Beyond Bread is a popular bakery and cafe in Tucson, with three locations offering a variety of delicious baked goods, breakfast items, and hearty sandwiches. Established in 1998, this locally owned establishment has been recognized for its best bread and sandwiches by Tucson Weekly. The menu includes hand-crafted breads, house-made soups, fresh salads, and decadent pastries. Whether you're looking for a quick bite on the go or a leisurely meal, Beyond Bread offers options for every appetite.
Great sandwiches. I had Annie's Addiction, a delicious vegan option. Soft fresh bread with a healthy amount of fresh veggies. I ate there 3 times and had the same thing with a side salad. The side salad is a good mix of greens and additional veggies. There are other vegan options, but I liked this so much, it became my go to. If I lived in the area, I'd try other menu items. They also sell beer and wine. Highly recommend.

I've only ever ordered for delivery here. Today had an issue with a soup I ordered, mainly that I could only see/taste 2 ingredients and that the avocado was missing. Gazpacho and salsa shouldn't taste the same. A waste of time to even call the store - they didn't care and talk to you like you're... 😬 both of you ladies I spoke to. Not even an offer for credit or acknowledgement other than and a half breath sorry out of obligation? Very disappointed and happy to spend my money elsewhere.

I had never eaten at beyond bread before for its food items however plenty of times for their pies cause they are great! I stopped at this one and decided to sit down and eat. Oh goodness was that bread TOUGH. I couldn’t eat my sandwich like a sandwich. At the end of eating as I didn’t want to waste my food my mouth was hurting. I thought maybe it was just mine but it was an overall experience for my friends who I was eating there with. They had different menu items that all were served with different breads and their bread was tough. I wouldn’t want to insinuate but although it didn’t taste stale the bread had that lack of moisture as if left out for more than 1-2 days to harden up. The reason for my rate was that and honestly it tasted very good but that bread being nearly impossible to eat is what did it for me. I love their pies as they’re small, well priced and delicious! This isn’t the end all be all. I still would want to give the food another chance. Like I said very tasty just hard to eat.

LOVE this place. Service is always spectacular AND the food and pastries are fresh and just perfect. Every worker that I’ve interacted with has been such a sweetheart. My favs are: - fruit tart - chicken salad w/ EXTRA dressing - and the Mac and cheese

Only rating the food since this was delivery for us. My bf and I are on a mission to try every sandwich at Beyond Bread. Today we started with one I’ve had multiple times and it never disappoints. I am not a vegetarian but I love veggie based sandwiches. The Bailey’s Beet is one of the best I’ve had. Beautiful, fresh greens, cucumbers, sliced beets, an herby goat cheese spread, balsamic drizzle; all on their delicious house-made focaccia. Today, even though it’s not soup weather in Tucson, we got it with a side of the tomato basil soup (insert chef’s kiss)! If you have a chance, give this a try! Not sure which sandwich we will try next but I’ll be sure to share when we do!

Beyond Bread is an outstanding spot for fresh, flavorful food. The sandwiches and baked goods are always made with quality ingredients and taste amazing. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, making it a great place to grab a quick bite or sit down and enjoy a meal. The staff provides excellent service—friendly, attentive, and efficient. The restaurant is clean and well-kept, and the location is convenient. Overall, Beyond Bread delivers a consistently great dining experience and is easily one of the best places to eat in the area. Highly recommended!

Local chain in the Tucson/Arizona area, but so worth a stop! The portion sizes are generous, food was delicious, and the staff were so kind!

I've never had a bad meal here, and when I was looking for a place to eat off Campbell in the University area of Tucson I went to BB. I promptly asked for two pretzel loaves sliced, a cinnamon roll, a magic bar (which they forgot to put in my bag) and also ordered a turkey club. This is made with real turkey, not processed. The sandwich is a double decker, simply two big to eat in one sitting. For my side I ordered their tomato basil soup, some of the best I've had.

Time Market is a unique restaurant and cafe in Tucson that offers a grocery store setting. It's popular among college students, locals, and visitors alike. The establishment serves up delicious pizza, subs, espresso drinks, and beer on tap. In addition to its food offerings, Time Market takes pride in curating its wine selection with the help of Sommelier Arielle DeSoucey. The place also boasts an impressive coffee menu featuring various blends and specialty drinks like mochas and lattes.
The staff was all friendly and pleasant. The pizza slices are pretty big. We tried pep and the daily special. They were good, but the crust was a little too thin and not enough crunch for my taste. I bought some cookies too and my wife loved them.

I’m visiting Tucson for a week, and I’ve already gone to this place for lunch twice and I’m planning to go back again today. Highly recommend! I’ve only had sandwiches, but everything they sell here (cookies, pastries, pizza, salad, etc) looks so good. They have a good selection of beers, wines, and other grocery items as well. If you want a local, communal space to eat and chill when visiting Tucson, this is the place!
Bogeum C — Google review
I highly recommend coming here and trying the Margherita pizza and molasses cookies (no photo lol)! So delicious! This place does not disappoint. It does get crowded and loud. Minimal table seating inside but they do have patio seating. If going with others, I recommend getting a table first, then getting in line to place your order. Coffee bar is a great touch and smell to the space. Enjoy!
Veronica — Google review
The atmosphere is so cute with it being a cafe plus a grocery store. Great place to get some work done with good, fresh food. Highly recommend the matcha latte with honey and the breakfast sandwich. I also got the chocolate croissant which I found to be kind of hard.

Loved this gem! Pizza was fire, loved the aesthetic, how things flowed in the space, and the variety of all that they offered for food and drink. Stopped here for lunch before as well as dinner with a friend. Loved the size of pizza, that they tables weren't off balance, and that it was a space that has great energy.

Awesome experience eating dinner here. It was recommended by a local. Love the concept of the small specialty groceries around the perimeter and the restaurant up front and on the side with more seating in the center of the eclectic space. Wished they had Coke Zero, but I get it-they’re known for their specialty beers on tap and wines. If you need a ton of Kombucha options-this is the place! I ordered the chicken and tamal plate and it was amazing. Wish I would have gotten a pic. Highly recommended!!

Nestled in the heart of east-central Tucson, Dedicated is a charming family-owned bakery and coffee shop that specializes in gluten-free delights. This inviting spot features a cozy patio where you can enjoy an array of seasonal flavors without worrying about gluten. From savory vegan veggie quiche to sweet treats like gingerbread loaf and cinnamon pull-apart bread, there's something for everyone.
Love love love! They have vegan, nut free, dairy free, and even low sugar options. And of course EVERYTHING is gluten free. It’s so nice to have a bakery where you can freely choose anything on display as a gluten intolerant person. I go there at least once a week and they made my wedding and anniversary cake. Not only are all of their pastries delicious but they also put in the effort to make them look cute. The staff is very friendly and will always make you feel welcome
Katerina G — Google review
We were in Tucson for the weekend and found this bakery. All the food we tried was great! And I love that not only is everything gluten free, but a ton of stuff is vegan as well and they call out on the vegan items if it has soy. The orange cranberry muffin and lemon bars are delicious as was their A-Train breakfast. The drinks were a bit hit and miss. The iced mocha was delicious! The London fog was unfortunately overly sweet and the green tea tasted burnt.

Everything is gluten free!!!! We came in town for a conference and I thought I’d venture out and explore the local eats, and this place did not disappoint. The gluten free sourdough is so unique and buttery and delicious. Really enjoyed the gluten free brownie!!! The frosting was tasty and creamy and the brownie chewy and not gritty. They’ve really done a great job with the recipes!! The atmosphere was so cute! Love the all inclusive decor!

My go to bakery for peanut free and vegan cakes and dessert. This is now the only bakery in Tucson that can accommodate people with food allergies. The baked goods are out of this world delicious, and you literally can't tell it's vegan or has been modified for a food allergy. I'm not a vegan but I have vegan friends, and I've tried to make a vegan cake and no just no it turned out horribly from texture to taste. I don't know what sort of magic goes on in the kitchen but the taste of everything in this bakery is wonderful and the texture is perfect. I have tricked people by making them take a bite of a baked good and later telling them it was vegan, and they are always surprised. I'm so happy this bakery exists my only wish is that it was closer to my home and not a 45 to an hour drive away depending on traffic.
Mandy — Google review
Dedicated created an absolutely gorgeous personal wedding cake for our big day this past April! We had a tasting, which was so easy and effortless, and proceeded with our selections after a lot of deliberation- there's so many options! Which is incredible when you're both gluten and dairy free. The frosting work was everything we dreamed of- so beautiful! The other desserts for our table were so delicious, there wasn't a single item left at the end of the night! [Photos by In Bloom Images]

Heavily debated between a 1 or a 2 star review because my club sandwich was so good, but just under an hour wait time for my food was insane. Went a couple days ago and there were about 8 other people there, 5 people were already seated with their orders, so only 3 and myself waiting for food. There were at a minimum of 6 different employees on shift (i had the time to notice them all coming outside the kitchen at different times) and yet everyone who ordered had to wait at least 30 minutes (on the low end, and that is not taking into account how long the first person to get their food was there for before I arrived). It was bad enough to where the lady who ordered her food AFTER me went up to ask why it was taking so long. After 30 minutes the guy at the front apologized and said they were working on it. at 55 minutes I told him to please just refund me so I could leave. My food came out right as he said he was going to check on it. Not only is an hour wait outrageous at any food place, but even worse when there are so many employees working and only 4 people waiting on food. Liked my sandwich a lot but not worth a wait longer than 15 minutes let alone 55.
Juan A — Google review
I enjoyed this wonderful bakery and super helpful staff. Thank you so much for going above and beyond to help answer my questions on ingredients and recommendations to avoid corn. They were very caring and knowledgeable on allergens. The chickpea salad and sourdough bread was amazing! Generous portions and I was more than happy with the desserts, cheesecake and pumpkin bread. Definitely will come back!
Monica — Google review
Dedicated, delicious and definitely in demand~ I arrived within an hour of closing and got a freshly prepared Chicken Sammwhich, the picture speaks for itself, I added on their rice paper bacon which is the best bacon I've tasted in over 30 yrs of not eating pork. Mild peppers sauteed and tender. I could taste The herbs on the chicken to my delight. The gluten free bread was soft, and lightly toasted. The Bakery has an impressive variety of baked goods to choose from. You'll also find unique gifts from local artisans including hand crafted soaps and other sweet stuff. Good value for the price. Eating regular bread always makes me feel bad, I'm so happy to find this place for options even though I'm not officially allergic to gluten it's my preference to go without whenever possible. Can't wait till breakfast to have the pumpkin bread with chocolate chips

Blue Willow Restaurant & Gift Shop is a beloved Tucson establishment that has been serving up delicious, from-scratch dishes since 1978. The restaurant is housed in an old adobe home and features a charming patio that is perfect for enjoying a leisurely meal with friends. The menu offers a variety of health-focused comfort foods, including hearty omelettes and other breakfast favorites. Recently updated, the outside patio space provides a delightful dining experience surrounded by green foliage.
A wonderful friend and I had a superb experience this afternoon for our breakfast/lunch choices. I enjoyed the Tofu Scramble with a side of brown rice and tortillas while my friend had the Two Eggs Any Style dish with a side of fruit. We also had the Hummingbird cake. Our server was Anthony J., he was truly awesome in every way. He was very patient while we decided what to eat/drink, and attentive as well as friendly the entire time. We both also cherished the warm comforting environment and the adorable gift shop as well.

I enjoyed the mixed berry crepe with a side of bacon. The crepe is filled with vanilla yogurt and berries. The bacon was thick and cooked perfectly. It was very tasty. The portion size was good. I visited in early July and it was 90 degrees outside. I sat on the covered patio and it was comfortable. I look forward to visiting again!

We had a pleasant lunch. The food was delicious. The service was excellent. One person got angry at me for walking through a waiting area on my way to the restroom. The selection on the menu was excellent. I was able get the exact lunch I wanted. So did my mother. Mother was able to get the exact drink to mark the occasion. Nice food, nice people (except for the stiff arm lady) excellent selection and excellent service. I would highly recommend you try the place. Just be careful of that lady on your way to the bathroom!!

Good service, everything came out fast, I try the ice mocha with oat milk was good! Also the Benedict eggs with a poblano sause on top with potatoes I recommend this one and the chili soup is really good. They have a nice gift shop.

Wow! Had the chicken panini and the chicken and waffles and the three egg omelette. First off they have the best home fries that I've had thus far in Tucson! I had the three egg omelet with home fries. But I tried the chicken panini and the chicken and waffles and about fell out of my chair. Those were amazing. We also got a Nutella French toast to go and it was amazing as well. I highly recommend this place to others that will be returning if for anything the home fries.

Had a great meal at Blue Willow! Tried the huevos rancheros and the breakfast burrito both were delicious and full of flavor. The huevos had just the right balance of spice and texture, and the burrito was hearty without being too heavy. What really stood out was the excellent service our server was friendly, attentive, and made the experience even better. Definitely a place worth coming back to when in Tucson!

