Takeout Restaurant
Peter Luger Steak House is a renowned cash-only steakhouse located in Brooklyn, known for its old-school charm and top-quality USDA prime beef cuts that are dry-aged in-house. Since opening nearly 40 years ago, it has earned a reputation as one of the best steakhouses in New York. While famous for its porterhouse steaks, the menu also features options like lamb chops, grilled Atlantic salmon, and prime beef rib steaks.
Dining at Peter Luger Steak House in Brooklyn was truly exceptional. The steak was a masterclass in preparation, perfectly seared on the outside and tender within, showcasing the deep, rich flavor that only comes from expertly aged beef. The accompanying salad, though simple in concept, was executed with remarkable precision and freshness, proving that even the most straightforward dishes can be elevated to excellence. The atmosphere carried the weight of tradition, with a timeless New York charm that made the experience feel both iconic and intimate. Service was attentive yet understated, allowing the quality of the food to remain the centerpiece. This was not just a meal but a reminder of why Peter Luger continues to set the standard for steakhouses.

Lunch at Peter Luger in Brooklyn was nothing short of phenomenal. I ordered the steak for one, accompanied by the creamed spinach and the legendary apple pie, and every bite was perfection. The steak was beautifully charred on the outside, tender and flavorful inside, truly the kind of cut that reminds you why this place has been an institution for over a century. The creamed spinach was rich and perfectly balanced, and the apple pie… simply unforgettable! comforting, crisp, and decadent all at once. A special mention must go to Denise, who made the experience exceptional. His warmth, attentiveness, and effortless professionalism elevated the entire meal. He struck that perfect balance between friendly and polished, making me feel genuinely welcomed and cared for.

We shared one steak and also got their sundae which was huge! We got our steak medium and it was pretty good. We made sure to drizzle the meat juices on the meat as well. The server served us each a slice of the steak in the beginning which I thought was pretty cool. It also explained why most of the google review photos didn’t have a fully intact steak lol. The sundae was a must-try for us- they’re known for their whipped cream. However, the ice cream itself didn’t taste like anything special. There was just a LOT of hot fudge and whipped cream. It was good but also got sweet/heavy fast. It could definitely feed four. The server showed us how to eat it which is to stick the entire long spoon into the sundae and pull up lol but it was so big. Surprisingly the milk chocolate coins were really good imo. Oh and I don’t think they take credit card (it’s written on the menu) so make sure you bring a debit card or cash. If you are celebrating a birthday or something, we did see them sing happy birthday to a couple tables.
Vivian N — Google review
The food was absolutely fantastic! The steak was beautifully cooked, tender and juicy with just the right char on the outside. The grilled asparagus was fresh and flavorful, perfectly seasoned to complement the richness of the meat. The thick-cut fries were crisp on the outside and fluffy on the inside, a perfect side dish. Everything came out hot and fresh, and the portions were generous. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, making the whole dining experience even more enjoyable. Definitely a place I’d recommend and would love to come back to! Peter Luger has been there a hundred year for a reason!

My husband and I celebrated our anniversary at Peter Luger Steak House in Williamsburg, and it was incredible! The rustic old-time charm adds such a warm touch. Eric, our server, was amazing, attentive, kind, and even surprised us with an anniversary treat. We had the Steak for Two with baked potato and fries, perfect portions and absolutely delicious. Finished with the chocolate mousse cake and homemade whipped cream, which was the perfect ending. A true New York classic worth every bite! 10/10 recommend and can’t wait to return!

This was a bucket item place for me. I didn’t know if I would ever have a chance to eat here. Reservations were easy through their website but plan ahead the time slots are taken up and it can be difficult to get in here. The staff are very welcoming and knowledgeable about their food. We did arrive about 30 minutes early for our reservation and the staff were gracious enough to fit us in with under a 10 minute wait. We ordered the Sizzling Bacon and tomato and onion appetizer. Both were phenomenal. Side note, the bacon slices are very big. We ordered 1 a piece and that was 1 too many. We started with a Cesar salad that was great. Then for our entree we had steak for two. We have different preferences for our doneness and the restaurant was able to accommodate that without difficulty. For dessert she had the chocolate mousse cake and she was impressed. Peter Leugers is a world class steakhouse and is on many people’s list to try. It’s worth it if you’re given the chance. Very important-they only accept cash or a Peter Leugers card.

Rsvp is highly recommended! We love the service and the atmosphere of the rustic steakhouse. The steakhouse for 2 was perfect for me and my daughter. My husband and son opted for a couple of burgers instead, but they unfortunately wasn't impressed.
Hanna L — Google review
Peter Luger in Brooklyn is definitely worth visiting — the steak was delicious, cooked perfectly, and you can really feel the sense of tradition and history in the place. The old-school vibe adds to the charm and makes the experience memorable. That said, it’s pretty inconvenient that they only accept cash or debit cards. In 2025, that feels a bit outdated. Still, the food and atmosphere make it an iconic spot that’s worth trying at least once

St. Anselm is a cozy brick-walled spot in Williamsburg, known for its specialty in steaks and grilled seafood. While it may not be as famous as some other steakhouses in the area, it offers a humble and intimate dining experience loved by the neighborhood. The menu features new takes on comfort food with dishes like Ax Handle Rib Eye, New York Strip au poivre, Sweet Tea Brined Bobo Chicken, and Bourbon Brined Pork Porterhouse.
Wow, where do I even begin? We came here based on a recommendation from a travel blogger whose previous tips never disappointed us — and this time, she absolutely nailed it. The steak was as tender as a cloud, cooked perfectly medium just as we asked. You could really taste the quality of the meat, it was so flavorful that it didn’t need anything beyond salt and pepper. We didn’t even touch the butter they placed on top because it was already so delicious. For starters, we ordered the sardines dish, and it was absolutely delicious, a real winner. The other appetizers I saw on nearby tables also looked amazing. As a side dish, we ordered the mashed potatoes, they were really tasty, with a unique seasoning that I think included garlic and parsley. It was something special and very flavorful. The service was excellent — the waitstaff were kind, friendly, and attentive. Bottom line: if you’re a fan of high-quality steaks, I highly recommend coming here. Yes, the bill wasn’t cheap, but it was worth every dollar. We had gone to another steakhouse earlier on the trip that was maybe less expensive, but we left completely disappointed — both with the food and the service. That meal felt like a waste of money.

This place deserves all the praise. I love a good grill spot and everything off the grill here is pure bliss. Loved the clams and prawn, and the ax handle steak is in a category of its own. Chicken is phenomenal and reminds me that you should never rule it out. Desserts are decent but more to round off the meal. Great wine list to pair with everything too.

Delicious steaks. Had the hanger and the tomahawk with various sides. Meat on point, not overly salty, perfectly cooked. Sides delicious, no real misses for me at all. Very relaxed atmosphere and casual. Service anything but casual, very attentive staff and accommodating.
Glen — Google review
Great steak for a reasonable price. We had the butcher cut and Denver. A little too heavy handed on the salt, but the meat had a nice crust. We also had the tartare, mashed potatoes and spinach. All were delish. Highly recommend. We sat in the backyard which may be more preferable than the inside.
Fayanne B — Google review
Great cozy space with amazing steak all priced reasonably! Got the denver and the flatiron, both were delicious. Denver was the fattier option and I preferred that. Spinach gratin and the mash potato on the side also perfectly cooked with perfect flavor. Was a pleasant experience and will definitely return. Loved it.
Audrey J — Google review
My fav New York steakhouse that does not try to put on the plates anything but delicious food. The steaks are amazing. Not many places serve hanger and they perfect it here: so succulent and flavorful. Ask for the pepper relish to pair with steak: just divine. Save some rooms for desserts as well.
Minh N — Google review
The butcher steak can’t be beat. Although it has steadily increased in price over the years, it’s still affordable. The tomahawk rib eye steak requires friends to share but also delicious. Don’t skip the Fingerling potatoes.
Godwin L — Google review
Quality local Williamsburg steakhouse with cozy yet vibrant atmosphere. Ordered similar steaks because we were curious about the different cuts of meat. The hanger steak was excellent, a little more gamy than the flatiron steak, but still very juicy with flavor and cooked perfectly. We wanted the steak to be warm so to reduce that risk we ordered both steaks medium. They were cooked perfectly medium to medium-rare with plenty of pink and were nice and warm just the way we wanted. My fiancée ordered a California Zinfandel which paired nicely. They have a nice wine selection by the glass or bottle, including some draft wines. The sides we chose were perfect--pan fried mashed potatoes and grilled shishito peppers. The mashed was a tad bit salty but had excellent texture. The space is narrow, yet cozy with nice woodwork around the bar and on the ceiling--felt like I was in a cabin. A little on the louder side in the narrow restaurant but nbd, the table behind us was having a good time so nice atmosphere overall.

Steak house
Keens Steakhouse, a classic Midtown establishment, has been serving up enormous steaks and signature mutton chops since 1885. The clubby, wood-paneled rooms exude history and charm, with the ceiling beams adorned with old tobacco pipes once belonging to icons like Theodore Roosevelt and Buffalo Bill Cody. This legendary NYC steakhouse was even recognized by the James Beard Foundation in 2013 with an Americas Classics Award.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Keen’s Steakhouse, and it absolutely lived up to its legendary reputation — especially when it came to their famous mutton chop. The chop was cooked to perfection — beautifully seared on the outside, juicy and tender on the inside. The seasoning was spot-on: rich, savory, and expertly balanced to highlight the deep, hearty flavor of the meat. It’s a cut that commands attention, and Keen’s delivers it with confidence and tradition. Service was excellent — attentive without being overbearing. The staff clearly know the menu and the restaurant’s storied history, and it adds to the charm of the whole experience. What really sets Keen’s apart, though, is the atmosphere. The dining rooms are steeped in history, with thousands of antique clay pipes hanging from the ceiling — each one telling a story. You can’t help but pause when you spot the most famous names, like Babe Ruth and Teddy Roosevelt. It’s like dining in a museum of New York’s past. In all, if you’re a fan of classic steakhouses and want a bite of history, Keen’s mutton chop is a must-try. It’s an iconic dish in an iconic setting — and one I’d happily return for.
Kevin D — Google review
Keens is 110% worth the hype. The ambience is top notch where you can hear others you are with. It’s very elegant inside. The staff was very attentive to our table and we had an amazing waitress! I never got her name but she made our night one to remember! All cuts of meat were phenomenal, the mutton, t bone, prime rib, all amazing. I thought the prime rib was very standout and a must have. For appetizers, the calamari salad and bacon were perfect starters. Bacon is a must-buy! Overall, it’s definitely worth it. I recommend doing a Resy Notify and hope to score a good time. Otherwise, you will have to book far out. Regardless it’s super worth it!
Pat Z — Google review
Amazing experience with fantastic meat! The deco was very distinctive and interesting and felt very historic Ordered sirloin, lamb chops and the famous mutton. Food was exceptional and cooked well. There was a slight mix up but changed immediately and staff very attentive and friendly. Had a football top on as was out all day and watched Arsenal game and even met a fellow fan in the form of the waiter lol Was really good experience and slightly pricey but worth it and one of the only places on visit where we were happy to pay a little more for tips Remember to reserve too as get booked up
Nick W — Google review
Was recommended by a local NY friend to try Keens steakhouse, we ordered a starter the fillet bacons with Caesar salad , lobster bisque, as for main the T-bone steak, Fillet mignon & two sides. We tried the house red and keens’ lemonade and ginger ale. We enjoyed the food and drinks. The quality of food was excellent and it’s not pricy at all.

I had a wonderful dinner at Keen Steakhouse. From the moment we walked in, we were impressed by the cool atmosphere and the exceptionally friendly staff. The service was top-notch—attentive without being overbearing. For the main course, I ordered the filet mignon, which was absolutely divine and so tender it practically melted in my mouth. Don't skip dessert! The New York cheesecake was a highlight, rich and creamy, and a fantastic way to finish the evening.
Raksina W — Google review
Wonderful food, service and ambiance. We came for a birthday celebration and the staff made it so special. Made the reservation a month in advance for prime time Saturday night. We loved the prime rib, fabulous! They came and sang happy birthday with a slice of cheesecake that made it so special. The room itself is really cool to see the pipes on the ceiling. It’s a huge restaurant with lots of rooms. Definitely recommend for a special occasion!
Amelia T — Google review
Came here on a referral from a top Long Island steakhouse owner. The host greeted us warmly and accommodated our request to sit a half hour sooner than our reservation. Great table in the back in the pipe room. History of the place adds to the ambience. Lively atmosphere but not loud. Brenna and her team gave us great service and helped us celebrate my son's birthday. The filet mignon was cooked to order and tender. Same with porter house. Portions were generous. The Caesar salad was just okay. Same with the broccoli/cauliflower. Carrot cake is outstanding! Prices are on par with good steak houses.
Pam K — Google review
Decided to try their lunch menu. Opted for the bavette steak sandwich. The portion is generous, and the sandwich perfectly delicious, which comes with an option of either salad or fries. The ambiance is intimate with an historical feel. The bar area is also splendid. Do book ahead as it can be crowded for lunch. The staff and waiters are nice which contributes to the good vibes.

Bar
Gallaghers Steakhouse, a legendary establishment in New York City, has a rich history dating back to the Prohibition era when it operated as a speakeasy. Over the years, it evolved into one of the city's best steakhouses and attracted a mix of celebrity clientele. The restaurant is known for its classic cuts such as the New York Strip, porterhouse, ribeye, and bone-in sirloin.
Very good steakhouse with good prices. I highly recommend coming for lunch. First off, lunch set begins at 34 dollars. For appetisers, the caesar salad had a nice tang to it, good and crunchy croutons. The soup was interesting with a hint of shellfish flavour, it’s not for everyone but worth trying. The beef tartare was delicious, it was super tangy and tender. The bread was a nice compliment. The prime rib sandwich was sooo delicious the meat was super tender and flavourful. The fries were super crispy and the jus was a nice sauce for the sandwich The filet mignon was beautifully seared with a crispy crust, whilst maintaining that juicy and flavourful interior. However sadly the sliced one wasn’t as nice, but u get what you pay for honestly speaking. It was more chewy, but potatoes were still decent Dessert was not bad, the key like pie had citrus notes. The sorbet was tangy and I felt like it was really fresh as the raspberry flavour came through. Service was good shoutout to joe and sal they were friendly and engaging. The different servers were also alert and constantly checked on us. Overall a super wonderful steakhouse experience. Highly recommend going for the lunch set, worth every penny.

The classic New York dining experience! From start to finish, everything was remarkable. The creamed spinach was absolutely delicious — a must-try! All the meats were cooked to perfection, bursting with flavor. But what truly made the evening unforgettable was the incredible team of waiters. They were attentive, warm, and even remembered it was my friend’s birthday, surprising us with a charming dessert. Such a thoughtful touch! I can’t wait to go back and explore more of their menu. Highly recommended!

We didn’t make a reservation but they let us have a seat at the bar. Great service. Crab cake was good! Generous portion for the sides. $100-150 if you add a drink. Good experience!
Lynnette T — Google review
Everything was great here - The steak was perfectly cooked, seasoned well, juicy. The mac and cheese, broccoli and mashed potatoes were also very tasty. The service was flawless. Will definitely come back.
Yuval B — Google review
Gallagher's has become one of my favorite New York steakhouses. The ambiance is perfect, the service was excellent, and the food was delicious. The bar is massive and looks like a fun time, so I might come back one day just to sit there.
Alex G — Google review
Gallagher’s is one of the best classic steak houses in NYC and deservedly so. Given Gallagher’s theater district location, the restaurant could easily coast, but they don’t. The food is better than it needs to be and the service is direct, old school, and a dying art carried out by a seasoned professional staff. I had to shake the waiter’s hand as we left I was so impressed with the service. But back to the main event. The Caesar salad was served table side by the waiter, nice touch. The steaks are visibly aged in house which is frankly a cut above most other steak houses. The rib steak I orders was perfectly cooked and seasoned and was perfectly accompanied by a legendary hash brown and some excellent mashed potatoes. Save room for the desserts. They are all made in house and I can personally confirm the cheesecake, key lime pie, and baked Alaska are all killer. Gallagher’s continues to fire on all cylinders and provides the classic steak house experience in spades.
Greg S — Google review
We stopped in for lunch and tried the three-course menu — everything was outstanding! The service from every staff member was attentive and genuine, and the food did not disappoint. It’s rare these days to find a place where both the quality of the food and the level of service are truly top-notch. We’ll definitely be back and will be recommending it to our friends and family!

Gallaghers Steakhouse, a legendary steakhouse in New York's Broadway Theater District since 1927, is a top-rated New York foodie. So, we made a special trip to lunch there today. Just a few minutes' walk from Times Square, the restaurant exudes an old-school New York vibe. The wooden interior, horseshoe-shaped bar, and vintage photos on the walls create a dramatic "time travel" experience! Sunday greeted us through the vintage revolving door. Her warmth was undeniable. She seated us, explained the menu, played games with the children, and took photos with our family. We ordered a wide selection of lunch items, and every one was delicious and generous. The appetizer bread had a variety of options, all still warm and delicious, soaking up the broth. The roasted broccoli had a rich, Chinese rapeseed aroma that made me suddenly miss Chengdu. [facepalm] Besides the delicious food, the service was truly impressive. Someone was always there to take care of us, and I could tell the staff cared deeply about our dining experience, engaging with us on the dish combinations and flavors. The beautiful Ms. Sunday had a great time chatting with us. We even shared our travels and childhood photos from the past few years. It was a very memorable experience and we had a lot of fun.

Restaurant
Sparks Steak House is a renowned NYC steakhouse that has been serving up top-quality meats, seafood, and salads in a classic club-like setting since 1966. Originally located on East 18th Street, the Cetta family moved to their current spacious location on East 46th Street in 1977. Over the years, Sparks Steak House has garnered numerous accolades and awards for its exceptional dining experience.
Came to Spark’s Steakhouse because of the story of Paul Castellano, but I stayed for the incredible food. The street still has this frozen-in-time vibe, even the restaurant looks like time politely stopped somewhere in the late 80s out of respect. The steak? Yeah, it’s expensive. But it was fantastic: perfectly charred outside, juicy inside. We had hash brown potatoes and mushrooms on the side which tasted great as well. The meat portions are big. We were very full, but the friendly waiter convinced us to order a dessert anyway so we shared a cheesecake which tasted good as well.

