The Distillery District, located in Toronto, is a charming pedestrian-only area housed in 19th-century buildings that used to be a large whiskey distillery. The cobblestone streets are now home to trendy independent restaurants, bars, and shops. Art enthusiasts can explore galleries and outdoor sculptures while enjoying various performances at the district's theaters. In December, the Toronto Christmas Market transforms the area into a festive wonderland.

Castle
Event venue
Casa Loma, located about 10 minutes north of Toronto's city center, is a magnificent castle spanning 64,700 square feet. Constructed in 1914 by Canadian financier Sir Henry Pallatt, the castle showcases his love for European art and Gothic revival architecture. Visitors can explore the lavishly adorned halls and rooms, stroll through the terrace and gardens, and admire the opulent bedrooms and libraries.
Casa Loma is absolutely stunning and feels like stepping into a European fairy tale right in the middle of the city. The sheer size and Gothic Revival architecture—from the towering turrets to the opulent Great Hall—are truly breathtaking. You can spend hours exploring the different areas, especially the Conservatory with its beautiful stained glass and the main floors filled with lavish period furniture. I highly recommend taking the spooky tunnel down to the Stables and Garage to see the vintage car collection and the hidden historical exhibits. And if you want a totally unique experience, you have to try one of their escape rooms! They are completely immersive, use the actual castle spaces like the Norman Tower or tunnels, and often include live actors, making it one of the most memorable escape games you'll ever play. It’s definitely a must-see for the history, the beauty, and the fun.
Rahul S — Google review
This castle is absolutely beautiful and full of interesting history. My favourite parts were the secret tunnel — it was decorated for Halloween and looked amazing — and the basement area where you can see which movies were filmed in each room. The only downside was the spiral staircase to the tower. It gets quite tight and crowded, so it would be great if there were signs or someone to help direct the flow of people. Overall, a really fun and memorable visit!
Alisha_Jira — Google review
Casa Loma was fantastic to visit! I could have stayed atop the Norman Tower for hours and enjoyed the views. Inside the castle, the rooms were beautiful arranged with much to read and learn about. Plenty of helpful staff members to point you in the right direction if you get lost as well. The first time I went, I just explored the outside. I decided to return for a proper visit inside as well, and it was absolutely worth it!
Nevin D — Google review
It was a lovely experience to visit Casa Loma! The day was beautiful and we visited on a Monday so it made the visit smooth. The views of the city are extraordinary and they history is also fascinating. The first floor is used as a well known restaurant which has converted several of the rooms into modern dining. There are also many places to sit outdoors and enjoy the view. There’s a cafe in the basement and many things to enjoy for a lovely afternoon or date. My only constructive feedback is to care for the second floor and artifacts as much as the first floor. Thank you for a nice visit!
Lyndenise R — Google review
We went here for my best friend’s birthday and the castle is general is majestic and give an old architecture feels in concrete jungle of Toronto. You can also see a whole Toronto skyline from their garden area. I was there for a special event called symphony in gardens, it was spectacular orchestra and it was movie theme night so all the lovely background music of all legendary movies and artists were performed. We also had champagne there which was obviously pricey but given the atmosphere it didn’t feel that bad.
Vedant G — Google review
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Casa Loma is absolutely stunning - the castle, the gardens, and the view of Toronto are all breathtaking. The entire experience feels like stepping back in time. What really stood out to me was the staff - every single person I met was ultra nice, welcoming, and eager to help. They made the visit even more enjoyable. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Toronto
Chaim W — Google review
The Haunted Tour at Casa Loma was well done as far as haunted tours go. It is a shame that they don’t go through the castle at all but I suppose that’s for the best. All of the animatronics were superb and the special effects makeup on the actors was great! I do think the ticket prices are a bit much, considering.
Storms P — Google review
Really neat place to visit. It's pretty breathtaking just from the front outside, but if you pay the ~$40 adult fee at the door, you can walk all around inside it and in the garden area in the back. Each room has a sign telling you the history behind it. It's all fascinating and beautiful. If you're looking for something to do in Toronto, this place doesn't disappoint!

Park
Nature & Parks
High Park is a vast green space covering almost 400 acres, offering various outdoor activities such as hiking, swimming, and tennis. The park features nature trails, woodlands, and picnic areas for visitors to explore. It also houses a zoo and greenhouse. During the summer months, outdoor theater performances are held in the park.
During my time at High Park for the cherry blossom season, I was completely blown away by the beauty! The park was transformed into a breathtaking sea of pink/ white blossoms, creating an incredible atmosphere. There were so many walking paths, making it easy to spend hours exploring the area. I was pleasantly surprised to see few horse rides happening inside the park, which added a unique touch to the experience. It was pretty crowded because of the cherry blossoms, so if you’re hoping to take photos at the prime spots, be ready to wait a bit. But honestly, the lively energy made it all worthwhile! One of the highlights was how dog-friendly the park is—lots of people were out enjoying the day with their furry companions. The nearby lake was also a lovely addition, with people fishing and relaxing by the water. I’m already looking forward to next year’s cherry blossom season! High Park is an amazing place to soak up nature, enjoy a leisurely walk, and appreciate the stunning beauty of the blossoms. It’s a must-see in Toronto!
Anju N — Google review
I visited High Park this summer, and it was an incredible experience. The park is huge it’s actually the largest public park in the city. I spent hours just walking along the many trails, and there were so many picnic spots where I could relax and enjoy the beautiful weather. I was really surprised by how amazing the park is for both walking and biking.
Shireen I — Google review
High Park is a stunning destination that truly captures the essence of natural beauty, especially during cherry blossom season. The beautiful cherry blossoms draw flower lovers, while the open spaces and benches provide ideal picnic spots. My family and I had an enchanting experience at the Cherry Blossom Festival, with evening visits feeling like stepping into another world. The vibrant colors and delicate petals created an atmosphere of pure magic. This picturesque setting is perfect for romantic strolls or family outings. Besides its floral charm, High Park offers a range of activities such as dog walking, making it a favorite among pet owners. The zoo within the park features a variety of animals, adding an extra layer of excitement to your visit. With a dog off-leash area, wonderful playgrounds, and a trackless train for kids, High Park caters to everyone. The park is easily accessible via the subway, ensuring convenience for all visitors. Parking near the Garden Cafe is limited, so I recommend parking on the main street and enjoying a leisurely stroll to the cherry blossom area. Overall, High Park is a true urban oasis in Toronto, offering a rejuvenating escape with its vast green spaces, serene ponds, and lush gardens. It's a must-visit for anyone looking to immerse themselves in nature and create unforgettable memories with their loved ones.
Rajesh D — Google review
High park of Toronto is just 5 km away from down town is known for beautiful natural beauty. It is a paradise for nature lovers, for children's play area and a nice place for week end picnic. A beautiful pond for those having interest of fishing.
Pranob C — Google review
What a wonderful park that has something to offer for everyone. There’s dog off leash area for the furry lovers. There’s very nice playgrounds, little zoo, and trackless train for the kids. There’s beautiful cherry blossoms in the spring for the flower lovers. There’s of course lots of open space and benches for picnics.
Dru L — Google review
I visited High Park many times before but this year was my first time seeing the cherry blossoms in full bloom. The pictures do not do this place justice, as it was truly a magical sight! Easily accessible via TTC, there are many areas of this park you can explore! This includes natural trails, ponds, mini zoo, and recreation areas.
I I — Google review
High Park is a true sanctuary in the bustling city of Toronto. With its vast green spaces, serene ponds, and lush gardens, it offers a welcome escape from urban life. Whether you're strolling along the winding paths, picnicking under the shade of towering trees, or admiring the blooming cherry blossoms in spring, High Park never fails to delight. The zoo, playgrounds, and recreational facilities make it perfect for families, while nature lovers will appreciate the diversity of flora and fauna. A visit to High Park is a rejuvenating experience that showcases the beauty of nature right in the heart of the city.
Anshul H — Google review
My family and I had the most enchanting experience at the Cherry Blossom festival in High Park this spring. Visiting the blooms in the evening truly felt like stepping into another world. The vibrant colors and delicate petals created an atmosphere of pure magic. One thing to note is the limited parking near the Garden Cafe, so I recommend parking on the main street near High Park and enjoying a leisurely stroll to the cherry blossom area. Trust me, the walk amidst nature only adds to the charm of the experience. Overall, I can’t recommend the Cherry Blossom festival at High Park highly enough. It’s a must-visit for anyone looking to immerse themselves in the beauty of nature and create unforgettable memories with their loved ones.

Toronto Islands, a cluster of 13 small islands in Lake Ontario, are easily accessible from downtown Toronto via a short ferry ride. The main islands for visitors are Centre Island, Wards Island, and Hanlan Point. Visitors can enjoy various recreational activities such as walking or biking along the bridges and pathways that connect the islands. There are also swimming beaches, boat rentals, and dining options available on the islands.
We visited Toronto Island about four weeks ago with our family and had a great time. It’s just a short boat ride from the city, but it really feels like you’re getting away from it all. The boat ride was smooth and gave us some amazing views of the Toronto skyline. Once we got to the island, we spent the day walking around, enjoying the peaceful vibe, and just relaxing together. It’s a beautiful spot calm, quiet, and full of nature. Perfect for a family outing. Definitely worth a visit.
S K — Google review
Beautiful, scenic and relaxing! Stunning views of downtown Toronto en route by ferry to this quaint set of interconnected islands. Lovely boardwalk from Ward’s Island to Centre Island. Clean and lifeguard-supervised swimming area on Centre Island. Cute amusement park and gardens. Spend the day or just a few hours.
Kristine B — Google review
Toronto Islands are one of the best places to visit in the city. The view of the skyline from across the water is absolutely breathtaking, especially at sunset. Whether it’s summer or fall, the islands are stunning. There are three islands, each with its own charm. You can take a boat to any of them (check the schedule), or grab a water taxi near Harbourfront for a more relaxing ride. The return trip from the island is free even if you didn’t take the ferry. The are a few beaches which are clean and scenic, perfect for summer days. I highly recommend going on a weekday, ideally in the morning to avoid crowds (it can be VERY crowdy on weekends). On weekdays it is quiet, peaceful, and you might feel like you have the whole place to yourself. The best way to explore is by renting a bike through Bike Share. There are lots of them available. There is also a nice boardwalk on the opposite side of the islands (no bikes permitted though). But the best part is of course the iconic view from Centre Island. There are also a few cafes for a quick snack, plenty of picnic spots, lots of water stations. Overall, Toronto Islands are a must-see!
Daria K — Google review
I always have a great time on this island—beautiful nature and delicious food. The only thing I didn’t like this time was that some people were going into the fountain pool, which isn’t allowed. Security should take steps to prevent this.
M A — Google review
Visited Toronto Island Park around 3 PM in October with friends. We spent about two hours walking around and watched a beautiful sunset. It was a bit cold, and there isn’t much to do during the colder months besides walking, grabbing a coffee or snack at the small café, or checking out the restaurant that was open. The views of the city and lake were great, but overall it’s a quiet, simple experience in the off-season. Also, in winter the ferry doesn’t reach the main island, so you have to walk about 30 minutes to get there
Denis F — Google review
had a great time at Toronto Islands. The place is peaceful and has amazing views of the city skyline. I went during the air show, and watching it from the island was a perfect choice. The planes flying over the water and skyline made it a great experience. We also had a small barbecue there, which added to the fun. The open space, fresh air, and calm surroundings made it a relaxing day. The ferry ride to the island was smooth and easy. Overall, it was a lovely day, good weather, exciting air show, tasty food, and a perfect spot to enjoy nature while still being close to the city.
Krati V — Google review
Beautiful islands to enjoy some quality time with friends and family. It’s an easy ferry ride or water taxi from the harbours. During weekend a very busy place, so a wait for ferry is long. However if you wish to save time, get a water taxi which is quick for some extra dollars. Overall the island is very clean with great sights and activities for everyone. It’s huge with different sides of it. Centre island is the main attraction for a new person or tourist. Easy to walk around or rent a cycle for better experience. Lots of places to get a quick drink or snacks. Lot of signage’s available and its self explanatory. Best views of Toronto skyline from the islands.
Gaurav A — Google review
The ferries will take you to and from 3 different islands that are interconnected. The ride was smooth and short but the view is beautiful. The one we went to called Center Island has more recreation activities such as biking, picnicking or just taking a stroll while watching the birds and other wildlife. It also has a beach. The other two are Ward’s Island and Harlan’s Point are more residential but also has their own activities too.

The CN Tower is a must-see landmark in Toronto, standing at over 553 meters tall. It's known for its glass floor and revolving eatery offering panoramic views of the city. Visitors can also experience EdgeWalk, a thrilling hands-free walk around the outside ledge of the tower. As one of the Seven Wonders of the Modern World, it's a Canadian icon and symbol of Toronto.
Our visit to the 360 Restaurant at the CN Tower was truly unforgettable. From the moment we stepped in, we were welcomed with warm smiles and an energy that matched the breathtaking views from above Toronto. There’s something magical about dining while slowly rotating high above the city — the lights, the skyline, and Lake Ontario shimmering in the distance made the whole evening feel like a dream. But what made the experience even more special was the outstanding service. A very special thank you to Lisa, who took care of us with so much attention, kindness, and professionalism. She made us feel not just like guests, but like VIPs. Every recommendation she gave was spot-on, and her positive energy added such a good vibe to the evening. The food was exquisite — beautifully plated, full of flavor, and clearly prepared with care. Each dish complemented the atmosphere perfectly. Pairing the fine dining with the spectacular 360-degree view is something I would recommend to anyone visiting Toronto. This was more than just a dinner — it was an experience filled with emotion, beauty, and joy. If you’re ever in Toronto, you absolutely must visit the CN Tower and treat yourself to the 360 Restaurant. And if you’re lucky enough to have Lisa take care of you, you’ll know exactly what I mean when I say it’s a night you’ll always remember. Definitely recommend this as a highlight of your trip to Canada!
Miguel C — Google review
A overwhelming experience for me as a photography buff. The views offered are simply awesome, you can see the surrounding as if from flight, don't forget to make a time lapse movie that would make you proud. CN tower of Toronto, being the highest man made structure from its completion in 1976 to 2007 when Burz Khalifa became tallest. The highest level that a visitor can go is 457 meters from bottom, total height being 553 meters. There is a revolving restaurant at 355 meters. You can sit near the window and enjoy the 360° view where skyscraper buildings of 60+ floors appear small below while dining. The height affects air pressure and feels like being in a flight. The views from CN tower lift while ascending itself is quite rewarding. You are arriving main deck, you get free access to observation deck and glass window floor to look through and stand on the glass panels which offer the view if ground floor from 350 meter level. There you can buy the top deck ticket for 12 CAD and ride another lift to go to 450 meter level which is highest visitors can go. Nice view from there also, you can see two rail stations, lots of highways, Billy airport and numorous skyscrapers along with beautiful lake. You can also feel little sway at top deck that adds to the wow. Tip - you can reserve the table at 360 restaurant in advance, can skip the line while entering tower, get free access to main observation deck and very good dining experience on the price of minimum 75 CAD spent per head in restaurant, where as you can buy a 80 CAD ticket for CN tower entry, long line with free vitamin D greets you and you have to spend extra on food with limited seating, access to only main deck levels and still have to pay 12 CAD extra for top deck. So, booking a table in 360 works out to be more rewarding.

