Hotel
The JW Marriott Tucson Starr Pass Resort & Spa is a luxurious property nestled in the stunning Tucson Mountains, surrounded by Saguaro Cactus and offering breathtaking views of the desert valley. With multiple dining options, three golf courses, a spa, lazy river, and pool, this resort provides an upscale experience for guests. Just 15 minutes from downtown Tucson and close to attractions like Gates Pass and Tumamoc Hill Nature Preserve, it offers a perfect blend of luxury amenities and outdoor activities.
⸻ My childhood friend and I spent a weekend at the JW Marriott Starr Pass, and it was nothing short of exceptional. Nestled into the side of the mountain at the top of a winding road, the resort is surrounded by breathtaking saguaro cacti and offers stunning views of the city—both day and night. We dined at several of the on-site restaurants and were impressed by the consistently high-quality food and the well-curated wine list. The staff throughout the resort were outstanding. We did encounter a personal security concern involving my friend’s ex-husband, but Ben, the Director of Security, and his team handled the situation with professionalism, discretion, and care. Thanks to them, we felt safe and supported during the entire stay. Honestly, without their intervention, we may not have been able to relax and enjoy our visit the way we did. We had such a wonderful time that we’ve decided to make this getaway an annual tradition.

I just checked in to the JW Starr Pass and I must say it is the worst room I’ve ever been placed in at a JW property. My family of 5 is in town for my mom’s memorial service and I was hoping to bring the kids somewhere nice in lieu of the circumstances. There are stains in the tub and the furniture wood is peeling. Carpets have stains, terrible coffee maker, no wine glasses, not enough drawers to put clothes in - I could go on and on. We booked 2 rooms for a 4 night stay and I can’t wait to leave. I am a platinum member so in lieu of points I asked for breakfast. I received 1 voucher for 1 morning. Typically I receive a voucher good for 2 for each morning of my stay when staying at properties that don’t include a lounge - reminder I asked for this in lieu of my extra points so this wasn’t just an added perk. The front desk staff was great but I was told I was not allowed to use a luggage cart on my own which is fine but honestly I didn’t want to have to wait for my bags to be delivered because we had been traveling over 7hrs and quickly needed to unpack and get going. I believe they have renovated some of the rooms but if you get placed in Building 2 take my tip and ask for another room! I did get a lovely view of the parking lot with my status….Thankfully they have a nice pool but with the heat I was hoping for a nice room to relax and get some cold air. Sorry JW I wanted to love you but you fell so short. Felt like I was staying at a 2 star hotel.

Absolutely love this place, and had the most wonderful stay here! I can't say enough about the beautiful room, the even more beautiful view from our room (complete with desert views and javelinas!), the lazy river, and the delicious fruit infused water! But even more than all of this, my husband and I were so impressed with the 100%, above and beyond friendliness and helpfulness of every single employee that we had contact with. We arrived a day earlier than our reservation, and the employee at the front desk happily extended our reservation to accommodate another day. Another front desk employee even tried helping us with our Marriott points that had expired by 5 days. Both servers at the Signature Grill that helped us were awesome (and great food too!), along with the super nice employees at the Starbucks. Everyone in the pool/lazy river were great too. An extra bonus that made our stay even more fun were all of the decorations for Halloween, including a skeleton on one of the inner tunes in the river. This was our first time at this JW Marriott, but it won't be our last! When you combine the natural beauty, great accommodations, friendliness, and just overall charm, this place is wonderful!

First time staying here and we loved it! Beautiful, quiet hotel with amazing flavored water in the lobby every day. The restaurants were great — had lunch at The Signature Grill and our waitress was awesome. Our newer room felt super high-end and had a really nice enclosed balcony with two chairs and a table — it felt private and comfortable. The pool and lazy river were perfect for relaxing, and the gym was great too. We also hiked one of the trails across from the resort — absolutely beautiful! Overall, an awesome stay

This review is strictly about the pool/day rental of a cabana for locals. We used Resort Pass to book a 5 person Cabana at the pool here and had a blast. 3 adults, 2 kids and all about the water! We arrived around 10:15 and our Cabana was all set up with water, towels, etc. The fruit platter/chips and salsa were brought later - my guess is when the cafe opens as we did not get ours until after 11A. We quickly figured out that we were going to really enjoy our time here as the pool was NOT busy at all -- mid week, in the middle of summer after kids back in school is the key if you are looking to avoid crowds. Our Cabana was situation in a great area outside of regular foot traffic. We spent a lot of time in the big pool, but also in the lazy river/water slide area. Had an all around fun time and it was a great way to spend 4 hours with our out of town family that was visiting. Shelby was our attendant and was super sweet and attentive! Only negatives were the sunscreen in the cabana was not pumping out and it got very messy getting to the sun screen. Also if you are not a guest of the hotel, you are reliant on staff letting you into the pool area if you need to use the restroom (totally understandable).

Stayed 3 nights in mid October 2025 and enjoyed the incredible setting, natural beauty, service and "one-stop-shop" convenience of the JW Marriott Starrpass. In 3 nights / 3.5 days we did multiple hikes just minutes from the lobby, played golf, used the gym/spa, lazy river, pools, hot tubs, and ate at 4 of the restaurants (Creosote - new golf course restaurant, Signature Grill, Plunge, and the Lobby/Veranda restaurant (spectacular views). All of them were excellent, service was great, and prices were reasonable. The way the resort is oriented within the Sonoran Desert means you have an incredible view from almost anywhere. We will definitely be back. One final point is that there impressive and extensive remodel going on for the rest of 2025 doesn't impede the current experience for guests.

I came here for a business conference. They did a very good job supporting us. Buffet meals were plentiful and well serviced. Staff were efficient and interactive without being obtrusive. A/V support was very good. Truly impressive surroundings.

Excellent place to plan out for your engagement or just a nice walk around the place. The views are beautifully laid out with great scenery and the views from the mountains are stunning! Peaceful community and pretty safe. We would absolutely be back for more!

Nestled in the Santa Catalina Foothills, Hacienda del Sol Guest Ranch Resort is a 32-acre Southwestern-style property with a rich history dating back to 1929. Once a finishing school for girls and later a popular guest ranch, it has welcomed famous guests like Clark Gable and Katharine Hepburn. The resort offers a range of accommodations, from historic rooms with fireplaces to newer rooms with private outdoor showers and mountain or city views.
Every time my friends and I come here, it’s the best experience start to finish. My friend Amber, who works at the spa, introduced me to this place years ago and always helps us get the perfect room — she’s the best! We love spending our days lounging at the different pools, drink in hand, taking in the gorgeous views from the water. The rooms are beautiful and always spotless (my only tiny complaint: the pillows are a little too soft for my liking). This trip, we even made it to the 8 AM yoga — such a peaceful way to start the day and I love that it’s offered. Sunday brunch is hands down our favorite part. Five of us gathered to eat our hearts out and, as always, we were impressed — I only wish I had a bigger stomach to try more! We even got to compliment the chef personally, and he, along with the rest of the staff, was so kind and welcoming. Antonio drove us back and forth multiple times and was incredibly helpful, and the new texting system with the front office made everything super convenient. We own a local beauty studio, and we Love hosting our yearly “business retreats” here. It feels like such a luxury to have somewhere so fabulous just a short trip from home — especially when it’s spent with my best friends. Can’t wait for the next one!
Rileh D — Google review
A 5-star hotel disguised as a 4-star. From the moment we drove in, we were impressed by location, landscaping, and cleanliness of the place. We were then upgraded to a more luxurious room as a complimentary service with hotel credit. Staff were genuinely helpful and kind, as opposed to the I-am-bored-to-be-here attitude I have seen elsewhere. 3 pools with 1 accessible 24/7; at least one of them with a great view of the desert, cacti, and mountains. We are definitely planning on coming back.

Me and my husband wanted a getaway to simply relax and recharge and a week at this resort was exactly what we needed and more! The grounds and views are just stunning. Very clean and not crowded at all. Pools were all great, room was beautiful and spacious. One of the best steaks we've ever had and everything else we ate was delicious. By day 3 we felt like royalty with how attentive and friendly the staff was, remembering our names and going out of their way to make our time special. Rick, Melinda, Ricky, Michelle, Klarissa, Justin, Kristopher, and Steve! These wonderful people really made our trip memorable, we did not want to leave!

I got married at Hacienda Del Sol on June 1st and it was such a wonderful experience <3 I spent a total of 4 days at the resort and I'm so blessed that its a place I can return to with my husband and family for years to come. The staff was kind and made us feel so special from the moment we arrived for the weekend until we left. I wish I could remember everyone's names but Juliette, Valentine, Acacia, and Summer are just a few of the folks that made our experience memorable. The food was delicious! Everyone at our wedding cleared their plates, the drinks were refreshing, and the cake lived up to family scrutiny. Everything I ordered for breakfast, lunch, and dinner during my stay was delicious. The views were breathtaking and it's clear that the property is kept in the very best conditions year round. The nature walk with Summer was a fun & educational experience and I was excited to share what I learned with my family&friends afterwards. The pools were relaxing and we were never without a cold drink in hand. I am counting down the days until my next Hacienda Del Sol stay!!

Wow. What a wonderful stay. The location is beautiful with great views of the Catalina's. The rooms are historic, clean, with modern amenities. EVERYONE I interacted with from the check in to the wait staff to the jazz trio playing in the dining room was friendly and went out of their way to make sure I was happy. So many relaxing spaces including inner courtyards and three pool areas with spas. I look forward to coming back!!!
Allan M — Google review
The resort itself is absolutely breathtaking - the landscaping, art and rooms are stunning. However, the service from the front desk was so poor I don’t think I ever was treated with such contempt and barely any compassion at all. The check in is at 4pm but, driving cross country with my cats, I arrived at the resort at 2pm and desperately needed a room as one of my cats was in her pee in her carrier and I needed to go to urgent care because she bit me pretty bad as I was trying to clean her. I was met with the most snobby, uncaring front desk person and he had zero urgency or compassion for my situation. I waited 1 hour in the lobby as he kept telling me the room was being inspected and it will take a few more minutes. I was crying and he barely looked at me. The resort was FAR from full and finding me a room and ask the staff to prioritize this shouldn’t have been that hard. I was really sad this was my experience but the place is indeed beautiful.
Ludivine V — Google review
What can I say about Hacienda Del Sol? It’s truly a breathtaking oasis in the heart of the Tucson desert. We didn’t stay overnight, but came for dinner at The Grill—and were absolutely enchanted from the moment we arrived. The view from the gardens overlooking the valley below was nothing short of stunning. And the sunset? I honestly don’t have the words to do it justice. It was one of those rare moments that just stops you in your tracks. The grounds are impeccably maintained, full of charm and history. Hacienda Del Sol is a registered historic hotel, and you can feel the stories in the architecture and atmosphere. I believe it once housed an all-girls school, and some of the rooms still use traditional keys, which adds such a unique touch. They also offer newer accommodations for a more modern stay, and the on-site gift shop is definitely worth a browse. If I ever return to Tucson, this is where I’ll stay—no question. Absolutely amazing in every way!

Loews Ventana Canyon Resort is a luxurious desert retreat nestled against the stunning Catalina Mountains. The resort boasts two golf courses, four restaurants, and two pools, including an adults-only pool. Guests can enjoy breathtaking views from the floor-to-ceiling windows and take advantage of amenities like a spa, gym, and lighted tennis courts.
I had a company retreat here, and it was a super nice experience! The staff was very friendly and helpful. The doormen would open the doors for us, the front desk would ask if we had any questions, and the cleaning staff was very friendly and polite. The rooms are amazing! The bathtubs were huge! They're large enough to fit two people comfortably. The beds are decent, although there were stains on some of the bedsheets and pillow covers. The room had a beautiful balcony view of the backyard (and the balcony was very cute, but I didn't use it because it was too hot). There's a small walk leading to a waterfall at the back, and the general backyard area is nice and shaded with a decently large pool, plenty of lounging chairs, and some scenic plants and streams to observe.

The resort itself has terrific views. We are still exploring. The room is what I would expect. Lacking nothing. HUGE tub, nice balcony, great bed. What really stands out is an amazing staff and wold class service. I travel a lot. I've been in hotels about 150 nights this year. I have top tier status with the world's largest group of hotel brands. I don't take for granted great amenities and excellent service. You guys are killing it!

Absolutely AMAZING stay at Loews Ventana Canyon Resort! 🌵✨ The location is stunning — right against the Catalina Mountains with desert views everywhere you look. The grounds are beautiful and peaceful, with cactus gardens, koi ponds, and plenty of spots to relax. My room was perfect: spacious, modern, and incredibly comfortable. The bed was plush and cozy, and I slept so well. The bathroom was spotless with a huge shower — my only tiny complaint is that at 5’5” I had to grab the rail to step in without bumping my shin, but once inside it felt like a spa experience. Having a balcony view of the desert and mountains just added to the magic. The food and drinks were excellent at every meal. Their coffee shop is GOATED. The amenities made the trip even better: the golf course with sweeping views, relaxing pools, a tranquil spa, and trails that lead to a little waterfall. We even got to do stargazing on the tennis courts, which was such a unique and special touch. The gift shop also had fun souvenirs — I couldn’t resist grabbing a green glass cactus cup 🌵💚. The staff was friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The resort also offers tons of other activities and experiences, but honestly the bed was so nice that I luxuriously chose to “bed rot” in the mornings instead. Zero regrets. I left feeling relaxed and recharged.Loews Ventana Canyon is an experience I’d recommend to anyone. 🌟

Stayed here for a conference for three days. Food was good, service was excellent. Staff were outstanding. The resort really is pet friendly. After my cat sitter fell through, I needed to bring my cat with me. For just a $100. fee, she was welcome. Views were beautiful, room was spacious and comfortable. Highly recommend.

This is a truly spectacular property — the kind of place that makes you exhale the second you arrive. My partner and I were fortunate enough to spend one night here, and from check-in to checkout, everything was flawless. The grounds are absolutely breathtaking. Nestled against the Catalina Mountains, you’re surrounded by desert beauty, a stunning waterfall right on property, and walking paths that make you feel like you’ve stepped into another world. As someone who’s always barefoot for religious and health reasons, I was welcomed without hesitation — not a single issue, just kindness and respect. That kind of open-minded hospitality matters deeply to me. We enjoyed breakfast at their restaurant, and the food was okay. The only area for improvement would be expanding the vegan options — a little more creativity there would make it perfect. I also love that Loews Ventana Canyon was designed with the environment in mind. The resort’s architecture intentionally blends into the surrounding desert landscape, minimizing impact on the ecosystem. They also participate in Loews Hotels’ broader sustainability initiatives — reducing single-use plastics, conserving water, and sourcing responsibly. It’s a resort that honors the land it sits on. If you find yourself anywhere near Tucson, make time to stay here. Whether it’s one night or a week, this place feeds your soul. 💖 I love all you people. 1st time to stay at a Loews resort. The room was excellent - great view of the valley from our balcony. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. If you are going to Tuscon you should try this hotel - excellent value for the price.

I stopped in here to watch live music with a friend. It's got a beautiful lobby and I was surprised by how good the sound from the band was. The atmosphere is a little stiff but that comes with the territory. All in all, a nice experience. It's close to home so I will return.

The Westin La Paloma Resort & Spa is a luxurious haven nestled in the breathtaking foothills of the Santa Catalina Mountains, spread across 250 acres of stunning desert landscape. This upscale resort boasts five inviting pools, a thrilling waterslide, and an impressive 27-hole golf course for those looking to unwind or stay active.
We truly enjoyed our quick vacation at the resort. It was a beautiful resort with a lovely and large pool area that made for great afternoon relaxation. The staff was so friendly, kind and attentive. It felt clean and organized with a few different options for food and drinks. The rooms were a bit outdated compared to the rest of the luxury looking resort areas, but the bed was comfortable and the room was spacious. Great place to get away too. About 30 minutes away from downtown Tucson.

The Perfect Getaway — Truly Exceptional Stay! The Westin La Paloma is absolutely stunning — with sweeping mountain views and beautiful desert flora all around, it feels like a peaceful escape tucked into the heart of Tucson’s natural beauty. We stayed here for our minimoon and were treated like absolute royalty from the moment we arrived. The resort itself is gorgeous, but what truly makes it special is the people. A huge shoutout to George at the Sabino Pool Bar, who went above and beyond to make our honeymoon unforgettable. He was so kind, attentive, and genuinely fun to talk to — we felt like we were his top priority guests every time we saw him. Meeting George was a highlight of our trip, and we’re so grateful for the way he made us feel so welcome and celebrated. The team at La Luz also went out of their way to make our celebration special, surprising us with custom cocktails and dessert. The food there was amazing — seriously, the best chilaquiles I’ve ever had in my life! Dinner at Contigo was equally outstanding, with incredible food and service to match. From relaxing spa treatments to sipping drinks by the pool, every moment of our stay was pure bliss. The Westin La Paloma was the perfect place to unwind and recharge after the whirlwind of wedding planning. We left feeling refreshed, cared for, and already dreaming about our next visit.

We stayed at this property for UofA parents' weekend...3rd time we've been here this year. The customer service is outstanding every time! Brian at the front desk was able to get us into our room a few hours early, and then helped me with a late check-out (the Westin La Paloma takes great care of its Bonvoy Elite members!). I noticed every employee I came across all weekend, made eye contact, smiled, and said hello. That's pretty rare these days! Also...really fun vibe here. The lobby bar is amazing and the pool was packed with parents & students. We love this place!

First, I would like to give a HUGE ‘THANK YOU’ to Marque for making our day at the resort so enjoyable. We were glad to see Westin La Paloma finally added to the list of hotels offering day passes on resortpass.com. Below are a few pros and cons we experienced for the day: Pros: 1. Helpful and friendly staff 2. Waterslide (❤’d it) 3. Lots of seating 4. Towels and free bottled water Cons: 1. Pools need resurfacing 2. The two main pools were pretty cloudy 3. Women’s restroom was closed in the pool area so I had to make the walk up to the main resort building to use the ladies room making it inconvenient 4. Poolside food was just ok (quesadilla was small and the medium fruit cup was lacking in variety) Expected better for the caliber of resort 5. Food and beverages were pricey for the size and quality We still had a fun time at the resort even with all the cons against it, but not sure, if we will choose La Paloma as a first pick for our next daycation at a resort again unless they improve in some areas.

Honestly one of the worst experience at my first resort for my family and I. To start with I got a presidential room WITH A VIEW, for my anniversary and it came with a "all natural Gluten-free tarantula" 🙄😑 Can't forget to mention that my room had spider webs in the restroom. So to start my 3 nights. After the hotel groundskeeps removed the tarantula, I asked if they would do a sweep on the room because I definitely don't want to wake up to a scorpion or another animal on/in my room they, politely declined and said they were only here for the tarantula. Now I have to check the room myself and make sure my wife and son are good to sleep. Needless to say we didn't sleep well that first night. Also our VIEW was full the wonderfully mesquite tree. Wasn't a view at all. We also experienced poor customer service at the pool. after we got done we asked for a ride back to the room and one sassy girl at the pool blatantly said "there not answering" didn't even try for us. So there we go walking back to the room while people we saw at the pool getting rides back. Westin la paloma needs to do better! 👎👎👎

My grandma and parents used to work here years ago and I’ve heard it’s amazing so I’ve always wanted to go there. Well, I finally went and it was just lovely all around, the view, the spa ladies were super sweet. Had dinner at Contigo and saw a family of javelinas and had breakfast at la luz super delicious. I loved everything and can’t wait to come back.

Five stars doesn’t even do this resort justice! Every staff member we encountered was absolutely incredible and so genuine. Suong was kind, and patient while taking our order with a food allergy. She went above and beyond to ensure there were no mistakes, even letting us read the ingredient label ourselves. We never once felt like an inconvenience, and she truly made our day 10x better. We also had the pleasure of meeting Jordan, who was so kind and personable and willing to make our experience the best possible, and Shelby, the bartender inside, who was extremely friendly and approachable. The manager, Audrey, was a delight to chat with and went out of her way to refund our pool day pass after we were asked to exit the pool area due to lightning..and she did so without hesitation. Even though the weather sent us home early, we left feeling so relaxed and cared for. The mineral pool was heavenly, the lunch was delicious, and the views were absolutely breathtaking. We will forever remember all of the kindness and hospitality the staff showed today and we will be screaming it from the rooftops!!

