Brunch restaurant
Five Leaves is a trendy bistro located in Greenpoint, offering a unique blend of New American cuisine with an Australian influence. The restaurant is known for its creative take on traditional bistro dishes, such as the popular Five Leaves burger featuring pickled beets and harissa mayo, truffle fries, and ricotta pancakes served during weekend brunch. Inspired by actor Heath Ledger, the stylish establishment has become a beloved fixture in Greenpoint over its 10 years of operation.
Went for my friends birthday brunch and we had a reservation for 6. Honestly have nothing bad to say about this place! It is quite small so make sure to make a reservation if you don’t want to wait long! Service is great everyone was so kind. Food was amazing! They have great breakfast options until 3 and then a fabulous dinner menu! Probably the best margaritas I’ve ever had to be honest! Would definitely go again!
Jules R — Google review
Fries was so good and the watermelon in the watermelon salad was very ripe. Burgers were gigantic and hard to eat. Service was super super slow though. Lots of out door seating all in the shade.
Susie S — Google review
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Five Leaves never disappoints! The Moroccan Scramble was bursting with flavor—perfectly spiced, hearty, and balanced in every bite. Pairing that with their Ricotta Pancakes was absolute magic. The pancakes were light, fluffy, and indulgent, with just the right touch of sweetness—truly next level. The vibe is classic Five Leaves: lively, stylish, and welcoming, with a menu that always manages to impress. If you’re in the area, this spot is a must for both comfort and creativity
Jose B — Google review
Such a great spot! The ricotta pancakes were amazingly fluffy and just sweet enough. The crispy chicken sandwich and fries totally hit the spot. Staff was nice even though it was packed, and the outdoor seating’s perfect for a sunny day.
Yesse P — Google review
We ordered the egg sandwich, the big breakky plate, and a latte. The food tastes good—nothing mind-blowing, but definitely something I’d come back for. The egg sandwich has a rich, cheesy flavor, and the tomato sauce adds a great extra layer. I especially liked the sautéed mushrooms on the big breakfast—they have a unique herbal/spiced taste that stands out. The latte was just okay. Service overall was a bit slow, likely due to how busy it was, so be prepared for a bit of a wait.
Xinya X — Google review
Brunch Vibes Worth the Hype! Had brunch with my cousin and let me just say, every bit of the hype is so well deserved. We went on a weekday around 11am, so it wasn’t too busy, which made it even more enjoyable. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a warm welcome by the friendly staff. That energy sets the tone right away! I’d read about the Ricotta Pancakes and had to see what the fuss was about, they did not disappoint. We also had the Grain Bowl with a side of steak and halloumi, and every bite was packed with flavor and texture. I don’t drink alcohol, but I love a good mocktail. “Waters of Life” was a winner—especially if you’re into bold ginger and turmeric flavors like I am. Best part? You can treat yourself without breaking the bank. Trust me, this spot is a gem. I’ll definitely be back soon!
Barnie K — Google review
Their brunch was decent. Overall pretty tasty although the fries too salty. Service was ok. Could be more attentive. The vibe was off. Very cramped and chaotic. Not a relaxing brunch. But we were seated inside. Maybe the outdoor seating is better. In conclusion: meh

five leaves was the first restaurant i visited on my first ever trip to nyc in 2017. ever since then coming back here has become a tradition. 8 years on and the spot is still just as warm and welcoming, albeit way more busy which is incredible to see because the place deserves to thrive. easily my fav spot in the city (i fully blame the ricotta pancakes). i haven’t been to nyc in years but coming back here today felt like coming home in so many ways. thank you cody for taking such great care of me and thank you everyone at five leaves for even making a tourist feel like a part of the community. 🫶 (also pls restock those tote bags, the nation needs them!!)

Sunday In Brooklyn, located on Wythe Avenue, is a popular three-story American restaurant that offers a relaxed neighborhood atmosphere and excellent food. The restaurant features a marketplace, barroom, upstairs dining room, and garden. It's always bustling with locals and offers an extended menu for dinner. Signature items like the burger and black cod pastrami are available throughout the day. The place is known for its malted pancakes with hazelnut maple praline and brown butter.
This place was absolutely perfect for a small birthday brunch. They added little touches to make your experience wonderful. The food options were great, and the drinks were really good (my favorite was the Sage Fright). Heads up, depending on when you go, the menu does change. The place seemed to get packed, but we had reservations and were seated quickly.
Sonia R — Google review
First visit to Sunday in Brooklyn (fittingly, on a Sunday). We grabbed an outdoor table for two right away — surprising, since I expected the place to be packed. The vibe outside was great on a nice day. What we ordered: • Cheddar Scramble – Eggs with Long Island home fries, multigrain toast, and avocado. • Sunday Pancakes™ – Hazelnut maple praline, brown butter (we went with a double stack). • I added an iced mocha (okay), and I skipped the OJ since it didn’t look freshly squeezed. The food? Solid but not mind-blowing. Scramble was fine, pancakes were sweet and indulgent, but overall it landed closer to a 3/5 than a “wow.” Drinks were passable. Why 4 stars instead of 3? Quick seating, outdoor ambiance, and the novelty of hitting Sunday in Brooklyn on a Sunday. Food wasn’t bad — just not destination-worthy. Would come back if I’m nearby and curious to try something else. Last visited: August 24, 2025

The service amazing. For 2 people they offered a 2 person table, outside or inside, they sat us right away. The food was Fast and tasted fresh. Eggs were done perfectly, soft scrambled, bacon crispy, potatoes were a little too salty, and the shakshuka was a little disappointing, like salsa with pouched eggs, but the bread was crisp and yummy when dipped into the bowl. However, the Sunday pancake was amazing. It’s was like a mini fluffy yellow cake with delicious buttered maple all over. not a maple taste but like a chocolaty buttery nutty flavor. “It was like a reward”. We enjoyed it the most. Overall we understand the hype and definitely recommend to try it for yourself.
Mar T — Google review
Visited Sunday in Brooklyn for brunch and honestly, wow. We got the pistachio hummus with wood-fired flatbread — probably the richest, most flavorful meze I’ve ever had. A total must-try (and so generous we couldn’t even finish it!). Also ordered the warm grain bowl, and it arrived in what felt like 5 minutes — unbelievably fast service. The bowl itself was pure comfort: warm, rich, and beautifully balanced. The eggs were cooked like a soufflé — soft and melting — topped with a gigantic half avocado and a generous handful of pepitas (which I love and rarely see done this well). The rice underneath was so delicious. Finished with a cappuccino, served instantly in a lovely porcelain cup — the perfect touch to end brunch. Our server was incredibly kind and attentive, checking in often to make sure everything was perfect. Honestly, one of the best brunch experiences we’ve had in
Beyza A — Google review
Loved the vibes, service, good, and drink. We had the pancake which was enormous but tasted so good especially with its hazelnut chocolate topping. The marshmallow latte was so good. Service was quick and very professional; I would not hesitate to recommend the place and would love to go back again and again to try other dishes

Great find for brunch in Brooklyn! I’m visiting family in town and decided to meet my bestie who lives in Queens for brunch. We searched for breakfast spots nearby and found Sunday in Brooklyn because of its high ratings and appealing menu options. As a former brunch server, I first discovered shakshuka at my old restaurant and instantly fell in love with the robust flavors and perfectly runny poached eggs. While I’m usually an American breakfast type of person, I occasionally love to branch out and try something more adventurous. The Experience: • No wait time - we were seated immediately outside (wasn’t asked about seating preference, though I would have loved to sit inside and check out the interior decor) • Perfect for people watching while catching up with friends • Our server Cameron was overall kind and sweet, though he seemed a bit overwhelmed during busy moments and missed a few requests - had to ask the server assistant for help with some items • Small note: servers should introduce themselves by name (I had to ask for his name after ordering, as I like to greet people personally) What We Ordered: • Oat milk masala chai - delicious and beautifully presented • S’mores latte - gorgeous display • Shakshuka with extra homemade focaccia bread (needed every drop of that amazing sauce!) - loved it, though next time I’d skip the feta • Hazelnut praline pancakes and BLT for my friend The portion sizes are generous and satisfying. I’m definitely planning to come back with my partner to explore more of the menu - there’s so much I want to try! Highly recommend for anyone looking for quality brunch with interesting options beyond typical American breakfast fare.

not many vegetarian options and the one we ordered that we were told is a good veg option actually had pork in it which was so disappointing. beet hot chocolate was yummy and fries were yummy. Vibes were also nice but as a vegetarian did not enjoy much
Prerana D — Google review
The pancake looks great.. until you take a bite and feel like you're swimming in sugar syrup. Sweet tooth or not, it's overwhelmingly sweet. The black coffee is not great either. On the bright side, the staff are nice and the vibe is great. wish the food matched the energy.

Clinton St. Baking Company is a popular American restaurant in the Lower East Side known for its weekend brunch and delicious pancakes. The eatery, opened in 2001, offers a menu featuring items made on premise, including buttermilk biscuits and raspberry jam. Their famous blueberry pancakes are a must-try, although there might be long wait times on weekends due to their popularity. In addition to pancakes, they also serve breakfast for dinner before 11PM.
My visit to Clinton St. Baking Company was an experience that certainly lived up to its reputation, though with a few caveats. Getting a reservation, especially on a weekend, felt like a quest, so I opted for a weekday evening. The atmosphere was bustling and lively, definitely on the noisier side, which meant it wasn't the spot for a quiet, lingering conversation, but it had a charming, classic diner vibe. The service was consistently excellent; the staff were attentive and efficient despite the crowd. Now, for the food – the pancakes are truly exceptional. Fluffy and delicious, particularly the blueberry ones with their warm maple butter, they are an absolute must-try. Their signature chicken and waffles also lived up to the hype; the chicken was huge, crispy, and paired perfectly with a fantastic hot sauce, offering great value. I was also pleasantly surprised by the salmon burger, which was incredibly tasty, and the double bacon was like delicious beef jerky. While most dishes were fantastic, I found the truffle Brussels sprouts a tad salty, and the crispy potato pancakes weren't as crispy as I'd hoped. The seasonal drinks, like the hot buttered rum, were unique and strong. Despite the potential for long waits and the bustling environment, the quality of the food, especially the baked goods and signature dishes, makes Clinton St. Baking Company a highly recommended spot for an indulgent breakfast or brunch. Just remember to book ahead!
Mohammad H — Google review
If there’s one NYC spot that truly lives up to its breakfast reputation, it’s Clinton St. Baking Company. I finally tried their famous pancakes this weekend, and let me tell you.. they deserve every bit of the hype. Fluffy, lil crispy on outside, and served with their homemade maple butter sauce that’s honestly addictive.. it’s what makes this dish so uniquely delicious. We also ordered the raspberry yogurt cupcake (light, tangy, and perfectly balanced) and their fried chicken, which was crisped to perfection with a beautiful honey dressing and some hot sauce that tied everything together. Every bite felt like comfort food done right. Simple ingredients, but executed flawlessly. The best part? Despite it being a weekend morning, I didn’t have to wait in the infamous line (which can get really long). I booked ahead on Resy, and it made the experience seamless, definitely recommend doing that if you’re planning a visit. Bottom line: come hungry, book ahead, and don’t skip the pancakes. They might just be the best in NYC

Hands down one of the best brunch places in NY! We been coming here for years and is always consistent! The food is delicious with great quality and the cappuccino always on point! Our favorites are the Blueberry Pancakes (super fluffy), Chicken and Waffles (crispy) and the Special Waffle with the seasonal fruit (fresh). The Maple Butter is a perfect combination! Plenty of indoor seating. Service is always excellent and efficient! Staff always friendly! Also, make a reservation it gets really busy specially on the weekends. Highly recommend it!

Famous for pancakes—and it deserves the hype. The blueberry pancakes are incredibly fluffy with crisp edges and warm maple butter that ties everything together. The chocolate-chip stack is rich and melty without being too sweet. Portions are big (a stack of three is easy to share). Cozy NYC brunch vibe with friendly service and a chalkboard of specials. Expect a wait—go early on a weekday if you can. If you love brunch, this spot is a must.

Clinton Street Baking Company is the perfect spot for breakfast any time of day, even dinner! My friends and I shared an amazing spread: the Brioche French Toast with caramelized bananas, Pancakes with Warm Maple Butter, Crispy Potato Pancakes, and a Fried Chicken Sandwich. Every dish was flavorful, comforting, and very filling, definitely come with an appetite. The staff were kind, patient, and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed, even with a last-minute to-go order. The space at night feels cozy and relaxed, with warm lighting and a lively atmosphere that makes it great for groups or a casual night out.
Isabella B — Google review
I went for breakfast and ordered the famous blueberry pancakes with a side of bacon. The pancakes were delicious — light, fluffy, and perfectly cooked. The warm maple butter they serve on top is out of this world and really makes the whole dish stand out. You can tell why these pancakes have the reputation they do. The side of bacon was great too, crispy and flavorful, and paired perfectly with the sweetness of the pancakes. The coffee was good and the service was friendly even though the place was packed. There was a huge line when I arrived in the morning, so definitely make a reservation if you can or go early. It’s one of those NYC breakfast spots that truly lives up to the hype.

Wonderful brunch in a cool neighborhood in NYC. Loved the big windows. Hope they can expand somehow. Everything we got was delicious, though they are light on the salt. Didn’t mind! We started with coffee and a hot buttered rum. Our mains were Spanish scramble with biscuit, Clinton St omelette with biscuit, and blueberry pancakes. I’ll admit I have a sweet tooth but the buttered rum and pancakes were the stars of an already delicious show. We’ve already made a reservation for our next visit.
Stacie L — Google review
This place is an absolute gem for brunch lovers! I tried the Wild Maine Blueberry Pancakes with Warm Maple Butter, Latke Eggs Benedict, Fried Chicken & Waffles, Espresso Martini, Habanero Margarita of the Day, and Key Lime Meringue Pie, and everything was delicious! My absolute favorite? The blueberry pancakes, hands down the best pancakes I’ve ever had! Fluffy, warm, and bursting with flavor. The chicken & waffles were a close second, crispy, savory, and perfectly paired. The drinks were just as impressive, especially the espresso martini. The vibe here is chic, classic, and inviting, perfect for a girls’ brunch, a date, or just treating yourself. I’m already looking forward to my next visit. Highly recommend!!!

Chez Ma Tante is an American restaurant in Greenpoint, offering Canadian-inspired dishes and a sought-after wine list. The place exudes Brooklyn charm with its low-key vibes and sleek, minimal decor. The menu features European-influenced brunch options like salmon gravlax, egg and sausage sandwich, and quiche lorraine. Their famous pancakes are a must-try, known for their crispy exterior and soft interior.
What a pleasant brunch experience! Pancakes 10/10, of course. The quintessential pancake you think of when you’re craving a hot cake! Buttery and crispy, oh so good. The fries? Unbelievable. With the RIGHT amount of aioli on the side (lots). The sleeper hit? The cantaloupe and prosciutto- WOW. Easily the freshest, juiciest, most perfectly sweet cantaloupe I’ve ever had paired with high quality prosciutto, a salty sweet match made in heaven. Run, don’t walk!

This cute French Brooklyn Cafe is a homey fun place for dinner or Brunch. The wine list is amazing serving so great natural wines. The menu is unique and delicious, with a twist of worldly cuisine mixed into a French inspired menu.

Finally got here for one of their famous brunches and completely lived up to the hype. The food was outstanding, the sausage gravy and biscuits was pepper, creamy delicious with every bite. Honestly every plate that arrived on every table looked magazine quality. The service and atmosphere were perfect for a group or table for two. Looking forward to coming back again and again

I love Chez Ma Tante. It's my favorite restaurant in Greenpoint. The vibe is very casual, cozy, and romantic. I love coming here for a date night. The dim lights and the restaurant's aesthetic are very chic and quaint. The food doesn't disappoint. We got the chicken pate for an appetizer, which didn’t look appetizing, but it was pretty good. We also got the fries, which were hot and crispy. The menu is seasonal, but the pork shoulder must be their signature dish since I got the same thing years ago, which is my go-to meal here. My boyfriend got the duck. They were okay, kind of hard to chew, a bit tough, even though the flavor is there. We didn’t have enough room for dessert, but the last time I was here, I tried their olive chocolate cake. I 100% recommend it. For drinks, I would choose their wine options. I’m not a big fan of their cocktails.
Monica P — Google review
Been here for both brunch and dinner. Love the elevated takes on simple, European-style dishes. My pork shoulder this evening came out purple and impossible to cut. The team happily refired it, delivering a dreamingly tender cut with a deep pink blush. Beautiful piece of meat in the end, and they even took it off our check. Thanks for being on top of it. Duck was beautiful too. Can't wait to come back for another neighborhood meal.
Nick M — Google review
We came here for weekend brunch with a reservation and had a great experience. The service was friendly and the food came out quickly with little wait between dishes. The egg sandwich and the gigante beans with mushroom ragu were both solid, and the pancakes stood out. They were crispy on the outside, fluffy yet crumbly inside. They were a touch heavy on the butter, but still enjoyable. Overall, a satisfying brunch spot with efficient service and well-executed dishes.
Osama M — Google review
I’m so disappointed with this place 😔😭 Normally, I’m a very easy person to please. I’m not the type of person who writes bad reviews at all, but in this case, I’d like to share my experience. Because I hate spend money with bad food. After waiting 30 minutes, we finally got a table, excited to try the famous pancakes and a few other things. Besides the pancakes, we ordered bacon, eggs, and a quiche. The pancakes were okay and worth trying, but they were missing something to complement them — like jelly or some fresh fruit — because they only came with butter and syrup, nothing new or extraordinary. The eggs and bacon were extremely oily, and I couldn’t eat everything. I only ate the eggs because I was very hungry and didn’t want to look for another place to eat. I really wanted to come here and give a good review, but unfortunately, that was not my experience.
Flavia P — Google review
We all agreed that the pancakes were good for first bite, but afterwards it was just too heavy and oily from the butter. Maybe some people love it, but it’s too much for me 😮‍💨 I did like the fries though..but overall the experience was quite hectic and we felt we were somewhat being rushed.

Bubby's is a popular weekend brunch destination known for its homestyle American cuisine made with locally sourced ingredients. The restaurant offers daily brunch and is famous for its outstanding blueberry sourdough pancake, which has a thin, slightly crisp exterior and a flavorful, custardy interior. The name "Bubby" means grandma in Yiddish, but the restaurant's pancakes are anything but old-fashioned.
Love Bubby’s and waiting lines are not as bad as it seems. Must have the Nutella and berry jam’s pancakes. Huge, definitely for, at least, 3 people sharing. I usually split a salted and a sweet dish in 2 but pancakes are huge. Should go with plenty space for that brunch! Fries are really good too. Not the house ones tho
Marina A — Google review
Tried the James Beard pancakes, specifically the Pancake Flight. This consists of three different toppings. If you are not a huge fan of sweet, then forgo this. These pancakes were thick, but so light and fluffy. Would definitely go back for this alone. The other two dishes were the Cheese Grits Breakfast and Bubby's Breakfast. Nothing notable, but the cheese grits were good. Pro tip, I went for Sunday brunch and the line was LONG but the three of us opted to sit at the bar. Waited only 10 minutes and the service was excellent. It was also interesting to watch the bartenders in action during peak capacity.

A rare perfect breakfast! I really enjoyed the huevos rancheros, and two of my friends said that the biscuits in their biscuits and gravy were literally the best biscuits they had eaten. We split the pancakes with toppings and thought they were amazing, although all three of us felt glad that we hadn't ordered it as our main dish since they were so filling. We hit several already-researched restaurants on our short trip to NYC and this was definitely one of the highlights!

Had a delicious breakfast here, so glad I came! Visited around 8am on a Tuesday - was able to sit at the bar. Service was great, very friendly and responsive. I got the Hibiscus Iced Tea - server gave me extra simple syrup on the side if I wanted it sweeter. The Chicken and Pancakes were PHENOMENAL. The chicken was piping hot and crispy, perfectly seasoned and a generous portion. The pancakes were thick but still light. The butter and syrup provided allowed me to customise to my preference. I broke up the rosemary stick over the pancakes and omg I am totally putting rosemary on my pancakes from now on, it was next level delicious. The vibes are great, the staff are all friendly and smiley and the food is perfection. 10/10.

went to Bubby’s for breakfast, and although it was packed with about a 45-minute wait, it was absolutely worth it. The atmosphere was lively and cozy, the kind of bustling New York breakfast spot that makes you feel like you’re part of something special. I ordered the homemade home fries, which came Southern-style with sautéed onions and peppers. They were perfectly seasoned and had that crispy, golden edge that’s hard to get just right. The highlight, though, was the fried chicken and pancakes served with bourbon maple syrup. The pancakes were fluffy and rich, with a twist, there’s sour cream in the batter, which gives them a subtle tang and an extra tender texture. It’s a small detail that makes a big difference. I also sampled the cheese grits, and they were creamy, comforting, and full of flavor, a perfect side to round out the meal. Overall, Bubby’s delivered a fantastic Southern-inspired breakfast experience right in the heart of NYC. If you don’t mind the wait, it’s a must visit spot for a hearty and memorable brunch.

Reserve ahead of time! The lines get crazy so you may want to skip them. The service was the best here, very friendly and accommodating staff, however the food was okey… people say they have the best pancakes but honestly they seemed overloaded with toppings and nothing out of this world. Food comes out veeeeeery fast so definitely a plus. The siting for two people is uncomfortable, it is directly in the air conditioning blast and the tables are very near to each other so it is difficult to get in and out.