Tonight was amazing, a bunch of colleagues/friends went here for a dinner to celebrate the start of a school year. Yes, we are all teachers and wanted a feel of old NYC . From the time we entered until the time we left we were treated with warmth and hospitality. Our server was there to meet our needs and the host who has been working at the restaurant for 44 years provided us with executive level hosting. Our appitizers consisted of bake clams, creamed spinach and an amazing crabmeat dish. As we continued on to our main courses, we all ordered a different cut of steak and from the reactions from four NYC teachers it was beyond standards. All captured by a a cheesecake with vanilla ice cream with fresh fruits and whipped cream. We were then treated to a tour of the restaurant which is part of our overall experience. Just an amazing night with colleagues/ friends in NYC! Give this place a try if you are ever in the area. Oh by the way, their wine selection is beyond exquisite! 👍👍👍👍👍

A traditional steakhouse in NYC. The steak was good, but not the best Ive ever had. Service was excellent, ambience was nice. Was there for a business dinner and everyone had a good time. By the way the hash browns are more like roast potatoes - very nice!

Had to go to this iconic steakhouse because of the history and of course, steak. Not at all disappointed with everything we ordered. We had the steak with the Roquefort cheese, the prime sirloin, tater tots, beef scallopini with mushrooms, and filet mignon. We had accompanying Malbec wines to pair. Everything was great including our server.

We recently dined at Sparks Steak House in NYC and had an incredible experience, thanks to our server, Paco. From the moment we sat down, Paco went above and beyond to make our evening special. He was attentive without being intrusive, knew the menu inside and out, and gave fantastic recommendations for both steaks and wine pairings. What really stood out was his genuine care—he anticipated our needs before we even had to ask, ensured everything was cooked to perfection, and checked in at just the right moments. Paco’s professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail turned a great meal into an unforgettable experience. If you’re dining at Sparks, ask for Paco—you won’t be disappointed!!

We came from Ms, had reservations for 0800 and did not make it there until about ten. Service was top notch even with a medical emergency. We had the best experience ever! My son and I ordered the sirloin steak, it was the best that we have ever had. If ever back in New York we will definitely be back, great experience, great food with an exceptional staff. Thank you so very much, Clay Sizemore

Lovely old-world perfect service and phenomenal food. I had the perfectly-cooked Chilean Sea Bass and my wife had a delicious petite filet that was the size of a softball! Great, timeless NYC steakhouse!

Really cool place. Old school vibe. Landscape paintings line up every well. I mean every wall space! Service was exceptional. Our server Juan thought of everything, including splitting our shared appetizer dish. The dishes were all very good. The filet mignon and sirloin were tender and flavorful! The outside was a bit burned. Old school style … We enjoyed the experience a lot!

Gage & Tollner, a historic restaurant located in Downtown Brooklyn, has recently made a highly anticipated comeback after being closed for 17 years. The restaurant, originally established in 1879, is now under the management of veteran restaurateurs Sohui Kim and Ben Schneider along with St. John Frizell. The interior exudes Gilded Age grandeur and offers an intimate dining experience.
Whoa ! Great quality food and excellent flavors. To start, the rolls, broccoli, and Caesar salad was delicious and well developed. Our table also ordered the hen of the woods and oysters. A few of us split the Porterhouse for Three, which was excellently seasoned. To finish, the comeback special sundae was super amazing. I’m delightfully satisfied. One issue we had was with our steak — we ordered medium rare and it came more on the rare side. This is fine with me because I prefer my steak on the rare side, and the buttery texture and seasoning compensated. That being said, not all at my table preferred this. All and all, I’m excited to eat here again sometime. Super modern and classy atmosphere, as well as great service. Every course was so unique from the last, and deeply satiating.

Scorched Cream crab soup. Waited 20 minutes for it. Think they made it on the fly. Steak was cooked perfectly but was so over salted , it was hard to eat. I love Salt ..this was ridiculous. The offered to make a new one but I was starving not have eaten since breakfast and then not having the soup. They took of 20% of the Price of the beef ...a gesture... Dessert Baked Alaska Meringue was sickly sweet but had a beautiful silky texture.T he Mint was overpowering . Service was very good except one waiter went to clear my plate ,Crossed over way to close to me , ruff table side manners. A Surf n turf was served uncracked lobster w no tools to do so... ridiculous! Don't bother waisting your time , money .

Gage & Tollner is a true gem and a perfect spot for a special date night. This historic Brooklyn steakhouse has been around since 1879, and it’s easy to see why it’s stood the test of time. The food is outstanding—classic surf & turf done right, with incredibly high-quality ingredients. I especially appreciate that their steaks are grass-fed, dry-aged, and many ingredients are sourced from local farms, which really shows in the flavor. The service is warm and attentive, and the old-school atmosphere adds to the charm. It’s definitely on the pricier side, but well worth it for the quality and experience. My only minor complaint is that the tables are a little too close together, which can make it feel a bit tight. That said, we’ll absolutely be back—this place is a Brooklyn classic for a reason.

We chose this local restaurant to celebrate my son’s birthday because steak is his favorite, and we were hoping for something special. Unfortunately, I left regretting the choice. The interior and decor were lovely—elegant and inviting—but the service felt robotic. There was no warm welcome or personable interaction. When you go to a nicer restaurant for a special occasion, you expect a more thoughtful and engaging experience. This felt no different from a run-of-the-mill spot. We ordered the “steak for three,” but the portion felt more like it was for two. On top of that, we asked for medium, but what we got was definitely medium-well. The food wasn’t bad, but nothing stood out, and it certainly didn’t feel worth the price. All in all, I wouldn’t recommend this place for a special occasion. It might be okay for a regular dinner, but if you’re celebrating something meaningful, I’d suggest looking elsewhere.
Cate K — Google review
The steak portions were a bit small, so we ordered an extra serving. However, the meat was flavorful and well-prepared. Our server was cheerful and had a great sense of humor, which made us overlook the portion size. Overall, it was a lovely evening thanks 🎉

Our favorite restaurant in Brooklyn! Great rotation of oysters during their happy hour. We love the friendly bartenders too especially Lucky, Rachel, Ben, and Kern! Aside from the oysters, our other favs include the hen of the woods mushrooms, she-crab soup, parker house rolls, and the shared porterhouse. If you're going for dinner, put your name in for the Sunken Harbor Club for a nightcap upstairs after your meal.
Christopher B — Google review
A very neat place. Very old, ~1900, and full of character. We only tackled the lunch menu, so difficult to anticipate the dinner menu. Our food was good the Biscuit and gravy especially. Dessert choice is a bit limited though. The bar looked very enticing, and would be a great place to spend a mellow evening at. Overall a very excellent place to try if you are in the neighborhood.
Terrence L — Google review
What an amazing meal. We made a last minute decision to swing by here for dinner on Halloween and maybe check out the Sunken Harbor Club upstairs. Our original plan was drinks upstairs followed by dinner downstairs, but that quickly flipped around when we learned that there was a 90 minute wait for the nautical speakeasy. I'm glad our plans changed though as we were already fairly hungry, and after a few drinks upstairs, we wouldn't have savored every bite the way we did by eating first. About once or twice a year, we splurge and try caviar at various restaurants. This was among our absolute favorites. The blinis were soft, tasty and perfect sized. The creme that was served with it made a nice addition, but ultimately it all let the caviar be the star of the show (and it was). If you've never tried caviar before, this is the place to begin your journey. From there we got the she-crab soup and the roasted pumpkin soup along with the house rolls (these rolls are enough reason to come here - holy cow they were so good). Both soups hit the spot and it was tough to pick a favorite. Finally for our entree, we split the Beef Wellington for Two. I might rate this dish a hair below amazing, but still very good. The presentation was beautiful, the steak was cooked perfectly and the sauce hit all the right notes, but I feel like due to its size, the ratio of mushroom and pastry was miniscule compared to the steak. Again, still a very good meal, but might opt to try something else next time we dine here, and trust me, there will be a next time. The staff were outstanding. The crew that greeted us were fantastic in helping us get a table as well as help us organize with the hostess from upstairs to plan an amazing evening. Our server was wonderful and perfectly attentive. She even complemented us on our food choices, remarking that many of these are her favorites. The building itself is absolutely stunning. I had read about how both the interior and exterior are landmarked and I read a brief history of the restaurant on their website. It truly was a wonderful evening and I look forward to our next time dining here.

Hawksmoor NYC is a premium dining destination that brings a taste of East London to the heart of Gramercy Park. Established in 2006 by childhood friends Huw Gott and Will Beckett, this steakhouse made its New York debut in 2021 within the stunning United Charities Building, featuring impressive 30-foot vaulted ceilings and intricate mosaic flooring.
I love Hawksmoor, and the original for me will always be Spitalfields. I've been meaning to try the New York establishment ever since it opened but for one reason or another it didn't happen, until a Sunday afternoon in August 2025! As a Brit, that means a good roast dinner, and the first time I'd had one at a Hawksmoor and it did not disappoint! The beef was perfectly cooked, and tasted amazing! That signature Hawksmoor cooking method and taste! Top marks for seriously good food.
Ryan A — Google review
The decor at Hawksmoor NYC is on point — warm lighting, rich wood accents, and a classy atmosphere at first glance. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives mostly end. The tables are packed so tightly together that it feels cramped, and the noise level is so high you practically have to yell to hold a conversation. The steak was lackluster, with uneven fat distribution and very little marbling. Presentation was also underwhelming. The creamed spinach had an odd rosemary flavor that didn’t really fit, and the mac and cheese was heavy and extremely stringy — some might enjoy that, but it wasn’t for me. The Vietnamese oysters were a bright spot with unique flavors that complemented their brininess nicely. The scallops were over seasoned but still decent. The bone marrow was disappointing — too fatty and buried under caramelized onions, which completely overpowered the marrow flavor. The accompanying toast was burnt and hard. The Old Fashioned was weak on bourbon, and while the lobster tasted good, it was heavily seasoned and overpriced at $140 for about a 1.5–2 lb portion drenched in rosemary garlic butter. For a $650 dinner for two, I expected far more. Between the noise, uneven execution, and inflated prices, I’d rather stick with the classic NYC steakhouses that consistently deliver.

Delicious Sunday roast. The beef is tender and juicy, and the Yorkshire pudding is massive and chewy. The greens and the potatoes are nice and garlicky, and the bone marrow gravy adds a nice depth of flavor to the whole spread. The ambience is moody and “refined” without being stuffy, and the service is friendly. For dessert, I recommend the chocolate and coffee anglaise.

Excellent meal and venue. Started with cocktails… the butter old fashioned was very unique. Did not overpower the alcohol yet brought out the flavors while adding a hint of sweetness. Had the scallops and potted beef to start, before having 36oz porterhouse as a main (to share). All excellent. Have to take some points off for service as our waiter appeared to forget about us a bunch of times and when he did come around, he kept on stepping on my foot. Lastly, for two diners, he didn’t think to warn us there were an odd number of scallops or offer to add a 4th. I’ll be back but I’ll be cautious of the service, especially at this price point.
JB J — Google review
Our first interaction with the 2 hosts at the entrance was a bit rough, we arrived earlier and asked if we could have a drink at the bar. Their first reaction was a cold "no", and looking at us with a bit too much disdain to my taste. Before a waiter came around and told them he might have something. My friend who had been there before told us the welcoming was definitely way colder than he remembered. That being said it went uphill from there on, they do a corkage fee which is always a plus in my opinion, and I asked the sommelier to open the bottles in advance if she felt like it needed time to open. She basically told me that she would manage it and she did very well indeed! Service in the bar area was spotless, and cocktails were great. We then head to dinner where we had a very good sets of appetizers, shrimp cocktails (nothing incredible but always a crowd pleaser), pork belly (highly recommended), and moved on to share a couple of meat, a rib-eye and a porterhouse. All the food was super good, although maybe a bit pricy… but it’s a steakhouse in NYC so kinda expected. Dessert was great, even though I’m not really a dessert person, they are super good and inventive. We then asked to be moved at the bar to finish on a cocktail which they accommodated very quickly… Overall great experience. The 4 stars is more for the first welcoming at the front desk which I didn’t like, and maybe a bit too noisy atmosphere. But overall I would go back.

This is a premier steak house with the original being in London. Our server was very attentive, knowledgeable and provided spot on recommendation’s. Top notch interior giving a high end old world vibe with style. The meat was delicious and on par with many other New York steak houses. Two must haves is the their signature old fashion drink and sticky toffee pudding desert. I would go back over and over and over again just for the desert. Yum!!!

Absolutely fantastic experience and perfect for a date night or special occasion. The atmosphere was romantic and moody with low lighting and lush decor. You definitely feel like you’re at a high end establishment when you walk in. We had a reservation for a group of 4 and waited a minute before they sat us at our table. They staff was extremely polite and directed us to a high top table while we waited, however we did not have to wait long. The host brought us into the main dining room to our cozy booth and we were seated with menus shortly. Our waiter was extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and provided detailed recommendations for our tastes. Our cocktails and wine were excellent. The food was delicious. I had the filet and it was absolutely fantastic, I still think about it. The Mac and cheese was also a standout, very rich and true comfort food. While I could not finish my food, I left very happy and full, with a delicious lunch for the next day! Definitely 5 stars for service because I let our waiter know privately that we were celebrating a friend and they kindly brought out a decorated dessert for him. I can’t wait to return for my next special occasion.

Smith & Wollensky, located in Midtown East, is a renowned steakhouse known for its dry-aged beef, classic martinis, and extensive wine selection. The New York Times has hailed it as the 'steakhouse to end all arguments,' comparing it to a cathedral for steak lovers. The restaurant's grand exterior is transformed into a massive Christmas present during the holiday season, adding to its festive charm.
Best make a reservation if possible. Seating available both on the ground and second floor. Ground floor area is nicer. Staff are as always very professional and helpful. Menu isn’t extensive but what they have they do very well. Had salad and hash brown and they were really good. Steaks are also done perfectly and while a little expensive, it’s better than any of the other steakhouses around. Well worth a visit.

Dining at Smith & Wollensky was truly an unforgettable experience. The food was outstanding from the perfectly prepared steaks to the sides, everything was amazing! What elevated the evening even further was the service. Our server, Kareem, was exceptional. He was attentive and genuinely cared about making the night special. He anticipated needs before we even asked and created a dining experience that I was unforgettable. Behind the scenes, Ryan was instrumental in helping coordinate this dinner, ensuring every detail was seamless from the very beginning. His professionalism and care set the tone for the night. Nick’s hospitality and personal attention made the entire experience unforgettable. The way he engaged with us truly made us feel like valued guests rather than just another table. This was truly and incredible dining experiences and we’ll absolutely be returning

We much prefer the lively Grill room where no nonsense (in a good way) career waiters serve up tried and true steakhouse fare. The thoughtful touches, delicious dishes, and professional staff made this meal not just dinner but a memory worth keeping, and I can easily recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking a top-tier dining experience! Note, this is a busy restaurant and reservations are highly recommended! The menu is about as solid and bulletproof as it gets. Definitely keep an eye out for the specials on the chalkboard.

Nice medium cooked rib eye but we took two and the one was full of fat. Very nice environment with good service from the waiters but the reception was not very friendly. The thick cut bacon was very good. However, the prices are excessive and too expensive for what you get and it is definitely not worth the money. The quality is not good in relation to the price you pay. You can get better food with less than half of the price elsewhere. You basically pay a lot because some famous people used to visit and that it is in Manhattan.

Arrived with a reservation so no info on walk-in seating times. Bryce Anderson and Ronnie worked in tandem to bring us the best dining experience possible. Good variety of food and drink options. Would highly recommend for special occasions or for a change of pace.

i went a week ago there is a lot to say. first off the food was good. i personally got the cajun rib steak it was charred perfectly the flavor was good and their was a little spice after the bite. i’d rate it a good 7.5/10. the sides were solid nothing crazy. the dessert was good - especially the apple crumb like ice cream dessert. the food was GOOD, but the service was subpar. which for me is almost just important when you are paying what you are here. there was two specific instances. 1.) we DID NOT state one of our friend had a nut allergy. there were a basket of bread - and it was not told to us or stated anywhere that one type of bread(cranberry walnut i think) contained nuts. so first off we weren’t told and second off it was in the same basket as non nut bread. so being surrounded by nut allergic people they thought it was so weird it wasn’t separated because the chances of someone being allergic is very high - so if your not going to say anything why risk cross contaminating. that only increases the chances someone has a reaction even if they do not have that specific bread. also like most places start with allergies. again we DID NOT state we had one, so that is on us. 2.) my nut allergic friend DID have a reaction. he had to go in the hallway and use an epipen. he was told to move beside while inserting an epipen into his leg bc he was blocking a wine cooler. that is unacceptable and totally ignorant to the situation. the manager was notified about all of this who was very apologetic. he said he would talk to the employeees and offered us a round of drinks. we appreciated his response but this situation should not happen at that type of restaurant when we had a real emergency m. .
Jacob P — Google review
To be fair this steakhouse is very much mediocre. For the price that you pay you may as well enjoy the other steakhouses in nyc as this place is not really worth your time or money. The steaks were cooked beautifully however the sides and appetizers were either unseasoned, extremely salty, or super dry. We tried so many dishes as well and they mostly all seemed to have that in common. I was expecting higher standards for this place

Came here for lunch during restaurant week and had a wonderful experience. I really liked how they had their own mocktail specials. I got the shrimp cocktail which was huge and flavorful. The steak was cooked to perfection and seasoned really well. The dessert was supposed to be like a lava cake. There wasn't much ooze but still tasty with the whipped cream. All that for 40 (minus the cocktail) was definitely worth it!

Porterhouse Steak was good. Service did not feel that great. They could have done a better job considering the check cost about US$550. Atmosphere is kind of dated. Needs a little touch up. Have been to better places with amazing service for that kind of price. Taking pride in your brand and food is good. But, have to keep up with that kind of image for all customers.

For a high end Manhattan steak restaurant a lot of things were delish (the bacon, creamed corn and spinach, bone marrow) but not consistently the steaks. We liked our prime rib. Our porterhouse and chili rub rib eye were disappointingly salted and flavored to the point we had to ask for salt and steak sauce. For $200+ pp I expect better steaks. The service was solid. They could upgrade the decor - there were patches in my seat that looked like water stains.

Updated review today: a year can make a difference, we went back and the service and all was very good. Attentive, timely and overall pleasant experience. Upgraded our review to 4 stars. We had a white truffle filled dinner. Well done. A year ago initial review: The quality of the food is good. My rib-eye was prepared as requested. That night, I was eating dinner alone so this review is one-person’s opinion. With that said, the service was lacking. I order a shrimp cocktail which never came. Waiter never came by to check up in with me as to how my culinary experience was going. Other tables were being given the proper and adequate attention. Could have been an off night or perhaps a table of one doesn’t get the same attention as a table for two or more. If not for the service, my start rating would have been a 4.

