Observation Decks & Towers
The Calgary Tower is a towering landmark offering breathtaking panoramic views from its glass-floored observation deck and revolving restaurant. Situated in the heart of downtown Calgary, it provides stunning vistas of the city's rivers, parks, and surrounding areas. The observation deck offers a 360-degree view of the bustling city, the majestic Rocky Mountains, foothills, and prairies. It's an ideal spot for a romantic evening or to pop the question with its spectacular views and vibrant atmosphere.
Visited the Calgary Tower Observatory while downtown, and the views from the top are fantastic — you can see the entire city and the mountains. The elevator ride is smooth and fast, and there’s plenty of space on the observation deck to walk around and take photos. The glass floor section is a fun addition if you’re feeling adventurous. The staff were friendly and helpful, though I do think tickets could be a bit cheaper for the experience. Overall, still a must-visit spot for anyone wanting a great perspective of Calgary.
Ian M — Google review
The Calgary Tower is a great way to get a full view of the city. The observation deck gives you a 360° look at Calgary and the Rocky Mountains on a clear day. The glass floor is a fun experience and makes for some great photos. The staff are friendly, and the elevator ride to the top is smooth and quick. The visit itself doesn’t take too long unless you plan to eat at the restaurant, but it’s still worth it for the views and the unique perspective of the city. Tickets are a little expensive for the short time you spend there, but it’s one of Calgary’s most iconic landmarks and a nice stop if you’re exploring downtown.
Fayaz K — Google review
Wow stunning views. And going at sunset is highly recommended! The mountains are a perfect with the sun setting behind them! Food was fantastic! It's so beautiful to see the lights of the city light up below! We went after a long day of travelling and sightseeing so we were casually dressed, but you can dress up super fancy too! It was great!
Denika D — Google review
My visit to the Calgary Tower during a day trip to Calgary was a memorable highlight, offering breathtaking 360-degree views of the city that truly showcased its charm. On a cloudless, sunny day, the conditions were ideal, revealing the distant Rocky Mountains and the urban expanse in stunning clarity. The observation deck, enriched with informative displays identifying key buildings, added an educational layer to the experience, making it both engaging and insightful. The ambiance was pleasant, and the tower stands as a notable tourist attraction in downtown Calgary, with a unique glass floor section that, while smaller than anticipated, provided a thrilling perspective. However, the experience was tempered by certain drawbacks. The tower, while iconic, shows signs of aging and is dwarfed by newer, taller skyscrapers, which slightly diminishes its grandeur The cost—approximately $75 for two, including parking and admission—a bit too steep. The viewing deck offers a decent panorama, but the surrounding skyline is less striking than expected. Overall, the Calgary Tower is well worth a visit for its unparalleled views and historical significance, particularly for first-time visitors to Calgary. Its combination of scenic beauty, informative displays, and cozy ambiance makes it a rewarding stop, best enjoyed on a clear day.
Jeremie M — Google review
The Calgary Tower turned out to be an excellent stop on our trip. Admission is roughly half the price of Toronto’s CN Tower, and since the Calgary Tower is about half the height, it feels like a perfect trade-off—great value without compromising the experience. We timed our visit for around sunset and it couldn’t have been better. The views of downtown Calgary, the Bow River, and the Rockies glowing in the evening light were absolutely stunning. From the glass floor to the 360-degree panorama, every angle offered something memorable. Overall, the Calgary Tower provides amazing scenery and a fair price point that makes it easy to recommend. If you can, plan your visit for sunset—you’ll catch the city at its most beautiful.
Kenneth G — Google review
It was definitely worth going once! You get to see the city from a view point that’s quite amazing. However it is super important to figure out what time you should go there. I wouldn’t go again though because I do not think the ticket prices are worth multiple visits.
Viraj M — Google review
We didn't buy the ticket to the top but we had a dinner in 360 sky restaurant at the top of the tower. The foods were out of the world and the price was right for a sky tower restaurant. We spent $200 incl tips there, while we spent $500 in Look up tower restaurant in Vancouver, ever the foods here much better than Vancouver. We don't have to wear fancy dress here, casual is okay.
Siska — Google review
What an incredible experience! The 360° views from the observation deck are absolutely breathtaking - you can see all of downtown Calgary spread out below, and the Rocky Mountains in the distance are simply stunning. The glass floor was definitely a highlight - a bit nerve-wracking at first, but such a fun and unique experience once you work up the courage to step on it! This is a must-visit attraction when exploring downtown Calgary. The views alone are worth the trip, and it's a perfect way to get your bearings and see the city from a completely different perspective. Highly recommend for visitors and locals alike.

