Wow, very delicious food! So good even my picky eater daughter kept requesting the brisket. Make sure to order the broccoli salad - best side. The beans, macaroni salad, and Mac & cheese were also good. Piper was a great server. We were always checked on.

This was my first visit to Hayden Block Smoke & Whisky in Calgary, and I was not disappointed at all. If you're a vegetarian or vegan, it's best to go elsewhere, because this place smells like a genuine smokehouse, and it sure is, 100%. I ordered the brisket with the bacon wrapped smoked corn on the cob, and a cocktail on the side. And, my better half ordered the smoked wings, salt & pepper, and then a second serving of BBQ wings. I highly recommend giving them a try. Thank you staff for the wonderful experience. I will be back.

A great spot for late night BBQ and drinks! This is a go-to for me especially after 10pm for a steep discount on a certain selection of meats! You can get pulled pork, brisket and more after 10pm for 50% off if I remember correctly. This makes them really affordable and they're already worth full price. Soft, fall-apart brisket and delicious pulled pork. Tasty sausages and some amazing ribs and beef bones. There is a huge selection of drinks and also live music at certain times. Great ambiance and seating. Decent service and street parking will be required. Highly recommend for some delicious cuts of meat!

This restaurant shares the same owner as South Block, so the BBQ is just as great—the dishes are quite similar too. The brisket was delicious! The tacos and Benny from the brunch tray were also very tasty. I had a mango wheat beer, and overall it was a delightful weekend meal with friends.

We were just visiting Calgary and selected Hayden Block based on reviews. They were spot on and I also now highly recommend. We didn’t have a reservation but were able to get a great spot on the back patio shortly after 6p.m. The food and cocktails were delicious. Our party of 5 were there for many hours enjoying all they had to offer. We never felt rushed or pushed to wrap up and leave. Our server, Lisa, was fantastic. She was prompt, friendly, and continually made suggestions of different cocktails that suited my tastes. We felt so welcome and it was a night we will all remember.

We came here for my fiancé’s birthday dinner, and we were absolutely blown away! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the staff was friendly and attentive — they made us feel right at home. We started with the queso and chips, which were out of this world! The queso had just the right amount of spice mixed with a subtle smoky flavor that kept us going back for more. It was creamy, flavorful, and perfectly paired with the crisp, salty chips. If you come here, you have to try it — it’s a must! For our main dishes, everything exceeded our expectations and then some. The flavors were rich and authentic, and the portions were generous without being overwhelming. It was the closest thing we’ve found to true Texas BBQ outside of Texas — tender, smoky, and full of depth. You can tell they put real care and love into their food. The overall experience was fantastic from start to finish. If you’re craving great barbecue and a relaxed, welcoming vibe, this place should definitely be on your list. We can’t wait to come back! The only thing of note was the lighting upstairs was awfully dark

I’ve been to Hayden Block a bunch of times over the years but hadn’t gone in a while. Went yesterday for a friend’s birthday and it was honestly such a great experience. Service was excellent. Super friendly and on top of things without being too much. The drinks were great and I really appreciate that they have mocktail options. Thank you for that! I forgot how good the food is. Everything we ordered was delicious. The pork belly is sooooooooo good—like, ridiculously good. I left wondering why I haven’t been coming here more often. Can’t wait to come back soon.

Sour Cream and Onion wings were unique and delicious. I didn’t get a pic but Electric Honey was also so good. Can’t wait to come back. All the servers were so kind too.

People rave about the wings here. So we had to check it out and I gotta say, the wings are very good. I’m told they don’t pre/partially cook them like many places do to save time and you can taste the difference. They’re juicier. You don’t get any of the petrified nubs. They aren’t skin and bones or fatty. The cook is perfect. And the flavors are great, even a little elevated The negative with made to order wings: you’re waiting. In this culture waiting 60-90 minutes for an order of wings is egregious (and common here from my understanding) I say “this culture” because I’m not sure this is actually a huge deal as long as you understand this ahead of time, don’t arrive starving and are prepared to make an evening of wings at Mug Shotz If you’re looking to crush a few plates of wings and a beer and be out in an hour for a killer price, that’s not the vibe here - which brings me to my next, somewhat complicated point: price Beer costs about what you’d expect from a dive in Ogden. At $17/lb wings are a bit expensive. I would probably assume local and or free range/organic for this price but maybe that’s just not realistic in 2025 even though there def are wings at proper restaurants that boast this for a fraction more I get it, I have friends who run and own restaurants, wings (and basically everything) are expensive. 25c wings are sold at a loss or if they’re lucky, break even. But on a Wednesday that’s kind of the point. You get a deal, you buy a few drinks, it’s asses in seats, and a full venue with new potential guests - everyone wins I’m not sure you feel like you won if you have 4 ppl, one of which is vegetarian who has 1 beer and a $9 small salad, one who has a Pepsi, the only other menu item is wings on special and the bill is $140 before tip Seems a touch steep for a wing night, in a dive bar, in an slummy mixed-use commercial building, in an industrial park, with absolutely zero parking… I mean how much is the rent here? A packed house with premium wing pricing and you can’t get another fryer or a can of paint? $17 is down town pricing so why does it feel like I’m in a small town in Saskatchewan? But…. this place was JAMMED, with a wait to get a table. So what do I know? And am I sincere that all these things add up to a bad proposition… Would I go back? Are the wings good enough? Yes… ish But with different expectations maybe and more prepared to wait and a different table (we sat at the very back where we were sweating, it was a solid 5 degrees warmer than every other table). These wings are sort of in an awkward tier with no competition - much better than wings that are much cheaper, a touch cheaper than wings that are better. But this is sorta how ppl are wired these days, always defaulting to the most middle option for the illusion of value It’s possible this is just a business strategy I’m not accustomed to. I prefer cheaper wings and drinks that are $2 more. Which would actually excel at Mug more than most places since you have nothing else to do but drink when you’re waiting 3-5 business days for wings Would I go at full price? Nah. It’s the few bucks they knock off that got us there. The wings are good but I’m comparing to other wing nights that are selling a pound for 1/5th the price so it’s not exactly apples to apples. I’m not sure it’s good enough to be a destination when you probably have a decent pub a stones throw from your house and they may have a mid wing night for $5.95 My advice: check it out, on a Wednesday, armed with calibrated expectations via my unnecessary detailed review and judge for yourself It might just become your spot I’m sure some day, when the salt has long exited my system, I’ll crave Mug Shotz wings and I’ll find myself standing in a line next to the claw machine for a janky table under the punishing light of a VLT immediately questioning my decisions

Wings are very good and filling . I got the mugshot fries but I probably wouldn’t get them again , staff were very friendly . Food came out pretty quickly .

I recently visited Mug Shotz Sports Bar & Grill for the very first time, and I have to say—it completely lived up to its incredible reputation! After hearing that they were voted “Best Wings in Calgary” multiple times (2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2017, 2018, and 2019!), I had high expectations—and they were absolutely met. I tried the classic Hot Wings along with the Teriyaki Wings, and both were outstanding. The hot wings had the perfect kick, beautifully balanced with a rich and creamy Blue Cheese dip that elevated the flavor. The teriyaki wings were a delicious contrast—sweet, savory, and topped with sesame seeds that added a great texture and finish. Cooked to perfection, these wings were clearly crafted by people who take pride in what they serve. The atmosphere was energetic and welcoming—just what you’d hope for in a proper sports bar. Even on a busy Wednesday night, the service was fantastic. Dean, my bartender, greeted me right away and made sure I was taken care of quickly and efficiently. The place was bustling, which speaks volumes about its popularity, yet everything still ran smoothly. I also had the pleasure of speaking with Charlene, the owner, which was a really nice and personal touch. Despite how busy the place was, she took the time to chat, which reflects just how much care and attention goes into both the food and the overall guest experience. Although I stuck to the wings this time, I’ve already made a mental note to try the Cheddar Broccoli with Bacon on my next visit—it comes highly recommended and sounds amazing. And with such a huge variety of wing flavors and other enticing menu options, I know I’ll be tempted to try something new each time I come back. Between the incredible wings, excellent service, and welcoming atmosphere, Mug Shotz is a spot I’ll be recommending to anyone looking for great food in Calgary. Went to Mug Shotz in Ogden for 5 lb wing platter Saturday with in-laws. Almost forgot pic and we were 1/3 through it was heaping before taking it 🤗🤷🏼‍♀️ Flavours:Sensation Soy, Sour cream and onion and bacon and Garlic Parmesan !!! Sensational Soy won awards for a reason!! Yummmmm We all ate ate least a lbs each while there only 7 wings out of about 60 we took to go lol 💯 Best wings in Calgary 100/10!!!! 🏆

Awesome spot for a wings!!! Wing night is great! $13 bucks a pound. You can take them home too. Great service and great sports bar food. Parking is tough. But it's worth it. I would like some bigger tv's, but that's me.

Had an awesome time at Bottlescrew Bill’s in YYC! The atmosphere was lively, and the service was top-notch—staff were super attentive and friendly. The dry ribs were absolutely delicious, perfectly seasoned and crispy. Tried the IPA and it was spot on—bold, fresh, and full of flavor. The stout was superb too, rich and smooth with a great finish. Definitely a great spot to kick back with good food, great beer, and even better vibes. Highly recommend!

Wow! This place blew my mind! Not only was it really cool pub with awesome prices, but the food was INCREDIBLE! The chef there is a red seal GENIUS! Bison steak was PERFECT! The enviroment was soo cool and very inviting, our server, Kaylea was not only incredibly kind, she really knew her stuff, we went with all her recommendations and we blown away. I can’t say a negative thing about this place, 10/10, like wow!

Wings were crispy, but super overcooked and dry. The Bill's sauce, which others enjoyed, for the wings was odd; it tasted like a mix of buffalo sauce and teriyaki. I think I'd prefer them separately. At least a dog friendly patio.

I was just there with my boyfriend to watch a soccer game and couldn’t be happier with everything! Service was top notch, the perri-perri salad and dessert were 10/10 and even the 0 alcohol beer was super cold! Our service never rushed us out of the table like most places in Canada would do, he was the sweetest and most helpful person ever :) I’ve only been there before for beer but would definitely recommend it for food as well!

What a blast from the past. This is a historic Calgary Watering hole. They have been open for 35 years, I'm guessing. I hadn't been there in over 25 years... Good food and service, the atmosphere is a little dated. But that's not what you're going there for. They have a menu packed full of beers from all over the world. The Around The World In 80 Beers Passport looks like a good way to sample beers from all over the world. Having a year to complete also makes it manageable for those lighter drinkers. Count me in. Got the “best wings ever” and in-house Gold beer. Although I got the honey garlic wings, I think the way the wings are fried, their crispiness really shone through with their dry rubs! Also, the 5$ beer specials were perfect for getting through an evening with eastern Canadians that have more stories than the Burj Khalifa. Great place to go with indoor and outdoor seating options.

hello dears my name is Susan Collingwoodth I am a seventh generation countess. I came to this bar to play bingo. My great niece and her 'rugby teammate' brought me to get my mind off of my recent breakup. I was in a relationship with a much younger man and he could not satisfy me. The server was lovely and his name was Adam, he seemed to know the menu very well and I appreciate a quick response when I ask about the origins of the poultry used in chicken wings. Bingo was fun and I am extremely good at it but this was clearly rigged. I have never seen such a blatant show of trickery and tom foolishness since I was runner up in the Miss Voluptuous Britain pageant in 1972. The winner, Deborah, ended up a twice divorced alcoholic. Serves her. My dapper was flying and filling in numbers faster than my neighbors diabetic daughter when the ice cream truck comes around. Yet it seemed the same people kept winning. I have written a letter to my local MP. Still giving four stars because the bar tender crafted an excellent white russian for me. May or may not be back in future.

