Bakery
Blackbird Baking Co. in Kensington Market and Riverside offers a delightful array of baked goods, including baguettes, bread loaves, cakes, tarts, and buns. The principal owner and chef, Simon Blackwell, comes from a long line of family bakers and specializes in hand-crafted sourdough that is slow-fermented to perfection. This bakery has become a staple in Toronto's bread scene since its opening in 2014.
Best bakery in town, love their Cannelle, Croissant and chocolate cork. Mari was very gentle and kind with us.
Allan G — Google review
The bread at Blackbird has its own flavour, their subtle yet unique taste will fill your nose from a block away. My nose always pulls me back in, I can’t just walk by their tiny storefront! I love the wide variety of breads, we’ve tried many new types but my favourite remains the focaccia. My dad loves the sourdough ryes, my mom loves the pastries and my sister is on my team, team focaccia. I often stock up and bring bread when I go visit my fam. It freezes well but you’ll have to slice any unsliced loaves yourself. It is a little on the pricey side and they stopped making my favourite focaccia (pecorino) almost a year ago but it remains on the menu which makes me hopeful and then disappointed every time I go. The original taste is owed to the sourdough starter that’s been a family heirloom of sorts. Mad respect. Make sure you go earlier in the day if you have a specific or tall order as some breads sell out and they’re all made early in the morning.
Tyne G — Google review
oh my god these pastries were delectable. We went early on a Monday morning, and while a lot of the neighboring stores were closed, the smell of fresh pastries really drew us in. I had the pesto tomato pastry and also the almond croissant. Both were so fresh, flaky, and full of great flavor. This might have been the best almond croissant I’ve ever had. Loved it
Ethan — Google review
Delicious baked goods in an interesting neighborhood! I had a drip coffee and a kouign-amann. As soon as I finished my pastry I wanted another. Definitely stop by if you are in Toronto and take a stroll around Kensington Market. Seating is limited but was no problem for us when we arrived shortly after opening on a Saturday.
Alexia B — Google review
Ordered an apple pastry from here and it was affordable and very very delicious! I thought they were Amish but nope they just make good pastries. I wish the place was bigger though so i could lounge, work, and savor the baked goods... but other than that, all was perfect.
Leonard — Google review
Chocolate croissant wasn't as flaky as I'd like. The danishes were well made but a tad sweet.
Cody T — Google review
This bakery is special. You can tell it is loved by the locals for the wide selection of fresh breads but it’s worth a stop as a visitor for the pastries. The buckwheat financiers are exceptional. An excellent lemon tart, and viennoiserie as well.
Eldon M — Google review
Updated , I’m glad to hear that . Thank you for your response. I’ll visit again on the weekend. ======================== The multigrain bread is fresh and soft. Even though I ate it right after buying, I noticed quite a bit of stale smell and aftertaste. I’m curious if there’s a particular reason for using a lot of preservatives. I’d appreciate it if you could share the reason in the comments.

Flour mill
Brodflour, located in Liberty Village, goes beyond just baking bread by milling its own flour on-site. By using organic Canadian grains and a stone mill, they produce fresh flour for their diverse range of breads and treats. From sourdough ryes to heritage grain challah, each loaf is made with high-quality ingredients that result in fragrant and chewy textures.
You know when you look up a place online and wonder if the food is actually as good as it looks? Well, in this case, the food is EVEN BETTER! I don’t know how that’s possible, as I’m not a baker myself, and fail to understand the magic of, and the science behind, baking. Brodflour might have THE BEST croissant in Toronto, and the focaccia slice (we tried the cheesy one) is next level! We’ve been here twice, and we will definitely be back!!! Also really enjoyed going on a Saturday when the outdoor Farmer’s Market kiosk is next door. Felt like I could balance out my pastries with some high quality fruits and veggies.

A nice cozy place but definitely struggling with space crunch due to the hype. Barring the space to place yourself, everything on the menu is a must try. We had the garlic cheese n chives danish with oat flat white for a sweet n savory combo. This was followed by their breakfast muffins, which, in all honesty was just ok. The margarita focaccia was surprisingly good. A must try. Recommend going sooner than you expect the crowd to be low. We also took home a loaf of their classic bread. :) 8/10

Wow cannot describe how good the cardamom knot was! All the pastry’s looked amazing, will be coming back to try more and get some bread! 🍞 The coffee was phenomenal 15/10 🤤☕️ Very much worth the drive from Burlington for this gem!
Estelle B — Google review
food is 5 star, coffee on the other hand is not, it did not taste good. In regards on food: we ordered a breakfast sandwich with extra bacon (+0.50) and it was super good, simple but tasty, it comes in a english muffin that was very soft, also a smoked turkey sandwich, this was the best of all, really nice, bread was crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside, also ordered a bird hearth bread (sliced) to take home, liked it. When it comes to sweets we tried brownie and salted chocolate chip cookie, for me it a must try, chewy and not over sweet, the right amount of sweet and salt! I would go back but for the food only!
Nilibeth S — Google review
Came in to try the breakfast sandwich, the Brod latte, and their special pastry. The Brod latte was interesting, I’ve never had something quite like it before. It was good to try, but it didn’t wow me enough to order again. That said, I can see how it could really hit the spot for someone else with different tastes. Unfortunately, they were out of arugula, so I couldn’t experience the breakfast sandwich as it’s meant to be served. I had already paid before they mentioned this, which put me in a bit of an awkward spot. Even so, the sandwich was still really good, and the pastry was a nice touch. Overall, I’d say the food was solid. And honestly, when it comes to a great breakfast sandwich, the “special sauce” is always starting with amazing bread, which they definitely know how to do. I’d definitely come back again!

I just had the most buttery almond croissant I have ever tasted. Best paired with a nice cup of flat white. The staff were all friendly. Would visit again.
Allan P — Google review
Picked up a cardamom twist and a flat white. Both were fantastic. Would love to come back and try more treat and the breads.
Colin E — Google review
Went midday on Friday and only waited about 2 minutes in line. I had an americano, yummy coffee blend, not bitter! I also had a smoked salmon sandwich. The bagel it came in was so nutty/toasty and delicious. The labne was a nice twist to the typical cream cheese. I also had a pain suisse that I ate next day and it stayed moist and yummy. I was able to sit inside. Just time your visit, and it lives up to the hype. Smells like heaven!

Forno Cultura is a stylish and inviting Italian bakery with a French influence, renowned for its artisanal baking traditions. While it's rooted in Italian culinary heritage, the bakery also offers notable French-inspired pastries and breads such as baguettes and croissants. With a commitment to quality and craftsmanship, Forno Cultura has earned a reputation as one of Toronto's top French bakeries.
As a traveler and amateur foodie, Forno Cultura lights everything I love about food. A trip to Toronto is not complete without at least a stop or two here. This is a local gem. The food - pastries - sandwiches - lattes are as fresh as it gets. And you get to see these artisans working their craft. An absolute must enjoy and the people watching is second-to-none.
Chris Y — Google review
Love this place! They have some of the best grab-and-go breakfast options in the city, and the cookies are a must — you really can’t go wrong with any of them. They’re a bit pricey for how small they are, but absolutely worth it for the quality and flavor. Not much outdoor seating, but there’s some available inside for when you want to enjoy your treats on the spot.
Naghmeh H — Google review
I got a recommendation to try this place in Toronto and I have to say that the culinary experience was somewhat underwhelming. Thing is - we went in with high expectations given the buzz, and I was a bit disappointed with the food. Not that it’s not good - on the contrary, if you like bread and pastries, this place does it well - but when it comes to breakfast sandwiches, I felt they were bland. Their coffee s good though - and they have this open kitchen concept which I thought was cool. Overall, it’s still is a place to try given the quality of the ingredients used - but if you like flavors - you might wanna stay away from the egg sandwiches. It’s also on the pricey side - we paid 43$ for 2 sandwiches and 2 flat whites + 1 baba au rhum.
Rana H — Google review
Everything I've tried has been delicious, from the cookies (my absolute favourite is amaretti di pistacchio) to the pizza slices which usually have seasonal toppings. You can tell the coffee is great quality. The staff is really lovely as well.
Christen — Google review
I was really impressed with the quality here! The bread is incredibly fresh and has a unique, interesting flavor. I tried one of their sandwiches and it was absolutely delicious — super fresh, tasty, and well put together. Definitely worth a visit if you appreciate good bread and quality ingredients!
MrSorenaa — Google review
Forno Cultura on King has terrific coffee, excellent sandwiches, and a cozy, authentic vibe that makes you want to linger. The cappuccino I ordered was fantastic — rich, smooth, and perfectly balanced. My partner and I also loved the sandwiches; you can tell the ingredients are fresh and the bread is top quality. One small thing: unless I completely missed it, there didn’t seem to be a clear coffee menu inside. We ended up ordering a bit blindly, but luckily everything turned out great. There’s a chance I just didn’t spot it, but it might be helpful if the options were a little more visible for first-time visitors. The only other downside was how warm it was inside — even on a mild fall day (around 20°C), it felt noticeably hot. Otherwise, this place is outstanding and well worth a visit for anyone who loves great coffee, fresh food, and a relaxed café atmosphere.
Lucas C — Google review
I had high hopes for Forno Culture given all the buzz, but overall it was just okay. The sandwiches were fresh, but nothing particularly stood out in terms of flavor. Bread was decent, but a bit too chewy for my liking. The ingredients seemed good quality, but the combinations felt kind of safe and uninspired. Service was friendly, Prices are on the higher side, and I didn’t feel the experience or food quite justified the cost. Not a bad place by any means, but I’m not in a rush to come back. Might give it another try in the future to see if things improve.
Abby G — Google review
I feel like for a bakery, it was disappointing for the worst part of the sandwiches to be the bread. Very hard and dry, I fear they gave us bread from days before. The much drool sandwich was really good in its fillings but the rest I just couldn’t finish. I’m not sure if I’d go back.

Mabel’s Bakery & Specialty Foods is a beloved French bakery in Toronto, known for its artisanal breads, pastries, and grab-and-go meals. The bakery takes pride in its use of organic and locally sourced ingredients, reflecting a commitment to sustainability and quality. With four locations across the city, each shop offers neighborhood-specific flavors and a cozy atmosphere reminiscent of a homestyle bakery. Mabel’s emphasizes freshness by making everything from scratch without preservatives.
Hands down the BEST croissant I’ve had in Toronto. Crispy on the outside, soft and slightly moist on the inside, with perfect layers and an incredible buttery aroma. The balance of texture and flavor is just chef’s kiss. You can taste the quality and care in every bite. I wasn’t expecting much—but WOW. It blew both me and my husband away. We looked at each other after the first bite and literally went: “Oh. My. God.” Thank you, Mabel’s. I didn’t know how badly I needed a perfect croissant in my life until now.

Great sausage rolls and great chocolate chip oatmeal cookies! Made by hand and the service was lovely, by friendly folks who clearly love what they're doing. You have to pay for premium ingredients and the time it's made with care, so be forewarned it's not cheap, but it's worth it for a treat!
Ken T — Google review
4.66 Stars. Just ate the pretzel bun ($1.49) at home - warmed it up and added Kielbasa and old cheddar with mustard - it was good. Service was great, changed our selection and so lovely about it. Bought a couple vegan items to share with family and they look great. We considered cool drinks but they were a bit pricey. I would recommend going here for sure.
Kim M — Google review
We were walking in the area when we wanted something sweet and saw this bakery. They had a vast collection of items and we ended up going with the brownie. This is one of the most decadent brownies I've had as it had a good, harder texture on the outside and fudgy on the inside which made it so great. We shared one brownie between the two of us and it definitely hit the spot. They also have warm drinks available which I may get the next time I'm here.
Durugshan W — Google review
I was at the bakery recently with a friend, sitting in the back enjoying some empanadas, when things got really uncomfortable. One of the staff members, a woman in a dress who seemed to be in charge… started yelling at another employee. It was loud enough that we both looked at each other, unsure of what was going on. The girl at the front noticed we were clearly uncomfortable and came to the back to quietly close the door. It felt like an attempt to remove us from the yelling, which we appreciated. The whole situation shouldn’t have happened, though. The food was good, but the atmosphere was completely thrown off. Hope the staff get treated better.
Steve B — Google review
I had the sausage roll, which had a generous amount of meat. The chocolate croissant was buttery and flaky with a great chocolate-to-pastry ratio. There's limited seating available, and paid street parking is also limited.
Josephine N — Google review
Friendly staff and great bread. I especially appreciate that they cut the bread for you. I don't know why but most bakeries in Toronto don't cut the bread. This for me is a great selling point, I don't mind walking a.bit more if they can cut the bread for me.
Marta R — Google review
Decent bakery with lots of interesting options. I tried their chai latte, almond chocolate croissant, and date square. My favorite was the croissant even though it wasn’t that fresh. I just wish they had seating spaces and didn’t use tea bags for their chai latte.

St John's Bakery is a unique artisanal bakery with a social-service employment ethos, operated by St. John the Compassionate Mission. The bakery offers organic bread baked using traditional French techniques, including sourdough bread made from a starter that originated in Europe 300 years ago. Customers praise the warm and welcoming atmosphere of the small Broadview storefront and recommend trying the Celtic and Maria breads, as well as the delicious blueberry and chocolate scones.
This tiny bakery has its own charm. They bake one of the best sourdough breads in Toronto. They have been recipients of social employment awards because they’ve been providing working opportunities for less fortunate individuals.

The place smells really fresh and of a good bakery... I had the scone and the chocolate croissant... The bread seemed very very delicious as well. I will get it next time maybe... The service was quick... The ambience was nice... I would for sure come back to this place...

Freshly baked breads. Love the olives and coriander sour dough loaf, so fragrant and delicious. Little expensive at $8:50 but totally worth for the quality & taste. Would want to try out their other breads and bakery items.

From the tiny unpretentious store front you’ll find helpful and humble staff that have same day freshly made Sourdough breads that are fantastic. The star of the Sourdough bread lineup for me is the deliciously terrific Cilantro Olive Sourdough loaf, and keep in mind this is all created with people who care and try to better the lives and human condition of others by feeding us the most basic of ingredients, the scones are just as delicious.
Sam J — Google review
This bakery has great quality of everything they bake. Bread is baked fresh daily. I love coming here every Saturday morning to get a couple of their delicious blueberry scones. Get there early because it's usually gone by noon.

AMAAAAZING breads!! The olive cilantro loaf is my favourite. Their great service and delish baked goods are only made better by their employment mission. Always happy to support a business that’s doing so much good.

Finally wandered in here a couple of weeks ago after ages of meaning to, and I’m so glad I did. The people here are so sweet and friendly. I got a Celtic sourdough loaf, blueberry scone, and an americano. The scones are delicious and not overly sweet, and the coffee! Omg it was perfect, really hit the spot. The bread was really good. This will be a new go to on morning walks moving forward. It was super clean, bright, and airy inside too. So warm and welcoming 💜

Bakery
Prairie Boy Bread is a renowned bakery in Toronto, founded by Grant MacPherson, offering a variety of high-quality bread. The bakery started as a wholesale business and farmers market staple before expanding to brick-and-mortar locations in Dufferin Grove, Geary Avenue, and Yonge and St. Clair. Their signature double-fermented multigrain loaf is made from four organic flours and undergoes nearly 48 hours of fermentation for exceptional flavor.
I visited this cute bakery for the first time for getting a surprise bag through Too Good To Go app. I got three good texture and tasty sourdough breads. I think their starter is not too sour like other bakeries, which is good for me and my family love them:)

What can I say, people in pairie boy bread know what they are doing!! Great sourdough bread workshop. Very recommended if u want to buy bread or take a workshop. My wife and I loved every minute of it. Thank you John for the experience.

This is a fabulous little spot that should not be missed. All organic, all small farms are the mandate of Prairie Boy. 5am the baking starts and goes all day creating glorious breads, pastries, quiches and so much more. Drop in for a coffee, watch the bakers and leave with many loaves. Please follow @joannasable on instagram for more food fun.

So nice to have this bakery in our neighbourhood. Always fresh and friendly staff. I love their croissants and rye bread.
Andrea K — Google review
This was an amazing time! Well worth the wait. So much info and hands on. Love that it was hands on. We also came home with a sourdough bread you make, dough ready to make a loaf the next day, 2 kg of two different types of flour and, a sourdough starter! Thank you Prairie Boy for sharing this with me! Cheers
Tamara S — Google review
Just took a bread making class here and thought it was really awesome. John was very informative and taught us the sourdough technique from scratch. It was a long class at just a tad over 3 hrs but it was well worth it for a beginner like me. Went home with a loaf, some dough, starter, two bags of flour, and some detailed instructions. Will recommend anyone who’s interested in making bread from scratch to try this class.
Michael L — Google review
Very good sourdough bread. In my opinion, the best sourdough bread in the city. The loaves look beautiful and the bread is airy with a noticeable sourdough taste. I appreciate also having the option of pre-sliced sandwich style bread. I've also been buying this bread to make homemade croutons (photo attached). I've also had the baguettes and the small buns. I appreciated the explanation for why Prairie Boy bread uses commerical baker's yeast to make their baguettes. I highly recommend this place

Bunner's Bakeshop is a cozy bakery that specializes in vegan, gluten-free, and soy-free sweet and savory baked goods. Their treats are known for being sweeter and often topped with buttercream frosting. The shop offers a variety of classic nostalgic treats like carrot cake cupcakes, gooey cinnamon rolls, and the popular Supersonic cookie. For those looking for custom cakes, Bunner's creates beautifully designed options with creative flavors such as bourbon pear and vanilla bean or the Best Chocolate Cake Ever.
Bunner's Bake Shop in Kensington Market is a must-visit for anyone looking for delicious vegan and gluten-free baked goods. They offer a wide variety of treats, from cakes and cookies to bars and other desserts. I was particularly keen to try their pies, but unfortunately, they were sold out by the time we arrived. This speaks to their popularity, so I'd recommend arriving early for the best selection. Despite missing out on the pie, I was still impressed with the other options available. I especially enjoyed their date squares, which were both sweet and chewy.

This is a good place to stop in for especially to take out and walk around the Kensington market or bringing home or for a gift. Place is clean and products are properly merchandised without any cross contamination. Products are tasty but a little on the pricy side. Overall for the gluten free audience this is a great place. If you don’t need their specific food requirements it would make more sense to try alternatives.

Wow soo many options ! I tried a cupcake and this jalapeño cheddar scone, miam ! Not dry at all, flavourful, I wish we had that shop in Montreal ! Everything is vegan and gf 🥰

We hired Bunner's to make a gluten free and vegan cake for our wedding and had an amazing experience! They were so easy to work with, and created a cake with the exact vision I had in mind. It also tasted amazing - Bunner's makes the BEST gluten free and vegan desserts, and I am so glad we used them for our wedding! We highly recommend them as a wedding vendor!

