620 Jones is a popular cocktail bar in San Francisco known for its spacious heated outdoor terrace, making it a bustling spot for drinks and food. The venue offers socially distanced outdoor dining with staff required to wear masks at all times. Diners can enjoy morning cocktails and French toast while adhering to safety measures. The rooftop experience at 620 Jones provides impressive views of Union Square and a mix of sophistication and relaxed charm beneath the stars.
I had the most delightful breakfast experience at 620 Jones! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The outdoor patio is a perfect spot to enjoy the beautiful morning sun while indulging in their delectable offerings. The menu is diverse and caters to all tastes, but I highly recommend the Drag Breakfast. The chicken and waffles are incredibly delicious. Every bite was a burst of flavor, and the presentation was top-notch. The staff was friendly. 620 Jones has truly mastered the art of combining a fun, lively environment with exceptional culinary experiences. Whether you're a local or just visiting San Francisco, this place is a must-visit. I'll definitely be back for more!

Highly recommended. Very friendly staff. Generous portions of food and a great selection of cocktails.

The queens, the atmosphere, outdoor seating and the drinks are all wonder but do not come here expecting the food to be good. Sad to say all of our dishes were not only disappointing to say the least but the pork belly was straight up inedible and it is apparently a common issue of theirs. Visit 620 Jones with a full belly but hungry for drinks and entertainment.
S B — Google review
Grabbed dinner and drinks at 620 Jones with friends recently. The outdoor patio is beautifully designed with great lighting and greenery, honestly one of the nicest outdoor spaces I’ve seen. The Double Pepperoni Pizza was excellent perfectly crispy crust, generous toppings, just really solid. The Crispy Cauliflower was more forgettable, though the hot honey helped. The major issue? The Tenderloin location. I spotted a rat running through the patio during our meal, which pretty much killed the vibe. It’s not the restaurant’s fault, but it’s hard to ignore. The food and ambiance are there, but the neighborhood is a real problem. I’d consider going back for takeout or indoor seating, but probably won’t be returning to that patio.
Rhett B — Google review
The crabs cakes benny were good. The crab cakes actually taste like real crab. Eggs were cooked just right. The potatoes were crispy without being burnt. I could have used more greens though. We also for the double pitcher of mimosa, which was a good deal.

My family thought it was great. We tried the Breakfast Pizza, Chicken & Waffles, French Toast and Papas Bravas. Everyone loved their dishes. The drinks were a definite standout as well. Great creative options. The space itself is beautiful and open, It's a great spot for Brunch.

Amazing patio with great food and a dj 😍

The food and cocktails here are very good. I went very early when they opened, but it did not matter. This is a bar you must go to if you are in San Francisco. It is a cocktail bar that serves very good food. In my book, that's a win-win situation. The pizza was amazing and the chicken wings as well as the fries with the two sauces.

Restaurant
Dirty Habit is a chic restaurant and lounge located above San Francisco's SoMa district, offering an upscale escape with a high-design space. It has become a favorite spot for cocktail enthusiasts and foodies, featuring a carefully curated menu of luxurious small plates like truffle fries, Korean-style short ribs, and fresh oysters that pair perfectly with their cocktail selection. The venue's stylish fire pits and secluded nooks provide an ideal setting to enjoy signature drinks such as the Arrogant Hipster.
This is a great place to eat, drink and lounge around. The tables are spread nicely apart and the ambiance is dark and intimate. I had the fish and the chips and the fish was so fresh, it just melted in my mouth. I also had the French martini and it tasted like raspberry liquid candy. It was delicious! There's a very cool patio where you can enjoy the company of a group of friends and apparently, they're planning on restarting happy hour again after stopping it during the pandemic.
Joe M — Google review
They're so prominently displayed on street level that I kept missing the entrance to the hotel that Dirty Habit is located at! Find them on the 5th floor for breakfast (7 - 11 am), happy hour (4 - 6 pm), and dinner (6 - 10 pm). While they're closed between 11 am and 4 pm, they leave half of the seating open if you just want a place to sit and chill. Their continental breakfast ($20) is pretty delicious and enough to keep you satiated. It comes with toasted pastries (what a difference warmed pastries are compared to cold!), 5 types of fresh cut fruit, your choice of a glass of juice (I picked grapefruit), and refillable tea or coffee. I also ordered a side of chicken sausage (3 pieces - $8) and side of sourdough toast (4 halves of 2 slices of bread - $2). The sausages were juicy and hot while the toast was not too crisp and didn't need any jam or butter. I also had dinner here my first night and ordered the Mary's Chicken Confit ($30) and apple pie bread pudding ($12). The chicken was moist and tender with crisp skin. Along with the yams, broccolini, and lemon relish, it made for a full meal. The bread pudding was warm with just the right amount of sugary goodness from the cream, caramel, and apples. I was tempted to have a soda but since it would be in a can and non-refillable at $4, I opted no and it worked out since dessert took care of my sweet tooth. Service was excellent for both meals. They kept my drinks refilled and was just the right amount of attentiveness. Dirty Habit is a great part of Hotel Zelos. So convenient to have within the hotel and to be able to charge the meals to my room. Also a great spot to just sit when they're not open!

Not sure what to make of this place. It was. difficult to figure out how to get in (you need elevator access). Stunning rooftop patio, and neatly decorated. Our server Gia was great! The food was good, but nowhere near worth the prices, which are insane even by SF post-pandemic standards. Cocktails and wine were phenomenal. 3.5 stars.
Paul L — Google review
We wanted to stay outside, but it was too cold for our taste. It is heated though. Seemed nice.
Cristiana A — Google review
Very cool spin on Japanese fusion cuisine. Deliciously and freshly executed, good service staff and great cocktail and wine selection too. I wish I wasn’t leaving SF so soon :) I’d definitely come back!
MCD — Google review
I came here with a friend and it was a surprise. This is one of the best places places I have been in San Francisco. After spending some hours in Soma museum we finished here and ordered some drinks and food. I love sitting outside but inside its also amazing. My friend ordered a drink without alcohol. And desserts were also good but small for my stomach ☺️
Jackeline A — Google review
Barely any veg options except some salad. Horrible service. Some food came. Some did not. Then the wrong order. Then they said it's not available and the worst. My friend got her main when we were having our desserts. We in the end also had to split equally as they won't have it any other way. So a girl paid $70 as she only had a salad. The worst service possible.
Shalini L — Google review
Tried dinner during SF Restaurant Week. The gnocchi was very well prepared. Lots of vegetables and flowers complimented the gnocchi. The cod was cooked perfectly. Nice moistness. Both dishes were a bit on the salty side. That's the one critique that I would pass on. Dessert was excellent. The toffee cake was like a bread pudding. Excellent with the salted caramel ice cream. Barebottle IPA was a great choice. Didn't make it for happy hour but perhaps next time. Cocktail selection is very impressive. Overall, a very nice meal.

Restaurant
El Techo, located in the Mission District of San Francisco, is a vibrant Latin American restaurant with a rooftop patio that offers stunning views of the surrounding rooftops, downtown skyline, and the Bay Bridge. The open-air rooftop bar serves up tropical rum- and tequila-focused cocktails alongside tasty street-food specialties such as shrimp skewers and chicharrones de carne.
Pretty cool place with a bunch of vegetarian small plates! I love the Elote; hate the Plantano Maduro; and generally like veggie quesadilla, tacos de canasta dorados! The alfajores are good with decadent hot chocolate. I liked the cookies more than the hot chocolate(too rich for my taste). A special mention - I live their salsa!! 😋
Swap — Google review
El Techo is known to be one of the popular rooftop bars and happy hour places in the Mission. I finally got a chance to check it out on a Thursday evening, you take the elevator or stairs to go all the way up, the main floor is right by foreign cinema. We opted to sit on the inner side where it was covered and more lamps because it was getting chilly. It was pretty busy and we had a reservation for 630 and was able to change it to 7 for a party of 2. We started with a Margarita pitcher and some tequila shots. I looked at the reviews and had to get the chips and guacamole, pollo Frito, and chicharrones de carne, we later added on the elote. It was a lot for 2 people. The pollo Frito was pretty flavorful and was good with the slaw and sauces with tortillas. The chicharrones de carne was a good amount of pork for 2 of us; I think we got half a pound and with the beans and all other mix-ins, lots of flavor. I also had to get chips and guacamole to munch on. Towards the end we added some elote. Service was quick and great and it got really busy towards the end of the night. It’s an all rooftop spot and there are bathrooms located out there too. Somewhat of a view of the city. There’s street parking and also not too far from Mission Bart.
Liann A — Google review
I recently visited El Tech Restaurant last Sunday, and I had a pleasant experience. Despite arriving at 11:15 am, just 15 minutes after their opening time at 11 am, the restaurant was already bustling with customers. I was impressed by the variety of vegetarian options available on their menu. I ordered the vegetable scramble and yuca frita, and I found the food to be delicious.
Rachana B — Google review
This place was fantastic on a warm, blue sky day in the Mission. Basking in the sun or chilling in the shade, this place has the right vibes in spades. Latin influenced with great music, definitely not quiet! The drinks were amazing, I’d recommend some classic margaritas. Along with the chips and guac I recommend the chicharrones, they were so tasty. Fried perfectly with a slight sweet finish, you can’t go wrong here! They bring out the food and drink almost as soon as you you order it! 💃
Landon L — Google review
Came on a Saturday for some lunch with 5 friends. It took about 15 minutes to get our drink orders in with the waiter, but after that the service was frequent and pretty good. The view is pretty much what you pay for. Food and drinks on the menu are a little more on the pricey side but the view makes up for it. They pour their pitchers slightly heavy which I love so if you enjoy that too, this might be your spot for margarita pitchers. Although I was a fan of the alcohol, I have to say I wasn’t crazy about the food. They seemed to be very limited on meat choices. I wanted to get a chorizo scramble because I had seen it on Yelp and they told me they only had a veggie scramble. I decided to order their pork by the pound and get some scrambled eggs on the side. The pork was juicy and delicious, I was just bummed that I couldn’t get what I originally planned for. Also ordered some tacos to split and they were good, just nothing to write home about. A friend of mine tried to order a quesadilla with meat and she got the same response as I did where she could only get the veggie version. She wasn’t impressed with it and neither was I. Everything else we had was very mediocre, but again you’re pretty much paying for the awesome rooftop view and the heavy drinks
Sean J — Google review
The best Margaritas I have ever tasted especially from a restaurant/bar. Happy hour rocked! The Pollo was addictive it was so delicious. Love the view of the city as it's a rooftop. Took a friend for his birthday to Happy hour and we both truly enjoyed the experience. The only down side is it's upstairs and the residents can be rude if you take the elevator even if you have a disability. Otherwise it was a lot of fun!
Rhonda K — Google review
The way to get your table requires a lot of lining up and waiting … even with a booking people seemed to be waiting! We got in about 20 minutes (Tuesday evening) The views and the service are great. Super cool vibes! The food on the other hand wasn’t the best (being the younger sister of Lolinda, we had some expectations) Nothing particularly great - and a lamb quesadilla … it just did not work for us. I would recommend a visit here but for a cocktail and a snack ;)
Paula R — Google review
I won’t recommend this place if you have a pallet. The tres leches french toast was just a hard bolillo, they just poured milk on top with cinnamon and wasn’t even toasted with eggs and cinnamon as toast should. No where did I taste tres leches, there was barely any fruit. My husbands beans were undercook, and huevos rancheros were made a very lazy way, plus the mandatory 5% tip for every guest. If you just want a nice view this is your place.

Restaurant
Charmaine's Rooftop Bar & Lounge is a sophisticated rooftop cocktail lounge and kitchen located at the top of San Francisco's Proper Hotel. It has become a popular spot in the city, offering plush outdoor lounge seating, fire pits, and stunning skyline views. The bar is known for its high-quality cocktails crafted by local mixology agency The Bon Vivants, such as the Unsinkable Sam and Mr. Jinks.
I stopped by Charmaine’s for a nightcap after dinner & I’m so glad I did. From the start, everyone was incredibly kind — The host downstairs made me feel totally comfortable (Even with my takeout bag 😅) & gave me all the details I needed before heading up Once I got to the rooftop, the vibe was immaculate — Warm lighting, cozy fire pits, & a mix of people who were just genuinely happy to be there. I had my iPad with me & planned to watch a show while I enjoyed a drink, & everyone made me feel so comfortable doing my own thing José, my waiter, was amazing — Thoughtful, attentive, & so genuinely uplifting; He even surprised me with a complimentary glass of champagne just to make sure I was fully enjoying myself (I don’t even drink champagne, but the gesture meant a lot 🥹) Miguel was another staff member who really stood out — Equally kind & always checking in throughout the night. It’s rare to feel that level of hospitality, especially when you’re dining solo Ratings: ✨ Ambience: 10/10 — Cozy, chic, & so inviting 🥂 Drinks: 10/10 — Espresso martinis were perfect 🥚 Food: 10/10 — Deviled eggs w hints of garlic were incredible 💛 Service: 11/10 — Truly above & beyond I went in hoping for a quiet solo night & ended up having one of my favorite evenings in San Francisco — Can’t wait to come back (& Def trying the guac next time)
Pooja H — Google review
Charmaine rooftop in San Francisco has amazing views. That is really the main highlight. The outdoor seating is great, especially on a nice day. The whole place has a cool vibe and looks good. Service was solid too. Staff were friendly and quick. The food was okay. Not bad, but nothing I would go out of my way for. It is definitely more of a spot for the atmosphere than for the food. One downside during my visit was that two sketchy people showed up smelling strongly of weed. They were not just chilling either. They kept running around the rooftop and making it hard to relax. It completely threw off the mood for a while. That smell was way too much and kind of ruined the experience at that point. Overall, I still like the rooftop and would go back for the views and the setting. Just hope the crowd is better next time.
Niti — Google review
**This review is for the rooftop bar** Charmaines is a place you go for the view and the atmosphere more than anything else. Dont get me wrong, the food and drinks are great but this is about the view. Food is excellent but its appetizers and finger food, not a meal. You can make a meal of it but its going to take a few orders and some imagination. Drinks are excellent and there is something for every taste - beer, wine, mixed. Personally, I recommend the cocktails. Im generally a beer guy but when you have a chance to get really well made cocktails take advantage of it. Back to the view. Its amazing. Its also SF. The panorama picture below was taken on July 19th. It was COLD with blowing fog. They brought us blankets and of course there is a fire. We were still cold. The second round of pictures is from October and it was significantly warmer but there was more wind. Where we were seated we were completely protected from the wind and it was great. Where you sit will have a HUGE impact on the temperature you feel. Same day in two different locations you could be hot or cold. I would recommend a jacket/sweater no matter what time of year it is. Its a lot easier to take off a sweater than knit one from scratch. I gave Charmaines 4 stars for service and atmosphere. The service can be spotty and is very much impacted by the other guests. Same with he atmosphere. If you get a bunch of VC tech bros in there the atmosphere can be terrible and the service can suffer. I get it, go to the table buying bottle service first. Thats not the fault of the staff, its the curse of the Tech bros. And that brings me to the last part. This is expensive even by SF standards. To me its worth it but you might not agree.