We recently had our wedding here end of August- and it was absolutely spectacular in every way. I would also like to mention out of many Fairmont franchises throughout Canada, this location in Calgary has the best food, our guests could not stop going on about how amazing the food was at our wedding. The staff, the venue layout, the service, the FOOD-it was incredible. It is also so gorgeous inside, especially with the new renovations. I highly recommend staying here or planning an event, there are so many rooms to utilize through out the hotel. Nicole was incredible to work with, she always got back to me right away via email and phone calls and went above and beyond for us in every way possible. She also was so kind and caring the day of to help with nerves and accessing all of our different hotel rooms. I highly recommend staying here and enjoying this historic hotel downtown Calgary, or even hosting events- it's very special, with a superb staff, an opulent atmosphere and guaranteed fun times :)

Our experience at the Fairmont Palliser left nothing for wanting...it was the perfect way to celebrate our anniversary. Our suite was gracious and inviting, with a bed and linens that felt like pure luxury. The in-room music station, complete with LPs, added a touch of nostalgia that set such a memorable tone for our stay. The Gold Floor is simply the best. We love the private lounge, the peace, the view, the carefully chosen beverages, snacks, and delightful evening canapés. Having a breakfast buffet in the Gold Lounge is another fabulous perk that makes the experience feel even more special. the location is right in the heart of Calgary and afforded us so many options for dining and shopping. Most of all, we cannot rave enough about the staff. Their attention to detail, genuine kindness, and thoughtful accommodations ensured our stay was everything we hoped for and more. We found ourselves looking forward to our interactions and seeing their smiling faces throughout the day. Everyone worked in sync to make us feel special and appreciated. We leave very satisfied and very grateful. The Fairmont Palliser made our anniversary celebration unforgettable.

As most Fairmont, this place is overrated, overpriced and need serious renovations. I don't know where to start. Lobby is obviously nice. However, the bar is a total scam. The bartender was more busy flirting with middle-aged client than actually acknowledging the presence of a 31 years old professional. Not even talking about the price. A pint of beer is $15 were you could easily buy one anywhere else for $5-7. The room was clean but the shower didn't work properly. The power outlet were also not working properly, and don't even think about finding an integrated USB wall outlet, or integrated in the furniture like it is the case in most hotels these days. I was lucky enough for having a room that was facing the street. However, many clients end up with a room facing the railway, unable to sleep properly. Some of my friends ask for a late check-out. When they rushed to their room to pick up their luggage, their keys were all disactivated. All that for what? Over $300 a night? Do yourself a favour : save yourself some money, go to the Marriott or Le Germain, and stop by the lobby because it is actually the only good reason to go to the Fairmont Palliser.

Excellent location, right beside the Calgary Tower. Walking distance to a lot of attractions in downtown. I really enjoyed the stay because the service was exceptional. Even at midnight, things get fixed efficient and in a timely manner. I really wanted to express my gratitude to the royal service night manager Georgina and in room dining server Robert for their exceptional care and speedy responses. Every need was attended to, even at late night. Once again, thank you, and kind regards

We stayed at the Palliser on the Gold Floor Aug 22-25. The room had a large washroom and seating area. The bed was super comfy. The breakfast and dinner dishes were incredible. So fresh and so many choices. We ate at the Hawthorn and it was happy hour. We got 25 percent off the steak, burger and Brussel sprouts. My creamsicle cocktail was delicious!

Wonderful stay for our first time in Calgary. After a booking error they swiftly upgraded us and moved our items while we were out. Jameson was super helpful keeping me posted via text. The gold level was a great experience and worth the extra cost. It includes a lovely penthouse lounge with breakfast and evening snacks. Sammy was also exceptional but the whole staff was friendly and outstanding. Location is perfect, I self parked and never needed the car for 4 days.

So fortunate we got to spend a night here on our Vacation. Sad part is that it was only one night. This place is first class. The history and ambiance is off the hook. Next trip to Calgary and we will be staying here. Gold rooms are spacious and so well appointed. The Gold Reception area and Gold Studio on the top floor makes this place a five star package you won't forget. Great food in the morning and evenings are available to Gold Room attendees, and these treats are great! The hotel staff from the front door through management is exceptional. I am impressed with this property and we stay at Fairmonts when possible. This is Calgary's finest hotel. A+ all the way! We will be back :)

The hotel provides on-site kids programs and amenities such as separate rooms for parents and children, a heated pool with a waterslide and downtown views, a fitness center, free Wi-Fi, and a spa.
Amazing stay at the Sheraton Suites! The location was amazing, especially because we had our dog with us who enjoyed the close proximity to Prince's Island Park for walks. The staff were always so friendly and helpful, making our visit very comfortable. Our hotel room was clean and had everything we needed for our visit. Couldn't recommend staying here enough!

This is our favorite place to stay when we're in Calgary! The rooms are clean, we get club lounge access which is a fantastic bonus for the pop and snacks. Staff are always so friendly, and the pool area is nice. Valet staff are amazing too. The location is great, we love going to Joey for dinner because it's right across the street. Can't say enough good things about this hotel, we will continue to bring our business here.

I was in Calgary for a few days for work . And I can confidently say that it’s one of the best hotels I have ever experienced. From the moment I walked in, the staff was welcoming and attentive. The catering was fantastic , specially one staff, sorry I forgot her name and lost her business card( she’s a Filipina) she’s so kind and accommodating, knowing that I don’t eat meat, she prepared food specially for me. What stood out for me during my stay was the exceptional service from the housekeeping Director and team (Anja and Phan). There was a mishap when I ordered my room service , the Tabasco sauce container wasn’t closed properly that when I took it out the bag, it splattered all over my white pants . They tried to dry clean but it’s mostly ruined, and, then they offered a similar pants to replace and sent it to me here in British Columbia where I live. I couldn’t be more grateful. They all went above and beyond. It’s rare to see such commitment to guest satisfaction. It speaks volumes about the hotel’s values and professionalism of the staff members. Overall, I highly recommend Sheraton Suites Calgary Eau Claire not only for their luxurious amenities but also for its outstanding customer service. If you’re looking for a place where the staff truly cares, this is it!

