Golf course
Torrey Pines Golf Course is a renowned venue featuring two 18-hole courses situated on the stunning ocean cliffs of La Jolla, California. The North Course, designed by William Francis Bell, is highly regarded by locals for its layout and scenic views. Meanwhile, the South Course has hosted major events like the PGA Tours Farmers Insurance Open and Tiger Woods' victory in the 2008 U.S. Open. This historic municipal facility offers a memorable golfing experience with its picturesque setting and challenging courses.
Came here without a reservation on a Monday around 2pm and I was able to get a tee time at 3pm. The app makes finding a spot as a single very easy. The staff is knowledgeable and nice and will help you get out. It’s expensive for out of state golfers but worth it. The course is pristine and some really great views. The layout is good but nothing crazy. The north wasn’t too hard but had some great views of the ocean. Definitely come if in the area. Good for all levels of golfers.

It was our first time and we played the North course. What an experience! The course was in great shape. The staff were courteous and friendly. The views were spectacular. The only note is for the players. Fix your divots people! We had delicious food and drinks in the Lodge Grille.
Elmer T — Google review
This golf course is right by the ocean, and the scenery is absolutely breathtaking. The facilities are super convenient, and the practice range is great too. I really love this course. The prices are pleasantly surprising — especially for the practice range. I’m not ready to play on the green yet, but I hope that by coming here often and improving my skills, I’ll soon be able to play on the course.
Zheng C — Google review
Most beautiful golf course in Southern California with unique holes, greens, and scenic ocean views. The course is very well maintained and the staff is knowledgeable, welcoming, and efficient. Priced well for Dan Diego residents, hard to get a tee tint if the only downside but that’s due to it being an incredible course and experience!
Levi R — Google review
Great views and nice fairways. Greens were a little rough and watch out for the cross shots in this links style course. Great to check the box but won’t come back.
Mark O — Google review
The perfect La Jolla, CA getaway! Friendly staff, great food and no need to leave the resort. They host great conference experience, which are quite separate from the rest of the resort. Ample parking, clean and 5 Star service while you are in the property.
Michael C — Google review
Great golf course...course conditions - tee to green were in transition as they just over seeded. Greens perfect! Golfing challenge -*****! Views, layout, design and lanscape incomparable!
Robert C — Google review
These courses lives up to all of the hype. The south course is beautiful and is a beast that will test the best players. The north course has equally beautiful views but is a much more fun course for any player.

Golf course
Coronado Municipal Golf Course, established in 1957, is a popular public par-72 golf course located along the San Diego Bay. It offers great value with $49 greens fees for prime time play and is known for its well-maintained greens and stunning views of the Coronado Bridge and the Coronado Yacht Club. The 6,590-yard layout provides a fair challenge that rewards strategic play.
Beautiful course and amazing staff. I left my range finder on the cart and was lucky enough to realize it the day of my flight out of San Diego 5 days later. They had it waiting for me and I was able to grab it just before heading to the airport. If you're in the area this course is definitely worth a visit.
Tony T — Google review
Beautiful course with good green conditions, and not too challenging with minimal hazards. Very forgiving course and well kept conditions. The one downside is that this course accepts fivesomes. My group was stuck behind a group of five and we had to wait for a while for them on most holes. Wished that they capped it at 4 players like the other courses. We finished at 4.5 hours which wasn’t the worst. Nice views of the water and cityscape. Would play again if I visited again and would recommend.
Amy Y — Google review
Fun track. Wide open throughout, not many holes where penalties are a concern. Greens were exceptional for the price, fairways and tee boxes were largely in good shape as well. Has a driving range. Some really nice views of the water. Saw the beverage cart frequently and the food options at the clubhouse were great. Overall a really strong value course. Knocking one star for pace of play alone, took us nearly 6 hours on a Friday afternoon.
Kyle — Google review
Coronado Golf Course was amazing. The harbor views made every hole feel special, and both the fairways and greens were in excellent shape and good condition. Booking’s a bit tough, but totally worth it!
SeongBeom S — Google review
I went to the golf course for a large work event and really enjoyed playing the course. The greens weren’t excellent condition. The weather was perfect, it was not too hot or too cold. The staff was friendly. The golf carts were well-maintained. I can’t wait to go back again.
Greg K — Google review
Conditions were amazing. Rates are very good for the course conditions. There were some interesting dog legs on the course but definitely a fun course I'd play again.
Allan W — Google review
Beautiful course. Great value. Its hard to believe that this course is public. Open fairways and forgiving tees. You play here to enjoy the view. The only challenge is getting the tee time. This is a course to play if you stay in San Diego
Ryan K — Google review
This is my third visit to this course in a few years, and I'm still blown away by its beauty. Everything went smoothly, and the course conditions were exceptional. I'll definitely be writing an excellent review – the value here is top-notch. Kudos to the team for maintaining such a wonderful facility. Can't wait to come back!

Nestled within the Park Hyatt Hotel, Aviara Golf Club offers a luxurious resort experience with upscale accommodations and various dining options. The club boasts stunning views of Batiquitos Lagoon nature preserve and features an impressive 18-hole course designed by Arnold Palmer. Spanning over 7,000 yards, the layout showcases beautifully sculpted landscapes adorned with native wildflowers, along with challenging bunker and water elements.
My stay at this hotel was truly luxurious. The room was spacious, with a king-size bed and a large bathroom featuring a rain shower and separate bathtub. The hotel boasts a beautiful indoor pool and a state-of-the-art fitness center. The spa offered excellent treatments, including massages and facials. The staff were professional and friendly, providing impeccable service from check-in to check-out. Dining at the on-site restaurant was a highlight, with exquisite dishes and an extensive wine list.
Emanuel — Google review
Just finished playing here and I will tell you the design of the course is fantastic. A lot of rememberable holes, flowers planted in the perfect spots, cool water falls as well. The course is challenging but fair. The conditions of the course were pretty bad. Greens were very nice but fairways were horrible. A lot of time you were hitting off dirt. We paid close to $350 a person and expected much more at that price point. If they can fix up the fairways I would recommend this course but at that current conditions I would not recommend paying what we paid.
Nick S — Google review
Beautiful course, challenging holes. But, if you don't like slow play, then this is not the course for you. There were 4 groups stacked up on the tee, and the "player assistant" wouldn't do anything about the slow group. He actually said "You're just playing faster than them". No, they are playing slower than everyone!
Chris M — Google review
An absolute gem. The atmosphere is beautiful, the staff are attentive, and the food was incredible from start to finish. Everything felt well thought out and genuine. Perfect spot for a nice evening out. I’ll definitely be back.
Robert K — Google review
What an amazing course, I could say this is a very well taken course with amazing scenery and landscape. The only hole that needs some attention number 17. Besides that the staff was very attentive, and a great experience with challenging course.
Jonathan R — Google review
I was here for a corporate retreat and played the course in a scramble and used the practice facilities on a separate day. The resort itself was great. The golf course was pretty disappointing if I am being candid. The greens were great, very challenging and in good if not great shape. The fairways were shockingly bad, in all fairness maybe its a seasonal thing but I would think southern CA like my home state of FL would maintain good conditions year round. Lots of invasive grass and weeds and a plethora of bald spots. Very hard to imagine an LPGA event being played here. I think the course would be a gem if in better shape, few weird holes but I don't mind that typically. Resort course layout makes it a course that is fun for all skill levels. Hope they recent punching of fairways helps fix the issues because if I had to pay north of $300 I would be very upset with the quality of the course.
Erik B — Google review
Played here for guys golf trip with three rounds and this course was rated 3rd considering price, conditions and memorability. Maderas and Steele crossing were better value. Green, resort and staffs were great.
V L — Google review
Only played golf. Golf course is much improved from prior years, and the staff is great. Hope they can continue to maintain the course as it is now, and what it was like when it first opened.

Maderas Golf Club, designed by Johnny Miller, is a top-rated golf course in San Diego County. Nestled in the natural beauty of North San Diego's inland hill country, the course winds through cliffs, creeks, and forests over 3.7 miles. Its challenging layout offers a great test of golf while providing stunning views of rolling hills and rugged terrain.
I LOVE this course so much. It’s fun, interesting, beautiful and technically challenging. If you time it correctly you can find a tee time under $150. Even if you can’t, I would be willing to splurge to play here again. I just wish I had more time to enjoy the clubhouse and all the other amenities.
Kelly M — Google review
Great public course! First time I have ever played here. Fairways were in good shape and the greens rolled true. Nice elevation changes throughout the course. In my opinion, it is worth the money! If your in the area then play a round and decide for yourself. I don't believe you'll leave there disappointed.
Boston M — Google review
Played course on 15 October 2024. World class treatment from the staff. From the guys in the parking lot, cart girl, starters and pro shop. Great practice facilities with complimentary range balls, full size range, putting, and chopping surfaces. The course itself is in immaculate condition. Striped fairways, smooth greens, well taken care of bunker, and a beautiful course layout. A lot of elevation challenges and a few blind spots. Come enjoy yourself at this masterpiece. Will definitely be back.
Ovell I — Google review
Maderas Golf Club is an incredibly challenging and rewarding course. Holes 14 and 15 are extremely tough and really test your game, while the 10th hole is a lot of fun with a unique design. Overall, it’s a course that keeps you on your toes and offers a truly exciting challenge for golfers of all levels. Highly recommended!
MAX K — Google review
What is there not to like? If you were to play this course, you would find five important things: one you would find a perfectly manicured course! Number two you would find a course where there’s active management of any issues! Number three you would find welcoming friendly And sincere staff! Fourthly you would find greens that are near perfect! Lastly, you would find yourself asking the question why haven’t you played this course 100 times it is pound for pound one of the best courses you will play I encourage you to go and play more than once! It’s on my annual list!!!

