Cocktail bar

Restaurant
Clover Club is a cocktail bar located in the Carroll Gardens neighborhood of Brooklyn, offering classic and modern drinks alongside a menu of small plates. The bar aims to bring together locals and visitors alike, with an interior reminiscent of 19th-century NYC saloons. Guests can enjoy creative cocktails like Dear Judy and Succumb To Plum. Additionally, there are private spaces available for gatherings as well as full buyout options for larger events.
I was so excited to finally visit Clover Club and it did not disappoint. Loved their Clover club cocktail as well as the “nice pear”. The kind bartender in the pictures definitely made my experience 10/10. Can’t wait to visit again.

We've had several good meals here so far. Recommended: - Bloody Marys - Any burger - Mac & Cheese w/ smoked bacon (SO GOOD!!!) - Steak tartare - Fried chicken biscuit (or sandwich) - Clover benedict - Breakfast burrito If it's crowded, the structure is such that it can be a bit hard to hear the conversation of those you're with, just fyi. If you're going for just the cocktails/food, or for their live music (certain nights), then go for it!
Loren — Google review
Great spot to grab cocktails in the neighborhood. It gets quite busy on the weekends but there’s a reason why. The inside has a nice dark vibe to in and there’s always good music and loud conversations going on. The cocktails are a bit on the pricey side, especially for the okay quality but the vibe definitely makes up for it. Would recommend if you’re in the area and looking to grab a drink.
Andrew D — Google review
So where do I start? We walked in at 3:55. They told us live music will be for another half hour so we chose our seating based off that. There was no live music after we arrived… they gave us menus as we sat down. Nobody came up to us for another 15 minutes, at which point we were asked what drinks we’d like to order, so we ordered. We tried ordering food as well but were told that the brunch menu is no longer being served. Ok, no problem… we were then given the dinner menus. 5 minutes later she comes back to ask us what drinks we wanted again because she forgot to put them in… and turns out those drinks are no longer being served either. At this point, we were also told that the dinner menu u is not yet being served. We ordered new drinks from the menu that were available. They were initially delivered to the wrong table. It was 4:45 when we finally asked for the bill… then asked again another 5 minutes later… and for a third time another 5 minutes later. Left much hungrier than we arrived, and no longer in a good mood. Pretty ambiance though. Will not be returning. Sevilla across the street was wonderful.

I never write bad reviews. Until now. My parents are in the industry so no silver spoons here, but this was by far the most uninviting and hostile service I've ever experienced. We went there Saturday to celebrate our engagement with family (don't bother clicking on an event type when rsvp'ing btw, they couldn't possibly care less). It was so bad that we were actually getting a laugh out of it (like "what's next", I think we even had a bet about whether the waitress would roll her eyes on the next rare pass of the table), from "I hate you" attitude right out of the gate to wrong orders... you name it, it was there. There must be a lot of masochist regulars because I have no idea how this place is in business, or has a rating above 2 stars. They even bounced our payments at the end (I tried mine first and then had to ask a friend for help afterwards, which as a newly engaged husband to be trying to pay for his new family is kind of embarrassing, especially with the attitude from the hostess (think slow apathetic vocal fry)). His didn't work either and he thought of calling his bank (chase) because apparently they didn't trust them as a business. My advise would be to keep the bartenders (they seemed nice), and the kitchen staff, (food & drinks were above average for sure, interior design as well), but my god get rid of the waitresses and hostesses on that time slot, they were begging to be anywhere else. But my guess is that there's some "It starts from the top and trickles down" economics at play here or they wouldn't have the nerve to be like that. Avoid this place at all costs unless unless your sitting at the bar, ordering takeout ot just want to wait 40 minutes for a drink in an empty room and feel like a jerk for asking.

Clover Club is one of my favorite spots in Brooklyn. The cocktails are amazing, the food is really good, and the atmosphere is always great. The staff are friendly and know what they’re doing. It’s a perfect place to hang out with friends or grab a drink after work — always a great experience every time I go.

Came in for a couple cocktails. The cocktails were great and the service was very good too. Ended up having Mac and cheese among other lite bites. The cocktails is what you come for.

Cocktail bar
Bar
Restaurant
The Long Island Bar is a retro watering hole located across from Monteros, maintaining the tradition of a Brooklyn longshoremen hangout. After being closed for several years, it was revived in 2013 by Toby Cecchini and Joel Tompkins, preserving its beloved neon sign and undergoing an anachronistic renovation. Despite its dive-y appearance, it has become a popular spot for groups of friends, parents on a night out, and first dates.
All anyone wants to do is fit in at a place like this. Asking for a window bar seat felt a little like I was putting them out, but food was great, drinks were amazing and we will be back to see if we can get a smile and a thanks for coming in. Didn't want to mention that we'd been there before they were born, probably. There to celebrate an empty nest and it was perfect on a steamy day. I'll try to endear myself to them next time.

Atmosphere: 7.5/10 Located in Cobble Hill, Brooklyn, The Long Island Bar exudes classic American diner vibes with its neon signage and chrome accents. Inside, the high-backed booths, chrome-trimmed chairs, and laminated menus reinforce the nostalgic theme. While the decor is charmingly retro, the backbar is minimal, featuring mostly glassware without an extensive display of spirits. Music volume was well-balanced, complementing the ambiance without overpowering conversation. Drinks: 5/10 Recommendation: Improved Pendennis Club The cocktail menu is concise, presented in a simple, laminated diner-style format. Drinks leaned towards the sweeter side, lacking depth and complexity. Presentation was basic, with standard glassware, no coasters, and minimal garnishes. Service: 6.5/10 The staff was friendly and attentive throughout the visit. Water was only provided upon request. Prices were slightly below average for New York.

Fantastic. Excellent service & food. Great staffs, respects their customers. We both ordered L.I. Burger w/bacon + scotch soda highball. fries were out temporarily, replaced with chips Highly recommend!
Mandoo M — Google review
Long Island Bar is perfection. The food hits that sweet spot of comforting but inventive, and the drinks flow so easy you lose track of the decade you’re in. Part of me doesn’t even want to write this because I don’t need TikTok mobs storming our neighborhood gem. Start with the cheese curds and pretend you’re balancing them out with the gem salad. The deviled eggs are a must, and the burger never misses. Even the white Negroni, glowing radioactive yellow, tastes like it was invented here. Every detail is dialed in and the bus boys somehow always know when you are done even if their are fries left?? How?? It’s the kind of place that feels like yours the moment you sit down. No gimmicks, just timeless perfection. Easily the best restaurant in South Brooklyn.
Hannah B — Google review
authentically timeless, long island bar is refreshingly frozen in simpler times -- terrazzo floors, neon lights, spinning bar stools -- the same design since opening in the 1950's (which includes no reservations). just timeless charm and damn good food LI burger is the move: two dry-aged patties, gooey house-blend american, a tangy fancy sauce, and a bacon wheel lookin like a red onion. Sneaky how good it is -- only gets better with each bite. alongside fries with a golden crisp buzzing and full of energy, long island bar is the foundation for any perfect night in cobble hill (ultimately ending down the street with karaoke at montero's until late night). cobble hill doesn’t have many institutions left. this one’s the real deal fun fact: ramon montero, original owner of *both* LI bar + montero's, kept these businesses in the family for 50+ years (his son joseph ran montero's + daughter emma ran LI bar)

Really busy local spot - can be a wait for table/bar space. The burger is excellent, well worth it (and starting to appear on some lists), the martinis are great too. Really friendly barstaff too
Daniel F — Google review
This burger is the worst burger Ive ever had. The patty is inedible! That said, the staff members were super nice and welcoming.

Drinks were good (martini was 10/10) but service was not good. Very hostile bar service and seating was limited.

Maison Premiere is a charming spot in Williamsburg that combines the ambiance of Belle Epoque Paris, old French Quarter New Orleans, and modern-day Brooklyn. The establishment offers precise service and a nostalgic atmosphere that transports visitors to another time. Known for its extensive cocktail list featuring absinthe-focused drinks, seasonal concoctions, and a well-curated wine selection with an emphasis on traditional French wines, including an impressive array of grower Champagne, Muscadet, and White Burgundy.
Maison Premiere is truly a treasure. From the moment you walk in, you’re transported to another era—The ambiance is intimate and romantic, perfect for a date night or special occasion. The oysters are incredibly fresh with a wide, carefully curated selection from both coasts. The presentation is thoughtful, we paired up with a good champagne. Service was impeccable—attentive without being intrusive. Claudia- Our server made us feel genuinely welcome. This is one of those places you’ll find yourself thinking about long after the night is over. If you’re in Brooklyn and love oysters, champagne , and ambiance that makes you feel like you’ve stumbled into a timeless classic, Maison Premiere is a must.

This oyster and wine bar truly surprised me! Even though I couldn’t drink because of some inflammation, I couldn’t resist coming here with my friend just for the oysters. Ambience: From the outside it looks like a small bar, but once you step in, it’s a whole different world. The décor is pure 1920s vintage style, and all the staff and bartenders are dressed in retro outfits—so stylish! The backyard is absolutely charming, to the point where I even thought, “I’d love to have a wedding here someday.” Food experience: We ordered the oyster platter and tried every kind they had. To my surprise, the smallest oysters (I think the third from the last) turned out to be the most delicious—absolutely amazing! And I have to give a huge shoutout to their sourdough bread. It was chewy, moist, not dry at all—honestly even better than the Beef Tartare it came with 😂. When I told the staff, they mentioned they recently got a new chef, and the bread actually comes from a bakery just 8 minutes away (something like “Woof”). Either way, it was fantastic. Music & vibe: The whole place was filled with funky jazz from a century ago, and it made me just want to dance. The vibe is perfect for dates, nights out with friends, or simply taking beautiful photos. Sadly, we ordered too much and couldn’t try the desserts this time, but I’ll definitely come back for them! 👉 In short: A hidden gem with amazing oysters, unforgettable sourdough, a romantic 1920s atmosphere, and music that makes you want to dance. Highly recommend!

I have travelled the world extensively over 40 years. I ate at all restaurants ranging from pop & mom’s to Michelin three stars. This is my honest review of the restaurant Maison Premiere in Williamsburg, NYC, USA. An outstanding seafood restaurant in the heart of Williamsburg — a true hidden gem! The entrance has a bit of a speakeasy vibe — there’s a small sign, but you need to look carefully to find it, and you enter through swinging saloon-style doors, which immediately set the mood. Inside, you’re transported to another decade: a beautiful oval bar, dim, jazzy lighting, and tables set close together, creating a lively and intimate atmosphere. Service was excellent — efficient and knowledgeable. We tried a selection of four different oysters, all fresh and unique, perfectly recommended by our waiter. The crab cake was outstanding — crispy on the outside, soft and flavorful inside, served with a great spicy sauce. We also had mussels and a salad, both well prepared, and ended with warm madeleines that were absolutely melt-in-your-mouth delicious. Overall, an exceptional dining experience — elegant yet unpretentious, full of character and flavor. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a memorable seafood dinner in Williamsburg!

If you're a fan of oysters and absinthe, this spot is a must-visit! They offer an impressive selection of oysters and cocktails that never disappoint. The lobster is also a standout, packed with flavor and perfectly prepared. While we've never sat down for a full meal, we always make it a point to stop by for a quick drink, and it never fails to impress. Highly recommend for anyone looking to enjoy fresh seafood and expertly crafted drinks!
Keyur B — Google review
Had this place saved for a while and finally booked a weekend afternoon spot. Went for the garden seating but had to switch inside after getting bug bites. The vibe inside was cozy with live music, which made a great impression. We ordered a cocktail, a whiskey soda, and oysters, fresh and tasty like an oyster spot should be. Left feeling pretty happy with the whole experience!
Selina L — Google review
Wonderful oyster bar that serves delicious food and cocktails. The vibe is on point. My absolute favorite is the chrysanthemum absinthe cocktail , the crab toast, and the lamb saddle. Do not miss the absinthe creme brulee as well! Service is warm and efficient. Highly recommended!

Up there with the best restaurant experiences I've ever had. The drinks were explained with passion and poured with care, every single dish was delicately prepared and bursting with flavor, and the dark, old-world vibe was immaculate. The perfect place to wile away an evening drinking and munching. Special thanks to Carling and Dustin for their exemplary service and energy. 10/10
Bardia R — Google review
Fresh high quality oysters! This place delivers a superb gastronomical punch and it has a very cozy tropical garden to go with it in the back! Pretty romantic spot! Influenced by New Orleans cuisine. Light jazz music playing and perfectly synchronized waters roam around to deliver an efficient service. The place is pricey but worth the price! Excellence and swag in the middle of Williamsburg!

Latin American restaurant
Bar
Leyenda is a vibrant Latin cocktail bar located in Brooklyn, offering a unique blend of Latin spirits and Caribbean influences. The bar is co-owned by renowned NYC bar professionals Julie Reiner and Ivy Mix, known for their inventive cocktails made with rum, tequila, and mezcal. The space itself exudes a charming South American vibe with brick walls and church pew booths, creating an intimate and cozy atmosphere perfect for a date night or gathering with friends.
Review: Leyenda (5/5) ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Leyenda lived up to the hype and then some! This upscale Latin cocktail bar is an absolute gem—candlelit, intimate, and effortlessly cool. The vibe is just immaculate. The cocktails? Next level. Expertly crafted, balanced, and full of bold, unique flavors. They also have a great selection of Latin beers, which was a nice touch. And let’s talk about that house-made guacamole—absolutely killer, loaded with red onion (which I personally love). Whether you’re stopping in for lunch, dinner, or just a quick cocktail break in Brooklyn, Leyenda is a must. Amazing drinks, fantastic service, and an atmosphere that makes you want to stay all night. Highly recommend!
John A — Google review
If you haven't been to Leyenda please just drop what you are doing and go! An OG in the cocktail game in Brooklyn, they have provided consistent food, drinks and service for over 10+ years in the neighborhood. I was lucky enough to stop in during their Sleigh-yenda Holiday Menu. The decor was great and the drinks were on par! This team is incredible. Please support whenever you can. If you are a fan of agave spirits there is a wide selection at your disposal
Tony P — Google review
I've been here a number of times. My three stars is for lack of consistency. Some of the bartenders here are super cool and very friendly. Others are mean and non-attentive. If you have time to be on your cell phone behind the bar, then you have time to wait on customers. I've ordered the same dish a number of times and the portions are different sizes each time- again consistency. Lastly, the margaritas, it's a Pan-Latin restaurant, why are they so sickeningly sweet? And I was told (see attached pic) that they did not have any glasses that fit the margarita portion size. Then, the restaurant should buy some! Because the customer who gets a margarita with huge ice cubes and a ridiculously small poor in a big glass feels cheated. This place gets one more try....
B H — Google review
The drinks here are delicious - we randomly stumbled upon this place after walking around the neighborhood. A lot of mezcal forward drinks plus the food options were great. I’d probably just stick with the drinks next time around but I know I’ll be back. Would definitely recommend if you’re looking for a spot to grab drinks at!
Andrew D — Google review
I enjoyed every single cocktail I tried! My favorites were the Sonàmbula and the happy hour drinks. The food won't blow you away but it is great quality and the flavors are authentic. Will definitely share this place with friends. Almost forgot to mention the warm, kind service!
Alex R — Google review
Was the perfect plan for Christmas Eve. The cocktails was amazing, the services was amazing, Alex was really nice!! We can see that they take care of every little detail in the food and drinks presentation and it was absolutely good, the music, the environment- Just perfect. I really don’t understand the reviews that says the opposite this place is 1000
Shakira K — Google review
Every time I'm in NYC this is one of my first stops. Absolutely amazing drinks, food and service. This last time Nick was our server and he was fantastic. Went above and beyond to ensure everything we ordered was perfect and even shared his broad knowledge and love for tequila. Highly recommend checking this gem out if you're out and about in Brooklyn. Can't wait to come back and check out their sister restaurant/bars next.

Wheres the sixth star button?! What a refreshing experiance even during the pandemic! We braved 28 degree weather and it was well worth it! Open air but heating keeps it as comfortable as possible! The cod tacos were light and airy and deliciously tart with capers and pickled onions....no tartar needed. Pupusas were great too! Brilliant. All in all well balanced portions and delicious flavor! Coming back again soon!