I’m start this review by saying this restaurant is now in my TOP 5 favorite restaurants!! The food gotten better with every bite, I was consciously trying not to devour my dish because things would have gotten messy! Our waiter Walter was very courteous, attentive, although they did not have an official kids menu he was able to give my daughter options that are not on the menu that she would enjoy very appreciative of that. The aesthetics were very elegant, modern, rich. The restaurant is wrap with a view of the city, enjoying a dinner with soft music and light conversations being sounds of the background and views of the forever moving city right outside our window! I for sure will come back again and again!!

Classic steakhouse experience and a million dollar view. Service is wonderful- they know what you want before you know what you want. If you are lucky enough to sit by a window celebrate with a Manhattan. Of course the steaks are wonderful, but the hidden gem at our table was the Iberian Duroc Pork Chop. More people ravdd about the suculence and juciness of that chop than the steaks. A can't miss item. Try the cookie plate and a glass of port to finish the night and enjoy the view.

COTE Korean Steakhouse is an upscale dining spot that offers a refined barbecue experience with smokeless grills at each table. It's the only Michelin-starred Korean barbecue restaurant globally, known for its high-quality meats and attentive staff. The Butchers Feast is a popular choice, featuring four cuts of beef along with traditional sides. Additionally, the restaurant offers an extensive wine list to complement the meal.
I have to start first with praising the service, I think it was in our top 5. Our server Denny, I hope I spelled his name correctly, was the best. So attentive and knowledgeable about the food, even geography, not a lot of people know where our home country is. The food was in abundance, we even got fried rice on the house. The cocktails were good especially the Cote Highball, and the ending, the salted caramel soft serve, on point. We will definitely be visiting again.

This place is amazing, period. Me and my friend had a great time here. We were able to reserve a table for a late dinner as they were preparing to open. Meats were amazing (A5 was on another level). All the side dishes tasted great, and really complemented the barbecue meat. The servers who cooked the meat were great and efficient. The ice cream at the end was awesome (I'd buy a tub if it if they sold it individually). For a restaurant of this calibre, we thought we got full value out of this place. I would consider eating here again if I get the chance to visit New York city.

Everything about our experience was fantastic. Had an 8:45 reservation but we ended up arriving much sooner than expected almost an hour early. We were happy to get drinks at the bar (which were delicious) and wait until our res time but the hostesses had our group of 4 at a table by 815. Our server was equally amazing steering is us towards menu choice that best fit what we were looking for and complemented other choices. We opted for the Butcher's Feast for each person along with a few appetizers to supplement. Each dish continued to surpass the previous one.

What an amazing experience at Cote! 10/10! The food was absolutely incredible, rich, flavorful, and 100% worth it. The service was top-notch too: our captain knew the menu inside out and even cooked right in front of us, which made it even more special. The atmosphere was perfect, great music, beautiful tables with plenty of space. Nothing more to say… I’ll definitely be back! 🙏🏼

We tried the Butcher’s Feast at Cote and really enjoyed it. Everything felt well thought out—from the service to how the food was paced. It’s definitely on the pricier side, but it’s more of an experience than just dinner. The meat was cooked perfectly and the flavors were spot on. I liked almost all the sides, especially the okra, egg soufflé, and the barbecue sauce. The scallion salad was also really good and added a nice balance to the meal. We also got the Yobo soju, which was smooth and tasty, though a bit expensive. Overall, Cote was a great experience with excellent food and service. Pricey, yes, but worth it for a special night out.

It was a truly wonderful dinner. The quality of the meat was excellent, and each side dish, even the size and freshness of the lettuce, was top-notch. As a Korean, I was impressed that the menu was written in Korean. The atmosphere of the restaurant and the service of all the staff were also excellent. Especially GM Jason’s warm welcome and kind vibe, our dinner turned out to be such a joyful experience! 👍👍👍 Can’t wait to dining again next time!

This was my first time here and what an amazing dining experience. Not sure where to start but we ordered the beef experience, and asked our wonderful waitress “Anna” to bring out some of her favorites as well. They explained everything in detail and began cooking the beef at the table. This is a hands off experience as they make sure the cuts are colored to perfection. Just sit back and enjoy. Each cut builds on the prior so that the last cut ends up being literally one of the bests cuts I’ve ever had. The pickled vegetables were perfect. They served us a “shot” of beef broth “soup” and it’s to be sipped and I would drink that all day long it was that good. Anyway and at the end of the meal they topped it off with a small serving of ice cream that had Carmel and a drizzle of soy sauce, lovely. Def going back and definitely telling all my friends. Thank you to Geraldo the manager for helping to make this a memorable night !!!

The Loft Steakhouse, a popular kosher dining spot in Brooklyn since 2009, offers an upscale and stylish bi-level space for patrons to enjoy top-notch steaks and creative sushi. The restaurant has garnered a loyal following among locals and visitors alike, providing an elegant setting for group gatherings or intimate dinners. Known for its exceptional service, the waitstaff at The Loft is adept at catering to diners' preferences and offering impressive menu recommendations.
Yesterday, I finally realized what people keep on saying: you don’t have to go to Manhattan for a good steakhouse. The Loft in Boro Park rivals the best—it's just as amazing and upscale! We were seated immediately upon arrival—no wait at all. Our waiter, EBlender (big thanks to him!), was fantastic—professional, friendly, and attentive. He inquired about food allergies before going over the menu, brought us water, and maintained a great attitude throughout our meal. The service was quick. After we ordered, our drinks and food arrived promptly, and every dish was incredible. I could write a ton about each one—the flavors and aromas were outstanding, the steak was cooked exactly as we requested, and the portions were generous yet just right. The kitchen really knows what it’s doing. The Loft is a place you have to try, and I’m definitely coming back. I highly recommend it!

My husband and I are from Alaska and we’ve never been to a kosher restaurant before! The owner was so friendly and made sure we felt welcome and comfortable, even though we’re not part of their culture. The waitress explained what makes their food different, and we went in with an open mind and empty stomachs. We left smiling and full! Wow! I ordered the lollipop chicken appetizer, and it was so crunchy and cooked to perfection. My husband had the regular ribeye, and I ordered the dry-aged one. We also ordered the brisket as a third entree because we like to try a bit of everything. When I say my jaw dropped at the amount of food we received, I mean it! The presentation was 10/10, the flavor was 10/10, the portions were 100/10, and the tenderness was 10/10. We also ordered too much dessert, with the s’mores pie, which was next level tasty. The apple pie was delicious too, and the owner sent over the fresh donuts (clearly noticing we like to eat 😂) and they were so delicious! Overall, it was an amazing experience! Even if you don’t need to eat kosher for your religion or preference, I highly recommend this place!

We had the best time at the loft. They deserve more recognition and exposure. Great food, high-end service, vibrant atmosphere (if you are from-friendly :) ), and the best desserts menu I’ve ever seen in a steakhouse. 👏

The loft is a classic. Amazing food!! And a solid menu 👌 I've been there many times. And it's always on the bucket list again....

The food is fantastic. The “hot stone” appetizer is fun, well marinated and delicious. The short ribs on the sesame rice is soft and very flavorful. The other dishes were great as well. The pecan cinnamon twist tastes as good as it looks and smells. Gigi is a great hostess, Devin was knowledgeable about each and every dish, and is super attentive which added to the joyous experience.

I had an absolutely incredible experience at The Loft Steakhouse! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth and professionalism. The restaurant was packed — every table was full — yet the service was still outstanding. The staff handled the crowd effortlessly, always attentive without ever making us feel rushed or overlooked. The food was phenomenal. Every dish was prepared perfectly, from the appetizers to the main courses. The steaks were tender, juicy, and full of rich flavor — easily some of the best I’ve ever had. You can tell they use top-quality ingredients and take real pride in their craft. The sides and starters were just as impressive, each one bursting with taste and beautifully presented. Even with how busy it was, everything came out on time, hot, and fresh. The servers were friendly, professional, and genuinely cared that we had a great experience. The atmosphere was elegant and welcoming, with just the right lighting and ambiance to make the night feel special. It’s rare to find a restaurant that can deliver such amazing food and flawless service even when at full capacity, but The Loft Steakhouse does exactly that. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a first-class dining experience — I can’t wait to come back!

Tonight was the second time we ate here, last March was the first and it was excellent then 10/10. Tonight was not as good of an experience as last time. The wine, Herzog Pinot Noir was excellent, the waiter was excellent, he knew his craft v. well. We ordered the mixed green salad to start, it was limp and the greens were soggy, just not appetizing. Last time the salad was crisp and fresh. We then ordered the cowboy ribeye, green beans, fries.......we asked for medium well, however the steak was too bloody and undercooked, (I also heard the table behind me complain of the same issue), it was really fatty and not really pleasant to eat. The french fries were all stuck together and swimming in grease, not at all like last time. The green beans however were excellent. We had the molten chocolate cake for dessert, which was very good. However, I felt that this establishment may have become complacent in their approach to the food they serve. Our $320 dinner was definitely not as good as when we ate here last year and I urge the owners not to let standards slip. As right now I am not sure I would come back. I was highly disappointed tonight, it was a special occasion for us as a couple, and I was sooooo looking fwd to eating here but this time we were not as impressed as before. Owners, please take heed of my review as this was a wonderful restaurant don't let it become sub par. Brush up your standards a little and make it worth the $320 we paid plus a $70 tip!!!!

American restaurant
The Old Homestead Steakhouse, a historic establishment dating back to 1868, is a renowned New York landmark known for its premium quality steaks. Situated in the trendy meatpacking district, it offers a blend of classic and contemporary dishes, showcasing traditional favorites like the New York sirloin steak alongside modern creations such as sweet and sour calamari. Led by executive chef Oscar Martinez, the diverse menu includes options like 40-day aged rib steak and Kobe burgers.
The best steak I have EVER had. My girlfriend and I went for our anniversary and we were met with wonderful service, stellar appetizers and like I said- the best steak I’ve ever had in my life. We shared the 40 day dry aged porterhouse for 2. Worth every penny.

Henry was our server. He was the best server we have had in a long time. He made us feel welcomed and was very attentive to our needs. Henry reccomended the crab cake, which he said, “is the best in the City,” and now I agree. Unlike many other crab cakes these were made with large chunks of crab and were perfectly crisped on the outside. My wife and I both agree it was delicious! We also had the porterhouse for two and the crab-stuffed mushrooms. The mushrooms were very good, but outshone by the crab cake. You might want to get two crab cakes, if you have two or more people. The porterhouse was very good and we ate every bit. We also had mashed potatoes and creamed spinach. They are both delicious, but we didn’t have enough room in our stomachs for all them, including the Caesar salad.

The food isn't expensive since and it's also not cheap. It's reasonably priced and you'll get your money worth. Gave service a four star because the waitress could have been more attentive. Overall good experience.

Ordered a jumbo crab cake, $95 special porterhouse with 2 sides and their 16oz sirloin steak Crab cake was decent size but would not call it jumbo. With that being said, the taste was fantastic. It was fresh and seasoned well. Great taste. However the steaks were a different story. The porterhouse was slightly overcooked (asked for medium and we got medium plus) but worst of all it had no seasoning. We initially asked for table salt and then again for kosher salt and had to salt each bite. I genuinely believe the chef did not put any seasoning. The meat quality was acceptable but compared to great steakhouses like Keens and Wolfgang, it was mediocre, but to be fair few dollars cheaper. Overall, I would not go back.

Appetizers was good - rock shrimp was amazing Kobe burger - didn't really taste any different from a regular burger off the grill at home. A bit disappointed on it. Gotham rib steak- was amazing, perfectly cooked (med )

The crab cake and calamari were phenomenal. The crab cake had chunks of crab with a light flavored mustard sauce. The Sirloin I ordered was cooked medium rare like I ordered. It was seasoned beautifully.

MEATPACKING DISTRICT, NY - If you're in the mood for a classic dining experience, you have to check out Old Homestead Steak House in the trendy Meat Packing District. Established way back in 1868, this spot has built strong ties with its butchers, ensuring they get the first pick of the finest beef. You'll find nothing but prime, dry-aged meat here — it's a promise they've kept since day one! Plus, they snagged the Wine Spectator Award in 2006. . The restaurant might not be huge, but its charming; old-school decor adds to the cozy atmosphere. While it’s nestled in Chelsea, the vibe is all about comfort and tradition. The service here is generally great, though sometimes it feels a bit understaffed during visits. Just a heads up: they don’t serve complimentary bread. . Now, let’s talk about the food! The New York Strip and Ribeye, cooked just the way you like and seasoned perfectly. Instead of traditional sides, you can decided to share the spicy Thai fried calamari, which is sweet and delicious, along with the stuffed shrimp. Everything is cooked to perfection, and you'll definitely plan to return. With an incredible ambiance, rich history, and fantastic wine selections, you won’t want to miss this staple of New York City.

4 Charles Prime Rib, a steakhouse owned by Brendan Sodikoff, offers a blend of contemporary dishes and vintage charm. Securing a reservation here is quite the feat, but it's worth it for the best prime rib in New York served in a setting reminiscent of a period drama. The restaurant exudes an intimate and gracious ambiance that makes diners feel truly special. From martinis to cheeseburgers and French dip sandwiches, every dish is crafted with perfection.
Thanks to a friend, I had one of the most unforgettable dining experiences at 4 Charles. From the very first bite, every dish carried a unique flavor and depth that you just can’t find anywhere else. I’ve been to many top restaurants, but it has been so long since I felt this happy with every part of the meal. Our server was flawless, and every member of the team made the night feel even more special. The steak melted in my mouth, the bone marrow was pure perfection, and the cocktails, wine, and dessert tied everything together beautifully. I walked out with a full heart, a full stomach, and a wish to come back again soon.

From the minute I was doing the line till I paid it was such a magnificent experience. Every single detail and movement was about looking after my experience and making sure I was having a good time. I’m still suprised of the level of personalization during my time at 4 Charles. I must say that the burger it is fantastic and I would always comeback, specially if i find a reservation which is always tricky. I arrived 1.30 hours before the opening to make sure i can get the burger

Okay- it was worth the hype! A great experience from soup to nuts. We tried just about everything on the menu and I’ll share the highlights. We started with the Bone Marrow and honestly I’m going to be thinking about it for a while. The shrimp were also excellent. Moving onto the reason why you’re here, the Burger? Increíble.. but you know what else is as great? The French DIP!! Truffle Mac and cheese and the corn are a must. I know this might sound controversial but get the Broccoli, it was so good and a nice palette cleanser before dessert. Lastly? Get the coconut cake + chamomile tea. Bonus points: the Whiskey Sour is very nice.

I am speechless. Put simply this is the best meal I've ever had. And I've had a lot of great meals. The service is exceptional big shout out to Daniel, Miguel and Carlos for making our experience unimaginably special. Everything was phenominal. But the French Dip and Chocolate Cream pie are two of the best things a human being has ever done. (Not just food... Like all humans and all things.) It doesn't just live up to the hype it exceeds it. Whatever hoops you have to jump through to get a table - do it. This is an otherworldly experience.

What a wonderful spot! I had such a great time with my parents at 4 Charles. The atmosphere is cozy and intimate, with a beautiful jazzy vibe — absolutely gorgeous. We were so happy to get an early walk in table for my friend’s birthday. We had the prime rib for the first time and it was amazing!! The bone marrow is a must. Service is always on point here. Shout out to Brandon for always making us feel like we are dining at our “friends” restaurant. Make sure you come early if you don’t have a reservation or you will not be eating here. Have respect for the staff or don’t come. If you can’t accept a no answer as an adult don’t leave your house.

The decor and atmosphere are quintessential and what you dreamed of when you booked. So intimate and charming. The wood paneling oozing with history. Old fashioned but timeless. The burgers excellent, sides wonderful and lemon meringue pie is crazy attractive.

We were in town for my birthday trip and managed to be first in line for the waitlist consideration. We saw every single person working hard to prepare for a good night. We waited two hours before opening to secure our spot in the blazing heat and I’d do it again, not only for the food, but for the service! We were greeted by wonderful wait staff and for the first 8-minutes of opening had the entire place to ourselves. It didn’t feel transactional! They wanted us to enjoy our dinner. Highly recommend the crab legs, the burger, the French dip! All of the food was impeccable with beautiful presentation. Thank you for ending my birthday trip with a delightful dinner! We were grateful for the last minute table and hope to come back soon! Do not skip this one - it’s worth it!

DeStefano's Steakhouse, located on Lorimer Street, embodies an old-school Italian ambiance and is renowned for its delectable cuisine and gracious hospitality. This family-run establishment pays homage to the neighborhood's strong sense of community, offering a warm and inviting atmosphere. The interior exudes a cozy feel with a glass-sealed fireplace and tastefully displayed framed pictures adorning the walls.
This place is very clean, the waiters very friendly. I am not a meat person, but I wanted to bring my husband because it was his birthday, he loves meat. My husband and children loved it and I liked it a lot too. When I made the online reservation I gave them a note that I wanted a good table since it was my husband's birthday and when my children ordered dessert they brought an extra for my husband with the sign Happy Birthday without asking.

Birthday dinner @ Destefano's was AMAZING!!! You know you had a good time when you forget to take any 'before' pics and only have an empty plate to show for the delicious dinner. Highly recommend the 'porterhouse for 2'. We also shared the creamed spinach, wedge potatoes, sweet &spicy bacon and the arugula pear salad. There were left overs to go and my martinis were made to Perfection! Most memorable was our server Emily. She was friendly and knowledgeable, an absolute delight. I would return again and again for those perfect martinis and Emily's warm service. Kudos to Destefano's for providing an all around delectable dining experience. 👏

took my wife here for her birthday and I have to say this is one of the top dining experiences weve had, and the food was outstanding along with our waitress and the overall vibe. We got the 12 oz filet mignon, with crab cake appetizer, potatoes, and sauteed mushroom side dish and it was one of the best meals ive ever eaten. The filet mignon was perfect. I'd definitely come back and recommend this restaurant to anyone. It's safe to say I love Destefanos steakhouse!

Came for the 1st time tonight after driving by & doing a deep dive on it. Believe all the reviews you read. Our experience tonight was perfection. If you want to try it by sitting at the bar where the full menu is available, be hosted by the lovely Michelle behind the bar, a veteran of the place.. and you’ll be glad you did. We sat at a table for 4. Took Michelle’s advise and ordered to eat family style. 40oz porterhouse and chicken cordon blue were the mains. Sides can be ordered in 3 sizes. Get the large garlic mashed potatoes, for the famous creamed spin and corn sides. Apps were amazing crab cakes two big enough to share and beet salad were both amazing. Our waitress was extremely nice and helpful!! Go!!!

