Bar
Sunny's Bar in Red Hook is a historic saloon adorned with knickknacks that has been around since the 1890s. Despite facing challenges such as neighborhood changes, legal battles, and damage from Hurricane Sandy, it has stood the test of time. After the passing of its beloved owner, Sunny Balzano, his wife Tone Johansen secured the lease with community support. The bar offers a laid-back atmosphere for daytime drinks and features live music at night and on weekends.
19th-century maritime saloon way out on the edge of Red Hook. The building breathes history and the bar is jumping with killer live music and electric crowds. Strictly cash only as it’s always been, but the drinks are cheap. Multiple counters and outdoor spaces. This bar is a time capsule and I hope it never changes.
Cain — Google review
If you have never been to Red Hook make sure you stop by here and check it out. It’s been around forever and feels like it when you look around. The bartender was super friendly and the drinks are very reasonably priced. There is indoor and outdoor space, so choose your spot to relax and go back in time.
David R — Google review
I had heard this place was legendary. It lives up to the hype. Had a great Old Fashioned, a shot of whiskey and some kind of craft lager. The best thing about this place is the playlist of music. Classic stuff like Neil Young or 60s 70s rock and roll not that garbage hip hop, trance and rap that most places play these days. Go here and have a good time
Dominic C — Google review
One of the best bar atmospheres I’ve ever been in. I love the lights and the decor and the outdoor seating area as well. They make a great and affordable dark and stormy too.
Per S — Google review
If you haven't been to Sunny's yet, you should do what you can to correct that. IF you can go when there is live music, the back room is great. It's NYC's equivalent of a juke joint. Red Hook is like an entirely different part of NYC.
Robert — Google review
It’s old. It’s local. This is the spot. Live music is always on point. Staff is always friendly. Drinks are the right price. I enjoy it every time I go.
Nick K — Google review
Here for a wedding reception. The private event took place on a patio in the back. I enjoyed the bar service and saloon feel that dates back over 130 years
Jes J — Google review
a nice bar to relax and chat at, especially on nights where it's not too busy. (avoid friday, saturday, and sunday nights! unless you're into live bluegrass performances) the bar has an interior that is quite deep and has outdoor seating as well. we appreciated the drinks. they're cash only so make sure to bring enough! prices for drinks were around $10-14.

Bar
Bossa Nova Civic Club is a trendy nightspot in the Bushwick area of New York City, known for its tropical-themed ambiance and craft cocktails. It has a legitimate sound system and hosts underground house and techno DJs. The club has been a staple of Brooklyn's thriving techno scene since 2012, with past performers including industry giants like Jamie xx, Heather Heart, and Adam X.
Lovely audio and great music. Vibes were wonderful and so were the staff / attendees! Little foggy but I enjoyed it
Spencer — Google review
It was a vibe. The place was kinda small, but it was fun. The smoke was a little much, and I didn't like the music the whole time, but over all have a lot of fun.
Dominique E — Google review
Absolutely awful experience. The staff was not just rude—they were physically aggressive to the point that I felt threatened. A bartender forcefully ripped a drink out of my hand, something I had just paid for minutes earlier, while I was quietly leaving. I wasn’t drunk, I wasn’t resisting—I was walking out like everyone else. It was humiliating, unnecessary, and honestly frightening. They continue selling drinks minutes before closing, only to turn around and treat guests like criminals for still holding them. Meanwhile, others walked out with drinks without a problem, which made their behavior toward me feel personal and hostile. I couldn’t help but wonder if I was being targeted because I’m a woman—and because I’m Black. This was more than bad service—it was unsafe. I would never recommend this place, especially to women. Stay far away.
Carol M — Google review
It’s a great escape but u must have an ID if not Carol will deny you even on ur birthday lol but overall cool spot to get lost in music I love it
Michael C — Google review
I only came for a show so can’t speak for food. Drinks were good however. I really dug the vibe to this place and will hopefully come back soon.
Noj L — Google review
Got kicked out for dancing along a wall and a certificate fell and broke. This was after I gave it to a staff member the first time it fell. The bartenders are so disgustingly rude especially the girl with blonde hair and a hat. She told security to kick me out after I bought two WHITE CLAWS (I was not drunk ). This place was rude and hostile for ABSOLUTELY NO REASON.
Anjellica R — Google review
I really wanted to like this place but unfortunately it’s not a safe environment. On the same night, I was both drugged and had my phone stole here. I returned the next time and asked for them to waive my entry fee and was given attitude and fully denied entry to the club even after being willing to pay. I would hope there would be more concern for their patrons’ safety. Disappointing experience and response both times attempting to go. Will not be going back.
Grace C — Google review
Knowing that this is a pretty big dance institution of NYC, it was cool to finally visit. They didn’t let me down! Bartenders were nice, the spiked Yerba mate soda is definitely worth trying. DJ’s were going b2b all night and it was great. I personally liked the smoke machine, it added an ambiance. If you get there early enough, the cover is waved. Coat check was affordable (3). Overall, if I lived in the area, I would certainly be there more.

Cocktail bar

Restaurant
The Long Island Bar is a retro watering hole located across from Monteros, maintaining the tradition of a Brooklyn longshoremen hangout. After being closed for several years, it was revived in 2013 by Toby Cecchini and Joel Tompkins, preserving its beloved neon sign and undergoing an anachronistic renovation. Despite its dive-y appearance, it has become a popular spot for groups of friends, parents on a night out, and first dates.
Classic NYC bar and atmosphere - a favorite of mine!! It gets very busy but it’s completely worth it just to stop in for drinks. The espresso martini is made exactly how you’d expect- perfectly with a classic incredible taste. A fav spot for sure!
Sara R — Google review
Atmosphere: 7.5/10 Located in Cobble Hill, Brooklyn, The Long Island Bar exudes classic American diner vibes with its neon signage and chrome accents. Inside, the high-backed booths, chrome-trimmed chairs, and laminated menus reinforce the nostalgic theme. While the decor is charmingly retro, the backbar is minimal, featuring mostly glassware without an extensive display of spirits. Music volume was well-balanced, complementing the ambiance without overpowering conversation. Drinks: 5/10 Recommendation: Improved Pendennis Club The cocktail menu is concise, presented in a simple, laminated diner-style format. Drinks leaned towards the sweeter side, lacking depth and complexity. Presentation was basic, with standard glassware, no coasters, and minimal garnishes. Service: 6.5/10 The staff was friendly and attentive throughout the visit. Water was only provided upon request. Prices were slightly below average for New York.
Anton S — Google review
All anyone wants to do is fit in at a place like this. Asking for a window bar seat felt a little like I was putting them out, but food was great, drinks were amazing and we will be back to see if we can get a smile and a thanks for coming in. Didn't want to mention that we'd been there before they were born, probably. There to celebrate an empty nest and it was perfect on a steamy day. I'll try to endear myself to them next time.
Heather K — Google review
Fantastic. Excellent service & food. Great staffs, respects their customers. We both ordered L.I. Burger w/bacon + scotch soda highball. fries were out temporarily, replaced with chips Highly recommend!
Mandoo M — Google review
Long Island Bar is perfection. The food hits that sweet spot of comforting but inventive, and the drinks flow so easy you lose track of the decade you’re in. Part of me doesn’t even want to write this because I don’t need TikTok mobs storming our neighborhood gem. Start with the cheese curds and pretend you’re balancing them out with the gem salad. The deviled eggs are a must, and the burger never misses. Even the white Negroni, glowing radioactive yellow, tastes like it was invented here. Every detail is dialed in and the bus boys somehow always know when you are done even if their are fries left?? How?? It’s the kind of place that feels like yours the moment you sit down. No gimmicks, just timeless perfection. Easily the best restaurant in South Brooklyn.
Hannah B — Google review
authentically timeless, long island bar is refreshingly frozen in simpler times -- terrazzo floors, neon lights, spinning bar stools -- the same design since opening in the 1950's (which includes no reservations). just timeless charm and damn good food LI burger is the move: two dry-aged patties, gooey house-blend american, a tangy fancy sauce, and a bacon wheel lookin like a red onion. Sneaky how good it is -- only gets better with each bite. alongside fries with a golden crisp buzzing and full of energy, long island bar is the foundation for any perfect night in cobble hill (ultimately ending down the street with karaoke at montero's until late night). cobble hill doesn’t have many institutions left. this one’s the real deal fun fact: ramon montero, original owner of *both* LI bar + montero's, kept these businesses in the family for 50+ years (his son joseph ran montero's + daughter emma ran LI bar)
BURGER T — Google review
Really busy local spot - can be a wait for table/bar space. The burger is excellent, well worth it (and starting to appear on some lists), the martinis are great too. Really friendly barstaff too
Daniel F — Google review
Drinks were good (martini was 10/10) but service was not good. Very hostile bar service and seating was limited.

With its eclectic lineup of shows such as Dirty Circus, House of Vogue, Glitterbox, and Black Magick, House of Yes provides an unforgettable experience for visitors seeking entertainment in the city.
WOW! I don’t have words to describe how much fun this place is! We are from out of town and wanted something fun to do and I am so glad we found this! The shows, people atmosphere were amazing! Definitely recommend if you are looking for a fun time! We bought the table tickets with alcohol included which was awesome! Service was awesome!
Courtney P — Google review
House of Yes, located in Bushwick, Brooklyn, is known for its vibrant atmosphere and events. Parking in the area can be challenging, especially during busy nights or events. Street parking is available, but it may require some searching for a spot. It's advisable to arrive early if you plan to drive. The surrounding area is urban and eclectic, with a mix of warehouses, art spaces, and residential buildings. Public transportation options, such as the subway, are also accessible, which can be a convenient alternative to driving. Overall, while parking can be tricky, the lively neighborhood offers a unique experience. Nestled in a former ice warehouse, House of Yes is a vibrant and funky venue that brilliantly showcases an eclectic mix of dance, circus, theater, and cabaret performances. The atmosphere is electric, drawing in a diverse and enthusiastic crowd that adds to the overall experience. While the long queue to enter can be daunting, reservations are highly recommended to secure your spot in this artistic haven. Inside, you'll find a captivating array of talent, with various performance groups taking the stage to dazzle and inspire. The outdoor area is a delightful escape, perfect for mingling and enjoying the lively ambiance. The drinks are consistently crafted to perfection, enhancing the overall enjoyment of the evening. While the customer service could use a touch more warmth, the incredible performances and vibrant energy make House of Yes a must-visit destination for anyone seeking a night of unforgettable entertainment.
Roy S — Google review
Went for Bratland which was a once in a lifetime experience, unfortunately wish there were more dancers here but the venue does an amazing job providing just an absolute one of a kind atmosphere, the sound system is great, the patio is super fun, and overall it's just a very inviting space that did feel pretty safe for how many people there were. Queer spaces like this are just so important.
Chase E — Google review
House of Yes isn’t just a venue—it’s a state of mind, a glitter-drenched fever dream of queer joy, radical self-expression, and performance art that swings from the ceiling (literally). If you walk in expecting a traditional night out, prepare to be lovingly and fabulously corrected. From the moment I entered with a friend, it was clear this place plays by its own, very sparkly rules. The first room was more of a whimsical prelude than a line-up zone: drinks flowing, people mingling like old friends at a costume party, and a gloriously casual pile of pillows where you could recline like a disco-era Roman god. And yes—there was a tarot reader, naturally, because no true evening of hedonistic joy is complete without a stranger telling you your moon energy needs grounding. Once the main room opened, things escalated—in the best way possible. Performers appeared everywhere: on stage, above our heads, behind the crowd—acrobats, dancers, aerialists, all oozing talent, glitter, and just enough danger to keep you watching with your mouth open and your drink clutched tightly. It wasn’t just a dance floor—it was a full-blown immersive experience. The music kept the energy up all night: infectious, thumping, and curated to make even the shyest feet consider their moment of main-character glory. The crowd? Pure magic. Full of respectful, expressive, and joyful people, the kind of fellow partygoers you dream about meeting in New York. Everyone was there to dance, to celebrate, to vibe—not to posture or preen. What makes House of Yes so special is that it’s not just a nightclub—it’s a celebration of freedom in all its forms. Of identity, of movement, of art, of joy. It’s campy, chaotic, oddly intimate, and—somehow—profound. In short: if you’re craving a space that feels like Studio 54 met a circus in a utopian queer commune, House of Yes is your new church. Bring an open mind, comfortable shoes, and a healthy appreciation for sequins.
Katherine N — Google review
Very different and fun bar/circus to go visit. It´s a different show than what you could probably see in the rest of the world but Amsterdam. Show varies so I can´t talk for other shows, but ours was very sexually artistic, nothing straight of course, highly acrobatic, and one comedy slot that was SO funny. Drinks are expensive with very little alcohol. I believe there are a bunch of cool features I didn´t get to see, but there´s a lot of back-rooms and stuff. The area is awesome too.
Daniel L — Google review
it was my second time at house of yes. the place look’s fun with creative dancers. love there music selection and dj. the place is full of art and everything there is shining and sparkling. fun place to hangout on weekends and party. i would recommend booking there event tickets early as they sold out soon.
Grishma K — Google review
We had a good time. The place was packed with a lot of people that had a lot of energy. Not really the type of place I would normally go, but the bartenders and staff were friendly and everyone seemed like they had a great time.
Jeff K — Google review
I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience at House of Yes was genuinely frustrating. I purchased VIP tickets for the circus show, expecting a seamless evening — instead, it turned into a huge letdown. The show itself was fine, but after it ended, my group was denied entry to the after-party, even though access was clearly advertised as part of the VIP experience. Staff were dismissive and unhelpful, offering no explanation or compensation. For the price, the service was shockingly poor — disorganized entry, unclear communication, and a general attitude of “not our problem.” I’ve been to House of Yes before and always loved its energy and creativity, but this experience felt careless and transactional. Definitely not worth the VIP cost, and I won’t be returning anytime soon.

The Elsewhere team made the night seamless and special for our group. Arianna, Francisca, and Lee were amazing to work with: flexible where needed, present, and kind the whole time. Huge shout-out to Lee, (SECOND PHOTO <3) who handled security for our section. Professional, attentive, and made sure everything ran smoothly for our group. He was so incredible. The space, the energy, and the support from the staff made it an unforgettable night. I had a great time at Elsewhere! The atmosphere was lively and the music was excellent. I appreciated how professional and attentive the staff were.. it made me feel safe throughout the night, which isn’t always the case at busy clubs. The rooftop was a highlight with a nice vibe and fresh air, perfect for a break from the main floor. That said, there’s room for improvement. The bathrooms could honestly have been a lot cleaner, and the stairs leading up to the rooftop felt a bit dangerous something to be mindful of if you’re wearing heels or if it’s crowded.. or very tipsy. The metal stairs are also outside. Overall though, a solid spot for a night out and I’d come back again.
Michael B — Google review
The service was fast and accommodating, the atmosphere was terrific, and the music was amazing. I felt a lot of love on the dance floor. It was extremely inclusive, and I can’t wait to go back. I went to a Papa Juice party, and the vibes were exceptional.
J A — Google review
It was my first time at elsewhere. It was pretty sick. We were on the rooftop. Glad it’s covered up for an outdoor show. The view of the city is cool and the sound is great too. You think it’d be terrible but since it’s a smaller venue, it works. One thing you have to be careful about are the stairs. When the show is packed, you might get pushed down. There aren’t really any barriers. Here’s hot mulligan

This review is about sustainability! By 2050 there will be more plastic in the ocean than fish. And over 95% of the plastic that we tried to recycle does not actually get recycled, but ends up instead in landfills, incinerators, and our waterways. I was sad to see the sale and consumption of so much single used plastic here at elsewhere, when here for a show the other night. It felt like a lot of cognitive dissonance, as we overlooked NYC rivers in the distance, and listen to musicians who were talking about their emotions regarding the environmental crisis. as a business in a waterfront city, I hope you can reconsider how you utilize plastics. By now, there are plenty of other, better options. At the least, you could have a water refill station with real reusable durable plastic cups. And a bin to collect them. Kind of like what House of Yes does. Or you could have a water fountain people could use. Or you could sell aluminum canned water. As aluminum is infinitely recyclable. You could also cease the use of flimsy single use plastic cups for draft beers, by similarly using durable cups for beer. I opted to get canned beer so I could avoid plastic, but I’m sure many people don’t even realize the necessity of that distinction when making their order. Thank you for considering my feedback. I want a happier and healthier New York, and I want to support venues that are helping us to get there. We can’t wait anymore to solve the plastic pollution crisis. Lovely staff, lovely venue, and would be even lovely without all the trash created in a mere three hour show.
Sheila — Google review
I have seen two shows at this venue so far, it’s extremely nice! The bartenders are great, the security is responsive, and the bathroom is clean. They host a lot of events, and are some free, so I’d recommend this place to anyone seeking a fun night out with live music :)

The music venue you think of when you are looking for the big city vibes. With 3 floors, a patio, and an outside rooftop you've got space to feel the music. Great sound and spectacular light effects for an immersive experience. My wife and I had a fun time and enjoyed the various rooms, DJs and the effects.

