We got a cake from here for a birthday party. It was really tasty. The 6" cake was more than enough for our party of 8 people. I think you can get it for up to 10 people. The interior was nice. The staff could have made extra effort to help us choose the cake. They just waited for us to make a decision without explaining what's available or offering help.

What a beautiful patisserie. The brownie was excellent. Moist and not overly sweet. We absolutely loved their sticky toffee pudding. Best we've ever had!

We ordered the Ultimate Chocolate cake for a birthday celebration - after many suggesting this was one of if not the best cake in the city. It was fabulous. Great presentation just like the photos. Beautiful buttercream, rich dark chocolate flavour, 3x layers super moist and fudgey, and the brownies on top were delicious. Don't believe some of the bad reviews, the cake was awesome. Everyone raved about it. Also the maple pecan tarts, next level. We will be back!

Placed an order ahead of time for floral-themed buttercream and vanilla cupcakes for an event. We received prompt confirmation of the order and communication was easy. Our order was ready at the agreed upon time and pickup went smoothly. The cupcakes were absolutely beautiful and travelled well - we received lots of compliments on their appearance. That said, the flavour and texture left much to be desired… the cupcake base was incredibly dry and tasted stale (despite us eating them within 2 hours of the pickup time). The buttercream was also very firm and lacked any sweetness, reminding us of refrigerated butter in both flavour and texture. Not sure if this was just an “off batch”, but it was quite disappointing.

My first experience trying the cupcakes was disappointing, but today I went in person to give them a second try and I was impressed. Walking in there is a calm atmosphere, beautiful displays and I appreciated the excellent customer service. The cupcakes were moist and not overly sweet, with really delicious flavour offerings. (Passionfruit; peanut butter and chocolate yummm, were my favourites) nothing like my first experience. I’m happy I came back and would definitely buy again!

I still loved my desserts I will be back for their earl grey soft serve 🍦🫖💕

I had the fraisier, Earl grey mousse and a slice of mango passion fruit sponge cake. They were all good but I thought overpriced for what they were. Tasted good… but not amazing. The service was nice. I’ve been there for their soft serve with strawberries sundae and it was good but, again, I found it more expensive than what I thought it was worth.

Imagine Earl Grey tea got dressed up for a Michelin-star gala, then decided to throw in a zesty lemon surprise just to keep things playful. The swirl itself is impossibly creamy, perfumed with tea in the most delicate, elegant way. Then they go ahead and crown it with lemon curd, crisp pearls that crunch like tiny fireworks, and a buttery sable cookie just to remind you they’re not messing around. Every bite had me questioning if I should slow down to savor… or speed up before someone tried to steal it. Verdict: gone in minutes. This isn’t just ice cream. This is Next Level living. Would 100% recommend — bring a friend, but order your own because sharing is not realistic.

I live an hour away and roselle is most certainly worth the trek to this neighborhood. I wish they had longer hours. My fav things are the soft serve , the earl grey cake and the banana eclairs are to die for! The flavours are just perfect and not sickingly sweet. I thin the joke is they try and cater to Asian palates. I also appreciate how they partner with local producers for seasonal fruit items. I tried the corn cake on Friday and it was so unique and delicious. I dream about Roselle and it is my favourite bakery in Toronto !

Roselle is a hidden gem tucked into the heart of Corktown. It's my favourite go-to dessert spot in the neighbourhood, and often claims a lineup down the street (but don't worry, it moves fast). The Earl Grey ice cream and birthday cake cups are my personal favourites.

Ordered the 9inch earl grey cake from roselle for the first time and let me tell you, it was the BEST earl grey cake I’ve had in my entire life. It’s so worth the price and my boyfriend and his friends really really enjoyed it. Everyone asked where I got it from. Will definitely be returning for future birthday orders 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Absolutely loved our visit to Butter Baker! 💛 I brought my mom to try their new menu, and we were both blown away. I had the Baker’s Breakfast — eggs, crispy potatoes, and toast — all perfectly cooked and super comforting. My mom tried the yuzu chicken and waffles, and let me tell you… those waffles were the best! Gluten-free, buttery, and perfectly crispy — she loved every bite. We also got to try their desserts: the caramel apple butter waffles were warm, cozy, and delicious, plus a slice of their house-baked banana bread that disappeared in seconds. To finish, we had the berry and custard soft serve, which we devoured even though we were full — totally worth it. We also enjoyed drinks — I had an iced matcha latte, and my mom got a hojicha latte. Both were smooth and flavorful. The food, drinks, and cozy vibes make this spot a must-visit. Can’t wait to come back! 🧇🍵🍦

We visited here for a Saturday brunch here and had an amazing time. The moment you enter through the market door, you’re fascinated with all the beautiful handcrafted local goodies. From jewelry, candles, party decorations to home decor and kitchen accessories, they have many cute options. Their café menu includes many great options from brunch menu to desserts and drinks. They have so many unique and creative cakes, waffles and brunch options. We ordered “Grilled Chorizo Croissant Benedict” and “Spicy Chicken Waffle” from brunch menu, “Mango Waffles & Crème” and “Raspberry & Pistachio Cake Slice” from the desserts menu and finally “Mocha” and “Matchamisu Cold Foam” from drinks menu. Everything was fresh and tasty. The spicy chicken waffle was the great combination of Korean fried chicken and waffles. The Grilled Chorizo Croissant Benedict was unique and flavourful. The Raspberry & Pistachio Cake Slice was one of the best cakes I have ever had; perfect level of sweetness. Mocha was beautifully designed and matchamisu was very creative. The staff are very friendly and make sure you have the best experience.

This is one of my favourite brunch spots in the city! Their chicken & waffles is my go to order & we love that we can end our meal off with a sweet treat. Their monthly soft serve is a must but their seasonal waffles with vanilla gelato is great. For fall, we tried the caramel apple butter waffle which was divine. The service is always great!

I first tried the shoft serve over the summer and was immediately obsessed. When I found out they have a cafe and brunch options I had to visit! The waffles are absolutely incredible. I tried both the savoury and sweet options. Perfectly crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Will definitely be back to try more!

Get the raspberry pistachio cake, it’s miles better than their other cakes. Balanced well, “not too sweet” haha the other cakes were kinda lacklustre and if eaten side by side you would find the raspberry pistachio just takes over. Every time I go back to try a different slice, I shake my head in regret. Dine in service is pretty much scanning a QR code and prepaid, so equivalent to a McD . Which is fine but means you’re just tipping to sit there. The atmosphere is nothing to shout about, tucked behind the service counters there are some tables conveniently laid out. Might be tough to find a spot for a big group so I’d recommend take out if more than 3/4 People seem to get their ice cream and waffles most frequently. But I just go for the cake. Drinks and cookies are average. Eat the raspberry pistachio and move on.

Bought one 8” winter berries cake, the cream was so soft and lots of berries. Very nice cake. Their matcha cookie is must try item. The staffs are all friendly and helpful. Love this place.

I had the strawberry frozen yogurt soft serve. It was a mix of strawberry and vanilla with freeze dried strawberries sprinkled on it. It was absolutely the best soft serve I've ever had in my life. I spent the entire time eating in total shock over how amazing it was. They rotate the flavours monthly. I'm going to go back every month to try whatever the current flavour is. I went back and got June's flavour, Pina colada. Also excellent but not quite as perfect as the strawberry was. July's blueberry and panna cotta was also exceptional. August's Mango Lassi was good as expected but maybe not as strong as the previous month's. I think it might be better to get just the mango instead of the swirl with frozen yogurt. Also the mango falls off very easily, so make sure you eat that right away! The sidewalk outside is covered in mango slices that fell off people's cones. Septembers' passion fruit, orange, guava mixed with vanilla is excellent as expected. Super fresh and fruity tropical taste. This might be one where you skip the mix and get just the fruit flavour. November's apple pie was excellent! I also tried a double chocolate cookie which was good, but nothing exceptional.

The cheesecake tasted really off, almost sour like it was about to go bad. Macarons also tasted old, like they’ve been sitting for days. For more than $40 you’d expect some quality. Wouldn’t even eat this if I got it for free. Used to love this spot. Yikes

The place has maintained very high standards for food. I’ve always loved to drop a visit at Nadége because of their amazing croissants. Surprisingly, today I was told by the hardworking team that the payment policies of Nadége have changed and that they don’t accept cash any further. But as per my request, they did make an exception and I truly appreciated their support. I wish there was a different rating option for staff so I could rate them good. But for the restaurant, I think they’re degrading their customer experience by removing a 100% Legal Tender - Cash in their payment policies. This indirectly shows that they do not value the customers who want to pay through cash instead of debit / credit cards. Some people don’t want the big corporates (Banks) to handle their hardworking money, which is completely fair and sensible. I do also understand that it’s legal for private business owners to make their own payment policies. A big wrong move by Nadége in my opinion. I don’t know what was the idea behind this, but doesn’t seem a good one.

I have been going to Serano since I was a child, but I am writing this review specifically to review my wedding cake. I placed an order via email with Maria, who was responsive and helpful. As far as I know, the cake was delivered to our complicated venue (on board a yacht at Harbourfront) on time and with no problems. The cake was ENORMOUS. We weren't expecting to get such a large cake and were so pleasantly surprised by this. This cake featured in all of our guests' summer instagram posts. Thank you to the bakers and the decorators! We loved our cake. It fit out 90s boat wedding vibe perfectly.

Serano Bakery on Pape Avenue is one of the best stores in the area! They have an amazing variety of high-quality products, love their feta cheese, fresh bread, cheese pies, and delicious desserts. The cakes and ice creams are also fantastic, and the service is always friendly and welcoming. Everything we tried was so good, making it a must-visit spot for anyone who loves great Mediterranean treats.My absolute favorite is the Korne it’s a must-try! 👏🏻🏆🍨🍰

This place is always busy, but everything is well-organized - you take a number and wait your turn. There’s an incredible variety of desserts - it’s hard to choose! They also offer many products imported from Greece. The éclairs are absolutely delicious. The staff and cashiers are friendly and welcoming.

Serano Bakery made the cake for our wedding. They did an amazing job of creating our dream cake based off of the design we wanted. They really out did themselves this time. Ho, let me tell you the difference between ordering online vs in person. I’ll keep my original review because I think it’s also important to mention. Updated Review: my husband and I stopped here for a birthday cake Saturday evening. We found the cake we liked, and we requested to write happy birthday. Everything looked good during initial inspection. We went up to the front cash to pay and the man in the white lab coat/man in cash was so rude & so disrespectful. He barely acknowledged us, throw the pin pad at me to pay and didn’t even bother to make any noise while we were leaving. When we got home, we found a hair sadly. Worse is, we wanted to give the benefit of the doubt except we are a black curly haired household and this was a brown straight hair. Either way, we enjoyed the online experience but won’t be bringing my business nor my coin here again. Old Review: Our custom cake order was AMAZING. The order experience was simple and I appreciate that they take half upfront, half when you go pick up the cake. We ordered online (email) and picked up when it was ready.

The ordering process was quick and easy, and the member of staff I spoke to was very accommodating of my special request for the hand piped message. I ordered a custom cake for my birthday last July and it was absolutely perfect. The quality is unreal. I am ordering again this year and I recommend this bakery 100%. I got the vanilla and strawberry cream cheese flavour upon recommendation by a staff member.

