This is a good hotel to stay at. It has everything you need. My son scraped his foot in the pool and security was quick to come with first aid- which was appreciated. Who knew a foot could bleed so much. The pools coating is really sharp. That’s one negative. But otherwise, it was a good experience. The breakfast in the AM was decent. I wish there had been cereal, regular toast, fresh fruit like apple or bananas. But the kids loved the fresh toast that was on the breakfast buffet.

Everything was clean, and good. If you are over the age of 25, or larger than 140 lbs, don't fool yourself into thinking you'll get a good night sleep on the pull-out couch. You will find your knees higher than your butt. I went with a sports team and got the sports rate discount-booked the mini suite so my roommate and I could have our own space. It cost the same as the other option (I also did this through the hotel website). Got to the hotel-not a mini suite, just a king and the pull out sofa bed in the same room. I called the front desk, said my reservation email specifically lists separate spaces, and that I had a mini suite. Was told no, this is what all the sports rooms are. I didn't push it, but still thought it was weird that the website would offer it if it's not actually something you can get, and that my confirmation email said it would be a mini suite. Breakfast the next morning, a teammate told me she loves her MINI SUITE that she booked, Using the same website and code and price that I did. So yeah, did not appreciate being gas lit like that. Could I have walked down and pushed it? Yeah, probably. Did they send me a bellman with all the pillows I wanted for the sofa bed? Yes, he was absolutely great.

I can’t say enough great things about the service here! From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and valued. Christine was incredibly attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely interested in helping me. She went above and beyond to ensure I had everything I needed, and her attention to detail was second to none. I left feeling like I had received top-notch care. Incredibly beautiful hotel with TOP TIER service thanks to the awesome team of staff! It feels like a REAL hotel with housekeepers coming by to check if we to swap out our towels…she even had bottled water to give us! Front desk crew are phenomenal and we have never received such swift and dare I say *perfect* service before, which says a LOT because I’ve never left a bad review (lol!) for any hotel! Room service is quick and delicious, and there are SO many options for entertainment from the water park to the casino and a TON of food and music entertainment options IN HOUSE to choose from! Serious kudos to the staff here, they make it an EXPERIENCE as opposed to just a “stay.” If I could give 6 stars I would!

I booked this hotel so my 3 kids could enjoy the pool and I could relax, but the experience was a complete disappointment. I paid full price, only to find out the pool wasn’t even usable. When I asked management for a discount or at least a restaurant credit, I was flatly told there was nothing they could do. Absolutely no effort to make things right. The rooms are tiny, the fridge is useless, and there’s no microwave. For what they charge, the amenities are embarrassing. Customer service is unprofessional and dismissive — they clearly don’t care about their guests. This place is not worth the money. Terrible value, terrible service, and I would never recommend this hotel to anyone.

the staff is awful, I know they are doing their jobs, but obviously if you see someone with tattoos you'd expect them to be above the age 18, and the way I was treated after I told them I didn’t have my ID was awful; I did show my birth certificate, and yet that wasn’t enough, all that trouble just to use the gym, and that same employee who asked for my ID also walked behind me until I got to my room. this is absolutely ridiculous and poor service.

This is our favorite place to stay when we're in Calgary! The rooms are clean, we get club lounge access which is a fantastic bonus for the pop and snacks. Staff are always so friendly, and the pool area is nice. Valet staff are amazing too. The location is great, we love going to Joey for dinner because it's right across the street. Can't say enough good things about this hotel, we will continue to bring our business here.

I was in Calgary for a few days for work . And I can confidently say that it’s one of the best hotels I have ever experienced. From the moment I walked in, the staff was welcoming and attentive.The catering was fantastic , specially one staff, sorry I forgot her name and lost her business card( she’s a Filipina) she’s so kind and accommodating, knowing that I don’t eat meat, she prepared food specially for me. What stood out for me during my stay was the exceptional service from the housekeeping Director and team (Anja and Phan). There was a mishap when I ordered my room service , the Tabasco sauce container wasn’t closed properly that when I took it out the bag, it splattered all over my white pants . They tried to dry clean but it’s mostly ruined, and, then they offered a similar pants to replace and sent it to me here in British Columbia where I live. I couldn’t be more grateful. They all went above and beyond.It’s rare to see such commitment to guest satisfaction. It speaks volumes about the hotel’s values and professionalism of the staff members. Overall, I highly recommend Sheraton Suites Calgary Eau Claire not only for their luxurious amenities but also for its outstanding customer service. If you’re looking for a place where the staff truly cares, this is it!

To start with the good, the location in Calgary was amazing and the staff was great to deal with. The bad, the hotel room we had booked was filled so we either had to pay more for a nice room or take a different room layout with no bath. We took the no bath option, just a stand up shower. The room only had seating for over person to eat. The shower flooded the whole bathroom, when I called the front desk they called a maintenance person that had said it was normal dew to poor quality renovations and the building knows about it. I really wish they told me that when I had swapped from a room without a bath. The headboard on the bed was scratched up. There is only included parking is you live in Alberta, otherwise valet costs an additional $50 (not a negative, as I am from Alberta, but not clearly noted beforehand)

A year ago, my husband and I hosted both our engagement party and wedding reception at Sheraton Suites Eau Claire, and to say the experience was amazing would be an understatement. From the very beginning, Anna, the Executive Meeting Manager, worked seamlessly with our wedding planner and family, going above and beyond to accommodate every detail of our vision; from the menu to the venue decorations. Both celebrations were unforgettable, and our stay at the hotel for a few nights was just as wonderful. The rooms, the food, and the service were all exceptional, and our families who stayed over the weekend shared the same glowing feedback. Just last week, we returned to celebrate our one-year anniversary, and once again, the Sheraton team made it a truly memorable experience. We were greeted with thoughtful gifts in our room, enjoyed an incredible dinner at Flower & Wolf (the bison short rib and seafood tagliatelle were unreal!), and ended the weekend with a lovely breakfast. Everyone we encountered was so warm and attentive, but a few standouts deserve special mention: Allan at the reception desk, Victor at Valet, and of course, Anna for helping us plan our anniversary stay. Thank you again for making our stay and celebrations so amazing! Sheraton Suites Eau Claire will always hold a special place in our hearts, and we look forward to returning for many years to come.

This hotel is beautiful, the location couldn't get any better for enjoying some of the fun Calgary has to offer. The promenade by the river is so incredible, what a beautiful spot. Lots of restaurants around, short walk over from Stephens Avenue, which is so much fun any day of the week. The amenities in the hotel are wonderful as well, fantastic gym, nice pool and hot tub, all the staff are very nice. Valet parking only but there is a pay parking lot right out the front door which can be more convenient depending how busy the hotel is. Quiet rooms, very clean. Cant wait to come back and enjoy again!

Stayed here during a short Calgary trip and it was a solid pick. The location’s great—right by the river and walking distance to downtown spots. Rooms are spacious and clean, with a separate living area that’s handy if you’re working or just want to spread out. Service was friendly and check-in was smooth. The pool area is a nice bonus, especially if you’re traveling with kids. Not super flashy, but reliable and comfortable. Would recommend for both business and leisure stays.

As my preferred hotel in Calgary, I found the location to be exceptionally convenient, with a variety of fantastic restaurants within easy walking distance. The rooms were spacious and impeccably clean, and the staff exemplified the true meaning of exceptional customer service. I am also grateful for the recognition of my Titanium Bonvoy membership, which is a level of appreciation that is not always extended at other Marriott properties. Achieving this status represents considerable dedication, and the Sheraton Eau Claire certainly fulfilled the promised perks and upgrades. I certainly look forward to returning in the future.

We always stay at this hotel when flying out of Calgary. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and have everything that we need. The restaurant and lounge always have the friendliest staff! We also like that we have the option of leaving our vehicle at the hotel while we are away and that it is quite affordable. The airport shuttle is also very much appreciated. Even though I have previously written a review for this specific hotel, I wanted to write another as we recently had Basil check us in and we were so impressed with his friendly and attentive service! He was so helpful and personable. We really appreciated his warmth and hospitality!

If you are travelling with pets - stay away from this hotel! They charge 50 CAD for pet per day. What a rip off and total discrimination! Booked a room over the phone and requested pet friendly room. No mention of the pet charge at that time. During check-in ensured that a pet friendly room is provided. The price given at that time was for the room ONLY. After going upstairs with all the luggage, approximately 20min later got a call into the room from reception requesting to head back down to fill in a pet form. Only at that time I was told that a 50 CAD pet fee will be applied to the booking. This was a shock. They provided paper bowl, small toy and few poop bags after filling the form... such a great value for 50 CAD and totally useless as those are essential items we always have with us while we travel with our Rhodesian Ridgeback. You can do better Best Western Premier!!!! Also, older room and not a great location from the truck fumes and noise perspective (close proximity truck depots).

We stayed here two nights at the beginning and end of a trip to Banff and had a wonderful experience both times. The staff is warm and friendly, our rooms were super clean and comfortable, and the pool/hot tub is fabulous! We really appreciated early check in and late check out. The shuttle service to the airport worked great too. The hotel had a homey feel despite being a chain.

Rooms are clean and quiet and the bed is very comfortable. I generally only stay at Best Western Hotels and have stayed here several times on business. Only issues I have is the hot tub has been closed the last two times i was here and the gym equipment is workable but in badly need of tune ups.

We had a really good experience here. Front desk staff was extremely welcoming and friendly. Rooms were clean and we had lots of room (2 adults, 2 children). Restaurant was decent for a late night meal and had pretty good options. Pool was busy but kids still had a great time. Rate was reasonable comsidering we booked a last minute stay.

Perfect place to chill out before your flight. Beds are comfy. Has a fridge and coffee making facilities. Staff are friendly and efficient. We had food in the Bar, burger with pineapple surprisingly nice. Good pool and hot tub, added bonus of a fun slide.

I was very disappointed with my stay. The room had a strong urine odor and was noticeably dusty, which made it feel unclean and uncomfortable. It seemed as if a pet may have had an accident that was never properly addressed. In addition, the fireplace — which was included in the room rate and part of the reason I booked — did not work. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience and not what I expected for the price.

Pros: Friendly staff, beautiful pool area, and the grab&go market is very convenient, spacious room. Cons: Room (in the atrium building with balcony to view pool area) was very dim. There were 2 lights I couldn't figure out how to turn on which was very annoying. There was also about a 1 inch gap between my door and the floor, so it didn't feel very private and the noise from the hall often woke me. The room service is very lacking. There are no menus in the room, you need an app. I was to tired to figure that out so I just walked to the restaurant to bring food back to my room. I asked for cutlery and dishware at the front desk but they only offer disposable wood cutlery and no dishes. Really made it difficult to enjoy my meal. This is minor, but it would have been nice to be provided with a robe. I was also put off by the sign in the room asking me to tip room service. Overall, 3 stars. For $350/night I expected a slightly nicer experience but it was okay. I might stay again as the south location is convenient for me but I'd probably look elsewhere.

My boyfriend and I spent the weekend at this hotel. The front desk was great and the room was nice. Although the room was not cleaned after our first night, like we had requested. Also, the hot tub was GROSS!! There was way too much chlorine, it was burning my eyes and we ended up leaving after a few minutes. There were also a lot of bubbles which is a sign the water has not been changed or the hot tub has not been cleaned in a long time.

The hotel is fantastic for families and events. Workers... not quite as nice. The two weeks I have spent here have been on the noisy side. Lots of youth running around and the atrium can get very noisy with the sound of plates from the buffet, and the rooms look out over this space. The water slide and the pool, however, are awesome and would be great for families!

The hotel is in a wonderful location. We arrived with family for an anniversary. The room with balcony to the atrium is lovely. Unfortunately we stayed there during the same time a few baseball teams were in town. The kids were absolutely disrespectful of anyone else in the hotel. The staff were amazing at trying to make our stay enjoyable. Big shout out to S-e-v-i-n-j at the front desk!!! All hotel staff should watch and learn from her. She is incredible and we look forward to returning to the hotel because of the service we received.

Room was not properly cleaned or restocked. Shampoo and body wash were completely empty upon arrival, and front desk/guest services were extremely slow and unhelpful in getting us proper hygienic facilities restocked. I had to call guest services and go down to the front desk 3 times before we were finally given more. They don’t care about your time at all As well, the mattresses are dirty and yellow without a proper mattress cover and the garbage bins don’t have liners in them either

The room was clean and decent for the price. The bed was very comfortable, and the room was very quiet. On the other hand, the staff was cold and seemed really disconnected and not very helpful. Also, you’re kind of out in the concrete jungle wasteland near the airport where you pretty much need to Uber everywhere. I liked the hotel. The parking area was very dirty, and the staff was underwhelming to recap.

Nice place, but DO NOT COME HERE IF YOU HAVE YOUNG KIDS! They have absolutely no channels on the television with cartoons and no options for you to put cartoons on unless you rent a movie from them for $15 or more! Pretty sure this is the only hotel I have ever stayed in that did not have television channels available for young children. They clearly only prefer adults or older children staying in their hotel.

This hotel was simply in need of a little updating. There needs to be a sign indicating where to scan your card to get into the parking garage because many people would drive down and have to back up the little hill looking for it. The room walls are incredibly thin so having to wake up with the neighbors wake up calls was not so fun. My main complaint would be that the beds are extremely uncomfortable and need replacing. The staff was very friendly and always helpful. Decent breakfasts in the morning and the grounds were well kept. I wouldn't come back to this location but at least we tried it.

Dirty dirty dirty, our mattress cover has stains and when we asked house keeping to change the bedding they delivered us bedding to change ourselves. Sauce spill all over the floor that had not been cleaned. Throughout the hotel garbage was not touched over a matter of days in main areas. The pool had a yellow brown ring all around it from not being properly cleaned and the decks are black. Sandy silt in the bottom. We asked for another bottle of water and were told the allotment is one per room per stay. Hotel charged the credit card for the stay on check in and not check out. Parking was difficult to find and the front desk was less than helpful.

I have stayed here a couple of times because the price was decent for a 4 points Sheraton. However, the standards fall far below. The toilet in the room wouldn't filll properly, there were stains on the chair in the room, the carpet was in rough shape and dirty, and the window was disgustingly foggy and all marked up (worse in person than in the photos). The staff were good, but I knew that there was little they could do about the condition of the rooms, and I was too tired to start swapping rooms.

Mara, the guest services agent was very nice. My husband was the one who checked in first, as im doing my therapy at the hosp. She was very nice and the whole check in process was seamless. Thank yiu, Mara! Keep smiling, gurl!

Exceptional Customer Service! I recently had an amazing experience with the Holiday Inn Express in Calgary. Due to an family emergency I needed to cancel my reservation, and the hotel manager went above and beyond to assist me. Not only did they promptly cancel the booking on their end, but they also personally helped me navigate the refund process with the third-party provider. Their professionalism, empathy, and willingness to help truly stood out and turned a stressful situation into a smooth, hassle-free experience. Exceptional customer service like this is rare these days, and I’m genuinely grateful for the support I received. I will definitely be booking directly with them next time I visit Calgary. Highly recommend!

Got the job done for a short trip! Front desk staff was very friendly and helpful, she always had a huge smile. Our room was also upgraded free of cost and we got late checkout free of cost for being members. Breakfast was pretty good for a hotel. You can tell the building is a bit older as the elevator was kind of slow. The rooms were renovated which was nice. There were a few long hairs that were missed near on the bathroom floor near the shower which was a bit gross, but as someone with long hair, I can understand and I'm just glad they were on the floor and not anywhere else.

I chose this Holiday Inn because it was close to downtown and the Jubilee Center. It was easy to find and had parking included. Check in was very quick, the staff was friendly. Our room was clean and spacious. The price was perfect for one night.

Worst holiday Inn stay ever!! Front desk staff has lack of knowledge & rude with guest. At first she called me while I was on vacation in Edmonton that your pre booked room is not confirmed because credit card can’t be processed. After receiving email I called her to check properly she said sorry it went through. Lack of knowledge & expertise from staff’s have bad experience with guests. Also this location does not guarantee you safe free parking. The receptionist carelessly just said, feel free to park on the streets at your own cost if you can not find a parking at the premises. Had to come down and take extra blankets in the middle of the night since the couch bed was not prepared for the night and the receptionist couldn’t find staff to bring it to the room. No use discussing your concerns with the manager on duty Shamiza as she was the same. Been a regular IHG member but this location failed to deliver a pleasant stay experience!!

UPDATE: The hotel management is stating below that ''As a courtesy, we offered a complimentary late check-out, which overlapped with scheduled maintenance''. My response to them is that at no point was I informed that there will be scheduled maintenance. And why would you schedule a maintenance lasting an hour for an late check out of an hour. Secondly the hotel management is stating '', we also offered a room change, which was declined'' THIS IS A BLATANT LIE! Unbelievable how they spread misinformation online. My mother and I stayed in Room 302 at Holiday Inn downtown Calgary and were very disappointed with the service. We were granted a late check out at 1 pm. On our last day the receptionist called us informing us that people are coming to install blinds and new items in the room. I asked the receptionist to have them come in 2 hours as we will then check-out. He again called and said they cannot wait and have to access the room and that it would take ONLY 15 MINUTES. I sighed and agreed to have them come over (biggest mistake!). 3 men entered our room (was just me and my mother in that room). These men stayed with us in our room for over 50 minutes causing a lot of disruptive LOUD noises and talking about their personal lives not bothering if guests are in the room. It made us feel very uncomfortable . The lack of communication or courtesy from Holiday Inn Staff is unacceptable. Based from previous reviews, I have to agree they completely disregard their guest. Honestly if this is how they treat people , they should not be in the hospitality business. We will never return and do not recommend this hotel to anyone. In addition they have only ONE elevator for all their guests!

The A/C was leaking water and caused a lot of the carpet to be wet. Told them about it and they brought a towel…. I hope that kind of water isn’t causing mold. Otherwise, the room was old and well used. I’m giving 2 stars as it was nice that parking was included and the location was is convenient as it is a short walk to most of downtown Calgary.

Honey, I shrunk the hotel. DO NOT STAY HERE! This place is nothing like the photos. There is only one tiny elevator for the entire building, which makes getting to your room a frustrating ordeal. The hallways are narrow and cramped, adding to the overall feeling of being stuck in a budget motel rather than a proper hotel. The surrounding area feels unsafe—right across the street is a large homeless encampment. We did not feel comfortable walking outside, especially with our 5-year-old daughter. For families, this is absolutely not the right place to stay. If you value comfort, safety, and peace of mind while traveling, avoid this hotel at all costs.