Bunner’s Bakeshop is honestly such a gem! I love that everything here is gluten-free, vegan, and nut-free it’s such a relief knowing you don’t have to double-check or worry about what’s in your food. The staff are always so kind and welcoming, and you can really tell they care about what they do. Everything I’ve tried has been super good fresh, flavourful, and made with love. Definitely one of my favourite spots for a treat I can actually feel good about!

Incredible Experience with Bunners! We had the absolute pleasure of working with Hannah from Bunners for our vegan, gluten-free wedding cake, and the experience was nothing short of amazing from start to finish. Hannah made the entire process fun, stress-free, and truly reflective of Bunners’ warm and vibrant brand personality. Not only was the cake stunning to look at, but it was hands-down one of the best vegan gluten-free desserts we’ve ever tasted—our guests couldn’t stop raving about it! The creativity, attention to detail, and love that went into every step of the process really showed. Bunners exceeded every expectation, and we couldn’t imagine celebrating such a special day without them. If you’re looking for a cake that’s as delicious as it is memorable, Bunners is the one!

Emmer, located on Harbord Street in Toronto, has quickly become a local favorite for its delectable sourdough bread, croissants, and pastries. The bakery's signature Sourdough Bread is a must-try with its chewy crust and pillowy inside. Owner Philip Haddad's dedication to perfecting his craft is evident in the array of viennoiserie, peanut buttermiso cookies, and bacon butty sandwiches offered at the shop.
Sausage roll: delicious, I love a savoury pastry so this one is it! The sausage itself had a really good flavour and pastry was so flaky. Mouthwatering. Pistachio croissant: reading the reviews, it's really hard to get ahold of but got one at 9:30am on a Saturday. I enjoyed it, filling was perfect amount of sweetness and the crusted pistachio was beautiful and crunchy. Glad I tried it but for $10, I don't think I'd get it again. Sausage Breakfast sandwich: delicious, must be the same sausage they use in the sausage roll. English muffin was nicely toasted and the hot sauce was a nice touch! Chocolate chip cookie was good, but for the price I wouldn't get it again. Bit of a pricier spot, but the pastries are good and service in the patio was friendly.

Emmer is truly next-level. I had the best croissant I’ve ever tasted — and that’s coming from someone who’s had them in France and New York. Everything we tried was phenomenal, from the pastries to the perfectly spiced chai. The customer service was just as impressive — warm, welcoming, and clearly passionate about what they do. It was all so good, I couldn’t leave without buying a T-shirt to rep Emmer in the Caribbean. A must-visit for any pastry lover in Toronto! Thank you so much Emmer team.

This bakery is quite underwhelming. The croissant I tried was far from impressive. The plain croissant had a nice crispy exterior, the inside was nearly raw. The Shakshuka Brioche was disappointing as well as it resembled a pizza more than anything else, completely masking the flavor of the eggs. Overall, my experience here was poor, especially considering the quality of other bakeries I've visited. I will not be returning.
Jamal S — Google review
This is one of my favorite bakery that you must try! Their croissants are simply amazing. Plain croissant is great but my personal favorite is pistachio croissant! However, it only comes out at specific time so please make sure to check their website or Instagram prior to your visit. You also can't pay for specific bakery in advance. You have to be there at the right exact time! I know it is troublesome but I guarantee you that if you are pistachio lover and serious about top notch bakery, this is the place!

Update: We came back earlier in the morning, and got to try some new stuff. I highly suggest coming early to get the pistachio croissant (limit 2 per customer). —— This is one of those places that everyone seems knows about in Toronto. Didn’t know what to try so we got a giant sesame bread (delicious and enormous), a chocolate chip cookie 🍪❤️, a dark chocolate croissant 🥐🥰 and a piece of strawberry snacking cake (loved the name). There’s still so much to try so we will be back 💯

Best pistachio croissant in the city, and I’ve tasted many. Great texture and I love that there’s not a lot of pistachio cream in the middle. Also had the breakfast egg muffin and it was delish. Homemade sausage patty was juicy and flavourful. They have outdoor seating so you can actually eat there.
Aileen L — Google review
Absolutely phenomenal! I have to admit that these are some of the best pastries I’ve ever had in my lifetime. The blueberry cream danish was heavenly, the sausage rolls were delicious and the perfect size, and the ham and leek quiche was so buttery and delicious. Our group would have continued to order more items from the menu if we had the stomach room for it. Flat whites were a perfect addition to the pastries. The covered patio outside was so lovely and relaxing. We will definitely be back! Highly recommend- get here early.. you won’t regret it. 🥰

🥐 Pistachio Croissant (Second Batch @ 12:45pm Saturday): Finally got my hands on it! Topped generously with crushed pistachios — visually satisfying. But I personally prefer the one from Ottawa where the filling is denser, almost like a soft mung bean cake — smooth and rich. Emmer’s version had less filling than expected. 🌰 Almond Croissant – Pretty standard. Might’ve been a bit cold, so it didn’t wow me. Just okay. 🍯 Cinnamon Morning Bun – Quite sweet, but nothing surprising. A bit underwhelming overall. ✨ If you’re going, the pistachio croissant is still worth chasing! Just make sure to check what time the second batch comes out.

Sud Forno is an Italian eatery that offers a unique dining experience with a main-floor cafeteria and an elegant, contemporary upper-level restaurant. The bakery showcases its rustic Italian staples, including the airy boule pane Pugliese and sourdoughs made with their special mother yeast. In addition to delicious pizza and gelato, Sud Forno takes pride in sourcing the best ingredients for their gelato from around the world.
The pizza here is truly special. You do not find dough like this just anywhere. The crust is perfectly baked and the vegetables taste incredibly fresh and high quality. Service was okay, but I had to ask a few times to understand the difference between the bakery and the restaurant, and about a pizza type they first said was not available but it actually was. Despite the small confusion, the amazing taste of the food makes up for it. Prices are on the higher side. We ordered two pizzas and a soda for 63 dollars, which felt a bit expensive.

Consistent espresso like their other location on Queen. Nice atmosphere. Lots of seating including a spacious upper level. Also, outdoor seating on a nice day. This one, I believe, has more sitdown food options whereas I prefer the other one for market items. Clean bathrooms w/o needing a key. Don't bother with the place across the street.

Complementary bread and olive oil were nice . The truffle pasta - sauce January great and pasta texture is excellent but sausage is in small pieces that is very unappealing as like already chewed food. The truffle did not taste fresh. I won’t order it again.
F M — Google review
At Sud Forno, I had the chance to try their latte and tiramisu, and both were excellent. The latte was smooth and well-balanced — the espresso was rich but not overpowering, perfectly complemented by creamy, velvety milk. It’s the kind of coffee that feels crafted with care. The tiramisu was light yet indulgent, with just the right amount of sweetness and a lovely coffee aroma. The texture was airy but creamy, and the cocoa dusting on top added a perfect finishing touch. It reminded me of the traditional Italian dessert but with a fresh, modern twist. Together, these two made for a comforting and satisfying treat. Sud Forno clearly pays attention to quality and detail, making it a great spot for both coffee lovers and dessert fans alike.

The service quality has improved significantly since last year and I like the fact that there’s no time limit for laptop users. Plenty of sittings and consistently good coffee. The verity of pastry at this location is usually not as wide as their other locations. Amazing photo shot atmosphere.

After a morning of back-to-back meetings (and being ghosted twice in between), I decided to take myself out for lunch—best decision ever. I stumbled upon a friend-recommended spot on Yonge and went straight for their much-praised pistachio cornetto (cornetto al pistachio, as the sign proudly says in Italian). One bite and I was done for—the pistachio cream, the crunchy bits, the soft pastry, all glued together by a layer of white-chocolate icing. Totally indulgent, definitely not healthy, but hey—today’s workout justifies it. The vibe works for everyone: suited-up office warriors, daydreaming wanderers like me, and tourists looking for a quick bite. Downtown Toronto really delivers.

Wanda's Pie in the Sky is a cozy bakery located in Toronto's vibrant Kensington Market neighborhood. This charming establishment offers a variety of homestyle pies, cakes, and other delectable treats. It's a popular spot for dessert lovers, known for its mouthwatering pies like Black Forest, Chocolate Banana, Rainbow, Lemon, and Mango Chiffon Cheesecake. Whether you're craving fruit pies, cream pies, or custard and nut pies, Wanda's has it all.
This place always has a warm, homey vibe to me whenever I visit. The staff are also warm and friendly. They have a wide selection of pies to choose from, as well as other pastries and even savoury food. I had a slice of the Wild Blueberry pie with a mocha. The pie was tasty. I like the texture of the dough. The blueberry filling is a bit tart, but not overwhelming. My only negative is it is a pretty expensive slice, and the portion is not the biggest. The mocha was also nice, and I liked the depth of the espresso flavour along with the chocolate.

They have the best apple crumble pie I’ve ever had!! There was no wait, service was pretty quick and they warmed up my apple pie. I also got the 6inch pumpkin pie, it was alright but I’ve had better and wouldn’t get it again. They had a really nice patio and plenty of seating, it was very pleasant. I look forward to coming back and trying their other yummy pies!
Vivian I — Google review
there are so many choices of pies and treats at wanda’s, but honestly i think the best thing you can get is the pear cheddar grilled cheese — IT WAS PRETTY DARN AMAZING. while the sourdough bread was grilled to a crunchy crispy perfection, the interior was full of warm, melty, gooey, mellow-tasting cheese; a generous amount of wonderfully softened sweet, fruity pear slices; and silky soft caramelized onions. it may not look like an impressive sandwich, but its super comforting and absolutely perfectly for fall. on the other hand, i don’t think wanda’s pies were super lifechanging. they weren’t super fresh, the crust wasn’t very buttery or prominent, and the fillings were just quite sweet and mushy — although it’s not like they were bAD pies. i tried the apple crumble pie, which was full of a strong tart apple flavour; the pumpkin pie, which was like a creamy and light mousse that didn’t have a very strong pumpkin/spice taste like i was expecting??? and the bottom felt a bit underbaked and soggy; the chocolate pecan pie, which was mostly a very syrup-like sweet paste with large chunks of nutty pecan to balance the sugariness; and the carrot cake, which was honestly very disappointing because the frosting was just way too thick and sweet for me. also, they didn’t have ice cream/whipped cream when i went, and my “heated” apple crumble pie was not really warm at all which was sad. there are also a LOT of bees and flies and birds flying if you’re dining in.

Star of the show was the key lime pie. Just delicious! Really fun and eclectic vibe, suits the Kensington area well. Fun to eat pie while people watching out on the patio. There’s a piano inside where a patron was playing a silly little tune. I love places like this.

Went there to try the World Series, Coconut Cream Pie, that Joe Carter had the morning before he won the baseball series for Toronto. I can see why...the crust was flaky and moist, the cream was light and delicate. The filling of the pie had the perfect sweetness too. Definetly a pie worthy of a championship title. Love Kensington Market atmosphere, with patio sitting in front of bakery. A couple of dine in seats as well. Layout of bakery was good and staff were pleasant. Definetly will be returning to try more of Wanda's pies.

I placed a custom order for a German Chocolate Cake (10”) for $70 + tax, and also picked up two small Coconut Cream Pies and a slice of Mango Cheesecake, spending around $130 in total. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with everything I tried. Since this is a local, artisanal bakery, I was expecting desserts made from scratch using pure ingredients, but that clearly wasn’t the case. The coconut filling on the German Chocolate Cake tasted artificial, more like a sugary, out of box, paste mixed with sweetened shredded coconut and pecans, rather than the traditional cooked filling made with butter, eggs, milk, and coconut. There was no depth of flavor, just a strange, dry, artificial icing-like texture. This was meant to be a 10” cake for a group of 10, but I had 15 people at my event, and as you can see from the photos, almost no one ate it. The Coconut Cream Pies were also very underwhelming, lacking flavour entirely. The Mango Cheesecake was the best of the bunch, but still nothing memorable. Overall, I was disappointed by both the taste and quality of the cakes and pies. Sadly, I wouldn’t recommend anything from this bakery.

The bakery uses artesian spring water from their own source in Terra Cotta, Ontario to make their European breads and pastries.
Such lovely German bakery serving tasty and many options of pastries. Prices are very reasonable. The coffee that they brew is perfect. There are many bread options freshly baked. There is a room where you can seat and chill at the back of the Shop as well. Highly recommended for you to try.

I've been coming here for years, and always for their incredible 10 lb loaf of bread. It's absolutely fresh & delicious and worth the trip every time. Over the years, they've expanded their selection to include all kinds of pastries, cakes, and other baked goodies. There's even a cozy little café area where you can sit and enjoy a coffee with your treat. Just a heads-up: it's cash only, so come prepared!

Cash only. Fun to be able to see the factory floor. Great bakery and many fresh items made throughout the day. The pastries are so good. Staff are very friendly. Seems like a popular place for an afternoon tea/coffee. Clean facility. Clean washrooms. No Free WiFi. Pretty expensive in general. The dining area has some nice art. It can be messy and hot from the sun though. Lines can be long and slow.

Brick Street Bakery is a small chain that prides itself on its extensive menu of sandwiches, savory pies, cookies, and bread. They are known for using locally sourced, high-quality ingredients to make their products from scratch every day without any added preservatives. Their almond croissants and other pastries are particularly popular, as well as their artisanal bread used in handcrafted sandwiches. The bakery also offers British baking traditions such as soups and meat pies.
A cute small bakery located in Distillery. They serve a variety of pastries at an affordable price! The hot chocolate with whipped cream and marshmallows is worth getting when you want a hot drink on a cold day. Especially compared to the other options in the area during the Christmas market season, this is a great affordable option. The space is a bit limited but still some seating space.

Nov2024 Casual, no frills, and rustic bakery at the Historical Distillery complex that serves a wide range of baked goods and dishes. The sandwiches are huge and the listed menus are varied. Tastes are diverse to appeal to plenty of diners. The brewed coffee is typical drip type strong and cloudy. Service is counter takeaway style. Downside is that you need request for napkins despite them having a diy sermvice takeaway counter. No driniking water as well. Dining nooks are limited to small stalls and counters. Ideal for takeaways and very quick bites.

We stumbled upon this little gem while wandering through the Distillery District this Sunday morning looking for a place to sit and grab some breakfast. A lot of places did not seem to be open despite it being after 10am. Entered and were immediately greeted and after a short look around proceeded to order two breakfast sandwiches and a couple hot beverages. Service was super friendly and quick and the breakfast sandwich was over the top! FRESH, Tasty and a generous portion! Served on delicious whole wheat bread this was really a great food experience! The bakery has a cool vintage vibe and feels like a local bistro should. They do have a good selection of take out which we will definitely try at a later visit. There are stools and a small area on each side to enjoy your food or drink on site which we took advantage of. Thanks Brick St. ! Excellent Espresso too! ☕️

Perhaps it was just that I went after peak time, I'll extend the benefit of doubt. I was excited to have a Cornish pasty, I haven't had one in years, unfortunately it was a bit too dry and too salty. I didn't finish it. I had a butter croissant that had maybe been out a little longer than ideal but it was also quite dry. My coffee was burnt and bitter, I only managed a few sips. The staff member was friendly, the atmosphere got my hopes up, it's just too bad my expectations weren't met. Hopefully my experience is an outlier.

I was slightly disappointed. I love Portuguese egg tarts- these were acceptable- but missing something- I love when there is a hint of almond flavor- which these did not have. The cheesecake tart also disappointed me- really didn’t have much flavor at all. The iced latte was quite good. Just wish it had less ice and more latte.
MD062010 — Google review
This bakery has a casual, down-to-earth vibe. However, the prices felt a bit on the higher side. We ordered the Coronation Chicken sandwich and the Egg Salad sandwich. The fillings were tasty, but the bread was quite hard and dry, which made the soft fillings spill out as we ate—ending up a bit messy. Napkins aren’t placed out on a shelf for self-service, and they don’t seem to be provided unless you ask, so I’d recommend requesting a few when you pay. On the patio, pigeons and sparrows quickly gather around the tables, likely drawn by the crumbs. If you’re not comfortable around birds, just be aware—they do come quite close. While this visit was a bit disappointing overall, there were some other items—like tarts and pot pies—that looked really good, so I’d like to come back and try those next time.

Never had any disappointing products from this bakery and this is my go to sweets pick up place whenever I am in distillary district. This time I got minced meat tart, pecan butter tart, two different kinds of brownies. All of them were like homemade excellent comforting dessert.

a lovely little bakery/cafe right by the main entrance to the District. During warm months there are tables/umbrellas outside - for extra seating space - sadly now (November) they are gone. there are still some tall chairs by the windows available inside. a great place to grab something substantial - a good selection of sandwiches, pastries (including savoury - with some vegetarian options like the delicious Curry Veggie or Spinach FetaTurnovers). There are also sweet croissants and cookies and pies. Plus good coffee/hot beverages. you could also buy bread there - with many interesting varieties. Watch out for pigeons hanging out by the door, they are always trying to sneak in for some tasty crumbs ;)

Ok - I want to say that my photo does not do it justice, but it was a beautiful cake. It was creamy, rich and had a distinct coffee flavour in the icing. The cookies on top were a great touch as well, and it certainly was enough for 12-14 portions as advertised. I thought that it would be far less, but the cake was huge. I picked it up almost exactly at my set pick up time and it was quick. If you’re looking for a gluten free cake in the GTA, please try out this shop!

Nice gluten free bakery. Prices are a little high, but that’s normal for gluten free. It was very busy and the line moved slow at first, but everyone is excited to try the coffee and baked goods. I would’ve liked to see some pastries like croissants, but they are harder to make gluten free I am sure. I had one of the cookies, which was big and sweet.

This was just a great find west of the U of T St. George campus and the Spadina streetcar. Handheld sandwiches took about 15 minutes for our orders, and they were served warm and were great with plenty of fresh veggies. Gluten-free bread was soft yet firm in holding the sandwiches together. Nuts present, with one peanut butter cookie offering. GF cupcake with no nuts was not a cross-contamination issue for us with also a peanut allergy. There are 5 bar seats facing our the window and a couple small tables outside.

Fantastic iced soy latte, I got it every time! The baked goods are incredible, even compared to ones with gluten. In many cases (unless they're also vegan), I couldn't even tell they were gluten-free. If also vegan or dairy-free, things are often missing something, like moisture or texture. I also tried most of the cupcakes: -vanilla/chocolate is excellent -PB cup with chocolate cupcake base is the BEST imo -chocolate espresso is very good -s'mores is okay My favorite baked item is the Paleo Muffin! Dense, yummy, and moist. The peanut butter cookie and sugar cookies are good, but a little crumbly. The chocolate chip cookie (not vegan) is EXCELLENT! Chewy, rich, and well-balanced. The banana pecan muffin is also very good. The hot chocolate is creamy (with whole milk, of course) and delicious. The peanut butter oat energy bites are yummy, too! They often have free cupcake samples and offer day-old baked goods at reduced cost, which I often bought. This is my favorite cafe of a vast many in Toronto!