First off, i’d like to say they have friendly customer service and responded to our inquiries very quickly . However, i’m not sure what happened with our order: Cake order was scheduled to be delivered via doordash at around 2pm on Sunday Aug 17. I received a text message that my order was picked up from the store and was on its way at 1:35pm. At 1:55pm I get another text informing me that the order was cancelled (??) Then the order was reassigned to another dasher at 2:25pm and was delivered at 3:28pm… again, not sure what happened here. Now for the cake itself: Looked great however the message and cherries were very poorly written. (see photo) We have seen other customers post images of their cake and their messages were written perfectly so i’m not sure why ours was like this. The taste was ok… a bit dry. But the size of the cake was perfect. Overall disappointed for the price we paid and what we received.

Ordered my wedding cake and bachelorette cake from velvet lane and I wish we had found them sooner! The cake tasting for our wedding cake was overwhelming in a good way, there were so many flavour combos it was hard to pick! each and every one of them was tasty and so moist. Pick up for my bachelorette cake was seamless and only instilled more confidence in them to pull through beautifully on our wedding day. Bachelorette cake was a less complex order and was so easy to order online completed in a couple minutes and had exactly the design I was looking for. Could not speak more highly of the customer service, cake design and taste and organization! Thank you to the VL team for the seamless experience!!!

I’ve ordered multiple cakes from here and were blown away each time. The detail and the beauty of their cakes are unbelievable. They’re also delicious, where most decorated cakes tend to be more dry and stiff. These were not at all. We will continue to order from these amazing ladies and their team.

I ordered a donut tower with a small cake on top for my wedding. This company is non-responsive. You will not know if your product will ever arrive because they don’t answer the phone , it tells you not to leave messages and they don’t respond to emails. They had said that they would set up the tower for me and were scheduled to arrive at one. I bought the stand and had it with me at the venue at 11:45 and had been informed that they had already been there and just left the pastries for the staff to set up. They did not do a good job of it but I don’t blame them at all, that was not their job. The donuts were dense and not fully glazed . No one liked them. The cake on top was absolutely delicious. But I would never order from this company again. I found it very unprofessional, especially when dealing with something as important as a wedding, I would have expected more. I don’t have photos because it looked so pathetic we didn’t take any.

You know the saying, “it’s as easy as pie”? Well, dare I say the new saying should be “it’s as easy as cupcake bouquets”?! (Really rolls off the tongue, doesn’t it?! 😛😂) I never thought of myself as a baker, but when you have someone bake the cupcakes for you, and make the frosting for you, and provide the decor to bring your cupcakes to life, it’s not as hard as it looks. I can now happily say I made myself one fabulous cupcake flower bouquet. You may notice from my pictures, that I chose some abstract designs, but I appreciate that my creativity wasn’t stifled. I was looking forward to coming here specifically because the donuts looked so good. Was I mistaken. I bought 4 donuts - cookies n cream, strawberry jam, coconut cream, and raspberry cream trifle. The donut was kinda dry/dense. The toppings were either tasteless or overly sweet. I didn't really enjoy any of them. I'm pretty disappointed that I spent $26.43 for this...would not come here again. I do appreciate the friendly customer service though.

This is a good place to stop in for especially to take out and walk around the Kensington market or bringing home or for a gift. Place is clean and products are properly merchandised without any cross contamination. Products are tasty but a little on the pricy side. Overall for the gluten free audience this is a great place. If you don’t need their specific food requirements it would make more sense to try alternatives.

This bakery shocked me in the best way. I’m honestly surprised the reviews aren’t stronger, because the desserts are fantastic. I’ve tried the vanilla cupcake, the red velvet cupcake, the brownie, and the cinnamon bun. All hits. The brownie is the one I keep thinking about… It’s a grab-and-go spot, no seating, which might explain some of the lower reviews. And the staff is hit or miss. The first time I went in, the woman working was great. Good energy, good vibe. The next two times, not so much. Nothing rude, just no spark for someone working in a bakery! Still, the desserts are legit. If you want quality vegan sweets, this place is it.

We hired Bunner's to make a gluten free and vegan cake for our wedding and had an amazing experience! They were so easy to work with, and created a cake with the exact vision I had in mind. First, they do a vegan bakery, so shout out for that. However, I didn’t like their donuts that much. Their glazes were kind of powdery and didn’t feel good. Nice little bakery. Good gluten free choices. However, even better donut choices. Too bad the donuts aren't gluten free. We all could have enjoyed the deliciousness. I got the gingerbread man donut and it was phenomenal. Soft and tasty. Do yourself a favor and try one if you are in Toronto. You will not regret! Service was also awesome.

Got the Ferrero Rocher, Canadian Maple, Classic Glazed, Carrot Cheesecake, Apple Fritter, and Blueberry Lemon Fritter. All of the donuts are great quality. All the filled donuts are REALLY sweet, I have a sweet tooth and they’re even too sweet for me. The filling almost tastes too buttery as well. The Ferraro Rocher was probably the best

The doughnuts at bloomer's were incredible! On their own merit they were delightful, but as VEGAN doughnuts they thoroughly impressed me. The dough was light and pillowy, with just the right amount of chew. My only gripe was that the difference between flavours all came down to the filling or icing; there was no unique flavour in the breading. Of course, I recognize that's a limitation when you're a bakery having to make hundreds of doughnuts a day in a dozen flavours. But the icings and fillings were overly sweet, and for the unfilled doughnuts, they all tasted more or less the same—I actually thought I was eating the apple doughnut at first when I was actually eating the carrot cake one. The flavours can be overpowering, too; despite the nut crumble topping, the pistachio-rose flavour tasted overwhelmingly of rose with only a hint of pistachio. Despite some of the overlap or confusion in flavours, the doughnuts themselves exceeded my expectations, and the presentation was stunning. I'd only ask if the sweetness of the icing could be toned down and flavours workshopped, just a little, to tighten them up. Otherwise, I'm very satisfied and was happy I went.

I ordered the $69 birthday cake for my girlfriend’s 30th birthday as I really enjoy their donuts. I requested to have a message on it saying that and unfortunately I didn’t look at the cake in the box when I picked it up. Once I got to my destination, I realized they missed this detail and I was 2 hours outside of the city. I loved the cake itself, but it was a bit disappointing they missed an important detail especially for a big milestone and expensive cake. Note: I added the 30th decal myself (in photo) as I luckily purchased just in case.

When we first walked into the store, it smelled amazing! We decided on getting the original cheesecake. Some flavours, such as matcha, are only available on specific days of the week. Quick service despite a bit of a line. Once we got home, we noticed that they had given us a free tart in a separate bag marked ‘gift’, which was very sweet! ☺️ The cheesecake was soft, creamy, airy and not too sweet. The tarts had a sweet filling on the bottom. We had it with warm indian chai, went well together and very filling. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a lighter, not too sweet cheesecake!

I've had Uncle Tetsu's across various locations in the city. They're fairly consistent. Wished the cheese tart was a little warmer and it would've been perfect. Located in the Atrium on Bay. Not a sit down place. No hassle. Just grab, go, and enjoy!

Always love stepping into an Uncle Tetsu shop and take in the fresh sweet baking. This new location really suits them well - aesthetic, space and transparency, and you can tell it is reflected in their new prices (e.g., $14.75 for matcha cheesecake; $21 for half a dozen cheese tarts). In addition to matcha cheesecake, they now have a new flavour - very berry cheesecake and tart. It’s quite delicious. Although there are 2 entrances, line always starts on the Dundas entrance. For consideration, if there is some seating area, it would be perfect.

The best japanese cheese cakes ever. They have a very spacious work environment, so clean and organized. It's an open kitchen concept and you see how much goes into making their delicious desserts. Don't sleep on the tarts and ice cream. So good.

Excellent Japanese cheesecake. Love the lightness and airyness of these. Tried their seasonal Yuzu flavour (lemon) this time and it was great with lemon zest (and even got a lemon seed which speaks to the use of fresh ingredients so I'm happy about!). Arigatō!

Service is always fast, even when there's a line, which is often the case because the cakes are just that good. One of the best things about this location is how fresh everything is. If you go in the morning, you can actually watch the cheesecakes being baked right in front of you — it's a treat for the senses! The aroma fills the shop, and you know you're getting something straight out of the oven. Soft, fluffy, and not overly sweet, their cheesecakes are consistently delicious. Definitely a top spot in downtown Toronto for a quick treat or gift. Highly recommended!

They have the best apple crumble pie I’ve ever had!! There was no wait, service was pretty quick and they warmed up my apple pie. I also got the 6inch pumpkin pie, it was alright but I’ve had better and wouldn’t get it again. They had a really nice patio and plenty of seating, it was very pleasant. I look forward to coming back and trying their other yummy pies!

there are so many choices of pies and treats at wanda’s, but honestly i think the best thing you can get is the pear cheddar grilled cheese — IT WAS PRETTY DARN AMAZING. while the sourdough bread was grilled to a crunchy crispy perfection, the interior was full of warm, melty, gooey, mellow-tasting cheese; a generous amount of wonderfully softened sweet, fruity pear slices; and silky soft caramelized onions. it may not look like an impressive sandwich, but its super comforting and absolutely perfectly for fall. on the other hand, i don’t think wanda’s pies were super lifechanging. they weren’t super fresh, the crust wasn’t very buttery or prominent, and the fillings were just quite sweet and mushy — although it’s not like they were bAD pies. i tried the apple crumble pie, which was full of a strong tart apple flavour; the pumpkin pie, which was like a creamy and light mousse that didn’t have a very strong pumpkin/spice taste like i was expecting??? and the bottom felt a bit underbaked and soggy; the chocolate pecan pie, which was mostly a very syrup-like sweet paste with large chunks of nutty pecan to balance the sugariness; and the carrot cake, which was honestly very disappointing because the frosting was just way too thick and sweet for me. also, they didn’t have ice cream/whipped cream when i went, and my “heated” apple crumble pie was not really warm at all which was sad. there are also a LOT of bees and flies and birds flying if you’re dining in.

Star of the show was the key lime pie. Just delicious! Really fun and eclectic vibe, suits the Kensington area well. Fun to eat pie while people watching out on the patio. There’s a piano inside where a patron was playing a silly little tune. I love places like this.

Went there to try the World Series, Coconut Cream Pie, that Joe Carter had the morning before he won the baseball series for Toronto. I can see why...the crust was flaky and moist, the cream was light and delicate. The filling of the pie had the perfect sweetness too. Definetly a pie worthy of a championship title. Love Kensington Market atmosphere, with patio sitting in front of bakery. A couple of dine in seats as well. Layout of bakery was good and staff were pleasant. Definetly will be returning to try more of Wanda's pies.

I placed a custom order for a German Chocolate Cake (10”) for $70 + tax, and also picked up two small Coconut Cream Pies and a slice of Mango Cheesecake, spending around $130 in total. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with everything I tried. Since this is a local, artisanal bakery, I was expecting desserts made from scratch using pure ingredients, but that clearly wasn’t the case. The coconut filling on the German Chocolate Cake tasted artificial, more like a sugary, out of box, paste mixed with sweetened shredded coconut and pecans, rather than the traditional cooked filling made with butter, eggs, milk, and coconut. There was no depth of flavor, just a strange, dry, artificial icing-like texture. This was meant to be a 10” cake for a group of 10, but I had 15 people at my event, and as you can see from the photos, almost no one ate it. The Coconut Cream Pies were also very underwhelming, lacking flavour entirely. The Mango Cheesecake was the best of the bunch, but still nothing memorable. Overall, I was disappointed by both the taste and quality of the cakes and pies. Sadly, I wouldn’t recommend anything from this bakery.

