We came on such a busy night so we didn’t have a server for the first 5-10 minutes but after that, everything came out so fast that we couldn’t keep up! We couldn’t fault them for how busy it was as the rest of the staff took care of us and the food was so good. My fave pizza was the feature pizza (Spicy Chicken Bacon Ranch) and would definitely come back to try out the other features !!

UNA pizza + wine Calgary just has to be visited when your name is Una! It is a popular Italian restaurant on 17th Avenue. I choose to have the kale Cesar salad for one while my hubby had his carnivore filled pizza. We both enjoyed our meals. He had a couple of cans of the UNA larger and he liked them. I had some red tempreniilo which was good. Service was efficient and speedy.

Celebrated my pup's 5th bday here! We chose to dine here because of the patio but food and servers were amaaaaaaazing!! 🤩 Very accommodating and friendly. We really enjoyed our stay including our pup. Thanks to all the wonderful servers earlier. Sorry we didn't get your names.

So happy with the experience we had here. The staff was so nice and friendly. Food came out quick, everything was delicious. Garlic bread was fresh and amazing!!! And for dessert we ordered the dulce de leche one and omg it tasted sooo good! 100% recommended!

Una is one of my favorite pizza places in Calgary. However, one of my absolute favorite dish there is the arancini, they’re the best! I just wish the portion was bigger. Hahahaha Yesterday, we were served by Caio, who is such a lively, friendly, and welcoming person. His service made me feel right at home. Una Pizza, you have a great professional on your team!

YUMMY! Got Spicy and Sweet Prosciutto (up) and The Local (bottom). Both were yummy but the local was overall sweet while Spicy and Sweet Prosciutto was sweet and a little spicy. More fun in flavour!

A Calgary classic! Always recommend going mid-day so you’re guaranteed a nice table. Una is a consistent experience, with great service, reliably delicious food and great specials. The arancini is always a must, and if you’re getting two pizzas, one with greens and one without is always a good bet. Our favourite combo is the mushroom, then the sweet and spicy prosciutto, but really, we’ve had them all at this point and they all slap.

It is our third time to visit this pizza shop just because the pizza is SO GOOD and the price is also appealing in Happy Hour time. We tried the bison meat pizza and spinach pizza, both are very fresh, juicy, generously seasoned and tasty. You can enjoy the chief make the pizza dough and put them into the oven. It’s just fresh and super chewy! Definitely it’s my favorite pizzeria in Calgary so far.

What an amazing experience! From the food to our interactions with the staff (special shoutout to Tatyana, Nathan, and Dan!), Posto gets 5 stars all around. We had made a reservation for my partners birthday, and had to move it back last minute due to a long work day. They accommodated us no problem, and when we arrived a little early for the new reservation, they sat us at the bar as they prepared our table. We had a great conversation with Dan as he crafted up some delicious drinks, and as we sat there we had multiple staff apologize for the delay even though WE were the ones who had to switch the original reservation time. Once we were seated, the pizzas came fast and were the best we’ve ever had (highly recommend the #9). Our servers were a delight - Tatyana was hilarious & bubbly, and Nathan was friendly and attentive. Despite it being busy, they were on the ball at all times. This place is a gem, the food is to die for, and the people working there make it an awesome experience from start to finish. Thank you all again for making a birthday evening so special and delicious.. now time to go eat some more of the incredible dessert we got to take home!

Sweet spot! I had meant to try a different resto in the area but stumbled across this establishment by chance - Zero regrets! Super friendly staff and a healthy selection of pizza with many unique combinations. The place is clean and has a cozy vibe. Worth a try!

Pizza #3 was absolutely perfect if you love spinach! Pizza #5 was also great with a creamy goat cheese taste. Both had the most delicious crispy crust and super fresh toppings!

We started with the arancini. It was good, but I missed having a sauce to go with it. Then we ordered the bruschetta, which was delicious — the flavors went really well together. For the main dish, we had the smoked salmon pizza. It had a good amount of salmon, and the arugula made it taste fresh. For dessert, we tried the tiramisu and the Sicilian cannoli. The tiramisu was good, but the cannoli was a bit disappointing. It didn’t have much flavor and was missing a bit of lime to make it stand out. The place has a nice atmosphere, but it’s small, so it can be hard to find a table. The food is good, and I would go back to try other pizza flavors.

Ok, this is literally my wife's and I favourite pizza in Calgary (yes, better than Noble). The Sunday special can't be beat! The atmosphere is great as well. We've been going here for years. My problem is the tip culture expectations and service. For one, our pizza came before our drinks….which literally took 15 minutes to make! To be fair, they looked to be a bit understaffed. Second, we confirmed an Aperol Spritz was part of the $12 cocktail deal. He said yes. Most places, this would be a moderate deal, but they tried to charge us $17!! We would of NEVER ordered one at this price….For a Spritz?? (Sorry side note, also, not a fan of the wine glasses). Last, the tip culture. I avoid restaurants that start their tip rec at 20% or higher…especially when service is not at that next level. The server stared at us as we fumbled around trying to leave a 15% tip for mediocre service. We will be back, but other than food, several things lacked this trip.

I was craving Italian food and after a quick search, came across Pulcinella and their menu. We were both intrigued by their use of grass-fed beef and pizza certification, so we stopped by for lunch. Service was great from the moment we stepped foot inside until we left. We were promptly greeted and a table was immediately setup for us. Our server was also friendly and made us feel welcomed. The gnocchi was the freshest and softest I've ever had and the tomato sauce paired well with it, though I would ask for the black pepper to be scaled back just a touch next time. The flavour of the chicken was pretty good, but we found the meat to be a bit dry. Our rib eye was fairly tender and was seasoned well. I was expecting it to be served sliced as we were sharing like steakhouses do, but it came to us whole. Potatoes and zucchinis were soft and flavourful. The big tongs provided for both proteins were unfortunately a bit cumbersome and awkward for the dishes. Overall, it was a good experience that will have us coming back to try more.

This is my favorite Italian restaurant in Calgary. I come here every time I crave authentic Italian pizza. Staff is so friendly and welcoming…..and food is OMG!!!! Everything I’ve tried is amazing. My favorite is insalate caprese and Prosciutto E Rucola pizza 🍕 and it has a mini market with Italian produce. Love this place and its vibe.

Upon the recommendation of a friend when we were visiting from out of town for a wedding, we ended up at Pulcinella. From the moment we arrived, the service was warm and attentive. Lindsay, our waitress, was absolutely incredible. She made us feel welcome, offered thoughtful recommendations, and ensured everything ran smoothly. The food was equally outstanding. We started with the bruschetta, which was fresh and flavorful, followed by a perfect margarita pizza. The lasagna was rich and comforting, and the butternut squash ravioli was a standout; delicately sweet and beautifully balanced. Every dish was clearly made with care and authentic Italian flair. Highly recommend Pulcinella for anyone looking for a cozy, delicious Italian meal with top-notch service. We’ll definitely be back next time we are in Calgary!

The first time I visited Pulcinella, I was completely blown away by their Arancini—so much so that I came back specifically for it, and it absolutely did not disappoint. The crispy exterior and the perfectly creamy blend of rice and cheese inside still brought the same joyful smile to my face with every bite! It’s the kind of dish that just makes you happy.🥹 This time around, I also tried one of their pizzas and a pasta dish. We ordered the Capricciosa pizza, and I have to say, the dough was incredibly flavorful with just the right touch of char from the wood-fired oven. The toppings were generous but well-balanced, not too much, not too little—and everything came together beautifully. We also had the Fettuccine Al Pesto, which was light, refreshing, and a nice complement to the heartier dishes. One of the highlights of dining at Pulcinella is sitting near the pizza oven on the first floor. Watching the chef handcraft and bake pizzas right in front of us added an extra layer of appreciation to the meal. Paired with some Italian beer, it was such a treat.☺️ Pulcinella continues to impress, not just with delicious food, but also with a warm, inviting atmosphere and consistent service quality. Highly recommend for anyone craving authentic Italian comfort food!

Cozy and authentic Italian spot with a really warm vibe! The carbonara was absolutely delicious — creamy, rich, and full of flavour, just like in Italy. I had a non-alcoholic Aperol, and it was perfectly refreshing and beautifully presented — such a nice touch. Huge shoutout to Francesco, our server — super friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. One thing I was really disappointed about: they used to have Tempura di Parmigiano, which was my absolute favourite — crispy on the outside, melty Parmigiano inside… so sad to see it off the menu. I really hope they bring it back! Overall, still a fantastic experience. Will definitely come back and recommend it to friends!

Nice location and atmosphere. Service could be a bit more attentive. The food is average italian-american. The prosciutto does not match with the cream it is served with. The large bruschetta is actually just a pizza without cheese. Risotto a bit overcooked. Ok - but nothing that would make me come back

Great experience, we stopped in for a cocktail and app and left with manchego, large baguette, and a loaf of crusty sourdough! The whipped gorgonzola with prosciutto was absolutely amazing with perfect portions. We also enjoyed 2 cocktails and the total came out to about $100 including 20% tip and the take home groceries!!

This is the best pizza but some of the worst customer service I've had in Calgary. The crust is flaky and light but still has a good chew. The tomato sauce is rich and the cheese is sharp. I love that the basil leaves aren't too large. The slices of garlic are also a nice touch. A large pizza is a little pricey but that's something I'm willing to accept for this kind of quality. My only complaint is the poor customer service. Pizza is best eaten fresh and with little wait time but the staff however are not attentive and don't seem to be eager to get the pizza to you on time. On multiple occasions I have waited anywhere from 15 to 45 minutes for takeout. I don't mind waiting but when I arrive at the recommend time and my pizza is cooling or cold then I have an issue. Arrive before the recommended time. So if they give you cold pizza ask for your money back or this is not worth it.

5 stars simply isn’t enough for how awesome this place is! The best pizza I’ve ever had in my life, highly recommend. And to top it all off, BRANDON our waiter was a superstar. Never let my table go thirsty and overall just a cool guy. This restaurant really has something going for them.

Absolutely Delicious! We ordered the half and half Roni/Extra Fancy. Both sides were perfect in their own ways. The garlic dipping sauce, while strong, is amazing! Huge portions, delicious crust. Friendly helpful staff and the restaurant itself was gorgeous and completely packed. Would definitely recommend a reservation. Final verdict, a must eat!

We were at the top of the waitlist and had to wait for a little over 30 minutes - this is after receiving a text saying that a table was ready for us. After we were escorted to a cramped booth, I sat down and understood what was happening immediately: The staff move around and they treat it like a casual hobby. No hustle or urgency whatsoever. The water is warm and the waiters seem to find joy in ignoring your table. The pizza is fine. It's a few steps above chains like Freshslice. We ordered The Original and Magic Pie. The Original was very good with quality ingredients and cheese, and the Magic Pie was abysmal. The Magic Pie had almost no tomato sauce and subpar sausage, I really hated it. Some places get popular and become better, and others get worse. Noble Pie firmly sits in that second category.