Obviously this place has an amazing view. I ordered an old fashioned. It was perfectly made. My food was amazing. I got the multi-course meal that included an appetizer, the main dish, and a dessert. It was definitely on the pricey side. For one person with a good solid tip and of course the alcoholic drink. My total bill was about $160. That said the view is amazing. The service was great. The food was amazing. Absolutely worth every bit of it and it was a great evening to myself with a beautiful sunset. I highly recommend getting reservations and I would also recommend to look and see what time is sunset is and get there about a half hour before
Richard C — Google review
We enjoyed the beauty of the tower. We opted for the trip to the top. It's a tad overrated. The clouds at the top made getting good pictures a difficult task. The elevator is super crowded, but very fast. The staff members are kind, respectful and helpful. I think going to the observation deck would have been a better option for us. It is lit beautifully at night from the outside. The glass floor and big beautiful images behind it were fun!
Amie S — Google review
I visited the CN Tower with my family a few years back, and the view from the top is absolutely beautiful and breathtaking. You really get to see the city from a whole new perspective. Standing on the glass floor was both exciting and a little nerve-wracking. I definitely felt a bit anxious looking straight down, but it was a fun and memorable experience. It’s one of those iconic spots in Toronto that’s worth visiting once. Whether you go during the day or at night, the view is stunning either way.
NJ C — Google review
Amazing experience at the CN Tower! The view is absolutely breathtaking — you can see the entire city and beyond. The atmosphere is relaxed yet exciting, and everything is super well organized. Perfect spot for photos, sunsets, or just taking in the beauty from above. Totally worth the visit — a must-see for anyone in town!
Stephan S — Google review
We bought our tickets online, the process was super easy and fast. We visited on a weekend, and everything went smoothly from start to finish. Depending on your ticket, you can visit different levels, and the views are absolutely stunning! We also ate at a buffet-style place inside (not the main restaurant), and the food was good — tasty and reasonably priced. Overall, it was a great experience, and I definitely recommend visiting the CN Tower if you’re in Toronto!
Corinna S — Google review
CN Tower was a must choice for us before arriving and did not disappoint. We chose to do the revolving restaurant, so we could relax, enjoy a meal with great views and maybe a glass or two of wine. We received a great experience; decent food, excellent service and an amazing revolving view. We also had access to the viewing platform which not only can you see out, you can also see through - a glass floor over the top of the Blue Jays basebell stadium. It was pricey as a restaurant but the balance of the experience and meals we wanted it was well worth the money for us. It has a large decent gift shop as well and was the must do / top choice of our Toronto day. We will come back and probably do the restaurant again - possibly the evening next time.

The Royal Ontario Museum is Canada's largest and most comprehensive museum, offering a wide range of attractions that make multiple visits a must. The museum features sprawling natural history and world cultures galleries, including dinosaur fossil skeletons in the Age of Dinosaurs exhibit. Visitors can explore the Samuel European Galleries to learn about European style through the ages, as well as the Life in Crisis: Schad Gallery of Biodiversity for an extensive natural history collection.
The Royal Ontario Museum is simply amazing. The mix of modern architecture with classic spaces makes it unique from the moment you arrive. The exhibits are very complete and diverse: from dinosaurs and fossils to ancient cultures from around the world and contemporary art. It’s a place where both kids and adults can learn, as every gallery is full of fascinating details. The staff is friendly and always willing to help. The facilities are spacious, clean, and well organized. Without a doubt, it’s a must-visit in Toronto and the perfect place to spend several hours discovering history, science, and culture all in one place.

The Royal Ontario Museum is truly a gem in Toronto. My visit was such a great experience — there’s so much to see and learn, and every section is beautifully curated. From natural history and world cultures to art and interactive exhibits, there’s something for everyone. What stood out to me was how well-organized everything is. The displays are detailed and engaging, and you can spend hours exploring without feeling rushed. The building itself is stunning, and the overall atmosphere makes you want to keep coming back. It’s a perfect place for families, friends, or even a solo day out. Whether you’re interested in history, science, or culture, the ROM offers it all under one roof. I left feeling amazed and inspired — highly recommend visiting if you’re in Toronto!

My best friend and I arrived here for the free Tuesday night at the rom and where pleasantly surprised by the orderly way I. Which ticket holders entered the museum, it was swift and easy and we were on having fun in no time! The ROM is an immaculately curated space that can actually take a very long time to get through when it comes to viewing exhibits. I was born and raised here in Toronto and I’ve still yet to see all of the ROM in its entirety. This is what makes it worth the price. Every exhibit is thought out and so well put together with care and attention to detail. Every time I am at the rom I learn so many new things about the world and the layout of the rom makes learning to information seamless and easy. Washrooms and water fountains are very easy to find and in abundance so I was never panicked trying to look around for a washroom. The ROM also has new all gendered washrooms which are luxurious and a great addition to this museum. There is great accessibility here and the elevators and seats are always easy to find. I typically avoid the cafes and cafeterias here as they can be quite overpriced but it’s been a long time since I visited the cafe so it could’ve changed… Overall I always enjoy my time at the ROM and recommend you book a ticket weather you are a newcomer or someone familiar to the city, give it a try!

I visited the Royal Ontario Museum last week on a weekday, and it was such a fun experience! I’ve always heard good things about the ROM, but seeing everything in person was even better. Since it wasn’t too crowded, I got to take my time exploring the galleries and really enjoy each section. The dinosaur exhibits were super impressive — they’re definitely a highlight. I also loved the cultural displays from different parts of the world, especially the Asian and Egyptian sections. There’s just so much to see that a few hours didn’t feel enough. The architecture of the building itself is also worth appreciating — the mix of classic and modern design makes it feel unique. The staff were friendly, and everything was well-organized and clean. Overall, it’s such a great spot for anyone visiting Toronto or even locals who haven’t been in a while. Whether you’re into history, art, or science, there’s something for everyone. I left feeling both entertained and a little smarter — totally worth it! We will visit again with my family.

The Royal Ontario Museum, Canada’s most famous museum, is located in the heart of Toronto. With its vast exhibition halls and impressive collections, this place stands as a true fortress of culture. Opened in 1914, the museum displays more than 18 million works of art from different regions and time periods around the world. These works are showcased in dozens of diverse galleries such as dinosaurs, birds, the Middle East, China, Egypt, toy soldiers, and world treasures. It’s not possible to explore the Royal Ontario Museum in just a few hours. Therefore, if you have the time, I recommend dedicating at least a full day — or ideally two days — to visiting the museum.

The Royal Ontario Museum is amazing! There’s so much to see, from incredible dinosaur skeletons to beautiful cultural artifacts. My absolute favorite is the animal floor, it’s so fun and fascinating! My second favorite has to be the stones and gems floor, it’s absolutely stunning. The exhibits are really well put together, and it’s easy to spend hours exploring. The museum has such a cool vibe, fun, interesting, and inspiring at the same time. Definitely a must-visit if you love learning and discovering new things! 🏛️✨

There's a lot going on here. If you are really into museums and want to look at most things then plan to spend four or more hours here. There's dedication to natural history for animals and civilizations. Good assortment of unique pieces. There is a lot of pottery, more than you'd think for sure. The collection of Greek and Roman busts is impressive along with the number of tombs. The dinosaur exhibit wasn't able to be fully seen due to renovations.
Brandon E — Google review
I visited the Royal Ontario Museum on October 10th, and it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment I stepped inside, I was struck by the scale and diversity of the exhibits. The museum’s blend of art, culture, and natural history is truly world-class. The Dinosaur Gallery was a standout for me, with its towering skeletons and interactive displays that brought prehistoric life to vivid reality. I also appreciated the Ancient civilizations section, which showcased artifacts from Egypt, Rome, and Asia with impressive detail and care. The First Nations exhibitions were powerful and thoughtfully curated-a meaningful tribute to indigenous history and culture. I’d recommend buying tickets online in advance to take advantage of their Plan Ahead Pricing, which can save you money and guarantee your entry time.

Allan Gardens Conservatory is a stunning oasis nestled in the heart of Toronto, where history, architecture, and nature beautifully intertwine. This remarkable park features an impressive collection of plants from around the globe housed within a magnificent cast-iron and glass structure that dates back to 1910. Spanning 16,000 square feet, Allan Gardens boasts several Victorian-era greenhouses including a tropical house, orchid house, temperate house, arid house, and even a children's conservatory.
Absolutely beautiful! Great place to visit. It's definitely fun if you're really into exotic tropical plants. There is much to see, and the variety inside is just gorgeous; it feels like paradise. Cozy and warm experience during the winter, and the decor is amazing and seems well-maintained and taken care of. My husband and I were here 30 years ago for our wedding now, and it still looks wonderful. Would recommend going earlier on a weekday to avoid the crowds. Check it out and enjoy the scenery.

Very nice park and green house. There are two big sized green house (garden) in the park. A lot of healthy plants inside the green house and you can just walk around freely to enjoy admiring the plants there. For example you can see some cactus plants, money trees and lots of different types of plants that i cannot named them all here. This garden is a very chill place. You can just sit down and relax on a bench inside to enjoy a warm afternoon. One of the green house has small ponds and there were some turtles and fishes, also a little fountain as well. A very good place for family to visit.

Don’t let ongoing renovations stop you from visiting. These free public gardens are beautiful to wonder through and enjoy a peaceful moment to yourself. I enjoyed seeing the turtles sunbathing by the waterwheel. At one point I spotted a plump squirrel in one of the greenhouses, little guy must be living good in there. The dedication and time put into these overflowing garden is incredible, and well worth the 15 minutes it takes to walk through the greenhouses.

Allan Gardens may be undergoing renovations, but it’s still a fantastic spot to visit. The variety of plants, trees, and other species is impressive, making it a visual delight. The greenhouse offers a warm tropical escape, perfect for a break from the cold or to explore nature in warmer climates. Best of all, there’s no admission fee, and it’s open from 9 AM to 5 PM. They also host community events and plant sales! The staff is incredibly helpful and knowledgeable, contributing to an overall wonderful and educational experience. I can't wait to return once the renovations are complete. Definitely worth a visit!

This is my favorite spot to visit. It is free to enter. They always updating plants and putting up new flower sculpture. The staff are friendly and take great care of the turtles, plants and fish. Its a great place to visit with families they have a awesome playground . They also have a farmers market on Saturday from 10 am to 2pm inside that is super cool.

Beautiful gem in the city! Greenhouses have so many unique and thriving plants, it feels like you are walking through a different world. Be sure to check out both entrances if the connection is still closed. One is by the playground and the other is closer to the dog park. Highly recommend!

Exotic plants, turtles, fish. Gardens are in great shape. They even had a cute Christmas display with a red and white train arrangement and an actual train driving around in one corner. And for free?! A great stop for an afternoon. We visited in December and while the place was under construction so we didn't get to see everything. The center section was closed so we had to walk around the outside to get to the other houses. There is on street parking and a park nearby.

Toronto Botanical Garden is a serene and picturesque site located in the city's north end, spanning 4 acres and featuring 17 themed gardens. It offers tranquil water features, vibrant blooms, and a green-certified building with impressive glass pavilions for events. The garden is committed to connecting people with nature and provides a unique wedding venue option in Toronto. Visitors can also enjoy nearby parks along the way, making it an ideal spot for nature walks and picnics.
This was way better than I thought it would be. As you're walking through the winding paths of various material (stone, wood, dirt), you can feel the silence in the air while smelling the aroma of flowers. The winding stairs to get a 360 view was a nice touch. I'm sure they're busy during the wedding season. The gift shop was not disappointing, and the prices are reasonable. I purchased some beautiful birthday cards which had pressed flowers on it that was created by the Pressed Flower Group for the Toronto Botanical Garden for $6.99. Way cheaper than what the drug mart sells. I was very pleased with my day out and I'm looking forward to going back again!

It’s a nice botanical garden albeit on a smaller scale comparing to Montreal Botanical Garden. Took up to an hour to check out the gardens without hiking far down the trail. Modest parking fee and ample parking lot, there is a cafe on premises. Worthwhile visit when gardens are in bloom.

Such a lovely and peaceful spot to wander, no matter the season. The grounds are well maintained, the landscaping is beautifully planned, and the little mazes are a delight. I even spotted butterflies which made the visit extra special. Lots of benches and railings on the stairs make it accessible and comfortable, though it is disappointing that parking isn’t free even with an accessible permit. Overall, a calm and thoughtful place to enjoy nature.
Jason&Sandra — Google review
The Toronto Botanical Garden is a beautiful and budget-friendly oasis right in the city. Entry to the garden is completely free, making it an incredibly accessible spot for a tranquil escape. The grounds themselves are stunning, featuring intricate floral and plant pathways that are a delight to wander through. I especially enjoyed the tranquil river with a charming wooden bridge, adding a lovely, picturesque element to the scenery. If you need a break, the on-site cafe offers reasonably priced food and drinks. While the garden is free, do be aware that parking is a flat rate of $8, or $4 per but this is a small fee for an entire day of beauty and relaxation. It's a highly recommended spot for nature lovers and anyone looking for a peaceful stroll.

