Bobbette & Belle Artisanal Pastries is a high-end patisserie known for its meticulously handcrafted cakes, cupcakes, and macarons. With locations in Queen East and Lawrence, this renowned bakery offers an exquisite selection of baked goods including scones, muffins, and biscuits. They are celebrated for their delectable treats and top-notch macarons in Toronto.
Bobette & Belle has been a go to for my family for 5 plus years since we moved to leslieville. The atmosphere is always warm and decorative for the seasons/holidays. We have so many memories with their famous cakes, cupcakes, pies and treats over the years. Our latest go to is the strawberry shortcake (we can’t wait to pick it up soon for my daughter’s 8th birthday). Looking forward to many more years of your delicious treats and good service.

Bobbette & Belle made the most incredible lemon cake for our vow renewal—it was an absolute showstopper. Elegant, beautifully crafted, and hands down the best-tasting cake we've ever had. Our guests are still talking about it! The artistry, attention to detail, and flawless execution made it such a highlight of our celebration. We’re so thankful we chose Bobbette & Belle for such a special occasion. Highly, highly recommend!

We got a cake from here for a birthday party. It was really tasty. The 6" cake was more than enough for our party of 8 people. I think you can get it for up to 10 people. The interior was nice. The staff could have made extra effort to help us choose the cake. They just waited for us to make a decision without explaining what's available or offering help.
Ahmad A — Google review
What a beautiful patisserie. The brownie was excellent. Moist and not overly sweet. We absolutely loved their sticky toffee pudding. Best we've ever had!
Stan — Google review
We ordered the Ultimate Chocolate cake for a birthday celebration - after many suggesting this was one of if not the best cake in the city. It was fabulous. Great presentation just like the photos. Beautiful buttercream, rich dark chocolate flavour, 3x layers super moist and fudgey, and the brownies on top were delicious. Don't believe some of the bad reviews, the cake was awesome. Everyone raved about it. Also the maple pecan tarts, next level. We will be back!
Courtney H — Google review
We ordered a cake from Bobette & Belle and couldn’t be happier! From start to finish, the service was warm, friendly, and professional. The staff helped us choose the perfect design and flavour, and the final product was absolutely stunning, almost too beautiful to cut! Everyone loved it, the cake was moist, delicious, and a huge hit with all our guests. Thank you to the team at Bobette & Belle for making our celebration so special. We’ll definitely be back!
Claudine T — Google review
Placed an order ahead of time for floral-themed buttercream and vanilla cupcakes for an event. We received prompt confirmation of the order and communication was easy. Our order was ready at the agreed upon time and pickup went smoothly. The cupcakes were absolutely beautiful and travelled well - we received lots of compliments on their appearance. That said, the flavour and texture left much to be desired… the cupcake base was incredibly dry and tasted stale (despite us eating them within 2 hours of the pickup time). The buttercream was also very firm and lacked any sweetness, reminding us of refrigerated butter in both flavour and texture. Not sure if this was just an “off batch”, but it was quite disappointing.
Sarah H — Google review
My first experience trying the cupcakes was disappointing, but today I went in person to give them a second try and I was impressed. Walking in there is a calm atmosphere, beautiful displays and I appreciated the excellent customer service. The cupcakes were moist and not overly sweet, with really delicious flavour offerings. (Passionfruit; peanut butter and chocolate yummm, were my favourites) nothing like my first experience. I’m happy I came back and would definitely buy again!

Roselle Desserts is a charming bakery located in Corktown, Toronto, known for its creative twists on traditional pastries and delightful crêpes, tea, and coffee. The bakery was founded by pastry chef Stephanie Duong and her partner Bruce Lee in 2015. Duong's background includes experience at the three-Michelin-starred Regis et Jacques Marcon in France and other impressive roles in France and Hong Kong.
Definitely one of the best pastry shops in Toronto. I’ve tried their Earl Grey and Strawberry Parfait, and I prefer the vanilla-based soft serve from the parfait over the Earl Grey. I’m not saying their Earl Grey isn’t good, but I would prefer a more pronounced taste of Earl Grey. That said, both soft serves come with an amazing texture, mouthfeel, and the perfect level of sweetness. I’ve also tried their Pistachio and Strawberry cake cups, both very nice. I appreciate that Rosella keeps their desserts in a well-balanced sweetness, allowing me to taste the different ingredients dancing together in the cup. They didn’t put cake in the pistachio one; instead, they used puff pastry. I am not a big fan of it, but I do think it’s a good choice, as it goes super well with their amazing pistachio cream. I find their Madeleine a bit dry, but I think I taste almond flour in it, which makes the taste less flat. I’ll definitely try other items from them in the future.

4/5 Amazing little bakery/pastry shop in Leslieville Toronto The Earl 10/10 🙌🏼 Maple Black Walnut Honey Cake 9/10 🙌🏼 Earl Grey Shortbread Cookies 10/10 🙌🏼 These are just some of the treats I tried and they were incredible 4/5 stars because of price it’s not exactly wallet friendly especially when you are ordering large quantities of treats I spent around 57$ on 6 items 🫣 Earl Grey Soft serve is what they are most known for in the summer months but everything they make is made with the best ingredients and the quality is not your typical margarine whip overly sweet kind of dessert it’s definitely worth a visit or two Their hours make it tricky for those outside of Toronto to get their hands on their products as they are only open a few days a week with limited hours and products that run out fast! I still loved my desserts I will be back for their earl grey soft serve 🍦🫖💕
Anais P — Google review
Absolutely outstanding patisserie. Every visit to Roselle feels like a little celebration of taste — their desserts are crafted with remarkable precision, creativity, and genuine passion. The eclairs, mille-feuille, and their signature Earl Grey soft-serve are all executed to perfection. You can sense the French training behind every detail, from textures to balance of flavors. The space is bright and inviting, the staff always kind and attentive, and everything feels thoughtfully designed. Easily one of the best dessert spots in Toronto — refined, consistent, and worth every visit.
Sergei K — Google review
I had the fraisier, Earl grey mousse and a slice of mango passion fruit sponge cake. They were all good but I thought overpriced for what they were. Tasted good… but not amazing. The service was nice. I’ve been there for their soft serve with strawberries sundae and it was good but, again, I found it more expensive than what I thought it was worth.
Cathy B — Google review
Roselle doesn’t just do desserts, they do works of art you can eat — and “Next Level” soft serve is exactly that. Imagine Earl Grey tea got dressed up for a Michelin-star gala, then decided to throw in a zesty lemon surprise just to keep things playful. The swirl itself is impossibly creamy, perfumed with tea in the most delicate, elegant way. Then they go ahead and crown it with lemon curd, crisp pearls that crunch like tiny fireworks, and a buttery sable cookie just to remind you they’re not messing around. Every bite had me questioning if I should slow down to savor… or speed up before someone tried to steal it. Verdict: gone in minutes. This isn’t just ice cream. This is Next Level living. Would 100% recommend — bring a friend, but order your own because sharing is not realistic.
Mike A — Google review
I live an hour away and roselle is most certainly worth the trek to this neighborhood. I wish they had longer hours. My fav things are the soft serve , the earl grey cake and the banana eclairs are to die for! The flavours are just perfect and not sickingly sweet. I thin the joke is they try and cater to Asian palates. I also appreciate how they partner with local producers for seasonal fruit items. I tried the corn cake on Friday and it was so unique and delicious. I dream about Roselle and it is my favourite bakery in Toronto !
Michelle L — Google review
Roselle is a hidden gem tucked into the heart of Corktown. It's my favourite go-to dessert spot in the neighbourhood, and often claims a lineup down the street (but don't worry, it moves fast). The Earl Grey ice cream and birthday cake cups are my personal favourites.
Ala O — Google review
Ordered the 9inch earl grey cake from roselle for the first time and let me tell you, it was the BEST earl grey cake I’ve had in my entire life. It’s so worth the price and my boyfriend and his friends really really enjoyed it. Everyone asked where I got it from. Will definitely be returning for future birthday orders 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Nestled in a cozy space with minimalist decor, Butter Baker Market Café is a French-style bakery that celebrates the city's multiculturalism. Their delectable selection includes unique treats like The Earl Grey, Dalgona Coffee Cake, and Matchamisu alongside handcrafted croissants, danishes, and macarons from their sister brand.
I’ve been going here for years and it has never disappointed me. I love the monthly ice cream flavours and they are gorgeous!! The food was amazing. The waffles were so light but also the perfect texture. The syrup was also super light and enjoyable. I recommend everyone to come here

Absolutely loved our visit to Butter Baker! 💛 I brought my mom to try their new menu, and we were both blown away. I had the Baker’s Breakfast — eggs, crispy potatoes, and toast — all perfectly cooked and super comforting. My mom tried the yuzu chicken and waffles, and let me tell you… those waffles were the best! Gluten-free, buttery, and perfectly crispy — she loved every bite. We also got to try their desserts: the caramel apple butter waffles were warm, cozy, and delicious, plus a slice of their house-baked banana bread that disappeared in seconds. To finish, we had the berry and custard soft serve, which we devoured even though we were full — totally worth it. We also enjoyed drinks — I had an iced matcha latte, and my mom got a hojicha latte. Both were smooth and flavorful. The food, drinks, and cozy vibes make this spot a must-visit. Can’t wait to come back! 🧇🍵🍦

We visited here for a Saturday brunch here and had an amazing time. The moment you enter through the market door, you’re fascinated with all the beautiful handcrafted local goodies. From jewelry, candles, party decorations to home decor and kitchen accessories, they have many cute options. Their café menu includes many great options from brunch menu to desserts and drinks. They have so many unique and creative cakes, waffles and brunch options. We ordered “Grilled Chorizo Croissant Benedict” and “Spicy Chicken Waffle” from brunch menu, “Mango Waffles & Crème” and “Raspberry & Pistachio Cake Slice” from the desserts menu and finally “Mocha” and “Matchamisu Cold Foam” from drinks menu. Everything was fresh and tasty. The spicy chicken waffle was the great combination of Korean fried chicken and waffles. The Grilled Chorizo Croissant Benedict was unique and flavourful. The Raspberry & Pistachio Cake Slice was one of the best cakes I have ever had; perfect level of sweetness. Mocha was beautifully designed and matchamisu was very creative. The staff are very friendly and make sure you have the best experience.

This is one of my favourite brunch spots in the city! Their chicken & waffles is my go to order & we love that we can end our meal off with a sweet treat. Their monthly soft serve is a must but their seasonal waffles with vanilla gelato is great. For fall, we tried the caramel apple butter waffle which was divine. The service is always great!
Kristen — Google review
I first tried the shoft serve over the summer and was immediately obsessed. When I found out they have a cafe and brunch options I had to visit! The waffles are absolutely incredible. I tried both the savoury and sweet options. Perfectly crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Will definitely be back to try more!
Jen M — Google review
Get the raspberry pistachio cake, it’s miles better than their other cakes. Balanced well, “not too sweet” haha the other cakes were kinda lacklustre and if eaten side by side you would find the raspberry pistachio just takes over. Every time I go back to try a different slice, I shake my head in regret. Dine in service is pretty much scanning a QR code and prepaid, so equivalent to a McD . Which is fine but means you’re just tipping to sit there. The atmosphere is nothing to shout about, tucked behind the service counters there are some tables conveniently laid out. Might be tough to find a spot for a big group so I’d recommend take out if more than 3/4 People seem to get their ice cream and waffles most frequently. But I just go for the cake. Drinks and cookies are average. Eat the raspberry pistachio and move on.

Bought one 8” winter berries cake, the cream was so soft and lots of berries. Very nice cake. Their matcha cookie is must try item. The staffs are all friendly and helpful. Love this place.
Wen S — Google review
I had the strawberry frozen yogurt soft serve. It was a mix of strawberry and vanilla with freeze dried strawberries sprinkled on it. It was absolutely the best soft serve I've ever had in my life. I spent the entire time eating in total shock over how amazing it was. They rotate the flavours monthly. I'm going to go back every month to try whatever the current flavour is. I went back and got June's flavour, Pina colada. Also excellent but not quite as perfect as the strawberry was. July's blueberry and panna cotta was also exceptional. August's Mango Lassi was good as expected but maybe not as strong as the previous month's. I think it might be better to get just the mango instead of the swirl with frozen yogurt. Also the mango falls off very easily, so make sure you eat that right away! The sidewalk outside is covered in mango slices that fell off people's cones. Septembers' passion fruit, orange, guava mixed with vanilla is excellent as expected. Super fresh and fruity tropical taste. This might be one where you skip the mix and get just the fruit flavour. November's apple pie was excellent! I also tried a double chocolate cookie which was good, but nothing exceptional.

Totally fell in love with this place! 💕 The cappuccino was velvety and full of flavor, the pesto croissant was such a fun twist — buttery, flaky, and deliciously different. The dark chocolate? Pure bliss! 🍫✨ The vibe here is super chill and aesthetic — perfect little nook near Trinity-Bellwoods to sip, snack, and unwind. So many drool-worthy desserts to choose from! 😍☕️🥐

Such a cute little French dessert spot on Queen West! From the beautifully branded pints to the cozy patio seating, everything was super aesthetic. The dark chocolate ice cream with gluten-free biscuit was rich and decadent, and the macaron flavour was so fun. Follow @sippinginsix for more hidden gems like this! 🍦💕

When I first stumbled upon Nadege on Queen West in 2010, I had no idea I was about to walk into a place that would become so much more than a pastry shop to me. Back then, it felt like a breath of fresh air—a modern, clean haven offering a dazzling variety of delicious creations. I quickly learned that the magic behind it all was Nadège Nourian, a fourth-generation French pastry chef from Lyon. Knowing her family's rich history made every bite feel like a connection to a long, beautiful tradition of craftsmanship. Over the years, this place has become a constant in my life. It's where I go for the intricate layers of the Marie Antoinette cake, a true masterpiece of flavour and texture. The individual donut cakes are a sweet, delightful indulgence, and the canelés—my absolute must-have—are a perfect symphony of crispy, caramelized shell and soft, custardy center. They are the simple, elegant pastries I always return to, a little taste of perfection every time. But Nadege is more than just pastries. It’s a wonderful spot for a light breakfast, a quick snack, or a delicious small sandwich. It has been a quiet witness to so many moments, both big and small, in my life. Every visit feels like coming home, and with each canelé, I'm reminded of the simple joy of discovering something truly special. It’s a place that not only satisfies my cravings but also touches my heart with its unwavering commitment to beauty and flavour.
Ali K — Google review
Nadège Patisserie is the kind of place that makes you pause mid-stride on Queen Street, as though the universe just whispered, “Yes, you deserve a treat today.” The moment you step in, you’re greeted not just by pastries, but by an atmosphere that hums quietly with intention — polished, deliberate, and effortlessly chic. The gleam of the glass cases, the careful arrangement of mini cakes and macarons, the soft clink of spoons against ceramic teacups — it all feels like a small, delicious theater. Every pastry is a performance. The croissants are flaky, buttery crescendos that yield in layers with a whisper, the macarons are jewel-like, pastel oases of almond and ganache, and the cannelés — oh, the cannelés — they are caramelized, tender little cylinders that somehow manage to be both humble and transcendent. Each bite feels like it’s been choreographed for maximum delight, and you find yourself pausing to savor the artistry before diving in again. If you’re seeking a patisserie that feels both intimate and grand, playful and precise, Nadège is it. Pop in for a single macaron or plan an afternoon around a tiered mini cake indulgence — either way, you’ll leave feeling that the world is a little sweeter, and maybe a little more beautiful, than it was when you walked in.

Nadège Patisserie is a dream! We had a danish and the most incredible lemon tart, both were absolutely delicious. A must-visit for pastry lovers!
Bia L — Google review
The cheesecake tasted really off, almost sour like it was about to go bad. Macarons also tasted old, like they’ve been sitting for days. For more than $40 you’d expect some quality. Wouldn’t even eat this if I got it for free. Used to love this spot. Yikes
Robert A — Google review
The place has maintained very high standards for food. I’ve always loved to drop a visit at Nadége because of their amazing croissants. Surprisingly, today I was told by the hardworking team that the payment policies of Nadége have changed and that they don’t accept cash any further. But as per my request, they did make an exception and I truly appreciated their support. I wish there was a different rating option for staff so I could rate them good. But for the restaurant, I think they’re degrading their customer experience by removing a 100% Legal Tender - Cash in their payment policies. This indirectly shows that they do not value the customers who want to pay through cash instead of debit / credit cards. Some people don’t want the big corporates (Banks) to handle their hardworking money, which is completely fair and sensible. I do also understand that it’s legal for private business owners to make their own payment policies. A big wrong move by Nadége in my opinion. I don’t know what was the idea behind this, but doesn’t seem a good one.

Serano Bakery is a large counter-serve bakery that specializes in a wide variety of sweet and savory items, including custom options. They boast an extensive collection of Greek pastries, breads, and custom cakes. Additionally, the bakery features a Greek Food Market with imported cheeses, yogurt, olive oil, canned products, and more. Moreover, they offer distribution services to various businesses. The bakery is known for its creative cake designs and offers a convenient selection process through its website.
This place is a gem! Serano Bakery on Pape in Toronto has such a great selection of baked goods and treats. I came in for cheesecake (which was rich, creamy, and about $6.50 solid portion), but ended up leaving with way more. They have cannoli, butterfly cookies, fresh cheeses, and even gelato! The setup is simple, grab a number when you walk in and take a look around while you wait. The line moves pretty fast, and the staff are super efficient. Everything is well-organized, and the displays make it easy to spot what you want. Also love that there’s free parking right in front (around 10 spots). It’s a busy area, but cars come and go quickly, so it wasn’t too hard to get a spot. Overall, great service, fair prices, and delicious options. I’ll definitely be back.

I have been going to Serano since I was a child, but I am writing this review specifically to review my wedding cake. I placed an order via email with Maria, who was responsive and helpful. As far as I know, the cake was delivered to our complicated venue (on board a yacht at Harbourfront) on time and with no problems. The cake was ENORMOUS. We weren't expecting to get such a large cake and were so pleasantly surprised by this. This cake featured in all of our guests' summer instagram posts. Thank you to the bakers and the decorators! We loved our cake. It fit out 90s boat wedding vibe perfectly.

Serano Bakery on Pape Avenue is one of the best stores in the area! They have an amazing variety of high-quality products, love their feta cheese, fresh bread, cheese pies, and delicious desserts. The cakes and ice creams are also fantastic, and the service is always friendly and welcoming. Everything we tried was so good, making it a must-visit spot for anyone who loves great Mediterranean treats. My absolute favorite is the Korne it’s a must-try! 👏🏻🏆🍨🍰

This place is always busy, but everything is well-organized - you take a number and wait your turn. There’s an incredible variety of desserts - it’s hard to choose! They also offer many products imported from Greece. The éclairs are absolutely delicious. The staff and cashiers are friendly and welcoming.

Absolutely loved this bakery! They have an incredible variety of baked goods—cakes, biscuits, pastries—you name it. I wasn’t sure what to get at first, but the staff were super friendly and helpful. They recommended two of their best biscuits, and I genuinely enjoyed both. It’s clear the team is knowledgeable and passionate about what they do. Great spot all around, and I’ll definitely be coming back!

Serano Bakery made the cake for our wedding. They did an amazing job of creating our dream cake based off of the design we wanted. They really out did themselves this time. The cake was so beautiful and very delicious. Great quality cake for a good price (we know how expensive wedding cakes can be). You cannot go wrong with Serano. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Ho, let me tell you the difference between ordering online vs in person. I’ll keep my original review because I think it’s also important to mention. Updated Review: my husband and I stopped here for a birthday cake Saturday evening. We found the cake we liked, and we requested to write happy birthday. Everything looked good during initial inspection. We went up to the front cash to pay and the man in the white lab coat/man in cash was so rude & so disrespectful. He barely acknowledged us, throw the pin pad at me to pay and didn’t even bother to make any noise while we were leaving. When we got home, we found a hair sadly. Worse is, we wanted to give the benefit of the doubt except we are a black curly haired household and this was a brown straight hair. Either way, we enjoyed the online experience but won’t be bringing my business nor my coin here again. Old Review: Our custom cake order was AMAZING. The order experience was simple and I appreciate that they take half upfront, half when you go pick up the cake. We ordered online (email) and picked up when it was ready.