Noble Pie serves great artisanal pizza, though it’s not a true New York slice like you’d find in NYC. The Roni was especially delicious and well balanced. The space works well for groups, though it can get a bit loud inside. Service was attentive and friendly, matching the casual but polished feel of the restaurant.

Omg. I finally made it here and it was worth the wait but now I’m mad I waited so long. Everything was impeccable. The atmosphere was great, the service, top notch! My water glass was never empty nor was my wine! But if course the star of the show is the pie…. It was cheesy, it was salty, it was spicy, it was crunchy, it was everything I wanted it to be! We visited Azzurri Pizzeria for the first time on June 6. We were told there was only patio seating available, even though the indoor area looked less than half full the entire evening. We ordered our pizzas before the table next to us, but they received theirs first. A strong gust of wind ended up blowing their pizza onto the ground, and it took several minutes before any staff even noticed. When someone finally came out, they made a casual, dismissive comment rather than showing concern. We decided to get our order packed to-go, but were first brought the payment machine—before even getting the food. We waited 40 minutes in total, with no updates, apology, or explanation. After checking online, I learned Neapolitan pizzas only take 90 seconds to 2 minutes to cook, so we were baffled by the delay. We still tipped, but in hindsight, we’re not sure why, given the lack of service and the fact that we didn’t get to dine in as planned. The pizza itself had a nice light crust, but the toppings slid off easily, and it just didn’t hold up as takeout. Really disappointing first experience. Would’ve appreciated a heads-up about wait times or a simple apology. Hoping the restaurant can improve communication and hospitality for future guests. EDIT: we were asked to come inside ONLY when we said we would prefer takeout because of the wind after seeing a pizza blow off the plate. We did not want to sit outside in the first place. The service took so long, we watched an entire period of hockey. At this point, why would we stay longer? The restaurant showed no remorse and did not feel the need to compensate for the poor service or long wait times - which is also proven in their response below.

Azzurri Pizzeria is hands-down our favorite spot for authentic Italian pizza! The food is consistently amazing – fresh ingredients, perfect crust, and full of flavor. The customer service is always warm and welcoming, with a real family feel that makes every visit enjoyable. I live nearby and feel so lucky to have this gem in the neighborhood. Highly recommend to anyone who loves great pizza and great people!

Super expensive for what you get. The ceaser was $16 and the box was not even full! Also lacked flavor. The pizza was just ok. Disappointed and will not be back.

Review based on takeout only. Pizzas go for about $25-30 and has around 8 slices each. If you are a fan of very thin crust, wood fire and not overloaded with toppings, this would be a great place to go. Simple and clean tasting. It's not my usual style of pizza and felt the cost vs value wasn't necessarily met although they do use top ingredients and flour for their dough. With that being said, it's not a bad place for pizza. Just a very personal review compared to other wood fire pizza vs Calgary style vs New York style within Calgary. I would still recommend to give it a try.

LOVED THEIR PIZZA! I suddenly had a craving for Italian pizza, and luckily, this place was just 2 minutes away from us. And oh my god... my high hopes (based on all the great reviews) were absolutely met! The pizza was delicious! You really can't compare it to the big chains (I know they’re not Italian) — this was on a whole different level. We devoured everything in minutes. We tried the Margherita, Signora Gaga, and Mamma. honestly, all of them were so good, I can’t even pick a favorite. Definitely coming back, and I’ll be recommending it to everyone! Oh and the lady at the counter was super nice and even gave us free cookies! I was too full to finish them, but thank you! She really was as lovely as everyone else has mentioned in the reviews. It’s actually been a while since I wrote a review this long, but this place really deserved it.

We finally made it to GAGA Pizzeria. Great pizza and really fun people. Their pizza is thinner crust with lots of unique flavours. We kept it simple with a pepperonis pizza. There are lots of great pizzas for the more grown up tastes. We also tried Balkan-Style Pie - Burek. Don’t let the photos fool you, their pizza is awesome. Sandwiches are also on the menu and really good. Prices are very reasonable.

Every time I visit the city I have to come here, and each time it exceeds expectations. They’re so welcoming, the pizza is to die for and the service is outstanding. I can’t say enough good things! Highly recommend

Amazing pizza and overall experience. We got the Stella Rossa Belgrado and it was the cleanest pizza we’ve ever had. The perfect mix of sweet and salty. The owner is very friendly and makes you feel comfortable while being honest in helping you decide what to get. Will definitely come back if we ever come back to Calgary.

This is only the first of many visits I will make here and foods I will eat. I feel lucky to eat this delicious food and be in this cozy space. The cauliflower is the greatest vegetarian dish ever made. Oh, the pizzas are good too. Only thing is that the linguine vongole was previously on the menu but now uses a heavy lemon cream sauce instead of a light oil coating. The heaviness really detracts from the fresh clam flavor. The kale salad could be cut up smaller, the leaves are huge but well dressed.

Came here for a birthday celebration, and food was great. Their carbonara is good, size is small though, so I wouldn’t recommend ordering to share! All pizzas were good. They offer gluten free options on pizza but not pasta, but that’s okay! The spicy beef salami pizza was the highlight.

These guys made a wonderful first impression. Service was polite, attentive, and never clingy. They completely respected my desire to just sit and be antisocial for a little while. The portions were far better than most other places right now on the starters. The pizza was light, airy and tasty, and I've never had "cup and crisp" style pepperoni I enjoyed before my pizza here. Double Zero is definitely going in my "treating myself" rotation, and will likely be somewhere I show off to visiting friends and family.

Just a boring, corporate restaurant inside a mall. Food designed to be blandly unsurprising, atmosphere is like the showroom of a faux-upscale home goods store. Very poor accessibility for those with mobility issues. Why are you looking at reviews of this place? Just find somewhere more interesting.

Bad service and management. We went for a quiet family dinner around 6 PM—there were barely any other customers. We ordered two pizzas, a pasta, and a salad. Everything came out except the salad, which they forgot and only brought after everything else. When it was time to pay, I wanted to use a $100 gift card. The server handed me the machine, and I added a tip, thinking I was just paying the extra amount over the gift card. But instead, the full amount went on my credit card. I asked for the transaction to be reversed and was told it couldn’t be done on the machine and would take 10 business days to refund. I asked to speak to the manager, and it took her 15 minutes to come over. She didn’t introduce herself—just walked up with a “what’s up?” attitude. I explained the situation and asked for proof of the refund. Her response? “That’s why I’m here talking to you.” No receipt, no confirmation—just her word. Her solution was for me to still use the gift card, meaning I’d end up spending $230 total, even though half of that was supposed to be covered. So, if they mess up your bill, you’re stuck waiting 10 days for a refund with no proof it’s coming. It was a frustrating experience, and honestly, not how a restaurant should handle billing mistakes.

Has to be the best pizza I've had so far. It hits all the marks! It's not super greasy, the crust is light and fluffy with a crunch, topping don't fall off under one bite, sauce is on point, made in 30 min, and doesn't leave me feeling bloated at all, highly recommend I will be ordering from here from now on!

Bowtie Pizza is hands down the best pizza spot in town! The Bearded Zeus 1/2 with olives is a game-changer - the fresh ingredients and quick delivery really make it stand out. Garlic butter sauce is so good :) Yanie 1 of the owners is a great guy to deal with! Highly recommended! ☆☆☆☆☆

Yeah this pizza is awesome - ordered a large Beard of Zeus- crust was perfect and the olives were not the cheapo thin sliced ones from a can; they were large ones with awesome flavor. We ordered pick up and hung out in the order area listening to cool 80s (70’s?) music while we waited for it to be done. Employees obviously enjoyed working there and were really friendly. Great stuff!

Bow Tie Pizza in Killarney is consistently great pizza and service. If there is ever a problem, is resolved quickly and efficiently. Their loyalty program is top notch. We order at least once every two weeks, its that good!

We tried a couple varieties of pizza from a Bow Tie food truck at the Calgary Stampede and were amazed! We were all just hoping for decent "carnival food" pizza, but we all remarked how it was genuinely great pizza! Everyone really enjoyed the pepperoni. I tried a slice of the Donair (which being from the US, I had never even heard of before) and was super impressed. If we're ever in Calgary again, we'll definitely be getting some more Bow Tie Pizza!

Take out rating only of 4.5 overall. If you love the typical Calgarian style cheesey pizza, this is yet another great spot to go to. Overly stuffed with content and aesthetically pleasing. Also enjoyed the garlic aioli dip with it - not too strong as other garlic dips but still good. $25-30 for a medium sized pizza - hefty but comes with the content. The crust is ok here - on the crunchier side vs doughy. Wide selection of pizza choices or there is a make your own.

My family and I had such a wonderful time at Seniore’s Pizza restaurant ! The food was absolutely delicious, the crust perfectly crispy, the toppings fresh, and the flavours just right. What made our visit even more special was the incredible service. A big thank you to Farid and the whole team for being so kind and attentive. They made us feel truly welcome and helped us enjoy every moment together. It’s rare to find a place that combines great food with such genuine hospitality. We’ll definitely be coming back soon. I don’t know how this place has such a high rating. I ordered the baked Ravioli and Pesto Penne and both were laden with oil/ cheese. Ravioli itself is supposed to have cheese inside, but they also put a 1/2 inch thick cheese layer on the top. The ravioli underneath was so overcooked that after removing the top layer of cheese, it was inedible. Pesto sauce was also excessive with crazy amount of oil. If you don’t want your arteries blocked with fat, please don’t order pasta from here.

We tried the Chicken Donair Pizza from Seniore’s and it was seriously delicious! The flavor was extremely good, well made, and the generous cheese topping made every bite even better. The only thing is, their large size isn’t as big as I expected , could’ve been a bit bigger for the price. That said, it still felt worth it. Prices may be on the higher side, but the taste and quality make up for it. Just a heads-up: if you’re walking in, expect long lines and wait times almost every day.

It’s a good spot for a quick bite if you buy the slices. If you’re ordering a pizza, be ready to wait for 30mins. They messed up my pizza order a bit because it was too busy, but hey, they made up for it by offering us extra slices. I am happy with the taste, size of the pizza and slices was good, with fresh and quality ingredients. It does come with an extra garlic sauce. You get other seasonings in store.

Donair pizza, who would've thought? Came here right after landing from the airport, wanting a late night bite. This is probably as good as it gets for a midnight snack. Huge line despite the time, and I got two slices: chicken donair + spicy bbq chicken for less than 10 bucks. Humongous slices with extremely thick dough. This ain't like New York style pizza so beware! Solid flavour, and each slice comes with a gigantic garlic sauce container which made the experience a million times better. Highly recommend if you land in Calgary and want to try out donair pizza!

Some of the best pizza I’ve ever had! Perfect if you like thick Chicago style slices with loads of toppings and great flavor. The beef donair was the highlight for me. The slices are big and hearty so 1 will be enough for the average person. I may or may not have had two.

Easy 5 stars. Great pizza and killer garlic sauce, don't be afraid to get it "by the slice" either. The slices are humongous. Service is very fast and everything is fresh because it's so busy. Can be hard to find parking, so be aware!