I played there this morning and this was one of the best courses I’ve ever played! Well maintained, kind and smiling staff and greatly designed course layout! Hope I can play again soon (I am from Seattle so might be taking some time to come back though 😀)

Nestled in a stunning setting with ocean views, Encinitas Ranch Golf Course is an 18-hole haven for golf enthusiasts. The course offers a mix of easy and challenging sections suitable for all skill levels. After a game, players can unwind at the Clubhouse or savor delectable meals at the Ranch Grill Restaurant. The driving range provides an ideal spot to refine your swing. With its breathtaking Pacific Ocean backdrop, this course promises an unparalleled golfing experience.
Encinitas Ranch Golf Course is a great spot for a round of golf, especially with its coastal vibe and those ocean views sneaking in on a few holes. The layout is super friendly—wide fairways give you some breathing room, but the greens make sure you stay sharp. It’s always in great shape, and the pace is nice and laid-back, perfect for enjoying the California sunshine. Plus, it’s just a fun course whether you’re out for a casual game or something more competitive.
Bill H — Google review
What an awesome course! I came to San Diego for a 3 day golf trip and this was my favorite course that we played. The course was in amazing shape and the views of the ocean were beautiful. I definitely would play here again when I’m back in the area.
Max K — Google review
There were great views from a few holes. The golf course is well maintained and high up, hilly. There were some big slopes on fairway as well. They charge the golf cart per person not per cart
Scarlett — Google review
Came here for lunch and got the turkey club which was suggested to me. The sandwich was good and on chibatta bread. Easy and simple meal, came out quick. Everyone I talked to was very nice and was great service I came back for sunset and a drink and it was really beautiful.
Lauren B — Google review
Great course! Well maintained and friendly staff. Fun to play! Nice views of the ocean on front 9. Definitely worth checking out if in the area.
Blake D — Google review
In north San Diego up in Encinitas this course is on the easier side with wide open fairways that let you stay in bounds if you miss hit your drive but the greens can actually be a hit tough in an enjoyable way. Course was in great shape and they’ve got a great driving range as well as putting greens. Hardest thing on this course is to get a good tee time because they have kept pricing reasonable even though their competitors in Orange County and San Diego doubled their pricing in the pandemic, which was a pleasant surprise. For a foursome, carts, 2 pairs of Travis Matthew shorts, it was still all under $400. Great value and price for such a nice course. They even had ocean holes and sprawling views that were breathtakingly beautiful. Absolutely love this place! 5 stars
Peter — Google review
Course was absolutely stunning and in excellent condition. Pretty forgiving with open fairways on most holes. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a nice course to play in San Diego without paying Torrey rates. Paid $95 w/ a cart
David T — Google review

The Grand Golf Club is an exclusive golf retreat located near the 400-acre Fairmont Grand Del Mar resort. Designed by Tom Fazio, the course features his signature bunkering and challenging par 3s, including the tough 17th hole over water. Visitors can enjoy upscale rooms and villas, various dining options, a spa, and an outdoor pool at this posh destination.
Played here today on MASTERS SUNDAY. We had our Caddy Brad, who was awesome! Guy would make you laugh nonstop! Very knowledgeable of the course and good at what he does. Course was PUREE! 10/10 recommend!
THE C — Google review
I came here to have a good time with my friends, and it was fun with the difficult and relatively fast greens that lived up to its reputation, but the management seemed a bit disappointing. There was a repair area, and there was also repair grass around the greens, which was disappointing. Since it is an 18-hole course, it can't be helped if you keep playing the course, but it was a bit disappointing, and our caddy is a friend who works a second job as a real estate agent, so he focused more on introducing the houses around the course than introducing the course, which made us a bit embarrassed, and when he cleaned the ball or passed the ball, he passed it with his foot, which made us a bit embarrassed.
Sophia — Google review
Eric Moore was incredibly helpful in getting us off the tee sooner than expected, offering to caddie and making us feel welcome. His service was top notch & very appreciated. Adam Cook was also very kind and took great care of us. Once on the course, our caddie Curtis was also phenomenal. He helped us immensely with an elite level of caddying. These guys were incredible and made our already great day even better!!! Outstanding track with stellar greens and gorgeous territorial views as well!
Jerry S — Google review
Great layout. Pretty scenery. Very well maintained. Our forecaddie, Scott was great as well. Very enjoyable round.
William M — Google review
Th Course is in great shape. It is a fun track. When you stay at the resort you must have a fore caddie. We had Tyler. He was especially great at reading putts. He is a super guy. We really enjoyed him. My husband and I played twice while staying at the resort. The $330 green fees when you are paying a resort fee of $65 a day and a room charge of $600+ per night for a room is too high, especially when hole 15 was closed both days. Staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. The practice area is one of the best I’ve ever used.
Nanette H — Google review
Fun spot, great views, and a lot of tees to choose from so certainly can be an enjoyable experience for all different kinds of golfers. Forecaddies are high quality, like Brandon who we had, and improve the experience greatly.
Reed K — Google review
The place is so beautiful and quiet. Very relaxing. Went there for a company event and was just blown away by the scenery. The staff was great as well, they had everything ready for us and were able to rent me a set of golf clubs. Really enjoyed it.
Danielle Z — Google review
From the range to the 18th this place was phenomenal. I played 5 courses in San Diego to include Maderas, Aviara, Torrey Pines South, and La Costa. The Grand topped them all, tho Maderas was great also. They treat you like a tour pro here and the course was fantastic.

Three beautiful 9 hole lay outs. Very well kept. Pace of play was very good and the people that worked there are very courteous and helpful. A little warm out there today but a lot of fun.

Excellent course! Fun layout - interesting holes, many have significant elevation changes in play. Lots of risk-reward situations making you think. Fast challenging greens. Fairways mostly in good shape. Friendly service.

Wow! The course was beautiful but it was tuff. The young man in the club house was very helpful. I rented clubs and he had them ready before I got there. (720am tee time) I hit the driving ranch then was on my way. I played the canyon course then ranch. Both were awesome. The only bad part was it looks like no one know how to repair their ball makes on the green. Would definitely recommend this course if you want a challenge with great scenery.

Played the Canyon and Vineyard nines. They are a great mix of holes. Some are extremely challenging, even from the whites. I found a couple of the par 3s to be especially difficult. The fairways were in great shape, as were the greens and bunkers. A couple of the water features could use some TLC. I only encountered two staff members, and both were extremely gracious. I didn’t get a chance to check out the club and restaurant. Played the 18 holes in under three hours.

Thank you for your customer service. I appreciate the hard work from kitchen to the table service! The golf course staff is awesome too! Now, if I can only figure out how to get rated correctly... I've got to be missing something. Seems like $300-900/ BJ hand doesn't rate the same as $5-8/spin on $.01 slots...doesn't add up in my calculation! Anyways, I still love coming back!

To say this was a disappointment is a complete understatement. Let the pictures speak for themselves. The fact they charged us $160 per person and it was a 5-hour round with no one moving people along is nothing short of robbery! The only reason I gave one star was because people there were nice. Laughably, Golf Digest just rated this course #25 on the 2021 list of Top 50 courses in California. Clearly none of the raters have played it. This used to be a beautiful, lush course that has been let go. It is worse than a pasture.

The whole course wasn't open. They had nine holes open. A lot of big brush all trough the course.

Course is not in great shape but the people in the pro shop and snack bar are awesome. Course needs water, most greens are good and price is right.

Singing Hills Golf Club at Sycuan, located in the tranquil Dehesa Valley just 20 minutes east of San Diego International Airport, offers a sprawling resort experience. It features 54 holes of golf spread across two championship courses and an 18-hole par-3 course. The Willow Glen and Oak Glen courses, designed by Ted Robinson, Sr., provide challenging yet playable layouts with stunning mountain views.
Played the WILLOW GLEN course on 31 December 2024. There is a lot to choose from on this course. Multiple practice greens, full size range (turf matts), a restaurant, and a nice size pro shop with a lot of goodies. As for the course it is in great conditions. Tee boxes cut nice and level, fairways in good shape, bunkers well maintained, and green are in immaculate condition that roll very nice and consistent. Course layout is challenging with multiple dog legs and elevation challenges. They even have really nice golf carts with premiere seats. Cart girl is constantly riding around and they have a snack shop on the course!! Recommend this course to everyone.

For my first time golfing ever, I’m so thrilled that it was at Singing Hills. There are three award-winning courses… we played Pine. It’s a short but very sweet 9-hole course, with beautiful landscape and scenery. Trevor in the Golf Shop was extremely helpful; we didn’t feel dumb at all having never played before yet being in the presence of Pros. We’re even thinking of taking lessons now after our first time!
BECKY P — Google review
The golf course greens were very green and well manicured. The staff was very friendly and golf shop was well stocked. The food at the restaurant was dang good. The main "problem" was all the construction. The golf cart paths were not clearly marked, some were dirt roads and some were NOT carts paths at all. The reason this matters is because the carts would turn off if you went into "restricted" areas. You were struck unless you reversed but with nothing clearly marked you were destined to repeat this again and again and again. Overall this problem will eventually disappear. I'll be back.
Richard P — Google review
I had a disappointing experience at this golf course. The staff at check-in were unfriendly, and part of the course was under construction, which caused a lot of noise and dust. The pace of play was frustrating—the group ahead was slow, while the group behind was constantly pushing us, making it hard to focus. Overall, this was the worst golf course experience during my trip to San Diego.
Jiwon S — Google review
The resort has two pools, two jacuzzis, (closed at ten) and mid century modern decor in the rooms. The beautiful golf course and grounds have orange trees that are heavy with fruit. The bar and restaurant are only open from 5-8 weeknights. Looks like an excellent venue to get married at!

Good location for us visiting family. No elevator to 3rd floor. Good rooms. Balconies adjoining- would prefer private. Etched glass on rooms allows others to see a bit inside the rooms/showers/bathrooms. This glass should have blinds, especially for at night with a light on inside. Great front desk staff.
Kirkdk8 D — Google review
I was hoping for a nice hilly course but it didn't materialize. Oak Glen is squeezed in among surrounding hills but it is a flat course with little challenge. It is good for short game practice but not for a challenging game. There are only 2 Par 5 holes, majority are Par 4. The price of play is in line with resort pricing. Even though there are a number of holes under repair the price of play was $75 as a walk-on. Sadly, no one was enforcing pace of play and we ended up finishing after sunset with a 12:06PM tee-off time. The course could do with maintenence. Some greens were rough, and some fairways were in need of grass cutting. There were dead fish in one of the ponds under repair (maintenance) and the stench was a bit offputting. The views are great, the layout is good but it really depends on expectation. Staff members were helpful and accommodating but didn't allow for any discount. There are discounted membership rates if taken out between Jan-Mar.

Came for an event and loved it. The area is nice and secluded. Very peaceful and tranquil. Staff is sweet but volunteers for event not so much. Tried the Sole water which was amazing. Wish the fettuccine sauce was more of a thick cheese sauce than a thin butter sauce. Overall this is a nice getaway hidden in the back of El Cajon.

Balboa Park Golf Course is a popular destination for golf enthusiasts in Southern California, offering both 18-hole and 9-hole courses with stunning views of the city and the ocean. The course features undulating greens and challenging roughs, providing an opportunity to test your skills. It is one of San Diego's three municipal courses, known for its panoramic downtown vistas and proximity to the Pacific Ocean.
Drove 2 hrs from los angeles to catch a 10:56am tee time on a Wednesday. Very beautiful course.. started with a bucket to get warmed up then walked up to start the game. Everything was fine the course is great. The big lawnmowers were out and were very noisy and one of the lawnmower ate my ball 😒 gotta be careful if you're slicing balls theres a section where is close to homes and the street and the fence is low. No extra netting. You can break a window or hit someone. I highly recommend this course. Nice view of the city. Great game. Must do
Luis C — Google review
The course and layout are great with some great city views. Some challenging holes, not as forgiving. It seems as if they spent all of their money on the course and haven’t spent a dime in any of the facilities (as a golfer I’m okay with) but I would definitely go back and play.
Ellis L — Google review
Played here the other day for the first time. I was surprised how tight of the fairways there was on every hole. It’s actually quite a difficult course. You probably want to be a >20 hcp At least to even play here because you’ll find yourself if some tough situations with forests around most holes. Easy to lose balls. Greens were playing fast early in the AM so balls would just keep rolling for days. I’ll have to give it another shot to see if I just had the jitters when I played or if the course is actually that difficult. You really need to know how far you hit each club to manage the long par 4s and 5s. With cart and players card it was still around $70. Views are nice but the course is kind of mid. Walking is possible but it’s a long course.
Harrison B — Google review
This was my first time playing this course and it was a great experience. The course was in great condition. The fairways were good, greens were very fast and small, adding to the challenge of this course. The sand was decent. The course was very challenging with a great layout providing lots of elevation change and unique holes. Views of the pacific ocean, San Diego downtown skyline, and Coronado Bridge made for a scenic round of golf. Must play municipal course right in the middle of downtown San Diego.
Desmond L — Google review
What a treat to play this course. If you can get on, play it. It's hard to find times being a top-tier SD muni in the same group with Torrey. The only way I could get out was with an SD resident friend who has the resident card. The course is tough even though it's only 6,400 yards from the tips. Some amazing vistas of the San Diego skyline to be enjoyed. Keep your ball in play and you can score. Greens are huge, hard and fast. Spend plenty of time on the practice green which is a great representation of what the greens on the course are. Keep your ball below the hole. Most greens slope back to front. Try to get out with someone who knows the layout. It saved me on more than one occasion.