Grand Army is a stylish bar in Downtown Brooklyn that offers an inviting space for patrons to enjoy sophisticated cocktails, craft beers, and raw-bar items such as oysters. The lobster roll at Grand Army is highly praised for its fresh taste and generous portions of lobster meat adorned with celery and just enough mayo.
Grand Army offers cocktails, drinks, and elevated American bar food. The happy hour includes oysters and discounts on selected drinks. Their house dirty martini is flavorful and savory, and they offered very tasty Montauk(?) oysters. Hot dogs were also tasty.
Daniel E — Google review
This is a neighborhood cocktail bar but also the kind of place that impresses at the same time. The atmosphere is sophisticated but welcoming, and they have cute outdoor seating. The cocktail program changes seasonally, and what’s great is that they’ll save some of the most popular cocktails on their regular menu, like the “I’d like to buy a vowel, Pat.” Their food menu features seafood dishes. The oyster selection is always excellent, and their lobster roll is good. Their bread is under-rated; it comes with a nice house butter that I think has paprika and has a nice depth of flavor. Don’t come here too hungry, though, as the price of the food options can add up quickly. The service is always excellent. Carson, if she still works there, is our favorite server, and she has given us complimentary tiny cocktails before, making us feel at home.
Mark S — Google review
Had a great time (as per usual) at Grand Army for Friday happy hour. It was pretty packed, but we were able to nab one of the last open tables. Our server was very helpful and attentive. Drinks were great and had the coolest shaped ice cubes! The oysters were also phenomenal, as was the truffle dog. Great spot!
Loren — Google review
I’ve been coming here 1-2 times a year, for years (business traveller). While the drinks were always spectacular, I always found most of the servers a little too cool/ miserable/ unsmiling. Patty has changed this. I was here twice this week, and the food was outstanding, drinks still on point, but the staff were super nice. Keep hold of Patty.
Stephen H — Google review
The food at Oyster was good and the service was decent. The place has a nice atmosphere and looks beautiful. However, the prices are quite high compared to other similar restaurants. Overall, a pleasant experience but a bit pricey.
Mario M — Google review
Visited Grand Army this past weekend. Highly recommend making a reservation if you decide to go. Even though it was full, the noise level wasn’t uncomfortable at any point and I was able to easily carry a conversation. All the bites came out quickly and they were solid. The drinks were really the star of our time, because they were just that good. I will be back and trying all the things I didn’t get to!

Cocktail bar
Sunken Harbor Club is a nautical-themed bar located above a popular restaurant in Downtown Brooklyn. The bar offers cleverly-named cocktail categories and has an intimate and quirky atmosphere, giving off after-dark beach club vibes. It's the perfect place to enjoy an aperitif before dinner or a post-meal digestif. Situated on the second floor of a landmark building, the bar attracts stylish locals and visitors from Manhattan.
This tiki bar was recommended to us as a fun night out and we finally checked it out last week. Super fun! It's small, so even on a weeknight you'll likely have to wait to get in (or make a reservation?) but it's super fun once you're up there. Lots of drink choices, fun crowd, and certain drinks come with "special effects", I'll just say.
Loren — Google review
It was a great surprise! After the period-setting that is Gage and Tollner downstairs, you are transformed into quite literally the Sunken Harbor Club. The dedication to the theme was perfect without being too on-the-nose. From the menu categories to the individual restrooms and a very unexpected (into the twilight) show. I won't give it all away. But think, sights and sounds. The drinks were very tasty and not to overcomplicated matters but there's also off-menu options to explore. Our waiter, Tommy, was great! He was so personable, constantly checking on us, and again! he too was dedicated to the theme - 'welcome aboard!' From beginning to end, it was an exciting and much enjoyable experience. **if you have light sensitivities/not a fan of fog machines, do check to see if this will be happening while you're there. Not sure if it's timed.

By far the chillest bar I’ve been to! Service was impeccable; honestly the drinks were so strong and a bit of struggle to get through 😭 but I’m glad they didn’t rush us or anything. The staff here were nothing but kind, genial, and hospitable. The comeback special with the peanut butter is also something I would reorder. Really enjoyed the Shrimp toast + Spam Banh Mi as well! I didn’t expect the food to be that great. Fun vibes all around! Definitely revisiting. 💯

An amazing hidden gem. Was recently at a Tiki Bar Speakeasy in Miami (Kaona Lounge) and the staff there sang the praises of Garrett Richard (The head mixologist here at Sunken Harbor Club). I had to come check it out. Sadly my first attempt was during a holiday weekend, and was told that the wait-list was full at 8pm on a Sunday, so I came back and few weeks later and grabbed the last bar seat that evening. The drinks were pure perfection. The vibe is absolutely surreal as you are quickly transformed from NYC to a true sunken harbor. The staff were wonderful, bartenders answered every question I had about different rums with precision and deep knowledge. The playfulness of the crowd interactions when certain drinks are ordered (EL DIABLO!) was always enjoyable. The lounge area looked like a great place for a date night, so I came back once more on Halloween for a wonderful date night. Even arriving 30 minutes after opening, we were told it would be a 90 minute wait, but well worth it. Drinks were again on point and the vibe made for a wonderful night. Can't wait to come back again (hopefully I'll be smart enough to make a reservation next time)

Great atmosphere great cocktails really unique food choices as well. The bartenders were friendly and make an incredible cocktail. Definitely have some drinks and food. You won’t find anywhere else as well as a great ambience.
Seth K — Google review
I am a person obsessed with good theming and oh boy does this place take the cake. From the moment you go up the stairs you are truly transported to a tiki paradise. And then you order your cocktails and small bites and your taste buds are taken to heaven. Strong, strong suggestion to get there about 20-30 minutes before it opens (a line is already forming inside Gage and Tollner around this time), or else it’s a long wait if you don’t have a reservation.
Erica G — Google review
Sunken Harbor Club, nestled above the historic Gage & Tollner in Downtown Brooklyn, is a hidden gem that transports guests into a nautical dreamscape. With its ship-like interior, low lighting, and immersive audio-visual ambiance, the bar offers a cozy, intimate setting that feels both adventurous and refined. The vibe is sultry and chill, perfect for unwinding before dinner or diving deep into a night of exceptional cocktails. At the helm of this tropical haven is Garret Richard, an award-winning mixologist whose mastery of tiki and modern cocktail techniques has earned him accolades like VinePair’s 2024 Bartender of the Year. Richard’s creations are a brilliant fusion of classic tiki inspiration and cutting-edge mixology. Drinks like the Funky Ti Punch and Ginza Lights showcase his ability to balance bold flavors with precision, using acid-adjusting and carbonation techniques to elevate traditional recipes. Richard’s deep respect for cocktail history, combined with his flair for innovation, makes every drink at Sunken Harbor Club a revelation. Whether you're a seasoned tiki enthusiast or a curious newcomer, the menu offers something to surprise and delight. The service is warm and accommodating, and while the food options are limited, the dumplings are a standout. In short, Sunken Harbor Club is more than a bar—it’s an experience. And Garret Richard is not just a bartender; he’s a storyteller, crafting liquid narratives that linger long after the last sip.

Finding the entrance was a bit tricky at first, as there’s no signage outside. To get there, you need to enter through Gage & Tollner and then take a left to access the Sunken Harbor Club. Once inside, the atmosphere is absolutely incredible—it genuinely feels like you’ve stepped into an underwater world. The vibe is vibrant, the music is great, and the crowd is wonderfully diverse. My only letdown was the food selection, which I found a bit limited. Otherwise, a fantastic experience overall.

Sunny's Bar in Red Hook is a historic saloon adorned with knickknacks that has been around since the 1890s. Despite facing challenges such as neighborhood changes, legal battles, and damage from Hurricane Sandy, it has stood the test of time. After the passing of its beloved owner, Sunny Balzano, his wife Tone Johansen secured the lease with community support. The bar offers a laid-back atmosphere for daytime drinks and features live music at night and on weekends.
19th-century maritime saloon way out on the edge of Red Hook. The building breathes history and the bar is jumping with killer live music and electric crowds. Strictly cash only as it’s always been, but the drinks are cheap. Multiple counters and outdoor spaces. This bar is a time capsule and I hope it never changes.
Cain — Google review
If you have never been to Red Hook make sure you stop by here and check it out. It’s been around forever and feels like it when you look around. The bartender was super friendly and the drinks are very reasonably priced. There is indoor and outdoor space, so choose your spot to relax and go back in time.
David R — Google review
I had heard this place was legendary. It lives up to the hype. Had a great Old Fashioned, a shot of whiskey and some kind of craft lager. The best thing about this place is the playlist of music. Classic stuff like Neil Young or 60s 70s rock and roll not that garbage hip hop, trance and rap that most places play these days. Go here and have a good time
Dominic C — Google review
One of the best bar atmospheres I’ve ever been in. I love the lights and the decor and the outdoor seating area as well. They make a great and affordable dark and stormy too.
Per S — Google review
If you haven't been to Sunny's yet, you should do what you can to correct that. IF you can go when there is live music, the back room is great. It's NYC's equivalent of a juke joint. Red Hook is like an entirely different part of NYC.

It’s old. It’s local. This is the spot. Live music is always on point. Staff is always friendly. Drinks are the right price. I enjoy it every time I go.

Here for a wedding reception. The private event took place on a patio in the back. I enjoyed the bar service and saloon feel that dates back over 130 years

a nice bar to relax and chat at, especially on nights where it's not too busy. (avoid friday, saturday, and sunday nights! unless you're into live bluegrass performances) the bar has an interior that is quite deep and has outdoor seating as well. we appreciated the drinks. they're cash only so make sure to bring enough! prices for drinks were around $10-14.

I had a great time at Elsewhere! The atmosphere was lively and the music was excellent. I appreciated how professional and attentive the staff were.. it made me feel safe throughout the night, which isn’t always the case at busy clubs. The rooftop was a highlight with a nice vibe and fresh air, perfect for a break from the main floor. That said, there’s room for improvement. The bathrooms could honestly have been a lot cleaner, and the stairs leading up to the rooftop felt a bit dangerous something to be mindful of if you’re wearing heels or if it’s crowded.. or very tipsy. The metal stairs are also outside. Overall though, a solid spot for a night out and I’d come back again.

The service was fast and accommodating, the atmosphere was terrific, and the music was amazing. I felt a lot of love on the dance floor. It was extremely inclusive, and I can’t wait to go back. I went to a Papa Juice party, and the vibes were exceptional.

It was my first time at elsewhere. It was pretty sick. We were on the rooftop. Glad it’s covered up for an outdoor show. The view of the city is cool and the sound is great too. You think it’d be terrible but since it’s a smaller venue, it works. One thing you have to be careful about are the stairs. When the show is packed, you might get pushed down. There aren’t really any barriers. Here’s hot mulligan

This review is about sustainability! By 2050 there will be more plastic in the ocean than fish. And over 95% of the plastic that we tried to recycle does not actually get recycled, but ends up instead in landfills, incinerators, and our waterways. I was sad to see the sale and consumption of so much single used plastic here at elsewhere, when here for a show the other night. It felt like a lot of cognitive dissonance, as we overlooked NYC rivers in the distance, and listen to musicians who were talking about their emotions regarding the environmental crisis. as a business in a waterfront city, I hope you can reconsider how you utilize plastics. By now, there are plenty of other, better options. At the least, you could have a water refill station with real reusable durable plastic cups. And a bin to collect them. Kind of like what House of Yes does. Or you could have a water fountain people could use. Or you could sell aluminum canned water. As aluminum is infinitely recyclable. You could also cease the use of flimsy single use plastic cups for draft beers, by similarly using durable cups for beer. I opted to get canned beer so I could avoid plastic, but I’m sure many people don’t even realize the necessity of that distinction when making their order. Thank you for considering my feedback. I want a happier and healthier New York, and I want to support venues that are helping us to get there. We can’t wait anymore to solve the plastic pollution crisis. Lovely staff, lovely venue, and would be even lovely without all the trash created in a mere three hour show.

I have seen two shows at this venue so far, it’s extremely nice! The bartenders are great, the security is responsive, and the bathroom is clean. They host a lot of events, and are some free, so I’d recommend this place to anyone seeking a fun night out with live music :)

The music venue you think of when you are looking for the big city vibes. With 3 floors, a patio, and an outside rooftop you've got space to feel the music. Great sound and spectacular light effects for an immersive experience. My wife and I had a fun time and enjoyed the various rooms, DJs and the effects.

Spectacular venue. Saw Effy on the rooftop. It was organized, secure and easy. Plenty of free parking on the street. The staff at the beginning were chill. Checked ID’s and did security efficiently. At the venue, I did not feel out of place. Crowd was mid 20s to early 30s. The rooftop was nice, they did a good job with setting up smoke as ventilation. Bar staff were quick and friendly. Made drinks strong and pleasant. Staff around gave helpful instructions to the bathroom. Bathroom was clean. Definitely one of the better venues out there. You’ll have a great time here :)

Today was my first time at Eve’s. I stopped here on a whim, just enjoying a beautiful Friday evening. My waitress Samantha was very warm and welcoming, very friendly. It was a vibe. The place was kinda small, but it was fun. The smoke was a little much, and I didn't like the music the whole time, but over all have a lot of fun.
Dominique E — Google review
Absolutely awful experience. The staff was not just rude—they were physically aggressive to the point that I felt threatened. A bartender forcefully ripped a drink out of my hand, something I had just paid for minutes earlier, while I was quietly leaving. I wasn’t drunk, I wasn’t resisting—I was walking out like everyone else. It was humiliating, unnecessary, and honestly frightening. They continue selling drinks minutes before closing, only to turn around and treat guests like criminals for still holding them. Meanwhile, others walked out with drinks without a problem, which made their behavior toward me feel personal and hostile. I couldn’t help but wonder if I was being targeted because I’m a woman—and because I’m Black. This was more than bad service—it was unsafe. I would never recommend this place, especially to women. Stay far away.

Got kicked out for dancing along a wall and a certificate fell and broke. This was after I gave it to a staff member the first time it fell. The bartenders are so disgustingly rude especially the girl with blonde hair and a hat. She told security to kick me out after I bought two WHITE CLAWS (I was not drunk ). This place was rude and hostile for ABSOLUTELY NO REASON.
Anjellica R — Google review
I really wanted to like this place but unfortunately it’s not a safe environment. On the same night, I was both drugged and had my phone stole here. I returned the next time and asked for them to waive my entry fee and was given attitude and fully denied entry to the club even after being willing to pay. I would hope there would be more concern for their patrons’ safety. Disappointing experience and response both times attempting to go. Will not be going back.

Knowing that this is a pretty big dance institution of NYC, it was cool to finally visit. They didn’t let me down! Bartenders were nice, the spiked Yerba mate soda is definitely worth trying. DJ’s were going b2b all night and it was great. I personally liked the smoke machine, it added an ambiance. If you get there early enough, the cover is waved. Coat check was affordable (3). Overall, if I lived in the area, I would certainly be there more.

A mysterious dimly lit bar with old school ambiance, jazzy background songs and amazing happy hour deals. We especially loved the sparkling wine ($10!), our prosciutto dates appetizer was ok, I expected a bit meatier dates but it did the job. Very impressive cocktail menu, will be back to try. A perfect place for a fall/winter date.

Super cute! We were visiting our friend and wanted to stop for a drink after popping into the Brooklyn museum and this spot was perfect! Charming inside and outside (where we sat). They were kind enough to make me my own favorite cocktail (Sidecar) despite the gorgeous creative drinks on their menu, so I appreciated that. My friend got the Jalepiña and we both loved our drinks!