Amber Steak House is a high-end steakhouse located in an elegant venue that offers both indoor and outdoor dining. It became the first steakhouse in Greenpoint back in 2010 and has since been delighting its patrons with a gourmet menu featuring steak, fresh seafood, fine wines, and even vegetarian options. Despite some initial encounters with less-than-friendly staff, the overall experience at Amber Steak House is exceptional, with great food, service, and ambiance.
It was my first time in a Polish steak house. I am very positively surprised. First of all, you have to try the bacon - exquisite taste. Salmon tartare is simply delicate and delicious. Excellent grilled octopus. cooked to perfection. And the steaks are already poetry. Real perfection of cooking. waiters who know the answer to every culinary question. This is a place you have to visit and eat.

Wonderful dinner from every perspective. We ordered arugula salad, fries calamari, porterhouse, amber seafood plate, and a side of fries. Excellent sauces for fried calamari, really bring out different tastes, well balanced salad, refreshing and crisp; nicely done porterhouse (move over Peter Lugar's) , crispy fries. A hearty grilled seafood and delightful variety. meticulous service: warm bread, soft butter, clean table between courses, don't stack plates in front of your nose- these should have been basic yet very rarely found these days. We had a great dinner and definitely want to come back again soon!

We went Saturday 10/18 - 8 pm reservation for our 4th wedding anniversary and we can’t wait for the next reason to come back . No crowd at all it was wonderful ,the atmosphere was quaint and quiet . Just enough to hear the person at your table Andrzej was our server , he was attentive enough to know when we needed him and when we didn’t and that was something we love at establishments, so this was a plus . Especially since it was our anniversary and the table talk was that important. We started with the following drinks . And let me tell you the bartender did not disappoint. I had a French martini and I never had one and it was delicious , not too sweet and I’m not a raspberry girl but it was amazing . The hint of vanilla was amazing , I’d definitely order it again . My husband had a Raspberry peach margarita , I would’ve liked it without raspberry but also delicious. Second round Peach cosmo , wasn’t a fan too sweet just my taste but it was a good drink . Lynchburg’s lemonade was almost like a Jack Daniel’s Lemonade and it got the spot , so refreshing and not skimped on the alcohol either. Drinks service 10/10 Next was appetizers Caesar salad , now I read the reviews and still gave it a try and they were right . It has a hint of Russian dressing to it , was not a fan & probably wouldn’t order it again . Didn’t give the traditional taste to me . Calamari , yea give me 10 of them ,add some banana peppers and we got a deal . They were airy and light and the batter was delicious. Grilled bacon - This was a game changer for me , I’m going to need to order two next time . Yes that good , Smokey flavor and that sauce that came with it paired so well . Entree Porterhouse for two grilled to a perfection of medium rare , it was amazing. We made sure to take the bone home to our dog The char was perfection , it was fork tender even the day after We paired them with the lobster mac and cheese which was so tender juicy and decadent. And the roasted potatoes with onion and peppers , it gave off home fries vibes and I was not a fan . I expected roasted potatoes in half maybe with the skin still on. We ended the night with crème brûlée which had a faint hint of lemon that I was not a fan of and tossed the traditional taste out the window and the espresso ice cream which was decadent and delicious . The service was 10/10 Overall meal withe nuances 9/10 I’m definitely coming back !

Don’t let TikTok fool you!! My mate and I went to celebrate our anniversary and it definitely ruined the celebration. Don’t get me wrong, the decor and interior was really nice and Chic. The servers were really attentive and personable but the food is a whole other ballgame. The lemon drop cocktail was the star of this show. The calamari was bland and lukewarm. I ordered the creamed spinach which tasted bland and a bit freezer burnt . The spinach had the worst after taste. The lobster Mac and cheese was runny and grainy. You can tell a roux was the main point in making this mac and cheese but it was so underwhelming. The lobster Mac and cheese was extremely disappointing. My surf and turf was pretty good but a bit on the cold side. The waiter traded out the lobster Mac and cheese for mashed potato but when he brought it out they were ice cube cold (lowkey like vanilla icecream). The only hot thing was my mates steak which they took back and replaced when they realized he was shaking the table trying to cut into the steak that was supposed to medium and not overly well done. He was shaking the table so hard all we could do was apologize to the patrons next to us and laugh embarrassingly lol. The manager was nice and understanding but nothing was taken off the bill for our less than stellar experience. Very disappointed in my first visit here. Doubt I’ll come back.

Since opening its doors in 2015, this Mediterranean-style steakhouse has been serving some of the best cuts in a chic and contemporary space. The restaurant boasts a sophisticated and classy design with a beautiful wine display, making it perfect for fancy dinner dates. The food was absolutely delicious, with every dish bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it the perfect spot for an ideal birthday dinner. A special shoutout to Asmar, who truly made the evening exceptional. Asmar was attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. Another stakehouse in my collection. The first, and, well, the last time.... A tablecloth with a stain does not bring pleasure, does it? And that's just the beginning. Vodka martini is very average, but i had wors before, so it's ok. Bone Marrow and Greek salad are our appetizers - delicious - and they brought it quickly. The steaks themselves - T-bone and NY strip - average... you can eat them when you're hungry, not for pleasure at all... Creme Brulee is something between rice pudding and semolina porridge....I didn't like it. The waiters are very friendly, fast, and professional !

Great food and a great experience thanks to our waiter Ruslan who did an amazing job. There was also live music. I had the prime bone-in ribeye and it was delicious. I also had the crab cake and it was mostly if not all crab and very tasty. It was enough for two people. I was happy with the seating too, tables were spread out and we were never too close to anyone, great ambience. Highly recommended.

The atmosphere was settle. Service could have been better. The waiters were kinda ruff with the serving of the food. Kinda like throwing the food at you. An everything was over price. Maybe because it was Father's Day. IDK. The online menu was cheaper also offer more food variety then the in house menu. Again maybe because it was Father's Day. Me personally won't be going back there. But over all the food was good.

We visited Atlas for our post-Valentine's Day weekend dinner. The restaurant was decorated for a fine dining experience with wine showcases, nice lighting and a beautiful wall w/hanging flowers. Live Pianist.. Our experience started with a basket of freshly baked rolls with garlic butter (OMG delicious).🥖 We ordered the Crab cakes, calamari, Moroccan cigars and a Caesar salad for appetizers. The Star was the Crab cake; flavorful (but a little salty for my palette). For Entrees: we ordered Salmon steak w/ mash potatoes and Chilean Sea Bass.😋 They were cooked to perfection! My Lychee Martini was mixed very good.🍸 For desserts: we ordered Creme Brulee, Cheese cake and Carrot cake. All delicious🍰 Our waitress Jennifer J. was absolutely amazing. She was very pleasant, attentive, and helped with making recommendations. Overall, we had a lovely experience. Thank you❣️

My steak however was underwhelming..I asked for medium well and it came out too chewy...next time...yes there will be a next time I'll have it medium rare and see I that makes a difference!!

The beer was fresh and tasty, not weak like in many other places in NYC. We had a ribeye steak, and it was cooked very well, with great flavor and the right amount of salt. I also had the onion soup - it was delicious and made the right way. The prices were very reasonable for this kind of food and service. We’re so happy to have discovered this gem in New York, and we’ll definitely be coming back!

~ FOOD~ # visit 1 -- Steak was a little underdone - not what was requested - and the shrimp smelled excessively of the ocean. The shrimp scampi was textbook quality and, thankfully, exceedingly fresh. The tiramisu - shibboleth for every Italian restaurant I visit - was pretty forgettable. The final act of the night - a delicious hot toddy spiked with just a touch of Bailey’s - was just perfect. # visit 2 -- Fish and chips were surprisingly outstanding; the sole was fresh, breaded and fried perfectly; the accompaniments (tartar sauce, salad, etc.) struck just the right note. ~ ATMOSPHERE ~ Stately and old fashioned. Roomy enough for people-watching but with ample nooks and crannies for privacy. ~ SERVICE ~ Always prompt, and waiters do not linger unnecessarily.

The large bar/restaurant is located in the Bay Ridge section of Brooklyn. They primarily prepare Irish/American cuisine. Soups, salads, sandwiches, appetizers, various entrees including steaks and burgers are available. The full-service bar has beer and mixed drinks. The hamburger platter was very good with a nice-sized patty including french fries, lettuce, tomato and pickle. Friendly and helpful staff.

My husband found this restaurant online. We went there for dinner. I didn't understand why it's called steak house. In fact, it's typical Italian restaurant, but we didn't know it and wanted to eat steaks. The oysters were very small that there was nothing to eat. There was a lot of oil in tomatoes with mozzarella. Both of us ordered ribeye steaks. I can say one thing to describe, my husband cooks steaks much better than in this restaurant. In addition, there were a lot of lives in my steak and it was tough. And what we really didn't like about the tablecloths covered with paper. If you want to eat steaks, find better place. We won't go to this place again. Dinner for two without drinks and alcohol cost us over $200 and we didn't have any pleasure spending Saturday night dinner there. As a summary, the prices are high and the service and food are very poor. P.S. During our stay, the bartender talked very loudly with co-workers.

Food was half decent. However, we came at around 10 minutes to 8 on a Sunday and they told us the kitchen closed at 8:30 so hurry up and order quickly. We found that very rude and the website says the place is open until 9:00 so why is it earlier? Then because they wanted us to hurry, they didn't even offer any dessert or coffee after the meal at all. And there was no drinks menu, you had to just ask for what you would want. Do they not want to make money? Not to mention that they had a love band in the bar area, which would be nice, and the music was good, except they were super loud. Luckily we were in the dining room at the back but it was still very loud.

I went to this restaurant to try their restaurant week menu. In my opinion the 4-course lunch for $30 was a good deal. The waiter was very friendly and accommodating. All the dishes that I have tried were quite tasty with the exception of pork chops. The pork chops were overcooked and so dry that it was quite difficult to cut them with the knife; however, the side of mashed potatoes was very good. Overall, this was a good lunch experience and I can recommend this place, but definitely skip the pork chops and order something else.

Wolfgang's Steakhouse is an upscale chophouse chain known for its dry-aged steaks, seafood, and wine served in an elegant setting. Founded by Wolfgang Zwiener, a former head waiter at Peter Luger, the first location opened on Park Avenue in 2005 and has since expanded to multiple locations worldwide. The Midtown NYC restaurant is housed in the old Vanderbilt Hotel dining room, offering a cozy ambiance with stunning vaulted tiled ceilings.
Fantastic dining experience at Wolfgang’s Steakhouse in Tribeca! Started with the seafood tower was fresh and delicious. Sides were on point: crispy fries, creamy mashed potatoes, and buttery spinach. Finished strong with their apple strudel topped with ice cream and a healthy dose of schlag! Classic New York steakhouse vibes and everything hit just right. Will definitely be back…

We had a lunch last week. 4 people. (East Asians) The food was great. All of us were satisfied with the food and atmosphere. We had a conversation in Korean. The server might think we would not speak English fluently or do not understand the tip culture properly. We were wiling to pay the proper amount of tip (20%) as we leave the place. However, the server pointed his finger on the receipt to force us to pay the tip. That was so rude. If you think about the price of the service, that kind of incident should not happen. It would be nice if we can receive proper apology from the restaurant.

I went for the first time last night. And let me tell you that this beat all of my expectations. The ambiance is very grown and sexy, the decor is nice. But the food was phenomenal!! We ordered oysters, lobster soup, mozzarella and tomatoes, porter house steak, filet mignon, cream spinach, potatoes, and lobster Mac and cheese. For dessert we had a little bit of everything. The steak was seasoned so well, it was the best steak I have had in a long time. Everything was amazing! Alfred was our waiter and he was so attentive, and patient in answering all of our questions, we felt so comfortable with him and at home. Will definitely be coming back!

Experience and meal certainly did not live up to the price and name. Ordered the porterhouse and while decent, could not compare to competitors’ within the price range (Empire Steakhouse etc.). Tuna and fillet mignon was decent and portions were good. Service, however, needs to be greatly improved, especially for a steakhouse at this price point. Bread was served cold and when asked, the server simply dismissed it. Plates were thrown on to the table, no explanation of the sauces/dishes were given and the server felt unhappy to serve our table in general. Automatic 20% tip was still included in the bill but we did not agree to it given the lacklustre service. Gentleman at the front of house however was cheery, helpful and welcoming.

First time here and I must say I was impressed with everything. Had reservations and got seated promptly. I got the rib eye- med rare and it was done to perfection. The lobster mac and cheese was good, it could've used a bit more salt/pepper. The cream spinach was ridiculously fresh and done well. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed that. I'm trying that tomahawk next!

My friend who is visiting me from syracuse wanted to have a steak in Wolf Gang steak. One of the worst experiences for me and my friend. The bread they served is not fresh. The butter is frozen. I asked the waiter to get room temp butter he refused. My friend’s steak is dry and tasteless. My salmon, I ordered medium rare came well done with not fully cleaned. They don’t give any sides so we ordered steak fries and mashed potatoes. Huge portion came. They think it’s steak fries but these are French fries. I don’t believe they know the difference. Wolf Gang- you need to eat yourself !

Great steakhouse experience. The steak was excellent and the key lime pie was a standout. Cheesecake looked good but tasted a bit dry. Would definitely come back for the steak and dessert. And, worth mentioning - very decent gimlet!

Falling in 🧡 with steak and seafood all over again. The food is divine. Cocktails too. The greeter at the door is questionable, abrasive and didn’t know how to welcome the largest group of guests in the room with a corporate account, suspiciously asking if we were going to order any food. Management, please do a better job, and don’t sweep any food or drinks away without first asking and then actually looking at the response.

Bowery Meat Company is a retro-styled steakhouse located in the heart of the Bowery. It offers classic cuts of meat prepared in modern ways, along with pasta and other dishes. The restaurant provides an intimate dining experience with seating for only 35 people in their private dining room, making it suitable for private events as well. Guests have praised the ambiance, hospitality, and service at this meat-centric restaurant.
One of the best steakhouse experiences I’ve had in the city. The staff is very attentive and know the menu inside out. We were a large group, so we started with the caviar, oysters, and duck lasagna. The lasagna is a must try! We got three different cuts and they were all cooked to perfection. For sides we had creamed spinach, mashed potato’s and Mac and cheese. You cannot leave without having the bread pudding for dessert! If you’re too full you should get it to go!

What an awesome night! Started with Shrimp Cocktail and had Dry Aged Porterhouse for 2 which of course we selected from a caveman board of raw beef! Perfectly cooked and absolutely delicious. You could really taste the dry aged. Added creamed spinach and whipped potatoes which were perfect pairs. Cocktails and wine excellent as well as our server. And can’t forget about the carrot cake with a cream cheese frosting - perfect end to a great evening.

Very friendly and helpful staff - welcoming smiles, helpful team, not overbearing. Genuinely great service. Everything we ordered was well prepared and delicious. The housemade ricotta was a favorite. Our chateaubriand was perfectly prepared - tender and flavorful. The hamachi appetizer was very good as well. The carrot cake was very good (we took most of the cake to go, and it was still delicious the next day). We appreciated the wine suggestion by the bartender.... This was an Anniversay dinner, and the team at BMC made it a very special evening. Would return in a heartbeat next time in NY.

My friends and I came here to celebrate our wonderful friend graduating and becoming a doctor. We started off of drinks which I had a French 75. It was super crisp and refreshing. We got the special which was the Japanese Wagyu and we paired it with fingerling potatoes, brussels sprouts, roasted onions, and garlic, along with two sauces which one was white and one was brown. For appetizers, we decided to have the buffalo mozzarella ravioli in their amazing truffle sauce. That meal was so delicious and decadent I will be dreaming about it for a while. When we got our main star of the dish, the steak was cooked to perfection and the sides were absolutely delicious. We paired this meal with a wonderful red Bordeaux. For dessert we got the chocolate chip cookie skillet with vanilla ice cream and the 17 layer chocolate cake. Both were absolutely delicious. Our waiter did come out with some complementary truffles for our celebration, which was also really really good. Overall, this place is one of my favorite places for special celebrations and they really do go all out when it comes to their dinner presentation and the staff is immaculate.

The service was great, Diana was so warm and accommodating with our questions & her food suggestions. The steak was tasty and great quality (we got the 30-day dry aged strip and the cowgirl ribeye). I had a lovely solo dinner here after landing in NYC, the team is very vibrant and the vibe is very moody and even sexy, it fulfills the New York dreamy chicness. Special shout out to Shania, her service was amazingly attentive, and gave spot on recommendations, the pear salads was surprisingly good and crisp and fresh and well seasoned. The steak was juicy and generous. I wish I have bigger appetite for the duck lasagna, which is my bucket list for the next visit! ( with more friends )

Balthazar is an iconic French brasserie known for its steak frites, brunch, and pastries. After a yearlong closure due to the pandemic, the restaurant has reopened with 102 seats for outdoor dining. The charming space attracts a fashionable crowd who enjoy comfort food like Gruyere-topped French onion soup gratinee and herbaceous steak tartare from Balthazar's boulangerie next door.
Absolutely loved it here! We’ve wanted to try this spot for awhile; I’m so glad we were able to come for dinner. We didn’t have reservations, showed up at 4:40 and they told us to come back at 5:00 pm, because that’s when they begin seating for dinner. I ordered an iced tea, steak frites, mashed potatoes and creamed spinach. Everything was delicious and very fresh. There was plenty to share and the sides we ordered were for the table. I’ll definitely be back again soon to order the steak again. It was the best steak I’ve gotten in the city; it was juicy and hot. I loved it. We want to come back for brunch too; their breakfast options looked great too. There is also a pastry shop next door where you can order drinks and snacks. There was plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. I’ll definitely be back again soon.

We had a nice early dinner here on our trip to the city. The service was outstanding and the atmosphere is everything you’d expect. The food was great but did not quite live up to the expectations. We ordered the steak frites, gougeres, onion soup, ravioli, and short rib. Of the meal we would recommend the steak frites—the fries were amazing! The onion soup is also a must-order. The short rib was a bit dry. One thing to be mindful of when dining here is the proximity to neighbors, they really pack everyone they can get in here. Overall, would recommend going to cross it off the list.

