Estelle Dining is a family-owned restaurant located off Schonhauser Alle, offering a modern dining experience. The establishment is known for its superb pizza with a unique NYC-Neapolitan style and crispy fresh salads. Guests can also enjoy an excellent selection of natural wines to complement their meals. The atmosphere is described as warm and welcoming, with friendly servers providing incredible service.
I've spent a few summers in Berlin largely looking for the best restaurants, especially those that serve pizza--until now I have not been so moved as to write a review. Food: I had their most basic pie, mostly for comparison's sake but their more signature options and the new collaborative monday menu were both so enticing I can see myself trying every one, and their menu is by no means limited to pizza, in fact it feels misrepresentative to call it a pizza spot. Nonetheless, their sourdough crust is superb, (coming from New York this is especially important to me), their toppings were more flavorful and fresh than the half a dozen other pizzas I had here this month (most of which were about 5 euro more expensive), and the dessert was the best sweet treat I have had in at least a year. Straciatella, topped over with warm chocolate mousse with a sprinkling of roasted hazelnuts (assembled before my eyes)--it tastes even better than it sounds. The wine selection was expansive, the cocktails blanced well between reliable and inventive, and the schnapps were also very well-rounded. Service: At this point it is a bit of a trope for Americans to complain about European restaurant service. Believe me, I am no stranger to the modicum of truth behind this phenomenon. Having just recently had some ludicrous wait-time experiences, I was so impressed by my server and the rest of the staff this evening. I was very promptly accomodated, despite the fact that I had not made a reservation. The only available seating was outside, which is normally a hot commodity in July in Berlin, but it happened to be raining somewhat seriously today so I had little competition (though the awning did its job well)--still they promptly offered me a warm tea, and brought out warm blankets for me in case it got cold. These may seem small, but they are examples/elements of outstanding service that I haven't experienced at any of the more expensive, fine-dining restaurants elsewhere in Berlin that I have patronized, let alone anything at this price-point, which is shockingly low considering the quality. Perhaps my familiarity with NYC prices is part of this, but such outstanding dinner and dessert for under 30 euro is a marvelous discovery. I will be returning here as often as I can manage. I started recommending Estelle to my local friends (and even some back home) halfway through my main course, I expect I will continue to sing its praises even as the memory of dessert fades months from now. Lastly, I do not review many restaurants, and this may seem a sign of inexpertise. I would understand that skepticism, but on the other hand I ate dinner out almost every night for the last month, and (again) nowhere in Berlin sparked such passion, no other dining experience moved me enough to take the time to write a review.

We reserved a table to celebrate our son's first month, choosing a menu for two that cost around 100 euros. The experience lasted 3 hours and 15 minutes, with about 45 minutes of waiting time between courses. The portions were small, and if I hadn't inquired with the waiter, it seems the wait time would have been even longer. Unfortunately, the quality of the food did not meet our expectations, as the dishes lacked flavor and uniqueness. While we appreciated receiving a complimentary beer after raising our concerns about the long wait, it didn't compensate for our overall dissatisfaction with the service and the value of the food. the experience did not live up to what we expected for a special celebration. I wouldn't recommend this place if you're looking for good quality and prompt service.

I was there on a weekend for brunch and it was very well visited. It is definitely more relaxed if you have made a reservation beforehand. The food and service was great!! Even when we were full we had to try the lemon poppy cake and it was worth it - The dessert was really delicious. I can definitely recommend it for brunch and will definitely come back:)

Great atmosphere, setting, presentation but the taste for me just wasn't there. We tried different snacks and starters, two mains and a pizza. There are several vegetarian options but I was really disappointed. The mushrooms were pretty blend and for that price, I was expecting something much more tasty and elaborated. Pizza was great though. Quite a lot of choice in wine but prices are a bit exaggerated (starts at roughly 40e/bottle). Otherwise, service was nice, friendly and fast.

Very good and unique food experience. Would recommend going for the “shared experience”, as it gives you a great value-for-money experience through the entire menu.

We had such a lovely dinner with my spouse. The food was excellent and the staff was very friendly. The pork shoulder with polenta, in particular, was incredibly flavorful and comforting. The portions are generous too. Highly recommended!

Cookies Cream is a renowned vegetarian fine-dining restaurant located in an alleyway that was once home to a club called Cookies. The establishment, now known as Crackers, is owned by nightlife mogul Heinz Cookie Gindullis. Despite its unassuming entrance, the restaurant boasts an industrial-chic vibe and friendly service. Chef Stephan Hentschel offers innovative plant-based dishes such as Parmesan dumplings in white truffle broth and surprising desserts like celery ice cream with apple and walnuts.
This hidden gem in the backyard offers a delightful dining experience. The service, atmosphere, and food selection, as well as the quality, are excellent. The welcoming vibe feels like sharing a meal with friends—no unnecessary frills or strict rules. It's truly a memorable event for dinner. Plus, an early-hour booking with a discount adds extra value to the experience.

I had an incredible experience with the 7-course tasting menu. Everything was prepared with great care, the food pairing was impeccable and the service and table service was very pleasant. If you want to have a memorable experience, go to Cookies Cream. It will definitely be a restaurant I will return to when I visit Berlin.
Larissa U — Google review
We had so much fun! I highly recommend the wine pairing. I am sober and was thrilled to see that they had a full non-alcoholic wine pairing (which included many homemade NA wines). It was an absolutely beautiful and delicious dinner. The service was top notch and the atmosphere reminded me of a NY speakeasy as we arrived at the bar. The upstairs dining area was much more vibrant and festive. Everyone seemed to be smiling and enjoying themselves. All of my dinner companions were not vegan/veg but raved about the whole dining experience. Being a vegan and sharing such a lovely experience with them felt amazing. 10/10 will go again!

Vegetarian tasting menu and non alcoholic drinks flight for me this time. The food was sensational and the pairings were perfection. The service was excellent and the place had a great vibe. Fantastic team. Get a taxi there as the door is not obvious!

*5/5 Stars* Cookies Cream exceeded all expectations! The 7-course vegetarian menu was a culinary masterpiece, with innovative dishes that delighted every sense. The wine pairing was exquisite, perfectly complementing each course. Michel, our waiter, was phenomenal - knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive. His passion for the food and wine shone through, making the experience even more special. Returning to Cookies Cream was a thrill, and it lived up to its previous wonderful experiences. Can't wait to come back and indulge again!

As a non-vegan/vegetarian I was pleasantly surprised of how every dish tasted so good from the texture to the flavor! The dishes were all visually pleasing as well.

Highly recommend. It was lovely. A little tricky to find - but follow the alley next to the Westin Hotel. We could only get a reservation at short notice for 4 courses so didn’t get to taste the 7 courses but it was greys nonetheless. Lots of great plant based tastes. Felt wines weren’t that good but still quite decent so perhaps opt for the sommerlier’s wine pairing. Great service with a smile and would like to come back for 7 courses!
A S — Google review
We took the five-course menu with wine pairing. To start, we got the onsen egg to share with a cocktail each. The cocktails were nothing special, and even though they might be innovative the tastes just didn’t match the quality of the rest of the meal to be honest. On the other hand, I really recommend the egg (sharing worked out great!), a symphony of textures and just a perfectly balanced palette with simple ingredients. That turned out to be the case for most of the remainder of the menu as well. Nice balance between temperatures, textures, heat, tartness, umami and new innovative flavor combinations. The bread was GREAT. Wine pairing was good, but as the menu was light so was the wines - not my personal taste and there could be more variation here (note, different types of wines but all light). The main component of strawberry dessert was bland. Coffee was incredible!! The wait for the second dish (first of the menu) was quite long. The waiter kept us informed which was good, but still too long. We took a shot together with the waiter on the house with the bill! Nice! (Not everyone got this so we felt special!). Our meal was about €445 total (+tip). We had an amazing night, but there are some minor details I think would be an easy fix for a substantially better experience: - I took sparkling, and my partner still water. I got this small metal slab under my glass so that the waiter could tell who wanted sparkling. However, it stuck to my glass multiple times which once made me spill water. Just not a nice experience. - There should be a small bread plate. The bread is so good that you want to eat it in between meals - or just not place it on the plate etc. There are crumbs on the table and once again - just not a nice experience. - The water was €7.5/person... I really think they should include this (rise prices if necessary!) as it is just not a nice gesture. - The wine is just too cold. There can be no debating of this fact! - Would like some more info about the wine pairing - Would like more info about sourcing and preparation of ingredients

Rogacki is a 90-year-old deli located in Charlottenburg, Berlin. It offers a wide selection of local and imported seafood, meats, and cheeses. The bustling indoor market is known for its fresh and smoked fish, particularly herring. The store has a nostalgic feel with beaming attendants in green uniforms behind rows of sparkling vitrines filled with prepared produce.
It's been a Berlin institution since 1928, and one of the only places I'll buy fish from in the city. Go stand at a table and eat some fried fish and potato salad while looking at all the old photos on the wall.

Fresh, high-quality fish. The atmosphere of a place founded in 1928 has its own charm.

Great spot to eat fresh seafood and traditional meals prepared by a friendly staff! Me and my wife ate some delicious oysters, fish and soup while being kindly served by Alex by the balcony. Highly recommended.

Old school fish market. Charm and vives. Lots of smoked fish and herrings. Pick a bit of everything and get a ta le outside. Even bread from bakery and drinks from another stand. It’s like doing a picnic with lots of small containers to pic from. Need to go there at least once if you’re in Berlin.
Alfredo M — Google review
Great fish place for fish lovers. This is one of the must be listed in Berlin, the meals were very fresh and tasty, the options are infinity, the place is very clean. Really recommend
Shlomi M — Google review
A Berliner Institute in all good ways. This 90 years old place keeps the charm and grace day after day. The best smoked fish you can find in town and the eel is a speciality
Itay N — Google review
Great selection of fresh fish and meat! I bought some tuna steak there and it was really tasty. There is also a cheese stand and a small bakery. You can also have lunch there. Real food treasure in Charlottenburg;)
Jadwiga U — Google review
I want to give two kinds of ratings: the delicatessen is top quality, if you're shopping for good meats and seafood this place has fresh produce well prepared in different ways. If you're trying the cooked food however, I'd skip the 'recommended' fried fish fillet and try the other types of cuisines. The fried fish wasn't as 'fresh' tasting or flaky like I like it. It was tough and tasted rubbery. The smoked or baked seafood looked amazing though and I'd want to try those next time.

Daluma is a popular spot at Rosenthaler Platz, drawing in Clean-Eating enthusiasts, foodies, and social media influencers from around the globe. It has become synonymous with modern urban cuisine. Despite the ongoing hype, the food is genuinely excellent: fresh, creative, light yet satisfying, with many vegan and gluten-free options. For breakfast, they offer porridge, chia pudding or acai bowls; for lunch and dinner there are crisp salads and a daily special.
Really interesting concept for Berlin, but it makes total sense with the rise of the wellness industry. It blends food, skincare, and drinks in one space. All the drinks are vegan (I believe), and they’re absolutely delicious—I loved it. The dragon fruit smoothie was incredible and highly recommended. It’s definitely on the expensive side, but so worth it. It looked beautiful, tasted amazing, and felt nourishing. I’d go back for sure. You can also sit outside, which I really enjoyed. They offer the option to add protein to the smoothies, but mine was already pretty filling so I skipped it.

Healthy vibes of this place are all over. Nice background music and atmosphere will make your meal more pleasant. Simple and charming. Decent cappuccino and avocado toast, as well.
Momir D — Google review
I went to Daluma yesterday and had a fantastic experience. The food is incredibly fresh and healthy, and their juices feel like a real power-up. We were helped by a Brazilian staff member, Anderson, who was super friendly and helpful. Excellent hospitality. May God bless his heart! I highly recommend checking this place out if you’re hungry but also want to eat healthy, something that truly makes you feel like you’re taking care of your body and adding to your lifespan.

One of my favorite spots in Berlin, super cool, healthy vibes, and amazing service! The barista, Andy, always takes care of us with a big smile and makes sure we have everything we need. The food is delicious and beautifully presented, and the coffee is just perfect. Definitely a place that feels good to come back to.
Anouar M — Google review
Hip and dynamic place with a healthy menu offering the usual brunch and lunch items with a twist plus a big selection of unique items health and fitness geeks would appreciate. The place was full of young people, some in groups of friends enjoying brunch, some sipping healthy smoothies and working on their laptops. We had the oat cappuccino (cow milk was not available) and two green bowls with add-ons of poached eggs, salmon and chicken. The food was good but can’t say it ranks amongst the best salad bowls I had. Can recommend for the fun atmosphere, if you are craving something unusual for lunch/brunch and if you are interested in stocking up on health supplements as the cafe also has a shop.
Maija — Google review
The food is mostly good, but the place is an ultimate narcissists’ trap. One can only feel ashamed, sitting in a place under a screen, where all kinds of beauty and food products on self improvement are advertised. Dystopic dinner in an Orwellian setting.
T. H — Google review
The concept of promoting healthy eating is commendable, and Daluma positions itself as a leader in that space. However, the execution unfortunately fell short of expectations. The main dish I received was served in a metal bowl that felt more clinical than curated, with a presentation that lacked warmth. The portion size was surprisingly small, especially considering the price point of €20–30 per person. While the ingredients appeared fresh, the meal overall felt underwhelming and not satisfying. I also ordered a Sperulina drink, which was — quite frankly — unpleasant in taste. While I appreciate the intention behind nutrient-rich beverages, this one missed the mark entirely for me. In short, while I support the idea of clean, healthy dining, I believe Daluma needs to re-evaluate its balance between concept, pricing, taste, and overall customer experience.
Khaled A — Google review
Great food and products but today it all went downhill.. I ordered a 49 EUR vitamin pack and instead got 2 juices worth 8 EUR each. No notice, no answer on the phone. The wildest experience..