Spectacular venue. Saw Effy on the rooftop. It was organized, secure and easy. Plenty of free parking on the street. The staff at the beginning were chill. Checked ID’s and did security efficiently. At the venue, I did not feel out of place. Crowd was mid 20s to early 30s. The rooftop was nice, they did a good job with setting up smoke as ventilation. Bar staff were quick and friendly. Made drinks strong and pleasant. Staff around gave helpful instructions to the bathroom. Bathroom was clean. Definitely one of the better venues out there. You’ll have a great time here :)

Public Records is a hi-fi record bar in Gowanus, Brooklyn that offers food and drink options along with an intimate performance space and a vegan cafe. It is one of the renowned venues within New York City's dance music scene, attracting artists from around the world. The city hosts other popular dance-music clubs like Bossa Nova Civic Club, Paragon, and Good Room in different neighborhoods of Brooklyn.
Great vibes, outstanding cold brew, and friendly staff. Public Records is an approachable and upscale hangout vibe for the culturally curious who also appreciate specialty coffee. The outside may be brick, but the inside is hip. The once animal shelter is now a green and chic coffee chop, restaurant, and bar. It’s spacious, plant-filled, and industrial-chic with background beats bopping from the bass-heavy sound system. Patio, plants, and presentation room with presence. Join the welcoming and eclectic mix of customers in one of the many seats simmered in natural light. The drip coffee is a subtle and balanced light/medium roast from Ethiopia. Highly drinkable, and approachable for those dipping their toes into coffee without milk. The cold brew is the clear standout. It’s delicate, light, and refreshing; perfect for a spring or summer day. Smells like a tropical, guava cocktail, and makes me feel like I’m on the beach. It’s hard to leave this place! Drip coffee score: 4/5. Everything else score: 5/5. Overall score: 4.5/5.

I was here for an event to listen to a new record that was being released tonight. It was a bit confusing once we arrived… there’s a restaurant, a club downstairs, a lounge/listening room upstairs. We initially went inside the restaurant and were told to go wait outside until a black door opened. When it opened, we stood in line to get our tickets and IDs checked but were told by the staff that we were upstairs, so we had to go back outside and enter another black door. We ended up going upstairs to the listening room that had a small bar in the back. It’s a nice area; brightly lit during the day but intimate once the sun sets but extremely hot inside (they only had the windows open). Got a couple of beers (from Threes Brewing) to drink while listening to the entire record. It was pretty cool since the artist, Eliana Glass, was sitting right next to us since her friends were sharing a table with us. We didn’t realize it was her until we overheard their convo. She ended up performing a couple of her songs live. Definitely an interesting experience that we would have no clue about if Spotify hadn’t informed us of the free ticketed event.

Went here for dinner, wonderful inventive vegan menu that was tasty for me (non vegan) and vegan girlfriend. When you enter for dinner or just a walk-in drink, coffee, etc,. I love the magazine area and small record store at the front. Labneh and celeriac skewers on current dinner menu were both fantastic. Wonderful vibe, great selection of music playing, server was delightful, would recommend. Only note is someone will probably inevitably turn their phone light on while you are dining. Would return!

This is *the* spot. Insanely good vibes. Vinyl playing. Cool people working. Coffee + pastries available when you walk in OR you can get seated + order a full meal. We came on a Sunday for brunch. Menu was 10/10. Will def be back. Apparently it turns into a club at night. 🫡🤞🏼✨🪩

What a cool interior and pricey menu for fancy vegetables! The entrance gives off a record label vibe. The interior gives off cool, Brooklyn, artsy, plant vibes. All the dishes had beautiful presentation. We ordered four plates to share between two people.

Fantastic restaurant with the loveliest ambiance. I came for lunch on a Sunday and was blown away by the menu. The dishes are creative and seasonal. I got the tofu burrito, which left me in awe. The ingredients were simple, but were put together thoughtfully. I tried the rosemary pumpkin spice latte, which was an elevated take on a drink that tends to be overdone. This was amazing and I’m already craving another one. I would trust anything they have on the menu to be incredible after this experience. Highly recommend!
B — Google review
If I were rating the food alone, it would easily be five stars. The chef is exceptional—everything my wife and I have tried so far has been outstanding. On this visit, we came for brunch and enjoyed the labneh toast, the fried mushroom sandwich, and one of my all-time favorites, the Hokkaido French toast. The labneh and French toast in particular were perfectly balanced, with every ingredient complementing the next. Unfortunately, the service was a completely different story. On our previous visit, we were helped by a male server who was friendly, attentive, and offered great recommendations. This time, however, our experience was the opposite. Our server—a woman wearing glasses and a bucket hat—barely engaged with us. After briefly stopping by to ask if we were ready to order (we weren’t yet), she disappeared for a long stretch, even though the restaurant wasn’t busy. Once she finally took our order, the food arrived quickly, but she never checked on us afterward. When we finished, she dropped the check on the table without a word, avoided eye contact, and returned only to collect the cash we left—again, silently. There was no “How was everything?” no “Thank you,” not even a simple acknowledgment. The whole interaction felt cold and robotic, which was especially disappointing given how warm and thoughtful the food itself is. We still left a 20% tip out of habit, but frankly, the service didn’t merit it. Hospitality should be about more than a curated aesthetic—it’s about making people feel welcome and cared for. Sadly, that was completely missing from our experience today.
Julian F — Google review
I rarely say this, especially while I’m still at the restaurant, but I will definitely be coming back — and I want to show this place to all my friends. It’s truly a fantastic spot! I loved every dish we tried. The staff was incredibly welcoming and friendly, the ambiance was wonderful, and even the background sounds added to the charm. There’s just one thing that needs improvement: the toilets are overloaded and have a strong smell.

3 Dollar Bill is a vibrant and lively late-night gay bar located in Brooklyn. The venue features high-tech amenities, simple decor, and diverse performances. With an efficient bar at the front, a spacious dance floor with two stages, and an outdoor patio area, this spot offers plenty of entertainment options. The colorful lights against the exposed brick walls create a dynamic atmosphere for patrons to enjoy.
This is a very fun club-space with a spacious smoking area. The crowd is definitely one of the most chill that I have encountered. I like that they wait until 4:00AM to let you chill after the show.

Are you here for the party in front? Party in the back? Or is it the party in the yard? So many options! I’ve been here for parties and shows, and it’s always been a good time. There’s a snack window in the outside section. And usually a frozen cocktail or two.

Super fun experience, was only in NYC for 2 nights and I'm glad we made the trip to this bar it was sick to see some DJ's. Beware of little heavier set bar tender with facial hair, he didn't think we'd notice him automatically add 20% gratuity to a bottle of water before charging us.... not cool. Other than that, had a great time.

Came here for a Dark market. You can find jewelry, clothes, candles, prints, local crafts. All of this inside of a bar. Cool chill vibes. Nice way to spend a Sunday.
Andrea P — Google review
I've been here for several different parties (Halloween, New Years, Drag Shows) and have really enjoyed how spacious it is. Depending on the event it can get crowded but the dual level aspect of the venue is very good with allowing you space to move around. As always, some DJs are better than others but the overall vibes are great from staff and the type of crowd.
Ryan F — Google review
Always great shows here in this amazing venue. The venue really is amazing, the layout is great, the stage room with top-class speakers, food just outside the back door, cloak room, and the massive back yard - it has it all. Everyone who works here is fantastic and extremely kind and positive. Together they create a very safe space for everyone to enjoy themselves, and I can definitely say I had a brilliant night here in 3DB. It’s obvious the venue is really well looked after, and I’ve heard the Halloween decorations are amazing - can’t wait to come back to see them, and plenty of times before then too!

The girl in front of me was verbally harassed by the bouncer, who told her to walk through the metal detector four times, and each time would yell at her to “WALK NORMALLY”. This was not helpful since she was obviously walking. He then yelled in her face with derogatory language, making her cry before even entering the bar. This makes the environment not fun or safe, especially when you’ve already bought $60+ tickets to go in for a fun, inclusive night.

Good Room is a trendy nightclub in Greenpoint, New York City, known for its chic styling and lively atmosphere. The venue hosts a variety of DJs and concerts, attracting both local and international artists. Alongside other popular dance-music clubs in the city, Good Room has solidified its place as an integral part of the vibrant dance music scene in New York. With its resurgence after being burned down a few years ago, it continues to draw crowds looking for an unforgettable nightlife experience.
Great place to dance to EDM. People are there to dance, not talk, so it’s excellent. Very dark, very loud, lots of haze in the air, outstanding DJs play here regularly. Drinks are not great, but they are served quickly, which is all that matters, since you are here to dance. Line is pretty long, always, even if you have tickets, but the tickets are cheap, so you don’t feel too bad about it.

Great fun place. Have not been since 2020 but I do miss the DJs that did vinyl only in that back area. hopefully they still do that!

Great spot with 2 dance rooms that feature different vibes every night (good room & bad room) drink prices aren’t crazy and the sound system is good. I personally prefer bad room but it can get pretty steamy in there. This place is a Greenpoint institution it will outlive most others. It can get pretty packed and difficult to dance in there though. It’s a great time if you go when razor n tape takes over.

This place is crazy! Always a good time. I frequently visit the Bad Room & usually think the DJs in there better suit my enjoyment style. Also if lights bother you, it’s better to be in the Bad Room. In any event it’s a great place to go to see multiple DJs and experience multiple dance floors in one night. If you ever see Extra Meesh on the bill… Pull Up, it’s gonna be fun !

Mood Ring is a trendy bar in Brooklyn that offers a unique experience with its dimly lit ambiance, astrology-inspired cocktails, and rotating DJ sets. The bar features crushed red velvet booths and hosts various events like queer dance parties, making it a popular spot for young millennials. Additionally, Mood Ring's Instagram-worthy interior with LEDs and themed cocktails based on astrological signs makes it an ideal place to capture memories.
Such a cool place with a friendly staff and a lovely crowd the night we were there. It was a sold out event and I wish the dance floor was three or four times as big as it is, but everything else was exactly as I hoped for. Even with a full house the drinks came quickly and I loved the Tony Leungs.
Adam I — Google review
Had a mostly ok time at Mood Ring, although some of my friends would disagree. The person collecting the cover charge, which was 15 on a Friday night, had a weird attitude towards my friend, which soured the tone at the start. The aesthetic of this place is lovely, and I would consider coming back for that aspect alone. But the vibe was dead!! No one was dancing on the dance floor and the ones who were moving were only swaying mildly. The drink I got was tasty, but definitely did not have a lot of alcohol, and the bartenders were kind of clumped up chatting to each other, which did lead to some lapses in service. Overall, I would try going to this place again, but this was simply not it!
Altan T — Google review
Two of my friend's had their phones stolen here, along with one other person. The bouncer tried to gaslight my friend into thinking it wasn't stolen and that we just misplaced it. He tried to make us turn onto each other. Yes, the astrology virgo special was good but it's not worth it. DON'T GO HERE!!
Karsten B — Google review
$10 drinks, reasonable cover, and immaculate vibes. The decorations are cute, the crowd is diverse, and the music is always unique. Mood Ring has consistently been my favorite place to go on weekends.
Bridget S — Google review
Went on a Thursday night and arrived around 10:30-11PM. Smoky room with red and green and blue lights in the dance room at the back. The light changes were kind of bad lowkey. It was disco night and the music was mid. The crowd was actually dancing at least and not just jumping or awkwardly moving ever so slightly. I still had a good time because I always have a good time dancing. The bathroom was good. Enjoyed the water in real cups instead of plastic ones. Too loud to talk indoors tbh. The outside seating tho it’s a little sketch and there is so much smoking going on—it gets in your nose. Spent $10 on the cover fee.
Shay L — Google review
My friend’s phone got stolen here and the bouncer tried to gaslight her into turning on her friend that was with her saying they could’ve done it. Also asking weird questions like “Is your password on your phone easy?” Bouncer had to be in on it because who asks that? DO NOT GO HERE.
Maya M — Google review
I got my phone stolen here during their southeast asian night event :/ When I went outside, I found out that two of my friend’s friends also had their phones stolen at the same time. In total I heard about 8 people got their phones stolen. The people here didn’t really do much to help us out besides saying that they would keep an eye out for it. Didn’t feel like they cared about all the people who had their phones stolen besides making an announcement telling everyone to be careful… Thought this was supposed to be a poc safe space but it felt like the complete opposite, my first and last time here!
Andrea K — Google review
Googles address brings you to the back entrance, walk around the corner to the front. GREAT drinks at a great price. Chill environment in the back and great dance floor to the back. The people make the place that much more enjoyable, no one is pushy or obnoxious. Everyone is just there for a good time.

Oyster bar restaurant

Bar
Maison Premiere is a charming spot in Williamsburg that combines the ambiance of Belle Epoque Paris, old French Quarter New Orleans, and modern-day Brooklyn. The establishment offers precise service and a nostalgic atmosphere that transports visitors to another time. Known for its extensive cocktail list featuring absinthe-focused drinks, seasonal concoctions, and a well-curated wine selection with an emphasis on traditional French wines, including an impressive array of grower Champagne, Muscadet, and White Burgundy.
The garden courtyard is one of the most charming dining settings in Brooklyn — peaceful, filled with greenery, and thoughtfully designed. It’s easy to lose track of time here. The oysters were a highlight, especially the Ichiban, Mintersweet, and Black Magic. They were fresh, sweet, and clean — exactly the style I prefer. The seafood dishes were also excellent. The lobster roll was buttery and soft, paired nicely with the house-made chips. The crab toast was light, fresh, and well-balanced. The cocktails were beautifully presented and thoughtfully crafted, with bright, clean flavors and creative garnishes. Service throughout was attentive, kind, and knowledgeable without ever feeling rushed or scripted. Maison Premiere delivers on food, drinks, and atmosphere — I’d absolutely recommend it for anyone looking for a relaxing, quality dining experience in Brooklyn.

Maison Premiere is truly a treasure. From the moment you walk in, you’re transported to another era—The ambiance is intimate and romantic, perfect for a date night or special occasion. The oysters are incredibly fresh with a wide, carefully curated selection from both coasts. The presentation is thoughtful, we paired up with a good champagne. Service was impeccable—attentive without being intrusive. Claudia- Our server made us feel genuinely welcome. This is one of those places you’ll find yourself thinking about long after the night is over. If you’re in Brooklyn and love oysters, champagne , and ambiance that makes you feel like you’ve stumbled into a timeless classic, Maison Premiere is a must.

This oyster and wine bar truly surprised me! Even though I couldn’t drink because of some inflammation, I couldn’t resist coming here with my friend just for the oysters. Ambience: From the outside it looks like a small bar, but once you step in, it’s a whole different world. The décor is pure 1920s vintage style, and all the staff and bartenders are dressed in retro outfits—so stylish! The backyard is absolutely charming, to the point where I even thought, “I’d love to have a wedding here someday.” Food experience: We ordered the oyster platter and tried every kind they had. To my surprise, the smallest oysters (I think the third from the last) turned out to be the most delicious—absolutely amazing! And I have to give a huge shoutout to their sourdough bread. It was chewy, moist, not dry at all—honestly even better than the Beef Tartare it came with 😂. When I told the staff, they mentioned they recently got a new chef, and the bread actually comes from a bakery just 8 minutes away (something like “Woof”). Either way, it was fantastic. Music & vibe: The whole place was filled with funky jazz from a century ago, and it made me just want to dance. The vibe is perfect for dates, nights out with friends, or simply taking beautiful photos. Sadly, we ordered too much and couldn’t try the desserts this time, but I’ll definitely come back for them! 👉 In short: A hidden gem with amazing oysters, unforgettable sourdough, a romantic 1920s atmosphere, and music that makes you want to dance. Highly recommend!