We were in the neighborhood and decided to take a chance on a Sunday night. Scored the last table inside, and had a great experience. Service was excellent, 5/5. Atmosphere is awesome, fun, buzzy, not too loud. Open kitchen, whole place smells great. Love the indoor/outdoor vibe. 5/5 Pizza was delicious, traditional Napolitan. We had the Cotto + Fungi and the Salsiccia + Friarielli. Both excellent, perfect crust, crispy and chewy! 5/5 We will return for sure!

Every time I visit Jeremy and his staff, it feels like coming home. This is an amazing place to enjoy authentic Neapolitan pizza-I can say that with confidence, having grown up near Naples. The ingredients are top quality, the staff are super friendly and welcoming, and the place is very clean. My favorite pizzas are the Margherita, the Marinara with anchovies, and the Diavola with gorgonzola. They even have unfiltered Paulaner beer, which is hard to find in places like this in Calgary. Highly recommended!

I am ashamed to say how far I drove to try this pizza. Just kidding. No I’m not!! It was 3 hours one way. And I’d do it again. I’d crawl if I had to. I was alone for the meal but here is the goods , I had the arancini , classic Margherita and a Tiramisù. The arancini were crunchy , the risotto was delicious and not overcooked at all - the sauce it was on would be good on old tires. So good. The pizza was simple. ( is it’s supposed to be ) It was amazing bread , the sauce was just tomato’s seasoned to perfection and mozzarella ( insert Italian hands here ) Dessert was also a banger. Boozy , creamy , kinda foamy maybe ? I don’t know. It was the perfect way to finish up. Side note - the vibe of the staff is dynamite. Everyone is chill and smiling and killing it at what they’re doing !! Extra star for the best napkins of all time. I brought mine home to use as a bath towel. ( kidding ) but my god they are unreal.

I loved everything about this place — the atmosphere, decoration, food, and customer service were all excellent. We started with fries topped with Parmesan, and they were absolutely delicious. The garlic aioli sauce? Mamma mia! Such an incredible taste! The pizza was fresh and full of flavor, and the desserts — tiramisu, gelato, and espresso — were the perfect finish to a wonderful meal.

Delicious pizza! The ambiance of this place was cozy. Since it is a popular restaurant I expected a long wait but we quickly got a table. The staff were attentive. The pizza ingredients were fresh and of good quality. The dough was amazingly easy on the stomach. Reasonable prices and true Italian pizza.

We had the orange, fennel and walnut salad, d.o.p. the New Yorker pizza, and cotto funghi tatrufo pizza. The salad was so good, all the flavors blended well together. The pizzas were good, the crust edges had good flavoring. The flat part of the pizzas were also bit too thin, and we couldn't really taste the crust. But the toppings were delicious.

Read about this pizzeria through two articles that said it served world-ranked pizza, specifically neapolitan, so we had to try it out. After visiting Italy several times, I usually avoid trying to find decent Italian cuisine in north America as it usually turns out disappointing. I wasn't disappointed here. We ordered 3 pizzas: a Jeremiah, a Toscano and a classic Margherita. They are about 12" in size, and were supposed to be made with ingredients imported from italy itself. All 3 were good but the Toscano was my favorite. The Margherita is comparable to pizzas I've sampled in Italy itself. The cost averaged $22 to $29 each, so as a personal preference, I might not revisit the restaurant unless it was a special occasion. I also travel to Italy almost every year, so I can satisfy my culinary cravings there (for much less). On a final note, if you decide to try Pizza Culture, go early. We were there when it opened, and there was already a lineup.

Had Crispy Crust Pizzeria delivered to our place and we were pleasantly surprised about the quality of the food. The ingredients tasted fresh and the pizza crust was cooked nicely all around. We ordered Meat Lovers 10" and Classic 10".

Honestly.... The rave about this place was disappointing to say the least. My homemade pizza is honestly more enjoyable to be honest. Almost 200 bucks for 5 pizza's and it was almost like a ton of lunch meats were sliced and put on where there was meat. The dough was good, the sauce was mediocre. The only part of the pizza I found decent was the crust. You will get a better pizza at many places for the cost you are paying. My kids thought it was gross and stated they preferred Costco pizza which says a lot. The majority of my reviews are good reviews, but this place has a lot of hype and little to deliver at that price. What I paid for pizza should have lived up to the hype, but it was very underwhelming to say the least. I agree that the basic Costco pizza was better than all the pizza's I ordered, I would recommend learning to make basic dough and make it yourself, you could make 5 pizzas almost at the cost of one of theirs and be satisfied at the end, even easier get some store bought one and its honestly not much worse at that cost. Disappointing, After paying for the pizza there was change left, the worker asked if I wanted my change back, with taxes in I had about 20 bucks left, being asked if I wanted it back was insulting to say the least, as if the 180 and change was not enough. Service was mediocre, the pizza was nothing great and the atmosphere was disappointing. The rave was not worth the cost by any means.

Well was working down in Calgary and our guy from Calgary talked this place up. So we had to try it. And well it didn’t disappoint. We call it the teenage mutant ninja turtles pizza. Cheesy as can be. Perfect pizza. And this is the second time we ordered it. And the dipping sauces are awesome as well. Will be back tomorrow night as well. I just might get fat on this job. lol. Pizza is good, but not mind bottling. Feels like it is missing something in the sauce. It is a fairly runny sauce as well. Ordered the Bacon Cheeseburger and Mediterranean offerings. It might be an idea to add dill pickles to the Cheeseburger pizza, then it may stand out more. Potentially the famous hot honey sauce adds another layer, but unfortunately they only had $20 bottles of the stuff available, so we went without. My family loved the mozzarella cheese, which was a delightful highlight, along with the crust which was crispy and tasty. This pizza may be a good next day outta the fridge option. The cost was a bit pricey, so I am not sure if I could recommend it for a family dinner. We spent $57 on a 14" and 10". The ingredients seem to be quality but hard to tell under all that gooey, yummy mozzarella. Really wish the hot honey sauce was available on the side. Place was lined up on a Friday evening, and the staff were efficient, and I was in and out fairly quickly picking up my order. Recommend.

My all-time favourite pizza. It is not just the best in the city, but the best I’ve had anywhere in the world. And I love pizza.

A Crispy Feast! Ordered pickup of a large Greek Pizza, large Hawaiian Pizza, an order of Greek wings and two orders of Greek Salad for our party of five adults. Pizza was exceptional and Greek Salads were very very good. The wings were pretty salty but what wings aren’t? We’ll be ordering again. Staff was efficient and friendly and obviously great pizza makers!

One of the best tomato sauces I've tasted but either it is too oily or the crust in the middle is too thin causing the slice to lose structural integrity. The Bolognese was also exceptional. Never tried that on pizza before.

We tried Actually Pretty Good Pizza on a recent trip to Calgary. It was recommended by a few people. The service was good, we went into order and the pizza didn’t take long. The prices were somewhat higher especially considering the size of the pizzas are about 12”. We decided on the garlic fingers, the Full Nelson and the Hoser. The toppings all worked very well together, all tasted fresh as did the cheese. The dough was good, nicely cooked but did taste somewhat dry. Overall they were well made pizzas and tasted great. Definitely check out APG Pizza if you are in the area.

Came here for the 1st time. Had this Mediterranean pizza and some garlic fingers. Food was amazing and the vibe of the place is nice. And our server Yasmin was amazing and super friendly. She gave us good recommendations as we are vegetarians. Will be back again

Amazing food and service. We tried the Nashville North pizza and the burrata. Both were 10/10 and so much flavour. All their beer is also locally brewed. Will definitely be back to try other kinds of pizza!

The ambiance has also noticeably improved since the window was repaired after the accident. It’s great to have the indoor space fully functional again not just relying on the patio. The space feels cozier and more balanced now that inside is available. Our only real issue was with the pizza. Lately, it’s been coming out too hot, so much so that the toppings start sliding off on the first bite, especially on the greasier options like the Grease Wheel. The crust also felt a little inconsistent this time around. It comes off as sloppy. My son was very hungry so we didn’t send it back and said it was great as is. On the bright side, the Jarritos were excellent (the watermelon), but it was a bummer that they were out when my tried to order another. Our visit was made especially enjoyable thanks to our server, Alexandra. She was attentive, and had just the right balance of professionalism and friendliness all while bringing out the food fast.

Ordered for pick up, and saw that they had outdoor seating, so we decided to eat outside - staff was very friendly, and welcoming. Despite us not “dining in”, they still brought us water/napkins, and went the extra mile to make sure that we were okay. The pizza on the other hand, my partner and I have never finished a pie alone, and we usually always end up going home with leftovers - but this one was different. We finished it in one sitting, honestly one of the best pizzas i’ve had. We will definitely be back for more! Thank you!!!

Dill Pickle pizza. They nailed the idea. Really friendly service. Great Logo. Pretty good overall, I prefer more crisp on the bottom and the crust. It was a bit raw in a spot or two. Lacks a little flavour/punch. Good considering it is surrounded by bullshit chain pizzerias. Glad you moved in closer to me.

Had high hopes for this pizza place, but unfortunately the pizza was a massive disappointment. One of our pizza crust was raw and undercooked around the edge and as you can see from the photos had very little toppings coverage of the pizza. Looked cooked but it was thick and raw crust. We got a good two for one deal, for $40 we got two large pizza. If the quality was good like I expect this would have been a fairly decent pizza. Toppings all seemed good quality, flavour on par with other New York style pizza. But unfortunately the build and cooking of the pizza was not good, and they let it out the door. I am not sure if the had a bad night or the person working the oven decided to send out a few sub par pizza. We ordered off Door Dash at 8:30 on a Monday. So would I order again? Probably not, the lack of quality control says all I need to know. I would rather have a consistent mediocre pizza compared to getting more bad pizza. We did eat it because we need food but the waste was high due to crust. This is a very take out focused review, I expect I might drop by the store if they do a slice deal. I truly believe that’s the best way to review a slice of pizza in the New York style. I will update reflect a take away slice if I get that done.

I've come here several times and this is the first time from their new location. I always like trying their feature pizzas, they always have something interesting. This one is jerk chicken and hamtastic. Pizza price is on special on Wednesdays. The crust has always reminded me of roti.

Amazing crew in this establishment. Cheerful and attentive people that gives exceptional service to their customers. Tried their Pepperoni pizza and it was good! Crust was thin, crispy and chewy, it reminds me of the best NY pizza pies. They also have $5 on the go slices if you want to try out some of their flavours. I tried the Dill Pickle pizza too and it was surprisingly delicious! The laid back retro vibes of this pizza place reminds me of how good the pizza diner scene back then in the 90s. There’s a couple of parking spot dedicated for their customers, inside the apartment compound. They also have a $20 pizza promo every Wednesdays. Definitely coming back to try out their other offerings!

Don't recommend this pizza at all. Order double pep and it came single (if that's your idea of double I'm better off ordering from LC's). The hot honey wasn't hot, it was just honey. Way way better options in downtown than this trash.

