From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with genuine smiles and warm hospitality that instantly makes you feel at home. The food is consistently fresh and beautifully prepared. A true hidden gem that never disappoints!

Traditional sushi restaurant with superb quality. Lots of good appetizers, side-dishes and seasonal items as well. Service is friendly and swift. All in all a really good experience, will be back when back in Berlin!

Excellent Japanese restaurant, we had sushi à la carte and it was outstanding. My wife also had the sake sampler (3 small cups) and she found it also extremely good. Same level as best sushi in Japan.

893 Ryōtei is one of those places that grabs your attention before you even step inside. The entrance is super low-key — blink and you’ll miss it — which weirdly adds to the charm. It sets the vibe right away: cool, edgy, kind of mysterious. Inside, the atmosphere is a bit of a mixed bag. It’s definitely aiming for that moody, intimate feel, but honestly, it’s dark. Like, squinting-at-the-menu dark. And the table setup’s a little cramped — not ideal if you’re sharing a bunch of dishes, which you’ll probably want to do here. We spent a lot of time rearranging plates just to make space. Food-wise? No complaints. Everything we tried was super fresh, well-made, and packed with flavor. But heads up: portions are small. We had to order extra just to feel like we’d actually had dinner. So don’t come starving unless you’re ready to shell out a bit more. The real standout was the service — the staff were awesome. Super friendly, knew the menu inside and out, and happy to walk us through it all. That kind of attention always makes a difference. One weird thing: the timing of dishes was way off. Mains showed up before the starters, and not even at the same time. My plate came way earlier than my partner’s, and then the appetizers rolled in late. Definitely not what you expect from a place at this price point. Speaking of which — yeah, it’s pricey. You’re paying for quality and style, but between the portion sizes and the uneven pacing, it doesn’t exactly scream great value.

The food was outstanding 10/10, every bite was delicious. The waitress was also very attentive. However, I do agree with the comments that say that portions are small, we had the royal menu for 2 and I had to buy something else to eat on the way home. As said, the ingredients quality is outstanding so maybe that can justify the price 🤷🏽‍♀️

Nice restaurant. Food and service was amazing, just a bit too pricy, but you pay for the atmosphere and the place. They seem to had a problem with the illumination in the bar seats by the kitchen, the light were going on and off. If you go early the music in not that loud, but latter in the evening gets noisy. I was just visiting Berlin for few days so i can’t say if this is a very good restaurant by the Berlin standards, but its something you can find somewhere else

Solid spot - worth the hype🤍 I’ve been meaning to check this place out ever since I saw it in my fav chef’s food blog, and finally made it. The sushi was super fresh🪄like, melt-in-your-mouth fresh. Really clean, well-made sushi the way it should be. Service was great too, chill, friendly, and on point without being over the top. Overall, it’s just a place that gets it right. Good vibes, quality food! Definitely somewhere I’ll be coming back to.

This restaurant is truly unique and atmospheric. If you don’t already know it’s there, you might think the location is just an abandoned building covered in graffiti. Once inside, however, you discover a beautifully designed interior with a moody, intimate vibe. The food is absolutely excellent, and the service at the bar is top-notch. A wonderful dining experience overall – I highly recommend it!

We had a four course dinner. We asked for a pescatarian menu, but since the dishes are mostly with meat, we didn’t get a lot of pescatarian or vegetarian dishes. the salad I can highly recommend. I really love them. It’s a nice experience. something different for a nice occasion.

I went there for dinner. I was sitting outside. The service was super friendly and nice and well trained about the menu card. They could suggest certain things to eat in general. The food was fine. Very delicious. It is nice to share the food. Kind of tapas concept to share.

One of the best sushi places in Berlin. The food is really really nice. Every single dish is so well designed and carefully prepared. Our recommendation are the tuna nigiris and the steak. Try to book early as it gets crowded easily. A bit noisy sometimes. Also we recommend ordering early as because it gets crowded some plates can delay a bit and service also. It is a nice place to experience when you have time and not to rush. Service was also very nice.

Toro and Hamachi quality is definitely high. Uni is a bit bitter than in Japan/China but this is the best Uni you can get from Mediterranean honestly, super fresh. And the beef tartare, I kinda craved that but I was skeptical if I should order that here but in the end it was unexpectedly almost the best beef tartare I've had this year.

We had a dinner for two and really enjoyed it. Loved the attention for details like the bag hook and taking the jackets. All dishes we had were fresh and on point. Would highly recommend reserving via their online booking system (you can even choose the area you prefer!)

The ambience, service, food were excellent. It's not noisy, so you can easily talk to people, I recommend taking cocktails as they're creative, beef tataki, sushi Kamchatka, octopus, everything was on a high level. I was here 2 times, both times the service was great.

Our recent visit to The Catch was, quite simply, an absolutely fantastic night that surpassed all expectations. From the moment we sat down until the very last bite, the experience was faultless, combining culinary mastery with truly outstanding hospitality. We ordered several highlights, including the perfectly seared scallops, the rich and tender tunabelly, and the flambéed lachs (salmon). The fresh, delicate flavors of the Hamachi and the Caviar rounded out a sophisticated selection of appetizers and mains. However, the true showstopper was a dessert that deserves its own spotlight: the Basque Cheesecake. Paired unconventionally with a black sesame praline and peanut, this creation was a next-level surprise and a genuine taste explosion. It was unexpected, perfectly balanced, and easily the most memorable dessert we’ve had in recent memory! What truly elevated our evening from great to perfect was the incredible support and attention we received from Pedro. He is a standout professional with an excellent eye for detail and thoughtful actions throughout the night. His recommendations, especially his insistence on trying that game-changing dessert, were spot-on. Pedro’s attentive presence and genuine care ensured our evening was seamless and entirely joyful. We highly recommend The Catch, not only for its on-point food but also for the caliber of service provided by team members like Pedro. If you’re looking for an exceptional dining experience, this is the place.