Easiest 5 stars I’ve ever given. First time we’ve been here and it was just so amazing we will definitely be coming back. Ordered a chicken ceaser wrap with yam fries (by recommendation of our waitress) and let me tell you it was so good. The wrap felt fresh and packed with flavour but don’t get me started on the fries, they had to be hands down some of the BEST yam fries I’ve ever had in the city - I don’t know what they put in them but damn. Our waitress was great and they have a beautiful inside along with a stunning patio. Overall a great experience!

Popped in to try a new place in the area and was not disappointed!! The restaurant was very unique and the space was very bright and clean. Our server was very kind and provided great service! The portions of food were generous and everything tasted great! The food came out fresh & hot, the French fries we're some of the best I've had; crispy and seasoned to perfection! I would definitely love to come back and try some of their other items! 😊

They offer the standard pub style menu. Happy hour drink specials are reasonably priced. The second floor dining area requires a few steps to reach it. The staff are friendly and pleasant.

The Hose and Hound Pub is a good spot to check out. I recently stopped by, and their fish and chips were good. They also offer the Pink Velvet beer, which is a nice mix of Wild Rose Raspberry and Velvet Fog. The servers were really nice and pretty quick, making the visit enjoyable. It's a comfortable place with solid food and friendly service.

Have passed this Inglewood establishments many times and finally stopped in for lunch today. The building is a former city fire hall and the decor reflects its former use. The food was good, the service was excellent and the lunch hour atmosphere was quite nice. The sound levels were not loud, at all. I ordered the steak sandwich and my wife had the taco salad. Both dishes were well prepared, with good portion sizes. My one complaint: I asked for my steak to be rare, but it was more medium. It was still delicious and good to eat. They emphasize sports as part of the atmosphere and there were several televisions broadcasting hockey and the Scotties women’s curling. A nice pub-grub atmosphere with a good menu and friendly service. We recommend!

Wings Wednesday was a great experience! Loved the ambience, and our server Meagan was absolutely the best – attentive, friendly, and made the night even better. I'm allowed to take my left over home!!!

Comery Block is easily one of the best barbecue restaurants I’ve visited. I ordered the pork ribs, brisket, beef short ribs, Frito Pie, and burnt ends, and every single dish was packed with flavor. The pork ribs were tender and smoky, the brisket had that perfect melt-in-your-mouth texture, and the burnt ends were rich and delicious. The standout for me was the beef short ribs—absolutely incredible. They were perfectly cooked, juicy, and full of flavor. I’d highly recommend them to anyone coming here for the first time. On top of the amazing food, the service was excellent. My server gave thoughtful recommendations and really made my first visit enjoyable. The atmosphere is relaxed but lively, making it a great spot to enjoy a meal with friends or family. Overall, Comery Block delivers top-notch barbecue with fantastic service. Definitely a 5-star experience, and I’ll be coming back for those short ribs again

We came here during stampede and was able to make a reservation with our big party of 18 for our highschool reunion. They accommodated us perfectly, we were seating in the back outside patio area and the server was super attentive and was able to put everyone on a separate tab at the end which was awesome. Food and drinks was great. Definitely made our experience a memorable one!

My gosh the short rib was amazing! It feeds two people as well. Everything was delicious the ribs, corn bread and their baked beans were home made, really good. They also have a good variety of whiskeys and they serve them in proper glasses!

Legitimate meats. Brisket was so soft and tender that it’s unbelievable. Sides were amazing and I enjoyed the corn bread thoroughly. Good vibes and server Joanne is an absolute babe

The sliced brisket sandwich was AMAZING. I’d go back to have it again. I also tried the creamy slaw and baked bean sides, both were generous portions with delicious taste. We had a large group at an outdoor table and the service and atmosphere were great. I highly recommend!

I've come here a few times over the past five years. It's not a bad spot. It's generally not as crammed as Leopold's. Last night we stopped in for a couple drinks and some food. My girlfriend and I ordered the fried pickle chips and they were outstanding. Firstly they were the right thickness. Secondly, the spice was perfect. And then thirdly, they were fried just right. We were really impressed. The drinks we ordered (house beer and a cocktail) were nothing to write home about but cheap enough I wasn't too concerned. Overall, not a bad spot to start the night!

Came in from out of town and wanted to find a great spot to watch the Blue Jays game. Home and Away was suggested and it didn’t disappoint. Our server Vesta was absolutely phenomenal, didn’t miss a beat. We were so lucky to have her taking care of us. The place was jammed packed and we had top notch h service. The food was perfect and our evening was so much fun. Would highly recommend this place.

Atmosphere was incredible to watch Oilers playoff hockey with the sound on in Calgary! Loved that they had tv and a projector going so everyone could see the game. Our server Maris, was awesome, we never had to wait long for a drink. Food was also super good! The half nachos were the perfect size and we had no trouble with splitting the bills at the end. We came to watch the jays playoff game and had the best time! The atmosphere was amazing and Kate went over the top to take care of us all day. Her service was attentive and she was great at keeping things fun while making sure we always had full drinks. We’ll be back again

I tried their Sweet Chilli Wings, paired with a Raspberry Heatwave cocktail and a refreshing Pineapple Lemonade mocktail. Also couldn’t resist the Buffalo Chicken Burrito, Chicken Tenders, and the delicious H&A Quesadilla — everything was so good! Perfect spot for midweek vibes, good food, and even better deals!

Come here often to catch a game or grab a bite. Always a good time, I always leave smiling. I even did my bday there recently and it was awesome. Staff is super friendly and menu for food/drinks super good and pretty diverse. Definitely recommend stopping in whether it’s for gameday or for a special occasion.

Celebrated a friend's milestone birthday this past weekend! Food is good here especially the chicken wings- S&P and lemon pepper are definitely my favourites! The server- she was amazing...super sweet and went above and beyond to accommodate our requests plus the food came on time despite being a super busy night! Liked the fact that there was a live DJ that played some awesome tracks of all genres-old school and contemporary! Ambience not the best as it was very noisy/loud especially the table across from us! Lots of yelling, screaming just rowdy in general as a result difficult to hear or engage in conversation hence the 4 star rating! Overall a decent night for sure!

Chicken tenders and Badass 🍔 .Also Chicken tacos all dishes very good.. Food came hot. The pub became busy after a little later in the evening. Karaoke nights. The atmosphere....the booths run down and worn. Bathroom very clean.Service and hospitality excellent!!

I'd come here a few times since I moved to Calgary a year and a half ago. Always appreciated Gord at the bar remembering my usual drink, the selection of sports available to watch, and the food was perfectly good pub grub. Checked their website recently and saw it was updated, with a new menu. It was Saturday and the daily special was steak frites, so I decided to try it out while watching playoff hockey. (Note: it was UFC Night so most TVs had that on, along with the sound system). Got there just after the game started and sat myself, waited a few minutes until a server noticed me, asked if I'd been helped yet, then another one came over, gave me a food menu and took my drink order. She brought me my drink, and then disappeared for over half an hour. I saw her hanging out by the bar, and back by the kitchen, but didn't see her working the floor much. It was almost the end of the period and I'd decided I was going to leave at intermission, when I got her attention and she came over. I ordered the steak frites, medium. She brought it out in a timely manner. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe medium is still pink. This was closer to well done, see photo. The place wasn't terribly busy when I left, maybe half full.

Down to earth joint with a fun crowd. Really wish the food taste was better. Fish n chips - the fish was just too oily and the butter chicken was just too “sweet and processed/TV/Dinnery”… will be back though for the drinks and fun times. Service was a bit of a hit n miss.

My friend and I popped into your pub today for a drink and the service was exceptional. Your server, Jillian made us feel very welcome. She was very a attentive, patient and always smiling. She checked on us made sure we were are ok and was always to take additional orders. I would definitely recommend this place. Even though I mentioned it n person, I would like to say a big thank you to Jillian for her service.

This was my first and last time here. I ordered a pick up order for the BBQ mushroom funguy burger with fries and gravy. The burger was disgusting. It was soggy, the toppings where old, the burger patties had fat and grease slime on them. The where also not cooked. The patties where pink. They charge 2 dollars extra for a tiny container of gravy. Tried calling to talk to a manager and he was rude. He said he had no problem with the burgers and maybe it was just mine. Definitely won't be back.

I had the steak sandwich special. It came out quickly and was nice and hot. The steak was cooked very well (not well done). The veg was good as was the gravy, which was only a buck addition. The service was prompt and my server was very pleasant and attentive. I will definitely be back

Awhile back a friend said this was the best place in Calgary for pizza. I have my favorite spot but my wife and I decided to check it out. Long story short, we now have a new favorite pizza place!!! The pizza was amazing! The wings were super delicious! Apparently same owners from 40 years ago, with the same recipe for dough and sauce. I highly recommend this place if you're a pizza lover. I should also mention the service was also excellent. It's rare to get such good service at the table. Thanks Bonasera! We will be back! (Many times)

Decided to go to the pub to watch the hockey game, which is usually a rare occasion. We ended up being very lucky with one of the best waiters we have ever encountered, Nicole W. She was absolutely phenomenal. We never went without a drink, quick to take our order when we were ready for some appetizers, she was on the ball constantly! To go along with her amazing performance, she was also very kind, and had a great attitude! She deserves to be at the top, and rewarded for her hard work!

Took a seat at the bar for what I thought would be a quick Friday brew after work and the service was so exceptional I stayed for dinner and invited my mom for a bite as well! The two lovely bartenders serving me were totally on point all evening, *Shaila* and I forget the 2nd(sorry). I had a few pints with the New York strip that was on special and my mom had the quesadillas. Steak was done to perfection my only critique of the entire evening would be the frozen veggies served as a side. They didn't do the cut justice- I would have preferred grilled asparagus spears or something fresh & simple. I'll definitely be back as a regular!

Our entire team from Masterblade Barbershop had an amazing time at Bonasera Pizza & Sports Bar! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was welcoming and full of energy. The drinks were on point, the food was delicious (especially the pizza!), and the service was top-notch. It was easily one of the best bar experiences we’ve had—perfect for a team night out. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for great food, drinks, and a lively vibe! We’ll definitely be back!

I usually order delivery so not commenting on Servus or atmosphere. The pizza is hands down best pizza in town. A Canadian owned place, which is important these days, you will never find they skimp on ingredients. I usually buy the Hawaiian pizza and loaded with cheese and sweet pineapple and fresh ham. The voila pizza is also best ever as well if want vegetarian type. I do wish they had a 14" pizza for 12" for company just not always enough.

We were here for the superbowl this past Sunday and the service was amazing and so was the atmosphere. Ordered onion rings and riblets for starts and it was really good. Loved the spicy sauce the rings came with. My husband and ordered the chicken sandwich which he said was ok. I ordered the chicken tenders which was beyond amazing and really big portion. Our friend ordered the Mac n cheese. Will definitely come again.

The vegetables with hummus were fresh and delicious. It came with slices of red pepper, cucumber, celery and thick pita bread. I ate it for dinner along with the coconut shrimp, which was also tasty. Both items were on the happy hour menu. I also liked the Kim Crawford Sauvignon Blanc wine from New Zealand. The service was great. The atmosphere is nothing special - a sports pub. Lots of TV screens with loud hockey games.

I ordered the Champion's Burger, which was hearty and flavorful, living up to its name, while my companion chose the Prairie Top Sirloin—a well-cooked, tender cut that showcased quality meat. Both dishes were satisfying and reasonably priced, making it a solid choice for a casual meal. Service by Brynn was attentive and friendly, adding to the overall positive experience.

Food was great as was the service. Place is clean and very spacious. Prices are fair for the portions served. One thing to notice is that Google Maps mentioned it was busier than usual but when I got there there were just a few people.

Brunch was amazing!! Got the eggs Benny’s! Potatoes were cooked very well & the Bagel was very good with it . Will definitely keep coming back .

We came here for the Wednesday cheap chicken wings and it never disappoints. Great value! Great chicken and great atmosphere. Can get loud so be aware ! Great customer service as well!