This is an excellent golf course and we San Diegans are lucky to have this absolute gem of a course. It’s a hard course, but it is beautiful. And the challenge makes us better at golf.
Adam F — Google review
Beautiful golf course that is challenging. I’d strongly recommend taking an electric golf cart instead of a push cart if you’re playing 18 holes- due to the various elevations. Keep your head up and eyes open as you will likely hear many people yelling “fore”. I gave it 4 stars due to the pace of place. It took us over 5 hours to complete the round. Each par three had a backup with three groups…but overall it was a great course with a great price!

The 18-hole course offers picturesque and gently rolling green grounds, providing a good balance of challenge and straightforward holes. Visitors can enjoy amenities such as an illuminated all-hours driving range, a pro shop, and dining at the popular Sunset Grille. Surrounded by palm, oak, and eucalyptus trees, the club also features a resort-style full-length course with a short game area.
Fantastic round of golf! The greens are rolling well and they recently re-did the bunkers. Overall course in great shape a few spots in fairways you can tell they’re working hard on. Can’t wait to get back!

Patiently demonstrates key techniques all while keeping light humor. I appreciate all the instructors for making learning golf so enjoyable!

Played course on March 6, 2024. Not sure why this course does not have 5 stars. Maybe it's cause the Californians are spoiled but this is definitely a great course. From the start they have a great practice area. The only knock is have is the turf mats but from the looks of it, it seems that some days they allow grass hitting which is good. They guys in the pro shop are helpful and welcoming. As for the course, tee boxes in great shape, the fairways have a few dirt spots but if you hit it where you should you don't have to worry about that. Greens are in fantastic shape and roll true. Bunkers are also in great shape. It is a challenging course with some elevation challenges. I definitely will be back when I get the chance. Pace of play was slow though, need a marshal out there to make sure people are not hitting more than one ball slowing everything up.
Ovell I — Google review
This course is almost $150 to play. The course conditions are extremely average to poor and awful at times. The area is homeless ridden, the management don’t care about anything else besides making $, the cart guys are the only highlight of the golf course. Expect to play in no less than 5 hours, most often times closing in on 6 hours (12PM tee time finished at 5:30 recently). Marshalls don’t care allowing 5-somes and awful pace of play. If you are from out of town or looking for a place to play in the area, this should be your LAST choice, absolutely abysmal course for how much they’re charging.
Allen W — Google review
Located right off of the freeway, next to the Fashion Valley mall. Beautiful course. Challenging and diverse course for a good time. Practice area right by the parking lot is great. Mission Valley area is known for flooding (San Diego River) so the area has poor drainage making some area mushy. Slow pace especially on the weekends & evening hours. Probably have better pace on weekdays. 3.9/5 ⭐️
M O — Google review
I think it's the most beautiful Muni course in the city center. The green was fast, but the course was fun and the scenery was beautiful. The flaw was that the bathroom door was locked in the middle, but it was a fun game. There were sevaral hazards and island greens, so it needed a challenge, but it was a satisfactory game.
M P — Google review
The course is fine. Nothing special. It can get a little muddy during the winters. What I don't like is their pricing. The prices change day to day. There is no consistent rate like other golf courses. Depends on how many tee times are getting booked that day, then tee times rates go up. So if you were planning on golfing a certain day, and you see the prices are higher than usual, it deters you from booking a tee time. I look somewhere else to book a tee time. I have been watching tee times this week and have seen it jump up, yet it's not like all their tee times get booked. There are plenty of tee times left, probably because they inflated their prices as the week went on.

Fairways and putting greens in great shape. Pace of play was good. The beverage cart gal was always around ,which is rare on a weekday. Mike in the bar/ restaurant was very friendly and helpful.

Nestled in the beachside community of Pacific Beach, it offers stunning landscaping and a relaxed atmosphere. The course is known for being challenging and is considered the best 18-hole executive course in town.
I haven’t played golf and sometime and decided to get back into it. I happen to live 8 minutes from mission bay golf course and practice center but have never gone until now and I’m so glad I did. Great staff and super friendly, course looked to be in great conditions although I didn’t play. The practice area is well kept and prices for range balls are good and tons of things you can work on here. Definitely my new go to for my practice sessions.

A fun little municipal course. It’s only a par 59. Lots of par 3s and a few par 4s. The longest hole is just below 300 yards. Still lots of fun to be had. The course itself is quite nice. It’s well taken care of for a county course. The infrastructure around the course is a bit beat up though. But I would rather have a good playing field than perfect cart paths. There was no marshal that I saw. However, there were no pace of place issues during my early morning tee time. The resident rate is sub 40 dollars so that can’t be beat. The staff were very nice and got me out quick. Overall, a very pleasant way to spend a morning in beautiful San Diego.
Tyler H — Google review
Fairly maintained greatly priced public executive golf course with very short par 4s and mostly par 3s. Pretty slow pace of play. Much better of a practice course than a full course but great to hone in your short game. Driving range and tiki bar are great additions as well. Two putting practice greens
Levi R — Google review
Open late to hit around the driving range and they have lights. I’ll usually go here to work on my game *important note is that the grass area for driving range is open from Wednesday through Saturday. I’ll always hit a large bucket here in about an hour or so and it’s a lot of fun. Looking to play the course soon with some buddies from work.

Played here several times but today was especially annoying. We had a tee time and my son went to check in and (Ryan) was working the desk . He couldn’t have been more rude and pretty much started off our day on the wrong track . Not sure if he was having a bad day or what but his actions and attitude were totally unacceptable and he definitely shouldn’t be in the position he’s in . Someone needs to reevaluate his behavior and take action that this type of behavior isn’t repeated or tolerated 🤷‍♂️🏌🏾‍♂️
Chuck P — Google review
A very well maintained course for a municipality. Pace of play was pretty slow. Showed up relatively early for our tee time, checked in, got a bucket of balls for the driving range, and barely got into the bucket before we were called to tee off early which was a little annoying but glad they had the availability. Would rather be early than late. Great way to spend a morning when visiting the area - conveniently located!
Taylor N — Google review
A comfortable par 3 course. Service meets basic standards. Sometimes I can be really busy, there is also disc golf and soccer golf holes on the same holes as the golf holes. But, they did what they had to do to fit in 18 holes and a driving range in the relatively small space for a golf course. Not terrible expensive either, but just about right for a Par 3 course. Grounds conditions are just okay.

Nestled in the rugged natural setting of San Diego, Mt. Woodson Golf Club offers a unique and challenging golfing experience for players of all skill levels. The course wraps around the base of Mt. Woodson, providing stunning views and incorporating canyons into its design. With scenic pathways, wooden bridges, and large boulders, it's considered one of the most beautiful courses in San Diego.
Woodson is one of my all time favorite courses because it is challenging, surrounded by beautiful views and has a very unique layout. Backstory: about ten years ago when I started learning to golf, Woodson was my first legit course that I played. I’m returning back all these years later and had a good time with this bucket list course. As far as San Diego courses go, Woodson has a variety of terrains to play from: moments of steep mountainous areas, desert terrain, hilly grass fairways, and tons of valley gaps that you have to hit strategically over. The valleys: at least half of the holes have a moment where you’re hitting over a gap somewhere - and if you hit your shot on the right line and the right shape / distance, you will feel like an absolute hero. That’s the thing I love about Woodson. It’s high risk high reward. The next thing is the course length: from the whites, you can easily go OB long, and from the blues you have a bit more room to play. But overall this isn’t a super long course and you need to be careful :) Overall, if you haven’t played it before and you’re a decently experienced golfer, I highly recommend you try this place at least once

PLAYED 14MAY2025 - Played while visiting San Diego. Grateful to have been partnered with a couple of locals who knew the course as this was my first time playing. The course was in great shape although the greens were a little slow due to recent aeration, which I didn't notice. Overall the course isn't long but the elevation changes, blind shots, and hidden hazards require the use of every club in your bag. The views are amazing. The staff was friendly. I'll definitely return.
E. D — Google review
Played course on 15 July 2024. Course is amazing with one of the best lay outs I have ever played. Elevation challenges on just about every single hole. The course is well maintained with the exception of some tee boxes that are uneven and there being no sand in the bunkers to actually execute bunker shots. The greens roll true and can be fast. The staff is very friendly and they also offer military discount. They also have practice facilities although I did not see an actual driving range. There were a few mats where you could hit into a net. I will definitely be back to this course in the future and recommend it to all golfers, you will have a blast! Watch out for the rattlesnakes, you can't see them but you can hear them.
Ovell I — Google review
The view is awesome but it is difficult course. Narrow fairways and undulations. Keep on your toes in every hole! Then you can enjoy, have fun and thrill. The passes between holes are beautiful. One of my golf buddies got his life best score 75! I'd like to visit again.
Karen B — Google review
Mt. Woodson NEVER disappoints. The facilities are clean, and the staff is friendly. Though the course isn't long, you'd better know your clubs' distances. Elevated tees, many of them require clean shots over brush, trees & rocks make this course special.

Great course. Not excessively long, though big misses can cost you.

WARNING: STRICT 4 HOUR GOLF ROUND. They will pester you your entire round if you are playing an average 4.5 hr 18 holes. We finished a 2 person scramble (with no one in the tee time in front of us, and the people behind us saying our pace was good) in 4 hours and 20 minutes and pestered us multiple times and were quite rude. Ive played some of the most exclusive clubs in the country and it’s the worst Ive been treated and rushed on a golf course. They also complained that my wife and her friend weren’t wearing collars when they bought matching $300 alo golfing outfits with skirts and looked outstanding. We most certainly will not be back to this course. Additionally there’s no driving range (you hit into a net) and the club house is very lack luster and small, course very narrow and unforgiving. Not sure I understand all of the high reviews as there’s plenty of amazing public courses in SO-Cal where you can play a great 4.5 hr round and will be treated well. They ruined what could have been an amazing day on the course for us.

