Konditorei & Café Buchwald is a charming spot known for its traditional Baumkuchen pastries and delightful desserts. This classic German café is a favorite among locals for indulging in kaffee und kuchen, the beloved afternoon tradition of coffee and sweets. Established over 160 years ago, this konditorei takes pride in its specialty cake, the Tree Cake, which is baked using a secret recipe passed down through generations.
I went for a walk and I randomly found this little lovely old cafe. I am soooo happy about it! The waiter was very gentle and he kindly explained me something about the story of the place. Almost 170 years of passion and family secret recipes 🥰 accordingly to the traditional cousine of Germany I can affirm that the cake was super good. I’ll be back to try the chocolate mousse cake 🍰😊😊😊
Aurora M — Google review
The cakes are awesome - Coffee moderate- but the only issue for me as a English speaker was there was a lady who were not very nice to me and I couldn’t understand her bc I am not fluent in German. Even I was trying to talk with my limited German knowledge to her but she was not very happy with that! but then there was a gentleman (the male staff) who gave us a great service :) Generally you should try once!

An incredible Konditorei with an incredible array of cakes, all made in store. Baum Kuchen was crazy good, incredible layering and textures. One to visit if you’re in Tiergarten/Charlottenburg Area. Double espresso had some real flavour to it
Phottos P — Google review
Very yummy cakes. Not too sweet and light. We were the only tourists there. Seems like this is a cafe loved by locals. One note: There were lots of wasps/bees in the display case with the cakes, but it doesn't look like any of the locals cared.
Kyra L — Google review
I visited this oldest bakery in the Berlin. Good food, good atmosphere.
Aakash S — Google review
Cozy place with great choice of desserts. The service was friendly and Black Forest cake was truly great
Dora — Google review
Very delicious cakes. The Konditorei has made a name for its Baumkuchen, so definitely worth a try. The interior design is very warm and welcoming, feels like sitting in your grandma’s living room. The place gets very crowded though, you may need to have some patience to get seated.

I went out of my way to have afternoon cafe and kuchen here, and was not disappointed—probably the best piece of cake I've ever had! The cafe is simple and authentic, a nice patio in a beautiful neighbourhood.

Five Elephant Mitte is a trendy cafe located on a leafy street near Gorlitzer Park in the Kreuzkolln neighborhood of Berlin. It is known for pioneering the third-wave coffee trend in the city and offers some of the best coffee experiences. The cafe features vintage maps showcasing the journey of their coffee beans from countries like Brazil, Ethiopia, El Salvador, and Colombia.
I came here on my first visit to Berlin, and was so excited to return again this last time. Their coffee is spectacular, the service is always upbeat and friendly, and this time I tried one of their mini cheesecakes and oh… my… word. The narrow cafe layout could be a little claustrophobic, but if you’re lucky to get a seat by the window to people watch, or outside on a nice day, it’s great to enjoy your coffee there. They also have coffee beans for sale, which I highly recommend.
Felipe L — Google review
Super vibey coffee shop! Really good in house selection. No pour overs but the batch brew was excellent. The Kenyan was super clean and tasty. Also ordered their cheesecake and banana bread. Super tasty without being overly sweet. Jose the barista was friendly and helpful. Service quick.
Brandon Y — Google review
A great spot if you're looking for a quick, no-fuss coffee to go. The space is quite small with very limited seating, so it's not the place to sit and relax for a while. The cakes, however, are absolutely amazing and definitely the highlight here—they're worth the visit alone. The coffee itself was a bit too bitter for my taste, but it gets the job done if you're in a hurry.
Ana C — Google review
I enjoyed the vibe in this coffee shop. And the staff here is very friendly and nice. Coffee is also great, but the pastry I would say is overpriced. pain au chocolat costs around 4 euros each…… totally out of my surprise
Jean H — Google review
The best place to drink coffee in Berlin. The quality of the coffee is outstanding, and the staff are not only friendly but also incredibly efficient. Make sure to try the cheesecake — it’s absolutely delicious!

Great selection of beans for purchase and the coffee is great! Don’t forget to the the chocolate cookies, it is one of the best around the area. Better than many cookie chop.

The Greens - Coffee & Plants is a charming spot in Berlin that offers a unique experience for coffee lovers and plant enthusiasts alike. Nestled within the bustling Alexanderplatz, this rustic-chic cafe doubles as a botanic sanctuary, with an abundance of greenery adorning its interior. The cafe takes pride in serving specialty coffee from a renowned local roastery, ensuring top-notch quality and regularly changing their filter coffee roasts to provide diverse tasting experiences.
such a cute place hidden in berlin!!! The atmosphere is everything and the plants make it look so calm. The building itself is also beautiful inside out. Ordered an iced coffee and vegan chocolate cake, both of which were amazing. So glad we found this place during our stay!!
Diamond S — Google review
Incredible place in the center of Berlin! Just a few steps away from Alexander Platz you can find yourself away from touristic hustle and bustle and enter Berlin hipsterish vibe. It's truly difficult to grab a table, first come, first served but with a little bit of patience you can be happily chatting with your friend over a plate of delicious cake and tasty coffee :) Otherwise, you can order for take away and sit outside. Highly recommended!
Adrianagaintravelling — Google review
Absoloutely fantastic little café! The staff are all so friendly and were wonderful to chat to. The pancakes were the highlight of my day. I cannot recommend this place enough.
Leyonie F — Google review
Food was absolutely delicous!! I had the cinnamon roll and the cheese sandwich, loved both :) You could get free unlimitet water, which is pretty rare in Germany!! The place looked amazing with all of the plants. It was pretty full in the main room of the cafe when we were the (around 1 pm on Saturday), but they had a second room (which looked more like a hallway to be honest) that was completly emphty. The hallway with the tables wasn't filled with plants, what broke the atmosphere a bit. We had luck and later on got a table in the main room, so we had a great experience :) But don't expect to buy any plants there, because the prices are way to high 🥲🌱
Lou C — Google review
A wonderful cafe tucked away in the old town which is quite unique. It serves coffee and cake and also sells luscious green house plants too. I opted for a cappuccino and a rhubarb scone. Both were delicious and the lady serving was very friendly and helpful too. An oasis of calm.
Moxsblag — Google review
Coffee was great, the bowl and the tofu sandwich were so tasty I wanted another one. The cherry pie was delicious and homemade for sure. Plants create a truly aesthetically pleasing experience but some of them weren’t well taken care of. Overall we recommend. Have to add some of the tables are next to the cashier and in peak hours it’ll be uncomfortable.
Desislava F — Google review
I enjoyed my experience at this lovely and cozy place. It feels so warm and special. There are beautiful outdoor and indoor seating areas. The staff is young and hospitable. The coffee was so good. I ordered the coffee of the day and a latte with coconut milk. They sell plants and offer complimentary water.
Abdullah A — Google review
They changed location and vibe completely. I've been here 2 years ago. It was this cozy, berlin-vibe coffee place, lots of wood and plants. Now it's just a tourist trap with no love and no system: in the front there's a sign that you should wait till you get seated. Meanwhile multiple people passed us and took seats that could have been ours. After waiting for 10min in the door I just went up to the service and interrupted them chatting, just to get the answer: "It's quite busy at the moment... maybe you just order, but then you have to wait a bit. Search yourself a seat...". So what is it, will I be seated? Or will you take down the sign? Messy and impersonal. I can't recommend.

House of Small Wonder is a trendy spot in the heart of Berlin, known for its Japanese-inspired brunch and pastries. The stylish and airy setting features reclaimed wood and house plants, creating a seriously Instagrammable atmosphere. This renowned restaurant has gained popularity since 2015 with its subtle Japanese twist on brunch items, such as wasabi-infused Hollandaise on their version of eggs Benedict.
House of Small Wonder is a charming and beautifully designed restaurant. On a nice day, the outdoor seating is a must — it’s spacious, comfortable, and partially shaded with an overhead canopy if the sun gets too intense. The menu offers a thoughtful variety of sweet and savory dishes, many with Asian-inspired flavors and ingredients. We tried the avocado toast, which was elevated with hints of sesame oil and a sprinkle of seaweed — a creative twist that added great texture and familiar, comforting flavors. The Cobb salad was equally impressive, packed with fresh, vibrant ingredients. The staff were lovely and attentive, adding to the relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. A wonderful spot for a leisurely brunch or a peaceful meal in the city.
Jessica M — Google review
One of Berlin’s hidden gems. The restaurant has an absolutely stunning backyard. It’s possible to find a cozy table on Sundays, but it’s better to book in advance. The hospitality is fast and very friendly. The food is interesting and, I would say, unique — somewhere between Japanese and American cuisine. Even if you order just desserts, they are nice and delicious. The main dishes are good too. I’ve already visited this place twice. I will definitely bring my friends here to show it to them.
Dmitry P — Google review
Unusual Japanese restaurant set inside an old school. Food was so good! They had a copy of their recipe book for perusal, and I enjoyed flicking through it between courses. (Did I mention that I'm a chef?) I'm in Berlin rather a lot and I will definitely be back here.
Maeve N — Google review
One of the best places I've been in Berlin. If usually we eat VERY well in this city, House of Small Wonder was still one of my favorites. The beverages and food are high quality, and very tasty. As usual, there are great choices for vegetarians and vegans, and I would definitely recommend the Vegan Soboro. It was such a pleasure to eat in a beautiful garden under the sunlight. Honestly a great experience, with correct prices.
Mélanie F — Google review
Not sure why the reviews seem so low. We’re here quite often and each time the food has been great. Portion size is quite good, quality is great and service even better. I definitely wouldn’t want the quality to go down just to appease price.. The environment is cozy outside and inside. I love the quirkiness and subtly. Obviously- we’ll be back.
Vcj H — Google review
It was really packed for a Saturday, but we still got a table. The food was amazing not a huge vegetarian option, but you can ask to remove the meat from the dish. I really love the place. The atmosphere was calm. I will recommend.
Vaish T — Google review
Still trying to figure out the name! The place is huge for its name, the quantities were decent and the prices definitely not small😅 We were here for brunch, all the dishes were quite delicious. Note: They started taking reservations on the phone now Outdoor seating is tough with all the wasps around

Princess Cheesecake, located at Tucholskystrasse 37, is a popular spot known for its decadent cheesecakes. The cafe offers delightful cakes that can also be taken away, making them a great option for dinner invitations. Their cute boxes contain tasty vegan cakes and the crowd-favorite Katharinchen, a cream and crumble cake with chocolate.
Fantastic cheesecake—honestly, they all looked amazing. The one I tried was delicious, and the quality-to-price ratio was more than fair. The atmosphere is charming and elegant, set in one of my favorite areas of Berlin. I definitely recommend trying as many cheesecakes as you can—they're worth it!

A lovely cafe selling elegant cakes with delicate flavours. I tried the poppyseed cheesecake which seems popular and it was truly lovely. It is based on German cheesecake. There are also other desserts - worth coming back several times to try them.

I recently visited Princess Cheesecake and was absolutely delighted! The variety of cheesecakes on offer is impressive, and each one is crafted to perfection. I tried the I love New York cheesecake and it was creamy, rich, and had the perfect balance of sweetness. The ambiance is cozy and inviting, and the staff are friendly and attentive. If you love cheesecake, this place is a must-visit. Highly recommended!