It has been a while since we have stayed at La Paloma but we decided it was time to go again. We are pleased with the new updates. In lobby lower lever restaurant, floors, view and so much more. The adult only pools are such a pleasure. Something I am always looking for. We had a great time and will be back sooner than later.

Nestled in the Blenman-Elm section of Tucson, Arizona Inn is a historic boutique hotel that has been welcoming guests since 1930. Set on 14 acres of lush gardens, this property offers a serene and private atmosphere despite its central midtown location. The hotel features 92 restored rooms and suites with a charming casita-style design. Guests can enjoy amenities such as a pool, tennis courts, complimentary bikes, saunas, and afternoon tea during select months.
The Arizona inn is a beautiful landmark which has been in Tucson it seems like forever, as long as I've been here at least, and I know it was here for quite a while before that! We very much enjoyed our time there. We visited our friend there and got to sit by the fireplace and visit with travelers. It was very nice. The food was delicious; we had dinner there and the service was excellent. Jon, our server, was so nice and attentive. Our water was served in beautiful Cobalt blue glasses. I definitely look forward to going there again sometime.

This hotel is beautiful. It is truly a resort. The property is so large and there is nothing cookie cutter about it. My room had beautiful furniture from the 1930’s- 1950’s. It was large and spacious and had a walk out patio with a table two chairs, two very nice lounge chairs and a great view of the property, especially at night when the gardens were twinkling with soft lights. Everything in my room was crisp, clean and my king size bed extremely comfortable. I stayed two nights and each time I walked on the grounds I discovered something different and unique. There was no resort fee or charge for any of the activities. The pool was gorgeous. There was actually a changing building next to the pool with showers, dressing rooms, and a sauna. Very nice beach towels laid out as you enter the gated courtyard for the pool. The restaurant was very elegant and the bar area comfortable and inviting. There is a very large library where they serve tea and it is a gracious spot just to read or take a quiet moment. But in my opinion I saved the best for last. Every person I encountered was welcoming, attentive to my questions or needs, and each one went above and beyond to help me with the smallest of requests. With everything I just mentioned I do not want to leave an impression that the Arizona Inn is stuffy or pretentious it is simply the way it’s always been done. It is evident in each interaction the current employees take real ownership in preserving the traditions and history of this beautiful hotel.

What a fabulous Inn! The kind of charm and warmth lacking in nearly every place you can stay anywhere these days. From the attention to detail in the original design to the quiet and peace in the library, the restaurant and on the beautiful grounds. The food is wonderful as well and - gasp!- no piped in music in most places! I've lived in Arizona my whole life and am so glad to have found this historic gem.

Outstanding boutique hotel in a quiet neighborhood close to the center of Tuscon. Classic architecture from the 1930s with a main building many small outbuildings with the rooms--think cottages but not single building cottages. Elegant and classic design. Excellent grounds. The rooms and furnishings feel old but a modern design would not fit the hotel. There are short steps everywhere.

We had a lovely stay at the Arizona Inn from Sunday to Wednesday last week. Alex at the front desk helped us with many decisions about places to visit and dine. Robert was our bartender the first night and everyone loved him. We stayed up later because of him. What an impeccable property. I especially appreciated the plantings and landscaping and the old school feel to the inn. Morning coffee in the library was perfect and I so appreciated it being ready early!  We hope to return soon. It was my daughter-in-law’s first visit to the western U.S. and she loved it.

The rooms and landscape are fabulous. Couldn’t ask for a more beautiful pool and deck. It’s a throw-back in time. Simply beautiful. The employees are always accommodating and nice.

Guests can also take advantage of the outdoor pool and 24-hour fitness center. The hotel features Poindexter Coffee for dining options and provides complimentary wireless internet access.
Trish at the front desk welcomed us and upgraded our room. She was very professional and sweet. Our room was clean and comfortable, it felt like home. The decor is whimsical. The Moonstone rooftop bar was awesome, the perfect place to unwind after a busy day. The drinks were exceptional and the staff were friendly and knowledgeable. The view is amazing! Breakfast downstairs was delicious and a great place to meet family before starting the day. We will definitely stay here again when visiting family in Tucson.

Absolutely loved The Graduate by Hilton Tucson! The view from our room was stunning, the service was excellent, and the rooftop bar an interesting additional feature. We used the valet parking service, which was also very good. Can't recommend this hotel enough!

Love this hotel. Very fun atmosphere and vibe to the hotel. All the graduates have a good theme to them. This hotel is right next to the university of Arizona campus, so that’s a great plus. They have bikes that you can rent and ride around the city. The pool on the roof is awesome.

Great hotel that is so convenient to college and the town in general. Lovely decor. Room had a view and enjoyed the furnishings. Had breakfast in the lobby with coffee. Only issue is parking. Could not get near the front of the hotel at all to even offload, and parked in the garage a little further down. Otherwise great stay.

Friendly staff, valet service was convenient, friendly & efficient! Rooms were clean, decor was flawless from the time you entered the hotel! Bed was so comfortable & loved the pillow choices! Only cons - only one elevator was working & could have better/more television channels.

Upscale hotel right in the middle of UofA campus. Staff was wonderful. Views are gorgeous. I highly recommend that you give The Graduate by Hilton Tucson a try! The rooftop lounge and pool were amazing.

Everyone we encountered here was amazing and so friendly, minus a couple ice bucket deliveries. Rooftop pool is nice and the view is amazing. Beds (for me) were a bit hard but I'm not used to stuff mattresses.. so that's probably more of my own issue. Room could be just a little bihher for 3 people and a pet if you have any but still wonderful. Trish is absolutely wonderful and if we go back ever, I hope she's there! Everyone at the restaurant was also amazing, especially Claire! Great atmosphere. Valet was good- Diego was most pleasant and welcoming.

10/10 experience here. This place has done away with the dry hygienic tray dress typical of chain hotels and has clearly let a real design artist run wild. The decor is 1970s south western Americana. So many great design elements here and nice touches around the hotel and room, the tasteful selection of items leaves the place looking like a throwback rather than outdated. The staff here were really wonderful we had other accommodations set up until the air-conditioning fell through and we were forced to make a last-minute change. One night at about 2 AM I had an issue and the front desk came up with a solution right away. The roof is enchanting, the pool is a great place to catch the sunset in the restaurant was a perfect mix of quality and affordability with a fantastic million dollar view. I’d come back anytime !

Nestled in the scenic Santa Catalina mountains, Omni Tucson National Resort is a sprawling 650-acre property that boasts two 18-hole championship golf courses designed by Tom Lehman. Renowned for hosting PGA Tour events, this resort offers luxurious amenities including a 13,000 square foot spa, tennis courts, and a zero-edge pool with private cabanas. Guests can also enjoy hiking or biking along miles of trails.
Beautiful resort, with a more traditional SW feel. Nice patio, soft beds, and quiet rooms. Enjoyed a cigar and a delicious coffee on the patio in the early morning, watching the golfers at the range get ready for a tournament while the sun rose over the Catalina Mountains to our east. I mean, it doesn't get much better. The food is delicious.

I absolutely enjoyed my stay here. It wasn't even for 24 hours. I was there for a brief work trip. Beautiful scenery, lovely room, and okay customer service. I was escorted to my room. Lots of lizards if you're into that kind of thing. Plenty of parking too. I wish I had stayed longer to explore more. I hope to check it out again!

We are having a delightful experience here. I love our spacious room which feels like a 1 bedroom apartment, minus the kitchenette, of course...the balcony is beautiful, we view the golf course. The ceilings are nice and high with a mountain lodge feeling... Refrigerator, safe, in room coffee service, walk in closet, nice deep bath tub... we took advantage of the monday prime burger and caymus special of which SHANE AND TOM get a huge shout out for accommodating us and making it a fun evening! Happy birthday to me! Looking forward to a massage in the morning, a good workout and hopefully the weather lightens up so I can enjoy the pool.
Andrea B — Google review
Beautiful stay! Room was comfortable, large, with comfortable beds and pillows. I miss the robe! Desert Farmer and Legends were good eats, the spa and pool are nice. My only complaint would be the cheap toilet paper and I wasn't impressed with the massage. The Peak was a nice lounge to get out of the heat. All the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Especially Angie from Legends and Yves at The Peak, they went above and beyond with us as well as other guests! This is a great getaway even if you never swing a club. Scenic backdrops and all the amenities make for a relaxing stay. Unfortunately, I have to update this review because my spa experience has become quite frustrating. I had one massage, but I was charged twice. As I walked up to checkout of the hotel, I was assured by Chelsea that the extra charge would be refunded in 5-10 days. I've yet to receive any refund. $374 is a bit too much for 1 50 minute basic massage, so I'll now have to dispute the extra charge through my bank. There's a major weakness in the spa. It's at the reception desk. That's why my 5 stars for service has become 3, and that's really sad considering how hard everyone else worked to make our stay nice. I'll be calling to see if anyone can fix this again for me, but I shouldn't be thinking about this weeks after my trip for something that was supposed to be relaxing.

A perfect weekend escape on the course We stayed at the Omni Tucson National for a weekend and absolutely loved it. The resort is beautiful — peaceful, spacious, and right on the golf course, which made for incredible views and quiet mornings. We really loved the remodel — the updates give it a fresh, modern feel while keeping that relaxed desert vibe. The staff was kind and welcoming from check-in to check-out. Our room was clean, comfortable, and had that cozy desert-luxury vibe without trying too hard. Being able to walk right out onto the course was a huge bonus. Whether you’re into golf or just want the serene backdrop, it’s worth it. The whole environment felt calm and perfect for recharging. I’m really hoping to make it back soon for one of their wellness events like a floating sound bath or yoga on the lawn — sounds amazing! Would absolutely return. Great service, beautiful setting, and a much-needed break done right. — A happy guest

When arriving on the property we were greeted by friendly faces, and accommodating energy…… Jayden the gentleman who checked us in at the front desk definitely went the extra mile to make us feel welcome and comfortable! Everything about this resort exceeds expectations ESPECIALLY the staff! We will definitely book another stay here!

Very poor place. Service is horrible. My wife and I were looking to celebrate our anniversary at Omni. We had a voucher and they denied it saying they only had 13 rooms available. Even though the voucher was prepaid for, they wanted to make the money from the rooms. I find this a poor practice and should honor the deal. If you are using them as a gift to people...STOP and go elsewhere. They will make your gift feel more like a hassle.

Plus, it's located just minutes from downtown Tucson attractions like the Convention Center and Museum of Art.
We recently stayed at this hotel for a wedding weekend with multiple members of our family, and I can’t say enough good things about the experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome — everyone from the general manager to the maintenance team was friendly, professional, and genuinely caring. The food was excellent throughout our stay.. The drinks were just as impressive — great selection, perfectly made, and always served with a smile. A special shoutout to Amanda, Juan, and Edward for going above and beyond with their service. They were attentive, upbeat, and made every gathering feel extra special. The atmosphere of the hotel was warm and inviting, which really helped bring our family together and made the weekend even more memorable. Everything ran smoothly, and we felt truly taken care of the entire time. Highly recommend for any group event or just a relaxing getaway. Thank you to the entire team for making our family celebration so enjoyable!

I'm thoroughly impressed at what this hotel has to offer, excellent staff ready to help you 24/7. Heavy metal gates in the entrance to the parking lot lock and keep the property safe after 9pm. You open and close them with your room key card. The rooms are as nice as a high-end as a new Hilton Hotel. The bar is stocked with great selection of liquors. Breakfast is excellent, Property has large pool with hot tub. The overall feeling here is friendly, warm, and inviting. Even though the freeway is in front you barely hear any road noise in your room when you're on the highway side. There are hiking trails that immediately leave the property and go up a small mountain.

We are a touring band from LA and stayed at The Tuxon for a night while on tour to San Antonio, TX. The gated parking made us feel secure leaving our gear overnight, which is always a concern on the road. The front desk staff were super friendly and welcoming, and check-in was quick and easy. Our rooms were clean, the bathrooms and showers were spotless, and everything felt fresh. Best of all, the beds were really comfortable, which was a lifesaver after long drives and shows. So happy to discover this fantastic hotel for our mini vacation away from Pheonix. It was gorgeous! Super cool vibe! Live music, games yo play, full bar, great food! The pool and pool area is spectacular! The ambiance is off the charts. Definitely get a poolside room so you are facing in as it is right off the freeway and near residential areas. Also the staff is super service forward and really responsive and helpful. Special shout out to Cassandra the manager and Angel at the front desk for being extra amazing! Will 100% return!

Very comfortable stay. The hotel is located close to downtown but not super walkable if it’s hot. The hotel has an interesting layout where the rooms and numbering can be very confusing and there is no signage. I spent 5 minutes trying to find my room, as there is no rhyme or reason to the numbers on first glance. Room had a very comfortable bed though also had a bit of a musty or maybe cleaning chemical type of smell to it. As a Platinum Member I was able to order one item off the breakfast menu and chose avocado toast described as being on sourdough, which it most certainly was not. It was on low quality white toast. It was still alright, but if I had paid for it, I would have been disappointed.

This little gem is located at the end of a freeway frontage road. On approach, it does not look promising. You will be pleasantly surprised The Motor Inn is an older building, completely renovated. The room was small, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The linens and pillows were top-notch. The bath had been made completely modern. The check-in, reception area, is adjacent to the Bar and Lounge area. You can see the center grounds and pool. Cabanas, walk-up bar, murals, beautiful plants, and art. All modern in perfectly maintained and beautiful condition. When I stay in Tucson, I'm staying at Tuxon.

We fell in love with the people, the horses and the location. The staff is absolutely dedicated, professional and so welcoming. We loved the food at the restaurant. Delicious options for a fair price. The breakfast buffet is a great value and so generous. The property is gorgeous and the horses kept at your footsteps. It is a dream to watch the horses in the paddock or coming back from the trail, with the desert landscape as backdrop. The sun sets are out of this world beautiful. The pool area is a welcoming place to relax and cool off . There is also an indoor pool. Kids activities and activities for adults are plentiful. Let’s not forget the fun cowboy cook out with live music. It really is an experience for young and old to cherish for a lifetime. Amazing staff and amazing place. Very accommodating and friendly. The food has been amazing. The staff are always happy to help and give you great advice. Cannot recommend highly enough. Thanks Bill for your great instruction!

We had an incredible experience at the Tanque Verde Ranch Cookout! The setting was beautiful—from the short desert walk to the event area, to the charming entrance, warm lighting, rustic bar, live folk/country music, and large fire pits surrounded by tables. The food exceeded expectations: perfectly seasoned, cooked beautifully, and plenty of delicious options. After dinner, we enjoyed playing horseshoes, which was a fun way to wrap up the night. The staff were incredible and helpful and attentive!! This was such a memorable evening, and we plan to return soon—next time for the sunset horse ride before the cookout. Highly recommend!

Amazing resort with friendly and helpful staff. Special thanks to John in reception for his wonderful customer service and hospitality. Marcia at the Nature Center was also great! She is very knowledgeable and our visit with her was so interesting. We stayed in a Desert Casita Deluxe room and it was a great value. Much larger than we were expecting and everything was super clean. The giant window lets you sit in the room and take in the beautiful scenery, too. We were in town for a wedding so we did not get a chance to participate in as many activities as we wanted (horseback riding, archery, biking, many more) but we are definitely going to come back!

This is your ideal destination for any occasion- personal trip or corporate retreat. We will definitely be back, something for everyone and AMAZING views and hospitality. We had such a great time at Tanque Verde Ranch. The views, the lodging, and the food were all amazing, and the horses are extremely well taken care of. The staff overall was wonderful and made the stay really comfortable. The only thing I want to be honest about is that I wish the wranglers had been a bit friendlier. Some of them had a little bit of an attitude, which took away from the experience just a tiny bit. Aside from that, everything else was fantastic. The pool area is beautiful, and there’s such a good variety of activities — yoga, rides, hikes, biking, you name it. One thing I wish they offered is some live music or a bonfire in the evenings, just something to make the nights feel a bit more special. I completely fell in love with one of the horses, Scotch — he was my little ranch crush. Overall, I would absolutely return and can highly recommend the ranch with just a couple of small suggestions for improvement.

The staff was so friendly and helpful. I had a deep tissue massage and a facial and the experience was lovely. My massage therapists name was Shea and she is an absolute doll. Hotel McCoy Tucson - Art, Coffee, Beer, Wine is a retro 1960s hotel with casual mid-century modern rooms and an outdoor pool. The property offers clean and tidy accommodations with a touch of vintage charm. The hotel features an exquisite old car at the entrance and art fountains throughout the yard. Guests can enjoy a free breakfast and take advantage of amenities such as a 24-hour fitness center, concierge services, and an arcade/game room.
From the moment I arrived, it was clear this hotel was something special. The service was exceptional—every staff member I encountered was warm, attentive, and genuinely eager to make my stay as comfortable as possible. Whether it was a quick request or a more personalized touch, nothing ever felt like too much trouble. The atmosphere throughout the property was equally impressive. It strikes that perfect balance between relaxed and refined, making it easy to unwind while still feeling like you're treating yourself. The common areas were thoughtfully designed, and the ambiance made me truly feel like I was on vacation. And I can’t forget to mention the oatmeal bar—honestly, the best I’ve ever had. With a wide variety of fresh toppings, from seasonal fruits and nuts to gourmet drizzles, it turned a simple breakfast staple into a standout culinary experience. It’s rare to rave about oatmeal, but this one deserves the spotlight! In short, this hotel goes above and beyond. Whether you're here for business or a relaxing getaway, expect to be impressed. I’m already looking forward to my next visit.

Stayed here for a week during our tour in Tucson and really enjoyed it. The rooms are clean, with a very big TV and a nice sitting area right outside the door. Breakfast is simple but enough to start the day, and I love that they welcome pets too! The whole vibe is super chill, colorful, and creative. Staff are friendly and the atmosphere just makes you feel at home. The hotel’s right off the highway, not in the city center, so having a car is definitely helpful. It’s not really a walkable area if you’re looking for food or a mini market nearby, but it’s still a great place to come back to and relax. Only small downsides: the AC can be a bit loud and the door was sometimes tricky to close. But overall, such a fun and comfortable stay!

Cool spot! Oatmeal breakfast bar was a perfect start to the day. The bar at night was nice, cozy atmosphere. The grilled cheese sandwiches were so yummy! Outdoor/pool area has cool vibe. It was relatively quiet at night. My only complaint is my door wouldn't stay closed/locked (door jamb/lock was out of alignment). I tried to tell the girl at the desk the first morning but she basically implied I just didn't understand how the door locks worked and never followed up. Lol, whatever, I didn't have anything valuable that I left during the day and I could use the safety latch at night. But I literally didn't have to ever enter my lock code. I just had to give the door a little nudge and it opened right up. The guy at the desk when I checked out said they were in the process of changing their locks, so I guess my advice would be to check your door/lock before you unpack.

My initial room had some issues so she kindly moved me over to another room with no hesitation. She went above and beyond helping me with everything and still managed to have a smile on her face. McCoy is super lucky to have her!

Hotel McCoy is the destination; not just a place to stay while you visit other places. We returned early from hiking and sightseeing just to spend more time at the McCoy. I got the vibe that all guests were enjoying a wonderful, unique experience together. People were very friendly and everywhere you looked there was something fun to see. The one thing that is missing from Hotel McCoy is the big, corporate feel of so many hotels. Do yourself a favor and make your hotel as much fun as the rest of your trip.

he vibe here is fantastic! It's a fun, retro-artsy spot with cool murals everywhere. The room was clean, the free welcome drink was a nice touch, and the heated pool area is a great place to hang out. Definitely a unique and great-value stay in Tucson.

