely. The location and absence of proper seating is a mixed bag. In good weather and times it's great to grab n go but when you want to enjoy the amazing food in the moment, it's a miss. I'd definitely be back for more. Even when the croissants are consumed at home after a few hours of travel, they taste amazing and the texture is on point.

Hidden gem in the parking garage of the GHG. Easy to find if you follow the signs (there are many signs). Takeaway only. They do not have tables and chairs. They offer a variety of sweet and savoury croissants. They also have Palmiers and Danishes. The Palmiers was €3, the Pistachio Cruffin was €6 and the other pastries were €5,50. I ordered the Snickers Cruffin. Filled w/ a peanut’y cream. Topped w/ chocolate. It was delish. I also ordered the Danish w/ Lemon Merengue. It was stunning.

One of the best I've ever had... the crunchiest croissant with custard and fresh, tasty strawberries. The warm ham & cheese pain... absolutely incredible. Worth every euro and they're not even that expensive! Their iced lattes are also great. Yeah, it's in a parking garage but upstairs there's the square of the central station where you can sit down and eat some of the most incredible pastries.

I had a croissant and a pain au chocolat, and they were amazing, yes it’s a bit pricey but if you compare with other bakeries the price is just a bit more high but the pastries are way bigger too and the quality is just way above every other places. I love the concept and idea of a tiny hidden place inside a garage. It’s a small business and the staff was so sweet, I also love the fact that you can see them baking.

"Krozant" as one says in Rotterdam! Right next to Rotterdam Central Station, you'll find this hidden bakery spot specializing in pastries. Krozant offers hand rolled croissant, pastries, whether plain, filled, or topped, and sandwiches along with a good cup of coffee. If you have to wait a long time at the station, it's also an ideal place to stop by. From first glance, the size of the pastries look huge. Through the windows, you can watch how they prepare their baked goods in the kitchen. Make sure to come early to get your krozant for the day. A certain amount of goods are baked daily until they run out. You have to order and pick up your pastries through a hatch in one of the windows. Instead of a drive-through, see it as a walk-through! There a few seats available for you to sit and enjoy your foods and drinks. We ordered our goods and I have to say, the service was very fast and friendly. We got the passionfruit cruffin and the pistachio krozant. The passion fruit is absolutely delicious, I loved it so much! The texture of the cruffin is perfect, with a crunchy outside and a soft inside. Furthermore, the passionfruit filling tastes incredible, really refreshing and a generous amount. This was a 10/10 for me! As for the pistachio krozant, the krozant itself tastes amazing, real good flaky texture. However, i’m not a fan of the pistachio filling. It’s too liquidy for me and tastes similar to a custard base. Personally, I would prefer a more thick, authentic and rich pistachio cream. I give this a 6/10 sadly! Overall, I would highly recommend their (plain) krozants and the passionfruit cruffin. I'm definitely coming back to try their other baked goods! It might be a bit confusing as to how to get to this place. Krozant is located in the Groot Handelsgebouw. First, enter the lobby of the Groot Handelsgebouw. Second, take the stairs/lift down. Third, turn left and walk into the parking garage and you will see the place!

Visited Krozant, an edgy hidden gem specializing in coffee and croissants (and pastry), located strategically very close to Rotterdam Centraal station. It's tucked away in the parking lot under Groot Handels Gebouw, making it a literally 'hidden' gem. We tried the Plain Krozant, Strawberry Krozant, Pain Au Chocolat, and Crème Brûlée Danish. Each pastry was impeccably baked, beautifully shaped, with perfect texture and just the right amount of sweetness. The Plain Krozant was delightfully flaky, while the Strawberry Krozant had a fresh, fruity burst. The Pain Au Chocolat was rich and indulgent, and the Crème Brûlée Danish was a creamy, caramelized delight. Absolutely delightful! For drinks, we had Hot Ortado, Iced Latte, and Hot Latte Macchiato. The Hot Ortado had a warm, comforting flavor, the Iced Latte was refreshing and perfectly balanced, and the Hot Latte Macchiato was rich and smooth. The coffee was excellent, making a perfect companion to the pastries. The location is unique with alternative indie music adding to the atmosphere. The ambiance is cozy and inviting, making it a perfect spot to relax and enjoy. Although we missed out on their specialty, the Pistachio Krozant, we will definitely return to try it. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, adding to the overall positive experience. Highly recommended!