The best gluten-free crust I have ever had. Made in house. You can’t tell the difference from the wheat one.

This is the best gluten free pizza in all of Calgary. I don’t say this loosely as we have tried so many different gluten free pizzas in the city. These guys have it dialed. The crust is amazing and not that thin cardboard you’re used to getting. It’s a home made crust and it’s soft and thick. I honestly thought I would never have good pizza again until I tried this place. Highly recommended if you can’t eat gluten. Only downfall is they are all the way downtown and I live far away, but I will make this trek for this pizza..

If the website was honest, I wouldn’t be cheesed (pun). The gluten free section said you can’t tell the difference between regular crust and gluten free (hard to believe but I wanted to, so badly) and it showed a picture of a thick fluffy crust. It most certainly was not thick or fluffy, and it was very misleading😂🤦‍♂️. Had I just known from the start, that would have been fine🤷‍♂️ but I got lied to lmao. The pizza was ok, but now I have trust issues.

So good! Probably my favourite pizza in AB. Always order take out for the family but usually get a small for myself to eat on the way home - the smell is irresistible. Only wish I lived closer

A cozy place right in the heart of the City, the atmosphere is pleasant, with a taste of home or even a well-known place that invites you to feel confident. The pizza is completely different to what we had expected, it is a robust and plump pizza, with delicious flavors that jump with each bite, the service is also second to none, highly recommended. We will definitely be back

Ordered a medium house special and a small ham and pepperoni. The sauce was flavourful and not too thick not too runny! The cheese was stringy a gooey exactly how you would expect to enjoy it. It was pan style (deep dish) pizza. Thick crispy crust all home made. Would recommend again. It was a nice breather from doing a lot of downtown walking. Packed some home to have round 2.

I braced through a flood to get to this pizza shop and it was totally WORTH IT! The moment I saw the photos on Google, I HAD to go! The staff was very friendly and it seemed like he knew most of the customers, which made it feel very homely. The pizza was superb! It's rare to find a place that puts cheese on top of the toppings, and LOTS of it to boot. If you're looking for a nice Instagram photo of the cheese stretching, this is your spot. The toppings themselves were in massive proportions as well and the dough was very crisp and light. Any pizza lover should definitely come here

This is like one of those Greek style pizzas but the toppings under the cheese actually stays in place and doesn't slide everywhere. Nicely fried crust. A 10 inch pizza could feed about 1.5 people.

These reviews are pretty wild. I never, ever leave bad reviews, but I feel compelled to tell the truth. For anyone that truly enjoys pizza, stay away. This is a suburban pizza. It is a slightly elevated Pizza Hut. Slightly. The “recycled dough” story is cute. Sadly, it is not appetizing. I had the pep, and ‘signature’ pickle pizza. I am truly surprised this could survive in the inner city where folks generally have good pizza options. I’m sorry. Just the facts. Any true pizza folks will definitely not be impressed here. Buyer beware.

We were having trouble getting in anywhere as a group of 6 on a Saturday night until we got in here. This small pizza/beer joint is a bit hidden but was nice and quiet. We enjoyed being able to split the pizzas into 2 flavors. I split mine into Spicy Cheeseburger (thousand Island sauce, beef, jalapenos, onion, mustard and pickles) and BBQ Chicken. The 10" pizzas had a generous amount of toppings, crispy and airy crust and were very filling. I particularly loved the mustard on the cheeseburger pizza. My wife had half Dill Pickles and half Wild Mushroom (garlic butter, wild mushrooms, truffle oil, balsamic drizzle). We're not big beer drinkers but other people in our group were happy to get a craft selection from Half Hitch Brewery while we had soft drinks from Grizzly Paw.

The wild mushroom pizza had 0 wild mushrooms- only the standard champignons which were completely burnt. Pizza was tasteless:(

Birthday party for a buddy. Fun atmosphere, server Kenzie was super nice and did a killer job. Beer was cold and good Pizza was good. Wasn’t the worlds greatest but they’ve nailed the crust and use high quality ingredients. Also birthdays get a free 10” pizza.

Top notch pizza, we order from here all the time. Even better is the service. We just had an order delivered ice cold as the driver clearly did other deliveries from other delivery apps between pickup and drop off. The Mash corrected the issue immediately. Amazing service!

Wonderful pub tucked away off of Kensington Road. Simple decor and great menu. Small but delicious. Wasn’t overcrowded and we had a lot of space. Probably 30 seats inside, maybe 8 at the bar and room for 15 outside. They have 4 Half Hitch beers on tap and 4 fruit draft things (not sure- cider?) and a pizza menu. We had the spicy Hawaiian and it was delicious. Almost too much for 2 to eat! will go back. 10/10

Amazing Mother’s Day brunch!!! So many delicious options… loved the French toast, eggs benny, turkey & pasta wheel!! Not to mention the best pizza in the city, and the chocolate fountain with fresh strawberries was a great touch for dessert too! I went to Pza Parlour for Easter Brunch, which was absolutely AMAZING!! There were so many breakfast options to choose from; the oatmeal and Eggs Benedict were outstanding, as was the stuffed French toast. I loved the sirloin steak, and the highlight was definitely the pasta in pecorino cheese wheel and the $5 Mimosa! I was told there will be a Mothers` Day Brunch. I am looking forward to it, and highly recommend you add it to your calendar too and treat the special `Moms` in your life.

Dog-friendly patio, welcoming staff, and great service. I’d pass on the aranci, but the pizza crust was excellent. The spicy Calabrese pizza was a bit too salty for my taste, but overall enjoyable. Looking forward to coming back and trying another pizza!

We have placed numerous orders from here at our corporate office, and each experience has been consistently excellent. I was not aware that a catering menu was available, but Dave kindly assisted us in creating a customized menu that perfectly suited our needs. All of the food was exceptional—fresh, hot, and delicious. We highly recommend this establishment and look forward to our next visit/ order!

We had an early dinner here. We had Pizza Pufs for appetizer - absolutely recommended. I had pasta which was overcooked, fell apart on my fork and the pasta sauce was a bit spicier than expected. My husband`s pizza was a big hit, perfect texture, flavour, view. The tiramisu is a great choice to share for dessert. The service was amazing.

Buyer Beware! I stopped by this pizza place for a quick bite and ordered a medium pizza, expecting the usual two medium-sized pizzas (8 slices each) that our family always gets. However, I was surprised to find that this place uses a different way of measuring pizza. A "medium" pizza here has only six slices and is much smaller than expected. To my surprise, their medium pizza is only 10 inches, while a standard medium pizza is typically 12 inches. The total cost for two medium pizzas and three cans of pop was $45, which I found quite expensive for the portion size. I can’t comment on the taste as I asked for a refund shortly after realizing the size issue. The staff was understanding and processed the refund without any hassle, which I appreciated. The restaurant itself was clean, and the staff was kind, but I wish I had known this information before ordering. Make sure you’re aware of their sizing if you decide to order from here!

Avoid. Taste, texture, and value are all worse than frozen pizza or Costco pizza. $4 a slice is an awful price. Also incredibly salty. Maybe even worse than Chuck E Cheese pizza. I've had better food at funerals and gas stations.

It looks like Inglewood, the service is like Inglewood but if you have been going to Inglewood pizza for years you’ve come to expect a unique flavour and that is gone. There is nothing unique about this pizza.

The folks at Inglewood are the best, really good for the neighborhood. Always smiling, always friendly, always delicious pizza. Super consistent, highly recommend. Not a fancy location but always great.

I ordered a Town pizza with Gluten Free crust. OMG, the best GF pizza ever!! Absolutely Delicious! Their crust is a real home-made GF pizza and does not come from a package. There is only one size for GF (Med), but it was fairly large and a good value for the price. As a person with Celiacs I greatly appreciate Inglewood Pizza going the extra mile. Thank-you!

So I was there with my bestie on Sunday August 7th, 2025. We were in the neighborhood, just walking around, looking at arts and books and got hungry. Didn't want to go and sit down for a full meal, so decided to swing by there. My bestie was telling me how good the pizza is there. Pizza is pretty good. 4/5 for me. But the service we got is definitely 5/5! The lady's name is Shawna (I hope I spell it right). She is super friendly, so warm and welcoming, she's funny, outgoing. We chatted, we exchanged some jokes. I overheard her talking to her coworkers about the long tongs, cause she's short and needs a pair, to reach for things. So, to the owner, get Shawna long tongs! 😁 We are definitely coming back and soon, just to chat with her. She made our day even better, with her being and cheerful personality and good work ethics. And the boys in the back, also, very nice, hard working. Everyone was busy cleaning, serving customers. I've watched Shawna being very friendly with every customer.everyone left the place with a smile on their faces! This is what great customer service supposed to be! Come for the food, leave with the smile because of service. So to everyone, who wants a warm welcome, great service and good pizza on the fly, this is the place to go! You won't regret it! 🥰🥰🥰

Beautiful and cozy little pizzeria tucked away in NW, a hidden gem! We ordered the Bee’s Cheese, and it was absolutely to die for. The perfect balance of flavors! The customer service was top-notch, and the food was fairly priced. Highly recommend checking this place out!

I can’t stop thinking about the artichoke pizza at Carmine’s—it’s absolutely incredible! The creamy richness of the sauce combined with the tender, flavorful artichokes is pure perfection. The crust has that ideal New York-style crispness, sturdy enough to hold all that goodness without ever getting soggy. It’s indulgent, comforting, and totally addictive. You can tell they use quality ingredients and know how to balance flavors just perfectly. Easily a new favorite!

My husband and I just dropped into this lovely pizza shop and enjoyed an incredible Carmine's special. It was so tasty and fresh. The dough was perfect and the crust was light and crunchy. The owners clearly take pride in the food they serve. We'll definitely order again and highly recommend this spot. Great if you want to cater for a pizza party as well! Thanks for your food!

Carmine’s Pizzeria is an absolute gem! The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the food is even better. The Capo is a standout—packed with flavor and definitely a must-try. The owners are incredibly welcoming and go out of their way to make you feel at home. It’s the perfect spot to relax, enjoy amazing food, and have a great time with friends or family.

Good pizza. Flavorful, dough was good, not burnt or anything. Not quite NY style, but close enough. The biggest size is 18 , so clearly not comparable, but this is Canada, obv you have to expect that. Very tasty. If I had a note, it would be the pizza sauce, VERY little of it. I'm ducking a star for that, really, barely there.Other than that great value for the money, will be back

Glad I discovered this pizza spot today. The owner is extremely friendly. I got the pepperoni with was very lovely and the cheese pull was legendary. I also tried the cheesy garlic bread and it was spectacular. Would definitely come back to try other pizzas and their pasta

Absolutely horrible - back in the days it used to be a great pizza. Now all you get is greasy, cheezy blob right in the middle of the pie. Never again, shame on you Mercato for destroying a great product.