Visited the Toronto Botanical Garden on Mother’s Day, and while the experience was lovely overall, be prepared for crowds if you’re visiting on a special occasion. The parking lot was completely full, and we had to wait almost 2 hours just to find a spot. It turns out there was an event happening, which probably added to the number of visitors. Once we finally got inside, though, it was worth the wait. The were so many gorgeous flowers and peaceful walking paths. Despite the crowd, the place still felt serene in its own way. A perfect spot to enjoy nature and take beautiful photos. Tip: If you’re visiting on a busy day, come early or consider alternative parking nearby. Would love to come back on a quieter day! 🌷

Today is Labour Day, and I found myself wondering what a visit to the Toronto Botanical Garden (TBG) might be like. Would it be swarming with visitors? As it turned out, the experience was thoroughly pleasant—lively but not overcrowded. We began at the TBG Shop, a charming gift store nestled near the entrance. The staff member at the cash register was friendly and courteous, and kindly informed me that while the gardens remain open until dusk, the shop closes earlier at 4:30 p.m. The shop itself is a delightful trove of keepsakes and curiosities: fridge magnets, an array of puzzles, elegant, pleated umbrellas, scented pump soaps, potted plants (sold separately), plush stuffed animals, and other thoughtfully curated items perfect for souvenirs or gifts. Wandering along the garden’s meticulously maintained paths, I found the interplay of shade and sunlight created a truly pleasant atmosphere, even as the heat lingered. Visitors could transition easily between dappled coolness and radiant warmth, choosing comfort at every turn. Small, discreet yet sturdy labels revealed both the formal and colloquial names of the botanical wonders we encountered (see attached photos of Dahlia pinnata ‘FireBurst’ and Impatiens hawkeri ‘Pink Flame’). The poor FireBurst bore a visible hole—evidence of a recent insect visitor. Beyond the main promenade, a long glass enclosure, reminiscent of a greenhouse but seemingly reserved for plant recovery and marked EMPLOYEES ONLY, stood quietly apart. From outside, I managed to photograph a few plants within—specimens seemingly awaiting extra care or temporarily set aside to recover, shielded from the casual gaze or curious touch of visitors. There was a palpable sense of isolation there, quietly reminiscent of a time—just five years ago—when people themselves were isolated. I mused: if plants could feel, how might they respond to this seclusion? Would they relish the peace, protected behind glass as they healed, or long to rejoin the vibrancy of their healthier companions and the gentle bustle of human admirers? The answer was unknowable, but the thought lingered. A highlight for me at TBG is the grand weeping willow, its branches cascading in green abundance. At its base, I photographed two women, evidently moved by the tree’s majestic presence—one holding a blue umbrella, the other a red. Nearby, a soft, grassy meadow hosted families picnicking in the shade. Women wore intricately patterned, floral garments that flowed gracefully with their gentle movements, despite the stillness of the air. Children darted between clusters of plants interspersed throughout the well-manicured lawn, before returning to the safety of their families. (See attached photographs of the picnic area.) Afterward, we visited the Dandelion Café. For clarity, it bears little resemblance to the photo on the TBG website: here, bright yellow umbrellas cast cheerful shade over sturdy exposed aggregate concrete tables with attached seating. Shaded tables were few, but we managed to find one. The line for food was longer than expected, but given that it was Labour Day, this was perhaps inevitable. Still, the wait was made pleasant by polite patrons—one of whom joked about us being told not to “block the line.” Our order: two servings of Quiche Lorraine and ice cream in a cup. (See attached photographs.) I chose Raspberry Sorbet, while my mother opted for Vanilla. Both the quiche and the sorbet were delicious, with generous portions. The washroom facilities next to the Dandelion Café were adequate, though I believe there is room for improvement—hence a deduction of one star from my review. If you are seeking an escape from the city without venturing far, I wholeheartedly recommend a visit to TBG. In my opinion, this is the most delightful season for it.

Evergreen Brick Works is a vibrant eco-oriented complex in Toronto, Canada. It was originally the Don Valley brickworks, which played a crucial role in building the city. After its closure in the 1980s, efforts began to transform the site into an ecological center and social enterprise. Today, it stands as the first large-scale community environmental center in Canada. The space features a weekend farmer's market, gardening store, event space, and nature trails for visitors to explore.
Enjoyed my visit. Plenty of walking trails Took a detour off the main trails. There were some challenging climbs and descents. Was supposed to do the free Nature tour but the tour guide did not show up. Did the historical tour instead which was nice. The volunteer tour guide was quite knowledgeable. Would visit again. Take note that parking is $10. Easier to download the app and pay there.

Came here to celebrate and anniversary, and adored this place. Brickworks has so much going on; the staff, shops and food are lovely. There were a lot of plants, flowers, bulbs, and seeds for sale which I'm looking forward to getting more of soon! Missed the weekend market but hope to catch another one. Beautiful scenic walking trails. It felt clean and safe here, we'd love to come back. Used the public shuttle, finding the pick up point was a little tough from the station but we got pointed in the right direction. It looked like there was some parking on site as well. Pleasant trip over and back. We went earlier in October during the maze, mums, and pumpkin time when some of the leaves had started changing but it wasn't too cold yet. Really enjoyed taking photographs here, would like to see it in the different seasons. Definitely recommended by our family!

It’s a lovely corner in downtown Toronto with local shops, food tents, lovely hiking trail, bike trail, little pond with ducks and geese, and overall a lot of greenery. It is pretty beginner friendly has patches for advanced hikers too. The local shops here have some really cool, albeit a little expensive items for home. We got some fridge magnets, honey, ground coffee and also some hot chocolate and food from different shops! I visited here in Fall, definitely planning to visit again in the Summer for a picnic with friends and family!

Gorgeous park, I love the free tours of the kilns and the nature reserve/reclamation area! I’ve been twice since moving to Toronto and have loved it both times. It’s great to pack a little picnic and have a hike in the city, or to buy a little snack from the cafe!

This was a wonderful getaway close to and from the Downtown area! The old mine being revitalised as a green area is so great and lovely to see! There are some plaques for those who are interested in reading a bit about it, but it's mostly for you to walk, run, cycle and stroll through at your own pace! Luckily, it's only about an hour's worth of walking (going around the lake). But it is also linked to a neighbouring park via a trail on the west side, so you can always go there and back! Parking is decently priced, and I'd recommend 1h for just Evergreen, but perhaps 2h or more if you plan to spend an afternoon in total. The gift shops are also quite nice, but the park is really what you're here for. Have fun!

We went to Evergreen Brick Works on a Sunday afternoon. The location was easy access from the highway and surrounded by multiple paid large parking areas. Two hours was $8 and full day was $10 for the parking we parked. Definitely dog friendly and family friendly park. Lots of open space for kids to run around, there was also an indoor skateboarding class for kids. For sure the kids will have a lot of activity and funs. There's a restaurant and a garden center. The trails were unpaved which is usual the stairs were in okay condition so you won't get hurt because of the bad maintenance. Lots of wildlife which was nice to see. However be careful when you are walking in the trail especially in woods. We saw a small snake (one of my video and last picture) on the side of the trail looks like a tree branch. Parents or pets owners definitely should be more careful.

Evergreen Brick works is a former quarry and industrial site that has been converted into a city park. The industrial buildings have been restored and converted into an environmentally focused community and cultural center. It is an excellent destination for a hike with family in an urban setting. During the fall season, it becomes the perfect place to experience the beautiful and vibrant autumn hues. The trails are easy to hike with young kids and provide a spectacular view of the changing foliage. The view point at the end of trail offers a great view of the Toronto city skyline from a distance. The dense plantation in the Don Valley area offers a beautiful natural scenic view. Overall it is a great place to spend quality time in the outdoors in the middle of the city for tourists and residents alike.

Great free spot to check out in the city and makes for a great date spot. They have a farmers market on Saturday and when I came on a Sunday we stumbled upon a group of dog trainers. Surrounded by a very nice trail that you could spend an entire day walking around. There is a paid parking lot and head up it can get busy. Would recommend coming here to explore.

Nature & Parks
Ripley's Aquarium of Canada, located in downtown Toronto near the Rogers Centre and CN Tower, is a modern and expansive indoor aquarium showcasing thousands of marine species. From barracudas to rays, jellyfish, octopi, moray eels, and giant sharks, the aquarium offers a diverse range of sea creatures. Visitors can enjoy educational behind-the-scenes tours, interactive displays, and even in-water experiences with Cownose and Southern Stingrays.
Fabulous fabulous fabulous. An aquarium whose glasses are as clean as it could be, no fishy smell and despite of its size it is quite difficult to maintain that. There is a huge filtration plant at work that contributes to it but that is only one part. The staff efforts are the main hero here. That's first fabulous. Second fabulous is the variety of fresh water and marine life available to see. From tiny fish and other life forms, to huge animals that are a sight to behold in a aquarium environment. Just visit to see the variety. Lots if information displayed about natural habitat, needs of conservation etc. And the third fabulous the concept itself. The glass tunnel inside tanks where you can enter to see the creatures all around yourself, the moving conveyor to felicitate the smooth flow of visitors without crowding or obstruction of view, the open tank concept where you can dip your hand in water to touch some of the creatures, the decor that is inspired by marine life forms and upkeep, all are good. There is a separate section for aquatic or amphibious, reptiles like crocs and caymans. Plenty of offerings for children to play constructively and a inside eatery as well souvenir shop to explore. Highly recommend. Buy tickets in advance to avoid wait, open time tickets available on line as well on spot.

Ripley’s Aquarium is an amazing place for families. My son loved watching the stingrays — you can see them from above (bird’s-eye view) in open water, just a few feet away. The kids’ section has a small filtration system for play purposes, where children can learn how water moves through the aquarium. It’s educational, fun, and a great way for kids to explore and understand how filtration works. The place is clean, well-organized, and the staff are friendly and helpful. Highly recommended for both kids and adults!

It is a fascinating and immersive experience that showcases an incredible variety of marine life from around the world. The layout is well-designed, allowing visitors to walk through tunnels surrounded by sharks, rays, and colorful fish, making it both educational and awe-inspiring. The interactive exhibits, like the touch tanks and jellyfish displays, are especially engaging for children and families. Even though it’s mind-blowing, the entry fee is quite expensive. Overall, Ripley’s Aquarium is a must-visit attraction that offers a perfect blend of entertainment, education, and wonder for all ages.

Awesome for all ages. Plenty of seating arrangements for elders. Touching the sting ray is the best thing as a climax kids can have. My kids had an amazing day. 9:00 a.m. Toronto My CityPASS said I could visit Ripley’s Aquarium anytime, so with an hour to spare before my CN Tower reservation, I decided to head inside. I asked the girl scanning tickets how long it usually took to get through. She told me about an hour and a half. It was Monday morning, and the place was completely empty. It was quiet, the kind of quiet that hums in your chest. Just the low music and the faint whoosh of water cycling through the tanks. The blue light made everything look like it was breathing. I wandered slowly, taking in the small faces of the fish and the strange calm that filled the rooms. There was even a “quiet tent” set up for anyone who needed a break. I understood why. If I had another encounter with that sawfish staring at me like it was judging my entire existence, I’d need it too. For a quick stop, it ended up being one of the most peaceful hours of my trip so far.

They make it accessible especially with the free admission on the first Wednesday of each month! However you can also enjoy it with less people or on your own time with paid admission which is quite reasonable. I have to say the volunteers and staff are very knowledgeable and helpful. Modern yet very confusing. I was not able to find the art peaces numbered as a must see in the AGO map. The rooms are confusing for first time attendance. However, I am sure after few visits it will be more familiar. Price is excellent - $40 for annual membership. Cafeteria prices are ridiculous.. As for exhibits - some are excellent and some - well this is were tastes collide. It is nice though, that there are a few exhibits at the same time. Nevertheless, I recommend everyone to visit AGO. Go train Union Station is only two subway stops away or approximately 1.7 km walk, which is truly doable and makes it a nice stroll.

I went to AGO (Art Gallery of Ontario) today, and it is a must visit when in Toronto… Beautiful arts installed from famous artists from here and there! I will not ruin the excitement for you, so just goooo! You can thank me later… Ahhh, what an amazing day! I love love love everything at AGO! I wish they acknowledge senior discount though… Anyway, thanks for being there with all the amazing staff I came across with!

I suggested you to buy a membership as supporting and also you can visit it anytime in a year because i don’t think spending 4hrs at AGO is enough for you. They have 4 levers and each level is like a maze with full of art. Trust me. you think you can spend a day there is good enough?. Nope! Ton of art and events in a year you wouldn’t be miss out if you enjoy art and love spending time walking.

We visited the Art Gallery of Ontario and had an amazing experience! The gallery is huge and beautifully curated, with a fantastic collection of Canadian and international art. Walking through the exhibits, we were inspired by the creativity and talent on display. The building itself is stunning, with modern architecture and well-designed spaces that make exploring the art even more enjoyable. The staff are friendly and helpful, and there are plenty of opportunities to learn more about the pieces and artists. A must-visit for anyone who loves art and culture!

This is a superb museum. We arrived hungry and had a first class lunch at the Bistro (an amazing celleric soup, salmon nicoise (very tasty), and lemon cake with pear, raspberry and mascarpone. All for $49 Canadian. Then on to the exhibits. The Blackwood prints are outstanding! He created amazing effects with many different techniques and passes through the press. The results created fantastic images of people in nature. These are an absolute must-see in Toronto. The exhibit even had scent boxes to experience what his seaside scenes and his studio smelled like. That was a first in our museum experiences. Bravo for innovation!

Took advantage of the free day which is on the first Wednesday of every month during summer, the queue was pretty long. Once we entered we got the wrist watch for the Art rate monitor which is a cool way to know which art really resonated with me and got my heart rate up. The exhibits are divided into floors and rooms , some interesting some not so much but for free it’s worth a visit. Everything was nice, the only damper was when a security lady just picked on me for no reason to not take pix and videos of there are people around , although I did see crowds everywhere and so many people taking pic and video but no one else seem to school them about this, so not sure why I was picked on! Besides that, elevators were mostly down with just one elevator functioning in area and huge crowds it was tiring for my elderly parent.
Farah S — Google review
The museum features a modest selection of classical works and early paintings by Claude Monet and Picasso. However, its true allure lies in the architectural experience—most notably the wooden spiral staircase, which evokes the fluidity of water, reminiscent of Frank Lloyd Wright’s organic designs. Equally captivating is the expansive collection of Henry Moore’s sculptures, which anchor the museum’s identity. Beyond these highlights, much of the collection can be browsed quickly. Still, the visit is well worth 1–2 hours.

Nathan Phillips Square, situated in the heart of downtown Toronto, is a bustling public space known for hosting events year-round. In the winter, it transforms into a lively ice rink. The square features a reflecting pool and the iconic TORONTO sign, making it a popular spot for photos. Surrounded by landmarks like City Hall and the Eaton Centre, it's an ideal location to soak in the city's vibrant atmosphere and explore nearby attractions.
Nathan Phillips Square is one of the most iconic landmarks in downtown Toronto. It’s always full of life, with events, markets, and cultural festivals happening throughout the year. In the summer, the open space with its fountains is a great place to relax, while in the winter the skating rink under the Toronto sign makes it a magical spot for families and visitors. The location is very central, right in front of City Hall, making it easy to stop by if you’re exploring downtown. It can get quite busy, especially during big events, but that’s part of its charm. Overall, it’s a must-visit place to experience the energy and diversity of Toronto.