Good food… The stuffed French toast which was the week special was different… The potatoes were also exceptional! The 45 minute wait in line was craziness… Depends on how much you crave this. Service was quick and efficient… Minnie was extensive. We went on a rainy day in October so outdoor seating was limited… Only recommendation is to go early if you don’t want to wait in crazy long lines

The hostess Lena was incredibly kind and very efficient. The line for a table was long, and yet she was able to get our party seated quickly. Our server Alex was also wonderful. She was nice and very attentive. The food was great, as always! Highly highly recommend Bubby’s for anyone who may be visiting the city. Thank you guys for a wonderful experience.

Toms Restaurant is a classic diner that has been a neighborhood institution since the 1930s. It offers traditional breakfast and lunch dishes in a nostalgic setting. The restaurant is known for its quirky decor and friendly atmosphere, often attracting a lively crowd. While there may be a wait for a table, the staff keeps guests entertained with free coffee, food samples, and orange slices. Toms is famous for its big breakfasts, particularly the lemon ricotta and cinnamon roll pancakes.
Old school diner with great selection of pancakes, 11 different ones, and sandwiches. Great service in a no frills place is always a treat. Bring cash or hit the ATM inside as no credit cards, which good for them, keep the money in the restaurant!!

some of the best pancakes i have ever had in my entire life… i’m not exaggerating. we also got the reuben which was to die for. they bring special sides of butter (including strawberry butter) and the ambiance inside is that of the perfect, classic, breakfast diner (the way it should be). This is a great place to stop before going to BBG (that’s what we did)
Lily F — Google review
Disclaimer: This is my personal experience. If something doesn’t go as expected, I always believe in giving the restaurant a chance to make it right. Most places will, and Tom’s definitely did. I stopped in craving something specific — an open-faced beef sandwich — even though it wasn’t on the menu. I asked, and they made it happen without hesitation. The beef was tender, layered over toast, and smothered in rich brown gravy. Total comfort food. Nothing fancy, just honest flavor that hit the spot. It’s the kind of old-school hospitality that makes you feel like more than just another customer. Major appreciation to the team for saying yes when they didn’t have to. Sometimes the best dishes are the ones made off-menu with a little heart.

Don’t be intimidated if there’s a line, there is a lot more seating than there appears to be. You should be in after 10-15 minutes tops. That being said, I ended up getting the Danish pancakes, I was expecting it to be a little cheesier, but I would liken it to a blueberry tart in pancake form. It was really good, I also got a strawberry milkshake which was good too. I would recommend splitting with someone if possible as they give a lot more food than you think you will get. I saw most people around me leave food on the plate, I know that is a good problem to have.

The best cinnamon roll pancakes I’ve ever had . Decided to visit here instead of IHOP super last minute and was such a wonderful choice . I dined in with my best friend and we had an amazing time. We didn’t spend much and the vibes were immaculate. The food was served fast hot and ready. 10/10

I love every time I eat at Tom’s. The staff is incredibly efficient and the food exactly satisfies the “classic diner” craving. We arrived around 2:30 on the Sunday, were sat at a table in 15 minutes, and our food came our way a little more than 7 minutes after we ordered !!! My favorite place to meet old friends for a substantial meal 🤌🏼

Pies 'n' Thighs is a casual and diverse diner known for its crispy, juicy deep-fried chicken made from organic or humanely-raised ingredients. The menu also features delectable homemade pies with unique crusts, along with other Southern comfort foods like fried catfish, spicy mac and cheese, and award-winning buttermilk biscuits. The restaurant is run by three innovative women who previously worked together at Diner.
Went here with a friend for dinner and it was a great experience overall. Food: I forgot to take photos (of the mains) but I had the chicken and waffles and it was so good! The chicken was cooked perfectly and seasoned to the tee. The waffles were soft but very flavorful as well. My friend and I split an old fashioned donut and the banana pie as well with extra cream! Make sure to ask for extra cream it really makes the desserts worth it! Service: Quick and fast! The staff always asked us if everything was good and if we needed anything extra. Atmosphere: Such a quiant little shop in Williamsburg! Gives a shop around the corner vies for sure. Would def come back!

Come for the chicken stay for the pie. I got the chicken and waffles, it's bone in chicken very crispy taste great. The waffles are soft and come with some cinnamon butter and blueberries. I had never had c&w with blueberries but it adds such a nice flavor. I also got a slice of apple pie warmed up with ice cream. The apple pie is fresh and full of flavor, just the right amount of food not huge plates or huge slice. The rest of their pastries and menu look just as good, will be back and trying the biscuits.

Pies’n’Thighs is one of the best spots in Williamsburg for southern comfort food, handmade pastries and local craft beer. Their cinnamon roll is incredible - chefs kiss! It’s soft, buttery, you can tell they’re fresh from that morning - think Cinnabon but better. I’m always down for a sweet treat and everything here hits - the pies, the pecan crunch donut, ugh everything is just so good when it’s made from scratch and so much care. The Hippie Banjo for brunch (hello Sprouts!) and the Fried Catfish Plate are my other favorites. I love their sandwich bread (pro tip I think you can buy it) and the tarter sauce for that catfish is perfection. They also carry really good local craft beer from other half, evil twin and Grimm, which makes dinner and weekend brunch even better. The staff is always friendly and knowledgable- they know exactly what to recommend- the GM even told Me about their new ice cream shop, Heap’s Ice Cream ,where they use Pies’n’Thighs pastries for ice cream sandwiches (like what, def going next time) Last week I tried the chicken tenders (I think they’re only in house) and they were juicy, crunchy and full of flavor. The sauces were great too but I’m a Ranch girl through and through. The food and drinks give an elevated vibe at night, but it’s also the perfect cozy bakery to stop for coffee and pastries on the way to work. I highly recommend Pies’n’Thighs - good food, good vibes and the nicest staff.

Omg!! I was from out of town and saw this restaurant on yelp. It was within walking distance of my hotel. It’s cute. And everyone is super nice. I recommend the chick and waffles so tasty. And it was a lot of food. I want to come back and try the catfish and sour cherry and peach pie.

Been many times though last time was years ago. Ordered online for pickup. At first I was impressed that the price hasn't changed all that much. But then I opened up the order. What a joke. While it was tasty, id be shocked if the chicken part was more than 2oz. To give you a sense of the size, its a very thin cutlet a little bigger than your standard ketchup packet. 5 stars is for the memory of what was, and 3 stars for what is. So 4 is in the middle.

My Fried Pickles were Everything!!! Ordered Catfish with grits & eggs (scramble soft) this was absolute perfection with some hot mint tea 2nd order was The Fried Chicken with mashed potatoes & a side of Mac-n-Cheese which was amazing also The highlight was the biscuit with the honey butter(so delightful) Left with 3 slices of perfect pie (apple, pumpkin, & bourbon pecan) Will be back soon!

Cafe Luluc is a charming French eatery located in the Carroll Gardens neighborhood, offering both indoor and garden seating. This popular spot is known for its delicious brunch menu, with classics like pancakes topped with mixed fruits and Black Bear maple syrup. The cozy and eclectic ambiance adds to the overall experience, making it a favorite among locals.
I've been here about 6 times. I haven't been disappointed AT ALL! Which is why my husband and I keep coming back. I've had the tacos, salmon, pancakes, and today my husband had the French toast. The food is awesome. The service is great. The atmosphere is cool. They even have a cute, quiet, little corner to eat if you're dining alone which I've done and read my book. They also have an outside area in the back. I plan on becoming a regular here. 10 out of 10 HIGHLY recommend!

Tasty Brunch Spot, fluffy pancakes and mimosas 😋🥞🍾 Came here back in November and just now getting around to this review…but it was memorable enough for me to remember this Sunday morning with my sister and hubby. Wait wasn’t too long but there is a queue…earlier is better. Menu has standard breakfast, brunch and lunch fare. I ordered the salmon salad and was pleasantly surprised with the generous portion of salmon, avocado and crisp fresh veggies. Salmon was cooked perfectly. Pancakes were so good. Crisp edges and fluffy goodness. Hard to share this. Eggs Benedict - good, potatoes could have been a tad more seasoned but they were cooked nicely. Love that you can order just one portion. Mimosas were a good accompaniment to a great brunch. Service was fast and attentive. Nice, lively neighborhood eatery.

Great pancakes and cute atmosphere. We didn’t have to wait to long even with no reservation. Bacon was crispy. I want to come back sometime for dinner! CASH ONLY

Great brunch spot especially when the weather is nice and you can sit outside. Everyone there is super chill, the vibe of the restaurant is cool, food is delicious and the portions are generous. It gets a little crowded during peak brunch hours and there’s wait time even with a reservation but the place is definitely worth it.
Lou M — Google review
So crazy thing but I must say, worst thing here is the pancake. I know it gets all the hype and the other reviews are true, crispy edges and fluffy inside but that’s literally it. The actual pancake has no flavor and needs syrup. I am a fan of specialty pancakes with the fruit in flavor baked/cooked in. If you want a classic pancake that requires copious syrup, here you go! Otherwise skip that. Otherwise the food was shockingly good. We got a couple sunny side eggs and sausage (delicious of course), the open faced grilled chicken sandwich and chips and guacamole….that might have been the best chips and guacamole I’ve ever had. And based on the comments about the chilaquiles I think the sleeper here is the Mexican food. The grilled chicken sandwich was good, great sauce and stuffed once you tried to close it. The sourdough was delicious and toasty. I saw another table order chips and guacamole and clearly got more chips than us so they aren’t standardized with that unfortunately. Our service was also incredibly slow. I saw people who sat after us get food, drink, and get order taken before us. We waited about 20 min to get our orders taken and the food took long to come out. Unfortunately sandwich is not pictured. The Shirley temple was quite good per my bf but I gave up soda for lent so didn’t try. But it was so good he ordered two. I got apple juice and I’m not sure why I got a smaller cup, that’s always a pet peeve of mine, different size cups for juice vs soda or tea. Anyways I would definitely come back for Tex mex night or something else. Menu was extensive and a lot of things (salad, sandwich, pasta) looked good. Once again MUST DROP A STAR IF YOU’RE CASH ONLY IN 2025.

I’ve ordered delivery from here quite frequently and it’s normally good, but I ordered a medium rare salmon today and got something that was ice cold and mealy in the center, something like 80% raw past the surface. I’m guessing they might have cooked the filet straight from the fridge??? Either way it’s not medium rare.
Jeff T — Google review
Cute restaurant, decent food, but the service at brunch on a Sunday felt chaotic. It took a while for the wait staff to take our order. While taking our order, the server seemed inattentive. I recall a moment where he was simultaneously pouring coffee with one hand while handing something to the table next to us. Efficient perhaps, but left us feeling like our server was in a hurry. Then, the table next to us that was seated after us got their food before us. I enjoyed my meal, scrambled eggs with salmon. I appreciate that the egg dishes come with both salad and fries, both of which were tasty. Overall it was okay.

We thought having a French breakfast would be the best way to start our day, little did I know, the special was chilaquiles! And I adore them so I ordered some and they were delicious. The coffee was great and the French toast was also fantastic. Great service and lovely atmosphere with good music.

Good Enough to Eat has a cozy, classic feel and the staff was friendly and attentive, which I appreciated. The menu has a lot of options, and the portions were generous. That said, the food itself was just okay—nothing bad, but nothing that really stood out either. It’s a fine spot if you’re in the neighborhood and want something casual, but I wouldn’t say it’s a destination meal. Overall, an average experience.

Came here for breakfast with a friend after running a race in Central Park. I wish I could say we had a great experience but the service from the waiter we had ruined it for us. It was as if he didn’t even want to wait on our table. It took a while to get his attention to even place our orders. And when the food came, not ONCE did he come by and ask how everything was and if we needed anything. Yet he kept waiting on the other two tables beside us and took the table next to us’ order way sooner than he had with us. We had to ask who I believe was the hostess, for condiments and the check. Our waiter didn’t even make eye contact with us, which I thought was very rude (and that’s coming from someone who used to be a waitress). As for the food, my friend and I ordered the Astoria Omelette and Provençal Omelette which were good - nothing crazy. I don’t know if I’d come back here for the sole purpose of the terrible service.

I found this place online because I was looking for someplace to eat near the museum of natural history. This is a neighborhood place. Friendly staff, cute decor. The waffles and pancakes were both delicious. The bacon was thick cut and filling. The strawberry butter and real maple syrup are a nice touch. We will be back. We didn't order dessert, but they looked amazing.

Go here to eat with my uncle. Like the food here and the portions. My uncle likes this place. Today I ordered the BLT and it was good. My waitress was so nice and sweet. I'm not sure if she was new but I just loved her energy. I asked for a few different things and she didn't seem to get annoyed like some others at other restaurants. She always has a smile . It made us feel relaxed. We are and we talked a lot . She was very attentive and patient with us. My lunch was so much I took some of it home. Thank you sweet lady. We def walked out of there full . Vinegar Hill House offers a cozy and inviting atmosphere, serving seasonal New American cuisine in a salvaged-decor setting with a charming garden. The restaurant's rustic interior features wooden tables, vintage wallpaper, and unique decor collected from travels and flea markets. Guests can enjoy the warmth of the wood-burning oven in the open kitchen and relax in the snug downstairs den.
Finally made it here after wanting to go for years. A bit out of the way but worth the effort. I had brunch so can't judge all of the food but the food we had was far above the standard brunch fare in nyc. Delicious French omelet with a lovely side of crunchy greens. Good bacon and roast potatoes as add ons. The pancake is fluffy and not too sweet. Good drinks. Excellent service. Tables are small and a bit tight but the food was so good you'll just have to be careful not to knock things over (I knocked over my coffee cup but the staff was so cool and took care of it immediately). Now I need to try dinner

Held a corporate dinner event in the carriage house and it was amazing. The venue is perfect for a private, upscale feel. The staff was incredible. They helped customize the menu, print additional documents and let us overstay our welcome at the end of the night. All the food was great, would say the pasta could be better seasoned, but I loved the salad, chicken and chocolate cake. I can't recommend the venue enough for a corporate event!

For the last few years, Vinegar Hill House has been our go-to when we have something to celebrate or just want a delicious night out in a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. So when we were deciding where to have an intimate dinner as our wedding reception in June 2025, this was our first choice, and SO GLAD we did! We booked the back garden and everything was just perfect, including the attention to dietary restrictions. Shout out to Karl, the events manager, who was amazing throughout.

We had the beets, focaccia, rigatoni, and halibut, with the panna cotta for dessert. The beets were outstanding, with the piquant sauce complementing the earthy sweetness of the beets. The rigatoni was also solid. The halibut itself was under-seasoned, but the accompaniments were flavorful. It felt like the dish needed a touch more acid and salt, but I still enjoyed it. The panna cotta was solid--it is not a sweet dessert, but not all desserts need to be. However, the peaches were not the best (perhaps too late in the season or frozen?) and the lemon verbena was too perfume-y. Waiter was excellent, decor was nice, but it was quite loud.
Mark M — Google review
Phenomenal food, service, ambience, and more. The food didn’t try too hard. Seasonal ingredients with balanced flavors. Chicken liver mouse and beets were one of the best I’ve ever had. I LOVE that they didn’t hide any ingredients in drenched sauce but rather just showcased it with accompaniments. Besides the food, their wine list is actually one of the best in the region. No overpriced, overhyped names but rather unique smaller producers. Such a unique and eclectic mix of wine that again doesn’t try too hard to be complex. The server was so nice and welcomed my wife and I right away. I’m only upset this is the first time I’ve been here after living in Brooklyn for 4 years.

What an absolutely fantastic experience at Vinegar Hill House! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was cozy and welcoming. A huge shout-out to the manager, Gikas, who was incredibly kind and made sure everything was perfect throughout our meal. We also had some amazing drinks thanks to Bartender Crosby, who is a true professional and mixes a fantastic cocktail. Now, the food—wow! We started with the Red Kuri Squash with stracciatella, hot cherry pepper, and boquerones. It was phenomenal; so creamy and flavorful, with just the right amount of kick from the pepper. It was perfectly paired with a Hungarian white wine recommended by the staff. For the main, I had the pork chop. You can tell it's thoughtfully sourced. It was cooked to absolute perfection and served with jalapeño cheddar grits that were the ultimate comfort food pairing. I highly recommend getting the Hungarian white wine pairing they suggest (I believe it's from the Valley of Beautiful Women). It complemented both dishes beautifully. This was a 10/10 meal. We will absolutely be back!

Wouldn’t recommend the omelette or the egg sandwich but the sourdough pancake and the sausages on the side menu are worth the hype and totally worth the trip! 🤤 Likely the best pancakes in the city! Better than the pancakes at Golden HoF - which used to be our favorite before we discovered this place
Na T — Google review
I booked here for an anniversary dinner recently and had a terrible experience, which I feel bad even saying because everyone talks so highly of this place. While the food was very delicious, though keep in mind they are small portions, the service was atrocious. We made a reservation a week in advance for our anniversary and yet we were shoved into an afterthought table squished between others that should be saved for walk-ins. (A couple who walked in without a res shortly after us was given a cushy four top...was gently fuming over that lol). We struggled to flag service attention from anyone, which progressed through the night to almost totally ignoring us. This persisted from both server and hostess who both spent time chatting with friends at the bar. It's a tiny space so I'm not sure how our attempts were ignored so fully but the tables next to us also struggled. After many attempts we finally got the dessert menu, and then were promptly forgotten about, and 20 minutes later without having ordered dessert we finally flagged the check down. It takes a lot for me to review service poorly, and we still tipped 20%, but for such a well-recommended restaurant I was surprised by how poor the service was, especially on a Saturday night. Would only return for a casual lunch, if that.

Really nice & cozy brunch spot. Was surprised by how many latte flavors they had. I tried both the rose cardamom & honey lavender lattes & they were great. Their eggplant shakshouka was delightful as well. It's a small place but it's also really cozy. Spent 4 hours there eating & catching up with old friends. Coming back for sure!!

Been to Golda many times for breakfast/lunch and finally getting around to review it after another visit today. I will say the chicken sausage egg sandwich is amazing. This is actually my fourth time coming to this brunch spot, and I feel so happy because they treat us the way we should be treated. I feel safe, just like in all of New York, since I’m Latino and my spouse is American. We come here to eat, and we’re respected and feel at home. The food is delicious, the service is absolutely amazing, and the coffee is divine. The coffee pitchers, the plates, that Mediterranean touch is spectacular, and I think there’s a bit of a Russian influence, but I’m not sure if I’m right. I love it. The people are very kind, the tables are great, everything is clean and delicious, and the flavors are incredible. I highly recommend it. Cute little cafe/coffee spot. While the decor inside is really nice, I do feel like they could refresh it a bit, and maybe not cram as many tables and barstools. My avocado toast with squash and chili crisp was so good. The breakfast plate was good, but the potatoes were a bit over spiced. The pancakes don’t have much visual appeal and were too sweet already pre drenched in syrup

The immersive dining experience is enhanced by art, sophisticated architectural design, and Caribbean-inspired cuisine.
Highly recommend this restaurant! The staff were attentive, professional and knowledgeable about the menu. Everything our waiter recommended was delicious! The decor is very cool - looks like a lot of thought was put into the design, and color choices. The owners came to our table to greet us. Will definitely be going back within the next month or so. Average spent = $80 each.

The atmosphere was amazing and comfortable. I celebrated my birthday here with my partner, and we weren’t disappointed. Some tables were candlelit, and a few even had swing seats, which was such a fun touch. While the food is on the pricier side, the portions are generous and the quality is outstanding. I highly recommend the oxtail, it was incredibly tender, and the gravy was unforgettable.

Let me tell you about the Biang Biang Rasta Noodles with oxtail add-on and the sorrel kokorita—aka the signature house margarita (neigh no more). I came in hungry and left spiritually changed. First off, the noodles. Thick, chewy, spicy, and dramatic—like the lead in a Caribbean soap opera. I’ll admit, my Caribbean spice tolerance expired sometime around 2012, so I was sweating like I owed the chef money. But the flavor? Worth every bead of forehead dew. The mushrooms and peppers were in perfect harmony—no one trying to upstage the other. And the oxtail? Generous, tender, seasoned like it had been blessed by someone’s auntie with a heavy hand and a good heart. Now the sorrel kokorita. Listen. If you grew up with sorrel at Christmas, you already know it’s the Beyoncé of beverages—sweet, bold, and secretly powerful. Add tequila and suddenly it’s Destiny’s Child but everyone’s Beyoncé. I had one. Then another. Then I started making life decisions I wasn’t qualified for. It’s that good. The staff? Friendly, knowledgeable, and didn’t judge me when I asked if I could legally marry the kokorita. If you haven’t been to Kokomo yet, do yourself a favor and go. And if you have been—go again. Your mouth deserves a second date.

I initially found out about this restaurant because I follow the beautiful owner. Finally got an opportunity to take my husband there for his birthday. The decor and ambiance is VERY beautiful. Swinging chairs, jungle theme, etc. They have a decent menu for every palate. I just found it strange that I couldn’t get veggies as a side. Overall the menu seems to be a fusion of Asian and Jamaican flavors and they’re not afraid to use spice. One item that shocked me was a $90 snapper! I saw one person order it and it was HUGE. Anyhow. The night was going great until the waiter ruined things. Sort of ignored us in favor of larger parties. The bus boy who was new, according the waiter, didn’t speak good English and therefore took our glasses and drinks off the table before we were done and didn’t ask. When we complained, he then made fun of said busboy loudly to the other employees. I thought that was so mean spirited. They automatically added the tip so I asked for change of course. They told me I had to wait to get change because they ran out. Didn’t like that but overall, I would return but just have a different waiter!