We stopped here for a quick bite whilst exploring Kensington Market. I liked the unique character, quirky decor with lots of ornamental displays. The plain cheese sandwich, strata and pie all hit the spot.

I frequently come here in the summer for ice cream. I enjoy the Red Velvet flavour, it has chunks of red velvet cake! 🎂 The only reason I did not give this cute spot higher rating is because of their service. The staff are not as friendly nor welcoming and I am sure this is a consistent theme as I have visited this spot so many times over the years. Each time I visit, they provide service as though the customer is an inconvenience

This is such a cute and cozy little bakery tucked away in the Distillery District! The atmosphere is always welcoming, the service is amazing, and everything I’ve tried so far has been absolutely delicious. I’ve had a couple of their sandwiches—which were fresh and tasty—but my absolute favourite has to be the broccoli cheddar quiche. It’s rich, flavourful, and perfectly satisfying. The staff here are wonderful—there’s one girl in particular who always has the most beautiful makeup and is incredibly kind and helpful every time I visit. Little details like that really add to the charm of the place. Definitely a great spot to stop by if you're in the area!

Had two scoops of coconut sorbet and Russian honey cake. Delicious for a hot day, and seating indoors to relax from the sun. Recommend.

For those looking for gluten-free product options that don't lose flavor, this place is certainly a great option. The store is small and is at the end of the corridor of the distillery's exhibition hall. The window is full of options: snacks, savory baked goods and lots of sweets. For drinks: hot and cold options. Service is provided directly at the counter, and after payment you can sit at the tables in the hall. For customers with limited mobility and disabilities, to enter the warehouse, there is an access ramp and the door is always open, and the store has no physical barriers. They do not have a menu in Braille, but they are ready to inform customers about the product options. On weekends, service tends to take a little longer due to the flow of people.

This place is just awesome. I usually don’t write reviews but I cannot stop myself from writing this. The price is affordable, food and drinks are excellent for the price and especially the hot chocolate! Everytime I visit distillery, I always go to this place and get a coffee or cupcake or cookie :)) I have never experienced any issues or problems with the staffs working there. The ladies were super sweet and they also explained my queries softly. 100/100 🤩❤️

Such a cozy and nice place! 😊 We stopped by to have a quick bite and that was just what we needed. Absolutely delicious Tomato-Mozarella panini & chickpeas salad 🥗. They also were able to make oatmilk latte - so that was very cool :)) They also have ice-cream & cakes :) The only concern I had that it is a bit busy - it is located besides public washrooms and there are random people passing by while you are eating. Though it was kind of unusual & cool. Recommended!

Service is awful, and as I read other reviews I’m not the only one who thinks this… there was not a clear line/place to order, so after waiting several minutes to finally ask if I could order, the lady gave me attitude like I was being rude for asking. She then asked if I only wanted cookies, I said no, but she didn’t hear me and gave me the device to pay and I said I’d like a coffee as well. She goes “oh so we don’t want just cookies then.” Like? Passive aggressive for no reason. Acting like everything I did was rude and wrong. Horrible team. Latte is pretty good, cookies are too sweet, probably not the best choice for a stop

This bakery has some good items (bagels), however after having tried their samosas, bagels, spanakopita and pastries, I find that they savory food lacks flavour and was stale/dry. The sweeter items did not leave me craving to come back. 3 stars because service is quick and prices are reasonable. Not excited about going back though..

Nice bakery with freshly baked breads, pastries, cakes etc. There is usually a queue to follow if you're buying something. Many of the items are not price marked. Service was okay, I wanted to look around a bit and check prices but they asked me to get into line without even seeing what I wanted to ask. I didn't want to hold up a line trying to choose which is why I was looking around. There are many regulars at the store. They even sell additional products like cards, small gift items, paper napkins etc. Overall products are good and it's worth a visit for sure.

One the coziest coffee houses in Toronto. With the best decoration and most delicious food and cookies. The staff are kind and lovely. If you went there, don't forget to visit washroom area downstairs. It was the best and calmest style EVER!

Yummy, local and quaint bakery. Our favourite is the Lemon Escapade Cake! Lots of snacks and desserts offered with a small hot table in the back. You can also buy frozen pies to bake at home - smells delicious! Tip: if you are buying for a special occasion, they also have a selection of cards and candles.

Nice, cozy shop located in Midtown serving yummy treats with a good selection of soups, freshly baked goodies, cakes, fresh food and novelty. I usually drop by here to get goodies for my business associates and clients. It’s always much appreciated!

The smell ! That's advertisement enough! Freshly baked bread and other delicacies will drawn you in. I was quite surprised to find hot food as well and those are good too. I tried the Quiche and a mixed vegetables. Beautiful decor. Cards and some party accessories are also sold. They are allowing 3 people at a time. Please wear a mask.

We ordered our wedding cake from Daan Go and it was absolutely the best. The taster set (which you can use towards the final price of the cake) allowed us to sample many flavours at once and then decide on the one we loved the most. The ordering process was simple and fast, they showed up during the delivery window and set up just as planned. It was easy and stress free - which is exactly what we needed on our big day. The cake itself tasted just as good - or even better - than it looks (we did pistachio) and our guests absolutely loved it too.

4.5 stars - the store front is in an unassuming plaza. It's a little sparse but the offerings are super cute. I ordered the celebration pig online and pickup was a breeze. The cake was so cute! The recipients loved the attention to detail including how the inside layers look a bit like the layers of a roast pig 😆. The chocolate crunchy layer was also nice in mimicking the crispy skin. The flavours were a nice combination but it was just a little sweet for me (probablythe amountof chocolate needed to cover the piggy), but with a nice tea it would probably be perfect. The store has some cute cakes, macarons, and ice cream for direct pick-up too if you don't want to order ahead.

The HK milk tea here is sooooo good! Smooth and silky, but strong the way it should be. Enjoyed the HK milk tea cake slice and the Pandan cake slice. Not too sweet, creamy and light and perfect. Highly recommended.

Got a Strawberry Fields cake for my Mom’s birthday and the cake was delicious. Well received by Mom and the rest of my family. The little piggy (strawberry flavoured) macaron on top was a nice touch. The staff and service were also great.

Amazing customer service! I came to the Midland location last Friday, August 8, 2025 around 11:30am to pick the merchandises that I bought online. I also bought some ice creams and macarons. I received outstanding customer service as there was only 1 staff there on that morning. He was so helpful and courteous. He went about above and beyond in trying to find the flavour of the ice cream that I was asked about. He totally deserved a promotion or a medal! I should also add that the quality and the flavours of the ice creams and macarons were outstanding as well.

We got a small box of macaroons from Daan Go Cake Lab to celebrate my father's birthday. Everyone in my family enjoyed them and said the flavours were really good. We were surprised at how accurate the flavours were without being overly sweet. Flavours we got in order of the macaroons from left to right: Passionfruit, Pistachio, Tiramisu, Milk Tea, Hazelnut chocolate, and Mango. We definitely plan to return to try other desserts in the future.

I ordered their cake jars from Skip (milk tea and vietnamese coffee flavours) since they looked so cute, but they were surprisingly inedible. The cream layers were icy all the way through, with visible ice shards, like the product was sitting in a freezer for too long. Their other offerings, like the cake slices with imaginative flavours and adorable character macarons, are far better, so I suppose the rating should be closer to 3.5 stars, but do not order the cake jars!

So much to choose from! Ended up trying the pecan butter tart and it was the best I had. The inside was gooey. Will have to try their carrot cake next time! Friendly staff too. Update: Carrot cake is my all-time favorite dessert and I finally got a chance to try it here. It's the best I've ever had! It's moist, not overly sweet, and has an amazing texture.

Lovely bakery cafe! They offered plenty of options for cakes/bakery menu which all looked V yummy I tried the carrot cake and the sweetness level was perfect. It’s more of a home baked style cake, which made it more special. Amazing baked goods! Same owners as bang bang ice cream on Ossington, so you know it’s top tier quality and taste. My family and I’s favourites are the craq puff, sticky bun, cinnamon bun, and brownie! You honestly can’t go wrong with any baked good here.

Visited EVERY OTHER DAY during my stay in Roncy! In terms of variety and sophistication, best bake shop in the neighbourhood and possibly the best I’ve had in Toronto. My favourites are their cream puff series and the seasonal fruity chiffon cakes 🍰 both options would be best suited for those who aren’t into overly sweet treats. The mango and coconut chiffon cake is still my favourite of all the items I’ve tried. It’s light, refreshing, and flavourful - the best kind of cake for summer and doesn’t leave you feeling heavy. All their cream puff flavours are delicious, tried their vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, lemon and caramel. I must say that the caramel definitely left an impression as it tasted more burnt and Smokey, which is quite different from what I was expecting, in a good way so the sweetness wasn’t over powering at all. Highly recommend!

I wish I had the appropriate words to describe how every bite there feels. Everything is just that good. And the spot is very welcoming. I first went to try their delicious and viral banana pudding last year, but I had to come back to try more. The gluten free brownie, the jalapeño scones and their classic cinnamon rolls didn’t disappoint at all. Everything was amazing. Coffee was pretty outstanding too. The brownie, omg. Wow!!! This bakery is an amazing find in a city of tourist trap bakeries! Every item in there is so unique that i was stressing out when it came my turn to pick what i wanted. I ended up choosing a staple, a chocolate and lemon combo, in my the chocolate ganache cake and lemon curd crème puff. The chocolate cake was so decadent yet the chocolate wasn’t all that sweet so the combination made the cake just perfect! I wanted to try something new, and i saw the crème puffs just looked so pretty that i needed to get one. The puff pastry was perfectly well made, the creme as well was splendid, but i feel as if the combination of the very sweet creme and very sweet lemon curd, was just too much that you couldn’t take very many bites. It was also soggier than i would have liked it, but that was also because i tried it at the end of the day, so it was probably my fault for that reason. I really wanted to get their banana pudding but i didn’t see it until after i ordered and i didn’t want to over do it. Only other downside i would say is that it is a very small inside and only so many people can fit, and when you are ordering, it feels overwhelming and overcrowded. But I would definitely come back here again and recommend to anyone visiting toronto!

Tried their pastries and desserts for the first time. They had a huge selection of different pastries, cakes, cookies, etc on display. I got a few items and I thought it was just okay, it could be because the items I chose had really similar flavours. I also got the banana pudding that everyone’s been talking about and I thought it was pretty good. Staff were super kind and friendly as well.

