American restaurant
Kingfisher is a renowned seafood house with a vintage interior and a popular happy hour. Co-owner Jacki Kuder describes it as an upscale yet casual restaurant offering fresh seafood, grilled meat, and American-style cuisine. The restaurant prides itself on flying in seafood daily from both coasts, ensuring the highest sustainability rating. The menu features inventive and classic dishes like Grilled Sea Bass with crispy pork belly and spicy stone fruit chutney.
Lamb was delicious, had a char, and was fall-off-the-bone. Each bite was great. Greens were cooked down and the couscous was the perfect addition to the lamb. Ribs were thick, meaty, and sweet. Clam chowder tasted like new England clam chowder. Chowder was very generous with the amount of clams. There was a clam in every spoonful. I highly recommend this place if you want a delicious meal with great service.

I was told this was the best fish in Tuscon, and I wasn't disappointed! Delicious seafood options with seasonal menus to keep up a variety of offerings in addition to their main selection. Now, I don't know if this place uses the words "fine dining" in its marketing, but if they did it wouldn't be far off the mark. The service was like that of fine dining restaurants I've visited - highly attentive, respectful, non-invasive, well-informed servers. Hats off to the staff, I was treated like a queen. Now, because I'm an honest reviewer: The main thing that would give me pause on calling it a fine dining experience (as opposed to simply a high quality seafood restaurant) was the atmosphere. The lighting was high, the walls were vibrant blue (with some plain brick walls), and there wasn't much of a dress code (for patrons). And, maybe it's just preference, but the overall internal design sense felt plain. Great for a date. Probably great for a business outing. Maybe not the choice if you're looking for fully immersive fine dining, but ABSOLUTELY the choice if you just want delicious fish and excellent service to give you a stellar lunch or dinner.

What a great place for dinner. My Wife had the lobster roll and I am not the big seafood person so I had the Bacon Burger. She said it was fantastic and fresh. My burger was good too. The side of sweet potato chips were so good. Yes, it’s a little pricy, and good food always does.
Mike M — Google review
The food was incredible. I've been wanting to come here for years and it was worth it despite the prices. The seafood is cooked so well and the drinks, alcoholic or non, are house made and fantastic. The food is just amazing.

Thank you, Am Bar, for the wonderful service! I ordered calamari, oysters, and fish and chips—easily the best selection I’ve ever had. My server recommended the California oysters, and she was absolutely right. The staff were so attentive, always checking in to see how I was doing and if I needed anything. Polite, genuine, and welcoming. I’ll definitely be returning!
Moape R — Google review
Everything was amazing! We started with a caesar and a wedge salad which were both delicious. Then we had the steak, the lamb, the paella and the lobster roll. I would recommend any and all of these! The cheesecake was delectable and even the drinks were great/well poured (lemon drop and old fashioned). I can't wait to come back and try everything else!
Ashley — Google review
This was a very good lunch for us. Their selection of seafood is really good. All of my oysters that I have were really good! My wife had salmon and she really liked it also. The service was good. The only negative thing I have to give about this place Is that the interior looked tired. I would come back.
Keith — Google review
We are relatively new to Tucson and just visited Kingfisher for the first time. It Certainly won't be our last! Every dish seemed well-planned and well executed. Extensive cocktail selection and all of the food we tried was delicious. Our server Gabby did a wonderful job, with great attention to detail. The white Gazpacho and shoestring fries were particularly outstanding! We'll be back soon!

Seafood restaurant
Nestled in the heart of Tucson, Mariscos Chihuahua is a beloved family-owned establishment that has been delighting seafood lovers for over 40 years. This vibrant eatery boasts a casual atmosphere adorned with ocean-themed murals, creating an inviting space to enjoy authentic Mexican-style seafood. The menu features mouthwatering dishes such as ceviche tostadas, fried octopus, camarones rellenos, and shrimp tacos.
Wow! Delicious seafood. Our first time here for Mother's Day. Large portions at very reasonable prices. No longer waiting for a table or our food to arrive.

Order #318719 on 7/20/25 (Takeout, 4:33 PM) I’ve been a regular customer for a long time and have always enjoyed the food here never had any issues until this recent visit. Unfortunately, when my husband and I sat down to eat our takeout order, he found long blonde hairs in his fish. It was extremely disgusting and unhygienic. He couldn’t even finish his meal. This is very disappointing and unacceptable, especially for a restaurant. All staff handling food especially those with long hair should be required to wear hairnets at all times. It’s a basic health and safety standard, and I truly hope management addresses this immediately. I really love this place, but this experience was a big letdown. :(
Adriana D — Google review
The food and service is really good, the seafood was really fresh, and also the chips and salsa, but were you can taste the difference is with the shrimp it's so good not as in most of the seafood places. Also the order came really quick !
Manuel S — Google review
My fave dish is the grilled fish. It has great flavor and no fishy taste. I order without French fries because they aren't very good, I ask for extra salad. The limeade is fresh squeezed and refreshing. I recommend this dish!

There are several of these locations but my favorite one is on 12th & Irvington everything is good here!! Try there lemonade it is all natural and I love that ice they use. I love the Bacon wrapped with cheese and shrimp, can not go wrong with that at all. Hope you like my suggestion 📸❤😊

Food was very good and affordable especially for seafood. Do not recommend this place if someone in your party does not eat seafood, everything on the menu is seafood, no meat of any kind.

Wildflower is a buzzing American restaurant with an upscale interior, patio seating, and stunning mountain views. The extensive dessert menu includes standout items like the Bars of Sin and warm Cinnamon Doughnuts. Located in Tucson, it offers a romantic ambiance with comforting cuisine reminiscent of family recipes. Additionally, it's conveniently situated for those looking to explore the area's wildflowers and hiking trails.
This is a fabulous little restaurant. We sat outside in the patio and it had great views of the mountains, was shaded, and the mist system kept it cool and refreshing. The calamari was the best I've ever had, and the short rib ravioli is what I will order next time. The scallops I ordered were great and the lemon grass skewer was a unique touch. I ordered 2 drinks because they were so good. And we ordered the Bars of sin for desert. It was perfect.

We came here for our anniversary on a friend’s recommendation, and we’re so glad we did. The food was amazing—fresh, delicious, and beautifully prepared. The little surprises they added for our anniversary made the night feel extra special and thoughtful. Coming from NYC, we can confidently say this restaurant truly meets the high dining expectations we’re used to. We’ll definitely be bringing our family here next time.
Shelley C — Google review
We went to Wildflower in Tucson and overall, it was a really nice experience. The vibe inside is a little loud, but not in a bad way. You can still talk and hear each other, you just gotta be a bit attentive. Parking wasn’t bad. The lot isn’t huge, but we still found free parking pretty easily. The inside is beautiful. It’s elegant and well put together, the kind of place where you’d want to take pictures… and of course, I forgot to take any before we started eating. Food-wise, I’d give it a 4 out of 5. It wasn’t mind-blowing, but it was still really good, especially for the price. Service was decent. It took a minute for the servers to get back to us, but to be fair, they were slammed the day we went. I gave them 5 stars overall because the experience was worth it. I’d go back.
Mekha R — Google review
Wow. I was bloon away with this beautiful restaurant. The service was a 10. The food well, gourmet. We had scallop dish, black rice and greens, seasoned to perfection. The artichoke appetizer was great. All the food was on point. The glasses on the table are clean and smudge free. The the desert named sin is a perfect ending. The attire can be casual. We were hesitant because we're are traveling through Arizona. A great friend recommended this restaurant and we are thankful. A special place.

Really enjoyed our meal, the shrimp bowl with quinoa was delicious and different. The side mac & cheese was also amazing. Glad they had some local beers to try as well, since we were visiting from out of town. Service was good
Sofi C — Google review
I enjoyed the Fish and Chips, kale strawberry salad, Asian potstickers. The donuts are freshly made and enough for two people. Make a reservation because it gets busy. The service was good and the waiter was attentive. I recommend Wildflower for a date night or special occasion. I look forward to returning!
Erie L — Google review
What a beautiful eatery this is ! Loved the ambiance . Service was great . However , I would not recommend a vegan to eat here . I had to make sooo many modifications and 2 of 3 modified orders were incorrect . ( my salad still had cheese sprinkled in it & my falafel plate had sauce that wasn’t vegan ) . Yummy but just too difficult to modify here. All I ask for is just one entree on the menu completely vegan I don’t need to modify .
JP P — Google review
The service here is always spot on. The food is consistent, have not had a thing that I dislike here! Very nice patio seating, a great place for a date night! The short rib, salmon, and the special desert bar, highly reccomend!

Restaurant
Feast is a laid-back eatery offering a diverse, market-driven menu that changes on a monthly basis. The restaurant prides itself on its extensive wine selection and the ever-evolving eclectic cuisine. One of their iconic dishes, the grilled cheese sandwich with seared halloumi cheese, honey-roasted eggplant, shaved red onion, and roasted tomato has become a favorite among regular guests.
I took my mom to eat lunch. We were greeted with a smile, and we chose a place to sit of our choice. The atmosphere was peaceful, and the place was clean. My mom had the white salad with shrimp & I had the steak sandwich with some greens. Both dishes was PERFECT! We also ordered a steak sandwich to go. We are not Rich by any means. However, my mom is unable to get out much and being able to spend time with her and eat this meal with her in such an awesome place with awesome service means everything to me. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!
Diyanah T — Google review
Fantastic food! We tried two different appetizers (kohlrabi and squash blossoms) and both were great. For the main dishes, wr had the Chicken plate and their special which was shrimp and scallops in garlic wine sauce over couscous- delish! Dessert was lemon ice cream (🤤) and chocolate lemon cake. I can't wait to go back and try some other dishes. My only complaint is that it is a tad pricey, but that won't stop me from coming back again.
Hanna E — Google review
The food was wonderful. Perfect portions. The chef personally answered questions about the menu, knows each dish, knows the wine list. Visits each table. Unique experience.
Karen ( — Google review
I had never been to Feast before despite driving by many times. A close friend chose Feast for her birthday dinner. It seems clear that Feast is trying to offer a fine dining experience. Indeed the atmosphere and service all fit that rubric. However the food was simply not worthy of the prices in my opinion. The one stand out was the lobster bread pudding which was excellent. The other main meals were simply average. The duck with pancake was bizarre tasting, the salmon with noodles quite boring and ahi tuna with rice was just plain. I had an enjoyable evening due to great company and good servers. However I left feeling the meal was a poor value considering the relatively high prices and relatively lack of deliciousness.
Dov F — Google review
One of the top spots in Tucson scratch kitchen and unbelievable wine menu. Don't judge a book by its cover building and logo are kind of weird looking but the food and service are great
Niko R — Google review
This is just fabulous. We tried several of the entrées and enjoyed each one. The chef,Doug Levy, circulated throughout the restaurant and added real value to the dining experience.
Stephen H — Google review
Stopped by for lunch at Feast, such yummy options! Loved the daily special open-faced salmon sandwich and also had the pork schnitzel on a brioche bun. And of course, fabulous deserts, including griddled angel food cake with gingered cherry preserves and goat cheese crème fraiche. Always something special at Feast!
Elaine O — Google review
We had a really nice casual business dinner here. The restaurant was highly accommodating and responsive to my requests before we ever showed up. The wine menu is extensive, much longer than the food menu! The food was great, and we were able to carry on conversations without needing to yell, which is always a good thing. The setting is very casual.

Restaurant
Maynards Kitchen & Bottle Shop is a historic venue located in Tucson, offering a unique combination of a takeaway counter, gourmet shop, and bar with an eatery serving seasonal American cuisine. Housed in a historic train depot, the restaurant features high ceilings, vintage decor, and a charming outdoor patio. Known for its farm-to-table approach, Maynards emphasizes local and sustainable ingredients in its frequently changing menu. Some popular dishes include grilled octopus, duck confit, and smoked pork chop.
I've been going to Maynard's since they opened. Interestingly they either have the best food in Tucson or it's just eh. It depends on who the current chef is and their menu Some seasons I want to eat everything on the menu and some, I have a hard time finding anything. Right now it's the best meal in Tucson. We ordered 3 appetizers for 2 of us. We were going to order a fourth but we got full. I asked the server to pace the food and was promised that would happen, but of course everything came at once.
Billie M — Google review
Pros: The roasted beet appetizer ($13) was great -- the beets were silky and the flavors were strong and went together nicely. The cocktails we got (City Slicker and Harvest Moon, both $15) were also flavorful and fun. The service was consistently amazing -- our waitress was helpful, knowledgeable, and attentive without hovering. The atmosphere inside the restaurant was nice. Cons: Unfortunately, almost everything else was mid. And it was way too expensive for almost everything to be mid. The beef tartare ($22) had a pretty good flavor and texture but came with the limpest French fries I've ever eaten. The oysters were $4.50 each, tiny, and generically fishy (though, to be fair, they had a great texture). The amuse bouche (complimentary) was a mealy, watery tomato over a grocery-store quality focaccia. We got two entrees: the seared divers scallops ($43) and the mushroom steak with mole ($27). All three of the scallops were cooked well, but there was no seared crust on any of them and they were very salty. The mushroom steak itself had a good flavor and bite, but the mole was uninspiring and the accompanying squash was undercooked and unseasoned. Like, raw pumpkin. But man. The dessert was so bad that it was funny. Maybe that's on us for getting a $12 deconstructed "cookies and milk" dessert, but even so. The "cookie milk" was the most offensive -- a generous pour of sour-smelling, clotting, unflavored milk. I got a chunk of soft floating milk fat in my last sip. We did not finish the milk. They definitely did something to it, but it didn't taste like cookies or anything. The "cookies" were a comically large pile of fine crumbs. Eating them was strongly reminiscent of the end of a nature valley granola bar, in both flavor and texture. The cookie was? Maybe a generic shortbread? The crumbs were paired with the tiniest smear of chocolate cremoso imaginable. This had a sad puddle of olive oil and some flaky salt on it. It was basically a tablespoon of pretty good chocolate ganache on the side of a mountain of, again, shortbread(?) cookie crumbs. We initially tried to sit outside, but there were loud (LOUD) trains going by every 3-7 minutes, 30 feet from the entire outdoor dining area. You could not hear the person across from you. In their defense, they moved us inside promptly and graciously as soon as we asked to move. Anyway, we used a gift card and had a good time laughing at the dessert. We won't be back unless someone else is paying and set on going here and nowhere else.

First time having dinner, make a note reservations are always best. We sat upstairs, very fancy, l felt a bit underdressed. Didn't really know what to expect, and when the host asks if you have questions, you should ask. I had the duck breast with root vegetables, it was delicious. My one friend had the chicken, and another friend had the mushroom risotto. Now when they said, "Would you like to add scallops?", they didn't say you would be paying 9.00 for each scallop. It should have said "each" on the menu. She said they were delicious, but it was a shock when the check arrived. We did receive a free mini panacotta before the meal and also had some roasted brussel sprouts. All and all it was delicious.

Love the historical setting and the way they have maintained the history. The menu had just recently changed, and everything was delicious. Our service was friendly and prompt. It was a lovely experience.

