Vietnamese restaurant
Restaurant
Pho Hoai is a cozy and down-to-earth Vietnamese eatery located in Calgary, known for its comforting pho bowls. The restaurant offers a welcoming atmosphere and a menu filled with authentic Vietnamese flavors. With simple decor, the focus is on serving traditional Vietnamese cuisine with rich and beefy broth that sets it apart from others in the city. Pho Hoai is popular among locals for its reasonably priced, large portioned meals served quickly, making it an ideal spot for lunch.
My Absolute FAVE in Calgary. Granted I have only tried 5 now. But at least a decent amount from one super well known or voted for....to a new one in University and others less known. The broth here for ME is the BEST! It actually has colour but the flavor for me is amazing ..light but not clear like I found others to be translucent clear and almost tasteless. Like needing the sauces etc. Speaking of sauces I love Pho Haoi's taste more authentic than just brand Sriracha ..though dont get me wrong that is tasty and has its place... I just enjoy the home made. And they keep their sauces clean and have fish sauce! I enjoy #1 .. I had a number 2 but enjoy the rare beef more. Served with tea as well which is so lovely and appreciated. I ❤️ Pho Hoai definitely recommend. 🙏🏻 PS green juice was tasty tons of health benefits. Wasn't bad but I definitely had only ordered it based on the picture of a fresh juice cup. My bad I didn't ask lol I assumed they were making it in house. But totally fine. Was still good. Only for those who really can handle true green juice.. lol which is fine with me!

In search of a good Vietnamese restaurant we found this hidden gem. Let’s start with the food. We ordered spring rolls, a hot soup and one of their special signature bowls with chicken. The food was awesome. They first served us with hot green tea and a plate of sprouts which was a nice touch. The food was served very fast and we enjoyed the quality. It was so good that I ordered a bowl of soup to take with me home. What needs improvement? Probably having chilli in oil sauce, asking if we needed a fork ( not everyone is comfortable with chopsticks) and checking with us if we needed anything else. What I didn’t like? The mirrors were dirty, the whole restaurant can benefit a little cleaning and better lighting.

Good place to eat in peace and silent, i wish you giys to grow and get bigger space, i reccomend this place for those who like or wanna try Vietnamese kitchen! I ordered 24 and and 14 and it was great, thank you! More clients to you and bigger space! Ho-ho-ho)
Dreamer — Google review
Beef pho and pho sate were okay, my Quang was watery and less flavourful. None of them tastes authentic like when we tried in Vietnam but tasty regardlessly. The people there were very friendly and you can sit outside the restaurant but inside the mall.
Kim N — Google review
This place is really good. It gets very packed during the lunch rush hour. One of the better pho broths in town. Good portion size. Fast service too.
David Y — Google review
There's a reason this place is always busy during lunch time during office hours. Whenever the weather gets cold or I'm craving some nice and homey I visit Pho Hoai. They have upped the price over the last couple of years but it's definitely due to the cost of everything else, my only complaint for my Bun Bo Hue is all the noodles were very short like (2 inches in length) was difficult to finish the bowl.
James Z — Google review
Omg what a great place for pho & spring rolls & che! The quality kind customer service & quality food just hit different. I highly recommend this absolute wonderful place! Who doesnt like pho?!!!!!
Abigail — Google review
Update after 3 years in 2025 : I’ve been eating here since 2022. The portion size has slightly decreased and prices have gone up — understandable. Due to working hybrid this year, I’ve only visited twice. However, on both occasions, I was overcharged — that’s a 100% billing error rate, which makes it hard for me to believe it’s just a coincidence. Last time, the bill was $3x.28, but I was charged $3x.30 on my credit card. This time, the total was $33.58, but I was charged $33.65 — an extra $0.07. It’s not a big amount, but when I asked about it, there was no explanation or apology. It left me with serious doubts about the restaurant’s honesty. I strongly recommend that everyone calculate your total yourself before paying. I’ve personally decided to blacklist this restaurant and won’t be coming back. P.S. I went on a Sunday for lunch — there were only about 4 tables of customers. It wasn’t busy, but I was rushed to order three times within five minutes. Very unpleasant experience. 2022 comments : Is really tasty, we ordered extra large and share

Delivery Restaurant
Southeast Asian restaurant
Pho Dau Bo Restaurant is a casual spot in Calgary that specializes in Vietnamese cuisine, particularly known for its comforting pho. What started as a family-owned deli serving traditional Vietnamese dishes has now expanded into a diverse menu offering Vietnamese subs, bowls, stir-fries, and more. The restaurant also provides convenient home delivery and takeaway services.
I love Pho, especially Bun bo hue. I always try this first whenever I go to a pho place, you can check my reviews. This place is one of the best bun bo hue and the service is amazing, when we went there for dinner, although the place was close but we wanted to try the Ca Phe Sua Da, they still served it to us. We tried their bone marrow for the first time and the dip brought it to the next level. Thanks for the service and for sure we’ll be back!
Sandy C — Google review
Pho Dau Bo is a clean spot with friendly staff and solid service. The pho is good—not the best I’ve had, but decent overall. The broth is just okay though; it lacks that deep, rich flavor you’d expect from slow-simmered ox bones. One downside for me is that they use plastic bowls, plates, and utensils, which takes away from the dining experience. Also, prices are on the higher side for what you get.
Hieu D — Google review
I visited Pho Dau Bo for the second time recently, and sadly, I left quite disappointed. While I was initially excited to return, the overall experience fell short. The atmosphere felt rather gloomy, made worse by the large rays kept in a tank that is far too small for such majestic creatures. It was upsetting to see them in such a confined, barren space with no enrichment. It genuinely affected my appetite, and I found it difficult to enjoy the meal knowing animals nearby were visibly distressed. The food itself was okay, some of the Vietnamese crêpe options were creative and flavourful—but overall, the portion sizes were small, and I left still hungry, despite our bill nearing $100 for three people. Unfortunately, the service didn’t lift the experience either. Staff seemed disengaged, and the energy in the space was low. I’m surprised by the volume of glowing reviews, as my experience didn’t align with them. I appreciate the creativity in parts of the menu, but between the animal welfare concerns, small portions, and lacklustre service, I won’t be returning.
Sandra G — Google review
I ordered a large soup and it only filled my bowl up half way barely any broth. I called and he says we only have one size container. for the broth. meanwhile it was barely 3/4 full. he tells me he will tell his boss. not good enough. refund my order or send me the right amount of food. I have eaten at around 90% of the pho places in the city and this was the least amount of food I have been given. I have eaten in the actual restaurant and they give you more when you dine in but that shouldn't matter you should receive the same amount eat in or out. Those pictures are supposed to be a large soup lol
Ryan M — Google review
Tried Pho Dau Bo in Calgary and it was solid. We ordered the Special Pho, Beef Rib Pho, grilled pork chop with rice, and a banh mi. The broth in both pho dishes was flavourful and comforting, and the beef rib was tender. The pork chop with rice was tasty and well-seasoned, and the banh mi had fresh bread with a nice balance of meat and veggies. Overall a good experience
Ann T — Google review
I saw a big sign advertising 20% off food and drink, but unfortunately, I didn’t get the discount—I guess it doesn’t apply to takeout orders, which wasn’t clear at all. There was also a sign for free ice cream, but that too only applies to dine-in customers. I ordered a regular beef saté noodle soup for $16. The flavor was okay, but the portion was quite small and honestly not worth the price. Also, I heard from a friend that they charge for water, which is surprising and a bit off-putting. Would have appreciated more transparency and better value for takeout customers.
Kiet L — Google review
Pho with additional bone marrow is a great combination.. the portion so generous. Luckily, we come after rush lunch hour, so the service is quick. They have oxtail and beef ribs, too. We will come again to try their other menu.. so recommended
Neny G — Google review
Came here during the birthday event and finally tried the bone marrow. It made the broth deliciously rich. Also enjoyed the hanoi egg coffee and beef carpaccio.

Nestled in Calgary's vibrant City Centre, Tamarind Vietnamese Grill & Noodle House is a charming eatery that specializes in vegetarian and vegan Vietnamese cuisine. With an inspiring backstory of a family transitioning from corporate life to culinary passion, this cozy spot has quickly become a beloved destination for food lovers. The restaurant takes pride in its commitment to fresh ingredients, particularly its homemade tofu, which elevates traditional dishes like pho into delightful plant-based experiences.
BEST vegan place in town ever. I highly recommend it! Even something as simple as a bowl of brown rice is cooked to perfection. Everything is properly seasoned, healthy, and freshly prepared. Yes, it's a little slower than your regular Vietnamese restaurant, but it's worth the wait.
Ly C — Google review
Walked in not knowing it was a vegan restaurant and wow it was great. The food was delicious and better than many meat vietnamese dishes I've had elsewhere. Would definitely recommend this restaurant. Great value for money and large portions.
Caitlin D — Google review
The food here is absolutely delicious and one of my favourites in Calgary. The veggies and herbs used are fresh and make for some flavourful dishes. The tofu and mock meats are some of the best I’ve ever had. The tom yum soup is a must try. Other favourites are the five spice ramen, sizzling sticky rice, and tofu vermicelli.
Tiara L — Google review
An amazing vegan restaurant. I highly recommend it! My friend and I got the vegan pad Thai and a vermicelli bowl. Everything is properly seasoned, healthy, and freshly prepared. The pad Thai was amazing, it was very flavourful. Yes, it's a little slower than your regular Vietnamese restaurant, but it's worth the wait.

TAMARIND IS DEFINITELY ONE MY FAVOURITE RESTAURANTS! Me and my parents come here like almost every week for 3 and a half years, we love it here! I’ve been vegetarian for 5 years, and my parents aren’t. But we all love the food here! I’d definitely recommend it to others! :)
Zoe H — Google review
A great vegan restaurant in Calgary! Delicious vegan pho and rice noodle bowls with tofu made in-house. Would highly recommend, especially their mixed bowls! Thank you Alex for explaining how the tofu is made in-house. It was great to learn about the whole process which takes days to make and they take great pride in their tofu! It clearly shows and tastes amazing!!

Yummy vegan food. Great prices as well. 10/10 recommend ☺️

It's a hidden gem! 100% VEGAN. No MSG! This is my favourite Vegan restaurant! House special Pho is the best! They have a meditation space offering Buddhas in the middle of the dinning room, which makes the atmosphere so calm, relax and peaceful!

Van Son Vietnamese Cuisine in Calgary is a delightful haven for those craving authentic Vietnamese flavors with a modern twist. This charming eatery specializes in hearty dishes like their renowned beef balls and rare beef noodle soup, which are served in generous portions that truly embody the essence of Vietnamese comfort food. A standout feature of Van Son is its unique coconut-based broth, offering a refreshing alternative to traditional pho broths. The restaurant is family-owned, with roots deeply embedded in the culinary traditions of Vietnam.
Van Son Vietnamese Calgary: Exceptional Vietnamese Cuisine in Calgary! I had the pleasure of dining at Van Son Vietnamese Calgary, and it was truly an unforgettable experience! The moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm hospitality and a cozy atmosphere that immediately made me feel at ease. Flavorful and Authentic Dishes The menu offered an impressive array of traditional Vietnamese dishes, and I was excited to try some of their signature items. The spring rolls were crispy and flavorful, and the satay skewers were cooked to perfection. The vermicelli was fresh and delicious, and the portion sizes were generous. # Attentive and Friendly Service The service was top-notch, with friendly and attentive staff who ensured that our needs were met throughout the meal. The prices were very reasonable, especially considering the high quality of the food and service. # Highly Recommended! Overall, I highly recommend Van Son Vietnamese Calgary to anyone craving authentic and delicious Vietnamese cuisine. Whether you're a foodie, a local, or just visiting Calgary, this restaurant is a must-visit destination! Rating: 5/5 stars
Terrence S — Google review
Ordered the beef/beef ball pho and diy wrap combo. Not bad, but not great. Everything was pretty average. I didn’t really like the noodles that came with the diy wraps. Usually it comes with the thinner ones. Decent prices with decent portions.
Bec E — Google review
The 31b is the best of the 3 types of pho we tried. The bun bo hue was good too. The beef and beef ball soup was decent but I’ve had better in other places. Nobody could finish the regular size coz they were huge. We also had the pork vermicelli which was okay. My hungry husband finished his bowl. I would highly highly recommend this place for someone craving peanut butter sate pho. I’d come back if that’s what I have a craving for but not if I’m wanting BBH or regular beef pho. We also tried the fried pork spring rolls which was okay, honestly not the most flavourful but really basic and typical for many Vietnamese restaurants, and the salad rolls (beef) was sub par for me. Service was fast.
Carla — Google review
Good option for Vietnamese if you’re in the area. But pretty on par with most places out there. Food came out fast but they didn’t refill the water unless asked. I remember when Vietnamese also used to be an affordable meal but easy now it’s over $20 pp. Like $10 for salad rolls. Seems clean but old.
Dan S — Google review
Mixed bag but overall positive. Grilled pork com dish was a good portion, tasty, broken rice ✅ and the nuoc mam was surprisingly good. However the pho my partner got lacked flavour and spices. Really one of the poorest pho broths I ever have tasted. Overall, if I were hungry and in the area I would go.
Rae R — Google review
My favourite is #75, beef satay on lettuce bed with tomatoes and onions. Don't know what they dressed the lettuce with but that mixed with the beef satay was amazing. I ate it all. Tried my girlfriend's satay peanut beef noodle soup and it was also amazing, it said on the menu it was spicy but it wasn't really spicy just warming with amazing flavour and I am not a fan of spicy, this was great. There were 3 kids, 1 baby and 4 adults in my group. No one left hungry, the food was great and the price was very good. The staff was friendly to both the kids and adults. I will be going back to eat in person as well as ordering on Uber eats when I just want to eat Vietnamese at home in pyjamas. Highly recommend
Cary T — Google review
Really nice people. I got the vegetable tofu with crispy egg noodles #59. Very cool presentation, vegetables were fresh and had a nice bit of crunch but it was way too salty without much flavour. Everyone else got the vermicelli with spring rolls and loved it so i guess I ordered wrong.
Kristin W — Google review
I dine in and order take out from here religiously. The food is consistently really good and they are so extremely careful with allergies. I have celiac disease and I never worry about eating here. The staff are always kind and helpful. My take out orders always arrive hot and well packaged. I really appreciate this business and all their efforts to be truly gluten free. I’ve turned many friends on to this place.. it’s everyone’s favourite spot. Love Van Son 🙌

Golden Bell 17 Ave SW is a popular spot for Vietnamese cuisine, offering familiar dishes like pho, vermicelli, and stir-fries in a casual dining setting. Known for its consistent and flavorful broth, the restaurant's specialty Dac Biet (special) pho with tendon, tripe, thinly sliced rare beef, and meatballs is highly recommended. The flagship location on 17 Ave provides quick service without compromising on authentic flavors.
The service was outstanding. Our waitress was attentive, quick and made sure to clarify any questions asked. We had ordered multiple menu items and the server made sure to confirm the order multiple times, which was great. The food was fresh, clean and tasty. I really enjoyed my Sate grilled beef soup. I accidentally took a picture of the server, but I’m going to include it as she deserves recognition.

Absolutely loved my experience at this restaurant. The food was fresh, flavourful, and comforting but what really stood out was the service. My server Catherine was truly amazing so kind, attentive, and welcoming. She made me and our partners visit extra special. Can’t wait to come back! 👍

This restarurant used to be my favourite place until last night. Bean sprout, mushy and brownish and limes are not edible. We had ordered 3 soups but we had to thorw all the bean sprouts away.

This might just be my new go to spot to eat dinner on 17th Ave! The food is so good and the staff are friendly. They have a lot of vegetarian options which I really appreciate! I always get the Stir Fry Vegetables With Tofu In Yellow Curry Sauce On Steamed Rice. The portions are pretty big and relatively affordable. For that meal it's around $17. I love that they have a vegetarian section on the menu, I wish more places did that. Overall I'll definitely be coming back here soon! :)

Nestled in Calgary, Nhớ Saigòn is a delightful haven for those craving authentic Vietnamese cuisine. This charming eatery welcomes families with its cozy ambiance adorned with beautiful bamboo wall art, creating an inviting atmosphere reminiscent of Vietnam. The menu showcases a variety of traditional dishes that highlight the vibrant flavors of Vietnamese cooking. A standout offering is their renowned peanut beef sate soup, featuring a spicy broth enriched with crunchy peanuts and tender strips of raw beef that cook to perfection right in the bowl.
They have one of the best beef pho Saté I’ve had in the city. It has real peanut bits with a mild spicy kick. This pho is loaded with beef! Service was fast and the staff are always attentive to your needs. Plenty of parking surrounding the store.