The bar, created by Chef Andrew Carmellini, boasts an impressive menu of craft cocktails and delicious food. The NoHo hospitality group ensures that every drink and bite has both a story and excellent quality.
Went to Westlight in Brooklyn and was absolutely blown away. This spot is stunning — the panoramic views of the NYC skyline at sunset are unbeatable. The vibe is upscale but relaxed, and it’s the perfect place to take in the city from above. We only had drinks this time, but everything was well-made and the service was smooth. No complaints at all. It’s definitely a place you go to for both the atmosphere and the experience. Can’t wait to come back and try the food — I’ll update the review once we do! Highly recommend if you’re looking for a beautiful rooftop bar with breathtaking views.
William Z — Google review
Awesome bar with an amazing view of Manhattan! Food and drinks were better than expected. While the atmosphere is impeccable, I’m taking off one star for the following reasons: - We had a reservation but still waited about 25 minutes to be seated. A simple “sorry for the wait” would have been appreciated. - Shortly after we were finally seated, a woman came over and accused us of taking the wrong table—as if we had seated ourselves. When we told her we were shown to the table, she asked who had seated us… um, the hostess? In fact, while we were waiting, the hostess mentioned that our indoor table was by an open window and would feel like we were outdoors. The table we were seated at matched that exact description, so I had just mentioned to the hostess that her description was spot on. Even if we were mistakenly seated at the wrong table, shouldn’t the staff communicate and resolve the issue internally instead of confronting and accusing guests? I’m not sure who this woman was, but she was quite rude. She never came back to apologize for the confusion. Our server was nice; however, he forgot to bring a water bowl for our dog (this place/hotel is dog-friendly), even after we asked for one. We didn’t bother asking again. But a staff member who was cleaning our table noticed we had a dog and kindly offered to bring a water bowl, which we appreciated. Note that there are two separate lines for the elevators—one for reservations and another for walk-ins. This was not clearly indicated. The doorman (I think?) simply asks if you’re going to Westlight and then points you to the walk-in line when you say yes, so we initially waited in the wrong line.
Stella L — Google review
This place never disappoints even if you're visiting just for drinks or after dinner. The views are probably one of the best in NYC. The top terrace with couches is a nice touch because it offers sitting area even if you're not booking a table. Its tough getting through the crowd in order to get to the bar but it's manageable. Diverse selection of mixed drinks including some draft beers. Must visit if you're in the area.
Konrad S — Google review
I was looking for a bar with a beautiful view and it did not disappoint! I don’t remember the name of the cocktail, but it had blueberry and basil — one of the best cocktails I’ve ever had. The snacks were tasty, and the service was friendly. I’m absolutely thrilled with this place!
Katie M — Google review
The scenery is absolutely stunning. If you’re coming here to take beautiful photos or enjoy the night view, this place is definitely worth it. But if you’re looking for great food, it might not be the best choice. The prices are moderate—not cheap, but not too expensive either. It’s definitely a great spot for dates or gatherings. The photo shows what I ordered when I went there—everything was quite good except for the Coke. Maybe it’s just because I don’t like flavored Coke, but honestly, it tasted terrible. P.S. I recommend sitting indoors during spring, autumn and winter. You can step outside to take some photos, but don’t eat out there. The wind was so strong when I went that my food got cold right after it was served. Overall, though, I’d still highly recommend this place.

Westlight is an absolute top 5 pick for best rooftop restaurant in NYC. With breathtaking views, delicious small plates, unique drinks, and one of the largest rooftop spaces you'll find in the 5 boroughs, Westlight is easily one of the best rooftop spots that you can find in NYC. The food was flavorful and appetizing, especially the jerk oxtail sliders!! To top it all off, the staff was simply amazing. Every single employee I encountered was not only courteous, attentive and knowledgeable, but just all-round wonderful people. And as if the glass-enclosed and terrace dining areas weren't great enough, they have a large open lawn a level above, that offers completely unobstructed views from all angles. Westlight is definitely a new addition to my favorites, and I'm eager to visit again soon!!

If you can find a better sunset view in Brooklyn, I would be shocked! This is a nice brewery located in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, serving up some pretty good food and craft beers. There are 4 pinball machines located on the first floor, there’s open seating on the first floor, and there’s also a second rooftop floor. I really like this place, but there’s one glaring issue for me. I love bringing my dog to breweries which are usually all dog-friendly, but because of a prior review talking about a negative experience with their dog on the roof, I didn’t bring my dog when I came to check this place out. I did see a dog inside on the first floor, but when you start walking towards the stairs up to the roof there are a bunch of ominous signs warning that only service dogs are allowed on the roof and inside, otherwise dogs are only allowed on the sidewalk which is just not doable in the colder months - which is a big disappointment. I was told that staff MAY look the other way if I brought my pup next time, but the fact that there’s a glaring anti-dog policy in writing on signs everywhere would make me feel very uncomfortable if I brought my dog there. This brewery really needs to address and fix this in my opinion - in which case this would be a 5-star local spot in my book.

Loved this 💎 in Greenpoint. It has a nice beer selection. The space is big but my favorite part was the rooftop with the multicolored tower. The roof seating is comfortable. It has picnic tables and some tables with high top chairs. The vibe is laid back. I will definitely revisit.

The brewery tour and tasting was so much fun!! We leaned a lot from Jessie, and she was so lovely and patient with all our questions. It is legitimately a fab way to spend an evening! It also feels very fairly priced! There are also two cats - thrilling!

The new location has a very similar vibe to their old space, with the addition of a large rooftop patio. Still in the process of opening up so make sure to check the website for details. Currently serving some 5-6 draft beers and a couple of cans. Kitchen is not open yet so you can bring your own food. Dog friendly!

John was a great tour guide. I left with a whole new perspective on the brewing process and an appreciation of the German roots of brewing in Greenpoint. Highly recommend. The beer was great too!
Scott L — Google review
This brewery has quickly become my new favorite spot. Tucked away in Greenpoint near a dead end, it offers a quiet retreat on weekdays if you’re looking for a peaceful drink. They have a small rooftop with some seating and a bar, so you can order food and drinks without having to go downstairs. The rooftop usually closes a bit earlier, but the downstairs area has plenty of room for both outdoor and indoor seating. As an IPA lover, I appreciate the variety of options they have on hand. The only downside is that on trash day or when it rains, the East River can give off a pretty bad smell when the wind blows in the wrong direction. But overall, it’s a great spot to relax and enjoy a quality beer.
Sadi — Google review
The brewery is a good place to "Pursue Righteousness." The IPA had a nice citrus note and was quite refreshing on a hot day. Be aware that on the weekends the line to the rooftop garden are long. When one makes it to the rooftop order immediately at the bar to expedite one's order.

Located in South Williamsburg, Pokito is a vibrant and eclectic cocktail bar that offers creative Latin-Asian cocktails in a cozy and snug setting. The bar's atmosphere is tropical and lively, with whitewashed brick walls and an eclectic mix of decor reminiscent of the Urban Outfitters home section, Chinatown, and an art student's apartment. The space is known for its kitschy-yet-thoughtful design details, including mismatched wall art in the restroom.
An absolute gem! The vibes and atmosphere are so cute/perfect. The cocktails are amazing. Very cute bar! The bartenders are friendly and overall highly recommend this place.

Cute, casual cocktail bar with a great happy hour! I went in after work on a Wednesday night. The happy hour goes until 8 which is nice. I ordered the Rick Ross which was very yummy. The place itself is fairly small, but luckily it wasn’t too crowded so there were still places to sit when I went in. It’s seat yourself and you order at the bar. They offer some snacks but do not have a full dinner menu.
Midori G — Google review
A fun little cocktail bar, eclectic and maybe just slightly indecisive, they have a mixture of frozen and handmade cocktails, a few beers and wines. The theme is a cross between Asian and Latin - they feature tacos, have a heavily tequila-influenced menu, and also lots of Asian decorations as well as sake. It’s a fun spot, the cocktails maybe slightly expensive for the vibe, but upbeat and cheery.

Such an underrated spot!! It had been on my list for a while and I finally made it over there - already can’t wait to go back. The ambiance is so fun, bartender was friendly and helpful, and the drinks were delicious. They also have Jell-O shot flights! Didn’t seem super alcoholic but they were so fun. Excellent place to grab a drink or go on a weekend night!

Tiny hole in the wall serving amazing cocktails! I loved the vibes in here, it’s super intimate (probably room for 20 people jam packed). An extra special treat was the halloween jell-o shots, which both look and tasted amazing!

Enjoyed our night out at Pokito. We had two martinis, a seltzer water, and the smoki negroni. The drinks were excellent and the service was kind. A little loud inside, but really enjoyed the attention to detail along the walls and interior. The light was cool and it was an enjoyable vibe. Would definitely be back!

Cute, kitschy bar with eclectic decor from Japanese face masks on the wall to random Bollywood art hanging in the back, and the coolest bathroom. Stopped by early Friday night like typical happy hour time, just a handful of tables inside but there was plenty of space, plus some tables outside. Approachable and friendly bar staff. Happy hour drinks are a steal I think $8-12, and really other good seasonal drinks too that were $15-16. Amazing playlist, early 2000s hip hop, some of my favorite Ashanti songs (maybe a niche reference). Stopped by as a quick pit stop before a movie, definitely wished we stayed longer.

Cute little bar to grab drinks after work or pregame before hitting the club! Their cocktails are delicious and they have great happy hour deals with $10 speciality cocktails! Definitely recommend trying Muy Bueno cocktail. The only issue is that the seating is very limited and you might end up not getting a table but that’s totally expected in Williamsburg!

House of Yes, located in Bushwick, Brooklyn, is known for its vibrant atmosphere and events. Parking in the area can be challenging, especially during busy nights or events. Street parking is available, but it may require some searching for a spot. It's advisable to arrive early if you plan to drive. The surrounding area is urban and eclectic, with a mix of warehouses, art spaces, and residential buildings. Public transportation options, such as the subway, are also accessible, which can be a convenient alternative to driving. Overall, while parking can be tricky, the lively neighborhood offers a unique experience. Nestled in a former ice warehouse, House of Yes is a vibrant and funky venue that brilliantly showcases an eclectic mix of dance, circus, theater, and cabaret performances. The atmosphere is electric, drawing in a diverse and enthusiastic crowd that adds to the overall experience. While the long queue to enter can be daunting, reservations are highly recommended to secure your spot in this artistic haven. Inside, you'll find a captivating array of talent, with various performance groups taking the stage to dazzle and inspire. The outdoor area is a delightful escape, perfect for mingling and enjoying the lively ambiance. The drinks are consistently crafted to perfection, enhancing the overall enjoyment of the evening. While the customer service could use a touch more warmth, the incredible performances and vibrant energy make House of Yes a must-visit destination for anyone seeking a night of unforgettable entertainment.

Went for Bratland which was a once in a lifetime experience, unfortunately wish there were more dancers here but the venue does an amazing job providing just an absolute one of a kind atmosphere, the sound system is great, the patio is super fun, and overall it's just a very inviting space that did feel pretty safe for how many people there were. Queer spaces like this are just so important.
Chase E — Google review
House of Yes isn’t just a venue—it’s a state of mind, a glitter-drenched fever dream of queer joy, radical self-expression, and performance art that swings from the ceiling (literally). If you walk in expecting a traditional night out, prepare to be lovingly and fabulously corrected. From the moment I entered with a friend, it was clear this place plays by its own, very sparkly rules. The first room was more of a whimsical prelude than a line-up zone: drinks flowing, people mingling like old friends at a costume party, and a gloriously casual pile of pillows where you could recline like a disco-era Roman god. And yes—there was a tarot reader, naturally, because no true evening of hedonistic joy is complete without a stranger telling you your moon energy needs grounding. Once the main room opened, things escalated—in the best way possible. Performers appeared everywhere: on stage, above our heads, behind the crowd—acrobats, dancers, aerialists, all oozing talent, glitter, and just enough danger to keep you watching with your mouth open and your drink clutched tightly. It wasn’t just a dance floor—it was a full-blown immersive experience. The music kept the energy up all night: infectious, thumping, and curated to make even the shyest feet consider their moment of main-character glory. The crowd? Pure magic. Full of respectful, expressive, and joyful people, the kind of fellow partygoers you dream about meeting in New York. Everyone was there to dance, to celebrate, to vibe—not to posture or preen. What makes House of Yes so special is that it’s not just a nightclub—it’s a celebration of freedom in all its forms. Of identity, of movement, of art, of joy. It’s campy, chaotic, oddly intimate, and—somehow—profound. In short: if you’re craving a space that feels like Studio 54 met a circus in a utopian queer commune, House of Yes is your new church. Bring an open mind, comfortable shoes, and a healthy appreciation for sequins.

Very different and fun bar/circus to go visit. It´s a different show than what you could probably see in the rest of the world but Amsterdam. Show varies so I can´t talk for other shows, but ours was very sexually artistic, nothing straight of course, highly acrobatic, and one comedy slot that was SO funny. Drinks are expensive with very little alcohol. I believe there are a bunch of cool features I didn´t get to see, but there´s a lot of back-rooms and stuff. The area is awesome too.

I never write negative reviews ever but I had to address the unacceptable and highly aggressive behavior by your security staff, which is a serious safety risk that management must immediately address. The initial red flag was seeing a large male bouncer physically lifting and manhandling a female guest upon our arrival. Shortly thereafter, while queuing, I was physically nudged to the point of losing my balance. My verbal reaction—a non-aggressive comment shared privately and jokingly with my cousin in response to the unexpected physical contact—was overheard and misinterpreted by a female bouncer. Despite my immediate and sincere apology and calm explanation—clarifying that the comment was a private, joking response to just the physical contact, not an insult directed at her, I didn’t even know it was her who shoved me—the bouncer refused any dialogue and aggressively escalated the situation. She began shouting, pushing, and calling for backup, treating us as a physical threat merely for seeking an explanation. The severity of the incident was heightened by the involvement of the backup bouncer, who was the same male staff member previously seen manhandling a woman. Together they were highly aggressive and despite our attempts to de-escalate, made me feel extremely unsafe and unprotected, especially since we were not in the wrong and had offered a clear explanation. Furthermore, this aggressive action happened just after paying around $60 in entrance and coat check fees, with absolutely no refund provided. The female bouncer initially attempted to remove us without allowing us to retrieve our coats, displaying an utter lack of professionalism and basic customer care. Management must recognize that aggressive bouncer conduct is a systemic issue, as confirmed by similar customer feedback. This is particularly damaging within a Queer environment where guests must feel safe and protected by staff. We urge management to conduct an immediate and thorough review of security training and personnel to ensure professional, non-violent standards of conduct are strictly enforced.

Death & Co East Village is a renowned cocktail lounge that exudes the ambiance of the speakeasy era. Established in 2006, it has become an iconic institution for quality cocktails and has even expanded nationally with its own merch line and canned cocktails. The bar's dark, moody setting and sophisticated vibe make it a must-visit for cocktail enthusiasts. The eclectic drink menus are curated by the bar director, who draws inspiration from the venue's historic roots.
This place is of course legendary, and I’m just sad it took so long to finally come here. The menu is fun to read through, and really spans the styles of cocktails well- they even had a flip, which was amazing. As expected, the bartenders are really helpful and if you’re not sure what you want from the menu you could safely just have a conversation with them about what you like and they’ll pick or style something for you. It seems the menu changes every six months or so. Definitely on the slightly pricier side for cocktails bars of this genre in NYC, but the quality is very high.

Atmosphere: 8.5/10 East Village. Classic Death & Co ambiance—dimly lit, intimate, and sleek. The space feels like an upscale basement speakeasy, with a moody, timeless design and a striking backbar. The crowd is diverse and lively, though the music volume can make conversation challenging at times. Drinks: 8/10 Recommendation: Moving Target True to the Death & Co brand, the menu is extensive and thoughtfully organized by flavor profiles like “Light & Playful,” “Boozy & Honest,” and “Elegant & Timeless.” The laminated menu is high quality, and the cocktail selection is impressive. Drinks were solid. Considering my experience at the LA location, I would call the drinks “hit or miss”. The moving target is a well balanced drink and tastes good! Glassware is refined, though presentation and garnishes are kept minimal. Nice coasters Service: 8/10 The staff is friendly and attentive, maintaining professionalism even during busy hours. Water is promptly served upon seating. Prices are average for New York City. The service here was more attentive than at the LA location. Be prepared for a potentially long wait; on a Saturday night, a two-person party waited over two hours.

Amazing experience!!! 10/10 recommend. Especially if you sit at the bar! Everything was wonderful- the hostess was very friendly and professional, the bartenders really appreciate their craft, you can tell. You can’t go wrong with any drink. We walked in last minute, probably one hour before close and they were able to squeeze us in and I am so grateful! Just go and see for yourself

Went for a last minute drink at 11pm on a Saturday. The wait for 2 was reasonable, given how busy the venue was inside. As we sat down we were quickly given menus and spoken to by a bartender. Cocktails were nice with a generally interesting flavor profile. Cookies were delicious, and appeared to be made to order. Would I go again? Absolutely.

I’ve been waiting for years to come to Death & Co., ever since I randomly found and bought their first book in 2019. In the following years I bought the other 2 books too and they all sit fiercely on my cocktail shelf. I finally managed to come to NYC and Death & Co. was the first name on my to-visit bars. My expectations were high and they were met by their staff (very very special shoutout to Amanda, the lady who welcomed me at the door. Guys, she deserves a raise, really!) Vibe is awesome, cocktails were great. The bartender also gave me a Death & Co. pen as soon as I told him I was a fan. I obviously came back 2 days later. Well done!

