Bakery
Nestled in the heart of Berlin, Albatross Bakery is a charming spot that perfectly balances comfort and flavor. This inviting locale serves up an array of sweet and savory pastries, alongside delicious sandwiches, homemade bread, and aromatic coffee. One standout dish is their eggs on toast—scrambled to perfection atop a crunchy slice of their signature sourdough, enhanced with smoked egg yolk and fennel kimchi for an unforgettable experience.
The pastries are very tasty and there are quite many options. The banana bread was very nice and with many nuts in it! 😋 Coffee was fine, not amazing. Perfect place for a quick breakfast as there are no seats available apart from few benches outside. Price are quite high (imo)
Rachele R — Google review
Place is too small, would love more proper comfortable seatings, especially with that price. The creme brulee was mediocre, I came at around 8.30am, the pastry was already cold and I dont think the filling (is it blueberry jam?) didnt really go well. I also tried the pistachio croissant.. taste wise its okay, but at €6/pc its on the high side.
Allan G — Google review
Have enjoyed their food over the years, but would recommend strongly to avoid the pistachio ricotta croissant. The filling has almost a bitter, or acidic taste. We didn’t even finish it. I highly recommend the one at Gorilla down the road instead (no ricotta, only pistachio)
Ellen E — Google review
Here was one of my favorite bakery. At least I visited here more than 20 times for croissants, Apple danish, carrot cake, baguette sandwiches, other breads. First when I bought this bread, it’s really amazing delicious. So I bought again another day. But when I cut, it was not baked well, more than 70% of bread. It was really disappointing, because I really looked forward to eat again. I could say it ruined my Sunday lunch. The next day, I visited again to tell it. The guy didn’t say any apology about the bread and just ask me refund or get new one. It's a shame about their handling. Yes of course, their business is very good there, so it wouldn't be a big inconvenience if one customer doesn't come back. But at least I think it cannot happen at professional bakery. :(
Hyunjeong G — Google review
We tried both croissant and almond croissant, and we really liked them both. Croissants cost 2.3€, almond croissants 2.9€, and lattes 3.5-4€. What we didn't eat remains a memory🧡
Nur S — Google review
I had high hopes for this place. I got their canele and almond croissant (per recommendation of the staff). The canele was DELICIOUS! One of the best canele I’ve had. Crispy outside, soft custardy inside. The almond croissant was so bad. Literally as bad as Starbucks croissant :( I love almond croissants too, but oh man it was soggy, barely had any filling, and lacked a lot of flavor. Maybe I should’ve come earlier in the day, but I went out of my way to come here and I was disappointed ;(
Skylar K — Google review
Edit: I don't think you understand how Google Maps review system works. It's full of individual options which build the total rating of a place. You always have the option if you don't like it to remove yourself from Google maps :-). The food looks better than it tastes. When compared to an original french bakery this was a disappointing experience. Also the filter coffee is batch brewed and not fresh. Unfortunately I will not return.
J P — Google review
Super nice artisan bakery in Berlin! The quality is excellent, the only downside is the price tag for some of the items. For that reason I probably wouldn’t go back again but it was worth the experience!

Zeit für Brot is a renowned bakery with three locations in Berlin, offering an array of delectable treats. The star of the show is their famous cinnamon rolls, available in various flavors and generously sized. These rolls are so popular that there's often a line out the door. In addition to the irresistible pastries, Zeit für Brot takes pride in its artisanal bread and also serves sandwiches, smoothies, and coffee.
Omg, the cinnamon rolls are truly the best ones I have ever eaten (and I have eaten a lot of them). The classic cinnamon is just out of this world: soft like a cloud and perfectly spiced and wet. One of the best thing I’ve eaten there in Berlin!!! So if you’re here you definitely need to go there!!
Stella R — Google review
If you’re looking for an amazing bakery in Berlin, you’ve got to check this place out! They have such a fantastic variety of delicious treats that it's hard to choose. On my first visit, I didn’t get to try everything, but I saw so many mouthwatering options that I can’t wait to go back! From tasty pastries to fresh breads, there’s really something for everyone to enjoy. Plus, the staff are super friendly and attentive, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. It’s definitely a spot that will have you coming back for more!
Hesham E — Google review
Absolutely loved this place! I had the hummus sandwich which was fresh, flavourful, and seriously delicious. But the real star was the cinnamon bun, which was honestly mind-blowing. Soft, moist, perfectly spiced, truly everything you could want in a bun. Despite a queue stretching out the door when we arrived, the staff were lovely, helpful, and still smiling under pressure. It made the whole experience even better.
Elena D — Google review
One of the best Cinnabons I’ve ever had! With different flavours. Their coffee is also good. There’s a cozy place to sit and relax, especially in winter. Sometimes there’s a line, but it moves very quickly. Highly recommended
Jasmine Z — Google review
The place and vibes are great. Amazing cinnamon rolls and coffee. The regular one is lacking a bit of moist, but still it was good, the other flavors were better in my opinion. Ordered a matcha and it was very nice and well made. ❤️
Macarena F — Google review
Raspberry white chocolate roll is amazing! I was lucky to get one from a freshly baked batch. They offer a nice variety of bread and other baked goods. I didn’t really like the sandwiches; they’re too small for the price. It gets busy quite easily. There’s both indoor and outdoor seating (indoors can be a bit noisy, and outdoors you have to watch out during wasp season or when the weather’s nice, as birds might try to grab your food). The toilet could use some maintenance; there’s a bad smell and poor ventilation.
L S — Google review
Wide range of rolls (schnecke) to choose from. Wouldn’t recommend going for the classic cinnamon one, it’s always drier than the others, nor the Apfelstrudel. The other rolls taste good, they are fluffy and not too sweet. Would add more cinnamon to the almond apple though. Prepare to queue on weekends (for takeout or seating).
HC — Google review
It’s huge and offers a vast selection of savoury and sweet pastries, but the sweets really steal the show. Drinks are good too. Everything is fresh and made with quality ingredients, so I recommend trying whatever catches your eye. I personally suggest cinnamon buns.

Cafe
FREA Bakery & Cafe offers a laid-back atmosphere and serves a variety of sourdough sandwiches, brioche, and croissants. This establishment stands out in Berlin's baking scene for being fully vegan, using only sourdough, promoting zero-waste practices, and sourcing ingredients locally. Most pastries are reasonably priced between 3 to 4 euros. Notably, they have a Gersi machine that composts all organic waste into soil which is then returned to local suppliers.
I made a reservation for a Sunday morning (10h30), everything went well and the restaurant was very calm! The food was delicious and the pastries were perfect! I will definitely be back 💜
Beatriz C — Google review
I don’t know what to say here. The place had a very delicious food and great coffee. That’s 100%. But a terrible service. It’s overcrowded. You need to ask twice or thrice “where is my order” to get it. It’s very noisy and unbearable inside while seated. It’s amazing outside. Just treat this place as a bakery to go and you will be fine. Owners should restrict amount of seats if they can’t afford it. Or express verbally that it would be a very long time for waiting. But as I wrote before a pastry is absolutely amazing. Just take it and enjoy in a park.
Serge A — Google review
9 euros for the smallest bowl of granola i have ever seen, croissants are super heavy as well and overpriced. Only good thing was the coffee. Such a disappointment.
Selin A — Google review
Delicious bakery/café/restaurant! We booked a table a few days in advance (for the weekend) for breakfast and had the porridge and the mushroom sandwich — both were excellent. The pastry is absolutely delicious, freshly made, and perfectly balanced in flavor and texture. The atmosphere is cozy yet modern, and the staff were friendly and attentive without being intrusive. You can really tell they care about quality and detail, from the presentation of the dishes to the choice of ingredients. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a relaxed breakfast or brunch spot with great coffee and exceptional baked goods. We came again to try other pastry and it was as good as we expected.
Bampichock — Google review
I was particularly excited to try their pistachio croissant, but it didn’t quite meet my expectations. The balance of flavors was off. The cream overpowered the taste of pistachio, which was surprisingly soft and lacked the distinct nutty flavor I was hoping for. It felt more like I was eating a cream-filled croissant rather than enjoying the rich taste of pistachio. I also tried the pistachio citron tart, and while the tart was well-made, the lemon flavor was overwhelmingly dominant, to the point where the pistachio was nearly undetectable. It was disappointing, especially since I was expecting a more balanced flavor profile where both the lemon and pistachio could shine. The staff, unfortunately, didn’t add much to the experience. They weren’t particularly welcoming or smiling, which affected the overall atmosphere of the bakery. A friendly and warm service could have made up for some of the shortcomings in the food, but that wasn’t the case here. On a positive note, the coffee was good—nothing exceptional, but it met the standard of what you’d expect from a bakery like this. It was a solid cup of coffee, but not something that would make me return specifically for it. Overall, FREA Bakery has potential, but the pastries need better flavor balance, and the staff could be more engaging to create a more enjoyable experience.
Rim G — Google review
The place is vibing! Very peaceful and nice, perfect for a Saturday breakfast. There are multiple food options and the egg and cheese sandwich I tried was very tasty.
Andreea B — Google review
Pleasant Morning Spot, but Pastry Disappointment This charming cafe offers a cozy atmosphere perfect for a leisurely morning coffee. Unfortunately, my pastry choices fell short. The pistachio tart was visually appealing, but the citron base overpowered the subtle pistachio flavor, leaving me underwhelmed. The pistachio croissant was standard, and I've encountered better options in Berlin. While the ambiance was enjoyable, the pastries didn't live up to my expectations.

The bakery specializes in artisanal sourdough bread, pastries, and cakes made with organic grains from small Northern European farmers. The interior boasts a warm and inviting atmosphere with its unique design featuring a vinyl red floor, yellow-hued walls, and bespoke elm wood furniture.

favorite breakfast spot in berlin! amazing bread, tasty pastries that change regularly, and a great flat white. the egg plate with extra ham hit every spot, and that whipped butter was just divine! the price is faire and also super generous, totally lives up to the hype!

Sofi, a hidden gem in the Mitte area, offers a cosy atmosphere with ample indoor seating, including communal tables and courtyard seating. We tried the sourdough chocolate cake, savoury croissant, and ham & cheese bun. The pastries were delicious, and the coffee was strong.
Y T — Google review
Very typical berliner bakery, with nice essencial ambience and very good quality pastries/bread. Nice and welcoming staff. We had a "maison bun" and a viennoiserie with an unpronounceable name, they were both very tasty, even if we couldn't recognize any of the ingredients of the filling, along with two platters of cheese which were really tasty. Coffee was ok. I'll definitely go back for a second shot.
Marco M — Google review
I was blown away by the twice baked croissant. I enjoyed every bite. It’s filled with this lemony/orangey cream that has subtle hints of rum, and then topped with almonds. It’s crunchy but buttery. Just incredible. The hype is real! Honestly the best patisserie product I’ve had in Berlin.
Laoganma — Google review
I've visited many bakeries in Paris, London, America, and many other countries around the world. SOFI is the best bakery in the world, and even in the parallel universe. I couldn't believe the incredible taste! If you visit Berlin, I highly recommend it. Note: Prices are somewhat high.
COLNEL Y — Google review
I went there early in the morning, not too crowded and everything was fresh. I got the kimchi cheese toast+earl grey tea and it was delicious breakfast. staff was friendly and helpful. they were all young, nice people. would love to come and try new things !!
Zehra Ç — Google review
the vanilla bread pudding was SOOOOOOO good i love bread pudding and this one was fantastic. the top was baked crispy, the layers were dense yet had pockets of air, and there were bits of faint vanilla-y flavoured, sweet custard in between. it was the perfect amount of congeal-iness and mushiness without being unappetizing. the chocolate sourdough was basically a chocolate muffin, and i thought it was a bit dry?? it wasn’t too sweet, and had a slight bitterness from the cocoa powder sprinkle, and a faint nutty taste. the focaccia was really disappointing though because it was cold and super hard to chew off — not fresh at all. i liked the sweet pumpkin and fragrant onion topping, but i think it would’ve benefited from a sprinkle of sea salt and maybe some olive oil too. and of course warmth !

