Coffee shop
SEY Coffee is a modern micro roastery located at 18 Grattan Street, Brooklyn, NY. It offers a relaxed atmosphere with hanging plants and a skylight, making it a popular spot for enjoying micro-lot coffee in a trendy setting. Since its establishment in 2010, SEY has gained recognition for sourcing top-quality nano-lot and micro-lot coffee beans from Colombia and Ethiopia.
It's a cute little coffee shop! I love the aesthetic with all of the plants and open area. They didn't over-crowd the shop with seating and tables, which I appreciated. The coffee was great, and they had a non-dairy choice on the counter for me to use, which I'm glad is more and more of a thing as I am lactose-intolerant.
Khoa N — Google review
A beautiful and thoughtfully designed space that feels very comfortable. The café has clearly designated areas: some where laptop use is not allowed, and others where it’s allowed for up to 2 hours. It’s a great balance—perfect for both working and chatting with friends. No wonder it’s such a popular spot! Every order provides a cup of sparkling water 👍🏻
Valencia L — Google review
Sey is the kind of coffee café that makes you rethink what coffee can be. Tucked away in Bushwick lies coffee lovers paradise! The space is airy, minimal, and filled with natural light—basically a sanctuary for coffee purists. There are no gimmicks, it’s all about highlighting the beans and their origins with precision. Sey is a great spot if you want to slow down. The vibe is calm, almost gallery-like, with greenery softening the industrial setting. The baristas know their craft inside out and are always happy to walk you through the tasting notes like you’re about to embark on a tiny flavor journey. The staff are all super great, love their vibes! My pour-over was Ethiopian coffee. Never in my life have a tasted Ethiopian coffee bean. Sey is not your average cup of coffee, it’s an experience. Bottom line: Sey is a temple for serious coffee lovers, and once you’ve tasted their beans, it’s hard to go back to regular drip.
World V — Google review
Sey Coffee in Bushwick just raised the bar for my New York coffee runs. I came in chasing a true light roast and landed on their Colombian Pink Bourbon flat white…fruity notes that stayed bright from first sip to last. The baristas kept the milk cool and silky, letting the fruit pop exactly the way a light roast should. The café itself is a sun-drenched, laptop-free loft where conversation and roast aromas fill the air. Pastries cycle out of the kitchen all morning and looked dangerously good for “next time.” Behind the bar sits a low-profile Mavam espresso machine, hand-built in Seattle by longtime technician-turned-inventor Michael Myers—designed for precision shots and a clean countertop. No burnt notes here, just dial-in perfection. What really sold me was the team: genuinely kind, eager to talk tasting notes, and quick with a sparkling-water sidecar. With only light roasts on the grinders, tons of natural light, and baristas who treat every cup like a calibration session, Sey is a must-visit for anyone serious about coffee. Five stars…I’ll be back soon.
Maryam — Google review
Pretty good chai latte. Like it’s a no frills more serious dirty chai lol. But the vibe is cute inside. They don’t allow tips omg! So that’s kinda cool they pay their baristas well. Baristas are very nice and the service is quick! The only place u can use ur laptop is at the bar in the back that’s kinda not that cute. I totally get it, but little annoying when it’s really full and everyone is jammed into that one little area. Otherwise very nice place. ❤️
Cana — Google review
Great coffee. Probably the best coffee in the city. Loved the environment in the shop and how quiet it is. Perfect for a conversation or reflection. Would 100% come back!
Elijah H — Google review
Bright, floral, and super chill vibe. Drip coffee was great, chai latte was good, chocolate croissant wasn’t fresh but still hit the spot. Cinnamon roll was amazing, and the blood orange cake was my favorite.
Lucas — Google review
My wife and I tried their flat white, and we both really liked it. The shot had great clarity, though it lacked a bit of body or mouthfeel. I’m guessing they’re using a grinder with flat burrs, which tends to emphasize clarity over richness. So if you’re someone who prefers syrupy, full-bodied espresso, it might come across as a bit light. That said, the shot was very balanced with a pleasant acidity. We also totally loved the atmosphere inside—warm and inviting. Bottom line: Not the best flat white I’ve had in my life but a really good cup of coffee.

Coffee shop
Variety Coffee Roasters is a beloved name in New York City's coffee landscape, boasting multiple locations across Brooklyn, including Bushwick, Greenpoint, and Williamsburg. Each café has its own unique vibe—whether you're people-watching on the iconic bench at Graham Avenue or seeking a quiet nook on Driggs Avenue for some solitude. The spacious Bushwick location serves as their roasting hub and is perfect for groups or remote work sessions.
At the heart of New York City, it is an amazing cafe with great taste. Amazing vibe inside with cozy atmosphere with comfortable couches. It is not very noisy and great taste of music too! Coffee price is amazingly cheap starting at 3$ Enjoy the best coffee NYC has to offer!
Jawad A — Google review
Decent coffee spot in Chelsea. The interior of the shop is spacious, clean, and has lots of seating for you to get your work done at or catch up with friends/coworkers/etc. Service is nice. I just got a simple black coffee and it was pretty decent. The only problem that I had was that their menu on the wall wasn't up to date and my coffee ended up being more expensive than I thought (not a big deal, but I just wish that they had accurate prices).
Mia H — Google review
Stopped by to grab a cup of coffee. It’s a cute cafe and lots of tables to sit and relax. I ordered an iced americano with an extra shot, which was pretty strong but liked the taste of it (not bitter at all). It was a bit confusing on where to stand to order or where to line up. They did have various pastries available but didn’t get any this time. The staffs can be a bit more friendlier when taking the order. Otherwise, a decent place to grab a coffee.
Nicole K — Google review
Old school coffee vibes with prices to match. I can’t believe we walked away with $4 iced lattes in NYC that were actually good. The place was packed and full of people working, meeting, and getting to-go coffees. We bought a bag of espresso to go.
George D — Google review
Great ambience and space for studying, working, or meeting up with a friend. We ordered their latte which had a robust, deep flavor without any syrups which was great. They also have a variety of pastries, baked goods and memorabilia to purchase like mugs, coffee beans, and tea.
Langston — Google review
This is a great place to stop in for a tasty treat, quick recharge, to sit for a date or to catch up on work. My favorite drink so far was a dirty chai latte made by Kennedy who was so friendly! Their cookies are always fresh and delicious. This spot gets busy, so I'm surprised that the small staff manages to keep up the demand. Keep up the great work!
Gineiris G — Google review
Busy spot for coffee and baked goods. I got lucky and was able to find a spot to sit down and do a little bit of work. There is reliable wifi and a restroom.
Khoi P — Google review
Small cafe that seems to be a popular work spot. They serve coffee, espresso-based drinks, and pastries. The drip blend they had was Honduras. The coffee was extremely nutty with a smooth aftertaste. Also a very blunt flavor over your tongue rather than a distinct, sharper flavor. Enjoyable blend.

Cafe
City of Saints Coffee Roasters is a hidden gem with locations in Williamsburg and the East Village. They offer unique flavors like matcha and lavender agave lattes, along with exceptional cold brew. The Bushwick location embraces the neighborhood's vibrant art scene, while the Williamsburg roastery offers a spacious warehouse-style setting. It's known for its fresh and tasteful coffee, brewed just feet away from where it's served.
This spacious warehouse-style coffee roastery is located at the far outskirt of Williamsburg, inviting those who live nearby and who are passionate enough to come all the way to the east. Amazing coffee, great service, light-speed wifi are guaranteed.
Kyuwon L — Google review
It doesn’t get more brooklyn than this. Fresh coffee sold from the source. They brew and box their coffee feet from where you sit down to drink it. I am personally not a fan of the coffee, but many people love it. They could use more pastries and a better selection of sweeteners and milk.
Chris H — Google review
Great place just on the border of Bushwick and east Williamsburg. Super fresh and tasteful coffee. Roasters and cafe all together.
Sergii S — Google review
One of the most authentic coffee places in town. Messerole street itself is a piece of art. City of Saints really blended in well with that vibe. Roastery/ bar combined with amazing coffee. Definitely a must go
Jort D — Google review
Given it a 5 for the wall art and general coolness, but note it does not have a bathroom.
Stephen M — Google review
Awesome Coffee. Great Desserts. Comfortable environment. Excellent service. And the nicest, friendliest Baristas you could ever meet, they put love into their drinks and make it look like art and taste great. Worth the money.
Raul M — Google review
Parking is very difficult in this neighborhood, but the battle is worth the fight. These guys are committed to the craft of coffee roasting and preparation. Their espresso pulls are on point, and their roasting is excellent. They have a variety of special blends as well as single origins and small lots. The venue is a bit of a warehouse conversion, funky and comfortable with adequate space to chill, enjoy and even get some work done if that's your thing. The staff is knowledgeable and helpful.

Brooklyn Roasting Company is a modern café with multiple locations in Brooklyn, including at 25 Jay Street, 200 Flushing Avenue, and others. They are dedicated to roasting organic, fair trade beans from various countries and ensuring a living wage for farmers. The staff is knowledgeable about coffee and the company's roasting heritage. True coffee enthusiasts can visit their espresso lab and roasting headquarters near the Manhattan Bridge for an inside look at the production process.
I love this place, between the vintage espresso machine and the amazing baristas, this is the prime example for Brooklyn's aesthetic.
Siber F — Google review
Don’t let the size of this location fool you. It’s still cozy and inviting the second you walk in. The service is so good. All the smiles.

Great place, beautifully decorated. Coffee is very good (Japanese roast drip coffee!). Great variety of breakfast options: croissant, pain au chocolat, overnight oats (!), chia matcha pudding, sandwiches. Friendly staff as well!
Kuno B — Google review
It is a good place to rest since not much along the long street. The place is spacious and it offers a decent selection of coffee products. Only one person was staffed befond the counter, and you may have to wait a while when it gets a few customers. They get their bakery stuff from Unregular Bakery, which is a good choice!
Libinski 0 — Google review
Great place to enjoy a morning in the Navy Yard. They sell freshly roasted 12 oz beans for $18 in an adorable tin and then you can bring back the tin for a refill for $15. Plus each time you get a free drip 🌿☕️ it’s awesome!
Kayli — Google review
A "Go To" shop for coffee beans, nice selections and friendly staff with reasonable pricing! Love the "refill" idea for the beans and have been enjoying the varieties as I go on... I've found at least two roasts that I want to keep on hand, from now on!
OmR S — Google review
By far the best coffee shop on Metropolitan. And there’s a few! Quality beans. Chill consistent baristas, and there used to be great live latin music shows on Sunday’s.
Cori S — Google review
Really worth a visit despite not near to any subway station. The latte was creamy, rich and well made, and I am not exaggerating, and this is probably the best coffee place in Brooklyn. The staff were also nice and friendly.

Cafe
Partners Coffee, formerly known as Tobys, is a trendy artisanal coffee shop that offers a variety of espresso and tea options. They are known for their eye-catching packaging and source sustainably-farmed beans from Africa and Latin America. The Long Island City location even has a charming backyard for customers to enjoy their drinks. With multiple locations throughout the city, including West Village and Williamsburg, it's a great spot to grab a cup of coffee and pastry while enjoying the cozy atmosphere.
Ambiance: 5/5 Morning at Partners Coffee was calm, perfect for reading a book. The music wasn't too loud, and the windows provided great natural light. The seating was comfortable and welcoming. Customer Service: 3/5 The service was fine, nothing to complain about, but it wasn't exceptional. A little more warmth or attention could have made the experience stand out more. Quality of Drinks: 5/5 I tried the seasonal Orange Cardamom Latte, which tasted like a holiday chocolate orange--sweet but delicious. I've also had their cappuccinos and instant coffee before, and all of it was high-quality, great-tasting coffee. They really know how to do coffee here. Value for Money: 4/5 The two lattes came to $18 with tips, which is a bit steep. It's definitely on the pricier side, but for the quality and experience, I'd say it's worth it as a special treat. Overall Experience: 5/5 A solid 5-star experience overall. I'd definitely return to enjoy their drinks, especially the seasonal offerings. Highly recommend as a cozy spot to relax with great coffee!
Kamila N — Google review
Do not order chicken avocado sandwich from the kitchen menu. Dry as hell, hard to swallow 🥲. Can’t believe it’s recommended to me by one of the African American cashiers there. Coffee is great as usual, their burritos are really great. All kitchen orders seem to come with a bag of chips, which is great. Other service crew, especially barista, have been nothing but nice. Just the cashier didn’t really seem to care about giving a good attitude.
Ruby C — Google review
After a long run, Partners Coffee in LIC was the perfect stop. The iced vanilla lattes and pastries were delicious, and the service was quick. We loved relaxing on the outdoor patio—it's got a great vibe and is definitely a new go-to spot for us in the neighborhood.
Enzo T — Google review
Nice service and Delicious quad cortado!! And I am fussy ;) staff was sweet, service was efficient. The cookie we got was also decadent, shared amongst several of us (so much yummy chocolate in the large chocolate chip cookie). We got to go but the space was small in front but v high exposed ceilings (cool!) And a nice patio that is laptop free on the weekends.
Adriana L — Google review
Drinks are great and used to come here all the time. What is interesting though is the no laptop policy? Walked in and saw many people working on their iPads on the tables inside. Since there were signs that indicated a no laptop policy indoors, my partner and I walked to their (great) outdoor space in the back. It was one hour before closing and there were barely any people sitting in the outdoor patio. I have come here many times to work and have not been asked to put away my laptop. There is apparently a sign on the door that says there are also no laptops outside (which I missed); and given the circumstances, I thought (like many times before) that I could get some work done on the weekends here. I understand there is a no laptop policy to prevent people from taking up space inside; but why enforce the policy when it is so close to closing and the patio is not even half full? I’d be happy to stop using my laptop if the cafe was busy and we were genuinely preventing people from coming in, but enforcing it so strictly at this time (given the context) was a bit confusing to me. Moreover, the interaction I had with staff was a bit off putting, as the staff was a bit rude when telling us to get off our devices. As soon as customers were told this, everyone quickly left. Will likely not return to work.
Austin L — Google review
Nice coffee spot in the heart of LIC! We got the latte and iced vanilla latte, both of which I enjoyed quite a bit (feel like you can tell a lot about a cafe from their ability to deliver on simple drinks). Seating was a bit limited on a Sunday morning, but we were able to find one pretty easily. We were also able to get our drinks pretty quickly despite it being a busier day.
Zachary Z — Google review
One of the worst coffee shops I’ve ever been to. I had to wait way too long for my order, the staff were rude and unprofessional, and the atmosphere was terrible. The coffee itself was honestly the worst I’ve ever tasted — completely undrinkable. Definitely not recommended. I’ll never come back here again.

