Chinese noodle restaurant
Wen Cheng 2 is a popular spot that serves traditional Chinese hand-pulled noodles from the Shanxi province. Due to its immense popularity, a second location, Wen Cheng II, was opened just a mile south of the original. The restaurant offers an authentic experience with prep-side seating where customers can watch the skilled staff make Biang Biang noodles from scratch. The larger space at Wen Cheng II provides better views of the noodle-making process and quicker queues for seating.
Nothing like some flavorful hand pulled noodles. I got the dry noodles and mind you they are spicy :) 2 vegan/vegetarian options for both noodles and the bao. There might be a bit of a wait but don’t be intimidated by the lines, it moves quickly :) Also, there are 3 or 4 locations in Berlin so you could always go somewhere else.
Krishna K — Google review
I ate the best ever noodles I ever had at this Wen Cheng restaurant. We ordered their Lamb and Beef pulled noodles and they were so delicious!! Moreover, we ordered bao buns which were so delicious. Portions are big and reasonably priced. Food quality and taste was so good that I cannot eat anywhere else! I highly recommend this Wen Cheng restaurant.
Ali S — Google review
Staff were really friendly and chatty, food came EXTREMELY quick, and food was really tasty - with options to make spicier or not. Very flavourful. I also liked that there’s a story behind the making of the business which they show, and the atmosphere is very modern, with banging music. Good portion sizes too.
Paisley H — Google review
We visited this vibrant and popular noodles bar in Berlin. There was a dinner queue, but freak not, the staff were efficient in organising the seating. We tried the noodles, dumplings, and the cucumber salad. We enjoyed the thick noodles as they reminded me of the mee hoon kueh that I had in Singapore. The seasoning is overall more salty than I would prefer. Overall, it is a comforting meal, and perhaps they can consider giving less sauce to the cucumber.
Y T — Google review
Nothing else to say than it was fantastic ! No words can explain the explosion of flavours and simply saying how comfortable the dining is. The staff makes it even more enjoyable. For sure it will be the best place that I will save in mind after visiting Berlin, definitely worth coming back !
Julia D — Google review
Very filling big portions. Tasty broth with lots of meat. Hand pulled noodles are a bit thick and tough. Maybe in order to be fast for service they are way too quick.
Yesim E — Google review
I have heard through years about Wen Cheng in Berlin, and I finally got a taste of the famous hand pulled noodles. If you are cautious about oil, the Biang Biang noodles (we tried the Beef one and Lamb & Qumin) might be on the oily side, but extremely delicious and fulfilling. ⭐️ 100/10
Lekë Z — Google review
Beef was ok, noodles were awesome. The chicken bao was nothing special. This place was a must-do on YT. So I was a little underwhelmed. The server was amazing (Vosko) would class it as a “cheap casual eat”. But also House of Dumplings is and their product is better.

Sichuan restaurant

Noodle shop
This cozy and popular Sichuan noodle spot in Mitte is a great place to sample some of the best spicy noodles and dumplings in town. The menu is simple but the flavors are intense, so be warned: you'll be coming back for more! The restaurant has a bustling atmosphere, so it's perfect for a quick lunch or dinner. Open hours are uncertain, but they're open weekday evenings until around 9pm.
absolutely phenomenal! The perfect balance of spicy, numbing peppercorns and rich flavors left me craving more. Each bite delivers an authentic explosion of taste. A must-visit for anyone who appreciates bold, unforgettable cuisine
Sergiy S — Google review
I would safely say these are one of the best noodles in Berlin! Cooked perfectly and the sauce/broth was amazing and well seasoned! The noodles were soft and firm at the same time and you could taste the flavour in every bite! The meat was soft and also well seasoned. The spicyness🌶️ was mild so if you like really spicy even level 2 is not as spicy as comparable places. There was a que for the table
Suhas T — Google review
Had this bad boy on my list for a while. But difficult to catch for me as an employed person. I got here because of a Reddit post about the hottest food in town and I'm glad to report, it didn't disappoint! The food was quite hot but still plenty flavourful and I suppose quite authentic judged by the amount of Asians in the queue and seated. The queue to orders also plenty long. Pricing is fair for the unique experience that you're getting here. Seating is kinda tough with the benches and everything, you really gotta be quick and find a spot but it clears up quite dynamically. This store is in a working district so it makes somewhat sense to have those opening times but I do wish it was somewhere else and with better opening hours. They would make bank. A must for any spice enjoyed tired of the pretend feel good spicelevels that plagues our society. 5 Stars - if you like hot youl love this.
Hoang N — Google review
I liked the food here. It was very busy when we got there but we didn't have to wait for too long to order and get a table. The food can be very splashy though, so they offer plastic bibs for protection.
Sepehr — Google review
Excellent noodle and dumpling dishes with various degrees of spiciness. Vegan and vegetarian options are available. Very busy, but you always find a spot to squeeze in. Best place in Mitte!
Cordee S — Google review
I can't say for sure, but this is probably the best Sichuan street food in mainland Europe. Chaushau are made fresh daily, and served soup style. It's absolutely worth trying the entire menu here. The most popular dish is the Chengdu style zajiangmian.
JK A — Google review
it’s busy around lunch time. prepare to wait 10-15 minutes. once ordered food arrives almost instantaneously, though. the noodles were very tasty! flavorful, garlicky, saucy, oily - all the good stuff. i tried spiciness level 0.5 and 2, neither of which were at all spicy? i haven’t tried 3 but up to level 2 it wasnt spicy at all so id be surprised if there was a sudden jump in spiciness for level 3. there is plenty of vegan options and most of the dishes have a vegan version. lastly, do NOT get the plum tea (as pictured) idk why but it tastes like bbq sauce…
I H — Google review
LIU is my most visited noodles restaurant in Berlin. They have 3 levels of spice that you can choose. Level 1 is the most perfect one for me. Level 2 is spicier and more oily, so be wary. You come, queue in line, order noodles, pay directly and within less than 5 minutes your order arrives. They also don't make a fuss if we do not order beverage. Sometimes I just wanna sit and eat, no drink and no chit chat with the waiter. The service style meets my need. No bullshit. No payment with CC!

Ramen restaurant
Japanese restaurant
Takumi NINE Sapporo is a ramen spot that offers an extensive selection of various ramen variations, including unique combinations such as Shio Ramen with chicken and yuzu flavor, vegetable tempura miso ramen, and vegetarian tantan men with seitan mince. The restaurant caters well to vegetarians and also offers rice dishes for those who prefer them over noodle soup.
Unassuming place from the front door but the staff led us to the backyard outside seating area which was cool and had an accessible WC. Ramen was hearty and the soup was thick and flavourful — really satisfying for a cold rainy evening. The fried chicken was also unexpectedly fresh, hot and crunchy; very nice surprise. 10/10 would recommend.
Jie T — Google review
It was my first to try a Ramen dish and I liked it as a first experience. The broth was rich and well seasoned. There were a quite good amount of noodles cooked perfectly too. All came fresh ,hot without long time to wait. What I really liked more was the dumplings, which were super fresh and cooked perfectly with a super tasty filling.
Ronnie A — Google review
I had high hopes and expectations as I have had great experiences with other takumi locations. We had three different kind of vegan ramen and we were pretty disappointed. Not very intense flavor. Why are there meatballs inside? A really heavy amount of corn that didn't taste like much. Overall the restaurant was nice, the staff was kind, but - appart from the edamame and gyoza - we left feeling pretty disappointed and unsatisfied. And I'm sorry to say so.
Mara M — Google review
I always eat ramen once during the trip everywhere I go and I found this place not to far from the museum that we were planning to go so we decided to try it. The place is cozy and nice. The atmosphere here is really good. The staff is super friendly and the food! It's perfect! 😍😍😍 I loooooove my ramen and we all got differences one. Me and my other 2 friends were really enjoying it. I mean my ramen was just perfect I love how you guys cook the ramen noodle it's really just how I like! The soup was perfect. We all got different one and we just love them all. I really wish a good ramen like this stays next to my home so I would be able to eat it everyday lol Really recommend it and will definitely go back on our next trip in Berlin.
Plyfa I — Google review
I loved the food here and they have vegan options labelled so clearly it is really helpful! The spinach gyoza in particular I think might be the best gyoza that I've ever had! The pastry was just really thin and delicate and the filling packs a, spinach punch but also seemed somehow quite light and delicate! I don't know if they make these in-house but they were perfect! I can't fully remember if I ordered the miso or shoyu ramen. But the broth was great! And the noodles were the right amount of chewy but also quite filling! I really liked the katsu chicken style schnitzel on top. It was much lighter and less dense than other fake meat I've had in Berlin. It was probably my favorite fake meat that I had! The breading was really nice too. However, you can't leave it for too long in the soup. Otherwise it will go soggy so you need to eat it first! We sat outdoors in a cute outdoor area. The outdoor toilet was not my favourite especially for the guests sitting facing into it every time someone goes. But I guess they are a bit pushed for space in this location.
Tamara S — Google review
Very tasty, recommend the ramen (the spicy one is just enough without being too much), lovely gyoza. Fast and welcoming service. Definitely recommend.
Iliana Y — Google review
Very good Ramen noodles. Just like what I had in Japan.
Nick K — Google review
Good Ramen. Nothing extraordinary, but still something I’d say is well worth the money. If you usually stand to think TanTanMen is heavy, this place has got it very well balanced, however with a few too little toppings.

Japanese restaurant
Buya Ramen Factory is a spacious venue located in Kreuzberg, offering traditional Japanese soups with homemade noodles and vegan options. The restaurant has a fixed location on Reichenberger Strasse and features a serene Hinterhof in the summer, creating an ideal spot to savor delicious ramen while enjoying the picturesque surroundings. The menu is simple and straightforward, catering to ramen lovers with a variety of tasty dishes.
Best Ramen in Berlin. If you're looking for good authentic ramen, this is the place to go. Been here several times and I have nothing to complain. The food is always excellent, fast, yummy and great Vegan/Veggie options and the staff is always nice and competent. They make every wish come true. I asked if they could do my ramen less spicy and they did. The restaurant itself is really cozy but with the open kitchen and the few big tables it's quiet loud, but I think that's part of the experience. getting a table can be a hustle and you might have to wait a bit, so I recommend reserving one in advance. You can just pull up their website and choose a time that's available, but even if there is no table left you can just go, because they do a lot of walk in. All in all it's 5 stars for me
Lena O — Google review
It was very delicious. I had the Ukon Spicy Pork Ramen which was super flavourful and yummy. The service recommended it to me! The staff generally was super friendly. Cool atmosphere. Busy but not too loud. I had a blast having my birthday here! Will come again! :D
Phillip N — Google review
I don't eat Ramen or noodle soups alot so this spot was kind of a pleasant surprise in my reviewing journey. I had this one on my list for some time and the first time I went here we had to wait like 45minutes until we got seated. Due to their high demand they have like a analog queue list which is kinda cool. Definitely don't go here if you didn't rsvp or don't have too much time. Service was always nice so far be it when I went there to eat or to check the queue. Food comes in a good time and Is definitely different depending on what you've ordered. And there's ample opportunity to customize your order too. Extra this or that. The food itself is great and I really enjoy myself there. It feels fair and yummy. My only issue probably is that you gotta reserve a day before if you wanna plan on going there. Spontaneous visits are kinda tough as mentioned earlier. They also have a Japanese high tech toilet there. Check it by chance. 5 Stars - became my to go ramen place
Hoang N — Google review
Great, tasty, unique ramen. The first time I tried Tan Tan; this time I went for the duck option. Both are delicious and unique. The Vorspeise is not the most recommended; just take the ramen, and you won't regret it. We had: - 2 Ramen (tan tan + duck) - Aubergine vorspeise - 2 beers Paid: 52€
Juliana L — Google review
Absolutely fire duck ramen! The broth was rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced, with tender duck that just melted in your mouth. The noodles had a great texture, and every bite felt comforting and full of umami. The place itself has a cool, modern vibe — tucked away in a backyard, which gives it a bit of a hidden gem feel. Service was super friendly and fast, and the overall experience was excellent. Prices are fair for the quality.Definitely one of the best ramen spots I’ve tried in Berlin!
Ana - — Google review
My experience with Ramen just got a another level up! I ordered the Crispy Duck and it was Awesome! But I also tasted Spicy Pork Ramen and it was even better!
Mina A — Google review
I came here with high expectations, but they weren’t met. I ordered the tantan ramen. The broth wasn’t as thick as it usually is. I’d read that the noodles were overcooked, but I was lucky — they were fine. The ground meat looked more like meatballs, as it was stuck together, and the peanuts weren’t crushed. If I had eaten this thinking it was a different soup, I would’ve said it was tasty. And it had a fair portion of meat. But it’s definitely not real tantan ramen. So it is 3/5. Oh yeah, and there was a line to be seated, we waited 15 min.
Nastya H — Google review
This place is perhaps rated the best ramen in Berlin and I can see why. Although it's expensive and I wouldn't say the flavours are traditional, the flavour is amazing. My pork was amazing. Super rich sauce and the meat was delectable. Also we ordered the yuzu (citrus) salt broth with tofu which was a unique flavour, also very delicious. Tends to cost 16€ per bowl or more. We didn't book on a Saturday at 17:15, the place was busy but there were plenty of spaces. Couldn't book ahead. What let it down was the small desert that cost 7€. The cheesecake was absolutely delicious, but I felt the portion size was tiny for the price. It should be more clear what you're ordering. Almost wanted to sent it back as it felt like a joke.

Authentic Japanese restaurant
Cocolo Ramen is a must-visit for ramen enthusiasts in Berlin, with two locations in Mitte and Kreuzberg. The original Mitte location offers an authentic Japanese ambiance and a handful of seats that overlook the open kitchen where skilled Japanese chefs work their magic. Part of the Kuchi restaurant group, Cocolo Ramen is renowned for its traditional Japanese ramen dishes, offering five deliciously different and completely authentic options.
Yes, it’s everything everyone says about it. It is truly amazing. The flavour and textures, one of my favorites in this city. The staff was also really lovely. Can definitely recommend the ramen with pork belly, it’s just perfect 🥺❤️ (we arrived by the time it was opening, so we got a table without waiting so long).
Natalia S — Google review
Cocolo Ramen – A Slurp of Japan in the Heart of Berlin If you’re craving a taste of Tokyo without leaving Berlin, Cocolo Ramen delivers the goods—bold, flavorful, and full of soul. I had the TanTan Ramen, and here’s a pro tip: ask for it extra spicy and definitely add the extra egg. Creamy, rich, and with a subtle kick, it’s the kind of bowl that demands your full attention. Paired it with Kakuni—tender, sweet pork belly that basically melts on contact—and washed it all down with an ice-cold Kirin beer for the full Japanese experience. What truly elevated the visit was the counter seating. Sitting solo, right near the open kitchen, watching the crew work with focus and rhythm—it felt like a brief return to Japan. The location is easy to find, and the vibe strikes a perfect balance between casual and authentic. Final verdict: Cocolo isn't just a ramen shop—it's a little slice of Japan in Berlin. Come hungry, sit at the counter, and let the steam and flavor do the rest.

The service was good. But the Lemonade is too sweet, served in tea cups. Ramen with pork is too salty, we didn't like the meat. Would not recommend
Val — Google review
Best ramen I've ever had. We were here in 2022 for the first time and I finally came back 3 years later. The taste was exactly as good as I remembered. Also very nice and kind service!
Gianmarco S — Google review
We got here before 6pm and there was a queue outside so we were curious ourselves! My friend and I sat outside while the weather was on and off rain, but the atmosphere was perfect as we had cover over our tables. There was one point the rain leaned near the edge of the table and the staff came straight away with towels. A very hospitable place. We ordered gyoza, tonkotsu + shoyu ramen, mochi (sesame + vanilla) and home limonade. It was SOOOO yummy!! Very similar taste to homemade stuff in Japan ~ the broth was creamy not too salty or fatty and the pork belly was really gooood. The mochi was fluffy and fresh too 10/10 👌🏽
Angela M — Google review
VERY authentic place. We had probably the most Japanese experience that is possible in Germany. The best part are people who are working there. They are very friendly and I liked the atmosphere a lot.
Igor K — Google review
We had to wait for about 15-20 minutes, but it was all worth it. Most authentic Japanese experience I’ve ever had. The place is small, but it adds some charm to it. They also have places outside, but since it was pretty cold, we waited for a seat inside. The staff was very friendly. All in all, the ramen was incredible and worth the hype. Highly recommend.
Laoganma — Google review
Amazing, I ordered the tonkotsu ramen, everything was very good. Very kind staff. I spent 20eur and got the most expensive dish and drink, most you could really spend there is 30 with side dishes but it’s really worth it.