Bakery
Domberger Brot-Werk in Moabit is a bakery known for its exceptional sourdough artisan bread. Florian Domberger, the owner, was inspired to start baking German bread after missing it while traveling. The sourdough is left to rest for over 24 hours, resulting in a magical taste and texture. Customers rave about the friendly staff and the high quality of the bread, with some even claiming it's worth going out of your way to visit this bakery.
As soon as you enter this bakery your nose will be filled with an incredible smell of freshly baked bread. Bakers work directly in front of the clients the dough of a great variety of breads and they welcome you with a big smile and an happy “guten morgen!”. The cinnamon roll I ordered had a soft and comfy interior and a delicious, caramelized crust on top. The cinnamon and the humid part in the interior of the bun added stratification and sweetness to the roll. I also took some bretzel and a loaf of bread to take away. The perfect acidity of the bread makes you salivating and increases a lot the pleasure in eating the dough, which presented a perfect crust and a morbid, warm and nice alveolar structure in the interior.
Lorenzo P — Google review
The place is nice and they have good cinnamon rolls on Tuesdays and Saturdays. The missing star is because the other cakes I tried, are pretty plain. Especially the one with the vanilla sauce was basically a tasteless bread with a tasteless sauce. The prices are a bit above average, especially for this area in Berlin. I haven't tried their bread yet but I'll give it a shot in the future and I hope to remain impressed enough to give it the missing star.
Fra M — Google review
Great cinnamon rolls and almond croissants (best so far) . The butter cake is not my thing. Their beutebrot is a bestseller , try if you like sourdough .Card payment accepted.
Kamalita M — Google review
Tried the butter cake here. Was pretty good. The lady serving it spoke English and was very warm and friendly and explained the different kinds of bread and their differences. Always a plus to have such people to help expats with their bread shopping. Also was informed that 10 am is when their cakes are super fresh from their oven. So do visit the bakery at that time for super fresh cakes
Nambirajan V — Google review
The whole thing is an experience, seeing how the bakers work behind the counter is mesmerising The pastries were just.. crazy good

That’s one of the best bakeries I have ever visited. The smell of fresh baked goods hits you from the first step. They have a huge variety of delicious breads. I wanted something sweet so I got the butter-sugar cake and for some reason I got a croissant 🥐 for free. I have never eaten such an interesting solid croissant! The cake was super light and delicious. Last but not least the staff was exceedingly friendly and helpful!
Viktor D — Google review
Their baked goods are really of the highest quality. The beutebrot is a staple in our kitchen and there is no other spot in Moabit we consider when we need baked goods for our breakfasts. The service is friendly and super quick. On top the lovely website just shows the amount of passion the team puts into baking! They approach baking as a true craft and the products reflect it.

+ great sourdough artisan bread + amazingly friendly staff This is gonna be my go to bakery in moabit. I tried their staple sourdough bread with slices of cheese on top. Absolutely wonderful. The crumbs were open and variable in sizes. Good white bread usually has some degree of bounciness to it and the bread here, although a bit more on the bouncy side (imagine the opposite of toast bread which is more floury and fluffy), was very pleasurable in the mouth. Highly recommended for bread lovers!

Bakery
Wiener Brot Wood Oven Bakery, located on Tucholskystrasse 31, is a charming Austrian bakery in Berlin founded by Sarah Wiener. The bakery offers a delightful selection of organic Austrian baked goods, including cakes and granary bread. All the delectable treats are hand-made at their own bakery in Neukolln. The star of the show is their crusty yet soft bread that perfectly complements their other offerings.
A carb-lover's paradise! Their bread is the real star - crusty on the outside, soft and pillowy on the inside, and the perfect accompaniment to everything else. But the magic doesn't stop there! Their spinach quiche is divine - perfectly balanced savory flavors with a flaky crust. And the apple strudel? Oh man, the apple strudel! Flaky pastry overflowing with warm, spiced apples - it's like a hug in a pastry form. This bakery is a must-visit for anyone craving delicious baked goods. You won't be disappointed! ❤️
Vlad B — Google review
Simple, cute, straight to the point! They don't need more than that little storefront and a relatively small collection of not-too-flashy baked goods to convince you that they know what they're doing. Their attention to often-overlooked details like the quality of the cinnamon in the Zimtböller are what allow simple to also be delicious.

Du Bonheur is a charming café and French patisserie located near the Berlin Wall Monument. Founded by Anna Plagens and Stephan Zuber, it offers a delightful selection of delicate French pastries, sweet and savory treats, tarts, and custom-order cakes. The café's name perfectly captures the feeling of indulgence experienced when savoring their scrumptious creations.
Beautiful! Tasty! And pricey. My cappuccino was good, but my friend didn't like his cup of coffee. Beside the cakes they also have sweet pastry ✅ Decaf options ✅ English ✅ Card payment

The desserts are really worth a try, but better for take away. The place is tiny and even if you find a spot, the crowds of people in line make it rather unpleasant to sit there. Especially considering the fact that most of the desserts are 6-8€, I’d expect a nicer setup. The service is rather slow and not particularly friendly. I like that pastry shop so much. Amazing quality, great taste. If you want a real French flavour in Berlin - it’s a place to go! Be careful - it’s addictive. Great with coffee. My personal recommendation is a muss cake with roasted hazelnuts 🍰☕️🌰

Du Bonheur is hands down my absolute favorite patisserie in Berlin! I get my birthday cake from them every single year — it’s become a tradition I truly look forward to. The quality, the taste, the presentation… everything is always perfection. I’ve also started ordering cakes for my friends’ birthdays, and they’re just as obsessed as I am now! Their creations aren’t just beautiful to look at — they’re full of flavor and made with so much care. Whether it’s a classic tart or one of their seasonal specialties, you can really taste the difference. The team is always kind and helpful, making the whole experience even more special. Can’t recommend Du Bonheur enough — it’s a little slice of Paris in Berlin, and it brings me and my loved ones so much joy each year!

I ordered a cake for a birthday. I have to say that, Du Bonheur make one of the best cake in Berlin. The flsvours are perfectly balance and the aesthetic is simply perfect. Last but not least, I just wanna say a big thank you for the person that follow my order.

I recently had the pleasure of trying the pastries at this delightful spot, and I must say, it's a haven for dessert enthusiasts. The desserts are not only delicious but also beautifully crafted, showcasing a perfect blend of flavors. The service was exceptional, with a friendly and attentive staff that added to the overall positive experience. The atmosphere was cozy, providing a welcoming ambiance for enjoying sweet treats. What's even better is that all this comes at reasonable prices, making it a fantastic value for the delightful indulgence. Highly recommended for anyone with a sweet tooth!

I visited this pastry shop this morning, hoping for a quick breakfast treat, but I left feeling really disappointed, especially considering the price I paid. The seating was extremely limited, a small bar with only three cramped spots inside and just two tables outside, which felt unwelcoming in the cold. To my surprise, there’s an extra charge for dining in; for example, the almond millefeuille went from 6.30 euros to 7.06 euros if you choose to sit down. This surcharge applies to all their pastries, which felt unnecessary given the minimal and uncomfortable seating options. The coffee didn’t help redeem the experience, with milk that was over-foamed, lacking that smooth, creamy texture I expected. The almond millefeuille, which I was looking forward to, also didn’t live up to expectations. The cream was too soft, with a strong marzipan flavor that masked any true almond taste. For the price, I was expecting a more balanced and refined pastry. The pain au chocolat was standard but not memorable, certainly not worth the premium. Overall, while this shop might be okay for a quick takeaway, it didn’t live up to expectations for a quality pastry experience. The added charge for sitting in, combined with the uncomfortable seating, made me feel that my money was wasted. I left disappointed, feeling that the experience was far from worth the price.

Nestled in the heart of Berlin, Du Bonheur is a charming French patisserie that transports you to the streets of Paris with its delectable treats. Among its many culinary delights, the macarons stand out as a true masterpiece. These delicate confections are a work of art, with their smooth, colorful shells and perfectly balanced flavors. Du Bonheur offers a wide variety of macaron flavors, from classic combinations like chocolate and raspberry to more adventurous options like pistachio.

Bagel shop
Fine Bagels, located within the Shakespeare & Sons bookstore in Berlin, has been serving top-notch New York-style bagels for nearly a decade. The bagels are hand-rolled, boiled, and then baked to perfection, resulting in a glossy exterior and a chewy yet soft interior. Customers can enjoy them fresh on the spot or take a batch home to savor later.
Love this store! Super local and cozy. There is a huge selection of bagels to choose from and a few pastries on display. The bagels are fresh and the cream cheese fillings is always plenty. We took The Goat, Dill Fancy Cream Cheese which were both classics done well. The Sticky Goat was a personal favourite, and The Onion which was our least favourite, as I would’ve preferred a slightly sweeter onion chutney. We also took the cheese danish, but it was nothing special. Though still would be come back!

EDIT: once i saw the response from the owner, i had to change my review to 1 star instead of 3. imagine insulting customer's parents for writing a constructive and fair review. so unprofessional and rude, i am truly shocked. chic, cozy cafe & bookstore with a wonderful, kind and helpful staff. ❤️ the bagels themselves are sooo amazing, though the whole dish ('hummus 3') just.. wasn't it. it was kinda under-seasoned, and the side salad...? just a bunch of arugula with two slices of cucumber. i am sure you can do better than this. 🥲 the ambiance & service are great, making it a pleasant spot to unwind. however, it would be better if the food had some improvements to match the overall experience 💗

Really good bagels. I’ll go there again! Service is fast and good. Bagels are toasted and fresh. We took a seat outside and enjoyed our bagels on a Sunday noon. They accept card payments. Parking is a bit hard to find around. Mostly paid streets.

Superb! ⭐️ The bagles are the best i've ever had, making every other bagle I've eaten at other lunch spots below average at best. The spreads are tasty and generously portioned. The coffee is great, just like the atmosphere!

BEST BAGELS IN TOWN! I wish I lived in Berlin so I could go here all the time. The lax bagel (Meshka 3) with fig is soo good. Wish they were bigger hihi…😊 Hard to find a table om Sunday afternoon but after a bit I of wait we could sit down. Also tried the cheese danish bun, so tasty!
Mimmi — Google review
The main dish – the bagel – was amazing. I had an Everything Bagel with their homemade hummus and some vegetables. They didn’t skimp on the hummus, which I really appreciated. As a sweet treat, I went with the recommended cinnamon roll – also amazing: sweet, fluffy, and perfect for a light morning bite. Tip: Drizzle some honey on top! Unfortunately, the coffee didn’t match the quality. I had an espresso, which tasted very sour and didn’t pair well with the meal. So I wouldn’t recommend it. Everything was around 13.50€ Overall, a lovely, charming little place with a great breakfast vibe. Enjoy!

Fine Bagels has been on my to-go-to list for so long. The last time I was in Berlin, we went around 10am which was way too late as it was incredibly busy and we had no chance of getting a seat. This time I came just before 8.30am and there was barely anyone around. I got an onion bagel with cream cheese and extra avocado as well as an English Breakfast tea. The bagel was fresh and absolutely delicious. The combination with the cream cheese and avocado is so simple but sooo good. Even the breakfast tea was amazing (which is rarely the case in Germany in my experience). I ended up taking two bagels to go (honey oat and egg poppyseed) which I cannot wait to try later on. I paid €15 for everything which might seem a lot at first but actually isn't. The lad behind the counter was lovely and very friendly. Overall, the 7am wake-up call was definitely worth it and I'll be sure to visit again the next time I'm in Berlin.

Meshka 3 with chive on everything was good. Any bagel shop worth its salt has a good lox bagel with all the fixins. This place is hyped up and very popular and I would say it meets the hype. Didn't blow my mind, but it was good. Cold brew was a bit weak. feels like it could use some more time steeping. Service is good. Atmosphere is good.