Kanaan is a laid-back restaurant known for its meat-free Israeli and Palestinian sharing platters, featuring homemade pita and what many consider the best hummus in town. Founded by an Israeli and a Palestinian, the restaurant offers a variety of small plates for lunch and generous portions of mezze and mains for dinner.
Very delicious. The concept is one price for the chef menu with unlimited refill as soon as you can finish your food. For the price paid very well done. Drinks are nice as well. I recommend to come here in group. But for two people it’s also nice.
ST — Google review
I come here every time I am in Berlin. The food is just outstanding! A wide range of vegetarian and vegan dishes with exceptional flavours. My favourite is the brunch on the weekend and the wide selection of starters. The staff is super friendly and the vibe in general is very relaxed. I also had the set evening menu before which is also outstanding. I will definitely come back again.
Kristina V — Google review
I loved the food here! It's a wonderful blend of Israeli and Palestinian dishes, all vegetarian (but vegan is possible). The food is served as a fixed menu which came as a relaxing difference to other places I visited. And don't worry about not having enough - we were asked multiple times if we needed more of anything. Additionally, I want to point out their cocktails. They lean on the sweeter side, but can be boozy. I want to point out their Arak mixes as my favorites. It's a smaller place, but bigger groups can be supported. I strongly suggest to reserve in advance. However, same day reservations are possible if your group is small enough (and especially for two). I can't say if this place is good enough for one person, tho. Online they say that coming along could be a problem, but the menus in the restaurant mentioned that you can order for a single person (it just costs more).
Josip M — Google review
This was so delicious! They have a fixed menu, where you get a lot of cold starters in small plates with bread, where you can get refill on what you like. That is followed by two bigger main dishes, and then a dessert. All for 33€ per person. We decided to get some of their cocktails as well, which was known cocktails with a twist - really good! All the dishes were vegetarian and packed so much taste. The staff where really nice and observant. Definitely a great experience and cannot recommend it enough!

We had an amazing Brunch experience at Kanaan. Although we already reached the end of the "brunch time" the super friendly waiter generously offered us to still order the brunch menu - which was just the right choice for us foodies. Loads of delicious dishes were served, although we all were hungry we were unable to finish everything. The biggest recommendation!
Ann E — Google review
Reserve the table before you show up, it’s often fully booked. This place is awesome. The fresh hummus, eggplants babaganough were amazing. Everything had a unique taste, amazing flavours, very friendly service. They explained as usual in most of the menu/ speciality restaurants. It’s worth to visit and enjoy some yummy Israeli - Palestine cuisine.
Raghu K — Google review
I came for the concept and stayed for the food. The idea of a Palestinian-Israeli restaurant got my curiosity from the start. The moment that the food arrived at our table brought up the delicious aroma of all the spices and fresh baked bread. The Potatos with Zatar are great. The Stuffed Onions and the Falafels are amazing. But my favorite of all was the Labneh with Roasted Beetroot. Best beetroot I’ve had in my life! The atmosphere is welcoming and the owner (one of the two) was very kind and attentive to the clients. Unfortunately the Brunch Menu is only available during weekends but they do have a shared menu for dinner everyday. I’d definitely come back and recommend this place to anyone visiting or living in Berlin!
Camila B — Google review
Nestled at the crossroads of cultures and convictions, Kanaan is more than just a restaurant—it’s a bold, beating heart of hope. Founded on the unlikely and beautiful collaboration between Israeli and Palestinian partners, this eatery takes a courageous stand: to nourish not just the body, but the soul, with every dish and every gesture infused with a commitment to coexistence, dialogue, and peace. Our visit this time was for brunch, and what a feast it was. this meal was abundant, comforting, and celebratory. Each plate arrived like a small poem written in za’atar, tahini, and warm, fresh-baked bread. Whether it was the shakshuka, the creamy hummus, the labneh kissed with olive oil, or the fragrant sabich—everything was perfectly prepared and full of bold, authentic flavor. The portion sizes were more than generous, making it an excellent choice for sharing. But what truly sets Kanaan apart is its mission. In a time of deep division and conflict, this restaurant dares to defy hatred with hospitality. It offers not just a seat at the table, but a shared space for mutual respect. Dining here feels like taking part in something bigger—a quiet, powerful resistance to cynicism and fear. Kanaan is a testament to what is possible when courage meets creativity. It's rare to find a place where the food is so deeply satisfying and the experience so emotionally resonant. Come hungry—not just for food, but for connection. You’ll leave full in every way that matters.

Azzam Restaurant is a down-to-earth spot that offers a Lebanese brunch experience, featuring a diverse menu of flatbreads, kebabs, and shawarma. Located in Sonnenallee, it's renowned for its creamy hummus and falafel. The restaurant provides an authentic Middle Eastern dining experience with reasonably priced colorful plates of seasoned chickpeas, houmous, tabouli, deep-fried pita chips, and more.
One of the best dinner meals I had so far. Generous portions on the plates meals. The employees were very friendly, one of them spoke English and helped me make my order. Very affordable place and great quality of food. Cash only. Highly recommended.

This Arab restaurant is a true hidden gem, offering both takeout and sit-down options — and even when it’s busy (which it often is), you’ll almost always find a seat since people eat and go. The food? Incredibly fresh and deeply authentic, like a warm trip back home with every bite. From Palestinian classics to Syrian flavors to Lebanese staples, every dish is made with care and tradition. The spices, the textures, the aromas — it all comes together in perfect harmony, capturing the true taste of the Middle East. A must-visit for anyone craving real, soulful Arab food.
Claudia D — Google review
The food is satisfying and the portions are generous, so you definitely won’t leave hungry. Prices are fair and in line with similar places. However, the overall experience could be better: the dishes are decent but not outstanding, service is hit-or-miss, and the dining hall feels neglected – harsh fluorescent lighting and not the cleanest environment. In summer it becomes especially uncomfortable, with no air conditioning and extra heat radiating from the grill. Worth a visit if you’re nearby and hungry, but not the most pleasant place to linger.

We really loved Fetah and Shish Tawuk with its accompaniments. Everything was really tasty in our view. Also the portion sizes are really big. However, It was also a bit difficult to get a seat as we need to place the order at the counter and find a seat by ourselves and then go back and take the items from the counter again when it's ready.

Counter service with very large portions. The food is quite good and authentic, however, the concept and location limit the experience to that of a (good) fast food restaurant.

Just the place to go, and better with friends or family to share. They increased the prices but slightly, is still very fair for the quality and mostly quantity. Their babaganoush is a must to try, trust me!!

Stadtsalat offers nourishing and hearty bowls filled with grains, salad, vegetables, and protein that are packed with excellent flavor and seasoning. While the prices may not be the most budget-friendly (ranging from 12 to 15), the dining experience is certainly enjoyable. The menu features an extensive selection of healthy options, but it's important to note that they do not accept cash for payment.
This is a fantastic salad place! Incredibly delicious and ordering from the screen is a breeze. You can either choose from the menu or create your own custom salad. The variety of options and the freshness of the ingredients are impressive. The only suggestion I would make is to change the plastic lids and the small salad dressing bowls to more eco-friendly alternatives, as this would align perfectly with their concept.

They have really nice and delicious bowls, menu card was quite various and still you can create your individual bowls. the concept is fine. you order per screen and pick it up.

Ingredients were fresh and there were many options in the menu, you can also craft your own bowl. For a meal, more than filling and salad combinations just work perfectly, nutritious and tasteful. There are various seating areas as well, the backyard garden/patio was refreshing.

I received a delivery from Stadtsalat (two salad bowls) today. The salads were €35+ together bit we received bowls that were about 50% full. An absolute shame. I ordered from Stadtsalat more than 10 times - and it‘s a bit on the expensive side for a salad, but the quality was usually good. This time, it‘s expensive but for half of the salad size. Please fix this poor service - I‘ll not order from Stadtsalat again. Too bad.

The service is fast and the place is clean and modern. The food is super fresh and delicious. I am giving 4 stars only because I find the portion (especially the protein) too small for the price.

Chinese restaurant
Da Jia Le is a popular restaurant in Berlin known for its Northeastern Dongbei Chinese cuisine and local craft beer. It's the only place in the city where you can enjoy traditional jiaozi paired with German beer. The dining room offers a casual atmosphere, and patrons can expect attentive service and expertly cooked Dongbei dishes. The menu features steamed fish, fried pork, and an array of flavorful vegetable dishes.
We sat outside and it was very hot and sunny which was great but also a bit annoying since the sun was shining in our faces. We were very happy when the restaurant opened their shades when they saw us struggling. Also the food was very tasty.

After some Google Maps -mining found, that they served Sichuan boiled beef (Shuizhu Niurou). Was not dissapointed. Food was delicious, service was great. If I lived in Berlin, I would eat here once a week. It was that good.

Authentic Chinese food. We (my wife and I) went there on Saturday evening (at around 8 pm on 15th March) without any reservation and got a table. Good stuff and flavourful food. Must try - Sichuan-style pork stew in chili sauce.

The most amazing Chinese restaurant you can find in Berlin. A culinary experience I was missing since I was last time un Shanghai. The pork cubes seasoned in soy sauce are a thing of beauty you must not miss. Prices are totally reasonable and service is fast. Location is simple. Will definitely come back to try other dishes from the extensive menu. Great selection of beers too.

One of the best places to eat authentic Chinese food in Berlin! For a starter the cucumber and potato salad are soooo good!! I love the eggplant dishes and the braised pork, it is always is nice and tender. The Sichuan stew with fish is also very good but really spicy so be careful. This time I had a sauerkraut stew with fish and it was nice and mild. The fish is always very tender and doesn’t taste fishy at all !

Wonderful and entirely authentic! What's crazy is that the pictures in the menu don't do the food justice. The smoked tofu with corriander was an absolute stunner - with savory and sweet crystals that really delighted the palate. Food service was fast and friendly and the interior decor felt homey and unassuming. There are tables that fit both small (<= 4) or large (>10) parties.

Izmir Köftecisi (Konak-Grill) is a laid-back eatery in Kreuzberg, Berlin, renowned for its ample sandwiches and traditional kebab platters. Established in 1993, the restaurant is dedicated to serving fresh and high-quality köfte. Customers highly recommend the Kofte Teller and Spicy Sauce with Parsley Rucola Salad. The generous portions make it great value for money, with an XXL plate easily satisfying multiple diners.
While walking around Berlin and sampling local cuisine, we stumbled upon a small restaurant. We ordered the XXL plate, and the portion was so generous it could easily feed two adults and a child. Having tried köfte in Istanbul, I can confidently say this one tasted even better. It was incredibly delicious, and we decided to take some with us for our drive out of Berlin. The customer service was excellent as well. I highly recommend this place—you get great value for your money.
S B — Google review
In my opinion, this is just an average Turkish köfte place with nothing particularly special about it. The köftes were quite ordinary, to be honest. I could name at least three other restaurants within 300–500 meters that serve much better köfte. Also, the staff’s attitude towards customers was definitely not good. I think they should be more polite. Even though we specifically asked them not to add extra salt to the bread, they still did, and when we mentioned it, they responded in a rude manner. I believe restaurant staff should be polite and understanding. Otherwise, why would anyone want to come back? I wouldn’t say their köfte was terrible, but it definitely wasn’t impressive either. There are much better places in Berlin, even just within Kreuzberg, there are several far better options.
Recep B — Google review
There sandwiches here are amazing and fresh. It seems like they make their own bread in house. All the vegetables are fresh and pre sliced. The area it is located doesn't seem the safest at night. But definitely recommend for the food.

Great sandwiches, ask for additional spicy sauce if you like spicy food. Main downside: i wish they could give the option to offer the sandwich in a thinner bread Tasty Ayran Very friendly staff, thank you

The XXL Köfte Sandwich is quite filling and tastes great. The atmosphere is clean. The staff is polite but a bit rushed. The atmosphere is a bit intimate, but it's okay.
Hazem K — Google review
It is an okay sandwich. Nothing impressive, it was very dry and does not have that much content inside for the price they are selling it. Not bad but wouldn’t recommend coming back.
Lia M — Google review
Great place to grab a quick bite. We tried the kofte xxl sandwich which was good. The meat was great, and juciy with nice flavour. The sauce wasn't particularly great, I think it was garlic with dill which was too strong (didn't try the spicy sauce). The highlight was the meat really, the rest was ok.
Sam A — Google review
The kofte im brot is one of the best things I've eaten in Berlin, better than the gemuse kebabs. The bread is hot, the kofte are fresh and the spicy hit makes this sandwich an excellent all in one meal. The service isn't the friendliest. They take card payments.