Absolutely loved this bakery! Their New York and German-style cheesecakes are top-notch with a very fancy selection to choose from. Though they were a bit pricey, the quality and taste are unbeatable, making it worth every penny. Treat yourself to something fancy and delicious here.

Chai latte was below average BUT THIS CHEESECAKE WAS THE BEST I HAD IN BERLIN SO FAR
Maryam H — Google review
Expensive, 5 Euros for a mini cheesecake. Loved the beet root vegan cheesecake. The normal nonvegan chocolate cheesecake was okay. It didn’t melt in your mouth nor did it taste extraordinary. But the vegan beetroot was very good. Smooth texture, good flavor and good balance between sweet and tangy. I’m usually not a fan of beet root but this flavor was great! Wouldn’t come back to this bakery since it didn’t wow me but if I did, I would def get the beet root flavor again or try another one of their vegan flavors. Just wished they sold this in a bigger slice. Bathroom was clean, service was professional & polite, nice clean interior with seats. They don’t have take-out boxes though. They just wrap your cheesecake in paper which I was not a fan of since the cheesecake can potentially get squashed if you put it in your bag…

Barcomi’s Café & Kaffeerösterei, located in a charming courtyard in Mitte, is a popular spot owned by Cynthia Barcomi, originally from Seattle. The café offers American-style coffee, freshly roasted on-site, along with an array of herbal teas. Indulge in their decadent breakfast options like bagels with lox and some of the city's finest cheesecake.
Beautiful cakes and cookies, and also bagels. More vegan options would be great, especially for the spreads, but also some of the classic cakes. Really friendly service. Sometimes it gets a bit crowded. Barcomi's was never cheap, which is ok for the quality... However, gentrification and tourists have influenced the prices over the past years, which are a bit over the top. Still, if you want to treat yourself to a fantastic cake, this is the best place.
Sharron S — Google review
We ordered chocolate brownie cake, but seems to be very hard and dry. Too little cream in the middle, dry cake and overall hard. This is the second instance with a dry cake with little filling. I ordered the cake with rainbow sprinkles, and unfortunately for both, the price is NOT WORTH IT. I give 2 stars because they don’t add Gelatine and is vegan.
Nana — Google review
I recently tried a red velvet cake & a vanilla cake and was thoroughly impressed. Both cakes were moist and had a perfect balance of all ingredients. The cream frosting was smooth and tangy, adding just the right amount of sweetness. Visually stunning with its deep red color, this cake was a delightful treat from start to finish. Highly recommended!

I needed a last minute birthday cake to be delivered and Barcomi’s came to the rescue! Making arrangements from Australia via email was really easy, the staff replied promptly and let me know which cakes could be delivered the following day. A wonderful strawberry and vanilla cream sponge cake was delivered in time to make the birthday girl feel really special. The card and candle were great and the cake looked and tasted beautiful. Would highly recommend!
Leigh — Google review
I ordered their marble cheesecake and was shocked to see that they sent me a stale slice. You can see the stringy stale lines in the picture. I've eaten from Barcomi's in the past and it's been good but this was shocking. Upset my stomach and my mood.
Cheryl J — Google review
I was sent a birthday cake from this shop, but unfortunately I wasn’t home for the delivery. I thought that was the end of it — but wow, was I wrong! The team went above and beyond to make sure I didn’t miss out. We arranged a new delivery three days later and even baked me a fresh cake so I could enjoy it at its best. Special shoutout to Marcel, who was unbelievably helpful (even on his days off!) and kept everything running smoothly. Thanks to his effort and the shop’s kindness, the cake finally arrived — and it was absolutely worth the wait. Fresh, delicious, and beautifully made.

Café Einstein Stammhaus is a chic Viennese-style coffeehouse located in a Neo-Renaissance villa in the tony Tiergarten neighborhood of Berlin. The elegant establishment, once a Weimar gambling den, is now renowned for its fresh pastries, cakes, and high-end Kaffee und Kuchen.
I had breakfast there two times in my 4 days stay in Berlin. The place has a traditional old time up market flairs. Leather boots, wooden small chairs and newspapers. Breakfast was great. We ordered the big set and shared. Coffee was great. My cappuccino came with latte art and not at all too milky, served with a small glass of water. What I like the most is their breads, quite a variety which are freshly baked in house downstairs. Service’s very professional, formal but reaches down to customers. I would reserve the table before I go next time. Price wise, not the cheapest but I think it’s definitely worth it.

Super cool, building/house and the host was great. The servers are like a bit too European and attend to you when they are ready. Yeah they are busy on a Saturday afternoon but could at least acknowledge you when you have a need. Their colleagues don't acknowledge you if not their table and if luckily one stops they say, "Sorry you'll have to ask your server" and off they go. Strudel was tasty with but mixture and the Assam tea was quite nice

A good place for afternoon tea. The apple strudel is great and is recognized as the best in the cafe, but the other torte is disappointing. The peach cake is not special at all and not worthy.

Lunch is in the more formal "library" area while cakes and brunch is in the non table cloth brighter area. Nice selection of German food. Can be a bit pricey considering there are some good German restaurants around serving food that is just as delicious but I think it's still one of those places to be when you are a tourist. I didn't have any cakes but from what I did see, they're aren't better than most of the places that sell cakes in Berlin.
Ch W — Google review
Eggs Benedict was pretty good. The omlette rather mediocre. Service was slow. Sad to see this restaurant with so much character and charm being so poorly maintained. A renovation is past due. It has lost most of the beauty and charm it once radiated.

Unexpectedly large space, can accommodate groups that came in for lunch. Back garden is lovely to sit in. On the expensive side but good service and a nice, quiet and relaxed atmosphere. It definitely feels European, and it’s easy to see why lots of tourists find their way here.
Leigh C — Google review
Had an excellent breakfast here in their lovely garden. There was a wide selection available on the menu, including a number of typical German dishes and the staff were friendly and efficient. The food and drink was very good and reasonably priced for the quality. Well worth a visit.

One of the mosr classy brunch and coffee options in the city I’d say. Feels like a time travel in way, but a good one. The breakfast is great to share and you can have long, cosy and very authentic West-Berlin times there. Important to mention though: comes with high than normal price tag, but worth it ;)

Distrikt Coffee is a trendy and stylish cafe located in Bergstrasse 68, Mitte. The industrial-chic space is filled with plants and features raw brick walls, wooden and black steel tables, and comfortable leather couches. This speciality coffee shop takes pride in using high-quality locally and internationally roasted beans to create delicious single origin coffee.
I had a brunch at Distrikt, which was a bit on the pricey side, but the food and the hot drinks were good and filling (I had an avocado on toast with two extra eggs). The cafe itself is relaxed and cosy and is in close proximity to the Berlin Wall Memorial. The team was also very friendly, accommodating and welcoming.
Iryna S — Google review
Solid spot for breakfast/brunch, has their latte and avocado toast. Probably one of the most flavorful avocado toasts I’ve had, would highly recommend! Coffee shop itself is pretty spacious, good lighting and nice spot to work or hangout/chat.
Krishna K — Google review
I’ve been coming here for years, and it continues to be one of the most solid and consistently great brunch spots in Berlin. The staff is always friendly, the vibe relaxed, and while the menu evolves from time to time, the food has always been flavorful, well-presented, and on point. Whether you’re a regular or visiting for the first time – highly recommend.

Green bowl is EXCELLENT. got a rye cookie that was too sweet and grainy for my preference. Prices are a tad high but i enjoyed my meal

Be prepared to wait 20-25 mins to be seated. The cafe was crowded and popular. The staff will let you wait downstairs before you get the seat. The staff were very attentive and cheerful. And the vibe is nice and cafe is cozy. The chia pudding wad ok but nothing special. The French toast too.But the presentation looked nice. The hot chocolate is the normal watery one not the thick one (which you can always get in Poland).
Nomad W — Google review
Not every place is worth waiting in line for. But as someone who queued in the rain, I can say Distrikt is absolutely worth it. The chia pudding in particular, truly live up to the hype. Also the matcha was great just as its vibrant green color promised.

Distrikt is in a tight run for best breakfast place in BER, coffe is top notch and eating options are on par with Annelies. I would say if you are a third wave coffee lover this offers the best combo of coffee/bkfst eats. Bkfst Sandwich was Eggcellent, great bright an juicy filter coffee. Service is slow but super nice, but hat’s normal in Europe.

Hidden gem in one of Mitte‘s back roads, vibey yet cozy. I particularly enjoyed the chocolatey note in my latte macchiato as well as the super chilled server. Maybe not the best of the best, but certainly among my top10 cafes in Berlin ☕️

Father Carpenter is a standout café in Berlin's Mitte district, known for its exceptional coffee and inventive brunch offerings. Since 2015, this hip establishment has been serving delicious coffee and fantastic brunch dishes in an elegant courtyard just off Munzstrasse. The café's Australian owner has influenced its unique approach to coffee and dining. With table service available, guests can enjoy their meals either outside in the courtyard or inside the spacious dining room.
A unique coffee and breakfast restaurant. We came with the opening and get a table without waiting. The can get a paper menu or scan QR code. We ordered the shakshuka, avocado and yogurt. All was tasty and good. The service was fine. The toilet is outside the coffee. The price was ok. Overall recommend.

Wonderful place, the way there feels like you’re entering a hidden spot, but once inside it’s lively and full of people. We were lucky to find a table quickly and got served fast. The staff were super friendly and welcoming with smiles all around. Not the biggest fan of the coffee, but the food was a solid 8/10. Definitely a good spot for a nice weekend hangout.

One of the best — and always a favorite! This is my go-to breakfast spot whenever I’m in Berlin. The food and coffee are consistently excellent, and the atmosphere is wonderfully cozy and relaxed. I especially love the inner yard seating, but the inside of the café is just as charming. A truly lovely place to start the day.

Really nice place in a Berlin courtyard. We came on Saturday at about 11:30 and didn’t have to wait for a table. People who arrived 30 minutes later had to wait, so come between breakfast and lunch if you don’t want to wait. We ordered shakshuka and it was delicious. The coffee was also very good. The hospitality was absolutely kind and supportive. Prices were affordable. We definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants to feel the Berlin vibe.

Great staff, great coffee, great food. Overall great experience. It was a bit loud, but not a bad thing - it just seems like everyone was enjoying themselves! A great place for a proper Berlin brunch. Try the Barista Breakfast- a great way to sample several of their coffee offerings. The poached eggs on gluten free toast with avocado was so good, as was the vegan banana bread.

What a great little restaurant for breakfast! The poached eggs with avocado was divine!! The FC Benedict with pulled pork was also a favorite!! The hollandaise sauce was pretty good for a German :) - ie it was excellent !! We were so excited for the food.. we only got a picture of our cappuccino and the Barista Breakfast.