Shaniu's House of Noodles, located in Wilmersdorf, Berlin, is a popular Chinese restaurant celebrated for its fusion of Shanghainese and Korean cuisine. The menu features an array of noodle dishes, including cold noodles with veggies and minced meat, braised pork belly with homemade noodles, and chili wontons. In addition to noodles, the restaurant offers dumplings and other Chinese specialties.
Really delicious, v friendly service, decent prices and a menu that's the perfect combination of authentic and accessible - and unfortunately much too large to try in one go, I guess I'll just have to be back!
Karl F — Google review
I have been waiting for a long time to try this restaurant. It's better to book in advance since it usually very busy. I have to say I'm not a big fan of the atmosphere inside, as the dining tables are small and the whole sitting is relatively cramped. The food though, which is what I mainly came for is quite authentic I must say. Real Chinese food served by Chinese chefs. We tried their beef and carrot steamed dumplings and cold chicken with leek and spicy garlic oil. The dumplings together with the dipping sauce is such a delicacy, but I was not a big fan of the chicken, mainly because it was cold and felt a bit gamey. I'm not saying it's bad, but I don't think it's my cup of tea. For the mains we got noodles with pork belly and cabbage, which unfortunately didn't capture us as much as their signature spicy beef noodle soup, which was nothing short of magnificent. The noodle soup was full of thinly sliced tender beef and is spiced to perfection. We ordered another dish to share on the side because why not. Spicy fried pork belly with cabbage and peppers. I absolutely loved this dish, also the portion was very decent, that I almost struggled to finish it which rarely happens. In conclusion if you are after authentic Chinese food, give them a try, but If you are looking for a proper dining restaurant with good ambiance and less loud, then this restaurant won't give you that experience.

Very nice place, considered not giving 5 stars to the food because I believe dishes where a bit small and a tiny bit insipid, was expecting more flavor overall. BUT food was extremely fresh and everything was basically delicious. Very nice service, though they got a bit confused with the options we chose for every dish, so be sure they take note of what you order, especially if you speak not in German. Nice chill neighborhood to be around.

I’m from Hong Kong and am so happy to have stumbled upon this noodle house! Food is solidly delicious and all the staff are so friendly. They chatted with me, found out I’m from hk, and even spoke Cantonese to me! Love this kind of gem of restaurants ☺️

The flavors of the dishes are decent, the presentation is good, the size a bit small (doesn’t bother me), but unfortunately the food left this MSG or artificial sugar after-taste. Been asked if the dishes contain MSG, the waiter “educated” me the official name for MSG is 谷氨酸钠 (Monosodium glutamate) and how common it is in our daily dining and cooking, existing in soy-sauce for example (not in the soy-sauce I bought though). Thanks to his honesty, he told me some dishes have MSG, some have 鸡精 (this chicken flavor seasoning), some have other stuff. Another staff came over to sooth things over, subtly clarifying that some dishes might contain chicken flavor seasoning (only). Anyway the after-taste in the mouth that last for the rest of the day was terrible, and surely on the higher level comparing to some other Chinese restaurants, I had to keep drinking water for the thirst. It would be much better for health reason that MSG and other artificial additive could be clarified on the menu, be an option-off and the dishes could still remind flavorful.

We had our lunch at this restaurant. The spicy beef noodles soup is amazing! The beef was juicy and tender and the soup base was appropriately spicy and tasty. We are used to having spicy foods so we loved it very much!

I don't know if I am generally not the person for Chinese food (if it's always like this) or if I just don't like this place specifically too much. The food we ordered was waaay too oily! We had the Tan Tan noodles and the eggplant with minced meat and especially the latter was basically swimming in oil. My stomach felt really bad afterwards. However, the waiter and waitress were really sweet and friendly. Yet, I would not go there again and don't think it's special.

Ramen restaurant
Iimori Ramen is a snug and casual Japanese diner offering a variety of sake and noodle bowls, including vegan options. The restaurant has a cute, nice Japanese touch with its minimalist decor and outdoor seating. Customers praise the friendly and fast service, as well as the delicious ramen options such as Tonkotsu, Miso, Curry, or Tantan Ramen. Some unique creations like Basil-Tonkotsu-Ramen and Yuzu-Ramen are also available.
What an incredible find! This place serves ramen that feels alive — full of depth, balance, and care in every bowl. The broth is rich and comforting without being heavy, the noodles perfectly chewy, and the toppings thoughtfully chosen rather than just thrown on. You can taste that everything here is made with love and attention. The atmosphere is just as special — cozy, a bit rustic, but with a calm energy that makes you want to stay a little longer after your meal. It’s the kind of spot where time slows down, and you realize how good food can make you genuinely happy. Definitely not just another ramen shop — this is ramen with soul. If you’re in Berlin and want something authentic, heartfelt, and deeply satisfying, this is the place.
Vadym P — Google review
An almost great ramen, The noodles were good, but everything else... Not so much, an overcooked not long brined egg, it had corn which tasted canned, the basil was not infused as much as expected from the menu, and the broth itself was just plain. The staff are very nice, helpful, and the atmosphere is okay.
Ramen B — Google review
i had high hopes for this place. i’ve passed by many times — it’s always full, which usually means the kitchen does something right. unfortunately, the experience didn’t quite meet expectations. the service was fast and polite, and the atmosphere feels cozy. but the ramen itself lacked depth. the pork broth didn’t have the richness you expect from slow-cooked stock, and the noodles seemed closer to packaged than handmade — perhaps not, but that’s how they tasted. the portion size was generous, and presentation was neat, but flavour-wise the dish felt unfinished. also, it’s surprising that there are no soft drinks on the menu — for many guests, a simple soda makes a big difference in balance and comfort. overall, it’s a nice a bit loud central spot with potential. kitchen could benefit from more attention to detail — especially the broth and noodles. with a few adjustments, it could become a truly strong ramen place in berlin.

Authentic Japanese ramen restaurant with plenty of different items on the menu. They also have a next door outlet entirely dedicated to vegan ramen. Great service as well.

Great place for Ramen. We went to their vegan room, which was cozy and clean. The food was delicious und the service impeccable. Thank you

The restaurant is cute and cozy. Not too many seats so sometimes you have to wait for a table. The ramen however was average at best. We started with veggie Gyoza and I think they used egg as filling. Interesting choice. Not bad but also not my favourite. I had the Tantan Ramen but I didn't think it was spicy at all even after adding some oil. The broth was not rich and also lacked this full flavoursome taste typical for Ramen. The noodles were okay but also lacked taste. Instead of spinach I prefer Pak choi or something similar in ramen. All in all, for a good Ramen I wouldn't recommend this place.

Sword Master Noodle is a popular Korean restaurant located on Dunckerstr, known for its knife-cut noodles made fresh in front of customers. The menu focuses mainly on Kalguksu, with the galbi kalguksu short-rib bowl being a standout dish. Visitors have praised the authentic flavors and generous portions, making it a favorite spot for Korean cuisine enthusiasts. This place has stolen my heart and stomach 😝 the food is always on point and have tried several of their dishes. Tried their summer menu as well. All cooked to perfection. Been here many times and never disappoints

I have been coming here since they opened and they never disappoint. The flavors are on point and the portions are abundant, which makes me happy. And more importantly, they are consistent. I’ve had all their dishes and they are all good! In the summer they also offer cold noodles which is a nice option.

Classic spot in the hood, great for a hangover or if you’re craving delicious Korean noodles and or soup! Pretty small space which I like and the service was great! I’ve been a couple of times now and will happily return again.

I loved how honest they were, about the spice level of the dishes. Yes, UNFORTUNATELY, we cannot get the actual spice level required for them for "obvious" reasons. But other places often underestimate this and act "it would br so spicy" - then it turns out below expectations 💔 SMN place did right by being straight about it. Yes, with proper spiciness - it would have been of the charts! regardless, the dish was comforting for that cold, autumn day. The sesame oil did the charm. Overall it did the work. Very soothing. Still {-1 star} for the spice level. The mitarbeiter there was very nice ❣️

Absolutely delicious! The kimchi and radish kimchi were excellent—perfectly fermented and full of flavor. We tried the bibim naengmyeon and the galbi guksu, and both were outstanding. The guksu had a rich, deep broth and was loaded with tender meat—very satisfying. The naengmyeon was refreshing and just right for hot weather. Everything tasted authentic and well-prepared. Highly recommend!

Very tasty noodles. The portion was quite big. Kimchi was better than in many other restautants (well fermented). The Mandu are also yummy - they were surprisingly large.

Our friend gave Sword Master Noodle high praise, and upon his recommendation, we opted to venture out there for lunch. It did not disappoint as you can see the care taken in there food preparation - it's literally on display! I can also appreciate the cleanliness and organization of their open kitchen. Food delivered as the portions were generous for a very nice price point.

I'm trying this korean noodle place, the place itself was not that interesting but the flavor might bring them success if they keep the quality. I saw how they prepare the noodle. I don't understand the language, but I'm sure the worker was discussing about the quality/ thickness of the noodle. This alone impress me as I don't see any fault on that. They should keep their quality in line to their standard like that. Now let's get into the flavor. It's like a pasta with asian sauce twist. The noodle is thicc and have a body that we can chew. The sauce don't really stick to the noodle, so you should enjoy the noodle by itself (noodle is art!) The meat is really soft and savory, but I don't really like the sauce because it's more like a sauce from my hometown that I don't particularly love.

Chungking Noodles is a trendy eatery located in Kreuzberg, offering an authentic taste of Sichuan cuisine. The restaurant prides itself on serving traditional Chinese noodles made with high-quality ingredients and a perfect blend of seasonings. Customers can enjoy the house-made chili oil and fragrant spices that give the Chongqing noodles their signature flavor. While known for its spiciness, patrons have the option to request a milder version.
Just went there and enjoyed the beef noodles, which were flavorful and well-prepared. The beer was great, and the ice cream had unique flavors that I loved! All together, it cost 30.50€, which felt reasonable for the quality. The atmosphere was cozy, and the staff was friendly. Will definitely come back!

Ate there last night, both my wife and I had the beef noodles, she had regular (non spicy eater and found it spicy) I had extra spicy and found it 7/10 spicy. The noodles were chewy and delicious, they had bite to them and we both loved it. The sauce and meat was also very well done( soft and delicious) , stuck well to the noodles and tasted great. We both would go back. Thanks a lot team :) Servers were also friendly and polite.

There's the idea that competition drives innovation right. And with a super good ramen spot not a 100m from this spot, I would've thought that their stuff is at least up there in terms of quality. But it's not. It's honestly shocking how supbar their noodles are. Good things first, the decoration and whole look of the store is really cool. Screams gentrification but there's nothing OG about noodles in Berlin. Lots of hip people and working there. They're dog friendly and could accommodate a larger group of 6 at prime time easy. The bad stuff is all about the food tho. To start things of, I asked for the hottest the most spicy they can make it. I put special emphasis on it. Make it as hot as possible. Dude said for sure gotchu. But I got some slightly hotter sauce. And it wasn't even nice hotness where you can taste seasoning or whatever. It was this pure saltyish hot of a dried chili pepper in oil. Tastes like kinda salty but oily and you get a slight tingle. But it was alright. As a native of the east I can hardly blame them for making it hot for the aesthetics. Tho the toppings were another issue. I usually order the biggest and baddest dish at all restaurants. One that has the best the store has to offer, thus I got all the toppings. But the problem was that all toppings roughly tasted the same and the textures blended in together quite easily. It was basically a mush with similar seasoning. All in all a subpar experience and I was kinda disappointed. No wonder the other store is fully booked and this one's not. 2 Stars - don't go here if you wanted to go there.
Hoang N — Google review
I didn't expect it to be authentic, because it looked hipster. Wow, I was so wrong. Incredibly delicious Chinese noodles with the right level of spice. The black sesame ice cream was one of the best I had in a while!
Wenchao W — Google review
I will start with the positive feedback: the portions are big and it is nice that you can choose between not spicy at all and very spicy! It makes it also easy to eat with children. The noodles themselves were tasty however the sauce (vegan option) was not tasty at all, it was so acidic that it made our throats and tongues numb at the end 2 out four couldn’t finish their own dish. The white wine had also kind of a bitter aftertaste. The prices are too high for the quality that is being served! For one person that takes one meal and one beverage you can expect to pay around 22-25€. The atmosphere and the seating situation is like eating in an “Imbiss” with “Bierbänke” that were neither comfy nor clean. The menus were just a piece of printed out paper and some of them were already covered in sauce from other customers. Not ideal for a place that charges you from 16-19€ for a main dish. The place on the evening we visited was understaffed and although they took our order quite on time and we didn’t have to wait a lot for the food it was almost impossible to order something extra (beverages that never came) and also the only way to catch the attention of the staff in order to pay was to stand up and go inside. After a not so good service experience and before paying, I was asked by a staff member if I wanted to tip. I found that quite an intrusive question, since when paying by card you always have the option to choose how much you want to tip and there is always the traditional way of giving some cash in the hand… All in all, it was not a great experience.
Maritina A — Google review
i appreciate the effort of making everything in-house, but i believe it leads to inconsistency. the pickles were very cinnamony, the chili crisp was burnt and bitter, and the noodles were thick — definitely not cq style, which we were expecting. the vegetarian option, of all things, had lentils in it, which felt very random, and we weren’t satisfied with the beef noodle either. however, the service was fast, caring, and lovely, and the natural wine selection was great. overall though, it was sadly disappointing.
András K — Google review
We had the beef shank and pork noodles. Loved the different broths. Both of us liked the shank broth more, as it had couple more aromatics in it, but the black vinegar in the pork noodles added also quite a nice note to it. Shank was very tender, falling apart and the pork was nicely minced as well. One thing I really liked about the pork dish was that they haven’t used that cheap metro minced pork that has a really weird flavour. Seems to be minced in-house. Noodles were very chewy, really love the bite to them and also not too thicc and not too thin. We sort of understand that people in Berlin have a low spice tolerance, but when you have extra spicy on the menu, it should actually be very spicy. Guess it’s more preference and tolerance. Overall, great food.
Chonky F — Google review
easily the best and spiciest noodles in Berlin. If spicy and a bit of sour is your taste, then this is the place to go. The noodles aren’t chewy at all and the vegetables are organic and fresh. The manager and the staff is best.

Additionally, they serve Donburi and Onigiri dishes alongside their renowned ramen.
A very pleasant, homely atmosphere. The atmosphere is very cozy, the staff is friendly, and unusual. I think the ramen is very interesting. It really feels homemade. It's as if all the ingredients were hand-made or picked from the garden. It's very interesting and I recommend it.

The Tonkotsu Ramen was surprisingly good and reminded me a lot of Japan. Although the chashu was a bit dry for my taste, the onsen egg was tasty and the creamy texture of the soup really did it for me! Lon Men's Noodle House is a buzzing eatery in Berlin, offering Taiwanese lunches such as beef noodle soup and chili wontons. Despite its small and cultish vibe, the place attracts a queue of Taiwanese Chinese residents. The restaurant exudes the ambiance of family-owned establishments found on Taipei's bustling streets, serving a blend of sweet and savory flavors influenced by the Chinese Fujian province and Japan.
The food tasted great, and the portion was good for the price. I think the bowl was under €13. The staff were really friendly. I came alone and enjoyed a quick meal. I’ll definitely be back!

I was disappointed coming back here after a few years. The tofu-bok choy noodles were mostly just noodles, with only a few bits of chopped bok choy that felt more like garnish than a real ingredient. It’s surprising to see the restaurant skimping on something so inexpensive. That said, the service and atmosphere were as great as ever.

Food was ok. I had a hot&sour soup (would not order again - was a bit too sour and too liquid), vermicelli noodles with crispy and steamed dumplings with shrimps&chicken.

ordered Dish #2 (beef noodle soup) and my friend went for fried duck . Both were fantastic. The beef noodle soup had a deep, rich broth with just the right balance of spices. The beef was soft and tender, and the noodles had that perfect chewy bite — honestly some of the best I’ve had in Berlin. We also had two hot jasmine teas, which were light, floral, and the perfect way to balance out the rich food. It felt very authentic and comforting, like something straight out of Taiwan. If you’re craving real Taiwanese noodles and dumplings, Lon Men’s is a must. Fair prices, quick service, and absolutely delicious food. I’ll definitely be back!