Very ordinary food—I’ve had much better in Berlin! The shared appetizer (papaya salad) arrived without plates, and the pho bo was incredibly bland. The only saving grace was the salmon, which was decent, but at €26, it felt overpriced. Overall, a disappointing experience. I won’t be returning. But the presentation of the food was very nice.

I ordered a small Pho (€12.99) — as a normal adult woman in most places, I sometimes can’t even finish the small portion. But when this bowl showed up, I seriously thought they brought me the kindergarten size…the taste was great, the service was excellent, but if you plan to actually eat and not just admire the bowl — go for the large one (€19.99). Totally overpriced sushi spot mit average sushi. We tried almost every dish and the only one that was really good was the grilled salmon on rice. Rest is small in portion and ok taste. Not worth the price.

Fine Asian kitchen in a quiet street. The fish quality is generally very good and fresh. The use to serve the sushi rolls with a delicious guacamole and pickled tomatoes. Take care with the side salad they bring on the top of the sushi rolls: it is not always well clean and can ruin your meal. Take advantage of the lunch menu for 10€ !

The food was so good, and the service was great. The restaurant was nice with a great atmosphere. We came for dinner and ordered sushi. We liked it so much that we came back the next day for dinner and shared the hokkaido curry and ox noodles.

Overrated & do not recommend ! Food was average: Ordered tea that arrived lukewarm, dim sum were not handmade, edamame was too salty and cold, sushi was mostly bland - nothing special. Service: Talked to a variety of waitresses. One was kind and attentive, while the other two were simply rude. Don’t bother asking questions because they don’t have the time nor the desire to help you. Overall experience was simply bad and do not recommend this place for any foodie and person that values professionalism.

Very good sushi. Everything was fresh and well presented. The spider rolls were delicious but so was everything else. I had a hard time choosing and went with the Sushi Menu Imperial and was quite happy.

The portions are huge when it comes to Udon Soup! We got the crispy duck and spicy beef. I definitely recommend the fried gyozas they are so crispy on the outside. The Green Tea Ice cream is also delicious.

Some of the best Japanese fusion food outside of Japan. We really miss our travels to Japan and Korea. This place definitely hit the spot and satisfied our sushi craving! Not to pricy. Definitely worth the money. Although we walked in without a reservation, the staff quickly accommodated me and my family of 5. I truly appreciated their willingness to accommodate us that evening. We found it by google map and then just tried it. We had a quick lunch Salmon teriyaki and it came with soup. One thing that I don’t like it Salmon texture is too dry and outside is a bit hard. The sauce should be more stronger. But overall the food was looking good. I am not an expert but I had it from many restaurants in EU and Asia. It could be better than this. The portion is good. What a gem! Best meal I’ve had in Berlin so far. Highly recommend this Vietnamese restaurant! The summer rolls and vegetarian crispy rolls are delicious. For mains I recommend either the “Bo xao chao gang”(Beef on pan) or the “Bun bo nam bo”(Beef bowl).

We had a delicious meal at Anjoy, with good service. I thoroughly enjoyed the Flower Power salad, the rice rolls, the duck filet, and the stuffed crepe. Everything was nicely presented with fresh herbs on the side. For dessert, we had a panna cotta dessert with coconut milk and berries with mango puree. The final invoice was a bit high, but we enjoyed our meal.

I am a tourist from Malaysia with my relatives who wanted to have a Chinese buffet, and we decided to land at this restaurant. While we were enjoying our dinner, a senior waiter collected our plates, and rudely, a d said leftover food would be charged. Hang on a second we are not here to waste food but some food the kids coudlt eat due to the taste doesn't meet their expectations. We were dispointed the behaviour of this particular senior waiter with disrespecting me and my relatives. We will not be back in this restaurant anymore. We would urge the restaurant management to train their staff, particularly the senior waiter, how to be polite. We are disappointed. Other wise, nice, wonderful ambient.

I generally like buffet lunches. We made a reservation and got there. The variety was good. Price to variety ratio was good. And food I tried, I can definitely say was fresh. I loved the spring rolls and sushi. The noodles were also good. The rice was okayish but all in all i still give it a 5 star because the ambience was nice. The staff was friendly and they kept refilling the food very quickly. In addition, the deserts were good as well. Loved rhe icecream machine.

Great atmosphere, the minute you step into the restaurant you feel like its a special place different from any other restaurant ive visited. The staff is extremely polite and friendly, with great food at a good price.

It was a really nice experience. We had lunch at 1 pm and finished at 4 pm, just as they were changing for the evening buffet. So, we couldn't get food from the buffet after 3 pm. However, between 3 and 5 pm, a lot of people arrived, probably from "Good To Go," to take the leftover food. This allowed us to get an even cheaper price and prevent waste. The buffet offered a very good variety of choices. Although there was no grill, there were still plenty of fried items, as well as soups, fruits, vegetables, and salads. Everything was fresh and of good quality, and there weren't too many people there during lunchtime. The bathroom was also clean and not smelly. The service was good as well.

The place is very nice and quiet, and the sushi was very good from the vegetarian perspective (some interesting options in the menu). The staff, Japanese guys, were all very friendly. The Moscow Mule felt like without vodka, but after making a little comment, the vodka was immediately added. Left the place satisfied!

Unfortunately I have to leave a negative review, as the buffet was totally inadequate. The food cases were dirty and the fish quality was low. The staff and the atmosphere, on the other hand, were good. I was welcomed by friendly and attentive waiters. Considering these observations, I am rating the restaurant with an overall 2/5, also considering the medium-to-high price that would demand a much higher standard.

