Park
Nature & Parks
Het Park, established in 1852, is a picturesque English landscape-style park featuring a mini-golf course, benches, and a BBQ area. It offers an ideal setting for leisurely strolls or guided bicycle tours to explore the city's attractions such as the Cube Buildings, Old Harbour walkway, Maritime Museum's floating section, Walk of Fame with hand and footprints of notable personalities, Erasmus Bridge, and Euromast.
If you’re looking for a chill spot in Rotterdam, Het Park is a total must-visit. It’s like a green escape right in the city – spacious, full of old trees, little ponds, and a super relaxed vibe. Perfect for a picnic, laying in the grass, or just strolling around with a coffee in hand. Bonus? It’s right next to the Euromast, so if you want to mix nature with a killer view, you’re in the right place. And if you’re into good food, there’s a restaurant in the park called Parqiet – great vibes, solid brunch, and good coffee.

My and dog love this park ! We walk three times a week; the park is perfect for playing with the dogs. The park is well-maintained and clean. It's a great place for a picnic or just relaxing under a tree.
LEONARDO B — Google review
The best park in Rotterdam, immaculate atmosphere and very beautiful views. Perfect for a date or a picnic with friends. I highly recommend that you try parquiet if you end up visiting :)
Joshua H — Google review
A must if you are in the city, specially in the weekends. A couple of weeks ago we got to see a free classic music concert (with opera). The space is surrounded by enormous trees and spaces to lay and enjoy a good time.
Juan T — Google review
This park is beautiful and all, but the one thing I appreciate the most is the availability of public toilets which I thought was more difficult to find in the country than women who appreciate my sense of humour.
Kit T — Google review
The park is Rotterdam’s oldest and most iconic city park, designed in 1852 by Jan David Zocher and Louis Paul Zocher. Its English-style landscaping blends historic monuments with views of the modern Euromast, creating a mix of 19th-century tradition and contemporary cityscape. The park is home to ponds, ducks, and other wildlife, while also serving as a lively venue for summer festivals, concerts, and open-air markets.

Event venue
Nestled to the east of Rotterdam's city center, Arboretum Trompenburg is a serene botanical garden spanning almost 8 hectares. Visitors can immerse themselves in a world of vibrant flowers, shady trees, and fragrant medicinal plants. The meticulously curated gardens showcase an impressive collection of trees, shrubs, perennial plants, and bulbs. Greenhouses offer further exploration into rare plant species from around the globe.
A beautiful garden to visit. We went there in the Spring and there were so many trees and plants in bloom. Very peaceful, beautifully set out and cared for, with a huge variety of trees, and plants from around the world, including a cactus greenhouse. The garden also houses a shop/cafe at the entrance and a restaurant at the opposite end of the gardens where you can enjoy lunch. Well worth a visit!
Bernadette F — Google review
Arboretum Trompenburg is a beautiful garden and flower museum that I really enjoyed visiting. The entrance is free, and you can go in through the little flower shop near the front. I spent a couple of peaceful hours walking around, enjoying the variety of trees, flowers, and birds. There are small bridges over canals that add a lot of charm to the place and make the views even more special. There’s also free parking available, which makes visiting even more convenient. In one part of the garden, there’s a large bird enclosure with finches, Chinese doves, quails, and a few other small birds. It’s lovely to see them, although if you care about animals being free, it might feel a bit sad to see them inside a cage. Overall, it was a great experience, and I’d definitely recommend it to anyone who enjoys nature and peaceful walks.
Maysam Y — Google review
Really cute experience with a variety of flowers. We enjoyed just walking around and experiencing the atmosphere. A cat even greeted us, which made our day. It's kinda unnecessary that they have a bird cage, though. The man that sold us the tickets was really cute. Super passionate and kind.
Jaron M — Google review
Besutiful and well maintained botanical garden. Highlights: Cactus green houses with countless magical and listeriosis succulents; Surprising bird aviaries with zebra finches and quails; HUGH poplars; Food garden; Lawn like duckweed on the channels. Don’t miss the museum’s shop.
Nomi R — Google review
What a wonderful cute place! From the entrance with a friendly staff up until the restaurant that was so cozy and child friendly! I simply loved it! This is definitely a place I want to come back. Its a hidden gem in Rotterdam. Everything is neat and well preserved. God bless you guys!
Julie C — Google review
A peaceful garden to breathe cleaner air in between the jam of city. Some part of the park is quite old, whereas the rest is replanted after being destructed during WW2. A map is given at the entrance so that you can orient yourself. Mini hint: The arboretum is smaller than you think when you have a look at the map. A brilliant escape point for everyone.
Uğur I — Google review
The flowers were so beautiful when I visited this summer. The garden was peaceful and well-maintained. I want to go back in another season to see how it looks.
Nim H — Google review
Nice and beautiful garden with vast collection of domestic and international plants. Disclaimer: I visited in late June 2025, 10 am to 5 pm. I can spend hours here. It has WC and decent small restaurant to quench your thirst after a long nice walk among the bushes and under the fir or through the weeping willow surrounding the ponds. Remember to ask for an access card to enter a separate secluded garden accross the back entrance. Here you will be spoiled by the enormous variety of edible plants, from roots to petals and fruits. But, you are not allowed to pick them ya. When you finish, please stop by the gift shop. Here you can purchase few things that you have seen in the garden; gardening equipments and alike. If you happen to live in the area of Rotterdam, you can join the social worker group maintaining the garden. The schedule is usually on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays through all seasons. Please like my review if you find it helpful. Thank you.