Nestled in the vibrant heart of Tucson, the AC Hotel Tucson Downtown offers a delightful blend of modern comfort and local charm. Guests can choose from casual rooms and suites, some featuring inviting balconies that provide a perfect spot to unwind. The hotel boasts an impressive rooftop pool where you can soak up the sun while enjoying stunning views of the city. For those seeking entertainment, this hip hotel is surrounded by an array of trendy restaurants, eclectic shops, and captivating art galleries—all within walking distance.
Good hotel, swimming pool on the sixth floor with a bar is simply amazing, gym for those who like morning workouts. One minus is a night club next door where the music sounds too loud from the outside terrace until 2am, bring earplugs:)
Lucas C — Google review
Very nice hotel located in the heart of downtown. Walkable to restaurants and entertainment nearby. Rooms are modern and clean. Bed was a little stiff for my liking. Parking for the hotel was pretty simple in the garage attached to the building. Overall good experience.
Anthony G — Google review
The room isn't bad, staff friendly, but literally nothing makes up for the constant bass from the neighboring clubs. Any attempts to offset the noise is unhelpful since the issue isn't the noise but the constant rumble and shaking from the bass. If you're planning on sleeping during the weekend, do not book this hotel
Stephen L — Google review
Room was clean. Also extremely noisy as all surfaces other than the bed are hard sound reflective materials. Anyone walking in the hallway disturbed my rest let alone the sounds of the downtown area. This was a very poor hotel design. Also there was a guy smoking a bong in the valet section of the parking garage. Not sure if he was hotel staff.
Nelson D — Google review
My girlfriend and I stayed here for my birthday. We were told during check in that it was loud, and were required to sign a waiver in order to understand that there would be noise from the clubs. We knew we were out late so this was no problem. After spending the evening out, we get back to our room and notice it is unusually warm, 85 degrees plus. After messing with the thermostat to no avail, I called the front desk. They said they were surprised to see someone calling from this room, as no one was "booked for this room". Absolutely insane that they did not know we were in this room, and we had booked this hotel weeks prior. After checking out, we were told we would be in contact with the assistant manager, Amy Blischak, who after 2-3 weeks have not heard anything from. We certainly won't be recommending this hotel, nor staying at this Marriott hotel ever again.
Marko L — Google review
My room was very basic: Bed, TV, Couch/Hideabed. Very small refrigerator. It is perfect for a place to crash after enjoying the area nightlife. It is right where you can walk to TCC, Fox, Rialto, Congress, 4th Avenue and probably 100 restaurants, bars, clubs, and shops. Covered parking is included in their garage. Really cool pool on the 6th floor, and a nice bar to hang out at while waiting for the town to catch up. DONT bother with Booking.Con or dotScam. Just call the hotel directly!!! Most hotels that take hospitality seriously will have someone to answer calls and even book rooms; and just like all of those places, the folks at AC are excellent people! Susie and her manager were excellent hosts and were able to set me up even though I required last-minute changes due to a "error" with Booking.scum. On BDC's web, it says that it is up to the hotel to decide if there is a fee to cancel, but even tho I bought trip insurance and the hotel canceled on their side at no charge, I will probably not recover that money. But if I can help someone else, skip that lesson, it will still have cost me. :) Excellent stay, tho!!!
Michael S — Google review
The worst Marriott property I’ve ever stayed at. The room is over 80 degrees and the front desk is of zero help. They offer EV charging in the garage but the spots are always taken by non-EV cars. There are near zero food options onsite — the staff are all extremely rude.
Jordan H — Google review
Horrible hotel and service. The older lady who takes care of breakfast service has a horrible attitude and look on her face at all times. She doesn’t seem to want to work there whatsoever.

The Leo Kent Hotel, Tucson, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel is a top choice for travelers. The rooms are spacious and modern with clean bathrooms and well-equipped gyms. The hotel's upscale decor and friendly staff create a welcoming atmosphere. Its central location in downtown Tucson makes it convenient for exploring the area's restaurants and bars. The St. Cruz restaurant offers superb service and food, making it an excellent dining option during your stay.
What a pleasant experience from start to beginning when staying here. The staff is so kind especially jasmine and the rooms are so clean the pictures don’t do it justice. Jasmine went out of her way with our little annoying requests and wasn’t bothered at all and welcomed us so kindly! The upper management and staff really are doing their very best and you can tell from the quality of service you receive. I don’t usually write reviews, But I just got off of a long flight and the check-in process was so smooth I couldn’t Help but write one. If you’re staying in the Tucson area you won’t be disappointed definitely will be returning here. We even got some departure goodies that no hotel has ever done for us so I definitely will be returning.
Mar F — Google review
We have stayed here twice now and this will definitely be our go to place when we visit family in Tucson! It is clean & stylish and has modern features yet still reflects AZ. Staff was friendly, the place always smells amazing, the rooms are spacious and the beds and linens are VERY comfortable! (And trust me that is a HUGE statement coming from me as I have a bad back & multiple autoimmune conditions). I also love that it’s only a few years old because it definitely doesn’t have wear & tear or feel like most of the older places in Tucson where they’ve tried to “dress it up” but you can tell it’s actually still gross/grungy. Just know about Tucson. Downtown is a college area so weekends can get loud and I think they are clubs right there by the hotel. We never had an issue and the hotel uses a private parking garage. (But do stay alert in Tucson in general. It’s a border town. There is definitely crime, drugs, homelessness & “bad” areas to be in. So just know your surroundings and keep your car locked etc) ..I’ll add that the price was great for this hotel level! (The only negative was I do wish they had a pool) But if this location fits where you need to be don’t hesitate to book it! We will be back for sure :)
Lille’ H — Google review
Comfortable room, everything as stated on Marriott booking site. Two things that are on me for not getting fixed: the mini fridge was NOT cold enough, it stayed above 43° and the toilet float didn't work so the toilet would run if you didn't force it up. The parking is fine but personally the underground garage is inconvenient...elevator down to lobby, change elevator to parking garage and pulling out onto a busy street with somewhat difficult visibility isn't for me. I did get a great rate that included parking but otherwise that costs you $32. If you aren't familiar with the area, the entrance to the garage is NOT obvious. The staff is really nice and accommodating. It's pretty. Restaurant has pretty good food. I didn't fall in love with the place but that's just personal preference.
Caroling G — Google review
Excellent hotel and a great value with lovely access to downtown. The staff here are absolutely lovely, the food was very good, and the views are fantastic. We really enjoyed our visit. The only downside was that breakfast happened to be closed the day we went, but we’re already planning to come back. A nice bonus is the underground parking and it made things much easier. Tip: don’t trust Google Maps for the entrance; it’s actually on the south side of the building under the hotel.
Volney D — Google review
The bar last called at 9:30p. Morning shower was lukewarm. At breakfast, service was almost zero. Walking into the breakfast area not one table was cleared/reset. There was no host and when I did clean off an area for myself It took 10 minutes for me to get a cup of coffee. I ordered an omelette and 20 minutes later still no food. I ended up just abandoning my pre-paid breakfast deal and going to the airport. Aside from those things the hotel is nice, and the self-parking is great. With so many other options I prolly will not stay here again.
R — Google review
One of the worst hotels I’ve stayed at. The rooms are small and uncomfortable. The parking garage is horrendous and extremely dangerous (zero cell service or wifi in the lower levels). There are zero EV chargers too. The hotel gym is a joke — it doesn’t even have a working water fountain or water bottles. The onsite staff are rude — there is zero reason to be loyal to Marriott after staying here.
Jordan H — Google review
I have bogus charges for internet and phone use and there’s no way to contact the hotel via email and no one in their accounting department answers the phone. The front desk concierge explicitly said I wouldn’t be charged for internet when I asked him but he also asked me three times if I’d like water so I don’t think he was sober. The hotel was fine but overpriced.

Ventana Canyon is a sprawling desert resort located in the Catalina Foothills, just north of downtown. The architecture boasts an 80s design with interior cues inspired by Frank Lloyd Wright's Prairie Style. Despite its vintage appearance, the resort offers modern amenities and excellent service from helpful and professional staff. Guests can enjoy beautiful surroundings, including walking trails and opportunities for cycling. For those seeking adventure, there are challenging hiking options available, including a two-day hike loop for the more adventurous traveler.
Great rooms at Lowe's Ventana Canyon. Staff was helpful, professional and courteous. We have listed this as a location to return to in the future.

Nestled in the stunning Sonoran Desert, Westward Look Wyndham Grand Resort and Spa offers a luxurious escape that beautifully blends nature with comfort. Spanning 80 acres at the base of the Santa Catalina Mountains, this upscale resort features 241 well-appointed rooms, each boasting a private balcony to soak in breathtaking desert views. Guests can indulge in seasonal dishes crafted from local ingredients at Gold, the on-site Southwestern-style restaurant serving breakfast through dinner.
From start to finish, our experience at Westward Look was absolutely incredible. Olga, Ryan, and Misiell (The spelling is probably wrong) went above and beyond to make sure every detail of our fundraising event was perfect. From the moment our guests arrived, greeted warmly by the valet team, to the first glimpse of the stunning Gold Room; with its natural light and breathtaking views over the city, we knew we were in for something special. The AV setup was seamless, ensuring our speakers could be heard and seen without a hitch, creating the best possible atmosphere for our event. And then, the food. Large group events often sacrifice flavor for convenience, but not here. The culinary team listened to our vision for an elevated taco bar and absolutely ran with it. Every bite was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. I can’t express enough how happy I am with the way everything turned out. The professionalism, attention to detail, and heartfelt hospitality made this a night to remember. I highly recommend Westward Look for any event needs; you won’t just host an event, you’ll create an experience your guests will never forget.

Great resort needing just a little more attention to detail. Beautiful resort. Only issues: sheets hadn't been changed for our arrival. EV charging wasn't available at the time, and the Internet wouldn't connect for us to log in. Still a great place to visit and relax in!
Jason A — Google review
Tucson, Arizona's perfect location made our visit even more enjoyable. The atmosphere was delightful, resembling a vacation house rather than a hotel. On-site amenities included a beautifully maintained garden, three swimming pools, a hot tub, tennis courts, Pickleball, a spa, and a restaurant. The courtyards and nature walk around the property were standout features. Rooms were clean and tastefully simple. Although the pool temperature could be improved, the restaurant and hobby areas seemed due for updates. Initially, our impression was not ideal, but the cozy, clean rooms won us over. Friendly staff added to our positive experience. It genuinely felt like a vacation home.

Overall a great stay! My husband and I visited Tucson for four nights and stayed here. The property had great on site trails and two properly hot whirlpool tubs! I have been to many other hotels and resorts where the jets are broken and/or the water is lukewarm. They also offered clean towels and good tasting chilled water by the pool area. We ate breakfast from the onsite restaurant every morning. Judy was a kind, intuitive waitress. We will likely be staying here again when we come back to Tuscon and would recommend it to others! *The only reason i gave the rooms 4/5 stars is because the coffee maker and thermostat were slightly difficult to use.*
Katherine R — Google review
Changing my review because the Hotel did the right thing, and moved me to a room where there was no one above me. I had a very quiet, comfortable time the rest of my stay. My advice to anyone staying here: do not stay in any room that has a room above you. Each little casita-like building has six rooms: two are on the bottom, two are on the top and two are what they call wing rooms. I was moved to a wing room and it was very quiet and lovely. This was my original review when I had literally gotten no sleep the first night in the downstairs room: I am staying here right now in one of their downstairs king size junior suites. The sound from the upstairs room is unbearably loud. I hear every step, every time they rolled over in their bed , every chair scooted, every item dropped on the floor… Honestly, this is the worst hotel room I’ve ever experienced in terms of noise - and I’ve travelled a lot. It is alarmingly LOUD. I’m shocked if anyone stays more than one night in a downstairs room here. It is almost false advertising to offer this as a hotel room where people could have even minimal expectations to sleep. When I spoke to the front desk, they acknowledged it was a problem and offered to move me - IF they have another room available. I will otherwise have to get another hotel today. This room is un-stayable purely because of noise. The bed is comfortable, sheets are nice, large spacious room, very clean. The surrounding desert area is very pretty (but my balcony door lock is broken, and the sliding glass door will not open!) The lone front desk woman last night seemed friendly and very apologetic.
J H — Google review
Booked through my AE travel rewards, and there were more additional fees than expected. The room was not very clean and there were no mugs for coffee, only small paper cups. Questioned if it was bat droppings in our king studio room and the bed was sunken in the middle. The property is beautiful with two nature walks and the hot tub was deep. Good venue for a large group retreat but resort is a poor descriptive term for this location.
Danielle M — Google review
This place is gorgeous and the staff is amazing. Rachel and her team at the spa, Rosa (a veteran) who keeps the pool area stocked and clean, and Jonathan the tennis pro are all friendly, warm, and great at what they do. Really enjoy our membership here with swimming, tennis, gym, and spa services. Highly recommend.

An unexpected treasure in the desert. This was my first visit to Tucson. I attended a conference at this location in early November. I had access to parking in close proximity to my guest room, and also free charging stations for my electric vehicle. The grounds have a lovely sampler of the Sonoran Desert with walking trails, multiple cacti and flowers, multiple pools for soaking or swimming, and plenty of literature available to suggest other area attractions.

Nestled in midtown Tucson, the Lodge on the Desert is a historic boutique hotel that offers a unique blend of old and new Tucson. Dating back to 1931, this hacienda-style pueblo provides comfortable accommodations with a backdrop of the Santa Catalina Mountains. Conveniently located near major attractions such as the University of Arizona and Tucson International Airport, it offers farm-to-table dining at Cielos and an outdoor pool with a stone fireplace for relaxation.
Stayed 1 night, King Room with Spa Bath for my anniversary. The room was so nice and I loved the spa bath, also it had a balcony and a fireplace. It's a very quiet place and you can tell they have regular. The restaurant breakfast was delicious and very fancy. The pool was very clean and refreshing. They also let me check in earlier to decorate the room for anniversary. Everything came out as planned and was very happy with the stay.
Francelly M — Google review
The lodge is very cute and the landscaping is gorgeous. My king bed was so comfortable - loved the bedding! The pool is kind of small and shaded in the afternoon. I prefer a full sun pool. The room I stayed in was on the main road and quite noisy at times. For the cost, I felt they should offer a gym. They don't offer complimentary breakfast either. Sadly, I didn't try the restaurant. The location is good. I was able to see a lot in less than 20 miles. They are located in a suburb of Tuscon near strip malls. The area is pretty safe.

Very well-taken-care-of property. We've stayed here a couple of weekends once at a casita and the other at a deluxe room. Fully equipped with mini fridge, safe and Gilchrist & Soames toiletries. I would add a small makeup mirror on the side as counters are high and deep Clean room, great gardens, fountains and restaurant. Live music on Saturday evenings. Pool with hot tub. Nice early mornings reading by the pool that opens at 6 am, great coffee at the library every morning.

As always, The Lodge on the Desert is a great place for romantic getaways. We come here every year for our anniversary, and it's always a great experience. The front staff is customer focused, polite and professional. The rooms are lovely and feel nicer than your standard hotel room. Definitely recommend.

An oasis in the city! My family loved the size of our room and we enjoyed the lovely pool. We also played a couple rounds of chess in the lobby library. We enjoyed the landscape. We thought this stay was reasonable and made our trip to Tuscan much better.
Team S — Google review
I stayed here for a family trip during a high school graduation and reserved multiple rooms. From the moment we arrived, we were treated like second-class guests. While bringing our luggage up, my infant nephew briefly cried after waking from a nap—which is what babies do. Within minutes, I received a call from the front desk informing me that a "regular guest" (who was supposedly a surgeon in the room below) had complained. Instead of handling the situation with any sense of fairness or professionalism, the staff immediately became defensive, condescending, and even threatened to call the police on me—for simply asking what the complaint was about. The staff made it abundantly clear that this “regular” guest was more important than anyone else, and the rest of us didn’t matter. We were forced to move rooms, treated with zero respect, and never received any follow-up from management. No apology. Nothing. This experience completely ruined what should’ve been a celebratory family trip. If your idea of hospitality is to bow down to entitled “regulars” who demand silence in a shared building, especially one who feels the need to announce she's a surgeon, then you’ve lost sight of what customer service really means. It’s been a year, and I’m still shocked by the way we were treated. If you're looking for a place that values fairness, kindness, or common decency, this is not it. Avoid this place unless you want to be bullied by staff and silenced for daring to travel with your family.

This is a well kept treasure. Rooms are nice with tall ceilings. The property has a spanish design with alot of hidden designs to see. Rooms were very quite and spacious. Staff is extremly friendly and accommodating. This cost is budget friendly. I would recommend this as a must stay when visiting.

Very nice property that is discreetly located in a quiet neighborhood but convenient to amenities. The staff are very warm and welcoming. The rooms are a little dated and could use more outlets but they are comfortable and clean. The restaurant onsite, has good food and cocktails and is convenient. The Adobe Rose Inn in Santa Fe-style 1933 adobe lodging offers charming accommodations with Wi-Fi, a pool, and courtyards. The innkeeper, Dina, is exceptionally hospitable and ensures that guests' dietary preferences are taken into account for breakfast. The house is meticulously clean and showcases the southwestern aesthetic both inside and outside. Visitors can enjoy their stay in rooms like the Sam Hughes room, which exudes adorable charm.
A wonderful, friendly B&B in a beautiful, walkable residential neighborhood with lots of bird watching opportunities (and sidewalks). The grounds of the Adobe Rose are lovely to sit in, the pool was welcoming, the room was very comfortable and spacious, and the breakfasts -- we are both vegan -- were big and delicious and nourishing. The innkeeper was friendly and accessible, and really helped make our stay extremely pleasant. Highly recommend and would stay again.

This was my second time staying at the Adobe Rose Inn and it definitely won't be my last! Dina is so kind and cooks the BEST breakfast. My fiancee and I stayed together before and after we eloped in Saguaro National Park and we both thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the Atanacia Room. The Adobe Rose pool is serene, the ambiance of the whole hotel is enchanting, and the location is excellent! You can easily drive to all parts of the city/parks and you are a short walk from the University of Arizona campus. Cannot recommend the Adobe Rose enough!!

I came to Tucson for a graduate school interview and I couldn’t have asked for a more calm and peaceful place to stay. My girlfriend and I loved it so much, it helped ease my nerves and we had a great time. Dina is super friendly and she makes delicious breakfast. The entire place was spotless and we had everything we needed. I will be recommending it for my family members if they visit Tucson.

My husband and I wanted a charming place to spend a few days to reconnect. Here's what we loved about the Adobe Rose.....The neighborhood was quiet and charming, and the inn itself was adorable, quaint and had a lot of old-world southwestern charm. One of my favorite things were the outdoor spaces where you could relax. Each of the spaces has lots of vegetation and character that makes it ideal for chatting, reading, or just being outside. We stayed in the Sam Hughes room which was incredibly comfortable with its own gas fireplace. Our hostess Dina was the best and very accommodating. She made a home cooked breakfast each morning that was delicious and snacks were provided. I would 100% stay at this inn again next time I'm in Tucson.

This was a wonderful stay! My husband and I stayed 4 nights and couldn't have been happier. The bed was comfortable and all the amenities were top notch. The atmosphere they've created is both homey and cozy while also feeling like you're someplace that costs 10 times more. I LOVED all the beautiful plants and outside decor and enjoyed eating outside every breakfast. And speaking of breakfast, Dina's homemade breakfasts are not to be missed! You cannot get the kind of quality and quantity at your run-of-the-mill breakfast place. Thank you Dina for such a memorable stay, we will be back!

The Adobe Rose Inn is my favorite place to stay when visiting Tucson. It is in a lovely neighborhood very near the University of Arizona campus and within a short walk to a light rail station. The Inn is beautiful and the rooms very comfortable and quiet. Dian and the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. The breakfasts are really delicious and there are always available snacks as you head out for the day. I feel very fortunate to have found this Inn and plan to return on my next trip to Tucson.

The peaceful aura started as one walks up the steps to the front door by the bubbling rock fountain. Dina, the Inn Keeper, was attentive and creates a caring and homey atmosphere. I had arranged for the charcuterie tray for my first night so I wouldn’t have to deal with going out to a noisy restaurant after a full day of travel. It was the perfect start to my get away weekend to enjoy the bountiful tray poolside while the sun set! The breakfasts were yummy and perfectly proportioned. One morning sweet orange slices from the orange tree on the back patio garnished the main dish! Everything was so clean, so quiet, and so completely relaxing!!!! Lovely natural light at all times of day. Definitely an oasis in which one can regenerate. I will definitely be back!!!!