Authentic Japanese food, very fresh fish and high quality ingredients. Overall, however, I believe it is just too expensive for what you get. Regarding the “izakaya” concept, I would have expected more affordable options for dishes to share while having a drink. Also, the place could definitely use more service staff.

This was my second experience at Gingi's. Last time was in 2022. Now, three years later, nothing has changed. Everything is as good as it always was !! All of the fish is so fresh and tender. The ingredients are top. If you're looking for some real authentic Japanese lunch or dinner, this definitely is the place to be. Will come again any time I'm in Berlin.

I have the feeling that I wrote this review before but in any case, I'm doing it again. I went to this place because it was an special occasion . It was the chef who talked to us and he has zero charisma. Ok, fine. . We asked a couple of things and it was a fine day. The sushi is just really good but I don't like so much fusion Japanese cuisine. At the end, I spent like €200 for a couple. Not a problem if the food is good. Almost leaving the place, I noticed that they were advertising a sake festival in 2 weeks. I signed up for the event. Knowing that something could be wrong, I passed in front of the restaurant a day before the event. The waiter was extremely friendly saying that our reservation was confirmed. Then I asked about the festival and the waiter talked to the chef. Well, for my surprise the chef doesn't speak English. Only deutsch. Ok. Fine. But... Guess what? The chef told us that the festival would not happen because it's too much work(!!!!). And I asked. Why you didn't call us? He replied saying that I didn't wrote my number in the reservation bool (I'm pretty sure I did). He also completed saying that he even fired the last waitress. Well... He could ask if we would come or not. Even if the festival would not happen but no. The guy(chef) is extremely unprofessional and it doesn't make any sense to go there. I don't care about to pay for an expensive dinner but the quality has to follow the price. I'm extremely disappointed and will never come back there. Usually I give 2, 3 chances for the same place.. But this one is quite bad. Btw... There are much better Japanese restaurants in Berlin. Don't waste your time there. It's like a lottery. It might or not work. Chekc the bad reviews...

I came here Friday around 6pm with two friends, we paid around €15 each and we ate pretty well. The sushi rice can use a little more sweet vinegar as it was a little bit dry. Otherwise, the server was lovely and friendly where the atmosphere hit the right tunes.

15 years ago I used to eat here regularly on the way home from work. The place was great then and always crowded. Food today was bad and the place empty. Not sure when things changed but this isn’t close to what it used to be.

Nice little restaurant with good, friendly service. The food is very tasty and you can see how they prepare it in the kitchen. Downside is that the seating is very packed and the restroom was smelly. Its a bit nervous as constantly delivery service people getting in and out. I had a warm sake, tea, gyoza and a medium sushi plate. All together for 27€ 👍

Excellent! I was staying in a hotel nearby. Delivery was perfect and food is absolutely great for money/value. Sashimi is especially great, thick and tasty slices. Chopsticks and soy sauce were provided. I loved it.

One of the best places i love to visit. It’s affordable (especially if you go there at noon for the special deals) and the food is phenomenal. I love the bentos and the sushi, as-well as the dumplings and the tofu soup. It could have a better location but sitting inside is cozy, although it is quite small (this means you have to reserve seats if you want to eat there) obviously there’s also 2G rules active.

Great little spot with authentic food! Very busy on a Saturday evening for dinner! I had the salmon and tuna don which was delicious. The bento box was the main surprise which was a huge portion and perfectly done tempura.

I went several time to Tabibito but not sure I will come back. - they prioritise Wolt pick ups over the clients they have in their restaurant. I would hire supplementary cooks or open a separate kitchen, we had to wait ~45/50 minutes to get our food - the restaurant needs a good refresh: the walls were covered with fruit flies. While having a few is not something I would complain normally about, here we’re talking about hundreds and this feels a bit disgusting. Please take some time to address that issue because it looks like bad hygiene.

They really make the food with love I can taste in every dish, the tofu was amazing, perfect size for appetizer, I got the eel don, was sooo good, I found the price is a bit higher compare to other Japanese place.

Reservation recommended. We really enjoyed our stay but the chef was working so hard to keep up with the Wolt delivery orders and the waitress could not keep pace with taking orders, serving and cleaning up tables.

Evrything from the service to food to atmosphere was perfect! We made sure to book in advance as it is always fully booked during the weekend and for a reason!!!! The Tuna Tostada was soooo good along with the torched salmon, the Tuna Toro amazingly fresh. The SeaBass was perfectly coocked and the Aubergine with peanut butter was something i never thought i’d ever try but was epic:) definitely coming back

Amazing food and service. Def a must if you come here is to try the nigiris. The homemade bread was a really nice surprise, because of how good it was. We loved the croquettes and duckbreast. For dessert we had the cheesecake, which I can recommend. The service was great as well. We were not able to sit in the bar in front of the kitchen, which is what a lot of people recommend as part of the experience. So try to book ahead if you want to sit in the bar.

Honestly, after three years in Berlin, we finally found a place where everything feels perfect. The food is true art: every dish was unique, and the dashi jelly was a total wow. Solid Japanese French fusion food. The flavours were very innovative. Really liked the flavours of the food, but I wish their raw items were a bit colder. The duck was also absolutely delicious and tender. The service was 10/10, and we really loved the atmosphere of the restaurant. Even received a few free bites throughout the night.

I don’t eat out as much in Berlin, let alone order seafood cos the food scene here is not as impeccable as Paris, Barcelona or London. November wowed us: especially the food (standouts: salmon carpaccio, torched salmon nigiri, sea bass) and service (not pretentious at all, highly trained and well-managed staff, they know each others’ flow, sensitive of finished plates, highly knowledgeable). Me and my girlfriend sat at the chefs’ area, getting us front row seats + complementary nigiri that night. Incredible for a little date night or a group of friends. I liked it. Its not the best Japanese what i had but i liked the service and food. Rice can be better such as temperature or texture. And sauce generally had quite supermarket sauce mixed with A&B taste was there. Food quality and price doesn’t match in my point but the freshness of ingredients were there.