Discover the captivating Vroesenpark, a stunning blend of nature and urban design nestled in the heart of the city. Stroll along shaded paths, admire landscaped gardens adorned with fountains and statues, and relax in cozy pavilions. This vibrant park is perfect for picnics, barbecues, and leisurely gatherings with friends. In summer, it comes alive with food truck festivals and events like Duizel in het Park.
Amazing park on the outskirts of rotterdam with a brilliant little cafe that serves good food and even better coffee! We visited this park every day on our Holiday with our dog. Lots of little ponds and tidy paths! We'll visit again next time we're back!

Nice playground area for kids. The park is spacious and offers a pleasant atmosphere with ample shade. Whether you're planning a family gathering or a casual cookout with friends.

Spacious public parc for anyone, there's special place for a weekend barbeque and you can even organise your special events here. There's also special places for animal lovers to walk and play. 10/10 for the cleanness.

Rotterdam has many city parks and this is one of the most beautiful parks in the city, and in fact right in the middle of the city at Blijdorp, close to Rotterdam Centraal. It's lovely for a stroll, to exercise, bike, enjoy refreshments..... Highly recommended when you are in Rotterdam, or live here.

Beautiful park! Very clean and we'll looked after! Great playground for children of multiple ages. Good area for exercising. Cafe with great food and drink selection! Large field with lots of areas to sit and relax with friends or play sport. Many walking paths through the park and forest. Great for a walk with your dog or friend.

Park
Museumpark in Rotterdam is a picturesque park filled with trees, sculptures, and a rose garden. It houses several museums showcasing art, architecture, and natural history. The Kunsthal features contemporary exhibitions and unique architectural designs by Rem Koolhaas. The Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen's pioneering Depot offers public access to classical paintings and ceramics. Additionally, the park hosts the Het Nieuwe Instituut's fashion and design exhibits as well as a fascinating Natural History Museum.
I literally "got lost" in Museumpark. It's quite a big park where you can walk, walk, walk and walk a little bit more. Even though it was cloudy I love the views. I hope I can return on a sunny day on my next adventure.
Deysi R — Google review
Sure it's a nice park and all, but my colleague told me that maybe it's not as nice (or safe) at night. I didn't have time to test his ridiculous theories, but maybe he's got a point. Pretty during the day tho, I gotta say.
Kit T — Google review
The park is a cultural district and green space in Rotterdam, home to several of the city’s major museums. Created during the redevelopment of the city center in the late 20th century, it transformed a once war-damaged area into a hub for art, culture, and relaxation. Today it serves both as an urban park and as an outdoor exhibition space, providing a peaceful retreat in the heart of the city.
Seokjin H — Google review
✨Museumpark is the perfect spot to unwind!! 💫Surrounded by beautiful greenery and iconic buildings, it's ideal for a relaxing stroll or picnic. Grab a coffee and sit back – it's a great place to recharge.
POOJA S — Google review
Museumpark successfully links the Natuur Museum with the Depot Museum to provide a relaxing afternoon adventure. The park itself is quite formal and offers paved trails in addition to cycling paths. It is a short walk from Centraal Station. There are a group of vagrants that hang out overnight at the Depot end, otherwise a very safe place to visit.