Pizza at Mercato is the best pizza I’ve EVER had. I’ve eaten it many times. The crust is delicious. The toppings are of the highest quality. We ordered two pizzas to go, after eating on the restaurant side. We had left overs for the next day and it was still delicious. I drive from Airdrie to have their pizza. So good. 😊

It’s been a 2 months since we ordered Pizza Mercato and I’m very disappointed to see that the recipe has appeared to change. First, it looks like they’re opting for a thinner crust which was the first hint something was different. The only flavor the Americano pizza had was plain, unseasoned mozzarella cheese. The pizza had no balance of flavours and if I didn’t see sauce I would have assumed it was missing because we couldn’t taste it at all. We also ordered the ceaser salad, which was also disappointing. While the croutons were excellent, the salad dressing lacked flavor and there was not enough dressing for the salad. Overall, this used to be one of our favourite pizza places in the city but we definitely won’t be ordering again.

The pizza has changed substantially. It used to be a thick pan or Greek style pizza. Now it's a sort of Neapolitan style but done really poorly. You can tell the flour, and cheese are low quality, I wouldn't recommend it and I wouldn't order it again.

It wasn't overly busy when we arrived and the waitress wasn't overly pleasant. We got some decent food. I got the famous lamb meal at 40$ you get a lot.of lamb but it seemed a little pricey. Tasty, full flavored food but nothing amazing

Decided to drop by and have a meal before our flight back to Montreal. We were missing Greek food from home so we decided to have a big meal after not eating all day. Let me say from the moment we entered until the moment we left the entire experience was welcome and delightful. The food was authentic (high praise from my wife who is Greek) and the lamb in particular was an absolute highlight. We ordered a bunch of dishes from salads to calamari to the pan cooked cheese and the whole thing was exactly what we were looking for. Food was flavourful, fresh, prepared quick and generous in portion. Had a nice cocktail and beer as well while enjoying the decor which was honestly both cosy and visually interesting with plenty of things we both appreciated especially on top of the amazing food. Sad we didn’t get to visit sooner in our trip but in all honesty? We heard about the place as two people walked past talking about it in the beltline and thought? Why not. Highly recommend for food, staff and atmosphere. Please drop by and support a local Greek business because I guarantee you won’t be disappointed. For all our dishes I don’t think we even took a picture with how quickly we devoured the food.

Hadn’t been here since I was a young child in the 90s, but it was great. Family run spot that deserves love and attention. Does not disappoint on the Greek style pizza, very tasty.

I had not been to Spiros for years. I went back in July 2025. The food is delicious. One of the best pizzas I have had in Calgary (or elsewhere). And I am a pizza fanatic. Customer service is also incredible. This is a family run business, and at least one of the family members is always there. The place is a real treasure.

Such a heartwarming + romantic dinner at Spiros! The staff made us feel at home our whole visit. We shared the spanakopita to start, chicken souvlaki and the cheese cake to finish was out of this world, it was so light and rich we have never had a cheese cake like it before. The red wine was very aromatic and delicious they import directly from Greece. I could have had a couple bottles to myself! Everything was so fresh and authentic we still talk about how good all the food was, we are so happy we stopped in on our recent trip to Calgary ♥️ !

I have been coming to Spiros for almost fifteen years. They consistently have been amazing with both great pizza and Greek food. My latest time, I ordered the calamari, which was crisp and fresh. I also ordered a half and half pizza, which was incredibly filling! We were only able to eat half of it. However, the pizza leftover is also delicious 😋

We've lived in Bridgeland for 3 years and we walked by it quite a bit and thought, it was time to give this restaurant a try. From the outside, there is the Italian charm but upon walking in, there a dusty defunct bar that acted like a storage room, not the best impression. We were prompted seated but it seemed they were very short staffed, we would not see our server for like 10-15 mins at a time. Fries were okay, not salted enough, no shakers on the tables either. Pizzas took forever to arrive. When they did: the vegetarian toppings were so coursely cut on the thinnest crust, it was impossible to eat without all the toppings falling all over the place. Ingredients didn't seem special (Unico black olives) or thoughtfully prepared (very charred eggplant). My partner got mushroom and ham pizza, he noted that the crust was so thin that the sauce made the dough gummy, like it wasn't cooked right. Ambience was nil: no music but they had the sports on. Servers didn't do a service check. I'm going to una next time craving dine in pizza.

I noticed right away owner has been changed. I can say the pizza Margarita is tasty, the other food is good, and the portion is good. One disappointment was, they have a TV on the wall, (sports channel ) which is not much for an Italian restaurant.

Old school atmosphere with friendly prompt service and excellent food. Combine that with the upbeat vibe of brigeland, and you have a winner. People were there with family and friends and looked like a decent date night spot. I will be back.

Pizza crust and bread that accompanied the mussels were pretty much burnt. I would say, for the price that you're paying for the pizzas, you're better off at Without Papers Pizza, Cibo, via Cibo and Italian Centre if you're looking for thin crust pizzas. Service was mediocre. If I saw the black toast and black all around the pizza, I'd tell the kitchen to remake it before serving it up and telling the customers that it's normal to be that black.

The overall experience was great, the food was amazing and the service was fast. The menu was simple with description, easy to make your choices. The only reason why this place did not get a 5 star was because of lack of/ difficulty of parking and no available wifi.

With my girlfriend we shared mussels and a pizza and everything was so delish! I especially liked the mussels in tomato / wine sauce and crispy pizza bread..They even have peperoncino oil! <3 Will be back!

Atlas pizza is a long time local favourite neighborhood pub which offers the best Pizza in town. Great staff managed by friendly managers. I've had their soups, great steaks ,salads, delicious baked pastas, the succulent beef ribs, awesome chicken wings. Their sandwiches are freshly made and taste amazing. Try the very reasonably priced team or combo platters for a variety of delicious bites to discover your personal favorites. Awesome hangout to treat your friends and family with wonderful staff and lots of space.

A nice bar to have a meal or get-together at! Our server was nice and the tables and washrooms were clean. Ordered a small pepperoni & mushroom pizza to share and though it took a bit to come out of the kitchen, it tasted good! The beverage portions are huge. Hope they’ll start doing a special for chicken wings!

I am soooo disappointed in this pizza|| This was our go to place in the 90's and clearly it is not at all the same place. I remember ooey gooey cheese and tasty toppings on a well cooked crust. When we opened the boxes we were quite surprised that the cheese was horrible and dried out looking. They both looked the same, colourless, dried out cheese. My gawd don't you know that the cheese is the best part of the pizza and the cheese on this pizza was absolutely DISGUSTING||| Unpalatable. The toppings had no taste at all. The crust was undercooked below the toppings and over cooked along the edges (Super crunchy and dried out). Just absolutely horrid! We each tried one piece and all agreed that a peanut butter sandwich would taste better. Someone doesn't know how to make pizza.

The pizza was over cooked, the dough was too thick and soggy and they hardly put any cheese, which was probably the most disappointing part. Probably the worst pizza I have had in a long time. And the oregano on the pizza made it inedible. What a waste, considering how expensive their pizzas are.

Mighty fine pizza! Plenty of seating, excellent place to catch a game! The “Madigan Special” is a great choice if you’re looking to satisfy your pizza craving!

Serious pizzas. You won't accidentally walk off hungry with these. It's like 40%more girth than you'd get from other places. Service is good Atmosphere is what you'd expect from a sports bar but more local pub vibe than a biger rowdy bar. Loud on loud nights (games) and chill but lively otherwise

The toppings are quite good and plentiful but the crust is bland. It's actually pretty disappointing. The pie is also pretty small for the price. The space is really cool and hip, the neighborhood is great but I would never seek this pizza out unless I was in Inglewood. Una is much better. The service was also pretty bad. Crazy slow for 3 tables in the whole place and our waitress forgot about us and even admitted it when she finally came to our table. Save the trouble and go to Una.

Dropped into Without Papers today and was very Happy I did! Had a Pizza The Hut with fresh arugula sprinkled after cooked for freshness... Tasted devine! The staff was awesome... The atmosphere was welcoming and clean! I recommend you go... The pizzas ars thin crust and can be rolled like burritos... So good! Plus a great collection of wines. A great place.

Came here on a weeknight and this place is bustling. We grabbed a seat by the kitchen bar, and it was super cool because you get to see the pizza making process up close. The pizza chef was also engaging which made our experience super fun! The service was also really good. The pizzas tasted great although we all agreed that the shroom pizza was lacking a bit of flavour and was very plain. The cheese on the meat pizza was amazing! Our favourite was definitely the housemade arancini. One star off because the harsh music was just too loud to be enjoyable.

Ordered on skip the dishes. Had “the Pandemic”, Arancini & Cannoli. Everything arrived warm, well prepared. I found the arancini a little flavourless, but great texture. The pizza was the Pandemic which has mortadella, jalapeño, honey, pistachio, garlic and cheese. That sounds super tasty and should have strong flavours - they were a bit weak but again well prepared. Perhaps being a bit hard, I found it tasty overall and would still go back - maybe it’s better to just have in store rather than delivery ?

The pizza is great. Flavorful and well balanced, though today's crust was a bit soft. The heat/spice level was just right - the server said "if you like sriracha, you'll like this." She was right. She was friendly and took the time to answer our questions despite being busy. The only drawback for me was the noise level. I had come with two girlfriends for dinner and a chat. The music was so loud we were literally yelling at each other. So we only ordered one pie and left. Personally, I hate loud music in a restaurant - it can be energetic without being deafening.

We ordered Margherita and Tree Hugger. Liked the later one better. Open kitchen concept. Was super busy (and loud!!) on Friday night, got a take-out which did seem to be a mistake as both items got quite cold by the time we reached home. Prices are slightly on expensive side.

Without Papers is a great pizza joint in the heart of Calgary. Their pizza is savoury and flavourful, and their drink menu emphasizes local options. While the service wasn't the greatest, I quite enjoyed my margherita pizza with a pint of local craft beer.

Ordered Hawaiian cause, yes, I like pineapples. Never really had a pizza with the cheese on top & "toppings" on the bottom, but gotta say it was pretty good and I appreciate how with everybite I can see a nice layer of pineapple unlike other places where it's scattered or clumped randomly, or you barley get any at all. I did order online, and despite the wait/drive (est. 20 minutes) it was still pretty hot when it arrived, and had a pretty good cheese pull. I'm sure it would have an even better cheese pull fresh from the oven if ordered in store. The sauce is also to my liking. Not too thick or thin, or sour, or just too much like I've experienced else where. It lets the toppings and cheese be the star without overpowering. I do like the slight crisp of the cheese at the surface, and the toppings are cooked but not overdone (protected by the cheese layer). In this case, putting the cheese on top makes sense. All in all I'm happy I decided to give this place a try as its been on my mind for a few weeks. Today I found out one of my fave pizza places changed delivery hours. Thought about trying this place and they happen to have a buy 1 get 1 online. Worked out well, definitely recommend.