Maynards was recommended to me by a coworker, and it did not disappoint. The food was extremely flavorful and the portions were just right. We got to experience the first of their new summer menu. The atmosphere was intimate and neat since it’s located in an old train station. We got lucky to sit inside since we did not make a reservation, so I highly recommend making one in advance. My only wish was for the cocktails to be a tad bigger (sorry did not take a picture). Other than that it made for a perfect date night!

Just some of the best food we've had in Tucson! First I'll start with the decor and location. It's located at the Amtrak station building and is a very unique restaurant. Walking in you notice it's not a very large restaurant but is very quaint. The bar area to the right and down below via steps is the dining area. Old style like the Old Pueblo but stunning and beautiful as you'll see in the pictures. Our wait staff was John and he was an outstanding waiter, very personable. The rest of the wait staff was also friendly. Now for the food and drink. I ordered the Maynards Old Fashioned and it was one of the best I've had. Maynard's menu is seasonal so what you see today you might not see next month because this restaurant uses local/regional meats and produce. Yesterday Chef Brian Smith knocked it out of the park! We ordered the $75 per person course which is a 6-course meal with a dessert at the end. You'll see a 7th in my photos because we were celebrating my wife's birthday. She didn't like the churro dessert because the creme fraiche was too smoky but I thought it was fabulous (I like smokey food). You don't really know what you're getting as it's chef prepared and changes from day to day. I won't explain each course but when you look through the pictures you'll see how wonderful each dish looks and tastes even better. Our favorite was the steak course and the heirloom tomato course but everything was wonderful and we don't think it could have been any better. We'll be back for sure to try another round. Thanks Chef!

IMHO this is the best restaurant in Tucson right now. The train station setting very romantic, the staff very professional and friendly and the food outstanding. The menu changes frequently however it can be assured that the oyster mushrooms with caramelized whey and salsa Matcha Will be on the menu, do not miss it. The beef tartare was great As was the duck comfy with dirty rice.

Agustin Kitchen is a sophisticated bistro located in the historic west side of Tucson, within the Mercado District. The restaurant offers a diverse menu with carefully sourced meats and locally-sourced vegetables. Renowned chef David Solorzano leads the culinary team, ensuring an upscale dining experience. The charming ambiance, featuring white walls and accents of marble and rustic woods, adds to the refined charm of the location in Mercado San Agustin.
I had a very pleasant dinner at my visit at Agustin Kitchen. The staff were quite welcoming and attentive throughout my stay. I ordered the hibiscus margarita to start with no appetizer. Though in the future I will be trying some of those items. For dinner itself I ordered the steak frites, temperature was just a tad under of preferred medium rare, but the steak was delicious nonetheless. Served with excellent crispy shoestring fries and a lovely sauce to accompany. I would recommend this place to folks looking for a quality bistro dining experience.

A splendid location, inside of San Mercado, with choice indoor or outdoor seating. A breakfast and Lunch menu is offered until early afternoon, 2:00pm daily. Today's selection was Baja fish and chips, prepared with a homemade cole slaw, Rick fish, and shoesteing fries! The presentation of my meal was fantastic!

I love this place! Great for dates, parties or just dining alone. Post up at the bar, dining room, or patio. They have a Cafe menu (8:00 AM - 2:00 PM) with delicious pastries, sandwiches and more. I recently had a Seared Tuna Loin and it was so amazing! The sauce was spicy and delicious. They always update the menu with new recipes. Go check them out! 😊

Came here for brunch on a Sunday late morning, sitting in the courtyard. The Mercado Courtyard is a great, relaxed environment, whether dining at Agustin, Seis or having a coffee or pastry. The interior space looked beautiful as well, classy but casual. Our server Rene was friendly and attentive. The dishes were well prepared - Salmon Benedict and Monte Cristo with hash browns on the side. Some solid brunch cocktails on the menu. Prices on the higher end for brunch, but still reasonable.

We had Ben as our server for our dinner, we loved the recommendations from the staff for the appetizer and main. We got the tuna appetizer, we were skeptical about it when we read it but Ben recommended it so we gave it a shot, we were very glad that we did! Very fresh and all the flavors went well together. We were also recommended the vodka pasta by the hostess and that was divine! There was maybe an apple cider vinegar in the caramelized onions that was on top of the steak we got. It had an unexpected sweetness to it.

Nice space; decent food; bad service. After ordering drinks and appetizers, when it came time to order entrees, I ordered the lobster roll (which I was pleased to see, as it was not on the menu online). Waitress told me they didn't have it (strange because we had an early seating so couldn’t have run out). Tried ordering the mushroom entree. Also not available. Waitress should have informed us about these menu changes at the outset. Ordered a salad to split with another in our group. The didn't split it, leaving a whole-leaf salad for me to split at the table -- poor service for a somewhat expensive place trying to be fancy, especially when I asked for a split. Two of the entrees were decent; others were good. But not worth the price overall. Front of the house seemed understaffed - no one checked on us during the meal. We all had leftovers, and waitress showed pure displeasure about my request they box the food for us (I understand self-boxing at most places, but not at a restaurant where I'm spending hundreds of dollars). Nice space, but disappointing experience overall.

Augustin Kitchen has a way of blending modern dining with Tucson’s desert charm. The space feels stylish without being stuffy, with warm lighting and a layout that makes it just as good for a date night as it is for a dinner with friends. There’s an easy elegance to the place that makes you want to take your time. The food is well thought out and plated beautifully. Local ingredients show up across the menu, giving each dish a sense of place. The flavors are bold and creative, and you can tell the kitchen is aiming for something special. The portions lean toward the refined side, so this isn’t where you come just to fill up, it’s where you come to enjoy the craft of the meal. The service is attentive and professional, with staff who know the menu and can offer thoughtful recommendations. The cocktails and wine list round out the experience, giving you plenty of ways to pair your meal. Augustin Kitchen doesn’t miss often, but there are moments when a dish feels more about presentation than depth. Still, it’s one of those restaurants that leaves you glad you came, and looking forward to your next visit. Grateful Traveler’s Note

Passing through Tucson on a beautiful December day, we were looking for a place to have lunch outside with our dogs, who were traveling with us. Agustin’s courtyard turned out to be the perfect spot. The restaurant is part of a Mercado with several restaurants, a bakery, and shops surrounding the courtyard. We were able to enter with the dogs through a door at the back of the courtyard, adjacent to the large parking area. The dogs could also have entered through the front gate. The courtyard is filled with trees, plants, heaters for cool weather, and umbrellaed tables, about half of which belonged to the restaurant. We enjoyed the beautiful sunny day in this calm but fun and busy setting, but the courtyard is probably also very festive at night, lit by criss-crossing strings of Edison bulbs, from which stream ribbons of many bright colors, which reminded me of Tibetan prayer flags. The mainly white interior of the restaurant is bright and spacious, with dark tables. The 9-seat bar runs along one end of the room. The left end of the bar terminates at a pass-through window to the patio, for walk-up drinks or raw bar orders. The tables are well-spaced both inside and out. The menu (it may have been the lunch menu) was a small but well-curated mix of salads, starters, and sandwiches, plus a couple of bistro offerings (steak frites and mussels). We really enjoyed the sesame-crusted tuna salad and the chicken salad sandwich. The service was excellent. A perfect lunch on a perfect day in a perfect setting. YouTube’s Chef’s Apprentice

🔥Reviewing: Trident Grill ✌🏼 🔥Rating: 4.5 out of 5 (will definitely go back) 🔥Address: 2033 E Speedway Blvd (there’s multiple locations but this one is the one we went to). 🔥Number of people eating: 4 adults (me being 38 weeks pregnant). 🔥Hours: Sun-Thurs: 11am-11pm Fri-Sat: 11am-12am 🔥Happy Hour: Mon-Fri: 3-6pm 🔥Atmosphere: Very homey and inviting. Relaxed as well. Loved the vibe. This was at 12:30, was busy but wasn’t loud at all and chill. 🔥Staff: Shawna was our waitress and she was absolutely lovely and checked on us a few times to make sure the food was good and if we needed anything. We all even had some conversations with her as well which was cool. Very personable and professional. 🔥Food: My order: Fish & Chips (subbed for sweet potato fries). Fish was soooo juicy and freaking delicious! Mouthwatering! My drink was Dr Pepper since I really wanted strawberry lemonade which they don’t have unfortunately, I originally ordered regular lemonade but it was nasty 🤢 I sent it back and got Dr Pepper since they didn’t have root beer either lol. *My bill before tip: $25 2 friends order: Chicken tenders with fries and Sandwich. 2 drinks. *Bill before tip: $36 1 friend order: Steakhouse burger and water. *Bill before tip: $16 We all really enjoyed this place and will return! 🙌🏼

Mexican restaurant
Restaurant
Charro Steak & Del Rey is an industrial-chic steakhouse located in downtown Tucson, and it's the newest addition to the renowned Charro Legacy chain of restaurants with a history dating back to 1922. The restaurant prides itself on sourcing local, clean, and all-natural ingredients, ensuring that their beef and chicken are of the highest quality without added hormones or antibiotics.
This was our first visit to Charro Steak, we dined there for my husband's birthday. The Happy Hour specials are worth going early for. We had the oysters all 3 ways. They were fresh and delicious. For our main course we had the prime rib and filet with additional sides of macaroni and cheese as well as the corn. Both were very good, probably the best macaroni and cheese I've ever had. The alcohol menu is varied and the cocktails very unique. Highly recommend.

Went here for our anniversary, little confusing on which part to enter but got it straightened out fine. Service was great, our server had great recommendations, chips and salsa we really good, i would suggest keeping the salsa for the main dish. The steak was done very nicely. Bacon wrapped shrimp were very tasty. The dessert was excellent.

Not sure why we didn’t try Charro Steak & Del Rey sooner — but wow, we’ve been missing out! From start to finish, the experience was exceptional. We kicked things off with the table-side guacamole, made fresh right in front of us and paired with warm, bottomless tortilla chips. A perfect start. For dinner, I had the dry-aged Rib-eye, cooked to a flawless medium. One bite and it didn’t stand a chance — tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. My wife ordered the Filet, and it was just as impressive: buttery soft and seared to perfection. Yes, it’s on the pricier side, but the quality and care in both the food and service make it more than worth it. Charro Steak is officially in our top tier — and we’ll be back soon.

Simply awesome. This place has been on my list for a while. Finally made it. Steak cooked perfectly. Prime Rib was tender and juicy. Shrimp and Scallops were excellent. The Mexican twist really added great spice and well rounded flavor to everything. Nothing overwhelming. The green chile mashed potatoes were good but didn’t really taste the green chiles. Awesome roasted salsa. Shoulda bought a gallon of it. Only did 4 stars for atmosphere because it was a bit loud. Hard to hear server. I will be back.
Troy T — Google review
I scouted the place ~3 PM right after checking into the AC Marriott 30 feet across the street and the smell of the mesquite wood and seeing beef tallow on the menu for frying chips/french fries all but confirmed my later dinner visit. Having already gotten off a carne asada meat high in New York City just a few days ago (see my Los Tacos No. 1 review) I had the most wonderful server who provided focused recommendations on what I should order. She shared some of the history of the family behind the establishment and that they used traditional methods with only the most top quality grass fed and finished beef for the menu. No marinades here! They let the quality of the beef speak for itself. I do tend to think of amazing beef and Texas as a thang, but I am so pleased to announce that Tucson deserves a visit if only for a meal here. I started with a house salad with homemade lime ginger vinaigrette that could be the base of a cocktail it was so refreshing. Although I contemplated going with the bone-in ribeye to keep my cost down a little and because I wanted to compare it with my NYC experience I went with the carne asada served to medium-rare perfection. With an extra little dash of tableside salt and pepper and squishing the still hot fire-roasted lime the meat was incredibly tender and flavorful, delivered to my mouth in the freshly made flour tortilla and charro beans. What an insane steak taco experience. Mac & cheese is never a focus for me. If I’m offered it sure I’ll take it. But I highly recommend you order their Chile Verde Mac & Cheese, which has incredibly creamy and thick cheese sauce, imbibed with green chilies and other peppers on top-it is not spicy, it is just very robust with that pepper-forward cheese magic. The environment is very warm, cozy, modern and traditional all at once. This is the perfect restaurant made only better by attentive service from the only server I will recommend: Ro. Ask for her and then just relax, trust her guidance, and order. Choose to live in the moment with friends and strangers around you with your phone put away, your cares put on hold and enjoy your time at Charro Steak and the sister side Del Rey (which has the same menu). Bon mexi-friggen-appétit!

I am used to the A+ food and service, usually from bigger chains or high end. I must say that Charro & Del Rey blew it out of the water, with friendly staff, food and service. WOW. One of the best meals, period! Expensive, but, it was totally worth it.

Here’s a polished version of your Google review that keeps it authentic, fair, and professional while reflecting both the highlights and frustrations of your dining experience: ⸻ ⭐️⭐️⭐️ (3/5) We are frequent visitors to Tucson and love exploring the food scene, so we were excited to try Charro Steak & Del Rey. The ambiance is beautiful, sultry enough for a romantic night out, yet still welcoming for families or groups celebrating together. Definitely insta-worthy. We were warmly welcomed and quickly seated, which was a great start. Chips and salsa arrived quickly, but it took a while before water and drinks made it to the table. Our server explained that one of our cocktails required a trip to their sister restaurant, which contributed to the delay. Salsa offered so many delicious flavors, combined it was a jackpot. We ordered the Chef’s Cut of the night along with the tableside Caesar salad. The salad was a highlight w/ fun presentation, great story, and absolutely delicious. Unfortunately, nearly 30 minutes after ordering, we were told the entrée was no longer available. We quickly pivoted to another option, but by the time the steak arrived (about an hour into the meal), it was barely warm and slightly overcooked. The flavor of the Montana grass-fed beef was excellent, but the execution missed the mark for what should have been a standout dish. Dessert saved the evening, the lava cake was excellent. However, timing was again an issue: my original coffee cocktail couldn’t be made, so I switched to a chocolate espresso martini, which arrived after the ice cream with our dessert had already started melting. Overall, Charro Steak & Del Rey offers wonderful ambiance and great flavors, but our evening was overshadowed by timing issues, long delays, and missed expectations for a fine dining experience. I truly believe the food is very good here, just wish the service flow matched the quality of the ingredients.

Lovely place downtown for happy hour! $5 sangria, beers, margs. The sangria was absolutely delicious especially on a hot summer day. Service is great. Our bartender was attentive and friendly! The prickly pear albóndigas are my favorite. The meat is lean but the sauce is rich and has a kick to it. The charro burger is humongous and so juicy. I also recommend the charro dry aged prime rib. It’s so tender and melts in your mouth. The mashed potato on the side is also very good.

Py steakhouse is a high-end, classic steakhouse with a luxurious surf 'n' turf menu. The restaurant is located at Casino del Sol Resort in Tucson, and it offers amazing food and service. It's a great place to celebrate any special occasion!
First off, I highly recommend making a reservation. We made one weeks in advance and had no wait when we arrived. The staff are incredibly friendly and attentive. The food and drinks are absolutely divine. We had the 40oz porterhouse, which was cooked to perfection. For sides, I HIGHLY recommend the deep fried brussles and mashed potatoes. Our server recommended them, and I am glad I took his advice. Our server was Steven. He was absolutely amazing. We were there celebrating our anniversary and he actually took the time to ask us what we feel makes a marriage last. He was so very kind, professional, caring, and informative about the menu. We wanted for nothing in his care. Overall, this place was an incredible experience.