Coffee shop
Café Integral is a charming coffee haven located in the vibrant Nolita neighborhood of Manhattan. Since its inception in 2012, this cozy spot has been dedicated to serving high-quality Nicaraguan coffee, expertly brewed using methods like Japanese slow-drip and pour-over. The inviting atmosphere makes it an ideal retreat for shoppers or a perfect meeting place with friends.
A lovely coffee shop with a great selection of house roasted single origin beans. Tried out the daily brew during my visit and the drip coffee had a clear & juicy flavor that I found enjoyable. The space is cozy though the seating is on the more limited side.
Bill W — Google review
This coffee is awsome! My favourite in NY, really delicious. Also, what I find even more fantastic from Café Integral is that the make their own plant based milk!!! Almond, coconut... I have tried here the capuccino and the latte in coconut milk. I tried also the decaf coffee and is awsome too. Even more awsome: they allow laptops and have wifi!!!
Camila E — Google review
The pineapple and cheese pastry was absolutely delicious! I usually come here for their iced tea, but they also offer a great selection of coffee. The space is quite small, so seating can be limited, but Elizabeth Street Garden is just a short walk away and makes for a lovely spot to enjoy your morning coffee.
Isabella M — Google review
This is a small coffee shop. We came for our black drip coffee. It has a great taste. They have a few pastries, we didn’t try any. The barista was friendly.
Amy L — Google review
Stopped by Café Integral after picking up our rental car near LaGuardia Airport. It was a cozy pit stop on our way to our Airbnb. I ordered a cortadito, and my brother-in-law had the daily brew hot drink. Both coffees were flavorful and well-prepared, showcasing their Nicaraguan beans. We also tried the Brazilian cheese bread, which was a delightful first for me—warm, cheesy, and satisfying. The café itself is small with limited seating, making it ideal for a quick coffee break rather than a lengthy stay. Prices are on the higher side, and portions are modest, but the quality of the coffee makes up for it. Overall, a great spot for coffee enthusiasts looking to experience Nicaraguan brews in a charming setting. Would recommend for a quick, quality coffee stop.
Ankil S — Google review
I came here in the morning on a weekday to catch up with a coworker and it was cute. Their space is bright, clean, and there are tables and free wi-fi so you can get some work done here. Both my coworker and I got a pastry (a chocolate croissant and a ham croissant), and we also both got matchas. I thought the croissants were solid choices, but I wish they had more savory options. And, I thought that their matcha flavor wasn't very strong, so I was a bit disappointed. Overall, not a bad spot for catching up with friends or getting work done, but I thought that drinks were only okay.
Mia H — Google review
Cozy cafe on the border of Nolita and Chinatown. I ordered and simple drip coffee with milk. Delicious, and not overpriced. I also got the fig danish from Balthazar. Super yummy. Was able to sit and do some work on my laptop, as well as enjoy people walk by out front.

The coffee is dry milled in Bogota and quickly shipped to the USA for an unparalleled freshness that captures the essence of the Colombian countryside. At their industrial Grand Street location, visitors can witness roasters at work amidst a historic brick building with raw steel and glass doors.
A gem! You’ll love this place if you’re into coffee. No gimmicky sugary drinks — just straight great coffee. The place is stunning with a glass ceiling and green wall. The pastries were incredible as well — a rarety at cafes. The staff were very nice as well and offered me a small amount of drip to try!

Definitely great place to relax, remotely work and have a coffee. I love how the place is set up but it can be very hot if you sit under the glass roof. We had a chance to try their seasonal menu this summer: cold brew cola. I thought that it has weird flavor at first but turned out to like it at the end. It isn’t like your familiar cola but a spiced cold brew.

The line was long, but the coffee and croissants were worth the wait. The coffee was delicious and highly recommended. The customer service was exceptional and the line moved fairly quick. Although moving from this location, we will look for them wherever they move to.

I stopped by this café on a Saturday afternoon to meet two friends, and the place was absolutely buzzing. Even around 4:30–5 p.m., it was packed with people, which says a lot about how popular it is. They close around 6, so we only had about an hour and a half to hang out, but the vibe inside was lively, modern, and fun. I ordered an iced mocha, and it turned out to be one of the best mochas I’ve had in a long time — perfectly balanced, rich, and smooth. They also had a great selection of baked goods, though we didn’t get a chance to try any this time. Overall, it’s a super cool spot with great energy and even better coffee. Definitely worth a visit if you love good coffee and a lively café atmosphere.
Debisree R — Google review
Great design, excellent coffee, staff a bit intense, could be kinder when asked a simple question about a glass of water on a first visit. Everyone on laptops, wifi provided with receipt. A little strange if you just stop for a quick coffee.

This was our first time visiting Devoción, and while the space itself is trendy and modern, the experience left us with a bad impression. For context, when I try a place for the first time, I usually don’t tip upfront so I can keep the experience as unbiased as possible. When we walked in, the staff didn’t greet us with a smile or even a simple “welcome.” We ordered two lattes and one aromatic iced tea. The total came to $19.87, and I paid $20 in cash, telling them to keep the change. As I walked away, I overheard the woman at the counter mocking the “no change” part to her coworker in a snarky tone. Since we were celebrating my mom’s birthday, that moment really soured the visit. It also left us uneasy about the tea, since it was made after that interaction. On the positive side, the drinks themselves looked good — the lattes had nice designs and the tea presentation matched the $5.25 price. The service was quick, and they let us know the tea would take a few minutes, which was fine. But the way we were treated overshadowed everything else. Because of that, I wouldn’t come back or recommend this place. The drinks alone don’t make up for being treated poorly.

I love this cafe! Not only are the baristas super kind and knowledgeable but their hospitality is unmatched. They are skilled and friendly and quickly make your order despite super long lines. The lines move quickly. Something interesting I found out is that they roast their beans in house and it’s surrounded by glass so you can see the big roasting machine and all the beans. The only downside is there’s only 1 bathroom and the wait to go in is much longer than the wait to order. Other downside is since this place is so popular and busy (not really crowded, just busy) there are not enough seats. I think this is an easy fix as there is plenty of space. But it may also be a good way to keep the place feeling open and enjoyable to not have too many seats. But I think if they add more barstools to the bar seating area maybe it could help. There’s a big couch section in the center, then a half booth against the greenery wall, then maybe 5/6 small tables with 2-4 chairs per table. Some tables have umbrellas especially on sunny days. I love this cafe because it feels like a portal out of the hustle and bustle city vibe into a little escape. The temperature is nice, not too hot or cold despite outdoor weather. And the aesthetic is comfortable. The concrete brutalist factory style contrasting with the bright yellow accents and the lively greenery and big bright skylight make it a peaceful yet grounding space. I think this location is worth a visit but don’t expect to be able to sit or use the bathroom within a reasonable time frame. You’ll most likely have to wait around 15-20 minutes minimum for each. 30-40 on a high traffic day. One other thing to note is a lot of people come here to work on their laptops so they don’t move for a while which is why there’s not a lot of seats being rotated faster. I’ve seen regulars that are there every time I go and they get there before me and leave long after me even if I’ve been there a while. All in all, the cafe and products are a 10/10 Love the quality of the workers and food and drinks Love the atmosphere and aesthetics

Charming small local café—great spot for a quick stop if you’re in the area. Cozy atmosphere, good coffee, and friendly service!

Small little coffee shop, the barista was very nice. There isn't room inside to sit and they only have one bench outside for seating but there's an entire park on the other side of the street where there's plenty of seating. It's a very nice way to spend some time, if you have it. Just sit and relax with your drink and pastry. The park has shade from the tall beautiful trees that surround it and there are jungle gyms so if you have a little one, both of you will have something to do. I got the Honey Oat Latte with a blueberry scone. Both were delicious, definitely gave me the morning pick me up I needed to start my day.
Saul C — Google review
I asked for a honey oat latte without ice, so I ended up getting HALF a full-priced coffee. So people who get it with ice are getting coffees that are half ice? This is after I asked the barista which honey oat people prefer (hot or cold), and he treated me like I asked him for his mother’s bra size. Another reviewer put a red circle around this employee and identified him as providing really bad service. Agreed, he’s rude & condescending.

Coffee roasters
Parlor Coffee Roasters began in the backroom of a salon in Williamsburg, where they roasted coffee for customers. They have since expanded to their own store in the Brooklyn Navy Yard, featuring a tasting bar space and offering free public cuppings. Founded by Dillon Edwards in 2012, the company started with one espresso machine and has grown to supply hotels and restaurants throughout NYC.
A coffee roastery, a 4-hour tasting room and a piece of art. Not trendy or fancy, but very minimalism, straightforward and sincere. People there knows how to let the beans shine. They don’t only pour a nice latte art, but also carry a great conversation, from which I can feel their passion about coffee. 8oz square boxed beans is just the right amount for me. It is a little bit pricy than other roastery, however premium paid for the high quality, and it’s good to support small business!

My favorite coffee delivered to my door! I live in California but visit New York often. I first had this cup of coffee at Petee's Pies on Myrtle and loved it so much I signed up for a monthly subscription. Now I start my day with the best cup of coffee at home. I look forward to seeing whats in my box every month and I can say, I've never been disappointed. The exquisite subtle flavors are delicious and I'm so enjoying being able to add them to my morning ritual on the West coast.

Great coffee, filter and espresso. Ford at the bar is fun to talk to. No pretentiousness or elitism unlike many other roasteries in New York. Great experience.

My number 1, go to, local coffee roaster. Super fresh, the beans I usually pick up were either roasted that morning or 1-2 days before. The crew are super friendly and knowledgeable. Selections include coffee mostly from South America and Africa, with information about the independent farms and farmers readily available. Inside the tasting room they've cultivated a really relaxed and cozy vibe where you can see the coffee roasting process while enjoying a cup. Highly recommended for any coffee lovers or anyone passing through the neighborhood.

First time in here and have been purchasing their coffee from a local cafe. It was nice to go to the source. Found people to be super friendly and super knowledgeable! Walked away with a couple boxes of beans and had a couple cups while we were there. So cool to be able to enjoy the sights and sounds of a roaster while drinking the fruits of their labor.
David W — Google review
Heard about them online and decided to check it out! Unfortunately we didn't do enough research and hadn't realized that they're no longer open to public post-covid. The folks there were super friendly however, and directed us to Headfi across the road which did serve their coffee, albeit only as espressos. Still a lovely cup! The latte had a beautiful and delicate caramel and jam tone to it, and the cortado was like dark chocolates with stewed blackcurrant. Although some sites have them listed as an espresso roaster, they actually do omniroasts, which is great to know!

Coffee roasters
Coffee store
Nicoletti Coffee Roasters is a family-owned Italian coffee shop with over 50 years of experience in roasting beans. In addition to their in-house roasted beans, they also import coffee from Italy. Customers praise the freshness and quality of the 1972 Old School and Napoli espresso beans. The owner is known for prioritizing customer satisfaction over making quick sales, offering personalized recommendations based on brewing methods.
The coffee we make with the 1972 Old School roast is bar none; There is nothing that could be done to make for a better coffee. After trying beans from all over the boroughs we’ve concluded these to be the absolute best. Fantastic value for the price. Not to mention we feel extremely welcomed in the store and the owner makes an effort to get to know us. I’ll have to do better myself! Note: photo is a home made coffee using their beans. But I’m sure they’d make a better cup at the place!

Aldo was incredible and gave me the best fresh roasted coffee I’ve ever had. The Old school roast had just the right amount of robusta. Will make sure to come again! Important fact however! They do not sell coffee by the cup.
Arion S — Google review
I purchased and tried the 1972 Old School and Napoli espresso bean. Purchasing direct from the roaster they could not have been fresher with a roast date of 3/19, received on 3/24. Looks like I have found the beans I like for my espressos and cortados. Just good, dark smooth arabica and robust beans. I also purchased the original Espresso beans but haven't tried those yet. Can't imagine I won't enjoy those either! Priced right and ships fast. I'm a happy new customer
Bettina W — Google review
Part of me wants to be "angry" that Nicoletti has raised prices at least 4 times in the past 12 months. Obviously the economy is a talking point/big reason. Admittedly I've tried other fresh roast whole beans at lower price points only to come back to Nicoletti. Why? Well, for one, I have found some online vendors only claim to be fresh roast. It's so obvious the beans are not fresh and that some sellers are slapping a sticker on the bag. I end up wasting so many pulls trying to dial in a stale bean. In reality the Nicoletti Old School bean is in line with current prices. No tax, shipping included, and my setup pulls consistently perfect shots. That is a time AND money saver. Obviously taste is subjective, and you may not prefer Nicoletti's options, but if you do, rest assured that the beans are as fresh as the stamp on the bag. You can't put a price on consistency and honesty!
Kreative C — Google review
This review is for online ordering of their coffee: I am quite particular about my coffee. I love Neapolitan-style espresso, and have a hard time finding that style of roasting here in the States. It is a very easy style to screw up - aka overcharr the beans, too oily, too much robusto in the mix, etc. Not the case with Nicoletti. First of all - the ordering process is very easy. Order online, select the coffee you want and the bag size - they roast their in-house coffee before sending out your order! (versus what's sitting on the shelf). It is the freshest coffee I've had through the mail! The coffee itself - the Neapolitan roast - the best in America. Absolutely perfect, without being burnt or the beans too oily. You want high quality coffee? You cannot miss on Nicoletti!

I order their 1972 espresso beans online via Amazon. They’re an amazing roast and blend. Always keep coming back to it. Highly recommended.