We stopped by to get dessert and were very impressed with their wide variety of options! Everything looked great, but we ended up going with a fruit tart and slice of baklava cheesecake. Both were delicious, and I would definitely return to this bakery to try more of their desserts!

If you're on the hunt for a truly remarkable cake experience, look no further than Velvet Lane Cakes & Cafe. This charming establishment, founded by sisters Danielle and Diana Johnson, is renowned for its stunning custom cakes that range from whimsical 3D designs like sneakers and designer bags to elegant buttercream creations. With an array of signature flavors such as Red Velvet and Lemon, along with delectable fillings like Caramel and Hazelnut, every bite promises to be a delight.
Love the vintage cake decorating workshop at Velvet Lane Cakes!! Me and my girls had the best time with Danielle - she’s so incredibly patient and friendly and made the 2.5 hour class fly by! Despite all being new to cake decorating, all our cakes turned out so wonderful and professional looking! It’s a perfect activity to do with your friends and it’s such a treat being able to bring your cake home as well to enjoy!

My bestie wanted a Pride and Prejudice quote cake for her birthday and Velvet Lane did not disappoint! The ordering process was quick and easy, and the member of staff I spoke to was very accommodating of my special request for the hand piped message. We ordered the lemon raspberry flavour and it was delicious and HUGE as you can see from the photos. Money well spent . Thank you for making my friend’s birthday extra special !

Delicious cupcakes. They have about 5-6 flavours. I liked all of them. Each one is about $4-5 but you get a slight discount if you get half a dozen. Other bakery items and coffee as well. Enough space to seat a few people too.

I want to say a big thank you to Velvet Lane Cakes & Cafe for making our special moment of baby revealing gender so memorable! The cake was delivered right on time, despite that it was a Statutory holiday, it tasted delicious and was absolutely amazing! My husband and I were truly enjoying the cake and we were so happy with our choice! Highly recommended!

I ordered a custom cake for my birthday last July and it was absolutely perfect. The quality is unreal. I am ordering again this year and I recommend this bakery 100%. I got the vanilla and strawberry cream cheese flavour upon recommendation by a staff member.

First off, i’d like to say they have friendly customer service and responded to our inquiries very quickly . However, i’m not sure what happened with our order: Cake order was scheduled to be delivered via doordash at around 2pm on Sunday Aug 17. I received a text message that my order was picked up from the store and was on its way at 1:35pm. At 1:55pm I get another text informing me that the order was cancelled (??) Then the order was reassigned to another dasher at 2:25pm and was delivered at 3:28pm… again, not sure what happened here. Now for the cake itself: Looked great however the message and cherries were very poorly written. (see photo) We have seen other customers post images of their cake and their messages were written perfectly so i’m not sure why ours was like this. The taste was ok… a bit dry. But the size of the cake was perfect. Overall disappointed for the price we paid and what we received.

Discovered the sweetest hidden gem in Old Toronto: Velvet Café 💕☕ This place is as pretty as a picture—think soft pink pastels, cozy corners, and the kind of vibe that makes you want to stay all afternoon. Their coffee? Smooth, rich, and perfectly crafted—seriously one of the best cups I’ve had in a while. And while I didn’t grab one this time, their cupcakes are what they’re famous for—decadent, beautifully decorated, and totally Insta-worthy. (Definitely going back for those!) Whether you’re catching up with a friend or looking for a quiet spot to study or work, Velvet Café hits all the right notes. ✨ Aesthetic interior ☕ Quality drinks 🧁 Dessert game = strong Highly recommend checking this one out.

Ordered my wedding cake and bachelorette cake from velvet lane and I wish we had found them sooner! The cake tasting for our wedding cake was overwhelming in a good way, there were so many flavour combos it was hard to pick! each and every one of them was tasty and so moist. Pick up for my bachelorette cake was seamless and only instilled more confidence in them to pull through beautifully on our wedding day. Bachelorette cake was a less complex order and was so easy to order online completed in a couple minutes and had exactly the design I was looking for. Could not speak more highly of the customer service, cake design and taste and organization! Thank you to the VL team for the seamless experience!!!

Ordered multiple mini cupcakes for an event and they were all delicious! It was smooth to shop on their website and I was surprised that some mini cupcakes had a flavored filling inside (vanilla dulce, lemon lemon, and apple caramel cheesecake). Would definitely recommend!

I’ve ordered multiple cakes from here and were blown away each time. The detail and the beauty of their cakes are unbelievable. They’re also delicious, where most decorated cakes tend to be more dry and stiff. These were not at all. We will continue to order from these amazing ladies and their team.

I ordered a donut tower with a small cake on top for my wedding. This company is non-responsive. You will not know if your product will ever arrive because they don’t answer the phone , it tells you not to leave messages and they don’t respond to emails. They had said that they would set up the tower for me and were scheduled to arrive at one. I bought the stand and had it with me at the venue at 11:45 and had been informed that they had already been there and just left the pastries for the staff to set up. They did not do a good job of it but I don’t blame them at all, that was not their job. The donuts were dense and not fully glazed . No one liked them. The cake on top was absolutely delicious. But I would never order from this company again. I found it very unprofessional, especially when dealing with something as important as a wedding, I would have expected more. I don’t have photos because it looked so pathetic we didn’t take any.

You know the saying, “it’s as easy as pie”? Well, dare I say the new saying should be “it’s as easy as cupcake bouquets”?! (Really rolls off the tongue, doesn’t it?! 😛😂) I never thought of myself as a baker, but when you have someone bake the cupcakes for you, and make the frosting for you, and provide the decor to bring your cupcakes to life, it’s not as hard as it looks. I can now happily say I made myself one fabulous cupcake flower bouquet. You may notice from my pictures, that I chose some abstract designs, but I appreciate that my creativity wasn’t stifled. Such a fun idea for a bridal shower 👰‍♀️❤️

I love The Rolling Pin! I’ve ordered my wedding cake, bridal shower cake, specialty donuts and birthday cakes from them! Always a hit! Great flavours and creative designs. Great communication from Vanessa and Isabelle, I was able to trust them for my important events! Definitely recommend checking them out!

I was looking forward to coming here specifically because the donuts looked so good. Was I mistaken. I bought 4 donuts - cookies n cream, strawberry jam, coconut cream, and raspberry cream trifle. The donut was kinda dry/dense. The toppings were either tasteless or overly sweet. I didn't really enjoy any of them. I'm pretty disappointed that I spent $26.43 for this...would not come here again. I do appreciate the friendly customer service though.

Bunner's Bakeshop is a cozy bakery that specializes in vegan, gluten-free, and soy-free sweet and savory baked goods. Their treats are known for being sweeter and often topped with buttercream frosting. The shop offers a variety of classic nostalgic treats like carrot cake cupcakes, gooey cinnamon rolls, and the popular Supersonic cookie. For those looking for custom cakes, Bunner's creates beautifully designed options with creative flavors such as bourbon pear and vanilla bean or the Best Chocolate Cake Ever.
Bunner's Bake Shop in Kensington Market is a must-visit for anyone looking for delicious vegan and gluten-free baked goods. They offer a wide variety of treats, from cakes and cookies to bars and other desserts. I was particularly keen to try their pies, but unfortunately, they were sold out by the time we arrived. This speaks to their popularity, so I'd recommend arriving early for the best selection. Despite missing out on the pie, I was still impressed with the other options available. I especially enjoyed their date squares, which were both sweet and chewy.

This is a good place to stop in for especially to take out and walk around the Kensington market or bringing home or for a gift. Place is clean and products are properly merchandised without any cross contamination. Products are tasty but a little on the pricy side. Overall for the gluten free audience this is a great place. If you don’t need their specific food requirements it would make more sense to try alternatives.

Wow soo many options ! I tried a cupcake and this jalapeño cheddar scone, miam ! Not dry at all, flavourful, I wish we had that shop in Montreal ! Everything is vegan and gf 🥰

This bakery shocked me in the best way. I’m honestly surprised the reviews aren’t stronger, because the desserts are fantastic. I’ve tried the vanilla cupcake, the red velvet cupcake, the brownie, and the cinnamon bun. All hits. The brownie is the one I keep thinking about… It’s a grab-and-go spot, no seating, which might explain some of the lower reviews. And the staff is hit or miss. The first time I went in, the woman working was great. Good energy, good vibe. The next two times, not so much. Nothing rude, just no spark for someone working in a bakery! Still, the desserts are legit. If you want quality vegan sweets, this place is it.

We hired Bunner's to make a gluten free and vegan cake for our wedding and had an amazing experience! They were so easy to work with, and created a cake with the exact vision I had in mind. Incredible Experience with Bunners! We had the absolute pleasure of working with Hannah from Bunners for our vegan, gluten-free wedding cake, and the experience was nothing short of amazing from start to finish. Hannah made the entire process fun, stress-free, and truly reflective of Bunners’ warm and vibrant brand personality. Not only was the cake stunning to look at, but it was hands-down one of the best vegan gluten-free desserts we’ve ever tasted—our guests couldn’t stop raving about it! The creativity, attention to detail, and love that went into every step of the process really showed. Bunners exceeded every expectation, and we couldn’t imagine celebrating such a special day without them. If you’re looking for a cake that’s as delicious as it is memorable, Bunners is the one!

Bloomer's Queen, originally a vegan bakery, has evolved into a charming bistro in Bloordale. The cozy spot offers homestyle and diner-inspired dishes like pulled jackfruit sandwiches, Caesar salads, Reubens, and mac n cheese. They also serve almond lattes alongside craft beers and wines. Known for their famous vegan doughnuts, Bloomers has expanded to multiple locations in the GTA.
The donuts are soft, fresh, and beautifully presented, making them perfect for a treat at home or a fun dessert with friends. 💛 Delivery was smooth and the donuts arrived in great condition, still fresh and delicious.

First, they do a vegan bakery, so shout out for that. However, I didn’t like their donuts that much. Their glazes were kind of powdery and didn’t feel good. Also, their flavours were not tasty for me, even a basic one like chocolate. I guess fritters were better than donuts. I’ve had much tastier donuts at half the price in Toronto!
Nazanin B — Google review
Nice little bakery. Good gluten free choices. However, even better donut choices. Too bad the donuts aren't gluten free. We all could have enjoyed the deliciousness. I got the gingerbread man donut and it was phenomenal. Soft and tasty. Do yourself a favor and try one if you are in Toronto. You will not regret! Service was also awesome.

Got the Ferrero Rocher, Canadian Maple, Classic Glazed, Carrot Cheesecake, Apple Fritter, and Blueberry Lemon Fritter. All of the donuts are great quality. All the filled donuts are REALLY sweet, I have a sweet tooth and they’re even too sweet for me. The filling almost tastes too buttery as well. The Ferraro Rocher was probably the best
Gen L — Google review
The doughnuts at bloomer's were incredible! On their own merit they were delightful, but as VEGAN doughnuts they thoroughly impressed me. The dough was light and pillowy, with just the right amount of chew. My only gripe was that the difference between flavours all came down to the filling or icing; there was no unique flavour in the breading. Of course, I recognize that's a limitation when you're a bakery having to make hundreds of doughnuts a day in a dozen flavours. But the icings and fillings were overly sweet, and for the unfilled doughnuts, they all tasted more or less the same—I actually thought I was eating the apple doughnut at first when I was actually eating the carrot cake one. The flavours can be overpowering, too; despite the nut crumble topping, the pistachio-rose flavour tasted overwhelmingly of rose with only a hint of pistachio. Despite some of the overlap or confusion in flavours, the doughnuts themselves exceeded my expectations, and the presentation was stunning. I'd only ask if the sweetness of the icing could be toned down and flavours workshopped, just a little, to tighten them up. Otherwise, I'm very satisfied and was happy I went.

I ordered the $69 birthday cake for my girlfriend’s 30th birthday as I really enjoy their donuts. I requested to have a message on it saying that and unfortunately I didn’t look at the cake in the box when I picked it up. Once I got to my destination, I realized they missed this detail and I was 2 hours outside of the city. I loved the cake itself, but it was a bit disappointing they missed an important detail especially for a big milestone and expensive cake. Note: I added the 30th decal myself (in photo) as I luckily purchased just in case.

🍩 During our visit in Toronto, Bloomers came up as a MUST for vegan donuts & treats! It lived up to the hype & beyond! Super adorable & cozy bakery located on the hustle & bustle on Queen St. Loved the decor & vibe! We stopped in & saw they had a large selection of MASSIVE fully loaded (and unique flavors!) of vegan donuts awaiting us! We picked the biscoff donut (such a good choice!) Uncle Tetsu's Japanese Cheesecake is a bakery dedicated to Japanese-style cheesecakes. You can order different flavours of their Original Cheesecake, available in 7" sizes with chocolate or matcha as additional flavour options. The bakery also offers cakes through Uber Eats.
This review is intended strictly for the tarts- we had the salted caramel mochi cheese tart and it was phenomenal… we ordered the fluffy cheesecake it tasted like flavorless fluff. If we ever go back it would be to try out the other flavors of tarts they have.
A B — Google review
When we first walked into the store, it smelled amazing! We decided on getting the original cheesecake. Some flavours, such as matcha, are only available on specific days of the week. Quick service despite a bit of a line. Once we got home, we noticed that they had given us a free tart in a separate bag marked ‘gift’, which was very sweet! ☺️ The cheesecake was soft, creamy, airy and not too sweet. The tarts had a sweet filling on the bottom. We had it with warm indian chai, went well together and very filling. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a lighter, not too sweet cheesecake!
Deya N — Google review
Uncle Tetsu on Bay Street is one of those Toronto dessert spots that completely lives up to its reputation. Whether you’re a long-time fan of their famous Japanese cheesecakes or it’s your first visit, the experience feels special every time. This location in particular stands out for its consistency, quality, and warm, welcoming vibe. The moment you walk in, you’re hit with the iconic aroma of freshly baked cheesecake — warm, buttery, slightly sweet, and instantly comforting. It’s the kind of smell that makes you smile without trying. Their classic Japanese cheesecake is truly something unique: incredibly soft, fluffy, and light, with that perfect balance of subtle sweetness and creamy texture. It’s not heavy or overly rich, which makes it dangerously easy to enjoy slice after slice. What I really appreciate about this Bay Street location is the quality and freshness. You can tell the cakes are made constantly throughout the day, and every cheesecake you get feels like it just came out of the oven. That signature jiggly softness is always there. It’s the kind of dessert that tastes simple but refined — something you can enjoy on your own or bring to friends and instantly impress them. The variety is also a pleasant surprise. Beyond the classic cheesecake, they offer different flavours, madeleines, and little treats that complement the main star. It gives you options without overwhelming you, and everything maintains that same level of craftsmanship. The store itself is clean, tidy, and very well organized. Even when it gets busy (and it often does), the setup keeps things moving smoothly. The displays are visually appealing, and the packaging is thoughtful and cute, making it perfect for gifting as well. A big highlight is the staff. They’re friendly, patient, and genuinely helpful — whether you’re asking about flavours, shelf life, or recommendations. They handle long lines with a smile and keep the atmosphere positive. Pricing is fair, especially considering the quality and freshness you’re getting. It feels like you’re paying for a handmade dessert, not something mass-produced. Overall, Uncle Tetsu on Bay Street is a top-tier cheesecake destination. Delicious, consistent, freshly made, and always a joy to visit. If you love cheesecake — or even if you think you don’t — this place will change your mind. Highly recommended.
Kal S — Google review
I've had Uncle Tetsu's across various locations in the city. They're fairly consistent. Wished the cheese tart was a little warmer and it would've been perfect. Located in the Atrium on Bay. Not a sit down place. No hassle. Just grab, go, and enjoy!
Hank B — Google review
Always love stepping into an Uncle Tetsu shop and take in the fresh sweet baking. This new location really suits them well - aesthetic, space and transparency, and you can tell it is reflected in their new prices (e.g., $14.75 for matcha cheesecake; $21 for half a dozen cheese tarts). In addition to matcha cheesecake, they now have a new flavour - very berry cheesecake and tart. It’s quite delicious. Although there are 2 entrances, line always starts on the Dundas entrance. For consideration, if there is some seating area, it would be perfect.
Thai L — Google review
The best japanese cheese cakes ever. They have a very spacious work environment, so clean and organized. It's an open kitchen concept and you see how much goes into making their delicious desserts. Don't sleep on the tarts and ice cream. So good.
Kavin S — Google review
Excellent Japanese cheesecake. Love the lightness and airyness of these. Tried their seasonal Yuzu flavour (lemon) this time and it was great with lemon zest (and even got a lemon seed which speaks to the use of fresh ingredients so I'm happy about!). Arigatō!
Zahabia I — Google review
If you're a fan of cheesecakes, Uncle Tetsu at the Atrium Mall is a must-visit. The staff here are incredibly friendly, efficient, and welcoming — they really make the experience even better. Service is always fast, even when there's a line, which is often the case because the cakes are just that good. One of the best things about this location is how fresh everything is. If you go in the morning, you can actually watch the cheesecakes being baked right in front of you — it's a treat for the senses! The aroma fills the shop, and you know you're getting something straight out of the oven. Soft, fluffy, and not overly sweet, their cheesecakes are consistently delicious. Definitely a top spot in downtown Toronto for a quick treat or gift. Highly recommended!

Wanda's Pie in the Sky is a cozy bakery located in Toronto's vibrant Kensington Market neighborhood. This charming establishment offers a variety of homestyle pies, cakes, and other delectable treats. It's a popular spot for dessert lovers, known for its mouthwatering pies like Black Forest, Chocolate Banana, Rainbow, Lemon, and Mango Chiffon Cheesecake. Whether you're craving fruit pies, cream pies, or custard and nut pies, Wanda's has it all.
This place always has a warm, homey vibe to me whenever I visit. The staff are also warm and friendly. They have a wide selection of pies to choose from, as well as other pastries and even savoury food. I had a slice of the Wild Blueberry pie with a mocha. The pie was tasty. I like the texture of the dough. The blueberry filling is a bit tart, but not overwhelming. My only negative is it is a pretty expensive slice, and the portion is not the biggest. The mocha was also nice, and I liked the depth of the espresso flavour along with the chocolate.

They have the best apple crumble pie I’ve ever had!! There was no wait, service was pretty quick and they warmed up my apple pie. I also got the 6inch pumpkin pie, it was alright but I’ve had better and wouldn’t get it again. They had a really nice patio and plenty of seating, it was very pleasant. I look forward to coming back and trying their other yummy pies!
Vivian I — Google review
there are so many choices of pies and treats at wanda’s, but honestly i think the best thing you can get is the pear cheddar grilled cheese — IT WAS PRETTY DARN AMAZING. while the sourdough bread was grilled to a crunchy crispy perfection, the interior was full of warm, melty, gooey, mellow-tasting cheese; a generous amount of wonderfully softened sweet, fruity pear slices; and silky soft caramelized onions. it may not look like an impressive sandwich, but its super comforting and absolutely perfectly for fall. on the other hand, i don’t think wanda’s pies were super lifechanging. they weren’t super fresh, the crust wasn’t very buttery or prominent, and the fillings were just quite sweet and mushy — although it’s not like they were bAD pies. i tried the apple crumble pie, which was full of a strong tart apple flavour; the pumpkin pie, which was like a creamy and light mousse that didn’t have a very strong pumpkin/spice taste like i was expecting??? and the bottom felt a bit underbaked and soggy; the chocolate pecan pie, which was mostly a very syrup-like sweet paste with large chunks of nutty pecan to balance the sugariness; and the carrot cake, which was honestly very disappointing because the frosting was just way too thick and sweet for me. also, they didn’t have ice cream/whipped cream when i went, and my “heated” apple crumble pie was not really warm at all which was sad. there are also a LOT of bees and flies and birds flying if you’re dining in.
Katelynn C — Google review
Star of the show was the key lime pie. Just delicious! Really fun and eclectic vibe, suits the Kensington area well. Fun to eat pie while people watching out on the patio. There’s a piano inside where a patron was playing a silly little tune. I love places like this.