To start with the good, the location in Calgary was amazing and the staff was great to deal with. The bad, the hotel room we had booked was filled so we either had to pay more for a nice room or take a different room layout with no bath. We took the no bath option, just a stand up shower. The room only had seating for over person to eat. The shower flooded the whole bathroom, when I called the front desk they called a maintenance person that had said it was normal dew to poor quality renovations and the building knows about it. I really wish they told me that when I had swapped from a room without a bath. The headboard on the bed was scratched up. There is only included parking is you live in Alberta, otherwise valet costs an additional $50 (not a negative, as I am from Alberta, but not clearly noted beforehand)

A year ago, my husband and I hosted both our engagement party and wedding reception at Sheraton Suites Eau Claire, and to say the experience was amazing would be an understatement. From the very beginning, Anna, the Executive Meeting Manager, worked seamlessly with our wedding planner and family, going above and beyond to accommodate every detail of our vision; from the menu to the venue decorations. Both celebrations were unforgettable, and our stay at the hotel for a few nights was just as wonderful. The rooms, the food, and the service were all exceptional, and our families who stayed over the weekend shared the same glowing feedback. Just last week, we returned to celebrate our one-year anniversary, and once again, the Sheraton team made it a truly memorable experience. We were greeted with thoughtful gifts in our room, enjoyed an incredible dinner at Flower & Wolf (the bison short rib and seafood tagliatelle were unreal!), and ended the weekend with a lovely breakfast. Everyone we encountered was so warm and attentive, but a few standouts deserve special mention: Allan at the reception desk, Victor at Valet, and of course, Anna for helping us plan our anniversary stay. Thank you again for making our stay and celebrations so amazing! Sheraton Suites Eau Claire will always hold a special place in our hearts, and we look forward to returning for many years to come.

This hotel is beautiful, the location couldn't get any better for enjoying some of the fun Calgary has to offer. The promenade by the river is so incredible, what a beautiful spot. Lots of restaurants around, short walk over from Stephens Avenue, which is so much fun any day of the week. The amenities in the hotel are wonderful as well, fantastic gym, nice pool and hot tub, all the staff are very nice. Valet parking only but there is a pay parking lot right out the front door which can be more convenient depending how busy the hotel is. Quiet rooms, very clean. Cant wait to come back and enjoy again!

Stayed here during a short Calgary trip and it was a solid pick. The location’s great—right by the river and walking distance to downtown spots. Rooms are spacious and clean, with a separate living area that’s handy if you’re working or just want to spread out. Service was friendly and check-in was smooth. The pool area is a nice bonus, especially if you’re traveling with kids. Not super flashy, but reliable and comfortable. Would recommend for both business and leisure stays.

I would like to express my sincere appreciation to the Sheraton Eau Claire for providing such a delightful experience during my stay. As my preferred hotel in Calgary, I found the location to be exceptionally convenient, with a variety of fantastic restaurants within easy walking distance. The rooms were spacious and impeccably clean, and the staff exemplified the true meaning of exceptional customer service. I am also grateful for the recognition of my Titanium Bonvoy membership, which is a level of appreciation that is not always extended at other Marriott properties. Achieving this status represents considerable dedication, and the Sheraton Eau Claire certainly fulfilled the promised perks and upgrades. I certainly look forward to returning in the future.

Nestled in downtown Calgary, the Best Western Plus Suites Downtown offers a convenient and budget-friendly stay for travelers. Situated near the vibrant 17th Avenue, guests can easily access entertainment, shopping, and dining options. The hotel features spacious condo-style suites catering to various needs, from cozy studios for romantic getaways to larger family suites with one or two bedrooms. Couples can indulge in the Queen Room with a hot tub and kitchenette for a memorable vacation experience.
First, I want to thank the staff at the Front Desk, especially Abhi. They were super friendly, very respectful but, most importantly, very helpful and flexible in ensuring our stay was comfortable. Thank you! Now, about the good and the bad. The good was that the room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The bad was that there was not much soundproofing and the drapes were a bit dirty. There was even a fire alarm that happened during our stay. Overall, it was a great stay at Best Western and would happily recommend this hotel. We had a fun and memorable time in Calgary. If we visit Calgary again in the future, we'll definitely stay here!

Booked online and everything went smoothly. Check was great - super pleasant and helpful. Downtown location was great and they provided underground parking at no extra charge. I stayed with my daughter so they even had the sofa bed out and ready for us. The only thing that needed attention was the breakfast; rubber egg omelettes, the make your own waffles and coffee - no real selection of cereals or fresh fruit. Even the defrosted frozen fruit to go with yogurt was empty and didn’t get replaced until we were leaving. I would still stay again though - based on proximity and how great the front desk staff was.