Stumptown Coffee Roasters is a popular coffee bar chain known for its house-roasted direct-trade coffee, brewing gear, and whole beans. The nitro cold brew at their locations is highly recommended for an energy boost. The Greenwich Village and Cobble Hill spots are particularly favored for their bustling weekend vibe. Many have encountered Stumptown's roasts in various coffee shops, but the discovery of their own storefront in Manhattan has been a pleasant surprise to some.
This is hands down the best Stumptown out of the three in NYC. Sure, the other two may have better locations, but the baristas here truly know their craft—super knowledgeable, friendly, and consistent. Every cup I’ve had here has been flavorful and perfectly balanced. That’s why this is my favorite spot of the three.

Hey friends! This review is about sustainability only. By 2050, we will have more plastic in the ocean than fish. While I so appreciate that your shop offers real reusable mugs, I was saddened to see how unclear that option is for customers who are enjoying their coffee in-house. I wonder if there are ways you can better communicate the availability of reusables to folks who are buying coffee to stay here. Maybe that means putting a sign at the cash register, or maybe that means incorporating an explicit ask from your baristas. But it feels such a shame to see all of these coffees getting enjoyed in-house, and then see these cups get discarded right into the trash after 30 minutes of use, to head straight to a landfill, the oceans, or incinerator, and ultimately as micro plastics in our bodies. The plastic waste crisis will need both the consumer and the provider to help lessen its impact. Thank you for considering my note and for empowering New Yorkers to be better to our local ecosystem and our global ecosystem. To those reading this: you can get a mug at the shop by explicitly asking for one.

Ninth Street Espresso is a beloved coffee shop with locations in Manhattan and Brooklyn, known for its dedication to serving top-notch espresso drinks. Since its establishment in Alphabet City in 2001, it has been a pioneer in offering manual espresso coffee as its main focus. This petite café caters to purists by offering a simple menu of drip, iced, and espresso drinks.
Neighbourhood espresso bar with super nice warmth. You couldn’t tell it’s a local franchise. Very solid espresso! You can choose the amount of milk to pair with it. Hot chocolate is nice, not too sweet, a bit “under flavoured” if anything. They have baked goods procured from C&B (local bakery on 7th & Ave B). Laptop friendly. Although there were a ton of people working on their laptops, but a limited amount of tables (on a Saturday). Will definitely be back!

A little oasis of a cafe in the alphabet city. Very quiet. The best and biggest shortbbread cookie I’ve seen. Beautiful greenery filling the large glass windows. This is a place that makes you want to write a haiku - even if you’ve never written one before.

A cute little spot settled across from a garden. The area is full of trees and is super relaxing. I got the cappuccino which was great. Bring your book and relax out front. My favorite part about this spot is everything chats with each other. It feels like a place where neighbors convene. A true gem!

I love this little *just coffee* shop. The espresso is perfect, yes, perfect - mornings, afternoons and early evenings it’s perfect and the team consistently are kind, helpful, and timely. It’s quiet enough inside to think for a minute, maybe even read a bit, while enjoying your cup and they offer several dairy/non dairy options for “espresso with milk.” Your choices are: coffee or espresso, milk or no milk, ice, sugar, sweeteners, honey/agave. There are a few selective pastries- the shortbread looks beautiful but so far, I’ve just savored the espresso. Good to note - you pick the size cup. All options come with 2 shots of espresso. You cup size determines how much milk you want. Love this place so much.

I first knew Ninth Street when I visited their spot in Chelsea market. I was impressed by how consistent the barista performance was despite the tourist location. Since then I always try Ninth Street whenever I see one and each time the experience has been good. I like the subtle fruity and acidity in the espresso base, nice go solo or with milk. This is the original Ninth Street sitting in East village. There are two benches in front for outdoor seating. Sub-bathed, cozy and peaceful ambience.
Chia-Yi C — Google review
I had originally mentioned in my review that they no longer offer Wifi (previous reviews suggested they used to). It’s not a dealbreaker, but I think it’s a fairly common amenity and worth noting for those who are looking for it. The owner’s public response, however, was unexpectedly confrontational: "That you’d rate a coffee shop based on whether or not it offers wifi is ridiculous. We’re not a coworking space. Go to the library." Businesses can choose their atmosphere, but this kind of confrontational tone isn’t welcoming. Plenty of shops set boundaries without being dismissive, and Wifi can be useful for many reasons besides coworking. I prefer supporting cafes that are inclusive and communicate respectfully.
Stephen U — Google review
Coffee’s alright, solid, though the barista seemed a little clueless when I asked about what syrups they have (essentially just simple and chocolate sauce…). Worth flagging that there’s no WiFi, so don’t expect to do work here.

The fastest wifi in the area in my observation. There's lots of sunlight which is delightful and the tables are decent for any purposes. Great coffee guaranteed and delicious bakery goods as well. Nestled in the heart of Carroll Gardens, East One Coffee Roasters is a delightful destination for coffee aficionados and food lovers alike. This spacious café features both indoor and outdoor seating, making it an inviting spot to enjoy their expertly roasted coffee alongside a diverse menu that includes brunch favorites served all day. With options like sausage wraps, malted pancakes, and even a unique duck leg hash, East One elevates the typical café experience with its high-quality offerings.
This place is half coffee shop half cafe and everything is good. PANCAKES: light fluffy but they will fill you up served with Lingonberry compote, syrup and whipped butter. It was so good the gentleman next to me only ate like 2 bites and I was half compelled to cut that half off and and finish the rest. HOME FRIES: there moist and soft inside but somehow slightly crispy, would like a little more crispness. ROSEMARY LATTE: great to have iced or hot. AVOCADO TOAST: how can it be beat? BURGERS: I’m at a loss for words. BROOKLYN FRY UP: this place is just too good, only critique was the home fries weren’t crispy with this one.

Breakfast here was nice. Service a bit slow and not very attentive. Coffee was good! Avocado toast was plentiful and bacon was particularly well made! I think the avocado mash could do with less spices and seeds so that they don’t overpower the plate. Cute cozy spot for a quick bite on a weekend.

I love their decor and wanted to try their coffee for a while. Interior and exterior are both very cute. They seem to have the cutest brunch area as well. I only ordered a oatmilk cappuccino here so can’t speak for anything else. The cappuccino was okay - I didn’t like the after taste. My friends in the area did not love their coffee as well. The small oat cappuccino was $5.17. Their bakery smelled really good but I didn’t try it.

We were actually at the Eatery, which is just around the corner from the Roaster coffee shop. Excellent Cortado… especially the beautiful heart on top! If you want the typical American breakfast, order the brooklyn fry up. If you want something a bit different, order the caesar toast.

Set at the Eatery at East One coffee roasters and loved it. Their avocado toast with salmon and poached egg was very good. Also their burger was really incredibly juicy. I didn’t like the maple sage latte so next time I’ll avoid it. Service was super nice.

We ordered the malted pancakes, house cured salmon, asparagus frittata, and avocado toast, ranked in order of favorites. Will definitely order the malted pancakes when we come back for its perfect fluffiness and delicious pairing with the orange mascarpone on top. The citrus cured salmon was also unique, and particularly liked it with a dash of salt added to bring out all the flavors. The blueberry compote was also a standout for its flavor and not overly sweetness, and that says a lot from someone who does not normally like compote. Recommend their delicious coffee, and if you’re looking to try something different, get the espresso tonic for an interesting mix of flavors.

Service was nice, but not the fastest. The restaurant is in the back of the coffee shop, which transforms the experience from your typicall coffee shop to busy Sunday brunch. My order of avocado toast and chicken sausage was delicious and well portioned. The coffee was also well made, and tasted great. My partner's order was a bit off, she asked for oat milk and got almond milk and her breakfast board was as picturesque as it was underwhelming. Overall it was a bit mixed, but a solid breakfast spot in Brooklyn if you're looking for a decent brunch!

Located in the trendy DUMBO neighborhood of Brooklyn, % Arabica is a globally recognized coffee shop that originated in Kyoto, Japan. With its modern design and enormous half-dome windows offering stunning views of the iconic Brooklyn Bridge and lower Manhattan, it's no wonder this cafe is considered one of the most Instagrammable spots in Brooklyn. Known for its diverse coffee bean menu and freshly ground coffee, % Arabica offers an authentic coffee experience.
I was fortunate enough to visit the original % location in Kyoto, Japan. To have another taste of their coffee during my visit to NYC was such a highlight. The Kyoto Latte is one of my favorite lattes, ever. It is NOT overly sweetened, which I love, and you can truly taste the rich espresso as it is not overpowered by the milk. This location is also right next to the Brooklyn bridge so there isn’t a single bad view from wherever you sit in the shop. Service was great too.
Morgan R — Google review
Do yourself a favor — wake up a little earlier, start your walk around Manhattan Bridge, stroll peacefully along the waterfront, and treat yourself to a Kyoto latte to round out a perfect equation for a dopamine boost. The espresso quality was maybe the best I’ve ever had. One of the *extremely * rare coffee shops that is so good, you think “Nope, couldn’t ever achieve this at home” and feel justified spending $7 on a small cup of liquid. You can actually taste and appreciate the flavor profiles in their espresso — you can tell they’ve truly studied the science of this craft. Yep, this spot is worth it. But try to arrive right as they open to avoid lines.
Clara B — Google review
Coffee: We got the Spanish Late, Kyoto iced, and an Espresso. The espresso shot was great and had good flavor/eroma. The Spanish latte was a bit sweeter than the Kyoto but both tasted quite watered down unfortunately. I'm sure these would taste much better as hot coffees but for cold coffees, they would not be my go-to. Service: The service here is excellent and staff is very friendly. Atmosphere: Very open and spacious. They also have a great selection of the blends of beans they have (pre-roasted) and do it in store. Atmosphere here was great. Overall, I would maybe come back again but for their hot coffees only.
Matt L — Google review
Arabica hits different. The coffee’s amazing — you can taste the quality. The view of the Brooklyn Bridge from inside is insane, and the service is quick. Not sure if they do pour-overs, so I’ll have to come back and check (not complaining though 😄). Smooth, flavorful coffee — not your usual over-roasted NYC stuff.

I was in that neighborhood and saw this café, which I know is very popular, so I wanted to give it a try. Matcha is one of my fav drinks, I’ve tried many matcha lattes in cafés all over NY and in many places, they haven’t done it well. Here, I watched the barista make it, and he took his time to measure everything perfectly , not sloppy at all. The result was great :) !!! Perfectly balanced and creamy. *Plus, there are outdoor tables where you can see the gorgeous and romantic Brooklyn Bridge, I love it <3
Miss. G — Google review
Good coffee, nice view of the water scapes. Near a touristy area so you’ll see a lot of people there. The coffee is a nice balance between strong and mildly sweet (for the Kyoto Latte). I’ve been to their other branches as well in the city and the quality doesn’t disappoint! For a sweeter option I suggest the Spanish Latte and for mild Sweet I suggest Kyoto.
Kayla W — Google review
Arabica Brooklyn Bridge is one of the most photogenic coffee stops in NYC. Located right under the Manhattan Bridge in Dumbo, it’s surrounded by food carts, local vendors, and street musicians — perfect for a relaxed break or a photo walk. ☕ What I liked: • Their Spanish latte is smooth and slightly sweet. • Friendly baristas and clean, minimalist interior. 📷 Pro tip for travelers: If you’re into photography, come early in the morning to beat the crowd and get that iconic Manhattan Bridge background shot. The lighting is great around 8-10 AM. 🚇 How to get here: Take the F train to York Street and walk 5 mins. The area is busy on weekends, so weekdays are better for shooting.

Intelligentsia Coffee High Line Hotel Coffeebar is a sophisticated coffee haven that has been at the forefront of the third-wave coffee movement for over two decades. Located on the ground floor of the picturesque High Line Hotel, this charming spot offers expertly roasted brews sourced from small farms around the globe, allowing patrons to explore unique flavor profiles and even choose their preferred bean origins.
Small coffee located in the High Line hotel. The fun part is that you can sit inside or anywhere outside in the front or back areas, you won't run out of seating options. It's the perfect place especially for spring and summer.

A lovely spot located in the lobby of the iconic High Line Hotel. I tried one of their signature coffees and really enjoyed it. Both the garden area and the lobby have a beautiful atmosphere that makes it a great place to relax!

This coffee shop is a true hidden gem, tucked away in the High Line Hotel. It’s the perfect place to escape the city's hustle and bustle and find some peace and quiet, with plenty of seating both in the front and back of the hotel. Great place to read and get some work done The cappuccino was worth every penny. The beautiful latte art and the serene outdoor space will easily make us regulars. I’d give the croissants a pass Super dog friendly. Charcoal approved ☑️

Next up is Intelligentsia Coffee, tucked within the timeless High Line Hotel—a space that feels suspended between past and present. My friend and I stopped by for a quiet afternoon catch-up and to finish some work, drawn in by its calm atmosphere and old-world charm. The moment we entered, the scent of freshly roasted beans mingled with faint notes of wood and aged paper—a comforting aroma that immediately slowed the pace of the day. We ordered from their Single Origin Coffee Selections, specifically the Ethiopia Bishan Fugu Natural—a beautifully aromatic pour-over with delicate hints of raspberry, red grape, and hibiscus. It’s worth noting that their pour-overs are served hot only, as they don’t offer them iced, but the depth and warmth of the flavor easily made up for it. Alongside that, I had a flat white, perfectly textured and well-balanced, smooth without losing its coffee-forward clarity. The interior of the High Line Hotel is nothing short of captivating—dimly lit, with antique wood, aged leather seating, and the quiet hum of guests reading, typing, or conversing softly. It’s one of those rare spaces in Chelsea that feels almost hidden from the city—refined, timeless, and grounding. The outdoor courtyard, lined with ivy and shaded by trees, adds another layer of serenity for those looking to work or linger a little longer. While it does get busy, especially during peak hours, the setting never loses its sense of calm. The baristas were kind and attentive; though service was minimal, it felt genuine. Toward the end, they surprised us with complimentary sweets—a thoughtful touch that closed the visit on a warm note. Intelligentsia at the High Line Hotel isn’t just a café—it’s a pause from New York itself. Every element, from the coffee’s precision to the space’s quiet grandeur, invites you to slow down, reflect, and simply be.

Easily one of the most beautiful coffee shops I have ever been to. The location its at is surrounded by plants and has great outdoor seating arrangements. The baristas were accommodating with our requests and suggested us food to go with our coffees.