On a busy street, there is a food place that serves average CBC vitamin meals, heavily influenced by Western cuisine. The portion sizes are large, and the staff should remind customers to be cautious when ordering. The environment features many homeless individuals, which can make the neighborhood feel unsafe for walking.

Nho Sai Gon has been a staple in Calgary for nearly 20 years. They recently moved from their original location on 33 Ave SW in Marda Loop to 17 Ave SW after the Co-op building was torn down to make way for new apartments. The same owner still runs the place. I went there with my girlfriend and noticed they’ve really upgraded the space—it’s modern, calm, and relaxing. They’ve also added more menu items, which is great to see. The food lived up to the hype and then some—definitely exceeded my expectations. The service was extremely friendly and respectful, which made the experience even better. Overall, it was worth the money, and I’d definitely recommend checking it out if you’re in the area.

Nho Saigon is my go-to spot in Marda Loop! Their satay pho, salad rolls, satay beef short rib on steamed rice, and deep-fried pork spring rolls are always amazing. I make it a point to come here at least once a month—highly recommend!

It's nearly impossible to find a better peanut satay pho in town than the one served here. The broth is rich and deeply flavorful, with a perfect balance of creamy peanut essence and savory undertones. Each spoonful delivers a comforting warmth that speaks to both thoughtful preparation and high-quality ingredients. The noodles are cooked to a satisfying tenderness, and the toppings—fresh herbs, crisp vegetables, and tender slices of protein—complement the dish beautifully. This bowl easily sets the standard for satay pho in the area.
Hamad A — Google review
Excellent food and great value! The beef sate soup had a great peanut sate flavour and a touch of creaminess, and the beef was perfectly rare on top. The shrimp tomyum soup had so tons of jumbo shrimp (9 I think!) and a sweet and sour creamy, spicy, coconut broth. We went for lunch and were pleasantly surprised by the 10% off happy hour prices on our meal! The staff were wonderful as well. We will be back for dine in and take out!

Pho Kim Restaurant is a delightful little gem nestled in Calgary, where the charm of traditional Vietnamese cuisine comes alive. This cozy eatery specializes in serving up authentic dishes, with pho being the star attraction. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, making it an ideal spot for those craving comforting flavors. Despite its compact size, Pho Kim offers quick service that ensures you won’t have to wait long for a table—perfect for busy days when you're on the go!
The best pho place in Calgary. I genuinely recommend option no.8 at this place. I enjoy tripe, so I suggest option no.8. Did they reduce the amount of meat a bit? The sauce that comes with the salad rolls is also tasty. Even though I had pho elsewhere today, the snow reminded me of this place. The owner always welcomes guests warmly, so I visit quite often.

We decided to try this spot on Uber eats. We usually never get Uber eats but this is probably why. The serving size was atrociously small and they gave us 3 to 4 pieces of chicken. Barely any vegetables. Overall, the serving size is ridiculously small for how much you end up paying.

Nothing beats a well run, family owned and operated restaurant. Pho Kim is no exception, you feel like you are part of the family from the moment you walk through the door. Friendly and welcoming. A huge variety of Vietnamese dishes and very reasonably priced. I got to have some of my favorites that made fondly remember the city of Ho Chi Minh.

Good pho place! Pho’s soup was very thick flavoured and nice. Meats were also good quality. Lemon grass grilled chicken was great. Nice seasoning and tender. Spring rolls were alright.

I ordered item #11, which is a well done beef, flank and tendor noodle soup. When the bowl arrived in front of me, it looked very good and smoke can be clearly seen. I dont often eat Vietnamese cuisine though. The soup was awesome that it contains the saltiness that it should have. I put the spices and few drops of lime into the bowl and the flavour was even good. The noodles were a bit too soft and was easily broken, but it also had the flavour of soup in it. Before we leave, we ordered #19A salad rolls, with one of them with the shrimps missing. The flavour was good and the shrimp flavour is so obvious. Brilliant. I recommend having a meal here if you like or want to try Asian food.

We did take out tonight. We ordered the wonton soup. The owner at the front till was very nice and pleasant. However when we got home we counted the 5 small wontons per bowl. Extremely disappointing . I will never go back.

Ordered thru dd today. Got the stir fried veggies with tofu on noodles and a veggie spring roll. Everything was carefully packed and they put the noodles in their own container to keep from getting soggy (I’m guessing). I’ve ordered from Pho Kim before and they always take such care with packing things up! I really appreciate that! The stir fry was super fresh and veggies were excellent! I’ve never had a bad meal from these guys! It’s super fresh and delicious every time!! 👍

The best Vietnamese restaurant in Calgary, Song Huong Vietnamese Restaurant offers authentic Hue-style dishes and is well-known for their signature dishes. The restaurant is perfect for those who are looking for a taste of the traditional cuisine from Vietnam. The meat options on the menu are varied, making it easy to find something that suits your taste. The prices are reasonable, making it ideal for anyone on a budget.
Totally by chance our family went to this restaurant and we’re amazed at the quality and quantity of the food we received. I love vermicelli bowls and was not disappointed at all! Take a look at the photos. My bowl was the largest I have ever seen! I ordered the #42 combo and when it arrived, my mouth just dropped!!! Unbelievable!! The salad rolls are usually very rubbery and tasteless. Not here!! Exceptional!! The spring rolls were hand made and delicious! There was soooo much food I couldn’t finish it (and I’m a big eater!). Song Huong will be my favorite Vietnamese restaurant whenever I visit Calgary!!

Just craving some good Vietnamese take out. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality & freshness of the food. Was so delicious 😋. Not pictured because I was already half way through the soup before I realized I forgot to take a photo. Bun Bo Hue is their signature noodle soup. So delicous. Atmosphere was typical of a Asian soup restaurant. I was in/out with my pickup order in 5 min. The server was friendly & polite. Will definitely dine in next time for the full experience.
Richard P — Google review
If you would’ve asked me years ago, I would have said that Song Huong was the best in Calgary especially for their Bun Bo Hue. However, I found this time around it was just mediocre. I’ve been a huge fan of Song Huong for many years. I wrote a review a few years back indicating it was my favourite places to grab a Bun Bo Hue in Calgary. I recently ate here and I had to update my review. The Bun Bo Hue has been something I’ve been getting here for many years. It has been a while since I have eaten here and I do have to say that this time around it wasn’t anything to rave about. I found the meat portions have decreased significantly which was disappointing. Authentically, they do offer the blood pudding still inside the Bun Bo Hue which is tasty. However, I thought the broth had too much MSG and it just almost tasted like the whole soup was made with fish sauce. There was only another table the server waited on when I ate here recently and the service was quite terrible. Despite there being only 2 tables which were side by side, the server did not check up on us after serving the food. Not even once! Another huge turn off was the condition of their bathroom. There was urine all over the toilet seat and toilet paper all over the floor. It just looked very filthy. The condition of the bathrooms are a big indicator for me which is correlated with the overall cleanliness of the restaurant. I was not impressed with the state of it at all. It’s a far drive from where I am in city to get to this restaurant in the first place. Now with mediocre service and very average tasting food I’m pretty sure I won’t be driving the long way to dine here. There are restaurants in par or maybe even better as they are cleaner than Song Huong at least. It’s a shame as I remember back in the day when I would buy huge pots of Bun bo hue from Song Huong in the old location. It is a shame the quality has dropped to this degree.
David C — Google review
Pretty good bun bo hue and the spring rolls were delicious. Good portion sizes. I do like how they have the blood pudding with it whereas a lot of places in the city that does this dish doesn't have a topping like that.
David Y — Google review
MISTAKES WERE MADE - I left without ordering the Goi Cuon Bi , which is the shredded pork skin salad rolls. Decided to skip the appetizers on the account of not being very hungry, but now I regret not ordering extra food or at least ordering it to go. We ordered the Bun Nem Nuong Cha Gio (BBQ minced pork and spring rolls) and the Combo 3: Chao Tom, Cha Gio, Thit Nuong & Nem Nuong (minced pork shrimp ball, spring roll, charbroiled pork and BBQ minced pork on vermicelli noodle). They were both great, wound up with leftovers because combo 3 was a lot more food than I was expecting (see first photo). This place has a lot of potential and I can see it doing well going forward, a few changes I would make might include: adding cucumbers, something pickled like carrots, radishes or even turnips, to the dish. Even adding bean sprouts can help elevate the presentation. I did find red cabbage buried under the top layer of the vermicelli bowl but it was minimal and largely went unnoticed until I opened up the leftovers. Adding the red cabbage to the top can add additional balance to the lettuce. Although the above ingredients were missing and the dishes differed from the typical Vermicelli bowl I’m used to, it was not the end of the world. Presentation and flavour of the bowls could definitely be improved by adding a few more ingredients and balancing out the lettuce to noodle ratio, but the sauce that came with the bowl, which the restaurant was happy to provide extra of, and the spring rolls and meat found in the dish were made to perfection. Extra sauce is needed because combo 3 had a lot of noodles which one bowl of sauce could not cover but servers were more than accommodating - just gotta ask. Total for both bowls $35.90 before taxes and tip. No complaints on the atmosphere, however I did find the television and music being on at the same time a bit disorienting. One of the servers was also emptying the forks and knives very loudly into the dustpan which was a bit disruptive but again, these aren’t issues that can’t be addressed and improved upon. I also appreciated the fact that the minimum default tip option was 12% . This is rare to see. It’s becoming standard for the minimum option to be 18% so thank you for not automatically offering 18% as the minimum standard. Will definitely be back next time I’m in the province, just so I can try the Goi Cuon Bi! I have now added Song Huong on my list of places to visit while in Alberta.

My favourite Viet place in town. Great service from everyone, giant portions of food and the taste was top tier. I come here every time I'm in Calgary. Their beef tartare is the most famous and I can see why. Sliced thinly and combined with a vinegary sauce to cut out all the fat meatiness, it was divine. So two boys that went to the restaurant and order two dishes, one for each of them. Their Pho is mental and their service was fast and friendly.
TK Y — Google review
The bún bò Huế here is definitely the best in Calgary! I also tried the bún hến, the flavor was decent, but the ratio of vermicelli to hến xào felt off. There was a bit too much vermicelli, so when you mix everything together, the overall taste turns a bit bland. Not a huge fan of the bánh bèo either, the filling was pretty minimal.
Organic P — Google review
This restaurant has actually gone down hill. Food is not as tasty anymore. The pho broth tastes like MSG. Servers look upset all the times for no reason. They served rotten beansprout and tiny amount of dipping sauce. The to go containers are tiny and filled less than half. Won't come back and not recommend.

Pho 26 Restaurant in Calgary is a delightful destination where the rich traditions of Vietnamese cuisine come alive. This charming eatery not only allows you to bring your own pot for a unique take-home experience but also serves up an array of mouthwatering dishes that will tantalize your taste buds. The standout Pho Tom Chua Cay, or Spicy Tomyum Shrimp Noodle Soup, boasts a harmonious blend of spicy and sour flavors that dance on the palate without overwhelming it.
We’ve been here 2 time . First one in August and second time today. Food is great, portions are big, service is very nice. My 6 years old daughter told me that this is very quick place, food served super quick. We will definitely come back.

The pho broth is the BEST I've had in the city! Unique flavors that I can quite pinpoint the ingredients. Lemongrass beef is the perfect spice level for me. Mild and not too spicy. The spring rolls are crispy and chewy. We loved all our dishes and the Vietnamese coffee. Everything was all reasonably priced, and portions are really good. We will be back and bringing more family to enjoy!

Nice spot nicely decorated. Noodles were perfectly cooked, the satay peanut rib bone soup was great. The pho beef base could have been stronger for my taste. Enjoyable lunch with quick service. Will be back for the bring your own pot starting at $40 pho. It includes the soup, noodles and condiments. Make sure you bring a big pot so it won’t spill in your vehicle during the drive home. One can order more surcharge added. Call to inquire.

Pho 26 is hands down my top recommendation for pho in the city. Every visit is consistently excellent, and the quality has never let me down. My usual order is #22, a comforting and flavourful bowl that hits the spot every single time. Sometimes, I like to add an extra beef rib and let me tell you, it takes the dish to another level of deliciousness. The broth here is incredibly rich and aromatic without feeling heavy, and the meat is always tender and perfectly cooked. Service is quick and efficient, and the atmosphere is simple but welcoming. Pricing is fair for the generous portions you get. If you’re looking for a truly satisfying and authentic pho experience, Pho 26 should be your go-to. Pictured: my regular bowl of pho #22 which is always a winner.

What a great find! I was just passing by at lunchtime today and thought that I could use some Bun Thit. I went in and the lady at the counter was over-the-top nice. She made sure that I knew what I was ordering and had it prepared quickly. Since I was somewhat pressed for time, I had it to go. It was fantastic! This place rivals some of the Vietnamese restaurants that I have encountered in San Francisco!! I loved it. I will be back. The food and the people are truly wonderful!

Stepped into Pho 26 expecting a solid Vietnamese meal, and left questioning every life decision that didn't involve getting here sooner. Seriously, my taste buds are currently sending me angry emails for all the bland food they've endured until this moment. We started with the Bun Bo Hue, and let me tell you, it's not just soup, it's an experience. It’s got that spicy, savory kick that makes you simultaneously sweat and want more. My face was a delightful shade of crimson, but my soul was singing. Then came the Bún Nem Nướng, which was so perfectly grilled and delicious, I almost considered ordering another plate just for myself and hiding it under the table. No regrets. And the drinks! The Cafe Sua Da was like a liquid hug from a very strong, very sweet barista. And the Salted Lemon drink? It's the unexpected hero you never knew you needed – perfectly tart and refreshing, like a spa day for your mouth. But the real showstopper was the Three Bean Dessert. It's colorful, it's sweet, it's got beans (which sounds weird but trust me, it works!), and it’s basically happiness in a tall glass. My only complaint is that I don't have a second stomach, or perhaps a third. Pho 26, you've ruined all other Vietnamese food for me (again, in the best way possible). I'll be back, probably tomorrow, and probably for that three bean dessert again. And maybe another Bun Bo Hue. And definitely another Bún Nem Nướng. Send help (and more food).
Chris — Google review
Bun bo hue was average. The cuts of beef were very tough and the soup wasn't as flavorful as expected. Also the $2.50 for extra noodles only gives a very small portion.

Mot To Vietnamese Restaurant is a contemporary spot in Calgary, known for its classic dishes with modern twists. The interior is charming and the staff are friendly. The restaurant has been featured in Avenue Magazine's 10 best new restaurants, attracting a lively crowd with great music and cool decor.

A nice and modern Vietnamese restaurant. The food here is fancier than typical Vietnamese restaurants and has a bit of a fusion styles with other cuisines. I liked the carpaccio, fried chicken, and dessert.
Oscar K — Google review
First time trying out Mot To and I was left satisfied but not impressed. We tried the sate beef (which is highly rated on social media) and the curry chicken. Food: nicely presented, basil and bean sprouts are fresh, noodles were nicely cooked and fluffed, flavour was fine, and amount of meat was satisfactory. We came during the birthday week and got a discount, otherwise hard to justify paying the regular price for the quality, quantity and overall taste (nothing too special). Service: was prompt overall especially during the lunch rush and the restaurant was full. Atmosphere: I really enjoyed the decor and the assortment of Vietnamese cookbooks to peruse while waiting. Feels fun and modern, especially for a Vietnamese joint. Overall: a bit overpriced in my opinion for “typical” pho dishes, they do have some unique items.
Joyce H — Google review
Pleasantly surprised by this pho restaurant, considering I don’t really like that many pho places. Pho often times just never really hits the spot for me (as a vietnamese person lol) at a restaurant. A lot of the times it always tastes too artificial or it tastes like they took shortcuts, but this one was pretty good! There may be differing opinions depending on the vietnamese person you talk to but I personally thought this one was good compared to other places. The bun bo hue (spicy lemongrass soup) was also good! It tastes very closely to my family’s homemade one. Their beef carpaccio was also good, but do note there’s a raw egg that goes on top, including the egg whites. I know people who don’t like the sliminess of the egg. I didn’t mind it personally. I think this place is worth trying out and I would come back again 😊 Plus the restaurant itself looks beautiful inside!