Travelled across the city to brunch here. Small but lovely menu (allergens clearly marked). Great vibe. Friendly staff. The gluten free bread is incredible (nearly sent it back as I thought it must be ‘normal’!). Would thoroughly recommend ♥️

We ordered waffles and the other salted breakfast with egg n avocado you can see in the pictures! The atmosphere is nice American style food too! In my opinion the price could be less compared with the size of portions ✨ but it’s delicious 😋

We tried the cinnamon rosemary pancakes for the first time — fluffy pancakes with cream cheese, rosemary, and maple-glazed apricots, topped with roasted almonds. Such a unique combination, and absolutely delicious! The atmosphere was warm and cozy, especially with the smell of freshly made chai latte in the air. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. A great spot for brunch in Berlin — highly recommended!

Generous portions and good looking and tasting plates. The pancakes are a must if you go there. Coffee also really good and the guys taking us were really nice as well. The only thing we didn’t like was the canele that tasted a little burned. Definitely a place to come back.

I had a fantastic experience at this café! The service was absolutely amazing—friendly, attentive, and made me feel right at home. Whether you're stopping in for a quick cup or a relaxed brunch, this place is a gem. Highly recommended!

The beef melt and the french toast were both finger-lickin' good. The portions are relatively small unfortunately which makes it quite pricey (14/15 € each dish) but still have to give 5 stars for the taste.

Great atmosphere and location thats for sure. Friendly staff and good coffee I can say. The only bad thing how expensive was “ the smash “, and it hit me later cause I was having a meeting with a friend, I paid 11 euros for a toasted bread with avocado and cheese?! It is my bad to not talked with them about it but I recommend them to add more things on the bread or change the price. Otherwise doesnt worth it.

You must stop by here while in Berlin! It’s already my favourite coffee shop! The Tunisian Latte is wonderful and their coffee is very rich and fruity. The staff are also very friendly and the vibes are so calming!
Laura C — Google review
Very excited by the written as well as the oral propaganda around Ben Rahim‘s outstanding coffee, I went there this morning and ordered an Iced Latte Macchiato. In contrast to most cafes, they served it with a frozen cube of espresso. The problem with that however is: It takes quite long (like 30-45min) to get to taste the espresso, bruh. Which kinda forces me to conclude that this is not a place for ice coffee lovers… Also, I was a bit disappointed by the almost non-existent vegan food options… Nonetheless, the very friendly service, the laid-back vibes and their embodiment of love for coffee make a visit worth it. Well, I‘m gonna come back, give them another chance, try one of their other (non-iced) creations and hopefully have a more satisfying experience and potentially adjust my review.

They have lactose free milk! It’s very hard for me for me to find places that don’t offer oat milk as an alternative. Actual milk makes the coffee ten times more enjoyable for me. This being said, the coffee was really good. However, there was a huge line and the baristas were rushing a bit with the preparation process. It was, nevertheless, still a very good cup of coffee.

Their creations are known for skillfully combining various textures and unexpected flavors to create a magnificent overall experience. The delicate tartlets, cupcakes, and tarts they offer not only look exquisite but also taste exceptional. In addition to their delectable pastries, Jubel also serves excellent coffee.
Jubel Coffee ☕ in Berlin is a hidden gem that my friends and I stumbled upon without a plan, and we’re so glad we did! The café is small but incredibly cozy, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The owner is absolutely lovely—so friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. Even though the space is limited, she went out of her way to help us find a seat, making us feel right at home. Disappointing experience. Overpriced cakes that are very small and super sweet. Presentation is appealing and the place is cozy, however, it’s a one time experience only. You can get good quality cakes for much less price. Coffee wasn’t good.
Maria M — Google review
The coffee is good 😊 Although the entremets are really beautiful and you can get in normal and small sizes I thought they are too subtle in taste. The cheesecake was not a baked one, which is not my favorite way of eating it. The flavor is too subtle. Maybe for people that don't like the strong acidity of the cream cheese it is a good choice. The dark chocolate one with red berries filling is confusing. While the dark chocolate outside is quite strong and crunchy the mousse inside is too blend or has too much cream, making the experience a bit disappointing.
Halina D — Google review
One of my favourite dessert places in Berlin. I normally take the fruity options which aren't too sweet and fill the moth with freshness. I love how they play around with recipes. My favourite so far has been the chou with mandarine cream and poppy seeds (hope I'm not confusing the ingredients!). The service is also super friendly and the coffee is really good as well.
InEnglish — Google review
Very pleasant experience. The signature goat cheese cake has a very complex taste. It fuses the fruity sweetness of fig and pomegranate with a faint smell of goat cheese, resulting in a controlled explosion of flavours upon the tongue. The second plate consists of a liquor-filled chocolate ball, a second ball filled with passion fruit and custard, and a small chocolate cake. I heard that the chef here used to work in a Michelin star restaurant, but the strongest impression the cakes left on me is a very refined and elegant female expression and sensitivity, something that I have so far not experienced in other French patisseries. There is something unique with the cakes here and the chef has her very distinctive style. I would definitely come back to try more next time. The only problem for me now is that I don’t know between Jubel and cafe komine which is my favourite cake shop in Berlin.
Koikoi O — Google review
Tasty cakes, beautiful presentation and balanced flavour. For someone who doesn't like cakes being too sweet, it's perfect. Bought 10 different one to try out, each of them is delicious in their own way. Definitely coming back for more. Recommend the Mango, Blueberry, Ananas and Olive. Update on Apr 11th: just came back there for more, they seem to have new cakes now. Bought another 8 again for a family tea party with my parents and the in-laws. Everyone loves them 🥰 this is my new favorite place now. Update on June 12th: bought 10 different cakes again. They got new flavors and all look good. I couldn't decide on which one to try and which not so, ended up buying 1 of each type 😅 Glad I did, yummy!!!

Café Anna Blume is a charming Berlin brunch spot located on Kollwitzstrasse, just a short walk from the planetarium and the WOW Gallery. This café is not only a restaurant but also has connections to a florist, with a beautiful terrace filled with flourishing greenery. The shaded patio is an ideal place to spend an afternoon in leafy Prenzlauer Berg.
On a Saturday market day, Anna Blume is the perfect place to people watch and enjoy a break. The cakes - in the French style - are vibrant and varied, and the dirty chai latte was reasonable. It’s a great corner spot and worth waiting 15 mins for a table at peak times. Service is very polite and friendly and with the road pedestrianised for the market at the weekend it feels like a bit of an oasis

€14 for a soft-boiled egg on a slice of bread. Are you kidding me? The lentil soup is supposed to come with bread and butter, but they don’t bring the butter. I have to go and ask for it, and the waitress says, "But there’s no butter." I show her the menu, and she looks at it in surprise. To be fair, the food is good, but the service is incredibly slow (after 35 minutes of waiting to order the desserts, we decided to leave), and the prices are outrageous.

Amazing location, especially beautiful in the spring and summer cause it has a spacious terrace under the trees. We went there for an anniversary breakfast yesterday (Sonntag). I was there with my friends before COVID and remembered the good food and beautiful scenery and wanted to show the place to my husband. Unfortunately… the food was such a disaster. We ordered the breakfast platters and all of the food /tapas were terrible quality. I really think lidl and Netto has better stuff. The fruit wasn’t fresh (browned apples), the egg omlet dry and cold. All of the tapas and spreads didn’t seem fresh or home-made. The bread was Lidl/Netto quality. The jam was from a jar, the salads were from that the dried out , ready-to eat-bag style, that is already discounted in a grocery shop because of the end date… We spent 50 euros for 2 people and got bad quality and sad food. But I have to say: the service, the surroundings and the ambiance was amazing. Coffee was good. Also I love the design of the platter. It used to be such a treat…
Alicja K — Google review
Food and coffee were delicious! Our food came very late but they were extremely apologetic and offered us a free drink as an apology so it was not an issue. I would definitely return!

Great service. Staff is really friendly :-) Great location Easy to park Prices are reasonable. The omelette was amazing. The cales were good. The cheese cake was like in NYC. My strong recommendations to anyone. They have a good selection of vegan dishes, but don't let that scare you. You can get a really wide selection of foods. Breakfast menu runs through the day ... which probably spells oodles about the many bars in the area. I will be back, for sure

The Barn Café is a renowned Berlin coffee shop with two locations, one in Prenzlauer Berg and the other in Berlin Mitte. It features a roastery and taste lab where visitors can enjoy freshly roasted coffee and indulge in Portuguese egg tarts. The café also took over the iconic Cafe Kranzler, maintaining its legacy since 1825.
Is this the best coffee in the world? Certainly not, especially since I’m not a big fan of freshly roasted beans for espresso. Yet they do work wonders for milk based drinks and most certainly for filter coffee that I tend to love. The coffee is made well here, the location is beautiful, it’s a great spot to stop over for coffee and sandwich whenever you are in Mitte.

Love this place—super cute and cozy, it reminds me of some of the cafes in Japan. The staff are so friendly and there’s a really cool, earthy vibe. It’s become one of my favourite coffee spots I found in Berlin! The matcha is incredible—made from a small pot and whisked right in front of you, which adds such a nice touch. Their coffee selection is great too, and the outdoor seating is a lovely bonus. Highly recommend!

very good oat milk cappuccino, but their product selection is so small I almost wanted to ask if that's truly all they've got. the cake was too dry and the sandwich soggy. and they don't have a restroom. if you offer eating in, you should definitively have one of those on site.

Loved this cafe! - friendly service - a perfect piccolo - smooth, rich and perfectly balanced. The cake was delicious and loved the board it was served on. A great place to chill and watch the world go by ☕️✨
Sarah A — Google review
I’ve given this place many chances over time, but unfortunately, the takeaway coffee is often poorly made — so be careful. When we’ve stayed to sit in, everything was fine. But recently, we grabbed coffee to go, and it was honestly undrinkable: the milk was scalding hot, no latte art whatsoever, and the taste was just bad. It feels like once you’re a takeaway customer, they stop caring — you came and went, so there’s no incentive to do better. Also, the tipping system where you’re expected to decide on a tip before even tasting your coffee is really off-putting. I tipped out of habit, but after getting the drink, I was left with a bitter aftertaste — and not just from the coffee.

I think The Barn is highly overrated, and after trying a few of its branches, it’s no longer a place I want to go to. The seating seems to be designed more for discomfort than comfort probably to make sure you drink your coffee quickly and don’t occupy the small shop for too long. I don’t like places like this because I want to sit and have a long chat with my friends over coffee. Another thing I dislike is that when you order a milk-based coffee, it’s served almost cold. Also, there’s no restroom available for customers. The staff are kind and try to do their job well. I wouldn’t call it a bad place, but I also don’t see anything worth praising.

Coffee store
Nestled in the heart of Prenzlauer Berg on Oderberger Strasse, Bonanza Coffee Heroes has been a staple in Berlin's coffee scene since 2006. Known for its site-roasted beans with a distinct fruity flavor, this cozy spot is revered by third-wave coffee enthusiasts. The intimate space offers an ideal setting to savor their renowned cortado and flat white, both infused with cherry notes.
Fantastic cappuccino – great taste, perfect consistency, and good latte art. The ambiance is lovely, with a nice outdoor seating area. The pastries looked amazing and super tempting. Specialty coffee done right! Will definitely come back. 5/5.
Dennis U — Google review
The flatwhite was tasty, right on point, the Colombian beans never dissappoint. And it was 4€, which is very reasonable for being in Berlin, although the cup was smaller than other shops. The atmosphere was nice and well ventilated (inside), as well as a nice outdoor seatings. It was crowded, and I had to wait for quite a bit, but there were still some seats left. I had to order a takeaway though since I was short on time. Staffs were efficient in handling the orders. They seemed a bit rushed and impatient in the services, but its totally understandable due to the ammount of orders they have to process. Overall good.
K. M — Google review
Coffee was good. I had a flat white. Also got a peanut butter cookie, which was delicious. There were a lot of people hanging around outside when I went (3pm on a Sunday) but not many people sitting inside. There was a queue to order. Staff seemed a little stressed and overwhelmed with how busy it was.