Coccodrillo is a spacious Italian restaurant located in Weinbergspark, offering a predominantly vegetarian menu in a lively and colorful setting with a terrace. The eclectic design combines elements of the seventies, diners, and Hollywood, featuring white tablecloths and hand-painted Italian dinnerware. The menu includes delectable options such as Burrata antipasti, homemade pasta, Neapolitan pizza, and Tiramisu.
YUM!!!! Stopped in for lunch and am so glad we did. I heard a lot about this restaurant so my expectations were high but they were met!! First off the cocktails were amazing. We both had 2- definitely recommend the berlin sprtiz. Got the arancini and it was sooooooo good. Very crispy! I got the crazy san marzano and it exceeded expectations. For just a “standard” tomato sauce it was outstanding. So garlicky and good. I wish we had room for dessert Im sure its incredible.

I came with a relative who works here and recommended this restaurant to me, and a she was absolutely right. The food is exquisite, and you can really taste the quality of the ingredients they use. The atmosphere and décor are among the best I’ve ever seen — they make you forget what time of year it is. As for the service from both the staff and the manager, it couldn’t be better. I’m very satisfied with both the food and the service. By the way, try the pistachio tiramisu, it's incredible!!!

What a gem! The food was absolutely delicious, and the atmosphere, decor, and service were all great. We had the beef carpaccio with focaccia to start, followed by truffle pasta, the Cheese League pizza, and pistachio tiramisu. Everything was outstanding, and the pizza was one of the best I’ve had. The cocktails were decent, not amazing but still enjoyable. Overall, a wonderful experience. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and will be back for sure.

A very popular Italian spot in Berlin from the Big Mamma Group (also behind Pink Mamma in Paris). The décor is highly overdesigned — colorful, bold, and fun. Both the indoor and outdoor seating are great, and since it’s located inside a park, the setting feels lively. If you sit inside, I’d recommend asking for a booth. Reservations online are essential; the place is always crowded. For food, we shared several dishes: • Crispy Focaccia: More like a thin pita bread — crispy, but honestly not worth ordering again. • Burrata Pomodoro: Came with two large balls of burrata on top of an incredible tomato sauce. Easily one of the highlights. • Beef Carpaccio: A massive portion served on a huge plate — much bigger than we expected. • Truffle Pasta: The famous signature dish of the group. We had tried it before at Pink Mamma in Paris, and it was just as good here — creamy, rich, and full of flavor. All three of us ordered it as our main. • Tiramisu: A wonderful dessert to end the meal — creamy, generous, and very satisfying. To drink, we shared a bottle of organic Valpolicella Ripasso red wine, which paired perfectly with the dishes. The bill came to €175 for three people, which felt reasonable for the amount and quality. Overall, a stylish, fun, and delicious dining experience. Highly recommended if you’re in Berlin and want indulgent Italian food in a unique setting.

Top marks for food, drinks, vibe, and service. Dinner reservations seemed hard to come by, but we had no problem walking in for lunch on a weekday and being seated immediately. Everything we ate was amazing: arancini and bolognese, I wish we saved room for dessert. The Berlini Spritz was excellent and so easy to drink. The vibe is so cool and retro, it’s just a really nice place to be and was one of the highlights of our trip to Berlin.

Aleppo Supper Club is a cozy diner that offers traditional Syrian dishes like hummus and kibbeh in a warm, homey atmosphere. The owner's mother fled Syria with her meat grinder, an essential tool for making kibbe, which became the cornerstone of the owner's successful catering business. Ordered the makluba vegan version for takeaway at the office. Tasted yummy but would have preferred the dish better with some yogurt as just the rice itself can feel a bit dry after sometime, perhaps another time. Will definitely visit again though!

The mezze here is incredible. there's the makdous—baby eggplants cured in olive oil, garlic, and salt-- stuffed with walnut and pepper paste, then packed until plump and tangy-- which are soft, sour, and rich in the best way. But the star is pomegranate salad-- think finely chopped red cabbage with juicy pomegranate seeds for crunch and sharp-sweet pops of flavor, combined w/ creamy tomatoes .the effect is amazing- a layered tart, syrupy, sweet, bright, all in one.

The founders left a prestigious restaurant to pursue the art of deep-frying and have gained citywide recognition for their offerings. The menu includes an excellent vegan and vegetarian Smashburger that has garnered much hype for its crispy texture and flavorful toppings.
Ordered to take away, the meat flavour was super intense, amazingly crusted, and the truffle mayo gave it an amazing touch, super super recommended for a quick burger, we had it right next to the airbnb and so glad for it, super tasteful. The service was good but nothing superb, i don’t know if it was a matter of not speaking german or what but not super super friendly.

No hate here, just not my vibe at all. Came with a friend of mine and they loved the burger. I’m not a fan of American-style burgers, and the cheese really didn’t sit well with me. Choco milk in a can was fun though. Easy and quick self-service at around 18:00 on a Saturday evening, but the interior is sterile and lacks any sort of personality.
Georga K — Google review
The double cheeseburger I had was quite dry because there was way too less sauce. The double super smashed brother was better. However, the patty was not juicy at all, which made me wonder because some reviews said it's supposed to be juicy. 🤔 I couldn't eat the edge of the patty because it was too dry. So...The burgers we got were not "bad", but they were not amazing either. Considering the quality of the burgers, it was too expensive. The fries, however, were really tasty and crispy :)
Tzuan L — Google review
Honestly one of my favourite burgers in Berlin. I'm no authority on burgers by any means, but it's very tasty and the fries are crunchy and delicious. However, the vibe in the location is horrendous and as such, I prefer having it delivered. On a side note, it would be great if they accepted cash.

Today, my friend and I had a very bad experience at this place. My friend ordered a gluten-free drink, but when we went to pick up the order, we were told they didn’t have it at all. My friend had already left a tip beforehand, and when we politely explained the situation, the staff didn’t even bother to apologize. What was even worse – one of the employees verbally insulted my friend, which was absolutely shocking and unacceptable. On top of that, there was clearly racist behavior involved, which made the whole situation even more disturbing. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. We were extremely disappointed, and I’d advise you to be cautious so that you don’t go through the same experience.

Curry 61 is a popular spot in Berlin, offering locally sourced sausages smothered in curry sauce and served with fries. The compact, industrial-style venue attracts both locals and tourists, who gather outside the order window for a quick lunch or snack. The curry ketchup is highly praised, and the sausage and fries are cooked to perfection.
Famous and crowded sausage place to enjoy the local tastes! You can choose the currywurst to be softer or more crispy upon ordering. The sauce was too salty in my opinion. Waiting in a queue may be needed. There are some tables for you to eat while standing and chatting! Recommend having a taste of Berlin here!
Frank Y — Google review
First time having currywurst. Opted for the crunchy sausage which wasn’t as crunchy as expected but still tasted good. The curry sauce adds a good level of acidity and they ask if you want it spicy (chilli powder). The line was long and didn’t move as fast as expected. Service was decent, but there are limited tables inside and out.

Due to the fame I went to try their curry. I order the combo of currywurst (the soft one, as you are asked to pick between soft and crispy) with fries. The sausage was okay, and the sauce with curry good. The fries were mediocre, and the seasoning couldn’t save them. It’s a cheap option, but I didn’t enjoy it.

The staff are too stressed. *Updated: you must stand precisely at the doorway, exactly where instructed—where twenty others are already waiting. You must not move. Stand there, in their way, huddled together, congregated. You must be with them… with the people. Part of the herd. Waiting to order. Waiting for the sustenance of bagels, bagels, coffee—together as one. Embracing the wait. Just stand there. Unmoving. Unshakable. You cannot step eight feet away. You cannot wait quietly outside the entrance—out of the way, yet still visible—sitting politely while your order takes seven minutes. No. Do not sit down. You must remain standing, firmly, occupying the space. Do not make room. Do not suggest that others could receive their orders more efficiently. Hope that clarifies :) Decent coffee.

If you are looking for fast service and love schnitzel, this is a great place to go. You can order through your phone or the screen and you will have your order in the next few minutes. The seating is first come first serve, the space is small, but there are a lot of tables to share space. We ordered veal and pork schnitzel. The veal one was juicier. But we both enjoyed the food.

First night in Berlin and had to get traditional schnitzel..this place was close to my hotel so decided to try. The lady helped me with the order kiosk even though it is in English and French as well as German. I got the pork schnitzel with salad and potato salad with oil and vinegar which was too oily for me but the egg on top of the pork schnitzel was amazing,.light and crispy and two free sauces were great.. I had the chipotle one and th garlic aioli one..both were good. Cool vibes and great upbeat music Food was on paper plates

We came here to try their schnitzel, and ordered a plate and a burger. We got the Wiener schnitzel (veal escalope with clarified butter and cranberries, with potato salad with mayonnaise as side) and the classic burger (pork escalope with homemade remoulade, pickled cucumber and salad). They have sauce dispensers, and we liked the curry one the most. The veal schnitzel was really good, while the pork schnitzel was just okay. The cranberry sauce was tasty, and so was the potato salad. If we were back, we would only order veal, or try turkey.

Very tasty food and big portions. You can take any souses, which you want. Pink salad was on the top! Like it. Also when I couldn't finish the whole portion I got a package to take the leftovers home. Thank you!

Horváth is an elegant Austrian restaurant located along Kreuzberg's Landwehr Canal in Berlin. It first opened in 2005 and gained its first Michelin star in 2010 when Austrian chef Sebastian Frank joined. In 2015, it was awarded a second Michelin star and a green Michelin star for sustainability.
Truly exceptional experience. The food is gorgeous (which is, at the end of the day, the most important thing). Service is a superb - a mix of quality time with chef/owner Sebastian Frank giving insight into his philosophy and the stories behind the dishes, and an amazingly well informed service brigade (clearly not "just on a script" but with a genuine understanding of how the dishes are prepared). Wine parings are fantastic - and the non-alcoholic pairings look even better (that's what I'm having next time!). Very highly recommended.

If you crave the interesting edge post-war Berlin has to offer, this restaurant is a sure representation of its best. The interior design and staff are all put together masterfully and the experience is like none other; it has an exceptionally beautiful setting with vintage decor and open kitchen. The food is like a breath of fresh air. I have never experienced truly curated vegetarian-inspired cuisine let alone one with 2 Michelin stars but each dish has a captivating story and you really get to appreciate the fresh produce which normally plays supporting roles in meat dishes. Worth a detour and experience. Thanks to the accommodating staff and interesting wine list.
Liu D — Google review
Awesome tasting menu. Mostly vegetables but done in such a flavourful way you won’t miss the meat — it’s used more for seasoning than anything else. One of the few Michelin star restaurants I have returned to — not just twice but three times! The mushroom “fois gras” is particularly spectacular and I hope they never take it off the menu. The head chef is super lovely and comes out to chat to diners, and you get little cards explaining each dish. Brilliant experience, highly recommended!
Meri W — Google review
Absolutely outstanding experience at Horváth! ⭐⭐ The atmosphere is cozy and elegant, with a very unique vibe that makes the evening feel special right from the start. The vegetarian menu was one of the best I’ve ever had—creative, flavorful, and really different from anything else in Berlin. What was meant to be a four-course menu turned into a generous seven courses, with smaller and bigger plates plus sides. The portions were surprisingly generous for fine dining, and every single dish was beautifully balanced. Sebastian and the whole team were incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even more enjoyable. You can really feel the passion and care they put into both the food and the service. If you’re looking for a truly unique two Michelin-star experience in Berlin, especially as a vegetarian, Horváth is an absolute must. 🌿🍷
Mohsen K — Google review
Horváth offers an interesting and technically ambitious take on modern vegetarian cuisine, with a clear focus on fermentation and creativity. However, the overall balance of the dishes sometimes feels uneven, which affects the harmony of flavors. The eclectic wine list is intriguing, though the pairings can be challenging for guests without in-depth wine knowledge. The atmosphere is pleasantly relaxed for a two-star Michelin restaurant — no formal dress code needed, as guests ranged from jeans and trainers to sweaters and casual wear.
Peter N — Google review
20.12.24 I think my expectations were too high, so I was a little disappointed. I really enjoyed the creativity, detail, and technique of the food, but the overall food lacked organization and cohesion. I didn't feel like the wine pairings matched the food, but the variety of white, orange, and ice wines was nice. It was vegetarian menu. I didn’t know… 🙂‍↕️ Next time the menu changes, I'll give it a try.
Sori K — Google review
A truly unforgettable dining experience! They offer exquisite dishes bursting with flavor, served in a beautifully ambient setting. The chef and his team are warm, welcoming, and attentive, making you feel completely at ease. Can’t recommend it enough! 🌟🌟🌟
Marco D — Google review
So to put it bluntly, it was over priced and one essentially got, you know that part of the vegetable that you usually throw away or use as a garnish for other dishes. Yeah. That at over 30 euros per plate. The small tasting is 160 euro without wine. The “oxidized salad” was literally a spoiled salad that was both slimy and flavorless. The bread was good but pretty sure they charged us for it … which they kept pushing. The celery root is literally just celery salt. We had to eat somewhere afterwards. If the word subtle is used, then expect flavorless veg. Hey, they’re trying something, but it is not working in my opinion. So if high prices, small portions of overworked vegetables are your thing, then here is your place. The waitstaff were friendly and professional, the atmosphere was nice. But I would take the money elsewhere and go to one of the many other restaurants that can be found in Berlin.