You HAVE to eat here! The most delicious Vietnamese I’ve ever had. The Pho Grilled Cheese is a must. So creamy and saucy with soup for dipping. I don’t know how I didn’t know about this place before. Food is good, I enjoyed the satay soup quite a bit, however i am not happy with the service and atmosphere, i cant tell if you are trying to be a higher end restaurant or just another pho restaurant. The menu offers fresh and tasty food at excellent prices.
Solid spot for Pho with a great balance of sweet and savory—not overly sweet like many other places. I decided to branch out and try their Bun Bo Hue. While it wasn’t quite my style, it was flavorful and delivered a nice kick of spice. Now, their chicken wings? Absolutely next level! Perfectly crispy with a satisfying crunch and coated in delicious garlic bits—an absolute must-try. I’ll definitely be back to explore more of their menu!

I was in town for a tournament, and we went to this cute family owned restaurant. The service was great, they were very nice and was very attentive. I was very hungry after my tournament and ordered a Large Beef Satay Pho. I didn't finish as the portions were huge. But I really enjoyed how good the beef was. I shared some chicken wing, and it was also very delicious. Also over ordered but it was worth it. Then finished my meal with an iced coffee. I also tried some of the Bun Bo Hue soup from my sister, and it was nothing like home. That soup has me thinking about it. If I come back in town, I'm definitely swinging by!

Absolute gem in town, there are fewer and fewer good Pho restaurants in town and this is one of the few good ones. Small local family business with amazing staff and food. The flavors are phenomenal and the portions are very generous. Stuffed everytime we come and would definitely recommend everyone to get their pho here! The mango salad is fresh and delicious, lots of depth and textures to it. Definitely a must try. The fried noodle bowl is massive and has a decent kick of spice. Their Pho broth packs a punch with each spoon and makes you crave for more without making you thirsty. You can tell its authentic beef bone broth boiled and reduced to a powerful soup base. Can't wait for delivery to become a thing in the future!

What a gem of a find. 🏆 The service was excellent. Friendly and lots of smiles. My son goes to this restaurant fairly often but this was my first time. The B8 was highly recommended and it was delicious. The carrot sticks and cucumber had, I think, been marinaded, the chicken was delicious, and the shrimp 🍤 were great. There were lots of people picking up their takeaway orders, and the restaurant was busy by the time we left around 7:30 I recommend this super Vietnamese restaurant. It’s a gem 💎

I am going to be honest I have probably been to this restaurant 500+ times in my life.. and I have no regrets! The food is amazing, huge portions, and reasonable prices. Let me keep it simple: order a C1 it is literally life. Seems to be quite a few people disappointed in the pho/broth/etc. I have eaten pho all around the city and I honestly think the Pho Sate here (#1) is the most delicious and flavorful soup in the world. It's spicy and peanut-y and so good. The plain pho non-sate is nothing special.

My family has been coming to this Vietnamese Restaurant for many years now. Our favourites are definitely the Pho Noodles! All their other dishes are equally sumptuous and they have so many dishes/choices on their menu. Sometimes we have to wait a big longer than usual during peak hours but it’s worth it when the food arrives… hot, delicious and appetizing! A nice cozy place to enjoy some hot meals.

Friendly staff but terrible subs. Bread was old, cracked and dry, I almost broke my tooth it was so hard. The cilantro was rotten and one sub was stuffed with so many veggies there was hardly any chicken or beef. The other chicken and beef sub was so bland and chewy. Almost like it was a week old. Terrible subs for $9.50 each. Overpriced. Would NOT RECOMMEND the subs. Plenty of parking but it's a sketchy plaza. Hopefully the other food choices available are better. Not happy with quality.

This was the best vermicelli bowl I’ve EVER had! Phenomenal flavour, huge portions, and beautiful presentation. A dollar or two more than the other Vietnamese restaurant we went to in Calgary but hands down worth every penny.

The food was tasty, the place is very clean. It is well kept. The only issues that I noticed other than the small portion of the plates (and them being a little pricier than similar places) were the lack of utensils for minors.

Really great pho restaurant! Good comfort food, reasonable prices. Got the classic pho XL bowl and the portions are good, but would recommend rebranding to just large, as it wasn’t really extra large. The amount of noodles in the bowl fills you up, but not to an “extra large” amount. But, definitely does the job!

We came in group of 6 yesterday on Saturday. We all first time here and were impressed by wonderful, nice ambiance atmosphere, delicious food with beautiful presentation of vermicelli bowl, especially excellent service of a guy with glasses, he works and walks like running to take over the whole restaurant! If you’re looking for authentic, this is not the place. The pho is more like a beef noodle soup and not rich and beefy with the aroma. The meat was on the tougher side. Not sure what happened the day I was there, but it took around 25minutes to get a bowl noodle. It wasn’t very busy either. Not very satisfied.

Nestled in the heart of Forest Lawn, Pho Binh Minh Restaurant has become a beloved destination for pho enthusiasts across generations. This charming eatery is particularly famous for its signature Binh Minh special noodle soup, brimming with an array of beef cuts including brisket and tripe, all simmered in a fragrant broth that warms the soul. Diners can expect generous portions of fresh herbs, lime wedges, bean sprouts, and chili peppers to enhance their meal.
So before anyone reads this, I don’t live in Calgary. I used to live there and always would come here with friends and coworkers even though I was very far from it. Now I live in Edmonton and every time I come to Calgary I make it a must stop. It’s in the Vietnamese area and used to be pretty dodgy but since they stopped smokers from smoking in restaurant many many years ago, this place is more presentable. The food however has never changed, always awesome. Especially the Pho sate. It’s not a sàtè as you’d think of peanuts but just a spicy pho prepared. Simply divine. The eggrolls are especially noteworthy as they are made in house and not the ones you’d get at a grocery store. Simply an awesome place. I’ve been coming here for over 25 years and will continue to do so.

The worst restaurant in Calgary. My bf and I were in the mood for Vietnamese cuisine. Based on Google ratings, we decided to give it a shot. Huge mistake! It was the most disgusting food I've had in decades. We ordered sugar cane wrapped ground shrimp 35, quail 35A and sate beef with veggie spring rolls over rice vermicelli 122. Disgusting. I had ground shrimp and quail. It was dry and cold. 💯 Sure it was made 2-3 days ago. And I didn't even eat sate beef. It looked gross. Bf said it was like chewing rubber. Cold noodles, old lettuce, cold spring rolls. I tried them and they were all mushy inside and cold. Staff is so lazy and cheap. Serving 3 day old food. I'm glad I didn't eat the food, just tried a little appetizers, cause now my bf is sick to his stomach. First red flag was, food came out within 1-2 mins. I wanted to leave, but my bf is too nice and doesn't like confrontation. So I refused to eat, but he was starving and ate the food, but now feeling sick. Poor thing. And he ended up paying 45$. I'm pissed about that. I wouldn't even feed a dog with that garbage. Disgusting 🤢. There was 1 other table in the restaurant, Vietnamese people, and their food took at least 10 mins to come out and piping hot, steaming. Yet, since we are white, our food was days old and cold like ice, and came out within 2 mins. I don't see any other reason why they got fresh hot food and we got leftovers from 3 days ago! Lazy ignorant staff. Waitress had attitude and didn't even come up and ask, how was the food. So unless you're Vietnamese, do not expect hot fresh food. Empty restaurant, yet they can't make fresh food. It's appalling. I am so disappointed that I let my bf talk me into staying there and let him eat that garbage and pay for it and leave a tip. Never again we go to that dump! And Imma go on all social media, all over and spread the word. Tell all my friends. Everyone! Garbage so called "food", raggedy decor and crappy service. Just ignorant, lazy and cheap staff. Disgusting. DO NOT go there, you will regret it and might get sick too. Dump!

I really wanted to like this place, as I have heard people singing its praises. However, I just placed a pick-up order here and I am quite disappointed, to say the least. I paid for extra pork, and they seemingly gave me an extra spring roll instead. Additionally, I ended up throwing away the bubble tea I purchased, as I was under the impression that they used fresh mango due to the photo that they provided of the bubble teas online, and it was simply mango-“flavoured” powder mixed with milk, sugar, and ice. 30 dollars (including tip) seemingly down the drain, although the staff at the front were lovely upon picking up the order. I don’t think I will be back, which is a shame, as I was really excited to try this place out.

We ordered satay beef noodle and they served us with beef noodle without satay and when we asked did they give us the wrong pho they just bring us a chili oil and saying that it is the same thing in a bad attitude during the whole conversation as well their services. I went to a lot of Vietnamese pho restaurant because I love pho but this restaurant was a disappointment on both the food and the servers. Also we asked to exclude cilantro but they still served us with it. I will never visit them again.

Excellent food here, Always fresh and tasty. Their Pho soup is one of the best. Very good and attentive service.

I absolutely love this place! Food is always fresh and the service is very efficient. I know I can eat here, even if I'm in a rush. My grandma requests to come here almost every time we go out for lunch! They also have amazing vegetarian options. I haven't been able to find a veg bun bo hue that I really liked until I tried it here. I could eat it every day of the week.
Gizelle B — Google review
I've never eaten here and never wanted to, but I, along with everyone else in the entire row of fourplexes directly across the street, have the absolute PLEASURE of hearing this restaurant's obnoxious security system screaming every single night from 50 feet away. Every evening and throughout the night without fail, their back alley "surveillance system" lights up and blasts, in a grating New Zealand accent (???), "YOUR ATTENTION PLEASE. THIS AREA IS UNDER SURVEILLANCE". Who asked for this? Who is it even for? Because it sure doesn't stop the homeless folks who still camp out there. Anyone walking beside the store or even across the street on the sidewalk thirty feet away gets barked at. Wind blows? It goes off. I step outside my gate? It goes off. I hear it from inside my home. Every. Single. Night. From 9 PM until sunrise. It doesn't deter anyone. It doesn't improve safety. If anything, it draws unnecessary attention to our homes and makes us LESS safe. No warning. No communication. No courtesy. And this kind of repeated noise, especially at night and right beside a residential area, isn't just annoying. It's a nuisance. Speaking of which, this place routinely gets its dumpsters picked up for garbage or deliveries at 3 AM. Multiple times, I've woken up to loud crashes and beeping from the trucks taking their garbage. I'm now looking into what local noise or property-use bylaws have to say about businesses that disrupt the peace of nearby homes for hours on end. Maybe it's just the Forest Lawn mentality, where you slap something loud and stupid somewhere and call it a day because you don't care. I hope that the noodles are at least good to make up for the pure annoyance the place causes the people who live nearby. EDIT: On August 13th, 2025, I was woken up yet again at 3:30 AM by loud crashes outside. This time, I saw the company name on the truck hauling away this restaurant's dumpsters: T and T Disposal Services. Since these dumpsters already attract illegal household garbage from people all over the neighbourhood, the "solution" appears to be servicing them in the middle of the night - directly beside a residential block and a busy four way intersection. My thanks to the disposal company for the regular middle of the night pickups, and to this restaurant for continuing to ignore the disturbances entirely.

Pho 99 is a modern Vietnamese restaurant with plenty of comfortable seating and quick, attentive service. The Pho is highlighted for its incredible broth and tender meat, while other dishes like crepes and vermicelli are also praised for their flavor. The family-style restaurant in Crowfoot offers good value for money compared to other Vietnamese places in Calgary. Customers appreciate the rich and full-flavored chicken base used in their soups.
Vietnamese food is definitely one of my favourite cuisines so I had high expectations for this place. The atmosphere was very modern and there was plenty of seating and was quite comfortable as well. The service was amazing as our food came quick and the server frequently came by to fill up our water. Finally the food which was incredible, the broth in the Pho was great and the meat was extremely tender so no complaints from me. My friends said the crepe, subs and vermicelli were all very flavourful and tender. Overall if I’m in the area I will definitely drop by here.

The house special beef soup tastes decent, but the biggest problem is, a part of the beef tastes sour, which means the beef has gone bad. Well, that’s gross but at least I didn’t get sick because of that. The server is friendly, and gave me a satay sauce for free. The store is very clean, the music is very nice.
Jackie — Google review
Very big restaurant!! I remember that the location used to be Ricky’s for a long time. I personally think that it is too big for a Vietnamese restaurant. I enjoyed their dishes on Canada Day. The broth of the noodle soup was not 100% perfect for me, but the vermicelli with pork and spring rolls was so good. My husband and I were pretty satisfied with their dishes. I will be back!!
Ana C — Google review
Been here a handful of times now and I just find anything I order is delicious and comes out quick. The food is very reasonably priced, and somehow it's always quiet when I go there, which considering the aforementioned things I find quite surprising. I always look forward to returning!

stopped by Pho99 for lunch ordered their Sate Beef Pho. It wasn’t busy, which was nice. The soup base looked too clear, sate flavor was too weak which is weird because their pic before looks strong. The beef was overcooked, but the noodles were pretty good.

Our new favorite place for Vietnamese food!! We've been here 3x in a month! The owner is so so friendly and attentive which enriches the experience even more. Fantastic tasting chicken wings! Nice portions and served hot & fresh out of the kitchen. Lots of free parking and open 7 days every week. Come and taste for yourself! 👍👍👍

Such an amazing restaurant, the servers are humble and friendly was so accommodating making sure our little one had a high chair, priced well and lots of flavour! The portion size was huge I was so satisfied after the meal, just amazing! The restaurant had lots of space good for families for sure, will be coming often

We used to LOVE Pho 99, but we haven’t been in years and after returning yesterday with our family we had a disappointing experience that did not live up to their past service and quality. The atmosphere has always been a 2 star BUT the food and service more than made up for this in the past. Yesterday, we came in for dinner around 5:30 and the place was nearly empty. There were two other tables and our server was frequently unavailable to ask for the basics that were forgotten - side plates, more water which had been asked for, etc. The salad rolls were falling apart - the rice paper not adhering and full of holes making it difficult to eat. The curry soup which was reportedly not spicy was so spicy no one at the table could eat it- for reference I ordered this all the time in the past and had no issue. The establishment is in dire need of repairs and general maintenance but being literally taped together in an attempt to hide the sewer gas smells in the washroom. So unfortunate to see this after this was one of our favourite go to restaurants 3 years ago.

Pho Hoan Pasteur in Quarry Park is a charming Vietnamese restaurant located in the scenic riverside area of Calgary. The aroma of their flavorful broth wafts through the entire parking lot, drawing you in. The Spicy Peanut Satay soup is particularly outstanding, and the vermicelli is also highly recommended. The grilled lemongrass chicken and pork are bursting with delicious flavors, and the beef pho comes in generous portions with ample amounts of beef.
I got #15 for take out. If you enjoy a cleaner broth with lots of fixings, this is the right one for you! Sometimes I really don’t like the beef broth by itself but this one was great. Also, they added a lot of beef (which is at the bottom of the bowl in picture)! Will definitely come again. I prefer this place to others in the area

The food tastes great. My kids loved the pho soup and my meal #24B it's tasty as well. The atmosphere is nice and Khoi's service is nice and friendly. Good job! We will come back again.

I ordered the XL Satay Bowl and it was ok. The soup was thick but the taste was mediocre. The service of the waitress however was not great and seemed like she has an attitude talking. The restaurant was practically empty during lunch hour on weekend but there was basically no service. The noodles were clumped together and there were just pretty much beef and noodles in my bowl with barely any onions. Definitely had better Pho around and wouldn’t recommend for the price for an extra large bowl for the quality.
Carlson N — Google review
Bun Bo Hue was pretty flavourless, was feeling extra hungry so I opted for the XL size which was almost $20. Someone else at the table got a Large and got substantially more noodles than me. Like others have stated, way better options elsewhere and cheaper too.
James Z — Google review
I’m a big Pho fan and have tried many in Calgary and this was not my fave place and likely will choose others over Pho Hoan. Flavour of the broth was pretty meh. I was mostly disappointed that the only meatless option was still beef broth and just noodles. So not vegetarian friendly. Every other Pho place has veggies and tofu included (with a veggie broth option), and not $5 extra for steamed veggies. Price is good and nice that you can order a small size, but still not the greatest ever.
Erin M — Google review
A piece Hair and 3 pieces of bone were in 3 different dishes. The quality control in the kitchen is way off. The meat seasoning/sauce is mediocre and doesn't makeup for the shoddy food quality. Bubble tea is average at best. They add lychee pearl and I'm sure people love it but I find it over powers your chosen flavor so not my favourite. Service was typical subpar. Would not come back, there's much better in the city.