I just recently (September 20-22) stayed here and had a pretty terrible experience. Myself, my mom and my two kids were booked in for 2 nights. The first night of our stay the fire alarm went off at 2am. By the time we made it all the way to the lobby they inform us it was a false alarm and said we could go back to our rooms. We really thought it would just be a story of unfortunate circumstances about the one time the fire alarm went off in the hotel. Unfortunately that was not the case... The second night of our stay, around 10:30pm as my mom and I were just preparing to go to bed for the night and the fire alarm went off AGAIN. I quickly scooped up my kids and made our way downstairs and out to the parking lot where we stood for about 15 minutes as the fire department showed up, checked out the situation and then informed us it was another false alarm and we were okay to return to our rooms. We returned to our rooms, I was just settling my kids when the fire alarm went off once again. Once again, I scooped up and ran down the stairs with two kids, waited for the fire department to arrive to be told be told it was yet another false alarm. Enough was enough for us, my mother and I packed up our suitcase and my two traumatized kids at 11:30pm and drove the 2.5 hours home as we were not going to stay there any longer. My mom (who booked the room) has yet to reach out to the hotel but I spoke with the front desk agent last night about contact information for the manager and mentioned that I am expecting some sort of compensation/reimbursement for this ordeal. At that time it did not sound that promising from him. I will update my review when my mom has heard back from the hotel. Hopefully an agreement can be reach and we can be compensated in some sort of way, especially, since we didn't even spend a full second night at the hotel. Very unfortunate situation and I will not be staying at this hotel again, nor recommending anyone else stay there. *Updated to reply to the response on my review* -while our stay still wasn't the best my mom was credited for one night of our stay by the hotel. The manager pologized profusely and stated that all the incidents were caused by vaping. I have given the hotel one more star in kind to the good customer service. Unfortunately, due to the actions of individuals it was just not a good stay. The hotel itself it's clean and would be a good place to stay if it weren't for the fire alarm

I appreciated the level of service and the extra effort the front desk girl put into making guests feel welcome. However, during a busy time with a lineup, I felt like some guests were given more attention than others, which can be tricky when there’s a wait. It was also funny to hear being asked for Google reviews by name, as it’s something I’ve never encountered before and felt a bit uncomfortable. While I understand the importance of feedback, it’s always best when it comes naturally. The hotel’s location was awesome, and nevertheless, I had a good stay and will come back again.

Great guestroom : large in size , comfortable bed & bedding / linens , nice kitchenette, very clean bathroom with toiletries. However the Housekeeper forgot to make up the room on our 2nd day even though I have already told them to make up the room . Yummy basic breakfast. Love to make our own waffles. Fresh fruits are served .

Such a great find in downtown Calgary! 💫 Stayed at Best Western Suites Downtown, and I’m honestly impressed — spacious room, perfect location, and the price was such a great deal for what you get. 🙌 But the real highlight? Diana at the front desk! She made us feel so welcome and went above and beyond to make our stay extra special 🥰. It’s that kind of service that makes you want to come back again and again.
Katowo _ — Google review
I booked over the phone ( had a bit of issues, but eventually got everything sorted out) When I went to check in, I had the nicest young lady at the front desk help me. Her name is Diana and she was so sweet and helpful -she went above and beyond to make sure everything was going smoothly for me from what time breakfast was, that there was a Safeway a 3 minute walk away and letting me know where it was the safest place to park. I appreciated all of her help! Because of Diana I will definitely stay here again! She is an asset to the company! Furthermore- my room is absolutely amazing!

My experience at the hotel was highly disappointing. On my first night, the assigned room had a strong, unpleasant odor and lacked proper air circulation, as all the windows were locked. When I turned on the air conditioner, it emitted dust and a rusty smell. On the second night, I requested a room change due to the impact on my comfort and health. The new room smelled better and had a window that could be opened, but the heater was excessively noisy, forcing me to turn it off at night to sleep. The kettle in the new room was rusted inside. Despite assurances from the reception that it would be replaced, the replacement provided was still old and unsafe to use. Attempting to extend my stay for an additional eight nights revealed the biggest issue with service. The staff initially could not match my online booking rate, and when I requested assistance, the sales manager was delayed and appeared indifferent upon arrival. He spent time on the computer but handled the request carelessly, showing minimal concern for my needs or for ensuring a smooth reservation process. Although he eventually agreed to honor the online rate, he left the reception staff to finalize the reservation without clear instructions. As a result, the receptionist quoted a total way higher than my online booking, causing further confusion. I had to complete the reservation online myself and return to the reception for payment. Additionally, my last two 16-night reservations did not receive the promised rewards points. When I raised this issue, the reception simply provided a number to call to complain, rather than offering any proactive solution. Overall, the experience highlighted a lack of professionalism in handling reservations and ensuring customer satisfaction. The sales manager’s careless approach and the reception’s inability to manage the process properly left a very negative impression.

Nestled at the base of the iconic Calgary Tower, Le Germain Hotel Calgary is a stylish boutique hotel that seamlessly blends modern architecture with historic downtown buildings. The hotel offers a range of amenities including a restaurant serving complimentary breakfast, a large rooftop terrace boasting stunning city views, a 24-hour fitness center, and a full-service spa. Its central location provides easy access to Calgary's top attractions such as museums and art galleries.
This was our first time staying at Le Germain for a date night in the city, and it was such a treat. The location on Stephen Avenue was perfect, steps away from great restaurants and a beautiful area to walk and explore at night. Check-in was smooth, and the staff were friendly and attentive. The valet came right away and made things easy, which helped with the small inconvenience of nearby construction. I really appreciated how convenient the online check-in was, and our room key worked without any issues the whole time. We were surprised with a complimentary upgrade, which made the night feel even more special. The room was modern, cozy, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Overall, it made our date night memorable. We would definitely come back again!