My friend and I had a reservation on OpenTable for a Sunday 4pm visit. As of June 2025, you can avoid the per person nonrefundable fee and minimum spend by reserving a Sunday rather than a Friday or Saturday. We'd both been pre-pandemic and fondly remembered their rooftop bar and firepits. We were again seated outside though this time in the skinnier aisle section rather than in the slightly larger area with the better view (it looked like most of that seating was for 3 people). I ordered the Big Cat, my friend ordered the Proper Cup, and we both split the spinach and artichoke dip with potato chips. My drink was good, but we were both more impressed with the dip, which was delicious! We were also celebrating my friend's birthday, so I let them know on my reservation, and they brought out a complimentary small red velvet cake, which was a nice touch! For anyone driving in for their visit, the UC Hastings garage offers $10 all day parking on Sundays (though I think they close around 9/10pm) and it's an easy walk down McAllister to reach the bar elevator entrance.
Michelle B — Google review
The drinks were really good and well crafted. The bar aesthetic is very elegant and the views of the city breathtaking. I booked my dinner at 6:30pm so I could enjoy the sunset and the night view. We had an amazing server, and the cheese potatoes with smoked mushroom was delicious. We also had the tacos, but they were below average. The guac and pico were not great. The guac was creamy but didn’t tasted like avocado it was very plain, no onions or cilantro, like nothing to elevate it. The pico has cucumber lots of it, which although refreshing took away from what the taste of pico should’ve been.

On the rooftop of the Proper Hotel in San Francisco is Charmaine's. We were staying at the hotel and realized that they had a weekend brunch where they Rose' and Paella!!! Check in the lobby area, (as well as a separate entrance from the hotel). A dedicated elevator takes you to the roof and we stepped out into a sleek modern vibey living room with views all across San Francisco sky line. The bar is stylish and well stocked. The interior rooms are structured into seating areas for conversation and merriment and the outside area has firepits and comfortable seating to soak in an amazing ambience!!! The location is a little out of the way, but it is well with the trip for a eohphisticated yet down to earth experience!!!
Vinay M — Google review
Last night was my second experience at Charmaine's for my sister's 40th Birthday dinner and it did NOT disappoint. It all started by being professionally and kindly greeted by Braeden on the ground level and then by handsome Miguel upon coming out of the elevator into the restaurant. Our server Joel made sure we always had everything we needed. Wemerson and Devan made extra special delicious cocktails just for me since I wanted something that wasn't on the cocktail menu. The manager, Norma came over to ensure everything was going smoothly and she made me and my group feel right at home and even offered to take a group photo of us. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was absolutely stunning and the overall experience was perfect. I highly recommend Charmaine's for any occasion really- happy hour/after work drinks and bites or a special occasion.

I had such an incredible experience at Charmaine’s! From the moment we arrived, the service was absolutely amazing. A special shoutout to Taylor, who was so kind and attentive. He went above and beyond to make sure all of our needs were met. The ambiance was perfect—chic, relaxed, and full of great energy. The wine selection was also top-notch, with something for every taste. I can’t recommend this place enough—it’s definitely a must-visit spot in San Francisco!

New American restaurant
Rooftop 25 is a trendy rooftop bar located near AT&T Park in the SoMa neighborhood. The dim lighting and exposed-wood beams create a cool atmosphere, perfect for enjoying creative American cuisine and a superb selection of drinks. The casual and spacious rooftop offers communal tables, glass windscreens, heaters, and string lights for when the sun sets. The menu includes shareable plates like oysters, shrimp, or homemade pizza from the woodfired oven.
This was our second attempt visiting Rooftop 25, and it was absolutely worth the wait. Our first visit didn’t go as planned due to a miscommunication about a block-out date for a private event. However, the owner went above and beyond to make things right—and truly delivered on that promise. When we finally came in, I was blown away by the atmosphere. The space felt intimate and private, and the view was nothing short of stunning. The staff was incredibly attentive and genuinely friendly, which made the whole experience even better. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. We ordered the pizza and the salmon—both were full of flavor and cooked to perfection. The drinks were also on point—crafty, refreshing, and well-balanced. Rooftop 25 has officially earned a spot on our list of go-to places. Can’t wait to come back again soon!

I'll start with the positive. Nice ambiance, good music, cool layout, and interesting looking drinks (I didn't have any). Also, the Short Rib Calzone was easily the best thing I had, and one of the better items I've had that week. That said, this place shouldn't be serving steak. It was over priced, over-cooked and served along side room temperature to cold vegetables. My date's dish (we both ordered the rib eye) came out room temperature at best. If the restaurant is reading this, I humbly suggest you remove Steak from your menu. You're not good at it, it's over priced and I'm sure that I'm not the only one severely disappointed by the dish. Stick to the pizza and calzones here, they are pretty darned good! The restaurant should have comped one of the rib eye dishes, but they didn't. Probably should have not tipped to drive home the point. Could potentially return for a Calzone and that flavorful marinara sauce, but still extremely disappointed by frankly poorly executed rib eye dishes.

Nice, convenient location between parking and Oracle Park 🥹Recommend the linguine with clams (only $22). Pizza is unique (interesting veggies and lots of cheese). They have a great drink menu, nonalcoholic, soda, beers, wine & cocktails.

Had a great time at ROOFTOP 25! The food and drinks were tasty, and the young lady who served us was really friendly and attentive. The vibe was fun and lively, perfect for hanging out with friends. Only reason it’s not 5 stars is it got a bit crowded, but overall a solid spot!

We went there for a quick drink and a small bite. The focaccia was so good and the sauce was really yummy!!

The best octopus I've ever tasted! Good pizza too. We went for happy hour drinks as advertised online but they were full price when we went which was a bit disappointing, as they were quite pricey. Still, nice to sit in the sunshine with good food and very friendly efficient staff. Food came quickly and enjoyed the casual Saturday experience.

Words cannot express how great this place is. We have a 15 month old son. The staff were great with him and very patient considering how energetic he is!! I forgot to ask for the staff names but a big thanks to them. The food was also very delicious! Amazing chefs and staff.

Peruvian restaurant
KAIYO Rooftop is an upscale bar with a tropical theme located on the top of the Hyatt Place Hotel in SOMA, San Francisco. It offers a unique blend of Japanese and Peruvian bites along with a variety of cocktails. The 3,300-square-foot space features lush plants, a jade green tiled bar, and stunning views of downtown San Francisco, the Bay Bridge, and Treasure Island.
Food here is amazing. I loved the oysters and the Red Dragon roll. The other roll we got, the Loma roll, is a cold steak roll, not the biggest fan of that one. Wagyu sliders appetizers were great, very tender and juicy. The drinks were some of the best I had. We got a second round of drinks as well, we loved them so much. We ended our meal with the Mac and cheese and these people know how to make good Mac! The cheese had a crispy crust and the Mac was fusilli pasta, some of the best Mac I’ve ever had! At first it was a bit windy being so high up, but the heat lamps helped and the staff even brought us blankets. Worth the view alone! That all being said, the prices are definitely up there, so don’t come here expecting to save.
Oliver Y — Google review
The Kaiyo Roll was delicious. Poko’s drink was good but mostly filled with ice, which was disappointing. Cobra’s drink was really good as well, but it was surprisingly small. The yucca fries were pretty good, though the sauce was bland and could use more flavor. The Japanese crispy shrimp, on the other hand, was excellent—I highly recommend it. We ordered the ceviche trio with shrimp, tuna, and the classic. While the ceviche itself was great, the portions were tiny—each sampler only had a few bites, which didn’t feel worth the $40 price tag. Service was a bit slow. Our server disappeared for a while, and it seemed like the managers had to step in to help. The prices are also quite high for the portion sizes, especially considering how much ice they use in their drinks. That said, it’s still a great spot for a fun girls’ night out or a date. The views are spectacular, and the heaters over each table ensure you stay warm, even on chilly nights. It might be worth mentioning that the bathroom is not on this floor. Its actually a pretty long distance and confusing getting there so try to go prior to coming here

This place is mainly worth coming for the vibes; but I don’t think the value for the food and drinks are worth it. It’s a beautiful and upscale environment - being positioned on a rooftop with 360 views of the city. On a beautiful day - it’s the perfect place to be - but fair warning if windy or after sunset - it gets really cold, but they have blankets available if needed to try and warm up. The drinks with tax and tip ended up being about $25 per cocktail, which feels extremely expensive even for San Francisco. The sushi was okay, and the food was decent. I also felt like the service was average. They have this exclusive energy about them - and coming here spontaneously for bar seating - I was treated rudely by the hostess. I highly recommend getting a reservation so you don’t have to deal with the energy of feeling denied as they are not even willing to have a conversation about a table in the restaurant without one.

everything you expect from a japanese peruvian rooftop bar is at kaiyo. went in with semi-low expectations but the food pleasantly surprised me. nice vibes on a warm evening and they even provide blankets. corn ribs: must try! the fad snack of the times but kaiyo’s might have perfected it yucca fries: decent but forgettable wagyu sliders: solid dish and pretty filling

4.5 stars overall, rounded up to 5! Started with fries, pulpo, and mushroom. All amazing. Fries were cooked well and lightly seasoned, mushrooms were sauteed in a delicious sauce, and the pulpo was still soft with nice char, and slightly spicy. Also tried the matcha pesto fettuccine and spicy scallop udon. I wasn't too impressed with the matcha pesto. I didn't taste much of the matcha but my dinner companions did. Even just as a regular pesto dish, I thought it was bland. The udon noodles were cooked to perfection and gave that qq feel but I again thought the sauce was missing something. There was a good amount of heat but not much of anything else. Presentation for both dishes were great though. Also shared the short rib dish. Def the star of the night. Delicious with corn riblets and smaller veggies in the sauce. Def would order again. Had the matcha smore and guava creme brulee for dessert. Both were super tasty and would also order both again. Smore dish was super rich and the creme brulee was light and refreshing! Def get both of you go. Service was quick and friendly too! Loved the decor of the restaurant and we also went up to their rooftop bar for a quick photo session. Amazing views of the city!

The vibe at Kaiyo Rooftop is definitely cool and lively, with great energy and a younger crowd. I had reservations, which helped since it was super crowded. Drinks were just okay—lots of ice, which isn’t to my liking. It was very windy and cold during my visit, but they did offer blankets and have ceiling heaters, which made it more comfortable. We were seated in a table but opt to transfer to a bar since the table was too open and windy. Bar provides a bit of warmth. I didn’t get to try the food since we had dinner downstairs at the restaurant, but the rooftop is worth it if you’re looking for a fun, social atmosphere.

Such a great rooftop in SF. Located really close to the giants stadium and bay bridge so it’s really a gorgeous view, especially at night. The food was great and drinks were tasty. Make sure to bring a jacket or layer. They do have heating lamps but it still gets a little chilly. This place is on the pricier side but you pay for the view.

Cavaña is a vibrant rooftop bar located at the LUMA Hotel in San Francisco's Mission Bay. The atmosphere is swanky and slightly tropical, attracting a diverse crowd of startup enthusiasts, sports fans, and Latin music lovers. The Latin American cocktail bar offers a unique experience celebrating the spirit of Central and South America through its food, beverages, music, and art. It's recommended to make reservations due to its popularity during happy hour.
One of the best unexpected experiences of San Francisco. The Peruvian ceviche is do die for and the drinks are made with high quality liquor, and not diluted. People are complaining this place is expensive, but a $19 cocktail is expected at a rooftop with such views and in such proximity to two even venues. The quality of the food and drinks is quite surprising considering it’s a hotel rooftop. We went for drinks on a Sunday and stayed for dinner and a salsa dance with a live band. We are here on our second day for the happy hour and it’s equally nice.

Not sure why this place doesn’t have higher rating; thought all things were excellent. Service, place, food, beverages; would love to come again. Had best drinks and lots of the menu. Came on a busy Friday night, with a reservation and changed it from 4 to 2 people, outside to inside with no problem, despite being sold-out and freezing outside. Staff were all wonderful, got drinks and food in little time. Really looking forward to returning.

On April 16th, 2023, after enjoying a lovely picnic in Golden Gate Park, my mom, Namratha Manthani, and I headed to Cavaña, the rooftop lounge at the LUMA Hotel in San Francisco (100 Channel St, 17th Floor). We ordered cocktails and small plates, soaking in the stylish Latin-inspired atmosphere and the breathtaking views of the Bay and city skyline. It felt like the perfect way to end the day—relaxing, vibrant, and memorable.

Came here with a friend and got some drinks and food! Good: - The food was delicious - I liked the quesabirria tacos the most and it was the perfect portion size for me - The chips and guac were great to munch on while we had drinks - I liked the watermelon drink the most, then the mango frozen drink was pretty good too - The place is beautiful inside, very upscale modern - Super fast service! Bad: - The place is pretty expensive if you get 1 appetizer and a few drinks - We got kicked out after being here for two hours so it was definitely a busy place - The place is super busy and loud Overall this was a fancy bar and good place to catch up with a friend!

Amazing rooftop with great views all around. Heat lamps everywhere in the outdoor sections so it didn't feel cold even with the wind. Very beautiful space with friendly staff. Loved the cocktails and food too! Very high quality and delicious. Can't wait to go back more often. Update: Also a great place for brunch! Every dish we've had has been exceptional!

+1 to the Gemini summary service is slow to nonexistent. I came for a private event that booked out space and had an open bar. I’m sober and got an NA version to justify trekking to this horridly inconvenient corner. Unfortunately no food included, which is an interesting choice for an open bar. I went up to order the grilled octopus. No one acknowledged me. They were too busy making their cocktails VRY SRSLY ™️. After five minutes I just left and went to garaje 👌 Great views though!

Perched atop the Mark Hopkins Hotel, Top of the Mark is a renowned cocktail bar offering breathtaking 360-degree views of San Francisco. Established in 1939, this historic lounge has been a popular destination for locals and tourists alike. During World War II and the Korean War, it served as a gathering place for soldiers. While its cocktail menu may not be the most innovative, it features well-executed classic drinks that pair perfectly with the stunning cityscape below.
Top of the Mark is an absolute must when in San Francisco. This iconic rooftop lounge has been around since 1939 and still holds all the charm, elegance, and history that made it famous in the first place. From the moment you step inside, the classic decor and sweeping views set the scene. You really feel like you are stepping into a timeless part of the city’s story. The vibe is refined yet relaxed with soft lighting, live music on some nights, and a mix of locals and travelers soaking in the atmosphere. And the views are truly incredible. You can see the Golden Gate Bridge, the Bay, the skyline, and even the Marin Headlands on a clear day. Whether you come at sunset or later in the evening, it is absolutely magical. We ordered the tuna tartare and the steak and both were outstanding. The tuna was fresh and well balanced with great flavor, and the steak was tender and cooked just right. The cocktails were also a highlight. They were thoughtful, creative, and very well made. Top of the Mark is not just a bar or a restaurant. It is a San Francisco institution that combines history, great food, and unforgettable views all in one place.

Well worth a visit for the views alone. Lively crowd and menu was tasty (apps and desserts only) while you sip on your wine or cocktail. My server Juliana was particularly welcoming and kind. A must do for a special occasion or for visitors from out of town. Recommended!

⭐️⭐️⭐️☆☆ Visiting Top of the Mark in San Francisco had been on my bucket list, and I was glad to finally experience it before our event. We were quickly seated with one of the best views, which was truly stunning. The food and drinks were excellent—delicious and well-prepared. However, the service was disappointing. It took quite a while for our server to arrive, and there was confusion with the check, which got mixed up with my friend’s. The delay made us anxious, as we were close to being late for our event. Overall, an unforgettable view and great food, but the service needs improvement.