I came here specifically to try the chocolate chip cookie and I'm sad to report it's not a good cookie. Especially if you're a chocolate chip cookie enthusiast. It doesn't really have a robust flavour profile or superior texture. Just hard crunchy chocolate chips, sweet as the only flavour profile. BUT everything else about the cafe is great. I tried the coco caramel latte which had a wonderful subtle background flavour of nutty coconut. I would recommend even if you don't like coconut usually. The ambiance is also very cozy. Was a bit hot in there though. Overall would recommend!

cocos neighborhood coffee shop is super quaint, a great place to do some work (although quite busy), and all the staff are super friendly. PLUS the breakfast sandwich and scone were PHENOMENALLLLLL !! the apple cheddar rosemary scone was actually so incredible, it was the most wonderful combination of flavours. the outside was crunchy and crusted with deliciously salty cheddar, while the inside was bready and soft, but not dry. the pungency of the cheese was beautifully complemented by the AROMATIC and FRAGRANT and sage-y rosemary, and all the savoury flavours were balanced by a subtle, but sweet and bright undertone from the apples. the only thing was that i wish they could’ve warmed it up for me. also, the angel breakfast sandwich was just as delicious and something that you MUST get — it’s definitely one of the best in toronto. the biscuit is super soft and mushy and warm and comforting and had melted cheese all over it. the bacon was smoky and crispy and savoury and salty, and it was lying on top of a thick, soft egg frittata. i absolutely LOVEDDDD the sauce they added — it was described at hot honey butter, but it tasted more like an aioli or sweet mayo to me , but it was a really amazing tangy sweet-ish kick to the slight oiliness and savouriness of the biscuit and bacon. i also tried their big cookie, which was pretty nOrmal i would say?? like it’s really well made, but it wasn’t revolutionary. it had a crunchy baked exterior and a chewy soft (but not underbaked) centre, and it was very much LOADED with sweet chocolate chips. i loved pairing it with a warm, frothy cup of milk.

The baked goods are definitely the highlights. I love the goat cheesecake. It’s light and moist. The texture feels more like a melting ice cream. The coffee drinks are bit watery just to my taste. Breakfast sandwiches are a must try.

finally i had a chance to go to Coco. they have cozy vibes, however limited seating! i tried the cookies and chipmunk mocha (black currant syrup). the coffee definitely is on the sweet side, but a bit sour, i liked it! the cookies is huge and contains lots of choco chips. highly recommended!

Coco's is a cute and cozy coffee shop located in Little Italy. We were in the area and decided to check this place out. I ordered an Iced Matcha Latte with oat milk and my boyfriend got one of their special lemonades. His drink was pretty sweet and tart. My matcha latte was good too, it was earthy, sweet, and creamy. The place is decorated very cozy with dark wood furniture, patterned wallpaper, and green plants. We came around noon and were surprised to find that most of the seats were taken. It was slightly full but there was still space for us. There's a seating in the area in the back that looked nice too, but it was a no laptop zone. It's a nice place to relax with company, enjoy a snack and drink, and to work on things. We sat at a table right in front of the main counter. It is a little dark the more you head inside the coffee shop. I did bring a book and my journal but didn't like the lighting so I was just on my laptop. Service was helpful and Coco's definitely lives up to its name.

I've been here quite a number of times now and it's a very popular and busy place. Which is great for the business. If you find yourself a seat, consider yourself lucky! :D Coco's has a wide variety of yummy drinks, pastries and the sandwich they serve with bacon is also very yummy (you can also get it without bacon). The barista's are all lovely and good at their job and quite quick too. This place is located on the first floor but has a second mini floor with more seating. I'd totally come here just be aware that this place can get quite busy and you may not find a seat depending on the hour.

This is a cozy neighborhood place! My sister got an oat milk chai and I got earl grey shortbread. I did not get a photo cause we were busy playing chess! I love that they provide chess pieces and a built in board to play while you dine in! The chai latte was great, the flavor was not watered down and spiced nicely. The shortbread was soft but not crumbly, was surprisingly yummy. The staff are friendly and the atmosphere is cozy and welcoming. They had other baked goods that looked good.

I drove from North York today to pick up a chocolate cake for my birthday and it was well worth the drive! The cake was moist, had a chocolate pudding-like fudge icing and it wasn’t too sweet. It was my first time there so I picked up a few other things I had seen good reviews about…lemon bichon - great, crunchy, flaky exterior with a lovely lemon curd inside. Chocolate chip cookie was also tasty, I will have to give it a solid tasting tomorrow as I don’t have enough room left in my tummy today! Lastly the sausage roll, my husband said it was the best one he’s had since we visited England a few years ago! I wanted to also take a moment to thank the lovely staff member who helped me, they had a lovely energy and were clearly fans of the treats they were selling. Thank you and I hope to see you again!

I popped into this little spot specifically for the Lemon Bichon after a friend insisted it was a must-try - and that I had to pick the one that looked the most burnt. Challenge accepted. If you’re a lemon dessert lover like me, this bichon au citron is going to blow your mind. Think of a flaky, golden puff pastry, similar in shape and size to a turnover, but filled with the dreamiest lemon curd. The outside is coated in sugar, some of which is caramelized for that sticky, slightly crisp texture. The contrast of tangy, tart, and sweet, paired with the buttery pastry layers? Absolute perfection. This might just be my new favourite lemon treat. There’s no indoor seating, but trust me, it’s worth grabbing to go - or better yet, snag a seat on the bench out front and savour every bite.

My go to spot for lemon bichon. I love how irregular shaped the pastry is and how buttery it is. There is a nice crunch when you bite into it because of the caramelized sugar followed by a nice chewy texture. The inside has a very small filling of lemon for a zesty flavour. I have been here 3-4 times and it has never disappointed.

Easily the best chocolate chip cookies in Toronto. They were out of fresh cookies, so the owner sold me some frozen ones. Hell, yeah. Perfect instructions, turned out amazing. Will be buying a dozen more next time I'm in the hood. Thanks again!

Simply the best dark chocolate cake in the city. Barbershop seems to be known for its Lemon Bichon and this AMAZING cake, but man the sausage rolls, the almond croissants, the apple turnovers, etc are all amazing as well. Just order anything in the window and be happy you found a slice of joy in your day no matter what it is.

I have been a repeat customer of Staij and Co. Right from birthdays to get togethers to my own wedding, I’ve been ordering cake from them and I couldn’t recommend them more. Right from the service to the taste, everything is 10/10.

I got the burn away salted caramel cake for my birthday and the salted caramel mother's day cake for Ma and it was THE MOST DELICIOUS CAKE I have ever tried. I have the biggest sweet tooth and have tried thousands of dessert spots and this is by far the best. The quality, the real butter, butter cream and taste is incomparable. The owner is super nice too and accommodated to letting me pick up the order since I live nearby. Only wish that it was a live cafe/ store so I can go anytime and pick things up rather than order ahead.

I had spoken to the manager Anastasia prior and had ordered a box of their almond croissants and they were out of this world!! The croissants were so fabulously made and delicious and the almond filling is so amazing. Some of the best almond croissants I’ve ever had. They went so quickly. They have a really fabulous team and really do care about the quality of their products and customer satisfaction. We can’t wait to try the matcha ones next the almond ones were just to die for!

Today I enjoyed Staij & Co's Matcha Almond Croissants and our house absolutely melted over them they were so divine! Delivery was also on time and the delivery person was excellent about social distancing. My MIL says "these are so good they shouldn't be allowed." I also ordered chocolate bombs for Valentine's gifts which I'm really excited about but haven't yet eaten.

Anastasia and the team at Staij & Co Cafe were incredible. I was leaving town, and organized for a cake for one of my best friends' baby shower in my absence. I gave detailed instructions on the pink flamingo theme and what I was looking for in a cake - and they delivered and then some! I highly recommend them for their creativity, flexibility and reliability. The cake was a huge hit. I will definitely be using them again - they are my go to!

I have attempted to contact Staij and Co. through multiple means about a custom order: email (as per their phone instructions), phone call and their website. It has been extremely hard to get in touch with someone. It has been over a day now and they have not responded and I need the item for tomorrow. This business clearly doesn't care about customers unless they have paid already. I did not want to make a purchase until they confirmed that the request was possible to complete as I would lose money if it wasn't possible. Very poor customer service. Update: they got back to me within 40 mins after I left a bad review. Clearly their Google reviews are more important to them. My request is not possible as they are not a nut-free bakery. Therefore it is good I did not order on their website beforehand. Just a heads up for anyone looking for nut-free baked goods, they don't offer that here.

We had our wedding cake made by Kwento and were so happy with how it turned out! We sent some inspiration photos along with our wedding colour palette and picked a flavour (salted caramel). The cake was delivered on time and we were thrilled with the look of it. People ate it so quickly we didn’t even get to pack up a slice for our first anniversary!

We worked with Kwento for our wedding cake, and it was truly the best wedding cake we’ve ever had (and tasted)! We gave the team our wedding colours and a few ideas, and trusted them to bring their creative vision to life. Highly recommend, 10/10, no notes.

I lovee my cake!! I had sent a few inspiration photos from their insta and communicated with them on what they could do. I originally wanted to add fresh flowers, but could not fit them into my budget, so I really love and appreciated that they piped some flowers to my cake 🥲 it's as whimsical and fun as I hoped it would be although, I do wish there was more pink. My only issue is that after responding to my initial email they ghosted me for a week, and even took a few more days to respond to my follow up email! I thought that I wasn't going to be able to get a cake from them, but I'm grateful I did. She's a beaut!

We used Kwento for our wedding last year. They delivered a beautiful, classic-looking cake, which was exactly what we wanted. The Citrus Olive Oil flavour was amazing, so many guests complimented it! Overall, Kwento was amazing to work with, especially Maria!

Tried the ube cupcake at Kwento and it was so delicious! The flavor of the ube really came through. It not too sweet, earthy, and perfectly balanced. The texture was soft and moist, and the frosting was just the right amount of creamy without being too heavy. What really stood out, aside from the flavor, was the presentation. Each cupcake is decorated with so much care’ seriously, they’re almost too cute to eat (almost!). You can tell there’s real love and creativity behind every treat. There were so many other desserts I wanted to try, so I’ll definitely be coming back. Kwento is such a charming little spot, a must-visit for anyone with a sweet tooth 😋🫶🏻

I was such a big fan of Kwento ( thru instagram) but unfortunately will never order from here again ! The dark hair Asian girl who works at the front in the new location ( helping out the owner) was rude and confidently said that my birthday cake wasn’t ready without even talking to the owner . Mind you we came all the way from Markham to pick up the cake downtown. She stated to come back tomorrow ! We almost left but the owner came with the cake at the front without an apology or anything. It’s very disorganized and the new girl needs to improve her organization and customer service skills.

Ordered myself a custom cake through their website for my birthday. Everything was perfect and fab, just as expected. Order process was made very simple through their website!

Bought a caramel cakelet, the icing did not taste like caramel at all, rather it tasted like coffee. The cake itself was not at all good, it wasn’t even as good as a cheap chocolate cake. 18$ down the drain. I emailed them twice, they did not respond, so clearly they don’t care about consumers. Do not buy it if you like caramel, chocolate cake, or good icing.

First, we can't go downtown to get cakes, then longos stops carrying the one we like... can't find and 3 of them we'd be ohk with. Used to be the perfect shop for grabbing the perfect cake. Now, after many years, I suddenly can’t get my daughter’s favourite cake, because they’ve decided to focus entirely on corporate sales to companies that can’t even order the cake themselves. Good ol’ executive greed.

Horrible decision to close down their retail location. Really not the same fresh versus frozen/ refrigerated for days in store. Those who are hoping for their signature light and fluffy buttercream icing will be disappointed. One of the worst cases of selling out I have ever seen. Never forget where you came from, retail presence is important and gives legitimacy that"just another brand in a grocery store aisle" can't. I suspect this company will fall out of favour in a few years because no one will know how great the origin was and it has no more story except as commercial bakery.