From the valet parking to the lovely hotel receptionists to the incredibly comfortable room, my experience staying with Le Germain was nothing short of wonderful. Beautiful hotel in a perfect location where everything is within walking distance. The room was very clean and surprisingly quiet. Only if the window is open can you hear the noise of outside, and the minute it is closed you’re encased in silence. Fantastic place to stay for a couple nights!

Surface level posh but lacks attention to the details. Considering location it’s fine for the price they charge. It has a veneer that feels like it desperately wants to be a swanky hotel in Asia but is run by North American corporate cheapness. Dim lighting abounds and the polish just isn’t really up to snuff. We booked a queen but the mattress was a double (we measured), and when we told the front desk they just said they can’t upgrade us to a king and then cast doubt on the standardized measurements we were referencing. The staff eventually apologized when we were checking out. The room had lots of cheap plastic switches (lights, toilet flush) that didn’t quite work smoothly and the bathroom doors were all loose. There was a non-functional laptop dock built into the desk and a mysterious Chromecast hiding half-disconnected behind the tv. The eye-wateringly expensive mini bar was stocked to the point that there was no fridge space for anything else. The bed was uncomfortably hard and, as previously mentioned, undersized. The shower plumbing was just loose enough to spray some extra water around while using the hand wand. And for some reason the outlet in the ironing cupboard was behind what seemed like a loosely hinged piece of spare lumber that juts outward a good foot when it’s in use. Overall we probably wouldn’t stay here again.

Thank you Le Germain for a wonderful stay. I had a bit of an issue with the heating in my room but they were quick to assist and help. Definitely the most beautiful hotel in Calgary. Rooms are all modern and renovated. The staff goes above and beyond to assist. The front desk is unbelievably kind. I will return. The signature kind room is the way to go and the Charcu reataurant has a great menu for dining or a late night cocktail at the bar.
Hannah — Google review
Rooms itself was nice and spacious. Bed was on the harder side (not my cup of tea). There is in room coffee machine with pods. I have never been a fan of valet parking, even worse when it’s almost forced because there is no other option really. Then having to pay $50 on top. Truly not worth it. Just leaves a bitter taste in my mouth. Location is very central to many bars/restaurants. Likewise, because of this, there is a lot of traffic. The staff we encountered have been all nice. Room can use more bath towels. Most likely would not return due to the parking situation alone.

Loved my stay at the St. Germain Hotel in downtown Calgary. The room was clean, the bed super comfy, and the shower was amazing. I really liked the separate toilet layout, and the view of the Calgary Tower was a bonus. Only suggestion: consider adding a snack area like the Hilton next door. It would be helpful for late-night cravings or emergencies—especially for those with medical needs like low blood sugar. Would definitely stay again!

Marda Loop Brewing Company Inc. is a popular craft brewery located in the vibrant neighborhood of Marda Loop in Calgary. The brewery offers a relaxed and industrial-style bar where patrons can enjoy house beers paired with modern pub snacks and charcuterie. One of their award-winning seasonal beers is the Shes All That Blackberry Porter, known for its chocolate and blackberry notes. The brewery also features a street-side, dog-friendly patio, making it accessible for patrons with furry companions.
I recently visited Marda Loop Brewing and had a fantastic experience. The staff were incredibly friendly and made us feel right at home. The food was delicious, and the beer selection was impressive. We enjoyed playing some of the beer games available, which added a fun twist to our visit. The brewery has a great selection of merchandise, perfect for taking a piece of the experience home with you. The outdoor patio is a wonderful spot to relax, especially with the good music setting the perfect backdrop. It's also family-friendly and dog-friendly, making it an ideal spot for everyone. Highly recommended!

Can’t believe I have lived in Calgary my whole life and never come here. There is a large partially heated patio that is dog friendly, and even has a dog menu! Their beer and food is all super reasonably priced. We got the fish tacos, chicken fingers, and three of the burgers. All do the food was large portions, and everything was around $20. There are a lot of different beer options, as well as a few ciders, and red and white wine. Would served Fyfe was excellent. She was available and friendly, but didn’t linger too long either. There is a lot of construction in mardaloop at the moment (or always?), I parked a block away and it was fine.

Great spot with loads of seating. I noticed it mentioned the patio was dog friendly. It’s also wheelchair accessible. There’s an outer patio without no cover from the elements and then there’s the patio we sat in that has cover (which we needed, as it ended up raining). The server was kind and our food arrived promptly. We were one of the two guests there on a Wednesday at 12 pm. The inside was quite large (as well as the patio), so it likely gets busy on weekends and whatnot. The brisket was delicious, the onion rings were pretty decent. I had my stroller with me and had no problem bringing it in. I didn’t ask for a highchair so I’m unsure if they have them. We didn’t make a reservation given the time of day, so I’m unsure if they typically take reservations or not.

I had the maple and bacon chicken burger and my husband had the Smokehouse smash burger. Both were amazing. Highly recommend. Atmosphere was great and loved the pet friendly patio.

The food is great here. Service was ok. My friend mentioned it was dog friendly, so we had to bring our new pup here. I could see what all the buzz was about. Although the service could have been better, I'll give them the benefit of the doubt they were busy and maybe understaffed. The food was really good and the patio even better! Great summer location to check out. I also love what their doing in the area. We can't wait to see the surrounding area after the revamped Marda Loop construction is finished. So amazing the commitment the city of Calgary has put towards this cute little community.