Café Cinema is a cozy and bohemian hangout located in Hackescher Markt, known for its stage lights and graffiti-lined courtyard. The bar has a quirky, nostalgic ambiance with sepia-colored posters and photos adorning the walls, creating a unique atmosphere reminiscent of the golden age of cinema. Visitors can enjoy good coffee in a cool setting on the small patio within the courtyard, which is covered in graffiti and street art.
I went to Café Cinema in Berlin at night with a friend, and we just used the bar. It’s on Rosenthaler Straße 39 in Mitte. Inside it’s dark and cosy, with old cinema posters on the wall and a bit of a mismatched look. Out back there’s a courtyard with string lights that feel almost magical, like something out of *A Midsummer Night’s Dream*. The drinks were decent and fairly priced, though the service was a little slow. One thing to be aware of is a Ghanaian man who charges you to use the toilet. Overall, it’s a quirky spot for a drink at night.

Coffee was good. Staffs are friendly and kind. Unique vintage design in good location. Good to have drinks and a piece cake with friends chill there :) Cash only !!!!!!

Lovely place, very atmospheric and perfect for lovers of vintage. You order at the bar, so not much to say about the service, but the coffee and pastries we had were good. The music and decor is what makes this place special.

Since there was no space inside, we sat outside, but it was still quite warm because it was tucked away in a corner. It’s a self-service place and quite crowded. The prices were reasonable.

Always a vibe. Great music. Awesome ambiance. But the guys at the counter looked exhausted (pissed). 😅 Love the crowd though.

Cool as… didn’t need the toilet! Just loved the dark dingy vibe. It was way cooler than me but the staff were lovely. Little room where you could have a coffee and smoke a cigarette. Felt like 50’s Berlin. Loved it. ❤️

The drinks have good prices, the outdoor patio is pretty nice and you can sit comfortably. It gives you a nice vibe and it feels like a place where you can easily talk and meet new people from around the world. But I must give three stars as I will never accept the fact that to use the bathroom, you have to pay. For me this is a big NO. And reason enough to take 2 stars away.

whimsical and nostalgic. only cash if i remember correctly. they serve coffee very late which is great and decaf too. there is a separate smoking room. it’s dark inside and usually crowded. they also have some cakes i think but haven’t tried yet. cute bar for dates, it’s a bit loud but you can still talk. staff is cool.

We just went for a plate of Kaiserschmarrn and it was a delight! Soft on the inside and crunchy on the outside. The plum sauce was also great with it. The people here are also very warm. Would recommend making a reservation as the restaurant gets filled up quite soon.

Great Austrian food; we tried their Schnitzel and Goulash which was absolutely delicious with a big portion. The chocolate soufflé was also very tasty, although the apple strudel was a bit over stuffed but still very tasty. The interesting part was where my husband and I entered with a flower bouquet and there was a vase ready on our table before we even notice (it was so surprising that at first I thought it was tap water haha), very considerate and thoughtful. The only negative point was that it looked like they were understaffed with only two personnel and they didn’t check on us for our next orders on time and we were so tired at the end. But one of them was very polite and friendly The rest of our experience was totally positive :) Indoors was very peaceful and quiet with a very romantic atmosphere and beautiful decorations, very authentic Totally recommended if you’re looking for a good Austrian dish in Berlin
Sara B — Google review
Nice restaurant in Kreuzberg. I really liked the vegan tempeh option. The asparagus was good, but somehow this dish was missing some taste. Kaiserschmarn (ordered a half portion) was really good, as well as the drinks.
Marla Z — Google review
Great restaurant with lovely tafelspitz, schnitzel and some of the best Kaiserschmarrn and apfelstrudel I’ve tried. However, when paying the bill, the waiter guilt tripped me into tipping by saying “you forgot to add a tip” which is absolutely not done and ruined the experience for us. You’ve taken advantage of peoples awkwardness and politeness. The service was not the best and somewhat slow, if it was any better I would’ve absolutely tipped on my own accord.

Rüyam Gemüse Kebab is a popular spot in Berlin known for its delicious offerings. The Gemuse Doner im Brot, a chicken kebab with roasted vegetables and flavorful garlic and spicy sauces, is a favorite among visitors. The bread and durum are both excellent, with the bread being particularly noteworthy. While the seating area may not be the most aesthetically pleasing, the food more than makes up for it.
Wow. My son found this place online. The queue was long when we arrived. And we know why. The food was amazing. It was my daughter’s 16th. She was so happy. Don’t judge a book by its cover because if you do you will miss out on probably the best kebab I’ve ever eaten.
Claire C — Google review
I went here to have dinner, and ordered the best seller: gemüse kebab. It came with chicken, cheese, sauces (one spicy and another with garlic) and multiple vegetables. The pita bread was hot and crispy, the meat tender and flavourful and the rest of the ingredients made it a 10. They have a tea machine to get one while you wait or for dessert. The worst part is that the place is packed, and the wait time can be a bit long.
Tasting S — Google review
If you plan your day right using the Google Map's traffic data, you can skip the long line. When I arrived, I just had to wait for like 10 mins to place my order, 20 mins to get my order. However when I was leaving it there, I saw a huge line out of the store. The food quality is very good. It is the most delicious Doener in the whole Berlin. Simply because they are using real meat instead of using meat combined with bread. It is Doener, so it was pretty oily. Portion was enough. Not too much or not enough to make one pax full. There was free tea for everyone to grab. Which makes the experience very authentic. The ambiance is very clean and enjoyable. The only problem was that it only accepts cash. I sincerely wish that this country moves away from being cash based. I mean not even 3rd world countries use cash anymore. Shouldn't the first economy of Europe do something? Perhaps this is one of the reason of its demise ....
Farid R — Google review
Rüyam Gemüse Kebab is absolutely amazing! It’s one of those must-try local spots in Berlin where you really taste why kebabs are such a big part of German street food culture. The meat is perfectly grilled — juicy and flavorful — and the fresh vegetables add such a nice balance. The bread is warm, soft, and slightly crispy on the edges. Everything comes together perfectly with their special sauce! Even though there’s usually a queue, it moves fast and the food is totally worth the wait. You can really feel the lively Berlin vibe here — simple, authentic, and full of flavor. Definitely one of the best kebabs I’ve ever had in Germany!

Dürüm Döner was juicy and tasted really good. Big portion as well. However, on midday Saturday it took about 50 minutes from walking in to having it in my hands: the queue to order was "only" around 10 minutes but it took another 40 for the kitchen to fulfill the order. Cash only.
Jonas M — Google review
overrated :/ long line, waited for 40 mins (it’s friday night to be fair) but the döner wasn’t even that good. the meat (chicken) was nice, but the grilled veggies were cut so small, you couldn’t even taste them! the bread was too thick and not crispy enough. sauces were so low inside the döner and the veggies-meat distribution was not even at all so it wasn’t a good döner experience overall. immerhin gabs tee und war trotzdem lecker, aber verglichen mit anderen dönern hat rüyam unverhältnismäßig gute reviews.

We had such an amazing moment in Ataya. This plant-based restaurant which offer a fusion of Italian and African food is a must try in Berlin. A little outside the main street of the city, this place is a safe haven (and heaven) to enjoy good food and a relaxing moment. Here, you will find no processed food, no waste in the kitchen but delicious and beautiful dishes. We got to try their fresh smoothies as well an Italian dish (Homemade raviolis) and an African one (Toloff bowl). Although we were already very satisfied with the main dish, we shared their famous Vegan Tiramisu: as airy as it is tasty. I'd highlight suggest you coming for a few hours to discuss with friends on the sharing tables (no laptop policy for more interaction) or even to come for their Sunday brunch. The team is on top of that really friendly. No wonder it got rated as Berlin's best vegan restaurant on Happy Cow :)

The Wiener Schnitzel is particularly praised for its generous portion size and perfectly breaded, evenly-cooked meat.
Pleasantly surprised. Typically German food is okay, but this place really hits the spot and makes me appreciate German cuisine. We ordered basically one of each and finished every plate. I will be for sure returning and making this my go to German spot.

Absolutely top quality schnitzel! This is one of the very few places where I prefer the veal schnitzel over the pork! We came on a warm day so were able to sit outside by the bike path. Note that you'll get lots of bikers zipping by during your meal if you opt for the outer row of tables! The service was friendly and recommended some dishes to my date when she struggled to order something different from my standard Schnitzel. Alas, she ultimately opted for the Schweineschnitzel and I got the Kalbschnitzel, both with Preiselbeeren of course. When the waiter brought it out, I was blown away by the portion size! I did opt for the large portion while my date got the small, but I didn't realize how large it would actually be! Very surprising, given the quality and price. Anyway, I gobbled the entire thing up because it was fantastic and was absolutely stuffed. However, I couldn't say no to my favorite dessert -- Kaiserschmarrn, which they make fresh so it takes around 20m to prepare. I will say that it wasn't my favorite take on the plum sauce, but I still shoveled it in and finished the whole thing. Overall, I'd definitely come back here for the top-tier food quality and maybe try some of their other entrees. Maybe I'll see you there. Guten Appetit!

Have been here twice. First time was a while ago. I had a schnitzel and it was alright, but definitely not the best schnitzel I’ve had. Second time we asked for a table for two and though it was 3pm and very empty, we were rudely told to get up and move to a table for 2, rather than the table we sat at which was for 3 but which we preferred because the rest of tables were in a stuffy back room. So we left. Ended up at the Austrian restaurant down the street where service was so lovely and atmosphere was so much cozier.

Looking for a great late Breakfast, this is the place! Quirky, unique and pink! We stumbled upon it by accident. Apparently they also have live shows they put on too. I was slightly suspect that the “draw” of this place was the atmosphere and live shows, and that the food may be an afterthought, but my concern was unfounded. We ordered the farmers omelet and crepes. Both were superb. All served with a warm and friendly smile. Their cappuccino and mimosas were also excellent. Disappointed we couldn’t go during a performance but we would definitely go back. Wouldn’t say inexpensive, but for 2 cappuccinos, 2 mimosas, the extra large farmers omelette and crepes we paid less than €60 in total. Definitely recommend!

We went as a trio for a friend’s birthday and had a lovely evening. Beautiful cake vitrine and the cocktail menu was very extensive. Since we aren’t drinkers we were very happy with the alcohol free cocktails that were noticeably cheaper than the alcoholic drinks. Evi was our server and she was very attentive . As for the show, the musical numbers often had the audience singing along and the showgirl and acrobatic numbers were quite entertaining! Definitely worth the cost for a great evening!

Overall Rating: 4.3 / 5 I went there with a friend. It had been recommended to us, so we wanted to give it a try. We didn’t make a reservation in advance, but since we arrived early, it wasn’t necessary. Food: We started with a selection of appetizers: hummus, feta cheese with some kind of grilled paprika, a tomato-based sauce, bread, and a yogurt-like dip. • Hummus & Feta with Paprika: Tasty, but not extraordinary. The hummus could have been better with more olive oil. The feta with paprika was quite ordinary. • Bread: We really liked the bread — it was served piping hot, just the way we like it. • Tomato Sauce: It was fresh, with a nice hint of garlic, which we enjoyed. • Main Course (Chicken): The chicken was very tasty, and we loved it. Highly recommended. The portion size was more than enough for one person. • Turkish Coffee: As someone from Turkey, we didn’t really like it — the grind of the coffee seemed too coarse. But it didn’t matter much to us at the end. Service: The staff were very kind and attentive. Atmosphere: The place had a cozy and pleasant vibe. However, when the place got crowded, the noise level rose significantly, and after a while, the music also became a bit disturbing. Price: €81 in total, without alcohol.

Booking at Yafo was a little difficult - the restaurant cancelled/changed the date/time twice but were very nice about it and organised a nice goodwill gesture on the finally organised date. But once we got there, the restaurant was excellent - casual, chatty service and the server knew the menu inside out. I'd definitely suggest that if you're used to UK sized 'sharing plates' to order fewer dishes - the portions for sharing were pretty big! The servers can help and advise. Loved the experience, sitting in the square and the delicious Wedding Houmous. Very much recommended for a Berlin trip and for vegetarians particularly.

Really great place for mediterranean food and vibes. Loved how our waiter explained every dish to us. It’s all about food, sharing and having a great evening with friends. Food was delicious with lots of veggies options and the hummus is exceptional.

Vegan restaurant
Tianfuzius, the pioneering vegetarian Chinese restaurant in Berlin, has been delighting diners since 2015 with its vibrant and airy atmosphere. Located in Schoneberg, this Szechuan-inspired eatery offers a diverse menu that showcases an array of dishes crafted from fresh vegetables, seitan, and tofu. Guests can indulge in beloved classics like dumplings and spring rolls or explore unique offerings such as morel salad drizzled with black vinegar sauce.
The food was super delicious. Most meals were available in a smaller size at around half the price, which made sharing and trying new dishes a breeze. Staff was really friendly and gave my dog a water bowl.