After over 3 decades of cake buying from Dufflets for all of our occasions, I am saddened and disappointed to have to bid adieu to Dufflet's. It was a slow parting as first the Queen street store was closed and only pick up from Norseman and now even that is shut down as Dufflet's chooses to ignore their loyal customer base and focus entirely on corporate sales. Buying from large chains is unreliable as the cakes we have tried have been not as fresh and they cannot guarantee a pre-ordered cake. It was nice while it lasted. The 5 stars are in honour of the countless cakes we've enjoyed from Dufflets over the years - it's the end of an era. We'd really appreciate it if anyone reading this review could recommend a replacement cake supplier of similar quality.

I've heard a lot of good things about Dufflet cakes, and so I was very excited to give it a try. I bought a mocha cake for a celebration and most of us were disappointed. The inside of the cake was dry. The outside buttercream tasted old and was also semi hard despite having been in room temp for about 1-1.5 hrs. No one finished their slice of cake.

I'm disappointed by the systems put in place for placing and tracking orders here. Last year, I tried to have a cake delivered around this time for somebody's birthday. I received no status of delivery update, even on the expected day. I ended up calling the place in the evening and they said they couldn't deliver the cake because of the ice storm (which was understandable. It would have been nice to be notified before though). The staff on the phone guaranteed me store credit for when I purchased the cake. Fast forward to now. I called the number provided online to place and order, letting them know about the store credit. I sent them an email with my order confirmation. The person on the phone said there was no record that the cake wasn't delivered so they couldn't provide me store credit. All in all I wish there was better communication here because now I have a lack of trust in ordering from here again.

Love this place! They have some of the best grab-and-go breakfast options in the city, and the cookies are a must — you really can’t go wrong with any of them. They’re a bit pricey for how small they are, but absolutely worth it for the quality and flavor. Not much outdoor seating, but there’s some available inside for when you want to enjoy your treats on the spot.

I got a recommendation to try this place in Toronto and I have to say that the culinary experience was somewhat underwhelming. Thing is - we went in with high expectations given the buzz, and I was a bit disappointed with the food. Not that it’s not good - on the contrary, if you like bread and pastries, this place does it well - but when it comes to breakfast sandwiches, I felt they were bland. Their coffee s good though - and they have this open kitchen concept which I thought was cool. Overall, it’s still is a place to try given the quality of the ingredients used - but if you like flavors - you might wanna stay away from the egg sandwiches. It’s also on the pricey side - we paid 43$ for 2 sandwiches and 2 flat whites + 1 baba au rhum.

Everything I've tried has been delicious, from the cookies (my absolute favourite is amaretti di pistacchio) to the pizza slices which usually have seasonal toppings. You can tell the coffee is great quality. The staff is really lovely as well.

Forno Cultura on King has terrific coffee, excellent sandwiches, and a cozy, authentic vibe that makes you want to linger. The cappuccino I ordered was fantastic — rich, smooth, and perfectly balanced. My partner and I also loved the sandwiches; you can tell the ingredients are fresh and the bread is top quality. One small thing: unless I completely missed it, there didn’t seem to be a clear coffee menu inside. We ended up ordering a bit blindly, but luckily everything turned out great. There’s a chance I just didn’t spot it, but it might be helpful if the options were a little more visible for first-time visitors. The only other downside was how warm it was inside — even on a mild fall day (around 20°C), it felt noticeably hot. Otherwise, this place is outstanding and well worth a visit for anyone who loves great coffee, fresh food, and a relaxed café atmosphere.

I had high hopes for Forno Culture given all the buzz, but overall it was just okay. The sandwiches were fresh, but nothing particularly stood out in terms of flavor. Bread was decent, but a bit too chewy for my liking. The ingredients seemed good quality, but the combinations felt kind of safe and uninspired. Service was friendly, Prices are on the higher side, and I didn’t feel the experience or food quite justified the cost. Not a bad place by any means, but I’m not in a rush to come back. Might give it another try in the future to see if things improve.

I feel like for a bakery, it was disappointing for the worst part of the sandwiches to be the bread. Very hard and dry, I fear they gave us bread from days before. The much drool sandwich was really good in its fillings but the rest I just couldn’t finish. I’m not sure if I’d go back.

Beautiful dessert shop on trendy Ossington Ave. Great place to take a break while shopping or dining nearby. The Rocher I tried looked like a giant Ferrero Rocher—chocolate glaze with a crispy shell and biscuit base. Not overly sweet, but still a bit too sweet for my taste. Lots of eye-catching pastries. Worth visiting if you’re nearby, but not a must-go.

Terrible experience. Ordered from online platform to pick up the Arc De Luxe bundle of three with their own promo of a free pack of 6 macarons with order over $45. First of all, I never received a call from the store throughout the food preparation period but got told item not in stock only after I physically arrived at the store at the pick up time. Told me to switch for a medium sized whole cake with no macarons but aren’t they totally different things and where are my macarons? If you don’t have the item in stock you should have first set “out of stock” on online platforms, then contacted me to negotiate, not wait until I’m physically in store and say hey we don’t have it you either substitute for something totally different or you get nothing. If you don’t want to give free macarons also, take it off from the platform! Another substitution choice was to pay an extra 10 dollars plus tax to get another totally different bundle with very limited choices and still no macarons. Really disappointing. Ended up being me and my friends finding that there’s actually Arc de Luxe available in store but wrong flavors. It should have come with Midnight Cherry Royale, Golden Pistachio Bliss and Choco Elderberry Noir. But they only had two flavors available, something mango and something with mulberry, meaning no matter what we choose we are not getting the flavor we should get originally and 2 cakes in the bundle will end up being the same flavor. But still, only if we take that wrong flavor Arc de Luxe we won’t need to pay extra and can get the macarons. We were basically kind of forced to get the wrong flavor items or else we don’t get anything we wanted at all. Also the macarons ended up poorly packed and some of them were broken too. Last but not least, it’s worth mentioning the attitude was unprofessional as well. I felt quite uncomfortable with how the situation was handled.

We ordered takeout and when we got home and opened the boxes, the cakes were sadly missing their shape. We paid over $260 for this and the packaging is awful. I don't think the box even holds 5 cakes. They obviously didn't bother to separate the boxes for us. The food was delicious and the decoration was beautiful, but it was all ruined, which is a shame.

You'd also be hard-pressed to guess that these treats are completely vegan that kind of reminds me of childhood birthday parties with their chocolate and vanilla cupcakes and donuts.

Nice atmosphere and service, but inedible gluten free pastries. As someone who has tried the majority of gluten free bakeries in Toronto and countless storebought goods, it’s ludicrous that this bakery is charging $5.93 for a single black forest cupcake. The cupcake had a weird texture, it was like munching on uncooked quinoa in between cake crumb. The frosting was overwhelmingly sweet and not creamy at all. I’ve had plenty of good vegan frosting at other bakeries—this was not it. There was very little cherry filling and it should have been a jam-like consistency, instead I think they just soaked dried cherries in sugar syrup. Not to mention the black forest cupcake is a “seasonal” flavor which is how the bakery justifies an extra $0.75 surcharge. Last I checked, dried cherries are available year-round so I’m confused and you should be too.

The shop features positive, upbeat vibes. Anything you can do Tori can do Vegan. Plant based dairy has come a long way and Tori’s bakery aims to impress. Best part, no animals were harmed in the making.

On a wet and chilly November day like today, coming upon a place like this is literal heaven on earth! As soon as you walk in, you're greeted with the aroma of freshly baked desserts and brewed coffee! I got their lavender London fog and brownie cupcake! Can't wait to pass by again!

Box of pastries to enjoy and could not be any happier. They have both regular and gluten free goods for all to enjoy with their large selection of beverages. Plant based bakery offering a variety of sweet and savoury goods. - Potato Focaccia: A bit dry, nice caramelized onion undertone, good density and a bit on the greasy side. - Savoury Scone: could not taste the sun dried tomato but lovely flavour overall. - Peach tart: sweet and good but not enough filling and too much pastry. - Cinnamon bun: excellent, very good. - Butter tart: a bit plain and dry, nice sweetness though. - BLT Sandwich: very good flavour but WAY too greasy because of the coconut bacon. The pesto is wonderful though. Service is friendly and helpful.

A selection of vegan and glutein free fresh, organic, delishious treats. I come for the delishiousness and the cozy setting, missed out on the soups, but they do have that and sandwiches too. Today it smelled like cinnamon, so it had to be cinnamon roll :) Come try it some time, you will jot be disappointed!

I ordered a hot chocolate and was displeased with a couple things 1. They use actual hard pieces of chocolate, which they steam together with the milk. The barista poured the milk into the cup and then plopped the leftover chocolate gunk from the bottom of the steam pitcher, which then they had to mix again in my cup. Leaving me with a chunky drink …yum 2. I didn’t even receive a cup filled all the way . I ordered a large size, and paid over $6. The person a head of me received their drink and had theirs filled to the brim, but my drink was left with about 2 inches of room on top. In the end I’m just disappointed that I paid the amount I did for the quality I received.

Charged for the plaque on my own birthday cake after being told it was free when I ordered it. Definitely not the best customer experience. Response: Since you insist on technicalities, you are correct. You told my father that it was of no charge because he paid ahead of time. Had it been the situation you described, when I came to pick up the cake you wouldn't have insisted that I pay for the plaque. Suffice to say, you have lost our business over $1.95.

I had Rahier on my list to visit for some time and had the opportunity recently. I have mixed feelings on the visit. The items were good. The madeleine and cappuccino that I had were tasty but not the premium quality I expected given the reviews on G Maps. The pastry items (as agreed on by my friend) were good. However, the drinks are massively overrated. I would recommend passing on the cappuccino as it tastes flat and less quality than say a Sbucks cappuccino, which are standard comparison points. For a coconut filled pastry and my small cappuccino (small cup half full) I paid 7.56, for comparison. It's competitive for the area but the taste is only okay. I would recommend a visit if in the area but it is not a top selection for either french pastries or coffee drinks.

Not a big shop but has such fabulous pastries. There is a small patio at front for you to sit and enjoy. The small individual cakes are more costly but good for special occasions. They display so well on the table.

I found this place thanks to Too Good To Go and I'm so glad I did! The store is amazing and seems like it's one of the most popular stores in the area. I picked up 5 croissants (Too Good To Go) and a box of marzipan sweets (just very tempted to try)! Will be back for more. :)

Picked up the most amazing desserts for our family Thanksgiving lunch! The pumpkin pie was scrumptious, with just the right amount of sweetness and the most delectable cream filling. Hand down, the best pumpkin pie we’ve ever had. Compliments to the chef! The eclairs were also delicious and added a great seasonal touch to the dessert table. Thank you for the great service, recommendations and treats! I’m sure I’ll be back for more.