Beautiful place... good food... excellent presentation. Owner/manager very helpful as I made a big mistake on my pickup order... felt at home here. Will definitely be back.

One of the best Pho, I have tried. Menus are easy to understand and order. Went on Saturday evening not quite busy. Pleasing interior with authentic viatnamese paintings. Their vermicelli dishes were not as good as thier noodle bowl. I personally like their fried shrimp and spicy beef pho with peanuts. The $15 XL soup bowl is great Value. The staff was not very friendly and helpful, the waiter didn't even bother to ask about the food or to refill water. We have to call 3 three times to get forks. We drove 25 mins to get there, it's totally worth the drive. If craving for pho this is the place to go.

Good and busy place. Went for a dinner for two, delicious sautéed fish in clay pot. The portion is a tick small in my opinion vs the price tag but not a big deal to us. Will be back!

Absolutely delicious pho. Good portion sizes and meat/noodle ratio for the price. Ordered egg rolls as well came out hot and fresh from fryer. Woman was walking around who I assume to be the owner, very attentive and greeted everyone like family. She was even kind enough to make sure I knew how to drink the Vietnamese coffee correctly (which was delicious).

This is my favorite Vietnamese restaurant in Calgary. I always get their pho #9 and the vermicelli noodles #22. The broth is sweet and savory and is one of the best you’ll ever try. The vermicelli rice noodles have sweet and tasty sausages and crispy egg rolls. They have the best customer service as well. Everyone of their staff were very welcoming and made sure we enjoyed our meal and overall stay! I will always recommend this to family and friends.

Absolutely the best Vietnamese restaurant in Calgary, the food is delicious, and the portions are humongous! It can get busy, but there's a reason. And if you get the opportunity to check them out, you'll know exactly why!

Tried somewhere new this evening based off the reviews on Reddit, and it did not disappoint! Cozy atmosphere and the owners are delightful. Very friendly and kept checking in to make sure we were satisfied with the food. Huge portions, we usually order large bowls because the regular isn’t enough, but we couldn’t finish. I had the satay chicken pho and my husband had the beef. Very flavorful broth and felt we got a lot for the price.

Quiet, unassuming yet welcoming and familiar.. I have lived and traveled in Asia and abroad, and I can honestly say this is as authentic as you get. There is no need for expensive decor, tapestry, or flair. The love is there...in every greeting, warm welcome, and how personal the service is. It is a perfect setting for time with loved ones or treating yourself to an enriching solo lunch. Unbelievable food and experience every time, and that is rare.

This restaurant is truly a local gem. The fried rice may not look so special, but the texture of it is perfect; not too crispy or waterly. The other dishes are more than good as well.

satay is not satay. I ordered the Satay Chicken pho (No.35) and I was very disappointed. The soup base was very watery with no peanuts, peanut sauce, and kecap manis in it. It's like chili oil added to chicken soup. Taste just fine but definitely not satay .

This Vietnamese restaurant in the NE has been our family’s favourite for over 15 years now. It has changed owners but the quality and quantity remain the same - authentic and delicious! Everything is reasonably priced too! We keep coming back for more as it’s really been the most consistent Vietnamese restaurant in Calgary, in my humble opinion.

I’ve been coming here since early 2000s this place does not disappoint. Food portions are generous. Quality is 10/10. Kind and friendly. I just miss the early 2000s price tag but for $16 you have leftover for the next day.

My family and I stopped here after a flight into Calgary for lunch. Restaurant was pretty empty for Monday lunchtime - so attended yo and seated fairly quickly. Ordered the spare ribs in clay pot, vegetables & tofu, and pork banh-mi - all were fantastic and felt incredibly fresh. Service was great despite what many other reviews say on here - they were all really accommodating especially since we had our kiddo with us.

This Vietnamese restaurant is one of the few that we have found that serves the DIY wraps. We love this type of wrap with flavorful meats, rice noodles, Thai basil and fresh lettuce. The service is efficient and unemotional. The restaurant seating is pretty tight but better now with the COVID plastic partitions...at least we don't feel like we are eating with the table next to us. Their washrooms are clean but the best part is that the washroom faucet does actually give hot water on the hot water side! Overall, a pretty good spot to satisfy a craving for authentic Vietnamese food.

Stopped by this restaurant at 7:50pm, they close at 8:30 pm. Most Vietnamese places are pretty quick so i figured i had enough time. As soon as i walk in, the 2 servers standing at the counter look at me and both make a big show of looking up at their big clock. They talk among themselves and then one of them reluctantly comes to show me to my table. Very dry manner and I could tell she was not happy to serve me. I ordered and ate quickly and made it out by 8:15 pm. Funny thing was a few more groups arrived after I did but they weren't treated the same. Food was fine but the service was so bad and unwelcoming, I will probably not be back. I mentioned it to a gentleman who I assume was the manager while one of the servers was there but they were just silent. Very disappointing experience. If you dont want to serve people at the time I arrived, perhaps you should change your hours.

Bagolac Saigon Restaurant is a delightful gem nestled near Chinook Mall in Calgary, renowned for its authentic Vietnamese and Thai cuisine. With a modern dining space that accommodates many guests, this eatery has established itself as a favorite among locals over the years. The welcoming staff create an inviting atmosphere, often recognizing regular patrons and their preferred dishes.
This is our favorite location any time we go to Chinook, to the point where we will manage our schedule to be able to come here. Food is consistently fresh and great, they are quick to serve, and the pricing is very reasonable. The kind of place you are a bit reluctant to review so it doesn't get too busy!

The service was quick and friendly, and it was a no-nonsense kind of location. I ordered a pho and it was pretty good, though the beef was already cooked by the time it reached me unfortunately. Service was quick and friendly, and I noticed how they calmly dealt with another customer that was demanding and unreasonable with empathy and a deescalating reaction. I will be back to try more items on the menu!

Friendly staff and excellent service. I've ordered the charbroiled lemongrass chicken with vermicelli and wonton soup. I must say I liked it but it did not really exceeded from my expectations. Nothing surprises me.

I found the staff here to be quite friendly. There is definitely a regular clientele here as the staff would know their names and even what they normally order. They are very welcoming here which is probably why they have so many regulars here. The food came out hot and delicious in a short amount of time. The Shrimp Salad Rolls tasted good with fresh basil in them. The Vermicelli Noodles with Lemongrass Chicken and Spring rolls was quite large and filled me up for sure. Their menu is quite large and their prices are quite competitive. I can see why it has been open for 20 years or so. I am sure that they will be open for 20 more. There is plenty of parking and the CTrain Station is just across the street. Good location.

Spacious restaurant with variety of dishes on the menu. However, the food just taste not authentic and not good. The pad Thai was fishy, pricey ($15 bucks), not presentable and just gross. Additionally, I felt being judged and not welcome when we left. They did not even say thank you or ask for feedbacks.

Definitely NOT what it used to be. Used to go here for years, but moved away. I was in the area and thought I’d enjoy some Bun Soup and bring back fond memories. Not so much. The soup was tasteless, half the portion of usual (hard to see in the picture, but the bowl wasn’t even half full), the meat (pork) was tough and tasteless. NO FLAVOR. I’ve never had that in this soup; they combine a little bowl containing fish sauce, water, rice vinegar, etc, so there should be nice contract in flavours. Not today. When I paid the bill I told the waitress that quality was not up to standards. She actually said I should leave a review…so I’m guessing I am not the first person that has told her.

Great Pho place. BUT always DOUBLE CHECK the price before you pay, they add a dish or two (that you didn’t order) - I would understand that it could be a mistake, if it happened once and if the restaurant was busy. But, this happened multiple times and my recent visit was when the restaurant had 2 other tables. My favourite Pho place in town, but they will put it an effort to charge you more.

Pho Thanh Vietnamese Noodle House is a simple and cozy restaurant where you can enjoy some delicious Pho Noodles. They have lots of choices on the menu. We ordered the (1) Thanh’s Special Beef Pho, (10) Pho Tai that comes with slices of rare beef, flank, tendon and tripe. The (15) Pho Sate also tasted delicious. Simply love the clear beef broth … very appetizing and everything tasted delicious!

Been coming here for years. This place has been in the neighborhood for a long time. The broth is clean and simple yet delicious. Toppings are sufficient. They are very fast with your order - you order and it arrives in a few minutes. Service is reasonable but you'll have to wave the waiter/waitress down if you need something as they'll leave you alone after taking your order and bringing the food. May 2025 update - still very good and fast. The #10 they have is really good in both taste and portion. Pork salad rolls were great. They also have a very good chicken pho for those wanting something lighter.

I've been coming to this pho noodle house on and off for many years, pretty regularly in the past, though it has been a few years. I had the chance to return the other day. My favourite charbroiled lemongrass chicken on steamed rice is still one of the best I've ever had, and the jasmine tea is just like I remember it. I like the decor improvements that have been undertaken since I last ate here, including new tables, chairs, and paint. Removing the extra long tables was a good idea as being sat with strangers in the past was uncomfortable and the long tables made access difficult. For ambiance it was pretty quiet when I was there, but during busy times it can be quite noisy as it's a large open room. I do wish their staff were as memorable as the food, and their less friendly nature is the primary reason I haven't been here in awhile. However, I do recommend stopping by for a meal, and don't forget to try their delicious Vietnamese coffee!
Sally M — Google review
I used to work in the area and came here for lunch every Monday, for over 15 years. Sometimes even twice a week. Then I moved out of town and haven't been back for a year or so. A few weeks ago, I met some friends/ex-coworkers here for lunch, ordered my usual ("7 Large with Satay on the side") and the bowl that came out looked like the Small bowl from years ago. I confirmed that I was brought a "Large". So amidst good conversation at the table, I performed my usual ritual of tearing up some Basil and preparing a side-bowl of Hoisin dipping sauce, and took a spoonful of broth and what I tasted on my tongue was very different from the very excellent broth I was used to. This time the broth was decidedly less 'meaty' and more salty/MSG. I added my usual dollop of Satay which thankfully hadn't changed. But the broth is definitely different, less hardy, more salty. Has there been a change of ownership? I have a few Pho spots throughout the city that I also like and Pho Thanh was always my benchmark for how good a Pho place is; but I don't know if I'll be back.

Bow River Restaurant is a delightful spot for those craving authentic Vietnamese cuisine in Calgary. Known for its generous portions, this eatery serves up steaming bowls of pho and other delectable dishes that are perfect for dining in or enjoying at home through takeout or delivery. The modern ambiance adds to the experience, making it a great place to gather with friends, family, or coworkers.
Get 10% off paying cash option. Got their satay pho. Pretty standard. Small portion for mung bean sprouts

Came here on a Sunday for lunch when the family was craving for soup. It's in a tiny strip mall and the parking lot is quite small. Inside the restaurant is bright but not much in the way of decorations. While looking at the menu, one thing we noted is that the prices were a dollar or two more than other Vietnamese places. My wife ordered the Wonton Soup and she liked it. My kids shared the beefball noodle soup but what came was beefball and beef - not a big deal but there were only a few beefballs. I had the Vermicelli special and had a spring roll appetizer. It was pretty good. The portions were decent - probably in the mid-size range of most places. There were a few tables occupied but wasn't very busy. While it was find it's a little ways for us so probably won't be back.

My kid made Vietnamese subs in foods last week. She loved it. She wanted to try another one. I saw this restaurant today and took her there to order her the sub she wanted. She ordered a grilled chicken sub and she loved every bite. Will definitely be coming back for more!!

Quaint little place with ample seating, good sound absorption and pleasing atmosphere. You don't feel overwhelmed and the staff treat you very well. The portion sizes are appropriate given the time we are all living through and the cost is respectable. I cannot complain about this style of food ever. One of my go to pieces is the deep fried won ton appetizer, among vermicelli dishes. Can never go wrong having such a convenient location. While parking out front might be a bit of a challenge due to the location, it does not detract from the fun within! I especially love the hot tea they provide. An incredible pallete cleanser! I had the seafood bowl which was incredible, to say the least, especially since it was spicy. Thank you so much for your service and food. I will be back.

My wife and I came here today and found the food to be excellent. My only complaint was that the service was not at the same level as the food. I suspect that they may be understaffed. As well the parking is less than ideal. Prices were fair. Nevertheless we had a great meal and will return.

This place is an awesome little hole in the wall. I got #22, the soup was great but the broth was INCREDIBLE. The young man who was our server was visiting family from LA and was super nice and fun to talk with. I’m glad we stopped by here on this cold rainy day. I’ll be back for sure!

One of the great affordable Vietnamese restaurant with prompt service. I tried one of their popular menu item which grilled chicken, spring rolls on a rice vermicelli and I was impressed for the price. The rice vermicelli was not dry, grilled chicken was cooked well and so does the spring roll. The soup broth was also well done although one of the soup bowl had less protein ingredients compared to the rest, but apart from that I highly recommend it. I will come back when I get back.

My dish was so oily. It makes foods more delicious but not healthy. So much dianthus flavor in the food that I didn't like it. On the other side, the environment was cozy and clean. The green tea for the starter was great.

Saigon Royal Restaurant is a Vietnamese eatery that offers a variety of traditional dishes such as pho, vermicelli noodle dishes, and stir-fries. The restaurant has a casual atmosphere and serves its food in a stylish space decorated with hanging crystal chandeliers, patio lights, and plants. It is an ideal place to enjoy brunch or have a romantic dinner. Visitors can try their delicious vermicelli and chicken pho, as well as other menu items.
Tom and his family and staff are amazing! I’ve been visiting this place steadily for 10 years now, and I’m treated like family when I visit. Hands down the best Vietnamese in the City, and as everyone knows I am the number 1 fan of Order #28B , grilled chicken Thai satay soup. In fact, I believe I’ve had it well over 100 times in a row thus far- seriously! I don’t waiver from what I know is the best spot in town for my absolute favourite dish. Thanks Saigon for being a part of our community and providing a level of service that’s been lost in this day n age.

Such amazing food, great attention to service and such kind people. Love the food here, found this spot on google maps on a whim. I would really recommend the ribs and the pho combination with beef, tripe and beef balls. This is a must go to place.

I can’t recommend this place enough. The food is incredible, so fresh and so flavourful. It never disappoints! The staff are friendly and attentive. Five stars all the way!
Aziza A — Google review
Came in around 5:15 pm and was seated promptly after someone finally greeted us. Only one other table was there and they were leaving. This is probably the cleanest Vietnamese restaurant I’ve been to. At first I thought it was because of all the take out orders, because numerous food delivery service providers were coming in and out. I also wondered whether that was the cause of our food being super slow. We ordered a salad roll, the chicken wings, a vermicelli dish, a rice dish, a beef pho, and a bun bo hue. The salad roll came out after about 20 minutes and the chicken wings shortly after. Then everything except the bun Bo hue came, and I waited an extra 5-10 minutes while others were eating to finally get it. Most other pho restaurants, the soup noodles come out in about 5-10 minutes. The salad rolls were very bland. The chicken wings were very overcooked-to the point that some of the bones were brittle enough to chew. I was told the vermicelli was very dry. The chicken satay on rice was under seasoned. The pho was fine, but also under seasoned. I thought the bun Bo hue had good flavour, but the beef was clumped together and there were no pork hocks. Overall, I’m surprised that the restaurant has 4.8 stars and will not recommend or return, as I have better options at home.
Gloria C — Google review
Ordered takeout after a long day, hoping for a satisfying meal. I went with the Shrimp Salad Rolls, the Saigon Royal Special Vermicelli and an extra portion of porkballs. Unfortunately, the salad rolls that arrived weren’t shrimp at all—instead, it was a sautéed meat of some kind. Pretty disappointing, especially since I was really craving those shrimp rolls. On the upside, the Saigon Royal Vermicelli looked great right out of the box and came with a generous portion—definitely enough for one very hungry person. The shrimp, charbroiled pork, and meatballs all had that classic Vietnamese flavor I was expecting. It wasn’t mind-blowing, but it was tasty and filling, and the price felt fair. The standout for me? The Porkballs. Super flavorful and definitely the most memorable part of the meal. Glad I decided to order extra! Bottom line: Calgary has a ton of Vietnamese spots, so it’s tough for any one place to really shine. While Saigon Royal wasn’t my personal favorite, it does have a solid reputation and plenty of positive reviews. Give it a try—who knows, it might hit the spot for you.