I have eaten at the Blaze Bar and Grill numerous times and the food is great the Problem is waiting 10 or 15 minutes to be seated. Then, when you get a table, again you wait for anyone to acknowledge you. A couple of weeks ago 3 of us waited over half an hour to get waited on. All the waiters were hanging around the bar or walking around but doing nothing. Today we waited 5 minutes to be seated, two waitresses made eye contact then walked straight to the back. When we got a table we were given water and menus right away then waited another 20 to 25 min for someone to take our order. Instead they stood by the bar, one cleaned a table near us but didn't come over. Another talked to a table beside us but ignored us. When the waitress did come she apologized saying she was sorry she was on a break. Do the other waitresses not cover for each other? I have found there is only one good waitress and one good waiter. If I was the boss of the others they would be fired. Or perhaps their boss should notice how long they stand around and do nothing.

We chose the Grey Eagle for our mini honeymoon location. They provided us with chocolates, a nice card and Prosecco (although when asked by the front desk if I wanted red, white or Prosecco, I answered with white) which are thoughtful touches. The resort is full of wonderful amenities. We dined at the Little Chief restaurant our first night and the food there was exquisite, you can tell the Chef has put their heart and soul into curating delicious meals. For our second night we went to the buffet and casino. The buffet was highly recommended and it did not disappoint. The food and servers were wonderful. Unfortunately the cleanliness of our room was lacking, when we got into the room I did a PreCheck and found multiple problems. We chose the king suite with a Jacuzzi so we could relax and when I went to check out the tub found it to be riddled with unknown hairs. It was easily rectified but quite gross having to clean up after the previous guest. I found hair pins under the curtains, small garbage littered around and a sharp nail in the carpet. Thankfully I located that with my eyes rather than a foot. I understand the business of this hotel but having clean rooms should be a bare minimum.

I went to a show last night, Marc Rebillet, with a few friends and my husband. The show itself was awesome, but our experience with the Grey Eagle staff was humiliating. We arrived around 7:30pm and over the course of the entire evening, I ordered 3 Strongbow ciders from varying bartenders. At around 11pm, we were in the Casino area and my husband and I went to the bar and he ordered a drink while I ordered a water bottle to drink. We continued to play slots or machines for a little while, I mostly sat quietly and watched them play. A little while later, we went back to that same bar tender for another drink. My husband ordered his drink and I ordered another water. This is when the night broke down and their staff completely overreached their due diligence and embarassed me in front of my group. The bartender refused to serve me, citing I had been overserved. My husband reminded him that I was currently ordering a literal water bottle. Next thing we knew, there were Grey Eagle staff surrounding us and separating me from my husband to ask how I was getting home. Telling me it wasn't a night club (not once did I act like it was?? and was wearing a full jumpsuit completely modestly and professionally dressed). I couldn't tell if they were trying to look out for me or if I was in some kind of trouble. I kept asking them to explain why they targeted me out of the entire casino and they had no explaination. I stayed calm but kept asking for answers. My husband was being mistreated and sworn at by the security staff for asking questions too, including being physically pushed to the door. In complete confusion, I was escorted off the premises like I was some kind of drunk or problem customer. Our friends came with us too and didn't understand what was happening either. Outside, while waiting for our Uber, several random patrons came over to tell me how messed up they thought it was and that clearly Grey Eagle staff are completely power tripping and have nothing better to do on a Sunday evening. I literally work today, which is why I am up now at 7am writing this. I was not anywhere near the inebriation they acted like I was to embarass me in front of a group of friends and my husband. I wasn't acting out or doing anything disruptive. I was literally sitting and drinking water bottles. I am not sure what protocols they have in place that require a 32 year old woman who is out for a show with her husband of 12 years and friends to be escorted off the premises by security for drinking 3 Strongbows over the course of 4 hours. I have tickets for future shows at GE but I won't be going there again. I cannot justify spending a dime in a place like this. I never write reviews like this because I myself run a large business and understand the nuance of bad customer service...but there was no nuance here. It was complete mistreatment. They need to seriously assess their staff and protocols. If you read the reviews, you'll notice that management only reaches out to rectify issues with customers who mention spending hundreds or more dollars gambling. Crooks.

Went to the buffet for a friend’s birthday. As a vegan there’s somewhat limited options in the buffet. However, Chef Andrew prepared a delicious special meal for me. He was very pleasant and attentive to what I could eat from the buffet. He took the time to come by and ask how my meal was. It was great experience for both my non vegan friends and me!

We were really looking forward to staying here for a concert, but the hotel room turned out to be a huge disappointment. The layout itself was fine, but the cleanliness was shocking. If you like black hair everywhere, this is the place for you. I’m staying here tonight and I’m disgusted. It doesn’t seem like the hotel even owns a vacuum—there were hairs across the bathroom floor, on the chairs, and in multiple spots throughout the room. To make it worse, I also found food crumbs and toenails. If you enjoy playing “guess the previous guest” based on the sheer volume of hair left behind, then this hotel is for you. Nothing makes you feel more unwelcome than having to do your own forensic sweep just to feel comfortable enough to sit down, let alone sleep. Save yourself the disgust. A hotel that can’t manage basic hygiene doesn’t deserve a single star, let alone your business. A hotel with this much potential shouldn’t be failing at the most basic expectation: a clean room. Until they take housekeeping seriously, I can’t recommend staying here.

The venue itself was awesome—great sound, clean space, and a perfect setting for a concert like SB19. BUT the security team really killed the vibe. They were too aggressive and unnecessarily strict. One moment stood out: the crowd was cheering on a young girl to dance—she was literally standing in front of her own seat, enjoying the moment like everyone else. Even SB19 encouraged us to stand up and have fun. But a security guard singled her out and embarrassed her in front of the whole section. Totally uncalled for. It felt like they were enforcing rules just for the sake of shutting things down—not for safety or order. This kind of energy doesn’t belong in a concert that’s built around joy, community, and connection. I hope future events here come with better, more understanding crowd control. The artists and fans deserve better.

Everything was perfect, fast and easy check in, rooms were clean and we had a great sleep, reasonably priced compared to other hotels. Went to the buffet for supper and breakfast, food was awesome and reasonably priced (you can't go wrong when paying $22 for 2 breakfasts) eggs, bacon, hash browns, sausage and coffees. Staff were always friendly and polite. Casino was fun, we lost a bunch but ended up winning it all back and quite a bit more. Great place to stay, this was our 2nd time staying and we will hopefully go back in the future.

The rooms were clean, comfortable, and cozy, with excellent room service. I stayed for a couple of nights while attending a company conference downtown. The hotel is just a 10-minute drive from downtown, which is a big advantage since overnight parking there can be a hassle. I had breakfast in the morning, and it was fresh and well-prepared. The staff were friendly and provided excellent service.

Great hotel!! Check in was quick and painless, excellent group rate for business, friendly staff. The hotel has a restaurant with bar right by the lobby, a 24 hour gym if you want to burn some calories while on the road. Free Wifi and the room has a mini fridge, a microwave, a coffee machine and a kettle if you need to boil water. The bathroom is nice and clean with a glass door standing shower(no tub, which is fine by me). The bed is comfortable too! I visit this property once every few month for my business trip, and I highly recommend this property.

Dog Owners Beware! – Avoid This Hotel! Our stay at Hotel Blackfoot was a complete disaster. From check-in, we were treated rudely, barely acknowledged, and falsely told that breakfast was not included – even though it was clearly part of our booking. One of the main reasons we chose this hotel was for its advertised pet-friendliness. On the first two mornings, we were allowed to have our dog with us at breakfast without any issues. On the third morning, however, we were suddenly denied entry. The manager was rude, directed us to room service (with only 25 minutes left before the buffet closed), and then called the hotel manager, who insisted firmly and without compromise that we leave the area immediately. The day before, the same manager had also called our room to falsely claim that our extended booking could not be found in the system and that we were staying “illegally” – only later was it revealed that the mistake was entirely on the hotel’s side. The breakfast buffet did not match what was advertised. The original photos showing a lavish buffet with cheese platters were removed. Now, only bacon, bagels, and fresh fruit are shown – none of which were freely available and could only be purchased for an outrageous extra fee of $6. In summary: the hotel advertises pet-friendliness and a great breakfast but fails to deliver either. Combined with unprofessional staff, contradictory communication, and disrespectful treatment, this made our stay extremely disappointing and stressful – especially at over $200 per night. Dog owners, think twice before booking here!

Stayed here for years an always enjoyed cooked breakfast from menu included with room. Now it is changed to a downgraded basic bad buffet with poor quality choices. This may be a sign to look for a different place to stay in Calgary. Update: The manager has been communicating with me and working hard to fix this for the future. Nice to see the genuine efforts.

The location was very convenient for my purposes. It has a large green space for dog walking. The dog fee was pricey but seemed to be for the whole stay (and not per dog per day). It was quiet, and the restaurant was convenient and good.

The stay was great—I was there for 3 days and 2 nights. The only downside was the restaurant, which was a complete waste of money. My stay didn’t come with free breakfast (which I wasn’t aware of), as the host simply told us to pick any seat. So my friend and I did. After sitting down and grabbing our food, we weren’t even asked what we wanted to drink—they just handed us coffee and then asked for our voucher, only to tell us we had to pay. We paid the bill, but we were extremely disappointed with the price. Totally not worth it! The food was terrible: soggy scrambled eggs and stale pancakes. I will never go back to that restaurant again!

Our experience at the Fairmont Palliser left nothing for wanting...it was the perfect way to celebrate our anniversary. Our suite was gracious and inviting, with a bed and linens that felt like pure luxury. The in-room music station, complete with LPs, added a touch of nostalgia that set such a memorable tone for our stay. The Gold Floor is simply the best. We love the private lounge, the peace, the view, the carefully chosen beverages, snacks, and delightful evening canapés. Having a breakfast buffet in the Gold Lounge is another fabulous perk that makes the experience feel even more special. the location is right in the heart of Calgary and afforded us so many options for dining and shopping. Most of all, we cannot rave enough about the staff. Their attention to detail, genuine kindness, and thoughtful accommodations ensured our stay was everything we hoped for and more. We found ourselves looking forward to our interactions and seeing their smiling faces throughout the day. Everyone worked in sync to make us feel special and appreciated. We leave very satisfied and very grateful. The Fairmont Palliser made our anniversary celebration unforgettable.

As most Fairmont, this place is overrated, overpriced and need serious renovations. I don't know where to start. Lobby is obviously nice. However, the bar is a total scam. The bartender was more busy flirting with middle-aged client than actually acknowledging the presence of a 31 years old professional. Not even talking about the price. A pint of beer is $15 were you could easily buy one anywhere else for $5-7. The room was clean but the shower didn't work properly. The power outlet were also not working properly, and don't even think about finding an integrated USB wall outlet, or integrated in the furniture like it is the case in most hotels these days. I was lucky enough for having a room that was facing the street. However, many clients end up with a room facing the railway, unable to sleep properly. Some of my friends ask for a late check-out. When they rushed to their room to pick up their luggage, their keys were all disactivated. All that for what? Over $300 a night? Do yourself a favour : save yourself some money, go to the Marriott or Le Germain, and stop by the lobby because it is actually the only good reason to go to the Fairmont Palliser.

Excellent location, right beside the Calgary Tower. Walking distance to a lot of attractions in downtown. I really enjoyed the stay because the service was exceptional. Even at midnight, things get fixed efficient and in a timely manner. I really wanted to express my gratitude to the royal service night manager Georgina and in room dining server Robert for their exceptional care and speedy responses. We stayed at the Palliser on the Gold Floor Aug 22-25. The room had a large washroom and seating area. The bed was super comfy. The breakfast and dinner dishes were incredible. So fresh and so many choices. We ate at the Hawthorn and it was happy hour. We got 25 percent off the steak, burger and Brussel sprouts. My creamsicle cocktail was delicious!

Wonderful stay for our first time in Calgary. After a booking error they swiftly upgraded us and moved our items while we were out. Jameson was super helpful keeping me posted via text. The gold level was a great experience and worth the extra cost. It includes a lovely penthouse lounge with breakfast and evening snacks. Sammy was also exceptional but the whole staff was friendly and outstanding. Location is perfect, I self parked and never needed the car for 4 days.

So fortunate we got to spend a night here on our Vacation. Sad part is that it was only one night. This place is first class. The history and ambiance is off the hook. Next trip to Calgary and we will be staying here. Gold rooms are spacious and so well appointed. The Gold Reception area and Gold Studio on the top floor makes this place a five star package you won't forget. Great food in the morning and evenings are available to Gold Room attendees, and these treats are great! The hotel staff from the front door through management is exceptional. I am impressed with this property and we stay at Fairmonts when possible. This is Calgary's finest hotel. A+ all the way! We will be back :)

We had the pleasure of being served by Julie every morning at Hawthorn Lounge, and she was absolutely wonderful. Always welcoming, attentive, and cheerful — she made each breakfast a great start to our day. Her service truly stood out!

Overall good experience. Rooms are clean, staff have been very nice and helpful. Restaurant could use some better service. Both times I went, there was nobody to seat us, as we had to seat ourselves and also had to ask for a server. Our bill or server didn't return to our table for a long time. Had to go to the restaurant entrance desk to pay. Not a big deal, but something to get right. Rooms were quiet, beds and pillows are comfy, air conditioning/heater worked very fast. Pool and hot tub area are good fun for the kids. Would recommend this hotel for mid-level hotel stay.

My family went away for the weekend for a much-needed vacation, and I am so glad I stumbled upon this hotel. I had looked up hotels close to Telus Spark with water slides for my young sons, and this location came up first. The pictures look nice online, but nothing can do it justice except visiting. The Port o Call honestly boasts the best hotel pool setup I have ever seen, and I’ve been to quite a few hotels in my time. The hotel itself it so comfortable, accommodating, and surprisingly high end for the affordable price! The Skyharbour Grill had a wonderful (and wonderfully affordable) breakfast buffet. I am already planning to come back here the next time we need to stay in Calgary for any reason. I would stay here without my kids! There are two hot tubs! Anyway, I can’t gush about this place enough and I highly recommend you consider staying here whether or not you have little ones to accommodate.

This was a fantastic trip! Great stay, quiet hotel, and great place for plane spotting when the one runway is open. The team was able to get me an early check-in without issues and even was able to go above and beyond to get me a late check out. Being able to sleep in on a Monday morning is always amazing, but what made it even more special was that I could spend my first day being 33 as lazy as I wanted in the morning. Sehaj made me feel right at home. After we talked the first time she made a point to remember my name and greet me by my name at any point she could.

If I could give 10 stars I would!! My daughter had her birthday celebration here and all the staff were AMAZING!! They really made it a wonderful experience. My daughter had the time of her life. I’m sure it was the best party she’s ever had. Her friends all asked to celebrate here too. We got 2 pool rooms, it was the best experience, coolest room to stay in! And the pool was pretty fun also. LONG BUT WORTH READING ! Check-in took a long time, but we brushed it off after a full day of travel. When we returned around midnight, a loud group was drinking near the lobby with no staff intervention. Our room’s pillowcases were filthy with stains, hair, and makeup. After waiting an hour for replacements, we had to go to the front desk ourselves. The next morning we were woken by kids screaming in the hallways, and later heard something big, likely a RODENT of some sort, moving inside the walls (I’m assuming running up from the rooms being renovated on the floor beneath us). The room smelled like burnt hair and the walls were dirty. Breakfast was decent and the pool was great for a hotel but that’s the only positive part of our stay. We were brushed off at checkout without a chance to share our concerns. Very disappointed. I expected much better from Best Western.

I will NEVER use any other hotel, other than Best Western. I have travelled all across North America , many, many times, and NEVER have I ever been disappointed or upset about anything. with BEST WESTERN hotels , they will ALWAYS go that EXTRA mile, to accommodate you. Also, their standards are very high , and yet the prices very reasonable. This has now become a very much needed experience, in our world today. THANK YOU BEST WESTERN.👍

We stayed here for 3 days and the room condition was so nice. We worried about the facilities from some reviews. But everything was fine. The queen-size bed was so comfortable and the washroom was also clean and looked nice. I hope to try their indoor swimming pool, but we don't have much time. The staff were friendly and nice to the customers. If you don't care about the location, I recommend it.

My friend and I visited Canada for the first time from Australia. We had such a lovely time at the hotel and all the staff we interacted with were very friendly and helpful. Especially the lady who checked us in (I'm so sorry I forgot her name, please give her our regards!) who was also originally from Sydney just like me! The welcome card I received was very heartwarming and the benefits offered for employees were great as well. Concierge were always ready to help and Housekeeping requests were always answered promptly. The property is so conveniently located near tram stops, Calgary Tower, Stephen St which made it easy for us to walk everywhere and explore the city. I would absolutely love to come back and stay again!

Amazing hotel right in the city center, within walking distance of all main attractions. Spacious, comfortable, newly refurbished rooms with large bathrooms. Convenient on-site parking. Above all, the staff are truly outstanding. We had a small medical situation in our group, and they handled it with the utmost professionalism—calm, efficient, almost as if it was a drill—while remaining exceptionally kind, caring, and helpful throughout. For that, we are sincerely grateful. Thank you!

Yes! 100% I love this place. Firstly, we arrived super early for our conference and for a minimal fee was able to check in at 11am. Within an hour, the hotel had our second room ready to check in. LOVE IT! The front desk staff is probably the kindest and most helpful hotel staff I have literally ever met. Went the extra mile at every chance. Rooms have super cool features like a clock in the bathroom mirror, bedside lamps that could be dimmed, and best of all filtered water taps in the bathrooms so I didnt have to pay 8 bucks for 500ml of water. Super close to loads of restaurants although I would warn that there is a population of people struggling with drug addiction in downtown Calgary. Its far safer to stay in the hotel and they have a great selection of food and beverages. Well done! Keep up the good work!

Absolutely amazing stay at this great property! All of restaurant staff were amazing! Our food was delicious & made with care. Irene was especially helpful! Candace and Nicole were wonderful at the front desk, helping with all of our requests and allowing us to check-in early. This property had great rooms, with a nice pool on the 18th floor. I'll definitely be back!