I've never been to a bakery dedicated to gluten-free with so many vegan options. They taste better than most cookies. I'd put them up as the top tier cookie experience. Just fantastic baked goods. They kindly explained to me how they make their baked goods, what kind of flours they use, and some recommendations for me. Highly recommend you try out their gluten-free vegan stuff, it tastes just as good as any excellent baked goods!

Every detail was perfect, and we received so many compliments from our guests. Thank you for putting so much care and creativity into our cake—it truly made our special day even more memorable. Thank you Alessandro and Leah!

I know this bakery has been around for a long time. I've tried and tried to like this bakery but I just cannot recommend it. As far as food presentation is on point. You can see from the photos the zeppole look great however they don't taste the best based on my testing of several other bakeries. The prices at the hot food counter have continued to rise and I now find them unreasonable for what you get. One thing I do like is the Sicilian bread.

Tre Mari Bakery in Toronto is a true gem! Their sfogliatella is hands down the best I've ever had—perfectly crisp, flaky, and filled with rich, flavorful goodness. Every treat here is crafted with care, and the pistachio desserts are absolutely divine. Beyond the incredible pastries, the atmosphere is warm and inviting, thanks to the friendly staff who always greet you with a smile. The customer service is top-notch, making every visit a delightful experience. If you're looking for authentic, high-quality Italian goods, this is the place to be. Highly recommend stopping by—once you do, you'll keep coming back for more!

A heartfelt thank you to the wonderful cake department at Tre Mari Bakery for their exceptional work and care. The Strawberry Delight cake was absolutely delicious — the custard cream was perfectly smooth and rich, and the fresh strawberries were sweet, vibrant, and bursting with flavor. It was a joy to meet the owner as well; your warmth and passion for the bakery shine through in every detail. The experience left me feeling truly welcomed and valued. Grateful for the kindness, the quality, and the sense of community you bring with every visit.

What a vibe! Wish I could post a bonus star for atmosphere. Walking in takes you right out of Toronto. So warm, vibrant, tons of culture. The food varies from deli to cafe to hot foods.

The most delicious cakes! We ordered a 3/4 slab all vanilla cake for a baptism and it was so delicious. Everyone raved about it, happy to have found our new go-to bakery. We’d love a location in the west end where we live but worth the trek.

This place is so excellent it deserves 5 stars all around. So happy I decided to walk in. 1. Great Lattes for less than $5 on most days. 2. SUPER FAST WIFI - 500 Mbps 3. Opens @7:00 AM every day, including Sundays They really spare no expense in delivering the perfect environment for their guests. Now I understand why they’ve been in business 65 years. Their staff seem to be in a pleasant mood too. It’s amazing - didn’t think I would ever find this in Toronto. Great work!!!!!!!!!

Roselle Desserts is a charming bakery located in Corktown, Toronto, known for its creative twists on traditional pastries and delightful crêpes, tea, and coffee. The bakery was founded by pastry chef Stephanie Duong and her partner Bruce Lee in 2015. Duong's background includes experience at the three-Michelin-starred Regis et Jacques Marcon in France and other impressive roles in France and Hong Kong.
Definitely one of the best pastry shops in Toronto. I’ve tried their Earl Grey and Strawberry Parfait, and I prefer the vanilla-based soft serve from the parfait over the Earl Grey. I’m not saying their Earl Grey isn’t good, but I would prefer a more pronounced taste of Earl Grey. That said, both soft serves come with an amazing texture, mouthfeel, and the perfect level of sweetness. I’ve also tried their Pistachio and Strawberry cake cups, both very nice. I appreciate that Rosella keeps their desserts in a well-balanced sweetness, allowing me to taste the different ingredients dancing together in the cup. They didn’t put cake in the pistachio one; instead, they used puff pastry. I am not a big fan of it, but I do think it’s a good choice, as it goes super well with their amazing pistachio cream. I find their Madeleine a bit dry, but I think I taste almond flour in it, which makes the taste less flat. I’ll definitely try other items from them in the future.

4/5 Amazing little bakery/pastry shop in Leslieville Toronto The Earl 10/10 🙌🏼 Maple Black Walnut Honey Cake 9/10 🙌🏼 Earl Grey Shortbread Cookies 10/10 🙌🏼 These are just some of the treats I tried and they were incredible 4/5 stars because of price it’s not exactly wallet friendly especially when you are ordering large quantities of treats I spent around 57$ on 6 items 🫣 Earl Grey Soft serve is what they are most known for in the summer months but everything they make is made with the best ingredients and the quality is not your typical margarine whip overly sweet kind of dessert it’s definitely worth a visit or two Their hours make it tricky for those outside of Toronto to get their hands on their products as they are only open a few days a week with limited hours and products that run out fast! I still loved my desserts I will be back for their earl grey soft serve 🍦🫖💕

Absolutely outstanding patisserie. Every visit to Roselle feels like a little celebration of taste — their desserts are crafted with remarkable precision, creativity, and genuine passion. The eclairs, mille-feuille, and their signature Earl Grey soft-serve are all executed to perfection. You can sense the French training behind every detail, from textures to balance of flavors. The space is bright and inviting, the staff always kind and attentive, and everything feels thoughtfully designed. Easily one of the best dessert spots in Toronto — refined, consistent, and worth every visit.

I had the fraisier, Earl grey mousse and a slice of mango passion fruit sponge cake. They were all good but I thought overpriced for what they were. Tasted good… but not amazing. The service was nice. I’ve been there for their soft serve with strawberries sundae and it was good but, again, I found it more expensive than what I thought it was worth.
Cathy B — Google review
Roselle doesn’t just do desserts, they do works of art you can eat — and “Next Level” soft serve is exactly that. Imagine Earl Grey tea got dressed up for a Michelin-star gala, then decided to throw in a zesty lemon surprise just to keep things playful. The swirl itself is impossibly creamy, perfumed with tea in the most delicate, elegant way. Then they go ahead and crown it with lemon curd, crisp pearls that crunch like tiny fireworks, and a buttery sable cookie just to remind you they’re not messing around. Every bite had me questioning if I should slow down to savor… or speed up before someone tried to steal it. Verdict: gone in minutes. This isn’t just ice cream. This is Next Level living. Would 100% recommend — bring a friend, but order your own because sharing is not realistic.

I live an hour away and roselle is most certainly worth the trek to this neighborhood. I wish they had longer hours. My fav things are the soft serve , the earl grey cake and the banana eclairs are to die for! The flavours are just perfect and not sickingly sweet. I thin the joke is they try and cater to Asian palates. I also appreciate how they partner with local producers for seasonal fruit items. I tried the corn cake on Friday and it was so unique and delicious. I dream about Roselle and it is my favourite bakery in Toronto !

Roselle is a hidden gem tucked into the heart of Corktown. It's my favourite go-to dessert spot in the neighbourhood, and often claims a lineup down the street (but don't worry, it moves fast). The Earl Grey ice cream and birthday cake cups are my personal favourites.

Ordered the 9inch earl grey cake from roselle for the first time and let me tell you, it was the BEST earl grey cake I’ve had in my entire life. It’s so worth the price and my boyfriend and his friends really really enjoyed it. Everyone asked where I got it from. Will definitely be returning for future birthday orders 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Mon K Patisserie is a charming bakery and cafe located in East York, offering a unique fusion of traditional French and Japanese-inspired baked goods and desserts. Run by a husband-and-wife team from Osaka, the patisserie showcases an array of delectable treats that reflect a blend of Japanese and French culinary influences. From classic butter croissants to seasonal matcha Mont Blancs, the pastries are known for their balanced flavors without being overly sweet.
Absolutely the best bakery! Have been coming to Mon K for years and always blown away by how delicious everything is! The croissants (chocolate almond, cinnamon, bechamel and bacon) and danishes (blueberry) are phenomenal! Incredibly flaky, buttery pastry -- delicate and flavourful. We buy their Chestnut buche de Noel every Christmas and it's always a showstopper. Their quiches and ham and cheese baguette sandwiches are super for lunch. They always have a weekly special -- never hesitate to grab one! Highly recommend!!

The prices are reasonable and every pastry I tried was delicious. I went a bit late, so some of the ones I wanted were already sold out. But I picked up almost everything that was left in the display fridge (except the whole cakes), and they were all great. I especially liked that nothing was too sweet. The level of sweetness was just right. Not really a complaint, but if I had to point out something, everything is takeout only, even if you want to dine in. Also, maybe because it’s so popular, many items sell out quickly. I really wanted to try the strawberry yogurt something and the chocolate something cake, but they were already gone. I live a bit far, so I’m not sure when I can go again, but I definitely want to come back for more!

This is my favourite type of small BUISNESS. Owed and operated by artisans proud of their creations. Proud they should be. Wonderful bakery. My favourite item was the puff pastry filled with perfectly balanced apple and cinnamon. Clean and well lit.

My family recently got some savoury and sweet pastries from this little patisserie and everything was absolutely lovely! For savoury, we got their Croissant Sandwiches including Egg Salad and Ham & Cheese. Both were flaky, delicious, and you could tell were freshly made! For sweet we got a Dark Chocolate Tart and two Matcha Tiramisu cakes, which were all pieces of art. The Matcha Tiramisu was creamy, luscious, light and not overly sweet. They were my favourite of the whole bunch and were absolutely DIVINE! We also got four of their Cream Puffs and one Coffee Chocolate Tart. The Cream Puffs were so fluffy and not overly sweet. The Coffee Chocolate Tart was also fantastic. Their other pastries and danishes are luscious! The staff were helpful and prompt at packing our rather large to-go order! This is a lovely place for pastries, whether you’re craving sweet or savoury!

Did you know French croissants made in Tokyo taste better than those made in Paris? Fortunately, we're able to experience the same Japanese influence locally, right here. Everything this little pastry shop makes is the best, including a high variety of French puffed pastry as well as beautiful pies and cakes, prepared sandwiches, salads and more. You will not be disappointed. Upd 06/15/2024 Always the best, Absolutely!

Amazing pastries and staff. We had the raspberry jam French beignet and the French toast. The French toast was amazing, do not sleep on that. The raspberry jam was very good. It is a little pricey and they only take credit over $10 so bring cash or debit. I highly recommend this bakery.

Rustic Bakery is an old-fashioned Italian shop located on Rustic Road, known for its traditional breads, pastries, hot dishes, gelato, and espresso drinks. Established in 1986, this no-frills establishment has expanded over the years to meet the neighborhood's demand for authentic Italian treats like cannoli and Calabrese bread. Customers praise the prompt and friendly service as well as the delicious tiramisu cake.
Rustic Bakery's hot food section is unbelievable. We ordered for the office penne with white sauce, tortellini with meat sauce, potatoes, garden salad, and rotisserie chicken. Everything was incredibly delicious and the service was top notch. They came on time, brought all the plates and utensils requested, and the food was warm and ready to serve. Will definitely be ordering again from them. Special thanks to Claudio for taking care of this order!

I’ve just had one of the worst experiences ever seeing my cake. I decided to get a Formula 1 themed cake with the cake being the wheel of a Formula 1 car. This is not what I received at all. First of all, I went in store to ask about cakes and they told me to only email them. They didn’t even ask me about pictures to see if it was even possible or not and I’m pretty sure they didn’t even ask about allergies or dietary restrictions. Onto the cake itself, The Pirelli logo was lazy, the rim itself was lazy and looks nothing near sporty at all. They ended up free-styling the cake to THEIR OWN LIKING as they included some random ugly yellow lines at the back of the cake that I can’t even tell what it’s supposed to be. They attached a toy car which I did not ask for which I later removed on my own and which was supposed to be put on my cousins cake and they misspelled the writing on my cousins cake as well. After all the negotiating of trying to get them to make a helmet shaped cake which they couldn’t do apparently for the size I wanted which wasn’t too small, I had to end up buying this lazy work for a ridiculous price of $160. Absolutely horrid.

Been coming here for years but this is the first time I've experienced such terrible customer service. After purchasing a bunch of items from the hot table, asked to get a large container of potatoes that the sign shows is $8 - only to be told its $15!! Whomever the guy is with glasses running the cash register is not fit to be any sort of manager, the complete lack of accountability is astounding. He simply says 'oh yea its a mistake but we won't honor it' which leads me to believe its likely been like that for months (at least) and I guess because they get a good amount of foot traffic he just doesn't care. I could understand if it was $1 or $2 more but not practically double the cost, absolutely crazy to advertise one price and say another with not a single thought about customer service.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5 We ordered a custom baci-themed Toronto Maple Leafs cake for my mother’s 80th birthday from Rustic Bakery — and it was absolutely perfect! Not only did it look amazing, but the flavour was outstanding. The team at Rustic Bakery were fantastic to work with — friendly, professional, and accommodating, even on a long weekend. I placed the order on Saturday and was able to pick it up today with no issues. Everything from the design to the taste to the customer service was top-notch. Thank you for making this special occasion even more memorable!

Was in the area and heard about this bakery so figured I'd drop in to check it out. Bought some fresh baked cookies/biscuits. Assorted flavors. Got back to the car, and tried them out. They were nasty!! Sorry to say but the only decent one out of the batch was the pistachio biscuit. Not sure why people are raving about this place.

Nestled in the vibrant neighborhoods of Toronto, Mattachioni is a delightful bodega that seamlessly combines the charm of an Italian bakery with a full-service restaurant. With locations in both Junction Triangle and Leslieville, this culinary gem offers an array of mouthwatering options, from artisanal pizzas to hearty Italian sandwiches crafted on house-baked bread.
Clean and simple pizza flavors with a consistent vibe. The servers were all super friendly, and it was such a chill dining experience. Oh, and don’t miss their happy hour! You can get tasty cocktails at a great price—totally worth it.

Small restaurant with a simple, but wide range of food options Food is flavourful and fresh. Sourdough bread is amazing! Service was good, but it gets quite busy and it’s a small restaurant

Excellent food and lovely staff. This is a small place that is unassuming but the burrata ball and macaroni and cheese were delicious. At first I thought $32 for a cheese ball was a lot, but it was a great portion accompanied with fantastically seasoned tomatoes and crispy bread.
Sue S — Google review
Wyck Recommends: Mattachioni Rating: 3.8/5 Walking into Mattachioni is a humbling experience. No one will say hi. No one will acknowledge your existence. You’ll stand there questioning whether you accidentally broke into someone’s house. But once you get your hands on their focaccia, espresso, and maybe a decent pizza, all is forgiven… almost. The espresso? A shot of pure ambition—smooth, strong, no nonsense. The focaccia? A personal-sized gift from the carb gods—crispy, chewy, topped with just enough roasted tomato to feel artisanal. The pizza? Imagine a Tinder date. Some nights, a perfect match. Other nights, you’re ghosted by quality control. Pros: ✔ Espresso that hits like a motivational speaker on steroids ✔ Focaccia so good it disappears faster than your savings ✔ Fresh-baked cookies were legendary—but like your childhood dreams, they are no more Cons: ✖ Service? Never met her. ✖ Pizza consistency depends on planetary alignment ✖ Popular items vanish instantly—if you hesitate, someone hungrier will take it Final Take: Mattachioni is a social experiment in patience and priorities. If you can survive the existential crisis of being ignored at the counter, you’ll be rewarded with espresso that slaps, focaccia worth fighting for, and a pizza that’s either perfection or a lesson in disappointment. Show up early, move fast, and accept that customer service is just a myth here.
The W — Google review
It’s just not….. giving much, yet you’re paying a premium. I say this only because I am willing to pay a premium for a delicious sandwich (or anything delicious), however this left me hungry and disappointed. The service was questionable, I felt as though they were doing me a favour? Also where is the sauce? Any sauce? I can buy a great focaccia many places around Toronto and throw some meat on it - I go to restaurants because I am expecting more. Anyways - great location.

Came here with a friend for lunch! They’re both a restaurant and a little bakery. You can buy day old bread for cheaper, alongside all their other products. It’s pretty small, the chairs are a bit high so it was kind of awkward at first, but that’s just small details. The staff were so kind and warm, I loved their energy! My friend got the salad while I got the pizza. The pizza was a bit too oily and it dribbles down as you try to eat it, so it can get messier than you’d like. But you get a side of some kind of chilli on the side so that’s a bonus! I LOVED the crust. It was genuinely thin crust, crispy, airy and chewy. I think they do bread pretty well based on that- I’ll definitely be back to get some! :) Thank you for having me!

Formerly a grocery, this Harbord Street bakery now specializes in Jewish baked goods and pastries. The bakery is predominantly visited on the weekends for its challah, which is grabbed by regulars for their Sabbath breakfast. The bakery also sells chocolate babkas during the weekdays.
I was looking for a carrot cake for my girlfriend’s birthday and this place did not disappoint! This is definitely one of the best carrot cakes I’ve ever had! Loved the cream cheese icing and the fact that there are no raisins! Cake was moist as well! It was very reasonably priced compared to the competitors out there. Simple design/decoration, but that’s what I was going for. I got the 7 inch cake. It was an easy process to order. I called two days in advance and pick up was simple. Will definitely order from here again!!

A must visit Jewish Bakery with reasonable n fresh breads, Danish, croissant 🥐 and other eats. Sweet attentive staff . Recommended: Almond croissant Apple blintzes
Su C — Google review
I have been coming to this bakery for 30 years. The selection of bagels and fresh breads, danish, blintzes, cookies, pies and cakes is based on a daily rotation. Normally, if it isn’t in stock tomorrow or the next day is the baking day I am told, which means that they stick to par levels based on expected sales. It’s best to order ahead of there id something you require. The croissants include: cheese, almond, pistachio Nutella. There is a really good mixed chocolate and pistachio cookie I enjoyed. There are muffins, carrot cakes and pumpkin pies on hand right now. Prices are generally higher than the grocery with some breads actually fairly priced.

A lovely selection of fresh baked goods. Looks like you can put in orders ahead of time for your bread needs. Looks like the fresh bread loaves sell out fast. Lots of loafs, cookies and other sweet bakery goods. They have a small deli type counter suitable to get lunch on the go, with a selection of salads etc. This is is not inexpensive, but you get quality goods.

This bakery shop is one of the best around UofT. It offers a variety of baked goodies and special occasion cake. It also has a deli/salad bar. Customer service is not bad and inside of the store is clean and safe. Items presentation is not the greatest and they can definitely do better. They don’t have signs and the layout of the bakery section is a tad weird. I have it 4 because it doesn’t have vegan options and the prices are on the higher side. Otherwise, if you are around the area and feeling like having a a good muffin or cookies, give Harbord Bakery a try!

