Ramen restaurant
Japanese restaurant
Sansotei Ramen is a popular Canadian ramen brand with locations in Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, and the GTA. Specializing in tonkotsu ramen inspired by the Kyushu and Hokkaido regions of Japan, their rich and creamy pork bone broth is made fresh daily. Despite long wait times, the unique flavors at Sansotei make it worth the visit.
I discovered this place a long time ago through Reels, and it definitely lived up to the hype. The ramen broth is incredibly rich, the noodles are firm and chewy, and the toppings are generous. I also recommend trying the fried chicken appetizer—it’s perfectly crispy and really tasty. The restaurant is clean and well-kept. Aside from the slightly narrow staircase leading downstairs, there’s nothing to complain about. Overall, I highly recommend this spot!
Christopher D — Google review
Really delicious and filling Ramen, with a cute shop and charming service. The waitress was really sweet :) I liked how they asked for the firmness of the noodles. I like mine chewy and it definitely was! The simple combo (12$) is greatly underrated as it comes with a little rice bowl and a simple Ramen. (Pictured below) Very filling and the cheapest Ramen on the menu! Only thing is the prices can be expensive but I feel that's just typical Ramen restaurants these days. I got the tomato Ramen which was 17$ w/o tax & tip

We loved it! We were very satisfied and happily surprised by how good this place and its food are. The dishes are packed with so much flavor, and the staff is very friendly and welcoming! Our server was very sweet with me and my friends. I’ll definitely be coming back soon to try their other specialties. Five stars to everyone who makes this such a great place. ありがとうございます!

We ducked into this Sensotei location for a quick bite and we left with our hunger fully and pleasantly sated. The service was friendly and super efficient. The appetizers and main meals appeared very, very quickly. The gyoza was well pan-fried and tasty. The fried chicken pieces were tender and cooked just right. They were light and flavourful. The two ramen dishes we ordered were just right, and they certainly hit the spot and took care of the ramen cravings.

Visited 1 time. No dedicated parking. No reservation. Place was clean. Friendly and welcoming staffs. As for food, we ordered several and I personally had the garlic/pork broth (tonkotsu black I think). It was reaallly good! Loved it specially after a long windy day. Will surely visit again. #highlyrecommended.
Avisen C — Google review
Lovely interior and a friendly helpful waitress!, great flavorful ramen, black tonkotsu was a solid reccomendation! Would return!
Hany A — Google review
Easily one of my favourite ramen spots. The Miso Black was delicious. First came here in 2018 and was excited to return in 2025. It lived up to the memory once again!
Chris F — Google review
Stopped by during a workday for a quick lunch and it was perfect for that! 🍜 It was busy, but we were served right away. This was actually my first ever ramen experience at a restaurant, as I don't normally go for ramen. Things to know: - broth is homemade and incredibly delicious 🤤 I could have enjoyed it on its own! - you can choose from thick or thin noodles (not a huge difference in width) - not a good spot for big groups or private conversations as tables are very close to one another but good for a spot for 2 people I ordered the tokatsu black and my friend got the spicy tantan - we both loved it and was very filling! I had to pack the rest of mine to go because I was satisfyingly full.😄 I would definitely come back here when looking for something to warm my tummy, especially this winter!

Kinton Ramen, a pioneer in authentic Japanese ramen in Toronto since 2012, is known for its signature umami-rich soup base made from simmering pork and chicken bones for over 20 hours. The menu offers a wide selection including vegetarian options and specials. Currently, they have enticing deals like the Kintonlicious deal and the Kinton Madness deal. Customers rave about the delicious non-vegetarian ramen options, particularly recommending the spicy garlic one.
Great experience at KINTON RAMEN! I had the spicy garlic ramen and Tokyo fries combo – both were super tasty and filling. Friendly atmosphere, smiley staff, and generous portions. Definitely coming back!

Pros = staff was awesome. Very nice and authentic people. Quality seemed above mid. Brisket cut was not bad. Cons = kinda basic flavors. Wasn't blown off my seat with the feeling like I must return. Chicken was straight cold and not desirable at all Overall = for me personally it was good but thats it just good. Making bomb ramen at home is way better these days with organic options but I aint mad at this place if your in the area check it out
Dustin N — Google review
Great service great food. Highly recommend their spicy beef. It was very flavourful. Got Miso chicken and spicy beef. Both were great. Their drinks are good too.
Honest R — Google review
One of the OG ramen joints in Toronto, it's sad to say that Kinton doesn't really stack up anymore against the competition. Bowls tend to be quite basic compared to the large variety of broths, toppings, and additions at other ramen joints. The brand definitely feels like the fast food of ramen these days, albeit this isn't reflected in its prices. Their kaarage is still very good however.
David X — Google review
I had the spicy garlic pork ramen and loved it. The broth was tasty but not overpowering (like I sometimes feel at my other fave - Santouka), the pork was flavourful, and the noodles had the right amount of bite. Service was good. I’ll be back. 😊
JJ G — Google review
I tried the “meal for one.” The gyoza dumplings were delicious. I ordered the shoyu ramen but felt compelled to add extra soy sauce. I don’t know if maybe I needed a pallet cleanser between each dish but the broth tasted bland before I added the extra soy. Nevertheless, the Ajitsuke Tamago was on point!
L F — Google review
I recently tried the ramen here, and it was absolutely incredible! The broth was rich and spicy, packed with bold flavors. The tender pork melted in your mouth, the chili pepper provided a nice kick, while the garlic ball—oh, the garlic ball—was a game changer! Pro tip: be sure to mix the garlic ball well into the ramen before you start eating. I learned this the hard way when I bit into it whole, and let's just say it was a bit much! Once it's blended in, though, it enhances the dish perfectly with that garlicky goodness. Overall, this ramen is a must-try for spice lovers and garlic fans. Can’t wait to come back!
Sneha A — Google review
Do yourself a favour and don’t order the two for one ramen chicken special. They have cut their costs by only including one small piece of chicken. Better to get just one and have a decent amount included. It was still good, just very disappointed with the protein portion in a $25 - $30 bowl of ramen.

Ramen Isshin is a popular destination in Toronto known for its authentic Japanese ramen noodle soup. The restaurant offers a variety of options, including the signature Wok Fried Red Miso Ramen, Shoyu Kotteri Tsukemen, Black Sesame Tan Tan Noodle, and White Sesame Shio Ramen. Vegetarian ramen options are also available.
Atmosphere rated 4/5 because the music was slightly too loud and I would have preferred a physical food menu, since the drink menu was a physical one. The pork in my ramen was cooked to perfection. I had the gyoza and Kotteri Rich Shoyu ramen. They were both delicious. Food arrived incredibly quickly after ordering. Staff were attentive and friendly. I had the hibiscus yuzu soda to drink and I would recommend. Great place, would love to come back if I had more time here.
Madeleine H — Google review
We started with the chicken karaage. It had a nice thin crispy skin. The inside was very juicy. Just wish they gave more than just simple Kewpie as the dip. A garlic dip would have been nice! The Red Dragon was very flavorful. It reminded me of Chinese flavors with the spices. It was savory and packed a nice punch. My favorite was the garlic roasted shoyu. The broth was beautifully creamy and rich. The Cha shu melted in your mouth. The noodles had a great chew and bounce to them. Service was quick and friendly. It's not my favorite ramen spot on College, but it was still very good!
Stan — Google review
Today I tried the spicy red miso ramen at Isshin Ramen. As with most ramen locations, no condiments were on the table. With that being said, I was certainly surprised when I took my first taste of the soup broth. The soup was very tasty and thick. I could taste the quality and attention to detail in the subtle flavours of the broth. The ramen came with bean sprouts, carrots, onions, wood ear mushroom, and chives that were wok fried plus a good amount of green onion slices. Lastly two slices of cha shu pork. The spice level of the soup could have been hotter for me but still enjoyable. I would say the level was light to medium in heat. The wavy noodles were chewy and picked up the taste of the soup very well. I will certainly be back to try other ramen dishes in the future. This ramen shop has a great selection of appetizers like tako wasabi and age tofu to name two. Overall, great ramen and an excellent selection of dishes to choose from. Well worth the visit.
Bob K — Google review
The restaurant wasn't busy when we were there around 12:30pm on a Sunday. We ordered 4 different kinds of ramen and an order of cream croquettes. The croquettes were very hot but the filling was a little runny. Out of the 4 ramen bowls, the black sesame tan tan was the best. The tomato soup in a stone bowl dip noodles was just alright. The other 2 were not bad. Service was good.
Felix W — Google review
The wait ended and we finally dined in at Ramen Isshin, College St location. Vegan and Vegetarian options at a classic ramen bar style resto is a great offering. The staff is very friendly and patient with you orders and very helpful too helping with dietary requirements. We like our vegetario Miso and Garlic ramen bowls with a special mention to the burnt garlic shoyu. A friend accompanying us tried the chicken starter and the ramen bowl and was pretty impressed. Service was pretty quick. Prices are on the expensive side given the quantity. Decent experience if you one is craving for vegetarian warm comfort noodle bowls

A bit older venue than their branch in Queen st. We liked that one better. Service was fast and good. Didn't like the light shoyu at all! The soup tasted like seafood but it wasn't part of the menu description.

Ramen Isshin is one of the best ramen spots I’ve ever tried. Every time I have visited, it has been consistently delicious. The croquette filling was extremely runny, although still good. Rating the ramen itself, 10/10.

Ramen restaurant
Japanese restaurant
Konjiki Ramen is a renowned spot in Toronto, known for its exceptional pork bone ramen soup and house-made noodles. The menu features innovative dishes like Clam Potage Tsukemen, Mild Clam Broth Pork Ramen, and Lobster Ramen, incorporating unique ingredients such as Black Truffles and Porcini Mushroom.
Came here to have a nice meal, and it completely exceeded my expectations. While it was all at a hefty price, it left an amazing impression and I was greatly pleased. I ordered the Signature Intense Clam Shoyu Ramen, and it was packed with flavour. The intensity did not become too much even at the last bite, and every single bite was as enjoyable as the first. We added an egg on top for both of our ramen, and it was jammy and just-right. I had a try with the Original Shoyu Tonkotsu Ramen too, and its aroma is unforgettable. We also ordered Braised Pork Belly and Chicken Karaage on the side, and those were the best side dishes I’ve ever ordered. The Chicken Karaage was thin and crispy, and the meat was so juicy and tender. It was perfect when dipped with wasabi and added with a pinch of lemon juice. It was freshly deep fried, and done right. The Braised Pork Belly was mind/blowing as well; I’d never liked pork belly from any other place but this was a different story on its own. Overall, the dishes were immaculate. The service from the waitresses were also amazing, they were really nice and polite to us! The atmosphere was really lively so be sure to get there early to secure your seats. I would 100% recommend this place to go on for a date or something, given that you have a slightly larger budget for the day.
Erilw — Google review
I've visited this place many times but unfortunately, it hasn't lived up to what it used to be. Although the ramen is pretty decent, I think the lobster ramen and the intense shoyu ramen became less rich in flavor. It's a shame because they differentiate the intense shoyu and mild shio, but it's no longer intense. I can't say for certain about other ramen dishes, but the lobster ramen got smaller in size and more expennsive as well. The upside is that they made the noodles thicker, but because the soup is not as rich, it thicker noodles don't pick up the broth as well. And unfortunately, the broth was also not that hot. The service is still good though.
Takeshi K — Google review
Super friendly staff and both the clam broth and Tonkotsu broth ramen were great. The matcha soft serve is to die for. The ube cheesecake was great too.
E K — Google review
Orderes their intense shoyu clam broth and it is intense...strong clam and prawn flavor. If unlike me, you prefer less intense broth you should try the mild shio version. The noodle has a good texture better than your run of the mill ramen shops. Overall it's a nice ramen that I would go back for in Yonge...and maybe try their mild shio version.
Patrick L — Google review
The best ramen in North York. The tonkotsu broth is extremely rich and flavorful, my favorite is the smoky one and my wife loves the spicy red one. Lots of toppings, good serving size, and they also have the super sized version. Highly recommend.
Bruno G — Google review
The lobster ramen was absolutely delicious! It came with a whole, shelled lobster that was large, fresh, and firm. The broth had a rich seafood flavor, and the addition of arugula added a nice depth to the overall taste. Everything was perfectly balanced. Although it’s slightly on the pricey side, it’s definitely worth it. Their original shoyu ramen is also a great value — the broth is on the richer side, very satisfying, and relatively cheap. Even the desserts were high quality. Highly recommended! (Their donburi are mid so you can skip them)
Su J — Google review
If you’re a ramen lover (or just a fan of amazing Japanese food), you need to check out this spot—it’s seriously next level! Authentic Japanese vibes, cozy atmosphere, and the food? Absolutely fantastic. The ramen is rich, flavorful, and comforting in all the right ways. But what really sets this place apart are their limited edition items—yes, I’m talking wagyu beef ramen and lobster gyoza. Totally mind-blowing. And don’t even get me started on the dessert selection. It’s massive—and every single item is a showstopper. From traditional Japanese sweets to modern twists, there’s something for every sweet tooth. This place is a total gem. Whether you’re here for a comforting bowl of ramen or an unforgettable dessert experience, you won’t leave disappointed. 100/10 recommend!
Aleksandra P — Google review
The service was extremely slow, and we had to wait 25 minutes to receive two ramen orders: wagyu and shoyu. The taste of the ramen was mediocre, and the server forgot to bring our appetizer, deep-fried king mushrooms.