Great place for desserts - loved the pistachio, raspberry, lemon, blueberry, and chocolate flavor eclairs. The pizza was also really yum. Latte could have been better - I Didn’t particularly enjoy the lavender latte. Interior and ambience was great, but it didn’t smell as nice. Recommend this :)

Enamoured by their brilliant display of eclairs, I just couldn't resist the vibrant green of the pistachio royale and the flavour combination of the Juliette. The pistachio cremeux encases an airy whipped pistachio ganache, finished with candied pistachios and a white chocolate glaze. However, I preferred the combination of the dark chocolate mousse and raspberry filling, a match made in heaven, while providing a heterogeneous experience as each half is slightly different.

PASTRY: hit or miss, some of the flavors are good some are not. The shell is too thick and too hard for me. They all look fancy and well decorated so it'd be perfect to be a gift. There're new flavors every season. SERVICE: everyone there is friendly, it's good that they're all french so it seems more legit bakery. VIBE: very beautiful store, large and many tables.

Institutional neighbourhood bakery with all sorts of treats, cakes and breads. Can see why this place has such a loyal following: their stuff is pretty and caters to all types of sweet teeth. Been here a couple of times and enjoyed. My most recent visit, we got the cream brioche and mont blanc. Brioche was a tad dry and would have liked more filling. Mont blanc was smooth and creamy and tarty all at the same time. Good amount of seating area. Prices are on the higher side but not unreasonable. Service is efficient. A good stop if you want some treats!

Danforth location: A good hangout on east end for baked stuff and sweet treats. Its carries standard “bakery & cafe” vibes. Their patio is pretty and nice sit out for the quaint neighbourhood. Baked goods are decent and prices are above average. Biscotti, Savoury croissant, turnovers amd latte were tasty. A good alternate for the american coffe shop opposite to it. An absolute gem on the Danforth. It was like I was transported into France. The patio was delightful and the washroom was clean. They have housemaxe French pastries definitely going to give one a try next time. The staff was pleasant and helpful. But their pastries looked like something straight out of Miraculous.

Love This Place! Patisserie La Cigogne on the Danforth is such a great find. I tried the pear pie and it was amazing—packed with real pear slices and just the right amount of sweetness. The croissants are delicious too—super buttery and flaky, just like they should be. It’s so nice to taste traditional French recipes. Definitely recommend checking it out if you’re in the area!

I purchased 3 croissants. The lady charged me for 3 different items that had different pricing. She said two of them had the same price but all three items had different pricing. The croissants reminded me of Costco. I do not trust or recommend this establishment.

This is an excellent place for a gathering with friends for breakfast or just for a coffee. The variety of french bread and desserts is fantastic. Very legit flavor of a Parisian croissant. The almond croissant is my favourite ever. They have breakfast to dine in (not the best but decent) with service at the table, also ice-cream and the best tea with lemon ice-cream scoops in the area. Their hot chocolate is also rich, creamy and magnificent. Perfect spot if you're in the mood to play some board games while having a nice hot chocolate with a little dessert (wide variety, including eclairs). The owner is such a sweet and attentive lady! Sometimes, they give you loyalty cards.

I used to go to the original location for years. It was superb. Now it just looks good. They now all taste like old cardboard. So sad. Now I need look for a new place. I cannot stress enough how bad all the items were. We tried eight of them. Most ended up in the trash. The latte was so bad we could not drink any of it. Clearly the new owners only care about appearance and profit.

While not outright rude, it seemed like they lacked the professionalism and warmth that make a customer feel valued. Overall, this place is good for a quick coffee and cake stop, especially if you’re craving something sweet. However, better customer service and more attention to detail with the coffee could elevate the experience.

Nice coffee shop with an interesting selection of pastries. There are some unique flavours of croissants but all slightly on a higher price range. The coffee and the matcha latte were great. The place can definitely use some dusting as there were plenty of spider webs around all the ceiling lights!

Delicious, creative looking pastries. I had the Vietnamese coffee croissant. There is a little squeeze container of condensed milk. Very flavorful inside with the chocolate. Not overly sweet. However, the croissant was dry and might have been more than a day old. I would like to try their Basque cheesecake next. Drinks, it's essentially Chatime w/ pastries. Place has ample seating at the time of day we went. Tables weren't being wiped down but otherwise, not super dirty. It has a modern cafe look inside. I've been here when it has been busy, so it depends. Don't expect to park in the area.

A few months ago, I visited Bake Code, and it was a good experience! The outdoor seating area was nice, offering a pleasant view of Yonge Street. The variety of desserts was impressive—not only were they eye-catching, but they were also mouthwatering and delicious. The coffee complemented them perfectly. My friend got me the strawberry cake from here for my birthday and it was amazing! The strawberries were sweet, the cream was not too heavy — everything was just perfect. We finished the entire cake and I’m already missing the taste the next day 😂🤭 Highly recommend!

When I arrived, the place was packed with people, but the staff was quick and respectful while taking orders. They didn’t rush me when I asked about different items. All the pastries were fresh, with a delicate flavor and balanced sweetness. My top recommendation, however, is their cheesecakes. Be sure to give them a try!

The prices are reasonable and every pastry I tried was delicious. I went a bit late, so some of the ones I wanted were already sold out. But I picked up almost everything that was left in the display fridge (except the whole cakes), and they were all great. I especially liked that nothing was too sweet. The level of sweetness was just right. Not really a complaint, but if I had to point out something, everything is takeout only, even if you want to dine in. Also, maybe because it’s so popular, many items sell out quickly. I really wanted to try the strawberry yogurt something and the chocolate something cake, but they were already gone. I live a bit far, so I’m not sure when I can go again, but I definitely want to come back for more!

This is my favourite type of small BUISNESS. Owed and operated by artisans proud of their creations. Proud they should be. Wonderful bakery. My favourite item was the puff pastry filled with perfectly balanced apple and cinnamon. Clean and well lit.

WOW! This place serves ambrosia, food for the gods! Who would have guessed this humble non-descript patisserie makes cheesecake so good that the gods would want more! They're also viennoiserie. Their almond croissants and pain au chocolat are also heavenly.

The mont blanc was delicious and the cream puff was filled with so much yummy vanilla cream. Both desserts were amazing!

My family recently got some savoury and sweet pastries from this little patisserie and everything was absolutely lovely! For savoury, we got their Croissant Sandwiches including Egg Salad and Ham & Cheese. Both were flaky, delicious, and you could tell were freshly made! For sweet we got a Dark Chocolate Tart and two Matcha Tiramisu cakes, which were all pieces of art. The Matcha Tiramisu was creamy, luscious, light and not overly sweet. They were my favourite of the whole bunch and were absolutely DIVINE! We also got four of their Cream Puffs and one Coffee Chocolate Tart. The Cream Puffs were so fluffy and not overly sweet. The Coffee Chocolate Tart was also fantastic. Their other pastries and danishes are luscious! The staff were helpful and prompt at packing our rather large to-go order! This is a lovely place for pastries, whether you’re craving sweet or savoury!

Did you know French croissants made in Tokyo taste better than those made in Paris? Fortunately, we're able to experience the same Japanese influence locally, right here. Everything this little pastry shop makes is the best, including a high variety of French puffed pastry as well as beautiful pies and cakes, prepared sandwiches, salads and more. Amazing pastries and staff. We had the raspberry jam French beignet and the French toast. The French toast was amazing, do not sleep on that. The raspberry jam was very good. It is a little pricey and they only take credit over $10 so bring cash or debit. I highly recommend this bakery.

The coffee was great. But the croissants were as a disappointment. The competition on Avenue Rd is far superior. Breakfast was lacking inspiration.

Nice bakery cafe. They have a lot of bread and pastry options. Lots of comfy seating inside and a small patio. The day I went in I was told that their espresso machine was not working. Also, the wait time was rather long even though there were not too many customers. I think they could have benefited from having 1 more staff working. The almond croissant was excellent. The blueberry tart looked better than it tasted, but was still good. 😋 Overall, it was a good first experience, but I would have liked to have a coffee with my pastry.

A recent trip to the Forest Hill area brought us to find this lovely French bakery cafe. Bought some interesting croissants like almond/honey and banana/coconut. They were gone before I took photos. The other two were coconut and then a mixed berry, also very nice. A couple of lovely fruit tarts and some delicious hot chocolate rounded out a very nice visit. Great place to practice your French too!

I’ve been to this place so many times last year twice every month at least I am Handicapped and in a motorized wheelchair. I was there Friday, July 4 and it was the worst service I have ever received. I asked for crêpes they said they had none. I asked for something else they could not make it because no chef was on duty. I asked for a regular sandwich just ham and cheese. It took over 40 minutes and I did not get my sandwich. I asked for a refund. Horrible service I will not go there anymore I hope this helps others make a decision

Amazing quality cakes! Yes, the price is high but definitely worth it for a special occasion. You do need to enjoy your dessert though, so don’t go here if you don’t have a sweet tooth.

The portions are poor and the price is significantly higher compared to your local cafe. Foods are more expensive than ordering from a proper restaurant. No wifi either. The pastries seems to be good tho. I would do take out pastry and coffee only here.

Love this place and I went every day when I lived next door. The owner is from France and their croissants are the best. Their coffee drinks are lovely as well. This place sells out fast even though they really don’t have much of a selection and that’s why I gave it not a five star and the ambiance is lacking as well.

Because you've finally found that bakery that knows a thing or two about baking the proper pastry. The coffee is amazing as well! So if you're in the neighbourhood drop on off to Fleur du Jour and try as many pastries as you can, trust me you will be so deliciously delighted!

This little pastry shop on St Clair is worthy of legend. Every day they open at around the same time, but it varies a little - it’s dependent on the croissants are ready - which varies a little with the weather. They don’t have a close time - they close when they sell out. If you have a bit of time, try the Brietto - it’s a croissant toasted with Brie, prosciutto and a cheesy creamy filling, absolutely delicious! In the morning they offer a wide variety of French pastries - from the classic croissant to sweet delights with berries, pears and other delicious fresh fruit. The only reason they don’t have them in the afternoon is because they sell out by then! In the afternoon they have divine mousse cakes in several flavors - the Rocher and the Cassis Vanilla are incredible. We keep coming back not just for the food - the owner and staff are always welcoming and makes us feel at home! Pricing is reasonable, but payment is cash or debit only (no credit).

The staff is courteous and responsive and the owner/baker is delightful. Stop in for the Brietto (croissant with brie and prosciutto) and a coffee. I stopped in for a pastry and iced latte. The coffee was good and the pear pastry was very good if a bit floppy due to the lack of a/c on a hot and humid day. The experience was hurt by the flat to the point of rude staff person. It's as if they are trying to be a poster child for the Gen Z stare. People are who they are, but this shop could improve on customer service and the interior environment and it would get an easy 5 stars from me.

The croissant was excellent; very fresh and tasty. The coffee was good. There is a bit of seating inside. My only issue is that the coffees aren't priced right. How is a cortado and a macchiato the same price as a cappuccino. $5 is much above market price for these drinks with significantly less milk.

It's a hole-in-the-wall type of place with the price point of a posh cafe. Croissant was on point. Unfortunately, that's about it. Worst cappuccino I've had in years. It tasted like something poured from a random gas station overnight pot. Service was lukewarm at best. The atmosphere is like an university co-op.