PY Steakhouse at Casino Del Sol is a must in Tucson. My favorite was the truffled prime rib eye starter - rich, tender, and packed with flavor. The baked oysters were also a solid opener. For the main, I went with the 26oz Cowboy Ribeye (USDA Prime, Del Bac whiskey rubbed, dry-aged in house) topped with lobster and truffle butter (they were out of shaved truffles, but the butter was a fantastic substitute). To pair it all, I tried the WhistlePig Flight (18yr Double Malt, 21yr Beholden, and Boss Hog X) - worth every sip. Outstanding service definitely recommend.

Wonderful experience. Originally we were going to dine at Fiesta Buffet. Once they quoted over $80 for two people with a military discount we opted to go elsewhere (it was seafood buffet). We decided on steak so went to PY Steakhouse. Though we had no reservations, after answering several questions; name, phone number, possible allergies, we wondered if we should brace ourselves for bloodwork or a credit check. We were then shown to our table. From then on it was pampering and sometimes a little show. We had no less than five people bring our main course out. Before that, someone brought a sprig of rosemary, lit it on fire then doused in butter (delicious). A waiter brought a fancy box of steak knives. I choose one with a pearl handle. Although our 43rd anniversary was last week, our waiter allowed/comped us a dessert of our choosing. We went with triple sorbet (two apple-cider and one pomegranate) with chocolate on the plate wishing us a Happy Anniversary. The steaks were extremely tender and flavorful. Despite trying to be cheapskates with the buffet, PY Steakhouse was so attentive and delicious it was well worth the cost. We’ve decided to celebrate our future anniversaries at PY. Thank you so very much!

The absolute best service by Jenih and Steve.. the food is over the top and it was my birthday and we could not have picked a better place. Who would have thought that a steakhouse in a casino one of the best if not the best restaurants in Tucson. Have you ever seen somebody just bring out a dessert menu for your birthday as a freebie with a variety of desserts that you would never see any restaurant.

Service was AMAZING! TOP-TIER! All restaurants should take note and remind themselves and staff that THIS is the expectation of food service. ALL food service personnel were present and / or made themselves easily available and professional. They were ell knowledgeable of the menu and personable. The atmosphere was clean, comfortable and pleasant. Often, when you go to a Steak House, as soon as you walk in, you can smell the red meat, blood and other meats. This was NOT the case here. There was a clean / non-scent. The food variety was plentiful and good. Our family ordered some of their finer dishes and while it was very good, it wasn't extraordinary as I expected. Some of their meats / proteins and veggies were on the tougher side. This was unexpected. The taste was good but some of the textures (toughness) took away from it. Will we be back? Yes! The professional and knowledgeable Wait staff is what will bring us back in hopes of having a better texturized meal.

So sorry I don't have pictures to share, and I don't remember names that well. BUT! This was a wonderful night. I must compliment the three awesome ladies that took care of our table last night. Well done! Starting with the Amuse-bouche to the Salad, Steak and Potatoes to the complimentary dessert because it was our anniversary, and finishing with a truffle at the end of the meal. Delicious. All of it. And so many special touches... The rosemary butter prepared at the table, the smoked old fashion at the table. And this blew me away. They brought out a case, and you could choose a Steak knife to use to cut your steak. How cool is that? Cool cool cool. Also I want to thank the two managers that stopped by our table to check how our dinning experience was going. I have had good steaks elsewhere, but never an experience like this. Thank you PY Steak House for a wonderful night. Great place to go to celebrate a special event, and make it even more special.

No wait on a Saturday morning. Cozy restaurant in downtown Tucson. The food was outstanding. The Godfather Benedict was excellent, with a side of Smashed Hash. The Hanger Steak and Eggs was perfectly seasoned and cooked, simply delicious. We got crumpets on the side and the homemade jam made for a delightful breakfast accompaniment. The Coffee drinks were excellent, a latte and a matcha. Highly recommend for a breakfast or brunch if you are in downtown Tucson.

We enjoyed a delicious lunch. Super cute restaurant. Friendly service. It's a scratch kitchen, so the food takes a little time. We enjoyed the burger and tamale cakes. Both were delicious and well served. Make sure to order the scones!

Saturday brunch at Nook was a total win! The hangar steak was really all that, perfectly cooked, served with a bright chimichurri, and paired with crispy smashed hashbrowns topped with micro greens. The plate also included two eggs, which we ordered scrambled soft. That can often be a gamble, but the chef nailed it! Absolutely perfect. We added a side salad and a side of blueberry pancakes, and both were outstanding. The salad was crisp and fresh, while the pancakes were light-as-a-feather fluffy with just the right balance of blueberries in every bite. The restaurant itself is cute and inviting, a great brunch spot in Tucson. The only miss for us was the coffee, which was on the weak side. Overall, Nook delivers robust flavors, freshness, and attention to detail in every dish. We’ll definitely be back!

I had a great experience at Nook! The atmosphere is warm and stylish without feeling over the top, and it really gives that cozy, modern neighborhood vibe. The menu has a nice balance of creative dishes and familiar favorites, and everything we tried was fresh and well-prepared. The highlights for me were the flavorful mains and the thoughtful presentation. You can tell the kitchen cares about both taste and detail. Service was friendly and attentive, though a bit on the slower side at times, which is the main reason I held back one star. Overall, Nook is a fantastic spot for anyone who enjoys elevated American cuisine with a fresh twist. I’d definitely come back and recommend it to friends!

We were in Tucson for the 4th Avenue Street Fair and just happened to find Batch…and oh my goodness…I’m so happy we did!!! We were in Tucson for 3 nights and we finished all 3 evenings with a night cap at Batch 🥃. We were also super lucky…on Fridays and Saturdays they have small batch doughnuts 🍩….yum 😋 The blackberry w/Crown Royal icing was so good…we ordered a second one 😂. The whiskey selection is amazing…the prices are great…the bartenders are very knowledgeable…and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Morgan, the head bartender, was even honored with his name on an Elijah Craig bottle!!!! We asked him to choose our next drink…several times…and they were all amazing. They make cocktails for the guests that don’t enjoy whiskey…but this is definitely a place to go if you want to try new whiskeys served neat 🥃. If you’re in Tucson…and enjoy whiskey…this is a must!!! We’re planning our next trip back, just so I can go here again 🤩🥃🤩

This place is like a food court. Many different vendors. Monster Sonoran Hot Dogs Cheesy Taco: It reminds me of a Birra taco but with a lot of cheese. It was delicious with a nice crunch. Only complaint is it was the size of a street taco. Monster Nachos: It is Doritios Loco Nachos with carnitas. The carnitas has a great flavor. The nachos cheese sauce is spicy. My favorite dish is nachos and I wouldn't order it again. Monster rolls: They had a great crunch. It was the same ingredients as a birra taco but like a egg roll. It tasted good. Walter's Gourmet Pizzeria Garlic knots: It wasn't what I expected. It had a light buttery garlic flavor but the texture of the bread didn't feel right. Buffalo Wings: They were hot. The ranch that came with it was really good. Chicken fell off the bone. Pizza: Not sure what the wife ordered but it had cheese, bacon, sausage, ham, and bacon. It was good and surprisingly it has a slight crunch like a thin crust pizza. Loved it.

I just had knee surgery so having a couch that I could prop my leg up on while we ate was the best experience I could ask for! The food was delicious also. Will very likely be back. I'm surprised we haven't stopped in sooner.

Great place for people who want to eat different food at the same place. It's very lively and can be loud, but also depends on where you're sitting. I would visit again and try different food.

I was brought here by my coworkers for my birthday, and we also came back a few days later. We definitely came back because the food options are great, the food is delicious (from the different vendors), and the atmosphere is super cool; lights not bright, people all over feeling easy, having fun and great conversations with the coworkers without the need of raising our voices, and more. The sushi is amazing, and the food from Kitchen 86 is very good. Definitely will come back more times in the future.

From LA came to this place in Tucson for some seafood it was a good choice. I enjoyed it. My husband loved it. The lady in the front taking my order was very nice. Good vibes .. Felt welcome.

If it was impossible to give Six Stars... I would be doing so right now. After being a glutton for almost every Taco I can get my hands on... in the "town of tacos" aka Tucson.... This ended up being what I consider the best in town! Don't let the fact that it's a food truck for you. Seafood is incredibly fresh. Reasonable price. The owner is amazing. Try crab tostada and for sure get a fish AND a shrimp taco

Me and my friend group came here for lunch and loved it so much that we came back a few hours later for some more! The outside looks unassuming but this was one of the most delicious tacos and tostadas we’ve ever had. It was so so fresh and full of flavor.. you won’t regret giving it a try! If we didn’t live in another state we’d be regulars. Plus the people working there are so nice and remembered our names when we came back the 2nd time. Worth a visit!

CRUDA Mariscos & Oyster Bar is a delightful culinary gem nestled in Tucson, Arizona, where the flavors of the Gulf of Mexico come alive. Owned by Danny Cordova, this vibrant eatery specializes in fresh seafood offerings that include delectable Kumamoto oysters and refreshing Micheladas topped with zesty ceviche. A standout dish is the Camaron Culichi, featuring shrimp or red snapper smothered in a rich cheese and poblano sauce.
Everything about this place is great. It's conveniently located across from a parking garage, unique to down town. It's basically all fish witch is extremely rare for a desert town like Tucson. It's menu is basically in Spanish, and I wouldn't have it any other way. The love music puts a perfect ribbon on a gem of a restaurant

THE GRILLED FISH TACOS ARE SO FREAKIN GOOD. EVERYTHING 11/10. Our waitress was kind as well. Everything was soooo good. The only bad thing was one of the older woman servers yesterday gave me the dirtiest look and rudely asked me “where are you going” as i walked to the bathroom. Super weird.

Got a molcajete, but where's the protein?!? It had a couple of shrimp floating around and much less scallops or the octopus i paid extra for. I won't be coming back, big rip off. Spent $200ish between 2 people on food and drinks (ordered lots of oysters and some alcoholic beverages). It almost felt like dealing with La Malinche effect. The gringos are going to order water and enjoy the free chips and salsa..fuimos a comer rico y a gastar con gusto. Lastima que el trato no estuvo al nivel, hermoso lugar, mesero amable y carismático pero se pasaron.

The Monica, a restaurant under the Flores Concepts group, offers a relaxed dining experience with a diverse menu featuring family recipes. The establishment prides itself on using local, fresh, and mostly organic ingredients while accommodating food allergies and health concerns. With an airy and fresh ambiance, it provides various seating options including indoor tables, patio seating, and outdoor lounge areas. Customers can expect minimal wait times for their hot and delicious meals as they enjoy the casual ordering process at the counter-register.
This place has been on my radar for a while but never had the chance to get downtown to try it. It was delicious and worth the wait. The vibe and atmosphere was great and the food was delicious. The ordering took a moment to figure out as you have the option to do it through a QR code, where you can open a tab and then close your tab.

Meh at best. Love the concept but delivery on the concept lacking. Charro breakfast burrito looks nothing like the pic when you order. Chilaquiles was more like a tostada, but great flavor. Cinnamon roll took FOREVER as it was cold when delivered initially... took it back up and after 10 minutes had to go find out where it was. Disappointing experience and on the fence for returning .

My food was yummy and didn’t take long to come out at all, neither did the food for my two friends. The music was great, the atmosphere lively and despite the huge group of people there that Sunday didn’t take long for a seat at all. I only give 4 stars because one of my two friends got her food, the chicken and waffles first before we got ours and now it makes sense like they may already had on hand and didn’t want to waste because was super dry and not very yummy. But the other two plates to come out were delicious and fresh! Especially my steak and eggs 🤤 I’d go again.

We ordered the Meat at Monica Pizzetta, and it was absolutely delicious 🤤. Seen in the pictures are also the two mocktails from the bar. The restaurant has seating options to match every vibe, from private booths to relaxed couches, along with both indoor and outdoor seating. It’s well-lit and has a calm, welcoming atmosphere. We really loved our time there💕

The menu may be "tipica americana", but the food is ridiculously good, the cocktails are fantastic (get the "Screw the Diet" while you can), and the service is impeccable. Great big shout out and kudos to bartender Stacy, an incredibly gracious hostess and deadly mixologist - she elevated the whole afternoon. The Monica is the best thing going downtown. Thank you all!

Weekday lunchtime can be busy. This is a walk up to the counter and order place. While they have individual table QR codes to order from your table, the connection is very slow so we went up to the counter. Follow the arrows on the ground to order. Accepts El Charro gift card....remember get them in July for special discounts. The seared ahi tuna tostada was delightful and had a wide variety of toppings including edamame. A little light on the spicy guacamole. Tostada shells were average. Pickup some extra napkins as it can be messy. The burger was delicious. The walnut brownie is simply great. Moist and with a firm top. Patio tables are available and a lot quieter.

I got a steak with fries and gravy. It was yummy. We also got the risotto at the table. It was loved. The outside seating worked out well for us. I'm pretty sure I got a beer too but I don't remember if it was local or not. Please don't forget to tip your server.

IDK… It’s just… fine. It’s overpriced for just counter service. Had breakfast here a few times over the years and it’s always been just kinda average, but for the price especially, not really worth it. Flavors and food all are just mid. Also, can y’all step up your coffee game? Ordered a cappuccino and it had no foam, was way too big(like 12oz), a cap should be 6oz max, and it was served in a to-go paper cup. I noticed coffee mugs on the way out the doors… why do you have mugs then? $85 before tip for two adults and two kids.

The restaurant is known for its attentive staff and award-winning dishes like spinach and cheese souffle, seafood lasagnette, and grilled chicken with eggplant and mushroom. It's a popular choice for special occasions and also offers private dining options.
Very nice restaurant. Friendly waitress. Bartender saw us standing behind a crowded bar and he personally walked up to my husband and I and took our order. His drinks were 100% well made and served! Dinner was delicious as well as dessert! We got the meatballs Alfredo, penne sausage for dinner. We tried all the desserts and they were all tasty. The wine selection was excellent and the waitress recommend a wonderful Italian red wine! Highly recommend when visiting Tucson

Having been to Vivace over a dozen times in the past four months, I haven't had a single poor experience. Each dish I've had (nearly everything on the menu) has been perfectly curated and beautifully presented. Staff, from valet to hostess to servers, are friendly and professional. The bartenders have "top-shelf" personalities to match their skills. The owner, Dan, often personally thanks guests on their way out. Vivace offers an intimate setting with spectacular views, marvelous food, perfect cocktails, and unreal desserts.

