First time here. Extremely organized, well staffed, amazing options, very fair prices and SO fresh!!!! Met Ed the baker. Awesome guy. What impressed me the most was him cleaning tables outside and went back inside and handed out a few free donuts to young kids who had sat down waiting for their dad who was grabbing lunch. Very Classy!!! I will be back for sure. Keep up the awesome work!!!

First time visiting Sanremo - it can best described as organized chaos. I visited Sunday at lunch hour. The place was packed. As someone who has never visited Sanremo before I didn’t know the process so I got into line where the entrance door was. I learnt listening in from others that the line I was in was only for cold sandwiches. So I moved out of line and more into the shop. There was no line for hot sandwiches so I got a meatball sandwich, chicken parmesan sandwich and a mac and cheese. The lady prepared everything quickly and handed me the food and a paper with what I ordered. Then I was paraded to the cash register/coffee bar ordering area. I paid and gave my name which they told me to go outside and get the drink at the drink window. Since I had some time I went into the dessert line to get a few things. People were everywhere but everything went pretty smoothly and quickly. The prices were very affordable. I got the coffee crema (which everyone had sitting outside). It was very delicious. The meatball sub was basic (no cheese) - just bun, sauce and meatballs. It was alright. The chicken parm was better because it had cheese. The mac and cheese was decent - nothing amazing but still satisfying. The coffee was my favourite part by far. I’d go back to get another plus try different food items. There’s lots to choose from.

Worth the drive. I thought $7.49 for the pistachio crema was overpriced considering the regular felt too small buuuut it's decadent. Worth the trip and worth the price. Pastries are always a hit. I think I preordered doughnuts a few years back. I noticed they were almost sold out by the time I arrived today around 1-2pm. I've yet to try their savory menu. I plan to pick up some deli slices and sandwiches next time.. or food at the hot bar. Great bakery. I recommend giving it a try. Only gave it 4 stars because I felt like the lady at the deli counter ignored me.. but she greeted the two Caucasian men who entered 30 seconds after me. Could be an oversight but just my experience. I still recommend this shop for sure.

There was a big roast of porchetta sitting on the hot table, when I went back an hour later, they were all sliced up & displayed as sandwich form. It was a big sandwich and had a good amount of meat. For the size of sandwich price was resonable. Liked their fresh bread, chew of thick slices of pork, how they use good amount of herbs & spices, loved the spicy heat at the end. Paying $1.25 extra for generous amount of roasted red pepper worth it!

My mom has always loved this bakery but until recently I had never had the opportunity to try it. I finally went in with my husband a few months ago and tried some of their food and everything was absolutely delicious. The staff seemed friendly and the entire bakery was bustling with energy and customers. My husband loves their gelato, doughnuts, pizza and chicken parmesan and I adore the eggplant lasagna, pastas and pizza. I crave this so many times a week but refrain from over indulging. Since we both loved this bakery so much when I decided to plan a surprise 30th birthday party for my husband, I knew I wanted to have Sanremo cater for me. The initial inquiry with Brianna was alright through email and she helped clarify a few things, although I was a bit disappointed as I couldn’t eat at my husband’s party since they only do the vegetarian options on certain days I was a bit bummed out but decided to order the food for all the guests and just got my food from somewhere else for the party. Eliza was a gem when I called multiple times and helped me decide on amounts and made sure I had everything I needed for my event. I ordered around 45 chicken parmesans in red sauce which included buns, 3 full trays of penne rose, 2 full trays of cheese tortellini salad, 5 personal cheese pizzas, 20 garlic breads and a coffee thermos for rent which came with everything needed except non dairy milks! When I arrived to pick up the food, Eliza ensured I had everything I needed and helped load up my vehicle. The guests loved the food so much and everyone took some home as there was plenty of leftovers. The only thing I regret was ordering the garlic bread as it did go hard before guests had the opportunity to eat it but I should have foreseen that. Overall, it was a seamless experience and I want to thank Eliza a million times over for all of her supper throughout my planning process leading up to me dropping the coffee urn off a few days later.

We had a wonderful experience of Cakes at Sanremo. The quality was simply superb throughout our visit. We ordered a strawberry shortcake for my granddaughters, and it was absolutely exquisite - the perfect balance of fresh strawberries, light cake, and cream. You could tell it was made with care and quality ingredients. The bakery clearly takes pride in their craft, and it shows in every bite. This is definitely a place we'll return to for future celebrations. Highly recommended for anyone looking for exceptional cakes and desserts.

Stopped in for lunch and immediately saw why this spot feels like a neighborhood staple. By noon the line for hot food and sandwiches was long but moved quickly, so I started at the bakery and grabbed a few donuts and pastries while waiting. The Mortadella on focaccia was outstanding—airy bread with perfectly balanced flavors. My Pinsa Romana, a rustic flatbread topped with cheese and tomatoes, was light yet satisfying, and the pizza’s pillowy crust and fresh ingredients stood out. Everything tasted as though it had been made that morning. They also have an entire section devoted to fresh loaves and bagels, plus an outdoor order window for coffee and drinks. We tried the iced chai latte and pistachio caffè crema—both excellent. Outdoor seating under the awning made the meal feel relaxed and inviting. Fresh, vibrant, and efficient, this place is one I’d gladly return to—there’s still so much more to try.

I know this bakery has been around for a long time. I've tried and tried to like this bakery but I just cannot recommend it. As far as food presentation is on point. You can see from the photos the zeppole look great however they don't taste the best based on my testing of several other bakeries. The prices at the hot food counter have continued to rise and I now find them unreasonable for what you get. One thing I do like is the Sicilian bread.

This long-establish bakery on St.Clair has been serving locals over 60 years! It’s such a lovely bakery with a great vibe. They’ve got baked goods, sandwiches, daily specials, breads, coffee, and even gelato!

What a vibe! Wish I could post a bonus star for atmosphere. Walking in takes you right out of Toronto. So warm, vibrant, tons of culture. The food varies from deli to cafe to hot foods.

The most delicious cakes! We ordered a 3/4 slab all vanilla cake for a baptism and it was so delicious. Everyone raved about it, happy to have found our new go-to bakery. We’d love a location in the west end where we live but worth the trek.

This place is so excellent it deserves 5 stars all around. So happy I decided to walk in. 1. Great Lattes for less than $5 on most days. 2. SUPER FAST WIFI - 500 Mbps 3. Opens @7:00 AM every day, including Sundays They really spare no expense in delivering the perfect environment for their guests. Now I understand why they’ve been in business 65 years. Their staff seem to be in a pleasant mood too. It’s amazing - didn’t think I would ever find this in Toronto. Great work!!!!!!!!!

Came in for lunch and visited the hot table. The selection is pretty small. The staff serving at the hot foods were efficient but customer service was not found. The girl literally just walked away without acknowledging the line. None of the prices were posted and there is no menu available. Staff had to find their little notes to explain what was in the sandwich display. I appreciate it is an old business and they have returning customers who know the menu but it is not very accommodating for new customers. Food overall feels like food I would get at a Longo’s hot table. The lasagna was very soft and the tomatoes sauce was thin. The sandwich was very basic, decent amount of toppings. The bread was a little hard for my liking. The Italian peppers at the bottom were a good addition. I might return for their veal sandwich. Not sure what the price of that is. It is a surprise every time you get to cash.

Amazing place everything is made from scratch and with love. They have great Christmas gifts from baskets to gift cards and boxed cookies or even their panettone. They have beautifully hand painted traditional marzipan. You can truly see the time it took to paint each fruit with such realism. Definitely a must try!!! The owners are amazing and this place deserves so much more recognition ❤️

I ordered a 5” mocha-flavored cake and had a great experience. I was able to call ahead to request a custom decoration, and they kindly held the cake for me until pickup without providing any card info. The cake was fresh, beautifully made, and tasted absolutely amazing. Highly recommend!

Came here for pastries on Saturday morning. It was busy but tables were still available. Lots of selection for sweet toothers. We got a Pavlova and pistachio tart. The pistachio tart for very green for how little it tasted like pistachios. The Pavlova was veryyyy sweet. It had some lemon curd but not enough to cut the sweetness. Staff was not exceptionally friendly but were not rude. Give it a go but would not go out of my way to be here.

What a delightful spread of goodies. The tiramisu cake was a big hit. First time I’ve ever seen my mother have seconds for a cake. And so reasonably priced for such a beautiful delicious cake. It was gobbled up before I could even take a photo of it.

Wow this place is truly special. Its far from home but worth the drive every time. Usually go for yummy croissants but decided to order mom's retirement cake (sfoglia with strawberries)... was absolutely delicious... felt like i was back in Italy... well done, so fresh and beautiful too.

Absolutely loved our visit to Butter Baker! 💛 I brought my mom to try their new menu, and we were both blown away. I had the Baker’s Breakfast — eggs, crispy potatoes, and toast — all perfectly cooked and super comforting. My mom tried the yuzu chicken and waffles, and let me tell you… those waffles were the best! Gluten-free, buttery, and perfectly crispy — she loved every bite. We also got to try their desserts: the caramel apple butter waffles were warm, cozy, and delicious, plus a slice of their house-baked banana bread that disappeared in seconds. To finish, we had the berry and custard soft serve, which we devoured even though we were full — totally worth it. We also enjoyed drinks — I had an iced matcha latte, and my mom got a hojicha latte. Both were smooth and flavorful. The food, drinks, and cozy vibes make this spot a must-visit. Can’t wait to come back! 🧇🍵🍦

We visited here for a Saturday brunch here and had an amazing time. The moment you enter through the market door, you’re fascinated with all the beautiful handcrafted local goodies. From jewelry, candles, party decorations to home decor and kitchen accessories, they have many cute options. Their café menu includes many great options from brunch menu to desserts and drinks. They have so many unique and creative cakes, waffles and brunch options. We ordered “Grilled Chorizo Croissant Benedict” and “Spicy Chicken Waffle” from brunch menu, “Mango Waffles & Crème” and “Raspberry & Pistachio Cake Slice” from the desserts menu and finally “Mocha” and “Matchamisu Cold Foam” from drinks menu. Everything was fresh and tasty. The spicy chicken waffle was the great combination of Korean fried chicken and waffles. The Grilled Chorizo Croissant Benedict was unique and flavourful. The Raspberry & Pistachio Cake Slice was one of the best cakes I have ever had; perfect level of sweetness. Mocha was beautifully designed and matchamisu was very creative. The staff are very friendly and make sure you have the best experience.

This is one of my favourite brunch spots in the city! Their chicken & waffles is my go to order & we love that we can end our meal off with a sweet treat. Their monthly soft serve is a must but their seasonal waffles with vanilla gelato is great. For fall, we tried the caramel apple butter waffle which was divine. The service is always great!

I first tried the shoft serve over the summer and was immediately obsessed. When I found out they have a cafe and brunch options I had to visit! The waffles are absolutely incredible. I tried both the savoury and sweet options. Perfectly crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Will definitely be back to try more!

Bought one 8” winter berries cake, the cream was so soft and lots of berries. Very nice cake. Their matcha cookie is must try item. The staffs are all friendly and helpful. Love this place.

finally tried some brunch at butter baker, I’ve had their ice cream of the month before but wanted to try the food. we both got waffles - one savoury and one sweet and the waffles themselves were honestly very mid, not too fluffy or soft. the strawberry topping was also nothing special on the sweet ones. I got the honey garlic chicken and waffles and they used a mix of white and dark meat for the kaarage which was good, as well as the flavours of this together. the stand out were the fried potato home fries as a side. they were soo perfectly crispy and seasoned, they hit really well. and the ketchup had a certain tang to it too - would have those again. I also had the mango lassi ice cream flavour in a cup and it was so refreshing and creamy and tasty. a 10/10 on the mango.

I had the strawberry frozen yogurt soft serve. It was a mix of strawberry and vanilla with freeze dried strawberries sprinkled on it. It was absolutely the best soft serve I've ever had in my life. I spent the entire time eating in total shock over how amazing it was. They rotate the flavours monthly. I'm going to go back every month to try whatever the current flavour is. I went back and got June's flavour, Pina colada. Also excellent but not quite as perfect as the strawberry was. July's blueberry and panna cotta was also exceptional. August's Mango Lassi was good as expected but maybe not as strong as the previous month's. I think it might be better to get just the mango instead of the swirl with frozen yogurt. Also the mango falls off very easily, so make sure you eat that right away! The sidewalk outside is covered in mango slices that fell off people's cones. Septembers' passion fruit, orange, guava mixed with vanilla is excellent as expected. Super fresh and fruity tropical taste. This might be one where you skip the mix and get just the fruit flavour. November's apple pie was excellent! I also tried a double chocolate cookie which was good, but nothing exceptional.

I never , NEVER write reviews but in this time I just have to , got the tiramisu original and the strawberry , I really was so exited to tried them I didn’t stop talking about going for weeks and unfortunately I finished so disappointed. The tiramisu in taste is not bad it’s nice as a sweet treat, nothing crazy but for the price of one piece I was expecting to taste an original Italian taste , made 100% with mascarpone cheese, and I KNOW how a good tiramisu taste like , this one taste like mix of cheese and whipped cream and for that you guys can get a better taste from Costco or other bakeries , it feels you paid just for the pretty package. The coffee taste from the lady fingers was kinda light , barely there , and in the strawberry I was expecting more than a swirl of strawberry syrup But it’s just not fair charge your customers a price it doesn’t worth and match what you offer. You guys have everything to make a better product.