I still can’t believe how amazing the food and atmosphere are! I highly recommend everyone to try their incredible dishes. The duck meat was very tender and melted in my mouth. The rice was fresh and perfectly cooked. The vegetables were also well prepared! I could really taste their natural flavors (not overcooked at all) The noodles were absolutely amazing! You can easily notice the difference between theirs and those from other Asian restaurants. The beef was soft, juicy, and full of flavor. You can actually smell the freshness of the food here unlike some Asian restaurants where the smell can be unpleasant. The staff were very friendly and quick in preparing the dishes; you can tell they’re true professionals. This is definitely in my Top 3 Restaurants of 2025! I hope you enjoy your time here as much as I did.

Cocolo is a Japanese ramen restaurant that serves delicious noodles in a rich and flavorful broth. The restaurant has a cosy atmosphere, with plants and natural light flooding in through the windows. The waiters are friendly and efficient, making the experience of dining here quick and pleasant. The ramen house's specialty is their Shoyu Ramen, which is topped off with a layer of savory pork broth.
I loved it! Delicious ramen as well as Delicious sides / starters. The interior design is really nice. Worth the hype for sure!!! Staff is friendly and the orders arrived fast. Good vibe and good quality over all. I cant wait to be back and highly recommend this place!
Sabrina J — Google review
Coccolo is average in every aspect of my experience. Nice staff, but without attitude. Food a bit flavourless, not the worse, but in Berlin you can have delicious ramen and gyoza quite easily. The ambience is a bit worn with no effort to make it cozier... I have to say, I wouldn't suggest this restaurant if you're in japanese cuisine.
Marco M — Google review
we went into cocolo spontaneously for lunch. i’d been to cocolo in the past and hadn’t been blown away by their ramen. so. this time i went for the vegan rice bowl lunch option which was deliciously packed with nutritious fermented foods, sprouts, the seasoning was delicious on the spinach and carrots in particular 😋 i tried my partner’s ramen broth and the sentiment remains the same. generally: the broth can be more flavourful (not salty) and served hotter (in temperature), instead of lukewarm. curious where they’ll go with the rice bowls 👀
Jane K — Google review
Pretty disappointing experience overall. We tried a variety of dishes hoping for at least one hit, but nothing really delivered. The tantanmen had a strange, off-putting flavor that didn’t resemble the usual spicy-sesame goodness. The karaage chicken was a letdown too—fatty and paired with an overly salty sauce. Even the pickled vegetables were way too salty to enjoy. The tonkotsu ramen was the most passable of the bunch, but still pretty bland. None of the soup bases had that deep, rich, umami flavor that makes ramen comforting and delicious—it all tasted kind of watered down and flat. To top it off, the waiter seemed visibly annoyed when we asked to pay, which made the already mediocre experience feel even worse. Wouldn’t go back.
Abe A — Google review
Interesting experience, very nice atmosphere inside, all windows were open, so a lot of fresh air came in. They also have an open green terrace. The worker greeted me at the entrance but didn’t notice me for 10-15 minutes straight after that :( So I couldn’t order for quite a long time, that was unpleasant. If you check the terrace client all the time, please don’t forget about the ones you actually have inside the building 😅 Ordered Tonkotsu ramen (the last possible option on menu) because of its creamy broth. The taste was truly very pleasant, pork belly was kinda too fat for me, but what else could I expect from it haha? 17€ with 10% tips for my waitress for 1 ramen If you are searching for truly Japanese experience and real Japanese cooks and team - this is your choice! 4🌟/5

I loved this place a lot - ramen is great, maybe a bit too salty from time to time BUT When come to the restaurant and get the food in plastic tableware I feel cheated! Specially in the place that still sells its ceramics! The waited said it’s the management who decided to use plastics instead of ceramics cause ceramics breaks too often! Yeah, maybe it’s true, but you sell hundreds of ramen per day for 15 euros, I’m sure it’s enough to cover the broken plates! I never eat from plastic and looks like I’ll never come again to your place

Nestled in the bustling ramen scene of Boxhagener Strasse, Niko Niko Ramen is a delightful haven for noodle lovers. As you step inside, you're greeted by the inviting aroma of simmering broth that instantly warms your senses. The open kitchen showcases skilled chefs crafting homemade noodles while friendly staff ensure you feel right at home from the moment you arrive.
I visited Niko Niko Ramen and was truly impressed. Everything was simply delicious, but I especially loved the traditional tonkotsu ramen 🍜— it had such a rich, deep, salty flavor. I’d easily give the ramen 10 out of 10. The Kirin beer on tap was also excellent. 🤤 Overall, it was a pleasure to be in a small, local, authentic ramen restaurant. Highly recommended!

We went to Niko Niko Ramen in Berlin and were told the wait would be about 20 minutes for a table of four — in the end, it was closer to 40 minutes. We ordered four Shoyu Ramen with chicken, extra Naruto topping and egg, plus four homemade Yuzu lemonades. The staff was super friendly and quick — even though the place was packed, our drinks and food came out fast. The ramen tasted fresh and authentic, and the lemonade was amazing. The only small downside: the chicken was a bit bland. Overall, a great experience — warm atmosphere, nice people, good food. Not quite “top-tier ramen,” but definitely worth a visit! 🍜✨

Disclaimer: I’m evaluating the ramen only. I’m not taking into account the service, atmosphere, waiting time, noise level, or anything else. I care solely about the ramen. I also never give 5 stars as I keep it for the ideal place. Nevertheless, the atmosphere here reminded me more than any other place of a traditional local ramen shop in Japan. I ordered the tonkotsu gyokai. Hearty and moderately rich, but a bit too salty for my taste. The portion was just right, though I would have preferred a whole ajitama instead of just a half.

Please look the difference between what I ordered and what I was delivered on the photos. I ordered online. It was the worst Ramen experiecne of my life. The chicken has nothing to do with a real Ramen chicken. The mushrooms are very cheap one you can have in a cheap chinese restaurant. Nothing like the photo. I didn't have seaweed at all. The broth was way too salty. Overall, the dish tasted really bad, I couldn't even finish.

Update: came to this place after a long time. Ramen was very tasty. The dessert is not a strong suit. Miso tonkotsu 17 euro, dorayaki 3 euro. Original Japanese ramen. Not like the Hako ramen in Prenzlauerberg and Keurzberg at all which owned by another owner. The soup was thick and favorable, not the type you should drink it all. But if you do, it’s still very yummy! Recommend this Hako ramen than the other two Hako ramens.

Decent place gone bad! I have been here before, the food used to be good, and hence I was extremely disappointed today. We ordered one plate of Edamame to share and 2 different types of Ramen. Edamame were super old and there was a packaging smell in them, so we returned them (and still got charged for them), on top of that Ramen, though edible I would consider below average. The Tree is a Chinese noodle house in Charlottenburg that offers a contemporary twist on Cantonese dishes. The owners, originally from Hong Kong, infuse their cuisine with western influences, setting it apart from traditional Guangdong province fare. The menu features Hong Kong comfort food like Claypot Aubergine with Pork and Salted Fish and Gai Daan Jai (Hong Kong egg bubble waffle).
Outstanding spicy food. Not too spicy but just enough to leave a constant tingle. The dumplings are great. They are hidden underneath the veggies so I included a reveal photo. There is at least a dozen. You WILL be full after.
Volker E — Google review
They have many vegan and vegetarian options. I got the sweet chili noodles, fried mushrooms, and sliced potatoes. Everything was tasty. The noodle dish has a very nice sauce. I also ordered the beauty tea which was okay. Overall, this is a solid option for almost full time grasshoppers like my self.
Squirrel F — Google review
Loved it! The soft music combined with the cozy, warm atmosphere inside was the perfect setting for our autumn dinner here. Food tasted amazing, we did not specify how spicy we want it and our noodle dishes were just right! Things to note: They only take card.
Daniel H — Google review
The interior design is very creative, with a touch of beauty that makes the space stand out, even if it’s not the most comfortable. The art and atmosphere make up for it. The food was decent, and the vegetarian dishes are clearly highlighted on the menu.

Lovely little place, went on my own and staff were very friendly. Great food at a reasonable price. Felt perfectly comfortable eating alone. Like the option to sit on cushions.
L S — Google review
It's a small restaurant and I have to say I wasn't in love with the furniture which was quite uncomfortable. But the food is spectacular, and even the regular spicy levels have a good amount of heat. So if you don't tolerate any heat, you possibly want to request zero spicy levels but all the noodle dishes we tried in our group were mind blowing.

Japanese restaurant
Life Berlin, located at Maybachufer, offers a variety of noodle soup recipes and cocktails in a simple Japanese restaurant with a terrace. The menu includes traditional Japanese dishes like tempura-fried fish and meat in Izakaya style to accompany drinks. Visitors praise the vegan miso ramen, vegan tantan ramen, and karaage for their consistent quality and exceptional taste.
Cozy little restaurant with very delicious Ramen options and friendly Service. The food is authentically Japanese and super tasty. I tried the vegan Ramen along with some tofu karaage, which were fantastic meatless options. I can fully recommend visiting.
Julian B — Google review
Vegan tofu Karaage garlic and pepper where extremely delicious! The vegan ramen also were nice, but I had better. Loved to sit at the counter, the ambience is really cozy.
Mira L — Google review
Food is decent, at times the vibe is more street food than restaurant, but the flavours are good more often than not. I stopped going here though because the service is just rude and the atmosphere is akin to a place that’s closing down (or still arranging itself to open up). There are better places for Ramen around.
Habib — Google review
Great ramen. Smaller portions than I would like but presentation and flavours were absolutely on point.
Yannick S — Google review
If you have a ramen craving it’s will hit the spot but it’s mid. The side dish + ramen menu was unnecessary, recommend getting a starter of your choice.
Sayuri C — Google review
In a little corner of Maybachufer, find Life Berlin. Here you can not only tuck into excellent ramen, but also deep fried meat and fish dishes, all prepared in laidback Izakaya style. A plate of kara-age, a bowl of noodle soup, authentic taste and marvellous service
Nacho F — Google review
If you love Japanese Ramen and Japanese styled Fried Chicken, then this is your place in Berlin. The service was very jolly and friendly, Atmosphere is very pleasant. We had the traditional Chashu Shoyu ramen which had soy sauce based Chicken broth with 5 Chashu porks, seaweed sheet, boiled egg and seasoned bamboo shoots. The Karate teller was pretty and yummy with crunchy chicken and it’s sweet and sour dip. The juices were average. I liked the Yuzushorle (with and w/o whisky). Overall it’s a great place. I would rate 8.5/10 for eating Ramen. Indeed Recommended.
Gaurav J — Google review
I did not expect to find such good authentic ramen in Berlin. I wish they had other types of noodles like Abura Soba or Tsukemen as well. But all in all it was delicious. Staff was nice. Will come back for more.

Ramen restaurant
Morimori Ramen is a cozy spot located at the eastern end of Oranienstrasse, offering delicious homemade ramen noodles and rich broths that are simmered for hours. The menu features options like Tonkotsu with pork and Yasai Miso Ramen for vegetarians. What sets Morimori apart is their handmade noodles, crafted without eggs to cater to vegans as well.
After my first visit to this ramen place, I was impressed by the taste and ended up bringing a few friends here when they visited Berlin. They all said the broth tasted quite authentic. Both the classic Tonkotsu and Shoyu ramen are solid choices, definitely above average. The soup can be a bit salty depending on your palate, but that’s subjective. The interior is a bit small, but there’s a surprisingly spacious outdoor seating area further inside. This place is always my top pick for ramen around Kotti!
Hyein J — Google review
Best ramen in Europe as far as I’m concerned! Seemingly family ran place, authentic, simple menu, the most beautiful chashu burned to perfection.
Mauro D — Google review
Okay.... I didn't expect to have the best ramen i ever had in my life there but I sure did! So good! Also great drinks! The staff was extremely fast and very friendly. I had vegetarian ramen and it was absolutely delicious. I will definitely come back and highly recommend this place!
Sabrina J — Google review
I visited late on a weekday as Morimori is conveniently open until 11pm. The food was pretty good and I enjoyed the Tonkotsu ramen. The broth was tasty and wasn’t too thick and lard-y like some other places do it. I was able to comfortably finish the entire bowl without feeling like it was too intense. Noodle texture was good too. The downsides for me were that the chashu was not tender and I didn’t like the flavour of their bamboo (or whatever it was marinated in). I wasn’t a huge fan of the Tantan ramen, but it’s usually not my favourite type of ramen anyway. The customer service varied throughout my evening here; at times it was below average and at times it was average, as the server was sometimes rude but then randomly nice at some points.
E K — Google review
The flavors were authentic and rich, definitely some of the best I've had in the city. The price point is also reasonable, adding to the value of the meal. The staff, who, while efficient, could have been more welcoming and friendly. The place itself is quite small, which gives it a cozy feel, but it can feel a bit overwhelming.
Norb N — Google review
The place was cozy and nice. The Ramen was delicious, we had Tantan men and Kara miso. Tantan was my favourite but if you don’t like spicy, Kara miso is also worth trying. Staff were welcoming and nice. In general, I recommend it. CASH ONLY

It is a tiny restaurant, but has amazing flavor. We enjoyed the ramen very much. We will surely come back. It is important to reserve a place in advance as it is really little space. Dishes are big at a good price.

This Ramen is very delicious. I ordered Tonkotsu ramen and Matcha tiramisu. The soup is very tasty. The homemade noodle is also good. Pork Chachu is also good. Matcha Tiramisu is very tasty. If you love ramen and matcha, I strongly recommend this restaurant.

Estelle Dining is a family-owned restaurant located off Schonhauser Alle, offering a modern dining experience. The establishment is known for its superb pizza with a unique NYC-Neapolitan style and crispy fresh salads. Guests can also enjoy an excellent selection of natural wines to complement their meals. The atmosphere is described as warm and welcoming, with friendly servers providing incredible service.
I've spent a few summers in Berlin largely looking for the best restaurants, especially those that serve pizza--until now I have not been so moved as to write a review. Food: I had their most basic pie, mostly for comparison's sake but their more signature options and the new collaborative monday menu were both so enticing I can see myself trying every one, and their menu is by no means limited to pizza, in fact it feels misrepresentative to call it a pizza spot. Nonetheless, their sourdough crust is superb, (coming from New York this is especially important to me), their toppings were more flavorful and fresh than the half a dozen other pizzas I had here this month (most of which were about 5 euro more expensive), and the dessert was the best sweet treat I have had in at least a year. Straciatella, topped over with warm chocolate mousse with a sprinkling of roasted hazelnuts (assembled before my eyes)--it tastes even better than it sounds. The wine selection was expansive, the cocktails blanced well between reliable and inventive, and the schnapps were also very well-rounded. Service: At this point it is a bit of a trope for Americans to complain about European restaurant service. Believe me, I am no stranger to the modicum of truth behind this phenomenon. Having just recently had some ludicrous wait-time experiences, I was so impressed by my server and the rest of the staff this evening. I was very promptly accomodated, despite the fact that I had not made a reservation. The only available seating was outside, which is normally a hot commodity in July in Berlin, but it happened to be raining somewhat seriously today so I had little competition (though the awning did its job well)--still they promptly offered me a warm tea, and brought out warm blankets for me in case it got cold. These may seem small, but they are examples/elements of outstanding service that I haven't experienced at any of the more expensive, fine-dining restaurants elsewhere in Berlin that I have patronized, let alone anything at this price-point, which is shockingly low considering the quality. Perhaps my familiarity with NYC prices is part of this, but such outstanding dinner and dessert for under 30 euro is a marvelous discovery. I will be returning here as often as I can manage. I started recommending Estelle to my local friends (and even some back home) halfway through my main course, I expect I will continue to sing its praises even as the memory of dessert fades months from now. Lastly, I do not review many restaurants, and this may seem a sign of inexpertise. I would understand that skepticism, but on the other hand I ate dinner out almost every night for the last month, and (again) nowhere in Berlin sparked such passion, no other dining experience moved me enough to take the time to write a review.
Owen H — Google review
We reserved a table to celebrate our son's first month, choosing a menu for two that cost around 100 euros. The experience lasted 3 hours and 15 minutes, with about 45 minutes of waiting time between courses. The portions were small, and if I hadn't inquired with the waiter, it seems the wait time would have been even longer. Unfortunately, the quality of the food did not meet our expectations, as the dishes lacked flavor and uniqueness. While we appreciated receiving a complimentary beer after raising our concerns about the long wait, it didn't compensate for our overall dissatisfaction with the service and the value of the food. the experience did not live up to what we expected for a special celebration. I wouldn't recommend this place if you're looking for good quality and prompt service.
Dante S — Google review
I was there on a weekend for brunch and it was very well visited. It is definitely more relaxed if you have made a reservation beforehand. The food and service was great!! Even when we were full we had to try the lemon poppy cake and it was worth it - The dessert was really delicious. I can definitely recommend it for brunch and will definitely come back:)
Vaish T — Google review
Great atmosphere, setting, presentation but the taste for me just wasn't there. We tried different snacks and starters, two mains and a pizza. There are several vegetarian options but I was really disappointed. The mushrooms were pretty blend and for that price, I was expecting something much more tasty and elaborated. Pizza was great though. Quite a lot of choice in wine but prices are a bit exaggerated (starts at roughly 40e/bottle). Otherwise, service was nice, friendly and fast.