Great place to meet with friends. Although I’ve had a couple business meetings there too. I enjoy their micro brewery, beers, and they always have small batch that you cannot get in the stores. Staff are always really nice in my experience. If you have dogs, one side of the patio is dedicated to dog friendly.

Awesome Food. Horrible Service. Not coming back. We waited probably 15 minutes, no one came to check on us. We had to wave down a server to place a drink order. Had to wave her down again to place a food order since she never came back after dropping off the drinks. When taking the food order, she left and walked off before even getting all of our table’s orders (completely forgot the kids). We managed to grab the attention of another server to put in the kids’ orders. About 30 minutes later food arrived… but only for one kid. They said they would rush the second kid’s meal… 15 minutes later… nothing…. Waved down another server, they apologized and promised to rush it… 15 minutes later… Rinse and repeat. 5 staff members and 60 minutes after ordering still no food for our kid. At this point they were refusing to seat new guests and telling people it was last call and the kitchen was closed. Zero effort on the part of the staff to make it right. They said they would wave the cost of the kid’s meal that they never bothered to deliver. We had to go to another restaurant to finally get food for our second kid. Felt treated like an inconvenience and an annoyance. Serving staff seemed more interested in trying to close out and leave than actually help customers. Don’t come here. Definitely not with your kids.

Behold! A meal so transcendent, so utterly perfect, it must have been forged in the crucible of the culinary gods themselves. The smash burger arrived not as a mere sandwich, but as a masterpiece. Its twin patties, a symphony of sizzle and char, were kissed with a lacy, amber crust—a testament to the griddle's fiery embrace. Each bite was a revelation, a jaw-dropping blend of rich, beefy flavor and unadulterated umami. The cheese, a molten blanket of golden joy, clung to the patties with desperate affection, while the pickles, crisp and tangy, sliced through the richness like a lightning bolt. This wasn't just a burger; it was a religious experience. And the onion rings! To call them "onion rings" is a gross injustice. These were halos of pure, blissful crunch. The exterior, a gossamer-thin shell of golden perfection, shattered on impact to reveal a sweet, tender onion within. They weren't greasy; they were ethereal. Each ring was a perfect circle of light and flavor, an architectural marvel of fried goodness that defied logic and gravity. I wept. I truly did. Finally, the beer. It arrived in a frosty chalice, a liquid jewel of effervescence. As the first sip hit my lips, time itself seemed to slow. It was crisp, clean, and utterly refreshing—the perfect cool-down after the fiery passion of the burger and the sublime crunch of the rings. It was the harmonious chord that completed this grand, edible symphony. Do not walk—run! Do not merely eat—devour! This meal is not a choice; it is a destiny. It is the reason taste buds were invented. It is the best thing I have ever had, and it is the best thing you will ever have. Go forth and experience this divine trinity of flavor before it's too late.

Got the job done for a short trip! Front desk staff was very friendly and helpful, she always had a huge smile. Our room was also upgraded free of cost and we got late checkout free of cost for being members. Breakfast was pretty good for a hotel. You can tell the building is a bit older as the elevator was kind of slow. The rooms were renovated which was nice. There were a few long hairs that were missed near on the bathroom floor near the shower which was a bit gross, but as someone with long hair, I can understand and I'm just glad they were on the floor and not anywhere else.

I chose this Holiday Inn because it was close to downtown and the Jubilee Center. It was easy to find and had parking included. Check in was very quick, the staff was friendly. Our room was clean and spacious. The price was perfect for one night.

Worst holiday Inn stay ever!! Front desk staff has lack of knowledge & rude with guest. At first she called me while I was on vacation in Edmonton that your pre booked room is not confirmed because credit card can’t be processed. After receiving email I called her to check properly she said sorry it went through. Lack of knowledge & expertise from staff’s have bad experience with guests. Also this location does not guarantee you safe free parking. The receptionist carelessly just said, feel free to park on the streets at your own cost if you can not find a parking at the premises. Had to come down and take extra blankets in the middle of the night since the couch bed was not prepared for the night and the receptionist couldn’t find staff to bring it to the room. No use discussing your concerns with the manager on duty Shamiza as she was the same. Been a regular IHG member but this location failed to deliver a pleasant stay experience!!