A group of my coworkers and I were staying at the Ritz Carlton Residences (I know!) on a Tuesday night and decided to walk here for some apps and cocktails around 7. It was an uphill walk, so we were hungry! The restaurant is on top of the Intercontinental Hotel, you just go straight to the elevators and push the T button. The hostess greeted us right away, my coworker called beforehand to make a reservation & the hostess happily remembered. We were seated right by the window on the left side when you walk in, I rec the left side, but can't really go wrong with either. In the middle is where live music takes place but there was none happening that night. Service was fast and friendly! Miguel was very attentive! Espresso martini was more coffee than creamy which I can't complain bc it was so good & strong! A must are the short rib sliders!! Huge chunks of short ribs then shred perfectly when you bite into them! Also love the shrimp tacos! Those tortillas may be some of the best I've had! The homemade ranch chips were good, not much ranch seasoning but good to snack on while drinking. Margarita flatbread was tasty as well. They also have an asparagus flatbread I want to try next time. Has an old school rich vibe to the place, carpet floors always give a vibe. Overall a great place w yummy food & drinks. Just like anywhere in SF, it's pricey! For three drinks & 3 apps for 3 people it was about 141$ including tip. But worth it for a night out!

This SF iconic bar is still wonderful. In an era of fancy, but weak cocktails, theirs are high test and delicious. We had the charcuterie for 32.00, plenty for 2. With $25.0] cocktails and amazing sunset views, lovely.

The Top of the Mark is a high-end restaurant bar ideal for spending an evening with friends and/or loved ones. The space is great for special celebrations, anniversaries or dates. The Top of the Mark features a dancing floor and stage for music bands, a bar, and tables with a 360 degree views of the beautiful city of San Francisco, California. The Jazz nights with Nick Rossi and tge Swing Four are my favorites.

Perched high above the bustling streets of San Francisco, The View Lounge at the Marriott Marquis offers an unforgettable experience for anyone seeking a blend of sophistication and stunning vistas. With its expansive arched windows, this chic lounge provides breathtaking views of the city skyline that are perfect for romantic evenings, celebratory gatherings like birthday dinners or bachelorette parties, and even business meetings. The menu features an array of beautifully crafted cocktails alongside seasonal small plates and artisanal cheeses that highlight local flavors.
Loved that it was seat-yourself—no wait for a host! The lounge had a relaxed vibe, reasonably priced drinks, and an ambient atmosphere. Didn’y get the chance to order food as we came here for drinks after dinner. Super stunning view of the city skyline. Definitely worth a visit.

If you're in the mood for a center-city view from a great vantage point and great cocktails, The View is the perfect lounge to go to. The bar, while not the biggest, has a great selection of spirits and the bartenders are quite talented. The drinks here are a but pricey, but you're paying for the view. They do have food that is great, but I personally wouldn't come here for dinner, but instead to relax and hang out with friends for a couple drinks and overlook the city. The atmosphere is upbeat and the service was pretty good for how busy it can get.
J.C. L — Google review
Definitely a great spot! It’s certainly not guaranteed that you’ll have a spot, but our group of 4 managed to get seats. Our server, Don was a great host and made us feel comfortable and not rushed at all. You’re much more likely to find seats as a smaller group, but it’s worth checking it out.
Peter S — Google review
The food was really tasty — truly excellent in terms of flavor. However, we found it quite pricey for the portion sizes, which were very small despite being delicious. Service was good. The view is beautiful. We went around sunset and sat on the side with a view toward the bay — it was lovely, but for sunset, we’d recommend the opposite side of the building, where you can actually watch the sun go down. That view is even more special. To eat, we ordered the chips, which came out hot, crispy, and not greasy at all. They were served with hummus, which was light and fresh. We also had two mini burger pairs — absolutely delicious! The doneness of the meat, the goat cheese, and the sauce made for a perfect combination. Lastly, we ordered the scallops (you get two), which were outstanding, with a sauce that really complemented the dish. Highly recommend those! To drink, we had just a glass of wine and tap water.

Excellent place to be at if you are in Mariott Marquis in SFO. The atmosphere was really good, crowded most of the days , it opens till midnight so a good place to hangout The food quality was good. I ordered mushroom dish and it was fantastic. The presentatiin and taste was awes8me. The quantity/size of the dishes are not fulsome so you would need to order at least 2 items if you are hungry . Each irem costs 20-30 dollars so on an average a bill if 50-60$ per person if one dish and one drink
Ankit A — Google review
Having visited and reviewed most of the rooftop bars in San Francisco, I always find The View Lounge a welcoming pleasant place to hang out. The bar imhas awesome views of the Bay and seating is not difficult to find. Amazing cocktails infused with some experience like Next Level SF Manhattan - several pours of the drink over a king ice. lovely. Most other cocktails Lycheetini, Alcatraz Garden Marg and Old Fashioned are worth trying. Skyline Punch was little too juicy and short of alcohol. Sharing plates are all delicious, mushroom flatbread is extremely think but cheesy and a bit greasy. The best one is Burratta with side of toasted bread. Must try Chicken Tacos. Atmosphere is a bit quite for a bar, could use a little vibe and music to make the place a bit more interesting. Overall, a recommended rooftop bar in San Francisco. Enjoy the drinks and like this post of you find it useful.

B is a trendy Californian eatery and bar that offers outdoor seating with panoramic views, wine, brunch, and more. It started as a small bake house in the tenderloin neighborhood known for its unique cruffins (croissant meets muffin) with delicious fillings. The establishment has expanded to locations in Seoul and Los Angeles, drawing long lines for their popular pastries like cruffins and choux bombs filled with rich cream.
I have come here on my last 5 trips to San Francisco. A hidden gem amongst the bustling city. Go and enjoy an afternoon in the sun with a pitcher of sangria, and $1 oysters at happy hour - you won't regret it!

Good location and outdoor seating options. We came for happy hour after work and it wasn’t busy. The Moscow mule was good and had a pink hint to it. Ordered truffle fries but in my opinion, not enough truffle. Would recommend if you’re in the area!

They no longer do a 1$ oyster happy hour- it is now 2$ an oyster. No real happy hour specials. I went here and it is quiet at 6pm. The atmosphere is challenging- there is a lot of construction around which I don’t fault them for, but I would go elsewhere if you are looking for a nice atmosphere for a date. Can’t judge them for their other food but their oysters were decent.

Come here for the $1 oyster happy hour! They had delicious oysters from various regions, but my favorite we're the small succulent ones from the Pacific Northwest. The drinks were delicious and strong and I especially liked the Paloma and Slowly but Shirley. I also enjoyed the devil eggs and tacos. Outside seating available, but come early to get a table. We got there at 3:45p and were able to get a table before the 4:30p happy hour started.

Great happy hour deals ($1 oysters!) with a nice atmosphere and terrace. The indoor bar is really nice as well. Wish they did their white wine sangria by the glass instead of pitcher, but other than that, everything else is awesome. Definitely sit outdoors if the weather is nice.

The venue provides fire pits, heaters, and blankets for chilly afternoons, as well as cushioned lounge chairs on the lush deck outside. Highly recommend if you are looking for a cute and cozy hangout spot with drinks and quick bites. My friend Yaxin and I had the best catch-up time at Rise Over Run. I would definitely go back again and will probably take a bigger group of friends to hang with me at the outdoors patio. Food 4/5 Food was good but not mind-blowing if you are looking for a full dinner experience. I think the place is better suited for a “cute drinks and bites” situation. We got the uni linguini, the squash appetizer and burrata persimmon salad. Drinks 5/5 Drinks were great. Our server confused my cocktail and got me a drink that had Japanese whiskey in it, and even though I don’t usually go for whiskey-based drinks, I loved my cocktail. Service 5/5 Fast, friendly and helpful. All the recommendations were great. Atmosphere 5/5 We sat outside at the patio and it was very cute. I will be back at a warmer day. Value 4/5 The price-to-value ratio is on the expensive side.

Came here for a date and was surprised at the food quality since a lot of reviews mentioned that there was room for improvement there. Good: - The solarium is beautiful and watching the sun set from inside is magical, it's a great date spot - The burrata was amazing and I loved the bread it came with too - nice and grilled and had this jam on it that was sweet - The royale with cheese was huge and tasty, average burger but hit the spot - The broccolini was amazing, really nice and lots of kick Bad: - Location is sketch given the Tenderloin but it's a really nice place once you get inside - Service is a bit slow and a little curt - Expensive Overall would come again!

What a cool place, the atmosphere is the best part, amazing views of the city, comfortable seating and heaters that keep it warm even into the late hours of the night. Started off with the fried chicken, the breading was perfect and the sauces really made the dish stand out, one of them is like a sweet tangy barbecue sauce, the presentation was great as you can see from the photo and it came with some buttery biscuits. Next we got the burger, medium. The paddy was rich and juicy and the bun was soft, mouth watering and melted in your mouth. The fries were also delicious, not over salted and complimented the burger well. To finish off we had the potatoes in hummus. An interesting and unique combination, when the potatoes came out they looked like sausages. They were easily cut with a fork and the hummus had a delicious taste and nice fine texture, another dish done well, less traditional than the first two, but put together well. Everything including the service was top notch, you really feel like a VIP when eating at this rooftop gem. Thanks for the food, and I will be returning again soon.

Rather an expensive affair, I should not begrudge the payment of a princely sum, were the fare fashioned with any semblance of art or affection. Alas, this establishment is not of that noble breed. It demands the purse of a duke, yet serves the supper of a weary innkeeper’s apprentice. The sausage, in particular, seemed to have been fashioned from some beast long past its prime. As for the coffee, it was as flat as a love sonnet written by an accountant, possessing neither depth nor the faintest hint of passion. The rooftop offered a fine view and a gentle breeze, which did much to soothe my wounded palate. I daresay the view was what I truly paid for; the meal itself, a tragic afterthought in this comedy of dining errors.

This is a hotel restaurant that overcharges bc many of the guests have food & bev credits. The veg options are very poor and disappointing. Ended up ordering sides for my dinner, the packaging and presentation was borderline appalling. I did very much enjoy my breakfast. The Greek yogurt and berries was great, as was the Swiss mushroom egg dish. I would skip this for dinner. Manager was great and morning Asian server was the best! Even if staff a little flightly and not helpful.

I wish I could give a -1. The service was terrible – we were partly ignored, had to wait a long time, and one menu was completely forgotten. On top of that, they overcharged us for a drink. The food was awful – it tasted like it was from yesterday. It’s disgusting to even be there. The atmosphere is non-existent, don’t be fooled by the pictures. Not even the view is worth it – it’s nothing special, and the area below feels a bit unsafe.

Beautiful and chic setting, delicious food and amazing view. We got dinner here before a show and had a lovely time. Would be great to visit during the daytime because of the view! My burger is wonderful, and my date's fish was delicious.

Perched on the 12th floor of the Canopy Hotel near the Moscone Center, Shelby's Rooftop offers a chic and exclusive atmosphere. Reservations are recommended, but you might snag a spot through OpenTable for a sunset experience. The vibe is upscale yet relaxed, reminiscent of an elegant penthouse party. Sip on signature cocktails like the Pasion De Mezcal and savor small bites such as pulpo de olivo while taking in stunning views.
Great city views & delicious food. We got the Charcuterie board with fresh farmed honeycomb! So delicious! The tuna tartare was a fan favorite. For our mains, we got the paella and roasted chicken. With city of views and great food I would definitely come here again. Parking is a little challenging. You either have to valet or do street parking.

Pros: 1)OK view of the city. Nothing spectacular stood out. Just a lot of tall buildings with lights on. 2)Staff were friendly and attentive. 3)They had nice furniture/decor. Cons: 1)This is partly my fault, but they did not serve dinner at the restaurant. I didn’t read the fine print, and assumed because they’re a restaurant they would be serving food with our $250 per person tab. They included 3 small appetizers that were bite size. They were OK. 2) Drinks were not included in the tab. Additional fee. A small complementary 5oz of champagne 🥂 3) Fireworks on NYE were 50% obscured by buildings, and far away. 4) The music selection was horrible, and extremely loud. We asked them for a song request, they said yes, and didn’t play it. 5) They’re hard to locate. They were on top of a hotel called Canopy. No signs anywhere saying “Shelby Rooftop”

The first time we went there for early dinner at 4:30 p.m. It was a beautiful day, but very windy. We didn't sit outside against the wall; where we sat, there was a rolling glass wall that protected us from the wind. That was pretty cool. The service was great. We ordered three orders of oysters on the half shell. Each order came with six oysters at $22 each. One wine cost $46. For seven people, our bill was about $429. The saffron pappardelle with added chicken ($8.00) was very good. The pasta portion was huge and it tasted very nice. I didn't eat the oysters, but my kids said they were good, but not $22 for a half dozen good. We didn't take a lot of scenery pictures because it was really windy. I did, however, take pictures of some of the dishes we ordered. I think it would be more beautiful at night with San Francisco in the background. If you've never been here for dinner, I definitely recommend it. One funny thing on my bill I'd never seen before was the 6% SF Health Mandate. I looked this up and believe we were paying 6% of our bill for employee healthcare. Please correct me if I'm wrong; this is the first time I've seen this on any restaurant bill. Oh, I would recommend to do reservations for this place.

The service was excellent, the food was good, the cocktails tasty (but too small), and the view nice (but not extraordinary). We sat outside and they had some covers on the furniture beyond our tables, which didn’t look good (especially for such a place), but no one cared about that.

Came here for dinner and had such a great experience! The service was amazing super friendly and attentive. The menu was a little limited, but everything we ordered was delicious. The music, ambiance, and drinks were all on point definitely the perfect vibe for a relaxing night out.

I was staying at Canopy by Hilton for a night and they had put a board for ‘breakfast with a view’. This intrigued me and I chose to have breakfast at Shelby’s. What a cute place. Loved the ambiance and staff were very friendly. I ordered the egg breakfast and it was wholesome and well prepared. I highly recommend this place if you’re in the neighborhood or otherwise.

I came on a date here & our experience was definitely a night to remember but not in a good way. The view was beautiful- but that was the only good thing. The drinks were not the best & the food was bland - everything looked pretty just wished it tasted as good as it looked. The highlight of the dinner was definitely us asking for the check- we wait sooooo long that we both ended up going to the bathroom almost at the same time (they were discussing) he got stuck waiting in line so I was taking pictures to wait for him - We were trying to make the most of the night so as we were walking back from the bathroom to our table that we should have still had, we were talking about how we should order a shot since the check is taking long & the drinks we tried we didn’t like but we wanted an alcoholic drink BUT that got thrown out IMMEDIATELY once I saw our table - the couple that was next to us MOVED TO OUR TABLE - I was SPEECHLESS, they hadn’t given us our check but they cleaned off the table and moved someone to it? When the whole time we were eating it took forever to get anything cleared. I know they knew we weren’t done because the tables are so close to each other - they were just stuck up people who do not have manners. So after that UNNECESSARY interaction with that couple I was OVER IT- I proceeded to find the server and he was like “I thought you guys were done, I was looking for you guys but couldn’t find you” like I said I was taking pictures &never did I see him pop his head into the bathrooms that are literally open so he didn’t have to go in to see me right there LOLLLLL it is just unbelievable that he assumed we had left when it had been well over 30 minutes since we had asked him for the check. That he still went to go print so how is it that he was looking for us to give us the check? Lollllll The bill was almost 300 - so you can’t say we were being cheap and that’s why we didn’t get good service. So yeah unforgettable night!