Kongfu Chili is a Sichuan restaurant located near Helmholtzplatz, offering an authentic and bold dining experience. The restaurant is known for its meticulously crafted dishes that blend traditional spices with modern culinary techniques, providing a delightful mala experience. Guests can enjoy the vibrant dining atmosphere while savoring the flavors of China. The menu includes chilly noodles and appetizer options such as skewers to dip into the broth.
Delicious noodles!! I can’t handle spicy so was worried coming in but they adjusted the spice level so low that I tasted spicy but it wasn’t actually spicy (ie it didn’t hurt). I loved the texture of the noodles too. Service we really quick (we spent 45 min from arrival to departure) and I can’t wait to come back!
Fong — Google review
I loved the interior and the food. Service was kind but the food came very quick. The level of spiciness is crazy. We love to eat spicy food - really spicy food - but the three chilli’s choice was something else. My wife could not finish the bowl as it was too spicy 🌶️ and she can handle spicy food! I chose the 2 chillies and it was perfect. Yummy! The Mala potatoes and the beef starter were great as well!
Walk J — Google review
Food‘s amazing and the staff is so kind. I asked whether it’s possible to have the Two in One with peanut sauce but exchange the thin with the belted ones and that combo together with a little bit of spice, hits! Also like that they have some fresh ingredients which makes the dish feel less heavy. Would recommend ordering the cucumber as a side. Fair pricing
My V — Google review
Tasty noodles here🙂 tried a few different options, enjoyed all of them. Portions are more than enough for one person. If you’re not into spicy food ask for specifically not spicy , because „wenig scharf“ will be still scharf 🌶️ Side dishes are also worth trying.
Dmytro G — Google review
Ordered the beef noodle, was expecting the flat handmade noodles but we got a different one. Chilli flavour doesn’t have any special taste. Overall average nothing super delicious.
S — Google review
Super tasty, the extra spicy was a bit too oily. Service was quick and left us be, yet I had the feeling I could ask for anything any time. A true Berlin asian restaurant. The menu was very short and in a good way. I felt every dish was home-made and of quality. Would come again :)
Ignacio E — Google review
If it’s your first time here I’d recommend you their hand- pulled noodles, which is at the same time chewy and tender, similar to Berlin’s famous Wen Cheng but less oily. You have both spicy & non spicy version, the sauce is quite salty though. However their portion is quite tiny even for a lady, also tables are narrow. The string tastes ok but I won’t order it again.
Vanes K — Google review
This is my place to go when I’m craving for real Chinese noodles. I’m not a big fan of spicy food, but there are different options and you can always ask then not to cook them spicy. I always order “the peanut” one. That sauce IS AMAZING and the noodled are homemade. 10 out of 10

When you step into Kong, you're whisked away to a vibrant fusion of traditional Asian flavors and modern aesthetics. This pan-Asian gem offers an impressive selection of dishes influenced by Chinese, Japanese, and Thai cuisines. The chic interior design sets it apart from typical Asian eateries, creating a unique dining experience that’s hard to resist. Signature offerings like the Kong Dumplings and soy-marinated soft tofu are must-tries for any visitor.
Had a date here on Good Friday and it was perfect! I ordered the Happy Beef—lots of tender beef and great flavor. The Drunken Rice Balls were a fun and tasty surprise. Cozy atmosphere, friendly service, and the owners are such a sweet couple. Highly recommend!

Super like the Saliva Chicken and the Happy Beef Noodle Soup. Saliva Chicken - the texture was so tender, the sauce was so flavorful! Happy Beef Noodle Soup - tender beef with the delightful spiced soup, so good. The (beef) dumpling was also my favorite, I got the light version with broth and veggies. Very generous portion noodle dishes, spacious dining place.

The new owner of Kong, is a wonderful host knowledgeable and warm, from the Sichuan region of China. The authenticity in the food reflects that perfectly. The dishes felt comforting and sophisticated at the same time- packed with flavor and spice! Some of the best noodles I had in Berlin. They have a lot of vegan dishes, you'll be spoilt for choice! They can also easily adjust the spice level for your taste. Also, the salads are to die for! The enoki and cucumber salads were great - but the real hero was the Mapo tofu with noodles. This is how you make a meal taste amazing even with no meat in it. And the black sesame rice cake dessert was the perfect ending for Fall. Kudos!! This will become a regular spot for me as a vegan food lover. Follow @veg.indiway.berlin for more reviews!

KONG offers Sichuanese-inspired dishes full of flavour. Cold appetizers like sliced potato and eggplant in chili oil were a great way to start. If you eat meat, try the tender Saliva Chicken (cold poached chicken in chili oil). The noodle dishes were also tasty and comforting. Sichuan cuisine is usually known for its bold, spicy flavours so if you want extra heat, let them know and they’ll gladly adjust. You can always add more of their delicious homemade chili oil. With its warm ambience and friendly service, it’s definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area. 👉 FOLLOW @isaberlinfoodie on Instagram for more Berlin food reviews

Nestled within the vibrant Kantini Food Court at Bikini Berlin, MingTastic Ring Center is a delightful gem that serves as the little sister to the renowned Ming Dynastie. This eatery shines with its focus on handmade noodles and dumplings, particularly their hand-pulled Chinese noodles that are truly a standout in Berlin's culinary scene. During my recent visit, I was drawn in by their enticing all-you-can-eat Hotpot deal.
I went to MingTastic for the first time today, since I heard about their Hotpot all you can eat deal. Personally I was a little reluctant at first, but I was pleasantly surprised! The all you can eat buffet is well stocked and gets filled up almost immediately whenever something is empty. The employees are very nice and accommodating. The HotPot buffet is priced at 26,50€ which I think is very reasonable for the quality and quantity you are getting out of it. I am very pleased with the over all experience and will definitely come back the next time I’m in the area.

The handmade noodle is very authentic and tasty, it is completely different from those noodles you can buy from Asian supermarkt. The beef is tender and soft, with enough veggie in the bowl, the portion is large enough that I feel fulled. The staff is very nice, highly recommended!

Cookies Cream is a renowned vegetarian fine-dining restaurant located in an alleyway that was once home to a club called Cookies. Chef Stephan Hentschel offers innovative plant-based dishes such as Parmesan dumplings in white truffle broth and surprising desserts like celery ice cream with apple and walnuts.
This hidden gem in the backyard offers a delightful dining experience. The service, atmosphere, and food selection, as well as the quality, are excellent. The welcoming vibe feels like sharing a meal with friends—no unnecessary frills or strict rules. It's truly a memorable event for dinner. Plus, an early-hour booking with a discount adds extra value to the experience.

We had so much fun! I highly recommend the wine pairing. I am sober and was thrilled to see that they had a full non-alcoholic wine pairing (which included many homemade NA wines). It was an absolutely beautiful and delicious dinner. The service was top notch and the atmosphere reminded me of a NY speakeasy as we arrived at the bar. The upstairs dining area was much more vibrant and festive. Everyone seemed to be smiling and enjoying themselves. All of my dinner companions were not vegan/veg but raved about the whole dining experience. Being a vegan and sharing such a lovely experience with them felt amazing. 10/10 will go again!

Highly recommend. It was lovely. A little tricky to find - but follow the alley next to the Westin Hotel. We could only get a reservation at short notice for 4 courses so didn’t get to taste the 7 courses but it was greys nonetheless. Lots of great plant based tastes. Felt wines weren’t that good but still quite decent so perhaps opt for the sommerlier’s wine pairing. Great service with a smile and would like to come back for 7 courses!
A S — Google review
We took the five-course menu with wine pairing. To start, we got the onsen egg to share with a cocktail each. The cocktails were nothing special, and even though they might be innovative the tastes just didn’t match the quality of the rest of the meal to be honest. On the other hand, I really recommend the egg (sharing worked out great!), a symphony of textures and just a perfectly balanced palette with simple ingredients. That turned out to be the case for most of the remainder of the menu as well. Nice balance between temperatures, textures, heat, tartness, umami and new innovative flavor combinations. The bread was GREAT. Wine pairing was good, but as the menu was light so was the wines - not my personal taste and there could be more variation here (note, different types of wines but all light). The main component of strawberry dessert was bland. Coffee was incredible!! The wait for the second dish (first of the menu) was quite long. The waiter kept us informed which was good, but still too long. We took a shot together with the waiter on the house with the bill! Nice! (Not everyone got this so we felt special!). Our meal was about €445 total (+tip). We had an amazing night, but there are some minor details I think would be an easy fix for a substantially better experience: - I took sparkling, and my partner still water. I got this small metal slab under my glass so that the waiter could tell who wanted sparkling. However, it stuck to my glass multiple times which once made me spill water. Just not a nice experience. - There should be a small bread plate. The bread is so good that you want to eat it in between meals - or just not place it on the plate etc. There are crumbs on the table and once again - just not a nice experience. - The water was €7.5/person... I really think they should include this (rise prices if necessary!) as it is just not a nice gesture. - The wine is just too cold. There can be no debating of this fact! - Would like some more info about the wine pairing - Would like more info about sourcing and preparation of ingredients

Impeccable hospitality, creative Asian inspired menu, amazing wine cellar!! I had the pleasure of dining at Restaurant Tim Raue, in May 2025. They were extremely accommodating of a reservation made on short notice. As I stated above the hospitality was world class. The food was exciting, incredibly tasty but approachable, and the wine cellar is incredible. I will definitely go back.

This was truly a memorable dining experience. We ordered both menus and every single course across both the Koi & Traditional menus delivered a panoply of flavor, attention to detail, and top notch service. This is the first time I've dined at a Michelin star restaurant of any designation where every single dish was fantastic. Well worth the trip and experience!

My wife and I were in Berlin for a weekend get away. This was our first 2 star Michelin Restaurant. We had high hopes only to be sorely disappointed. Food: Others said it best, the dishes lack any semblance of balance and flavors. Its either lacking any distinct flavors or is so unbalanced it is difficult to eat. They had a dish that had liquid nitrogen just for show, not sure what it added to the dish. The palate cleanser was a wonderful refreshing dish, light, sweet and refreshing, it was perfect, until you got to the bottom, there was an overpowering jalapeno, spicey flavor. We both couldn't finish our veal cheek and wagyu beef dishes, the concentrated flavor tasted burnt and salty. Take a look at the pictures, they are both small dishes, that's how disappointing it was. Service: Started out so good, she was wonderful and did her best to be welcoming. Then it went down hill, we had a conveyor belt of staff coming through with dishes, water and wine. It was just transactional and most of the staff seemed sad and tired. Decor: This is the first time I went into a high end restaurant to see a wall painting of a Berlin street with black garbage bags. Not sure who thought this would be a good idea. But I am not particularly fond of looking at garbage bags for 4 hrs. Summary: So many better places to spend your money and time as a added bonus, dinner for two was $1,000 with wine and upcharges. No idea what Michelin is thinking, 2 STARS.

Service was excellent! We really felt like royalty. ~10 portions ~4h of lovely experience . Every round, they changed the entire cutlery “set". Somehow only the women waitresses were carrying the heavy trays… :( Food was nice, creative, but no tastes that swept us off our feet. The menu is fixed you can only pick 1 of 2 ver. We shared, so we tasted both. In our opinion, the price is unreasonable compared to what we got.

Excellent meal and service. My waiter Oliver made particular effort to make me feel welcome and chatted as a solo diner. Food excellent, you definitely want to substitute a dish for the langoustine - my favourite course. Apparently it used to be punchier, which I would have liked. Running the marathon tomorrow so opted for the non-alcoholic pairing, which was excellent, probably the best AF pairing I've had. Would never choose an AF wine, especially a red, but the chilled pinot noir was great! As it was busy I was sat downstairs, which was fine but lacked a bit of atmosphere or being able to see the kitchen. They did pre-warn me to be fair to them.
James B — Google review
We visited this restaurant recently and, unfortunately, had a very similar experience to another review we read online. The food was far too salty, and the only things we truly enjoyed were the dessert and the bottle of wine we were recommended. Perhaps we chose the wrong menu, but most of the dishes were extremely acidic — lots of pickled ingredients and mustard seeds — which really dominated the flavors. I personally don’t enjoy pickled or mustard-based food, so this style didn’t suit me at all. We also had three different servers during the evening. The two male waiters spoke very quietly and mumbled while presenting the dishes, making it hard to understand what was being said. We had to ask several times for them to repeat themselves, and at some point we simply gave up and read the menu instead. The female waiter, however, was great — clear, professional, and attentive. Overall, we left quite disappointed and wouldn’t recommend this restaurant.

Scheers Schnitzel is a casual spot with an industrial look that offers hearty servings of schnitzel, chips, and beer. Located near the East Side Gallery, it's a convenient stop after sightseeing. The menu features a variety of schnitzels made from regional meats, including classic schnitzel sandwiches and Wiener Kalbsschnitzel. The owners promise top-notch quality on their website.
Fantastic place to stop, recharge batteries with lovely schnitzel and continue visiting. You have seats in an outdoor area and also inside. The people there are extremely helpful and nice, and the food is very good. You have the typical screens to order very easily so language won't be a problem.

Food here is SO good! I came 5 years ago and is still great. Just a small nook under the bridge they do 1 thing but do it so well! Also the system is very straight forward, you order and pay (card accepted) get a number and wait until is called or up on the screen then go pick up your order. Excellent potato salad super tasty Schnitzels everything is pretty great! Worth a visit after sunset right across east gallery / Oberbaum bridge.

If you are looking for fast service and love schnitzel, this is a great place to go. You can order through your phone or the screen and you will have your order in the next few minutes. The seating is first come first serve, the space is small, but there are a lot of tables to share space. We ordered veal and pork schnitzel. The veal one was juicier. But we both enjoyed the food.

First night in Berlin and had to get traditional schnitzel..this place was close to my hotel so decided to try. The lady helped me with the order kiosk even though it is in English and French as well as German. I got the pork schnitzel with salad and potato salad with oil and vinegar which was too oily for me but the egg on top of the pork schnitzel was amazing,.light and crispy and two free sauces were great.. I had the chipotle one and th garlic aioli one..both were good. Cool vibes and great upbeat music Food was on paper plates

We came here to try their schnitzel, and ordered a plate and a burger. We got the Wiener schnitzel (veal escalope with clarified butter and cranberries, with potato salad with mayonnaise as side) and the classic burger (pork escalope with homemade remoulade, pickled cucumber and salad). They have sauce dispensers, and we liked the curry one the most. The veal schnitzel was really good, while the pork schnitzel was just okay. The cranberry sauce was tasty, and so was the potato salad. If we were back, we would only order veal, or try turkey.