If you're a fan of oysters and absinthe, this spot is a must-visit! They offer an impressive selection of oysters and cocktails that never disappoint. The lobster is also a standout, packed with flavor and perfectly prepared. While we've never sat down for a full meal, we always make it a point to stop by for a quick drink, and it never fails to impress. Highly recommend for anyone looking to enjoy fresh seafood and expertly crafted drinks!

Had this place saved for a while and finally booked a weekend afternoon spot. Went for the garden seating but had to switch inside after getting bug bites. The vibe inside was cozy with live music, which made a great impression. We ordered a cocktail, a whiskey soda, and oysters, fresh and tasty like an oyster spot should be. Left feeling pretty happy with the whole experience!

Up there with the best restaurant experiences I've ever had. Fresh high quality oysters! This place delivers a superb gastronomical punch and it has a very cozy tropical garden to go with it in the back! Pretty romantic spot! Influenced by New Orleans cuisine. Radegast Hall & Biergarten is a lively and expansive beer hall that serves up a great selection of brews, schnitzel, and live music. It's known as a social hub in the city, where strangers easily become friends. The restaurant section offers a full German menu while the beer hall section allows you to order wursts, kraut, and fries at your leisure. This indoor-outdoor beer garden is always buzzing with activity and features frequent live bands for entertainment.
We were in Brooklyn for just 4 days and went here twice. First time we had already eaten but the food looked so good we went back. Great vibe and even more amazing staff. Great beers on tap. We have been to Belgium and have also had our fair share of German beers on tap but this place has ones we have never seen on tap at least in the US. The servers know their beer which was awesome. Also there were no kids and apparently there are days where they don’t allow kids. When we are drinking beer we appreciate this. Would highly recommend this place

First time eating here. I love the covered outdoor dining hall area! Our waitstaff was new and it was rare that they stopped by the table to check on our needs. The grill staff was not readily available when one of us wanted to place an order. Food was good overall. The atmosphere is a winner. I would cone back and try again.

We have been to Radegast hall with friends for the first time. Much European vibe. Among very few places you may find weissbier/unfiltered wheat beer, and almost felt as I was at a bier house in munich. Has indoor and outdoor seating. Good food, I recommend pretsel with bier chese and sausages, bier is more reasonable by pitcher. I chıse Fransiskaner white beer, one of my favorites. There was also live jazz music indoors, also audible from outdoor seatings. I recommend here

Sean & the Radegast team, Thank you so much for an amazing night. You truly executed the vision and surpassed any expectations we had. All of my guests had compliments on the food, cocktails, and of course the huge selection of beer! The atmosphere was nothing like any other wedding guests had been to. It was intimate, fun, and romantic. 💗
Vanessa S — Google review
This is a great place to hang out and have a meal with friends. You can try a variety of dishes and sausages — their sausages are excellent, and the beer is refreshing. The other food is also quite good. The only downside is that it’s more like a self-service restaurant, as there aren’t many waitstaff, and you have to go to a separate counter to order the sausages.
F T — Google review
Food was pretty good, currywurst was my favorite, but service was very lacking the night we went. Waitress disappeared and never took our food order, had to track down someone. Beer took really long to come out. They were playing very loud Latin music, which is an odd choice for a German beer hall. May have just been an off day
Colby R — Google review
Cool place. The difference between the grill menu at the stand and the full menu via table service isn't outlined anywhere and without speaking to wait staff, you'd never understand that, which is very strange from a server's perspective.

A really awesome live venue. First time there recently and had a blast. The staff are the kindest. Providing water during the show, taking trash from people in the crowd as it was needed. Overall really cool atmosphere and I couldn't help but notice the padding they've added to the ceiling (that is cement), to help with sound and whatnot. Really well done. Highly recommend.

The actual show was incredible. I saw Matteo Mancuso, one of my all time favorites. The venue is very cool and unique - bowling, plus a huge bar, and a stage behind the bowling lanes. I initially thought the people bowling in the background during the show would be loud and distracting, but it's not. The staff was polite, and had a decent beer selection.. dogfish head 60 minute is solid. The show was on a Wednesday, and I was first in line, so no long waiting (other than being 2.5 hours early to claim the best standing area). But totally worth it.

Honestly had a really fun time here. The lanes were solid, everything worked fine, and the vibe was chill. It got a little loud at some point, but nothing too crazy — kind of adds to the energy. We waited a bit to get our lane, but once we started, it flowed smoothly. Staff was cool, and prices were decent too. Would I come back? Yes, for sure. Great place to hang with friends, laugh a bit, and throw some strikes (or gutter balls 😅).

I went to see TimeCop1983, Josh Dally, and Droid Bishop at this venue. I like that it's not too big. Wherever you stand you have a good view of the stage and the performers. The acoustics are really good too. It's bigger than Elsewhere/Zone One, but much smaller than Roseland or Terminal 5. And it has a mezzanine section. The bar and restrooms are downstairs. The bar area also has a TV showing the performance on the stage in case you get tired of standing.

Really cool smaller intimate venue.Several bars are nice so lines hypothetically are short for drinks.Very cool downstairs bar that has excellent old New York vibes, very cool.

One of my favorite venues in the city. Small enough to feel intimate and big enough to book good acts. Two of the best shows I've ever seen were here (Thao touring Temple and Frankie Cosmos touring Different Talking).

Guests can enjoy a tap beer selection while soaking in the dim lighting and live jazz music. The bartenders are known for their friendliness and great recommendations, adding to the overall positive experience.
Classic bar and best hangout spot in Greenpoint. Super chill, great crowd, live music on certain nights and YES, BYOF (bring your own food) Counter service only with own seating options indoor or outdoor.

Sad I got to only experience this bar once, but the vibes were 10/10. Sad to see another spot go away because of increasing rent prices in the city.

After dinner, our group still wanted to hang out before we go home so, my friend's boyfriend took my friend and I to the bar. He was here before, so this bar used to be his hang out spot with his friends. It wasn't busy at the beginning but when the night gone by the place got crowded. Better to come with friend because most people that coming here are in a group and it will be nice to have a company.

We came at 7pm on a Sunday so we weren’t expecting it to be too busy and it wasn’t but the outer area was pretty packed, maybe 4 out of 12 tables open. My group was 4 people took up 2 tables and they had no issue with us moving the tables. The drinks are well priced for what I would think of New York (I’m out of state) 15$ cocktails wines. 10$ beers. The bartenders are fun and are responsive when you want them to be but not if you don’t. The playlist too cannot be complained about. The whiskey sours are so good!! Please try once!! Overall would recommend to come anytime if the vibes on a Sunday and Father’s Day are so good.

What an amazingly best place to checkout if you’re in the area. We were having dinner nearby and wanted to have a beer and found this place. It’s got the right amount of dark and moody to make for a great spot to have a beer and chat with friends.

I stumbled upon this bar by chance, and it's an absolute vibe! The music and ambiance are spot on--energetic, nostalgic, and effortlessly fun. It was packed on a Saturday night, but that only added to the experience. Everyone was singing along, drinks in hand, completely immersed in the moment. The throwback playlist was a total blast from the past, setting the perfect tone for an unforgettable night. If you're looking for an unforgettable night with friends, this is it! The energy is electric, and the vibes are absolutely unmatched! Such an incredible time--I'll definitely be back! LOVE THIS PLACE!!!

Basement, located at 52-19 Flushing Ave., Queens, is a unique and dimly lit bar that offers cocktails, beer, and wine. The venue features beer pong, dice games, and darts for entertainment. Situated below the Knockdown Center in New York City, this techno venue is accessed through a separate entrance from its sister venue above ground. The industrial catacomb setting adds to the unique atmosphere of the place.
for my last night back home, my cousin and I decided to walk the Manhattan Bridge. When we got to Chinatown, we decided we wanted to get drinks and just sit down and catch up. my cousin quickly looked up a place and we stumbled on the basement. From the minute we saw the entrance I was intrigued; it’s literally downstairs in the basement and the front door is like a vintage cola machine. So cool! Even with that I wasn’t prepared for what I would see on the other side of the door. this place is so vibe. It’s like every detail was perfectly curated for the perfect experience. The bartender was super kind and the vibe was on point. This is definitely a cool place to check out if you’re looking for something aesthetically pleasing with good drinks and great vibes. I definitely can’t wait to return over the summer!

Went here for a drink at 5pm on a Friday. Loved the old school CocaCola vending machine entrance. Inside there was plenty of seating available and it had a nice atmosphere. My friend and I ordered two gin based drinks and they were both delicious. They've got some darts, beer pong, and some games in the back. We didn't play any, but it would definitely be fun with a few friends. I enjoyed it, would def go back

Great potential for a fun bar, service non existing, it was slow and staff did not show any interest in service. Space is super interesting, drinks fairly decent. Little pricey for the location

This is a very cool speakeasy in NYC. I got a mojito and it was easily the best and most expensive one I have ever had in my life. The vibes were very relaxing and chill. I would recommend but expect to pay a lot per drink.
Grace P — Google review
Are the drinks a little overpriced? Probably ($34 for a small pitcher of beer). But I guess it comes with the territory and atmosphere. This place can get super popping on the weekends. They have 2 good sized beer pong tables and 4 electronic darts in the back. Music is super chill and loud.
Abcdanielu — Google review
A fun and relaxing place to catch up with friends. There was different beer pong games going on. People were generally friendly and I played with someone for awhile. I might go again if in the area. The best part was there was a popcorn machine with kettle corn!

I had such a great time at Basement on a Friday night! The entrance through the Coca-Cola machine was just too funny, and once inside, the cozy and quirky vibe really set the mood. I ordered a Lychee Martini, and it was absolutely delicious! We also played some darts with friends, which added to the fun. Overall, it was a fantastic night, and the staff were super friendly, making the experience even better!

Avant Gardner is a renowned entertainment complex located in East Williamsburg, Brooklyn. It spans 80,000 square feet and comprises The Brooklyn Mirage, The Great Hall, and Kings Hall. The venue hosts a variety of music and dance events featuring international artists such as Hardwell, Skrillex, Tiesto, and many more. Visitors can enjoy the open-air courtyard at The Brooklyn Mirage or the classic warehouse setting of The Great Hall.
Brilliant venue - backstage pass and Grey Goose behind the bar. Wristband system was the best I’ve experienced too. Amazing gig

Avant- Gardner is Avant Gardner. Great sound system, the screens are a bit much for me but that’s what the scenes has become. Other than that it’s no frills. Happy it’s stayed open while mirage is closed. I do have to say I am disappointed the food window with the mozzarella sticks is closed. Literally, the best mozzarella sticks I’ve ever had.

I attended my first event at the great hall last night with my daughter and her friend. The show had originally been scheduled at the mirage and got moved to the great hall. I wasn’t sure what to expect after reading some of the negative reviews but I went with an open mind. All I can say is wow! We came from out of state for this show and it was worth every minute! Every single staff member from security to bartenders to bathroom attendants were absolutely fantastic! They take security and the safety of the guests very seriously! There were plenty of restrooms and the lines were well controlled. I felt very safe leaving and waiting for my uber as the security were all out and directing people in the right direction. Truly Cleveland could learn a few things from this venue! Thank you for the wonderful night and thank you to all the staff who worked so hard and were always so kind and smiling! We will be back! I hope the issues with the mirage get worked out because this venue is a gem 💎

He only played for 15 minutes. The mouse only showed up at 12:40am Too much testmouse. Not enough real songs. Test your mouse in Bangor, Maine or Indianapolis. Don’t test your mouse here in NYC bro. If the mouse is dead, you will not be in bed (until 4am). Venue is 5 stars.

My night was ruined by the staff/security. Most hostile people I’ve ever been around. I’m surprised in how the quality of this place has gone down. I used to come here in 2019, 2021 and 2022 and I didn’t feel such hostility. A few staff members ruined my night out with my two friends at a recent concert. We were standing behind a pole, way out of the walkway, and two staff members with coats 102 and another number I didn’t catch, started shining the flashlights on us telling us to move over behind the line. To give you context we were just one foot outside the line where everyone was jammed and not making space for us with PLENTY of room for the walkway again also behind a building pole too so no one can even walk there. They got in our faces and kept yelling at us like we were cattle. I never felt more disrespected in my life as a woman and if my two guy friends weren’t there I would have felt extremely unsafe with those two staff/security people. The worst part of it was, when those two staff guys walked away, they not approach or talk to any other concertgoers behind us who were also a bit over the line or even more over the line. My night was ruined seeing one of my favorite performers spending hundreds of dollars to be treated like that. And on the way out, a staff member with coat 113 yelled at my friend to throw out an empty can as and he was already on his way doing that, that staff member continued to harass him. I love edm and used to love this venue but it needs a complete overhaul in staff/security as they are the most rude people I’ve ever been surrounded with, ruining the experience.
Niki — Google review
The security to get in here was crazier than TSA. Also super weird that they don’t accept cash or credit cards in the venue - you have to load money onto your wristband. Once inside drinks are pricey. You also have to coat check and then walk back outside to get to the hall which wasn’t super fun because it’s cold. The atmosphere was cool though.
Grace A — Google review
Extremely Disrespectful Staff — Terrible Experience at The Advent Gardner I don’t usually write reviews, but my experience at The Advent Gardner was so frustrating and disappointing that I feel obligated to warn others. The manager and security guards at this venue are some of the most unprofessional and disrespectful people I’ve ever encountered. From the moment we arrived, the attitude from security was completely uncalled for. Instead of creating a welcoming or even neutral environment, they acted aggressive, rude, and downright hostile — barking orders and treating guests like we were an inconvenience rather than paying customers. It felt more like going through airport security than attending an event. To make things worse, the manager was absolutely no better. When we tried to calmly bring up our concerns, we were met with dismissiveness and sarcasm. There was zero accountability or willingness to listen — just condescension and arrogance. It’s clear this venue has no interest in treating guests with basic respect or hospitality. Between the power-tripping staff and the complete lack of professionalism, I honestly regret ever spending a dime here. There are plenty of venues in NYC that know how to host an event without treating people like trash. Do yourself a favor and go literally anywhere else !!!!

The Gutter is a vintage-style bowling alley and bar located in Greenpoint, established in 2007. It features a retro barroom and eight well-worn bowling lanes imported from Iowa. The atmosphere is laid-back, attracting a diverse crowd of patrons enjoying draft beers and classic bowling. The venue also hosts live music events, adding to its vibrant ambiance.
Best dive Bar in Brooklyn. My go to place! Eric, Andy, Kate and Marcus and the gang are the friendliest bartenders and people in all of Brooklyn. Lilly is a great host for bowling reservations and very approachable and makes me feel welcome to be at the Gutter ! Love this place !
Nick K — Google review
I visited this place last Thursday and at first everything seemed fine, but the drinks were a complete scam. The margaritas were made with the cheapest alcohol, and by the second round they were nothing more than water with lime — no alcohol at all. To charge $96 for drinks of this quality is insulting, as if customers wouldn’t notice. Absolutely unacceptable and dishonest.