(Translated by Google) Not a bad idea, rabbits and birds are there as always, but the park closes in the evening, at about 10 p.m. We have not seen information about this anywhere. We fell into a trap in the evening with my disabled friend. He walks slowly. The park is long, while we were walking, the gates were closed. We were very surprised and decided to return, but the doors through which we entered were also already closed. We are trapped. I had to call the police.

Euromast is a must-visit TV tower in Rotterdam, offering breathtaking 360-degree views of the city. It features dining options and two luxurious suites, as well as thrilling activities like abseiling and a zipline. The tour around Euromast includes exploring various residential typologies, IT and media compounds, educational facilities, and sustainable projects such as the SAWA housing tower.
Great tour! It was so much fun and very entertaining, and you discover even more of Rotterdam's beauty! I would definitely recommend doing everything, including the scoop at the end (if you're not afraid of heights, of course). I highly recommend this attraction.
Debson D — Google review
A must! Incredible views. We went up just before sunset and then after sunset, we had a drink and A DELICIOUS AND GENEROUS portion of their fries with truffle mayo and parmesan, so worth it. After that we went back out to experience the views of the lights. It's like 3 experiences in 1. Highly recommend it to locals and tourists.
Magriet J — Google review
Absolutely stunning views and great hospitality. The restaurant, which is accessible by a high-speed lift up overlooks the spectacular scenery of Rotterdam. Food was delicious and service was really friendly. Highly recommended for a visit if you're in Rotterdam.
Victor T — Google review
The waiter was pretty rude! One of the waitresses got us a table with a nice view but that was all of the good experience. We waited 20 minutes to order and when the waiter came he told us that table has a reservation and we had to move to another one so we left the restaurant.
Gosha R — Google review
A moment suspended between sky and earth. The Euromast restaurant offers a culinary experience as memorable as the view that accompanies it. Each dish reflects a refined balance of flavors and a meticulous presentation, enhanced by discreet and attentive service. The panorama over Rotterdam, especially at sunset, lends the whole experience an atmosphere that is both intimate and spectacular. An exceptional address perfect for celebrating a special occasion or simply savoring the Dutch art of living with elegance.
Aimen — Google review
We saw Euromast from the outside. I think the entrance fee is too much. We didn't go up the tower. But it gives a different atmosphere to the city. The park right next to it is very well organized. There is a nice walking area.
Mehmet Ş — Google review
Was great to br able to see Rotterdam from such a height and there is a small video you watch to show the history of Rotterdam. Would have been better if they had signs to show what you are looking at once you are on the viewing platform. Instead there is a QR code you can scan and then you are supposed to be able to point your camera at things and it will tell you what it was, however it doesn't work well at all. You also have to buy a more expensive ticket to go to the highest point. They also do abseiling down the Euromast which wasn't widely advertised.
Jasmine P — Google review
Great views of Rotterdam, and the extra pay to go up to the top is worth it, but the down side is the wait to get into the Euro scoop, you wait out side is the wind and rain. But the view is worth it. Wrap up warm if you visiting in the winter

What an absolutely wonderful phenomenon: rooftop park above a shopping street (Big Shops) on one side and residential area on the other side. Due to water shortage most of the grass has turned brown but that doesn't spoil the beautiful views. This area is reachable by tram line 23

Dakpark is an incredible modern day over the roof park. There is a whole commercial area beneath it where you can find lots of markets. Coming to the park itself, It is a beautiful park to spend time with family especially in the summer, there is plenty of space to even do bbq. A nice, serene place to take chill out and let the children enjoy. There are some sprinklers too to get your feet wet in the hot weather. Overall, a fantastic and well maintained park.