They had a whole fresh tuna right in the center of the restaurant, and a Japanese chef prepared a full course menu using different cuts of the tuna. What made the experience truly amazing was how he explained everything — the different cuts, the textures, what was more buttery, and how each part of the tuna changes in flavor. We got to learn so much while tasting the tuna in several ways, and everything was incredibly fresh and delicious. Even though this event doesn’t happen every day, I’m really glad I was there for it. It was unique, educational, and absolutely delicious. Highly recommended!

This place! Still a hidden gem in Mitte and just a quick walk from Fotografiska off Torstraße and Linienstraße. It's one of my absolute favorite go-to spots for extravagant Japanese food, especially the sushi and sashimi. They also offer an outstanding selection of Japanese spirits, cocktails, and drinks! If you're looking for an extraordinary Japanese izakaya and sushi experience with incredible sips to match, you have to check Sahoi out!

We were at Blue fin tuna show. The premium menu included cocktails and Bajiru cocktail was really tasty.Very interesting concept and the taste was BEYOND amazing. The service was really great with amazing and super friendly personnel. The ONLY problem was the portions. They were extremely small and almost all portions were served for two! I’m possible to appreciate the taste since in one bite it was already gone. Just a reminder that the Tuna was 96kg! It felt like half pleasure after each course.

Not sure whether a slow day or generally lower energy, but was not really amazed. The interaction with staff was rigid and perhaps only one younger lady was bit more interested in us. We asked for English menu, but it was never followed up. The rest of the time - absolute silence and staff sitting on their phones at the central table. When food came the order was little random. One soup well ahead and the rest just in good time later. Including edamame what i would have expected as starter. Flavors were passable but no thrills. Without soy definitely just bland. Loooots of rice. Bathroom area- low standards and having some washing clothes drying on a rack in public space not too pretty neither. Unfortunately compares as one of worst experiences and won’t return.

We’ve always gone to Ishin on Mittelstrasse 24 and have been absolutely thrilled with the quality of the sushi and, above all, the service. Yesterday, we tried the Ishin location on Charlottenstrasse 16 for the first time. You’d think it would be the same standard, given it’s the same chain — but what a difference. The service was terrible. We waited 20 minutes for a waitress, even though the restaurant was almost empty — and that’s not even getting into the other details. The quality of the sushi also wasn’t great. Overall, we left disappointed, mostly because of the poor service — even though the place itself is actually quite cozy.

Went here for lunch on a week day, and I can recommend it! The salmon tasted fresh, portion and prices were ok. Since the place is located in the most central part of Berlin, there was a long line and the place was quite hectic. The waiters did their best, were friendly and fast. But the atmosphere is really more for a quick business lunch, I‘d say.

The toro was terrible, not fresh and looked and tasted more like a tartar. Unfortunately today wasn't the best, the Ishin from Mittelstraße has higher standards. Salmon was fine

Second time going to the restaurant and we order from them a lot. The sushi is great quality, the best I’ve had in Berlin so far, and the staff is really nice and friendly. The only two things that need attention, in my opinion, is the music (way too loud), and the restaurant itself is too small for the amount of tables it has, it’s really difficult to be comfortable when you have to bump into people to go to the bathroom. 5 stars to the sushi and staff though 🖤🙌🏽

They serve fusion Sushi, including some very innovative Sushi creations. Taste was good, I wouldn’t say the best in town like some other reviewers did. Prices are too high for the taste in my opinion. Waiter was super friendly and forthcoming, just found it weird that they poured soy sauce into all our plates. Never seen that before, not even in Japan. Can highly recommend Gang Shrimp Appetizer and Cheesecake Dessert. Sushi was tasty but nothing extraordinary.

It's a very nice place and experience. The sushi tastes good, the service is great and the atmosphere is cool. Though, It's a bit sad that in such place you cannot pay by card. Specially that the place is quite pricy and you need to make sure you carry enough cash. I would also not recommend online orders as the whole experience will be missed!

I had a good birthday dinner here with my family. The staff was very kind to the kids and delivered a fast service. We enjoyed a set menu for two adults and set menus for two kids + several single dishes. Everything was pretty decent, except the shrimp sticks had no flavour and the sushi could also be improved. Other than that, everything was on point and we enjoyed the experience. Our bill was 185€ for 3 adults and 2 kids. No alcohol or desserts were consumed.

The restaurant has a nice ambiance, the servers sufficiently friendly and quick and the food is of a high standard. Is it relatively expensive? Yes. Are there places in Berlin where you can have similar quality sushi for less? Yes… but the experience is none the less an enjoyable one and dare I say feels somewhat special in the sense that it is more slowed down and refined than your standard bustling sushi joint. Worth a try!

Great service, great food but in small portions! We went here for lunch on a rainy February afternoon. We ordered Salmon tartare, tuna tartare, and some sushi. The food was delicious but the portion size, in my opinion, didn't justify the price. The service here was excellent and the ambience was peaceful.

The food was truly amazing! As I do not eat seaweed I find it hard to find a japanese restaurant with a lot of options without seaweed, and Sticks and Sushi was perfect.The service was excellent, something I find hard to find in Berlin. As soon as we got there with our dog, she was offered a bowl with water. Our waiter Ashan was amazing, he knew how to explain the items we ordered, gave us some recomendations, friendly and we even got a little surprise for celebrating a special occasion. We will definetely go back!