Got lavender blueberry lemonade and Blue Willow Special, plus pinto beans and toast. The lemonade is a pretty great blend of sweetness and sourness. And the eggs with chicken were pretty unique. Also the restaurant is quite subtly modern, whoevers running their tech/publicity/merch knows their stuff

5 Points Market & Restaurant is a modern and well-lit establishment that offers New American cuisine, espresso drinks, and a small grocery market. Recently introducing their first-ever happy hour, they offer discounts on wine by the glass, half-priced bottles, and staff-picked canned drinks to pair with items from the happy hour snacks menu. The restaurant's commitment to sustainability and fair treatment of employees makes it worth visiting not only for its delicious food but also to support its values.
I have been travelling around the US for 2 weeks and eaten at a lot of restaurants. I came here for breakfast. The huevos rancheros was by far the best meal I've eaten in the States. I came back for dinner and the hamburger was also superb. I ordered the Beats and Avacado as a side. Again, spectacular. Glad I came to Tucson

From the moment you arrive, you can feel the positive vibe from the entire staff. They’re super friendly and welcoming. As soon as you sit down, they walk you through the menu — they tell you about the house specialties, the dish of the day, and what’s been the most popular breakfast item that week. You can tell they truly know and have tasted what they’re recommending. I highly recommend coming here for breakfast. The menu is minimalistic, but every dish is crafted with incredible attention to detail and quality. The place is very clean, peaceful, and has a relaxed, cozy atmosphere. They also have an outdoor seating area with little tables and chairs — perfect for enjoying a coffee outside. One thing I really appreciated was how the team’s passion shines through. They’re not just reading the menu to you — they genuinely care about what they’re serving, and you can feel it. On this visit, I ordered the smoked salmon eggs benedict. The presentation was impeccable: it came with a fresh salad dressed with a house-made balsamic vinaigrette, a delicious potato cake with mustard seeds, and the main event — two perfectly poached eggs on a house-made bread (light, airy, and perfectly baked), topped with a rich, creamy hollandaise sauce and high-quality smoked salmon. Everything was beautifully balanced in flavor and texture. The coffee was excellent too, and the service was quick without ever feeling rushed. It’s an ideal spot for a relaxed breakfast, whether you’re with a partner or family. Without a doubt, highly recommended — not just for the food, but for the whole experience.

This is a must go to spot while my wife and I are in town. If you only have time for one visit go with the juevos rancheros and add the pork. It is amazing. My daughter and I both had pancakes which were tasty and filling. Plus they have adult beverages which added a nice touch.

This was a great spot for breakfast/brunch in Tucson. The staff was consistently friendly and attentive from the first greeting at the host/hostess stand and throughout the breakfast service. There was no wait when we arrived late morning on a Saturday. The coffees were excellent - a Vanilla latte with housemade syrup and a matcha. The banana bread was outstanding, warm and chocolatey; a great complement to the warm beverages. The Smoked Salmon Benedict on a English Muffin and the Huevos Rancheros with pork shoulder were both outstanding. Excellent flavors, nice portions, affordably priced. The pancakes on the adjacent tables were impressively. This is a great spot for a relaxed, casual breakfast/brunch, excellent food, cozy dining environment, friendly staff.

It’s been a while since I’ve been here, but I still remember how amazing the kouign-amman was. The crust was balancing the slight saltiness of rosemary cream filling perfectly, it was nothing like I’ve ever eaten. This pastry would be the reason I would return. As for brunch, I found the Eggs Benedict portion quite small (especially considering the price). Overall it’s a nice little place in Barrio Viejo.

I am a huge foodie and from CA where we have a plethora of delicious organic culinary experiences. This place had the best burger and steak I’ve ever had, oh my goodness they were to die for. Customer service was excellent and loved the paintings they had up for sale. Was a pleasant surprise and relief to eat here because most other restaurants in Tucson do not have fresh food. Will def be back and eat here several days in a row next time to try their entire menu!
Gracie C — Google review
We had pretty high expectations for this place for being out of towners - saw it on many travel blogs and posts so thought it would leave us feeling satisfied. The food itself was pretty good, but not as flavorful as expected and the location/place itself was also a bit disappointing. Staff was friendly and attentive.

If you’re looking for a spot that embodies the perfect blend of delicious food and laid-back ambiance, look no further than Five Points Market & Restaurant. My recent visit was nothing short of delightful, starting with the star of the meal—a burger that was nothing short of spectacular. The burger was expertly crafted with in-house made brioche buns that were soft yet sturdy enough to hold the juicy patty and fresh toppings. Each bite was a symphony of flavors, perfectly complemented by the correctly prepared fries. These fries were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, and when dipped in the burger sauce, they reached a whole new level of amazing. It’s the kind of combination that keeps you coming back for more. To wash it all down, I ordered a Tom Collins cocktail that was made to perfection. Refreshing with just the right balance of sweetness and citrus, it paired beautifully with my meal and added to the overall experience. The ambiance at Five Points is incredibly chill, making it a great place to unwind after a long day. The inviting decor, coupled with a large selection of wine on the shelf, creates a welcoming atmosphere that encourages you to linger a little longer. Plus, if you're looking to take a piece of the experience home, they offer some great merchandise like hats and t-shirts that make for perfect souvenirs. Overall, Five Points Market & Restaurant successfully combines fantastic food, a relaxed vibe, and excellent drink options. I can’t recommend it enough for anyone in search of a great burger experience. I will definitely be back for more!

Gourmet Girls Gluten Free Bakery/Bistro is a vibrant and colorful cafe and bakery in Tucson, Arizona. Founded by Mary Steiger and Susan Fulton, it's known as the city's original 100% gluten-free dedicated bakery and bistro. The establishment offers a diverse menu featuring breakfast, brunch, lunch, savory dishes like egg sandwiches, pasta, pizza as well as an ever-changing selection of beautifully decorated gourmet cakes, cupcakes, cookies and more.
Amazing gluten free restaurant! Their baked goods and food are really good! I tried their prickly pear cupcake and it was really good. The prickly pear filling was to die for. Some of the cookies I bought were a little dry but they were Christmas cookies that were on a shelf so it was to be expected. I got the patty melt which was on a Parmesan bread. Super flavorful. I also got onion rings and the breading was really good. They also don’t use a lot of salt in their food so if you are sensitive to sodium this would be a great option for you. I am not even allergic to gluten but I tried this place out to get some cookies for a relative and decided to eat in the restaurant when I realized it wasn’t just a bakery. Definitely give this place a try even if you aren’t sensitive to gluten!!

I love bakeries, and this happened to be next to another place we were visiting. Decided to go in and grab a few things for the road back to Murrieta, CA. Grabbed the peanut butter and Ginger Snap cookies and was convinced to grab the last cinnamon roll. So I glad I did, it was just as amazing as the girl behind the counter said it would be. The cookies were great as well. A little pricey for me but well worth it if you can't have gluten and still want to have sweet treats. I do regret not getting a cupcake and trying the loaves they have. Will be back when I'm in Tucson visiting family. Highly recommend, please try them! Customer service was great as well. The girl behind the counter was very sweet.

Super friendly staff and really awesome gluten free food options. Came in around 9am today on 06/23/25 and got two breakfast sandwich’s and the chicken tender appetizer. First time I’ve eaten out since I developed a severe gluten allergy over a year ago. That breakfast sandwich and those chicken tenders are a must try! :) loved the BBQ sauce.

%100000000 recommend!! This is the BEST dedicated gluten free restaurant in Tucson!!! The staff is super friendly and the food is spectacular!!!!!! My friend and I went this Thursday and started with the spinach and artichoke dip. It was spectacular. The pita bread was savory and cheesy by itself. And was really nice with the dip. My friend ordered the chicken bacon ranch salad and she said it was a really nice balance of toppings to lettuce, light and filling. I couldn't decide, as a celiac I never find gluten free chicken fried steak so I had to order that. It was the right choice, crispy and crunchy and full of flavor. How could I say no to a lemon poppyseed waffle. It was delicious delectable goodness. The only sad part is I live over an hour away. I wish I lived closer I would be here everyday!!!! This spot is perfect for brunch with your friends or a solo working breakfast trip!!!

Okay drumroll: we ordered 1. A Reuben with onion rings 2. A pizza 3. Loaded ranch bacon fries. ALL AMAZING!!!! We even came back a second day for a crunchy chicken parm with pesto sandwich and cinnamon rolls + lemon pound cake to go. I have been gluten free for 15 years and this was hands down the best gluten free meal with gluten free bread that I have ever enjoyed. “Rye” bread for the sandwich was unbelievable. I hope more folks find this perfect spot because I hope to return when I’m back in town!

Appreciate the fact they have gluten free baked goods and food, however the flavor was lackluster. The pancake had a wonderful appearance but the taste wasn’t even close to a pancake made with wheat flour. Same with the vegan gluten free cupcake. It looked amazing but the taste was meh. Scrambled eggs were good because they were drenched in something: butter, oil? The cashier who helped me was lovely, helpful and friendly but didn’t appreciate the male cook coming out of the kitchen to stare at me for several minutes because I wore a medical mask. Why? Because I’m immunosuppressed thanks to a brain tumor. This behavior by the cook was completely unacceptable and vile. Shame on them for treating a dying customer that way. This cafe isn’t in the heart of Tucson but rather further out. They seem to have a loyal following and my review won’t matter but I hope they make a point of treating medically ill customers will respect in the future. You never know what someone is dealing with.

What a unique place and experience. From the waitress making me laugh the moment I walked in to the amazing and unique food options. You are a hidden gem for Tucson. I made the mistake of just getting a chicken salad sammich when the others got bacon pumpkin seed waffles and your special monte Christo. Not that it was bad but it wasn’t anything special. I knew better. When in Rome, buy the crazy Roman options. ;) My friends were blown away with this options. I was blown away at how you cater to those that need special foods. Clearly you know what you’re doing and your breakfast and baking options are brilliant. Keep up the amazing work and push your breakfast menu. That’s where it’s at. Look forward to coming back and being smarter about going for what you specialize in. I don’t know her name but the waitress this past Tuesday at 9am is an amazing human and you’re blessed to have her.

Village Bakehouse is a charming locally owned bakery and cafe in Tucson, offering a delightful array of freshly baked goods, sandwiches, and desserts. The bakery is renowned for its scratch-made pies, with the holiday season being an especially bustling time as they prepare thousands of pies using fresh ingredients like apples and pumpkin pie filling. Owners John and Nancy McKearney are dedicated to creating artisanal baked goods that capture the essence of a village kitchen.
amazing!!! stopped in for breakfast & we got the stuffed french toast & an omelette. both were delicious. service is friendly & the atmosphere is very warm & inviting. great prices for the pastries.

Village Bakehouse is all about great tasting, fresh food for breakfast or lunch. We had coffee and pastries! Yum! The Buttermilk Cinnamon Roll was perfection! We also tried the Cinnamon Crunch Roll. The specialty coffees were great. There was indoor and outdoor seating. It was not a scenic view as it overlooked a busy parking lot. It felt a bit pricey, but the food was exceptional. We sat at a table outdoors and waited for our coffee. We were unaware of the process. It appeared that we were to wait inside for our beverages. I look forward to returning to try their lunch menu. I've heard their cakes are amazing.

Great little bakery Café with a lot of variety to choose from for pastries and desserts. The coffee was not fantastic, but they do have a lot of different options, including flavored lattes. The service was very good. The croissant on the breakfast sandwich was nice and fluffy, but the sandwich itself was nothing that special. However, the cinnamon scones were very tasty and made very well. There is both indoor and outdoor seating.

Cake Fail: Expectation vs Reality I ordered this cake from the “Coraline” movie for my teen sister’s birthday intended as a surprise…and a surprise it was, in the jumpscare kind of way. After researching custom cakes in the Tucson area, I came across Village Bakehouse. It was well acclaimed in online reviews and notable in local forums. I called to arrange a consultation per the website and was told I could come in, no appointment needed. I went within the next 30 minutes to receive a quote. I shared my desired outcome with pictures and told them I wanted a strawberry flavored cake with strawberry fruit filling. I explicitly expressed I wanted the design to be the same as the picture with the detailing of the lettering and snowflakes. Simple enough, right ? They said they could have it ready by the due date and I felt they addressed my needs so I agreed to their quote, paid, and sent the images via email. Walking out, I felt excited I’d be able to surprise my sister with her dream cake. To say I’m disappointed would be an understatement. I have a very hectic schedule and wasn’t able to see the cake until I got home from work. The fact that the design was pretty straight forward but the result reflected pure laziness baffled me. It’s not like I ordered this cake two days ahead of time! If they can't fulfill a service, then they need to hold off from providing that service until they can do so at the level at which they advertise they can. I know cakes are work but if you don’t plan to deliver just don’t take orders. After all isn’t this bakery supposed to reflect art at a skilled level ? I was willing to give grace had it been that the cake tasted as good as reviews mentioned. Again, sadly was not my experience. The cake was on the drier side & the strawberry fruit filling was nonexistent. The fondant used was way too sweet. It was honestly embarrassing presenting this to my family because I had expressed my enthusiasm of the vision turned reality from so-called professional bakery.

used to work here and the toxicity is crazy. food is good, but my birthday cake was a mess. even with my employee discount it was $40. The cakes here are beautiful i really expected better. you couldn’t pay me to go back

I have enjoyed sitting at this café with friends, but recently we bought a cake for my daughter’s 16th birthday. She has been wanting a cake from here ever since she tasted one at a good friend‘s party. We had a chance to work with Ryan and he helped us through every step of the process. He made it easy and even gave me a sneak peek before I ended up picking up the cake which he carried to my car. We had an overall an amazing experience, which is just awesome when you’re already doing so much other work planning a party. For me as the mom this was just as important as my daughter being so delighted by the cake. A huge thank you to Ryan!! Also the cake looked fantastic exactly what my daughter wanted and very delicious!! Friends, and family raved about it and I even directed a friend to Village bakehouse for her daughter’s party.

Had an amazing breakfast and the pastry selection was incredible. The outdoor seating area is roomy and they had heaters on since it was chilly in the morning time. The breakfast burrito and stuffed french toast were tasty. Coffee was also pretty good and had a lot of flavor options.

