Mediterranean restaurant
Zayna Mediterranean Restaurant is a calm Levantine-Mediterranean establishment that serves both traditional and vegetarian grilled dishes. Open daily, this eatery presents an array of delightful Greek cuisine which can be enjoyed on-site or as takeout. Additionally, delivery options are available for added convenience. A lunch special is offered at great value, including a sandwich with either fries or salad and a beverage for $11. The chicken shawarma is highly recommended by patrons and the location is easily accessible.
This place is absolutely incredible! The dishes are authentic, perfectly spiced, and there’s an impressive variety of vegetarian and vegan options. The atmosphere is clean, relaxed, and welcoming, with the beautiful touch of traditional Arabic music playing in the background. The service was outstanding—warm, friendly, and attentive. Highly recommend!

The food here has always been great. I tend to over order so I can have at home later. I ordered the Potato and Falafel appetizers, the lamb combo, Turkish coffee, Pistachio Baklava and Mint Tea. The food was all very good. Though I am still a little perplexed on my seating arrangement. I dined alone and was sat in a small room and ended up the only patron in the room after another couple, who looked like they were in their pajamas btw, that were dining before me had left. As others diners came in they were seated in the larger dining room, every last one of them. I'm not sure if I am missing a cultural standard or what the deal was. I was dressed very nicely as I had just left a wedding. In fact I've never been seated in the larger back room now that I think of it. Not sure I will return anytime soon as something was just off about my treatment.

Pretty good Mediterranean dishes. We ordered the beef sampler and lamb sampler. Both were good. I was surprised seeing green beans and the type of rice that were with the dishes but everything was pretty good. There is a lot of places to sit and plenty of places to park. I recommend trying it out.

I have been a customer of Zayna's since their original location, and I have never had a disappointment ever. This is honestly my favorite spot for Greek/Mediterranean food. There is not a single item here I have ever been disappointed with. From their hummus and baba ghanoush dips and pita bread, to my favorites their falafel and grape leaves. Great texture and mixture of warm and soft on the outside to their crunchy outside. I like to dip mine in their lemon and olive oil dressing or hummus. Now they offer a variety of meals in both a platter or sandwich style. Im a fan of either because no matter what you will get great food and service. My son enjoys their chicken shawarma sandwich because he loves their pita bread. I'm partial to the lamb shown here or the beef kiftka. I do enjoy their salads again with the lemon and olive oil dressing but I'm an even bigger fan of their fries which have a kick of their own, but can't go wrong with a dip of your choice. My son also favors their rice which is another good side option. And to wash it all down you can't go wrong with a cold mint tea. Drink it as is or add your favorite sweetener for something refreshing and diabetic friendly. As I have told others, you really can't go wrong with anything on their menu. Great for a carry out option but if you can, stop in and enjoy your meal in a very nice, relaxing atmosphere. The staff is always nice, the restaurant is always clean, it's a great experience.

Great food at affordable price. Loved the tenderness in the chicken. The pita bread was soft and freshly made.

Absolutely delicious. The cauliflower platter made me jealous when my partner got it and we were supposed to share but I wanted it all. Sorry no pics of the food but trust me it’s delicious. I got a Turkish beer to remind me of the time we spent there.
Zachary S — Google review
This is my go-to take out food place. I believe by now I've had everything on the menu many times over. The only negative is sometimes their lamb is over cooked and a bit dry. Easily overcome with yogurt or garlic sauce. Their garlic sauce does have. a but too much mayo taste too it, but not a deal breaker. It's five minutes from my house, which is perfect. The building used to be a Mexican restaurant and still keeps that decor...which was never awesome.
Angela — Google review
Excellent food..superb service...as I was on the closing time side of things no real atmosphere left For this second review I have added one star for atmosphere as it was dinner time and full house...lovely to see the same waitress still serving us... As I always leave honest reviews I will do so now as well....I drove 5hr round trip for the food and it was abundant tasty warm and all there, but still...it is missing the Real Arabic spicy touch...I know all good in USA get dumbed down and it works, but I would just like that truly spicy and over exaggerated seasoning which make the food stand out so much....

Shish Kebab House of Tucson is a charming Mediterranean restaurant tucked away in a strip mall, offering an extensive menu of authentic dishes with Jordanian influences. The cozy spot provides a warm and inviting ambiance for both dine-in and take-out experiences. Known for its delectable hummus and shish kebabs, the restaurant boasts over 100 items on the menu, ensuring there's always something new to try.
I'm visiting from out of town. The food was amazing. I had the gyro (or is it pronounced gyro lol) and a salad. The meat was super tender and seasoned to perfection. The lettuce for the salad was fresh and crisp. We shared a baklava for desert. Sheer perfection! It was warm and buttery with a light and flaky crust. Our waiter was attentive and friendly. The restaurant was clean. I would highly recommend Shish Kebab House, and I hope I get to visit again before I return home.

Excellent lunch today! First visit and enjoyed our time. Our server, Miguel, treated us like family, food came out quickly and each of our meals were delicious. Including a photo of us with Miguel. Food was so good we forgot to take a before pic, but here are the remnants of the baklava. You'll love it!

Food was great. Fresh. steak was tender. Kabob had great flavor service was excellent. Definitely recommend eating here and prices were reasonable
Floyd G — Google review
I am not sure why but they can never get an online order correct. The food is excellent..when you get all the ingredients. Like why do I need lettuce without dressing? This dish without yogurt sauce!! Like they charge an insane amount for this dish to be missing key items!! Get it together!

We had high expectations for this restaurant, having been drawn in by the glowing reviews, but unfortunately, our experience was a letdown. While the belly dancer’s performance was undeniably captivating, and she did an amazing job, it couldn’t make up for the dismal service. After being handed our plates, we waited 20-30 minutes for pita bread, which was only brought out after we reminded the staff. Our server seemed disengaged and never checked on us, neglecting not just the bread, but also basic courtesies like refilling our water glasses. The atmosphere quickly became uncomfortable as we were left feeling forgotten. To make matters worse, the portions were disappointingly small, especially considering the nearly $30 per person price tag. For what we received, it simply didn’t come close to justifying the cost. A beautiful performance, yes, but it was overshadowed by poor service and a lackluster dining experience.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐🌟 A five-star experience at the Shish Kebab House of Tucson! 🌟 👩‍👦‍👦 Took my mom out for dinner while in town, and this place is definitely one of her favorit hidden treats! The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and attended to, adding a special touch to our evening. 💫 🍽️ As for the food, it was beyond delicious! 😋 The dolma was a flavorful explosion, and the lamb was cooked to perfection. Each bite was a delightful journey for our taste buds! 🥙🍖 🏞️ And let's not forget about the location – simply perfect! 😍 The cozy ambiance combined with the warm hospitality made for an unforgettable dining experience. 🌆 If you're in Tucson and craving authentic and mouthwatering Mediterranean cuisine, the Shish Kebab House is an absolute must-visit! 🥂🍽️

I almost every time ordered Kofta bil Siniyah (Baked Kofta with Potatoes and Tomatoes) The way it came and serviced it was delicious 😋

Really good food. Just small portions. Salad was tiny, and there could have been more meat in my gyro. But what was there was really good. Friendly staff and relatively quick. I will be going back for sure.

Tumerico is a vibrant and inviting restaurant that offers a unique dining experience with its array of vegan and vegetarian Mexican dishes. The menu, entirely vegan and organic, features a variety of traditional Mexican flavors incorporated into plant-based tacos, enchiladas, tamales, and burritos made from fresh seasonal ingredients. Even non-vegan diners have raved about the Cuban jackfruit carnitas tacos and Ropa Vieja Plate.
10/10 experience. Immediately greeted by Miranda, who has an exceptional attitude and smile. The food came out within five minutes which is wild considering it was made to order, and it was delicious. It felt good to be there and enjoy the food. Definitely will be returning!

My beautiful friend and I thoroughly enjoyed a wonderful, fresh and delicious lunch earlier today. We both loved our Ropa Vieja plates paired with our iced Prickly Pear lattes, as well as chips and salsa. Fernando, Wendy & the entire staff are incredibly generous, exceptional, warm, attentive and inviting. The decor was wonderful as well and the products and salsa bar are well maintained and look so tasty. We look forwarding to returning in the near future.
Michael P — Google review
The food was great, but my biggest complaint was on their special that featured cactus as apart of the main dish. Super enticing, so I said why not. First impressions when the dish was brought out, was that I should have bought two... I knew it wasn't going to fill me up. And go figure, it was $17 for the main course alone. I also bought chips and salsa which you can't typically mess up, but the salsa was like water, and the chips were way to thick and oily to scoop up the salsa. I felt like I was trying to eat soup with a fork. The dessert was perfect, no complaints there, but the main dish needed to be more full, and they need to add some viscosity to their water salsa. Flavor-wise, delicious. The paprika was a stout seasoning, and made the flavor a solid 10. The flavor of the salsa was mild, but greatly enhanced when you added salt, but the chips were too thick like crackers, and very oily. Id love to give it a round two and see if I have a better experience next time. The dishes customers had around me looked much fuller than mine. I was able to eat 100% of everything but still didn't feel full. (Forgot to take a picture of the main dish, sorry)

Tumerico – Tucson’s Vegan Gem (5/5 Stars) Tumerico is hands-down my favorite restaurant in all of Tucson, and I’m not exaggerating when I say it’s a must-visit. Owner Wendy is incredibly warm and friendly, and her entire staff follows suit—always helpful, attentive, and eager to make your experience perfect. What sets Tumerico apart is its vegan menu that never feels limited. The daily-changing specials keep things exciting, featuring fresh, seasonal ingredients that burst with flavor. The in-house salsa bar is a highlight—each salsa is vibrant, perfectly balanced, and made with ingredients at their peak. The food is simply out-of-this-world delicious. Every dish is thoughtful, creative, and satisfying in a way that even non-vegans rave about. But it’s not just the food—Wendy has crafted an inviting, joyful atmosphere that makes you feel right at home from the moment you walk in. If you’re in Tucson, do yourself a favor and go to Tumerico. You’ll leave happy, full, and already planning your next visit.