Yummy food. Especially liked the cold starters. Fresh ingredients. Fast and friendly service.

Very nice vegan and vegetarian food. The vegan pork belly and the fried lotus root stand out. Cucumber salad and water spinach are also a good addition. The food is best shared between a couple of people so you can taste a lot of different dishes. There is an option to order a "small portion" so you can try even more items on the menu. They also have "safe" options like vegan duck prepared the "classic" way. It is easy to have a nice experience here.

Nicely tucked away though more obvious to locals :-). Good selection of vegan. Well spaced seating area. Very yummy!

This is vegetarian restaurant which is very popular. Very difficult to get a table without reservation. We had a table reserved still had to wait to be seated. Ordered few starters and main course. All the items were excellent. But, we recommend Water chestnut, Lotus stem and vegan chicken dishes. Tea is excellent option to try for a drink.

I feel so lucky to have discovered this place. Tianfuzius offers a huge menu of creative, meat-free Chinese dishes. The dim sum really stands out for the bold flavour and inventive fillings. The restaurant is quite large, so you have a reasonable chance of a table without a reservation. The team really makes you feel welcome - so warm and attentive.
Graham B — Google review
On point, totally worth a visit. It’s as if you were eating in Chengdu, flavors well combined, in a traditional way and not just to meet European preferences. Tofu skin has been a state of the art experience. I’ll come again for sure.

I liked the place more than the food. But probably because I am not vegan 😒. Anyway, objectively, it was fresh, there was variety, the service was polite, and the prices ok. Card payment, too. So, if you are vegan, I guess it is a great place. If you are not, don't bother. Or just go for the fried rice.

Nice cocktails - tasty, but nothing particularly special. The service was a bit odd.
Kwang S — Google review
Really tasty cocktail in a great location right by Rosenthaler Platz. I had two cocktails, both very tasty (their version of espresso martini and Vitamin which was very unusual). The service was nice (we were served by Elias), I could even taste beer before picking one to order. The cocktails are a bit pricey but it is still within Mitte prices. I would just prefer less flashy interior (lights were a lot 🙈) and a different choice of music except EDM. But I will certainly go back for the cocktails!
Aleksandra K — Google review
We had cocktails that tasted very watery, although the recipes were very creative and sounded tasty. Staff friendly, chips delicious.

I went last night with a group of friends. We all had a drink from the menu. One was enough, they're really really bad. I really don't understand all the good reviews here. The drinks were tasteless, and you can even see it on the photos people post here. I've never been to a place where every single drink was so bad. Honestly. And on top of that, suuuper expensive. I don't recommend it at all. Berlin is huge, has lot of places to go, so please, don't waste your money here.

Great vibe and lighting, tunes were like a solid, light lounge, funky disco-ish. Decor is electro smooth, especially art per cocktail... and the drinks were really good, and unique but not for the sake of it. Good barman helped too :)

Du Bonheur is a charming café and French patisserie located near the Berlin Wall Monument. Founded by Anna Plagens and Stephan Zuber, it offers a delightful selection of delicate French pastries, sweet and savory treats, tarts, and custom-order cakes. The café's name perfectly captures the feeling of indulgence experienced when savoring their scrumptious creations.
Beautiful! Tasty! And pricey. My cappuccino was good, but my friend didn't like his cup of coffee. Beside the cakes they also have sweet pastry ✅ Decaf options ✅ English ✅ Card payment
Milawka N — Google review
The desserts are really worth a try, but better for take away. The place is tiny and even if you find a spot, the crowds of people in line make it rather unpleasant to sit there. Especially considering the fact that most of the desserts are 6-8€, I’d expect a nicer setup. The service is rather slow and not particularly friendly. So spare yourself from unnecessary stress and if you decide to go, then just take out.

I like that pastry shop so much. Amazing quality, great taste. If you want a real French flavour in Berlin - it’s a place to go! Be careful - it’s addictive. Great with coffee. My personal recommendation is a muss cake with roasted hazelnuts 🍰☕️🌰

Du Bonheur is hands down my absolute favorite patisserie in Berlin! I get my birthday cake from them every single year — it’s become a tradition I truly look forward to. The quality, the taste, the presentation… everything is always perfection. I’ve also started ordering cakes for my friends’ birthdays, and they’re just as obsessed as I am now! Their creations aren’t just beautiful to look at — they’re full of flavor and made with so much care. Whether it’s a classic tart or one of their seasonal specialties, you can really taste the difference. The team is always kind and helpful, making the whole experience even more special. Can’t recommend Du Bonheur enough — it’s a little slice of Paris in Berlin, and it brings me and my loved ones so much joy each year!

I recently had the pleasure of trying the pastries at this delightful spot, and I must say, it's a haven for dessert enthusiasts. The desserts are not only delicious but also beautifully crafted, showcasing a perfect blend of flavors. The service was exceptional, with a friendly and attentive staff that added to the overall positive experience. The atmosphere was cozy, providing a welcoming ambiance for enjoying sweet treats. What's even better is that all this comes at reasonable prices, making it a fantastic value for the delightful indulgence. Highly recommended for anyone with a sweet tooth!
Erfan A — Google review
I visited this pastry shop this morning, hoping for a quick breakfast treat, but I left feeling really disappointed, especially considering the price I paid. The seating was extremely limited, a small bar with only three cramped spots inside and just two tables outside, which felt unwelcoming in the cold. To my surprise, there’s an extra charge for dining in; for example, the almond millefeuille went from 6.30 euros to 7.06 euros if you choose to sit down. This surcharge applies to all their pastries, which felt unnecessary given the minimal and uncomfortable seating options. The coffee didn’t help redeem the experience, with milk that was over-foamed, lacking that smooth, creamy texture I expected. The almond millefeuille, which I was looking forward to, also didn’t live up to expectations. The cream was too soft, with a strong marzipan flavor that masked any true almond taste. For the price, I was expecting a more balanced and refined pastry. The pain au chocolat was standard but not memorable, certainly not worth the premium. Overall, while this shop might be okay for a quick takeaway, it didn’t live up to expectations for a quality pastry experience. The added charge for sitting in, combined with the uncomfortable seating, made me feel that my money was wasted. I left disappointed, feeling that the experience was far from worth the price.

Doner kebab restaurant
Fast food restaurant
"Kebap with Attitude" is a trendy and stylish kebab restaurant that offers a unique twist on the classic Berlin dish. The establishment prides itself on using high-quality meat and innovative ingredients to elevate the traditional doner kebab. In addition to their delectable kebabs, they also offer a variety of craft beers and wines to complement the dining experience. Customers can expect fast and professional service in a sophisticated yet relaxed atmosphere, complete with chilled music.
A Funky Kebab Spot in Berlin You Can’t Miss! If you’re looking for a fresh and contemporary take on kebabs in Berlin, this place is an absolute must-visit! We dined as a group of four adults with young kids, and the experience was nothing short of fantastic. The restaurant’s funky, modern vibe set the perfect tone for a relaxed and fun meal. The food? Incredible. The menu offered a creative spin on classic kebabs, with options that pleased both meat lovers and vegetarians alike. The flavors were bold, the ingredients fresh, and the presentation was just as exciting as the taste. Even our little ones—who can be quite picky—devoured their meals with enthusiasm. The restaurant clearly understands how to cater to families without compromising on quality or creativity. Beyond the food, the staff truly made the experience special. They were warm, welcoming, and super accommodating, making sure our kids were comfortable and helping us navigate the menu with ease. The service was fast and friendly, adding to the laid-back yet lively atmosphere. Whether you’re a kebab purist or someone looking for a fresh twist on this beloved dish, this spot is a winner. With a fantastic mix of great food, a cool setting, and top-notch hospitality, we’ll definitely be coming back for more!

As someone from Turkey who has sampled the best doner restaurants, I find this one surprisingly good. The beef is crispy, the rice quality is excellent, and the sauces taste fantastic. Additionally, everyone is very friendly and welcoming. And, you can enjoy authentic Turkish tea 🙂
Berk A — Google review
The service was truly excellent. I’m writing this as someone from Turkey, the homeland of kebab. The flavor was a bit misinterpreted. I can’t say it was bad at all, but it wasn’t particularly impressive either. The plating and food presentation were classic and great—very clean and appealing. However, the main item, the meat, was quite dry. It resembled heavily dried, shredded meat. The hummus was fantastic. The balance of yogurt and water in the ayran, along with the touch of mint, was also nicely done. Well done and thank you!
Oguz Y — Google review
Hip kebab restaurant with craft beer. The pickled vegetables and falafels were excellent. Truffled fries were brilliant. Delicious Brlo craft beer on tap. Friendly staff and good vibes.

Great menu and delicious kebabs - beef, chicken, veggie and vegan options. We enjoyed the seasonal special with white asparagus and hollandaise. Strong coffee and tasty baklava to finish.
Laura B — Google review
Food was amazing!! Lovely atmosphere and really friendly staff. Would recommend 100%. Really great for veggie/vegan because you can subsistute the meat on any dish for falafel or halloumi!
Luke H — Google review
This was a fantastic restaurant, offering an elevated take on the classic Doner. The Doner itself was delicious—flavorful and well-prepared. It was a bit dry for my taste, but the staff were more than happy to provide extra sauce, which made it perfect. The staff were incredibly kind and friendly, adding a personal touch to the overall experience. While it’s a bit pricier than your typical Doner spot, it’s clear that this isn’t just an ordinary fast-food joint. You’re paying for the quality, presentation, and a more refined dining experience. If you’re looking to enjoy a premium take on a beloved dish with excellent service in a nice atmosphere, this place is well worth the visit.

Nice and hearty Turkish restaurant in Berlin. One of the really few ones offering fresh fish. I also recommend to try their salad! I had a few dinners there and I suggest to book in advance, especially on weekends as it can get quite crowded. Overall it's a very nice fish place, with a real Turkish vibe!
Fra M — Google review
My party waited for 1 hour and 15 minutes for our grilled fish while two nearby tables had already received their fish and finished eating.. The staff mentioned there was a technical issue with the grill. However, other tables still received grilled fish. Our order was just forgotten and we reminded the staff twice. When we finally received our meals, they only accepted cash and did not provide a receipt. I recommend confirming payment options and requesting an itemized bill before ordering.

Very authentic fish tavern! The place is a long time family business. It’s more a tavern than a restaurant though. The food (seafood) is very good. Taste fresh and homemade. We took a salad for 2, kalamaris, red fish and fries. That was enough for 2 persons. We paid 22€ each with drinks. The place is full of pictures from visitors, famous people and old memories. It’s actually very nice. Don’t expect something fancy, this place is nice and genuine but it is not a 4 stars restaurant. Is worth it doe the food quality.

So delicious and amazingly fresh fish! The owner is lovely and so kind and generous. MUST haves: fried anchovies, fried sardines, salad, and taramasalata! All Super fresh, fried really nicely and not too oily. Highly recommend, one of the best meals I’ve had in Berlin!

What an amazing atmosphere! It felt like we were at a Turkish fisherman’s seafood hut! The karaoke and music in the background was a vibe! The salad was delicious and the cold prawn starter went down a treat. We shared a whole sea bass and some frites for our main course. Would recommend. I’m from the UK and the restaurant sits under the railway arch so you can hear the trains move above. Reminded me of London. Would recommend!

Delicious food served with a smile. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The various dishes are very creative and well put together. I personally loved the alcohol free pairing as well. The restaurant is well decorated and the location is perfect. This has to be one of the best vegan restaurants out there. For me, that is where I missed something during my visit. I found most dishes sort of rivalling the traditional meat/fish dishes. Personally I was hoping, prior to my visit, for a bit more out of the box dishes with a wow effect. Vegan is not meat so why try to create similar experiences?
Wietse T — Google review
Decent vegan fine dining experience. Dishes were fairly good. But the dessert stood out the most. The 5 stars were mainly for our lovely Italian waiters and the wine selection.

I basically never give reviews, but this was exceptional. The food was explosive with flavour. Zero waste. Nice atmosphere. Great service. I was here on my own, and Saira made me feel incredibly welcome the whole time. Amazing attention to detail. Literally my only critique would be you can’t get tap water, which I get because it’s a fancy restaurant, but I don’t like the waste of a bottle when tap water is perfectly fine. But this is so minor. Overall I absolutely loved it.
Nic Y — Google review
We’ve been at FREA and tried the 4-course menu with the wine pairing. The expectations were of course high since the restaurant is listed in the Michelin guide with a green star. The quality of ingredients as well as the presentation of each dish were of the highest level. Yet, we felt that many dishes presented overall similar flavors. Also, we felt that the “wow” effect was missing. On the other hand the wine selection was sublime. Interesting that only one red wine was paired. The service was excellent as well as the location. I would be curious to try a different menu.

Amazing fine dining experience. Everything was absolutely delicious, the flavours were incredible. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The cocktails were amazing - only great things to say about this visit! We had 4 courses - 5 would have been too many for our level of hunger. Visited Frea on Monday, July 8th. We had high expectations due to the restaurant's high ratings and its mention in the Michelin Guide. The place itself is lovely—well-decorated with a nice ambiance, and the staff was friendly. However, we were quite disappointed with the food. We had the 4 course menu. The flavors were overwhelmingly salty and acidic, making the dishes hard to enjoy- specially the cauliflower. After seeing other reviews, we realized this issue wasn't unique to our experience. This was unexpected given the restaurant's reputation. Cocktails were good but we were not convinced by the dessert flavours. It might be just our personal taste… Additionally, my boyfriend had mentioned it was my birthday when booking and was expecting at least a candle in the dessert. For a restaurant of this range, we expected not only a friendly staff but much more refined flavors and attention to detail.