Hokkaido Ramen Santouka is a vibrant Japanese noodle restaurant chain known for its specialty in ramen with pork bone broth. The Downtown Core locations offer classic flavors like shio, shoyu, and miso ramen, but the house specialty, Toroniku Ramen, is highly recommended. This dish features melt-in-your-mouth pork jowl served on the side. Despite potential long waits during busy times, the service is fast and accommodating.
Best ramen broth I have ever tasted. It was just the right amount of salt and umami. The veggie apps were also very delicious, the piri bamboo dish was a bit too spicy but not really an issue when I washed it down with a glass of yuzu lime sake. I also like that their menu offered smaller rice bowl options. I ordered the ikura bowl and it wasn’t enough to stuff me but just enough for a 10pm dinner before bed time. Staff were friendly and service was very efficient. We all got our food around the same time. We finished off with skewers of dango and it was made fresh, the dangos were very chewy and the side of azuki paste added a subtle sweetness to it. Can’t wait to come back again for the ramen!

Follow @bredgyeats on IG for more food posts! Spicy Chill Asian Ramen - An unbelievably refreshing bite of chilled ramen, that has soaked up a spicy and slightly tangy broth and no shortage of accoutrements as well. My only regret was getting the smaller size.

We had the black garlic and kara miso ramen. Both were delicious and had great depth in favour. I got a seasoned egg on the side since the kara miso doesn’t come with one.
Keshia G — Google review
Sorry Raijin, I just found my new no.1 Kimchi takoyaki was great, Kara miso ramen was fabulous give me 14 of them right now. Partner had the shio ramen, very mild taste, but nice creamy, good amount of oil texture
James ( — Google review
Another great spot for ramen in Toronto. The ramen is great and the service was also very good. Good for those looking for a tasty ramen and short on time. I ordered the shio ramen since I felt like a lighter soup on this day. The soup was light and creamy but very flavourful. Came with bamboo shoots, wood ear mushrooms, green onions, a slice of Naruto fish cake, pork cha shu, and one small red pickled plum. Perfect for lunch. The noodles were done just right and as you can see in one of the photos two types of peppers on the table. White pepper and shichimi pepper. One thing to note is the noodles served here are egg noodles which is not what most places serve. This location has been around for many years and was listed in the Michelin Guide back in 2017. Worth a visit when you are in the area which is just a short walk from the Eaton Centre.
Bob K — Google review
I’ve heard a lot about this place over the years and many people have told me that it’s their favourite place for ramen, so I decided to come take a visit for lunch. I’ve heard that their original (and perhaps the most popular) dish is the Tokusen Toroniku Ramen, which is ramen and pork jowl, but I was in the mood for some chilled tsukemen (soy sauce flavour). I didn’t like this dish. Firstly, there was so much MSG in the soup that I ended up drinking 4 glasses of water. Secondly, the pork smell was bad rather than aromatic; it made me glad that I didn’t order the pork jowl ramen. There also weren’t many meat / fat pieces in the soup, and the bowl was quite pricey. The cold ramen also made the dipping soup cold very quickly. Perhaps this issue is something rather recent, because the many of reviews I read on Google around the same month I went had the same complaints as me. Either way, I hope they improve.
Jennifer — Google review
Great service and yummy ramen! Came here with my family, I got the shoyu ramen and it was very tasty, the servers were very nice and the food arrived very quickly too! The shoyu had a nice chewy noodle taste and soup was pretty good. One thing I recommend is adding char siu pork which would’ve made the perfect dish. Seating is somewhat limited so it is recommend to reserve a spot.

The chef's recommended dish is the Signature Tonkotsu, known for its rich and creamy broth true to Hakata-style ramen.
The ramen here is solid, especially the soup base, which is packed with flavour. The line can get long, but it’s totally worth the wait. Prices are fair for the portion size, and service is quick with friendly staff. This was my second visit, and the taste has been consistently great. Just a heads-up: if you’re into spicy food, tread lightly with level 4. My husband, who snacks on chilis like nothing, was sweating and couldn’t finish…..it’s seriously intense!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Authentic Hakata Ramen That Hits the Spot! If you're craving rich, soul-warming tonkotsu ramen, Ikkousha Ramen is the real deal. Their signature Hakata-style ramen features creamy, collagen-rich broth that’s simmered for hours, every spoonful is packed with deep, porky umami. The thin noodles have the perfect chew, and the melt-in-your-mouth chashu pork is simply divine. If you don’t like thin noodles or you think the broth is too salty, you can definitely ask for thicker one and go for the less salty option! I customized mine with extra garlic meat and egg and vege, which took it to the next level. The soft-boiled ajitama egg was another highlight, gooey yolk perfection. The cozy counter seating adds to the authentic Japanese ramen-ya vibe. Service is efficient, and they’re serious about ramen, no frills, just bowls of pure comfort. One of the best ramen spots in town, I’ll be back for sure!

Today, I ordered the God Fire Ramen. Choice of 4 levels of heat and I chose level 3. Good choice since anything hotter meant not being able to taste anything else. For most looking for spice, I would suggest level one. The pork broth was really thick and tasty. The ramen came with two large slices of pork cha shu, green onions and a good amount of wood ear mushrooms. The thin straight noodles were firm and held the broth really well. Great selection of condiments as you can see in one of the photos. The ramen sauce is very salty with a touch of vinegar. The garlic is freshly chopped and the ginger is your typical red coloured ginger slices. The Takana pickles is a good addition when ordering one of the lighter tasting ramen bowls. I ordered some gyoza also. Very tasty but unfortunately too small for me. Order came with five pieces that were about half the size I am used to. Nice touch was some umeboshi (pickled plum) that added a good level of additional flavour to the gyoza. Service was good and very fast. If I was to choose between their chicken location only a few doors away, I would choose the chicken location. With that being said, I would have to go back again and try some of their other ramen selections to be sure. If you are in the area, either location is a good choice.

Simple, authentic and delicious ramen without any fuss. The service was quick and easy. The portion is great and there is an option to add more noodles. The gyoza is delicious and light, perfect little appetizer. Recommend adding all the pickled sides for more flavour

Amazing ramen!! Great broth and solid portion of food! Service is great and super friendly and attentive. Able to get in without reservation. Not a ton of pace for bigger groups but 4 or less people should be easy enough to snag a table or with minor waits.

One of the best reman in the city. This brand has two shop - one just serve chicken broth one just pork - what a smart idea. The pork one always supper busy with long lines and less lines in the chicken one but just as goood . I like their miso flavor , the black one is bit too rich for me but just show how real this place is on their broth it is so rich just have broth I will be full 😅😻

Tried Ikkousha Ramen in Toronto for the first time, and it was the best ramen I’ve had here! Rich, flavorful broth and perfectly cooked noodles—it tasted authentic, just like in Japan. The atmosphere was cozy, and the service was great. Highly recommend for real ramen lovers in the city!🍜
Green S — Google review
Ikkousha Ramen in Toronto is a standout spot for lovers of authentic Japanese ramen, especially if you’re craving rich, creamy tonkotsu broth. Originally hailing from Fukuoka, Japan, this popular chain brings a true taste of Hakata-style ramen to the city, and it delivers on all fronts—from flavor to atmosphere. The star of the menu is undoubtedly their classic tonkotsu ramen, known for its milky pork-bone broth that’s been simmered for hours. It’s bold, hearty, and deeply satisfying without feeling overwhelmingly heavy. The noodles are thin and firm, served al dente to hold up perfectly in the broth. You can customize the firmness of the noodles and the richness of the broth, which adds a nice personal touch to the experience. One of the highlights is the chashu pork—tender, flavorful, and marbled just right. The seasoned egg is perfectly soft-boiled, and toppings like wood ear mushrooms, garlic chips, and green onions add layers of texture and flavor. If you’re feeling adventurous, try their black garlic ramen or spicy “God Fire” version, which packs a punch without masking the complexity of the broth. The restaurant has a cozy, no-frills vibe typical of ramen shops in Japan. Service is quick and friendly, making it a great spot for a casual meal. Prices are reasonable given the quality, and portion sizes are generous. Overall, Ikkousha Ramen is a must-visit for any ramen enthusiast in Toronto. Whether you’re looking for comfort food on a cold day or a satisfying meal any time of year, this place delivers the real deal.

Midori Ramen is a Japanese restaurant run by chefs Masaru Ogasawara and Natsuhiko Sugimoto, offering a diverse selection of ramen dishes. Their menu includes the Signature Tori Paitan Ramen, Black Garlic Ramen, and Duck Shoyu Ramen, all made with either milky chicken broth or cauliflower-based vegetarian broth. The consistency of their food across different locations is commendable. Customers praise the flavorful broths and well-balanced sides.
I would give this place 4.5 stars. The service and atmosphere is great and it was really fun dining here. The food is good, you will enjoy it! But it is definitely not the best ramen around. If you want ramen and you are around, definitely go check the place.

Excellent Japanese ramen. Definitely one of the best in Richmond Hill and Markham area. The chicken breast is tender and the soup is so rich. The service and atmosphere are great. Highly recommended.

I went to Midori Ramen with my friend for lunch at 11:30. It was not very busy and the atmosphere was very nice, cozy, and the music was bearable. I also liked that you had a view of the kitchen. The service left a lot to be desired. The waitress was nice, but she only came around ONCE to refill our water and that is when I asked her to. On top of this, my food came before my friend's. The food was okay, a bit bland but overall I liked it. The portions were also nice for what I paid. Overall, pretty middle of the road restaurant.

Visited this ramen place — they serve real, authentic ramen. The broth is rich and flavorful, really well made. The interior is clean, bright, and pleasant — definitely better than many other places. Service was great too, with a friendly and polite Japanese girl. Overall, a positive experience and worth coming back.

This is a ramen place so I get it but we were craving some Gyudon and they offer it here. The flavours weren't bad and the presentation was very well done but they definitely lacked enough umami, the egg was not hot, and the dish had too much liquid. The waitress recommended trying the Gyudon ramen instead next time which they will make with rice instead of noodles for those who are gluten sensitive. The Scarborough location has gluten-free noodles available, but not this location yet unfortunately.

This place truly lives up to the hype! I had the Tori Buta ramen, it was absolutely delicious. The broth was very rich and flavorful, the spring egg was very jammy, and the chashu was very soft & tender & delicious! Also, I love how they let you choose the style and thickness of noodles that you want and the doneness. One of the best ramen I ever had! I highly recommend trying this place.