I went to Balthazar on a Monday night and had such a great experience! I was seated right away and my server, Madeline, was super kind and attentive. She offered me a complimentary mocktail as soon as I sat down — it was originally a champagne, but since I don’t drink, she happily swapped it for a ginger mocktail, which was really good. This was my first time at Balthazar, and everything I ordered was amazing — the French onion soup, steak frites, profiteroles, and coffee. The soup was rich and flavorful, my steak was cooked perfectly (medium well, just right), and dessert was the perfect finish. Service was excellent — Madeline checked on me at just the right times, and I never had to look around for her. Everything was delicious, and I left super happy with my experience. I’ll definitely be back to try more of the menu!

We had a lovely early dinner here during our city trip. The staff were super friendly, and the vibe was warm and lively. The food was delicious—especially the truffle fries and onion soup! The short rib could’ve been a bit more tender, but overall everything was great. Tables are a little close, but that’s part of the charm. Definitely worth a visit!

Our plane back to NY was delayed so we cancelled our reservation and ended up at Balthazar at 11p on a Wednesday. The dining was lively and mostly full when we arrived. We were seated I a 2 top, corner booth that was perfect, and very comfortable. I ordered a gin martini that was served ice cold. My wife and I split the endive salad (I love the pickled pears), a cheeseburger with fries delicious), haricot vert (perfectly cooked and so fresh) and a caramelized and bruleed banana tart (gorgeous and excellent). When we left, well after midnight, the bar was still crowded with patrons enjoying themselves and bartenders who weren’t trying to rush them. What a nice and fun night! Thanks Keith. Also, I really enjoyed your book.

Restaurant
Delmonico's, a legendary establishment that first opened its doors in 1837, is often celebrated as the pioneer of fine dining in the United States. Originally starting as a modest pastry and coffee shop, it has evolved into an iconic steakhouse located in New York City's Financial District. Here, guests can indulge in prime cuts of beef alongside signature dishes that have become part of culinary history. Among these are the famous Eggs Benedict, created by Mrs.
7.6/10 The yellowtail crudo and crab cake actually had a flavor that reminded me a lot of Chinese food. The crab cake, in particular, was pretty unique: coated with shredded potato and deep-fried for a crispy texture. The sauce seemed to have pistachio in it, adding this nice nutty aroma. The steak was fairly standard but generous in portion. For dessert, we tried their signature baked Alaska, which had a sharp tang in the sour parts and was overly sweet in the sweet parts, plus the banana in it wasn’t to my taste. We also had the chocolate cake with ice cream, which had a rich dark chocolate coating and layered beautifully. But it became cloyingly sweet toward the end. The service was friendly, and the place is huge. You can totally feel the charm of a restaurant that’s been around for 200 years.
Ruit L — Google review
At first, the atmosphere was nice and well decorated. Food was really impressive. For appetizers, we ordered Yellowtail tartare, Kumamoto oysters, Caesar salad, Caramelized bacon and Eggs benedict. I couldn’t find any words to describe how great the food was. My brother said this was the best eggs benedict he’s ever had. For me I was impressed by Caesar salad, it was really good. For entrees, my family had Campanelle and Marinated black cod. I ordered Delmonico eye with grilled asparagus and hash browns on the side. This place is a steak house, so I don’t have to describe how good their steak was it was amazing I really enjoyed having my dinner here. Desserts we ordered Chocolate symphony and Delmonico’s original baked Alaska. The presentation was as amazing as its taste. For the service, the server was really nice and helpful with our food and drink decision. After we finished our food, we were expecting host to be more greeted or just say thank you, but we were a little bit surprised that no one said thank you, have a good night like other restaurants. But overall was great.

Yesterday I had dinner at Delmonico and it was an unforgettable experience. The restaurant has an elegant, timeless atmosphere and a fascinating history as one of New York’s oldest and most iconic steakhouses, dating back to the 1800s. We started with Kumamoto oysters topped with Osetra caviar, a luxurious and delicate beginning. The Caesar salad was crisp and flavorful, followed by the famous signature Delmonico ribeye, cooked to perfection and served with rich, savory mushrooms. For dessert, we enjoyed their classic cheesecake, which was smooth and delicious. Since we were celebrating our anniversary, the staff surprised us with an extra slice of cake, a thoughtful gesture that made the evening even more special. The service was warm and attentive throughout. If I had to mention one small detail, the bread and butter served before the meal were a bit dry and hard, but everything that followed more than made up for it. Overall, it was a beautiful dining experience filled with history, flavor, and genuine hospitality.

My husband and I had a nice birthday dinner here. Ambiance takes center stage at this iconic NYC steakhouse. Ceasar salad was good, nothing fancy. Bread basket is great. We got the Delmonico's steak and the NY strip steak and preferred the latter a tiny bit more. Do not sleep on the mashed potatoes side, they're some of the best we've had. Chocoalte dessert was good, and they surprised us with a small vanilla gelato birthday gift. Food was great, ambiance is stunning, service is top notch. Would come back for a special occasion anytime.

Reporting that the sourdough bread here is some of the best I've ever had. The baker must be praised. Wish he had his own bakery so I can purchase more of the bread. We tried the classic Delmonico ribeye. It was pretty decent. Big fan of the pommes puree and bread. dining setting was really nice 10/10- quiet, refined, but also relaxed. Great for special occasions. The baked Alaska gets lit up on fire.

Perfect elegant location for lovely dinner conversation and sublime food. The entire staff from door to meal service is exceptional. The appetizers were delicious, steak served perfectly, and dessert ended a five star dinner. If looking for a unique dining experience, here is a premier NYC spot.

While the restaurant was stunning and the food was delicious, I was left with a sour taste in my mouth around the end of my dining experience. Our waiter Angela gave my group several condescending looks throughout our dining experience and around dessert time started treating me and my friends with hostility, ruining our entire experience. However, to add salt to injury, when I paid for my check, Angela came back with an adjusted check, adding a $70 gratuity surcharge fee for no apparent reason. After being treated like peasants there was no reason for Angela to expect a tip at all, let alone the abysmal fee she decided to add on herself.

Great restaurant tucked away in a corner off Wall Street. Very old world, prohibition era charm and class. The staff was attentive and friendly, the food was delicious. I was recommended this place due to a missed flight and it did not disappoint. My steak, asparagus and crab cakes were cooked to perfection. The steak wasn’t over seasoned and the sauce was on the side to enhance the flavor not smother or hide it. I will definitely return and have to bring back my steak snob husband.

I couldn’t get into Gallagher’s for lunch so I ended up here. I didn’t even know this location existed, since I still thought the 2nd avenue location was still around. RIP. The restaurant was 90% empty at lunch. I call that a bonus because I’m not into eating with the herd. Service was attentive, friendly and steakhouse professional, less gruff than say Peter Luger’s or Keens. Their steak isn’t dry aged, it’s wet aged. Not a fan of the taste but they cook to temp well. Also, their steak is heavily salted, so you’ve been warned. Adult beverages are well crafted and $$$ ($20 +) Everything else was up and down. Their lobster bisque is very good. Burger was average. Fries- superb. Skip the cheesecake. I have fond memories of the original location when the adults in my life took me there as a young pup. It’s night and day from that environment, but that was a different time and a much different NYC. *Sigh* Note to my future self: It’s a great spot for a cocktail pit stop. It’s also great if you’re not a real lover of dry aged steak and would rather have an intimate but quiet lunch. The end.

The experience of Palm restaurant really lies in staffs' unparalleled hospitality. The decor may be dated but nothing says "Palm" like their signature steaks. My best friend and I grabbed food and really allowed the experience shape itself out. Salem our waiter suggested two steaks along with a bottle of Cabernet really set the tone for an exceptional evening. We started with oysters Rockefeller along with the classic set. Two steaks a rib-eye and a ny strip creme spinach, au gratin potatoes and spinach with cherry peppers a delightful improvisation. Its been a minute since I enjoyed food this well dressed. Totally worth a go, check it out and ask, Salem for his recommendations he will never steer you wrong.

He helped us select an exquisite wine to accompany the food. Made suggestions for appetizers and dinner. All cooked to perfection and served in timely manner. Thank you Luis for serving us last night, you made our dinner experience one of a kind.

I tried Palm Restaurant’s lunch via MealPal and was pleasantly surprised. Despite being packed in a basic plastic container, the pappardelle Bolognese was excellent—pasta perfectly al dente, sauce rich and flavorful. Palm seems to be a classic NYC steakhouse, with celebrity caricatures and old-school vibe, but it also quietly participates in MealPal, offering discounted workday lunches. It’s a great way to enjoy high-quality food at a fraction of the usual price. Looking forward to going back to try their steak dine-in.

Stopped in for margaritas — solid, classic, and exactly what you’d expect from a quintessential Midtown spot. Didn’t get a chance to try the food this time, but the atmosphere is what you come here for: old-school NYC charm, white tablecloths, and the kind of place where deals have probably been made over steak and martinis for decades. Great for a casual drink if you’re in the area.

I love a restaurant that has a good bar. The dining room may be packed, but there is usually a seat or two at the bar on a busy night, and that is a good thing. The bartenders are outgoing and chatty (although not overly so) and will most often give you better service than if you were seated at a table (sorry, truth). Great wine selection (half bottles included) and they know how to make a mean cocktail. This place is a classic and never fails to satisfy.
Lydia S — Google review
I like this place for its delicious and HUGE portion of food. My friend admitted later, the reason he highly recommended this place for dinner is because of its HUGE portion. I ordered braised lamb shank, which was not just huge, but also delicious; my friends ordered different kinds of steaks and marinated lamb chop. Our waiter recommended a bottle of red wine for us; I thought it tasted ok, my friend who claims to be a wine expert didn't quite like it. Besides the entree and drinks, you can also ask the waiter to give you complimentary cotton candy after dinner, although it's actually a dessert for kids lol. I have to say, a group of six adults had lots of fun eating the gigantic cotton candies. Decor and ambience were simple, minimalist style, which I actually like a lot.

if you are an onephile, then this is the place for you! the wine list is top notch and the value of the list ridiculously wonderful. we had a variety of appetizers with which everyone seemed thrilled and a bunch of steaks that hit the spot. it was a good solid meal with good service. the wine list/values make it a very worthwhile destination.

I've had the steak and the tuna filet. Both were very good. The steak comes with your choice of sauce and the tuna went well with the sauce it was prepared in. This is an upscale steakhouse but there's no dress code and you won't feel too strange if you're not wearing business casual. The daily special pastas are quite tasty as well, though it can be a bit expensive for something you can cook at home.

American restaurant
Bar
Nestled in the heart of Astoria, Queens, Christos Steak House is a delightful blend of classic American steakhouse vibes and Mediterranean flair. This charming eatery boasts an inviting atmosphere adorned with white tablecloths that exude old-world elegance. As you peruse the menu, you'll discover unique Greek appetizers like saganaki—pan-fried cheese—and a refreshing Prasini salad featuring crispy Romaine and feta.
My boyfriend game for the first time and loved it! The food was delicious and service was great. The servers were all attentive despite it being Valentine’s Day weekend. I didn’t get our servers name, but she had blonde hair and was super friendly. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Great atmosphere and quiet. My wife and I went during a slower time. We split some fried calamari that was fantastic. I got a porterhouse and she got the chicken. The steak was great and perfectly cooked. The chicken was good flavor but super dry. Overall I think we would go back again.

came here for a dinner and was blown away by how refreshing the arugula salad was and how the octopus was cooked. the salmon paired amazingly with the cream of spinach and the shrimps were soo flavorful. the rigatoni was out of this world and easily the best i’ve had! always have to leave room for dessert if there’s a chocolate lava cake with ice cream!! i definitely recommend for a fancy night out or even a casual meal!

Great experience! we came here for a birthday dinner with 11 people and the service was WONDERFUL. The staff was very attentive. The food was beyond good, temperatures cooked very good. Luiz was wonderful and took great care of us. 1st time here and we will definetly be back.

Social media created so much hype…this restaurant fell flat for me. Zero flavor. The best thing on the menu was the porterhouse which was grilled to medium perfection but some help was needed with added salt. The service was good and the atmosphere was descent. The 3 sauces accompanying the steak were just a waste of ingredients-bland for 2 and sweet for 1. The crab cake was mostly flavorless breading with some shreds of crab meat. I did not recognize the equally flavorless sauces. Lobster mash served as a messy slop in the lobster shell but had no strong taste of the lobster even though there was minuscule and minimal bits of the lobster.
TGO — Google review
Good was phenomenal. We had the porterhouse for 2. Cooked at a perfect medium-rare. Was extremely tender, both sides and the taste was on point. The octopus was good, just wish it was grilled without the vinaigrette. The cigars were great. The bacon and blue cheese mashed potatoes were great also. I was worried the chocolate in the Creme brûlée was going to over power it, but it was reallllly good. My only complaint is that it was my boyfriend’s birthday, I had requested good seating before hand but when we got there, we were put in the corner of a crowded room. It was a Tuesday night and saw the other room wasn’t as crowded. I wish they gave us a quieter table in the other room. But overall was great and I would return. For 2 people, 2 apps, 4 alcoholic drinks, 1 dessert and the porterhouse for 2 it was $430 including tip, just to give you an idea on price.
Jenna G — Google review
Luis was our server and he rocked our night! The porterhouse for 2 was sooo much food; im glad we have food to take home! The sauces were incredible, especially the house sauce. Asparagus was solid, nothing particularly fancy. Bacon Mac n Cheese was a Killer! The BACON WAS SUBLIME - OOOOMG Garlic Mash was so creamy and a great base for the night Price was super reasonable and can’t wait to come back!

Food is always amazing. Manager and Owner herded us in one small area - 4 tables of clients - one table so loud - you could not enjoy a nice conversation or enjoy your meal. When I asked why did you put everyone so close when the restaurant was basically empty - their reply was concerned about diners who had not yet arrived - instead of us - actual diners in the Restaurant. Make sure in your reservation you State where you want to sit. I will think twice before we return. Atmosphere and cooperation were ZERO STARS.

American restaurant
Chadwick's is a well-established restaurant with a charming, nostalgic atmosphere that serves traditional American cuisine. The steakhouse features classic decor, including high ceilings and an inviting fireplace. One must-try recommendation is the unique bacon jam sauce to accompany your meal. In addition to expertly prepared steaks, the menu offers options such as roasted Long Island duck, succulent pork chops, and a variety of seafood dishes.
Excellent old school place in Bayridge. Reasonable prices for the quality and quantity of food. Excellent duck and pork chops. Scallops and raw bar are fresh. Erica is a great server and the entire staff is very professional and courteous.

Charming old school steakhouse, hands down my go-to steakhouse in Brooklyn for special occasions. We had the porterhouse for 2, pork chop and fried calamari. Love both the entrees but will skip the calamari next time (have had better elsewhere). Overall excellent ambience, great food and easy to find free street parking on the block. Highly recommended!

Creative menu, Wonderful dining experience, servers made us feel like we were frequent guests, although it was our first time, the menu is vast and diverse, with plenty of options, many daily specials, we had sampled 3 appetizers and a salad, porter house steak for 2 and 4 different dessert, because we couldn’t decide between the great choices.. All foods are fresh, done correctly and served in the right temperature, beautiful plating and. Quiet atmosphere adds to the overall experience. I highly recommend this restaurant and bar! We stayed after closing time, and servers gave us the space and time to enjoy our meal and company.

We really liked this place! Food, service, drinks ... - Everything !!! The waiters are so caring and attentive - I was very touched. All the food is fresh, tasty, and, most importantly, everything is at the right time! This made me very happy! The price is very fair, without markups, various tips , and other unpleasant extra bait !!! Personally, when I see that we are not being fooled, I immediately give a 30% tip.

Took some out of towners here and I have to say that my experience was all positive from the valet to the host to our server and other staff that we came into contact with. We started with the grilled Octopus appetizer and the calamari and zucchini appetizers. The octopus was done perfectly tender and delicious I highly recommend it. It's not easy to get that right. They had the 40oz tomahawk special that our wonderful server recommended so we ordered that. It came with spinach and onions and potatoes. Both side dishes were delicious. Then we ordered a side of mushrooms and that was so good and flavorful. We split that amongst 4 people. They also had a potato leek soup which was so creamy and yum. Then we had dessert. Key lime, tiramisu and Chadwick's cheesecake. The tiramisu was delicious and the key lime has a lot of key lime flavor which I enjoyed. No complaints from anyone in my party. There's a reason why they have been in business for so many years. If you are around the area be sure to pay them a visit. Also to mention they have a fully stock bar and a very good wine list.

Our 1st time at Chadwicks was an excellent experience! Jonathan was super friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Our steaks were perfectly prepared, special requests were met without hesitation also the chocolate cake at the end was delicious and the atmosphere was comfortable without being stuffy. We WILL be back soon! Thank you for a great experience!

The ambience and service was great, our waiters were excellent and attentive. We happened to order seafood dishes which didn't really meet our expectations, this place is better for ordering steak and burger dishes. Dessert didn't disappoint!

This review is long overdue ☺️🙈! Amazing restaurant with above par service. Went as a graduation dinner for my son. My son loves Asian cuisine and is an avid meat eater so this was a perfect combo choice for us. Due to NYC traffic, we were going to be a little late for our reservation. Called to update and they were able to push us back 30-minutes. As a family, we had fun celebrating this milestone and it seemed like we have the restaurant to ourselves. Most of the other customers were seated outside. Food was fantastic, savory and hit all the spots to make us return and recommend to friends & family. Our server, was very attentive, fast and provided insight on things we should and did try. Was a great day in all and would recommend it to everyone.

We had a most enjoyable Sunday brunch here and loved every moment of it. The 36-oz Porterhouse steak was outstanding in flavor and more than enough for our party of four. The salads are a lovely appetizer option and can easily be shared. The spicy tuna avocado wedge salad was absolutely delicious. The staff is super friendly and can answer any question one might have about the choices of meat. There are also many vegetarian dishes which I am planning to taste on my next visit. What a wonderful restaurant to have in the heart of Williamsburg, offering an authentic Japanese cuisine. I’m so glad I discovered this establishment and will return many times. Thank you for the wonderful food!

Food was great, cocktails are awesome!! Porterhouse needs more spices like salt and pepper, it’s a little bland in my opinion. There is a surcharge if you pay by credit card and they don’t tell you about it which is kind of fishy.
Renz M — Google review
Didn't meet expectations. Porterhouse was decent but overall didn't hit the spot. Wagyu tasted like a regular medium-rare filet steak and not good portions for the price they charged (4 measly slices). Service was slow with only 1 server in a full restaurant. Appetizers were two pieces and server offered to do three but did not quote extra costs to do so. On top of the high costs, they stick a credit card fee on top of the bill that other steakhouses in the city don't do. Would not return.