Sticks’n’Sushi is innovative yet classic with their take on Japanese food. The fish served is very fresh and high quality. Their take on sushi is beautiful balance of classic traditional Japanese flavours and modern European fusion. The drinks are super good and pleasant to compliment the food. Sticks on the other hand I am not very big fan of. Although they taste great, I just don’t like to eat East Asian food on a stick. Could’ve been simply an extremely busy hour but my meal lasted 1.5 hours because each course was delivered super late. The servers are great and good communicators but the time between meals ruined the otherwise great experience.

I was disappointed to begin with since the only reservation I could get was 18:30, which was a bit of a rush from work, and the intense moody storm weather. However, SAN could be the best sushi in Berlin. From the customer service, to the impeccable quality of fish - this restaurant is remarkable. Our servers were on point in offering descriptions of the food and possibilities to experiment with it. Our wine glasses were never empty. A rare gem of high quality that deserves my time. It’s definitely on the expensive side, but I doubt you’ll manage to find better sushi in Berlin. If you’re into raw fish nearly as much as me, it will be worth it. The service was impeccable. The space curated but intimate and cozy. Make sure to make a reservation!

This restaurant is absolutely insane and incredible. The flavours the way it served is exactly like you would expect in Tokyo. I’m very picky when it comes to Japanese food. And first I didn’t want to post about this restaurant…. Because I’m afraid too many people will go there and I won’t be able to get a table anymore. But it’s too good not to share.! I think it’s the best Japanese food I had outside of Japan in my life. The fish melts in your tongue. 👅 the flavors, the wasabi, and also the drinks that were served were all one amazing umami. Please when you visit this restaurant feel every bite with love 🫶

There are these rare moments when eating really good sushi, when you make all those sounds like mmh and 😋 and put aside your chopsticks to really enjoy sushi the way it was meant to be eaten with your hands. The starters we had were also very delicious. And please don't forget to ask for your favourites, ours were spicy tuna and eel and our sushi chef enjoyed putting together amazing creations which we promptly gobbled up 🤤

The most delicious sushi in Berlin. It's a sushi train & you pick what you want. You watch the chefs prepare it in front of you. Its really good value, we had maybe 8 plates and it was €65 (including drinks). Lovely waiter and the chefs were friendly. No complaints!

We were trying to visit them on sundays sushi class. Not yet😂 But we tried wonderful sushi first for takeaway and next day inside. Boats are great despite we took a table and made an order based on menu but not on a chef’s fantasy. Really great. Fresh and tasty. Not so cozy looking, but if you wanna eat one of the greatest sushi in Berlin, no matter how it looks.

A canteen style restaurant where you choose food from the display, they serve it on your plate and you pay. Pretty basic ambience, but welcoming. The food itself, which is all vegetarian, is very good with a home made feel to it because they kitchen is right there on the other side of the counter. They make fresh squeezed fruit juice on demand, none of the bottle stuff. I have been here three times and the food is consistent in taste. The variety is wide as well as overall quite healthy without being greasy. Almost all of their offerings are of the baked kind. On the flip side, the service during lunch hour is slooowwww. Only one person plating your order and another person warming it up. They seem to have all the time in world. Based on my three experiences, if you have 8 people in front of you waiting their turn, then expect 20 min of wait time. But they service with a smile which is good. Overall it’s a pleasant place to sit and eat. The last time my friend and I both had the Kleiner Teller, each with 2 main dishes, couscous and a fresh bean salad. Between the two of us we sampled 8 different things. Each Kleiner Teller: €9,50.

Nice Restaurant in buffet style, where you can choose between 2 and 4 dishes, depending on the size and price you want to pay. Quite a big variety and everything tasted pretty good! The atmosphere is okay, a bit cold and a que in the middle makes it a little less comfy. However, a great place for fair prices! Everything vegetarian.

Had lunch twice since we enjoyed the first so much. Many options to choose from, all were very appealing and what I actually chose was in fact very good! Only thing I feel wasn’t as good were the salads (included in the small plate formula), but regardeless the place is very paris-like and quiet, perfect for a lunch break. People were also kind and professional, would definitely recommend!

We were there between 15:00-17:00. Open buffet was good regarding the price with nice atmosphere. I didn't have the feeling that the food and ingredients are fresh (main weak point). Craft beer 🍺 was warm--they told me before serving but still disappointing. Go there for quantity more than quality.

I visited there within the crazy hours, but I was asked to pay the special hours. The rule seemed to be that people arrive within the crazy hour need to leave before special hours starts, and the owner decide what you will pay regardless of which time you arrive. Meanwhile, you will also experience the hostility of the owner too. So in my case I could luckily experience the different foods in buffet that (indeed) change depending on time. If you think of visiting there during the lunch (or crazy hours), I would like to say no. Some of food (esp. meats) from crazy time was so disturbing with too much fatty lard for meat that I felt sick during the whole dinner time - but you can not leave it on your dish, cause they will gonna charge you an additional fee for each dishes with left over. Sushi menu during the crazy hours was too weak (basically no sushi but rolls) - there was only one roll menu with real fish. Special hour was relatively better - there were real sushi with sake and a white flesh. Although the amount of rice is too much, taste was fine. Also, other menu seemed to be enhanced during the special hours. After finishing my dinner, I felt quite bad with the aftertaste of low quality food. If I just ate the food from special hours, it might have been better. If you don‘t require extensive amount of food to satisfy yourself, I believe there are many better sushi restaurants in Berlin that can offer sushi of great quality with the same money for special hour.