We stopped for coffee after strolling Mauerpark flee market, one of the best coffees we had in Berlin, nice service and lovely rustic atmosphere.

Bonanza! It’s a coffee shop near Mauerpark. Vibe is different, I would say - a very “berlinish” place. Different vibe but it suits a place very well. Interiors are not so glamorous, but shabby. There is some old smell like in a grandma’s apartment. Looks like there wasn’t a big investment in that place it all. It has a toilet which is small and clean. For some tourists it could be important and for locals as well. Besides that - it’s Bonanza. Great coffee and service as always.

Usually I always come for the cascara soda (which btw is such gift to us not being able to tolerate too much caffeine) anyhow this time around i decided to try the iced latte, and wow! Not the biggest coffee fan but it was so delicious 😋 also they have double shots in all their drinks?! Definitely worth it!!
Ebba M — Google review
Coffee is nice but the wait times are atrocious IMO (10+ minutes for one coffee). Maybe just on the weekends, I don't know.
Joseph D — Google review
I had an iced filter coffee and a peanut butter cookie. I thought the iced filter was nothing special, but you can’t expect too much from a filter. That said, I have had filter coffee at other venues where the bean selected had some really impressive flavour profiles. I thought the peanut butter cookie I had was quite good - it was moist and the peanut flavour was present. I liked the atmosphere outside, it was lively, with a bunch of people sitting around chatting. It was really nice on a sunny day.

ORA Restaurant & Wine Bar, located in a converted 19th-century apothecary in Kreuzberg, offers a unique dining experience. The beautifully preserved setting features original wood-and-glass apothecary shelves and antique medicine bottles, creating an atmospheric ambiance. The daily three- to four-course menu showcases inventive dishes using seasonal, sustainable ingredients such as veal tonnato and monkfish with sea urchin.
We went here as the final dinner of an extended weekend in Berlin and I could not have wished for a better experience. We were imediately greeted by the extremely friendly staff and were seated at our table, there is an incredible atmosphere and the theme of the old apothacary realy sets the mood for the evening. The food was simply amazing, the bbq pork in particular. The House cocktails are also very well made and taste great. 10/10 would recommend and visit again

This was a great way to celebrate a birthday. We took the tasting menu for 60€ - the highlight were the Caesar salad & its yummy dressing (look at that cheese on top 🤤), the gnocchis and the mousse au chocolat. The service was great, they delivered all the dishes at a good pace, enough for us to enjoy each course. The cute and original location (being an old pharmacy) was the cherry on top, making us forget about the loudness of the place. Some dishes felt like they could be a bit more sophisticated but overall really worth the price. Also, we had one apéritif drink each, but were hoping for something a bit more unique considering the ingredients mentioned. That being said, I'd definitely come back to taste other drinks and go through that tasting menu again.

Food is created as a perfect set of well balanced menu - just go for the full option and you won’t regret it! Wonderful German Chardonnay. Lovely service. But the just after the food (which is obviously super good and the most important) just make sure you pay attention to the interior… with booking a spot inside, to feel the vibe :) great place!

After dinner the other night, I came back because of the cocktail program. I was impressed during my first visit by the sophistication of classic cocktails such as dry martini or a Manhattan. On my second visit, I wanted to doublecheck that I wasn’t hallucinating. I had sensed correctly during my first visit, The cocktail program is superior. Erin, a Mixologist from Melbourne Australia, does a remarkable job, paying attention to details such as temperature of the glass, temperature of the drink, and sourcing superior ingredients. These were probably the best cocktails I had during my stay in Berlin. If you like great cocktails, beautiful surroundings, delicious snacks, and a super competent mixologist, visit ORA. I had a great time. Congratulations to Erin and the team.

I was here for a conference, and after searching online and reading some reviews, we came to this restaurant with colleagues. What can I say... a slightly retro atmosphere that immediately won me over (even more beautiful in person than in the photos), and everything, from the friendly welcome from all the staff to the food, which I found perfect—simple, international cuisine of very high quality—made me feel good all evening. I ordered a birthday cake from this shop. The three stars are for the nice communication, nice people and for the nice looks of the cake. The communication was smooth and the size of the cake was also satisfying (nevertheless we definitely will not finish it due to criticism below) I am posting the inside of my birthday cake and you can judge the quality yourself. Me and my guests just ate frozen butter cream it was very hard to spot a piece of cake inside. I ate tons of butter cream cakes till today but this one is the only one that had weird sponge to cream ratio. The sponge / cream ratio does not make it possible to eat more than 2 bites. I know it is normal that it freezes in cold and we take it out and wait so that it gets softer. But even then it was just too much cream. I feel like the result should have been with more quality given the price we paid for it. So sorry to the chef for the brutal honesty but I am being honest so you don’t do the mistake again. Please take this as a constructive criticism.

Beautiful desserts! Very delightful place especially on a cold rainy fall day in Berlin. The staff is welcoming and cheerful. The espresso is one of the best I have had in Berlin. The deserts are large which makes them great for sharing. The place is very popular at lunch time and it does accept reservations. There is also covered sidewalk dining with blankets to shield you from the cold.

BE CAREFUL WITH THE CHERRIES IN THE CAKES We always come here to get birthday cakes and this was the first time we sat at the cafe section to have coffee and cakes. Be careful if you order Chocolate Mousse cake with cherries. My husband almost broke his tooth because the seed was still in the cherry. When we told the waiter, he told us this is their concept for 14 years and the seeds stay in the cherries.

"An einem Sonntag im August" is a laid-back cafe and bar located on the famous Kastanienallee in Prenzlauer Berg. The cozy interior features Hollywood-style swing chairs, sofas, low tables, and a mirrored bar. The atmosphere is described as relaxed and informal with a touch of local authenticity. The place hosts music by DJs and offers various events for entertainment. It's known for its legendary, low-cost breakfast buffet and outside seating for warmer days.
I really like this place. The vibe is nice, pleasant, with this vintage and casual look. You can have coffee if you want, tea, beer, wine, cocktails, you name it! As for food, I once had a cake/pie and it was good. Service was also nice, I feel they are a bit understaffed sometimes (not a criticism, just an observation), nevertheless, everyone from the staff is nice and efficient. Perfect place to meet a friend, friends, date, or just have a date with yourself. Google says it accepts cards, but it was cash only last time I was there.

Du Bonheur is a charming café and French patisserie located near the Berlin Wall Monument. Founded by Anna Plagens and Stephan Zuber, it offers a delightful selection of delicate French pastries, sweet and savory treats, tarts, and custom-order cakes. The café's name perfectly captures the feeling of indulgence experienced when savoring their scrumptious creations.
I like that pastry shop so much. Amazing quality, great taste. If you want a real French flavour in Berlin - it’s a place to go! Be careful - it’s addictive. Great with coffee. My personal recommendation is a muss cake with roasted hazelnuts 🍰☕️🌰
Serge A — Google review
The desserts are really worth a try, but better for take away. The place is tiny and even if you find a spot, the crowds of people in line make it rather unpleasant to sit there. Especially considering the fact that most of the desserts are 6-8€, I’d expect a nicer setup. The service is rather slow and not particularly friendly. So spare yourself from unnecessary stress and if you decide to go, then just take out.

Du Bonheur is hands down my absolute favorite patisserie in Berlin! I get my birthday cake from them every single year — it’s become a tradition I truly look forward to. The quality, the taste, the presentation… everything is always perfection. I’ve also started ordering cakes for my friends’ birthdays, and they’re just as obsessed as I am now! Their creations aren’t just beautiful to look at — they’re full of flavor and made with so much care. Whether it’s a classic tart or one of their seasonal specialties, you can really taste the difference. The team is always kind and helpful, making the whole experience even more special. Ama Café is truly a delightful spot that exceeded my expectations! From the moment we arrived, the outdoor seating immediately caught my attention—it’s spacious, well-arranged, and creates a relaxed atmosphere, perfect for enjoying a quiet morning or catching up with friends. Stepping inside, the café’s interior design is equally impressive. It manages to be both modern and inviting, with a cozy warmth that makes you want to linger. The wall décor is thoughtfully done, adding personality without being overwhelming, and the music selection is just right—subtle, calming, and complementing the overall vibe. Service was exceptionally efficient. Our coffee was served promptly, which I truly appreciate, especially in a busy café. St. Oberholz is a two-story bar-restaurant housed in a 19th-century building at Rosenthaler Platz, Berlin. It's a popular spot known for its daily changing menu, snacks, and bagels. The cafe has evolved over the years and now includes multiple locations across the city. The main location offers great people-watching opportunities while sipping on coffee or enjoying snacks. With its central location near tram and subway stations, it's always bustling with activity.
As an American ex-pat, that it is generally frowned upon to take one's laptop out and start working at most cafes in Germany is refreshing and wonderful. And because of that, I am all the more grateful for St. Oberholz is here to be my my home away from home for getting work done in Berlin when I want to work around people. The atmosphere and energy of the people co-working is always interesting and conducive to work, the cafe has great coffee and food; wifi policy is sensible, signal is good, and I'm always impressed by how welcoming and nice the staff working there are, despite handling a lot of people and product in multi-story location. Thanks for being there for me!

The WORST matcha latte in my life!✨ (The pic is after I paid 70 cents for extra shot, so in total 5.7euro. Still only 10% matcha taste!) At first, it did not taste any close to matcha at all. It tasted like pure milk. And it's not my own opinion, I let my friends try mine before I tell them if I like ir and they also said it just has 0 taste of matcha. We went to the counter and asked them if they can add matcha, and she said I need to pay 70cents more and I did. It has more taste before, still I could feel it only when I really focus my whole energy on tongue. So we described like 10% matcha. We talked to them, and they said they have "good matcha" and it already has "75 gram". But what does 75 gram mean when anyway that 75 gram includes liquid? I saw they just mix liquid matcha and in this case, 75 gram does not mean anything when we don't know the mixture. Also they said "it's matter of taste". Wow! So I guess their matcha is only for people who love pure milk with 10% taste like matcha paying extra 70 cents. Most importantly, this is not about if it's a good quality of matcha, but about if it "taste like matcha" at all or not. It would be nice if everyone can consider that their matcha does not taste like matcha but only pure milk when they order matcha here :)

On asking why am i being served the coffee in a small cup when i did ask for a large cappuccino, very rudely the barista informed this is the right cup! Feels like day light robbery specially when you are paying 4,7€ for a cup of coffee and you are bot even getting the right size!

This is one of my happy places in Berlin. Every time I come here, I enjoy the coffee, the food, and the beautiful street view, people passing by, a calm yet lively atmosphere. Despite being on a half-busy street, it feels peaceful and minimalistic, with a great creative vibe. Their ciabatta sandwiches are super crusty and delicious, and the baristas are kind, smiling, and genuinely good people. Coffee competition in Berlin is fierce, but this place stands out with its energy and authenticity.