I really like Le Bain! It’s a fun bar and nightclub, and they even have a Jacuzzi. My friends went last night before Memorial Day and were actually swimming in it there were big balloons, great music, and a fun crowd. The drinks were nice too. I haven’t tried the food yet, but I bet it’s good. The view is amazing, and everyone was really friendly. I’d definitely go back. Since I live in Manhattan, it’s super easy to get to. 🔥

Rude staff, door person, yes the blond one. Over the top "we're so exclusive vibe" rude attitude but it was actually not at all. There's a little hot tub reeking of chlorine as you down your vodka, while staff try to find more ways to exclude and mistreat you. Views were SPECTACULAR! Music was house, and great DJ, so atmosphere was good, everyone dancing, a younger crowd though. We just happened to be there because friends were staying at hotel. Door person wanted to see a key for each person - seriously. Drinks were very watered down. Had a great time because with friends and good music, but would never come back. Lots of great venues in NYC without rude staff and management.

Worst experience I’ve ever had in a club. Even if you get in, the drink prices are outrageous and the venue is lame. All they have is decent restrooms. A weird hot tub. And good views of Lower Manhattan. But the drama at the front door is not worth it: I thought this club was okay, until I got rejected for entry for no reason. I visited this club many times before. But in Nov 2025, they let my entire group in, but not me and refused to give me a reason. They were so disrespectful that all of my friends left this venue along with me. Idk how they can stay in business while treating their customers with so much disrespect. People who go clubbing generally spend a lot of money. Nobody deserves racial or disrespect. There are better places to have a good time with n NYC..

Had a great night at Le Bain! There was a bit of a line to get in even with tickets (which you do need by the way) but it’s a free space which is great. Inside the views were perfect and it wasnt too crowded, there was some space to dance. Saw Rich Medina do a full set on vinyl only which was amazing, his choices were so funky and just banger after banger. Sound was great but lighting couldve been a bit better. Tons of disco balls but they werent used much. There was an open air upstairs area too with even better views of downtown manhattan and jersey but way more crowded and the music was harder to hear. Downstairs much much better but nice to have a place for some fresh air.

Public Records is a hi-fi record bar in Gowanus, Brooklyn that offers food and drink options along with an intimate performance space and a vegan cafe. It is one of the renowned venues within New York City's dance music scene, attracting artists from around the world. The city hosts other popular dance-music clubs like Bossa Nova Civic Club, Paragon, and Good Room in different neighborhoods of Brooklyn.
Great vibes, outstanding cold brew, and friendly staff. Public Records is an approachable and upscale hangout vibe for the culturally curious who also appreciate specialty coffee. The outside may be brick, but the inside is hip. The once animal shelter is now a green and chic coffee chop, restaurant, and bar. It’s spacious, plant-filled, and industrial-chic with background beats bopping from the bass-heavy sound system. Patio, plants, and presentation room with presence. Join the welcoming and eclectic mix of customers in one of the many seats simmered in natural light. The drip coffee is a subtle and balanced light/medium roast from Ethiopia. Highly drinkable, and approachable for those dipping their toes into coffee without milk. The cold brew is the clear standout. It’s delicate, light, and refreshing; perfect for a spring or summer day. Smells like a tropical, guava cocktail, and makes me feel like I’m on the beach. It’s hard to leave this place! Drip coffee score: 4/5. Everything else score: 5/5. Overall score: 4.5/5.

I was here for an event to listen to a new record that was being released tonight. It was a bit confusing once we arrived… there’s a restaurant, a club downstairs, a lounge/listening room upstairs. We initially went inside the restaurant and were told to go wait outside until a black door opened. When it opened, we stood in line to get our tickets and IDs checked but were told by the staff that we were upstairs, so we had to go back outside and enter another black door. We ended up going upstairs to the listening room that had a small bar in the back. It’s a nice area; brightly lit during the day but intimate once the sun sets but extremely hot inside (they only had the windows open). Got a couple of beers (from Threes Brewing) to drink while listening to the entire record. It was pretty cool since the artist, Eliana Glass, was sitting right next to us since her friends were sharing a table with us. We didn’t realize it was her until we overheard their convo. She ended up performing a couple of her songs live. Definitely an interesting experience that we would have no clue about if Spotify hadn’t informed us of the free ticketed event.

Went here for dinner, wonderful inventive vegan menu that was tasty for me (non vegan) and vegan girlfriend. When you enter for dinner or just a walk-in drink, coffee, etc,. I love the magazine area and small record store at the front. Labneh and celeriac skewers on current dinner menu were both fantastic. Wonderful vibe, great selection of music playing, server was delightful, would recommend. Only note is someone will probably inevitably turn their phone light on while you are dining. Would return!

I rarely say this, especially while I’m still at the restaurant, but I will definitely be coming back — and I want to show this place to all my friends. It’s truly a fantastic spot! I loved every dish we tried. The staff was incredibly welcoming and friendly, the ambiance was wonderful, and even the background sounds added to the charm. There’s just one thing that needs improvement: the toilets are overloaded and have a strong smell.

My husband took me here on an early birthday date to dinner and a record launch show (Eleri Ward). This vegan café seriously undersell themselves. The food is reasonably priced and yet gourmet caliber. Nuanced, layered flavors and so so delicious. We got the fingerling potatoes (WOW), celeriac skewer (Whaaa and wow wow wow!), the tacos (very good), and the tahini hibiscus cheesecake with the most delicious toasted vegan meringue on top. They also really seem to go out of their way to make it feel like a special celebration with bookend congrats via champagne for both of us and then the dessert with candle at the end. Then we had a fun time at the concert afterwards. Couldn’t believe we got all that for under $75. I’ve found a new fave spot for sure!

Its a bar. There was a grill going outside, not sure if it was affiliated. I didnt get anything, it was sold out when I left the bar. The bartender was nice although the drinks gave me a headache the next morning. However, the dj was great! We danced and had a fun time! Mario is my fave. I will go back when Im in NY.

I recently visited Gotta Go to Mo’s with a few coworkers for a casual drink after work. Unfortunately, the experience left a lot to be desired. I ordered a glass of Pinot Grigio, only to be told there were no wine glasses available, which was surprising for any establishment that serves wine. More concerning was the overall atmosphere — the bar had a very unpleasant odor throughout, which significantly impacted our experience. Cleanliness and ambiance are key to a welcoming environment, and unfortunately, this visit missed the mark on both. While I always try to support local businesses, this has been one of my least favorite bar experiences in Brooklyn. I hope improvements are made, as the location has potential with the right care and attention.

The Fleur Room is a botanical-themed rooftop lounge located atop the Moxy Chelsea hotel in Manhattan. The lounge has panoramic views of the city and features gourmet nibbles and cocktails served by charming bartenders. The venue regularly hosts DJs to keep guests entertained into the night.
Learning about The Fleur Room days before my trip was incredible. Learning that The Fleur Room was NEXT DOOR to my hotel was another thing. Sold. No regrets. I sat at the bar for a bit while the window seats were taken up with others. They left (before the most amazing sunset....) which worked out nicely, since I decided that one glass of wine was just not going to do it, considering that the window panorama view spot had opened up and ... Well, YES PLEASE.... I hopped on over and ordered another drink and enjoyed the most unexpected, beautiful sunset on Day 1. Just when they said it would rain everyday. Live every moment.

The Fleur Room in NYC is a chic rooftop lounge with stunning panoramic views of the skyline, including the Empire State Building. Its floral-inspired décor is elegant yet playful, creating a glamorous atmosphere. The cocktails are creative, the vibe is lively, and the music keeps the energy high. Perfect for a night out, though it can get pricey and crowded—worth it for the unforgettable setting.

Stunning views from a gorgeous rooftop! We did arrive around 1230 (30 min prior to closing) - our drinks took longer than I hope but the security guard made sure everyone left at 1 which was a tad disappointing- but it was a great stop!

The Fleur Room is such a fun and stylish spot for a night out! The food is surprisingly good for a rooftop lounge, we had tenders, mini burgers, and fries with espresso martinis, and everything was super tasty. Cocktails were well-made and the service was great. The space itself is beautiful, with cozy booths, sleek tables, and an incredible view of the city. The music was commercial and pop, super easy to enjoy, sing along to, and dance all night. Perfect place to vibe, party, and take in the NYC skyline!

Came here for mini martini hour. It’s a cute concept & I think the drinks & small bites are reasonably priced. Service was a little off though & it seemed like we were being rushed to go as soon as it hit 8 p.m. Cute ambiance with nice views of the city. Not sure if I’d visit again though.

Very Clicky & Weird. Let white girls in without a promoter for free but made every woman of color come in w one. Was told “who do you know?” Like 10 times. Mind you I’m a model….The scenery inside is nice but there’s liquor all over the floor and it’s sticky. Front bouncer is rude !!!!!!!

Went on a Friday night with my two friends and we had so much fun! The space was decently sized with a lot of people and the vibes were good. I would definitely come back and I think fridays are the best night to come!

The views make this lounge a 10. Additionally, the fact that there is barely any traffic outside of happy hour is nice too. My issue lays with the service. Staff that’s supposed to check you in assumes you’re a walk in and pretty much ignores you. Once seated I waited 20 min and didn’t get approached by a server. I ended up going to the bar, and the two ladies behind the bar saved the experience. They were quick and attentive, and decently friendly. Overall I came here for the view, but left because of the service. Can’t say I’ll be eager to come back, but I would try their happy hour.

Rose Bar is an upscale and exclusive cocktail parlor located within the Gramercy Park Hotel. The bar features a sophisticated ambiance with a solid walnut bar, a limestone fireplace, and original works by renowned artists such as Andy Warhol and Damien Hirst adorning the walls. It's known for its strong craft cocktails and often hosts live jazz performances that transition into a dance club later in the evening.
Had an amazing time at Saturday night for girls night out. Deja at the door was awesome! The music is a perfect mix of 00's hip hop and current. The vibe is ideal and it was not too crowded. Highly recommend for a night out!

Nice cozy place with really strong drinks. They have live jazz some nights till 9 and then it turns into a dance club. Music is great and the place gets full but not elbow jabbing jammed like other clubs. Perfect high end spot for a date, and a dance or lounge on the side at one of the tables.

Terrible place. Avoid it at all cost. I went with there with 2 friends. We had drinks. Service was slow, but fine at the beginning. At some point server decided that we left (I was still at the table waiting for our drinks) and took candle from our table. I asked him what was the problem the reply was I have to leave the place. No explanation. He took my hand and walked my out, my purse and umbrella were still inside. We were still waiting for drinks. Outside They asked us to pay the bill, charged us for last round of drinks (we never got them) and 20% tip. I asked for a manager. There were no manager. Tip was about 80$. I will talk to my bank. Terrible service and management. I should have called a cops.
Marianna V — Google review
Nice cocktails, and a lot of cool, funky decor and paintings or photos. Otherwise the place leaves much to be desired... the ridiculous line to get in while there is plenty of space inside... the music... spent about 45 minutes to an hour here and had no desire to stay... To fancy for their own good...

Wish I would’ve read the reviews before showing up at this establishment. We’re from Montreal and heard this used to be the cool spot to go ( relatively still is happening) and thought we’d check it out since we had friends already partying inside. We showed up, two really well dressed couples and were told very abruptly by the woman at the door that without a reservation we can’t go in but can have access to the bar before the entry. We agreed since we were already there but when we entered the vibe was very boring and there was only 2-3 other people there and could clearly see from the other back door being opened how much cooler the Inside looked. The place wasn’t even packed so my friends boyfriend went back out to ask if there’s anyway we can have access very politely to find out they didn’t want to let us in because of the way he was dressed. The two people at the door were very rude afterwards. My friends are bloggers and are stylish AF. They clearly are selective about the faces the like and don’t and I didn’t understand the sudden attitude. We were ready to have a fun night and spend money in their establishment. Upon walking out and passing by the bouncer outside he said out loud “ Go on, get outta here” as if we were not welcome. DUDE YOU ARE SO RUDE! WHO THE FK SAYS THAT? I pretended not to hear because I didn’t think it was worth starting an argument over. After reading all these reviews it makes sense. Maybe you guys at rose bar don’t care about having people flock to your establishment but keep hiring staff who have a terrible attitude like this and I doubt your place is going to be a destination on peoples list. So many cool spots in NYC to compete with. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.
Stephania S — Google review
There's nothing rosy or sexy when this place is a racist establishment with unfriendly staffs and rude bouncers. It's probably the same black bouncer as the other's reviewed earlier. We went there last night, as it was Saturday and thought it'd be a good idea to swing by and see what the buzz is about. We were wrong. 5 of us, 4 being Asian and 1 good looking friend who's French. We are all out of towners so we were looking forward to it. Guess what? Only the French was allowed in and we were being pushed physically by the bouncer, saying 'reservation only'. He was aggressive to us. When we told him, our friend just went in 2 seconds ago, he said no, you cannot go in. By that time we just wanted to grab our friend and leave. But since our friend was already inside, we could only wait. They wouldn't even allow us to step in to look for our friend. I'm displeased by what happened. We finally managed to meet our friend again after waiting for twenty some minutes. No matter how 'cool' or 'must see' this place is, it'll never get a dollar from us. We had to leave and will never return. Pretentious, unfriendly establishments like this should never be encouraged.
Jelly F — Google review
We checked into the hotel and the front desk told us that the concierge could put us on the list to get into the Rose Bar. After a certain time in the evening you need to be on the list to gain entry. The concierge confirmed our entry on the list for four and we went about our day. We were the first of our party to arrive and we walked up to the curtain where there was a bouncer standing there with a list. I gave him my last name and he scanned the list and then told us that we were not on the list. I said we are guests of the hotel and the concierge put us on the list. He got rude and said well you aren't on the list. So, I said ok well I am going to go talk to the concierge and ask them. He then changed his tune and said I'm going to let you in but, next time make sure you are on the list or stay at the hotel. I wasn't going to argue the point that we were staying at the hotel. By this time the rest of our party was standing behind us and we all walked in together and then they asked what the problem was. We told them and then we scanned around to see if there was anywhere to sit. There wasn't and the music was super loud and also the bartenders looked a little overwhelmed. The music wasn't bad it was just definitely too amplified for the room and not conducive to a conversation so, we decided to exit and go to the Jade Bar. The next morning we spoke to the same concierge who put us on the list and she stated that she was sure that we had been on the list, looked it up and we were. She also said that they have this issue often and that the bar is operated by a separate management company than the hotel. She apologized profusely for how they treated us and looked completely embarrassed. I wouldn't event try to get on the list when we stay at the hotel again because I would rather walk down the street and not deal with a door guy who feels powerful just because he has a clipboard/list in his hand. If he was looking for a tip so that we could get in that wasn't going to happen; especially not with his rude attitude.
Carmela S — Google review
Exclusive fancy place... very nice if you don’t mind the pretentious service and snobby attitude of the bouncer. Very New York taking away half full drinks, but don’t complain about it otherwise they will bring you an empty glass... probably not yours...but who cares! They took away the pool table so don’t trust the pictures.

With a focus on fruit-forward beers such as Hazy IPAs and sours, TALEA aims to create a welcoming environment for beer enthusiasts of all kinds.
This is a nice open beer garden/brewery ready for families or adult groups. Nice relaxed worth beer flights and other draft options by the glass for discerning beet lovers.

We are so happy that we chose Talea to host our welcome night for our wedding weekend. We were looking for a casual, but large enough spot for our 130ish guests and where we could cater our own food since we couldn't have Vietnamese food at our actual wedding. The events staff are super easy to work with, the price is reasonable, and the space is really beautiful with lots of natural greenery so you don't need to decorate yourself. The food and drinks that they serve are also great and I really appreciated that they had non-alcoholic options since I don't drink myself. They make a custom menu for your event and there are little details like putting a custom sign or having a projector so you can have a slideshow or video playing in the background as well. I really recommend this spot for hosting any type of event.