Good service, restaurant was a bit hot but the fans kept it moderate. Some issues with the food were quickly resolved. Overall good food and service.

I visited this shop twice and I am very satisfied with both experience. Food: I love their chicken broth, very flavorful and creamy but not greasy. I drank all soup and even wanted more, but too bad that it cost $7 for extra soup (I guess they will give you another whole bowl of soup, not just 1-2 cups) I also liked that they have both chicken and Chashu for the toppings, so I don’t have to struggle in choosing and can enjoy both. I also tried their Almond Tofu, love it 🥰 Service: Staffs are very nice, friendly and attentive. They carry their smile all the time and happy to help. Atmosphere: place is nice, not very big, so it’s a bit close to next table when it’s full house; but they are having patio now. I love sitting by the window where the landscape model is. It just makes me feel some sort of relaxed.

Authentic Japanese restaurant
Ramen RAIJIN is a casual Japanese restaurant with a wood ceiling and an open kitchen in the middle, providing a front-row seat to the ramen action. The menu offers various broths like Tonkotsu and Torigara, catering to different preferences. The name 'Raijin' refers to the god of lightning, thunder, and storms in Japanese mythology. It's a popular spot among Toronto locals for its comforting bowls of ramen.
This place is a hidden Gem! While staying at the Four seasons we took a 15 minute walk to this place. I’m glad we took the time because it’s the best Ramen we have ever had! The service is excellent and the atmosphere is friendly and chill! Flavors are on point! The whole time we were there it was nonstop busy so I would recommend reservations if you don’t want to wait too long.

Very authentic like Japanese ramen in a tucked in corner of Toronto! The service is lovely as they greet you right from entry and serve quicky (we were served within 10m of sitting/ordering) but the place can get quite crowded with lineups so I reccomend booking a reservation if possible! Most tables seat 2-4 but there is a large centre table that seats mixed parties (or 1 big one). This is my go to ramen place in Toronto. The appetizers are a bit small but the ramen bowls (one size) are more than enough. I also enjoy their unique drinks (I have had the yuzu highball and calpico high). Would highly recommend!

The staff warmly greets and says goodbye as a team, which creates such a nice atmosphere. The ramen portions are very hearty and filling. I also love that they sell frozen ramen to enjoy at home – such a great idea! Everything was excellent.

Best ramen I’ve had in the city so far. They accommodated my friends request for chicken instead of pork, delicious karaage too. Had about a 15-20 min for 2/230 on a Saturday but you sign up for texts, which is appreciated.

The food was really good, and the portions were huge. I was super full after. The broth had a lot of flavour and a nice kick of spice. If it’s not spicy enough for you, you can ask for extra chili powder or black pepper, which is nice. The pork was tender, and everything was well-balanced. I also had the karaage, which was crispy and juicy. The takowasabi was honestly amazing. Definitely recommend that. The space is a bit tight, and it can get pretty loud, but we were lucky to get a corner booth so it felt a bit more private. They also have a big shared table in the middle. Overall, really good experience. I’d go back for sure.

The only thing I liked was the food, the servers were RUDDDDE, they were giving me dirty looks all the time, (expect one guy who was nice), I have heard this from my other friends as well, that servers treats you based on how you look, but never believed until I experienced it myself. the food is great, thanks chef, but maybe someone talk to servers into being respectful with everyone not only the people they like!

Yeah if you come around the area and say well which ramen place should I visit, I would say this in definitely a great choice, though it’s not apparent if you come from the UofT direction, but yeah, the service here is amazing, and the staff are very kind. Now here is about the food here, and what I ordered: Yuzu Soda (surprisingly a good deal for a place like this, which in other places might even be more expensive) Takoyaki for appetizer And main course: I ordered Gyokai Shouyu Tsukemen, which I personally prefer Tsukemen but you can also order the more popular ramen type. And it was a great one, and the broth was rich and flavourful and even had some And I finished with this Hojicha Pudding, which is also a good addition. And the service is fast, and I really feel like this is a place to visit.

Musoshin Ramen is a relatively new addition to Toronto's ramen scene, quickly gaining a reputation for its high-quality food. The restaurant offers a minimalist setting and serves up vegan vegetable-based ramen broth that is light yet rich in flavor. Their in-house made noodles and fresh ingredients add to the appeal of their dishes. Despite some comments about wait times and service, many visitors have found the food to be delicious, making it a worthwhile dining experience overall.
This Ramen place is small but its amazing. We ate the Special Musoshi Ramen and it was the best ramen I have eaten! It has flavour, it wasnt light but it wasnt overbearing either. The chashu, beef and the karaage were cooked well and the noodles werent soggy like many other Ramens I have tried, being personally perfect how I like them. The portion was good, I personally would ask for extra noodles. The service was good as well, helpful and friendly. I highly recommend it, a bit pricey but with reason, being totally worth it for the food! I will come back in the near future for sure to eat.

First time here. I am a meat lover but today, I had to try their vegan ramen. The image I saw online before going said Eat Me! I enjoy meat but do love veggies and fruit too. Unless it is a salad, I have a hard time with dishes that have no meat. I was impressed with the Kyoto white miso vegan ramen. Creating a dish with rich umami flavour is difficult when no meat or seafood is involved. Musoshin was able to capture some great umami with their vegan ramen. Topped with carrots, lotus root, spinach, yellow and orange pepper, egg plant, and okra was a really treat. Having the shichimi red pepper mix on the table was a pleasant surprise too. For you real meat lovers, this ramen may not be your cup of tea but I certainly enjoyed it. For you meat lovers, I would recommend their Special Musoshin Ramen. It has beef, pork, chicken, and egg. I will try this next time and it also looks really delicious. If you are in the area or are willing to drive, it’s worth the drive to Musoshin. Easy access via TTC too. Just a short walk from Dundas West Station. Went back on August 21, 2025. Had the Yaki soba and chicken Karaage. The yaki soba had pork, age, cabbage, and some lotus root. Bonito flakes, red pickled ginger and sliced dried seaweed. Very tasty. The chicken karaage was very crispy juicy. I wish the flavour was stronger though. It was too mild for me. Overall still enjoyed my lunch. The yaki soba is more like an appetizer size so for those used to having a regular bowl of ramen will find the portion very small.

Tasty ramen with a thicker broth which u didn’t find as hearty as I would like. The noodles were good and I liked how they torched all the meats before adding it into your bowl. It gives it that added flavor.

This is the best ramen in the city hands down. So authentic and rich but not too heavy. Meat is done perfectly. Chicken is divine. Be prepared to wait a little but don’t be scared of waiting cuz it’s worth it!

My daughter and I absolutely loved our experience at Musoshin Ramen here. We both ordered different types of ramen, and every bite was full of rich flavor and depth. The noodles were fresh and perfectly chewy, the broth was incredibly well-balanced. You can really taste the quality and love in their food. If you’re looking for authentic Japanese ramen, Musoshin Ramen is a must-visit. Highly recommended!

Very peculiar taste unlike other ramen places. Noodles are fresh and you can definitely feel it’s homemade Few vegan options but rest are pork based. Not much options for chicken, none I would say.

This was my first time ever trying authentic ramen and oh boy it was chef’s kiss, I got the special ramen with a side of takoyaki and my partner got the ajitama musoshin ramen and let me tell you the flavours were amazing, I can’t decide if the fried chicken or the pork belly was the best part of my bowl. I loved every sip of it I would definitely come back!

Cozy restaurant and kind staff. I do believe they were quite understaffed given the traffic. There are no chicken-based broth options. There are only vegan options or pork-based. Overall, good food.

Kenzo Ramen Spadina is a vibrant ramen spot that truly captures the essence of Japanese cuisine. This Toronto-based eatery specializes in crafting house-made noodles and sauces, complemented by a rich broth that simmers for an impressive 24 hours. Drawing inspiration from various regional styles of ramen, Kenzo offers uniquely thin noodles paired with a flavorful pork-chicken-seafood broth and expertly fermented sauces.
Dined here on New Year’s eve which was super cold and rainy and this warmed us right up. I’ve always been a big fan of Kenzo’s and I’m glad that this location was consistent with the others I’ve been to. Ramen is flavourful and is a good portion size. Shio is a salt-based broth but not salty, just has a nice umami. King of kings ramen is a very big portion and the spice in the soup warms the belly. I’m a fan of the noodle texture here as it’s not too overcooked and I like that they serve bamboo in the ramen as most places don’t do that anymore. We also ordered the pork katsu on the side which was very crispy and not dry at all. The portion for this was also quite generous.
Alexandria L — Google review
The food was absolutely delicious — no complaints at all. The staff was incredibly kind and attentive, which made us feel very welcome. The only reason I’m not giving a higher rating is because the place gets extremely hot in the summer. It really felt like an oven inside. I’d strongly recommend investing in air conditioning to make the overall customer experience much more comfortable and enjoyable
Maria F — Google review
One of the best fresh ramen dishes I’ve tasted in Toronto so far! It’s rich, and the taste is unique to Kenzo’s restaurants. The staff is super friendly and helpful, and the order arrived at the table in no time. The only downside is that it’s a small space, and there’s sometimes a wait to sit down.

Perfect dish on such a cold night. I got the spicy ramen but the creamy miso ramen was out of this world. Also appreciate that the pork had a smoky taste to it, almost like it was bbqd first. We also had the tofu appetizer and it was also delish

I go into Kenzo pretty often, I love it. The food is so good as is the bubble tea. I love the energy put into everything they make and the ability to customize. Highly recommend the macaroons - pandan coconut is my fave. It’s also really reasonable. As if the food wasn’t good enough all the staff are super friendly. I am always greeted with genuine smiles and assistance. Big shout of to Pemma. She always goes above and beyond. Worth checking it out for sure!

We came to Kenzo Ramen at around mid afternoon on a weekday with no expectations. We were surprised about the fantastic options in the menu. I personally tried the Tonkotsu King and I loved it. However I think the balance of the noodles and everything else is uneven, there was way too many noodles. Regardless I still enjoyed the meal, and will probably try something else to see if the portioning of the other ramens are better. I'm only rating this as 4/5 because the it wasn't a busy time but the server forgot our other order, and we were in a time crunch.

After our favourite ramen spot closed this year, we're so glad to have come across this shoppe! The food was flavourful and very satisfying, and the portions were generous. Touhenboku Ramen is a popular spot in Toronto known for its rich and creamy broth made from slow-cooked chicken. The Black Garlic Ramen is a favorite, and the Spicy Wings are recommended for those who can handle the heat. With locations in Queen West, Midtown Toronto, and Richmond Hill, Touhenboku offers an open kitchen where you can watch noodles being made in-house without preservatives.
Great broth and ramen. We had the spicy ramen special with free gyoza which is amazing deal. The duck ramen is very good and you can actually taste duck flavour in soup. The only downside I have is the place is small and crowded. If you want a place to chat and sit comfortably without feeling pressure to leave by the wait line then this place may not be the best option. food is amazing

Good bang for your buck. The food is great and flavourful and came with free takoyaki when we went. The rice bowls are great too. The space is a little small, more suited for a casual meal. Anything spicy won't be actually that spicy, so maybe ask for hot sauce if that's what you're into.

I didn’t even think I was much of a ramen person until I tried their ramen. It was really flavourful and delicious. My friends brought home their leftovers and told me that the ramen still tasted amazing even after re-heating it. The service was great, as the waitress was really patient and meticulous about checking the menu items for my peanut allergies.

We were walking in the cold with snow falling around us, absolutely freezing, and suddenly had a craving for something warm and comforting ramen. Stopped by Touhenboku, and it was exactly what we needed. Ordered the Spicy Creamy Mushroom Ramen with spice on the side, and it was fantastic. The broth was rich, velvety, and packed with umami, perfect for warming up after being out in the cold. You can get it as a vegetarian option, but I highly recommend adding the egg—it takes the whole experience up a notch. Service was quick, and the atmosphere was cozy and an ideal spot to escape the winter chill. Definitely coming back!