With every bite I took, I couldn’t stop saying how happy I was. The cocktails were great. The ribeye and duck were super flavorful. The baked onion tasted good, but I probably wouldn’t order it again. However, everything overall was fantastic and we will definitely be coming back. Can’t wait to try the other items on the menu!

Had an amazing dinner here! The steak was absolutely delicious, and the service was great. The only downside was how hot it was inside. The air conditioning seemed to be off, and my guests and I were really uncomfortable because of it Hopefully that gets sorted soon, because otherwise everything was excellent We’ll definitely be back once the A/C is fixed. LOL!

Service is very slow. Ordered a second martini when the food arrived, and 20-25 mins later, still did not receive it. Waitress gave an excuse that downstairs is a large party, but frankly for a table of two spending over $400 on a tab, I’d expect a single drink to get out to me in under twenty minutes. This was not a great way to end the night, and the waitress continuously was hard to get a hold of as she’s seemingly manning far too many tables. Nothing done to make it right, other than an excuse and apology. On top of this: 1. Unexplainable credit card fee. Seriously? 2. Extremely loud environment, can’t hear the server and she can’t hear me. Will not return. One & done.

This place is a gem! Sit at the bar, enjoy the sake, and try something new and exciting! Maru, the bartender, made our evening! He gave a very knowledgeable tour through the sake flight - but the wine and cocktail list won’t disappoint either. We started with the “small plate for sake” appetizer, and enjoyed the wagyu sushi, the yuzu wedge salad, and chose the dry-aged ribeye and new york strip.

Arirang Hibachi Steakhouse is a popular Japanese restaurant with multiple locations in New York City, including one in Brooklyn. The family-friendly space features entertaining hibachi chefs who cook Japanese steaks tableside, creating a fun and interactive dining experience for patrons of all ages. In addition to the main hibachi room with a sushi bar, the restaurant offers two private large party rooms and Ala Carte dining at its modern Asian bar.
I went here for my little brother's birthday, and it was a great experience! We made a reservation for three, and only waited about five minutes to be seated. The main floor has a big fish tank, which kids will love. There's also a downstairs area that's quieter (though I don't think they do hibachi there) and an upper level as well. Each meal comes with soup and salad. My drink was on the strong side, but I'm not much of a drinker, so that might just be me. The hibachi chef was entertaining and funny, though I wish there had been a little more fire performance. They did the classic tricks like tossing food into your mouth and making heart-shaped fried rice, which was fun. It was a nice night out and a good place to celebrate. If it wasn't such a long trip for me, I'd definitely go back.

This is a nice fun family spot. Drinks are on point(the have to go bottles now). The food hits consistently and you get a lot of it. Although I haven't tried it, they have a nice sushi and sashimi selection. Our chef Simon put on an entertaining and engaging show. He was awesome. The staff is always moving and checking on guests to ensure great service. It’s always fun and good vibes. I definitely recommend coming here. It’s a popular birthday spot so between the table side shows and the staff singing it’s hard to not have a good time. Food: 5 | Service: 5 | Atmosphere: 5 Seating type: there is plenty of seating here. They have table side hibachi, a samurai lounge downstairs and there a seating area next to the sushi bar. Vegetarian options: there are plenty of vegetarian options Dietary restrictions: the staff is very accommodating Parking space: this establishment offers valet parking Parking options: there is street parking available Kid-friendliness: this place is awesome for the entire family, especially children Wheelchair accessibility: this establishment is wheelchair accessible

So many time I’ve gotten hibachi and asked for a medium steak and get well done. Not with Ricky, the steak was perfect the shrimp was cooked nicely 10/10. I will definitely recommend coming here and the kids get a cute chef had too.

Czech restaurant
Bohemian Spirit is a European dining establishment located in the Bohemian National Hall. It offers traditional cuisine and pilsner beer. The restaurant has a buffet-style setup where patrons can order various dishes. Situated near the Czech consulate, Bohemian Spirit provides delicious food and drinks at reasonable prices for New York City. This eatery is highly recommended by customers, including those from the Czech Republic who appreciate its homely atmosphere.
Since there’s no decent Hungarian restaurant in the city, I always appreciate other Central European cuisines. Food is great overall, some dishes can be a hit-and-miss. Czech beer on tap, slightly grumpy service (adds to the authenticity), hot goulash soup (gulyás for us) with fresh bread and I’m happy.
Adrienn K — Google review
I'm giving this restaurant a top rating even though I barely ate anything - the person who made the reservation didn't know I was vegetarian. Nonetheless I had a great time, as I love experiencing cuisines that I've never been exposed to, and this time, it was Czech food. We were a party of 7, all carnivores except for me, all drinkers except for me and my husband, and one of them is a beer connoisseur, so I learned that Pilsner, a pale lager, is the most famous Czech beer. The only option on the menu for me was a selection of salads, and I opted for one of my favorite vegetables - beetroot. Their servings are quite generous, and according to my fellow diners, the taste was impeccable. They ordered a lot of beer, and together we ordered a lot of food - salads, appetizers, mains, breads, and desserts. It's a large space, its walls covered with photos and objects of antiquity. One can definitely go around like in a museum and learn a bit about the history of Czech immigrants in New York City. If you love hearty meat dishes, exotic flavors and great beer, this place is definitely for you!

A real gem on the upper east side. The food is excellent - while we didn’t eat this trip we’ve had the schnitzel in the past. The beers are special - czechvar is a very special, hard to find lager that only select bars will get. Glasses are cleaned and served in the authentic Czech style - via Lukr pour and washed by hand, to ensure the temperature is not too hot to warm the beer and there is no soap residue. The staff is friendly, kind, inviting. This is an incredible place to eat and drink and we’re so lucky it’s right here in Manhattan!
Blake R — Google review
Came here first time yesterday evening for diner. Glad I found this place! As someone from a similar culinary and cultural background ( Poland ) it is so hard to find good, Central European restaurants in the city. The interior of the restaurant is so quirky and unique, the kitchen is downstairs, you can see the chefs preparing everything if you need to use the bathroom, which is nice, IMO. They’re not hidden in the back where you don’t get to see them. As for the food - absolutely delicious! Its heavy and hearty, so if you have a good appetite, come here hungry! I had the chicken liver pate and the angus beef gulasz with bread dumplings. I couldn’t finish it cause I was full! I had 2 slices of the dumplings ans 4 pieces of beef and I was full! The dark beer was good too! I will definitely be coming back here! You got yourself a repeat customer!
Damian B — Google review
We heard about this restaurant on social media and had it saved on our to go list for a while. We had never had Czech food and they're the only Czech restaurant in Manhattan. So, we finally decided to take the 1 hour trip and try it out for our date night. Staff was helpful, warm, and friendly. They answered all our questions and made sure we felt confident about everything. Restaurant itself was clean and inviting, the bathrooms were kept up and everything was good. We ordered the goulash, jagershnitzel, sviekova, a Czech beer, and fruit pudding for dessert. Unfortunately, both of us got pretty sick by the next morning. I'm not sure if it's just the cuisine itself since we'd never had it before and maybe it was heavy on our system or if something maybe wasn't cooked properly and we didn't catch it since we're not familiar with the dishes. I don't want to point any fingers, because we truelly don't know but this ended up not being a fun experience. I tried calling the restaurant to just let them know, but the line goes to voicemail. We're still recovering from our visit, I personally haven't been able to leave the house because it's been that bad. Not really the experience we were aiming for.
Jasmin I — Google review
When I stepped into Bohemian Spirit, I felt like I had been teleported straight to the Czech Republic. The interior design is spot on and really captures the atmosphere. I ordered a Pilsner and wasn’t given water, which actually made me laugh because it reminded me of Prague, where beer is cheaper than water 😂. I also had the goulash, overall it was good, though personally I felt it could have been a little better. Still, the experience was enjoyable and worth checking out.
Beatrice D — Google review
This is a fun place, but dinner was hit and miss. The duck confit with red cabbage was delicious, but the salmon disappointed. Service was OK at best, and it was a nice dining experience. We will probably not return, as the quality of the food was uneven. I think this might be the perfect place for a beer and a bite.
Andy S — Google review
Yesterday I ate there with friends for the third time. My grandmother was Slovak, so I grew up familiar with a closely related cuisine. Bohemian Spirit is the real thing. Three of us had the Potato and Mushroom Soup, a generous bowl, rich, hearty and delicious. My main course was Jagerschnitzel. The meat was so tender I cut it with a fork, and the mushroom gravy was indescribably good. Two of us split the Crepes for desert, which were light and filled with fresh fruit, complemented with whipped cream and a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Sinful but delicious! On a previous visit I've had the Kielbasa with a side of Potato Salad, both of which were excellent. They have several Czech beers on tap. My favorite is Brouczech Dark. The quality of the food has been consistently high during each visit. Service is courteous, but plan to spend some time here. They carefully prepare everything to order, and it's worth the wait. If you love Eastern European cuisine, this restaurant is outstanding.

Came here a while back and never had a chance to leave them a great review. Definitely any services deserve get true rating from their client. This place solid 5/5. I called this place 20 minutes before on Saturday night after some other restaurant screwed our reservations for 10 people. Right after I called this place. I asked them if I can come in with group. At the beginning a man replied sure but for when and what time. I told him right now. And I know it was with short notice my apologies. He replied how many people. I told him 10. He was like ouch, “give me a second, let me see what I can do.” After a couple minutes he confirmed he got us spot for 10 people. By the way we were driving from Queens. Service was outstanding. Restaurant was full and same time clean. Orders never been messed up. Food was 10/10 the way were ordered Highly recommend this place. Don’t forget well worth traveling to be treated like king. Thank you Tfusion. Keep the great work. Definitely you deserve my time by writing this gratitude toward your business. Finally went here after hearing many good things, Let’s start with the service, the waiter was absolutely amazing. He knew the menu inside out, even what was off the menu he knew the prices and dishes. He was super nice and professional. The appetizers were fantastic, probably the best pulled beef I’ve had, along with amazing meat platter. The steak was super juicy and cooked to perfection. The (off menu) short rib was perfect slow cooked and had that amazing rib taste. Over all this restaurant is 5 stars and highly recommended!!

Amazing end to end experience. I held my sister's birthday dinner here and making reservations (online) was such a breeze, it kind of shocked me. For food I ordered the truffle mushroom risotto and the garlic mash (I don't eat meat and didn't want fish) and loved both. They were flavored well and generously portioned. I also liked that the truffle flavor wasn't too overpowering in the risotto. For drinks I ordered the lemonana which was slushy in consistency and well balanced with the mint and tangy lemonade flavors. I also tasted the mojito b-day girl ordered and liked it as well. Plus the glasses are pretty hefty so that's a plus. My friend ordered the spinach and mushroom salad for the table and we loved the elegant combination of flavors and textures so much, she ordered another one. Same friend ordered the salmon main and enjoyed it. The portions looked generous as well and she ended up asking for a couple of dressings on the side to compliment her entrée. The birthday lady ordered the steakhouse burger and she loved it. She said the meat tasted like meat (as opposed to being smothered in a sauce or spice) and happily finished her leftovers throughout the week. That's how big the burger was. Plus it came with fries...how classy! We finished with the strawberry shortcake (huge slice) as we sung happy b-day and devoured the creamy fresh tasting frosting and moist and fluffy cake. I love that they play actual music (not suss jazzy noise) and the warm colored décor upstairs made it feel like a proper steakhouse. The service was A-1...from the sir who answered the phone for the numerous times I called to make sure everything was perfect, to the hostess, the waiters, the owner! Everyone was so amazing to us and made my sister's birthday super special.

I started only ordering apps on menus because I love tasting a variety of dishes. Their complimentary started of bread and oil was kind of sad, I wish they made it look nicer. We ordered the BBQ ribs, they were so soft and perfect. You definitely should order it. We also got the Boneless Teriyaki chicken. I was not impressed and I don’t recommend it. The gnocchi with steak was really flavorful and I wanted more of it! The Duck Poutine was also tasty. For dessert we had the churros and I found them to be too crispy and not soft enough on the inside. Overall great experience. See more on my Instagram @ kosherfoodworld

We came as a party of two and are definitely coming back with friends because we’d love to try everything on the menu, especially the dinner options which look amazing. Overall, we loved the experience! The meats were incredibly flavorful and juicy. It was a bit on the salty side for our taste but still very enjoyable. The staff were super friendly and gave us great food recommendations.

Had an amazing dining experience at Miss Ada! The sweet potato dip came highly recommended by the waiter, and it absolutely lived up to the hype—so rich and flavorful, I’d go back just for that. I also tried the salmon, which was beautifully cooked and full of flavor. While the food was outstanding, I do wish the portion sizes were a bit more generous for the price. It would also be great to see a few more dessert options on the menu. Still, it's definitely a spot I’d return to!

What a yummy brunch! We sat outside with a large group, so the traffic took away from the atmosphere a bit but the food and service made up for the cars driving by. I recommend ordering more dishes and everyone sharing so you can try more items.

Second time here and absolutely amazed again. Everything that we ordered was fantastic and I love the wine program here. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful while ordering. My partner and I sat at the bar and we can’t wait to go back:) Can’t wait to try everything on the menu.

Good food, questionable service. Nice outdoor seating area Large group, so have to take set menus. That’s fine, but they make no adjustments for vegetarians and refuse to do so. So vegetarians pay the same for a quarter of the food, which is way below the standards of any decent restaurant in New York. Staff have no idea what’s going on, and are generally forgetful. They don’t seem to know what foods contain what allergens and always have to check with the back, then are usually slow to report. Manager generally unhelpful as well. Food was mixed. Dips were lovely, halloumi OK and the cauliflower/desserts below average. Overall decent place but could improve based on above
Bhav — Google review
Cool neighbourhood spot, layout of the restaurant is lovely, feel like it would also be cool to have a bar table. Sweet potato hummus is unreal, probably the highlight of the meal. Also recommend the kofte and chicken thigh skewers and the mango sorbet nicely topped off the meal. As good value as you’ll get in any upmarket NYC restaurant, don’t miss this place!!

Meet the Meat is a charming and well-presented restaurant that boasts an outdoor seating area. This establishment specializes in serving high-quality cuts of beef, such as prime sirloin and filet mignon, alongside other delectable meat dishes. The positive reviews attest to the excellent standards maintained by this establishment. The ambiance exudes a classic steakhouse feel with its abundant use of wood accents and wine offerings. Prices are reasonable, and the service provided is exceptional.
A delightful dinning experience, attentive, friendly service, chill ambiance, relaxed atmosphere. Good price point & range, satisfying, delicious portions. Obviously, it is not a coffee shop with $13.99 dinner special, one needs to know this is on a different level. This is a great spot, for those who seek a steakhouse experience in the area. Will drop by again in opportune time.

Delicious. Came for restaurant week. Ordered. The ny strip steak medium and it was delicious. The salad dressing felt like it had a little too much oil. The tiramisu was soft and fluffy and full of flavor. Also got the lemon drop martini and it was so good!

Let me start by that AL who greeted us and was also out bartender and server(we came for a late lunch/early dinner) was the MOST amazing server. My friend had a burger(my friend said it was the best burger ever) i ordered the MTM chicken breast and and i forgot to mention i was allergic to something he calmly and very lovingly took my food back and had a whole new plate prepared. I was super impressed by this. I hate to make a big deal about it. But the fact that he didn't make me feel anything but cared for was absolutely AMAZING. I was visiting this side of Queens and my first time here. The meals were GREAT. The attention to every detail is why i will definitely be back and will also recommend this place. This is truly an amazing gem. A MUST COME TO PLACE. Ask for AL he also makes phenomenal drinks. This place is amazing

I always enjoy Meet the Meat. This was my third visit. The service, food, and drinks are superb. I have never been disappointed. I took my father for Father's Day this year and this is now his favorite steakhouse. He enjoyed this meal more than Peter Lugers!!!

Best deal in Queens. It’s hidden gem and it’s one of the best food you can have in NYC. Especially for the price, you get more than you pay for!

This steakhouse is a gem that’s hard to find but unforgettable once you do. The seafood starters were fresh and perfectly prepared, the steak was cooked to perfection, and the sides were rich and flavorful. Dessert was decadent and beautifully presented. What really sets this place apart is the ambience: warm, family friendly, and filled with genuine love. The entire staff was attentive to every table, making you feel truly cared for. From the food to the service, everything here deserves a perfect 10/10.

The menu, designed by innovative chef Zach Hess, features individually crafted dishes best paired with fine wines from their collection. The interior boasts a beautiful design with lanterns and a vibrant white color scheme, creating a tranquil environment for enjoying exotic meals.
Went for our anniversary. We put that it was our anniversary in the comments when making a reservation but they didn't acknowledge that we added anything, which was a little disappointing. Aside from that though, the food and service was great. We had the gnocchi app which had lots of meat and sauce. For dinner I got the pepper crusted steak and and the beef Wellington. The pepper steak was delicious and came with a side. The beef Wellington was also incredible but didn't include a side. For dessert we got the perfect couple, which was a hazelnut dessert and soooo good! Would definitely come back.

Very good food. The candied bacon appetizer and Ceasar salad are very good. The short rib app was mediocre at best and was dry and somewhat tasteless. The lamb chops are excellent if you like on the fatty side, and smoked ribs were very good. For drinks we got a spicy drink (very spicy) which was delicious and strong, and another sweet purple drinks, it was too sweet. We also got the brain damage shot which was very strong and tasty.

I recently dined here and overall, I had a positive experience. The food was delicious, with perfectly cooked steaks and sides that complemented the meal nicely. The atmosphere was also elegant and sophisticated, providing a great dining experience. However, it's important to note that the prices at this steakhouse were quite high. While I understand that the cost of dining at a high-end steakhouse can be expected to be on the higher side, I did find myself taken aback by the price of the meal. Despite the cost, I still believe that the quality of the food and the overall experience were worth it. If you're looking for a special occasion restaurant or have the budget for an expensive meal, I would definitely recommend this steakhouse. However, if you're on a tighter budget, it may not be the best option for you. Overall, my experience at this steakhouse was excellent in terms of the food and atmosphere, but the cost is something to consider before making a reservation.

Let me start by saying that service and atmosphere was nothing short of superb. Unfortunately, the food was a mixed bag. The desserts were great. I especially enjoyed the lemon tart I had. The steak, potato fries, and the chicken soup were a bit of a letdown. While it was not terrible, it was not great.

Pretty good place for steak! Was there for a birthday. We shared the empanadas (highly recommend, especially the ham and cheese), Green Papardelle (soooooo good — wish I had gotten it myself), Milanesa, and several steaks. Service was pretty good and it had a nice atmosphere. Would definitely try again.