Decent bowling alley with a good atmosphere Overall, I had a good time at this bowling alley. The place is a bit old and could use some updates, but it still has a fun and friendly atmosphere. It’s a nice spot to spend time with friends and enjoy a game or two.
Tal S — Google review
We checked out the Gutter on a Thursday evening for live music (free show). In the back room. The bands were great and we had a really good time. Bar in back room was a little limited. Some of our drinks were a little over priced for a dive bar. Can’t complain cuz the music was free. Good times !
Sandwich S — Google review
If you’re visiting from abroad be sure avoid this place unless you want to bring your physical passport out with you. While it is a NYC rule to not take foreign is aside from passports, Gutter bar is much stricter than anywhere else in the area (most will take a photo of your passport with id). Also quite rude about it as we didn’t even press the issue before politely leaving and we’re still greeted with a “is that a passport” to our drivers license. Save yourself the time and go to the better bowling alleys and bars around Williamsburg and greenpoint.
Dubose C — Google review
Actually this is not the first time I came to bowling at Gutter bar. This time my best friend just want to chill out so I go with her. On Sunday night it wasn't packed, there were 4 groups ahead of us but we didn't wait too long. It was so fun to come with friend no one care the score you get just having a good time. Bartender and another staff are super casual. The early shift was good but the night shift are kind of lazy and boring. That was one of the reason we left because after changing the shift, we feel the service was not good.
Melissa N — Google review
Cool vintage dive-in bar if that’s your vibe. Decent drinks too. We went for the “Gutterween” event and it was cool but nothing special. Bands were good but way too overcrowded couldn’t move without having to body or slam someone 😂 We also got a ticket for the bowling and were told it was hour and half wait and came out to be about 3 hours of a wait because they failed to tell people about the fact half of the 8 lanes they have were not functional. And their only pool table was inaccessible as well. We came from outside the city for this spot, it’s cool but nothing crazy. Just ok

Black Flamingo is a vibrant and trendy bar located in Brooklyn. Opened in 2015, it has quickly become a popular spot for party-goers. The venue offers a unique combination of a cocktail bar, restaurant, and discotheque. Upstairs, patrons can enjoy Latin-influenced vegan dining until 11 pm, while downstairs features an excellent sound system playing house music for those looking to dance the night away.
Love that this place is 100% vegan. The food is great. The Strawberry 4 ways dessert was delicious. No matter what your meal is you have to have this Soo good.
Sandriene S — Google review
This place was what we thought a good vegan find in the area. A small group of us were seated late for our reservation but we were understanding on a busy weekend. The server had a very strange attitude and it felt uncomfortable the whole night. Maybe he had an off night. They didn't tell us the kitchen was closed before I could order my friend some donuts for a surprise birthday treat. However, they ended up accommodating my request so thank you for that. They just never seemed very friendly and that kinda ruined my experience. They asked for the check like three times but our friends weren't done eating yet and didn't put their cards in. It would've been fine if they said they were ending their shift if we didn't mind paying, but instead it felt as though they were rushing us. Apparently the place turns into a club at 11pm and since we were seated late, although outside, were rushed to finish. The food was ok and the drinks were good. Nachos and tacos not as good as JaJaJa, but decent. Burritos I heard were yum. Indoor seating required vaccination. Outdoor seating available.

This was my first experience dining at an all-vegan restaurant. Wife and I arrived around 6 PM for early dinner. The food left us both thoroughly impressed. If the Jam Taco has been overlooked as one of the top tacos in New York, have no doubts: it is undoubtedly one of the best you will find in this area of Brooklyn. I am excited to go back and try all the other tacos. We also ordered the Oyster Mushroom Fajitas and *wow* the texture was incredible and felt like very carefully cooked, tender chicken. I was surprised with how filling the meal was. My only qualm would be cleanliness. The suede seating area is understandably annoying to clean but there were visible particles (food? dust? dirt?) on the cushioning of our seats. My wife’s glass was dirty as well. Service was relaxed, not over-the-top happy, but still welcoming.

Cute vegan Mexican restaurant in Williamsburg, BK with a lovely atomosphere and delicious food! TIP: Outside ordering starts 12pm and goes until 6pm. The restaurant opens at 6pm! Food**** DELISH! We ordered 2 tacos: The Savory (mushroom croquette, almond crumbs, collard, and cashew cheese) the Al Pastor (avocado, black beans, ancho, jackfruit, and pineapple) . One Burrito: Chili Cheese Burrito (vegggie chili, rice, potato crisp, jalapeño, guacamole, and vegan jack cheese. Get the chili cheese burrito for SURE! And add the Savory taco, this was surprisingly good. I was a little hesitant about the collards but it ended up tasting sooooo good! Atmosphere*** Outside eating and very nice layout inside with plenty of seating and enough space that you don’t feel like you’re in a straightjacket (welcome to Brooklyn)! Service**** Quick, pleasant, with smiles and with condiments! Price$ Outside ordering (12-6pm)is CASH ONLY! Inside (6pm on) accepts cards. Cheap and VERY worth

The food and the service was excellent. Only thing now is when you are there on the weekend. You are able to only dine in if you are vaccinated and must show proof. If not you will have to dine outside. But if its during the week. You can dine in on a honor system, they won't ask for proof. Thats a whole other thing I can get into. But other than that the food is AMAZING.

Brooklyn Mirage, located at Avant Gardner, is a renowned 6,000-person indoor-outdoor events space that hosts an array of impressive music acts and DJ sets from around the globe. The venue boasts a top-notch sound system and stunning light displays, making it a must-visit for music enthusiasts. With its recent mainstage redesign, Brooklyn Mirage offers an unparalleled live performance experience.
Spent two amazing nights at Brooklyn Mirage for Cityfox Experience, and it was the perfect way to ring in the New Year! The venue is unreal—great sound system, insane lighting, and overall just a super well-organized space. Mind Against, Eli&Fur and all DJs absolutely killed it, and every set kept the energy up all night. Even as a solo female, I felt completely safe the entire time. The crowd was super respectful, no weird vibes, and despite the late hours, the place stayed impressively clean (no nasty smells or sticky floors!). Security was around but not overbearing, just enough to keep things chill. If you’re into electronic music and looking for a top-tier nightlife experience in NYC, Brooklyn Mirage is a must.

elrow 2025 - what a blast, unlike last year’s where we were able to go about all three stages, this year we were only able to use the Great Hall and King’s Hall - main stage is currently undergoing major improvements. Nonetheless I have to say the stage design this year was outstanding!! Such a beautiful sight!! The dj’s went hard, I was dancing the entire night. The party went on until sunrise and it was truly insane. The crowd was a vibe :)

Used to Be Great—Now It’s a Cautionary Tale Before the Mirage’s renovation in 2022, this venue was truly a blast. But since then, it feels like greed has taken over. The management began pushing the venue past its limits—overcrowding events, hiring unprofessional staff, and delivering a subpar experience across the board. Then came 2025. Many of us hoped things would turn around. Instead, it got worse. Rather than taking the responsible route and canceling bookings in late 2024 to start renovations on time, the venue chose to delay—ultimately canceling everything last-minute. This decision didn’t just hurt customers. It disrespected staff and artists who spent months preparing for shows expecting crowds of 5,000. It’s a huge disappointment. I truly hope they take all of 2025 to get it together. But as of now, I’m done with this venue—and I know I’m not the only one. If they can’t course-correct by 2026, it wouldn’t be surprising to see the venue—and the brand behind it—fade away entirely.

I attended my first EDM concert at Brooklyn Mirage. Impressively professional with strict security, digital payment wristbands, and clean toilets. However, sound facilities and the performance fell short for the price. More innovative digital gadgets like drones would enhance the experience beyond costumed stilt walkers.

The Brooklyn Mirage is truly one of NYC’s most iconic venues for techno lovers. Walking into this open-air oasis feels like stepping into another world, with stunning city views, towering LED screens, and a sound system that delivers deep, immersive bass. The production quality is on another level, from the lasers and visuals to the 360-degree platform layout that lets you experience the music from all angles. The crowd here is always energetic, and you can feel the passion for techno and house music pulsing through the night. Whether you’re there to see big names or underground artists, the lineup consistently brings top talent. It’s a bit of a commitment to get in and can get crowded, but once you’re inside, it’s totally worth it. Brooklyn Mirage has quickly become a must-visit for anyone serious about electronic music and looking to vibe with like-minded people in a world-class setting.

Messy, smelly, hard to get to, unfriendly staff, overpriced drinks with a ridiculous payment system, full of young kids who can’t handle their alcohol or whatever else they are on. Only go if you are truly a fan of whoever is playing that night. It’s an enclosed outdoor space, so be prepared for bad weather (heat, rain, or something else).

★☆☆☆☆ – Absolutely pathetic what Brooklyn Mirage is doing Brooklyn Mirage is still closed, even though they've been shouting from the rooftops for months that they’d be reopening on May 1st. And now yet another concert I was really looking forward to has been cancelled. And guess what kind of communication we got? NONE. No email, no proper post, just silence. Like they think if they don’t talk about it, it’s not actually happening. The whole situation is just humiliating and disrespectful toward the fans. People plan their time around these shows, buy tickets, book hotels – and they’re being completely ignored. The bare minimum would be to update people honestly, but I guess that’s too much to ask. You know what? For a place that once had a world-class reputation, this level of sneakiness and lack of transparency is straight-up embarrassing. Massive disappointment – and more and more people are turning their backs on you, and they’re right to do so.

Gay bar
Nestled in the heart of Park Slope, Ginger's Bar stands as a beloved casual lesbian bar that radiates a warm, neighborly vibe. After facing closure during the pandemic, this cherished establishment made a triumphant return in late 2021 with fresh energy and an enthusiastic new partner. As Brooklyn's oldest and only remaining lesbian bar, it has reclaimed its status as a vibrant hub for the LGBTQ+ community.
Classic chill sapphic space!! Support queer femme small businesses! :) Both outdoor and indoor spaces, dancing, pool, and bar. Note that she’s cash only, although there is an ATM on site. Lots of fun events!! Open late! : )

My friends and I went to Ginger’s earlier today after the pride parade in Manhattan. It had a great atmosphere and drinks. We wound up leaving to get food and were told we were welcome back to eat our food there as long as we cleaned up after ourselves. When we came back we were let in by the bouncer, but the bar tender called us over to re-check my friends ID. They asked her a bunch of questions related to her age and she answered every single one correctly but we were still kicked out. The bar tender was condescending and made a completely unnecessary comment to my friend. We’re turning 25 this year… They handled this unprofessionally and didn’t even use an ID scanner to verify the validity of it. It was very confusing because when we were in earlier, we were served alcohol without our IDs being checked by a different bar tender. I wish we had a better experience. The bar had a lot of potential.

A lovely lesbian bar with welcoming and relaxing energy! The outdoor back patio is so cute and I love that they let you bring outside food in. The shirley temple was utterly delicious (with three cherries!!!) and only $3!

Love to come here with friends! The service is ….. interesting? But I’m sure it’s because the staff probably puts up with a lot. Don’t let that get in the way of having a good time though! I still give it 5 stars because it’s a place we always have a nice time at, I like that they have a pool table and outdoor seating. The people working door are always sweet and most of the bartenders are decent. I would recommend coming with friends to hang out after work.

All of the nem, especially the ones cosplaying, made me extremely uncomfortable. I am excluded due to their presence in a place where I am the one who belongs and I should be able to feel welcome around only other wonem. It’s horrific.

I don’t even drink & wear this bar’s hat with pride. Community-driven events, fun dancing, always the best energy. Home sweet home.

Overpriced and underpoured. As a longtime patron of the Cubbyhole, I was excited to visit the resurrection of Gingers. Unfortunately, it seems the owners are more interested in profits than community as the drinks are incredibly overpriced and underpoured. I traveled 30 mins out of my way to try this bar - it will be the first and last time. Lesbians deserve a bar that’s a safe place. Unfortunately this is not it. Thank you AND next.

Cocktail bar
Weather Up is a stylish, Prohibition-era inspired bar located in Prospect Heights, Brooklyn. The bar boasts a sophisticated ambiance with shiny white subway tiles and golden box lamps, creating a cozy and intimate atmosphere. Known for its classic cocktails and sophisticated bar snacks, it's the original outpost of a trio of bars with locations in Austin and Manhattan. The venue's low lighting and minimal noise make it an ideal spot for a romantic date night where you can enjoy conversation without interruptions.
Perfect for date night! We got there around 8:45 and it was very crowded (we lucked into seats after taking a lap around the place), but as the night went down the crowd died down. Cool vibe, cool space, great drinks, friendly staff! Will definitely be coming back for more cocktails!
Melissa G — Google review
I live close to Weather Up and like to pop in here by myself sometimes to read my book and enjoy good cocktails. I popped in on a rainy Saturday and was able to grab a table. They have a cocktail menu of around 10 drinks but can also make any cocktail you like. Their bar staff are always great mixologists and everything I have had here has always been good. This trip I had the Hey Sweet Pea, which was different and reminded me slightly of a green juice in cocktail form, and The White Lotus (like a pina colada with a bit of a kick). My partner joined me after this and we had a couple of happy hour daiquiris and margaritas, which were also good, so definitely felt pretty buzzed when we left (the pours here are generous). If you are in the neighborhood and looking for a spot for a great cocktail then make sure to stop in here.

Grabbed an early weekend drink here and it was great. I didn’t have any bites, but did enjoy the drinks a lot. They were inventive and refreshing, so I will be back to try some more of their menu!

Lovely bar on Vanderbuilt Avenue in Brooklyn. VERY! decent cocktails. Early around 5 when it first opens is a nice time dark and nicely quiet. By 6 it's full. Either way highly recommended.

Went here for a work meeting. Sat outside in their backyard since it was a nice day. The seats were kind of falling apart though because I’ve gained so much weight during covid. They have cocktails called the vandals and a song from taking back Sunday called cute workout the e. I got the vandals one and it kinda knocked me out pretty quickly. It was very good though. I wish I took pictures so that I can post here but again, I was at a work meeting. Maybe I’ll come back next time and take a bunch of photos to up my Google review game.

The low lighting & fairly low noise at this spot makes it a great place for a date. You’re able to have a conversation, not get bumped into, & be discreet. The furniture is a tad uncomfortable & probably needs some updating. The drinks are good. The service is a little slow but it adds to the ambiance, sometimes you don’t want to be interrupted mid sentence.

Night club
Nestled in the vibrant heart of Williamsburg, Schimanski stands out as an industrial nightclub that breathes new life into the local dance music scene. With its late-night hours and two expansive dance floors, this venue is a haven for house and techno enthusiasts. Under the guidance of Eddie Dean, known for his work with Pacha, Schimanski focuses on showcasing underground talent rather than mainstream acts.
I've been to this club a handful of times and had great experiences each visit! The disco balls and lights make for great atmosphere during their Daft Disko parties! (If you're looking for a similar vibe of future funk/disco, look up Yoi Toki parties on Instagram that are hosted here as well, so much fun and the vibes are immaculate!) Lots of space to dance, and there is seating off to the sides when you need a break. It can get crowded midway through the night so coming right when they open at 10pm is a great idea if you want more room. Drinks are okay, not the best I've ever had, but certainly not the worst. Expensive, but that's due to the location, so I don't count that against them. I suggest just getting shots to be economical. Coat check is 4 bucks and never had any trouble with security here. The ladies who check your bags and give you a pat down are polite and friendly and keep the line moving to get everyone inside in a timely manner. Food trucks are nearby and open all night, great for a quick snack after drinking and dancing all night. Usually Mexican food, I suggest getting a chicken quesadilla and horchata, can't go wrong with those.
Carol P — Google review
Place is selling the drinks as if they are a high end rooftop club. I paid $45 plus tip for a shot of Jack Daniel’s and a Tito’s cranberry. Sound system is really loud and not great. However, dancing was fun despite how many times they played the same songs. Despite the other reviews, our experience with the bouncer and staff was pretty good
Jesus H — Google review
A cute vibe. It is definitely dated and make shifty when it comes down to security, tickets, not accepting Apple Pay, the list goes on. I get it’s typical for a club to charge $500+ for 2 bottles in NYC, but this venue is tripping with those prices. The d.j’s are good, we went on a Saturday night. It was supposed to be r&b night but it was everything in between. They play a lot of songs from the early 2000’s. I didn’t see a food menu, and I wouldn’t eat from there at all anyway. The bartenders are nice enough, but the bar is very dated and looks like a pile of plastic in front of old bottles of alcohol. I think if they want people to pay for those sections, they need to create an atmosphere that is worth it. If the owner reaches out, I’d happily advise on cost effective updates that will transition from a 2013 Webster hall vibe, to a happening Williamsburg lounge/bar.
Yanet D — Google review
I liked this venue, it's not the trendiest but they had great music. I came to the tame impala dance party, I didn't have to pay for seating or a coat check. Safe, clean, spacious, and good music. The drinks I kept simple cause it got busy.
M B — Google review
Leaving a petty review just because they wouldn’t give me a cup of water at the bar when I was feeling faint from dancing and I had been buying HIGHLY overpriced alcohol from them all night so I just felt like it was the decent thing to do as an establishment taking care of drunk people not to try and charge me $5 for it. And shots should not be $12, couldn’t even get a beer for less than $9. Otherwise the night was decently good, I enjoyed the music but there was virtually no transitions between songs and they couldve used more beat/added elements. I feel like they were trying extra hard to be respectful when patting people down at the door and there were places to sit down which was good!
Kendalkmadeleineb — Google review
Great venue! This is a very nice space to host events of all kinds. I came to see Roger Sanchez DJ. I arrived early when the place was rather empty but it filled up soon. Drinks are expensive as is typical in NYC. Several staff members including a bartender and security were very rude. The coat check is $4/item. There were plenty of bathrooms which were kept clean throughout the night which I really appreciated.
Christina H — Google review
It’s a great time and has a really good space for parties and middle tier to up and coming talent but “Bro culture” continues to seep in from Manhattan so very belligerent and annoying people can be found here on select nights. Sound & projections are great though.
Christian S — Google review
One of the worst night clubs I have ever been too. Only went because I am a fan of Bob Moses but this place takes advantage of the superficial people that go here. Be ready to pay 50 dollars for two drinks and sometimes 5 dollars for a bottled water. If you buy a mixed drink do not expect it to be strong. This club is a typical nightclub if you are a true music lover go else where. Staff is not very friendly nor provide good customer service.