Additionally, the club is home to Tappers Mini Golf & Cocktails for those who want to practice putting without playing a full round.
The Loma Club is one of the best short courses in San Diego. Great vibes, walkable layout, and perfect for working on your wedge game or playing a casual round with friends. The course is in very good shape, and the pace of play is usually solid. The greens are very well maintained and roll fantastic. The clubhouse has a great atmosphere, with food, drinks, and live music on some nights--makes it more than just a golf stop. Shoutout to Alex for always being welcoming and running things smoothly. He adds a personal touch that keeps people coming back and a hell of a golfer

A very nice Par 3 course tucked into the front of Liberty Station. The course is fun to play and some holes can be fun little challenges. The course can get quite busy with people of all skill levels playing. The conditions are nice but there is definitely some room for improvement. Some of the mats need redone and the greens can get pretty beat up. There are two mini golf courses as well. The bar is very nice with lots of house drinks and local beers. Overall a great way to spend an hour or two outside in sunny San Diego.

It’s labeled a golf course and while I’ve been twice I’ve never played golf! We’ve come for music, drinks, food and outdoor seating with our little kids and really enjoyed it. It seems a lot of local elementary school families also come on Friday and weekend. Nights creating a fun family vibe and creating play opps for the kids. We bring cards and play family games as well. A very nice local family friendly food and drink and entertainment spot. A gem in San Diego!!

Way more than just a golf course! There’s mini golf, great food and excellent music! We saw UL Standard there, fun band! Oh, and the cool part if you do like golf is you can take your dog!

Tecolote Canyon Golf Course in San Diego has been recognized as the Best Challenge at an Executive Golf Course by Southland Golf magazine. The 3,161-yard, par-58 layout features rocky outcroppings and cliff-like topography, offering both difficulty and natural beauty. The course takes advantage of the unique locale of Tecolote Canyon to provide inspired layouts that highlight the area's mountainous beauty.
I like this course for 3 reasons: 1. It's centrally located. 2. The price is fair. 3. It's an old school course where every hole is different. Also, the pro shop manager Jonah is always friendly.
Surfdrone S — Google review
Played course in March 12, 2024. I will say I appreciate the course squeezing me in to play without a designated tee time. The guy in the pro shop was nice. However, I will say the clubhouse has a really old stench to it. The course practice areas are slightly below average with a driving range that hits off mats. As for the course it could be better. Pretty much every tee box was hard as rock, the par 4's fairways not cut well and have patches in a lot of the areas. The greens were bumpy and sandy with a lot of attention needed to them. The bunkers are not terrible and probably are the best thing in condition on the course. Overall, I wish the course was in better condition because the lay out of the course is amazing.
Ovell I — Google review
I see why there are so many open tee times. Save your money and put it towards a nicer course. Hard, mostly dirt, tee boxes. The course would be a lot more fun if the conditions were better than poor. I hope it turns around at some point.

I’ve always loved Tecolote Canyon Golf Course — it’s a fun layout tucked into the canyon, and for years it’s been one of my favorite spots to play and practice. Unfortunately, over the last 5–6 months, the course has really gone downhill. I understand they’re doing maintenance, so only 9 holes are open right now, but even beyond that, the overall experience has slipped. Prices have been raised to a level that just doesn’t feel worth it. A big part of Tecolote’s appeal used to be the range membership, but even that has taken a hit, the price went up, and what used to be a large bucket is now just a medium. It feels like you’re paying more for less. I live above the course and can clearly see how things have changed. There are fewer cars in the parking lot, and even the driving range, which used to be packed, now looks much quieter. It’s disappointing, because this was always such a great local spot with a lot of potential. I really hope management listens to the players who’ve supported Tecolote for years and works to get it back to the course we all used to love.
Jim K — Google review
Very challenging course with narrow fairways and no forgiveness. Plays in under 3.5 hours. Lost more balls here than in any other course. Lots of dry patches but the back 9 is in great shape.
Adrian M — Google review
ZERO STARS! Terrible course with awful customer service. Booked “18 holes” on Sunday and only after check-in were we told that their version of 18 is playing 1–5 and 15–18 twice because half the course is under construction. What wasn’t disclosed is that many of the nine “open” holes also look and play like an active construction zone. Greens are beat up, fairways patchy, and losing balls in scruffy areas is the norm. Pace of play was a mess from the start. Our tee time ran roughly 10 minutes late behind a foursome of walkers, then we waited 5–10 minutes on nearly every tee box. Despite the obvious backup ahead, a pro shop attendant came out to the first tee to tell us to speed up. The message and the tone missed the mark completely. The safety piece was the final straw. A course employee rode a motorcycle straight through the middle of the course while we were on the tee and didn’t pause. I’ve never seen that at a golf facility. They still charged full price at 60 dollars per player for what is effectively a nine-hole loop repeated twice in poor condition. At minimum, clearly disclose the setup, reduce the rate, space tee times better, and coach staff on customer service. Honestly, closing until renovations are complete would be fairer to golfers. Don't ever give this place your money.
Jordan B — Google review
Played here for the first time yesterday. Course conditions have a lot to improve on. Tee boxes and fairways are in rough shape. Course is easy to play from what we experienced. Major drawback from experience was that half of the holes were closed off for maintenance, we were told to play the same 9 holes twice which was a bummer. I wish they that we were notified of this maintenance so that we could have reserved a tee time elsewhere. A Good thing about the course is it’s not that bad in price for SD area.
Fabian P — Google review
Don’t waste your time or money. Course is in terrible condition. Cart paths are dirt and feel like you’re driving an ATV with no windscreen / shield. $58 for this place is borderline criminal. We were moved onto the first tee box 20 min early by the starter, got to the third hole and there was a man watering the green. He turned around, saw us on the tee box, and continued to water the green for 5 more minutes while we waited to get to a sopping wet mess. There was a homeless man scaling the canyon cliffside on the first par 4. The fairways are 85% dirt and rocks. The greens are in bad shape. Even after teeing off 20 minutes early, we were stuck behind 3 groups as the Marshall drove on by and said / did nothing. The course superintendent drove by us in his SUV on the cart path and did a “gun to his head” gesture, like he had no interest in being there. Do yourself a favor and go play literally any other course in SD for the same price or cheaper. Place needs serious rehab.

Torrey Pines Golf Course: South Course is a renowned destination overlooking the Pacific, featuring both the South and North championship 18-hole courses. It has hosted prestigious events like the PGA Tour and the U.S. Open Golf Tournament. Visitors can enjoy stunning sunset views and cozy evenings by a fireplace. The course offers dining options at A.R. Valentien or The Grill at Torrey Pines, making it an ideal spot for golf enthusiasts seeking a memorable experience.
Public course, great value especially for residents. San Diego has perfect weather for golf. Play the appropriate tees and you will love it.
Surfdrone S — Google review
Had a great time here while on vacation. Such a gorgeous course! However…., we were only able to get a 5:30 tee time for 9 on the South course. Now, don’t you think it would be relevant for the Pro-shop to remind us that they were going to close at 7:00? Especially when they knew we were paying non-local rates? At 6:50, the Marshall came through the course and pulled all the pins off the greens. By 7:00, it was too dark to continue to play and we didn’t even finish the eighth hole. Very disappointing that they sold us this pricey tee time without disclosing that finishing 9 would be near impossible. Otherwise, wonderful course.

First time playing the South Course and had an awesome time. The course was beautiful and in great shape. Had a breakfast burrito and a chicken sandwich at the restaurant and the food overall was great. Have to come back again!

So if you are an avid golfer and don't mind spending the money if you're an out of towner, play this course !! If you live in San Diego you have no excuse not to play this course !! Very reasonable for the residents. Got lucky that I was even able to get on, which happened to be 4th of July. But got to play with a great group of guys from North Carolina and had a blast! The views were pretty spectacular on some of the holes! I'll put those pictures on with my review. Nobody can take away my birdie on the first par 3! Besides that, score was nothing to write home about but I knew it was going to be tough. Just fun to say I played the same course that a US Open was held on and we played from the back tees ! Enjoy! ⛳🏌️

We are not golfers, but if I were, I'd imagine that this Torrey Pines golf course would be a bucket list course to play. This and the Ocean course on Kiawah Island are the two most beautiful golf courses that I've ever laid eyes on!
A R — Google review
ATTENTION OUT OF STATE GOLFERS If you’re looking for a special round or planning to make this a highlight of a golf trip and expecting a 5 star experience you will be disappointed. Torrey Pines is simply not worth the price of admission unless you’re local. Appears to me that Torrey Pines could use a punch in the wallet by way of out of state golfers taking their business elsewhere. I wish I had read a review like this before booking. You may be a golf history person and so this will be a bucket list course regardless but the course on its own doesn’t measure up. The Bad: Staff is indifferent at best unless seeking a tip. Nothing bad to say about the people working there but if you just paid $450 to play on a weekend morning you’d think you wouldn’t have to go searching and asking around for a golf cart and load up your own bags. You might expect to have someone talk to you about info on the course, the history, or get any sort of attention from staff at all but that didn’t happen. Weird and inconvenient pro shop set up, can’t pay for your round and the cart fee/range fee at the same place. Breakfast burrito w partially cooked tortilla and a Gatorade $26. No ice chests on the carts, unsealed plastic bags of ice available to purchase. Where one would put that bag is a mystery. You’d probably expect to be impressed by course conditions but you won’t. Crab grass, dirt patches, average bunkers, and yellow grass. Every real course in California has greens this good, Shout out $40 Oceanside golf course. Bathroom after 9th hole was disgusting. The Ugly: Price. $100 booking fee, it’s not a deposit that eventually is applied to your green fee. That’s the cost for the privilege of booking a tee time. $309 green fee, $45 cart fee, $8-$15 range ball fee. It’s insane. Practice area is pathetic and you have to pay to use it. There was nothing left to do but laugh when I heard they were charging for range balls. Cheapest range balls possible, dispensed from a partially functioning golf ball vending machine. Not a grass range, cheap ripped hitting mats leave residue on your clubs. Crab grass consumed chipping area. Practice green doesn’t have cups punched, portable sticks. It all screamed budget course and I love a budget course but instead it was the most expensive round of my life. If you’re gonna charge those prices you need to be held to a much higher standard. The message was loud and clear if you’re not local DON’T COME TO TORREY PINES. It started to feel scammy, name recognition and history gets them a full tee sheet but the course is not doing a single thing to deserve it. They know you won’t be back so they have to wring every last dollar from you while you’re there for the one and only time. The Good: Three free unmarked tees in the cart. Most for the course is not beach front but Hole 3 on the south course is an epic view. Overall views are nice, I’d recommend stopping by and taking some pictures for free. 4.5 hour round was accurate to what the cart message said it would be.

Oaks North Golf Course is a professional-grade golf facility in San Diego, offering 27 holes, a driving range, chipping area, and lessons. Despite being an executive length course, it provides the challenge of a full-length golf course with well-maintained greens and engaging holes. The manicured course features mostly par 4s with manageable yardage but offers an enjoyable and fun playing experience.
If you’re looking for a fun, yet challenging executive course, look no further! The greens and fairways are very well maintained, many bunkers and hazards to maneuver around. This course offers push carts and electric golf carts. They have a driving range and putting and chipping greens. I highly recommend getting the JC membership.

Driving range is very limited. Not many spaces. Putting green is also a bit small. I was still very impressed with this executive course. The conditions were great. Cost is cheap. Carts are slow but they were still fine. The guy I interacted w at the pro shop was the best experience I’ve had at any golf course. And I’ve played 99% of public courses in San Diego. Answered all my questions quickly and even came out of the shop to expedite my cart assignment because I arrived late and had to catch up to my group. The course did feel easy which was nice because I’m really bad at golf. Very open but still looked nice. The par4s were nice. You could use driver on most of them (230-300yd). The vibe here is pretty chill. Many younger players and new players walking.
David P — Google review
Beautiful 27-hole layout. It's in excellent shape. You can leave your driver at home if you wish - a 5 or 3 wood will set you up fine on the par 4s. The staff is very nice. The pro shop and amenities are pretty basic. Fun course!