Omg! If you are a ramen lover like me and quite picky - this is the only place outside of Japan where I've really liked ramen. The broth, noodles, egg, and pork - excellent! Both my partner and I had pork-based broth - he had spicy ramen and I had kimchi. It was fantastic. Sorry the picture wasn't taken before I started eating - after eating I realized how incredibly delicious it was.

I like the spicy and sour cold ramen here. I strongly recommend adding it to the main menu, instead of only eating it in summer. It would be better if the noodles could be a little more.
Sijia Z — Google review
Touhenboku Ramen in Toronto really hits the spot when you’re craving a rich, hearty bowl of ramen. I had the tonkotsu broth — it was creamy, full-bodied, and deeply savory without feeling too heavy. You can tell the broth has been carefully simmered for hours to build that depth of flavor. The noodles had a nice firmness, with just the right chew, and the chashu pork was tender and well-marbled. The egg was perfectly soft-boiled, with a creamy yolk that added extra richness to each bite. What I appreciate most is the balance: every element of the bowl felt intentional, nothing out of place. It’s the kind of ramen that feels both comforting and well-crafted. Definitely a place I’d recommend if you’re serious about good ramen in Toronto.

Kyouka Ramen is a renowned ramen spot with only two locations worldwide, one of which is in Tokyo. The restaurant offers authentic and top-notch ramen with flavorful stocks made fresh daily. There are various vegetarian options available, including a new summer dish featuring blackened eggplant salad. Head Chef Kenji brings his expertise from Japan, where he trained under the founder and pioneer of Kyouka Ramen.
Absolutely fantastic experience! The ramen broth was incredibly rich and flavorful, with perfectly cooked noodles and toppings that melted in your mouth. The karaage was crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and paired beautifully with the creamy dipping sauce. The rice bowl was packed with savory and spicy flavors that balanced perfectly. The attention to detail in every dish made this place stand out. Definitely coming back!

Delicious bowls of ramen, and not too salty. Satisfying amount of food, you won't leave hungry. The noodles have a great chewy texture and the pork broth is a bit spicy but in a good way. Nice little restaurant with cute decor and very friendly service.

Such a delightful experience. Food and service were both excellent! We tried the house and shio ramen and it was amazing! All of the ramen toppings were really good but the pork chashu topping was the best I’ve ever had. Karaage was very well seasoned and tendon donburi was awesome too. Will visit again to try the miso ramen!
Julia K — Google review
Staff is friendly and soft spoken but wasn’t great at making recommendations. Went with the veggie Yuzu ramen which was decent but quite fatty broth, not sure I’d order again. Others in the group enjoyed the house ramen. Mainly bar seating with a few tables at the front, not ideal for large parties.
Angie H — Google review
I came in for the lunch special and had the kyouka donburi with the kyouka house ramen. The grilled pork in the donburi was very well-seasoned and was complimented by the hot bed of rice. The house ramen tasted very authentic and included two of the largest slices of pork I've ever gotten in a restaurant ramen. The noodles were the star of the show; perfect cook and texture. The staff was also very attentive and made sure I had everything I needed. I would definitely come back for more donburi and to try another type of ramen.
Lynn D — Google review
This ramen spot is great and offers unique flavor combination, although, it doesn't really fit my personal taste profile. I really appreciate the portion size, which is very filling. The texture of the noodle is also good and the toppings are well season. The service was amazing, friendly and efficient staff members. I am looking forward to give this place another try and revised my review in the future.
Ryan M — Google review
I visited Kyouka Ramen after a long break and was pleased to see that the restaurant has maintained its commitment to quality food. From the outside, the restaurant is easy to spot with its striking red, black, and white signage. The red walls, plants, and hanging vases create a cohesive look that draws attention, even if you're just passing by. Inside, the predominantly black decor seems designed to allow the food, served in white bowls, to take centre stage. However, the seating and tables are on the smaller side, giving the restaurant a tight, somewhat cramped feel. The menus were also a bit challenging to read, as they were printed in fine text with no pictures or numbers to differentiate the items. Here's what I ordered: Dipping Tsukemen: The dipping ramen was a highlight of the meal. Served in two bowls, the large bowl held a generous portion of noodles, along with three thick slices of chicken chashu and a halved soft-boiled egg. Although chilli paste was technically a $1 add-on, it was offered for free during our visit. The small bowl contained a rich, thick soup with a layer of fat on top, perfect for dipping the noodles and toppings. I appreciated that the soup wasn’t overly salty, yet still packed a robust flavour. The blend of pork broth into the chicken broth seemed to be crafted to appeal to a wider audience. However, the chicken chashu, while plentiful, was a bit dry. Since it wasn’t already immersed in broth, the slices were cold and dry, needing a soak in the soup before I could enjoy them. Kyouka Donburi: As a lunch option, I could add a donburi of any size to a ramen for $2 less. Although the menu indicated this deal was only for weekdays, the server kindly allowed me to order it on a Saturday. The donburi featured a healthy serving of pork chashu pieces and veggies on top of perfectly steamed white rice. The portion was generous, big enough to be a small meal on its own. Boneless Karaage: I had mixed feelings about the boneless deep-fried chicken. While the chicken was definitely juicy, it lacked the expected crispiness. The accompanying sauce didn’t particularly stand out either. Service was adequate, though our server didn’t check in on us much. The restaurant was clean and well-maintained. Overall, I had a good experience at Kyouka Ramen. The restaurant continues to deliver high-quality ramen, despite a few minor disappointments, such as the dry chicken chashu and lackluster karaage. Considering the overall value, I might revisit if I’m in the area to try their other dishes.

Tried Kyouka Ramen and was seriously impressed! I had the Shoyu Ramen with double toppings, their Karaage, and the Kyouka Paitan Apple Miso Ramen. The broths were rich and flavorful, especially the miso—it had a unique, slightly sweet twist that worked really well. Toppings were generous and high quality, and the karaage was crispy and juicy. Service was fantastic—super friendly and welcoming staff. Definitely a must-visit spot for ramen lovers in the Beaches!

Restaurant
Ajisen Ramen, located in Chinatown, is a popular Japanese chain known for its delectable pork broth and a wide range of soups and rice dishes. With nearly 45 varieties of ramen to choose from, including unique options like kimchi BBQ pork ramen and tomato filet mignon ramen, this casual eatery has something for every palate.
On a rainy Wednesday this week, my family and I decided to enjoy a late lunch at Ajisen Ramen on Spadina Ave. Although it was my first time dining there, my daughter had visited a few times before and had only good things to say about it. I decided to try the kaarage original, and it truly exceeded my expectations in terms of taste.

The generous portion of soup and 4 pieces of kaarage chicken were perfect for sharing with my daughter and partner. The authentic flavors and excellent customer service provided by Restaurant Manager K.K. and their server made our dining experience truly enjoyable. I have now found a go-to spot for delicious ramen and plan to return soon with my family for another quick lunch or dinner.

I highly recommend Ajisen Ramen to anyone looking for a satisfying meal with great service. Thank you, KK, for making our visit memorable!

Haven’t been here in a while, but happy to say nothing has changed, the food is still delicious! For appetizers, we ordered the ebi fry shrimp tempura, takoyaki, and filet mignon. The takoyaki was great, and the shrimp tempura was crispy and tasty. The filet mignon side dish, however, was a bit disappointing. It definitely lives up to its name of being “cute” and tiny. For the price, I wouldn’t recommend it since it was basically a hot plate of bean sprouts with 5-6 TEENY TINY pieces of meat. For my main course, I ordered the karaage original (pictured) and the Ajisen original. Both were flavorful and comforting. Overall, I’d definitely come back, especially for the ramen and takoyaki!

Delicious! 😋 worth the trip for these tasty noodles. I got the spicy beef and spicy chicken. Why choose? 🔥 Hot, fast, filling and full of fresh ingredients in every yummy spoonful. Enjoy❤️ I approve 😉

It was a quiet afternoon and we really wanted something warming and found this cute Ramen shop. We chose two pork tonkosto dishes with different toppings. The thin sliced pork was very good but the stars of the meal were the bbq ribs. Definitely check this spot out when going to Chinatown

Huge huge portions! We got the black garlic filet mignon ($19) and the tomyum ribeye steak combo ($20). Very worth it, super full. Waitress was nice, free tea and water, and zero wait. Atmosphere was very Japanese.

An Unforgettable Ramen Experience! Absolutely phenomenal. This ramen spot is in a league of its own. The depth of flavor in the broth is simply mind-blowing — rich, complex, and perfectly balanced. You can tell every ingredient is chosen with purpose. The noodles have that perfect bite, and the toppings… each one adds a new layer of taste and texture. It's a symphony of flavors — bold yet refined, comforting yet sophisticated. The textures are just as impressive: silky, crunchy, tender — it’s a masterclass in contrast and harmony. Every element on the plate is deliberate and beautifully executed. And the service? Lightning fast, flawlessly efficient, and genuinely kind. The team works like clockwork, with smiles and attention to detail that make you feel truly welcome. This isn’t just a meal — it’s an experience. If you love ramen (or even if you think you don’t), this place will redefine your expectations. An absolute must-visit.

Ramen Misoya is a popular Japanese restaurant chain with over 100 locations in Japan, and recently opened a new branch on Queen West. The focus here is on miso-based dishes that are packed with flavor and sure to leave you craving for more. While some customers have found the food court location at CIBC Square Table to be slightly lacking compared to the standalone restaurants, others appreciate the variety of options available, including rice dishes, vegetarian choices, and different protein toppings at various price points.
This place is one of the eateries located in the CIBC building in downtown Toronto. We went on a Friday afternoon and it was a very light day with plenty of seats and no lineup to order food. I’m pretty sure things are definitely different on other weekdays. I ordered the Miso Tonkatsu Ramen with 3 pieces of Chashu Pork. The broth was flavorful, the pork and noodles cooked to perfection. It’s not cheap but it’s worth the price.

Pros: Service & Atmosphere ✨ The service was excellent—quick and friendly, with our food arriving in less than 10 minutes. Cons: Food 🍜 For $25-$35 a person, the ramen was pretty mediocre. My sister and I each got a bowl, plus shrimp tempura and takoyaki as sides. I was expecting more for that price, but my bowl had just a few bits of ground pork and half a boiled egg. The broth was salty and oily, but the noodles were chewy, which I like. The takoyaki had a nice crispy outside and was heavily garnished, but the inside was mostly just dough. The tempura was basic. We left feeling full but unsatisfied. Overall, it didn’t quite meet our expectations, especially given that there are better and cheaper ramen options nearby.
Irish C — Google review
Generous portion of bouncy noodles and toppings but made the bowl a little too dense. Broth was decent and not too salty but could’ve been hotter. The chashu was the toughest piece of pork I’ve ever had in a bowl of ramen. Sadly not upto par with other locations. For $21 it’s definitely more on the pricier side and unfortunately not worth it.

This restaurant is literally in such a hidden gem of a location in the heart of downtown Toronto. Whenever I meet my husband here for lunch there are plenty of aesthetic spots to sit. This bowl was large enough for the two of us. We were able to get some snacks since there were other restaurants as it’s a higher-end food court type of atmosphere. Overall, always a good time coming here.

i’m in love with ramen misoya’s tantan ramen!! if i could have an endless tap of this broth i would. it’s so flavourful and savoury that my partner and i went from our original plan of sharing one ramen to ordering a second. we purposely stopped over in toronto to get my fix of this and i am so so happy and satisfied. karaage is also bomb with a delicious miso mayo 😍

This is located inside the CIBC square Table food court. Take the elevator in order to access this food court. My friend and I got the spicy beef ramen. The portion was large enough for two of us to share and the price was reasonable for the size. The taste was okay, not as much as I like. I appreciate that they have a lot of options, including rice dishes with different toppings, vegetarian options, and different protein choices at different price ranges. Some of their deluxe ramens are very large and can be shared among two people. There is limited bar seating at this stall but there is a lot of room in the food court where you can eat. The person who served me was very kind and polite and gave us an extra set of bowl and chopsticks.