If you’re looking for a wedding venue that’s both unique and unforgettable, TALEA Brewery is an absolute gem. The atmosphere is warm, modern, and full of character, making it the perfect place to celebrate love with friends and family. The brewery’s charm brings a fun yet elevated vibe that you just can’t find anywhere else. It truly is love on tap! :) We had the pleasure of working with the amazing TALEA team through our Photo Booth services, and they were an absolute dream to collaborate with. Attentive, supportive, and genuinely excited to make each event shine—their passion shows in every detail. Whether it’s the stunning space, the craft beer that guests rave about, or the thoughtful care of the staff, TALEA Brewery makes weddings feel both personal and extraordinary. Highly recommend this venue for couples who want something fresh, unique, and full of heart.

We hosted a wedding welcome event at Talea and it was absolutely wonderful. I would definitely recommend. Bonnie was fantastic coordinating all the details leading up to the event, and Manny and the staff took amazing care of us on the day! We did an open bar for our guests and Talea was very well-staffed. No one waited more than 30 seconds to be served. Everyone was exceptionally friendly and nice. Food was excellent as well! Great experience all around, thanks Talea!

So happy that I finally got to check this place out. The beer selection is amazing. The have some good snacks and platters on the menu. The space is big and airy and there is plenty of outdoor seating also. They have a section of coffee and merchandise. It also appears that they have various activities during the week. The service is good and the prices are decent. They also have Cocktails made with beer and non-alcoholic drinks plus they have soft drinks. The music is a nice variety from The Beatles to Al Greene and some Jazz. It's nice background music at the perfect volume. I'll have to go back and try some of their other beers and some of the platters.

This place is excellent! Super good service paired with excellent beer that is flavoursome and well priced with most beers around the $11 mark. Most people were in working and having a coffee which made it nice and busy with a good atmosphere even earlier in the day. If you like a craft beer you must stop by.

A decent little draught cocktail bar with an interesting menu. Lots of classic, everything is vegan-friendly on the drinks list (aqua faba is used in place of egg whites). The drinks were good and the staff was friendly. Slightly higher priced given the drinks are draught, but the vibe of this bar is really fun and inviting, very different.

Love this dimly lit rustic cocktail bar that serve drinks in chemical lab glassware. It can be a romantic date night drink spot or just after dinner place to relax with friends. All cocktails, beers and wines are on tap - you will not see shelves of liquors as you would in a typical bar. They offer $6 Cocktail happy hour 5-7pm every day. Skip the city buzz and experience this neighborhood gem!

One of the best experience in a cocktail bar in NY. The draft cocktails are excellent and the quality is recognizable. Sincerely i loved the draft idea and the design of the glasses. The service is really accurate. Mark is a great bartender, very professional and kind. I'll come again for sure!

Great experience all the time. Great spot for a date. I recommend going on weekdays for happy hour. A lot of difference selection of cocktails and they are on draft. We even came to support during the lockdown as the tasty cocktails were to go! They take a lot of pride in the atmosphere of the bar. The interior is clean and cozy, but very small. The yard is opening up again, that’s gonna be great for the summer . I like the laboratory theme and how the drinks are served in beakers. They have an amazing margarita and they also have a secret menu that can be unlocked following the instructions on the menu. Once you complete the task, a black light will be handed to you by the bartender to reveal even more delicious cocktails! I just wish they had a little more room towards the bar.

Pros: tasty drinks, quick service, friendly bartender, nice backyard space with seating and string lights. Such a horrible experience at the door. The bouncer pretended not to see me when I walked up. Then I said “hi.” And he motioned for me to get away from the rope. I had friends already inside, including that night’s DJ. He never let me in, and acted like I was lying about my friends. I get ads for this place a lot. Judging by the reviews, maybe they should consider having a more reasonable door experience 🤷‍♀️

I totally get it and I get the negative reviews. My wife and I were celebrating our anniversary, we’re Black so we stood out amongst the other patrons in line. The bouncer immediately spotted us and called us to the front. He asked if we were on the list and we stated no, that we were just trying to have a date night and have fun. He let us in right away. We proceeded to have a great night with music and awesome cocktails. I understand I reviews here but my wife and I experienced no racism. Best of luck to you if you can get in!

0 stars if possible. Got our $30 drinks and sat down at a table. About ten minutes into our drinks, a hostess comes over and says she needs to seat the table - our table - that we were sitting at. Ummm… what? There was no Reserved sign on the table. We mentioned that, and she said she ran out of signs. Even though other empty tables still had them. Going to make sure everyone knows this is the worst bar in NYC - hands down. I would mention the nice decor or other positive things, but they aren’t worth mentioning.

We decided to visit Paul’s on a random Tuesday night. We are all well-versed and well known within the NYC nightlife scene/sector, hence the reason we even decided to come to this place (one of my co-workers is friends with a server there.) My initial impression was not really a good one, as the Trinidadian guy working the door had a stiff/unwelcoming demeanor for seemingly no reason. My coworkers have been there before but it was my first time. One of my coworkers mentioned having a friend who is working tonight (mind you, we got there relatively early around 11:30/12am) and he immediately brushed off the conversation, saying she wasn’t there (even though she was, she was just on break). Then, he begun to question the authenticity of another one of my coworker’s ethnicity/background because he is half-Trinidadian. It was honestly very uncomfortable to watch a grown man approach customers in this matter but whatever? I guess? He finally let us in after my friend literally had to prove that we were invited there by an employee. When we get inside, the space is actually very beautiful, dimly lit with a modern-art-deco kind of appeal. However, for the way we were treated at the door, I was very surprised how empty the room was. The rest of the visit was good. We had great service from Kiara and appreciated her attentiveness! I didn’t really know what to expect as far as ambiance and music was concerned and it definitely wasn’t my favorite- mostly like 70/80’s vibes with a little top 40/current music mixed in.

We came as a group of 8 with a reservation. The atmosphere was amazing, the view was stunning, the food was delicious, and the drinks were great — everything was just perfect. The service was also outstanding. Our server, Marto, took great care of us. He had such positive energy and gave excellent recommendations. There’s a $125 per person minimum for table seating. I was super disappointed in this lounge. The prices are outrageous. One drink is $30!!!! For espresso martini. That I couldn’t even drink half of it , it was that bad . A glass of wine also $30!!! What is that!!! And on top of that they included 20% tip in the bill. And we were not aware of the mandatory tip, so we paid with card and gave tip $10 cash. And the bartender didn’t even say anything, didn’t say that the tip was included, and just took cash. Lame - double tip. Horrible customer service For what???? They didn’t serve my drink to a table or my seat. There was no mixing whatsoever. Why do I pay $12 on top . What THE HELL!!!! Not going back and not recommending this place at all

The Dead Rabbit in New York City is a two-story establishment that combines a lunch taproom with a parlor serving small plates and vintage cocktails. It's an iconic Irish bar with a New York twist, located in a five-story, 19th-century townhouse. The ground level Taproom focuses on properly poured pints, Irish coffee, and various whiskeys, while the upstairs Parlor offers a wider range of flavors and live blues performances.
My husband and I had an incredible time at The Dead Rabbit! It was a highlight of our bar crawl, and we were completely blown away by the unique experience. The place has a fantastic energy, and we loved that each floor offered a different vibe. The cocktails were the star of the show. I had a special drink where the bartender spritzed a perfume on my hand to enhance the aroma as I sipped—a truly unforgettable sensory experience! The food was delicious, too; we especially enjoyed the deviled eggs. With amazing drinks, tasty bites, and a super cool atmosphere, The Dead Rabbit is a must-visit. We'll definitely be back!

Drank at the tap room. I remember a time when the tap room only had beer. I am so pleased to know they have cocktails and food available now. This place has always been impeccable. I’ve been here a handful of times and never left disappointed. I can’t remember the names of the drinks but they had a cocktail that had Guinness and it really was a standout, as well as the Irish coffee Alexander, and I don’t even like coffee 🤣. Don’t sleep on the Scotch eggs either. Best ones I’ve had! This one really upsets me that we don’t have something similar in Vegas. I mean we have bars but this one just has something about it 😁

The Irish coffee is a must-try, you won’t be disappointed. The Old Fashioned was good, though a bit on the sweeter side for my taste. The fried chicken was just okay, nothing particularly special. The tiramisu was one of the best I’ve had. We sat in the Parlour, which had great vibes and good service, making for a pleasant overall experience. We did not have a reservation for parlor, but still managed to get a table on a Sunday.

Great Irish vibe, definitely reminiscent of being in Ireland. The service was great, everyone was very friendly. The Irish coffee was sublime and the Guinness pour and temperature was spot on, honestly can’t think of a better Guinness I’ve had outside of Ireland. I grabbed the short rib sliders to snack on and they were very flavorful and fork tender. They also have a phenomenal Irish whisky selection.

Great place with an excellent atmosphere. Unfortunately, we had a bad experience with the billing as we were double charged. Being charged an extra $500 is a significant amount for us, and it caused quite a hassle as we had to deal with the bank to cancel the duplicate charge. Despite the great ambiance, this billing issue greatly impacted our overall experience.

Had an amazing experience at the tap room - drinks were very adventurous and the fried chicken hits right home. Midnight pearl and mango soba were definitely my favorites. Ambiance was great and staff were really helpful and friendly. We had a slight emergency situation but gladly the manager Vladi was able to come in and take care of it right on. Would definitely come back for more.

Bar
Jimmy's Corner is a narrow, old-school bar located in the heart of Times Square. Despite being surrounded by tourist attractions, it remains free from the typical tourist crowd. The walls are covered with boxing memorabilia, creating an authentic and characterful atmosphere. This dive bar has retained its charm since opening in 1971 and offers cheap drinks. It is a relic from the pre-Disney-fied era of Times Square and provides a glimpse into the area's history before its transformation.
What a bar! Especially if you’re a boxing fan! Incredibly cheap or, I should say, reasonably priced as it should be in the heart of Manhattan. A Pint for a 5$. I can’t wait to visit that place again in the future! It’s right at the top of my list. Thank you!
Nemanja M — Google review
We stopped by Jimmy’s Corner around 9:30 PM while walking through Midtown Manhattan — and the place was already buzzing with energy. If you’re looking for a classic, no-frills New York bar experience, this is definitely the kind of spot you’ll want to check out — with a few things to keep in mind. 😉 When we arrived, the bar was pretty full, but we managed to grab two seats right at the bar, near the bartender. We ordered a round of beers, and service was quick 🍺✅ The atmosphere? Loud, lively, and a little chaotic — in a good way. People were talking, laughing, drinking, and enjoying the vibe. There was even live music, which added a fun touch and made the place feel very alive 🎶🗣️ 💭 The interior definitely feels stuck in time — and that’s part of its charm, depending on your taste. The decor is old-school, the lighting is dim, and everything has that been-here-forever feel. If you’re into modern, sleek bars, this might not be your scene. But if you’re down for a bit of gritty NYC character — this bar leans into it unapologetically. 🚻 Small note: There’s only one restroom stall for everyone. It’s tiny, and for such a packed place, it felt like not nearly enough. But hey — it’s a small, narrow bar, and space is clearly limited. In short: ✨ A great place for a quick drink and soaking up some vintage New York bar vibes ⚠️ Don’t expect anything fancy — this place is all about the feel, not the finishes 💡 Probably not ideal if you’re looking for a quiet conversation — this one’s all about noise, nostalgia, and night-out energy ⭐️ Overall, I’d give it a solid 3.5 out of 5. It delivers on the atmosphere it promises — just know what you’re walking into. 👉 RECOMMEND 🍻 (Personally mine)

Jimmy’s Corner is the real deal — a true Times Square dive bar. It’s small, unpolished, and full of character. Had an awesome time chatting with an Irish carpenter over a couple of pints (only $5 each — absolute steal for Times Square!). The bar seating makes it easy to strike up conversations with actual people, not just tourists. Loved the vibe, will definitely be back. On go there if you like Dive bars !
Pankaj S — Google review
Jimmy’s Corner is a rare find in the heart of Times Square—a genuine dive bar that offers a nostalgic step back in time. Opened in 1971 by boxing trainer Jimmy Glenn, the bar is adorned with boxing memorabilia, including framed photos and autographed gloves, reflecting Glenn’s illustrious career. Atmosphere: The ambiance is cozy and unpretentious, with a narrow layout that adds to its charm. The walls are lined with vintage photos and boxing paraphernalia, creating a unique and authentic environment. Service: The staff is friendly and efficient, ensuring patrons feel welcome. Despite the bar’s popularity, service remains attentive, contributing to a positive experience. Drinks: Jimmy’s Corner is known for its affordable drinks, offering some of the cheapest options in the city. Whether you’re in the mood for a classic beer or a simple mixed drink, the bar provides quality beverages without the inflated prices typical of the area. Overall: For those seeking an authentic dive bar experience in Times Square, Jimmy’s Corner is a must-visit. Its rich history, welcoming atmosphere, and budget-friendly drinks make it a standout choice for both locals and visitors.

Avoid This Place - Rude Staff and Terrible Drinks I don't usually write negative reviews, but my experience at Jimmy's Corner was so bad I feel compelled to warn others. We stopped in for a quick drink and were served by the blonde bartender. The service was appalling from the start. When I simply ordered a margarita, she looked at me with utter contempt and acted as though she had never heard of the drink before. She was extremely rude and condescending, making me feel like an idiot for ordering something that wasn't a can of beer. When the drinks finally arrived (after much eye-rolling), they were horrendous. I'm not even sure what was in them, but it was undrinkable. We left them nearly full on the bar. To top it all off, the entire bar has a pervasive, foul odor that can only be described as smelling like poop. It's a combination of a dirty bathroom and a broken drain. Save your time and money. There are a thousand better bars in the city. We will never be back.

My sisters and I had a few drinks here yesterday. Bartender was very nice, drinks great, prices exceptional. It was unusually quiet which we didnt mind...all seats taken but not too much talking. We had a great time and will definitely be back!
Jenn R — Google review
First thing I noticed was that the place smelled so bad and hot but I was willing to dismiss it since we went there to have a good time. It was my last chance to hang out with my best friend before I move to a different city. The service was horrendous the server was extremely rude and passive aggressive. I forgot to tip her for a second while I was paying in cash and she yelled at us for that. I also got confused with my order since I couldn't think of the word for the drink I wanted to order and said different things and she was so sarcastic for my mistake and she made fun of my action to the customers next to us. I was sitting right behind her I could obviously hear her. She is such a hateful person and a bully and she ruined my last night with my friend. We are probably half your age please act like a grown up. Yea so if you want a cheap drink while sitting in a damp hot urine smelling pit with horrendous service go for it

This is the quintessential dive bar of NYC it was very lively the three nights I went there it is RIDICULOUSLY narrow but the atmosphere is electric the beer is good quality fair and the service is very good. I was entranced by the ‘tab system’ they have both funny and interesting Would be great if they could knock through a wall then it would be four stars Loved Jimmy’s for its fun free and quirky character 😺👍

Bemelmans Bar, located in the Carlyle Hotel, is a sophisticated and upscale piano bar adorned with famous murals by Ludwig Bemelmans. The legendary destination on the Upper East Side is named after the creator of the Madeline children's books. Since its reopening in 2021, it has been consistently busy, attracting both locals and tourists. Despite being a hotel bar, Bemelmans exudes character and classy vibes, offering a glimpse into Old New York.
Best Martini I’ve had in New York. There was a bit of a line to get in on a Saturday afternoon, but I think the experience matched the expectation. We were seated at the bar which was great for having a couple drinks and some snacks and enjoying conversation. The lounge area was lively, yet still felt really intimate. I had definitely been wanting to try this place for a while, given its reputation as classic upper east side haunt, and it lived up. It was a great stop on our afternoon exploring Central Park and the met.
Christopher B — Google review
We wanted to go to this bar for years. Once we finally did - it was a major disappointment! The ambiance was very nice, but nothing else beyond it. The snacks were terrible - nuts were stale and moldy, the chips tasteless. Martinis (what the bar is famous for) were strong (so they are definitely not holding back on alcohol), but it was the warmest martini I have had in Manhattan, which is definitely not the standard you expect. Oysters were fresh, but not particularly tasty, and the shrimp cocktail was underwhelming, especially for the price they charge for 4 pieces of shrimp. Would not recommend or go back.
Nataliya P — Google review
How to get in: if you go closer to opening you will have a higher chance to get a table but usual bar seating goes fast. I always have a wonderful time here, they have great drinks. And very good bar snacks as well. You can see the original works for “Madeline” on the walls. It’s an NYC classic
Neha L — Google review
Stopped at Bemelmans Bar after the Met. Dress code enforced, no shorts, no flip flops, collared shirt after 5:30 p.m. Nearly turned away, managed to slip in. Ordered a martini listed around $30, but with tax and tip the tab reached $50. Pricey, yes, but here it feels like the cost of admission to a piece of living history. Live piano in the corner, golden light on the leather banquettes, and walls covered with whimsical murals by Ludwig Bemelmans, creator of Madeline. He painted them in exchange for eighteen months of room and board at The Carlyle. This bar is the only public place where his art still lives. The whole scene feels like stepping into Old New York, glamorous and timeless. Five stars for history and vibe, not for value.
Trang N — Google review
On my bucket list as a life long NYer. We went on a random Sunday after after a museum. Had a lovely chat with an Australian at the bar. Loved the murals and the atmosphere. It's pricey so be aware!
MOira D — Google review
This place deserves six stars. Bemelmans Bar is the epitome of classic New York elegance—white-jacketed bartenders, warm and intimate lighting, and a post-5:30 dress code that elevates the whole experience. The drinks? Spectacular. Genuinely some of the best we’ve had in the city, which was a very welcome surprise given how many places overpromise and underdeliver. The Corner Booth cocktail is a must—think Manhattan, but smoother, more complex, and full of unexpected flavor with none of the usual harsh bite. The Gramble was another standout—a bright, gin-forward cocktail with just the right citrusy edge to help you unwind from the energy of the city. Yes, it’s pricey. But every detail—from the service to the setting—screams old-school Fifth Avenue charm. Worth every penny. Don’t miss it.
John A — Google review
Absolutely worth a visit. We went around 4:30 on a Saturday and the line was just getting long but we only had to wait about 20 minutes. Service was great, atmosphere also great. We came specifically for the Martini. There were a few to choose from and we went with the Vesper. Loved how it was served with a sidecar on ice. No olives but maybe a Vesper doesn’t traditionally come with one. The snack mix on the table was also tasty and there were a few different options to choose from which was nice. Only complaint is our martinis weren’t ice cold. Just used to that being prioritized at other places, we were a little surprised they were served almost room temperature. Could be on purpose. Either way.