Decent coffee. Beautiful sitting areas both indoor and outside. Super kind staff. Wish there is a place like this in our neighborhood.

Being served espresso “for here” should never manifest itself in the form of a “to go” water cup. There were dozens of cups to serve an espresso but the workers are lazy and rather not clean another mug. Perhaps they are simply ignorant to the difference in taste a plastic cup yields versus a glazed ceramic mug.

Irving Farm Coffee Roasters has several locations in New York City, but the Millerton outpost is particularly noteworthy as it's situated near the company's roasting facility. This makes it a great spot to visit for locals and visitors alike. The cold brew coffee served here is not only strong but also smooth, making it a perfect choice as the weather warms up.
I ordered a cappuccino with almond milk and was pleasantly surprised with how flavorful and smooth it tasted! Probably the best cappuccino I’ve ever had and much better than I could’ve gotten at Starbucks. You could tell the coffee beans were definitely of high quality! The employees were extremely nice and enthusiastic as well! Will definitely be back!! :)

Coffee is great! Staff is friendly BUT staff nor kiosk when ordering asked if I wanted my bagel toasted. They just did it. Not my preference. Also NY bagels are big (and yummy) yet not enough cream cheese to cover both halves. So maybe update the kiosk to ask me if I want my bagel toasted or let me order from a human and more cream cheese would be nice.

I had an early Friday morning flight to attend a funeral and I got to LGA early to relax with a coffee. I walked around a bit in the area after immigration check and finally decided to get a coffee at Irving Farms. After a short wait, I got a decaf americano and it was made perfectly correctly. The terminal was not too busy this day so I easily found a chair and table to sit and enjoy the coffee. The staff at Irving were all very nice and professional.

Eh....the coffee was okay, kind of flat tasting. The muffin was the worst I've had in my life, ended up throwing most of it out. I'd maybe try this again if I got a hot sandwich instead or something.

Ladies working there were very nice despite all annoying costumer. They work with a smile! Which is pretty rare in a airport. My cappuccino was good. Thank you
Lidanys G — Google review
Don’t waste your time. They charged me $7 for a medium iced tea and it’s literally the size of an extra small.. service wasn’t great either. Tried to ask if the matcha powder was sweetened and the guy rolled his eyes and said “it’s made with skim, oat, almond…” I asked again if it’s sweetened and he said yes.
Brieana F — Google review
I ordered a latte and it was almost as foamy as a cappuccino. On top of that it was still extremely hot even after opening the lid and leaving it to cool down a bit. My tip for staff is to learn how to steam the milk since that seems to be the main issue. Can’t say much about the espresso taste since the drink is too hot to taste any flavour.
Natalie D — Google review
Had a muffin. Was almost $6. Didn't taste good, was very dry. I had to wait a few minutes while all attendants were cleaning then the said, do you have an order? I said no, confused. She pointed to a computer screen and i had to say oh, i enter my order on the computer? No customer service. It's not worth the money or poor customer service

Dayglow is a cafe chain that originated in Los Angeles and has since expanded to Chicago and New York City. The Los Angeles Times has praised their LA cafes, describing them as a haven for Nordic-style roasts. The Bushwick location offers an array of beans from around the world, all presented in vibrant packaging. Visitors have lauded the New York spot for its exceptional third wave coffee, particularly the cortados which are described as creamy, rich, and full of flavor with distinct espresso notes.
Overall rating: 4.7 Absolutely adorable spot in Bushwick. A bit of a trek if you don’t live in the area, but I’ve been wanting to try for awhile. Admittedly, I kinda overstayed when I was killing time for a dinner reservation nearby. But the staff was so friendly! I also liked how drinks are so clear with their ingredients and their non-dairy options. I got the Ponya & it was delicious, and the serving size was amazing. The peanut butter cookie was also sooo good. I like the concept of Nightglow, but the seating area kind of feels like a second thought for me. Not sure what would make me want to sit back there. Would definitely visit again if I’m in the area.

This place is amazing. I tried a signature drink which turned out to be similar to one of the best cortados I've ever had. Cool concept with coffee and brewery but as a coffee lover, this is a dream for late night delicious coffee. I came here at around 10pm and everyone was drinking coffee with zero people drinking anything alcoholic. I'm sure their brewery is great but everyone was definitely here for the coffee.

Love the concept here! By day, it's a chill cafe, but by night, it transforms into a super cool bar called niteglow The drinks are seriously unique and so delicious! -Great Gatsby 5/5: The barista recommended this for something refreshing, and they nailed it! So delish and dangerously addictive -Morning Show 5/5: Tastes just like a creamsicle, and that coconut cream makes it incredibly tasty -Matchaquatic 4/5: Refreshing and fruity, but just a bit on the sweet side for my preference -Lost in Translation 4/5: A lighter whiskey profile. It felt like a lighter version of an on the rocks drink Definitely coming back to check out their dayglow drinks next time!

love the concept of a cafe by day and bar by night!! good amount of seating inside as well. they have cocktail versions of all the drinks but we both got the regular totoro which was a black sesame coffee with coconut cream 😻coffee flavor wasn’t very strong but i don’t mind personally bc the drink was delicious

Nestled in the heart of Greenpoint, Gimme! Coffee is a charming little café that has quickly become a favorite among locals and visitors alike. This Asian-owned gem specializes in espresso, drip brews, and small-batch roasted coffee beans, making it a must-visit for any coffee enthusiast. While it's not designed as a traditional workspace, you can often find a cozy spot at one of its few tables to enjoy your drink—though the absence of a bathroom might be noted by some.
Nice spot for excellent coffee. Saved our day on a cold afternoon in NY. Also take a bag of their delicious homeroasted espresso beans, they are worth it! I'm from Italy and the coffee is absolutely comparable!

5.6.18 - stopped in for a hot cup of coffee. The staff is very nice and inviting. The coffee isn't bad and they seem to focus on providing fair-trade, organic, USDA certified, Shade Grown, etc types of beans. They have seating outside at a tree and in front of the window. It was a perfect little break for today, which was 60s degrees and overcast.
A L — Google review
Just like their counterparts in Brooklyn, the vibe here is laid back with the focus on great coffee. This space is smaller than their counterparts, but the manager and people behind the counter are super friendly. I ordered a latte so I can't speak to the basic coffee or straight up espresso, but it was delicious. I also snagged a ham & cheese croissant from their fresh display that was scrumptious.
Topher Z — Google review
Amazing espresso! The barista is really passionate about his craft and will discuss recommendations without being condescending. All of the beans are really good--just ask which is best for your preferred brew method.

Great shot of espresso to stay and then carried out drip coffee. Both were excellent. I would walk out of my way to get the drip coffee again. Usually I'll wait for a pour over but no need to for this place.

Horrible manners and mediocre coffee. I went in with my partner and asked one employee if he could use the bathroom. She said I had to buy something first. When I went to the counter to order and pay I asked another employee if there was a bathroom and she responded "not really". Not sure how you can "not really" have a bathroom. Then the other employee came over and said there is one but someone was inside. There actually was a bathroom but it was vacant. Basically the cashier lied straight to my face. Aside from that they also confused my order. I left the store with a bad taste in my mouth and that was BEFORE I even tried their mediocre coftee.

The baristas are praised for their friendliness and professionalism, although some customers have had mixed experiences with service. Despite being a bit pricey, visitors appreciate the complex flavors of the coffee beans available for purchase.
Went in at 7am Tuesday October 1st with my partner and we were the only ones in the shop for the most part. Our barista was so lovely and the espresso was perfect. The batch brew wasn’t to my personal taste but I could appreciate it for what it was.

Clearly my favorite coffee shop in New York. While more and more coffee shops shy away from pour-overs Drip has taken a gamble: focusing on slow-motion filter coffee. Loveless Coffees, formerly known as Spectrum Coffees, is a top-notch specialty coffee haven in NYC. Founded by Will Douglas and Joe Wieczorek in 2017, it draws inspiration from the iconic album by Bloody Valentine. The staff, including baristas and production team members, are highly skilled and create a welcoming neighborhood vibe. The light roasted specialty coffee is delicious, and they are expanding their food program with great offerings.
Cute interior, friendly service, great coffee. I go here almost every day and have become spoiled because of it; I’ve yet to find a coffee shop in Brooklyn lives up to it. Just like anywhere, you can get the occasional over or under extraction, but the vast majority of drinks will come out great.

This is my all time favorite coffee shop in Brooklyn. I’ve become a regular here because the staff is incredibly friendly and always remembers my coffee order. The coffee is spectacular, the food is great, and their matcha is delicious! I love that they have both indoor and outdoor seating, which is perfect for me when I work remotely. Highly recommend loveless coffee!
Meredith M — Google review
Loveless Coffee nails that sweet spot between light and medium roast with their Rosegold Espresso. The blend—Brazil Capixaba and Ethiopian Siko—tastes like raw honey up front, then drifts into cherry, nougat, and a long dark-chocolate finish. It shines in their flat white, giving just enough fruity sparkle without losing body. I tried both a flat white and a cortado. The milk stayed cool and silky, letting the espresso do the talking. In the cortado the cherry acidity popped; in the flat white the nougat note felt richer and rounder. Each sip stayed balanced all the way down. The shop feels welcoming and easy. Staff are quick to chat beans, and they keep things moving without rushing you out. Shelves of their 11-ounce boxes line one wall, so you can take the same coffee home for twenty-two bucks and try dialing it in yourself. If you’re chasing a roast that lands right in the middle—bright but still sweet—Loveless is worth the stop. Flat white, cortado, or even a filter pour, that Rosegold espresso holds its own.

Textbook NYC neighborhood coffee place with a homely vibe. They roast their own coffee in the shop so when they run the roasters it can get a bit loud. Tried the Chipotle Bacon Egg and Cheese Sandwich with Iced Latte’. Both items tasted decent. The ambience is very simple and I don’t know if they have air conditioning because it was warm inside.. Service was decent, kind staff. Do try this place if You’re in the neighborhood…

The shop offers an extensive selection of donuts that fall into different categories, including nostalgic, newfangled, cake, and yeasted options. The bakery's signature rose doughnuts with canele-like ridges and two-tone icing modeled after the iconic black-and-white cookie are particularly popular.
The staff were brilliant donuts were insanely good! Visiting from England. This is a must try in New York, especially the strawberry cheesecake.

Cute little donut shop that I wandered into on my way to meet a friend. Too bad there's not a lot of sitting room - it was definitely on the more cramped side but I can appreciate the effort on the donut related decors. The donuts themselves were also just so-so. Very unique and fun flavors but maybe it was because it was cold when I finally got to eating it, but it tasted a little dry.
Kat — Google review
The first time I discovered Doughnut Plant, I gave it 5 stars because they were truly the most spectacular doughnuts I had ever tried. Every time we planned a trip to New York, our reaction was always the same: “Yes! We’re going to eat Doughnut Plant!” But this time was a big disappointment. We went three times, and all three times were a bad experience. We visited three different locations, at different times of day, and unfortunately, the result was always the same. They used to stand out for their flavor, texture, and variety — they were really special — but now they just feel like any other doughnut shop. The crème brûlée no longer has that crispy top that made it unique, the vanilla bean was completely melted, and even the Valrhona hot chocolate, which used to be rich and intense, has lost its depth. At the Grand Street location, the service was particularly poor — the staff looked upset, served with bad attitude, and seemed annoyed all the time. This didn’t happen in the other two locations, where at least the service was polite. It honestly makes us sad, because for years this was our favorite place. Whenever friends or family came to New York, we always told them they couldn’t leave without trying these doughnuts. But now, unfortunately, that’s no longer the case. We want this to be a constructive review, because we truly value what Doughnut Plant once was. Hopefully, this is just a rough patch, and they’ll soon go back to being the best doughnuts — like they used to be.

Caffe Roma is a historic cafe located on the corner of Mulberry St and Broome St in Little Italy, founded in 1891. The cafe serves a variety of Italian treats such as cannoli, tiramisu, and housemade gelato. Visitors can enjoy delicious espresso, pastries, and desserts while taking a break from exploring the area.
We fell in love with this place. The drinks were delicious, we ordered a caramel cappuccino, a hot chocolate and a regular cappuccino. The drinks were smooth, foamy, with just the right amount of sweetness. We also ordered a tiramisu and it left us speechless, the flavor was delicious, you can tell it is made in the original way. The place is old and decorated in the same way, it transports you to the past and makes you really feel the connection to the moment, to the people around you. It is incredibly beautiful. The service was very average, not bad, we will definitely be back.

Best herbal/hibiscus tea in Manhattan. Sweeten it accordingly with the classic/house syrup on the self-serve stand. I don’t know why they don’t have WiFi though, makes no sense.

Damn, I should have tried their summer drinks, they look delicious! My lavender latte was too, of course! It'll be a good excuse to come back. Love Irving Farm UWS, it's cozy, staff is friendly, good tunes in the background, and love the book corner in the back of the cafe, very unique! I had coffee at their stores in lower Manhattan, and their beans really make a difference! See you soon :)

If you need your Matcha latte fix, this is the place. It is 7$. They also sell prepared egg sandwiches that can throw you back to the one you might have had in Japan. It is vegetarian.

3.5 / 5.0 - My friends and I were looking for a cafe for some coffee / tea and decided on Irving Farm because they have a spacious seating area in the back with a skylight. It was completely full, which is understandable for a Saturday afternoon, with a mix of people catching up and others on their laptops. Fortunately, a table opened up soon after we arrived and we were able to sit. Our table was in the corner and sectioned off, so we had our own little quiet corner, which was nice for catching up. I ordered the medium Matcha Latte ($6.25+), which was good. I also wanted a cookie or something sweet, but their selection of pastries was limited at 2pm. Perhaps, mornings are better for a wider selection.

All around great experience for quality coffee a spacious, clean spot to enjoy either some reading or Journaling time or a catch up with friends! Plenty of seating inside, a few tables outside. Enjoy!

If I’m paying $5 for a cortado (!) I expect a lot better than this. I’ve been a patron for over 10 years and the skill of the baristas has really gone down. Food is good and everyone is pleasant, which is why I’m not giving less stars.