B bakery Bekarei GmbH is a highly rated bakery in Berlin with delicious pastries and breads. They are open during the lock down period so you can still get your hands on some of their amazing baked goods.
Food is delicious. Went multiple times already. My Portuguese friend also approves. Through the open door you can look into their bakery and see how freshly it's made. All in all a great spot.
Nils O — Google review
I really enjoy this place for its Portuguese desserts, especially the Pastel de Nata, which is one of my all-time favorite treats. While it might not serve the best natas compared to what I’ve had in Portugal, they come pretty close. The main challenge is getting them fresh since they don’t bake them throughout the day. You have to be really lucky to grab a freshly baked one, as that’s when you can truly appreciate the flavor. The ones in the picture look great, but because they weren’t freshly baked, they tasted quite average. If you visit early in the morning, be sure to ask if they have freshly baked ones—it's definitely worth trying.
Mazhar H — Google review
I went to bekarei because I heard about the vegan “pastel de nadas“. I came back every day for the coffee, which was delicious and only 2,70€ for a pretty big cappuccino with oatly that was made by the very friendly staff. I wanted to take home some bread but unfortunately it gets delivered by 9am or later and that was the time my train departed, so I only took some pita which were also amazing. But I’ll definitely come back to this little gem on my next trip to Berlin to get another coffee and to finally try some more food. Thank you to the nice woman who started to smile every time I came in after I came a few days in a row.
Julie K — Google review
It was a suggested to me as I am Portuguese and I needed to try it. Despite the scaffolding the outdoor sitting was fully occupied and the vibe was good. Inside it got even better as I saw the glass display with all the sweets and savoury options. We came for the bola de Berlim and we saw some mini ones, they also had bola de arroz, pastel de Nata(obviously), pão de Deus, tosta mista, bolo de Bolacha,… Hard to pick really. The fredoccino was good and the pastel de Nata Brasileira as well(because I have never heard of it, I had no expectations) but it would have been nice if there was the option of French croissant and not only the brioche one(the fiambre was very good). The pastel was flacky but I couldn’t taste any egg. It’s not like Portugal but I would return to try the other items and order a cold Ucal.

Authentic Portuguese/Greek bakery with beautiful tasty pastry, bread, and coffee (galao is wonderful). The Natas are one of the best I have ever tried! Everything tastes delicious and fresh. The service is wonderful and staff is very friendly. For Portuguese, it feels like home. For non-Portuguese, a perfect way of trying the flavors without flying. Definitely recommend! p.s. they also have home-delivery, more info available on their website.

Siebert Bakery is a family-owned bakery that has been open for over 100 years in Berlin. The current owner, master baker Nils Siebert, is the great-grandson of the original founder. Each morning, twelve types of bread are baked fresh in the small kitchen behind the shop. It's a reassuring experience to know a bakery has been family-owned for four generations.
Small cute bakery with tasty freshly baked cakes and bread as well other pastries. Everything I have tried was delicious… they never disappoint. I have also never seen this bakery empty. It’s always busy and sometimes you‘ll even find a queue. There’s seating inside and outside. If you find yourself in the area, do pay them a visit.

Might be my favorite bakery in Berlin. So friendly a staff, such a fantastic range of baked goods, breads, cakes, and there's not the unreasonable hype of so many Berlin bakeries! The bread is wonderful sourdough and the prices are still reasonable. I love this place, I'll become a regular.

A classic family run bakery. One of the oldest in Berlin. They put out high quality baked goods and sandwiches. This place is super traditional don’t expect anything fancy or new they bake what you’d find 20 years ago. Come here for a rustic sense of what Berlin used to taste like. Also their bread is amazing perfect for making sandwiches and dipping in hummus. Not my fav sweets but I can appreciate the quality and care they put into their food.

Utterly in love with this place and looked forward to coming back every morning, especially loved the sesame ham & cheese pastry, dulce de leche, and apple&pear chausson - buttery, flakey yet not too sweet. Some of the best I've ever had the pleasure of sinking my teeth in. I'll be reminiscing about these for years to come.

Honestly the best croissant you could find in Berlin. Don't wait to be seated, find your own tables and order at the bar or the bakery window.
Niu N — Google review
Much better sitting outside that inside, where it's a little depressing. Coffee is good. Quick service and polite but impersonal. Both sweet and savoury options. The carrot cake was too lemony for me but tasty. The coffee I must admit, really good.

Best breakfast in Germany so far :) the price is very fair, I couldn’t believe the price and we got very good portion of food. Cappuccino is also not machine made but good one (shame on me forgot taking a picture). It’s crowded but there are enough places available outside, the service is very quick and friendly. Definitely come back!!
Ma S — Google review
La Maison is a beautiful spot with polished pastries, but the taste falls flat. Croissants lack butter depth, the baguette is dry, and nothing delivers that unforgettable moment of flavor. Prices are at least double what you’d pay in France for quality that wouldn’t impress a typical French boulangerie. More style than substance. I’m very sorry to say this because I miss…..🥹

Round & Edgy is a must-visit spot in Berlin for cookie lovers. The store offers a wide variety of creative and classic cookies, including the popular chocolate chip with sea salt. Customers also rave about the decadent salted caramel banana pudding. The vegan options are particularly appealing, with warm and delicious cookies available for pickup through services like TooGoodToGo. Visitors appreciate the friendly service and enticing cookie scent that fills the store.
Probably the best cookies I’ve had here. Let’s just say once you go thick you don’t go back. The blueberry cookie is sublime in terms of taste, texture, and flavor. I appreciate that it’s not too sweet. Nonetheless, recommend very delicious, soft in the middle oozing with flavor cookies. 1 cookie is 4.50
Jean D — Google review
Amazing vegan cookies. I got four of them and I can't pick a favourite, they were all really good. I wanted to go back and try the ones I didn't get the first time but I was not able to. On the attached picture the top one to the left is the classic chocolate chip, to the right is macadamia and caramel, bottom left is blueberry crumble and bottom right is some sort of ultimate chocolate, I don't recall the exact name.
Tomas S — Google review
I love their cookies and I love that everything is plant-based, and their coffee and matcha are always consistently good. The cookie I had on my last visit, however, was underbaked — the dough inside was still quite wet, which was disappointing. I also wish they had more seating options, and it would be great if dine-in orders were served on real dishes instead of paper. That said, the overall quality and concept are great, and I’ll definitely be back.
Ani S — Google review
Best cookies ever! I used to give that crown to Levain Bakery in NYC and now this took its place. The entire shop smells like cookies, it’s amazing. We went on a Monday afternoon and they didn’t have the banana pudding, will go back again for it. A box of 4 is 17Euros and there was a short line, worth it!
Portia K — Google review
Very tasty not overly sweet cookies and cute space. Honestly one cookie is too much to eat at once. There are not so many seats indoor.
L C — Google review
a truly exceptional cookie and matcha. cookie was warm and slightly gooey in the center but crisp on the outside with a really buttery flavor. don't let the size fool you this cookie is rich and heavy and definitely worth the money. matcha was surprisingly nice quality smooth and strong.
Ray J — Google review
We ordered the Choc Nut Cookie, the Chocolate Sea Salt Cookie, and the Banana Pudding. We’d been once before and loved the cookies so much we had to come back — this place is quickly becoming our favorite cookie spot in Berlin. We’ve tried Levain Bakery in New York and Delambre Bakery in Paris, and honestly, this is as good as it gets. The cookies are top-tier: crunchy on the outside with a beautiful crust, and soft, gooey perfection on the inside. The freshness of the ingredients really stands out — the chocolate is rich and flavorful, and I still can’t believe they’re vegan given how indulgent they taste. They’re dangerously addictive — once you start, it’s hard to stop. 👅 The banana pudding was another highlight — fresh, creamy, and even better than the one I had in New York. Service was okay, the interior has a cool vibe, and while €4.5 for a cookie is on the pricier side, the quality makes it worth it.
Jean C — Google review
I can’t get over them Perfect amount of sweet n salty, vegan aswell You don’t get a sugar rush as u might expect, but actually wanna get 10 more cookies These cookies will be my roman empire So good. Im recommending all of them - honestly amazing My taste buds miss the flavours, and they were not expensive for the way they taste- 4.5 worth it. Also placed in a chill cozy neighbourhood and the inside smells like the best nostalgic bakery

Originally from Portugal, empanadas are popular throughout South America. The shop in Berlin is known for its authentic and delicious empanadas, made in a small and charming place with friendly service. While prices may have increased, the quality justifies it.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I walked in hungry and walked out in love. I tried the Pollo Crema empanada and it was so good I ordered a second and even I forgot to take photo of my plate “for scientific research.” The creamy chicken with mushrooms made me believe life has meaning again. Empanadas are really good, although a bit small for the price. There's plenty of options to choose from, including some vegetarian ones. They're good as a snack, and you can definitely tell they're homemade. Spicy sauce is nice but you'll have to pay extra.
L S — Google review
Everything is fresh, handmade and so so delicious. They sell very quickly, but honestly the 8 minute wait for fresh ones is really not that bad. People are so impatient and don't have enough empathy to really see what this place is doing. I've always loved Fugazetta, so rightfully, I bought two without hesitation. AND they deliver! which is dangerous lol. I'll be here regularly!
Dayna P — Google review
Great cafe with good variety of Empanadas. Super friendly staff, amazing combination of fillings. Some empanadas may look small, but usually it means they are on the heavier side. Besides, it's an opportunity to try different fillings 😁 Update: it's been 4 years since my first visit and they are as good as back then. Love the fact that the quality didn't drop at all!

They are SO delicious. Plenty of veggie and vegan options, perfectly stuffed and perfect dough/condiment ratio. The place is tiny if you want eat in ( two tables and a couple of stools by the window/kitchen). They do traditional recipes and some more adaptable to a European taste and different kind of diet. Awful service. The lady who served our group of 6 at a Saturday lunch should not work in hospitality at all. Incredibly rude and not trying to make an effort at all. In addition to her bad attitude, she mixed up our order and did not feel the need to do anything about it. Her colleague has not been much better. Shame, because the place is pretty nice and the food was good. However, the overall experience suffered because of the staff. Not recommended.

Super close to the TU Berlin campus and adjacent to the line of restaurants and hotels on the street behind the place! I would recommend visiting right when they open in the morning since there’s no crowd, the breads and coffee are super fresh, and the sunlight hits all the right spots. It gets busy very quickly and the morning staff are super lovely. I don’t read or speak German so it was chaotic for me to order, but on most days I was helped methodically by the staff. A big hug to them for making my mornings easier! Their soup of the day, coffee and croissant collection is highly recommended. Wish I could have tried one of the big breads on display.

The bread is good, but staff is mostly unfriendly and most importantly, the food served is not at all what one would expect. Ingredients are NOT top quality, they serve salad that is already old and yellow on dirty tables... and every time We have eaten there (3 times in total) we have gotten a stomachache afterwards. Maybe they are not following proper hygiene standards or I don't know... but it's definitely strange to always get sick after eating there ! We had given it the benefit of doubt two times... but after today, definetly never again.

Nice place, good food. We just stumbled upon it after long day exploring Berlin, and they give us a table even though they had reservations. Waiter was very helpful and accommodating
Leonid T — Google review
Given the ratings and Michelin reputation, we were really looking forward to trying this place. However, we found the place to be lacking in atmosphere, the front-of-house person felt rather unwelcoming, and the food and hygiene were frankly below par. The food looked really good (see photos), but did not deliver on taste or consistency. For example, my poularde breast was overcooked and a bit tough. My partner's wine glass smelled of wet dog(!) and, on observing the kitchen staff, the chefs were not focused, joking around a lot, I saw them eating from ingredients while preparing, with dishclothes thrown over their shoulders, and wiping their hands on their clothes. Over-rated, distinctly average, would not go back. Would be 3 stars except for hygiene concerns.
Plain T — Google review
It's an upscale place with great food and attentive, friendly service. It offers a small menu of simple but well executed dishes, mostly classics. Seasonal menu is great but my personal highlight was the salad of regional Mozzarella, veal and lime-estragon dressing, could've ordered this for desert again 😋

Wonderful dining experience. The restaurant has an excellent ambiance balancing higher end dining and a casual affair. The dishes were fresh and extremely well prepared. Would highly recommend dining here! One of the best meals I've had in Berlin. The service was excellent too, our server was sweet and charming the entire evening.