Spent an afternoon at this amazing market. It is full of unique eateries and once you step inside you get a glimpse of how these folks live large and enjoy life with the unpredictable weather of Berlin. Each eatery is unique and there are a number of stores selling food products. I’d go bankrupt if I lived nearby. Had two of the most amazing pizzas there, nothing short of what you’d get in Rome. The atmosphere is amazing and everyone we spoke with just had a huge smile. It’s a small version of Seattle’s Pike Place market or Toronto’s St Lawrence market. The colorful assortment includes classic Maki rolls such as Princess Salmon and Black Night, providing a satisfying dining experience.
We went there as 3 on a Sunday. I would recommend to make reservations on weekend. Staff was super friendly and the food was delish. Also I liked the interior a lot. Most of all I liked the truffle mushroom on sourdough bread, intense flavor and really tasty. Pancakes were not like the usual ones you get, here from outside crispy and inside still soft. For my taste, I really liked it. One good thing for travelers, they have an extra room for luggage storage. The only thing I would recommend, is maybe to hang a curtain in front of the entrance during winter season. I sat with my back to the entrance and each time the door got open, I really got goosebumps. At the end I took one Avocado shake to go which was really creamy.

I really love this place and its unique avocado concept — every dish and even the drinks are made with avocado! It’s a paradise for avocado lovers. I ordered the burrata, and it was absolutely delicious. The creaminess paired perfectly with the avocado, and I highly recommend it. But the real standout was the avocado coconut smoothie — honestly one of the best drinks I’ve ever had. It was rich, refreshing, and perfectly balanced. I’d go back just for that! If you’re looking for something different and tasty, this spot is definitely worth a visit.

The food was delicious! For the price, however, I would have hoped for something more. The avocado waffle with the planted chicken was great. I think it’s great that it was available as an option. The beetroot smoked salmon was also fine. The atmosphere and the restaurant was great. Mega full for a Saturday, so reserve a table just in case. Would go again and try the other dishes.
Vaish T — Google review
The food is great but it takes a long time to be served. If you are in a rush, this is probably not a place for you. The smoothie is amazing and the chicken waffle is a must order.
Arana W — Google review
Highly overrated; the place looks tacky and cheap, the menu seems to have been out together on random and priced as if high quality. I had the pickled salmon, and could not taste any salmon - could have as well had bread with vinegar. The bread itself is sad, crust so hard you cannot cut through, mini slice for 14 euros. Service is a joke, the girl serving us complained how busy she is, left us hanging a few times, and we also waited 35mins for the food to arrive. Overall, cute idea, bad execution. Skip and go to the many better places Berlin has to offer

Okay breakfast spot. The bread with feta and date chutney is good. The water prices however are ridiculous. Almost 7€ for water is just too much, the only other option available is 200ml, which is just as ridiculous for almost 4€.

A very stylish and cozy spot for breakfast! The dishes were beautifully presented and delicious. We tried a fresh ceviche and a plate of green falafel - both were amazing and full of flavor.

I talked with Sarina, who is a very very kind person, to make sure that everything went good and she answered immediately and exhaustively. She followed me till the delivery! Today when the pack arrived the cakes were beautiful, they were amazing both in taste and in looks! The attention that Sarina put into baking them is amazing! I hope to have the chance to taste them again in the future!!

Witty's Currywurst is a Berlin street food joint that specializes in serving organic currywurst. The shop prides itself on its carefully sourced ingredients, ensuring that the sausages meet organic principles and welfare standards while maintaining a delicious flavor. With a focus on quick service, Witty's offers takeaway options due to limited seating. The dish itself consists of steamed and fried sausage pieces accompanied by french fries, all smothered in a blend of curry powder and tomato ketchup.
I recently tried Witty’s Currywurst and had a great experience! The prices were very good. The portion size of the currywurst and fries was generous, and the staff were incredibly friendly, taking the time to explain the different types of meals available. Overall, a nice spot for currywurst lovers and a place I’d definitely visit again!
Gabriela M — Google review
Currywurst isn’t usually my go-to dish, but I wanted to give it a try. The staff was very kind, and the sausage itself was tasty, with the added bonus of being organic. For my personal taste, there was a bit too much ketchup and curry powder, but that’s just preference. I still definitely recommend this place, it’s one of the best I came across. There might be a bit of a line, and the space inside is quite small for eating, but you can always head to the small square just behind. Great value for money overall.
Michele M — Google review
Really yummy, good quality organic Currywurst in the heart of the city. All the sausage is gluten free including the Currywurst! And the chips too :) (safe for coeliacs!) Yummy, cheap, satiating. Would return
Leonie P — Google review
Loved it! I got there was there was no one, so it was rather quick to get my order. I have celiac disease and knew beforehand that it was safe for me. I haven't tried currywurst before because normally it can be contaminated with gluten but not here. The portions are generous and the price is super ok! I loved the potatoes and the sausage. Would 100% recommend.
Giovanna C — Google review
It is exactly what you expect from a take-away currywurst place. Hot wurst, crispy chips, loads of curry ketchup, and the other dipping sauces are good too. Gluten free wurst and chips and most sauces. Clean place.
Yogita M — Google review
Very nice flavour of the sausages. Love the sauces and fries nice and thick. Very friendly staff.
Stef — Google review
We stopped by Witty’s to try their vegan currywurst. The portion was generous, and the sausage itself was tasty with a good amount of curry sauce — satisfying for a quick bite. I appreciated the attention to detail with the vegan preparation: the vegan sausage is fried separately (not on the shared grill), cut with a separate knife, and served with a small flag indicating it’s vegan — a thoughtful touch for those with dietary preferences or restrictions. The stall is located just outside the station under the arches. It’s very much a grab-and-go kind of place, with limited space to linger, but perfect if you’re looking for a quick, casual bite while on the move.
Ziqi C — Google review
Witty's Currywurst at train station Friedrichstrasse is my favourite place for curry wurst in Berlin. I like the high quality of the food and the cool service: always friendly, always professional. Top! This time I also took a "Currywurst im Glas" - which I am just right now enjoying at my home in Noordwijk/Netherlands.

Japanese restaurant
Buya Ramen Factory is a spacious venue located in Kreuzberg, offering traditional Japanese soups with homemade noodles and vegan options. The restaurant has a fixed location on Reichenberger Strasse and features a serene Hinterhof in the summer, creating an ideal spot to savor delicious ramen while enjoying the picturesque surroundings. The menu is simple and straightforward, catering to ramen lovers with a variety of tasty dishes.
Best Ramen in Berlin. If you're looking for good authentic ramen, this is the place to go. Been here several times and I have nothing to complain. The food is always excellent, fast, yummy and great Vegan/Veggie options and the staff is always nice and competent. They make every wish come true. I asked if they could do my ramen less spicy and they did. The restaurant itself is really cozy but with the open kitchen and the few big tables it's quiet loud, but I think that's part of the experience. getting a table can be a hustle and you might have to wait a bit, so I recommend reserving one in advance. You can just pull up their website and choose a time that's available, but even if there is no table left you can just go, because they do a lot of walk in. All in all it's 5 stars for me
Lena O — Google review
It was very delicious. I had the Ukon Spicy Pork Ramen which was super flavourful and yummy. The service recommended it to me! The staff generally was super friendly. Cool atmosphere. Busy but not too loud. I had a blast having my birthday here! Will come again! :D
Phillip N — Google review
I don't eat Ramen or noodle soups alot so this spot was kind of a pleasant surprise in my reviewing journey. I had this one on my list for some time and the first time I went here we had to wait like 45minutes until we got seated. Due to their high demand they have like a analog queue list which is kinda cool. Definitely don't go here if you didn't rsvp or don't have too much time. Service was always nice so far be it when I went there to eat or to check the queue. Food comes in a good time and Is definitely different depending on what you've ordered. And there's ample opportunity to customize your order too. Extra this or that. The food itself is great and I really enjoy myself there. It feels fair and yummy. My only issue probably is that you gotta reserve a day before if you wanna plan on going there. Spontaneous visits are kinda tough as mentioned earlier. They also have a Japanese high tech toilet there. Check it by chance. 5 Stars - became my to go ramen place
Hoang N — Google review
Great, tasty, unique ramen. The first time I tried Tan Tan; this time I went for the duck option. Both are delicious and unique. The Vorspeise is not the most recommended; just take the ramen, and you won't regret it. We had: - 2 Ramen (tan tan + duck) - Aubergine vorspeise - 2 beers Paid: 52€
Juliana L — Google review
Absolutely fire duck ramen! The broth was rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced, with tender duck that just melted in your mouth. The noodles had a great texture, and every bite felt comforting and full of umami. The place itself has a cool, modern vibe — tucked away in a backyard, which gives it a bit of a hidden gem feel. Service was super friendly and fast, and the overall experience was excellent. Prices are fair for the quality.Definitely one of the best ramen spots I’ve tried in Berlin!
Ana - — Google review
My experience with Ramen just got a another level up! I ordered the Crispy Duck and it was Awesome! But I also tasted Spicy Pork Ramen and it was even better!
Mina A — Google review
I came here with high expectations, but they weren’t met. I ordered the tantan ramen. The broth wasn’t as thick as it usually is. I’d read that the noodles were overcooked, but I was lucky — they were fine. The ground meat looked more like meatballs, as it was stuck together, and the peanuts weren’t crushed. If I had eaten this thinking it was a different soup, I would’ve said it was tasty. And it had a fair portion of meat. But it’s definitely not real tantan ramen. So it is 3/5. Oh yeah, and there was a line to be seated, we waited 15 min.
Nastya H — Google review
This place is perhaps rated the best ramen in Berlin and I can see why. Although it's expensive and I wouldn't say the flavours are traditional, the flavour is amazing. My pork was amazing. Super rich sauce and the meat was delectable. Also we ordered the yuzu (citrus) salt broth with tofu which was a unique flavour, also very delicious. Tends to cost 16€ per bowl or more. We didn't book on a Saturday at 17:15, the place was busy but there were plenty of spaces. Couldn't book ahead. What let it down was the small desert that cost 7€. The cheesecake was absolutely delicious, but I felt the portion size was tiny for the price. It should be more clear what you're ordering. Almost wanted to sent it back as it felt like a joke.

Restaurant
At Larb Koi Thai Home Cooking, located in the vibrant Friedrichshain district, diners are treated to an authentic taste of Thailand that stays true to its roots. The former head chef from Khwan crafts each dish with a fiery flair, ensuring that spice lovers will be delighted. From mouthwatering seafood curries and succulent pork neck stir-fries to giant oysters drizzled with chili sauce and refreshing papaya salads topped with mini octopus, every bite is a celebration of bold flavors.
Absolutely perfect! The food was incredibly flavourful and aromatic. The duck was life-changing - best I’ve ever had. The oysters were large and meaty, incredible seasoning, the chicken was delicious and aromatic, and the sticky mango rice was rich and comforting, the perfect way to end the meal. No notes really. The staff were extremely nice, helpful and accommodating. Cannot wait to go back - actually, we already booked our next visit. As others have said, it is quite spicy - the level of spice was perfect for us (with the help of a milk tea). The place also doesn’t accommodate vegan diets, and it would probably be tough for vegetarians as well.
Diane S — Google review
Best Thaifood outside Thailand! The waitress welcomed us with: no vegan food, we cook spicy, cash only! You better make a reservation! Highly recommended! 5 stars well deserved!
Marion L — Google review
Delicious, authentic thai recipes, excellently made. The service staff on a very busy evening were welcoming, efficient, quick and made us smile with their kindness. The menu has very few, if any, options for non-meat eaters and the kitchen cannot accommodate easily any minor special requests. Overpriced dishes, particularly for that area, the rather pricey wine menu needs to be reviewed- all the whites are very similar and desperately need an addition of an off-dry Riesling or a bit sweeter to better match with the food and the heat. A Thai beer brand would also add immensely to the experience. The sticky rice in the small serving of mango & rice pudding was not sticky, but crunchy and not that appealing, and the type of mango must have been chosen hastily (fibrous, not sweet enough). A must-go for the ones searching for authentic cuisine from all over Thailand and are prepared to pay more for it, in cash only.
Michael M — Google review
The food was super tasty and the right amount of spicy! Unfortunately the options for vegetarians are very few and not as tasty as the others, seems like an afterthought somehow on the menu. One thing I would criticise is that it doesn't seem to be well ventilated during winter, because the smell of fish is very strong.
Mathias F — Google review
We had a wonderful dinner here. Food is well seasoned and with a great level of spiciness ( my and my partners spice tolerance is 7-8/10, thier spiciness level to our taste was around 5-7/10. We had the Papaya salad, the confi duck, and the minced fork with the liver, together with mango and sticky rice for dessert and complimented with Lemongrass tea and jelly coffee. Everything was very delicious, maybe just the Papaya salad wasn't very much to my taste, it could be marinated for less time (or the tomatoes just didn't fit well there)
Daria S — Google review
The fried sea bass with curry sauce was great- really properly sweat inducing spice - they didn’t hold back! Based on that the octopus dish is probably lethal. The som tum was missing a certain something, the tuna tataki salad was nice, drinks a bit on the pricey side and they won’t give tap water. Cash only.
Lisa C — Google review
We came just for the dessert and the mango sticky rice was delicious!! The mango was so juicy and the rice was perfect. I wouldn’t recommend the coffee or Thai tea as they weren’t strong but the mango sticky rice was divine

Superfoods Berlin offers a range of healthy in-house and to-go options, including chia pudding, overnight oats, smoothies, Acai bowls, and salads. Located in the upscale area of Charlottenburg, it may not be the cheapest option but stepping inside makes you feel healthier. The restaurant also provides gluten-free breakfast choices such as sandwiches and smoothie bowl varieties at reasonable prices.
One of my favorite spots in Berlin! I absolutely love the chia seed pudding—it's perfectly creamy and delicious. The matcha with oat milk was also very good, smooth and not too sweet. The food selection is varied, with plenty of options for different tastes and diets. I also appreciate that all the ingredients are clearly listed, making it easy to choose. Definitely a place I’d recommend for a healthy and tasty meal!