Ryus Noodle Bar is a relaxed Japanese eatery known for its bright and simple decor, specializing in noodle soups with a signature broth. After relocating due to a fire, the new Broadview location near the Danforth has become a popular spot for delicious noodle dishes. Their success even led to an invitation to set up a food stall inside a ramen museum in Japan.
One of the best Ramen I have ever tried in Toronto. We got the spicy ramen and melon cream soda. Melon cream soda just tastes like it comes from Japan. The spicy miso ramen has a rich broth with spicy oil (tastes so good) and the tofu topping adds another flavour on the ramen makes you cannot stop eating it. The ramen style here is also different from other stores - highly recommended if drop by. Service is good, store is clean, one of the must try ramen stores in Toronto.

Been coming to Ryus ever since their old Baldwin location where I tried the pork blaster based on a friend's recommendation. Ever since then, any other ramen just doesn't hit the same. However, the chasiu today tasted different, it wasn't as melt-in-your-mouth as always and was a bit tough. Overall, still good though.

I tried the Takoyaki and it was absolutely amazing! The outside was crispy while the inside was soft and filled with fresh octopus flavor. Topped with rich sauce, creamy mayo, and dancing bonito flakes, it had an authentic Japanese taste. Momofuku Noodle Bar, a trendy NYC import located in a modern glass-cube space, is renowned for its delectable ramen and steamed buns. The menu also features classic ginger scallion noodles with katsu pork over pickled mushroom, cucumber, and cabbage. The shrimp buns are a delightful starter option, topped with spicy mayo, pickled onion, and crunchy iceberg.
The food at Momofuku Stackt is amazing!! They switch up the menu every now and then but the pork bun is always around. Recently, I’ve been a couple of times to this pop-up and the quality is consistent. It’s like tapa style so the bun is a piece per order, the spring rolls is two piece per order. Make sure you ask before you place an order to avoid disappointment. The bill definitely adds up if you add alcohol to it as it’s not cheap! Sit at the patio where there is some kind of shade otherwise you’ll burn and get dehydrated after sitting for half an hour. Staff here is also friendly and quick to their feet! Appreciate the waiter who kept filling our cups with water given it was a very hot day.

The food was good but a little underwhelming from what I've heard about the resturant. But it was still very good. I didn't like the rice cakes because they had a sour flavor, but other people in my group did. The noodles were good but not as good as I expected. The pork noodles were better then the chicken ones also!! Though the pork buns were really good and I would definitely recommend it. The servers were great and the atmosphere was nice.
Cyrus P — Google review
What a food! What a vibe! What a service! And my best joy was to seat upstairs and watch the kitchen. The buns are two bite size but the balance of the tastes and the softness of a bun itself worth it! The pork soup is thick and rich in flavors, the spicy chicken noodles are not so spicy so give it a try. The only one I was maybe skipping is the chocolate ice-cream. Just nothing special about it.
Vladimir S — Google review
Service was nice and friendly and the hostess made the effort to seat us even though we didn't have reservation. The ambiance and set up of the location is nice, so with that respect I give it 4-1/2 ⭐️ out of 5. As for the food, the quality was of noodles in the ramen was quite nice, good texture. Broth was a bit heavy, over powering in some respect. The steamed buns were fresh and soft, the pork belly was the only one that stood out for me. Portion wise could've been bigger for that price. And as nice as the soft serve ice cream was, it was served very sloppy, all melted messy. But the chocolate was rich and creamy while the yuzu soft serve was refreshing but again so sloppy and and presentation was disappointing, inconsistent in portion size. At $7 an ice cream, it shouldn't look like it's coming out of a run down McD ice cream machine.

We've been meaning to go for years and finally made it happen. What a great experience! The food was excellent. From the steam buns (omg - the Pork Belly Bun!) to the ramen to the mazemen and everything in between - absolutely delicious!! You also have to try the Red Dragon Rice Cakes from the Etc. menu - like a beautiful gnocchi with a crisp outside, and the bibim sauce - damn. Service was excellent - Peter was awesome and very helpful. I highly recommend reservations.

Lunch. One last time. I’ve been a regular of Momofuku over the years and when I read the news that they will be closing their doors permanently on December 23rd, I had visit this place one last time. In my opinion, this place offers the best Ramen and noodles in the city. The pork and shrimp buns are a great appetizer and a shared soft ice cream from Christina Tosi’s Milk Bar is a great way to finish off the meal. The place does not have the bustling vibe that it once had however, the quality of the food is great, the prices are reasonable, Post COVID conditions and the service was both friendly and efficient. I’m going to miss this place. Well worth a visit before they close.

Very good service our waiter was named Peter. Food came out quickly. The yuzu lemonade was tasty, kinda pine needle flavoured. I got the Szechuan pepper noodles, more Italian flavoured than Asian. But still good, reminded my of a carbonara. The price wasn’t too bad it is located in a touristy are. If you’re planning on going, come soon because they’re closing permanently in December.

Kingyo Fisherman's Market is an informal and contemporary Japanese izakaya located in Toronto. It was started by a former Guu and Kingyo cook as a pop-up but now has a permanent home in a former Portuguese sports bar. The menu features small plates created by chef Koji Zenimaru, including standout dishes like sticky wings, corn fritters, beef tataki, and grilled squid tentacle.
5/5. Loved every dish we tried, fish was fresh, everything was tasty although it is on the pricier end. The ambiance was better than expected. Seating was comfortable and spacious, and really liked the “convenience store” they have inside the store. While waiting for food we were able to browse to pass the time and check out the goods. Overall worth a stop if you’re nearby! Will be back.

Kingyo is my family’s go-to place for a casual special meal with Grandma and my kids. It’s so good and there’s so much variety. We’ve had many birthdays and Mother’s Days here. There is a nice variety of authentic Japanese food, and the decor is fun with pachinko machines in the brick wall. Service is good as well. This visit, we had a kids’ platter, ramen, grilled fish, sizzling agedashi tofu with enoki mushrooms, Salmon Lover, Unagi ikura bara chirashi. After eating, we enjoy browsing the market with curated Japanese treats and Japanese Canadian drinks and food. It can get really busy, so reservations are recommended.

Kingyo Fisherman’s Market is a vibrant and popular Japanese restaurant in Toronto, particularly known for its fresh seafood and izakaya-style dishes. It's a great spot for those who love high-quality, flavorful Japanese food with a bit of a modern twist. The ambiance and food quality here have earned it a solid reputation. The food here is really where Kingyo shines. The menu is packed with an exciting range of Japanese dishes, with a heavy focus on seafood, but also a variety of options for non-seafood lovers. If you love fresh, high-quality Japanese seafood and a lively, vibrant dining experience, Kingyo Fisherman’s Market is an excellent choice. It’s perfect for a night out with friends or a date if you’re looking for something a little more dynamic and fun. The food is consistently praised for its freshness and creativity, while the ambiance keeps things exciting!

Kingyo Izakaya in Toronto is a place that always buzzes with energy, and for good reason—it’s lovely and consistently very busy, creating a great atmosphere. I particularly enjoyed the unique touch of having a small store inside that sells a variety of Japanese goods, letting you pick up some favorites while you're there. The staff were really nice and contributed to a pleasant dining experience. My feelings about the food, however, are a little mixed. One dish was absolutely spectacular: the torched salmon sushi. It was truly out of this world—a must-try that I would recommend without a moment's doubt. On the flip side, the don karaage did not meet the mark. I found it to be sub-par. The chicken itself was bland, and I was definitely not a fan of the accompanying radish puree. It was a disappointing bite, especially compared to the amazing sushi. Overall, while there's a definite hit-or-miss aspect to the menu based on my experience, the fantastic ambiance and the sheer brilliance of that torched salmon make it worth a visit. Just maybe steer clear of the don karaage!

The food is excellent - in appearance, quality and taste! Highly highly recommend to anyone looking for some great ramen (or other great Japanese food)!
Daniel B — Google review
I still clearly remember my first visit to Jinya a few years ago when it was new - I hated it. The menu laid out their philosophy in ramen, and I remember that they said the most important thing for ramen is the broth. The broth in the ramen I ordered was very oily and underwhelming in taste, and I stayed away ever since. Come Sep 2017, I was invited to try out their revamped menu. My group ordered one of each of their new ramen - the sukiyaki Q; Spicy creamy vegan, and the Kara-Men. We absolutely loved all of them! The broth is now much more clean tasting, not oily, and the flavour is good. I am a big meat-lover and would have never ordered a vegan ramen, but that veggie broth tasted fantastic. The Sukiyaki Q ramen tasted good, with my only complaint being wanting more meat (the beef slices are thin, like in Sukiyaki, but I want more meat!!). The kara-men is the most flavourful of the lot and I loved the look of the onsen egg on top. We also had some appetizers beforehand, with my favourite being their Jinya bun - a flavourful steamed bun with a thick slice of tender braised pork chashu. It definitely rivalled by usual go-to at Bahn-Mi boys! The deep fried brussels sprouts were interesting as well and I liked having it. The only disappointing part of our meal was the mochi dessert, which have green tea ice cream inside. The taste is a bit weird for us as it was somewhat "floral" and not like the green tea ice cream we are used to. Wish there was another flavour we could have tried. Overall, I am super-pleased with the change in taste and in the new items at Jinya. I would definitely come back again. Check out @instantonium on Instagram for more great eats

Update March/2018: Lunch with a friend. His first time and he keeps on and on about how great the food tastes. And he's right. From appetizers to main course to dessert while the service is on point and friendly. One year in and they haven't lost their way. Church Street or Carlton Street, depending on your view of the front angled door which faces either, has finally a restaurant worth going to for the food. I don't particularly frequent establishments that scream at me when I enter or leave but this is Japanese Ramen. Having replaced a breakfast Diner two brothers couldn't keep afloat...more than one queasy stomach made its way out of those doors...the Jinya chain is a welcome addition to the neighbourhood. Opening day 11:30 AM on a Monday. I grab a table by the window opposite the kitchen. It lets me snoop on what's going on at the back. The place fills quickly with students, office types and like me, the famished. The staff keep up with the demand both front and back. Of course Management is visibly present for this important occasion. All hands on deck! The food is delicious and the portions are respectable from vegetable tempura, octopus balls, chicken Ramen, green tea & black sesame ice cream right down to the actual green tea. Although the latter is bagged and not loose leaf. Even the serviettes carry the company emblem, a nice touch. If you're into pork or chicken, you've hit the mother load but oh what I'd give for a seafood version with shrimp, scallops and such bathing in their aromatic broth...sigh. Good thing Pho 88 isn't far and yes, I know it's Vietnamese. And the kitchen? Organised, clean chaos. Looking forward to my next meal.

Fricken delicious. The noodles were perfect al dente, hot and perfect for slurping. Great smooth broth and excellent customer services..though they all yelled at me when I entered and left. I can't wait to have a reason to go back. I just didn't like the accoutrement with my pork sandwich.
Greg K — Google review
Ramen is so good on a cold winter night! First snowstorm of the year in Toronto and ramen was at the top of our list to give us a reason to venture out in the cold to satisfy our tummies! And of course, the place was packed as many people had the same idea 😅 But luckily, we didn't have to wait too long and got seated within 15 minutes. We each chose something different and I got to taste the soup base for each; my recommendation : get the Tonkotsu Spicy if you can handle it. The broth was full of flavour and the spice hits your tongue a few seconds after you eat it. I have to say though, each of the broths were full of flavour so you can't really go wrong with any of the ramens here. Best value for money would be the Cha Cha Cha as the bowl was filled to the rim with soup and ingredients! The combo was a nice add on for $5.50. I loved the crispy chicken as the pieces of chicken were thick and fresh. An alternative that I would choose next time though is to get this as a small plate as you get 5 pieces instead of 3 (and less the salad) for just a bit more than what you would pay for the combo. 1 star deducted for the salt level of all of these dishes as it was extremely salty - even for the crispy chicken. A bit less salt would have gotten me to add a kaedama to finish each drop of that soup!
Brian L — Google review
The ramen here is one of the best downtown. I’ve tried many ramen restaurants and this one is very good, judging by the broth and noodle quality. For as good as it is, it was not worth $22 for me. After adding all the extra toppings, I realized that it was a lot more expensive than it should be. Slightly overpriced, but it was worth the experience I guess. It was super busy when we arrived, but service was still really good and staff were friendly as well.