I can’t believe I only just discovered this little Vietnamese gem so close to my house, and it’s been around since the early 2010s! The food was absolutely AMAZING, fresh, and full of flavor. The staff were so kind and welcoming, and the restaurant was spotless. It’s a true hole-in-the-wall, but with top-notch food and service. I’m so glad I finally found it, and I’ll definitely be coming back often.

Very clean little spot on in a strip mall. Excellent food and fair prices. I have the bun bo hue and a vermicelli bowl. I devoured everything and was not disappointed at all. While I have enjoyed a soup more from another location in my home town, calling the food that I received anything less than 5 star would be a lie. I am out of town for work and am glad I found a spot close to my residence with such delicious food at a great price. I'll be back, that's for sure.

Delivery Restaurant
Nestled in Calgary, Noodle King Vietnamese Restaurant is a charming and relaxed eatery that invites you to indulge in the rich flavors of Vietnamese cuisine. With an extensive menu featuring everything from aromatic bowls of pho to hearty stir-fried noodle dishes, this restaurant caters to every palate. Whether you're dining in or opting for delivery, you'll find comfort in their soul-satisfying offerings. Guests rave about the tender beef stew with egg noodles, highlighting its deep broth and melt-in-your-mouth meat.
This place is often regarded as the best Vietnamese noodle restaurant in Calgary by many in the Chinese community. I decided to give it a try today. Their most famous dish is the Satay Vietnamese Beef Noodles, but since I wasn’t in the mood for something spicy, I opted for the soup noodles instead. The flavor was excellent, though whether it’s truly the best is subjective. Regardless, if you enjoy Vietnamese noodles, it’s worth a visit. I also ordered the pan-fried dumplings. They were decent, but unless you’re a big fan of dumplings, you’re not missing out if you skip them. Next time, I’ll definitely try their signature satay noodles.

Noodle King Vietnamese Restaurant is one of the best of authentic cuisine. The dinning service at the Noodle King Vietnamese Restaurant is generally quick and friendly, making it an easy choice for all solo/family dinings, casual meals, quick lunches and group gatherings. This unique place had only one-size meals. Unlike other Vietnamese Restaurants, they had three sizes. Small, normal, and large. Affordable prices and varies of meals. This place had the most respectable trained staff. They were friendly, attentive and efficient. Quick service was crucial for maintaining pleasant dining experience. I was shocked that one of the staff was handle professionally . She was multi-tasking with a group of 10 customers + at the checkout of payments with ease, in addition; she was on the phone taking orders at the same time. She earned my respects and values. #38 - Noodle King special vermicelli is one of the signature meal. The combination of flavors of the dish was truly delightful. The savory beef and pork paired well with the crunchy spring rolls, while the fresh vegetables added a cooling contrast. The secret sauce added everything together, balanced sweet, sour and the after-taste burp. Only negative was there was no official website. They had Skip, however, this restaurant is not registered. Unbelievable experiences and highly recommend for the locals and tourists.
Michael C — Google review
I visited Noodle King and tried the satay chicken noodle and steamed shrimp wrapper. The experience was pleasant overall, though not particularly outstanding. The chicken slices were modest in portion, and the wrapper skin was thicker than expected, especially when compared to the more delicate versions I’ve had in Vietnam. That said, the flavors were decent, and while the dishes didn’t wow me, they were good enough for a casual meal. I’d consider returning to try other items on the menu.
Janice C — Google review
I’ve never had such delicious noodles and spring rolls in Calgary. The rolls were crispy and not oily like in other restaurants. Also, it was the first time I didn’t feel a stomachache after having satay noodles — the taste was the best.
Chi T — Google review
Sadly we were quite disappointed with the flavours of the pho and bun bo hue. Visiting from Edmonton and this was close to the hotel. Had good reviews so we gave it a try. It was steady with locals so perhaps it’s the flavour profile that’s more local. Definitely not for us.

4.7 ⭐️ Top choice for Pho Sate. Ground up peanuts in a creamy sate coconut sauce unlike most other restaurants where the chilli oil is not homogenous with the soup base and floats on the top surface of the soup itself. This spot is well known for their Sate. Best In Alberta.
Samuel — Google review
Ate here while in Calgary because it was recommended by a YouTuber. The satay beef noodle soup is amazing! Make sure to order the special beef noodle soup and then upgrade to satay by adding $3. You'll get a lot more meat (beef balls, tripe, and brisket) compared to the plain satay beef noodle. Excellent service also (looks like it's family owned). This will be a go-to place every time I'm in Calgary.

Nice restaurant with comfortable booths and service was great. We tried the grilled beef skewers which were the best we've had so we ordered another one! Highly recommend the skewers. For the mains we had grilled pork with vermicelli and spring rolls. Both were good but not better than most other good Vietnamese restaurants. We would go back for sure.

Unethical business practices in my opinion. I normally just let it go when I have negative experiences, but I just want to warn others to be careful when you order. I wanted number 21 and asked if it came with one or two rolls. From what I understood, she told me that the dish would come with two rolls for the price of $15.49. However, the lady taking my order misunderstood(?) me and did not tell me that it was 21A I was paying for with 2 rolls for $17.99 which is much pricier for what it came with. Aside from the misunderstanding, the beef was very heavily salted and the dish itself just was not worth it for $17.99. Additionally, my friend wanted the shrimp vermicelli bowl with veggie spring rolls and they charged us extra to SUBSTITUTE the pork spring rolls for veggie and didn’t even tell me that there was a surcharge. These two instances together left a very bad taste in my mouth and I would warn others to be careful when ordering because I was not made aware of many of the extra charges. Also, there are many better Vietnamese places in the city for more reasonable prices.

Saigon Red Sky, a Vietnamese eatery located in NW Calgary, is known for its friendly and helpful staff. Customers appreciate the politeness of the employees. The vermicelli dishes are highly recommended, featuring generous portions of chicken and beef. Additionally, the shrimp salad rolls are a favorite alongside their authentic peanut sauce, which stands out due to its rich flavor that is not diluted like some cheaper establishments.
We really enjoyed this place. The food was excellent, and the servings are abundant. The service was very friendly and the food came quickly. I ordered the lemongrass beef, and it was delicious with perfectly cooked crispy broccoli and other vegetables. My wife had the wonton noodle soup and it too was excellent. 2022 June 3★ Located in a small strip plaza, you'll find this Vietnamese restaurant. Inside, you'll find it's fairly clean with about 10 tables and enough seating for about 35 people. Satay Beef Rice Noodle Soup $13.50 for the large size. Wasn't bad, fairly authentic (though had better elsewhere). Portions were good. Free parking available. There are 2 spots dedicated to the restaurant. Parking can be difficult as there's a popular pizza store in the plaza.

I love beef satay soup and tried it here. I do prefer a non-peanut based satay soup and liked the broth flavour. However, it had a thick layer of oil on it. My husband had the vegetarian vermicelli bowl and did not like their fish sauce. I would like to give it a try again but

Visiting from Edmonton and decided to try Saigon Red Sky for luncg as it was close to where I was staying and have never been before. Restaurant is clean and well lit. Ordered deep fried wontons but ate a bunch before I took the picture. There were lots more on the plate. Had the Beef & Chicken Vermicelli bowl and it was a generous size. Food tasted great, and the service was quick and friendly. Lots of Skip orders going out the door while we were there... Seems to be a popular takeaway restaurant.

A bit disappointing. Ordered take out pho sate which was popular and regular pho. Both were quite bland. Not terrible but average. I like that the noodles didn’t break easily like some other pho places when you do take out. But I had to add a bit of fish sauce to enhance the flavour which I rarely do. Maybe they had an off day?

What a satisfying bowl of pho! The broth was so rich with deep flavours. The meat was thick cut and tender. Beef balls was seasoned well. Overall with quality and taste, this place is a authentic gem. I had the special noodle soup 13.55. will definitely return to try other dishes. Price range 12-15.00. they do have lunch special for 14.50 I think. Comes with a vermicelli bowl, one salad roll and a pop. Ends at 2pm. Service was average. They bring your food and drinks. Then they leave you alone. No free tea here.

The best!!! Their soup broth is always consistent and very flavourful. Best time to come is after the lunch rush or dinner time. Staff are always nice and accommodating as we always request steamed veggies in any of the soups we order and they are generous in their portions. Highly recommend trying if you haven’t already.

Best Vietnamese pho in Calgary! The broth is clear and prices are $12-14 which is amazing. The rare beef pho has great soup base and has deep but not salty or msg flavours (which is good and I usually eat less salt). The noodles are perfectly cooked and there is so much beef. The seafood satay has lots of real seafood (not imitation crab). You can tell they use real genuine food here. You can't beat the price here! The owner and staff are nice too. Overall, highly recommend!!!

I came in to try the Spicy Sate Peanut Butter Soup with Beef. It is peanuty in the best way that is enriching rather than overwhelming. Very flavourful with a great portion for the price; there was more than enough beef for every spoonful of soup and noodles. The service was fast, efficient, and helpful. I was taken care of from the moment I came in. I've been to a million Vietnamese restaurants in Calgary but this one is by far the best! I haven't gone anywhere else since I discovered it in 2018 when they opened their MacLeod location. Its the first restaurant we go after we arrived Calgary. We love their Pho too much and we devide to go again a day after. This time we get their hidden menu - tendo! Its closed to the hotel nearby, 8 mins walk. I also tried some Vietnamese restaurants' house special Pho in Vancouver but this one is the best overall. The owners are kind and passionate. Noodles are tasty and soup are fresh in flavor. They serve tendo sometimes but its not in the menu. If you are a tendo lover, it worths a try!

If you live in the area or are visiting Calgary - this restaurant is a hidden gem! This is a family run business making their family’s dishes. It is hands down the best Vietnamese food that we (myself and my family) have ever tried. Over the last decade and a bit (yes I have been a customer this long), I have worked in different teams where this restaurant is everyone’s favourite go to. There were past location changes that made everyone I had worked with panic because this is everyone’s favourite Vietnamese restaurant. The food is delish! If you eat something more spicy, they can do that! If you want a dish that is usually served with vermicelli but instead prefer rice - no fuss, they can do that too! If you haven’t eaten here yet, change that! If you haven’t eaten with them since their move (it’s been years!) this is where they are now! The dishes are still their same great flavours! Hands down, this is the best Vietnamese restaurant in Calgary! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Popped in for a quick lunch and because my hubby is a pho addict. The service was very friendly and fast. Pescatarian daughter had a shrimp pho my hubby had the spicy beef satay and both loved the soup💕 I ordered a chicken with rice and veggies which was also good, light with a tasty sauce. The lunch special came with spring rolls which were also very good. A pot of tea was instantly brought to the table which was lovely; however, we all would have liked a glass of water and that did’t happen. Simple strip mall location on McLeod Trail but worth checking out or ordering from. We have come back a few times and it is good every time. Service is great and they cater to your allergies. Water and tea ever since our first visit.

I called to let them know about the mistake as I understand these things can happen, but I was met with someone on the phone who is extremely rude and told me when I order meat. I need to call the restaurant and have it cooked properly and people like me are stupid so now I’m going to share everything I would not recommend eating here. It’s absolutely disgusting and they’re stupidity makes them even worse. I strongly don’t recommend eating here. Anyone who would answer their phone and say that to a customer ordering from Skip the dish that they need to call the restaurant in order to have their meat cooked should not be in charge of serving anyone meals my kids tonight did bite into the meat. Luckily, I caught them before they got really deep into it. I am disgusted and appalled by this restaurant and their lack Care I truly believe that the person that made this meal should not be able to be around food. I will be dealing with Alberta health services early this week.

Ordered in and was not disappointed. Hubby had the beef vermicelli and I had the veggie vermicelli both came with spring rolls. The veggies in the vermicelli dishes nice and fresh. Spring rolls delicious and not greasy at all. Delivered within 25 minutes.

We are back for their tasty soup noodles. Enjoyed very much their food. Soup broth is balance and hot (temperature wise) which is important for soup noodles. Ordered spring rolls as well. Good selections of menu and food along with Vietnamese coffee and bubble tea. Recommended!

This place has been around forever and still serves up a killer bowl of pho. The pho broth still have it's signature, beefy and oily goodness. I had my traditional Bo Kho noodle soup, loaded with beef tendon and chunks of beef. Amazing complex flavor from it's carrots and onions. My wife has the Bun Bo Hue and said it's solid. Very good.

We come here for lunch quite often as our office isn't too far away. The food has never disappointed us and we have tried most items on the menu. The one dish I find myself coming back to has been the chicken and shrimp fried rice which I can never get enough of. I have a feeling the service is more in tune with what you would receive in Vietnam so you will have to make eye contact and indicate that you need something if you do. They are incredibly friendly and will get you anything you need but it is different from the typical western style of service when the server drops by every few minutes to check on you. I will definitely be back!

All the foods we ordered were delicious, especially the sub. The bread was crunchy and the filling they made smelled so nice! Worth with the price. By the way, the staff/owner were very friendly, very willing to help you.

We typically order from Saigon as its been our go to for years. We wanted to try something new and this place was a nice surprise. We both got vermicelli and it was delicious, fresh and affordable. Will definitely visit again, glad there's so much competition in the area!

Cuty Restaurant is a relaxed Vietnamese eatery that serves up pho, rice dishes, and various other familiar options. The space and food are both highly enjoyable, with friendly service and an extensive menu offering. The prices are reasonable for the generous portions of good quality food provided. While the curry may have had a higher liquid content, its flavor remained intact. The Bahn xeo comes highly recommended.
Their dishes are fantastic—I can’t even decide which one I like the most! We went to Calgary for a two-day trip and spent most of our time dining here. The staffs were really friendly. Would love to be back again and try out other items.

It’s been a while since I last visited this restaurant, as I live a bit far away. Today, my partner and I decided to stop by again, and as always, the food did not disappoint. Everything was authentic and delicious, just as I remembered. A special mention to our waitress, Truc – she was cheerful, welcoming, and provided excellent, professional service. Overall, I highly recommend this place. Definitely worth trying all the dishes!

Authentic Hanoi bun cha! Tasted just like what we had in Hanoi years ago. Awesome food and nice vibe. Waitress is kind and even check on us to see if everything is ok~ Also oso order Quang Noodle, I cant remember the taste we had in Danang LOL but i hope they can add in dried noodle option! That’s the best i remembered from Danang! Highly recommended 🥰

Food here was great, especially enjoyed the pho. The bun thit nuong cha gio was tasty, as well as the grilled combo wrap and roll. Flavours were good overall and felt decently authentic. Solid Vietnamese restaurant in Calgary.

Delicious Southern Vietnamese food – highly recommend! This place totally won me over! I had the bún riêu, mì Quảng, and bún mắm – all three dishes were absolutely spot on with bold, authentic Vietnamese flavors. The bún riêu had a rich tomato-crab broth, the mì Quảng was flavorful and beautifully presented, and the bún mắm was intense and addictive (in the best way!). Everything tasted just like home. Super fresh ingredients, generous portions, and friendly service made it even better. If you love Vietnamese food, Cuty is a must-visit in Calgary!

SEN Vietnamese Kitchen is a casual eatery located in a strip mall, offering a variety of traditional Vietnamese dishes for both dine-in and takeout. Customers have praised the freshness and quick service of their orders, as well as the friendly staff who provide attentive service. The menu features items such as shrimp salad rolls, spring rolls, chicken stir fry with crispy noodles, special beef noodle soup, spicy peanut butter satay with options for grilled chicken or beef.
The staff are super friendly and helpful. Taking my mother out for lunch it’s often difficult to find a place that is gluten-free. Almost the entire menu has the option of being made gluten-free. It was great to be able to order pretty much anything and have it made gluten-free for my mom. Highly recommended.