The atmosphere is welcoming and the food is highly praised for its delicious and fresh flavors. Customers appreciate the variety of vegan creations, from mild to spicy, as well as the homemade chili sauce that adds a unique touch to their dishes.
We enjoyed the udon noodles and the pan main dish with an egg on top. Service was friendly and fast. Main djshes were different than common Vietnamese dishes you can find in Berlin. We did not like the mango sticky rice that much as the mango was not fresh.

First time trying the burgers at Burgermeister. I was not disappointed! Really great tasting and juicy burgers that are not greasy. I enjoyed the skin on fries as well. I also tried the blueberry cheesecake cookies, and they were delicious! The staff in this particular venue were really nice and very helpful. I will come back again when I next visit Berlin. Monika M — Google review
Too heavy and fatty. Couldn't eat anything for the rest of the day. Good enough as far as burgers go in Berlin. The free sauce refill is pretty nice too. The French fries were really good.
Amir R — Google review
My favourite hamburger place in Berlin. Prices are alright, and the quality is great for the price, especially compared to that artificial goo they call meet in "established" burger joints. The staff ia quick, so not much waiting time even when it's crowded.
Radoje A — Google review
i used to love burgermeister and i still do but my latest experiences were always that the burger (bread as well as meat) was too dry, felt like thrown together in a rush and not really "done" when I received it. not sure if this is supposed to match a new taste profile or if it's a decline in quality, as it's not "bad" per se. people who work there are always nice, will come back but might be worth looking into what's going on there.
Arno — Google review
The burgers here are good. I’ve been a loyal fan and have visited the Eberswalder Str. location multiple times. But for the price they charge, the service and overall experience are seriously lacking. First, the loyalty program is poorly managed. Staff told me to text customer service to get points since there’s no scanner at this location. I followed the instructions, sent receipts multiple times, and was told points would be added. Then I was suddenly informed that this location isn’t even part of the program — despite the fact that the new loyalty system is clearly advertised on their receipts. That’s misleading and frustrating. Second, there’s a lack of basic hygiene and customer facilities. There’s no toilet, no hand sanitizer, no wipes — nothing. If you want clean hands while eating your burgers, you’ll have to bring your own. The burgers are well. But for the price, you’d expect better service, transparency, and basic facilities. Sadly, I won’t be coming back. Update: The team reached out to me. They apologized, explained that the staff hadn’t been properly informed about the new loyalty system, and manually added my missing points. I appreciate that they took the time to fix the issue 💚

Doyum Restaurant is a vibrant Turkish grillhouse located in Kottbusser Tor, also known as Little Istanbul. It has been a popular spot for locals, partygoers, and tourists alike. The restaurant offers a variety of dishes including doner kebabs, durum wraps, rice dishes, and colorful salads. The charcoal-fired grill is always busy with minced lamb adana kebabs ready to be wrapped in flatbread or served with yogurt sauce, rice, and salad.
This was my favorite Turkish restaurant when I lived in Berlin 10 years ago. We went back again today and the quality is just as good as I remembered. Big portions of authentic Turkish food!

The best Turkish soup in Berlin for sure. We had both Iskembe and Paça çorbasi and i can say they were the best i have had so far. My boyfriend cleaned out the plate for sure! And very filling with the side bread which by the way, is so soft and fresh. We also tried lahmacun and pide but they were too spicy so i have taken one star off. Very good atmosphere as well
Nana — Google review
For my taste and budget living in Berlin: This is the worst, most expensive Dürum in Berlin. The bread was not very cooked and also the next plate was mistaken. I dint like at all. Also, the waiter was kind of grumpy all the time..
Oerd B — Google review
We visited this restaurant for an office lunch. Most menu items are priced around €20, which is reasonable considering the portion sizes. We ordered a variety of dishes, but unfortunately, the meat was quite tough and undercooked, which affected the overall experience.

The best kebab I've ever eaten. Recommended by a Berliner, I went there, and I'll go back every time I'm in Berlin.🔥
Soukhomlinoff F — Google review
They offer three kinds of soups: lentil, trotters, and tripe. We tried the last two, and the soups are awesome. Additionally, the soup is served with freshly baked bread, slices of lemon, garlic, and vinegar sauce. The Adana kebab is good, and the lahmacun is handmade and freshly baked. Lahmacun is above the European average, but I would prefer kebabs and soups. The waiter is quite kind, and the service was fast. The restaurant has a restroom, and it is clean. We didn't order dessert this time, but they looked delicious. Next time, we will try künefe and sütlaç. Tea is complimentary after the meal. We paid €40 for 2 bowls of soup, 2 lahmacun, 1 portion of Adana kebab, and 2 ayran. I think the price is reasonable.

This place has such a pretty outdoor area, especially on a sunny day. The overall design is lovely, and it’s the kind of spot where you could easily spend hours relaxing and enjoying the atmosphere. They even have a dedicated laptop area, though I was a bit disappointed to find out that laptops aren’t allowed on weekends when I came to work. My favourite dish here is the Caponata and Hummus, it looks beautiful and tastes even better!

We were there on a Saturday for brunch and the place itself is beautiful and love the plants on the ceilings. We also got a place after 5 minutes of waiting. And had to wait another 20-30 minutes for our food. The portion of the egg Benedict could be larger, but it tastes very delicious. But I still liked the coffee the most. I would go again for a coffee but not for food.
Vaish T — Google review
We got a table without a reservation after a short 5-minute wait, which was great. The service was excellent – very friendly and attentive. We both ordered decaf iced lattes, which were delicious. We also had the Eggs Benedict – they were good, though not the best I’ve ever had. I personally didn’t love the black cabbage salad that came with the bread, but that’s just a matter of taste. The location is bright and open with lots of natural light, and the overall vibe is really nice. I’d definitely come back – if only for the incredibly kind and welcoming staff!
Sarah G — Google review
A friend recommended this place, and I almost ordered everything on the menu, including the kitchen sink, because the food looked like it could win a beauty pageant. Unfortunately, it was more of a “looks can be deceiving” situation. The French toast was just bread with berries, lacking any sweetness—like a vanilla-less vanilla dream. I don’t usually go for super sweet stuff, but this was supposed to be a flavor explosion, not a flavor fizzle. On the bright side, the staff was friendly, and the library setting had some good vibes. I might give it another shot, but next time, I’ll order less and hope for a plot twist.
Nicholas G — Google review
I ordered the vegan waffle. The menu says "we only have a few items so that we can make them well", which I respect and find smart. However, the waffle came out soggy and quite cold. For a Belgian waffle, as advertised, the waffle was also rather flat and undercooked. The flavors were tasty, particularly the apple quince, but after paying 16 euros, I would hope to feel moderately full, and yet my stomach is still grumbling. I loved the atmosphere, and the wait staff were kind.
Esme J — Google review
Hallesches Haus is one of my favorite places in Berlin. My colleagues and I go there for lunch quite often. Great food, amazing ambience. One small complaint I've about this place is a bit of mismanagement during lunch time. They're super busy. Therfore, they miss orders. The food is served very late too. But food is simply the best.
Asha G — Google review
The bacon was cooked to perfection but I think the leaves in the toast had a very strong flavor for my liking, I would have liked it better without them. The waffle is ok, but too many sweet components and it’s too sweet to eat it all.
Ana L — Google review
I love Hallesches Haus. I should go there more often, especially during the week when it’s a bit quieter and you don’t have to stress about people lining up to be seated. The atmosphere is very inspiring, a lot of long tables to cowork or do group gatherings or small tables for more intimate settings. The menu often changes but they are always able to reinvent breakfast dishes and keep them interesting. I don’t always understand the mix of ingredients on the menu but I know it will taste amazing- and always does! The staff is friendly! And when you are done eating, you HAVE TO visit the store. There is nothing I wouldn’t buy, and they sell amazing coffee beans too!

Sotto is a cozy and casual eatery located in Berlin, offering a variety of creative vegan and vegetarian pizzas, as well as an assortment of wines and desserts. The restaurant is known for its popular Porkkala Vegane pie featuring cured smoky carrot slices, spinach, pesto, and almond cream cheese sauce. In addition to their delicious pizzas served throughout the week, Sotto also offers Italian dishes and homemade pasta on select days.
THE BEST VEGAN ITALIAN RESTAURANT in Berlin!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We had such good gnocchis and parpadelle - the the starters were off the roof - but the tiramisu was 🤯🤯🤯🤯🙌🙌🙌🙌 Wow Wow Wow Hardcore vegan friendly (veggi / vegan restaurant) recommendation!!! 🌱 🌱 🌱
Marc Z — Google review
Decent food. For Berlin average and I feel like that kind of goes now. Pizza dough was nice but the margarita looked more like marinara and had no cheese, no basil and the tomato sauce was quite bland. The patate pizza was better but the potatoes were too thick and the olives were quite cheap quality. Nice location, always full so book in advance.

Great vegan options! Delicious food. Would not recommend the gluten-free dough. Go for the regular if possible. 🙏🏼 🍕

I have been here a couple of times already and always good. Last time I finally tried something else then pizza. I had some truffle gnocchi with legumes. Really delicious. As a starter we shared asparagus carpaccio which was lovely too. If you don’t have a reservation this place is usually a hit of a struggle but totally worth it. Unfortunately not fully vegan but mostly!

Absolutely love the all-vegetarian menu with creative meat replacements, like smoked carrot instead of sausage. Finally I enjoyed a Diavola without meat :-) Awesome team there, and card payment is possible! BUT: Booking a table is recommended, because this place is wanted by many!
Jana F — Google review
Delicious gluten-free pizza! I was excited to try this place and it didn’t disappoint. I was very happy with my choice, the lemon oil and the different cheeses went together perfectly. The dough was also very tasty, though it is quite crunchy so it is a bit challenging to cut through. Also, the service is very friendly, we didn’t make a reservation and were lucky enough to get a table for the perfect amount of time. Will definitely be back for more.
Kyra F — Google review
Nice place with a relaxed vibe. The pizzas were really good, just the right seasoning & crispy yet well done crust. Really good quality of ingredients too! Its a small but busy place with outdoor seating as well. Definitely recommend it for the variety of vegan options they have. All in all, a good find.

best brunch place in Neukölln - they have a really creative menu that changes with the seasons. their dishes are all delicious and you can't go wrong with anything on the menu!
Probably the most satisfying dinner in Berlin. All the plates we tasted were so good. As a vegetarian I could choose different plates. Aubergine hummus with pickled vegetables was the right starter, light but tasty. Fennel with pickled apricot, mint, toasted almond and parmesab was very fresh, so well balanced and tasty too. Probably my favourite plate. I took also the potatoes with miso mayo for sharong,so good top. Well cooked, crispy potatoes, really good. The others took the duck with blueberry sauce and the turbot with asparagus. Both of them perfectly cooked and delicate. We share a basque cheesecake with carrot compote.I never have tasted it before, I love the texture and, of course, the taste. It is clear that there is a study behind this plates, bacause in my opinion the strong point was the combination between different ingredients that make every plate well balanced. Of course the service was perfect, very kind, gentle and fast. Really recommended. Absolutely!
Andrea P — Google review
A beautiful venue with a warm, inviting atmosphere, Sorrel offers produce-forward, seasonal cooking that really delivers. The fennel dish was the standout – a perfect balance of textures and flavours. The anchovies and lardo were also excellent, while both the turbot and duck were solid, well-executed dishes. The celeriac was our least favourite but still enjoyable. A surprise: the portion sizes are actually quite generous for a small plates concept – something to keep in mind! The only small letdown was the service – there were a fair few crumbs on the table when we sat down but apart from that an otherwise lovely experience.