Nathan Phillips Square is such a beautiful spot right in the heart of Toronto. You can walk around, see lots of landmarks, and just enjoy the atmosphere without spending a dime. We were there recently during our trip to Toronto and really loved it — it’s a great place to take photos and just soak in the city vibe. And of course it’s dog-friendly.

Nathan Phillips Square is the vibrant heart of downtown Toronto and a must-see landmark. The square is always lively, surrounded by iconic buildings like Toronto’s City Hall and the Old City Hall. The giant illuminated TORONTO sign is the main highlight—it’s a perfect photo spot both during the day and at night when it lights up beautifully. Depending on the season, the square changes its character: ❄️ In winter, it transforms into a magical ice-skating rink. ☀️ In summer, it hosts concerts, food festivals, and cultural events. The reflecting pool, open space, and the Freedom Arches make it not just a tourist attraction but also an important gathering place for the city. ✅ Central location, easy to reach ✅ Great for photos and city vibes ✅ Always something happening year-round Whether you’re a tourist or a local, Nathan Phillips Square is a place that truly captures the spirit of Toronto.

Nathan Phillips Square is Toronto’s go-to gathering spot: the TORONTO sign, City Hall’s curved towers, and a great view of Old City Hall. The Reflecting Pool becomes a lively skating rink in winter, when the lights make it feel extra magical. The rest of the year brings markets, concerts, rallies, and pop-up art under the Freedom Arches. Expect food trucks and street vendors, not full restaurants. Easy transit access (Osgoode or Queen) and close to the Eaton Centre and theatre district

Popular attraction when visiting in Toronto, Canada! In winter, the pond is turned into an ice skating rink. Close to the Old and New City Halls. Nice photo OP at the Toronto sign!

As you walk along Queen Street, you'll notice two big curvy looking towers, a Toronto sign and what looks like a coin fountain thing. ⛲ This vibrant, atmospheric, not so hidden gem will bring you an amazing time at any time whatsoever. 😁 Juicy delicious hot dog and burger shops lined up near for when you're hungry or thirsty. 🌭💧 Skate rentals at that corner building for when your brave enough to get on the ice at winter. ⛸️ All the time during the year, they feature amazing festivals such as an Arabic Festival that I went to and enjoyed. 👳🏻‍♀️ The food will draw you to it and the music is amazing. It's decorated during Christmas season, where we learn the true meaning of Christmas? Is our city being less mean to each other than normally. 🌟🌲 And even when there's nothing going on, you can still talk to the very friendly people that hang out there and check out the cool canoe art at the North facing left perspective side. 🛶 Come here to Nathan Phillips Square, and enjoy your stay. You may as well considering everything else in Toronto is very expensive. 🌟😁 Feel free to reach out for any help regarding Toronto, the GTA and even Simcoe county. 😁😁😁

The Aga Khan Museum, with its striking contemporary architecture, is a unique institution in North America dedicated to showcasing the artistic and scientific contributions of global Muslim communities. The museum's 1,000-piece permanent collection includes intricate objects, drawings, architectural elements, jewelry, and illustrated books from various Islamic civilizations dating back to the tenth century. In addition to its permanent collection, the museum hosts rotating exhibitions and special events that explore diverse aspects of Islamic culture.
I loved the Aga Khan Museum—it presents Islam in a sophisticated and authentic way, just as it truly is. The exhibits feature ancient Islamic details that are rich, meaningful, and deeply inspiring. Most of the staff are elderly, and their kindness and warmth made me feel like I was being welcomed by grandparents. Visiting this museum feels like stepping into another world—calm, spiritual, and beautifully serene. The architecture of the building is truly distinctive, both inside and out. Everything is spotlessly clean, and the choice of colors and the attention to detail are simply exceptional. This is by far the most beautiful museum I have ever visited. I truly appreciate the efforts of every employee working there.
Sara M — Google review
The Aga Khan Museum is honestly one of the most beautiful spots in Toronto. The outside of the building itself is stunning and super peaceful with so much natural light. I felt like I landed in a foreign place. The staff are all friendly and polite, making u feel welcomed into their space. Altough I would wish they can have a staff member at the entrance welcoming in guests and leading them to checkin. The exhibits are amazing — you really get to see the richness of Islamic art and history, and everything is presented in such a modern, thoughtful way for all kinds of audiences to learn and explore. The gardens and reflecting pool outside are perfect for just sitting and relaxing after walking through the galleries. There is a small cafe inside as well. Overall, such a unique and inspiring place. Definitely recommend if you’re looking for something unique and meaningful to do in the city.

Aga Khan Museum is a stunning cultural gem in Toronto, offering a deep and inspiring look into Islamic art, culture, and history. The architecture itself is breathtaking — bright, modern, and full of light, perfectly complementing the exhibits inside. The museum’s collection is beautifully curated, showcasing artifacts, manuscripts, and art pieces from around the world. The temporary exhibitions are always engaging and thought-provoking. The staff are knowledgeable, and the guided tours add great context to what you see. Don’t miss the peaceful courtyard and the Diwan restaurant, which serves delicious Middle Eastern cuisine in a lovely setting. A perfect place for anyone who appreciates art, history, and cultural exploration — serene, educational, and beautifully designed.

I was genuinely impressed by the Aga Khan Museum. It features two beautifully curated floors with a variety of exhibitions that are both informative and visually stunning. The surrounding park is peaceful and well-maintained - perfect for a stroll before or after your visit. The gift shop also has a lovely selection of unique items. During our visit, we even saw a wedding taking place, which added to the charm of the whole experience. A wonderful place to explore art, culture, and history.

The Aga Khan Museum in Toronto is a true cultural gem that deserves every bit of a 5-star rating! From the moment you step in, the stunning architecture by Fumihiko Maki captivates with its blend of modern lines and Eastern-inspired elegance, creating a serene and inspiring atmosphere. The museum’s exhibits, focusing on the art, culture, and history of Islamic civilizations, are breathtakingly diverse and meticulously curated. From ancient Middle Eastern artifacts to exquisite calligraphy and textiles, each piece tells a unique story. The temporary exhibitions are always fresh and thought-provoking, offering new perspectives with every visit. The Persian-inspired courtyard garden is a tranquil oasis, perfect for reflection or a peaceful stroll. The staff are incredibly professional and welcoming, and the guided tours are enriched by their deep knowledge. The café and gift shop are also top-notch, perfectly complementing the museum’s ambiance. As a Toronto resident, I can’t recommend the Aga Khan Museum enough. It’s not just a museum—it’s a journey through the rich history and artistry of the Islamic world. An absolute must-visit! Five stars all the way!

Spectacular cultural and social experience! We arrived and were welcomed by a very nice gentleman who briefly described the museum. We took the guided tour of the”As the Sun Appears from Behind,” which was absolutely fascinating. It’s a temporary exhibit from the Al Budra award-winning Islamic art. Adding to the vibe, a duo played Islamic music in the courtyard. The restaurant menu (available on the website) looked very tasty. Since we visited between lunch and dinner, we enjoyed the fresh offerings at the cafe. We highly recommend this oasis. It was about 30 minutes by Uber from our hotel in Toronto, but well worth the effort. Also glad to see that the cafe used cutlery produced from plant starch rather than plastic. Oh, don’t miss the signature museum piece “Your Way Begins on the Other Side.” It’s a contemporary work 18’x6’ made with over one million gold plated pins. (See last of photos.) it speaks to the pitfalls and paradoxes encountered on the journey toward spiritual bliss.
Don M — Google review
Located in a cozy complex that is modern and chic, Aga Khan provides a glimpse into the Islamic culture and traditional art that is both astonishingly stunning and intellectually inspiring. We spent the afternoon in the museum and learnt a lot of about the culture. The permanent exhibition brings artefacts from around the world into the building, with many approaching a thousand years of age and still preserved in very good condition. We were slightly disappointed from the fact that the collection is quite limited, and I wasn’t sure if there is a particular story telling in how the museum collection is planned. It was by region and I feel like I did not learn a lot about how Islam was developed in each region and the contrast and the similarity. The special exhibition we saw was from the calligraphy and we did learn more about the specifics of it, but some of the information was overlapped with the permanent exhibition. Overall it was a joyful 1-2 hour visit but it wasn’t a whole afternoon activity.

The Aga Khan Museum is truly a hidden gem in Toronto. From the moment you step onto the beautifully landscaped grounds, you’re transported into a space of serenity, culture, and architectural elegance. The building itself is stunning—minimalist, modern, and filled with natural light that complements the exhibits perfectly. The museum houses an incredible collection of Islamic art, textiles, manuscripts, and artifacts from across the Muslim world—some dating back over a thousand years. What I appreciated most was how thoughtfully everything was curated. Every piece has a story that connects the past to the present, showing the richness and diversity of Islamic civilization. The temporary exhibits are always thought-provoking and beautifully designed, and the staff are knowledgeable and welcoming. There’s also a charming café with delicious Middle Eastern-inspired food and a lovely gift shop with unique items. Whether you’re into history, art, architecture, or just looking for a peaceful escape from the city buzz, the Aga Khan Museum is absolutely worth the visit.

Harbourfront Centre is a vibrant cultural hub located along the Toronto waterfront. It hosts a variety of events and festivals throughout the year, including dance performances, art exhibitions, theater shows, and music concerts. The center also offers opportunities for water activities such as boating and sailing. Additionally, visitors can enjoy an outdoor skating rink with views of Lake Ontario, although it is currently closed for construction but will reopen in the future.
Visited the Harbourfront Centre in Toronto this summer with my family and it was such a great experience. The vibe was lively with lots of people around, and you get to see boats on the water and planes flying overhead. The mist water area was a huge hit with the kids — really fun and refreshing on a hot day. There are also art galleries and creative spaces to explore, which are perfect for cooling down. Plenty of restaurants nearby too — we ate at Queen’s Harbour and it was excellent. Definitely a must-visit spot in Toronto if you’re spending time downtown.

Harbourfront Centre is one of Toronto’s most vibrant waterfront destinations. There’s always something happening, from live performances and summer festivals to art exhibitions and cultural events. The area is beautifully maintained, with plenty of walking paths, green spaces, and stunning lake views. You can rent a kayak, enjoy outdoor dining, or simply relax while watching the boats. It’s very family-friendly, with activities for all ages, and it’s easily accessible by public transit. Whether you’re interested in arts, culture, or just a peaceful stroll by the water, Harbourfront Centre is a must-visit spot in the city.

Beautiful experience at the Harbourfront Centre. The water was relaxing and calming, and even got to see some swans. Watching the boats and planes land was a great Sunday activity as a tourist in the city. I definitely recommend visiting at least once. There is also an art gallery with a few exhibits totally free of charge to visit. Can’t wait to be back.

A Must-Visit Spot for Sunset Lovers Just find yourself a spot facing the serene expanse of water and the setting sun, and you’ll feel your worries melt away. There’s something profoundly soothing about watching the horizon blaze with color, surrounded by the gentle sound of waves. It’s the kind of place where you can feel gloriously alone in a crowd, lost in nature’s beauty. A word of practical advice: if you’re carrying food, stay alert! The local seagulls are seasoned thieves, ready to swoop in the moment you glance away. It’s all part of the waterfront charm—but don’t say you weren’t warned! Overall, it’s a wonderful experience for everyone. If you’re single, come here to reflect and find yourself. If you’re married, it’s a place to rediscover the quiet voice of love. And if you have kids, you can soak in the views while they enjoy street food and free games along the promenade. It’s truly a must-visit destination. If you’re coming from farther away, I highly recommend using the GO Train—convenient, scenic, and stress-free.

The Harbourfront is a must-visit destination in Toronto, offering both locals and tourists a peaceful escape from the city's fast pace. You'll be treated to stunning, serene waterfront views and a wide range of activities. Whether you want to walking along the boardwalk, relax by the water, or explore the various events, art exhibits, and food options, there's something for everyone. The summer is especially vibrant, with live music, dance performances, yoga, and artisan markets, making it a welcoming spot for families and individuals alike.

One of the best sunny days of the year, and the pier was lively, food stalls, a plane flying and doing acrobatic moves up in the air. The piers have food stalls and live performances. The food stalls on every pier seemed to follow a bbq skewers motto, or ice cream. Some beer stalls. This particular pier gives you some of the most admired views of Toronto, it's CN Tower, and the newly built glass residential towers. I've come here for years, but this whole area now have been turned into a diverse places to live, and enjoy. The tram line runs along the Water front. But as in Toronto weather goes, do bring a jumper. The weather can change from hot to cold in no time. A good place to bring the kids and enjoy a ride on the ferries going around the water front or to Toronto island. Recommended

The Toronto Music Garden, located in the Harbourfront neighborhood of downtown Toronto, offers a serene escape with stunning views of the CN Tower. Designed by cellist Yo-Yo Ma and landscape architect Julie Moir Messervy, this urban oasis is inspired by Johann Sebastian Bach's Cello Suite No. 1 in G Major. The garden is divided into sections representing the suite's six dance movements, creating a unique and harmonious green space.
Smashing IT! ⛲ An enchanting get away right in the heart of the downtown core and Harbour Front lies nestled a garden to impress the eyes and soul. Take a walk along it's many paths, twist and turns to delight. You almost feel at times that you're over-seas in a sophisticated British Garden. Any time of the day and any time of the year this breath-taking garden will bring calmness to an otherwise hectic and chaotic world. Enjoy the flowers, trees and various benches. Take it all in and remember what it felt to relax in nature's beauty.

Free to see and visit. Very beautiful garden. Well-kept and maintained. There is clearly a theme to the garden and you can follow the signs to get a better understanding to this Garden. The middle has an area which resembles two stages. From time to time there are events or just buskers playing. Nice to walk through for sure. Take your time and enjoy it. The paths are a little narrow. Do not suggest running through here.