This is one of my absolute favorite places in Tucson! As a long time vegetarian this was a great comfort restaurant to enjoy when I wanted to eat out! Everyone is always so friendly and there isn’t a wrong choice on the menu! The serving sizes are amazing and the drinks are always fresh/high quality. I recommend trying their specials, they’re always 10/10!
Alexis A — Google review
This restaurant is the best vegan Mexican food I have ever had. I loved that it wasn’t greasy and fried. We were welcomed immediately into the space and the menu was explained to us. I wish we could have this type of food in Minnesota! We ordered the nachos and tostadas. We also got the turmeric lemonade. It was delicious! When we got home I went onto the website and watched the interview about the chef and owner. It was so inspiring and beautiful. Congratulations on all of your hard work. It really shows!
Erica R — Google review
Tumerico has been voted the #1 vegan restaurant in the U.S.—and after eating here, wow, we completely understand why! From the moment we walked in, the energy was warm, vibrant, and welcoming. Every dish that came out of the kitchen felt like it was made with love and creativity. We ordered the Sonoran Barbacoa, Machaca Plate, Posole Soup, a Sampler Plate with Al Pastor & Cuban Tacos and a Frida Kahlo Tostada. We also tried the and the Mesquite Mole Enchiladas. Each plate was bursting with bold, fresh flavors and beautiful presentation and came with a side salad, fresh guacamole, beans and Cilantro Rice. All were FANTASTIC and over the top DELICIOUS!! To sip, we tried the Elderberry Lemonade and Creosote Lemonade—both refreshing, unique, and the perfect complement to the meal. The flavors are bold, fresh, and rooted in local inspiration. You won’t find cookie-cutter vegan here—every plate is inventive and scratch-made. There was plenty of seating and the walls were decorated with local art and murals! Tumerico’s story is as inspiring as its menu—it all started with the owner selling her beloved vegan tamales out of a cooler, and today the restaurant has grown into a national destination. Portions are generous, the atmosphere is lively, and the staff clearly care about making your experience memorable. Whether you’re vegan or not, this is the kind of food that makes you excited to eat plant-based. Tumerico is a Tucson treasure and absolutely worth the hype. We’ll definitely be back!

This restaurant has a serious reputation now...it's not cheap, but it's a good treat for yourself. You deserve it! You order, pay, and take a number to your table of choice. You'll find a collection of clean forks on the table. There's a self service salsa bar and ice water is also nearby the salsa. Don't miss out on the house speciality beverage. The prickly pear latte. You won't get one of these in Chicago or Minneapolis. This restaurant has been voted the best restaurant in the US 2x in a row. Both 2023&2024. Will they continue to be queen of the yelpers? Only time will tell. At the end of the meal you bus your own table. Im hoping to meet the owner in person one of these visits. Her passion for her roots, her culture, and her ability to provide good healthy vegan and vegetarian food that tastes magnificent, are inspirational. If I have not mentioned it yet, no meat at this location carnivores! But across town there is another place owned by Wendy Garcia, LA chaiteria a place with both meat and vegetarian options.

Nestled in Tucson, Sinbad's Restaurant is a delightful hidden gem that offers an authentic taste of Middle Eastern cuisine. This cozy spot specializes in Lebanese dishes, featuring mouthwatering entrees like Sinbad's Plate and Mashaui that are sure to tantalize your taste buds. Beyond the delicious food, the restaurant boasts a vibrant hookah bar where you can unwind with a variety of flavored smokes. Guests rave about the warm hospitality and attentive service, making every visit feel special.
I can't believe I've never eaten here. I was born and raised in Tucson and never considered eating here. On a whim after a chiro appointment, I finally ate here and am so happy I did. It was late morning and not very busy, and I was seated inside. The service was great and fast. The server was friendly and gave me baklava and a wonderful hot apple tea. I felt so welcomed, and the hospitality made me feel that this is how you are treated abroad. I can't recommend this place enough, oh and the food was great.

Had a great meal on a Monday night, I am so grateful for the food because it’s comfort home cooked food, that I enjoy and feel so much joy of how delicious all the food on the menu is, got the lentil soup to share & the, chicken Biryani. I try & select a different plate when I visit Sinbad’s Restaurant, glad they are in the same vicinity as before SO don’t confuse them with the place that’s replaced the building they use to be at. Sinbad’s Restaurant has been established for 17 year now and I am appreciative of the service the owner always offers, what an amazing cook and most welcoming individual.

This restaurant is tucked at the end on the courtyard that is in the center of Main Gate Square. It does seem that it gets overlooked since it is alone in this area especially at night. I was feeling like a light dinner so decided to get takeout. Went in to order and the older woman at the counter was a little gruff. Took about 10-15 minutes to get the food shrug there was only one couple eating outdoors and no one in the restaurant. Did notice the hookah lounge on the other side of the restaurant that was also empty. The food though was very tasty so despite any initial impressions glad that I stopped in.

I absolutely love this place.. I’ve been coming here for years 🖤 everyone is friendly, they know me, food is the best in my opinion or at least the best Mediterranean restaurant in Tucson hands down. If your looking for something you haven’t tried before definitely give this place a shot! And the fact you can eat and smoke hookah at the same time is perfect for me since I smoke so much but regardless try this restaurant!!! I’ll come just to hang out sometimes while I charge my phone and eat frys 🐼

I've read the other reviews, especially the "1 star" reviews, and this was truly some fantastic, delicious Mediterranean food! If you've never traveled to this part of the world, this food will only make you wish you could go there. Very humble, quaint establishment. Incredibly friendly, attentive staff. Very tasty, authentic food. Very relaxing, enjoyable atmosphere. The Lamb Shank over rice with an after-dinner-side of baklava and a Turkish coffee was my choice for the night - I was not disappointed. I haven't had this "authentic" since I was in Saudi Arabia. I will eat here again, someday, and I highly recommend you give it a try. التمتع(altamatue) "Enjoy"

Engin S — Google review
Not worth the price. I ordered ahead of time from their online menu which stated that the 3 meat entree (Mashauii) was $25... Which is already steep to begin with considering everything else is almost $10 less. When I got to the restaurant to pay the plate was run up as $30. I explained what was stated online and she pretty much just passed the blame on the 3rd party menu website (directly linked from the restaurant website) saying that they've tried to have them update the price to what they have on their printed menus in-house .... But at the same time if they're not doing what you asked them to, why keep doing business with them, and keep false advertising and misleading customers and be indifferent when confronted about it? Regardless, I paid for the food and needless to say it was not $30 worth of food not was it $30 worth of flavor. The babaganoush tasted like straight up chemicals, I don't know if it was canned babaganoush and it absorbed some of the tin flavor or whatever, but it did not taste anything like eggplant or any version of babaganoush that have had. The three meats were okay, well cooked, not dry but nothing great. I will say that the basmati rice was nice and fluffy and the hummus was pretty good. I love Mediterranean and Middle Eastern food and seek it out when I'm ever in an area that has it.... And this was a total disappointment, unfortunately.

Kebab King is a family-owned restaurant that specializes in Halal and Arabic cuisine. It is located within the Tucson Mall, and is a great option for budget-conscious consumers who want to enjoy a unique, tasty, and inexpensive meal.
We eat here everytime we come to the mall, always greeted with smiles and positive attitude, the food is fantastic! Don't forget the baklava, to die for! The best felefal I've ever had! Will always come back! Be forewarned, the olives have pits! 😂

I went there a few days ago and absolutely LOVED IT! I got a beef gyro and baklava, and it was very delicious. The guys working there were super sweet! I highly suggest you coming. Next time I’ll be trying their shawarmas and lamb!

I ordered the jumbo lamb chops and all the items tasted delicious, especially their unique hummus. The employees were friendly and respectful. My only nitpick is that the lamb chops were kind of thin.
Wakil R — Google review
Buyers beware! Deceiving imagery of the food on the walls of the restaurant. Paid $17.00 for a chicken and beef kebab with rice, sliced tomatoes, and chopped lettuce. Pita was available for an additional fee. I've never ordered a kabab anywhere that made you pay for the pita. The images on the wall had roasted tomatoes and a pita with the food. Not to mention the meat was compressed into a log. Once again, sometime I've never seen before anywhere for a kabab plate. What I paid for was absolutely not worth the money. Take heed and go somewhere else with your money!

The rice was perfectly cooked with so much flavor! They even had the Dubai chocolates for sale (we grabbed 4 of them). We will be back for sure! Thanks for the great hospitality! A++++++++++

Recently adding a drive-thru for convenient pick-up, Caravan Grill is known for its delicious falafel sandwiches wrapped with lettuce, tomatoes, and creamy tahini sauce.
This was easily one of the best chicken platters I’ve had in Phoenix. I loved how the platter was thoughtfully arranged with sections for salad, vegetable soup, basmati rice, garlic sauce, vinaigrette, and perfectly cooked meat. The meal was refreshing, with generous portions that everyone thoroughly enjoyed. Definitely a must-visit spot for a delicious middle Eastern meal in Tuscan.

The hummus was on a level I've never had until now. I could eat it as a whole meal. The chicken was so tender you almost couldn't even poke it with a fork and have it not slide off. The flavor was incredible. The lemon mint dressing for the salad was the most refreshing thing I've had in this heat. It made the whole experience even better. I really enjoyed everything about this experience. I highly recommend this place and will be coming back again.

Great selection of Mediterranean foods, we opted for the gyro sandwich combo #7 which came with a perfect sized gyro and a large helping of fries. Our friend got the chicken kabob plate with a few customizations and also loved it. Would eat here again!

This place is quite simple, yet it offers some of the best Mediterranean food in town, especially with the added convenience of being next to the Caravan Market. The service is excellent, and the quality of the products is impressive. I must say, the falafel and grape leaves here are the best I've had since I moved to the USA 23 years ago! PS: amazing Turkish Coffee

It's been awhile now since I ate here for the first time. Since then I have been dreaming about the day I can return. I miss it D*; The combination of the meat and the sauce that they have here satisfies a flavor craving that you never knew you had. It is driving me crazy just thinking about it. 1 day I will go back for another beef plate & a lamb plate as well. For now, let me cry a bit Edit* I came back and it was better than what I last remembered :D! This is my comfort food! I am very thankful to the Chef for treating a random stranger like family. I'm asian but this takes me home to a very safe/beautiful place. This food is made with love :D!