I like the place, love the concept and I’m certain I will visit again. I also think it’s fair to buy a new drink every 90min. However, drinks are super expensive and take forever to be made. WiFi sometimes cuts out or is too slow for meetings. Staff are nice, just service feels unnecessarily slow sometimes. Food isn’t really great most of the time unfortunately, some dried out croissants or a sandwich, cookies. If you’re lucky and they just got fresh ones, then it’s nice.

We visited Café am Engelbecken on a crisp, sunny morning, and it was pure serenity. The sky was clear, the sunlight was soft on our faces, and we chose to sit outside right by the lake despite the chilly air — and the café made it extra cozy by offering warm blankets for anyone who wanted to enjoy the view. We ordered cappuccinos, and they were just perfect — rich, smooth, and served with a lovely touch of latte art. Sipping them while watching ducks glide peacefully across the water was such a calming way to start the day. The setting, with a backdrop of trees, reflections on the lake, and a quiet breeze, felt like a hidden escape right in the middle of Berlin. Whether you’re visiting Engelbecken for a walk or just looking for a peaceful lakeside coffee, Café am Engelbecken is a spot that blends comfort, kindness, and a gorgeous view. The menu is very nice, caters from drinks, cakes, food to wins as well. And it opens until midnight, so you can really stay there as late as you like. Good coffee and food, although at a higher price point than other cafés. However, for the high price, there are no toilets. If you want to go to the toilet, you have to walk five minutes and rent a toilet (70 cents) in the shopping mall.
Minori O — Google review
I started my morning at this coffee shop on a chilly day, craving a flat white. The barista was friendly and even struck up a short conversation with me about cameras, which felt rare and refreshing these days. He recommended the chocolate croissant—his favorite—and it turned out to be an excellent choice: perfectly flaky with rich dark chocolate. My flat white was also spot-on, with beautifully steamed milk and layered latte art. I enjoyed it so much that I ended up buying a bag of beans to take home. Can’t wait to brew them!

I had a great time at this branch of Bonanza Coffee. I tried their filter brew, which was delicious. They offered beans from Costa Rica and Peru, and both roasts were fantastic. The seating area is peaceful and perfect for catching up with friends.

Nestled in the heart of Charlottenburg on Kantstraße, Einstein Kaffee is a delightful café that beautifully marries traditional Viennese coffee culture with delectable pastries. A standout offering is their Sachertorte, which pairs perfectly with a robust espresso, creating an unforgettable flavor experience. The ambiance here is cozy and inviting, making it an ideal spot for relaxation or catching up with friends.
Yogurt was delicious and had fresh fruit on top. The waffle was also very good and was warmed up which was wonderful.

The cafe itself is clean, cozy, and has a calm atmosphere, perfect for relaxing or catching up with friends. Definitely a place I’ll be returning to!

Rausch Schokoladenhaus is a sophisticated chocolatier that proudly claims to be the world's largest chocolate shop. It offers over 250 unique chocolate creations, including bonbons, truffles, and bars made from quality beans sourced from various regions. The store also boasts the longest praline counter on Earth. Visitors can indulge in an array of delectable treats at the in-house cafe while sipping on creamy hot chocolate and enjoying freshly made desserts.
This will always be one of my favorite places in Berlin. The ambiance is delightful, infused with the aromas of love and chocolate. The menu offers a wonderful variety of options at reasonable prices. They provide an assortment of cold chocolate drinks, cafés, and hot chocolate, allowing you to customize the bitterness and type of chocolate to suit your preference. The flavors are exceptional, and the desserts are truly outstanding. Additionally, the service is both elegant and attentive, making for a memorable dessert experience.
Rebeca K — Google review
I tried the handmade chocolates. They were quite good. However, I wouldn't say they were the best I've ever eaten at. The fillings were very flavorful. Atmosphere is very nice. Especially the first floor is one of the best chocolate shops I've ever visited. Although the chocolates were great, I decided to give it 4 stars in comparison to Neuhaus.
Yusuf E — Google review
It was really nice — there were many different types of chocolate, and the bar on the top floor was also good. I gave it 4 stars because we had to wait about 30–40 minutes in line before getting two free seats. I also missed having windows for better air circulation. The prices were reasonable, and both the hot chocolate and the small chocolates were good.
Evelin H — Google review
We had a fantastic visit here. Not to be missed. This is a chocolate shop, a chocolate factory dedicated to the art of true chocolate, and a wonderful cafe on the top floor where exemplary coffee is served to accompany some beautiful chocolate desserts. Not overpriced like some I have been to but still easy to spend a few euros easily as the temptations are omnipresent. Service in all areas was super and we delighted in the experience. You need to book the cafe to get a seat.
The A — Google review
One of the best chocolateries out there. I went to buy souvenirs and a little something for me to try. It is a bit pricey I won't lie BUT the quality and taste is totally worth the price. You can either buy boxes with fixed chocolate in or pick what you want from a huge selection they have.
Popi M — Google review
This chocolate store is an absolute gem! The sheer variety of products on display will leave you in awe. If you have the time, it’s worth making a visit. However, selecting a selection can be overwhelming if you’re not a sweet tooth. What truly sets this store apart are the chocolate figures that beautifully capture some of Berlin’s historical landmarks. Even if you don’t have time to sit and enjoy their café, I highly recommend it. I’ve tried a few of their chocolates so far, and they’re absolutely delicious!
Anand — Google review
great place for hot chocolate (esp dark of upto 80%), we tried their 70-75% dark Ecudor and Costa Rica. Wierdly Ecuador 70 was bitter comparatively, but it was both thick and rich. However they could be a tad bit sweeter, costed close to 4.80e for one cup Staff are very kind and friendly, I love love love their choco lava cake (this is only available in their cafè upstairs) and kitchen closes by before or around 7ish, so best to check before going in (also has toilet if you need) Variety chocolate packs, great gift ideas and selection to buy from
Karthika N — Google review
There are a lot of chocolate varieties. You will definitely find something to but if you are chocolate lover. There are also two cafes. The one at the top floor has a queue and you need to wait to enter. The one at the basement is a small one, you can sit outside or inside with a few fast sitting options. Maybe I went there with high expectation, but I found this place a bit overrated. The brownie I had at the basement cafe and taste of choclates didn't impress me very much.

My friends and I had a fantastic time at this restaurant. The ambiance was welcoming, and the vibrant decor added to the overall charm. We started with delicious pancakes and of course some coffee, followed by refreshing happy hour drinks. It’s the perfect spot for catching up with friends. The staff were friendly and attentive, making the experience even more enjoyable. ❣️

Best place in Berlin! The pancakes were on another level. I had the strawberry pancakes with white chocolate, and it was a true culinary festival. My chicken & waffle was absolutely magical, a perfect harmony of sweetness and savory flavors. The atmosphere was fantastic, with stylish décor that blends vintage charm and modern café vibes. It feels both cozy and vibrant, perfect for a relaxed meal. The staff were professional and very polite. Highly recommended!

Great place to eat breakfast all day long and read books 📚🤓 I ordered the eggs Benedict with bacon and it was scrumptious. I also had a fresh squeezed orange juice and an Americano. I am kinda a coffee snob and I can honestly say the coffee was great! The servers speak German and English and there is plenty of seating for a coffee date or a family outing for brunch. Also no issue with finding a parking spot which can often be an issue in the city. Last note, if you are looking for a place to work on the laptop they have internet which you can connect to 👍
Rebekah J — Google review
This is a review of the take-away bake and coffee shop only. Looks fabulous but looks can be deceiving. Coffee americano in a little floppy paper cup tasted weak, and the pain au chocolate is a great looker and expansive but doughy and stale.
Piet Z — Google review
We found this place by googling. When we arrived we waited for 25 minutes to be seated. Don't worry, there is a hostess, she tells you how long the waiting time is, and calls you when your table is ready. The waiters are very friendly and professional. They speak English and German. I recommend the Philadelphia Sandwich. It was so good that we went there again the next day. The pictures are from both visits. The pancakes were also very tasty. I highly recommend this place. We will definitely visit it again next time we are in Berlin.
Adrian Y — Google review
The food was amazing, nice cocktails and the waiters were very friendly and professional. The only downside is the long waiting list (plus it's not possible to reserve a table in advance). we had to stand next to the entrance and wait for about an hour before we entered the restaurant. The food and service definitely made us forget the long waiting time, but for future visits, I wouldn't go there on the weekends.

The food variety at this café is truly amazing. You might have to wait for a spot, and it doesn’t matter if it’s at the weekend or during the week, because it’s always busy but it's worth it for the delightful taste of the dishes. The service is exceptional, and the staff are friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about what they do. Whether you're craving a hearty breakfast or a leisurely brunch, this café has you covered. Indulge in their signature Krone Granola or opt for the comforting porridge with seasonal toppings.
Still one of the best brunch places for me. The Krone Sandwich is a definite highlight. I also had the Blueberry Hill pancakes that were very tasty in the combination with the berries and sauce. The pancakes themselves were fine but seemed a little dense/dry to me. Prices are round about the usual brunch prices (so not cheap) but the portion size is good. Service and atmosphere are very nice, both inside and outside.

I didn’t go to such a great cafe in Berlin for a while. The coffee is absolutely delicious, the sandwich was tasty and the portion was really big. The stuff was very nice to us and friendly in general. Will definitely come again. I loved the place !

One of the best Brunch place in Berlin, it is a bit more far out but the area is super nice and hipster. Great service and nice staffs. - Cacio e Pepe is surprisingly my favorite, it has truffle salsa with strong taste and very crunchy fresh Ciabatta, perfect combination! - Smashed croissant is very satisfying and tastes fresh due to loads of Rucola on top - Pancake is alright but not the best, it’s getting cold relatively fast and tastes dry - Strawberry Matcha is tasty but too heavy due to the Sahne on top, and it takes away the Matcha tastes. Overall great positive experience!
Chris Z — Google review
Everything was just spectacular, food tasty, beautifully prepared, and truly top notch. 🥞🥗 Coffee was excellent as well ☕. The only thing I didn’t enjoy as much was the mango lemonade, which was too sweet for me (more like mango juice), but that’s just personal preference. 🍹

Café Cinema is a cozy and bohemian hangout located in Hackescher Markt, known for its stage lights and graffiti-lined courtyard. The bar has a quirky, nostalgic ambiance with sepia-colored posters and photos adorning the walls, creating a unique atmosphere reminiscent of the golden age of cinema. Visitors can enjoy good coffee in a cool setting on the small patio within the courtyard, which is covered in graffiti and street art.
I went to Café Cinema in Berlin at night with a friend, and we just used the bar. It’s on Rosenthaler Straße 39 in Mitte. Inside it’s dark and cosy, with old cinema posters on the wall and a bit of a mismatched look. Out back there’s a courtyard with string lights that feel almost magical, like something out of *A Midsummer Night’s Dream*. The drinks were decent and fairly priced, though the service was a little slow. One thing to be aware of is a Ghanaian man who charges you to use the toilet. Overall, it’s a quirky spot for a drink at night.