A bit confusing how to get there the first time, but very easy when you know the road. Since i come from Den Haag, it's very easy to get there with the train. Great food if you want to indulge in the weekend! The service is always impeccable and the atmosphere is calm and happy. They do have some pillows on which you can sit and enjoy the pastries. I recommend it way more than other places where they just throw sugar in your pastry and you feel that taste.

A wonderful plant-based bakery in the heart of Rotterdam! The coffee is consistently excellent and always comes with Oatly - at no extra charge, which is a big plus for me. I tried both the pistachio cruffin and the pistachio croissant. The cruffin stood out with its more interesting flavor and texture, while the croissant felt a bit ordinary and didn’t really surprise me. Some might be hesitant about the plant-based concept, but trust me - their pastries are just as good (if not better!) than those from more traditional bakeries. Definitely my favorite spot🫶🏻

I love this place. It has amazing pastries with interesting flavor combinations. I tried around 5 positions so far and everything was good! My favorite is matcha passion fruit danish. The baristas are extremely kind and positive, I always feel welcomed here. The space feels very cozy and peaceful, especially on the sunny days. I can also recommend it as a study/work spot. The only downside in that regard is that there’s only 2 sockets, meaning there’s only one corner where you can comfortably charge your gadgets. The price is indeed a bit higher than some other places (1-2 euros plus for a coffee+pastry bill), but the difference isn’t significant and imo worth it.

This place offers really delicious coffee and pastries. They have many pistachio filled desserts which is what I love. They have few seats inside as well as outside. It is not a working friendly place as the tables are rather small. It is great to come for a coffee and small chat.

The pastries at Crave are out of this world! From the rosemary stick to the Kimcheez roll and From the croissants to the red velvet cake... amongst the best plantbased pastries in the entire country. And great coffee too!

The location and the interior was good very aesthetic, but the pistachio rol that I got was very hard and dry I didn’t like the taste of the pistachio cream either. The cappuccino was a bit bitter to my taste. Their other goods seemed very tasty

First of all, the staff is really friendly! I love the atmosphere here, and the sweets are so delicious that I crave them even while I’m eating them. There are so many options to choose from, I’ve tried most of them, but now I always go back to my favorites 😍❤️

The raspberry roll with cream and chocolate cookie inside was such a highlight and absolutely delicious and I’d highly recommend it! The staff were also super friendly and other pastries we ordered were also really tasty. My only comment would be as a frequent matcha drinker that the Matcha latte I ordered tasted a bit watered down which was a bit unfortunate… It could be argued that it was diluted because I had a iced latte and maybe I drank it after waiting too long but that was not the case. After the visit I went back to look at other reviews and it seems that it is a common experience for others too that the Matcha tasted very watered down 😕 It is also worth mentioning that while the pastries did taste good they are a bit on the more expensive side but worth it as a little sweet treat😚 Another thing that I also noticed was that there are glasses and jugs of water for the guests but when I went to grab some water for my friend and I almost all the glasses were dirty…

Getting a decent coffee in the Netherlands is a challenge (‘dark roast’ is often confused with ‘burnt’), but Bakkit is a pleasant exception. The coffee still had some of the caramel/chocolaty taste dark roasts should have (if the beans are good) and it was quite strong. I had one pastry — the pecan tart —which was also good. The cafeteria seems to be operated in 2 locations proximate to each other (at both ends of the street). One is a pastry shop, while the other has more savory options. Be aware that this cafe doesn’t have WiFi!

In general its an okay place but a bit pricey. I ordered the pistachio roll, carrot cake and the blueberry matcha. The drink tasted nice but the matcha flavour was barely there (it's visible on the picture how light the green color is) I could only taste the blueberry milky flavour without the matcha, it was overpriced and underwhelming. The deserts were good but the pistachio roll was a bit too sweet for me. The carrot cake sticked out for me since it was pretty good but for the price i would preferred it bigger. The service was good and friendly so that would be the good point.

I ordered 3 of the Dubai Pistachio waffle and 1 with vanilla soft serve. I have to say the presentation of it was 10/10. The service on the other hand could be better I was not given a carrier bag to put the 4 desserts in and was not given napkins or utensils. I am a local neighbor. And this looks bad.

Delicious and (very) filling brunch in a cute modern setting. The avocado and egg brioche was very nice but I felt could be improved with some more seasoning and perhaps cooking the eggs a bit less, however the sweet potato fries and the mushrooms were just excellent ! It was a lovely surprise as well to find out that you can get a refill on the filter coffee, and from the few sips that I tried, the homemade iced tea was great too. Very curious to come back and try some other things from the menu !