Konjiki Ramen is a highly acclaimed ramen joint located in Downtown Toronto. The menu focuses on traditional methods but with unique flavours and ingredients, like truffle and porcini mushroom oils, or clams, wagyu and lobster. The soup is served in an intimate narrow space, perfect for catching up with friends.
The Spicy Red Tonkotsu Ramen was delicious! There were layers of flavour from the creamy broth to the spice from the ground pork and chili oil. I think I should've mixed it a little better because by the time I got to the bottom of the bowl, the spiciness was a lot stronger than anticipated. The egg was perfectly cooked - soft boiled with a jammy centre. I was surprised by the cherry tomatoes in the broth and would've been happy without this addition but looking forward to trying other ramen flavours at Konjiki.

(Visited on Wednesday, Oct 8/25 for lunch around 1:15PM) Before anyone comes at me for 4 stars - it is just because the flavour profile did not do it for me. I'm not saying the food is bad. You may love a place and that's great too 🙂 Haven't had Konjiki Ramen in a while and as a self proclaimed ramen connoisseur I had to retry this place. Got the Shoyu Tonkotsu - according to online menu. I dunno what it was... if it was the noodles or the broth... something just didn't taste right for me. Maybe because I'm used to thick egg noodles. Honestly didn't enjoy. That being said. Service was quick. No complaints there. I have been here before for the tempura bowls which I do quite enjoy. Honestly not a bad place for a bite. Just not my fave.

🍜 Today I had the ramen & tempura set — and it was absolutely delicious! The broth was rich and flavorful, the noodles had the perfect texture, and the tempura was crispy without being greasy at all. You can really tell they use fresh, high-quality ingredients. ✨ Service was friendly and attentive, making the whole experience even better. I’ll definitely be coming back again!

Konjiki Ramen never disappoints! I tried their Angus Ramen, and it was absolutely incredible — the broth was rich and flavorful, perfectly balanced with tender slices of Angus beef that just melted in my mouth. The noodles had just the right texture, and every bite felt carefully crafted. The presentation was beautiful, and the portion was generous without feeling heavy. If you’re looking for premium ramen with top-quality ingredients, Konjiki Ramen’s Angus Ramen is a must-try! Also, much appreciated to the staff that ran out to me to return my forgotten glasses.

Visited late Thursday lunchtime and was easily able to obtain a table. The place wasn't so busy, yet, the staff served me immediately and were friendly and efficient. I was able to communicate with my limited Japanese which was fun. I went for the regular ramen and it was pretty good. Presentation was done well and price was reasonable for Toronto ($15.5 before tax). The ramen shop is well decorated and kept clean. They have offering from their Saryo cafe at their North York centre site although I didn't see if they had coffee (I did see green tea). The wash room facilities were clean and well maintained. I noticed the property is quite narrow.

Ordered the tempura and eel set with fried egg, I’d say everything was pretty standard. The eel I got doesn’t look as good as other posts. Slightly disappointed about the rice coz that’s a key component to a Tendon too. Got a sense of oily-ness towards before finishing the bowl. Besides food I have to shout out to the clean toilet they have

I have been coming here for years. A small bit of Japan in busy Toronto. I like the tempura and the ramen. Bring a jacket in summer as it it well air conditioned. It is just nice here and very relaxing.

AFURI Ramen + Dumpling in Toronto offers a unique dining experience with its refreshing Yuzu-infused ramen. The Yuzu Shio ramen is particularly delightful, featuring thin and perfect noodles. The restaurant also offers a Ramen Combo that includes a mini app and a drink for $25. In addition to the delicious ramen, the menu boasts appetizing sides like Mini Crispy Buta Gyoza, Karaage chicken, and soft shell crab baos.
I recently got to try a delicious combo from Afuri, and honestly, I was so impressed everything tasted incredible and felt perfectly indulgent from start to finish. I ordered the Yuzu drink, the Tonkotsu Chashu Men, and the Mini Tori Karaage, and each one was genuinely delicious in its own way. The Karaage was a standout for me super crispy on the outside yet tender and juicy on the inside. The special sauce at the bottom added this bright, zesty kick that tied it all together beautifully. The Tonkotsu Chashu Men was comforting and full of flavor, with rich broth, fresh noodles, and perfectly cooked chashu. Every bite felt warm and satisfying, especially on a chilly day. The Yuzu drink was a pleasant surprise it’s carbonated, which gives it a fun, refreshing twist. It pairs really well with the richness of the ramen and fried chicken, balancing everything out nicely. The restaurant itself has a clean, modern interior with a cozy atmosphere. Their menu offers a great variety of ramen options, sides, and drinks, so there’s definitely something for everyone. I also appreciated that the service was quick and the staff were friendly and welcoming they really made the experience even better. If you plan on visiting, I’d recommend booking a table ahead of time, as it does get quite busy, especially during peak hours. Overall, Afuri is an excellent spot for anyone craving a warm, flavorful, and satisfying meal. I’ll definitely be coming back to try more dishes soon. 🍜❤️

I was excited to get my free ramen at Afuri Ramen for my birthday! You just show your ID. When I arrived with a friend I was warmly greeted by Tumul who gave us excellent customer service during our delicious lunch! We arrived early at 11:30am and beat the lunch rush. The ambiance was nice and spacious and I loved all the sunlight coming through the big windows. The only choice for my birthday ramen was called Yuzu Shio and everything about it was delicious but it was a chicken broth. I prefer pork broth and maybe I could have asked for it next time. YUZU SHIO shio tare, chicken broth, chi-yu, menma, greens, chashu, egg, nori, yuzu, thin noodle My friend really enjoyed his Hamachi Don which he ate so quickly! It looked colourful too. HAMACHI DON yellowtail, poke sauce, onion, scallion, hazelnut rayu, sesame, sushi ginger, kizami nori, sushi rice We also shared two appetizers which we really loved! Except the Spicy Pork Tacos were way too spicy for me. POKE SALMON TACOS crispy gyoza shell, salmon, scallion, poke sauce, sushi ginger, radish, lime aioli, micro greens, lime SPICY PORK TACOS crispy gyoza shell, toban-jan miso pork, cucumber, onion, spicy miso, lime aioli, radish, chives, sweet soy glaze, lime The good food and great customer service really made my birthday special! Big thanks to Yumul and the chefs!

At Afuri, the ramen perfectly matches the summer vibes. As a ramen enthusiast, I went for the yuzu shio broth today. Even though the temperature was soaring above 30°C, the bright, citrusy yuzu gave the bowl a wonderfully refreshing lift. The chashu was cooked just right, and the egg was perfectly soft-boiled, the kind you savor till the last bite. I even finished every drop of the flavorful broth. Plus, they had this incredible chilled yuzu dipping sauce for the tsukemen, absolutely unbeatable and so delicious. I’ve come back again and again, and can’t wait for my next visit!

Fantastic food and delightful atmosphere. Ramen was to die for, and the deep fried egg was amazing. Karrage was well seasoned and had good sauce (love the pepper garnish). This place has a beautiful modern aesthetic. Cheese cake was wonderful and fresh. The drink list is very unique, I'm always happy to see a yuzu lemonade on the menu. The staff were fast and attentive. I appreciate the spacey room - this isn't some cramped Toronto hole - you can breathe.

Located around the corner and just north of the famous Maple Leaf Gardens. Afuri is a ramen restaurant that serves quality. First, the decor excels as a higher end 4 star restaurant bar. Full bar service at a typical ramen shop is uncommon. Large seating capacity and great atmosphere. With all that being said, the ramen prices are still your typical under $20.00 price to start. I ordered the yuzu ratan which is one of their yuzu shio ramen that has some spice added. Very tasty and full of flavour. This particular ramen comes with a spicy shoyu tare, chicken broth, chi-yu (chicken oil), menma (marinated bamboo shoots), greens, chashu (marinated pork), egg, nori (seaweed), thin strip of white radish, yuzu, thin noodles. Not sure exactly what the green leas were but very tasty. The only minus is the lack of condiments on the table. This ramen is on the spicy side so no hichimi required but to have the option to add more if I preferred is always a nice option to have for me. As with most ramen shops, this one offers a variety of ramen styles plus a great selection of side dishes. In addition, this restaurant serves sushi also. There are a number of sushi restaurants that also serve ramen but this one is the reverse. Ramen first as the main offering with sushi as side option. If you are in the area, Afuri Ramen is definitely worth checking out.

The ramen broth is very good and the soft shell roll is very tasty. The vegan hazelnut ramen is good but be careful it’s very spicy. The air was too smoky. I wish they can improve the air quality soon.

Update: repeat visit was a mild disappointment. Flavours were good but plating was kinda shabby compared to the previous time. Service was the big flub. Wrong stuff brought out, and once the fellow put food on our table destined for someone else saying “I’m just putting this down” - nah. I wouldn’t want my food on someone else’s table either. Really fantastic food. Excellent flavours. Crispy eggs are a must have. All appetizers were excellent. Both yuzu and spicy Kara broth were excellent.

Amazing ramen place with ramen noodles done to perfection, soup bases so rich and flavourful, meat so tender, and portion just on point Combos at $30 including an appetizer, a noodle/ rice bowl and a drink Happy hour from 2-5pm Service was great, interior design was clean and beautiful with high ceiling. Highly recommended. Just as good as their Vancouver location

BOKU (Yonge St.) is a laid-back Asian snack bar located in the Distillery District, offering a variety of dishes such as sushi rolls, classic rice dishes, ramen bowls, share plates, and noodles. The restaurant aims to provide good value and delicious food and drinks in a relaxed atmosphere. Customers can enjoy cocktails and local beers while savoring flavorful options like curry plates, spicy ramen with added egg, and takoyaki appetizers.
Boku is in a convenient location on the corner of Yonge St and Breadalbane St. Inside is a cozy Japanese themed bad and eatery with nice decor, good music and plenty of seating. The cleanliness of this establishment is always top tier. I had the chicken katsu-curry and it was delicious. I tried three different drinks on their menu and they were all made very well and tasted incredible. I had the pleasure of being served by Kyle, he was a fast server who made my experience at Boku even better. He recommended me drinks to try and I was happy with his choices. He always made sure my water was topped up and checked on my frequently, He made good conversation as well. Overall I’d recommended Boku to anyone who wants to try you’ll enjoy your experience here and if Kyle is your server it will be even better.

Overall, I had a good experience here. The restaurant is conveniently located within walking distance of Wellesley Station, which makes it an easy spot to get to. It wasn’t too busy on a Monday evening, so we were seated right away without any wait. Service was decent, but there’s room for improvement. For instance, we ordered the premium sake flight, but it was placed on the table without any explanation of what each glass contained. There were also no descriptions on the menu, which left us guessing. A little more engagement from the staff about the dishes and drinks would enhance the overall experience. As for the food, it exceeded my expectations. The Tuna Tataki had a nice kick of spice and a good crunch, which I really enjoyed. That said, the presentation could use some work - it was served in a broth-like sauce that made the plate look a bit soupy. The Unagi Don was hearty and satisfying, with flavorful eel coated in a rich BBQ sauce. I also tried a few cocktails, which were well-balanced and quite tasty. They complemented the food nicely and showed some thought in the drink menu. All in all, this spot was better than I expected, especially in terms of food and drinks. With a bit more attention to service details, it could be an even stronger dining experience.