Lovely place, very atmospheric and perfect for lovers of vintage. You order at the bar, so not much to say about the service, but the coffee and pastries we had were good. The music and decor is what makes this place special.

Cool as… didn’t need the toilet! Just loved the dark dingy vibe. It was way cooler than me but the staff were lovely. Little room where you could have a coffee and smoke a cigarette. Felt like 50’s Berlin. Loved it. ❤️

The drinks have good prices, the outdoor patio is pretty nice and you can sit comfortably. It gives you a nice vibe and it feels like a place where you can easily talk and meet new people from around the world. But I must give three stars as I will never accept the fact that to use the bathroom, you have to pay. For me this is a big NO. And reason enough to take 2 stars away.
Sergio S — Google review
Lovely place with a beautiful patio vintage's style! The only problem is u have to order inside and the waitress are very slow and u have to pay to use the toilet! So i'd recommend this place for a beer

Café Cinema has a unique and charming atmosphere, perfect for film lovers. The decor is thoughtfully designed, with movie-themed pictures on the walls and lighting that gives the space a cinematic feel—almost like being on a film set. The coffee was excellent, definitely a strong point of the place. However, the overall experience was a bit disappointing due to the unfriendly staff. A more welcoming attitude would make a big difference. Also, the cleanliness could be improved, as the space didn’t feel as well-maintained as it should be. Great concept and great coffee, but there’s room for improvement in service.

So I don’t want to overly judge this place as this is not their original location however keep the standards up guys!!!! How did I order a salmon, avocado and wasabi sandwich and oh my was I sold the dream and given this for €10.50. Firstly the sandwich I could make it myself at home multiple times for the price it was sold to me at, secondly there was no wasabi in sight. Only thing I can say is the drink was good 😭😭had to edit this post so it can get posted crazy 💀

Very nice place, in the garden of the literaturhaus. Probably the best strudel that I tried in Germany. Not the authentic one Vienna style, however outstanding served and deliciously tasted. The service makes you feel like you are in a lux restaurant, while the views and atmosphere are very relaxed and peaceful.

A true gem of Berlin. My partner and I were in Berlin from a Wednesday to a Sunday and visited this place not only once but 3 times - and every time it was such a delight. The staff, the setting, the food and the general atmosphere of the place is special. For anyone wanting to experience typical German (delicious) dishes this is the place to go. A big shout out to the waiter Emile (hopefully, spelt correctly!) who made our time here so pleasant. The place is very lucky to have him - what a great guy. Also, for any vegetarians/vegans, there is plenty of dishes to choose from. We will definitely be back again soon. Thanks to all the staff!

After about 30 minutes waiting we finally got a table outdoors. The outdoor area was worth the wait followed by the popular apple strudel which was served warm and we really liked it. There is plenty of dessert choices in the menu and most looked amazing.

Rating it 3 stars because the sandwiches weren’t worth the price they charged us for . The baguette sandwich cost us like 8 euros . So if you are coming for food then I wouldn’t recommend but if you are perhaps coming for a glass of wine, or coffee and cake or even breakfast then this place is very good! The atmosphere, the ambiance, the gorgeous interior is what’s this place is all about .It’d make you feel very high end. Next time I’ll only come here for breakfast or tea time .

First time I was here in May, and really enjoyed atmosphere and cheesecake, service was good and cheesecake was tasty. My mother came (travelled) for a visit and I decided to let her try the best cheesecake here. As we came - terrace was full, so we decided to take for takeaway. When I made order, waitress asked me “do you want me to pack them?” I said “no”. Probably she didn’t hear me and start to pack it, when I nicely asked her “you don’t have to pack it, we will eat it in the park” - she rolled her eyes and with all nervous actions start to throwaway papers to the trash, we even had a eye look between me, my sister and my mom. Ok, whatever, she may had a bad day. As soon as we went outside, two tables were empty and my mother would like to sit, I said “sure”. We almost finished our cakes when waitress came and said “if you took cakes for takeaway you are not allowed to sit here, so I have to ask you to leave”. Well, no problem if there is a clients waiting for this table then I can understand, but there were no one, so I don’t understand what is the problem, especially we had only to make couple of bites from this cake. I left with disappointed feeling from service, in my opinion it wasn’t welcomed at all. I love their cheesecakes, but this bad way of service ruin everything. Not gonna comeback, not gonna suggest any of my friends to come here. UPDATED: after reading your answer for this feedback, I don’t know what type of the client service they teach you in the school that you finished, probably you skipped classes and should come back to it :) Please, notice, that I wrote very polite explanation even with understanding way, but I see that poisonous also came from your answer not only from the behave in the cafe with service us and rolling your eyes. Glad to understand that I didn’t overreact after reading other comments, I see it’s happening pretty other. Wish you all the best of learning how to serve people 😊 Pss. And yeah, customer focus is very very bad, so I have to change my feedback from 3 start to 1.

This is a famous cheesecake place where you can visit your friends, family and kids in Potsdam. Their black coffee has a nice cremation. I normally take classic cheesecake here but this time I tried with lemon. It has nice texture, balanced sour and sweet taste. But ready to wait between 15-30 mins to seat. It’s usually crowded.

our friend suggested us to go to this beautiful bakery shop in Potsdam during our visit, the bakery is very cozy, we had a blueberry cake, a lemon cake one cappuccino and a green tea. The cheesecakes were very good. they have different types of flavors depending on the day, which i found really interesting. the cappuccino was good. prices personally weren’t that expensive is about 7€ per person. the only issue we had is that card payments are not allowed (very typical of this part of germany) but is always a bit uncomfortable not having all the payment options available.

Absolutely perfect neighborhood coffee shop. Completely out of the way so there are no tourists here pretty much. The shop looks like someone’s apartment and the design is very quaint and welcoming. There is a nice selection of new wave freshly roasted coffee so an espresso is not my preference but filter / v60 are wonderful as well as cappuccino and flat white. The cheesecake is very very good, I do recommend it.

Service was super slow, it took around ~10 minutes just to take our order, where the condition was quite empty and another ~35 minutes just for the drinks (we ordered coffee frappe and cappuccino) to be served and had to wait for additional ~15 minutes for the food (we ordered beef pulled benedict and french toast) to be served, we had to ask literally for it, which in total we waited almost an hour for the food, and what made it worse was, the other person who just had ordered, their food came first than ours. The food was just okay, nothing special, for me personally, there's nothing that will make me come back, at least until they fix their service time, couldn't imagine if it was a busy hour. There are other options in the same neighborhood.

No Fire No Glory No Service: the WORST I have experienced in Berlin, as other recent reviews also state. Teenage waiters who preferred to film coffee pour-overs behind the counter for Instagram content, rather than serving multiple customers going up to order — before eventually telling them they should wait at their table for their order. We waited 10 minutes to be served, 27 minutes for a very mediocre flat white and cold espresso, and about an extra 20 minutes for food - the pancakes which, apparently, took so long because they had to be “cooked well enough to be fluffed up.” Poached eggs were overdone, pancakes were overly starchy, and menu is pretty underwhelming - so certainly not worth the wait. Multiple tables waiting for food, no sense of urgency to actually provide a service to customers, and staff roaming around with no idea of what table ordered what. Other tables served food and coffee before us, despite ordering after we did. And this was on a FRIDAY at 2pm, so hardly the Sunday brunch rush… Don’t let the ‘cool’ hype fool you; go somewhere else. There are MUCH better places in the neighbourhood without the hipster price tag.
Alex C — Google review
Fine brunch place, service was slow and the table we got was not good, next to a speaker and several tiles in the floor were broken, which made the chairs wobble. Food was tasty, but was served a bit cold. We got the coffee way too early, which we had finished by the time the food arrived. French toast was over caramelised, which made it too sweet.
Lucia R — Google review
My recent visit to No Fire No Glory was unfortunately marred by exceptionally poor service, even by Berlin standards. We waited approximately ten minutes for drink orders, followed by another twenty minutes with no food order taken nor acknowledged. What truly added the our frustration was observing customers who arrived after us not only place their orders, but also receive their food before we even had a chance to order. We then decided to leave and literally go next door. Within 15 minutes of the place next door (44 Brekkie at the time of this review) we were seated, took our order, and served food. While the coffee was decent at No Fire No Glory, it hardly stands out in Berlin's competitive scene (44 Brekkie which doesn’t even specialize in coffee was on par with this spot). Ultimately, without the opportunity to order, the culinary merits remain unknown. Until service significantly improves, I'd suggest exploring other dining options in Berlin.
Vahid — Google review
Food was very tasty, but took so long to arrive that it was almost not worth it. The staff seem to be overly busy, or not caring too much about being fast.
Mathias F — Google review
So we arrived at 11h with a reservation. It took over 10 minutes to get the menu. Then, we managed to order because the table next to us became impatient and went to ask for someone to take orders. Then we ordered and waited over 40 minutes to get our food. I had to stand up and ask for the food. Firstly the wrong order came, then we waited a bit longer for the right one. The pancakes were cold, soggy… I barely touched my plate and they didn’t even asked what went wrong so I guess they knew it’s not going that great. Was quite a frustrating experience overall. Also would be great to be able to close the toilets room door properly, so that the close tables to hear the constant flush. I tried to close it a few times but it wasn’t working. It’s indeed not “fire” and not a glorious place

Amazing place in a really nice neighborhood! Enjoyed our breakfast here a lot, definitely recommend pancakes and BBQ pulled beef Benedict. I think best in the neighborhood so far. Coffee is very tasty as well. Finally a place that serves cold brew tonic 😍

The menu focuses on sandwiches with homemade spreads, including options like fresh goat cheese with rocket pesto and avocado chili. Additionally, visitors can enjoy Berliner Stulle (open sandwich) paired with various homemade spreads.
I love this place, particularly during weekdays! It’s incredibly busy over the weekend, so I actually would not recommend you join then. However, if you can come in for a coffee during the day Monday to Friday - it’s an exceptionally cozy and warm place with lots of yummy food and enough vegan and veggie options. My favorite is monkey milk - a peanut butter milkshake, and their spreads: the signature dish. Been here many times, and will come back more!

The design is so beautiful and makes you want to stay in forever. We ordered pancakes, scrambled eggs and coffee. Everything was good but too much salt and pepper in the eggs. Will come back to try more from the menu!

Off the beaten path in Prenzlauer Berg neighborhood. Inside 3-4 tables and outside 4 tables for 4+ people. Laminated Menu with English translations was very helpful. Male server was happy to help me by speaking in English. Super friendly and welcoming. Delicious brunch served on Tiered platter of an assortment spreads, cheeses, meats, butter, and toast. Drinks were delicious. I had the special fruit Spritzer of Strawberries, Elderberries, Mint and sparkling water. So refreshing on a warm day. I would go many times again

We had breakfast here. The scrambled eggs were delicious and the coffee was good. Even though the portions are not big, they are enough to keep you going till afternoon. The staff is easy going.