Gabriela, located at 90 Wythe Ave in Brooklyn, is a nightclub owned by DJ Eli Escobar. The club offers an awesomely curated atmosphere with friendly staff and reasonable prices, making it an instant hit among visitors. The front half of the club provides plenty of seating for a lounge-like experience, while the back features a legit dance floor with great sound.
The best part is the music. It’s a nice club and there’s good energy inside but the dance floor just gets a little too busy on Thursday nights. Eli Escobar knows how to put on a good party though and it’s worth stopping by for some great house music.

So I’ll just confirm everyone else’s bad reviews here: The bouncers are not nice and pretty discriminating. I thought folks were just hating for no reason, but nope. This is legit. My party arrived around 11pm, no line, nothing. Was told Gabriela was at capacity and to come back at 12am. I was in a group of three people total. Then I see five people and one more person (that’s SIX) be let in with no problem. We tried asking if it was okay to wait. They told us to beat it and come back at 12am. And that hanging around isn’t helping us get in faster. I was looking forward to seeing Eli Escobar play, but I guess I’ll just have to wait for another time and at another venue. I will not be attempting to come here or support this place again. Enjoy!
Giovanni M — Google review
Loved the venue and have been going every Thursday for the romance events but it gets unbearably sloppy after about 11PM, which seems incredibly early. Ive never once had an issue getting in (surprisingly) but the attitude of the door can get overbearing when they do turn people away. Bartenders and the drinks are amazing, as well as the layout of both the top and bottom floor. The personalities of the people that do get in and are there during the peak hours can range from incredibly friendly and talkative to downright aggressive who stand off to the sides of the dance floor and just stare into the middle of the crowd and will not stop talking. The elongated design of the dance floor and drink rests on the sides ends up making it tighter than it should be, and God forbid you can shoulder checked from behind and you have a group of people riding a train to an arbitrary spot closer to the DJ only to be ten feet closer.

My second time at Gabriela’s and just felt completely disrespected for no reason. I got in line to get in and when I got to the bouncer/security they asked me what I was here for. Mentioned Im here to grab and drink and enjoy the music but was turned away because there was an event going on and there’s limited space. I stepped out of line, went across the street to a bench to look at what event is going on and possibly purchase a ticket to gey in. It wasnt a ticket entry event so I went back to ask about it and was immediately scolded by the bouncer/security as soon as I walked up. I told him I had a question and asked my question, someone in the line answered my question and I was then told in an extremely aggressive manner to just leave. Such a ridiculous experience.

Gabriela had been on my list to visit for a while, and last night my friends and I were finally in the neighborhood and decided to check it out. Unfortunately, our experience was overshadowed by clear discrimination based on our skin color. My husband arrived at the door before the rest of our group and noticed a Southeast Asian man being turned away immediately, without any questions. He then overheard the bouncer say to another staff member, “Those aren’t the type of people we want in here.” At first, my husband assumed maybe the man had had too much to drink and that’s what the comment referred to. When my husband approached the bouncer and mentioned that we had a group of five, he was told, “We have to see your group first.” It struck him as odd, but knowing how pretentious some NYC club scenes can be, he didn’t think much of it. However, once the rest of our group arrived, the bouncer immediately started questioning us: “Why are you guys here?” “Have you been here before?” “Do you even know who’s DJing tonight?” We were honestly taken aback. We told him we’d seen on Instagram that they were hosting an event, but he responded that only “regulars” were allowed in that night. Disappointed, we decided to move on, it’s Williamsburg after all, and there are plenty of other options nearby. What made the situation even worse was watching the group of white patrons behind us get waved in effortlessly, without any of the same questions. The next morning, I looked up Gabriela’s Google reviews out of curiosity, and sadly, I wasn’t surprised to find multiple other people of color sharing similar experiences and some even worse. It’s disheartening to realize that in one of the most diverse cities in the world, racism is still alive and well, sometimes coming from people of color themselves. It’s incredibly disappointing that in 2025, enjoying good music and nightlife still depends on the color of your skin.
Ariel R — Google review
No cover on Thursdays but bouncers were so rude and on a power trip. They initially told us they were at capacity and only had room for members. Waited a few min and were then let in after but I’ve never encountered such rude bouncers and am appalled at the other experiences people talk about here. Place is cool I guess with the fog but for $18 bevs and $14 mocktails I’m all set on going again.

Discriminatory Treatment and Denial of Entry I am writing to formally express my deep disappointment regarding an incident that occurred at your establishment on 09/13/2025. Despite meeting all the usual requirements for entry, I was denied access without any valid explanation. The behavior of your staff made me feel unwelcome and singled out based on my nationality, which I perceived as an act of xenophobia. Such treatment is unacceptable and deeply concerning. I expect your management to address this matter promptly and to ensure that no one else experiences this kind of discrimination in the future. I would appreciate a formal response explaining how you plan to prevent such incidents and uphold principles of equality and respect.

the bouncer (and the owners who allow this kind of bouncer) should be absolutely ashamed of themselves. i had never heard of this place and from the line it was clear the bouncer was racially profiling people and even straight up yelled at 2 girls on their own. extremely rude behavior. the business should be ashamed of itself to have a staff member like this. I thought i was only one but clearly the reviews here suggest otherwise.

The Stranger is a trendy club located in Columbus Circle, Manhattan. It offers a unique experience with its hot tub on the dance floor and scenic rooftop club called the Roof at Public Hotel. The venue boasts incredible decor, entertainment, and talented DJs. While it attracts a diverse crowd, some visitors have noted that the clientele can be disappointing. However, the multi-level layout provides an adventurous atmosphere with carefully crafted art throughout.
Well, it was a wonderful night. It’s totally different from the current NY: it’s more friendly, opened, crazy and fun. I liked. Girls are hot, gay scene is super fun and men and boys are polite. Security is polite, bartenders are smiling and hostess are nice. Even the coat check room is fun. Pay a visit. You will find much more then college group friends afraid from what people will think about them. Nobody cares. Lots of personages and allegories. Super fun and crazy. PS: sorry about my Brazilian translation

The party was amazing. I really enjoyed the music and the atmosphere during my visit. However, I don’t know why the charged different prices for the same alcoholic drinks in the same place. In the upper level 1 corona and 1 Gin Tonic was $27.63 gratuity included. In the basement the same 2 drinks was $39.37.
Jesus M — Google review
Tucked away on West 57th Street in Manhattan, The Stranger is more than just a bar—it’s a descent into the surreal, a place where the ordinary dissolves into the extraordinary. From the moment you step inside, you’re enveloped by an ambiance that feels like a fever dream conjured by David Lynch and Salvador Dalí over a shared bottle of absinthe. The entrance is unassuming, but crossing the threshold is akin to stepping through the looking glass. Dimly lit corridors lead you into a labyrinth of rooms, each more enigmatic than the last. Velvet drapes, antique chandeliers, and eclectic art pieces create an atmosphere that’s both opulent and otherworldly. It’s as if the space itself is alive, whispering secrets from its shadowed corners. The cocktails here are alchemical concoctions, each presented with a theatrical flair that borders on the ceremonial. Bartenders, dressed in attire that blurs the line between the vintage and the avant-garde, craft drinks that are as much about the experience as they are about the taste. Sipping on one feels like participating in a ritual, each flavor unfolding like a chapter in a gothic novel. But The Stranger isn’t just about aesthetics; it’s about evoking emotion. The music, an eclectic mix that defies genre, sets a tone that’s both haunting and exhilarating. Patrons, adorned in attire ranging from the elegantly classic to the flamboyantly bizarre, add to the venue’s dreamlike quality. Conversations here aren’t mere exchanges—they’re performances, each participant playing their part in this grand, nocturnal theater. In a city that prides itself on reinvention, The Stranger stands out by embracing the enigmatic. It’s not just a bar; it’s an experience, a journey into the depths of imagination and desire. For those willing to surrender to its spell, it offers a night that lingers long after the final drink is poured.

Headline: This is THE place to be if you want a fun, memorable night of dancing and nightlife in NYC. EDIT: Came back another time after this — still a phenomenal clubbing experience. Details: I’m no stranger to nightclubs, and I’m sure everyone is used to the nightclubs with the (boring) house music and it’s a one-dimensional experience. The music here is not that different from the aforementioned music, the experience certainly is. There’s a LARGE main dance floor with elevated surfaces, performances, a high ceiling, lights, and I think it’s important to note that it’s not all fenced off for reserved tables; in fact it seemed like it was all general access, which is fantastic. Exploring the other spaces: there’s a karaoke room, multiple bars, a casino/minigame type space, confetti room, mirror room — the service and energy of the people working here is amazing. You won’t be bored, there are things to do, and a night to live! My friend and I got our tickets about a week in advance for the earliest (cheapest) time slot and the space got busy pretty quickly, so don’t be worried about an early time slot. 10/10 I want to come back, the most memorable nightclub I’ve been to in NYC so far. EDIT: A friend who loves to party came into town, and after mulling over places to go clubbing, this is where I settled on (I was only resisting because I wanted to try somewhere I hadn’t been, but I knew all along this was the right choice for her). It was, maybe if possible, an even better experience the second time. Did NOT disappoint — so much fun with the people and the dancing and the vibes; so highly recommend!

I came here thinking it was just a regular nightclub, but this place is way more than that. It’s like walking into a live art performance meets underground kink theater. Definitely not your typical “grab a drink and dance” type of spot. The shows were wild lol super sexualized, fetish-themed, and just felt like an erotic kink club. Think dominatrix vibes, bondage gear, people in masks crawling on stage, strippers, nude girls/guys and performances that are more shock-art than anything else. The music was just beats, not something you can dance to. Lots of weed smoking by the performing people. Not my vibe tbh, but if you’re into that you might enjoy it lol. Just be prepared to see some weird shit..

It’s definitely a good time if you’re having a birthday or want to try something new. Best smelling club ever😂 Incense in the bathrooms. It’s gets weird here and there’s a show that keeps you entertained the whole night. So weird so it’s a lot of fun if you’re into that. Music was great all night. Dancers everywhere. I will definitely be back!! Only showing videos of things I could post online here … the weirder stuff you have to come and see for yourself

Best club to open in Manhattan in atleast 20 years. so much thought went into this quirky large multi room insanely themed every inch. the staff is amazing. the performers and floor team amazing. security staff bartenders lights all tip top.
Chris R — Google review
Now this is what you want in a nightclub - character, variety and just good vibes all around. There are three floors - a basement house music floor, the main performance floor and an upper activity floor (with karaoke, blackjack etc). The service team are very friendly and hospitable, and while prices are on the much higher end, you’re getting an unmatched entertainment experience. Definitely worth considering table service if you’re coming in groups.

Bar
Ear Inn is a historic bar located in a landmarked building dating back to 1817. It is the oldest continuously operating bar in New York City and has survived Prohibition. The bar offers a selection of beers and bar bites, with live music performances on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Sundays. The ambiance is filled with brassy jazz on Sunday evenings by The EarRegulars, while other nights feature rotating performers playing various genres.
Wow, what an incredible experience at the legendary Ear Inn! 🤩 From the moment I stepped inside, I felt like I'd been transported to another era – it's pretty surreal to enjoy some food & drink in a space that's been serving patrons since 1817. Biggest surprise? The food! The fried pork and chive dumplings were out of this world. Seriously, the best dumplings I've ever had. Crispy, flavorful, and perfectly paired with their dipping sauce and some incredibly "horseradishey" English mustard. I highly encourage double-dipping in both and washing it down with an ice cold draft beer. The service was also top-notch. Colin was friendly & attentive and shared some fascinating stories. This place has a classic NYC charm that you just can't find in newer establishments. You can feel the history in the walls and see the relics they've accumulated over the years. If you're looking for a truly authentic NYC experience with great food, cold drinks, and a fantastic vibe, make sure the Ear Inn is on your list.

This is one of the very few places that still captured and preserved the "old spirit " of NY. Considered the date when this place established it was able to do so for few hundreds of years. The place has a vibrant collection of locals who seems to have this place for socializing., the place provides you with crayons and playing cards while you are waiting for your order, but it seems lots of people just keep entertaining themselves and after meal is over. The place is crowded and a bit loud, but this is expected from such place. The wings were very good, they are baked instead of fry and literally falling from bones. I also really enjoyed their chicken pie and fried dumplings. We walked in and waiting time was about 5 minutes, not sure if they get reservations.

We’ve come to The Ear Inn many times for cocktails ,it’s one of our go-to spots to catch the sunset with a drink in hand. The vibe is always relaxed, the view is lovely, and there’s a timeless charm to the place. But tonight was the first time we decided to dine inside and we’re so glad we did. On Sundays from 8pm, they have live music, and we happened to get a beautiful table right in front of the band. It felt intimate, authentic, and full of life. We ordered the New York strip and a classic burger, both were perfectly cooked and satisfying in that no-fuss, well-done kind of way. The cocktails, as always, were spot on. But they do everyday special as well! Don’t forget to ask ! The interior brings you back in time , warm wood, old-school bar details, and a lived-in coziness that reminds you this is one of the oldest bars in New York City. It feels like a piece of local history , not polished or pretentious, just real and full of character. It’s the kind of place that feels like your neighborhood’s secret backyard , somewhere you can relax, hear good music, and enjoy good company. We’re really glad we finally experienced the full Ear Inn charm. Can’t wait to come back

You are not coming to Ear Inn for the Instagram Photos (or you may be kicked out or spit on...)... You are coming for a taste of history and an even more incredible taste of food, if you have the opportunity! I watched enough YouTube videos about every place I "planned" to visit on my trip and this was no exception. The second oldest bar in NYC and the history of this place deserves it's own attention, so go look at YouTube for yourselves. The owner, Gary, was the bartender the day I was there. I did not need to re-watch the YT video to realize this immediately upon walking in based on his incredibly strong, yet empathetic and deep down, softie personality. He had all the flavor of someone who has dealt with everything and I loved it. The bar regulars were exactly that and their love for their favorite spot was so evident in their energy and enthusiasm for it all. Now, let's discuss the Chicken Pot Pie... I have always been a fan of the CPP, but there is a level of "homemade" vs "ok this is good"... This was the homemade vibe all the way home and I am pretty sure they put an entire chicken worth of chicken in it. It was everything it could have been and you could tell it was made with love. THIS is a hidden gem in a hidden gem.

Reviewers mention that this place feels like the old New York City. I wasn't around in those days, but stopping through Manhattan I rolled around Hudson Square for a bite to eat and a cold beer and this place spoke to me. This is a very historically-significant bar; I recommend reading about it. The area is very quiet for Manhattan, and this space offers a cozy bar with food options and plenty of outdoor seating. Late at night, the entrance is suffused with the glow of a red neon sign and it sets a great mood. The beer selection is quite good; they have some popular favorites as well as some local beers. I recommend grabbing a pint and moving to sit outside if you're like me and didn't order any food. Bartenders and staff are friendly, and many of the patrons seemed to be regulars.