Good Good Culture Club is a vibrant and airy spot with a colorful interior and a rooftop terrace. The restaurant, led by Liholiho Yacht Club chef Ravi Kapur and his talented team, offers creative comfort food and cocktails. The menu features aromatic and inventive dishes inspired by Asian flavors, such as catfish in house-made green curry and ribeye yakitori with five-spice glaze. There are also gluten-free, vegetarian, vegan, and dairy-free options available.
So much yumminess here! Bright, delicious flavors and fresh dishes. Came as wall-ins and we were able to sit at the community table, which was fine. Still had lots of space and it wasn’t cramped. Next time will make a reservation so we can be by the windows. The shrimp salad is excellent — definitely worth ordering.

Had SUCH a great evening here!!! We ordered a ton of, service was awesome, and drinks were delish! The chicken wing, fried sole, and skirt steak were to DIE FOR!!! Highly recommend. Also was treated to some yummy Thai tea ice cream as an anniversary treat!

Great atmosphere and friendly service - got seated at the bar without reservation. However, food quality was disappointing on both visits. The Positive: The Chips & Dips sauce was excellent. Rock Paper Scissorz cocktail was well-made (rum/pandan). Lively vibe, accommodating staff. The Negative: Crispy Pig Ears were burnt and nearly inedible - hard shell with little meat inside. Sizzling Beef was mostly bean sprouts with minimal beef. The appetizers were okay, but the main dish fell short of expectations. Service and atmosphere are solid, but kitchen execution needs improvement. Would consider returning only if food quality improves.
Cantik — Google review
Very mediocre food. Seems like a Thai place but all the flavors are just so American. The stuffed chicken wing is just like the sweet buffalo wings with some strange stuffing. Pork ribs is again covered by sauce that is too sweet. Pork jowl and skirt steak is okay. Fried sole is an another bummer. The fired dishes all have unbelievably thick and soggy coating. The grilled mushroom is dry and not flavorful at all. The portion size is also very small given the price. Not worth the visit. Basically an elevated Panda Express — yea only elevated in the price though.

Came here to celebrate my anniversary. Overall, the food was good, though it didn’t exactly wow me. We ordered the pork riblets, jewelry rice, and chicken wings, but the standout dish was definitely the grilled skirt steak — tender, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The happy hour drinks were also a highlight — we enjoyed a couple of glasses of wine for just $9 each, which felt like a great deal. A nice spot with solid food and excellent drink specials
Carmen A — Google review
We attempted to make reservations online, and while the only options were rooftop seating, as walk ins we lucked out to be seated inside (which we appreciated for warmth, but also was very loud). The tuna tataki and sprouted cauliflower were the highlights, but we felt that some of the vegetarian options are better described as sides, than vegetarian dishes (the jewelry rice for example). Overall, it was a good experience but nothing mind blowing.

Good Good Culture Club is the sister restaurant of one of our favorite spots, Liholiho Yacht Club, but unfortunately it doesn’t quite measure up. The food is less interesting and portions are smaller. The atmosphere was extremely loud—almost unbearable for a Tuesday night. I suspect the loud music pushes people to talk louder, which then makes everyone else raise their voices even more, creating a noisy feedback loop. I’d recommend avoiding the chicken wings. They’re coated in a hard shell of syrup, and the inside is bland and flavorless. The rest of the dishes were ok. While it’s not a bad place to try once—especially if you live nearby—I won’t be coming back.

Bar
Cityscape Lounge is an upscale cocktail lounge located on the 46th floor of the Hilton San Francisco Union Square. It offers modern quarters with stunning 360-degree panoramic views of the city through floor-to-ceiling windows. Recently renovated, this sophisticated bar provides unobstructed vistas of the illuminated skyline and is known for its astronomical- or astrological-themed cocktails, including the popular liter-size Galileo Highball.
Gorgeous view, and crazy contrast from what's going on outside this building. A glass of beer is $17 but it's definitely worth it. While you get to this building, on reasonable sidewalks, and crowds of homeless people, and then you get a royal view and crazy contrast.

My wife and I went here on a Tuesday night. I ordered a Mont Gay Black Barell Rum and Coke. And my wife had a Coppola Director's Cut Red Wine. Both drinks were very good. Beautiful view of San Francisco. Friendly servers. Relaxing atmosphere. We will definitely visit here again.

I went there on a week day night. The bar wasn’t very crowded and it was open seating. I definitely felt like the view was a lot better than the one in the view lounge. There are a lot more seating that can see the view. The waiter was super nice. He gave us good recommendation on the cocktails and he also helped us take picture. We ate a little bit before we came so we didn’t get to order the food . But it seems like they have a good selection. The cocktail was really good. I really like the vibe there and I will definitely come back!

This place was very cute! It had a gorgeous panoramic view of SF. Occasionally our views were distorted by classic SF fog, but for the most part it was beautiful during the day time. I can only imagine the night lights would be even better. The drinks were pricey and the food was appetisers only. I recommend the cheeseboard with cocktails as a relaxed prequel to a nice date night dinner. Perfect atmosphere for chitchatting with your loved ones.

After a full day of exploring the amazing city of San Francisco, we decided to end the evening with a relaxing drink at the Cityscape rooftop bar. Located high above the busy streets, it seemed like the perfect spot to enjoy a drink while taking in some stunning panoramic views of the city. When we arrived, the team advised us to help ourselves to any available seating, which we did. While this was straightforward, it did mean that the atmosphere felt a little chaotic at times, as there was no real organisation. Some people were clearly there just to take in the views rather than enjoy a drink, which led to them leaning over tables or standing directly in front of those seated. It was not directly the bar’s fault, but a host or a more structured seating system could have made the experience much smoother and more relaxing. On a more positive note, our server, Terry, was absolutely fantastic. He was both friendly and attentive, taking our drinks order quickly and ensuring they arrived not long after. His pleasant manner really added to the experience and made us feel well looked after. The bar itself is very nice, with a modern feel and incredible views of the city, even when the famous San Francisco fog rolls in and slightly obscures the skyline. Despite the slightly hectic nature of the seating, it was still a lovely way to finish our day, and with a little more organisation, it could easily be one of the best rooftop bar experiences in the city.

Fantastic views of San Francisco! My friend and I visited on a Sunday right around opening at 4pm. We had a little trouble getting up there because the elevator we chose wouldn't let you go to the top floor, but we eventually made it by using a different elevator. It's quite a large space with almost every table having a view as there's a lower level with couches and tables for 2 facing the view and a slightly higher level with high top tables and chairs. We were told we could sit at any seat we wanted, so chose one facing the high rise buildings and Coit tower. The other side had a nice view of Golden Gate bridge but was partially closed off for a private party and got very bright just before sunset. I ordered Rising Sign and my friend ordered the cosmic cooler mocktail to start. My drink had a nice passion fruit flavor, but my friend thought hers was quite sour, we're guessing due to the blackberry and lime ingredients. For the second round, I ordered Baileyana Chardonnay and my friend ordered the Sunset Spritz. Unfortunately, I wasn't a fan of the Chardonnay but my friend much preferred our mocktail this time. Would love to go back for sunset or to see the view at night.

Came here for a date and it was perfect. We lined up for ID check, and were very quickly ushered in. We were sat at the best place possible- nice table with seats besides the window. We got to enjoyed and be enchanted by how beautiful San Francisco is. The drinks were served pretty quickly, and they were made just right. The servers are attentive. Great atmosphere- would be better if the volume was tuned down but overall an amazing experience.

Restaurant
Fiorella Sunset, a popular Italian eatery in San Francisco's Outer Richmond neighborhood, has been fulfilling high expectations since its opening in 2016. The restaurant is known for its springy and perfectly charred pizza crusts and an ever-changing selection of pies that never fail to surprise. Despite being packed most of the time, Fiorella offers patio seating and rooftop space with built-in heaters, a retractable roof, and high walls to ensure comfort regardless of the weather.
Wow! Loved this spot and will be coming back. Their meatballs were incredible. You can tell that they care a lot about the flavor and textures into their dishes. I booked reservations in OpenTable was super convenient. They don’t take gratuity on our 6 person table. Also plus points for their themed Bay Area legends and locations wallpaper.

Everything was amazing. Nona's Meatballs were ALMOST as good as my Nona's!!!!!! Rich and flavorful and NOT dry. I got the Mushroom pizza because it was on Every table! And it was divine. And if you ask...they have a homemade dill ranch to dip - as my son said delightfully- "This is the BEST pizza crust I have ever had!" and at 15 years old...that's a lot of pizza. My son said it was tender and soft and not burned but also chewy enough to keep it interesting. Kind of like Indian Na'an bread. And my daughter and I split the salad w carrots and fennel and it was fresh and simple and tender. The customer service was outstanding. They lifted her 150 lb special needs stroller up the stairs, sat us w o a reservation, brought me paper napkins because wven though I had her apron, she still was a bit messy (blind). Highly recommend.

Visited on a Friday night and was able to walk in at 5:15 for a table. Very kind friendly staff and cozy casual atmosphere! Service was fast, drinks and food came out very quickly but they got busier as the evening went on. It did take awhile to receive dessert and check. The pasta and pizza was delicious. The pizza is a soft soggy type of crust, not my fav but food still had great flavors. Chocolate sorbet was very rich and balanced out with pistachios.

The seasonal menu features simple and fresh dishes with a focus on fish and seafood. The restaurant offers an amazing panoramic city view and generous portions for sharing. Guests can expect excellent service and creative cocktails while enjoying the Nikkei tasting menu or choosing from an extensive selection of dishes.
I love the ambiance, and the service is top-notch. I could not be any happier with the service and how they took care of us. Rosita is great, making sure we are all enjoying the experience. Their cocktails is a must try. The food although tasty, the portion is quite small. The outside seating is nice with a view of San francisco.

Three Weeks In — Already the Best Brunch in Town Chotto Matte just launched their weekend brunch three weeks ago, and it’s already my new go-to spot. The experience is the perfect balance of creative food, relaxed rooftop vibes, and attentive service that makes you feel taken care of from the first sip to the last bite. We started with their cornbread — warm, golden, and impossibly moist, paired with an herbed butter I could eat by the spoonful. The Wagyu sliders followed, and they were everything you’d hope for: pillowy buns, juicy patties, crisp greens, and a sauce that tied it all together. The Smoky Breakfast Burrito was hearty and deeply satisfying, the side of bacon was crisp and perfectly salty, and it all paired beautifully with a glass of wine and a cold Cusqueña Peruvian Golden Lager — smooth, refreshing, and spot on for a sunny rooftop brunch. The highlight finale? The churro bites. Warm, fluffy, rolled in just the right amount of sugar, dipped into a silky chocolate sauce, with bursts of fresh pomegranate that lifted the whole dish. Absolute perfection. And let’s not forget the vibe: a live DJ spinning all through brunch sets the tone just right — upbeat, stylish, and fun without being overbearing. It makes the rooftop feel like the place to be. This brunch is vibrant, bold, and clearly crafted with care. Three weeks in, and it’s already set the standard. I can’t wait to come back — and I’m telling everyone I know: this is the brunch you don’t want to miss.

Lovely! The Australian wagyu steak and the lobster truffle was divine! Generally a very nice, trendy space. People were dressed up but also very trendy. The rooftop was too cold this time of year and there’s more of an upbeat energy inside. Great service. Some of the food was mediocre like the dragon roll, but a lot of it was great. We parked a street over, which was free parking on the weekends.

Was excited to try this place for my gf’s birthday, was underwhelmed unfortunately. We opted for the deluxe pre fixe menu @ $165/pp, the bill totaled $1k/4 pp. It’s a nice venue, vibes were decent- they had a DJ posted by the bar with dim lighting. I can say that our server was friendly and attentive, she was much appreciated. What i didn’t like was the food. We had to substitute some of the items due to dietary restrictions and their offer for the hamachi was a lychee crudo?! The value for the food was just not there; Australian Wagyu tastes game-y, miso cod instead of seabass and we are sharing 1 piece per 2 people, Pulpo was half mushy, the rest was just decent. Unfortunate.

This place has an amazing view — if you can, definitely grab a table on the terrace! The food is a perfect fusion of Asian and Peruvian flavors. The dishes are on the smaller side, but that just means you get to try more of everything! We also loved the service — from the moment we walked in, everyone was super kind and the waiters were incredibly friendly. Highly recommended!

I am in absolute awe of this place. It makes you feel as though you’re in a restaurant in LA, or something similar. There’s not many restaurants with an ambiance like this one. It’s gorgeous! The food was absolutely amazing (be weary, it’s pricey) but for good reason. The sashimi dishes are phenomenal. Would highly recommend the O-Toro and the Yellowtail dishes. It was a Wednesday night and they had a DJ playing great music! The service was excellent, other than the fact that the restaurant was nearly empty when we got seated and they seated us facing the sun, and the restaurant doesn’t have shades to block the sun so it was a battle to keep our eyes open for some of the dinner before the sun set. Other than that, this place is amazing and I would highly recommend trying it if you’re willing to spend a pretty penny!

Archimedes Banya, located in Bayview, offers a luxurious spa experience inspired by Russian, Greek, Turkish and Finnish bath cultures. The facility features multiple floors with steam rooms and plunge pools, as well as a rooftop area with stunning views of the bay and city. Guests can indulge in traditional spa treatments and enjoy amenities such as a restaurant serving cold pressed juices, lox platters, caviar and champagne.
From my experience with the front staff, I was very happy. I felt everything was very clean. Staff was attentive. Steph performed my vannek and was awesome!!!! we had no problem parking although we did have to walk about two blocks. One suggestion for improvement would be if new visitors were given a tour.

I am a wellness girl who absolutely loves Banya's, bath houses, soaking places along with massage. I have been to all of them around the Bay Area or at least I thought I had until this last June! Archimedes is honestly one of the best places for soaking, sauna and steam. Such a great time:money value. I also was incredibly impressed with the constant employee presence in the bath house ensuring floors weren't soaking wet and everyone got anything they needed. I also had a massage here and hands down it was one of the best massages I have ever had! And I've been getting massages for the last 27 years along with being a massage therapist for the last 25 years. You can't fake a therapist who truly loves their craft! Lastly, the restaurant served amazing food and I love the roof top yoga space, spa party space and barker lounger room! This has become my most beloved spa space in the SF Bay Area! I can't wait to visit again!
Lynn S — Google review
Can’t really upload photos because phones are not allowed. But I give a solid 5 for the amenities. There is a hot tub, a cold plunge (that is actually cold and is a plunge not a pool to discourage people to take up space for a long time), a dry Finnish sauna, 2 different Russian saunas, a Turkish steam room, 1 slightly less hot hot tub, and a big cool pool. There are also restaurants with a pub, a roof top cooling area, and a TV area for chess and TV. They also have the Korean spa type of NFC bracelets to tap and pay at exit. They also sell the banya hats for a reasonable 25 dollars. My biggest issue is with price transparency. From 12-4, it is their happy hour pricing of 55 instead of the 67 and their restaurant has happy hour prices for beer from 4-6pm for 7 dollars (they had it written on the chalk board). However, when I checked out, I got charged for the regular day pricing of 67 plus 13+2.60 mandatory “dinner tip” for a pint. To be fair I think I missed the banya entry happy hour by minutes. But I definitely did not miss the happy hour pricing as there is a giant clock at the bar. When I asked at the front counter, they said the restaurant is separate from the establishment. Que? But besides that, it's a great place and it can get PACKED on friday or weekends.