Forno Cultura is an Italian bakery with multiple locations in Toronto, each offering a unique focus. While some locations specialize in biscotti and focaccia, the ones on King West and West Queen West provide a wide range of offerings. Visitors praise the welcoming atmosphere and efficient staff, with particular mention of standout pastries like appolini. The establishment is described as more than just a bakery, also offering a bistro-like experience with great coffee and diverse menu options including pizza and sandwiches.
I am writing this 15 minutes from visiting this place for the first time. The staff were super kind and helpful. They informed me that they had 5 gluten free options and I tried 3/5. The gluten free pistachio cookie, hazelnut cookie, and lemon/dark chocolate torta were so delicious, you couldn't tell they had no wheat flour! The ambiance is also super cozy, although I didn't sit in this time, I will definitely be back. What an amazing start to an early morning 🫶🏼 The Sakura rose tea is phenomenal

I visited this location for the first time. They have a big production area behind where you can see people working. The sitting area is nice and comfy. They have so many kind of pastries, also they sell products like wines, condiments, pastas and so on. I liked their coffee a lot. I almost always order americano as I want to enjoy the taste of coffee. The coffee was strongly flavored and smooth that would match with all kinds of baked goods.

Fantastic Italian bakery with a large variety of pastries, breads, and sandwiches. I ordered an Apollini and a mocha. Both were excellent and tasted fantastic. It was my first time having an apollini and the pastry was well balanced with the lemon cream and the crunch of choux pastry. There’s decent seating available and a large parking lot available if driving. My only complaint is the lack of a visible pricing on the tags or on a printed menu.

Forno Cultura is a total hidden gem in Queen West and absolutely one of the best spots in the city for Italian sandwiches. If you know, you know—this place takes sandwich-making seriously, and it shows in every bite. Hands down, my favourite is the roasted eggplant and zucchini sandwich on their house-made focaccia. it’s an absolute steal for the quality you’re getting. It’s olive oil-drenched perfection—packed with flavour from the roasted veggies, peppery arugula, and creamy fresh mozzarella. Every ingredient is fresh, simple, and so well-balanced. It’s the kind of sandwich that makes you pause after the first bite and just appreciate it. The vibe at Forno Cultura is relaxed and welcoming, and you can tell the staff really care about what they’re serving. The shelves are lined with imported goods and pantry staples from Italy, so you can stock up while you wait. Whether you’re grabbing lunch, taking something to-go, or just want to treat yourself to one of the most satisfying sandwiches in Toronto, this place is a must. It’s my go-to anytime I’m in Queen West—and honestly, I’d go out of my way for it.

Dear Grain Sourdough Studio is a high-end carb showroom in Toronto, known for its exceptional sourdough loaves crafted by the talented Adri Greenspan. The studio offers a variety of bread and pastries, with an option to enjoy them on the patio facing Ossington Avenue. Customers praise the delicious cheese sourdough loaf and regular sourdough loaf, as well as the cherry and cranberry pastry.
Cute bakery and shop with everything sourdough! They sell everything from cute cards to sourdough starters to sourdough croissants! I noticed that they also source a lot of local cafes downtown There is a patio outside, plus a few seats at the back inside. We got the sourdough chocolate croissant (delicious), compte ham sandwich (perfect sandwich!!! The sourdough bread is hard and chewy), and cheese+green onion scone Prices are comparable to speciality bakeries, very reasonably considering that they use sourdough for most of their items. Server was super friendly, and offered to press our sandwich. we redeemed a gift card here Washrooms are downstairs

The bread is delicious and very fresh! Giving them 3 starts because they don’t offer to slice your loaf of bread. I understand some people may believe that when the bread still hot can affect the texture of the bread and flavor but as a consumer makes it very hard to slice it at home, specially when you live in a small place and you don’t have a bread slicer :(

What they do here at this not so average bakery, is that they take the art of sourdough and create anything and everything in the pastry world. Whatever you buy from this bakery, you are taking with you not just food, but living nutrients. I tried their spanish omelette breakfast sandwich and it was one of the most divine breakfast sandwiches i have ever tried. They make something that you wouldn’t see everywhere (spanish omelette) and combine it was an ever more house made special SOURDOUGH brioche bun with some perfectly paired spreads, i believe it was pesto and some sort of tomato jam, to create this one of a kind experience. And don’t forget to take home a sweet treat, (sourdough chocolate chip cookie) and a country loaf for your breakfast for the week. What they do here is truly an inspiration for sourdough bakers like myself to experience and learn that there is no limit to baking, anything and everything is possible.

We sat outside on the patio. The coffee was great, the fruit tea drinks were great.... THE BREAD? WOW! We were fortunate enough to try the chocolate cherry bread? It was SOOO good! A must go to place.

Look, I've lived a life full of regrettable choices: buying a one-way ticket to a Coldplay concert, attempting to cook a seven-course meal using only a BBQ Grill, and, worst of all, believing that Dear Grain was just a place that sold bread you could use for your weight loss diets. To be fair, I'm not a fan of anything sour. In my book, the only good thing that’s sour is a lemon-drop martini, and even that's a stretch. So when my date dragged me to Dear Grain, I was already prepping my "this is fine" face. I was ready to endure a beige-themed experience of artisanal sour dough and healthy, happiness-free options. I braced myself for a world of pain and stomach rumbles. But boy, was I wrong. As soon as I walked in, I wasn't transported to a healthy bread shop; I was transported to a land of pure, unadulterated gluttony. I’m talking about an all-star cast of olive oils, jams, and jellies that looked like they were auditioning for a food commercial. Then came the main event: the chocolates and ice cream. I'm not ashamed to admit I fell in love with Sim and Lil's double chocolate ice cream. My girlfriend ordered a smoked salmon sandwich and an ice cream called coconut blush, a dreamy cloud of tropical bliss with a delicate swirl that tasted like a vacation in a cup. I went for the chicken club sandwich and it was so good, it made me question every life decision I've ever made. How had I not known about this place sooner? This is not a review; this is a public service announcement. If you, like me, are a sour-averse person who thought Dear Grain was just a healthy bread shop, you're missing out. I'm still young, my cholesterol is still in a healthy range, and there’s still time. Dear Grain is now on my weekly roster. What a week it was. I'm still dreaming about the sandwich, the creamy ice cream, and the beautiful smell of coffee and sour bread in the air. Oh, the humanity.

Such a lovely birthday experience! We’ve been meaning to try this place out for a while, as we have been getting delicious bread and baked goods from Dark Horse, that are provided by Dear Grain. It was a rainy day when we ventured down to this Sourdough Studio. Parking was impossible to find, as it seemed everyone else had the same idea of seeking shelter at a nearby cafe/restaurant, but we were determined to try this place out. We parked about a 10min walk away, were extremely grateful that we had stashed umbrellas in the car (umbrellas really are a great invention), and trekked through the pouring rain to the infamous Dear Grain Sourdough studio. We ordered way too many things. I would definitely get the sourdough pizza slice again! Looks so unassuming, but tastes incredible. Thank you to the lovely young lady who threw in a birthday cookie…I really do love my birthday freebies!!!

Paying $10 for a loaf of bread is surely something I never thought I would do, however, I have. Their chocolate cherry loaf is addictive. Sourdoughs are very good. I still think a happy balance is charging a more reasonable $ which would allow customers to come in more often. As it stands I try to stay away and limit my visits to once every 3 or so months as to not bankrupt myself in bread.

COBS Bread Bakery St. Lawrence is a popular spot known for its delicious and freshly made bread, offering a wide selection of healthy and artisan options. Customers praise the excellent food quality and reasonable prices, making it a regular stop for many. While some suggest improvements in service speed and customer flow due to the small space, loyal patrons rave about the fresh and delicious bagels that have become a breakfast staple.
Wonderful place for fresh selection of breads, bagels, buns & sweets! Aromatic smell was simply devine. Service was also excellent! Jay served us & she was very helpful, personable & professional. We bought sourdough bun, cheese bread & prosciutto pizza. Delish 💯 We’ll definitely be back again soon!

Cobs Bread was a sweet smelling addition to the neighborhood. There is always a customer in the store when you walk through the door. Whether you are craving something sweet like a fresh scone, chewy cinnamon bun or fruity strawberry danish, or prefer something more savoury like a mini pizza or loaf you are sure to find a treat. Don't forget to sign up for the Cobs App for a free birthday cinnamon bun and and half birthday scone (it's about time we started celebrating half birthday's again)

I came here at 6:50am on a Tuesday and there was only one customer in front of me. I asked for a sourdough loaf and asked if it could be sliced but they say that it couldn’t because it was freshly baked and too hot to slice. So I walked home to let it cool down a bit and then sliced it. The warm was so warm and moist and yummy - just the best carbs! The price is also fair at $6.75 for a big loaf.

I have been a loyal customer of Cobs Bakery for quite some time now :) , and I couldn't be happier with my experience. I frequently purchase their bagels, particularly the everything bagel, and I must say they are always fresh and delicious. The quality of their bagels is unmatched, and they have become a staple in my breakfast routine. Aside from their exceptional bagels, Cobs Bakery also offers a delightful selection of pastries. I've had the pleasure of trying several, and each one has been a taste sensation. The variety of options is fantastic, and they never disappoint. What truly sets Cobs Bakery apart is their friendly and welcoming staff. Every time I walk in, I'm greeted with a warm smile and a friendly hello. The customer service is outstanding, and it makes the experience even more enjoyable. It's such a pleasure to have Cobs Bakery in our neighborhood. They consistently provide high-quality products, and their presence enhances our community. I wholeheartedly recommend Cobs Bakery for anyone looking for fresh, tasty baked goods and a welcoming atmosphere.

They have best almond almond croissant I’ve ever had. They have only 2 sits available. People are mostly buying for take out.

I was surprisingly unhappy about my experience at this Bakery. I had they're almond croissant, which I have to say is probably one of the worst almond croissants I've had in Toronto. It was incredibly still, and the pastry had a texture as if it was made a day or two previously. The only redeeming quality was that it didn't have a ton of almond essence like some other poor quality almond croissants often do. I also had their famed Alsatian sourdough bread. I'll be honest, other than it's nice crust oh, it really didn't taste very different from other Bakery bought white breads. Another disappointment. The only thing that was at least somewhat good and worth purchasing again was their pistachio apricot tart.

We were recommended by a friend and what a great idea to follow up on ordering here. Service and patience on the phone with their own recos were spot on to our palette. We ordered a beef dish that was insanely tasty and hit the spot. The donuts/beignets that were Nutella filled were so delicious as were the Lime and then Lemon tarts that were just so light and full of flavour. This spot you need to order when you have the chance.

Walked in on a Sunday morning with my 6 year old daughter. Excited, we planned on dropping 50+ dollars on bread and croissants to take home as we live out of town. As is with children she had to use the washroom on arrival. When we asked to use the potty we were told there wasn't one available to customers. When I explained that she was 6 and it was urgent I was met with a royal attitude and passive aggressively 'mammed' by the staff and heatedly explained to that the bathroom was not in a fit state for use by patrons. I would like to remind the owners of this establishment that Ontario building code requires food and beverage service retailers to have at least one bathroom in proper working order for patrons. We took our money down the road to Bomou where we had ice cream and a pee in a nice clean bathroom.

I got breakfast sandwich which costs 11$ The size of the sandwich was the size of a small English muffin. The ingredients were super basic and the bread was cold. The people behind the counter are friendly but the food is over over overrated. The sweet pastries are better than anything else. But the savory food is NOT worth it. 😕

Fresh food market
St. Lawrence Market is a renowned foodie destination located in Toronto's historic Old Town district. It has over 100 vendors offering a wide variety of products, including produce, antiques, baked goods, and meats. The market dates back to 1803 and is considered the oldest in Toronto. Visitors can indulge in local favorites such as peameal bacon sandwiches at Carousel Bakery or explore European-style pastries at Future Bakery.
Loved this area. Lively atmosphere, great smells from various food stalls. Wonderful experience. Definitely recommend a visit. We brought various butter tarts and they were heavenly. So much to see (and eat) 😀

Family and I went to this amazing St.Lawrence Market and it was so many shops inside for whatever you need. It had amazing Food options and so many Meats options also. What are the unique thing is how different culture kind of meat and cheese and fruits that were in this Market. The food was so fresh anywhere you tried to eat because it was made fresh right away. We try the pizza place and it was very delicious. The only reason why I give it a four star is because it would have been nice to see some Halal Options in Market as it had None and we had to find Cheese pizza to eat. Also bathroom could been cleaner! Overall Very Amazing and Unique Market to visit.

If you would love to visit local market as a tourist, this is the place to go! It has nice market atmosphere and I see long queue at many shops in the market by locals. It also cater both raw and ready to eat food. So you can buy beef steak to cook in your homestay or buy ready to eat food. Variety range from meat to seafood to fruits to bread to tarts to desserts and even maple syrup! Beautiful atmosphere and nice yummy food.... A nice brunch place and market!

Had a terrific time spending the day browsing St Lawrence Market. Bought an amazingly creative bouquet of flowers to brighten our hotel room. Had a delicious charcuterie lunch made from purchasing items from various vendors. Dessert was the largest berries we’ve ever seen, sweet, juicy, and delicious! Bought some pork belly to bring home after our trip. Purchased wines, a few souvenirs for our kids, generally had a nice day browsing through the enormous market. For reference I’d say it is about six times the size of Pike Place Market in Seattle.

A Fav forever!!! A staple in the city for us Torontonians and tourists! The new farmers market wing is great for local produce and deliciousness! You can literally find anything you need here. Spices, local meats, produce, tea, coffee, seafood, oysters, sandwiches, fresh bread, breakfast, lunch, fish and chips, charcuterie, ethnic foods, Latin foods, hot chocolate ... So much goodness!!! Pricing is a bit on the higher side but the vibe makes up for it!

I was surprised and amazed by this market. Very impressive. Often time when you hear market it come to mind its for the local. But this market is quite different many tourist all over world come to visit this place. This is a food lover paradise. Local nearby farm product like fruits vegetables and pastries cheese even flower are all very fresh. But price is not cheap. Just buy what you can eat there and be sure to ask seller if the product you want to buy is allow to take out from there country and be sure also that you are allow to bring back to your country specially agricultural product and processed meat. Some countries have stricter bans than others

Fun place to hang out, spend half a day, grab some bites and explore new food. The weather was extremely nice the week I visited so we could sit outside under the sun as well. Seems like it’s less of fresh produce and more of imported or processed items. I only managed to see the old building and the fashion market. Would love to visit the North market next time as well.

Indian restaurant
Little India Restaurant, located at 255 Queen St W in Toronto, has been a beloved fixture since 1995. This family-owned establishment is renowned for its authentic Indian cuisine and welcoming atmosphere. The menu features a rich variety of dishes, including the famous Palak Paneer known for its creamy texture and perfect blend of spices. Little India celebrates the heritage of Indian vegetarian cuisine with an array of flavorful curries, breads, and rice dishes.
Can’t believe I’ve never reviewed this place - I've been coming here since university! The warm, hardworking family that runs it still delivers incredible service and consistently delicious food! It’s true comfort food - flavourful, well-prepared, and full of favourites. During the pandemic, they generously made meals for medical staff, showing just how much they are invested in their community and the care and responsibility that comes with it. A true Queen Street West staple and one of the best Indian restaurants in the city. Once you're a customer, you're one for life!

The place offers some great main course options, and I really enjoyed the food overall. It’s comforting, full of flavor, and truly satisfying. The breads were soft and fresh, and the portion sizes for the main course were just right. Overall, I had a wonderful experience and would definitely come back!

Location is fantastic, and the restaurant is clean and well-maintained with excellent service. The washrooms are several floors up, so if you have mobility issues, you may have difficulty accessing them. Food was average. Butter chicken was much too sweet, and with the combo I chose (3), it contained only four pieces of chicken. The lamb Vidaloo was very spicy, but a mango drink made it tolerable. I heard that the buffet was good, so I will try it next to confirm.

I’ve visited this restaurant twice in the past two weeks, and both times, I came in for the thali—such great value for money! The portions are generous, and the food is absolutely delicious. What really stood out to me was the service. The server was extremely kind and even accommodated a switch in my thali since I don’t eat palak paneer, which I honestly wasn’t expecting. That little gesture made the experience even better! If you’re in the area and craving Indian food, I highly recommend checking this place out. I’m already looking forward to trying their lunch specials next

I ordered dine in for one person which was costly. The butter chicken tasted too suited and I expected tangy. The pulao rice was great. The saag paneer was also a nice addition. The butter naan was just right. Overall, I would benefit from a lunch buffet at a fraction of the cost. Service was attentive and friendly.

A true gem in the heart of downtown Toronto. Beautiful restaurant and wonderful staff. I highly recommend trying the veggie thali dish if you are new to Indian food. It’s a great way to begin exploring this culinary treasure and it’s many aromatic flavours! 🥘🌱😋

4 drumsticks and 3 thighs do not make a full Tandoori chicken. If that is the serving size for this restaurant it should be mentioned in the menu. This is not enough even for two people. It came in a small packet. Taste was ok, not Indian spice or oil, slightly dry.

My partner and I were visiting from NY and had an INCREDIBLE meal here!! We love Indian food and this is some of the best we have ever had. The dine for two special was an amazing deal with so much food - Appetizer, 3 entrees and naan. The pakora were so crispy and flavorful, the butter chicken was to die for and the service and ambience was excellent. I only wish I lived here so I could go again!!