I can’t say that the food left a memorable taste on my palate. I had a brioche sandwich with grilled eggplant, fresh greens, miso sauce, and cucumber, seasoned with b&w sesame. The main operator eggplant was not marinated/soaked to release its bitter juice so it got a low point from me. But the ambiance, well-attentive service team and even the Sunday jogging tribe gathering at the doorstep has elavated the experience to the next level.

Lovely place close to the weekly Farmer's Market. It can get a bit busy, but that's for good reason. Food is really good! Yeah, it can be a tad underseasoned, but there's salt and pepper at the table. And it's nice you get to chose how many eggs you want on your soft and very delicious brioche!

One of my favourite brunch spots in Rotterdam for already 5 years, but unfortunately I need to say that the portion sizes got smaller to a point that it is funny. Acai bowl decreased probably 3x in size, serving barely 1/4 of a banana. Otherwise matcha is great!

Wolly is a nice place for brunch, especially on a warm summer day when their terrace is just perfect. The food was fine, although a bit on the expensive side. The only downside was that it got quite busy, which seemed to overwhelm the kitchen, resulting in a longer wait time. However, the friendly and attentive staff made up for it, ensuring we still had a great time. Coffee was great!

And the staff couldn’t be more friendly, offering advice and making you try the different products. I love coming here and recommending it to all my friends.

I love Kaaspaleis! Randomly stopped in here for lunch while in the neighborhood and was delighted by the quality of the meats and cheeses! I went back the next day for lunch again because the sandwiches were so good. The staff was also extremely helpful and friendly, giving suggestions for good combinations. Would highly recommend!

The produce that is sold in the store is great and in abundant variety. The staff, however, was rather unprofessional and did not provide a good service nor a feeling of being welcome at the store. There is no menu for sandwiches, so you can make your own. But for a person who does not speak Dutch it's very difficult to make a choice given that the names if salads etc are in Dutch. You also don't see and thus dont know if there are any greens to add to your sandwich. I asked for help few times hoping for some explaination or a friendly suggestion, but I only received short answers and a "what do you want" at the end. Non of the three ladies even tried to help and I was one of only two customers in the store :/ I felt extremely unwelcome and got very anxious from all personnel just staring at me struggling to make a choice. I highly recommend for the owners of the store to develop a menu for non-dutch speakers like myself and educate the staff on some basic customer service.

Great people baking delicious bread. I regularly stop by in the morning before work for my morning dosis of zen. I usually order a coffee and a croissant (which are amazing) and sit down for a moment talking to the owners and staff or reading a book. I hope to continue this nice ritual in the years to come :) Highly recommend sitting in the sun.

Perfect neighborhood bakery. Their baked goods are fantastic, everything from pastries to bread is delicious. The space has a communal table seating for maybe 12 people so you're very much encouraged to hang out with your neighbors. They also serve delicious batch brew coffee or tea. Also people there are very friendly. For us the location is inconvenient but it's very much worth the detour.

This is one of the best bakeries in Rotterdam. It is so good I don’t even mind biking 20 minutes to get there. My favorite is the cinnamon bun and their buurtbrood. The food is 10/10 What I enjoy the most is the art exhibitions in the bakery. While enjoying a nice focaccia, you can see the art of a local artist presented in the bakery. Every 2-3 months they present a different artist and you can even buy the artworks on the spot. And they are very affordable. Do yourself a favor and try the different types of bread and croissants they have, what a feast!

Aap Noot Brood is fantastic! Their sourdough is perfectly baked, and every pastry tastes homemade and fresh. The cozy atmosphere and super friendly staff make every visit a treat. If you’re in Rotterdam, don’t miss it!

Amazing bakery! Every week I come 2-3 times, very friendly owners and lovely vibes. The potato focaccia and the almond croissant are the best :)

At Das Broot you can find the best croissant in Rotterdam. They are not cheap, especially the almond one, but they are worth it.

If you are like me and love that type of sourdough bread that is substantial and wholesome, while at the same time airy and moist, with a gorgeous crust: this is the place to go. Trust me. Luckily there are more and more bakeries making this type of bread nowadays, but this tiny bakery has remained by far my favourite in Rotterdam.

I've finally found tasty bread in the Netherlands! Took the one which you can use as per one of reviews below to 'use to build a house' and it was delicious. Croissants were the best I've ever ate. Would have put an extra star for 'sarky comments' but we're limited to 5 stars only. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