At first we were very excited to try this famous tiramisu, but honestly it’s really overrated and felt not worth it too. I tried the pistachio flavour (~$24 w/tax) the size was quite small and the pistachio flavour was not that strong. The mascarpone cream was very light and rich in flavour, just we expected to have a stronger pistachio flavour for this.

I've had their tiramisu ordered in before but this is the first time I've been inside. The tiramisu have always been top notched. So we decided to try their gelato bars and man this was the perfect summer treat. We tried the pistachio and Gianduja bars, the first thing you will notice is that the thick chocolate coating is a high quality chocolate and the gelato itself is creamy and sweet. Everything you would want in a dessert. I will knock a star off as the Tiramisu and Gelato are a bit pricy but you do get a quality product it just might hurt your wallet. Side note: probably one of the prettiest bathrooms I've seen in a business felt like I was an interior designer's showroom. Had to take a picture.

The best ever tiramisu in Toronto!!! They beautifully cake options in both traditional and unique flavours. We ordered Strawberry Tiramisu and it was extremely delicious. It was delivered to our doorstep in a cooler and in a very safe manner. All the flavors are so tempting and irresistible.

However, it is a local business and I'm not sure how much rising costs, inflation and a myriad of other factors influence their pricing. I was going to give a 4/5 but the tiramisu was really good and their service is good too so, eh here's a 5!

We came to Nonna Lia yesterday to grab a treat for our kids. The staff was friendly and patient as we figured out what everyone wanted. In the end we got 3 vegan dark chocolate and 1 raspberry - both so delicious!!! While we explored we noticed their range of beautiful colourful tiramisus. Over hearing others we knew we weren't the only ones struggling to pick a flavour. In the end we got a pistachio tiramisu. It was delightful!

Had the cake delivered and ordered their pistachio flavoured bar both were amazing except the ice cream bar did not stay in tact for the line unfortunately lol great flavour for the tiramisu a tad pricy but you get what you pay for, great quality. Solid 4 🌟

Mouth watering food, great quality, really nice atmosphere. Minus one star for prices missing - only sandwiches have them, otherwise 100% of the baked goods and freezer items have no prices on them. One can ask but it can be awkward and embarrassing when trying to stay within a budget, and also hard to hear over the counter, plus it slows down staff when being asked and trying to make a decision. One should not have to ask in the first place, prices should be listed beside every item, it's standard in every other bakery. Please reconsider this practice.

I love Amico Bakery! No question and I tell others to check it out. I have gone in person many times and I just love love Italian food, bakery and all Italian lol. On one of my work weekends I suggested to a co-worker that we should order sandwiches via UBER Eats and she did. I ordered the Turkey and Crostatina Rasberry. The Turkey sandwich was much anticipated for me because I had big hopes for it. I will say it was loaded with Turkey meat. The first thing I noticed was the sandwich was not cut in half. So, as much as it was loaded it was a hard bite. It was agreed a cut in half would have done it justice. The ingredients are fresh but it was missing something in sauce I think and the bread was not a good option for the sandwich. I didn't like it as much as I had hoped but, as I said when I have attended here in person or bought pastries great experience and nice staff so I can't forget that. The Crostatina Rasberry was wonderful. Unfortunately the delivery did not do it justice so the picture was how I received it but, it was good. Visit Amico it is a good bakery!

Beautiful bakery on Dufferin. Stopped in to grab some sweet treats for Easter weekend. So much variety plus the pizza and sandwiches. Fast, efficient service and very clean. Will definitely be returning.

I went to the New Amico Bakery on Yonge. Hats off to Angel who with short notice was able to get the Baker to not only make one cake but two. What team work! Angels customer service is top notch and the cakes not only looked incredible but were so delicious! My new go to.

Tried the cortado and it was easily one of the best I have had, smooth, bold, and well balanced. Not every café gets it right, but this place nailed it. Can’t wait to come back for it and to explore more of the menu. The mini cannoli was the perfect pairing.

Found this place by accident when stopped nearby to buy paint at Moore Paint store. Glad I did! Enjoyed their sweets - decent quality and excellent value. I would appreciate it if the staff puts more effort into making the customer feel welcome in the store -smile and kind words would not hurt at all. With that said, the service is prompt and efficient. Looking forward to trying their espresso which is highly praised by many reviewers, on Google and elsewhere. Finally - found good quality eclairs for a reasonable price. I wish it happened earlier. Visiting Amico Bakery on a regular basis, once a week, and thus far - not disappointed.

Amico Bakery never disappoints! The cookies were fresh, beautiful, and absolutely delicious. Perfect mix of classic Italian flavors and fun textures. You can taste the love in every bite!

The food was amazing and the service was impeccable. We got there at 11:25 which is 35 minutes before opening and we were like the 15th on the line. By the time we got to the count it was 12:40, it was all worth it. My only recommendation would be a tent or some shadow to for the people waiting outside. I almost fainted as it was very hot. I took my mother in law and she had to go sit on the sidewalk across the street.

This place is very special. Leo and his team care and make everything with love and integrity. The pasta changes daily and you must come early if you don’t want to wait as it’s only a 2-hr window for lunch service between 12 noon-2:00, Wed Thurs and Friday. But check hours and menu of the day first on their Instagram before venturing out. Cash debit and cards accepted (but you will be charged the cc fees). Only sits 10 people, but you can order takeaway. Every time I come it’s out-of-this-world delicious and worth a small wait (come early!!! Before noon recommended). Small retail shop is also open for purchases.

This restaurant has mastered the power of scarcity. Serving for only a couple of hours at lunchtime, with space for ten people inside and a dozen more outside. People will start lining up 45 minutes before opening and with thirty minutes to go the line will extend to far more people than they can accommodate with their first round. But it's worth the inconvenience. The team are wonderfully friendly for a group of people who are clearly harried by the tension between the volume of success they're enjoying and the constraints placed upon them by the space they inhabit. And they're making some of the best pasta I've had in years. I had the tagliatelle al ragu with some extraordinarily fresh asparagus on the side and a small bottle of chilled red wine. In a way that I hadn't enjoyed since actually visiting Italy, it's simple food using high quality ingredients and prepared with care. And it's all the more delicious for it. The tiramisu is also unmissable - don't sleep on dessert.

This amazing place has awesome, truly genuine Italian flavours. The pasta, cook al dente, is made right in front of you. They give all you can eat bread, but there are few things you must know: there is little seating, there is usually a long lineup, and they are only open from 12 pm to 2 pm. With all these, every bite is truly perfect, and worth the wait. Get there before 11:30 am if you want to sit down, but no later than 1300, as you may not be serve (they close at 14:00,sharp, no exceptions). Truly a Michelin guide worthy spot!!

Delicious fresh pasta! I first visited this place two years ago, have been enjoying it ever since. It’s a tiny pasta shop with a long line, so I like to try everything when I come in. Thankfully, they always have a veggie pasta on the menu.

Lining up for an hour in the sun for Famiglia Baldassare's fresh pasta truly is the real Torontonian experience. This is my favorite fresh pasta in Toronto and I always love to try whatever daily pasta they are making that day. I also love their fresh mozzarella ball! Make sure you bring some water and some shade while you wait in line, I saw someone about to faint after being in line for so long.

We have been waiting for this place for a while and glad we could make it down. Showed up at 11am, an hour before opening. By 11:15 there were 7 people ahead of us. Food is top notch. We ordered Ravioli in the butter and reggiano sauce. Ravioli in the Rosso sauce. And the Tagliatelle in the Ragu sauce. We ordered the Fior Di Latte and the tiramisu. We could tell the staff there work with so much passion. Got to chat with one of the workers, asked how I could volunteer my time to learn how to prep. Would love a cook book or class one day. One day. Love the butter and reggiano sauce (in Bianco) was sooo good. Excited to come back and try a different pasta sets.

Bought a caramel cakelet, the icing did not taste like caramel at all, rather it tasted like coffee. The cake itself was not at all good, it wasn’t even as good as a cheap chocolate cake. 18$ down the drain. I emailed them twice, they did not respond, so clearly they don’t care about consumers. Do not buy it if you like caramel, chocolate cake, or good icing.

Two stars for the excellent cakes over the years. ..and I mean years!! First, we can't go downtown to get cakes, then longos stops carrying the one we like... can't find and 3 of them we'd be ohk with. The retail listing shows many places but no one has the ones we want. Plus the last one tasted off due to being frozen. No more preorder pickup. Ughhh Pure craziness!

Used to be the perfect shop for grabbing the perfect cake. Now, after many years, I suddenly can’t get my daughter’s favourite cake, because they’ve decided to focus entirely on corporate sales to companies that can’t even order the cake themselves. Good ol’ executive greed.

Horrible decision to close down their retail location. Really not the same fresh versus frozen/ refrigerated for days in store. Those who are hoping for their signature light and fluffy buttercream icing will be disappointed. One of the worst cases of selling out I have ever seen. Never forget where you came from, retail presence is important and gives legitimacy that"just another brand in a grocery store aisle" can't. I suspect this company will fall out of favour in a few years because no one will know how great the origin was and it has no more story except as commercial bakery.

After over 3 decades of cake buying from Dufflets for all of our occasions, I am saddened and disappointed to have to bid adieu to Dufflet's. It was a slow parting as first the Queen street store was closed and only pick up from Norseman and now even that is shut down as Dufflet's chooses to ignore their loyal customer base and focus entirely on corporate sales. Buying from large chains is unreliable as the cakes we have tried have been not as fresh and they cannot guarantee a pre-ordered cake. It was nice while it lasted. The 5 stars are in honour of the countless cakes we've enjoyed from Dufflets over the years - it's the end of an era. We'd really appreciate it if anyone reading this review could recommend a replacement cake supplier of similar quality.

I've heard a lot of good things about Dufflet cakes, and so I was very excited to give it a try. I bought a mocha cake for a celebration and most of us were disappointed. The inside of the cake was dry. The outside buttercream tasted old and was also semi hard despite having been in room temp for about 1-1.5 hrs. No one finished their slice of cake.

I'm disappointed by the systems put in place for placing and tracking orders here. Last year, I tried to have a cake delivered around this time for somebody's birthday. I received no status of delivery update, even on the expected day. I ended up calling the place in the evening and they said they couldn't deliver the cake because of the ice storm (which was understandable. It would have been nice to be notified before though). The staff on the phone guaranteed me store credit for when I purchased the cake. Fast forward to now. I called the number provided online to place and order, letting them know about the store credit. I sent them an email with my order confirmation. The person on the phone said there was no record that the cake wasn't delivered so they couldn't provide me store credit. All in all I wish there was better communication here because now I have a lack of trust in ordering from here again.

I came here yesterday while visiting Toronto with family. I have been looking for squash blossoms for over a year. When I finally found them at a different restaurant in California, they were poorly prepared but Terroni prepared them perfectly. Nice light crispy batter. My favorite was this grilled calamari salad. Nice and light and you could really taste the seafood. The outdoor patio was the perfect day to be at. Beautiful weather, nice and quiet but the most important thing about this restaurant was the service. The hostess was gracious and inviting and my waitress, Carmen was quite possibly the best waitress I’ve ever had. Making suggestions and since I was dining alone, she made me very comfortable and seemed to know my likings right away. I like it when the waitress checks back with you so you’re not waiting and she did just that-Efficient and I felt like a queen. Thank you, Carmen for making the whole restaurant experience and dining alone, such a perfect & wonderful day with a perfect wonderful meal.!

Terroni is one of those Italian restaurants that delivers on all levels. The wine list is well-curated with plenty of options to pair with your meal, and the patio is a perfect spot to relax and enjoy. The pasta is fresh and flavorful, the cheese selections are rich and authentic, and the calamari is crisp and well-seasoned. On top of the great food, the atmosphere is warm, lively, and inviting making it an excellent place for both casual outings and special occasions

An amazing setting for a very authentic dining experience. We ate as a group in what appeared to be a great hall or ballroom upstairs. There were 4 fireplaces and balconies overhanging our tables. Dark but fascinating decor throughout the building. The menu made everything sound very appealing. We had the lemon calamari, fungi salad, papparadelle and tagliatelle bolognese. The calamari was unremarkable and not distinguishable from pub fare. The funghi assolute, though, was very interesting, with a crisp, meaty feeling balanced by the arugula and balsamic. The papparadelle alla iosa was also very authentic, with a lovely, toothy mouth feel to the perfectly al dente noodles and a homemade, Nonna flavour to the sausage and sauce. The menu describes it as "spicy sauasge" but there was minimal, if any, heat to it. Still quite tasty. Definitely an interesting and authentic Italian option in downtown.

We went to Terroni for a work lunch and wow was the food ever amazing. I will say they have few vegan options, but plenty vegetarian options. I had the butternut squash ravioli which was divine. Often I find Italian restaurants are stingy when it comes to ravioli, but Terroni was quite generous. I loved the bread they brought out at the beginning. Our server was very helpful and kind. The food came out at breakneck speed. I was genuinely shocked. Dessert was also scrumptious. Highly recommend the chocolate torta, though it is a bit pricey for the size. As far as accessibility, there are stairs to get up to the entrances, many people waiting indoors, far distances to walk to tables, and tables were quite close together.