Food was fantastic! Drinks amazing... The service could have been a little better, more attentive and the food took a longer that expected to come out especially the bread pudding. They didn't explain it was made to order and would therefore take a while. There were nats flying around which was annoying but all in all it was good. I'd go again.

Went to Kokomo to celebrate an engagement, and everything was on point—the food, the vibe, the atmosphere. But what really stood out was the service. Anaya was incredible, so accommodating and attentive. She made our large party feel completely taken care of. No matter how many requests we had, she handled them with a smile and such grace. Truly next-level service that made the night unforgettable.

I celebrated my boyfriend’s 30th birthday surprise at Kokomo in the Champagne Room downstairs, and it was an unforgettable experience. Everything exceeded expectations from the delicious food and perfectly crafted drinks to the attentive service. Hosting and serving 30 people is no easy task, but the staff handled it seamlessly, making the entire night feel effortless and special. The standout dishes for me were the Rasta Pasta Flatbread and the Oxtail Flatbread, absolute MUST tries! Every single guest left raving about the food, the vibe, and the service. A huge thank you to Kev, Rocquel, Aniyah, Phere and Antonio for going above and beyond to make the night so memorable. We even had to come back for brunch and it was twice as good!

My friend and I ordered a few dishes and shared plates. First of all everything sounded good. Secondly, it tasted better than it sounded. The drinks were great, the vibe was vibing. And this is a place I would come to again and again. The seafood mac and cheese 🤌🏾

Ursula Brooklyn is a relaxed restaurant and bar located in Crown Heights, paying homage to owner Eric See's Albuquerque roots by serving New Mexican-inspired cuisine. The spot is known for its highly-coveted New Mexican-style breakfast burritos, made with fresh flour tortillas stuffed with options like hash browns, scrambled eggs, chorizo, or vegan pinto beans and smothered in red or green chile sauce.
Been trying to get here for brunch but it’s always packed and I’m not sure if they take resi’s. It’s local to the crib so we rolled the dice and stopped by. Today was our lucky day and instead of brunch we landed on the dinner menu around 6 (I think they close for an hour between 5-6 for family meal). The food, the ambiance and the service were great and the staff love our little guy, everyone came by to our table to say hi I think because of him! 🥰 the place is vibes on vibes!! Go here the food was unique, carefully prepared and delicious. We’ll be back!!

Really solid burritos. They’re balanced in flavor and huge! Also the corn salad was super nice alongside everything. We didn’t have to wait long but we also got there sorta early.
Leandra E — Google review
We heard great things about Ursula so we gave it a try. The main downfall was the wait and it took a bit to get our food. However, the breakfast burritos were very delicious and flavorful! I got the bacon and my husband got the other meat option. We also ordered the horchata tea but it was pretty watered down, we weren’t a fan. If you’re in the area and have time definitely order a breakfast burrito!

Came a long way for the Bacon breakfast burrito. Was just average. Really there was only a tiny piece of bacon in it, and it was falling apart and open at each end. Nice people and a cool spot tho. ******Update: I knowwwwww! I loved talking to with yall and I liked the place, that’s why I was bummed the burrito wasn’t that great! 😢. Ps- I said it was good, because I was being nice. But, it really was very average if I’m being honest. To be fair, I’m from southern CA and we have some the best breakfast burritos in the world, imo. I did appreciate the spice in it. I’ll have to come back for a steak dinner!

Love the decor and the breakfast burritos were large, filling, and delicious. House hot sauce was also unique. Ordered the Carne Adovada (Red Chile Pork) Burrito

The burritos are so tasty, spicy and filling! The service is great and the patio is nice. I wish there were fans outside for the heat but it’s doable in the shade/cooler weather.

Ok this place is freaking amazing! The hype is real. The James Beard is real. The burritos are so affordable and delicious!! I had a michelada with sparkling water and omg the mix was magical! But what made it even better was the service. The manager was so welcoming and nice. The guy at the front helped me with my baby too. Love coming here. Wish I got the corn chowder

Nestled within the vibrant Essex Street Market, Shopsins is a charmingly compact eatery that boasts an astonishingly diverse menu of diner classics. This beloved spot is renowned for its pancake offerings, featuring over 30 unique varieties and an array of pancake sandwiches that will delight any breakfast enthusiast. The culinary adventure doesn't stop there; you can also indulge in a plethora of egg dishes, bread-pudding French toast, and even matzoh brei with eight different flavors to choose from.
Great food and amazing service. We tried a variety of dishes and they were all delicious. It’s a bit of a wait on weekends so be prepared to wait. We went on Sunday around 12pm and waited about 45mins for a table of 4. I would recommend going with 2 people only. But the servers were amazing and the all the food was worth the wait.

Food is pretty good, diner styled, a bit small to fit in, but still great food. Coffee is self service and the pancakes are my recommendation. I highly recommend it. It might take a while to get some seats because it's tightly packed. Worth it.

Amazing service. Got the Bubba, cornbread was fluffy and sweet and the shrimp was perfectly fried. The eggs were perfectly soft scrambled. The star of the service was the service though, the waitress was an absolute sweetheart and had great energy.

Breakfast by Salt’s Cure is a must-visit breakfast destination that originated in Los Angeles and has made its mark in New York City with locations including one in Carroll Gardens. The experience here is straightforward: join the line, place your order at the counter, and find a cozy spot to enjoy your meal. Their signature Oatmeal Griddle Cakes are a standout item—served without syrup for an authentic taste—and come in delightful variations like The OG, Banana Nut, and Chocolate Chip.
Really enjoyed my banana walnut griddles the other day! A unique twist on the classic diner pancake stack. Just the right amount of sweetness and a nice soft texture. For sure coming back.
Benjamin Z — Google review
I had breakfast here this morning with a friend visiting from out of town. For the most part the food was tasty and satisfying; a good American breakfast. I did find the griddle cakes to be undercooked and I wondered if they were raw. I’m sure it isn’t always like that, just our batch. The scrambled eggs were on the runny side too. There wasn’t anyone in there so you wonder what the rush with cooking food was about. I would go back, I just hope for more detail and attention on the cook times as they only make five items in total on the menu.
Katrina N — Google review
Definitely one of the best pancakes that I’ve had but I haven’t had many. The actual dish was delicious but very heavy, you can share one order between two people. The sides were okay, the eggs were a bit under seasoned. When we got there, the line was about 4 parties deep so we only had to wait about 10 minutes. Happy I stopped by but not sure if I’d come back again.

excellent over easy eggs. very very good banana walnut pancakes. accompanied with a nice cup of coffee. easily four stars plus.

This place has some of the best griddle pancakes in the city. If you’ve never had an oatmeal griddle pancake before — they’re made with oats, extra fluffy and filling, with soft centers and perfectly crispy edges. The cinnamon butter on top is the real game-changer, adding just the right amount of sweetness and warmth. Another thing I like is that you pay up front, so there’s no long wait for the check at the end. It keeps the line moving quickly especially during weekends. + they are planning to open up backyard space
Jiwon P — Google review
Just basic. Nothing special, pancakes are crispy edges and then gooey. The potatoes and crispy chicken cutlet was good but not in a I need to have this again type of way. Just meh overall.
Faith-Ashley D — Google review
The OG pancakes were to die for, and the blueberry was really good too. We also had the hash brown (delish, comes with the perfect amount of ketchup), the wet scrambled eggs that were perfect, and the savory pork sausage! Can’t wait to go back tbh
Lauren M — Google review
Oatmeal griddle cakes are pretty tasty but not memorable. Fried chicken sandwich is decent. “Soft” Scrambled eggs are BAD. For a place that makes basically 6 breakfast dishes there’s no reason for this. It genuinely seemed like they had scrambled eggs that they pre cooked, and then when I ordered they tossed them in with one new egg, so they had the appearance of being soft, but was mostly made up of overcooked eggs.

Brunch restaurant
Located in the trendy TriBeCa neighborhood, Locanda Verde is a lively and rustic Italian eatery that has been a hot spot since its opening in 2009. The restaurant, nestled into the ground floor of the Greenwich Hotel, offers a charming atmosphere with a bucolic courtyard.
This restaurant has a great vibe and an open kitchen which creates a really cool vibe. We started with the Steak Tartare and the Insalata D’Andrea, and they were both perfect. The steak tartare was truly amazing. I loved the egg on it. However, I feel like bacon is not necessary. For the main courses, we had the Scallops and the Duck Arrosto. The scallops were unbeatably good. They match perfectly with the lentils. It is such a good dish and definitely our favorite; the duck was good, but I think the meat could have been more tender. I also tried the Cappelletti Fizz cocktail, and it was really well-balanced. I really liked it, and I also tried the Vesper In Coat Tails. It was amazing but very strong. My partner loved it! Finally, for dessert, we ordered the Lemon Panna Cotta and it was very tasty. The service was very good, the staff were always very attentive 🙏🏻 It’s a great place with really nice food. I wouldn’t use it for a first date tho, because I feel like it can be very loud, so it’s hard to talk.
Alison V — Google review
The venue is gorgeous with dark wood paneling throughout and floor to ceiling windows which gives it a rustic yet modern ambience. Service was good and professional but not too detail oriented nor anticipatory. My group and I initially sat inside but it was the table closest to the kitchen opening so we decided to move to the patio to have a quieter table and better setting. Unfortunately, the rustic Italian dishes seemed quite good in written form but in real time taste was not really great nor special. The Roasted chicken reminded me of a vamped up version of Costco chicken. Which to say the least is tasty but not worth this price tag. Cavatelli was cooked Al Dente but the sauce Was just okay and lacked substance. My friend had been 2 years ago and this venue was always a gem. Perhaps we just had an off night. Overall, mediocre and not worth this price.
Jean D — Google review
This place is a gem, a true delight for any day, whether it’s sunny, rainy, or anything in between. I love the warm atmosphere and the charm of the restaurant. The service is quick, and the food is consistently delicious. I highly recommend everything on the menu: pasta, fish, steak, and all the starters are our favourites. Especially the beef tartare is absolutely outstanding!
Julia S — Google review
Amazing service the Maitre d’ Caprice is a gem! She got me & my friend seated right away in the back dining room. They lit the fireplace which I loved. If you’re looking for a laid back upscale spot this is the place to go. Judith was my waitress she was extremely helpful. Also- please don’t get rid of the Paloma with the cinnamon rim until summers over! It was so good!
Taylor B — Google review
Had a pretty bland dinner here. Came here right when they opened Saturday with reservations and sat us probably in the worst seat by the entrance and it wasnt even full basically empty. Food was just okay. Steak tar tar was probably the best dish of the night but they put an odd fried quail egg on top instead of egg yolk and a super thin slice of bacon is basically unneeded. Pasta was very underwhelming and lamb chops were good. They dont even have complementary bread? Cocktails are decent tho, but dinner was mediocre

Weird experience tonight and it pains me to write this. I’m a huge fan of Locanda Verde, especially the Tribeca location. Made a reservation for my wife’s birthday about two weeks in advance and clearly listed it was my wife’s birthday. They were about 15 mins late seating, not a big deal at all, we had a drink at the bar. But then they proceeded to lead us into the back room with absolutely no music, no vibe and no energy. Major mood killer! Totally different experience than main room. I felt like Sloth being chained in the dungeon. The food was excellent. We ordered the Cesar salad to start (10 out of 10) and then the lamb meatball sliders (also 10 out of 10) and steak tartar (8.5 out of 10.) Next course was the ravioli. It was excellent but not hot (not cold either but it def was sitting for a while before they brought out to us overall 8.5 out of 10.) We split the half garlic chicken as our main (9 out of 10) and crispy potato’s (5 out of 10) they were inedible, way too salty. We complained and they sent us new ones albeit it took 15 mins to bring out. We also ordered Brussel sprouts (11 out of 10) they are to die for. For dessert we ordered the tiramisu (10 out of 10) and they brought out a candle for my wife’s birthday. Service was excellent no complaints there. Solid water game although they didn’t really come over and ask us about reordering cocktails so we only had two drinks the whole night but overall, I have to say it was a real miss with putting us in the back room. Really killed the vibe for us.

It was a divine brunch in every way ! The service was exceptional and attentive. The Caesar salad was delicious and unlike any I have had before. The Pappardelle was a culinary masterpiece, truly and the tiramisu was beautifully designed. It was pure ambrosia, except for the whole coffee beans embedded inside. I could have done without those. Thank you for making my Sunday an unforgettable one. It goes without saying, that inside and out, Locanda Verde is an extraordinary restaurant !

Maialino is a classic Roman-Italian restaurant located in the Gramercy Park Hotel, offering a casual yet elegant dining experience. The menu boasts delicious pancakes with ricotta that are described as satisfyingly big, thick, and perfectly round with a tantalizing crisp edge. The restaurant reimagines old-fashioned Roman trattoria in modern New York City and uses local produce to create traditional Italian dishes.
They say first impressions last! Well, my first wasn’t as good as my second. I had a much better experience second time around. The seating was good. I made reservations so there was no wait time. Servers were polite and offered great service. Food was great! The wine and champagne suggestions were off the rock! I will be back!

A comfortable place with nice view of the Garmercy Park. Perfect for people watching. Overpriced food and lame service. Went for brunch over the weekend and ordered a bunch of plates. The chef's basket was great. All the other were not impressive. The classic pasta Tonnarelli Cacio e Pepe was too salty and the pasta overcooked. The brussel sprouts were mostly burned. Our server was slow and indifferent: no smile and never asked once how's everything. When we asked for a box for the leftover she even packed the bones. No wonder this is a no tipping restaurant because I really didn't feel like tipping LOL.

Went for lunch but it was awesome. I had prosciutto and mozzarella for antipasto and the ham was so tender and tasteful, so as the mozzerella. The pasta was great too. There were great selection of wine and it said "BAROLO bar" at the bar at the entrance which I would definitely like to try next time. You will need reservation to get a table.

Top tier service, sophisticated and warm atmosphere. The girls and I sat at the bar and had a few drinks. The bartender and all of the wait staff were friendly, polite and professional. One of the best espresso Martinis I’ve ever had. Speaks volumes because I’ve had quite the fair share of espresso martinis in NYC. The bartender was a blond guy with shaggy hair and I wanted to personally recognize him! He made our party happy! I can’t wait to try their renowned Italian food next time!

I can't say enough good things about Maialino. First, the staff is top notch from the moment you walk through the door, to your server and wine service--impeccable. Food allergies? No problem and always attentive to my needs. As for the food, as an admitted carnivor that eats super low carb, let's just say that I was over the moon with their selection, quality products and perfect execution. I've had nearly all of their main courses, but to this day, always look forward to the roasted pig. Just wow! Another amazing meal at Maialino.

One liner review - hype over Cacio e Pepe was overrated. We heard so many good things about this place especially about Cacio e Pepe (literally cheese and pepper) and Amatriciana pastas. We ordered both and while I enjoyed amatriciana I was quite disappointed in cacio e pepe. It reminded me of a mac n cheese in pasta. Some reviews say cacio e pepe pasta was too salty but the saltiness was just about right, but it was rather a bit bland. Not sure if it needed more talk but it was just ok. I enjoyed the texture of Amatriciana pasta more. Their quanciale in this pasta was the best I have tasted ever, very rich in flavor and both crisp/fatty at the same time. Service wasn’t particularly friendly but practical and professional. They don’t get tips so they don’t have to be friendly. Tip: Last-minute booking is pretty doable. I called the day before my intended visit during peak vacation period and they were able to squeeze me a spot at 5:30 PM. Call them and see if they can make you a seating. I took out one star because I expected a lot more in Cacio e Pepe pasta.

This 5/5 is specifically for the awesome burger we had on our first visit, which happened to be at lunch time. This burger was one of the juiciest, most flavorful burgers I've had in a very long time. The beef patty on its own was awesome! But I certainly couldn't complain about the super thick slice of bleu cheese and the bacon they put on top. That same meal, we also got a side of potatoes (they were not on the menu and were a special request that our fantastic waiter was great about) and dessert. The potatoes were fantastic - crunchy on the outside and with enough seasoning that they required no sauce or additional sauce. For dessert, we did the Tiramisu and two scoops of Gelato - one of chocolate and one of cherry. The Tiramisu was very light and just the right amount of sweet - not the overly sweet that I've found in most others. The chocolate Gelato tastes dark and rich, while the cherry was a bit Tart. Yum! We visited the next day for breakfast. Everything was absolutely delicious, but not quite as life changing as lunch. Although I would strongly encourage getting bacon because it was the thickest cut of bacon I've ever seen. So good!

IHOP is a well-established chain known for its diverse selection of pancakes and classic American breakfast and diner dishes. While the atmosphere may not be particularly noteworthy, it remains a popular choice for countless Americans starting their day. The restaurant offers an extensive range of pancakes and syrups, as well as hearty brunch options and variations of traditional breakfasts like the lumberjack breakfast. Visitors often find themselves impressed by the authentic pancake experience, complete with butter and maple syrup.
The pancakes were made to perfection. I tried all the sauces available on the table( 4 in total) with my chocolate chip pancakes & they all tasted amazing. The scrambled eggs were great, sausages were a little bit over cooked but still tasted lovely. The hash browns were real potatoes & not greasy like all the other ones I have had on this trip. The staff were friendly enough & gave advice as I was totally overwhelmed by the extensive range on the menu. I will definitely come here again & if you love pancake, you should too.

Not sure what to say. We wait a little longer it looks like they didn't know who was suppose to take care of our table. Then food came . I just didn’t finish my eggs .. it wasn’t good. I I really like IHOP and have tried it not only in the US but also in Saudi Arabia, Dubai, Bahrain, and Kuwait. In the States, I have enjoyed it in Oklahoma. Up until now, I have absolutely loved all my experiences at IHOP. However, today was different. The food was bland, and the service was poor. People who arrived after us received their drinks before we did. Our order came out incomplete and bland; the pancakes were neither fluffy nor tasty. Additionally, it took a very long time to get our drinks refilled, and the coffee was cold! I will definitely not be returning to this IHOP.

November 132024 ; the food was served good ; tasted good and was done exactly how asked . The waiter had beautiful energy . The experience was pleasant. The second time I came which is four months later the service was quick the eggs was better but the atmosphere and the pancakes was off . To me the prices overall don’t reflect a cheap breakfast when we are paying for the same thing in the corner store . So it’s important that the coffee is good not just available which seems like the real struggle for I hops not the food or service but the endless coffee that’s just doesn’t sit right in the stomach . Would I come back yes to see if there has been any improvement because who doesn’t like affordable good pancakes . However both times the establishment was clean and nice sounding music .

For the pancakes I tried the new coffee cake pancakes and they were soooooo freeeeeaking goooood. I know other ihops lowkey skimp on the toppings with their flavored pancakes but here they went IN!!!! So many toppings I was in heaven.

I ordered delivery through Postmates, and my husband other ordered from Grubhub. Unfortunately, it was the worst experience I've ever had. My order included four Mexican Tres Leches pancakes, but not only was one pancake missing, but only the top pancake was actually Tres Leches while the bottom two were buttermilk pancakes. This is INCREDIBLY misleading, especially considering that customers are charged for full Mexican Tres Leches pancakes. My husband’s order from Grubhub included a Country Steak dinner, which was missing a side of two buttermilk pancakes. Frustrated, I called the store and was met with a rude attitude from the employee John. He sounded annoyed and too busy to help, merely suggesting that I contact the apps regarding the issues. I reported the missing items through the apps, but today I received a phone call from the general manager Michelle stating that the entire Grubhub order was canceled when I had only reported the missing pancakes. The caller was not only rude but accused me of canceling the order and insisted I should handle things with Grubhub since it was "my account." Despite my attempts to explain that I never canceled anything, her rudeness and her consistently accusing me forced me to disconnect the call. My husband decided to call back, only to receive the same rude treatment from Michelle and John, who even hung up on him during his second call. Michelle was very rude stating she was already speaking to Grubhub. I then reached out to Grubhub for clarification, and they confirmed that only missing items were reported and that the delivery driver had canceled the order because another driver picked up the order before him. Grubhub then contacted the store, and the store indicated they would call to apologize, but that call never came. This has been a disappointing experience, and I am sad to say that this will be my last visit to this location, especially since IHOP is my favorite restaurant. If customer service does not respond accordingly (waiting for a response), I won't be ordering from IHOP ever again. It's disheartening to see how poorly customers are treated. Very mid location. I’ve been to IHOP in Oklahoma and in Las Vegas and I had a good experience both times. But this time the pancakes tasted bland underneath the ton of cinnamon sauce (I forgot how sweet it is). They were also lukewarm… However the orange juice, while not being freshly pressed (it’s ihop after all) is good and it’s so hard to find good tasting ones that it’s worth mentioning. The glass is also quite big so the price is fair. About service, when I entered the restaurant I was greeted with a « Do you need something? » and it felt like I was disturbing the guy like… I’m here to eat isn’t it obvious 😭? Thankfully my server was lovely. She warned me that it would take a while to get the food and I appreciated that as I didn’t get worried by the waiting time. I came at around 9am and the restaurant was not even halfway full, there were many people eating solo like me and it was nice to eat in peace. I’ll likely comeback because it’s conveniently located and it’s cheaper than a lot of brunch places but I’ll keep my expectations lower.