What a a great golf course for the price! The course was good but what really stood out were the benches. Every holes had a perfectly placed bench BUT these benches had cooling technology and were the perfect height. Would come back for buncha benches and maybe the golf.

In my opinion, this is the best executive course in San Diego. I love this place. 3 very good 9 hole courses, which makes playing 18 great because you get some variety if you play the course a lot like I do. I like very walkable courses - this is an extremely walkable course. Everyone I've met working there is a great person to deal with. Friendliest starters in San Diego! They keep the course in great condition and the price is more than fair.

Well-maintained grass, lots of sloped greens, close to driveways.

Great coarse. The greens are well kept and can be speedy. My one gripe is the tee off boxes, after 50 years of use they are mostly egg shaped. Fun time can be had with 3 hour rounds easily within reach. I always walk here (well roll anyway).

I stayed in a suite with a courtyard view, and my room was very spacious. The lobby, pool facilities, hotel grounds, and bar were all very well kept. I highly recommend Park Hyatt Aviara and would definitely come back! The Miraval Spa was a healing oasis! A heavenly experience of serenity and tranquillity 🌺 Super clean. Side note, we prefer a peaceful, private quiet corner and we were very fortunate that Hyatt accommodated our request to perfection! We got the top floor - suite 505 and it was spacious and beautiful and perfect for my husband and I. Plus it has a GORGEOUS view of golf course, mountains, lagoon and Pacific Ocean in the distance. Was here to attend a friend’s wedding and had the best time. The he rooms were spacious, well equipped and had spectacular views. The food options at the hotel were amazing too. The only thing I think the place could improve on is the late night snack and food options. It’s a popular hotel with weddings and I believe the late night snack option would’ve been amazing. Also, I was surprised to see that there was no minibar. I walked in wanting to grab a beer out of the mini fridge, but there was none available. Opportunity lost, but overall had an amazing experience. Would definitely recommend, esp for gold lovers it’s a great place to be.

Five Star Resort - Globalist Treatment Reviewed May 24, 2024 My wife and I enjoyed our one night stay at the Park Hyatt Aviara Resort in Carlsbad. The resort is in a quiet area east of I-5 with sweeping views of canyons and a distant ocean view. The landscaping is maintained perfectly and the entire property is clean and extremely safe. Our room was upgraded to a beautiful one bedroom suite with two balconies overlooking the central courtyard area. The suite/rooms were very nicely appointed and maintained...definitely befittting a five-star property. The suite was comfortable and very spacious. Staff at check in and at the restaurant were all very professional. Breakfast at the restaurant was very tasty and plentiful with the Globalist "benefits". We were very pleased with the resort, the staff and the experience overall and would happily return for another visit. Date of stay: April 2024

This was my first time my family and I stayed at this resort and it will not be my last. This hotel really caters to all families and the service it provides is unlike anything I have experienced. The rooms were clean, the service was the best and catered to all our needs, the pool was spectacular I could go on and on. The 4th of July event was maybe one of the better events I have ever attended, the food, the bar, the fireworks, the band it was just perfection. I would like to thank Nate (GM) who helped us out with securing a table, taking care of us at the pool, along with Sophia (server). This hotel is 5 stars for a reason, and we look forward to coming back again. Thank you again for a great trip! Gus

We’re so glad we booked The Crossings at Carlsbad a year and a half in advance — it was one of the best decisions we made! Working with Lauren and her amazing team was truly effortless. Their professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail made the entire planning process feel seamless. The venue itself is absolutely stunning, with panoramic views that range from the ocean to lush greenery and trees. Our bridal suite was spacious, modern, and incredibly comfortable — the perfect place to get ready. The food? Delicious. The drinks? Even better! We had 188 guests and the reception space fit everyone perfectly, creating such a lively, full atmosphere. Another highlight: the wedding package we chose included cake and desserts from VG Bakery — a true San Diego classic. Guests raved about the sweets, and we loved that it added a local, nostalgic touch to the celebration. We’re still getting compliments from guests saying it’s one of their favorite venues they’ve ever been to. #nobigdeal

5 stars for the 5 hr round. No real way around the time it takes to complete. Distance between holes, and for sure is crowded makes it impossible to complete sooner. 17 of 18 greens were in great condition (one par 3 needs some help). Tee boxes overall were good to great. The elevation changes, scenery, course layout, all so unique. Clubhouse/cart return, beverage carts, all were friendly and helpful. Can't wait to play a round here again.

This course is great, I’ve been playing it for the past 13 years on a regular basis. Very well maintained and a lot of really nice beautiful holes. My only complaint is pace of play is awful. It’s almost always close to a 5 hr. round. They really need to have a Marshall on the course moving people along.

Located 15 kilometers from San Diego's city center, Mission Trails Golf Course is ranked 38 out of 186 Things To Do in the area. The course offers a diverse landscape with gurgling valleys on the first 9 holes and views of Lake Murray on the next 9. It presents challenges and modern amenities against the backdrop of Mount Cowles. While some reviewers have criticized the grass, others find it to be a fun and challenging course with impressive hole layouts.
The pro shop staff was helpful and friendly. The price was right, and we played fast. Also, I recommend the tuna sandwich at the turn.

This was a nice public course at a good price. We enjoyed our round today and the pace of play was a little slow but not bad. No yardage markers but we used the 18 Birdie app to give us distances. Fairways were average but greens were nice. We will definitely come back.

This course charges full price during green aeration. Cannot believe I paid $55 to walk this course. They did not communicate that the course was under maintenance, and I had to figure it out myself on the first green. Everywhere I’ve played in San Diego has discounted green fees when greens have been sanded/stamped. Practically had to beg the two guys in the pro shop for a free bucket of range balls (that expired same day lol). Save your money and go elsewhere. There are plenty of cheaper, well maintained tracks in the area. Edit: It appears someone from the pro shop replied to my review. I am aware that courses require maintenance. The issue is charging customers full price during aeration. Mission Trails utilizes a “dynamic” pricing system, so they easily could lower the price during periods of course maintenance.

Course is in pretty poor condition in many places where rough and even fairway gives way to dirt patches at times, for the price to pay course should be in nicer condition. It is also shown as a course that takes youth on course but they don't allow anyone to use it if they've made a tee time which was not communicated clearly anywhere on the website when booking a tee time. However, the course does have some fun holes and good views.

Finding the place was a bit of a challenge. Apple Maps had us in the opposite side. We ended up playing a nine hole round. The greens were nice and although all par 3’s it was challenging and fun. I forgot to mention they also rent clubs. We had so much fun.

I’m raising my grandchildren and I am sooooo grateful to have this amazing place for them. They have learned soooooo much from the amazing staff here. Golfing is about so much more than golfing. They are learning respect, responsibility, manners, integrity, honesty etc.

Great Par 3 course. Amazing views. Well kept greens and good view! You only need 3 clubs, 2 wedges maybe a pitching and 56° or 60° and your putter.

Was my first time golfing ever and my fiance took me here to try. I'm so glad we chose this course! I had a lot of fun and it didn't feel too hard and pressure for a newbie like me. Other more experienced golfers have said they liked it as well. Give it a try it's a fun course.

Had some time to kill before our flight out and found this awesome place. Yes they will rent you the one or two clubs you need to take on this course. Super fun, lots of variety on the holes and some great views. Very affordable too. Absolutely loved it and would recommend it to anyone that needs a little quick 2 hours of fun.

What an amazing find! We had such a great time on this short 18-hole beautifully manicured, well-maintained course - absolutely perfect for working on your short game and just having fun. Hilly with water hazards and bunkers to keep things interesting - and pretty!

Fun, challenging, the holes are coming along great grass looks great very playable greens are fine they're getting better and better the staff was very hospitable and very helpful with tips for the course my friends and I will definitely be back soon.

Played today 11/3/24 and as of this review this course is not ready to be played. I understand it’s a soft opening and admire the work that has been done thus far. 4.5 hour pace of play, tee boxes are in good shape, new sand in the bunkers, fairways are muddy, greens are patchy, small putting/chipping and there is no range. I highly advise anyone reading this review to save your money and go down the street to play the Vineyard at Escondido for the same price. I love my JC Golf Courses but I expected much better conditions especially paying $69 for the round. I recommend coming back in February for the grand opening but as things stand it is not worth your time or money to play here.

Last year when I reviewed this course I referred to it as a cow pasture. Nice to see the improvements JC Golf has made. Greens were in good condition last week when we played and fairways are coming along nicely. Staff was very friendly and we will definitely come back. Nice Job!!

Every time I come back, the fairways are getting better. The greens are fully grown in. It has a ways to go, but Dos Osos is very playable.
Gregg T — Google review
Really great, somewhat tight layout. The course is beautiful, greens are well kept and fairways are true. We played mid-august so the fairways and greens had some dead areas, but VERY minimal in comparison to some more expensive local courses. I will definitely be playing here again.
Logan H — Google review
I have been playing Dos Osos at least once a month for a year and can't say enough about the improvement each month. Having said that, golfers need to be aware of "You get what you pay for". This is a great value right now. At some point the prices will need to increase. It is still a work in progress. It is not close to pristine but certainly playable. Yes, you might have to improve your lie now and then. The greens are getting to be very nice but I would guess left intentionally slow as they continue to heal from previous neglect. PLEASE repair at least two ball marks on every green you play. Sadly some golfers refuse to repair their own. Others refuse to rake the bunkers after they tromp around. It looks like Dos Osos could become a real gem. Not sure how long that will take but I will continue to enjoy it as a great practice course and eventually a go to course. At this time there is not a driving range. There is a practice green and two first come first serve nets for warming up. Very friendly staff every time I visit. Don't expect too much but if you play please help by taking care of this up and coming option in Escondido.

This course is a hidden gem. Really great layout, and JC has made a lot of improvements. Greens are still a little slow, and some fairways are still being worked on, but JC will continue to improve these areas, I think. They have a great back patio with misters that overlook hole 18. Great course!

I’m a relatively new golfer. I’ve been playing for about a year now. I know a little about the history of this place because a buddy of mine played here when it was Eagle Crest, pre-covid. I haven’t played a lot of courses yet. So far I’ve played Oaks North, The Fountains at The Welk, Twin Oaks, Mt Woodson and now Dos Osos. Give this course a year or so and this course will be miles better than the other courses I’ve played. The fairways were in rough shape, but I know they’re still repairing everything. I’d say the fairways were still in very acceptable shape though. The greens looked great, and played slower than I’m used to, but I found putting on slower greens a lot more satisfying because then you put a little more power on your putts. But what really stands out on this course is the layout. The layout is so much fun, and fairly forgiving. The course is located in a gated community, so pay attention to the booking email for the gate code. The staff was also the friendliest of all those other places I’ve played. I took a star away because I do feel like $79 is a little much when the fairways are still being worked on. That being said, I’d still pay $79 to play here vs $100 at Mt Woodson. Regrettably I didn’t take any photos to assist people with this review, but if $79 isn’t too much for you, this place is awesome!