Historic AND delicious food?!? YES! We had a delightful time at the Ear Inn - our waitress was amazing! Great drinks, great atmosphere. The place is small, and it does get crowded. We sat in the back room, which was empty when we arrived (2pm) and packed by the time we left. We loved it. Up front, by the bar, the England vs Spain Copa game was on, the place was lively!

Clover Club is a cocktail bar located in the Carroll Gardens neighborhood of Brooklyn, offering classic and modern drinks alongside a menu of small plates. The bar aims to bring together locals and visitors alike, with an interior reminiscent of 19th-century NYC saloons. Guests can enjoy creative cocktails like Dear Judy and Succumb To Plum. Additionally, there are private spaces available for gatherings as well as full buyout options for larger events.
I was so excited to finally visit Clover Club and it did not disappoint. Loved their Clover club cocktail as well as the “nice pear”. The kind bartender in the pictures definitely made my experience 10/10. Can’t wait to visit again.

We've had several good meals here so far. Recommended: - Bloody Marys - Any burger - Mac & Cheese w/ smoked bacon (SO GOOD!!!) - Steak tartare - Fried chicken biscuit (or sandwich) - Clover benedict - Breakfast burrito If it's crowded, the structure is such that it can be a bit hard to hear the conversation of those you're with, just fyi. If you're going for just the cocktails/food, or for their live music (certain nights), then go for it!

Great spot to grab cocktails in the neighborhood. It gets quite busy on the weekends but there’s a reason why. The inside has a nice dark vibe to in and there’s always good music and loud conversations going on. The cocktails are a bit on the pricey side, especially for the okay quality but the vibe definitely makes up for it. Would recommend if you’re in the area and looking to grab a drink.

So where do I start? We walked in at 3:55. They told us live music will be for another half hour so we chose our seating based off that. There was no live music after we arrived… they gave us menus as we sat down. Nobody came up to us for another 15 minutes, at which point we were asked what drinks we’d like to order, so we ordered. We tried ordering food as well but were told that the brunch menu is no longer being served. Ok, no problem… we were then given the dinner menus. 5 minutes later she comes back to ask us what drinks we wanted again because she forgot to put them in… and turns out those drinks are no longer being served either. At this point, we were also told that the dinner menu u is not yet being served. We ordered new drinks from the menu that were available. They were initially delivered to the wrong table. It was 4:45 when we finally asked for the bill… then asked again another 5 minutes later… and for a third time another 5 minutes later. Left much hungrier than we arrived, and no longer in a good mood. Pretty ambiance though. Will not be returning. Sevilla across the street was wonderful.

I never write bad reviews. Until now. My parents are in the industry so no silver spoons here, but this was by far the most uninviting and hostile service I've ever experienced. We went there Saturday to celebrate our engagement with family (don't bother clicking on an event type when rsvp'ing btw, they couldn't possibly care less). It was so bad that we were actually getting a laugh out of it (like "what's next", I think we even had a bet about whether the waitress would roll her eyes on the next rare pass of the table), from "I hate you" attitude right out of the gate to wrong orders... you name it, it was there. There must be a lot of masochist regulars because I have no idea how this place is in business, or has a rating above 2 stars. They even bounced our payments at the end (I tried mine first and then had to ask a friend for help afterwards, which as a newly engaged husband to be trying to pay for his new family is kind of embarrassing, especially with the attitude from the hostess (think slow apathetic vocal fry)). His didn't work either and he thought of calling his bank (chase) because apparently they didn't trust them as a business. My advise would be to keep the bartenders (they seemed nice), and the kitchen staff, (food & drinks were above average for sure, interior design as well), but my god get rid of the waitresses and hostesses on that time slot, they were begging to be anywhere else. But my guess is that there's some "It starts from the top and trickles down" economics at play here or they wouldn't have the nerve to be like that. Avoid this place at all costs unless unless your sitting at the bar, ordering takeout ot just want to wait 40 minutes for a drink in an empty room and feel like a jerk for asking.

Clover Club is one of my favorite spots in Brooklyn. The cocktails are amazing, the food is really good, and the atmosphere is always great. The staff are friendly and know what they’re doing. It’s a perfect place to hang out with friends or grab a drink after work — always a great experience every time I go.

This place hit on all levels. The space is very nice. They also have a beautiful backroom with a fireplace. It's a neighborhood bar but they are very welcoming. The service is amazing. Tav and Gus were very nice and welcoming. The Cocktail Program is one of the best I've seen. I had the Oysters. They were fresh and 😋. The Happy Hour is very good. The prices on items that are not on the HH Menu are reasonable. I have to go back and try some other things on the menu.

What a great place! The food and service here are both 5 stars. Our group enjoyed every single part of our meal including the dessert and drinks. The place is on the smaller side but it doesn't feel cramped which is good. They don't accept reservations so it can be a long wait during peak hours. We went off peak and were seated right away thankfully. I can't wait to go back!

Bar
The Commodore is a low-key saloon that offers Southern dishes like fried chicken and biscuits. The place has a vintage feel with 1980s television playing in the corner, hipster grime on the floors, and cheap beer. It's popular among twentysomethings who pack into the low-slung booths early in the evening. The bar's high leather chairs are perfect for enjoying amaretto-topped Pina Coladas and indulging in plates of fried chicken.
Came in on a Sunday night, place was full and lively. Bartender Wes, couldn’t have been nicer and went out of his way to make us feel at home. We were just visiting for a possible move to the area. Place has a “cheers” vibe where everyone knows each other. Cocktails are top quality to where you would pay $25 for half the price.

I went late one Sunday night and not only were they open but the kitchen was too! (I believe the kitchen closes at 1am but make sure first). I ordered a Planters punch which tastes like hurricanes from Louisiana; plus a hot fish sandwich with small fries. The fish piece was big in size and fresh off the stove, you can still see the steam. Not spicy for me but others at the table agreed it was a slow heat. Thankfully there was hot sauce for me to use. The small fries are seasoned well with a mix of crunchy bits and a decent size to share between two people. The customer service was cordial and friendly.

I just don’t understand. Like how or why is it possible that this place has the most incredible chicken sandwich Ive ever tried in my life. Cheese sauce is heaven’s magma . I started at the fish tank during all my sandwich consumption. Very interesting and fantastic experience. I hope that whoever is reading this review enjoys this place as much as i did.

Came here in the afternoon just as the kitchen was closing. Debated for a bit and ultimately decided to stay because I’ll not be denied of my chicken sandwich lol. Started off with the Orange Julio, as if it’s the grownup Orange Julius. Two sips in and immediate brain freeze. The vibe is a bit chaotic but the bartenders did a great job making sure everyone is well-hydrated with drinks. Shortly before 5pm, my bartender gave me the food menu as if she could read my mind. I got the mild breast sandwich and a small side of fries. The sandwich came out piping hot and prolly the juiciest chicken breast I’ve ever eaten. Could it be a wet brine process..? However, the chicken was a tad too salty for my taste. Still, I inhaled the sandwich. The fries were okay..? Nothing special but an adequate companion to my sandwich. All in all, I was a very happy camper. I love the Commodore and I’ll be back for sure!

Stumbled on this gem while wandering the city on vacation. Southern food done right. The biscuit and fried chicken were soul-hugging, artery-questioning delicious. Cold beer on tap, old-school vibe that’s more charm than cheesy, and service that makes you feel like home. Shoutout to the curly-haired waitress who understood me and radiated warmth like she came from the South herself. 10/10 would get fried and fed again. 🍗💕

The fried chicken and a biscuit were fantastic! Definitely planning on coming back in for that! Atmosphere was pretty solid, it got really busy in the couple of hours we were there. A little frat boy/ broh'y.

The people were nice and the biscuits with honey were amazing. Bartender was nice too. The only problem is that I came to try their fried chicken and it was too much batter. I will leave a picture if everything that was batter. It was kind of ridiculous. If they could make that chicken with 1/5 of the batter I think it would be much better. It has an alright taste but it just kept breaking and making a mess everywhere. I kind of want to go again but I also don’t want to be disappointed again.

This historic venue has hosted numerous acclaimed productions, including a memorable 1996 show featuring talented actors like David Greenspan and Christopher Sieber. Visitors often rave about their experiences here, highlighting the cozy seating arrangements and beautiful stage design that enhance every performance.

A very comfortable off-Broadway theatre. The seats are very comfortable and you have plenty of space between you and the next row. No bad seat in house. We enjoyed the Duke & Roya show it was very powerful. The actors were excellent.

Came here for the “Duke&Roya” off Broadway show. The show was incredible, so highly recommend! 🦋 intimate theater, spacious & comfortable seats 🦋I personally was on the second row in the orchestra and the people in front of me very tall, so I had an obstructive view…it was very disappointing. the viewing angles are not good. You are basically at the mercy of how crowded it is and who is sitting in front of you. getting an aisle seat is best as you probably have the best chance for an unobstructed view 🦋 there’s a bathroom in the main floor and upstairs that are co ed.

Have seen some absolutely magical theater here, but my goodness, the sight lines in the balcony are absolutely horrendous. It’s worth it to show out to sit in the lower level. I’m mostly just posting this to remind myself the next time I’m booking here.

This review is just of the venue (the show I saw here was really good). The seats are comfortable, but the viewing angles are not good. You are basically at the mercy of how crowded it is and who is sitting in front of you. I think getting an aisle seat is best as you probably have the best chance for an unobstructed view. I did like the vibe of the smaller, more intimate room though. The seats pictured are from row D, 109-110.

Play: 5 Theater: 4 Happen to score a rush tix for a Wednesday night to catch Duke & Roya @ the Lucille Lortel Theatre. The Lucille Lortel Theatre is an off-Broadway playhouse at 121 Christopher Street in the West Village, built in 1926. The theatre is small and intimate with the typical tight seats and minimum leg room. Nonetheless, I digress. Now for the show... I honestly did not know what to expect and happy to say I thoroughly enjoyed the performances by the 4 person cast. If you were a fan of Issa Rae’s “Insecure” then you will be very familiar with the lead actor Jay Ellis in the role of Duke. The play is about romance, with cultural and circumstantial differences. Duke, a hip-hop superstar, meets an Afghan interpreter, at one of his performances at a military base in Kabul. The show was enjoyable and I especially enjoyed the role of Duke’s mother played by Noma Dumezweni. Overall a great catch if you can make it before the show ends. Just A Note: -Show ends August 24th, 2025 -Bar and restrooms located on the 2nd level.

Staff were very friendly & helpful. The theatre is small and cozy which allows great views of the stage and the actors. Located in the Gowanus section of Brooklyn, The Bell House is a former warehouse transformed into a vibrant bar and performance venue. With its vintage wallpaper, old wood beams, and a striking chandelier centerpiece, this quintessentially Brooklyn spot hosts an array of entertainment events but is particularly renowned for its comedy shows. From improv to audience participation and semi-scripted performances, the calendar is filled with hilarious options.
This was one hell of a way to spend an Easter. More appropriate way to spend a 4/20 though. I had been a fan of kaiju big battle during my high school years and forgot about it. Until a random email from stub hub jogged an old memory of foam on foam wrestling. The bell house itself was very well suited for the venue. They have a bar area out in the front when you enter. Then a decent sized event space in the back for the show. It was pretty much only standing room but easy to maneuver for a good view and far from cramped. This was theater of the absurd at its finest. The edibles hit right when they needed to and honestly couldn't imagine a more entertaining night.

Phillip, the security guard, was top tier! He took care of me and my best friend, & even laughed at me asking for his social security number 😂😂 he was very attentive & gentle! Honestly it was our first time at Bell House & he made it so welcoming that we can’t wait to come back. The bartender, Wyatt, was super sweet & our drinks were tasty. Steven was walking the crowd and taking orders, he was also very helpful & friendly. Oscar, from the front bar, was super fun & engaging. We came for the dysfunctional friends tour & although the show was great, the staff at the venue made it even better. I can’t wait to come back!

My friends and I had just got off a bus from Boston for a show and were running late, so what was left was standing room only. We were resigned to it but Philip saved our feet and hooked us up with some seats. I’ve been to the Bell House a few times before and my experience there gets better every time! Shoutout to all the security and staff (especially Philip), y’all make it a great place to come to.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I had such a great time at The Bell House! From the moment I walked in, the staff treated me so well. Philip, the security guard, went above and beyond—he helped me pick the best seats, let me save one for my friend, and even made sure people stepped aside so I didn’t have to worry about a thing. Super kind and professional. At the bar, everyone was just as amazing. I wasn’t sure about the difference between a lager and an IPA, and they happily let me sample both before choosing. The staff at the bar and snack bar were friendly, helpful, and even respectfully complimented my outfit—which honestly made my night. Also, bottomless popcorn. Yes, bottomless popcorn. I went to see A Drinking Game and it was hilarious—great improv, really funny performances, and just an all-around fantastic vibe. 10/10 experience. Highly recommend!

Pub
McSorley’s Old Ale House is a historic bar located in Manhattan's East Village, dating back to 1854. The establishment offers a unique experience with Irish bartenders and a choice of two types of ale - light or dark. The bar maintains its old-world charm with sawdust on the floor and serves beer in two eight-and-a-half ounce glass mugs for an affordable price.
A Return to One of My All-Time Favorite Pubs I first visited Mick Sorely’s Old Ale House alone in 2012, and this time, I came back with my wife. More than ten years have passed, but the place looks just as cool and timeless as I remembered. A female bartender was working the counter—stylish, composed, and friendly. I tried to order some nuts with my beer, saying “Nuts please!” (probably sounding like weird Japanese-English), but it didn’t get through… so I gave up and ordered cheese instead. What arrived was a plate of cheese with crackers and sliced onions— and to my surprise, the combination was absolutely perfect with beer. So perfect, in fact, that I ended up drinking six pints all by myself. After all these years, this place still holds its charm. Definitely one of those bars I’d love to return to again and again.

I was brought here by a Manhattan local. If you want to see Old New York, this is the place! 171 years! There is so much history in here I was blown away. Two choices for beer: Light Ale or Dark Ale. I went with the dark. McSorley's is a great place to stop in for a couple of beers and a quick lunch. Top notch service! And the sawdust floor was truly a delight.
MJ Y — Google review
One of the originals and still the best. Go here for a true Irish pub atmosphere. Tourist and locals mixing it up having a grand time. I live in Florida and the last time I was here was 30 years ago! Both times I’ve had a blast! Hint: you have two choices of beer, light and dark. Both delicious. You come in and order anything else you’ll get grief. Come here and enjoy!
Steve K — Google review
What can I say about the old ale house? You’re wrapped in history the moment you walk in. Sawdust on the floor, memorabilia covering the walls—it’s like stepping back in time. Today was the first time I actually sat down for a meal. I had the fish and chips (only served on Fridays), and it was excellent. The tartar sauce was exactly what I was hoping for, and the fish had an incredibly crispy exterior—reminded me of Ryan’s Week in Troy. They use a seasoned panko breadcrumb instead of the traditional beer batter most places go with, and honestly, it’s a great choice. Highly recommended.
Jeremy G — Google review
Had an awesome visit to McSorley's. Like walking back in time. Both the light and dark ales were great and the hotdog with sauerkraut and spicy mustard was legit one of the best I've ever had, The bun was super fresh, the dog very fresh with a good snap and the mustard was super sharp and delish!
Tom G — Google review
This pub was everything I had hoped it would be - a true step back in time. With only 2 types of beer - light or dark - this feels like it has remained unchanged since the 1850s. As soon as I stepped in, I was transported to a different era. This is a true NYC gem.

Very much worth the visit, great beer, fun people. Lots of folks stopping by since it's such an icon. Hard to take in all the stuff on the wall. Cash only, but there's is an ATM outside. And yes, that's sawdust on the floor.