This is a great IHOP location, much better than others I’ve eaten at across the country. We had the breakfast egg chicken tacos, the breakfast burrito with sausage, fries, hash-browns and the chicken biscuit sandwich, & of course a side of pancakes. Everything tasted delicious. Only complaint was the biscuit fell apart immediately, tasted great but too crumbly to pick up even once. But again the flavor was good. Also, the coffee wasn’t that good but drinkable; it’s the same with every other IHOP. There was plenty of seating & we were seated quickly. The staff were very attentive. If you’re craving pancakes, or a consistent diner experience, I would recommend this location, and it’s open 24/7

Nestled in the heart of Greenpoint, the Three Decker Diner has been a beloved fixture since 1945, exuding a cozy charm that feels both nostalgic and welcoming. This diner boasts an extensive menu filled with classic comfort food options like hearty omelets, juicy burgers, and delicious paninis. The atmosphere is delightfully worn-in, featuring scuffed floors and vintage water glasses that add to its character.
Homey vibe with lots of breakfast and lunch options. Really enjoyed my grilled chicken caesar wrap! The curly fries were crispy and hit the spot, too.

I went to Three Decker Diner yesterday with my older sister. We both enjoyed our lunches (look at the images)! My only criticism is the customer service. Specifically with a male waiter with glasses. He wasn’t the friendliness and urged us to sit near the bathroom. Keep in mind, there were multiple tables opened. As for our second waiter, she was more attentive.

Had an amazing time at Three Deck Dinner. The vibe is super chill, great spot to relax and enjoy some seriously good food. The chicken sandwich was unreal and the mozzarella sticks? Best I’ve ever had. Everything was packed with flavour and cooked perfectly. Definitely coming back for more!

I love an old fashioned diner and being able to get something savory with a side of sweet is one of my favorite things. We were able to get seated right away on a Saturday which was so nice (although after us a few people had to wait) but the service was good and the food was standard with great prices. If I’m in the area again I would definitely go back!

I really enjoyed how I was welcomed as I enter the diner. I also wasn't sure about the wine and was allowed to sample two kinds. Jerry is very pleasant, patient and accommodating. He made sure everything was up to par. The food is delicious! Kudos to the chef. You can order anything on the menu at anytime of the day. I will be returning to try something new.

Highlight is the outdoor seating & they’re open 24-hours! Great affordable diner food in the heart of NYC, quick walk from Prospect Park & not far from trains. Staff were attentive & the food was great. Those pancakes were HUGE, giving Big New York energy! There are booths inside and they have a pretty robust menu.

Stopped in for lunch while in town visiting family. I had a delicious Cuban sandwich with fries. And my husband loved the pulled pork. Our son and my brother enjoyed breakfast options that also looked delicious. Very happy with portion sizes and the food was great. We were happy with all the choices available on the large menu. We had prompt, polite service and it was a great time.

The absolute best diner I’ve been to in New York! I love to come here late night after a party but it’s also great in the daytime for breakfast lunch or dinner! It’s such a classic old school vibe with a great ambiance for dining indoors or on the patio. The portions are massive and it’s a great value for your money. I usually get a sandwich but last time I had this bbq chicken salad which was delicious. Such a solid spot with great service

Rule of Thirds is a Japanese restaurant located on Banker St. in Williamsburg, opened by former Okonomi chefs. The cozy setting with tall ceilings makes it perfect for group gatherings and special occasions. The weekend brunch menu features creative Japanese comfort fare, including hot-honey-yuzu salad and souffle pancakes.
One of my favourite restaurants in the area! Rule of thirds consistently has a great menu, friendly service, in a beautiful setting! Last time I was here, got the corn salad and mazemen (faves), karaage and tuna tartare, as well as the hamachi collar and pork katsu. Highly recommend everything! And if you’re feeling like drinking, the house special sake and cocktails are great.

Finally got a chance to visit Rule of Thirds tonight. All the staff were so friendly, and my server Julio was incredible! Everything was delicious and really reminded me of the amazing food I had in Japan. My favorites were the chutoro sashimi, wagyu sukiyaki, and the white sesame soft serve. We spent about $110, and it was absolutely worth it. Can't wait to go back soon!
Sara L — Google review
Came here on a Sunday at 12:30 with a reservation for a party of two. We were able to get a great pair of seats that looked into the kitchen which was a lot of fun. Our orders were promptly taken by the wait staff and they were helpful with any questions we had about the menu. The karaage was crispy and was drizzled with an awesome tartar sauce. Great appetizer! I got the chicken katsu sando which was large, crispy, and was complemented by the soft Japanese milk bread. The mustard, mayo, and radish was a fantastic addition to this sandwich. We were too full to order the enormous soufflé pancake, so we went with the sesame soft serve which was a great dessert to top off a very enjoyable meal with. Definitely recommend trying this place if you’re in the area!

We got married at Rule of Thirds a couple of years ago, so it’s become our anniversary tradition to return. This year was extra special as it was our first restaurant outing as a family of 3 with our 10-week-old. We booked a 5pm reservation to keep things easy and as always, the team here was warm, welcoming, and so accommodating. We never once felt out of place with a baby in tow. The food was fantastic as always, but it’s really the staff that make this place so memorable for us.

We recently were the floral designers for a weddings here. The event space is really beautiful and deserves a highlight. The venue coordinator was clear and good at communicating to vendors. The staff was respectful and kind and made everything easier. All of the behind the scenes magic you want to hear about when looking for a venue. :)

Vibes were immaculate. Food was extremely yummy. Cocktails were top notch. And the servers were soooo helpful and friendly. The server really helped guide me through the menu and pick the perfect dishes that matched what I was in the mood for. So many unique and fun cocktail options. Would absolutely come back here. Walked in Wednesday at 7pm and there was no wait for a table for 2.

Amazing service and atmosphere. Favorite dish was the chirashi (smoked roe was amazing) The branzino was ok- flavor was unique but thought it wasn't evenly distributed in the dish. The mazamen had great texture and using three types of noodles was innovative, but the sauce lacked the seafood "umph" Tuna and nori were edible but not flavorful. The food here is decent but not amazing. The presentation was really nice as well. Overall thought it was a bit overhyped and overpriced.

The carbonara is a standout dish, featuring rich and creamy sauce with crispy bacon. The Pain Perdu is also highly recommended for its pillowy challah bread. Visitors praise the incredible staff, music, and top-notch breakfast options. Additionally, the restaurant offers good food at great prices, making it a must-visit spot in Brooklyn for both locals and tourists alike.
Such a cute cafe! You can order takeout from a small window, which is really convenient. There are outdoor tables that would be perfect on a sunny day. Cozy and charming spot!

Nice cafe with great Brekky and brunch menu. Coffee is good but cups are a bit small. The tomato soup and cheese toastie is very tasty as is the Avo toast. A few too many people sitting in a single coffee pretending to work on laptops taking up seats. Worth a visit for the food.

More like 3.5/5. Service was mid and everyone who worked there acted like they were too cool to work. Very LES. Food was good but not worth the wait. Coffee was yummy though! If you’re a tourist skip this spot because there’s far better in the East Village.
Constance R — Google review
The food was extremely bland and painfully underwhelming. It’s not worth it to eat at a restaurant if I can go to the groceries and get the same thing. Wait time was long for food that was literally cold and undercooked. It also came with a plain half tomato??? Which I thought was weird and added nothing to the dish, I wondered why they didn’t just chop it up and put it in eggs or smth. I love tomatoes but not that much to receive a large side of it.

Me and my girlfriend’s new favorite spot when we come to NYC. Food was absolutely amazing, coffee was some of the best and the staff was super nice and welcoming. 10/10 recommend every time. We got the breakfast plate with the rosemary hashbrown I think it’s called and we ate the whole plate. It was amazing.

For espresso drinks, Sunday to Sunday is tops, especially when Ralph is at the helm steaming the milk. Look at his swan, rosetta, and stacked tulip! I highly recommend! I’ve been coming here for years. It’s an Orchard Street watering hole.
Steve W — Google review
The food here is good. Slightly overpriced imo, but it is good. I would want to eat it again. However, the service here is horrendous. Among the worst I have experienced. The staff was not rude, but it was as if we were completely invisible and ignored. It took a very long time just to have someone take our order. After sitting and sitting and waiting with only cups of water, we actually had to call someone over to tell them we would like to order. And then the food took what felt like an eternity to arrive. It must have been at least 40 minutes, if not longer than that. (It was so long that we remarked to each other, how we should have just done the hour long wait for the table at the place across the street) No one came to check on how we were. Even getting the check took longer than necessary. But the food is good.

STOWAWAY is a sustainable restaurant in Brooklyn that sources its ingredients from upstate farms. The menu offers wholesome small plates like cornbread fritters, pimento cheese toast, and smoked salmon on house-made hash browns. The staff is highly praised for their friendliness and expertise. The cozy spot in Greenpoint is known for its generous portions and dollar oyster deals. However, some visitors have experienced slow service during peak times.
This is a really great little spot. It’s one of the only restaurants I’ve tried in the city that can give Bubby’s a run for their money for breakfast. Amazing scratch breakfast cooking, delicious biscuits, pancakes, hand formed sausage patties with the perfect amount of sear/char. Eggs cooked perfectly, I got mine over medium. I love that they do the same”McDonald’s” style hash-browns, perfectly hot snd crispy, perfect for mopping up your eggs or gravy. In this day and age, $25 for a breakfast in the city is pretty standard, but this spot is nothing but standard. I’m really glad we found it, we were in the neighborhood and needed a brunch spot close by. It’s pretty small inside and probably fits 30 people max. They have a nice bar with brunch, cocktails, and the food came out quick. I like the nautical theme, they had a cool map on the wall that was just NYC waterways. A nice little touch. Waitstaff friendly and efficient. Will be back for sure.

Service was great, I was surprised to see some of these reviews. Our waiter was super on top of it and food came out quickly, we were seated immediately even on a Sunday at 11:30am. The biscuits were delicious, we got it with the jam and with the mushroom gravy. We also got the chicken and pancake combo. Pancake was not my vibe, much thicker and chewier than I was expecting, and the maple syrup tasted like the kind you get in a plastic bottle at the super market rather than real maple syrup like I was hoping for at a place like this. Everything else was great though!

Come Stow away, come stow away with me! Couldn’t resist the temptation, but on the real, if you ever find yourself needing to break fast and enjoy a little hole in the wall, a rustic ambiance, and very friendly service, Stowaway serves. Tucked away in Greenpoint, Stowaway came up on a top ten list of places to check out and TikTok hasn’t let me down before. If you’re lucky to get either Miles or Sasha, you’ll be in good hands. Of course the food served; started off spitting a blueberry pancake (pizza style); perfect size for three. The cake was made fluffy and the blueberry compote had that right amount of warmth and gooey. We each got one of the biscuit sandwiches and they were definitely a several steps up from any that you would get from Fastfood. A soft biscuit, perfect scrambled/runny eggs and a good southern sausage. I took a step further adding a side of remoulade at Mile’s recommendation; 🔥 choice. Also, stacking my hash brown on my sandwich, 👌🏾. Note, they don’t do reservation but we got there round 11-12pm and they was seating for the three of us, but don’t dally. Anyway, I’ll have to comeback and try some of their specials of day. The shrimp and grits across another table looked pretty good. Either way, this is definitely my type of vibe I want as I break fast, so let me stowaway again on my next visit.

This place is a hidden gem in Greenpoint. They serve big portions, so come hungry! My favorite thing here is the hush puppies, seriously, so good. Lately, it seems like they’re getting more popular. Every time I visit, it’s a bit packed and there’s usually a long wait for the food. But honestly, it’s worth it. Just know going in that you might have to be patient. If you’re okay with waiting, the food won’t disappoint.
Monica P — Google review
It was okay! I loved the decor and the homage to NYC. I ordered the bacon egg and cheese on a biscuit. The biscuit was soft, bacon and eggs were perfectly cooked but it lacked overall flavor and touch of salt. Hashbrown was crispy.

Searched for the best bloody mary in the area on a Saturday and the googles recommended this little gem. The regular bloody was amazing with perfect horseradish spice. Miles the bartender and all other things, along with our other server, were so welcoming. Miles was a death metal music aficionado who was a funny kind person. I never give reviews but this place was amazing. The food was incredible the chef at this place is sooo talented…from the south. We had his homemade sage breakfast sausage and the salmon/hashbrown dish with a jammy chilled egg and the best relish on it. One of the highlights of our trip to Brooklyn.
Steve O — Google review
Everything was 10/10. Service, food, atmosphere. This place is the whole package. You can tell that everything on this table was made in house. Pictured: fried chicken thigh biscuit, side hashbrowns and side mushroom gravy. Whole plate pancake (one of the best pancakes I’ve ever had)

This place has the most amazing breakfast, but we came a little bit too late so we decided to indulge in the oyster happy hour! A bottle of wine coming with a dozen oysters, super fresh! I also got the muscles and fries and the pimento cheese dip, which my friends were fighting over until the very last bite. So many other amazing dishes I can’t wait to go back and try.

Lafayette Grand Café & Bakery is a sprawling, Belle Epoque-style brasserie and bakery located in Manhattan's NoHo neighborhood. It is known for serving classic French fare and cocktails. One of its popular offerings is the viral cream-filled croissant called the Supre, which is only available in person at the bakery on a first-come, first-served basis. The brunch menu also offers delicious options if you prefer not to wait in line for the croissant.
The service and food were both excellent. I enjoyed the rainbow trout with a salad, I also had their penicillin #2 cocktail. Which was well made. The staff was friendly and very courteous. One thing to keep in mind is that you have to order any baked goods from the Patisserie separately

We had a wonderful breakfast at Lafayette Grand Café in New York. The atmosphere was stylish yet relaxed, and there was enough space to sit comfortably. The food and drinks were delicious – everything was fresh, well-prepared, and full of flavor. While the prices are on the higher side, even for New York, the quality and overall experience made it absolutely worth it. A great spot to start the day in the city!

Lafayette Grand Café & Bakery is more than just a restaurant; it’s a beautiful escape to a bustling Parisian grand café right here in New York City. From the moment you step inside, the stunning atmosphere—complete with the tiled floors, warm lighting, and a gorgeous outdoor seating area—transports you. Culinary Highlights The food is, simply put, a delight. I visited for brunch and was thoroughly impressed: • The Bakery: The Boulangerie Basket is a must-order. The pastries are truly world-class, with those iconic, ultra-flaky, swirled croissants being the absolute star. The texture and flavor of the different croissants (like the pistachio and chocolate pictured) are pure perfection and entirely worth the hype. • Brunch Menu: The brunch menu is an expertly executed French bistro dream. Whether you go for something savory like the Croque Madame or the classic Smoked Salmon Benedict, you can tell the ingredients are fresh and the preparation is precise. • Drinks: The drink menu is expansive, offering everything from classic cocktails like the Manhattan and a selection of fresh-pressed Jus Frais to a deep wine list. The draft beer selection is a great touch for a classic French café. Ambiance and Service The vibe is lively and sophisticated, perfect for a celebratory meal, a special date, or a long, leisurely weekend brunch. The outdoor seating (as seen in the video) is an incredible spot to enjoy the buzz of the city while dining. Service was attentive and polished, ensuring a truly five-star experience from start to finish. Lafayette Grand Café & Bakery is a destination restaurant that absolutely lives up to its reputation.

The croissant is a truly unique experience . I highly recommend it! My favorite is the pistachio, but honestly, they’re all incredible. The place is cozy and charming. On weekends, you can’t sit inside to eat your croissant (there’s a standing area available), but during the week they have a reserved café area where you can sit and enjoy it peacefully. So if you can visit on a weekday, I’d definitely suggest doing that! The space is clean, and the atmosphere is very pleasant.
Eveline G — Google review
I was really disappointed with the pistachio cream — it tasted cheap and wasn’t good at all. For a place like La Fayette, I expected better quality, especially with their prices and reputation. I was also surprised that the coffee was made completely by machine instead of using a manual spoon.

Lafayette Grand Cafe and Bakery is a beautiful café with a true Parisian atmosphere. As soon as I stepped in, I was surrounded with a historic lively environment. I especially loved the French croissants with a buttery and flaky crust. The famous Suprême croissant is an amazing, creamy dessert that is not overhyped. The only reason why Lafayette is rated 4 stars is because of the expensive items. Lafayette is a great spot to grab a quick pastry or to sit down for a meal.

Le Coucou is a refined French restaurant located in downtown New York City. The elegant setting features baroque grandeur with plush banquettes, tall ceilings, and a state-of-the-art open kitchen. The menu offers elevated examples of traditional French cuisine bourgeoise, including dishes like lobster poured with bubbling sauce, veal tongue with caviar and cre fraiche, and various preparations of rabbit. Chef Daniel Rose brings innovative French cooking to the table without feeling trendy.
My boyfriend took me to dinner at Le Coucou for our anniversary, as he knew it has been on my list for a long time. TLDR; We were both blown away by the whole experience at this restaurant! After a lovely greeting, we were given a table with views of the whole place so we could take it all in. Every detail about the design felt intentional and luxurious, and the ambiance was peaceful yet alive - a rare feat in NYC. The staff are beyond wonderful - so kind, attentive, and knowledgeable. They also made sure our special occasion felt truly special, not just like another night of the week. Every single staff member we interacted with wished us an emphatic Happy Anniversary :') The food exceeded all expectations and we were so grateful to our waiter for making such perfect recommendations. Every bite was a genuine delight and we left VERY full. I also am never one to say the dessert was the best course... but I will be thinking about that green chartreuse creme brulee for a long long time. I could really go on and on about what a great time we had. I am already plotting my next visit! Thanks Le Coucou <3

You’re gonna love this place! It’s an elegant French restaurant with a full menu of incredible food and wines — perfect for a romantic date or a special celebration. I started with the Thon à l’Espelette, a tuna appetizer that was absolutely amazing. For the main course, we had the Filet de Bœuf — insanely delicious, tender meat served with creamy mashed potatoes and bone marrow. We also tried the Agneau Printanier, which comes with lamb chops and a small pot of slow-cooked lamb — juicy, tender, and packed with flavor. For drinks, I went with a non-alcoholic cider (Longe Cider) — refreshing and fantastic. Prices are fair for the quality and experience — not cheap, but if you appreciate top-notch food and fine dining, this place is totally worth it.

Celebrated my birthday here. Everything was phenomenal. Atmosphere is chic and VERY romantic. Me and my husband ordered Galantine de pintade et foie gras à la chartreuse, Filet de bœuf, Homard « bourse et la vie » and Creme Brule. We loved everything. The lobster was one of the best among those that I had in US. I just wish they had escargots served together with baguette as well. Other than that, price matches the performance. Highly recommended!

Excellent Atmosphere and Hospitality. Food quality was excellent, as always. Our server Paolo was very knowledgeable about all the items on the menu, as well as the wine recommendations. We had the Yellowfin Tuna, Morrells, Lobster and Filet. All 5/5 choices. Deserts was phenomenal. A true experience, not just a dinner. We had a 10:45 reservation but arrived at 9 and were seated very promptly.

This was the BEST dining experience I have had in a long time. My husband and I were celebrating our wedding anniversary, and everyone from the hostess to the waitress to the support staff were wishing us a Happy Anniversary and making sure we were comfortable throughout the night. The service was impeccable, our waitress was attentive, and the whole dinner ran smoothly. The most impressive thing that I took away from this experience was the fact that the kitchen went above and beyond to give us a crème brûlée for our dessert to celebrate our anniversary, since due to my food allergies, I could not eat other desserts that were on the menu. The food was amazing and we will be returning 100%.

A spectacular dinner in a truly refined French restaurant. If you’re expecting a bistro or a brasserie style cooking, forget it. This is fine dining that pays homage to classic French cooking and techniques. Since we wanted to share all of the dishes the staff split them when appropriate. We could not pass on trying their seaweed bread and wonderfully creamy butter. The Galantine, with guinea hen and foie gras was a wonderful starter. The roulade was accompanies by gelee and green onions and served with a side of mustard. Next came the super tender Rabbit prepared three ways: roulade, consommé/soup, and daikon w/mustard. To be honest, we found the mustard to be overpowering in the daikon dish. While it certainly gave the dish flavor and a kick that was missing in the first two, far more subtle preparations, it took over and we could not taste the rabbit at all. While the first two dishes were good our favorite, hands down, were the next two: a classic combination of a Ducking with cherries and foie gras and the Filet de boeuf with marrow bone. In both cases, the dishes had a killer sauce and the meat was soft and full of flavor. We closed the meal with Tourtiere with prunes. Made of layers of Phillo dough, butter and sugar, the parcel is layered with prune jam and topped with honey walnuts. Presented table side with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, it was served flambé and finished with Armagnac sauce. The service was impeccable and the deco elegant and added to the refined atmosphere.

Nestled in the Financial District on Pearl Street, Pearl Diner has been a beloved fixture for over 50 years. This classic Manhattan eatery offers a cozy atmosphere amid towering office buildings. The menu features Greek and Mediterranean specialties like Falafel platters, Chicken Gyro sandwiches, and Spinach Pie, along with an array of Overstuffed Cheese Sandwiches and Stuffed Baked Potatoes.
My second time in New York and once again I came regularly to this restaurant. Great American breakfast, excellent coffee, fair prices, big portions and very friendly staff 😃👌

Great diner atmosphere and a nice hot meal after a chilly morning walking the Brooklyn Bridge. I had the chicken parm sub, which was filling and hearty. The interpretation of the Philly Cheesesteak and Monte Cristo were interesting - not bad at all, but not the traditional sandwiches we expected. Curly fries were the best fry iteration. Servings were big and good prices!