One of the finest meals we've had in Tucson ... and that's saying something. From the simple but elegant tables and decorations, to the superb wait staff -- attentive but not bothersome, to the superb food (well, with one teensie weensie exception) ... and the views (both from the Southern 'lower dining room' to the Northern 'upper dining room and patio ... this is a simply wonderful place to eat, to dine, to enjoy each other's company. My wife adored the Veal Piccata. I thought that meatballs and marinera sauce were the VERY BEST in Tucson (although I think I would have preferred the linguine to the penne that I ordered). AND the "Birthday Creme Brulee" was superb. We liked the Birthday Creme Brulee so much we ordered a 'standard' Creme Brulee. Again, it was great (and for only $10.00!!!) but they had not flamed the maple sugar long enough, and so there was some graininess of the unmelted sugar on the bottom of the caramelized topping. This was one, every so slight, blemish, in what was an all-around magnificent dinner. (Sorry, Google will not allow me to upload photos taken with my iPhone.)

From the outside, it really dors look like an Italian villa. When we walked in, it did as well. It was a quality experience for my cousin and I. We were celebrating my birthday. We are half Italian and appreciate good quality food. This restaurant delivered that and more. The food, the service, and the atmosphere made all the difference in the world. The entrée was delicious, the bread they served was as well, and the desserts were absolutely delicious. We had the crème brûlée and the lemon mousse dessert. If you want a quality experience with the atmosphere of Italy, please visit them.

It was one of the best dinners we had in Tucson. Outstanding braised lamb shank and perfectly cooked burger. The guacamole was awesome too. My smoky/fire mixed drink came with a square ice cube - loved! + It was very balanced and tasty

Came here for a Friday night dinner with a few friends. The restaurant is beautiful but the service was sub-par and the food hit-or-miss. For the prices, that was unacceptable. For example, we ordered the filet mignon, potatoes, beans, pozole, carne asada tacos, salmon belly, and corn bread. Of those, the steak, cornbread, and salmon belly were very good. The beans and potatoes were decent. And the pozole and carne asada tacos had NO seasoning to the point of being inedible. In the southwest? A carne asada or pozole without spices? And the waiter, who saw that we didn’t like those dishes because they were left mostly on the plate, didn’t check in to see if everything was ok. Nor did they check in with us when the food took 40 minutes to arrive. For the money, there are MANY better places in Tucson. Would not return here or recommend to others.
Gloria M — Google review
It’s been 13 years since I last dined at the Flying V Bar & Grill at the Loews Ventana Canyon Resort in Tucson, and my recent return was both a nostalgic trip and a delightful rediscovery. The restaurant’s ambiance has only become more spectacular over time—walk through the elegant wooden doors and you’re greeted by a warm, Southwestern-inspired interior, with rustic wooden beams, earth-toned walls, and glowing pendant lights that create an inviting lodge-like feel. Just beyond lies the terraced deck, where you can sip your cocktails while gazing out over a serene lake, the well-manicured golf course, and the breathtaking Catalina Mountains and the Tucson city lights in the distance. It’s a magical setting that showcases the desert’s natural beauty in all its twilight glory. We began our evening with two signature cocktails: the PICANTE COWBOY and the CROWN JEWEL. The PICANTE COWBOY—featuring Maker’s Mark, Ancho Reyes Verde, ginger agave, lemon, and hellfire bitters—offered a bold, smoky flair underpinned by a subtle peppery kick. The ginger agave added a pleasant sweetness, balancing the tang of the lemon and spice from the bitters perfectly. Meanwhile, the CROWN JEWEL—mixed with Patron Reposado, pineapple turbinado, and orange bitters—delivered a tropical fruitiness that was neither saccharine nor overpowering. Both drinks were impeccably balanced and showcased thoughtful mixology, though at a premium price point. Sipping these alongside a basket of fresh artisan bread and a luxuriously whipped butter “concoction” felt like a quintessential Southwest indulgence. For dinner, we shared the GRILLED PRAWNS—a dish composed of leche de tigre, cucumber, serrano, coconut milk, cilantro, and confit squash. The flavors dazzled with their bright acidity, creamy coconut undertones, and fresh herbal notes. My only critique was the portion—three sizable prawns made it awkward to share, and we found ourselves playfully vying for the “odd one out.” Moving on to our main course, we opted for the CHILEAN SEABASS. Presented in a pool of walnut consommé with kabocha squash and a dusting of pistachio matcha, the fish was expertly cooked to a buttery, flaky finish, seasoned just enough to enhance without overwhelming its natural richness. Curiously, both dishes arrived with the same slice of undercooked squash. While flavorful in theory, the squash’s firm texture left parts of it inedible. It was a minor misstep but noticeable given the otherwise refined execution of the plates. Service throughout the evening was prompt, friendly, and knowledgeable—servers appeared at just the right moments, kept our glasses filled, and were eager to answer any questions. The romantic atmosphere, panoramic views, and the warm glow from the interior’s rustic décor all contributed to a memorable night. Though portion sizes were on the modest side—particularly for the price—the overall experience of dining at the Flying V Bar & Grill remains elevated by the quality of the cuisine, the captivating setting, and the attentive service. After 13 years away, I’m delighted to report that Flying V continues to shine as one of Tucson’s most distinctive and enjoyable dining venues. JS ;-)

Wow! This place for dinner was amazing! My sister order scallops, I ordered duck, and my husband got steak. The price was worth it! The flavor for it's price was great! We also got the pork and fruit appetizer. But I would come back here just to get a tray of scallops they were so good, they were soft and buttery and flavorful and then crispy on the outside. The duck I got with the pico was not spicy at all which was nice and it was actually more of a sweet/savory, delicious! And my husband's steak flavor I don't know how to describe, maybe smokey? Very mystic type flavor and the fries he got with I believe their house made ketchup was also very good. We did decide to try dessert! My husband got butterfly lemon cake of some sort and I ordered the mousse, it was very rich! We all probably could've shared it if we wanted because I ate only a little then took the rest to go. The wait staff was very attentive to us and made sure our waters were full and checked on us to see if we needed anything else, ect.

Really unique ingredients. The flavors were much more interesting and complex than I'd expected. I thought the caldo de queso would be a straightforward cream-based, potato cheese soup. I was way off. It was so much more than that. And the mushroom tamales were something else. They're almost fried. Total game changer.

The food was excellent! Our favorite was the special, which was the lamb shank with sweet potatoes mash and tortillas. The ribeye with crab bearnaise was very good though.

The foods were delicious and mouthful. Be aware the full baby back ribs portion is huge so it might take a few men to finish. Great for sharing though. The portion of the Cesar's salad was small for sharing more than 2 people. View was nice and service was great! The worn chair cushions were kind of throwing me off but not such a big deal. Overall still earned a 5 stars for my experience.

We started at the resort and came here for dinner. The atmosphere was really nice especially when there was a live performance of guitar. The service was also great. The food was pretty good slightly short to the great level— the paella was a bit too sour and on the watery side, personally thinking; some of the asparagus was bit crunchy.

I'm one word - excellent. I haven't been there for a long time and we wanted Mexican food close to midtown. We got there at 7pm on a Wednesday, the place was pretty busy and we were seated right away. The waiter took our drink order within minutes and then we had table side salsa, which might have been the best salsa I've ever had. Fresh and delicious. Beers and margaritas were ice cold and tasty, and the food was spot on. We had the poblano sea bass, carne asada steak, and combinations of tacos, Chile relleno and tamale. Everyone loved their food, everything was cooked to perfection and it was just a lovely evening. Again, the service was spot on and professional. Highly recommend!

Quite enjoyed my experience at Guadalajara. After ordering the salsa and scarfing it down, as it was absolutely delicious, I was unpleasantly surprised there was a charge for additional salsa. However, I paid the fee and ordered another round. The chicken fajitas were good; not as flavorful as I'd expected, but the chicken was cooked well and there were lots of vegetables! I'd never had tortillas cooked lightly before-- I had only had them cooked through, but they were just fine. The waitresses were attentive and helpful. Great place to stop in for a lunch! If you’re looking for a fun Mexican food experience, Guadalajara is one of my Tucson faves. I’m lucky to have the Prince Rd location nearby—perfect for a quick dinner, happy hour margs, or a festive spot to bring out-of-town guests. We popped in for a quick Sunday dinner around 5 p.m. and beat the crowd. It does get busy during peak hours, especially for large parties, so plan ahead! I love that I can make a full meal just from the appetizer section. My go-tos: the Manchegos—crispy mini quesadillas with buttery manchego cheese, the Ceviche de Camarón—shrimp chopped just right for chip-loading ease, and a Shredded Beef Hard Taco—flavorful, juicy, and generously topped. The star of the show? Their table-side salsa and guac made by the friendly Salseras in traditional dress—customized to your liking and served with perfectly crispy chips. It’s a whole vibe, and don’t forget to tip them! We sipped on a classic House Margarita and my fave: a Frozen Mango Margarita with Tajín. Drinks are strong and tasty every time. Service was fantastic—shoutout to Paloma for taking great care of us! The restaurant is colorful, clean, and full of energy. Whether you’re with family, friends, or a big group, Guadalajara is a Tucson must-visit—and I’m proud to be a happy regular.

This is an old style Mexican food restaurant. All of the food is made the old way. Just like you would find in mommas kitchen. The price is reasonable and the taste is better than any modern cafe. The shredded beef is very soft and flavorful. There are no deep fried tacos or canned sauce on the enchiladas.

I have seen advertising stating that the best Mexican food, is in Tuscon Arizona. Well after eating here I can understand why that might be true. The atmosphere is fantastic. From our seating to the finish, everything was perfect. The waitress was friendly and inviting, and the margaritas were wonderful, this was the first time I was offered anything other than salt on the rim of the glass. I chose Tajin and it was great. Then they make the salsa for your chips table side, mild, medium, or hot. The was some of the best salsa I've ever had. I ordered 2 appetizers. The Queso Birria Tacos with Consume was fantastic. Secondly, the Mexican Street Corn, it was fantastic too and there was plenty of it, I couldn't eat it all but I tried. I couldn't recommend this place enough, and when I return, I won't miss it. BRAVO.

Highly recommend. We went for lunch and will definitely go back for dinner soon. Great flavors. Excellent service.

We celebrated our 25th anniversary. The food was wonderful. Seasoned to perfection! Our waitress forgot we were there, and we couldn't get her attention for about a half hour, but in her defense, it was busy for a Wednesday night. Plan on spending about 1.5 hours there. PS. It's kinda loud. The acoustics could use some help to quiet it down a bit, but it's a restaurant, not a music hall! Overall, I highly recommend it. 👌

Located in downtown Tucson, Arizona, HUB Restaurant & Ice Creamery is a trendy spot popular with a young crowd. The restaurant offers a modern twist on comfort food and serves homemade ice cream made just across the street. In addition to its delicious food offerings, the area is also home to several distilleries and breweries for those interested in local spirits and craft brews. Visitors can enjoy dishes like hot wings and cheese curds while savoring delectable ice cream flavors.
I don’t go to The Hub very often but when I do I am reminded why I like this place so much. I came here for my birthday dinner by reservation. Depending on the vibe you are going for this is a pretty classy place. The ambiance is very much on the chill side. The lighting isn’t overwhelming and bright. The view to the outside is beautiful as you can see downtown and the greenery outside. The food was spectacular! Made perfectly and absolutely delicious. Everything was made as ordered and flavorful. This was an overall great visit and place to eat with friends.

I visited The Hub Restaurant & Ice Creamery on a quiet Wednesday night (3/5/25), and while the experience had its highs and lows, it was overall a decent outing. Starting with the service—it was good. The staff was attentive and friendly, making sure everything was taken care of. However, the food itself was a bit underwhelming. I tried the Prime Rib Fries, and while the portion was fair, the meat was slightly dry. The cheese sauce, unfortunately, had seized up under the heat lamp, likely due to the slower night. The Buffalo Wings were at least served warmer and had a standard flavor you’d expect at most places offering wings, but nothing particularly stood out. What did stand out was the ambience. The mix of exposed brick and modern design gave the restaurant a stylish yet comfortable feel, making it a great spot to relax in downtown Tucson. Overall, The Hub delivers a nice setting and solid service, but the food could use a little more attention—especially when it’s not busy. I’d be open to giving it another try, maybe on a busier night when everything is fresher.

In my Tucson's top 5. The best pastrami meat Ive ever tasted, everythingelse we ordered was delicious too. Great customer service included.

Went here for dinner since it was close to the hotel I was staying at. I ordered the Calamari to start and I was surprised in a good way. It was a very Asian inspired dish that was very different for this type of restaurant. The tempura was the right amount of crisp. As my main I ordered the seared salmon over risotto. As the salmon was seared, I was expecting it to be a little raw in the center. Still great with the compliment of the cheesey risotto and the hint of cranberries. Very good overall and would go back.

The Hub was the spot. We went in knowing exactly what we wanted based on some social media posts. We chose the Mac n Cheese (with chicken) and the Pot Pie (with Chicken). They DOD NOT disappoint, delicious. Weather was pleasant so we sat outside, inside did look nice and comfortable. The bourbon whiskey selection was insane, reasonably priced pours.

Ordered a non alcoholic drink of blue color and it was so soothing. Took fish and chips. The fish was not fully marinated and cooked. The fries with cheese and herbs were good. The pistachio ice cream was delicious. The ambience is very family oriented and lively. The service is great.

First night officially open! Valentine's Day! Great unique menu. We both went Sea Bass! Most wise decision! Amazing. Had appetizer clam chowder soup and shrimp, Desert Lemon curd tart and strawberry cheese cake. Yummy. Did the Custom cocktails too. Very fun outdoor dining experience. Ed was a good server. Manager checked in too! Highly recommend giving the Hub a try.

Zinburger is a local chain known for its gourmet burgers, shakes, and a variety of beverages including wine, beer, and cocktails. The casual yet hip atmosphere adds to the dining experience. Additionally, patrons can enjoy complimentary soft-serve ice cream with options to customize it using toppings from the salad bar. Customers have praised the outstanding food and service at Zinburger, with particular mention of friendly staff members who provide excellent recommendations.
Went there for the first time and it's was a 10/10. Best burger I've ever had. Got the Diablo which wasn't too spicy along with the green chillies fries. My girlfriend had the double smash burger and it was also great. Will be going back.
Jesus V — Google review
I ordered the Zinburger and it was pretty good. I will say it was extremely juicy and it was pretty hard to keep it together to eat. I felt like it was missing something flavor wise. Both the burgers themselves were too salty. The fries though could have used salt. The kids max and cheese was really good!
Sam C — Google review
We recently visited Zinburger for a very special reason—to give our sweet pup Rocky one last meal. From the moment we walked in, the staff went above and beyond. They greeted us warmly, made Rocky feel like a star with pets and attention, even brought him water, and kept our drinks full without us ever needing to ask. The food is always excellent, but this time it was the kindness and compassion of the staff that truly stood out. At the end, they let us know Rocky’s cheeseburger and milkshake were on the house—a gesture that meant the world to us. That compassion left a lasting impression, and we’ll be coming back often not just for the great burgers, but for the incredible people. 10/10.