Been visiting this place and promoting it since 2010! It has it ups and downs that make up for the dated facilities, cramped locker space and overall poor maintenance / cleanliness. But enough is enough, the current management style and the team he has hired is just completely out of sync with what you would expect from a spa experience. None of these people should be front of the house. In 2025, thankfully we are starting to have better options for saunas in the area, the lack of competition being the main thing keeping this place open. Most climbing gyms have great saunas, and for $30 more than a single archimedes visit you get a month long unlimited access to their cimbing facilities, sauna, fitness center, yoga classes and community. I made the switch this time! Thanks for the savings, unlimited sauna access and potential new hobby: rock climbing!

Came on a Monday afternoon on a happy hour Groupon. Arrived at 1 PM and it got more crowded as the afternoon went on. Overall, the experience was fine, but I’m unlikely to return. I found the clothing dynamic odd, where the men were mostly naked and the women were mostly clothed. Also, the space suffers from a lack of imagination/variety, creating a risk of boredom as time wears on. The lukewarm pool is too small to swim in. The tiles and overall decor feeling a bit worn and tired. If you want to see what “good” looks like for a space like this, I highly recommend checking out The Well Spa in Oslo, Norway. It’s a three floor emporium of many baths, 10+ saunas, onsen baths, etc.

Great place - just be warned, it can get really busy on weekend nights. Like so busy you can’t even get into the sauna, which is surprisingly small. So hit it up during the day on weekends, or even during the day on weekdays if you can make that work. Otherwise it’s a solid working class bathhouse. Not a lot of bells and whistles, so don’t expect luxury spa vibes and you’ll really enjoy it. The sauna is hot, the hot tub is roomy and the cold plunge is absolutely frigid (as it should be!). Plus; we splurged on massages once and they were the best we’ve had in the City. Just wish we didn’t have to pay for the Banya Pass on top of the already expensive massage. Otherwise we’d get massages every time!

Only visited once as I was held in SFO for my international flight home. Great help from staff who answered all questions. Facilities are good and during day not crowded. I was surprised it is a full co-ed make and female mixed nude spa and sauna so that was very European with no one having any issues from either sex. However, given my European experience I was taken off guard by people wearing swimsuits sweating in the saunas then jumping into the pools - the opposite of Europe's approach to sanitary protocols. I highly recommend the roof top for fresh air and a vitamin d sun time. So, in short my only negative was swimsuits in the saunas but I'm not the decision maker on that one. Thanks for a great time.

Very poor experience at Banya. I have been a few times and the place is getting worse and worse over time. Their service staff (a black man) doing aroma therapy was yelling at people for no reason, trying to tell life lessons to people who are just looking to relax and unwind. Their Cafe staff forgot out order and we sat for 45 mins in a claustrophobic cafe without food. They didn't show any decency of trying to even feed us something and just canceled our order. Their cafe is super understaffed and there is one guy running into people doing everything. They always allow way too many people in the Banya and it gets extremely loud and there is no place to sit in steam room and all pools are over capacity. I would much rather driver 2 hours and go to Harbin instead of this terrible experience

If you’re looking for a place to slowly develop a food service or restaurant concept this is it! Kristina is very kind and extremely helpful and professional and she also understands social and digital media management. Only downside is that the space and kitchen are kind of small and dishwashing set up is manual.

This place is not open 24 hours. In fact it is almost never open because it is only open when they have a featured pop up. This happens rarely but when it does it can be pretty cool. There were times when I was impressed. I just wish they would serve coffee and pastries or anything on their downtime.

Sens is a bistro located on the second floor, offering Mediterranean cuisine and stunning views of the Ferry Building and the bay. It's known for its vibrant happy hour atmosphere with lounge music and panoramic bay views. As night falls, the restaurant transforms into a romantic setting, perfect for a memorable date night. The menu features Mediterranean-inspired dishes made from fresh, local ingredients that change with the seasons.
This restaurant was an absolute find. Conveniently located next to the Hyatt hotel and the Ferry building, it’s a great stop for a delightful dinner. The menu has some delicious finds and the atmosphere is warm and cozy. This is a very romantic place for date night or a nice place to have dinner with some friends

Paella and a salad is perfect amount for two. Get the arugula salad! Staff and food were amazing. Tons of seating. Loved sitting by the window and watching people outside play Padel. There’s also an outdoor seating area with many fireplaces.
Heidi L — Google review
This restaurant truly impresses with its gorgeous views of the bay bridge and a beautiful, stone-inspired interior that effortlessly creates a Spanish ambiance. There are multiple rooms and plenty of space, including an event space, making it versatile for any occasion. Mediterranean Spreads (4/5): All three sauces/dips were incredibly rich and creamy, a delightful start. However, the price felt a bit steep at $21 given the portion size. Arancini (4/5): These corn and mozzarella-stuffed bites were nicely crisp on the outside with a decent, though not particularly special, flavor on the inside. With only three to a plate, they didn't quite justify the cost. Tomato and Lemon Cucumber Salad (3/5): This salad was tasty but nothing remarkable. I'd suggest skipping it for something more unique. Lamb Skewers (3/5): Unfortunately, the lamb was overcooked and chewy, which was quite disappointing. Chicken Slider (4/5): A standard fried chicken with coleslaw, it tasted good but was pretty much what you'd expect to find at any basic shop. Not worth ordering here for a special experience. Paella (4.5/5): Highly recommend this one! The shrimp and chicken were really tasty, and the presentation was great. While it looks big, it's a very shallow dish, so it's enough for perhaps two people to share. For a group, you'd definitely need to order multiple. The items on the menu are a bit costly, and they have a small, curated selection. It would be nice to have a few more options. A big plus was our waitress, who was kind enough to let us order a few items from the happy hour menu even though we weren't seated by the bar.

5 stars for atmosphere and clearly a well-loved spot for after work crowd. Paella was not the worst I’ve had but I was surprised by the addition of broccoli and the omission of butter beans. Service was rushed, my plate was nearly taken as I was taking a bite and my beverage was removed before I was finished too. We had desserts and they were also okay. I would’ve loved an espresso but that’s not on the menu, FYI
Amy O — Google review
Popular after work destination for coworkers to have team dinners. That’s the vibe but also loud. There are nice views of the ferry building though. Overall the food was very average. The appies were better than the mains. Steak was under seasoned, fish a little dry. Verdict: will not return unless forced to by work.

Cool spot for a happy hour. Drinks are pretty affordable, the food has some unique offerings (octopus which ended up being really soft, tasty)! Pizza is also solid, nice undercarriage and char. Service, though the restaurant was quite busy was still timely and friendly. Was able to get a table with some ease still. Nice to sit out on the patio. Fun vibes on an after-work evening!

Good food and so-so service. Pretty loud in the outside covered areas. The cod was good and the pork was also very good.

What a great mashup of Mexican and Italian flavors. We went on a very busy night but the staff was still highly attentive and the food was amazing. Try the aranici appetizers or the fresh bruschetta. For dinner the birria lasagna was so good and unique. Will visit here next time I am in downtown SF.

Lounge
Starlite is a renowned cocktail lounge located at the Beacon Grand Hotel in San Francisco, offering stunning city views, delicious cocktails, and delectable bites. With its Art Deco decor, glass chandeliers, and all-vinyl DJ sets, this legendary establishment has been a favorite among celebrities and socialites since the Prohibition era. Recently renovated, Starlite still maintains its classic charm while introducing a cocktail menu inspired by the city's iconic features.
Fantastic rooftop bar with delicious cocktails and incredible views of Union Square! My friend and I had a reservation for 4pm on Sunday, right at opening, and I had also noted we were celebrating my birthday. We were the first in line upstairs and were led to the best seats in the house overlooking Union Square. We were pleasantly surprised that no one was seated next to us until a few hours in when the place got more crowded. I started with the Cable Car Redux while my friend ordered the Strawberry Grasshopper. For my drink, they had a fun presentation where they poured "Karl the Fog" over the drink. We then ordered the Furikake French fries, which were delicious, especially the creme fraiche dip! For the second round of drinks, I ordered a glass of their Clos Bellane red wine and my friend ordered the Pisco Punch. All the drinks were fantastic! Since we were celebrating my birthday, the staff brought out their sundae dessert, which they notified us was free of charge. The sundae was a delicious mix of warm, hardened meringue and yummy ice cream. The apps and cocktails are on the expensive side but that's to be expected of a rooftop bar. We had a bit of a mix up with our bill as we ended up getting charged for the dessert, however, the staff were apologetic and able to fix it right away. Will definitely be back!

Starlite is one of the most beautiful bars I have ever visited in the U.S. I found it by chance during INBOUND last week after a quick Google search for “bars near me.” The food and drink menus looked so good that we decided to walk over, and it turned out to be an incredible choice. The bar sits on the 21st floor of the Beacon Grand Hotel and has one of the best panoramic views in San Francisco. You can see all of downtown and out across the bay. We ended up staying for hours, even though the hostess originally told us our table would be taken at 9. It never was, and we were glad to keep our spot. The staff was excellent, especially Jose who made the experience even better. The drink list is diverse, the food was fantastic, and the setting is stunning. The Beacon Grand itself is a gorgeous hotel, and next time I am in San Francisco I plan to stay there and spend another evening at Starlite.

I absolutely loved my experience. Walked in at about 10:30pm last night (Saturday). The DJ was spinning classic funk songs. The drinks were great and honestly, I was expecting to pay more. Many cocktails in the $18 range. I’ve been to less cool skyline bars in other cities and always pay more for the views. The decor is chic and elegant. I will definitely be back with friends.

This place is really nice! The views are incredible. Great place for a low key drink. If you need to nibble on something, they have some small items. I had the chicken sliders, veggies plate, and grilled cheese. I didn’t think I’d like the chicken bao buns, but they were pretty good. The unique pickle somehow went well with it. The grilled cheese … I think I liked the thought of it, but it was just ok. It’s something you have to eat right away. The veggies I would not recommend. That sauce they provide is like a mild mayo. Very bland on bland veggies. And raw radish…. Nah, def could have been better. This place is pricey… but what isn’t in San Fran. We had to get get pizza after, just not a lot on the menu especially when one of us was vegetarian.

service is unbelievably slow and a little rude, drinks are mid too. that said it’s one of the very few rooftop bars in sf that has a nice atmosphere and well decorated, not too loud so great for dates too. worth checking out once if you’re about the aesthetics / vibes

One of the best bars in San Francisco. Absolutely recommended. Don’t forget to make a reservation! Ask for a table in front of window (as a request during the reservation)
Sadig H — Google review
We had such a great time here. We made a reservation (highly recommended) and we're sat promptly with a gorgeous window view seat. It just so happened it was "dragg" night and we were given the option of sitting in an area to participate or not (we chose not) but were made to feel very welcome by the supporting community who were there in support of the fabulous show. We had tasty bite and great cocktails. This is a classy venue with epic city views.

3/5 Stars - Stunning Location, Service Needs Attention The Starlight Rooftop Bar has an exceptional location with breathtaking views – the setting is truly first-class and the hotel itself is beautiful. However, our experience as hotel guests on a Saturday evening fell short. Despite arriving at 8:30 PM, we were told no seating would be available for two hours and offered only three low stools in a dark corner – hardly what you’d expect from a rooftop bar. The attractive bar area was reserved for a private event, which is understandable. What puzzled us: roughly 70% of the booked tables remained empty throughout our visit, yet staff was unwilling to seat us there. When we tried to stand at the bar, the bartender informed us rather curtly that this space was “reserved for service only” and pressed us to order immediately. This seems like a missed opportunity. With such a premium location, the service experience should match the setting. Perhaps weekend staffing or management protocols need adjustment to better balance private events with genuine hospitality for hotel guests. The hardware is excellent – the software needs an update.

Lolinda is a modern Argentine restaurant located in the vibrant Mission district of California. The eatery offers a fusion of Latin American flavors and farm-to-table ingredients, creating a unique dining experience. Specializing in wood-fired grilled steaks, the menu features various cuts such as skirt steak, flat-iron steak, New York steak, ribeye steak, and bone-in ribeye steak.
It was like being in Buenos Aires, in a corner of San Francisco. The service was excellent, very friendly and speedy staff, they also gave us good recommendations. We tried several things, but probably I was too excited that i didn’t take picture of the actual meat (rib eye). We tried the provoleta, empanadas, pan de queso, chorizo and the rib eye. Everything was excellent, accompanied by an authentic chimichurri. And of course, Argentinian wine, we went for the blend. Highly recommend trying this place.

This was a nice restaurant. I would say its a good option for an upscale date night or to impress a client. Food was great but there were some dishes that were better than others. For example, I didnt enjoy the flan and the pork belly was decent but I felt like it needed a sauce; everything else was great particularly the rib eye and the cheese bread. Servers were excellent (knowledgeable, nice, professional, etc.).
Josh — Google review
The empanadas were delicious, but they would have been better with knife-cut meat. The asado mix for two was delicious, but it had little asado and little steak. The portions don't look generous, but they're still filling.

Fantastic ambience. The fried corn that came with the ceviche was a top 3 fried corn for me and the fish was super fresh. The pork chop with the chimichurri my godddd yes. I enjoyed the ribeye but it was nothing crazy compared to the pork chop. PORK CHOPPPP. Desserts were prob skippable but fun and still good

Walking into Lolinda with high hopes for our 8:30 reservation, I was immediately reminded why first impressions matter in this business. After waiting 15 minutes to be seated despite having a confirmed reservation, we settled in for what would become a masterclass in poor service timing. Twenty minutes passed before our server even acknowledged our table – no water, no greeting, nothing. When we finally flagged down another staff member for water, I knew we were in for a rough night. The disconnect between front and back of house became painfully obvious as our order trickled out in the worst possible sequence. The cauliflower arrived first, underseasoned and forgettable. The bone marrow followed with barely any actual marrow to speak of – disappointing for a dish that should be rich and indulgent. Surprisingly, the yuca fries were genuinely delicious and showed glimpses of what this kitchen could achieve. Our rosé, ordered at the very beginning, didn’t appear until 30 minutes later. The real tragedy was timing our gaucho to arrive a full 45 minutes after our sides, leaving us to eat cold vegetables or wait indefinitely. When our server casually mentioned the restaurant “wasn’t even busy tonight,” it felt like salt in the wound. The food itself was decent but desperately needed seasoning across the board. Everything felt under-sauced and under-salted, requiring constant adjustments. Having dined here years ago when it was exceptional, this experience felt like watching a once-great restaurant lose its way completely.

My husband and I came here to celebrate our 1 year wedding anniversary, and I'm so glad we did! Let me first say out server, Nefris, was amazing. Such a sweet guy, gave us lovely recommendations, and made sure we enjoyed our dining experience. The staff was great, coming around to collect things so our table didn't get too crowded with empty plates from appetizers etc. For appetizers, we got the Provoleta and Hueso Asado. For our entrees, we got Seco de Costilla and Ojo de Bife. The chimichurri was out of this world!!! Let's just say we had no leftovers. It was all delicious and such a perfect way to spend our special day.

I love the vibe and atmosphere of this place. Steak Tartare was good, short rib...eh. my mocktail was really good once I finally got it ( 30+ minutes later).