If you haven't yet experienced the delightful offerings at HUB Ice Cream Parlor, it's time to make a visit! This charming spot is known for its seasonal flavors crafted from all-natural ingredients. Indulge in unique options like Mexican Wedding Cake, Pistachio Orange Blossom, and Bourbon Almond Brittle. For those seeking vegan choices, HUB has you covered too! In addition to their gourmet ice cream, HUB Ice Cream Parlor also bakes fresh Snickerdoodle and Chocolate Chip cookies daily.
Unique and tasty ice cream flavors, made-to-order waffle cones, and color-changing spoons! We got honey cornbread, Mexican wedding cookie, and coal, which I suspect is seasonal. The coal was a smooth textured coconut ice cream infused with charcoal to get the black/ grey color and was my favorite of the three. Mexican wedding cookie had whole bite-sized cookies in it which were delicious. Honey cornbread had chunks of cornbread in it that gave it a cake and ice cream like texture. The person working was super nice and made the waffle cone fresh for us and it was HEAVENLY. It stayed warm till the very end and was so perfectly crunchy and fresh tasting. A must get for sure! Also, the color-changing spoons are cold sensitive and super fun!

We live 45min away downtown. I was craving for a good ice cream. I asked my husband to have dinner in this place. He is not happy driving that far but since I haven't tried this place he took me. I was disappointment. The pistachio ice cream is not good at all. The chocolate ice cream is average. The food that we order is not so good too.
Shiela U — Google review
We tried pistachio, a bourbon almond, and a rotating Nutella flavor, and they were all delicious
Nicole T — Google review
My daughter wanted to good to the HUB, because they have the lavender ice cream. I tried different flavors to see which one I wanted. I did not like any of the flavors. I ended up getting regular chocolate. All these different flavors were not my cup of tea. I would have given them 3 stars, but since my daughter loved the ice cream there & gives them 5 stars. I will go off my daughter's assessment & give them 5 stars.
J R — Google review
Incredibly generous scoops, decent flavor selection, and very reasonable pricing. The best thing is that their spoons change color when cold. Made the experience level up as it was a fun surprise. Outside seating at a couple of tables and 3 tables inside, but close enough to a ton of other places to sit and eat when busy.
Ed W — Google review
Absolutely amazing ice cream. Good prices. Friendly staff. Cute building. Great atmosphere. Plenty of options of flavors and what you want to do with your ice cream (milkshake ect). Small indoor seating area and a few tables outside.
Chanell H — Google review
Minus a full two stars for the absolutely TERRIBLE service this afternoon. There is one person staffing the ice cream shop on an afternoon between Xmas and NYE. This group ordered two shakes - not at the same time, the guy made one, and then the other half of the group had to try half a dozen flavors before ordering another shake, which by the way - this guy takes about 10 minutes to make, so we've been waiting 20 minutes now, and six people just walked out. If I didn't already have my heart set on peppermint ice cream I would have left already.

CERES Pasta is a relatively new Italian restaurant that initially focused on takeout, allowing it to quickly adapt to the current climate. While they offer traditional bolognese and tomato & basil red sauces, they also feature weekly specials with different flavorful sauces. In addition to pasta, the restaurant offers soft focaccia and cookies. Customers can pre-order pasta for home cooking or opt for a $5 delivery service. The restaurant has limited hours but is worth the visit for its exceptional pasta dishes.
Stupendous literal hole in the wall pasta place in an alley of downtown Tucson. They typically sell out. Daily specials with mix and match pasta and sauce combinations, sandwiches and salads make it fun but not overwhelming. Heard the gelato is also amazing. They have outdoor seating in the alley so go on a nice day!

Excellent food with a great atmosphere. The weekly pasta special and gelato/sorbet are well done and thoughtful. I wish I was local and could keep coming back for more when the menu changes!

The best pasta spot!! We look forward to the weekly pasta and gelato special. But we also love the staples too. Great outdoor spot. Friendly staff. Lots of shaded picnic tables. You’re able to order a cocktail Jojo’s and enjoy it with your pasta.
Courtney W — Google review
AMAZING. We were blown away at how good the food was, I expected great things and was not disappointed. The Pesto with the shortcut plus a Burrata ball was 12/10. My bf got the bolognese and said it was one of the best he's ever had, and he's extremely picky when it comes to red sauces. We also took two cannoli's to go and they made them fresh, so good.
Sarah F — Google review
Loved the vibe, a very unique whole in the wall with incredible pasta and delectable soft serve. I had their daily special pasta and a creme fraîche soft serve.

Love this place! My friend and I have been going here every other week for the past year and they have never disappointed! Their gelato flavors change every week, so there’s a small downside with limited time/missing out on different flavors. However, their gelato flavors are always so delicious, even the ones that seem eccentric.

Popular spot so be ready to wait a while. Solid pasta. Would’ve been a 5-star review but I when I asked an employee if they have black pepper she spoke in a condescending tone stating “uh not really” before walking away. I understand y’all are busy, but it wasn’t a wild request.

With cozy booth seating and an inviting atmosphere, this cafe has been delighting patrons for over 25 years. Known for its house-roasted coffee, which is prepared on-site weekly, Le Buzz also boasts a full espresso bar that serves as the heart of the establishment.
Great place is fresh, homemade food, excellent coffee they roast themselves, homemade pastries and a friendly atmosphere, it's definitely worth checking out. Oddly delicious! I usually ask what's most popular and try that. Here it was the Blueberry Brisket Bacon burger. I liked it. Blueberries don't overpower it. Great dipping sauce for the waffle fries too. I also orders a very fruity drink. Tasty! I think it was orange, strawberry and lemons or something like that.
Andy V — Google review
We had a short stay in Tucson and were on the hunt for a great breakfast spot—LeBuzz at Plaza Palomino turned out to be just the place! Despite it being a bustling Sunday morning, we were able to order within just a few minutes and snag one of the last available tables. We shared their LeBuzz Breakfast Burrito, which was outstanding: a perfectly griddled flour tortilla stuffed with two scrambled eggs, home fries, applewood-smoked bacon, sharp cheddar, and pico de gallo, accompanied by a tangy tomatillo salsa. Even though we’re not huge pancake fans, their blue corn blueberry buckwheat pancakes caught our eye—and we’re so glad we tried them; they were incredibly tasty! We topped it all off with a Vietnamese Coffee that was pleasantly not too sweet. LeBuzz’s space is impressive, with two patio areas and two indoor dining spaces, plus a tempting display of fresh-baked pastries. I got so wrapped up in the delicious food that I completely forgot to snap close-up photos—a small regret for sure. But if you’re in Tucson, I highly recommend giving LeBuzz a try (they have two locations). The food and friendly service made our short visit unforgettable! JS 😉

My boyfriend and I absolutely love this breakfast spot! I actually found it on Instagram through @kimmyeatstucson—a fellow Filipina foodie—and I’m so glad I did! I’m a big breakfast/brunch girl, and this place has quickly become our favorite. The food is always delicious, the staff are super friendly, and ordering is easy. I’ve been living in Tucson for 2 years, and since discovering this gem in January, we’ve been coming every weekend—sometimes even 3 times a week (no shame 😆). We’re proud to call ourselves certified regulars. More power to this amazing place! 💛

After an invigorating bike ride up Mt. Lemmon, my family and I were craving a breakfast spot that felt both comforting and indulgent. Le Buzz in Tucson, Arizona, proved to be exactly that. Having loved the Tanque Verde location before, I was eager to see how this one would compare—and it did not disappoint. We chose to dine outside, right beside a gentle fountain. The soft murmur of water brought an immediate calm, soothing the kids and settling our post-ride energy. I ordered a seasonal coffee, Cinnamon Buttermilk, and every sip was perfection: rich, smooth, and warmly spiced. For breakfast, I went with the “American in Paris”, a choice inspired by their exceptional bakery. Every bite confirmed it—flaky, flavorful, and thoughtfully prepared. The space itself is charming, with details that feel intimate and welcoming. Le Buzz isn’t just a café—it’s a hidden gem where atmosphere, taste, and family moments converge beautifully. If you find yourself in Tucson, it’s an absolute must-visit for breakfast.
Pachi S — Google review
So, I went here early Sunday morning here. I didn't know that it was there honestly. Le Buzz is back away from Swan, at the backside of a business complex, so it's not visible from the street at all. As you walk into Buzz, the order counter is to your left. There is a long attractive display of pastries and baked goods. I chose an everything bagel toasted and coffee Americano. One thing Buzz might consider would be putting some basic nutritional info on the food display - at least caloric info. I chose to sit inside around the corner from where you pay (there is a room with tables as well as a counter, where we chose to sit). I was there at 7am, and it began to get busy after I arrived. The noise level wasn't bad tho. Buzz also has several outdoor areas (front and back) should you chose to dine there. The food was very good. I was amazed by how uniformly golden brown my bagel had been toasted. Just remarkable! I would recommend Le Buzz. It looked like a trendy crowd, the food was fresh and both looked and tasted good. I only downgraded on the service, which seemed a bit long. But I'm not complaining, the staff was warm and very helpful!
Tod P — Google review
My little family and I were having a rough start to our morning when we arrived at Le Buzz. The staff was so welcoming and friendly. In the middle of my son’s coughing fit, we decided to pack up our food. Isaac, whom was at the register packed up some fresh salsas and jam that we didn’t get to finish during our meal. He was very attentive and friendly. I highly recommend this place!

After hearing so much buzz around lebuzz I finally decided to check it out, and I can honestly say I’m a fan! The food was great but the service i received is what will keep me coming back. A very clean, but busy restaurant and a friendly staff. SIERRA, took care of us and she was very kind, proficient, and well versed on the menu. She was very attentive and helpful the entire experience. 10/10 would recommend.

Farmers' market
Heirloom Farmers Market in Rincon Valley is a vibrant Saturday destination that goes beyond just groceries. Nestled under the iconic green and white barn, this market showcases an impressive array of locally sourced produce, freshly roasted coffee, and delicious baked goods. You can indulge in mouthwatering ready-to-eat options like rotisserie chicken paired with crispy roast potatoes or explore unique artisan offerings such as handmade jewelry and clothing.
Best to go when they have their Winter Hours (October 1-March 31, Saturdays 9a-1p) as that is when the most vendors are there. Amazing vendors with the best (but expensive) strawberries, good prices however for fresh vegetables, Mexican, Turkish, American and Central Asian cooked food vendors, tortillarías, fresh juices, arts, crafts, soap, shea butter even knife sharpening!

Monsoon Chocolate Factory + Gift Shop, owned by Adam Krantz, has received numerous awards and accolades for its delectable chocolate products. The traditional chocolate bars are exceptional, while the snack items dipped in dark chocolate are heavenly. The hand-crafted bon-bons are intricate and delightful. The cafe and retail shop on the southside offer a unique blend of art and candy that will tantalize your taste buds.
Amazing artisan chocolate! Outstanding spot to highlight Tucson City of Gastronomy ingredients. Delightful chocolate, ethically sourced and made with precise beauty. I stoped by on Valentine’s Day treated my self to a Vegan chocolate tasting, paired with an oat milk macchiato. Every bite was beautiful. Great staff! They have all kinds of different chocolate options from hot chocolate, cacao nibs, bon bon’s, chocolate bars, and more. If you love chocolate or are looking for a gift this is a perfect choice. 🫶👍🏼

Our group of 10 enjoyed the tour. The guide was nice, but she showed a presentation on a tablet. I’d suggest hanging a TV on the wall so a large screen is visible to all. It was hard for my friend with vision issues to see. The $20 tour fee we each paid was extremely overpriced for the small size of the facility (not more than 1,000 sq ft) & for the time of the tour. Granted, many of the chocolate pieces are a stunning work of art. However, if you prefer milk chocolate you’re out of luck and will be very disappointed because everything is dark chocolate! It may SAY milk, but it’s all dark. I love supporting fair trade businesses, but the prices are very high. And, the cafe recently relocated so you can no longer stop here for a cafe treat or Mexican hot chocolate. Glad I went because I saw this business featured on Arizona Highways a year or so ago and wanted to check it out. I enjoyed the chocolate covered cashew brittle purchase, but wouldn’t return or really recommend.

My partner and I came here to celebrate Valentines Day, we got the choose your own box of 15 and every bonbon we ate was divine! We also got drinks, they got the Chai and I got the Cocoa Nibs Horchate which were both incredible. The atmosphere is really chill and there is enough space to sit and enjoy your chocolates. Would recommend this place for anyone who needs a gift or just wants to eat some amazing chocolate.

Delightful chocolate bars sourced from all over the cocoa growing world. Hand painted chocolates by the piece. Ice cream. Coffee. Interesting tea selections. Friendly, knowledgeable staff willing to engage and explain anything. Got a white chocolate mesquite bar and Madagascar dark. Coming back for house made ice cream. Shop/factory takes sanitation very seriously. No place to hang out inside. Get your ice cream and mosey on outside to the tables, Pardner. Also best hot latte I ever had in Tucson. Chocolate bars range from $9.99-11.99, had to take off a star because it’s priced so high you almost can’t enjoy eating your paycheck.

Gorgeous cafe (the atmosphere was seriously so delightful) with delicious pastries made from bean to bar chocolate. They were out of their single origin chocolate bars and bonbons but were upfront that it was because of the holiday slam (which is understandable). I had a Mexican hot chocolate and a s’more that was everything I wanted and more. Their more savory menu looked tasty, too.
Ginny R — Google review
OMG, anything with chiltepín pepper is a MUST TRY here. Also the almond praline was to die for. The coconut caramel tastes exactly like the coconut spread they put on toast in Singapore. Those were my favorites out of the eight chocolates that we tried. All the flavors were very well balanced and not too sweet and also BEAUTIFUL. Very Instagram worthy and also taste great which is a rare combination. This place has odd hours and their cafe isn't open for another week or so. Staff was really nice.

Their love for baking is obvious in everything they make and how they treat their customers like friends! I’ve tried every macaron in Tucson and this place takes the cake. Their flavor combos like bacon and fruity pebbles are epic. The succulent cupcakes are a staple for any desert party and even tastier than they look. Try them out and you won’t regret it!!!