Visiting Berlin for a couple of days with my 13 year old son who is very fussy about food so a buffet was a wise choice! We found the place very easily, a few minutes walk from Nollendorfplatz U-bahn station. We visited on a Friday evening and there was no waiting time. The food was fresh and there's a large selection of sushi, grilled meats, cooked dishes and a small veggie salad bar + deserts and ice-cream. The meat is freshly grilled before your eyes, everything we chose was delicious! The cake selection was small and my cheesecake and berry jello weren't very tasty but the ice-cream was lovely. There were two choices of noodles and they were more Chinese than Japanese style. There are no English labels for anything so we intuitively chose with our eyes! Our server was nice but didn't go out of her way to explain anything about how the buffet works but I guess is self explanatory if you've been before to similar places. The place is clean and has pleasant Japanese themed decor. 45 euros for two, with a glass of still water and a glass of sparkling water. I don't drink alcohol but they seemed to have a wide selection of alcoholic beverages, classic choice of soft drinks and a small cocktail bar. Definitely worth the time and the money. My son loved the food too and we had a good time. I would eat here again.

The Place is neat and quiet. The Sushi varieties are really amazing and was a lot. The chicken and the Pork dishes are the best along with the fried Sushis.There were two different fried rices and it was so tasty. Some of the dishes were too oily. The ice cream and puddings were also delicious and was really great quality. We tried everything and it was 13 euros/person for everything. It was kinda busy but quiet and peaceful ambience.

I’m shocked!! 👏❤️ I have never ever seen a buffet like this!!! What ever you wish for it’s there. Wok, stir fried meat, tempura fried meat, salads, pizza, sushi and loads more!!! And it tastes great. 👌The restaurant is beautiful, the waiters are 2 sec away from your table. And they have a big dessert table…even a soft ice cream machine!!!!👏🥰 Even the price is amazing. Only 25 euro per person!!! Will definitely come back❤️🥰👌

This was our first visit to this restaurant. We decided to come at 12:30 because of the lack of reservations (I have read comments that it can be quite crowded there at later hours). A seat with a children's chair was found for us without a problem. The staff was friendly and helpful. The waitress explained to us how the buffet works. The food itself was very fresh and tasty. Everything was replenished on a regular basis. Large selection among meats and sauces in different styles. It seems that everyone will find something to eat there. We paid €15.9 per person and children under 2 ate for free. I recommend to anyone who likes to try food and have a lot of choice among Asian cuisine

This is a very nice restaurant and the food is of excellent quality and value. It was very busy when we came but fortunately we he'd a reservation and after a little wait we were led to our table. You do have a choice of the buffet or ordering from the menu. We went for the buffet. The live cooking part is very interesting but personally I would avoid the beef as it came back a bit tough. The rest was beautiful. Delivery from this option is by a cute robot. Service for drinks suffered a bit as it was so busy. There was also live music which helped the atmosphere but as there was so many people moving all the time it was nearly inaudible. Will definitely come again but maybe after 8pm.

I like that there are three doors before you reach the toilet so that when you do a loud poo no one in the restaurant hears it. The food is quite tasty but the prices are a little high and the service could be more friendly. Not bad if you’re in the area.

Don't go for the Sushi. Low quality ingredients, chunky, huge, not well made and expensive. We regret. And while the service is okay, the atmosphere suffers because the oven's exhaust is far from sufficient. You smell like smoke for hours after leaving.

A decent place to come for lunch. I had chicken curry with a coconut milk chicken soup starter and my friend had a seafood bowl with tofu summer roll starter. For under 9€, it’s a generous amount of food. The quality of the chicken was very good, although the seafood wasn’t so fresh tasting. The server was very nice but somewhat inexperienced - kept pacing back and forth constantly, which made us feel a bit uneasy. Also, when I asked what kinds of whiskey they had, she seemed to not know what I was talking about, literally; basically all the hard liquor was the same for her, which probably means she doesn’t drink much - good for her, of course, but she really should know these things, especially in a place that has a bar :)

A lovely lunch on a Sunday afternoon. The location is central in Kreuzberg and easy to find/reach. The dishes are prepared in a very professional and "tasty" way, means the presentation is great!!! The various dishes tasted all well and had some different character. Unfortunately, the service was weak. The lady serving us was not too happy and did not comment anything, like "please, thanks, etc.". Too bad for such a promising place. Therefore only 3 stars. Besides, the prices are bit too high for Berlin and the neighborhood. After all, it is not a * restaurant. However, if you like Sushi, try it out!!!

Nice running sushi restaurant. The place is not too big, able to host about 20 people on the running sushi table. You can order a la cart or wait to see what the river brings with the boat. Price range fro. 3.5 to 5 euro per plate, if not wrong. During happy hour, they charge 4 euro per any plate you take. Overall, good taste, nice visual and resonable price.

The cafe is small. We were there on Sunday. It might be better to make a reservation in advance, as it might be busy. When we arrived there were seats and we were immediately seated on the bar side. The seats there are the best! From there the cooks start laying out the sushi and you will be the first to see something new) The price depends on the number of plates you take. On Sunday the price is fixed - 4€ per plate. The rolls were tasty and fresh, they are prepared and laid out right away, there are also kim-chi, gyoza, small skewers. You can wait for them to lay them out on boats, but you can also order something specific so as not to wait.

Some of the best sushi I have ever had! We were waiting for the rotating plates to come round, and it took a while initially for the food to appear, but when it did it was worth the wait. Such good quality, the food was so fresh and made with love. The restaurant itself is pretty small, but I do like the atmosphere, and you could sense the excitement in the place when the food started coming out thick and fast, and it certainly seemed that everyone was enjoying it. Recommended, I will certainly be going back myself

The boats are actually pretty cool lol. Pretty good quality sushi, and a variety of options so you can take your friend who isn't a big fan of raw fish. Cool decor. Pretty small space but they make the most of it.

A nice experience in Japanese Sushi , every piece was fresh and delicious, we choose to try the menu for 2 and got the chance to try the miso soup.. I never tried tofu before but i guess it’s a great option for vegan meals as the soup itself was delicious. The mango lassi was super tasty. The staff were super friendly and the service was great.