Umami is an Asian restaurant located on Bergmannstrasse in Kreuzberg, Berlin. The restaurant offers a mix of vegan and non-vegan dishes, with about half of the menu being plant-based. The 1950s decor adds to the charm of the place, making it stand out among other food options in the area. Dishes like Noble Harmony, Angkor Wat's Pan, and Saigon Pancake are popular choices for both omnivores and plant-based eaters.
The place is super cozy, waitress are very kind and the service is quick. Also, the portions are huge, don't bring your almond mum here! Definitely coming back :)

This restaurant was once my favorite due to its delicious food, but I’ve been disappointed on several occasions due to inconsistent standards. First time visiting I would’ve given it five stars. The seating is not particularly comfortable, and the space is very tight, which can make for an uncomfortable dining experience. Most of my disappointing visits have occurred when the restaurant is busy and rushed. However, when it’s not overwhelmed with customers, it remains one of my preferred spots. I highly recommend the Deep-Gold Beef, as it’s my personal favorite. That said, the quality can vary—sometimes the portion sizes are smaller than expected, with less meat, or the ingredients don't have the right temperature (such as when the mangoes appear to be frozen). The rice can also be served cold, and the heat distribution being off is just not a nice experience. The drinks are excellent, though on the pricier side, and the desserts are enjoyable as well. Service quality seems to depend on the staff member, as it can feel rushed, likely due to understaffing. Overall, while I still enjoy the food when it’s at its best, consistency remains an issue.
Helin — Google review
I’ve heard a lot about this restaurant before testing it. It has a nice crowd, good menu mix, fast service (maybe too fast) and cozy shared seatings. I wasn’t impressed so much with the food, it’s good but not great. I took the weekend special, it seemed that the noodles were poured already in mass in the bowls, to the extend that it was difficult to eat them, and they were sticking to each others; same ingredients are used in many dishes, mostly vegetables, and finally the meat was not tender. But the prices are good for that. So it’s fine to go there but it’s not the best as I was told

It was a good day. The prices are reasonable, there is a lot to choose from, very tasty. Fast service, friendly waiters, the inside was very nice, even the toilets. I had one of the shrimp salads and the mango cheesecake. There were few people at the time of my visit, because it was a Monday, lunch time. I will visit again

We came with a large group (12) and they were very accommodating. I had the spicy beef noodles and they were delicious. They weren’t too spicy and you can make it hotter with the chilli crisp. Can’t recommend it enough and amazing value with how much meat you get. Huge portions so come hungry!

Restaurant
YamYam Berlin is a popular Korean restaurant located in Mitte, known for its delicious wraps, noodle soups, and vegetarian side dishes. The outdoor seating area is always bustling with people eager to savor the authentic Korean flavors offered here. Some of their must-try dishes include mandu, chajangmyun, rice bowls, pancakes, kimchi soup, and bibimbap. The generous portions and reasonable prices make it a favorite spot among locals and visitors alike.
This place was recommended by a fellow Asian foodie, and it did not disappoint. The mung bean pancake with kimchi was crispy and not too oily. Bibimbab with tofu was great too, filled with vegetables which still had a nice slight crunch and crispy rice bits at the bottom of the pot. The spicy pork rice bowl also hit a spot. The service staff were the perfect combination of friendly and attentive. The hot ginger tea with honey on the side was perfect for a cold day. And the homemade sesame ice cream was the perfect finish to a very comforting meal.
June W — Google review
Very enjoyable experience for lunch, as I remembered it from a good while back. The bibimbap was as it should be, the only thing that really bothered me was that it wasn't short grain rice but long grain rice, noticeable difference and hopefully only a temporary thing, maybe they ran out? The soup my friend had was super tasty and the fried fish cakes were a surprise hit. It gets busy during lunch time, on the weekend at a slightly later hour than on weekdays I assume.
Naomi R — Google review
We stopped here for a Korean meal in Mitte. The Sehu Mandu was really delicious, while the beef Bibimbap was good but not particularly impressive. We also ordered two beers and one cocktail along with the food. The place is divided into two service areas, and apparently drinks are served from the other side, which we were not told. As a result, the beers never arrived at all, and the cocktail only showed up after the meal was finished. The service experience was very poor. The male server who was taking care of our table was rude and dismissive. On the other hand, the woman who eventually brought the cocktail actually acknowledged the mistake and agreed that drinks should come before, not after, the food. She even took the bill and pressed the “no tip” button herself, which says a lot. Overall, tasty dumplings but a very disappointing service experience — especially with drinks.

Korean restaurant with various menus. It was kinda sad that Bulgogi was not thin enough for Bulgogi deoppbap and the portion of meat is not enough, but it is still understandable. But is it because we ordered lunch set menu? If so, it is kinda disappoining. Taste was good. Most of all, Jeon menu is recommended. Haemul jeon was just got cooked and the dipping sauce with onion was fantastic. I will definitely visit there again, but not really into bulgogi that time

Cute place with pleasant staff. Ordered bibimbap, pretty big portion, good taste, but nothing special. Also, as it is Mitte with a lots of offices and tourists, prices are higher than they should be (16,5 Euro for Bibimpap🙃) I would say it is a good place to have a meal if you are near by, but not something I would go for specifically.

The simple yet authentic menu ensures quick decision-making while the fast service guarantees a satisfying dining experience.
I don’t often give 5 stars, but this place really deserves it. The food is so flavorful, everything tastes very fresh and the portions are plenty. And the best part, all dishes are 7,90€ only - like this is such an amazing ‚what you get for what you pay’ relation! Also the food is ready super quick and the people are nice! One note: It’s super busy and nothing if you are looking for a quite and relaxed evening, this is more sth for a quick good eat before going somewhere else.

Really nice and fresh Vietnamese cuisine. The menu is not long but that may be actually a positive thing. Nice drinks - in good prices. Just banana pudding was a bit something else from what I expected - more like banana shake with peanuts on top. From main dishes I recommend curry with chicken.

very cute spot with super cheap pho! the pho itself tasted amazing and came out really fast, which i loved. the only downside is that it can get pretty crowded, so you sometimes have to wait for a table, and once you’re seated it’s a bit hard to have a conversation since everyone is sitting so close and talking over each other. also good to know it’s cash only! overall though, totally worth it for the flavor and price

busy little place but very fast service. the menu is very small. great amount of food, so the price is okay. the beef pho was very good, and I was happy they could make it without anise for me. I got the Dante coffee and was surprised because I expected it to be sweeter, but that's just a personal preference. they accept cash only, and when I made the payment I wasn't given the correct amount back. I didn't mind much because they were busy enough as it was, and I'm not about to make a scene because of 10 cents. just something to keep an eye on

Madame Ngo Une Brasserie Hanoi is a Vietnamese restaurant located in Berlin, Germany, offering a modern and stylish ambiance that combines traditional Vietnamese dishes with contemporary accents. The menu features classic pho soup, bahn mi baguettes, bun bo hue, bun cha, and banh xeo that delight with authentic flavors.
Dinner at Madame Ngo was a fantastic experience! A reservation was essential as the place was fully booked, and walk-ins were turned away. The team was super friendly, the service quick, and the food exceptional. We shared several dishes: the carpaccio with a special sauce was amazing, the chicken was incredibly soft and melt-in-your-mouth good, and the papaya salad was spot-on (though I’d skip the beef sticks—they didn’t add much). For mains, the salmon was delicious, paired with a unique and flavorful sauce, while the steak, served medium (perfect for us), was excellent, though the accompanying salad was just okay. Dessert was a light and refreshing mango ice with sticky rice—a perfect finish. The tables were close, but it was easy to hear each other, making for a cozy and enjoyable evening. Highly recommend! I’ll also share photos of the dishes to show how beautifully everything was presented.

Came a couple minutes before opening (because I didn’t get a reservation). There were plenty of tables available for walk-ins at that time. Service was swift. I had the pho with raw beef slices and it was delicious! The beef was super tender and the broth flavorful. The ginger slices in the broth was a great touch. Portion is big. If you’d like to try more dishes, I recommend coming with friends!

Beautiful place, really tasty food, pho soup is a must certainly one of the best Vietnamese restaurants I’ve tried in Europe. It has a little touch of French brasserie with beef tartare and carpaccio. The smell of pho in the restaurant is amazing. A must try.
Sabina S — Google review
I visited around 1 PM on a weekday and was able to get in after a short wait without a reservation. The broth of the pho was incredibly flavorful, and the meat was thin and tender. The interior of the restaurant was clean and well-organized, and the staff were very friendly, which left a great impression!
Hyein J — Google review
Went on a Thursday ~13:30 and the place was packed. They have the giant pots with the broth at the front so you’re greeted with a rich and warm aroma. Waited 5-10min to get a seat at a shared table. Ordered the chicken pho and Madam Ngo mix drink. I went with the server’s recommendation to get the mango flavour. Drink and food came out quickly. Madam Ngo mango mix: 6/10 Refreshing though still slightly on the sweet side. The fresh mint and citrus were lovely, but wouldn’t order again for €6. Chicken pho: 7/10 Superb broth, clear and light yet full of umami. Added a bit of fish sauce and chili oil to taste but honestly didn’t need it. Chicken had good flavour, but texture could’ve been silkier and more tender. Chicken hearts were a mix- some were hard and crunchy, others were soft. Liver was okay. If the chicken hearts were sliced, that might help with consistency. I usually do that if I’m grilling it so not sure if it’ll work the same for boiling. Pho was served with two lemon slices and chili. It was missing the bean sprouts and fresh aromatics like Thai basil, cilantro, and mint that wouldn’t elevated the pho and made it heartier. For €19 I expected better execution for the meat. Overall I’d come back here because of the sumptuous broth and quick service. I’d try the beef pho next time. It seems like the more popular one.
Justine Y — Google review
The ingredients for all dishes were fresh, the portions were generous, and the taste was, needless to say, delicious. Vietnamese beef tartare tasted like a fine dining dish. Very friendly service. We will be back again.
ES H — Google review
I live in California within the highest Vietnamese population area, so I've been spoiled by widely available variety of amazing Vietnamese cuisine that are accurate to their region. With Hanoi in their restaurant name, I ordered one phở bò tái. They have let their name down the moment I got my order and tried the broth on its own. It lacked in salt, flavorings, balance, and anything else to make it worth the price. It honestly felt like it was a second or third watered down batch of broth. No greens on the side were offered, only two lemon wedges. Their julienned ginger really sealed the deal for the worst garnish in a beef phở. Who does that? Their bún chả Hà Nội does not have grilled meat patties, just regular thinly sliced pork that's been grazed by the flames. If you care for authenticity then please skip this place. Vietnamese food deserve better than this.

Japanese restaurant
Nestled in the heart of Charlottenburg, 893 Ryōtei Japanese Restaurant is a hidden gem that surprises with its contemporary flair and vibrant atmosphere. At first glance, the exterior may seem unremarkable, adorned with graffiti and reminiscent of a bygone era as an abandoned store. However, once you cross the threshold, you're welcomed into a stunning interior that showcases Berlin's avant-garde approach to Japanese cuisine.
Visited on a Thursday evening – the place was very busy, creating a lively yet not overwhelming atmosphere. The noise level was on the louder side, but still pleasant. Service was exceptionally friendly and attentive. We opted for the tasting menu, leaning more toward fish and meat than vegan options. While the steak and the chocolate dessert were good, they didn’t quite live up to the standard set by the other courses. Overall, a clear recommendation – we thoroughly enjoyed the evening.
Ingo C — Google review
893 Ryōtei is one of those places that grabs your attention before you even step inside. The entrance is super low-key — blink and you’ll miss it — which weirdly adds to the charm. It sets the vibe right away: cool, edgy, kind of mysterious. Inside, the atmosphere is a bit of a mixed bag. It’s definitely aiming for that moody, intimate feel, but honestly, it’s dark. Like, squinting-at-the-menu dark. And the table setup’s a little cramped — not ideal if you’re sharing a bunch of dishes, which you’ll probably want to do here. We spent a lot of time rearranging plates just to make space. Food-wise? No complaints. Everything we tried was super fresh, well-made, and packed with flavor. But heads up: portions are small. We had to order extra just to feel like we’d actually had dinner. So don’t come starving unless you’re ready to shell out a bit more. The real standout was the service — the staff were awesome. Super friendly, knew the menu inside and out, and happy to walk us through it all. That kind of attention always makes a difference. One weird thing: the timing of dishes was way off. Mains showed up before the starters, and not even at the same time. My plate came way earlier than my partner’s, and then the appetizers rolled in late. Definitely not what you expect from a place at this price point. Speaking of which — yeah, it’s pricey. You’re paying for quality and style, but between the portion sizes and the uneven pacing, it doesn’t exactly scream great value.
Valeria D — Google review
The food was outstanding 10/10, every bite was delicious. The waitress was also very attentive. However, I do agree with the comments that say that portions are small, we had the royal menu for 2 and I had to buy something else to eat on the way home. As said, the ingredients quality is outstanding so maybe that can justify the price 🤷🏽‍♀️

Nice restaurant. Food and service was amazing, just a bit too pricy, but you pay for the atmosphere and the place. They seem to had a problem with the illumination in the bar seats by the kitchen, the light were going on and off. If you go early the music in not that loud, but latter in the evening gets noisy. I was just visiting Berlin for few days so i can’t say if this is a very good restaurant by the Berlin standards, but its something you can find somewhere else

This restaurant is truly unique and atmospheric. If you don’t already know it’s there, you might think the location is just an abandoned building covered in graffiti. Once inside, however, you discover a beautifully designed interior with a moody, intimate vibe. The food is absolutely excellent, and the service at the bar is top-notch. A wonderful dining experience overall – I highly recommend it!

Rüyam Gemüse Kebab is a popular spot in Berlin known for its delicious offerings. The Gemuse Doner im Brot, a chicken kebab with roasted vegetables and flavorful garlic and spicy sauces, is a favorite among visitors. The bread and durum are both excellent, with the bread being particularly noteworthy. While the seating area may not be the most aesthetically pleasing, the food more than makes up for it.
Wow. My son found this place online. The queue was long when we arrived. And we know why. The food was amazing. It was my daughter’s 16th. She was so happy. Don’t judge a book by its cover because if you do you will miss out on probably the best kebab I’ve ever eaten.
Claire C — Google review
I went here to have dinner, and ordered the best seller: gemüse kebab. It came with chicken, cheese, sauces (one spicy and another with garlic) and multiple vegetables. The pita bread was hot and crispy, the meat tender and flavourful and the rest of the ingredients made it a 10. They have a tea machine to get one while you wait or for dessert. The worst part is that the place is packed, and the wait time can be a bit long.
Tasting S — Google review
If you plan your day right using the Google Map's traffic data, you can skip the long line. When I arrived, I just had to wait for like 10 mins to place my order, 20 mins to get my order. However when I was leaving it there, I saw a huge line out of the store. The food quality is very good. It is the most delicious Doener in the whole Berlin. Simply because they are using real meat instead of using meat combined with bread. It is Doener, so it was pretty oily. Portion was enough. Not too much or not enough to make one pax full. There was free tea for everyone to grab. Which makes the experience very authentic. The ambiance is very clean and enjoyable. The only problem was that it only accepts cash. I sincerely wish that this country moves away from being cash based. I mean not even 3rd world countries use cash anymore. Shouldn't the first economy of Europe do something? Rüyam Gemüse Kebab is absolutely amazing! It’s one of those must-try local spots in Berlin where you really taste why kebabs are such a big part of German street food culture. The meat is perfectly grilled — juicy and flavorful — and the fresh vegetables add such a nice balance. The bread is warm, soft, and slightly crispy on the edges. Everything comes together perfectly with their special sauce! Even though there’s usually a queue, it moves fast and the food is totally worth the wait. You can really feel the lively Berlin vibe here — simple, authentic, and full of flavor. Definitely one of the best kebabs I’ve ever had in Germany!

Dürüm Döner was juicy and tasted really good. Big portion as well. However, on midday Saturday it took about 50 minutes from walking in to having it in my hands: the queue to order was "only" around 10 minutes but it took another 40 for the kitchen to fulfill the order. Cash only.
Jonas M — Google review
overrated :/ long line, waited for 40 mins (it’s friday night to be fair) but the döner wasn’t even that good. the meat (chicken) was nice, but the grilled veggies were cut so small, you couldn’t even taste them! the bread was too thick and not crispy enough. sauces were so low inside the döner and the veggies-meat distribution was not even at all so it wasn’t a good döner experience overall. immerhin gabs tee und war trotzdem lecker, aber verglichen mit anderen dönern hat rüyam unverhältnismäßig gute reviews.

I recently visited Rüyam Kebab in Berlin and it was fantastic. The meat was perfectly seasoned, the vegetables were fresh, and the portion was generous. The staff were friendly and the service was quick, even though the place was busy. One of the best kebab experiences I’ve had in Berlin. Highly recommended!