Cool place to grab a pie and a coffee in Kensington market. Staff are friendly and professional. It can be a bit hectic in the weekends, but the vibes are great. Come here for a good bite and cup of Joe.
Assaf G — Google review
Went there to try the World Series, Coconut Cream Pie, that Joe Carter had the morning before he won the baseball series for Toronto. I can see why...the crust was flaky and moist, the cream was light and delicate. The filling of the pie had the perfect sweetness too. Definetly a pie worthy of a championship title. Love Kensington Market atmosphere, with patio sitting in front of bakery. A couple of dine in seats as well. Layout of bakery was good and staff were pleasant. Definetly will be returning to try more of Wanda's pies.
Sally — Google review
I placed a custom order for a German Chocolate Cake (10”) for $70 + tax, and also picked up two small Coconut Cream Pies and a slice of Mango Cheesecake, spending around $130 in total. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with everything I tried. Since this is a local, artisanal bakery, I was expecting desserts made from scratch using pure ingredients, but that clearly wasn’t the case. The coconut filling on the German Chocolate Cake tasted artificial, more like a sugary, out of box, paste mixed with sweetened shredded coconut and pecans, rather than the traditional cooked filling made with butter, eggs, milk, and coconut. There was no depth of flavor, just a strange, dry, artificial icing-like texture. This was meant to be a 10” cake for a group of 10, but I had 15 people at my event, and as you can see from the photos, almost no one ate it. The Coconut Cream Pies were also very underwhelming, lacking flavour entirely. The Mango Cheesecake was the best of the bunch, but still nothing memorable. Overall, I was disappointed by both the taste and quality of the cakes and pies. Sadly, I wouldn’t recommend anything from this bakery.

We stopped here for a quick bite whilst exploring Kensington Market. I liked the unique character, quirky decor with lots of ornamental displays. The plain cheese sandwich, strata and pie all hit the spot.

This quaint spot offers a delightful selection of patisserie classics, cakes, specialty shortbreads, sandwiches, and delectable ice cream. Visitors can indulge in scoops of flavorful ice cream while exploring the variety of cake flavors available, including creme brulee, winter mint, banana split, and snickerdoodle. The bakery also caters to gluten-free and retro cake enthusiasts.
Great little spot with super tasty food, from sweets to sandwiches. Tucked away in a corner shop area of the distillery district. Service was fast and friendly and there were lots of tables available to sit and take a break. Clean and well kept. We have dropped in here before and everything we have tried was fresh and tasty. Today we had a breakfast sandwich on walnut bread which was awesome! Excellent experience, thanks! Lots of tasty treats available to take home from here too!

I frequently come here in the summer for ice cream. I enjoy the Red Velvet flavour, it has chunks of red velvet cake! 🎂 The only reason I did not give this cute spot higher rating is because of their service. The staff are not as friendly nor welcoming and I am sure this is a consistent theme as I have visited this spot so many times over the years. Each time I visit, they provide service as though the customer is an inconvenience

This is such a cute and cozy little bakery tucked away in the Distillery District! The atmosphere is always welcoming, the service is amazing, and everything I’ve tried so far has been absolutely delicious. I’ve had a couple of their sandwiches—which were fresh and tasty—but my absolute favourite has to be the broccoli cheddar quiche. It’s rich, flavourful, and perfectly satisfying. The staff here are wonderful—there’s one girl in particular who always has the most beautiful makeup and is incredibly kind and helpful every time I visit. Little details like that really add to the charm of the place. Definitely a great spot to stop by if you're in the area!

Had two scoops of coconut sorbet and Russian honey cake. Delicious for a hot day, and seating indoors to relax from the sun. Recommend.

For those looking for gluten-free product options that don't lose flavor, this place is certainly a great option. The store is small and is at the end of the corridor of the distillery's exhibition hall. The window is full of options: snacks, savory baked goods and lots of sweets. For drinks: hot and cold options. Service is provided directly at the counter, and after payment you can sit at the tables in the hall. For customers with limited mobility and disabilities, to enter the warehouse, there is an access ramp and the door is always open, and the store has no physical barriers. They do not have a menu in Braille, but they are ready to inform customers about the product options. On weekends, service tends to take a little longer due to the flow of people.

This place is just awesome. I usually don’t write reviews but I cannot stop myself from writing this. The price is affordable, food and drinks are excellent for the price and especially the hot chocolate! Everytime I visit distillery, I always go to this place and get a coffee or cupcake or cookie :)) I have never experienced any issues or problems with the staffs working there. The ladies were super sweet and they also explained my queries softly. 100/100 🤩❤️

Such a cozy and nice place! 😊 We stopped by to have a quick bite and that was just what we needed. Absolutely delicious Tomato-Mozarella panini & chickpeas salad 🥗. They also were able to make oatmilk latte - so that was very cool :)) They also have ice-cream & cakes :) The only concern I had that it is a bit busy - it is located besides public washrooms and there are random people passing by while you are eating. Though it was kind of unusual & cool. Recommended!

Service is awful, and as I read other reviews I’m not the only one who thinks this… there was not a clear line/place to order, so after waiting several minutes to finally ask if I could order, the lady gave me attitude like I was being rude for asking. She then asked if I only wanted cookies, I said no, but she didn’t hear me and gave me the device to pay and I said I’d like a coffee as well. She goes “oh so we don’t want just cookies then.” Like? Passive aggressive for no reason. Acting like everything I did was rude and wrong. Horrible team. Latte is pretty good, cookies are too sweet, probably not the best choice for a stop

Great selection of baked goods and meals. We didn’t like Mac and cheese and sourdough bread, but we liked pastries. Pleasant ambience and nice staff.

This bakery has some good items (bagels), however after having tried their samosas, bagels, spanakopita and pastries, I find that they savory food lacks flavour and was stale/dry. The sweeter items did not leave me craving to come back. 3 stars because service is quick and prices are reasonable. Not excited about going back though..

Nice bakery with freshly baked breads, pastries, cakes etc. There is usually a queue to follow if you're buying something. Many of the items are not price marked. Service was okay, I wanted to look around a bit and check prices but they asked me to get into line without even seeing what I wanted to ask. I didn't want to hold up a line trying to choose which is why I was looking around. There are many regulars at the store. They even sell additional products like cards, small gift items, paper napkins etc. Overall products are good and it's worth a visit for sure.

Yummy, local and quaint bakery. Our favourite is the Lemon Escapade Cake! Lots of snacks and desserts offered with a small hot table in the back. Daan Go Cake Lab is a vibrant and cheerful bakery known for its custom and creatively decorated cakes, pastries, and high-concept macarons. The shop offers a variety of desserts including delicious cakes, cookies, ice cream, and drinks with Asian-inspired flavors like Vietnamese coffee or durian. Their specialty lies in adorable character macarons that top some of their cakes.
I have been taking their cakes for some years now and they are really good. The consistency is worth mentioning. Their cakes are not too overpowering sweet while having a good balance of taste and color. I would keep having their mango cake for many years to come. Hope they open up a franchise in Durham as well.

We ordered our wedding cake from Daan Go and it was absolutely the best. The taster set (which you can use towards the final price of the cake) allowed us to sample many flavours at once and then decide on the one we loved the most. The ordering process was simple and fast, they showed up during the delivery window and set up just as planned. It was easy and stress free - which is exactly what we needed on our big day. The cake itself tasted just as good - or even better - than it looks (we did pistachio) and our guests absolutely loved it too.

4.5 stars - the store front is in an unassuming plaza. It's a little sparse but the offerings are super cute. I ordered the celebration pig online and pickup was a breeze. The cake was so cute! The recipients loved the attention to detail including how the inside layers look a bit like the layers of a roast pig 😆. The chocolate crunchy layer was also nice in mimicking the crispy skin. The flavours were a nice combination but it was just a little sweet for me (probablythe amountof chocolate needed to cover the piggy), but with a nice tea it would probably be perfect. The store has some cute cakes, macarons, and ice cream for direct pick-up too if you don't want to order ahead.

The HK milk tea here is sooooo good! Smooth and silky, but strong the way it should be. Enjoyed the HK milk tea cake slice and the Pandan cake slice. Not too sweet, creamy and light and perfect. Highly recommended.

Amazing customer service! I came to the Midland location last Friday, August 8, 2025 around 11:30am to pick the merchandises that I bought online. I also bought some ice creams and macarons. I received outstanding customer service as there was only 1 staff there on that morning. He was so helpful and courteous. He went about above and beyond in trying to find the flavour of the ice cream that I was asked about. He totally deserved a promotion or a medal! I should also add that the quality and the flavours of the ice creams and macarons were outstanding as well.
Jennifer Y — Google review
We got a small box of macaroons from Daan Go Cake Lab to celebrate my father's birthday. Everyone in my family enjoyed them and said the flavours were really good. We were surprised at how accurate the flavours were without being overly sweet. Flavours we got in order of the macaroons from left to right: Passionfruit, Pistachio, Tiramisu, Milk Tea, Hazelnut chocolate, and Mango. We definitely plan to return to try other desserts in the future.
Chris M — Google review
I ordered their cake jars from Skip (milk tea and vietnamese coffee flavours) since they looked so cute, but they were surprisingly inedible. The cream layers were icy all the way through, with visible ice shards, like the product was sitting in a freezer for too long. Their other offerings, like the cake slices with imaginative flavours and adorable character macarons, are far better, so I suppose the rating should be closer to 3.5 stars, but do not order the cake jars!

Bakerbots Baking is a trendy bakery located near Ossington Station in Toronto, offering a diverse selection of cookies, sweets, ice cream sandwiches, and coffee drinks. The bakery provides an assortment of pies, tarts, cakes, cookies, and ice cream to satisfy your sweet tooth. It's the perfect spot for a quick treat accompanied by refreshing ice cream on a hot summer day.
We stopped in for iced coffees and some sweets. They have a great selection of sweets that they make in house; tarts, cakes, cookies and ice cream. Our iced americanos were great and we really enjoyed their pecan butter tarts. Couple things to note: No washrooms available. If they do, they were not clearly marked or clear to customers. They did have hand sanitizer available. They do have limited seating indoor and a couple spots outdoor. It’s a very small shop and the products are quite good. However it is not a spot that’s easy to sit and enjoy your order. I would recommend for take out.

So much to choose from! Ended up trying the pecan butter tart and it was the best I had. The inside was gooey. Will have to try their carrot cake next time! Friendly staff too. Update: Carrot cake is my all-time favorite dessert and I finally got a chance to try it here. It's the best I've ever had! It's moist, not overly sweet, and has an amazing texture.

Lovely bakery cafe! They offered plenty of options for cakes/bakery menu which all looked V yummy I tried the carrot cake and the sweetness level was perfect. It’s more of a home baked style cake, which made it more special. The sitting area is also very nice, with vintage furnitures adding up to its cozy vibe Would’ve been a regular customer if only I lived nearby 10/10

Amazing baked goods! Same owners as bang bang ice cream on Ossington, so you know it’s top tier quality and taste. My family and I’s favourites are the craq puff, sticky bun, cinnamon bun, and brownie! You honestly can’t go wrong with any baked good here.

Visited EVERY OTHER DAY during my stay in Roncy! In terms of variety and sophistication, best bake shop in the neighbourhood and possibly the best I’ve had in Toronto. My favourites are their cream puff series and the seasonal fruity chiffon cakes 🍰 both options would be best suited for those who aren’t into overly sweet treats. The mango and coconut chiffon cake is still my favourite of all the items I’ve tried. It’s light, refreshing, and flavourful - the best kind of cake for summer and doesn’t leave you feeling heavy. All their cream puff flavours are delicious, tried their vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, lemon and caramel. I must say that the caramel definitely left an impression as it tasted more burnt and Smokey, which is quite different from what I was expecting, in a good way so the sweetness wasn’t over powering at all. Highly recommend!

I wish I had the appropriate words to describe how every bite there feels. Everything is just that good. And the spot is very welcoming. I first went to try their delicious and viral banana pudding last year, but I had to come back to try more. The gluten free brownie, the jalapeño scones and their classic cinnamon rolls didn’t disappoint at all. Everything was amazing. Coffee was pretty outstanding too. The brownie, omg. I will come back for more. Soon. —— I just came back again 😂 to try the double moist mayonnaise cake. Please try that one too. Try everything.
Oriana R — Google review
Wow!!! This bakery is an amazing find in a city of tourist trap bakeries! Every item in there is so unique that i was stressing out when it came my turn to pick what i wanted. I ended up choosing a staple, a chocolate and lemon combo, in my the chocolate ganache cake and lemon curd crème puff. The chocolate cake was so decadent yet the chocolate wasn’t all that sweet so the combination made the cake just perfect! I wanted to try something new, and i saw the crème puffs just looked so pretty that i needed to get one. The puff pastry was perfectly well made, the creme as well was splendid, but i feel as if the combination of the very sweet creme and very sweet lemon curd, was just too much that you couldn’t take very many bites. It was also soggier than i would have liked it, but that was also because i tried it at the end of the day, so it was probably my fault for that reason. I really wanted to get their banana pudding but i didn’t see it until after i ordered and i didn’t want to over do it. Only other downside i would say is that it is a very small inside and only so many people can fit, and when you are ordering, it feels overwhelming and overcrowded. But I would definitely come back here again and recommend to anyone visiting toronto!
Ana C — Google review
Tried their pastries and desserts for the first time. They had a huge selection of different pastries, cakes, cookies, etc on display. I got a few items and I thought it was just okay, it could be because the items I chose had really similar flavours. I also got the banana pudding that everyone’s been talking about and I thought it was pretty good. Staff were super kind and friendly as well.

Coco's neighbourhood coffee shop is a popular spot in Little Italy, Toronto, known for its top-notch breakfast sandwiches and delectable sweets. The owner, Nicole Bilyea, has transformed the space into a haven for coffee enthusiasts and foodies alike. The cafe boasts an array of mouthwatering pastries and a solid selection of coffee options. Visitors rave about the heavenly breakfast sandwich and giant chocolate chip cookies.
I love discovering little gems, and I think I may have stumbled upon one today. The space is so charming, warm, and inviting. The coffees are very reasonably priced, but it’s the treats that really steal the show - everything looked so delicious I was practically drooling just looking at them. One peach cookie in particular caught my eye. They looked like real peaches and the details blew me away. I’ll definitely be back to try it. It was quite warm inside, so we were glad to retreat outdoors with our cold brews. While indoor seating is limited, there’s plenty of outdoor seating to enjoy.
Angela A — Google review
I came here specifically to try the chocolate chip cookie and I'm sad to report it's not a good cookie. Especially if you're a chocolate chip cookie enthusiast. It doesn't really have a robust flavour profile or superior texture. Just hard crunchy chocolate chips, sweet as the only flavour profile. BUT everything else about the cafe is great. I tried the coco caramel latte which had a wonderful subtle background flavour of nutty coconut. I would recommend even if you don't like coconut usually. The ambiance is also very cozy. Was a bit hot in there though. Overall would recommend!
Amanda — Google review
cocos neighborhood coffee shop is super quaint, a great place to do some work (although quite busy), and all the staff are super friendly. PLUS the breakfast sandwich and scone were PHENOMENALLLLLL !! the apple cheddar rosemary scone was actually so incredible, it was the most wonderful combination of flavours. the outside was crunchy and crusted with deliciously salty cheddar, while the inside was bready and soft, but not dry. the pungency of the cheese was beautifully complemented by the AROMATIC and FRAGRANT and sage-y rosemary, and all the savoury flavours were balanced by a subtle, but sweet and bright undertone from the apples. the only thing was that i wish they could’ve warmed it up for me. also, the angel breakfast sandwich was just as delicious and something that you MUST get — it’s definitely one of the best in toronto. the biscuit is super soft and mushy and warm and comforting and had melted cheese all over it. the bacon was smoky and crispy and savoury and salty, and it was lying on top of a thick, soft egg frittata. i absolutely LOVEDDDD the sauce they added — it was described at hot honey butter, but it tasted more like an aioli or sweet mayo to me , but it was a really amazing tangy sweet-ish kick to the slight oiliness and savouriness of the biscuit and bacon. i also tried their big cookie, which was pretty nOrmal i would say?? like it’s really well made, but it wasn’t revolutionary. it had a crunchy baked exterior and a chewy soft (but not underbaked) centre, and it was very much LOADED with sweet chocolate chips. i loved pairing it with a warm, frothy cup of milk.
Katelynn C — Google review
The baked goods are definitely the highlights. I love the goat cheesecake. It’s light and moist. The texture feels more like a melting ice cream. The coffee drinks are bit watery just to my taste. Breakfast sandwiches are a must try.

Coco's is a cute and cozy coffee shop located in Little Italy. We were in the area and decided to check this place out. I ordered an Iced Matcha Latte with oat milk and my boyfriend got one of their special lemonades. His drink was pretty sweet and tart. My matcha latte was good too, it was earthy, sweet, and creamy. The place is decorated very cozy with dark wood furniture, patterned wallpaper, and green plants. We came around noon and were surprised to find that most of the seats were taken. It was slightly full but there was still space for us. There's a seating in the area in the back that looked nice too, but it was a no laptop zone. It's a nice place to relax with company, enjoy a snack and drink, and to work on things. We sat at a table right in front of the main counter. It is a little dark the more you head inside the coffee shop. I did bring a book and my journal but didn't like the lighting so I was just on my laptop. Service was helpful and Coco's definitely lives up to its name.

I've been here quite a number of times now and it's a very popular and busy place. Which is great for the business. If you find yourself a seat, consider yourself lucky! :D Coco's has a wide variety of yummy drinks, pastries and the sandwich they serve with bacon is also very yummy (you can also get it without bacon). The barista's are all lovely and good at their job and quite quick too. This place is located on the first floor but has a second mini floor with more seating. There is also outdoor seating available when it's warmer out (or colder... you do you!). I'd totally come here just be aware that this place can get quite busy and you may not find a seat depending on the hour.

This is a cozy neighborhood place! My sister got an oat milk chai and I got earl grey shortbread. I did not get a photo cause we were busy playing chess! I love that they provide chess pieces and a built in board to play while you dine in! The chai latte was great, the flavor was not watered down and spiced nicely. The shortbread was soft but not crumbly, was surprisingly yummy. The staff are friendly and the atmosphere is cozy and welcoming. They had other baked goods that looked good.

Influenced by French and English pastry traditions, the patisserie's offerings combine elegant traditions with rustic charm. Visitors can indulge in European-style pastries that are as photogenic as they are delicious.
It's a hit. They're not f in around. Hand rolled puff pastry is the signature, buttery, light and crispy. I had the sausage roll and the chicken pot pie. Both were great. Seasoning on the sausage was flawless with just the right balance of savoury spices without being over powering. Chicken pie was creamy and hearty, if I would critique I'd say they could add more filling volume and salt, but both were satisfying and delicious. Service was lovely, friendly and helpful. They could use a small counter or high top and bar stools though.

I drove from North York today to pick up a chocolate cake for my birthday and it was well worth the drive! The cake was moist, had a chocolate pudding-like fudge icing and it wasn’t too sweet. It was my first time there so I picked up a few other things I had seen good reviews about…lemon bichon - great, crunchy, flaky exterior with a lovely lemon curd inside. Chocolate chip cookie was also tasty, I will have to give it a solid tasting tomorrow as I don’t have enough room left in my tummy today! Lastly the sausage roll, my husband said it was the best one he’s had since we visited England a few years ago! I wanted to also take a moment to thank the lovely staff member who helped me, they had a lovely energy and were clearly fans of the treats they were selling. Thank you and I hope to see you again!