Excellent place for Italian food. Lot of options to chose from. Food was outstanding all mouthwatering items. Don’t forget to try the desserts too tiramisu & home made ice cream. Servers are very professional & has sound knowledge of the menu. They will help you to select the food in case you’re confused. I would highly recommend this place.

If you haven't experienced Terroni yet, make a reservation soon! The grilled calamari is absolutely delicious and a must-try. Their seafood pasta is impressive, as you can see in the picture. And if you're in the mood for something simple, definitely go for their bolognese pasta. If you venture downstairs to the washrooms, be sure to check out the old holding cells in the basement that have been transformed into wine cellars. It's fascinating to see how this place used to be an old courthouse back in the day!

The servers kept trying to take our plates away even it’s obvious that we’re still working on it. The serving assistant didn’t know how to clear/move our appetizer plates to make space for new dishes, so he just stood there and had us move the plates for him. He was also unprofessional in a way that he just took away the round plate that we used to share food, without giving one back to us. We didn’t ask for bills, but they gave the check to us right after we finished the last bite. It’s just 9:10pm! Why are they in a rush? We considered ordering one more pasta or dessert, but we felt like we’re not welcomed. Plus, it’s very loud. The space between tables is so narrow. Don’t go if you want to enjoy a meal. The pasta tasted good though.

Fantastic Neapolitan pizza being spun up here. We were sat right in front of the window that looks into the kitchen so we had a front row seat to all the action. It was great. Went on a Monday so 50% off bottles of wine. They have specials most days of the week. But the pizza is the star of the show. Excellent service as well. Finished with affogato and tiramisu. Chef’s kiss.

Honestly, if you come here for pizza or pasta - supposedly their specialties - you'll leave content. It's not terrible, but not amazing either. A surprising standout dish, though, is their kale salad. It's my favourite in the city. Laced with slivered almonds, there's a satisfying crunch and the delicious dressing brings everything together. Their calamari isn't bad either.

We came to Toronto for my birthday and went to go to a pizza shop around the corner but they were way to busy and we ended up stopping in here. Are server mikey was wonderful! She gave great recommendations and the rice balls and Neapolitan pizza were so good I definitely would come back and recommend! It’s a cute little restaurant with character! All the servers were so nice and checked on the table a good amount of times!

Amazing pizza and great atmosphere! Pizzeria Libretto never disappoints. The pizzas are authentic Neapolitan style — thin crust, perfectly charred, and full of flavour. The ingredients taste fresh and high quality, and the service is always friendly and attentive. It’s a cozy spot with a lively vibe, perfect for a casual dinner or date night. Highly recommend the Margherita and the Diavola. Definitely one of the best pizza places in Toronto!

Decent pizza! I tried the nduja sausage pizza and the rigatoni bolognese. They were both good; I liked the crust on the pizza and the bolognese tastes like every other one. The portion size was decent, the restaurant seemed pretty vegetarian friendly, and the seating near the front had great lighting.

4.5 stars. Decently tasty pizzas, about what you’d expect, but I found it to be slightly too salty for my taste. Food was served relatively quickly. We sat in a booth and seating was comfy and spacious.

I ordered a Neapolitan Margherita Pizza through SkipTheDishes (Order #722261984) at 7:02 PM. The app showed that the order would be ready for pickup at 7:30 PM. I arrived at 7:17 PM and informed the staff about my order. Unfortunately, we were kept waiting until 7:47 PM. The pizza was actually ready at 7:30 PM but was not given to us until much later. By the time we received it, the pizza had become cold. The pizza itself was undercooked and it was disappointing that it wasn’t served hot because of the delay in handing it over.

Met friends for dinner. Recommendations were made for food and was both appreciative and impressed. Every single dish equally as or more so delicious as the next. Atmosphere was electric with incredibly efficient and with the most friendly staff. Chef David Sibio has definitely elevated the food and dishes prepared, both visually pleasing with outstanding flavour. An absolute must and highly recommend.

Food was amazing, we’ve been wanting to try this place for a while now after seeing an online review and we were finally in the area. Server was lovely, everything was fast and delicious. We’re a younger group and they didn’t treat us differently which is nice in that area! Bonus that we ended up sitting next to Vince Vaughn which was crazy cool!

I had a really nice late lunch today. This was my first time visiting Cafe Nervosa. Really enjoyed the service and the lasagna was truly one of the best tasting flavors I've ever had. Melted in my mouth and the presentation was superb. My server Luca was funny and hospitable. The staff here are very warm and friendly. Whenever I'm in the neighborhood and looking for my Italian fix I'm coming here. The other dishes looked amazing as well. Thank you for a fantastic lunch. Amanda

What a wonderful time, the menu is inviting, like you’re eating at your grandmas kitchen. Each dish is beautifully done. Each time I dine here, I always enjoy my meals. The sizes are perfect either to share or maybe 1-2 dishes for person ( I personally had app/main and dessert) I was feeling adventurous/ Was also lucky to have the best seat of the house and also had Luca as my server and he was a delight!

Stayed in the Four Seasons right next to it. After trying several restaurants in the area, this was my favorite. Food and wine list is very good, prices are reasonable and the ambience is incredible. Will come back.

Spend the morning in Yorkville and decided to go in a solo lunch. I’ve had this place on my bucket list and I’m glad I had the time. I walked in. It was busy, but I was greeted very quickly. When I said table for one she was really nice and placed me by the window perfect place to people watch. It was busy, but the waiter came rather quickly very warm and friendly service genuinely made me laugh. My ordered the mushroom pasta and a white sangria. I promise you not even 15 minutes later the food had came to the table. I guess it’s easier when you’re solo dining. The mafalde was delicious. Mushroom versus pasta was very proportionate and the flavours was exactly what I was anticipating. I definitely was full after a few bites, but I was very excited to take it home. I appreciate that I was given the space to enjoy my meal and I didn’t have the feeling of being rushed even though it was a busy Saturday. Thank you so much for a great experience.

For my 28th birthday this year, I went to Trattoria Nervosa after work with two of my best friends. The food was spectacular, and the company was just as wonderful! I had the Risotto Nervosa, and it was the best risotto I've ever eaten! The Chocolate Cake was very rich but quite tasty. 10/10 service and somewhere I'd most definitely recommend and return to. The interior is very old-school and rustic in my opinion which is a beautiful touch to how long this place has been around. They have a versatile menu if wonderful pizza and pasta dishes, with some meat and seafood throughout the menu. I most definitely recommend trying their Risotto Nervosa. I'm a Chef, and I've had Risotto from many different restaurants, but this one took the cake! It was beautifully orchestrated. Bravo!

One of my absolute favorite Italian restaurants—actually, my number one favorite! I’m very picky about Italian food, especially when it comes to tomato sauce, and this place nails it every time. I also love the Mediterranean touches and the fresh fish. I had the Sea Bream, along with shrimp and plenty of other delicious dishes I didn’t even stop to photograph because I was too busy enjoying my meal—typical for me here. Everything was perfect. Five stars across the board!

I highly recommend Sotto Sotto, by far the best pasta I’ve had in Toronto. It truly feels like being in Italy. We tried the Linguine allo scoglio, the seafood was perfectly cooked and the pasta held its texture beautifully. We also had the Cacio e Pepe, which was wonderfully creamy and just perfect. For starter, we ordered the polpette. The meatballs themselves were fine, but the sauce they came with was absolutely spectacular. Andrea, the Italian waiter who looked after us, was attentive, warm, and genuinely made the experience feel special. The rest of the staff, on the other hand, was rather unremarkable. The décor could use a bit of refreshing, but I really appreciated the classic touch of proper tablecloths and cloth napkins We spent about CAD $100 (including taxes, before tip). Overall, it’s absolutely worth it

Staff were so kind, with a special mention to Paulo who we had some great conversations with and he gave us the best recommendations! Ambience was a vibe and felt very authentic. Went to Sotto Sotto and tried three pasta dishes, one fish, and their strawberry tiramisu, everything was amazing. The pastas were rich and fresh, the fish was perfectly cooked, and that tiramisu was the perfect sweet finish. Cozy vibe, great service, and totally worth it for a nice night out🥂

I had an incredible experience at Sotto Sotto in Toronto. We started with the calamari appetizer, which was perfectly cooked and tender. For mains, the braised short rib was rich and flavorful, and the gnocchi in vodka sauce was pillowy soft and absolutely delicious. We finished with their tiramisu, which was the perfect balance of creamy and light. One thing I really appreciate is that their lunch menu is the same as dinner, so you get the full experience no matter what time of day you visit. The service was top notch attentive, friendly, and made the entire meal feel special. Will definitely be back next time we are in Toronto.

Better than anything I had in Rome, literally! Their menu was full of traditional dishes from Rome as well as very protein forward options. The restaurant is in a very nice area of Toronto and attracts a very nice crowd. On my visit, the restaurant got quite packed. My food took quite a bit of time to come out, however, I did not mind as they have a very nice selection. This place is worth the wait. I will be coming back on my future Toronto visits.

The food is obviously excellent in taste and quality. They don’t allow substitutions and o trust the kitchen so I never ask for them to change anything. If you have dietary restrictions you should be wary of this. They also have a strict dress code, so make sure to dress up. It’s the perfect place to celebrate a special day!

The Ritz Carlton is a wonderful hotel and I wanted to share my experience at the restaurant on the 2nd floor Toca. The service was great and I liked the lighting and colours they used I felt like they hit the spot right in the middle where it isn’t too bright and it isn’t too dark. They have a cheese container they size of a walk in closet you can see where all there cheese is kept fresh, as well as cutting stations where you can watch prosciutto be prepped right in front of you. The food was delicious my only critique was the portions felt a little scarce but I must say their bread they brought out before the meal was delicious.

We got the Ribeye and the Salmon - both absolutely delicious. You could taste every ingredient and flavour. The Insalata Mista had a very unique dressing that we loved. Exceptional service and attention to detail! We were well taken care of the whole time and felt very welcomed; thanks Zaki and Grace. Great ambience with chic interior, fresh flowers and a peek into the kitchen.

The best Canadian breakfast I’ve ever had! The pineapple juice tasted incredibly fresh, and the mint tea was served perfectly warm. I can’t believe I’m raving about jam, butter, and toast—but trust me, it was worth every penny. We didn’t even have to wait; we were ushered in right away, and the staff were so courteous. I’m definitely coming back next time for brunch and dinner.

Elegant Dining Experience – A True Toronto Gem TOCA exceeded all my expectations. The four star ratings are credited to the manager Ken. He’s such a sweet heart that we would go back just because of his dedicated services. The waiting time, the food varieties, food quality, and the actress were all disappointing in the beginning. But Ken, a very nice manager who originally came from Singapore offered a true 5 star hotel service! He listened to our feedbacks carefully! He took actions right away to make the customers happier! Ritz Carlton is lucky to have Ken working here! If it’s not him, the rating would be much lower!

We had a booth in view of the kitchen and the restaurant ambiance was calm and very much so enjoyable. I loved every dish I had. The beef tartare was comparable to what I’ve had at Michelin restaurants. The pasta was amazing. I only wish they had sweeter options for cocktails. The service was excellent. This place was amazing. From a person who has been to Italy, this food was amazing. Even though the restaurant was packed, the servers sat us down pretty quickly, and they were very nice. The place was clean, and small, not like those big restaurants you walk into where there are stains on the tablecloths. Clean, efficient and yummy, this place deserves 5/5 stars.

came for dinner with a friend. I really liked the mussels we got for the appetizer. Pasta was not bad but mussels were definitely the highlight of the meal imo. If you're looking for a typical red checkered tabled Italian restaurant, this is it. It gives you the atmosphere of an Italian restaurant that you'd see in the movies and TV shows. There are a few vegetarian options and a gorgeous wood burning pizza oven that you can admire.

Tried this Italian spot recently. The pizza was actually really good—crispy crust, nice flavor, and fresh toppings. The pasta had a decent sauce with good seasoning, but the overall dish could’ve been better—maybe it needed a bit more richness or texture. What really brought the experience down, though, was the service. The server didn’t seem very friendly or attentive, which made the atmosphere a bit uncomfortable. Decent food, but the customer service definitely needs improvement.

Classic Italian fine dining, with some modern twists on the traditional fare. My partner and I celebrated our anniversary here and every option was a delight: the grilled calamari, sous vide octopus, classic bolognese, and the seared rare Ahi Tuna. Our server, Michael, was such a pleasure to have: he was extremely thoughtful and attentive, and having his company was one of the highlights of our experience. He provided one of the best fine dining service experiences we’ve had thus far. As well, the live music was wonderful; jazz renditions of familiar favourites. Would definitely return!

I came during Summerlicious. I liked the appetizer and the dessert. The mains were just okay. Chicken was a bit dry. Service was pretty good. I wasn’t a fan of how close the tables were set next to each other, I could hear the next tables conversations and overall it was pretty loud inside the restaurant.

What an amazing experience, the new location is great. The interior is well built with table seating and booth seating. The carpacio was paper thin with infused garlic just perfect had the nioche with beef cheek. I was overwhelmed. Had a great time with the staff, Jeff the manager was amazing, Trinity the bartender can make any drink from sidecar to manhatten. Great job.