I wanted to try another spot for a Gyro. Nice location. Foodwise, good taste of the gyro meat, pita good and tzaziki sauce,tomato,onion....good. The draw?not a well balance made gyro. Maybe was just my order. Good presentation and like I say, flavor excellent but overshadow by too much lettuce and little of the rest. I could taste everything but the lettuce was the main flavor. Good balance will get five stars from me. Service was ok,not a lot of interaction but when I asked for mineral water didn't have ,coke same thing(pepsi drinks only) so I end up getting a lemonade with a strong concentrate flavor....fountain ? Drink I can live by but gyro can be better and I know will be

Went to take my boyfriend to dinner. He got the Mahi plate. He was eating it and noticed it was raw. He later that evening was sick. Not happy. Update: I went last Sunday and so glad I did. Totally different experience. Vanessa was a fantastic server, and the food was so good. I'm so glad we went back. I am looking forward to returning again in the near future. Thanks, Pita Jungle, for a great dining experience.

From the moment we walked into Pita Jungle, we were greeted with warmth and professionalism. The host was extremely friendly and welcoming, setting the tone for an exceptional dining experience. Our server, Paula, truly made our visit unforgettable. She was not only professional and attentive but also incredibly polite and kind. Paula went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect, checking in with just the right timing and making us feel completely at ease. Now, let’s talk about the food—wow! The gyros were absolutely to die for: tender, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. And the new potatoes? A total game-changer—crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and bursting with flavor. We left full, happy, and already planning our next visit. Big thanks to Paula and the whole team for making our meal so special. Highly recommend!

I recently "turned" vegan and it's hard to find a restaurant in Tucson with a vegan menu where the food isn't saturated with oil and butter. Pita jungle's vegan menu is the best I've seen or tasted in all of Tucson and I'm 40 and lived here my entire life. I highly recommend Pita Jungle to anyone looking for great, NOT mediocre, vegan food. Service is also superior.

We were visiting from out of town and were highly impressed with this place. Food was delicious, portions were great, and prices were reasonable. Service was top notch, too. We might be back before we head back home! Highly recommended! Don’t miss out.

We had the gyro sandwich with french fries, which was just lamb/beef with veg in a pita versus a wrap in a tortilla (which probably would have been great too). The fries were crispy and very well seasoned. They had their own ketchup and tzatiki sauce, which went great with everything. It was affordable and delicious. Other reviews check out. I recommend👌🏼

The best Greek wrap I've had in years. The meat was tender, flavorful, and hot. They give a hefty amount for such a reasonable price. I don't have much else to say it was a great experience. The staff was charming and the atmosphere was friendly and inviting. Go eat here! I'll def come back next time I'm in town.

Parking lot is quite large due to being shared with several businesses, so parking wasn't an issue. Our server Hector was pleasant, not super speedy service but it was busy. Our drinks arrived quickly. Unfortunately we were all hungry and the food was really good, so no pictures. All the food was excellent, there were 6 of us so a variety was ordered. The fries are excellent! Overall ambience seems to be dependent on crowd that is dining. No music or anything, so normal background noise. Overall a great experience and highly recommended.

We had dinner at Opa's Best this evening and really enjoyed the service and the food. The Pastitsio was very good and the plate was plenty of food for me. We were greeted immediately with a plate of hummus, greek tzatziki sauce, pita bread and some cucumber slices. The lady immediately took our drink order. The waiter was very attentive and friendly. He explained a bit about how to pronounce some dish names as we perused the menu. We enjoyed the food and the atmosphere was enjoyable, We sat next to a large window and enjoyed the traffic going by as we ate our dinner. The prices were very reasonable. We were happy with our dinner, the food was very good, the atmosphere friendly and the prices were quite reasonable. We'll return to Opa's the next time we are in Tucson. Nice place for dinner.

No wait time, and great food. Also, shout out to Steve, our server who took great care of us while we were there! Right down to when I asked if he could somehow make sure there were more than just one gnocchi (dumpling) in the chicken gnocchi soup, brought me a bowl with like five of them. :-) Would definitely recommend this place.

Took the family for easter. We had a lovely time the food was delicious the staff was amazing. We did have a few glitches unfortunately their fryer went down and they ran out of alfredo sauce so my daughter wasn't able to get what she normally does which is the crispy chicken alfredo. They don't know why the spinach artichoke dip took so long but they didn't charge us for it. The three things that went wrong unfortunately all happened to affect my 10-year-olds order. The dip and meal are two of her favorite foods. We did substitute the bacon sauce for the Alfredo sauce and she was satisfied although not completely happy about the grilled chicken instead crispy just happy she still got chicken with it😂. The food was delicious. The staff was very apologetic and both ladies (I'm assuming one was probably a manager because of the all the issues) were so sweet and kind. We completely understood and told them it's not their fault, equipment is faulty sometimes. I myself work with customers so I completely understand that things don't always go as planned. Like I said at the top we had a wonderful evening and the food was delicious cuz the most important thing was that we spent time as a family and had a good meal. 😘

Definitely not the Olive Garden of old. Picture shows the 3 gnocchi that were in my soup and I didn't find any chicken. Very disappointed. The fried raviolis and three cheese manicotti were lighter than before as well. Was sad to see I only received 2 breadsticks. Everything tasted good but for the $40 tab it wasn't worth it. I hadn't been here in awhile and don't think I'll be in a rush to come back.

Good food, very poor service, reasonable prices. We have been customers for 30 years; the food is regularly good, but the service is erratic. This is some of the poorest service we have received there.

Za'atar Mediterranean Restaurant is a cozy spot that serves up traditional Mediterranean dishes and delectable desserts. The restaurant boasts a bakery section, adding to its charm. Customers have praised the friendly staff, inviting ambiance, and flavorful homemade meals. The menu offers a variety of options including mixed plates with juicy meats, authentic flavors, and out-of-the-ordinary desserts. Noteworthy items include the lamb shank, kebab platter, and Zaatar fries to accompany the falafel sandwich.
Delicious food at tasty prices, set in a warm and well-decorated enviroment! This was my first time at Za'atar, and I've been so thoroughly impressed by them that I may take my partner with me for a second trip tonight! I ordered the gyro plate (11), my coworker ordered the chicken shawarma (11), we split some date bread and a rolled baklava. They offer pita or rice with the plates-- I chose pita and was not disappointed! Each slice of pita had the perfect pocket, was freshly baked, and had great flavour. I packed each one with fresh tzaziki, tender gyro meat, and veggies from the side salad. Everything tasted wonderful, was a great texture, and FRESH made! The date bread was springy and warm, the filling had good texture, and wasn't too sweet. The baklava was crisp all the way through, and the filling was just right in flavour and texture. Highly recommend! The space itself was laid out in a lovely way-- from the grand front doors there was the bakery (laden with fresh treats and breads) and kitchen to the right. To the left is the seating area, which holds around 10 comfortable sized tables. At the back of the room there's a beautiful table display, and there's art and decoration on every wall. The aesthetic altogether was full and exciting to look at-- the textures all played nicely together, too. Would definitely recommend, and am returning for dinner soon!

Za'atar came highly recommended Saturday morning from some friends of mine and so I decided to give it a try. There was ample parking in the parking lot and the entrance was nice and clean and featured the daily specials board out front prominently displayed. Upon entry I was greeted upfront at the register by the owner who was consistently enjoyable to talk to throughout the entire dining experience. he answered some questions for me about some items I had on the menu and recommended that we tried the pizza boat and the chicken shawarma platter. So we went with his suggestions and also added the original hummus for an appetizer. experience up to this point was phenomenal, however this is when the experience started to leave something to be desired. Be server, while new, took so long to bring us our Waters that we had to get the waters on our own. The hummus appetizer came out with hot pita bread and was displayed beautifully with a drizzle of olive oil, a little bit of spice, and an Olive garnish in the center. The initial portion of pita bread was not enough to enjoy all the hummus so we had asked the server for some more bread and was told that he would bring it to us. After about 10 minutes the server had still not brought us the bread he said he was going to so we just kind of gave up on that. as we were getting a little antsy sitting there waiting for the pizza boat and the chicken shawarma platter, we decided to take a trip out to the outside patio. the outside patio was very homey had ample seating and even had a private dining area I'm assuming for larger parties or important dinner events held at this restaurant. we helped ourselves to the private seating area and it wasn't long before one of the other employees came out and offered us a free dessert, it was not for the weight or anything it was just on a plate sitting at the private table and she was very kind and generous and offered us a dessert. After inquiring as to where our food was once about the total wait of 35 minutes our dinner was brought out. wow 35 minutes is on the longer end of food wait times that I've ever experienced, the meals were presented beautifully and we're absolutely delicious. I'm very glad I went with the owner suggestion of the Pizza boat as the flavors melded together deliciously in my mouth and it was definitely a top-notch meal with a price that I think is more than fair of only $7. we enjoyed our meal and had to get up to refill our drinks. we finished our dining experience by purchasing some deserts who I understand are made from a gentleman whose from Syria which is why the price tag I feel is a little high, well I'm not a huge fan of the deserts they did appear to have a great selection and they all looked very very delicious and made with love and perfection. overall The experience here was good enough for me to go back, I just know next time that I will have my expectations set in a manner to wear if the food takes 30 to 40 minutes to come out I will not be disappointed. I'm sure the server who told me he was only on his third day will improve with time. however having some serving experience I do think the owner should work a little bit harder and hiring people that have a little bit more pep in their step and are more attentive than the gentleman who served us. hope you enjoyed reading this review and I trust that if you venture out to Za'atar's you will enjoy it as we did just know you might be in for a little bit of a wait.

I stopped here for a quick lunch at their newish location today. Service was immediate and not too crowded. I ordered a chicken shawarma sandwich and a Turkish coffee. I received my order within 5 minutes. The bread was delicious warm and just the right thickness. The chicken was cooked to perfection. The tomato, tahini and onions complimented the sandwich. I wish I took a photo but forgot cause I was so hungry. The Turkish coffee was perfect as well with just the right hint of cardamom. The service was quick and the place was clean. I would highly recommend eating at Za’atar if you want authentic middle eastern food. There are also non-perishable items for sale as well that are local to Syria.