Been here twice hoping things would improve, but it’s still the same. Great venue, nice ambiance with amazing bands, but the bartender is a disaster—an overgrown, tattooed tough guy wannabe. Rude, entitled, and quick to scare off customers. Tips are appreciated, not a ransom especially for tourists who may not know local customs. Refusing to serve people isn’t just unprofessional, it's pathetic.

Cool hipstery Williamsburg beer garden vibe with lots of space, a taco truck, and a music venue/club area. Supposedly the building used to be a pool supply store, which is reflected in the theming.

Such great fun! We went to see The Reverend and it did not disappoint. The concert venue is fantastic and the outdoor area is great for conversation. Didn't eat so I wouldn't know about the food. Would give it 5 stars except that I heard a bartender say to a group of tourists "if you don't tip we'll stop serving you". Ouch. I really like Le Bain! It’s a fun bar and nightclub, and they even have a Jacuzzi. My friends went last night before Memorial Day and were actually swimming in it there were big balloons, great music, and a fun crowd. The drinks were nice too. Rude staff, door person, yes the blond one. Over the top "we're so exclusive vibe" rude attitude but it was actually not at all. There's a little hot tub reeking of chlorine as you down your vodka, while staff try to find more ways to exclude and mistreat you. Views were SPECTACULAR! Music was house, and great DJ, so atmosphere was good, everyone dancing, a younger crowd though. We just happened to be there because friends were staying at hotel. Door person wanted to see a key for each person - seriously. Drinks were very watered down. Had a great time because with friends and good music, but would never come back. Worst experience I’ve ever had in a club. Even if you get in, the drink prices are outrageous and the venue is lame. All they have is decent restrooms. A weird hot tub. And good views of Lower Manhattan. But the drama at the front door is not worth it: I thought this club was okay, until I got rejected for entry for no reason. I visited this club many times before. But in Nov 2025, they let my entire group in, but not me and refused to give me a reason. They were so disrespectful that all of my friends left this venue along with me. Idk how they can stay in business while treating their customers with so much disrespect. People who go clubbing generally spend a lot of money. Nobody deserves racial or disrespect. Racist establishment. I’ve had better experiences here many times. But on Nov 01 2025, I came here and I got a racist bouncer who wouldn’t let me in no matter what. I’ve never experienced such racism in my life. She let my friends enter the club but not me. They let 4/5 people in my group in but not me. One of the female bouncers refused to let me in no matter what. They refused to give any reason. All of my friends and me ended up leaving the venue. I’ve never had such a hostile experience at a club. I’m there to spend money. To treat your customers in such a way is disrespectful. Your drinks are overpriced and the view of Manhattan isn’t unique to this venue anyways. I can’t believe I would not be let in as a frequent customer on Halloween and be shown such racism and contempt. I’m glad I didn’t spend more money here. Good luck to others who decide to patronize this place. I wouldn’t recommend it. Don’t patronize racist establishments. I’m from South India and I’ve traveled a lot, but I’ve never experienced such treatment anywhere in the world. Racism is not okay.

Cocktail bar
Bar
Attaboy is a trendy craft cocktail speakeasy located behind an inconspicuous metal door on the Lower East Side's Eldridge Street. The bar has an industrial-style space and doesn't have a menu, relying on its talented mixologists to create innovative and classic cocktails tailored to each guest's preferences. To secure a seat, it's best to arrive early as Attaboy doesn't take reservations.
We love Attaboy! We'd been here once before and decided to bring my boyfriend's mom. This place does not take reservations and we knew that, so we showed up outside the almost hidden entrance door an hour before opening. Unfortunately, it started pouring down rain 15 minutes before Attaboy opened their door. The staff knew the rain was coming and offered the first few of us umbrellas which was wonderful. However, the umbrellas didn't do anybody any good because it rained so hard. The bar next to Attaboy let us in there to wait until Attaboy opened. I think that bar was called Good Guys and it was a cool place too! All the staff was wonderful at both places. We were worried about who Attaboy was going to let in since we weren't in line anymore, but all the guests waiting in line were accommodating and honest to who was where in line so we got in when they opened. There is no cocktail menu - you tell the bartenders what you like or are in the mood for and they make you a drink! Every drink we've had here was unique and fit to our liking. Your table time is 90 minutes but it's a good amount of time. We love it here!
Kaytlyn C — Google review
It was my first time visiting a speakeasy, and Attaboy gave me a pretty great experience. Although we had to wait nearly two hours since they don’t take reservations, it was worth it. The experience is fun and unique — there’s no menu, so you can describe your drink using any words, and the bartender always surprises you with something amazing. There’s no dress code. Each drink we ordered this time was $23. No food is served here, so make sure to eat before you come!

No wait on a Tuesday around 6:30pm. They did well in marching their drinks to the what we were looking for in the descriptions we have them. At the end of the day, the quality of drinks were consistent with other cocktail bars of this caliber, but it’s a must-go as a NYC landmark cocktail bar. Two rounds for two people ended up around $100 total before tip. Service was friendly too!
Felix — Google review
Easily one of the best cocktail bars I’ve ever been to. There’s no menu, you just tell the bartender what you like and he’ll prepare a custom drink for you. I asked for an Amaretto Sour (which I’m actually really good at making myself) and his version was incredibly good. Lemons were fresh-squeezed and it was perfectly balanced. The person I was with doesn’t drink alcohol so the bartender whipped up a mocktail with ginger and cucumber that was equally amazing. You can tell they actually care about craft and flavor here. Overall the vibe is super lowkey and kind of underground. There was no sign out front. As we were looking for it I saw an old “alterations” sign and a couple stickers on the door that say “please wait to be greeted.” As we walked in, it was dimly lit, cozy, and everyone who works there is chill and down to earth. The whole experience just feels effortless and intentional.
Gus — Google review
Very cool experience and loved the concept of the bartender creating drink based on your preference of spirit and favorite cocktail (I asked for a tequila based drink that was mix of moscow mule and margarita: they created a masterpiece). Drinks were 25$ each and well worth the price. Service was great and ambiance was charming. Great place for birthday drinks !!

Famed nyc cocktail bar, defenitly worth the accolades. I love the no menu style. I’ve been here many many years ago. And have not been able to get in many times 😝, but got super lucky on my laststop in New York. Had some amazing classic style cocktails that were perfectly balanced, and sometimes You get something you didn’t even know you wanted. All of the drinks we had were perfect, the tiki drink was honestly a dead ringer for a Frankie’s (Vegas) cocktail, which is a great think except it’s twice the price 😆. If you can’t get to Vegas go for it though it’s delicious. I would come back again and again, just make sure to get here early. We had to stand which I would do again because you should always feel honored to get in but some people may not enjoy that. We did get a seat after our first cocktail though! Love you guys, keep doing what you’re doing, thanks for the penecillin! (Didn’t get it this time but it’s probably my favorite cocktail!)
Daniel M — Google review
Truly excellent craft cocktails! There’s no menu, so we ordered by describing broadly what types of drinks we like (as well as ordering specific drinks). Every cocktail was amazing - very creative, and it takes a good bartender to make a drink that’s a little bit different than what I described and still somehow exactly what I like. We arrived around 5:20 on a Saturday, and waited around 30mins to get a table - we waited at the place next door (the host took our number so didn’t need to wait outside) and that spot was really cool as well. This was actually our second attempt to visit Attaboy - last time was much later on a Saturday night (maybe around 10-11pm) and at the time the line went all the way down to the street so we didn’t stick around. So I would definitely recommend visiting earlier if possible, as they don’t take reservations.
Millie M — Google review
$30 (with tip) for a Gin & Tonic is absurd!! I wish they made us familiar with the made to order/crafting cocktails concept - we would’ve ordered something unique! We asked the bartender if they had a menu and he said no so we just thought “oh let’s just get G&T” but if they familiarised us with their concept of personalising drinks, we would’ve had a better experience and wouldn’t have minded paying $30 each!

Bartenders thought they were at a bar talking to each other rather than giving exceptional service, drinks were made overly sweet than when asked for drink to be fixed the bartender with the Nirvana shirt stated I’d be charged more if I wanted a stronger drink. She gave me the same drink and put a shot next to it, guessing she wanted me to pour it then possibly stir it with my finger. I hope the owner looks at the camera 10/26 from 1-2am these ladies don’t care about his business they are just there for a check.

Alligator Lounge is a no-frills bar that offers budget drinks along with free pizza, karaoke, pool, and Skee-Ball. On Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, the back room transforms into a lively karaoke scene where patrons fueled by affordable drinks and complimentary personal pizzas take to the stage to belt out emo and pop-punk hits from the late 1990s and early 2000s.
Chill and casual bar with a fun vibe! With any drink purchase of $6 or more, you get a free personal pizza—such a cool deal. The pizza guy was super kind and friendly. Great spot to hang out without breaking the bank
Maria V — Google review
This bar, without a doubt, has one of the most interesting gimmicks we’ve ever seen, but we’ll get into that in a minute. Alligator Lounge is a popular bar located in Williamsburg that gives off a strong college/recent grad energy. It is very packed and seating is at a premium. Beware navigating this bar can be tricky as a lot of people clog up the walkways so grip your drinks extra hard. They have skee ball and pool and the interior is decorated nicely, one of the better looking bars we’ve seen on our trip. They have a great selection of drinks and specials so it’s easy to find something that you and others will want to drink. And their gimmick? If you buy a drink you get a free personal pizza, we kid you not. You get a voucher when purchasing a drink and take that to the guys in the back and they make it there for you. You can pay a dollar extra and add on toppings but that’s a Costco-esque deal right there. To keep it short, this place reeks of fun and it’s easy to see why it was a go to spot for what felt like the entire neighborhood on that night out.

I was recommended this place from a stranger. Came straight here after a super long shift. Just wanted some food and a good drink. My bartender was so nice my drink was good. I'm waiting for pizza and the person making it sees me standing there and doesn't say anything so i'm thinking in line. after waiting 10 minutes he decided to let me know i have to wait on line and where i was standing wasn't the line. i basically finished my drink at that point and i didn't even want the food or another drink. COMPLETLY RUINED MY EXPERIENCE. i will NOT be coming back here

Baby's All Right is a popular haunt in Williamsburg known for its live music, gourmet bar fare, and creative drinks. It has become a go-to spot for both local bands and touring acts, with a stage lit by a unique wall made of ashtrays. The venue has hosted secret shows from artists like Blood Orange and afterparties for bands like The Strokes.
Awesome venue, super fun parties, great priced drink specials ($13 for a decently strong cocktail), super friendly staff. And it is WAY bigger than it seems! This video is just of the dancefloor but there's also plenty of seating (which you dont have to buy a table for!!!). This is my new favorite venue in all of NYC, every time I go I have a great time.
Ashley-Ann C — Google review
How do I begin. Maybe with the massive flood light that was blasted on the dance floor all night. If you’re looking for a sobering awkward dance experience this place is for you. You wanna see all your friends pores this the place for you. I tried to help but was met by this weird manager lady in an awkwardly awful striped shirt telling me if I don’t like it I could leave. Whatever it ain’t that serious I was there for a friend. But when I saw other people pointing it out we got 36 people on this tiny dance floor to sign a petition to turn it off, she decided to throw me out. I don’t blame the light/stage tech, they were gorgeous, or the security they were very sweet, but the manager clearly doesn’t get out much. I hope she reflects on this moment to understand the experience of dancing under a floodlight while having a late night out with friends, and understands that instead of being stubborn maybe just turn the light off lovey. It’s not that difficult. It wasn’t me getting people into it, as she claimed, but people coming together as a dance floor/customers to point it out as bad vibes. Doing tooooo much to curate awful vibes in some weird fit too. ANYWAYS IF YOU LIKE FLOODLIGHTS THIS THE PLACE TO BE.. But all us normal people will be elsewhere.
Jake K — Google review
Honestly one of my favorite venues. The lighting ISN’T blinding because it’s a beautiful array of lightbulbs on a wall plus some stage lights that never blind the audience. The artists are amazing, everyone is permitted their own instruments and the stage feels like it’s RIGHT there. The atmosphere is amazing. Staff looks and acts amazing too. My only grievance is the place was packed to the BRIM! Once the concert was over, getting to the merch table wasn’t even a line it was a packed, hot, sweaty, blob.

DO NOT GO FOR A LIVE MUSIC ACT. The sound system blows! The setup is more like a bar with live music playing in the background than the other way round. PS: Nothing wrong with the service or drinks etc, it’s just not the best place to go specifically for a DJ set.

Absolutely blown away by the Trinix show! The music was incredible, and the venue handled the sold-out crowd flawlessly. Huge shoutout to the bartenders – they were super nice and kept everyone served quickly. A perfect night!
Chanel M — Google review
I really want to love this place but it’s been hit or miss. The first live music show I went to here was great, no complaints. But the most recent one was 50 minutes late for doors, then there was another 40 minute wait between bands. It was a little ridiculous, especially for a show that was already scheduled for a late night time slot.

Night of Joy is a charming rooftop bar located in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. The bar is filled with antique decor and offers a laid-back ambiance for visitors to enjoy. The rooftop patio is a popular spot, especially during the spring through fall seasons. Guests can indulge in creative cocktails made with botanical ingredients and herbal infusions such as basil-lime vodka and hibiscus-cinnamon mezcal. Additionally, the bar features a frozen margarita machine for those looking for something more casual.
Great bar ! The atmosphere is amazing and full of history. I went there quite early, around 6pm, but there were some people. I had a great time just seating and enjoying my cocktail. The service and the staff were great as well. I will definitely come back ! Especially for the rooftop terrace.

Overall rating: 4.8 1 drink: $18.88 w/ tip I came here on a whim after going to a very pretentious bar & a terrible date. So happy I stumbled here because it was exactly what I needed. I came late and just came for cocktail & it was really dark. The service was friendly and I enjoyed the vibe of the place. I don’t have many pictures but will definitely be putting this place on favorites if I’m in the area again. I also love how dimly lit it is! Highly recommend.

Came here for a birthday party and the atmosphere of the bar is great but the drinks are laughably weak. I wouldn’t be upset about it if the cocktails didn’t cost almost $20. I was there with 30+ people and multiple at the birthday at some point commented about how weak even the speciality cocktails were. Really liked the way the place looked but it made me feel stupid to spend $60 on 3 cocktails that tasted like flavored ice. Ended up getting a beer at the end so i could drink something that wasn’t watered down. Super disappointing.

One of the best cocktail bars in Williamsburg! If you go on a weeknight, it’s usually quiet and a great spot for a date (lovely interior and a dimly lit room with candles on each table downstairs). Hotel Delmano is a popular upscale bar located in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. The ambiance invokes the nostalgia of old New York City saloons with its sepia-toned portraits, red wallpaper, leather chairs, and distressed ceilings. The bar offers a wide selection of beverages including a 100-bottle wine list and specialty cocktails to enjoy alongside raw bar items such as caviar, oysters, and crab.
Hotel Delmano – 4.5/5 We popped into Hotel Delmano for a quick drink while waiting for our table at Laser Wolf on a rainy Friday afternoon. Despite the weather, the bar was buzzing at 5:30 PM, and we were warmly greeted at the door. Opting for bar seating, we were quickly attended to by Lauren, our bartender, who was friendly and attentive throughout our brief stay. The highlight of our visit was the Meadowsweet cocktail—cucumber-infused mezcal, green Chartreuse, mint, ginger, lime, egg white, and a dusting of matcha. It was a beautifully balanced drink, with the cucumber and mint providing a refreshing base, the ginger and lime adding a zesty kick, and the matcha offering a subtle earthy finish. We also tried another mezcal-based cocktail served in a coupe with mint garnish, which was equally delightful, though the name escapes us. The ambiance of Hotel Delmano is reminiscent of a vintage speakeasy, with its curved marble bar, antique mirrors, and dim lighting creating an intimate and cozy atmosphere. It’s the kind of place that feels timeless, perfect for a relaxed drink or a quiet conversation. Although our visit was brief, the quality of the cocktails and the welcoming service left a lasting impression. We look forward to returning to explore more of their menu and soak in the charming ambiance.

If I could give this place half a star, that would be the most appropriate rating. The bartender was not only extremely rude but also seemed to lack fundamental communication skills. During a work dinner with some colleagues, it was unfortunately disheartening to endure such passive aggressive behavior and, at times, disorganization from the staff. We spent over $700 for a party of six, and this experience has definitely led us to seek dining options elsewhere. It’s a shame, as we had high hopes for our evening.