It's a new spot across the street from Roy Thompson Hall (which replaced a previous restaurant at the same location) and close to the Mirvish theaters. Elegant design. Great service. Nice, non-intrusive music plays on the background. We combined the 3-course “Summerlicios” (a summer restaurant festival in Toronto) with the 5-course “Tasting menu”. You get a couple of complimentary slices of focaccia bread with olive oil. Truffled Beef Carpaccio The portion is pretty small (probably due to the pre-fix menu, although some other places often serve standard-sized dishes even with prix fixe)That said, the flavors of capers, pickled veggies, and parmesan make such a wonderful ornament for beef carpaccio. It was lovely. Ahi Tuna Tartare Good pairing of raw tuna and avocado. There is a nice – and too often exploited, - texture contrast between thin crispy sweet potato chip and soft tuna-avocado mix. It was good, but not impressive. Italian Burrata When you mix all the ingredients – tomato, peach, salsa verde, almonds, and burrata, - you get a good combination of crispy, fresh, and creamy textures, but the flavor lacked any distinction: it was neither salty, sour, sweet, nor bitter. Just unmemorable. Grilled Calamari with Roasted Red Pepper Coulis I don't have any particular complaints (though my wife found calamari a bit over-grilled), but I wasn't excited by the dish. It was good, but boring, with emphasis on salty notes from caper berries. Tomato Madeira Braised Beef Cheek The braised beef cheek was tender, but I wasn't able to detect any Madeira flavor. The asparagus was overcooked and bitter. Roasted polenta was a good pair for the beef cheek, but I expected much more and left disappointed. Grilled Branzino Arguably the worst branzino we ate in the past couple of year - bitter from grill with equally unpleasant over-grilled asparagus. Although, I admit the fish wasn’t overcooked or too dry. Pistachio Tiramisu It was not the worst Tiramisu I had, but definitely not the best. Still, the crushed pistachios as well as pistachio-infused mascarpone made the desert above average. Strawberry Panna Cotta Not bad, but nothing special. Conclusion: aside from the good service, our most prevailing feeling during the dinner was gastronomic boredom and sense of failed expectations. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant.

Had a wonderful experience at Blu Ristorante! The atmosphere was elegant yet relaxed with great vibes throughout with their new King street location. The pizza options were absolutely delicious — fresh, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. I also got to try some of their new dessert items, their new pistachio tiramisu was the perfect sweet finish to the meal. Highly recommend for a night out with great food, ambiance and live music!

We kicked things off with the tuna tartare, which sadly tasted like it forgot to RSVP to its own flavor party. Luckily, the red beet risotto came in like a hero — rich, velvety, and the dish that made us lean back and go “ahh, now this is why we came.” Wrapped it up with the strawberry panna cotta, which was cute, but honestly about as exciting as small talk in an elevator. Gorgeous ambiance though — the kind of place you want to be seen at, even if the menu plays hard-to-get.

It has the feel of a small European city cafe or bistro. Enjoy sharing a meal and cheer with your group.

We used to love coming here but recently the experience was not the same and service was poor. Waited nearly an hour for one pizza, and we were told it’s because there was a takeout order of 40 pizzas. I understand restaurants are busy, but this is honestly poor management on their part, customers dining in should be given priority and especially when it’s one pizza. When the pizza came out, the cheese was extremely watery and there was one tiny basil leaf for the entire pizza (photo attached). Very disappointed.

We were in Toronto for the day, and stopped here for dinner, based on wanting to have authentic wood-fired pizza. This restaurant exceeded our expectations. The bruschetta appetizer is served on a baked pizza crust instead of bread, and it was as delicious as it sounds. We also had an order of arancini, which were respectable. The highlight of the meal, however, were the pizzas, which were absolutely fantastic! We kept it simple, ordering the Margherita and cappriciossa pizzas. They were cooked properly, and were allowed to rest (and cool) slightly after coming out of the oven, so that the fresh basil was nice and vibrant on our pizzas, and not wilted like happens often at other pizza restaurants. This also meant that we could dig in right away, without worrying about burning our mouths on a super-hot pizza. The sauce on the pizzas was a simple, elegant tomato sauce, that tasted like tomato. It was simply seasoned, without a bunch of herbs or spices to confuse your palate. What we also appreciated was the level of salt in the pizza, which was very well-balanced, and dialled-in to perfection, so that the flavours from the pizza are front and center, without being masked behind a wall of salt. This was the highlight of our evening and we look forward to returning. Please note that parking in the area can be a challenge, but for people who know Toronto, you understand that it is like that everywhere in the downtown area.

While the flavour of the dough tasted authentic, the texture was quite tough. The crust was thick and chewy compared to other Italian pizzas I've had. The toppings were quite bland across multiple pizzas my party had. I heard this was some of the best Italian pizza spots, but I found terroni spaccio much better.

Such amazing pizza!!! My partner had ordered the gnocchi. Our server made a mistake and gave him pizza (it was amazing regardless), to apologize for the simple mistake the server brought us the gnocchi as well to let us decide which was better! We decided the pizza was the best. Overall great experience and staff

Joso’s is a seafood lover’s dream with the added bonus of impeccable service, cozy old-school charm, and eye-popping surrealist art. I was here for my birthday two years ago and when my husband and I knew we were coming back to Toronto, this was the first rezzie we made. Paul is the consummate host while Alison and the other servers are so friendly and knowledgeable. As for the food, it doesn’t get better: fresh, flavorful, and proof that simplicity does not mean boring. From the smoked trout appetizer and Joso salad to the pick-your-fish platter (you can’t go wrong with firm + flaky grilled sea bream) and Croation potato salad (boiled with just salt, olive oil and parsley), every gastronomic note is perfection. I’d be remiss not to mention all the boobies on display (think R-rated Dali). But even if you’re uptight, don’t let that stop you from dining here. It’s art, it’s fun, and at the very least a conversation starter. 😄 The energy and volume definitely pick up as the night goes on, but the vibe remains the same: cool and classic. This place is considered a landmark for good reason and we can’t with to come back.

We came to Joso’s for a meaningful family dinner — a formal meeting between our parents ahead of marriage. I had a reservation for 5 people at 5:00 p.m., and three of us (my mother, my partner’s mother, and myself) arrived 5-10 minutes early. A manager-like staff member came out and asked if the full party had arrived. I explained that two more were just minutes away (one parking, one in transit), and instead of a warm welcome, he immediately pointed out that a table upstairs had a 7:15 reservation and asked whether we wanted it. That already made us feel rushed before we’d even been seated. Another group of customers had also arrived early and were waiting nearby. The manager led them inside first but didn’t clearly acknowledge or invite us to follow. I thought I heard him say “come in,” so I followed behind. Once upstairs, he seated the other group and started talking to them. When he turned around and saw me, he seemed surprised and said, “Oh, you came up too!” — which felt awkward and dismissive. He again asked how long we thought we’d be staying — reiterating the earlier pressure around the 7:15 reservation. I replied that I didn’t want to feel rushed and would prefer the other available table instead. He said “That’s fine — you can stay here all you want and keep spending money.” That comment struck me as unnecessarily transactional and impersonal, especially for a fine dining experience. At one point, I briefly placed a water bottle on the table, and a server came over immediately and said, “You can’t have that on the table.” I understood and didn’t mind — but again, the tone felt overly sharp. To be honest, I couldn’t shake the feeling that our table — initially composed of three Asian women — was treated with less warmth or respect than others. Once my partner and his father (also Asian) arrived, the interaction improved slightly, but it was hard not to notice a difference in energy and attentiveness compared to nearby tables. Whether it was due to race, gender, or assumptions based on appearance, the feeling of subtle bias was hard to ignore. For a restaurant known for its history, reputation, and premium pricing, I expected genuine hospitality - not to feel like an inconvenience on such an important night. We left feeling disappointed, not because of the food, but because of how we were made to feel.

Best calamari, well seasoned and thin coating. Trout is just ok. Tiramisu is very moist, highly recommend.

Dined here this past Saturday for my partner’s birthday. Joso’s has been our go-to restaurant in Toronto for celebrations. Sumptuous seafood, excellent suggestions and service, and relaxed setting that isn’t snobby which is typical for most Yorkville establishments. Recommend their squid ink pasta (Alla Siciliana) which frankly is THE best pasta I’ve had in a while in the city and their clam pasta (Alla Marinara). Highly recommend this restaurant which has been around for decades. 11 out of 10!!!

Have been dining at Joso's for years now and each time we come back is better than the last. Love this place for date night or special occasions. The squid ink pasta is to die for, and I've never had a disappointing seafood dish here. The wine selection is also very nice, with a great variety of wines from regions you don't typically see in Toronto. The staff are always very welcoming and accommodating - we love this neighbourhood gem!

Been dining at Joso’s for decades. The t had been years since the last time. And it did not disappoint. The food is as delicious as ever and the place still has the magic that Joso Spralja created a long time ago and his family continued to this day. Shout out to Paul who greeted us as nicely as ever.

Took my cousin to Joso’s for her 18th birthday — a Croatian seafood spot that’s been on my list for years. We started with smoked trout salad (fresh and not too salty) and shared clams, mussels, and shrimp in rich red sauce — perfect for dipping bread. The grilled octopus was smoky and tender, with lemon juice bringing out the flavour, though the thinner parts were a bit bitter. Then came the main event: the pink rockfish. Lightly seasoned with just salt, it was all about the freshness — crispy skin, buttery meat, and lemon on the side if needed. We also got the squid ink pasta and it was a pleasant surprise — my cousin’s pick for best dish of the night. Finished off with tiramisu, and the server even brought it out with a birthday candle — a sweet little touch. Oh, I almost forgot to mention, the Croatian white wine goes really well with the seafood.

From getting seated to ordering quick round of drinks and all the way to wrapping up dinner - the experience was good. Good place for large groups too! The food was tasty, the venue has vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options, the speed of service and attentiveness of the server was on point and the vibe of the place was great for both professional and casual dining!

I’ve been to Moxies a few times, and overall, it’s a decent spot for casual dining with a nice atmosphere. The nachos are surprisingly good—double-layered and super cheesy. I also enjoyed the shrimp tacos, though quality can vary depending on the location. Prices are a bit high for what you get, but it’s great for drinks and appetizers with friends.

The service was excellent and the food was just as good. We were celebrating our anniversary, and they went out of their way to make it feel extra special right down to the thoughtful card and complementary dessert. We were genuinely impressed. Huge thanks to our server, Josh-you really made the night.

Went for a weekday dinner with friends. Moxies is the OG. It always maintains standard and quality.The steak was absolutely delicious. The chicken wraps were not ip to the mark so the server very kindly took them off our bill. Will definitely visit again.

Came here after spending the day at the ROM, but we also had a gift card to use and there isn't a close Moxie where we live. So happy we did! We arrived about 7 mins before Happy Hour ended but the staff made sure we were seated, with a fully freshly cleaned table, and had our orders in, just in time before 459pm and were so pleasant about it, not rushing us or making us wait. The food was fast, fresh and hot and the drinks were refreshing, especially the cold water they provided. Our waitress was courteous and the attentive. Our time here definitely made up for the lack of service at JAs down the street we encountered earlier in the day. Would definitely recommend. We had the Blackened Shrimp Tacos and Truffle Parm Fries. Wasn't a huge fan of the fries but the tacos were delicious.

This location consistently goes above and beyond with their service and food. The food is flavourful and the team works together to create an inclusive and cohesive atmosphere. We love the menu’s variety of choices and appreciate how the staff are attentive and have been able to accommodate dietary restrictions. Shout out to Ryerson, Holly, and Racheln for setting a high standard of excellence.

Moxies is an absolutely great place! We visited as a couple to celebrate St. Valentine’s Day, and it was a wonderful experience. The evening started with a warm welcome from the hostess, who greeted us with a glass of prosecco and a rose for the ladies—a lovely touch that set the tone for the evening. The cozy atmosphere made it perfect for a romantic dinner. We enjoyed a delicious loaded burger and a perfectly cooked steak served with awesome truffle salt on the fries. To top it all off, the white chocolate brownie was simply delightful. Moxit exceeded our expectations in every way. Highly recommended for a special night out!

Nadège Patisserie is a dream! We had a danish and the most incredible lemon tart, both were absolutely delicious. A must-visit for pastry lovers!

The cheesecake tasted really off, almost sour like it was about to go bad. Macarons also tasted old, like they’ve been sitting for days. For more than $40 you’d expect some quality. Wouldn’t even eat this if I got it for free. Used to love this spot. Yikes

The place has maintained very high standards for food. I’ve always loved to drop a visit at Nadége because of their amazing croissants. Surprisingly, today I was told by the hardworking team that the payment policies of Nadége have changed and that they don’t accept cash any further. But as per my request, they did make an exception and I truly appreciated their support. I wish there was a different rating option for staff so I could rate them good. But for the restaurant, I think they’re degrading their customer experience by removing a 100% Legal Tender - Cash in their payment policies. This indirectly shows that they do not value the customers who want to pay through cash instead of debit / credit cards. Some people don’t want the big corporates (Banks) to handle their hardworking money, which is completely fair and sensible. I do also understand that it’s legal for private business owners to make their own payment policies. A big wrong move by Nadége in my opinion. I don’t know what was the idea behind this, but doesn’t seem a good one.