We had a very nice and enjoyable dinner here. All the dishes we ordered were tasty and brought out in a timely fashion. I wish we ordered more of the empanadas, they were very tasty. Steak was tasty, I noticed it was quite pink for medium rare but still good. Desserts were just okay. The milk and cookies option was a little strange, bringing out three servings for a table of two. Restaurant was dark and loud but still had a nice time. Would love to come back on a Sunday night for their prime rib dinner.

This is the third time we’ve gone to the restaurant. Twice for my wife’s birthday and one time for a client lunch. Be home decor and service is pristine and earns a five star rating. The entire is smart casual, but you can come in jeans and a sweatshirt and the service will still be fantastic. The food is delightful. The service is excellent. The noise level it’s not so bad in the high floors. It’s a unique atmosphere one that will not be forgotten .

A brunch experience. Not sure about the other meals, but brunch…RH is the place to be. The restaurant reminds of a Four Seasons vibe- large, marble, on top of it staff, and great food (funny since their restaurant/show room has nothing to do with a hotel, but alas). For the caviar lovers, they have a decent chip and caviar plate. For bigger plates, the burger is fantastic. Just great flavor and overall dish. The gem salad is deceivingly big, and the buttermilk herb dressing is a standout. Definitely recommend grabbing a glass of wine or a cocktail to bring to the roof when the sun is out. They don’t do drink service on the roof, but totally bring a glass and chill out. Overall, great afternoon, will be back.

The 343 Sansome Rooftop Deck is a hidden gem in the city, located on the 15th floor of a building in the Financial District. Upon reaching the reception desk, visitors can take an elevator to access this privately owned public open space (POPOS). The rooftop offers ample seating and open space for relaxation while enjoying views of the skyline, including the iconic Transamerica Pyramid.
Cool POPOS (Privately Owned Public Open Space) but definitely not a must-see for tourists. Mostly just a good spot for locals to meet up and eat lunch before returning to work.

This was one of the better rooftop POPOS in the FiDi. The building has a marker on the wall by the entrance welcoming all guess to the rooftop. There is plenty of seating and open space to relax or just take in some fresh air. There is also a obelisk structure and what looks like a sundial on the ground. If you walk over to the right side of the view terrace you can get a really nice view of the Transamerica building.

I have yet to find a better public rooftop in downtown San Francisco. It is located close to Chinatown and offers close views of three great skyscrapers: the Transamerica Pyramid, 555 California, and 345 California! You are surrounded by other buildings as well, and you can easily watch the streets below. It is very urban. There is a good amount of seating and a few tables, which are clean and comfortable. Overall, a noteworthy spot. 4/5.

I dig! Randomly stumbled upon here with a friend one night and it turns out that their kitchen was closing, but the manager or owner spoke with the kitchen staff and said that it was okay for us to order food if we wanted, which was very nice of them. I've only done drinks and snacks here, but the full menu looks good as well. Love their whiskey cocktails menu, and their sliders and queso dip are very good.

It is a beautiful restaurant and a lovely neighborhood. The staff was friendly and the place is very clean. It is a very "cool" spot for yoga chics and young hip people. We enjoyed our time here just fine but honestly I found the food flat and bland. The presentation was very nice and for the day to day person I am sure you will love it. I just was wishing for more. The eggs on our slider were super bland and just not great.

I've been meaning to try this spot since I first got my job in the area months ago. I'm so glad I did because it was fantastic! It's a trendy, hipster type spot that specializes in sliders and salads. I can't blame em', this place is delicious. I really like the brunch they have at Marengo. First off, the mimosas and bloody mary's are terrific here. The food is well made and service has always been friendly and fun. The back room has big skylights and opens up so is a lot of fun on a sunny day (while still inside). Marengo will get crowded, especially on a nice weekend so its good to get there earlier for brunch. The back bar will also fill up but it is always a fun time.

The Cheesecake Factory is an American chain restaurant known for its extensive menu and generous portions. The interior of the restaurant is often described as stunning, making it a popular choice for special occasions like weddings. The menu offers a wide variety of comfort foods, including burgers, nachos, and pastas, along with an impressive selection of cheesecakes in different flavors. Located in Union Square on top of Macy's, this restaurant is praised for its delicious and sizable dishes.
Indoor and Outdoor seating (with heaters) Service is Top and caters to customer needs and requests. We had Alexis and he was on top of our food and drinks order. Not forgetting even the littlest of things in our vegetarian and no meat order. He even remembered and brought us the hot Cajun jambalaya sauce for us to taste. He is a rockstar. This location lives up to the hype of being in the prime location of Union Square, SFO and also of their impeccable service. Outside seating view is amazing day or night. We came for dessert to go the night before and for early dinner the next day before we headed back home. Can't go wrong with their vast spread menu for the conscious and not so conscious folks. There's a sweet spot for everyone in here. Drinks, Food and Good Times. And we had the Mango Key Lime Cheesecake to say au revoir.

I had a great experience at The Cheesecake Factory. The food was delicious—I ordered the Chicken Parmesan “Pizza Style,” and I’d definitely recommend it. The portion was generous, the flavors were spot on, and it really stood out compared to other dishes I’ve tried elsewhere. The service was also excellent—my drinks were always refilled right when needed, and the staff was friendly and attentive throughout. I sat outside, which was nice, but the sun got pretty intense on my back, so next time I’d choose inside seating. The interior has a nice vibe, making it a comfortable spot overall.

So many wonderful selection of food! Service was superb too. We had a window on the world view on a brilliant noon time San Francisco. My hubby had the Thai Chicken salad and I had the Shepherd’s Pie. His salad was so scrumptious and the chicken tender. My shepherds pie was one of the best I ever had including the UK! For dessert we had the apple crumble which was the perfect ending to a very satisfying lunch. And they make the best tropical iced tea.

Came here with some friends and went to the balcony for the nice views! Good: - The place is a lot fancier and upscale than expected for a big chain - I liked that there were healthier options marked and calories were clearly marked - The healthy chicken pasta was good! A bit bland but good still - The healthy no sugar strawberry cheesecake was still tasty! Bad: - Took a while to get seated though there were plentiful empty seats - The food was okay, but mostly we liked the ambiance - No sun umbrellas so we got pretty hot Overall this was such a bucket list item to try and do just once, wouldn't come again since there's better food elsewhere

I've been eating here for almost eight years. Every time I come I try a different dish. One of my favorites is the spicy rigatoni vodka pasta, Of course the cheesecakes are delicious, they always have a new one to try. It's a place where you may have to wait a little depending on the time you go since it's a very busy place, but don't be afraid, there's enough space for everyone. The restaurant is big and they work hard to accommodate people at their tables as quickly as possible. It has beautiful views of Union Square and on a sunny day you can enjoy outside a nice drink, good food, and good company. I've seen many happy faces having a good time!!! It's a good place to eat and enjoy.

After exploring the famous Macys store in Union Square we decided to treat ourselves to a well deserved slice of cheesecake from the Cheesecake Factory, which is known for having the best cheesecake you can get. As someone who has been lucky enough to visit various Cheesecake Factory locations across the globe, we were really looking forward to our treat and had high expectations for the visit. Unfortunately, things did not go quite as we had hoped. Despite there being several empty seats on the beautiful balcony area, we were informed there would be an hour wait if we wanted to sit outside. This was disappointing but we decided to go ahead and sit inside instead, where there were only a handful of other diners. We were welcomed by our server who provided menus and kindly offered us some water. However, after this initial greeting we waited almost 20 minutes without any further interaction or sign of our server, which was incredibly frustrating. Whilst we waited, we could clearly see our server and other team members chatting nearby, but no one came over to take our order or even check in on us. In the end, we made the disappointing decision to leave with no Cheesecake enjoyment. Given the Cheesecake Factory's usual attention to detail and reputation for great service, we were really surprised by this experience. I am hopeful that our timing was just unfortunate and that other guests had a better time. It is a real shame as this is a lovely restaurant in a great location. Perhaps we will try again another time and hopefully enjoy the usual high standards we have come to expect. I've rated the food high as the Cheesecake Factory is consistently great with their cakes and menu choices despite not being able to eat at this specific restaurant.

The food is amazing. The cheesecakes delicious. Drinks are refreshing. Great views too. Fav franchise place in the US! Service at the San Fran one isn’t great. Been 3 times on my trip and it’s always slow, inattentive, disappearing servers (except at the end when they want a tip) - front desk people are direct like it’s some club. Everyone appears to be unhappy working there. Not friendly at all unlike LA ones.

I usually don’t write negative reviews, but I felt this experience needed to be shared—especially as someone who also works in the restaurant industry in San Francisco and truly understands how hospitality works. We visited for brunch on July 5 with a very special guest. I had made a reservation, but even though we arrived just a little late, it took 25 minutes just to get water. We had to wave our hands multiple times to get anyone’s attention, otherwise no one would come over. My guest was honestly shocked and asked, “Does it really take that long just to get water?” It was a slow day—many people were out of town—but the service felt very disconnected. I ordered Blue Label, and I was asked three different times by three different servers about the same order. In the end, my guest got so frustrated he declined it altogether. What’s even more disappointing is that I’m a regular customer, and I still received this kind of service. Despite everything, I still left a $60 tip because I understand how hard restaurant work can be, and I never want to hurt anyone’s feelings. But unfortunately, good service was definitely not delivered that day. I truly hope this feedback is taken as an opportunity to improve—not just for me, but for other guests as well. Consistency and attentiveness really matter, especially when people choose your place to host special moments.

The California Academy of Sciences, also known as Cal Academy, is a multifaceted natural history museum located in Golden Gate Park. It features an aquarium, planetarium, and hosts scientists conducting various research projects. The museum aims to regenerate the natural world through science and offers interactive exhibits on topics such as bug life, coral reefs, minerals, and deep-sea creatures.
Wow this place was awesome! A great place for all ages to enjoy. View dinosaur bones and many marine species. A Huge indoor atrium that is home to many different species of butterflies that fly everywhere around you...its quite an exciting experience. On the bottom level is the aquarium with many tanks with colorful fish and coral reefs. There is also a natural history museum with life size animals in picturesque settings. Wait there is more...A giant rooftop garden that overlooks golden gate park . This place has it all! Also I have to say we had lunch in the museum and it was very good tasting and fresh ingredients and many tables to sit and dine-in. All around 5 star experience i would absolutely recommend this place if you have small children...they will have an absolute blast here!!!!

Wonderful place to visit! Loved the jungle environment full of birds and butterflies. The planetarium exhibit was great. Lots of interactive exhibits. The aquarium is large and has a good variety of animals. Loved looking at the tide pools. The minerals and African exhibits are smaller but nice. Loved the penguins. They have a dining area with ok food. The large entrance moves people in quickly, especially if you bought your tickets in advance.

The California Academy of Sciences is an amazing place that we keep coming back to. It’s spacious and packed with so much to see and explore. One of our favorite parts is taking the elevator down from the rainforest to the aquarium—it’s such a fun transition. The large tank in the aquarium always captures our attention, and we can spend a long time just watching the marine life. Cloud, the white alligator, is absolutely adorable! The special dinosaur exhibits are always impressive and worth seeing, no matter how many times we’ve visited. We also love enjoying a meal in the cafeteria while looking at the dinosaur displays. The kids’ play area is so much fun that it’s hard to get the children to leave once they’re in. It’s truly a wonderful place that we never get tired of visiting.

Located at 55 Music Concourse Dr, San Francisco, this museum is a standout destination that combines science, sustainability, and immersive design. Inside, you’ll find a world-class aquarium, a planetarium with rotating shows, a four-story rainforest dome, and natural history exhibits—all under a living roof covered in native plants. The layout is intuitive, and interactive displays make it engaging for all ages. It’s a place where education meets wonder, and every corner offers something new to explore. Beyond the public exhibits, the Academy is also a working research institute, with scientists conducting studies in biodiversity, climate, and ocean health. The museum’s commitment to conservation is reflected in its programs and partnerships. Whether you're watching penguins feed, walking through a butterfly-filled rainforest, or learning about tectonic plates, the experience is both inspiring and informative.

Best museum I've ever been to. Great for people of all ages. Parking is $18 and tickets $50 unless you visit with a member, then it's only $5. We spent 2 hours here and didn't see everything. Highly recommend! There's something here for everyone.

AMAZING!! This place is full of entertainment for the whole family - wonderful and super fun interactive exhibits including unique and beautiful animals, planetarium, rain forest and much more! Currently there’s a dinosaurs’ exhibit which was fascinating for my boys :) This is a fun day or even two if you want to go through everything :) We had lunch at the cafeteria which was a good solution for us so we could take short break and keep enjoying the academy right afterwards. Highly recommended!!

Waterbar Restaurant is a stylish seafood spot located on the waterfront of San Francisco's Embarcadero. It offers unparalleled views of the Bay Bridge and Bay Lights, making it an ideal location for special occasions or treating out-of-town guests. The restaurant features a horseshoe-shaped bar and a patio with up-close views of the bay.
We had dinner here on a special occasion and were delighted with the entire experience. We had drinks and oyster starters and trout and lamb dishes as entrees. All items were well prepared and tasteful! The service was very courteous, friendly and efficient. In fact I had a query about the origin of the Trout Fish and it was explained very informatively by our steward. All in all we had a delightful dining experience!

We went to their happy hour for the $1.55 oyster. We ordered a dozen first to try if the oysters are fresh. YES. They are so fresh and tasty, so we ordered another dozen. The location is very good, you can see the bay bridge from the window. The aquarium in the restaurant is a plus. We also had reservation for dinner, they transferred us to dining tables with breathtaking views. We tried their Seared tuna, beef and lamb. The food was very tasty, but personally I like lamb chops better. The service was excellent. We will definitely come back.

I solo-tripped here for lunch and was impressed every step of the way. Chefs choice oysters were affordable and delicious. Flat Iron Steak was cooked perfectly to order, and the veggies and aioli were amazing as well. Old Fashioned was not too sweet, perfectly balanced. Zero complaints about the entire experience. Great food, great service, prices were right where they should be. Exactly what I hoped this experience would be.

It has the potential for more. The crab cocktail was nice and fish and chips were pretty good too. Oyster of the day was ho hum. Fresh but I didn’t like the flavour. They forgot one order and pretended like it was on the way 🙄 . Service was average. Very very average.

The first time I went to celebrate an anniversary and the first time I went to this restaurant Delicious food, beautiful restaurant, beautiful view, Great service The waiter He alway and asking, I booked a table about 2 weeks in advance before going. When I arrived at the restaurant, they gave a small card on the table with the staff's signature it’s very Cute 🥰 and fantastic , The restaurant very pays attention to details. They arranged the table to have the most beautiful view. A hundred million views and unforgettable impressions . Thank You So Much ❤️

Really enjoyed a happy hour snack here on the way from the airport. Highlight and what I’d go back for was the drinks and the oysters. The seafood bisque was rich and tasted of the sea but the crab cakes were pretty standard fried bar fare. The oysters and in particular the price on the oysters made this a bargain in what is otherwise a very posh space with great service. We were looking for seafood with a great view of the water and this delivered.