Ordered food to go for pick up at 12. Didn't know that meant my food would be cold. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I shouldn't have to reheat a $15 burger that I just picked up less that 5 minutes ago. The cheese on the meat is already turning dark from sitting there. I won't be back. I should have went to Mcdonalds! That says a lot. 😂🤦🏻‍♀️

The carryout service was great. The food not so much, I've never had a bad burger from this place before. This was just totally unacceptable but we were not able to get our orders corrected due to it being lunch for work. 224.00 spent on burgers for them to pretty much raw.. They were just basically SEARED then thrown in between Buns. I guess that's what they do for BIG orders that need to be done by a certain time.
Vanessa H — Google review
Excellent smash burgers and salads. The waitress was a little slow to drink refills. Nice upscale burger joint.
Reed B — Google review
This is for takeout. My order had a couple of issues. The side salad is just lettuce, literally, just lettuce, nothing else. And my burger, raw! I put medium, I guess medium means raw. Maybe next time I will put well done and they'll cook it medium rare.
Superendorsement — Google review
OMG! I don't know where to start. Been here 20-30 times over last 5 years, never had problem with service/food. Tonight was a nightmare bartender seemed to have a attitude from start. Ordered hamburger medium done, she said a little pink OK I said perfect. She started breaking down bar and cleaning,it's like 7:15 Saturday night. She's putting bottles on bar in front of us and then she starts spraying this cleaning compound on everything behind bar then leaves. The smell of cleaning compound not very nice! Food comes out( keep in mind this place is dead on Saturday night no one here. Hamburger is raw! I'm cool with pink hamburgers but this thing was still bleeding. Something is going on with this location maybe time for some fresh employees instead of these guys that have been here 10+ years. Even more crazy I complain to manager she didnt charge me for hamburger, then bartender slammed bottle on bar while we were still eating trying to piss us off. Guess what! SHE DID!

The Parish is a charming gathering place in Tucson that offers a delightful blend of Southern-style dishes and an extensive drink menu, all set amidst local art. The restaurant takes pride in serving up comforting flavors of Southern cuisine, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for diners.
I had the catfish and chips. It was amazing! My friend had the gumbo I tried it it was great. They hands down have the best hush puppies I've ever had in my life. I really don't think I've had a hush puppy until visiting here cuz it was different and amazing. The service was amazing in the atmosphere is incredible. I would highly recommend this place if you're looking for genuine Cajun Creole food!
David M — Google review
I had mixed feelings about my experience at The Parish. The food was definitely the highlight — everything I ordered was flavorful and well-prepared. You can tell the kitchen takes pride in the dishes they serve. Unfortunately, the service didn’t match the quality of the food. Our server wasn’t very attentive — we waited quite a while to get her attention multiple times throughout the meal. It felt like we were forgotten at points, which took away from the overall experience. The atmosphere was okay — nothing particularly memorable, but not unpleasant either. With some improvements in service and a little more energy in the dining space, this place could be a solid go-to.

Great food, I got the parish burger, if you like red onions its a great burger. My dads steak and frites were the highlight of the table, super tender and juicy and fries were fluffy and crunchy. The Smoked chicken and waffles were great as well. Very nice environment, we could all talk without any issues. Very much recommend for a family or even a big party

Had an amazing experience! The food was amazing! Great atmosphere. We had a private party & utilized the section in the back. Such a fun place with the decor authentic to NOLA. We had amazing service. Raymond was great!! Definitely recommend & we will be back!
Z A — Google review
As someone born in New Orleans, I can promise that The Parish is one of the best restaurants in Tucson for scratch-made, Southern-inspired food with a bold Cajun twist! This locally-owned gastropub delivers on flavor, atmosphere, and cocktails. The drinks were impressive. The Sister Lost Soul (Tucson’s 2024 City of Gastronomy Cocktail of the Year) was smooth and layered, while the Mrs. KC Mule, made with house-infused strawberry basil vodka, elderflower, and ginger beer— was refreshing and bright. We started with the Black & Blue Brussel sprouts, which had a great kick from the seasoning and blueberry hot sauce—crispy, smoky, and addictive. The Cast Iron Cornbread was fresh from the oven, perfectly crunchy on the outside with cinnamon and honey shining through, served with sweet bourbon butter. The Gumbo was hearty and deeply satisfying and the added Crawfish perfectly cooked. And the Drunken Angel pasta—Burgundy angel hair with shrimp, crawfish, lobster broth, saffron cream, and parmesan—was absolutely fantastic! For dessert, the bread pudding was warm, rich, and decadent—the perfect to end to a Louisiana meal. Our server Shawn was wonderful - friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. My water glass was never empty. The Parish nails it with eclectic vibe, warm service, and unforgettable food. If you’re searching for where to eat in Tucson, this is it! Highly recommend!

Ghini's French Caffe, located in a strip mall near Phoenix, AZ, is a charming and popular spot offering French-inspired breakfast and lunch options. The restaurant has been serving its loyal customers for over 27 years with dishes like Croque Madame variations, Breakfast Burgers, and Grilled Breakfast Sandwiches available all day. The warm and inviting atmosphere makes it an ideal place for a romantic breakfast or leisurely meal.
Ghini’s is the best of Tucson! The service is always great and the food superb. It is such a welcoming and appealing little cafe. The only downsides are that it is often so very busy there’s a wait and that one must order from the attached bakery separately in order to enjoy a pastry in the restaurant, however these idiosyncrasies only add to the charm of this amazing place. If concerned about the price; order a western omelette and share it, there’s enough for two. For fuller appetites, follow it up with an order of crepes for dessert and you will be full til dinner.

Fantastic blend of food! Ended up getting the omelette Italiano which was both unique and delicious. Staff was friendly, service was swift, and it was nice to see pet friendly seating so I know I can bring my dogs if I’m back in the area. Only downside was the pricing which had me feeling like I was living on O’ahu again.

The moment I stepped into Ghini's French Caffe, I felt like I’d left Tucson behind and wandered into a cozy corner of Paris where time slows down. I know that environments can deeply shape our emotions, and here, everything is designed to embrace you: antique objects whispering stories, tables inviting closeness, and soft French music that makes you feel just steps from the Eiffel Tower. We came for a family breakfast, and the experience was Great. I ordered a coffee—pleasant and comforting—but the true healing came in the form of the Eggs Provençal. Now I understand why it’s their signature dish: every bite felt like a love letter to French cooking. My wife ordered the Classic Ham Croque, and without a single crumb left behind. In a world that rarely pauses, this place is a delicious stop worth making. A Tucson gem that feeds both body and soul.

Fabulous! The service was quick and very friendly. The bread to start was decent. Then we had the Brie en Croute which was delicious. I had the duck and my boyfriend had the half chicken. Both were so yummy and came with a side of herbaceous veggies we both really enjoyed. Portions were good too, we both needed boxes. We hope to come back soon and try dessert!

It was great and I’d return and bring friends! We went for my birthday, the table got a few rounds of drinks (the old fashioned was 10/10), we ordered the pear Brie and onion soup for appetizers and they were amazing. The Boeuf Wellington was fire, I asked for medium rare-rare and it was slightly more medium done but was so tender I am not complaining! Had the creme brulee for dessert and it was so buttery creamy, one of the best I’ve had. Service was good, we were waited on attentively and everyone was very nice.

My husband and I came for a date night without our baby. The food was fabulous, the service was great, and the ambience was very nice. We were wowed by the scallops, beef Wellington, French onion soup, and the Pithivier. I wish we had been here sooner, but we will absolutely be back for date nights. I would put this near the top of my list of favorite Tucson restaurants!

BLUF: My favorite restaurant in all of Tucson so far! Likely the best French food in the city! Unassuming exterior, but hiding inside is a world class dining experience with great service, excellent food, and quaint atmosphere. Right after walking in, I was greeted by name and seat immediately (I had a reservation). Service was prompt and I was pleased to see a small plates option where I could try many things. Bread came quickly, but it seemed like standard grocery store baguette. In true French fashion the rest of the food took a while to come out (30-40 min, but worth the wait). I did seat pretty close to 2 other tables which I could hear their conversations very clearly, which isn’t ideal. But the rest of the restaurant fades into a nice ambient noise creating a pleasant dining atmosphere. I started with the beef Wellington. The pastry crust was unfortunately a bit soggy and didn’t stay with the beef, but otherwise the dish was excellent. The beef was tender and well seasoned. The sauce had all the good and rich flavors of the beef that made the dish tantalizing and addicting. I had to use some bread to soak up the rest of the sauce. Then I had the mussels. The portion was fairly generous, the mussels were fresh enough, and the sauce/broth it came in paired synchronously with the mussel. The sauce was a little over salted/concentrated on its own, but when you eat the mussel, not much sticks so it balances out into a nice flavor-rich bite. In fact, I recommend doing a light scoop with the shell and eat the mussel that way to get a bit more sauce. My main course was the roasted duck. The crust on the duck was near perfect; I could hear the crunch as I cut into it. The meat itself was a tad overcooked to where some bites were dry, but there were a few perfect bites with perfectly tender and moist meat. The berry glaze was also amazing. Its acidity and sweetness cuts through the fattiness of the duck, keeping the dish balanced. My only complaint is that it didn’t come with enough glaze. There wasn’t enough to use the glaze on the sides nor about the last 1/3 of the duck. To finish, I had their almond dessert. To me it was somewhere between an almond croissant and a churro. It was hot, crispy, and flaky. It had a light but very present almond aroma. The sweetness was delightful and not overbearing. The hot and crispy pastry paired with the creamy vanilla ice cream honestly was heavenly. This had got to be the best dessert I’ve had in a long while. Admittedly my heart winced a bit when I got the check. But considering the quality of service and the food I think it was worth every penny. Definitely will be back!

I really like this place. First of all, food and cocktails are very delicious. Sweetness and saltiness is very tightly balanced, which I love. Additionally, layers of other flavors are rich yet not overwhelming. The crew was very friendly and kind 🤩, and the overall experience was cozy and amazing. Recommending this place 100%

One of our favorite fine dining places in town for a special meal with friends. The choices on the list of specials that evening were too enticing to miss. We tried the surf & turf - A Ribeye cooked to a perfect medium rare served with shrimp and a red pepper compound butter. And the Fish of the Day - Halibut en Papillote (steamed in a parchment packet and presented table-side, so the server could plate it for you) We started with Escargot, the Mussels in a garlicky creamy broth, and the Coquille St Jacques - Scallops served on the shell in a creamy sauce and broiled with cheese. Each appetizer gave us plenty of rich sauces perfect for soaking up with endless baskets of French bread. Not only is the bread delicious, it’s not an extra item you have to order off the menu. What was really special is the way the staff took care of us. The head waiter was knowledgeable and knew to allow us time to linger over the food and good company. It seemed that each of the staff on the team checked in at one point or another. We ended the meal with a Baba au Rum. This could also double as an after-dinner digestif, as it was heavily soaked in liquor. I’m not complaining! The attention to detail keeps us coming back when we can treat ourselves for a special occasion. But we could easily make a meal out of apps and dessert to keep it more affordable.

I held a private event here and cannot recommend this restaurant enough. The service was exceptional from my initial phone call for information all the way to the end of my dinner. The manager, Vila Jarrell welcomed my mother and me during our initial consultation and helped make my evening everything I hoped it could be. She was very communicative throughout the process. We split the 22 oz prime bone-in rib-eye it was good. Came with smashers and a whole carrot, very good. Also ordered mac n cheese & onion rings... delicious. The cocktails came quickly..refreshing & yummy! Celebrating my BDay got chocolate, huge slice moist and delectable. Took a slice of carrot cake home. Best carrot cake I have ever had! Horrible food compared to the price paid. Nothing special about the place. -The chef didn't know how to cook a well-done rack of lamb. I received a medium rack of lamb. The Cork Tucson, established in 1966, is a vintage restaurant located in an architecturally impressive building made of Mexican-crafted adobe bricks. It offers sustainably caught seafood and prime steak, poultry, and exotic game. The cozy and romantic setting features fireplaces and a patio for a warm dining experience. The restaurant takes pride in its Southwestern heritage and is known for its iconic status as the last standing restaurant on Tucson's Restaurant Row.
I had a great experience here at The Cork. The atmosphere was dark and romantic inside, and quiet and spacious outside. I was able to have a whole area and table to myself! The server was great and the rest of the staff was amazing as well. The food was cooked to perfection, the plate was clean before I left. I'll def get the steak next time, I got the lamb chops this time around. Highly recommend this place if you're in the area!

I’m only giving it 3 stars bc for the price, I don’t think it was anything special. Out of everything we ordered we loved the mushrooms, those were amazing! We also ordered a jumbo shrimp cocktail that had 4 shrimp for $20. They were good but not worth $5 each. I ordered the prime rib medium rare with shrimp mashed potatoes and rice, it was ok. The meat was super bloody so I had to send it back to be cooked a little longer. I’d say my husband’s plate was the better one. We sat outside and enjoyed the night even tho we were sat right by a water pipe, so every time they either flushed the toilet or opened up the water you could hear it. I don’t think we’ll be back. We spent a little over $300

Took my hubby for his bday. He tried the bison, I had the ribeye with poblano special. Our son has the filet mignon. All steaks were cooked to perfection. Service was cordial. I was expecting a bit more about the ambiance. We sat on the patio. While it was comfortable, you only saw an appartmen complex. If you dont care too much about the ambiance and love a good steak, I highly recommend this place. I usually take pictures before we start eating, but we could not stop eating since it was yummy!

This restaurant is one of my favorite go-to spots whenever I have company come into town or if I’m just in the mood for a good steak! Their espresso martini’s rocked my socks off and their appetizers are perfection. But what tops all of that? They serve interesting game such as Kangeroo (which I HIGHLY recommend) and last time I had rack of Elk with roasted grapes on it…YUM! From drinks to appetizers, entrees to desserts, you cannot go wrong here. Highly recommend to all my food lovers!

I don’t know why this place was so popular. I guess it’s the varieties of food. I had to give it a try, It was ok in my opinion but don’t get upset because I didn’t give 5 stars rating, this is just my personal opinion /experience. They were very accommodating and we were seated outside facing the apartment buildings looking at the views of other peoples belongings was not how I wanted to spend my time with my husband first time there. It was a little disappointing because it was very expensive. I have traveled and dine in the most nicest place where it was very good as well. All in all, it was just my first time there , so who knows I might go back in the near future to give it another try. If you have not been there before be sure to check this place out. An absolute adventure for my taste buds. The Wild Game appetizer allows you to taste the Kangaroo, Bison and Venison, all of which are very flavorful. The Sonoran week 3-course special was worth a try. A perfect meal, from start to finish.

Inca's Peruvian Cuisine is a delightful culinary gem nestled in the Tucson foothills, where you can embark on a flavorful journey to South America. The restaurant, owned by Fatima Campos—a Mexican woman who fell in love with Peruvian culture—offers an array of authentic dishes that reflect her husband's heritage. You must try the succulent pollo a la brasa, Peru's renowned rotisserie chicken, or indulge in their refreshing ceviches and hearty seco de carne con frejoles.
Enjoyed our meal and music at Inca’s Peruvian restaurant. We tried Chica Miranda, a purple drink, so refreshing and healthy. Very flavorful dishes. We tried the shrimp cocktail that had awesome dipping sauce. Live Peruvian and Spanish band was playing inside and outside the restaurant. Lovely evening. Definitely coming back.