They have the best apple crumble pie I’ve ever had!! There was no wait, service was pretty quick and they warmed up my apple pie. I also got the 6inch pumpkin pie, it was alright but I’ve had better and wouldn’t get it again. They had a really nice patio and plenty of seating, it was very pleasant. I look forward to coming back and trying their other yummy pies!

there are so many choices of pies and treats at wanda’s, but honestly i think the best thing you can get is the pear cheddar grilled cheese — IT WAS PRETTY DARN AMAZING. while the sourdough bread was grilled to a crunchy crispy perfection, the interior was full of warm, melty, gooey, mellow-tasting cheese; a generous amount of wonderfully softened sweet, fruity pear slices; and silky soft caramelized onions. it may not look like an impressive sandwich, but its super comforting and absolutely perfectly for fall. on the other hand, i don’t think wanda’s pies were super lifechanging. they weren’t super fresh, the crust wasn’t very buttery or prominent, and the fillings were just quite sweet and mushy — although it’s not like they were bAD pies. i tried the apple crumble pie, which was full of a strong tart apple flavour; the pumpkin pie, which was like a creamy and light mousse that didn’t have a very strong pumpkin/spice taste like i was expecting??? and the bottom felt a bit underbaked and soggy; the chocolate pecan pie, which was mostly a very syrup-like sweet paste with large chunks of nutty pecan to balance the sugariness; and the carrot cake, which was honestly very disappointing because the frosting was just way too thick and sweet for me. also, they didn’t have ice cream/whipped cream when i went, and my “heated” apple crumble pie was not really warm at all which was sad. there are also a LOT of bees and flies and birds flying if you’re dining in.

Star of the show was the key lime pie. Just delicious! Really fun and eclectic vibe, suits the Kensington area well. Fun to eat pie while people watching out on the patio. There’s a piano inside where a patron was playing a silly little tune. I love places like this.

Cool place to grab a pie and a coffee in Kensington market. Staff are friendly and professional. It can be a bit hectic in the weekends, but the vibes are great. Come here for a good bite and cup of Joe.

Went there to try the World Series, Coconut Cream Pie, that Joe Carter had the morning before he won the baseball series for Toronto. I can see why...the crust was flaky and moist, the cream was light and delicate. The filling of the pie had the perfect sweetness too. Definetly a pie worthy of a championship title. Love Kensington Market atmosphere, with patio sitting in front of bakery. A couple of dine in seats as well. Layout of bakery was good and staff were pleasant. Definetly will be returning to try more of Wanda's pies.

I placed a custom order for a German Chocolate Cake (10”) for $70 + tax, and also picked up two small Coconut Cream Pies and a slice of Mango Cheesecake, spending around $130 in total. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with everything I tried. Since this is a local, artisanal bakery, I was expecting desserts made from scratch using pure ingredients, but that clearly wasn’t the case. The coconut filling on the German Chocolate Cake tasted artificial, more like a sugary, out of box, paste mixed with sweetened shredded coconut and pecans, rather than the traditional cooked filling made with butter, eggs, milk, and coconut. There was no depth of flavor, just a strange, dry, artificial icing-like texture. This was meant to be a 10” cake for a group of 10, but I had 15 people at my event, and as you can see from the photos, almost no one ate it. The Coconut Cream Pies were also very underwhelming, lacking flavour entirely. The Mango Cheesecake was the best of the bunch, but still nothing memorable. Overall, I was disappointed by both the taste and quality of the cakes and pies. Sadly, I wouldn’t recommend anything from this bakery.

We stopped here for a quick bite whilst exploring Kensington Market. I liked the unique character, quirky decor with lots of ornamental displays. The plain cheese sandwich, strata and pie all hit the spot.

Finally got lobster tails! So huge. Totally get why it's been popular for so long. It smells amazing when you walk in. The line moves fast. Got lobster tails and gelato and couple of other things but highly recommend these two also chocolate cake which was divine.

Lamanna’s Bakery was added in our Must Visit list and we finally understand why during our first visit! They have a huge selection of Italian pastries and gelato, freshly made. Please don’t skip or leave without tasting at least their Bomboloni. Their Tiramisu is also good! We’ll definetely be back to try out more. The pizza slices, on the other hand, looks amazing, but the Magherita slice just didn’t make it for us… Unfortunately, the sauce was bland and lacked in favour. However, the pizza slices had the perfect texture and amount of cheese — very generous portions, great to share amongst others. Would probably try a different flavour next time. As a vegetarian option, their vegetarian lasagna is highly recommended… very filling and yet again, generous portions, and great service from the staff to ask us if we wanted extra sauce. I appreciate the different queue lines created for savoury and sweet foods — it’s time efficient instead of having just one line. Although we were able to find a spot, there is little seating available.

I ordered the “Big Slice Chocolate Birthday Cake” and was really excited to try it. When I got the cake, it looked cute and well-presented. Unfortunately, the experience was quite disappointing. The cake was overly dense and extremely sweet — so much so that no one at the party could eat more than a bite. The sweetness was overwhelming and didn’t taste balanced or enjoyable. You could feel the crunch of undissolved sugar between your teeth. It was especially frustrating because this was for a birthday celebration, and we couldn’t enjoy the cake as we had hoped. I had been looking forward to trying other Big Slice items like their pizza and more, but after this experience, I’m not sure I’ll be giving it another try.

This was my first visit to Lamanna's Bakery thanks to a friend's recommendation that we meet there and I loved it! I immediately loved the atmosphere walking in and seeing the different stations for pizza, hot table, baked goods and gelato. I was in Italian heaven! To start I just had a mint tea with a Portuguese custard tart which was fresh and delicious. We sat at the front window area and there was a constant line up for ordering. The staff was all nice who I chatted with. Big thanks to Ashley for happily answering lots of questions I had about the gorgeous looking pizzas! I also loved the beautiful graphic design of their boxes I saw people carrying out. Some were huge and must have had cakes in them! I got a pepperoni slice to go and it was fantastic! Thin crust and so delicious! It tasted like authentic recipe from Italy and want to know specifically where. I am eager to return for more pizza and their hot table for lasagna and meatballs!

Absolutely love Lamanna’s!! Probably one of the best bakeries I have been too. Their pistachio tiramisu is 10/10. All of their pastries are honestly a 10/10! The meat lasagna is amazing but they stopped giving out the focaccia bread with it which was disappointing. Nonetheless, the quality is always amazing. However, be prepared to wait in line for a bit as they are always pretty busy.

My all time favorite bakery ... Most recently tried the pistachio and almond cake. It was beyond delicious, so light and fluffy and not too overly sweet. The tuxedo cake was also a 10\10. Will be back to try more.

Lamanna’s usually requires 24-hour notice for large pizzas, but we were impressed that they accommodated our order with only 30 minutes' notice. The pizzas were delicious, with a perfectly cooked crust – a great testament to their flexibility and culinary skill!

Best chocolates ever!!! We love Soma Chocolates and buy it for Christmas gifts every year! This year we also ordered Soma Chocolate truffles as our wedding favours and they were delicious and the perfect touch to our wedding table tops! Also their in-store hot chocolate and gelato is incredible!

The Vietnamese coffee gelato & Hazelnut gelato was 12/10!!!! 🍦 🙌 one of the best I’ve had, you can tell it was amazing quality, with no fillers and ingredients 👍 🙌🤌

I'm so happy that we discovered Soma after our first visit to Perfect Leather Goods Ltd. Both places are the top in their respective fields. 😊 Soma chocolate is fantastic, rich, intense and refined. The hot chocolate is The Best hot chocolate. The truffles (chocolate) are devine, my favorite is the Gianduia. When i go there i always get and i recommend the Baci di Dama, the Zaletti ( are traditional cookies from Veneto a region in Italy)and the Soma Chips (think crispy cookies with almonds). I love the high quality and care of Soma products.

Soma has hands down the best hot chocolate in town! I love their spicy (Maya) hot chocolate which you would love if you give it a try. Their chocolate boxes are cute, so far I have tried the hot one the orange one ans the starry night (salty) with Newfoundland sea salt which makes it a great souvenir too I believe this branch doesn’t have their ice creams. I should mention that Bicerin is my favourite caffeinated drink from Soma

I had the dark chocolate and roasted white chocolate gelato. They’ve got stiff competition with many other great gelato and ice cream places around town m, and unfortunately, they don’t really stand up. However, it’s still a nice treat. The dark chocolate wasn’t anything notable, but the roasted white chocolate was nice.

There’s absolutely no doubt Soma Chocolatemaker serves the best hot chocolate. Rich, velvety, and perfectly balanced in sweetness, it’s a must-try for any chocolate lover. That said, I was a bit disappointed to receive my drink in a mug that had a visible lipstick stain on the rim. Not what you'd expect from a place with such high standards. I ended up asking for a takeaway cup instead. Tip: If you’re dining in, it might be worth giving your mug a quick check before diving in. The quality of the drink is outstanding, but a little more attention to cleanliness would go a long way in making the experience perfect.

Bobbette & Belle made the most incredible lemon cake for our vow renewal—it was an absolute showstopper. Elegant, beautifully crafted, and hands down the best-tasting cake we've ever had. Our guests are still talking about it! The artistry, attention to detail, and flawless execution made it such a highlight of our celebration. We’re so thankful we chose Bobbette & Belle for such a special occasion. Highly, highly recommend!

We got a cake from here for a birthday party. It was really tasty. The 6" cake was more than enough for our party of 8 people. I think you can get it for up to 10 people. The interior was nice. The staff could have made extra effort to help us choose the cake. They just waited for us to make a decision without explaining what's available or offering help.

What a beautiful patisserie. The brownie was excellent. Moist and not overly sweet. We absolutely loved their sticky toffee pudding. Best we've ever had!

We ordered the Ultimate Chocolate cake for a birthday celebration - after many suggesting this was one of if not the best cake in the city. It was fabulous. Great presentation just like the photos. Beautiful buttercream, rich dark chocolate flavour, 3x layers super moist and fudgey, and the brownies on top were delicious. Don't believe some of the bad reviews, the cake was awesome. Everyone raved about it. Also the maple pecan tarts, next level. We will be back!

We ordered a cake from Bobette & Belle and couldn’t be happier! From start to finish, the service was warm, friendly, and professional. The staff helped us choose the perfect design and flavour, and the final product was absolutely stunning, almost too beautiful to cut! Everyone loved it, the cake was moist, delicious, and a huge hit with all our guests. Thank you to the team at Bobette & Belle for making our celebration so special. We’ll definitely be back!

Placed an order ahead of time for floral-themed buttercream and vanilla cupcakes for an event. We received prompt confirmation of the order and communication was easy. Our order was ready at the agreed upon time and pickup went smoothly. The cupcakes were absolutely beautiful and travelled well - we received lots of compliments on their appearance. That said, the flavour and texture left much to be desired… the cupcake base was incredibly dry and tasted stale (despite us eating them within 2 hours of the pickup time). The buttercream was also very firm and lacked any sweetness, reminding us of refrigerated butter in both flavour and texture. Not sure if this was just an “off batch”, but it was quite disappointing.

My first experience trying the cupcakes was disappointing, but today I went in person to give them a second try and I was impressed. Walking in there is a calm atmosphere, beautiful displays and I appreciated the excellent customer service. The cupcakes were moist and not overly sweet, with really delicious flavour offerings. (Passionfruit; peanut butter and chocolate yummm, were my favourites) nothing like my first experience. I’m happy I came back and would definitely buy again!

Being here many times, always a amazing time. I celebrate a couple of birthdays. Yesterday was a bit different. I had my usual tiramisu dessert. We get up for a second to go to the bathroom when we come back the dessert was gone. It was late time to go home at the time obviously everybody wants to go home tired from my long day at work. I understand that it took a long time for them to come to our table. They offered to bring me a new dessert, but this time after all that waiting , of course I don’t want it. I just wanna go home. I explained that and I also explained that the dessert was taken away when I went to the bathroom and I barely touch it end of the story they end up, charging me for it, and I thought it was unethical especially a expensive place like this , but anyways, I had an amazing time. Food was delicious. Waitress was really sweet. I will go back but next time I will make sure I don’t go to the bathroom. lol

If You Love Great Italian Food, You Need to Try Francobollo. We came hungry and left obsessed. Our table ordered a bit of everything - grilled calamari, polenta stack, Caesar salad, garlic-lemon shrimp, rigatoni alla vodka, pappardelle bolognese, pan-roasted potato gnocchi, both the veal and chicken parmigiana, and multiple slices of the Nutella cake to finish it off. Every dish hit. The gnocchi was a personal favourite - golden, pillowy, and drenched in a decadent truffle-garlic cream. The pastas were rich and well balanced, and the parmigiana dishes were perfectly cooked - juicy and flavorful without the dryness that often ruins parm plates at other Italian spots in the city. ALSO, shoutout to the portions. Usually I leave restaurants wanting more but I literally couldn’t finish my main and forced desert (disappointed because it was incredible and I wanted to finish but really says something about the portions here). Service was top-tier - our server never let a water glass sit empty, and they welcomed us warmly even though we arrived near closing. The ambiance was relaxed but polished, with great music at the perfect volume. Parking was also a breeze, which was a nice bonus. If you’re a fan of Italian food, run, don’t walk. Already planning my next visit.

Thank you to the Chef and team in the kitchen that prepared our spectacular pieces of art that was our meal. Everything had such perfect little touches from the pan-fried Gnocci to my Chicken Parm. True masterpieces!