Park
Lage Bergse Bos, situated between Hillegersberg and Bleiswijk in Rotterdam, is a stunning green area covering approximately 150 hectares. It forms part of the Rottemeren recreation area and offers marked hiking routes through forest trails and paved footpaths. The landscape includes open areas, water features, and wild grazing cattle such as Scottish Highlanders.
Fantastic place for a family visit or solo walk with or without a dog. There is a lovely dog beach and lots of places for the dogs to run free, off the leash. Throughout the forest is a raised wooden walkway to make it easier to get around. 2 different restaurants (perhaps more but I've seen 2 so far). A variety of forestry to enjoy, LOTS of birds, some horses and highland cattle. Highly recommended.
Danniella A — Google review
Beautiful, big and green park. It is perfect for bikers, pedestrians and joggers. Not crowded and quiet which is good for a picnic. You may find the cattle grazing at some regions of the park which is cool. Advice though, it might be smelly at a few locations, just remember that this is due to the cattle. Still very amazing place, and I highly recommend you visit on bike, you can cover more ground.
Prince C — Google review
Lage Bergse Bos is an amazing park to have a long walk with your dog and family and/or friends. There are several places to have picnic if you want to bring some snack along but also restaurants where you can order some food and relax. The Park, also known as Het Park, is a renowned green oasis located near the bustling city center of Rotterdam. Divided into eastern and western parts, it features beautiful English landscape design dating back to 1853. The park offers a tranquil escape with its scenic trails and water features, making it a popular recreational spot for locals and visitors alike. Additionally, The Park is home to several acclaimed restaurants that offer high-quality dining experiences at affordable prices.
A 3 course dinner was included with our booking at Hotel Bilderberg. Prior to our arrival, we received a request from hotel to make a reservation and asked if we had any dietary restrictions. My husband and I had a most enjoyable dining experience. We never saw a menu and were surprised by each course. When each course arrived, our server who was the manager, Robert, explained what we would be eating. We happened to be the only customers in the restaurant besides a group who sat in a different location. Robert explained that usually they don’t have other guests when they have a Group but accommodated us as we had a reservation. The food presentation was great and the meal was delicious . We truly felt like we were dining as it took 2 hours for our dinner. Definitely recommended.

(Translated by Google) Reserved in May for August 3. Confirmation received. Family elsewhere from the country invited for an evening of delicious food in the garden or in the beautiful restaurant. Upon arrival the restaurant appears to be closed. I had already asked twice by email whether it was possible to eat in the garden. No response. So they had 3 options to inform me that the restaurant was closed. We were able to order something from a very simple menu at the bar. What a disappointment. When I also found a "big message" in the toilet, I was done with it! Food itself is fine. We did receive a glass of prosecco as compensation. This was not worthy of The Park! (Original) In mei gereserveerd voor 3 aug. Bevestiging ontvangen.

(Translated by Google) There is room for improvement in terms of attention and detailed service to the customer. If you are with a foreign guest, you automatically have to come with a card in English... but other languages such as German or Spanish or Italian in an international city like Rdam should be a no brainer as far as I'm concerned. Bream was well portioned and tasty. The chorizo croquettes are also delicious. Great cocktail and wine was good too. Price quality is good. (Translated by Google) So bad! We had something to celebrate and wanted to do it at The Park. We've done that a few times, always great. But now we arrived and the door was still closed. Thank God it was dry because after waiting more than fifteen minutes the door was still closed. When we had given up hope, we saw the staff sitting comfortably at the bar. Downright antisocial. Too bad, I often send people to this restaurant, but that is done. Of course we won't go anymore. (Original) Zo slecht!

Outdoor Activities
Rotterdam Zoo, also known as Diergaarde Blijdorp, is a historic zoo established in 1857 and renowned for its successful breeding programs. The zoo features diverse themed areas such as the Asian section with a swamp forest and large aviaries, a Mongolian steppe, a bat cave, and a Chinese garden. Visitors can observe various wildlife including rhinos, lions, tigers, giraffes, gorillas, polar bears, penguins and elephants.
Great Zoo! The zoo was bigger than i expected, to get through it we walked around from 11:00 till 17:00. A big sealife area is present with lots of different types of animals. Then you have themes all around the park with animals there based on where they live in the world, recommended for couples and families!

Main attraction was red panada to which we come to see and actually end up seeing was very cute to see in natural. The other cute anaimal was volpus artic fox. The zoo has many animals and eating facilities and areas for the children to play. I would recommend a visit, perfect for a family day out
Asad Z — Google review
Diergaarde Blijdorp offers a truly remarkable experience for animal lovers and families alike, standing out as an exceptionally clean zoo with a palpable commitment to its inhabitants. From the moment we entered, the well-kept paths and immaculate grounds made for a pleasant day of exploration. Excellent Habitats and Animal Health The overall impression of animal care was overwhelmingly positive. It was clear that the animals are well cared for, appearing healthy, active, and thriving in their environments. The zoo boasts various animals from different continents, ensuring that every corner of the park provides a new discovery. What impressed me most was the thoughtful design of the enclosures; each animal enjoys quite a spacious area with a good environment that seems tailored to its natural needs. This dedication to natural habitats, rather than small cages, is what sets Blijdorp apart. A personal highlight was watching the elephants; the herd was incredibly active, with one elephant being particularly friendly and playful it was a joyous sight to see them interacting so freely and happily. Room for Improvement While the main zoo experience was superb, there were a couple of minor disappointments worth noting. Sadly, the indoor kid area had a noticeable smell of urine. Given the high standards everywhere else in the park, this was quite a letdown and made the time spent there less enjoyable for the adults. It’s definitely an area that needs more frequent attention from the cleaning crew. The second issue was the technical failure of a key souvenir opportunity. We were disappointed to find that the photo machine didn't really work when we tried to use it. We had really hoped to use it as a souvenir of our visit that day, so having it out of order was a small but significant frustration at the end of a long day. Despite these minor organizational hiccups, the sheer quality of the animal habitats and the overall beautiful, clean presentation of the zoo ensures Blijdorp remains a top tier attraction. The focus on animal welfare is undeniable, making it a highly recommended place to visit.