Snack monster handled my son's birthday marvelously the cake, cake pops and cotton candy were all amazing. I took them an idea and they made it happen! Great customer service, staff always has a smile and willing to help! I will definitely use them again for my sons 3rd birthday party!

Their snacks and treats look stunning with crazy flexibility on custom orders, I was able to get some pretty neat Spider-Man cookies. My favorite snack has to be the PB&J macarons, they just can’t be beat. The whole staff is extremely friendly and the shop has a great atmosphere. 5 stars and 2 thumbs up, def recommend this to anyone wanting a cool looking tasty treat!

If you’re looking for something authentically “Tucson” and local, this is the place. They do catering for weddings and events too which I think is the cutest idea! If you’re near the Tucson Mall, it’s worth the trip inside. You can also order on Uber Eats 👏🏼.

Wildflower is a buzzing American restaurant with an upscale interior, patio seating, and stunning mountain views. The extensive dessert menu includes standout items like the Bars of Sin and warm Cinnamon Doughnuts. Located in Tucson, it offers a romantic ambiance with comforting cuisine reminiscent of family recipes. Additionally, it's conveniently situated for those looking to explore the area's wildflowers and hiking trails.
This is a fabulous little restaurant. We sat outside in the patio and it had great views of the mountains, was shaded, and the mist system kept it cool and refreshing. The calamari was the best I've ever had, and the short rib ravioli is what I will order next time. The scallops I ordered were great and the lemon grass skewer was a unique touch. I ordered 2 drinks because they were so good. And we ordered the Bars of sin for desert. It was perfect.

We came here for our anniversary on a friend’s recommendation, and we’re so glad we did. The food was amazing—fresh, delicious, and beautifully prepared. The little surprises they added for our anniversary made the night feel extra special and thoughtful. Coming from NYC, we can confidently say this restaurant truly meets the high dining expectations we’re used to. We’ll definitely be bringing our family here next time.

We went to Wildflower in Tucson and overall, it was a really nice experience. The vibe inside is a little loud, but not in a bad way. You can still talk and hear each other, you just gotta be a bit attentive. Parking wasn’t bad. The lot isn’t huge, but we still found free parking pretty easily. The inside is beautiful. It’s elegant and well put together, the kind of place where you’d want to take pictures… and of course, I forgot to take any before we started eating. Food-wise, I’d give it a 4 out of 5. It wasn’t mind-blowing, but it was still really good, especially for the price. Service was decent. It took a minute for the servers to get back to us, but to be fair, they were slammed the day we went. I gave them 5 stars overall because the experience was worth it. I’d go back.

Wow. I was bloon away with this beautiful restaurant. The service was a 10. The food well, gourmet. We had scallop dish, black rice and greens, seasoned to perfection. The artichoke appetizer was great. All the food was on point. The glasses on the table are clean and smudge free. The the desert named sin is a perfect ending. The attire can be casual. We were hesitant because we're are traveling through Arizona. A great friend recommended this restaurant and we are thankful. A special place.

Really enjoyed our meal, the shrimp bowl with quinoa was delicious and different. The side mac & cheese was also amazing. Glad they had some local beers to try as well, since we were visiting from out of town. Service was good

I enjoyed the Fish and Chips, kale strawberry salad, Asian potstickers. The donuts are freshly made and enough for two people. Make a reservation because it gets busy. The service was good and the waiter was attentive. I recommend Wildflower for a date night or special occasion. I look forward to returning!

What a beautiful eatery this is ! Loved the ambiance . Service was great . However , I would not recommend a vegan to eat here . I had to make sooo many modifications and 2 of 3 modified orders were incorrect . ( my salad still had cheese sprinkled in it & my falafel plate had sauce that wasn’t vegan ) . Yummy but just too difficult to modify here. All I ask for is just one entree on the menu completely vegan I don’t need to modify .

The service here is always spot on. The food is consistent, have not had a thing that I dislike here! Very nice patio seating, a great place for a date night! The short rib, salmon, and the special desert bar, highly reccomend!

Restaurant
Maynards Kitchen & Bottle Shop is a historic venue located in Tucson, offering a unique combination of a takeaway counter, gourmet shop, and bar with an eatery serving seasonal American cuisine. Housed in a historic train depot, the restaurant features high ceilings, vintage decor, and a charming outdoor patio. Known for its farm-to-table approach, Maynards emphasizes local and sustainable ingredients in its frequently changing menu. Some popular dishes include grilled octopus, duck confit, and smoked pork chop.
I've been going to Maynard's since they opened. Interestingly they either have the best food in Tucson or it's just eh. It depends on who the current chef is and their menu Some seasons I want to eat everything on the menu and some, I have a hard time finding anything. Right now it's the best meal in Tucson. We ordered 3 appetizers for 2 of us. We were going to order a fourth but we got full. I asked the server to pace the food and was promised that would happen, but of course everything came at once.

Pros: The roasted beet appetizer ($13) was great -- the beets were silky and the flavors were strong and went together nicely. The cocktails we got (City Slicker and Harvest Moon, both $15) were also flavorful and fun. The service was consistently amazing -- our waitress was helpful, knowledgeable, and attentive without hovering. The atmosphere inside the restaurant was nice. Cons: Unfortunately, almost everything else was mid. And it was way too expensive for almost everything to be mid. The beef tartare ($22) had a pretty good flavor and texture but came with the limpest French fries I've ever eaten. The oysters were $4.50 each, tiny, and generically fishy (though, to be fair, they had a great texture). The amuse bouche (complimentary) was a mealy, watery tomato over a grocery-store quality focaccia. We got two entrees: the seared divers scallops ($43) and the mushroom steak with mole ($27). All three of the scallops were cooked well, but there was no seared crust on any of them and they were very salty. The mushroom steak itself had a good flavor and bite, but the mole was uninspiring and the accompanying squash was undercooked and unseasoned. Like, raw pumpkin. But man. The dessert was so bad that it was funny. Maybe that's on us for getting a $12 deconstructed "cookies and milk" dessert, but even so. The "cookie milk" was the most offensive -- a generous pour of sour-smelling, clotting, unflavored milk. I got a chunk of soft floating milk fat in my last sip. We did not finish the milk. They definitely did something to it, but it didn't taste like cookies or anything. The "cookies" were a comically large pile of fine crumbs. Eating them was strongly reminiscent of the end of a nature valley granola bar, in both flavor and texture. The cookie was? Maybe a generic shortbread? The crumbs were paired with the tiniest smear of chocolate cremoso imaginable. This had a sad puddle of olive oil and some flaky salt on it. It was basically a tablespoon of pretty good chocolate ganache on the side of a mountain of, again, shortbread(?) cookie crumbs. We initially tried to sit outside, but there were loud (LOUD) trains going by every 3-7 minutes, 30 feet from the entire outdoor dining area. You could not hear the person across from you. In their defense, they moved us inside promptly and graciously as soon as we asked to move. Anyway, we used a gift card and had a good time laughing at the dessert. We won't be back unless someone else is paying and set on going here and nowhere else.

First time having dinner, make a note reservations are always best. We sat upstairs, very fancy, l felt a bit underdressed. Didn't really know what to expect, and when the host asks if you have questions, you should ask. I had the duck breast with root vegetables, it was delicious. My one friend had the chicken, and another friend had the mushroom risotto. Now when they said, "Would you like to add scallops?", they didn't say you would be paying 9.00 for each scallop. It should have said "each" on the menu. She said they were delicious, but it was a shock when the check arrived. We did receive a free mini panacotta before the meal and also had some roasted brussel sprouts. All and all it was delicious.

Love the historical setting and the way they have maintained the history. The menu had just recently changed, and everything was delicious. Our service was friendly and prompt. It was a lovely experience.

Maynards was recommended to me by a coworker, and it did not disappoint. The food was extremely flavorful and the portions were just right. We got to experience the first of their new summer menu. The atmosphere was intimate and neat since it’s located in an old train station. We got lucky to sit inside since we did not make a reservation, so I highly recommend making one in advance. My only wish was for the cocktails to be a tad bigger (sorry did not take a picture). Other than that it made for a perfect date night!

Just some of the best food we've had in Tucson! First I'll start with the decor and location. It's located at the Amtrak station building and is a very unique restaurant. Walking in you notice it's not a very large restaurant but is very quaint. The bar area to the right and down below via steps is the dining area. Old style like the Old Pueblo but stunning and beautiful as you'll see in the pictures. Our wait staff was John and he was an outstanding waiter, very personable. The rest of the wait staff was also friendly. Now for the food and drink. I ordered the Maynards Old Fashioned and it was one of the best I've had. Maynard's menu is seasonal so what you see today you might not see next month because this restaurant uses local/regional meats and produce. Yesterday Chef Brian Smith knocked it out of the park! We ordered the $75 per person course which is a 6-course meal with a dessert at the end. You'll see a 7th in my photos because we were celebrating my wife's birthday. She didn't like the churro dessert because the creme fraiche was too smoky but I thought it was fabulous (I like smokey food). You don't really know what you're getting as it's chef prepared and changes from day to day. I won't explain each course but when you look through the pictures you'll see how wonderful each dish looks and tastes even better. Our favorite was the steak course and the heirloom tomato course but everything was wonderful and we don't think it could have been any better. We'll be back for sure to try another round. Thanks Chef!

IMHO this is the best restaurant in Tucson right now. The train station setting very romantic, the staff very professional and friendly and the food outstanding. The menu changes frequently however it can be assured that the oyster mushrooms with caramelized whey and salsa Matcha Will be on the menu, do not miss it. The beef tartare was great As was the duck comfy with dirty rice.

I didn't stay here. I stopped by to play some slots... and let me tell you... this place is really really nice. A totally whole differant feel. Walking in right away u notice the ceiling... it's a back drop of the sky. It's crazy. I thought it looked pretty cool. And a nice bar in the middle and the games go all the way around it. If I happen to drive by this place again, I'll def stop again. Not sure about any thing else here. Rooms, no. Food, no.

UPDATE: Casino Del Sol called and different supervisor viewed the tapes and information and said that my boyfriend was no longer banned and that it was mishandled! Glad they made things right! Well, love this place but will not be back. My boyfriend and I had been gambling and drinking and during that time he was playing electronic roulette, and picked up a cell phone thinking it was his, again, alcohol was involved. When ordering a pizza before going to the room, he found the phone in his pocket and thinking it was mine, brought it to me. I said no. We turned it into security. They banned him for ten days saying he had it too long, he should have known. I tried to explain he didn't even know he had it . After he went to bed I went back down to try to explain what happen. We will be filing a complaint in the morning. If we were stealing a phone would we turn it in? Absolutely ridiculous. They said the lady said the phone was on then off. Perhaps it went dead? If they were watching the cameras as close as they said they could have easily have found us. I guess honesty doesn't pay

We stayed here 4 days. All the staff were very friendly and courteous. Our room was functional. I liked the toilet paper. I used the shampoo and soap that is provided by the hotel. So far so good, my hair hasn't turned colors. There's plenty of places to eat and they have a pool. You can gamble here. There's a spot in the lobby where they give out free stuff everyday. Things like cookie sheet, pans, pictures, warming trays. It's about 25 minutes from downtown.

The hotel was nice and within walking distance of the main casino. The only downside is there were no drinks you could buy from the reception area like most hotels and resorts have. They do have vending machines but nothing for a healthy and filling snack and no beer or alcohol sold. Even Hilton hotels have beer in the lobby.

My experience with this Hotel has been awful. I stayed in September under the terms of a courtesy night. Put the credit card on file for a deposit and checked out with no charges. SURPRISE...I get the credit card statement and there's a charge....$5.00 for a water bottle. Now mind you, had I used or taken it, I wouldn't hesitate to pay for it. I carry a half gallon water bottle with me at all times and I can get free water on the casino floor, so I had no need for water in the room. Top that charge off with this event. The evening I stayed, the fire alarm went off on the top 3 floors at 11:36 pm and people evacuated myself included. We evacuated to the pool courtyard (a closed courtyard..no way out). I'm booking it down 7 flights of steps not knowing if the building is gonna collapse, smoke is going to take over the stairwell, your mind races about the danger when a real alarm and emergency is activated. 30 mins later, NO ONE comes to the courtyard. Eventually we start filing back inside and guess what, it's business as usual. They didn't even know the alarm went off, their fire alarm system failed to notify them. They didn't address evacuated people and Invite them back inside. They didn't offer an explanation or an apology for being falsely evacuated. They didn't contact us and say " we're checking the situation we'll let you know when it's safe to go back to your room". Absolutely no communication from NOT ONE member of this business. I'm thrust out of a dead sleep in the middle of the night, to be evacuated and then dismissed by personnel, staff and management. You think I'm paying for a water bottle, I didn't drink. Fighting this charge.

Beautiful, clean rooms. Awesome pool with excellent pool side service. Only downfall is that the casino keeps its air conditioning way too cold in addition to the restaurants on the casino floor. The Cafe à La C'Art is a luxurious cafe located in the Tucson Museum of Art with an arty interior or on the lovely brick patio. It serves American fare with Southwest flavors, and welcomes dogs at six outdoor tables.
This place was such an amazing experience. The Grilled Salmon and Rice Noodle salad was easily the best salad I've ever had in my adult life. The salmon was the best tasting salmon I've ever eaten outside of rural Alaska (when I would catch them fresh and eat them the same day) I could not believe the salmon was this good out in the desert! The flavor exceeded my consciousness. That's saying a lot since I like maximum flavor. This salad was truly a work of art. I will be coming back here with my wife and family as often as we can. I would recommend anything they make 10 fold.

Finding this place was an adventure in itself. Right behind the Museum of Art. It was amazing all around. Service was very friendly and accommodating. And the food! So delicious. Those rosemary potatoes had me addicted honestly. You really get the overall experience here and I am almost tempted to call this my new favorite breakfast/bunch place just from my first visit. I definitely recommend this place.