Classical New York city style diner with bar, stools and booths. Probably one of the last NYC diners that still exist, a throwback of those that existed in the 70s and 80s everywhere. The service was functional, quick and efficient with no frills. The menu featured breakfast items like omelettes, pancakes and waffles for breakfast, sandwiches and burgers for lunch. Ordered a feta cheese, spinach and onion omelette with avocado on top. It came with home fries and toast but did not get the toast. The omelette was tasty but overcooked, but the coffee was excellent. Price was very reasonable for NYC.

Great option if you are in downtown. The staff is super friendly and welcoming. The omelette was very good and they offer the option of adding avocado which is pretty rare for a diner. We also order bacon, eggs and pancakes which were super fluffy :) would come back!

Went here during our vacation. Food and atmosphere was great at the restaurant. Giving really old school American diner vibes. Only thing what gave me a bad after taste was the extra 25% tip or payment which was not communicated. We were only with two persons and in that case adding 8 or 9 dollars seems unfair as we ordered a lot of stuff instead of sharing one dish. Anyhow, would recommend but would be nice to be informed about it as we come from a country where tips are not common.

We ate here twice for breakfast! Julie, our waitress, was truly the best: attentive, kind, and loved her stories. We sat outside for that NY feel and it felt so nice. Breakfast was great. Eggs and bacon cooked perfectly, but that Belgian waffle…that was delicious. I don’t normally eat waffles because they are dry and tasteless. Not this one! It was crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside, and so tasty. Best one ever really! I’d come here again. I loved sitting outside before starting our day in NY. Julie is a charmer too!! Thank you, Julie!!

A classic diner with excellent pancakes, delicious crispy bacon, and plenty of butter and maple syrup. If you're looking for a traditional breakfast, this is a great choice. The service was friendly and quick. Plus, it's just a short walk from the Financial District and the ferry to the Statue of Liberty.

Came on a recommendation, we worth the walk. Portions are big, trust me, you can share! The French Toast is amazing, in fact everything was just fantastic. It attached to the New Yorker hotel, have a look at the bar downstairs. We worth a visit. Recommend 😁😋😋

Located in the heart of Brooklyn, Buttermilk Channel is a cozy and inviting eatery known for its hearty American comfort food and popular weekend brunch. The restaurant offers a warm and relaxed atmosphere, with carefully crafted dishes that showcase attention to detail. From buttermilk fried chicken sandwiches to duck meatloaf and homemade mushroom-barley veggie burgers, there's something for everyone on the menu.
I’ve been here many, many times and the food and service were always excellent. The barbecued mussels are AMAZING and something I haven’t seen on other menus in NYC. The fried chicken in any form was also fantastic and the cocktails always perfection. This neighborhood staple will be sorely missed, but I’m so glad I got to dine here last night for one final time. Be sure to check out their sister restaurant French Louie!

Came here for restaurant week. The kale salad was delicious, crispy and fresh and not too oily or salty. The trout salad was good too though it was a bit on the saltier side since it was cured. The entrees were ok. I ordered lasagna, it was a bit salty. I didn't taste any eggplants, mostly just squash. The fried chicken was good but nothing out of the ordinary. The Belgium waffle wasn't crispy. The deserts were good though. The pecan Sunday was delicious, although a bit too sweet. The cheesecake was delicious.
Y S — Google review
The brunch is finger-licking good. The must try is the French toast, it’s a whole experience. But the short-rib hash also gives it a run for its money. Even the salad was really yummy and fresh. It can get a little busy though, so be ready for that.
Manu G — Google review
Buttermilk channel is one of my favorite spots in Brooklyn! Their pancakes are fantastic (and so is the jam). We also ordered the short rib hash, warm lamb salad and a side of bacon. All of which were delicious. The breakfast cocktails weren’t my favorite but I would absolutely visit again for the food and vibe!

Did brunch here on a busy Sunday. Was nice to see your place that is well run and able to serve a full house. Reservations look to be a really good idea on busy time is like Sunday brunch. The service was professional and friendly. Chicken sandwich tasted as good as it looked. Poached eggs were perfection. Pancakes were divine, the maple syrup was a sweet delight. And the fries, the fries! Don't forget to order some. Look forward to Dining there again when we visit family in Brooklyn.

Stepping into Buttermilk Channel Restaurant felt like stumbling upon a breakfast paradise, and their Chicken & Waffles and Pancakes sealed the deal for an authentic morning feast. The Chicken & Waffles were a revelation, with the chicken boasting a perfect crunch and the waffles a comforting canvas for the flavors. As for the pancakes, they were a testament to homey goodness, fluffy and delicious. The care they put into sourcing quality ingredients was evident in every bite. The cozy vibe of the place, combined with the friendly staff, made it a genuine, comforting experience. Buttermilk Channel Restaurant is where breakfast dreams come true, a spot I'd gladly revisit for a taste of their hearty, real-deal dishes.

Lovely place for brunch! The interior was very nicely decorated and there were great options to choose from for food. I got the chicken and waffles which was very tasty. It was light and crispy on the outside while juicy on the inside, would love to come back and try more dishes.
Christine — Google review
The place is very cute and the service is great. The walnut sticky bun was great, exactly what one would expect. The short rib hash had some interesting middle eastern spices, which gave it a unique flavor. The fried chicken sandwich is enormous, the chicken is so juicy and the coleslaw and pickles are nice to cut through the fattiness. The French toast was my favorite. It's very thick but soaked all the way through, the sauce is amazing, and the whipped cream is very good and just the right density/heaviness.

Mom's Kitchen and Bar is a popular spot in New York City, offering a diverse menu of comfort food, cocktails, and shakes. The all-day brunch menu features unique dishes like honey-dripping Mac & Cheese pancakes, scrambled eggs pancake burritos, jumbo Cajun cheesy shrimps, chive-mascarpone breakfast sandwich, and grilled strip steak & eggs.
I LOVED THE FOOD!! I got the chicken and waffles and it was EXACTLY what's I've been craving for all long. Real handmade waffles, well seasoned, crispy chicken and the food was HOT! I also enjoyed the sauce that I got on the side for the chicken. I don't exactly know what it was but it was really good. And it's some type of sweet a little bit spicy syrup for the waffles that I did like as well. My server was polite and accommodating but I forgot his name. We were greeted by a nice young lady who seemed friendly at the door. I didn't really care for the atmosphere too much. The background was a bit noisy with lots of chatter and it was pretty crowded but I can see why because the food was just delicious! In my opinion, I found the prices to be a little pricey for me personally but it was worth every penny. I also got the blue electric lemonade which was really good. Had a nice little buzz going on. (My friends also enjoyed their food)

Mom’s Kitchen & Bar is such a fun spot in NYC! The retro diner vibe mixed with creative comfort food makes it a really unique experience. The milkshakes are absolutely over the top (in the best way) and the portions are super generous—you definitely won’t leave hungry. Service was friendly and the atmosphere is lively without being overwhelming. The only reason I’m giving 4 instead of 5 stars is because it can get a little pricey for what you’re getting, and the wait can be long during peak hours. Still, definitely worth a visit if you’re in the mood for comfort food with a twist!

Stopped off at Mom’s Kitchen and Bar in Mid-Town Manhattan today, I was solo so grabbed a seat at the bar and was greeted by the super friendly staff, with some water and good coffee lined up quickly. It’s a cool place, quite an eccentric decor but not over the top, with a good bustling Sunday brunch vibe going on thanks to the sunshine. The menu seemed great, lots of classic American breakfast dishes to choose from, although I skipped the pancakes and waffles and had the breakfast sandwich with home fries - this was great, and the homes fries are delicious, little roasted/fried skin-on potato chunks which really hit the spot. The steak & eggs and the avocado toast looked tasty too. I really enjoyed stopping off at Mom’s, the barman had good chat and it was great as a solo traveller today. Highly recommended!

Such a fun dinner spot with friends! Friendly service and catchy music in an upscale yet retro dining room. Buy beware - portions are massive and everything is delicious! The mimosas and Oreo milkshake were to die for. The chicken avocado bowl and a (huge) side of chocolate chip pancakes made for a filling meal. Such nice variety on the menu you may have trouble deciding! Can’t wait to go back!

We went to Mom’s Kitchen for a late brunch and were impressed by the variety of dishes. We tried the breakfast sandwich, the avocado toast, and the pancake burrito. We also shared some chicken wings and fried cheese curds. The food was decent, and the portions were absolutely massive — we could barely finish because it was so generous. The service was very pleasant, and the place has a really cool vibe!

We absolutely loved our brunch at Mom’s Kitchen and Bar! The fried chicken was perfectly seasoned and crispy, made with chicken breast but still incredibly juicy. The Woodland omelette was savory, and the béchamel sauce was the perfect touch that made the dish spectacular. The Gymbod Breakfast was another favorite, and it’s proof that healthy options can still be absolutely delicious! The service was amazing, and everyone was so friendly and attentive, specially our server Maggie. The ambience was cute, fun, and full of great energy, making it the perfect spot to end our weekend getaway in NYC. We’ll definitely be coming back!

I had a pleasant experience at a local establishment in the Hells Kitchen area. I visited for brunch and enjoyed a margarita along with their Woodland omelet, which was quite delicious, especially with the bechamel sauce. While it didn't completely exceed my expectations( sorry couldn't give 5 stars for the food. But 4 is still really solid) and the food was enjoyable, and the atmosphere along with the service provided by the staff were excellent. The ambiance was cozy and comfortable, which generally contributes to a positive experience. I would certainly consider returning if I am in the vicinity again, as it is conveniently located near the theater district, and I am interested in exploring other menu options.

I recently just went with my girlfriend and it was spectacular. Immediately upon entry we were greeted with amazing service. Our waiter Emerson did an amazing job taking our orders and getting them to our table quickly. Personally, I got their Cinnamon French toast with vanilla ice cream on top and the pumpkin vodka RumChata drink (can’t remember what’s it’s actually called lol), but both had an amazing balance between flavors. My girlfriend got the chicken and waffles. In her own words, “ I would describe it as good. The chicken was really crispy and it came with a nice sweet sauce on the side. Very large portions.” Overall this is an amazing atmosphere and they were playing Harry Potter on the tv’s.

Oooooh we skipped Lobster for a Burger and Waffle Fries, and wow what a perfect choice. Good size, good price for what we got and most importantly, ridiculously super tasty. My partner who opted for lobster in another restaurant went in for the waffle fries as they where so tasty. Considering the amount of choice in Chelsea Market, today we made an excellent choice. Don't get me wrong I love lobster Lobster and its super Tasty, but hell from time time time an awesome Burger just hits the spot .

Chelsea Market is always busy, especially on the weekend so we felt glad we were able to sneak a rare available table and an equally good spot in line for lunch here. I was starving so ordered both the bacon cheeseburger and the buffalo chicken sandwich and they were both fantastic. Sadly their shake machine was broken so we will have to come back another time we are in town. Highly recommended.

Burgers were ok...put ketchup on my patty melt for some reason and quite pricey for what it was. $100+ for 2 adults and a 12 yr old. Chelsea Market was really cool, though
Lincoln M — Google review
Underrated joint. I ordered the cheeseburger and I thought it was pretty good. IMO the onion jam doesn’t add much so you could do without, also the ketchup might be unnecessary and could be replaced with mayo or burger sauce. But the key aspects, the beef patties and the bun, were really good. I’d definitely be happy to eat this again.

I had the cheeseburger at New York Steakhouse ,it was good! The portion was filling and the flavors were nice, though not the best I’ve ever had. The staff were really kind and made the experience pleasant overall. Solid 7/10!

Excellent service. 3 of the staff briefly stopped by to ask if we needed anything, etc… they couldn’t have been nicer. The burger was delicious. The waffle fries were out of this world! No joking! I don’t even like waffle fries but I couldn’t stop eating them. Soooo crispy. This establishment didn’t even automatically ask for a tip to be added to the bill, which was really surprising at Chelsea Market. Highly recommend this great place!

La Bonbonniere is a classic, cash-only diner located in the West Village of NYC. Despite the neighborhood's upscale atmosphere, this unpretentious eatery has maintained its old-school charm and affordable prices. The menu features American classics like omelets, burgers, Challah French toast with chocolate chips, and crispy bacon. The diner is open daily from 7AM to 5PM and tends to be busy, but the service is quick.
After an early 7 AM arrival from Vancouver, our first stop in the Big Apple for breakfast was the legendary La Bonbonniere located in the West Village. This spot had been on my list ever since I recognized it as "The City Spoon" from The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel (seasons 1 & 2 for fellow fans!). We arrived around 8:45 AM on a Friday morning, and as expected for a classic New York diner, all the tables were full. We snagged seats at the bar, which gave us a front-row view of the incredibly busy staff - taking orders, cooking, and preparing everything with lightning speed. It was exactly the bustling, authentic diner experience I'd hoped for. We fueled up with a hearty vegetarian omelette (packed with veggies, a big win!), along with tea and coffee, and a classic NYC bagel with cream cheese. It was the perfect, satisfying meal to kick off our New York adventure. CASH is only accepted as method of payment.

Quintessential New York diner experience. I got there early at 7 a.m. and there was ample seating available. The restaurant has nice window scenery of Chelsea and there’s outdoor seating too. Friendly (but not overly-intrusive) servers give you exactly what you want and leave you in peace the rest of the time. Super generous menu that provides lots of options and all the diner classics. Delicious coffee. Had an excellent lox bagel. Nothing negative to say, I imagine it’s looked exactly this way for 20 years and the price probably hasn’t changed all that much since.

If your going to visit a proper diner is NYC make it this one. Service, food and atmosphere were all exactly what you want. 5 stars across the board. Great coffee ☕️.

This is a true local favourite kinda place. I wouldn’t say their French toast is the best in NYC but it is pretty good for the price. For the real experience it would be fun to sit at the bar counter.

La Bonbonniere: A Hidden Gem with a Celebrity Touch Don't let the shabby exterior fool you! La Bonbonniere is a charming little diner with a surprisingly delicious menu and a friendly atmosphere. Our waiter, Juan, was incredibly attentive and made us feel welcome from the start. We enjoyed a hearty breakfast of French toast, burgers, fries, and chili beans, all of which were cooked to perfection. The coffee was strong and flavorful, just the way we like it. While the diner may not be the most glamorous place in town, it has a certain charm that's hard to resist. The pictures of celebrities like Ethan Hawke on the walls add a touch of history and intrigue. If you're looking for a no-frills, delicious meal in a cozy setting, La Bonbonniere is definitely worth a visit.

Sigh. First time at this place and will be my last! (The food) breakfast wasn't anything that made me want to will return, Coffee was just plan dirty water nothing special and it's given in a go coffee cup thought that was pretty weird Pancakes bland no real effect just throw the blueberries in it which was a bit too much, side of ham tasted funny and eggie I don't like eggs and it was cooked on the same grill which I'm not a fan of at all! Inside the place needs a major cleaning everything old depressing ugly and just felt dirty like I'm sitting in a unclean apartment or dinner gathering! Sitting in the park would have been more satisfying, Staff was okay nothing I would say I felt generally a warmed vibe or energy that wanted me to come back just dull. I'm not sure how this is a place that people speak highly about with great food breakfast options, can't imagine how other dishes would be? I have been too better diners with way better food and a clean establishment I like trying new places to eat but this was a let down.

Cheryl's Global Soul is a cozy all-day restaurant located in Prospect Heights, Brooklyn. Chef Cheryl Smith's culinary journey from dishwasher to executive chef has influenced the diverse and comforting menu at this establishment. The restaurant offers a fusion of global comfort foods, including dishes inspired by classical French, contemporary pan-Asian, Pacific Rim, Moroccan, and home-style American cuisines. Some popular menu items include Moroccan vegetable tagine, Bulgogi-marinated rib eye steak, and Creole B.B.
Our family’s favorite place for brunch and dinner. This is it. The Chicken with pancakes is my favorite for brunch and I have not changed my order in years. My husband loves the French toast. For dinner get the burgers its good and the fries are fresh. We love the chill relaxing vibes here. Definitely visit.
Eva G — Google review
Saw the reviews and thought to give this place a try. I honestly felt the food was underwhelming. Two of us ordered the pancakes with fried chicken and my vegetarian friend ordered a side of eggs, potatoes and pancakes. All of the food was severely under seasoned, all of us were adding lots of salt and pepper on everything. The fried chicken wasn’t crispy but it was juicy and I felt it was a good portion size, one nicely sized boneless piece of chicken for each pancake. The creme that came with the pancake was very tasty as was the mustard syrup. The pancakes were fluffy. Two if us had the house cocktail rum punch, which I felt was on the weaker side, overpriced at 14 dollars. Would’ve tried another drink had they come to our table and ask before we all were fully done with our meals. The service was okay. Friendly as we entered and were seated but they don’t check on you after the food is delivered. Food came fast which was nice, the restaurant overall was pretty empty. Outdoor and indoor seating available as well as a patio I believe.
Hak B — Google review
First and foremost, the food here is amazing. I ordered the buttermilk pancakes with mixed berries. These pancakes were fluffy, buttery and had the perfect amount of sweetness. The berries and cream on top made it even better. I can rave on about these packages, so good. On the side I had 2 eggs scrambled with cheese and it was softly scrambled and just the right amount of salt. We had the homemade gingerade which was tasty and refreshing. Now to the service…it was subpar. Our waiter never introduced himself. He came over and asked what we wanted to drink no greeting at all. We put in our order to drink and sat around for more than 10-15 minutes waiting to place our order. When he did come around the area he took the order of the table beside us who were seated 20 minutes after us. He did not ask if we were ready first. Some time passed and the table beside us got their food and the fired chicken smelled really good, so I called the waiter over to place an order. My friend also placed another order for the gingerade. Then, we got our meal and when I got to my last pancake I saw the waiter walking over to the table with the bill, but he then turned back. Almost 5 minutes had passed of finishing my pancake and the waiter swiftly came over to place the bill on the table and walk away. We wanted to use Apple Pay so he stopped to tell us go over to the bar to pay. When we looked at the bill it had an item called “open food” included in the total that was $8. We assumed it was the fired chicken we never got. I called him over and he said “I can remove it from your total.” There was no option of waiting for the chicken I had ordered 30 minutes ago, he just offered to take it off the bill. I was really disappointed because I did want to try it and I ended up just saying okay. He brought a new bill over we paid and left. The host was kind and did a great job checking in everyone Atmosphere: today was one of the hotter days in Brooklyn, but the inside of the restaurant was extremely hot. Other costumers were fanning themselves or using a handheld fan as well. I noticed an overhead fan by the bar but none where costumer were sitting. As I continued to eat I became increasingly hot. I think it’s best to sit outside if you are heat intolerant

its been a while since ive ate at a spot that hit every mark on the food. I was able to enjoy their dinner menu with the fried calamari with chili sauce which was crispy, seasoned and served with their scotch bonnet hot sauce. The jerk roast pork bowl was delicious with tender pork and pickled carrots and onions (I wish there was more!!). And we finished with a brownie sundae and by the end of the meal I was stuffed and I had leftovers. I def want to come back to enjoy their brunch menu!!

Cute brunch spot. It’s very crowded on the weekends. Food was pretty good - I liked my pancakes and waffles but friends gave mixed reviews on the other dishes. They were a bit understaffed and didn’t bring out our drinks until after we had received our entrees.

Cheryl’s Global Soul truly feels like a second home to me. Cheryl and her amazing team Ennio, Marco, Raphael, Kelly, and Damien always make the atmosphere warm, welcoming, and consistent. The vibe is diverse but tight-knit, like a real family. My go-to order is the Cajun wings with chipotle mayo, fries, and a rum punch absolute perfection. The “Brooklyn” cocktail pairs beautifully with the blackened catfish, mac, and sautéed spinach, which is my close second favorite. Rounding out my top three is the chicken bowl, a solid everyday option. Great food, great people, great energy I can’t recommend this place enough. Delicious food (we got pancakes with berries and the chicken sandwich.) You must try the scotch bonnet hot sauce. Dino is a charming Italian restaurant located in Fort Greene, offering a cozy ambiance with sidewalk seating and a quaint picket-fenced back patio. Specializing in Northern Italian cuisine, the menu features an array of traditional dishes, including various homemade pasta options, with the choice of gluten-free versions for an additional charge.
What a truly lovely little restaurant. The fennel salad was excellent. And skirt steak cooked perfectly. Chicken Milanese was also very very good.

We had our engagement dinner at Dino last October, and it was honestly perfect. I can’t put into words how grateful I am to the entire team for making the night so special. From the moment we arrived, the staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome and taken care of. Everyone — from the hostess to the servers — was so kind, organized, and genuinely invested in making sure our evening went smoothly. The upstairs room was exactly what we hoped for: warm, cozy, and intimate, the perfect setting for our celebration with close friends and family. We arrived about 30 minutes early to set up, and the staff immediately jumped in to ask if they could help with anything. It was such a relief and made the whole experience feel effortless. The food was incredible — every dish came out perfectly timed and absolutely delicious. The servers were attentive without being intrusive, kept the wine flowing, and made sure every guest felt taken care of. It was one of those rare nights where everything just felt right. Dino made it unforgettable, and I’m still smiling thinking about it. I can’t recommend them enough for anyone looking for a beautiful, welcoming place to host a special event. Truly, they made our night magical.