An absolutely amazing experience at Blijdorp Zoo! 🐘 The zoo has so much to offer it’s large in size, beautifully maintained and full of gorgeous animals surrounded by nature. You can easily spend the whole day here with kids or family. I totally recommend visiting here it’s such a wonderful place!
Aswini K — Google review
This is our third visit to the zoo. We really love it! The enclosures for the animals are spacious and the staff seem to really care and they make sure that the animals aren't bored. I didn't take any photos this time of the sea lions or the penguins, but they were very entertaining, as always. The sea lions were in a cuddle/huddle in the outdoor viewing area. They were singing quite loudly, also. It's so fun to watch the penguins swim. The underwater tunnel is a place to sit and dream of being in the water with the animals. We saw an angel fish that was working out, swimming against a current. 😁 We also saw a shark resting on the floor of the glass above is in the tunnel. It's so nice to go here and see bison, which reminds me of the Midwest (USA). While walking past the polar bear exhibit, we thought that we were unlikely to see them, as they were not outside. However, as we were about to leave that area, two emerged from one of their homes, standing on their hind legs and fighting. It was wild! We were happy that we got the chance to see them. My kid loves the gift shop. If there's an unusual stuffed plush animal you are seeking, it is likely they carry it. We always take home a new one with each visit. This visit was a stuffed deer. Highly recommend a visit. Make sure you have energy, because it can be a lot of walking if you want to see all parts of the zoo.

As a family, we like to visit different animal parks wherever we go. This time we went to Rotterdam, and we defenitely were not dissapointed. Altho some places looked empty or not habited, the ones that were looked great. The animal(s) looked good. It made me think of a smaller version of pairi daiza here in Belgium. Off course it’s not comparable, but I think with the right sponsors and whatnot. They could get there at some point :) we would probably go again if we were in Rotterdam, especially with young kids. To me this was so baby/kids friendly!

Eiland van Brienenoord offers a beautiful and peaceful swimming spot a bit outside the city center of Rotterdam. Although it requires a short trip to get there, the journey is well worth it. Unlike some of the more crowded urban swimming areas, this spot is surrounded by lush greenery and feels much more spacious and natural. The water quality is good, and the atmosphere is relaxed, making it an ideal place to unwind and enjoy nature without the hustle and bustle. It’s perfect for those who want to escape the city crowds and spend time in a calmer, more scenic environment. Facilities are basic, so it’s a good idea to bring your own supplies, but the natural beauty more than compensates. Overall, Eiland van Brienenoord is a hidden gem for swimming and relaxing in nature close to Rotterdam, especially when you want to enjoy a quieter, greener setting away from the busy city spots.

Been living here for months and just now discovered it. Great place for a walk and great spot for photos, especially near the Golden hour. there seems to be some kind of project with small gardens and sheds. Also on the summer there are Scottish cattle.

Beautiful nature on an island within a city. The place features free-roaming cows, a children's playground, some benches, little lakes, lots of trees and ample footpaths to explore with your family and/or dog.

One of my favourite places in the city for a walk. Several different paths to follow allowing for a short walk or something a little longer. Great contrast between the water of the river and the woods of the island. The Highland Cattle also add a hint of adventure.