I've stayed a number of really nice Hyatt hotels. The Calgary Hyatt was OK. No complaints about the service but it was nothing special. The check-in and check-out people were OK but not particularly warm or engaging. The hotel is centrally located and was perfect for my needs location-wise. I was there for a two-day conference so I booked all four days of my Calgary trip in this hotel. The hotel conference was well run and the food was great, although they ran out of coffee during one of the morning breaks and none of the staff seemed to be too concerned. My room had two queen beds and I was wondering how many guests really need two queens in their room? The room was rather narrow and the two beds took up most of the room, so it was annoying when I was trying to get ready in the morning and the desk chair kept getting in the way. IMO, the Hyatt needs to get rid of the extra bed and give guests some more room. The workout area was good and had plenty of treadmills. Maybe another bench or two would be good.

Alright hotel for the most part but they definitely don’t clean the remotes. Found a remote caked in other people’s dead skin when I checked in. Pretty icky. Hope they clean high-touch surfaces better in the future. Business centre printer also does not work.

I enjoyed my 4 night stay at this hotel. Hotel staff were friendly. I really like the bathroom layout where it feels spacious. Lots of counter space in the room. Daily room service. Got to enjoy the hot tub and steam room after a long hike in Banff. It was a super great treat! Hot tub water was very hot and not too crowded. (Max 4 people in the hot tub while I was there) Superb location. Right by Calgary tower, a tram station and Stephen avenue. You’ll see some questionable characters around the hotel since it’s downtown but we didn’t get harassed. I was able to find street parking most nights near the hotel which was great

The rooms are large and very well equipped with desk/dresser and multiple night stands. Plenty of hanging space for clothes and nice robes. The bathroom was also very nice, with a great shower, multiple shower heads,. The room was also very clean. I would definitely stay here again. Used the shuttle to the airport, Lucky was my driver, and he was very friendly. He provided a very well maintained bus, and was on time.

The hotel is nice quiet roomy. Personnel is very friendly and helpful. Food is really good and prices are ok. But if you want something else, you can deliver to the hotel.There are vendors machines at every level and ice machines as well. Gym is small, but enough for fitness. Hot tub is outdoor and so cool!! Right at the roof, with beautiful view. There is iron in the room, TV has option to connect with your device, and there is small TV in the bathroom as well! Hotel is very close to the airport and have shuttle every 30 minutes. So comfy to stay between flights. Pillows and bed were really cozy, had a good rest. Thank you so much! Totally recommend

They have a very friendly staff. The check-in team was kind, and Lucky was exceptionally helpful. I had accidentally left my travel pillow in a different hotel shuttle, and he went out of his way to track it down and return it to me. I truly appreciated his effort. I also love the warm smiles on the staff’s faces whenever they assist you. I will definitely stop over again.

A great hotel conveniently located about 2 km from the airport. Rooms: 5/5 modern and lux room that was clean and comfortable. The bathroom had a mini TV, not that it was a deal breaker. There’s a state of the art shower. They even have pet friendly options. Other great amenities include an iron board and mini fridge. Service: 5/5 top notch customer service staff from the shuttle bus drivers (who actually assist you with heavy luggage) to the concierge staff. There’s Tonic Kitchen & Bar, a restaurant inside the facility with tasty contemporary food from steak to salads. Location: 5/5 close to the airport with free shuttle service to and from the airport 24/7. Just need to arrange ahead of time. If you want convenience & comfort, Hotel Clique is a must stay especially with late or early flights.

Hotel Clique was the perfect stopover hotel for us to catch a flight out of Calgary. The room and beds were really comfortable for a good night’s sleep. The restaurant food for breakfast was fast and tasty. But best of all was the service. We had booked a king size bed, but because my kids had their flight cancelled from Glacier Airport in Montana, we had to make an extra trip to pick them up and bring them to Calgary. The hotel was fully booked but the receptionist, Jaishika, took my name and as soon as a double queen room became available, she switched us immediately. That was super helpful because we were out of cell phone range most of the drive. It all worked out great, and all the staff members we encountered were really nice. Thanks for taking care of us!

Jaishika is the most fabulous receptionist ever; professional, kind and acutely attuned to guests needs and desires. Very creative problem solver too. If there’s such a thing as a fast track program for career advancement in the hospitality industry she should be in it yesterday. Thank you for your excellent service this morning!! (4 out 5 stars for service only because another receptionist still has a lot to learn from Jaishika - if a woman asks a question, you don’t answer the husband. Let alone not even acknowledging she’s there to begin with…)

Stayed here for a night before flying out the next day. Location is great if you need to be close to the airport and next door is a casino if you are looking for something to do. We really enjoyed the rooftop hot tub and rooms were really clean. I would give the restaurant a 3.5/5.

We stayed for a concert in town, and the staff were very welcoming and friendly! I had originally accidentally booked at the wrong location (not my proudest moment, but we are all human), but the Ramada staff made that potentially very stressful situation a pleasant and easy one! Within 15 minutes on the phone we were rebooked and our whole experience there was very pleasant. The rooms were comfortable and clean. There was no parking lot or street parking, however they do provide underground valet and while this was unexpected the valet staff were incredibly kind, welcoming, careful, and considerate. The fees for the parking could also be taken from our deposit at the end of our stay, which made an unexpected expense much more manageable. We felt more comfortable with the valet after seeing the staff and how great they were! We would definitely stay again.

For the cost of the room I expected better. Room was freezing had to get maintenance. Next day we entered room and it was again too cold. Ordered extra blankets. No cream or sugar for coffee maker. If you need a fridge check first ours didn't have one. Room like the rest of hotel looks old (80's) and tired. Saving grace was the friendly staff and the comfortable beds.

Reasonably clean room with a nice clean jetted tub and comfortable bed. The hotel itself has clearly seen better days but cleans up well enough. However, I can't in good conscience recommend that anyone stay here, because I have never in my life had such a hard time with a hotel putting random holds and transactions on my credit card. First they pre-authorized my card for the entire stay plus incidentals on my arrival. Then the next day I found a pending transaction for an additional night, which I had to go to hotel management to get removed - they claimed this was a "system glitch". And now, nearly a full week after my arrival, I'm finding a pending transaction for the entire stay on my credit card - despite the fact that I have already paid for the stay and the transaction for that statement is posted on my credit card. The hotel is saying they can't remove it and I need to call my credit card company; the credit card company is saying to contact the hotel. It's absolutely insane for a mid-range hotel to have had over $1000 in charges on my credit card for nearly a full week for a one weekend stay. I have never had this experience with any other hotel. Whatever process the Ramada Plaza uses for billing is clearly not functioning as it should. I won't be staying here again.

Room was quite warm with no way to control the temperature due to central air system. Lots of noise from surrounding rooms and doors to the hallway were very hard to close which resulted in a lot of slamming doors at all hours. Valet parking was very nice though. Convenient location and good price.

I recently stayed at this hotel and it was hands down the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. The room smelled absolutely awful, like it hadn’t been cleaned properly in ages. It looked old, worn out, and just depressing to be in. There were actual flies in the room, and the washroom was tiny and uncomfortable. The bed was terrible. I couldn’t sleep at all and woke up with a stiff neck and itching all over my body, which makes me seriously question the cleanliness of the bedding. The AC barely worked, and there was no fan or anything else to help cool the room. I ended up sweating all night in a stuffy room with no proper ventilation. On top of that, parking was a complete nightmare. Even though you’re already paying to stay at the hotel, they still charge you for parking. And guess what? The parking was full. The staff told me to go park in a different lot down the street, which cost me even more money. When I asked about the safety of that lot, they flat-out said it’s not their problem. So not only did they not provide parking, they also didn’t care enough to help find a safe alternative. Honestly, I don’t recommend this hotel to anyone. It’s not worth your money, your time, or your peace of mind. There are much better options in Calgary. This place needs serious improvements in both facilities and customer service. Total disappointment. Avoid it.

Nice hotel and loved dinner a the Fox restaurant. Did NOT experience the negative aspects some Reviews mention. Our upgrade King Room was great, and clean. Balcony with 2 chairs ... provided a nice view of the city. >> We left an iPad behind but Ivy went to a UPS store, got it packaged and sent back to us. This process was quick and excellent. Exceeded our expectations. Yes, we did pay shipping cost.

Where do I start… Booked a room with a SEPARATE living room area because our toddler doesn’t sleep well in the same room as us. Requested a crib as well so we didn’t have to bring our own. Call a few days before adding an extra day to our stay, they say it’s no problem we just need to downgrade to a queen bed from a king bed, we don’t care about the bed and add the extra room. I double check we still have the extra living room space that’s separated from the bed (a 1 bedroom apartment like set up.) everything is fine. Call the day of the reservation at 12pm, make sure they are going to have the crib in the room ready to use because we’re going to be getting in late and just want to go straight to the room and transfer our sleeping toddler from the car to the crib. They are literally doing the room change over and assure us the crib will be in the room when we get there. My husband and mother in law are in the room, I’m talking on speakerphone and they heard them say the crib will be there. Also had to call three times to get through to someone, one person just hung up on me, should have been my first sign. We get there and check in, did the pre check in and just ask if the crib is ready. They say it should be in the room and if not they’ll bring it right away. Tell us to go check the room for it, toddler has waken up at this point… great. Get to the room, no crib, of course. Husband plays with our toddler and I go down to see where the crib is at. The front desk person ASSURES me that the crib is on its way to the room and is basically telling me to calm down and not worry about it. I then advise her of our second issue we have, that we were given the wrong room. When they added another night and downgraded it to a queen they also downgraded our room and it no longer has a separate living room space. I’m focused on that issue at this point since they tell me the crib is on the way to the room, phone my husband who doesn’t answer and I assume he’s putting the toddler to bed in the CRIB that SHOULD BE IN THE ROOM AT THIS POINT. They tell me that they don’t have the separate living rooms available and don’t have any adjoining rooms either, offer us a jacuzzi room, I don’t want a freaking jacuzzi I need a crib. One of the front desk people said they don’t even have rooms like that at the hotel and the other one said they did, I’m just so confused at this point. Just as they are finishing telling me that there are no rooms available of the kind we booked this guy comes out of the back and tells me that THEY DONT HAVE A CRIB IN THE HOTEL TO GIVE US. I basically demand a refund, we were going to let the separate living room issue slide because it isn’t that big of a deal, we can deal with a not so great night sleep with our toddler if it comes to that, we just want to go to sleep because it’s late. But not having a crib was just not going to work. Currently at the best western not far away for the same price (free parking and breakfast which this hotel did not have) called them when I found out they didn’t have the crib all along and they had a room saved for us and they had the crib in the freaking room before I even officially booked the room AND it has a separate living room. Hoping that they actually properly did the refund but I’m not counting on it, will see in a few days if it worked. Absolutely insane to do this to a family with a 1 year old toddler. It’s one thing if we were ill prepared and requested a crib last minute but we: 1. Made the booking requesting a crib/pack and play 2. Confirmed again when we added an extra day to our reservation 3. Called the day of when they would have been doing the change overs for the rooms to at this point triple check they had the freaking crib and they assured us they did Service was awful, the people at the front desk acted like I was being pushy and over the top requesting the crib right away, like it’s 9pm and we need to put our toddler to bed now. Basically saying, we’re getting the crib, no need to worry. THEY DIDNT EVEN HAVE ONE.

We had a wonderful stay! The room was clean, quiet, and comfortable, and the staff were welcoming and helpful throughout our visit. The safe in our room didn’t work at first, but they came quickly to fix it, which we really appreciated. Breakfast was fresh with a good variety to start the day, though I do suggest moving the waffle station away from the beverages, as the long line-up in the mornings caused a lot of confusion for guests trying to grab coffee or juice. Also, the blackout curtains don’t actually close all the way, so it’s super bright in the mornings. Overall, great location and excellent service overall. Would definitely stay again!

We enjoyed our pet friendly stay at this hotel. Check in and check out was friendly and easy. Wifi was good, free outdoor parking, and continental breakfast. The pool was a nice as well. A lot of restaurant options all around, and there's also a mall down the street with a food court (there's a bubble tea place inside). Room was clean and comfortable. It's also a short drive from some dog parks, and the University district which was a hive of activity when we stopped up there for dinner. Definitely recommended.

The hotel is showing its age a little but it met my needs. Room was updated and spacious other than the bathroom which is pretty small. The location was adequate. The free breakfast met my needs but certainly did not wow me. It is an adequate hotel that fills a basic need at a fair price.

The room was clean and amenities were good. The breakfast was good, well stocked and the lady in charge was lovely. The staff were friendly and helpful. I find it a shame that for a hotel wanting to promote environmental awareness, there are paper cups covered in plastic at breakfast instead of crockery and glasses. Overall a good stay, very close to the train station.

We regularly stay at this best western us location any time we are in Calgary, and the staff and rooms here never miss the mark. We arrived here early, and Tommy at the front desk exceeded our expectations, while being busy with calls and other duties. She is a very knowledgeable and understanding person. The rooms are clean, neat, and comfy as usual, and this was a very pleasant experience as per usual.

Stayed here with family for a night. The front desk was friendly. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. Had a good sleep. The complimentary breakfast was delicious. Parking is free. Enjoyed the spa and fitness center. Highly recommend.

I recently stayed at the Best Western Plus Village Park Inn, and after reading some reviews beforehand, I had tempered expectations, which helped. Overall, the hotel was decent, but there were a couple of notable issues. To avoid noise from the pool area, we requested a room away from it and were placed in one facing Crowchild Trail. This turned out to be a mistake, as the constant road noise from this busy street made it hard to sleep without earplugs. A quieter room location would have made a big difference. The second issue was the bathtub, which drained very slowly. After a short shower, my feet were soaking in wastewater, which felt unhygienic and was quite unpleasant. On the positive side, the staff were friendly and approachable, which made the stay more pleasant. While the hotel has potential, addressing the noise and plumbing issues would greatly improve the experience. I’d suggest choosing a room carefully if you stay here.

I was very upset with this hotel when I checked in - my room looked into the parking garage! They didn’t seem that busy, so this seemed unnecessary. However - when I expressed my displeasure - they asked if I wanted to switch (not worth it for 2 nights), gave me a late check out and breakfast voucher. I like a hotel that makes things right!! The location isn’t great - not close to town or the airport, but they have an excellent shuttle service to and from the airport. The hotel is clean, has nice amenities (indoor pool, hot tub, gym) and the rooms are comfortable. There is a bar and restaurant. For a short stopover - it’s an excellent option.

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel, using it as our home base for daily trips to Banff. The location was absolutely perfect for this, with incredibly easy access to the highway, which made our mornings a breeze. We also never had an issue with parking; there was always plenty of space available. The staff truly made our visit special. Every single person we interacted with, from the day shift to the night shift, was exceptionally friendly, welcoming, and helpful. A special mention goes to the housekeeping team who kept our room perfectly clean and tidy. It was such a pleasure to return to a fresh, welcoming space after a long day of hiking, and they were happy to help with the few requests we had. The breakfast buffet was another highlight. It had everything you could ask for and more—pancakes, French toast, bacon, sausage, a variety of eggs, fresh fruit, and pastries. It was the perfect way to fuel up for our adventures. Our only issue was with the air conditioning unit in the room. While the room itself was spotless, the AC was quite loud. Because of the noise, we opted not to run it overnight, which meant the room could get a little warm. We tried to work around it by running the AC while we were out during the day to cool the room down for the evening. Despite the noisy AC, we would absolutely recommend this hotel and would happily stay here again. The incredible staff, wonderful breakfast, and convenient location more than made up for that one small inconvenience

Overall, I am happy with my one night stay. Service was friendly, room was spacious and clean. Shower had good water pressure and overall satisfying to use. The elevator was not working the entire time we stayed so we had to use the stairs. The teabags in my room were clearly not changed for a very long time as they were mouldy, so this is my only complaint.

This doesn't feel like the "typical" Holiday Inn that you are probably used to. It feels like an older hotel that was converted into a Holiday Inn and just doesn't have the same vibes. There is no breakfast included and they don't offer the standard one that other locations have. There is a restaurant onsite that you can go to for breakfast/lunch/dinner and you can order room service for only lunch or dinner (but it costs you $6 delivery, plus a standard 15% gratuity ... so you might as well just go to the restaurant and pick it up). The room was clean and the staff was friendly. The jacuzzi suite is spacious and the large tub is a nice addition. The bathroom has heated floors, but the water pressure in the show is terrible. The bed was comfy. The wifi is easy to connect and fast. The tvs have basic cable and you cant connect your phone to watching your streaming services, which is kind of a bummer. The elevators were broken while we stayed there, which was an incredible pain as we were on the top floor (5 stories). The hotel staff did bring the heavy luggage up the room upon arrival, which was good because I would NOT have been able to get it up there myself. Although being at the hotel for a week (business trip) it was really frustrating to take the stairs several times a day when I have mobility issues. And it made me not able to go to the restaurant, or pool/hot tub because of the added stress of only having the stairs as an option to get to them. The hotel isn't bad, but it just does not feel like a Holiday Inn, which is the brand name that I trust and wanted. I probably wouldn't stay here again for that reason.

Elevators were down, but they had enough bell hops to handle luggage. Nice clean room. Good quality breakfast. Do not recommend the airport shuttle service: cracked windshield, at least 2 broken seat belts on first bench seat. Should be taken off the road.

I booked a prepaid reservation through Booking.com for the wrong date accidentally. And had to go back and forth between Booking.com and the hotel to cancel it. The evening Front Desk was very helpful and polite. I called the hotel back in the morning to see if they got the cancellation message from Booking.com as they advised to do and the morning Front Desk was impatient and rude. I talked to her 2 times and every time I had a feeling that she's just trying to get rid of me, twice she hung up on me without saying good buy. After resolving the issue with Booking.com I called them again, because Booking.com couldn't reach them over the phone and they sent an email, so I decided to call and check if they got the message. I was immediately transferred to the manager without any explanation and the manager was extremely rude, and raising her voice at me from the beginning of the conversation. I think this is completely unacceptable. I wasn't rude or yelling or asking for anything crazy and I didn't understand the reason for such treatment. That place definitely has to learn what customer service is. Will never stay there or recommend it to anyone.

I'd read the negative reviews and they almost put me off staying here, but ultimately the price and availability meant I ended up at this hotel anyway. And I'm so glad I did. The reviews mentioned poor service, dirty rooms and showers, and other issues. I did not experience any of this. From receptionists to the house keeping staff, everyone was friendly and welcoming. The room was large, modern and clean. The air conditioning was fantastic. The bathroom was clean. A slight issue was that there was no hot water on arrival, but this resolved itself after a couple of hours. The shower head was old and the flow not perfect, but it was more than adequate and once the hot water was working again it was beautifully, painfully boiling if desired! The bed was comfy. Zero complaints and would happily come back again.