Restaurant Hot Spot is a popular dining venue in Berlin, offering a unique blend of Chinese cuisine and Riesling wines. Established in 2007 by the Wu family, this restaurant is known for its focus on dishes from Szechuan, Jiangsu, and Shanghai provinces. The menu features a harmonious mix of sweet & sour, spicy, and mild flavors using the freshest ingredients available.
Simple but absolutely excellent food. The dish I had had everything it needed and nothing more. Just 100% spot on. Also the wines by the glass work perfectly with the food. No frills, just perfect. The staff was lovely, friendly and attentive. Thank you so much for your hospitality!

The food is delicious and - as far as I can tell - authentic sichuan cuisine. Prices are on the higher end. 5 wontons in chili oil at €9,50, chicken with vegetables €20+ and veggie only dishes from €17. If they didn't have Asian art on the walls you could think it's an old German restaurant. So don't go there for ambience;) But it's well established with lots of regular guests. So better to make a reservation before. I would recommend going for lunch starting at €9. Then it's more value for money.

1st time visit today. The Wine Menu is very impressive. They have some great and rare Wine. The food was really good. I had the Won Ton Soup which was very tasty. The Beef was also pretty good. My Mom had the Duck. It was very crispy and the inside very soft and not dry. As a desert we split the fried banana with vanilla ice cream. Great service and very accommodating. I look forward to my next visit.

Possibly the best when list in Berlin. Generally very fair prices. (Excellent prices for premium German wines). Ask for Martin.

Their food is great but the staffs are rude and unfriendly, their service is horrible and hostile. Ordered for two separate dishes that comes with rice but they only brought one plate of rice and when I tried to ask why the waiter was so rude to even respond.

Angry Chicken is a compact, low-key spot that offers Korean spicy fried chicken, burgers, noodles, and bibimbap rice. It's the little sister of Kimchi Princess and serves up delicious burgers, fries, and fried chicken with various levels of spiciness. The menu features Insta-worthy options with flavors ranging from friendly to furious. Customers can enjoy a full meal combo for an affordable price. The restaurant is Halal certified and offers moderately spicy and very filling options.
It is exactly what you expect when you think of crispy and tasty chicken, totally recommended and reasonably priced !
DAVID M — Google review
Very disappointing. I was very excited to try this place for a long time. I have seen many good reviews about their fried chicken. To be honest it was one of the worst experiences of my life I have made with fried chicken. I have ordered 9 chicken wings with soy and garlic sauce. There was any flavour of garlic. The chicken wings where very small with a lot of batter on it. The flavour was so blend. I don’t understand the hype for this place. What a waste of money. I have tried many other Korean fried chicken places especially in the uk. They are much better. I will never go there again.
Sheikh S — Google review
Chicken was nice, portion could be a bit bigger. Potato coated hot dog was pretty mid. I didn’t like the taste of sausage, coat was okay but I expect that main charakter - sausage - will be really high quality and tasty. Well, didn’t continue eating this after first bite. 🥲
Patrycja&Conrad — Google review
The Angry Chicken Bites are my absolute favorite here—no other place does them better. Are they healthy? Not at all. But are they delicious? Absolutely!
Burcu T — Google review
The staff were very welcoming and took the time to explain all the choices, which made ordering easy. The chicken itself was delicious—crispy, flavorful, and really satisfying.
Agustin C — Google review
I was extremely happy with this food. From a very long time I wanted to eat proper Korean chicken and finally I found it. You can choose chickens in different tastes and they all taste cool. Hotdog was top of the top for me! It really was my taste. Everything also looked nice. The only thing which I would change is the quality of a chicken, I had a feeling that it's a cheap sort of chicken and it would be 10 times nicer if it would be a better one.

Thai restaurant
Kin Dee is a stylish restaurant that offers modern interpretations of traditional Thai dishes and tropical cocktails. Chef Dalad Kambhu, originally from Bangkok, has quickly gained international acclaim for her innovative takes on classic Thai curries and noodle dishes. The restaurant's use of local produce and premium ingredients has earned it a Michelin star in 2019. Kin Dee provides a warm retreat with bold Thai flavors and aromas, making it a must-visit spot in Berlin.
A pleasant surprised for us to walk-in & able to find a nice table next to window (my favorite type of seating). It’s a three-courses meal. We enjoyed this boutique style of dining and specialty dishes. This style really elevated the Thai cuisine to the next level — not only it was delicious but also skillful decorated & coordinated. The staff was knowledgeable & explaining the concept of chef & owners ideas. The food was very delicious with some nice twists & gave it an upscale feel. Super friendly staff & helpful with details of dishes. For us, it’s definitely worth a try & recommend for others to try out new ways / innovative of food. Happy dining ! Life is good 😊
Hieu N — Google review
I was really looking forward to experiencing this restaurant and while I feel like they are trying it we can’t ignore that it does have a Michelin star and I don’t feel that it’s currently at the level it needs to be. The staff training and attention to detail is simply not there. The food, while I enjoyed it, was very much overpriced and there are in my opinion better Thai options in Berlin right now in a lower price range. I do however very much appreciate their ethos, and that they source local, sustainable and ethical ingredients. I will try it again in a year or so when they have hopefully worked out their teething problems.

This restaurant had amazing service the waiters answered all my questions and very clearly explained each dish. I found this place to be a great price for what you get. I tried three different appetizers plus a main and desert. The flavored reminded of south east Asia but with new and inventive twist. I loved the chive bar and the tapioca dumpling. Don’t even get me started on the wine pairings well worth every penny. And I actually left full
Ceraun L — Google review
Truly nice experience, the food had just the right fresh flavors, textures and good alcoholic pairings. The light makes the dishes pleasant to the eye. Great service and timing. Menu was 79 pp with out beverages (two starters, two main dishes, desert). Would visit again since they’re menu changes and it was an authentic way to try traditional thai food :)
Balerina — Google review
We had a wonderful evening at Kin Dee. Great food (especially the last starter which was a kind of Fried Pork Praline with fermented chili sauce and the main dishes for sharing). Decent and fair priced wine menu and nice service. Definitely recommended - we will be back soon.
Jonas H — Google review
We were there as a big group and I really loved all the food! It was really delish and I could have eaten much more 😅 but next time hopefully. The chef made vegetarian options for us and she is really a lovely person. The service was very friendly. The only downside.. it’s in the middle of nowhere for me.🤠will definitely come back.
Hans M — Google review
Plates that took ages to arrive and most of the times cold, didn't make me any impressed by this restaurant. The overall impression was a big OK, nothing more than that and probably would not come back. I have to say that the non alcoholic drinks were really good and despite the price(6€) I enjoyed. Is this really worth it a Michelin star? Note: I didn't leave a huge tip, and I noticed how the service really got worse.
Marcos F — Google review
** Food ** Service * Atmosphere This is a truly special place. There were 3 of us so we were lucky enough to try all the entrees and appetizers. I love Thai food and I would say this was very good representation of Thai food but with a finer dining experience/mentality. The flavors were all fantastic. Ask for more rice, you’re going to want to pour the empty dish remaining sauce all over it!!

Da Jia Le is a popular restaurant in Berlin known for its Northeastern Dongbei Chinese cuisine and local craft beer. It's the only place in the city where you can enjoy traditional jiaozi paired with German beer. The dining room offers a casual atmosphere, and patrons can expect attentive service and expertly cooked Dongbei dishes. The menu features steamed fish, fried pork, and an array of flavorful vegetable dishes.
We sat outside and it was very hot and sunny which was great but also a bit annoying since the sun was shining in our faces. We were very happy when the restaurant opened their shades when they saw us struggling. Also the food was very tasty.

After some Google Maps -mining found, that they served Sichuan boiled beef (Shuizhu Niurou). Was not dissapointed. Food was delicious, service was great. If I lived in Berlin, I would eat here once a week. It was that good.

Authentic Chinese food. We (my wife and I) went there on Saturday evening (at around 8 pm on 15th March) without any reservation and got a table. Good stuff and flavourful food. Must try - Sichuan-style pork stew in chili sauce.

The most amazing Chinese restaurant you can find in Berlin. A culinary experience I was missing since I was last time un Shanghai. The pork cubes seasoned in soy sauce are a thing of beauty you must not miss. Prices are totally reasonable and service is fast. Location is simple. Will definitely come back to try other dishes from the extensive menu. Great selection of beers too.

One of the best places to eat authentic Chinese food in Berlin! For a starter the cucumber and potato salad are soooo good!! I love the eggplant dishes and the braised pork, it is always is nice and tender. The Sichuan stew with fish is also very good but really spicy so be careful. This time I had a sauerkraut stew with fish and it was nice and mild. The fish is always very tender and doesn’t taste fishy at all !

Wonderful and entirely authentic! What's crazy is that the pictures in the menu don't do the food justice. The smoked tofu with corriander was an absolute stunner - with savory and sweet crystals that really delighted the palate. Food service was fast and friendly and the interior decor felt homey and unassuming. There are tables that fit both small (<= 4) or large (>10) parties.

Even though I am not a fan of German style chicken döner with sauces etc, I liked the sauce and cheese inside. There was a long queue when we were there. However, they have screens inside so that you can track your order while sitting on the table which is a quite nice thing. I would personally prefer to get beef doner for 8.3 euros somewhere else, but if you are a chicken fan, you should definitely visit this place.

If you're looking for a döner in Berlin, this is the place to go! RüyaM Gemüse serves one of the most delicious döner kebabs I’ve ever tried. This low key option suggested on Eater38 and it did not disappoint. The bread was crispy on the outside and fluffy in the middle and all the chicken and sauces were super flavorful. The fries were made fresh to order and were piping hot and a perfect pairing.

“Hands down the best kebab in Germany! 🍽️” This place is always buzzing with people, and for good reason. Despite the crowd, service is impressively fast and smooth. Every time I’m in Berlin, it’s a must-stop for me. The kebab is loaded with fresh veggies, wrapped in perfectly toasted bread, and topped with a delicious sauce that ties it all together. Absolutely unbeatable!

We visited this restaurant to try authentic kebab and it did not disappointed. Kebab was prepared pretty quickly, good quality meat, salad and sauces... All balanced with a zesty lemon. As my son mentioned and I have to agree: one of, or the best kebab we ever tried Additionally, the staff is friendly and the whole place have a cool atmosphere I highly recommend it 👌

This is one of the top places to visit in berlin for döner. Having lived in Mannheim for some time, i was pleasantly surprised by the sheer quantity and sublime taste of the Döner which was provided here. I had a vegetable döner with falafel and my friend tasted a Gemüse döner mit Hähnchen (Chicken). Both were extraordinary and total worth the wait and value for money. Although I wanted to point out, if you are planning to visit during peak times, be aware of the huge line and a wait time for anywhere from 10-30 Minutes. Having said that the restaurant team handled the crowd really well. I would strongly recommend this place if you sre looking to taste Döner in Berlin. Happy eating 🤤

Amazing spot for authentic, delicious food! The atmosphere is really nice both indoors and outdoors. The service is great and very attentive. The food tasted so good, was presented very nicely and was prepared very quickly. There are many interesting options to choose from. Given the taste and quality, it is priced reasonably. Been there on a Sunday evening before 7pm. It was empty at first but around 7:30pm the place was packed. There are a lot of small tables. Good if you don't like to share a table with strangers. The tables can be combined so it's also suitable for crowded groups. We had Shaking Beef, Angry Chicken, a refresher and a cocktail. Everything was delicious. Can't complain about the food. The staff is nice. Young people. They do their job, no chit chat. The prices are average for the area. Overall, I would recommend this place. I would definitely go again if I'm around.

I loved the vibe inside, it's really chill with soft lights, nice plants all around and the wood furniture looks great. The food was really good with very correct prices. I ordered a Shaking Beef but with tofu and the tofu was delicious, really good; it came with sweet potatoes fries and they were great too. Can only recommend trying out the tofu (you can replace any meat with it). Sadly they only offered one dessert on the menu and since I don't really like coconut, I didn't order it. They were really nice and service was great, I enjoyed eating there very much.

Order via Wolt, spent 40€ on 1 bowl, 1 order of chicken thighs and a KFC burger Both the burger and thighs were burned and unable to be consumed. After contacting the app (with pictures) they refused a refund and only issued “huge apologies”. Extremely disappointing as this was a regular restaurant we used to visit. Feel free to skip this restaurant if you are in an ordering mood
JVM — Google review
The food is still very good, even if the preparation has become a little less loving over the years and with daily routine. What is an absolute no-go, however, is the pricing for orders via WOLT as opposed to takeaway. The portion sizes are absolutely identical, the preparation is the same, and if you pick it up yourself, you even get a WOLT bag. Therefore, it is completely incomprehensible that a Bibimbab costs €9.50 in-store and €13.90 (+46%) via WOLT. The Kimcheesilla Fries cost €8.50 in-store and €12.90 (+51%) via WOLT. On top of that, you pay WOLT for the delivery. I can understand that restaurants try to somehow compensate for their fees incurred at WOLT. But at this level, the pricing is more like double middle finger extended to customers.

Nice Korean place. We’ve came here on Saturday evening, it wasn’t too crowded, but there were not many spots. Luckily most people were taking their food to go. We’ve ordered two burgers and fries. Even with all the orders, we got our food quite fast. The burgers were very good. Nice mix of sauce, patty and kimchi. For my taste the patty was a bit to dry, but I am a fan of juicy burgers, still very tasty. Would come again for sure and try other dishes.

Delicious food and friendly staff! I loved everything of the box option, the bao was soft and juicy, fries were crispy and it goes amazingly with the peanut sauce. The dumplings were just perfect! It was fresh and tangy. The portion was good, fulfilling. The box option is great to get to know their food and to have a more satisfying meal. Unforgettable amazing street food place. I rarely visit places often. This is one of them in Berlin. The food is very tasty and the bao bun something special not easily found. The dumplings are nice and the salad with it is rich and the opposite of bland. The variety of vegan options is not huge but definitely worth it trying all. They don't have seating themselves but you can sit in the brew house next to it that offers great beer. The atmosphere next to Tempelhofer Park is either quiet or buzzing depending on the time of the day. The service is in a window and you take it yourself. The employees there were nice and sometimes speak multiple languages. Try out for yourself.

I was here for the pork dumplings. From an Asian perspective, they weren’t hot or spicy enough. It was quite busy, so the wait was a bit long. Card payment only, but the buzzer pickup system is very convenient. You can buy alcohol right next door Perfect spot if you’re just looking for a quick bite.

I tried the vegan fried chicken and the tofu baos, they were both delicious! The drink (non-alcoholic) is brewed next door and was also very good.