My favorite place in the neighborhood, I usually go meet friends there for breakfast or Brunch, they have an amazing menu for breakfast. They make their own home made dips. Their coffee is really good and the service is really nice. I recommend this place if you find yourself in Prenzlauer Berg

The place to be calm and enjoy with loved one’s. It’s definitely worth visiting. The best part about the place is bread, it’s just yum. Their fresh orange was so good (might be hand picked oranges😉). They accept cash and Apple-Pay

We had a nice Sunday brunch here and we’re completely satisfied. The mixed breakfast platter let’s you choose from a variety of spreads. Some definitely better than others but overall very tasty. Mixed bread basket was okay, although next time I’d order more of my favorite type of bread (the dark grainy sunflower bread). Coffee and chai latte were also very good and the boiled egg was perfectly done. The staff was very friendly. Only downside might be that you don’t get direct sunlight at the outside tables.
Jonas V — Google review
This was one of the best breakfasts i have ever had. As always, i got myself a chai latte. Although it wasn‘t a "real" chai latte, it still tasted very good. I also shared some scrambled eggs and some kartoffelpuffer with my friend. I only have pictures of the scrambled eggs and coffee, but everything was delicious. You can tell that everything is fresh, and most importantly handmade. The atmosphere was great and the cafe looked very beautiful from inside and out.

The cafe offers outdoor benches, exhibitions, and a welcoming atmosphere for locals and visitors alike to engage in conversations about life in Berlin.
I love the fact it's self-service and easy going, with chairs and tables all different. Very berliner style. Shame it's cash only.

If you‘re wanna be treated like shit, this is the right spot. Asking a normal question, you will get a rude answer. Only cash, but they don‘t have change. Sadly this was an embarrassing experience to bring my friend here. I felt so sorry. Don‘t want to be rude, but that‘s just my experience. 😮‍💨

Cocktails were good but it was not a good experience for us. We’ve been completely forgotten by the young bartender, we are tourist but we pay as people from the city, so it would be nice to be served as the other customers. I had to come back at the bar and stare at him to get our drinks

Nice brunch for 7 to 13€ ( depending on how you can contribute ). Before 11h, there is a crowd. This place is quite hype, but I believe the food is not up to the hype. The chocolate dessert was really good.
Raymond C — Google review
The brunch costs between 6 to 13€ depending on how much you can contribute. Vegan food except for the cheese. The chocolate dessert were super tasty. Before 11h, there is already a queue. I believe the place doesn't live up to its hype.

Came across this place by chance however it was the culinary highlight of my trip! We all got the Vegan Breakfast which was a delight. I loved all the little dishes, they were tasty and refreshing. We are not even vegan but would highly recommend this breakfast to everyone!
Car Z — Google review
We came there for the Sunday brunch. The vegan food is really good and varied. We had the chance to try out something new there. However, it's pretty unorganized in terms of seating. If you come before 1pm, the queue is huge, people are standing inside and waiting to be seated, blocking the entrance and the way to the buffet, and usually you just have to do it by yourself and ask the tables around if it's ok to join them. It's super uncomfortable. Some people are almost fighting with others to get seated and your nice Sunday brucnch gets stressful becauseyou haveti fightyour way to it. We were waiting around 30 minutes to get a place, and although there was a waitlist, we had to find it by ourselves and to make sure we do it before the others in the queue do it as we were there earlier. I'd definitely recommend to go there after 1pm, when it gets more relaxed.

Coffee is absolutely delicious! Had to have another one right away and even the decaf was delicious! Loved it so much that I bought it for home. Now I need a coffee maker 😅 Tried butter croissant and pan au chocolate and they were both the perfect combo with coffee. Sat at the high table for a few hours to get some work done. WiFi and sockets are available. Girls were super nice. Will definitely come back when I’m in the area.

Used to love this place, it seemed to have a spark. However, seems like a lot has changed and not for the better. Food quality has gone down, and coffee was alright. Did the owner change or something?? Seems like all food was of lower quality, as if I was in a normal Bäckerei. We had the mozzarella sandwich which was dry and had 3 mozzarella slices, 3 tomato slices, 1 leaf of lettuce and touch of pesto on one side of the bun and that for 5.5€. You can get a better one from any basic Bäckerei around town. Also, they warmed it up too long so top of bun was burnt (forgot to take a pic...). Then we also shared a mozzarella quiche, which was average, flavour edible, parchment paper got stuck to the bottom so was somehow also difficult to cut it. They also transformed the top floor into an open kitchen which since they now serve brunches for over 10€, like around 15€ mark. Kitchen makes the place smell strongly. All in all - not a great experience. What happened to the High-End coffee?? For coffee I got the bonanza blend, also very average tasting coffee. I will not go back unfortunately, not for this quality reduction, especially not for those prices.

My favorite espresso bar and roaster in Berlin! It is a tiny venue, always packed with people - regardless when I visited. Their coffee is really outstanding!

The style is very unique. They also have pastry. I ordere ice latte which is kind of good. Coffee itself is not so outstanding. Milk flavor is quite think which makes the coffee smell good. The staff doesn’t smile so much but very helpful. The service is fast. I accidentally spilled a cup of coffee. They helped me clean and offered a new one.

Mixed feelings. Offering a very good coffee that meets all of my expectations. But the coffee wasn’t strong enough for me, and on my second cup I asked for a double shot, only to realize that it was already a double shot. I have no explanation for this.
Yoram P — Google review
I had comed a few times in the last past years during vacations in Berlin and everything was ok with this café. Today I went back and it started well. Very good strawberry matcha, not bitter, not overly sweet. Dark choco cookie was quite good as well. I was a little bit disappointed with the Chaï Mousse Cake. It was good but the Chaï flavor was very weak... The cake was good and light but the flavor didn't hit the spot. The end note was a disaster. Indeed I wanted to end this tea time with a double espresso for a last yummy experience. Unfortunately, I don't know if it was the barista, the machine or the beans, but the taste was very bitter almost burnt, whereas I expected a specialty coffee quality level here. In the end, I'm not sure to come back because I was quite disappointed by the coffee, knowing the price I paid. 😢

Cafe Neundre is my favorite coffee shop in Berlin. The interior is simple with an almost Zen like feel. The service is pleasant and fast. The pastries are of excellent quality and very pretty. The raspberry coconut loaf cake was especially good, nicely moist and flavorful. The coffee and particularly the espressos are the best so far in Berlin.

Cute cafe with nice atmosphere but the cinammon roll was super dry and actually the worst I had-why? I think it was fresh because it was a busy Sunday afternoon but it’s just the way they do it. Schade

Golden Latte was ok. The baked goods (I had an Ansak cookie) were superb though. Cute location. I see a lot of reviews complaining about the service. But when we were there, sometime about 4 in the afternoon on a long weekend, the two baristas/servers were totally ran ragged. There must've been about 40 customers. I can see why the service is slow but yeah, they were really doing the best they can. Perhaps the cafe can consider getting someone extra for the busy periods. Plenty of lactose free and vegan options.

I live near by and this is one of my favorite cafes in the area, is usually pack but you find a spot within the time you order usually. 10/10!! ❤️ Personally the best matcha cafe I’ve tried in Europe. Strong matcha taste but not bitter. Matcha latte is smooth and still you can taste the tea flavor, and omg the matcha soft ice is silky smooth & creamy, I’m in love!! The tiramisu is just ok for me though Staff are friendly too, the only cons is the small cafe space so you might have to wait a little bit, but that wasn’t a problem for us :)

Only the best experience! The desserts were delicious - the yuzu cheesecake was especially good. I asked for a matcha shot in the yuzu lemonade (like they do in NYC), and it was really good. The service was very nice, and the outdoor seating was perfect for relaxing in the shade on a summer day.

I went here with my girlfriend and had an amazing experience, particularly and especially because of the lovely cakes (or rather artistic and culinary masterpieces). We were very lucky with the wait, as we had none, but after we sat down, many people came to queue. The queue system is digitalised, you get to pull a number through a QR code, so you don't have to stand around for 30 minutes, if the queue happens to be that long ;)

Super-delicious pastries and matcha, but sitting inside when it's full of people was a nightmare (little space + very noisy + very bright light) and I’d recommend takeaway or choosing a table outside. Also mind that before getting a table you have to quickly scan the qr code on your phone, select the option where you want to be seated and wait outside.
Jagoda M — Google review
It was such a great experience!✨ I would say that the cakes here are very different from the normal cakes found in Germany, rather it‘s close to Japanese pastry influenced a lot by French pastry. All cakes are very beautiful and elegantly structured with careful calculation. The service was really great. Employees there are bright and take care of customers carefully with gentle gestures. The atmosphere is really quite and calm, but the joy of customer enjoying their time made me warm and cosy too. They also served the tea from Mariage Freres that I love to buy in Paris. Although I didn’t order, I believe they also use the great tea and coffee of high-ends too. Love to visit again!

DO NOT ORDER from Chimney's online store, they scammed me. I really wanted to support a vegan business so I ordered the Dubai Chocolate bar from Chimney's online store for a total of 28€80 euros (24€90 + 3€80 shipping fees) which is expensive for chocolate but I really wanted to try the Dubai one, it is chocolate filled with pistachio and other things. However when I received the package I was extremely surprised to find that the chocolate I received was plain dark chocolate with no filling inside. (They don't even sell this, it must be what they use for baking...) I immediately sent an email to Chimney and they answered the next day and told me they'd send another package with my order. I was really pleased with their fast answer and solution but I shouldn't have been. When I received the second package, once again, it was a plain chocolate bar with no filling inside. I sent another email and it has been 14 days without an answer, when they were clearly able to answer me in less than 24h the first time. I also contacted them on instagram and sent a 2nd email but no answer either. If it happened just once I would be understanding because it could just be a genuine mistake but for it to happen twice, with a product they don't even sell, it cannot be a mistake, someone is replacing the orders on purpose, and their lack of answer to my emails show their unprofessionalism too, they clearly don't want to refund me when they didn't even send my order. DO NOT ORDER FROM THEIR ONLINE STORE.

Went here with a Neotaste 1+1 free deal for the chimney cakes and they were honestly great! We came around 8pm in the evening so some of the flavours were no longer available, but the vanilla queen I had was delicious, even filled inside with more strawberries. Nice interior too, full price for one of these would be ~8€.

I liked the chimney but the ice cream was kind of tasteless specially the vanilla one, we waited about 30 min for the order, the atmosphere was pretty nice, and the service was normal. We also ordered an americano and a chai latte, chai latte was also quite tasteless but the Americano was good.

Horrible texture of bread... I ordered them by Wolt. It was not only cold but also hard
JINHOON B — Google review
The place is localised by the loud street, with 2-3 small tables. The price start from 7,9 EUR. Unfortunately ingredients of poor quality. Strawberry ice cream doesn’t even taste like a strawberry, just like an artificial yoghurt (?). Inside they out some ball which tastes like who knows what - not nuts, not chocolate 🤷‍♀️ On plus only that it’s vegan and the staff is kind. In general - overhyped and overpriced.
K T — Google review
My girlfriend always wanted to come here and on a sunny Sunday we had a very pleasant time here. Although we haven't eat the chimney cakes, but cookies instead, everything was delicious. Everything taste good, not just look yummy. I also drank a cappuccino, and my Italian side was ver pleased.
Edel C — Google review
I left a review earlier and just got an email that the place asked Google to remove my review for defamation reason. Therefore will do rewording and here is a quick summary of the personal experience for anyone who is interested to visit this place. - slow service, took 20 mins to prepare 1 cake even though we were the only ones there and it was Sunday (there are similar reviews re this as well) - rude and unfriendly front staff accepting orders - tasteless ice cream - tea water is provided is as big as 1/3 of the cup - not allowed to bring a cup outside for the risk of cups being stolen by customers, there were bees inside when we there and I was afraid to be bitten as I'm allergic but the stuff didn't want to let me take a cup to sit outside even though there are tables and chairs provided from the place to sit on - they ask Google to remove negative reviews I wouldn't recommend anyone to visit this place as I felt humiliated. Now I felt more disrespected when I got the email that chimneys asked Google to remove my review. If you want to hear honest opinions about your product and staff, you should welcome all kinds of opinions and be open to improve the quality of the service rather than swipe all problems under the rug.