What a beautiful place to spend some time on a warm summer day. We got here very easily on the streetcars. There are very nice views of Lake Ontario and the boats docked on the harbor side. Lots of monarch butterflies to see as well. Obviously the main attraction here are the musicians who perform in the park, which really adds a lot to the ambiance.
Ethan — Google review
Such a peaceful and beautiful hidden gem, especially in the summer. The landscaping is stunning with winding paths, lush greenery, and an abundance of flowers. There are always birds singing. It is unique due to its connection to music. Each section of the garden reflects the movement and emotion of the piece. A calm escape in the city!
Daria K — Google review
This is an accessible garden at the waterfront. Along the North edge, is a sidewalk (along Queens Quay) and a wide paved pathway ongoing the Southern edge of this park. There is a winding pathway, throughout the garden. All sections are accessible. There are sections, each with a collective musical theme. There are various plants, natural areas, and others that are groomed and strategically planted to fit with the overall theme. There is an amphitheater atmosphere with accessible areas at the top, and at the front on grass. This garden has free concerts weekly, ( Thurs & Sun. evenings) and other interesting community musicians, throughout the summer. There is some seating throughout the pathways. The terrain is fairly flat, with small cracks, and edges in areas with cobblestone, and similar.
G F — Google review
Very nice and well maintained garden! Beautiful spot for photos - we didn’t attend a music event, but sharing the schedule here for summer2025! Great spot to stop by while riding your bike on the waterfront bike trail.
Bana J — Google review
The garden feels designed for reflection. Winding paths pull you gently through shifting landscapes, each section inspired by the movements of a Bach suite. The air itself seems to carry a kind of harmony, a reminder that nature has its own music if you pause long enough to hear it. It’s a space where you can sit with a book and let the words linger a little longer, or where you can close your eyes and meditate, feeling the stillness seep into your bones. On warm days, the serenity deepens: children’s laughter drifts like notes, the lake sparkles in the distance, and time seems to suspend itself. The Toronto Music Garden is more than just a park — it is a living composition, a tranquil refuge where art and nature entwine. Whenever I am there, I leave with the sense that I’ve not only rested but also been gently restored.

This is a really neat use of garden space along the Lake Ontario Waterfront in Toronto. It is part of a series of connecting parks and green space, butting up against the Spadina Quay Wetland to the east and to the west the Little Norway Park by way of Queen's Quay W. The park was designed by Julie Moir Messervy with contribution from cellist Yo-Yo Ma and opened to the public in 1999. What you find a charming waterfront space with three sections featuring mature trees with shade, lovely landscaping and flowerbeds full in bloom during our July visit, winding walking paths and lots of quiet spaces to sit and read a book. This is a great little park to leisurely stroll through especially during the warm summer months. Of the various parks visited along the Waterfront, this is one we really enjoyed spending time.

We stopped by Scarborough Bluffs on our way to Toronto, and honestly, it’s absolutely stunning. The nature there is gorgeous — it’s the kind of place that makes you want to stay longer. Perfect spot for a picnic, with amazing views all around. There’s a beautiful cliff area, plus a nice beach and the lake, which makes the scenery even more special. Everything felt really clean and well kept. Overall, such a breathtaking place to relax and enjoy the outdoors.

In my 25+ years of living in Toronto, I had never visited the Bluffs until today. They are majestic and quite breathtaking. It’s easy to forget you’re in Toronto, you’d swear you were on a tropical island. There are paid parking lots with a lot of police presence. I did not get a chance to explore the marina side but there is a restaurant on site. Lots of families were doing the picnic thing with their own portable bbqs. There are public washrooms which are really poorly maintained...hence 4 stars versus 5. I think when we have something so wonderful, as a community we should all make a conscious effort to protect it, make it enjoyable for all (this means keeping shared areas clean). We saw some herons and other birds of prey. The sounds from the waves were hypnotizing.

The Bluffs are my favourite beach in Toronto. 😊 They’re do beautiful with giant cliffs and cool waters that you can see into. It gets pretty busy in the summer but you can always find a spot because this beach 🏖️ is huge. Also there’s a nice park close by and the trees in this area are beautiful. 😍 I would highly recommend coming here!

8-8-25 nice tourist attraction next to a sandy horseshoe shape seaside and a peaceful park, make an exceptional place to take picture. It was not that busy during the weekdays but the parking lot detail is a kinda confusing. To me it is free during weekdays until 5pm but feel free to read the enclosed picture. I saw some visitors made fire on grasses or toss hot charcoal on grasses which is a shame. Check the pictures please.

Went to Scarborough Bluffs back over summer (early July) and had a nice time. Beach was nice, there was room to sit/lay a towel. Water was chilly, but nice for a hot summer day. I visited Scarborough Bluffs as part of a weekend trip to New York and Toronto and seeing the Bluffs was at the top of my list of things to do in Toronto - and I don’t regret it. The view was gorgeous! AND! I'm excited I got to take a dip in Great Lake 3/5! Only downside was trying to find parking was a nightmare. I ended up paying some man $20 for street parking at the top of the hill and then catching the bus down to the beach. Definitely feasible, just very busy.

Observation deck
The CN Tower's top, known as The Top, offers breathtaking panoramic views of Toronto and beyond. At 447 meters above the ground, it is the highest observation platform in the Western Hemisphere. From here, visitors can see up to 160 kilometers away on a clear day, with sights reaching as far as Niagara Falls and into New York State. The SkyPod at The Top provides an unforgettable setting for special moments like marriage proposals, offering sweeping views of the city during both daytime and nighttime.
A must visit during your holiday. I loved it. The view is breathtaking. You can spend as long as you want in the tower. The staff is also very friendly. I bought my tickets online and everything went very smooth. There is a restaurant and places to sit.
Shahnaz — Google review
Visiting the top of the CN Tower is a memorable experience, though it wasn’t as spectacular as expected due to a few drawbacks. The glass, unfortunately, wasn’t as clear as I’d hoped, which took away from some of the view’s clarity. While there was some graffiti up there, it didn’t make a huge difference to the experience. Still, being on top of the entire city is something special—it’s hard not to feel in awe of the scale and energy of Toronto. Overall, worth a visit for the sheer height and iconic status, but the views could benefit from a bit more maintenance.
Arosha W — Google review
If you love queuing, this is your ideal place, queue for buying tickets, queue for get inside, queue for get into the elevator, queue for the elevator to the top (just trying to get there can take you over an hour), queue for ordering food, even queue for going down and exit. I really hated the attitude of the staff, forcing you to take a photo "for fun", even I explicitly told them NO. The view at the top is good, but unfortunately the windows are too small and has a lot of frames that makes your photos look bad, the prices at the bistro are OK and the food it was good, but the restaurant IMO is excessive
Gabriel G — Google review
Hey everyone! If you're on the fence about whether it's worth paying the extra $11 to go to the very top of the CN Tower, this review is for you. I bought the regular CN Tower ticket and decided to upgrade it to include the top (the highest viewing level), just to make sure I wasn’t missing out. Honestly, I wouldn’t have missed much if I had skipped it—but upgrading gave me peace of mind and the satisfaction of knowing I experienced the very top. In my opinion, if you’re someone who wants to say, “I’ve done it all,” and don’t mind the extra cost, then go for it! But if you're looking for the best overall view, the regular observation level is more than enough. The SkyPod is cool, but the difference isn’t dramatic.
Erum S — Google review
Decent prices for tickets. Friendly staff throughout. The elevator trip up is something special. View is very good with wide windows and thin borders. There’s a great restaurant in on the observation deck with good prices. Really comfortable to spend an hour or two here.
Neil C — Google review
You need to come up here at least once in your life and definitely if you are just visiting Toronto and it’s a nice day out. The elevator ride up is an experience in itself and once you get up there the views are phenomenal. 🇨🇦💯😍💯🇨🇦
VoudouLounge — Google review
View was good, but not much difference compared to the standard observation deck. Also, more interference with the window seams in the skypod. Overall, worth it to do once, but probably won’t go back up again. The standard observation deck provides an overall better experience.
Ward S — Google review
In my view, it is worth the extra expense, because it is much higher. My son was fascinated with the plumb line/pendulum showing the movement of the tower. The views are better, you can truly say you went as high as you can go, and you get better views looking east if you are not eating at the restaurant. Plus, you get to look down at the brave people doing the Edge Walk :)

Fresh food market
St. Lawrence Market is a renowned foodie destination located in Toronto's historic Old Town district. It has over 100 vendors offering a wide variety of products, including produce, antiques, baked goods, and meats. The market dates back to 1803 and is considered the oldest in Toronto. Visitors can indulge in local favorites such as peameal bacon sandwiches at Carousel Bakery or explore European-style pastries at Future Bakery.
Loved this area. Lively atmosphere, great smells from various food stalls. Wonderful experience. Definitely recommend a visit. We brought various butter tarts and they were heavenly. So much to see (and eat) 😀

Family and I went to this amazing St.Lawrence Market and it was so many shops inside for whatever you need. It had amazing Food options and so many Meats options also. What are the unique thing is how different culture kind of meat and cheese and fruits that were in this Market. The food was so fresh anywhere you tried to eat because it was made fresh right away. We try the pizza place and it was very delicious. The only reason why I give it a four star is because it would have been nice to see some Halal Options in Market as it had None and we had to find Cheese pizza to eat. Also bathroom could been cleaner! Overall Very Amazing and Unique Market to visit.

If you would love to visit local market as a tourist, this is the place to go! It has nice market atmosphere and I see long queue at many shops in the market by locals. It also cater both raw and ready to eat food. So you can buy beef steak to cook in your homestay or buy ready to eat food. Variety range from meat to seafood to fruits to bread to tarts to desserts and even maple syrup! Beautiful atmosphere and nice yummy food.... A nice brunch place and market!

Had a terrific time spending the day browsing St Lawrence Market. Bought an amazingly creative bouquet of flowers to brighten our hotel room. Had a delicious charcuterie lunch made from purchasing items from various vendors. Dessert was the largest berries we’ve ever seen, sweet, juicy, and delicious! Bought some pork belly to bring home after our trip. Purchased wines, a few souvenirs for our kids, generally had a nice day browsing through the enormous market. For reference I’d say it is about six times the size of Pike Place Market in Seattle.

A Fav forever!!! A staple in the city for us Torontonians and tourists! The new farmers market wing is great for local produce and deliciousness! You can literally find anything you need here. Spices, local meats, produce, tea, coffee, seafood, oysters, sandwiches, fresh bread, breakfast, lunch, fish and chips, charcuterie, ethnic foods, Latin foods, hot chocolate ... So much goodness!!! Pricing is a bit on the higher side but the vibe makes up for it!

I was surprised and amazed by this market. Very impressive. Often time when you hear market it come to mind its for the local. But this market is quite different many tourist all over world come to visit this place. This is a food lover paradise. Local nearby farm product like fruits vegetables and pastries cheese even flower are all very fresh. But price is not cheap. Just buy what you can eat there and be sure to ask seller if the product you want to buy is allow to take out from there country and be sure also that you are allow to bring back to your country specially agricultural product and processed meat. Some countries have stricter bans than others

Fun place to hang out, spend half a day, grab some bites and explore new food. The weather was extremely nice the week I visited so we could sit outside under the sun as well. Seems like it’s less of fresh produce and more of imported or processed items. I only managed to see the old building and the fashion market. Would love to visit the North market next time as well.

Wonderful experience of the oldest market in Canada! There was a booth that has been there since before Canadas birth! The main floor is where fresh food is sold. The lower level has all the international flavours… will visit again. Lively atmosphere… need sitting area in winter. Has a mini-museum in lowest level where the jail used to be.

The University of Toronto is a picturesque and research-focused public university offering a wide range of programs in arts, sciences, engineering, and medicine. Established in 1827 as King's College, it has since evolved into a large institution with over 100,000 students and staff. The campus features stunning Gothic Revival architecture, scenic courtyards, and ivy-covered walls that create an old European university ambiance.
I recently had the pleasure of attending the University of Toronto downtown campus and I must say, it was an absolutely incredible experience. The university is top-notch, with a wide variety of academic programs and research opportunities available to students. The faculty at the University of Toronto downtown campus are also excellent. They are knowledgeable and dedicated, taking the time to ensure that students are well-prepared for success in their chosen fields. In addition to the academic experience, the University of Toronto downtown campus also offers a wide range of extracurricular activities and student services. There are a number of clubs and organizations to join, and the student services office is always available to provide support and assistance. The campus itself is also beautiful, with a range of modern and well-maintained facilities. It is a great place to study, live, and socialize. Overall, I would give the University of Toronto downtown campus a full five stars. It is a must-attend for anyone looking for a top-quality academic experience in a welcoming and supportive environment.

During summer months, this is an absolutely beautiful place to walk through, have a rest, etc. The university has done a really fantastic job of beautifying the area with more greenery, flowers, seating spaces, etc. You can even have a wonderful lunch at Hart House and sit outside on the quiet patio; It's actually a great spot. The property is open to the public. Even though the buildings are run as a private university, the public is allowed to go into the buildings.
Darren D — Google review
Didn't take a program at UoT but I'm giving this campus five stars for the architecture and atmosphere. Feels like you step into a historical movie set! Usually quiet - an amazing place to just get away from a busy day. They play the bells sometimes in the clock tower which adds to the beauty of this place. Spend an hour or two here and you'll feel refreshed and inspired.
Ksenia — Google review
At least for me, this place is a giant Monster Spawner. Beneath the rankings and reputation is a disjointed and invalidating system. Administrative support is slow and inconsistent. Students are often left to figure things out alone while important issues get buried in bureaucracy. The student population is massive. While that might sound exciting, in reality it creates a fragmented, emotionally shallow, and competitive environment. It is hard to build trust or community in a space that values productivity over presence and appearance over care. Over the past seven years, my mental health has declined and I have become tougher. But this is not a sign of growth, and I do not thank the institution for it. It is simply the cost of surviving here. One star for there are still kind individuals here, and small moments of support, but they exist in spite of the institution, not because of it.
Cecilia K — Google review

Bluffer's Park Beach is situated at the foot of the renowned Scarborough Bluffs, offering a range of activities for visitors. The park features picturesque beaches, scenic lookouts, and various trails such as the Scarborough Bluffs Trail and Dunkers Flow Basin Trail. Additionally, it is home to a 16-kilometer natural path leading to Highland Creek river bed and water channel.
We're fortunate to have such a fabulous beach getaway in the city! The Beach at Bluffer's Park is smaller than Woodbine Beach but it's still fairly roomy for all your beach activities. Fine soft sand is regularly raked clean. The Bluffs are the magic here compared to any other Toronto beach. You don't see the city or hear its traffic, a breeze constantly blows and then the Bluffs divert away heat on the hottest days. The drop off as you wade into the water is not severe so you can step out a fair bit and play comfortably in the water. There are posts for 4 volleyball nets, there's a short walking trail that borders the beach, there's a washroom, foot wash tower, free sunscreen dispenser and vigilant lifeguards. And you can walk out to the point where you'll find a small lighthouse. Limited parking though (read the sign carefully for when you must pay) for busy days Maybe I'll see you there sometime, enjoy the feel of this amazing city Beach!