Having two different meats (pork and chicken) on the same plate, both were juicy and cooked through properly. Good and authentic flavors, vibrant atmosphere, and plenty of choices. Want out of the ordinary desserts? Drop in and get some freshly made/baked. Service is prompt and friendly. I will gladly dine in or buy their baked goods again.

I’m so happy I finally discovered this place. I love Turkish/Mediterranean food but most of the ethnic cuisine places tend to underperform, in my experience. But not this one! My meal was great (doner chicken salad), the rest of the family loved their dishes as well. And baklava is the real deal, it literally melts in your mouth. The only one like that was in Istanbul itself. And it was a pleasant surprise to find ayran as one of the drinks they offer. Great place!

I was really impressed with a one man show putting in at least 6-7 online orders plus ours. Each time he had each order ready and done before the pick up person was there. Amazing food and great service!

Ordered through Door Dash, missing items from order, barely any fries, tiny baklava, and no napkins. Paid $56 for $40 worth of food.?

The pita is warm here, jump in! The food was warm and with a side order of your choice (mine was the fries, yum) there is quite a helping of food. Nice view of the street, limited seating for indoors so pick a quick spot to eat or take it to go. 🍀

Mediterranean restaurant

Middle Eastern restaurant
Med Cuisine Restaurant & Bar is a delightful new addition to the Tucson dining scene, situated in the former El Saguarito location on Prince and Campbell. This spot serves as a second branch for the popular eatery already thriving at Park Place mall. Whether you choose to order ahead or swing by their convenient drive-thru window, you're in for a treat. Upon visiting based on local recommendations, guests have found themselves pleasantly surprised by the warm hospitality and attentive service from staff members.
We went there base on the recommendation of a Tucson local. We're glad we did. It was quite a expected being the afternoon of the 4th, and the young man there was attentive to our requests and took the time to answer our questions. we were pleasantly surprised with a nice welcome dish of fried bread and dip. The food came promptly and with a couple of exceptions was hot and tasty. The restaurant was clean and had a nice atmosphere. We would definitely recommend it and would return there next time we go to Tucson.

Every time I walk into this place, I feel like I’m stepping into something special! Something that nourishes more than just hunger. The food is out of this world!! The flame-grilled baba ganoush is smoky, rich, and layered with flavor. It is literally the best I’ve ever had. The fries are the BEST in all of Tucson! They are crispy, golden, absolutely addictive. And don’t get me started on the veggies that come with it! Fresh, vibrant, perfectly delicious every single time! But it’s not just the food that keeps me coming back. It’s the feeling. The care in the service. The kindness behind the counter. The way a meal can feel like a warm conversation, even without many words. The owner, Ray, is a phenomenal person, he is genuine, generous, always attentive. His wife is just as beautiful in spirit as she is in appearance, graceful and so warmhearted. It’s clear that this restaurant is a reflection of them, full of life & love! And to the one who always made my day brighter without even trying… you made this place more than just a stop in my routine, you made it a moment I looked forward to. Thank you. This will forever be my favorite spot in Tucson! A place where the food is unforgettable, the people are special, and the energy is just different!

Very surprised by this flavorful place. Kids plate was huge! Everything had its own distinct flavor, nothing was bland or tasted like each other.

Things have changed over the years but the food is still really good. The bread is no longer my favorite but I continue to eat a whole plate of it. I get the chicken platter and my husband gets a variety of meats. The roasted and fresh vegetables and garlic sauce make the dish even better!

Went for a late lunch. The restaurant was almost empty. We ordered cheese roll ups which were good enough. Then I ordered a gyro salad. The waiter walked away before my friend ordered. We had to seek him out to order for her. Asked for a side of pita. It was like eating cardboard. The gyro meat was barely warm, but tasted ok. Lettuce and tomatoes seemed fresh. Then they messed up our bill. Overall, not a good experience. There are too many good Mediterranean restaurants in town to try again.

Authentic Lebanese food! It's obvious the food and attempt to provide a good experience is there within the owners (cook, server). She was kind, friendly and hard working... but was attending to the entire restaurant by herself on a Friday night. Food options and presentation are there, but improvements can be made to attention to service and decorations (less generic walmart, need more authentic Middle East). Overall, good restaurant and experience.

If you like Greek food then you will love this place ! I enjoy Greek food so I randomly picked this place. And boy am I glad I did! From all appearances it appeared to be a family-run place. The building may be a little bit dated and older in appearance but don't let that stop you! All my food was fresh and extremely delicious! I ordered a Greek salad with gyro meat on top. I think it was a balsamic dressing that I ordered. I could barely eat all the food. The salad was huge and the Gyro meat was plentiful. They also provided some pita bread, hummus vegetables and dip to eat while I was waiting for my main course. I don't give out a lot of five star ratings but this place gets one because there just wasn't anything wrong and the food was delicious.

Nestled on Speedway just east of Alvernon, Babylon Market is a delightful gem for anyone seeking an authentic taste of the Middle East and beyond. This unpretentious market boasts a diverse selection of groceries from regions like Northern Africa, Eastern Europe, and India. Shoppers can explore an impressive inventory that includes dry goods, fresh produce, halal meats, cookware, and over 40 varieties of teas alongside 20 types of rice. But that's not all!
Stopped by yesterday to check it out. Loved it! I got a salad and a sandwich and the portions were generous and the food tasted amazing. In addition to the deli section you can get all sorts of products from the Middle East and Europe. I’m definitely going back and bringing friends. Oh yea, and the staff is friendly and helpful.

I used to like this place, but after my last visit, I’m not so sure anymore. I’ve noticed a few times that my total at checkout seemed higher than expected, but I figured maybe the price tags weren’t updated—no big deal. This time, though, I bought three items, including a bottle of rose water. When I got home and checked my receipt, I realized I’d been charged twice for it. There’s no way the cashier didn’t see I only had one—it’s a pretty big bottle. I really wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt, but this feels shady. Either they’re careless or they’re hoping customers won’t notice. Either way, I’m not coming back.

I’m new to cooking Indian food and was having trouble finding ingredients at local grocery stores. Decided to check this place out, they were so helpful and answered all my questions! They even have a butcher shop so I was able to get meat recommendations and cut right there!

We love Babylon market we get spices there no other place in Tucson has and the olive oil we buy there is absolutely the best! The fresh pita there is so much better than what other supermarkets carry.

Unfortunately, the only option in town for goat meat. Others are even worse. Usually the experience is ok, their meat cutting skills are limited. They use the machine and then cut the pieces in squares. No technique. That said, it’s still manageable. However, not this time. The pieces were supposed to be small for stew/curry. The butcher (a kid this time) did such a sloppy job of it! The pieces were cut as if to throw in a grinder. Some were as big as 5-6 ounce by itself. See the pics for yourself. If you go there, ensure you check the pieces after they cut it.

Nestled conveniently next to The Kava Bar on Speedway Boulevard, Sushi-Kito Restaurant is a culinary gem that offers an extensive menu reminiscent of a Tolstoy novel. This unique dining spot specializes in Mexican sushi, traditional sushi, and a variety of seafood dishes including soups and cocktails. Families will appreciate the kid-friendly options like burgers, tortas, and sandwiches alongside refreshing Mexican soft drinks.
I had a great experience. The food was amazing and the service was excellent. Maria our server was so kind and efficient. I enjoyed that the restaurant is family oriented and there is an arcade area. I went with my son so it was perfect to keep my two year old occupied. It’s also super cute inside provides a lot of areas for a cute picture. Highly recommend.

I used to loooove sushi-kito! My go to roll was the Tucson Roll I always get it when I order it, today my excitement of eating my favorite sushi roll was sad. It’s not the same. Not flavorful, too much spicy mayo and last but not least the shrimp. They were burned and dry. I’ve never experienced this with them because every time I ordered it would taste amazing even my boyfriend didn’t want to finish it! I’ve been getting the same roll for a year and a half and it’s always tasted amazing but today it was bad. To say the least I’m disappointed. I paid $25 dollars for the Tucson roll which was a little pricey but I didn’t mind because I thought it was going to be good but no.
Racciel T — Google review
If you want pure Sushi, this is not your place. If you're looking for a confused concept between Mexican and poorly executed Japanese, this is what you're in for. I hate knocking any restaurant, especially when they try, but this truly disconnected. From the gelatinous rice to the half-thawed "fresh fish." Sad, because the restaurant does have an inviting atmosphere. The menu is extensive, so maybe the non-Sushi items are better executed.

The absolute worst place I have ever been. Horrible service. Got our order wrong twice. 2 hour wait, when there was no one else? Had to take our food away twice to remake it, food came back ice cold. we were starving. Asked for an extra to go container because the food didn't fit, was told it would be added to the bill they can't give more than 2 per table. Just a horrible experience.

Gyro Shack is a delightful culinary gem that celebrates the rich cultural heritage of gyros, which have transcended their Greek origins to become a beloved staple in American cuisine. This eatery has made significant strides in popularizing this dish across the nation. Customers often rave about their experiences, highlighting the warm and friendly service they receive right from the drive-through. Many patrons appreciate how personable and attentive the staff are, making them feel valued as soon as they place their orders.
Tried this place out today and went through the drive through. The woman who took my order was kind and patient. The drive through experience was fast. The food was delicious. I had my dog in the car and they offered me a small piece of gyro meat for my dog which was super kind. I will definitely be coming back!

Rox — Google review
Updated as of 6/30/2024- After my lackluster first experience I was contacted (as can be seen) by the owner and prompted to reach to customer service. I do so and was responded to almost immediately with apologies and compensation. I was instructed to create a rewards account (that automatically gives you a free gyro) and was offered $15 to try them again. I returned and tried their colossal gyro (without the spicy sauce) and of course the traditional gyro. I definitely am glad I reached out and I got to try the tatziki; it's pretty good, and so are the sandwiches. Their menu is fairly expensive but the ingredients they use taste and feel quality (I didn't revisit the rice so I can't speak on that). The service as well seemed to improve on the three visits I had. Hopefully this upcurve continues. This place is nice because it's non conventional 'fast food' at pretty reasonable prices. As of now, Gyro Shack has won back a customer 👍🏼 Ordered the deluxe with tatziki and as you can see there is no tatziki. I see the owner responds to reviews so hello, can you please make this right? The wait was fairly long and the entree was $12. I expect better. The rice also tastes off.

