The scalloped potatoes were also very good - smoky and surprisingly not too heavy considering scallop potatoes can often be swimming in butter. I really enjoyed the simplicity of the tomato zucchini salad with purple onions - the dressing on it was just light enough to help balance out all the heavier sides and actually honestly my favorite side because it was refreshing and had good flavor and texture.