SO good! Third year in a row getting my birthday cake here: the butterscotch apple mille feuille is unbelievable. And the pastries... All of them are incredibly good! 100% recommended
Berta C — Google review
I popped into this little spot specifically for the Lemon Bichon after a friend insisted it was a must-try - and that I had to pick the one that looked the most burnt. Challenge accepted. If you’re a lemon dessert lover like me, this bichon au citron is going to blow your mind. Think of a flaky, golden puff pastry, similar in shape and size to a turnover, but filled with the dreamiest lemon curd. The outside is coated in sugar, some of which is caramelized for that sticky, slightly crisp texture. The contrast of tangy, tart, and sweet, paired with the buttery pastry layers? Absolute perfection. This might just be my new favourite lemon treat. There’s no indoor seating, but trust me, it’s worth grabbing to go - or better yet, snag a seat on the bench out front and savour every bite.
Angela A — Google review
My go to spot for lemon bichon. I love how irregular shaped the pastry is and how buttery it is. There is a nice crunch when you bite into it because of the caramelized sugar followed by a nice chewy texture. The inside has a very small filling of lemon for a zesty flavour. I have been here 3-4 times and it has never disappointed.

It has been extremely hard to get in touch with someone. It has been over a day now and they have not responded and I need the item for tomorrow. This business clearly doesn't care about customers unless they have paid already. I did not want to make a purchase until they confirmed that the request was possible to complete as I would lose money if it wasn't possible. Very poor customer service. Update: they got back to me within 40 mins after I left a bad review. Clearly their Google reviews are more important to them. My request is not possible as they are not a nut-free bakery. Therefore it is good I did not order on their website beforehand. Just a heads up for anyone looking for nut-free baked goods, they don't offer that here.

Kwento is a cake and pastry business known for its visually striking cakes that are not only beautiful but also delicious. Shannon Nocos, the owner, draws on her background in graphic design to create stunning cakes using color theory and composition. Customers have praised Kwento for their exceptional service, with staff members like Maria being particularly helpful and kind throughout the ordering process. The bakery offers a variety of flavors, with the Ube flavor receiving high praise from customers.
We used Kwento for our wedding cake and had an amazing experience! I sent Maria a few photos of cakes online that I liked the look of and they created an absolutely beautiful cake that everyone at the wedding absolutely loved! Working with them during the planning process was extremely easy. I highly recommend working with them for your wedding!!

We had our wedding cake made by Kwento and were so happy with how it turned out! We sent some inspiration photos along with our wedding colour palette and picked a flavour (salted caramel). The cake was delivered on time and we were thrilled with the look of it. People ate it so quickly we didn’t even get to pack up a slice for our first anniversary!

We worked with Kwento for our wedding cake, and it was truly the best wedding cake we’ve ever had (and tasted)! We gave the team our wedding colours and a few ideas, and trusted them to bring their creative vision to life. Highly recommend, 10/10, no notes.

I lovee my cake!! I had sent a few inspiration photos from their insta and communicated with them on what they could do. I originally wanted to add fresh flowers, but could not fit them into my budget, so I really love and appreciated that they piped some flowers to my cake 🥲 it's as whimsical and fun as I hoped it would be although, I do wish there was more pink. My only issue is that after responding to my initial email they ghosted me for a week, and even took a few more days to respond to my follow up email! I thought that I wasn't going to be able to get a cake from them, but I'm grateful I did. She's a beaut!

We used Kwento for our wedding last year. They delivered a beautiful, classic-looking cake, which was exactly what we wanted. The Citrus Olive Oil flavour was amazing, so many guests complimented it! Overall, Kwento was amazing to work with, especially Maria!

Tried the ube cupcake at Kwento and it was so delicious! The flavor of the ube really came through. It not too sweet, earthy, and perfectly balanced. The texture was soft and moist, and the frosting was just the right amount of creamy without being too heavy. What really stood out, aside from the flavor, was the presentation. Each cupcake is decorated with so much care’ seriously, they’re almost too cute to eat (almost!). You can tell there’s real love and creativity behind every treat. There were so many other desserts I wanted to try, so I’ll definitely be coming back. Kwento is such a charming little spot, a must-visit for anyone with a sweet tooth 😋🫶🏻

I was such a big fan of Kwento ( thru instagram) but unfortunately will never order from here again ! The dark hair Asian girl who works at the front in the new location ( helping out the owner) was rude and confidently said that my birthday cake wasn’t ready without even talking to the owner . Mind you we came all the way from Markham to pick up the cake downtown. She stated to come back tomorrow ! We almost left but the owner came with the cake at the front without an apology or anything. It’s very disorganized and the new girl needs to improve her organization and customer service skills.

Dufflet Pastries Wholesale Bakery, located in downtown Toronto, was established by Dufflet Rosenberg in 1975. The bakery supplies a variety of desserts to grocery shops, restaurants, cafes, and caterers across Canada. All their treats are handmade from scratch and include cakes and cookies for any occasion. Customers can visit the Queen West storefront or order ahead for pickup at two locations or delivery via Uber Eats.
I love to go to their pop up sales. I wish they had more brownies. I couldn't get there early enough to get any today. Instead I picked tarts.

Bought a caramel cakelet, the icing did not taste like caramel at all, rather it tasted like coffee. The cake itself was not at all good, it wasn’t even as good as a cheap chocolate cake. 18$ down the drain. I emailed them twice, they did not respond, so clearly they don’t care about consumers. Do not buy it if you like caramel, chocolate cake, or good icing.

Two stars for the excellent cakes over the years. ..and I mean years!! First, we can't go downtown to get cakes, then longos stops carrying the one we like... can't find and 3 of them we'd be ohk with. The retail listing shows many places but no one has the ones we want. Plus the last one tasted off due to being frozen. No more preorder pickup. Ughhh Pure craziness!
Andrea C — Google review
Used to be the perfect shop for grabbing the perfect cake. Now, after many years, I suddenly can’t get my daughter’s favourite cake, because they’ve decided to focus entirely on corporate sales to companies that can’t even order the cake themselves. Good ol’ executive greed.
Alex P — Google review
Horrible decision to close down their retail location. Really not the same fresh versus frozen/ refrigerated for days in store. Those who are hoping for their signature light and fluffy buttercream icing will be disappointed. One of the worst cases of selling out I have ever seen. Never forget where you came from, retail presence is important and gives legitimacy that"just another brand in a grocery store aisle" can't. I suspect this company will fall out of favour in a few years because no one will know how great the origin was and it has no more story except as commercial bakery.
Caton L — Google review
After over 3 decades of cake buying from Dufflets for all of our occasions, I am saddened and disappointed to have to bid adieu to Dufflet's. It was a slow parting as first the Queen street store was closed and only pick up from Norseman and now even that is shut down as Dufflet's chooses to ignore their loyal customer base and focus entirely on corporate sales. Buying from large chains is unreliable as the cakes we have tried have been not as fresh and they cannot guarantee a pre-ordered cake. It was nice while it lasted. The 5 stars are in honour of the countless cakes we've enjoyed from Dufflets over the years - it's the end of an era. We'd really appreciate it if anyone reading this review could recommend a replacement cake supplier of similar quality.
Denise O — Google review
I've heard a lot of good things about Dufflet cakes, and so I was very excited to give it a try. I bought a mocha cake for a celebration and most of us were disappointed. The inside of the cake was dry. The outside buttercream tasted old and was also semi hard despite having been in room temp for about 1-1.5 hrs. No one finished their slice of cake.
Ava M — Google review
I'm disappointed by the systems put in place for placing and tracking orders here. Last year, I tried to have a cake delivered around this time for somebody's birthday. I received no status of delivery update, even on the expected day. I ended up calling the place in the evening and they said they couldn't deliver the cake because of the ice storm (which was understandable. It would have been nice to be notified before though). The staff on the phone guaranteed me store credit for when I purchased the cake. Fast forward to now. I called the number provided online to place and order, letting them know about the store credit. I sent them an email with my order confirmation. The person on the phone said there was no record that the cake wasn't delivered so they couldn't provide me store credit. All in all I wish there was better communication here because now I have a lack of trust in ordering from here again.

Forno Cultura is a stylish and inviting Italian bakery with a French influence, renowned for its artisanal baking traditions. While it's rooted in Italian culinary heritage, the bakery also offers notable French-inspired pastries and breads such as baguettes and croissants. With a commitment to quality and craftsmanship, Forno Cultura has earned a reputation as one of Toronto's top French bakeries.
As a traveler and amateur foodie, Forno Cultura lights everything I love about food. A trip to Toronto is not complete without at least a stop or two here. This is a local gem. The food - pastries - sandwiches - lattes are as fresh as it gets. And you get to see these artisans working their craft. An absolute must enjoy and the people watching is second-to-none.
Chris Y — Google review
Love this place! They have some of the best grab-and-go breakfast options in the city, and the cookies are a must — you really can’t go wrong with any of them. They’re a bit pricey for how small they are, but absolutely worth it for the quality and flavor. Not much outdoor seating, but there’s some available inside for when you want to enjoy your treats on the spot.
Naghmeh H — Google review
I got a recommendation to try this place in Toronto and I have to say that the culinary experience was somewhat underwhelming. Thing is - we went in with high expectations given the buzz, and I was a bit disappointed with the food. Not that it’s not good - on the contrary, if you like bread and pastries, this place does it well - but when it comes to breakfast sandwiches, I felt they were bland. Their coffee s good though - and they have this open kitchen concept which I thought was cool. Overall, it’s still is a place to try given the quality of the ingredients used - but if you like flavors - you might wanna stay away from the egg sandwiches. It’s also on the pricey side - we paid 43$ for 2 sandwiches and 2 flat whites + 1 baba au rhum.
Rana H — Google review
Everything I've tried has been delicious, from the cookies (my absolute favourite is amaretti di pistacchio) to the pizza slices which usually have seasonal toppings. You can tell the coffee is great quality. The staff is really lovely as well.
Christen — Google review
I was really impressed with the quality here! The bread is incredibly fresh and has a unique, interesting flavor. I tried one of their sandwiches and it was absolutely delicious — super fresh, tasty, and well put together. Definitely worth a visit if you appreciate good bread and quality ingredients!
MrSorenaa — Google review
Forno Cultura on King has terrific coffee, excellent sandwiches, and a cozy, authentic vibe that makes you want to linger. The cappuccino I ordered was fantastic — rich, smooth, and perfectly balanced. My partner and I also loved the sandwiches; you can tell the ingredients are fresh and the bread is top quality. One small thing: unless I completely missed it, there didn’t seem to be a clear coffee menu inside. We ended up ordering a bit blindly, but luckily everything turned out great. There’s a chance I just didn’t spot it, but it might be helpful if the options were a little more visible for first-time visitors. The only other downside was how warm it was inside — even on a mild fall day (around 20°C), it felt noticeably hot. Otherwise, this place is outstanding and well worth a visit for anyone who loves great coffee, fresh food, and a relaxed café atmosphere.
Lucas C — Google review
I had high hopes for Forno Culture given all the buzz, but overall it was just okay. The sandwiches were fresh, but nothing particularly stood out in terms of flavor. Bread was decent, but a bit too chewy for my liking. The ingredients seemed good quality, but the combinations felt kind of safe and uninspired. Service was friendly, Prices are on the higher side, and I didn’t feel the experience or food quite justified the cost. Not a bad place by any means, but I’m not in a rush to come back. Might give it another try in the future to see if things improve.
Abby G — Google review
I feel like for a bakery, it was disappointing for the worst part of the sandwiches to be the bread. Very hard and dry, I fear they gave us bread from days before. The much drool sandwich was really good in its fillings but the rest I just couldn’t finish. I’m not sure if I’d go back.

Extravagance extraordinary!! If you really to treat the loved ones in your life, whether that be your soulmate, family member, child, Grandchild or heh! - just your sweet self, this is the place to do it. Delicate, delicious, delightful, delectable delicacies. Decidedly devouring. A large selection of cupcakes, cakes, macaroons, croissants etc - the takeout versions of which come in designer boxes! Flavours and Colours are too varied and vivid to mention, so I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves. Go ahead. Treat yourself or someone special.

Delysées Luxury Desserts is a spot that truly lives up to its name. The pastries and desserts here look stunning, almost too pretty to eat, but once you take a bite, you realize they taste just as good as they look. The macarons are delicate with crisp shells and smooth, flavorful fillings, and the cakes are light yet rich, with layers that feel perfectly balanced. What stands out most is the attention to detail — every dessert feels carefully crafted, with textures and flavors that complement each other. The chocolate creations are silky and indulgent without being overwhelming, and the fruit-based desserts are refreshing and not overly sweet. The space itself is chic and modern, which makes it a nice place to enjoy dessert with friends or just treat yourself. Service is friendly and welcoming, adding to the overall experience. Whether you’re looking for a beautiful cake to share or just want to enjoy something small but luxurious, Delysées is definitely worth a visit.

Beautiful dessert shop on trendy Ossington Ave. Great place to take a break while shopping or dining nearby. The Rocher I tried looked like a giant Ferrero Rocher—chocolate glaze with a crispy shell and biscuit base. Not overly sweet, but still a bit too sweet for my taste. Lots of eye-catching pastries. Worth visiting if you’re nearby, but not a must-go.

Wow, that dessert selection was absolutely incredible! I was completely blown away by the sheer variety and the deliciousness of everything on offer. The interiors were also stunning, creating such a pleasant and inviting atmosphere. The ambiance truly enhanced the overall experience and made it even more enjoyable. I found myself completely lost in the moment, savoring every bite and taking in the beautiful surroundings.I wholeheartedly agree that this dessert place is definitely worth visiting again and again. Terrible experience. Ordered from online platform to pick up the Arc De Luxe bundle of three with their own promo of a free pack of 6 macarons with order over $45. First of all, I never received a call from the store throughout the food preparation period but got told item not in stock only after I physically arrived at the store at the pick up time. Told me to switch for a medium sized whole cake with no macarons but aren’t they totally different things and where are my macarons? If you don’t have the item in stock you should have first set “out of stock” on online platforms, then contacted me to negotiate, not wait until I’m physically in store and say hey we don’t have it you either substitute for something totally different or you get nothing. If you don’t want to give free macarons also, take it off from the platform! Another substitution choice was to pay an extra 10 dollars plus tax to get another totally different bundle with very limited choices and still no macarons. Really disappointing. Ended up being me and my friends finding that there’s actually Arc de Luxe available in store but wrong flavors. It should have come with Midnight Cherry Royale, Golden Pistachio Bliss and Choco Elderberry Noir. But they only had two flavors available, something mango and something with mulberry, meaning no matter what we choose we are not getting the flavor we should get originally and 2 cakes in the bundle will end up being the same flavor. But still, only if we take that wrong flavor Arc de Luxe we won’t need to pay extra and can get the macarons. We were basically kind of forced to get the wrong flavor items or else we don’t get anything we wanted at all. Also the macarons ended up poorly packed and some of them were broken too. Last but not least, it’s worth mentioning the attitude was unprofessional as well. I felt quite uncomfortable with how the situation was handled.
Ruiyao Z — Google review
We ordered takeout and when we got home and opened the boxes, the cakes were sadly missing their shape. We paid over $260 for this and the packaging is awful. I don't think the box even holds 5 cakes. They obviously didn't bother to separate the boxes for us. The food was delicious and the decoration was beautiful, but it was all ruined, which is a shame.

Tori's Bakeshop is a charming bakery located in two spots - the Beaches and the Canary District. It specializes in organic, plant-based desserts, offering a variety of flavors such as vanilla, salted dark chocolate, mini-donuts, and seasonal options like Pineapple Upside-Down. The bakery prides itself on using natural and organic ingredients to create delicious treats like their famous melt-in-your-mouth doughnuts.
My latest discovery on Queen street East. The bakeshop has an unassuming front entrance and is easy to miss - I am so happy I found it. A beautiful and subtly decorated interior feels very cozy, I loved the colour theme - subdued mint/green (with matching "for here" cups!). the counter display is a feast for eyes (and stomach of course!) - I tried a savoury hand pie (with mushroom/lentils filling) and it was absolutely delicious (warmed up). I can't wait for my next visit at the store. Besides the baked goods there is an espresso bar, pressed juices and a good selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. All food is vegan.

You'd also be hard-pressed to guess that these treats are completely vegan that kind of reminds me of childhood birthday parties with their chocolate and vanilla cupcakes and donuts.
Bredgy L — Google review
Nice atmosphere and service, but inedible gluten free pastries. As someone who has tried the majority of gluten free bakeries in Toronto and countless storebought goods, it’s ludicrous that this bakery is charging $5.93 for a single black forest cupcake. The cupcake had a weird texture, it was like munching on uncooked quinoa in between cake crumb. The frosting was overwhelmingly sweet and not creamy at all. I’ve had plenty of good vegan frosting at other bakeries—this was not it. There was very little cherry filling and it should have been a jam-like consistency, instead I think they just soaked dried cherries in sugar syrup. Not to mention the black forest cupcake is a “seasonal” flavor which is how the bakery justifies an extra $0.75 surcharge. Last I checked, dried cherries are available year-round so I’m confused and you should be too.

Plant based bakery offering a variety of sweet and savoury goods. - Potato Focaccia: A bit dry, nice caramelized onion undertone, good density and a bit on the greasy side. - Savoury Scone: could not taste the sun dried tomato but lovely flavour overall. - Peach tart: sweet and good but not enough filling and too much pastry. - Cinnamon bun: excellent, very good. - Butter tart: a bit plain and dry, nice sweetness though. - BLT Sandwich: very good flavour but WAY too greasy because of the coconut bacon. The pesto is wonderful though. Service is friendly and helpful.

One of my favourite patisseries in Toronto. I have been enjoying their delectable pastries, cookies, tarts, and cakes for almost 2 decades now. Quality products with consistency you can rely on. It's a shame I live across the city from them, otherwise I would be there quite often! 😅

I ordered a hot chocolate and was displeased with a couple things 1. They use actual hard pieces of chocolate, which they steam together with the milk. The barista poured the milk into the cup and then plopped the leftover chocolate gunk from the bottom of the steam pitcher, which then they had to mix again in my cup. Leaving me with a chunky drink …yum 2. I didn’t even receive a cup filled all the way . I ordered a large size, and paid over $6. The person a head of me received their drink and had theirs filled to the brim, but my drink was left with about 2 inches of room on top. In the end I’m just disappointed that I paid the amount I did for the quality I received.

Charged for the plaque on my own birthday cake after being told it was free when I ordered it. Definitely not the best customer experience. Response: Since you insist on technicalities, you are correct. You told my father that it was of no charge because he paid ahead of time. Had it been the situation you described, when I came to pick up the cake you wouldn't have insisted that I pay for the plaque. Suffice to say, you have lost our business over $1.95.

I had Rahier on my list to visit for some time and had the opportunity recently. I have mixed feelings on the visit. The items were good. The madeleine and cappuccino that I had were tasty but not the premium quality I expected given the reviews on G Maps. The pastry items (as agreed on by my friend) were good. However, the drinks are massively overrated. I would recommend passing on the cappuccino as it tastes flat and less quality than say a Sbucks cappuccino, which are standard comparison points. For a coconut filled pastry and my small cappuccino (small cup half full) I paid 7.56, for comparison. It's competitive for the area but the taste is only okay. I would recommend a visit if in the area but it is not a top selection for either french pastries or coffee drinks.

Not a big shop but has such fabulous pastries. There is a small patio at front for you to sit and enjoy. The small individual cakes are more costly but good for special occasions. They display so well on the table.

Nugateau Patisserie is a charming, bright white bakeshop located on Queen Street West in Toronto. It stands out as the city's first pastry shop exclusively dedicated to éclairs. The pastries are hand-crafted using authentic French techniques and no artificial flavors. The menu boasts over a dozen variations of éclairs, ranging from simple fruit flavors to more decadent and complex options.
Quite enjoyed the large variety of eclairs they offer. The fruit based flavours cut through the richness of the pastry and it wasn’t overly sweet. I think if you got some of the chocolate or vanilla flavours, perhaps it would be a tad too sweet. But the ones we had were delicious. Patisserie also has a large seating area so you can enjoy in store.