Cocktail bar
Tapas bar
Bar Raval is a popular spot in Toronto that offers an authentic taste of Spanish tapas and pintxos. The ambiance pays homage to the Raval neighborhood in Barcelona, with Gaudi-esque wood panels and a seductive vibe. The menu features tantalizing shared plates like mussels marinated with house-smoked chili and fennel, as well as lush pancetta accompanied by rhubarb.
A perfect dining experience. The cocktails were amazing (try their margarita) and the food fantastic. I’m not sure which dish I liked more. Just be advised that on Saturday nights they do mostly standing instead of seating - which was fine for us but it’s not for everyone. Nonetheless, this is a must try spot in Toronto!
Pairings P — Google review
Best martini I have ever had! (and this reviewer doesn’t usually like Martinis.) Legit sourdough tapas straight out of Segovia, Spain. Ambience for days. Keep your head on a swivel for stealing stools (if your feet are tired) at the midpoint.
Michael L — Google review
Visited on a Tuesday night and the place was surprisingly packed. The atmosphere was great — loved the vibe and overall aesthetic of the bar. However, the service didn’t quite match the setting. When we arrived, we stood around for a bit before anyone acknowledged us, and throughout the night it was difficult to get the staff’s attention. It felt like they might have been understaffed because the team didn’t seem very attentive. The cocktails were decent but nothing memorable. The food, on the other hand, was below average for the price, very small portions and definitely on the expensive side for what you get. Overall, a bit of a mixed experience. Amazing ambiance and an enjoyable place to hang out, but service and food quality need improvement. I’d call it a high 3, low 4 — rounding up because the vibe really was that good.
Tee K — Google review
One of the best spots in the city for tapas!! Every dish we had was incredible and we were well taken care of. The restaurant has standing bars so definitely get here early for proper seating. Highly recommend the broccolini, nice smokey and the sauce was the right amount of spice. Definitely coming back here again!
Helen — Google review
My first time visiting this local legend! The atmosphere is gorgeous and the wood interior was so far ahead of the game when the bar first opened. It still stuns compared to most other places. The service varied in quality between servers. Some slightly more rushed and unfocused, others very pleasant, focused, and present. The food was good but not exceptional. The cod remoulade was salty but bland in other flavours. The octopus with chorizo was very pleasant and the octopus was cooked very skillfully. The tomato toast was the star of our meal. We got two orders in a row. The cocktails are lovely.
Tristian L — Google review
Atmosphere: 8/10 Little Italy. Gaudí-inspired design throughout — a nod to the Spanish architect known for his organic forms and Catalan Modernist flair. The carved wood interiors and curved lines give the space a sculptural presence. The backbar is thoughtfully integrated into the flowing design, but seating is limited — mostly standing room, with a handful of bar seats and a small patio outside. Music was upbeat but not overwhelming — easy enough to hold a conversation. Drinks: 6/10 Recommendation: – The menu is a single page, divided by flavor or style, though visually it’s bare-bones. Creative enough recipes, but the presentation doesn’t go far: no coasters, average glassware, simple garnishes. Service is self-managed at times, and the drinks match the minimalist tone. Prices are average for Toronto. Service: 7/10 Friendly and professional staff. No water offered on arrival. Bar operates on a walk-in only basis — no reservations accepted. Service feels casual but competent.
Anton S — Google review
I finally got the chance to check out Bar Raval after seeing it pop up on Instagram so many times. I had always been curious but never actually made the trip, until one day I was walking around Little Italy and spotted it. So I decided to go in and see what it was like. The first thing that caught my attention was how beautifully the place is decorated. It’s a small bar, but the design is really unique and cozy. I personally think it’s a great spot for a date or to hang out with a few close friends definitely not the kind of place for big groups, since the space is pretty limited. I ordered one food dish and three cocktails. My boyfriend had two of them, and I had one (to be honest, I can’t remember the names!). The food was good, pretty standard, but the cocktails were amazing, every single one was super tasty and well made. The service was also great. The staff were friendly, helpful, and made us feel really welcome. Overall, I loved the vibe at Bar Raval. It had a cool, laid-back feel but still felt a bit special. I’ll for sure be going back again soon.
Rose N — Google review
A bunch of my service industry friends recommended this place to me and it didn’t disappoint. I also have to frequently suggest places at my work and all of my clients who’ve visited have also enjoyed. Fabulous atmosphere, dimmed lighting, still warm and lively, was sat at a tiered table top that has a convenient space to place bags or hang umbrellas (went on a rainy night last Thursday of October) cozy covered patio. Jodie (Jody? I’ll feel so bad if that’s not her name) and an individual who’s name I didn’t get (bleached short hair and cool hand tattoos) were fantastic and I’ve been told by service industry friends that Becks and Mira (again unsure of spelling) take very good care of their guests. Whole team seems to enjoy what they do and that comes across in their service. They’re knowledgeable and serious about what they do but not pretentious, they’re enthusiastic and fun, and as a guest that makes me wanna have fun. Cocktails were all delicious and nuanced but I have an easily pleased palate, I do wanna try the wine list. The bites were great too I wanna come back with an emptier stomach to eat more. Mini party platter was great for sharing. Chicken liver toast was amazing, I could’ve eaten three. I love chicken liver pate but a whole jar is a lot so I appreciate the option just to order the single servings. Can’t wait to be back and send more of my clients to enjoy this fine establishment. Would recommend for anyone looking for a cool date night or if you have folks visiting that you want to experience something elevated and cool in Toronto’s bar scene.

We have enjoyed Bonjour Brioche since it first opened, many, many years ago. We were thrilled that many of staff remained when ownership changed, and the food is as delicious as ever (spicy bacon sandwiches, quiche, lemon twists, flourless chocolate cake, and their latte bowls are some of our favourites…). The service (especially at their take out window) is also great. I don’t often call in my take out order, but when I do, the person who picks up the phone always remembers my order and my name. It’s a nice place to enjoy a weekend brunch too.

Absolutely delicious! I bought a loaf of brioche bread and a spinach, feta, and roasted red pepper quiche from here to share with friends. The quiche was so creamy and the crust was light and flaky. I've never had a quiche like that, the feta and egg mixture blended so well. I would 10/10 get another one from here. The brioche bread was just the right amount of sweet and was really fluffy. I used it to make French toast and it was a hit. I ordered both of these for pick up so I can only rate the atmosphere based on the pickup window. The attendant was really nice and the black board and overall vibe of bonjour brioche was excellent.

Follow @bredgyeats on IG for more food posts! Bonjour, and goodbye, I'm going up to my room to enjoy my triple banana pudding in peace. The trio of the creamy banana pudding base, moist banana bread chunks, and caramelized slices of banana bring a rich taste with hints of creamy vanilla, and finished with a drizzle of caramel to add a sweet richness in each bite. Flourless Chocolate Cake - Decadent and rich chocolate cake but quite heavy and dense. Exterior was slightly more crisp, and texture was smooth. Chocolate taste had depth, like at least two different tastes of chocolate. Also not overly sweet. Spicy Bacon - Bacon had a nice balance of flavour, not overly salty with a slight sweetness. Cheddar provided some sharpness and creaminess along with the avocado to increase depth, and tomato for a fresh ingredient. Baguette was still crisp even with takeout but got a little chewy after a bit.

Bonjour Brioche was an amazing brunch spot, the place was simple and cozy. The service was great and everything was delicious. Highly recommend the salmon eggs Benedict, probably the best eggs Benedict I've had and the French toast was amazing as well. Unfortunately, we didn't get to try most of the pastries as they were sold out (around 1PM). If you want to try the brioche or croissants I suggest going earlier.

Sanremo Bakery is a beloved Italian-style bakery and deli in Etobicoke, known for its use of imported ingredients to create delicious goods. The bakery offers an array of delectable treats, including their famous soft and fluffy signature donuts and custom-made birthday cakes. The Bozzo family has been running this mom-and-pop shop for over 50 years, with the brothers working tirelessly to maintain the bakery's high standards.
We came across this iconic spot by chance while attending a seminar nearby, and I’m so glad we did. The coffee (latte and cappuccino) was great, and they have a big selection of hot and cold European food. One side of the bakery has cold cuts and cheeses, and the other side offers a variety of pastries you can enjoy inside or on their patio. It really feels like a little slice of Europe right in downtown Toronto.

First time here. Extremely organized, well staffed, amazing options, very fair prices and SO fresh!!!! Met Ed the baker. Awesome guy. What impressed me the most was him cleaning tables outside and went back inside and handed out a few free donuts to young kids who had sat down waiting for their dad who was grabbing lunch. Very Classy!!! I will be back for sure. Keep up the awesome work!!!

As someone who has never visited Sanremo before I didn’t know the process so I got into line where the entrance door was. I learnt listening in from others that the line I was in was only for cold sandwiches. So I moved out of line and more into the shop. There was no line for hot sandwiches so I got a meatball sandwich, chicken parmesan sandwich and a mac and cheese. The lady prepared everything quickly and handed me the food and a paper with what I ordered. Then I was paraded to the cash register/coffee bar ordering area. I paid and gave my name which they told me to go outside and get the drink at the drink window. Since I had some time I went into the dessert line to get a few things. People were everywhere but everything went pretty smoothly and quickly. The prices were very affordable. I got the coffee crema (which everyone had sitting outside). It was very delicious. The meatball sub was basic (no cheese) - just bun, sauce and meatballs. It was alright. The chicken parm was better because it had cheese. The mac and cheese was decent - nothing amazing but still satisfying. The coffee was my favourite part by far. I’d go back to get another plus try different food items. There’s lots to choose from.

Worth the drive. I thought $7.49 for the pistachio crema was overpriced considering the regular felt too small buuuut it's decadent. Worth the trip and worth the price. Pastries are always a hit. I think I preordered doughnuts a few years back. I noticed they were almost sold out by the time I arrived today around 1-2pm. I've yet to try their savory menu. I plan to pick up some deli slices and sandwiches next time.. or food at the hot bar. Great bakery. I recommend giving it a try. Only gave it 4 stars because I felt like the lady at the deli counter ignored me.. but she greeted the two Caucasian men who entered 30 seconds after me. Could be an oversight but just my experience. I still recommend this shop for sure.

There was a big roast of porchetta sitting on the hot table, when I went back an hour later, they were all sliced up & displayed as sandwich form. It was a big sandwich and had a good amount of meat. For the size of sandwich price was resonable. Liked their fresh bread, chew of thick slices of pork, how they use good amount of herbs & spices, loved the spicy heat at the end. Paying $1.25 extra for generous amount of roasted red pepper worth it!

My mom has always loved this bakery but until recently I had never had the opportunity to try it. I finally went in with my husband a few months ago and tried some of their food and everything was absolutely delicious. The staff seemed friendly and the entire bakery was bustling with energy and customers. My husband loves their gelato, doughnuts, pizza and chicken parmesan and I adore the eggplant lasagna, pastas and pizza. I crave this so many times a week but refrain from over indulging. Since we both loved this bakery so much when I decided to plan a surprise 30th birthday party for my husband, I knew I wanted to have Sanremo cater for me. The initial inquiry with Brianna was alright through email and she helped clarify a few things, although I was a bit disappointed as I couldn’t eat at my husband’s party since they only do the vegetarian options on certain days I was a bit bummed out but decided to order the food for all the guests and just got my food from somewhere else for the party. Eliza was a gem when I called multiple times and helped me decide on amounts and made sure I had everything I needed for my event. I ordered around 45 chicken parmesans in red sauce which included buns, 3 full trays of penne rose, 2 full trays of cheese tortellini salad, 5 personal cheese pizzas, 20 garlic breads and a coffee thermos for rent which came with everything needed except non dairy milks! When I arrived to pick up the food, Eliza ensured I had everything I needed and helped load up my vehicle. The guests loved the food so much and everyone took some home as there was plenty of leftovers. The only thing I regret was ordering the garlic bread as it did go hard before guests had the opportunity to eat it but I should have foreseen that. Overall, it was a seamless experience and I want to thank Eliza a million times over for all of her supper throughout my planning process leading up to me dropping the coffee urn off a few days later.

We had a wonderful experience of Cakes at Sanremo. The quality was simply superb throughout our visit. We ordered a strawberry shortcake for my granddaughters, and it was absolutely exquisite - the perfect balance of fresh strawberries, light cake, and cream. You could tell it was made with care and quality ingredients. The bakery clearly takes pride in their craft, and it shows in every bite. This is definitely a place we'll return to for future celebrations. Highly recommended for anyone looking for exceptional cakes and desserts.

Stopped in for lunch and immediately saw why this spot feels like a neighborhood staple. By noon the line for hot food and sandwiches was long but moved quickly, so I started at the bakery and grabbed a few donuts and pastries while waiting. The Mortadella on focaccia was outstanding—airy bread with perfectly balanced flavors. My Pinsa Romana, a rustic flatbread topped with cheese and tomatoes, was light yet satisfying, and the pizza’s pillowy crust and fresh ingredients stood out. Everything tasted as though it had been made that morning. They also have an entire section devoted to fresh loaves and bagels, plus an outdoor order window for coffee and drinks. We tried the iced chai latte and pistachio caffè crema—both excellent. Outdoor seating under the awning made the meal feel relaxed and inviting. Fresh, vibrant, and efficient, this place is one I’d gladly return to—there’s still so much more to try.

This bakery, located in downtown Toronto, specializes in special treats for weddings, parties, and special occasions. Some of the cakes and cookies are unique to the bakery, while others can be found at other locations across Canada. The bakery is family-owned and operated, with Dufflet Rosenberg the CEO responsible for creating many of the delicious desserts.
I ordered a baby birthday cake for my daughter’s birthday party from online. Black and white flavour with filing chocolate cream and finished butter cream. It was really delicious and nice. We enjoyed a lot. Customer service was excellent and friendly. I would like to say Thank you Dufflet Pastries for giving a pleasant experience.

My first time ordering from them online. I usually just pick up my cakes at grocery stores that carry Dufflet goods. I've got to say it's super easy to use their online ordering. Once you submit a request, a super friendly Dufflet Team Member will contact you. Since I needed a pickup for Monday (they're closed), The sweet associate offered me alternative dates for pick up. I really appreciate that because I've had other bakeries just flat out shut me down with the , "Sorry, we are closed." AND hang up! Anyways, ffwd to Sunday when I arrived, immediately they greet you w.a very friendly and warming Hello! I picked up my cake w.ease and off I went! Can't wait to enjoy the treats, especially the gluten free lemon tarts for out gluten intolerant guest! Thank you Dufflet!

Everything is great here! I want to order everything on their menu! For best selection come early! Seats are limited so take out is recommended. Sometimes though the cakes aren't that good, they're just frosted over so ypu can't see how bad.

I tried their banana and chocolate cake with a decaf espresso. The cake was not bad but I found their cakes at their Yonge location are tastier. Maybe they bake them more often, so they are always fresh. Their slice is so big that I could save half for the next day too.

Went here on Dec 13/22 Dufflet Pastries is a sketchy place. This does not feel like a dessert place or a coffee place. Our first instinct was to leave, but we were greeted too quickly and caught off-guard looking at the dirty fish tank. The Asian male server (who spoke perfect English) didn’t seem to understand our order for a cappuccino and a regular coffee. Nor two desserts, one which had to be warmed up. We repeated it several times. Thereafter, the drinks were prepared in the back away from view. Why? He also took my dessert to the far back to microwave, but I saw him standing and talking to someone, and he spent a whole minute holding my dessert under their mouths chatting away. Ewww! Finally, nothing we ate or drank was worth going back for. I don’t know how this place stays in business. Maybe they have something else going on in there that makes them more money.

We had an amazing experience with Dufflet! Ordered our wedding cake and the whole experience was excellent. For the tasting they had all ready by the time we arrived, explained all the options and combinations and guided us to have the best cake ever ( we ended up choosing chocolate + vanilla). I followed up with them a few days before the wedding and they confirmed our order right to the last detail. In our wedding day the cake arrived right on time and everyone loved it! I would also recommend the carrot cake, delicious! If you want a delicious, good value for money and reliable wedding cake provider this is a great option.

Dufflet did our cupcakes and cake for our wedding last November and the results were just what we wanted. The consultation was very thorough and professional and they responded quickly to any additional questions by email. The cakes were an excellent value for the money and I’d highly recommend them for any event.

I personally love everything salted caramel and their “Milk Chocolate Salted Caramel Euro Tart” was not an exception. It was SO delicious and the dark chocolate crust really balanced out the sweet milk chocolate ganache and caramel. Also highly recommend their Pecan tart! This retail location has about 4 tables and a high bench by their shop window. →Follow my food adventures on IG- @naheedzzz

Nestled in the heart of the neighborhood, Lamanna's Bakery is a delightful destination for anyone craving authentic Italian flavors. Known primarily for their enormous pizza slices, this charming bakeshop also boasts an impressive array of traditional sweets and baked goods. From delectable cakes to rich cannolis, every treat is crafted from cherished family recipes that have been passed down through generations.
In a past lifetime I lived around the corner from Lamanna's and used to go there a couple of times a month. Since moving out of the area, my visits are pretty much yearly. My go-tos have always been sfogliatele (lobster tails) and cannolis. I usually manage to convince myself to pick up some other sweet that catches my eye. There are a variety of hot items to choose from (pizza slices, lasagna and veal sandwiches) I have never tried them in all my visits. The bakery is always busy and lines are usually long when I'm visiting, the staff are friendly and keep the lines moving quickly. There are many house made items but I usually see a Dufflet or LaRocca van unloading as well, so they are supplementing their offerings with outside items as well. I am always impressed by the flavours, quality and freshness of the items we bring home, we'll be customers long into the future.

Finally got lobster tails! So huge. Totally get why it's been popular for so long. It smells amazing when you walk in. The line moves fast. Got lobster tails and gelato and couple of other things but highly recommend these two also chocolate cake which was divine.

Lamanna’s Bakery was added in our Must Visit list and we finally understand why during our first visit! They have a huge selection of Italian pastries and gelato, freshly made. Please don’t skip or leave without tasting at least their Bomboloni. Their Tiramisu is also good! We’ll definetely be back to try out more. The pizza slices, on the other hand, looks amazing, but the Magherita slice just didn’t make it for us… Unfortunately, the sauce was bland and lacked in favour. However, the pizza slices had the perfect texture and amount of cheese — very generous portions, great to share amongst others. Would probably try a different flavour next time. As a vegetarian option, their vegetarian lasagna is highly recommended… very filling and yet again, generous portions, and great service from the staff to ask us if we wanted extra sauce. I appreciate the different queue lines created for savoury and sweet foods — it’s time efficient instead of having just one line. Although we were able to find a spot, there is little seating available.

I ordered the “Big Slice Chocolate Birthday Cake” and was really excited to try it. When I got the cake, it looked cute and well-presented. Unfortunately, the experience was quite disappointing. The cake was overly dense and extremely sweet — so much so that no one at the party could eat more than a bite. The sweetness was overwhelming and didn’t taste balanced or enjoyable. You could feel the crunch of undissolved sugar between your teeth. It was especially frustrating because this was for a birthday celebration, and we couldn’t enjoy the cake as we had hoped. I had been looking forward to trying other Big Slice items like their pizza and more, but after this experience, I’m not sure I’ll be giving it another try.

This was my first visit to Lamanna's Bakery thanks to a friend's recommendation that we meet there and I loved it! I immediately loved the atmosphere walking in and seeing the different stations for pizza, hot table, baked goods and gelato. I was in Italian heaven! To start I just had a mint tea with a Portuguese custard tart which was fresh and delicious. We sat at the front window area and there was a constant line up for ordering. The staff was all nice who I chatted with. Big thanks to Ashley for happily answering lots of questions I had about the gorgeous looking pizzas! I also loved the beautiful graphic design of their boxes I saw people carrying out. Some were huge and must have had cakes in them! I got a pepperoni slice to go and it was fantastic! Thin crust and so delicious! It tasted like authentic recipe from Italy and want to know specifically where. I am eager to return for more pizza and their hot table for lasagna and meatballs!

Absolutely love Lamanna’s!! Probably one of the best bakeries I have been too. Their pistachio tiramisu is 10/10. All of their pastries are honestly a 10/10! The meat lasagna is amazing but they stopped giving out the focaccia bread with it which was disappointing. Nonetheless, the quality is always amazing. However, be prepared to wait in line for a bit as they are always pretty busy.

My all time favorite bakery ... Most recently tried the pistachio and almond cake. It was beyond delicious, so light and fluffy and not too overly sweet. The tuxedo cake was also a 10\10. Will be back to try more.