Excellent food and good wine. However when the check came we were told we could not use tap-to-pay... That despite the machine accepting tap-to-pay. Explanation was that management was not happy with tap-to-pay! So even though I invited for dinner then my business partner had to pay. Simply not ok. I know of no other restaurant at this level where it is not accepted. Or rather, I guess it is a fair policy to have but then be up-front about it and tell it before first order. Simply give a bad ending to a good evening.

I visited on a Wednesday night 2 hours before closing and it was empty which was nice. The appetizers such as the burrata and the shrimp were delicious and I would order them again. I also recommend the skirt steak however the tomahawk was different from the one I’ve had at another restaurant. I was expecting the drinks to taste amazing but I wasn’t blown away.

My family and I came here for brunch and we ordered: Mixed Grill for Two w/ French Fries Chicken Empanada Beef Empanada Fried Calamari Flan Calamari is always a classic appetizer—can’t go wrong with it. The empanadas were (surprisingly) really flavorful. The meats were sooooo delicious—everyone in my family loved it. I love a choripan so I made my own mini choripan with the bread they gave us & chimichurri sauce—so delicious! Speaking of the bread… my dad asked for more bread 3 times 😂 It was so soft and just so good???!! But I gotta say we all could’ve done without the flan—I guess we were all thinking it’d be smoother and not as dense as it was. The dulce de leche was good though 😅
Tiffany C — Google review
The restaurant is small, but so cute. The waiter was sweet and patient with our questions. Calamari was good, the sauces were a little weird for me personally as I’m used to marinara, but it was freshly fried and yummy. The empanadas were also quite good, not used to them baked but it was pillowy and filled. The steak is incredibly good. Sangria on point.(the red is better than the white) I had the chocolate mouse and I wish the portion was bigger it was so good. Honestly why are you still reading this? Eat there. It’s good.

Nestled within the iconic Seagram Building, The Grill is a midcentury-style steakhouse that effortlessly blends classic American dining with a touch of theatrical flair. This vibrant Midtown hotspot attracts an array of patrons, from finance professionals to high-powered lawyers, all seeking the perfect backdrop for their business deals. However, you don’t need to be part of that crowd to appreciate its charm.
The Grill is a very Manhattan upscale power dinner type of place (fun to people watch), and we had a wonderful dining experience. The service was exceptional, as expected. The cocktail and wine menu is substantial, excellent martinis. Every dish we ordered was excellent. Of note, the crab cake starter was pure lump crab meat, pairs well with the complimentary fresh bread and butter. The Filet was flavorful and perfectly cooked, the Guinea Hen was different choice for me, I enjoyed it, very tender and flavorful. Next time I want to try the Prime Rib, it looked amazing on the trolley cart. The peanut butter chocolate for dessert was also great. Definitely an expensive dinner (even by Manhattan standards), but worth a visit, whether for a special occasion or just a nice night out. If you are unable to snag a reservation, the bar has ample seating, whether for just a drink or a full meal (dinner only).

We celebrated our first family reunion in New York here, and it was absolutely beautiful with such an upscale vibe! The food was fabulous — we ordered salads, crab cakes, vegetables, and two prime ribs (perfect size for four). By default, all prime ribs are cooked to a perfect medium rare, and they even served ours halved — just right for sharing! We started with cocktails and ended with wine and dessert cakes, which made the evening even more special. From the moment we entered to the time we left, the service and atmosphere felt like stepping into another world. Pricing is on the higher end — easily $200+ per person — but for the quality and experience, it feels well worth it. As for the dress code, it shouldn’t be a problem — just avoid shorts and athletic wear. Clean, upscale casual is perfectly fine, though you’ll also see people dressed very elegantly. Highly recommend for a memorable dining experience!

The Grill is such a special New York spot! The room is gorgeous, with the energy feeling modern and fun. Lighting is beautiful and the layout is spectacular. Service is outstanding. Everyone was friendly, welcoming, and made the night feel seamless. The food was even better than expected. The steak was amazing, with the duck and tuna being a must order. The sides are all perfectly paired with whatever you order as a main. The whole experience, the atmosphere, the service, the food, makes it one of those places you’ll remember. If you’re looking for a true New York dining experience, The Grill is it.

We went here last night for dinner after the show, and absolutely loved it. They have later reservations available, which was perfect for us. We had pasta with white truffles (they’re in season now) — so delicious. The oysters were super fresh, the steak was amazing, and for dessert we tried the lemon cake and another one that reminded me of a fancy version of a Snickers bar — both were incredible. Everything was just perfect — the food, the service, the atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back!

If you’re looking for an old school, upscale restaurant in Manhattan. Please look no further. The food, environment, and service is unmatched. Finally got to try the prime rib at the grill! It did not disappoint. Prob right up there with keens and Bowery meat company. The steaks and sides were also great. What you’ll remember is the guy using the manual grinder to press fresh jus for the pasta dish which was amazing. The vibe is pretty finance bro centric as expected for the location. Not much to complain about here it deserves a top 10 spot in your steakhouse playbook but the steak is what I remembered least. Verdict: probably not but worth the try.

An Exceptional New York Dining Experience Dining here feels like stepping into the glamour and sophistication of Manhattan in the 1960s — elegant, lively, and effortlessly refined. Every detail, from the service to the ambiance, reflects the kind of timeless hospitality that makes eating out feel truly special. The pasta à la presse was exquisite — rich, silky, and bursting with depth of flavor. The crab cake? Absolutely unforgettable — crisp on the outside, melt-in-your-mouth tender inside. And the wine list is nothing short of extraordinary — one of the most impressive and thoughtfully curated selections you’ll find anywhere in the city. This is a restaurant that defines what fine dining in New York should be. A must-visit for anyone who loves great food, great wine, and that unmistakable touch of old-school Manhattan magic.

Brooklyn Chop House Steakhouse Downtown NYC is a trendy restaurant and bar that offers a unique fusion of American steakhouse classics and Chinese delicacies. Despite its name, it's not actually located in Brooklyn, but it's definitely worth a visit for its innovative blend of old-school steakhouse cooking techniques with Asian-inspired appetizers like scallion pancakes and pastrami dumplings. The upscale contemporary decor creates a sophisticated ambiance, making it an ideal spot for special occasions.
Went for my birthday and it was the best the food was amazing drinks amazing and the service was amazing we used the outdoor dining and I really enjoyed it. Portions sizes are great the shrimp fried rice was delicious and it was enough for 2 people I also had the ribeye steak and it came with this dipping sauce that was so delicious!!! I also used them for a new year’s dinner I ordered the ribeye steak, the lobster, Pac man dumplings, shrimp fried rice and a chicken dish. Everything was top tier

I'll start with the great. Food was delicious, everything my husband and I had was just amazing. Drinks were tasty as well. The decor and ambiance of this place is cool and cozy, and the music was top tier. I unfortunately will never return because something disturbing happened after checkout. We paid up our bill and left, about 10 mins after leaving my husband realized he never got back his credit card. So we returned promptly since we hadn't made too far away to see if we could get it back and the waiter claimed he couldn't find it. Fine, we luckily have a card lock feature through our provider so we immediately locked it just to be safe. Would you believe only an hour later they tried to chard my same "lost" card $630. It was declined thankfully because we locked our card, but I couldn't believe it. What a shame!

Always a good time when I go here. They are very attentive & friendly. My son enjoyed all his food & dessert was complimentary. 🤏🏽 The chicken satay is my least favorite, no flavor and very bland. The rest of food is pretty good, but not really seasoned. the steak was tender & juicy

Top-tier experience from start to finish! I visited Brooklyn Chop House to celebrate my niece and my son’s birthdays, and let me tell you the experience was top tier from beginning to end. From the moment we arrived, the host was welcoming, and then I met Ganga, who truly made the night special for my family, what a relief. It was a perfect day, perfect time and an experience. We had a party of 8, and with large parties come certain kitchen rules. I’ll be honest, I don’t usually agree with rules like that, but Ganga took the time to explain the reasoning behind it in a way that made sense. Her respectful and thoughtful approach helped me see things differently, and I accepted the rule with understanding. She guided me through the menu and pricing options, making sure everything felt clear and fair. When you spend money at a restaurant, you want to feel valued and Ganga made sure we did. Her customer service was exceptional, and she welcomed my family with genuine care. Our server Michael was also fantastic, attentive, kind, and on point throughout the evening. Ganga, thank you for taking the worry out of my head and helping me plan something meaningful for my son and niece. I’ve told everyone about you and how amazing the Nassau location is because you’re there. The world truly needs more people like you. People never forget how you make them feel. I sincerely hope that the owners appreciate you because I sure did.

This location is located just by the bridge and several municipal buildings. It is thus convenient and also has a historical vibe to it, both inside and out. The decor is darker and not too gaudy, with brick walls showing, and a very nice bar area. You can look at Pace University across the street. The food is a bit on the bland side. They have a 40 dollar lunch menu with appetizers, entrees, and a chefs choice of dessert. I opted for the satay with peanut sauce, surprised to see such an item on the menu. They have a smattering of Chinese-American dishes for you to try. The "satay" was not really satay. It was two chicken tenders on skewers breaded in some red batter and doused in a sauce that tasted more of cheese than peanut. I think it was either fried or baked, since it was obviously not grilled like real satay. For mains, I got the chicken sandwich and fries. Fries were plentiful, but underseasoned. The chicken sandwich was large and filling. Using breast meat, it is impressive that it is not a dry sandwich. However, without the pickle, you don't get much standout flavor. Dessert turned out to be red velvet cake with strawberry drizzle, which was good. They give you a dollop of cream and it is not too sweet. When it came to service, the waiter was largely attentive but seemed to be running the floor alone, so there were times I didn't see him to change plates. The big issue that came up was payment, during which I was mistakenly charged more than 3 times what my meal was supposed to cost. The lunch is only about 40 dollars, while my card was charged 170. While the waiter assured me it was adjusted, I saw that the charge of 170 remained on my card. It was unfortunate that the staff apparently were not able to remedy this issue.

Upon entry staff was excellent, super friendly and on point. No reservation this was a random walk in. I was seated on the upper level but quickly requested to be seated on the lower level due to less of a crowd. Drinks came first followed by food. I had what I believe was a Martini and a Strawberry and Watermelon Frozen beverage. Food ordered was Crispy beef which was tasty and sweet, had the texture and taste of chicken with sides of Mash and Garlic Broc. I did get to taste the Lamb-chops which was delicious, I feel in my heart I should have ordered that. The experience was cool, the server Alex was attentive and super observant. The only con was I woke with a massive headache which is a sign of cheap alcohol. So moving forward I would request for the ingredients and add as needed. Overall the experience was 8 out of 10 and I do and would recommend Brooklyn Chophouse. I intend on returning. Sidebar you will most likely see someone there but remember they are human so give people privacy.

We had dinner last night at this restaurant. Excellent! The atmosphere is subdued with good mood music. Our waitress, Nailah was pleasant, attentive, and on the money with her recommendations. The lychee martini was good. It went down easy; but the Moscow Mule was weak. We had the lobster satay, chicken wraps and the spring rolls. I highly recommend them all. They were delicious. I ordered the Kung Pao chicken high was tender and also very good. Try it if you like spicy food.

My second time here, and….. Food, delicious. Ambience, good. Service, horrible. I mean, it takes for ever for the table to be clean, we had to ask for water cause they never offered or just refilled it, we had to ask for the desert menu but it took forever for the third server to take the order…. So to be honest I don’t even know who my server was… it is a place with so much potential but it such a bad service… we got the deserts and no spoons on the table….

Strip House Steakhouse is a swanky restaurant adorned with photos of old-Hollywood stars, offering beefier steaks and fantastic side dishes. The atmosphere is lively and fun, although there may be long waits even with reservations. Customers have raved about the impeccable service and attention to detail, as well as the delicious food. The manager Angela adds a personal touch by sharing the history of the restaurant and making guests feel welcome.
We visited the Strip House twice during our three night trip. Night one we were more than impressed, obviously since we returned so soon. Drinks were fantastic. Service was exceptional. Our waiter went above and beyond for us, even recommending things to do in the area. We got our food in a timely manner. Overall great experience. Sides are a sharing size. The cake is to die for.

Classic steakhouse vibe with some red details and pictures of "stripping" woman at the wall (to fit their name..). The steak was decent, but not more than other steaks I've had before. The porterhouse was tender, but not very juicy or super rich in its flavour. The menu said that the meat was for two, but it was rather for three. The black truffle creamed spinach was a nice side. I also had their famous chocolate cake. It was very big. Moist. But not the rich chocolate flavour I'd hoped. Some nutty tones.

Their truffle spinach is amazing!! The porterhouse steak is quite enough for two people to feel full. Their extremely large 24 layer signature chocolate cake was a little disappointing though. Not as rich as I expected, and a little too sweet for my taste. I tried both this Strip House Steakhouse and the one downtown, and this place was much noisier and busier.

Very good steak house, could walk in with no booking. Got the NY strip..now the best steak I've had in my life was at keens a few years ago where we got the fillet and the 21 aged rib eye, and this wasn't on that level. It is still very very good though. The crust on this is spectacular, the meat was nice but not melt in your mouth tender. But perhaps thats the cut. Next time I'll try a closer cut and redo this review! In either case - this is a seriously good steak.

Travelled from Canada in November, and we are STILL talking about this restaurant. Can't wait to go back. Our server was AMAZING (young man with tattoos). The interior and atmosphere were very burlesque. The food was delicious and timely - the filet mignon was one of the best steaks I have ever had. I also had the best cocktail I have ever had, called Blowin' Smoke. Our only regret is not having tried the chocolate cake. Very memorable experience - highly recommend!

The Strip House (Midtown Location) Our recent visit to The Strip House (Midtown) was nothing short of spectacular—one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. It was a guys’ night out with some friends I hadn’t seen in a while, so we decided to splurge on an unforgettable dinner. With Chef Larry in the kitchen, we were in for an incredible experience from start to finish. We kicked things off with a round of Old Fashioned, expertly crafted with top-notch bourbon, setting the tone for the night. As we moved into appetizers, our waiter Sean—who had an impressive knowledge of wines—helped us select a beautiful Napa Valley Cabernet that paired perfectly with the starters Chef Larry recommended. Appetizers: • Tuna Tartare w/ Black Tobiko Caviar – Fresh, light, and packed with flavor. • Strip House Roasted Bacon – Thick, smoky, and perfectly caramelized. • Bufala Burrata w/ Toast – Creamy, rich, and a must-try. • Brussels Sprouts – Charred to perfection with just the right amount of crunch. For the main course, we went all in with the Bone-in KC Strip and DA Ribeye, both cooked to a flawless medium-rare. The steaks had a perfect sear on the outside, a juicy pink center, and were seasoned just right. At Chef Larry’s suggestion, we tried the béarnaise and au poivre sauces—both fantastic additions to the already mouthwatering steaks. Sides to Share: • Lobster Mac & Cheese – Decadent, creamy, and packed with tender lobster. • Black Truffle Creamed Spinach – Rich and indulgent, with just the right amount of truffle. • 1000-Layer Goose Fat Potatoes – Crisp, buttery, and utterly addictive. • Charred Broccoli – A perfectly smoky and flavorful balance to the richer dishes. Sean continued to guide us through the meal, suggesting another exquisite Napa Valley Cabernet to accompany our steaks. His service was exceptional—always there when we needed him but never intrusive. What truly made the night special was the personal touch from Chef Larry, who checked on us multiple times, ensuring everything was just right. He even took a moment to sit with us for a photo and some laughs, making the experience feel personal and memorable. To cap off the evening, we indulged in two show-stopping desserts: • Strip House Signature 24-Layer Chocolate Cake – A rich, chocolate lover’s dream. • Bananas Foster Baked Alaska – A visually stunning, caramelized delight. Just when we thought the night couldn’t get better, Angela, the Assistant General Manager, stopped by to introduce herself and generously offered us a complimentary after-dinner drink. She poured us a smooth Balvenie Scotch, the perfect way to end an already extraordinary meal. This was my first visit to The Strip House, but it certainly won’t be my last. The service was impeccable, the food was phenomenal, and the hospitality exceeded five stars. I can’t wait to go back!

This meal, which was the last schedule of our 10th anniversary trip, was the most enjoyable and happy experience. Delicious steaks, side dishes, and wine were perfect. And Brian, who was in charge of us, made us shine in a more meaningful place as a celebration for us.

Chophouse restaurant
Nestled in the vibrant Seaport district, Carne Mare is a culinary gem that beautifully marries Italian flavors with classic steakhouse fare. Opened in 2021 by renowned chef Andrew Carmellini and his NoHo Hospitality Group, this two-story establishment offers an unforgettable dining experience. Guests can enjoy stunning views of the Brooklyn Bridge while savoring expertly prepared seafood, prime-aged beef, and unique dishes like Mozzarella Sticks & Caviar or Spicy Lobster Spaghetti.
We came here to celebrate our engagement and it was PERFECT ✨ The staff were all lovely, gorgeous, and so kind. We even received a copy of the menu as a keepsake 💖 Everyone really made such an effort to make the night that much more special and beautiful Everything we ordered was delicious and incredibly fresh. The mozzarella sticks with caviar were gorgeous. The lobster spaghetti, exquisite. The wine, magical. The atmosphere is also exquisite and the restaurant is absolutely stunning, with equally beautiful views of the water. 50/10 stars. Definitely recommend for everyone to pay a visit 💖✨ Thank you to everyone at Carne Mare for such a fabulous celebration<333 We appreciate each and every one of yours' efforts, hospitality, and kindness.

Beautiful atmosphere for an evening dinner over the water. The food was good—not the best I’ve ever had but very tasty. The service was exceptional, shoutout to the waitress that consistently kept my water topped off anytime I’d blink. Prices were high but definitely a good dinner all around.

The steak was absolute perfection—cooked exactly right and full of flavor. The bread was out of this world, and the summer corn was a surprising standout. We sat on the patio, which had a sunset view over the water that made the evening feel extra special. Service was attentive and truly above and beyond, making it the perfect spot to celebrate a birthday. Nearly flawless all around. I’ll definitely be back!

I want to gate keep this place, but I won't... it's amazing all around. Been here several times already and we love it. The food, the service, the decor... all 10/10. Come for dinner for your first visit so you can try the bread, then get the mozzarella sticks with caviar, after that, doesn't matter cause you'll be swooning over everything. One of our favorite spots in the city, period.