Solid average Vietnamese fare here if you need a quick fix and in the area! The menu is varied, in particular the sate noodle soup options, as they offer sate clear broth and peanutty sate with beef, chicken or seafood as protein options. The spring rolls were average (not outstanding but sufficiently delicious to hit the spot if you’re craving spring rolls)!
Holly W — Google review
I come here every two weeks because it's by far the best vietnamese place in town, and I've shopped around. Try their spicy peanut sate beef noodle soup(#39)! You won't be disappointed. Service is always super friendly and very prompt! Atmosphere is super friendly, never loud. Very accommodating with gluten free options as well. You'll see me here with a new friend every other weekend. =]

Our first time on a Sunday afternoon and we were craving for pho. We got our food and it was just okay, nothing stood up. Some of the meat on my wife’s satay grilled beef was hard to chew and the fried rice is somewhat dry, and the sprout looks a bit wilted. Services was a bit slow as well having not much people that time, we got our water refills when we’re done, I guess their busy on the take outs. I’ve been to quite a few Vietnamese restaurants here at Calgary but this place would not be something that will come up as an option. I know this place can get better. 😊
Sandy C — Google review
Haven't even left the restaurant yet and felt compelled to leave a glowing review! We tried a few different soups, chicken satay, chicken curry and my 10 year old had the chicken noodle. A+ all the way around! Great portion size, wonderful service and amazing flavors. My daughter even tried the spring rolls and Loved them! We will most definitely be back again soon.

Amazing! Me and my girlfriend have been here several times and everyone working is always very kind and welcoming. They have really good vegetarian options including a substitute for the fish sauce. They accommodate for my peanut allergy, and since the second or third time we’ve eaten here they’ve remembered us and our dietary restrictions. The food is always cooked fast and well, and it is always DELICIOUS. Large portions for a really good price. It’s so welcoming and pleasant in the restaurant, it feels so homey! We can’t stress enough how much we love this place!
Josh G — Google review
What a lovely vietnamese restaurant, portions of food are truly perfect, pricing is super reasonable and the servers are very friendly! Both the subs and pho are phenomenal. And the vegetarian options are great, they also have a peanut satay for the veggie pho which is a rare find, I know the beef usually have peanuts satay but most vegetarian phos are basic compared to theirs!!

Very friendly and very quick service. The atmosphere is warm and even during lunch rush, our food was ready very quickly. Had a spicy beef vermicelli bowl and it was fantastic. Some of the best Vietnamese food I've had in a long time, I can't say anything bad about this place, I love it here.

Dong Khanh Restaurant, situated in a strip mall in Northeast Calgary, offers a diverse selection of Vietnamese dishes. One of its standout offerings is the Dong Khanh Special Dried Noodles with Soup on the Side, perfect for pork enthusiasts. Patrons appreciate the fresh and flavorful food at reasonable prices, served by the owner himself. Despite being a hidden gem, this restaurant boasts an extensive menu featuring various Vietnamese delicacies at relatively lower prices compared to other establishments.
I recently dined at Dong Khanh Vietnamese and ordered #52, the beef sauté soup with rice. The flavor was absolutely amazing – rich, savory, and perfectly balanced. The portions are generous, especially considering the affordable price point. I visited close to closing time, and I loved how quiet and peaceful the atmosphere was, with plenty of seating available. It’s a great spot to enjoy a meal in a calm environment. The owner is genuinely friendly and approachable, which added a personal touch to the experience. I also appreciated the complimentary green tea – a thoughtful and welcoming gesture. I’ll definitely be visiting again. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for great Vietnamese food!

It's very rare to find the #7. Vietnamese Sour Pork Rolls in any Vietnamese restaurant, it's a must try if you want a tasty authentic Vietnamese appetizer. If you're into organ meat textures and flavors, this is the dish #10 Dong Khanh House Special noodle soup, very good and super authentic...
Ray E — Google review
I ordered two popular dishes recommended online. The flat rice noodles portion was a bit small, and the pork liver had a bit of a gamey taste, but overall the flavor was quite good. The fried egg cake was a bit salty for my personal taste. The prices were very reasonable.

The food was delicious and very affordable! The service was pretty slow and the waitress seems like did not understand what we ordered! But overall, this is the place we must try for “hu tieu cat”

This is one of the most authentic Vietnamese food you can get in town. It is important because there is literally over 100 Vietnamese restaurant in Calgary. Don’t look for the best services or atmosphere, but try the food. You will not regret it.

The size of the dish was smaller than I expected. #2 seafoods rolls were kind of skinnier than other restaurants. Ordered #82, he said they don’t have the egg pie, only fired egg, I thought I would get 2 eggs for replacement, but came just one small egg and small piece of pork chop. Lots of rice for sure. But tastes was really just ok. I don’t think I would come back
P H — Google review
Food was ok, service was good and received the food within 10 min of sitting down. I will say it absolutely smells horrendous inside, like rotting food or death. We asked for waters, and all the cups were dirty and not cleaned. I wanted to walk out with my kids but we already ordered and I could hear them making the food in the back and I didn’t want to be a horrible person to order and then just leave. But we will not be back.

Dong Khanh Restaurant in Calgary is a hidden gem that offers an authentic taste of Southeast Asian street food, making it a must-visit for adventurous food lovers. The menu features dishes that are not only delicious but also rare to find in most Vietnamese restaurants, showcasing the true essence of traditional cuisine. One standout dish I tried was the Bánh Bột Chiên, a Vietnamese street food delicacy that is not commonly served in restaurants due to its complexity and the challenge of sourcing authentic ingredients. Dong Khanh nails it. The crispy, golden rice cakes paired with eggs and a tangy dipping sauce were bursting with flavor and texture. This dish is a nostalgic reminder of the vibrant street food culture in Southeast Asia. Another highlight was the Hủ Tiếu with pork innards and egg noodles, which was simply heavenly. The broth was rich and flavorful, the noodles perfectly cooked, and the generous portions of pork innards were tender and well-prepared. For those unaccustomed to eating innards, this dish might seem exotic, but it’s a staple comfort food for many Asians. Dong Khanh excels in presenting these flavors authentically, making even unfamiliar ingredients approachable and delicious. The restaurant’s menu features many unique items that might be unfamiliar to those who haven’t visited Southeast Asia or tried traditional street food before. However, this diversity is what makes Dong Khanh special—it’s a place where you can explore new tastes and textures. The service was friendly and efficient, with staff who clearly take pride in their work. The ambiance is simple yet welcoming, especially during quieter hours when you can enjoy your meal with minimal distractions. Dong Khanh is not just a restaurant; it’s an experience that transports you to the bustling streets of Vietnam. Whether you’re craving authentic street food like Bánh Bột Chiên or hearty noodle soups like Hủ Tiếu, this place delivers on all fronts. Writing this review already has me craving another visit! Highly recommended for anyone seeking an authentic Vietnamese culinary adventure in Calgary.

Rau Bistro is a small strip mall outpost specializing in Vietnamese street food, such as pho noodles and spring rolls. They renovated their concept and interior recently, and the service was great. I enjoyed the salt and pepper cuttlefish fish and the bun mam. Overall a good experience!
Very authentic Vietnamese restaurant with a nice selection of dishes. We ordered the 7 course beef meal that feeds 2 people for $68.00. It was delicious and I really loved the flavors of each dish. The honeycomb cake has a nice chewy texture and is not too sweet. I would definitely recommend this restaurant, I wish they had a location in Edmonton. Hope to visit Rau Bistro on my next visit to Calgary.

I had such a lovely experience at this Vietnamese restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious – full of flavor, fresh, and perfectly cooked. You can really tell they use quality ingredients. The restaurant itself is very clean and well-kept, which made the whole dining experience even better. The service was also great – the staff were friendly, polite, and made sure everything was just right. Definitely a place I’d come back to. Highly recommend if you’re craving tasty Vietnamese food in a nice, clean, and welcoming spot! 🍜✨

Wow. We just discovered this place and now we want to come back about 3 times a week. The food was seriously exceptional - everything so fresh, beautifully presented and flavorful. The spring rolls have the kind of extra crispy crinkly wrapper that is so hard to find - I haven't had spring rolls like that since I moved to Calgary from Vancouver. The sate beef was wonderful, incredibly tender and served with fresh herbs, noodles and delicious sauce. The honeycomb cake is an absolute must try. 10/10. The ambiance was also very pleasant - a really nice place to sit with flowers on the table and nice decor. Not what you expect from the outside where it just looks like any strip mall pho place.

We loved the food. Unfortunately we Had the inside corner spot. The AC was on Blowing at our table the entire time we were there. We asked the staff to turn it down…. But she refused to turn it off as it would affect entire restaurant. I watched - Many people who dined in were putting on an extra layer. In the future , I will come to eat there when the weather outside does not require AC.

This restaurant offers different options for appertizer: papaya salad, beef carpaccio, marinated beef,... They're all delicious. We love the most is beef congee. The service is the best. Price is reasonable for a kinda fine dining restaurant. However, their rice platter is just average. We did enjoy everything here. Highly recommend!

Food here is excellent and tastes authentic, with standout pho, other noodle soups and vermicelli bowls Bun Thit Nuong, etc.). We also tried the Beef 7 Courses, which was a fun experience and very tasty. Good service, pleasant atmosphere, overall a great Vietnamese spot.

The vibe of this place is super cute, and the service was quick and friendly. I ordered Soup 1 Pho dac biet and Soup 7 Bun bo hue (The picture with a red circle of spice is the BBH). I was really excited to try it out since it had a 4.7 rating, but the Bun Bo Hue did not really hit the mark for me. It did not taste as authentic as others I have had. The broth was a bit bland, even though it had the usual Bun Bo Hue smell. It kind of tasted more like pho broth with some fermented paste added in. The pork slices looked more like BBQ pork with that red pink edge, which surprised me since I was expecting the usual white pork belly. The beef slices were really overcooked and tough, but the ham and pork blood were so delicious! I think this dish would make more sense if it was advertised as a version of Bun Bo Hue rather than the traditional kind. It was not bad tasting, just not what I expected. I did not love it, but I am sure other people might. The pho broth was really tasty, but the noodles were a bit overcooked and some of the beef shank tasted as it had gone bad, so I just picked those out. The beef slices were also pretty overdone. I probably would not get the noodle soups again, but I do want to try the rice dishes next time as they look amazing when I saw other people get it. I did get the mascarpone Vietnamese iced coffee and it was amazing. Perfect flavor and a great portion for eight dollars!! I would definitely come back just for that drink.

Despite its humble appearance, the taste is amazing and provides a traditional dining experience. Customers praise their bun bo hue as one of the best they've had in a restaurant, with generous portions of meats and tasty broth. The restaurant also provides fast service and has made renovations for better spacing to ensure safety during the pandemic.
I can say it's the most delicious pho I ever had in Calgary. The soup is really deep flavour and price is reasonable. Love this place

Been a customer for over 20 years. Used to be my favourite in terms of quality, quantity and taste, and while it’s still very good, it’s not as good as it used to be. Pho is solid and dependable, service is minimal but prompt, booths are comfy and usually clean. Overall good value and I’ll continue to be a repeat customer.

Came here on a Tuesday afternoon at 12:20PM and there was plenty of seating available. I was highly recommended by 2 separate friends that this is THE spot in town for pho. I ordered #1 Pho Xuan Special and it was one of the best bowls of pho that I've had and very affordable ($12-$15.50). The broth tasted very clean and homey, being not too salty or full of MSG. I got the small size it was a great portion with plenty of noodles. We also ordered the spring rolls which were perfect in size and flavour. I also ordered the fresh durian milkshake which was delicious. Highly recommend for a great vowl of pho when in Calgary and would come back to try other items.

Always coming back to this place for pho whenever I’m in the north east. The food is good, and very affordable. Pho broth is good and not too heavy. Ingredients are always fresh and service is fast. Recently added bun rieu and bun Bo hue to their menu, so you have a couple more options. You will leave the place feeling full and satisfied.

What a great experience. Have been looking for a new Pho restaurant as the one I use to frequent has gone downhill. I asked one of the gentleman I work with where he goes for good Vietnamese food and he told me about Pho Xuan. It’s really tucked in so you have to look for it..I drove past it the first time through the parking lot. Well I have a new place for Pho and couldn’t be more pleased with the service, flavour and price. I was especially pleased to see you could purchase extra bean sprouts and basil because I like extra in mine. I had the Rare done beef noodle soup and the spring rolls….Yum. Thank you and I will be returning to try other things on your menu. Well done ..Thank You👏🏻

Came in for lunch and ordered the Bun Bo Hue. The broth was very flavourful and came with a side of shrimp paste which is meant to be added - very authentic! The other ingredients (beef shank, pork sausage, blood pudding, and pork hock) were also high quality and tasty. I intend to come back to try other dishes, but the Bun Bo Hue is the best I’ve had in Calgary. Staff are friendly. Overall a good experience. Update: tried the Pho Dac Biet and Beef Stew (new item). Both were tasty but the stew was more special, would recommend.

CHEAP DELICIOUS! Been coming here for many years and every time their BROTH is consistently good and fresh, the bean sprouts and mint as well. Pho Daddy is a laid-back Vietnamese eatery in Calgary known for its classic dishes like banh mi, spring rolls, and soups. The restaurant prides itself on being recognized as the best pho spot in the city, offering a customizable pho menu that allows patrons to tailor their perfect bowl of noodles. With a welcoming ambiance and freshly made halal meats and broths, Pho Daddy provides a diverse range of flavors to satisfy any craving.
If you are visiting or living here and looking for halal pho place, this should be THE place. We ordered different variety of regular pho, comes with noodle, meat, veg and soup. Regular size is good for one person. Awesome taste we enjoyed every spoon of it. Additionally we get option to taste the soup sample before you choose yours. Unbeatable taste for sure!!!! And nice folks who are running the store

Pho Daddy is a cute little spot that really focuses on quality over quantity. The menu is limited, but that’s part of the charm—they clearly put a lot of care into every dish they serve. You can taste the freshness and attention to detail in each bite. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, making it a great place to relax and enjoy a good meal. The staff are wonderful—friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, which adds to the overall great experience. If you're looking for a no-frills, delicious pho spot that values flavor and service, Pho Daddy is definitely worth a visit.

Checked this place out for "feast on fourth". They are offering their regular size pho for $10! it is set up street style so very fast and efficient without comprising on the taste. They let you try the broths before picking what you want. the service is also very friendly. My favorite was the coconut broth.

Honestly if you’re downtown and hungry. This is the place. Actually I would make the drive here just for when I’m craving pho. It was our first time trying this place. We were attracted by the open air windy staircase walk up. I would have gate-kept this place if I had not experienced such great service that needed to be recognized. Big thanks to Julia & Jo-Ann for their kindness & friendly service. It’s few & far these days. The coconut broth is to die for. AND very rare that it’s so delicious late night. Most places lose quality towards the end of the night as they’re not making anything fresh or broth has been sitting out for a few hours at that point. We went an hour before close & not only was the service from Jo-Ann & Julia was phenomenal but it was clean inside, the food hot & fresh. My partner use to work at a pho place so it’s safe to say we are qualified to make this call: Pho Daddy might be one of the best pho places in Calgary. Menu is pure & simple. 4 broths - which Julia let us sample each one! And 2 types of spring rolls. What more do you need? DID I MENTION THE LARGE IS $19? dude the bowl is huge. Worth every penny. They don’t skimp on meat. That is everything you need to know.

One of the few Halal Pho restaurants. My only feedback is they did not have chicken broth, it was mixed with beef. However everything else was good and taste was amazing.

Ordered via DoorDash so I can’t rate the atmosphere, but I had to stop mid soup to rate this the BEST pho I’ve had in the city. I was hesitant about having coconut milk in the broth, and it’s absolutely blowing my mind. I am a huge broth critic and this by far is the best broth I’ve had in the city. I ordered the large Coconut Satay. I added the peanut sauce as well, and I asked for it extra spicy and they DELIVERED. Will absolutely be a repeat customer. Thank you so much!

First time at this well known pho resto. I'd describe this more like a pho bar. It's cool that they have four kinds of broth that they offer to sample prior to ordering. Salt level is super high though. They will add the toppings and condiments for you. The regular sized bowl is respectable.