Picked up the most amazing desserts for our family Thanksgiving lunch! The pumpkin pie was scrumptious, with just the right amount of sweetness and the most delectable cream filling. Not impressed and not worth $8.00 for eclairs that were not even fresh. 👎 Great service, but the eclairs tasted days old as if they were left in the fridge and sold to me…. I really expected more from this place…it’s just too bad…

Great place for desserts - loved the pistachio, raspberry, lemon, blueberry, and chocolate flavor eclairs. The pizza was also really yum. Latte could have been better - I Didn’t particularly enjoy the lavender latte. Interior and ambience was great, but it didn’t smell as nice. Recommend this :)

Follow @bredgyeats for more food reviews and posts! Enamoured by their brilliant display of eclairs, I just couldn't resist the vibrant green of the pistachio royale and the flavour combination of the Juliette. The pistachio cremeux encases an airy whipped pistachio ganache, finished with candied pistachios and a white chocolate glaze. However, I preferred the combination of the dark chocolate mousse and raspberry filling, a match made in heaven, while providing a heterogeneous experience as each half is slightly different.

Patisserie La Cigogne is a charming French bakery and cafe located in the heart of Bayview Avenue. It offers a cozy and inviting ambiance, transporting visitors to a Parisian cafe. The menu features authentic French pastries, crêpes, quiches, sandwiches, and must-try staples like Croissants and Chocolate Croissants. Additionally, the patisserie impresses with its Dream of China cake featuring strawberry mousse and passion fruit coulis.
Excellent coffee, food and service. By far the best croissants in Toronto. The food choices are all delightful. I have had small meetings here over the years and it is the perfect setting and the $3.25 coffee is offered as an unlimited cup. They also have a lovely outdoor seating area. Overall, an excellent choice. You won't be disappointed. It's a hidden gem!

Institutional neighbourhood bakery with all sorts of treats, cakes and breads. Can see why this place has such a loyal following: their stuff is pretty and caters to all types of sweet teeth. Been here a couple of times and enjoyed. My most recent visit, we got the cream brioche and mont blanc. Brioche was a tad dry and would have liked more filling. Mont blanc was smooth and creamy and tarty all at the same time. Good amount of seating area. Prices are on the higher side but not unreasonable. Service is efficient. A good stop if you want some treats!

Danforth location: A good hangout on east end for baked stuff and sweet treats. Its carries standard “bakery & cafe” vibes. Their patio is pretty and nice sit out for the quaint neighbourhood. Baked goods are decent and prices are above average. Biscotti, Savoury croissant, turnovers amd latte were tasty. A good alternate for the american coffe shop opposite to it. It was our second visit recently and was sarisfying

An absolute gem on the Danforth. It was like I was transported into France. The patio was delightful and the washroom was clean. They have housemaxe French pastries definitely going to give one a try next time. The staff was pleasant and helpful. But their pastries looked like something straight out of Miraculous.

Love This Place! Patisserie La Cigogne on the Danforth is such a great find. I tried the pear pie and it was amazing—packed with real pear slices and just the right amount of sweetness. The croissants are delicious too—super buttery and flaky, just like they should be. It’s so nice to taste traditional French recipes. Definitely recommend checking it out if you’re in the area!

I purchased 3 croissants. The lady charged me for 3 different items that had different pricing. She said two of them had the same price but all three items had different pricing. The croissants reminded me of Costco. I do not trust or recommend this establishment.

This is an excellent place for a gathering with friends for breakfast or just for a coffee. The variety of french bread and desserts is fantastic. Very legit flavor of a Parisian croissant. The almond croissant is my favourite ever. They have breakfast to dine in (not the best but decent) with service at the table, also ice-cream and the best tea with lemon ice-cream scoops in the area. Their hot chocolate is also rich, creamy and magnificent. Perfect spot if you're in the mood to play some board games while having a nice hot chocolate with a little dessert (wide variety, including eclairs). The owner is such a sweet and attentive lady! Sometimes, they give you loyalty cards.

I used to go to the original location for years. It was superb. Now it just looks good. They now all taste like old cardboard. So sad. Now I need look for a new place. I cannot stress enough how bad all the items were. We tried eight of them. Most ended up in the trash. The latte was so bad we could not drink any of it. Clearly the new owners only care about appearance and profit.

We absolutely loved this bakery not just for the delicious goodies, but because everyone that works here was incredibly nice and patient as we took our time asking questions and selecting our goodies. We wanted sweet and savory: pandan coconut swirl croissant, mango white chocolate swirl croissant, almond croissant, and kimchi tuna roll. ALL of these did not disappoint - super delicious! The tuna roll shocked me, sooooo yummy!!

I recently visited this branch and had a somewhat mixed experience. We ordered coffee and a cappuccino along with some cakes, and while the food quality stood out, there were areas that could be improved. The cakes were absolutely delicious—rich, fresh, and bursting with flavor. They were definitely the highlight of the visit. The croissants and other baked goods looked tempting as well, making it a good spot for a quick treat. However, the coffee was fairly average and didn’t stand out as anything special. The service, unfortunately, was a bit of a letdown. The staff member who served us wasn’t very friendly or welcoming. While not outright rude, it seemed like they lacked the professionalism and warmth that make a customer feel valued. Overall, this place is good for a quick coffee and cake stop, especially if you’re craving something sweet. However, better customer service and more attention to detail with the coffee could elevate the experience.
Al S — Google review
Nice coffee shop with an interesting selection of pastries. There are some unique flavours of croissants but all slightly on a higher price range. The coffee and the matcha latte were great. The place can definitely use some dusting as there were plenty of spider webs around all the ceiling lights!

Delicious, creative looking pastries. I had the Vietnamese coffee croissant. There is a little squeeze container of condensed milk. Very flavorful inside with the chocolate. Not overly sweet. However, the croissant was dry and might have been more than a day old. I would like to try their Basque cheesecake next. Drinks, it's essentially Chatime w/ pastries. Place has ample seating at the time of day we went. Tables weren't being wiped down but otherwise, not super dirty. It has a modern cafe look inside. I've been here when it has been busy, so it depends. Don't expect to park in the area.

A few months ago, I visited Bake Code, and it was a good experience! The outdoor seating area was nice, offering a pleasant view of Yonge Street. The variety of desserts was impressive—not only were they eye-catching, but they were also mouthwatering and delicious. The coffee complemented them perfectly. It’s a great spot for an evening gathering with friends. I highly recommend it Follow me for more local insights!

My friend got me the strawberry cake from here for my birthday and it was amazing! The strawberries were sweet, the cream was not too heavy — everything was just perfect. We finished the entire cake and I’m already missing the taste the next day 😂🤭 Highly recommend!

When I arrived, the place was packed with people, but the staff was quick and respectful while taking orders. They didn’t rush me when I asked about different items. All the pastries were fresh, with a delicate flavor and balanced sweetness. My top recommendation, however, is their cheesecakes. Be sure to give them a try!

Mon K Patisserie is a charming bakery and cafe located in East York, offering a unique fusion of traditional French and Japanese-inspired baked goods and desserts. Run by a husband-and-wife team from Osaka, the patisserie showcases an array of delectable treats that reflect a blend of Japanese and French culinary influences. From classic butter croissants to seasonal matcha Mont Blancs, the pastries are known for their balanced flavors without being overly sweet.
Absolutely the best bakery! Have been coming to Mon K for years and always blown away by how delicious everything is! The croissants (chocolate almond, cinnamon, bechamel and bacon) and danishes (blueberry) are phenomenal! Incredibly flaky, buttery pastry -- delicate and flavourful. We buy their Chestnut buche de Noel every Christmas and it's always a showstopper. Their quiches and ham and cheese baguette sandwiches are super for lunch. They always have a weekly special -- never hesitate to grab one! Highly recommend!!

The prices are reasonable and every pastry I tried was delicious. I went a bit late, so some of the ones I wanted were already sold out. But I picked up almost everything that was left in the display fridge (except the whole cakes), and they were all great. I especially liked that nothing was too sweet. The level of sweetness was just right. Not really a complaint, but if I had to point out something, everything is takeout only, even if you want to dine in. Also, maybe because it’s so popular, many items sell out quickly. I really wanted to try the strawberry yogurt something and the chocolate something cake, but they were already gone. I live a bit far, so I’m not sure when I can go again, but I definitely want to come back for more!

This is my favourite type of small BUISNESS. Owed and operated by artisans proud of their creations. Proud they should be. Wonderful bakery. My favourite item was the puff pastry filled with perfectly balanced apple and cinnamon. Clean and well lit.

My family recently got some savoury and sweet pastries from this little patisserie and everything was absolutely lovely! For savoury, we got their Croissant Sandwiches including Egg Salad and Ham & Cheese. Both were flaky, delicious, and you could tell were freshly made! For sweet we got a Dark Chocolate Tart and two Matcha Tiramisu cakes, which were all pieces of art. The Matcha Tiramisu was creamy, luscious, light and not overly sweet. They were my favourite of the whole bunch and were absolutely DIVINE! We also got four of their Cream Puffs and one Coffee Chocolate Tart. The Cream Puffs were so fluffy and not overly sweet. The Coffee Chocolate Tart was also fantastic. Their other pastries and danishes are luscious! The staff were helpful and prompt at packing our rather large to-go order! This is a lovely place for pastries, whether you’re craving sweet or savoury!

Did you know French croissants made in Tokyo taste better than those made in Paris? Fortunately, we're able to experience the same Japanese influence locally, right here. Everything this little pastry shop makes is the best, including a high variety of French puffed pastry as well as beautiful pies and cakes, prepared sandwiches, salads and more. You will not be disappointed. Upd 06/15/2024 Always the best, Absolutely!

Was here last week with my cousin. Such a cute little place! I had the casse noisette and I highly recommend it! It was SO GOOD. Tastes like a gourmet fererro rocher. 10/10! I also got the pistachio crunch bar…amazing. When I go back I’m picking up all they have in stock. I also got the almond chocolate bar which was good as well but not my favorite. The cashier was very nice too! I’ll definitely be back for more treats!

Nice bakery cafe. They have a lot of bread and pastry options. Lots of comfy seating inside and a small patio. The day I went in I was told that their espresso machine was not working. Also, the wait time was rather long even though there were not too many customers. I think they could have benefited from having 1 more staff working. The almond croissant was excellent. The blueberry tart looked better than it tasted, but was still good. 😋 Overall, it was a good first experience, but I would have liked to have a coffee with my pastry.

A recent trip to the Forest Hill area brought us to find this lovely French bakery cafe. Bought some interesting croissants like almond/honey and banana/coconut. They were gone before I took photos. The other two were coconut and then a mixed berry, also very nice. A couple of lovely fruit tarts and some delicious hot chocolate rounded out a very nice visit. Great place to practice your French too!

I’ve been to this place so many times last year twice every month at least I am Handicapped and in a motorized wheelchair. I was there Friday, July 4 and it was the worst service I have ever received. I asked for crêpes they said they had none. I asked for something else they could not make it because no chef was on duty. I asked for a regular sandwich just ham and cheese. It took over 40 minutes and I did not get my sandwich. I asked for a refund. Horrible service I will not go there anymore I hope this helps others make a decision

Love this place and I went every day when I lived next door. The owner is from France and their croissants are the best. Their coffee drinks are lovely as well. This place sells out fast even though they really don’t have much of a selection and that’s why I gave it not a five star and the ambiance is lacking as well.

Smashing IT! ☕🥐☕ My goodness why did I wait so long to try this place out! Hands down, there's no denying the best French Pastries in Toronto! This amazing and unassuming cute little pastry shop is serving up some of the most amazing and the most authentic French pastries and delicious cakes. Everything is made fresh, simple good quality ingredients as it should, and the moment you bite into any of their many pastries your taste buds will be lit up and you're just going to want to jump up for joy! Because you've finally found that bakery that knows a thing or two about baking the proper pastry. The coffee is amazing as well! So if you're in the neighbourhood drop on off to Fleur du Jour and try as many pastries as you can, trust me you will be so deliciously delighted!

This little pastry shop on St Clair is worthy of legend. Every day they open at around the same time, but it varies a little - it’s dependent on the croissants are ready - which varies a little with the weather. They don’t have a close time - they close when they sell out. If you have a bit of time, try the Brietto - it’s a croissant toasted with Brie, prosciutto and a cheesy creamy filling, absolutely delicious! In the morning they offer a wide variety of French pastries - from the classic croissant to sweet delights with berries, pears and other delicious fresh fruit. The only reason they don’t have them in the afternoon is because they sell out by then! In the afternoon they have divine mousse cakes in several flavors - the Rocher and the Cassis Vanilla are incredible. We keep coming back not just for the food - the owner and staff are always welcoming and makes us feel at home! Pricing is reasonable, but payment is cash or debit only (no credit).

If you're looking for authentic (yet unique) French patisserie in an unpretentious setting, this is it. Everything is freshly baked and delicious. The staff is courteous and responsive and the owner/baker is delightful. Stop in for the Brietto (croissant with brie and prosciutto) and a coffee. Bring home some apple, raspberry or mixed fruit tarts. Everything a real treat!
David S — Google review
I stopped in for a pastry and iced latte. The coffee was good and the pear pastry was very good if a bit floppy due to the lack of a/c on a hot and humid day. The experience was hurt by the flat to the point of rude staff person. It's as if they are trying to be a poster child for the Gen Z stare. People are who they are, but this shop could improve on customer service and the interior environment and it would get an easy 5 stars from me.
B S — Google review
The croissant was excellent; very fresh and tasty. The coffee was good. There is a bit of seating inside. My only issue is that the coffees aren't priced right. How is a cortado and a macchiato the same price as a cappuccino. $5 is much above market price for these drinks with significantly less milk.
Dave — Google review
It's a hole-in-the-wall type of place with the price point of a posh cafe. Croissant was on point. Unfortunately, that's about it. Worst cappuccino I've had in years. It tasted like something poured from a random gas station overnight pot. Service was lukewarm at best. The atmosphere is like an university co-op.

You walk into Goûter and you simply do not know where to look first! Then again, the smells of fresh bread, butter, chocolate pure bliss. I love all the selections of great food. Everything from take out meals and soups to filled croissants, stunning baking and chocolates. In French, "goûter" is the verb for "to taste", and everything I've had so far at Goûter was definitely tasty. The interior smells of the fresh butter they use in their boulangerie, so entrancing! My significant other and I shared their Piña Colada gelato (especially amazing), Banana Chocolate Caramel gelato, Pain au chocolate (très bon!!), Almond croissant (though I think I prefer the filling at Amadeus and Nadege), Kouign-amann (MUST-HAVE, buttery sugary crispy fluffy goodness originating in Brittany, France), Tarte au chocolat (not as rich as I'd hoped), and a super crunchy French baguette (too crunchy for my tastes but I would still repurchase) that we used to make a couple sandwiches at home. There's a market across the road and a No Frills just North at Wilson where you can pick up toppings to make your own delights. The shopkeeper was very polite and definitely has a strong knowledge of French patisserie. She let us sample their new scones - buttery, a bit cheesy, and fluffy, yet with a firm crust, we'll have to get some next time! From what I've seen, they also allow you to pick up frozen Pain au chocolat (and perhaps other items) that you can proof and bake in your own kitchen! I asked about when they usually sell out of their baked goods, and apparently every day is different. If you are worried, you can order in the morning and then pick up your items by the end of the day. They really care not to over-produce so that they don't waste food, and so that their products are always fresh out of the oven. I was really impressed when the shopkeeper said that they make everything themselves, nothing from other stores. Verdict: Definitely one of the best patisseries in the city. We'll definitely be back to try their other products and repurchase our favourites! Looking forward to trying some chocolates, eclairs, and more pastries!

I feel like I'm kind of rounding up here, I would've given this spot a 3.5. The cruffin and kouign-amann were absolutely amazing, but I was so let down by the almond croissant and danish. I pre-ordered ahead of time, but had I seen them beforehand, I likely wouldn't have spent the money. The danish had a hole in the pastry, as if it had stuck to the pan while baking and the bottom had just ripped off (I shared it with my family and everyone was disappointed) - I think grocery store ones are better than this for a fraction of the price! And the croissant was pretty lacklustre, not flaky and full of filling like other croissants. That being said, I think this is a good spot to check out for their famous kouign-amann, which was super tasty and the cruffin was perfectly flaky and loaded with a delicious cream filling!

What a joy to discover this traditional French pâtisserie and bakery right down the street from where I live. After living in Paris for a couple of years and getting used to walking to my local boulangerie, I didn't think that I would ever find this in Toronto. But find it I did, at Goûter that opened up on Bathurst a few months ago. The croissants, pain au chocolat and pain au raisin were perfectly flaky and fresh. By far the "most authentic" that I have found in Toronto (and I have tried a number of French bakeries on Avenue, Yonge, Bayview and Mt. Pleasant in North York). I didn't get a chance to try the baguettes yet (the real litmus test), but I will certainly go back. The confectionery and home-made icecream look delicious, and they have an amazing looking espresso machine that I definitely want to try. All-in-all, a great experience for a newly opened store on Bathurst. I will do my best to help it stay around. -------- OK, I just went back to try the fresh baguette (actually more like a French "tradition" with a harder crunchy crust and a chewy, rather than the soft fluffy inside of a baguette), and it was fantastic. Seriously. I am upping my review to 5 stars. Oh happy day!

Daan Go Cake Lab, located in Scarborough at Midland Ave and Finch Ave E, is a delightful bakery owned by Christopher, winner of Canada's master chef. The bakery specializes in creating charming and adorable macarons personalized with edible images and character designs resembling small animals.
The cakes are really impressive both in how they look and taste. We tried the little duck-shaped one that comes in a mini bathtub, and it was absolutely adorable. It was also really tasty. They had a deal on six cakes, which Kevin, the person helping us, kindly told us about. He was super friendly and helpful, so we ended up trying an extra one. The prices are actually very reasonable considering the creativity and detail in the presentation. I noticed they also have macarons, ice cream, and other beautifully designed cakes. The place was quite busy, especially for takeout, so it seems to be well known and popular. They also offer an alcohol menu, which I didn’t try this time, but it’s nice to know for future visits. Overall, it was a really fun and unique experience. The themed cakes make it a great place to treat yourself or to bring friends.

i want to try so many different cakes from daan go because they’ve got such cool flavours! i got the 3:15 cake for a birthday and honestly it was quite small. the base was really good — it was crunchy and sweet and even though i couldn’t really taste/pinpoint the pINEAPPLE bun or ovaltine , i really liked how it was like a sweet chocolaty ish wafer. the crumbs around the side of the cake were super addicting too. the mousse was jiggly and some parts were definitely sweeter than others, but i think the coffee/tea taste just wasn’t really foR me?? but i thought the macarons were super nice and so were the strawberries. there was also a nice smooth sweet rich white chocolate taste.
Katelynn C — Google review
Had a variety of their single size cakes which was ordered via Uber Eats, physical location on Spadina. And wow the decor and meticulous detail is crazy, I almost didn’t want to eat it because of how aesthetically pleasing they were. I tried the bubble tea, runny egg, pistachio and ramen cake and my favourite one was the runny egg. I thoroughly enjoyed the contrast of the rich chocolate and the light and tart passionfruit. It was very unique and so tasty. I found the bubble tea and ramen cake flavours to be good but didn’t like all the other components in terms of texture like the mochi balls and pudding. The last on my list was the pistachio which was to my surprise as I love anything pistachio flavoured but I found the cake to be dense and dry while the lemon was too overpowering. I would like to try more of their cakes and definitely think the visual appeal of it beats no other!