There is always a table available for hotel guests in this bar. The cocktails and snacks are very exquisite, the service is exceptional, the music is magnificent, and the wall paintings are a delight.

Got to try both the Alchemist Dark and Light side by side — absolute treat. Beautifully balanced beers in one of the best-designed bar spaces I’ve seen. This is one of my favorite bars in Greenpoint. Insane tap list. Such a cool vibe inside. Can sometimes be a bit too crowded, since the inside is a tad small, but on off-hours there is tons of space. Great place in downtown Brooklyn. Easy access via public transportation. It’s better to take public transportation if you don’t live in the area. Lots and lots of great little places to eat. Cool spot in downtown Brooklyn. It's a large mall with a food court downstairs. Met some friends visiting from Detroit there. We had drinks at Somethin Else bar and they allowed us to bring our dinner from Seafood Soul and eat it there. The vibe was chill and the bar had a DJ playing old school R&B. We definitely will go back there.

This is such a cute spot that you can grab a bite. There’s a movie theater on the very top level of the mall and so there’s options for dining. They have so many things to do here. Little Branch is a cozy underground den known for its extensive menu of handcrafted cocktails. Tucked away behind an unassuming door in the Village, this snug space exudes a speakeasy vibe with its discreet entrance and strict adherence to social etiquette. Once inside, guests can expect to be greeted by a jazz trio and bartenders clad in suspenders serving up classic concoctions.
There was a woman bartender last night. She was absolutely awesome and made the place memorable. She customized me drinks with egg white and my friend customized drinks with whisky.
Depa S — Google review
The atmosphere and environment was nice. I liked the cocktail. Just don't choose it if you are going on a date with yourself. 💔 I went shortly after the opening that day and there was only one other table occupied. Despite this, I sat on the bar stool. They didn't want me to sit at the table…
Betul K — Google review
First of all, THE 5 STARS FOR SERVICE ARE ONLY FOR KSENIJA! She stepped in to take such good and efficient care of my friend and I after we were repeatedly skipped over, ignored, and condescended to by the bearded bartender with a manbun. Just go bald with dignity, my man. I’ve been visiting Little Branch since at least 2010, and I’m sad to say that it’s no longer the vibrant, cozy, innovative cocktail bar it once was. It used to be that no one was admitted entry unless there was an available seat/table or unimpeded bar or counter space for the entire party, but now it appears to operate as a free-for-all for obnoxious 20-somethings with no spatial awareness or bar etiquette. While Ksenija made my friend and I some beautiful cocktails to order, the current bar program is a sad, derivative amalgamation of whatever “classic cocktails” can be passed off using the lowest quality liquors available. The house cocktails are just not good: what happened to the beautiful selection of Haitian rums for sipping, or the excellent liqueurs and shrubs that once built up such exciting new cocktails? This Little Branch is a depressingly grubby shell of its former self, and I won’t be returning. Thank you so much, Ksenija, for trying your best to recreate the Little Branch that once was, even while the bar was slammed and you appeared to be the only one responding to the absurd volume of patrons with any kind of urgency! Oh, and let me note: the door person seated a party of 5 or 6 behind us first, and never even offered us the chance to wait for a table. I guess Black and brown folks aren’t allowed the option to enjoy their cocktails while seated? Who knows!
Sophia A — Google review
Speakeasy-like bar with super knowledgeable bartenders. It’s dark and downstairs, so it feels like a secret location. Nice selection of cocktails, but what really stands out is their ability to find your perfect cocktail - after a couple of questions I was given a drink with flavors I love that was strong but not overpowering, and quite well balanced.
Devon B — Google review
Came here around 9:30pm on a Friday and was able to get in without a wait. They have a downstairs area, which is louder and more busy and a street level speak easy type of bar that is more intimate and quieter. We were able to get a table at the street level bar and were very happy with the service. If you are looking for non-alcoholic options, they have multiple fresh juices available.
Martina R — Google review
Read a decade old reddit AMA by the owner of this place and found it when I visited Manhattan. Amazing place. Love the speakeasy. Drinks are fantastic and delicious. Music is not too loud. The space gets a bit loud as people get drunk but then the more alcohol drowns it all out. Kudos to this place.
Soubhagya B — Google review
LB might be one of the best speakeasy’s in the city. It’s the last thing you’d expect when looking at the entrance, but you are blown away once you walk down to the basement. It’s super cozy and intimate. Perfect for a date or a few cocktails with friends. My girlfriend and I took her parents here when they were in town and they loved it. There’s live music during the week and a lot more space than I expected. The cocktails were incredible!
Taylor S — Google review
We were able to walk in a few minutes after 6pm on a Friday, and were surprised to find the place empty (perhaps since it was a beautiful evening, and sitting underground in the dark wasn't as appealing at that hour). We were given a booth adjacent to the bar, and selected from a menu of both cocktail classics and unique house twists on several common drinks. We enjoyed both the Bee's Knees and Sea Way No. 2. The front area of the was set up for a jazz band later that night, which would be fun to go back and experience. Overall, a cool speakeasy setting with good drinks and ambiance.

The Four Horsemen is a trendy wine bar and restaurant in Brooklyn, co-owned by James Murphy of LCD Soundsystem. Since its opening in 2015, it has become a favorite spot for natural-wine enthusiasts. The bar offers a laidback yet elegant atmosphere with a diverse selection of 250 natural and biodynamic wines. Guests can enjoy small plates created by an experienced chef while listening to a genre-blurring soundtrack curated by the former LCD Soundsystem frontman.
One of my favorite meals in NYC this year. Every dish was a dream. We ordered the oeuf, green tomatoes, fennel salad, tartare, mushroom toast and rainbow trout. Latter two were our favorites. The passion fruit tart dessert was magical. The best part? The wildly inventive wine list that paired perfectly with every bite. Service was great and homey, intimate setting was wonderful. Expensive but worth it for a special occasion.
Jack B — Google review
This restaurant is overrated, and I honestly don’t understand how it has held a Michelin star for several years. It’s definitely not worth the price. The portions are tiny, the flavors were either far too salty or overly acidic. Despite spending over $200 for just five dishes for 3 people , none of us left feeling satisfied. On top of that, getting a reservation here is unnecessarily difficult. For the same price, we had a much better experience at Theodora, which doesn’t even have a Michelin star but served food that was both delicious and filling. Save your time and money—skip this place and go somewhere else.
Sally N — Google review
I enjoyed Four Horsemen, but it didn't blow my mind for the price. If I went again, I'd stick to the small plates so I could try more things. The chicken was good, but not great and it was huge. Their menu changes on a regular basis, so you can't be sure what you're going to get. Nothing I had was bad. Wagyu crostini and harimasa (not pictured) were my favorites. I arrived at 10:45am, and waited for them to open at 11. A line formed quickly, and it's a slow process for them to seat everyone in their tiny space. If you can't get a reservation, show up as early as you can.
Meredith O — Google review
This spot delivers thoughtful cooking with moments of brilliance, even if consistency is not perfect. The bread is excellent, and the crudo was bright and well executed. The oeuf mayonnaise with squid ink and caviar felt disjointed rather than inventive. The fennel salad refreshed the palate nicely. The little gem salad lacked creativity. The beet dish stood out, made richer and more layered by brown butter. Meat courses were handled with care. The tartare had bold yet balanced flavor. The sirloin came perfectly cooked with a flavorful sauce, though the anchovy butter felt unnecessary. Seafood ranged from forgettable to impressive. The halibut did not stand out, while the Boston mackerel was full of character with a great fry. The uni risotto was the most refined dish of the night. The mushroom crostini had depth, although the bread was too firm. Desserts were excellent. Worth a visit, especially for those who like to explore a variety of plates.

Michelin star wine bar? Yes pls! But people come here for the food. Impossible to snag a resy but worth waiting for a walk in spot at lunch or before dinner service. Vibe cozy and cute. Food was amazing! Small menu but basically every dish was a hit. Also the wine selection was well curated. Verdict: recommend and will return!!
Patrick K — Google review
The Four Horsemen - finally 😊 My husband and I have been devoted LCD Soundsystem fans for years, so the fact that James Murphy co-founded this place has always made it feel like a small dream waiting to happen. We’d been postponing it for weeks, as life has a way of reshuffling plans, but this time my husband said, 'This is your birthday and that’s it. We’re going.' I agreed ;) The restaurant itself is small, understated, and effortlessly elegant. The interior has that kind of simple chic that feels authentic: warm wood, soft light, no pretense. We didn’t have a reservation but decided to take a chance, and after waiting about thirty minutes, we got a table right after 5:20 pm The menu is tiny, almost minimalist, but every dish feels deeply considered. We weren’t too hungry, so we ordered a few small plates and a bottle of wine, saving room for dessert and hoping for a candle later. And the food… oh, the food. I’m not sure words can do it justice. Every bite was a perfect balance of acid, sweetness, and texture. I’m from wine and vinegar country, so I truly appreciate the taste of acidity and here, I finally found a place in New York that speaks to my palate. Their flavors don’t fade the moment you swallow; they linger, evolve, and make you think. I couldn’t help but notice almost everyone around us was ordering their famous warm bread, it looked absolutely divine. But since I bake my own bread at home and had already had a fresh loaf that morning, we decided to skip it this time. Still, it clearly seemed to be the must of the evening, and I’ll definitely try it on our next visit. The wine list is impressive. We chose a French white that was absolutely balanced, bright, and beautifully alive (and no headache after!). And the desserts… I’m still dreaming about the passionfruit cake, so light, tangy, and joyful. I was especially happy that nobody from the staff sang 'Happy Birthday.' ❤️ As for the staff, 'perfect' doesn’t even begin to describe their service. They have that rare ability to make you feel both taken care of and completely at ease. The atmosphere, the music, the people, the vibe: 10 out of 10, or maybe 100 out of 100. To Be Continued :))

Interestingly enough, my personal favorites were the smaller dishes rather than the larger ones. Notably, the oeuf mayonnaise and the warm house bread (the butter especially) were great. Otherwise, everything else was fine although nothing too particularly memorable. The staff is very attentive and helpful. The vibes are lively but also serene, which I like.

Not a single miss. Everything was standout, flavors are thought provoking. For 2 people we shared the mushroom toast, fennel salad, bread, hiramasa, pork collar, and halibut. Toffee pudding for dessert. Portions are smaller but with this order we left full. Service was excellent especially for recommending wine.

The Commodore is a low-key saloon that offers Southern dishes like fried chicken and biscuits. The place has a vintage feel with 1980s television playing in the corner, hipster grime on the floors, and cheap beer. It's popular among twentysomethings who pack into the low-slung booths early in the evening. The bar's high leather chairs are perfect for enjoying amaretto-topped Pina Coladas and indulging in plates of fried chicken.
Came in on a Sunday night, place was full and lively. Bartender Wes, couldn’t have been nicer and went out of his way to make us feel at home. We were just visiting for a possible move to the area. Place has a “cheers” vibe where everyone knows each other. Cocktails are top quality to where you would pay $25 for half the price.

I went late one Sunday night and not only were they open but the kitchen was too! (I believe the kitchen closes at 1am but make sure first). I ordered a Planters punch which tastes like hurricanes from Louisiana; plus a hot fish sandwich with small fries. The fish piece was big in size and fresh off the stove, you can still see the steam. Not spicy for me but others at the table agreed it was a slow heat. Thankfully there was hot sauce for me to use. The small fries are seasoned well with a mix of crunchy bits and a decent size to share between two people. The customer service was cordial and friendly.

I just don’t understand. Like how or why is it possible that this place has the most incredible chicken sandwich Ive ever tried in my life. Cheese sauce is heaven’s magma . I started at the fish tank during all my sandwich consumption. Very interesting and fantastic experience. I hope that whoever is reading this review enjoys this place as much as i did.

Came here in the afternoon just as the kitchen was closing. Debated for a bit and ultimately decided to stay because I’ll not be denied of my chicken sandwich lol. Started off with the Orange Julio, as if it’s the grownup Orange Julius. Two sips in and immediate brain freeze. The vibe is a bit chaotic but the bartenders did a great job making sure everyone is well-hydrated with drinks. Shortly before 5pm, my bartender gave me the food menu as if she could read my mind. I got the mild breast sandwich and a small side of fries. The sandwich came out piping hot and prolly the juiciest chicken breast I’ve ever eaten. Could it be a wet brine process..? However, the chicken was a tad too salty for my taste. Still, I inhaled the sandwich. The fries were okay..? Nothing special but an adequate companion to my sandwich. All in all, I was a very happy camper. I love the Commodore and I’ll be back for sure!

Relaxed atmosphere of a dive bar with killer food. First note: they have the worst Diet Coke I have ever had in my entire life. Completely flat and tastes like it came out of a dirty gun. HOWEVER every time I come here I get the chicken platter, Mac and cheese, and a tuna melt. The chicken is succulent with a beautiful breading and is piping hot every time. It is served with a sweet honey butter that goes beautifully with the biscuits as well. The biscuits are good but not mind blowing, they are small and served 3 per order. The Mac and cheese can be dry depending on the batch but this most recent visit was perfectly creamy but still firm enough to slice. It is a baked style. The tuna melt is one of my favorites in the city. It has a massive amount of tuna inside but feels lighter than others I have had. It almost takes like the tuna is whipped. I can’t figure out what they do to the tuna but it’s great. The best part about this place is that the kitchen is open late. We actually came this time because the restaurant we were trying to go to had closed their kitchen early. It’s really great having this option in the area.

I got dinner here last night with my favorite food creator and big bro, Rob Martinez. I'd never been to the Commodore, but when he suggested it, I accepted without a blink. A Rob recommendation is literal pixie dust. I entered 8 minutes before our scheduled time because my pops always told me "if you're on time, you're late." I entered and saw a 6'2 burly figure with a worn in nike hat and legendary beard sipping on a Negroni, and realized Rob beat me here. Damn... Negroni on a Monday is so beast though. We got a little booth in the corner, and I decided to hop on the Negroni train. I normally don't drink during the week, but sometimes the Negroni gods just force your hand. My nickname in college was actually "Post Negrone." Rob informed me that the hot chicken sandwich ($19) was the move, which checked out with my research from before dinner. I never really stop and smell the roses, as comfort is the enemy of progress, but sitting in this dimly lit dive bar sipping negronis with one of the best food creators on the internet, and someone I really look up to, forced me to have a moment of appreciation. Between bites of one of the best crispy chicken sandwiches I have ever had in my life, we were talking about writing, editing, our favorite restaurants, youtube thumbnails, algorithms, favorite authors, upcoming shoot schedules, and lofty long term goals that really had me pinching myself. Like damn I'm really doing this, you know? I felt like I was living someone else's life, not mine. I didn't even really know this was possible. We deleted these chicken sandwiches, chips and queso, and 2 rounds of negronis as the table next to us turned 2 different times. What a night, provided by an iconic ambiance, sensational chicken sandwiches, and my old friend, the negroni. IG @johnny.novo Tiktok @jnov__ Substack @johnnynovo

The fried chicken and a biscuit were fantastic! Definitely planning on coming back in for that! Atmosphere was pretty solid, it got really busy in the couple of hours we were there. A little frat boy/ broh'y.