Sadly the Peroni on tap has been unavailable for many of my last visits.. but Shannon the bartender makes up for it with her charm and alternate suggestions:)

Purity Diner is a classic American and Greek eatery with a cozy atmosphere and exposed-brick walls. It offers an extensive menu, including all-day breakfast options. Customers have praised the warm and welcoming owners, as well as the attentive service. The diner is known for its delicious pancakes, fluffy French toast, and steak and eggs. Despite a minor issue with the waffle machine during one visit, patrons found the alternative options satisfying.
My mom took me here for my 24TH Birthday, the food was delicious & hot. The customer service here is truly amazing. They serve a lot of food. And the cup of fresh hot coffee they made a new batch for me & my mom the dessert is also delicious. We will definitely be coming back to this amazing diner. The staffs here makes you feel like you’re at home. ✨🫶🏻

We had breakfast & we order Challah French Toast (it was really good) & Steak with Eggs, everything tastes really good & fresh. All the ingredientes are good quality. Coffee was also good. Love the decor on the walls & the atmosphere. They have a lot of indoor seating. Also the staff are always friendly & helpful! Excellent service! I totally recommend it!

Purity Doner left us with mixed feelings. On Sundays, the kitchen closes at 3 PM—an hour earlier than the restaurant—and we felt rushed to order multiple times, which set an uncomfortable tone for the visit. Even for a diner, the menu felt overwhelmingly long, with far too many options. We tried the Grilled Chicken Oriental, which was described as a teriyaki sandwich, and the Gyro Platter. Unfortunately, the chicken sandwich didn’t include any teriyaki sauce as advertised. However, the two large grilled chicken breasts were well-cooked and flavorful, served on a burger bun. The accompanying thick-cut French fries were a highlight, made with quality potatoes and cooked just right. The Gyro Platter, on the other hand, was a complete disappointment. The beef slices resembled a strange mix of breakfast sausage and spam, and the flavor and texture were unappetizing. It left me feeling sick for hours afterward. Service was average, and for $25 per person, I expected much better overall quality. While some elements of the meal were enjoyable, the experience as a whole fell short. I wouldn’t rush back anytime soon.

We love this place and always make the longish trip from Manhattan to eat here at least once per trip. Situated in the bustling and beautiful Park Slope neighborhood, the diner has super friendly service and delicious food done well, with very generous portions. Maybe a dollar or two more than some places but it's worth it.

The bacon cheese burger Deluxe is good. the bacon was too well done for my liking. I added cheese to the fries and it was delicious. Service is good. Nice restaurant.

This place is great! If you’re look for generous and tasty portions this is your place. I ordered the Californian omelette and some sauces and they were to die for! My friend ordered a cesar salad with grilled chicken and it was very delicious. The Service was quick and on point. The vibe is like an authentic American diner.

Oh my this cute little diner was fantastic. Great place to grab a nice lunch...we went there after visiting a family member at New York Presbyterian Brooklyn hospital. I loved their crunchy onion rings and my chicken salad triple Decker ...my spouse had chicken sandwich (ask for mayo) w/fries. Overall a wonderful lunch date and food. You sit yourself. Bathrooms are clean, wait staff are professional and pleasant. First time there. If we ever get to go to the hospital...we will stop by again. Parking is terrible... well it's NY... parking in NY sucks

We were seated near the kitchen, where the constant clatter of dishes made it hard to enjoy the meal. The same server repeatedly bumped into my chair while passing. The food was average — eggs were fine, but the chicken sausage was dry, the pre-buttered bread needed more butter, and the strawberry jam was watery. Overall, a mediocre experience. Too bad Park Slope lacks solid sit-down breakfast options.

Mike's Coffee Shop is a classic diner located in Clinton Hill, popular among Pratt students and locals alike. The cozy corner spot offers a down-home setting where you can enjoy buttery grits, passable hamburgers, and delicious French toast. Stepping inside feels like being transported back to the 1950s with its typical diner ambiance. Despite its small size, it provides a nostalgic dining experience reminiscent of restaurants from over 50 years ago.
Great local diner! The staff was very friendly. I was in NYC for a few days and ate breakfast here twice. The portions were a good size and the food came out piping hot. I’m from the south so I wasn’t sure about how the grits would come out. Overall, not bad for NYC. They were a little watery for my taste, but again not bad. They had counter seating if you are rolling solo. Space is a bit tight, but manageable. I went around 9am and had at most a 10 minute wait the first time and no wait the second time. I would definitely go back again for breakfast.

Great neighborhood diner that provides the best prices I’ve seen in the area. My friends and I came here for Saturday morning brunch and there was a bit of a line but it moved quickly. We ordered omelettes, which come with your choice of potatoes or grits and your choice of whole wheat or white toast (excellent deal!). We also ordered blueberry pancakes for the table. Everything tasted fine, though the pancakes were a bit on the bland side. Service was speedy and friendly. All in all, I 100% recommend this spot for breakfast, lunch or brunch any day of the week — and if you incur a line, know that it’s worth the wait.

Stopped by Mike’s Cafe on a Sunday morning and really enjoyed it. It’s a laid-back, classic New York spot with friendly service and a steady stream of regulars. I got two eggs, toast, bacon, and homefries, everything was really good, though the homefries could’ve been a bit crispier. It was super busy, which makes sense for the weekend, and while we had to sit outside, I was glad we found a table. Would definitely go back.

Mike’s is our go-to breakfast whilst we’re staying near Fort Greene. You absolutely have to go here. It’s a truly classic diner with great food Nd a really warm, buzzy atmosphere. To top it all off, the service is exceptional! They were really helpful with allergens too. No dairy, no problem.

After cycling 136 miles: I’m hungry, cold, & tired. MIKE’S was opened at 6 am and in proximity of the Atlantic Terminal. Just what the doctor ordered. I’m the 3rd patron in the door at 6:15 am. Sat at the counter and ordered the corn beef hash with eggs & hash brown. I can’t really remember much except that I wolfed it down. Pretty much ate everything including the toast minus the napkins & condiments. 😅😅 This is a good comfortable spot with pleasant vibes. If you’re hungry and it’s early. Definitely give it a try

Breakfast by Salt's Cure is a laid-back eatery with a cozy decor, offering a simple routine of ordering at the counter and finding a seat. Their signature Oatmeal Griddle Cakes are a must-try, available in options like The OG, Banana Nut, and Chocolate Chip. With locations in Los Angeles and New York City, this spot has gained a cult following for its amazing pancakes that melt in your mouth.
We were looking for somewhere for pancakes for breakfast and came across Breakfast by Salt’s Cure. A lot of the reviews said they had to wait a long time to get seated but we walked right in on a Tuesday morning at 9am. You order at the counter and then sit down. We both ordered The Classic which is 2 OG griddle cakes, 2 sausage patties of your choice and then 2 eggs in the style of your choice. I’d never had a pancake like this but it was absolutely delicious and so light! They had some sort of cinnamon sugar on them which was just the right amount. We both opted for the chicken sausage which was tasty - however the shape was quite foreign to us as Scottish people 😆 We had a lovely leisurely breakfast here sitting and enjoying the February sun and reading our books after our breakfast. The breakfast was so reasonably priced compared to a lot of other places we went too. Have recommended to a few people who are visiting New York soon.
Lily J — Google review
The food was absolutely and positively garbage. The Og griddle pancakes were grainy and lacked any real flavor. The scrambled eggs mediocre at best and the chicken sausage that they gave me tasted and looked like Jimmy Dean’s frozen sausages. If I could give this place zero stars I would . I truly wonder why people queue in line for this place.
Gyan Q — Google review
Best. Griddle. Cakes. Period. OMG, if you’re looking for a charming, delicious breakfast, stop scrolling and head to Breakfast by Salt's Cure. The vibe when you walk in is just chef’s kiss—super cute, bright, and instantly makes you feel like your day is going to be good. I ordered the 2+2+2 breakfast (two griddle cakes, two soft scrambled eggs, and two sausage patties) and can we talk about those griddle cakes?! Here's the kicker and a huge win for the gluten-free crowd: they can make any of their cakes gluten-free! I got the “OG” Griddle Cakes (GF, of course) topped with that incredible cinnamon molasses butter. They are thin and perfectly crispy around the edges with a sweet, molten center. Seriously, some of the best I have ever had. My partner ordered the regular banana walnut cakes, and I’m just going to say it: the GF version was the winner! They were somehow even better than the original. The soft scrambled eggs were perfectly fluffy, and the sausage patties were savory and excellent. This place is an absolute gem for a delightful and genuinely delicious start to your day. Highly recommend!

I’ve been wanting to go here for a while now! As someone who is gluten free, I love that they have the option to make the griddle cakes gluten free. The flavor was beyond any expectations I had! So happy I was able to come early enough before there was a line out the door. Will definitely come back again.

If you go on a weekend be prepared for a line down the block. That said, it moves and you can always grab a coffee while you wait. You place your order up front and they bring it to your table. We all got the 2x2x2. No syrup needed with these pancakes and none is provided.
Gracie — Google review
This place doesn’t have a reservation or a waitlist system so joining the long queue is your only option, especially on weekends. Decided to visit this place on a rainy Sunday anticipating less crowd, however, it turned out many people had the same idea and we had to wait 40 mins (a bargain vs the 60+mins wait normally). You order and pay at the counter and head to the table. The menu is short and amazing! The oatmeal griddle cake (pancakeish but no syrup ) lived up to the expectation!! It was delicious and I never had something like this before. It’s crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Went for the Banana Nut and loved every bite! Recommended 10/10

idk how this place doesn’t have a higher rating. the pancakes are incredible!!!!! I went around 8:30 on a Saturday morning and waited for 15 minutes. the pancakes melt in your mouth. the eggs are good & the chicken sausage is such high quality. i will be back!

Service 10/10. Food was interesting, pancakes are on the wet side but lacks sweetness. The veggie patties were a bit dry. Eggs were done nicely but wish I had ordered toast to dip it in.

If you're in the mood for a seafood brunch in Brooklyn, Sweet Catch BK is the place to be. Founded by Kawana Jefferson, this cozy eatery offers a unique and flavorful menu that showcases a passion for 'seafood made with soul.' Start your meal with the must-try crab dip and indulge in their cornbread avocado toast served with fried oysters. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, offering great recommendations, while the atmosphere is quaint and inviting.
Loved the atmosphere, music choices, and the food was great! Very calm and inviting. The stand-out of my meal was definitely the fried okra. As someone from the south it reminded me of home <3. The sober mule mock-tail was also quite delicious. Our dishes did take a while to be served but the chef personally came out to apologize for the wait which was unexpected but a very nice gesture nonetheless! The meal was certainly worth the wait. Definitely recommend if you’re wanting an enjoyable experience at a black owned establishment!

We had a lovely brunch in a lively atmosphere where a large party was celebrating. There was a bit of a mix up with the menu QR code that displayed only 4 pages with no brunch menu. My husband had chosen gumbo and okra but it turns out that was the dinner menu. We were shown how to refresh the menu to show 6 pages and we chose cornbread, broiled oysters, catfish and grits and a catfish sandwich with Cajun fries. Everything was excellent. We also tried some signature cocktails. The bartender came over saying another customer didn't like her drink so he wanted to check because we had the same drink. It was a bit too sweet. He was able to adjust it at the table. We ordered more oysters after finishing the initial batch. The party was so lively and the DJ was attentive enough to ask if the music was too loud. It wasn't. We will definitely visit again to try the gumbo and okra. The staff was so attentive that they cleared not only finished dishes but a scrap of plastic wrapping that had fallen from a customer near our table and a paper towel I'd used to dry my hands on our table. It's the small things that I noticed. We didn't feel slighted at all despite the large party of like 40 people that came in after us.

My wife and I went to Sweet Catch BK last night for their 3-year anniversary, and after such a phenomenal experience, it’s clear why they’ll be around for many more years to come. The service was warm, attentive, and welcoming from start to finish, and the food was absolutely exceptional. We started with the deviled eggs topped with crab meat and the baked oysters. Both were packed with flavor and beautifully presented. For entrées, we enjoyed the Jerk Short Ribs and the Fried Catfish & Grits. Everything not only looked amazing but tasted even better. Sweet Catch BK truly knows how to deliver a memorable dining experience. We’ll certainly be back!

The oysters were great. The drinks were perfect. The curry mussels were the best I've had. Had the bang bang shrimp. Had the Gumbo. That was too salty. Didn't enjoy that too much. But everything else was fantastic. Definitely going back.. We sat at the patio which was a great part of the restaurant and the music playing was perfect.
Carlos N — Google review
One convenient plus is that there's adequate parking available on Nostrand Avenue, although it is metered, so be sure to keep an eye on the time. The Guava Lemonade was refreshing and probably the highlight of the meal. Unfortunately, everything else didn’t quite meet expectations. We ordered Shrimp & Grits and Catfish & Grits, and while the proteins were tasty, the grits were stiff and lacked creaminess; not what you’d hope for from a Southern style dish. The silverware felt cheap, which didn’t help the overall impression. Service and ambiance were also lacking. Staff were walking around in sweatpants and du rags, which, while possibly acceptable for back of-restaurant comfort, doesn’t inspire confidence when seen in the front of the restaurant. If you’re going to dress that casually, it may be best to remain behind the scenes. The music selection was great, no complaints there, but the volume was too high, making conversation across the table difficult. That might be fine if you're just there to vibe, but if you're coming for a meal and a conversation, it’s disruptive. The menu looks promising at first glance, with a lot of options that sound great. However, after trying the food and experiencing the service, I honestly felt no desire to explore the rest of the menu. The whole experience made it hard to justify the $87 bill for two entrees and a juice , especially when the food was so so and the atmosphere unrefined. This place is listed on Resy, but for my fellow Amex cardholders, I’d recommend looking elsewhere in the area. There are definitely better spots to use your dining credits on. Places that deliver a better balance of quality, service, and ambiance. Final thoughts:
I honestly can’t think of an occasion where Sweet Catch BK would be the right fit. Brunch, casual dinner, date night ; none really make sense here, given the overall experience. Sadly, it’s not a place I’d return to or recommend.

Came here for a group brunch celebration fr my birthday recently. Kawana and her team went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time! Came for the vibe and ambiance because it gives that perfect lunch by the sea vibe, and back patio is so nice! The event manager was so nice answering any questions I had before my event, and helped setting up the backspace. Servers were so attentive constantly making sure hr drinks were filled, and the chef even came out to make sure our food was to our liking, which it was! The day was so lovey and it had a lot to do with how we were treated.
Cheyenne B — Google review
This was my first and will be my last visit to this establishment. (I ordered takeout.) Upon returning home and opening the bag, I was disappointed as usual. If I resided closer, I would have promptly returned the food. I spent $35 on the beef short rib, and $33 on the seafood pasta but the portion was far from satisfactory, especially considering the inclusion of a large bone. While I acknowledge that certain foods can be expensive, the price charged does not justify the portion size. If you seek value for your money, I recommend exploring other options.

I must say this is my first time back in 2 years and they did not disappoint. I was seated immediately. My server was Derrick he was very attentive and amazing. Shoutout to the chef and kitchen staff the food was 10000000/10. As for the bartender executed my drink to the T 100000/10. Service and atmosphere out of all was amazing. Sugar Factory New York - Time Square is a popular celebrity-endorsed restaurant in NYC, known for its over-the-top vibe and Instagram-worthy appeal. The atmosphere is fantastic, with an extensive menu that includes fancy drinks and a comprehensive food selection. Visitors praise the excellent service provided by staff members like Steven and Amara, who made special occasions memorable. While it may be on the pricier side, the large drinks and overall experience make it worth a visit for those seeking a fun dining adventure.
Sugar Factory in Times Square is pure magic for anyone with a sweet tooth or just looking for a fun, unforgettable treat. From the moment you walk in, you’re surrounded by a colorful, candy-filled wonderland that instantly puts you in a great mood. The staff is upbeat and welcoming, and the entire space has a lively, exciting vibe that’s perfect for both kids and adults. I tried one of their signature non-alcoholic drinks, and it was amazing—sweet, over-the-top, and served in their famous large goblet with all the eye-catching presentation you’d expect. The strawberry ice cream was equally fantastic: creamy, full of fresh strawberry flavor, and beautifully served. The attached candy shop is also a blast to explore, with a huge variety of sweets and fun gifts you won’t find anywhere else. Whether you’re visiting New York or a local looking for a special dessert spot, Sugar Factory Times Square is a must. Great treats, friendly service, and a bright, energetic atmosphere make it an experience you’ll want to share with friends and family again and again.

With a name like sugar factory, I had to try it. And I’m glad we did. We went Friday night at 10 after we went to hadestown, which was amazing. It wasn’t too crowded. They have an elevator to get a wheelchair to the second floor. There is a fun atmosphere with lots of music and the servers are dancing and bringing out birthday treats with fireworks. It’s a lot of fun. I got the burger and thought it was really good. My daughter got the brick chicken and really liked it. We got a brownie shake and it was delicious. The servers and staff were all very friendly. We had a great time here.
Mark T — Google review
I wanted to like The Sugar Factory so much but after the experience I had it left a bad taste in my mouth and I will never return to this location again. For starters if you want to have a chill dinner to celebrate your birthday or any birthdays I suggest you steer clear of any sugar factory as this place is 9 times out 10 filled with kids running around. The music is extremely loud, the section my family and I were seated wasn’t clean and the reservation system is a joke. I reserved for a party of 9 at 8:15pm. 2 of my guests canceled, when I got there I let the hostess know, no problem. She told me that the place was running behind with their reservations when I asked her how long would it be to be seated she couldn’t tell me. I tried to remain patient as it is Times Square, well we ended up waiting for an entire HOUR. I was ready to throw in the towel and go somewhere else to eat, until I saw a party of 10 people get seated before mine. When I asked the hostess why this was she told me it was because that party arrived a couple of minutes earlier than me. What? So what’s the point of making reservations? They have more of a first come first serve system than an actual reservations system. Our servers name was Cynthia who was nice but she would disappear for 20-25 minutes so the ordering process was excruciatingly long and slow. For appetizers we got the foot long mozzarella stick which was enough to feed all 7 of us, and although the mozzarella stick was good the middle of it was raw/not melted. For entrees I got the sweet and sour chicken noodle Thai which was really good! Really light and favorable. For drinks I got the Diosa Mimosa designed by Natti Natasha which was also very good. For dessert we ordered the brownie sundae which was also good. My check came out to $437 with 20% of gratuity included. And if I can be honest … it wasn’t $400 well spent. I’m willing to give this business another chance just in a different location because the food and drink were really good. I just feel like the Times Square location is very poorly managed. Overall by the time it was to order dessert I was already over the whole experience and was ready to go home. My reservation was for 8:15pm and I made it home at 1:30am all of that due to wait time at the front and the delay in ordering. Never again.

Place is good, service is friendly, moderately priced, but the milkshakes are incredibly overpriced. $25 for a milkshake is insane, in my opinion. If you’re charging for the donuts and cookies and stuff give an option to take those off for a price difference because I can get 3-4 shakes for that price. Food is not bad, just wish they gave your bacon with the waffle without up-charging on it. Overall nice spot just touristy like the stardust diner, so a little more expensive.

From the moment we were seated, Ainel made our entire experience unforgettable. She was warm, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. Every recommendation she made was spot on — from the drinks to the desserts. You could tell she truly loves what she does and takes pride in making her guests happy. Even with how busy the restaurant was, she never made us feel rushed or overlooked. She checked in at the perfect times, kept our table spotless, and made sure we had everything we needed. Her positive energy and professionalism really stood out — she turned what was already a fun night into an exceptional one. If you ever visit the Sugar Factory, ask for Ainel — she’s the reason we’ll be coming back again soon!

For a first time experience, the atmosphere was very calm and enjoyable. The food was very good but the drinks are to die for 🥰🔥. I loved the whole experience and it’s the best way to celebrate your anniversary with your loved one or even a birthday. They also have a photographer there who asks you if you wanna take pictures and the pricing is very reasonable and affordable. I highly recommend going here if you haven’t. also we had a very chocolate cookie milkshake and that was so good. We didn’t get a picture due to us just enjoying our time together and soaking up with memory but their milkshakes are so big and filling

Firstly, we arrived there late at 12:20am, I didn’t even think they would sit us but they did and we were seated immediately and served almost immediately after. 10/10 experience, our server was Warren and made this late night trip worth it ! We got the Candy Shop drink which is amazing their Sugar Factory Sampler is sooo good. Again server Warren very attentive and made sure my boyfriend and I were satisfied during our meal and experience. The staff were lovely even though we came in later than expected. I will 100% be back and be sure to ask for Warren for quality service!

It's an experience. Menu full of interesting drinks, desserts, and entrees. Famous people have come here for the specialty drinks and Ice cream combinations. Food was relatively good. The chicken Parm for two was humongous but the chicken was over done. The Thai noodle dishes were good. The burgers are also good. Desserts to choose from are ample in size and great in taster and presentation. It was a bit loud where we were seated and there was someone there also with a crying baby. The waiter was great, his support staff mediocre. Prices are between $25-35 for most entrees.

Nestled in the heart of Greenwich Village, Dante NYC is a historic café that has been captivating patrons since its inception in 1915. This iconic venue, now recognized as a landmark, offers an inviting atmosphere where both locals and visitors can unwind. With its extensive cocktail menu featuring innovative twists on classics—like an amaro-infused Old Fashioned or a mezcal-enhanced Pimm's Cup—Dante is a must-visit for cocktail enthusiasts.
Lovely spot. I recommend making a reservation in advance. I don’t normally recommend pasta dishes but they were really delicious with good textured noodles and bright sauces. The drinks were also good. I’m glad I tried one of the ‘fluffy cocktails’ but probably would get another cocktail in the future. The burger was good but not one of the strongest items on the menu.