Traveled from TX to AZ today on vacation. First stop was Inca’s. Was so impressed by the online menu that we waited outside for almost an hour and a half until they opened. Let me tell you-it was so worth the wait. The ceviche was amazing, like heaven! The Lomo Saltado was perfectly cooked and the Pisco Sour was a delicate drink with amazing taste. To top it off, Douglas was the epitome of professionalism and was a pleasure to engage with. Honestly, this place impressed me so much that I would have no problem hopping on a plane from Dallas to Tucson just to have dinner. Keep up the amazing work, Inca’s. Will definitely be back!

We visited this little gem of a restaurant to experience Peruvian cuisine, and we were thoroughly impressed by the incredible food. We kicked off our meal with their Ceviche, which, drenched in fresh-squeezed lime juice, was absolutely phenomenal. We also ordered two of their signature seafood dishes, and both were nothing short of exquisite. The staff was not only friendly but also attentive, ensuring our dining experience was top-notch. If you’re in search of outstanding Peruvian food, look no further than Inca’s Peruvian Cuisine. With a recommendation from Guy Fieri, you can be confident you won’t be disappointed!

The Food was tasty, but the portions are too small for the price they charge. We had to go to another place to satisfy our hunger. That being said, the food was tasty and the spices are a little different. Good but, small quantity food.

So amazing!! Introduced me to Peruvian margaritas! Seen on Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives, Guy was spot on! the food was authentic, delicious, and righteous!

I thought I found a peruvian cuisine in Tucson. Unfortunately I cant give this place a five star, Quality of food is okay, and the taste is also okay. I cant even compare it to the ones in New York. I do think their menu is overprice for the small portion, it doesn't really satisfy my hunger. I gave 3 star for the friendly staff.

We first visited to celebrate Father’s Day a day early and they were able to accommodate a group of 10 with a same day notice. Monica was very friendly and efficient. The food was amazing and the atmosphere was exactly what we were looking for. You definitely want to give them a try!

A 10 out of 10. The service was great and cozy atmosphere. Thank you Monica and Jesus for your excellent recommendations. I had a Pisco sour for the 1st time and it was so tasty I had a 2nd one with my meal. I'm very picky with my sea food and beef dishes, they recommend the "Ceviche and Lomo Saltado" which were beyond expectations, so delicious and plentiful. I will definitely be back to this restaurant soon... so yummy and affordable 😋

Commoner & Co is a spacious and stylish restaurant offering elevated comfort food and a variety of cocktails and beers in a warm atmosphere. The newly-renovated upscale environment provides a stunning view of the mountains, making it an attractive spot for Tucson foodies. The menu features carefully prepared New American cuisine, with house specialties like the C&C Burger and Ragu made with house-made tagliatelle.
That was such a good dinner! Didn’t need a reservation, place wasn’t even one third full Sunday evening. The service was fast and attentive, food prompt and delicious, server was fantastic. The pear Gimlet drink was phenomenal. The only minus is that they had a big party in the private event area/room with a lot of people, and the doors were left wide open the whole evening, which made the entire restaurant VERY loud. It’s hard to enjoy yourself with a loud crowd cheering and laughing steps away from you. It was only private for them, but everyone else had to hear them, I saw the other guests being uncomfortable too.
Olga H — Google review
The service here was fantastic. I tried the sage pear gimlet by recommendation of something "fruity", and it was awful. I told the waiter, and he replaced my drink with a custom drink I asked for. The shrimp cocktail had huge shrimps, but they were very chewy and overcooked. They had a somewhat stringy texture, too. The spicy cocktail sauce it came with was fantastic, though! The muscles in the curry sauce tasted like they were steamed separately and just tossed together. It was disappointing, because I've had fantastic mussels elsewhere, but these did not hit the spot. I think if they stewed the mussels a little bit in the sauce, the flavor may have mixed better. I had other people in my group order other stuff, but I only know that the fries were good. No idea how everything else tasted.

We were staying at Ventana Canyon Resort and wanted to experience something near by for dinner. After looking at options near by, this seemed like an obvious choice. Made a reservation on Open Table for a 6:30pm on a Sunday night and there was hardly anyone there when we arrived. Reservations were not needed. The host was friendly and seated us right away. Our server was Alex and he was extremely polite and attentive. He gave great recommendations and guided us to our choices. I started with a glass of wine, the Carmel Road Cabernet Sauvignon that had a decent rating of 3.7 out of 5 on the Vivino app, which didn't disappoint. We chose to not have an appetizer and ordered our entrees. I had the orchiette crab pasta which was delicious. He had the meatloaf that came with mashed potatoes and carrots which he thoroughly enjoyed, although it was more than he wanted to eat, he definitely recommendeds. We finished off our meal with the olive oil cake dessert. When he initially mentioned the two options, I wasn't particularly swayed either way, but he wanted a piece of cake and when I tell you I was surprised at how moist and delicious it was. During our time here the restaurant filled up with other patrons, but it was never uncomfortable. He did mention that he agreed with other reviewers as far as the noise level and the acoustics, I didn't even notice. Overall, it was a great experience with exceptional service. I would definitely recommend and look forward to visiting again.

I made a reservation for one, but decided to sit at the bar to be polite since they were so busy. First off the bartender was great. She was super efficient even running double shakers. She was in flow state. That being said management had done her a terrible disservice by not having another person with her. She was in the weeds because the menu consists of specialty cocktails. On top of making all of those she had to service the bar. This was a terrible decision on managements part. Speaking of the bar there was a busted bar tap and a gigantic what I assume was Co2 tank just sitting in the open. Just poor fit and finish. I ordered the poutine. It was very salty and small. If it was duck gravy I would have never known. As someone who travels to New England frequently it was a travesty. I was going for nostalgia and was left disappointed. I decided not to order and entree and picked up a burger at a food truck on the way home. Props again to the bartender she works way too hard for that place.

2/13/25- Went here for a special occasion. It was my first time. Had a reservation for 6pm, glad I did because it was packed, especially with Boomers. We ordered the Orecchiette with crab, the risotto with cacio and pepe, and the short rib pot pie. The orecciette was good with lots of crab. The short rib was for some reason shredded which made me question if it was actual short rib. The mirepoix that was supposed to be a part of it, wasn't made of any peas, onions etc, so I don't know what was going on with that. The mashed potatoes it was set on were average. The pastry was average and while it looked great, it was not worth the 29 dollar price. The best was the risotto (not pictured). The cracked pepper was amazing, and the parmesan cheese was just right. This is the only dish that I would go back for. The arborio rice was a little al dente but I liked it. The interior is average, but when full, extremely loud. It's the kind of place that when you walk out of you're glad to just get out of because of the noise level. The service was average at best. Our server didn't offer us dessert, only checked up right after the second bite, like how am I supposed to know after the second bite, but I guess some people do, and in general was just absent for the night. Maybe they were short staffed but it didn't seem like it. I'll go back for the Risotto but maybe for lunch when maybe it's not as loud.

Delicious as always. Tempura shrimp was a hit this past Friday. Wife loves their fried chicken sandwich. Kids always enjoy their ~$7 grilled cheese (drink included). Upscale atmosphere, but still very comfortable.

Great hang for happy hour if you live in the Ventana/Sabino area. While you’re sipping on one of their tasty cocktails, count the number of BMW's, Mercedes, Porches, etc., in the parking lot and count your blessings: Life is good in the bubble. Happy Hour runs 4-6 pm. They do half-price on bottles of wine on Monday and offer a yummy fried chicken dinner on Tuesdays. Their pasta dishes feature homemade tagliatelle that is al dente & delicious. The gnocchi with mushrooms is a must. I’ve only recently rediscovered Commoner after many years (2016?), and the service is great. Bar staff friendly and helpful and Marcus (I think that's the manager's name) is the best.

Nestled just south of the Westin La Paloma Resort & Spa, Contigo Latin Kitchen offers an upscale dining experience featuring a fusion of South American and Spanish cuisine. The menu boasts traditional recipes such as Parrillada, a mixed grill for two, and Paella for four with various protein options. With its refined ambiance and scenic views, this restaurant is perfect for special occasions like birthday dinners.
Fantastic food, the service even better, and the prices were very reasonable. Highly recommend for a date night or a romantic dinner. The tapas are a good size to share, but even better as a group so you can get more tapas! The patio is amazing with views of downtown Tucson.

Love, love, love. Many vegetarian dishes. Paella had a nice sofrito. The rice of the seafood paella had a seafood taste by itself. Very attentive service. Would definitely be back to try the other dishes.

Contigo Kitchen: Breathtaking Views, Memorable Flavors, and Room for Improvement Contigo Kitchen offers one of the most stunning dining backdrops you’ll find—perched atop a mountain with sweeping views that are worth the trip alone. If you go, do yourself a favor and request outdoor seating. The patio experience is exceptional. Inside, however, the ambiance doesn’t quite match the setting. The décor feels dated, and there’s a noticeable mustiness that detracts from the overall atmosphere. The food was largely impressive. Most dishes were beautifully plated and full of flavor, and the drinks were equally well-crafted. However, the tuna ceviche and octopus appetizers missed the mark—both were dry, overly fishy, and lacked the freshness you'd expect from a kitchen of this caliber. I’d recommend skipping those in favor of the stronger offerings on the menu. The biggest disappointment was the service. Despite having a reservation for outdoor seating, we were told the patio was full. Oddly, we saw several empty tables and guests leaving. After a 20-minute wait, the hostess finally seated us—only for the manager to approach abruptly, question our reservation, and demand our names again, despite the hostess already checking us in. It was an uncomfortable moment that felt unnecessary and left a poor impression. Contigo Kitchen has the potential to be a top-tier destination. The location is unbeatable, and the food—when it hits—is excellent. But the service needs refinement to match the promise of the experience. With more attention to hospitality and consistency, this could easily become a must-visit spot.

The place is modern and beautiful inside. Very well decorated. The atmosphere is warm thanks to the attentive staff. The main courses are generous and the prices aren't expensive; approximately US$20. A very good bar with exquisite drinks. There's a wide variety of wines. I will definitely go back. The view is exceptional...of the golf course! We had the opportunity to have Eber supervise our table, and he was a genius. I recommend it!

The service was pretty good. The chorizo fusion burger was interesting and good, but the fries were not properly cooked. Some undercooked and a some fully cooked. The salad was like mixed greens with some thick oil. Just request an actual dressing.

Great experience and the food was delicious. The server was also very nice and attentive. Atmosphere was great. We sat outdoors and the view was beautiful. I would definitely come back for a special occasion or with friends visiting from out of town. The atmosphere is cozy and chic. I guess I would describe it as casual upscale. The marisco paella is recommended!!

From the service to the cocktails to the food, there is nothing I wouldn’t recommend about this place. Absolutely nothing to complain here. Amazing Views! Great drinks! Delicious food! We ordered the paella and our initial dish was super tasty but cold. After telling our waiter, our paella was promptly remade and we received a brand new dish. A lovely meal!

My husband and I celebrated our 17th wedding anniversary at Contigo, and it was absolutely perfect! From the moment we arrived, the service was warm and attentive, making our evening feel extra special. The food was outstanding — every dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. It was the perfect backdrop for our anniversary celebration. We’ll definitely be back to enjoy it all again soon! 💕

47 Scott and Scott & Co. is a trendy and stylish bar/restaurant located in Downtown Tucson, offering a seasonal menu of modern American comfort food, eclectic wines, hand-crafted cocktails, and microbrews. The restaurant's urban decor is complemented by a large outdoor brick patio for post-dinner gatherings. On the other hand, Scott & Co., an adjacent Prohibition Era-inspired bar, offers a historical ambiance with friendly staff and vintage furnishings.
A true stand out in Tucson. I give it 5 stars on a Tucson scale; 3.5 stars on a national scale (Tucson doesn't have real 5 star anything, so it's graded on a curve). The average Tucson-ian will be blown away by this place! It has easily made it onto my personal top 10 meals in Tucson (and that is hard to do). I'm going to nit-pick it now, but let me first say that it stands head and shoulders above most restaurants in Tucson. Cozy atmosphere. Jazz music played at a perfect volume. Very accommodating and friendly staff. Drinks were the star of the evening (much better crafted than the meals). The line gets an A+ for plating skills. Very nice presentations - Good use of space, color, placement, etc. The cooks get an A- to B+ for flavor development. Beware of strong flavors taking center stage to the main ingredients. **Pistachio Crusted Salmon** overcooked, almost dry. Pistachio was allowed to become wet, lost all crunch, and had no nutty flavor. Overall salmon flavor was good. The vegetable puree was good: lightly sweet and played well in counterpoint to the salmon. It also saved the salmon by providing moistness. **Duck Meatloaf** Wonderfully crumbly texture. Almost melts in your mouth. More of a Duck Fat loaf than a Duck Meat loaf. If there is duck meat in it, then it is chopped tiny and is scarce. It seems to get its name from the use of duck fat. Duck fat on anything is always good, just wish it had more protein than filling. Maybe the word meat in meatloaf should have quotes around it. The herb seasonings also overpowered the wonderful duck flavor. The seasoning needs to be tweaked to let the "duck" shine through. It is served on a bed of cream spinach. It was a wonderful compliment and was scrumptious as a stand alone. It is also plated with a wine reduction that was a distraction and did not compliment the dish at all. That element should be reconsidered. Also, it came across as a balsamic reduction heavy with vinegar rather than wine reduction. The method needs attention. **Bacon Wrapped Dates** Perfection. Jammy dates. Delish bacon wrap. Perfectly balanced and fired. **Smoked Crab Stuffed Mushroom** The name should be changed to mushrooms stuffed with unidentifiable filling seasoned with sage/thyme. You get mushroom flavor, sage or thyme or both (too muddy to tell), with a hint of lemon and an aftertaste of something else.... crab.... kind of.

It was a nice experience waitress was Great. Chef's board was Delicious very good variety of flavors , Buffalo Cauliflower was my favorite not to spicy. My only problem was my bacon wraped dates they where over cooked and burnt but other then that everything was delicious. My date had a hamburger and said it was DELICIOUS.

Oh boy, this place! Great service first of all. But the food! Wow! Not very many items on the menu and it’s ok because what is on the menu is perfection! Started with mussels and bacon wrapped dates and both were delicious. The sauce for the mussels had fresh sliced fennel and was delicious, we kept the sauce to dip our bread (waitress recommended that). For main course had the meatloaf which was elevated to a whole new level, scallops and shrimp and a side of pomme frites which were so good (any California people might be reminded of the ones at the Cafe Orleans at Disneyland-so good). We were too full for dessert. We are outside on the patio which has a really cool vibe, felt like I was in the LA art district. Owners if you read this PLEASE BRING THIS EXACT RESTAURANT TO SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA!!