I was looking for a different cake. Something new and we haven’t had for my partner’s birthday. We got this cake with Pistachio flavour and oh my god, it was hit in my family. Dessert Lady Cafe & Bakery is a warm and inviting spot in Toronto, founded by a talented pastry chef in 2005. The cafe has gained a reputation as the ultimate sweet shop with numerous awards to prove it. Their extensive menu of 350 items includes gourmet cakes, handmade chocolate truffles, French macarons, and more. Some top-selling items are the strawberry shortcake, black sesame mousse cakes, and matcha tiramisu.
Small cafe that is kind of hard to find, but there are definitely some gems that can be found there. My family has enjoyed their ube cake for the past few years and recently, I tried their mango and chocolate mousse cake and their lemon raspberry cake. The lemon raspberry cake tasted a bit dry and was not my family's favourite, but we loved the mousse cake. They also offer other treats such as cookies and biscuits. I am looking forward to coming back to the cafe to try out their individual $10 cake slices, and maybe even their prepared meals (the meatloaf with mashed potatoes caught my eye during my past couple of visits). Overall, this cafe is one of my family's go-to cake places.

Ive never really cared for carrot cake but its my husbands favourite so i ordered it for his birthday. WOW. Sooo moist!!! The cream cheese icing is unreal. And the girl working the cash was so sweet too! 10/10 would order again.

I’ve been to this place multiple times already and I love it a lot. This place has a variety of foods ranging from lattes, sandwiches, soups, tarts, and cakes. They have indoor and outdoor seating. Keep in mind you can book reservations but I found that the employees there were compensating and tried their best to find seating for us. The cake slices are large and flavourful. I personally like my dessert not too sweet so I liked it. Also, the sandwiches are delicious and filling. They usually have specials depending on the season. Overall, it’s a place everyone living around downtown should try out once!

What a delicious cake: Light, moisture, loads of strawberry, melts in your mouth! Wow! Definitely recommend this place and look forward to our next birthday party!

I love their strawberry cake but got the matcha tiramisu slice that was 50% off and this is what i get… i got two slices and both tasted weird and found out that there is a white fluffy mold/fungi… i tried calling and they dont answer the call…. Please dont sell it it’s past expiry…

Food was good, especially the sandwich. The pasta 🍝 had good flavour, however I asked parmesan cheese and they didn't have. The soup and the cheese avocado sandwich were delicious!! I didn't like their reservation table at all. They came to the client's table to tell us they will put a reservation sign, we have 30 minutes more to eat, but "no rush"... Of course you're rushing your customers if you do this. Even though the tone was polite, I find this disrespectful to the customers who just started eating. I hope they find a better reservation system without bothering customers. Also, be aware that there is no street parking 🅿️ around the area. You will have to find one paid one.

Nestled in the vibrant Junction Triangle, Le Dolci Culinary Classroom & Studio is a delightful haven for dessert enthusiasts. This charming bake shop specializes in custom cakes, macarons, and cupcakes while also offering an array of engaging cooking classes and private party options. Aspiring bakers can immerse themselves in hands-on workshops where they learn to craft everything from flaky croissants to Instagram-worthy unicorn cakes.
I had the absolute best time at the Doughnut Making Class at Le Dolci Culinary Classroom in Toronto! The class is about 2 hours long and perfect for all skill levels — even total beginners like me! We were guided by Chef Megan, who was so knowledgeable and friendly. She explained the science behind baking doughnuts in a really fun and easy-to-understand way. You can tell the chefs at Le Dolci really care about both the craft and the students. We were provided with aprons (so you can feel like a real baker right away!), and although the dough was prepared in advance, we got to do all the hands-on steps — kneading, cutting, shaping, prepping the fillings, and learning how to pipe them. Then came the frying (yes, we actually fried our own doughnuts!) followed by the super fun decorating stage, where we got to be as creative as we wanted. What I loved most is that you get to take home all the doughnuts you make — a really sweet bonus (literally 🍩). The class size is small and intimate, which made the whole experience feel very personalized. The instructors are incredibly approachable and were happy to answer every question I had — even though I came in with zero baking experience. If you’re looking for something unique, fun, and delicious to do in Toronto — I can’t recommend this class enough. Whether it’s for a date, a group outing, or a solo adventure, Le Dolci delivers such a well-run, welcoming, and tasty experience!

Today we attended the Stuffed Gnocchi Pasta Making Class with Megan and it was incredible! I enjoy the small class sizes and intimate learning experience. The chef here is very knowledgeable and provides a lot of support during the class making it enjoyable. Highly recommend Le Dolci and this class!

Last night a group of us (10) participated in the bread making class. We learnt how to make challah and babkas. Our instructor, Vanessa was amazing. She was patient, knowledgeable and certainly knew the answers to our questions. She came around and helped those of us who needed some more guidance (namely me) Everyone had so much fun. Positive comments galore. Definitely recommend any of the classes as a gift or a fun evening with friends or for team building! Thank you Lisa.

Honestly, an incredible experience. We had a group of 5 for the Gnocchi Pasta Party and it was so much fun! Incredible chef, delicious food and a great atmosphere. Highly recommend. And a massive shoutout to our chef, Imke. She was warm, inviting, knowledgeable and just so much fun to cook with.

I recently had the pleasure of learning how to make Dubai chocolates at Le Dolci. The class was intimate, allowing for plenty of interaction with the instructor, and well-paced throughout. We each made two flavours of chocolate bars: kataifi & pistachio, and almond butter & coconut as a vegan option. Le Dolci also offers a wide variety of other sweets and pastry classes that are definitely worth checking out! There’s some street parking nearby, and it’s also within walking distance from Dundas West subway station.

Had an amazing bootcamp session at Le Dolci- I learned how to make apple pie, bread, croissants and macarons! Special thanks to Chef Imke! You were such a pleasure to learn from, I will definitely come back for more classes! Also thank you to chef Meghan for the macaron class!

Attended Le Dolci’s “Introduction to Cake Decorating” class and thoroughly enjoyed it. Chef Juan José was personable, friendly and good humoured. We learned about buttercream, how to crumb coat, frost and decorate cakes using a variety of tips. While I’ve been baking for years, decorating isn’t something I do often (outside of using fondant stamps to create cookie gifts). This was a great intro class in a relaxed, fun environment. I’d definitely attend another class or look at an intermediate class to improve my skills. And I got to take home my birthday cake as a bonus!

Padaria Toronto - Midtown is a charming Brazilian bakery that has gained popularity for its homemade sandwiches, cakes, and breakfast baskets. The bakery offers a variety of Brazilian-style baked goods such as bombas, doughnuts, flans, and indulgent Brigadeiro cakes in different sizes and flavors. Customers have praised the cheese buns as a standout item and appreciated the welcoming atmosphere of the bakery.
When you're craving something Brazilian, Padaria Toronto is definitely the best place to satisfy that craving. It always has fresh products, new products, and great service from all the bakery employees. For those who aren't Brazilian but also love good food and great items, this is a place to visit. The bakery is close to several commercial points, three blocks from Egliton station, bus stops and banks. They have indoor and outdoor tables, so if you have your dog with you, you will be welcome. The only part of the store that isn't 10/10 is accessibility: unfortunately, they don't have doors that open and close automatically and they don't have a ramp for walkers and wheelchairs to enter, which ends up making it difficult to use the space. It's definitely worth checking out, here's a tip: eat the pudding, it's simply the best of all.

The staff was very kind and extremely helpful in offering suggestions that I shud get. I got a mini cake with a brigadiero and 3 easter bunny chocs. The cake was alright - the brigadiero was amazing. The chocolates were good. My problem was value for money - too expensive for the quality.

One of the bests! My suggestions:cheese bun(pão de queijo) & deep fried chicken bun(coxinha) These both taste like heaven 😍😍 Their staff are pretty nice & sweet. This has became one of our usual spots in the neighborhood. A nice cozy cafe with great sweets & savouries. They also offer a variety of tees & they use del malo coffee beans which makes them even more awesome!😍 Thanks again

Amazing Brazilian bakery. My favorite is cheese scorn. It’s made with tapioca flour and cheese. It melts in your mouth, so creamy and soft texture. I appreciate they have breakfast food. I get to enjoy the taste of real Brazilian foods. 💓💓💓

A taste of Brazil in Toronto! I don’t live nearby, but I happened to be passing through and decided to check out the place, what a fantastic experience. I ordered pingado + pão na chapa, pão de queijo, mate with lime, a palm heart empada, coxinha, and pudim to go. The only thing I wasn’t too fond of was the coxinha dough, I personally prefer the ones made with potato. Other than that, everything was spot-on, authentically Brazilian and absolutely delicious!

Padaria in Toronto is a hidden gem for Brazilian cuisine lovers. Their salgadinhos were simply divine! The flaky pastry and savory fillings were a perfect combination. The staff was incredibly accommodating and polite, making us feel right at home. While the prices might be a tad higher than expected, the quality of the food justifies the cost. As someone who has spent time in Brazil, dining at Padaria brought back a wave of nostalgia. The authentic flavours and atmosphere transported me right back to the bustling streets of Sāo Paulo. Overall, Padaria is a must-visit for anyone craving delicious Brazilian food. Their salgadinhos are a standout, and the friendly service makes it a delightful experience. We can't wait to return and explore more of their menu.

The coxinha was good. The empadas were ok. The coffee was just ok too. The sonho was under expectations. And overall everything is overpriced like most Brazilian places.

Stopped by for breakfast and loved it! Tried the cheese bun, ham & queijo coalho sandwich, hotdog bun, and dulce de leche iced lattes, all tasty and fresh. Rafaela and Fernanda were super sweet and helpful with suggestions. A bit on a pricier end than chains, but we prefer supporting local spots and try new flavors!

My review is going to be based off eating the spinach and feta pastry and the beauty of this cafe. I’ve passed a few times and the outside is simple yet captivating. That was THE best spinach and feta pastry I think I’ve ever had. It had a delicate crunch and lovely smooth filling. It was perfect. The cakes are swoon worthy, elegant & cute! I fell in love with the interior. Staff were very kind and friendly. Wonderful & whimsical aesthetic!

Super cute decorations, definitely a nice place to shot a photo for ig, the cupcakes and cakes are also very nicely decorated and taste delicious. I joined a cake decorating class here with friends, and it was such a fun experience. The instructor was fantastic. She walked us through each step clearly, answered all our questions with patience, and even gave me a hand when I got stuck on my design. It was a little on the pricey side, but absolutely worth it. We got to choose between passion fruit or vanilla cakes and mix our own colors, which made it extra creative. The time flew by so quickly. As a bonus, we arrived a bit early and tried some of their food and drinks before class. Everything was delicious, and we loved that we could continue enjoying them while decorating. I’d definitely recommend this class to anyone looking for a unique and fun activity.

Recently ordered a cake from here for the first time and it was delicious. No complains about the taste and execution, but when I was picking up my order, the lady behind the counter whose name I didn’t catch (light hair, british accent) needs to drop her attitude, she made me feel absolutely unwelcome there. She couldn’t find my order and was getting visibly irritated by it. Smile and simple “thank you ” goes a long way. I will definitely order something from this bakery again, but will choose a delivery next time instead of pick up.

The friendly shop uses real, whole ingredients that are 100% vegan and avoids artificial flavors and colors. Their products are allergen-free and made with fair trade, organic, and locally sourced ingredients whenever possible. Visitors can enjoy seasonal pies, pastries, and both raw or baked cakes that are naturally sweetened.
My favourite vegan Bakeshop! That staffs incredible and so nice, I ordered the pumpkin spice 4’ cake and they was able to accommodate my changes. Instead of the traditional filling, I replaced it with apple crumble! 10/10 and not too sweet! I also ordered 3 keto cupcakes and a pumpkin pecan square.

This cafe was so cute. It’s a small vegan bakery in Chinatown. I didn’t know it was vegan, and gluten- free going into it. I’m not vegan so I can’t speak for the rest of the customers but I found their baked goods all have a gooey texture, not much of a bite. I got the Blondie, and their chocolate chunk cookie, and it didn’t taste that good. My friend bought some donuts and they all had a salty but strong baking soda taste. The taste of the baked goods weren’t that good, but the service was awesome, the person who helped us was so friendly.
Mich Y — Google review
Had the jam filled cookie and a ginger donut and I gotta say I was happy with the taste and quality. The sugar cookie was 10/10; I will have it again and the donut was maybe 1 minute under done but it didn't really impact the taste just texture- 5/10 The shop is cute and cozy and the attendant was kind. The placement of the info tags definitely need to be rearranged because they were confusing and in the wrong spot. Better than bunners down the street

This is a charming local bakery that specializes in gluten-free, vegan and keto type of desserts! If you are trying them for the first time, it has a different texture from regular pastries but nonetheless I really enjoyed the chocolate chunk cookies! The chocolate tasted very good, high quality. Also likes their selection of Pluck teas and the homemade mint tea, not sweet at all and so fresh! Thank you very much! Id love to come by and try other desserts.

This is a very cute location, the owners are super welcoming and the pastries are clearly made with a lot of attention to detail and a lot of love!! Everything was delicious, no exceptions - my absolute favourite was the peanut butter bar - WHAT A DELICIOUS bite, if I had known it was that good I would have ordered 10 more. This little piece of chocolatey peanut butter delight made my day!!!

Always impressed by the perfection of their treats! Friendly staff and delicious goods. Great place to stop by for a snack or for a treat for friends! Although the writing on the glass/fridge doors are kinda confusing and don't always match up to the desserts There was also a girl making out with her bf over the counter and not paying attention to us, patiently waiting to order. Inappropriate but also understandable 🙄

Olivia's cakes are gorgeous AND delicious, and she was such a treat to work with! Some things we loved were: - The tasting box, from the ease of picking it up to the experience of tasting all the flavours at home - How bubbly and kind Olivia is, and how she really took the time to get to know us during our consultation call! - The gluten-free vanilla sponge option - it was such a comfort to know that one tier of our cake would be available to our guests with gluten sensitivities :) - Olivia's incredible artistic eye - she sketched out what we were describing with regards to fresh floral decor during our consultation call and it was exactly what we imagined. We couldn't be happier with how the final product turned out! - The cake itself!!! We were actively excited to eat the leftovers. Also noteworthy is Olivia's extremely reasonable pricing and how professional she is. Wedding planning comes with plenty of details to worry over, but after meeting with Olivia we had zero concerns about anything to do with the cake beyond choosing between flavours. Thank you Olivia! For any future life milestones that warrant cake, we know who to come to :)

Olivia was one of the sweetest, most sincere vendors we had the pleasure of working with. She has such a passion for cakes, and it really showed throughout our experience with her. Coming from a family who is also involved in pastry, both the quality of the cake itself and the artistry of our wedding cake were really important to us. Following our tasting and design consultation, Olivia delivered an exceptionally beautiful cake that tasted absolutely incredible. Her buttercream is so smooth, and not excessively sweet, and all the flavours were such a hit at our wedding (we went with lemon Raspberry, chocolate caramel, and vanilla bean). Thank you so very much Olivia, with so many upcoming weddings in our family, we are looking forward to tasting more of your incredible cakes <3

She is extremely talented, fantastic a communicating and truly made our wedding cake a work of art. The process from the sample box taste testing to the zoom call for design ideas was seamless. Will 1000% be ordering cakes from her again. Thank you Olivia for making our dream cake come true!

Olivia’s cakes are the best, she is our go to person for our cakes. We have been ordering cakes from her since 2020 for multiple occasions (wedding ceremony, reception and birthdays) and they have always been great. She is professional, she is consistent with her recipe and the flavours, and the cakes are very tasty. Aside from that the finishing of the cakes are amazing. She makes sugar flowers with so many beautiful details and she makes the best fondant I’ve tried in Toronto, not too sweet, it doesn’t taste like plastic like some others. We will continue ordering from Olivia, and referring our friends to her, she always goes above and beyond to meet and exceed the expectations.

This is the fourth cake my family has ordered from Olivia, and once again, she absolutely blew us away—this time with our wedding cake! We chose mango passion fruit, opera, and white chocolate raspberry for our tiers, and every single flavor was a hit. Each one was full of flavour and our guests are still talking about it! Olivia is an excellent communicator, transparent, and provides top-tier service from start to finish. She's not only amazingly talented in her craft, but also a true professional who makes the entire process seamless and enjoyable. Trust me—you will not be disappointed. I cannot recommend her enough!

Olivia was absolutely incredible to work with for our wedding day. Her sincere kindness and care are matched by her wonderful professionalism, communication, and of course her artistry! We had a great consultation session where she was not only receptive to my vision, but also provided her expertise and guidance on the design. We also really appreciated the opportunity to try the flavours before committing to a deposit (which she has an excellent and unique policy for as well). Her prices I found were quite reasonable, and of course they are up-front on the website which was helpful during the planning and budgeting process. In the end we went with the hazelnut flavour (but the option to get different flavours on each tier was also great to have) which our guests really enjoyed. The cake itself was gorgeous and exactly what I had been dreaming of!

Butter and Spice in Little Portugal is a delightful bakery known for its delectable baked goods. The brownies are particularly outstanding, with divine flavor combinations that are both delicious and fresh. Visitors also praise the scones for their delightful taste.
This was my second time trying the slice cake and I am absolutely love these cakes. The first time I showed up and the sliced cakes were almost sold out. This time around I placed an order online and picked up my order today. I purchased Salted Caramel Carrot Cake & Strawberry shortcake. I was welcomed and the atmosphere was awesome. I will most definitely order a bigger cake. I most definitely recommend 🤎
Cathy R — Google review
cool selection of treats, and they’re nice and sweet indulgent treats if that’s what you’re looking for. i tried the salted caramel banana pudding, which was a bit small for the price honestly. it’s definitely on the thicker side, and the salted caramel gave it a saltier, malty flavour compared to lighter sweeter tasting banana puddings that we have in toronto. there were many slices of banana though, so it was still very sweet and had a strong banana taste. there was biscoff crumble, but i wish there was more because i really like biscoff crumbs in my banana pudding, and i feel like there wasn’t enough to create the same distinct earthy flavour and crunchy texture. i also tried the cornflake brownie, which was very hefty and very fudgy. it was vEry sweet and the chocolate sweetness was rich and concentrated. the cornflakes on top were slightly crunchy and crispy, and had a sugariness tinted with maybe a salty caramel coating? not the best desserts i’ve ever had, but it’s a good sweet treat and there are lots of options !!!!

Got a vegan/gluten free chocolate cake slice and wow it was so delicious. The flavour of the cake was great and the icing was amazing! My family couldn’t tell it was gluten free or vegan. My only feedback was the cake was a bit dry.
Chloe S — Google review
I came into the shop and purchased two cake slices, a brownie and banana pudding. The owner is very kind and helpful, the store is very clean and organized. Sorrel and raspberry cake slice - I will not lie, this cake was dry. The flavouring of the ingredients was amazing but hard to appreciate when the cake itself is so dry, even down to the icing. I let it sit out for 2 hours so idk if maybe it was just a bad batch? The carrot cake however, was one of the BEST cakes I’ve ever had in my entire life. So moist, full of flavour and the perfect caramel ratio! Never had a carrot cake so light and delicious. Really enjoyed that slice and if I ever did come back, that would be the one I’d get. Highly recommend. 11/10!! S’mores brownie - amazing concept but I found the brownie to be a bit cakey which is fine, my family are I guess more fudgy brownie folks. But good chocolate flavour, the marshmallow on top was nice too. And finally the banana pudding - I wanted to love this, I really did but I have beef with banana pudding that doesn’t have bananas IN it. Again, personal preference I suppose The flavour was good but not as banana forward as I’d like (again, for obvious reasons) but the pudding texture was nice and the cookies on top were still crunchy after a full day in the fridge. Overall I like the spot, I’m a big advocate for supporting small business especially when they’re female and poc owned. I will be back for that carrot cake in the future.

The only bakery I order from for my birthday cakes! The cakes are stunning but more importantly, the taste is incomparable! I feel like there are a lot of cakes out there that look good but don’t taste good, but not these cakes, the flavour is everything! Favourite flavour is the passionfruit, I dream about it. I also love to support a local woman owner business! The owner is passionate about what she does and that comes through in her delicious treats.