June 21 2025 Thick, loaded with cheese and delicious. It was still warm after a 30 min drive home. Wish there was a dine in option so one could enjoy it out of the oven piping hot. Ordered a medium pepperoni with ham ($21) and added pineapple ($2) with a Greek salad ($14). The salad was very good as well. They said to come by in 20 mins and indeed, it was ready then. The order was substatial enough for 3 adults as lunch. Would definitely order here again.

We were extremely disappointed with the pizza. My son wanted this after late night practice, so we did get here till late evening. Ordered a couple deep dish style pizzas - just under $70 jeez. Drove all the way home with the pizzas, they looked good at first sight, but something was definitely wrong after biting into them - both were raw!!! So disappointing that I called them back to let them know, but they don't do refunds over the telephone so I had to drive all the way back for them to refund my order - we are 15 minutes away one direction. Brought the raw pizzas with us to show the staff/owner and yeah he agreed was not good. Offered to make us another one for free, but if you can't get this right the first time.....plus don't want to wait another 20 minutes so I declined. At least the person there was nice enough to refund our order fully. Ended up going to Peter's as by this time pretty everywhere was closed. Wasted a good portion of time and gas going back and forth then to some where else. Would've been nice if the could've done a refund over the phone or something to save the trip. I brought the pizza to prove it was raw.

This review is specific to Buster‘s Pizza in Cranston. This location opened this week and we decided to try it out. The pizza was excellent. The pizza was not too heavy. All of the ingredients were fresh. Pizza slice passed the hold test with minimal sag. The pizza toppings went right to the crust. The crust itself was more of a bread like crust which we prefer. We ordered 12” which fed 2 people with leftovers. Pizza ordered was Buster’s Max hold the olives. $19.99 plus tax which was really good for the quality of the toppings.

Just visited today to grab some piping pies from this pizza joint. Ordered 2 medium pizzas one hawaiian and donair pizza which cost me around $42 and some change. Very affordable prices and attractive menu. Will definitely order again.

Ordered the Detroit style Pizza and it was pretty good! Edit june 2025 now known as buster’s. Got the jumbo donaire. Pics attached. Meat to Pita and veg ratio is pretty outstanding! $17 that can be split in half for two adults. Would like more sauce. But over all really good! Also had their pizzas several times and they were great as well. Happy we got this is in the neighborhood.

Tried Buster’s Pizza and Donair for the first time and came away impressed. We ordered for pick up and everything was ready on time. The staff were polite and the place itself is clean and clearly new. We had the donair pizza. The toppings were generous, and the crust was decent. Good flavor overall, though not mind-blowing. Surprisingly, the cheese sticks were the standout. Perfectly baked, gooey, and satisfying. I’d come back for those alone.

The best pizza I have ever had it’s yummy 😋 The crust is thin and crispy, We tried Butter Paneer Pizza taste was mouthwatering .The Owner is also very friendly and accommodating himself.

There are three words to describe this pizza: Oh My God! Crunchy sides, perfectly burnt ham, and this lemon garlic palm dip is a heaven😋 That combo made a revolution of tastes that will be hard to beat! I want to mention beer as well. We have had a lager and IPA, both tasted refreshing and really good!

[UPDATE - August 2024] We enjoyed a couple of pizzas at their current location in Tailgunner Brewing, which didn’t disappoint. The pizza has infinitely improved since our last visit. We had a Margarita (with added anchovies) and the Funghi, which were outstanding!! The service was so friendly. We would highly recommend this place. [ORIGINAL REVIEW] We enjoyed some pizza when they were at Two House Brewing, and now they are at Tailgunner Brewing. The pizza was good, we tried the pepperoni as well as the Fungi (mushroom) pizza. Both were great and we would order them again. You have to order at the counter or order and pay via their website and then enter your table number, which is a bit disjointed, but it all worked out. The quality is good for the price point. It would be nice if they had condiments available for this pizza (chilli oil, salt, chilli flakes, etc).

I was pretty disappointed by the pizza I had delivered to me. It was way overcooked. The crust was beyond crunchy. Thank God I got a dip for it to mask some of the burntness.

Delicious pizza! Nice parmesan crust with perfectly cooked dough. Good drinks too! Staff was chill. Ambiance is really nice. Would come again. I wish the pizza had slightly more honey on it to balance better but overall good!

Lunch today was good. Meatballs , warm fresh baked bread in a nice marinated sauce . Had warm olives today and was underwhelmed. I've seen them served before here at larger tables and they seemed to get more of a variety. I'm thinking 1 person served its easier to get a lesser portion of the actual goods ya know. Still glad I came ....Tailgunner was still pretty good.

It truly pains me to write this, especially since it was my very first visit — and to be fair, the food was absolutely fantastic. I was genuinely excited to try this place, and the meal itself did not disappoint. However, the experience completely fell apart when it came time to pay. We sat there for nearly 20 minutes, waiting for someone to bring the bill or at least acknowledge us. Nothing. When we finally got up and stood in front of the counter, not a single server made eye contact. The payment machine was just tossed toward us without a word — no greeting, no basic decency. And the worst part? The place wasn’t even busy. I counted ten staff members just standing around, chatting or doing nothing in particular. No one showed even a hint of care or urgency. The whole atmosphere felt cold and dismissive. As someone with dietary needs, I’m used to advocating for myself — but the way I was treated made me feel invisible and disrespected. Honestly, it felt discriminatory. It’s such a shame, because the food was amazing. But no meal is worth being made to feel like that. I won’t be back.

The pizza had good gluten free crust and there they have a lot of different pizza options. The vegan pizza wasn’t the best though, especially for the price. Not sure about other pizzas. It was extremely hot in the restaurant. Sub par experience overall.

Avatara pizza. Very delicious!! Customer service is fantastic! Friendly, treats you like a friend that you known for a long time. Found them at Spruce Meadows and after a long hot shift in the sun, their pizza hit the spot. Fresh vegetables and fresh dough, baked in a wood fired oven. I cannot eat heavy meals like fast food burgers without feeling sick due to food sensitivity however their pizza is the perfect meal just like a home made pizza or any home made meal. You get a delicious meal made with natural ingredients without feeling guilty or food sensitivity. Highly recommended. Definitely a returning customer.

We ❤️❤️❤️❤️ when restaurants are accommodating and have food for all. Finding somewhere that everyone will enjoy food is quite rare, Avatara was incredible. The food was so flavorful, the service was incredible, we left feeling so full and satisfied. Didn't have a chance to take pictures because the food was gone so fast. Thank you Avatara.

Whole menu here is gluten free including the pastas and breaded options as well. Almost every pizza can be made vegan, and they have a vegan / gluten free lasagna and Mac & cheese! We ordered 2 gluten free pizzas with the vegan cheese and they were both delicious. I preferred the Crusty Cowboy, and my boyfriend preferred the Beyond Meat Pizza. The restaurant itself is more take out style than dine in, but does offer two large tables. (Note: It was slightly chilly). The service was wonderful! Celiacs in Calgary this is the best pizza, Ceasar salads and flatbread you will find. Aristotle pizza and Cesar salad was great! Have to go back and try the chicken fingers.

Everything is PERFECT and YUMMY! I enjoy a wonderful lunch here. Nukshan is nice and friendly, he not only cooks fantastic food for us, but also guides me new direction for my life. It is the best pizza I have.

Came with my family and all of the pizza was incredible! They also have fantastic sodas for reasonable prices. We bought a few crusts to make our own pizzas with and are super excited to try them at home.

Food was absolutely delicious. Loved the pairing of my steak with the cab sav red wine. My meal included tossed salad and garlic bread but I forgot to take a picture of that. The restaurant was packed and we were a group of 8. I enjoyed my medium rare sirloin steak meal. My steak was well seasoned and just delicious. My husband loved his baby back ribs meal. We all opted to sit outside in the patio since the weather was just great. All in all a great choice of a place.

Neat place, friendly staff, tasty steak. I loved the calamari. Warren took wonderful care of us and was attentive and on point when it came to refilling our drinks and removing finished plates. We went there for a late lunch at 2pm on a weekday, and there was plenty of parking and no wait for a table.

A family run restaurant in Calgary. We had very delicious steak which was beautifully served with a gorgeous side dish and tasty mash potato . Unfortunately, I forgot the waitress’s name, but she was very friendly.

The food was very good – especially the burgers and the steak were delicious! Our waiter Eric took great care of us, gave us recommendations, and was always attentive! We were a group of five and only had to wait a short time for a table. All in all, the restaurant is definitely worth a vistit!

The advise I got when coming here was "have the steak, and don't bother with the pasta or pizza" and man was that on the money. This place has some of the best steak I have ever had with generous helpings of veggies and mashed potatoes. You will not leave hungry. The service was also ultra quick and quality. The interior is a fun quirky almost 70s esc vibe that honestly is just perfect with the steak dinner.

Rea’s Italian Cucina is a gem! We came in with a large group and were blown away by the amazing service- attentive, friendly, and incredibly accommodating from start to finish. The food was absolutely delicious and tasted authentically Italian in every bite. From the fresh pasta to the perfectly seasoned sauces, everything was on point. Can’t recommend it enough, this place is a must-visit for anyone who loves real Italian cuisine and top-tier hospitality.

We were sat upstairs, the ambience isn’t as nice as downstairs. The pizza oven wasn’t working, had we known we wouldn’t have came after booking over the phone tonight. It was our first time and if I’m honest we’re a little disappointed. The pasta sauce was bland and just lacked flavour. The service was great. I would try again but not in a hurry as we paid $170+ for 2x wines, 2x beers, a salad, soup, 2 pastas which didn’t taste like much.

This place is a definite hidden gem. Reservation are highly recommended (or necessary). The chicken parmesan may have been one of the best I’ve ever had. The pasta lavatory was very good as well.

The biggest shock is that all the pasta is PRECOOKED at this overrated restaurant. Even if you ask for al dente, they will not do it. Mushy pasta is very American and very un-Italian. My overcooked spaghetti seemed to be cooked together with linguini. Sloppy but a minor issue. The second biggest flaw was the sauce. The lack of or unbalanced ratio of soffrito makes the distinct sweetness of Bolognese non existent. The meat is not even broken up properly and sitting in chunks. The sauce just tastes like ground beef and oil. I have nothing good to say about the Spaghetti Bolognese I ordered and they should be embarrassed about what they serve. Incredibly subpar food but great service. I want to try more items but the quality of the Bolognese prevented me from ordering more. The service was lovely and I appreciate how hard the front of house seem to work. The reply is also hilarious and shows that they have 0 interest in taking ownership for their poorly cooked food. This is touted as one of Calgary's classic Italian establishments. Not if they can't even be bothered to properly cook pasta.