Lamanna’s usually requires 24-hour notice for large pizzas, but we were impressed that they accommodated our order with only 30 minutes' notice. The pizzas were delicious, with a perfectly cooked crust – a great testament to their flexibility and culinary skill!

Le Gourmand is a charming bakery and grocer located in the Spadina neighborhood of Toronto. This beloved spot offers a warm and inviting atmosphere, making it a favorite among locals and office workers. The cafe serves up an eclectic array of lunch options, including delicious sandwiches, salads, and brunch fare like creme brulee French toast.
I love visiting this place! The salmon sandwich is delicious! Salads, coffee and pastries are also good! This place is quite busy, but it's atmospheric and you can have a good breakfast!

The go to place for the BEST chocolate chip cookies in Toronto. Get the chocolate chip or chocolate chip walnut. The chocolate is always melty good. Don’t know how they do it! It’s been consistently good for at least a decade.

Hands down, they have the best cookies in downtown Toronto, worth every penny! My favorite is the chocolate walnut cookie. The place smells amazing, and the staff are super friendly. I can’t wait to try more cookies!

Stopped by Le Gourmand for coffee and dessert, and it hit the mark completely. The iced Americano was strong but smooth — exactly what you want on a slow afternoon — and the Basque cheesecake was rich, creamy, and perfectly balanced. Great vibe overall: relaxed but busy enough to feel alive, with friendly staff who actually seem to care. It’s the kind of café that makes you linger a little longer than planned.

Stumbled across Le Gourmand while strolling around Queen St W. The Interior is beautifully designed. Their beverages and desserts were delicious, and reasonably priced. The staff were very friendly as well. We got the Biscoff Coffee Latte, Passionfruit Lemonade, and a peanut butter cookie - all of which I highly suggest is worth the try. Highly recommended and would definitely return when visiting Toronto again!

They changed their pancake and French toast prices right after a famous food influencer posted about them. I was shocked to see my bill for one pancake came to $28.58. It’s disappointing that they raised prices right after being featured by a food influencer. I used to enjoy coming here, but this feels unfair to regulars.

This coffee shop is hands down one of my favorite places! I come here almost every day, and it’s always such a great experience. The coffee is consistently amazing, but what really keeps me coming back is the food and pastries. Everything is made fresh daily, and you can taste the quality in every bite. The croissants are perfectly flaky, the sandwiches are flavorful and filling, and the desserts are absolutely delicious …it’s hard to choose a favorite! The atmosphere is warm and inviting, making it a great spot to sit and enjoy your food or get some work done. The best part? The baristas here are all so kind and welcoming. They’re always friendly, attentive, and they make you feel right at home. Whether you’re grabbing a quick coffee to go or spending a few hours here, it’s always a pleasant experience. I can’t recommend this place enough!

Drake Commissary is a spacious and stylish establishment in Toronto, offering a cafe, lounge, and dining room serving diverse Canadian cuisine as well as takeout options. This satellite location of the popular West End hotel has quickly become a hotspot for locals, drawing in hipsters and families alike. The 8,000-square-foot space was once a condiment factory but has been transformed into a bustling community hub where chefs, bakers, patrons, and artists come together over delicious food.
Great atmosphere with a loft/cafe/dining feeling. Exposed brick, blue leather seats, large wood tables or small round tables for a more intimate setting. There is a separate cafe are away from the dining like a hidden pocket. Very cool and the seating is artistic and contemporary. The menu had a great selection and I was able to switch things up and replace with something more on my diet. My friend got some pastries and she really liked them. The staff was super friendly and bottomless coffee is a great thing especially when the coffee is good... and it is! I had a great experience and would recommend Drake Commissary for sure!

Visited Drake Commissary on a Sunday for brunch. Did not have to wait to get in and the place had a lot of tables. The menu was brief but had a decent selection. Breakfast sandwiches for less than $10 and other heavier options such as Brisket Sandwich for $18. I ordered Shakshuka which was delicious and quiet filling. Will definitely go back.

Beautiful place. Accessibility - the main entrance is a lot of stairs. The bartender said there is an accessible entrance - "through the kitchen" The eating area has loads of space for wheelchairs and the washroom is truly accessible. One of the best I have seen in Toronto. The food is great and the decor is stunning. This is a definite destination eating place and the business will definitely enjoy increased success. It would be a useful exercise for the owners to make the main entrance truly accessible but they deserve significant credit for exceeding what is the norm in Toronto.

What to try? I personally loved the roasted mushroom and espresso pasta here! AMAZING. Their menu reads - pasta is mixed and rolled in house with fresh ingredients. I was sold! I also liked their cold platter board too. We had the smoked, cured and potted fish platter and I really liked the dill and sour apple pickled herring. Really unique combination and it wasn't too sour and it had a nice sweet kick to it. I wasn't that big of a fan of their pizzas though. They are shareable too but it's really hard to cut through it and the pizza didn't look that appealing when it came to the table. We had the truffled bianca and I couldn't really taste the truffle in the pizza but I thought it was pretty cool to have potatoes on the pizza. It's not someone's go to when it comes to pizzas but it's still worth a try! When it came to the drinks, I had the Ginger Rogers. If you're a fan of whiskey but want a sweet taste to your cocktails, this is definitely the one you want to try. Had hints of strawberry in there with the strawberry rhubarb addition and the honey helped with the bitter taste of whiskey. I'll go back to try the other ones since there's quite a few concoctions you can try. When it came to dessert time, we ordered the banana cream pie and the rhubarb and strawberry frangipane. I loved their desserts! The banana cream pie was really creamy and I liked the vanilla pastry cream on top. It didn't feel heavy, it felt light! But the crust was hard though. That's the only downside to the pie. If they had warmed the pie crust up before serving the cream and toppings, I think it would be a killer dessert. I liked the frangipane because of the cookie crust. It wasn't too sweet which I really liked and I felt like I could eat the strawberry rhubarb with every bite. Gotta try it out! Last tip? They opened for dinner for two weeks now and it's still a pretty new restaurant in town where they are (junction triangle) so go before the en mass goes and check it out yourself. They're open for breakfast lunch and dinner and they also have an open patio too. Located next to breweries too, you can try the breweries out if you fancy it. I have to say, the area is pretty industrial so don't expect anything fancy around the building the commissary is in. By the way, if you drive like me, there's not a lot of parking spots for drake guests in the parking lot unfortunately, so you'll have to opt to park on the street which isn't too bad when you don't have to pay!
Wendy L — Google review
Really good food to eat in or takeout (lots of delicious cured meats and fish). Service was amazing. Coffee is great, both the Americano and drop coffee and tasty. Breakfast items are good and they serve healthy gluten free items as well and have a wide selection. Decor is super pretty and the neighbourhood feel is really nice.
Nicole B — Google review
Yes - food is expensive here and not the largest of portions but the quality is also something that balances it out. Some things ARE more worth it than others and you can take your pick of which ones are kinda absurd (i.e. the butter). Really good vibe and decor here and good to host low key get togethers with large groups.
CY S — Google review
The Drake and all its many renditions are simply fabulously creative fun. The Commissary is not exception. Tucked into a corner of the start of the Junction it is right now desolate but that will be short lived as MOKA is moving in next door which is so exciting. I love the vibe here and hanging for coffee rocks. Lots of super fresh offerings always makes me happy. I totally love all their eggplant dishes and being I Iove salads for lunch this is my happy place. Do not miss the Licorice Cinnamon bun. I know it sounds crazy but please give it a try.

I came here on a Sunday afternoon and it was busy with families. There was a family washroom as well so it seems accommodating for people with kids. The happy hour menu is applied everyday including weekends for $1 per oz house wine. We didn’t have to wait for a table for 4 people. It looks like there’s a few picnic tables available during warmer weather. Friendly staff and no issues.

Tori's Bakeshop is a charming bakery located in two spots - the Beaches and the Canary District. It specializes in organic, plant-based desserts, offering a variety of flavors such as vanilla, salted dark chocolate, mini-donuts, and seasonal options like Pineapple Upside-Down. The bakery prides itself on using natural and organic ingredients to create delicious treats like their famous melt-in-your-mouth doughnuts.
My latest discovery on Queen street East. The bakeshop has an unassuming front entrance and is easy to miss - I am so happy I found it. A beautiful and subtly decorated interior feels very cozy, I loved the colour theme - subdued mint/green (with matching "for here" cups!). the counter display is a feast for eyes (and stomach of course!) - I tried a savoury hand pie (with mushroom/lentils filling) and it was absolutely delicious (warmed up). I can't wait for my next visit at the store. Besides the baked goods there is an espresso bar, pressed juices and a good selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. All food is vegan.

You'd also be hard-pressed to guess that these treats are completely vegan that kind of reminds me of childhood birthday parties with their chocolate and vanilla cupcakes and donuts.

Nice atmosphere and service, but inedible gluten free pastries. As someone who has tried the majority of gluten free bakeries in Toronto and countless storebought goods, it’s ludicrous that this bakery is charging $5.93 for a single black forest cupcake. The cupcake had a weird texture, it was like munching on uncooked quinoa in between cake crumb. The frosting was overwhelmingly sweet and not creamy at all. I’ve had plenty of good vegan frosting at other bakeries—this was not it. There was very little cherry filling and it should have been a jam-like consistency, instead I think they just soaked dried cherries in sugar syrup. Not to mention the black forest cupcake is a “seasonal” flavor which is how the bakery justifies an extra $0.75 surcharge. Last I checked, dried cherries are available year-round so I’m confused and you should be too.

Plant based bakery offering a variety of sweet and savoury goods. - Potato Focaccia: A bit dry, nice caramelized onion undertone, good density and a bit on the greasy side. - Savoury Scone: could not taste the sun dried tomato but lovely flavour overall. - Peach tart: sweet and good but not enough filling and too much pastry. - Cinnamon bun: excellent, very good. - Butter tart: a bit plain and dry, nice sweetness though. - BLT Sandwich: very good flavour but WAY too greasy because of the coconut bacon. The pesto is wonderful though. Service is friendly and helpful.

Bakerbots Baking is a trendy bakery located near Ossington Station in Toronto, offering a diverse selection of cookies, sweets, ice cream sandwiches, and coffee drinks. The bakery provides an assortment of pies, tarts, cakes, cookies, and ice cream to satisfy your sweet tooth. It's the perfect spot for a quick treat accompanied by refreshing ice cream on a hot summer day.
We stopped in for iced coffees and some sweets. They have a great selection of sweets that they make in house; tarts, cakes, cookies and ice cream. Our iced americanos were great and we really enjoyed their pecan butter tarts. Couple things to note: No washrooms available. If they do, they were not clearly marked or clear to customers. They did have hand sanitizer available. They do have limited seating indoor and a couple spots outdoor. It’s a very small shop and the products are quite good. However it is not a spot that’s easy to sit and enjoy your order. I would recommend for take out.

So much to choose from! Ended up trying the pecan butter tart and it was the best I had. The inside was gooey. Will have to try their carrot cake next time! Friendly staff too. Update: Carrot cake is my all-time favorite dessert and I finally got a chance to try it here. It's the best I've ever had! It's moist, not overly sweet, and has an amazing texture.

Lovely bakery cafe! They offered plenty of options for cakes/bakery menu which all looked V yummy I tried the carrot cake and the sweetness level was perfect. It’s more of a home baked style cake, which made it more special. The sitting area is also very nice, with vintage furnitures adding up to its cozy vibe Would’ve been a regular customer if only I lived nearby 10/10

Amazing baked goods! Same owners as bang bang ice cream on Ossington, so you know it’s top tier quality and taste. My family and I’s favourites are the craq puff, sticky bun, cinnamon bun, and brownie! You honestly can’t go wrong with any baked good here.

Visited EVERY OTHER DAY during my stay in Roncy! In terms of variety and sophistication, best bake shop in the neighbourhood and possibly the best I’ve had in Toronto. My favourites are their cream puff series and the seasonal fruity chiffon cakes 🍰 both options would be best suited for those who aren’t into overly sweet treats. The mango and coconut chiffon cake is still my favourite of all the items I’ve tried. It’s light, refreshing, and flavourful - the best kind of cake for summer and doesn’t leave you feeling heavy. All their cream puff flavours are delicious, tried their vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, lemon and caramel. I must say that the caramel definitely left an impression as it tasted more burnt and Smokey, which is quite different from what I was expecting, in a good way so the sweetness wasn’t over powering at all. Highly recommend!

I wish I had the appropriate words to describe how every bite there feels. Everything is just that good. And the spot is very welcoming. I first went to try their delicious and viral banana pudding last year, but I had to come back to try more. The gluten free brownie, the jalapeño scones and their classic cinnamon rolls didn’t disappoint at all. Everything was amazing. Coffee was pretty outstanding too. The brownie, omg. I will come back for more. Soon. —— I just came back again 😂 to try the double moist mayonnaise cake. Please try that one too. Try everything.

I visit once in a while and everything that I get is fairly tasty. My favourite items are the strawberry chiffon cake (seasonal), cinnamon buns, any cream puff. They also offer ice cream from Bang Bang. Some items such as cream puffs and some cakes may not be available until later in the day. Just as a warning, everything is more expensive than what you might expect them to be.

Wow!!! This bakery is an amazing find in a city of tourist trap bakeries! Every item in there is so unique that i was stressing out when it came my turn to pick what i wanted. I ended up choosing a staple, a chocolate and lemon combo, in my the chocolate ganache cake and lemon curd crème puff. The chocolate cake was so decadent yet the chocolate wasn’t all that sweet so the combination made the cake just perfect! I wanted to try something new, and i saw the crème puffs just looked so pretty that i needed to get one. The puff pastry was perfectly well made, the creme as well was splendid, but i feel as if the combination of the very sweet creme and very sweet lemon curd, was just too much that you couldn’t take very many bites. It was also soggier than i would have liked it, but that was also because i tried it at the end of the day, so it was probably my fault for that reason. I really wanted to get their banana pudding but i didn’t see it until after i ordered and i didn’t want to over do it. Only other downside i would say is that it is a very small inside and only so many people can fit, and when you are ordering, it feels overwhelming and overcrowded. But I would definitely come back here again and recommend to anyone visiting toronto!

My friend got me the strawberry cake from here for my birthday and it was amazing! The strawberries were sweet, the cream was not too heavy — everything was just perfect. We finished the entire cake and I’m already missing the taste the next day 😂🤭 Highly recommend!

I recently visited this branch and had a somewhat mixed experience. We ordered coffee and a cappuccino along with some cakes, and while the food quality stood out, there were areas that could be improved. The cakes were absolutely delicious—rich, fresh, and bursting with flavor. They were definitely the highlight of the visit. The croissants and other baked goods looked tempting as well, making it a good spot for a quick treat. However, the coffee was fairly average and didn’t stand out as anything special. The service, unfortunately, was a bit of a letdown. The staff member who served us wasn’t very friendly or welcoming. While not outright rude, it seemed like they lacked the professionalism and warmth that make a customer feel valued. Overall, this place is good for a quick coffee and cake stop, especially if you’re craving something sweet. However, better customer service and more attention to detail with the coffee could elevate the experience.

Nice coffee shop with an interesting selection of pastries. There are some unique flavours of croissants but all slightly on a higher price range. The coffee and the matcha latte were great. The place can definitely use some dusting as there were plenty of spider webs around all the ceiling lights!

Delicious, creative looking pastries. I had the Vietnamese coffee croissant. There is a little squeeze container of condensed milk. Very flavorful inside with the chocolate. Not overly sweet. However, the croissant was dry and might have been more than a day old. I would like to try their Basque cheesecake next. Drinks, it's essentially Chatime w/ pastries. Place has ample seating at the time of day we went. Tables weren't being wiped down but otherwise, not super dirty. It has a modern cafe look inside. I've been here when it has been busy, so it depends. Don't expect to park in the area.

A few months ago, I visited Bake Code, and it was a good experience! The outdoor seating area was nice, offering a pleasant view of Yonge Street. The variety of desserts was impressive—not only were they eye-catching, but they were also mouthwatering and delicious. The coffee complemented them perfectly. It’s a great spot for an evening gathering with friends. I highly recommend it Follow me for more local insights!

Wowowowow! They have some really unique pastries. Got the honey croissant, (kinjaki?) Swiss roll, and chocolate walnut croissant. All absolutely amazing and definitely strays away from your typical ordinary flavours. Although I won't lie, it can get quite pricey, but I think for the quality and uniqueness it's not too too bad. I wanted to try the croissant swirls but I'm guessing you'll have to come earlier as they were sold out after 9pm. Also they do some deals like no tax if you buy 6 pastries or buy 5 get 1 free. Might take advantage of that next time. One thing I might request from the owners is to add plastic cutlery and napkins with the order. Also they charge for bags which is normally complimentary at most bakeries which I thought was bizzare.
Jaskarn B — Google review
When I arrived, the place was packed with people, but the staff was quick and respectful while taking orders. They didn’t rush me when I asked about different items. All the pastries were fresh, with a delicate flavor and balanced sweetness. My top recommendation, however, is their cheesecakes. Be sure to give them a try!

Nestled in the bustling Financial District, Maman is a charming southern French café and bakery that originally hails from New York City. This delightful spot on King Street West invites you to savor locally sourced breakfasts and lunches amidst its inviting ambiance, complete with rustic wooden farm tables and beautiful blue-and-white tiles. The outdoor terrace is a perfect escape during warmer months, surrounded by greenery.
I’ll admit it — this is definitely one of those Instagram-famous treats, but the moment I saw “Tahiti” on the menu, my heart couldn’t resist. One treat you can’t miss is this Tahiti sea salt honey latte because sometimes, it’s not about the price tag — it’s about that emotional connection. Great service great vibe!

The croissants and blueberry cake tastes really amazing! Love the experience overall. The almond croissant was the highlight!! Must try bakery/cafe in downtown. They have multiple and unique flavours. They also have a variety of options for breakfast and lunch as well! Additionally the staff is efficient and makes your experience worth- while. Great place with great vibes!

Nice vibe and outdoor atmosphere. Very nice and friendly staff. Food below average. Latte had too much milk vs amount of coffee. Canele bottom was kind of burned. Almond croissant was only crispy at both ends and rest very doughy. Didn’t meet expectations for food.

If you ever find yourself at Maman Café, do yourself a favor and try everything — but especially the Smashed Avocado Tartine. It’s hands down the best thing on the menu and an absolute must-try. The café itself has that warm French flair to it that makes you want to linger, and the staff are honestly the best — welcoming, friendly, and always on point. Don’t miss this gem! I’m not the best food-fluencer but trust me it’s worth every bite!