Good restaurant within the mid-Toronto area, easy in-out commute for those in the city as well as the suburbs. The menu is never standard. The Chefs keep changing the menu based on availability and season. Servers provided their daily specials along with the staple menu options. Quality of food and the time it took to get to our table was very reasonable for this style of a restaurant. Quantity and courses are justified at this pricepoint.

My Sweetheart booked a birthday dinner here for me tonight. Incredible Bruschetta,, a tasty salad and mains. Wonderful dessert! The service was impeccable with friendliness and sincerity. Well presented and truly memorable. Highly recommended!

Absolutely great experience. Every single dish we had was well presented and very tasty. The rack of lamb I had was arguably the best rack of lamb I can remember ever having (and rack of lamb is one of my favourites which I'm getting at many places we go to - so I had quite a few over the years). Also one of my daughters had the gnocchi which were like no other gnocchi we had, while my wife had the lemon veal scallopini and the other daughter the lobster pasta - also great. The appetizers and desserts were very good as well. Service was very attentive. Taking our coats and cleaning the table between meal items were a very nice touch. Even though a bit on the expensive side - at least I feel this is one of the places that justify the price. Will definitely come back!

Sugo is one of those rare places that truly captures the essence of Italian home cooking in the heart of Toronto. I started with the calamari, soft and juicy, perfectly cooked, and a great way to open the meal. For my main, I went with the classic chicken parm, a simple dish, yet so often mishandled elsewhere. Here, the chicken was tender and juicy, not overcooked, and the melted cheese on top tied it all together beautifully. As a second main, I tried the pasta of the day, a homemade Bolognese that instantly transported me to Italy. The sauce followed Baldasarri’s recipe: rich, layered, and full of character, a top-notch execution that amazed my taste buds. And then, the tiramisu. Without hesitation, I can say it’s the best I’ve had in Toronto. Perfectly balanced and deliciously creamy, though I’d personally have liked the ladyfingers dipped a touch more in coffee for that extra depth. The restaurant itself is small but lively, with just enough tables and attentive servers to maintain a warm, bustling vibe. It can get a bit noisy due to the echo, but that’s part of its charm. Be prepared to wait 30–45 minutes, as they don’t take reservations, but trust me, it’s worth every minute. Prices are very affordable, portions are generous (meant to be shared), and everything about Sugo speaks of authenticity. A must-visit for anyone craving real, traditional Italian pasta or sandwiches.

Stepping into Sugo Italian feels like a trip to a classic Italian neighbourhood in New York, but right here at home. The restaurant’s atmosphere is warm and inviting, and you can tell a lot of care has gone into the design, including that fascinating wood oven! It's so cool that the owners have a special connection to it—using bricks from their old school is a quirky and unique touch that adds to the charm of the place. We were lucky to have a fantastic server who was attentive, friendly, and really knew their stuff. The menu offers a great selection, and it was hard to choose with so many delicious-sounding options. We ended up ordering a few different dishes to share, and we were not disappointed. * The Spaghetti Bolognese was a true classic. The sauce was rich and flavourful with a perfect balance of meat and sauce, and it was generously topped with cheese. A solid 9/10! * The Pesto Cream Spaghetti was another hit. The sauce was aromatic and velvety, clinging perfectly to the al dente pasta. Absolutely delicious and a definite 9/10. * The Margueretta Street Pizza was a little bit of a surprise. While the cheese and sauce were plentiful, the sauce was a bit on the sour side for my taste. Still, it was a solid 8/10. * However, the pizzas that truly stole the show were the Mama's Mushroom and the Vinny Massimo. The Mama's Mushroom with its delightful mix of mushrooms, garlic, thyme, and dollops of ricotta was absolutely divine—a perfect 10/10! * And the Vinny Massimo—with its pepperoni, mushrooms, jalapeños, and garlic—was hands down one of the best pizzas I’ve had in the city. The slightly crispy pepperoni was a fantastic touch, adding a great texture. Another perfect 10/10! Final Thoughts If you're looking for a casual and delicious Italian meal, Sugo is a must-try. The food is incredible, the staff are wonderful, and the service is top-notch. Just remember that they don't take reservations, so it's first-come, first-seated. It’s the perfect spot to grab some friends and treat yourself to an amazing meal!

We had a chill night at Sugo and loved it. The vibe is low-key and cozy—brick walls, good tunes, and that comforting red-sauce aroma the second you walk in. We shared a big salad, then dove into bowls of pasta that were simple and perfect (al dente noodles, rich tomato sauce, generous parm). The meatballs were tender and saucy, and the tiramisu sealed the deal. Service was friendly and fast without rushing us, so we could linger and catch up. Exactly the kind of easy, delicious night out we wanted.

Food was amazing, literally couldn’t decide what to get but the staff were so friendly and helpful with recommendations. I think the vibe and atmosphere might be the best in Toronto. Got the special on the menu, forgot the name but it was 10/10, I never thought I’d love beef ragu sauce so much I’d definitely travel back for it 🤞🏻 also had the burrata, gnocchi and meatball which were also all amazing. Waited about an hour and we went around 3pm but did some shopping and walking around so it flew by fast!

Sugo is definitely worth experiencing at least once! Plan ahead, though, because they don’t take reservations. We came on a Sunday at lunch time. We had to wait for a table to become free. Once you secure a table, the service is excellent! Definitely come with a few friends, as it’s best to share a few different dishes to try a variety. The drinks were also fun to try. We really appreciated the recommendations from our server, as none of us had been to Sugo before.

The best Italian restaurant in town! Affordable price, huge portions, friendly server, and cozy vibe. The only downside is that you need to wait as they dont accept reservations, but def not long because we can always dine in at Bar Sugo next door with the same menu. Must try the pesto cream spaghetti and calamari!!! I was never a fan of pesto but Sugo changed my mind forever, turned out I’ve never had good pesto spaghetti before i came here lol.

Sugo has such a cozy, homey vibe, we got a nice seat by the window and it was honestly such a vibe. The mozzarella sticks were insane, and I absolutely LOVED the pesto pasta. The portions are pretty big, but it was so good we didn’t leave a single bite for takeout 😅 The chicken parm is definitely worth a try too, and of course we had to pair everything with an espresso martini. Definitely worth coming back, such a great spot for good food and good vibes. 😋🍝🍸

I’ve ordered multiple cakes from here and were blown away each time. The detail and the beauty of their cakes are unbelievable. They’re also delicious, where most decorated cakes tend to be more dry and stiff. These were not at all. We will continue to order from these amazing ladies and their team.

I just want to say thank you to the owners of the rolling pin! They were wonderful! They made my wedding cake dreams come true! The sugar flowers looked amazing! The flavour was lemon raspberry and it was Refreshing and moist! My guests raved about how delicious the cake was! They arrived on time and set up the cake. I ordered a donut tower with a small cake on top for my wedding. This company is non-responsive. You will not know if your product will ever arrive because they don’t answer the phone , it tells you not to leave messages and they don’t respond to emails. They had said that they would set up the tower for me and were scheduled to arrive at one. I bought the stand and had it with me at the venue at 11:45 and had been informed that they had already been there and just left the pastries for the staff to set up. They did not do a good job of it but I don’t blame them at all, that was not their job. The donuts were dense and not fully glazed . No one liked them. The cake on top was absolutely delicious. But I would never order from this company again. I found it very unprofessional, especially when dealing with something as important as a wedding, I would have expected more. I don’t have photos because it looked so pathetic we didn’t take any.

You know the saying, “it’s as easy as pie”? Well, dare I say the new saying should be “it’s as easy as cupcake bouquets”?! (Really rolls off the tongue, doesn’t it?! 😛😂) I never thought of myself as a baker, but when you have someone bake the cupcakes for you, and make the frosting for you, and provide the decor to bring your cupcakes to life, it’s not as hard as it looks. I can now happily say I made myself one fabulous cupcake flower bouquet. You may notice from my pictures, that I chose some abstract designs, but I appreciate that my creativity wasn’t stifled. Such a fun idea for a bridal shower 👰‍♀️❤️

I was looking forward to coming here specifically because the donuts looked so good. Was I mistaken. I bought 4 donuts - cookies n cream, strawberry jam, coconut cream, and raspberry cream trifle. The donut was kinda dry/dense. The toppings were either tasteless or overly sweet. I didn't really enjoy any of them. I'm pretty disappointed that I spent $26.43 for this...would not come here again. I do appreciate the friendly customer service though.

I have been going to Serano since I was a child, but I am writing this review specifically to review my wedding cake. I placed an order via email with Maria, who was responsive and helpful. As far as I know, the cake was delivered to our complicated venue (on board a yacht at Harbourfront) on time and with no problems. The cake was ENORMOUS. We weren't expecting to get such a large cake and were so pleasantly surprised by this. This cake featured in all of our guests' summer instagram posts. Thank you to the bakers and the decorators! We loved our cake. It fit out 90s boat wedding vibe perfectly.

Stopped in here randomly while we were visiting Toronto and staying in East York. Make sure you take a number when you head in. We got a box of random treats and they were all delicious and you could tell were made with care and love. Highly recommended to anyone visiting or in the Toronto area!

This place is always busy, but everything is well-organized - you take a number and wait your turn. There’s an incredible variety of desserts - it’s hard to choose! They also offer many products imported from Greece. The éclairs are absolutely delicious. The staff and cashiers are friendly and welcoming.

Ho, let me tell you the difference between ordering online vs in person. I’ll keep my original review because I think it’s also important to mention. Updated Review: my husband and I stopped here for a birthday cake Saturday evening. We found the cake we liked, and we requested to write happy birthday. Everything looked good during initial inspection. We went up to the front cash to pay and the man in the white lab coat/man in cash was so rude & so disrespectful. He barely acknowledged us, throw the pin pad at me to pay and didn’t even bother to make any noise while we were leaving. When we got home, we found a hair sadly. Worse is, we wanted to give the benefit of the doubt except we are a black curly haired household and this was a brown straight hair. Either way, we enjoyed the online experience but won’t be bringing my business nor my coin here again. Old Review: Our custom cake order was AMAZING. The order experience was simple and I appreciate that they take half upfront, half when you go pick up the cake. We ordered online (email) and picked up when it was ready.

We had such a great experience at Serano Bakery! We stopped in to pick out some treats for a dinner party we were heading to, and the service was excellent. The server took the time to help us choose a beautiful variety of pastries, and they were a total hit at the party. Everything looked amazing and tasted even better. Nice dessert spot. Got some assorted mini donuts from here. They were really good fresh, but the later we had them the less appetizing they were. The Reese’s peanut butter was the best out of the four choices. Just a heads up the donuts are very small compared to the photos, one to two bites each.

The best thing about this place is all the picture-perfect and Instagram-worthy shots you can take about their available ice cream and donuts. Personally, I have had my lot of good shots taken. Money-wise the prices of their menu items are a little bit in the expensive side. Ultimately, the visit to this dessert shop is all good for those looking to sample some nice-looking sweets.

Nice little shop with very delicious donuts. There were plenty of flavours to choose from. Also tried out the cinnamon ice cream sundae. As a fan of everything cinnamon, it was absolutely fantastic. Even had cinnamon toast crunch layered at the bottom.

I've been meaning to visit Fugo Desserts for quite some time now. Specifically, I had the S'mores specialty cone in mind. However, with the chillier temperature, I opted for their Instagram-worthy hot chocolate instead. The hot chocolate itself wasn't overly sweet and/or rich. The highlight though was truly the toasted marshmallow topping! I love anything with marshmallow fluff to be honest. For added cuteness, the drink is then topped with two Teddy graham cookies and a Hershey's chocolate as well. Walking in, I was greeted immediately. The front-like employee asked me if it was my first time here and since I said yes, he kindly walked me through the menu. He was very helpful and kind, while giving me adequate time to think through my order - which I greatly appreciated cause I didn't feel rushed at all. The store itself is small but cozy. I shall be back for more goodies! ----- Update. I walked into an empty store around 6:45 pm and wasn't greeted by a staff member until about 5-10 minutes later as he came out from the back of house (the same for the next customer who came in while my ice cream was being made at the back). The employee was quiet but polite. Winter is still here but the S'MORES ON S'MORES from Fugo was calling my name! The best feeling is when something tastes as good as you imagine, and this was definitely that. The two scoops of Skor brownie ice cream were just rich enough that it wasn't too heavy and/or sweet. The brownie bites were delicious. As you know, I love toasted marshmallow fluff so i don't need to say more about that. Topped with a piece of cookies n' cream Hershey's chocolate, this was absolute heaven. ----- Update. I've tried Fugo's ice cream which deserved 5 stars, but here I am coming back to try their donuts! These cute little goodies also deserve a high rating because the classic donuts are extremely light and fluffy, and serve as the basis for all their donuts. To top it all off, they have such a wide variety of specialty donuts. I tried the following: 1. Campfire s'mores 2. Churros 3. Creme brulee 4. Cookies n'cream 5. Chocolate pistachio 6. Reese's I genuinely enjoyed all the flavors and would come back to try the others. This box of 6 was $5.75! It's a bonus that purchasing 6+ donuts excludes taxes. ---- Update. Easter weekend pop-up delivery of 2020 I found out about this pop-up via their Instagram posts and overall, I'd say they did a very good job of advertising/keeping their customers informed and their overall organization was quite good (especially considering that this was their first time hosting this type of event). Placing my order was simple - online on their website with a very user-friendly interface. Being a Vaughan resident, my delivery was set for the second day and estimated for ~5pm delivery. Impressively, the doorbell rung at 5:11 pm. Delivery was completely contactless, as they dropped order on the porch and rang the bell. My two items were placed in a large paper bag. Small detail, but they didn't place their logo on anything (i.e. no logos on the paper bag, ice cream tub, or cake container). Everything tasted fresh, like it was made the day of. The HK milk tea ice cream ($11.90) was rich in flavor and creamy smooth! The matcha tiramisu ($22) was a little small in size for the price, but the flavors were perfect. The top layer of matcha powder helped to balance out the sweetness of the cream and by keeping this dusting light, it wasn't too bitter. I was extremely happy with my order, and it was exciting to have it delivered to me for free (orders over $30) especially considering they're located downtown.