I first came here in 2019 and it started its process to a revamp. Trees where chopped down everywhere and I could tell it could be a nice place but I wasn't at that time. This was still the case in 2020. In 2021 I was not able to get onto the Brienenoord. The bridges were blocked off and the bigger work to make Brienenoord flourish had begun. Today I went to have a look and all accesses were open and alot has been done. The cows where walking around. Grills placed. Many wooden docks and pathways. Newly planted trees and shrubs. The visitors house was open again for coffee/tea takeaway. I'm curious to see how nature will take to the changes and I will return in the summer.

Luchtpark Hofbogen is a unique rooftop park located on the roof of a former train station in Rotterdam. This urban oasis offers trendy restaurants, bars, shops, and offices under its canopy. While it may not compare to skywalks in other global cities, it stands out as a pleasant Dutch concept. Visitors can enjoy the park from sunrise to sunset and explore nearby bars in the area.
Rotterdam's sky garden literally on the roof of an old railway station (Hofplein). I love the concept of an urban rooftop gardens and this one doesn't disappoint. Located right in the middle of the city it has become quite popular with tourists. It can be reached by taking a walk along the Luchtsingel bridge. Highly recommended

I visited many skywalks and skyparks, I like them. Paris, Hong Kong, Berlin, Bangkok and more. This one does not make it to most others but for Dutch concepts it is quite nice. When I was there it was not possible to sit anywhere in the park. Nice as you are really in and on an old train station. Open from sunrise till sunset (google says differently). Bars in the immediate area. Unique in Netherlands End of the walkway is Biergarten :)

Very cool urban gardening project near the train station. It’s near the yellow bridge. The garden is located in an abandoned subway station. There are several benches and water fountains. We hung out there for a while. It’s not that crowded. People come and go but it’s fairly quiet.

Another very much Rotterdam-style place. It's quiet here now, no train will come to this no-more-in-use platform. Only plants, trees and diverse art! Just recently it became available to public 7 days a week from 10 till the last rays of sun.

Fantastic picnic park. A lot of thing to do to keep your kids busy. Adults can have cool time off, sitting under a tree with books, take a walk between animals, water park to play with your kids. Truly a fun day to remember. 10 to 7 is the time. Parking fill quickly. Come prepared. Picnic trolleys are handy. Kids stroller as well. Food restaurants are inside, but bring some along if you don't get a chance to get something quickly or if you are in the middle of the pool. Fries, icecreams, sandwiches and pancakes are available in the restaurants.

Lovely park with lots of fun! The indoor park is not nice at all so it's not suitable for rainy days. Also not suitable for smaller kids. There are benches so you can bring your own picnic. And there are quite a few restrooms for kids and adults. Highly recommend this place!

Marketed as a place where children can play and get wet, that part is true. But the water is really dirty, and almost everything has sand covered on it. Children will enjoy themselves, but to be honest, there are like two swings and a slide there and that's about it. I'd expected at least a lot of rope bridges and other tedious assignments for the entrance fee.
Andrew Y — Google review
Spacious green park. With a running track, basketball, and soccer field(s). As well as a frisbee track. In summer a lot of barbecue parties are held there. Protection from the rain can be obtained under the elevated railway track. On the side of the mosque, you can find the entrance to the Essenburg park (walk a few hundred meters). Much more quiet and with an area where dogs can run free (which is not allowed in the Roel Langerak park)
Alex H — Google review
I'm reviewing this park from the point of view of a disc golf player. I have played several rounds here over the past few months and have grown to really like this course. This 18 hole course contains 3 shared baskets on holes 2 and 12, 4 and 5, and 9 and 10, which could be a problem if the park was crowded with players, but usually it is just crowded with people picnicking on the fairways. I am usually the only person playing disc golf on the park and I have never actually seen another player while at this course. Holes 5 and 7 feature throwing over water, while holes 6, 9, and 10 are close to the water and you could have a wet disc if you turn a shot over a little too far or grip lock. My favorite hole is probably 11 because of the full power drives but also hole 3 and 13 because of the the challenging tunnel shots.