We had a lovely time at this Austrian quisine restaurant. We sat outside, service was friendly and efficient. Both main courses - I had the day's fish fillet - were great, nice portions too. The dessert (the classical kaiserschmarrn with marillen) was fantastic. Bread is made here too, and the coffee was tasty, so all in all a very pleasant dinner, and eventhough for Berlin somewhat pricy, you get the feeling that you got a fair return.

When I saw the Michelin sign outside the restaurant my hopes was raised. Unfortunately it didn’t meet the expectations. Not very big menu but the starters and desserts are good there are cheese alternatives in both which was good, the Apfelstrudel also looks good. The mains are just a few and most of us had the Schnitzel and I wasn’t thrilled at all. I would say it was ok but not more.

Endorphina is a bakery in Berlin that produces healthy and delicious baked goods. The bakers are proud to teach their apprentices the art of baking, passing on their knowledge and traditions in a thoughtful way. This charming bakery is located in a peaceful courtyard, and has a great selection of baked goods to choose from. The coffee and baked goods at Endorphina are definitely worth trying out!
A nice place to have a cappuccino! Also they made bread of all sorts and offer really nice meals with eggs and salad. I loved that it’s inside the block and far from the street. There are toys for children so if you want them to play and get lost 😂 also play with other children as well! Quiet and friendly.

Bread and other baked goods are more expensive than they probably should, but the place is really nice, specially outdoors. It’s one of these cafes that feel quite local and it seems to be specifically designed for parents with young children. On the plus side, nothing is ever too sweet. The scones and cinnamon buns are really good

One of the best places to go for a drink or eat something, really delicious! The pionono with dulce de leche is a delight!!! Highly recommended! The staff is super nice! 🥰💫👌

Unfortunately I had the worst Cappuccino with oat milk of my life.. I don’t know if it was the coffee, the milk or both but something was definitely burned while making and it left the most bitter taste in the mouth. Very unfortunate for a 3.50 EUR coffee 😕
Giz K — Google review
Vey nice place, seems like abandoned factory and you can see really interesting machines around, the families with children also love this place, so if you are ok with child noise you can prefer, breakfast was really yummy and foods are always fresh, they have nice coffee but they don’t have bread cutting machine.

Quality of the pasties is great if you like bio and sustainable. There is also some lunch (Mittagstisch) options, staff is friendly, the croissants are also vegan if you like. Nice Berlin courtyard if you like to sit. Cash less pay possible now!

Beautiful place in the second backyard, very peaceful in the middle of the city (easy to oversee, look out for the sign). Nice selection of baked good - couldn’t decide and went for cookie, cinnamon bun and chocolate croissant ;) All tasted very well, liked the cookie (big and crisp, not gooey) especially!

Would not go back there again! Full of wasps everywhere, they don’t even warm up the food, service isn’t great either - there are much better cafe than this!

In addition to traditional offerings, the bakery caters to those seeking kosher and vegan options, such as vegan chalot and Nussecken. Tasty pastries cakes and cookies of choco nut and fruit varieties - just sampled an early morn caf and that is yummy as well. Reasonable pricing means this can easily become habit forming.

If you look for cakes, bread or cookies that are kosher AND vegan, this is the place to go. I love getting their vegan chalot for Friday night, I adore the vegan Nussecken and all comes for a normal price. Moreover it's way better than any stuff you can get in a supermarket. Fresh, mostly organic, and for sure amazing. Keep in mind: cash only.

Excellent bakery, selling Challes, bread, delicious cakes and perfect croissants. Certified kosher! (The coffee is just like anywhere else in Berlin: Not my cup of tea.)

What a joy as tourists to be able to get challah and hamentashen for our stay. And a big thank you to very kind staff member who made sure we were only getting the kosher pastries. She even made sure we got a paper cup for our coffee. Can't wait to eat the challah tonight!

SIRONI is a bakery known for its delectable pastries and bread in Italy. Their pistachio-filled croissants, known as brioche in Italy, are highly recommended. For those who prefer savory options, they offer ham, cheese, and sometimes chickpea-farinata filled brioches. Additionally, their airy and moist focaccia made from Northern Italian flour at Markthalle Neun is a must-try snack any time of the day.
If you find yourself at Markthalle Neun, do yourself a favour and stop by Sironi for some truly delicious homemade pizza. At just €5 per slice, it's not only tasty but also a great value, especially for the quality. We tried both the Salamino and the Margherita slices and asked them to warm them up and cut them into three so we could share. The staff were super friendly and happy to do it for us. Both pizzas were absolutely bursting with flavour — the Salamino had just the right amount of spice and richness from the cured meat, while the Margherita was simple but so well executed, with a fresh tomato base, melted mozzarella, and that perfect chewy-crispy crust that only comes from good dough and a proper oven. You can really tell this is authentic, handmade pizza with quality ingredients and care in the preparation. The dough was a standout for us — light, airy, and just the right amount of char on the bottom. It’s the kind of pizza that doesn’t need a pile of toppings to impress. Definitely a highlight of our visit to the market and something I’d come back for again without hesitation. If you're at Markthalle Neun and wondering what to eat, Sironi is 100% worth it.
Celine L — Google review
Lovely looking produce, quick service. Decent price. Opted to have the slice warmed, would have preferred it to be s bit warmer though. Saying that the base was delicious and crunchy. The salami used is delicious.

Good pizza, only a few minutes waiting time on a busy Saturday. The pumpkin and pancetta slice was nice but could’ve been improved with a bit longer in the oven.
Tom B — Google review
I actually love that place and I would gladly turn this review into 5 stars if you remove the automatic tipping option. When paying by card, you are presented first with a screen asking you to leave a tip unless you press for the "No tip" button. This is a bakery. You wait in line to pick up your products yourself. There is no reason why a tip should be required. No one wants to bring in Europe the American systematic tip culture.
Romain T — Google review
Absolutely fantastic bread and the pizza 🍕 is amazingly delicious 🤤 can’t wait to get another slice. It’s now one of my most favorite pizza slices in Berlin. Highly recommended shop. Staff is also very friendly and funny.

I usually love the pistachio croissant, but this time it was a real letdown. As you can see, there’s barely any pistachio cream inside. They used to be filled to the brim—what happened?

We stopped by Markthalle Neun to get a taste of local life 🤩 I couldn't help but notice people queuing up for this pizza by the slice, and oh my goodness, it was delicious! Freshly prepared, simple and aaah🤤 Alsooo, I only drink rhubarb lemonade, eat rhubarb desserts, and even drink rhubarb wine when I'm in Germany 🤤 I adore anything rhubarb

House of Small Wonder is a trendy spot in the heart of Berlin, known for its Japanese-inspired brunch and pastries. The stylish and airy setting features reclaimed wood and house plants, creating a seriously Instagrammable atmosphere. This renowned restaurant has gained popularity since 2015 with its subtle Japanese twist on brunch items, such as wasabi-infused Hollandaise on their version of eggs Benedict.
House of Small Wonder is a charming and beautifully designed restaurant. On a nice day, the outdoor seating is a must — it’s spacious, comfortable, and partially shaded with an overhead canopy if the sun gets too intense. The menu offers a thoughtful variety of sweet and savory dishes, many with Asian-inspired flavors and ingredients. We tried the avocado toast, which was elevated with hints of sesame oil and a sprinkle of seaweed — a creative twist that added great texture and familiar, comforting flavors. The Cobb salad was equally impressive, packed with fresh, vibrant ingredients. The staff were lovely and attentive, adding to the relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. A wonderful spot for a leisurely brunch or a peaceful meal in the city.
Jessica M — Google review
One of Berlin’s hidden gems. The restaurant has an absolutely stunning backyard. It’s possible to find a cozy table on Sundays, but it’s better to book in advance. The hospitality is fast and very friendly. The food is interesting and, I would say, unique — somewhere between Japanese and American cuisine. Even if you order just desserts, they are nice and delicious. The main dishes are good too. I’ve already visited this place twice. I will definitely bring my friends here to show it to them.

Unusual Japanese restaurant set inside an old school. Food was so good! They had a copy of their recipe book for perusal, and I enjoyed flicking through it between courses. (Did I mention that I'm a chef?) I'm in Berlin rather a lot and I will definitely be back here.

One of the best places I've been in Berlin. If usually we eat VERY well in this city, House of Small Wonder was still one of my favorites. The beverages and food are high quality, and very tasty. As usual, there are great choices for vegetarians and vegans, and I would definitely recommend the Vegan Soboro. It was such a pleasure to eat in a beautiful garden under the sunlight. Honestly a great experience, with correct prices.

Not sure why the reviews seem so low. We’re here quite often and each time the food has been great. Portion size is quite good, quality is great and service even better. I definitely wouldn’t want the quality to go down just to appease price.. The environment is cozy outside and inside. I love the quirkiness and subtly. Obviously- we’ll be back.

My friends and I had a fantastic time at this restaurant. The ambiance was welcoming, and the vibrant decor added to the overall charm. We started with delicious pancakes and of course some coffee, followed by refreshing happy hour drinks. It’s the perfect spot for catching up with friends. The staff were friendly and attentive, making the experience even more enjoyable. ❣️

Best place in Berlin! The pancakes were on another level. I had the strawberry pancakes with white chocolate, and it was a true culinary festival. My chicken & waffle was absolutely magical, a perfect harmony of sweetness and savory flavors. The atmosphere was fantastic, with stylish décor that blends vintage charm and modern café vibes. It feels both cozy and vibrant, perfect for a relaxed meal. The staff were professional and very polite. Highly recommended!

Great place to eat breakfast all day long and read books 📚🤓 I ordered the eggs Benedict with bacon and it was scrumptious. I also had a fresh squeezed orange juice and an Americano. I am kinda a coffee snob and I can honestly say the coffee was great! The servers speak German and English and there is plenty of seating for a coffee date or a family outing for brunch. Also no issue with finding a parking spot which can often be an issue in the city. Last note, if you are looking for a place to work on the laptop they have internet which you can connect to 👍
Rebekah J — Google review
This is a review of the take-away bake and coffee shop only. Looks fabulous but looks can be deceiving. Coffee americano in a little floppy paper cup tasted weak, and the pain au chocolate is a great looker and expansive but doughy and stale.
Piet Z — Google review
We found this place by googling. When we arrived we waited for 25 minutes to be seated. Don't worry, there is a hostess, she tells you how long the waiting time is, and calls you when your table is ready. The waiters are very friendly and professional. They speak English and German. I recommend the Philadelphia Sandwich. It was so good that we went there again the next day. The pictures are from both visits. The pancakes were also very tasty. I highly recommend this place. We will definitely visit it again next time we are in Berlin.
Adrian Y — Google review
The food was amazing, nice cocktails and the waiters were very friendly and professional. The only downside is the long waiting list (plus it's not possible to reserve a table in advance). we had to stand next to the entrance and wait for about an hour before we entered the restaurant. The food and service definitely made us forget the long waiting time, but for future visits, I wouldn't go there on the weekends.

The food variety at this café is truly amazing. You might have to wait for a spot, and it doesn’t matter if it’s at the weekend or during the week, because it’s always busy but it's worth it for the delightful taste of the dishes. The service is exceptional, and the staff are friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about what they do. The "Hello Tel Aviv" breakfast is my favorite, offering a nice variety of choices, and everything is incredibly tasty.