Small pick-up place where you can sit outside. Dumplings, Bao buns, fries and sauces are all tasty and the prices are fair (combo box for 14€ which includes all of the above). There might be some better dumplings and buns out there but you won't regret going here. Perfect place when you're around Tempelhofer Feld.
Alexander R — Google review
I ordered the bao, hoping for something flavorful and well-balanced, but unfortunately, it was quite disappointing. The bun itself was dense and heavy, lacking the light and airy texture that makes a good bao enjoyable. The cilantro added on top had no aroma or taste, which made the overall flavor profile feel flat. The biggest issue, however, was the pork. Instead of tender, juicy meat, what I received was a thick piece of pork composed of roughly 10% edible meat, 10% firm fat, and around 80% soft, unrendered fat that was impossible to eat. It felt poorly trimmed and unpleasant in both texture and taste. Overall, the dish seemed carelessly prepared and not up to the quality one would expect. I really wanted to enjoy it, but it ended up being a disappointment.
Yamila M — Google review
Pfff, the waiting time (also after ordering the food!) was ridiculously long, vegan dumplings tasted weird and greasy, the japanese coleslaw missed any sort of dressing, oh and the dumpling sauce we paid for was also missing in our order. Pork dumplings and bao were okay. Overall experience was soooo annoying that I cannot recommend this place unfortunately until the staff finds a more efficient way to sell simple take away food. 😒

Chicken bulgogi, kimchi jiggae and kimchi pajeon for 2 pax. Superb! Happy to find a Korean restaurant tuck nicely near the East Side Gallery. Kimchi Jeon was abit underwhelming but the rest were great. Highly recommended! Great staff too

Been there twice, once in 2023 and once in 2025. Since 2023, the prices have seriously gone up, even the water was really expensive. I am quite disappointed that the prices went up that much, but the food is nonetheless really good.
Swueemie — Google review
This was our first time to this place & that too a random food stop. Tbh, the food is amazing, we ordered the glass noodles with marinated Tofu and a bowl of Kimchi soup (both dishes vegetarian) and it was so delicious that we ended up ordering Pannacotta dessert to finish the night! The people are also helpful and give nice recommendations, you see ;) Totally recommend this place if you are in Berlin! 😀

Turkish restaurant
Izmir Köftecisi (Konak-Grill) is a laid-back eatery in Kreuzberg, Berlin, renowned for its ample sandwiches and traditional kebab platters. Established in 1993, the restaurant is dedicated to serving fresh and high-quality köfte. Customers highly recommend the Kofte Teller and Spicy Sauce with Parsley Rucola Salad. The generous portions make it great value for money, with an XXL plate easily satisfying multiple diners.
While walking around Berlin and sampling local cuisine, we stumbled upon a small restaurant. We ordered the XXL plate, and the portion was so generous it could easily feed two adults and a child. Having tried köfte in Istanbul, I can confidently say this one tasted even better. It was incredibly delicious, and we decided to take some with us for our drive out of Berlin. The customer service was excellent as well. I highly recommend this place—you get great value for your money.
S B — Google review
In my opinion, this is just an average Turkish köfte place with nothing particularly special about it. The köftes were quite ordinary, to be honest. I could name at least three other restaurants within 300–500 meters that serve much better köfte. Also, the staff’s attitude towards customers was definitely not good. I think they should be more polite. Even though we specifically asked them not to add extra salt to the bread, they still did, and when we mentioned it, they responded in a rude manner. I believe restaurant staff should be polite and understanding. Otherwise, why would anyone want to come back? I wouldn’t say their köfte was terrible, but it definitely wasn’t impressive either. There are much better places in Berlin, even just within Kreuzberg, there are several far better options.
Recep B — Google review
There sandwiches here are amazing and fresh. It seems like they make their own bread in house. All the vegetables are fresh and pre sliced. The area it is located doesn't seem the safest at night. But definitely recommend for the food.
Jonathan P — Google review
Great sandwiches, ask for additional spicy sauce if you like spicy food. Main downside: i wish they could give the option to offer the sandwich in a thinner bread Tasty Ayran Very friendly staff, thank you
Wal — Google review
The XXL Köfte Sandwich is quite filling and tastes great. The atmosphere is clean. The staff is polite but a bit rushed. The atmosphere is a bit intimate, but it's okay.
Hazem K — Google review
It is an okay sandwich. Nothing impressive, it was very dry and does not have that much content inside for the price they are selling it. Not bad but wouldn’t recommend coming back.
Lia M — Google review
Great place to grab a quick bite. We tried the kofte xxl sandwich which was good. The meat was great, and juciy with nice flavour. The sauce wasn't particularly great, I think it was garlic with dill which was too strong (didn't try the spicy sauce). The highlight was the meat really, the rest was ok.
Sam A — Google review
The kofte im brot is one of the best things I've eaten in Berlin, better than the gemuse kebabs. The bread is hot, the kofte are fresh and the spicy hit makes this sandwich an excellent all in one meal. The service isn't the friendliest. They take card payments.

Korean restaurant
Nestled just across from the Jewish Museum, NaNum is a delightful gem that elevates Korean cuisine to an art form. This bi-level space boasts a breezy atmosphere and a charming leafy patio, making it perfect for both casual lunches and elegant dinners. The creative mind behind this culinary haven, Jinok Kim—a former classical singer—infuses her dishes with playful experimentation.
You can have a chance to enjoy premium and being like authentic Korean cousine. It is differentiated from normal Korean restaurant. A kind of Michelin style Korean experience under the owner's philosophy who has majored vocal music at the berlin university and studied ceramic art and made all food utensils by herself!
Theofilos S — Google review
The plating is exceptional in this restaurant. All of the food is served on hand built ceramics which is pretty beautiful. The flavors are really authentic to Korea. There were some novel use of fermentation which I quite enjoyed. There were some tastes that I had actually never experienced before as someone that has both visited Korea and also had Korean heritage. Having said that to be honest, I wasn’t blown away by the main courses. We had both vegan bebimbop as well as the Neck of the pork today. From the other reviews, it sounds like the food is rotated so perhaps this is a non-issue from other meals but when I go to a fine dining restaurant, I really would like for there to be something special in the main course. My main course was the vegan Plate and it was just some small Bachchan with some rice served with a radish top soup and some vegetable based sauce. I’ve had Korean food and a lot of different context and to be honest I’ve had a lot of bibimbop in my life and it’s one of my favorite dishes. This one just didn’t do anything for me. The tofu dish right before it was also just OK. The tofu is handmade, but you can get handmade tofu pretty abundantly in Seattle, where we’re from so again, it was hard to justify that this was an entire dish. Perhaps in Berlin this is more novel and I understand that due to a different audience this might be really interesting but for me, it was just OK. If you’re not used to a lot of Korean food, it was a great experience. I’m sure because it was really for the most part. Well done. I love the fact that they have natural wines as a wine pairing. I did like all of the wines except for the last one and I really like the mission that this restaurant has so I really wanted to give it five stars, but I just couldn’t.
Jennifer L — Google review
Our dining experience in NaNum was marvelous. Each course surprised us with wide range of taste profiles and extreme attention to details. The combinations of flavors in each plate provided us with a unique, and flowing culinary experience. Each component was cooked in excellence, and was combined beautifully. Lastly, the hand-made plates were absolute artworks and such a wonderful way to present well-crafted food.

One of the best dinner experience I've had in my life! Definitely recommend. Extremely welcoming and friendly staff! The taste is out of this world amazing. Every detail and thought in the menu is outstanding and we'll thought with a gentle touch by the heart. If you're seeking a nice fancy dinner that will rock your world, this is the place to come 🫴 Definitely recommend and will come back 🧡

The place is definitely must go for food enthusiasts. Not a place to go if you want to leave with a bellyful. Get ready for minimalistic offerings with tastes to build a dream on. Ambience is very good. Wine and non-alcoholic beverage pairings are very nice. Don’t miss to check out ceramics made by hostess and grab one for home.

Went for dinner, there was either Fish or Veggie menu for today. All three of our group chose the fish menu. Such a great combination of seafood and traditional Korean way of cooking! haven't had such fresh seaweed for a long time 👍 Excellent experience 😉

We tumbled more or less into this place, not know what to expect. There was a menu for everyone at night. It was a composition of the chef put together to a perfect sinfonie of taste. The staff is very friendly and aware of your needs. Even the owner came up to our table and made sure that everything was to our satisfaction. She is a very friendly lady. This restaurant is a hidden gem and we can only recommend it and can come back.

Great and friendly service! The lunch menu has few options. I had bibimbap and it’s quite light and tasty with different appetizers. The appetizers are homemade and very tasteful. The service was very friendly and nice. I enjoy dining there and would go again! Highly recommend.

Restaurant
The chinese restaurant China Restaurant Fu Li Lai is a great place to enjoy authentic, delicious food at reasonable prices. There's a wide variety of options on the menu, and the staff are helpful with finding what you're looking for. The pan fried lamb dumplings and peanut hand pulled noodles are two of our favourites, but there are plenty of other (quite spicy) Sichuan dishes to try as well.
Very authentic northern Chinese eating experience. The food and people remind me of home a lot. I ordered lamb soup noodles. Not what I typically get but they are surprisingly good. The soup is clear and not greasy. It tastes savory and peppery, and has a subtle hint of spicy taste. The choice of lamb cut is perfect, still tender after cooking and no gamy taste. The portion is generous, lots of lamb slices and a huge amount of noodles. I couldn’t finish it and the leftover can definitely last me for another meal. Handmade noodles are bouncy and filling. Can only recommend.

Very cute hidden spot to enjoy a lunch far from the noise of the city. Dishes were well done! Be careful not ordering too much, portions are pretty big! Service was nice as well :)
Serena M — Google review
We had a good dining experience at Fu Li Lai, I would say one of the most authentic Chinese restaurants I’ve tried in Berlin. If you’re into bold flavors, spice, and a real taste of home-style Chinese cooking, this place is a must-visit! we ordered: Stir-Fried String Beans – Bursting with garlic and wok hei, beautifully blistered and flavorful. Braised Pork Hunan Style – Deep, rich flavors with a pleasant kick of heat. The pork was melt-in-your-mouth tender. Sautéed Beef with Celery – Light, fragrant, and comforting. Great contrast between tender beef and crunchy celery. Chinese Burger (Rou Jia Mo) – The flaky bun and juicy pork filling were absolute perfection. Chicken Feet dish – If you're an adventurous eater, don’t miss this one! Bit Spicy and deliciously gelatinous. Cold Salads – A great mix of spicy, tangy, and refreshing starters that balanced the hot dishes perfectly. The staff was friendly, efficient, and happy to guide us through the menu. The vibe is casual but cozy, and the flavors speak for themselves. If you're looking for real Chinese flavors and not just Westernized versions, Fu Li Lai should be at the top of your Berlin food list. Can’t wait to go back and explore more from the menu!

They served an original chinese cuisine inspired from the cities that eat more spicy. All food tasted so good. Visited here several times and my favorite always the spicy sour dumpling soup. For not spicy lover ask for their eggplant and braised beef its never gone wrong :).

I have been searching for a great value and authentic Chinese food for a while. Their dumplings taste great. Portions are big and I also had good beer with it. The service was friendly the first time, not so the second time… I went there a third time to give it another chance and the service was good 👍🏾

I revisited this restaurant after more than a year. All the dishes we ordered were underwhelming. Chili chicken was very dry with tiny diced chicken pieces. 凉皮 (cold skin noodles) was probably from premade package… it was a total disappointment.
QG — Google review
What an absolute gem of food experience. I certainly am no one who would say: Let's go have some Chinese food. But this place was delicious and so different and authentic to all those restaurants I know. All of the dishes were so fragrant and flavoursome. I recommend the beef in chilli oil soup with rice. The yummy fried dumplings, the fungi salad and the sticky aubergine slices. I absolutely liked it and we ordered too much anyway. It's a must try and go with an empty stomach. It's delicious!!!

Bangkok Bites is a delightful culinary haven nestled in the heart of Kollwitzkiez, where the vibrant flavors of Thai street food come alive. The menu features beloved classics like Pad Thai, various curries, and spicy papaya salad, all crafted with authentic ingredients sourced from Thailand and Laos. Don't miss out on their seasonal fish dishes paired with exquisite dressings or the tantalizing meat skewers grilled over lava stones.
Laab gai was delicious! So juicy, a bit smoky… very satisfying! Also loved the outdoor seating. It’s cozy and quiet.

More of a 4.5. Not your run-of-the-mill asian restaurant in Berlin, slightly more expensive, but I think this is the clientele they’re going for. The portions are big, the food actually spicy and really good, and the service was great, we went on a Sunday morning. Good atmosphere in a lively but quiet part of the kiez. The only reason why I couldn’t give it a 5 is that I’m originally from southeast asia and I know the real price of the dishes. Granted we’re in Europe, but still. Would def go back here soon.

Very good food! Loved the tofu pad krapao and mango sticky rice! Thai tea was as sweet as it should be! Spicy is more on the mild side, but I love really spicy food, so I guess it's good for german tongues :)

Lovely place to have lunch with friends. At least we had our experience during lunch. The waiter was very nice and attentive. Food was delicious (we ordered a few different dishes and shared it to eat together much like tapas but basically just a regular Asian dining experience 😊), quite affordable, and the place has a good atmosphere. Really recommend for anyone missing the taste of Thai food or Asian food in general. Would definitely come again. 😊
Zantika — Google review
The food at Bangkok Bites was delicious but the only thing I would criticize is the service. Too many times we tried to catch the attention of the waitress, but they were way too busy and never looked our way. The Thai iced tea was too sweet so we had to ask to get a new one, but it was still way too sweet. They put way too much condensed milk into the Thai iced tea and it didn’t have the famous orange color. The food was really delicious though!
Yen B — Google review
The green thai milk tea was sooo good! I also recommend the pork pad kra pao, very flavourful. Everything was good, cute atmosphere and lovely staff.
Dilara J — Google review
Top tier Thai food - the chicken in the Thai curry literally falls off the bone, it’s so succulent and soft, perfectly cooked. Papaya salad has a great kick, not for the faint hearted but it’s addictively spicy. Get it with the pork neck skewers - meat is tender and marinaded with a punchy flavour. Recommend washing it down with the Thai tea with condensed milk.

District Một – Saigon Street Food is a vibrant culinary haven that captures the essence of Vietnamese street food right in the heart of Berlin. This lively venue, reminiscent of bustling markets, offers an array of authentic dishes like refreshing mango salad, succulent satay skewers, and the beloved Banh Mi sandwich. With its colorful decor featuring plastic stools and playful elements like artificial flowers and Buddha statues, it creates a casual yet inviting atmosphere.
Food was very authentic and delicious which is very difficult to find in Berlin as a Vietnamese person from the Bay Area. Highly recommend the banh uot. Staff were attentive and the menu very expansive and adventurous within viet cuisine which I loved! They also threw in an amazing pandan waffle dessert with strips of green mango, toasted coconut, and drizzled with mango and cream. It was incredible. Finally some really good viet food in Berlin.
Phuong L — Google review
A really magical spot to try out authentic Vietnamese food. Everything we ordered was fresh, prepared with care and smelled amazing. But I can't give 5 stars because we've been feeling rushed by the staff during the entire stay, even if the place was mostly empty.. Also the menu is huge and without pictures, so if you're inexperienced you'll need to do some research by yourself cause they won't guide you through it. I couldn't take much photos despite the place was absolutely worth it also because of this.
Irene A — Google review
Had crispy rice with pork in a sweet n savoury broth which was delicious. The pork was reminiscent of the smokey pork that you get in Vietnam on the street corners. Classic bun cha flavours! Love the seating outside on the pavement - also further emphasises the atmosphere of vietnamese street food culture!
Annemi T — Google review
As an Asian, the food is really not favorable and oily. All the texture is underwhelming, and lack of flavor. It might look good, if you are looking for ambient but not flavor, yeah go, but if you are hoping to have good food, nope! After eating, I feel disgusting

The place is colorful, and the details of the electric cables are fascinating. It feels as if you’re not indoors but eating on the streets of Vietnam. A large tray of chicken, shrimp, and pork is served. How you make the rolls is up to you. The coffee brews on your table and pairs perfectly with the coconut waffle. Highly recommended this interesting experience.

The restaurant serves up generous platters perfect for sharing, featuring mouthwatering options like soy garlic sauce chicken, crispy fries, kimchi, and even unique dishes like golbaengi salad for the adventurous diner. Vegetarians can enjoy delightful fried tofu as well.
I’ve been coming here for years now and the food has remained delicious. I was also happy to see that the restaurant has expanded a bit, as it was always packed and had a huge waitlist. Now with the new space I hope that wont happen as much anymore (although the restaurant is so popular I can see it happen still) . I went there again last week and the food and service were still excellent. The fries and the chicken were great and I was happy to see them have new menu items. If those I got the gimmari and that was great too. I regard this as the best Korean fried chicken in Berlin and most everyone I know agrees. Definitely recommend a visit.

We arrived around 19:30 on a Sunday evening, and all the outdoor seats were already taken, so we grabbed the last available spot inside. Seeing the long line of locals waiting raised our expectations. We ordered boneless chicken with sweet chili and soy sauce, sharing it between two people, and it was more than enough to leave us full and satisfied. There were plenty of Korean dishes and drinks on the menu, but we skipped them since the prices were a bit high. Speaking as a Korean: this is some pretty authentic Korean fried chicken. The sweet chili sauce with peanuts tasted just like the kind I used to eat back home. I’ll definitely be coming back whenever I crave proper Korean fried chicken!

The place is always very packed. Better to place a reservation before coming here. As for the food, it's pretty good. The chicken was very juicy and flavorful, although I was it a bit more spicy. If you are looking for the best chicken in Prenzlauer Berg try Chicken Coma. Kokio chicken was dry and bland.tbey are obviously batch cooking and keeping under heat lamps so it is just like a KFC. The fries are also frozen.. when all you do is chicken and fries that they can't do it well. I also didn't like that they wouldn't change the fries for something like kimchi. If you don't want fries they will give you more chicken..not all of us want to over eat! Giving the feedback to the staff member on the bland and dry chicken..he just smiled and walked off..so obviously wasnt really open for negative / constructive feedback. As mentioned before if you are looking for great fried chicken in Prenzlauer Berg, try Chicken Coma and skip Kokio.

it is overall good, the portions are very generous, but the place is very small and dark, it's suffocating. also the chicken always has some bad bits like cartilage, you need to chew carefully or spit some parts. not a pleasing eating experience, even if the taste is good

Adana durum was good but... Event hough at least 4people work there ... The same person handles cash payments and wraps your kebabs. No hand washing in between. Why??? If you have 4 guys or more... (Delivery order) Food’s pretty good but inconsistent. We’ve ordered at least 5 times in the past month. Salad’s either dry or too wet. Today, the sandwich wasn’t toasted nor rolled tightly, making it difficult to eat; looks like it was hurriedly heaped together. Always a different bread in the teller. We also ordered a teller with rice, but it came with a mash. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Would really appreciate more consistency.