This is a very cute cafe in the heart of the Financial District, on the food court concourse level of First Canadian Place (FCP). They have 2 communal dining tables if you’d like to enjoy your meal at the cafe that makes you feel like at hime; or, you can use the food court tables. They have great variety of vegan, vegetarian and gluten free sandwiches, salads, soup and pastries. They also have creative and seasonal drinks menu. I strongly recommend “Katie’s Chicken Sandwich” and “Lynett’s Chipotle Chicken Salad Sandwich”. “Salted Tahini Honeycomb Latte” was very unique and creative, and it was at the right temperature to enjoy it right away. The staff are friendly and patient with the hangry people at lunchtime. Lol

Whisked Gluten-Free Bakery in Toronto is a must-visit for those seeking delectable gluten-free treats. This bakery offers a wide range of goodies, including cakes, cookies, pies, and pastries that are not only delicious but also free from soy, nuts, peanuts, and sesame. Customers rave about the mouthwatering rosemary bread and the delightful cheesecake brownie that strikes the perfect balance of sweetness.
Discovered this bakery recently while searching for gluten free options in Toronto. The location is good, and they offer a lot of variety and options. They have all kind of baked goods and cake available. Last time i was there i got the flat bread but thought it was too salty. Wish they have a low sodium option. Would recommend.

I am very disappointed with this bakery. Firstly I ordered a 10 inch Vanilla Cake with custom design. Unfortunately to start the design was not as expected. I waited until today to review because I was hoping that the cake flavour would make up for the lack of luster design unfortunately it did not. Considering the cost of this cake as basic is 98$ it was not worth the money or my drive- over 150 km to get the cake. The vanilla cake was okay it was very dense not fluffy and fresh tasting The icing was awful. It tasted like oil. It was very greasy and hard. I'm really sad to have to give this review because walking into the place looks lovely and I had high hopes and good expectations due to other reviews however I was extremely disappointed mostly with the flavour and texture of this cake.

Finally visited this bakery that also makes vegan cakes! They had at least half a dozen vegan goodies from what I glanced and the couple of options we tried were delicious. The vegan maple butter tart bar was too sweet for my taste. I can’t wait to try their carrot cake next! My husband loved the blueberry coconut bar. We are yet to try the vegan shepherd pie! They even had vegan cup cakes! I wish we didn’t find this place so we can stay away from delicious calories but now that we did we better find ways to burn it! It’s so good! They are also very kind. The baker stepped out to tell us there is hot bread ready! So glad they chose to make vegan baked goods. I soo wish they made vegan scones. I’ve only been able to find those in Montreal and no where in Toronto yet!

I went late in the day, but they still had a lot of great stuff! I'm a big fan of the sourdough bagels and the macarons. My partner got some fresh soup which he really enjoyed. I like that they had some savoury options, since I'm not really a big fan of sweets. Great that there is a delivery option too, since they are not at all local to me.

We decided to pop in to check out this bakery but we didn’t realize it was gluten free. I was at first comparing it to the more well known bakeries and then realized that it was more of a health conscious approach of a bakery. Nonetheless, I got a few items which included a cupcake, cookies, and cinnamon rolls. I went for the vegan options. The cookies and cupcake were tasty, very nice and right amount of sugar, held up very well and wasn’t crumbly. The cinnamon rolls I found to be less “cinnamon-y” than I would’ve liked, but by the second day of having it, I enjoyed it warm! If you’re like me and are used to traditional bake shops, give this place a try and go in with an open mindset! Service was great also, the cashier was very kind and patient with us as we were trying to decide what to get! I’m glad I visited and can’t wait to visit again!

They make the best gluten free sourdough bread and bagels in the city. Ingredients and quality are top notch. Took me a while to find them but now that I am, I’m a regular. I’ve tried a few of the baked goods as well and have always enjoyed everything I’ve tried. Customer service is excellent and if you’re lucky you’ll pop in when they’re recipe testing and get to try something yummy before it’s ready to be sold.
M P — Google review
They seem to be redefining what taste means to gluten free baked goods. Moist cupcakes, very lemony and crumbly lemon squares, an apple strudel that was savoury and sweet, and a maple pecan bar that goes perfect with coffee. If you haven't been, it's a little tough to find as it's nestled just off of Ellesmere Road in Unit 4 of a very long multi unit building. There's very little signage off of the road, but it's worth looking for. The woman at the front of the store was very conversational and sweetly friendly. She was very accommodating answering all my silly questions about gluten free foods and made me feel very comfortable. Whether you have a gluten sensitivity or not, this is definitely a bakery worth visiting and trying. If it's not for you, it's not for you, but I guarantee you'll be pleasantly surprised. Thanks Whisked!

I had high expectations for this place, because of all the positive reviews. I like eating vegan and gluten-free when I can. I tried the cookies n creme vegan cupcake, and it's probably one of the worst cupcakes I've ever had. The chocolate cake part tasted like bananas (no chocolate flavour at all!) and there was still (many) sugar granules in the icing!! I got 6 bars, and they were fine.

Was here last week with my cousin. Such a cute little place! I had the casse noisette and I highly recommend it! It was SO GOOD. Tastes like a gourmet fererro rocher. 10/10! I also got the pistachio crunch bar…amazing. When I go back I’m picking up all they have in stock. I also got the almond chocolate bar which was good as well but not my favorite. The cashier was very nice too! I’ll definitely be back for more treats!

The coffee was great. But the croissants were as a disappointment. The competition on Avenue Rd is far superior. Breakfast was lacking inspiration.

Nice bakery cafe. They have a lot of bread and pastry options. Lots of comfy seating inside and a small patio. The day I went in I was told that their espresso machine was not working. Also, the wait time was rather long even though there were not too many customers. I think they could have benefited from having 1 more staff working. The almond croissant was excellent. The blueberry tart looked better than it tasted, but was still good. 😋 Overall, it was a good first experience, but I would have liked to have a coffee with my pastry.

A recent trip to the Forest Hill area brought us to find this lovely French bakery cafe. Bought some interesting croissants like almond/honey and banana/coconut. They were gone before I took photos. The other two were coconut and then a mixed berry, also very nice. A couple of lovely fruit tarts and some delicious hot chocolate rounded out a very nice visit. Great place to practice your French too!

I’ve been to this place so many times last year twice every month at least I am Handicapped and in a motorized wheelchair. I was there Friday, July 4 and it was the worst service I have ever received. I asked for crêpes they said they had none. I asked for something else they could not make it because no chef was on duty. I asked for a regular sandwich just ham and cheese. It took over 40 minutes and I did not get my sandwich. I asked for a refund. Horrible service I will not go there anymore I hope this helps others make a decision

Amazing quality cakes! Yes, the price is high but definitely worth it for a special occasion. You do need to enjoy your dessert though, so don’t go here if you don’t have a sweet tooth.

The portions are poor and the price is significantly higher compared to your local cafe. Foods are more expensive than ordering from a proper restaurant. No wifi either. The pastries seems to be good tho. I would do take out pastry and coffee only here.

Gerrard St. Bakery is a new venture by a talented baker with experience from renowned Toronto establishments. The blueberry scones are a standout, perfectly balanced in sweetness and bursting with fruit. Their empanadas, like the cheeseburger and chicken curry ones, are highly recommended for their authentic flavors. The pecan butter tart is described as delicious despite being a bit pricey, while the apple tart didn't quite hit the mark.
I stopped in to pick up a small birthday cake and was overwhelmed by how amazing everything looked. I ended up picking up the brown butter vanilla cake, two cookies (one sprinkle, one chocolate chunk), one sticky toffee pudding, and a Korean pulled pork empanada. I was floored by how delicious everything was. I had the empanada while I walked home because it was warm, and it was perfectly flaky. It felt like a really cozy hearty treat on a cold day. The staff recommended heating up the sticky toffee pudding in the microwave for 50 seconds and it was one of the best I’ve ever had. The cookies were also lovely and I wish I bought more. Last but not least, the cake tasted so special. I’ve never had brown butter icing but it’s a really lovely unexpected nutty flavour. I’m disappointed I didn’t stop by sooner but now that I know how amazing this place is I’ll definitely be back

I always go to this place because I love the size of the cakes, and the baked goods are really great!! Love the cheesecakes and love the size of them. I wish the carrot cake had a more cream cheese tasting icing. I've had the carrot, brown butter and butter tart cakes- make sure to eat close to or at room temperature (like 2 hours out of fridge). Everything else is great and staff is great!

Gerrard St. Bakery makes an excellent butter tart! The crust is a perfect soft texture, and I like how they don't overdo the filling — you get a nice mouthful from each bite, but it isn't overwhelming. This is a good butter tart for people who usually don't like them because there's too much filling.

I finally got to try Primrose Bagel and honestly—it’s the best bagel I’ve had in Toronto! I ordered the Bodega Bagel on an onion bagel, and it was insanely good. Definitely the best bagel iv ever had! The menu is fairly accessible in terms of price and the quality of the food speaks volumes. I will say you should be prepared to wait at this place. It seemed like even the folks that ordered ahead had to wait a bit. I’m not entirely sure if it was worth a half hour wait but we also went on a Saturday morning when the weather was beautiful so that may have played into it. And when you’re making something so good and have welcoming staff AND a cute spot then the wait is obviously related to everything you’re doing right.

Best Bagels in Toronto Period! The Lox and cream cheese bagel was outstanding. This was for sure the best; smoked salmon I’ve ever had, so fresh and delicious. Follow @bredgyeats for more food posts! The litmus test for all bagel spots: the classic cured salmon with cream cheese. Always go for the toasted everything bagel for a light, crisp and fragrant undertone, which complements the powerful savoriness of the silky lox. The tangy cream cheese helps to tone down the poignant saltiness of the salmon, which the crisp red onions, fresh cucumbers, tangy mustard and briny capers create a symphony of flavours all concentrated into one bite.
Bredgy L — Google review
Tried This Bagel Spot for the First Time – Loved It! Their bagels are seriously good — chewy in the best way, with a great texture. I especially liked the za’atar bagel — flavorful and unique, definitely a standout. I picked up the gravlax bagel, which comes with smoked salmon, but not the brined kind. That actually makes it a great match with capers and pickles, balancing the flavors really nicely. The only downside was that the salmon had just been taken out of the fridge and was still cold. Sandwiched between a freshly toasted bagel, it cooled the whole thing down pretty quickly, which took away from the overall experience. If you grab one to go, I’d recommend popping it into the oven for a quick reheat — it’ll bring out the best of both the bagel and the fillings. Definitely looking forward to going back and trying more!

Such a wonderful place! We had last minute changes to my daughter’s 30 birthday party, and when I called the cafe - we instantly got a most gracious welcome, last moment private section at the place, they gave me the table in time and it was a most memorable themed event! Highly recommend booking for your private parties! 🎊 Thank you team!!!!

Portions were great and I was quite full and could barely finish. A friend said they weren't too hungry but after eating the mushroom pasta was quite hungry (so a bit less filling). Drinks were well made and a nice cool temperture. Water was filled constantly and the waitress was quite soft spoken but sweet. The rice is flavored and not white rice which was an interesting suprise.

We came on a Sunday around 11:30 and all the We ordered a black sesame latte and cheesecake Hojicha latte with oat milk. They were both good and unique flavors. Though the pictures and menu say iced, you can request to have it warm. It was pretty busy for a Sunday late afternoon. Workers were nice. This is a place where you order and grab your drink to go. Close to a parking garage. And you need to take some steps down. tables were full. We were able to order some pastries and drinks to go. All the pastries were room temperature (not sure if we were able to ask them to warm it up). We ordered the chocolate pineapple bun. The lattice structure in the outside had a nice crunch. It was supposed to be filled with chocolate, but there was only a little bit of chocolate. The garlic bun had a good garlic and sweet flavor. But I wished the bread was more soft. The matcha mouse bun had a nice and airy mouse that wasn’t very sweet. But I also wished the bread part was softer. The matcha latte was not bad. It tastes like typical matcha lattes at other bakeries. The Hong Kong milk tea was very fragrant. Taste was fine. The person who took our order was very nice. Parking was very close.

Very disappointing underseasoned omurice, overcooked fried items, and sour-tasting steak I was really looking forward to trying Shan Shan’s Omurice but left extremely disappointed. The omurice was half-cooked a lot of plain white grains left un-fried and the fried rice component had almost no seasoning or salt, so the whole dish tasted bland and unfinished. The outer omelette seemed to be cooked in a too-cool pan and had a noticeable eggy/uncooked smell. The fried items were overcooked and rock-hard, making it impossible to taste what they were supposed to be. Worst of all, the steak had a sour, off taste it seemed like the meat had been poorly handled (possibly repeated freeze–thaw or chemical tenderizer) and was not fresh. Service was polite but this felt like inconsistent kitchen standards rather than a one-off mistake. For the price and the hype, this was unacceptable. I won’t be returning until they fix basic seasoning, frying technique, and food handling.

I made a reservation for opening on a weekend and there were some empty other tables. But sometimes I am unable to make reservations for opening so I am not sure about walking in. The food was pretty good but the chicken in the creamy chicken udon was quite dry. Atmosphere is nice, it is bright with the large windows and it is not too loud of bustling.

Found this little gem online when looking for a place to meet a friend for lunch in the area. No idea what to expect, and it certainly did not disappoint! From the minute you walked in to a bright and inviting atmosphere, welcoming staff and a gorgeous display of pastries. Wow! Everything on the menu was appealing and it was hard to decide (especially seeing other plates at other tables). Our meals were fantastic, flavourful, attractively plated, good portion size and super fresh tasting. The drinks were unique and absolutely delicious. All we kept talking about was when we would come back again. It was truly a memorable experience.

ATTENTION: WORSE + PRICE NOT MATCHING We ordered the rib eye beef omelette rice because the photo looks pretty good on google review… Turns out the food quality is bad and with the price $27.99, I would say I’m very disappointed. 1. Curry is tasteless and very watery 2. Beef is tough and bloody juice on the egg, this is kinda disgusting 3. Soy rice instead of white rice, as omelette rice this is weird We also ordered a latte and creme brûlée latte both of them are pretty good, no complaints. However the omelette rice really ruined my day.

Sud Forno is an Italian bakery and restaurant known for its delicious breads, sweets, sandwiches, and more. The pop-up shop at Farm Boy Front & Bathurst offered an amazing experience with a variety of treats like Focaccia, bombolini treats, cannoli, chocolate mousse, and butterscotch budino. The staff hosting the event were engaging and friendly.
Sud Forno has always been my go-to spot for a quick espresso and something sweet. Desserts are always fresh, never stale, and the coffee has that proper boldness that makes you feel like you’re waking up for real. The staff here are consistently friendly, never pushy, and just seem to know how to keep things moving while still keeping it welcoming. Honestly, I don’t even know what I’d complain about here. Only thing is I really wish they had panettone year-round. That’s it. Otherwise, this place checks all the boxes whenever I need a reliable coffee and dessert break.

Great macchiato. Not the top I've ever had but very good. Flavorful mini bombolonis with cream inside. Chill vibe. Lots of space to hang out including a small rooftop patio. Very solid place with marketplace to make your own creations at home or something ready to reheat. At least 4.5.

Absolutely loved the bambolinis here – light, fluffy, and filled generously with rich Nutella or smooth custard. Each bite was a treat! They also have great coffee options, making it the perfect spot for a sweet pick-me-up.

One of the best-quality bakeries in downtown Toronto! They serve the best cornetto and croissant I’ve had in the city—fresh, buttery, and perfectly baked. Everything from the pastries to the coffee is top-notch. The vibe and atmosphere are warm and welcoming, and the prices are surprisingly reasonable compared to many other cafés in the area. Definitely worth a visit!

We tried their pasta and a slice of pizza. The pasta we bought needed to be cooked, and once we prepared it, it turned out great. The pizza was fresh and had a perfect crunch, and the spicy sauce was the perfect finishing touch.

Best little bakery/coffee shop. Could’ve easily spent a fortune here but stuck with some small bites. Mushroom pizza slice was great. Plenty of seating upstairs.

Terroni Sud Forno Produzione e Spaccio (Spaccio East) is a multifaceted establishment that serves as a production space, commissary kitchen, Italian pantry, bottle shop, and cafe. Located in Corktown just off King Street, it offers an array of homemade Italian specialties including ready-to-eat pizza, sandwiches, heat-and-eat entrees, and handmade pastas.
Great place for coffee or brunch. Their americanos and lattes are very tasty. The baked goods were so good, I would go back everyday for these! Their brunch menu is also delicious, and left us feeling good instead of absolutely full. You could taste the quality of the olive oil on the toast too. The atmosphere and music were nice, I love a good italian song! You could see the chefs working on your food in the kitchen, was fun to watch!

I went with my coworkers and we really wanted Italian food. When the bread came I asked for balsamic vinegar and they told me "we only eat bread with olive oil here." Like okay bro, just say you don't have it. And when I asked for honey, they didn't have it?! They sell honey downstairs in their store.. Overall the calamari was good, and pasta was not bad. But what vegetable were they using, broccoli stem?! I'll come back again 😩👌

We recently dined at [Restaurant Name] and came away very impressed. The food was outstanding — everything from the meatballs to the pasta and pizza was great and felt truly authentic. The flavours were well-balanced, the portions generous, and each dish clearly made with care. The service was prompt and efficient. Our server was attentive, things came out quickly, and we never felt left waiting. It made the whole meal more enjoyable. One of the more unique touches was the layout — especially the washroom, which was unlike anything we’ve seen before. Also impressive: they have a section where you can buy their pasta and goods to take home. That was a nice bonus. All in all, I’d highly recommend this place. If you’re looking for delicious Italian-style fare with good service and some interesting design flourishes, this is definitely worth checking out.

A great spot to buy freshly done pastries and prepared meals. Coffee is really good but beware of flys on pastries was a bit turned off by them. Doing a great job keeping clean but would rather the pastries be covered. The frozen items are delicious can’t go wrong with Terroni fresh pastas also are great. Huge patio to grab lunch and a large seating area inside also. Highly recommend enjoy and thank me later. ❤️ if you appreciate review.

Atmosphere was great. Now for the food review. Our family order pizzas, pasta and calamari app. Pizza was on the salty side, linguine pasta dish came out cold. Kitchen prepare a new one and it a was much better. Calamari portion small and didn’t come with the traditional dips and lemon. I’m not rushing back but if convenient and necessary I would go back.

The food was incredibly fresh and delicious! Everything was made right in front of us, and we could see the kitchen where all the magic was happening. The service was excellent — friendly, helpful, and attentive. There’s even a store downstairs where they sell their own products and condiments. A truly authentic Italian restaurant and a must-visit — we’ll definitely be coming back!

We spot this place because we were visiting Riverdale Park. This is an amazing place for very tradition Italian food. They make pasta fresh inside the restaurant which actually is a food processing factory. They have retail store for Italian dishes ingredient. The best pizza I have ever get in Toronto.