Excellent course! We played our second of 2 18s here and really enjoyed it. Feels like a very upscale course, quick greens but a good challenge. Best "turn dog" of the golf trip weekend. Would definitely play again!

Bonita Golf Course is in great condition for August on about 80% of the holes. The rest were still okay but some fairway damage. We really enjoyed it. The holes are mostly flat but there are still plenty of challenges. If we were not playing with regulars we would have gotten lost making our way from hole to hole. Not laid out or signed very well. But still fun. The green rolled quick and true and were in good shape. Around the outside of the course there is a hiking/walking trail, that had people riding horses. Great treat in the San Diego area for not too much money.
Rebecca M — Google review
$72 dollars and every other green had massive chunks taken out, no ball washer station and even no yardages at the tee boxes. How is this place more expensive than Balboa? I asked a lot of the regulars if it typically takes 5 hours to finish the 18, they said yes. LONG day of waiting at the tee box. It gets a star for layout though. The layout is a good time with a lot of circling back to the club house and snack shack.

Definitely, recommended if you’re on a tight budget. Our wedding theme was Simple Elegant. We’re both minimalist. We drove down from AZ, great thing we managed to pack light for the decor etc., our friends helped too. Hands down! Working with Keli for 9 months has been rewarding. She is great a communicator, a team player, attentive to details, visionary, flexible and supportive. She is not a typical salesman. You will not burnt out your wallet with this venue. No hidden fees. This don’t happen often, surprisingly, we paid less than what we originally budgeted for the venue cost. That alone is a blessing! On the wedding day, her team was so kind to working with us during the ceremony, we were 30 mins delay and had to push back the lunch schedule as well. We did not get extra charged. They took care of my high anxiety with their patience. The food was 100% amazing. Great choice ordering the lemon chicken and beef brisket buffet style. Our wedding guests could not stop talking about the delicious meal. The space was indeed what we asked for any sizes of 50-300 guests. We had 120 guests attended on a Saturday afternoon (paid for 150 people no refunds unattended), there were still plenty of space inside and available seatings. The outside was stunning. People love the Mountain View background and greenery golf grass. I enjoy the easy access to the parking lot and clubhouse. We brought our own desserts which saved us a ton of money. They provided microphones, iPhone adapter for our iPhone Spotify playlist songs, a podium, refrigerator, table cloths, easel, and extra outside set up tables all for free of charged. I can go on and on! Bottom line, I don't have bad news to say about this venue. Give her a call, be up front what you're looking for, she'll work with your budget. #nudrew2023 #staymarried #weddingvenue #glorydays

Great course. A little pricey, but what isn’t these days you get what you pay for, twilight rate is good value. Weekends are much busier than weekdays. Staff and facilities always seem to perform better than comparably priced alternatives. I’m not impressed with the eight dollar “tall boys” a tall boy is 24 ozs not a pint. Attendant at snack shack is nice but she likes to lean over the receipt when you decide if to tip. (lol no taxes on tips is only going to bring more entitlement) Want to remove a star or two for that but it should really be about the golf course and conditions which are fair for the price. Snack shack professionalism and pricing is the low point of the entire facility. BYOB or keep a clear head to focus on the game. Main grill near the clubhouse is good.

Fun course! Wide enough so you won't lose too many balls. But a bit of a circus trying to stay on course. Some holes overlap making it a bit tricky but not a reason to skip this course. Unfortunately we played at 5 PM and there were no carts available 😢! So we had to walk the entire course... 😤😫. The Bar & Grill has a great menu and FULL Bar!!!

One of my favorite courses. Always great weather and amazing people .Course is always in great shape and is always green (other than some tee boxes) Anya makes the best burgers at the club house she is the best! I come here at least once a month and plan on bringing more of my friends!

Super-nice staff. Nice little exec course with awesome fairways and greens, but tees are a bit chewed up. It's a great short game tune-up. "Members" can be a bit chirpy and unpleasant about the pace of play but will def come back next time I'm on this coast.
Chris C — Google review
Friday father's day weekend. Paid a full rate for a course where ALL not some tees but all of them were moved way forward turning this nice executive into a course too short to enjoy. This is becoming a pattern in some courses to maximize profits by shorting the course and the time it takes to play it. It has nothing to do with letting the tee box heal. It is time to ask courses to disclose in advance if they moved the boxes and give us the opportunity to choose to play elsewhere before we book. Or offer a discount like other courses do when they punch the greens.
Mario R — Google review
Staff and management need several courses in customer service. Worst golfing experience in 40 years. In fact did not play due to the rude treatment we got. Terrible experience. Hope others are treated better. Based on Yelp reviews we are not the only complaint regarding their customer service. Wrote a detailed letter to management Jason and never got a response .... one would think!

So I'm giving these guys a low score so you stop showing up for the best round of golf in under three hours. I go because I meet the best folks on the course. Go as a single you may meet your mate for life.

Absolutely the worst golf experience in my life. Never ever try this! Also, I got ripped-off. The staff are unbelievably unfriendly. I can't believe it! They looked as if they were going out of business.

This is the best "executive" course I have EVER played in the past 25 years of golfing. The staff is wonderful and they keep the course in terrific condition. I joined their frequent Players Club and I play after 11am for $5 a round (walking) plus they give you a coupon for a free beer or soda for after the round. This is just a terrific place. (They do have regular riding carts and pull carts available.)

PROS: Fun little executive course. Good pace of play. Perfect for beginners. Nice greens about 9 on the stimpmeter. Well stocked proshop. Beautiful scenery. CONS: Teeboxes are horrible. Hardly any that are level. Bunkers are not in good shape. Looks like they don't drain well and the sand was more like mud.

Chula Vista Golf Course & Venue is a classic golf course nestled in a river valley, designed by the renowned Billy Casper. While it boasts an abundance of trees, the layout may lack some variety and its condition can be inconsistent. However, it offers a solid golfing experience at a reasonable price. As a wedding venue, Chula Vista Golf Course provides couples with a picturesque setting and elegant event spaces to create their perfect day.
We hosted our Babies in Bloom baby shower at this venue and couldn’t have been happier. The staff was incredibly attentive the entire time—constantly checking in to make sure everything ran smoothly and that each of our stations stayed tidy and stocked. The food was delicious—we chose the sunrise breakfast buffet option with a mimosa station and danishes, and our guests raved about all of it! What made the experience even better was how easy they made the setup and tear-down. Their team handled everything with care, which allowed us to actually enjoy the day. Unlike other venues, they don’t nickel-and-dime you with extra charges for every little thing. Big shout out and thank you to Rebecca and Breanna - their responsiveness and kind professionalism made the planning and event stress-free and enjoyable! Highly recommend this venue to anyone looking for a beautiful, well-run space for their next event!

While the conditions aren’t the best, give them a little break since a year ago the entire golf course was under water! But for $29 to walk on a weekday you really can’t complain. The staff is friendly and the greens are in pretty good shape. We had to wait on most tees but still finished in 4.5 hrs. Glad to see a local muni still thriving and at an affordable rate! Course is super flat so it’s really walkable too.
Andy H — Google review
The golf course is in a great location. The fairways are pretty beat up. The greens are decent. The bunkers need new sand. It’s probably one the best walkable courses in the area. It has a lot of potential. It needs a lot of work. I played during weekday, and the reason for the four stars is due to the price. It’s very affordable. For that price and decent greens, it’s great to get a round done.
Berserk T — Google review
Do not ever golf here. They charged 80 bucks for this quality. Sprinklers going off mid day 85% of the corse covered in dirt and pot holes. But hey the greens are 2.5 stars worthy
Casey D — Google review
First things first.. Matt in the Pro shop is very professional and respectful. Chula Vista has always been decent in my experience, sure there's plenty of dirt in the fairways but they're trying real hard. #2 & 5 fairways were just resodded and hopefully it's just the beginning. The tee boxes are mostly grass now and the greens are the best part of the course. More golfers need to fix their ball marks on the greens, I found myself fixing at least 3 per hole. Shame on you if you don't feel you need to. Pace of play was good for a Thursday morning. Good day of golf.
Joel R — Google review
Great venue for family events. I have attended quince's and a Mother's day brunch. The price point is reasonable and the quality and service is outstanding. The food selection is an array and variation of breakfast and lunch. I recommend visiting at least more than once.

Absolutely horrific course. Each fairway is 70% hard packed dirt. Paid for 18 holes but course was so backed up only got to play 9. Staff is really nice but incredibly disappointing. Not worth discounted price let alone the full price. Save your money and go to another course.
Nawal R — Google review
A couple of the holes were under construction and we were not advised of this. The tee boxes for these 2 holes were moved up and it made for an interesting round. The fairways are quite dry. The greens were very fast. Still, it was a nice day on the golf course.

A Perfect Wellness Experience at the Fairmont Grand Del Mar My recent visit to the Fairmont Grand Del Mar was truly exceptional, highlighted by one of the best pool yoga experiences I've ever had. We came to the Grand Del Mar for our anniversary. The property is beautiful. The pools were nice, the room was lovely and comfortable. We had lovely dining experiences at Amaya with respect to the wait staff and they also brought us drinks and a dessert to celebrate our anniversary. The steak was not, however, worth the price in our opinion. Unfortunately, the overall experience was not quite what we expected from a resort of this caliber. For instance, there was no sunscreen at the pool either day after we were told there would be. The service at the pool was incredibly slow. It took upwards of 40 min to get chips and dip. The second day we were at the pool, there were no cups out at the water dispensers at the pool and the water clearly had not been changed from the day before as it was close to empty. When pool service started at 11, we asked for water right away. We were told they would be coming around with water shortly. I watched the waiter take water to most other people but not us. My husband finally got up and found the pitcher himself after we waited at least 20 minutes. Another strange thing that happened was that someone came to check our minibar around 6 pm in the evening when we were getting ready for dinner. Our room had not been ready until about 4, so it was surprising they needed to get in so soon after to check something. We used spa services the first day we were there and our massages were amazing. The facilities were nice. However, no one told us there was a co-ed relaxation area, so we waited separately before our massages. My husband had to go out and ask for assistance after waiting awhile in the locker area not knowing how anything worked. Overall, we did enjoy our stay. All of these little concerns though would give us pause in a booking a future stay. We have been to other luxury resorts in the area and have experienced better customer service and care elsewhere.

My recent stay at the Fairmont Grand Del Mar was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the warmth, professionalism, and genuine care every team member showed. A special mention goes to Dylan and Nok at the front desk — their gracious attitude, attentiveness, and friendly energy made me feel immediately welcomed and valued. They went above and beyond to ensure every detail of my stay was perfect, embodying the spirit of true five-star service. Even when a minor issue came up with the toilet flush, housekeeping responded promptly and efficiently, resolving it within minutes — a testament to the property’s dedication to excellence and seamless guest experience. From the immaculate grounds and luxurious ambiance to the impeccable customer service and heartfelt hospitality, every moment at the Fairmont Grand Del Mar exceeded my expectations. This resort doesn’t just offer luxury — it delivers genuine care and flawless service that make you want to return again and again. Highly recommended to anyone looking for an unforgettable stay in San Diego!