My husband and I recently stayed in the Charles O Brown room for 3 nights. Our stay was lovely! We are cleanliness fanatics. The Inn is immaculate. The bed was comfy and the breakfasts delicious, especially Sheila's homemade scones. We were unnecessarily concerned about staying in a city neighborhood with street parking. This bed and breakfast is truly exceptional. An absolute gem nestled in a quiet neighborhood. From the moment you walk in, the beautiful interiors make you feel right at home. The space is warm, inviting, and impeccably decorated with a perfect blend of rustic charm and timeless elegance. Our room was cozy, spotless, and beautifully appointed, with plush bedding that made for an incredibly restful night. Thoughtful touches like complimentary water, coffee, and tea added extra comfort. The common areas are equally stunning with comfortable lounge spaces, high ceilings, vintage details, and lovely natural light throughout. Dora and Amy are warm, welcoming, and go out of their way to make you feel at home. Parking was easy, and the peaceful atmosphere made it feel like a true getaway. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and homemade with care is one of the highlights of the stay. There’s even a gym to squeeze in a workout and a happy hour for unwinding. There’s no one reason to choose to stay at the Armory Park Inn. We stay when we have family functions in Tucson. But we also stay when we need a change of scenery, someone to take care of us, great breakfasts, incredible accommodations, but just as importantly, seeing Amy, Dora, Sheila and Janae. If you’ve been there before, you know. If you haven’t, go. I can tell you that you will feel exactly as we do. Nothing else comes close. Nothing. ❤️

One of the most delightful Bed and Breakfasts I have ever stayed. Much of it because the owner, Amy and her staff made us feel completely at home. Details were fabulous...for example Wifi # framed and put on books making it part of the decor. The breakfasts were like a restaurant in a 5-star restaurant...not only excellent food but presented beautifully. I can't think of anything I would change. I definitely want to go back

Stop doom scrolling on AirBNB!!! Just stay here! Excellent accommodations. The Armory Park Inn was our saving grace following one night at an AirBNB where you felt like the house was just purchased and immediately rented out. Back to the Armory Inn.......excellent service, delicious breakfast, fair pricing, 100% safe on street parking. AC worked perfect in the room. The entire place was immaculately clean.

Desert Diamond Casino & Entertainment in Tucson is a vibrant resort featuring restaurants, a nightclub, and an outdoor pool. Situated within a short drive of popular attractions like Kino Sports Complex and the Tucson Convention Center, this casino resort offers guests the chance to try their luck at the casino while also enjoying amenities such as an outdoor pool and spa tub. The property boasts complimentary wireless internet access and various dining options including American cuisine at The Diamond Cafe.
I've been here a few times and I like how this casino gives me more free play than the ones that I frequent more. This one has all my favorite games and has pretty good food. The staff is really nice and accommodating. I always enjoy myself at Desert Diamond Tucson. I haven't stayed at the hotel yet but I'm looking forward to it.

The rooms were nice and the air conditioning worked very well. These rooms are a lot nicer than most hotel rooms from other chains. The food options are limited to a food court. Pizza, burritos, and other similar foods are available. All soft drinks are free which is a big plus. The dining area, however, was messy and needed attention. There are plenty of slot machines, card tables, roulette, poker, and craps for you to play. Overall, I enjoyed my one night stay.

Unfair treatment in poker room – Supervisor Carlos I came early to join the poker tournament promotion. I took two allowed breaks (20min each) during my play, Supervisor Carlos saw me taking those breaks and never said anything . but when I checked in for the tournament, he claimed I’d been gone too long and only gave me 2 k chips instead of 4 k. This was both confusing and disappointing, especially because he had personally seen me take those breaks, never warned me of any issue, and only mentioned it at the end — effectively disqualifying part of my earned credit. When I told him that was unfair he did that on purpose and I wouldn’t come back, he just said “OK”in a dismissive way. That kind of attitude and inconsistency is very disappointing and unprofessional.. I came early, followed the rules, and still got penalized. Very disappointed in how the poker room handled this. I want to say that most of the dealers here are nice. But Carlos, the supervisor, is always mean and hostile toward players. One example: my friend accidentally left his sunglasses at the table. When he came back to ask about them, Carlos found the sunglasses in the drawer, and my friend even showed a photo of himself wearing them. Still, Carlos refused to return them. After seeing how he treated players in situations like this, I honestly don’t want to come back to this poker room anymore.

Had the best time! Rooms were very inexpensive. Service was slow at check-in. Friendly and service friendly personnel. Casino was great. Signed up for rewards card and received $10 food voucher. Had a great tasting chili cheese hotdog. Also received $20 extra bucks for slot machines. Loved the place. Will be my new stop when on route to the West.

Desert Diamond Casino is a lot of fun, but I've been going to this establishment for over 10 years and have never won a jackpot! Is that even possible??? I used to go every day now not so much because of that fact. I've won jackpots at both Del Sol and Casino of the Sun. However, I've yet to date won anything more than 900$ at the desert diamond and that's not a jackpot. Maybe this will be the year. YEAH RIGHT!!!😅🤣😂😅

Casino was nice very clean waitresses were walking around passing out drinks very polite loved that part butt the buffet 30.00 and had a very small selection of things it was almost 12:00 and they still have breakfast stuff out I'm going to be honest and say that it was not worth the price. The service was great no problems there just the option of food in a buffet that's almost $30 not worth it in my eyes. The dessert bar was nice though lots of different options

The staff except for a very selective few have some major issues with being rude and snobbish. They make it almost uncomfortable being present at their casino or resorts. This location is beautiful though it's got class and style, it's location is cool too it's right in Heart of South Tucson limits, but it's convenient to access with lots of room for parking any type of vehicle or ATV...

Don't know about the hotel part, but the casino itself is too small with machines stuffed into every nook and cranny and are all on top of each other. This is a very popular and busy casino but it's not for me with how it's so haphazardly put together. The small table section is also a bummer, especially seeing that none of them offer progressives. Not much to offer in terms of food either. The other offering 20 minutes away is a far better experience.

The hotel features the famous Cup Cafe known for its personality and great coffee, as well as a variety of baked goods. Additionally, it boasts a dance club, multiple bars, and hosts signature events throughout the year such as the Agave Heritage Festival and Dillinger Days.
Great lunch and the patio is nice and shaded. Good beer selection, great service. Have been there several times (they have great breakfast) but a 1st for my 2 colleagues who were also happy. One had the mango custard and it disappeared quickly.

This is the last of the original hotels in downtown Tucson, with original "Old West" charm and features. The central location is perfect for tourists and other visitors alike. The various bars are great fun and popular with locals. The breakfast us fabulous! Various bars and events are common, and really the only downside to the Congress is that you can sometimes hear the music in your room. Nevertheless we love staying at the Congress when we visit Tucson.

I wanted to give 5 stars so bad but I just couldn’t. Beautiful hotel, lots of history, the room was very nice and felt like it fit the atmosphere without being outdated and uncomfortable. We stayed in one of the haunted rooms and hoped to have a potential paranormal experience but I don’t blame the ghosts for not coming out given we didn’t sleep all night with all the noise. We were not above the club but there was outside music going until 2 AM and the DJ just seemed to keep getting louder, bring melatonin and ear buds if you plan on sleeping at all. It didn’t matter how loud that music was though because our neighbors next to our room were drunk the entirety of our trip, slamming doors, yelling in the hallways and playing their own music at ALL hours. I loved the hotel as a whole but it felt like they were trying too hard to be a party hub that they didn’t focus enough on their guests. Their website warns a lot about rooms above their club but not enough about just how loud the hotel is as a whole.

this review is on the Retro Game Show Night which is an event at the Congress that happens once a month. I've been attending this show, with my husband & best friend, for a few years now & totally love it!!! it is so FUNNY & all the people who put it on are very nice. the atmosphere is wonderful & people in the audience can participate as a contestant if you put your name in Chatty Cathy's red box & picks it. the show is a remake of all the old game shows. my husband & i were chosen as contestants once & we had a BLAST!!!! i will tell you now, that if you are a person with "hang ups or phobias" stay home. this show is for open minded people who love to laugh & have tons of fun! if that's you, don't miss it. check it out, you'll be so glad you did. thank you & KUDOS to whole cast of the Retro Game Show Night. love you all. :) Retro Game Show Night is Tucson’s longest-running monthly show at the historic Hotel Congress! The hilariously hyperkinetic Chatty Kathee hosts warped versions of television game shows (like The Wheel of Misfortune, The $9.95 Pyramid and The Family Fuss) with real contestants from the audience, over-the-top celebrity guests and life-altering prizes!

Went to a conjunto event last night with my wife , was told it was 15$ for two people and it read on the sign. This morning I saw I was charged 30$ for the entrance DOUBLE of what was promoted without my permission and full trust in the employee who walked away with my card! Not to mention all the people who “snuck” walked right in , they need more professional staff . First and last time going to an event in there courtyard, totally feel robbed , beware of the staff!!!

Do not come here on a busy night, especially a holiday. Bought tickets for a Halloween event a week prior. Showed up, was told I needed to wait in a standby line (over an hour wait) and would not be refunded my ticket cost if I didn't get into the event. No separate line for people who PURCHASED TICKETS ALREADY. Avoid this place at all costs on a busy night. Horrible management, horrible event coordination.

The Embassy Suites by Hilton Tucson Paloma Village is a large, all-suite hotel with a heated outdoor pool and gym. It's perfect for LGBTQ travelers or those looking for cheaper gay-friendly hotels in Tucson.
The hotel is large, well maintained, and has great views. The rooms are compact but spacious. The staff was friendly and attentive. The pool is small, very warm, and cozy. The food offered at breakfast and restaurant were not good, kinda bland, and just tasted badly. The omelet was the only good thing I enjoyed. Overall, I found this place overpriced and underwhelming.
TP S — Google review
We love the room. Clean and super quiet. I couldn't even hear people at the pool from the second floor. The saddest part of our stay was Saturday Night happy hour and breakfast. It felt like they could have cared less what they put out for food. We have been here other times and the food was plentiful and delicious. This time all there was was cheese and a few sad veggies. Breakfast was worse. Burnt muffins, ice cold eggs, sad looking fruit. Kinda made it feel like they don't care anymore. Overall, we are questioning if we want to stay here again if the happy hour and breakfast trend is going to continue. If you a clean quiet room the stay here. Great location with great shopping.

Overall, the experience at Embassy Suites by Hilton Tucson Paloma Village was fantastic — beautiful location off Campbell and Skyline, spotless rooms, comfortable beds, and some of the friendliest front desk and housekeeping staff I’ve encountered in a while. The pool area was clean, the complimentary breakfast was solid, and the bar had a great setup for watching the game… or at least, it should have. The one and only reason this isn’t a five-star review is Yesenia. While we were trying to watch the football game at the bar — with literally no one else there — she went out of her way to be incredibly rude and dismissive. Her attitude didn’t just kill the vibe, it was genuinely unnecessary. Every other employee made us feel welcome, and she did the exact opposite. If it weren’t for that unpleasant interaction, this would’ve been an easy five-star stay. Everyone else nailed it — Yesenia was the lone downside to an otherwise excellent experience.

Stayed for 2 days. Room is great. Although the room was not cleaned real well, the glass cups in the room were both disgusting! Not cleaned. Like they were used & placed back, house keeping never checked them. & don’t order from their restaurant. They literally have nothing! Everything is “out”. Tried to order the steak & ribs. They no longer serve that, but it’s on their menu. Then for breakfast, ordered an omelette, again “sorry we’re outta bell peppers”. 2nd night tried to order chicken club & chicken wings, again.. “sorry we’re outta bacon for the club, & only have bbq for the wings”. What a shame. Such a great hotel, but the restaurant is lacking. Which doesn’t hold to the hype & cost of the hotel room.

Great Rooms, Horrible service. Checked in at 6:10pm, I go to my room. Relax for a while with the family, looking at the hotel information I see that they offer an evening reception. Called 3 times to find out until what time it is, no one answers. Eventually they answer, and I was told it ended already at 6:30pm. When I checked In, Front Desk Agent never even mentioned anything about it. She basically just gave me the keys and told me where my room was. So we all missed it. Then breakfast really did it for me. They close breakfast at 9am!!! So I had to put an alarm and wake up my family to make it happen. Come down at about 8:45am. Very underwhelming choices compared to other Hilton Properties. I saw people getting pancakes and looked like the only decent thing to eat. When I ask the cook for pancakes, she tells me they just ran out. Its not even 8:50am!!! And they are already running out of things the whole setup looked terrible with very few choices already. I saw a lot of people rushing at around 8:55am to get something to eat and they were already cleaning everything up. And then the cherry on top, at 9:05am when all those people that were rushing start to eat their breakfast, they turn off the lights!!!! Yes!!! With people eating still!!! First time I EVER see something this rude in a Hotel. Then my daughter gets up to refill her water and in her face, they turn off the machine in a super rude way (she is 10 years old). Being a Diamond Member here means nothing. I would give it one star but the rooms are nice so thats the only reason why I give it 2 stars.
Jose A — Google review
We stayed here recently and overall, we were disappointed considering the price. The room itself was clean and the limited staff interactions we had were friendly, which we appreciated. However, several things really detracted from our stay. The breakfast was underwhelming—very sparse options and overcrowded. We went about halfway through the breakfast window and most of the food items were already running low or out entirely. Not what you'd expect from a hotel at this price point. The biggest issue for us was the shower—it never got hot. After a long day of travel, only having lukewarm (at best) water was really frustrating. Also, despite Google listing free parking as an amenity, guests are actually charged for parking. There was no mention of this at check-in, and we found a ticket-style notice on our windshield the next morning telling us to pay a parking fee plus a service charge. Why this isn’t simply added to the room charge is beyond me. Looking at other reviews, this seems to be a common complaint. Wouldn’t stay here again based on this experience. Clean rooms aren’t enough to make up for cold showers, misleading info, and a poor breakfast setup.
Jason B — Google review
The hotel room was fine, but complicated. I've never seen so many light switches in a room. The location in the city is good, but actually getting from the road to the hotel is a mess. Breakfast was one of the worst hotel breakfasts I've ever had. The prepared food was cold and the made to order omelets were made wrong. Parking was somehow managed by a 3rd party, and they flagged our vehicle as being parked without registering. We did register our vehicle at the front desk when we checked in. When leaving I talked to the front desk about the parking issue and they said it's not their problem and that it happens all the time. I asked to speak with a manager but was told that was not going to happen. I've got better things to do than deal with people who don't care, so I left and will never be going back.
Scott B — Google review
During our stay our experience has been waking up to hammering in the morning rooftop. Knowing there was going to be construction we would have booked a different hotel. Breakfast is basic however there was somehow always no protein left we don't eat eggs. A waffle machine would have been cool. The room feels a little dark like not enough light can reflect on the dark paint. The paint could definitely be better such as terracotta, French blue or even sage... The mattress felt stiff but the bed sheets were good. Cleanliness is good. I did enjoy the balcony even though I was facing the hotel entrance. I'm unsure if the TV in AZ are always pixelated but so far all the hotels I have stayed at are the same. It doesn't matter how big the television is if you can't watch anything,it's not really useful. This is the only hotel we paid for parking in Arizona which is ridiculous. What's the fee for my car getting dusty? I have come back at odd times and haven't seen any kind of security guards just the sun baking my vehicle. My stay was primarily to visit family in Arizona this place is nice but there are nicer hotels to stay with similar amenities and perhaps better.

The Downtown Clifton is a trendy hotel with vintage-inspired rooms and Western accents, featuring a lounge for dining and cocktails. Located in the heart of Tucson's cultural hub, it offers easy access to popular neighborhoods like Armory Park, as well as attractions such as the Jewish history museum and Bon Boutique. The hotel is surrounded by galleries, live music venues, bars, theaters, and dining options along Congress, Broadway, and 4th Avenue.
I'm so sorry to write this review. Three years ago, this place was pristine and vibrant. We live here in Tucson and love staying downtown for an evening event. The only thing I can think is that it changed ownership, or the owner checked out and left it to a total loser manager. But it is super sad. The only reason to stay here is the location. Our most recent reservation was for last Saturday night. I received a text a few hours before check-in from the so-called manager informing me the front desk would be closed. If there were issues, text or call. There were and I did both. No response, ever. The place seemed to be full, but it was depressingly dead, and trash in doorways. No coffee in the morning. We paid 170.00 for a shell of a place. When my husband tried to reply to to the review requested by the hotel, it was sent back to him as undeliverable. Such a sad story. Wonderful hotel run into the ground.

DO NOT BOOK HERE! I came to Tucson for a conference and booked this hotel that was nearby the convention center. When I arrived I found this note saying that they had to abruptly close. There was no email, no notification, no effort to contact me whatsoever to let me know that they had closed. I emailed the email provided only to get a return email saying that the email was invalid. I called and was sent to voicemail. I had to call my credit card company to dispute the charge. I have yet to hear back from the hotel. Extremely disappointing and not how I expected my trip to start.

It's lawsuit time. Booked hotel to attend event downtown. When we arrived to check in there was a note on door that they were closed due to water being turned off. I tried the email from sign on door and it bounced back. No warning email so we could book another property. Hopefully it doesn't hit my card card as I will be requesting a refund from our credit card company! Sad because we have stayed here several times in the past but sounds like something has happened worse than a water issue. I read the warnings on Google too late.
Mary W — Google review
I was planning to stay here this past weekend, but it closed and they didn't notify anyone with a reservation. They also charged me and I haven't gotten a refund! They kept sending me emails about checking in and thanking me for my stay, but any emails sent to the hotel bounce back and the phone number is out of service. I only found out about it a few days in advance from a news article after I tried to call and the phone number didn't work. Very shady and a shame because this property looked really cute!
Michelle J — Google review
Arrived from out of town to check in and see this note at the door with no staff present. No phone call or email or text notification to people with reservation. I used to LOVE this hotel but this is unacceptable. Reservation was booked directly from their website - even if the hotel had to close - how could they not contact all reservations to tell them to not waste their time. Tried calling and emailing and never received an answer. Incredibly inconsiderate and inhospitable. Ended up cancelling Tucson trip and driving back to Phoenix and have yet to hear about a refund or from anyone with the hotel.
Jason — Google review
!WARNING! DO NOT BOOK! My girlfriend booked this place for 3/9 and we had the same experience as other recent reviews. Empty parking lot and locked office with a sign on the door saying that they had to close due to water issues. None of the email addresses nor the phone number worked. I'm glad to see Google now listing this as temporarily closed, but the hotel website still allows you book nights for 1,000 dollars a night. In our case, not only were we not sent an email informing us about the closure, but rather a welcome email anticipating our stay. We even received an email thanking us for staying, which we obviously couldn't. It would appear that someone is running a scam out of this now defunct hotel and I hope these recent reviews can prevent anyone else from having their money stolen.
Larkin D — Google review
Like others, I arrived for my prepaid reservation and was greeted not by the usual caring and warm staff but with an empty parking lot, note in the window, and a locked door. I don’t know what happened but the exit execution was poor to non-existent. This was the only place I stayed in Tucson. My previous 10 or so stays made it a no-brained to return time after time. I am sorely saddened and deeply disappointed.
Hakim S — Google review
DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL. We booked here for 3/7 and showed up to the note on the door. No advanced notice. No refund. The email address is bad and no one returns calls to this number. The hotel number is disconnected. At a minimum someone should have reached out to us directly with some explanation. So far nothing. This is theft.

I wanted to share my experience from my recent stay. We almost didn’t stay here because of the bad reviews and I always read those carefully and make my decision based on other people’s experiences. So the positives are the hotel is beautiful upon arrival, everything is wonderful and decorated perfectly! The rooms are so nice, beautiful decor, amazing bathroom with many lighting choices, beds were hard but slept great. Now the negatives. It smells like sewer gas by pool, our shower leaked on the floor and the hotel restaurant service was not good at all. They did comp our breakfast one morning because the scrambled eggs were slimy. Not many options on the menu and seems like with 2 tables we should have had much better service but she was friendly and apologetic about our experience. We would stay again but would like to see changes made to the areas of concern that others complained about in the reviews prior to mine.

Rooms are very well kept and clean. The hotel is newer and very clean. In a fairly nice quiet area in Tucson with plenty of restaurants nearby. I stayed at the El Conquistador last week and while the view may have been a little better, The Eddy overall is so much cleaner and well kept. I would suggest booking a room far away from the elevator. My room unfortunately backed up to it and you could hear the elevator running all night. It was very loud. This will be my new go to hotel when working in Tucson. Parking is also easy and complimentary. Highly recommend.