Nestled in the heart of Rotterdam, De Harmonie is a culinary haven that beautifully captures the essence of the city’s vibrant food scene. Renowned for its exquisite dishes, particularly the delectable goose and duck liver paired with Granny Smith apples and gingerbread, this restaurant also offers delightful alternatives like steak tartare. For those seeking an immersive dining experience, you can indulge in a chef's menu featuring three to seven courses.
absolutely delectable dishes, impeccable atmosphere and knowledgeable staff. I loved every minute in the restaurant, especially sitting outside on the terrace while the weather is sunny and warm. we took a 3-course menu for lunch and were blown away by the cod. for each dish the presentation and taste were fantastic. thank you!
Darian S — Google review
De Harmonie can be called as a modern restaurant but with less French accents than the expectations. During the 5-course dinner experience, most of waitresses were attentive and knowledgeable. However, most of them gave me a feeling that they are knowledgeable from memorizing/reciting ingredients for course and wine menu - lack of sincere passion for culinary. The highlight of my dinner experience is the presentation. From appetizers to desserts to mint candies, every dish was decorated creatively with colorful ingredients. The first appetizer - raw tuna wrapped in crunchy rice wrap sprinkled with matcha powder - was such an amazing opening. It is easily the best dish out of all courses. The overall dining experience is without a doubt pleasant and enjoyable where we see creative and talented chefs bring different ingredients into one single dish. However, the taste is my biggest critiques towards the 5-course dinner. From my subjective experience, the chefs try to experiment on harmonizing different ingredients but it backfires the overall taste and texture (some ingredients bring very intrusive taste or texture that does not hold the synergy). Hence, looking forwards to ore harmony in the dishes from talented hands :)

I’m not going to say it was cheap, as it is a fine dining restaurant, but the value you get is amazing! The 23-course tasting menu with wine pairing was done really well, everything was prepared great and they were fast with bringing everything out since it took around 4h in total. The mis of flavors and how they went along with the wine was spectaculous! The staff were very friendly, professional, and explained everything in detail.

Superlatives apply to this legendary restaurant: elegant, sophisticated, high-end luxury dining but in my view more importantly, scrumptious food beautifully executed and presented, the best personnel I've come across in a long time and perfect location at one of the most beautiful areas of the city. What a memorable evening hopefully to be repeated soon. Please note that reservation for any evening of the week is absolutely necessary and they take the reservation very seriously as there's a waiting list on the day. Highly recommended!

Nestled in the vibrant Kralingen district of Rotterdam, Calaboose is a must-visit cocktail bar that uniquely blends the art of mixology with delectable Indonesian cuisine. Since its inception in 2019, this charming venue has become a staple on Oudedijk, thanks to the collaboration between two local culinary stars: Sate-Man and Dr.
The service was excellent, the staff were really friendly and service minded. Checking frequently if you needed anything, if everything was OK, each one were very sweet. The food was also great, fresh ans delicious. Definitely going back and recommend.
N.K.R — Google review
Had high hopes before coming here. Sadly, it did not live up to the expectations. Of course, taste differs. The food looks good. The taste is just ok. Indonesian with a twist. The chicken satay was good. The cocktails were good as well. The other dishes were not that great. Shared dining concept, so small amounts on the plates. It's a nice concept, but it was quite expensive for the amount that you're getting (and the quality). Staff is friendly, but wasn't that fast. Might be because they may be understaffed, perhaps.
Mr., V — Google review
Great indonesian go-to dishes and killer cocktails. The indo-fried chicken was my favorite dish. The Rhubarbarino my favorite cocktail. But wanna try them all ofcourse! Quirky yet fun staff and a lovely atmosphere. Good vibes only ❤️ Will come back.
Leon G — Google review
Such a nice place in this off-beat area of the city. Service, cocktails and snacks are very enjoyable as well as the relaxed outdoor space they created. I definitely want to go back to try their food menu.
Federica F — Google review
My first experience with the indonesian food and it was way better than I could imagine. We started with Rendang kroketjes and Lemper, so tasty, but the best part is definitely Sate, both pork and chicken. So tender, full of flavour. Cocktails match the food perfectly. The ambiance is cosy and the staff are cheerful and helpful. Unique experience.

Stumbled upon the Calaboose as we were going for a walk by Kralingse Bos, lake and forest nearby. Ordered a tasty vegetarian mixed meal for two people, served with delicious jackfruit and tempeh, along with various greens and rice. Was a truly lovely meal, drinks were great too. Staff were welcoming and friendly, the restaurant was a quirky, charming place with a nice outdoor dining area. Highly recommended!

Super nice bar/restaurant in Kralingen. Their terrace is very nice, the restaurant inside is well decorated and the cocktails and food are delicious. Highly recommend and will visit again

I would give 10 stars if i could! The service was amazing, the waitress were very friendly, learned something new about mezcal and the vibe was just intimate and enjoyable! The food was delicious even glorious! We had 3 rounds of shared dining, the ayam goreng, rendang, and sate ayam were my top 3 favorites! Next time, i would like to try the sate udang yummm!