Bar
Located in the Gowanus section of Brooklyn, The Bell House is a former warehouse transformed into a vibrant bar and performance venue. With its vintage wallpaper, old wood beams, and a striking chandelier centerpiece, this quintessentially Brooklyn spot hosts an array of entertainment events but is particularly renowned for its comedy shows. From improv to audience participation and semi-scripted performances, the calendar is filled with hilarious options.
This was one hell of a way to spend an Easter. More appropriate way to spend a 4/20 though. I had been a fan of kaiju big battle during my high school years and forgot about it. Until a random email from stub hub jogged an old memory of foam on foam wrestling. The bell house itself was very well suited for the venue. They have a bar area out in the front when you enter. Then a decent sized event space in the back for the show. It was pretty much only standing room but easy to maneuver for a good view and far from cramped. This was theater of the absurd at its finest. The edibles hit right when they needed to and honestly couldn't imagine a more entertaining night.

I came here recently for a taxidermy exposition and I had the best time! The staff, particularly Phillip, was so nice and helpful. He even put me in VIP because he liked my outfit! 10/10 will come again.

Saw a comedy show here. Great venue. Good ventilation and layout. They could have had a few more seats for a comedy show. Standing room to watch comedy was a bit brutal, especially considering the ticket prices.

Rustic. Don't expect modern. But this place has character and is a fun venue. Came here for a comedy show and it was a great small, intimate setting. Lots of personality in this old girl. Expect typical high city prices for drinks though.

Great venue! I’ve loved seeing comedy and music acts here for years. Wonderful staff. Shout out to Phillip, Tamika, and Serge on the security staff— they are incredibly efficient and kind individuals.

Phillip, the security guard, was top tier! He took care of me and my best friend, & even laughed at me asking for his social security number 😂😂 he was very attentive & gentle! Honestly it was our first time at Bell House & he made it so welcoming that we can’t wait to come back. The bartender, Wyatt, was super sweet & our drinks were tasty. Steven was walking the crowd and taking orders, he was also very helpful & friendly. Oscar, from the front bar, was super fun & engaging. We came for the dysfunctional friends tour & although the show was great, the staff at the venue made it even better. I can’t wait to come back!

My friends and I had just got off a bus from Boston for a show and were running late, so what was left was standing room only. We were resigned to it but Philip saved our feet and hooked us up with some seats. I’ve been to the Bell House a few times before and my experience there gets better every time! Shoutout to all the security and staff (especially Philip), y’all make it a great place to come to.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I had such a great time at The Bell House! From the moment I walked in, the staff treated me so well. Philip, the security guard, went above and beyond—he helped me pick the best seats, let me save one for my friend, and even made sure people stepped aside so I didn’t have to worry about a thing. Super kind and professional. At the bar, everyone was just as amazing. I wasn’t sure about the difference between a lager and an IPA, and they happily let me sample both before choosing. The staff at the bar and snack bar were friendly, helpful, and even respectfully complimented my outfit—which honestly made my night. Also, bottomless popcorn. Yes, bottomless popcorn. I went to see A Drinking Game and it was hilarious—great improv, really funny performances, and just an all-around fantastic vibe. 10/10 experience. Highly recommend!

Restaurant
Magic Hour Rooftop Bar & Lounge is a rooftop cocktail bar located at the Moxy Times Square in New York City. It features an amusement park theme with attractions such as a mini-golf course and rotating carousel-style seating. The bar offers a unique experience with its topiary garden and nightly DJs, all while providing stunning views of the Empire State Building. This year, Magic Hour has introduced the Pink Rose Garden, adorned with over 10,000 roses and pink porch swings.
Magic Hour Rooftop is truly one of a kind! Such a beautiful spot with a stunning carousel decorated with flowers – it feels absolutely magical. The drinks are just wow, and I definitely recommend trying the cocktail bouquet, especially the biggest one – it’s an experience in itself. The food is very good, though the portions are on the smaller side, which is fine for this type of place. What I really love is how the vibe changes depending on where you sit: on one side it feels more like a lively lunch party with a DJ, and on the other side it’s romantic with a more intimate atmosphere. The DJ playing during my last visit was fantastic and really added to the night (@djkizzy) I’ve been here several times already, and everyone I’ve ever brought absolutely loved it. I’ll definitely keep coming back – highly recommend!

ONLY good for aesthetics. We had a terrible experience with this brunch. First of all, we called to ask if my friend could bring her daughter and were told YES, but then they refused to allow them in. However, I was already inside, and there were two little girls there. The terrace was extremely hot, no fans in the summer heat. The waiter got our order wrong, even though she wrote it down? And then we had a long wait because the kitchen was closed. The spritz bouquet is $75 for flat lukewarm seltzers. The menu says chicken Caesar salad, but I was charged $12 exra for like 3oz of chicken! Just not worth it overall, all flash no substance. Would only recommend for a drink and cute pics.

Came here for brunch on a Saturday and not too busy. The vibes are on point, beautiful atmosphere. Great for photo ops so make sure to dress cute. Floral scenery, mini moving carousel for siting and taking pictures. The chicken parm sliders were good but extremely small. The egg sandwich is good, did think it has a little too much small but still good and hash browns are extremely crispy. Waiter did forget my water after telling her 4 times but that’s ok. The pina colada drink was good but tasted more on the lemon side. Did sit on a high seat which was kinda uncomfortable. If I had a normal sitting table maybe my experience would be much better. Made a reservation on open table. Cool open rooftop area. Overall was a good brunch day for pictures. This is somewhere I came once and I’m good so won’t be coming back. Go for the vibes and the atmosphere. One and done experience.
Alisha B — Google review
The place is stunning — the food and atmosphere are truly five-star quality, and it’s clear that most of the staff work hard to make guests feel welcome. However, our experience at the bar didn’t match the same level of care. The bartender seemed distracted and lacked the empathy and attention one expects in such a highly rated venue. I came here with my wife to enjoy what’s known as one of the best rooftop spots in the city, and it’s a shame that one person’s attitude can affect an otherwise wonderful experience. This place has everything to be perfect if all staff shared the same level of professionalism as the rest of the team.

3.5 / 5.0 - Magic Hour Rooftop is conveniently located near Penn Station, on the 18F of Moxy NYC Times Square. The ambiance is great, with seasonal decorations and nice views of the Empire State Building and surrounds. Until Sep, they have a lovely Full Bloom display on the west terrace. The staff at reception were welcoming and helpful, too. However, our server was inattentive and too busy enjoying chatting with other staff to serve us. Both ordering and getting food and drinks took time. We’d made reservations and were seated at a table, but had to walk up to the bar to get utensils and ask other staff for the check. It’s such a cute spot it’s too bad the service level is so poor.

Magic Hour is located inside Moxy NYC Times Square. We went during their full bloom limited time installation on Aug 31st. It was wonderful. They had all sorts of flowers installed on the walk, the sides and also have a turntable with chairs and different colored flowers installed. Starting with the drinks, we ordered 3 cocktail bouquet (limited time full bloom menu) and it was okay. The cocktails were creative but it tasted very sweet. They also have limited vegetarian menu. The food was mid and bland. The rooftop is nice. Without the full bloom display i am not sure how it would be. But i have seen other pictures where they also have stairs with flowers and a nice view of Empire State Building. It's on the other side of the building. We would come again if they have that on display. Its worth one time visit.

Mr. Purple is a very nice and spacious rooftop restaurant and bar. I love the fact that they have a pool which was nice. My friend and I enjoyed ourselves at an event we attended here. I would definitely come back again.

This was our second visit to this property, both times at sunset, this time as hotel guests. The view is breathtaking, making it an ideal spot for sunset cocktails. However, regarding the food and cocktails, both are of low quality and do not meet our expectations. We had the worst Aperol Spritz we have had. Bartenders had no clue. Additionally, the bartender was arguing with a client over a card and tried to involve me in the discussion, which was very rude and inappropriate. We had one drink, enjoyed the fantastic view, and left. Many rooftop options, avoid this one.

I had an absolutely incredible time at this bar. The vibe is spot-on, and the view of the city is simply breathtaking. I like that there are windows all around so you can enjoy the view even from inside sitting at the bar. The sound system was great, and the music perfectly matched my mood. Lovely spot. I recommend making a reservation in advance. I don’t normally recommend pasta dishes but they were really delicious with good textured noodles and bright sauces. The drinks were also good. I’m glad I tried one of the ‘fluffy cocktails’ but probably would get another cocktail in the future. The burger was good but not one of the strongest items on the menu.

Dante is a beautiful Italian restaurant with truly well-crafted dishes — definitely a spot worth trying. Even on a weekday evening, it was quite noisy inside, which made it a bit hard to have a relaxed conversation. A quick tip: instead of their famous martinis, I’d recommend trying one of their spritzes — they were more refreshing

I recommend making a reservation, if dining with a party of 3 or more. Eloy our bartender gave excellent service, and was so helpful and knowledgeable on the menu.

We recently visited Dante in NYC and had an amazing time. We absolutely loved the cocktails we tried—especially the Fluffy Margarita and the Classic Negroni, both perfectly balanced and full of flavor. Their signature bread and butter and the burgers were also outstanding, far better than we expected for a place known primarily for drinks. The atmosphere was warm and lively, and the staff were genuinely friendly, which made the whole experience even better. We’re already thinking about going back in the spring to enjoy their outdoor seating, but honestly, we’d return anytime just for those cocktails alone. Highly recommended!

We went in with 7 people, that's a little big for this bar. There were no seats and it is pretty loud. But, the bar ambience is very cool and definitely a place worth going. You do need to do some research on where this located. The bouncers were sitting outside so it wasn't hard to find but if they weren't there you need to know what the door looks like to enter. The concept of the place is spot on. The decoration, the uniforms, the menu all in theme. Been here twice hoping things would improve, but it’s still the same. Great venue, nice ambiance with amazing bands, but the bartender is a disaster—an overgrown, tattooed tough guy wannabe. Rude, entitled, and quick to scare off customers. Tips are appreciated, not a ransom especially for tourists who may not know local customs. Refusing to serve people isn’t just unprofessional, it's pathetic.

Walked here from LES with my sister who used to live here and go to Union Pool back in the day. We came for a quick drink and to use the photo booth which was awesome. Love the atmosphere of the bar, reminds me of back in the day in the early 2000s lol

Cool hipstery Williamsburg beer garden vibe with lots of space, a taco truck, and a music venue/club area. Supposedly the building used to be a pool supply store, which is reflected in the theming.

Such great fun! We went to see The Reverend and it did not disappoint. The concert venue is fantastic and the outdoor area is great for conversation. Didn't eat so I wouldn't know about the food. Would give it 5 stars except that I heard a bartender say to a group of tourists "if you don't tip we'll stop serving you". Ouch. Never heard of a place that demands tips and refuses service if they don't get it.

This place is a health and safety hazard. glass and metal all over the floor which ended up getting stuck in my foot. Staff is unhelpful the bartender spent 20 minutes looking for a bandaid and I ended up receiving emergency care because of the dirty wound. Not only were the staff unhelpful and rude, one of the male bartender was clearly drunk and useless when I asked for first aid. There is also no accountability as they blocked me on social media and removed anything to do with this incident. Besides the fundamental safety issues with this place, it’s a mediocre bar overall with little to no diversity and extremely drunk individuals

A very expansive place. They have the main bar area, with a photo booth, pinball machine, and a good amount of seating. I also saw a DJ. There is then an outdoor garden area with another bar, taco truck and tons of seating and aesthetic ambiance. Then there is the music venue, for the night I went tickets to the show were $20. Overall, good experience, reasonably priced drinks compared to the location.

Cocktail bar
Bar
Attaboy is a trendy craft cocktail speakeasy located behind an inconspicuous metal door on the Lower East Side's Eldridge Street. The bar has an industrial-style space and doesn't have a menu, relying on its talented mixologists to create innovative and classic cocktails tailored to each guest's preferences. To secure a seat, it's best to arrive early as Attaboy doesn't take reservations.
We love Attaboy! We'd been here once before and decided to bring my boyfriend's mom. This place does not take reservations and we knew that, so we showed up outside the almost hidden entrance door an hour before opening. Unfortunately, it started pouring down rain 15 minutes before Attaboy opened their door. The staff knew the rain was coming and offered the first few of us umbrellas which was wonderful. However, the umbrellas didn't do anybody any good because it rained so hard. The bar next to Attaboy let us in there to wait until Attaboy opened. I think that bar was called Good Guys and it was a cool place too! All the staff was wonderful at both places. We were worried about who Attaboy was going to let in since we weren't in line anymore, but all the guests waiting in line were accommodating and honest to who was where in line so we got in when they opened. There is no cocktail menu - you tell the bartenders what you like or are in the mood for and they make you a drink! Every drink we've had here was unique and fit to our liking. Your table time is 90 minutes but it's a good amount of time. We love it here!

It was my first time visiting a speakeasy, and Attaboy gave me a pretty great experience. Although we had to wait nearly two hours since they don’t take reservations, it was worth it. The experience is fun and unique — there’s no menu, so you can describe your drink using any words, and the bartender always surprises you with something amazing. There’s no dress code. Each drink we ordered this time was $23. No food is served here, so make sure to eat before you come!

No wait on a Tuesday around 6:30pm. They did well in marching their drinks to the what we were looking for in the descriptions we have them. At the end of the day, the quality of drinks were consistent with other cocktail bars of this caliber, but it’s a must-go as a NYC landmark cocktail bar. Two rounds for two people ended up around $100 total before tip. Service was friendly too!

Easily one of the best cocktail bars I’ve ever been to. There’s no menu, you just tell the bartender what you like and he’ll prepare a custom drink for you. I asked for an Amaretto Sour (which I’m actually really good at making myself) and his version was incredibly good. Lemons were fresh-squeezed and it was perfectly balanced. The person I was with doesn’t drink alcohol so the bartender whipped up a mocktail with ginger and cucumber that was equally amazing. You can tell they actually care about craft and flavor here. Overall the vibe is super lowkey and kind of underground. There was no sign out front. As we were looking for it I saw an old “alterations” sign and a couple stickers on the door that say “please wait to be greeted.” As we walked in, it was dimly lit, cozy, and everyone who works there is chill and down to earth. The whole experience just feels effortless and intentional.
Gus — Google review
Very cool experience and loved the concept of the bartender creating drink based on your preference of spirit and favorite cocktail (I asked for a tequila based drink that was mix of moscow mule and margarita: they created a masterpiece). Drinks were 25$ each and well worth the price. Service was great and ambiance was charming. Great place for birthday drinks !!
Amandip K — Google review
Truly excellent craft cocktails! There’s no menu, so we ordered by describing broadly what types of drinks we like (as well as ordering specific drinks). Every cocktail was amazing - very creative, and it takes a good bartender to make a drink that’s a little bit different than what I described and still somehow exactly what I like. We arrived around 5:20 on a Saturday, and waited around 30mins to get a table - we waited at the place next door (the host took our number so didn’t need to wait outside) and that spot was really cool as well. This was actually our second attempt to visit Attaboy - last time was much later on a Saturday night (maybe around 10-11pm) and at the time the line went all the way down to the street so we didn’t stick around. So I would definitely recommend visiting earlier if possible, as they don’t take reservations.
Millie M — Google review
$30 (with tip) for a Gin & Tonic is absurd!! I wish they made us familiar with the made to order/crafting cocktails concept - we would’ve ordered something unique! We asked the bartender if they had a menu and he said no so we just thought “oh let’s just get G&T” but if they familiarised us with their concept of personalising drinks, we would’ve had a better experience and wouldn’t have minded paying $30 each!