Bluffer’s Park Beach is one of the most beautiful and underrated spots in the GTA. Every time I visit, I’m amazed by the breathtaking natural beauty, peaceful surroundings, and the calming sound of the water hitting the shore. It's a perfect blend of lake, cliffs, greenery, and sandy beach — making it feel like a mini escape from the city without actually leaving Toronto. The view of the Scarborough Bluffs rising in the background is absolutely stunning, especially during golden hour or early morning. The clear blue water, wide open spaces, and gentle breeze create a truly relaxing vibe — ideal for a quiet walk, picnic, or just lying on the sand and soaking it all in. The park is well maintained, with walking trails, picnic areas, and plenty of spots to sit and enjoy the view. Whether you're there to take photos, spend quality time with family, or just unwind solo, Bluffer’s Park Beach has a lot to offer. It’s also a great place for sunsets, with the cliffs lighting up in warm hues — making it one of the most scenic places in Toronto. If you haven’t been here yet, you’re missing out on a truly peaceful, nature-filled experience. A must-visit for beach lovers, nature enthusiasts, and anyone in need of a beautiful escape right within the city.

High Park Cherry Blossoms in Toronto offer a dreamy and enchanting setting during spring, perfect for a romantic proposal. The delicate pink petals and sweet fragrance create a natural wonderland. The park's well-maintained paths and tranquil atmosphere allow visitors to immerse themselves in the beauty of the cherry blossoms. It's recommended to visit in the morning or evening of April for the most beautiful view after a long winter.
Just wow! I visited High Park during cherry blossom season and it was just a wow experience. The trees were in full bloom, creating a stunning pink canopy that felt like walking through a dream. It does get very crowded, so I’d recommend going early in the morning to really enjoy the view peacefully and get great photos. The park itself is huge and beautiful, perfect for a spring day walk. Truly a must-visit during sakura season!

I came here for the first time to see the cherry blossoms with my boyfriend in early May. It was super pretty and there was an ice-cream truck and live music 🎶 It was just very very crowded even during the week, if you don't mind big crowds then it's super nice here! We just personally found it harder to enjoy the nature and talking We walked back alongside the water, which was super refreshing and less crowded, I really recommend it!! We saw like 5 chipmunks and a few squirrels there 🐿 very cute

A beautiful park when the cherry blossoms are in full bloom. So much land to explore and the zoo was an unexpected surprise, the animals there are so nice to see. Even when it was raining on the day my friends and I attended, it still looked incredibly beautiful. I will definitely be coming again to see the cherry blossoms next year, and also this summer when the weather is perfect for an outside picnic.

High Park is a beautiful and peaceful escape in the heart of Toronto. It’s perfect for walking, relaxing, or spending time with family and friends. The trails are well-maintained, there’s plenty of green space, and the pond adds a lovely touch to the scenery. In spring, the cherry blossoms are absolutely stunning. There’s also a small zoo that kids really enjoy. Highly recommended for nature lovers and anyone looking for a break from the busy city life

Absolutely Breathtaking! A Must-See Spring Experience Visiting High Park during cherry blossom season was nothing short of magical! The sea of delicate pink and white blooms creates a dreamy, almost surreal atmosphere. Whether you're strolling beneath the Sakura trees, having a picnic, or capturing photos, every moment feels special. The park does an excellent job managing crowds while keeping the experience enjoyable. Early mornings or weekdays are ideal for a quieter visit, but even with people around, the beauty of the blossoms shines through. Pro tip: Check peak bloom updates online to time your visit perfectly. Don’t forget to explore the rest of High Park too—the trails, ponds, and wildlife make it a perfect day out. (Only visit during weekdays or early mornings otherwise you’ll find more people than the blossoms!!) A true Toronto gem that brings joy every spring! 🌸 Highly recommend!

Experience the thrill of EdgeWalk at the CN Tower, where participants in suits and harnesses circle the exposed top of the 356m-high tower. This urban adventure offers a daring opportunity to hang handsfree from the circumference of the roof, providing an adrenaline-pumping experience with breathtaking views. In addition to this exhilarating activity, visitors can explore other attractions in Toronto such as the Royal Ontario Museum, Bata Shoe Museum, and trendy neighborhoods like Leslieville and West Queen West.
If you're looking for a once-in-a-lifetime thrill in Toronto, EdgeWalk at the CN Tower is the ultimate adventure! From the moment we suited up to the final step back inside, the experience was both exhilarating and incredibly well-managed. Big shoutout to DJ, our amazing guide – honestly, he’s a real-life Spider-Man! 🕷️🕸️ He struck the perfect balance between keeping us safe and encouraging us to push our limits. His energy, confidence, and humor made the whole experience feel both daring and fun. You can tell he genuinely loves what he does, and it shows! What really impressed me was the extremely thorough safety process – our gear was checked nearly 10 times by at least 4 different team members before we even stepped outside. It gave us full confidence that we were in safe hands, even while walking on the edge of one of the tallest towers in the world. Standing 116 storeys above the ground, leaning out over the edge with nothing but a harness—it’s an adrenaline rush like no other. The views are breathtaking, the air is crisp, and the feeling of being up there is simply surreal. Highly recommend this to anyone visiting Toronto or locals looking to do something unforgettable. Thanks again, DJ, for making it such an epic memory!

I had an amazing experience doing the EdgeWalk at the CN Tower! It was both thrilling and scary, but absolutely worth it. Walking outside at that height with nothing but the harness keeping you secure is something I’ll never forget. The team was professional and made sure everyone felt safe throughout the experience. I highly recommend booking your ticket in advance as spots fill up quickly, especially during peak seasons. One of the best parts is that with the EdgeWalk pass, you get full access to the entire building, including the observation levels. It’s a fantastic way to make the most of your visit to the CN Tower.

Your guide will be super personable and professional too. Doesn’t hurt that your ticket price comes with a complimentary video, 2 printed photos, AND access to the entire tower for you to explore. The pictures attached include the top plus general admission although you will be getting priority pass before any line. Walk around the edge does feel a little too soon but that’s only bc you’re having soon. There is no concern at all you need to have. With indoor and outdoor ceremony sites accommodating up to 300 guests, couples can exchange vows on the terrace overlooking formal gardens and flowing fountains. We recently had our wedding at Graydon Hall Manor and it was truly a perfect day. From the beginning we felt so welcomed at Graydon. Jaylin our coordinator was on top of everything and so kind, we did not have to worry that about anything venue related throughout our whole planning process because I knew they would be able to execute our vision perfectly. On our wedding day everyone was so excited to see us (even at 6AM!!) every single staff member was helpful, extremely nice and accommodating. Our whole day went according to plan and we did not have to worry one bit. All of our guests let us know how beautiful everything was and how much they enjoyed it. I really could not ask for anything more! I hope we are invited to a wedding at Graydon one day as I would love to enjoy the day as a guest and see how amazing it all flows! On Oct 19 2024, our daughter and her fiancee celebrated their wedding at the beautiful Graydon Hall Manor. It was a morning wedding, so my husband and I arrived at the facility at 8 AM. Since minute one, we experienced a delightful service. One of the team members spoke to us in Spanish, our native language, and offered us a cup of coffee. Later on, Sara, from Malaga Spain, very warmly took care of my family members and me in Spanish. Sara tirelessly kept checking on us with a smile during the event. The team member at the expresso bar did a great job as well. The event manager also warmly approached my husband and myself to get our feedback on the service. We very much appreciated the personalized service that we received. Thanks! The facilities at the Graydon Hall Manor are beautiful and very well maintained. The small chapel is lovely and has a good amount of chairs. We had the liberty of walking around to take nice pictures in the gardens. The parking is free and has plenty of space. All in all, it was a great experience and we absolutely recommend the Graydon Hall Manor!

The staff went above and beyond to accommodate our requests, always eager to help make the day as special as possible. If you're looking for a venue that beautifully balances outdoor charm with elegant indoor spaces, we wholeheartedly recommend Graydon Hall.

My guests loved the food and drinks and everything went so smoothly. Liane, our wedding coordinator, was amazing! Thank you so much for giving us a wonderful experience!

Knox College, established in 1844, is a postgraduate theological college affiliated with the University of Toronto. It offers various facilities to the university community, including the renowned Knox College Chapel featuring the impressive Hellmuth Wolff organ. The college's Gothic architecture and picturesque windows make it a popular venue for events like weddings, with its courtyard being particularly enchanting during sunset.
I've photographed weddings across North America and Europe and very few venues stand out quite like Knox College. Its Gothic charm and moody light make for some epic photos. I LOVEEE the archieture and beautiful windows, its like being a kid in a candy store whenever me and my team are working here! Also, The courtyard? Pure magic at golden hour. If you're tying the knot here, definitely sneak away for those sunset shots – trust me, you won't regret it. A quick tip: Work with a photographer who will walk the grounds with you before the big day. It'll make your photo session a breeze, and you'll know exactly where to catch the perfect photos for your wedding! My couple wanted moody, creative, and timeless photos, so we arrived together and picked out all the spots to make their photo session smooth and super easy! We had our wedding photos taken at Knox College and it was a beautiful experience overall. The architecture and ambiance are truly stunning, giving our photos a classic and elegant look. We booked from 2 PM to 4 PM, which allowed us to catch the perfect angle of the sunlight—highly recommend this time slot for natural lighting. The interior also provided some great photo opportunities, but unfortunately, there were small pieces of litter like candy wrappers and gum packaging scattered around. We ended up picking them up ourselves to ensure a clean look in the photos, as almost every corner had some minor trash. On the positive side, the garden was very clean, tidy, and well-maintained. The landscaping was carefully looked after and added a beautiful touch to our outdoor photos. The staff was very punctual. We arrived early and wanted to start at 1:58 PM, but they kindly asked us to wait until exactly 2 PM. They also gave us a heads-up 30 minutes before our time ended, and at 4 PM sharp, they asked us to wrap up the photo session. Please note that access to the church interior is not permitted unless you book a private event, so you are limited to the main hall and staircase for indoor photos. One important tip: Make sure to carefully read the parking information they email you before your visit. They provide a few parking options, and you’ll need to use one of those since parking is not directly available at the entrance. Overall, we had a lovely time and beautiful photos, with just a small suggestion to improve cleanliness inside the venue.

What a lovely and beautiful setting. The college, generally closed to public, is a wonderful place for photo shoot. You should ask for a permit which is quite expensive but worth the pictures.

I stayed here for two nights in residence, would recommend. No air conditioning, and it was the hottest day of the year... But I knew that when I booked and it wasn't a problem, there are huge ceiling fans in each room... the front desk will give you a fan upon request. The vibe is.... Hallowed? Such a pretty place, it feels like the ghosts of Nothrop Frye or Robertson Davies will appear in the hallways.

I visited the church for a wedding ceremony and it is a stunning location. It even had a tiny elevator leading up to the chapel. However there were no areas to change a baby's diapers which made the visit quite difficult. Honestly this should come standard.

The Knox College summer residence is a nightmare. The building is beautiful and all but the rooms are disaster, super dirty, very basic, you cannot even find a bottle of water on site. The rooms stink and the shared bathrooms only have curtains, no door, no lock and again dirty. It's cheap, yes, but it should have the minimums, at least be clean.

Yonge-Dundas Square is a vibrant outdoor space that hosts various events, including concerts, movies, and community gatherings. It will feature an immersive art installation by photographer Ed Burtynsky as part of the Luminato festival. The square is located on Yonge Street, which spans different neighborhoods with unique atmospheres and vibes. Walking along Yonge Street offers a diverse cultural experience, reflecting Toronto's multiculturalism.
Sankofa Square is an absolutely vibrant and inspiring place in the heart of downtown. From the moment you arrive, you can feel the energy and passion that has gone into creating this unique cultural space. It’s more than just a physical location—it’s a celebration of community, heritage, and expression. The live performances and events bring a sense of excitement and togetherness that’s hard to find elsewhere. The design of the square is both attractive and meaningful, with art, music, and storytelling woven into every corner. You can see and feel the life here—people connecting, sharing, and enjoying the moment. Whether you’re a local or a visitor, Sankofa Square leaves a lasting impression. It’s a wonderful destination that invites you to not just observe but truly experience culture in motion. A must-see for anyone who wants to witness the spirit of the city come

😀 " I don't like the young and Dundas square of Toronto" Said no one ever 🏙️ This ornament and special landmark of our city is not just some place where you can skateboard around and get called out from the security guards. No... 🌎 It's culture, it's the people, it's the food, music, festivals, kindness, Community. 🌆😄 There's always amazing festivals, music, street performers and in the summertime, this water dispensary thing. The festivals are deliciously great and immersible. 💃🏻The people that crowd around make up the place 100 times more amazing than it is when there's no one. 😆 🙃 Even when there's nothing going on, the cool awesome advertisements on those big towers will surely entertain you. It's a great place to hang out with friends and an even better place to sleep if you're homeless. 🌝 🏠 It's like a home away from home. ❤️❤️❤️

Dundas Square officially changed to Sankofa Square in 2023 because of Henry Dundas. He was not opposed to slavery. Sankofa means to “go back and get it.” Sankofa Square holds various free events to the general public such as live music concerts, cultural festivals, yoga, food festivals, etc. Located at the intersection of Yonge and Dundas Street, the busiest intersection in Toronto. It’s also right across the Eaton Centre, so it gets a lot of foot traffic. To me it’s the mini or micro version of Times Square in NYC. Highly accessible by the TTC, since it’s connected to the Dundas Subway Station. If in the area, go check it out. Don’t go too early because events usually start later in the afternoon.
M G — Google review
One of my personal favourite spots in the city. Sankofa is a rival to NYC's time square and honestly is just as enjoyable. I found the Square to be way safer than any other plaza filled with billboards, not once did I feel like I was gonna have my phone robbed and there was no beggers or scammers. The Square itself is beautiful at night, with the billboards lighting up many streets including the square.