I don't live downtown nor do I drive, so it took me 2 hours to get here and I was a bit disappointed with my overall experience. I bought 4 brownies and the caramel banana pudding. The banana pudding was great, gave most of it to my sister who lives for banana pudding and she loved it. 10/10 for that. The brownies I bought were: Cornflake, Red Velvet, S'mores, and the Everything brownie. Cornflake: This is truly the brownie I came down for. I saw the malted cornflakes and I knew I had to have it. It was as good as it looks too. 10/10 S'mores: The homemade marshmellow was perfect, wow. And the graham cracker bottom was great too. It was so fudgy as well. 10/10 Everything: The pretzel on top tasted stale. You know how left out pretzels get that damp kind of texture to it? That's how it was. It was not crunchy at all. I also didn't really like the add-ins inside the brownie either. I gave this one to my mom but she didn't like it either as she found it to be too sweet, which definitely wasn't an issue for me personally. 5/10 since it wasn't the taste for anyone in my household. Red Velvet: I had high hopes for this one. The cream cheese was great; I took some of it off so I could eat it after I finished the brownie. The brownie was thick and fudgy too, but like the Everything brownie, it had a lot going on texture wise that I just really didn't like. I wondered if there was walnuts or some other kind of nut in the brownie. I am not allergic to most nuts, but I do not eat nuts. And with every bite, there was just something hard in the brownie, it bothered me so much... If not nuts, I wonder if there is something freeze dried in it? Either way, it was disappointing to eat.. 6/10 Overall, it's obvious these brownies are made with high quality ingredients and they're very thick and fudgy. It's just that some were a sensory nightmare for me. The owner of BAS is so charismatic on social media but walking into the quiet quaint store, not being greeted, and talking to an employee in the middle of their lunch break (?) who came off like they didn't want to be there was a bit off putting. Her magnetic charm on social media doesn't really translate to the overall ambience of the store, but honestly that's not her fault. Would I come back? Yes. Would I take another 2 hour transit ride to come back? Absolutely not. Do I think she needs to start selling those malted cornflakes on their own? Also yes! I even took some of the cornflake topping off to eat after I finished the brownie. Overall experience was average. The ones that were good were really good. The ones that weren't so good were still high quality. This is a place worth going to if you already live downtown.

The staff at Ampersand Bakehouse is friendly and provides excellent service, making it a delightful place to visit for treats and hot beverages like their renowned hot chocolate.
We celebrated my daughter’s first birthday at Ampersand Bakehouse, and it was absolutely perfect! Stephanie was incredibly accommodating and a pleasure to work with, making the planning process seamless. The cupcakes and smash cake were adorable. The existing décor was exactly what we were looking for, and the few decorations we brought blended beautifully. We especially appreciated the thoughtful touches, like the kid-friendly toys and a floor mat for babies to crawl and play on—it made the space feel so welcoming for little ones. Our guests had a great time and had lots of positive feedback. I would highly recommend Ampersand Bakehouse for any young child’s birthday celebration!

I wanted some cupcakes as treat and was extremely happy with our choices. We got a lavender type cupcake and a pumpkin spice type. Wow! We’re not normally fans of those flavour profiles but we’re were pleasantly surprised. They were lovely. The flavour was there but it wasn’t overwhelming. The cake was moist and soft. The sprinkles we think are made in house? - if they are, amazing. We don’t normally like sprinkles either but these were identical to the frosting. So sweet but very refined. Excellent offerings and we will be back, if you read this you should give this local spot a try and enjoy!

I love popping into Ampersand with my kiddo! The coffee’s good, the treats (I love their cinnamon apple scones, vanilla sprinkle cupcakes and basically all their cookies) are even better and I can relax while my kid plays with the toy train set. Even better is their recent addition of stocking romance books! I bought a couple as gifts and can’t wait to go back to get myself some new books. I also just ordered their holiday cookie box (see pic) and the cookies were a hit with my relatives. Ampersand is a gem!

I ordered cupcakes for my son's second birthday and they were perfection! The icing is soooooo good and the cake is just delicious! Stephanie was very accommodating and helpful in arranging my order. Highly recommend her cupcakes for your next celebration!!

Highly recommend Ampersand. I was already a big fan of their cookies, but we ordered two dozen cupcakes for my son’s first birthday party and could not have been happier. Seamless delivery, perfect presentation and the flavours (vanilla, chocolate, cookies and creme and pumpkin spice) were out of this world delicious. Not a crumb was left!!

I googled "best cupcakes east Toronto" for my son's birthday and happily came upon Ampersand. They have a great menu, the service was friendly and they accommodated our last-minute order. I've been on the hunt for that nostalgic cupcake experience from my childhood and I'm pretty consistently disappointed with either the cake or the icing but Ampersand's vanilla sprinkle cupcakes were 10/10. Not too sweet but dense and delightful. Baby LOVED his "smash cupcake". We will absolutely be ordering again and visiting when we can.

I had a great experience here buying frozen gluten free cupcakes for my sons birthday this past weekend. They were SO delicious, my non gluten free husband said it was very good, moist, couldn’t even tell it was GF. And my GF friends also enjoyed them. So good I forgot to take a picture!! Next time :)

Absolutely outstanding! We ordered a single tier cake and a bunch of cupcakes for our wedding and everything turned out perfectly! All our guests were raving about how good the cupcakes were. Working with Stephanie was so easy and she understood exactly what we were looking for.

Bonne Nouvelle Pâtisserie is a charming French-Korean bakery located in Little Italy. The interior is adorned with pink walls, gold accents, and elegant archways, creating a whimsical atmosphere. The glass display case showcases an array of exquisite cakes and viennoiseries that are both visually stunning and delicious. Owned by a Korean couple, the bakery has limited daily offerings which tend to sell out quickly due to their popularity.
The pastries are just amazing! I love how the cake and croissant are not to sweet and you can taste the strong flavors. I can't wait to try their new pastries, since their menu is changing. They also sell Hojicha powder which is so hard to find. Btw their interior is just too cute!! Everything matches their brand and I'm so I love with the packing box too!! The staff are extremely friendly

Ordered the Black Sesame Croissant, Coffee Croissant, Peach Riesling Rollcake, Lemon Dream Tart, & Paris-Toronto Not only are these desserts and pastries a work of art, they are delicious! My fav was the black sesame croissant - flaky on the outside, bold & creamy on the inside

Got the zen matcha tart, coffee canele, and a matcha latte. All of them were 10/10 The matcha zen tart was definitely the fan favorite between my mom and I. The flavours was very well balanced, the matcha flavour was nicely prominent and the raspberry filling inside really tied it all together. The coffee canele had a stronger and denser flavour then I was expecting, it was good. The interior is so cute, a great place to sit and hang with gal pals in. The lady in front was very nice, she was having a full on conversation with another guy who came in, felt hospitable. ✨I recommend the Matcha Zen Tart✨

Supper cute store owned by Korean couples, so the cakes are limited each day. They always sold out everything within 2 hours which is crazy. Go early or try reserve your orders online. I highly recommend their strawberry mousse cake ($9), it’s super amazing. However, the Madeleine ($18 for 5, you must buy as a set) I think flavour is not strong enough and it’s quit expensive compared to their cakes which require so much more effort. But overall I have good experiences here will visit again in future.

Amazing service! I preorder couple days in advance because I heard they would sell out. The croissants are by far the best I had, very buttery and crispy on the outside. The cake/eclair were just right, not overly sugar either which was great.
Lina N — Google review
amazing!!! every dessert is not only a work of art, but a truly magnificent balancing of different flavors and textures. my favorite item here was their croissant. the black sesame cream in the centre was no joke - it was an intense and deep sesame flavor that most black sesame pastries lack. prices are very high but it's worth it if you can afford it.

My goodness this special place makes the most delicious croissant and Americano. My croissant was filed with Rose Lychee and Raspberry. Phenomenal combination! If I lived in Toronto, I would go all of the time since they have a great variety of croissants and small cakes. This is must try place for special treats.

Sanremo Bakery is a beloved Italian-style bakery and deli in Etobicoke, known for its use of imported ingredients to create delicious goods. The bakery offers an array of delectable treats, including their famous soft and fluffy signature donuts and custom-made birthday cakes. The Bozzo family has been running this mom-and-pop shop for over 50 years, with the brothers working tirelessly to maintain the bakery's high standards.
We came across this iconic spot by chance while attending a seminar nearby, and I’m so glad we did. The coffee (latte and cappuccino) was great, and they have a big selection of hot and cold European food. One side of the bakery has cold cuts and cheeses, and the other side offers a variety of pastries you can enjoy inside or on their patio. It really feels like a little slice of Europe right in downtown Toronto.

First time here. Extremely organized, well staffed, amazing options, very fair prices and SO fresh!!!! Met Ed the baker. Awesome guy. What impressed me the most was him cleaning tables outside and went back inside and handed out a few free donuts to young kids who had sat down waiting for their dad who was grabbing lunch. Very Classy!!! I will be back for sure. Keep up the awesome work!!!

First time visiting Sanremo - it can best described as organized chaos. I visited Sunday at lunch hour. The place was packed. As someone who has never visited Sanremo before I didn’t know the process so I got into line where the entrance door was. I learnt listening in from others that the line I was in was only for cold sandwiches. So I moved out of line and more into the shop. There was no line for hot sandwiches so I got a meatball sandwich, chicken parmesan sandwich and a mac and cheese. The lady prepared everything quickly and handed me the food and a paper with what I ordered. Then I was paraded to the cash register/coffee bar ordering area. I paid and gave my name which they told me to go outside and get the drink at the drink window. Since I had some time I went into the dessert line to get a few things. People were everywhere but everything went pretty smoothly and quickly. The prices were very affordable. I got the coffee crema (which everyone had sitting outside). It was very delicious. The meatball sub was basic (no cheese) - just bun, sauce and meatballs. It was alright. The chicken parm was better because it had cheese. The mac and cheese was decent - nothing amazing but still satisfying. The coffee was my favourite part by far. I’d go back to get another plus try different food items. There’s lots to choose from.
The R — Google review
Worth the drive. I thought $7.49 for the pistachio crema was overpriced considering the regular felt too small buuuut it's decadent. Worth the trip and worth the price. Pastries are always a hit. I think I preordered doughnuts a few years back. I noticed they were almost sold out by the time I arrived today around 1-2pm. I've yet to try their savory menu. I plan to pick up some deli slices and sandwiches next time.. or food at the hot bar. Great bakery. I recommend giving it a try. Only gave it 4 stars because I felt like the lady at the deli counter ignored me.. but she greeted the two Caucasian men who entered 30 seconds after me. Could be an oversight but just my experience. I still recommend this shop for sure.

There was a big roast of porchetta sitting on the hot table, when I went back an hour later, they were all sliced up & displayed as sandwich form. It was a big sandwich and had a good amount of meat. For the size of sandwich price was resonable. Liked their fresh bread, chew of thick slices of pork, how they use good amount of herbs & spices, loved the spicy heat at the end. Paying $1.25 extra for generous amount of roasted red pepper worth it!

My mom has always loved this bakery but until recently I had never had the opportunity to try it. I finally went in with my husband a few months ago and tried some of their food and everything was absolutely delicious. The staff seemed friendly and the entire bakery was bustling with energy and customers. My husband loves their gelato, doughnuts, pizza and chicken parmesan and I adore the eggplant lasagna, pastas and pizza. I crave this so many times a week but refrain from over indulging. Since we both loved this bakery so much when I decided to plan a surprise 30th birthday party for my husband, I knew I wanted to have Sanremo cater for me. The initial inquiry with Brianna was alright through email and she helped clarify a few things, although I was a bit disappointed as I couldn’t eat at my husband’s party since they only do the vegetarian options on certain days I was a bit bummed out but decided to order the food for all the guests and just got my food from somewhere else for the party. Eliza was a gem when I called multiple times and helped me decide on amounts and made sure I had everything I needed for my event. I ordered around 45 chicken parmesans in red sauce which included buns, 3 full trays of penne rose, 2 full trays of cheese tortellini salad, 5 personal cheese pizzas, 20 garlic breads and a coffee thermos for rent which came with everything needed except non dairy milks! When I arrived to pick up the food, Eliza ensured I had everything I needed and helped load up my vehicle. The guests loved the food so much and everyone took some home as there was plenty of leftovers. The only thing I regret was ordering the garlic bread as it did go hard before guests had the opportunity to eat it but I should have foreseen that. Overall, it was a seamless experience and I want to thank Eliza a million times over for all of her supper throughout my planning process leading up to me dropping the coffee urn off a few days later.

We had a wonderful experience of Cakes at Sanremo. The quality was simply superb throughout our visit. We ordered a strawberry shortcake for my granddaughters, and it was absolutely exquisite - the perfect balance of fresh strawberries, light cake, and cream. You could tell it was made with care and quality ingredients. The bakery clearly takes pride in their craft, and it shows in every bite. This is definitely a place we'll return to for future celebrations. Highly recommended for anyone looking for exceptional cakes and desserts.
Ramdas M — Google review
Stopped in for lunch and immediately saw why this spot feels like a neighborhood staple. By noon the line for hot food and sandwiches was long but moved quickly, so I started at the bakery and grabbed a few donuts and pastries while waiting. The Mortadella on focaccia was outstanding—airy bread with perfectly balanced flavors. My Pinsa Romana, a rustic flatbread topped with cheese and tomatoes, was light yet satisfying, and the pizza’s pillowy crust and fresh ingredients stood out. Everything tasted as though it had been made that morning. They also have an entire section devoted to fresh loaves and bagels, plus an outdoor order window for coffee and drinks. We tried the iced chai latte and pistachio caffè crema—both excellent. Outdoor seating under the awning made the meal feel relaxed and inviting. Fresh, vibrant, and efficient, this place is one I’d gladly return to—there’s still so much more to try.

Some of the cakes and cookies are unique to the bakery, while others can be found at other locations across Canada. The bakery is family-owned and operated, with Dufflet Rosenberg the CEO responsible for creating many of the delicious desserts.
I ordered a baby birthday cake for my daughter’s birthday party from online. Black and white flavour with filing chocolate cream and finished butter cream. It was really delicious and nice. We enjoyed a lot. Customer service was excellent and friendly. I would like to say Thank you Dufflet Pastries for giving a pleasant experience.

My first time ordering from them online. I usually just pick up my cakes at grocery stores that carry Dufflet goods. I've got to say it's super easy to use their online ordering. Once you submit a request, a super friendly Dufflet Team Member will contact you. Since I needed a pickup for Monday (they're closed), The sweet associate offered me alternative dates for pick up. I really appreciate that because I've had other bakeries just flat out shut me down with the , "Sorry, we are closed." AND hang up! Anyways, ffwd to Sunday when I arrived, immediately they greet you w.a very friendly and warming Hello! I picked up my cake w.ease and off I went! Can't wait to enjoy the treats, especially the gluten free lemon tarts for out gluten intolerant guest! Thank you Dufflet!

I tried their banana and chocolate cake with a decaf espresso. The cake was not bad but I found their cakes at their Yonge location are tastier. Maybe they bake them more often, so they are always fresh. Their slice is so big that I could save half for the next day too.

Went here on Dec 13/22 Dufflet Pastries is a sketchy place. This does not feel like a dessert place or a coffee place. Our first instinct was to leave, but we were greeted too quickly and caught off-guard looking at the dirty fish tank. The Asian male server (who spoke perfect English) didn’t seem to understand our order for a cappuccino and a regular coffee. Nor two desserts, one which had to be warmed up. We repeated it several times. Thereafter, the drinks were prepared in the back away from view. Why? He also took my dessert to the far back to microwave, but I saw him standing and talking to someone, and he spent a whole minute holding my dessert under their mouths chatting away. Ewww! Finally, nothing we ate or drank was worth going back for. I don’t know how this place stays in business. Maybe they have something else going on in there that makes them more money.

We had an amazing experience with Dufflet! Ordered our wedding cake and the whole experience was excellent. For the tasting they had all ready by the time we arrived, explained all the options and combinations and guided us to have the best cake ever ( we ended up choosing chocolate + vanilla). I followed up with them a few days before the wedding and they confirmed our order right to the last detail. In our wedding day the cake arrived right on time and everyone loved it! I would also recommend the carrot cake, delicious! If you want a delicious, good value for money and reliable wedding cake provider this is a great option.

Dufflet did our cupcakes and cake for our wedding last November and the results were just what we wanted. The consultation was very thorough and professional and they responded quickly to any additional questions by email. The cakes were an excellent value for the money and I’d highly recommend them for any event.

I personally love everything salted caramel and their “Milk Chocolate Salted Caramel Euro Tart” was not an exception. It was SO delicious and the dark chocolate crust really balanced out the sweet milk chocolate ganache and caramel. Also highly recommend their Pecan tart! Duo Pâtisserie & Café is a stylish venue that offers a variety of treats, including Black Forest gateau and brioche, which are perfectly paired with their selection of coffees. It's been a long time since I had seen and tasted the abundance of pastries displayed in this store. So many pastries, so little time to eat them all. For nostalgia I bought 6 of their mouth watering ones as it was no tax. So I purchased 2x apple, 2x peach, 2x almond crossants. Their pastries surpass even some of the stores that I've been to in Toronto. The filling for some of them were ok but the ones to try was the one with the apple filling. The crust was layered to perfection like in Paris and the sweetness was subtle with the addition of thinly sliced apples. Overall, a nice place to get wonderful pastries and cakes. I will try their cakes next time as it was too tempting.

It's been many years since I've last been to Duo, but it's still as good and clean and refreshing inside. We got the Claire and Virgo, as they were one of the few without nuts and whose flavours appealed to me. Both were tasty and i loved the apple pieces in Claire. The Virgo had a strong coffee flavour that was too much for me but people who drink coffee would appreciate. Definitely will be back to try other pastries but i am a bit disappointed that almost all their products have nuts in it, so I can really only try a few things. Otherwise great experience!

I tried the mango cake and a box of chocolates here and both were really good. The mango cake was definitely my favorite as the fruit tasted super fresh, the cream was light and smooth, and it was not overly sweet. You can tell they use good ingredients. The chocolates were also excellent with a nice variety of flavors and a rich clean finish. The café itself has a really cozy and relaxing vibe. It is the kind of place you can easily spend an afternoon chatting with friends or just enjoying a quiet coffee break. Everything is nicely presented and the staff are friendly too. Prices are a bit on the higher side for the portion sizes but the quality makes up for it. Overall a great spot for dessert and coffee if you want to treat yourself or catch up with friends in a chill atmosphere.

Absolutely loved this place! The moment I walked in, I knew I was in dessert heaven. The display cases are filled with the most elegant and mouthwatering pastries and chocolates — it was almost impossible to choose. I ended up trying a few of the pastries and grabbed a cake that looked too good to pass up. The space is a bit small but clean, and welcoming, with a calm atmosphere that makes you want to stay a while. I also appreciated the unique selection of beautifully packaged treats. The staff were super helpful and patient, even with a line forming. It’s clear that everything is made with love and precision. This is definitely one of those places you tell your friends about. Can’t wait to come back and try more!

Beautiful cafe with a variety of desserts and pastries. I went with the matcha canelé. The outside was crunchy, inside spongy, and had a nice strong matcha flavor. Blackbird Baking Co. in Kensington Market and Riverside offers a delightful array of baked goods, including baguettes, bread loaves, cakes, tarts, and buns. The principal owner and chef, Simon Blackwell, comes from a long line of family bakers and specializes in hand-crafted sourdough that is slow-fermented to perfection. This bakery has become a staple in Toronto's bread scene since its opening in 2014.
Best bakery in town, love their Cannelle, Croissant and chocolate cork. Mari was very gentle and kind with us.