Dante is a beautiful Italian restaurant with truly well-crafted dishes — definitely a spot worth trying. Even on a weekday evening, it was quite noisy inside, which made it a bit hard to have a relaxed conversation. A quick tip: instead of their famous martinis, I’d recommend trying one of their spritzes — they were more refreshing

Such a charming interior, we all felt very cozy and classy at the same time. The drink menu is extensive, I got the seasonal Pear Negroni and it was fantastic. The food was stellar too. Overall really enjoyed this meal and the staff - I can’t wait to return!!

Had a wonderful dinner at cafe dante. I recommend the burrata appetizer and ragu pappardelle for an entree. Had to wait a little bit for our seats at the bar, but absolutely worth the wait. I recommend making a reservation, if dining with a party of 3 or more. Eloy our bartender gave excellent service, and was so helpful and knowledgeable on the menu.

We booked in for our engagement meal. What an absolutely amazing gem of a place. The location was such a vibe, we sat outside for a more relaxed experience. Inside was definitely the more lively ambience if you are after that sort of evening; either way, it was a great place for date night. The food was excellent quality and designed to share, so have a few bits split so you can try more of their amazing menu. Drinks were always flowing and the cocktails were an absolute must 👌 Finally, the service was simply outstanding. We felt special from the level of attentiveness given. The team were warm and welcoming and pitched everything just right. Holly was faultless and we both thought she was exceptional at hosting. The celebration espresso martinis were a cute touch and really made the evening. Highly recommend this place for date night & groups of friends alike. I have nothing other than praise.

My husband and I were walking in the rain when we stumbled upon Dante Cafe and decided to step inside. We sat at the bar, and the whole experience was amazing. We had the anchovies, mussels, tagliatelle with pesto, and the dry-aged ribeye ! Everything was absolutely delicious. Electric Lemon is a trendy restaurant located on the 24th floor of Equinox Hotel in Hudson Yards. The chic rooftop terrace offers stunning views of the Hudson River and features its own herb garden, a reflective water feature, and impressive sculptures by artist Jaume Plensa. The menu focuses on veggie-forward dishes and crudos, with a wellness-centric approach to shareable plates and craft cocktails.
Great food. First time ever eating an entirely vegetarian meal and feeling satisfied. Drinks were good too. The main draw however is the ambiance including the fireplace inside as well as the outside terrace. Really top notch! Will definitely be back.

The ambiance and service were phenomenal. The view was gorgeous, and let's not forget the chić decor. We got mimosas, espresso martini, breakfast sammies, a burger, and crab cakes. The only thing I cared for was the amazing burger that was seasoned well and their crispy, double-coated fries. It was simply dressed but delicious.

I stopped by as a walk-in because I wanted to enjoy a rooftop. The interior was beautifully designed with a luxurious feel, and the sunset view was great. I ordered a glass of white wine, but it was a bit disappointing to see the pour was less than half for the price. Still, it’s a nice spot to come when you want to enjoy the atmosphere and the view.

We chose Electric Lemon for a recent birthday celebration and it proved to be the perfect choice for a special occasion. Located conveniently right next to The Vessel, the restaurant boasts absolutely beautiful views that provide a spectacular, high-style backdrop for dinner. The atmosphere is just as impressive as the location. The dining room is vibrant and busy, filled with a lively buzz that makes the whole evening feel energetic and celebratory. We didn't discover the outside courtyard area until after dinner. It is absolutely beautiful, it's like you're in your own world. While the ambiance and service were excellent, the true highlight was the incredibly creative and delicious food. We fully expected the main courses to be top-tier, and they were—the steaks and pork chops were excellent and perfectly cooked. However, the real surprise was how Electric Lemon managed to make the vegetable sides and appetizers taste so unique and delicious. This is where the kitchen's creativity truly shines. The food is refreshingly inventive. A standout example was the Summer Squash appetizer, which was absolutely delightful. It featured a captivating mix of textures and flavors, including crunchy hazelnuts, fresh sprouts, and some sort of unexpected, complimentary puree. The combination of ingredients was so thoughtful and well-executed; every bite was a testament to how complex and satisfying vegetable dishes can be. This trend followed through with all the sides we ordered. If you are looking for a dinner spot with beautiful views and an element of refreshing culinary surprise, Electric Lemon is it. It’s a truly unique, delicious, and memorable experience.

Electric Lemon is truly an outstanding restaurant. From the moment you arrive, the service stands out — the staff is professional, friendly, and speaks multiple languages, anticipating your needs with remarkable attention to detail. The atmosphere is calm, elegant, and perfect for couples, birthdays, special dates, or simply enjoying a meaningful evening with a breathtaking view. The food is exceptional — each dish is beautifully presented and perfectly balanced in flavor, texture, and creativity. You can truly feel the care and passion behind every plate. Electric Lemon deserves to be recognized among the best restaurants in New York City. A perfect place for anyone who appreciates fine dining, great service, and a peaceful yet sophisticated environment. Absolutely worth every visit.

Checked out the outdoor terrace area for a cocktail, burger and hamachi Friday after work to kick off the long weekend and was taken away by the amazing space and views. The burger was perfectly cooked medium just how it should be with cheesy goodness. The tequila cocktail was another standout, but it’s the decadence of the space itself that’s the true star. There was a bit of a breeze but so worth it.

Love electric lemon we come here for random occasions & important ones too! I think we have been around 6 times now since we have found it & I don’t think I’ve had a bad meal here. We love to switch up & get something different but I will always get their beef tartare 🥰

We arrived at Electric Lemon around 8:50 PM and were surprised to hear the rooftop closes at 10 PM—pretty early for a NYC rooftop, especially on a beautiful night. When we arrived, the host told us there were no outdoor tables available, but we were welcome to sit at the bar. Once we went out to the terrace, we noticed plenty of empty tables. Needless to say we were very unhappy with the hosts and how the situation was handled. Thankfully, a kind waitress ended up seating us outside, and we really enjoyed our time. The views are great, and the ambiance is lovely. Just left wondering why they didn’t let us sit from the start. It just seemed unnecessarily complicated. Still, glad it worked out in the end.

Cafe
Shane's Brooklyn is a small, laid-back cafe that serves creative American comfort food to locals. The cozy spot offers delicious hibiscus/sorrel beverages and red velvet waffles with chicken wings, which are cooked to perfection. While the waffles may taste more like chocolate than expected, the overall experience is enjoyable. The entrance may be a bit off-putting at first, but once inside, guests are greeted with a front dining area and led downstairs to another eating area.
Had this flavorful soul-food by being greedy at work. My coworker shared the grits with cheese with me and I enjoyed it all. They both were my favorite. The perfect amount of pure perfection with taste. I intend on heading here or ordering via delivery.
Shaquana L — Google review
A major shout out to whoever’s funk/disco mix that was. Grilled shrimp and grits were a 3/5: rubbery and overcooked shrimp, but decent buttery grits. I did request a side of seasoning, but that’s really more a reflection of how much i love old bay than the dish itself if we’re really getting down to it Cinnamon donut waffle was a 5/5: super sweet and exactly what it sounds like
Hilary H — Google review
Overall the place wasn’t bad, I came for girls brunch and the food was edible. The flavors are there for sure, but my food was overcooked. The chicken was very dry but the cinnamon waffle was delicious enough to get over the dryness. Loved my waiter, he was a joy. My friend very much enjoyed her grits. I tried to be generous with the atmosphere but the downstairs had no service, hated that.
Aneisha — Google review
Note that you can’t get seated until your whole party’s there (even a party of two). A reservation is recommended so you don’t have a long wait. The chicken and waffles are good but my chicken was fried a bit too long. Our Bellinis were nice and very sweet. My friend’s French toast was amazing and tasted good with some of my fried chicken too. I look forward to exploring more of the menu!

I came across Shane’s Brooklyn while searching for cafes in the area and decided to check it out for a casual Sunday lunch. The experience was honestly just confusing and uncomfortable. When I arrived, there was a bouncer??? standing at the door, which felt really out of place for what I assumed was a daytime café or brunch spot. The outdoor seating looked thrown together and kind of janky, and there didn’t seem to be any indoor seating at all. Or if there was it was hard to see because windows are DARK. I asked the bouncer if it was a cafe, and he responded with, “What are you here for? Takeout?” Before I could even finish explaining, someone behind him in the window chimed in to say, “It’s more of a brunch place.” But neither of them offered me a seat, a menu, or even a basic welcome. It felt very closed-off and uninviting. The whole vibe was weirdly hostile, especially for a brunch spot on a Sunday afternoon. I felt like I was bothering them just by showing up. If you're looking for a place to grab a relaxed bite or a coffee, I’d say skip this one. Even if you are in the mood for a slightly chaotic brunch on the sidewalk, the attitude alone makes it not worth it.
Yiyi Z — Google review
Decent, moderately spacious busy space. Got the fish and chips. Good taste, quantity was way too much. Their blackened salmon is actually good. Also got the red velvet waffle which was good. A good spot overall.
Bhakti D — Google review
Loved my brunch at Shane's. I had fried Fish and Cheese Grits and my date had Chicken and Cinnamon Sugar Waffles both were delicious! Wish they brought the Guava Mimosa back this Labor Day, but the Sorell Mimosas hit the spot as well. Atmosphere was nice, we sat in the side dining room. The service was fast and courteous and the music was on point!
Makeda D — Google review
I’ve done delivery meals and they were good, finally did dine in and it was okay. My fish was bigger in delivery it felt more like nuggets this time vs. the filet but taste was good. The server fixed it though and brought another piece of fish. Small having to go to basement but it’s NYC and rent is high so I get it! Will be back to support!

Friedman’s is a laid-back eatery offering upscale diner and deli fare in a rustic setting with outdoor seating. Despite being known for its gluten-filled menu, the restaurant has gained popularity for its extensive gluten-free options, with almost everything on the menu adaptable to those dietary needs. With six locations across New York City, it has become a go-to spot for locals seeking brunch or dinner. The welcoming atmosphere and attentive service add to the dining experience.
It doesn’t get much better than this place, it’s easily one of our favorites. Even though Friedman’s is a chain throughout the city, this is the best one. It’s got that classic NY diner feel with an upscale atmosphere. Plus, they have lots of gluten free options. I always get the tuna melt and tomato soup which go perfect together. The only complaint we have is fitting it all in our mouth!
Fat C — Google review
Stopped by for lunch an August weekend at 12:15pm. The restaurant was relatively full, but still a few tables and bar seats available and I could get a table immediately. That was nice since I was in a hurry. Ordered the (brunch special) summer chicken salad, which came out within 10 minutes, which again was much appreciated. To my pleasant surprise, it was so very nice. Fresh and delicious. The peaches and apples, especially the peaches, added a lovely sweet touch, but not overwhelming. I know it's a chicken salad but chicken played only a supporting role, for the fruits and vegetables (and goat cheese) were the stars. 5 ⭐ all around.
Giang N — Google review
We had such a great experience at Friedmans on 72nd. The food was excellent, but the thing that really stood out was the care around food allergies. Our server made a point to ask every single person at the table about allergies right at the start, and not in a rushed way. You could tell they were genuinely making sure everything would be safe. It’s rare to feel that level of attention when dining out, and it immediately put us at ease. The food itself was fantastic. We started with the fried green tomatoes topped with sprouts and a flavorful herb sauce, and they were crispy, tangy, and super fresh-tasting. The matzo ball soup was warm and comforting, with a light, fluffy matzo ball and plenty of chicken and vegetables. We also tried one of their cocktails with a candied bacon garnish — fun, smoky, and surprisingly balanced. For mains, the fish & chips was a standout. The batter was crisp without being greasy, and the fish tasted fresh. Fries were seasoned well and served piping hot. The turkey club sandwich was also really solid — hearty, well-stacked, and full of flavor without being heavy. Everything felt thoughtfully prepared. The atmosphere is cozy and relaxed, perfect for catching up or taking a break from the city. Service was friendly, attentive, and never rushed. And for anyone with dietary restrictions (especially gluten-free), this place is a true find. So many menu items can be made gluten-free, and they do it well — not just as an afterthought. Highly recommend if you’re in the area and want a place where you can enjoy a great meal and actually feel comfortable doing it.

Lovely place with some large selection of typical NY food. The service is quick and people are very friendly. We've been served by someone at the bar and she has been very nice. The place is cute and there are a good number of seats. The food was delicious.

I wish this local NYC chain would open a restaurant in Miami!!! If you want a delicious Reuben sandwich and do not want to wait in line at Katz's Delicatessen, then this is your place! We came in on a Saturday around lunch time and luckily we did not have to wait in line! The food, the atmosphere and the service were amazing! We ordered the Reuben, Matzo ball soup, and the pastrami hash. Everything was delicious! The pastrami was so juicy and tasty that I almost order a second sandwich! The potatoes in the pastrami hash were crunchy on the outside and soft in the inside. Everything was so delicious. We liked it so much that we ended up going to their other location on West End. The service was fantastic as well. We accidentally order the broccoli reuben (broccoli instead of pastrami) and our server changed the sandwich for the reuben without hesitation! She was constantly checking on us as well. If you are in NYC area, please do yourself a favor and go to Friedman's!

If you’re ready to be gluten-free and feel normal again, this is the place for you. The fried chicken was great, but I really went for the pastrami sandwich. It was absolutely delicious and the pastrami was exactly what you come to New York for!

Food was solid, but a bit on the pricier side. It was $11 I think for 5 yuca fries. Cobb salad was solid too. The drink I had wasn’t my thing but it was well made and as described. Atmosphere was a bit chaotic, they were taking deliveries in the restaurant during brunch.

NORMA’S is a high-end dining room located in the Parker Meridien Hotel, known for its breakfast and brunch specialties. The family-friendly bakery/cafe offers a variety of baked goods made from scratch in-house, including biscuits, Bundt cakes with various icing flavors, garden loafs, and banana muffins. The menu also features oven-baked, grilled, or cold sandwiches with homemade spreads that can be paired with the seasonal rotation of baked goods.
It is definitely pricey, BUT the plates are huge so great brunch for 2 is just: 1 main course and 1 portion for dessert. Don't take more - you will not make it:) Very intelligent and nice staff, delicious food and good coffee. Worth walking 15 minutes if you are in the area. Also, one of the few spots close to Central Park - and not over-crowded, which saves you time and mood in the morning :)

Bucket list menu items abound at Normas, the most high end diner ever. I went simple with the Papaya Mango Brown Butter Cinnamon crepes which is like a mango cobbler. So good. Portions are huge and reservations are a must, but absolutely worth a visit. Next time I want to come with a group so I can try everything. Note: their prices have increased substantially (and in some cases doubled) so be prepared to drop some coin.

Long wait. Good service and decor. Interesting menu with a lot of options. Extremely overpriced for what it is. Each plate is not less than $30. We ordered 4 meals which to my opinion were not consistent. The best...Crispy French Toast -outstanding. Norma’s egg Benedict average. White omelette average. Coffee is also average. You don’t have to pay this much money to have an great brunch in NYC.
Betilde G — Google review
Overpriced hotel restaurant in a fancy midtown hotel. The dishes sounded better than they tasted. My souffle pancake was served cold in the cast iron skillet. The souffle itself was flat and denser than I would have liked, and the orange embedded in the pancake left a bitter aftertaste. I must have been watching too much Great British Bake Off on Netflix because I expected a lot, and went away disappointed. Quite confused as to why the dining room was packed, and had a waiting list when we left. The one redeeming grace was the nice waiter we were served by. 1. Dutch Orange Soufflé Pancake (house made orange scented batter, sun ripened oranges, Devonshire cream and crushed candied walnuts served in a cast iron skillet) 2. Crunchy French Toast (covered with warm caramel sauce)

This place was pricey, but the food did not disappoint! Our table had a good representation of the menu between four of us. I had the breakfast quesadilla and it was INCREDIBLE! It was like an eclectic stoner with a culinary degree dreamt it up and put it on my plate.... actually that’s pretty much sums up their entire menu. Everything is gorgeously plated and equally delicious. Did I mention that was have bottomless fresh squeezed OJ?!
Natalie S — Google review
Massive breakfasts served here! Service was attentive and our breakfast was very good. I had their cheesecake stuffed French toast and my husband had the brisket and cornbread dish. The French toast was delicious, but very sweet. My husband really enjoyed his meal. I like their creative options and will be back to try more.
S K — Google review
3 stars for service, 4-5 for food. Being out of towners who are used to extraordinary environs and service when exposed to posh prices, we had higher expectations than what was served up. Service was initially quite slow and we waited nearly half an hour to get water glasses filled and when my husband expressed dissatisfaction with his mocha (which tasted to me also very much like a straight strong cappuccino rather than a mocha) was informed that this indeed was a mocha rather than a simple recognition that chocolate may have been lacking in the drink. The new mocha we got was good, though. The settings are simple, very diner style, and we received little guidance on taste profiles of dishes prior to ordering. The Artychokes dish was standout good, well worth the wait. Very tasty and Inventive with flavorful ingredients. The Berry brioche French toast was gorgeous but typical in terms of flavor and I would have preferred fresh berries this season rather than warm compote. Overall standard fare and experience intended for the very rich with prices that will keep out the Proletariat.

Executive chef Ashley Eddie has curated a menu featuring unique brunch items such as shrimp frittata and panettone French toast.
Fantastic meal is an understatement. One of the best meals I've ever had and I'm born and raised in Manhattan eating at my fare share of places. Gluten dairy and tree nut allergy and I was still in heaven. Thanks Santina!

Amazing food and amazing service! The dishes are quite small but still filling. We had the chickpea pancakes with tuna tartare, avocado tapenade and truffle eggs; the arugula and fig salad; shrimp zingara with grilled mushrooms and the chocolate ice cream cake. A filling and delicious meal! I especially love their colorful plates and decor.

Pretty and nice! I'd been curious about this place and finally got to come here! The fig salad was too salty for me but if you eat it with a piece of fig it gets mild. I honestly loved everything except of the prices. This place is really good but not out of the ordinary good, this is why I think that the price tag doesn't fit the value you get, but this is only my personal opinion. I had the chickpeas pancakes with the egg salad and a side of bacon, everything was yummy and fresh.

Santina is hands-down one of my new favorite restaurants in the Meatpacking District. Everything was amazing here from the decor, to the food, to the service. I rarely give out 5-star reviews, but this place is definitely worth it. For starters, i had the Lamb Meatballs and sampled their famous Squash Carpaccio. The lamb meatballs were delicious, however, they were very small (think: slightly bigger than Swedish meatballs); I definitely could have easily had two plates of the meatballs as a starter. I wasn’t a huge fan of the squash, I thought it was decent, but the other three people in my party raves about the dish. For my main, I had the Tortellini Sorrentina. The pesto and marinara sauce in the dish paired nicely together and brought out the flavors of the meal. Again, the size of the pasta was much smaller than I anticipated and I could have used a second dish. I ordered the Capri Sun cocktail and it was beyond amazing; it is one of the best cocktails I’ve ever had. The price point for the food was decent and everything was delectable. I would definitely return.

S&P Lunch, formerly known as Eisenbergs, has been taken over by the team behind Court Street Grocers and the HiHi Room. The menu features a wide variety of sandwiches, including classics like hamburgers. The restaurant offers an old-school Jewish deli experience with modern touches such as the option to swap meat for broccoli in your reuben. Visitors can expect counter-style seating and exceptional pastrami along with life-affirming matzo ball soup.
We waited about 10 to 15 minutes to be seated and the tables were a bit cramped, but the food came out really fast and was exactly what we expected, super tasty and filling. I also really liked the vibe of the place, it looks like an old school diner which makes the experience even nicer.

A classic diner spot! It’s a small restaurant but with classic eats done right. They are known for their tuna melt, and for good reason! The tuna was buttery and super smooth and the bread was delicious (and a little herbaceous!). The fries were ok. (I wish they were crispier on the outside.)

Arrived at this shop shortly before 2 pm, and I was the third in line for a “to-go” order. I ordered a pastrami sandwich and French fries and waited outside for my name to be called. It wasn’t even ten minutes before my name was called. I picked up a bag and walked briskly to my hotel room. The bread was soft and warm, and pastrami was so flavorful. The fries were crisp and warm…just like the way I like it. I would love to go back to try another sandwich and perhaps dine at the counter next time.

S&P Lunch has taken over the Eisenberg Sandwich Shop. Same location, same menu, same low key luncheonette ambience. The counter upfront with small dining room in the back. Friendly, quick service. An old school feeling diner with a simple menu of breakfast classics and sandwiches. I had a pretty solid western omelette, my friend said the turkey reuben was fantastic and we both loved the light and fluffy pancakes.

The sandwich I had here was the best I’ve eaten in New York. If I’d had more time, I would’ve definitely gotten one to go! The man with glasses who helped us was very friendly and made the experience pleasant. However, the manager’s attitude made us feel uncomfortable. From the moment we walked in, she saw us but didn’t say a single word or greeting. I thought that might just be her style, but she was warm and kind to everyone else except us. Even when we were leaving and she was standing by the cashier, she ignored us completely. Thinking back on it, I’m not sure the food was good enough to make up for that subtle feeling of discrimination. I hope she realizes that we can also see her expressions and attitude. Wishing her a good day.