A great little coffee shop on the Upper West Side. Their Cinnamon Cardamom Bun is awesome, though messy, and goes well with their hot peppermint tea. Their croissants looked incredible, too. Lots of people were sitting in here to work on their laptops. I had a business meeting here for over an hour, and it was a great place to chat.
Beth C — Google review
The time I went I was served a poor cup of coffee and service. I ordered an americano and a scone. The lady sounded friendly but took no care at all. She put hot water and milk in my cup then add in the shot - which is not the method for an americano. Then the scone was like rubbery on the ends and not even that good. Seems like she was overworked and trying to get stuff done with only one other person there. Not a good experience. Also had some issues connecting to my wifi.

Black Fox Coffee is a bright and spacious cafe with a full kitchen, offering gourmet coffee and breakfast plates in stylish surroundings. With three locations in Manhattan's Financial District and Midtown, it aims to bring the European cafe experience to New Yorkers. The coffee beans are sourced globally, ensuring a high-quality brew served in chic European-style settings. Nestled in the heart of the Wall Street area, Black Fox Coffee provides an exceptional coffee experience for aficionados seeking comforting and extraordinary flavors.
I booked a hotel stay in the building and noticed a cute coffee shop as we left. I made a mental note to be sure to try and give this cozy little coffee shop in the corner a try as the weather warmed up. I finally had my chance a few days ago and I could not be more happy. The staff were friendly, gave great advice and recommendations! The food was amazing (I ordered the Breakfast Burrito and Butterscotch coffee)! Both were fabulous, I wanted to savour them for as long as I could! The prices are fairly reasonable, considering the area. I loved the vibe, the ambiance and the noise level was nice and low.

Nice place good food and nice ambiance and coffee and gender neutral bathroom that was clean. A nice part of the Wall Street area … cute quaint narrow street where you can’t park your car so don’t drive here. Overall nice place. And they are green with reusable cups and glasses if you stay in vs take out. We tried the butterscotch latte and it was good and interesting.

Black Fox Coffee on Pine St has a really nice atmosphere, perfect for sitting down and relaxing. The coffee is delicious, always well made, and the staff are very friendly and attentive. It’s definitely a great spot to enjoy a good cup of coffee in a welcoming environment.

High quality coffee drinks that aren't weak or bitter. They have a great selection and staff is amazing. It's nice to find a coffee shop in Manhattan with ample seating, a restroom, amazing drinks and talented staff. One of my favorite coffee places in the city by far. The perfect spot to meet up with friends.
Linda F — Google review
This was my first time visiting this location, though I've been to the other four spots in Manhattan. I came on a weekday afternoon and ordered an almond croissant and an Americano. Usually, if you don’t specify, you just get the small size, right? Here, they gave me a large by default, but the almond croissant was a squished, last piece left on the tray. For something you pay for, that felt pretty disappointing. Honestly, the service here was the worst of all the locations I’ve been to, and it left me feeling pretty off. I don’t think I’ll be coming back.

A spacious coffee shop in NYC downtown on 70 Pine Street @blackfoxcoffeeco is one of three NYC locations. A specialty coffee shop and roasters serving great coffees, pastries and some breakfast fare. The cappuccino was delicious and great service! They bring the coffee and food to your table once you’ve ordered.

Got there early morning at was very quiet easy to talk and get a table, by 9 was very busy and louder. I made an almond croissant which was lovely pastry, though not really any paste inside. Coffees and teas were good and staff friendly and helpful. My friend had avocado on toast.. nice, sliced not mashed up with other things as he prefers but still was very good.

Great coffee, delicious food, and friendly service. It might be hard to find a table if you’re there at peak times. Fairly expensive for a breakfast place, but it was good.

Sweetleaf Coffee Roasters offers a trendy and casual atmosphere for coffee connoisseurs. The Long Island City location on Jackson Avenue stands out with its charming interior, featuring original tin ceilings and cozy French lounge-style furniture. Visitors can also enjoy the Record Room at the back, adorned with vintage band posters and a collection of vinyl records. This spot is perfect for those seeking a laid-back environment to savor good coffee or set up for a productive work session.
I came here to get some coffee and work done, and it's a pretty solid spot! The inside of the cafe is fairly small but there's quite a few tables, and an area ("The laptop area") for you to get your work done. Service here is quick and the barista was nice. I just got a drip coffee and it was pretty solid. The cafe offers free wifi and there's also a bathroom, so it's a good place to study or do work. Would come back.
Mia H — Google review
Great little spot to hang out and get some work done. Coffee and pastries are good and priced pretty typically for the area. The strong point is the atmosphere, with a cute seating area in the front and the record room in the back. Also, whoever they had on aux while I was visiting has great taste in music!
Eleanor H — Google review
The atmosphere is nice. The music isn’t too loud, there are multiple places to sit, and the location is convenient (next to a bus stop and on a busy corner). I especially like the varying kinds of seating arrangements. There is a couch, bar seating that looks out a window, and normal tables to sit at. It’s inviting. For the coffee, I personally think their espresso is gross. I always get a normal cappuccino with 2% milk. The shot was pulled too long I think. The initial flavor is incredibly sour and slightly burnt. I was disappointed, to say the least. The staff on shift was quite nice. Very soft smile and inviting vibe. We didn’t converse or anything, so I can’t make any more comments on that. I came pretty late (5pm), so things might be different during rush hour. Apologies for the photo! I forgot to take a picture before I sipped.
Aby S — Google review
Smallish cafe with a few tables and a great atmosphere. There is a cozy back room with vinyls. The drip was a Guatemalan blend and had a noticeable chocolate flavor with a sweet and smooth (almost honey like) finish. It was slightly herby/leafy as well. No qualms with this place: straightforward service and solid coffee. I just wonder why they have four locations in close proximity to one another!
Dhruv P — Google review
magnificent coffee, wonderful pastries, endearing staff! been coming here for a few months and im in love with this shop. i love the other sweetleaf locations but this one right by my job always helps take the edge off my work day. god bless you guys!
Ally B — Google review
Solid chain store coffee shop, serving up coffee that is very reflective of the NYC 2.5 wave coffee scene. The space is nice and the barista was really good. The cortado was a 7.8, the dark roasted beans just a little too bitter for an 8/10.
Lift_Run_Eat_ — Google review
I appreciate that the coffee has its own personality and different from what you get elsewhere. The pastries can mostly be skipped. The baristas are pretty consistently mildly rude. They always seemed annoyed that I showed up and that they're too cool to be bothered. Greeting me with a stare and a "I'm waiting on you" while standing at the espresso machine isn't inviting.

Café Grumpy in Greenpoint is a vibrant local coffeehouse that has carved out a special place in the hearts of New Yorkers since its inception. Known for its house-roasted specialty brews, this Aussie-owned gem offers a relaxed atmosphere perfect for unwinding or catching up with friends. During my visit on a bustling Thursday morning, I was pleasantly surprised by the lively crowd but quickly found a cozy spot to enjoy my coffee outdoors.
I love there coffee here super strong and wakes me up. The pastries here are also delicious and yummy. Staffs are friendly and helpful. Atmosphere feels comfortable and lovely. Overall great small coffee shop will be coming back if I in the area.
Rafael Y — Google review
In a coffee world increasingly dominated by two extremes: 1. Over the top, too-cool-for-school barista culture… Or 2. soulless, venture-backed coffee chains sprouting up on every block like weeds… Cafe Grumpy is a balm. Providing the perfect antidote to everything ailing New York’s coffee scene: $12 lattes, minimalist cafes optimized for Instagram photo ops and…whatever Blank Street is. Perched on a quiet, unassuming corner of Greenpoint and bathed in natural light, Grumpy is a safe haven for remote workers, the nearby production crews and neighborhood regulars just looking to catch up over a cup. For a place named Grumpy, the staff is anything but, serving great coffee and surprisingly good pastries with the no-nonsense pace of Brooklyn and the familiarity of a small town coffee shop. The soundtrack is as agreeable as the staff that curates it on a daily basis, and you can always find a seat. They're open early and until 7pm for all your ill-advised late afternoon fixes. And yes, it was in GIRLS. In a sea of coffee garbage… be a Cafe Grumpy.
Shamus E — Google review
Hate to say it because it was one of the best lattes I’ve ever gotten. Unfortunately as I got to the bottom ready to leave a good review I found a massive black hair. Before you ask, yes, the hair was on the inside of the cup. Rip. Atmosphere is great place to work. Only one bathroom though.

Abraço is a cozy counter-serve spot located in the East Village, offering a variety of South American coffee, baked goods, and savory small plates. The owners, Liz Quijada and Jamie McCormick, have recently expanded their physical presence and hours, now offering booze and dinner options. The menu features organic whole milk and half-and-half for coffee, with limited sweetener options.
Little bit tucked away. Came in here with a dead phone and only looking for a place to sit and rest for a moment. Was not expecting to have the best cookie of my life and some of the best cafe vibes I’ve ever been in? Felt like a bar but for coffee and sweet treats?! yes yes yes this place is a 10 for me on beli Great music and ambience, super nice workers and great coffee!! The coffee shop I buy my beans from. The shop I take my non-nyc friends to. This is my favorite coffee shop in all of NYC. Service is amazing, drinks are fairly priced for their quality, and the atmosphere is something I’ve been chasing for years. A second home, a third space, and a refuge from it all. Abraço is a sanctuary for coffee lovers in NYC. Also try their olive oil cake!!!
Noah K — Google review
Great atmosphere with unfortunately lots of attitude from the staff. Asked about a milk alternative and was reprimanded for not reading the menu, where, apparently, it states that only whole milk is available. Not worth coming back for good pour over coffee with an attitude like that greeting you. The Olive Oil cake is way too dry.

excellent cafe for quiet people. fewest lurking glances or sense of it, variety of comfortable seating (outdoor alcove if one chooses to smoke), unobtrusive (though moderately volumed this is the “Moderate Noise”) instrumental record spinning, not too much talking or presence of gabbers if so they are in passing and do not seem to linger because they are around so many books, mostly discerning clientele and kind baristas please tip them. nice looking food though i haven’t tried it, my vote is regarding my espresso drink which was perfect. such favorable conditions read and wrote a great deal also you’re next door to tokio7 (…)

Got gonna lie the coffee is really good. The pourover is really delish. This is not a place for to go coffee. There’s no drip coffee so the cheapest coffee is $5. The staff I will say are very sassy and kinda rude. Someone asked for an iced flat white and got a very pretentious answer. But like their coffee is great and the vibes are pretty. Good for a somewhat large group (e.g. 6 people) or a one-one-one coffee date.

Cute little spot 🌺 the pastries and peppermint tea were delicious. The space is quite small/not the most ideal for large groups, but if you can snag a table it’s a nice area to sit and chat with friends.

This review is about sustainability! Thank you, thank you, thank you for providing the dignity of real cups, mugs, plates, and silver, rare to patrons who were enjoying their coffee and snacks inside. It is sadly incredibly rare to go to a coffee shop in New York City without the anxiety that comes with creating plastic trash. I appreciate your clear signage, the way that you ask customers if they are enjoying their coffee to stay, and how you walk the talk with real reusable options for us. It made this already cozy space, which has great music by the way, and even more enjoyable place to read and write and engage with the community. By 2050, the oceans will be filled with more plastic than fish. Plastics are made from fossil fuels, and over 95% of the plastics that we recycled do not get recycled. They instead end up in the ocean, in landfills, and an incinerators, breaking down into micro plastics that we consume and get sick from. So it feels incredibly empowering to support businesses who honor my value of sustainability and reference for the earth. Thank you, thank you thank you! Keep up the great work, and may more coffee shops in our waterfront city follow suit.

Devoción is a Colombian coffee shop with carefully sourced coffee served in a well-lit, brick-lined space with leather sofas. The Williamsburg location features an iconic plant wall, coffee roaster, and the occasional celebrity visit. It's a favorite among entrepreneurs for its quality control area and upstairs office overlooking the space. In Flatiron, the narrow but vibrant space offers delicious drinks and snacks without pretentiousness, focusing on the quality of the coffee itself.
The oat milk cappuccino with Colombian coffee is the perfect blend of tradition and smoothness. The coffee’s rich caramel and nutty notes pair beautifully with the creaminess of oat milk, adding a subtle sweetness and velvety texture. I love how it balances the boldness of the coffee with the smoothness of the milk, making it ideal for any time of day. Every sip feels comforting. It’s truly a delight for coffee lovers!

Delicious coffee and a great atmosphere! Some of the best coffee I've had in the city. I love the massive skylight and greenery. There is a nice amount of seating but it frequently fills up. The cushioned window seat is my favorite.
Rebecca B — Google review
Nice vibe, decent service. Bit of a line but the coffee came fast. Minor complaints - no where to sit because there was a ton of people on laptops and it was freezing cold from the AC (I saw others putting on sweaters) That said, the coffee was run of the mill. Nothing exciting. We had only walked 7 minutes to check it out but even that felt a bit much.
Graham A — Google review
I stumbled upon this charming little coffee shop and loved how cozy and intimate it felt. I grabbed an iced latte to go — it was pretty good, and at $6, about average for the area. The cashier was super friendly, which made the experience even better. The only downside is the wait; there was a long line, and the drinks take a bit of time, especially during the morning rush. It was packed when I went, with every seat taken.

The flat white was excellent, strong flavor and a smooth texture. I’ll definitely be coming back. The place was quite busy though, so it’s not ideal if you’re looking to hang out for a while

Nice and quite busy place. We were lucky to catch a seat while we were waiting for our drinks. The coffee was good.
Ivet N — Google review
Horrible Experience here! I just got an iced coffee here and mentioned less ice, still there was a lot of ice in there, which is probably fine, I requested if they could remove the ice , I was also okay with the cup not being completely filled as well, But the lady at the cashier said very rudely " We aren't going to dip our fingers in your coffee." No one would even wants that!! Honestly the staff is super rude and unmannered, If you wish to have a bad morning, an interaction with these guys would be enough.
Sachi S — Google review
Did not like the coffee here at all. They very much cater to the fine coffee enjoyers and there is no option for any sweet latte for the casual coffee enjoyer. I asked if they had any flavored syrups, but their only syrup that they have is their seasonal option, and I ended up with an incredibly bitter latte with some vague semblance of an orange flavor. Had to add a lot of simple syrup at the bar to make it even mildly tolerable. Very much not worth the price for the little amount of coffee either.