One occasionally stumbles upon a dining experience that stirs the senses with quiet sophistication rather than ostentatious flair. Such was the case at Rea’s Italian Restaurant, a modest yet confident establishment where the essence of multi- generation family Italian gastronomy is executed with genuine respect for tradition. This eatery was mentioned to me by locals I met during my time visiting Calgary Stampede, who spoke highly of this being one of the most authentic Italian restaurants in the city. Upon entering, one is met not with theatrical bravado, but with an understated charm. The interiors lean pictured with family photos of past generations: a mural of the family at the entrance, and colors that were similar to the Spanish red’s I have seen during my European travels. There is an intimacy to the space, with many folks walking through the door, greeted by name and smile from the staff. To the food, then. Over the course of the three visits, I fancied a variety of dishes. The homemade Rea’s meatballs arrived with a studied elegance: fresh parmesan and herbs, and arrived with a visible draft of steam. The Sandro Special pizza, slivers of prosciutto that melted on the tongue, paired with olives, green peppers and a capocollo of commendable bite. The pasta—Fusilli Ferraro, a family signature dish was a triumph of restraint. The main course, a braised veal shank with pasta, was unctuous and unhurried, falling from the bone with an ease that only comes from proper, patient cookery. It was rustic with flavor and herbs—a balance many aim for, few achieve. Now, a word on the wine. I inquired with my server Dante, of looking for something from a smaller Italian vineyard in Italy. The list, while not encyclopaedic, is curated with care. There is a pleasing balance of old-world depth and regional specificity. I took my server's recommendation, a 2021 Brancaia Tre. A blend of grape varieties from the Tuscan vineyards of Maremma, Castellina, & Radda. This well structured, medium-bodied wine played beautifully across the meal. One suspects the sommelier (Dante), should one be brave enough to call upon him, has a few rare bottles tucked away for those who speak the right language. Service, I might add, was deft and warm. No overbearing interruptions, no robotic recitations—just timely, knowledgeable attention delivered with that rare blend of family hospitality and pride. A word on the location, just perfectly north of downtown, with the ability to get a last minute bar seat. However, a reservation would be necessary if I returned with my mates. In sum, Rea’s Italian Restaurant is not the place for spectacle or reinvention. It is a place where the family traditions are revered, where ingredients and multi-generational family recipe’s are honoured, and where the wine is never an afterthought. A quiet triumph, and one to which I shall most certainly return next year when visiting Calgary Stampede 2026.

This pizza was completely different from anything I’ve had before! From the dough to the toppings, everything was generous—especially the sausage! The cheese tasted amazing, and the sauce was so good, I actually want to buy some from the restaurant to use at home. The pasta was perfectly cooked, just the right texture. The dressing on the salad was really unique, something I’ve never tasted before. I drove this time, but next time, I’ve got to try the beer!

Crust tastes bitter. The tomato sauce also lacks a lot of flavour. There are only three ingredients in a Margherita and I can only taste cheese.

The place is nice and clean, and our server was amazing. We ordered pizza and fettuccine Alfredo with chicken. The pizza was amazing, the pasta was on the mediocre side - the sauce was good, but the chicken would benefit from spices.

We had the Capricciosa pizza and it was fantastic – thin crust just the way my wife and I love it. The gelato and cheesecake for dessert were also quite good. Honestly, I don’t understand why some people are dissatisfied – we really enjoyed everything. The service was excellent, and our waitress was super friendly and cheerful. Would definitely come back! 🍕🍰😊

This was our second visit to Famosa. Our first experience was not very good. We had a wonderful server who was very polite friendly and did a awesome job. The food again was not very great. The bruscetta was presented very poorly and had way to much big chunks of onions and way to much balsamic vinegar. The prosciutto meatballs were quite salty and the sauce was not even hot. The chicken Alfredo pasta was flavorful but the chicken was not hot and very under seasoned and very bland to be honest. The restaurant was clean and washrooms also clean but it was not busy at all. Our server was great but unfortunately probably won't be back for a third visit.

We went on a weekday during happy hour and the service was great. In terms of price we felt the pizza was the best. The flavour and the cook on it was perfect! However the bruschetta was a let down. It was one pita cut up into 8 thin pieces and the presentation of the balsamic tomato topping was mediocre. We also had the seasonal roasted chicken pasta and it was very disappointing. There was barely any sauce, the chicken had no seasoning and it was undercooked. Overall I’d highly recommend the personal pizzas during happy hour!

We loved the new summer menu selection and the servers were very nice, attentive, and knowledgeable. Thanks DJ! We had the citrus avocado salad which was really refreshing! The we tried all 3 summer pizzas including the Bombay cauliflower, prawn pesto, and Don Andreas! Soo good!

The Italian Centre is an incredible spot that I absolutely love, especially for its cheese selection. The grocery store is fantastic, offering a great variety of products—not just from Italy, but also many items that are hard to find elsewhere. It’s always a treat to shop here. Their café is also a nice addition, serving authentic Italian coffee, sandwiches, baked goods (both sweet and savoury), and pizza. Speaking of pizza, the Boscaiola pizza is hands down the best I’ve ever had in Canada—flavourful, well-balanced, and simply delicious. A big shoutout to the deli staff, who are always patient and helpful despite the overwhelming number of cheese options available. Their knowledge and friendly service make the experience even better. However, my experience at the café has been a bit mixed. While the young staff are generally nice, they have messed up my order twice. The most recent time, I waited over 20 minutes for my takeout pizza, only to realize something was off when customers who ordered after me were getting their food. When I asked about my order, I was met with some attitude (sparkle of rudeness) - until they checked and saw they had indeed lost my order. Instead of a quick fix, I had to wait another 10 minutes for them to remake the pizza. Overall, I still love this place for its outstanding selection and quality, but I hope the café service improves because the food is worth it.

Took my mother to the Shoppes since I had not stopped in for a few years... Had a fruit tart & a Cafe Mocha amongst the very busy dessert and fresh food patrons. I am always fascinated by the wall of cheeses 🧀 and the extensive olive 🫒 bar. This would be a good grocery store solely based on the variety of stock but I feel that it's the high standard of product quality that makes this store a next level retail business... What is definitely next level quality in this store are the dessert & baked goods items. Bottom Line: 9.4 out of 10

5 star fun place to shop and eat! Italian pizza here was 10x better than other fancy places around town. The prosciutto arugula pizza was a delight to taste. Pricing is very reasonable too and they are generous with their toppings. Would highly recommend. The sandwiches are also very large and can be split between two people. The cafe is consistently busy but spots become available fairly quickly. I think they need 2 cashiers as it was too popular. Pastries, bakery, cheese section have lots of selections and it’s a very busy place for obvious reasons.

The grocery shop part is ok and cashier who helped was super nice. The coffee shop in the other hand. I was helped by two grumpy young ladies Sunday morning. They seem to hate their job and life. Not even a thank you. The guy who made my coffee was super nice. But the lady who took my payment and the one who served my sandwich were the worse. So I did not know if that is company thing or they were just unhappy with life. Anyways, I wouldn't go back for a coffee if I want to have a pleasant morning .

I've been fortunate enough to have pizza in some of the most famous spots in the world, including Italy and New York. I can say with absolute confidence that the Italian Centre Shop in Willow Park serves some of the most delicious and authentic pizza I have ever had, right here at home in Calgary. Don't be fooled by its location inside a humble grocery store. Just head to the back, stand in the (usually bustling) line, and prepare for a treat. The value is incredible – pizzas are under $20, which is a steal for this level of quality. Pro-Tip: You can add any extra topping you like for just $1! My personal go-to is their phenomenal Italian sausage. While you're there, do yourself a favor and explore the rest of the shop. The deli counter is a treasure trove of authentic meats and cheeses, and the shelves are packed with fantastic Italian imports. You are seriously missing out if you haven't tried this place. Go get a pizza. You'll thank me later!

This place is fantastic and I find the prices more reasonable than Lina's, their primary competitor. DO NO GO EXPECTING TO EAT IN THE STORE FOR LUNCH ON THE WEEKENDS, IT IS NO GOING TO HAPPEN! I bought some Italian groceries and some prepared food to bring home, much less stressful and still very fresh and reasonably priced for what was received. The staff are helpful and polite.

Great place for groceries pizza and coffee and that’s about it! Deserts if you are lucky and you get the fresh ones 👏👏 if not they are very old. Today tried a Tiramisu cake 🤣🤣🤣 disaster total disaster I don t recommend it! It was semi-fresh like an 3 out of 5 but it was a cake with wipped cream instead of mascarpone or at least mascarpone combined with wipped cream. What I bought is not a Tiramisu Cake!!!! Not for $38 for God sake🤦‍♂️ Guys if don t know how to make it…why do you make it? Just for the money??? Go get some training or watch youtube for God Sake! Sooo…. In conclusion idk I was so close to go back there and ask for my money back but I calm down and write this instead🙈

Had breakfast and few croissants to serve and few for home. And an organic sourdough wholewheat bread. All pastries absolutely incredibly fresh, not greasy, very flavourful and crispy on the outside and soft on the inside-just perfect balance. The sourdough bread is probably the best in Calgary-perfect crust, perfect gooeyness and the perfect amount of holes as well-taste-perfect for my liking’s. The sandwiches: just perfect balance within the amount of ingredients and bread. Nicely cured salmon-decent amount, good quality avocado and great dark orange eggs/yolks. Never been disappointed at sidewalk citizen bakery. Great stuff as well, very interesting characters all around. Nice atmosphere-positive vibe all around.

Nice Bakery on the river front. The staff were nice friendly and in a good mood. I tried a couple things a slice of the Orange cranberry cake with brown sugar frosting it was delightful. I also tried their Quiche it was flavorful. Items are on the smaller side but I enjoyed my breakfast with a nice latte and sat outside relaxing under the sun. Bathroom and establishment were clean.

Best croissant and pain au chocolate I’ve had in Canada other than in Quebec! The pictures don’t do them enough justice. So yummy!

I love it here. One of my favourite spots to hang out on the weekend. Their breakfast sandwiches are incredible and so are the pastries I’ve tried. I love the location and how close it is to the river too. During winters, the interior is nice and cozy and great for a coffee work date.

Great bakery, i love everything they serve honestly. This is my go to place everytime I want something amazing to eat. Their sandwiches are also the best - they change daily/weekly so you gotta try them all! They also have a patio - it’s right by the water & is a great spot to grab a coffee/ walk your dog or walk by yourself.

Beautiful location right by the river. The granola, almond croissant and egg bun were scrumptious. You get your drinks from the nearby coffee roastery. The brick building and wooden chairs and tables adds to the overall experience. They also have outdoor seating. Great way to spend a weekend morning!

We’ve been coming here every time we want something different and delicious. We had croissants and sandwiches today, they were freshly made, you could taste the difference. Staff are friendly.

We recently visited for the first time and had a wonderful evening. Both of us thoroughly enjoyed our wine and pizzas; I highly recommend the Traditional Greek, which was packed with flavor. The staff were gracious and made us feel well taken care of. I imagine this place is busy most days, filled with an older demographic of loyal regulars. While the decor may feel a little dated, the restaurant was spotless and well-maintained, creating a comfortable and inviting atmosphere. A heartfelt thank you to the entire team. We look forward to returning soon!