I recently visited Spaccio, and overall, it was an enjoyable experience. The Italian food was absolutely phenomenal, with the seafood pasta standing out as a perfect 10/10. Each dish we tried was full of flavor, expertly prepared, and truly captured the essence of Italian cuisine. Our server, Sebastian, was a standout—his service was top-notch, attentive, and friendly, making the meal even more enjoyable. However, my experience was slightly marred by the hostess, Maria. Despite the restaurant being nearly empty when we arrived during a non-busy time, we didn’t feel particularly welcomed. Maria was somewhat indifferent, and even when we left, she made no effort to say goodbye or acknowledge us in any way. This was a bit disappointing, especially considering her role at the front of the restaurant, where she interacts with every guest. First impressions matter, and as the first person customers encounter, the hostess sets the tone for the entire dining experience. It’s important for all guests to feel valued from the moment they walk in, and unfortunately, that wasn’t the case here. That said, I hope Spaccio takes note of this and works to ensure that all guests are treated with warmth and courtesy. The food and service from our waiter were exceptional, and I believe with some attention to the front-of-house experience, Spaccio could be an even more outstanding dining destination.

Almond Butterfly Bistro is a renowned Toronto establishment that caters to those with dietary restrictions, offering delectable dairy-free and gluten-free pastries and croissants. The bistro location in Trinity Bellwoods neighborhood stands out for its exclusive Pancake Stack featuring mixed berry compote, fresh fruit, and maple syrup.
This was the first time in 20 years that I could order anything and everything off the menu! I almost cried! I had French Toast the first time in a restaurant and it was decadently delicious. Typically GF options are the basics, but that was not the case this time! Great menu items. I ordered a side of onion rings because, why not?? They were huge! I visited with two gluten eaters who also enjoyed their meals. My husband said the fries were better seasoned than our brunch from the day before! I'm from out of town and this was the one and only item on my must see list and I wasn't disappointed! I will be back on every visit to Toronto 🧡 Thank you for the delicious eats -yes I took treats home with me!!

Since I chose to be gluten-free, this was the first gluten free place that caught my eyes. Last picture is from a cafe on Harbord street and the rest are from Bistro on Dundas. I loved the bread they use here. I ordered a cheese melt. It was so cheesy and buttery. Also look how much fries they put! I shared it with my friend at the end haha. The flatbread wasn’t as I expected to be. The dough was a bit hard and crispy. It was more like crackers. The coffee here was good too and the apple crumble cheesecake, it was delicious. I mean the apple, caramel, crumbs and cheese, it cannot go wrong with these combinations. I’d definitely come back for more food. Next time, I want to try their pancakes. Their cafe doesn’t have as much savory food as the bistro does, but more pastries. Personally, I would say I like their savory food than sweets, however they have a variety of different pastries to choose from.

All gluten free, which makes my life so much easier. I am also allergic to lactose though, and that cut down my options but the food still managed to be pretty good. The atmosphere and the food presentation is great. They were rushed while we were there so we had to wait quite a while to receive our food. Good for brunch

My daughter, her friends and I decided to visit here for her birthday brunch. My daughter had seen a video on TikTok and wanted to give it a try as she’s celiac. We were not disappointed. She had the crispy chicken sandwich. I had the Cobb salad. Her friends had the chicken tenders and another crispy chicken sandwich, as well as fries. For dessert we had the chocolate mint cupcake, the molten lava cake and the chocolate chip cookie. Everything was fresh, and delicious. My daughter and friends were blown away.

I was visiting Toronto from the UK, and I have a gluten intolerance, so we'd looked up a few recommendations on places to eat before we came out. Almond Butterfly Bistro had shown up on a few websites and blogs, so my partner and I were excited to visit. It did not disappoint. There was a fantastic, varied menu. We both opted for pancakes, and they were absolutely delicious. My partner commented that he couldn't tell they were gluten-free, which is a huge compliment. I wish we had longer in Toronto, as we would have come back, but it is definitely a place we'll revisit on our next trip. Almond Butterfly also have cakes and pastries available from the front of the bistro, and we would have indulged had we not been full up from our pancakes!

i hate to leave a negative review because what this restaurant is doing is so important for people with celiac disease…but my burger was so bad… 😭😭 the bun was really hard which i could forgive because it is gluten free, but the patty was so dry and had no taste at all. the matcha i got was fantastic though! just a shame that we waited for over an hour for food that wasn’t that great 😞 will come back again because this is one of the only restaurants my friend can eat at, but i definitely will not be getting the burger again.

Kitten and the Bear is a charming tea room located in Toronto's Dundas West neighborhood, designed to resemble an English countryside cottage. The cozy shop offers a quaint tasting room where lucky diners can sample seasonal, small-batch preserves made in-house, along with freshly baked scones using Hewitts Dairy buttermilk and a choice of Sloane Tea or 49th Parallel Coffee.
I love getting my scones here—they’re fresh, flaky, moist, and perfectly buttery without being too sweet. Unlike the drier scones I’ve had elsewhere, these are crumbly and pastry-like, made in batches throughout the day. My favorite is the Blueberry Earl Grey, packed with juicy berries and a hint of tea, finished with a vanilla drizzle. The shop is a tea lover’s dream, carrying unique brands and an assortment of adorable Royal Doulton teacups and saucers. You can even take home frozen dough to bake fresh scones yourself!

Smashing IT! 🍰🫖🍰 Nestled in the heart of ultra trendy Dundas Street West lies a very unique and cozy place to get some of the city's best scones! This place is a cute little marvel that you have to try! Great for an afternoon tea break with your favorite scone and one of their many very tasty homemade jams. They definitely know and understand the art of perfecting the perfect scone, and you will not be disappointed! I just loved the buttermilk and blueberry scones. The strawberry and lemon curd were a perfect match with the scones. The shortbread cookies were tasty and delightful, just what my cup of tea was craving! They also have a lot of other delicious desserts such as shortbread cookies, buttercream tea cakes, a wide selection of jam, and the most amazing lemon curd. So if you're in the mood for some tea and scone, then definitely Kitten and the Bear is where it's at for them! Also, the space is great to sit back and sip some of their amazing teas or to go. They have an assortment of teas to purchase as well. Great vibe and great energy with amazing customer service.

Grew up in the UK, so very picky with it comes to scones. Kitten and the Bear, offer the absolute best scones in Toronto, always 10/ 10 in quality. You can’t go wrong with the buttermilk, however, the other flavour combinations I’ve tried are “chef’s kiss”. Service is always friendly no matter how busy they are (Mother’s Day is crazy busy). Don’t forget your clotted cream and enjoy! Also, the frozen scones are super easy to make and turn out perfectly if you follow the directions.

Very cute shop and lovely experience. Super friendly staff. Tried a few different flavoured scones and they were hit and miss, but the scone base was delicious. Lemon & lavender - 4/5 good lemon lacked lavender Blueberry earl grey- 4/5 big blueberry pieces but not strong earl grey Peach and vanilla- 2/5 Had high hopes, but it fell flat with barely any peach flavour Will definitely come back especially to get some of the pantry items.

It is really nice to have the option to do high tea at home. Kitten and the Bear were immaculate in their attention to detail, the food, the packaging, the menu, and the customer service, all were 10/10. I can't recommend them enough. My aunt had a great birthday and the food was so tasty. The homemade jam and curd were so good and I was totally surprised by the tea cake with buttercream - it ended up being my favourite! A really excellent and high quality option for high tea if you can't eat out at a restaurant, even if you can though I still recommend them!
Brock — Google review
Check out @bredgyeats for food pics! Scones are ubiquitous at tea time because of their buttery, moist bite, which is polarized by a crispy exterior. They are absolutely perfect with tea and delectable on their own, too. For a more traditional yet exciting taste, the fruitiness of blueberries is combined with the floral aromas of Earl Grey. Its flakier texture and frosting on top set it apart from the former scone.

La Boulangerie is a must-visit for any carb enthusiast, offering a delectable array of freshly baked goods from croissants to sourdough and chocolate-filled beignets. The bakery has evolved over the years, now featuring a market component where authentic French items can be purchased. Their bread, particularly the soft baguette and not-too-sour sourdough, is highly recommended.
I’ve loves this cafe for a while and was excited when I learned they opened a French Bistro in the same location. Haven’t had French food this good since visiting France, and the prices were quite reasonable. Ambiance is A+ and the servers are fantastic. Check it out before it becomes impossible to get a reso.

It’s a vibrant busy cafe on a Saturday (late am visit) with a cool vibe. Cappuccino and almond croissant were delicious. Sesame bagel with smoked salmon, dill and cream cheese didn’t come a slices of fish with which I didn’t expect. It’s tiny pieces of fish mixed with cream cheese. Tasty but small. I’ll try sourdough sandwich next time, seemed popular. My friend enjoyed the pistachio cake.
Megan B — Google review
From the moment you walk into this cozy café, you can feel the warmth and charm that makes it truly special. The aroma of freshly brewed coffee hits you instantly — rich, bold, and perfectly balanced. Every cup feels like it was made with care, not rushed or generic like most places these days. Their espresso is smooth and aromatic, and the cappuccino is the perfect mix of velvety foam and deep espresso flavor. But the real hidden gem here? The sandwiches. Every one feels thoughtfully crafted, from the flaky, buttery croissants to the perfectly toasted baguettes. I tried the jambon-beurre and the chicken pesto panini — both were absolutely delicious. The ingredients taste fresh, the bread is baked to perfection, and everything is presented beautifully. You can tell there’s real passion behind the food. What ties it all together is the owner, who is genuinely one of the kindest people you’ll meet. They greet every customer with a smile, remember regulars by name, and take pride in making sure everyone feels at home. You can sense their love for French culture and hospitality in every detail — from the décor to the playlist to the way the food is plated. Whether you’re stopping in for a morning espresso, a quick lunch, or just to unwind with a pastry and a book, this café delivers every single time. A true 5-star gem that deserves all the praise it gets.

I got an iced mocha and iced americano from this location, the service was pretty quick and the baristas were very friendly. I didn’t get a chance to try the pastries but they looked amazing. Pricing is fair and pretty average when compared to most coffee shops in Toronto. Definitely will be back!
Arvind J — Google review
I honestly wish this was a joke, but I spent over an hour here just trying to get a single croissant, a coffee, and eventually, my bill. This spot was next-level disorganized. The service was painfully slow from the moment I sat down. It took 20 minutes just to place my order, another 30+ to get a basic croissant and lukewarm coffee, and then I had to flag someone down three separate times just to pay. By then, I was so frustrated I didn't even want to eat anymore. What’s worse is that there was no apology, no explanation, no urgency — just indifference. The place wasn’t even that busy. I rarely leave negative reviews, but this felt like a complete disregard for customers’ time. I’m all for slow mornings and laid-back cafes, but this was just poor service. It honestly made me question coming back, which is a shame because I was hoping this would become a regular spot. If management actually reads these, I’d love to know: is this the norm, or did I just catch the worst possible day?

I would like to rate zero, quality of food very overrated and very expensive. I ordered the salmon and egg sandwich and received the tiniest bit of salmon not even a slice, I complained and the server laughed and then advised she put more salmon than usual, would not recommend. I highly recommend this place! This gluten-free bakery is my top favorite. Since I tried the muffins, scone and lemon bar, I’ve been coming back every Saturday. They only open on Wednesday and Saturday which I get really excited to come back every week to try new items. I’ve been here three times so far and none of them got me disappointed. It’s hard to say which one is the best but my favorite so far is the raspberry chocolate cake and plum honey muffin. Their muffins are so fluffy, and have just enough amount of sweetness. The brownie here is also one of my secret favorite. I’m not a big fun of brownies, but the one they have is not too heavy and sweet, it’s very light. I can’t believe that all the products are also dairy, soy and corn free. The owner is a very kind and sweet person. It’s one of the reasons I love to come back to support their business. They also have frozen stuff and fresh sourdough bread. Once I complete their baked goods, I will definitely try their bread and some of the frozen items.

Owner is a super nice guy. Sourdough is wow I’ve had a lot of gluten free bread in toronto but their bread is soft and gooey. The pies and cones were crispy and flakey and not too dense. Raspberry filling was delicious. This is low key one of the most precise tasting gluten free bakeries I’ve had in toronto. I wish they were open more days so I can come snack more but they function as a wholesaler so come on Saturdays. Not a massive menu but not a small one either. They got frozen gluten dimsum in the freezer. They bake fresh to order in small quantities and I can tell this place has a cult following. 8/10 rating I’ll be back and I’ll probably eat that whole menu.

This is an AMAZING place for the celiac community. They have a nice selection of items. I have other food limitations & when I ask about ingredients he always double checks to make sure he knows everything that goes in to make sure I'm safe. Some people can get annoyed with that, but he's always pleasant about it. I LOVE the mini pizzas. I love the desserts. Considering that the items are gluten free gourmet, the prices are very good. I think with the prices and the quality of food, they are quite competitive as most places charge more for much less in quality. p.s. the pic of the choc cake with the golden berry is one of my fav things I've EVER tasted, it's perfection!

This family owned and operated bakery is one of the most delicious gluten free and vegan bakeries that I have been to in a long time. The items are unique and taste like the actual ingredients, not just overly sweet. There is a large variety of options from cupcakes, cookies, cake, tarts and pizzas. You can tell from the quality that this husband and wife duo take a lot of care and pride in the food they produce. The plum tarts were assembled and handled so carefully by the owners! I will be back to try everything else that I didn't last time!

Sweet Hart Kitchen is a cozy bakery located near bustling Kensington Market, offering a variety of baked and raw vegan, gluten-free treats. The friendly shop uses real, whole ingredients that are 100% vegan and avoids artificial flavors and colors. Their products are allergen-free and made with fair trade, organic, and locally sourced ingredients whenever possible. Visitors can enjoy seasonal pies, pastries, and both raw or baked cakes that are naturally sweetened.
My favourite vegan Bakeshop! That staffs incredible and so nice, I ordered the pumpkin spice 4’ cake and they was able to accommodate my changes. Instead of the traditional filling, I replaced it with apple crumble! 10/10 and not too sweet! I also ordered 3 keto cupcakes and a pumpkin pecan square.

This cafe was so cute. It’s a small vegan bakery in Chinatown. I didn’t know it was vegan, and gluten- free going into it. I’m not vegan so I can’t speak for the rest of the customers but I found their baked goods all have a gooey texture, not much of a bite. I got the Blondie, and their chocolate chunk cookie, and it didn’t taste that good. My friend bought some donuts and they all had a salty but strong baking soda taste. The taste of the baked goods weren’t that good, but the service was awesome, the person who helped us was so friendly.

Had the jam filled cookie and a ginger donut and I gotta say I was happy with the taste and quality. The sugar cookie was 10/10; I will have it again and the donut was maybe 1 minute under done but it didn't really impact the taste just texture- 5/10 The shop is cute and cozy and the attendant was kind. The placement of the info tags definitely need to be rearranged because they were confusing and in the wrong spot. Better than bunners down the street

This is a charming local bakery that specializes in gluten-free, vegan and keto type of desserts! If you are trying them for the first time, it has a different texture from regular pastries but nonetheless I really enjoyed the chocolate chunk cookies! The chocolate tasted very good, high quality. Also likes their selection of Pluck teas and the homemade mint tea, not sweet at all and so fresh! Thank you very much! Id love to come by and try other desserts.

This is a very cute location, the owners are super welcoming and the pastries are clearly made with a lot of attention to detail and a lot of love!! Everything was delicious, no exceptions - my absolute favourite was the peanut butter bar - WHAT A DELICIOUS bite, if I had known it was that good I would have ordered 10 more. This little piece of chocolatey peanut butter delight made my day!!!

Always impressed by the perfection of their treats! Friendly staff and delicious goods. Great place to stop by for a snack or for a treat for friends! Although the writing on the glass/fridge doors are kinda confusing and don't always match up to the desserts There was also a girl making out with her bf over the counter and not paying attention to us, patiently waiting to order. Inappropriate but also understandable 🙄

Yummy refined sugar free desserts including cakes!! Highly recommend! I loved their cupcakes too (super moist and very fresh raspberry sauce) and I usually am not a cupcake person.

Won a mini apple pie crumble cake from here and it was the cutest cake ever! Although the cake part was not as fluffy as I would have liked, I really enjoyed the flavour of apple and fall spices. Thanks for having me :)

Robinson Bread is a must-try for bread and pastry enthusiasts. Patti Robinson's delectable loaves are available at various locations, including Burdock Brewery, Paris Paris, Dufferin Grove, and Junction farmers markets. The selection includes sturdy sourdoughs, seeded ryes, perfect pains au lait, ramp-and-cheese danishes, strawberry croissants, and rhubarb-almond cake. Customers rave about the quality and love put into the products.
Robinson Bread is a true gem for anyone who appreciates high-quality bread and pastries. The aroma of freshly baked bread hits you the moment you walk in, and every loaf is perfectly crusty on the outside, soft and flavorful on the inside. Their pastries are nothing short of divine—flaky, buttery, and filled with a variety of sweet and savory options that make it hard to choose just one. Sam James coffee shop adds to the charm, offering expertly latte that pairs perfectly with any treat you select. The cozy atmosphere and friendly staff make it a perfect spot to relax, whether you're grabbing a quick bite or enjoying a leisurely afternoon.

Quick stop post graveyard shift. Latte tasted fantastic, ended up buying beans. Almond croissant was made fresh. Purchased two kinds of sourdough to try. Staff was friendly.

Check out @bredgyeats on Instagram for more food posts! This bread has absolutely Stollen my heart, each bite hitting my taste buds with an unmistakably festive flavour and an indulgent dose of marzipan within. Spiced with a warming dose of cinnamon, nutmeg and ginger, it harmonizes with the burst of sweetness of the marzipan, dried fruit, rum, vanilla and candied orange peel. Contrasted with the nutty crunch of roasted almonds, it's somehow completed with a thick crust of powdered sugar that will make it difficult you sneak a bite when no one's looking (you'll do it anyways). Even if Stollen is not in season, swing by to grab any one of their bakery items, as they've got their croissant game down. A buttery bite, flaky exterior and a delicately airy structure inside makes it the quintessential croissant every French person seeks.

The baked goods here are spectacular, every time. From probably the best chocolate croissant I’ve ever had to their amazing quiche tart to loaves of every kind of bread you can imagine, the flavors and textures are exactly right. All this available in a cool Sam James coffee bar where you can also get amazing coffee drinks. Fun to watch them making all the goodies behind tall glass walls while you enjoy your treats.

Very friendly and neighbourly bakery with windows to watch the staff make their bread fresh! The selection is standard, but good for a treat every now and then.

Sourdough Bread loaf was under cooked. Inside was gummy and sticky. When I cut through it, the knife blade was left with a sticky residue and the loaf stuck together
Sonia M — Google review
Croissants does not taste like the original ones, they are more like bread, with almost no chocolate in the middle. “French people do not get croissants from this place, you will be disappointed”. Danish was super dry and bitter, not fresh. Cookies were super salty, unable to eat them. Customer service deficient.
Adri B — Google review
Croissant is flakey but needs more butter. No idea who is saying these croissants are good. Green onion bun, however, is awesome. Great contrast with the sesame seeds and cheesey crispy swirls.