You walk into Goûter and you simply do not know where to look first! Then again, the smells of fresh bread, butter, chocolate pure bliss. I love all the selections of great food. Everything from take out meals and soups to filled croissants, stunning baking and chocolates. I bought a little of everything but always my go to’s are perfect baguettes, a proper croissant filled with ham and bechamel, a fruit danish and of course a tiny cake. In French, "goûter" is the verb for "to taste", and everything I've had so far at Goûter was definitely tasty. The interior smells of the fresh butter they use in their boulangerie, so entrancing! My significant other and I shared their Piña Colada gelato (especially amazing), Banana Chocolate Caramel gelato, Pain au chocolate (très bon!!), Almond croissant (though I think I prefer the filling at Amadeus and Nadege), Kouign-amann (MUST-HAVE, buttery sugary crispy fluffy goodness originating in Brittany, France), Tarte au chocolat (not as rich as I'd hoped), and a super crunchy French baguette (too crunchy for my tastes but I would still repurchase) that we used to make a couple sandwiches at home. There's a market across the road and a No Frills just North at Wilson where you can pick up toppings to make your own delights. The shopkeeper was very polite and definitely has a strong knowledge of French patisserie. She let us sample their new scones - buttery, a bit cheesy, and fluffy, yet with a firm crust, we'll have to get some next time! From what I've seen, they also allow you to pick up frozen Pain au chocolat (and perhaps other items) that you can proof and bake in your own kitchen! I asked about when they usually sell out of their baked goods, and apparently every day is different. If you are worried, you can order in the morning and then pick up your items by the end of the day. They really care not to over-produce so that they don't waste food, and so that their products are always fresh out of the oven. I was really impressed when the shopkeeper said that they make everything themselves, nothing from other stores. Verdict: Definitely one of the best patisseries in the city. We'll definitely be back to try their other products and repurchase our favourites! Looking forward to trying some chocolates, eclairs, and more pastries!

I feel like I'm kind of rounding up here, I would've given this spot a 3.5. The cruffin and kouign-amann were absolutely amazing, but I was so let down by the almond croissant and danish. I pre-ordered ahead of time, but had I seen them beforehand, I likely wouldn't have spent the money. The danish had a hole in the pastry, as if it had stuck to the pan while baking and the bottom had just ripped off (I shared it with my family and everyone was disappointed) - I think grocery store ones are better than this for a fraction of the price! And the croissant was pretty lacklustre, not flaky and full of filling like other croissants. That being said, I think this is a good spot to check out for their famous kouign-amann, which was super tasty and the cruffin was perfectly flaky and loaded with a delicious cream filling!

What a joy to discover this traditional French pâtisserie and bakery right down the street from where I live. After living in Paris for a couple of years and getting used to walking to my local boulangerie, I didn't think that I would ever find this in Toronto. But find it I did, at Goûter that opened up on Bathurst a few months ago. The croissants, pain au chocolat and pain au raisin were perfectly flaky and fresh. By far the "most authentic" that I have found in Toronto (and I have tried a number of French bakeries on Avenue, Yonge, Bayview and Mt. Pleasant in North York). I didn't get a chance to try the baguettes yet (the real litmus test), but I will certainly go back. The confectionery and home-made icecream look delicious, and they have an amazing looking espresso machine that I definitely want to try. All-in-all, a great experience for a newly opened store on Bathurst. I will do my best to help it stay around. -------- OK, I just went back to try the fresh baguette (actually more like a French "tradition" with a harder crunchy crust and a chewy, rather than the soft fluffy inside of a baguette), and it was fantastic. Seriously. I am upping my review to 5 stars. Oh happy day!

Decided to go try this place for the sole purpose that they said that they make the best Nutella croissant in the city. Overall it was good could have put more Nutella in the croissant. Clean service was good service

i want to try so many different cakes from daan go because they’ve got such cool flavours! i got the 3:15 cake for a birthday and honestly it was quite small. the base was really good — it was crunchy and sweet and even though i couldn’t really taste/pinpoint the pINEAPPLE bun or ovaltine , i really liked how it was like a sweet chocolaty ish wafer. the crumbs around the side of the cake were super addicting too. the mousse was jiggly and some parts were definitely sweeter than others, but i think the coffee/tea taste just wasn’t really foR me?? but i thought the macarons were super nice and so were the strawberries. there was also a nice smooth sweet rich white chocolate taste.

Had a variety of their single size cakes which was ordered via Uber Eats, physical location on Spadina. And wow the decor and meticulous detail is crazy, I almost didn’t want to eat it because of how aesthetically pleasing they were. I tried the bubble tea, runny egg, pistachio and ramen cake and my favourite one was the runny egg. I thoroughly enjoyed the contrast of the rich chocolate and the light and tart passionfruit. It was very unique and so tasty. I found the bubble tea and ramen cake flavours to be good but didn’t like all the other components in terms of texture like the mochi balls and pudding. The last on my list was the pistachio which was to my surprise as I love anything pistachio flavoured but I found the cake to be dense and dry while the lemon was too overpowering. I would like to try more of their cakes and definitely think the visual appeal of it beats no other!

I was looking for a different cake. Something new and we haven’t had for my partner’s birthday. We got this cake with Pistachio flavour and oh my god, it was hit in my family. Not too sweet, no excessive cream, but wasn’t dry either. So many layers of multiple textures. We just loved it. Thank you for creating something that was out of box and delicious.

Tried the Tira-Meow-Su at Dana Go Cake Lab after a long, rough day at work, and it was exactly what I needed. The rich coffee flavor really hit the spot—gave me the perfect pick-me-up and instantly lifted my mood, and I loved how adorably it was presented. My neighbour introduced me to Daan Go cake Lab. She purchased for her son & it was so delicious, I asked her where she got it. I don’t like super sweet cakes & it was just the right amount of sweetness. I ordered the Dubai Nite for my husbands bday & we all throughly enjoyed it!!! It’s so delicious & unique. It was a cozy and nice café with a calm and pleasant atmosphere. Unfortunately, the cake slices weren’t very fresh — the cake was dry and had too much cream. The cappuccino was good, and the staff were friendly.

Ive never really cared for carrot cake but its my husbands favourite so i ordered it for his birthday. WOW. Sooo moist!!! The cream cheese icing is unreal. And the girl working the cash was so sweet too! 10/10 would order again.

I’ve been to this place multiple times already and I love it a lot. This place has a variety of foods ranging from lattes, sandwiches, soups, tarts, and cakes. They have indoor and outdoor seating. Keep in mind you can book reservations but I found that the employees there were compensating and tried their best to find seating for us. The cake slices are large and flavourful. I personally like my dessert not too sweet so I liked it. Also, the sandwiches are delicious and filling. They usually have specials depending on the season. Overall, it’s a place everyone living around downtown should try out once!

I love their strawberry cake but got the matcha tiramisu slice that was 50% off and this is what i get… i got two slices and both tasted weird and found out that there is a white fluffy mold/fungi… i tried calling and they dont answer the call…. Please dont sell it it’s past expiry…

Food was good, especially the sandwich. The pasta 🍝 had good flavour, however I asked parmesan cheese and they didn't have. The soup and the cheese avocado sandwich were delicious!! I didn't like their reservation table at all. They came to the client's table to tell us they will put a reservation sign, we have 30 minutes more to eat, but "no rush"... Of course you're rushing your customers if you do this. Even though the tone was polite, I find this disrespectful to the customers who just started eating. I hope they find a better reservation system without bothering customers. Also, be aware that there is no street parking 🅿️ around the area. You will have to find one paid one.

Today we attended the Stuffed Gnocchi Pasta Making Class with Megan and it was incredible! I enjoy the small class sizes and intimate learning experience. The chef here is very knowledgeable and provides a lot of support during the class making it enjoyable. Highly recommend Le Dolci and this class!

Last night a group of us (10) participated in the bread making class. We learnt how to make challah and babkas. Our instructor, Vanessa was amazing. She was patient, knowledgeable and certainly knew the answers to our questions. She came around and helped those of us who needed some more guidance (namely me) Everyone had so much fun. Positive comments galore. Definitely recommend any of the classes as a gift or a fun evening with friends or for team building! Thank you Lisa.

Honestly, an incredible experience. We had a group of 5 for the Gnocchi Pasta Party and it was so much fun! Incredible chef, delicious food and a great atmosphere. Highly recommend. And a massive shoutout to our chef, Imke. She was warm, inviting, knowledgeable and just so much fun to cook with.

I recently had the pleasure of learning how to make Dubai chocolates at Le Dolci. The class was intimate, allowing for plenty of interaction with the instructor, and well-paced throughout. We each made two flavours of chocolate bars: kataifi & pistachio, and almond butter & coconut as a vegan option. Le Dolci also offers a wide variety of other sweets and pastry classes that are definitely worth checking out! There’s some street parking nearby, and it’s also within walking distance from Dundas West subway station.

Had an amazing bootcamp session at Le Dolci- I learned how to make apple pie, bread, croissants and macarons! Special thanks to Chef Imke! You were such a pleasure to learn from, I will definitely come back for more classes! Also thank you to chef Meghan for the macaron class!

Attended Le Dolci’s “Introduction to Cake Decorating” class and thoroughly enjoyed it. Chef Juan José was personable, friendly and good humoured. We learned about buttercream, how to crumb coat, frost and decorate cakes using a variety of tips. While I’ve been baking for years, decorating isn’t something I do often (outside of using fondant stamps to create cookie gifts). This was a great intro class in a relaxed, fun environment. I’d definitely attend another class or look at an intermediate class to improve my skills. And I got to take home my birthday cake as a bonus!

I took a cake decoration class with Ati. It was the most wonderful experience! Ati was so knowledgeable and explained clearly every step of the way. The place is so beautiful and everything was very organized with the proper tools and ingredients. I was so happy and proud of myself with my cake result. It was thanks to the amazing instructor, Ati, and the whole positive ambiance of the place.

The staff was very kind and extremely helpful in offering suggestions that I shud get. I got a mini cake with a brigadiero and 3 easter bunny chocs. The cake was alright - the brigadiero was amazing. The chocolates were good. My problem was value for money - too expensive for the quality.

One of the bests! My suggestions:cheese bun(pão de queijo) & deep fried chicken bun(coxinha) These both taste like heaven 😍😍 Their staff are pretty nice & sweet. This has became one of our usual spots in the neighborhood. A nice cozy cafe with great sweets & savouries. They also offer a variety of tees & they use del malo coffee beans which makes them even more awesome!😍 Thanks again

Amazing Brazilian bakery. My favorite is cheese scorn. It’s made with tapioca flour and cheese. It melts in your mouth, so creamy and soft texture. I appreciate they have breakfast food. I get to enjoy the taste of real Brazilian foods. 💓💓💓

A taste of Brazil in Toronto! I don’t live nearby, but I happened to be passing through and decided to check out the place, what a fantastic experience. I ordered pingado + pão na chapa, pão de queijo, mate with lime, a palm heart empada, coxinha, and pudim to go. The only thing I wasn’t too fond of was the coxinha dough, I personally prefer the ones made with potato. Other than that, everything was spot-on, authentically Brazilian and absolutely delicious!

Padaria in Toronto is a hidden gem for Brazilian cuisine lovers. Their salgadinhos were simply divine! The flaky pastry and savory fillings were a perfect combination. The staff was incredibly accommodating and polite, making us feel right at home. While the prices might be a tad higher than expected, the quality of the food justifies the cost. As someone who has spent time in Brazil, dining at Padaria brought back a wave of nostalgia. The authentic flavours and atmosphere transported me right back to the bustling streets of Sāo Paulo. Overall, Padaria is a must-visit for anyone craving delicious Brazilian food. Their salgadinhos are a standout, and the friendly service makes it a delightful experience. We can't wait to return and explore more of their menu.