Showed up for Thursday wing night, rookie level wings. 10 wings at 39 cents each, price is fair, wing size is medium, not fat or skinny. Music isn't too loud, bar is round but too loud to talk across from. About average bar, average price and home style wings for a chef price though. Step up the wing game boys, not my go to wing place for sure. Not the greatest wings , ROOKIE LEVEL :)

My colleague and I had lunch here recently. We thought it was closed with no cars in the parking lot. But it was open and we enjoyed our meal. The server was good and helpful. We enjoyed the daily special. The experience was good. Would come back.

They have wing specials on Wednesday and Thursday. Probably the best bang for your buck in the entire city honestly. Wings are great. We went on a Thursday - place was packed for wing night as expected. But service was still reasonably fast and courteous. It's a great neighborhood pub and there is plenty of parking in the area. Highly recommend their lemon pepper and honey garlic wings. Just be warned that if you arrive at prime evening hours during Wednesday or Thursday, you'll probably have to wait for a table since the place is packed for wing nights.

came here for my 18th birthday on labour day. they immediately took all 15 of us in no questions asked. the food and drinks were absolutely amazing, our server and the bartender provided excellent service. the atmosphere was great! lots of things to do like pool, video games and slots! super great experience here!

The food was great. The service was top-notch, however, I made the fatal mistake of going there on wing night. It was packed to the rafters. I’m not a fan of huge crowds, but I will definitely recommend it to anyone I know.

Also had a small pizza. It was kind of bad. Very soggy. Would not recommend during busy days like wings night. it was a full house with line ups. Stopped in on a post work walk for a pint and a quick bite to eat. As soon as I walked through the door the bar staff apologized there were no spaces at the bar because there was a Flames game on shortly and pointed out a small table by the window that was free. The Guinness was solid, the place is small enough to be friendly, big enough to have a great atmosphere. Serving staff bent over backwards to make sure all was well. Food was hot, fast and tasty. Can't fault the place. Give it a go, I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.

I had a fantastic time at this pub during my stay in Calgary. I was visiting as a tourist and ended up coming here almost every day. The Guinness was poured perfectly, and both the bartender and the wait staff did an excellent job. I was also there during the playoff final, and the atmosphere was absolutely incredible—such great energy! I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Calgary.

In town for a concert and this gem happened to be en route between our spa and Airbnb. The menu was impressive. So many great options it was hard to pick! Beef Dip and Crunchy chicken burger were out of this world. Best fries and house salad/dressing as well. Great beer on tap and we enjoyed the patio vibe. We will be back!

We Happened to stop here with our pup because the place we originally planned to go to wasn’t available. What a great thing that was because we found this little gem! The food was great and flavorful, way above the standard for pub food, even rivaling some places that are considered higher end. The real star of the night however was Sophie! They were so lovely and ensured we were well taken care of. Some of the best service ever, she was truly amazing! Will definitely be returning!

However, I couldn't be happier with the outcome, as the establishment exceeded all expectations and won me over with its warm atmosphere, exceptional service, and authentic Irish charm. Upon entering the establishment, I was greeted by a beautiful waitress who immediately made me feel welcome. Her genuine hospitality was the epitome of the Irish warmth and friendliness that I had heard so much about. Even though I was not a regular, she gave me the VIP treatment from the moment I walked in. The attentive service she provided made my visit truly unforgettable. Though my stay was brief, I couldn't help but take in the cozy atmosphere and inviting ambiance of the pub. The decor was charming and reflected the essence of a traditional Irish pub with its dark wood furnishings, historical memorabilia, and intimate lighting. It was an ideal setting to unwind, catch up with friends, or simply enjoy a quiet drink. Although I didn't have the chance to savor the food, I could tell from the tantalizing aromas and the satisfied faces of fellow patrons that the cuisine was authentic and delectable. The menu seemed to offer a wide range of traditional Irish dishes and pub favorites, enticing me to return for a proper meal in the future. As I reluctantly took my leave, I made a promise to myself that I would return to St. James Corner Restaurant & Irish Pub, not just for the exceptional service, but also to experience more of what this delightful establishment has to offer. Ordered on Skip - figured it's been around a long time, must be good. Nope. I give some leniency for some things with delivery, but that wasn't what this was about. The burger was all around just meh, and the meatballs were not bad. My side of fries was quite small, and the side of gravy I got tasted like curry?? I have nothing against curry, but that's not what I was expecting. Also I don't think they even have anything with curry on the menu, so that's confusing and a bit concerning. Only half of my beef dip actually had much meat on it, though that's likely a blessing considering it was leathery and overcooked. The au jus wasn't a liquid, it was closer to a gravy consistency - not a big deal except that it seemed like they left it simmering for hours, and didn't season it at all. It was like it was just very concentrated grocery store beef broth. Only good part was the bun. Overall disappointing, likely won't try again.

This is by far one of the best places go and get a good steak or any kind of pub food for that matter. Plus they have outstanding bartenders and waitresses with the best prices and shows on a regular basis let Big Al’s Bar & Grill be your stress reliever this holiday or birthday

I popped in for lunch with some friends and had a great time!, the $12 lunch menu is a fantastic value, I had the chicken strips and side Caesar salad. Great portions and the service was pleasant. I'll definitely be back.

Wow is all is have to say about Big Als. Juan was just amazing right from the start helping plan our dads celebration of life. He was so on top of it. The waitress he has assigned for our large group Desire there are truly no words to how amazing she was. Just on top of things like I have never seen before. Our entire group was so shocked with the service she gave us and Juan. Thank you all for a great experience during a very hard time.

DO NOT GO HERE!! 0/10 – Rude, Discriminatory, Unwelcoming My mom, sister, and I saw there was a Saturday wing deal and thought we’d check it out while in Calgary for our Mother's Day weekend. After bringing our drinks (a Caesar, pop, and water), the server didn’t come back for 20 minutes. we didn’t even have menus. We tried to get her attention, but she was busy chatting with the bartender, cleaning a table, and repeatedly serving the people behind us. It’s a small section with only about five tables by the VLTs, so it was clear she was avoiding us. When she finally came back, we asked for the wing special to go since it was obvious we weren’t going to get proper service. She said we couldn’t get the special for takeout and that since my mom had a Caesar, she could only get one order of wings. Because I ordered water, I wasn’t eligible for the special at all. None of this was mentioned on their site or communicated to us beforehand. When she first took our drink order, she even mentioned that wings and pizza were on special...so why not tell us about the restrictions then? When I asked her directly, "So I can’t get the special?" she responded, “Well, you can’t expect to walk in here, not get something, and get the special.” Beyond rude. Would not recommend. We couldn’t help but notice a certain bias. 🧍🏼‍♂️

The place Big Al's Barr & Grill is an amazing pub to enjoy live music and eat excellent food and drinks. Nice people all over the place, enjoy good food & Drink as well as live music. It has very convenient parking.

I've been going to Big Als for many years . Haven't been in a while . A few of my girlfriends and I attended to watch a couple of bands . The service was excellent. Nicky was our server . Big shout out to the chefs as we ordered a couple of platters , they were absolutely delicious. All staff are friendly and greet you with a smile .

We arrived around 9:30 pm on a Saturday, and it was surprisingly quiet. The server was super helpful and greeted us right away. We ordered half and half and cheese fries, and they were both delicious!

I’ve been going there since 2022 when I arrived here as an international student till now my every visit would be a 5 star My friend visited from toronto today and I told him we got this place it’s one of the best chicken’s you’ll ever have in your life. When the order arrived, I was embarrassed to serve it to one of my guests. Maybe it was cause I ordered at 9:30 but even when I ordered a few days ago the drumstick bogo is was really really good. don’t know what happened sauce wasn’t even drizzled they included as a drip and btw this was 43$ including the bulgogi large fries

I came here multiple times during my uni days, it became my comfort food place everytime I go to kengsington area! The service there is very nice, they will always greet you nicely and the manager there is very kind! I highly recommend their cheese fries tho! PLS PLS PLS try it when u come there! You’ll not regret it!! For parking, it’s just hard to find parking there or in kengsington area in general bcs it’s always busy, you gon need to go around atleast once to spot a parking spot but it’s totally worth it!

The big guy packing orders is very rude. Yelling at a delivery driver for standing out of the way waiting. Made me very uncomfortable to watch. The driver said I am fine where I am and don’t need to sit as I sit all day driving. He was so aggressive for absolutely NO reason. Do better Sir Also, both of your business licenses are expired There were only 3 seated tables and 8 or 9 open. This man was arguing about packing an order and then walked away and started to polish cutlery. Continually arguing with the delivery driver, raising his voice and not caring at all for the customers in the place. Horrible attitude. Won’t be back

Food poisoning after ordering off uber eats. I don't know if it was from the salad or chicken. Not happy, this was the only thing I ate yesterday

This is my favourite place for Korean chicken in Calgary. The service was good overall (but took a long time to get water refills) and the food was excellent. Possibly the best fries in the city and the chicken was so crispy yet juicy! The original could have more flavour (tastes mostly like breading) but all the flavoured options were great. My favourite is probably garlic soy, but spicy was really nice too. The interior design of this space is by far the nicest of any Korean chicken restaurant in the city, and the prices are fair too. Will definitely be back!

Music should be in the background and not overpowering so that it is impossible to have a conversation. Been here 3 times now. Food is pretty good, service isn’t too bad, but what prompted me to finally leave a review is two-fold: first of all, I got a pizza with a side of ranch. Ate half the pizza and used all of the ranch so asked for a box with another side of ranch to go because it was homemade and very good. But when I got the bill I saw they charged me SIX DOLLARS for two small ranch dips!! Absolutely criminal. Should be a maximum of $2 per dip. And the second reason is after we paid the bill, we didn’t see our server again for 45 minutes and we were all super thirsty and wanted dessert, but no one ever came back to our table. In future I won’t ever pay the bill until I am ready to leave, because not being served after the bill is paid is really bad service, and really made me regret the $25 tip that I left. For that kind of money I expect to still get served water after I’ve paid the bill. If I’m still sitting at the table, then I still expect service. That’s serving 101. Side note: the Monday 1/2 apps is a good special, but they only have about half of the apps available for the special which is pretty limited. Also, their Tuesday wing special isn’t actually special at all. It’s $9 for a pound which is basically $1 a wing. Not a good wing deal at all.

Foods great they're double cooked wings are famous They have a great gluten-free pizza option. The staff that work here are all so nice and friendly . They have a food special every day . Had the mango salsa with fish tacos, queso dip nachos, dry ribs, deep fried pickles, a poutine, a poutine with bacon, maybe 8 beers and cheese fingers during happy hour. It only came up to $115!! Good for bar food. Our servers were great too. It's a nice neighbourhood sports bar with lots of TV's.

A work colleague took me here today for the first time!! Wow, I didn’t even realize this was the original Moose McGuire’s, just in a different location. Our server, Rachel, was great. Super friendly and knowledgeable! We enjoyed club sandwich and the daily lunch special: vintage burger. We each had the French Onion Soup as our side. This place has an awesome vibe and wasn’t overly busy for lunch. We will definitely be back. Thanks for a great first experience!

UPDATE: MAY 2022 ================= This was my first visit at the new location. As always like the previous location, this one does not disappoint. Great meal for my lady and I. Good tap beer, tasty Caesar cocktails and real fine food. Our server (Helina) was friendly and very attentive. All this in a fabulous atmosphere. Prices were consistent with the inflated economy. We will both return here again and look forward to our next visit. ================================== ================================== I return here often for the fine pub grub and comfy atmosphere. The nachos are always crisp, never soggy and the toppings are always fresh and delicious including the jalapenos. Good tap beer selection. Prompt and friendly staff. I'll be back.

Honestly - pretty standard low end pub fare. But they’re inspiring. One day I want to be so brave as to be able to charge $4 extra to change the side of fries to what is the worst Caesar salad I’ve ever seen like this location does. Boldness like that must really make life better.