Best prison food breakfast in town 🤗 a single egg, piece of bread, and some pieces of butter and cheese for 13€ 💞 all jokes aside… the place looks really cute, and the server was really nice. However, the food was very disappointing and the service was very slow. Hope to come here again in the future for something truly delicious and a great time.
Eden R — Google review
The food was good, but service was a bit slow. We asked for bread and butter when our dishes were served because we realised that there was no bread with one of the dishes. The bread came after we finished eating both dishes. A pity The service team overall seemed a bit chaotic and not organised.
Mariana T — Google review
This place is underrated! Each dish had its unique flavors as described on the menu. Nice place and attentive staff and if you really want a great meal go there… I unfortunately ate at higher rated places and so disappointed but very happy to go to Sorrel and have a tasty meal. The cheesecake that is made in house was absolutely delicious and quite a large slice. Thanks Sorrel for making great food for everyone to enjoy.

Exquisite, the food was far above what I was expecting. Highlight, for me, was the Ricotta Gnudi, but everything I had - from the burrata to the fennel salad as well as the potatoes, were wonderful.

Super tasty food. Ordered the fennel salad which was incredible and the basque tart. It was good but have had better ones. Prices are high? Similar to other places of this kind.

My sister and I had a gorgeous brunch here today. We shared three plates and had some coffees and were totally satisfied and both the servers were super nice and helpful. We were so happy with our choices (the roast potatoes with miso mayo, the eggs & labneh toast and holy MOLY the peach brioche 😍). Perfect meal, I'll be back soon for sure. Beautiful space too.

Nestled in the heart of Berlin, Plant Base is a delightful haven for those seeking a vegan-friendly experience. This cozy spot serves up an array of light bites, including scrumptious espresso and mouthwatering vegan bagels that make for the perfect hangout. If you're planning a work lunch party, don't miss out on their delectable vegan cakes—think creamy cheesefakes and rich no-bake tarts—that are sure to impress even the most skeptical colleagues.
The atmosphere is amazing, the food and drinks are incredible and the staff are lovely! Well worth a visit if you're in Berlin. I loved the plants all around the shop. I've been vegan for a while but I've never had an 'egg' scramble that good!

Fully vegan restaurant with a small menu but lots of cakes and baked goods. Went here on a Saturday for brunch, unfortunately half of the menu wasn’t available anymore. The dishes we got were good but not outstanding. Other than that the baked goods are amazing!! And also loved the matcha and coffee. So I would rather come for a cake and coffee instead of a full meal.
Jacqueline Z — Google review
My vegan caprese croissant was out of this world, I never had a good experience eating vegan mozzarella but this one was simply amazing. Their rose cardamom latte was also delicious. I didn’t find the prices to be too excessive given the quality and the location! Definitely would recommend it!
CDM — Google review
An absolutely wonderful vegan restaurant in Prenzlauer berg. The staff is very friendly and kind. The tofu scramble is a huge amount of food so be prepared to share it or bring some home. They have a lot of great events there around plant-based eating both classes and tips and cheese making. Not only a wonderful restaurant but a great community. Loved my visit there.
Lisa C — Google review
Amazing vegan cafe and restaurant in Berlin. My friend took me here for brunch and we over ordered to try everything we wanted. The porridge is amazing and super delicious, same goes for the tofu scramble and mixed platter. I would highly recommend this place to all vegans and non-vegans. :)
Rebecca B — Google review
100% vegan restaurant with many brunch options. I was happily surprised by the scrambled tofu that didn't look so great because of its simplicity but was actually very very nice! Halves cherry tomatoes on top would be a great addition. Another good point: they have decaf coffee!
Lorene F — Google review
Have visited this cafe many times, to sit in or take away. The quality is excellent, the taste is great. Is definitely one the best breakfast/brunch places in Berlin. Beside the food also great are the owners, ethical vegans with sensitivity for ALL and the community. They organise events to connect people and expand knowledge around vegan lifestyle, cooking and networking. FYI the chocolate tart is absolutely delicious.

Probably one of the best vegan breakfasts in the world. We had the plate for two which included many amazing dishes (the carrot smoked salmon was incredible), the egg salad bagle, and all three kinds of delicious croissants. Highly recommended!

Café Haferkater, Mauerpark is a popular spot in Berlin known for its healthy and diverse breakfast options. The café offers a variety of porridges, including vegan choices like apple and cinnamon or peanut and banana. Customers appreciate the generous portion sizes and the alternative to typical breakfast fare. The café's cozy atmosphere makes it a great place for coffee dates or getting work done.
Super cute cafe ☕️ The cappuccino was soo good! 💘 I loved the foam on the cappuccino so so much! I tried the „Naschkater“ with a lot of chocolate 🍫 was served warm and with bananas 🍌 absolutely 10/10! The atmosphere was a mix from people working and coffee dates so it was quite nice! The cafe was definitely laptop friendly 🫶🏼 Will definitely come back again! 💘

Came here with high expectations as i am a porridge lover! Nice staff, perfect cafe atmosphere. Good help from the staff as well. The porridge all together was too sweet for our liking, but it was to be expected as it was covered in syrup, sweet granola, fruit and dark chocolate. I think the options without chocolate are more balanced. Oatmeal is made with water, it had a consistency i have never seen before but maybe they cook porridge differently in Germany? Nothing special, but good on the go or if you crave something like this. Perfect portion size! And good americano. Clean bathroom with sanitary products free of charge.
Bianka — Google review
Vegan only We ordered one Ziegenkater Porridge and two Falafel Bowls. The porridge was okay, but not very filling, and I couldn’t tell if rolled oats were used. I ended up eating some of my sister’s leftover Falafel Bowl. In the bowl, only the oat-rice was served warm. My mum wanted her falafel heated as well, but the staff said they had no way to warm it up. As compensation, they offered us a carrot cake – which was delicious.
Sahar Z — Google review
Good for a quick breakfast stopp. The porridge was okay not great (not sweet enough and to much banana for a berry porridge).
Ulrike H — Google review
Great place for a nice healthy breakfast, I had the iced matcha latte and the Berry and banana porridge. I’ve asked to make a few changes to fit my diet, and the staff was super nice. They also have cakes, cookies, toasts and salads, all at a fair price for Berlin.

Love this place. Coffee & porridge are sooo good. Very reasonable prices. The staff are always busy but are very helpful & friendly. I could eat here every day.

Great breakfast location. Really good value and a lots of fresh fruit.
Shane — Google review
I’m not commenting on the food or bread, which actually looked very delicious, but unfortunately the coffee was disappointing. I ordered a large cappuccino, which wasn’t served in the usual large cup—though that’s not the main issue. The problem was simply that it didn’t taste good. I also got an espresso for my partner, and he agreed that his coffee wasn’t any better.

When it comes to vegan and vegetarian restaurants, Holy Flat is a hard act to follow. With its unique stag mural and four bowls with a salad base, the restaurant has something for everyone. The bowls are filled with delicious ingredients, such as red cabbage and marinated tofu, roasted mushrooms and Thai style carrots and cucumbers. If you're more into wraps and bowls, be sure to check out the menu card at Holy Flat.
Everything here is wonderful! The decoration is charming, food so fresh, delicious and healthy, the prices are adequate to quality, good localization, very friendly and helpful stuff, best bowl and hummus in my life resulted in a review of my private ranking of Berlin's best restaurants! Clear recommendation😊
Ania P — Google review
We visited this bowl place with high hopes. The bowl we tried was decent, not the best but certainly enjoyable. What truly stood out was the ambiance, especially the creative use of plants – it added a refreshing touch to the dining experience. However, our overall experience took a downturn when I used the restroom. The unpleasant odor was overwhelming, almost making me sick. It's unfortunate, as that one aspect significantly impacted our overall impression of the place.

Has to be one of the best vegan meals I've ever had. Sooo gorgeous. Went for my birthday on the 18th of Nov and it was such a good choice, made my day extra wonderful. Had the Mexican bowl and couldn't fault it. The waitress was lovely and there was an English menu. My friend, who isn't vegan, said I was also one of the best vegan meals he's ever had. He had the one with tofu and I agreed it was amazing when I tried a bit. 10/10 for both of us. And the restaurant itself was nice. 100% recommend that all people, vegan or not, try it out.
Zoe W — Google review
The service was exceptionally warm and friendly - I think one of the most genuine and welcoming smiles I've ever see in a restaurant. I appreciate it! I had the super tasty Fiesta bowl, with guacamole, corn, black beans, nachos. The sourdough bread that came with it was not the best. Outside seating was simple, clean and lovely. I'll be back for more bowls!
Quynh T — Google review
I was very happy eating the Coco Bowl for 8,60€. It had nice fresh organic ingredients, including a nicely spiced marinated tofu, vegetables, red cabbage, rice, peanut dressing and some homemade flatbread. Service was friendly and quick.
Jana F — Google review
delicious viva bowl, but adding a little sourish taste like lemon/vinegar would make it even more delicious I think 👌🏽 Servers are kind, the service is fast. Definitely will go again😍
Serena — Google review
They have a really nice variety of healthy bowls. My all time favorite is their Coco bowl, and it's really tasty. I would definitely recommend them on any given day. If you are looking for something fulfilling but with not a lot of calories, just blindly go here. I would also recommend trying out their lentil soup, which comes on the sides. So far I have tried their both locations, one in Kreuzberg and other in Prenzlauerberg. And they both are equally good.

Nestled in the enchanting Nikolai Quarter, a charming coffee shop awaits you with its inviting outdoor patio. This casual eatery serves up hearty German classics alongside delightful desserts, all complemented by an array of coffee and beer options. The Nikolai Quarter itself is a treasure trove of history, featuring narrow cobblestone streets lined with quaint buildings that echo Berlin's past. As you wander through this pedestrian-friendly area, you'll encounter fascinating attractions like the historic St.
Perfect experience at this gorgeous cafe/restaurant. We sat outside on a sunny day. Service was immaculate, coffee was made to perfection, the cheesecake was delicious and the meals were hearty. Highly recommend, will certainly visit again.
Jacob N — Google review
I stumbled upon the place while walking through the city. For context, I do not speak German but I've worked in hospitality for over a decade. They are understaffed and the one server was clearly overwhelmed and newer. I had just ordered a glass of white wine and a bratwurst. When it came to the bill, they were basically arguing with me about payment and items. This only occurred because the other server who wasn't serving me was helping close the bill. In the end I paid cash, they have something on their menu about how they only take German credit card. No problem with that, I did read that before I sat down and ordered. I get people get frustrated and overwhelmed but I had actually just wanted another drink (just a glass) not my bill. And again the original server placed the wrong thing on my bill and then tried to charge me for it. I know I saw a male manager walking around to the other groups. Please help and train your team better.
Alexandra W — Google review
Picked this restaurant because it looked nice and the menu sounded good. Should have checked the reviews before ordering… big mistake! Had the worst schnitzel I’ve ever tasted in my three decades of travel in Germany and Austria. Breading was greasy, and the meat was very tough. I complained to the server, who was very nice and apologetic, but only offered a free dessert as compensation. I expected the chef to come to the table to ask why I hardly touched my meal, but judging from the other reviews here the owners of this restaurant don’t place a high value on customer satisfaction. For the prices charged, customers deserve much better.
Mike R — Google review
I was attracted to this restaurant by how beautiful the exterior was, looked really traditional. It’s a beautiful cozy restaurant, seemed pretty old like it had been passed down from generations. I loved it. In my opinion I doubt the menu is extensive. Well I came here for breakfast. I had English breakfast in my opinion it looked great but I don’t think it’s nice to serve baked beans and bread together close to each other on the same plate. It makes everything messy. For the same price, I’ve gotten larger English breakfast spreads. The coffee was cool. Card payment is allowed so that’s a good thing. I dislike pickles 🤭😬😣

The Congolese waitress was very nice. We enjoyed the chatting and sharing our cultural differences!
HOA N — Google review
Please avoid supporting this place. The Coffee shop seemed really cute and atmospheric, so we stopped for a breakfast around 11 AM. There were not many customers around, so we thought the service would be faster than the other reviews said, but we still had to wait for over an hour for two breakfasts. The coffee came fast, but we finished it long before the breakfast ever arrived. They didn't let us pay for the drinks when we got tired of waiting around the 1,5 hour. Eventually we got our breakfasts, and thanks to the friendly Congolese waitress, we were compensated with new coffees for free. The problems in this establishment seem to be completely on the manager's part, since the waitress was working alone at peak hours. Thankfully the monstrous owner wasn't around this time. With zero ill will towards the employees, especially the wonderful Congolese waitress, I hope this place goes under.
Maiju N — Google review
We went there to have lunch. There must have been 20 people in total in the restaurant. We waited 15 mins the menus that never came, we borrowed it from the table next to us. The staff was composed of: 1 old man always sighing and grouching against his 2 junior waiters (1 young boy and 1 young girl who sighed as well when the old man asked her to take our orders). We ordered very simple dishes: scrambled eggs and currywurst: 35 minutes to get served. The restaurant could be lovely with a bit of refreshing but seems simply old, like this. The meals were fine though, a pity the service and atmosphere are as poor as this.
Julien P — Google review
Loved this hidden treasure. We just had cake and beer. The cafe is like a traditional dining room in a house. Owner was exceptionally polite and helpful. Cake was great and well priced. Pleased we stumbled across it just as the heavens opened. It's situated in amongst traditional little shops, cafes and eateries and well worth a visit.