Beautiful interior that really does exude the chophouse ambiance. Service is very friendly and lots of smiles. Food unfortunately didn’t feel as top game as the price conveyed. Mozzarella stick with caviar felt underwhelming and the prime rib sandwich had too much bread. May come back for the steaks.

Beautiful location in the South Street Seaport with excellent views of both Manhattan and Brooklyn. If the weather is nice, sit outdoors. We stopped by during brunch service and the food was exceptional (especially the AC Famous Prime Rib Sandwich - best steak sandwich I've had in a long time). Cocktails were also great and the service was top notch.

We had gone to celebrate a family event. Carne Mare delivered on all accounts. The service by Nathan was top class, attentive, informative and helpful. We started with Porseco and followed it between the 7 of us with Mozzarella sticks and caviar, Lobster Spaghetti, Steaks and Egg, care Mare brunch of caesar salad, steak sandwich, French toast followed by the dessert. Undoubtedly the dishes served were full of flavour and taste. Everyone really enjoyed the dishes the weather and the views just added to the experience.

I had a really nice time here. Everyone was so welcoming and friendly this time around. The hostess was so sweet and we got seated upstairs which had beautiful views of the seaport and the boats. The decor is elevated and nostalgic. The food was incredible. I loved the polenta and the ceasar salad. I also tried the mozzarella and caviar sticks which were superb. The 17 layer chocolate cake was amazing. Victor the manager made everything so nice and our waiter Gustavo was AMAZING!!! the host was so nice and friendly and Gina the manager also made sure to make my visit very nice..

Tried out this place during the Summer Restaurant Week 2023, and it was a great way to get to know the style and food of this place, and I’ll definitely will be coming back! For $45 we got a 3 course dinner and everything was phenomenal!

The food is all good but nothing so stellar I would come back for it. Also, one of our steaks came in over cooked but the server was nice enough to switch it out for us. Monkey bread was fine but a bit overhyped, steak frites were good and drinks were solid. A decent weekday neighborhood last minute meal. But not worth going out of your way for.
Jessica S — Google review
Came here during restaurant week and was disappointed by the taste of the food. The atmosphere and decoration of the food were great but the food simply wasn't good. The flavor of the Grilled Nueske's Bacon was jarring, and the bacon was way too salty unless you paired it with the apple jelly. However, the bacon was tender. On the other hand, the hanger steak was tough even though the cook was medium rare and pink on the center. Worst of all, it had no seasoning and needed a lot more salt. The sorbet was fine. On a good note, the service was good and the waiter was very friendly.

Took my husband, SIL & BIL for a pre theater dinner. Cocktails were not memorable. Two of us had the burger, one hanger steak and one had the Scottish salmon. Everyone had an enjoyable meal. The burger was good, not my favorite but good. Dessert was awesome. Our waiter was very professional and was working hard, like almost everyone I saw in the restaurant. Not cheap but you won’t need a mortgage either.

Booked here after much research online the day before through their website. Super easy. Had a delicious meal with my wife. I had the strip med rare- perfectly done. She had the don ameche medium - perfectly done. We had the corn brulee side. Everything was great, staff were very friendly and offered us the patio or inside on our reservation. Would definitely recommend it.

Location is lovely and the outdoor seating is nicely set up. It's obvious that the food and beverages are expertly designed. Boyfriend and I were looking for a nice place to eat but hadn't made any reservations. Discovered Quality Eats by typing "steak near me" into google maps and called, no reservation was required. We enjoyed the hanger steak, he with the curly fries and I with the salad. The steaksauce is bangin with a nice heat provided by cloves; we also ordered the cajun sauce and the pouvre (all amazing) we shared a burrata appetizer and drank through the entire cocktail menu; cocktails were impeccably executed, balanced, flavourful, unique and aromatic. After several hours of eating and drinking we were incredibly satisfied and could not come to one criticism and cannot wait to go back. The prices were great and the service was a genuine, kind professional breath of fresh air. You really can't go wrong, I'll take better photographs next time :)

Despite an unhelpful waiter, our meals were quite enjoyable. The appetizers were great. The Porterhouse for 2, a $110 special that night was beautifully served but overcooked despite our waiter's warning of it usually being undercooked. I highly recommend the Brussel Sprout side dish. Don't bother with the Mac and cheese appetizer.

The Palm - Tribeca is an upscale steakhouse that offers a unique dining experience adorned with caricatures of famous personalities. The attentive and professional waitstaff ensure your glass never runs dry, providing exceptional service throughout your meal. During restaurant week, guests can enjoy a delightful menu featuring dishes like the pear salad and expertly cooked filet mignon, which boasts a perfect charred exterior. While the flourless chocolate cake may be overly rich for some, the overall culinary offerings are impressive.
This is a very good restaurant for fancy double date. We went on a Friday night to celebrate your husband’s birthday. Made a reservation first and when we arrived, they put happy birthday note on the table, which is very sweet! Also the food is always delicious. Especially the lobster. We ate the whole thing and love the service too! Will definitely recommend this restaurant for lobster fans!

Excellent dinner with new friends and family. Incredible Cabernet which nicely paired with my ribeye dinner. Nice ambiance and reasonable price for a higher end steakhouse. Everything was delicious and well prepared. I would definitely return next time I visit New York.

Solid quality and execution at a good price ($79) from restaurant week, moderately flavorful filet, very attentive on water, slightly less attentive service, dim and relatively calm quiet ambience, overall quite nice and done well (7/29/22).

Despite the circumstances, palm is living up to it’s name and I’m sure when virus days will past it will unfold with full extent. Menu got slightly smaller but nevertheless- steak came out amazing , medium well as requested. Crab cake was phenomenal and cocktails are just right- highly recommend their signature Paloma. It’s a restaurant for special occasion unless money is not an issue.

Old world top-notch service with great food, drinks, and atmosphere, can't go wrong.

The waitstaff here were very kind and professional. They never let my glass of water come anywhere near empty and they were always very helpful. I went during restaurant week and was very happy with their menu. I ordered the pear salad which was pretty good and I'm not a guy who usually goes for salads. The filet mignon was cooked very well and had this charred crisp on the outside which was amazing. The desert was not too great because the flourless chocolate cake was too rich for me.

This was an impromptu visit to this restaurant and what a great choice! From the moment we walked in the staff was welcoming and the atmosphere was upbeat. Let’s get into the food on a scale of 1-10 it was a 20! The steak, the lamb chops seasoned to perfection and tender. The Lobster Mac and Cheese was the best I EVER had! Real lobster not those tiny pieces. It’s a hidden gem.

Amazing experience all around! The food was absolutely delicious. Everyone ordered different dishes and we all had a taste of each. There was nothing we tasted that wasn't delectable! From the appetizers to the entrees. Even the drinks were strong and tasty! I'd say the best appetizer is the jerk mac n cheese. They don't skimp on the tender, well seasoned chicken but the portion size was most impressive as it was was massive! 3 of us were eating it and we still had some to take home. The only reason we didn't have dessert was because we were stuffed like Thanksgiving turkeys by then! Many of us left with carry out bags because we could not finish everything as portion sizes of the dishes are generous. Be sure to eat in the enclosed outside seating area in the back. It is lovely. Art blankets the walls, and they have a very uniquely designed stage in the back where bands and/or djs play. When there's no dj, they're still playing great music. We had a WONDERFUL time, and I've been telling everyone about it since. Cheers to the owners, wait staff and chef!! 🥂🥇🥂🤤🤤🤤

Service was not great. My friends had to ask for knifes for their steaks. They asked for medium done steak, it was damn near well done. They asked the server for the steak sauce and hot sauce, and she never brought it out. My friend was told by the server they had a loaded baked potato as a side, and it came out with no bacon. The server then came over and saw there was no bacon also. The soda machine is out of Co2, so the soda didn’t even have fizz/carbonation, all syrup and water. The first alcoholic drink that was made was too spicy, the drink was supposed to have a kick not be burning your whole throat. The Mac and cheese needed something, the flavors weren’t all there, but the breadcrumb topping definitely helped it a lot. Even asked the Dj to play Haitian song because he was playing Haitian music, he confirmed the song and said “ok”, he was friendly. He never played the song. The only thing great about here was the fries and mashed potatoes.

Food was a bit salty and my steak was over cooked, but the vibe and atmosphere was very welcoming. Everything came out in a timely manner. Service was great. Music on the back patio didn't disrupt the indoor dining. It was definitely a nice enjoyable dinner vibe. ***Beware*** 50% off Thursday requests $15 entrance fee per person. To be fair, the waiter did mention and explained about the fee before leading us to the table. I would have given them 5 stars. However, on the day of my visit, the steamed mussels weren't fresh. After completing about them, the waiter took out the order and didn't charge us for the mussels On the other, the cowboy steak and seafood kebab were delicious.

Update: went back on another Saturday night but much earlier, we sat outside this time and had a much better experience. Food was incredible and the servers were always there when you needed them. Last time we got there are 8/8:30, this time about 5:30. Lesson learned: definitely go early. —————————— Went on a Saturday night, there was a great dj/band. People were dancing and there was an all around fun vibe. Food was amazing, service was not unfortunately. We had only ordered our appetizers and no one visited our table again for the time we were there. We had to walk up to the bar to pay or bill. Ended up having to go somewhere else for our main course. Maybe we’ll try to go back again when it’s less busy and servers have more time for their tables. They don’t have a drink menu but it is also not a full bar? The server asked what I would like and I said a gin & tonic and she said maybe... Wish we could’ve stayed for our main course!

Decided to go out to eat on a Friday afternoon a little after 5pm. So I chose this restaurant. It was old-fashion & decent but was completely empty. The waiter was extremely polite & mannerly. We ordered calamari, buffalo wings, seafood boulanger shrimps/mussels/scallops/clams, & jumbo shrimps in scampi garlic sauce. All the food was served in no more than 10 minutes. I only took a video of the calamari because I was anxious to try it all. The presentation of the food was perfect & the taste of all the dishes was “okay.” Now when it comes to the prices, it’s a bit much!!! If I had to make a decision to go back, I’d rather try somewhere else.

Food was amazing and fresh! Service was great, waiter smelled amazing. We ordered soo much amazing food and got a 25% discount. I highly recommend the muscle fettuccine pasta (forgot the actual name). Their steak was cooked to perfection and very tasty, they even had some horseradish. The oysters were fresh and sweet. The lobster cooked in the risotto was great. They had this potato mushroom tower thing that you shouldn’t miss out on, another highlight of the dishes! They have a great bowl of French onion soup, the cheese is very funky and adds a great flavor to the soup! DONT forget about desert!!! The Apple strudel was to kill for! Highly recommend this place.

Donohue's Steak House is a vintage, family-run restaurant located on the Upper East Side of New York City. This old-school establishment offers a homey atmosphere with dark-wood quarters and red tablecloths, attracting an older crowd and steak enthusiasts. The menu features straightforward classics done well, such as juicy porterhouse steaks, perfectly cooked cheeseburgers, and moist scrod served with delicious sides.
Beautiful old world charm food was amazing. Drinks were great. First class service.

Great food. But no wifi, and tight booths. The steak was seasoned nicely, but it was a little burnt around the edges (too tough to be edible), especially for a medium well order. Very pricey! One steak meal with two sides and a sparkling water costed $97. But the 1950s vibe has been preserved. Overall, it was a decent spot. If you are in the area, I would recommend it.
Caressa L — Google review
Donohue’s is a rare find in a busy city that has not compromised on techniques and presentation from a foregone era that is not maintained much in this town. You could be from any decade and enjoy this experience (and many are from highly varied age groups who know a good thing when they see it.) Their burgers are quite good and the sides are tasty, although more seasoning throughout might be a plus.
Chuck C — Google review
Great experience at Donohue’s! Chris was a fantastic bartender, and the pork Chops were amazing! We’ll be back for sure.
Bear J — Google review
Excellent meal! However, you may be disappointed if you go in expecting a Smith & Wollensky–type steakhouse. The menu skips a few of the usual steakhouse staples — no ribeye, hanger, or classic sauces like au poivre or bordelaise. The steaks they do serve are very good, but I’d call this place a chop house before a steakhouse. It’s old-school, no-frills, and proud of it — the kind of spot that serves a solid meal without pretense or pomp. It’s great for a special night out, yet completely unfussy.
Kristen F — Google review
Old school cool! Red tablecloths, black leather booths, active senior citizens & camaraderie, wholesome food, attentive servers, excellent vibe! Highlights were chilled gin martini glass, large pork chop with applesauce, homemade carrot cake, and apple pie were delicious! We must protect this establishment at all costs! We learned about it from an elderly acquaintance and we will be back!

Gus's Chop House is a fantastic addition to the Carroll Gardens neighborhood in Brooklyn. It offers a wonderful dining experience, blending the grandeur of European chop houses with the warmth of casual bistros. The staff is attentive, kind, and knowledgeable, creating a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. The menu features delicious options like Sunday roast with abundant sides and unique cocktails such as the Phony Negroni. Customers rave about the quality of food, especially recommending the ribeye when it's on special.
The place has an upscale casual feel. The service is excellent, fast and attentive. The dishes are creative and delicious. The hash browns were perfectly cooked and the topping is outstanding. The croquettes didn't have a lot of fish taste, the tomato sauce was great. The burger was outstanding, juicy, cheesy, the crust was a bit salty. The cheesecake was fluffy, creamy. Would definitely recommend!
Yelena C — Google review
Food was mediocre at best. Service was fine. Spacious. Mediocre across the board. Nothing bad at all. But also nothing remarkable. Seems popular with the locals. The green salad was good. Crisp. Fresh. Good flavors. The hash browns were crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Great creme fraiche dip. The pork chop was small. You can sort of share it. The salsa verde was just okay. Not evenly cooked. One side was more tender than the other. Rather thin. A unremarkable dish I would. Very pedestrian. More like someone's home cooking. The gemelli pasta was okay. I can make the same dish at home. Just a few shavings of guanciale. Nothing bad about this dish. But again nothing remarkable. The burger we saw on Instagram was good. But it's a mix of beef and pork. The taste and texture is more like an Italian sausage. The slaw on top was good. But definitely not worth the trip to get to. Again, just mediocre food. I can make a more beefy burger at home. The basque cheese cake was a tad overcooked. I think 15 min LESS in the oven would have resulted in a more creamy center. It was a big slice but it was dry. The texture was spongy and cakey overall. Not great. The maple pie was the star of the entire dinner. It was light and velvety. There was a hint of brown butter. Not overly sweet. With a night amount of maple 🍁. The crust was flaky and crispy. The dollop of cream on top was just excellent. This was an incredible slice of pie. Service was good overall. Water was filled. Dishes were taken away promptly. The wait staff were attentive. The bathrooms were clean. But the food was overall underwhelming.

We love Popina so we had to try Gus’s. Been wanting to go since they opened up and damn they did not disappoint. The whole family loved every bite of food. We got a bunch of appetizers. We would have been satisfied just eating them. Sooo good. For entrees, the pork porterhouse had so much flavor and was perfectly cooked. Delicious. The burger was also one of the best I’ve ever had. Also, do not skip out on the desserts. As always, this restaurant group always has great wines. The wine we ordered really put this meal over the top. A dining experience we will never forget. 5 stars for value. 5 stars for service 5 stars for food.

Wow! We hosted a private reception at Gus’s and it was PERFECT. The event coordinator, Megan, was phenomenal. She was very responsive to our emails and extremely accommodating + helpful. On the day of, she welcomed our guests in early, which she certainly did not have to do. She allowed them to set up decorations and added to the vibe with their candles and votives. We ordered a family style meal of a wedge salad, focaccia, arancini, lasagna, rigatoni, steak and chicken, fries, seasonable vegetables and salted maple pie for dessert. Everything was cooked perfectly and delicious! The lasagna, steak, and pie were the overall favorites. They accommodated the kids in our party and one vegetarian with a la carte meal replacements. This was our first experience here, and we will now be customers for life.

This may have been one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. Seriously this burger is juicy and savory, the pickles and sauce add a bit of sweetness and sourness and the flavors meld together beautifully. Some fresh heirloom tomatoes as a side dish and a pulpo (octopus) appetizer with the burger for two was sufficient!

Steak house
Dylan Prime, located in Tribeca on Laight St., offers a unique take on the traditional steakhouse experience. The restaurant boasts a modern ambiance with rustic-chic decor, creating a casual yet sophisticated dining atmosphere. Guests can indulge in dry-aged beef cuts, seafood options, cheese fondue, and an extensive wine selection. Visitors rave about the delectable dishes such as the beef wellington and lobster mac and cheese, which are described as creamy and rich.
even if you are not a carnivore, this fun yet mysterious restaurant has so many delicious and decadent side dishes, you will be spoiled for choice. a great place for a big party to enjoy a boozy dinner with the quite reasonably priced magnums of wine on offer.

My date bragged about the lobster mac and cheese, so the minute the waiter came to our table we asked him to bring us an order of the side dish. It was super creamy and rich. I wasn't disappointed at all. For the entree, I ordered the marinated skirt steak that came with a chimichurri sauce to spread on top of the meat. Delicious! We didn't want to wait for a table so we sat in the lounge area, which created a causal dinner vibe.

went here on a tuesday night for a client dinner. we were there kind of early, so the restaurant was pretty empty. the porterhouse for two was awesome, amongst the best cuts of beef i have had in the city. there was wine list was good and allowed good pairing with meet. the ambiance wasn't there on tuesday...service was fine.

For a chic downtown swanky feel but yet casual, head to Dylan Prime in Tribeca. The steak is fantastic. They will cook it to your liking, in my case bloody rare. The ribeye was tender and juicy. We started with the lobster bisque. It was light and had chunks of lobster. For the table we got pork belly tots, beef Wellington, crab cakes and an accessory of mac and cheese. In all honestly, the first three were very luxurious and classy. The mac and cheese was a fail. Perhaps the lobster mac and cheese is the way to go but one would be better off without the heavy coagulated cheese they use. Skip it and use the dollars for dessert instead. Dylan Prime does a sinful three chocolate bread pudding.

This is a good, new-school steak house. Hip and modern and worth the trek down to TriBeCa. Could be good for a family gathering, a group of friends, or a 1 on 1 situation. Great neighborhood to cruise through after the meal.

still my number one favorite new york steakhouse. a little more romantic and a lot easier to get into than the big places. the fondue appetizer is not to be missed!

trendy steak is always a dangerous proposition. dylan does a decent job pulling it off, though some of the other options on the menu are actually much better than the steak itself. attitude of the servers can sometimes be unfortunate.

Service could be nicer in particular the hostess. That said food is good but had better steak in nyc. Very out of the way to get there unless you live in tribeca.