Just ok. Nothing special. My salad gyro meat was cold. Not much of a salad. Very skimpy portions. Probably pass on this place as there are great Greek food restaurants so close by.

This was my first time coming here and from the moment the nice lady took my order on the drive-through, I could tell this place was gonna be good. She’s so personable and nice and she made me feel important. Then whenever I took a bite of my euro deluxe, and my Greek salad ,it was so delicious!!! The tzatziki sauce is on point ! The herbs on the Gyro meat are great. I’m so happy that I just happened to find this place.
Cheryl — Google review
Very disappointing meal. These gyros are disgusting. They were cold and very poorly put together. Also, the meat is cheap, thin, and is not shaved off of a spit and taste like it’s microwaved. The customer service is horrible. I ordered 2 combos and was only given 2 sandwiches. Then they came back with one order of fry and had to come back a third time for the last fry. The drive through ladies were rude about THEIR mistake. The baklava was super small.I will never go here again. Definitely not worth the money spent. You might as well grab a gyro kit at the grocery store. If you want a great gyro sandwich, try OPA’s Best Greek on Broadway. Must bigger sandwich, food is always fresh, and the customer service is great.
Kiona E — Google review
Gave Gyro Shack a go today since we were out and about. It was around 3 pm and it looked like the opening week hype had died down. Overall, for what it is, its alright. Very middle of the road. Customer service was friendly. The meat is thinly shaved, which is my personal preference. The veggies were fresh, the pita was soft. The flavor is where it gets into the its just ok territory for me. It does not pack that punch of a flavor that you would get from the likes of Opas or Shish Kebab House. It was almost bland -- I ordered the Spicy Bacon Avocado -- and did not give spice. It was fresh and hot. The fries were good. The location is interesting with limited parking. I can see this space being a little bit of a nightmare if it gets busy. It's definitely not meant to be the place you go to sit in your car and eat. Gotta grab your food and get home or eat in your car someplace else. I would go here again for a quick bite and try other things.
Katlin T — Google review
I have thought about a review for months. I went to this Gyroshack twice. First time I just had a pita. It was good. Not quite Mediterranean food but close enough. The second time I had a pita and a drink. I was waiting outside. It took about 10 minutes to get my order. Not terrible. Pita and a drink. At some point, I found something in my drink. At first I thought the straw was broken. When I investigated, I found a rather large squishy glob, not unlike phlegm, in my cup. While it could have been phlegm (not mine), it could have been an unclean or malfunctioning soda machine with syrup solidifying in the machine that produced this very unpleasant experience. I am trying to believe the latter but I will never return. I did not think to take a picture as I am still trying to forget what that could have been.I am posting to alert anyone who might want to double check their soda.

On its bustling first day, Darryl, the prominent figure (in charge?), brought energy to Dave's Hot Chicken by distributing complimentary samples to those waiting in line. The staff at the counter were polite and efficient in delivering orders promptly. I opted for online take-out and savored a diverse selection from their menu. The chicken proved flavorful, while the fries were satisfyingly adequate, and the kale slaw provided a delightful unexpected twist.
Really good, per usual. The staff is always really welcoming and nice. I asked for extra pickles and they seriously hooked it up. Chicken, fries, Mac, sauce - all tasty. Will be returning ***ONLY thing I'm not a huge fan of is the music choice. Seems like mostly 80s?

Just had a fantastic experience at Dave’s Hot Chicken! The food was delicious as always—crispy, juicy chicken with just the right amount of heat. But what really stood out was the service. Randy and Sean were working the counter and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. Randy was super friendly and helped me pick the right spice level, and Sean made sure my order came out fast and fresh. You can tell they care about the customers and take pride in their work. Great food, even better service. Shoutout to Randy and Sean for making it a 5-star visit! I’ll definitely be back.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (4/5) We got the sliders — taste was a solid 7.5/10 and the size was impressive, definitely not stingy with the chicken. But heads up: $77 for 4 meals and no drinks included with combos. My wallet is still crying. 😅 Wait time was about 15 minutes, which is totally fine — just don’t show up expecting fast food speed. It’s more like, “we’re making it hot and fresh, so chill a bit” kind of speed. Overall, good food, decent vibe, just bring your appetite and your debit card

Look, the food is good if you want some friend chicken with a kick. The Dave’s sauce is top notch sliders are great. The only gripe i have and probably something out thier control is the work force. Always seems like they are short staffed. Only one person in the front take orders and I can see orders are coming out without being called on a timely manner. My food was sitting there for like 5 minutes before someone from the back went out to start handing out the orders. The staff was upbeat though so kudos to them but maybe 1 or two more support would be great, but like I said it maybe out of thier control since people don’t want to work these days.

Portillo's in Tucson is a popular Chicago-born chain known for its Chicago-style hot dogs, Italian beef sandwiches, and more. Located at 3761 E. Broadway Blvd., this retro-themed eatery offers a variety of loaded hot dogs and other classic dishes. Customers have praised the delicious hamburgers and appreciated the accommodating service when there was an order mix-up. The ordering process is straightforward, with friendly staff ready to assist first-time visitors.
My first time in and I had such a delicious experience at Portillo's! I ordered the Maxwell Street Polish Dog on French bread, fries with cheese sauce, and the chocolate eclair cake--everything was absolutely amazing! The food was ready fast and the dining room was decorated so cool and everything was very clean. The Polish Dog had the perfect snap and the bun was perfectly made and held the generous grilled onions and yellow mustard through the whole meal. The fries were crispy and golden, and dipping them in that creamy cheese sauce? Next level. But the real star of the show might have been the chocolate eclair cake--light, fluffy, and just the right amount of sweet. You have to get dessert - they are sinfully delicious! A big shoutout to Jon at the counter--he was super helpful, took the time to walk me through the menu, and made a spot-on recommendation. His friendly attitude and patience made the experience even better. Can't wait to come back and try more of the menu!
Sarah F — Google review
This was my first time eating at Portillo's. My husband had the Big beef and I tried the chili cheese dog. Both, unfortunately, were pretty disappointing. 75¢ was charged to add peppers to The Big beef sandwich and only 2 small chunks were included and nothing else but meat in the roll. The cheese on the chili cheese dog wasn't melted, very little chili and the crunchy skin/casing on the hot dog all made for an unsatisfying meal. The strawberry shake was OK, but not fully blended. The chocolate cake was very good though! There were many employees in the kitchen but no ever came to clean off all the dirty tables in our row of booths. Overall not the best experience.
Sheila Y — Google review
This place is one of the best things to have happened on the East side of Tucson in a while. I make it a regular stop on my “New” way home from work.I have loved everything I have tried so far. My only complaint is the fries are way over salted! “Still love it and will keep coming back”!♥️ 😎🤘
Cory S — Google review
The food is pretty good and correct if you actually physically go into the store and place your order with a cashier but when you do it online they completely ignore all your instruction as far as making your fries well done or not putting salt on them or when you order your sandwich dry with gravy on the side and they can't seem to get anything correct. I don't understand how they can listen to the customer when they speak when they're standing in front but they can't read an order when it's placed online I have talked to them on several occasions and they agreed to refund my money on two different occasions because I gave them an extra chance to get it right and I never received any refunds from them. So if you want your food done correctly you must go into the restaurant but if you want it screwed up every time just order it online

Loved the atmosphere. I ordered large fries, a plant-based dog, and lemon cake – all delicious. The staff was great, especially Fabian, who was very polite and helpful. A big thank you to Tori as well – she's hardworking and so sweet, and made sure I picked up my order. Keep up the good work

I had the Italian beef sandwich. It’s very good. Only thing that I wasn’t happy with was I paid two dollars extra for the hot and sweet peppers and there was maybe a tablespoon worth on that sandwich I thought there’d be a whole lot more like Luke’s Italian beef, which is a local place beautiful store. I’ll be back to try the hotdog.

That beef and sausage sandwich...just wow. Make sure you ask for sweet pickles. Those change the sandwich from good to delicious. Their crinkle french fries are above average. The have the salt to crispness to soft potato ratio perfected. It is one of the few French fries that doesn't need a condiment. Their lemon strawberry cake shake is good. Strong lemon cake flavor. Turns out they put too much lemon cake. We got a new one and it had a good ratio. The chocolate shake actually tasted like the chocolate shakes from when I was a kid. The rodeo burger is good but I wish the BBQ had a stronger flavor. Can barely tasted any bbq sauce. Oh and they have beer on tap. There were 4 different types. See the picture.

Quacked U — Google review
Like others I found Alibaba to have mostly good food, even excellent food, and really awful service. I'd like to give the service a half a star and the restaurant 4 stars, but that's not that's not how this works. First, Google says this restaurant is open when it's not. I arrived at 10:45 with the open sign lit as well as a cardboard sign saying "open" but the door was locked. A man came to the door and said we are not open "but I will change the sign". He changed the cardboard sign but did not turn off the other. They opened 15 minutes later. There is no reason not to just let me in. There is an extensive menu here. But I turned to the appetizer menu and selected the 5 appetizer sampler offering. (See the picture.) But I was served 5 individual full size plates not the sampler. I will not go into the convoluted and confusing back and forth with the waiter who barely spoke English. It was painful. He had the cook come out and he couldn't get it straight that did I only wanted appetizer samples. That's pretty amazing.. anyway all the food was good except for the tabbouleh, but back to that later. When I asked for the check there was a significant delay. I knew what was happening. They were back there in the kitchen debating what to do. Finally the owner - or perhaps he was the manager - comes out and presents me a bill for 5 full size appetizers not the 5 items sampler. I pushed back on this and explain clearly that this was not what I ordered. I have lived and worked in the Middle East - Yemen, Saudi Arabia, Oman and the United Arab Emirates, not to mention visits made to Kuwait and Bahrain. I have advanced degree in Africa & Middle Eastern studies. I fancy myself adept at making the very dishes I ordered. So honestly I was not surprised when the owner decided he would start arguing with me about what I ordered, even suggesting that what I ordered was not on the menu at all, only later to change that tactic. This harrang would be par for the course in Abu Dhabi, but it's unacceptable here. Anyway, we settled on charging me for what I ordered. But back to the food. Hands down this was the best falafel I've ever had. The hummus and baba ganoush as well as the yogurt dip where nothing short of excellent. However the tabouli was inedible. This is really more of an Iranian place I think and they clearly don't know how to make tabbouleh at least not Arab style. There was no, as in zero, bulgur wheat in the tabbouleh. None. It was just a bowl of parsley with some oil and lemon juice on it. Truly horrible. But the two pieces of Nan bread were fantastic. Will I go back here? Probably. I did not get any, but the deserts looked fantastic. The food is good, but be prepared with extra time and patience to deal with the language barrier and cultural confusion on how to treat a customer in this country.