We decided that this was the place to host our daughter’s graduation Brunch event for 22 guests. That decision was one of the best I have ever made! From the very early days of planning to the end of the 2 -hour event, the experience was 5-star all the way. Communication was responsive and accommodating as I worked with Mark, co-owner, and the other catering managers, Channa and Christian. This is a YES business, meaning all of my requests were welcomed with an open mind and a positive approach to making it work. I was so impressed with the sweet, friendly, fast-acting and very attentive servers, Leah and Sara. The food, the setting, the accommodations, the welcoming smiles – honestly EVERYTHING was so far beyond my expectations, I couldn’t be happier. My daughter was over the moon and loved every bit of it. Thank you, Café à La C'Art team, you made a difference in our lives by serving as a backdrop to an unforgettable family memory. If you are reading this and considering this team for a special event…do it. You will have no regrets!

The place is beautiful. The artwork is beautiful and the vibe the outdoor seating is so serene and peaceful, but the food just did not cut it for me. I ordered the Chilaquiles with an over easy egg. They were extremely salty to the point where I could not swallow them. They were not hot. The only thing I was able to eat off my plate was the egg and the avocado the staff never came to check on us, but not towards the end. Did somebody come and asked me if I wanted a box for my food she clearly saw that I did not eat anything did not ask me if there was something wrong with it. I told her no thank you. I would maybe come back to get a coffee, but the food just did not cut it for me.

Rocco's Little Chicago is a casual pizza joint in Tucson that offers Chicago-style pies, breadsticks, wings, and more in a nostalgic setting. The owner, Rocco DiGrazia, hailing from Chicago, brings the flavors of his hometown to the Old Pueblo. The pizzeria is known for its creative pies and monthly specials where customers can suggest ideas.
Delicious! Atmosphere was great. Got a Chicago Fire deep dish and a pesto thin crust pizza. Both were excellent. Service was great. Little bit of a wait but so worth it! Enjoy!
Ben L — Google review
I've had Rocco's on my list for several years, so long that my Waze took me to their old location first but I immediately just knew it was down one building. We visited at about 2:30 PM, so it was nice, slow and quiet when we were seated. Our server was really nice, quickly brought us some iced water and took our order - dozen medium wings, the spicy hot sticks, kitchen sink pizza and a cannoli to top it off. My hubs is the wing guy, he said they were very tasty. The spicy sticks were good with a nice bit to them. We did the thin crust, and I do love that they cut it into squares... makes for easy eating and you do not have to commit to an entire slice. The cannoli is apparently house made, a cinnamon like flavor and was really yummy even though I barely had room. Our server was pretty slow after taking our initial order, partially due to shift change as it was nearing 4 and got much busier but it was a little frustrating to have to keep waving down for boxes and check.

Deep dish pizza is awesome! I’m from Chicago and it was very tasty! However, the staff is nothing but rude and unfriendly. I received an attitude, almost an argument from the gal at the desk (asked her name but she wouldn’t give it to me). Then after sitting down we received attitude from the waitress. I wanted a soda but she never came back to our table to see if I needed anything or how our meal was, so never got my drink. Again, pizza is good, staff needs customer service training immediately. If they worked for my business they would be fired.

The food was so good! Honestly the deep dish pizza is a must when you visit. I was so ready to dig in as soon as the food arrived completely forgot to take photos of the food before any bites were taken. But that’s a good thing! Loved it. And the place where Rocco’s new building sits is not far from where it was. Very nice ambiance indoor and outdoor.

If you’re a fan of pizza, roadtrips and Diner, Drive ins and Dives this is a must stop. It’s quite busy and they’ve since moved from their original location. We stopped in for a late lunch to a packed house. The wait time was 40 minutes, but it went so much faster and we had a table in about 20. Booths are small, tables are limited, but there’s also bar seating. We squeezed into a booth and ordered hot wings, a small thin crust pepperoni and well as a deep dish pepperoni. You have to try it all to know right? I almost ordered a salad and such not so glad I didn’t because man alive I was full by the end. We ordered a few barrio beers from the bar as well as sodas. Service started out great, but dwindled as we ate. We didn’t receive our second beer for over 10 minutes. Both pizzas came out looking amazing and I loved the cheese burnt a bit from the oven. So dang good. The crust and all was perfection. I don’t typically like deep dish pizzas so when I say it was good trust me. It wasn’t overly doughy and the outside crust crisp, but not hard. Flavor of the sauce was great. Cheese was gooey but didn’t feel super heavy. I just wish it had more pepperoni or maybe I should’ve added another topping. Unfortunately our wings never came to us. We did notice they were dropped off at the wrong table when a guest said they hadn’t ordered them. Once our server became aware she talked with her manager who took them off of our bill since we were nearly done eating by then. Maybe next time. All in all we loved Rocco’s. Cozy spot with a chill vibe.

Love Rocco's! Been coming here since their first location and 25¢won't Wednesday! The new location is beautiful, lots of seating, and the pizza is still outstanding! My favorite is the Hot Sticks, it's a much Jane in my opinion, nothing like it at any other place I know of! Rocco's is known for it's Chicago style deep dish, and I highly recommend the stuffed pizza! I like it simple, cheese, and I have yet to find any place better!
Patrick D — Google review
Yeah we did the build your own, and ended up with a $100 pizza. Yeah, be careful every topping was $4. We figured at some point they don't charge, but nope. The waiter just stacked them on. I would have not been so bothered if there was more consideration like hey just warning each topping is $5. I would have been more cautious then. But we hadn't been and it shocked. Me we would have saved so much money doing a specialty and just added toppings. I was pretty disappointed. The pizza was great, but we could have bought 3 for the price of one. They also don't have bottled water, but don't offer anything else besides tap water and don't allow outside bottles. I was pretty turned off by the experience. And shocked at the bill for one pizza. I don't know if any pizza is worth $100. The servers there were not looking out for our best interest, so just be careful. Rocco's should offer better training to their employees and try to take care of their customers better as opposed to whatever makes them more money.

We entered the door off Broadway, had to go to the host stand that was in the other side closest to the parking lot. Staff were pleasant! Ordered to go, we ate in the court yard by the Broadway bar place a couple doors down. Had to wait an extra 10 min for the garlic cheese bread, they forgot to put it in with the order ( was already 30 min). Entrance area gets too crowded by the door, they should rearrange that. Had a medium pepperoni pizza deep dish. Was ok. Mainly cheese that made up the deep dish and it needed more sauce, Chicago inspired not Chicago taste. Didn't take a picture of the pizza 🤦🏼‍♀️. Try it for yourself. The atmosphere was pretty cool. Next time we will dine in.

The B Line has such a comfortable, hip, vintage vibe but that's eclipsed by the exceptional food. I get tortilla soup every restaurant that offers it and this was my favorite by far, and the tuna sandwich on walnut bread was perfect! I've never had sangria before so thought I'd go for it and was not disappointed. My husband was very happy with the fish tacos he ordered. We'll definitely be back...maybe next time we'll try some of the handmade pies that looked so tempting.

The pies are amazing. The apple caramel pie was spectacular and the peach-rosemary pie was unique and delicious. Highly recommended. The chips and guac weren't great, so I might recommend this place primarily for dessert.

Best pie ever. I got the blueberry strawberry but from the rotating tower of pies to choose from you can’t go wrong. The latte was also superb slightly sweet with just tg foam milk because the barista didnt burn the coffee or the foam thus you get a sweet velvety flavor. Worth the drive if you have a sweet tooth

Excelent place to have breakfast. Very good staff attitude. God food and fair prices. Very good coffee. I would definitely recommend this place.

With an emphasis on seasonal ingredients, Nook's menu features both classic favorites like grilled octopus and short ribs as well as enticing vegetarian options.
This is amazing! The cinnamon pancake with heavy frosting was decadent and all the lunch/brunch entrees were great. Great jalapeño burger, amazing tuna melt, fantastic scones, awesome omelettes,,,it’s just all good. Service was good vs awesome but it was very crowded for Easter brunch! Nice inside seating and nice outside seating ! Love it! VictorB

Wow, what an amazing brunch spot! We ordered the Avocado Scrambled Eggs Chili Oil Sourdough toast, the Breakfast Burrito, Bacon Egg and Cheese, and the Blueberry Scones - it was absolutely delicious!! Everything was tasty and high quality. My family and I wish we could have tried everything on their menu…We are on a road trip and got extra blueberry scones to-go, they were so good! Defintely a must stop if you’re in Tucson!

No wait on a Saturday morning. Cozy restaurant in downtown Tucson. The food was outstanding. The Godfather Benedict was excellent, with a side of Smashed Hash. The Hanger Steak and Eggs was perfectly seasoned and cooked, simply delicious. We got crumpets on the side and the homemade jam made for a delightful breakfast accompaniment. The Coffee drinks were excellent, a latte and a matcha. Highly recommend for a breakfast or brunch if you are in downtown Tucson.

We enjoyed a delicious lunch. Super cute restaurant. Friendly service. It's a scratch kitchen, so the food takes a little time. We enjoyed the burger and tamale cakes. Both were delicious and well served. Make sure to order the scones!

Saturday brunch at Nook was a total win! The hangar steak was really all that, perfectly cooked, served with a bright chimichurri, and paired with crispy smashed hashbrowns topped with micro greens. The plate also included two eggs, which we ordered scrambled soft. That can often be a gamble, but the chef nailed it! Absolutely perfect. We added a side salad and a side of blueberry pancakes, and both were outstanding. The salad was crisp and fresh, while the pancakes were light-as-a-feather fluffy with just the right balance of blueberries in every bite. The restaurant itself is cute and inviting, a great brunch spot in Tucson. The only miss for us was the coffee, which was on the weak side. Overall, Nook delivers robust flavors, freshness, and attention to detail in every dish. We’ll definitely be back!

I love Nook! Every time I come i always leave very satisfied. The food is top notch and the servers are great. The girls working are always so friendly and they even remember your name and order if you come in somewhat often!

I had a great experience at Nook! The atmosphere is warm and stylish without feeling over the top, and it really gives that cozy, modern neighborhood vibe. The menu has a nice balance of creative dishes and familiar favorites, and everything we tried was fresh and well-prepared. The highlights for me were the flavorful mains and the thoughtful presentation. You can tell the kitchen cares about both taste and detail. Service was friendly and attentive, though a bit on the slower side at times, which is the main reason I held back one star. Overall, Nook is a fantastic spot for anyone who enjoys elevated American cuisine with a fresh twist. I’d definitely come back and recommend it to friends!

Raging Sage Coffee Roasters is a bustling and vibrant cafe nestled in the heart of Tucson, offering an extensive array of coffee and pastries. The charming adobe building adorned with lush greenery reflects their commitment to sustainable sourcing of coffee beans. Despite its petite size, the cafe has garnered a devoted following and numerous local awards. Guests can savor their beverages on the dog-friendly patio under the shade of orange trees or enjoy live music indoors.
I had an amazing Jalapeno Cheese Scone and a fantastic cup of Oaxaca Mocha. Yummy 😋

I tried to send the owners a private message but their email is full and they don't answer the phone. We live in the neighborhood and have been going here since they opened. Used to absolutely love it, and still buy their bags of roasted coffee. But honestly, over the last few years it's become an unpleasant place to spend our hard-earned "fun" money for going out a few times a week for a nice break after a bike ride or long work session. The staff can barely be bothered to be friendly, often chatting to each other very friendly but when a customer comes up, they reluctantly stop and face the customer with a flat expression and no interest or friendliness. Several times the short-haired blonde who has been there a while has been downright rude; for example, when I asked for an iced mocha, she barked at me "what size?" and when I said I didn't know I always just ordered it and a large glass came, that I didn't know they came in sizes, she just pointed meanly to the sign above and glared. With Sonoran Coffee opening up also in our 'hood, it's a breath of fresh air—coffee with a smile instead of an attitude. Even after just a few months going several times a week to Sonoran, they remember us, chat, smile (OMG, they smile!) and even remember our names and our order. Sorry Raging Sage, we used to love you, but we don't like surly with our coffee and pastries.
Roseann H — Google review
Raging Sage has amazing scones. This is a small local coffee shop with a nice patio area to sit. I love an iced latte or an Italian cream soda with homemade whipped cream. There Vietnamese iced coffee is great also. They always have homemade baked goods/ desserts. They have free wifi with a purchase. They have a single person bathroom as well. Respectfully, I would encourage a blinds replacement in the bathroom.
Dani S — Google review
Posting this is 2025. I drove by today and felt rage. In 2021 the staff treated my wife and I so poorly that I swore we would never return. The people working there utterly lost their humanity during covid and I'll never forgive them for that. The coffee is good but man, I never thought that a coffee shop could have such a lasting impact on my psyche. Maybe it's better now but I'll never know.
Erik G — Google review
I would like to say that I had the best blueberry scone with lavender and iced coffee for under $10. Their iced coffee was delicious and I was trying to save money, not buying a more expensive coffee like a latte and I was perfectly happy with that decision. I read the atmosphere a little lower because I think the inside could use a little designing, but I love the outdoor patio. I love that it's a local community feel.
Kelly R — Google review
The coffee was very strong, which I love. I ordered a dirty chai which I've determined to try at every local coffee shop just for the fun of finding the best one. Raging Sage's chai is a bit spicy and the drink wasn't that sweet. They have a few different sweeteners you can add if you want. Overall, the atmosphere was ok. It was a little crowded which made it hard to carry on a conversation, but it is a nice little shop with vegan options for food and drinks. I'll probably go back to sample some of the other things they have to offer.
Sunshine D — Google review
I start each day of my trips to Tucson at Raging Sage Coffee. This is my favorite coffee shop in any city. Amazing dark roast coffee. Strong with great flavor without being bitter. I get a shirt Americano…and a scone. The toasted pecan coconut is my favorite but also had a blackberry jam scone today and pecan streusel yesterday. Always friendly service and they get my order right every time. Beautiful outdoor patio. Perfect way to start the morning.