Caffe Reggio, a renowned Italian cafe in New York City's Greenwich Village, has been a staple of the neighborhood since 1927. The cafe is known for its spacious and stunningly beautiful interior, staying open until 3 AM every night. While it can get crowded on weekends, finding a seat on weeknights and afternoons is usually not an issue.
ADORABLE little cafe. Like a step back in time with the antique cafe tables for two, the classical music that plays quietly in the background, and the bright grass green pain on the exterior of the cafe and seen throughout the interior. The cappuccino is PERFECT. Takes a couple of seconds on your first sip, for the coffee to flow through the froth. Serving amazing cappuccinos since 1927.

Quite the historic cafe!! They've been around since 1927, the oldest cafe in Greenwich. I honestly did not enjoy my chocolate cake, it was like over half frosting which was kind of insane and a little gross, and it was over $7. However, the interior was so beautiful and meaningful, quite small but so cool. There's seating indoors and outdoors, and a bathroom.

Almost a century old cafe serving American's "Original Cappuccino" with a machine that's even older. A cozy space with bit crammed seating. Delicious Italian cheesecake, tiramasu, canollis, pies and other pastries. Often stop by for dessert after a meal elsewhere on the street.
Jia S — Google review
Caffe Rggio The first caffe in the United States to serve Cappuccino. Since 1927, behind every great legacy is a steward, and today’s Caffe Reggio owes much to its current owner, Fabrizio Cavallacci. I have been told I must visit Caffe Rggio in Greenwich Village, near by iconic Washington Square Park. First impression step inside Caffe Rggio, feel like lost in time or place somewhere in an old country. I found myself a spot and ordered a cappuccino, which is an amazing flavor, strong, and creamy, cappuccino standard traditional cup. The entire decor was kept maintained, and I found myself admiring the element of the old country atmosphere. I was very surprised when I received my bill; it was much less than Starbucks. This is a service is a polite and gracious attitude; even the place has outdoor seating.

This cafe is located in the basement of Rockefeller plaza. Many other restaurants are there as well, so it should be easy to locate this cafe. We ordered hot chocolate and cappuccino, nothing fancy. Hot chocolate was on the sweeter side and cappuccino was a bit strong for me. The plain croissant was good and flaky. The staff is quite friendly and kind. I would like to try their iced coffees next time. Hopefully next time I can tell them not to make it too strong.

🌞 Perfect coffee escape in the middle of a hot NYC day My husband and I were walking through sunny Manhattan — the kind of day when the sidewalks are glowing and everything feels like it’s melting just a little bit. We needed a break, a breath of cool air… and that’s how we found Blue Bottle Coffee. As soon as we stepped in, it felt like a peaceful oasis — clean, bright, and air-conditioned (thank goodness!). We ordered two coffees, and they were exactly what we needed: bold, rich, and full of flavor. You can tell they care about their craft here. What I really loved was sitting by the big windows, sipping our drinks and watching the city go by — people rushing under the sun, tall buildings reflecting light. It felt calm, grounded, and somehow cinematic. 🎥☕ There were also a few people quietly working on laptops, and I could totally see myself coming back here to read, journal, or even catch up on emails. ✅ Highly recommended if you’re: • Looking to cool down and relax • Craving great coffee • Needing a cozy, modern space to recharge 5 stars for the coffee, the atmosphere, and the little slice of stillness in the middle of the city 🌆

This location is SLOW. I work in the Rock Center area, have come here on several occasions, and it delivers invariably slow service. In fact, I just now wasted 10+ minutes waiting for a latte than didn't come, and had to get a refund to get back to a meeting on time. My one moment of respite ruined by dumb slow service. I can't see myself coming back here given this consistently slow customer service; there are many other coffee joints.

This is the nearest Blue Bottle Coffee from Rockefeller Center as they are located in Rockefeller Plaza. This local coffee shop serves variant of Espresso, New Orleans - Style Coffee, Coffee, Tea, Chocolate, and some foods that are suitable for breakfast or snack. They also provide freshly brewed coffee beans and come merchandises. The dine in area isn't that big, but once we got seated, it feels quite comfortable here. I tried their Cold Brew Single Origin 12 oz for $6. A cup of cold brew with abundant ice cubes. It's a refreshing coffee that isn't bitter and sour.

I love my coffee experience with Blue Bottle. They have amazing coffee beans and the taste is great. Real coffee. I ordered hot Cappuccino and Latte. The Cafe also has enough space to sit or stand to enjoy your coffee. This Think Coffee location is not a place where straight-haired staff (of any hue) welcomes dark-skinned women with "nappy" hair, as my phenotype automatically deems me unattractive. It saddens me that in the twenty-first century, numerous companies do not understand that treating darker-skinned women with non-straight hair as human beings, versus criminals, will bring in more profits. If this company continues to value colorism and misogynoir, they will continue losing revenue they could have gained from humanizing women of my particular phenotype. Management does not exhibit empathy and compassion (a hostile and manipulative response I received via email clearly showed this), which automatically tells me every individual on their team has not processed any trauma, as-ault, ab-se, rage, hurt, pain or invalidation they've experienced as children and/or adults. When individuals - be they baristas, managers or CEOs - have done the emotionally challenging work of processing their private pain (versus denying it like billions of humans do every day), it will show in their values, in their hospitality and in their compassionate response to incidents. I wish their humanity the best.

Later When i went up to order, the old Asian guy rudely Yelled at us that we should BUY something first BEFORE I am allowed to use their washroom. Been a customer before. Won’t be going back. Very bad service. And their bathrooms are gross and no toilet paper. Bring your own toilet paper. If he kept his mouth shut, I would have bought a drink for my Partner and I.

I stayed here for hours. Wifi took forever to stay connected, like eventually, it might depend on where you sit. Did overhear barista tell to another customer that best place to stay is the inner part when she asked. I forgot my baristas name but I'm glad she paid attention to details because I forgot to mention my milk preference

Update: 9/5/23 - the wifi still often does work here. Good vibe, but can get crowded because it's near NYU. In summary, Think Coffee on Mercer Street in NY is a great cafe with a cozy and inviting atmosphere. Their coffee is delicious and their food options are appealing. The staff is friendly and attentive. Highly recommend trying it out!

Cool place with a large space, which makes the task of finding a free table super easy. Many people come here to work on their computers and it still feels very airy, quite and welcoming. But the sitting area inside is very dark and the coffee got a score of 8 out of 10 from my friends.

Great coffee and especially great pastry treats. The atmosphere is what StarBucks used to be in the beginning. Cozy and chill. I really hope that they keep this alive and don't slip off to StarBucks is right now. Keep up the good work!

Man who took my order was so rude! The board says non dairy milk so I asked if they had almond milk which isn’t 100% given before I presumed. He scoffed. So then I ordered al almond milk cappuccino and I received a latte. Not worth $7! But really Atticus to ask. Find a new profession.

This charming café boasts a lush, plant-filled ambiance that perfectly complements its commitment to serving the freshest Colombian coffee around. At Devoción, you can witness the fascinating process of roasting beans sourced directly from their origin farms just weeks prior. The inviting space features striking red brick walls and soaring skylights, creating a serene environment ideal for savoring your espresso.
Beautiful space with perfect pastries and good coffee! Especially loved the chocolate "cookie" which is a wrapped up croissant texture. The leek pastry was yummy as well! The aromatica beverage was unique/something I hadn't had before and am happy that I tried it!! I love that they don't have WiFi on the weekends.

Excellent columbian coffee! Croissants are delicious, unfortunately the guava croissants were sold out! Great atmosphere and always tough to find a place to dine-in!

Barista yesterday ruled. I messed up my girlfriend’s cortado and poured too much syrup, effectively ruining it. They went ahead and made me another graciously with no fretting, good vibes. First coffee / macchiato I had this trip where I felt the beans were dialed in right. Good flavorful stuff, on the lighter roast of things side which is fine but the notes came out really well. The space itself is curated well, too. Would come back. Beans are a bit expensive by bag but it is supporting a B corp that supports direct trade with farmers, so I think it’s the right call.

When I lived in NJ, I do travel an hour for this coffee place. The interior decoration is too tier among all other NYC coffee store. Coffee is always high quality and they do even make pastry in store.

Cozy inviting interior with a beautiful garden in the center! The orange blossom cappuccino made with pistachio milk was beautifully crafted and tasted great - unique flavor/great coffee! would definitely recommend and plan on returning :)

The coffee is flavorful and you can taste the freshness and it smells soooooo good. I got the latte and honestly it was soooo rich. Their pastries are limited though. It does get veryyyy busy, especially on weekends so finding a seat can be tricky it is really great for meetings and meet ups.

A very pleasant atmosphere. We didn’t manage to get in on our first try because the place was packed, with many people staying for hours to work on their laptops. However, once we got a spot, we enjoyed our time. The coffee was really good and flavorful. Overall, it’s a great place, but be prepared for a crowd if you visit during busy hours.

The atmosphere of this cafe creates such a chill and productive environment! I came in to get a little work done and try the coffee. I got the Rosemary Agave Latte (Hot) and my girlfriend got the Iced Latte (both with pistachio milk). We also tried the Guava Croissant! The Rosemary Agave coffee had a strong and unique flavor profile. I would recommend it to anyone who likes to explore specialty coffees! I will note that they don't have flavors or syrups for their drinks (vanilla, caramel, etc.). They do however have a simple sugar and honey syrup that can be added to drinks after they are received. The croissant was very good! Very flakey with fruit filling that perfectly executed the balance of sweet and tart that guava is known for. The best part of our dine-in experience was the setting! The yellow tiles, center plant island, and the warm lighting created a very comfortable yet productive environment. I would come back again just to get some work done! Overall it was a wonderful, cozy experience! The presentation of both our drinks/pastry as well as the subtle warm decor made the cafe one to remember!

Porto Rico Importing Co. is a well-established coffee seller with a focus on offering a wide range of international coffee blends and loose teas. Located at 201 Bleecker Street, this store has been sourcing high-quality beans from various coffee-growing regions for over a century. Visitors describe it as a paradise for coffee enthusiasts, with an enticing aroma that greets you as soon as you step inside.
Great cappuccino. They have a selection of pastries in their small cafe area. There are two benches in front of the store. But there is a wide selection of coffee beans, some very rare and expensive. I’ve been coming here for decades and they always have a great selection of coffee beans. In business here since 1907.

Porto Rico is the truth when it comes to coffee. They’ve been around forever and you’re hit with the old school New York feeling when you walk in. You’re also warmly welcomed by waves of sweet coffee aroma. They offer caffeinated, decaf, flavored and organic coffees. I travel from Queens for this.

Porto Rico Importing Co. is a charming, old-school coffee shop specializing in freshly roasted beans. There are no seats inside, perfect for grabbing coffee to-go. I highly recommend the smooth espresso or their unique Latte. Affordable pricing around $5-10 makes it a must-stop for coffee enthusiasts exploring NYC.

Just an overall fun place to look around and shop if you’re a coffee person. Their matcha latte was really not great but their hot coffee was very aromatic

Porto Coffee has been one of my favorite coffee shops for a LONG time. The coffee(s) is just one of the most unique and delicious coffees I've ever had, and always STRONG. I usually get an Iced Oat Lattee, and can still taste the espresso heavily without having to get an extra shot. Amazing and friendly staff, amazing owners, amazing real prices. I love this place and never want it to change. Thank you PORTUS

I have been ordering Porto Rico Importing Co’s coffee for over 10 years. No matter where I have moved in the country, a constant has been the French Mocha roast. Having a cup transports me right back to my parent’s house growing up in New York. It’s the best coffee and is always packed fresh and ships quickly- opening that box and smelling the delicious coffee is a highlight whenever I get it! You will not be disappointed whether you go in person or order online!

Porto Rico Importing Co. on Bleecker Street in Greenwich Village is a great spot for tea and coffee lovers. With five locations, this shop offers a huge selection of teas and coffees. The smell when you walk in is incredible. We had two iced coffees. While the taste wasn’t amazing, I’m open to trying other flavors next time. The fresh coffee beans they sell look perfect for brewing at home. The customer service was friendly but not overly so. It would have been nicer if they offered more options or choices, as they seemed primarily focused on just taking your order. I’ll definitely be back to explore more of what they offer.

If you are searching for a true taste of Puerto Rico and Old New York, a visit to a classic Puerto Rican coffee shop like Porto Rico Importing Co. is simply a must. Whether you are seeking a mellow morning cup with a Café blend or a classic, bold Italian roast, this Puerto Rican coffee shop is a haven for anyone serious about their coffee.

Coffee Project New York in the East Village started as a small cafe and has now expanded to include a roastery, training center, and additional shops in Queens, Chelsea, and Brooklyn. The partners behind this venture are dedicated to sourcing some of the world's rarest coffee beans from places like Ethiopia and Guatemala. They prioritize working with small-scale producers and family farms that focus on improving working conditions for farmers.
We ordered pour over and nitro flight. The special Colombia natural pour over had watermelon and lollipop notes, but $15 is very pricy even compared to San Francisco. The nitro flight is interesting but the beans used is probably not the best, so the taste is a little flat. Gave 4 stars for atmosphere because the shop doesn’t have a restroom. This is probably common in NYC, so if you don’t mind that, it has great atmosphere.
Vera X — Google review
Coffee Project in the East Village is a small, modern spot with a Euro-café vibe (bonus points for the no-laptop policy). Their medium-roast blend—Colombia meets Guatemala—hits a sweet spot: smooth milk-chocolate body with a caramel finish, zero bitterness, and plenty of flavor. I ordered an almond croissant, and the staff offered to pop it in the oven. It came out crisp outside, soft and fragrant inside—no sogginess. They even let us enjoy a couple of pastries we’d picked up elsewhere at their outdoor table, all with genuine warmth. Friendly people, thoughtful touches, and a medium roast I’d gladly order again. Perfect coffee-and-pastry stop in the neighborhood.

Coffee Project New York is hands down one of the best coffee spots I’ve ever visited in the city! The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, with the aroma of freshly brewed coffee filling the air. Their baristas are incredibly skilled and friendly — they truly care about every cup they serve. I tried their signature deconstructed latte, and it was an experience in itself — rich, smooth, and beautifully balanced. The minimalist decor and chill vibe make it perfect for relaxing or getting some work done. Definitely a must-visit for true coffee lovers in NYC!