One of my favorite Mediterranean restaurants in US, the have the best taste of chicken i ever had , the staff are very welcoming, the have a really nice baklava. For overall review, the sitting area its not fancy at all, so u can js eat and go

Updated Review: Showed up at 9pm and it was closed. Was supposed to be open for another hour. No sign or indication as to why. I was furious. I went during a very slow lunch hour (I was the only one there). There isn't much to say, they were cleaning and still setting up while i was eating. The food is flavorful but I have had better Mediterranean/Persian food elsewhere (though probably not fair to compare to experiences in California). Overall a little mediocre. A Groupon brought me in but i doubt i will return.

Great place in Tucson. Very close to the University of Arizona. They serve Mediterranean food, they have Chinese food as well. The Owner is very helpful and friendly. Highly recommended to try their delicious food.

Food is great, service is horrible. Saturday afternoon, 3 tables worth if people including me, that's all. People behind me got the wrong food twice, I cannot seem to get a coke. Delivery guy trying to get payment for something causes care for those of us sitting here to come to a screeching halt. And all the workers are in a bad mood, definitely not trying to hide it. Will not be returning no matter how good the food tasted.

Today was my first time trying out this place and it was so delicious.I ordered Chicken and picked 2 sides Mac n Cheese and Kale salad. There was so much flavor in this dish.My hubby also had the Chicken with red chile glazed sweet potatoes, got to taste it and it was so good, also he got roasted broccoli.Everything was very delicious. It was so clean as well as the restroom. And the workers were so nice and friendly. I am definitely returning to this place. And highly recommend if you have not tried it .

We ordered the turkey cob salad, caeser salad, salmon with broccoli and cauliflower and steak, gluten free mac n cheese and a side of sweet potato fries. Very unique restaurant and all the food was very tasty. Turkey cobb was incredible, only wish is that the portions could have been bigger. Really nice aesthetic inside the restaurant too.

I loved this café/diner style healthy establishment. It's like healthy fast food at its finest. I ate here twice in two days and loved both dishes (chicken enchilada bowl and protein/two sides). Simple food, fresh, flavorful, right sized portions (i.e. not oversized American portions). Easy experience, friendly staff. I hope the establishment doesn't lose its high quality over time, like many chains do. So far, so good. Will visit again for sure when in the area.

I went here a few months ago for the first time and I enjoyed my selection. The ambiance was nice and they keep it extremely clean. It definitely reminded me of a Bread Co. or a First Watch. I ordered the Thai Dye wrap. It consists of spicy tofu, Thai basil, avocado, carrot, daikon radish, cilantro and snap pea. Their customer service was good too! Thanks Flower Child staff!

First time at this location. Pleasantly surprised to see grapefruit n lemon infused water outside the door, very nice touch as we arrived thirty from the hot morning in June. I tried the chicken enchilada bowl and it had amazing flavor. The atmosphere had upbeat music, fresh flowers on each table and comfy seating. Well worth the visit. 👍

What a wonderful addition to the Tucson food scene! The atmosphere and service here are top-notch! I will say, I expected the food to be higher quality, given its reputation & price point. While the sides and drinks (try their seasonal sangria!) are delicious, I was sad that the shrimp tasted fishy and the steak was a touch cold. However, the concept is great and I will keep coming back to try their other dishes!

Holy goodness gracious Batman. Say what now? Healthy food that’s actually amazing? No way. Yes way! I have avoided the Flower Child in Phoenix because it just sounds lame. Finally gave one a chance in Tucson as I travelled to Bisbee for the weekend. I am so happy that I did. If I could give the food a 10 out of 10 star rating I would. It was really that good. I can’t speak for everything but the falafel wrap and the chicken, mashed taters and Brussels sprout plate I got were phenomenal. I call myself a mashed tater expert and these were some of the best ever. The place overall was perfect. The staff was amazing and it was clean and busy. I was so impressed that I am going to hit it up again in my way back to Phoenix tomorrow. If there was one closer to home I would be going once a week for a while. The team and the leadership at the Tucson location get an all around amazing job rating. Well done. I forgot (as always) to get pictures of my food so I’m adding just one for humor. The only thing they could have done better was the Vegan cookies. These were kind of dry and lacking in flavor. At least they got it right and didn’t use butter. :) Great job team. See you tomorrow.

Doughbird, a concept by Sam Fox, offers rotisserie chicken and pizza and recently opened its first Tucson location. The food is highly praised, with the mashed potatoes being a standout dish. Despite slow service, patrons enjoyed the opportunity to relax and savor their meals. The menu has received high expectations and consistently delivers. While some dishes like mac & cheese fell short, others such as the truffle pizza with Italian sausage were well-received.
Just a great place to get some food! The decor is very nice. Everything we ordered was fantastic! I couldn’t wait to get into it and I forgot to get some pics and vids. If you’ve never been here definitely go for the experience. Could be the best burger in Tucson 🍔

I love coming here for family date nights, solely because of the atmosphere and the cleanliness. It’s so relaxing, almost like being at home. I really enjoyed the caramelized cauliflower dish (I love cauliflower), the classic chicken pot pie, and the spicy blackberry margarita. I’ve never had meringue before but it was a well balanced desert. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu, I loved him but I don’t know his name. I’ll definitely be coming back with my family again, keep up the good quality. Thank you.

My 3 Friends & I went here for the first time for my Birthday! The chicken sandwich was so delicious & not dry @ all. One friend ordered the salmon & she said it was one of the best she ever had. The Brussel sprouts was too charred to her liking so they immediately got her a new serving. Loved our waitress Sheila & let the chef know how she loved the salmon. Will definitely go back!
Verna C — Google review
We started with the wings and truffle fries for an appetizer, and both were very good. The Buffalo style wings were tasty and not just typical Buffalo flavor. Truffle fries were really good, and the serving size was more than worth it. I ordered the chicken tender entree, and they were delicious. They were crispy, tender, and not dry at all. Would I go out of my way to visit again? Probably not, but if we are in the area and looking for a nice place with good food and an atmosphere, DoughBird would get my vote.

A BEAUTIFUL space, loved how cozy and intimate the booth seating was. Our waitress was funny and attentive and we loved her! The mocktails were my personal favorite. I definitely want to go back and try more entree items... I got the aviator pizza Detroit style and it was good but nothing mind-blowing. The brussel sprouts appetizer, however, was amazing. The hot honey is the perfect touch! We'll be back for sure.

Tried it & loved it. The gluten free crust has the taste and crisp of a regular thin crust pizza. It was made exactly how I wanted it. No complaints at all. None.

This place has MASTERED the (Hand Stretched & extra crispy) Barbeque Chicken Pizza ($20.50), comes with charred corn, red onion, jalapeño, and cilantro. This is my go-to and the only item I have repeatedly ordered, and it is consistently fantastic. Let me foot stomp the hand stretched, thin and crispy comment when you are ordering. If you are a thin crust ‘pizza pie’ diner, then you will not be disappointed. Decent draft beer selection, nice new / modern glassware, cloth napkins, and the bellying up at the bar with Ellayna or Austin at the helm, solid 5-star service from start to finish. Positively engaging, professional, and so friendly. A genuine thank you to the staff and those behind the scenes in the kitchen, those pizzas aren’t easy to get perfect and tailored to the specific requests (for us) yet somehow, the kitchen team ‘nails it’ each and every time.

Greek House is a casual dining spot that serves traditional Greek cuisine like pita sandwiches and fries. Despite being described as modest, the portions are actually generous, according to one enthusiastic customer. The gyros are particularly praised for their size and flavor, while the perfectly fried fries and flavorful Greek salad also receive high praise. The hummus is highlighted as a standout item on the menu. Overall, it's recommended as a go-to place for anyone who enjoys delicious gyros and other Greek dishes.
GOOD LORD! The guy who said small portions, uh huh, get outta town. First time coming here with my wife and we were blown away. Gyros are great size, fries are PERFECTLY FRIED, Greek salad is light and flavorful and their hummus is amazing!!!! I'd come here again and again and recommend it to anyone who loves a good gyro.

I’m impressed that I can even review this because my mind is blown! We ordered the Helio Fries and these were the single best loaded fries we have ever found. Crisp fries, Taziki sauce, feta cheese, tomato, gyro meat, garlic sauce, and topped with a sunny side up egg! Outstanding!

This place has the best Gyros Mega Fries - with creamy housemade feta dressing. Their feta cheese is creamy and fresh, which makes this a little different than the typical tzatziki sauce. This size fries feeds 2 people for 10.95!

After trying to order from UBBER, we decided to just place our order and pick it up. The portion size was amazing. We had Gyro and my co-worker ordered the Wildcat Burger. Fries were tasty and sauces were wonderful. Customer Service was top notch too! Definitely found a new place to have a Gyro.

I came here with an adored colleague for lunch and the best I can say is that it was just okay. We both got the Zoe salad, which is Greek spiced chicken on a bed of greens with tomatoes and cucumbers, and your side of dressing. I will say but there was definitely a lot of food, as we probably could have split a salad and then just fine. But the chicken was a bit dry, and unless you added dressing to your salad, there was very little else in the way of flavor. For almost $10 a pop, it was okay. It wasn't great, it wasn't awful.