Great cocktail bar! Definitely gets busy so try to make a reservation on the weekend. Almost all of the cocktails I’ve had here have been so delicious. As far as food goes, the olives are some of the best I’ve ever had. I’ve never had a full meal here but all of the snacks/starters are great. The service is decent and the atmosphere inside is dark and sexy. The outdoor patio feels very euro. Great place for date night!
Midori G — Google review
I visited this location for the first time last night, and it will be my last. There was a rude white bartender with black hair who informed me that she would not serve me. When I asked why she was being so rude, she repeated her refusal while laughing, saying, "I will not serve you, and you don’t have a table here." I was really confused since I was at the bar getting a drink and was sitting on a bar stool. I approached the manager, who seemed to be in a daze, to explain how the bartender had treated me. He said, "Oh, I know she came in a bit out of it and even stuck her middle finger at me earlier." I asked, "Why is she working tonight if she's like this?" He responded, "Please do not tell me how to do my job." I was taken aback by how nasty and rude he was. As a woman of color experiencing this kind of microaggression, I felt deeply upset and still am.

The Lot Radio is a unique and cozy space that overlooks the Gotham skyline, offering a legendary broadcast and platform for dance, electronic, and diverse music genres. The venue features a studio with full view from its cozy cafe and patio garden seating. Despite some feedback on beer selection and occasional quiet music, it's still considered a lovely place to hang out. Visitors appreciate the warm atmosphere, great service, refreshing drinks like Funky Nassau, and the opportunity to discover new music through their YouTube channel.
The Lot Radio is one of my favorite places in Brooklyn for live music and DJ culture. I was first invited out through my street photography work, and it lined up with an HD and Friends residency set featuring DJ Janesita (Instagram: @_lajanesita) back in August ‘23. I’ve been a few times since. Usually reserved for Chicagoland’s Radio Muévelo Sunday programming, Janesita brought her fun blend of Latin house and juke to Brooklyn for a special set. It was her first time recording a blend like that live. I got to experience the place from the inside out, thanks to the chance to shoot inside the booth during her set. Afterward, we hung out at the picnic tables with HD, Janesita, a few fans, and new friends. It was a warm summer day, and the energy around the station felt real and easy as the sun was setting. The Lot Radio is always worth checking out. Whether for work or just hanging out, I’d love to come back and bring friends next time. Big thanks again to Janesita and the crew for a great day.

Really awesome spot, went here for the first time last night for a friend's bday chill. The vibe and the crowd and the part that night was simply joyous! What more can you want from an urban music venue?!? No pretense just good vibes. Oh and the cocktails were pretty awesome.

Here for a 50th anniversary kf Hip Hop event, and it was such a good vibe! I love when the DJ is positioned where the whole venue can see them. Staff was friendly amd I had a great time.

Had an amazing time at this venue that was right in my neighborhood! First time there and got to see one of my favourite bands~~The Damned twice! Great hospitality and Eric the manager is super cool. Beautiful space/venue and an intimate setting to get up close for performances. Highly recommend! 🎶

I've come here a few times for a few parties. Sunday for Funbox (deep house) and The Originals on Thursdays. The place itself is just an open floor plan. The first few times it was very hot but the last 2 times I've gone the AC was on. That made such a huge difference. The drinks are decently priced for the area. Unisex bathroom. The ONLY reason I do not give it 5 stars: BARTENDERS. They are not really very friendly. Also, one day I bought a LIIT (Long Island Iced Tea) and it came back pink. 🙄 C'mon dude. When I asked him to remake it because it was drink. He laughed it off and made another pinker drink. 👌👎 Just ask me how to make it. It is a downstairs establishment but awesomely enough there is an elevator for access. Great for handicapped. All in all, check what party is going on...choose your night and go with friends. Don't expect the bartenders to be part of your great night.

Great venue. The sound is exceptional. The speakers are very unique. I went for the Soul in the horn event. The folks there seem like Family, they know when your a newbie, But all are welcome and made to feel comfortable. The drink was decent. I had a cocktail. These Folks know how to Dance and have fun. Curated by: DProsper & Dj.Natasha Diggz. A party with #musician spreadout through this hall, playing horns of all types; as the Music placys. This is the best party in New York State !!

Great lil music venue underneath Chelsea market. A bit hard to find (enter from the south exterior side of the market), and drinks are very pricey, but a good spot for local music

Bar
Paul’s Casablanca, located on the westernmost end of Spring Street, is a chic cocktail lounge known for its Morocco-inspired decor and vibrant nightlife scene. The club, owned by Paul Sevigny, features a bar and lounge area in the front, a main room with DJs and a disco ball for dancing, and an overflow area in the back. Despite its exclusivity, it's popular among cool kids and fashion insiders.
So much fun. Service was quick and on point. Drinks were okay but the whiskey sour I ordered was pretty sub standard. Music was so good and the vibe was dope.
Jay H — Google review
Absolutely horrible staff, the woman at the door was extremely rude to me and my friends. It was my birthday and the door people treated us with no respect whatsoever. All the other reviews are accurate, do not go to this place unless you wanna ruin your night. Not sure what pedestal the staff thinks they’re on and where the aggression is coming from!

So me and my daughter, who is a influencer on social media “BarbieSwae” We’re excited to celebrate pride week at Pauls Dolls tonight as she was hosting unfortunately, a manager (not sure of her name but she was in charge brunette fair skin) decided to step outside of her jurisdiction of the club and come to the curbside where individual in our party were taking video and pictures… keep in mind we have a section inside and again we are the company of a HOST for the evening. She looked intoxicated to some level but I can’t say four sure but she began have fake friendly conversation with our limo driver who is outside of the limo waiting on us to be ready to go, she asked a limo driver that we had paid for “are these kids playing….” Without being able to finish her sentence, I intervened and let her know that this limo was paid for by us and we are with a host of the evening… she then began to have an attitude without apologizing for assuming what she assumed… also, I’m not sure who she was referring to as kids, but if all of us were in her establishment, who exactly is a child. It was disrespectful and it wasn’t her place and she was line. I hate having to throw the race card in it, but I highly doubt if our skin complexion matched, she would have questioned anything, but because we were of a particular race, we had an urban appeal and we were all young. She took that as a sign of maybe we can’t afford a limo, I was so flabbergasted and I was in shock that this was happening so it took a second for me to even feel the disrespect because this was coming from a manager who in that moment didn’t want to step away when she was told by us (after her insult) to step away instead responded that she would move on her own time. At that moment , I had reached my boiling point and I wanted an apology but she then retreated behind the velvet entry ropes with no remorse. I’m sorry, but in 2025 during pride season this was wild too experience. How dare she question out of her jurisdiction? Let alone disrespect the mother of a host at her (the manager) venue. Belittling a group of people who are trying to have a good time at your establishment who are clearly well over the age of 21 and most definitely considered adults!!! I am very upset, I am embarrassed, I feel that she was judging us and I will be contacting today during earlier hours to make an official complaint
Lala M — Google review
This place is such a letdown that I couldn’t let it pass. The whole thing seems to be a “performance” — staff putting on this aloof, too-cool-to-care act. Maybe that works for some people, but I’m not paying $30 for a cocktail to be treated like an inconvenience by people who aren’t even pleasant to look at. To be fair, the drinks were excellent and the bartenders themselves were warm and professional. The problem was the front-of-house, which felt like a parody of sophistication. Nina (or whatever her name is) seemed to be playing the role of a disinterested hostess, but with all the subtlety of a bad fringe theater production — the kind where you start wishing the curtain would fall just to put everyone out of their misery. I’ve had equally expensive cocktails at Bar Hemingway in Paris and Bemelmans Bar in New York, where you’re met with genuine charm and impeccable service. Casablanca’s atmosphere was the opposite: an overacted façade that felt cheap despite the price tag. Good drinks alone can’t make up for hospitality that leaves you feeling unwelcome.
Daniel B — Google review
Flamboyant staff that guards the line. They selectively screen and force certain people to pay a $300 bar tab by holding your credit card while others can go straight in. Funny how I had 6 other friends in there already and they tried to pull this stunt on me. They lost over $400 that night after my group decided to leave and we ended up in other cooler bars in the area. Avoid this obnoxious dying bar.
Shayan M — Google review
Overrated, dying spot. I went here to meet up with some friends, but I was individually refused entry for seemingly no reason. Had not been here in YEARS. It made zero sense, and the whole thing was frustrating. I wasn’t planning on going there anyway, but I was looking forward to catching up with my group. Instead, they had to leave, and we ended up going somewhere else. Extremely lame experience all around.
Jared K — Google review
recently visited this bar, and I must say, it was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had in NY. From the moment I arrived, the staff was unhelpful and rude. I highly recommend that you think twice before visiting. There are plenty of other options out there that value their customers and provide a much better experience. Save your time and money.
Bryan — Google review
Absolutely terrible staff and aggressive bouncers that will assault you and throw you into the street without question. The other reviews mentioning instances with rude staff are not one time occurrences, so don’t expect to be treated even half-way decent after paying $35 for a mediocre cocktail.

Love this club so much, but looks like it’s closed :( (see photo - it’s some restaurant now) So many good times here, hope they re-open somewhere!!

A couple of friends and I were at this place last week. We arrived there around 9 PM and the place was empty. If I could give 0 stars I would. Horrible costumer service, the drinks tasted like juice- I had a margarita that tasted more like a limonada, we were charged 5 dollars for a bottle of water and the bartender was very unprofessional, kept trying to get rid of us; mind you, the place was completely empty at this time.
Jessica G — Google review
Last night, September 9-10, 2023. I had such an amazing experience. The service was great! But the ambiance, music, and atmosphere made it feel like I was surrounded by family. I Had a great time dancing. I came from NJ and when I walked in I was double thinking of leaving, but no less then 5 minutes later I got sucked in to a wonderful experience. Thank you all, gracia por todo! El lokito 😁
Angela S — Google review
It was my first and last time visiting this place. The bartender was very unprofessional, we ordered some drinks. Her attitude made us feel very uncomfortable, she keep talking and laughing with her other friends of her I assume. And kept looking at us. Drinks were very nasty. And on top of that they charge you $5 for a bottle water. I know it’s not a bodega but cmon! We’ve been to a way better places in the city and the most you get charge for water is $3 like for real. It’s very understandable that it’s a bar but nah seriously don’t go there! Restroom are gross! And the men’s room doesn’t have a lock 😂😂

I went with a few friends and had a great time. It was all of our first time here and I think we were a little early for the usual crowd, 10/10:30 on a weekend night. Music was great - nice to get a way from the usual gay bar top 40 remixes blasting in your ear. Friendly bartenders. It seemed like all of the other patrons were straight, but like I said, I think we were early and maybe this is more of a late night bar. Definitely plan to visit again.

Salvadore, Miranda and Alan gave me an amazing first time experience. They treated me the best and the drinks are super freaking amazing. I so highly recommend this place. Such good vibes and an amazing DJ 🤎 the vibes are super great and they show alot of love to the young community. Will be coming back here 10000 times if I can.

Went around 1am Friday/Saturday. Place was lively. There was a drag show. Good music. Very friendly staff. Diverse crowd. Good looking respectful guys. Great local spot. It's simple. None judgmental comfortable and friendly.
Arshad B — Google review
I must admit that it is one of the places where I have had the most fun, I said goodbye to the old year 2018 and received the new year 2019, I still remember that day with my best friend, we danced, we drank, it was a very pleasant night. only when paying, my friend and I decide that each one will pay his own. My friend paid the full total of his bill. And I paid for mine with a $ 100 bill, and I never received my change, quite independent of the tip that was left to the bartender. he was supposed to pay me back 60 bucks but it never happened. I was not so drunk that I did not realize what was happening, but I was a little sad to ask him for my change ... In the end I told myself that he should keep it, he deserves it. I talked about this to my friend and he told me that another mutual friend had the same thing happened to him.

Cocktail bar
Nestled in a charming neighborhood, Maracuja is a delightful spot that offers an enticing menu of tapas and pintxos, complemented by an impressive selection of beer, natural wines, and cocktails. The name "Maracuja," which translates to passion fruit in Portuguese, perfectly captures the essence of this inviting bar.
This place is FUN! Me and some friends stopped in before a nearby dinner and had the best time. Bartenders were terrific, drinks were affordable/strong, music was great. We liked it so much we came back after our dinner, and have returned several times since.

Quite literally the best time ever! I had the shittiest week and Pam and Tay completely lifted my mood. Kevin brought the brightest smile to my face at the door. And one of the regulars here, Cesar, was one of the kindest souls I’ve encountered. The entire staff is so welcoming - also had the greatest hair. Truly felt like family here. This is the spot you need to be!!!!! Felt like a piece of home here.

Kicked out over a pool whiteboard. Let that sink in. This bar used to be great back when Charlie and Connie ran it-chill atmosphere, good people, and a local bar where you could enjoy a game of pool. That’s clearly no longer the case. I stopped in for the first time in a while and was hit with tense, aggressive energy around the pool table. It was my turn to play, and suddenly people were coming at me from all directions in the middle of the game, demanding to know where my name was on the whiteboard. One guy wouldn’t let it go and insisted I erase my name off the board and the names above mine, so I did to stop the chaos. Next thing I know, the owner demands to know who erased the names. I explained what happened - calmly, no attitude. His response, “You need to leave now. I'm kicking you out". I was so taken aback and asked if he was serious? He said, "you’re causing a scene, people are mad about the whiteboard, you don't erase the names. I tried to explain it to him again and he just said, you need to leave now.” Over a whiteboard misunderstanding. No interest in what actually happened, just immediate overreaction. I didn't argue, just grabbed my bag and walked out, confused and quite frankly embarrassed. Only after my friend stepped in did the owner try to walk it back with a weak “sorry for coming in hot.” Too late. You don’t get to throw someone out in front of a crowd and then casually reverse it once you realize you overreacted. I’ve spent years supporting this bar. Apparently none of that matters. If you’re into weird ego trips and whiteboard drama, maybe this place still works for you. I’m done.

great bar and great vibes, but for me the bartenders are the best in the city. never have a bad time here, helps that the pool table is v nice also
Cam S — Google review
My favorite place to be on a Wednesday. Pamela and Rio are my favorite bartenders of any place I frequent. Always a good time AND of course the music is always fantastic :) the pool table is also one of the best with a great crowd any day of the week
Julia K — Google review
One star. I used to love this place when it was owned by the original couple — they built a warm, welcoming dive-bar atmosphere. Since the new ownership, the vibe has completely shifted, and not for the better. My best friend was kicked out for no good reason. In the middle of her game, some random guy instructed her to erase her name and the two names ahead of her, which she did. Instead of clarifying what actually happened, the manager unfairly blamed her and threw her out — a completely unnecessary overreaction that showed poor judgment. Separately, one of the girls waiting to play mistook my friend for me (we’re both Asian). That kind of mix-up isn’t just frustrating, it’s racially insensitive and highlights the unwelcoming crowd this place now attracts. Between the manager’s mishandling of the situation and the increasingly cliquey, insensitive atmosphere, this bar has lost what made it special. What used to be a neighborhood gem now feels overrun and mismanaged, and it’s no longer a place I can recommend.
Tiff C — Google review
When I tried to get a drink at the bar, the bartender (tallish thin presumably white women) immediately asked for my ID very aggressively, and before I could even take it out she told me I had to leave. I am in fact 21, but she was so unbelievably drunk and slurring her words that I guess she was confused cause she refused to even look at my ID. For more context, I have a regular horizontal non expired new jersey license and I don’t even look young for my age. I came into the bar perfectly sober and able to pay so there was no reason for me to be denied service. This situation was extremely unprofessional, and it was so clear how drunk off her ass this bartender was that it honestly made me uncomfortable that she’d be serving me drinks anyway.
Valerie — Google review
I’ve never felt more comfortable being myself. It only took 5 minutes, and three shots, to think about how mal-equipped Better Help is to address my needs compared to treating that grandma couch as a chaise lounge. If there was ever a nurse who graced the cover of a blink 182 album, surely, they would be named either Rio or Tay.