Good quality authentic Vietnamese restaurant in Signal Hill area. Pretty straightforward menu either get Pho or Vermicelli bowl which is there specialty with lot of options so order depending on your hunger level and type of meat you like in your soup or noddles. Pretty descent place with nice ambiance and clean. Food comes fast within 10 to 15 minutes. Food quality is amazing. I love vermicelli, perfectly cooked fresh, great quality and taste. The quantity of food matches perfect with the price and an average you are looking in between $20 to $30. I felt meat quantity slight less but seeing the price of $16.5, not too bad. One thing I noticed that our server did not come back to ask if we need any thing else, I don’t see it much caring type but service was fast and if we need something we have to just call waitress. I am just used to being asked after every few minutes, “do you need anything”? Overall nice, clean place to eat with family and great food. 😊

One of the best bowls of Pho you’ll find in YYC! Excellent, smiley service from all of the staff, terrific prices, generous portions, and fast delivery once your order is placed. tried this place for the 1st time and wasn’t disappointed. Place is clean , great atmosphere , great customer service , great food … only negative is the tables are a bit small especially if you order quite a bit of food. Will still give it 5 stars

Nestled in the vibrant Kensington District, Pho HouZ Vietnamese Kitchen is a delightful new addition to the local dining scene. This contemporary restaurant boasts a chic ambiance that perfectly complements its mouthwatering menu. Guests rave about their experience, often finding themselves indulging in an array of appetizers alongside their main dishes. The wings are particularly popular, with many diners expressing a desire to return just for those crispy delights.
The best Vietnamese food. Love dropping by their restaurant but also ordering. Always consistent, great flavors and perfect portions. Highly recommend the 22BP grilled peanut meat & spring rolls with vermicelli!

An absolutely amazing experience... we tried the power veggie pho and the spring rolls and dumplings as starters. Our hostess for the evening, Ariana, was so helpful in helping me choose the best of their extensive vegan menu. The service was excellent and super quick. Will definitely be coming back again! Amazing place for vegans and vegetarians (power veggie pho is a must try if you like thukpa!)

We visited this place for the first time this week, looking for vegan options, and it was a great experience. The service was excellent, and they offer a vegetarian menu. The portions were generous—we couldn’t finish our meals and ended up taking some to go. They even treated us to complimentary green tea! Highly recommended!

One of my favourite restaurants. Always great food, good service, and very friendly atmosphere. Usually lots of seating available for groups, open late. Highly recommended.
Jerad J — Google review
we went to this place when it was raining outside a lot, and we felt so hungry, and this place was the first restaurant that we saw on google maps. the food was overall good, but to be honest, for me, the noodle was a little too bland, and could’ve used more salt. the rice that my bf got me was actually surprisingly good, even though i got mad at him for getting fried rice and a pho restaurant…. the server accidentally spilled the hot noodle soup on my bf a little, but she cleaned it afterwards. the atmosphere is so clean, and quiet, and beautiful. there’s no parking space that we are aware of, so we just parked beside the safeway fence, and paid $2 for the parking. overall it was 4/5 because the food could’ve been great, but maybe this is because i’ve been to other pho restaurant and the first places i’ve been to has left the great impact on me, and nothing could match that place again. 🤍

Ordered delivery via DD (again!). Pho HouZ never disappoints!! I got the Stir-Fried Meat & Veggies (ordered it with tofu instead of meat). It came with fresh, tasty veggies, well seasoned & cooked tofu and noodles. The steamed veggie dumplings were nicely seasoned and so crave-able!! I honestly can’t say enough good things about these guys! Also, those crispy noodles are totally addictive! I’d order extra if it were an option…. I’d happily eat them all by themselves! Thanks for packing the noodles separately so they don’t get soggy :) And I know it’s a small thing, but very few places bother; the handwritten “Thank You” on the bag always makes me smile

Excellent food and service! I ordered via uber eats and the girls forgot to give the driver my bubble tea. They called me to take accountability and they went above and beyond to make sure they get my bubble tea delivered even if I told them it's all good and they didn't have to but they insisted. They literally went above and beyond and for that we will always order from this location now thanks so much for all your hard work and I hope you both get the recognition you deserve!

Pho City offers a wide range of dishes, including their signature sate pho. However, they go beyond the traditional bowl of broth and noodles by offering inventive options like the pho grilled cheese. This unique item consists of mini grilled cheese sandwiches filled with beef and served with a side of pho broth for dipping. Pho City is known for its nicely portioned and affordable meals, using real chicken instead of low-quality substitutes.
I ordered the brisket and tendon noodle soup at Pho City, and it was fantastic. The broth came rich and clear, the brisket tender, and the tendon perfectly soft. Everything tasted fresh and balanced. Warm, comforting, and deeply satisfying. I’ll definitely come back for another bowl.

Tried Pho City in Chinatown today and it was amazing. The broth was rich and flavorful, and the noodles had the perfect texture. I got the spicy beef noodle soup and it hit just right not too spicy but full of depth. The spring rolls were crispy and fresh too. The place was clean, cozy, and the staff were friendly. Definitely one of the best spots in the area for authentic Vietnamese food. Highly recommend!
Mehm J — Google review
I’m not usually a big fan of pho, BUT I had the best experience here! The spicy coconut peanut brisket soup was unbelievably delicious, and the regular beef noodle soup and Satay Beef Vietnamese sub were also amazing. Everything was perfect!! Totally recommend this place!

Excellent Pho lunch. The large is LARGE, even my husband couldn’t finish which is awesome. Meat cooked to perfection, wide range of options and the broth is phenomenal. We will definitely be back.

Fantastic experience as soon as we walked in the door the waiter brought 2 glasses of water to the table before we even sat down, we had beef soup 🍲 and spicy bahn mi both were full of flavor and fantastic, Pretty decent price, really chill atmosphere, food was quick. If you are in the area I would highly recommend.

Five stars! We stopped in for some traditional pho and left very happy. The broth was incredibly flavorful and authentic—exactly what we were hoping for. The restaurant itself has been nicely renovated since we were last there, making for a great atmosphere. Without a doubt, one of the best pho spots in the city. Highly recommend!
Moraima C — Google review
The place was pretty busy but for a reason. The bbq beef noodle bowl was very good. The picture was taken after I already started eating it because I had to pause and write this review. The vermicelli with grilled pork was flavourful as well. The spring rolls were some of the best I had.
Roman — Google review
Beware of Freebie-for-Reviews– 2★ The restaurant has a nice ambience with a fresh, modern look and an upgraded washroom. Music selection was genuinely good, and the sound system added a pleasant touch to the atmosphere. Unfortunately, service and food quality didn’t match the setting. The female staff spent long periods on her phone even during a busy Friday evening, and payment was taken upfront without confirming if we were dining in or taking out — resulting in our meal being served in to-go containers despite us clearly eating in. The apology for the mix-up felt rather cold. The moong bean sprouts were disappointing — slimy, brownish , and unappetizing — most had to be discarded. A sticky table surface ruined my sweater, which sealed a poor dining experience. While the place has potential, the practice of offering a free pop for a 5-star review feels shady and reminiscent of nearby spots that didn’t last. Pho City could truly shine with better service attention and integrity in feedback practices.

Restaurant
Paper Lantern is a hidden gem located in the basement of Calgary's Chinatown, offering a tropical Vietnamese dining experience. The menu features delectable dishes like pineapple stir-fry with pork belly mango salad and Vietnamese subs. Additionally, the cocktail bar is known for its unique drinks such as Saigon Sling and Banana Old Fashioned.
It was a Friday evening, we visited this bar with a reservation for 5 PM. While it wasn’t crowded when we arrived, the staff later informed us that there were bookings coming up, so I’d definitely recommend making a reservation in advance. The bar is located in a basement, creating a dimly lit, cozy atmosphere perfect for unwinding. The drinks, although served in smaller portions, were flavorful and satisfyingly strong. As someone who loves sour flavors, I particularly enjoyed the Plum God—its tartness was just right for my taste. On the food side, the Beef Carpaccio stood out for me. The tangy-sweet sauce paired beautifully with the tender, juicy slices of raw beef, making it a refreshing and delightful dish. The service was also worth noting. The staff were friendly and attentive, offering helpful suggestions on food and drink pairings. Overall, this bar is an excellent spot for a relaxed evening, whether you’re there for the drinks, the food, or the inviting ambiance. Highly recommend :)
Cami L — Google review
I think this place is really hit and miss depending on the audience and your expectations. For me, it was a hit. I enjoyed the retro Asian restaurant vibes and the “hidden” element of being a speakeasy style restaurant/bar. The place apparently does get busy, but we went early on a Friday and there were maybe 3 tables there. I would still recommend a reservation just to make sure and that way you don’t have to think about whether or not you’ll get in. Their drinks were well crafted and had unique spins to them. I appreciate the attempt to try something different as that’s what makes cocktails fun. The food was okay, good for snacks, but not really a dinner spot I would say. Only real complaint I have is that things can take a while, including both food and drink. Come and stay for the retro feel and the unique drinks.

Speakeasy bar in chinatown. Not difficult to find though. Friendly staff Atmosphere is very casual and simple interior. The bar counter seating is nice. Decent cocktail selection. The Plum God cocktail is an interesting twist to a Manhattan. Presentation is very basic

I did not know this place existed in Chinatown! Paper Lantern is an Asian inspired speakeasy with many Asian inspired drinks. I tried the dragon palm and the serving for 4 people came in hoisin sauce can which I thought was a genius idea. For next time, I'd try the one inch punch just because of the name. The pandan actually tasted like pandan and there were so many more cocktails I couldn't decide between. The atmosphere was great with the dimmed red lighting and it wasn't too loud so you could chat with friends easily.

A little while ago, I came here with a group of 5 friends around 7pm when the restaurant was only hosting only 1 table at the time we walked in. A little later, 2 more friends wanted to join us. I know the policy is no groups larger than 6, so I asked our server if they could come. I even said that if not, we’re understand. She went to check with the manager and came back saying yes, it was fine since there were no reservations for the night. Before my friends even arrived, the restaurant started to fill up. Still, I figured it was okay because we were ordering plenty of food and drinks, not just sitting there. As soon as my friends sat down, the servers handed them menus but gave them barely 2 minutes to decide. They quickly ordered drinks, then placed their food order a little later. Right after the food order was taken, the server came back and told us we only had 15 minutes left at the table. That’s when we learned about the 2-hour time limit. I understand if that’s their policy, but if they weren’t going to restart the clock when new guests joined, they should have told us upfront. Instead, my two friends barely had 30 minutes to sit, eat, and drink. Then the bill came with an automatic 18% gratuity for parties of 6+. I normally don’t mind gratuity, but in this case it felt unfair. The service was rushed, inconsistent, and my friends hardly got to enjoy the experience. Honestly, it felt like they said yes to adding more people because the restaurant looked slow, but once it got busy, they rushed us out without hesitation, like they didn’t care about our business. I left feeling like we got scammed — not because of the gratuity, but because of the lack of transparency and how rushed the whole thing was.

Had the best time spending time with my girl friends and our server Kobe was AMAZING!! He overheard us in our conversation and he immediately tuned in and it was so much fun conversing with him like it was natural. Atmosphere was amazing as usual and the food as well no complaints! The other servers as well who helped serve our foods and complied with our requests were so friendly and kind! Definitely my favourite place with friends
Aranne V — Google review
This place is such an awesome experience. Upon first glance, the exterior looks questionable. Hidden in a decrepit looking basement entrance. When you make your way inside, you are greeted by a very cool, cultural atmosphere. Not too much light comes from the paper lantern lighting, but helps to set the mood and vibe of this place. The drinks.......oh my god, the drinks! Absolutely delicious, 10/10. Tried a few and they are all amazing. Different and unique with the flavor combinations, but so so tasty. We had the chicken banh mi and beef skewers. The skewers were quite small but very tasty. I def recommend this place! Don't let the front door scare you away.

Night Owl Vietnamese Cuisine in Calgary, Canada has been highly recommended by visitors for its authentic and phenomenal Vietnamese food. The restaurant is known for its welcoming and accommodating staff, as well as its diverse selection of dishes that have left customers beyond satisfied. The warm and friendly service, along with the delicious food options, make it a great choice for a late-night bite or dinner.
This place is great. Prices are definitely reasonable as well as the portion sizes. I think it’s the only Vietnamese restaurant that is open past 9 pm. Open til 2 am or 3 am (Fri & Sat). We got there at 830 pm Saturday and just in time before it started to get busier. It is a small cafe style restaurant so it’s difficult to accommodate a group size great than 4.

Great food, excellent service! We came in as a big group of 23 and they were able to accommodate us no problem. Food was fresh and delicious. This is our new go to spot for Pho. Owner was very kind and staff were friendly.

Great place for some amazing food, quality service and open till 2am great combo with a limited menu in comparison to other restaurants of the same vein it's quality over quantity $15ish per soup or vermicelli bowl on average. I put my cup down on its edge and it seemed to explode as sometimes happens, they were super friendly and very prompt to clean it up and ensure I wasn't injured. Me and my S/O got the sate beef noodle soup and the brisket specialty soup and after both trying and swapping they were delicious with an incredible broth and the brisket specialty soup had incredible melt in your mouth Carrots so I attached some photos with the price availability all three ordering companies like skip, door dash, and uber eats are available and something I always like to ask server staff is do they keep their tips? with some managers now a days pocketing the hard earned service tip they assured me they do and that their owner is very considerate kind and even understands the unfortunate charge some delivery apps add as a charge. Also got told door dash may be the best deal or Atleast is their most popular ordering system. Will be back as it's near my bus connection from work and made for a really nice date great food and fed two with soups and a shared appitzer for just about $45

5’s across the board Food, Service, Atmosphere. Median price is $15 and I have to say the portion sizes are WELL worth the price tag. It’s not often I’m not able to finish a vermicelli bowl. And I’m usually paying in the ballpark of $45-60 for a vermicelli bowl. The staff are lovely, and very attentive, the moment I was ready to order there was someone there to take it. Food took less than 15 minutes to show up HOT, plus as an added detail they sliced the spring roll my food came with. Which is a small detail but it puts into perspective the care they put into every dish. Come check this gem out!!

Pho Han Vietnamese noodle house is a charming spot in Calgary that offers quick service, tasty food, and reasonable prices. The restaurant maintains the charm of its previous existence as an Italian spot with frescos and interesting wall art. Customers praise the fresh and crispy spring rolls, flavorful soup, and delicious broth. While some feel that the bun ratio could be improved and the nuoc cham sauce is a bit too sweet, overall, it's considered one of the best Vietnamese restaurants in Calgary.
Excellent Vietnamese soup bowls. Noodles are always cooked to perfection, and soup is always hot. The portions are good sizes with three choices. Abundance of beef as shown in the pictures. When ordering four or more bowls, they give a complimentary spring roll per bowl ordered. Bonus..

TRE Vietnamese Kitchen is a popular spot located in Calgary, offering a diverse menu that includes appetizers, pho, noodles, vermicelli, rice dishes, and vegetarian options. The restaurant is known for its fresh and flavorful food with friendly and welcoming staff. Owned by the same family as other well-known restaurants like SEN and Van Son, TRE stands out for its 100% gluten-free offerings. Customers rave about the generous portion sizes and the warm service they received during their visit.
As someone with Celiac disease and a severe peanut allergy, I’m always cautious when dining out, especially at Vietnamese restaurants. This spot stood out because they operate as a 100% dedicated gluten-free facility, which immediately gave me peace of mind. Their website outlines their allergy protocols clearly, and I appreciated being able to add notes about additional allergies through the delivery app (UberEats), a feature many restaurants disable. It was a rare opportunity to enjoy dishes like a vermicelli bowl and spring rolls without concern. I shared the below dishes with my gluten-eating spouse and he enjoyed it as well: B34. House Special XL Bowl (Meat Lovers) A14. Popcorn Chicken P42. Beef & Brisket Noodle Soup The portions were generous, and typical sides like bean sprouts, lime, and basil were included at no extra cost. I’d order from here again next time I’m in Calgary.

Our waiter recommended the best dishes and the food came out pretty quickly! For dessert the flan with boba which was a yummy sweet treat! the staff were so kind.

We understand why this restaurant was recommended to us on our arrival in Calgary. Close to our hotel but still worth a trek to get to. long time admirer, first time eater, and I had a great time! the meat isn’t halal, but I have a celiac diagnosis and wanted to eat something gluten free for dinner. I had number 66 from the menu, the stir fried curry vegetables with rice noodles, and I really liked it! for dessert, I also had the sticky rice pudding, and it was unfamiliar but yummy to me! I’ve never had black eyed peas in dessert, and it made me wish that every menu item had an ingredient list included. I look forward to coming here again sometime :) Dan was especially friendly and helpful, which I appreciated. Thanks, TRE!