It's always a good time coming here. I've been visiting on and off likely for 15 years now and I can only pick out positive things. The food is great, prices decent, staff friendly and efficient, atmosphere is lively but not annoying. I especially like coming for the wings. Plenty of great flavours and the size are decent.

Horrible service horrible overpriced food. I literally waited one hour 10 minutes for my order. It was $25 before tip for a overcooked burger that was missing toppings and dry bag salad that was thrown onto the plate beside it. I feel taken advantage of paying such a high price for such an experience.

Came here on a Monday night with my son. We ordered 30 wings and a caeser salad. Wings are 50 cents each. They waitress’s was so busy she couldn’t even come back and check on us even thought I waved at her several times. She clearly saw us but chose to ignore us. She was pleasant when she finally finally decided to check up on us (30min later ) . One server and one bartender for the whole establishment? I’m wing night? Unacceptable. Out of sheer desperation for time I sent my son to the waitress to place the order of Caesar salad . The hot wings were over cooked and chewy like jerky. The garlic Parmesan were flavourless and super super tiny 😡 The breaded salt and pepper were way tooo peppery even though I asked it to be lightly peppered, they can were still completely covered in pepper and my son could barely eat them. I could barely eat them Croutons in caeser salad were horrifyingly stale and gross . The leaves were soggy and wilted and the dressing was overly bitter and almost tasted rancid . I could not believe people were actually eating it. The garlic toast that comes out with the salad was the only enjoyable treat, but even that was good either . All in all not going back as I couldn’t believe the waitress just chose to ignore us.

Great local pub. Our server was awesome. She was efficient, organized and funny. I also thought the food was great. I had a burger and loved it. The atmosphere is a little dated but that adds to the charm of a local pub.

A good friend of mine and I went to Buffalo.Bob's for Valentine's, believe it or not, and I have to say that the steak was just as good as the Keg. The food was amazing, and our server,and I can't remember her name, but she had brunette hair and was wearing a gray blazer was absolutely phenomenal. Buffalo Bobs is one of my favorite pubs to frequent and and it's just a nice little casual establishment. I would have picked going out for Valentine's to this pub over and Earls or the Keg any day. My friend had never been there before and we will definitely return again.

Went for happy hour on a Thursday night with a largish group. I ordered their happy hour skillet nachos with added chicken and wine. The serving of nachos was definitely larger than the Pig and Duke’s or Royal Exchange and wasn’t lacking in cheese or toppings. Definitely a dive bar in terms of the lack of atmosphere but our waitress, Roxy, provided good service with just the right amount of sass. I hear their margaritas are good so I’ll be back.

Been here in person once for wings, they were okay, the buffalo wings had parmesan cheese on it for some reason and they overpowered the sauce but overall it was decent. This all changed when I decided to order wings delivered by skip today: the buffalo wings arrived with basically no sauce on it and was virtually flavorless. Not sure about other fare but I'd honestly avoid the wings.

I bought wings, I ate three asked for a tog9 box. I already sat here and had a beer was told I couldnt take the food I paid for away. I UNDERSTAND AN INHOUSE SPECIAL. And that you cant order 100 orders. But one order??!!! Crazy disappointed....

Three of us shared a number of dishes starting with Caesar & green salad. Very good but the green had a bit too much dressing for our liking. Sausage was really tasty but a bit over cooked. Now the brisket & ribs were delicious & mouth watering. Well seasoned, needing no sauce. Our server was very friendly & attentive. Great job nice to see!!

I went around lunch time, it was pretty empty so that was good. We were greeted quickly and served drinks. The Mac and cheese was bland, but the brisket was delicious, the sauce was a little too sweet though. The sausage was good and the deep fried pickles were delicious. Crab cakes were forgettable. I tried all the sauces and my favorite was the maple bourbon. This was a good place to have a nice lunch, give it a try!

Solid 4.5. Had such a fun time here. Food was cooked well. Both the ribs and crab were very delicious. A bit pricy for the all you can eat but somewhat understandable. Outside patio needs a few more touches to enhance this to a 5 star experience. I will be back for sure. Just gotta save up so I can eat a few more creatures.

Oh my gosh- if you haven’t actually been to Bookers BBQ and Crab Shack you need to! First off. The Brisket burnt ends- so freaking good. The deep friend pickles. So good. The Crab is so fresh and tasty. You will absolutely not regret going. The first time I walked through the doors I was honestly speechless. It looks like a hole in the wall dive but you walk in and it’s so nice- and the first thing you smell is the meat smokers. You can’t walk in the door and not instantly be hungry. And we’ve never had to wait long for our food. So good.

We stayed across the road at Regal Suites on our visit from Wales, UK 6 days ago. Bookers is amazing. We didn't have a reservation but we wanted food and a table to watch Calgary Flames on TV, they gave us a stool seated table for 2 in front of the bar and TV's, perfect! We ordered 3 different brisket dishes and all were soooooo good. Bonnie the smoking oven and its chef do an awesome job. Everyone was so polite and helpful. Nothing negative to say about this place just some advice as i own a bar myself......Just hold back on the re-approach to table by waitresses. We were asked did we want another drink 3 times within 15 mins, i was only half way down my beer on the 3rd approach. When there is about an inch of liquid left in the glass that's the time to re-approach. Love this place and thank you.

Best BBQ I've ever had! Called and asked for a table for 10 and 2 high chairs, no problem at all! Lots of sitting room, great hostesses and even better servers! Our waitress Michelle was top notch kept our drinks full and made sure everything was good our entire stay. If your in Calgary I highly recommend you try this place out if you want bbq and a fun environment! I'll definitely be back!

We came here on a triple date, and were well accommodated. The service was great, the food was great as well. The portions are good sized, and the jumbalaya in my picture was a half size and was a good sized. The drinks were great. I have a verity. John Daly, Paloma, and hurricane. All were well prepared and easy to drink.

The food here was awesome. Really flavorful, and very homey. Basically upscale home cooking. The service was bizarrely terrible. The gals who came around to the table were extremely friendly and obviously professional and effective servers from what I saw, but they just never came around much. Initially, after we waited about 10 mins after being seated and given water, the gals who came over said we had come during a shift change so there was confusion about who was serving us (the restaurant was not very busy at all - 2 other tables on our level), so that was understandable. But it didn’t improve. Dirty dishes sat for several minutes before being cleared, we waited a long time for the bill, and we were halfway done our meal before anyone checked if we were enjoying it. We didn’t go there with high expectations, and while we enjoyed our food, we certainly won’t be rushing back.

Lovely neighbourhood spot for delicious comfort food in a casual setting. We have been coming here for a few years, and we always leave with happy bellies and big smiles. The food is great, but it’s sometimes inconsistent depending on the day and time. Recently, we dined in on their Monday pizza night, and the place was jam-packed and bumpin’. The pizzas were fresh and delicious - and half off as a bonus…excellent value. The burger, fries, and prawn tacos were pretty good as well, although they have been better when ordered in the afternoon. Our server was super friendly and kind, although more staff would probably help with their availability and attentiveness. If you plan on dining in on their weekly special evenings, give yourself lots of time to sit and relax. The owners are very generous and give back to the community through donations, which we greatly appreciate. Overall, we love 4th Spot, and we look forward to coming back!

Having driven by 4th Spot numerous times, we finally decided to pop in for lunch a while ago. Parking can be a bit difficult to find as there's only a small parking lot and street parking. We started with their meatballs, which had a nice sauce and a generous amount of cheese. The flavour was pretty good and the toasted bread was nice for dipping in the sauce. I found my pasta to be, unfortunately, quite dry. The parmesan cheese was dropped in a pile instead of spread out on top, which ended up sticking together in a blob. As for the green onions - it had no purpose other than acting as a garnish since the flavour didn't enhance anything in the pasta. He also didn't find the smash burger very memorable or particularly outstanding. Overall, we found our experience to be just below average, considering the pros and cons seemed to be somewhat balance each other out.

We are new to Calgary and heard nothing but rave reviews about 4th spot, so of course being foodies we had to check it out. The resturaunt has a nice patio out front and a resturaunt area and a pub up top. We had our 1.5 yr old with us as people stated it is an amazing kid friendly place. We were seated quickly, but it took 10 min for us to get our drink orders in, in which we ordered our food at the same time as our baby was getting tired. The place didn't seem overly crowded but extremely understaffed. Thank goodness I had snacks in my bag for my baby as it took almost 50 min to get our 3 meals. My daughter had the pulled pork mac n cheese it was to die for so delicious! I had the chicken souvlaki on a pita with fries and gravy. My fries were unfortunately cold and my pita was a bit hard but the garlic hummus was 🤤 and the gravy had a hint of sweet flavor to it. My guy had the maple burger it was delicious as well, and unfortunately his fries were cold as well. We just ate them and didn't complain as the server stated they were short staffed. Over all the food was good, but the service could be better.

I had the pizza. It looked good and had a tonne of meat and toppings. But as I got into it the dough was raw. On the table was also the Dave’s Smash burger. It looked great though. They did credit me back on the food. First time there so it wasn’t a great start. But I will go back and try it again.

Devon was a fantastic server/ host. Food was fast ,Hot and flavoursome,like home comfort food. In what we (from the UK) would describe as a typical American/Canadian sports bar eatary. The Airbnb we are staying at just a 30min walk away recommend this spot to us. I'm we might pop back before we fly to our next destination of Toronto. 10/10 5 stars,Thank you

Nice atmosphere and very friendly staff. Sat in the front part of the restaurant which was a bit quieter and perfect for a family gathering. Shout out to our server,Tatjana, employee of the month, who was excellent. Good variety of food on the menu. Happy hour selection is good. Burgers were excellent. Having been around for more than 20 years, it’s an institution when it comes to mouthwatering barbecue, lively atmosphere, and vibrant live music scene. The experience is casual / rustic and not much for frills. As the name eludes, they specialize in slow-smoked meats. The ingredients all seemed to be high quality (according to the semi-pro meat smoking team members I had lunch with) and the portions were enormous. Of the 6 people at our table that ordered the full pound of brisket, only one managed to eat more than half! Not just brisket either, you can get pulled pork, ribs, turkey and a variety of other smoked delicacies including jackfruit … whatever that is. The side dishes are equally as delicious including the bacon wrapped corn on the cob which I would suggest getting a double order of. The lower level seems to be set up for live music performances and more of a bar atmosphere. Haven’t been here outside lunch so can’t comment on what that would be like but I hear they have some pretty epic Stampede events. I highly recommend Palomino for lunch and to kick-off the afternoon nap under your desk at work!

Definitely grabs your attention and leaves an impression right when you walk in. I love the decor in there. I didn't have a chance to grab anything to eat but it definitely smells good and people were enjoying their meals. The entrance to this place is right off of 7th Avenue between 1st Street West towards city Hall. Great place to come and have some lunch or dinner and a few frosty ones. Down in the basement there's another huge space that has live music on the weekends. Overall great vibes I'm glad that I walked in today.

I was last here in 2018 and we had such a great experience when I was back this week with a different group I suggested we had to go here. Unfortunately the quality has declined. Two people in my group found their meal was only lukewarm and my brisket was a bit dry. It was still fairly good, but nowhere near the quality from a few years ago. The waitress was very nice and the atmosphere is causal, comfortable and rustic. Photos compare the meal from now (red checks) to 2018.

Our server, Amy, was amazing. She was so quick and knowledgeable. She helped us decide on our choices and made recommendations. For a bbq place they have some very unique options. Will definitely eat here again. Food and service excellent.

We hired a local guide to walk us around Calgary through tours by locals. When we were done she recommended this place for lunch. The food was very good and the service very nice and friendly. The atmosphere was basically a bar but not that bad. The pulled pork sandwich was very good.