I had the adana kebab, served in a rolled up pita. Very good. Ask for a grilled Chilli if like spicy. Very affordable with just 7.50 for meat and water. Highly recommended.

A hidden gem of a lamahcun. It's delicious and very cheap, which is why it's always crowded and queued up at mealtimes.
Hadi R — Google review
For price and performance it's perfect. Although the Lahmacun was delicious, it is not like the ones in Istanbul that is more common and in my opinion better. It is another traditional and more regional interpretation of the dish.
Ege M — Google review
My lahmachun here was far below the quality that I am used to at the outpost on Karl Marx Str. It was a busy lunchtime service and they had a lot of hungry customers to feed. But it was extremely undercooked for my liking, too doughy, 0 structural integrity a as result. The paste was super tomatoe-y with barely any meat coming through. It needed a couple more minutes on the oven. And it tasted nowhere near as fresh as what I was expecting for a place with such a reputation. I hope to come back and give this place a 5. I know it could have just been an off day.

best brunch place in Neukölln - they have a really creative menu that changes with the seasons. their dishes are all delicious and you can't go wrong with anything on the menu!
Probably the most satisfying dinner in Berlin. All the plates we tasted were so good. As a vegetarian I could choose different plates. Aubergine hummus with pickled vegetables was the right starter, light but tasty. Fennel with pickled apricot, mint, toasted almond and parmesab was very fresh, so well balanced and tasty too. Probably my favourite plate. I took also the potatoes with miso mayo for sharong,so good top. Well cooked, crispy potatoes, really good. The others took the duck with blueberry sauce and the turbot with asparagus. Both of them perfectly cooked and delicate. We share a basque cheesecake with carrot compote.I never have tasted it before, I love the texture and, of course, the taste. It is clear that there is a study behind this plates, bacause in my opinion the strong point was the combination between different ingredients that make every plate well balanced. Of course the service was perfect, very kind, gentle and fast. Really recommended. Absolutely!
Andrea P — Google review
A beautiful venue with a warm, inviting atmosphere, Sorrel offers produce-forward, seasonal cooking that really delivers. The fennel dish was the standout – a perfect balance of textures and flavours. The anchovies and lardo were also excellent, while both the turbot and duck were solid, well-executed dishes. The celeriac was our least favourite but still enjoyable. A surprise: the portion sizes are actually quite generous for a small plates concept – something to keep in mind! The only small letdown was the service – there were a fair few crumbs on the table when we sat down but apart from that an otherwise lovely experience.

Best prison food breakfast in town 🤗 a single egg, piece of bread, and some pieces of butter and cheese for 13€ 💞 all jokes aside… the place looks really cute, and the server was really nice. However, the food was very disappointing and the service was very slow. Hope to come here again in the future for something truly delicious and a great time.

The food was good, but service was a bit slow. We asked for bread and butter when our dishes were served because we realised that there was no bread with one of the dishes. The bread came after we finished eating both dishes. A pity The service team overall seemed a bit chaotic and not organised.

Nice place and attentive staff and if you really want a great meal go there… I unfortunately ate at higher rated places and so disappointed but very happy to go to Sorrel and have a tasty meal. Their extensive menu offers a wide range of authentic Korean specialties, including table-side BBQ options. Dishes like bibimbap, bulgogi, jjigae, and mandu soup are among the favorites.
I’ve been to Seoul Kwan three times, and it’s become a favorite for Korean food in Berlin. The flavors are incredible, easily the best I’ve had in the city, maybe even in Germany. The ambiance is nice, and the space is spacious with plenty of seating. It wasn’t crowded when I last went for dinner with colleagues, which made it feel relaxed. The staff isn’t overly friendly, but they’re efficient and fast enough. Prices are typical for a Korean spot here, but sharing dishes helps keep costs down. Parking around the area is easy, though finding the place can be tricky due to renovations above it. It looks closed from the road, but it’s open. Simple, tasty, and satisfying.

The hotpot was nowhere to be found at first in the menu. We were able to show the staff a photo of it that we found in the Google Maps reviews, and they kindly showed us another secret menu (see the photo) that was only available in Korean, and that's where we finally found it after some translations. The food was fantastic, — but the staff were very evasive and completely disinterested in our existence. Mixed feelings, but the hotpot was worth it.

Amazing authentic Korean food, loved the vegetarian/vegan options. I was so excited when they laid out 6 bowls of free banchan (small Korean side dishes) before our meal!
Noah P — Google review
As a Korean food lover and someone who travels to Korea almost every year, I can certify this resto serves amazing Korean dishes 💯this place easily took over to be my #1 Korean spot in town, lovely ambience too! Bibim naengmyeon was heaven, pancakes were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside just as I like. I just wish my kimchi jjigae can be more sour, and also service can be better but overall still an 8.5/10 for me 🫶🏻
Nhi P — Google review
Even though we came as a huge group, we could feel that the owner genuinely cared for us and was incredibly kind. I was craving a spicy Korean soup, so I ordered the soft tofu stew (순두부찌개) and it was excellent. I even had a glass of makgeolli for the first time in a while, which really lifted the mood. My friends ordered other dishes and they all said their food was delicious too. Of course, it’s more expensive than in Korea, but if you’re in the area and craving Korean food, I’d definitely recommend this place :)
Hyein J — Google review
A traditional Korean restaurant, or well traditional in its kitchen. The place is comfortable. Most of the time i want Korean Soup i come to this place. Prices are nice and customer service is nice as well. Sometimes the place is full of people and it's a bit noisy. in general is a good place to have a nice Korean experience.
Alessandro S — Google review
Very yummy korean food! The restaurant could be found a bit away from the hot spots of Berlin and hidden since the house undergoes renovation works so we first missed it. The place looks a bit older and very traditional with nice wall decorations. There is a German and a Korean menu on the table with different dishes (but no problem in times of google translator. We had cold noodles and Ox tail soup from the korean menu). You will get free small kimchi dishes along with the main dishes (which was the case in every korean restaurant years before but seldomly today). The restaurant has a nice website where they state to be the oldest korean restaurant in Berlin. Prices are very reasonable. We like and recommend it.
Binoi — Google review
The food is delicious, no questions about it. But the price is definitely on the spicy side and not necessarily made sense in my head to be this high. It was good food but not as good as it needed to justify paying 15 euros for a Vorspeise, you know? Also, ask for the menu in Korean so you get more options☺️

Chaomin-Congee Restaurant is a cozy and delightful Pan-Asian eatery located in Prenzlauer Berg, Berlin. It has quickly become a favorite in the city's Asian food scene, offering authentic Chinese congee and noodle dishes. The menu features a variety of options including beef, chicken, shrimp, and vegan choices. The restaurant also serves homemade drinks to complement the hearty meals.
If you are sick and tired of the modern Asian nonsense that's spread across Berlin, come here. Excellent and delicious Chinese/Viet food. We were left lip smacking with the Fried Udon and Eggplant dish. Outstanding food!
Vivek B — Google review
Overall pretty good. We had the beef satay, fried tofu and duck&run. Portions are good. I would comeback for the beef satay.😍 The fried tofu really good too. The duck&run would not recommend. We where here at 16:00 and kitchen was open. They didn't have other plates when I ordered.
Renielle C — Google review
The food was good — not the best I’ve had, but definitely enjoyable. We went for the lunch deal, which was a great value for the price. Portions were decent and everything was nicely presented. The service was okay; not particularly warm or friendly, but efficient enough. Overall, a solid spot for a casual lunch if you’re nearby and want something tasty without spending too much.

Chaomin Congee: Where the Ratings Don't Add Up Alright, gather 'round, folks, because I'm here to spill the tea (and sadly, not the delicious kind) on Chaomin Congee. Seriously, who's been leaving these glowing reviews? My taste buds are sending out an SOS! Let's start with the appetizers: tiny, but mighty... in price, that is. You get about two bites for the cost of a small nation. Then there's the service: think "human statue" meets "creepy staring contest." One woman seemed to be perfecting her art of standing still, which was less helpful and more "is this performance art?" But the real showstopper? The main courses. They looked like supermodels on a plate, but tasted like... well, absolutely nothing, drowned in enough oil to power a small engine. It's like the menu description was written by a different restaurant entirely. Honestly, I'm starting to think those five-star ratings are as fake as a three-dollar bill. Unless, of course, "tasteless and greasy" is the new culinary trend I missed. Save your money, folks, unless you're into expensive, oily disappointment.
Theodore J — Google review
Foods taste 4 stars, portion & price 3 stars, very small portion. The dumplings are added with black vinegar which isn’t acceptable for myself. The mango & black rice dessert is disappointing, I assumed it’ll be half mango as I had in Thai restaurants but it’s just tiny pieces as photo.
Backyard — Google review
Came here with a friend and got the pork congee and the chilli vinegar dumplings. Congee could have more protein on it, and the dumplings were ok.

Very very kind service:) We had a hotpot for two. really high quality food and a huge portion. Super nice atmosphere. It was not cheap, but worth for the money. Dogs were also welcome :)

DaBangg is a cozy and hidden gem in Friedenau, offering an authentic Korean teahouse experience. The warm wooden interior is adorned with delicate ceramics and tchotchkes, creating a homely atmosphere complemented by occasional live classical music. Hye-Soon Park's menu features homey dishes like stone-pot bibimbap, fresh banchan, and homemade rice cakes for dessert.
very tasty meals, I took the seafood soup, it was delicious, the portion is large. the atmosphere inside is like being at home, I feel cozy.
Natalia S — Google review
Not only a tea house, this small venue has a limited offer of food - which is always better than a long list on the menu. We had bottled Korean imported beer, Bibim Bao with beef, kim chi, Buchingae with sea food. The garden was full, so we had to sit near the sidewalk, but that was ok. The staff was kind and accomodating. I recommend a visit here and would visit again!
Nemo — Google review
The atmosphere feels very authentic and there's a lot of cute details to look at. The food was good, except the meat from the bulgogi was very chewy. Bibimbap, mandu and the honey-ricecake dessert were all great. The tea is also good but a bit pricey. Service was okay, the girl who served us seemed a bit distant but the owner was sweet.

One of my favorite korean cafe/resto in berlin!!! I love the interior It’s super cozy and reminds me of my korean grandmas home and the owner is also friendly and welcoming!! I love the music taste of this cafe Nice korean indie music and also classical music!! I tried Tteokbokki with extra ramyun noodle and mandu and extra rice it was delicious!! Honestly it’s not THE Tteokbokki taste i know, but still yummy and would order again Even if we shared it it was a bit much We couldn’t completely finish it The teas are amazing too I recommend 쑥차

Great spot for bibimbap! Food was nice, the servers were nice, and the outdoor seating has a nice atmosphere! Only minus was that it took a pretty long time to get the food, but it seemed like there was only one person in the kitchen maybe, and the restaurant was somewhat full, so maybe not always like this.
Timothy J — Google review
Sweet little Korean restaurant with delicious food 🍲 It's a cozy little place with a warm and polite service We had vegetarian Udon soup and a lemon tea and cinnamon nut tea. Everything was fresh and tasty One more note: you can order as well from the evening menu even if it is not 18:00 yet. Overall: go there 👍
J R — Google review
It's a very cosy and friendly atmosphere over 2 floors with 3 small rooms and an area to sit outside. Decoration is kept in a Korean style and one feels like at a friends house then at a restaurant. The waiters are quick and friendly, food is served fast and the waiters regularly tend to your tea. We had Bibimbap and Bulgogi which were both very tasty with fresh veggies and still served hot. The food would get 4 out of 5 Stars but the atmosphere definately lifts it up to 5. Pricing wise it's in a higher categiry - 1 can of tea + 1Bulgogi + 1Bibimbap + 1 Soju = 47€

Cute location with different qualities green tea to choose from, had the one in between first and second rain and it was lovely. Also the food seems to be authentic (I'm not an expert) and tasted delicious. Had the most wonderful experience!

Korean restaurant
Tokyo-born Sue Choi has created an intimate and unique Korean dining experience at her subterranean restaurant. Her dishes are inspired by her mother's recipes, taking Korean cooking to a refined level. The small space is perfect for an intimate dinner with friends.
We recently dined at Choi in Berlin and opted for the fish and vegetarian menus. The food was excellent overall, with creative flavors and thoughtful presentation. However, there was one dish that didn’t quite meet the same high standard as the others. Though we liked the tea pairing to the courses! While we thoroughly enjoyed the meal, we felt that the service could have been more attentive. A little more interaction and care from the staff would have elevated the experience. That said, it’s a great spot for flavorful, well-crafted dishes, and we’d still recommend it for anyone looking to explore modern Asian cuisine in Berlin.
Niklas D — Google review
it was our second time there. We chose the menu fish and liked very much the food, as we expected. This time, my husband made a tea paring, it was very good, I recommend. He will buy the teas online for us to drink at home. The service is great, staff are very attentive.
Yerma F — Google review
CHOI feels just like a well-organized Korean home — serene, warm, and thoughtfully curated. Each dish stays true to traditional Korean roots, with elegant balance and restraint — never overpowered by seasoning, allowing the natural flavors to shine through. From aged raw fish to LA galbi with fresh chives, the composition was both refined and respectful. We paired it all with traditional Korean drinks like makgeolli and Andong soju, finishing with a rare North Korean style juak dessert. Felt truly local — yet effortlessly international. A graceful, thoughtful dining experience where tradition meets creativity.

a great experience, but i’d make a slight tweaks to the omnivore menu! the gochujang rosé pasta came out after the steak, which i thought was quite heavy after a weighty protein because of the rich creaminess. i would have preferred something lighter and refreshing. i could barely finish it, which probably hindered my real tasting of it. the steak also was a little less juicy and a little tougher than i would have enjoyed, and also came out lukewarm, but it was a good combination of flavors, especially with the rice. standout of this season’s menu was the octopus salad and the fish soup served “royal style,” which i loved with the rice also. yum! lots of kudos to our wonderful server, who explained all the dishes as they came out. wishing choi all the best ^_^

Great dinner menu combined with a matching assortment of wine served in a cozy atmosphere offering space for 10-15 guests simultaneously. We loved it and they took our dietary restrictions super serious. 5-star dinner for sure.
Christian H — Google review
We had a wonderful meal here. The tasting menus are well thought out and showcase yummy Korean flavors, the wine pairings were impeccable, wonderful service and explanations of the dishes, in a nice local atmosphere. Highly recommended.

We visited Choi on Sunday for the 6-course menu to celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday. We specifically chose this restaurant because it’s small and we hoped for a cozy, intimate evening. Unfortunately, our experience was quite the opposite. The atmosphere was far from relaxing. A family with a crying baby and loud teenagers asking endless questions created constant noise, making it very difficult to enjoy the dinner. While I understand this is not entirely the restaurant’s fault, it ruined the cozy setting we had expected. As for the food — it was disappointing. The pork belly was unappetizing, and I was grateful I could switch to the fish option. The pork ribs were extremely dry and tough, with little to no flavor. The dessert was equally underwhelming: just a spoon of cheese with some jam. Ironically, the small birthday dessert they brought my boyfriend as a surprise was far better than what was on the actual menu. The only positives were the friendly attitude of both the waiter and the chef, who even apologized for the noise. That’s the reason I’m giving 2 stars instead of 1. Sadly, the food and atmosphere did not live up to expectations, especially for a special occasion.

Oh, We finally managed to come here a second time and the quality and hospitality is something I will always greatly enjoy. The whole experience is a bit of a secret not-so-secret tip of you're a Korean cuisine-enjoyer. Overall, the quality of the food is high and the ambience is calming. Our host was always forthcoming and nice. With the kitchen producing really high quality dishes and a nice tea pairing, the quiet atmosphere will make your day guaranteed ❤️