Nadine's Bakery, a classic Tucson bakery with decades of experience perfecting cakes and pastries, offers customers the option to customize their orders with fully customizable cake and pastry combinations. They also go through with all your specifications should you choose to have a custom order made while recommending you various pastry creations.
Nadine's is The place for your cakes and pastries. They did an awesome job on my son's birthday cake! He's grown but became a kid over his cake. The butter cream frosting and fudge center made this cake truly memorable. And the artwork I chose for the theme was professionally done. I truly appreciated the tips that they gave me for transporting safely and storing the cake before serving. I'll definitely be back😁

This place is SO good. I have gone here 2 times now, and I am hoping to go more before I move in august. The cheesecake bars they had were so bomb, and this time I tried a little cake and cream puffs. The cream in the cream puffs is OUTSTANDING. It isn't overly sweet at all, and comes with so much. They do a good job at incorporating a decadent flavor to the chocolate in any of their baked goods. Highly recommend :)

Visiting from out of town and ordered two specialty cakes within 4 days of family birthdays. Service with a smile, thoughtful input and exquisite decorations. Just as we hoped for... desert/cactus/ wild west themed cakes. The marble very moist n loved the mocha and Bavarian cream filling options. Happy family🥰

After looking at 3 other bakeries, I found Nadines Bakery on line. I called and spoke to a friendly voice, indicated what I needed and was told I needed to go in to order. I did go in the following day where I was promptly greeted by a young lady, friendly and referred to someone else who may have been having a stressed morning. I was told I couldn't order my cake because they were booked. (I just needed the cake, no set up). I did let them know that I was told that I could order it and that's why I was there. I was able to order for pick up. This young lady's mood lightened up and the rest of my interaction with her was much more pleasant as we talked. I also purchased one of their cherry 🍒 Danish. The Danish was very very good! PICK UP DAY: the cake was in the refrigerator and it was beautiful. I was anxious to taste it. It was boxed with care with instructions on how to carry it, where not to put it during transport. Went to the venue with the cake. Had dinner, cake was brought out and it was a big hit! The cake was absolutely perfectly delicious 😋. IT'S A BOY 👶🍼👣🫃💙 I would recommend if you need a cake, cookies, turnovers, etc., that's where I'll be going! Not sure on all the prices. I was a little sticker shocked at the price of the cake, but in hindsight, it worked out just great. Thank you Nadines Bakery for a job well done 👏 UPDATE: Ordered a space themed babyshower cake from Nadine's. Marble cake , 3 layers, decorated and it was a big hit at the party. Once again, thank you to the staff at Nadine's! Added some pictures to show the theme along with the cake (accidentally smudged the balloon 🎈 strings) 🤦‍♀️

Had high hopes for this bakery. Purchased a full cake at $23.50 person up front. Didn't even care. She just said let it sit out to get soft. It was horrible. The cake was horrible. Also got some cookies tasteless completely tasteless. I'll never go back again.

⸻ Bought a cake for a 65th birthday party and it was awful. The frosting was the only decent part. The cake itself was spongy, bland, and had no flavor at all. This was actually the second chance I gave this bakery after another terrible cake, and they failed again. Two strikes — I won’t be back

Small shop that's been around forever. Staff is so patient and really work with you. PARENTS OF ALLERGY KIDS THEY ACCOMPDATE EVERYTHING. WE HAVE A SEVERE DAIRY AND PEANUT ALLERGY AND THEY MADE THE CAKE, FROSTING, FILLING ALL DAIRY FREE. THE CAKES CAN BE AS CUSTOMIZED AS YOU WANT. They even have stock sh w loved cakes as well. I would be devastated if they ever closed. Only bakery in town to accomafay3 the entire dessert and still have fair prices never paid more than 45 for a cake that feeds up to 10 people.

Mercado San Agustin is a lively community hub in downtown Tucson, offering a delightful mix of eateries and shops surrounding an open-air courtyard. Visitors can enjoy authentic Mexican cuisine at Seis, gourmet dishes at Agustin Kitchen, or traditional pan dulce from La Estrella Bakery paired with coffee from Presta. The market also hosts a farmers' market and various events, making it a popular gathering spot for locals and tourists alike.
Went to the Mercado on a sat night to see a fave local band, The Cochise County All Stars. Went early to catch happy hour at the Kitchen Cafe. It was great all around. Wifey had the halibut fish and chips, I had the happy hour burger special that offers a craft draft and shot for just $5 extra. Score! All the food was good, service was great! Will go back for sure!

So, my first time here, I'll try to be short.. but first things first there is parking next to the restaurant but I do think it's a shared lot. I went around 6:20-6:30 pm. There was plenty of parking around that time, so I was unsure if there was a busy point during any other time frame. I did get a little lost trying to find the entrance it's on the side/back. Staff were all super friendly and attentive, which is a huge plus for me.. the food tasted great. There will be pictures to follow. Dessert was not as many selections as I would have preferred as well as meals go.. but I did go with a work party, so it could have been it was a set menu.. but all in all, I would give this place a 4 star because the atmosphere was nice. Waiters are attentive food did taste great there was some things I wasn't to happy about. Like there Cesar salad... it looked nicer than it was.. a bit hard to eat without looking like a pig trying to shove a full lettuce in your mouth.. haha, and also not your normal Cesar salad.. and prices are a bit high, but the quantity was fair.. Definitely would recommend i will most likely be coming back and next time check out the bathrooms.. normally, I check but forgot to this time around

Baggin's Gourmet Sandwiches is a local chain known for its rustic ambiance and an extensive menu featuring both hot and cold sandwiches, as well as bread-bowl salads and sides. Since 1984, the restaurant has been dedicated to creating unique and delectable sandwiches using high-quality, fresh ingredients. The diverse menu offers a culinary journey with globally inspired flavors, from savory meats and cheeses to an abundance of veggies and signature spreads.
Baggin’s is always a yummy choice, but my first experience at this location was exceptional. We came in about 20 minutes before closing, feeling a little guilty about it, but we were met with nothing but kindness and courtesy. The sandwich was made quickly and of course, was delicious. The layout of this particular location was charming and the space was clean. Makes me wish I had a downtown job, I’d be here often!

It’s a great place for lunch, and is especially convenient if you are at the courthouse serving jury duty! Noting fancy, but it is pretty fast and my Southwestern Tuna on sourdough was hot and very tasty. Came with a chocolate chip cookie, all for about $14. Fast and friendly - what’s not to like! VictorB

Ordered veggie no cheese no mayo (dairy restrictions). Came with cheese and mayo on it. Like fine I can take the cheese off but not the mayo that is already on there. And no chips in the bag either. Hello??? They are not even trying at this location. Don't bother to eat here if you have any special requests or dietary restrictions because they do not care.
Ash S — Google review
I stopped here because of the photo on the window of an amazing looking sandwich. I ordered the “Unforgettable Sandwich” and was impressed as it did not disappoint. While eating in the store, I read through the reviews and they all had a pretty consistent theme that seems to be impacting the overall rating but is unfair. They’re getting rated poorly for being busy or for a delivery service failure or for running out of something even when they attempt to make reasonable accommodations. Bottom line for me is that the service was fast and friendly — but I was here just after opening on a Thursday. The sandwich was made to perfection even though they were actively working on a large catering order and were still setting up for the day. I would have ordered another sandwich I had my eye on if I wasn’t so full from the first one 😂. I’ll be back tomorrow or Monday (maybe both) before I leave town and will be here again when I’m in town next (I get to Tucson twice a year) for a high quality sandwich that’s worth the price.

I can not say enough good things about this place! It was our first time here and we weren’t really sure what to order. Jessica (the manager) was so patient with us. She even gave me a free side of potato salad since I was torn on which side I wanted. You can tell she definitely cares about the restaurant and quality of work she does. 10/10. We will 100% be back!! *oh I ordered the cowboy. Def recommend!

Great sandwiches. Attentive and Polite staff. Clean and friendly place with nice tables and good people. The Grinder is awesome and the Meatball is great as well. Shout out to GM Jessica who is super nice and very polite. Definitely my go to lunch spot when I'm in Tucson.
Geoff B — Google review
I went to order lunch today. They were slammed so I granted the benefit of the doubt and ordered. I was told there was no more 12 grain bread so I opted for sourdough. I waited 48 mins and noticed that everyone after me was receiving their food even the large orders. They forgot about me or gave my food away. I asked was the ETA is on my order and was told they did not get it ready. Once they realized their error they began to work on my order. I was granted a refund for my sandwich and an upgrade on my soup. I was grateful. However when I went to finally eat my food at my desk because my lunch hour was spent waiting there, the sandwich was warm on the outside and cold on the inside. It was supposed to be a grilled cheese jalapeño popper. The cheese went unmelted due to the sandwich being made on a roll instead of sourdough. I was already having a stressful day and now I get to deal with the stress hungry. I really wish they would get them proper supplies to fulfill their orders knowing this is a very busy site.

From flaky croissants and hearty quiches to indulgent cinnamon rolls, there's something for everyone here.

This is a tough one... I ordered two danishes one cream cheese and one chocolate. Unfortunately both of them had little to no filling, but the danish was delicious. The Opera and the lemon raspberry cake we brought home were also amazing! The folks behind the counter were not welcoming.
Rebel P — Google review
We looked for a good bakery, for some pastries. We are from out of town. The Napoleon was okay but too big and mushy. The Almond croissant looks good on the outside but no almond filling inside the croissant, the chocolate croissant barely any chocolate on the inside for the price. The multigrain loaf of bread was half raw inside, I had to throw it out. We will never buy from here again. I found it a waste of time and loss of our hard earned money. I wish I could give this place zero stars, but they did refund the price for the bread.
Cataz W — Google review
I went to the bakery today and they had uncovered pastries on the counter. There was a fly touching them and I told one of the ladies working there about it. She didn't seem to care very much, she didnt say anything to me and when she saw the fly that had landed in one of the pastries, after landing on many others, she waved her hand to try to make the fly go away but left the pastry there and didn't cover any of the other products where the fly was landing. Very poor hygiene.

This place is phenomenal. Honest to God. If you are looking for fresh bread, fancy cakes, and gourmet desserts you would be doing yourself a disservice not to try here. We actually found this place by googling some of the cakes on Great British Bake Off, like you do, and this place popped up. They have princess cake, they have opera cake, they have tarte tatin. If you have seen a cake on TV and said "damn that looks good!", they have it. Everything we've tried from here has been incredible. They do close really early (3:00 pm on most days) but if you can make it out here, do. Pictured: a Danish with lemon, cherry, apple, blueberry, apricot, and raspberry filling. A slice of chocolate raspberry mousse cake. A slice of princess cake.

First time here at this restaurant it was the best! The food is amazing, coffee delicious. The most amazing service!!! The place might seem like a regular old town diner but the FOOD IS INCREDIBLE! From the staff to the plates, the experience was amazing. We were visiting AZ from NJ and decided to grab a bite and this place did not disappoint. Our group has the Breakfast Tacos and Quesadillas. Everything was prepared very well and with great flavor! And if you like Banana Bread…I can’t stress this enough…but you MUST try their banana bread, 10/10 :)

This place cannot be recommended enough! Everything was delicious and made perfectly. It truly gives you the feeling of eating at home with family. The meatball sandwich was everything it should be and the meatballs were clearly handmade. The gravy for the biscuits and gravy is some of the best I've ever had. Not pictured are the fries that were perfectly cooked and the amazing carrot cake cookies. We will definitely be back!

I got the Southwest burrito and was very impressed with its flavor profile. The salsa was homemade and very tasty. Service was fast and friendly. My burrito was about 15 bucks which I thought was on the pricier side, especially for an establishment where you stand at the counter to order. But overall was very nice and I'll definitely return!

Have adjusted rating up because the owner was open to discussing my concern. Ordered a three egg omelette with bacon and extra ingredients added. It was all mixed in with the egg and tasted okay but was smaller than any two egg omelette I’ve made or ordered before. The toasted bread was very good bread. Their banana bread is excellent. This wasn’t a good breakfast experience of meal in my opinion. The people are nice but when you order a three egg omelette, it should pretty much cover your plate. The omelettes are a la carte, no sides. You can add if you want. It was kind of a joke in my experience of seeking out good omelettes. Glad others enjoy this so much, i wouldn’t recommend it for omelette lovers.

Their display cases were neatly packed with pastries and the labels made it very clear what you were looking at. The staff member that helped me today was super sweet and had great customer service. I ordered the almond croissant, and boy was it worth the money! I will continue to come here and I will continue to recommend this place, as I had a great experience!

I got quite a few different pastry specials and they were all very yummy. Got there at 8:45am on Saturday morning and was second in line for open at 9. Right at 9am, about 10 more people were behind me. Worth it! The almond bear claws were my favorite. Best I’ve ever had! The price per was in the $7-$10 range.

Our first visit but not our last. I wanted to try everything. It's all beautiful, it's all art. There is art on the walls and in the pastry cases. A lot of the art you get to eat! I tried the Caramel Carrot Cake Smasher and it was a lovely treat that I savored and didn't rush through, because I didn't want it to end. The first bites were delightful, but as the experience developed, I was met with a blissful surprise. And then, another. I'll let you find out for yourself. Go.