This hotel is amazing and in a premier location to everything to eat and have fun. Foremost, we would like to thank Susie and Roberto for the amazing time at The Eddy. They both were amazing. We witnessed Roberto going out to the pool to ensure everyone was having a great time and ensure their safety. Susie on the other hand, was very interactive with us at the bar, and shared same like experiences with us. She provided awesome restaurant recommendations and made us feel comfortable and at home. We are returning customers and have not met these two superior individuals before. You definitely have great assets in your company with Susie and Roberto.

The Eddy is by far the nicest Hilton branded property in Tucson. Being only a handful of years old, the property is clean, well maintained and appointed. My Wife Lynette always passed by saying we should go in for lunch. Never did and she passed away this May 2025. I went in to see if this might be a good place for her celebration of life. It seemed perfect and the food was great. (On my best burger in town list!) Aug. 9th 2025 I held her celebration of life there. They were easy to work with. My group was 50ish and the room and sound system set up and food was exceptional! Many of our group was ohana from Hawaii and we stayed at the Eddy. This place was designed for hanging out and socializing. I do not give out 10’s but the Eddy deserves one! Thank you for making such a tough time in my life a little easier! I 100% recommend you holding an event here!

Looks great but that's where it ends here, looks. Terrible experience. Do not recommend at all. Smoking is allowed directly outside the pool area, allowing massive amounts of cigar smoke to waft through the entire space. Imagine, relaxing in the hot tub, enjoying the view, all while choking on 2nd hand smoke. Leaky shower door floods the floor after every shower. Pool towels and room towels felt like sandpaper. Have never seen such awful towels in a hotel. Walking through the restaurant area while everyone is eating to get to the awkwardly placed elevators, what a joy 🤣 Oh, the beds are hard as a rock. In no scenario would I stay again at this absolute shit show of a hotel.

The Eddy Hotel & Tappery is an absolute gem! From the moment we arrived, we felt incredibly well taken care of. The atmosphere is fantastic, offering the perfect spot for both a relaxing dinner and lively drinks. What truly set our experience apart was the exceptional service. Roberto, the manager, went above and beyond to accommodate my family and me for dinner and drinks. His dedication to ensuring we had a great time was evident, and it made a huge difference to our evening. Susan, the bartender, was also wonderful – attentive, friendly, and skilled at her craft. I cannot recommend The Eddy Hotel & Tappery enough. If you're looking for a place with great food, a wonderful ambiance, and outstanding service, this is it! We'll definitely be back.

We stayed here in February 2025. My family booked two suites. The rooms were nice, the pool, staff, and location are great! The breakfast was a great start to our days. I felt like the staff really cared about each other and their customers. I walked the path nearby several times. Would love to come back someday!

Roomy suite that worked fine for our group of 5 adults for 2 days. Breakfast was pretty good - but need to go earlier in the window to ensure you get all the offerings. Seems they don't restock much in the last 30 minutes. Parking super tight, especially if you have a larger vehicle. Location in St. Phillips Plaza was a bit hard to find, but fine once you figure it out. Front desk staff seemed friendly at all hours.

Loved the mini suite room. Felt like home. Some challenges getting through security system to actually get into it. Front desk staff could have been more helpful. My room was prepaid by my host, but I was charged as well. That was an unpleasant surprise. Fun location right in a shopping area with interesting restaurants just steps away.

Decent hotel but needs a remodel. Rooms are old, have a musty smell and limited kitchen utensils. Breakfast is also unimpressive compared most Homewood’s. Front desk staff was amazing. Unfortunate location with leaving with difficult road access given a high traffic area. Not a bad place for 1-2 night stay but needs a full Hilton remodel.

After a bad airbnb experience that left us without anywhere to stay for the night, I found this hotel after a quick Maps search. It was the first one I clicked on, and after our stay, it will always be our go-to when we're in town! Rebecca took care of me at check-in, and she was the best person I've ever encountered at a hotel front desk. The hotel and room itself were immaculate. Our two-bed room was located in the perfect spot, and beautiful. We had a good view of where I parked in the parking lot, too. It was absolutely quiet nearly the entirety of our stay, and the beds were truly made to provide a good night's sleep. This is THE best hotel stay in Tucson, hands down. And did I mention Rebecca was FANTASTIC? :D

Traffic is a tad crazy around 4-6pm. Location of hotel is great. Restaurants are very good. Walk within the plaza so you don't have to drive.

Based on room and location it is ok. But, I have never seen such a bad front desk service in my lifetime. The lady who was in the front desk is not helpful at all. I had to wait 3 hours in the lobby with my kid who is 4 years old just because of her.

DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Hotel Tucson Airport is a modern all-suite hotel conveniently located just a short walk from Tucson International Airport. The hotel offers comfortable accommodations with modern amenities, including free parking and WiFi. It's an ideal base for exploring popular attractions such as the University of Arizona and Saguaro National Parks. Guests can also enjoy the convenience of 24-hour free airport transportation using shuttle buses.
Service was friendly. Room great. Bed very comfortable. The only complaints are in the bathroom. Toilet took 3 times to flush and the shower is slippery with no safety mat. Pool courtyard was peaceful and beautiful. Complimentary shuttle and our driver was very cheerful at 3:25am. Very close to the airport.
DeAnna M — Google review
This was a truly awful experience. The room was dark and poorly maintained, with very outdated furnishings. The bathroom was in terrible condition, and the bed was extremely uncomfortable. We tried to stay positive since it was just for one night, and decided to go to the pool—but what a disappointment! The pool was overcrowded, taken over by a single family who had brought loud speakers, leaving no peaceful space to relax. There weren’t enough chairs or seating areas available, and worst of all, the pool area had no towels at all. The door to the pool was left open without any security, which felt unsafe. The air conditioner in our room was extremely noisy and didn’t work properly. It was almost impossible to get any sleep. There should be clear rules for using the pool area to ensure all guests can enjoy it. Overall, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. The air conditioner was so loud that I couldn’t sleep at all. When I tried calling the front desk for help, the phone in the room didn’t even work. The bed was hard, noisy, and very uncomfortable—I still have back pain because of it. On top of that, the room wasn’t clean. This hotel is in serious need of maintenance and proper cleaning. Very disappointing stay.

Do you like outdated hotels? Do you like walking into a door that is not sealed all the way? Do you like walking on dirty stained gross carpet? Do you like to stare at walls with water damaged and or peeling wallpaper? How bought cabinet doors that don't open or close properly? Couch that looks and smells from the 70s? Outdated and abused furniture? Or do you love sleeping on horribly stained bed sheets with different types of hair in sheets? How about drying yourself off with towels that are falling apart and have stains all over them and look 10 years old? Or how about not being able to control heating or cooling and have to request a portable plug in heater or fan because the "engineer" has decided on what YOU will be comfortable at? Then this hotel is just right for you! All jokes aside. I would not stay at this location ever again. It's probly the most outdated dirty broken double tree I've stayed at. The only thing this location has that is more than 5 star is the staff. They deserve better because as I was here the 2 days out of the 17 days I booked they had to deal with some angry guests due to the hotel conditions. I wish I could add pictures cause when you view photos of location it's way worse in person. Work partner said his room was worse than mine. Thank God we get to leave early. Did not wanna stay here any longer.

A nice hotel, old style but rooms are very spacious, it was worth it for that amount and it was very near the airport like 8-9 minutes walking but I took the uber because it was summer hot. I stayed here for a company meet and greet in Tucson and the staff were fairly polite. I went in for a breakfast and there was no hot sauce but the waiter gave me one and was very polite enough to ask what I still need without being sarcastic except looks like the bacon was cooked several days ago, it was tough like a jerky beef but nothing serious to complain about this hotel. I even got a free cookie twice from the nice lady.
Carlo T — Google review
Room was a total dump. Broken blinds on the doors, terrible lighting, super old furniture, etc. did not feel safe here at all. Front desk person was very nice and helpful and cookie was good. No complaints there or with location. Would not stay here again. This place needs a complete gut reno.

Great location near the airport. rooms are a little dated. But comfortable. The restraunt on site is good. Great free breakfast in the morning. Overall satisfied with my stay. Pool area and patio areas was also awesome looking. I did not use them.

Rooms get cleaned and the staff is amazing. The hotel is so old everything needs to be fixed. A personal opinion the gym gets neglected at some points during the week. The bar at the hotel has decent food depending on what you’re getting. Breakfast has everything you’d need. Wi-Fi can’t reach a lot of rooms and my 5G can’t reach out of those same rooms.
Brad C — Google review
Hotel is dated and needs renovation or a date with a demolishing crew. Pictures are very deceiving! I typically stay at a Doubletree because I found them to all be very similar in style and comfort. Unfortunately I found the outlier. I chose it because it was the closest to the airport and that was a mistake. Several hundred feet down the road for $5-10 more and you can get a lovely updated room with ice cold AC. The Doubletree in room AC was unresponsive and the filter was caked with dirt. The hotel posts quaint little signs above the thermostats talking about how it is some kind of centralized system and you can't control it. It might work it might not. It also talked about how you can request a box fan with a $250 dollar deposit if not returned. My fan was number #65 after I requested it, so I imagine they give out quite a few of these. My coworker also requested one for his hot dingy room with a unique musty smell. After one night powering through heat due to late arrival, the room was 81° when I arrived back at 4 pm from working all day. The last straw wast the toilet chain proceeded to give out and and I needed to reach deep in the tank to open the flapper and flush my waste. It appeared to have rusted through. I proceeded to wash my hands pack my bags and check out. The staff is super kind and I had nothing but good interactions. Both shuttle drivers were super pleasant and very kind. The nice gentleman that checked me out shortly after my toilet fiasco understood my concerns, apologize profusely and seem to not be surprised at my reasons for departure. Appears to be a common trend. I'd like to think room 102 was an isolated incident but based on my co-workers similar findings in another room down the hall I will stand by my one star review!

La Posada Lodge & Casitas, Ascend Hotel Collection is a pet-friendly B&B with a southwestern style and Latin theme. Originally a 1960s motor lodge, it has been transformed into a boutique hotel with rooms featuring Saltillo-tile floors and hand-painted Mexican headboards. Some rooms pay homage to its past with whimsical decor.
Stayed with my husband and my two younger siblings. The rooms were very clean and well kept. Comfortable beds and nice AC! Check in and out was smooth and a breeze, all staff we dealt with were super friendly and helpful. Maria was super kind and made us all feel very welcome. The kids loved the pool, it was clean and they liked the fact it had a proper deep end. Hot tub was good also. The breakfast was a nice bonus as well! Overall a very pleasant stay. Will definitely stay again when in the area. Thank you!!

Super cute place. Comfortable rooms, convenient location. My husband and I stayed here to celebrate our anniversary we had a nice relaxing time so we decided to stay another night. Our current room wasn't available so we changed rooms to continue our stay. Within minutes of entering the new room the front desk calls to inform me our previous room smelled like marijuana and explained they have a no smoking policy on the premises and if violated comes with a fee. The front desk then informs me we would not be receiving the fee at this time and acknowledged there was no evidence of smoking, just the smell of marijuana. After some discussion it was clear we were not being accused of violating the smoking policy, we were being threatened with a cleaning fee for having marijuana in our possession in their building. It was a quick souring of our experiance here.

From booking our rooms (7 of them) to checking at different times and days the staff were amazing! The cookies at check in are delicious, my son didn’t even share his with his family, to breakfast with a morning view of the beautiful Arizona desert. We have stayed at several other locations in Tucson while visiting family and this one will be the only one we book from here on out. We truly have no complaints. If we had an issue the front had it taken care immediately (our ac was not working by the time we got back to our room we had brand new unit installed!) Don’t sleep on their happy hour at bar! If you’re looking for a location to host a business meeting or family gathering this is the spot! Javier took care of all our needs for my Father-in-laws 85th birthday and everyone that attended could not stop talking about how gorgeous the hotel and location were. Several family members who live in Tucson had never been to this Hotel and going to be recommending it to family and friends when they come to visit. All in all this Hotel is a 100 out of 10 in my book and already planning our next visit! Mahalo Javier, Sam, Brett & the entire staff for making us feel like Ohana 💜🌺

There's a lot of charm here, spacious rooms, interesting artwork and great food every morning. The staff is friendly and helpful. The older wall A/C was a bit loud, but given Airzona temps quite necessary. The upper units facing the street could use better sound sealing, so if possible select one on the other side of the court yard.

I wanted to love La Posada but couldn't quite give it five stars. The property is old school Tuscon which we loved. The rooms definitely need some updating. The paint was peeling and chipping. The television was a struggle to change channels. With that being said, the mattresses were comfortable and the patio was wonderful to sit and have morning coffee along with watching the monsoon rains over Mount Lemmon during the day and at night. Unfortunately, it rained the entire time we were there so we were not able to take advantage of the pool and hot tub. The breakfast was good and hearty. I expected a better breakfast since we were charged a resort fee that included breakfast. Most hotels offer the type of breakfast that we had and without the resort fee cost. I probably won't stay here again since there are other options with similar cost. I will say if you want an opportunity to stay in an old hotel that gives you the feel of old Tucson, I would certainly stay for one visit. Also, the front desk staff were helpful.

I was only in town one night for work. I chose this hotel because of proximity to the office I was going to. So I didn’t explore the area much. The room was spacious and very clean. It has older bones, but not in a bad way! The included breakfast was a full meal. Scrambled Eggs, hard boiled, breakfast meats, oatmeal packets, fruits, pastry, bagels, yogurts and more. I sat outside to eat and took in the view.

Well taken care of by Sam and Matthew at the los gringos restaurant. The bacon wrapped shrimp was great. The pool and hot tub were great- 9ft deep on one end 3 on the other-spa was perfect temp for most 102ish... Double bed set up was standard. too small for 3 but will look into the casitas next time. Good value. Great service.

Breakfast is amazing, the rooms are nice and comfortable. Your showers are cozy but nice and hot, you get a great view of the drop dead gorgeous aesthetic this hotel has. The staff were and are extremely caring about my situation and help me out with a workaround unlike a certain hotel down the street. I really do say and mean it when I say you really do get your money's worth here.

The DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Hotel Tucson - Williams Center is a convenient all-suite hotel with free breakfast and parking, as well as a restaurant, bar and outdoor pool. It offers spacious accommodation and superb facilities for families and leisure travelers.
THE GOOD: My room was comfortable and quiet. The breakfast 🥞 🍳 buffet was enjoyable. The restaurant staff was very attentive. There's a Starbucks right next door along with many restaurants within walking distance. Olive Garden, Five Guys, Angry Crab, etc. Oregano's Pizza was about 2 miles away. THE NOT SO GOOD: The bathroom sink is in the same room as the bed. Fortunately, I was alone or I would've hated that as I'm a very light sleeper. I learned the hard way that the outlets on the night stand only work when the light switch is turned on... The restaurant on the property is closed on Sunday ... So plan accordingly.

The DoubleTree at Williams Center is a retro oasis in Tucson. The palm surrounded pool in the middle of the hotel complex feels like a private hide-away. The comfy 1970's retro style suites have updated furnishings, however, the bathrooms need to be updated. The staff is friendly and helpful. The parking is good. The breakfast is decent. Plus there are restaurants nearby (including a Nothing Bundt Cakes shop across the boulevard!)

I always pay close attention to reviews, so after booking through an Express Deal, I was a bit worried when I saw the latest ones weren’t so great. But my actual experience was nothing short of perfect. The cleanliness was flawless, the pool and spa were relaxing and well-maintained, and the breakfast was both delicious and satisfying. I especially enjoyed the generous selection of fresh fruits. The deposit was refunded right away as soon as I left the hotel. 강추합니다!!! 깨끗하고 수영시설도 좋고 넘 좋아요!

A beautiful layout, with a spacious courtyard that contains the pool, hot tub, and the Hidden Tree bar & grill. If you're sensitive to noise, you want a room on the north side of the hotel. Breakfast was great on the scale of hotel buffets, and superbly attended to by an unfailingly polite gentleman. Eggs were real, sausage and bacon were fine. The evening bartender, Rose, is particularly awesome. Pool is s technically heated, but not enough on a couple windy, 10-degree-below-normal days in March. Housekeeping staff were a bit loud at times when vacationers might reasonably be sleeping. All considered, we would definitely stay here again, and not hesitate to recommend to friends and family.

We just checked out. When booking online total night fee was going to be $138, upon checking in we were told that there is a $75 incidental coverage which was not mentioned on website or while booking online. This should be disclosed. Was told we should get it back after checking out if everything was ok. Last night we arrived the A/C was not on, the room was hot. The rooms are outdated the beds seemed old to where you can hear the springs. This morning no hot water, no shampoo conditioner bottle was empty, the tub was dirty if it’s stained there are ways to get rid of it. The complimentary breakfast was cold the juices weren’t cold. Staff there was good. Checking out was bad the doors were still locked staff was not professional receptionist was talking to someone as we were there waiting, wasn’t even asked how our stay was. Basically the pictures of entrance and dining are deceiving. This was the worst stay we’ve had in many years. We chose this place due to all the so called great reviews. I never do reviews unless I have too, which is very rare. I would not recommend this place at all. We were very upset and disappointed.
Marylou M — Google review
I appreciate the nice rooms and friendly staff, but unfortunately, my experience was overshadowed by recurring issues with the air conditioning. The AC units freeze up and frequently stop working, leaving the rooms uncomfortably hot. This was my second stay here, and both times I faced the same problem. If you prefer a cool sleeping environment, you might want to consider other options. While someone did come to assess the AC, they didn’t resolve the issue and merely informed me that it’s a common problem in all the rooms. Additionally, the food didn’t meet my expectations, and I encountered a concerning roach issue. While ordering drinks at the bar, I noticed roaches on the counter, which was quite off-putting. Given these factors, I believe there are better alternatives available at similar price points.

Me and my family stay here a few years ago, and they still haven't improved anything! The first time we stayed, our room had spiders, bugs, stains on the bed sheets, and the sliding door was broken and, mind you, the sliding door was on a balcony, where you shared it with everyone on that side. This time, we decided to give it a second chance because we heard they had some renavations were done. When we got there, it looked like the exact same, and pur Ac wasn't working, and it was at 80°. So we got a new room, and it's was great for the first night, and on the second night, the ac broke. We were all burning up in the middle of the night. The good thing about this hotel is the pool which was clean and very nice. The breakfast was also delicious, but I wish they left it open until 11:30. And the staff was very nice though. The location was nice and right by a few stores and mom and pop shops. So I would rate this stay a 0.8 out of 5

This review is from my stay during New Years 2024. I've to say that Canyon Ranch Tucson is an oasis of peace and a place to come to disconnect and recharge. The grounds are beautiful with lots of activities to choose from. The Sonoran Desert Landscape is unique and invites peace and reflection. The food is quite healthy, the suites are spacious and private. If you are into yoga, outdoor activities, meditation or just want to self reflect and energize yourself this is the place to come.

I received a call this afternoon from Canyon Ranch about a missed facial appointment. I reached out to Canyon Ranch to advise them that I had never been to Canyon Ranch nor had I ever made plans to visit/set an appt up and that they must have the wrong number. About 30 minutes after this I received a second call from someone named Kaylee with the skin care services at Canyon Ranch who proceeded to accuse me of not showing up for my appointment and talked over me multiple times before I was able to inform her that she had the wrong number. No apology was made for the mix up and she abruptly hung up the phone. While I have never visited nor plan to visit Canyon Ranch, I definitely can vouch that they need to work on their customer service skills.

I come every Memorial Day weekend and it’s always a great time! The grounds are so relaxing and beautiful. The pools are lovely with great facilities at each one. Each day I wake up, grab a coffee at the double u, do a cold plunge and head off to back to back workout classes. Then I get a healthy lunch, head to the pool until it’s time for my spa service either before or after a healthy dinner. Every spa service I had this year was fantastic! I highly recommend deep tissue massage if that’s what you like! And the Venn Age Defying facial was lovely. I already miss the ranch and can’t wait to return!

Have you ever been to an amazing spa and thought "How could they make this even better?" The staff really take this to the next level. Tucked away in the Tucson hills is this huge campus of exercise, classrooms, restaurants, pools and even a high-rope challenge. We got a day pass for the spa and enjoyed an included lunch with a made-to-order pasta bar and enjoyed all the spa amenities (hot tub, cold plunge, massage, facial) for half a day. Staff like Jason who go out of their way to acknowledge and welcome you and offer everything they can to make you feel taken care of are what elevate this to an incredible experience.