Fugo has the perfect bite-size treat to grab! These super cute and delicious mini donuts comes in all different neat flavours~ like cookies n'creme, apple pie, rose pistachio... They make the donuts freshly right after you order too! You can choose the number of donuts in a box, and mix and match the flavours. We found that toppings varied in sweetness, but overall the donuts had a nice fried shell, with soft "cake-like" texture biting in. We ordered them for a party, they were very presentable, and all of us loved it. I still loved my desserts I will be back for their earl grey soft serve 🍦🫖💕

Absolutely outstanding patisserie. Every visit to Roselle feels like a little celebration of taste — their desserts are crafted with remarkable precision, creativity, and genuine passion. The eclairs, mille-feuille, and their signature Earl Grey soft-serve are all executed to perfection. You can sense the French training behind every detail, from textures to balance of flavors. The space is bright and inviting, the staff always kind and attentive, and everything feels thoughtfully designed. Easily one of the best dessert spots in Toronto — refined, consistent, and worth every visit.

I had the fraisier, Earl grey mousse and a slice of mango passion fruit sponge cake. They were all good but I thought overpriced for what they were. Tasted good… but not amazing. The service was nice. I’ve been there for their soft serve with strawberries sundae and it was good but, again, I found it more expensive than what I thought it was worth.

Roselle doesn’t just do desserts, they do works of art you can eat — and “Next Level” soft serve is exactly that. Imagine Earl Grey tea got dressed up for a Michelin-star gala, then decided to throw in a zesty lemon surprise just to keep things playful. The swirl itself is impossibly creamy, perfumed with tea in the most delicate, elegant way. Then they go ahead and crown it with lemon curd, crisp pearls that crunch like tiny fireworks, and a buttery sable cookie just to remind you they’re not messing around. Every bite had me questioning if I should slow down to savor… or speed up before someone tried to steal it. Verdict: gone in minutes. This isn’t just ice cream. This is Next Level living. Would 100% recommend — bring a friend, but order your own because sharing is not realistic.

I live an hour away and roselle is most certainly worth the trek to this neighborhood. I wish they had longer hours. My fav things are the soft serve , the earl grey cake and the banana eclairs are to die for! The flavours are just perfect and not sickingly sweet. I thin the joke is they try and cater to Asian palates. I also appreciate how they partner with local producers for seasonal fruit items. I tried the corn cake on Friday and it was so unique and delicious. I dream about Roselle and it is my favourite bakery in Toronto !

Roselle is a hidden gem tucked into the heart of Corktown. It's my favourite go-to dessert spot in the neighbourhood, and often claims a lineup down the street (but don't worry, it moves fast). The Earl Grey ice cream and birthday cake cups are my personal favourites.

Ordered the 9inch earl grey cake from roselle for the first time and let me tell you, it was the BEST earl grey cake I’ve had in my entire life. It’s so worth the price and my boyfriend and his friends really really enjoyed it. Everyone asked where I got it from. Will definitely be returning for future birthday orders 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Sampled 2 different flavours and none of them stood out. None of the gelatos we tried had lots of flavour. I can’t even remember which one we got, chocolate something. It was good but not memorable enough to pay $6 for 1 scoop and over $9 for 2 scoops. You can take home a pint for over $12.

Surprised with the different flavours they have. Yesterday I tried the Bourbon Smoked Chocolate and Cocconut Lemon. They are good but not enough for me to come back other times. It's worth trying.

Absolutely phenomenal gelato! Death in Venice has quickly become my new favourite spot. The flavours are truly out of the box and incredibly well executed. I had the smoked pecan and maple butter tart flavour and it was a perfect 10/10. Rich, unique, and totally memorable. The interior is super cute and inviting, with a fun selection of other treats like artisanal chocolate bars, fruit preserves, and jellies. A must visit for anyone looking for an elevated gelato experience.

Death in Venice was delicious! We tried the pints but bought a waffle cone to make cones at home! The coconut lemon cream pie is so yummy and refreshing and the PB&J croissant was really delicious! Would definitely go back.

Absolutely loved this gelato spot! The flavours were rich and you can tell real ingredients were used. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and happy to let us sample a few before deciding.

Tried their soft serve ricotta and honey ice cream – it was really good! The flavors were unique and delicious. One tip for the shop would be to offer more choices for the other ice creams. Also, I felt that the quantity received didn't quite justify the price. Overall, it's a cool place with interesting flavors.

They had pretty creative and out of the box flavors. I tried the award winning cheeseboard but wasn't my thing. I tried and the Mexican spiced chocolate and thought it was interesting and got a scoop but I hated it the more I had it and it was not pleasant at all. I appreciate the creativity but I'd like to see a well executed classic list first then these options but basically this was their entire offerings and if thats not your taste well that's just too bad I guess

The prices are reasonable and every pastry I tried was delicious. I went a bit late, so some of the ones I wanted were already sold out. But I picked up almost everything that was left in the display fridge (except the whole cakes), and they were all great. I especially liked that nothing was too sweet. The level of sweetness was just right. Not really a complaint, but if I had to point out something, everything is takeout only, even if you want to dine in. Also, maybe because it’s so popular, many items sell out quickly. I really wanted to try the strawberry yogurt something and the chocolate something cake, but they were already gone. I live a bit far, so I’m not sure when I can go again, but I definitely want to come back for more!

This is my favourite type of small BUISNESS. Owed and operated by artisans proud of their creations. Proud they should be. Wonderful bakery. My favourite item was the puff pastry filled with perfectly balanced apple and cinnamon. Clean and well lit.

The mont blanc was delicious and the cream puff was filled with so much yummy vanilla cream. Both desserts were amazing!

My family recently got some savoury and sweet pastries from this little patisserie and everything was absolutely lovely! For savoury, we got their Croissant Sandwiches including Egg Salad and Ham & Cheese. Both were flaky, delicious, and you could tell were freshly made! For sweet we got a Dark Chocolate Tart and two Matcha Tiramisu cakes, which were all pieces of art. The Matcha Tiramisu was creamy, luscious, light and not overly sweet. They were my favourite of the whole bunch and were absolutely DIVINE! We also got four of their Cream Puffs and one Coffee Chocolate Tart. The Cream Puffs were so fluffy and not overly sweet. The Coffee Chocolate Tart was also fantastic. Their other pastries and danishes are luscious! The staff were helpful and prompt at packing our rather large to-go order! This is a lovely place for pastries, whether you’re craving sweet or savoury!

Did you know French croissants made in Tokyo taste better than those made in Paris? Fortunately, we're able to experience the same Japanese influence locally, right here. Everything this little pastry shop makes is the best, including a high variety of French puffed pastry as well as beautiful pies and cakes, prepared sandwiches, salads and more. Amazing pastries and staff. We had the raspberry jam French beignet and the French toast. The French toast was amazing, do not sleep on that. The raspberry jam was very good. It is a little pricey and they only take credit over $10 so bring cash or debit. I highly recommend this bakery.

This bakery is by far the best bakery ever! I’ve been going here for years and they’ve done all my cakes from my birthday, friend’s birthdays, to my wedding cake. They are absolutely the best! With the design, delivery, and flavour. They are the complete package. My self and family members have nut allergies and it’s so nice how they are completely nut free. There is no one else better than them! The absolute best bakery 🩷

Where do I begin?! I’d give ten stars if I could! I was following them on Instagram for ages and finally visited today for a cake tasting and it was dellliicccioouussss. The cupcakes were so fresh, beautifully presented and the customer service was warm and kind 💕 The smell when I walked in put me in a trance it was so good! I highly recommend. I’ll be choosing them to do my cake but will be back in the mean time for more treats 😋 thank you short and sweet!

BEST CUPCAKES IN TORONTO! The texture of the red velvet cupcakes is so bouncy and the butter cream icing on the other cupcakes is delicious. The staff were so helpful and nice.

Short & Sweet made the most beautiful, and more importantly, most delicious wedding cake for our wedding. We highly recommend their red velvet and carrot cake options. Even guests who do not normally like those flavours were raving about the incredibly moist and delicious cake they had prepared. Daneet was amazing to work with and accommodated all of our special requests. The tasting process was also lovely, with all staff and the owner providing top notch customer service. Short & Sweet delivered the cake to our venue without a hitch and decorated it with live flowers on the spot to ensure maximum beauty and freshness. My wife and I could not have asked for a better wedding cake. We have also ordered a cake from Short & Sweet for a birthday party, which was also fantastic. My wife and I will continue to use Short & Sweet for our future events. We cannot recommend them enough.

A most pleasant customer experience was had by me on the phone. I ordered the Sprinkler birthday cake. Peanut-free bakery was key because I had dietary restrictions for some of my birthday guests. The cake was delicious!!! Party goers thought there was a a heavy amount of icing. Next time I will specify less. Tasty good overall, Thank you

I love these cookies! I can only have the gluten friendly ones, so I have to make sure I'm there for those ones (they sell out quickly!), but they are magical. They have a huge variety for the gluten-eating types, and the looks on my friends' faces tells me they are every bit as delicious as the gf ones.

These cookies are delicious, but very heavy. You’ll be more than satisfied with one and very full after two. It’s a nice little treat when you’re feeling like indulging and would go great with a glass of milk or black coffee. A box of 6 makes a lovely little gift for the people in your life who have a sweet tooth and will only set you back $18.

Craig’s Cookies are hands down the best ! I love their amazing assortment and delicious flavors. Every time I visit Toronto (specifically Church street) stopping by Craig’s is a must. Sorry Craig, I’m not a fan. Cookies are weirdly both too sweet and too salty. The options are mostly popular candies and chocolate bars in a cookie. Lack’s originality. Also, I expected them to be bigger for the price. 2nd chance: tried the Pecan Butter Tart & Pumpkin Pie from the Thanksgiving mix. Pecan Butter was tasty, but super sweet. The Pumpkin Pie was not good; I couldn’t even finish it. Customer service wasn’t that friendly today either.

I popped in looking for something like sea salt caramel brown butter walnuts, or uncommon spice/herbs etc. The closest I found was a soft skor. It was fresh and soft but too sweet, I feel it’s one of those cookies that is really needs to be consumed alongside whole milk or coffee to balance it, no crispy edges for relief, overall not to my preference. However, if you like the style of salted super-sweet all-soft cookies with candy inclusions, there are so many options for you at Craig’s.

I recently visited Crown Pastries and had a pretty pleasant experience. I started off with their Arabic coffee, which was fine—nothing too extraordinary, but it did the job. It had a nice, traditional flavor, though I’ve had more flavorful versions elsewhere. However, the standout for me was definitely the Dubai chocolate bar only for $12. It was absolutely amazing! Rich, indulgent, and perfectly balanced—definitely a treat worth coming back for. Overall, a good spot if you're looking for a quick coffee or dessert, but if you're a big coffee connoisseur, you might want to try something else. Still, the Dubai chocolate bar alone is worth the visit!

After a long drive from Ottawa to Windsor, we decided to take a break in Mississauga and were craving some Lebanese pastries. That’s when we found Crown Pastries, and I’m so glad we did – this place is absolutely amazing! The variety they offer is outstanding. From all kinds of baklawa to knefe, puddings, and even fresh juices, Crown Pastries has it all. Everything we tried was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. You can really tell they put pride and tradition into their work. We ordered a bunch of different items, and every single one of them was delicious. The baklawa was perfectly balanced with sweetness and crunch, the knefe was rich and comforting, and the puddings were smooth and satisfying. On top of that, the fresh juices were the perfect complement to all the desserts. What really stood out, though, was the customer service. The staff were so warm and welcoming, and they went above and beyond to make our visit special. They even offered us samples of different pastries so we could try more of what they had to offer, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The shop itself is very clean, inviting, and full of tempting displays that make you want to try everything. Prices are also fair for the quality and variety you’re getting. Overall, Crown Pastries is a gem in Mississauga. If you’re anywhere in the area and craving authentic Lebanese sweets, this is the spot to visit. I’ll definitely be coming back whenever I pass through – it’s worth the stop every time!

If you’re a dessert lover or coffee enthusiast, Crown Pastries is a hidden gem worth discovering. The moment you walk in, you’re greeted with the rich aroma of freshly brewed coffee and the warm, cozy ambiance that makes you want to stay for a while. We tried their signature dessert—Warbat Ashta, Bin Nareen with Ashta, Halwet al Jubin, Kunafe Madlouka with Ashta, Oreo Ashtotta, Pistashio Ashtott, and Dubail chocolate fruit cup they were amazing. Paired it with their turkish coffee, and cafe latte which were smooth and clearly made with quality beans.