October 23, 2025- Thursday. Came to the Waterbar with my family for the first time during happy hour because we’d heard great things about their oyster special — and to be fair, the oysters were amazing. Super fresh, briny, and perfectly chilled. You could really taste the quality, and they were definitely the highlight of our visit. I’d honestly come back just for those. Unfortunately, everything else we ordered was kind of a letdown. We tried a soup (can’t remember the name), but it was bitter and just didn’t taste right — not something I’d recommend at all. The fish and chips sounded promising but were greasy and bland, like the fish had no seasoning and the batter was too heavy. The milky bread was another miss — dry, dense, and didn’t really pair well with anything. The service was also pretty inconsistent. When we first arrived, we were seated at the wrong table, and our first server seemed annoyed about it — definitely gave off “I don’t want to be here” vibes. It felt like he usually worked the non–happy hour section and wasn’t thrilled to have to reset a table for our larger group. Once we got moved to the correct happy hour section though, the vibe completely changed. The staff there were so much friendlier and more attentive, which helped make up for the rocky start. Overall, I’d say Waterbar is worth it if you’re here for oysters during happy hour, but that’s about it. The oysters are fantastic, but the rest of the food and service didn’t live up to the same standard.

We went to Waterbar to celebrate our first wedding anniversary, and it was honestly the BEST date we’ve ever had in all the years we’ve been together. I’m not exaggerating. The food was perfect, the wine was great, and the view of the Bay Bridge was absolutely beautiful. On top of that, the service was amazing — the whole team made us feel so special. This night will stay with us forever. Thank you, Waterbar, for making our anniversary unforgettable!!! ❤️

Macy's is a well-known department store chain offering a wide range of brand-name clothing, accessories, home furnishings, and housewares. The Macy's Men's Store in San Francisco provides five floors of men's fashion, from tailored suiting to casual wear. Additionally, the store features a Japanese-Peruvian restaurant with unique dining spaces. Despite some maintenance issues, the store offers a superb wine bar on the third floor with stunning views and excellent service.
This Macy's in downtown San Francisco is a great store. About five floors, with lots of merchandise. I have been coming to this location for more than ten years. I always have nice shopping experiences, and the employees are nice. Easy to get there taking public transportation. Sometimes they have sales. Good items and awesome customer service.

Macy’s in San Francisco, located right on Union Square, is a massive and iconic department store with several floors of shopping. We explored it during our visit and appreciated the wide variety of brands, from high-end fashion to affordable everyday wear. The store is clean, well-organized, and the staff were helpful. Tip: Don’t miss the upper floors for great views of Union Square, especially from the Cheesecake Factory on the top level. It’s a great spot for both shopping and relaxing in the heart of the city. A must-visit if you’re in downtown San Francisco!

I just want to give a big shout-out to Randy In the shoe department for his amazing customer service! The store was close to closing and really busy, but he still took the time to help me and several other customers find exactly what we were looking for. Even though I had some trouble finding my correct size, Randy was so patient, calm, and polite the entire time. He helped me find a great pair of shoes and made sure I left happy. He truly went above and beyond I’ll definitely be back because of the great service he provided.

Ms. Tanya Lekhtman the Benefit Counter Manager was so patient, friendly and supportive to help my wife find the right shades and right combinations of make up. She also gave us suggestions on products that were on offers. I wish all Sales people were as courteous as her. We wish Tanya all the very best!!

The staff here truly go above and beyond — always friendly, attentive, and ready to help you find exactly what you need. The visual displays are stunning, and the store feels festive and inviting year-round. I also appreciate how clean and well-maintained everything is, making the shopping experience so pleasant. Whether you’re here for a quick pickup or a full shopping day, Macy’s San Francisco makes it easy, enjoyable, and worth every visit. Highly recommeded!

We popped in to the 6-level Macy's building as a friend was looking for some pot or pan that was on sale. While not as imposing at the flagship monstrosity of NYC, I really liked the San Francisco store because its easier to navigate through. What set this location apart from the rest of the red star stores was the food court, AKA "Macy's Cellar" on the first level. While I've seen this concept done on much larger scales at Mistukoshi in Japan and Harrod's in London, I've yet to see another Macy's with something similar. It's not big with just 9 vendors, but it's better than nothing!
Maui T — Google review
This place is horrible..... I repeat "HORRIBLE"...... First of all there's transient people all over the store stealing stuff. Then asked me for money, and wouldn't take no for an answer. So I finally just gave him a couple bucks. I decided that this specific location wasn't gonna get my hard earned money and instead I felt the guy asking me for money needed it more. Hold on there's more. On my way out there was what I assumed security of some sort, and it was 3 males and this made me feel really bad in the moment for this other human being. The 3 security guards were saying some really cruel things to this individual. Now whether this human was stealing or not it's still NO EXCUSE TO TREAT ANOTHER HUMAN BEING LIKE THAT. Those are basically the bullet points. However there's so much more that I'm leaving out, because there's just not enough space for it all.

Chase Center, located in the Mission Bay neighborhood of San Francisco, is a state-of-the-art indoor arena that opened in 2019 and serves as the home of the NBA's Golden State Warriors. The venue hosts a variety of events, including basketball games and live concerts featuring renowned artists like Stevie Nicks and Bruce Springsteen.
Saw Lady Gaga on her MAYHEM tour at Chase Center. Sold out show, but there were tons of lines to get through security and it went extremely fast. Lots of bathrooms throughout, and they were clean and well-stocked with TP and paper towels. We saw tons of bars on the way to our seats and though drinks were expensive, they tasted good and the lines moved quickly. Our view of the concert was fantastic, which made up for the almost $500 per ticket. This was my first time seeing Lady Gaga and she BROUGHT it. You’re not just paying for the music, you’re paying for the entire experience. The lights, sounds, and props were all amazing and really add to the experience. I can’t wait for my next concert at Chase Center!

This place is the most modern stadium I have been to. It is stunning and you feel like you are in a spaceship! We went to a Warriors game and it was such a super vibe. I especially loved the barriers being glass which makes a huge difference to visibility. The staff all around the stadium we happy and helpful. There are a lot of food options and lines weren’t overly long. We were sitting pretty high up in the stands and it didn’t seem to matter the views are brilliant from all the seats. The scoreboard tech is amazing and there are extra screens everywhere - it all adds to the show. Getting in was really easy. The merchandise store is so cool. So many things I wanted to buy! Overall this is a must do when in San Fransisco.

Attended the Laver Cup tennis tournament at Chase Center and the venue was overall excellent. Extremely courteous, competent security & gate staff. Comfortable seats. Light show between sets/matches. Food was OK not what other reviews claim IMHO. Driver exit to Hwy 280/101 S smooth. Parking is an issue. SpotHero app is extremely helpful. But ad hoc turns needed to reach garages have barricades but no directions that you should actually drive past them and police staffing barriers are unhelpful.

The Chase Center in San Francisco is an incredible venue, especially for esports. I had the privilege of attending the League of Legends Worlds 2022 finals, and it was an unforgettable experience. The atmosphere was absolutely electric, with the crowd's energy making every moment, from the incredible opening ceremony to the five-game finals, a spectacle. The arena itself is modern and spacious, and the screen is massive, ensuring a great view no matter where you're sitting. While there was a long line to get in and for merchandise, the overall experience was well worth the wait. It was truly a perfect place to witness such a monumental event in esports history. I would recommend this venue to anyone, especially if you get the chance to see a major event like Worlds there.

I attended the Dua Lipa concert, and the experience was amazing! The Chase Center is a fantastic venue — clean, well-organized, and easy to navigate. Getting there was smooth too, though parking can be pretty pricey. I’d recommend planning ahead or considering public transport or rideshare instead 😉

This was my second time coming here. Earlier this year I saw Mary J Blige and now Lady Gaga this weekend. Easy access to your area where you are sitting, the staff and personnel were cordial. Food and atmosphere was relaxed and happy. Not so much stress from staff or other concert goers. The staff you can ask questions and they were happy to direct you. The only gripe I have is I wish they would accept cash at the registers for food and drinks. I would like to tip my bar tenders and food staff directly with cash and not on my card. I brought some specifically for it but I had to ask around for singles from a few so I can go back and tip directly to the staff a few dollars each. Since the staff only used a tablet to take payment I had to find staff who had already had some cash tips that small on hand. I understand the cashless society we are in now but it's still a form of acceptable payment. Until that goes away completely then it should be accepted. The view of the show was great and the exit was easy. Staff was able to show us out the exits and no craziness. Thank you for providing a CLEAN and safe atmosphere.

This facility is top notch. Clean, easy to navigate, with ample CLEAN bathrooms, and plenty of food vendors to choose from. If you arrive to your event early there is about 6 restaurants outside the arena you can grab a bite and wait. Or just take a walk on the property and enjoy the views.

Obviously beautiful. Steph hit a buzzer beater 3 that sent us to over time. As stadiums go this is very clean, easy to navigate with tons of exits. I took thr stair case down and was out of the building 3 minutes after getting up at the end of the game. They also have elevator access to 200 level seats. The merch store was well stocked and a fun visit

The San Francisco Ferry Building is a must-visit spot in the city. On Saturday mornings, it hosts a large farmers market where you can enjoy local fruits, vegetables, and pastries while taking in the waterfront views. You can also sign up for community-supported fisheries to have fresh fish delivered to your door or buy fish directly off the boat like the nearby pier restaurants do. The building itself houses shops, cafes, and bakeries both indoors and on its outside deck along the water.
You can take the nearby ferry to different cities across the bay. It’s super convenient and you do not have to worry about parking or traffic. The ride is smooth and you would not get sea sick. We had to slow down for a whale and it was so nice how the boat slowed down for the whale. It was cool seeing it come to the surface to breathe and give us a show. 10/10 would highly recommend the ferry.

Very popular and busy, in a good way! Outdoor and indoor food and produce market. Shops, cafes, and bakeries inside with patio seating on the outside deck along the water. The Palm Court at RH San Francisco is a recent addition to the city's dining scene, offering an opulent and lavish experience. The restaurant features tiered-glass chandeliers and towering palm trees, creating a sophisticated ambiance for those looking to dress up without feeling out of place. While the food may be on the pricier side, it offers an unforgettable experience for special occasions or those seeking a photogenic backdrop for their meals.
Incredible ambiance, service and bites. Went here before the Warriors game for a bite and was pleasantly impressed with the grandiose covered courtyard. Ornate marble and finishes everywhere they did not pinch Pennie’s when building this place! Service was prompt and extremely accommodating as we only had an hour to dine. Definitely more of a lunch place but you can definitely have dinner here. The Di Stefano Burrata & Mini Lobster Caviar rolls were incredible. Highly recommend and it is a good budget option yet delicious. For our mains we had the Chinese chicken salad which had some of the most succulent tender rotisserie chicken I have ever had, and the burger. I was not a huge fan of the burger but my appetite was also a bit off considering I had a few glasses of wine before it came out 🤣. Great experience, perfect place to bring someone for a special event. There are definitely some items on the menu I will be back to try.

Having visited the Napa and Toronto locations, I was excited for my first time at RH San Francisco. The ambiance, as expected, was stunning. What truly stood out was the exceptional service. From the doorman to the manager, everyone was incredibly friendly. Not only was our server attentive, but other staff members greeted us and offered to take photos—a rare display of teamwork in a restaurant, where servers typically focus solely on their own tables. Despite the busy Saturday night, the staff remained outstanding. The food was excellent; I highly recommend the steak. The space is beautiful yet unpretentious, with guests freely exploring the showroom, enjoying drinks, and creating a lively vibe. Unfortunately, the patio was closed by the time we wanted to visit. I look forward to trying the patio and brunch on a future visit. Given its popularity, extending weekend hours would be a great addition. A big thank you to the staff and manager for an unforgettable experience.

I came here for my birthday lunch and wow—what an unforgettable experience. I ordered the Fried Chicken Sandwich with Sweet Potato Fries, and I’m not exaggerating when I say it was one of the best fried chicken sandwiches I’ve ever had. Perfectly crispy on the outside, juicy and flavorful on the inside, with fresh, high-quality ingredients that made every bite worth savoring. The sweet potato fries? Equally amazing—crispy, warm, and just the right amount of seasoning. Yes, it’s on the pricier side (about $40 for the sandwich and fries), but honestly, you’re paying for more than just the food. The entire space is stunning. The decor is absolutely gorgeous elegant, serene, and stylish without being over the top. After lunch, I explored the rooftop on the fourth floor and was completely blown away. Beautifully designed seating areas, sculpted greenery, and views that make you want to stay all day. Whether you’re celebrating something special or just want to treat yourself, The Palm Court delivers. Worth every penny.

My family and I came to this restaurant to celebrate a sad event in our lives. And you know, the atmosphere is both sublime, pleasant, and a little antique, conducive to reflection (the statues and the noise of the fountain contribute). If it were not for such a sad moment in my life, I would come back here again. The service is excellent, the waiters are tactful and beautiful, the manager of the hall instantly changed the salad of the lady at the next table at her request, and having caught my sad look, a couple of minutes later came to our table and poured soda into our glasses - that is, everything is kept under control in the hall. Very precise work of the staff. The dishes are served quickly, elegantly. Very tasty avocado with caviar, sandwiches with lobsters. very tender and airy everything. Black caviar of excellent quality. The wine list is excellent. But there is no French vodka, which I needed in small quantities in accordance with my state of mind at that moment - here wine as an elegant drink did not suit me. If you want a fairy tale, romance, peace - this is the place for you, to this beautiful and pompous restaurant.

Super yummy! Simply amazing! Don't leave with out trying their chicken! Life changing! And if you're feeling adventurous have someone order the waffles. The combination of the two - words can not express!

We came here for my sister’s bridal shower, and this place definitely delivers on the bougie vibes—think fountain centerpiece, marble everywhere, and high-end furniture you admire but absolutely cannot (and will not) justify buying. It’s kind of wild eating lunch in what feels like a very fancy furniture showroom, but it somehow works. The space is beautiful and makes for a great special occasion spot. Service was friendly and warm, which made the experience feel more relaxed and welcoming. Food-wise, it was fine. I had the roasted chicken with arugula—the chicken was cooked well but could’ve used a bit more seasoning. The truffle fries were the standout for me—crispy, flavorful, and just indulgent enough. Overall, this is more about the aesthetic and experience than a must-try foodie destination. But for a celebration or a fancy girls’ day out? Totally worth it.

My hubby and I came here to celebrate our wedding anniversary and this place is magical. It is so lovely inside and it gets so romantic in the evening. The service is great the food is very good as well. Our only issue was finding parking. It took us 25 minutes to find parking and we had to pay $50 for parking due to a special event that was happening near by.

City park
Located atop the Salesforce Transit Center in downtown San Francisco, Salesforce Park is a 5.4-acre urban oasis offering a unique green space with lush landscaping and panoramic city views. The park features an array of attractions including a children's playground, jogging track, public artwork, and a sensor-activated fountain. With its grassy lawns, amphitheater, and sinuous walking trail, it provides a tranquil escape for visitors to relax and enjoy nature.
This place is absolutely beautiful. It is a gem in the heart of San Fransisco perched atop a beautiful bus terminal and filled with exotic plants from all over the world. When I was there it was pretty empty, but I can see this place being packed on the weekends and holidays. Well worth the visit for a peaceful break from the busy city life. Check out the fountains that go off every time a bus drives by and the beautiful views of the surrounding area. Kudos to the maintenance staff and all the hardworking groundskeepers who keep that place perfect. 😊🙌🏼

Salesforce Park is a surprisingly peaceful and beautiful oasis right above the hustle of San Francisco’s Financial District. The elevated garden sits atop the Salesforce Transit Center and feels like a hidden rooftop retreat with lush greenery, flowers, walking paths, and quiet seating spots scattered throughout. I loved wandering through the different plantings and admiring the art installations that blend nature and creativity in such a seamless way. There are shaded loungers, sculptural benches, and even little terraced lawns that feel calming and well maintained. It makes for a perfect midday break or a relaxing spot to enjoy lunch outside when the office district is too busy. The views are nice too. I could peek over the treetops to see the surrounding buildings and catch glimpses of the city skyline beyond. Plus the outdoor public spaces make it feel open and inviting rather than tucked away. It is one of those unexpected gems in the city where you can take a moment to slow down even while surrounded by downtown energy.