This is my first bad review I’ve ever written and had to decompress a few days before doing so. Canyon Ranch is in a beautiful location and it’s a shame I had such a bad experience at this resort. I purchased a day pass for $450, which included $250 worth of spa services, on Thanksgiving break. During my massage, I was body shamed by the massage therapist for the last 1/2 of my 80-minute massage. I’m in pretty good shape and exercise 5-6 days/week, but the massage therapist talked to me like I was an overweight, out of shape individual. He shared personal details of his spouse having battled anorexia, and I’m sure this had something to do with this poor treatment of me. It was pretty horrible, as I was in a vulnerable position on the massage table, and had never been spoken to like this before in my life! The front desk staffer that checked me in for the day seemed inexperienced and could have been a lot more helpful in explaining the way a day pass worked, so I wasn’t comfortable explaining to him what had happened in the massage room and wasn’t sure who else to speak to as no one seemed to be in charge at the spa, nor the resort check in desk. I went during Thanksgiving week and the resort seemed light staffed, so perhaps that’s why the restaurant was only open for a few hours too. I would not recommend spending money here for a day pass. It wasn’t worth half of what I spent, in my opinion.
Patty C — Google review
I had a fantastic time at Canyon Ranch. The food was incredible and all you can eat. I will say that for a "health spa", the food was pretty unhealthy - lots of high-carb Mexican food. I would like to give a special shout out to Chef Robert and his incredible omelette bar. The classes are great but a ton of them are an additional fee for no apparent reason. The services are also fantastic but insanely expensive. You can tell that private equity bought this place to extract as much money as they could out of health-focused individuals. If you want a spa getaway and want to drop $10k for the week then this is your place.
Cornelia M — Google review
I was there at a day pass, client got me a day at canyon Ranch for appreciation. Wow, what a gift. Learned meditation and yoga to a higher depth. Their massage was incredible. Food was clean and so good. Grounds are very much desert and well tailored to zen gardens. You must take some classes, lots to do so hard not to want to do them all. I love their robes and wish I had bought one.

The Blenman Inn, formerly known as The Royal Elizabeth Inn, is a luxurious 1878 adobe mansion located in downtown Tucson. This National Historic Landmark offers six antique-filled rooms and suites, providing guests with a taste of southwestern charm. With its grand Palladian columns and Victorian-era interiors, the inn appeals to history buffs and romantics alike.
My experience at this hotel was truly magical—beautiful, inviting, and absolutely unforgettable. I stayed in the Rose Room for nine nights, and it felt like something out of a fairytale. The decor was adorably elegant, just like a princess’s room. The bed was wonderfully soft, and both the shower and toilet were clean and very easy to use. One small tip: the power outlet is a bit far from the bed, so bringing an extension cord might make your stay even more comfortable. The hotel also features a pool and spa that guests can use anytime. The spa was warm and soothing—almost like a hot spring—and perfect for unwinding after a long day. Breakfast was served buffet-style and always delicious. I especially loved the occasional handmade quiches and freshly baked bread—they quickly became my favorites. But what truly made my stay special was the staff. Every single person I interacted with was kind, thoughtful, and incredibly attentive. They always made sure I was comfortable and helped with anything I needed, no matter how small. Thanks to them, my nine-day stay was not only comfortable but truly heartwarming. If I ever visit Tucson again, I would absolutely choose this hotel without a second thought. Thank you for the wonderful experience!

My husband and I stayed at the Blenman Inn for a romantic anniversary getaway and had an absolutely lovely stay! Amy greeted us at the door with warm lavender towels and gave us a fun and informative tour of the property. She went absolutely above and beyond to accommodate our strict dietary needs with a delicious dairy-free and gluten-free cheese board and an assortment of dairy-free and gluten-free breakfast items. She selected a lovely locally crafted rosé wine as part of our Warm Welcome that gave us a romantic and refreshing taste of Arizona flavor. Amy truly made us feel at home and felt like a dear friend by the time we left, we couldn't be more grateful for her kindness and thoughtful care during our stay! We stayed in the Ryan Patrick suite which was appointed with lovely antiques and comfortable, timeless furniture. The mattress was absolutely heavenly to sleep on and it was truly special to wake up peacefully to a room full of warm, natural light. Our room was pristine and had everything we needed, including fresh, fluffy towels, a safe, mini fridge, and a tv carefully tucked inside a stunning antique armoire. It was a true delight to stay in a room with so much history. The charm of Victorian details and Adobe craftsmanship was truly one of a kind, I felt like royalty from the moment I stepped into the building until long after I left. I thoroughly enjoyed the wide selection of gourmet teas and the inviting atmosphere of the formal dining room and kitchen. We dined poolside our first evening and were thoroughly impressed with the gorgeous lighting and pristine water, (it was a windy and stormy night, that couldn't have been easy to accomplish!). From beginning to end, the Blenman Inn exceeded all our expectations and made us feel right at home. To Amy and the Blenamn Inn, thank you so much for the most perfect and romantic anniversary weekend we could ever ask for! We will treasure the memories of our stay for years to come, and hope to return soon. If you're looking for the best accommodations in Tucson, the Blenman Inn is a must stay!

This has to be one of our favorite hotels that we've ever stayed in. It's such a special place for many reasons. The structure has been lovingly preserved and kept up and it's exceptionally clean. The staff have obviously been hand picked with care, we loved them! We enjoyed the lovely breakfasts, the period decor, the many, many special touches and the spa & pool. We have seldom enjoyed a hotel like this and we're world travelers. Margo, the proprietor is amazing.

We stayed at the Blenman Inn over the July 4 weekend and couldn’t have been happier with the experience. Shay and the staff were warm and very helpful. The property is spotless, beautifully decorated and had nice touches for the holiday weekend. Our room was quiet and the bed was very comfortable. The pool and hot tub were perfect for relaxing. Breakfasts were outstanding, with a wide variety of options each morning. Everything about our stay was thoughtful and top notch. Do yourself a favor and book a stay here. You won’t be disappointed.

I was pleasantly surprised at the beauty of this historic inn. Each of the 7 bedrooms is perfectly appointed with a mix of antiques (many original to the inn) and modern comfort. There is a lovely pool and hot tub just outside and many comfortable locations inside and out for relaxing and enjoying a cup of coffee or a cool drink. The staff are friendly and welcoming. They are knowledgeable about the inn’s history, as well as local attractions, activities and restaurants. Everything about our stay was special, from the cool cloth I was given upon my arrival (the temperature was 112 degrees!) to the tasty breakfast. The inn is within walking distance of some fantastic restaurants and the interesting and historic old courthouse (where John Dillinger was tried and convicted). The Blenman Inn is on the route of the Turquoise Trail, a 2.5-mile walking trail through downtown Tucson that highlights sites of historic interest and is marked by a turquoise line on the sidewalk. I will definitely stay at the Blenman Inn next time I’m in Tucson.

A Truly Exceptional Stay at The Blenman Inn! From the moment I arrived, The Blenman Inn was unforgettable; the ambiance blending historic charm, a wonderfully relaxing and luxurious feel, and thoughtful hosts made it feel like stepping into a bit of Tucson history. Every corner of the property exuded an elegant yet comfortable, homey atmosphere. My room was perfect. It was comfortable, beautifully decorated, and there was a lot of careful attention to detail that made me feel right at home. It was quiet, clean, and I spent hours lounging in there! What truly sets The Blenman Inn apart, however, is the outstanding service. The staff were genuinely friendly, incredibly attentive, and provided a level of personalized care that is rare to find. They anticipated my needs and went above and beyond to ensure my stay was perfect, making me feel like a valued guest rather than just a visitor blowing through town. Absolutely a gem! This was our first experience at a Bed and Breakfast/Inn. The Blenman Inn exceeded all of our expectations. We were given an upgraded right off the go. The place is exceptionally clean and so many hidden gems. The bed was very comfortable. There are snacks and drinks available all day and a very yummy breakfast, the fresh sour dough French toast was amazing. The pool and hot tub was such a nice place to cool off. Every inch of the Inn is a part of history. The Inn keeper Amy made sure we were well taken care of. We recommend others to experience The Blenman Inn!

We had an amazing experience. The staff really goes above and beyond to make you feel at home. We stayed in the Rose room and it was beautiful and comfortable. The pool and hot tub area is super relaxing and just what we needed to beat the Tucson heat. We will definitely be back to check out the other rooms.

Cactus Cove is a unique bed and breakfast located about 30 minutes from downtown Tucson, offering an ultra-relaxing retreat. The property features a golf course, heated swimming pool, and seasonal outdoor pool. Situated on 3 acres of desert, guests can immerse themselves in the natural beauty of the Sonoran Desert. The location provides easy access to restaurants and mountains for hiking. Guests rave about the delicious gourmet breakfasts served by the host Sally each morning.
Sally is a wonderful host and truly interesting person. Everyone morning she prepared a fresh, delicious and filling breakfast that fueled us for our morning adventures. Our room was clean, comfortable and spacious. Sited on 3 acres of desert, we felt immersed in the natural beauty of the Sonora desert. The location on the edge of town at the base of the Mt. Lemmon highway provided easy access to restaurants as well as the mountains for hiking. We already miss Sally’s afternoon cookies and cupcakes. We would definitely stay again.

Cactus Cove is truly a memorable and lovely B & B. The owner, Sally, is a classy, unique, and delightful host! Everything about her property, her care, even her place settings were well-done, if not perfect! The location has a remote feel, yet it's accessible to whatever we wanted (hiking, restaurants, etc.). We cannot think of one thing we would change and will always remember our stay with her at Cactus Cove. Very grateful!

My husband and I came to Cactus Cove for our 25th anniversary. We loved the Cactus Barrel Room. We were warmly greeted when we arrived by Sally our hostess, given a lovely tour of her home. Sat us in the patio area, with refreshments and cupcakes, she gave a brief history of her life there, gave restaurant recommendations with menus and a free appetizer coupon. She gave suggestions of what to do in the area as well. Each breakfast was a gourmet experience. Sally is conscientious to providing the best possible experience for her guests. We will be going back in the future.

Clean, comfortable, oasis. Sally runs a great B&B. Attentive without being intrusive. Breakfasts are delicious and leisurely. Each room has a private entry and bathroom. Price includes all taxes and fees.

The best places to stay embody the place you are. Staying with Sally at Cactus Cove exceeds this with flying colors and we couldn’t imagine a better place to experience Tucson. The B&B’s setting with views of the Catalina Mountains and its own desert gardens, teaming with life from hummingbirds to unique cacti, have been carefully planned and cared for, making you feel like you are staying in an oasis the desert. Furthermore, we looked forward to the chance to get to know Sally over a gourmet, warm breakfast, prepared by her and Esther, served the beautiful patio each morning. Her warmth, thoughtfulness, worldly conversation, and good humor was a highlight of the trip itself. With only 3 rooms and serious procedures in place, we had no concerns about COVID while here and were able to fully enjoy our getaway. Trust us that you won’t regret your stay and will look forward for a chance to return.

Sally was an amazing host! We spent our wedding night here and she made it perfect! This place is beautiful, quiet, and relaxing. I couldn't have asked for a better way to recover after the crazy week leading up to our wedding. She had champagne, chocolates and roses waiting for us and a wonderful massage the next day!!!

This place is gorgeous! It’s close to Saguaro National Park East, Mt Lemmon and various other trails. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable, the decor is awesome. There’s an indoor tub along with an outdoor shower for those that want to enjoy the outdoors while taking a shower. The host is very accommodating and informative. Quite possibly the nicest person in Tucson! Will definitely want to come back here whenever I visit Tucson again. There’s a huge collection of succulents on the property as well!

This is one of the most special places we have ever stayed. First of all, Sally, the owner waited until we arrived on Friday to personally show us around the property, gave us water and chocolate covered strawberries which was very welcomed after our 190 mile off road drive through the back road of Mount Lemmon. She is the most elegant adorable lady we've ever met! Our room was perfect but of course all the rooms are perfect there since they only have three but they're appointed beautifully. Very quaint, very southwest style, colorful, comfortable king beds, jacuzzi tubs in each room with private outdoor patio and outdoor showers. Everything you could possibly need has been thought through with close attention to detail down to the shower gel, body lotion, shampoo and conditioner all from a famous place in Paris, France no less. We came back today from another off road adventure in Patagonia to find fresh baked oatmeal cookies in our room and a filled ice bucket along with a clean room since there is daily maid service. Oh, and each morning at 8:30AM a gourmet breakfast is lovingly served on the breathtaking veranda overlooking the mountains by Ester who has been working at the bnb for 18 years. And did i forget to mention Sally will happily be your concierge letting you know all the best places to go for dinner? Tonight we went to Vivace which was excellent. I come from a family that owned a gourmet restaurant for 30 years and got Holiday Awards year after year and I'm very picky, and this was the perfect recommendation for the evening. I can't say enough about our stay at Cactus Cove BnB! Thank you Sally & Ester for changing our whole Tucson experience! I forgot to mention that we've been to Tucson many times but never loved it here and Cactus Cove & Sally have totally changed our minds along with our new jeep we just bought 6 months ago. This will definitely be our go to place in Tucson every visit. It's a MUST!!!

San Xavier del Bac is a Spanish Colonial Catholic mission built in 1783 that is now a National Historic Landmark. This beautiful church features baroque architecture and painted artwork and it is still used for religious purposes, making it a great place to visit if you are interested in history or religion.
Just an exquisite safe haven for the heart and mind. The long rich history of the Mission is full of breathtaking artistry, attention to detail, and skilled craftsmanship. We visited on a Sunday, and the sanctuary was full, and the Sunday Mass was about to begin, so we didn't get to see the entire sanctuary (note: I am not Catholic, and don't know if there is a different word for that area of a church. I apologize!) There is also a shrine up in the hill to the right. I was up there some 30 years ago. A very peaceful, secluded place to pray or think. One of my favorite places on this planet. 🥰🥰🥰

San Xavier del Bac Mission truly lives up to its nickname, “The White Dove of the Desert.” This magnificent and spiritual Spanish Catholic mission, completed in 1797, is a stunning example of Baroque architecture and features breathtaking painted artwork throughout. The atmosphere inside the church is deeply moving. It was incredibly touching to see all the candles purchased for the sick, the dead, and for miracles. The fact that a candle, which costs just $8, will burn for an entire week is a beautiful gesture. The mission grounds are equally charming. We loved strolling through the courtyard with its beautiful fountain and browsing the quaint gift shop for unique Arizona trinkets. The food vendors outside were a great addition, offering delicious and authentic Mexican cuisine. This is a must-see for anyone in the Tucson area, whether you appreciate history, architecture, or are simply looking for a peaceful and spiritual place to visit.

The outside facade is current under renovation. This was a brief stop for me as I'm not well acquinted with the history. I assume it's similar to other missions in Texas and California. Very elaborate decorations

Amazing and beautiful! The architecture was amazing, the museum and the church still continues to serve the Tohono O’odham community! Definitely check it out when in Tucson. Also, if they do have mass, please do not enter. And bring water as well!

San Xavier del Bac Mission, built in 1797, is a stunning example of Mexican Baroque architecture. The intricate carvings, vibrant frescoes, and preserved religious relics make it a deeply spiritual and historical site. Inside, the ornate altars and centuries-old artifacts reflect the rich Catholic heritage of the region. It's both a place of worship and a must-see tourist destination near Tucson. The peaceful desert setting adds to its beauty, and guided tours offer valuable insights into its cultural and architectural significance. A true gem of Arizona history and a remarkable experience.

I've lived in Tucson for 4 years now and was my first time going since a friend was in town visiting. If you enjoy intricate detailing, great place to visit! We unfortunately went pretty late in the day so only had about an hour and a half to view everything but I definitely would have stayed longer if I could. Amazing pieces and there are video monitors in different rooms that you can choose to play that will give information while you're browsing. Highly recommend!

I had a great time here. Employees were super nice. The second you walk in you can already gaze at some really neat pieces. Fair price to get in, not bad at all. They had a great exhibit on Ray Harryhausen and how he made the monsters for the films he was involved in, really cool to see! The whole museum is fantastic, so many incredible miniatures with so much detail you'll never see it all. The halloween and especially christmas themed rooms were my favorite, the christmas village was incredible! Great museum.

The Mini Time Machine Museum is such a magical place! This museum is so often overlooked, many locals have never set foot inside. They are missing out! Here you'll find tiny, beautifully crafted historical scenes as well as whimsical and fantastic miniature creations. Small children may need a boost in certain areas, and the staff have stools readily available. The museum is clean and easy to explore, and can be gone through as quickly or slowly as you prefer. I have been several times and still find fun new details on each visit. People of any age and from anywhere around the globe can find things to marvel at here!

This museum is a fun spot to explore with kids, and they ended up happily snapping photos of whatever caught their eye. The place is cute and quirky, with lots of exhibits and a Broadway design section I liked, but it’s probably not something I’d visit again for a deep dive.

HUGE enjoyment in a MEDIUM sized museum all about TINY things. The displays are very well done - you can see and appreciate the detail. The layout of the museum was really easy to navigate and the price was reasonable. Really enjoyed the exhibit of Broadway sets - but that was a temporary exhibit. If their next temporary exhibit is half as good as this one - you will enjoy that too!

El Güero Canelo Restaurant is a family-owned chain that started as a small hot dog stand in Tucson back in 1993. Over the years, it has grown into a mini-empire with three locations, offering an authentic taste of Tucson and Sonora food culture. The restaurant is famous for its Sonora Hot Dog, featured on Food Network and known for being wrapped in mesquite-smoked bacon and topped with grilled onions, beans, mayonnaise, and jalapenos.
Very clean restaurants with a good salsa bar and tons of options that I feel are fair priced. We got the Sonoran hotdog and Carne Asada fries. Carne Asada fries needed a little bit of salt but otherwise it tasted good!

Good tasty burrito, good proportion of meat, beans, cream, guac and cream. The condiments island is well diverse. Good tasty Horchata!! You will always get returning customers if the place is clean...AAAAA+++++. There was always someone keeping eye at the condiment station and another one for the tables and floor. Respect for the cleaness! Very special detail outside at the parking lot....their very first taco stand to show how far they have come to be a staple in tucson...Nice!

I was looking to try something different while visiting Tucson and the Sonoran style hot dog at Sl Güero Canelo restaurant did not disappoint! Every bite was delicious and I will be looking for a recipe to try this myself at home. I will say that one hot dog was not super filling so if you go in with an appetite, try ordering two. The salsa verde was also very nice with a roasted flavor in the chiles. The tacos were not the best but also not the worst I’ve ever had. I will definitely come back if I’m ever in the area again.

Overall, it deserves 5 stars, but the meat has too much nerve in it. I think they should choose their meat more delicately and chop it more delicately.

Nestled in the heart of Tucson's historic El Presidio district, the Tucson Museum of Art is a vibrant cultural hub that has been captivating art enthusiasts since its inception in 1924. Originally founded as the Tucson Fine Arts Association, it found its home in the charming Kingan House and was later renamed to reflect its commitment to education and exhibition.
Reciprocal museum membership partner. Wonderful collection of precolumbian art. Lots of Spanish colonial work. Some of the contemporary art is amazing -- some is not, but that's the nature of contemporary art. Check out the attached/adjacent buildings on campus. Highly worth a two hour stop on your trip thru the Tucson area.

This is a small but darling art museum, with a few notable classic pieces (a Mary Cassatt!) plus more contemporary art - photography, abstractions, Native American exhibits. A really lovely museum that’s definitely worth a visit.

The Momentos exhibit was really nice, but I found myself taking more pics of the downstairs exhibits since they fit my taste more. The little guide with conversation cards was a fun touch and made us think more about the art. It’s a great spot for a date night, has an awesome gift shop, and is a cool, relaxing place to enjoy art during the summer.

I had a great time at this summer event and found it very enjoyable. I recommend it as a refreshing escape from the heat and a chance to meet new people.