Nestled in the vibrant Mercado District, WHOLE SLVCE PIZZA made its debut in May 2024 at the Monier Building, conveniently located between Mercado San Agustin and MSA Annex. This exciting new venture by Ari Shapiro and Travis Evans of Falora brings a taste of New York to Tucson with its focus on deck-oven pizza slices and large pies.
They had a very unique menu and the white pizza was amazing and they take special requests very well and everything is made their they make their own sauce and their own dough. It was the best white pizza I have had on the West Coast. Also when you get a pizza there if you go next door to the bar you get a discount on your first drink.

5-Star Review!! Delicious Vegan Pizza Haven! I recently visited Whole Slvce and was blown away by their vegan pizza offerings! As someone who follows a plant-based diet, it’s rare to find a spot that nails vegan pizza so perfectly. The crust was crispy yet chewy, topped with fresh veggies, flavorful plant-based cheese that actually melts, and a tangy tomato sauce that ties it all together. I tried the vegan margherita and the loaded veggie supreme—both were absolutely delicious and didn’t make me miss dairy at all! What really stood out was the friendly staff. They were super welcoming, knowledgeable about the menu, and even suggested customizations to make my pizza extra special. It’s clear they put thought into accommodating vegan diets, with a wide range of options from appetizers to desserts. If you’re craving vegan pizza that tastes like the real deal, I highly recommend Whole Slvce. It’s become my go-to spot—five stars all the way!

I think this was my first time eating New York style pizza, and I was impressed. I ordered 1 slice of pepperoni just to taste. The pizza was already cooked, and they resend it through the oven to make it crispy and hot. The crust had that crunch you get from fresh bread, which was really nice. It had the right amount of sauce and cheese and lots of pepperoni. The slice was also pretty big. One slice was maybe $6.25 with tax, so cheap enough that everyone can afford it, but it doesn't taste cheap or pre-made. They are located at the bottom of an apartment bldg so very easy to get to. There are also other shops around, so you can look around while you eat a slice. I will definitely come back, and I would recommend other people check them out as well.

I had an amazing experience at Whole Slvce! Not only was the staff incredibly friendly, but the slices came out quickly and was some of the best pizza I've ever had. I got the #3 and it was absolutely delicious, I especially loved the lemon zest. I'm definitely coming back again soon to try all the different menu options. Plus the vibes at the Mercado are always great. Easiest 5⭐ rating ever!

Absolutely the most authentic New York style pizza I have had in Arizona. The owner operator made me a pizza and messed up the first pie so he gave me it on the house and remade the pizza fresh. If you are looking for authentic New York style pizza whole slice is your next stop in Tucson. Weather its pizza by the slice or a whole pie this is without a doubt Tucsons number one New York style pizza.
Ryan D — Google review
Delicious New York style pizza! The crust is the star of the show; exactly what one would expect from a good NY style pizza: flavorful with a chewy texture and crisp on the outside. The flavors of the sauce, cheese, and toppings compliment the crust harmoniously and are the perfect ratio. The Kale Salad is simple yet supremely flavorful. The dressing adds a robust seasoning to the salad that compliments the kale instead of overpowering it. The Strombone is a must try! With rotating ingredients you never know what to expect, except that it will be cheesy and flavorful and wrapped in their fantastic crust! I love NY style pizza and snag some whenever the chance comes along. The Whole Slvce exceeded my expectations and delivered the pizza experience I didn't know I was missing since moving to Tucson. The shop itself is a walk-up style counter with a courtyard to the side to enjoy your slice. A business in the courtyard was playing some peaceful ambient music which added to the relaxing vibe of the courtyard. I look forward to trying their vegan options Grab a slice, a whole pie, and even a Strombone. You will NOT be disappointed!

Al Basha Grocery is a hidden gem that offers a delightful blend of community and culinary experiences. Regulars like Jesse Davis appreciate the chance to connect with others in a warm, inviting atmosphere. The store boasts an impressive selection of fresh ingredients, including smooth hummus and perfectly seasoned falafel, but it's the Shish Tawook—a smoky chicken dish served over aromatic long-grain rice—that truly captivates visitors.
Yesterday would have been my mom and dad's 55th anniversary. After visiting my dad's grave I brought my mom here because she loves lamb. We got a few pounds of ground lamb from the butcher inside the grocery store and a few sodas while we were waiting for our food from the restaurant in the back.

Expired items every time I got. Many times I talked to them about it. They act surprised and removed them and I got a few weeks later, it is the same. Last time I went, I told the chair and he said ‘yeah, it is expired that is why it is for sale’. Dairy there is infamous of being expired all the time. Never go there. Responding go the owner’s response. With all due respect, I was there this afternoon and saw items that are expired on September 7th.. not one, like 12 of them… Dairy, I checked again today and found multiple that are expired 5 days ago… so I don’t know what are you talking about. To be honest.

Service was good. Plenty of parking. Clean and nice atmosphere. The shrimp cocktail appetizer was amazing. The Rolls were not very good... it's mostly the spongy packed rice around it that was pretty bad. The ingredients in the roll were good. Also not a fan of the cooked salmon on top I chose what they called natural salmon instead of the fried salmon so I assumed regular raw salmon but it was cooked and tasted fried and crunchy just not breaded. It's a nice concept but didn't deliver. I'll try it again and see if the tacos are good. Kinda mixed about this place because it does have nice service etc. So I want to give it another try and just steer clear of the Rolls.

Fresh tasty Mexican food at reasonable prices. Good size portions. The bacon wrapped burro was full of tasty meat. They took care in making it along with beautiful presentation. Great attentive service too! Definitely going back to try the sushi. Happy hour Monday-Friday 3-6pm
Chris B — Google review
I’d give Mr. Patron a 3.5 if I could…but hey. I’m trying to wrap my brain around Mexican Sushi…I’m struggling. Something I’ve noticed when it comes to Mexican sushi is the fish seems to be flavorless…and I’m someone who likes to taste her raw fish, which of course means it must be good quality and cut well. Oddly, the most unappealing part about the whole genre to me is the lack of (quality) fishy flavor? The rolls were carefully made, but overall the flavor was flat…the rice was very neutral - zero flavor, tightly packed so you got a lot of it. I understand how swinging to rice too far vinegary or sugary can backfire in complicated “everything” rolls but the rice was *too* neutral…. But I think that’s where the sauces come in. We were given four bottled sauces and a bowl of peppers, and liberal use on the rolls helps the flavors. The jalapeño sauce on the Cheeto roll was a great combo. The Mexican sushi rolls are big - we definitely over ordered (kid no longer eats like a teenager…who knew). We opted for mostly cooked shrimp in our rolls…and the shrimp quality was good. I was a bit surprised at the fry on the rolls..I expected more of a tempura type fry and the method(s) used were quite different…and quite frankly they may want to try switching it up, because I think a different fry would help. I did enjoy the aguachile tostada, except the veggies and shrimp need to be cut smaller. Big pieces are difficult to turn into an even bite. The quality of the ingredients were very good. The salmon tempura roll was the best roll we tried. The salmon on top had a great fry. Mexican sushi aside, I’m hoping to return to try more traditional dishes using their seafood and sauces, because I suspect those dishes will be very good. I think the chef has good ideas…just needs to tune the rice because it’s wiping out the roll flavors. I also want to try some margaritas because I have a feeling…
T C — Google review
This place was clean the staff was friendly attentive and fast. The food we tried were the Arizona roll, California roll and the monster fried rice. The food did take a while to come out but other than that would recommend this place if you like sushi, next time I would not get the roll fried. The boneless habanero chicken that came with the rice was the only thing I though was bland and the lemonade was watered down, other than that everything else tasted great. Also the sauces they bring you for the sushi are very good.

This is a hidden gem in Tucson. I ate here twice in the last week and I have never had this type of cuisine. The sushi I had earlier in the week had a Mexican flare and the flavors mix well and the portions are well worth what you pay. I also had the stuffed peppers and fish tacos. Although I was the only person it did not distract from the quality or flavor. The flaming hot cheese sticks are not too hot and have great flavor, the shrimp bacon burger was a little messy but once again the flavor was mind blowing. The jalapeño on top is grilled and I was told to add lime with salt. I am so glad I did and from now on when I have any jalapeños like this Lime and salt are going on them. My drink (Horchata) was perfect but this was the first time I had ever had it and lastly the dessert was chocolate flan cake with Carmel and Chocolate Sauce. I can’t say enough good about this place. If you are ever in the area you need to give it a try.

I went here to see my children and I was not expecting to walk into what looked like an abandened bank. When I did the bathroom was right inside the door to the left. It was cutely decorated and you cpuld tell it was well thought through design wise. (Some people peeled off picture on the one wall) the bathroom in VERY small for such a big location. The store is really clean and has a nkce smell. The food was AMAZING!!!!!! The plave reminded me of KFMA days when we were able to gather and watch a bunch of bands. The atmoshere definetly shows this love of rock anf music! They staff doesmt wear gloves or hairnets and dpnt have an of the work related posters, food safety procedure, nor do they have an business cards out for people to share or paper menus to look at. The TV does show the menu but it scrolls through so fast making it hard to read. Which became very fusterating even for me. So you might want change how fast the TV scrolls for those who have PTSD, epilipsy, and any other medical condition. This placa has so much potiental if they only had STAFF that were willing to make the place blossom. Tjey have a working drive through window they arent talkng advantage of either. There so so creepy people that are imperinating cops and FBI agents so be careful when dining in at thia location. I went at night and if it wouldn't have been for google maps, I never would have even found it! I would hate an organizations doing checks at said location due to the lack of staff intelligence in the matter od correctly owning and runing a business.

Three stars for the lack of handwashing, taking multiple orders while orders were burning on the grill and not only the food was burnt and said questioning oh, is it burnt? Two stars for the food the Alfredo was all right, but it wasn’t as flavorful as anticipated. It’s kind of plain Alfredo white sauce. The noodles were cooked al dente, which is a plus. the chicken was black on one side and the other charred. The cook felt it was good enough to plate as long as putting the Burnside down and covering with asiago Romano, and a breadstick. You can’t untaste the flavor of burned chicken. He handled multiple dollar bills served multiple drinks and took a few orders followed by not washing hands, he forgot. Then proceeded to grab a handful of cheese and throw it on top of my pasta. He offered to correct the chicken which was about five dollars to add onto your fettuccini chicken Alfredo. I declined because he hadn’t washed his hands yet. This play cost a total of $21 and I tipped him in advance. I should’ve waited to tip until after I was satisfied with my meal.