We visited Tre Vietnamese Kitchen just before sundown, and the atmosphere was absolutely beautiful. The soft lighting paired perfectly with the sunset, creating a warm and relaxing vibe. One of the best parts — their entire menu is 100% gluten-free, which makes this an incredible spot for anyone who is celiac or gluten-sensitive. It’s also easy to find, located just off 14th Avenue near 16th, with clear signage advertising their gluten-free focus. The service was outstanding — our server was friendly, polite, and made us feel very welcome. The menu is simple and easy to follow, and everything is very reasonably priced, so you’ll definitely leave full without breaking the bank. We also tried a dessert: a tapioca and coffee-flavored flan, which was absolutely delicious. The dessert menu itself is well thought out and complements the meal perfectly. Overall, the food, service, and atmosphere were all excellent. We’ll definitely be coming back — Tre Vietnamese Kitchen is a must-visit for anyone looking for great gluten-free dining in Calgary.

The food is okay but the service isn’t good. I was alone when I came here and the waitress did not check in to me even once about the food, and also did not fill up my water during my meal. So disappointing, but the food is decent for the price, absolutely will not recommend this place.

Decided to try this place for the first time today. I ordered the beef vermicelli bowl with spring rolls for lunch and picked up. The service was friendly and fast, and the staff seemed cheerful. The noodles were overcooked and very sticky, the sauce helped a bit. The veggies are fresh and taste nice. I’m disappointed with the beef though, I ended up spitting out about half of it because of the gristle. Every bite I had with beef in it had a very unpleasant sinewy feel. Please check your ingredients better and don’t serve garbage to your customers. I probably won’t be back.

Goto pho restaurant when Im in country hills for work. Pho is always fresh and cooked nicely. Broth is rich and flavourful and ingredients are immaculate condition. Picture does no justice. Additionally, they offer late-night hours to cater to those with cravings beyond regular dining times.
Love this Vietnamese restaurant!! They have the BEST spring rolls EVER. So crispy and perfectly delicious! Also the portions of their vermicelli bowls are MASSIVE. Definitely ask for extra fish sauce (no extra charge) so it doesn’t get too dry! The pho is solid here, wish they used different type of noodles! I really like how they open late night til 2AM. Both times we’ve been here the service has been wonderful and they always checked up on us :) recommend this spot!

This my second take out trip and I've been in to dine 3-4 times. I love this place and the people! First of all it's super clean. Everyone is really, really nice. One of the managers helped me out by letting me put postcards for an event there last year, doesn't even remember - because it's all just second nature to be helpful for them. The food is great, and very well priced. AND there is parking available that's included with a minimum spend. It doesn't get better than this people!

10/10 STARS! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 This is the BEST Vietnamese restaurant located inner city Calgary. You get huge portions for the price point, and everything is full of flavour and tastes incredibly authentic. WOW that was sooo freakin good. If i lived in town i would be a regular coming here so often that i would have my own reserved table lol. The house special crab soup was so flavorful we loved it! Your salt n pepper wings were fried to the best level of crispiness that just melts after the crunch. Your deep fried springs rolls are some of the best we have ever eaten. You blow away every Pho house i have been to in Vancouver. And i have been to a lot of them. Thank you for the warm friendly service. A meal we will never forget.

Friendly and attentive staff. The ambiance was nice. Lots of beverages options. They gave us iced tap water. The broth was meh, with little flavors at all. I have had many Pho's from different places in my life (and in Vietnam), but this was disappointing. I'm not sure if it was the type of food we ordered, but we didn't enjoy it much. Won't really recommend.

My family and I came here for lunch and it was so good. My son has never had spicy soup one before, and he had it here and loved it. Thank you for making our first time the best we had so much fun.

Pure Street Food, situated in the First Street Market, has recently been recognized on Canada's Best New Takeout list. The menu features a small selection of Vietnamese street food dishes, with a focus on soup, rice, and noodle bowls.
A superb food hall. Everyone can fine something they enjoy. We chose Pure Street Food the Vietnamese noodle place. The pho broths were rich and complex in flavour. The char sui rice bowl delicious. Definitely worth a try if you haven't been here and we look forward to a return visit.

I visited First Street Food Court on a weekday evening. The crowd was moderate, and the environment felt comfortable. After placing my order, I received a buzzer and waited about 20 minutes for the food(there were only two people working in the kitchen. I ordered the Savory Sesame Donut.Although it looked small, it was packed with filling, a pleasant surprise! I chose the Spicy Bo Kho Beef Brisket flavor. The first few bites were filled with refreshing vegetables like cucumber, carrot, and cilantro, which created a nice balance of textures and flavors. As I kept eating, I discovered the generous portion of beef brisket hidden inside. The meat was tender, juicy, and full of flavor😋 As someone who can’t handle too much spice, I found the spiciness to be well within my comfort zone, flavorful without being overwhelming. The dipping sauce on the side also added a unique twist to the dish. Overall, it was a delightful little snack, and I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for something tasty without feeling too heavy.

A true gem for street food lovers!
This place serves up unpretentious, soulful Vietnamese street food that hits all the right notes. The flavors are punchy, the herbs are vibrant. I tried the Chicken Basil Rice Bowl with complimentary pork rib broth soup both were aromatic and deeply satisfying. You can tell everything is made with care and respect for tradition. Prices are fair, portions are generous, and the vibe is relaxed yet lively. Highly recommended if you're chasing authenticity without the frills.

Absolutely incredible! Pure Street Food serves up some of the best pho bowls I’ve ever had — rich, flavourful broth, perfectly cooked noodles, and fresh, vibrant toppings that bring everything together. The savoury sesame donuts were a surprise highlight — crispy, warm, and packed with flavour. You can really taste the care and authenticity in every dish. Fast, friendly service and great atmosphere too. Highly recommend for anyone who loves bold, authentic street food flavours!

When researching where to eat in Calgary, I came across an episode of DDD with this restaurant. I knew I needed to try it! I got two different doughnuts and a chicken rice dish. I wasn’t in the mood for pho at the time. I was a bit frazzled when I ordered - I couldn’t remember what was on the show - and I wanted to get food I couldn’t remember share with my daughter. We both really enjoyed the donuts. They are savoury and meat filled. I thought we would split each but my daughter liked hers so much she didn’t want to try mine. They both had very different flavours which was a pleasant surprise. There was a bit of kick in each, adding a little hint of heat at the end of each bite. The chicken rice dish was very yummy but and huge! Way too large. We couldn’t even make it through half. Keep that in mind if you are ordering here - unless you are a big eater or very hungry - you may want to share a dish or just order one thing and not two - I recommend the donut! The food hall is a fun and funky place. Lots of action and people. I didn’t have any trouble finding a seat to wait for my food and I took my food to go. I noticed there is a playground behind the food hall so it looks like a great place to bring kids. You will have to wait for your food - it is fast food but they still make it to order so it’s not that fast.

Great Pho at the First Street Market. Flavorful and spicy broth with tender meat. The service was nice! However, they gave me the wrong soup :). I also think their prices are too high compared to other Vietnamese restaurants around Calgary with the same (if not better) Pho. Overall it’s defintiley worth checking out! And Guy Fieri loved it, so take his word for it!
Mykaela P — Google review
The wife saw it on a Tik Tok and told me she has to have it, so on we went. Pricey, but authentic and delicious flavours with large portion that did not disappoint, the #3 is perfectly balanced with spice and freshness. The 72 hour soup was amazing and had a deeply rich and unique flavour to it! If you want to shake up your taste buds and want noodles head here!
Brayden S — Google review
Feature on Guy Fieri's with reading reviews, we decided to check it out and really glad that we did! The food was spectacular, and service was great too! The food market also had a number of other great tiny food stands that are worth checking out.

If you're on the hunt for a delightful Vietnamese dining experience in Calgary, look no further than Viet West. Nestled in a cozy strip mall along 4th Street NW, this gem is well worth the drive. With an impressive menu that features unique dishes not found elsewhere, Viet West has something to satisfy every palate. Diners rave about the prompt service and consistently hot meals, all prepared without MSG and with gluten-free options available.
This family owned restaurant is amazing. Food is top notch. Clean environment, fresh veggies & meat, flavours are outstanding! The people serving us are kind to my family when we eat here even if my 3 kids make a huge mess they always are so happy.

Found this gem on accident most amazing pho broth most broths at other places are so bland this was not! Sandwich was so fresh and veggies were crunchy the rice plate tasted so good and such an amazing bbq flavour everything was outstanding will be back!
Leah S — Google review
It's not overwhelmingly thick. I was served a large, but I think portion could be bigger. Some peanuts we're not finely crushed, which is not a bad thing for this soup. Overall taste is pretty good =)

We’ve been coming here for over a decade, and have moved away. If we are in the area, we will still pop by and it’s as delicious as ever. They have some unique items to their menu that other places don’t have. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

Had the sate chicken Bahn Mi , was top tier . Delicious, cooked perfectly and the right amount of spice . 10/10 will be back

First timers at this place : quality of the taste of the food was really good! Almost the best I've had. Two thumbs up, recommended! :)

Gonna keep this simple. Water taste weird, food is okay, not to expensive, bubble tea portion’s a little bit too small for the price, service was good tho. That’s it. Go here but bring your own water.

If you're in Calgary and on the hunt for a delightful dining experience, look no further than Rice and Noodle. This charming eatery offers an extensive menu that caters to both traditional favorites and adventurous new dishes. From aromatic pho to savory vermicelli bowls, subs, appetizers, and fresh salads, there's something for everyone. The setup is reminiscent of other popular noodle spots where you can customize your meal by selecting a base and adding your choice of protein with varying spice levels.
It was nice experience. Felt like I was back in Thailand. The Pad Thai tasted just like the one I had there, and the Laksa soup was rich, flavorful, and totally addictive. Everything was super satisfying. I’d definitely come back!
Leo M — Google review
Stumbled across this newly opened Thai restaurant and it totally hit the spot. The place is spotless, the staff are super friendly, and the food? Absolutely delicious! Everything tasted fresh and flavorful, and the portion sizes were just right—not too much, not too little. Prices were fair too, which made it even better. It’s one of those places that makes you happy while you eat and when you get the bill. Definitely coming back soon!
Sun C — Google review
Stopped by here on my own today and really enjoyed it. The place is bright, spacious, and super comfortable! The staff were friendly and made me feel welcome — turns out he was the manager! I went for the Pad Thai with tofu at spice level 2 — the flavor and seasoning were spot on. I love that you can pick your protein (chicken, beef, prawn, tofu, or veggie) They recommended the Pad Thai and the lasagna soup, so I’ll definitely be back to try something new next time. Highly recommend!☺️

Affordable, Fast, Delicious. Best Pad Thai I've had in Calgary. Definitely gotta check this place out if you're in the mood for Asian food. My friend had the Laksa Soup and absolutely loved it. Highly recommend!

We visited Rice and Noodle for the first time and were pleasantly surprised! The place is bright, clean, and welcoming. You can either dine in or order takeout, which is super convenient. The portions are big, the food is fresh and flavorful — we really enjoyed it. Definitely coming back!

I tried the chicken Pad Thai, and while I ordered it mild, it still had a noticeable kick for me – but it was absolutely delicious nonetheless. The portion, as always, was very generous. Definitely a go-to spot for tasty and filling Asian cuisine

I had a fantastic experience at Rice and Noodle on 17th Ave SW! My order arrived surprisingly fast, hot, and fresh. The saucy chicken bites were a highlight – full of flavor and perfectly crunchy. The Pad See Ew was also delicious, a generous portion, and excellent value for money. Highly recommend!

If you're on the hunt for a cozy spot to enjoy a delightful cup of coffee, look no further than I Love You Coffee Shop Jr. Nestled just a couple of blocks from its sister location, this charming café shares space with an architect firm, creating a unique and vibrant atmosphere. The moment you step inside, you'll be greeted by friendly staff and an inviting ambiance adorned with neon signs and vinyl records that set the perfect backdrop for your coffee experience.
Cappuccino Test. Whenever at a new coffee shop, always order a cappuccino as a personal preference in taste testing the coffee. Cappuccino is usually comprised of espresso, milk and foam wherein sometimes baristas put a little bit of cacao powder to mildly sweeten the flavor. It like a complete 3 in 1 per se. This jr coffee shop is typically good with their cappuccino and is further enhanced with the ambience. Quick Staff at Present. The shop has a single staff who accommodates the architecture firm office integrated within, dine-in customers and the exterior ordering window for take outs. Dined at off-peak hours therefore couldn’t determine if the one-man staff could handle peak hours. The Place. One of the best coffee shops if you’re into design and architecture. An architecture office is integrated with the coffee shop therefore one can glimpse the workshop and witness how an architecture firm operates. Quite unique in a way.

I really wanted to like this place as it’s super cute and I love local, maybe I went on an off day but I was not a fan. I went in the morning, around 8:25 to grab a bagel and a latte- nothing too intense, buttered bagel and latte, it took 40 min and I was late for my meeting. The lady seemed nice but for some reason saw a “usual” customer and got his latte ready in 5 min- like didn’t realize white males got preference unless there’s some online ordering I’m not aware of? Then while I expressed that I am running a bit late and did not expect this to take longer than 20 min at most she kept trying to take another order, maybe finish with one? This place needs either more staff or more training. My bagel was then burnt and she kindly asked if I wanted a new one- I don’t have time, and weirdly when I ate it- it had no flavour and was somehow very undone on the inside. Sad to say the bad service and honestly, not the best bagels was a very bad start to my day and I won’t be going back but hopefully the service and food improves and that was an off day- but my experience was awful and not worth the price.

I went and got a bagel & a coffee there this past Saturday morning. The person working was sooo incredibly friendly. I also got a drip coffee which was delicious and the bagel was WOW so good! I got a breakfast bagel and added tomato. The bagel itself is chewy and a bit sweet which I really liked! Especially with the contrast of the tomato and Gouda. Will definitely be making this a new stop of mine!

Song Viet Restaurant is a popular spot known for its authentic Beef Satay, which stands out from the typical pho found at other Vietnamese restaurants. The thick and creamy soup base sets it apart, making it a go-to choice for many. The restaurant also offers seafood and chicken versions of the sate, all of which are highly praised for their flavorful and spicy peanut sate. Despite any potential shortcomings in service or decor, the food here is considered top-notch by many visitors.
Absolutely the best beef sate Pho in the city, as well as the seafood and chicken versions of the sate. I've had Pho at many, many places within city limits and if you like spicy peanut sate, Song Viet is the pinnacle of flavour. This is some perfect secret soup recipe that will blow your mind, it might be the coconut milk. I can't comment on the rest of the menu here since I only ever order the Sate Pho.
Tim M — Google review
Has had some of the consistently best Vietnamese food I've tasted. The saute beef Pho is one of the most popular dishes for a reason. Many excellent choices on the menu, lots of variety and a nice place to spend a lazy lunch hour downtown if you can avoid the rush.
Christopher B — Google review
Best Beef Sauté Pho and spingrolls around. For all those that complain about service or decor, this is Chinatown, you go for the food! Service has always been friendly enough for me. Judging by the full house most lunch hours, seems like many agree with me. If you want high end service and upscale decor, maybe you should make a different choice.
Lonnie C — Google review
If you want to treat yourself with some bomb ass pho sate, without breaking your bank -you should get it here. They make it with real peanut sauce, and you can actually taste the difference. I love this place so much <3
Susan L — Google review
Pretty yummy across the board. We had the pork spring rolls and a couple of shrimp salad rolls to start. We then followed up with a huge bowl of sate pho - rare beef and beef balls.
Kailey C — Google review
Took a long time for me to be shown a table, considering I was the only one by the door. Waitress kept thinking there were 2 people with me for some reason so she sat me by a bigger table than what she wanted. Table beside me kept asking for more tea but waitress then delivers a tea pot on my table, now I have 2 tea pots. I give the 2 ladies the tea pot for them. My Pho is taking a long time compared to other Vietnamese restaurants. Left after almost all the people finished eating and other people who came after me got their order first. Avoid at all cost!

the man i think the owner is very arrogant. the washroom run out of paper towel and asked for it he got mad. the food is not consistent in taste sometimes good sometimes bad especially the beef satey lack of peanut sauce.