Travelled across the city to brunch here. Small but lovely menu (allergens clearly marked). Great vibe. Friendly staff. The gluten free bread is incredible (nearly sent it back as I thought it must be ‘normal’!). Would thoroughly recommend ♥️

We ordered waffles and the other salted breakfast with egg n avocado you can see in the pictures! The atmosphere is nice American style food too! In my opinion the price could be less compared with the size of portions ✨ but it’s delicious 😋

We tried the cinnamon rosemary pancakes for the first time — fluffy pancakes with cream cheese, rosemary, and maple-glazed apricots, topped with roasted almonds. Such a unique combination, and absolutely delicious! The atmosphere was warm and cozy, especially with the smell of freshly made chai latte in the air. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. A great spot for brunch in Berlin — highly recommended!

Generous portions and good looking and tasting plates. The pancakes are a must if you go there. Coffee also really good and the guys taking us were really nice as well. The only thing we didn’t like was the canele that tasted a little burned. Definitely a place to come back.

I had a fantastic experience at this café! The service was absolutely amazing—friendly, attentive, and made me feel right at home. I ordered the French toast, and it was easily one of the best I’ve ever had—delicious. The coffee was just as impressive: rich and smooth. Whether you're stopping in for a quick cup or a relaxed brunch, this place is a gem. Highly recommended!
Ashwini P — Google review
The beef melt and the french toast were both finger-lickin' good. The portions are relatively small unfortunately which makes it quite pricey (14/15 € each dish) but still have to give 5 stars for the taste.
Alexander R — Google review
Super nice breakfast/brunch place. The food is excellent, prices are good, hosts are very nice. Overall a super nice place. It may be a little bit crowded if you come at high peak times. If you’re around stop by to grab something to eat. A+
Aurel P — Google review
Silo Coffee was such a gem! Although it only opens at 8:30am—which feels pretty late for a coffee shop—it seems to be a Berlin thing. I really enjoyed it here. The matcha was good—not the best I’ve ever had, but definitely better than most in Berlin (which seriously needs to sort out its matcha game… if it’s muddy brown, maybe just don’t serve it!). The avocado toast, though, was excellent. Really generous portion, super flavourful, and reasonably priced. The radish and Swiss cheese on top were great additions that made it feel a bit special. The staff weren’t overly warm or welcoming, and I had to initiate the conversation a bit—but that might just be part of the Berlin vibe? Hard to tell, especially since they were Aussie behind the counter. Either way, I’d still definitely recommend Silo for both the food and the matcha.

Worst coffee I’ve ever had, not even exaggerating, how can you mess up a simple coffee? The hot chocolate below bare minimum, and extremely overpriced. Should’ve went to a McDonald’s to be honest, you will find a decent coffee there at least.

I would only recommend this place for drinks/coffee, as they have some pretty nice options. The staff is also very friendly. However, food is absolutely terrible and quite pricey. I ordered a salmon bowl and not only it tasted really bad, but the rice was not cooked properly and the whole thing was microwaved. Since I am receiving newsletters to give a review, I will. Bar is OK. Nothing fancy compared to other Berlin bars. I booked a table for me and 2 girlfriends last week. We stayed around 1h30, ordered 2 cocktails each. Spent around 40min talking and pacing ourselves before the next round. Suddenly, waitress came and asked us to leave because « her manager booked the table » and said it is in the reservation policy. It is not. I triple checked. Poor customer experience and unprofessional behaviour. We left and went to another place, spent even more and enjoyed our time. Never again. It is not worth the hype.
Rym B — Google review
I love this place, and always come for the best cocktails in town! Always advise all of my friends to try it out. The only thing that I’d recommend is to make the music a bit quieter , you basically spend most of the time screaming, since you can’t hear what’s your friends are saying. I do get when the music is so loud in clubs, but it’s a sitting bar, so people would love to be able to talk to each other. I’d be really grateful if this could be considered by the team. Thank you for your service and cocktails 🍸

Tigertörtchen - Berlin Cupcakes is a charming café located in the Nikolaiviertel, offering a delightful selection of American-style cupcakes and macarons. The shop provides various options including gluten-free and vegan cupcakes in vibrant colors, all beautifully presented. Visitors can also enjoy delicious hot drinks served in an idyllic setting next to a church and a small park.
We discovered it by chance while walking along the renovated medieval streets near the DDR Museum in central Berlin. A friendly staff member welcomed us and explained that it’s famous for its French macarons. We tried a few, paired with a drink, and everything was fresh and delicious. Perfect for a quick snack. Highly recommended.

We passed by this place just as they were closing up for the evening, and even though the lights were already off, the display window still caught our eye. Something about it pulled us in, so we popped inside to ask if we could still get something to go. To our delight, we were warmly welcomed – no problem at all. Side note: the service here is consistently fantastic. We went for a box of six and didn’t regret it. A beautiful mix of indulgent cupcakes – from espresso martini and caramel to dark chocolate and peanut butter – plus a fantastic little sponge cake, made it a delight from the first bite to the last. Each piece felt thoughtfully crafted and well-balanced. We actually came back the very next day during our short Berlin stay to try more – including some of the macarons and other temptations from the display. The price-performance ratio is absolutely on point. For Berlin, and especially for this level of quality, it’s a total win. By the time we picked up our second box, the place was packed with a lively, diverse crowd – and rightfully so. Tigertörtchen has earned a permanent spot on our Berlin food map. If you’re into creative, fairly priced sweets served with a warm smile, you’re in the right place.

One of our favorite places to be in Berlin! The cupcakes are really good, although each location of that brand has a different selection, which makes it difficult to get only the ones you like. The service was really good and the staff is being trained well. The area is nice and the possibilities to sit very comfortable. Sadly they do not have a toilet, which is not nice if you want to have a longer brunch and especially if you like to drink more than one drink.

Restaurant
Tak Tak, a delightful Polish deli nestled near Rosenthaler Platz, is a must-visit for anyone craving authentic Polish street food. This charming spot offers an array of traditional dishes, including the beloved pierogi—dumplings that come in various flavors like beetroot and beef or potato and mushroom. The atmosphere feels homey, as if someone has lovingly prepared the meals just for you.
I was with a friend in a wheelchair, we managed to get in even though it is not a place for disabled people. Very Simple menu. The food was good at least baguette with sausage, mushrooms and cheese. The lady serving speaks 3 languages very well Polish German English

A very pleasant spot for pierogies or their selection of polish street food. Feels like someone made it for you from their home. The person behind the counter was always pleasant, with a warm smile and helped explain for a non German speaker. Also allowed mixing pierogies which was a nice touch. Highly recommended for the area!

Such a great quick bite to eat. My fiancée and I (she’s Polish) came here for dinner and ordered a glass of barszcz, 2 servings of the gross (10 pierogi) with half of the first being beetroot pierogi and beef pierogi, and the 2nd portion being half potato pierogi and half mushroom pierogi. All of these were beautiful. Props to the only gentlemen on tonight (19/09) for doing the best he could with our massive order. Tak Tak is a must.

Tak tak is a cozy little polish restaurant in Berlin. The polish food is very good! The pierogis are really nice. Friendly staff and fast service
Emma V — Google review
It's a cool small place to get some Polish street food. We got borscht with pierogi, pierogi Mix (potato and Sauerkraut 5 each) and the pizza baguette (Wurst). One thing to note is that the bortsch doesn't have anything in it other than pierogi. It's just the liquid/stock so keep that in mind before ordering. Pierogi were quite nice and perfect to eat at a nearby park. The highlight was definitely the pizza baguette. I would 100% return for that.

Affordable comfort Polish food right in the MIDDLE of Berlin. 100% go for it! Worth every penny spent. spinach and beet root pierogis were my personal favourites but I’ll recommend the mixed platter. I’d definitely keep going again.

Poffertjes en Pannekoeken is a cozy cafe in the heart of Hollandische Viertel, attracting both locals and tourists with its Dutch specialties. The place offers a variety of poffertjes and pancakes that resemble the local delicacies. However, some visitors have noted that while the food is good, it may not be entirely authentic Dutch cuisine. Despite this, the restaurant's ambiance and culinary offerings make it a popular spot, especially during peak hours when reservations are recommended.
The food is amazing. We went with our kids and they loved the crepes and the Poffertjes. We were positively impressed by the Pannekoeken. Service was friendly and fast. We are planning to go again.

Great food, great vibes, great drinks, pretty expensive. Recommend the hot chocolate and the sweet pancakes are better than the savory.

A Dutch cafe in this area is a must visit. So special and delicious. Very filling!!! There was no room for dessert;)
Anja M — Google review
If you're longing for some Dutch poffertjes, then I'd say skip this place, they're a bit too soggy compared to the original/authentic ones. Also, there should be more powder sugar on it. Pannekoeken don't look like the original but their taste is way more on point. Quite the entertaining decoration and it was nice that there was no music playing.
Hayat E — Google review
This was a great breakfast cafe. The pancakes were delicious with a very unique texture. I tried the Dutch stroop syrup as well which was rich with flavor. Also high on the list was their iced herbal tea with an amazing blend of flavors. Would love to come back and explore the menu further.
Chris K — Google review
For Tourists- yeah go and try it, why not! Cute place, nice people. But for Dutch people expecting anything authentic- stay FAR away. Except for the imported ‘van Gilse Stroop’ they cannot make one single thing like it’s supposed to be in the Netherlands. Just drive the 6 hours west and enjoy the real thing :) Oh and ‘lekker meisjes’ is both grammatically incorrect and frankly a little offensive.
Ida C — Google review
Very cute and very popular place with dutch cousin. Pannekoeken are interesting dish, plenty of choice with different stuffing, sweet and not sweet. Not sure about veggie options, in many of them was cheese. They accept both cash and cards.

The pancake with corn and spinach was really nutritious and tasty. They offer Dutch hot chocolate made from good quality cocoa. The interior is warm & cosy and the staff is friendly😊. It’s a nice place to drop in while visiting Dutch district in Potsdam☺️.

Nestled in the heart of Berlin, Jute Bäckerei is a charming little bakery and café that specializes in rustic, gluten-free organic delights. This cozy spot offers an array of baked goods including breads, muffins, brownies, and sandwiches—all crafted with care for those with dietary restrictions. The team at Jute Bäckerei is dedicated to accommodating various allergies; they encourage patrons to communicate their needs so they can provide tailored recommendations.
Adorable gluten free bakery! Lovely staff who let us sample a few treats. Hard to find good gluten free stuff in Berlin and I’ll be returning here!
Sarah R — Google review
This is a very cute and cosy little 100% gluten free cafe that would be delightful for reading, or catching up with friends. They have some vegan options too. The staff are SUPER warm and friendly. Even the other patrons - one customer wished me “Guten Appetit” as my food arrived, how sweet! I tried a non-vegan margherita pizza, but I have to say it was just ok. A bit heavy and thick. Good flavour from the sauce though. Perhaps their bread rolls would be better as that is what they are known for.
Yogita M — Google review
I had a nice time here this morning. The cafe is cute with a cozy atmosphere, and there is plenty to choose from! Would return :) Pictured is Choco crossaint and bread roll with jam and cappuccino
Leonie P — Google review
Really disappointing. The brownie is NOT a brownie - it was so bland and dry. Zero chocolate flavour. The cherry slice was alright - more flavour needed again. The apple slice was nice. The bread with the carrot inside was quite good for gluten free bread. The little white bread rolls were super hard / stale. It’s always exciting to find gluten free bakeries but then it’s such a letdown when the produce is not good.
JL — Google review
My favorite gluten free bakery in town. Not only is the bread amazing, but the environment is very welcoming and the staff is incredibly kind and sweet. They have many options, both sweet and savory, for celiacs who are unable to eat oats and try to stay away from buckwheat. I cannot recommend this bakery enough; every time I stop by I dream of working there simply because of how wonderful it is. Majority of the food is vegan as well, unless you ask for non-vegan butter to pair with your bread which is perfect for those with gluten, dairy, and egg allergies! I simply cannot recommended this bakery enough! If you are a big fan of bread but have been disappointed in the past with gluten free options, this is the place that will change your opinion entirely!