I am so excited the new location on Broadway and Alvernon opened! I just tried a puff pastry with braised beef and chimichurri, and oh my gosh, I cannot explain how amazing and delicious this is! This has become one of my favorite things from you guys! Excellent!
Deshauna L — Google review
The only french style bakery in Tucson, so for that reason it’s good. Pastries are decent, although not as good and more expensive than the best options in other cities. Coffee was horrible, asked to add only a small amount of flavor and it tasted like it was half syrup. If I come back I would just get pastries to go.
Kaelyn L — Google review
I tried a captain crunch macaron that was a light delicious flavor. The chocolate filled croissant was decadent and perfectly flaky. I also tried a peach pastry with cinnamon and sugar topping that I don't remember the name of that was to die for. This place might become a weekly stop. ❤️

We absolutely love having this bakery right next door to our tattoo shop! Not only do they have amazing treats, but every time we walk in, we’re greeted with such a warm welcome. We love sending our clients over to try them out — and they never disappoint! Micheal always remembers my regular drink (seriously, the best!), and my wife is always happy when I come home with goodies from here. Couldn’t ask for better neighbors or better desserts!

Bar
Empire Pizza & Pub is a cozy Italian eatery located in Tucson's historic Congress District, offering authentic New York-style pizza and a pub in the back. The restaurant prides itself on hand-tossed pizzas made from scratch daily, featuring 100% Grande Mozzarella cheese. Their menu includes innovative pizzas like the Elote Pizza with roasted corn, cotija cheese, cilantro, and chipotle mayo.
Have you ever tried elote on a pizza? At Empire Pizza in downtown Tucson, Arizona, you can try the most mouthwatering slice of pizza with elote and aioli on top! While this might sound crazy, this was the best slice of pizza I have ever enjoyed! We stopped at this spot during our Downtown Tucson Walking Food Tour and I am already craving to return. There is a bar in the back with great service and good brews. Seating is limited, but there are a few tables you can enjoy your pizza at. This spot has a variety of amazing pizza, but make sure to try the elote slice at Empire Pizza!

Great pizza and fun flavors! The menu is a bit hard to get ahold of (unless i’m missing something), we found there most up to date items on instagram. Cool local joint though, would recommend the tikka masala and elote!!
Maddy R — Google review
Haven't had EMPIRE Pizza since I relocated. Its still just as good as I remember it. Ordered a whole pepperoni pie and had to try a slice of their Elote pizza. My favorite part is the sauce, I love that it has a tangy, sweet taste to it. The cheese and crust are also good, you can get a good cheese pull depending on how much you put on it. As you can see the slices are pretty bug and they use a decent amount of topping. You can even make do with the slice and drink combo but recommend a whole pie, its just that good. Thin, nepolitan-like crust with no flops, the outer crust is very chewy and not dry. There's a lot if flavor ti their pizza even with minimal toppings. The Elote Pizza has a unique flavor to it. There's a spice to it from the chilli powder seasoning they use, reminds me of Lucas powder from when I was a kid. The spicy mayo compliments this very well and they don't oversaturate the pizza with it which is nice. The pieces of corn was a nice touch and again they don't overdue it. And there is a lemon/lime zing to it. A really unique flavor. Overall still pleased with everything I purchased and will continue to support their business the more Ibcan visit downtown. BE WARNED, because it is downtown parking is atrocious but it is worth it to stop in and have a slice. It's the best food downtown.
Jesse T — Google review
Great little place downtown for pizza and drinks. It’s small, so not much room for large parties. Great service too. The pizza is delicious, nice thin crust and the slices are a generous portion. The wings are meaty and a good heat on the sauce.
Sean K — Google review
The atmosphere is lively with a great mix of food and drinks. The pizza tastes fresh and flavorful every time I visit. Staff members are upbeat and provide excellent service. The bar area feels fun without being overwhelming. Prices are fair and portions are generous. The space is clean and well maintained which adds to the experience. Service remains consistent even when the place is packed. It has become a go to spot for both food and fun.

came here when i was drunk off my ass celebrating my 21st. i live in the valley and come down here occasionally with my boyfriend, and i'd been thinking about this pizza for weeks. every mouthwatering, savory bite. i couldn't have any other pizza. was a little worried it wouldn't live up to the hype if i was sober. worry not, this pizza tastes just as good sober as it does drunk. it has ruined other pizzas for me. if it's not empire pizza, i simply do not want it. please open another location in the valley, i will be a regular customer. really good for the price too!
Carissa K — Google review
Empire Pizza in Tucson is an absolute gem! Not only is the pizza the best in town—thin, foldable New York–style slices with that perfect balance of crisp and chew—but the whole vibe of the place makes it a standout. The brick walls and old-time feel give it a cool, authentic charm, and even though the space is on the smaller side, it’s warm and cozy in the best way. It’s the kind of spot that instantly feels like your neighborhood hangout. The bar is another highlight—great drinks, fair prices, and an awesome bartender who makes everyone feel welcome. Whether you’re grabbing a slice with a cold beer or settling in for the evening, the atmosphere is just right. Empire Pizza has nailed it: incredible food, a laid-back but classic vibe, and service that makes you want to keep coming back. Easily one of Tucson’s best spots! 🍕🍻

Great service and atmosphere… pizza it’s SUPER BASIC and you can get WAY BETTER pizza for less. I will come back to this place just for the service and the beers but definitely not for the pizza. Even Sam’s Club or Costco pizza tastes better… of course, my review my opinion. You can do exactly what I did and give it a try but if you don’t wanna visit the place, feel free to try one of this frozen pizzas cause you won’t be able to tell the difference. The pizza at this place tastes just like one of those. 🤷🏻‍♂️✌🏼 Want to try REAL GOOD PIZZA? Try this places: - El Ranchito Pizza, located at #7 Avenida Pastor, Rio Rico, AZ 85648 the pizza at this place it’s Wood Fired so the taste is ridiculously awesome. - Italian Peasant, located at #50 Avenida Goya, Tubac, AZ 85646 - Two Girls Pizzeria, located at 140 W Duval Mine Rd. #108, Green Valley, AZ 85614

If you find yourself in Tucson, a visit to Eegees is an absolute must! This beloved local chain specializes in refreshing frozen fruit drinks that are perfect for cooling off in the desert heat. Served in iconic Styrofoam cups with both a spoon and straw, these slushie-like beverages come in classic flavors like Lemon, Pina Colada, and Strawberry, along with a rotating flavor of the month.
I very much enjoyed my first experience as they seem to be an iconic brand in the city. I was gladly surprised with the flavor of the month Raspberry Lemonade, which was refreshing and delicious. The staff was very friendly and greeted me upon arriving and leaving; only few QSRs do that. Looking forward to coming back

Horrible service! I asked for extra ranch/bacon bits and didn't get ANY on my fries. While im waiting in the drive thru, some kid cuts me off walking up to the window asking his friend (the girl taking orders) for free eegees. So I'm ignored while they continue talking back and forth. Completely unprofessional.. where are the managers!?
Loren C — Google review
Do better eegees. We went through the drive thru and ordered a large eegee, a couple sandwiches and fries. The “large” had a huge spot on the bottom of the cup that was empty, and I wasn’t initially going to write a bad review until I spotted the missing pieces of the styrofoam cup IN the eegee. Trying to feed me styrofoam? Not cool, totally sloppy job.

Pretty good sandwiches. My wife and I had a spicy grinder. Enjoyed image spicy, wife said too much dressing. My daughter had the meatball sub with provolone. She said good, but would be better with less sauce. Drive thru was packed, so we ate inside. Friendly staff clean restaurant, fairly quick service.

Food here is awesome. The ice was really tasty. Glad I don't have to include fries in my combo. Came here with a friend. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable, told me what was on each sub. Greatly enjoyed my dining experience here, i will tell my friends who dont know about this place.

Nestled in the charming St. Philip's Plaza, Ren Coffeehouse stands out as a delightful gem in Tucson, Arizona. This modern coffee shop features both an inviting bakery and a dedicated espresso bar, catering to all your caffeine cravings. With its picturesque indoor and outdoor seating options, it’s perfect for couples seeking a romantic atmosphere or anyone looking to enjoy their drink amidst beautiful surroundings. Ren Coffeehouse prides itself on offering clean and healthy menu choices made from organic ingredients.
Charming coffeehouse, small with limited seating inside but a huge shared exterior patio. The pastries all look so yummy! We ordered an iced mocha and a hot chai tea. The coffee had a burnt bean taste which is something I expect for an espresso style coffee. I love having several milk alternatives which this cafe has.
Shannon S — Google review
The drip coffee is typical of independent shops in that it has a ‘grassy’ taste I don’t care for ( but is apparently enjoyable for others.). I get around this by ordering an Americano. Nice selection of pastries, salads, and sandwiches. There is chilled A/C inside for hot summer days, and garden-like outdoor seating for the nice Tucson Winters. Parking is adequate, but entering and exiting the retail center can be dicy. Prices sre high, but not off the chart.
PappaJohn F — Google review
Came here for the first time and the cafe was cute - not a ton of seating inside and a couple of tables on their patio. Place was pretty busy on a Saturday morning, but we didn't have to wait long for our order. We ordered 2x 20 oz mochas, a breakfast burrito and a breakfast sandwich and our total came to $53. The mochas were nice tasting and the food tasted clean and fresh, but was also bland. For the portion size and taste of the sandwich and burrito, the price of $12-13 is a bit much on top of the overpriced Mochas/coffee. Aside from the prices, the service was decent.

Cozy charming small food place, in a beautiful plaza, and a relaxing jovial ambiance. No reservations, inside seating limited but larger pet friendly outdoor seating area available. Food was plenty, flavorful, and felt “natural” and healthy. Plaza is close on River /Campbell crossroads and Rillito bike path goes right by. Farmers market occur here also certain dates. Plan a trip! Wont regret.

This is a hidden gem in Tucson! My first time visiting and it will not be my last. The staff was quite friendly and offered great menu suggestions! Other staff were baking their scrumptious goodies! The seating options were my favorite! Inside, the bar near a door and the patio!!! The patio!!! 😁😁 Beautiful coffee, beautiful location! Lovely!!!

Quaint but busy little coffeeshop hidden away serving up some tasty treats and even tastier coffee. Get the Mexican Mocha! Sweet and spicy is a combo made in heaven.

The service was excellent and very friendly even though it was extremely busy. They did not have caramel frappes on the menu, but the person up front assured me they could make me one. It's a little on the pricey side but very tasty nonetheless. I also ordered a banana strawberry smoothie. It was also very tasty and highly recommended this establishment.

Insomnia Cookies is a popular bakery chain that's making its way into the Tucson market, offering warm cookies and ice cream for late-night delivery until 3 a.m. Located next to Hi Fi Kitchen & Cocktails on East Congress Street, this spot is perfect for college students burning the midnight oil or anyone with a late-night sweet tooth. The cookies are baked fresh every morning, boasting crisp edges and soft centers.
Marty did a fantastic job packaging and following the instructions in the notes of my online order. The gluten free cookie is separately packaged to protect it, and we got the exact FF7 sleeve image we wanted and all the other cookies were correct too of course. Thank you Marty for such a great customer experience.

I purchased a chocolate chip flower cake from this location for my daughter's birthday party. The cake I ordered was the one on the left (minus the m&m's- I did not order m&m's) and the one I received was the one on the right. The gal at the store was very nice when I called to talk about it. The manager initially offered a 25% back refund and communicated that from the photo it looks like it was damaged in transit. I was able to get 50% refund (I did not ask for more than that), but I am disappointed I wasn't OFFERED a full refund from the start. I would have wanted them to keep the delivery portion, as I didn't feel it was right to refund that. I do not believe the problem originated while being delivered. The entire cake looks like individual cookies mashed together with no form. It looks awful. To top it off, the cookies tasted like baking soda. It was really gross. I have ordered a cookie cake from this location in the past and had no problems. This time was incredibly disappointing. I will not purchase from Insomnia Cookies again.
Amanda E — Google review
Great cookies and ice cream. Bad experience with the staff and cashiers. I've come in many times, ordered, and been met with sighs and eyerolls that my order will take several extra minutes. Not, "ok great, we'll get that out as soon as possible." I was also just overcharged, and the cashier was so miserable, I decided it's not worth the extra $2 to deal with it.
Joe W — Google review
I really enjoyed Insomnia Cookie...I was really looking for an actual ice cream shop but this was the only one open after 10pm. Like many others have said this is just an average tasting cookie and ice cream. The triple chocolate cookie satisfied my craving and I topped it with a scoop of mint chocolate chip. The store was clean and service was excellent. The ice cream has a limited selection but several great choices. You can just get the cookie, ice cream in a cone or cup, milk shakes, or ice cream wedged between two cookies. They also have a small selection of toppings and of course milk. They also have some pre made cookies in different sizes with funny sayings. Also didn't realize this is a chain, I just ran into one in Chicago.

I’ve read some other reviews. .A little pricey?? I ordered through DoorDash and yes there’s are some charges added, but 23 dollars for 1 tiny 2 inch diameter cookie and what basically amounted to around 6 table spoons of ice cream was BEYOND Absurd. And the ice cream was terrible. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!

HeeMee Coffee + Bakery is a charming family-run cafe located in downtown Tucson, offering a delightful fusion of Korean, French, and Japanese influences. The menu features an array of delectable treats such as red bean doughnuts, bingsoo (a Korean shaved ice dessert), specialty cakes, croissants, and unique coffee offerings. This cozy and minimalistic cafe also celebrates its Korean heritage by serving traditional cakes and sweet as well as savory treats.
1000x YES for this place. The coffee bar has a large variety - we had a lavender matcha and lavender lemonade, both delicious. They also have pastries - the custard donut was very good. Then for lunch we tried the katsu and spicy bulgogi bowl both FANTASTIC!!! The bulgogi was so tender and the cabbage side salad was yummy. I find myself craving this place after just 1 visit. I want to try a Korean corn dog next time and the bulgogi sandwich 🤤🤤🤤🤤 I would say if you are in a hurry, order ahead, they get pretty darn busy!