It’s my second months in toronto, and it’s the best resturant I have been to. Feels like backing to the time when I was in Tokyo - the food and quiet atmosphere is much above the average in Canada, given the same price range. I do love the seats near the window, it captures bustling street views clearly. I wish I could stay longer and enjoy it but they seems getting close at that time. Last but not least, the servers did remember my preference made 2 weeks ago, which made me very shock and surprise - but appreicate it, thanks!!

Pretty standard Japanese restaurant. Food is decent, as in it is just average. Tbh many of the things don’t taste fresh cooked. The price to portion ratio as well is mediocre. Nothing a bad choice, but would not go out of my way to return.

My family and I went here for the first time for dinner together, and all of the dishes were amazing! I recommend getting a reservation as the restaurant fills up quickly. The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated with ornate Japanese umbrellas, a lavish bar, beautiful furniture and the pottery used to serve the dishes were also lovely. Our server was the best: he was busy with many other tables simultaneously but still gave great recommendations, was courteous and prompt, and packed our leftovers to-go! All of the food was delicious. We got the Agedashi Tofu as appetizers, which was freshly fried, piping hot and so delicious in the Dashi sauce. For my main, I got their Salmon Poke Bowl, which was a large portion, healthy, tasty and very filling! I also got their Yuzoo mocktail, which was minty, citrusy and sweet with a hint of Lychee. My sister got their Black Garlic Ramen and loved it. I highly recommend BOKU if you’re looking for delicious Japanese eats!

I did not enjoy the food. I ordered Protein bowl which was classified as a poke. I did not realize this didn't contain rice, but as a main menu ( not an appetizer) for $22, it could had it, or at least noted that it doesn't contain it. The salad bed was not too fresh with some yellow leaves in, which I pulled out. "Sashimi grade" raw fish was clearly from frozen, I didn't see it was cared too much ( mushy?) to make it look better. Shrimp and egg were delicious, but I left rather hungry. Service was fair, but the waiter did not remember which one of us ordered what. My friend's bibimbap didn't have the red paste sauce and we had to spell it out / explain the waiter what was missing, she didn't seem to know what comes w bibimbap in Korean restaurants. Overall it was ok, but I won't come back.

Oji Seichi is a charming ramen shop located in Toronto's East Chinatown, offering a unique culinary experience curated by Chef Mitch Bates, known for his background at Momofuku and Grey Gardens. The cozy ambience reflects the warmth of family meals and traditional Japanese flavors. The restaurant offers house-made noodles meant to be enjoyed immediately or cooked at home for an authentic experience. Additionally, Oji Seichi presents a five-course dinner featuring black truffle as a prominent ingredient.
Oji Seichi is a wonderful place, I am a regular customer and love it. Chicken Sesame is the best ramen! I love the spice for this soup and the toppings are amazing. My experience was positively affected by this girl with a ponytail. I would also love to say that the restaurant is clean and has a amazing atmosphere.

Server was great, they got a nice space just need some music or something. Both ramens we had tasted nice, but both broths were lukewarm, I do enjoy my broth hot. Not sure if it’s for a specific reason but if it is I’d be curious to know.

I would say that this is an ok ramen place if you were in the area and hungry. In other words, not really place to seek out. I had the spicy sesame ramen and it was perfectly adequate, not overpowering or overly-filling. My friend had the other dish with the mushrooms and said that he was satisfied with it. Service was good and the place has many cute Japanese touches. Bathrooms were very clean.

Everything is so good. The server gave the most poetic and descriptive overviews of the different flavours. It really helped us order the most delicious ramen -and the kids were spoiled. This soft serve ice cream, parfait, sesame seed crumble thing is enough to make you want to write a five star review while you’re sitting at the table. Here’s a photo. It may have looked good when it was served…

The service here was simply amazing. The gentleman was working alone as the waiter in the restaurant and he was very attentive and friendly. We tried their fries with nori ranch sauce as an appetizer. It came as a handful of fries with a side of ranch dressing. The fries were a bit on the salty side, and the ranch sauce was nothing special. We also had their shio and shoyu ramen. The broth for both were okay, not super flavorful. I had also read a review praising their soft serve ice cream with salted Caramel and crispy noodle and wanted to give it a try. The concept of it is interesting, but the combination of it all was not to my liking.

Nestled at 154 Cumberland Street in Toronto, Ramen Tabetai is a culinary gem crafted by the talented chef Masaki Saito, renowned for his Michelin-starred establishment, Sushi Masaki Saito. This unique ramen spot offers an exclusive dining experience that you won't want to miss. The ambiance is relaxed and welcoming, making it a perfect place to savor delicious bowls of ramen without the distraction of takeout options—chef Saito aims to preserve the authentic taste of his creations.
We went on a Tuesday around lunch time - 1:00PM and it was about 10-minute wait. There was no wait after the rush lunch hours. So if you want to avoid waiting, go after 2:00PM. The price is reasonable for the food portion. Compared to other regular ramen places, which are around $19-$21, regular ramen tabeitai costs $23.88, I say it's worth it for a 2-star Michelin chef restaurant. The quality is consistent. You definitely will not have an option at Fat anywhere else! I ordered the add-on Cha-shi $5. The 2 pieces are huge. Egg is $2.5 Extra spicy - level 3: $1 I couldn't finish a whole bowl. I should have ordered half noodles. This is probably the best raman I have tried in Toronto so far. My friend ordered curry add-on, and the flavor was amazing. After all the add-ons, yes it's quite steep but with the custom options and the quality of broth, it's worth it. The ramen is not for the everyday meal of course but this is a very good ramen that you should try.
Vivian P — Google review
Ok so basically let’s talk about price first… yes the price is very high for a bowl of ramen $23 all add on are extra too with saying that understand their is only one flavour option pork…with saying that you can customize your ramen so we went with half level to start and even that was enough salt and way to much garlic (and I am a garlic lover) I could have gone with less bean sprouts I feel like the bean sprouts took over the bowl the ratio between the bean sprouts and the noodles didn’t make any sense to me. The best part of the ramen was the broth for me half level was the perfect saltiness Granted, I like salt, so it might’ve been a little more salty than many people would like. Noodles I found to be overly chewy but I did enjoy it that way. If you like your ramen 🍜 more on the spicy side like myself you must have at least two orders of the spicy Tare to get that heat right. For the Japanese Nori, you literally get three small sheets as a side which was absolutely ridiculous 6 small sheets for that price would be better. The egg add on was poached perfectly very delicious. Restaurant is super small, but cute decor is very modern day Japanese not a huge Japanese feeling but more of a tone down Japanese. Service Could’ve been better for it being the only 2-star Michelin chef in canada. First server, a very nice Mexican young lady was really good. However, there was another girl(Asian) who was cleaning tables filling drinks. She did not have a pleasant attitude at all she looked unhappy and irritated with her coworkers even infront of customers you could clearly tell she was having a bad day. So over all I’ll give this a location 7/10 would I go back in the winter maybe I don’t think this would be something I crave on a daily basis but I would go back again and give it a second try.
Celine S — Google review
I was really looking forward to trying this place, especially since the menu allows you to customize saltiness, fat, and garlic levels. However, even after selecting reduced salt and reduced fat, the ramen still came out extremely salty and oily. The broth felt quite heavy to drink, and it was difficult to enjoy the flavours because the saltiness was overwhelming. The idea of customizing your bowl is great in theory, but it didn’t seem like the instructions were followed, or the base broth is already too strong to adjust effectively. The portion and presentation were good, and the onsen egg was nicely done, but overall the experience was disappointing, especially for the price. I hope the kitchen can take customization requests more seriously, it would make a big difference.
Bonnie C — Google review
Went here for ramen and honestly left disappointed. The ramen came piled with cabbage, and that was pretty much all I could taste. The broth didn’t have much depth or flavour, and the overall balance of ingredients just felt off. The service was slow and the staff didn’t seem very friendly or interested in helping, which was surprising since the place wasn’t even that busy. The menu and ordering process are also confusing and overly complicated. It felt like too much effort just to figure out what to get and how to order it. On a positive note, the restaurant itself is decorated really nicely and has a trendy, modern feel. Unfortunately, that was the highlight of the visit. With so many great ramen places in the area, I wouldn’t recommend this one.
Mike N — Google review
We ordered the original ramen (extra garlic, less salt, less fat), the vegetarian ramen and 3 piece onigiri. One thing to note is the portions are pretty large. It’s also very filling due to the thicker noodles, rich broth and vegetables included. The original one was tasty and a regular salty level even though I only did 25% salty. But by the end of the bowl it feels really heavy due to the richness of the broth. The vegetarian one on the other hand was nasty LOOL it tasted like the Vita Soy drink 😭 it was weirdly sweet and it was just off… The onigiri was really yummy and super cheap for $5!! The service was pretty mid..
Charlene S — Google review
Fantastic ramen with a fresh garlicky kick! I really enjoyed the thick noodles and I love that you can customize each ingredient to your liking. Since it was my first time trying it out, I decided to try it at 100% for each ingredient. Personally, I find that it does have a lot of pork back fat with the 100% level, so next time I think I will go for either 50 or 75%. Other than that, all of the flavours are like an explosion that really melts in your mouth with every bite 😋. The pork meat is throughly cooked and very soft; and the noodle portion is adequate so you can really enjoy the flavour of the ramen. I would definitely come back for more, and try the different customizations!! 🤤😋
Kenia R — Google review
Absolutely mind blowing-ly delicious! Never had anything like this. The depth of flavour is unmatched and you can definitely tell how much effort went into getting the recipe perfect. Tried the standard version and keen to come back for the spicy one next time. Very, very flavourful with intense umami and complex notes of roasted garlic, fresh vegetables, and tonkotsu. Will be a T.O. favorite for years to come.
Joe L — Google review
Having tried many other ramen spots that the city has to offer, the exclusively priced value is sadly only carried by the hype of the Michellin status owner. For 22.88(BEFORE tax and tip), you get Jiro style ramen, which to me is closer to shoyu tonkotsu broth, 1 cut of chashu, heaping scoop of garlic and pork fat You can choose your preferred levels of salt, fat, garlic, noodles and vegetables. But the bowl was honestly quite basic which other ramen places offer the same(or better) for less. Jiro style ramen has that picturesque image of a towering bowl but it mainly constitutes beansprouts and noodles. I guess the attraction is that it’s very filling and the pork fat with garlic blends with the broth and vegetables which gives you two dishes in one, a beansprouts umami side dish atop a bowl of ramen. Our waitress said the portions are big so you can opt to get a smaller portion of noodles (with no price difference) because they don’t want you to waste food and no takeaways are allowed ( I actually love this because restaurants contribute to so much single-use packaging waste). But the normal vs half portion was negligible and the “normal” portion was not more than an average amount. Their noodles alone were some of the best though, nice chew, holds well and carries the broth perfectly. The broth was not anything special, honestly I could taste more of the salt from the shoyu they used more than anything, even in the reduced salt option. Beansprouts cooked well but the chashu was mediocre. They only gave one thick cut per bowl(add ons cost more). Most places give paper thing slices but for $22.88, was expecting a bit more vs their mountain of beansprouts. The added fat gives a nice mouthfeel and the garlic is a nice touch. Service is what you would expect from any ramen/japanese place. Overall, I wouldn’t go here over some other staples like RYUS or Ikkousha ramen, which has deeper flavour imo. If you’re a die-hard fan of Jiro style, shoyu and beanspouts, it’s worth a try. Other than that I wouldn’t put this place on a pedestal for its hype.

Very good and delicious, real taste of Japan Tokyo. Chicken soup broth is favourable, welly made, very delicate and nicely hot. The cold noodle is very tasty and refreshing. Every thing well done and will come again for sure. Patio and indoor both are nice deco with vintage display, love this good vibe.