Historische Tuin Schoonoord is a hidden gem in Rotterdam, located near the Euromast Park. Despite its central location, it offers a quiet oasis with unique plants, bee colonies, and charming carp-filled ponds. The garden provides a serene environment with benches to relax and enjoy the historical trees and plants labeled in Dutch. Visitors can escape the city's hustle and bustle to read a book or have a peaceful date surrounded by greenery.
Quite a few people on TikTok highlighted this place as a hidden gem worth walking to and through — it did NOT disappoint. A beautiful, tranquil green space to visit on a date, or to simply enjoy peace & quiet.

The Secret Garden next to the park is such a beautiful hidden spot in Rotterdam — perfect for a peaceful walk or to take some stunning photos. It’s amazing how quickly you forget you’re still so close to the city center; it really feels like stepping into nature. The atmosphere is calm and romantic, making it a great place for a relaxed date or just to unwind and enjoy a quiet moment surrounded by greenery.
Constantinos F — Google review
A delightful, lovely, small garden but with beautiful historical trees and plants which carry name plates in front of them in Dutch. Plenty of benches to have a break and enjoy the serene environment. The garden is easily accessible from the centre of the city. It is very close to Het Park.

A hidden gem in Rotterdam. A quaint little park with benches, a fountain, and a variety of plants (nothing too exotic) awaits in the heart of Rotterdam. It's the perfect place to escape the hustle and bustle of the city and enjoy a moment of serenity—unless a loud helicopter flies overhead. (You're a stone's throw away from the hospital, after all.) There are no food or drink vendors in the park, so bring your own from the conveniently located Albert Heijn just a short walk away. There are bins throughout the park so don't litter! It's absolutely worth your time.

Tranquil little pocket park that's easy to miss. Easy short strolls amid lush vegetation and hidden fountains. Small aviary and beehive as well. Clearly a scenic place with wedding photographs happening during my visit.

It's an ideal place to relax and immerse yourself in nature while exploring the variety of plants and herbs available for purchase.
This amazing herb garden is opposite the flat building where I live but I only discovered it today! They sell all sorts of exceptional and rare herbs and organic products. I'm a consummate anti-vegan/vegetarian carnivore but the oyster mushroom quiche, and bitterballen were exceptionally delicious. I am learning about vegetarianism and organic products slowly!! I can't wait to return to sample other items on the menu. By the way an extra star for the friendliest staff who maintain the garden, kitchen and shop meticulously

Excellent view and great concept for the farm. BUT avoid the restaurant there: The new place after rebranding is not nice. Very cliche trying to appeal to hipsters - fake authentic. Waiters were poor at noticing you. Poached eggs were hard and the waittress tried to convince me that poached eggs are meant to be hard and that I should have asked for them to be runny. Only worthwhile reason to go is the view.

The fish deserved a 0 for taste; it was cooked in the fat for far too long, was very dry, and the breading was almost dark brown. My partner's was similarly similar, with something with broiche and fried meat, also very dry. We don't recommend these two dishes. During the recent heatwave where the temperature reached 42°c, I took cover here from the midday sun. The park is really sweet and centrally located. There is a small play park area and botanic garden. Rather unusually there is a free toilet with a tap for drinking water.

A park in the middle of the city and Chinatown of Rotterdam. The Kruiskade side is often used for festivities but normally a peaceful place to sit down and relax. However when you walk further inside it is absolutely shocking. It's run down, unkempt and unpleasant. The public toilet is gross and filthy. What a great shame! De Tempel estate is a serene and picturesque property located near the Schie. It features a captivating late 19th-century teahouse, offering a unique glimpse into the past, although its current view of the highway detracts from its charm. The estate's monumental scenery provides an ideal setting for leisurely strolls, whether with a furry friend or solo.
Wonderful place, both go through by your own or passed this amazing land on a bike.
Klara D — Google review
A little forest that actually feels not so artificial and has some randomness to it. The noise from the highway is a bit too much though.
Ran H — Google review
Well, it is a nice little garden, but if the goal is to escape the city and the noise, and spend a few hours a bit closer to nature, you will be disappointed. First, it is located right next to the (very busy) motorway. So the place is noisy. Secondly, the park is tiny. It takes 20 minutes to get around, then you either do the same again or go home. On the positive side, it is close to Den Haag and Rotterdam. But then again: both cities have bigger/better parks than this one.