Went for lunch on a weekday with our toddler. Brisket: mediocre, but tasted better with sauce (ketchup, smoked mustard, plus three different BBQ sauces). Garlic fries: fantastic, definitely order these. Green beans: Good, would order again. Sweet tea: 10-12 oz, but half the size they are in the States. No highchairs or booster seats. No diaper change table. Very friendly staff, great service, open kitchen so you could see them prepping food. Shaded patio out back.

Ok, what to say! The best!! It's hard to find good bbq, let alone amazing bbq. This place is one of the best places I've had, the best, every time I eat here. My first time here was back in 2011, got hooked. I'm from Vancouver BC but every time I'm in Calgary, I have to eat here. Almost always get the Alberta cheese steak. It's my go-to. My wife had the pitt boss, slammin! My kid got the brisket sandwich. She destroyed it. Decor is awesome. Music fits the vibe. So, you got to try this place.

Fun place to watch the hockey playoffs! Good food & friendly staff -their beer was good but not cold and the McDavid cocktail was not good- too much flavours going on. Fix the warm beer problem ( maybe frosted glasses would help ) and I would then give 5 stars. Still a great patio

Went for lunch and had a good meal. The breakfast brisket, chicken Caesar salad, and smashed avocado toast. The brisket was a standout, and the salad was solid. The smashed avocado toast was too sour with a lot of lime juice. Service was friendly and a nice street patio.

I was at Trolley 5 a few days ago and had the brisket. As someone with cerebral palsy that affects my right hand, I’m unable to use a knife and fork—so I usually need help with meals like this. But I’m 99.9% sure the brisket was made with someone like me in mind. I could cut it easily with just a fork. And oh my gosh, it was amazing! The flavour was absolutely insane, the tenderness was a dream, and the variety of sauces to go with it? All 20/10. The plate didn’t last 15 minutes—once I started, I couldn’t stop. It meant so much to not only have a meal I could eat completely on my own, but also for it to be so damn good. I’ll definitely be back! Thank you <3

Had always wanted to try this place after driving by it a number of times, and now we live in the area we finally had the chance to try it out. We just wanted a place to eat and to sit out on a nice patio with the nice weather we are finally having. We expected to have just normal/average pub grub but were both so pleasantly surprised that the food is actually awesome - much better than what we were expecting! We have eaten in a lot of places all over and really love our food, so when we are impressed it definitely means we will be returning again. Hubby had the smoke house burger and said the brisket was smoked perfectly and the burger just tasted amazing and loved the fries as well. I had the "hangover special" and it was delicious and also loved the fries. All in all - we were super impressed, thank you, we will be back!!

Best vibes for winding down after Stampede! The service was great, the food was delicious with generous portions, and the variety of craft beers was all on point. Every sip and bite hit the spot!

I had a great experience coming to Trolley 5. The servers were very friendly, and when we had a slight mixup with our order one of the managers JP was very quick to clear things up for my group. It was also very nice that he also made a huge effort to check in with us periodically to ensure we we're having a good time. Great food, great drinks, and a very attentive staff Huge recommend.

We had our wedding on the Main floor of Trolley a couple weeks ago and it was amazing. We were initially bummed that the atrium was not available for our wedding but they assured us we could do it on the main floor and it would be just as great and they did not disappoint! Food was delicious, atmosphere was fun and it turned out having the patio was a perfect addition to a summer wedding for people to cool down and have a quieter place to mingle. Ashley(and staff) had clear communication leading up to our event and wait staff made sure no one had an empty drink! I would definitely recommend trolley for any big event or even just a night on the town.

My friend and I went to happy hour for the first time. Since it was during Stampede, everywhere was busy — and this bar was no exception. But what really surprised me were the happy hour drink prices and the food! Especially the food! There weren’t a lot of options on the menu, but the portions were generous and everything tasted amazing.

What a lucky find! We were searching for a brewery near our hotel and stumbled upon this place just 150 meters away. We stayed at the Residence Inn. It was a no-brainer, and we were absolutely thrilled with our discovery! The beer selection was fantastic; my husband was a huge fan of their Tokyo Drift, and I particularly enjoyed the Hazy IPA. The atmosphere was spot-on – a great vibe with the music at a perfect volume. The food was also delicious. We shared the shrimp linguine (a little pricey and no garlic bread, but tasted good) and the beef birria nachos, this one was generously portioned and paired really well with their green goddess dip. And the cheesecake wrapped in phyllo pastry with a berry compote? Pure genius! It's a must-try. All the servers were friendly, but Jasmine was exceptional. She was awesome and gave us some great recommendations not just for their offerings at Last Best but also for exploring the Calgary area. We loved it so much, we actually came back the following night for another round of craft beers! We'll definitely be back the next time we're in the area.

We went there and Allie was a great waitress. She was able to help us choosing our drinks and we were able to share the finger foods. We really enjoyed the outdoor terrace.

I had an okay experience at Last Best. The biggest highlight was the lively atmosphere on a Thursday night – it was bustling, which added a fun vibe. The happy hour pricing was definitely a plus and made the visit worthwhile from a value standpoint. As for the food, it was just average. Nothing really stood out or wowed me, so if you're going for the culinary experience, you might be left a bit underwhelmed. Overall, it's a solid spot for drinks and a social evening, but don’t expect anything too memorable from the menu.

Great spot for casual drinks and bites. The beer selection is solid—lots of local brews and rotating taps to keep things interesting. We grabbed a few small plates (duck wings were a standout) and everything came out quick and tasty. The vibe is relaxed and a bit trendy, with cool decor and a nice patio when the weather’s good. Good place to hang out with friends or kick off a night out. Would definitely come back.

Gorgeous restaurant, great vibes for a relaxing night. The Cubano and Korean sandwiches are both flavour bombs. The cubano was the best cubano I've ever had including in Miami. Their electric avenue salad is well balanced, and offers a nice sweet, sour and savory profile. Service was fast and friendly, and they have some great beers.

I stopped by Last Best briefly for their burger. The food was decent but not memorable, the place had a decent vibe, so I’d give it 6.5/10.

I had thee best prime beef dip..I wanted more & more. Great flavour, devine! Also, had a bit of the mac n cheese side dish, also, lovely. Hats off to the chef and team pushing out the food here. PERFECTO way to celebrate the first Oilers win tonight!!!! Servers are attentive too, never left w an empty drink 👌🏾

A great local pub for drinks (large choice of beer) food and to watch sports. Our waitress was friendly, efficient and helpful. We ordered a half order of nachos with the spicy boar meat on top. It was plenty to share for 2 people. Very tasty nachos but we would have preferred the meat to be a little more spicy which is why I gave it a 4 instead of 5. I have had the Korean sirloin bites before and they were delicious. Fairly large menu and food is good. Fun spot to go and watch sports.

This place 10/10, got the spud trio for food.. soo good! Good prices, great selection and great location! Our server was fantastic, should’ve grabbed her name but she had deep red hair! We definitely be coming back!!

I ordered your Flame Burger with fries. First of all, the name doesn’t match the reality — it was not spicy at all. But the main issue is with the food itself. The fries were overcooked to the point of being hard, black and dry. The burger patty was exactly the same — zero juiciness, just a dry sole. If it wasn’t for the sauce, it would have been impossible to eat. On top of that, the bun was served cold. Is that some kind of joke? The bun wasn’t toasted, and the top part was completely cold! And there was no ketchup for the fries. I was forced to eat everything dry — dry fries with a dry burger patty. If I ask, you will tell me you have spicy ketchup for $1.50, but I don’t always want spicy ketchup. Would it really cost so much to serve a small portion of regular ketchup with fries? Even McDonald’s gives it for free. I understand that the kitchen was busy — there was a UFC fight on and a lot of people — but that is no excuse to treat food with such negligence.

Extremely disappointing experience. I came in for a beer after work , my first time at this establishment and was met with some of the most unwelcoming service I’ve encountered in years. The bartender was efficient when I first approached the bar, but after being told to take a seat and that someone would serve me, things went downhill fast. My server was noticeably rude from the start. The moment I mentioned I wasn’t ordering food, just drinks, her tone changed entirely. When I asked for another round, I was met with an eye roll. And when I requested the bill, there was no verbal acknowledgment, just the debit machine slapped down on the table and left without a word. I’ve worked in hospitality for over six years, including four as a server, so I understand the pressures of the job. But this wasn’t just a bad day.... it was a complete lack of professionalism and basic courtesy. After mentioning the experience to friends, I found out this isn’t an isolated incident. Apparently, rude service is a recurring issue here. Not a good look, especially for a first-time guest!! I won’t be returning and I certainly won’t be recommending this place to anyone. Absolutely not worth the attitude! There are too many places in this city that understand the meaning of hospitality, this one clearly doesn’t. If basic respect is too much to ask, maybe it’s time to reconsider who’s representing your business. If this is your standard of service, I’m genuinely shocked you have regulars at all!!

After not seeing my wife for awhile, we made our way to this wholesome neighborhood pub. The lovely lady who served us was very attentive, the Wednesday wings were lovely and the atmosphere is modern and inviting so I would highly recommend this place if you are hungry for wings on a Wednesday or any time. Thank you nice waitress lady and to my beautoful wife for making this soirée memorable.

It had been a few years since we had been, so we thought we’d go back and try the brunch on the street patio. It was an enjoyable meal. It’s lovely to have businesses like this in our community. The service can’t be beat here. We overhead at a nearby table where they forgot to key in the order, causing it to be delayed. The waitress profusely apologized and covered the cost of that dish for those folks. Talk about taking care of their customers to make it right. Top notch.

Went to the pub for dessert and ordered 1 of each that was on the menu, sticky toffee pudding and Nanaimo bar cheesecake. They were $13 each, the sticky toffee pudding was banana bread with the smallest amount of caramel sauce and ice cream, the Nanaimo bar cheesecake came in THE smallest jar, it was warm, powdery and the crust base tasted old. However our experience despite the desert was awesome thanks to our server Sarah, she was awesome! The atmosphere was top notch as per usual.

Our recent visit on Wednesday evening left much to be desired. The service provided by the staff was not characterized by kindness. Furthermore, the culinary offerings were generally unremarkable, with the exception of the double smashed burger, which we found to be excessively oily and unsatisfactory.

Kensington Pud is - well -a very traditional British style pub. At least as imagined by someone who has never been to England. It's very cosy and old in tone. I had a Steak Pie and it was great! They also pull a great pint of Guinness. One thing to note is the pub is not setup for groups over four to sit at the same table. You could grab a section for about eight. Regardless - Recommended.

The haddock is AMAZING. 10/10 Coleslaw was flavourless 2/10 Peach drink (clearly not a Bellini but you could help by adding what peach drink it you have in your reply). All Prosecco and no peach 3/10 Waiting for the server was the worst part of the experience. It was slow, mid day and we were told to sit at a booth. We waited nearly 20 minutes before we got drinks or menus. Then another 20 for her to come back to order.. food came decently, but then after we were done, she took our food, our drinks and we waited another 20 minutes for the bill. That haddock though, I'll probably order to pick-up next time I'm in the area! It was delicious. Also why only mention the drink, and not the poor service???

Came and had the Beef and Yorkshire pudding and a side of fries. The beef and the gravy were good but everything else was a disaster. The Yorkshire was overdone, way past golden brown and was completely hollowed out leaving just an overdone crust. The vegetables were 90% raw as though they had just been sautéed for a minute instead of blanched/ par cooked beforehand. The mashed potatoes were super weak, zero flavour and had the most odd watery consistency, as though they were from a packet and had too much water added to them, first time I’ve tried a starch-flavoured slushie. The fries were decent but completely unseasoned. No amount of gravy can cover up your crimes towards vegetables. Beef was good though, so good job on that.

Enjoyable environment, we really loved the Japanese steak and rice on the shareable starters menu. The Calamari I found soggy and cold. Unfortunately, we were on a time limit for a local event so we could not find out what the Calamari would be like fresh out of the kitchen - which the waitress had offered to us. Reputable non - Bavarian German Beers are not a thing here. I figured I could find a good Alt or Kölsch here. Absolutely delicious! I ordered the fajitas, and I genuinely haven’t had fajitas this good in years. Perfectly cooked, full of flavor, and such a satisfying meal. I was so pleased ... highly recommend!