Booked online and everything went smoothly. Check was great - super pleasant and helpful. Downtown location was great and they provided underground parking at no extra charge. I stayed with my daughter so they even had the sofa bed out and ready for us. The only thing that needed attention was the breakfast; rubber egg omelettes, the make your own waffles and coffee - no real selection of cereals or fresh fruit. Even the defrosted frozen fruit to go with yogurt was empty and didn’t get replaced until we were leaving. I would still stay again though - based on proximity and how great the front desk staff was.

I just recently (September 20-22) stayed here and had a pretty terrible experience. Myself, my mom and my two kids were booked in for 2 nights. The first night of our stay the fire alarm went off at 2am. By the time we made it all the way to the lobby they inform us it was a false alarm and said we could go back to our rooms. We really thought it would just be a story of unfortunate circumstances about the one time the fire alarm went off in the hotel. Unfortunately that was not the case... The second night of our stay, around 10:30pm as my mom and I were just preparing to go to bed for the night and the fire alarm went off AGAIN. I quickly scooped up my kids and made our way downstairs and out to the parking lot where we stood for about 15 minutes as the fire department showed up, checked out the situation and then informed us it was another false alarm and we were okay to return to our rooms. We returned to our rooms, I was just settling my kids when the fire alarm went off once again. Once again, I scooped up and ran down the stairs with two kids, waited for the fire department to arrive to be told be told it was yet another false alarm. Enough was enough for us, my mother and I packed up our suitcase and my two traumatized kids at 11:30pm and drove the 2.5 hours home as we were not going to stay there any longer. My mom (who booked the room) has yet to reach out to the hotel but I spoke with the front desk agent last night about contact information for the manager and mentioned that I am expecting some sort of compensation/reimbursement for this ordeal. At that time it did not sound that promising from him. I will update my review when my mom has heard back from the hotel. Hopefully an agreement can be reach and we can be compensated in some sort of way, especially, since we didn't even spend a full second night at the hotel. Very unfortunate situation and I will not be staying at this hotel again, nor recommending anyone else stay there. *Updated to reply to the response on my review* -while our stay still wasn't the best my mom was credited for one night of our stay by the hotel. The manager pologized profusely and stated that all the incidents were caused by vaping. I have given the hotel one more star in kind to the good customer service. Unfortunately, due to the actions of individuals it was just not a good stay. The hotel itself it's clean and would be a good place to stay if it weren't for the fire alarm

I appreciated the level of service and the extra effort the front desk girl put into making guests feel welcome. However, during a busy time with a lineup, I felt like some guests were given more attention than others, which can be tricky when there’s a wait. It was also funny to hear being asked for Google reviews by name, as it’s something I’ve never encountered before and felt a bit uncomfortable. While I understand the importance of feedback, it’s always best when it comes naturally. The hotel’s location was awesome, and nevertheless, I had a good stay and will come back again.

Great guestroom : large in size , comfortable bed & bedding / linens , nice kitchenette, very clean bathroom with toiletries. However the Housekeeper forgot to make up the room on our 2nd day even though I have already told them to make up the room . Yummy basic breakfast. Love to make our own waffles. Fresh fruits are served .

Such a great find in downtown Calgary! 💫 Stayed at Best Western Suites Downtown, and I’m honestly impressed — spacious room, perfect location, and the price was such a great deal for what you get. 🙌 But the real highlight? Diana at the front desk! She made us feel so welcome and went above and beyond to make our stay extra special 🥰. It’s that kind of service that makes you want to come back again and again.

I booked over the phone ( had a bit of issues, but eventually got everything sorted out) When I went to check in, I had the nicest young lady at the front desk help me. Her name is Diana and she was so sweet and helpful -she went above and beyond to make sure everything was going smoothly for me from what time breakfast was, that there was a Safeway a 3 minute walk away and letting me know where it was the safest place to park. I appreciated all of her help! Because of Diana I will definitely stay here again! She is an asset to the company! Furthermore- my room is absolutely amazing!

My experience at the hotel was highly disappointing. On my first night, the assigned room had a strong, unpleasant odor and lacked proper air circulation, as all the windows were locked. When I turned on the air conditioner, it emitted dust and a rusty smell. On the second night, I requested a room change due to the impact on my comfort and health. The new room smelled better and had a window that could be opened, but the heater was excessively noisy, forcing me to turn it off at night to sleep. The kettle in the new room was rusted inside. Despite assurances from the reception that it would be replaced, the replacement provided was still old and unsafe to use. Attempting to extend my stay for an additional eight nights revealed the biggest issue with service. The staff initially could not match my online booking rate, and when I requested assistance, the sales manager was delayed and appeared indifferent upon arrival. He spent time on the computer but handled the request carelessly, showing minimal concern for my needs or for ensuring a smooth reservation process. Although he eventually agreed to honor the online rate, he left the reception staff to finalize the reservation without clear instructions. As a result, the receptionist quoted a total way higher than my online booking, causing further confusion. I had to complete the reservation online myself and return to the reception for payment. Additionally, my last two 16-night reservations did not receive the promised rewards points. When I raised this issue, the reception simply provided a number to call to complain, rather than offering any proactive solution. Overall, the experience highlighted a lack of professionalism in handling reservations and ensuring customer satisfaction. The sales manager’s careless approach and the reception’s inability to manage the process properly left a very negative impression.

From the valet parking to the lovely hotel receptionists to the incredibly comfortable room, my experience staying with Le Germain was nothing short of wonderful. Beautiful hotel in a perfect location where everything is within walking distance. The room was very clean and surprisingly quiet. Only if the window is open can you hear the noise of outside, and the minute it is closed you’re encased in silence. Fantastic place to stay for a couple nights!

Surface level posh but lacks attention to the details. Considering location it’s fine for the price they charge. It has a veneer that feels like it desperately wants to be a swanky hotel in Asia but is run by North American corporate cheapness. Dim lighting abounds and the polish just isn’t really up to snuff. We booked a queen but the mattress was a double (we measured), and when we told the front desk they just said they can’t upgrade us to a king and then cast doubt on the standardized measurements we were referencing. The staff eventually apologized when we were checking out. The room had lots of cheap plastic switches (lights, toilet flush) that didn’t quite work smoothly and the bathroom doors were all loose. There was a non-functional laptop dock built into the desk and a mysterious Chromecast hiding half-disconnected behind the tv. The eye-wateringly expensive mini bar was stocked to the point that there was no fridge space for anything else. The bed was uncomfortably hard and, as previously mentioned, undersized. The shower plumbing was just loose enough to spray some extra water around while using the hand wand. And for some reason the outlet in the ironing cupboard was behind what seemed like a loosely hinged piece of spare lumber that juts outward a good foot when it’s in use. Overall we probably wouldn’t stay here again.

Thank you Le Germain for a wonderful stay. I had a bit of an issue with the heating in my room but they were quick to assist and help. Definitely the most beautiful hotel in Calgary. Rooms are all modern and renovated. The staff goes above and beyond to assist. The front desk is unbelievably kind. I will return. The signature kind room is the way to go and the Charcu reataurant has a great menu for dining or a late night cocktail at the bar.

Rooms itself was nice and spacious. Bed was on the harder side (not my cup of tea). There is in room coffee machine with pods. I have never been a fan of valet parking, even worse when it’s almost forced because there is no other option really. Then having to pay $50 on top. Truly not worth it. Just leaves a bitter taste in my mouth. Location is very central to many bars/restaurants. Likewise, because of this, there is a lot of traffic. The staff we encountered have been all nice. Room can use more bath towels. Most likely would not return due to the parking situation alone.

Loved my stay at the St. Germain Hotel in downtown Calgary. The room was clean, the bed super comfy, and the shower was amazing. I really liked the separate toilet layout, and the view of the Calgary Tower was a bonus. Only suggestion: consider adding a snack area like the Hilton next door. It would be helpful for late-night cravings or emergencies—especially for those with medical needs like low blood sugar. Would definitely stay again!

The hotel is absolutely fantastic! The rooms are large, clean and well laid out. The staff is friendly and offers wonderful advice. The restaurant food was perfect with attentive staff. I walked what felt like all of the city attractions safely and easily from the hotel. It's a great space for business or personal trips.

Just faced an exceptional customer service from Erica. I requested additional night at Calgary Le Germain, but the hotel was fully booked. Erica was so nice to put me to the wait list and to follow up my request. Today she called me back and told that she was able to extend my booking! That were amazing news that made me really happy! Thank you Erica!

This was a nice Hotel. The room was big , two TV's the bathroom was clean and reasonably modern. The bed was very comfortable and there was an additional pillow and a blanket available. Plenty of space, and a seating area too. A small fridge a microwave and one of those strange coffee machines .The decoration was a little tired though , the carpet was ruffled in the hall in some places. The staff were excellent throughout from reception to restaurant . Very polite and helpful. There was also tea and coffee available in reception and cookies. I saw the pool which looked OK but didn't use it or the spa or fitness room. My only observation would be that the breakfast was a bit of a bundle. Go early or late would be my advice as seating goes quickly. There were plenty of restaurant's in the area for other dining though. It's not in the town centre so you will need a car to get around.

The rooms are good, except the washbasin always clogs. The breakfast buffet is not great, especially the hot food. The omelets are hard, and the bacon is paper crisp. On the positive side, the housekeeping does a really good job, and I liked that the reception has tea and coffee available 24/7. The staff were friendly and welcoming, which is hard to find these days. They take the time to talk to you.

The Country Inn &Suites was one of the best hotel bargains I have ever experienced. Relatively inexpensive, but it was not only a bedroom, but there was a small living room as well. That was a wonderful surprise. Another surprise: the laundry was secure. Only one of our two room keys was able to reopen it. Front desk folks were efficient, knowledgeable, and helpful.

Couldn't program keys were waiting multiple times to get in room carpets in room were filthy. Bed was hard. Hot tub looked old and dirty. Continental breakfast was probably best part

I had a terrible experience at this hotel on October 6, 2025. The female receptionist working the night shift tried to charge me twice for the $100 deposit, even though the payment was clearly approved on the debit card machine. Before I paid, she grabbed my credit card and examined it closely from both sides, which made me feel she was trying to steal my card information. Later that night, I checked my bank statement and discovered an unauthorized $21 charge. When I called the front desk, the same receptionist asked me to come down again and tried to ask for another $100 deposit, claiming she hadn’t received the first one — even though both of us saw the transaction was approved and she had already given me the room key. When I calmly tried to explain, she became hostile and yelled at me, saying, “You can call the police.” So I did — and I told the police my bank statement is proof of the payment. The next day, the manager who acted in a respectful way confirmed that there was no issue and that the hotel had received my deposit. This clearly shows that the receptionist was either extremely unprofessional or attempting to scam guests. I immediately locked my credit card and checked out the next morning. I would never stay here again. If you care about your safety and your finances, avoid this place. By the way, the receptionist is not able to speak English well due to foreign accent.

Would have preferred more water pressure & a more up to date shower head in accessible room. Breakfast was great. All the staff was wonderful -- thank you George (you know what you did). Would book again and would definitely recommend.

Good value. Good location. Staff were fabulous. Comfy beds. Loved the coffee in the lobby. We had fun with the waterside/pool. Rooms are dated but could be fixed with a coat of paint and better lighting. (We had a suite on ground floor). We would stay here again.

Stayed here for two nights. Played "What's that Sound?" for most of the time. WoooWoooWoooWooo sound randomly all evening, and another one that sounded like an industrial fridge running, but only while trying to sleep. Very dated and dirty, the chairs honestly looked like they came from a frat house. Did a check for bedbugs after seeing the furniture. Must have been fumigated recently. Had an executive suite but no executive would stay in it. Asked three times for bath robes, nobody understood what a bath robe is. Decaf coffee in the lobby was cold. The high test was hot and pretty good Coffee table was so tippy I had to stuff jujubes under the legs. I didn't have tools with me. Never used the pool. Hotel pools are all gross. I pity the front desk people. That waterfall thing must drive them around the bend.

Comfortable, Convenient Stay at Four Points Calgary West I recently stayed at the Four Points by Sheraton Hotel & Suites Calgary West and had a very positive experience. The hotel is conveniently located for both business and leisure—easy access to major roads and a short drive to downtown Calgary and local attractions. Parking was straightforward and inexpensive, which is a big plus for road-trippers. Check-in was quick and the front-desk staff were friendly and professional. My suite was spacious, clean, and well-appointed with a comfortable bed, a separate seating area, and a practical workspace. The bathroom was modern and well-maintained. Housekeeping did a reliable job each day. The hotel’s amenities are solid for the price point: I appreciated the on-site fitness centre (adequate equipment and clean), indoor pool and hot tub (well-kept), and the lobby bar/restaurant which offered decent meals and convenient late-evening options. Complimentary Wi‑Fi was reliable for email, streaming, and video calls. Noise levels were reasonable my room felt quiet and had good blackout curtains for restful sleep. Service throughout the hotel was courteous and responsive; staff were helpful with local directions and recommendations. A few minor notes: breakfast options were fine but somewhat limited on busy mornings, and some decor in public areas could use a refresh to feel more contemporary. Overall, though, the hotel delivers strong value, comfort, and consistent service. Recommendation: Four Points Calgary West is a dependable choice for travelers wanting comfortable suites, good facilities, and a convenient location without a premium price. I would stay here again.

My family and I stayed at the Four Points Hotel in Calgary from August 1st to August 4th. Unfortunately, our check-in experience was unpleasant due to a receptionist who was rude and dismissive of our accent, even going so far as to ask who spoke the “best English.” This was very upsetting. However, when I raised the issue with the manager, Lorie, she was incredibly understanding, compassionate, and professional. She took the situation seriously, reassured us that racism is not tolerated, and made sure our stay was as comfortable as possible. She even sent a thoughtful basket of snacks and arranged breakfast for the next day, which meant a lot to us after such a difficult moment. While the initial experience was disappointing, I am deeply grateful for Lorie’s kindness and excellent customer service. She truly turned our stay around.

The cleanliness of the rooms were as expected, although the service could’ve been better. My family and I were checked in on the second floor right by the hotel management office. My kids and I could hear the vulgar language and inappropriate comments from a white woman who works at the hotel. Leaving this review, in hopes that higher ups of the hotel can handle people in the work space who act in such a way.

This place was great! The rooms were clean, the staff were friendly and very helpful, and the location is perfect for traveling around the area. Sachin and Nav were super sweet and gave us some amazing recommendations for stuff to do in the area and we ended up having an awesome vacation! The housekeepers kept our room super tidy and always made sure we had everything we needed. This is a great place to stay if you’re traveling in Calgary!

This hotel does not deserve 1 start. I stayed in this hotel for 3 nights. Only reason I booked this hotel that on their website it says including swimming pool and gym. There was no alert or update on the website that pool and gym is out of service. When I went for check-in my husband saw pool is under construction. I ask receptionist that we booked this hotel for the facility and it is not in service. Can you compensate us or find a room at another location. She replied my manager already update on website but she was not able to find that. We took a screenshot just to show the manager. Next morning I ask for manager but the receptionist preet who was pretty unprofessional and rude told me that manager is not here but we will give you a call. In three days we did not get any call from manager on top of it they did not even provide a bottle of water in the room. We ask for a water and receptionist replied let me check if we have water. Are they serious 😡. Our room AC was not working we called at reception. And lady said we are sending a technician. We did not get any service for AC too. Nobody called us and ask if everything fine or your AC is working now? What’s the meaning of paying that much if you guys will give the ridiculous service to your guests. And they don’t know how to solve guest’s problems. This was my first and last time visiting this hotel. Never gonna waste my money in this low class hotel. 👎🏻

We stayed here for two nights over the long weekend in August. This hotel is disgusting to say the least. The carpets feel greasy and you can smell the cigarette smoke from years previous. Needs some serious updating! The rooms also smell musty like there is mould in them. The worst thing is one of our beds smelled of urine to the point that we had to pull out the sofa bed that we don’t normally bother with as my littlest ends up in bed with us anyway. Even my 4 year old made the comment that the bed smelled like pee. We tried to look for a room elsewhere in Calgary but couldn’t for last minute for 5 people for 2 nights. Mentioned it to the front desk at checkout and they said the manger would contact me. Didn’t hear anything. The sad things is we paid the same to stay here as we did for a bigger cleaner room in the mountains 2 nights previous so not really cheap. Beds are also hard as rock. It was also really disappointing that there was no mention of the pool being out of service and the kids were very disappointed. They did offer for us to use a hotel pool 10 minutes away but dressing my kids at a hotel pool or loading them in the car wet does not sound appealing to me. All around a terrible experience and you couldn’t pay me enough to stay here again. I understand comfort inn are budget hotels but this is the worst one I have stayed in and the most expensive.

Had a really good stay here! The receptionist Hamada was amazing — super kind, patient, and always ready to help with anything I needed. She greeted everyone with such a positive attitude and made the check-in and check-out so smooth. You can tell she genuinely cares about the guests. Honestly, she’s one of the main reasons my stay was so enjoyable. Big thanks to Hamada for the great hospitality!

This hotel staff discriminated against me and my 2 administrated staff. House keeper thought i was a drug dealer because I am black and my 2 assistants were indigenous the staff made comments that they hookers. The front desk female called her boyfriend to have me beaten up and to intimidate me in the lobby. I was jumped by 8 guys in truck parking lot and i am emailing the general manager and he is ignoring me. He is treating me like i am garbage. I am a college instructor and i was hired to training 75 staff online and i need 2 administrative to help prepare for the training and after the training. The hotel banged on the door during the training and kept calling do not stay this place. Especially, if your indigenous or black they treat you based on the colour of your skin and i will be taking them to human rights im giving them the opportunity to make things right and apologize to me. Oh one more, i paid a $200 deposit i didnt even get it back. They charged me $14.00 for make up on a white wash cloth that we did not even use. They promise to give a room we went all the way to the bank and came back with the funds book the room and they gave away our room and kept our deposit. Don't stay at this hotel, please I am warning you. Emerald is way better. Ive stayed at Emerald and the treatment there was amazing. I wish emerald was not full that night. Dont stay here, its not safe at all.