It’s always such a pleasure coming here with my friends. Mikoto has become our sushi place.👌 The food portions are quite big & delicious. We always make a reservation by calling because we always come here as a group and the restaurant does get quite busy during dinner time.

A True Far Eastern Gem in Kreuzberg – Exceptional Value and Flavour Tucked just steps away from Schlesisches Tor, this unassuming spot turned out to be one of the most rewarding culinary surprises of our Berlin trip. A far oriental gem that delivers both on flavour and authenticity, and at prices that make you do a double take. The four of us enjoyed a wonderfully diverse lunch, sampling several dishes across the menu — each impressively presented and packed with flavour. We began with 14. Chuka or Wakame Salad, which was fresh, perfectly seasoned, and generously portioned — a 10 out of 10 start that set the tone. It was followed by 02. Nameko Soup, a delicate and earthy option in a small portion — ideal if you plan to pace yourself (8/10). 20. Golden Gyozas were hand-made and utterly moreish — crispy on the outside, bursting with flavour inside. A clear 10 out of 10 again. The 23. Vegan Spring Rolls were a touch on the greasy side, likely because they weren’t blotted before serving — a minor miss (6/10), but forgivable in the context of such good cooking overall. The 183. Spicy Tuna Rolls surprised us by being deep-fried — not what we expected, but a pleasant twist nonetheless (8/10). The 233. Tuna Roll brought us back to the pure, fresh flavours we came for — simple, clean, and absolutely spot on (10/10). Rounding out the meal was 81. Tori Teriyaki, which was as close to perfection as you’ll find — succulent, balanced, and beautifully glazed (10/10). All of this was enjoyed alongside refreshing jasmine tea and other beverages — a relaxed and flavour-filled afternoon, without the faintest hint of rush. While we didn’t sample the bar this time, it deserves mention — the setup is sleek, inviting, and looks ideal for an evening cocktail or two, perhaps after a stroll along the Spree. The décor and overall vibe remain true to a minimalist Japanese aesthetic — clean lines, warm woods, and a calm, intimate atmosphere that adds to the charm. I’ve been here countless times when I lived in the area. Nice ambience and garden. Now I live in a different neighbourhood but they still deliver (yay!). All nicely packed with care. Of course the best sushi — the top/notch one— isn’t here but Mikoto has the best price ratio. The sashimi is always fresh. Never tried the Vietnamese cuisine so I can’t speak on that. Perfect for a date :)

The food was good, but not great. Sushi had more vegetables than fish in them. Veggie tempura was indeed very tasty, especially the sauce. Miso soup (no pic) was also tasty. Waiters were very friendly!

Nice sushi place! They offer happy hour at noon on working days, which lowers the prices, already quite affordable, significantly. Staff is very polite and friendly. The only downside is that the place is quite small and might be difficult to get a table sometimes. Totally recommended!

I am realllly sensitive to sushi quality and I tried many. We noticed that sometimes these little places are better than the hyped up restaurants. In this price/quality ratio i would give 5 stars, but overall as sushi 4. I personally like the rice with a bit more rice vinegar but besides it was really good and incredibly cheap. A japanese grocery store with a homely cafe. The fish is fresh , I tried ebi Nigiri and double cream cheese salmon roll. The sushi was simple and fresh. The prices seemed on the higher side for the portions. You need to first order and pay at the counter . The desserts are kind of fairly priced. I am not a fan of matcha but tried matcha tiramisu, the ingredients were top notch.

Lovely Sushi presented itself as a good Asian restaurant with a great variety of food. My Pho was good, not overwhelming (that’s why I didn’t go for 5 stars), but good. My highlight was the Avocado Lassi! If you have the opportunity to pop in just for that, do it! Staff is super nice, welcoming and try to give you the best time possible. I would definitely go there again, when I’m in the area.

Had a really nice dinner there :) We sat outside and the atmosphere was relaxed and cozy. The sushi was really good, you could tell the ingredients were fresh. We also had cocktails, which I can also recommend getting, our order came fast and the guys were very friendly :) all and all a very nice experience, will definitely go back :)

The sushi here is the best I’ve had in Berlin. Fish is actually fresh and the rice is cooked perfectly, and the ratio of the two was ideal. The chefs know what they’re doing - everything was superb!

Super, so tasty, big portions, decent price, gluten free options and staff were very kind and attentive to allergies.

We had dinner at Kuchi on the iconic Kantstraße, and the atmosphere in the restaurant was fantastic. However, the space between the tables was a bit tight, at least where we were seated. The table itself was also quite small, which made managing a larger order a bit challenging—for both the staff and us—when it came to arranging the dishes without knocking anything over. That said, the food was excellent! I particularly enjoyed the comparison between the tuna and the different fat grades—an absolute highlight. The staff were very friendly and attentive, and the music added to the overall great vibe of the place. I can definitely recommend Kuchi! The prices are fair for the quality and experience.

Food was really nice, I had the seared Tuna Steak and it was lovely + surprisingly a decent portion size. Service is great even though we did wait a tad too long for our mains. Price is what it is but all in all a recommendation if you're looking for something semi fancy that has nice seafood.