The Tokyo Shio Ramen I ordered was a real treat to savour. Clear and light chicken broth that comes with pork and chicken plus clam, menma, seaweed, and green onion slivers. Other topping are available at an extra charge. The soup was full of chicken flavour and very tasty. Again, I wish I had access to some condiments to make this good bowl an even better bowl. The atmosphere did not convey a typical ramen shop. The decor, looks more like a typical bar that serves ramen on the side. With that being said, the food was still very enjoyable. Another location worth checking out again.

I made a reservation for Saturday night and the staff was able to get my party seated an hour earlier from our reservation which was very accommodating! The staff was super friendly and made good food recommendations, we were greeted right when we walked in. Service was fast as well! Atmosphere is very nice and unique! We got the karaage and siu mai to share. Karaage was so crispy and flavourful, very juicy and tender, one of the best I have had! The Siu Mai was unique, the filling was similar to a gyoza filling, very tasty as well. The Paitan Soy ramen was the highlight! I was just the right amount of flavour and saltiness. Paitan Shio was very good too. As recommended from the menu, we got an onsen egg with the creamy ramen and it was so good! The broth was rich and creamy, noodles had a nice chew. The meat was perfectly tender and juicy. Would definitely recommend Kaminari if you are looking for a Ramen Bar.

The ramen here felt far from what I’ve experienced in Japan, both in taste and portion size. For an average person, the serving brings only about 20% of a satisfying meal. I’d suggest thinking twice if you’re coming here just for ramen. The two stars are for the friendly staff and the warm lighting atmosphere, which were the highlights of the visit.

This was the most perfect dinner! I haven't had bonito sashimi since I went to Kochi. It was such a treat! I almost cried. The Brussels were AMAZING!! Also, I didn't get a full photo of my ramen, because I began devouring it as soon as it came to the table. SUBLIME!! THE PORK WAS HEAVENLY! The chicken was silky, the noodles were chewy and gorgeous, the flavor was rich and wonderful. A bowl of amazing. Bonus: come here even for a glass of water. They have soft water. It's wonderful. Served in a sparkling glass jug. Staff is friendly, kind and attentive. Please eat here. Best ramen ever.

I recently visited Ikkousha Ramen in Toronto and had an amazing experience! The food was absolutely delicious — every bite was full of rich, comforting flavors that made it easily some of the best ramen I’ve had in the city. The broth was perfectly seasoned, the noodles had a great texture, and all the toppings were fresh and flavorful. On top of the fantastic food, the service was outstanding. Everyone there was so kind, welcoming, and attentive, making the whole experience even better. You can really feel the care they put into both their food and hospitality. I’ll definitely be coming back — highly recommend to anyone looking for a top-notch ramen spot!

I ordered the Tori miso at this location. I was surprised at how quickly I was able to receive my order. I was looking around and taking pictures of the interior and suddenly my order arrives. The counter has condiments but not your typical selection. The condiments consists of dipping sauce for the gyoza, chilli vinegar for the ramen, a sesame seed grinder , and black pepper. The miso soup was mildly hot. Came with bamboo, nori, bean sprouts, green onions, two thin chicken breast slices, and some small chicken cubes. The thin noodles were firm and carried the soup really well. The miso was not over powering to drown out the chicken flavour. I really enjoyed the umami rich flavour of the soup broth. Worth checking out again to try one of the other selections.

i didn’t notice the difference between two Ikkousha resto, the one i walked in was mainly serving chicken ramen. picked the signature with fish and thought it would be a bit salty but it was pretty good, i almost returned them en empty bowl with no soup left. one thing i don’t like is having to pay extra for egg, yet ill come and try next door that serves pork

This is the best ramen I’ve ever had! The Tori Paitan is their regular option and it’s incredibly flavorful. This ramen is also amazing rich, comforting, and deeply satisfying. We also ordered the gyozas, which were delicious, crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The karaage don was tasty too, with crunchy, well-seasoned chicken. The highlight here is definitely the ramen, but they also offer other creative options for those who like to explore new flavors. The service is excellent, the staff are always kind, attentive, and make you feel welcome. I totally recommend this place!

As soon as you get there you see it is an amazing place to have ramen. The food was amazing, flavorful and balanced. You can taste how much care they put in their food and got upset when we got full because we wanted more. The staff are great and you feel welcomed as soon as you step in. Will go there again definitely.

Absolutely loved my visit to Ikkousha Chicken Ramen! The broth was rich and flavorful, you can tell it’s been simmered to perfection. The noodles had the perfect bite, and the toppings were fresh and satisfying. It’s such a comforting and satisfying bowl, especially on a chilly day. Cozy atmosphere and friendly service made it an all-around great experience. Can’t wait to come back again soon!

As someone who doesn't eat pork having a ramen store that does only chicken was refreshing. When you enter the staff is so friendly and they all say hello in Japanese when someone enters, and have a good day when you leave. Now onto the food take your pick of any and I'm sure you won't be disappointed I got the God Fire Spicy Level 3 and as someone that loves spice it was perfect if you think you can handle it get the highest heat I'm sure it will be still good to but might just have you coughing a bit

Only chicken ramen location in Canada. We came to this shop instead of the pork since the line was shorter. The space between each table is a little tight. Service was efficient and the food came out super quick. Rich chicken broth and great chicken slices in the ramen. Adding three pieces of chicken, an egg and three pieces of seaweed was 6$; averaging out a bowl of ramen at 22$.

Ramen restaurant
Ramen x Remix Ramen&Bar, located at 424 Queen Street West in Toronto, offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere with a fantastic variety of ramen options. The menu features more refined ramen dishes while maintaining a casual vibe. The Spicy Wok Magic is rich and flavorful, with perfectly cooked noodles and fresh toppings. Another standout dish is the SIGNATURE YUZU SCALLOP SHIO CONSOMME, known for its beautiful presentation and exquisite taste.
I’ve dined at Ramen x Remix a few times and have enjoyed every bowl of ramen I ate. My favourites are the Garlic Miso, Truffle Shoyu Paitan and any of the consommé really. I can tell the ramen is crafted with thought and care from its presentation and of course…the delicious taste of the broth and toppings! The staff are very friendly and welcoming too. I recently visited again to try the new side this menu from early this year. I went with my wife and we tried a few of the side dishes and they were fantastic. We had the chashu don, beef tendon skewers, chicken tsukune and crab croquette. They were all delicious but the crab cream croquette was our favourite! I believe it’s the tastiest croquette available in Toronto, really. And we’ve been to many restaurants, especially izakayas and Japanese restaurants. Ramen Remix delivers dishes that match and even surpass other local restaurants. So… If you’re into ramen or Japanese dishes, definitely check this spot out for your next ramen craving 😋

Tucked away on Queen St W, this cozy ramen bar is pure comfort. 🍜 Tried the Signature Yuzu Scallop Shio Consommé — one sip and I was hooked. The yuzu fragrance dances in a rich, clear broth, with tender chicken, charred pork, crispy bacon, scallops, and even a hidden shrimp wonton. 🌊🍋 Refreshing yet full of flavor — perfect for a summer day. Also loved the Spicy Miso Soup: rich, savory, with just the right kick. 🔥 💡Noodle firmness is customizable (go for extra firm!) 💡Free noodle refill available (eat-in only!) 💰 Around $20–25/person.

First off, I found this ramen place online and I was intrigued by the quality of the website. I know that seeing a great website does not translate to experiencing great food. Once I saw the ingredients like the sushi grade scallops, I had to try this location. The decor of the restaurant matched the quality of the website. Now, for the food. I ordered their signature ramen. Signature Yuzu Scallop Shio consommé. First, when the server brought the ramen it looked just like it was straight out of the website. The noodles were arranged all aligned in a row and neatly placed on one side of the bowl. What also surprised me was the ladle was not your typical plastic one but this one was made of ceramic and heavy. It’s the same as when you enjoy a great steak dinner using real silverware compared to a plastic knife and fork. The broth was a real joy to experience. The chicken and seafood broth was very light, full of flavour and not oily at all. Yes, I did see oil in the broth but the oil was tasty and light. The ramen came with a sushi grade scallop, pork and chicken cha shu, two shrimp and pork dumplings, clam, menma, chopped onions, thinly sliced green onion strips, and thin crispy strips on top. I would say this is the best ramen I have had all year hands down. The quality ingredients and attention to detail is top notch. Ramen Remix will certainly be one of the first locations I will return to for an update review. I also enjoyed the tako wasabi. The seaweed this dish came with was dark green and not your typical black seaweed. Dark green is usually higher in quality. The seaweed was tasty and very crispy. Ramen Remix is a great spot to check out if you are looking for great atmosphere, large selection of appetizers, a great selection of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks besides the main ramen dishes.

Having tried 20+ ramen restaurants in Toronto, and several in Tokyo, I can safely say this is THE best ramen joint in Toronto and can hold its own against some of the more modern ramen restaurants in Tokyo. So much so that I'm not even going to try the next few places on my list, in favour of coming back here and trying some of their other signature ramens. The yuzu scallop shio consomme looks like an absolute piece of art. The ramen components are exceptionally prepared, and come together beautifully in a perfect bowl of soup, noodles, and toppings. Everything is prepared in house, and it really comes across in both taste and presentation. It is a beautiful bowl they embodies what ramen should be. For the price is barely more expensive than Kinton Ramen, which really goes to show how accessible this is. Their signature broths are delicious; flavourful and full of umami. We had both the yuzu scallop shio paitan and the truffle shoyu consomme. Shoyu is my favourite ramen base, and this broth was so addicting. The yuzu scallop base is a tonkatsu broth but the citrus really helped cut through the richness, allowing you to slurp down the entire bowl without it feeling too heavy. Noodle quality is very good; perfectly springy and chewy, making it a satisfying slurp. They also give you a free refill of a half bowl of noodles; not customary at all and very appreciated. The chasu was also delicious; they provided both chicken and pork. Unlike other cuts of chasu, these slices were the perfect portion size. Not too thick, and overly fatty. For appetizers, we had both the scallop sashimi, and guytan. Scallops were so fresh and the gyutan was perfectly grilled for thag beefy taste. We also had the seasonal Curacao drink, and it was aesthetic and delicious. It came with gummy goldfish, which added both a interesting look and great citrus flavour. For dessert, we had their almond tofu. It tasted almost like vanilla bean ice cream. Sooo creamy and not overly sweet. Perfect way to end a meal.

I tried both the Yuzu Scallop Shio Consommé (clear broth) and the Truffle Shoyu Paitan (milky white broth), and honestly - they're both the best ramen broths I've had in the city. Each one had its own unique flavor profile and was incredibly rich without being overwhelming. They also offer a one-time free noodle refill, which is a great perk, though the original portion was already super filling for me. The atmosphere is relaxed and chill, perfect for casual meals or even a late-night drink spot with friends. Highly recommend going if you're a ramen lover (like me hehe). 8 out of 10. Hung Hung

The taste of Signature Yuzu scallop Shio ramen is really light and fresh. It has scallops, clams, one piece wonton, chicken breast, smoked pork. I added extra black garlic oil on the side but I like rich ramen soup so this one is not really my style. I love the spicy wok magic miso soup more. Its really rich and flavourful. It tasted really good. The chicken karaage was a little bit salty. The caramel cream pudding was good not that sweet!
Nalasa C — Google review
I really wanted to like this place, but if I’m being honest, their cream based ramen isn’t creamy enough. It’s rather light, but I ordered a cream based ramen because I was looking for that satisfying rich flavour. Their chicken karaage was aight, but it’s kinda hard to mess up karaage.

10/10 food. Felt iffy with the price and the wait time to order at first, but after getting the food with complementary extra noodles, definitely worth it. I don’t think you can go wrong with any of the bowls here. Went with a group of 4, each had something different to try, and it was all great.