This is a local spot for us. Great place for drinks on the patio. Lots of Choices for all kinds of beers wines cocktails and Food. We went in happy hour after 5pm lots of places to sit still.The Food , Beer is Good and service was great. Recommend.

We recently had quite the experience here with Jimmy and our server, Riley! Originally, we ordered three meals for the three of us. There were a few kitchen hiccups, but Jimmy noticed and came over to the table to address them before we even had a chance to say anything. They brought out the corrected orders promptly—and honestly, it was some of the best food we’ve had in a while! We got the fish and chips (amazing tartar sauce), mac and cheese (real cheese and bacon—OMG), and a burger (super full and juicy). While chatting, we found out that all their food is made in-house, and you could totally tell from the quality of everything we were served. I had a strawberry mojito that was perfectly sweet and looked absolutely beautiful. 🍓🍃 The menu had a great variety—we all ended up finding multiple things we wanted to try. Riley, our server, was so kind and attentive the entire meal. Highly recommend for a great night out—family or otherwise! :)

This was my first time at one of the World Bier Haus locations and I had been really looking forward to it. I was so disappointed overall with the food and drink. The sangria came in a very small glass and was extremely average tasting compared to many other restaurants. The chicken tenders were again average, both in taste and presentation. The yam fries looked a little better.and were okay. Truthfully, other restaurants in this category have far better tasting options and significantly better presentation. My table mate’s bowl looked a little better, but it wasn’t that flavourful. I won’t be back. I really wanted to like this restaurant but overall value and tasty food at this price point fell short. I simply cannot recommend it with so many better options available. I would suggest to the management that they go to some of the other restaurants in their price point category and they will see what I’m talking about.

I haven't been to 722 since last summer, we were so disappointed. The food was good but the service was horrible. We waited for our drinks , had to remind her of what we ordered. Then when our food came it was like pulling teeth to get utensils the salsa, guacamole, napkins. We finally had to just walk up to the bar to get the rest of our order. Our waitress was out to lunch... It was not busy.. 4 tables on our side. Definitely would not return.

Kitchen issues spoiled an otherwise good experience. Some of our meals were not prepared to our liking or to the standard of the restaurant. The manager and the waitress were helpful in trying to resolve the issues. The place deserves a second try.

Food was terrible. We went here for lunch one day and the chicken wings were horrific. They were so dry and tasted like cardboard. They tasted like they were fried earlier and then fried again to warm them up. I ate 2 of 8 wings and left the rest on my plate. The prices are also outrageous for what you get. Probably the worst restaurant I have ever been to. Definitely would not go back. The owner responded to my husband claiming we ate almost everything, that is a lie, we sent back almost everything. Please don't lie, people have phones, people have pictures. The food is horrific and the other reviews speak for themselves. Your employees look miserable, you should treat people better. If you lie on your responses Google reviews, I can only imagine how you treat your employees that they look so unhappy to be working there. We were nice to our server because she was nice to us and we told her the food was horrible. We also told her it was not her fault as she is only bringing it out to us, it's not like she cooked it herself. Since ownership has changed the Google reviews got bad. Thank you for confirming that the ownership changed 2 years ago, because it goes along with when the bad Google reviews started coming in. 😀

Went for lunch, and it was a bit blah. The fries and gravy where cold. I had the turkey hot dip sandwich. Not hot and the crispy fried onions would have been lovely if at least warm. The cranberry gravy was a saving grave Even though it also was tepid not hot, it was extremely tasty. We also order the Canadian burger and again almost cold. We did wait for an extremely long time from ordering to getting our food. The service was ok but slow. The server was alone but the place was almost empty. Such a pity as if it had been hot it would have been a great lunch. As everything looked great just cold

The food was flavorless. Son got mac and cheese, no salt or cheesy flavor. Other son got a cheeseburger, very over cooked and hardly any cheese. Wife and I got wings which were completely over cooked and the sauce was incorrect. We got nachos and they were stale and barely any cheese. I got poutine aswell, it was okay but there were no cheese curds, just shredded mozzarella. Also there is no need for the green onion as a garnish....it's a poutine. Lorainna was a great server. She made the experience. The bartender looked like he did not want to be there. Made my old fashioned very lazily. I don't blame him, based on previous reviews there was an ownership change and he doesn't seem happy. Never coming here again and I do not reccomend.

Food is mediocre, leaves an unpleasant after taste. Food tends to be over seasoned. Since the bar changed ownership, it has gone downhill. Nota bene, correct, the food is the same as when under the previous ownership. I had commented to the previous owner on numerous occasions. We came back to see if it had improved, unfortunately it had not. It could be a really good bar if some effort would be put in. As it stands now, it is looking worn and rune down, and starting to get that old, dirty grease odour when sat in proximity to the kitchen.

The restaurant and bar have another owner and the place has gone down hill. The entrance as soon as you walk in looks run down, and it isn’t the same since Mike owned the place. My wife and I went there on July 19/2025 and my steak sandwich came cold and it was not worth the money we paid, floors are very dirty and I’d hate to see what the kitchen looks like. “NOT WORTH THE MONEY YOU PAY”

A good Irish Pub would be the best description. Their flat breads are good, and the Thai cashew bowl is good as well. The chicken pot pie was pretty good as well. Their beer cocktails like the crown float is a must try. The best part about them would be the dry tube. Probably one of the best dry ribs I've had from Calgary. Definitely a good place to hang with family or friends!

Kilkenny has been in this location for a very long time. It's a bit off the beaten path, tucked into the back of the mall. They're undergoing renovations outside right now and we were told they will be renovating the interior soon. They specialize in British fare and their food is very good. The scotch egg was cooked well, and the sausage was beautifully spiced. The steak and Guinness pie had an amazing crust and the beef was tender and well seasoned. We're looking forward to seeing the renovations toward the end of the year.

Staff were very friendly and attentive. However the food volume of the chicken and mush was too small. I got the two potatoes from my friend who ordered a pork belly sandwich.. There came with only a piece of thin pancake stuffed with some ckicken and mushroom bits.. I had to order a pizza as well.. for the total of $50 I can definitely get more better brunch options in Calgary...

Monday here is wing night 49 cent. The size of the wing was a little small but delicious. I wanted to eat pretzels but couldn't because they were sold out, and the beer was delicious. Most of all, the staff was so friendly. The atmosphere is also very nice.

Honestly the whole experience was not great. Our waitress was trying I could see that. But I don’t know if they were severally understaffed or what was going on. I stood at the front door for a long time just to figure out where our reservation table was. The table didn’t have enough chairs we went and found some ourselves. I had to ask for water 3 times. It took forever to order. I finally got my pizza and there was hair baked into it. I was pretty turned off at that point… I won’t be back….

My wife and I got married last weekend. Kampus was able to accommodate us and our large wedding party to come in for a celebration drink. We are very grateful and this place will forever hold a special place in our hearts. Thank you Kampus Brewing Co.

This place is booming on Friday nights!! The food was surprisingly amazing definitely upgraded from before the renovations. My partner and I haven’t been here in a year and this was where we had our first date! Loving the cleaner atmosphere. Feeling nostalgic, tipsy, and hella satiated!

Amazing! Having rebranded to the Kampus Brewing Company the restaurant was bright and welcoming. Fresh paint, tons of seating to include a huge patio, and great servers like Odessa, you can't go wrong. I ordered the Forestiere Eggs Benny medium poached and topped with arugula with a small salad and duck fat potatoes. AMAZING!! My friend had the traditional eggs Benny. His looked just as amazing as mine and he claimed it was. He ordered the house made IPA and said it was also to die for. We will be back! I suggest everyone go there as well.

Had a decent time at Jamesons their food is freshly made and even had a live singer on our visit. The drinks on tap that I tried was also yummy. Good value during happy hour as well

March 17, 2023 Went for the special St. Patrick day breakfast at the Brentwood Jamesons pub location. They do not skimp on proportions. The amount of food they deliver on the plate for the St. Patrick day breakfast special was alot! Some friends had the special. They liked it. It was a whole lot of food. I myself had the fruit and pancakes which was delicious. Managing lots of food but manageable. Service was good and for an expected busy day this location was well staffed with friendly servers.

We were a party of three visiting this location on the recommendation of some friends who reside in the area. We are very thankful for the recommendation as it was simply fantastic! As with almost all my reviews, it's the staff who make or break the customer service experience, Once we seated ourselves, we were greeted with someone who was outgoing, very friendly and even more attentive. From our food orders to checking on us throughout the meal, she knocked it out of the park! Good food? Check. Great people? Check. Great service? Check. Just loved it and very much looking forward to many return visits!

A Decent Experience at Jameson Pub Last weekend, my three friends and I decided to pay a visit to the Jameson Pub for a casual dinner. We each ordered different dishes, allowing us to sample a variety of the pub's offerings. For my meal, I chose a mushroom-stuffed burger accompanied by a side of fries. The burger itself was quite tasty and juicy, but the bun was unfortunately a bit too soggy for my liking. In terms of service, our waitress was just okay. We had to specifically request water, as she would not have brought it otherwise, and her demeanor lacked warmth – perhaps the result of a long day. When it comes to parking, I can only give Jameson Pub a 2-star rating. Finding a spot was quite challenging, which was a frustrating aspect of our visit. On a more positive note, the interior ambiance was decent – we could easily have a conversation without shouting over the noise. The restrooms earned a solid 4 out of 5 stars. They were clean and well-maintained, which is always an important aspect of any dining experience. Overall, I would rate Jameson Pub 3 out of 5 stars. The food was enjoyable, and the ambiance was acceptable, but there is definitely room for improvement when it comes to service and parking.

On Monday we went to Jameson's. We both had the daily special, the steak sandwich. It was one of the best steak sandwiches I have had. Cooked perfectly. Most definitely will be going back on a Monday

Was in the mood for some good fish & chips so I googled close by and found Jamesons Pub. I ordered Caesar and fish & chips. The fry’s were delicious, seasoned well, crispy and hot. The fish was delicious and hot, however a little over cooked especially in some places. The Caesar tasted a bit watery. The food came nice and hot and flavoured well so I would recommend , just maybe not the Caesar😅

Jamesons is one of my go-tos for wings! They’ve got so many flavors, but the Greek sauce is my absolute favorite. Their drinks are also good! I love the Moscow Mule and Cactus crushable. The last time I was there, Anna served us. She was amazing and took great care of us.

Real Draft and Great foods in here to stay. I really recommend “Fish and chips” and wings here. I was here around 10Pm yesterday and my server is GOAT! I’ll coming again!!!

Met a friend for Sunday all day happy hour. Nice day for the patio but we opted for the cool at the back of the pub. Really good wings and on special, everyone liked the avocado hummus. Dakota was very friendly and attentive. Kept refilling water and pop even after we paid the bill and lingered for another hour.

I've been to this pub a few times. The food is great and I like their beer selections. The prices are very reasonable. I'll definitely continue coming back!

We haven’t even eaten yet and I already feel compelled to leave a review — that’s how above-and-beyond the service has been. It’s absolutely pouring outside, the place is completely packed thanks to an MMA fight, and we waited tucked in a corner for quite a while (they are slammed). But the staff never missed a beat. Despite the chaos, they were warm, attentive, and genuinely doing everything they could to make sure everyone felt taken care of — including us. It’s rare to see this level of hustle and hospitality, especially on a night like this. Can’t wait to try the food, but the service alone has already made a great impression.