On August 31st I booked the jacuzzi suite for myself and my partner for a special occasion. I called to let the front desk know we would be checking in late (after 9pm) when we arrived we were told they did not have a reservation in my name and they did not have that room available. I presented my confirmation and they discovered that my reservation had been checked into by a woman with the same name earlier in the day. We were then only offered a queen room that was very uncomfortable and our special occasion was ruined. The next day the only compensation I was offered was $17 off of my $178 room. Very poor customer service.

This was my first time staying at Comfort Inn & Suites after traveling from my home country. I stayed for two nights in room 306, and my experience was amazing. The front desk staff, Hamada (I’m pretty sure that’s the right name), was incredibly kind and sweet. I mentioned that I couldn’t take my medication without eating something first, and she kindly offered me some juice and yogurt, which helped a lot. Thank you so much for the wonderful hospitality. I will definitely be staying here again!

We stayed here for one night. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The hotel offers free shuttle to and from the airport, which was very handy. The free breakfast was very good.

We stayed here for 3 nights over August long weekend along with my in laws. Our kids had fun in the pool and the waterside was great. BUT we had several issues while there: 1. The parking lot has TINY stalls and only two handicapped stalls. We needed a handicapped spot and because there were only two stalls we were never able to get an appropriate space. This was a significant challenge. There was also broken glass in the parking lot from smashed windows. The stalls were so small that vehicles couldn't fit in properly and people had to take up more than one spot so less people ended up being able to park. 2. There are NO TOWELS. This was a problem in our room and in the pool. Three days in a row we had to go to the front desk to get pool towels so we could get our kids out of the pool. There were 4 people on our reservation and we only had 2 towels in our room. The first night, we asked for more towels and were given 2 pool towels instead of bathroom/shower sized towels. The second night, we again asked for more towels and were told we would have some right away. We called down to the front desk an hour later and asked where the towels were and they said they would be there soon. After two hours we finally gave up and went to sleep and dried off with hand towels after a shower. The next morning we stopped by the front desk and said we needed the correct amount of towels in our room when we returned that afternoon. We were assured that there would be 4 towels in our room when we returned. We came back 7 hours later, and there were NO towels in our room....no bath mat, face cloth, hand towels...nothing. We were incredibly frustrated at this point. We spent $300/night to stay there and had to beg for enough towels and had to shower with hand towels. My in laws had the same problem as well. No towels in their room and no bath mat or even a hand towel. I will say that overall the hotel was very clean. Our room was big and worked well for a bigger family. But the front desk staff were not helpful at all and the parking lot and lack of towels are enough for us to not stay here again and warn other people away. We spent $1000 staying here for 3 nights, and for that amount of money we shouldn't be begging for towels.

We stayed around the flights. Nice staff. You can arrange with them for transportation from the airport to the hotel and back. Standard rooms but clean and practical. Excellent breakfast that the kids enjoyed very much. The pool is great - especially the slide - an excellent activity with the kids. Free parking. We had to fly early in the morning and they prepared bags with breakfast to take - which was an excellent and noteworthy point.

Breakfast was good and the staff there was attentive. We stayed in a suite on the first floor and the room smelled off like it previously allowed smoking. The room was not very clean. I found several super long black hairs throughout the room. There was visible mildew growth in the shower and the jets in the bath were damaged. Everything you read about the towels at the hotel are true… see other reviews. There were no towels at the pool. I asked the front to bring some to the pool and 30 minutes later they didn’t arrive. I had to go out soaking wet to again plea for pool towels.

Did not enjoy our stay. Noisy and dirty pool. Huge crowds in the pool. Couldn't relax in the jacuzzi. Breakfast was awful. You have to go super early to get something decent.

Stayed here for one night and our stay is not at all good, the room was smelly not properly cleaned. The front desk lady was welcoming but when we entered the room it smelled bad. The shower is not working properly, the floor looks dirty. At the bottom of the table (near TV table) previous guest spill something it stinks and sticky cannot walk. One start because location was good. Few points nearby also breakfast is okey. Dining area is specious. Parking space is limited and not big enough to park your big sized SUV. The walls are very thin could hear from other room, not recommended. In the nearby area many other good options available.

This is a nice hotel with friendly staff. My kids enjoyed the pool (which is nicely sized for a hotel) and waterslide. Negatives is the hotel never seemed to have enough towels for everyone (it was at capacity the nights we stayed) and downtown is kind of far away, They also had a technical problem during our stay and couldn't provide us with two key cards.

Stayed here for a night and I would have to say I will likely not be coming back to this hotel anymore. Front desk staff were kind but my 6month old baby, husband and I hardly slept. This hotel has paper thin walls. The guests above us were stomping until mid night. I had to call the front desk twice and they were still making noise. Then came the slamming doors and people were leaving their rooms. This started at 4am. We took our baby to the pool for a little while and I noticed floaties in the pool. I could see it had a filter system so why were was there debris in the pool? The mini pool or hot tub was disgusting as well. It looked like someone had defacated in it, as there were brown chunks at the bottom and the water was slimy. I didn’t go in but I saw another women enter and she immediatley ran out and wiped herself off with a towel, screaming how disgusting it was. Rooms were fairly clean overall. This hotel is only good for a night stay to catch an early flight as it’s located by the airport. I wouldn’t recommend the pool area or staying here for more than one night really.

Been here a couple times now. The staff are great, and it's clean. The gym is small but has the basics. It's also quite close to downtown, which is convenient. That said, we're not sure we'll go back. The included breakfast is not of great quality, although there's a lot of choice. After a couple of mornings we went elsewhere for breakfast, even though we had to pay. Another weird thing is that a lot of the furniture in both the room and the breakfast area have sticky surfaces. I suspect it all needs to be replaced. Then there's the noise - the footsteps of the people above us woke us up at night.

This is the nicest best western I’ve ever stayed in in terms of the rooms. They are very modern and clean. Housekeeping staff is very attentive. Front desk staff is super accommodating and kind. Especially Dan. Dan is the man. He was very helpful over and over during our 2 day stay and always smiling and friendly. The other (morning) guy at the front desk was kind and helped us check in early which made us very happy. I would stay here again. Great for the price and close drive to downtown Calgary. Felt safe being next to a Toyota dealership. UPDATE: not a safe area! Someone stole my bike and completely cut up the bike rack getting it off my car. I was told there are no security cameras at the hotel parking lot so secure your valuables and take them inside with you or stay somewhere else.

Stayed one night with my husband to celebrate our 15th anniversary. Check-in was smooth, and the staff were friendly. The hotel was easy to find and conveniently located near everything. For those unfamiliar with Calgary, heading the other direction on MacLeod after leaving can seem tricky, but you can use the dealership’s parking lot next door to access the other side. Parking in front is limited, but there’s plenty around the back. Our room was spacious and lovely, with a king bed, sofa bed, good lighting, and the main highlight, a jacuzzi. It was clean overall, with only small imperfections like the bathroom counter pulling slightly from the wall. The bed was high but very comfortable, and the pillows were excellent. The duvet was warm but a little heavy for me. The jacuzzi was large, deep, and relaxing, with room for two. It was a bit awkward to get in and out of for someone short, and a quick guide for the controls would help. A few towels near the tub would also be nice. The shower was easy to step into, the toilet height was great, and the water pressure was decent. Breakfast was excellent, with lots of variety including yogurt, fruit, waffles, oatmeal, muffins, bagels, eggs, and sausage. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would happily stay again.

Room was spacious and clean. Front desk was helpful and friendly. Breakfast was good. I would say the price was reasonable for the value you got. Location was convenient for my purpose of visit. The only thing I could critique was the air conditioning firing on loudly every once in a while at night which disturbed my sleep off and on.

My husband and I have stayed here a couple of times. The rooms have all been updated. We had a jacuzzi room, unfortunately, so did the man above us. He sat quite late making it difficult to fall a sleep. He happened to also be a very heavy walker. They have an elevator and disabled parking close to the door. The beds are comfortable and they offer coffee and tea in the room. The staff were courteous and well groomed. This location is right on McLeod Trail, close to downtown. The Ctrain is right out back so if your room faces east, you'll hear them going back and forth... til the wee hours. Then they start again.

Great two night stopover on our way to Banff and Jasper, after hiking Glacier NP in the US. Very quiet and restful. Great beds and pillows. Full breakfast, pool and hot tub to soothe our weary feet. Large room with a sofa, lots of counterspace. We always try to stay at Best Westerns: you know what to expect in the rooms and facility offerings, great staff. Each BW has its own style and personality. We stayed at 3 different location during this trip. All five star! We've never been disappointed. My only poor experience I've had with a BW hotel thus far as a diamond select member. Did not have the room ready for a 2pm check in despite confirming by phone earlier. Room was standard. Good access to South Calgary.

Friendly staff, quiet hotel. Room was a good size, beds were soft but didn’t like the smaller square pillows. Bathroom was basic but fine & clean. Liked the double blinds that made the room dark. Did not use the pool or fitness room or laundry so can not comment on those. Never had to wait for an elevator, they were quick. The Continental breakfast was okay, the room is a bit small so if you go during prime time it could be crowed & loud. Food was constantly refilled before it got empty which was great, no having to wait. Basic food items: bagels/toast/english muffins, yogurt, fruit, eggs, sausage and bacon, hashbrowns (did not taste good), 4 juice options and coffee & tea. Overall great hotel, will stay there again.

This hotel was our last stop before heading back to Montreal after our Alaska cruise and our stay in Vancouver, Banff, and Jasper. We stayed for 2 nights and overall, we had a very pleasant stay. I wasn’t able to enjoy the pool—it was too crowded and too small. The breakfast was good, but the dining area was very busy. I had to sit with a stranger, and the food disappeared quickly. When they restocked, you had to be fast to get some. It was a shame that you couldn’t take food out… it would have helped avoid the crowded space. The room was nice, I didn’t hear much noise, and I slept well both nights. Overall, a good stay.

Nice, clean, quiet room. The breakfast in the morning was good. Hot tub was hot, and the waterslide was fast! The kids (and me too!) had a blast at the pool. The fitness center was clean and had a good selection of equipment to get a good workout in. I would definitely stay here again.

Do not book a room on first floor. Noisy due to swimming pool location. And pets are allowed on first floor. Beds were comfy. Clean room No bathroom fan so fogged up bathroom post shower. Breakfast not great.

A well kept hotel with great amenities (hot tub, pool, waterslide) nicely located near Deerfoot Trail & Barlow Trail, a really nice hot & cold breakfast buffet, friendly service and comfortable beds. Would definitely recommend this spot!

This was a great hotel. Rooms are spacious. Pool is small, especially with the waterslide. We were constantly getting splashed in the face from kids coming down, even though we were in the other side of the pool. Just a tip you need your card to access pool. I had left mine in our room. Staff made us a temporary one so we wouldn't have to fo back up, which I appreciated. We had rung down for extra pillow and blanket as we had 4 people in our room. Waited 15 mins on hold before going down to front desk. Breakfast has good, lots of variety. However their scrambled eggs were watery.

I booked through a third-party website, and despite 2 rooms being booked simultaneously, the prices were different. Rooms were dated and bathrooms don't have an exhaust fan that you can turn on. Even though I put the AC on the lowest setting, it ran inconsistently. There were a lot of people at breakfast, and there was only one staff member. She was having a hard time keeping up with the demand.

The room is quite modern and you can adjust the vibe in the room by changing the LED colour of the light under the bed. The size of the room is quite big as well. What I like most is their shower. For people like me who do not use bathtub at all, the shower cabinet is the best. Plus the shower has 3 different modes, rain forest mode, front jets and handheld shower head. It can definitely make your shower a very enjoyable experience. However, their towel is the worst that I ever found. You would expect to have soft bath towels but theirs are like sandpaper. You can tell that they do not put softener when washing their towels. Other than that, they deserve to have 4 stars. If your reservation comes with breakfast, they provide 6 choices for you to choose. Food ingredients are of good quality even though it is not the all you can eat type like the one at Holiday Inn Express.

Had a wonderful stay at Appluse hotel! The hotel seems brand new and it is so clean. Bedding of the room was extremely comfy and clean. Shower was amazing with three different options for the water. They supplied 2 loofahs which I never see at hotels and they were good quality. Two hot tubs are located on the roof which was a nice fun addition and it is open until 12 am for a late night soak to end your day. Only criticism is that the door to the hallway and the roof above are very thin so it did get quite noisy at times. Overall would stay again for a Calgary trip!

I really didn't like the hotel. I spent a long time choosing based on reviews. We had a nearly 30-hour flight and, of course, wanted to get some sleep before heading to the mountains in Banff. We were given a room on the top floor. There were machines on the roof that were constantly running, apparently for the pool, and kept making a loud hum. We asked to change our room, and they changed us to the last one left on the first floor. There was also humming, then it turned off, but the hotel staff were constantly making noise, and there was a room for cleaning staff nearby that was very loud, knocking and rattling. Unfortunately, we couldn't get a good night's sleep.

Great value, many amenities, and awesome breakfast! Our shuttle arrived a little late at the airport, though our driver was very friendly. The check-in was not long, and we were greeted by a hotel room with many amenities, such as a bathroom TV, LED bed lights, coffee station, and air conditioning. We were also given a complimentary voucher for breakfast at Tonic, as opposed to most hotels which only offer a breakfast bar. The pancakes with maple syrup were awesome and there were a variety of choices with the voucher, including a free coffee/tea or fountain drink for each person booked. The staff member was very friendly and told us some facts about the surrounding area. The only issue would be the location, which though close to the airport, is quite isolated from shops and restaurants, though the Tonic restaurant partially made up for it.

Very spacious comfortable room. Very convenient to the airport, (car rental and ground transportation), with free shuttles. The bar restaurant has good food and friendly service. On the top of the hotel is a lounge area with 2 hot tubs and extra towels. Robe and slippers were provided in the room. Small pet peeve of mine, no top sheet. The comforter was a bit too warm. Fly, stay, drive... Park, stay, fly... Great start and end to vacation.

In a pinch due to missed layover flight, and needed a place to stay. Despite having all their rooms booked, they took the time to call other nearby hotels and ensure we had a room for the night. Additionally, they provided us with a ride, free of charge, and overall their service was lovely!!! Most definitely would recommend them!

I spent four nights here. The location was ideal with lots of good restaurants nearby. The bed was very comfortable, and I slept very well. I especially loved the shower head with good water pressure. Overall, it was quiet, and my stay was very pleasant. I would stay here again.

After spending a few days in different hotels across Canada while travelling, The Westley was a breath of fresh air. It was very clean and in a convenient location. But above all else, the woman who checked us in Haleigh was beyond an absolute delight. She was so personable and kind, she made the check in experience fantastic, especially after a full day of travelling (give her a raise!). We will definitely be booking again when we come back to Calgary.

This hotel was a wonderful surprise! We booked it for an overnight after flying into Calgary and starting a tour in Banff the next day. It started with a beautiful swan and heart towel origami display on the bed and a note from the hotel, and sweets in honor of our wedding anniversary! The upgraded room was perfect! The Mexican tapas restaurant was an unexpected gem with the most hospitable waiter, Ryland. I would definitely go back!!!

The room itself is spacious and comfortable. Unfortunately, the rooms are not soundproof, which means that the very loud music from the hotel bar/restaurant can be heard late into the night. During our stay, a wedding took place, and having a room directly above it on the second floor was quite unpleasant. Parking in the underground garage is limited. If the garage is full, guests have to use the public parking lot next to the hotel, which is not covered and comes with an additional charge.

I’m very pleased with our stay in this hotel. Staff were amazing from the check in to the check out. The room was extremely clean and smelled so good. Breakfast was spot on. Super recommended for your stay in Calgary downtown.

Clearly they don’t care about service to people trying to book a room. Pricing online showed $180 a night went 10 and it was $500 a night. Left on hold with no answer for over half an hour until they hung up. Maybe try someplace else there’s plenty of hotels in the city. Edit: The business response of “please reach out to us via phoning us and providing more info super awesome” I enjoy having to justify the poor service I’ve received. No issues with the Hilton, I’ve stayed there a few times with no issue. Just this location in Calgary.

Very clean hotel! Room large, very clean and well furnished. Bed was very comfortable. High praise for the housekeeping. The hotel separates garbage (recycling) and uses proper crockery and cutlery for breakfast. This is very good for the environment.

We had an excellent stay at the Wingate by Wyndham in Calgary. The staff was very helpful at all times. Excellent job by the management team here. We were very pleased to see the same people that work at the Wingate when we were here 2 years ago. Keep up the excellent and friendly service you have provided your guests.

Awesome place, got a jacuzzi suit for me and my lady, staff was awesome. I needed a wine bottle opener and when I called the front desk to see if they have one, the lady offered right away to come up to our room, I said I can come down and she insisted to come up and to not bother myself with it. She was up within a few minutes. The continental breakfast was awesome, even had a pancake maker just had to press 1 button. Room was super clean, bed comfy, over all awesome experience.the Jacuzzi was great too

Large spacious double queen room. Updated with new tub and very clean. Quiet and not much traffic noise. Safe parking lot and seems like a safe neighborhood. Police station and fire station nearby, but not noisy. We stayed two nights and would stay here again.

A perfect example of a well run 3 star hotel. Slightly dated but extremely tidy and clean! Fantastic pool area/waterslide for the kids and a free continental Breakfast! You can tell the management is on site daily and looks after every detail. As a business owner I can tell it’s a well run establishment!

We stayed here on our vacation because of the location. It was a quick drive to many restaurants, shopping and the LRT station (which we took to get around Calgary). The hotel was nice and clean, with friendly staff and nice rooms. Highlights: - Clean rooms and comfortable beds - The storage above the toilet for towels was much appreciated! - Good continental breakfast - Even though there was busloads of people at the hotel it was quiet Low-lights: -The curtains in the rooms were terrible. They didn't close completely, so the morning light came right in - bring a sleep mask! - We had to leave a note for the staff to refill our hand soap since it was almost empty and not refilled during the first cleaning. This was disappointing. Side note: The marketing materials in the elevators for the Wingate Hotels show a continental breakfast with donuts. This got our kids excited but of course, it was not true. None of the Wingate hotels we have stayed at have offered donuts so maybe your marketing department needs a check on their choice of images.

We arrived tired from 5 hours on the road. The check-in was quick and painless. On our way to the room, Jonathan (the bartender) alerted us to the upcoming end to happy hour, so we dropped our luggage and hit the patio. The drinks and meal were terrific! The room is spacious and filled with many modern conveniences. Will definitely stay here again!!