I had the amazing opportunity to photograph the Toronto Pride Parade 2025 at Yonge-Dundas Square, and it was absolutely unforgettable! The energy, the colors, the love — everything came together in one joyful, powerful celebration of community and identity. As a documentary photographer, I aimed to capture the raw emotions and vibrant moments, and ended up with over 1,100 photos from the event. If you're curious to see the full gallery, just search on Google: toronto pride parade 2025 nadtochiy You'll find all the images I captured during this incredible day. Highly recommend Yonge-Dundas Square as a place to experience Toronto’s most dynamic public events — it never disappoints!
Oleksandra N — Google review
I recently visited Sankofa Square, formerly Yonge-Dundas Square, and was impressed by how the space is evolving. The square still has the energy and buzz of downtown Toronto—with big screens, fountains, and street performers—but now there’s a stronger focus on community and culture. There was a live performance and a pop-up market when I visited, which gave the area a real sense of purpose and creativity. The new name and branding are clearly part of a larger push to honour African and Indigenous heritage, which I respect, though I understand not everyone agrees with the change. The space itself is clean, easy to navigate, and well-connected with TTC access right below. It can get crowded during events, but that’s part of the experience. Overall, Sankofa Square feels like a step forward—more inclusive and expressive—while still keeping its role as a public gathering spot. I’m curious to see how it continues to grow.
Bijeesh B — Google review
Famous intersection in downtown Toronto with lots of digital billboards, and events in the summer. There's a convenient parking lot right beneath the intersection. It is also located immediately adjacent to Eaton Center. I'll continue to call it Yonge-Dundas square despite the name change.

Edwards Gardens, a former estate garden, is now home to wildflowers, perennials, and fountains. It also houses the Toronto Botanical Garden and features rock gardens, floral displays, water features like fountains and a water wheel, as well as charming wooden arch bridges. The serene space offers numerous walking trails for visitors to enjoy the natural beauty.
A beautiful garden for hiking, walking and enjoying fresh weather or even meeting friends. It is a great spot for photo-shooting from spring to the end of fall! It has many beautiful plants and flowers during spring and summer. The park does not have any admission fee but you need to pay for parking.

If you enjoy being in touch with nature, participating in nature-related events, having a place to walk, and seeing Canada in its many colors throughout the seasons, Edward Gardens is a park worth visiting to experience all of this. The park is enormous, with a diverse array of plants, flowers, and animals, and has several hidden spots that you can only discover by walking in detail. The park can be accessed by public transportation, as several bus lines pass through the area, or by car. There is also paid parking in the area and paid street parking. The park has excellent accessibility, with a flat walking area, without any obstacles for walkers, walking sticks, or wheelchairs. Accessible restrooms are available, with doors that open and close automatically, grab bars, and safety gates. The park has a snack bar on site, but food is also permitted. Just remember to dispose of trash properly and don't feed the animals. In addition to the park's natural surroundings, the area also features a greenhouse with various plants and a study area. It's definitely worth a visit, and for those with children, it's a very pleasant environment.

If you're a nature lover and enjoy a peaceful morning stroll, I highly recommend stopping by. I went in the early morning in late Autumn so you can see the frost on all of these flowers - much better to experience this in-person! You can easily spend 2 hours walking through the garden, and ending it off with a hot coffee and pastry at the Dandelion Cafe! Plenty of paid parking ($8 for the entire day). It helps support the garden, and it's relatively cheap too.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Stunning garden! The vibrant colours of the flowers and the well-manicured landscapes create such a serene atmosphere. It's a perfect spot for a peaceful stroll or a picnic with friends and family. The variety of plants and the overall design were impressive, making it a photographer's dream. I also appreciated the little seating areas scattered throughout the garden, perfect for taking a moment to simply enjoy the beauty around you. If you're looking for a lovely escape from the hustle and bustle, I highly recommend visiting this garden. I can't wait to go back in different seasons to see how the scenery changes!

If you’re looking for a lush, peaceful escape within the city, Edwards Gardens delivers in spades. Here’s a breakdown of what stood out — and a few things to keep in mind. ✅ What I Loved 1. Beautifully curated gardens & nature The moment you walk in, you’re surrounded by a wonderful variety of flowers, perennials, shrubs and trees. There are rock gardens, little waterfalls and bridges over the creek that add charming touches. The seasonal variation is strong: in spring you’ll find tulips and wildflowers; summer brings roses and lush greenery; autumn paints the leaves in vivid colours; even in winter the quiet, bare‑trees setting has its own calm appeal. 2. Great for a relaxed stroll or photography The paths are gentle and mostly easy to navigate — ideal for a casual walk, a slow afternoon reading on a bench, or bringing a camera and just letting the scenery be your subject. 3. Convenient location + good amenities Located at 755 Lawrence Ave E (corner of Leslie & Lawrence) in North York, it’s accessible by car and transit. 4. Peaceful despite being in the city It genuinely feels like you’ve left the urban hustle behind. The sounds of water, birds and leaves rustling offer a nice break from traffic and noise. Visitors repeatedly describe it as a serene spot.
Leyla F — Google review
The gardens were part of private estate of Rupert Edwards who has created the whole ensemble of rockery, waterfalls, bridges and later sold it to the city to become a public park. Toronto Botanical garden is operating 1.8 hectare portion of Edwards gardens. The place is not that large but has nice themed gardens and arboretum. There is an ample parking lot as well as cafe on-premises.

Edwards Gardens is an easy-on-the-eyes patch of calm tucked just north of the city, and it’s free to enter. We rolled up on a sunny Friday and parked for the maximum $8 for the day. Right as you enter, you’re met with a spread of botanical blooms that make you feel like you’ve accidentally wandered into a very well-maintained dream. And from there, the trails begin. There’s a good mix of paved paths for stroller-pushers, flip-flop wearers, and cyclists, but also enough off-the-beaten-track paths to make you feel like you earned your ice cream after. We clocked a casual 4 km without even noticing. The scenery keeps changing. One minute you’re looking at a quiet stream, the next you’re dodging squirrels who clearly run the place. Birds chirping, chipmunks doing chipmunk things, and more wildflowers than I could count all woven into a trail that feels miles away from the honking of city life. Nature really popped off here. Overall, Edwards Gardens isn’t flashy or overly curated (at least not a the time we visited), but it leads to wonderful trails into nature for a peaceful, slow walking kind of day.

Fine dining restaurant
Edulis Restaurant, located in Toronto's King West area, offers a cozy and charming dining experience in a converted red house. Helmed by the husband and wife duo Tobey Nemeth and Michael Caballo, this Michelin-starred restaurant is known for its seasonal menu featuring wild and foraged ingredients that create elevated Canadian dishes. The 30-seat restaurant has gained both local and international acclaim, with a focus on using fresh, seasonal ingredients driven by Chef Caballo's passion for foraging.
I've been here 3 times and they've never disappointed me. This place has a set menu which changes each time you go. What this restaurant can do with food is amazing. The cooks combine the most fresh and high quality foods to create outstanding and neat dishes. They really deserve the Michelin star. I never eat my food slowly, but this restaurant made me want savour every single bite I had, and once I finished the food, I would find any leftover sauce that I could soak up and eat using the bread we were given. I highly suggest purchasing the jamon (the pork leg). It is really the best meat in the world, as they told us. The service always has astonished me. The waiters are always so kind and excited. I really hope you get to enjoy the food this restaurant has to offer.
Ty C — Google review
I came in with high expectations, and while there were some standout moments, the overall experience felt more "good" than "exceptional." The food was not mind blowing as I had hoped. I recognize the quality of ingredients and care in preparation, but the set menu on the day I visited just didn’t wow me. Echoing recent reviews, the bluefin tuna belly and tomato dish was absolutely delicious, but most of the other courses felt just okay and pretty bland. The bread and butter, in particular, felt sad.. cold/room temperature almost stale bread with basic tasting butter. We ended up asking for salt. It also felt a little odd that dessert wasn’t included in the menu, considering how premium the experience is positioned to be. That said, service was great. Philip was warm, attentive, and made us feel welcome. The ambiance is charming and cozy, and the meal was paced over about four hours. At the end of the day, Edulis is a good restaurant serving good food. But with the level of difficulty in securing a reservation and the price tag that comes with it, I walked away wishing I had been more impressed.
Amy — Google review
I think my expectations were certainly met during my first experience at Edulis. We respected the rule of not being on our phones during the meal service, which is something I think some of the other reviewers here should try next time they go! All in all, dishes were very well executed and the attention to detail was felt in each dish served. Great service, cheers to David who was very personable, down-to-earth, and added an extra touch to the enjoyment we felt during this evening. Desert was excellent as well. We had the sweet potato cheesecake, the fig ice milk, and the chocolate caramel tart. All of them were excellent. I enjoyed their house made nocino liquer as well. I will definitely be back another season!

Fantastic food and incredible service. Incredibly deserving of their Star and I hope to see them collect some more. True celebration of Canadian ingredients. The polished and refined but yet not “stuffy” service is truly a sight to behold and experience. Brilliant. Only negative is the rather elongated dinner service. It took around 4 hours from start to finish and I wish it would only be around 3. Incredible food though and I feel very lucky to be given the opportunity to dine here thanks to a last minute spot that opened up on their booking system.
Anil N — Google review
This may honestly come as a polarizing review but it has taken me some time to write this review because of how long awaited it was for us to get this reservation. We did also come for my birthday celebration. It is stupidly difficult to get a reservation but cancellations is where you can possibly slip in! So look out for impromptu cancellations to get the chance to dine here. The concept is based on fresh produce that is in season and heavily focused on seafood with a menu that is a bit of a surprise as you have no idea what you are being served as it is all selected by the chefs. I am a seafood girly at heart and in theory this kind of dining style/food makes my heart sing. On arrival, the waiter makes you feel completely at home - we were greeted by name (a very nice personal touch). The waiters are also attentive and they spend a lot of time explaining the dishes - shout out to Philip (he was most memorable) and he seemed to remember all the regulars that came to dine. Overall the food begins very fresh and is captivating but as the night continued, I felt lost in the rest of the menu and felt like the night dragged on. The dishes at beginning are very light, captivating, and creative. We even paid extra to try the special jamon (which is delicious but just a lot of salt). Dishes near the end felt very heavy, buttery and just a bit too much. The overall dining experience took approximately 4 hours and we honestly skipped dessert because dinner service felt dragged on and the restaurant itself was starting to feel extremely stuffy. In theory, we love a surprise menu that is creative, seafood forward but near the end of the dining experience we just felt seriously fatigued. Perhaps also the final dish of rabbit was a bit too daring for our tastes. Overall, I probably wouldn’t return here based on price point, difficulty in getting a reservation and just the overall length of dining time spent. Would say it’s closer to 4.4 stars!
Janice C — Google review
The food was generally decent, with high-quality ingredients. The Iberico ham was rich and flavorful, and the bluefin tuna belly was good. The raw bluefin tuna was a bit leaner than expected and didn’t quite wow us. Everything else was just ok. Heads-up: many dishes are inspired by Spanish cuisine, so if you’re not a big fan of Spanish flavors, some items might not suit your taste. The ambience was pleasant and comfortable. Nice spot for a relaxing evening. Service was polite, but after paying we had to wait quite a while to get back our handbag and umbrella, which was a bit disappointing. It was very hard to get a reservation, so we came in with pretty high expectations. While we did enjoy the meal, the overall experience didn’t quite live up to the hype.

The wait was well worth it. We had a fantastic evening, and the food exceeded our expectations. Amazing value for how good the food is and how much you get. You could tell in every dish just how fresh and well thought out all of the ingredients were. The flavours and sauces in everything were to die for! Philip our server was the cherry on top! We also added on the jamon and 2 desserts and were very full at the end! My favourite dish we had was the mahone shucked bay scallop with caviar,. It truly was the best dish I've ever had in my life. Amazing experience and can't recommend it enough!

The Mattamy Athletic Centre in downtown Toronto is a decent venue that has hosted various events, including a Call of Duty tournament. However, it falls short in terms of seating arrangements for esports enthusiasts, as most people are forced to watch the screen from the sides due to limited seating in the middle. The food provided at this sporting arena is surprisingly good but not extraordinary. On the positive side, it offers great bathroom facilities.
Excellent facilities, it's only unfortunate that it's not named related to its past as the Original Maple Leafs Garden. Facility does carry some nostalgia photos and information within but it lacks the prestigious nature of what it represents to those of us old enough. That being said I was there for an event and it was a fear venue, easily accessible and fun to watch some hockey taking place also. Washrooms was immaculate. Stairs and elevators for getting around.

The only downside of this area is there is no “behind the net” seats, which is not ideal for curling. Something awesome is there is access to the hockey bench from the general seating, so it’s easy to snag a pic or signature from the professional players!

This is where the former Maple Leaf Gardens was situated. Technically, it’s still here, but they completely gutted the inside for the University. From what I could see, there is a gym on the second floor. We came here for the free skating session. We were told sometimes they have upwards of 350 here for the free skate. The change rooms are adequate. The rink itself is nice. My 6 year old daughter had a lot of fun skating with her friends. We will definitely look to sign her up for skating classes this fall or winter if any are available.

The Toronto waterfront is one of the city’s true hidden treasures, a place where the pulse of the metropolis softens into something serene and restorative. Walking along the boardwalk, you quickly realize that this stretch of the city is not just about water meeting land—it’s about balance, reflection, and escape. HTO Park, with its golden sand and bright yellow umbrellas, feels like a slice of urban beach paradise. It’s almost surreal to sit there and look out at the shimmering lake, with the city skyline—glass towers and, of course, the CN Tower—standing proudly behind you. As you continue east, the Toronto Music Garden unfolds like a lyrical surprise. Designed in part by Yo-Yo Ma, it is both a garden and a performance space, where nature and artistry intertwine. Every curve of the path feels like a measure in a song, and if you are lucky enough to hear live music, it becomes an experience that resonates far deeper than sight alone. Nearby, the Toronto Book Garden offers another kind of quiet magic—a place where literature, reflection, and greenery mingle, encouraging you to slow down and perhaps lose yourself in words as well as in views. The entire walk is meditative. The lapping waves of Lake Ontario, the gentle chatter of birds, the sway of trees, and the hum of bicycles along the trail create a soundtrack that is both calming and alive. This waterfront is more than a destination—it’s an oasis. It offers you the chance to step away from the constant rush of Toronto and breathe in tranquility, all while the city itself remains in sight, reminding you that peace and hustle can coexist, side by side.

Awesome place to relax in evening sunshine & also chilling sunshine. You can find many boathouse’s to party and go for a water ride in various boats & water-bikes. You can even cycle nearby waterfront, it’s just cool exercise! You can also find restaurants nearby and also restrooms.

This was such a fun, spontaneous evening! It had a cool Oriental night market vibe with tons of food stalls, bouncy houses, and two live DJs. The food was tasty but definitely pricey, especially after the entrance fee (which wasn’t cheap). Highlight was launching lanterns into the water such a sweet little moment with my kid. It felt like a cool blend of culture-meets-festival energy. Would totally go again, just maybe pre-game with snacks first 😂.