Tried to book online, but we were never contacted. So, I called the restaurant directly to book, explaining it was for a birthday party. They asked me if I wanted balloons, as they wanted to decorate for the occasion. When we arrived, they had no balloons, and they had reserved an 8 top, and seemed upset that we were only 6 people instead. Our server just did not want to communicate with some people at our table, particularly the father of the birthday girl. She would take his order last, bring everyone's drinks, leaving him to have to inquire about his beverage. Everyone got their food, again, he didn't get served for a few minutes. She never smiled, never made any attempt at small talk, and didn't seem to know the menu when we tried to order. She asked to have us cash out as she was leaving, which we agreed to do. She promised that another server would check on us. No one ever did, but she continued to work, and serve other tables. Disappointed, as the birthday girl was raving about the food and awesome service.

Afternoon happy hour for wings and drinks - the dill pickle wings here are amazing! We also tried smoked tequila lime (sauced) and buffalo wings. We enjoyed all the flavours, but especially the dill pickle. I also ordered the steak sandwich on special and it was delicious. Tender, perfectly cooked to medium rare on a yummy slice of garlic bread. I got a side caesar salad and the dressing didn't have much "bite" from garlic or lemon, seemed to be mostly mayo. They need a better dressing recipe! All in all, good food and a good time on a weekday afternoon

Avoid Juliet’s Castle for “All You Can Eat” Wing Night – Misleading Policy I would strongly advise against going to Juliet’s Castle for their Monday night “All You Can Eat” wings special. The promotion is advertised as $15 for all you can eat, but there’s a hidden catch: you’re required to purchase a drink every single time you want to place another order of wings. This completely defeats the purpose of an “all you can eat” deal. Most people reasonably assume that the $15 price covers unlimited wings—maybe with the expectation of buying a single drink—but not being forced to order a new one with every round. That adds up quickly and feels more like a bait-and-switch than a value deal. It’s also not realistic or healthy to expect customers to consume three or four drinks (especially alcoholic ones) just to enjoy multiple rounds of wings. This policy should be made clear upfront so patrons aren’t blindsided after sitting down and ordering. If you're looking for a genuine all-you-can-eat wing night, I recommend checking out Bootleggers on Thursdays. It’s slightly more expensive (around $17), but you only need to buy one drink, and then you’re free to enjoy as many wings as you like—no gimmicks.

The food was super good, but took well over half an hour to receive. Me and my friends sat at a table for practically the entire night and we got a waitress only towards the end of the night sadly. Constantly having to go to the bar then wait around 10 minutes for a drink was annoying, But over all i guess its a cool place.

Juliette’s Castle is basically the Swiss Army knife of nightlife. Pool? Check. Foosball? Check. Karaoke? You bet. Latin dancing? Oh yes—bring your hips. Hookah lounge? Got it. Sports bar? All the screens you could ever need. Honestly, if they added mini-golf, I wouldn’t be surprised. The crowd is just as mixed as the entertainment—sports fans, dancers, singers, and people just here for the wings (which are dangerously good). It’s like walking into a big, loud, happy family reunion—except you actually want to be there. Yes, it can get wild. Yes, you might lose track of your friends in the shuffle. But that’s just Juliette’s Castle magic: you come for one thing, you leave with five new stories to tell. And maybe a karaoke video you’ll regret tomorrow.

Called in about their wing special and the guy on the phone said yes it’s until 2am and the kitchen is open until 2. Drove 30 mins. Came in and they say it ends at midnight. The manager short Indian man wouldn’t honor anything, so I walked out. It’s not about the price, it’s about the principle. As a manager he could have easily made up for his employees mistake. Definitely needs some hospitality training. Will never come here.

Went there for the wings, on a Saturday after work. Typically, they are 1$, but they were 55 cents(if i remember correctly). I know i got a parmesan something, and uh Cajun dry rub. Both were good, very fresh(so careful not to burn your mouth!). You'll need toonies to play pool or air hockey. There are 3 pool tables and 2 air hockey tables(I forgot). It was a lot of fun, the waitresses were very nice, and pretty! We became addicts to the Red Velvet cake. Yummy.

My boyfriend and I have come here several times and it’s usually really good. Tonight was a different story. Beer was flat, our waitress forgot to put in our order which had us waiting for over an hour for our food. We order Pizza and Wings, the wings were great as always, but the pizza 🍕gave us a good laugh, we ordered the Greek delight which was supposed to have spinach, instead the kitchen put iceberg lettuce 🥬 in our pizza. When we complained about it they tried to convince us that it was a different kind of spinach lol 😂. It was 10000% iceberg lettuce. Was not impressed with this place tonight, they could have at least given us a discount or something, didn’t seem to care about the feedback. Major let down Juliet’s.

The service was really good and the waitress was awesome! Our drinks were never empty. The food was good. We had wings and the price was good for the serving of wings. That said, the place was a bit rundown, and our table must have had a couple drinks because it was wobbling all over. Lol

I love this place, the food is excellent. My father-in-law, who came from Venezuela last month on vacation to Calgary, loved it too. Every now and then I wanted to go there to eat. We loved that they have a menu for everyone, even my wife who is gluten and lactose intolerant. We loved their burgers and salads. The attention of the place is good, it could be improved, there are days that depends on who attends you gives you better attention than another. But in general terms, it is fine.

One of our fav bars in Calgary! Staff is super nice and helpful. They have gluten free beer, two options IPA and lager. For food the gluten free options are more limited, but I could have tacos and those were delicious. Will come back!! Poutine is not gluten free, I couldn’t try, but my partner loved it.

I’m so sad I forgot our server’s name because she was amazing! She was wearing a black hat and handled everything so well, even though it was really loud inside on a Saturday. We only waited about 5 minutes to be seated, which was great considering how busy it was. The food was delicious especially the mac & cheese, and I absolutely loved the fish taco. I’ll definitely be coming back again soon!

Happy hour is fabulous. Had white wine, and first time to try a Scotch Egg. Absolutely amazing! Bartender was attentive and pleasant. Highly recommended.

Came here on a Friday with friends. We ordered the nachos, popcorn chicken, wings, fully loaded Taquitos and the blackened chicken chiabata. Overall the food experience wasn’t the best. The fries with the blackened chicken was over cooked and not nice at all. The popcorn chicken had a weird taste to it…can’t explain but did not like the sauce flavour. The nachos were mediocre. I had the taquitos and they were sooooo good. 5/5 for sure. The service was good, I loved the atmosphere and the location. The sours we had was also really good. The music did get a bit too loud. Overall I would come back to try other dishes but wouldn’t expect an amazing dish to be honest

Cool spot, art and individual pieces on the walls were fun to look at. Good food & drinks. A little pricy towards other places we ate and drank at but overall good experience

My wife and I visited this place a couple of times for lunch. The ambience has always been chill and laidback and the service is prompt. I ordered the juke burger on every occasion and it’s fantastic. They have a good selection of beers and gin. I would definitely recommend this place for a chill relaxed time if that’s what you’re looking for.

I went to eat at this place I ordered a beef dip sandwich accompanied by regular fries, and the potatoes were really horrible, hard and dry, they looked like wooden sticks 🙁🙁🙁🙁 and the waitress was not an unpleasant person with us, she had no good disposition for that reason I did not complain to her for the bad accompaniment of my sandwich 🥪 I just left it there. The atmosphere of the place was good, they were playing bingo and there were plenty of people.

Came here on a Saturday night because of a recommendation from a friend. I was told that the steak sandwich was popular, so I thought I'd give it a try. As you can see (or maybe not see in the attached photo as it's obscured by the onion rings), it's the smallest steak sandwich I've ever had. Having said that, it was flavorful, and I would have gladly paid more for a larger portion. After the mini steak, I decided to order a small Hawaiian pizza to fill the gap. When it arrived, it looked like a blackened pizza. Another guest at the table who has been there before said, "I'm surprised they served that to you because normally it looks a lot better." To top it off, the pop was flat and it was so syrupy sweet I'm not sure if it was actually Coca-Cola. Maybe they had an off night, but there are so many other pubs that have consistently good food and beverages that it would be hard to justify a return trip. On a positive note, the chicken wings that my guest ordered were a decent size and were on special that night, so that was good.

We went here on a Friday night and was extremely happy with the food and service. I believe our servers name was Camille? I just remember she had curly blonde hair. Very nice and attentive. She kept checking on us to make sure we were okay, even came by multiple times to check if our drinks needed refills. The food was really good too, we had the fish & chips and pizza. Overall had an amazing experience and would definitely come back.

I came for the 6 vlt video gaming machines and won some money. Eat a Great Burger 🍔 I met a cool bartender and her service was outstanding!! New friend named Louis ☆ it was a great evening in this hidden gem I really think you should come check it out ♡ I give it 5 stars just because of the overall experience I had there .

Cool place. They have a server that's obviously on coke. She just seemed very un-socially aware. Have been there loads in the past. The impression of visiting again after 8 years is pretty sad. Just off one employee. Foods nice tho!

Hadn't been here in 4 years. I have missed out! I immediately recognized Carina our server, it's a good sign she has been there for years. The Thursday offer is incredible: a 12" pizza and a pitcher of beer for $25. There isn't a better offer in Calgary! See pics. To be fair, they will be putting the price of that special up, and so they should ... it was embarrassingly good for the money! The pizza was PHENOMENAL. As was Carina. The place has a warm homely vibe. Try it, I hear all the food is great.

They have an everyone can join in game night, as well as karaoke. Not a lot of VLTs 5 to be exact. Staff are friendly if you can find one. Food is great though, especially the chicken wings. Weekend usually packed.

In hindsight, the food was greasier than I remember. The brisket especially tasted like it was swimming in lard. The pulled pork and all the sides were decent however. It's the shrimp and grits we keep coming back for. The grits tasted richer, creamier than our preference but a banger still. On the fence about returning.

Imagine this situation: my wife and I are from out of town, it was 11:40pm on a Saturday night, we were in central Calgary and were absolutely starving after finishing a day jam-packed with activities at the Stampede fairgrounds. We counted our lucky stars to have found this amazing place. It was still open, with a decent crowd enjoying live music being played in one corner of the restaurant. There was red mood lighting everywhere. We reclined in the back corner and ordered a super late dinner. Most of the barbecued meats were still available, and there was an impressive selection of sides. We had a half pound of Brisket, half pound of Pork Belly, Brisket Pimento Mac-n-Cheese, Cornbread, Broccoli Salad, Green Bean Salad, and Spicy Fries. Everything came in a large tray and we washed it all down with lovely local craft beers. It was a proper feast …consumed at the least proper time of day. But perhaps that’s why we loved it so much.

This place was amazing, the food was cooked perfectly, the server Victoria was on point, answered all questions quick and efficiently, as this was our first time here. She was attentive and friendly as well. The place it self was pretty cool, smells of food and bbq filled the air, everything you'd expect from this type of establishment. The drink options were endless and the price was less then expected as well.

Ridiculously impressed with the food and service. Notice - we do always sit at the bar Yurii was our server. We adored the apricot pork belly. Deep flavour cooked perfectly. The brisket Mac n Cheese was flavourful and executed as it should be. Pork ribs had a dry rub and were amazing. This is Calgary’s best brisket, crust flavour and finish. The corn bread this hurts to say - as good as MINE home made. Get here. There is everything possible from the bar as well even proper wine.

Been to Hyden block and now South block. Loved the experience, delicious food and good beer. Brisket was a bit dry, but beef fib, burned ends and pork belly made up for it. Our waitress, James, was very attentive and friendly! Overall, great place, will come again!

Wish we had a place like this in BC! Blueberry burnt ends were amazing! So many drinks to choose from but went with their own brews.. sooo good! Turkey, shrimp brisket were all great.. even the fries! Carrie the waitress was fantastic!

Really delicious food and cocktails! The staff were all friendly and fun. The gluten free menu was great and I had zero reaction with my celiac disease. Will be back to try more of their super huge whisky menu!

I requested fish and chips as my meal choice. They made it quickly. I liked the dish. The sauce was so good and the coleslaw was fresh, not from the bag. I liked chips too. I went there on Sunday and the restaurant wasn't crowded. The waitress gave just only one menu for the 2 of us. And I was thinking that I needed the menu too.