Had a lovely stay at Hotel Arts Kensington! Staff was super friendly and made the check in and check out process extremely easy in comparison to other hotels I’ve stayed at. The Oxbow restaurant had some amazing food for dinner that my partner and I enjoyed, i definitely recommend the duck breast!! Our room was fantastic, clean, cozy and had that feeling of home! Thank you Hotel Arts Kensington!!

We just had an awesome staycation here. It had a super bizarre start to it, which created great disappointment which was later changed to absolute satisfaction with the way it was handled... The day before staying here, I went and dropped off a special bottle of Champagne (as a surprise for my husband for our anniversary) to be in our room upon arrival. It was a producer that we really like and a very special vintage (2008) which was the year we met (thank the Lord we met on such a great vintage year for Champagne, jajajajaja!!!). When we arrived to our beautiful room the next day, I was surprised and dismayed to see a bottle of non-vintage Billecart Salmon on the coffee table (we love this producer too, but the vintage aspect was the big deal). When I went to the front desk to discuss it, Colin was there and heard my story with confusion, not knowing the story or what had happened. We were just heading out for a walk so he said he would get to the bottom of it while we were gone. When we returned, Colin was aghast to have to tell us that there was a mix-up and our Champagne was put in the wrong room the night before and had been consumed by another couple. (I'm still waiting to see their review about the exceptional Champagne greeting them in their room!) He fully understood the importance of the bottle for us and was determined to make it right. While he offered us anything off of their menu, he knew there were no comparables and said he would go outbound and find us whatever bottle could make it up to us. We found another bottle that we love at a wine store at least 15 minutes away and he didn't hesitate to go out and get it for us. He truly went above and beyond to show care and exceptional customer service and it wasn't lost on us. Not only that, but every person involved in the mix-up went out of their way to find us, apologize and take accountability. We went to the restaurant in the late afternoon for (their excellent) happy hour - we had glasses of wine and oysters - and even there the server was aware and apologized. While we don't want to define our stay by that situation, we were just so very impressed by the level of accountability taken and the care to make things right. That's a sign of excellent business/customer service. We will absolutely not hesitate to recommend this hotel to others. Other than that, our room was lovely, with a little balcony overlooking Memorial Drive and the river. The king size bed was comfortable (the pillows are meatballs but I already know how fussy we are with pillows and we always bring our own - good thing!), great bath tub and good water pressure in the shower. The self-serve breakfast was nice too. An assortment of breads, croissants, fruit, some tasty egg bites, and yogurt and berry compote. The coffee may be good but since there in a Deville across the street (my fave Calgary coffee) hubs just went and got us some there. Unlike some of the other reviewers, we had zero issues with parking. There was underground availability and a super convenient elevator onto the main level. Top notch stay, service, and quality. Just landed from Denver. Stopped at the Kensington bar for happy hour. Filthy martini and their sweet potato hummus hit the spot! Best, however, was the exceptionally helpful recommendations from our server, Johnathan!! Where to go for dinner? Interesting things to do in the area the next day? He was exceptionally (yes, I’m using that word again) kind and thoughtful!! What a lovely first impression of Calgary!! Thank you!!

Great location on the Bow River with walkable dining, shops and sites to see. Delicious breakfast and lovely accommodations! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Almost a bnb vibe. Very responsive and helpful staff! Never made it, but there was a happy hour and restaurant open certain days/times.

We had high hopes for this stay. My husband and I were looking for a chill NYE so we booked this room for a night because it had the jacuzzi. We had the Queen room. Overall it was pleasant but likely won’t be coming back. We loved the amenities of the room, like fireplace, the jacuzzi, skylight and steam shower. It was clean and spacious. The price was right too. The reason it’s not a five star review is because of the following: - we could not get enough hot water to really use the jacuzzi with the jets. There was someone in the king room next door and so we were battling for the hot water our entire stay - not enough hot water for the steam shower - the jacuzzi jets were not clean. When we turned them on a bunch of stuff came out. The host said it was hardened water but it didn’t seem like it. Sounds like they don’t clean them enough - walls in the queen room are quite thin, you can hear everything - the chain in the toilet loosened and wouldn’t flush properly but we just fixed that ourselves We reported all of these to the host via text and didn’t get very compassionate responses. It was clear they were not going to help us. So if the above doesn’t bother you, it’s an excellent stay and I would highly recommend!

I do not recommend this BnB. From the start, the communication was bad. I was never able to speak to a person on the phone, only text. There is no reception at the BnB so there's no one to help with problems. When I got there, a couple traveling from the US couldn't get in the building because their phones did work in Canada so I offered to text the owner on their behalf. I told the owner to email these guests because I gave them access to the wifi on their iPad. In regards to the welcome booklet, the owner said, "I can send again... but maybe I'm not understanding how sending again will solve the issue." To me, a good host will contact their guests that are having issues just to make sure they are ok. This is terrible service. Then, the water was shut off at the end of our trip because of a pipe leak. We discovered it over night when the toilets wouldn't flush and the sink/shower didn't work. In the morning, we had no messages from the host, no signs out in the common area. We had to contact the host and then they told us what happened. This is ridiculous. If you have to shut off your water, you need to inform your guests immediately. What if we had had an emergency in the middle of the night and needed water? Once the host answered my text about the water issue, they told me there were free water bottles in the kitchen and passes to the local pool for the shower. The water bottles were there but the pool passes were nowhere to be found. On top of everything, the bed was extremely uncomfortable and moved every time you moved and made a loud squeaking sound and hit the wall. There was also a very loud family upstairs stomping around. Are these the owners? I have no idea. Were we in the same building the whole time? I have no idea. The only redeeming quality about this place is the view. I would definitely not stay here again. They need a receptionist on site and they need to let their guests speak to them on the phone.

This place was absolutely lovely and felt like they had thought of every little detail. Everything was clean, classy and cozy. The jacuzzi was lovely, bed was comfy and there was a nice assortment of little breakfast items/drinks available. The only confusing part was parking (it had snowed and the three spots were full.) I would love to spend another night there when we have the chance.

I'm staying here for the second year in a row! This time I was with a company of friends, we rented the whole house, and it was fabulous! The two rooms on the upper level have a huge jetted tub and shower, large comfortable beds with crisp white linens and towels! The three rooms on the lower level are smaller, but very cozy, each with its own fridge, TV, and bathroom. What more could you want? There's a spacious shared kitchen, pool table, fireplace, lounge area, hot tub and bbq! And an absolutely amazing view of the river! This place is magical, we will come back here again and again!😍

Room was really nice, you can tell they take pride in their offering and their service. The instructions for checkin and house rules were well written and reasonable. Location was good because it’s close and easy to get to the highway and we were able to walk to restaurants and shops. Would recommend! Thanks to Brooke and the staff.

Beautiful location right next to the bike trail. The river runs directly behind the house. You can sit outside and enjoy the water and sunshine. The rooms are great and the house is well maintained. We stayed in the largest suite. Very nicely decorated, roomy and comfortable with its own balcony. We would definitely stay here again.

My fiance and I went for a Valentine's getaway and it was amazing. The room was beautiful and cozy with a fireplace by the jacuzzi. The shower had a steam option that was great for my cold. There was snacks and lots of different varieties of tea and coffee. The overall experience was amazing.

We stayed 2 night here and it was lovely. Super beautiful home. It felt much more B&B style than a hotel. It’s a few rooms she rents out in her house. But they were super clean and nice. Perfect location if you want to be super close to the city but not in the city. The hosts were incredibly nice and helpful. She definitely wants to give her guests a good stay.

I just got married last weekend and my husband and I booked this place. Oddly enough it's a house I've always dreamed of seeing. It was beautiful and spacious just as I dreamed and they were very friendly, and welcoming to us. We didn't do much but decompress during such a busy time but we plan to revisit if ever we need to get away from everything. Thank you so much for making a special weekend quite for us! Also we are missing wedding items and might have left our blue Polaroid camera and some gifts there please let us know if they're found.

Our stay was very comfortable and left nothing to be desired. The rooms were clean and beautiful, breakfast was fresh, snacks, drinks, ice and water bottles were always available. We were made to feel welcome and at home, the hosts let us know that if we need anything we could let them know at any time. Great and central location !

My wife and I had to come to Calgary after our son was born. He needed to be air lifted and sent the the Calgary NICU. Westmount River Inn was so beautiful. The owners used to have a wood working company and by the beautiful wood details in the house you can definitely tell. Kim, the owner, made my wife the most amazing congee, her first real meal after giving birth. The room was clean, the bed was extremely comfortable and the house was nice and quite. 5 stars all around! Thank you Kim for taking care of my wife and we will definitely be back.

We stayed 2 nights in the "economy room" (August 11 & 12). The room is very spacious with a modern large bathroom/shower. The place is clean and comfortable. We were checked in by a person who was very friendly and helpful. The neighbourhood is great with nice local shops, cafes, and coffee shops within 500m. To get 4 or 5 stars from us they need to: paint the room, put a dressing mirror in the room, put a small fridge and small kettle in the room. A small desk and chair would be nice as well. The price was fair and overall we were very pleased with the accommodation, staff, and hosts. We would stay here again without hesitation.

I enjoyed my staying at the Westmount River Inn. The room is very clean, everything smells nice. It’s quiet and peaceful. The shower is nice and hot with additional shampoo, body wash, etc. I slept so well! The host is detail oriented and kind. She does more than what I expected. I highly recommend this place to stay when you visit Calgary.

What a wonderful place a nice relaxing getaway. I highly recommend. Beautiful B&B close to downtown Calgary, right along the River. Very comfortable beds. If your looking for a nice place to relax this is it. The shower is amazing. Will definitely have to book next time I am down this way.

The only people that made oir stay comfortable are the front desk especially Rikita , ana, atrov and victor they go far and beyond to satisfy clients, for the service it is so frustrating if ypu cant borrow a vaccuum when you are in a dnd because you need to rest , housekeepers says they dont have a vacuum which could be the reason why the hallway is too dirty no one is vacuumong it, you should atleast invest on the vacuum its badly needed. Houseperson says we are not allowed to vacuum our room but on our first week of our stay we ask for a a vacuum and he came and leave it with us, so confusing. Anyways i believe a lot of upgrade and education with regards to customers service and satisfaction and with regards to over all cleanliness the hotel is a good catch when it comes to location however if you dont clean it well and your staffs doesnt know how to attend to clients i believe you will start losing your clients.

I’ve been to this hotel a few times and the price is under $100 and what you get for your money is pretty good in terms of cleanness and comfort. The room, however, is slightly Outdated. That’s why I gave fewer stars for the room. Service was excellent. Very polite. My only complaint would be the cleaning staff and people in the hallways making extreme loud noises very late in the evening and in the morning. Especially for staff I believe it’s important for them to have more respect for those who are still in the room until Checkout. Maybe a good idea to have a meeting with staff and also posting indicating quiet for everyone after 10 PM and in the early morning. It almost sounded like there was a party in the hallway. Not good when others are trying to rest. Other than that, everything else was good.

I strongly do not recommend this hotel! Horrible experience — the furniture is old and broken, and the walls are dirty and damaged. Nothing like the photos online! On top of that, the front desk staff are rude and unprofessional; it feels like they have no interest in helping guests. I paid the same price for another hotel just nearby, which was much cleaner, modern, and comfortable. Honestly, this is a rip-off for the price. This place needs a full renovation before welcoming anyone. Avoid it at all costs!

The front desk staff were absolutely amazing!! After missing our flight by 3 minutes, the staff here were so accommodating and kind! As someone who travels regularly and stays in Calgary, I have found my new place to stay. Rooms are clean but just can't get over how amazing the staff is! Thank you for making what started out as a bad day a little better!

DO NOT BOOK HERE I booked an upgraded room specifically to avoid issues, but the experience was a complete disappointment. The fridge froze all of my groceries and takeout, ruining the food I had planned for the weekend. The room lock jammed, trapping me inside until I forced the door open, and later my key card stopped working entirely, locking me out. I reported all of this to staff, and their only solution was to send maintenance into my room while my wife and I were supposed to be enjoying our vacation. I made it clear that these problems should have been addressed before my stay, not while I was in the middle of it. Despite repeated assurances that a manager would contact me, no one ever followed up—neither during my stay, nor after I asked again at the desk before leaving, nor in the month since. This level of service is unacceptable. For the price of an upgraded room, I expected a smooth and comfortable stay, not ruined food, broken locks, and empty promises. I would strongly advise others to look elsewhere. I have never had such awful service. I stay in Calgary for work and pleasure frequently and will never be returning here.

Room 216 with balcony/ roof walk on. Please remove the poopy diaper outside. Mattresses were filthy. Stain on mattress to the left side. Underwear under the other mattress. Headboards were dusty. Other clients staying stated there were bed bugs, multiple people checked out. Bathroom had hair in the sink. Sludge in hot tub resulting in the hot tub being closed that day when over just a day-obviously no maintenance to pool area or even rooms. Please consider the lives of your guests who were likely tired and needed a nice place to stay. Even if your prices are low or high, the place should be maintained to a level of comfort and care in principle rule of hospitality. Additionally, will add the staff handled negative feedback very well and did not react-specifically Ukrainian/Russian female working. Manager that appeared white, round, and bald stated to one person staying with us “please do not say anything else, I will give you the full refund” because cops were in lobby due to them not wanting to give refunds to other clients. This experience has shown us how management affects the way a hotel can be ran. Please consider the guests willing to stay at your hotel next time you provide a room out to someone.

Despite the busy season in Calgary with the annual Stampede and an overlapping international event like the G7, we were fortunate to stay at this hotel. I highly recommend it for the comfort and hospitality we experienced, and we plan to stay here again during our next visit. Although the restaurant was undergoing renovation, the hotel went out of its way to provide special service for our group. While lunch and dinner were not available on-site, it was never an issue—there were numerous dining options within a 5-minute walk, offering a wide variety of choices. Most importantly, the management and staff truly understood our needs and went above and beyond to support our stay. Their professionalism and kindness stood out consistently throughout our visit. The hot spa, swimming pool, and jacuzzi were also wonderful ways to relax after a long day—definitely a memorable highlight. Highly recommended! The hotel is well-managed and efficiently organized.

Attended a wedding. The food was excellent. But it was way too much work figuring out what was gluten free. I was told items were gluten free but they weren't. I was told I was the only gluten free person at the venue, then the bride and groom said there were many. Other foods were labeled like meat, or eggs, dairy, or vegan. Gluten could easily have been displayed too. The servers were pleasant and kind when I kept asking about gluten free--- just not informed. Venue - also good, and parking was no problem.

Last weekend I stayed for 1 night at this location and left my wedding ring in the room .... about 2 hours after check out I noticed and immediately called the hotel. Patrick at the front desk was amazing. He said he would have housekeeping look and call me back in 15 minutes ... and in 15 minutes he called me back and they did find the ring in the room! I was relieved and very grateful for their prompt response and most importantly their honesty. It would have been easy to pocket the ring and cash in but they didn't. It was refreshing and restored my belief in people doing the right thing! Thanks to Patrick and the housekeeping team!

I had a wonderful experience at the Best Western Premier Calgary Plaza. The hotel is extremely clean, beautifully laid out, and well-maintained, with a professional yet friendly atmosphere. The staff were kind, helpful, and very accommodating, making the entire stay easy and enjoyable. The rooms are exceptional — spacious, comfortable, and spotless. I stayed in a King Suite with a jet tub, which was high quality and perfect for a relaxing stay. The beds were very comfortable, the linens crisp and clean, and the bathroom was modern and well-stocked with everything you could need. I especially appreciated the bidet built into the toilet, a rare and thoughtful touch. The room was well-stocked, with plenty of glassware, great lighting, and a calm, cozy atmosphere. Parking was convenient and plentiful, making it easy to come and go. The location is also excellent — just a short 15-minute drive to and from the airport, ideal for travelers who value convenience without sacrificing comfort. Overall, this is a fantastic hotel that delivers quality, comfort, and great service. I’ll definitely be staying here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Calgary — whether for business, family, or a romantic getaway.

It was a good stay, I thank the Indian receptionist in particular and all the receptionists. Unfortunately the restaurant lady was not friendly and did not answer questions but just went and did not return and the menu should include halal food which is suitable for Muslim visitors as well. I also thank the receptionists at the gate and the room cleaners who were wonderful and friendly. Everything else in the hotel was really great.

I stayed at the Best Western Premier in Calgary for a business convention and had an excellent experience. The hotel was very clean, safe, and beautifully maintained. My room was spacious, comfortable, and modern, which made it easy to relax after long meetings. The location is fantastic — close to plenty of restaurants and amenities, and there’s even a great restaurant right in the lobby with delicious food and a nice atmosphere. Overall, this is a beautiful hotel that I’d highly recommend for anyone visiting Calgary, whether for business or leisure.

Great hotel! Very clean, and accommodating and the employees were lovely. We did want to have a Netflix movie night but there was no option to view Netflix and only cable. Not the hotels fault though, I should have asked before booking. If you get a HDMI cable I believe you should connect to the TV though! Location is also lovely with great views. Room was clean. And breakfast was good from what I could tell as we went to go get brunch somewhere else. Being the only morning person in my group, it was nice to go walk around and head to eclipse coffee and the K Bakery while waiting for them to get up. We had one room for 5.

Stayed here was over charged even after I questioned the bill. Thankfully was refunded by emailing the head office. Yes the lobby area is beautiful. Was very disappointed with our room size we asked for 2 queens. Went and said they were not queens. Got 2 different answers one answer was no hotels have queens they are all doubles. We did not accept this answer. They offered a crib, i said i don't have any babies. They grabbed a manager she stated this room always got complaints of people thinking they aren't queens, she reassured us and offered to bring someone to measure the bed. Said they had no other rooms to switch us too.We denied as there was no point as it was very late and we weren't switching hotels as it was a long weekend unfortunately ans all other hotels were packed

I had a wonderful experience staying at Hotel Arts. From the moment I arrived, the staff were warm, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything I needed. The hotel itself is spotless — every area, from the lobby to the rooms, was exceptionally clean and well maintained. The amenities were excellent and made the stay even more enjoyable. Everything was thoughtfully provided, making it clear that the hotel puts a lot of effort into guest comfort and satisfaction. Overall, my stay was beyond expectations. If you’re looking for a clean, comfortable, and friendly place with great service and amenities, I highly recommend Hotel Arts. I’ll definitely be returning!