The bread at Blackbird has its own flavour, their subtle yet unique taste will fill your nose from a block away. My nose always pulls me back in, I can’t just walk by their tiny storefront! I love the wide variety of breads, we’ve tried many new types but my favourite remains the focaccia. My dad loves the sourdough ryes, my mom loves the pastries and my sister is on my team, team focaccia. I often stock up and bring bread when I go visit my fam. It freezes well but you’ll have to slice any unsliced loaves yourself. It is a little on the pricey side and they stopped making my favourite focaccia (pecorino) almost a year ago but it remains on the menu which makes me hopeful and then disappointed every time I go. The original taste is owed to the sourdough starter that’s been a family heirloom of sorts. Mad respect. Make sure you go earlier in the day if you have a specific or tall order as some breads sell out and they’re all made early in the morning.
Tyne G — Google review
oh my god these pastries were delectable. We went early on a Monday morning, and while a lot of the neighboring stores were closed, the smell of fresh pastries really drew us in. I had the pesto tomato pastry and also the almond croissant. Both were so fresh, flaky, and full of great flavor. This might have been the best almond croissant I’ve ever had. Loved it

Delicious baked goods in an interesting neighborhood! I had a drip coffee and a kouign-amann. As soon as I finished my pastry I wanted another. Updated , I’m glad to hear that . Thank you for your response. I’ll visit again on the weekend. ======================== The multigrain bread is fresh and soft. Even though I ate it right after buying, I noticed quite a bit of stale smell and aftertaste. I’m curious if there’s a particular reason for using a lot of preservatives. I’d appreciate it if you could share the reason in the comments.

The Grand Order of Divine Sweets, located on Queen West in Toronto, is a quirky bakery and cafe that offers a unique selection of cakes, cupcakes, and chocolates inspired by fantasy, sci-fi, and comics. Previously known as Cake Cove in St. Clair, the establishment faced a setback due to a flood but managed to recover with the launch of The GOoDS. Customers have praised the artistry and talent displayed in their creations such as the Surprise cake and Harry Potter Sorting Hat cupcakes.
The Cookies and Cream snack cake at Grand Order of Divine Sweets is a treat that lives up to its name! The cake itself is decadently soft, with layers of rich, creamy filling and vanilla sponge that taste like the best mix of cream and cookies you've ever had, but elevated. The sweetness is balanced perfectly, making each bite indulgent but not overwhelming, with that classic cookies-and-cream flavor shining through. The cafe itself has a cozy, whimsical vibe, perfect for anyone with a sweet tooth and a love for fantasy-inspired decor. From the playful decor to the wide array of creative, delicious treats, it's a dessert lover's paradise that makes you feel like you've stepped into a fairytale bakery. The service is also very warm and friendly which made it a very pleasant experience! I also tried their pumpkin spice iced latte and it was really good - with whipped cream and caramel drizzle on top, it tasted like winter in a cup.

Stopped by The Grand Order of Divine Sweets and had a Dark Side Coffee and a Red Velvet cupcake — and OMG, life-changing. The coffee was bold in the best way, and the cupcake was fluffy, rich, and basically happiness in buttercream form. Plus, the staff were super friendly and so helpful — the kind of people who make the whole visit feel extra fun. Such a geeky little gem with treats that truly deliver. Can’t wait to go back!

Grand Order of Divine Sweets is hands-down one of the most impressive dessert shops in Toronto. Everything they create is almost too beautiful to eat and the level of artistry is incredible. But the real surprise is that the desserts taste even better than they look. Rich flavours, great textures, and absolutely no shortcuts. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about what they do. You can tell a lot of love goes into every detail. If you’re into high-quality sweets or unique, themed creations, this place is a must-visit.

Such a cool and cozy spot dangerously close to my place with death by chocolate shot better than spots I tried in Belgium. Amazing store and the staff are nice too. I picked up a lavender white chocolate bar which I can't wait to try. I loved the interiors which had a lot of Halloween decos around and it looks spotless. The counter had nice big slices of chocolate cake which I'm going to try next time. They have lots of stuff for everyone and their custom made cakes look great too.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting this dessert shop, and I was quite impressed by their chocolate creations and overall atmosphere. This spot is ideal for picking up fandom-themed gifts, special occasion treats, or simply satisfying your sweet tooth. They also offer a range of gluten-free and vegan options. During my visit, I tried their Apple Crumble Snack Cake, which was the featured flavor of the month. It was the perfect size for sharing with a small group, and easily portable. However, I found it a bit too sweet to eat on its own, but it complimented a cup of unsweetened tea nicely. The shop also offers other Snack Cake flavors like Cookies & Cream, Red Velvet, and Caramel Sea Salt throughout the year. I also ordered a cup of hot chocolate, which was made with real chocolate, and perfect for the chilly day. I also noticed they carry Sloane tea, which earned the shop some brownie points in my book. The staff was friendly, and the shop's décor is cozy, with a few tables up front where you can sit and enjoy your treats.

The samples I left with made me wanting to come back for more. See you soon, 5-star across the board (food, service and atmosphere). If you're a chocolate lover, as I am, look no further than here.

The Goods is my go to for Red Velvet Cake in this city. This place is known for innovative delicious treats- going above and beyond to make sure you’re satisfied. Had an amazing experience coming by for the tasting weekend! Sampled the new cookies and cream clusters - my favorites from the new selection

Cheese Garden Japanese Cheesecake in North York is a modern dessert shop that offers a unique take on traditional Japanese cheesecakes and matcha sweets. Their menu features indulgent treats like the Uji Matcha Tiramisu and Double Fromage Cheesecake, both of which are highly recommended. Additionally, they offer limited edition desserts during the summer featuring Japanese white peaches. While some items may sell out towards closing time, the overall experience is delightful with friendly service and delicious offerings.
So so yummy! I ordered Uji organic matcha tiramisu, baked cheese tart, Double fromage cheesecake, Yaki pudding cheesecake (original) via UberEats. Uji matcha tiramisu was everyone's favorite! 5/5: For delivery, they come with a small container of matcha powder on the side for you to sprinkle it on top. I should've used a sieve to make it pretty but I couldn't wait. You simply must try the matcha tiramisu. The cream is so silky and soft, it melts in your mouth. They layer the tiramisu with as follows starting from bottom: sponge cake, matcha cheese cream, sponge cake, cheese cream, then sprinkled matcha powder. The matcha flavour is very decadent and oh-so-pleasant. If I were to point out something minor.. I found the texture of the cake a bit like a dry sponge, so it wasn't soft enough to fully compliment the cream. To elaborate: When I took a bite of this tiramisu, I would have the cream melting in the mouth and need to chew on the sponge cake instead of having the cake melt alongside the cream. Nonethless, this tiramisu is a must try. The matcha they use has great quality and flavour, and their cheese cream has a nice soft cheese flavour. I recommend buying two if you're going to share with other people. Baked cheese tart 4/5: The cheese filling in this tart is RICH. With a small slice of this tart, your mouth will be full of the cream cheese goodness flavour. The filling has a soft light texture but comes with a full and bold flavour. If you prefer a milder taste of cheese, you may not enjoy this tart more than one bite because one bite was enough for some of us to start craving something savory/spicy to balance the powerful cheesy richness. The tart crust is super flaky! I gave one star less because it was a bit tough to cut this tart into slices. Double fromage cheesecake 4/5: it's got a nice soft flavour of cheese. Beautiful cheesecake. If you get delivered, keep it out in room temp for some time before serving. They come from their freezer so it needs times to thaw. But once it's ready, it's a nice treat. Yaki pudding cheesecake (original) 2/5: unfortunately for us, it just wasn't it. I couldn't taste much of cheesecake flavour. The pudding is soft, it's got a layer of sponge cake on top. Compared to the other items we got, this once was just too sweet for our taste. I apologize to those who enjoyed this but it just wasn't one for me. But if you like caramel flavour, please try! Overall, I would highly recommend anyone to try this place. The packaging is cute too.

Went to this location with my friends shortly after dinner in the area. The place was schedule to close a little over a hour after we arrived. When we arrived it empty so we were able to find seats very quickly. A couple items were already sold out (including the Uji Matcha Tiramisu I was planning to get) but it's expected since it was the end of the day. We ordered the last of their puddings and a Matcha Double Fromage Cheesecake. The Yaki Pudding was very silky and I really enjoyed the complimenting texture of the pudding with the cheesecake bottom. The Fromage Cheesecake took some time to come out possibly because it needed to defrost it a little before serving it but they did divide up the cake into our requested number of slices which was great. Overall the cheesecake was delicious; I think the cream cheese layer might have still needed a bit of time to defrost but the matcha layer was very rich and I quite liked it.

Have returned, multiple times. If you're ever in Toronto and need some Japanese style cheesecake - this is it. Skip uncle and come here instead. A consistently high quality experience and product, with bright cheesecake flavours that won't leave you feeling too bloated or like you'll get diabetes. They're not the biggest, though each should serve 4. Recommend the Matcha. Takes AMEX. $23per cheesecake.
Robert Z — Google review
Sad that they’re always sold out of what I want 😭😭 But the cake is always fresh and good. Love fromage cheesecake and pudding It comes with how to eat the cake too 😂 so don’t worry Nice packaging. 2 of these are about $30 It’s not bad cause with all the packaging and quality of the cake I guess it’s worth it 🤷🏻‍♀️ Definitely should give it a try
Vivian P — Google review
The Japanese cheesecake is very fluffy and taste “more cheese” than other places in town. Uji matcha tiramisu is really creamy with great balance on matcha and cheese favour. Special drink is not bad either. Quick and safe contactless service.
Gregory W — Google review
Omg matcha tiramisu! Cheese Garden's matcha tiramisu is served inside a wooden cylinder similar height to the size of my hand. It was neatly layered with a thick bed of lady finger, the super "creamy-creamcheese-cream" and the top layer of uji matcha powder. The first spoonful of the tiramisu literally melted in my mouth! The matcha had a rich and strong flavour that complimented the fluffy cream. I especially loved their double layers of soft cream cheese cream and matcha cream which both had neat consistencies that assembled the whole tiramisu flavour together. It was so amazing that I wanted to buy another tiramisu for takeout too. One of the things that I loved about Cheese Garden was that they had small portions of free samples of their Japanese cheesecake by the check-out counter. So I also got to try out their delicious cheesecake, and purchase the one for take home(it was honestly as good as the Uncle Tetsu Cheesecake) Uji Matcha Tiramisu $11.95 Cheesecake - $10.00
Yunny H — Google review
We've come to Cheese Garden multiple times for their matcha double fromage cheesecake, uji matcha tiramisu and matcha latte. The service is good and the quality of the cheesecake and tiramisu is excellent. I would have given them 5 stars if they had options other than whole milk for their drinks and if they didn't stop serving drinks 30-60 mins before their store closes! They are the only cafe I have come across in all of Toronto that stops making lattes significantly before the closing of the store.

This cheesecake sundae is an explosion of multiple flavours. I did not expect this when I ordered it, but it was a pleasant surprise. Layers of cream, cheesecake, and various other cheesecake cookie components make it a delightful treat. Highly recommend it!

Shu Cake Boutique is a bakery with Asian-inspired flavours in Toronto. It's popular for its cream cakes, mille crepe cakes, and mousse cakes which are all square-shaped. Love that it has European and Asian flavours combined to create unique and delicious baked goods. The bakery has a shiny exterior with gold detailing and offers an eclectic range of breads, pastries, and cake flavors.
I ordered a birthday cake from here last minute and was honestly blown away. Not only was the cake absolutely gorgeous in design, but it also tasted amazing — soft, fresh, and not overly sweet. What impressed me the most was how I placed the order the night before, and it was ready for pickup the next morning. This was the only place I found that offered such flexibility without compromising on quality or aesthetic. If you're looking for a beautiful, delicious cake and reliable service — especially for a time-sensitive event — I highly recommend them!
Kimia M — Google review
Stopped by this place for some desserts. It seems like they’re more catered for ordering full cakes rather than single serve food items. There were some limited options in their display case anyway. There’s also no seating inside. We saw some bar seating in the space, but they were more in front of the restaurant on the other side that shares the interior. I had the cream and sea salt mille crepe cake. It had a good texture to it. Wasn’t too sweet. I think having a bit more of the sea salt come through would have been nice for a greater contrast. I found the flavour pretty light. They give you a spork so you can eat it when you find some place to settle down.

Cakes with lots of flavour and taste really good! Each bite was rich, moist, and not overly sweet, just the right balance. You can really tell they use quality ingredients. The texture was perfect too! Definitely going back again, highly recommend if you’re into delicious, well-made desserts

Got the matcha yuzu cake. It was a quick pick up. Note that in summer it’s quite hot so if you commute it might melt a little. The cake was not too sweet and had a good matcha flavor
Jenny L — Google review
Amazing selection and staff!!! Love love how quick their service is! I was in a huge rush to grab cakes for my niece's party and the staff was so wonderful. I got the peach 4inch, melon oolong 4inch and blueberry 4inch cake. I'll be back again for sure! ✨

Shu Cake is an absolute gem! What really sets them apart is the perfect balance in their cakes—not overly sweet, which makes them enjoyable to savor without being overwhelming. Each creation is not only delicious but also beautifully crafted with a level of detail and innovation that’s truly impressive. You can tell a lot of care goes into both the flavor and presentation. If you’re looking for cakes that are elegant, unique, and thoughtfully made, Shu Cake is definitely worth a visit!

Absolutely loved the cakes here! The large cakes are not only beautifully made but also incredibly delicious. The cream cake, in particular, was amazing — light, fluffy, and not overly sweet. You can really taste the freshness of the ingredients. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for high-quality, well-balanced desserts. I’ll definitely be coming back for more!

Glory Hole Doughnuts is a beloved Toronto establishment with two locations, one in Parkdale and another at Gerrard and Coxwell. They offer a variety of donuts including yeast, cake, and vegan options to cater to different dietary preferences. The menu features delectable flavors like lime coconut cream, salted caramel brownie, and the popular toast and butter donut. Owned by pastry chef Ashley Jacot De Boinod, these handcrafted treats are made fresh daily.
Prob the best donuts, not a fake review did not receive any free items. Watch out for my 5/5 stars one though 😂
Edwin — Google review
We finally got to try Glory Hole Doughnuts, and overall, it was a pretty good experience. The dough itself was incredibly smooth and soft—clearly made with care and quality ingredients. We especially enjoyed the berry and fruity flavors; they were vibrant, not overly sweet, and had a nice balance that really stood out. However, at $3.95 per donut, we felt the pricing was on the higher side. While the quality is definitely there, it’s hard to fully justify the price, especially when compared to other artisan donut spots in the city. For that reason, I’d give this place 4 stars. The donuts are tasty and worth trying at least once, but it may not be an everyday treat unless you're okay with the premium pricing. Would still recommend it for anyone curious or looking to treat themselves—especially if you enjoy unique or fruit-forward flavors!
Paula R — Google review
Had the opportunity to try a Glory Hole Doughnut. They have been around since 2012 in the East York community. They take pride in their pronounceable ingredients and that everything is hand made. I considered these doughnuts as gourmet doughnuts. The size is huge, and the quality and the price matched it. I had the fudge dip mini. The other one I almost considered was the cinnamon sugar mini. When I’m trying something new, I usually go for the most basic flavour to be able to compare and give a honest review. In overall, the fudge dip mini wasn’t overly sweet. The doughnut is fluffy with a slight chew to it at the end. My coworker, she loves it and finds it dangerously close to her home. Another one, she said it was good too. Me, I’m happy that someone brought it into the office to brighten everyone’s day. The doughnuts were all so pretty. This is not a nuts free bakery.
M G — Google review
What did you like about these doughnuts? Close to home. They are made freshed. They are a bit smaller than normal doughnuts I've had for $3.95. The doughnuts were fluffy and soft, and there were a lot of different flavors to choose from. The service was amazing, which made the experience a lot better.

PLEASE don't shutter or redo your business plan. You're already fabulous and have the best donuts in the country.... Perhaps, the would! Keep making amazing donuts! I will NEVER dare to ask how you get the hole in each donut, just like we will NEVER know the Cadbury secret.... 🤔 Maybe the hole and the cream are from the same happy employee??? Talk about perks and benefits!!! Seriously though I am going to get more and more as I can't stop these tasty donuts and freshness and presentation! Yum ... To the extreme
Carlo G — Google review
their donuts are to die for! I’ve tried the cinnabun and toast & butter. unfortunately this location is closing at the end of the month :( EDIT: i tried their cinnamon buns that are only served on sundays. absolutely scrumptious!! I’d probably get them several times a week if they were sold everyday. I don’t know their name but the employee that has served me every time is very very kind and a pleasure to speak with. I will be back plenty of times until it closes. apparently there will be a community party for their closing on august 30!

Follow @bredgyeats for more food posts! Toast and Butter Donut, Ferrero Rocher Donut - I've always underrated donuts, but not after these entered my mouth. So light and airy with an attractive spring back once bitten into, with a delicate fry for a crisp bottom that's not overly oily. The Ferrero Rocher was the star today, dipped in an indulgent Nutella hazelnut icing and sprinkled with crushed hazelnuts to add another layer of texture and nuttiness. Additionally, if you like the rich sweetness of butter tarts, you can have them in a donut form as well. EDIT: Butter Pecan - the donut itself is still top notch. Fluffy, spongy and airy. However, this flavour is too cloyingly sweet for me, but sweet tooths may love this.

I’ve tried almost every single donut place in Toronto, literally, and Gloryhole donuts is hands-down the best. If you love donuts and you're in Toronto, you have to come here. I travel two hours just to get these donuts, and it’s always worth the trip!

Dessert restaurant
Cheese Garden is a dessert restaurant in the Eaton Centre that specializes in Japanese cheesecakes. The desserts here are light and fluffy, and feature delicious matcha toppings. In addition to cheesecake, they also serve limited edition summer desserts featuring Japanese white peaches. If you love cheesecake and matcha, you'll definitely want to check out Cheese Garden!
The best cheesecake I have had in a long time! So light and also creamy - the different layers of matcha and regular cheesecake make this much more interesting than your typical Japanese cheesecake. It is a little bit more on the pricey side - about $24 total but certainly worth every penny! Would recommend for sure for the perfect light dessert option. I will definitely be going back to try the other options in their cheese garden 😁
Jordan L — Google review
Loved their cheesecake from the first time I had it. The cake is super soft and has that amazingly light texture. Combined with the matcha, just combined the flavours so well! The service was really good too! Didn’t feel rushed and the worker helped out with some recommends to, which is always appreciated! Great job and definitely coming back for the shirai soufflé cheesecake, which was sold out due to the fact I went in about an hour or 2 before closing. Follow me on IG @thirst_and_taste for more amazing pics and content!

I recently visited for their anniversary celebration and I’m so glad that they’ve been in business for the last six years and I’m sure many more to come! Although they have a very small menu each of their items is very unique and made with the highest quality and consistent results. I love the double fromage cheesecake and especially the chocolate flavour but I also love this classic Japanese cheesecake as well. Delicious!
W G — Google review
The cheesecake and desserts here are really good - better than Uncle Tetsu's I'd say - but also pretty expensive. I tried the matcha fromage cheesecake that had to be frozen/chilled and it was like an ice cream treat! I'll be back to try others, but the steep price keeps me from recommending it highly.
Claire H — Google review
The cheesecake just hits different. It is really delicious and would pair perfectly with tea. I can honestly eat one by myself if given the chance. I also have high regard for the puddings. I personally like the original pudding as it taste like a cheesecake Leche flan. The chocolate is also good but it seems to fight the cheesecake taste rather than fully synergies with it. I would highly recommend this place as a go to place for a gift dessert!
Dwight O — Google review
I have to give them 5 stars. The cakes I tried is tasty, decoration is on point, packaging is nice and amazing. My recommendations are everything :)) I tried the uji matcha tiramisu, matcha double formage, cheese tart. All is good and delicious.

Wanted to buy a frozen cake and the girl tried her best to recommended consume in one hour. Very responsible for the product. So I didn’t buy that after consideration. Ordered a yogurt drink and took about ten min to finish. The girl looked not sure about the recipe.

After hearing so many positive things about Cheese Garden from my friends, I was looking forward to trying some of their desserts. I've now tried 4 different items from their menu: the uji matcha tiramisu, Japanese cheesecake, double fromage cheesecake and baked cheese tart (pictured). All of them tasted good and had nice presentations. The cheese tart was a lot bigger than I expected, which was a bonus! However, it is worth noting that there are other Japanese shops in Toronto that have similar desserts at lower prices.