The unicorn The place is really fun lively. It was a good place to watch the Olympics. We loved the ambience. Jessie was nice. Let me tell you that the nachos were not worth $32. We ordered meat which there was barely any and I’m not sure what the green dye or the red dye. I’m sure it’s really healthy for you, lol. They charged us three dollars for extra salsa! I would never order those nachos again, but I would head back there to go have a beer and a second. I WOULD RECOMMEND

We went to the basement which had live music for free.. the service and food was good. Love this place. Friendly and welcoming. We had some canned beers and the chicken Antojintos. It was flavourful and really enjoyed it with the dipping sauce.

The pub had great food and a nice atmosphere, but I was a little disappointed. When my friend and I (who isn't Canadian) tried to place a second order, the server kept checking on other tables and completely ignored us. It felt like she was ignoring us on purpose. Even when I made eye contact with her, she didn't come over. I liked the atmosphere, which was full of sports fans. On the other hand, the server's indirectly racist attitude was disappointing.

Great place with 3 different levels. Pub food was good and fast. Cute unique cocktail too. Loved the Purple Unicorn drink.

I came here for the All You Can Eat Wing Thursdays. NOTE it starts at 3:00pm. That time is strictly enforced. Once the time came the wings were actually quite good. There were dozens of flavours. You can order as many as you want with different flavours as long as you eat them all. I started with 2 orders and enjoyed them so much that I ordered 3 baskets 🧺 after that. The menu for the wings is on the table and in pretty small font so it can be difficult to read. Our server, Amanda did a decent job. She was attentive without being intrusive and knowledgeable about the menu items. The restaurant is actually quite clean and has multiple pool tables and VLTs. It would be a great place to come and hang out with friends. The left sink in the men's washroom 🚻 is broken with a big crack in it with no hot water. Perhaps the right hand sink is better? Watching the various sports on the multiple screens was nice too. It is a huge place and offers lots to do. You can even access your BITCOIN at their special ATM 🏧 if you want. Pretty up to date place. Lots of free parking all around it too.

My friends and I went to Bootleggers last night to celebrate my birthday and have a get-together. Since we’re Asian and often look younger than our age, we understand the need to check IDs, so we showed ours. However, one of us forgot their ID and had to go all the way home to get it, even though they mentioned they weren’t asked for it during their visit last week. We respected the rule and complied. After that, we thought everything would be fine, but when we tried to order, most of the servers ignored us. Even when we spoke to the manager, he didn’t seem to care. We waited over an hour before the manager returned and asked for our IDs again—for the third time. After showing them yet again, we were finally able to place our order. However, our food took over an hour to arrive, even though the place wasn’t busy, with only a few customers. We also noticed the manager pointing at us and talking to his staff, which made us feel uncomfortable and singled out. His treatment felt discriminatory and was very upsetting. On a positive note, the waitress who served us was very nice, but her kindness couldn’t make up for the poor management and the way we were treated. We followed all the rules, but instead of a celebration, we left feeling unwelcome. Because of this experience, we won’t be returning to Bootleggers.

Saucy wings ( DRY ) so disappointing, I took my husband there for the first time and chicken wings are not so good as before. Just to be my #1 but not anymore... Service was great.

I liked that you can play 🎱, it also has an atmosphere for karaoke 🎤 but the attention was very poor, the waitress was very distracted and in the end she left us waiting while she was at another table taking shots, that was not nice since we were waiting for her a long time to be able to organise the payment. He gave us a unitary account without asking if we wanted to pay all together, to solve everything he left us while he went to drink shots /: Everything else was fine 👌

Very bad service, no one attended us until the first 30 mins and when waitress showed up, she brought drinks after 15-20 minutes. The waitress who took my order, literally took another 30 minutes to show up just to tell us that it will take some while for her to bring our food. I had to leave the place. I'm not recommending anyone do not waste your time.

The wings here were great! There were so many options that if you didn’t like one you could get a completely different flavour a couple minutes later! Out of my experience, we have had a great waitress and a not very good waitress, sometimes they don’t come by the table enough!

Stopped by for lunch, wasn’t sure what to expect but it definitely didn’t disappoint. The food was amazing. Had the steak sandwich and the individual nachos. Our server Amanda hit it out the ballpark. She was amazing!!!!!! Definitely recommend.

Decided to drop by after an evening of fun with friends to get some pub food in our tummies. Very nice atmosphere and decor, staff was very friendly and attentive, and the food was on par with most good pubs I’ve been to. Good selection of shareables and sandwiches/burgers. Design of building and interior made it easy to have a conversation even though it was packed for the flames game. Will definitely be coming back the next time we are in the area.

Anita greeted me at the door and was my server she's the best server here She's very friendly and accommodating. From my experience Just in general a Great group of servers and great attitude & atmosphere, which is very important to me when spending hard earned money at a bar. Very clean inside. Almost all night clubs or bars have graphiti or dirty toilets and I'm sure the guys out there know exactly what I'm talking about. But not here. And prices are very fair. I ordered a steak sandwich on special which was Amazing! Best $15 I've ever spent. The $15 5 oz steak is only untill 2pm. (It was so chill I ended up hanging around) Then starts drinks basically anything. I got a gin n juice for $5 which starts at 3pm & with the great environment music tvs friendly people I ended up staying even longer untill 6 and I called a friend over here so basically I got to benefit from the cheap lunch and the cheap drinks all in 1 day.😋👍👌😅⁴ Awesome place!! I promise you will not regret it.

Went for lunch with co workers. Service was great! Atmoshere is nice. Special was a 5oz steak sandwich with choice of side, which I really appreciate having several items to choose from, for $16.00. Now...out of the 8 of us 6 of us ordered the steak and every one of them was over cooked. Little disappointing when I was very specific about how I wanted it done and the server said not to worry they've never had any sent back. We didnt send them back as we were under a time restraint. I think we were all a little disappointed. Chances are we will not be returning.

Great pub, with some of the best chicken wings I’ve tasted. Easily a 9.6 wing - could eat them all day. Perfect balance and size. Wish had have been there on a Wednesday for wing day so could order 2 or 3lbs of these babies. Tacos were a letdown - wings were a homerun - burgers looked great also.

We wait for Wednesday's. ..fr the wings night. .its amazing..great wings which make u fly.. lot of varieties. Great beer collection and the best part is the server knows everything and suggests you ...i m also from the service industry so wud say the serving staff is amazing...keep it up.. thanks Gina

Great food and service with a very comfortable atmosphere. It was very quiet at noon so perfect for a family get-together. The Toad Burger I had was amazing!

Food is of low quality. Neighbourhood is depressing. Edit: last visit I was served a clear golden beer and the server insisted that is was the Velvet Fog that I ordered. Not a big deal, just strange.

The food was delicious, I had the quesadilla with ground beef and guacamole. The drinks are also very good, they have a good selection and variety. The service was slow and I feel the server was ignoring us for the most part. There was also live music since we went on a Friday.

Pretty awesome spot. Good deals, good entertainment, fantastic food. You oughta try the Shepards pie, unreal stuff that. My girlfriend and I went and had a pleasant time. 5/5 no doubt. Had a great time.

Loved this location. I was told this was an old cathedral. The high ceilings make you feel less closed in so it is a very chill and relaxing atmosphere. Loved the trivia night. Especially loved that trivia night has no technology involved. So nice to get away from screens at the end of the day. Wonderful mini quesadillas but they were so good that I forgot to take a pic and they got devoured. Next time!

We live in the neighbourhood, so the Cat & Fiddle is a short walk from home - we go fairly often. Though it's been around for years, I appreciate that the pub is constantly paying attention to detail. The environment is always clean, and their food is GOOD and seems to keep getting better ( try the beef ribs - so yum and they're on special Tuesday nights) The service is fantastic - we usually sit at the bar and talk to Jagger who once shared his 64.5 hour playlist with us. The Cat has a great variety of beer, they offer organic wine. In the summer friends can sit on the back patio, in the winter folks come for music night or play pool. Great shareable's, fresh salads and sit down meals such as pasta, burgers, healthy skillets, fish and chips and much more. CH

Amazing food for pub fare. The bartenders have been so personable every time I've come in. They make my specialty cocktail perfectly. And the value is amazing. Not to mention the great specials every day. Phenomenal local watering hole and a great destination close to downtown for the rest of us. <3

Food was AMAZING, I spoke with the head chef Kevin I believe his name was. he was awesome, he wasn’t on shift but recommended his favourites and was nothing but kind to me and my friends. We had a pretty bad experience with our server Alex or Anna or some simple white girl name. So we went to the bar and the bartender was so sick, he flipped the entire Expieriance, we asked his recommendation for food because our old server was one of the most miserable people I had ever met and hadn’t recommended anything but an eye role to our table. But the second we settled with her and switched to the bar, the first time we asked him he told us to try the bacon Mac and two of us did where the other two of us tried his second recommendation the beef dip. SO AMAZING!!! Because of his recommendations on the food we asked about drinks, my one friend Jordan hadn’t been very experienced in a bar but jager let him try a couple of the beers on tap before he came to realize he was a hazy IPA type of guy. The fact that the bartender went out of his way while the place was PACKED to find him a beer he enjoyed was a customer service Expieriance like no other. GOES TO SHOW, ONE BAD SERVER DOESN'T MEAN A PLACE OF BUSINESS HAS BAD SERVICE. We proceeded to win a bit of money of the VLTS which just made the night that much better but as I live just off 23 ave this will be me and the guys go to spot when we are at my house so long as that bartender is on SICK SPOT!

Been here a couple times, it’s basically a fancier but more expensive Dogwood. The beer prices are great and their specials are solid. The food is quite expensive but a varied selection. The environment is excellent with a cool interior and solid patio. I’ll be visiting often but ya having some more affordable food options would be appreciated. The service has been excellent and friendly. Definitely enjoy the experience here.

I love the Blackbird Public Urban Bar. It’s a great place to go for gatherings, and for a genuine good time. The food is amazing, and the atmosphere is very clean, and friendly. I would highly recommend coming back to this Pub.

First time coming to Blackbird. Plenty of seating and lots of screens if you're there to watch sports. The server we had, Megan, was great. She was friendly and made a few jokes at our expense which we appreciated. No complaints about her at all. The food was average at best. Certainly not the best pub grub I've had but not the worst either. The thing is that there are a load of options in the area that offer food that is a step above this at comparable prices. So although the service and atmosphere are good I'm probably not going to be back on a regular basis because of the food.

My friends and I have been going here for 3 years, for wings on Wednesday! Food is always nice and hot, wings are on and off but by far the best bang for your buck! Alyssa has been the best server consistently! She is always friendly and fast and we never had an empty drink! She even memorized all our orders at one point! Thank you Alyssa for the consistent great service!

The wings and steak bites were very good. It was very busy on wing night Wednesday so we sat at the bar. The service was great! The decor is very tasteful. Love the washrooms.

The atmosphere is welcoming, inviting, and has a sophisticated sense with decor to match. The beer, wine, and cocktail selection is varied and tempting. The gyozas are delectable and memorable (we ordered 2 sides of gyozas). The service is attentive and well-timed. Only minor issue, we would have appreciated a side plate with utensils rather than chopsticks. When we return, we will enjoy the well-stationed patio.

Went for lunch, it wasn't packed out but it was busy enough. They only had one waitress on at the time but I cannot praise her highly enough. Elysa was attentive, quick and efficient. Most wait staff in other establishments these days just suck up to patrons but fail at the job completely, she did not fall into this trap. I found that she let her work speak for itself, she was polite and friendly but to the point. I appreciated this immensely. The food turned up quickly, was cooked perfectly and was tasty. Whomever the cook was this day (Saturday 8th March 2025) also deserved compliments. The whole place was clean, tidy and well kept. Bathrooms were clean. I will definitely return to this bar/restaurant. The experience was very pleasant. 5Stars all around.