Coffee shop
Nestled in a historic pharmacy building from 1892, Winterfeldt Schokoladen is a delightful chocolate haven located in the vibrant district of Schoneberg. This charming café has transformed its antique drawers and cabinets into showcases for an impressive array of chocolates, pastries, and sweet delights from renowned brands like Pralus and Venchi. The menu features not only exquisite pralines but also tempting treats such as scones with clotted cream, cheesecake, and rich chocolate fondant cake.
I’m visiting from Australia and came here on Saturday on a friend’s recommendation and could not have loved this café more! It has such a wide range of drinks, cakes and chocolates and such a cool vibe. I had the most wonderful waitress, who told me that the building was an old pharmacy and they have really used the space to their advantage with a very cool aesthetic. I ordered the Spanish-style hot chocolate and had never had anything like it before, but it was so delicious - definitely recommend for sweet tooths and chocolate lovers 😍 The blueberry scone and mango cake were also delicious!

Being new to Berlin, we wanted somewhere to enjoy a good coffee and observe city life. This cafe is beautifully placed on a relatively busy corner with wicker chairs and benches outside to sit on, thankfully it also has an awning to deploy during those unexpected rainshowers. It is a relaxed and friendly place to read a book and see how Berliners go about their day. Inside, there is a charming old-world vibe, with low lighting and darkwood furnishings; it's very cosy and full of character. I especially liked the old wood flooring and the thick wooden front door. Of course, they have a high quality selection of coffee, chocolates and cakes. The walnut cake and banana bread, oatmilk cappucino and americano were great, and the drinks come in a variety of colourful crockery. On both days we stayed here, the staff were great, and understood us even though we have hardly any German. This is a great place; if I lived in the neighbourhood I would go there all the time it is so peaceful.
Endofneilmusic — Google review
My favorite chocolate store in Berlin! Perfect place to shop for souvenir. You can enjoy coffee, hot chocolate, chocolate and pastry here. I had the daily special Winterfeld hot chocolate which was white chocolate with curry, weirdly tasty and aromatic! No laptop on the weekend. There is also a bathroom.
L C — Google review
Five stars. I came here during my previous visit and found it to be very charming. Set in an old pharmacy, the history of it only adds to its charm. The coffee, cake and atmosphere was also very good. Plenty of hot chocolate visits this winter.

Nice Coffee and chocolates but Long waiting. The Service is friendly .. not hard to find the Shop. Nice Place to Take a Break. 🙏🇩🇪🇹🇭🌈🇨🇭🧡🥰😍😘

You enter this small cafe and instanly it smells warm coffee and bitter chocolate all around you. It’s such a sweet place with lots of pralines and fudges to choose from as well as cakes and cookies. I tried their Wallnut cake and it was really delicious! They serve a quality brand coffee here and the service is friendly.

Found this place by chance, and I'm so glad I did. It's apparently a well-known spot. The chocolate was delicious, and the view from the window was so peaceful and quaint. A perfect spot to relax for a while.
SENSUO — Google review
Such a cool cafe being in a former pharmacy/apotheke. I got a regular hot chocolate as I was not sure of the other flavors, but the original is the best I've had in Berlin!

Cafe
Calm Coffee is a cozy spot known for its variety of vegan pastries and drinks. Their latest addition to the menu is a range of cinnamon rolls in flavors like peanut butter, blueberry, salted caramel, raspberry, matcha, and birthday cake. The weekend treat box offers two cinnamon rolls, two slices of cake, and two drinks. Customers love the juicy buns and recommend pairing them with a cold brew for a perfect afternoon treat.
Cutest little matcha cafe. I tried their iced earl grey matcha and it was so so good. Cashier was also super sweet and gave my toddler a bit of cow’s milk in the same to-go cup upon asking. Would come here again!
Laiba A — Google review
The calm café has potential, but my experience fell a little short. The staff could have been more welcoming, and when I asked about matcha, I was simply referred to the menu without much guidance. The matcha drink I tried was decent, and the pistachio roll was fine but not particularly memorable.
Hey B — Google review
The coffee was good but I had to be in the line for 20 min to get it, even though there were only 2 couples in front of me ordering regular coffee, and I saw some people left because they didn’t have time to wait. I liked the variety of drinks options but desserts didn’t look appealing. Dog-friendly, average Berlin prices
Alexandra G — Google review
I love this place so much. The cinnamon rolls are some of the best I've ever had, I got the iced earl grey matcha and my husband got the peanut butter espresso and we found both to be delicous
Stefanie W — Google review
The lavender matcha was a hit and the vegan bun was so delicious!! Crazy good! Only down side: they don’t have a changing table for babies in the toilet.
Chiara S — Google review
Worse coffee ever. Tasted like instant coffee/ old coffee that has been brewed and sat there for ages.. my husband and I arrived 4ish pm ordered a takeaway soya latte. So far I Berlin we have had really nice coffee but this one is a big no. Luckily we only ordered one and it was so bad that we had to throw away after few sip. It
Fee P — Google review
Honestly, that weren’t the best vegan cinnamon rolls. But I love their interesting flavors of lattes! I had a lotus one and my mom lavender. And we both enjoyed them! Quite pricey tho. Place’s really nice and it wasn’t too busy on Friday morning.
Ela G — Google review
Two stars instead of one just because of the delicious buns! They're definitely worth it, but it's better to take them home. Mediocre, overpriced coffee (and this is the only place in the world where I found ice cubes you have to pay for! 0.3€ 🤡). The barista was incredibly unfriendly. I don't recommend it.

Cafe
Café Pförtner is a laid-back eatery located in the former BVG workshops, now a bustling cultural center. The café offers a daily-changing menu of globally inspired dishes served in a hip and rustic setting. Guests can enjoy their meals in various unique spaces, including a lovingly decorated small building, an old refurbished bus from the 70s, or outdoors. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, making it a standout dining experience in Berlin.
Such a wonderful place. And their lunch menu is delicious.
Andra O — Google review
The vibes and the staff were fantastic. Really enjoyed checking out the space and would return again but I wouldn't recommend ordering the vegan option. What I ordered was a veggie bowl and what I received looked like at least three of Jay-Z's 99 problems. It looked like a sacrifice to the many faced god. It looked like it was prepared by an exceptional and highly-ambitious preschooler. Reader, to say I was disappointed would be an understatement. But I have hope, I'll try this place again some other time.
DL S — Google review
Very small indoor place but lots more seats outdoors. I think we were there at an unfortunate time cause outdoors looked kinda chaotic, the tables were dirty and a broken piece of one of the umbrellas was lying below our table - I assume things got a bit messed up during the recent storms. The menu is rather small. For drinks you can choose between coffee or bottled lemonade. I wish there was a decaf option or juice or a home-made lemonade for summer cause it was such a hot and humid day we went there. The staff was super friendly and also kind enough to put some ice cubes in our coffee. Croissant was good! Comparatively of what you can find in the neighborhood not bad at all but also not outstanding. I’ve heard the lunch is supposed to be really good and fresh. Plus, they’re supposed to have a nice vegan carrot cake - which they didn’t the day we were there, so maybe I’ll come back to try that.
Aurica L — Google review
The management seems a bit chaotic, easily a line at cashier. But at least the person was friendly. The cake was huge. Unsure if that was the normal size or just because I had to wait for a while so I got a big one. There is an old bus where you can dine inside. It is an interesting experience.
L C — Google review
The food at Café Pförtner is delicious and always interesting (although certainly quite pricey a lot of the time). The main reason for 4 and not 5 stars is that there is always a long wait for the food - today we waited over an hour for it even though there were not that many others here with us, and it's always been about 30 minutes or so the many other times I've been here. In addition, though ordering two of the same dishes, one even somehow came out significantly before the other.
Raphael F — Google review
Fantastic food and service, the restaurant is located in a nice quiet area and the tables are cozy
Apostolos K — Google review
The vibe and the location are great!! However the food was too oily and tasteless. We took the pulpit tartare and the pear salad. Price is okay, but still not worth it
Sofya S — Google review
Lovely and lively casual place. Just for a drink or for a fresh dish from a small but ever changing menu list. Waiting for the summer to sit outdoors in front of what was the doorkeeping house of the bus depot.

Cafe
The Black Isle Bakery is a cafe and bakery in Berlin with a very welcoming atmosphere. It is known for its amazing cakes, as well as coffee.
The interior of this coffee shop is minimalistic and beautiful (especially the pictures). Very friendly people working behind the counter, who also speak English very fluently. The coffee was good and pastry beyond delicious. Would definitely recommend!! (You can only pay by cash, or so it was when I went there)
Annie T — Google review
I biked all the way despite the cold today because the website was so aesthetically pleasing. The space is totally my cup of tea, narrow but still managed to give it a edgy and minimalist feel. I got myself a latte and a lemon cake but the decision was not easy. Literally had to ask for recommendation. The cake was not the best, I should have maybe chosen the chocolate one. They accept card!
Lisa — Google review
I was here today. I had coffee and banana and hazelnut cake. Both were good. The place looks like a warehouse with two tables. They have a coffee machine and 4 different cakes & cookies. I would hesitate walking in if I hadn't googled this place beforehand. Their design is too simple. Such that it makes you think there is something missing. If you are in the neighbourhood you can go see yourself😉
Hale S — Google review
5 stars definitely. Very tasty pastries. Good coffee. Friendly staff. Finally made it to visit this place and it was 💯 worth it. Very simple but stylish interior. One of the best cafes in. Berlin Mitte. Only one disadvantage: on weekend can be hard to find a free table (because the place is very good).
Попеляев О — Google review
The Scottish gingerbread is just about the best baked thing I've eaten in quite some time. The peanut butter cookie was also not too shabby. Both were just as sweet as they needed to be and restrained in all other respects as well, all flavor components well balanced.
Tobias S — Google review
The carrot cake is not that bad but it is not outstanding. I couldn’t tell the difference with any other carrot cakes around tbh. It would expect it more moist. The peanut butter cookies were really delicious and l like the coffee beans that they use for latte.
Basak Z — Google review
If you're a fan of minimal decor and baked goods, this is the place for you! Pastries and cakes here are yummmmm and coffee is quite good too. The only complaint my friend and I had was that the echo inside was crazy...there were 3-4 groups of customers, and when everyone was talking at the same time it felt like we were in the night market lol.
Chi C — Google review
Beautiful place, really yum assortment of cakes and cookies, all made in house. Plus very high quality coffee. A special place to visit.