Gross. We have stayed several times over the years. It was pleasant. This last stay may be our last. The condition of the room was horrible. The upholstery on the bed was literally disintegrating. Woke up in night to have to pick it out of my hair. Hotel response was dismissive. Front desk, literally shrugged and said that they had had a busy summer so hadn't kept up with maintenance. Manager offered a one room upgrade on subsequent stay. That in no way makes up for a room that should never have been in the rotation to be rented out.

I stayed at Hotel Arts on 12th Avenue in Calgary. Check-in was smooth, and the reception staff were very helpful and welcoming. That said, I would rate the hotel more like a 3 to 3.5 star experience rather than a 4 star. The rooms and washrooms are clean but definitely in need of updating. Also, being charged $3 for a bottle of water after paying over $500 for the stay felt a little much. Overall, a decent stay with great service at the front desk, but the facilities and extras need improvement to match the price point.

My wife and I booked Hotel Arts for the weekend of our Anniversary in August. The idea of staying in the downtown area near numerous restaurants appealed to us. The real reason for staying there was the outdoor pool. We were looking forward to spending the day sitting in the sunshine sipping drinks and visiting. Unfortunately we couldn’t get in because we didn’t have a reservation. They eventually just squeezed us in at the bar. This worked out fine, but allowed us the opportunity to find out the majority of the people in there weren’t even staying at the hotel. They charge per head for people outside of the hotel to go into the pool. There was a 40th birthday party with about 20 people going on in there. I booked the hotel probably 6 weeks in advance. Days before I received notifications from them about “enhancements” I could get, but nothing about the necessity of making reservations in advance. There was only notice to reserve a spot once you’re checked in. I bumped into another fellow in the elevator who was having the same issues. He said his main purpose for staying at the hotel was to hang out in the pool. If you’re considering staying at this hotel for the purpose of hanging out at the pool, call and ensure you can reserve at the pool before booking the room, because once you’re booked they don’t care if the people staying there can get in or not. The a/c in our room wasn’t functioning the first night. We reported it to the front desk. Someone came in and worked on it, but it still wasn’t keeping up as well as it needed to the second night. Outside of this, the room was clean, nice hotel and location was exactly what we were looking for. Staff was friendly and I was impressed with how well they put up with some very drunk people.

Ron the doorman is absolutely fantastic! Always so friendly, helpful, and full of good energy. He goes out of his way to make everyone feel welcome—such a cheery guy who brightens your day every time you walk in.

Attended a work function at the hotel. It was a beautiful evening and the food was great (considering it was sit down table service - 3 courses for 200 people). Service was extremely good and underground parking (not included) was reasonably priced and convenient. I'd definitely recommend considering this venue for any group event.

First, normally this hotel is great. The guys that greeted us were so nice and helpful! The hotel itself is nothing special but decently priced and close enough to be able to walk to most places. However this last stay, we did not have a good check in experience. Upon booking we specifically asked if it was a problem for checking in to have two rooms booked under the same name…were told that would not be a problem. We got there prior to our friends but they wouldn’t let us check in! After sitting in their lobby for over an hour, & our friend having to excuse herself from an important meeting as she had to call them to let us check in. Ridiculous and maddening, but the worst part was how rude the girl at the desk was. Made us late for our plans and definitely put a sour taste in my mouth! Our room overlooked the deconstruction of a building across the street so we couldn’t use the deck due to the dust and the noise, but this isn’t the hotel’s fault.

If you want a functional hotel that’s reasonably clean , this is the place for you. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. The beds are very comfortable and the bathroom is adequate . I appreciated the washer and dryer that’s available for guests to use. That being said, the room was extremely dusty. The carpets weren’t clean and there was a ton of dust along the baseboards. The carpets should be removed and replaced by a tiled or vinyl floor. The shower wasn’t the cleanest along the base of the walls. It’s very much a three star hotel.

Wonderful stay! The room was absolutely spotless: clean, modern, and super comfortable. The hotel overall was beautiful and well maintained. Staff was really nice. Honestly, I don’t understand some of the harsher reviews I read beforehand. I was pleasantly surprised! The only downside: the two rooftop hot tubs are tiny and always crowded. We tried to use them, but there were just too many people. It would be amazing if the hotel implemented a reservation system? Maybe 30 to 60-minute time slots — so that guests could enjoy them without the hassle. You can also view a lot of planes that' talent off from the roof ! Nice! Aside from that, everything else was fantastic. I’d definitely stay here again!

I had a great stay at Acclaim Hotel it’s an excellent budget-friendly option. The free parking was convenient and located very close to the hotel, and breakfast was included, which was a nice bonus. The staff were extremely kind and thorough in explaining the check-in process, which made arrival smooth and welcoming. Our room had two queen beds, but unfortunately, it didn’t include a mini fridge, which would have been helpful. My main concern was the lack of soundproofing in the rooms. We could hear footsteps from the room above and even the sound of water running when someone used the shower upstairs. This did affect the overall comfort of the stay. I would also recommend that the cleaning staff pay closer attention to the bathroom shelving units, as ours were quite dusty. That said, the housekeeping team was otherwise very friendly and consistently asked if we needed anything. The complimentary water, tea, and coffee were appreciated touches that added to the overall value.

The hotel is exception. Room is very clean and bed is very comfortable. A skip away from the Calgary Airport but it is very quiet and don't even hear the airplanes taking or landing. Free parking, hot tub and laundry facility. Staff are friend and feel welcome. Had to book a room the last minute, the front desk staff Mani/Navi was exception, friendly and very helpful. Ensure my needs are met. I highly recommend this hotel and will be my choice in Calgary.

Because of multiple delays and layovers, we arrived at the hotel later than we expected so our stay was much shorter than we had planned, but staff here really went above and beyond for us when we arrived at 5AM. They were very accommodating and did their best to make sure our stay was comfortable and rejuvenating, without the staff here our vacation would have been off to a terrible start but they turned around our entire trip just by listening to our needs and taking good care of us. If I'm ever back in Calgary for a trip I will be staying here.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience at this hotel was incredibly disappointing. I booked two rooms for two nights, but due to a mistake on my end, it ended up as two separate reservations—one for each night. When I checked in, I clearly explained the situation to a staff member. I asked multiple times if everything was confirmed for two nights, and he reassured me that both rooms were set up correctly and fully paid for. However, the next day, I received a call from another staff member, telling me I had to check out immediately because they were “separate bookings.” I explained I can’t return at that point and had already confirmed and paid for two nights. She showed no understanding, only insisting that it was my responsibility to return, check out, and check back in again. When I returned to the hotel that night, another staff member simply said, “I don’t want to deal with this,” and dismissed me. I stayed calm and respectful the entire time, but I was met with unprofessionalism and zero accountability. Even if there was an internal mistake, a basic level of hospitality would have gone a long way. Instead, I was treated like I was at fault for not checking out on time. I don’t expect perfection, but I do expect professionalism—and sadly, this stay delivered neither.

I stayed at this property last Wednesday and had an incredible experience. The location was extremely convenient, and I was pleasantly upgraded to a room overlooking the tarmac. The look on my niece and nephews’ faces the next morning, watching planes come in right from the room, was priceless! I had dinner at the bar and breakfast the next morning both meals were better than expected and truly enjoyable. What really made this stay exceptional was Ron, the bellman. He was absolutely outstanding!! Professional, welcoming, and a true representation of the Marriott brand. From assisting me with valeting my car to remembering and addressing me by name throughout my stay, his service elevated the entire experience. I don’t write reviews often, but Ron’s hospitality and professionalism inspired me to share. Highly recommend this hotel!

Marriott has two properties at the Calgary airport (YYC) – Delta Calgary Airport Hotel is across the street from the terminal near Door 9, and Calgary Airport Marriott In-Terminal Hotel is near Door 13. Quark Expeditions launches polar expeditions that begin at Resolute Bay in Cornwallis Island in Nunavut, Canada. In September 2025 the expedition began at the Delta and was scheduled to return there at the end of the expedition. Weather conditions prevented the air charter from returning on the day scheduled, so Quark’s ground crew worked with Marriott’s team to secure lodging for the returning passengers as they arrived from Resolute. Through this collective effort Quark was able to book rooms for all of us at the In-Terminal Hotel, and every detail was well attended-to. Two Quark ground personnel were staffing a table with the room keys for the returning passengers, so it took less than 10 minutes for us to check in. It was about 9:30 pm when I checked in, so I headed right away to the Yakima Social Kitchen and Bar. I ordered the charred corn chowder ($14) along with a shot and a beer. (The restaurant is open daily from 6am - 12am.) The soup was out to me within 10 minutes and was piping hot, nicely seasoned, and perfect for a light meal that took the place of dinner. Once in, the room I was given was perfect. The room had a highly effective blackout curtain, zero single-use plastics, a smartly laid out bathroom, and a comfortable bed. My stay was too short to experience the amenities – like the oxygen spa, the pool and whirlpool, and the fitness center. But what I did experience was a good night’s rest. My thanks to both Quark’s ground crew and Marriott’s staff for accommodating us on short notice, in what I found to be an outstanding in-airport hotel.

Great quality hotel in a convenient location. The hotel is directly beside the Air Canada domestic gate, making it an ideal choice for those using AC. The lounge served a warm evening meal during our stay. The selection available for take away snacks and drinks is fairly limited in comparison to other lounges across the brand.

We had a great stay at the Marriott - it is literally in the terminal so easy to walk to an early morning flight. I want to commend amazing customer service by Jonathan who met us outside with a cart when we pulled up and helped us with our luggage - he was friendly and helpful, went above and beyond, and is a great asset to the hotel. We had a good meal at Yakima and ended with dessert in the M Club on the 7th floor. Our room overlooks the tarmac and it’s fun to see all the planes coming in and out. Overall an amazing stay!

This is the best place to be when traveling or moving to Calgary. Staff goes out of their way to service you. But to top it off is: Otto Yakima restaurant bartender, was always fast. Friendly and knew what I wanted. Beers or food. Extremely prompt, polite and just awesome. Since I'm moving here, I might just come back for a staycation after I buy a home. 20/10 here. Highly recommend.

A nice hotel, but unfortunately the bed in room 611 was no better than a cheap futon. The toilet kept running periodically overnight. For some reason, they thought a frosted door for the bathroom was a good idea...so when your spouse needs to use the washroom at night, the entire room lights up. Despite being a Bonvoy member, I was unable to access wifi without being prompted to pay 10 bucks per day. LTE works if you are close to the window.

Conveniently located in the airport and just a short walk from the arrival/departure areas. Stress free checkin and room was spacious, clean and service requests handled promptly. Higher cost than other area Marriott branded hotels but the convenience was well worth it.

I booked 3 rooms for a family trip. Very nice, large, clean modern rooms. Beds were comfortable. My room had a nice view of the river. Some areas that still need improvement, especially at the prices they charge. Rooms were still not ready for check in at 3pm, which is unacceptable. Big deposit of $100 per night, so could end up holding over $1,000 if multiple rooms for a few nights. The rooms aren't sound proof, so lots of night time traffic noise. Housekeeping schedule needs serious improvement as by 4pm rooms we still not made up. Shower gel bottle was empty, tissue box practically empty, only 1 black teabag and 1 normal coffee bag provided, they need to be more generous with the little things. The Elevator signage says Sauna on 3rd floor, but couldn't find anything, think they meant hottub.

The hotel feels newly renovated — the rooms are modern, spotless, and smell great. The bed is super comfortable, the towels are soft, and everything feels fresh and well-maintained. The amenities are fantastic: the gym has everything you could possibly need (and more), and the pool and hot tub are a good size and very relaxing. There’s even a sauna, which was a great bonus. The staff are outstanding — friendly, helpful, and professional throughout my stay. It’s not a high-end luxury hotel, but for the price, the quality is excellent. You really get great value here — comfortable, clean, and stylish without the premium price tag. The only minor downside is the surrounding area. Calgary’s downtown, especially to the east, can feel a bit sketchy with some homelessness and drug activity nearby. The hotel itself feels very safe, but I’d recommend walking on the west side of the building if you’re heading out.

Great stay. Beds are so comfortable. The staff were amazing. Even my interaction with the cleaning staff was great. Would happily recommend this hotel. Location is not the best though. It's right next to the fire station and the windows don't block noise as well as some other hotels. So you hear cars racing down the road and the fire trucks heading out. Still not enough to mark the hotel down on.

Great hotel, clean and good location. In general good value for money. The only downside is laundry service. It is far too expensive at $5/pair of socks, may not be suitable for long stay. I would also like to mention Vanessa, a waitress at Shoe and canoe who was svery lovely, and provided excellent service.

Highly disappointing experience with an unexpected $500 charge. We stayed at this hotel while traveling for our child’s sports tournament. Several other families from our city were also staying at the same hotel. Prior to our arrival, we were informed that there would be complimentary storage for equipment, which seemed like a great convenience for teams. However, upon arrival, we discovered that the “storage area” was actually located in the parkade. Equipment bags had to be stacked on top of one another, and there was no option for gear to dry out. Even more concerning, the fenced enclosure could easily be accessed by climbing over the top, making it neither secure nor practical. Given these conditions, we chose to keep our child’s equipment in our room. After returning home, we were shocked to find an unexpected $500 charge on our credit card. This charge was never mentioned at check-in, check-out, or at any point during our stay. When we contacted the hotel, we were told the fee was for “deep cleaning” due to a policy prohibiting sports equipment in guest rooms, a policy that was never disclosed in any booking information or communication. To make matters worse, the hotel charges only $100 for guests traveling with pets for any duration of stay, yet somehow justifies $500 for a piece of sports equipment. That comparison alone shows how unreasonable this fee is. If, as a conservative estimate, 20 rooms (families from our group) were charged the same $500 fee, that’s an additional $10,000 the hotel collected after the fact. This feels like an outright money grab and an extremely disappointing way to treat guests, especially families supporting local sports. After this experience, we will never stay at a Delta hotel again, and we will be advising others in our community to do the same.

Clean, reliable, and well-located near the river. Rooms are solid, and if you’ve got Platinum status, the Premium Pantry is a nice touch—snacks and drinks without the lounge hassle. Not flashy, but gets the job done. Easy pick for business stays or short visits.

Sport teams DO NOT STAY HERE! Our youth hockey team from Winnipeg stayed here on Thanksgiving long weekend for a hockey tournament. Along with our team, there were three other teams staying at this hotel. We were offered complimentary (not mandatory) storage for our hockey equipment. This turned out to be a fenced area in the parking garage. This was unacceptable, as it could easily be entered by climbing over the fence. It was also damp and smelly and more than likely has rodents. Hockey equipment is expensive and needs to be cared for properly to prevent damage from mildew. There was nowhere to hang out the gear and it could be easily stolen or vandalized. For those reasons we chose to keep the equipment in our room. We were NEVER told we could not do that. We were NEVER given any documentation regarding equipment and NEVER signed anything regarding equipment. NO other options were provided by the hotel. When I arrived home, I checked my Mastercard and noticed a separate charge for $500. I phoned the hotel and was told by the front desk that I would have to speak to Keshvi, the Events Manager. I have left her several messages, which she has not returned. Very unprofessional! I have since learned from other parents that Keshvi approved or decided to charge every room for all teams $500 for taking their equipment to their rooms. Not only are the players parents getting charged this fee, but so are coaches and other family members staying in different rooms. They have no equipment!! How can any charges be justified! This is a total cash grab and scam!!! I will be disputing the charge with Mastercard. How can a "reputable" hotel run their business this way?!? Management or corporate must step in and dismiss these charges and apologize for this poor treatment.

Total dump. My flight was very canceled and I couldn’t use the first night of my reservation. I contacted hotel to let them know my flight was canceled and reached out to see if there was anything they could do. I provided multiple options of solutions that would be amenable to me. They were completely unwilling to work with me in any way. Not exactly what I’ve come to expect from hundreds of bookings with Hilton over the years. Rooms were fine. Ours had a view of the public library and the hundreds of drug addicts congregating around the back of the hotel and the Salvation Army around the corner. It was about a 20 minute walk from the main downtown area.

The Hotel is modern, comfortable, and has all the amenities to make your stay relaxing. The lounge and restaurant serve great food and drink. If I had one note for anyone staying alone, is to be mindful of the neighborhood, as there is a large homeless population in the area. The hotel has security patrolling out front and they do a good job, making you feel secure and safe. Its a big city, they all unfortunately face a sizable homeless population. Be city smart and I recommend this Hotel, I will stay here again.

I usually stay at Marriotts but picked this place because it was close to the venue I needed to be at. Honestly, I regret it. First off, they don’t give you water bottles unless you have status. When I asked, the front desk tried to tell me it was some “City of Calgary” rule, which makes no sense because they still hand them out to guests with Hilton status. The next morning I went to take a hot shower around 8 a.m., and the water was barely warm. How does a hotel not have enough hot water for its guests in the morning? On top of that, the AC kept resetting in the middle of the night. I had to get up more than once just to turn it back on to my preferred temperature. The room itself was okay, but the bathtub had leftover body wash residue on it, which tells me it wasn’t properly cleaned. Overall, a really disappointing stay. I’ll stick with Marriott from now on. Please don’t bother replying to this with a canned message of how you are sorry and hope to one day have the opportunity to make it up to me. It’s all just fluff and no action.

Convenient location with access to popular attractions and public transit, but the area can be a bit rough. However, inside the hotel, you feel safely tucked away from all of that. Had a lovely stay with friendly and efficient service. We enjoyed the comfort of our room, as well as room service. Wish their bar stayed open later into the night.

Good size rooms. Service is very good. The complimentary breakfast is fine and unlimited. The restaurant served a decent evening meal too. Very helpful and knowledgeable front desk. Not much wardrobe space, no draws for underwear etc, and no safe, which was a concern. All in all though, a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

Wonderful front desk staff! Helpful, friendly, very personable. Also let me store my luggage for a week while I went to the mountains. And the food was amazing! We used their service for our conference reception. I also ate there a couple of times - recommend the crab cakes!