Beautiful little museum that contains many varieties of art and art forms. It is laid out in a wide spiral staircase, with each floor displaying different art forms. When you enter, they give you a little map and suggestions for best routes to follow. But you really don't need that as you get the hang of it pretty quickly. A very modern, clean building that is user-friendly. We did the entire museum in about 2 hours or so. Recommended

The Presidio San Agustín del Tucson Museum is a reconstruction of an 18th-century Spanish fortress, marking the birthplace of Tucson. It offers displays on the city's early history and serves as one of the most interesting parts of Tucson's past. The fort was built to protect Spanish settlers from Apache Indian attacks and was the largest in a series of forts constructed in the Southwest during that era.
We did a mural walking tour, and it was great. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly, and you could tell how much she loves and appreciates the art, the artists, and the city. The tour would be great regardless, but that personal passion really makes a difference.

Disappointing…closed an hour and half earlier than Google stated. Summer hours from my understanding is 9a-2:30p (at least on Sunday). Interesting details shared around the Presidio. All shared pics are from the outside. No access to the museum.

Great experience!! The place was clean and in great condition! The person that gave us the tour knows his history! He showed us around the whole place and explained everything to the T! We learned so much and my kids enjoyed putting on some costumes for pictures! Great way to spend a Saturday with the fam!

Started the Turquoise Trail self-guided tour from the Presidio. Easy to follow and an easy walk. Lots to see and places to check out. The Presidio was a nice little museum. Unfortunately, I arrived before the museum opened so couldn’t get the paper map until I finished. But the painted turquoise line on the sidewalk made it simple enough to follow. I’ll have to do it again to see what the numbered stops were.

Decent little museum with an eclectic collection of displays and items. Most of the displays are about a dressmaker and her daughters that originally occupied the building. Other displays relate to Hohokam and O'odham culture. Unfortunately the exhibits are not very well organized and the museum needs an organizing theme. Our experience might have been better with a docent. The one volunteer apologized for not being able to answer our questions due to being needed by another group. There was no information about scheduled tours.

My friend and I attended the 2-hour walking downtown Mural tour. Dorothy Yanez, our guide is fabulous! The menu, entirely vegan and organic, features a variety of traditional Mexican flavors incorporated into plant-based tacos, enchiladas, tamales, and burritos made from fresh seasonal ingredients. Even non-vegan diners have raved about the Cuban jackfruit carnitas tacos and Ropa Vieja Plate.
10/10 experience. Immediately greeted by Miranda, who has an exceptional attitude and smile. The food came out within five minutes which is wild considering it was made to order, and it was delicious. It felt good to be there and enjoy the food. Definitely will be returning!

My beautiful friend and I thoroughly enjoyed a wonderful, fresh and delicious lunch earlier today. We both loved our Ropa Vieja plates paired with our iced Prickly Pear lattes, as well as chips and salsa. Fernando, Wendy & the entire staff are incredibly generous, exceptional, warm, attentive and inviting. The decor was wonderful as well and the products and salsa bar are well maintained and look so tasty. We look forwarding to returning in the near future.

The food was great, but my biggest complaint was on their special that featured cactus as apart of the main dish. Super enticing, so I said why not. First impressions when the dish was brought out, was that I should have bought two... I knew it wasn't going to fill me up. And go figure, it was $17 for the main course alone. I also bought chips and salsa which you can't typically mess up, but the salsa was like water, and the chips were way to thick and oily to scoop up the salsa. I felt like I was trying to eat soup with a fork. The dessert was perfect, no complaints there, but the main dish needed to be more full, and they need to add some viscosity to their water salsa. Flavor-wise, delicious. The paprika was a stout seasoning, and made the flavor a solid 10. The flavor of the salsa was mild, but greatly enhanced when you added salt, but the chips were too thick like crackers, and very oily. Id love to give it a round two and see if I have a better experience next time. The dishes customers had around me looked much fuller than mine. I was able to eat 100% of everything but still didn't feel full. (Forgot to take a picture of the main dish, sorry)

Tumerico – Tucson’s Vegan Gem (5/5 Stars) Tumerico is hands-down my favorite restaurant in all of Tucson, and I’m not exaggerating when I say it’s a must-visit. Owner Wendy is incredibly warm and friendly, and her entire staff follows suit—always helpful, attentive, and eager to make your experience perfect. What sets Tumerico apart is its vegan menu that never feels limited. The daily-changing specials keep things exciting, featuring fresh, seasonal ingredients that burst with flavor. The in-house salsa bar is a highlight—each salsa is vibrant, perfectly balanced, and made with ingredients at their peak. The food is simply out-of-this-world delicious. Every dish is thoughtful, creative, and satisfying in a way that even non-vegans rave about. But it’s not just the food—Wendy has crafted an inviting, joyful atmosphere that makes you feel right at home from the moment you walk in. If you’re in Tucson, do yourself a favor and go to Tumerico. You’ll leave happy, full, and already planning your next visit.

Everyone is always so friendly and there isn’t a wrong choice on the menu! The serving sizes are amazing and the drinks are always fresh/high quality. I recommend trying their specials, they’re always 10/10!

This restaurant is the best vegan Mexican food I have ever had. I loved that it wasn’t greasy and fried. We were welcomed immediately into the space and the menu was explained to us. I wish we could have this type of food in Minnesota! We ordered the nachos and tostadas. We also got the turmeric lemonade. It was delicious! When we got home I went onto the website and watched the interview about the chef and owner. It was so inspiring and beautiful. Congratulations on all of your hard work. It really shows!

Tumerico has been voted the #1 vegan restaurant in the U.S.—and after eating here, wow, we completely understand why! From the moment we walked in, the energy was warm, vibrant, and welcoming. Every dish that came out of the kitchen felt like it was made with love and creativity. We ordered the Sonoran Barbacoa, Machaca Plate, Posole Soup, a Sampler Plate with Al Pastor & Cuban Tacos and a Frida Kahlo Tostada. We also tried the and the Mesquite Mole Enchiladas. Each plate was bursting with bold, fresh flavors and beautiful presentation and came with a side salad, fresh guacamole, beans and Cilantro Rice. All were FANTASTIC and over the top DELICIOUS!! To sip, we tried the Elderberry Lemonade and Creosote Lemonade—both refreshing, unique, and the perfect complement to the meal. The flavors are bold, fresh, and rooted in local inspiration. You won’t find cookie-cutter vegan here—every plate is inventive and scratch-made. There was plenty of seating and the walls were decorated with local art and murals! Tumerico’s story is as inspiring as its menu—it all started with the owner selling her beloved vegan tamales out of a cooler, and today the restaurant has grown into a national destination. Portions are generous, the atmosphere is lively, and the staff clearly care about making your experience memorable. Whether you’re vegan or not, this is the kind of food that makes you excited to eat plant-based. Tumerico is a Tucson treasure and absolutely worth the hype. We’ll definitely be back!

This restaurant has a serious reputation now...it's not cheap, but it's a good treat for yourself. You deserve it! You order, pay, and take a number to your table of choice. You'll find a collection of clean forks on the table. There's a self service salsa bar and ice water is also nearby the salsa. Don't miss out on the house speciality beverage. The prickly pear latte. You won't get one of these in Chicago or Minneapolis. This restaurant has been voted the best restaurant in the US 2x in a row. Both 2023&2024. Will they continue to be queen of the yelpers? Only time will tell. At the end of the meal you bus your own table. Im hoping to meet the owner in person one of these visits. Her passion for her roots, her culture, and her ability to provide good healthy vegan and vegetarian food that tastes magnificent, are inspirational. If I have not mentioned it yet, no meat at this location carnivores! But across town there is another place owned by Wendy Garcia, LA chaiteria a place with both meat and vegetarian options.

I got a loaf of heritage and another of the cranberry walnut. Both were excellent. Almost 4 lbs of bread. 👍 I certainly recommend you check this place out.

I am a baker who continues to experiment to improve my bread, we came to Barrio Bread whole visiting Tucson. We took several loaves, they are all very tasty, great crust and the inside crumb is second to none. Simply amazing where you can tell the dedication and pursuit for excellence.

This is the best bread this side of the Mississippi, yes, you read that correctly, it's the absolute best! We moved to the area 6 months ago and tried all the bakeries in the wrea, and now we go out of our way for Barrio Bread. Our favorite breads are the Jalapeno Cheddar, Cinnamon Raisin, Pain Au Levain, and Heritage. The owner, Don Guerra, is always there, he is so nice, and seems so happy to share his passion for bread. There is usually a line, but totally worth the wait. Must enjoy!

I finally got my bread. I've been trying to get some every time I am in Tucson and the line was always so long. I got there and was only like 8th in line. It was still worth it. Whole wheat was delicious.

I'm not a bread connoisseur, but Barrio Bread is the real deal. I've tried several of the breads, and fuccachia's and everything is as fresh and tasty as can be. I. Wish I get there one time when they make pizza once a month, I can't wait to try that.

Don is the most beloved bread baker in the desert southwest. I started going to the bakery when they opened in November of 2016. Love the bread as well as the people behind the counters who are always very pleasant. Plus the loaves are all made with love. Barrio Bread rocks!

Wow—someone recommended them when my sourdough starter died during a winter heat wave. I went to get starter and I couldn’t resist their gorgeous breads! Absolutely fantastic assortment of artisanal breads and very reasonable prices. You can order bread in advance (see their website) or buy at the counter. There was a little wait but absolutely worth it! I wish I had known about them years ago.

Being from Germany, bread plays an important role for me. This bakery is the best I have visited in the US! We bought 6 different loaves and thwy all taste fantastic...European Rye or Olive Fougasse, absolutely amazing. Staff were knowledgeable and super friendly. I will be back.

Pizza restaurant
Located in Tucson's Warehouse Arts District, ANELLO is a cozy restaurant with a minimalist-chic decor that offers wood-fired, sourdough-crust pizzas. Chef-owner Scott Girod, who trained under Chris Bianco at Pizzeria Bianco and spent time as a pizzaiolo in Italy, brings his expertise to create Neapolitan-style pizzas using naturally leavened dough fermented over 30 hours and wood-fired with mesquite wood for a charred finish.
ANELLO was great. The space is very small but cozy. There’s no true sign so look for the red light. You should make a reservation however they have a good deal with Crooked Teeth(a bar next door) where you can get it delivered to eat there. The pizza was wonderful if lacking a little undercarriage. The parsley purée on the Verde was awesome. Sourdough pizza is always nice.

This restaurant came recommended by a fellow pizza connoisseur and it was nothing short of a fine dining experience. The location is fairly unmarked outside and once you step inside it feels like a little slice of modern minimalist Europe right in Tucson. We ordered one of everything from from “Bites” menu, 3 pizzas and the blue corn lemon tart. All the dough here is sour dough and baked in a wood burning oven, which gives it a unique soft, chewy, pillowy yet crunchy texture. Flat bread had this sweet chili sauce poured on it which was the most amazing pairing. All the food was presented with great detail and remarkable. Lemon tart was worth finishing with as well.
Sylwia G — Google review
Amazing Pizza, so far the best I tasted in town! Very creative toppings at a good price. Really enjoyed the starters as well. Only the flatbread starter could have had a bit more savory flavors. The restaurant is designed very minimalist, quite unique for Tucson. Though it can get a bit loud inside.

God tier. Best in Tucson. If you haven't been here...what are you doing with your life? Crafted rotating menu of immaculate vegetables (mole carrots today), spectacular salads (cantaloupe chevre toasted almonds). Perfect pizza. Please just go here if you haven't already.

Please don't change a thing! Proper Italian pizza with the option to dust it with chiltepin pepper that you crush yourself, amazing and often changing salad and vegetable specials, solid wine options. When in Tucson, don't miss out on this place!

Favorite pizza in the city! Love the bianco pie with the sausage or pepperoni on top. I love this spot, quick service with a quaint space that is intimate, delicious, and has a great aesthetic. The food is great, the servers are humble, the chefs are outstanding at what they do. I never was a huge pizza man, but whenever pizza comes to mind, Anello is top of mind for recommendation! Just brought some friends from Mexico and they were blown away. Love this spot

Stepping in here felt like I walked onto the set of The Bear the energy, the vibe, all on point. The Bianca was a flavor hug: pillowy dough with just the right bite, topped off with extra chiltepins for that sneaky, lingering heat. Already planning my next visit.

One of our favorite places to eat in Tucson. Cannot recommend this restaurant enough. The pizza is delicious. The ever changing salad and vegetable are always creative and tasty. We love the verde pizza and are always excited to see what the market special is! The service is always phenomenal. Friendly and personable. Also the staff is great but we love Crockett! He always remembers us and goes the extra mile.

I love staying here! The staff members are always friendly and go above and beyond. The rooms are clean and the water pressure is comfortable. The pool is heated and the hot tub is a great soak. They even have gluten-free, allergen-free cookies they give you! We will always come back. Thanks so much for a wonderful stay.

We travel for work and had been staying for a week in Tucson for over a year. We finally stumbled on this place and ended up coming for many months. First off the most hospitable hotel manager is George. He’s the night manager and made sure that we were well taken care of month after month. Besides the service he’s a genuine, kind, and compassionate human. Every night we would come home from work and look forward to a conversation with him. Double Tree is blessed to have such a person working with them. His hospitality is the reason why we kept coming back month after month. Amenities are great. We preferred the Tower rooms which are more modern, the outdoor terraced rooms are quaint and quiet. There is an excellent selection of mandarins growing outside when in season! The gym is perfect for our purposes. The pool is small. There is a hot tub too. The snack bar and alcohol coolers are open 24/7 which was super convenient for our irregular work schedules. Overall, if I was to continue working in Tucson, this would be my hotel of choice.

Check in was quick. Room was quiet and very clean. Everyone was so nice and polite. My only gripe would be breakfast. The quality wasn't so great. Eggs were sitting for way too long and maybe have a sugar free syrup option. Other than that it was good. Oh ya and the jacuzzi was empty. Overall I was highly impressed with my stay. Even the beds were comfy

We had a wonderful stay at the DoubleTree by Hilton – Reid Park in Tucson for my husband's 50th High School Reunion (Sunnyside High School)! Alex at the front desk was exceptionally friendly, informative, and welcoming, which made check-in a breeze — and the iconic warm cookies at check-in were absolutely delicious. Our rooms were spotless, comfortable, and well-maintained, and both the Cantina and the ballroom dinner provided excellent food. The hotel was pleasantly quiet, and the beds were very comfortable — perfect for a memorable weekend. Public areas (streets, trash, unhoused residents, etc) could use attention from the City of Tucson -- but hotel portion was good.
Carla R — Google review
Close to my home so that was nice. Went to a school reunion and was hesitant to go. By the time I got there it was already packed. There was a table of memories, water and tea available. Dinner was available for $50 a plate! Pasta, lettuce (salad), bread, onion salad, half cut sausage and plain cheesecake. The focus was on those that had passed, getting not so good photos, elementary, middle school photos. A lot of same pictures of the "click groups". Most people had a lanyard with their graduation picture on there. Those were nice cuz otherwise you might not recognize a fellow student. Fortunately for me, my childhood best friend was there. She went to ask if I could get my lanyard but for some reason one of the coordinators was shouting and being verbally ugly. When I went over she said I needed to PAY $20 to be there. I said no and left. She was unprofessional and when my friend called me, this person got on the phone and gave me an insincere apology as in her tone and words, I forgave her, and ended the conversation. I didn't want to lower my standards to hers even I was thoroughly pissed. Lots of parking 😆 nice lobby and outdoor dining.

The hotel grounds and main lobby area were very nice. But the rooms were awful! Our first room the air conditioning didn't work and it had massive cockroachs in it. The staff was friendly and moved us to another room. But like the first one it had issues. The shower didn't work right and only had extremely hot water. No cold water at all. So we were unable to take a shower that night. The AC barely worked so the room was hot. The room was extremely dated as well. Not a good quality for the money you pay.
Brad S — Google review
Great hotel with friendly staff, two restaurants, and a great pool and outdoor area. The gym is really nice with lots of free weights and cardio equipment. I've been staying here often recently for business and have really enjoyed my stays.
Craig F — Google review
Honestly not to bad of a hotel. Biggest thing is the damn ac units don’t work in any of the rooms. Everyone there was complaining about how hot the rooms were. Our room was super muggy and hot. They did send someone to look at it but didn’t help. Also the bath tub was plugged. They also sent up a box fan. They tried, but rooms were too toasty for us.

OK, just wanna give kudos to some of the team even though all of the team were excellent! Upon check-in, Roberta took great care of us and though we had to wait a little bit for our room, she was super friendly, helpful, and great representative of the hotel. Prior to actually receiving our room, we also connected with Sara who teamed up with Roberta and was also awesome and instrumental in helping us get into the room not to mention I saw her multiple times at the coffee bar and around the hotel, just ensuring overall guest satisfaction. On day of checkout upon confirming and requesting additional time, we connected with Courtney. He was also equally great and not the typical stereotypes night audit person. He was super and helped us out as well. Upon returning home to Phoenix, we discovered my son could not find his wallet. So we called the hotel and Isabel? Was tremendously caring and helpful. She said she would check the room check housekeeping and get back to us within a few hours. She did exactly that and returned the call as promised. So in this review, I definitely wanna make sure Roberta, Courtney, Sarah, and Isabel are all recognized as stellar. Thank you.

I have to admit this was probably one of the worst Marriott locations I've been to. The room decor was nice but the floors reallllly need a deep clean. I spilled some water on the floor the first night I got there and the wipe came up very dirty. The bathroom light was constantly flickering and one of the bed lights didn't work at all. The worst part of the stay is the noise coming from the alleyway, many students out late and loud bars that echo through the room every single night. Others I stayed with said having a room on the other side of the hotel was much quieter so if you do decide to stay here I would not recommend the floors above the front doorway that face the alley. The conference rooms are basic and the conference lunches were good, however lacked some diversity (3 of the 4 lunches were chicken) and had a bit odd combinations at times. The breakfast and snacks and drinks were fabulous though! In terms of being able to sleep at night I give it a bad rating for location however it was right next to the university if that is what you're looking for. The staff and service were fabulous along with the workout room and free laundry and plenty of space in the lobby. Overall I'm not impressed by this hotel, and it especially didn't live up to the normal Marriott standards, but is a much better option compared to other hotels in the area.

This was a unique Marriott as in their design of the building. The Room I had was nice and the layout was great. I only have two complaints. One is the Parking, $20 a day or $25 a day for Valet. The second was that I couldn't hook up the Xbox for my entertainment, Streaming shows and of course my Dailies. The Staff was awesome. Everything was clean and welcoming.

This was my first time staying at the Marriott in Tucson, and what a great experience! The rooms were excellent, and the customer service was exceptional—especially from two employees in particular. Rio, the manager, went above and beyond when I asked to switch to a room with a better view. His professionalism and attention to detail truly stood out. Julia, the server, was incredibly attentive and kind, making my stay even more enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel when you visit Tucson!

I just want to give a big shoutout and thank you to Justin who took my call this morning. I inadvertently booked the wrong type of room and was double charged for it, I called the front desk and Justin took my call and he was absolutely fabulous. This was a work trip, so I did not want to try and explain that to my job, but Justin took that away and fixed the issue without any problems at all. Thank you so much for the extraordinary service, because of you this will always be my hotel moving forward when visiting Tucson. Thank you! Chris Titanium Elite Member

Excellent, conveniently located Tucson hotel. We stayed 3 nights in a Suite with a Kitchenette, including a full-size refrigerator. We were able to check in early (1:00 PM, thanks to Front Desk staff "Janet") since our room was ready and our request for a room on a high floor away from the freeway was honored. The 2 TVs were both high-definition, the bed & pillows were very comfortable, breakfasts were tasty (breakfast staff "Cindy" was very friendly & helpful) and the hotel's General Manager, Christopher Leon, was exceptionally friendly. This hotel is very well-maintained, with free parking. We will stay at this hotel whenever we are in Tucson. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Stayed from 8/5 to 8/7. Convenient location for the area. Staff was top notch and checked in to see how the stay was going and if we needed anything. It was pristine clean. Not one grumpy staff member. The included breakfast was great as well. Coffee, tea, hot cocoa, eggs, sausage, waffles and cereal. It was located close to the medical facility I needed to go to. We had the suite with the kitchenette which was awesome. We live in a remote area of NM with little shopping available so we shopped and the refrigerator/freezer came in really handy until we transferred to coolers for the ride home. Very nicely appointed and although we did not get to enjoy the pool or spa, it looked lovely. I have to return to Tucson for diagnostic stuff at Banner and I will most definitely book here again. Two opposable thumbs up!