Backwerk Berlin Alexanderplatz station is a bakery and cake shop located at Dircksen Street 2, Berlin, Germany. They offer a variety of items including donuts, sweet bread, cakes, and sandwiches with cheese or ham. The oreo doughnut is particularly popular for its fresh and perfectly baked taste. Customers can also enjoy delicious sandwiches and good coffee while seated at the station. The prices are relatively low but the interior design may not be as impressive.
There are many options also for salty breakfast lovers, and they are delicious👌

We were not familiar with the German cuisine and this place really helped our Turkish taste buds.Fresh bread with eggs, cheese, ham is all the way to go!Everything here is fresh and even they serve juices every day. Also they provide a coffee machine for you and it is pretty good.Fyi It is self-service so there is no one to bother so I take some points off. First lunch in Berlin, got recommended this place by ChatGPT since I didn’t know what to eat and had just spent 3.5 hours wandering around Mitte. The hot dog was fantastic and I very much enjoyed the Caprese sandwich too. They have both warm and cold options, which was great because I wanted something warm and filling. A great introduction to German chain bakeries with affordable pricing!

Rather expensive, which was expectable on Alexanderplatz. Food and drinks are really okay, just as everywhere else. The dining area behind was unheated at all in the middle of winter - there was not any warmer than outside. Apparently the stuff like this becomes a norm in Germany. Also no WC for customers.

It is a charming bakery in Berlin that offers a delightful selection of pastries, cakes, and macarons. While their eclairs are undeniably delicious, I found the vanilla flavor to be a bit overly sweet for my taste. The chocolate eclair, on the other hand, was just right.

[Takeaway Review] French bakery with indoor and outdoor seating. The pain au chocolat was divine ✨ I got it right when they were serving a fresh batch and it was soft and buttery on the inside. Also tried the mini tart tatin (love that they do bite sizes!) Excited to try more items.

An absolute delight! The croissants are the most delicious and buttery I’ve ever had. I also tried the pain au chocolat and a macaron, both of which were outstanding. The service was warm and friendly, making the experience even more enjoyable. A true gem in Berlin—highly recommend!

This place has kouign amann (occasionally since they must sell rather fast, but still). The croissants taste like my childhood in a small town in France. Buttery, crispy, soft, silky, delicious. They have a french playlist going on, without it being sterotypical. Just, french music, from the 80's to today. The mood is calm and nice. Please remember to say "s'il vous plaît" and "merci", since the service is really nice. A personal favorite.

Annelies is a popular daytime diner in Kreuzberg, Berlin, known for its creative breakfast and lunch options as well as mimosas and homemade pastries. The cafe has gained a loyal following among locals and expats alike for its excellent brews and wide selection of natural wines. One of its most famous dishes is the buttermilk pancakes with granola, maple berry syrup, and cultured cream.
Great breakfast! Go for the granola and stay for every other dish! Seriously - the lime and raspberry granola was outstanding. And my partner got an asparagus dish for breakfast that was really unique and tasty as well. Fast service and we got there early so there wasn’t any wait. When we left it was busier (11a or so)

Went on a Wednesday early afternoon and didn't need to wait for a table. We got the latte, iced tea, pancakes, and egg, sausage and cheese muffin. Everything was very delicious. The sausage was perfectly spiced and meaty, and the bread was fluffy. Best pancakes ever!
Kyra L — Google review
Annelies makes probably the dreamiest pancakes in the world, and they taste just as good as they look! just make sure to share or it can get a bit overwhelming. the sausage, egg & cheese sandwich was also super tasty and indulgent, though a little on the sweet side with the pancake buns. chill vibes, decent flat white, and I’ll definitely be back, mainly for those incredible pancakes! 🥞
Palaisdeyiyi — Google review
This café is a popular choice when searching for cafés in Berlin, especially for its famous 4-stack pancake. We visited on Wednesday morning before it opened, so we managed to get a table quickly. The atmosphere is inviting, and the service is okay. We tried the famous buttermilk pancake, and it was delicious. It’s crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, almost like Korean hotteok. The cinnamon bun was average, with a doughy texture but overly sugary. The coffee was strong and good. If you’re a pancake enthusiast, it is definitely worth checking out the pancake. But if there is a long queue, I would probably go for an alternative.
Y T — Google review
the food at annelies is very aesthetically pleasing and literally works of art, and it’s a quality place for interesting twists on classic breakfast/brunch food, but i will say it’s a bit pricey for the amount you get. the buttermilk pancakes were stacked high and each one was thick and soft and a bit warm. i absolutely LOVED the combination of cold, fresh cultured cream — which had a smooth, bright dairy flavour — and the thick slice of rich, velvety butter. the slightly sour yet sweet berry compote and the earthy nuttiness of the crunchy granola also added a fantastic touch. the syrup was sweet and sticky, but quite normal. the sausage breakfast sandwich is very .. american tasting??? the egg was super soft, and the pancake was a nice touch because it added a bit of sweetness, but i think the savouriness of the (very thick and juicy!!!!) sausage and the large slice of american cheese made it a little bit too salty. the spicy mayo was sharper in flavour and a bit tangy, but it was also quite salty. it was also quite difficult to eat because of how high it was stacked. i really enjoyed the scrambled egg on toast though — the egg was super silky and the sourdough was crispy on the outside yet super soft on the inside ?!?!? the tangy red sauce on the side was also quite the unique pairing and i liked the little kick it provided.
Katelynn C — Google review
The pancake was great! But the service ruined everything. The person who gave us a table he was great. But We sat down for like 15 mins, no one came to get our order. The one waitress who walked by us several times, served table around us, but couldn’t bother to give us some eye contact or to come and take our order. The people who came in later than us, sat down later than us, got their order taken first, some table got even coffee served already… I am not sure, if this girl had any issues with us?! I mean.. we didn’t interact with her at all, so there shouldn’t be any beef between us? But then .. why?! I had to grab another waitress just to order… Also I heard that they offer a bottle of tap water for free, as we walked in, I did see all the tables have a bottle of water, so I thought okay they do offer that. But of course, for whatever the reason, we did not get that either. Finally this one waitress started to bring our coffee to the table, she came with coffee in her hand and a very weird look on her face. Usually I am not a sensitive person but I started to think she just hates Asians. So in the end they brought the bill and mentioned about tips, I chose “no tips” on the machine because i mean.. NO.

Wow. Now I understand why this cafe is so famous in the neighborhood! I found this place on timeout before visiting Berlin, and it was really the highlight of the trip 😂We are lucky to be there early as there was already a queue before the place is open. Of course, I came here for their well known pancakes. The pancakes were unlike anything I’ve had before — super fluffy, light, and absolutely delicious. You can really taste the quality and care in how they’re made. Coffee is also good I ordered an extra matcha latte to try and it was really good too! Definitely worth the hype and a must-visit if you are in Berlin and love pancakes!

I found this place by accident, and so happy I did! They have the most authentic and delicious sfogliatelle, same taste as you would have in Italy (as I know they have an Italian pastry chef, and it really shows on the quality). This is an authentic Spanish churro place. The owner is Spanish and it’s like traveling to Spain. My tip: order a serving of churros and a large Spanish chocolate. Delicious. Also the ambiance is super sweet and everyone is really nice. The place hasn‘t changed one bit in the past ten years.

Finally got there when they had some (they sell out often) and got 3 flavours to try, listed in order of how they tasted: White chocolate passionfruit Pumpkin spice (seasonal) Raspberry pistachio The white chocolate passionfruit was incredibly flavourful and moist - would definitely get it again. But the others were only okay. I wouldn't go out of my way for them. Kind of dry and a bit bland.

SPRO Scones Bakery & Coffee in Berlin is a delightful spot to enjoy some work on your laptop while savoring delectable treats. The cozy ambiance and excellent service make it a great place to catch up with friends over scones and lattes. The menu offers an array of tempting options, including Salted Caramel Cheesecake, Norwegian and English scone plates, daily sandwiches, cream tea, flat white, chai latte, and more.
Fresh and tasty scones with various dip options. 😋 we opted for the classic one which was so tasty! The drinks were also great, both pumpkin spice latte and coffee. The interior is not particularly cozy, but the ambiance is nice for a little chat break with friends/family. The service was friendly and relaxing. I'd recommend:)

Small space but a nice location to stop for a tea break. Was craving for something plain and lighter on the palette, scones with clotted cream made the perfect fit. Latte was smooth, strong and goes well with scones. Recommended!
Grace N — Google review
Loved it! The plain scone with clotted cream and jam was excellent, just like being back in Scotland. Good coffee too. And charming staff to top it off. Definitely worth the stop.

Such a cute cafe with the yummiest treats and the loveliest staff :) We got the English scones and the Double Cheese Sandwich, and I cannot wait to visit again🤭

Great Scones and wonderful service! We had a great morning with scones at SPRO which tasted amazing. We definitely recommend this place and would love to come back!
David R — Google review
Possibly the only cafe in Berlin that does scones and it does them well. A single scone with very good clotted cream and jam is expensive at 5.90 but entirely authentic. The coffee is better priced at 3€ for an americano and tastes very good.
Harvey W — Google review
The scones were warm and super good!! The atmosphere at the cafe could be a bit more welcoming (busy road outside).

The scones were big, albeit a bit expensive w the clotted cream and jam I felt. Tasted good enough too.

Brunch restaurant
44 Brekkie is a trendy and relaxed cafe with outdoor seating, offering a variety of light brunch dishes and beverages. Located in Kollwitzkiez, this Australian-style brunch spot has gained popularity for its oversized egg drop sandwiches served on brioche bread with a secret sauce. The bright and airy ambiance makes it a great spot to enjoy breakfast while spotting local TV and film stars. In addition to their signature egg sandwiches, they also offer classic brunch options like avocado on sourdough.
Absolutely fantastic egg drops. You may have to queue up since they tend to be quite busy. However, service is usually quick and you should be able to get a seat fairly quickly. The brownie was delicious as well and so was the coffee. The only negative thing about the establishment is that they are cash only which is bonkers for 2025. Just one of those peculiar Berlin things you got to complain about.
Ritwick M — Google review
One of the best things I've ever eaten. 44 Brekkie! The salmon and avocado egg drop is pure perfection! Creamy, fresh, and bursting with flavor. And the bread? Incredible... Crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside, it elevates the whole dish to another level. Every bite was a delight, and you can tell they use top-quality ingredients. Highly recommend this spot for anyone craving a breakfast that’s both delicious and satisfying!
Yusuf E — Google review
The food here is a solid 10/10. It was an absolute gem and I never appreciated eggs as much as I did the day I visited. The atmosphere was quiet and serene and the customer service was top notch. Absolutely recommend 👏

Really lovely breakfast spot with great healthy food and outdoor seating. It can get crowded in good weather so you might need to wait a bit. The food was super good and the service excellent and fast
Teodora M — Google review
I visited 44 Brekkie on a sunny morning in Berlin, and it turned out to be one of those café experiences that just makes you happy — partly because of the food, and partly because of the cozy, unpretentious vibe. I had been hearing about their famous egg drop for a while, so that’s where I started. The portion was generous, with soft, pillowy bread holding together perfectly fluffy scrambled eggs, a drizzle of sauce, and that slight sweetness in the bun that balanced the savoriness of the eggs. It’s simple in concept but felt well thought-out in execution — nothing overcomplicated, just comfort food done right. To go with it, I ordered their iced matcha mango. At first, I wasn’t sure how those flavors would work together — matcha’s earthiness and mango’s tropical sweetness are not the most obvious pairing — but it ended up being refreshing and unique. The mango didn’t overpower the matcha; instead, it gave it a light, fruity brightness that was perfect for a summer morning. Because my sweet tooth can never be ignored, I also went for a croissant and a slice of lemon cake. The croissant had that nice balance of flaky outside and soft, buttery inside. It wasn’t overly greasy, which I appreciate, and had just the right amount of chew. The lemon cake was the real surprise, though — moist, zesty, and not overly sweet. The citrus flavor came through cleanly, making it a great way to end the meal without feeling heavy. The atmosphere at 44 Brekkie is friendly and relaxed. It’s the kind of place where you could easily grab something quick to go, but it’s also comfortable enough to linger with a coffee and watch the Berlin street life pass by. Staff were warm and efficient, and despite being busy, the service felt personal. Price-wise, it’s on the slightly premium side for breakfast in Berlin, but considering the quality and presentation, I’d say it’s worth it. Everything felt fresh, thoughtfully prepared, and presented with care — nothing was rushed out. Overall, 44 Brekkie is a spot I’d happily return to. Whether you’re looking for a creative twist on breakfast classics (like that iced matcha mango) or just want a reliably satisfying egg sandwich, it delivers. It’s a place that manages to be both trendy and genuinely welcoming — and in Berlin’s ever-growing food scene, that’s a combination worth celebrating.
Yushant T — Google review
I have never eaten egg drop before, and I quite liked it. The bacon one could have been better though. In terms of affordability, I find it a bit pricey to have a sandwich for 12 euros, but for a weekend brunch, it is ok.
Berkay A — Google review
The best pumpkin spice latte I ever had, the spice was very present and it wasn’t overpoweringly sweet. Egg drop sandwich was also very good, the bread and sauce were on point.