UPDATE: The hotel management is stating below that ''As a courtesy, we offered a complimentary late check-out, which overlapped with scheduled maintenance''. My response to them is that at no point was I informed that there will be scheduled maintenance. And why would you schedule a maintenance lasting an hour for an late check out of an hour. Secondly the hotel management is stating '', we also offered a room change, which was declined'' THIS IS A BLATANT LIE! Unbelievable how they spread misinformation online. My mother and I stayed in Room 302 at Holiday Inn downtown Calgary and were very disappointed with the service. We were granted a late check out at 1 pm. On our last day the receptionist called us informing us that people are coming to install blinds and new items in the room. I asked the receptionist to have them come in 2 hours as we will then check-out. He again called and said they cannot wait and have to access the room and that it would take ONLY 15 MINUTES. I sighed and agreed to have them come over (biggest mistake!). 3 men entered our room (was just me and my mother in that room). These men stayed with us in our room for over 50 minutes causing a lot of disruptive LOUD noises and talking about their personal lives not bothering if guests are in the room. It made us feel very uncomfortable . The lack of communication or courtesy from Holiday Inn Staff is unacceptable. Based from previous reviews, I have to agree they completely disregard their guest. Honestly if this is how they treat people , they should not be in the hospitality business. We will never return and do not recommend this hotel to anyone. In addition they have only ONE elevator for all their guests!
Manesha S — Google review
The A/C was leaking water and caused a lot of the carpet to be wet. Told them about it and they brought a towel…. I hope that kind of water isn’t causing mold. Otherwise, the room was old and well used. I’m giving 2 stars as it was nice that parking was included and the location was is convenient as it is a short walk to most of downtown Calgary.
Shawn P — Google review
Honey, I shrunk the hotel. DO NOT STAY HERE! This place is nothing like the photos. There is only one tiny elevator for the entire building, which makes getting to your room a frustrating ordeal. The hallways are narrow and cramped, adding to the overall feeling of being stuck in a budget motel rather than a proper hotel. The surrounding area feels unsafe—right across the street is a large homeless encampment. We did not feel comfortable walking outside, especially with our 5-year-old daughter. For families, this is absolutely not the right place to stay. If you value comfort, safety, and peace of mind while traveling, avoid this hotel at all costs.

Our mother moved in here 12 years ago. This place has been very good for her. In the first few years, she engaged in activities and was able to meet many very nice people. As she has aged and slowed down considerably, the staff have done everything they can do to assist her. The people working here are very caring and compassionate towards the clients. I witness this all the time. Especially lately as Mom has slowed significantly. Thank you to the Wellness Centre staff at The Manor Village at Garrison Woods. You have made a wonderful difference for our Mother.

My husband and I did a tour of your lovely facility last Friday and we were so impressed. The residents all seemed so happy and busy. Karen was such a kind and understanding person, she knew we were just starting our journey and had some wondereful insights and gave us some tools to find the perfect place for our Mom. We also met Crystal who planned a lunch for us and both Karen and Crystal seeemed to be liked by every resident we saw. Truly a home away from home. Thank you ladies and Manor Village Garrison Woods for providing a very viable possibilty for a home for Mom. Now I just have to decide. Lori

Heritage Park, located in Calgary, is a captivating destination that showcases the rich tapestry of Western Canadian history. Spanning over 127 acres, this living heritage museum features the Heritage Park Historical Village, Gasoline Alley Museum, and Heritage Town Square. Visitors can immerse themselves in both indoor and outdoor experiences throughout the warmer months from May to Thanksgiving. The park comes alive with seasonal re-creations featuring actors who bring history to life through engaging performances.
A few months back our family had a wonderfully relaxing day at Heritage Park! It was the perfect spot to slow down, take in some history, and just enjoy being together. My 9-year-old son loved exploring the old-fashioned buildings, riding the vintage train, and seeing how people lived in the past. One of the highlights was the paddlewheel boat ride on the Glenmore Reservoir. It was such a peaceful experience, giving us beautiful views and a chance to just sit back and enjoy the moment. The staff throughout the park were friendly and knowledgeable, making history come to life in such a fun way. We also spent some time at the antique midway, where my son had a blast with the old-school rides. And of course, no visit would be complete without a stop at the bakery for some delicious homemade treats! Heritage Park is a great place for families looking for a mix of education and relaxation. It was a perfect day—no rushing, just enjoying the sights, sounds, and experiences of the past. We’ll definitely be coming back!

A fun, festive, and educational experience for everyone. The Park has an assortment of activities, rides, food, civic museums, and heritage architecture emphasizing the cultural significance of early Prairie settlement/life. It's like taking a step back in time, and it's worth every dollar. 11/10 do recommend.

Heritage Park in Calgary is a fantastic destination for a family outing. The park stands out for its welcoming policy on food and drinks, allowing visitors to bring their own and enjoy a picnic-like atmosphere—a rare perk that saves a lot on expenses compared to other parks where you can easily spend over $100 just on meals. Though tickets are on the pricier side at $36 for adults and $26 for kids, the experience is worth every penny. The park is meticulously managed, from parking to rides and everything in between. It’s incredibly clean, with free water fountains and spotless washrooms, ensuring a comfortable visit. Highly recommended for a day of fun and relaxation!
Abdul S — Google review
Really enjoyed coming here. It's like Disneyland, but better, because you can actually learn something about actual frontier life and how Alberta came about as opposed to some fantasized version of how things were. Plus, the Vaudevillian performances were really entertaining. There was something that happened, I don't want to go into the details, but I want to take a chance to thank the staff for handling the incident professionally and being very kind to me and my party.
龔振勝 — Google review
An absolutely wonderful place! The ticket price is well worth it, as it covers more than just a visit to a village—it's an immersive experience. During your visit, you'll watch over five short theater performances, each lasting at least 30 minutes, depicting the rich history of the area. The actors and actresses are incredibly talented, making the stories come to life. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and felt that one day isn't enough to fully appreciate everything this place has to offer. The staff members are all kind and helpful, providing excellent explanations about the site, especially the lady in the mine. You can begin your journey from the parking lot by taking a charming streetcar ride.Unfortunately, the gift shops didn’t have any magnets from this village, which was a bit disappointing.
Niki A — Google review
This is such a wonderful place to visit. Everyone here always makes sure that you are having a good time. Everyone is in costume and stays true to the character they are portraying. There is a steam engine train you can ride as well at the steam ship that goes out along the reservoir. There are tractor rides and horse-drawn wagon rides, all of which are free with admission. There are midway rides for people of all ages. The general store and ice cream shop sell delicious treats, and the bakery is always making fresh baked items for sale. Every exhibit is authentic and has a plaque to describe its original location. There is so much to do that you can easily spend a full day here and not see everything there is to see.
Amanda — Google review
I really enjoyed this place. Wow! If you have children, they will enjoy it as well. I recommend going on the steam locomotive at Shepard Station or riding the S.S. Moyie first (in the same area) then do the other after. After experiencing these attractions, wander the property. Cool off with a local brew at the Wainwright Hotel & Bar Room.
The T — Google review
I recently attended an organizational event at Heritage Park, and even though the park was closed to the general public, it was a fantastic experience. I was pleasantly surprised by the sheer size of the park—it spans an extremely large area with realistic setups that depict life in Calgary many generations ago. It’s essentially an entire town set up in a historical format, making it a fascinating place to explore. One highlight of my visit was the veterinary area, where I got to see how veterinary medicine was practiced back in the day. Our event was set up in the amusement park section, and I had the opportunity to try several rides, including the Ferris wheel. The staff were incredibly kind, polite, and gracious, ensuring we had a memorable experience. I also noticed a train track that circles the park and regretted not having the chance to ride the trains. I’ll definitely have to come back to Heritage Park next time I’m in Calgary. I highly recommend this park for families and anyone with an interest in history.