Well crafted cocktails from Scott & Co. Both 47 Scott and Scott & Co. were some of the first to make a go-of it downtown, prior to the large development boom and revitalization. El Berraco is a vibrant Latin seafood restaurant located in Tucson, Arizona. The restaurant's colorful and creative submarine-like exterior sets the stage for a unique dining experience. Known for its fusion of authentic and innovative Mexican seafood, El Berraco offers high-quality dishes inspired by spicy Latin cuisine. This review would be 6/5 if that were an option. I called ahead on a Saturday night as I knew they’d likely be busy. I was told they did not take reservations but could put my name on a waiting list in person. I understand that a restaurant this busy does not need to bother with a reservation system as they’ll always fill up anyways, but it does make for a more frustrating experience. I was quoted a 30 minute wait and received a call right on time that our table was ready. We chose to sit outside. When I’d arrived, there was live music inside (a bit loud, but good). The restaurant decor is quite fun, with the outside wall looking like a submarine and a consistent nautical theme throughout. Take a trip to the bathroom, they’re cool as well! Our waitress was great and offered personalized recommendations. She was attentive and the rest of the staff seemed equally so. We were impressed by the speed the orders came out. The menu offers a wide variety of creative Mexican seafood options. We tried the calamari, a few tostadas, and the sailor rice. All of it was delicious. The sailor rice would be enough for two smaller portions. I can’t wait to return to try more entrees. Prices were fair, and quality was high. I was impressed in particular by the calamari. It was the most tender, least chewy calamari I’d ever had.

Wonderful experience, excellent food, top tier service. Our waiter was absolutely welcoming, friendly, and hospitable. He even brought us water after the meal, after paying and topping rather than rushing us out of the door like other restaurants. Octopus is a highlight at this restaurant and they did incredible, especially for how far from the coast Tuscon is. Highly recommend, the ratings are truthful.

A very neat and cool restaurant! The live music and the theme of the restaurant were really fun! For being in the middle of the desert the seafood was very fresh! Our server was the bartender and he had a full bar so I’m not sure why the restaurant made that choice so service was a little slow! Great Mexican Food The first thing I noticed was the spectacular selection of hot sauces in the rack on our table! The full range from somewhat mild to extra hot. I tasted them all and enjoyed the variety. Warm tortilla chips and salsa were brought to the table as we sat down. My wife had the Cameron Taco Salad. A bowl made from a fresh fried tortilla filled with loads of warm, marinated cooked shrimp, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, beans, guacamole, sour cream and cheese. She absolutely loved this salad and the flavor of the shrimp. I ordered the Borchetta. This was a skewer deep fried with five good size shrimp along with bacon, onions and bell peppers. Mexican rice and beans accompanied the entree. The bacon flavor on the shrimp was great. Service was attentive and we never felt rushed during our visit. I would definitely visit here again.

Nestled in Tucson, Roma Imports is a charming specialty store and daytime café that embodies the essence of an authentic Italian deli. This cozy spot offers a delightful array of imported Italian foods, featuring high-quality meats and cheeses that transport you straight to Italy.
First time customer and wanted to see what it offered. It's rather small but have tables in the back to have lunch. Has many things you would expect in this kind of store from olive oil to noodles and lots more. I bought the Roma Special and it did not disappoint. I went with Mild peppers on the sandwich. The bread alone was so good. Lots of oil and vinegar, four meats, cheese and the works. Absolutely a beautiful sandwich. I could only eat half as it was a big sandwich for $12. Also purchased some Italian olives stuff with gorganzola cheese. Taste like Italy. Also they have my favorite Greek olive oil from a place lived near to when I was living there back in the 80's!

Very easy access, parking may be a bit challenging when busy. Very polite personnel. Very clean and well organized market, deli and restaurant. Place your meal order at the counter and then enjoy a seat in their casual setting, with a beautiful mural on the back wall. The sandwich bread was great, sauce tasty, and nice serving size. But the chicken was dry and the meatballs where just okay. Both sandwiches would have benefitted from more sauce. It was fun to wander the market and deli to pick out some treasures to take home and be creative with making our own meals.

Italian deli with great Italian sub sandwich option but not exactly what I expected. I found large varieties of foods to go, spices, treats and plenty of seating but didn't find the most helpful staff unfortunately. There's a menu so you can dine in but I couldn't find someone to give it to me. Since I had driven a long way to try this location I did go to deli counter and have a sandwich made. It was fresh & delicious. Bread & meats were fresh & exactly how I had imagined it should taste. I'm going to chuck it up to maybe an off day & will try again if I'm in area. Don't forget your shopping bag so you can take home any one of their frozen prepped meals or some fresh cheese and meats.

I grew up going to Italian stores in California. I’m so pleasantly surprised and thrilled that Tucson has a good one in Roma Imports. They have a wide selection of both frozen and refrigerated foods, a deli, and a little restaurant seating atmosphere in the back. They have several different types of frozen ravioli, which I have tried and loved. Bellissimo. 👌

First time in Tucson and I saw this place advertised online before, and I love to check out a local family spot. You know it’s good when it’s literally a deli supermarket and sells food. They sold so many Italian ready made goods and authentic produce. The sandwiches we had were very good wish we got a chance to try more items!

Villa Peru is a vibrant restaurant that offers contemporary Peruvian cuisine and an extensive cocktail menu. It provides an authentic taste of Peru with a blend of Latin-American hospitality, creating an enchanting dining experience. The menu features a variety of exciting dishes with Peruvian flair, ensuring there's something for everyone to enjoy. The ambiance is described as perfectly lit with just the right level of energy, complemented by live music that sets the mood.
We got to the restaurant at the designated time of our reservation, 5:30, and there was no table for us. No bueno. The hostess escorted us to the bar, and we ended up eating there. The food and service made up for the rocky start. We had 2 Pisco Sours and a shrimp ceviche to start, followed by Carne Con Seco and Duck Confit for our main courses. The ribeye was tender and flavorful & the duck was succulent, falling off the bone. I especially enjoyed the cilantro rice with the duck. There was live music which made it too loud, and we were glad that they took a break while we were eating. We would definitely return for an encore.

Gorgeous restaurant serving delicate and delicious and beautifully cooked Peruvian dishes. The prices run on the expensive side as the restaurant serves a certain clientele, but it’s a beautiful quiet place to go for a few light appetizers, a shared platter, and cocktails. The service is impeccable and the food beautifully cooked and served. If you’re a Tucson Foodie member, the restaurant also offers several nice perks.

Final made it to their ceviche festival and I wasn’t disappointed. I went kinda late and without a reservation so I sat at the bar. The experience was still good. The service was good and the ceviche even better. I’m definitely going back to try the regular menu and the lobster festival.

The food was delicious and Charles, our server, was fantastic. I will definitely go back. Even though we shared our dishes with each other, there are still items on the menu I would like to try. Great atmosphere too! I ordered Flan for dessert.

Amazing food and atmosphere. Very classy and upscale with a musician playing the saxophone 🎷 . Highly recommend the cheesecake for dessert.
Michael J — Google review
This was our first time dining here and everything was delicious! The ceviche was our favorite dish (mahi-mahi and shrimp). My husband had Villa Peru linguini and I had the Aji de Gallina. The shrimp in the Villa Peru linguini dish was overcooked, otherwise it was delicious. The drinks were amazing and service was great, however we had to remind our server of a couple times to bring an item we had requested but had forgotten. To his defense, it was busy. We'll definitely come back and try other dishes!

Loved this place since they open! I’ve been to Peru and the ceviche they serve here is just like the one I had at Mercado Uno in Lima . I was just there last weekend and was so happy to see the expansion and renovation!!! Looks so elegant, inviting and romantic!

Kon Tiki Restaurant & Lounge is a tiki bar with a festive luaulike atmosphere that has been around since the 1960s. It offers over 50 tiki-inspired cocktails, including the famous Scorpion Bowl with its secret recipe known only to Kon Tiki bartenders. The menu features island-inspired dishes like Seared Ahi Salad, Monkeys and Birds skewers, and Miso Salmon that will transport you straight to the tropics.
I throughly enjoyed going here for a date night. The food was the perfect serving size, and was delicious! We sat at the bar and had a great bar tender. The restroom was clean and in good working order. I would say the decorations are a bit dated but it definitely gives the vibes of the island 🏝

Off we go to try something new to eat. The search result came back with thus Hawaiian themed spot that we enjoyed very much. Our host was accommodating in finding us a seat that we were comfortable with. Our waiter was knowledgeable and friendly, so kudos there. Food was delicious indeed. The menu has a excellent mix of options to select from. Pricing was reasonable, and especially in this economy, thats saying something. Not difficult to find as these days just follow the gps and right off the main road w/ several stores w/in walking distance. Depending on the time, parking can be a bit challenging. My only complaint would be the super cramped restrooms 🚻. Other than that, still earned my 5stars. I did overhear some customers saying they used to have water flowing outside, which would have been cool to see. Again, worth the trip.

This was a shocking surprise of a restaurant that we are soooo glad to have been referred to. It's a hidden gem in Tucson!!! The atmosphere pulls you from the desert climate of AZ to a tropical Hawaiian getaway. The whole family loved the ambiance of the Tiki decor and overall mood of the joint. The kids said it was there favorite place of the day and we all wish this place was closer to the valley to enjoy more often. The food was delightfully fresh and clean, with the best presentation. Amazing sauces all made from scratch, drizzled over each of our dishes to top them off with perfection. If in Tuscon again we will be sure to make a stop over to Kon Tiki again. The waiter/bar trader was very kind and always made sure we were attended to.

I loved everything about this place! The historic tiki vibe, vintage sign and classic decor. The service was friendly and attentive and the food top notch! You can't go wrong here.
Lora K — Google review
An original 60’s era throwback. A must-see for tiki buffs and newbies alike. Not as sophisticated as some other menus around the country, but many classic drinks. The decor seems period correct and surprisingly not overly “dusted” with the past. This is a well-preserved piece of history where you will get adequately drunk if you aren’t careful.
Truen P — Google review
Second time here and the food was not as good as the first time. Maybe just what I ordered this time around. The staff was friendly and quick. Overall would try again if I'm back in the area.

Was hesitant about taking our family here for dinner, but we had a wonderful experience. The service was great, and the food was delicious and beautifully plated. They made fun and pretty non alcoholic beverages for our children. Not just a bar, great for dinner (with family) before 7 pm. After 7 p.m. they ask that you make reservations. Just a FYI we didn't know.

La Botana Tacos is a Mexican restaurant located in Tucson, AZ. It's known for its delightful flavors and friendly service in a great atmosphere. The restaurant offers delicious Mexican cuisine and features a salsa bar that adds a fun twist to your meal. One of their popular dishes is the Chicharrones, which are fried bits of pork with chewy meat and smoky flavor.
Tried this for a quick lunch. Had some decent options for kids. We enjoyed the bean dip & salsa bar, especially the zucchini jalapeno salsa. The cilantro rice side dish was good. Really enjoyed the quesabirria tacos, very moist & fall apart when you pick them up.

Exceeding expectations in all areas, top notch service with friendly and welcoming smiles, food recommendations that was perfectly fitting the amazing food we were served. From appetizers and exceptional main course to the amoretto flan... 10 out of 10 highly recommend!

Great casual Mexican restaurant! Mainly soft tacos with flour or corn tortillas. Loved the cilantro lime rice and ranchero beans. We got barbacoa, Chicken tinga, and birria. All were good and portions more substantial than most. Great salsa bar the pineapple habernero was the spiciest. Staff was informative and friendly. Cooks were a little slow for how many people in there. Was in relaxed talkative mood so didn't bother me. Had I been really hungry well that's another story. Love the atmosphere and artwork.

This is a great spot to grab some tacos, Sonoran dogs, and great drinks. The salsa bar has a monthly special and of course I had to try them all. It was delicious. Orlando was my server and did a great job taking care of my lunch service. The Sonoran dog was really good! Since this is conveniently located next to the Tucson mall, we will be back again on our next visit!

First time visitor. I'll definitely be back for another visit. Warmly greeted upon entry by a highly motivated staff, advised to seat myself wherever I wanted. The establishment appeared clean and issue free. Service comes at you fast here. Immediately upon being seated l instantly had menus. I elected to partake in the $12.99 lunch special. The special comes with numerous choices, I went for barbacoa plate, soup and rice and beans and flour tortillas. I had iced tea and a radio station promotional free "Kensadilla". My total out the door food cost was $14.12. The food is served hot, fresh and delicious. Like an endless parade it comes at record speed. I ordered, and immediately visited the salsa bar. All looked good but l went with the roasted garlic red sauce and the salsa Verde which was blended to absolute perfection. By time l returned to my table chips and refried bean dip were being delivered. My soup arrived almost instantly after the chips. My soup was extremely good. It was served so hot l couldn't eat it until it started to cool down, this wasn't an issue as my plate of food instantly arrived seconds later. The barbacoa plate was served "wetter" then I'm used to, to boast about it's flavor would be an understatement, absolute perfection. The beans were equally delicious, I didn't care for the rice. It tasted fine, it just contained a spice that l didn't really care for. Tableside service was absolutely fabulous, I never wanted or needed anything. I can't wait to return. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

D's Island Grill JA, nestled in a nondescript shopping center, offers a taste of Jamaica with its diverse menu featuring chicken, shrimp, pork, and fish prepared in various styles. The entrees are gluten-free and served with rice and peas alongside options like vinegar-based coleslaw or steamed vegetables. Patrons rave about the flavorful dishes such as jerk chicken, brown stew chicken, salt fish and ackee. The restaurant also serves comforting chicken foot soup.
D's Island Grill was awesome! There were four of us total who had not eaten here in a very long time and we were greeted with a big smile and the BEST food! I had the fish sandwich, and my partner enjoyed the ox tail. We all shared a little bit of our meals together with each other so that we could taste everything. OMG the watermelon splash drink was tasty as hell; I need to come back for that again. Super delicious and I think that L-U-V was the secret ingredient to why we loved lunch so much. Tiny, intimate space; but it felt like home. Thank you!

Have eaten here a couple times now and the food and service are consistently great! This past time, I got the jerk pork and my friend got the jerk chicken. Pros: Tasty food Generous portions Quick and kind service Cons: Small fee for using your credit card

I'm new to Tucson, so I have not eaten at one of the African or Caribbean restaurants in the city. I went back and forth and decided on Caribbean food and Googled the closest place to me, which was D's. The restaurant itself only had a few tables, so it's small, but he smell of spicy food hit me right away. I ordered the Jerk Chicken, a ginger beer, and a cucumber splash, which was a cucumber and ginger drink, and my order came within 10 minutes. Everything was delicious! I got my meal with a side of steamed vegetables, and they were seasoned just right. I also had a big serving of red beans and rice. D's Island Grill JA is worth a try.

Went to D’s Island Grill today for lunch. DISAPPOINTED is Too light of a Word. I order jerk chicken & was brought undercooked chicken with sauce poured over it like gravy! I brought it back to the counter at which time the owner was offended apparently saying he could NOT accept me saying the chicken was not cooked thoroughly. His tone was very elevated. I refused more chicken, asked for my money back & was refused. I left all the food on my plate there Y the counter & left. Never again will I patronize this place.