I didn’t have any expectations and was absolutely floored. Possibly the best pizza I’ve ever had. Cheese 9.5, sauce 10.0, crust 10.0 So so thick and delicious and filling. The kids loved it too. Great atmosphere too

A successful small business that has persisted more than 30 years. Yet through all the trials and tribulations it has been a steadfast cornerstone of the varsity community here in Calgary. Delicious pizza, and a welcoming atmosphere. They just started a new promotion with different types of topped fries. I enjoy the extremely hot wings here and especially finishing with a large portion of tiramisu at the end. Come by and support the continuation of this wonderful restaurant.

We went for the Monday night specials and were really impressed with the value. The price was great! compared to other spots, and the portions were very generous. I tried the lasagna and also sampled the garlic bread, which was delicious. The food overall was really good, but the service felt below average and didn’t come across as very respectful. Still, for the price and the quality of the food, it’s worth a visit!

First time here, we came in for lunch, the dining room was really busy (a great sign) so we sat in the lounge. Our server Rhonda was great! We were the only people in the lounge but she checked on us regularly and was really welcoming & friendly. The pizza was fantastic, great sauce, crispy crust and the bottom crust wasn't too thick. We live out of town but will definitely be back!!!

Vancouverite here. Loved this classic Western Greek Style pizza (I've had this in Calgary, Regina, and Saskatoon) blending elements of traditional Greek cuisine with classic pizza-making techniques. If you want authentic Italian food that is absolutely amazing, make sure to try Il Centro. The caprese salad was absolutely amazing, this dish was the highlight of my night!! The bruschetta, and the pasta was also delicious! Cant wait to come here again to try the pizza!!

A very good night to be with friends but the food did not measured up at all. our hostess pushed the calamari dish as one the best in town. It actually was one of the worst you can have. The calamari was rubbery the sauce was bland and tasteless. Pizza was good (4/5) which gives the additional star. Their special was the very expensive overcooked pasta, tasteless sauce, soggy veal cutlet, overcooked prawns and OK scallops. Apparently the place used to have a very good Italian food, but based on the reviews, the owner has changed and it appears while they try to mimic the recopies, they are not certain how Italian food should taste.

Best Italian restaurant we have been so far. We tried the steak, calamari, lobster, shrimp, pasta, pizza and everything was delicious. Try the limoncello cream, it's house made with a grandma recipe. We'll be back soon!

I just ordered lunch here and decided to go with a combo for the first time. Bit into Caesar salad and found a sharp jagged piece of plastic. If I swallow this that’s a trip to the emergency room. How can something like this happen? I will be back for a full refund - please at the very least. I’m nervous to keep eating my lunch

I don’t know what part about this is “authentic.” You can find better food at a gas station in Italy. The meatball sandwich was bland, with plain, soggy bread. The “caesar salad” was just dripping in sauce. Nothing here is actually Italian, and nothing is tasty. Their pictures don’t look like reality. The cashier was friendly though and came to check on me so that was nice. The other reviewers must be drunk and one even said “don’t go” yet gave a 4 star review. Jeez.

Unbelievable! Ordered take out from the Deerfoot Meadows location..13 dollar Caesar Salad that was absolutely rancid...The lettuce was Brown and the smell coming out of the box was putrid. Had the carbonara and it was a perfect 10 out of 10, Family enjoyed three other dishes, one with the rosé sauce and one with just the tomato sauce and then the gnocchi. Top notch, amazing service and the food was amazing. A must stop when your in the area.

We ate here this past weekend and our only regret is we didn't try it sooner. We enjoyed everything from the nice atmosphere, Cassidy our great server, and the delicious food. We had the French onion soup, chicken and pesto pizza and pistachio cheesecake. Everything was fresh and tasty. I wasn't expecting the cheesecake to be so good, but it's worth returning just for that. Needless to say we will be back. Also, don't worry about parking, you can register your license plate for 2 hours of free parking.

We had the best server who was so attentive and kind! Truly a delightful experience thanks to her professionalism. The food was great, especially for lunch Fehr. We had the chicken Caesar salad salad and a pizza. Excellent value, good quality, but the excellent serving staff really was memorable!

My mom used to work in the building so I have fond memories. There's a reason Gus's has been around since 1991. Note that there's free parking if dining in so don't pay before you go in. Pizzas are still amazing. French onion soup was delicious. Service was attentive and friendly. There's obviously regulars that they have rapport with. If you need a break from hospital food or you're nearby Gus's is a must try.

Tried to order directly off the website but the order went through DoorDash. Order arrived on time- salad was very soggy with barely any lettuce and it was warm… hard to tell from the photo but you can see how far from the top of container the lettuce is. It was like an inch of lettuce for 15$!? The salad was likely placed on top of the pizza while driving it over so the salad got steamed. Pizza was soggy and cold. Basically can’t order through DoorDash because quality control is lost and you rely on the driver to pick it up while it is hot. I don’t like that you have to tip before the order is delivered. You’re tipping for cold food. I order from Gus’ because it’s close to where I work- it’s usually better than this. Super disappointed with the ridiculously small salad. It should be priced at 5-7$ for the amount I got.

The pizza was really good. The littles enjoyed the Pasta and Meatball sub, as well as the wings and dessert. I liked that the wings were baked and not overly sauced. Service was great. Also if you plan to eat at the restaurant, they will validate your parking, so no need to get a ticket ahead of time. The place wasnt busy, but was non stop take out orders.

This has been one of our go to spots for pizza in Calgary for YEARS. Now that we have moved away, we always take thw chance to pick up a pie when in town. Crust is crispy and light, sauce amount and flavor is perfect and cheese is the perfect melt. Highly recommend.

Best pizza & best vibes in Calgary! Al’s Pizza honestly feels like home. Al does everything himself — he’s the owner, the chef, and the waiter — and you can really feel the heart he puts into it. The pizza is absolutely amazing. Hands down the best I’ve had in Calgary. The whole place has such a cozy, homey vibe — like visiting your parents for dinner. And on top of that, Al treated us to a free salad, just out of kindness. It’s one of those places you don’t just go to eat — you go because it feels good to be there. Can’t wait to go back!

Popped in with my son after a busy day of moving and it was just what we needed. Great and friendly service along with delicious pizza, I enjoyed the Donair pizza while my son had cheese. The cheese toast was a tasty treat as well. We will definitely return.

Nice spot for a Sunday evening dinner. The staff was friendly (Layla was awesome), the space gave a warm family feel. I ordered the Al's Special Pizza and enjoyed it. I will be back in the near future. Returned for a second time and ordered the chicken and ribs. The portion was generous it came with garlic bread, salad and the entree was a full rack of ribs and a large chicken breast. The BBQ sauce was nice and the chicken was beautifully seasoned. I also had a nice sides of veggies of broccoli, carrots and mushrooms and spaghetti and meat sauce. This place is a hidden gem.

Sat and waited for my food for my takeout pizzas and apparently they had been ready for a while but nobody told me. Haf to ask again and they sent them out. Pizza was okay. The sauce is ridiculously over seasoned. It's too bad because the crust was decent. Quality of toppings was so so. Meh

Wow, I'm wondering why it took me so long to try this place... Amazing food is an understatement. Caesar salad was the best I've ever had, homemade dressing was killer. I had the chicken parmigiana with penne, cooked perfectly, absolutely huge. Chocolate cake for dessert topped it off. One of the best meals I've had in a LONG time.

First time here, large restaurant, dine in or take out. Great for parties or office workers as everyone can order their own pizza and pop for $9. Marketplace for your frozen chicken or pizza order to take home. Arrived before dinner rush but it sure can get busy, recommend ordering ahead during dinner or lunch rush. Friendly helpful staff. We’ll be back to try more of the menu.

Food is and has always been good. I have been going to Coco Brooks since I was a kid. But this Highfield location needs some service training. Their ability to manage the mix of high volumes of customers in store and over the phone is abysmal at best. Called as I left the parking lot of my work about 20 minutes away, so that I could pre-order the pizzas. I was on hold without talking to a single person the entire drive to the store. I walked in, still on the phone and asked the person at the counter who is responsible for answering phones, and how it can take at minimum 20 minutes for me to be connected to a human and the only thing that person could say was "We're busy." I get that it's lunch, I get that you're busy. But I'd encourage you to take that excuse to any other franchise pizza place and see if they find that acceptable.

Love the pizza, wings (red thai curry), smoothies and chocolate lava cakes! They’re so delicious! The price was pretty cheap for such amounts of food, also the pizza was tasty, it had a crispy texture on the side and softness inside. We’ll definitely be back to try another pizza and other frozen food!

This pizza just hits different, in the best way. There's a ton of excellent pizza places in town, some I'd even call my favourite. And yet every time I come back to Coco Brooks, I realize what I'm missing when I go to anywhere else. The pizza here is top notch and fresh, great choices of toppings and specialty pizzas, and a decent price to boot.

The best pizza!! I have yet to try them all but my go to are the Bacon Double Cheese and the Big Al’s. Their side sides are a great add on, the Greek salad is my favourite. On top of that the staff are always amazing 😊

Just a fantastic pizza restaurant. It has thick slices that are so fluffy and light just makes one of the best pizza in this town. It is a small place that has a nice patio in the summer. Service is great on account that it is so small. It also accepts reservations If I lived closer I would probably be fat and happy. Bring your appetite cause you will probably finish the whole pizza.

Lived in Calgary for 6 years. They offered me the best Pizza I have ever tried there. Way better than Boston Pizza or Pappa John's. The owner is a very kind gentleman. We went there many years ago when my son was a child. He gave my son a wodden motorcycle toy which he made himself. If I ever return to Calgary I will visit them and will enjoy some good time and good pizza there. I see they are temporarily closed. I hope they come back to business soon.

Amazing pizza. I've driven by Stromboli's many times, and was recommended to try it by a client, so I did and I was not disappointed at all. The service was great and wasn't too busy for a Friday night. Pizza does take a while to make (about 30 mins average) but is made to perfection with thin crust that rises. So if your in a hurry and looking to grab a quick bite, I would go elsewhere. Keep up the good work!

For thick, not quite deep dish pizza, this is what you want. I've had a few pizzas there and they have all been exquisite. Try the potato and sausage pizza - I know it sounds weird, but do it. It is really good. You can get it in the small size if you are hesitant, but get it. It has been my favourite so far.

I've tried their pizza a couple of times and, while quite good, isn't quite my thing. I'm preferential to Neapolitan-style. That aside, the pizza at Stromboli Inn is thick, hearty and quite delicious. The restaurant itself is very cozy and gives the feeling of a perfect little Italian restaurant. It can feel a bit cramped but that seems to add to the charm of the place. There's a porch out front that is often busy during summer months. Definitely worth checking out if you want some real substance to your pizza.

Pizza is consistently delicious, however I had a truly awful customer experience when I used Door Dash for delivery. I ordered and was charged for a large and received a small pizza. When I contacted the restaurant they were quite defensive and said it was a Door Dash issue, did not apologize and made zero effort to help. The staff I spoke with actually flippantly said "Well what do you want me to do about it." Door Dash completely took care of the problem and advised it wasn't the restaurant's fault when I contacted them, but the incredibly poor customer experience I received will prevent me from ever ordering from Stromboli Inn again.