We were starving and trying to think of an Italian place to eat that was not expensive. Google search brought up this restaurant. Menu prices were great. It’s not facing Tucson blvd so park towards the back of the lot where the entrance is. VERY nice and helpful staff. We were the only ones eating in, so I guess it’s more of a take away place. It was nice though to chat with the staff and get their recommendations. Garden salad was HUGE, dressings were good, garlic bread was fine, but dry. BUT the STROMBOLI we shared WAS AMAZING!! Even the next day COLD the flavors were incredible. The dipping sauces I liked were the bolognese and marinara. They have bottled or canned drinks. Paper plates, plastic utensils and styrofoam (environmentalist nightmare). They said they’ve been open a year. The desserts are outsourced and the tiramisu was like I’ve had in Italy. Definitely will order again!

Ordered a Caesar wrap that in the description, states the wrap comes with chicken. When selecting the item, you are then presented with OPTIONAL protein choices again. I ordered without selecting any optional choices (going by the item description) What was delivered is a burnt tortilla with only hot lettuce & Caesar dressing inside it and the side of fries. The fries are mid.

Very good customer service. Awesome atmosphere! Not to mention the food is spectacular. Best experience and Italian food in Tucson. By far! I’ll definitely be returning!
Ruben L — Google review
The food is okay. They used to have good gluten free lasagna. December 7, 2024 I ordered it they let me know they didn't have it anymore. I asked them to cancel my order. I never received a refund even after calling at least six times.

I would give 10 stars if I could!!!! Easy to find, VERY clean throughout from what I saw, the gentleman working today I’m assuming the owner was very friendly! The food? phenomenal!!!! We both got meatball subs, mine light sauce and he delivered perfectly!!! The food taste amazing and smells just as good. Will definitely be back

Comida Park Tucson, located at the Tanque Verde Swap Meet, is a fantastic destination for food truck enthusiasts. The park offers a wide variety of delectable options, including Louisiana seafood boil, southern fried chicken, lobster rolls, birria ramen, and Hawaiian shaved ice. Visitors can also enjoy the friendly service from staff members like Jasmine, the park manager who ensures guests are well taken care of and even invites them to karaoke nights.
We ate at O'l Pot Hole, it was really good. The food truck serves chicken, burgers, fries, macaroni, turkey and grilled cheese sandwiches, and chili beans. I suggest trying the macaroni and fries, and they have the best grilled cheese sandwiches and burgers in Tucson. This business deserves support, the owners are cool. The owner accommodated meals and different options for us.

Only place I go is Gatz deli! Best sandwiches on the planet. They're moving to voltron brewery in downtown.

Ordered the elote en vaso(corn in a cup) it was delicious. The papusa was very good too. Staff and service was friendly and helpful.
Stephanie S — Google review
Came here at 2:30 PM on a Thursday and plenty of food trucks at the location but not even one of them was open. The website states they open at 11am, so you would think three hours after they "open" you could get food from at least one of the food trucks.
Nick D — Google review
We had the seafood boil, it was delicious. Plenty of Mexican food trucks, Burger, BBQ and a few other options. Karaoke set up in the center.

Cool addition to the swap meet. All I had was popcorn but it was great.

Nestled in the heart of Downtown Tucson, The National is a vibrant fast-casual café that has quickly become a go-to spot for breakfast and lunch enthusiasts. Housed in the charming former National Shirt Shop building, this delightful eatery boasts an extensive menu featuring everything from hearty burritos and avocado toast to comforting matzo ball soup. With its inviting atmosphere filled with natural light, it's an ideal place to enjoy brunch or catch up over coffee while soaking in good tunes.
8/30/2025. 10:00 a.m Wine tasting and the place was packed. This is the place to go! The atmosphere is exciting, youthful and positive for singles, couples and family outing's. The chef is an amazing ARTIST! EVERYTHING looks and taste like a culinary experience from an EXECUTIVE Chef! What an amazing downtown experience! Every individual made every guest feel SPECIAL.

We used Resy to make a reservation. When we arrived at the check-in time we were told that they don't use the system anymore but they also didn't make any attempt to find a table for us. We then found a spot. When we walked up to the counter we heard "we are out" for the chai tea, the matcha, the chicken sandwich, ketchup and vegan ricotta making it hard for us to order something we liked. The food was mediocre for example the avocado toast was a bagel with slices of avocado. The reason I give them 2 stars at all is because it's a very cool interior and location.
Maren H — Google review
We visited this place on a Sunday morning and the service was friendly and very fast. We waited for our breakfast burrito and biscuits and gravy for 5 min in guess. Everything was fresh and drinks also were nice. Atmosphere very bright and interior stylish. Recommend to visit 👍🏼

If you’re looking for ambiance & amazing food, this is the spot. Their pastries are top tier & customer service is exceptional! If you’re stopping into town, this cute brunch spot is the talk of the town !

First time viaiting the restaurant. Coffees were delicious along with their food. Atmosphere was great for brunch and even got some work done while there.
Bea M — Google review
This place has great food and a nice modern looking atmosphere. Staff is friendly and helpful at first, but then you’re on your own. It’s also super expensive. I got an English muffin and drip coffee today, and it cost 20 dollars. That’s highway robbery.
Rob Y — Google review
Went in for brunch and was surprised that it wasn’t busy for 1130 on a Saturday. The young lady who greeted us explained perfectly how to order. Our food came out in good time, we ordered the two eggs combo. The lox and bagel was delicious, my friend shared with us and my chicken and waffle was great, I couldn’t really taste the prickly pear so I would probably substitute for pancakes next time, but we all thought the chicken was delicious and juicy. We did order a side of the lemon pancakes, so I know those were good. The house iced coffee was good, I believe it’s mesquite. The only thing I would recommend is the cutlery set up being in one location maybe. Oh and the bathroom can be a bit of a hassle to have to walk all the way around to. By the time we finished eating, it had gotten filled so we were happy with the time we chose to eat. Parking meters downtown is now charged on Saturdays in case you want to know.
Tanya C — Google review
Strongly DO NOT RECOMMEND. Very disorganized and horrible service. The place is being there since November and they clearly don’t understand the hospitality business. Instead of letting people know that the orders will take long, they instead just let it ride assuming that nobody will say anything. I was accompanied of an elder person in my party, my wife and my son. We waited for over an hour for nothing. I was not the only one either. People were leaving as well due to the same issue. Apparently the owner was there and she seemed oblivious to the situation and didn’t even know what to say. No consideration to people’s time. I left very upset and I will spread my “wonderful “ experience at this business. If are thinking about going there, DON’T. Look at the reviews. While we were waiting I asked other people how was their food and I got the same answer 3 times. “Not that good” This is another example of someone that decided to buy a restaurant but they have no clue to what they are doing. I give it 6 months for them to close. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.

Bakery
Rosebud Bakery is a charming spot located in the historic 5 Points neighborhood, offering a delightful selection of artisanal baked goods and comforting coffee. The menu features an array of handcrafted treats, sourdough bread, and pastries made with locally sourced ingredients and heritage grains. Additionally, there are options available for those with dietary preferences such as dairy-free and vegan choices. Visitors have praised the bakery's inviting atmosphere, friendly service, and top-notch products.
Quiet little bakery with friendly service. We tried the fresh Chocolate Croissant and an Iced Latte. Small selection of pastries available to order. They also have fresh bread and a Bread Club. The bakers in the back were busy making the next batches of goodies.
Douglas L — Google review
Nice selection of pastries. Only complaint is that cold brew and some other drinks have one standard size only. I tried the blueberry Coconut crumb cupcakes and nectarine hand pie and both were impressively delish.
Magenta G — Google review
The baked goods are great. Baked fresh daily until sold out. Go early and get your baked goods. They have coffee and other drinks to compliment baked goods. The staff is so friendly and always smiling. It makes my day to stop.

Stopped by for a coffee and pastry. Enjoyed a very tasty lemon blueberry scone and an iced americano. Great atmosphere. I sat at the counter overlooking the prep area. Enjoyed watching the magic happen ! Super friendly owner/sisters and staff
John M — Google review
We really enjoyed our experience at Rosebud! We tried the cheddar-onion scone, a latte, and a cappuccino. It was all delicious! The scone was moist and the coffee was perfect. We took home a loaf of the freshly-baked sourdough, which is also tasty. The loaf is quite large for two people, so we will freeze half and see how that goes. The staff/owners were very nice, patient and helpful. We sat inside and it was comfortable and cute. I really recommend stopping by!
Erin M — Google review
Amazing and fresh sourdough made by a skilled, local baker. She has been making sourdough for about 10 years and passionately working to open a storefront after being a cottage baker. She and her sister created an inviting coffee shop and sourdough bakery in a historic area. I would recommend rosebud sourdough to friends and family.
L — Google review
Food is amazing, this place I want to note is definitely food 1st, coffee 2nd which is totally cool because I can’t think of anywhere else really like that in Tucson. Their sandwiches are great and all pastries are incredible. They don’t have a ton of seating so be prepared to take it to go. Truly such a great bakery, that being said I really wish they had straws (I’d even be happy with bio degradable ones!)
Ashley R — Google review
I'm obsessed! The staff is incredibly genuine and friendly and the parties are divine! I attempt to try something new on every visit and have loved everything I've tried. I also love their espresso drinks and highly recommend trying any specialty beverage because they always hit.

VivaTokyo is an exciting culinary venture in Tucson, brought to life by the talented duo Gabby Delgadillo and Jesus Oleta, who previously delighted food lovers with their innovative Samurai Sombrero food truck. This new establishment takes a fresh approach, showcasing a diverse menu that goes beyond sushi rolls to include tantalizing dishes such as Spicy Tofu, ramen, and hearty beef bowls.
All these folks operate on small margins so they are sometimes short staffed having to cook and then run the food out but for me was worth the wait and would come back again.