You will miss it if you’re not paying attention— and you will regret missing it. We stopped here on a day trip to Tucson for a quick lunch. Very small establishment, but the café vibes are great and almost everything we had was great! Pictured are some items we tried: cookie butter latte (10/10), pastries (did not try but looked SO good), Korean fried chicken (100/10), and the Korean corn dog (10/10). The only thing that we didn’t love was the caramel macchiato my boyfriend had gotten. Might have been a difference of preference— but the drink tasted like butter? I will not yuck someone’s yum, might have been a taste thing. Regardless, service was friendly, fast, and everything was fresh. We did have to wait an additional in 10 or so minutes for the Korean corn dog, but that is because it came out piping hot and fresh. They are only available on the weekends but would totally come back here again when in Tucson.

The pastries were delicious and looked just like how they tasted! Coffee was really good too! It's one of my new favorite bakeries. Next time, I'm going to try something from their lunch menu! 😄

I tried the cookie butter latte (my fav), the Dubai chocolate latte, and the churro latte all 5/5 lattes. The service was incredibly kind and quick. There was only one barista while we were there and she was able to whip all the drinks out very quickly props to her. I would shout her out but she looks busy. Overall I loved it here one of my fav coffee shops. Omg and there baked goods are to die for. Tried their cheese danish and croissant and they were yummy delicious.

I ducked into HeeMee Coffee on my way out of Tucson—“just a quick caffeine stop,” I told myself. Famous last words. This downtown café-bakery with a Korean twist turned a pit stop into a full-on crush. First sip: the Iced Cookie Butter Coffee. Think velvety, cinnamon-kissed nostalgia without the sugar bomb—balanced, creamy, and wildly aromatic. It’s dessert energy with specialty-coffee discipline. Then came the Dubai Chocolate. Wow. Deep, dark, and silk-smooth with a whisper of spice and perfume—like hot cocoa that studied abroad and came back enlightened. Both drinks were dialed-in and presentation-pretty, the kind of cups you photograph first and finish fast. The space has that “stay awhile” hum—bright, modern, and warmed by the glow of the pastry case. You’ll spot Korean-leaning bakes and a small kitchen turning out food that makes you wish you weren’t on a schedule. I didn’t have time to eat, but the menu teased enough to guarantee my return: this isn’t just a coffee counter; it’s a café with a point of view.
Pachi S — Google review
This place is a gem in downtown Tucson. There's a good variety of drinks and pastries and they were also very reasonably priced. I got the ocean latte and it was super pretty and tasted quite good as well. We also tried the matcha cheesecake and it was delicious.

Have had this place on my ‘list’ to try for coffee/pastries. Friendly service and they make a great espresso drink! We got a few different pastries to try which are fresh and yummy.
Betsy M — Google review
All the pictures are adorable and practically drag you into the store, although I think most of it is for the Instagram aesthetics. Their drinks are definitely a novelty for social media without much actual flavor, but their food is absolutely delicious. I highly recommend the chicken katsu sandwich! This is more of a mid-day cafe than a spot for a quick breakfast, as it doesn’t seem like their pastries are made in house and aren’t usually put out until at least an hour into opening. Moral of the story: skip the bevies, snap pics of the pastries, and chow down on the food and snacks.

Houlden's Rise Above is a charming vegan bakery that has quickly become a beloved spot for both vegans and non-vegans alike. With its inviting atmosphere, this delightful establishment offers an impressive selection of vegan goodies, including savory turnovers, flaky bear claws, and rich cheesecakes.
This place is so good! I finally had a chance to visit after trying their pastries at Midtown Vegan Deli (which happens to be in the same complex as the bakery). I have crazy food allergies so to find a place the makes gluten free & vegan food and tastes good is amazing. Non-vegans will enjoy it too.

I don’t think I’ve ever had such an amazing and absolutely delicious experience at a bakery before. And I am definitely a pastry/bakery fan. Not only is absolutely everything you choose, beyond delicious but all of the people that work there are always so kind and welcoming. I didn’t even know that all of the pastries were vegan because I am not a vegan, they are absolute best pastries I’ve ever had. So many selections including savory and sweet and even gluten-free options. I come here way too much if that’s even possible. The menu changes from week to week and it keeps you coming back.

I’ve been a Houlden’s super fan since moving to Tucson in January 2022. I’ve been vegan for 6.5 years and have tried vegan baked goods all over the world, and I can honestly say these are the best vegan pastries/desserts I’ve ever had in my life. Scratch that, they’re the best pastries and desserts I’ve ever had in my life EVER — both vegan and non-vegan. So when it came time for my wedding, I knew they were the only ones I trusted to make the wedding cake of my dreams. Hannah and Michael did such an amazing job responding to our requests, making a tasting box for my fiancé and I to try, and making the biggest and most beautiful wedding cake I’d ever seen! We got so many compliments about the cake and everyone was begging for an extra slice. I was the only vegan at the wedding and all of the non-vegans were blown away at how delicious the cake was. Many even said it was the best cake they’d ever had in their life!! I am so grateful to Houlden’s for their hard work and dedication making our cake a smashing success. I also love that every time I see their baked goods around town I can remember the magic of my wedding day. Thank you!!

I finally made it! I'm from Pennsylvania so I was very excited to find this vegan bakery before I even left the East Coast! The food looks amazing on Instagram and even better in person. I've only tried a couple of these so far but holy moly they are delicious. The herby bread, I could eat it every day! And the strawberry layered cup... Tastes exactly like a strawberry shortcake! Thank you for all you do!

Edit: I visited Tucson again 1 year later, and this was my first stop. That's how good this place is! I'm so happy to be able to visit again and try some more fresh, delicious goodies! Best bakery ever! Original review Jan 2024: Whatever kind of "-vore" you are, you will not be disappointed...these are the best pastries I've ever had! I was fortunate to stumble upon this place while visiting from out of town. I had a lovely chat with one of the owners who talked me through their available items and how long they'd keep since I wanted to take some extra home 😁 The pastry dough is *chef's kiss*...just the perfect amount of flakiness and crunchiness... Nothing dry or boring about any of these desserts! I wish I lived closer and that there were more vegan bakeries like this!!
Karen Y — Google review
From a baker & non-vegan: if all vegan pastries tasted like this, there will be more tasty vegan pastries 😂 because let's be real, most vegan pastries are boring, dry or kludgey -- at least the ones I've had. Had the street corn croissant and blood orange & blueberry cheesecake (with tofu & cashew) -- both were delish, Houlden's play with flavor is spot on.

Nice Panadería, we went there around 8.30 and it was a little empty. We got a few that were getting out, few conchas and donas and Fresh flour tortillas! People was nice tho.

We were in town on vacation and stumbled across this panederia in search of pan dulce. What a find! We met the owner and got to hear about his passion and journey in the industry! A true gem! We stocked up on pan dulce, pan artisenal and tortillas for our venture back home to Chicago!

In had the BEST empanada there! The jalapeno and cream cheese boli bread was amazing as well. 🫶🏼 Don't forget the freshly in house made tortillas. 😋🤤

Korean restaurant
RofleRofle is a South Korean chain that has brought its unique creation, the croffle, to the United States. A croffle is a delightful combination of a croissant and a waffle, which can be topped with options like whipped cream and fruit or Oreos and Lotus cookies. Customers have raved about the care put into making each croffle, praising its dense yet light and fluffy texture reminiscent of a croissant.
Tried this on a whim as we were leaving the mall. Let me tell you my wife and I will be back for more! We ordered the lotus cookie croffle and it was amazing, crunchy, yet soft on the inside, the flavor was rich and complimented perfectly with the cream. We couldn’t believe what we were eating and how we haven’t tried it before 12 out of 10. The staff was polite and quick to make it fresh for us. Looking forward to the next flavor.

Yesterday, there was only one young lady working there. She was very friendly and very quick! I ordered a tteokbokki combo which includes kimbap and a watermelon smoothie. The smoothie was delicious, sweet and refreshing! The tteokbokki sauce was more on the soupy side consistency wise but flavor was phenomenal! Overall, perfect little lunch!
Meagan D — Google review
This will be a new weekly treat for me and my boyfriend! They were so sweet- even throwing in an extra croffle when we told them my boyfriend had stopped the day before, bought 3, and loved them so much he brought me back to try 3 more. All the flavors were AMAZING, the ladies at the counter were so nice, and I’m so excited to try more of their menu items- this is a must-try when you’re at or around the mall!

I got the Nutella and Pebbles flavored Croiffles and they were delicious. Gals at the register were patient in explaining their flavors and gave us a free sample of their French Croiffle (absolutely amazing as well!) will be back!
Alysia E — Google review
Must try, and what a Beautiful Presentation! The cream used here is light, not heavy and brings out a nice balance to the waffle. Lovely placement of the grapes n' strawberries. Will be back! 🤘
Jenn X — Google review
I absolutely LOVEEEE this place!! ❤️ look how beautiful this is - you can tell they put care into each one they make. The base (croissant waffle) is a dense but also light and fluffy bread (taste is what you would expect from a croissant) and the whipped cream is just so airy and mildly sweet. Pairs perfectly with their toppings (strawberry is refreshing and sweet, oreo is more sweet/dessert-y). Their ROFLE coffee is rich and strong but has the right amount of cream and sugar for me (I like it sweet and creamy while still tasting a bit of that bitter coffee). Yummmm! Haven't even finished and already thinking of going back for more lol. I hope to be one of those regulars that they can remember 😆 they are soo nice here as well!! I'll definitely keep coming back as often as possible.

But what IS a croiffle? It is a croissant that has been crisped up in a waffle machine. It is delicious. I would definitely try other flavors. 😊 This is a popular chain in Korea. RofleRofle Croiffle at Tucson Mall is the only location in the United States at this time.
Crystal R — Google review
The lady running the food place is so kind solved works so hard and the croffles are really good I stick to the strawberry one I also really love the mango yogurt smoothie I would recommend it was a 100/10

If you're on the hunt for delightful confections, look no further than Song & Sugar Sweets! This charming bakery offers a variety of treats that can be ordered online or found at local pop-up events. From scrumptious cakes and cupcakes to delectable cookies and macarons, each creation is beautifully decorated with an artistic flair. Customers rave about Sierra's ability to bring their visions to life, whether it's stunning lemon cupcakes for a baby shower or an exquisite birthday cake crafted on short notice.
It was surprisingly hard to find a place/baker to make a custom cake for my boyfriend’s Twin Peaks themed birthday. I found Song and Sugar Sweets and the reviews were so amazing, I just had to see if they could help me. Not only were they super patient in helping me submit my order, the cake looked exactly like my reference photo. But how it looked (which was STUNNING) was nothing compared to the taste. We ate the cake so fast and I still dream about it sometimes 🥲. If you’re lucky enough to have Song and Sugar Sweets baked goods, you will have an experience to remember!

Sierra is truly wonderful, and she was so kind and patient with us! She made a stunning Croquembouche for our wedding, and my partner's French family wholeheartedly approved. It was absolutely delicious, and it was completely devoured.

My family and I did a cupcake decorating class w her (holiday wreath). She was so patient and kind, great teacher. I brought my finished product to a party and it stole the show. AND the cupcakes were delicious to boot.
Melina M — Google review
Sierra at Song & Sugar made the most magical Elsa-themed birthday cupcakes for my daughter's birthday party. All were delicious. The red velvet with vanilla frosting were dangerously good. I forgot to take pictures (doh!) but half of them had snowflakes and diamonds, the other half looked like magical blue and purple snow on top. Three parents asked who made the cupcakes after eating theirs. Good sign. (update: adding photos that Sierra took. )
Jane B — Google review
I ordered some cupcakes from Sierra. I shared some inspiration photos and she made them even better. Three different designs on a dozen cupcakes, complete with a touch of gold leaf!!! I tried her lemon cupcakes which was delicious, and I'm excited to try her sweet potato cupcakes next time. I trust her design sense and her baking. Communication via email was speedy and clear and the pick up was very easy. I cannot recommend her enough. Thank you, Sierra for making my daughter's adoption day very special.

Sierra understood the assignment! I ordered 2 dozen lemon cupcakes for a baby shower that were beautiful and delicious. The mom to be plus all the guests loved the decorations. I didn't give very specific instructions for the decorations-- I trusted Sierra to deliver cute, on-theme designs which she did. I received exactly what I wanted at the agreed upon date/time. The lemon cupcakes were perfectly balanced between sweet and tangy. Email correspondence from start to finish was timely. I would happily use Song and Sugar Sweets again in the future.
Erica W — Google review
I contacted Sierra about making a 21st birthday cake for my daughter, who attends UofA. We are located in NJ and wanted to send something special. I only gave Sierra a week notice or less and she came through with flying colors!! It was absolutely beautiful! Thank you Sierra for making my daughters’ day extra special!
Lisa H — Google review
Sierra did a great job. Everyone loved the cake! Beautifully made and was packed carefully and efficiently. Cannot wait to have another occasion to order again. Thank you for helping to make our celebration great!

Restaurant
Le Delice is a charming bakery that has captured my heart with its delightful offerings. This cozy spot is known for its mouthwatering pastries and artisanal bread, making it a must-visit for anyone with a sweet tooth or craving fresh baked goods. The inviting atmosphere adds to the experience, making each visit feel special. Whether you're stopping by for breakfast or an afternoon treat, Le Delice promises to satisfy your cravings and leave you wanting more!
As you may expect, given the previous critiquing about Le Delice, the food is excellently prepared. Breads, cheeses, sauces, etc are all fresh and expertly cooked. The plating is professional and tasteful without being pretentious. The single downfall of this otherwise fine restaurant is the front of house. Upon arriving, the front seems confused as to what it is guests are doing there, almost as if the arrival of diners is something to which they are unaccustomed. Once seated, the staff was reasonably knowledgeable and concise, without being rude. More appropriate staffing, or better training for current staffing would quickly change this little spot to a four star, in my opinion.