The coxinha was good. The empadas were ok. The coffee was just ok too. The sonho was under expectations. And overall everything is overpriced like most Brazilian places.

Rafaela and Fernanda were super sweet and helpful with suggestions. A bit on a pricier end than chains, but we prefer supporting local spots and try new flavors!

I ordered a vegan chocolate & strawberry cupcake which was filled with strawberry jam, very tasty and fresh. The coffee was delicious too. The service was a little bit slow but it was a busy day and you can tell the employee was giving her best! Very nice and helpful. I’ll definitely be back.

We hired Cafe Pastel/Pastel Bakes to bake our wedding cake and it was perfect!!! Their team was very friendly and communicative, and we were able to custom design the cake to a photo I sent with some extra details. The cake was delicious, and we are so happy with how it turned out! Would definitely recommend Pastel Bakes!

I joined a cake decorating class here with friends, and it was such a fun experience. The instructor was fantastic. She walked us through each step clearly, answered all our questions with patience, and even gave me a hand when I got stuck on my design. It was a little on the pricey side, but absolutely worth it. We got to choose between passion fruit or vanilla cakes and mix our own colors, which made it extra creative. The time flew by so quickly. As a bonus, we arrived a bit early and tried some of their food and drinks before class. Everything was delicious, and we loved that we could continue enjoying them while decorating. I’d definitely recommend this class to anyone looking for a unique and fun activity.

We ordered a custom birthday cake for our toddler and the results were absolutely stunning - we requested a turtle themed cake inspired by brickworks in Toronto and the cake Maliha created for us was absolutely stunning - the vanilla custard inside was also delicious. Thanks for creating such a special cake for our celebration! ❤️

Recently ordered a cake from here for the first time and it was delicious. No complains about the taste and execution, but when I was picking up my order, the lady behind the counter whose name I didn’t catch (light hair, british accent) needs to drop her attitude, she made me feel absolutely unwelcome there. She couldn’t find my order and was getting visibly irritated by it. Smile and simple “thank you ” goes a long way. I will definitely order something from this bakery again, but will choose a delivery next time instead of pick up.

This cafe was so cute. It’s a small vegan bakery in Chinatown. I didn’t know it was vegan, and gluten- free going into it. I’m not vegan so I can’t speak for the rest of the customers but I found their baked goods all have a gooey texture, not much of a bite. I got the Blondie, and their chocolate chunk cookie, and it didn’t taste that good. My friend bought some donuts and they all had a salty but strong baking soda taste. The taste of the baked goods weren’t that good, but the service was awesome, the person who helped us was so friendly.

Had the jam filled cookie and a ginger donut and I gotta say I was happy with the taste and quality. The sugar cookie was 10/10; I will have it again and the donut was maybe 1 minute under done but it didn't really impact the taste just texture- 5/10 The shop is cute and cozy and the attendant was kind. The placement of the info tags definitely need to be rearranged because they were confusing and in the wrong spot. Better than bunners down the street

This is a charming local bakery that specializes in gluten-free, vegan and keto type of desserts! If you are trying them for the first time, it has a different texture from regular pastries but nonetheless I really enjoyed the chocolate chunk cookies! The chocolate tasted very good, high quality. Also likes their selection of Pluck teas and the homemade mint tea, not sweet at all and so fresh! Thank you very much! Id love to come by and try other desserts.

This is a very cute location, the owners are super welcoming and the pastries are clearly made with a lot of attention to detail and a lot of love!! Everything was delicious, no exceptions - my absolute favourite was the peanut butter bar - WHAT A DELICIOUS bite, if I had known it was that good I would have ordered 10 more. This little piece of chocolatey peanut butter delight made my day!!!

Always impressed by the perfection of their treats! Friendly staff and delicious goods. Great place to stop by for a snack or for a treat for friends! Although the writing on the glass/fridge doors are kinda confusing and don't always match up to the desserts There was also a girl making out with her bf over the counter and not paying attention to us, patiently waiting to order. Inappropriate but also understandable 🙄

Yummy refined sugar free desserts including cakes!! Highly recommend! I loved their cupcakes too (super moist and very fresh raspberry sauce) and I usually am not a cupcake person.

Won a mini apple pie crumble cake from here and it was the cutest cake ever! Although the cake part was not as fluffy as I would have liked, I really enjoyed the flavour of apple and fall spices. Thanks for having me :)

Olivia’s cakes are the best, she is our go to person for our cakes.We have been ordering cakes from her since 2020 for multiple occasions (wedding ceremony, reception and birthdays) and they have always been great. She is professional, she is consistent with her recipe and the flavours, and the cakes are very tasty. Aside from that the finishing of the cakes are amazing. She makes sugar flowers with so many beautiful details and she makes the best fondant I’ve tried in Toronto, not too sweet, it doesn’t taste like plastic like some others. We will continue ordering from Olivia, and referring our friends to her, she always goes above and beyond to meet and exceed the expectations.

This is the fourth cake my family has ordered from Olivia, and once again, she absolutely blew us away—this time with our wedding cake! We chose mango passion fruit, opera, and white chocolate raspberry for our tiers, and every single flavor was a hit. Each one was full of flavour and our guests are still talking about it! Olivia is an excellent communicator, transparent, and provides top-tier service from start to finish. She's not only amazingly talented in her craft, but also a true professional who makes the entire process seamless and enjoyable. Trust me—you will not be disappointed. I cannot recommend her enough!

Olivia was absolutely incredible to work with for our wedding day. Her sincere kindness and care are matched by her wonderful professionalism, communication, and of course her artistry! We had a great consultation session where she was not only receptive to my vision, but also provided her expertise and guidance on the design. We also really appreciated the opportunity to try the flavours before committing to a deposit (which she has an excellent and unique policy for as well). Her prices I found were quite reasonable, and of course they are up-front on the website which was helpful during the planning and budgeting process. In the end we went with the hazelnut flavour (but the option to get different flavours on each tier was also great to have) which our guests really enjoyed. The cake itself was gorgeous and exactly what I had been dreaming of!

cool selection of treats, and they’re nice and sweet indulgent treats if that’s what you’re looking for. i tried the salted caramel banana pudding, which was a bit small for the price honestly. it’s definitely on the thicker side, and the salted caramel gave it a saltier, malty flavour compared to lighter sweeter tasting banana puddings that we have in toronto. there were many slices of banana though, so it was still very sweet and had a strong banana taste. there was biscoff crumble, but i wish there was more because i really like biscoff crumbs in my banana pudding, and i feel like there wasn’t enough to create the same distinct earthy flavour and crunchy texture. i also tried the cornflake brownie, which was very hefty and very fudgy. it was vEry sweet and the chocolate sweetness was rich and concentrated. the cornflakes on top were slightly crunchy and crispy, and had a sugariness tinted with maybe a salty caramel coating? not the best desserts i’ve ever had, but it’s a good sweet treat and there are lots of options !!!!

Got a vegan/gluten free chocolate cake slice and wow it was so delicious. The flavour of the cake was great and the icing was amazing! My family couldn’t tell it was gluten free or vegan. My only feedback was the cake was a bit dry.

I came into the shop and purchased two cake slices, a brownie and banana pudding. The owner is very kind and helpful, the store is very clean and organized. Sorrel and raspberry cake slice - I will not lie, this cake was dry. The flavouring of the ingredients was amazing but hard to appreciate when the cake itself is so dry, even down to the icing. I let it sit out for 2 hours so idk if maybe it was just a bad batch? The carrot cake however, was one of the BEST cakes I’ve ever had in my entire life. So moist, full of flavour and the perfect caramel ratio! Never had a carrot cake so light and delicious. Really enjoyed that slice and if I ever did come back, that would be the one I’d get. Highly recommend. 11/10!! S’mores brownie - amazing concept but I found the brownie to be a bit cakey which is fine, my family are I guess more fudgy brownie folks. But good chocolate flavour, the marshmallow on top was nice too. And finally the banana pudding - I wanted to love this, I really did but I have beef with banana pudding that doesn’t have bananas IN it. Again, personal preference I suppose The flavour was good but not as banana forward as I’d like (again, for obvious reasons) but the pudding texture was nice and the cookies on top were still crunchy after a full day in the fridge. Overall I like the spot, I’m a big advocate for supporting small business especially when they’re female and poc owned. I will be back for that carrot cake in the future.

The only bakery I order from for my birthday cakes! The cakes are stunning but more importantly, the taste is incomparable! I feel like there are a lot of cakes out there that look good but don’t taste good, but not these cakes, the flavour is everything! Favourite flavour is the passionfruit, I dream about it. I also love to support a local woman owner business! The owner is passionate about what she does and that comes through in her delicious treats.

I don't live downtown nor do I drive, so it took me 2 hours to get here and I was a bit disappointed with my overall experience. I bought 4 brownies and the caramel banana pudding. The banana pudding was great, gave most of it to my sister who lives for banana pudding and she loved it. 10/10 for that. The brownies I bought were: Cornflake, Red Velvet, S'mores, and the Everything brownie. Cornflake: This is truly the brownie I came down for. I saw the malted cornflakes and I knew I had to have it. It was as good as it looks too. 10/10 S'mores: The homemade marshmellow was perfect, wow. And the graham cracker bottom was great too. It was so fudgy as well. 10/10 Everything: The pretzel on top tasted stale. You know how left out pretzels get that damp kind of texture to it? That's how it was. It was not crunchy at all. I also didn't really like the add-ins inside the brownie either. I gave this one to my mom but she didn't like it either as she found it to be too sweet, which definitely wasn't an issue for me personally. 5/10 since it wasn't the taste for anyone in my household. Red Velvet: I had high hopes for this one. The cream cheese was great; I took some of it off so I could eat it after I finished the brownie. The brownie was thick and fudgy too, but like the Everything brownie, it had a lot going on texture wise that I just really didn't like. I wondered if there was walnuts or some other kind of nut in the brownie. I am not allergic to most nuts, but I do not eat nuts. And with every bite, there was just something hard in the brownie, it bothered me so much... If not nuts, I wonder if there is something freeze dried in it? Either way, it was disappointing to eat.. 6/10 Overall, it's obvious these brownies are made with high quality ingredients and they're very thick and fudgy. It's just that some were a sensory nightmare for me. The owner of BAS is so charismatic on social media but walking into the quiet quaint store, not being greeted, and talking to an employee in the middle of their lunch break (?) who came off like they didn't want to be there was a bit off putting. Her magnetic charm on social media doesn't really translate to the overall ambience of the store, but honestly that's not her fault. Would I come back? Yes. Would I take another 2 hour transit ride to come back? Absolutely not. Do I think she needs to start selling those malted cornflakes on their own? Also yes! I even took some of the cornflake topping off to eat after I finished the brownie. Overall experience was average. The ones that were good were really good. The ones that weren't so good were still high quality. This is a place worth going to if you already live downtown.

Happy to find a shop to specialize in brownies as it is my favourite dessert. Loved the Miso toffee cookie and brown butter brownie.

Hands down the best brownies I have ever tasted. I love the one with cornflakes on top. However. I wasn’t 💯 in love with the cake slices I tried.