Good coffee place. Got their seasonal pandan latte with salted coconut foam. Their coffee was not as flavorful as I was hoping for. The foam did balance the pandan flavoring. It was a good pandan drink but not coffee drink. Service was great and quick.

I've tried a lot of coffee shops in NYC, and this place takes #1 for best tasting coffee/drinks! And don't get me started on the incredible latte art. I go here about once per week, and it's always a treat. I've never had a drink I disliked, and can highly recommend the ube delight, cappuccino, vanilla latte, and strawberry matcha. Also, you've got to try the chocolate chip banana bread and ask for it warmed up!
Georgia D — Google review
Small cage with outdoor and indoor seating. Cocoyam beans are quality and darker, more bitter roast for an intense coffee flavor. Staff are kind and helpful. They also have wifi for work and some pastries. I ordered the cinnamon roll which was perfection - lots of icing and fluffy and sweet. A bit pricey $6.50 but still worth it in my opinion. I wonder if they bake in house? I also ordered a decaf latte with oat milk and it was good. Tables inside are small and there is only one plug so hard to work from by I made it happen.
Leonard — Google review
The project latte flight is absolutely fantastic! I loved trying the three mini drinks, each one was unique and delicious. I’d totally recommend it to anyone looking for something different and fun. I did take off a star because the wait for a seat was a bit longer than I expected, but it was definitely worth it!

I don't understand why there is such a line and hype here. Theres no seating and the service is really rude and unwelcoming. If the coffee was exceptional, I wouldnt mind the above but my espresso was very sour and underextracted. Maybe the coffee just is not good because I then got a cortado thinking the sweet warm milk would make the drink more pleasant but it was still terrible and undrinkable. I just don't understand the hype. So many amazing places for coffee in this area...

St Kilda Coffee is a subterranean, minimalist artisanal coffee bar located in the heart of the Time Square area. It offers a taste of Melbourne in NYC, known for its serious coffee culture. The beans are nicely roasted and presented cleanly to savor their flavor. The shop also features trendy bakes, including vegan options like chocolate chip cookies and vegan cookie bars.
Favorite little coffee shop in Midtown. I actually get chai lattes - their's are wonderful! Small assortment of baked goods. Can purchase they're coffee beans to-go.

I usually judge coffee based on an espresso or cortado - after trying their iced drip (Mind Fuzz) I no longer needed to try their espresso. You could taste all the fruity notes of Mind Fuzz, all the flavors came out without the need of artificial syrups - grabbed a bag for home. Knowledgeable and helpful staff! If you’re a coffee snob like myself, then this gets my stamp of approval! 4.8/5
Sergio — Google review
It was later that same day, between meetings and the steady hum of Midtown, when a friend and I slipped into St Kilda Coffee. A quiet refuge tucked just off 9th Avenue, the space felt like a pause button—unassuming yet deeply comforting, with an interior that leaned into simplicity rather than spectacle. Pale wood, soft lighting, and a layout that favored ease over excess—it was a kind of honesty in design that immediately set the tone. I ordered a flat white, and though straightforward, it carried a certain clarity—smooth, balanced, with just enough strength to hold its own without overwhelming. It was the kind of cup that reminded me why simplicity, when done right, can be its own kind of sophistication. What made the visit linger, however, was the service. Katie, who prepared and served my drink, was genuinely kind and welcoming—an energy that elevated the space in ways design alone could not. Sometimes it isn’t the coffee or even the interior that makes a café worth remembering, but the warmth of those behind the counter. St Kilda isn’t a place that tries to dazzle; it doesn’t need to. It’s a place to exhale, to share a moment with a friend, or to find a pocket of calm before the city’s pace resumes. A reminder that, every now and then, simplicity is the most beautiful form of refinement.

Nice little cafe located below the streets of Hell Kitchen - cosy, nice and warm. Staff is efficient and polite. Free flow water available. Limited seating capacity but works for small groups or individuals looking for a quick coffee fix while wandering through the streets of New York. Reasonably priced and quality is very decent! Superb alternative to Starbucks. Light bites and savory treats also available in a small mini bar section to go with your coffee. Highly recommended!

This is a low-key shop, but specialty and nice. The staff seemed a bit indifferent, but that just felt like the vibe of the place. I got a really nice cortado with an anaerobic espresso - one of my favorites on my trip. The acidity really cut through and shined through. They also don’t charge extra for plant-based milks, which is really cool. They didn’t offer pour over, but that’s understandable.

My husband had a latte which he said was good. I had an earl grey tea which was not very good. The rather small cup was only half full of water which wasn’t very hot. I was given quite a bit of milk to add and the barista kindly refilled the cup with another approximately half cup of less than steaming water. Good place for latte but not so much for tea.

This review is about sustainability only! 🙂 By 2050, there will be more plastic in the ocean than fish. And of the plastic we make and consume today, over 95% of it does not actually get recycled. Instead, it ends up in landfills and our oceans, gets burned in incinerators, and breaks down into micro plastics that we consume and get sick from. I love that your coffee shop indeed has reusable mugs available, but I am saddened to see that the majority of people enjoying their coffee here are drinking from throwaway plastic cups. I wonder if you could encourage or model more sustainable coffee options for your customers by asking them if they will be enjoying their coffee on the premises. Or perhaps you could put up a sign that encourages or reminds people that they have a reusable mug option available in the house. Or perhaps you could offer a slight discount to those who bring in their own mugs. Communication is key, and I strongly believe that if more people knew they had the option to produce less waste, they would take it. Sadly, we have accepted this current state of plastic consumption as normal, when it absolutely is not. I hope you can help New Yorkers protect this waterfront city by the trash that goes into the city’s water, and waters around the world. Thank you for your consideration! I appreciate your space and I love your coffee, and your service is wonderful. Would love to see some additional sustainability measures and communications to match what is otherwise a great coffee experience.

First of all, love that they have single origin coffee beans. You can see the color of the roasted beans and they are not burnt! One day I ordered the single origin latte with oat milk, it had a different aftertaste that I’m used to , which I blamed on the milk. Second day I had the drip, no milk, it was good coffee, my friend had the cortado and was happy to know they offer it, because it’s uncommon in most coffee shops, he deemed it really good. They didn’t have a lot of options for food, just some pastries, no gluten free option, so we had to get breakfast elsewhere

⭐️⭐️ (2/5) The coffee was okay — nothing to write home about. True to its name, Cafe Grumpy lives up to the branding: the host was noticeably grumpy, and the overall vibe was unwelcoming. I ordered a latte to stay and received it in a plastic to-go cup. When the person who’d taken my order realized the mistake, the barista just poured it into a mug instead. No latte art, no microfoam, just milk mixed with espresso. Not worth the $8 price and not a good customer experience.

I recently moved to the area and have been really excited to find my favorite coffee shops for work. I was drawn into the Paper Coffee shop because of its relaxed interiors surrounded by plants. I ordered a matcha latte which was delicious. While there is only one barista, he was very with it and churned down the line of orders. Unfortunately there isn’t WiFi here for paying customers which was the biggest bummer. I completely understand prioritizing guests over patrons however it was still a disappointment. 4 stars Nice overall experience at Blue Bottle Coffee. The atmosphere is relaxed and the space offers some pleasant views — definitely a cool spot to take a break and recharge. While the americano was decent, it didn’t quite stand out for me. Still, it’s a good stop if you’re looking for a clean, stylish place with a laid-back vibe to grab a quick coffee and keep moving.

I rarely hand out 5 stars to chains, but this spot was something else. It ended up being the only café open early during the holiday morning when just about everything else was closed. I walked in pretty clueless since it's been years since I last visited a Blue Bottle back in Korea, and the menu here wasn't exactly beginner-friendly either. Luckily, the staff made it easy. Super kind and patient walking me through the options, even offered a quick sample of one of the drinks I was curious about. That small gesture alone made the experience feel a lot more personal. Coffee itself? Way better than I remembered. Smooth, balanced, and just the right kind of bold. You could tell they knew exactly what they were doing behind the counter. The space also had that calm vibe perfect for zoning out before starting the day. Grabbed a bite, sipped my drink, and got to recharge before jumping into the city again. Glad I found this place. I’ll definitely be back next time I'm in the area.

The coffee was so fresh and strong. It was one of the more refreshing and tasty ☕️. The Macha ice drink is amazing, just the right balance. After walking along the High Line, we stopped by this location inside Hudson Yards for a coffee break. It was quite busy, but we were able to find an open table. Even though it's inside a shopping mall, you get some sunlight through the windows, which was nice. We ordered: - Pour Over - Giant Steps Batch Brew ($5+) - Matcha Latte ($6.50+) - Lemon Berry Swirl Poundcake ($5.50+) We weren't in a rush so it was ok, but the Matcha Latte took over 10 min. The poundcake, I wouldn't order again.

What a lovely coffee spot. Loved the calm and relaxing atmosphere. Staff is super friendly and helpful with recommendations. The cardamon brown sugar latte (w/ oat milk and iced) was great, and had a nice soft kick to the flavor. A perfect spot to sit down and unwind for a little while.

A nice little coffee shop with both prepared foods and baked goods. They even have their own roasted beans for purchase. There’s a good amount of seating, so I was able to have my coffee and a toast to stay. I ordered a flat white with oat milk and a fig toast, totaling around $17.50. The flat white was a bit thin, and the toast was a bit small for the price. The toast had both fresh and dried figs but definitely more dried. I wish it had more fresh figs, as the honey topping was a bit too sweet. Both were still good overall, but pricey for what it was.

After attending the pop-up with Akram Cooks, we decided to come back the next morning for breakfast at Yafa Café—and I’m so glad we did! My sister is actually a regular here, but this was my first proper visit. I usually stick to the typical pancakes, but I wanted something different, and Yafa’s menu did not disappoint. The variety was so impressive that we honestly had a hard time deciding what to order—we almost got everything! Every single dish that came out was perfect to the tee: fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. You could really taste the love and quality put into the food. I enjoyed every bite from start to finish. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, the staff are friendly and attentive, and the overall vibe makes it the kind of place you can happily linger in. If I lived in New York, I could absolutely see myself becoming a regular here. Since I only visit once a year, I’ll be looking forward to making Yafa Café one of my must-stops every trip.

TLDR: Good but pricey food, spacious with lots of seating, slow service. We (party of two) arrived on a weekday for lunch, around 1:30-2pm. We placed our order at the counter. The cashier was polite. We ordered the chicken wrap and lamb sandwich. The total came out to be about 35 dollars which was quite steep by first impressions, but I held judgement until I actually saw the portion sizes. We sat in the back where there were alot of tables but tables were taken. It was also quite cold there with the AC blasting full on in people's faces, so we moved to the front which ended up being too warm. Weird. After maybe 15-20 minutes the food came out. Everything was served on real plates and with real silverware. Ketchup and salt and pepper were available for self service near the counter. The food was pretty good and fresh. The lamb sandwich came on toasted bread and had plenty of meat. The lamb flavor was prominent. However, the sandwich was slightly on the dry side; any sauce that may (or may not) have been put on was definitely not enough to be apparent. The chicken wrap was also good, with many vegetables including peppers inside, but the meat itself was slightly dry. I did need to add salt to both sandwiches, and I normally never do at any restaurant, so take that with a grain of salt (pun intended). The fries on the side were fresh and crispy. Overall, good food. But honestly, for the price, it wasn't mind blowing. If you're looking for a space with ample seating to get work done in a cafe setting, this is the spot. Maybe we missed out by not trying the coffee, but the food was fine.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Yafa Cafe is such a special place! The food is absolutely amazing — full of authentic flavors and cooked with so much care. But what really touched me was the Yafa coffee. The moment I tasted it, I felt like I was right back in Yafa, reminded of my grandma’s qahwa — warm, comforting, and unforgettable. The staff are so kind and welcoming, and the whole atmosphere is cozy and relaxed. It’s the perfect spot to enjoy a delicious meal and a taste of tradition. I can’t wait to come back again!

A must try Between the unique coffees with elevated syrups, the delicious, well-portioned, and reasonably priced food, and the welcoming staff, Yafa Cafe really stands out. We came on a Sunday and were pleased to find spacious seating in the back. The decor is intentional, bright, modern, yet homey. The food was phenomenal. We got the Yemeni breakfast plate, the lamb poutine, and split the batata hara (spicy potatoes). I got a cappuccino — the espresso was bold and smooth. I also added their house-made cardamom and rose syrup. My partner got the ginger turmeric latte- also delicious. It’s also right off the R train for easy access.

This is a very nice, spacious, comfortable, modern, and quiet cafe. ***Apple Pay is required for mobile ordering when you’re seated, just scan the QR code on the table to order, they’ll bring you the food. Pay for your tab after ordering or when you’re done eating. You can also order at the front counter if you don’t want to do mobile ordering or don’t have Apple Pay. The chicken sandwich was delicious! Perfectly flaky and crispy with a layer of coleslaw and some pickles. Fries were also made to the same flaky and crispy perfection.

Great location, quiet and cozy in the early morning, and yummmm I enjoyed my butternut star anise latte + vegan chorizo taco! Looks to be pretty involved in the local community which is always nice:) would recommend this neighborhood spot if you’re around!

Joe Coffee offers a refreshing Matcha Yuzu Elderberry Spritz. It's a nice choice when you're looking for something cool and not a typical coffee drink. The mix of matcha with the citrus and floral notes makes it quite pleasant.

West Village charm in a beautiful space. I had probably the best almond croissant I’ve ever eaten along with a damn fine cup of (cold brew) coffee, and I’m already planning to return. Great spot to work for a couple hours, listen the music, and enjoy the vibes.