Was amazed at the beauty of the massive grounds of this property. Very green and lush everywhere. Views everywhere of the stunning lawns and open areas. The umbrellas all over the property are stunning ! Loved the bocce ball area and the pickle ball courts and of course the gorgeous golf course that surrounds the 400 acres. Loved our large patio with the fire pit where we enjoyed every evening and morning. The food was lacking, but Del Mar and Solana Beach restaurants are so close, and have sunset views so it wasn’t a big deal to us . Also the rooms are big and comfy but could use an update but they were very clean, bed so comfy and never been in a hotel so quiet in the room at night . We stayed in a Vista Suite and it was super nice with mini kitchen and mini fridge and table to play games or eat. We will be back!

I had high expectations for what was advertised as a 5-star luxury hotel, but what I experienced was anything but luxurious. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that this property is not equipped to handle the level of service and hospitality it promises. Staff & Service: The staff across the entire property were incredibly slow and inattentive. From check-in to room service and everywhere in between, we were met with long waits, lack of communication, and a general sense of disorganization. It didn’t feel like a luxury experience – it felt like they were understaffed and overwhelmed. Dining Options: There was only one main restaurant on-site, which is baffling for a resort claiming to be five-star. The menu was extremely limited, uninspired, and repetitive. The kids’ menu was even worse – the same four items were offered everywhere: in the restaurant and by the pool. No variety, no thoughtfulness, just the bare minimum. Event Experience – Wedding Disaster: We were attending a wedding during our stay and were horrified to find the ballroom’s A/C wasn’t working. The room was hot, stuffy, and completely unpleasant. The air quality was so bad that even the staff working the event looked visibly distressed and uncomfortable. It completely ruined what should have been a beautiful celebration. Fire Alarm Incident: As if that wasn’t enough, the fire alarm went off for no apparent reason during our stay. Security evacuated the entire building, which is understandable, but when I explained that my baby was upstairs in our room, they refused to let me go to her. I was forced to wait in a chaotic and stressful situation, not knowing if she was okay. My older daughter suffered a panic/anxiety attack during the ordeal, and there was little to no support or empathy from the staff. Overall Experience: This stay was not just disappointing — it was stressful, chaotic, and unacceptable on so many levels. This hotel is not ready to carry a 5-star label, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing or safe stay. We left more exhausted and distressed than when we arrived. Rating: ★☆☆☆☆ (1 out of 5) Do yourself a favor and book elsewhere.

A Memorable Stay During Our Daughter’s Move-In at UC San Diego My wife, eldest daughter, and I had the pleasure of staying at the Fairmont Grand Del Mar last week while moving our daughter into UC San Diego — and the experience was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, the service was top-notch. A special thank you to Sage, Guest Services Supervisor, who gave us a warm and thoughtful welcome. We also appreciated the professionalism and hospitality of Nenad, Nathan, and Amanda in the executive office — they truly made us feel at home. The accommodations were excellent, and the adult spa pool team provided engaging, attentive service that elevated our relaxation time. It was also a pleasure to meet Swamy, Director of Engineering, who was actively out on the property ensuring everything was running smoothly — a great sign of leadership. And a shoutout to Shea, Food & Beverage Manager, whom I met while enjoying a morning coffee — your passion for hospitality shines through. Thank you to the entire team for making our stay so memorable. Keep up the great work — we look forward to returning!

2025-10. Hello, we celebrated our Anniversary at the Fairmont Amaya restaurant and we sat outside which was wonderful. The atmosphere and sunny weather was excellent. Our son visited us from LA and treated us to their Sunday Brunch. Unfortunately, the food was not very good. My wife had the Benedict which had crab meat which tasted like it was out of a can, and not very fresh. We also ordered bread and it was burnt black and not eatable. They took it away and brought back bread which was hard and not eatable too. The other dishes were ok but not Fairmont calibre. The service was good, our son liked the smoothie, and the coffee was excellent. Hopefully we can try it again and try other dishes and return it if not satisfied. We probably should have complained when we tasted the food. Hope this review helps.

Hikers can explore miles of unspoiled beaches and see the rare Torrey Pine that gives the park its name. The hike starts at the shores of the Pacific and offers various trails to explore.
Absolutely amazing place to admire the ocean and the waves. A must see sunset spot in San Diego. Truly breathtaking views.

I feel so blessed to live close to Torrey Pines State Beach. I get to enjoy the incredible views every day! In my opinion, it’s the most beautiful beach in the world. The stunning cliffs, the wide sandy shore, and the peaceful atmosphere make it truly special. Highly recommend a visit to anyone who loves nature and breathtaking scenery!
Rebecca M — Google review
Mesmerizing! This beach offers one of the best sunset views in Southern California! It was not at all crowded when we went there. There was a $15 parking fee, though if you’re lucky you can get a free spot roadside (though not sure if it’s legal). I will recommend coming here for the serene environment and of course the view!❤️
Tanmay K — Google review
Beautiful! Huge beach, large cliff face on one side, clear water. What's not to love?! We could have stayed there for hours is we hadn't just gotten done hiking in the state park. A must go and worth paying the money just to have an easy and convenient place to park. But don't miss out on the views higher up in the park!
ZK P — Google review
I absolutely love this beach! From dolphins to the occasional seal, this beach has everything you would want. Parking is plentiful especially if you get there early. The state park has lots of parking on both side of the highway as well. It's a beautiful place to watch the sunset and swim or surf. If you walk south along the ocean, you will eventually come to Blacks Beach. It's a beautiful beach hike. If you like rocks, there are a variety of rocks, that get washed up every day.

I am so blessed to live near this beautiful beach! 💯✨️ I come all the time. I go for long walks with my husband on the beach, 🌊 or hit the trails with friends. It is my happy place!! 🤗

Wow... Just wow. Every turn you're hit with a jaw dropping view. We parked our car just before the north beach parking lot and got one of the few coveted free parking spots near the beach. Highly recommend visiting on a weekday and getting there a bit early if you want to avoid paying the 20$ parking fee. The hike itself is very easy... With a gradual gradient. There are plenty of trails branching off from the main road that take you to some of the most beautiful overlooks I've seen. Really loved the hike that took us to Red Butte... Yucca Point and the beach. We hiked on a super cloudy day but it still it did get quite warm during some parts of the hike. So I recommend carrying plenty of water and making sure you're hydrated. And slather on a generous amount of sun screen as well... Even if it's cloudy. Because you will be exposed to all the elements throughout the hike.

Miniature golf course
Tiki Town Adventure Golf is an 18-hole mini golf course located inside Belmont Park, featuring a tropical island theme and suitable for all ages. In addition to miniature golf, the venue offers activities such as wall climbing and laser tag. Visitors can win a $5 game card by scoring a hole-in-one. The facility is well-maintained despite high foot traffic, offering good value for the price of admission.
I went with two other friends and the experience was great! The mini golf is actually long and fun. Make sure you get a nice drink and have fun!
Miriam M — Google review
The courses were fun! The pricing was reasonable. The only downside was that we had to wait for about 10-15 minutes so we could get some golf balls. Also when you get to the next course, you had to wait until the group ahead of you were finished so it could get tiresome. We had a big group with two children. Sometimes it felt like you were being rushed.
Erika S — Google review
Reasonable course. Was more fun when it was decorated for Halloween... Due to a party booking, we were only allowed to play one course. Would have been nice if they kept it clean of debris from the trees. A bit pricey at $14/person for 9 holes. Parking is very limited.

My Family and I had a Great time at this place! We were visiting from Arizona and this was a nice way to spend Saturday night with the Fam :) .
Diana V — Google review
I had fun! There were a couple of unique holes with fun mechanics. Probably more fun with kids. Took about 5/10 mins to get in, but there were a lot of people so we had to wait at each hole. I think it would be better to come on a weekday when you can take your time.
Sarah H — Google review
My daughter loves this place; it’s a no-thrills mini golf. It's an easy course and a lot of it is indoors, so you can get out of the sun for a bit. In the winter, they have limited hours, so call ahead to confirm. In the summer, it can get busy, but lots of places to step aside and let other groups play through.
AbeZ62 — Google review
For not being into miniature golf the experience wasn't bad. No real place to stand to wait for your turn at each hole. The course was challenging and fun once I got into playing.
William T — Google review
We visited over my kids spring break. We went on a Monday and the area was busy but not bad, there was no wait to get started. If you plan on doing other things at Belmont Park, perhaps buying tickets or a wristband before would save you a little time, but we had no issues. The course was nice and great for our kids, 9 and 7. The overall experience was good and the location is awesome, free parking was plentiful in the area. Good experience, thanks!

Visitors have praised the well-maintained course and challenging holes that offer risk-and-reward opportunities reminiscent of Southeast Asian courses. The pro shop offers an array of merchandise, while the practice facilities and comfortable carts enhance the overall experience.
I LOVE this place. They have great prices for golfing. Their cafeteria is super cozy and they have good options at a good price. Excellent venue for parties . Amazing views. Customer service too.

I was sitting in my patio, enjoying the sun while one of the golfers hit my window and shattered glass all over me. I caught the guy while I’m looking at the window and I yelled at him. Hey, you broke my glass. He said no I did not. Ignored as never happened . I went to the club owner the manager, and I showed him all the photo and all the glass and the golf ball Who hit my window and broke my double glass window.🤬 and he hundred percent ignored . it and he said we have no responsibility for golfers and we can’t force them to come and talk to you 😡 I would like to know what is exactly your responsibility when your golfers enjoying their play and I have to pay for the window which they broke ?!!. How even you’re running a business with not having any responsibility?!! They would not put me in contact with the golfer. Now I have to pay for my window while I was in a stress situation while that happened and have been ignored by the manager of the club that they are not responsible for the golfers as they are few golfers and one of them signed so the one who sign has to be responsible for any damage to any properties or any injury as your regulation please see attached all the photos . they said we can pass your number to them, but it doesn’t mean they’re gonna contact me This is the ridiculous ridiculous awful management. We’re going ahead with all the neighbours around and we’re filing complaints against them . You should be responsible for the any damage, or injuries that caused by your golfers causing to our properties . For your information, one of the worker mentioned were responsible for our home to be here and if caused any damage, we’re responsible for it not them, even though .