This speakeasy in the LES is a great spot for a chat with a friend or a date night. The inside of the bar is cozy, intimate, and space might be a bit tight for a large group. Service is attentive and kind here. Cocktails are amazing.

Event venue
Nowadays is a trendy taproom and dance club situated on the border of Bushwick and Ridgewood. The 5,000 square foot venue offers a unique escape with its stylish design, delicious food and drinks, top-notch sound system, and diverse entertainment options including cultural performances, games, sunset movie screenings, and late-night DJ sets. It's also an ideal spot for outdoor dining with its spacious garden area that can accommodate large groups.
Wow, so fun. Went for the first time for an all-nighter and had an amazing experience. It reminded me of places I've been to in Europe. My rating is about the overall experience, but a large part of this rating is because of the staff. While waiting in line there was a guy behind me who was very drunk and he was saying slurs and verbally abusing (who I think) was his girlfriend. One of the bouncer's caught wind of this and told this guy that he and his friend's couldn't go in. He then started yelling racist language at the bouncer and was trying to provoke him into a fight. The bouncer was so level headed and got him out of there. After seeing all that happen, I knew Nowadays was a space space. Nowadays cares about the safety and comfort of their guests, and that's what makes it so good! Some other things I loved: the beautiful (and huge) outdoor space, the no-phones on the dance floor rule, the friendly people. Will definitely be back. Thank you Nowadays staff ❤️
S L — Google review
Fun venue. Regularly has 12-hour plus events with DJs. Lots of my favorite DJs from Europe end up playing here. Great sound system, and unique atmosphere. Almost feels like a music festival inside. There’s a fairly strict no phone policy, which helps add to the energy of the dance floor. Lots of drink options at the bar. Tons of places to sit down and relax, or even meditate.
MELVV — Google review
We ended up here after a show at Silo so we probably got there at like 2 am, it was the perfect place to go after hours. I'm sure it's great earlier in the night as well. My friend took us here and it couldn't have been more perfect. I love the little speech the give in the front entrance before letting you in, it made me feel safe. Idk if they had food but they have tons of snacks and delicious drinks, they even had coconut water for me because I needed to hydrate. It was such a good experience. The outdoor area is huge and now that I'm remembering I think they had food out there. They had tons of tables and beautiful lighting, they even had fall decorations out there. It was so cozy. I really appreciated that they had bathrooms outside. Then we went indoors to dance and it was such a cool dance floor with plants everywhere and cool lighting on the ceiling. I didn't want to leave! I was wishing they had heat lamps outside (maybe they do). All in all, it was perfect and I'd highly recommend checking it out.

always a blast been coming here since they opened. like all dance clubs they’ve been impeded by frat bros and tim tok girls who come to look at instagram posts but they enforce the rules about no phones on the dance floor well.

Kool place recommend getting tickets before going. dance floor, bar, outdoor area separated. Plenty of seating out side it was cold when i went and they had a few bonfires going. Loved the tacos here🤤
Melissa R — Google review
Horrible, pretentious people at the door that will not let you in unless you know exactly which DJs are playing at that exact moment, regardless if you came to see a different artist. This establishment is the antithesis of what the New York music scene is about - discovering new, unknown artists at fun venues with your friends. I was in a group of 6 people and Nowadays bouncers cost every DJ there the opportunity to gain more fans tonight. Absolute disgrace of a music venue.
Lynda Q — Google review
A major disappointment. I had heard good things about Nowadays and I was excited to go, but I don’t think I’ll go back. I attended the Mister Sunday event with my friends. At Nowadays, I saw at least 5 children and infants. I am not sure why they were there and how the venue allowed parents to bring their kids to a clubbing venue. One kid tried to take my alcohol drink. Honestly a vibe kill. Music was bad. Bathroom was dirty and disgusting. Overall, wouldn’t recommend.
Szu-Min Y — Google review
I don't think the ratings here are accurate. It's one of the worst places I've ever been to. The staff is incredibly rude. I saw it on the New York recommended places forum and went. I realized the person who recommended it was an employee there when I saw it there. You might have chosen this shoddy, staff-heavy establishment because you wanted to have fun and spend quality time with your friends. My only wish for you is that you have a better experience than I did.

Alligator Lounge is a no-frills bar that offers budget drinks along with free pizza, karaoke, pool, and Skee-Ball. On Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, the back room transforms into a lively karaoke scene where patrons fueled by affordable drinks and complimentary personal pizzas take to the stage to belt out emo and pop-punk hits from the late 1990s and early 2000s.
Chill and casual bar with a fun vibe! With any drink purchase of $6 or more, you get a free personal pizza—such a cool deal. The pizza guy was super kind and friendly. Great spot to hang out without breaking the bank
Maria V — Google review
This bar, without a doubt, has one of the most interesting gimmicks we’ve ever seen, but we’ll get into that in a minute. Alligator Lounge is a popular bar located in Williamsburg that gives off a strong college/recent grad energy. It is very packed and seating is at a premium. Beware navigating this bar can be tricky as a lot of people clog up the walkways so grip your drinks extra hard. They have skee ball and pool and the interior is decorated nicely, one of the better looking bars we’ve seen on our trip. They have a great selection of drinks and specials so it’s easy to find something that you and others will want to drink. And their gimmick? If you buy a drink you get a free personal pizza, we kid you not. You get a voucher when purchasing a drink and take that to the guys in the back and they make it there for you. You can pay a dollar extra and add on toppings but that’s a Costco-esque deal right there. To keep it short, this place reeks of fun and it’s easy to see why it was a go to spot for what felt like the entire neighborhood on that night out.

Great atmosphere with a dive bar vibe. Obviously, the free pizza tickets are a great plus. Their drinks are very well priced and they run beer and shot combos which is always a great treat. There is karaoke in the bar as well!

I was recommended this place from a stranger. Came straight here after a super long shift. Just wanted some food and a good drink. My bartender was so nice my drink was good. I'm waiting for pizza and the person making it sees me standing there and doesn't say anything so i'm thinking in line. after waiting 10 minutes he decided to let me know i have to wait on line and where i was standing wasn't the line. i basically finished my drink at that point and i didn't even want the food or another drink. COMPLETLY RUINED MY EXPERIENCE. i will NOT be coming back here

Overall rating: 4.8 1 drink: $18.88 w/ tip I came here on a whim after going to a very pretentious bar & a terrible date. So happy I stumbled here because it was exactly what I needed. I came late and just came for cocktail & it was really dark. The service was friendly and I enjoyed the vibe of the place. I don’t have many pictures but will definitely be putting this place on favorites if I’m in the area again. I also love how dimly lit it is! Highly recommend.

Came here for a birthday party and the atmosphere of the bar is great but the drinks are laughably weak. I wouldn’t be upset about it if the cocktails didn’t cost almost $20. I was there with 30+ people and multiple at the birthday at some point commented about how weak even the speciality cocktails were. Really liked the way the place looked but it made me feel stupid to spend $60 on 3 cocktails that tasted like flavored ice. Ended up getting a beer at the end so i could drink something that wasn’t watered down. Super disappointing.

One of the best cocktail bars in Williamsburg! If you go on a weeknight, it’s usually quiet and a great spot for a date (lovely interior and a dimly lit room with candles on each table downstairs). Aldo Sohm Wine Bar is a stylish and relaxed wine bar in New York City, founded by the master sommelier of Le Bernardin. The bar offers a variety of wines, including affordable options like Lambrusco and Cinsault, as well as special reserve wines served via Coravin. It's an ideal place for a quick yet delicious prix fixe lunch, making it perfect for business meetings or casual gatherings.
Highly recommend a reservation here if you’re a wine lover. The list is small but has some really great wines featured. I was between two different styles of wine and the server recommended one that blended the two types perfectly — her other recommendations really made the stop a highlight for us! Ambiance is moody yet fresh and modern. I felt like there was a good mix of ages enjoying drinks and company. Must get some snacks too! The chips are made in house!

I came to the bar with without a reservation and they were kind enough to accommodate us. I asked for a Cremant d’ Alsace it was open for more than a few days there was a punch in the mid palate. Sparkling water was $7 buck with no label on it not sure if this is from a machine it didn’t taste like a recently opened bottle. Trust my palate I am a sommelier. My advice is skip this go to Boucherie Wine bar.

We enjoyed having a few glasses of wine here! Was pretty great to see Aldo Sohm walking around - starstruck 🤩 Space is pretty chill - not too loud which is truly appreciated. Food is ok. Yes, would recommend 🍷
Elle K — Google review
I discovered the Aldo Sohm wine bar through the recommendation of my online friends who live in New York. Since then, it’s become my “regular haunt” - combination of a peaceful atmosphere, incredible wine menu and a break away from the Manhattan Chaos work perfectly for me. But there is one really big strength to the bar - the Sommeliers who work there. It’s clear that wine is their passion and Aldo has trained them wonderfully - knowledgable, friendly, welcoming and always willing to talk about wine. On day 1, I was made to feel exceptionally welcome straight away by a very friendly and knowledgeable Sommelier, who introduced herself as Carla - who went to great lengths to ensure I was choosing wines that I would find interesting and different. As time has gone by, I’ve got to know all of the team very well. They are hardworking, their enthusiasm and knowledge shines through. And that’s what makes those bar stand out above the rest for me - the staff. Plenty of interesting and different wines populate the menu, and the staff will gladly help navigate you through the menu based on your tastes and preferences for styles of wine. The food is also excellent too. Thoroughly recommended - especially if you’re a “wine geek” like I am or just fancy trying something different. You’ll be made to feel very welcome…

I went with a group of 5 people and basically tried the entire menu and was surprised how good the food was (Uli’s rice is a must-have!). Considering the area (West Village) the menu is fairly priced and the concept of it being worker-owned makes your dollar go a longer way. Kicked out over a pool whiteboard. Let that sink in. This bar used to be great back when Charlie and Connie ran it-chill atmosphere, good people, and a local bar where you could enjoy a game of pool. That’s clearly no longer the case. I stopped in for the first time in a while and was hit with tense, aggressive energy around the pool table. It was my turn to play, and suddenly people were coming at me from all directions in the middle of the game, demanding to know where my name was on the whiteboard. One guy wouldn’t let it go and insisted I erase my name off the board and the names above mine, so I did to stop the chaos. Next thing I know, the owner demands to know who erased the names. I explained what happened - calmly, no attitude. His response, “You need to leave now. I'm kicking you out". I was so taken aback and asked if he was serious? He said, "you’re causing a scene, people are mad about the whiteboard, you don't erase the names. I tried to explain it to him again and he just said, you need to leave now.” Over a whiteboard misunderstanding. No interest in what actually happened, just immediate overreaction. I didn't argue, just grabbed my bag and walked out, confused and quite frankly embarrassed. Only after my friend stepped in did the owner try to walk it back with a weak “sorry for coming in hot.” Too late. You don’t get to throw someone out in front of a crowd and then casually reverse it once you realize you overreacted. I’ve spent years supporting this bar. Apparently none of that matters. If you’re into weird ego trips and whiteboard drama, maybe this place still works for you. I’m done.

great bar and great vibes, but for me the bartenders are the best in the city. never have a bad time here, helps that the pool table is v nice also

My favorite place to be on a Wednesday. Pamela and Rio are my favorite bartenders of any place I frequent. Always a good time AND of course the music is always fantastic :) the pool table is also one of the best with a great crowd any day of the week

One star. I used to love this place when it was owned by the original couple — they built a warm, welcoming dive-bar atmosphere. Since the new ownership, the vibe has completely shifted, and not for the better. My best friend was kicked out for no good reason. In the middle of her game, some random guy instructed her to erase her name and the two names ahead of her, which she did. Instead of clarifying what actually happened, the manager unfairly blamed her and threw her out — a completely unnecessary overreaction that showed poor judgment. Separately, one of the girls waiting to play mistook my friend for me (we’re both Asian). That kind of mix-up isn’t just frustrating, it’s racially insensitive and highlights the unwelcoming crowd this place now attracts. Between the manager’s mishandling of the situation and the increasingly cliquey, insensitive atmosphere, this bar has lost what made it special. What used to be a neighborhood gem now feels overrun and mismanaged, and it’s no longer a place I can recommend.

When I tried to get a drink at the bar, the bartender (tallish thin presumably white women) immediately asked for my ID very aggressively, and before I could even take it out she told me I had to leave. I am in fact 21, but she was so unbelievably drunk and slurring her words that I guess she was confused cause she refused to even look at my ID. For more context, I have a regular horizontal non expired new jersey license and I don’t even look young for my age. I came into the bar perfectly sober and able to pay so there was no reason for me to be denied service. This situation was extremely unprofessional, and it was so clear how drunk off her ass this bartender was that it honestly made me uncomfortable that she’d be serving me drinks anyway.

I’ve never felt more comfortable being myself. It only took 5 minutes, and three shots, to think about how mal-equipped Better Help is to address my needs compared to treating that grandma couch as a chaise lounge. If there was ever a nurse who graced the cover of a blink 182 album, surely, they would be named either Rio or Tay.

Nestled in the basement of the Dream Downtown Hotel, The Electric Room is a trendy bar that promises an unforgettable night out. As you descend into this London punk-inspired haven, you'll be greeted by an eclectic mix of velvet and leather seating adorned with British flag pillows, Gothic chandeliers illuminating the space, and a lively retro rock soundtrack setting the mood. The atmosphere is electric yet surprisingly laid-back, making it easy to mingle with fellow party-goers on the bustling dance floor.
Wonderful ambiance! Great Djs... It's definitely a great spot to check in the city a hidden Gem on the block

Awesome late night spot that stays open until 5am. Amazing music and staff was incredible taking care of us for my friends birthday! Super cool club design inside

We randomly poped in here and had the most fun time! It’s like a cool underground club, you walk down a graffiti filled ramp to get inside. We were the only people there because we came early like 9:30 or 10 so we didn’t pay a cover, it got lit and the dj played some awesome mixes. Edm to some old school hop hop mixes. The drinks were strong and ambience was cool it’s a small place but really fun!

I came here with the promoter, the place is pretty small but it's kind of a cute hang out. I came here on a Wednesday night and the DJs set was okay, he kept playing a lot of old 80's music and not a lot of people were dancing. I would like to come back here again on a different night to see how it is. The bathrooms are very beautiful though if that counts for anything ha

Small little hole in the wall. Great place to take pics for the gram. Beware of the heavy handed bar tenders I swear I ordered a margarita but it tasted like jet fuel. One drink and I was gone.

Overrated and get you for your money. Not only did they kick me and my party out a whole HOUR before closing, hands were placed on my friends so they could "move" and get off the couches and dance floor. No no, we paid a nice $400+ just to get in and enjoy. Even if we the only ones there, 6+people, we spent barley any time at all not even being able to finish our tab. Worse part the manager, Dave, gave me his card for the "inconvenience" and has ignored my messages for the "friendly return" he promised my friends and I after security was rude just cause they wanted to go home. If I paid, I'm allowed the right to stay especially if they had NO REASON for closing earlier than time said and there was no prior explaining of closing early. Plus, paying for coat check, they really just want your money at the end of the day. Go somewhere else not in the area. Maybe TAO if you're down for the wait :) the one star is because I had an AMAZING bar tender for the most part. We couldn't finish our TAB like said, but the male bartender made the night great for the most part. I would give zero if it wasn't for him

Came here with my gf and another couple after a dinner nearby. That was before the lockdown. Pretty cool place, a little bit crazy. We had a reservation and we’ve been seated on a cool couch with British flag pillows . The other couple had an anniversary and they met here some years ago, and they have the tradition to come back every year. I really liked how the place was lighted – the purple (obviously a signature color for the place) was like whispering – come and dance. It was a House party night and all four of us are huge fans. The other girl and my girlfriend hit the dance floor while the boys enjoyed their drinks. She ordered us some special cocktails, that can be found only here and they turned out to be a blast. I forgot their name but I’ll ask next time. Like I said – we went to the dance floor just after we arrived and dance until the place closed. Even we joined them at one point. The service was excellent. They were quick and managed to serve everyone in no time. I see that they have a schedule of events. I want to see the All Evil Saturdays. Hope that I’ll have that chance soon.

It's alright. Coolest part is the entrance that makes you feel like you're going to some sort of underground train station. Inside the energy depends on the DJ. Nice decoration. Drinks about what you expect for a NYC club (overpriced). Not that much space in the floor to feel like you have lots of people to meet, if you are not with a table.