Oh boy.... Check in was simple n easy but....more on that later Room was okay but the mattress was rock hard 😭 think the floor was softer. Shower door didn't close all da kweh so water kept getting everywhere. Hot tub was nice wasn't expecting the pool to be salt water hair ruined and either pool or hot tub gave kitty a rash. Woke up early excited fur breakfast went down and was told we don't get breakfast as we asked fur points at check in....what? No kitty not a member why would want points?? Give breakfast. So no breakfast parking across the road was $15/night talked to a friend whom stayed a week before and they were giving a code for $6 parking per night at check in....where was Kitty's code? Why wasn't kitty asked about points or breakfast? Was not happy -_- And the homeless surrounding the hotel definitely felt safe and didn't wake up each morning scared they broke into her car. Was so happy to finally check out. Now please stop emailing asking fur a fluffing review! 6 emails for please rate us? -_-

Great location, very accommodating, fair pricing, laundry facility and very clean rooms. Liked · This place is in a great location with a super well-lit parking lot. The lobby is a spacious and inviting area with a cozy spot to watch TV. The staff at the front counter were really friendly and professional, and everything looked neat and tidy. My wife was thrilled to learn that they have laundry facilities on-site, with coin-operated machines. The swimming pool may be a bit small, but it’s still fun and the hot tub works great. They were happy to accommodate our request for two rooms side by side, and it was no problem at all. Rooms being on the second floor it was great the know they had elevators to make taking things up easier. The rooms were very clean, with plenty of storage space for our belongings and all the necessary amenities. The furniture looked brand new and in good condition, and the bathrooms were also very clean and spacious. The shower and tub were spotless from top to bottom, and the towels were super clean too. Disliked · I found the room we stayed in to be on the high humid side. Though the bedding and blankets were very clean, I can feel the humidity affected them. The biggest bummer was that we didn’t get any breakfast except for coffee and a granola bar. The fruit on the side didn’t look very fresh, and an apple was bruised from something heavy placed on top of it. They said we could go to the Denny’s on the property, but considering how much we paid, it would have been nice to at least get a discount coupon for breakfast during our stay. So, we decided to have breakfast at McDonald’s instead to stay within our budget.

The staff here are wonderful. And the room was very clean. The unending list of Minor inconveniences is exhausting. I have had to throw out food 2 days in a row because the mini fridge acts as a freezer. The toilet only properly flushes one out of every four times. None of the clocks are set to the right time and the alarm clock goes off at random times in the middle of the night repeatedly. The TV guide on the TVs doesn't work and you can't connect your device to the TV because they're on two separate Wi-Fi networks. There are no coasters to put your drinks on. The Jets in the whirlpool don't seem to work and the temperature is not quite at 100° so it's more like a tepid bath. All that being said, the hotel is very clean. And incredibly quiet,- even on the first floor. The staff have all been very friendly and accommodating. If it weren't for the minor inconveniences this is a place I would happily stay regularly unfortunately I don't want to come home from a 10-hour day of work and I have to fight with little things everywhere in my room.

Enjoyed a nice stay across from the pool. While the pool didn't have a waterslide, it was big enough to have fun with the kids. The hot tub was very nice and deep, good temperature too. The manager was very nice to have offered us a room upgrade which we gladly accepted for more privacy! Will stay here again.

We stayed here for what was originally going to be one night, because the employee said they were fully booked the following night, so we were prepared to find another hotel. I went and asked one of the employees, named Morgan if she could do anything to help us extend our stay. She offered a 1pm check out to accommodate was which was so nice!! She was so friendly and professional and that's just what I was looking for during a difficult time for my family and i. In the end we ended up staying another night and I didn't get her name but she too was also very helpful. She was some sort of guest services manager. We literally didn't have to wait for anything, we even asked for towels and they came up to us within minutes. Anyways, you get what you pay for when staying at a 3-4 star hotel, what's hard to find these days is kindness and great costumer service... and we found that at the sandman. we throughly enjoyed our stay.

I started with this chain 6 months ago and have stayed in numerous different properties. I believe I am at 5 already in six months. This is the 2nd property in Calgary and in my opinion a much better property. If flying way less convenient. This hotel is tucked away in a neat shopping district. Plenty of options for food and shopping As for the hotel itself, it's the standard setup, but for some reason way quieter. There were 4 hockey teams plus volleyball yet didn't hear a word. The beds are comfortable and the staff genuine, smiling and nice. If I were coming back to Calgary this is where I would stay

Great room with a kitchen, king bedroom and pull out couch. Very clean and comfortable beds. Coffee station with snacks and water available each morning. Mercy, a staff member helped find missing items from our room that was left behind. We are the annoying guests that lose our room keys, and front desk staff were kind every time we asked!

Pretty good! They don't have breakfast every day, but it was still nice to have a voucher to use at the participating nearby restaurants including Moxies and Denny's. Service is good, and there are 3 elevators which is great. Close to Quarry Park where a lot of people work 😁

Hotel is basically located in an industrial/developing area. Can't walk to anything. It's next to highway so a bit noisy if the room face the highway. May be ask for a room not facing highway. Room is clean. Included breakfast is simple.

My spouse and I stayed at Comfort Inn Suites Airport North and was incredibly disappointed. The room was disgusting. There was a foul odor, which smelled like urine, as soon as I walked in. The walls were covered in scuff marks and stains, and the bed was poorly made. To make things worse, the linens had yellow stains, which I can only assume were from previous guests. The bathroom was no better—there were visible stains inside the toilet bowl, which is completely unacceptable. It’s clear that this hotel has not been properly maintained. I couldn’t even stay comfortably. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, especially given the state of the rooms.

With regard to the free hot breakfast, the tables were not wiped down between patrons. I complained about this same issue a year ago and it seems that nothing has changed... Customers should not have to deal with the remnants of other people's breakfasts - it's not sanitary. I will be staying at a different hotel in future because of this.

The room was clean and comfortable, breakfast was yummy every morning. But there is an old coin laundry in the hotel without coins. Sorry, this is a reason for 8/10. Wish the owner would replace washing and drying machines with the new ones, so tourists could use the credit cards.

We have frequented this hotel so many times now! The staff are lovely and the rooms are comfortable! The breakfast could use an update though. They have like 2 hot food options other than the breads and yogurts, and it's the same breakfast every single day

Clean hotel. Super friendly staff. Lovely breakfast. We came from south of Calgary to give friends grandson a pool day and a bit of a break because of so much downtime due to teachers strike. We had a marvelous time.

After booking a room with 2 queen beds I arrived to a room with a king bed and a pullout couch, making my travel partner having to sleep on a lumpy uncomfortable pullout bed. The bed sheets did not even seem as though they had even been washed, stained and with long black hairs in-between the sheets. And ALL night and into the morning we got to listen to lovely bass music being blasted in another room. I want a refund.

We had a missed flight on WestJet. We were offered a hotel voucher and we chose the Hilton Garden Inn. When we contacted them for the shuttle, they said it was 10 minutes from the airport and we waited 40 minutes for the shuttle to come and pick us up. We got to the hotel just before the restaurant closed and ordered dinner which was not great (see pics). The burger looked like it had been microwaved. The salad looked like somebody had cooked it as the lettuce was wilted like cooked spinach. Unfortunately the kitchen was closing so there's nothing we could do about it. On the way up to the room, we asked the front desk about booking the shuttle for the morning. We were happy to hear that it leaves on the hour every hour and as our flight leaves at 8:00 so we chose the 6:00 a.m. option and went to our room. Our room The room was clean, the shower worked well and the bed was great. Although as the evening went on, we noticed that the temperature was 26 and the air conditioning wasn't working. We opened the window and it was still roasting in there all night. We were up at 5. :00 downstairs at 6:45 and waiting for the shuttle. It was at 6:10 were advised that the shuttle driver did not show up for his shift. There were five otherpeople waiting outside for the shuttle as well. Eventually we asked the front desk when the shuttle was leaving and he looked very confused and flipped through a book for a little while and then eventually called us taxis. We didn't end up leaving until 6:20 and barely made our flight and it was just an unnecessarily unpleasant experience. Those are basic hotel amenities, temperature control and shuttle timing, especially for an airport hotel. Unfortunately, it made for an unnecessarily rushed morning to catch our flight.

Comfortable and very close to the airport. We enjoyed watching the airplanes. Our room had very nice linens, a coffee maker, microwave and refrigerator, plus a desk/table and 2 chairs and a suitcase stand! Super clean too. The bathroom is older style tub with shower curtain but fine and the furniture was nice. Very nice staff and dependable shuttle service to the airport. Pretty lobby with restaurant service and a tiny bar. We thought the food was not the best and over priced. There is a big, sunny indoor pool and a hot tub with jets. The grounds could use some gardening. All the flower pots and planters and bedding areas around the building under the trees etc were noticeably bare. For a city vibrant with flowers in summer, it was striking. Fitness room was very nice! Overall a very nice hotel. We'd stay there again.

Honestly the only reason I'm giving three stars is because of how exceptional the staff was at this location. Check in representative was extremely professional and efficient at fixing issues and the shuttle driver that took us to the airport carried all of our luggage at 3 in the morning. We only stayed at this location for one night as we had a early flight the next morning. The first room we were checked in, the AC thermostat was falling off the wall, as a result, the ac couldn't be controlled or worked. When we tried calling from the phone, the phone was also having issues. In the end, we were switched out to another room on the 5th floor. Upon entering the elevator, the button for the 5th floor was also not working. So we had to step out to wait for the other elevator to get to our floor. Inside the elevator, there is a sign that says "do not jump as the elevator can shut down". I am usually not the type to write bad reviews but this Hilton needs a serious remodeling. It feels old, antique and as you can see from my prior statements, half of the things aren't working. I didn't expect it to be luxurious but for Hilton quality, it is way below their standard of quality. The bed and the bathroom were clean which is a plus but I couldn't wait to check out. I will not be staying in this location again.

Great location, and loved the pool. It was quiet and the hottub was nice to relax in. Nice sized pool too so even if busy it would be good. The hotel room was great to be able to watch the planes, and nice sized. The view beside the hotel was not the best but good if on an upper floor. The staff was not the greatest, a bit less nice and seemed busy or overworked. Still would stay here again for the rooms and location.

My flight was cancled four days ago, and the airline gave me this hotel as a reimbursement for the cancellation. I got to the hotel at 00:30 AM, the shuttle comes every hours which was too long. I have my cellphone which was Iphone 15, and there is no plug or USBC connection in the room that matches my charger wire, then I asked reception to get an adapter to plug my phone. The Reception was so reluctant to search for me, and my phone was almost dead, I needed my phone to get to the next flight in early morning. After too much argument, he gave me the adaptor only for one hour at 1:30 am then I was so tired fell asleep on the bed, the receptionist called me at 2:30 Am in my room phone to get his charger back! I jumped up and my heart rate went up, felt so shaky. What a shame that Hilton hotel has 0% of customer service. I’ve never had this experience in any other hotels. The rooms are so old fashioned with super old equipment. Not recommended at all

I want to start off this review saying that the two stars was because of how nice, kind and helpful all the staff at this location was. If it wasn’t for them, this review would have been 1 star. My husband and I booked this hotel (direct on their website) for a couple nights, and we cut our stay to one single night. We selected this hotel for the pool and that’s this hotel offered a breakfast buffet instead of a continental breakfast, so we splurged a little (our mistake). Upon checking in, the amount we had to pay was a lot more than what was on my confirmation. This was even outside of the incidental hold, which is never a problem. Why? Because this brand of hotels does not disclose all the fees, and their website has incorrect information. In addition, we paid for the breakfast buffet, but we were told it was a la cart upon arrival. Now, being picky eaters, we would have never paid for breakfast until we saw a menu. So after seeing the menu while dining at the onsite restaurant, we both decided we wouldn’t be able to enjoy a meal there. Speaking of the onsite restaurant, we don’t typically eat onsite, but after driving for hours we decided to stay in. So we ordered the potato skins, and both flatbread options. They had no flavour and was extremely bland, and my husband said the caramelized onions had no taste. Our server was amazing though, he was extremely kind and thoughtful while we were there. We didn’t want to bother him with our complaints as we were just too tired from our day. Oh, the kitchen is also slow because it’s not a full kitchen, so also be prepared to wait. But for our food, waters, and tip it was close to $70 and honestly, I wished we just ordered in Little Caesar’s… at least that food has flavour, and we would have saved some money. We also did use the pool/ hot tub, which was good. The pool had 5’ at the deepest point, and was large for everyone to enjoy. The hot tub could have had a bit more water for the jets to run properly, but that’s minor. I did enjoy the pool, so that was positive. Now for the room. It was large, but just ok. The towels were extremely scratchy, and the tub was weird. Like there was a narrow spot down the middle that collected water, and you couldn’t stand like normal to shower. It was uncomfortable, but the shower had good pressure and can get really hot. In the night my husband and I started fighting over the covers on the bed, and we decided to split them, with him taking the top “blanket.” It was weird, scratchy, and looked almost like a mattress cover after he separated it. So we both didn’t have a great sleep (which is partially us, and partially the covers). Also, the toilet paper felt like 1ply, but I thought the hand soap + shower gel was decent. They didn’t dry out our skin, but the toilet paper was terrible. Gas station bathrooms have better quality toilet paper, and you don’t even have to pay to access it. At the cost per night here, you’d expect better toilet paper and linens. This had probably been the worst hotel stay I’ve ever had, and I refuse to book here again. Inaccurate information + things being uncomfortable, wasn’t exactly how we planned things. To anyone reading this thinking you’ll have a better experience compared to other hotels, try the holiday inn or best western. I always recommend those chains, and I’m forever going to stick to what I know is better. So needless to say, while we were eating dinner, I asked the front desk to modify our reservation to check out in the morning. We were going to book elsewhere, but after going to the room, and getting frustrated there too, we cancelled the rest of our vacation. This morning we were going to enjoy the breakfast buffet, and drive to Banff to celebrate my 40th birthday. Instead we checked out before 7:30am and drove back home to Edmonton. Paying $310 for a stay we didn’t enjoy is a lesson we will remember. Expensive doesn’t mean better, and to stick to Best Westerns or Holiday Inns. We will save money, and have a guaranteed better stay.

Rooms are cleaned every second day so if you need anything you have to ask otherwise the hotel was clean and very close to restaurants and shopping. Definitely would recommend this hotel.

Be careful with the star ratings here. We specifically came because of the 5-star hype. The restaurant advertises that you get a small taco if you leave a review. However, you must give a 5- star rating to get the free taco. In my eyes, overall it's a solid 4 out of 5.

I stopped by StrEAT in downtown Calgary briefly for their Baja Fish Taco. The flavour and value were good so I’d give it 8.5/10

My family and I were hungry looking for food around the area and we founded this place. Service and food were great! I’d definitely come back for it. We ordered tacos, bowls and burritos.

Good music, nice shop, and great food! I got the gochujang chicken taco and black cherry soda. Pricing is especially good on Thursday.

Great Tacos, awesome grilled Halloumi Sandwich, great Poutine. We really enjoyed our Dinner there. Thumbs up.

Oliver was amazing, service was quick, and the tacos were yummy…made a dirty soda but the poutine probably would get something else next time.

We stayed for two nights at the Days Inn by Wyndham Calgary North Balzac with our two boys (ages 11 and 6), and overall had a wonderful experience! Staff: The staff at this hotel are truly 10/10. Everyone we interacted with was kind, generous, and genuinely seemed happy to be there. Their warmth really stood out and made our stay so much more enjoyable. Room: Our room was spacious, clean, and modern. The only downside was that the AC was a bit loud, and we could hear doors slamming throughout the night, but otherwise we were very comfortable. Breakfast: The continental breakfast was fantastic! My husband has celiac disease, and it’s rare for him to have a full breakfast at a hotel but here, he could. The staff member working that morning was so accommodating and kind. She went through ingredient lists with him to make sure items were gluten-free and even offered gluten-free bread. Such a thoughtful touch! Pool area: Our kids loved the pool and waterslide, but the area could use a bit of extra care. The hot tub is quite small (fits about three people), and we noticed some visible grime around the pool edges, murky water, and rusted bathroom doors that were tricky for the kids to open and close. The hot tub was closed one evening during our stay, and the entire pool area was out of order on our checkout day, which was a bit disappointing. Overall: We really enjoyed our stay, friendly staff, great breakfast, and a comfortable room. The pool area just needs a bit more general maintenance and cleaning to match the rest of the hotel’s high standards.

I was very impressed with my recent stay. The hotel was clean, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the room was spacious with a comfortable king-sized bed and a generously sized bathroom. We also had a fun time at the pool. The convenient location near Cross Iron Mills and Costco, with easy access to Calgary, was a plus. Considering the reasonable rate, I felt the experience exceeded expectations for a 2-star hotel; I'd easily rate it higher. I would stay here again without question, and a Days Inn hotel anywhere else if they are of the same quality.

We booked a birthday party here, which included a meeting room and 1 hour of swim time at the pool. It was wonderful, the pool has a slide, swimming area, shallow pool area, and hot tub. All the kids and adults had a blast. The meeting room was clean, includes a fridge and two TVs, which we hooked up Nintendo switch too. I would highly recommend booking a kid's birthday party here. The service for reserving and arriving was great, we felt very welcome. We didn't stay the night, so cannot comment on the rooms.

We had a wonderful stay at Days Inn Balzac a few weeks ago. Rooms are clean and comfortable. My daughter left a special stuffed toy and half way back to Edmonton she realized it had been left in the room. We called back after leaving hours earlier and the housekeeping had set it aside for us when we called the front desk. So grateful for the wonderful staff! I definitely recommend :)

Stayed 3 nights and had a great experience. The location is super convenient, only about a 5-minute drive to CrossIron Mills Mall. Rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-kept. Staff were friendly and check-in was smooth. Would definitely stay here again.

I stayed at the Days Inn by Wyndham Balzac, Calgary, from September 29 to September 30, 2025, and unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. Upon check-in, I found a lot of hair on the bed, which was very unhygienic. I immediately informed the front desk, but no one responded the entire night. Additionally, the AC fan was extremely noisy, making it difficult to get any sleep. I reported these issues again at 8:30 a.m. the next morning, but still did not receive a proper response or apology. For a well-known brand like Wyndham, I expected better cleanliness, room maintenance, and customer service. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and ensures better housekeeping standards and timely guest support in the future.

Had a great experience staying here. 5 stars for staff Loveleen and Gia. They were both very friendly and accommodating to our needs. Rooms are good, newly renovated. Pool area needs a little bit of maintenance otherwise it's a fun place for kids and family. Highly recommend this place for it's value, staff and location for people wanting to stay close to the airport.

Great hospitality service, clean rooms and great overall hotel for comfort. Love the personalized notes left by staff members for hotel members and also the option of a soft or firm pillow. The gym has just enough equipment for any workout. Rooms were clean. They offer dove amenities. Good experience overall and good location.