Restaurant
Frühstück 3000 Schöneberg is a chic breakfast spot in Berlin, offering a sophisticated take on classic morning dishes and seasonal specialties. The interior of the place on Bulowstrasse is triumphantly beautiful, providing an elegant setting for brunch. While reservations are recommended due to its popularity, the staff is friendly and accommodating. The menu features elevated classics like French toast, eggs Benedict, and chicken waffles, as well as a variety of coffee drinks and cocktails.
Everything cooked to perfection. Generous portions presented with pzazz. Successfully creative twists add character making the combinations unforgettable. Attentive service from Ramona was exemplary. Yet everything is unostentatious, the highest quality in a relatively simple ‘cafe’ setting, so altogether thoroughly recommended.
C 1 — Google review
Visited this brunch spot in Schöneberg and found it quite pricey for Berlin standards (€30–35 per person). Ordered a vegetarian burrito and a mixed juice (carrot & ginger)—unfortunately, the burrito was overly salty, and the vegetables lacked freshness and crunch. The juice was fine but not great in quantity. Interestingly, my friend’s dish had the opposite issue—no salt at all. However, the service was warm and friendly, and the ambiance was nice, so that was a plus. Might give it another try, but the food quality needs improvement.
Outlook L — Google review
Very good breakfast / brunch restaurant conveniently located at a big street. Dishes are high quality and tasty, with a big variety. Staff was super friendly, service quick. Prices are upmarket, interior cosy, modern, clean and tidy. It's a very popular place especially on weekends, so better reserve a table well ahead of your visit.
TH3 T — Google review
Ok food, Terrible service. The waitress was rude from the moment she came to our table — for no reason. Up to that point, she had been smiling and cheerful with other guests. She refused to split the bill, claiming that charging the numbers would need a 15-minute reboot. After I insisted on waiting, she left and came back a minute later saying we could pay. The entire process — including the discussion — took 7 minutes. Rude, dismissive, and unnecessarily aggressive, just to despite. The place was almost empty, so it wasn't the issue. I sent them an email about it — no response. The food is definitely not worth €23 — and certainly not worth being humiliated by the staff. I won’t be coming back, and I do not recommend this place.
Itay N — Google review
good establishment, good menu, good dishes. but there was nothing wow. one thing that I didn't really like was that the tartar was heavily covered with sesame oil, so that no other flavors could be felt. Time passed and I came back here. This time I took an potato terrine and extra bread with butter. The butter was 10/10. The bread was not toasted, cool 7/10. But the omelette was hearty, large and perfectly finished. Our waiter was very nice and sweet. The second impression was much better than the first

They have the best Benedict eggs I had ever try. Also the place is decorate in a cute way and the service is really good I totally recommend it!

This place was really spectacular. The chicken 3000 (displayed in the picture) was just outstanding. The staff were very friendly and were happy to explain any questions about the food. The shop looked modern and I had a table close to the kitchen so I could see how some of the meals were prepared. The only negative thing that I could mention about this place is that the caramel-bacon sauce that went with the chicken 3000 was slightly too sweet for my liking. Overall I would give this amazing place a 9.5/10

Been wanting to try this place for a while now! It is a bit more expensive than most but the food is really good, and they have different options that make them quite unique. Pretty good, tasty pizza and yummy appetisers. The pizza is not the best you can find in Berlin but definitely above average. Servers not always fully attentive but are friendly.

I rarely leave food on my plate, especially when it comes to pizza. Unfortunately this one was not up to standards. The dough had a weird flavour, it was chewy and burned at the bottom. However, the service was incredibly quick, the waiters were friendly and the atmosphere was nice. I will not get back though as I did not like the pizza much.

Many fresh pastry options in their small bakery shop next door to the restaurant. Great focaccia. Restaurant is quite big, good pizza, great wine.

I wasn’t sure what to expect from Safran pizza, but it turned out to be an unforgettable experience. The saffron added a subtle, aromatic richness that paired beautifully with creamy cheese 🧀 Come by and try it out
Ekaterina K — Google review
The best pizza place in Berlin. Airy and thin dough, a good amount of sauce and fresh ingredients. Love sitting out on the terrace in the summer.
Alice — Google review
The experience was mixed. The kitchen was working fast and kept the pizzas coming, but the service couldn’t keep up. It felt like there weren’t enough waiters to handle the rush, which made the overall flow a bit chaotic and too fast-paced at times. Ordering via QR code is a great idea to reduce wait times, but it’s surprising that payment isn’t integrated ; enabling it would really streamline the experience, especially if the goal is to optimize service without adding more staff. On the other hand, the card-only payment option at the end is efficient and helps speed things up. I ordered a 4 Formaggi (my usual benchmark for pizzas): the crust was good, but the cheese ratio was way off ; far too much for my taste, to the point that I couldn’t finish and had to take the rest home. The tiramisu was just okay. Despite the chaos, our waiter was very nice and attentive with us. Being seated at the bar, right next to the kitchen, we could sense some tension between the kitchen and the waiters, but I assume it was mostly due to a very busy Friday evening at peak hours. Overall, the food quality is fine, but the service and balance of the dishes could be improved to make the experience more enjoyable.
Emile L — Google review
Return visit after 2 years and the vegan pizza is even better than I remembered. Very well thought out, with juicy chucks of seasonal vegetables and lumps of spicy pesto that mimics salsiccia (in the way it looks) and crispy roasted almonds. There’s really no need for cheese or cream, it’s perfect. The best vegan pizza in Berlin.
Isabella C — Google review
Food Quality: at first i was surprised to see the four cheeses pizza without any sauce, but the combination of the cheeses with the tasty fresh made dough was a very good combination. The dough is very good and the rest of the ingredients tasted quite good. Portions: very good size pizzas Drinks: normal drink options available. Price: $$ not expensive but a bit higher than the regular pizza places. Service: very friendly. Happy they managed to accommodate us without a reservation. Atmosphere: nice big place. Lots of space. Also attached to their own bakery which seems to have very good options as well. Highlights: pizzas are delicious. Things to improve: would have been just a little but more perfect if the pizza was a bit more covered by the cheese Payment Method: cash, cc

Absolutely love this place! There are so many different flavours, that change every month and they have weekly specials too! So far every doughnut I've tried was soft, fluffy and extremely delicious! Some of my favourites are the chocolate hazelnut bomboloni and the binenstich. Highly recommend this place! 🍩 ❤️

It is always such a treat to walk into a place and know you could order absolutely anything on the menu. I have tried four of their donuts so far, and every single one was absolutely amazing. They were fresh, full of flavor, and really well made. I took my donuts to go and enjoyed them in a nearby park, which made the experience even more special. My favorite was the blueberry lemon donut. The bright and tangy flavor was perfect for a summer day. Still, I truly recommend all the ones I tried. You really cannot go wrong here.

Yes, donuts, yes delicious! I would say donuts are donuts whereever you eat them! What makes these donuts stand out a bit is the great variety. Beautiful set up of the shop on the inside, too. I didn't like the luck of space to sit there. Everybody ordered take away. I expected to get inside a better designed coffee place, instead it felt like a tiny fast food place.

I actually discovered Brammibals on instagram before coming to Berlin and was really keen to see if they tasted as good as they looked. They did, the donuts were absolutely delicious. I had the apple crumble with a strawberry matcha and my partner had a strawberry donut with a pink lemonade. The space is lovely. Great music playing in the background. The staff member who served us was also so nice. I was not disappointed and hope to go back at least one more time before we go.

Vegan donuts but a little sweet, suitable for those who like sweet things. For me, the iced matcha latte here is the most delicious I've ever had. Because I went there because I drank matcha 3-4 times. Matcha is the best.

My best friend and I are considering coming back to Berlin just for your donuts. We visited in July and have not stopped talking about the mango sticky rice one. I’m not even a huge donut person but this was life changing. Not oily at all, super fresh, dough is like a cloud, not overly sweet either. Blueberry matcha was amazing as well, had a lovely breakfast there and the girl behind the counter is simply the sweetest. Need to bring a dozen back to Greece 🏃

Had amazing donuts at Brammibals! I must say, as a vegan from the czech republic, where we do not have as many vegan options as here in Berlin (when considering Prague), it made me so happy to be able to enjoy these amazing vegan donuts! We had a chocolate one with a macha strawberry one and it was amazing! The workers were very kind, understanding english and looked very cool as well! I would say that Brammibals donuts might be mi favorite food spot when traveling to Berlin! Truly yummy! Will definitely visit again! Thanks a lot for your work! ^^<3

We arrived here around 4 p.m. and waited about 15 minutes before the server came. We ordered bread and coffee and asked for them to go since we were short on time and we even apologized for the inconvenience. But the male server got annoyed and said he didn’t have time either. Am I supposed to care about his schedule? That was really rude. When we left a tip, he suddenly started acting nice, which felt insincere. That was so rude.

We tried the grilled cheese toast and banana bread — the toast was quite large, definitely enough to share, and the banana bread was very good. Both the matcha and coffee were great quality, and the small patio outside was such a cozy and charming spot to sit. A lovely place for a relaxed break.

Way too expensive for such low quality food and service. Slow service and argumentative barista blaming others for her mistakes. The bread of the grilled cheese was pleasant, but as a whole, it was completely too oily and salty. The bun was too dense and chewy.

I was as surprised as a kid seeing Santa de-beard. It all looks fabulous, and the bread is excellent, as is the coffee. The rest...ok, its hard to make a great gluten free scone. The effort is there, but the rice flour really can't satisfy like wheat can. The sandwiches are really quite poor. If I made that bread, I wouldn't let those cheeses anywhere near it, let alone sell it. The cookie too was really not satisfying at all. I might try some of the other things there, being sure to get all the gluten I can.

Alex M — Google review
Well, food and coffee were very disappointing. Taking into consideration that we were starving and still couldn’t finish anything is a proof. Coffee was a milk with a coffee taste, check the colour on the photo. Grilled cheese was sooooo oily and tasteless! Only rosemary hits you in the face, cheese brings no taste and everything is just dripping and creating a fatty mess. No balance of flavours in it. Cheesecake is not San Sebastián at all, the structure is not as creamy as it should be and the taste is as well very mediocre. Not worthy the hype and very overpriced, only the garden is nice.
Ellie M — Google review
Mostly tasty assortment (some things a little dry) and staff is fine but you have to get your cinnamon and cardamom bun planning in order. We've come three times recently from across town on weekends and you have always been sold out early. As far as I know, no other bakery offers gluten free cardamom and cinnamon buns in Berlin (and they are GOOD)! Please care for this uniqueness accordingly and your customers will stay happy for the longest of time. Thank you!