Best sushi I’ve tried in Berlin so far. Loved each type tried, but our favorite by far was the flambéed salmon and the otoro nigiri 🤤. I highly recommend trying them.

the male waiter (who had glasses on) had the weirdest attitude towards me and my friend, huffing when asked regarding the availability of seats, smirking repeatedly while taking the order, and getting impatient while accepting payment, not giving me a moment to actually look through the cards in the apple wallet, for some reason showing me the tablet instead. you do not look down on your guests, that’s disrespectful, period. and it was my birthday dinner too… such a strange experience, considering all the other waitresses seemed friendly and ready to help. the food was amazing though

reserve a table before you go, it’s always packed, but the food is worth it. a bit more pricey for really nice sushi. vegetarian & vegan options as well. good selection of drinks (longdrinks, beer & wine). we always order some edamame before, the sauce is just epic! ;)

Well first of all don't order sushi. I paid 15 euros for their specials and I've had better ones for a cheaper price. The soup and the meat were really tasty and in general you can expect an acceptable quality but you have to know what to order. And the fusion part wasn't really interesting for example serving the stack with Asian rice isn't actually innovative.

The good: Totally delicious and visually striking fusion food like sushi+guacamole and steak+miso. Very attentive staff. Nice cocktails. Striking paintings and modern decoration. Nice enough bathroom area. Outdoor seating with heat lamps seems available but not in use at the time of writing. Very clean. The bad: Club beats, hard to hold a conversation indoors. Expensive, even for the area and especially for most portion sizes. Tight spaces indoors so staff and other customers understandably bump around a bit. Recommendations: Sit outdoors. Avoid the daily specials. Edamame, summer rolls, and Pho are very nicely done and relatively affordable. The pricey special rolls are particularly well done. Okay for small groups.

Asian fusion restaurant that never fails to disappoint. Located in the heart of Berlin and very popular among locals. We highly recommend their specialty sushi rolls, especially the red snapper and eel. Also, the pho selection and seafood dishes will make you drool—you’ll definitely want to visit again.

I do have to admit, the food is really good. The Sushi's are marvelous (even if it's not in the perfect Japanese tradition), meat and nems too. But about service, waitress sympathy and place to seat. It's absolutely not perfect. I won't talk you about the Toilettes, when it's crowdy, nobody take care of them. And the restaurant is often crowded... I believe you can find the best Sushi's there, but don't go for the services !

I ordered Lunch Set M1. Unfortunately, I can’t say that the quality of the food or the service matches the prices. 🍣 Food: Nigiri with salmon, salmon maki, crab stick maki. Miso soup was complimentary. First of all – the rice falls apart! There were only 5 tables occupied in the restaurant. Is it really that hard to take the time to prepare the rice properly and wrap it in nori until the end? I literally had to pour the sushi onto my plate because it was basically rice mixed with soy sauce. 🍲 Miso soup was fine, but honestly, it’s not that easy to mess up miso. 💁🏻‍♀️ Service: What could be improved? With 5–6 tables and 2 staff members working, there’s enough time to come over at least once and ask, “Is everything okay?” or “Did you enjoy your meal?” Or even suggest additional dishes — that would increase the bill and make the customer feel valued. I didn’t feel any personal attention. 🌸 Atmosphere: Nice. The restaurant stands out thanks to the beautiful cherry blossoms and hand-painted decorations. 🤼‍♀️ The ladies’ restroom was out of order. 🌐 Wi-Fi disconnects after about 30 minutes and needs to be reconnected. 🚩Conclusion: I wouldn’t go back there a second time. Sorry, it doesn't worth it.

Such a beautiful restaurant with beautiful japanese decoration. I ordered tuna and salmon. I don't need to talk about the freshness of the salmon!! it was perfect. Kinda high prices. It isn't worth it if you don't want to eat sushi in little portions. The service was great. The food arrived really fast and I didn't wait in queue. I saw some people criticizing the s-bahn noises, but for me, it made the experience more authentic. I would recommend if you are close by and want to enjoy nice food. 🙂‍↕️

The restaurant is beautiful inside, and awesome prices. The food came extremely quick, and they accepted a special request changing one of the sushi orders. Not many restaurants do that. The only two bad sides is that they don’t accept card and there’s a quite inconvenient sound of the train line that runs above the restaurant.

I took the set at a 50% discount, if it weren’t at a discount, it’s very expensive and not so tasty. The picture on the menu and what they brought are slightly different. Overall good, but only if you come during happy hour. Nobody answered when it starts and ends. 😄

Unbelievable value for lunch sushi, €20 for this and a large beer

I ordered on a Saturday, and they were quite fast to prepare my order. Unfortunately the quality was mediocre, and it didn't excel. The soja given was too salty. I liked the packaging. Nothing special, I won't come back as there are lot of sushi restaurants better than this one.

Discovered this small restaurant during lockdown. Have been here twice within one week. Food is prepared with care and passion, very fresh ingredients, lovely presentation despite takeaway. Highly recommend!

We went here to eat around 20:00 and the restaurant was kinda empty. We were happy about it, cauz the restaurant is small and i think, eating here with big group then we should reserve a table. Anw we chose the Menu6 and Sanji (without drink), it's around 22€. The sushi and fishes were really fresh and tasted sooooo good. I could only recommend to come here and eat. Servant was helpful with our questions. The food came out fast. We were really enjoying it!

The interior is cozy, although it has only three tables, there are seldom people waiting to get a seat. The food was delicious and plentiful. We had the chicken yakitori, the sake don donburi and the sake deluxe roll. You can pay by card but there is no restroom.

I can just re-confirm the earlier reviews of "great food at a good price-value". Every time food felt both slightly more delicious (even if that was just the sauce adding extra flavor) and better served than in most of the restaurants and we ended up paying way less that we would had expected elsewhere.

I ordered online. Was on time and friendly. But the taste as bad. I should have been suspicious already when I read 'smoked salmon'. Smoked salmon is used to lower costs as it has a longer shelf life. So, spend a bit more and get better quality and taste.

I used to love their sushi but I got food poisoning after ordering sushi from here the other day. The sushi already looked quite dry and tasted bland but I ate it anway. 3 hours later I had the most horrible stomach cramps of my life+ other symptoms of food poisoning. Besides their sushi I hadn't eaten anything else that day.