On our 22-day road trip we loved this location the best because of the wonderful and friendly service oriented staff. General Manager Chris Leon and his team were the nicest and most accommodating and helpful people we met on our journey. Everyone there wanted to be there and worked together like family, it was wonderful to see. The property is clean and very well maintained; meticulous attention given to the parking lot, entrance, common areas, and the rooms. Everyone there were friendly, engaging and professional. The staff also let us use the breakfast area to have a gender reveal family gathering in the evening. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

Room was clean and standard. Breakfast was good. Bring earplugs. Even with earplugs I did not get a good night's sleep, unfortunately, and before another long day of driving. It's not just the highway, but there is a very noisy AC unit, stomping heard clearly from room above, and someone doing burnouts outside at 2 AM. There's not much of a relief area for pets, but what is available is a small dirt patch in the secluded area behind the hotel where there's no visible security camera. Doesn't feel comfortable at night for the solo female traveler.

We had a great stay at Country Inn & Suites! Our room was very spacious and we loved having a full-size fridge and separate living room area — it felt more like a small apartment than a hotel room. The bed was super comfy, and the hotel itself was quiet, which made for a really relaxing stay. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the breakfast was good with plenty of options.

I actually really like this hotel. It’s a really good hotel, especially for the price! Only reason I am not giving it 5 stars is because of the security they have working at night time. Every time I’ve gone here he HARASSES me to a frightening degree. I have never done anything to this man yet any time he sees me, he follows me, accuses me of doing things I’m not, flashes his flashlight in my face when I’m driving through the parking lot, etc but where I finally drew the line and stopped going here is when he literally stuck a knife in my tire of my car!! Literally slashed my tire! Then told me I deserved it. Which was MIND BLOWING because like I said, I have never done anything wrong to this man. I genuinely have no idea why he hates me so much and goes out of his way to harass me, bully me, and destroy my property.. isn’t that the opposite of what he’s supposed to be doing? I have never experienced anything like this. I am sweet and kind to people. It’s honestly the craziest thing..

The DoubleTree by Hilton Tucson Downtown Convention Center is a hotel located close to the Tucson Convention Center and other attractions. It offers comfortable accommodations, free Wi-Fi, parking and shuttle service.
Our recent stay at the DoubleTree Tucson Convention Center was quite enjoyable! Having experienced a mix bag of accommodations at DoubleTree hotels in the past, we were pleasantly surprised by the exceptional quality and service at this location. First and foremost, the hotel boasts a great location just a stone's throw away from downtown Tucson, making it incredibly convenient for exploring the area. We felt safe and secure throughout our stay, which added to our overall comfort. The amenities at DoubleTree Tucson are impressive. The bar and restaurant offered a delightful selection of food and drinks, and the coffee stand was a perfect pick-me-up for our mornings. We particularly enjoyed the open, lovely spaces throughout the hotel, which created a welcoming atmosphere. Our room was well-appointed and spacious, making our stay even more enjoyable. We were fortunate enough to have a room with gym equipment, which is a cool feature for those who prioritize fitness while traveling. The first-class gym and pool area further complemented our desire to stay active during our trip. Additionally, the lovely outdoor spaces provided a tranquil setting for relaxation. The lobby is bright and airy, making a great first impression as we entered the hotel. Parking was close and secure, which was a significant convenience. The staff were friendly and welcoming, ensuring we felt right at home from the moment we arrived. Overall, this DoubleTree is a great hotel choice when attending a conference at the conventions center steps away.m. We had a fun time during our stay and would definitely recommend it!

Hotel was nice with a great room and pool. However, rating it one star for the incredibly poor service. We had a 3 night reservation, however our flights we're delayed coming in and we ended up at the airport over night for what would have been the first night. They cancelled the entire reservation by 7am the following morning (when our flights finally got in) and gave us all cancellation charge and said it was impossible to reinstate the original reservation. Incredibly frustrating to deal with after an all nighter at the airport.

I wish I had the names of the incredible staff who helped me this morning, but I hope this message still finds its way to them. My husband is staying at the hotel for work, away from home and his family, so I wanted to do something special to brighten his day. I called the hotel and spoke with a gentleman at the front desk who was so kind and genuinely happy to help. I explained what I was hoping to do, and he took the time to create a card with my name on it and arranged for champagne and chocolate-covered strawberries to be sent to my husband’s room. Not only that, but the staff in the kitchen and bar who delivered everything were also incredibly friendly. My husband said they made him feel so appreciated and welcomed. It really meant a lot to both of us. If he couldn’t be home, I’m so grateful he was surrounded by such thoughtful, compassionate people. Thank you to everyone at DoubleTree Hilton for going above and beyond—you truly made our day.

This place has EXCELLENT coffee. This is my place for coffee. I get a dirty chai and it is just, it makes everything better. I am not sure how else to put it. It is chilly in the mornings and it feels like I am allowed to start my day because of this coffee. I love the building. The staff is wonderful. The pastries are so good. THEY HAVE COWBOY COOKIES. The atmosphere here is great. One of the coolest coffee shops in Tucson, and Arizona. Coffee is good and the oatmilk golden milk is great. Sat indoors in the low chairs and they are very comfortable if you are working, writing or just reading a book. Definitely coming back here. It seems that they have many regulars and they make lots of drinks. Good sense of community and wholesome attention.

This is a great locally-owned business! The prices are the best I've seen in Tucson. And the coffee is EXCELLENT! I strongly suggest the cortado, as it is made perfectly! There is an option for oat or almond milk. There are excellent homemade pastries as well. Some are gluten-free and some are not. I had the warm flaky soft croissants. The vibe is relaxed and friendly. The staff are kind and welcoming!

I found this café while searching for the best coffee shops in Tucson and decided to visit for the first time. I ordered an Americano and an iced coffee. The iced coffee had a slight acidity—personally, I think I’d enjoy it more if it were a bit stronger so the coffee flavor could shine through. The Americano had no noticeable acidity and was smooth and easy to drink on its own. The shop doesn’t have many seats inside, but it has a lovely atmosphere. Once the weather cools down, I’d love to come back and enjoy a coffee outside.

LOVE the industrial look to the space. Brick, mental, wood, with some bomb coffee is such a win. My go to is a iced latte with honey and a bit of cinnamon. The coffee is strong and delicious, just like the work sessions I get done there.

There's been a definite vibe shift. The baristas used to know my name, drink order, be happy to see my dog/me, but the vibes are just weird now and it feels different in there. I also don't know if the roaster changed too, but the coffee tasted burnt. Aspen is still there though and they've consistently been a bright spirit here, so I'm thankful for that!

This has been my favorite coffee spot in Tucson for many years because of the quality of the coffee and the chill atmosphere. I am extremely disappointed that the new owners have treated the staff poorly enough to prompt a near total turnover of employees. The people make the place. Also, though, I'm concerned about the quality of the roast falling by the wayside. Going to find a new place to sit with my latte and do the crossword.

In the context of an affordable room in close proximity to the concert venue for which were there, this place checked all the boxes. If you want the Sheraton or the Ritz, go there. This is a beautifully simple place but has obviously been updated across the board. The place is covered in solar panels! Great investment and says something about the commitment the owners have to staying viable for a long, long time! The room decor was surprisingly modern and funky! And SUPER CLEAN! We talked about it as we drove away: what could we point to to withhold a ‘fifth star’? There was even free EV charging in three parking spots! Nice surprise that allowed us to get on our way first thing in the morning. Check out Bumstead’s across the street for breakfast! Great food and service (thanks Carolina!!).

SCARY! We arrived to find individuals in the parking lot engaged in using drugs. We went into the lobby and were hit with a horrible smell of mold and cigarettes. Once in the room, you could see that they tried to update. It was painted cute, but the smell of mold was in EVERYTHING. The floors were sticky, and the smell was overwhelming. I told the front desk about the smell and they informed me that homeless people camp in the corner of the parking lot and smoke so the rooms smell. They also walk past the rooms at all hours of the night. While walking back to our room there was a violent police confrontation in the abandoned lot across the street. We were booked for two nights but could not stay. We checked out and asked for a partial refund for our second night, which we were denied. DO NOT GO TO THIS HOTEL. VERY UNSAFE, VERY SMELLY.

Excellent hotel including having Tesla chargers on site! Staff was very helpful and prompt with service. Room was incredibly spacious and well worth the price. Multiple restaurants nearby for food options. Great value, highly recommend.
Travis H — Google review
The only problem we had was that even though we booked this room with Booking.com. My husband was asked to put 100. Deposit hold on the room with the room rate. We had never heard of that. The room was very modern and very clean. We were a little apprehensive when we pulled up, but it turned out to be a delight. They did reimburse us a day after we left, so that was awesome, just strange. All in all, we would go back. There is an EeeGee's, Starbucks, and a Hot Pot right around the road on Speedway.
Melody — Google review
Excellent place to stay. I'm surprised with the room, the service and the place. I read some review before telling that, there are homeless people around and it's dangerous at night. That's totally NOT TRUE. This place is at the safer side of Tucson. There is a park beside and we have families coming to that park. The whole area is safe and sound. The rooms are a big surprise. They are big, the bed is huge and comfortable. It's quiet and cozy at night. I slept well after a long flight from Malaysia. The Hotel is so accommodative and friendly. My baggage got lost in the transit and when the airline sent it to me, I had already checked out from the hotel. The owner kept it safe for me. A lot of eatery nearby and extremely convenient to move around from here.

Two adults and three kids, rooms are simple, it was nice to have the family room with a separate bedroom for us parents. Pool small and unheated but still nice in the heat. Good central location, close to downtown restaurants and 20 minutes east or west to Sonoran desert parks.
Don G — Google review
This hotel is somewhat rundown and directly next to a park that is occupied by a fairly large homeless population. The pool is small, unshaded and directly in the parking lot next to the park and homeless community, making it completely unusable. The manager of the hotel explained to us that many of the high ratings of the hotel come from people who he offered low rates to for longer stays, and then asked to write reviews as if they stayed for a shorter period. No one looking for a place to stay for a short period, and certainly not with children for safety reasons, should consider this hotel. The manager offered to reimburse us after we complained, but then stopped answering all emails and phone calls once we departed. UPDATE: I appreciate the hotel's lengthy and thoughtful response, but it is in part deceptive and dishonest. We did not stay at the hotel overnight, we decided to leave after the manager gave us his word he would refund us for our reservation. No one from the hotel ever responded to our follow ups when we did not receive the refund. We are still waiting for the refund to come through. In addition, the manager became very agitated and angry when we mentioned the homeless community in the park, stating he would "pay 10,000 dollars" to anyone who was threatened by them while at the hotel. Instead of accepting this risk despite the generous offer of compensation, we decided not to stay at the hotel.

Nice, clean, quiet, recently updated motel conveniently located to almost everything a visitor to Tucson would most like to visit. Has a small pool onsite. Room was clean and quiet, nicely updated bathroom with a wonderful soaking shower. Beds were very comfortable with nice linens, although I felt like they were a bit short-sheeted. Came appointed with a nice large TV, microwave, coffeemaker, mini fridge, iron and board. Bath soap, lotion and shampoo by Beekman 1802. Standard continental breakfast fare, cereal, bagels, toast, yogurt, juice, milk, coffee. Would definitely stay here again if my travels bring me back to Tucson.

Sweetwater Preserve Trailhead is the gateway to an 880-acre preserve in the eastern foothills of the Tucson Mountains. It's a haven for Sonoran desert wildlife and offers various activities such as hiking, horseback riding, mountain biking, and trail running. Leashed dogs are welcome here. The area is filled with towering saguaro cacti and is located near Saguaro National Park and the University of Arizona's biological research preserve.
Excellent and well-maintained bike trails Great for hiking, walking, and getting your dog out. Breathtaking views! And lots of friendly people!👍🏻
Danny S — Google review
Quiet little spot perfect for hiking or biking and very much on a par with nearby Saguaro National Park, but without the fees. Plenty of parking and fewer crowds than the nearby more popular parks. A wide variety of cactii, plants, animals, etc. to see. On my first visit I even caught a glimpse of a roadrunner.
Michael L — Google review
Great variety of trails to choose from to run, ride or walk. There is a large parking lot, easy to get in and out of with larger vehicles. The porta potty was dangerously full when I visited but the rest of the park was well maintained and the signage was clear. There are a few benches near the trailhead with shade trees. Beautiful dessert views throughout, plenty of cactus and other natural vegetation too. Great for dogs. I'll definitely return soon to explore more.
Michelle “ — Google review
Well-marked trails and great views. Came here for a sunset hike. Trail was not too crowded. Chose to do the wildflower ridge trail and a part of the desperado loop before it got too dark.
Allison L — Google review
Great place to go for a hike and an even better place to take your bike for some good trail riding. The trail is very clean and there are sugauros riding each side of it making it feel as if you're walking through a gate.
Ethan O — Google review
Great trail system. The main loop (Desperado) gives you the option to go and explore small lines all around. We brought our mountain bikes to check things out and had a blast. The difficulty and climb of the trails is beginner-intermediate but they flow nicely so even experienced riders will enjoy. This a common spot for dog walkers and horse riding but if you yield and announce yourself there is absolutely no problem with that. Make sure to bring water as there was no visible water source around the trail system.
Sebastian V — Google review
One of the best free activities to do in Tucson is to hike. This park is great, and I even saw a huge crested saguaro with arms! There's a decent amount of elevation during the hike so you'll get great views of the city and landscape.
Carl W — Google review
Beleive it or not... there are rocks on this trail. I went there to mtb while passing through on my vacation. These trails were well maintained and provided a fun ride even during the steady rain in July. I never rode in Arizona before and wasn't sure what to expect. There is a lot of rock gardens, challenging sections as well as fast flowing sections. Lots of beautiful scenery which the trails did a good job of working around without disrupting the natural habitat. The trails were marked but I did get a little confused while navigating my way around. I ride a Trek Stache 8 hardtail and consider myself an above average rider and had no problems at all. I did have to walk my bike a few times due to not being prepared for the obstacle. Overall a great trail system and fun for all skill levels. There are NO bathrooms in parking lot.

Sabino Canyon is a stunning desert canyon located in the Santa Catalina Mountains, offering visitors a tram service to explore its beauty. The area is also home to the Saguaro National Park and the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum, showcasing diverse desert vegetation. Visitors can stroll along paved paths to admire tall saguaro cacti and a flowing creek, especially beautiful in spring after the monsoon season.
Visitors center has the usual things that Nat’l parks have. Very informative. If you want to take the tram up to the top( 3.7 mi.) you need to get there early and go directly to pick what time you want to goand it costs 15.00 for everyone, no matter what age. The women’s bathroom needs improvement. Run down, some faucets dont work, hand dryer did not work, no soap. But they did have tp! 😊 The toilets werent dirty. Some of the bathroom doors did not close or lock. 😩 By the visitors center they have a table set up with a Javelina hide, fox hide and several animal skulls- that was cool. The visitors center has a few interesting pictures, illustrations and replicas of the Mountain. Dont skip that. They have vending machines, but no resturant or snack bar. I didnt go in there so I dont know what kinds of snacks were there. Im old so I took the ride up. Walked a few trails, then walked down on my own. Bring a frozen water bottle and cold water. Some snacks, or picnic lunch youll appreciate if youre there for 5 hours like me. Day pack is what I used. Dont forget a sun hat, sunglasses and comfortable closed toe shoes. Hand sani and sunscreen are my necessities.
Karen T — Google review
The beginning of the trail is very nice, but after that it is mostly just rocky hills. The Gate Pass and the Finger Rock Trail are way nicer, but those don't have a road and are not as easy, but still not hard. This is good for runners and cyclists.
Victor — Google review
A lovely way to spend an afternoon! Very accessible, decent and sufficient parking (may be worth getting there early to ensure this) and great trails! Also to note - make sure you get a park pass to park without a fine. The shuttle bus runs all day and easy to hop on and on
Adam P — Google review
Such a beautiful canyon to visit! There are many trails and walks that you can take, there’s a bus that will also drop you off and pick you up along the canyon road too. The scenery is stunning and there’s plenty of wildlife and flora and fauna too. We saw a rattle snake on the road so do be careful where you go walking. Take plenty of water on super hot days too. We cooled off in the canyon streams which are great to paddle or swim in. Highly recommend.
The T — Google review
Great Views! We got off on the way down and walked the last two miles. Be careful if you're not used to the heat.
Brent F — Google review
Walk on a paved path that leads you to a breath taking view of a cannon filled with tall saguaro cactus, with a live flowing creek. Best to visit in the spring when weather is tolerable and the end of monsoons have contributed to watering the desert plants and trees to burst into bright colors. Recommended to stay on designated paved paths. Poor cell phone service. Limited parking.
G. C — Google review
Sabino Canyon has some easy hikes to enjoy the saguaros and the desert. The trail to Sabino Dam is nice and short. The temperature near the water is lower in the end of the afternoon and really enjoyable. There is a tram (10$) if you don’t want to hike. Bear canyon trail is my favorite trail and get you to the top of the canyon with some awesome views of Tucson and Thimble peak. You can stop at the seven falls ( around 8 miles out and back) Don’t forget to bring plenty of water!
Caroline L — Google review
One of our favorite places to hike in Tucson. This is also a great place to enjoy to fall foliage. There are usually lots of people around and the parking spot gets packed quickly, so make sure you go no later than 10 am, especially during the weekend. Also, last time we went, the bus service was out of service. Bring plenty of water!

Catalina Park Inn Bed and Breakfast is an elegant B&B established in 1927, surrounded by desert gardens. It offers six refined rooms with adjoining terraces and balconies, featuring comfortable amenities such as a sofa set, work desk, ironing facilities, and smoke detectors. The bathrooms are well-appointed with a bathtub, separate toilet, sink, hairdryers, and shower caps. Guests can enjoy homemade cookies and engaging conversations with the friendly hosts over a perfect cup of coffee each morning.
I spent six days here while attending a workshop in Tucson. Great and sociable hosts along with amazing breakfasts each day -- some of the absolute best breakfast food I have had in my life. My room was perfectly clean and tended to daily. The inn is within walking distance of the university as well as plenty of places to dine or drink. Seriously consider this location during your stay or stop in Tucson, you will not be disappointed.
Z M — Google review
The Catalina Park Inn reminds me why I prefer a bed and breakfast when traveling. I was not returning to my anonymous hotel each night, I was coming home. I was greeted each morning with the perfect cup of coffee (three cups in fact), a creative, delicious breakfast, and a witty, intelligent conversation with two new friends, my hosts, Mark and Paul. They have a beautiful house, well located near the University and downtown, which has every comfort and a relaxed family feeling. When my wife and I left the Catalina Park Inn, we actually felt like we were leaving family, the good kind of family, the ones you miss. We can't imagine staying anywhere else on our return to Tucson.

Enjoyed every minute of our brief stay at Catalina Park Inn. The breakfast was incredible, the hosts were accommodating to my food restrictions, and the house was warm and comfortable. What a peaceful getaway! We'll definitely be staying here next time we're in Tucson.

We had a wonderful trip to Tuscon and our stay and Catalina Park Inn was a big part of that. We felt welcome from the minute we arrived - Paul and Mark are great hosts (and chefs!). The location cannot be beat - great access to 4 Ave and the history within the house is amazing - don't forget to ask for a tour! We will not hesitate to stay again on our next visit to Tuscon!

My wife booked a room here for our recent wedding anniversary. Staying here was the highlight of our trip. The owners welcomed us cordially and we enjoyed frequent conversations with them. The home is beautifully decorated as are the rooms. The room was absolutely immaculate. Breakfasts are a gourmet treat. If we return to Tucson, we will stay here again. Very nice experience.

I stayed at the Catalina Park Inn while traveling to Tucson for work. It was absolutely amazing! I had a room with a side porch which was a lovely spot to sit down with a cup of tea and a book. Lastly, the breakfast was delicious & the inn is spotless!

The quintessential Bed & Breakfast Inn! Welcoming, attentive hosts offer GLORIOUS GOURMET breakfasts; super comfy bed; large second-story room with plethora of windows overlooking garden fountains/palm trees. The setting for this beautifully restored, gracious 1927 home is a pretty, residential neighborhood. We loved our stay!

The hosts are fabulous. The rooms have everything you could need - even earplugs. But what I enjoyed the most was the absolutely gourmet breakfasts. Delicious and beautifully presented - they made me feel so pampered.