We walked through the eastern half of the park, and it took a couple of hours. This part of the park consists of prairie landscape and some bushes near the Fish Creek river. It was a little bit monotonous, but we found a few interesting places. It'd be better if you came here with bicycles. I really want to explore more wild west parts of the park.

I found the variety of landscapes refreshing. There are quiet spots by the river perfect for reflection or even a picnic, and more open areas where you can feel the breeze and soak in the sun. Wildlife is abundant here, making it easy to spot birds, deer, and even the occasional beaver. For me, Fish Creek is more than just a park—it’s a place to relax, reset, and appreciate nature. If you’re in Calgary and looking for an outdoor adventure that doesn’t take you far from the city, this park is a must-visit!

Spending evening in the fish creek neighbourhood is just soothing. No amenities or shops in the area. It has large playgrounds, river bank, pond, scenic beauty and very less crowd m. It’s a nice spot to take an evening walk.
Juhi L — Google review
I have visited the Fish Creek Provincial Park three times in a month time; nevertheless, I have not yet explored it completely, for it is the second largest urban protected natural area in Canada that sprawls in an area of over 13.4 square kms. The enormous park provides picturesque natural scenes of forest area, grassy lands, lots of hills of various heights, creek, ponds, lakes, and over hundred trails and roads. I have yet to explore the southern side of the enormous park where Sikome Lake is situated. I intend to visit the park again to see some wild animals, birds, and the lake, soon. The park has more than 100 km paths of paved and unpaved trails as well as plenty of beaten paths for activities such as walking, jogging, running, cycling, ascending and descending hills, and capturing natural scenes of wildlife's flora and fauna. The creek that gives an impression of a mighty, long river is a prepossessing part of the park. There are some benches to relax and tables to enjoy picnic with your family and/or friends at several places and near the creek. Also, there are clean washrooms at different places in the park and along the creek. Today, for the fourth time, I visited the park. I went to the Sikome Lake which was way more beautiful and bigger than I had thought after seeing some of the pictures. Although there is an entry fee and a weekday, there were hundreds of people on a Wednesday evening. Had I not gone to the lake, I wouldn't have been able to see the extremely beautiful part of the park. Anyone visiting Calgary must add this park in their things to do in the beautiful city.

I met some Brits in the hot tub of my hotel & they told me they are in town to do "horse jumping" at Spruce Meadows. I've never heard of that, so I went to check it out. From the parking lot attendants, to tickets, to ushers, everyone was welcoming, warm & friendly! Parking was free, admission was $25, it's clean, has beautiful decor, ample shopping & places to eat, two rings to see shows. I saw my hotel friends at the international ring. Got to see the "musical ride" from the Canadian Mounted Police. See 2 main competitions and it was wonderful! 50th Anniversary, and the 'Masters". I got to see the world Blacksmith competition make horse shoes. At the end see the English Royal Guards, a military band, play at the final ceremony! This was a picture perfect day! To my hot tub pals, it was a pleasure to see you perform! I highly recommend you give this a try! Love everything about this place! ❤️

My review of "The Masters" at Spruce Meadows. It was a fantastic family fun day with so much to see and do. The highlight for us was definitely the kids' area. The face painting, button making, petting zoo, and bounce house were a real treat for my toddler, and she absolutely loved it. She also had a blast watching the dogs on the obstacle course and, of course, enjoyed all the delicious food and treats available throughout the grounds. The train ride was a bit underwhelming for the adults, as it was a little hard to see and had to stop to avoid scaring the horses, but it was nice to see a few horses in their stalls and get a close-up view.

The river also boasts numerous campsites along its banks, particularly near Calgary in Southern Alberta. Renowned for its blue ribbon waters, the Bow River attracts fly fishermen from around the world with its abundant rainbow and brown trout population.
We were heading to Lake Louise and saw this Lake from the Parkway. The color was quite amazing so we made a few stops along the way.