Maybe because of fact that cinnamon roll was gluten free the taste of it was below average. We got cappuccino wasn’t good at all. I’m a huge fan of specialty coffee and this wasn’t even a coffee it was something similar to coffee. Only nice side of this place is an inner courtyard

Lovely vegan cafe 🍵🫶🏼 We came here for coworking 👩‍💻 and tried the Americano which was really nice! We went to Greenfinch finally after hearing about from some friends. Absolutely amazing is that this lovely looking place is completely vegan!!! Food is really delicious and absolutely stunning! It is not the cheapest place for sure but the portions were good. We took the cheese melt and the pancakes both amazing! The reason for the missing star is the hygiene and generally corona rules. Unfortunately the tables were not cleaned and the stuff wasn’t even wearing the mask. It was a weekday not even the weekend so the place was not super full. I will absolutely go back regardless but I would for sure appreciate to see a bit more attention to hygiene

I ate for the first time at Greenfinch and I loved the energy and the food! I might admit that the sandwich was a bit too fatty for my taste, the bread would have been better to be toasted without the additional olive oil. The salad was yum and I loved the fact that it had plenty of dressing + the mixed veggies and greens, perfect balance 😊 the staff was kind and considerate! I am curious to try their bowls next time they will be in season ✨ Good luck! 🍀 Ps: hopefully I will see in the menu more gluten free options for dessert as well 😌

All of the dishes were flavourful and delicious, and felt like I couldn’t have asked for more… actually we did ask for more, more of their yummy warm sourdough. My cappuccino was also without fault and the staff were friendly and even humorous!

The staff were mega nice and we definitely would come again (& again!)

Hipster cafe in a lovely neighborhood of Prenzlauerberg. The food here is simply amazing and the coffee as well. I had a vegan Chili con carne and absolutely loved it. The food is also presented very well, like art. The cafe has a pleasant vibe and ideal for brunch. The interior isn't very specious so there can be a queue outside most times.

Ihr Meisterbäcker is a bakery in Berlin that sells a variety of traditional baked goods, including gingerbread for Christmas. The bakery is well-known for its excellent breads and pastries.
The shop was decorated in a cute way! Their warm Christmas vibe and the lady made me very happy. I’d like to recommend to visit after it’s dark outside, just because it looks really cute! The baumkuchen is my favorite, but definitely I come back to try others as well!

I came to Berlin from Japan for a visit and was introduced to this store during my stay. The bread I had at that time was a new experience for me in Japan and I was very impressed. Can anyone tell me the name of this bread in German?

I bought six - seven different cake pieces this morning for my colleagues and they were all delicious, super fresh, well presented and very fair prices for the portion! Everyone liked them a lot. Very recommend!

The last bakery in Berlin with very fair prices. 2,60€ for a sesame roll with cheese and salad is crazy these days especially for that quality!!

Not many real bakeries left in Berlin. This one is my favorite and affordable prices too. Various options available. Highly recommended by a bread lover 😊
Ugur — Google review
One year ago I gave 5 stars and the following comment " Best bread in Moabit". Yes I stick to it, the bead is good but not just the bread, the vibe was also good and friendly. As I didn't speak German so well i didn't understand much of what the ladies who sell said to me. But today my friend(she is german) had a terrible experience by one lady in the shop getting angry at her for not saying she wanted to 'eat in the shop'. I too had experienced loud reactions but I didn't really understood it. By a lady with short blonde hair. Who is the owner of this shop? And what kind of ethicate is he putting in by shouting at customers. I found some similar comments in this page and was not answered. No man with any self respect would go there.

Guests rave about the buttery puff pastry Danishes filled with cheesy and veggie goodness.
I was in hurry so I got the chance to try only tomato mozzarella danish and it was delicious and light.. I saw there menu and I will go for more next time. Coffee is good too may be a little bit cold but definitely worth it.

Went over there for a breakfast, I took the egg sandwich and my partner a pulled beef sandwich. They were both ABSOLUTELY delicious (a tad expensive tho) great experience and a good chai latte Also tried a piece of the almond and lemon cake which was also nice

A very cozy and friendly coffee in Berlin near Alexanderplatz. Very nice location and transport conditions. I have been there for twice, both for coffee and cakes. The staff there are really nice and friendly. Coffee and cake are also really good and delicious. They provide different sizes of tables for various functions. The only drawback is that sometimes it’s bit noisy inside, people are talking and laughing. But it’s a cafe, it happens sometimes.
Yuyang P — Google review
I liked this cafe for a nice breakfast or a quick coffee. Had the Turkish eggs and the banana bread I’m and it was super delicious. The eggs were great, the sourdough bread and the flavors were so good. Banana bread was lovely, the vanilla cream and the jam with nuts sprinkled on top was so good. Good cortado!
Alina G — Google review
Friendly barista who was very helpful and knowledgable. Great coffee and a nice atmosphere and space. Didn’t try any food although it all looked delicious. Small terrace in the back to enjoy some sun with some fun sculptures in the air.
Jessie S — Google review
Words cannot start to describe how incredibly grumpy and rude the German bearded person at the counter was today (Sunday morning 21 August 2022). What a horrible way to ruin a perfectly fine breakfast at a gorgeous terrace. Get another job bro! The food is great. And the coffee was excellent. By the way. The rest of staff was great.
Emiel W — Google review
Very tasty big portions and very filling. We took the Breakfast Burrito and the Buttermilk pancakes. Chai latte and Hot chocolate were also delicious!
Claudia V — Google review
Peanut butter cake was very moist and dense, could be a bit more nutty and less sweet. Too many waiters talking behind the counter, plus loud music, so not so relaxing. The table and floor were not entirely clean, hence 3 stars. But other cakes look amazing, would love to try next time.

Weichardt-Brot GmbH is a legendary bakery in West Berlin known for its Kranzstange, a pastry made with Demeter organic methods. The Kranzstange is a chewy and flaky pastry filled with raisins and marzipan, glazed, and traditionally baked in a ring shape. The bakery also offers high-quality bread and pastries made from 100% organic ingredients.
The bread is great, and also the other products. The people working here are nice and they were helpful when I had questions, even though my German is not that good yet. Most importantly, they accept cards!!! It is also nice to go there just for a coffee.

the kind young girl is an angel to all customers. no problem with non-german speakers, she was extremely helpful and sociable and i saw her holding the door for older customers. the croissant and eclair were good and Milchkaffee was great. the atmosphere was warm and friendly with all the staff talking to each other and laughing. 🧡🥐🥖

The best Brot bakery in Berlin! I come here every time I come to Berlin. Luckily I lived close to the bakery around 15 years ago. At that time I bought fresh bread early morning for breakfast. The owner, elderly man, welcomed the guests pleasantly at that time. Now his granddaughter continues the business, I heard. I wish the bakery long success!
Suk S — Google review
This bakery was right around the corner, one of many within three blocks walking distance so I decided to stop in for my morning pastries. The bakery is very warm and welcoming, definitely has the feel of a small country bakery with much more to offer than your typical bakery. The selection is absolutely wonderful, they had many pastries for me to choose from and the presentation of the fresh baked goods scream quality. I was also very impressed to see no flying insects swarming the good as I have seen in other bakeries down the street. I received my pastries and coffee, everything was fresh and delicious. The staff are warm and welcoming, the prices are a bit higher than other bakeries but based on the quality I feel the price point was spot on.

Nothing gluten free, not even a gluten-free and milk-free drink for cacao people with intolerances. Sad for a bio bakery in Prenzlauer Berg.

Horrible croissants! Really really bad- tastes like some combination of undercooked and tap water. I don’t know how they do it - but if you want to try the worst butter croissants of your life go here.
Etel S — Google review
I really want to love this place but I am so TIRED of the staff with their bad moods for reasons that have nothing to do with me. I always say good morning - in German. I politely ask for my order and still the bad attitude I receive has made me finally decide to stop buying bread from this place. I don’t understand why people think it’s ok to take out their bad moods on someone they don’t even know. Ugh. No more of this nonsense.
Katherine D — Google review
They are lovely and they serve always fresh and yummy foods, nice location.
Onur A — Google review
Horrible butter croissant. 100% do not recommend, you’ve been warned! I’ve had a couple of other pastries from there which were ok and the staff were quite friendly hence the 2 stars.
Jade W — Google review
The bagels here are just Brötchen with an accidental hole without any hint of the chewiness you can get from any 'standard' bagel. I wonder if they were even boiled at all before getting sent to the oven? The plums on the Pflaumentorte are refreshing enough but the torte part tastes kind of floury without much butter note. It should be appealing to the health-conscious crowds who would pick '30% less sugar & fat' for any food products, but probably not to the people with a bit of sweet tooth who just want to little treat to brighten a hard day.
Wing-Yat, L — Google review
Looks nice & well decorated but they don’t know a thing about how to make croissants. Sad. A plus is that you can pay by card from €5.

CakesBerlin is an online bakery that has been creating exquisite custom cakes since 2015. Specializing in wedding and special occasion cakes, owner Stephanie Illouz is passionate about making each cake not only beautiful but also delicious. The bakery offers made-to-order cakes, with the Oreo cake being a popular choice among customers. Customers have praised the exceptional customer service and seamless communication when placing orders.
I ordered both my wedding cake and bachelorette cake from cakes berlin. The taste of the cake was good and the cake looked really really nice 🤩 However, if you have 10 guests order the one for 20 people, the 10 people cake was definitely not for 10 people 🙈 we were seven people and the cake was just enough for us. The appereance is really cool and I think it is worth it. One more thing, the shop is very very responsive and helpful which is not the case for many other cake shops in Berlin. That was one of the reasons I chose them. Answer to owner: thank you for your comment 🙏🏻 We did use the guide for cutting cake but we loved your cake so if there was more we would definitely have finished it 😍 We are 35 people in my wedding but I ordered 50-60 people cake since in Turkish customs it is important to have enough for everyone (even in case they ask for a second slice) 🙈 One note to owner: kudos for making a website for ordering cakes, I never saw this amount of automation in any other cake vendor. Have a lovely weekend!

I have tried many cakes in Berlin and have always been disappointed to some extent. Then I found this place and on a whim decided to get our anniversary cake from here. And have to say, it was one of the best decisions I made. The cake was very fresh, and the flavor was amazing. You can eat the whole cake on one sitting if you're not careful. The order was done in a timely manner, and I found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend them for any special occasion.

Amazing Cake made for my sister's 30th birthday. fresh flowers and lovely frosting with a chocolate drip. Beautiful light sponge, everyone fully enjoyed :) We even managed to transport it on a Ped to a park for a picnic and it survived really well - very impressed with the packaging! Thank you for making her birthday extra special

I spent 11 days in Berlin for my birthday. I saw this Cake shop online after a random google search. Having a birthday cake made for you in another country is hard enough but with Cakes Berlin it was seamless and delicious. I would recommend anyone in search of a cake in the Berlin area for any occasion to utilize their services. The woman who owned the shop was so kind and accommodating. Above everything the cake looked like it was advertised and tasted heavenly.

Definitely recommending! I‘ve had the Antoinette Mini-Chocolate-Cake with Vanilla-Cream and Raspberry-Swirl for my Girlfriends-Birthday. At first I had some doubts because of the price and the transport packaging, but we were astonished! You get helpful instruction and the personal was very nice. The Cake comes in a hard cardbox, so the transport is easy. I recommend to bring some cooling elements or a cool bag. And last but not least, the cake looked wonderful and was very tasty!

I am very touchy about my morning coffee and there are very coffee shops which make me happy with a great coffee, this place is very small and during the walk i pass through and didn't notice but i came back and get inside, i asked for coffee, the coffee i get was amazing and totally like i prefer in morning. i will surely give 5 stars for it and will go there again when i will go Berlin.