Worst restaurant experience. Fried fish came too dry. Fried fish mix was supposed to have many types of seafood but consisted only from previously frozen shrimp. No taste whatsoever. Accompanied by the cheapest possible vegetables. Only good thing was margarita.
VV S — Google review
Our craving for seafood, this restaurant's high ratings and positive reviews on here led us dine at Mariscos Mi Mazatlan - what huge disappointment! We waited ~5mins to be seated, once seated, it took them 15 minutes to take our order, our order for drinks were wrong, the beef and chicken tacos only come with diced tomatoes - literally just diced tomatoes! Been eating tacos over 30 years both in the USA and Mexico and these have been the worst! The quality of their seafood was horrid!!: dry/stale shrimp, greasy octopus, and questionable fish tacos. Only took a bite out of the 4 served. The grilled platter for 2 looked promising, but realized they put 2-3 cuts of quality meat at the top and the rest was gristle, tough, fatty, inedible beef cuts. The only reason I give this place 2 and not 1 is because their staff were friendly and the horchata drinks were good. Overall: stay away from this place, I strongly recommend seeking other seafood restaurant options. I would have rather stayed home and ate a bowl of cereal

This place has been totally renovated, under new ownership and everything is OUTSTANDING! I had the ribeye steak and butterflies shrimp with rice and veggies! The veggies were sautéed to perfection, and my steak was done exactly as I asked for it 😋 the co-owner Paul and his wife Adriana were hands on and all of the staff were pleasant. Prices are mid-range and its mostly seafood fresh from the Sea of Cortez never frozen. My friend had fried red snapper and I'm not a big fish eater but I will buy this next time! Great spot!

Can't talk enough. The food was so fresh and delicious. The server made the perfect recommendations. Loved the salsa, cucumber drink, LA Diabla fish dish. Definitely going back on our next trip to Tuscon!
Pratyusha D — Google review
Had a hankering for pulpo and wanted to try a restaurant where I had never dined before. The brightly colored building as well as the photos and accolades from others’ reviews here set my expectations high. But, meh… I ordered the Garlic Octopus from the impressively complete menu. The poor beast was overcooked and the bottoms of the tentacles were burnt. The “garlic butter sauce” was more like oil with grilled diced garlic — not exactly a sauce and a bit overwhelming for the meat. The rice was rather boring, the meal unmemorable. At $25, I was expecting something more elaborate, a more interesting recipe. I don’t recall what my girlfriend had, but she wasn’t very enthusiastic about it and I didn’t bother taking a photo of her meal. As for the service, our waiter was polite, I suppose, but wasn’t exactly engaging or attentive, as if he couldn’t care less whether we dined there or not. At one point he started spraying down the table next to ours with a nasty smelling cleaner, apparently unaware it was attenuating our appetites. Speaking of cleaning, the restaurant interior seemed a tad dingy, like it could use a good spring cleaning, but was otherwise charming enough. They had some radio station playing a rather aggressive and off-putting music, not something I care to hear while having lunch.
Paya C — Google review
I had a very pleasant meal. I have gone here about five times. The first time was great and then the 2nd time was not so great, and the rest were great. Today June 6th whoever the cook was, was EXCELLENT!! The toritos ( yellow peppers stuffed with cream cheese and a shrimp) were cooked to perfection. I hope next time I return it will be as awesome as it was today. I purchased two lemonades, two Tostadas mixtas and a order of toritos. It came to about 48 bucks minus tip.

Nightjar is a charming and conceptually interesting venue that consists of three distinct spaces: a reservation-only restaurant, an open seating patio area with additional indoor seating, and a cozy bar with its own entrance. The staff exudes efficiency while maintaining a laid-back vibe that perfectly matches the atmosphere. Tucked away next to The Coronet and a small cafe, this hidden gem offers a casual and outdoorsy ambiance along with great cocktails and beer.
Great courtyard, spacious and lots of seating. Fast service from the tender. Update: Feb 2024 I had the burger. The side sauce was a pleasant surprise. My only critique is the cost does not match the patty size (photographed is a burger split). Fries, stand alone were great! Perfect spot to grab a late night beverage.

This place is super cute. It’s a little pricey but it’s interesting conceptually. The place is broken into three separate places. There is a restaurant that requires reservations, an open seating patio area with an additional indoor seating area and then a cute little bar with its own entrance. The staff was very kind and accommodating. Everyone had a very efficient but laid back vibe which matched the atmosphere. The bartender especially as I spoke with him then most was super hospitable and encouraging about the menu. I had him talk me through the drink menus and even though we didn’t end up eating at the establishment he was helpful with the menu. We were going to a show and the bartender continued to be very friendly and engaging which made us feel so comfortable. I will 100% be coming back. The venue location is perfect if you are seeing a show or sport at TCC or the Ronstat center. Also the hotel which is a popping location is next door and an easy walk across the street.

OK, Nightjar has no food, but the food at its partners is absolutely outstanding, so there. Nevin served a delightfully perfect Macallan 12 while helping me amend an upcoming reservation. Nestled in the Santa Catalina Foothills, Hacienda del Sol Guest Ranch Resort is a 32-acre Southwestern-style property with a rich history dating back to 1929. Once a finishing school for girls and later a popular guest ranch, it has welcomed famous guests like Clark Gable and Katharine Hepburn. The resort offers a range of accommodations, from historic rooms with fireplaces to newer rooms with private outdoor showers and mountain or city views.
Every time my friends and I come here, it’s the best experience start to finish. My friend Amber, who works at the spa, introduced me to this place years ago and always helps us get the perfect room — she’s the best! We love spending our days lounging at the different pools, drink in hand, taking in the gorgeous views from the water. The rooms are beautiful and always spotless (my only tiny complaint: the pillows are a little too soft for my liking). This trip, we even made it to the 8 AM yoga — such a peaceful way to start the day and I love that it’s offered. Sunday brunch is hands down our favorite part. Five of us gathered to eat our hearts out and, as always, we were impressed — I only wish I had a bigger stomach to try more! We even got to compliment the chef personally, and he, along with the rest of the staff, was so kind and welcoming. Antonio drove us back and forth multiple times and was incredibly helpful, and the new texting system with the front office made everything super convenient. We own a local beauty studio, and we Love hosting our yearly “business retreats” here. It feels like such a luxury to have somewhere so fabulous just a short trip from home — especially when it’s spent with my best friends. Can’t wait for the next one!

A 5-star hotel disguised as a 4-star. From the moment we drove in, we were impressed by location, landscaping, and cleanliness of the place. We were then upgraded to a more luxurious room as a complimentary service with hotel credit. Staff were genuinely helpful and kind, as opposed to the I-am-bored-to-be-here attitude I have seen elsewhere. 3 pools with 1 accessible 24/7; at least one of them with a great view of the desert, cacti, and mountains. We are definitely planning on coming back.

Me and my husband wanted a getaway to simply relax and recharge and a week at this resort was exactly what we needed and more! The grounds and views are just stunning. Very clean and not crowded at all. Pools were all great, room was beautiful and spacious. One of the best steaks we've ever had and everything else we ate was delicious. By day 3 we felt like royalty with how attentive and friendly the staff was, remembering our names and going out of their way to make our time special. Rick, Melinda, Ricky, Michelle, Klarissa, Justin, Kristopher, and Steve! These wonderful people really made our trip memorable, we did not want to leave!

I got married at Hacienda Del Sol on June 1st and it was such a wonderful experience <3 I spent a total of 4 days at the resort and I'm so blessed that its a place I can return to with my husband and family for years to come. The staff was kind and made us feel so special from the moment we arrived for the weekend until we left. I wish I could remember everyone's names but Juliette, Valentine, Acacia, and Summer are just a few of the folks that made our experience memorable. The food was delicious! Everyone at our wedding cleared their plates, the drinks were refreshing, and the cake lived up to family scrutiny. Everything I ordered for breakfast, lunch, and dinner during my stay was delicious. The views were breathtaking and it's clear that the property is kept in the very best conditions year round. The nature walk with Summer was a fun & educational experience and I was excited to share what I learned with my family&friends afterwards. The pools were relaxing and we were never without a cold drink in hand. I am counting down the days until my next Hacienda Del Sol stay!!

Wow. What a wonderful stay. The location is beautiful with great views of the Catalina's. The rooms are historic, clean, with modern amenities. EVERYONE I interacted with from the check in to the wait staff to the jazz trio playing in the dining room was friendly and went out of their way to make sure I was happy. So many relaxing spaces including inner courtyards and three pool areas with spas. I look forward to coming back!!!

The resort itself is absolutely breathtaking - the landscaping, art and rooms are stunning. However, the service from the front desk was so poor I don’t think I ever was treated with such contempt and barely any compassion at all. The check in is at 4pm but, driving cross country with my cats, I arrived at the resort at 2pm and desperately needed a room as one of my cats was in her pee in her carrier and I needed to go to urgent care because she bit me pretty bad as I was trying to clean her. I was met with the most snobby, uncaring front desk person and he had zero urgency or compassion for my situation. I waited 1 hour in the lobby as he kept telling me the room was being inspected and it will take a few more minutes. I was crying and he barely looked at me. The resort was FAR from full and finding me a room and ask the staff to prioritize this shouldn’t have been that hard. I was really sad this was my experience but the place is indeed beautiful.

What can I say about Hacienda Del Sol? It’s truly a breathtaking oasis in the heart of the Tucson desert. We didn’t stay overnight, but came for dinner at The Grill—and were absolutely enchanted from the moment we arrived. The view from the gardens overlooking the valley below was nothing short of stunning. And the sunset? I honestly don’t have the words to do it justice. It was one of those rare moments that just stops you in your tracks. The grounds are impeccably maintained, full of charm and history. Hacienda Del Sol is a registered historic hotel, and you can feel the stories in the architecture and atmosphere. I believe it once housed an all-girls school, and some of the rooms still use traditional keys, which adds such a unique touch. They also offer newer accommodations for a more modern stay, and the on-site gift shop is definitely worth a browse. If I ever return to Tucson, this is where I’ll stay—no question. Absolutely amazing in every way!

Birthday dinner for my wife here. We had the prime rib on Wednesday. It was very good. Kel was our server and he was great!

Sushi restaurant
MiAn Sushi & Modern Asian Cuisine is an upscale, modern Japanese restaurant with a great atmosphere. The food is delicious and the flavor profiles in their sushi and dinner rolls are exquisite. They also have a variety of menu options to choose from. Only four stars because the tea and soup were barely lukewarm.
Very nice atmosphere. Food is good. The premium tuna was really fatty not in a good way. The rest was great.

We arrived 30-40min before closing and service was still friendly/courteous. Decor/venue is upscale, spacious, and very clean. The food was vibrant, fresh, and delicious. Flavor profiles in their sushi/dinner rolls were exquisite (my favorite being the Presidio). Their duck breast was simple and cooked perfectly. Will most likely return and try more of their menu as it has many selections to choose from. Only four stars because the tea and soup were barely lukewarm. I would have preferred them hot.

The quality of the sashimi and sushi is top notch, as well as the creative menu items. Unfortunately this restaurant follows the trend of being loud and large and having large televisions, all things to distract one from such fantastic food. I will be back, but during times when it's not crowded and loud.

Food was great and decently priced! Also cocktails were wonderful, I tried the dirty gin martini, kind of cool for something different, they serve it with dry ice. It was just a little too salty, other than that everything was great and we will return again.

I went to MiAn for the first time this past weekend and I will say that I'm impressed. The food is good and the atmosphere is on point. Its kinda cool being connected to the TEP building. Reservations are not necessary however highly recommended. The only thing I will say I dont like is parking, downtown has never been parking friendly but this is a more complicated parking set up here but it's worth it.

Absolutely fantastic; I used to be a chef as well but I can humbly state their staff has produced food far Superior than anything I can cook in my modest kitchen. Only note would be a larger selection of sake. The rice was cooked with clean water, the meat must have been marinated or tenderized as it came out as close to perfection as one could be; the sesame chicken stayed crispy throughout the meal despite being covered in an obviously fresh glaze. I'm actually a little mad that I may legitimately be unable to replicate the quality myself.

Very modern and fun atmosphere the food was outstanding service was a bit slow for not busy night other than that no complaints

This is a home run restaurant--well designed, well run, excellent food, wonderful bar. We met the owner Saturday night and he showed us a signature dish they make--cooks in the foil in front of you--incredible!! Thanks Bin! Nice Bourbon selection too!

Mexican restaurant
Restaurant
El Charro Cafe is a renowned and historic restaurant located in downtown Tucson, serving delicious Mexican cuisine for decades. The restaurant's popularity often results in a wait for a table, but visitors can enjoy the courtyard and back bar while waiting. The menu offers flavorful dishes like the No. 3 meal and Mini Chimichanga with carne seca, with a moderate heat level. The restaurant's rich history is reflected in its atmosphere, providing an authentic dining experience.
Due to adverse weather in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metro area, I was delayed, but re-booked and re-routed on a later American Airlines flight ✈️.. I needed to eat, so among the options in Terminal B at Tucson, I went with El Charro.. I have to admit that I was a bit apprehensive, as I tried the downtown location two nights earlier and didn't walk away overly impressed.. That review will be done later.. That said, Matthew, serving at the bar, made my visit to this airport location quite grand!! From a pair of modified Cadillac margaritas (Patron Reposado versus the Añejo) and quite decadent grilled fish tacos, my visit to the airport El Charro was far more enjoyable than my visit two days earlier to the OG location.. The margaritas were smooth, and as singles, well-poured.. They were balanced, refreshing, and the half-salt and half-Tajin rimmed glasses were perfect!! The grilled fish tacos were amply portioned and flavorful.. I did add a dash of original Cholula to both, but I suspect they would have held their own, un-touched.. All in all, a great and reasonably priced experience for a restaurant bar and eatery.. 10 out of 10 recommend!!

This is the only restaurant a salt in the Tucson airport. My flight was delayed almost 2 hours and I sat at the bar here and had decent Mexican food and very nice cocktails. The waitress was incredible! She really made the wait tolerable. 💃🏿💖
Gillian G — Google review
Way overpriced but it's an airport restaraunt so they gotcha. Food was ok, small servings but tasty. The burger i ordered could have used iceberg lettuce but they put the green wilted type. Fries were good but not much taste. My wife ordered the chimichanga and it was good but small serving. The waitress seemed to busy to really be attentive as we had to walk our cups to the bar tender to refill our sweet tea and lemonade. The waitress said they had military discount but I didn't see that when we got the bill. All in all it is like one of the only places to have lunch at this end of the airport. No wait for a table was a plus. Update, my wife and I both got heartburn from the food and upset stomach, downgrading this to 2 stars.

The food we ordered was delicious, except for the mushy vegetables served with the 2 dishes we ordered- tropical fish with corn and mango salsa and stuffed tamale chicken breast. Both the red and green salsa that came with the chips and salsa were delicious, the green had a great kick to it! The charro beans were perfectly cooked and flavorful! The service was excellent and the ambience of the restaurant area was enjoyable. Loved the Spanish-language music and the decor both in and outside.
Dennise D — Google review
For airport dining this was legit. They had a new kitchen crew so food took longer than it should, especially for an airport restaurant, but it was good. Nice bar, friendly staff, great bloody mary and the prices were very reasonable. We'd definitely stop in again if in the Tucson airport!
S S — Google review
Good food, they open quite early, los Huevos Rancheros are perfect to start your day, good service too
Yaz — Google review
Good portion sizes and better service. My flight was too early, to get a quesadilla. A breakfast burrito
Jai — Google review
Good place for some food and drinks at Tucson airport. Breakfast menu is limited to 4 core entrees, but there were all good options. My breakfast burrito was great and came with two salsa options. Free coke refill to go was also very nice! For lunch the enchiladas were basic but good and the Bloody Mary was tasty. VictorB