Cute space in West Village. Of course, the coffee's good too. Had the banana bread latte. Hadn't tried that before. Honestly, the decor was my favorite part. 🐦

I recently stumbled across joes on waverly (after living in the neighborhood for 4 years lol) and have been 5-6 times in the past 2 weeks. I want to call out the exceptional service, the baristas are genuinely SO nice. Every single one I’ve met has gone above and beyond and actually smiles! This location is super cozy and great for curling up with a book. I love their almond milk matcha latte as they use kettl so it’s high quality. I tried the pomegranate mocha with almond milk (half sweet as I usually only order black americanos with stevia) and OH. MY. GOODNESS. This was the most delectable drink ever. I think I will dream of this. Half sweet was perfect was I could still taste the espresso and it wasn’t masked with too much sugar. I hope this becomes a permanent menu item. I also love that they don’t charge for alternative milk and the baristas don’t hound over the cash register to watch and see if you tip (I always do, I just hate feeling pressured and a lot of coffee shops do that)
Taylor S — Google review
I hate to give three star reviews, but I stopped in on a bike ride and found the following: -nice coffeehouse atmosphere -Friendly, attentive service, good barista skills -Cortado… Espresso falls somewhere between third wave and medium roast, pretty acceptable and drinkable. -cherry vanilla scone… This is where it falls short. It’s $5.50 I took one to go, tried to have it at home, it fell apart crumbly. It was hard, very few cherries… Good taste, but only finished half, the rest crumbled. For this price, the scone should be fresh, have some cherries, and not crumble. Wrong texture for a scone. It’s a good thing I didn’t try to eat it in a car. Anyway, without the scone, I would give it five stars.

Fantastic coffee spot—they really know their coffee well, pour an excellent cup, and have some great beans to choose from. I wouldn’t quite compare them to Sey . . . But I will speak their names in the same breathe. Oh, also friendly and helpful service. Unfortunately small selection of pastries, but you can’t have everything I guess. Not much room inside but a couple tables of outdoor seating, pleasant if it’s a nice day.

“A very nice, small, and cozy café, and the service is very friendly. They offer four different types of coffee—my favorite is the Colombian coffee bean. The coffee bean comes from a village called Jardín in Antioquia.”

A cute coffee shop! Absolutely loved my matcha! Love the cute tiny and aesthetic atmosphere. Prices were average however staff wasn’t super friendly.
Sophie — Google review
I'm quite picky about coffee. Generally prefer to brew my own at home instead of getting it at cafes. Especially skeptical of flavored drinks. But Terremoto surpassed my expectations. Both the space oddity (rose) and purple rain (lavender) were subtly flavored and really enhanced the overall drink. Definitely recommend it as a stop if you're around Chelsea market
Edward L — Google review
A very small and nice coffee ☕️ shop. Looks and smells like they should have wonderful coffee. But sadly their coffee is very acidic and it tastes to me that the extraction time is too short and grind is too fine grounds for the bean they are using. I normally don't recommend big companies over small shops but going to the Starbucks Reserve down the street is a much safer bet for your caffeine fix.

Gasoline Alley Coffee is a small, but energetic coffee shop in the heart of trendy Noho. The coffee is excellent, and the atmosphere is bustling and lively. There are specific locations for the cafe in Soho and West Village, but both offer great coffee with seating inside and outside depending on the time of day. Additionally, they have delicious doughnuts available all day long!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Outstanding! Gasoline Alley Coffee is hands down one of the best coffee spots I’ve ever been to. From the moment you walk in, you can feel the energy—casual, authentic, and focused entirely on great coffee without any pretension. The baristas are incredibly skilled and genuinely passionate about what they do. They don’t just make your drink; they take the time to do it right. Every espresso shot I’ve had here is pulled perfectly: rich, smooth, and full of flavor without bitterness. Their drip coffee is equally impressive—clean, bold, and consistently well-balanced. The atmosphere is simple yet inviting, with a no-frills design that keeps the focus where it belongs: on high-quality coffee. It’s the kind of place where locals and coffee purists go, and you can tell right away you’re getting something special. I also appreciate how efficient and friendly the service is. Even when it’s busy, they keep things moving without making you feel rushed. You leave not just with an excellent cup of coffee, but with the feeling that the people behind the counter care about their craft. If you’re serious about coffee—or just want a place that consistently delivers outstanding drinks—Gasoline Alley Coffee is a must-visit. Truly outstanding in every way.

Great little coffee shop that serves delicious drip. I was on the hunt for a new coffee place to try and came across Gasoline Alley coffee which like the name suggests, is situated between two streets and has a cool walkthrough layout. The staff here were friendly and the line moved quickly. Location is great too as it’s right off the subway stop so super convenient. Overall great coffee place to add to my rotation of morning drip runs.

This was my first time at this location of Gasoline Alley Coffee, and it shall not be my last. I was in the area, and wanted to have a cup of coffee, and spend time with one of my journals. There was no indoor seating available, but this was a nice, mildly warm sunny day on a Saturday, in the Lower East Side, after 3:30PM, so I was not surprised there was no indoor seating available. The coffee was very strong, the apple pastry was lovely and delicious. The staff was super professional and the person who took my order was very outgoing and friendly. I did not see a bathroom, but was not looking for one, so it is OK. Being Cuban, I can fully appreciate a strong cup of coffee, and look forward to returning, when I AM back in that area.

The sign outside says it all, "DAMN FINE COFFEE!" And it's not lying! Great spot for a strong drip with a sweet treat and some remote work - WiFi is excellent. Chilled and welcoming vibes from the baristas. P.S. Katie Holmes sat at the table next to me today. I'm not sure if she is a local or just randomly walked in, but that was a nice surprise. Coffee was fine. I'd try it again on a better day with a different barista. The guy on the clock was on the phone and speaking to someone else while looking at us while we were ordering. It wasn't rude exactly but it was incredibly confusing. He got the order a bit mixed up but it was an easy fix. Seating is decent. Not great but my friends and i had a pretty long convo there comfortably. Its not a flashy trendy spot but if your with good company there are proper tables and chairs. there's a theater or playhouse so if thats exciting to you give it a shot.

The coffee is good and this place has good prices in general. The only thing I didn’t get is the pumpkin-banana bread. The pumpkin bread itself is good and the banana thing is just not right. The venue is not so cool and it’s somewhat dirty outside. Also, the service could improve a lot.

What I like about the Third Rail Coffee on Sullivan is the vibe. It has a very neighborhood feeling and more importantly, not the rushed feeling you get from many coffee houses in NYC. Roasting Plant is a trendy coffee shop located on the Lower East Side at 81 Orchard Street, offering a unique experience where customers can witness the cutting-edge roasting system in action. The shop takes pride in providing freshly roasted coffee beans sourced from various exotic locations such as Colombia, Ethiopia, and Hawaii. With over fifteen different types of beans available, including those grown at high altitudes to ensure rich flavors, Roasting Plant caters to both seasoned coffee enthusiasts and newcomers alike.
From the moment we opened the door to the cafe and the aroma of roasted coffee hit our noses, we were sold! The freshly roasted coffee and the scrumptious pastries were exquisite! The customer service was top of the line-kind, courteous and joyful-made us feel welcome and it was a great start to our morning! Will definitely come again when we’re back in NYC.
Monika C — Google review
Cool live roasting. The beans are medium or medium dark roast, but I'm biased and only like light roast. They let me have a small taste before I committed to buying anything, which I appreciate. I did not end up buying anything.
Renault Y — Google review
Special concept! Roasting Plant roasts everything onsite, brews each cup to order, and shows the beans in their fancy tubes. There’s 7 hoppers of different beans from all over the world. Each coffee drink is brewed fresh, which is rare for drip coffee. You can see and hear the beans shoot from the hopper through the tubes into the machine. Cool experience! The barista was kind enough to let me sample a few different beans. You can get any of the beans brewed fresh as drip coffee. Freshly roasted, freshly brewed. The coffee? The drip coffee was solid, but not as strong in aroma or taste as a pourover or something I would’ve expected. Solid coffee. The space is nothing special: lacks indoor seating, and has one table outside. Super cool watching the coffee beans roast! Management should consider making the space for homey to hang-our in with additional seating. Drip coffee score: 4/5. Everything else score: 3.5/5. Overall score: 3.75/5.

I was so happy to find this coffee shop while at Orchard Grocer (they're the ones that recommended it!) The staff were very friendly and explained their different beans based on what I was in the mood for as a coffee noob, and their iced coffee process. They brew the coffee hot (as it should be) and rapidly chill it with a cool contraption. It was an absolutely delicious coffee. Had to pass by every day of my trip! I also love the vacuum tubes to carry the beans directly into the machines. Definitely recommend!

LOVE the coffee and the people working here are so friendly. Would give 5 stars but in the past few weeks it's been incredibly hot in the shop, especially when beans are roasting. It's difficult being in the store, I don't know how the baristas work all day in that environment...
Grace Z — Google review
I love the coffee and the staff here, but the owners apparently do not care to take care of either because they haven’t fixed the lack of air conditioning at this location that has been ongoing for a while. It’s really unpleasant to go inside a space that is so hot, and it has to be quite uncomfortable for the staff to work in. The two stars I give are for the quality of the coffee and friendliness of the employees, but the deductions are warranted given the poor environment.

Hands down the best coffee in all of New York! Gotham Coffee Roasters is a must visit for all real coffee drinkers. You will not be disappointed! So when I’m visiting New York I have to stop by their cafe. The space is small but mighty. If there is a line, it never lasts long as the baristas move quickly. There are only a handful of tables, but I always seem to find a seat to enjoy my coffee. Gotham Coffee is know for their high quality coffee beans from all over the world, perfectly roasted, and you can taste the difference. They have beans from Guatemala, Mexico, Colombia, and Ecuador. Gotham’s known for having darker roasts than what’s trendy among the “third wave cafes”. Dark roasts often destroy the beans’ character. Here the pourover tasted clean and complex with notes of tobacco and herbs. My initial thought was “this would pair wonderfully with a cigarette” even though I quit smoking years back.

Coffee was great, without doubt. I appreciate their professions and offering different kinds of beans to make drinks. But same as some comments I found here, some staff were cool with their professionalism to talk to costumers. My ☕️🥛✨cappuccino was really creamy, balanced. Nothing to complain. Also my first time trying polenta cake which was an item they got from bakery outside. It was too dry for me so I won’t recommend.

What a lovely surprise. The barista was amazing and I loved chatting with him. We got a very well done espresso and he made us try the Brazilian drip coffee they had on rotation. Not a lot of seats, but definitely a good place to enjoy a lovely espresso.

I’ve been here for both their bar and coffee, and I really love their coffee beans — they’re so flavorful and smooth. Today, the kind woman working there recommended the vanilla fig - homemade syrup, and wow, it was honestly the best I’ve ever tried. I’m usually not a syrup person, but this one was totally worth it. She was so kind and welcoming, which made my visit even more special. As soon as I stepped outside, I was happily sipping my coffee… and even a bee couldn’t resist it — it flew over and made me spill half my drink, haha. I guess that’s how you know it’s really good!

Amazon Go is a small store with a decent selection of deli, salad, sushi, sandwiches, and groceries. You don't necessarily need to download the Amazon Go app; having the Amazon app is enough to enter and complete your order. However, it may take some time for your order to appear on the app after leaving the store. The staff are friendly and helpful but there are no seating areas inside. The experience of using Amazon Go is described as futuristic and convenient.
Cool mini Amazon Go store. Snacks, coffee and cold drinks. Good prices too. Must have an Amazon account to. Take what you want and you'll get charged as soon as you get to the store.

This Amazon Go store has a great atmosphere and is in an excellent location, surrounded by popular clothing brands, restaurants, and coffee shops. However, it can be hard to find for first-time visitors. It would be helpful if the management could place a sign outside Westfield Mall to make it easier for new visitors to locate. The staff were casually chatting when I walked in, which made it seem like an easy job for them. Honestly, in a nearly fully automated store like this, it feels like having so many employees isn’t really necessary. How to Get There Quickly: If you're coming from NJ via PATH to the WTC station or taking the subway to WTC in Manhattan, follow the signs toward Westfield Mall after exiting the train. Stay inside the building to avoid the summer heat or winter cold. Walk straight ahead until you see several escalators. Take the escalators up, continue walking forward, and look for the Nike store on your right—Amazon Go is located directly upstairs from Nike.

Extremely awful customer service. When I tried to return products to Amazon, I waited for at least 15 minutes for the staff to scan my code. They acted slowly in purpose because they dont want their job and even go to drink a coke before come to the desk. Their attitude was so poor, they threw things heavily in front of me. No one owes them. This is ridiculous. Is this how you trained your staff to treat customers like that? I suggest to hire staff that are more willing to do their job. or at least give them a training. This is like a joke.

Some of the food is expired. Check dates. I called Amazon customer service and emailed a pic and went back and they were still selling the same expired food. Otherwise it's a good place for returns and certain purchases.

Very convenient to have in the lobby, but the coffee machine often out of items and out of order early in the morning. Also sometimes still locked at 6:30 am. Again today latte machine inoperable. This store needs new management

AMAZON GO IS HERE -Experience the future of Grab & Go! My family and I went for a walk in World Financial Center (Brookfield Mall) and just about to pass it, I saw at the corner of my eyes “Amazon GO” shop. My sister in-law is in Marketing field so we can’t help not going in and try this new technology of deli / grocery shopping. The step is quite simple if you already have the Amazon account. You just download the Amazon GO app, sign in to your account and scan the QR code to enter. You can scan as many people in as you like. There are not many products there, but they likely cover all sections. At this location, there are more ready-to-eat food that’s what I notice. This may be because this location aims to serve office people during the weekdays. The price is very decent. We got several items, put them the the paper bag provided on every shelf and just walked out - no line, no hostile cashier -That’s it.! The staff there said the money will be deducted from the card in Amazon account and the receipt will show all the info. After 30 mins, I got the receipt which shows all details of the products we got. Very easy to buy and easy to spend money as well ! Currently, there are 2 location, the other one is on Park Ave....will check it out to see if there are more products.

The store is quite small but has fair enough selections. Lots of deli, salad, sushi and sandwiches, and some groceries. You don’t really need to download the amazonGo app. As long as you have Amazon app, you can get into the store and complete your order. The order wouldn’t come out once you leave the store, which confused me a little bit. It took a little time to pop up the order on your app. The staff were very friendly and answered my lots of questions. They also offer microwaves but no seat inside. Everything is self-service. Good experience

Really cool place and idea! The food was terrible, we took two bites and threw the rest away. Amazon does issue refunds very quickly if anything goes awry so I would suggest checking it out.