Visiting from Ontario I needed to have a deli sandwich with the reuben being my go to. There was a lineup but it went fast and you got to see what others were ordering before you sat down. Pastrami reuben, onion rings, ginger ale, and a tuna melt for the wife. The pastrami melted in your mouth and the rye was perfectly toasted!! Overall a must visit on you trip to NY.

Hellbender is a new nighttime cafe that offers late-night bites on weekends. The cocktails are expertly made and innovative, with the Freezer Cold drinks being highly recommended. The menu has expanded, and now there's table service and outdoor seating available. It's an amazing addition to the neighborhood, offering well-executed dishes like Guac and Chips, Fried Fish Sandwich, Shrimp Cocktail, Mushroom Machete, and Churros for dessert.
First off, the churros are INCREDIBLE and I can’t say this enough. The whipped cream is salted a tad, which perfectly balances out the peach compote and sweetness of the churros. I love a salted whipped cream and have never found a restaurant to do it. 10/10. we got a seafood platter special app which was truly fantastic. The steak was also great especially with the charred peppers, we got tortillas on the side which was perfect. Mushroom tacos are a must and so is the fried Oaxaca cheese !!!! Really great experience and super friendly staff

Easily five stars, maybe even six 👀🤌 seriously delicious food. Like seriously, this is game changing. My friend and I started with Chamoy Pear dish, which was absolutely mouth-watering and zesty. Then we got the Baby Gem salad, which was an interesting New Age twist on a Caesar. THEN, omg, we got the lamb shoulder with some tortillas on the side. DAMN! That went crazy…. And the sauce… omfg. Soo fricking good. No notes, just so delicious. Service was excellent & we sat outside. Would have loved to have gone inside or tried dessert. There were so many other dishes on the menu that seemed really interesting as well, and unique flavor combos. Apparently there’s a real stuffed cheetah in there (allegedly). Can’t wait to go again!

Came here for brunch on a Sunday, had a reservation. Sat at the bar for a drink before we went to our table. Drinks were really good we had a few each, service was great. We ordered a few different things, the bloody Maria mignonette with the oysters was tasty and a little spicy. The pork tacos were incredible and of course we got the masa pancakes which were delicious but so filling. The jello of the day was a Concord grape jello with peanut butter drizzle and a homemade whipped cream which was really really good. Would love to come back here. And the bathrooms are huge!

To start off I wanted to love this place. My wife and I love trying Mexican restaurants. Very friendly staff and service was great. Now for the food thats another story. We ordered the fried oaxacan cheese and it was a little greasy but good. We also ordered the pork tacos I have to say the pork itself was bland but what they top the tacos with was delicious. For mains I ordered the chilaquiles which was not good. It was cold and had no flavor like it needed salt or something. My wife ordered the enfrijoladas and again was just bland missing those wonderful Mexican flavors. Overall it was a big disappointment food wise. Something me and my wife were excited about.

Hellbender is a standout spot with fantastic food and a great vibe. We tried the fried cheese, aguachile, mushroom tacos, and pork ribs al pastor—every dish was memorable, and I only wish we had room to explore more of the menu. As someone who loves meat and takes tacos seriously, I was especially blown away by the mushroom tacos—absolutely a must-try. Can’t wait to come back!

We sat by the bar, where our bartender recommended an amazing seafood appetizer special for the night; it blew our minds. We also ate the broccolini and steak and were amazed at the flavors of the dishes. The drinks and dessert, also recommended by our bartender, topped off the night. Treat yourself to an amazing meal with friends or family where you’ll be in for a memorable experience.

Ingas Bar is a stylish and recent addition to Brooklyn Heights, offering a comfortable dining room and bar. The menu features items like the Romance Language cocktail, fisherman's stew, and celery Victor with anchovy and parmesan. While some feel that portions are smaller than expected and prices slightly high, others rave about the exceptional food options from brunch to dinner. The burger is highly recommended, along with other favorites like mussels, swordfish salad, and peach salad.
Came across Inga’s walking around the neighborhood one evening and came back on a Tuesday night. It’s generally packed on the weekends, but took a chance and we were able to get a table. There was a wait soon after though. Everything was, simply, fantastic. The manager Edgar was incredibly kind and friendly and took special care of us. All of the food was incredible, with special shout outs to the mortadella and the chicken liver mousse (unfortunately this was gone too fast before I could get a picture). The cocktails were also delicious. Could not recommend this place enough. We can’t wait to come back!

Our third visit here, and the food and atmosphere never disappoint. With 4 of us coming, we make an early reservation (they had no tables from 6:30-9:30!). We were greeted warmly by the hostess and had a round of wines (nice selections by the glass). The tomato toast appetizer was a crisp and refreshing way to start off our meal. We ordered the halibut (tender, juicy, & flavorful over a bed of corn, kidney beans and tomatoes) and chicken schnitzel (surprisingly tender chicken - these are so easy to overcook!). Both dishes were fantastic! We finished with their homemade key lime pie, a favorite of ours, and I think the best in Brooklyn. Inga's Bar has become a wonderful local restaurant we have no trouble recommending or bringing good friends to. Well done!

Inga’s is the perfect middle ground between fine dining and a classic American bar. The decor is effortlessly cool with vintage prints lining the walls. The space is open, with a large dining room and a semi-secluded bar area towards the back. Tables in the dining room are quite cozy, so prepare to be close to your neighbors. Moody lighting and votive candles add to the intimate feel. The food is delicious, boasting unexpectedly complex flavors without being pretentious. We shared a bunch of small plates, two entrees, and a dessert (Beef Tartare, Fluke Crudo, Agnolotti, Duck Breast, Steak Au Poivre and Olive Oil Cake). The agnolotti with butternut squash and hazelnuts may be seasonal but if it is on the menu when you go, it’s a MUST. Literally to die for. Highly recommend Inga’s if you’re looking for a spot to grab dinner in Brooklyn Heights.

I enjoyed my brunch there. Very good burger and mortadella sandwich. The breads on both were tasty, too. The fries were crispy. The place is charming, but the tables are too close together.
Javier K — Google review
We were wowed by everything. If I’m gonna pay $15 for 2 slices of tomato on a piece of bread it better be fantastic. IT WAS FANTASTIC. Had the probably love cocktail, fire. My boyfriend had the rum old fashioned, fire. All the food we got the flavors were unique but not to the point of being unapproachable. I don’t know how they could’ve made it better. Also 10/10 ambiance.
Alexandra T — Google review
First time here and honestly came in with somewhat low expectations due to small bar style menu and reviews. I was so wrong. Ingas Bar has a unique menu with colorful new ingredients that aren’t typically seen in any restaurant. The ingredients are simply presented yet every dish is extremely balanced and well thought out. Server was very friendly and helpful. I felt noise level was fine (this is more bar environment with more traditional dining sitting next to it). The noise complaints are a little overstated as this restaurant is trying to set that type of vibe/interior/environment on purpose which I thoroughly enjoyed (from the type of plates, dish wear, and cutlery; pub like dining). This place is a 10/10 and I cannot recommend it enough!
Andrew C — Google review
Inga’s Bar does not serve bar food, really, despite the name and despite the cheeseburger on its menu — a very good and unpretentious one, on a soft toasted bun with white onions, crisp dill pickles, sweet bread-and-butter pickles and a stack of two pressed beef patties, each in its own shiny orange sheath of melted American cheese. You wouldn’t think it was out of place in the kind of tavern where mugs are kept in a freezer below the beer taps and the food is served in plastic baskets, unless you knew that the pickles are made on site. OK, the dark, from-scratch fries with freshly whisked mayonnaise might give the game away, too.
Waleed K — Google review
Local spot for us in the neighborhood, we used to go here when it was still Jack the Horse tavern. I feel like the new owners and chef are still trying to strike the right tone here. There is a lot to like. I think overall the portions are smaller than they should be, everything seems just slightly overpriced. However everything is good from the brunch food to the dinner food options. When they very first opened we went for dinner and were disappointed with the lack of menu options. But now they’ve added more options and it seems like there’s a lot more to choose from. I recommend the white gazpacho, the hamachi off of the current menu. Focaccia with ricotta was good especially if you pile the pickled fruit on top with the cheese altogether, but I think its an overpriced dish. We definitely will keep coming here and seeing how the menu options change with time. The bar is my favorite part of the restaurant just with how classic it feels although the barstools could be more comfy for sure.

Nestled in the vibrant neighborhood of Red Hook, Brooklyn, Pitt's is a culinary gem that offers comfort food with delightful twists. This restaurant captures the essence of a trendy Soho eatery while serving up dishes that are anything but ordinary. Diners rave about their unique gouda cheese spread and adventurous oysters served on sourdough toast topped with bone marrow spread. The menu boasts an eclectic mix, making it both exciting and challenging to create a cohesive dining experience.
Had a fantastic Sunday dinner at Pitt’s. Atmosphere and service were on point. Our servers were very knowledgeable of the menu and friendly. The food was incredible, everything we ordered was delicious! We were a group of four, so got to try a good portion of the menu. The soufflé is a must. Highly recommend: Bison tartar Wings Pork chops Lamb Suffle Sundae

Love love love. I just had my birthday dinner here and our waitress was absolutely so sweet. She really made sure we were taken care of and was the absolute best. I will be coming back PS - the soufflé is going to haunt my dreams. It was so good.

We had the best experience at Pitt’s. Food and drinks were amazing and super warm service! We loved how they had solutions for wobbly tables! Will 100% come back here to try more things on the menu.

Mostly leaving this review to say they fixed their service issue and the place is really great! Would recommend for date night. Fun environment! We ordered this confetti salad. Heaven- like radicchio with random veggies and amazing dressing Wings- the seasoning was insane. Like so original Tartar was HEAVEN. Tasted expensive lol We shared the lamb and it came with a Caesar salad (the same at agis counter- The seasoning is 💣) Insane fries and the meat was dressed with these herby butter sauce. The soufflé was just fun. Not the best dessert of my life but def happy we ordered it. The presentation was sweet and it was a nice way to end the meal. Overall 10/10 experiences

Always heard great things about this place and had to check it out myself. The vibe is great like French old countryside. The food is really good although the prices are a bit high.

Exquisite. Ben Hopkins - who runs the drink program, has created an unbelievable cocktail & drink program - there really is something for everyone including great N/A options. I’d say it’s worth it just for drinks alone, however, the food was also UNREAL. A celebration of low country cooking reimagined, with the nostalgia of a French bistro, with flavors and spices from around the world. Our server Jodi was not only excellent and attentive, she was fun, and spoke about the food like a chef. Even helped us course our meal so certain flavors wouldn’t mix. It was above and beyond. 5 stars. 10 stars. Just excellent. Go to Pitt’s. And thank you Ben!

Diner
Champs Diner is a beloved spot in New York City, especially among vegans. The diner offers a nostalgic atmosphere and serves up classic American dishes with a vegan twist. From cookie dough pancakes to lobster roll sandwiches and lemon meringue pie milkshakes, the menu is extensive and diverse. The restaurant's 50s-style decor adds to its charm, making it a great place for casual dining.
Champ's might have the best vegan comfort food in the country. I've been to multiple vegan friendly cities and this is one of my all time favorite spots to go. The Reuben, Cubano, and Cheesesteak are all really freakin good (Reuben is my favorite sandwich ever). Also try a pancake for dessert (cinnamon swirl and cookie dough are both awesome). Edit 1: The crab cakes are also delicious. Edit 2: I still love champ's but Ben & Esther's Deli in Portland makes the best vegan Reuben in the land.

Amazing restaurant, took my husband and friend who ate not vegan and they loved it. Philly cheesesteak was the best thing we had along with the jalapeño poppers. Tots were good too, I had the enchilada burrito which was good but not a big fan of the egg taste but still was good. Incredible find, definitely going back to tried all the menu
Alexandra A — Google review
The food is flavorful and amazing. I am not vegan and everything tasted normal to me. The was delicious and there was not any compromise in the taste. This place was an awesome find and I would definitely come back if I am in the area. The line can get pretty long so I would suggest getting there early. The staff was super friendly and accommodating.

Tried this place on a whim for breakfast and it did not disappoint! We tried the chicken and waffle, the waffle was delicious, the chicken was good as well just a little dry. We also tried the breakfast slam which was our favourite. The French toast was really good. Overall we will definitely be coming back to try more, great vegan spot!

CHEESE STICKS are the best. I also had the spicy grilled chicken sandwich with bacon and avocado. On a sesame seed bun. Which came with a side of fries. A single pastry on the side soft and delicious. Thank you M and JACKIE. Good customer service. Nice seating area. There isn’t room if you’re waiting for a seat or for a take out order this place is very busy. Good thing there is a covered waiting area outside, but that isn’t that big. The restroom is very small, but the walls r creative.

After a hunger-inducibgly long wait to get a table we were rewarded with some amazingly solid veganized breakfast foods, junk foods, and health foods. We tried a bit of it all and loved everything. Mozzarella sticks and "wings" started us off followed by delicious healthy bowls and some "eggs" Benedict. Topping it off with some milkshakes we waddled away extremely happy. Can't wait to get back here!
Jason H — Google review
I visited on a Saturday afternoon for lunch and waited a little over an hour, which is just over what the lady working the seats warned me. There is limited seating outside but they offer ice cold water while you wait. Upon checking in, they'll get your name, party number, and phone number so they can text you when your table is ready. There is an app you can download to view your place in line, but it's not necessary. Once seating, the waiter quickly and politely handed out menus and asked for starters. The wait for food was reasonable and my order tasted great. The spinach artichoke dip tasted amazing and I was offered extra crostinis at no additional charge. The birthday cake shake tasted amazing and was so fulfilling I couldn't even finish it. The bathroom is unisex and very tiny, but kept clean. Overall a great visit, I'd definitely stop by again and wait an hour if I had to.

Had the fried cauliflower appetizer and the Benedict. Both are a delight. I got pretty full and had to take the rest to go. The menu has changed a bit since the last time went and that was several years ago. Some items are no long on their online menu. Like they’re Buffalo seitan wings and the tater tots…. I’m hoping that’s temporary.

It's known for its simple and comfortable atmosphere, making it a favorite among locals and visitors alike. Customers have praised the delicious breakfast items such as perfectly poached eggs, crispy bacon, and flavorful home fries. The diner's friendly vibe, attentive service, and cozy seating options have also been highlighted in reviews.
Went for lunch after walking through Brooklyn bridge. What a delight! Cozy American dinner decor, The services is fast, friendly and comfortable. The menu is HUGE! See photo, so hard to choose from many selections! We end up ordered omelette and Mexican chips avocado dipping. It is pricy chip but the best I had. Highly recommend! We also had cheese cake for desert, original flavour, the serving size is huge.

A true diner. Everything made from frozen products, nothing is fresh. Our lemonade was watered down, the Buffalo burger had a terrible taste i had to drown with veggies, the home fries looked like the chef had no desire to cook them, neither were the bland eggs that taste like they came from a bag and not from cracked eggs and french toast were bland as well. If we weren't in a rush and so hungry we would of never continued to eat here. Never again. Only good thing is the waiter for the service.

I ordered a Triple Decker tuna sandwich which actually was a double decker with lettuce & tomatoes on both ends which I brought to the Manager's attention but he didn't care. The ice cream with my apple pie ala mode was half ice. They also charge an extra fee & none of the food is really tasty at all!

Very pleased with our lunch. Delicious turkey club sandwich and good burgers. Staff was friendly and cheerful. This is an older full service restaurant, but was very clean and bright.

We came here after a visit to the Tabernacle next door. The food and coffee was great in this classic American diner. I recommend the eggs, bacon and fries for breakfast. Eggs were perfectly poached and the bacon crispy and delicious. They got a bit confused with an order and we ended up paying extra for a side instead of having it as one of the options on the plate so make sure you are clear about what's been ordered. Apart from that, I can't fault it. Loved the nice, warm, friendly vibe. If I lived locally, I'd be there all the time.

I been walking pass for few years. I decided to treat myself in a new place. Greet you at the door respectful. Waitress was great, food was very good, Seltzer with lemon slices, (Philly-Cheese steak, with french fries & 2 pickles). Talked to some nice customers also.

Yummy Florentine omelette, home fries, rye bread, and bottomless coffee. I liked the big windows and comfy seats/tables/booths. Service was good (attentive with the refills!) except when they tried charging me $8 for a kids pancakes which I didn’t order/get/eat. In fairness, this may have been an honest mistake and they did fix it without issue. But still, good idea (especially for tourists) to read the check here.

Kellogg’s Diner has been a beloved staple in Williamsburg since 1928, and it continues to charm locals and visitors alike with its classic diner vibe. This iconic eatery, easily spotted by its vibrant neon lights, serves up delicious diner fare around the clock. After a recent redesign that introduced warm lighting and a more soothing color palette, Kellogg's remains an inviting spot for late-night cravings or casual meals any time of day.
Really enjoyed my experience at Kellogg’s Diner. Delicious and simple Tex Mex inspired diner fare at good prices. I think their reviews carried over from before the renovation, as the restaurant was packed and every plate we got was delicious. Recommend for a good bite In Williamsburg. The migas was delicious, same with the short rib hash.

This was such a great move. I got the masa pancakes and they were delicious. my girlfriend got two eggs (scrambled) and they were also top notch. bonus was they give you my favorite hot sauce! (valentina) i was delighted they played some of my favorite classic rock songs like crazy train, creep, and bohemian rhapsody. i mean cmon how awesome is that. they also gave us free little cups of orange juice. this place initially felt over priced but i guess thats just the times. plus its new york so i mean isnt everything expensive here? the only negative thing is the syrup bottles. as you can see from my attached video they drip down the side of the bottle when you open it so you have to watch out because its a little unpredictable. but isnt life unpredictable sometimes? i know mine is. the waiter was incredibly nice. amazing service.

Growing up in this area I’ve spent years going to this diner, my family and I spent so much time here. Going into my 20s I also learn it’s a great spot to end your Friday/Saturday night, seeing as they’re 24 hours, I’d also recommend it for a Sunday recovery after a long weekend. They’ve made so many changes over the years and there recent renovations bring a new aesthetic but still staying true to their original vibe. It’s a neighborhood go to and I genuinely love it here.

I'm giving this spot 3.5 stars. It was a mixed bag with some true "hits" and a few "misses." Our service got off to a rough start. After being seated, we waited a solid ten minutes before a waiter finally came over. When we did try to order, there was some confusion—our waiter repeatedly asked about an appetizer despite us saying no. However, once we finally ordered our main courses, the food came out quickly. The Hits (Must-Try Dishes) Guajillo Braised Short Rib Hash: Fantastic! This was the star of the meal. It had a wonderful depth of flavor—savory with a hint of smokiness and a hint of heat. The potatoes were cooked perfectly (even the skin-on ones, which I usually avoid), and the short rib itself was perfectly tender. My only minor complaint is that there was too much gristle on the short rib. The eggs on top were over-hard (I wish they'd asked my preference), but still good. I would absolutely order this again. The Veggie Burger: A complete hit with everyone at the table. It was moist, flavorful, and had a great, homemade texture. The fries served with it were on point. Definitely a must-get. The Misses Chicken Fried Steak: This dish was interesting—it had a nice crust, flavorful gravy, good mashed potatoes, and green beans. Unfortunately, the steak itself was really dry and tough. It completely slid out of the crust and was very difficult to cut. The Patty Melt: This was just decent. Final Thoughts on Service and Atmosphere The service was not great overall. We waited a long time after the meal and eventually had to flag down our waiter just to get the bill. On the bright side, the restaurant was clean, had a kind of old-school vibe, and the prices were not bad for NY. I would go again just for the Short Rib Hash

They hit me on the spot. They serve good food as a diner, the server was kind and friendly, prices were reasonable. Chill vibes for families, couples and solo visitors. 🦐Shrimp & grits might not be best of the best but good enough with big and fresh shrimps on it. Taste was flavorful but not too intense. 🍫🍪🍦ice cream sandwich was fire! Rich chocolate with crunchy hazelnut around. Highly recommende!!

Every time I come to Kellogg’s, I’m hoping it’ll redeem itself and I keep leaving feeling “eh.” The decor is beautiful and I’m glad there’s a place open late night. The times I’ve come, the food has been mostly okay, but the service tonight was subpar. I dined solo tonight around midnight on a weekday, and while the restaurant was pretty empty, it took a long time for the server to come back and check on me. I had to do the “turn around and look for the server” move a few times, and while someone who I assume is a floor manager came and cleared my table, it still took some time for my main server to come. Food was fine, but I want more from this place.
Chloe R — Google review
Average food in a well designed place. If you’re from the Tristate area, you’ll be disappointed. If you’re not, you’ll think this diner is “amazing.” We got the burger + fries, cortado, and the ricotta pancakes with blueberries. Everything is just fine, mediocre, middle of the road etc. the burger patty was missing salt (!) but the bun was good, fries were overbaked, cortado was good, but the ricotta pancakes were a huge letdown despite the reviews. For the price point and location, you’d expect more, but it’s just fine. You’ll probably come back. It’s just ok.
Justin M — Google review
First time since the new ownership and can attest that the rumors are true: this spot is good! We got the Cubano sandwich, which came with a lentil/chorizo soup (the soup of the day), and the veggie enchilada. Both were great. This cubano may actually be one of my favorite sandwiches in the city. I’ve lived here for 8 years and lived in Williamsburg for 3 of those so have had lots of good eats. Kudos to the chefs and the whole team!