The waterfront has changed so much over the years. For the most part for the better. It is very clean and well cared for. Strolling along the water is still possible and the views of the city are amazing.

Gibraltar Point Lighthouse, located on Toronto Islands, is a 19th-century structure surrounded by trees and accessible via footpath. It is shrouded in legend, with rumors of ghostly presence. Despite these tales, visitors mostly encounter natural elements like mosquitoes while walking to the landmark. The lighthouse is a 15-minute walk west from Center Island beach and attracts many people engaging in activities such as walking, biking, jogging, and even day camp excursions for children.
Walked nearly a hour to visit this cool piece of history it was awesome not gonna lie. However I made the rookie mistake coming during the winter so the bike rentals and food areas were closed and the ferry directly to Hanlan’s Island so I walked from Wards Island to here.

Second oldest lighthouse in Canada (1808), 82 feet high Nice but not wow…
Dimitar M — Google review
Very cute and old lighthouse, full of history and easy to reach and enjoy. The surrounding areas are cool and full of stuff to do.
Donny C — Google review
A really cool piece of architecture. This lighthouse is a neat tower and a nice site to visit when exploring Toronto Island park. This is a top attraction on the island and one you should try and get to when exploring the area.
Matt H — Google review
The Gibraltar Point Lighthouse, standing quietly on the western edge of Toronto Island Park, is one of the city’s most atmospheric and storied landmarks — and a superb subject for photographers drawn to history, mood, and coastal scenery. Built in 1808, it’s the oldest surviving lighthouse on the Great Lakes and one of Toronto’s oldest buildings, exuding a sense of mystery and solitude that makes it perfect for evocative photography. Surrounded by trees and dunes, the lighthouse rises from its secluded setting in weathered stone, with its octagonal tower contrasting beautifully against the sky and lake. Its location, slightly removed from the more crowded parts of the island, means it’s often quiet — an advantage for photographers seeking stillness and clear compositions. Early morning mist or late-day golden light can transform the scene into something cinematic, with long shadows stretching across the sand and soft light warming the limestone walls. Legends swirl around Gibraltar Point — including tales of the lighthouse keeper’s ghost — giving it a slightly haunting aura that lends itself well to creative photography. It’s an excellent spot for experimenting with black-and-white shots, moody long exposures, or close-ups of texture and detail: the aged bricks, the lantern room’s ironwork, and the surrounding wild grasses that shift with the breeze. A short walk from Hanlan’s Point, the lighthouse is also near beaches and forested trails that offer complementary subjects — from wide lake vistas to intimate natural details. Drone photographers, where permitted, can capture dramatic perspectives of the lighthouse against the lake and skyline beyond. The Gibraltar Point Lighthouse is a place where time seems to slow down. For photographers, it’s a chance to step into Toronto’s past while framing the timeless relationship between light, structure, and landscape.
Paul P — Google review
It's the one of the oldest structure in Toronto built in 1808 it is also the oldest light house still remaining on the great lakes built of large stones. It is quite impressive light house, there is a myth of the light house keeper who was murdered there sometime in the 18 hundreds possibly by British soldiers, and is said to still Rome the grounds. It is just across the road from Gibraltar Point Beach.
Glenn D — Google review
Nice lighthouse in Hanlan’s Point along a nice path for walking and biking. Brings back memories to when we went to the top of the lighthouse at night after hearing the story that it was haunted when we had school trip to Island School in primary school. 😆
Wendy — Google review
If you are up for a long and relaxing walk among the beach and through the islands- this place is for you. We also rented a bike cart for 4 people and had a great experience. On the weekend of course it's busy - better get water and snacks with you. We will be back definitely for a family bbq, as here is a lot of space for any activity.

Lavelle is a luxurious rooftop venue located 16 stories above King St. W in downtown Toronto. During the day, it offers a beach club atmosphere with a pool, loungers, and private cabanas where visitors can relax and enjoy cocktails. At night, it transforms into a hotspot for food enthusiasts and stylish individuals who gather at the modern restaurant for exceptional Brazilian and Japanese cuisine or at the lounge bar for pre-club drinks.
I went there with zero expectations, I didn't have reservation, they kindly offer me a table in the back, place that if you see my picture is completely nice, we were attended by Lucy, server has a great attitude, explaining everything and helping me to decide what to order she literally rocks. Let's talk about the food, the sushi (Kriptonite roll) was delicious, the guacamole was absolutely fantastic, has a different combination of flavors that make a unique dish, from the protein I ordered AAA Sirloin Steak, what a nice and unique sauce, all together makes and experience, from dessert I was already full but going to a place and no trying the desserts its like not going, Lucy helps me in this and she offers me the lemon lavender cheesecake, what a nice surprise, its in my top 3 of desserts in Toronto, from the drinks I love the whisky sour, made properly, you can get wrong with a classic cocktail, is not a cheap place at all but definitely feels OK to spend here
Alberto V — Google review
Sandy was our waiter and she was amazing! At first we were seated in the far back of the restaurant and I didn’t feel like we would get the full experience being tucked away at the back. I asked to move to a more appealing seat and my request was granted without hesitation. There was a spider near where we were seated and a male worker had no problem killing it for me lol. We went for my bday dinner and she surprised us with complimentary shots. It was my first time there and my experience was amazing! The manager also helped out with our dining experience and I thought that was really nice. I will definitely be going back! Thank you for such a fantastic experience!

Dhruv was our host both times we went and he was the best! Made the experience worth it. The jerk chicken tacos were soft and juicy, the blue island Margs were amazing! We made sure we came back after our first visit despite only being here for 3 nights. The views were great too
Katarzyna S — Google review
We came as part of a work event on a Tuesday night. It was a large group of us and two other tables in the restaurant. Our server tried to handle our tables with the assistance of lots of runners and what appeared to be a manager. They (the server) did not crack much of a smile and a couple of facial expressions could be read as frustration with our taking time to decide on some drinks. They never connected with our tables in a meaningful manner. Some of us received our meals and there was a gap while the rest of the table waited for their meals. Some of the meat was not cooked to the preferences of my co-workers (too rare) it seemed to be a bit of an inconvenience to correct. The three course set menu was a reasonable choice for its price. The views from the deck and windows are unsurpassed. We went out onto the patio and it was breathtaking but many of us noticed the green in the water even though it was dusk and was an unpleasant sight. (Understand the time of the year but then drain the pool if you aren't keeping it up) I get that we aren't the restaurant's target market (we are older and not hip) but the amount of money spent would have appreciated a bit friendlier service.
Valdene C — Google review
Not a bad place to spend time with the company, I wouldn't say the food was special. we liked the small burgers they were really delicious. Also, we ordered sushi, it was not bad. This place is good to see the city frim rooftop .
Kira M — Google review
All plates I ordered were generally great. Their price is also reasonable. Moreover, our table’s server Tania(?) present nice service. She deserves handsomely paid👍👍 I’m def pulling up there again.
유제영 — Google review
This rooftop has the potential to be one of the best in Toronto. The atmosphere is absolutely beautiful — the view, the layout, and the vibe are all top-notch. However, the service didn’t quite match the setting. It felt a bit unorganized, with people sitting and placing drinks wherever they wanted. There didn’t seem to be much attention to those who had reserved tables or ordered food. I understand it gets busy on weekend nights, but with better management, the experience could be greatly improved. That said, I really enjoyed the spicy margarita — the flavor was bold and well-balanced, and it stood out as one of the better cocktails I’ve had recently. With a bit more structure and service quality, this place could easily become one of the top rooftops in the city.
Sobhan — Google review
It's my first time visiting lavelle and surely, it won't be my last. This place on the roof deck has the most gorgeous view of the CN tower and Toronto skyline. Pair this with a pool that you dip into, excellent service from the food servers and mouth watering meals and drinks, this is the perfect place to enjoy the summer. ❤️ Some of my faves from their menu are: jerk chicken tacos and sushi 🌊 Pool use: $15/person with towel service 🗒️What we got: 🍸Tequila sunrise 🍸Aperol spritz 🍣Crazy crab sushi 🍣 Sweet and spicy tempura sushi 🌮 Jerk chicken soft shell tacos 💛 Hawaiian nachos 🌽 Corn ribs 🥄 One bite

The Great Hall is a stunning venue that offers a variety of experiences. Visitors can explore the conservatory and enjoy views of downtown from the top of the towers. It's an ideal place to spend a few hours, whether attending a concert with exceptional sound quality, celebrating a flawless wedding, or participating in events like art crawls. The spacious location features multiple halls and balconies with great views, making it suitable for various indoor events.
When did actually go in November 10th event it was nice and fun place and the parking is nearby only so you can park there and there are a couple of parking options nearby cheap options this whole consists of two places of bottom floor and the ground floor but it's just very squeaky because it's made out of wood
Nitin G — Google review
Yea solid venue, love concert halls this size, feels very intimate and connected to the music and band but still big enough to have a decent size crowd that can really roar. Toronto has a few venues like this now and it's great, typically the shows are more affordable and offers options to more obscure bands that still make it worthwhile coming here as they can fill the hall. Security was fast and efficient. Getting through the doors was easy. The bar was well stocked and service was prompt. Everything was clean and organized and well laid out. Two criticisms 1 The sound crew seemed to have some issues mixing for both bands. Both bands were signaling them throughout their sets. This is not exclusively a problem to the great hall, every venue in Toronto has this issue it seems like. Can the sound techs in the city please figure it out? The music is always A) too loud to the point that speakers are peaking and B) instruments aren't mixed well where you always have one instrument over powering the others. Please, please, please - venue owners you need to pressure the sound techs to do better, more testing, more practice, more work with the artist ahead of time etc because we are robbing fans by not being able to hear these artists at their best. 2 It was way too hot in there. Try improving the A/C, if it was even on? It didn't ruin my experience but overall I feel like it could have been more fun if the mixing and temperature were improved.

We had our wedding at The Great Hall and it was truly the most incredible experience from start to finish. The venue is absolutely stunning and full of character. We used the entire building: Longboat Hall, The Great Hall, and the Conversation Room, and our guests haven’t stopped raving about how beautiful everything was, how smoothly the day flowed, and how exceptional the staff were. From the early planning stages right through to the day of, the team went above and beyond. Mark is an absolute dream to work with, and James, along with every staff member we encountered, was kind, responsive, and incredibly supportive. They created a warm, welcoming atmosphere and handled every detail with care, allowing us to fully relax and be present throughout the day. We’re still buzzing from the experience and already dreaming up excuses to come back. The Great Hall is a true gem in the city. Any event hosted here is in the best possible hands. We are forever grateful to have been married here.

Mark and the staff at the Great Hall hosted our wedding and did an incredible job. Mark is very accommodating and easy to work with. The coordination with vendors was seamless. The bar service was fantastic. Great drinks, no waits, good times. I would highly recommend the Great Hall.

I've photographed several weddings in this beautiful space and I always love coming back! So much character and charm in the main hall. The light in the Drawing Room and the Conversation Room is beautiful for ceremonies & cocktail hour. Lovely staff too!

The Great Hall is a stunning concert venue that also serves as a wonderful location for a wedding. The staff are incredibly friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. Everyone at the Great Hall was very genuinely invested in making sure our event went well from start to finish. While there were a few unexpected turns, the staff at the Great Hall did a wonderful job of working with our vendors to keep things running smoothly. We didn’t really know how much went in to putting on a big event like this, but having the support and expertise of Mark and his team made the process a whole lot easier, and the end result was absolutely perfect!

I had an incredible experience with my best friend! Our helicopter ride was amazingly smooth, thanks to our skilled pilot. The staff were super helpful, guiding us every step of the way. Although the 7-minute ride felt a bit brief considering the $149 per person price tag, the experience itself was truly worth it.

The Writers Room Bar, located on the 17th floor of the Park Hyatt Hotel in Toronto, recently underwent an extensive renovation and reopened with a fresh new look. This iconic cocktail lounge offers a romantic setting with leather and suede decor and a large terrace providing sweeping south-facing views of the city. The bar maintains its mysterious vibe while serving hand-crafted cocktails and an elevated menu of bar bites.
Been here 3 times so far and it’s becoming one of my chill favourite spots - Love the ambiance! The food is pretty decent. My favourite dessert is the White chocolate pot de creme. So good! 🤌

This bar has an absolutely stunning view of the city 😍 it’s worth going just for that alone. The cocktails are excellent and the beef tartare was very flavorful and definitely worth trying!!! The only downside is that the staff wasn’t very friendly, but overall it’s still a great spot for a special evening in Toronto😍
Anastasiia S — Google review
I visited the Writers Room Bar at Park Hyatt and absolutely loved the experience. The espresso martini was rich, strong, and perfectly balanced. The dessert had the ideal harmony of sweet and sour flavors, very refined and delicious. I also enjoyed the small touches like the popcorn, which made the experience both elegant and cozy. The atmosphere is calm, stylish, and relaxing, with a beautiful view and a refined lobby vibe. It’s the perfect spot if you want to enjoy quality drinks and dessert in a sophisticated yet peaceful setting.
Shatha H — Google review
What a fantastic spot! I honestly didn’t expect the food to be this good for a cocktail bar. But every bite surprised me. The corn ribs were addictive, the shrimp cocktail was fresh, lamb ribs fall-off-the-bone tender and that pineapple rum cake was the perfect sweet ending. The cocktails were top-notch... creative, balanced and beautifully presented. Service was quick, friendly, and super attentive without ever feeling rushed. It’s one of those places that gets everything right — food, drinks, and vibes. Can’t wait to go back!

This chic yet classic bar is located on the 17th floor of the Park Hyatt Toronto, and serves one of the best bar food and drinks in the city. The corn ribs, smash burger & fries, and dill pickle popcorn were all outstanding, while the service was attentive and approachable. Lastly, the views of UofT and Queen's Park can't be beat! I would highly recommend this bar to anyone in the city looking for a drink.

The writers room bar had some hits and some miss but the overall ambience and the friendly staff made this place a worthwhile visit! Hits of the night: - very iced latte martini: light, creamy and sweet, taste like an alcoholic ice capp - oysters: fresh and sweet - grilled calamari: ⭐️ of the night , perfectly tender and a wonderful grilled taste Miss of the night: - korean fried chicken: this tasted more like sesame chicken , not bad but not good overall mediocre - beef tartare: wayyy too salty, needed some fried nori chips to balance out the salt