Salesforce Park aka “East Cut Rooftop” 😇a 5.4 acre public park on rooftop of the Salesforce Tower is consisted of 61 floors (height at 1070 ft) and the rooftop (roof height at 912 ft) that was built in 2017 on formerly known as “Transbay Transit Center” located on Mission and First streets in The City. [*Note: Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff a San Francisco native grew up in Hillsborough area in 2018 briefly opened up his “family room” on the top floor known as the “Ohana Floor” to the general public.] While The park is beautifully designed and landscaped runs the entire length of the Transit Center’s nearly four-street-block length, a walkable glass floor, a curved walking trail circling the rooftop lined with grassy lawns and benches, dancing fountains, a children’s play area, a main plaza that can host special events such as fitness or elderly dancing classes, and an amphitheater is said to hold 1,000 guests on glass lawn. Also, there is a free gondola ride that takes you from (or to) ground level to the park operated with certain schedules, which is unremarkable imhv. The park is also the home to “600 trees and 16,000 plants arranged in 13 different botanical feature areas,” according to the Transbay Joint Powers Authority (TJPA), a joint exercise of powers authority created by the City and County of San Francisco and other Bay Area transit authorities. ⚠️Rooftop Park Hours: May 1 - October 31 | 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. / November 1 - April 30 | 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. 🐾🐶Service Dogs Only. ⚠️Muni buses line 5, 5R, 7, 14, 14R, 38, 38R, F, J, K, L, M, N, S, T, Golden Gate Transit 101, 130 & 150, SamTrans 292, BART. Very unique rooftop park open to the public. The gondola was not working when we visited but the escalator and elevators were. Lots of interesting fauna and a beer garden with a large selection of beers on tap. An enjoyable break from the city below.

Salesforce Park in San Francisco is a hidden gem in the heart of the city. Elevated above the Transit Center, it’s a beautifully designed green space with walking paths, gardens, seating areas, and even a children’s play zone. I visited with my family and we loved the peaceful atmosphere and skyline views. It’s perfect for a relaxing stroll, a quick break, or enjoying nature in the middle of downtown. Clean, safe, and well-maintained—a great spot for all ages!

Every time I come into 'Frisco I come down Fremont Street and see this floating park surrounded by skyscrapers. I'm glad I finally got a chance to visit. It definitely didn't disappoint, if you like trees, flowers, bushes, PLANTS in general this is a great place to experience plants from around the world. I love how they are categorized, the concepts are informative. Shows you what plants you are looking at and where they're from and located on the park. There's a lot of places to have a coffee break and it's lovely to see security around taking care of this place. Also I didn't mention it was a bus terminal?! You'll definitely have a great time here after arriving or before leaving.

This is a nice park to walk and picnic in the middle of the city of skyscrapers. Very peaceful park on the third floor/roof top of Saleforce interchange for buses. There are variety of plants, flowers and trees from different parts of the world. There is a gondola to ride down. Also playground in the middle, cafe, seats, benches and public restrooms.

An incredible spot in San Francisco! ✨ It’s hard to believe at first that this is a rooftop park. So beautiful and unique — with different plants, walking paths, and fountains. The kids loved the playground, while adults enjoyed strolling around and relaxing. Restrooms are available, which makes it comfortable even for a longer visit. I really liked that dogs are welcome and there are areas for picnics — it feels like a cozy city garden, but high above the ground surrounded by skyscrapers!

Creativity Explored is a nonprofit center and gallery in the Mission District that showcases the unique and inspiring artwork created by local artists with developmental disabilities. The studio and gallery space not only provides a platform for these artists to express themselves but also offers their creations for sale, including colorful prints, one-of-a-kind gifts, and local artwork. The themes of the artworks range from monsters to Morse code, reflecting the diverse creativity of the artists.
Personally I must say this place is a ray of hope for artists with disabilities. This place holds art gallerys for young artists to sell their master pieces. It has a gift shop when you walk in. In the back is music, artists with their art. It's fun I suggest to look up they do help the community.
Amanda B — Google review
I love Creativity Explored. Of the three sister disability arts programs, including Creative Growth and NIAD, Creativity Explored has the best art because its artists are provided the best resources—working artists who teach classes, a library of art books, field trips to galleries, museums, and artist studios, and art school quality art materials. Consequently, the art is of a higher technical and artistic caliber than the work created by artists at the other programs. Many pieces are stunning in their execution and affordable. I highly recommend Creativity Explored!

This place is one of the most rewarding stops you can make if you are in the Mission District of San Francisco. The gallery showcases inspiring and superbly crafted art from the participants in the workshops and classes they have their throughout the week, and the instructors and staffers are engaging, Kind and superb teaching artists. It’s one of those non-profits that has a pure spirit of compassion, joy and community that it pervades every corner of the building and if you have a chance to visit it and learn about its mission, you will get a sense of the alternative undercurrent of arts/grassroots community-building that defines San Francisco in contrast to the Financial and Tech facade that gets all the media attention.

This is such a magical and unique place! The studio itself a great institution that really changes the lives of the people that work there. Visitors who come in on weekdays can see all the artists working in the studio right behind the gallery and sometimes have the opportunity to meet them too! The work is very reasonably priced and if you browse for a little while I guarantee you'll find something you love! Staff is friendly and helpful as well...definitely one of San Francisco's underrated gems.

On weekends, you can visit the gift shop and studio area. I suggest it. The organization works with adults who have cognitive differences, and art allows them too have a career selling their art and gives them something thoughtful and engaging during the week. To be honest, I feel like there are dozens of items, almost all originals, that I wanted to buy. JP McKenzie's works stood out the most to me. Still, the studio shorts 130+ adults during the year, and it's goal of helping these individuals with income and engagement is fantastic. Definitely a place to visit and buy some artwork.

Creativity Explored is a cool center where you can come see some amazing art. This is a center for those with developmental disabilities to express themselves through the use of art. The pieces are unique and there are a lot of items that can be purchased. We walked only around the lobby area where items were displayed on the walls but we were invited to go back into a larger room where work was being completed. A fabulous place to come and an even greater purpose.

Located on the popular northern tip of San Francisco, The Battery offers an exclusive and chic experience. This private club features 14 luxurious industrial-style bedrooms adorned with bold art and plush velvet, creating a New York exclusivity vibe with a San Francisco crowd. The in-house restaurant 717B serves bar-style food paired with an extensive Californian wine list. Tucked behind shade trees, the blond-brick building exudes an air of mystery and exclusivity.
I had so much fun here. My friends have membership, we are their invited guests. There are so many bars and quiet corners where we can sit down and talk. What a lovely place. And I love my fillet mignon and fresh oysters.

On Nov 3 (4:45 pm ish), husband had a meeting with a banker at the Battery club space. Upon entering the space, the hostess was very rude and dismissive stating "this is a private club." He told her he was aware this space is "private" and there for a meeting after which she told me to wait in the lobby. We will never join based on this encounter as a guest of a member! Do better!

We were invited to dinner at the Battery’s main restaurant by a member this week and everything about the meal and ambiance was perfect. The food and service were impeccable and I particularly liked the crowd and the vibe of this private club. Hopefully we get invited to go back and enjoy the club.

Discover The Third Floor, a hidden gem at The Jay, Autograph Collection in Downtown. This cozy terrace is adored by locals and tourists alike for its plush seating, fire pits, and full bar. Unwind with expertly crafted cocktails and seasonal delights while taking in panoramic views of the iconic SF skyline. Guests have been impressed by the excellent service, delicious food offerings, and personalized touches like handwritten cards from servers.
Hands down the best service from our host Rafael to start the new year. He was very friendly and professional. We made reservations for their brunch offering at 2pm and little did we know that the kitchen closes at 2:30pm. So when we arrived, Rafael explained in detail everything to us to ensure we made the most of our brunch experience. They close and prep the kitchen for their dinner offerings starting at 5pm but he said we can stay in the dinning room area for as long as would like. Our entire party was not there yet however he seated us and explained to us that as long as we get orders in before 2:30pm he will get our food out to us. So we placed some drink and food orders and texted our on the way party the menu so they can put an order in too. Rafael never rushed us and was so polite. His service is what stood out during our brunch experience. For the food we ordered: The burgers and fries which were really juicy. Little gems salad was very tasty. Pork belly eggs Benedict was ok. I bet if the pork belly was a whole piece rather than chopped up it would have been better. That came with crispy potatoes. The French toast and omakase were ok. Small portions for the black cod but overall can see the dish to be filling. Wanted more cod. Can’t wait to go back to experience the outdoor seating. Overall outstanding service.

I found a little gem! The food is fresh and absolutely delicious — I had a salad and a mushroom omelet, and everything was perfect. The coffee is also excellent; they use beans from Equator Coffee Company, which really takes things to the next level. What really stood out to me was the atmosphere and design. The space is modern, with lots of thoughtful details. Light wood adds a cozy touch, and the big windows bring in so much natural light — it feels bright and welcoming. The staff are incredible: very attentive, thoughtful, and genuinely kind. They made sure I was comfortable the whole time and were lovely to talk to. You can sit inside or enjoy your meal out on the patio, which feels like a peaceful escape right in the middle of the city. Surrounded by plants and with a beautiful view, it felt like I was on vacation. What I loved most is that this place still feels like a hidden secret — perfect if you’re looking for a bit of calm, some privacy, and a great meal away from the rush of the city.

Tldl: Avoid This place is owned by the Omakase group, from the very famous Omakase restaurant. Went to the “all you can eat yakitori”, was a mistake I wish I will not have done. I really would like to understand how a professional of the industry can have though it will be a good idea of mixing a “all you can drink” baby shower, with regular customer. After our “host” bring us to our “sofa” please read sofa, as I have no space to put any plate later on…, leaving us with a precise element: Order drinks to waiter or go to the outside bar… to the outside bar I went, my mistake it was. A bench of drunk baby shower customers ordering 1 then 3 then 5 drinks and then insulting me on my back, thinking I will not understand their own language because I am white…. Hum my few years in China and other part of Asia told me a lot. I understand you don’t choose your customers , but you chooses are to continue to serve them or not. Was with my 15 years old girl, starting to be less and less comfortable. To the point to refren her from going back to the buffet area. The poor service did not get better, we try to order multiple of pricy bootle, none of them were available. When the margin on each bottle is more than 100% (yep have been sommelier for few decades) it’s a disgrace. Really would like the Omakase group to contact me privately to help me to understand why I paid to feel so uncomfortable for 2 hours. When I got insulted, I stay calm and did not make a scene… should I have, so your (absent) team is understanding the poor choice they made? Will avoid this place, when we debrief with my party, the first comment was “they are scrapping for money” kinda of a désillusion for a group and restaurant I did respect. Will have been more than happy to give this feedback live…. No one asked us how have been our experience tho 😬. Should I mentioned the 1inch of water and the 3 cube of ice that came 30 minutes after our white wine bottle. For the price of the place? Again this is a disgrace.

My boyfriend and I came here for a nice brunch date after reading great reviews and being drawn to the Japanese-inspired menu. Unfortunately, our experience was just okay. Even though we had a reservation, we still waited about 20 minutes—and the restaurant was only half full. I ordered the omakase set, which included rice, miso soup, corn arugula salad, miso cod, pickles, and two soft poached eggs. The miso soup had an odd sweet flavor, the pickles lacked any real taste, and the poached eggs were bland and under-seasoned. The miso cod was delicious, but the portion was tiny—just two small slices for $28. My boyfriend ordered the pork belly Benedict and was also disappointed. The dish was unexpectedly sweet, and the pork belly was ground instead of sliced, which took away from the texture and flavor. The atmosphere was great, but overall the food and value didn’t live up to the hype. We wouldn’t go back.
Louise — Google review
Went for dinner on Saturday night. The main dishes were hit or miss — pasta was good but maybe lacked salt/cheese and finished quite oily. The duck soup was fantastic, and the burger was OK. But the real standouts were the desserts! People should be coming here just for the desserts. It’s as if they have a dedicated pastry chef. The pavlova was perfectly balanced and had nice textural contrasts. The tart was creative, also with textures, and had enough fun elements to keep us eating. We will probably come back and give the nicer entrees a shot.

I was there for a work conference and my stay was booked in Jay hotel. I loved the ambience and their cocktail collection. My personal favorite is the location. Amidst all tall structures, this is a lovely shorter location. Definitely recommend trying this out.

I recently visited The Third Floor for their all-you-can-eat yakitori, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The yakitori selection was excellent, with every skewer cooked to perfection tender, juicy, and full of flavor. There was a good variety too, from chicken, beef, shrimp and some other options. Staff were outstanding! They were friendly, attentive, and always ready to recommend their favorites or top up drinks. You can tell they genuinely cared about making sure everyone has a good time.

This restaurant is the main attraction inside this Autograph Collection hotel (Jay hotel). The menu is fusion with lots of Japanese-inspired dishes. Try the fried chicken/tonkatsu sandwich with coleslaw and the duck soup. The hummus spread was also delicious, and the root salad is very exotic. Service is very attentive despite being such a large space. Decor is beautiful and matches the look of the hotel.

25 Lusk hosted my wife and I as well as our family for our wedding dinner! We booked a private room for dinner and they were able to fully customize our menu and all of our special requests (including allergies). The staff truly went the extra mile and allowed us to bring them our wedding cake the day before. They were a joy to work with before and during our ceremony, and we could not have asked for a better atmosphere for our wedding night! Next time we are in San Francisco we will certainly be back and recommend you check them out as well!

A great experience. Went for a private event but the service was great and the food was an experience. Everything was delicious. I didn’t take pictures of everything I ate. I enjoyed the bread rolls that had potatoes on them. I had the short ribs which were very tender and flavorful. I don’t usually like octopus but I ordered it for my starter salad and it was cooked perfectly. I also thought the service staff was very attentive and thoughtful about how they handled our large party. They made a great vegan alternative for someone in our party and she was very happy. It was off menu.

My brother had an intimate wedding dinner here and Needless to say, we will be recommending this place. The people here are great. Everyone so warm and welcoming, doing their job with great delight. The chef and the wait staff just impeccable. I have lots to say about everyone, but the lady called ‘Mel’ was exceptional, kind and remarkably helpful throughout the set up. People do their job nicely, but others go out of their way to make guest feel comfortable. The food was fantastic and the steak went out really fast, a testament to how good it was. Overall, wonderful night/experience. Thank you, Mathew and Mel❤️

Went for dinner- found the online menu differs from what is really offered. All they serve is small plates. I mean small!! In addition, it’s very limited, and drinks are the size of a shot. I ordered a dirty martini- don’t do it, they charge extra for the vermouth! Really?? The food was a bite size portion of each except the cauliflower. This place is a rip off. Can’t believe they mislead you online. DO NOT DINE HERE! The servers are rude. Can’t believe they could hold face serving what they serve. You get a bite of food for the price of a meal! Opt for the rooftop instead- they have real food and drinks.