This item was sold out but I believe (Abdu- gentlemen with a curly hair) prepared this from scratch for us. Cup was delicious and he was so kind. Thanks to him and Crown pastries for service!

Love this place and I went every day when I lived next door. The owner is from France and their croissants are the best. Their coffee drinks are lovely as well. This place sells out fast even though they really don’t have much of a selection and that’s why I gave it not a five star and the ambiance is lacking as well.

This amazing and unassuming cute little pastry shop is serving up some of the most amazing and the most authentic French pastries and delicious cakes. Everything is made fresh, simple good quality ingredients as it should, and the moment you bite into any of their many pastries your taste buds will be lit up and you're just going to want to jump up for joy! Because you've finally found that bakery that knows a thing or two about baking the proper pastry. The coffee is amazing as well! So if you're in the neighbourhood drop on off to Fleur du Jour and try as many pastries as you can, trust me you will be so deliciously delighted!

This little pastry shop on St Clair is worthy of legend. Every day they open at around the same time, but it varies a little - it’s dependent on the croissants are ready - which varies a little with the weather. They don’t have a close time - they close when they sell out. If you have a bit of time, try the Brietto - it’s a croissant toasted with Brie, prosciutto and a cheesy creamy filling, absolutely delicious! In the morning they offer a wide variety of French pastries - from the classic croissant to sweet delights with berries, pears and other delicious fresh fruit. The only reason they don’t have them in the afternoon is because they sell out by then! In the afternoon they have divine mousse cakes in several flavors - the Rocher and the Cassis Vanilla are incredible. We keep coming back not just for the food - the owner and staff are always welcoming and makes us feel at home! Pricing is reasonable, but payment is cash or debit only (no credit).

If you're looking for authentic (yet unique) French patisserie in an unpretentious setting, this is it. Everything is freshly baked and delicious. The staff is courteous and responsive and the owner/baker is delightful. Stop in for the Brietto (croissant with brie and prosciutto) and a coffee. Bring home some apple, raspberry or mixed fruit tarts. Everything a real treat!

I stopped in for a pastry and iced latte. The coffee was good and the pear pastry was very good if a bit floppy due to the lack of a/c on a hot and humid day. The experience was hurt by the flat to the point of rude staff person. It's as if they are trying to be a poster child for the Gen Z stare. People are who they are, but this shop could improve on customer service and the interior environment and it would get an easy 5 stars from me.

The croissant was excellent; very fresh and tasty. The coffee was good. There is a bit of seating inside. My only issue is that the coffees aren't priced right. How is a cortado and a macchiato the same price as a cappuccino. $5 is much above market price for these drinks with significantly less milk.

It's a hole-in-the-wall type of place with the price point of a posh cafe. Croissant was on point. Unfortunately, that's about it. Worst cappuccino I've had in years. It tasted like something poured from a random gas station overnight pot. Service was lukewarm at best. The atmosphere is like an university co-op.

The Gouter (the chocolate croissant) is sooo good! Worth every buck. Fresh delicious croissants 🥐 that are addictive.

You walk into Goûter and you simply do not know where to look first! Then again, the smells of fresh bread, butter, chocolate pure bliss. I love all the selections of great food. Everything from take out meals and soups to filled croissants, stunning baking and chocolates. I bought a little of everything but always my go to’s are perfect baguettes, a proper croissant filled with ham and bechamel, a fruit danish and of course a tiny cake. In French, "goûter" is the verb for "to taste", and everything I've had so far at Goûter was definitely tasty. The interior smells of the fresh butter they use in their boulangerie, so entrancing! My significant other and I shared their Piña Colada gelato (especially amazing), Banana Chocolate Caramel gelato, Pain au chocolate (très bon!!), Almond croissant (though I think I prefer the filling at Amadeus and Nadege), Kouign-amann (MUST-HAVE, buttery sugary crispy fluffy goodness originating in Brittany, France), Tarte au chocolat (not as rich as I'd hoped), and a super crunchy French baguette (too crunchy for my tastes but I would still repurchase) that we used to make a couple sandwiches at home. There's a market across the road and a No Frills just North at Wilson where you can pick up toppings to make your own delights. The shopkeeper was very polite and definitely has a strong knowledge of French patisserie. She let us sample their new scones - buttery, a bit cheesy, and fluffy, yet with a firm crust, we'll have to get some next time! From what I've seen, they also allow you to pick up frozen Pain au chocolat (and perhaps other items) that you can proof and bake in your own kitchen! I asked about when they usually sell out of their baked goods, and apparently every day is different. If you are worried, you can order in the morning and then pick up your items by the end of the day. They really care not to over-produce so that they don't waste food, and so that their products are always fresh out of the oven. I was really impressed when the shopkeeper said that they make everything themselves, nothing from other stores. Verdict: Definitely one of the best patisseries in the city. We'll definitely be back to try their other products and repurchase our favourites! Looking forward to trying some chocolates, eclairs, and more pastries!

I feel like I'm kind of rounding up here, I would've given this spot a 3.5. The cruffin and kouign-amann were absolutely amazing, but I was so let down by the almond croissant and danish. I pre-ordered ahead of time, but had I seen them beforehand, I likely wouldn't have spent the money. The danish had a hole in the pastry, as if it had stuck to the pan while baking and the bottom had just ripped off (I shared it with my family and everyone was disappointed) - I think grocery store ones are better than this for a fraction of the price! And the croissant was pretty lacklustre, not flaky and full of filling like other croissants. That being said, I think this is a good spot to check out for their famous kouign-amann, which was super tasty and the cruffin was perfectly flaky and loaded with a delicious cream filling!

What a joy to discover this traditional French pâtisserie and bakery right down the street from where I live. After living in Paris for a couple of years and getting used to walking to my local boulangerie, I didn't think that I would ever find this in Toronto. But find it I did, at Goûter that opened up on Bathurst a few months ago. The croissants, pain au chocolat and pain au raisin were perfectly flaky and fresh. By far the "most authentic" that I have found in Toronto (and I have tried a number of French bakeries on Avenue, Yonge, Bayview and Mt. Pleasant in North York). I didn't get a chance to try the baguettes yet (the real litmus test), but I will certainly go back. The confectionery and home-made icecream look delicious, and they have an amazing looking espresso machine that I definitely want to try. All-in-all, a great experience for a newly opened store on Bathurst. I will do my best to help it stay around. -------- OK, I just went back to try the fresh baguette (actually more like a French "tradition" with a harder crunchy crust and a chewy, rather than the soft fluffy inside of a baguette), and it was fantastic. Seriously. I am upping my review to 5 stars. Oh happy day!

Decided to go try this place for the sole purpose that they said that they make the best Nutella croissant in the city. Overall it was good could have put more Nutella in the croissant. Clean service was good service

In short, the food is okay. We both tried their prix-fixe menu for $26, which comes with an appetizer and a main dish of your choice. The appetizers were pretty good, but our pastas were underwhelming. Service was really slow, and our waitress never checked in on us to see how our food was. Even when I tried to wave one down for cheese, I had already finished my meal and my girlfriend was halfway through hers. After dinner we had Gelato at the shop nearby and that was very good.

This was my third visit to Eataly, and unfortunately, it only reinforced a pattern of disappointment. The food was consistently underwhelming — portion sizes, especially for the pasta dishes, were surprisingly small given the premium pricing. The gnocchi was meager, and the penne was significantly undercooked. The pizza arrived soggy and wet in the center — a basic misstep for a place that prides itself on Italian cuisine. What was even more disheartening was the service. The attitude of the servers seemed noticeably disinterested — particularly when I declined to order a drink or sparkling water. There was an unmistakable coldness, with servers either visibly pulling back or handing off the table to someone else. Service was slow and impersonal, yet the expectation for an 18–20% tip remained, regardless of the quality of the experience. Sadly, this isn’t an isolated experience — I’ve felt a similar dynamic at other Eataly locations, where the hospitality seems conditional on how much you’re willing to spend on extras like drinks. It leaves a sour taste, both literally and figuratively. For a brand that positions itself as a flagship of Italian food and culture, the experience feels increasingly hollow. I will not be returning, nor can I recommend Eataly to others at this point

This particular return visit is particularly disappointing at the kitchen. Father is visiting from Victoria, BC and we know our seafoods. Took him to Eataly and after some shopping he decided to dine at La Pizza & La Pasta. Having dined here multiple times I am so confident that he’d love the foods here. Yet, the mussels and seafood pasta both miss their marks. Crocche de patate remained excellent. At first, I thought the two prior mentioned dishes are just the way they are. That the kitchen changed up the recipe or it was me who just hasn’t taste the salt on the other side of the plates. The soupy sauce of mussels tasted sour and no seasoning to the pasta. Plainly put, both were missing salt/ seasoning. After having three consecutive mussels that haven’t properly gone through de-sand process I asked for the waitress. She’s been kind and after the dishes arrived did keep on returning to check if we need anything else. When I finally mentioned the issue she went fetch the manager. We reiterated the situation of the dishes to the manager, Matthew, and he asked why didn’t we speak up earlier. My response was I thought it was my issue before, until even the quality of ingredients went downhill. The manager is kind enough to take away the remaining dishes and charge us for 2/3 dishes. When the bill came my father realizes it wouldn’t be fair to the waitress who has been so helpful. So we added a lemon cake and shot of espresso. To mention the dessert is heavenly. Hope the kitchen realizes it and corrects itself.

Eataly Toronto is such a gem on Bloor! The atmosphere feels like a true taste of Italy lively, warm, and full of amazing aromas. The pizza was perfectly baked with authentic Italian flavor, and all the food was fresh and full of quality ingredients. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, making the whole experience even better. Definitely a must visit spot for anyone who loves real Italian food!

I've been going to Eataly since I've discovered their pizza. The dough is very nice, airy and fluffy, crispy on the edges. The deserts are nice. The pasta was al dente which is a huge + And I noticed a seasonal event as well, a tasting menu to choose from which I thaught it was nice 👍

Came to Eataly while visiting Toronto last week. I was impressed by the products and how beautiful the store and food counters were. We enjoyed our Panini sandwiches and treats. The staff were all friendly and helped us select what to put on the sandwiches. However, the prices are really high here. We bought a bag of Vecchi Chocolates from the bulk chocolates section to take home. To my surprise, when I opened several of the chocolates, they had the white film on them indicating that they were old and past their prime.They were also as hard as bricks. Was extremely disappointed of this because of the price I paid for them. I think they need to make sure they are rotating their stock.

As Italian, Eataly represents a sweet escape for a nice slide of pizza or gelato there when I feel homesick, or even buying some fresh products as focaccia, mozzarella and prosciutto for a lazy and comfy dinner at home! The service sometimes is slow and when we went in one of their restaurant for the Xmas dinner the dishes were just ok. The pizza restaurant is nice, but slightly expensive. The birreria downstairs is fun! 🤩

I really enjoyed our experience here. It was my first time. We came after a show to grab a quick bite on a late Tuesday night but the place was still full. I wondered if people ever work here 🤭 The food was great. We had some appetizers and the spicy pasta. The ambiance was good too. The staff was exactly the crowd on queen west - hipster who always look high. lol but the service was good - they seemed to be good at their jobs. All in all, solid 5 out of 5.

The ambiance here is great, really cool vibe. The food was also impressive and our server was attentive and friendly. This place is great for a date or getting together with friends. A relatively young crowd and always busy so make reservations if you can. There was a steady stream of takeout orders especially the pizza. All the food we had was great. I’d definitely go back again.

Just came here to rave about the meatballs! Came here for the second time with a friend and had their Caesar salad, meatballs and virgin margarita. We shared the tiramisu dessert. Salad and meatballs were phenomenal. The tomato sauce had a hint of spicy and sweet and hit was honestly one of the best sauces I’ve tasted at a restaurant. The tiramisu however was okay. It was more creamy and needed a little more texture with butter fingers. It felt like I was eating a jar of mousse instead. I wouldn’t have it again. Service was also great. Sat at the bar and Rebecca attended to me. She was friendly and intuitive; had a lovely chat with her while I waited for my friend. I highly recommend!

I absolutely loved my visit to Bar Poet in Toronto! The atmosphere feels like stepping into a secret garden — cozy lights, lush greenery, and a magical vibe that makes you forget you’re right on Queen Street. The pizza was delicious, thin, crispy, and full of flavor. It’s the perfect spot for a fun night out with friends or a romantic evening. Definitely one of my new favorite places in the city!

Yesterday, I went to celebrate my husband’s birthday. Noah provided excellent service, we were truly impressed by his hospitality. He made this year’s birthday celebration such a wonderful moment for us. We’ve always loved Bar Poet, The place was beautiful and impressive outstanding with stylish décor. The cocktails were amazing and the food tasted great! and will definitely be coming back again!

Vegan pizza? 5/5 Ambiance? also 5/5. Music ? A complicated 5/5 - It was very millenial , but in the best way possible. I couldn't help but love it and simultaneously recognize how I've aged since hearing Justin Bieber's Baby for the first time. The service was great and the food was worth the wait to get in. I look forward to returning 😌

Oh God, this bar was packed cause the Blue Jays game going on, but the crowd was amazing! Loved the energy — the music, the vibe, and the drinks were next level. Had such a great time! Would be bringing my friends again. 😁