If this place had the passion for having a good driving range and well kept course as they do for the dress code. Please have a look at the range mats I took pictures of. I felt like I was hitting off of the concrete there is hardly any turf it’s ripped and has no option for tees. There are maybe 15 driving range boxes and they are ALL terrible. It’s obvious that this USED to be a country club, the old days of that club are LOOOOOONG gone but the rules still remain no carts in the parking lot etc. I think that this and National City golf course are the worse kept courses in San Diego but at least national city isn’t pretending to be a country club like this place is. Take your money else where don’t spend it cause it obviously doesn’t go to the facilities here. Fix the golf course or drop the rules cant have both.
Corey E — Google review
Played course on August 11th, 2024. Course has great amenities such as driving range, chipping, and putting greens. Staff was friendly and very helpful. They also have a marshall who drives around often along with a cart girl who you see at least twice. As for the course it is a very good layout which can be challenging and punishing if you don't shape your shots correctly. Conditions of the course are pretty good. However, there are some spots within the fairway that are patching and need some attention. The bunkers are some of the best maintained i've seen since living in California. As for the greens, they are currently being extended to make the larger so they have a lot of bumps and uneven lies. But, majority of the putts rolled very well and nothing to complain about. I would give another star but because of the work currently getting done I gave it three. I will come back in a few months to give it a better rating. Highly recommend this course to players.
Ovell I — Google review
Do not go to this course. The only reason they exist is to try and take as much of your money as possible and look down their nose at you while doing so. They completely made up a "San Diego County Resident Card" that you'd have to buy for $40/year that will only work at their course in order to get the SD county rate. The City card for Torrey, Balboa, and Mission Bay is only $25 BTW. They also yell at you for taking longer than 3 hours and 50 min to play a round. The owners of this course should just turn it private if that's what they want to do -- but the conditions of the greens don't warrant a private course ether so maybe that's why? Avoid at all costs. There are PLENTY of other great courses in San Diego that treat their players well, don't charge crazy fees, have a nice staff, and take care of their course.
Todd A — Google review
No longer an option for a San Diego course. They increased their rate to $150 putting it above Torrey. Now they've implemented their own $40 San Diego Resident Card....just for their course (an actual San Diego Resident Card is $25). The owners are trying to make a private course without putting in the effort to warrant one.

BUYER BEWARE! I called the number on the website to book a tee time. I was playing with my son and asked if they had a junior rate. The lady not only confirmed the rate, she put me on hold to double check with pro shop. I showed up the morning of and they charged the full rate for my son. After explaining that the booking agent gave the lesser rate, the “club pro” admitted that it happens and they “lie” about rates. After all that they still wouldn’t honor the rate. Side note- this was my 3rd time playing here in the last 10 days after 7 years. I was just spreading the word about how great it was to all my fellow golfer friends. Way to screw that up and lose a customer.

Overpriced, Pretentious, and Disrespectful— Go to Bonita Instead Quick Summary: Harassed the father in front of me trying to teach his daughter Charged us, then denied my brother for dress code (despite same attire as me) Course is fine, but not worth the price or attitude Bonita Golf Course nearby is far better, welcoming, and full of life Full Review: I play golf often and travel to some pretty remote spots for scenic views and great experiences. So when I saw the price at this course, I was pretty confused. The course is nice, sure, but not for what they’re charging, and certainly not for the treatment my party received. And it wasn’t just to us. A father in front of us was trying to teach his daughter how to play, and the staff member insisted the father also pay, even though he clearly wasn’t dressed for it and had no clubs. It was sad watching the guy get pressured just to support his daughter. Now originally I came just to hit the driving range with my younger brother and teach him some fundamentals. I’m fairly fit due to prior military service, but my brother is a bigger guy, and a much darker skinned Hispanic. Still we were dressed the same and both presentable enough for a driving range. The guy at the front desk took my money, then immediately looked my brother up and down (literally came around the booth complaining already) and denied him access, citing “improper dress code.” No issue with me, just him. Hopefully just a size bias, and it wasn’t subtle. Little argument for my money back but hey, they ain't literal thief's. Mind you, we had already spent 30 minutes on etiquette: how to handle gear, pace of play, respect for others. I even made a light joke that we’re not pros, just regular guys playing soft balls not Pro V1's. It was supposed to be a relaxed day. Instead, it turned sour fast. The staffer even dropped a line about this being a “private luxury club.” But honestly, the lot had beat-up trucks and two guys literally changing behind towels. If you like pretending to be wealthy while looking down on others, this is the place for you. If you actually love golf? Go down the street to Bonita Golf Course. They treated us like family. The staff there laughed with us, told us we could show up in ski suits for all they cared, and were just happy to see someone teaching the game. Beautiful facility, lively 19th hole pub, and players who actually looked like they were having a good time. This place? It’s not about golf. It’s about feeling superior. And even the clerk let slip they’ve had “too many troublemaking teens” lately, so keep that in mind too. They’re on edge and clearly looking for reasons to turn people away. Save your money. Save your dignity. Go to Bonita.

Have been to Pelly’s for mini-golf many times over the years. I appreciate that they stay on top of repairs and keep the place clean and fun for kids of all ages. I also appreciate the signs and fun facts about oceans and the importance of recycling to keep our oceans and waterways clean.

This is just for mini golf - Clean and easy. No real obstacles if you’re looking for goofy golf. It’s the same type of holes repeated just oriented differently with a different decoration and cute ocean factoid. Don’t go on a weekend if you are impatient. Some Of the holes aren’t week lit if you’re there at night. Go once but that’ll be enough. However the driving range and regular putting greens look stunning. So, great way for the real golfers to hit the range and keep the groups of goofy golfers held up but having them play 36 mini golf courses which get jammed up with all the groups.
Breana M — Google review
The mini golf is awesome, it's only $10 for 18 holes. There are two courses, and you will get through one pretty quick. I'd definitely recommend playing both, it's only $15 for 36 holes. The design is pretty unique, it's a pirate-themed course. The mini golf is right next to a driving range and a putting practice area. Really fun mini golf. ⛳

This was our first time here, and we were in a mini golf playing mood! The staff was incredibly friendly and that made the experience all the better, even recommending the Ocean Adventure course. There are other golf option like a driving range and putting greens. For the mini golf specifically, you can choose one of two 18 hole courses, or for a little more you can do both. For one course and two people it was only $20. The course was a little basic, but fun nevertheless.

Located right across from the racetrack / fair grounds. We were here for putt putt (aka mini golf). Two different courses to choose from with different themes. Holes and course are well maintained. It appears they offer beer or other drinks to enjoy, but we arrived early in the morning and it was not open yet. Fun course with good obstacles!

I’d rate this dump 0 stars if I could. The owner didn’t notify us of closing time so 65 dollars went down the hole. She sent her minions to kick us off the course and refused us a refund. The lighting in the place pretty shabby and so was the course. Go somewhere else!!

Cottonwood Golf Club, located in East County, offers two courses - Ivanhoe and the Lakes. Despite its unassuming appearance, it provides great value for golfers. The Ivanhoe course is known for its length and challenge, while the Lakes course features eight water features. The mature trees lining the fairways give the course a classic feel. Although the fairways may need some work, the greens are well-maintained.
Beautiful day out at the course. Cottonwood helped us host a tournament and we had a blast, they made it easy for us. Thanks,

Great value course especially mid week rates. Gives old school vibes and the bar and restaurant always impress. Range is short irons only (150yrd max) and all dirt hitting off mats. Two separate and well maintained chipping and sand practice areas. Wish we lived closer.
Matt L — Google review
This is not a bad course, this is single handedly the worst course I have ever seen. A disrespect to golf and the game. Somebody took dirt, mowed random grass patches, and added a flag in a hole to putt into. If you’re from out of town stay far and clear - waste of money, time, and hopes.
Jordan G — Google review
The golf course is good, it’s not great, with a lot of potential. The fairways need a lot of work but it seems to be the standard for most affordable golf courses around San Diego. The greens are in great shape. The back nine is fun to play! Some interesting layouts. The staff is friendly and helpful enough to get by. I will play it again if the opportunity presents itself.
Berserk T — Google review
I most recently played CW on 5/25/2025. I do play Cottonwood at least once a week. I am also a member of its Men’s Club. I love playing CW. It has a great layout and its location is scenic and rustic. Historically, it was a great course for many years and was the site for many great tournaments and events. It has seen ownership changes over the years and, unfortunately, ownership has not invested the funds necessary to keep it, or get it, in optimal condition. The tee boxes are spotty, the fairways have bare spots, the course has more gophers than golfers, there are too many dead trees, healthy trees are not maintained, the cart paths are dirt and replete with pot holes, the bunkers are more dirt than sand, course signage is old and in disrepair, ball washes are few and far between, bathroom facilities are C-condition at best, and the Pro Shop isn’t. The greens are good, but, unfortunately, golfers do not fix their ball marks (or repair their divots) and it appears there is insufficient staff to do these repairs on a regular basis. The bar and food are pretty good but the facilities are old and minimal. The driving range is a joke. There are good putting and chipping/pitching areas. That being said, there is a special charm and challenge to this course that make it worthwhile to play. The conditions that existed when I last played, and that currently exist this May of 2025 for CW are pretty good and make the course fun to play. If only ownership would invest more into this course it could be great. For me, I will continue to play it regularly as I really like the course and its quirky charms.
Steve K — Google review

A bit dried out in spots, range is horrible if you can call it that but has an excellent chipping area, the overall track is fun, greens in excellent shape, bunkers horrible but got paired with two nice playing partners, cute fun cart girl served us shots and pro shop guy couldn't have been nicer and more welcoming. Flat and walkable which is a plus for me. I'll be back.
Mean G — Google review
This was once one of the premier golf courses in San Diego County, now the Ivanhoe course is still intact and the greens are in relatively good condition. The rest of the course is not maintained at the highest level. Nonetheless the course is still very fun and I enjoy playing it.

This is a great course to learn to golf, take kids or friends who are new to the activity. It’s low cost, not too challenging, and the people are friendly. It’s very walkable. No dress code, casual culture. It’s a community course, not fancy but an enjoyable round of golf.

Rancho Carlsbad Golf Course is a great par 3 course—perfect for beginners but fun for all skill levels. I was greeted like I was a regular even without a tee time. Berry in the pro shop was super friendly and got us set up with clubs, balls, tees, and drinks. The greens were well maintained, the pace of play was great, and even with some light maintenance on the back nine, it didn’t affect the round. Mimi at checkout was cheerful, friendly and even wished us a great day ahead. I’ll definitely be back to improve on those two 3-putts!

Nice little course. Perfect for working on short irons. $12 Senior rate works for me. Staff is very friendly. Lots of youth players and kick golf, so extra diligence is required. It's not as good for working on chipping though, because the greens are just too small, and don't replicate the typical shots you'll have on a big boy course.

San Diego Country Club, established in 1897, has a rich history and stunning grounds. Originally located in Balboa Park before moving to Point Loma and finally settling in Chula Vista, the club boasts an 18-hole course designed by William Watson. The natural contours of the land are highlighted by the course's design, offering a challenging yet beautiful playing experience.
It’s a private club so we were happy to be guests for a round of golf and 19th hole 🍻 What a beautiful facility! Course was challenging due to rolling landscape and greens (pin placement and fast!). Nice range, practice area. Beautiful club house with several bars / restaurants. Staff were super professional and pleasant.

We were here for the USGA Sr Women's Open ....what a wonderful experience for this event. 5 stars for the staff, hospitality team, wait staff, bartender and to the wonderful cooks/ chefs 👨‍🍳 who cooked heathly meals for us to enjoy throughout the week. Thanks also to the great volunteers who assisted and supported the event. 5 stars for the performance center as well, excellent service and attention to our aches and pains. 1 star for the USGA overall.... as a spectator and compared to other Sr Women's events....this has to be not up to the expectations of other USGA events. Port a John's on the front 9 the closest was at the 8# hole...seriously...people like to watch the ladies hit...no seats here...red and blue chairs were scattered throughout at random.. you really needed to bring a chair...what about those who used these Port a John's? ...no sink to wash your hands or maybe you were lucky their was soap in the dispenser .... food /water locations.... at the 8th hole there was water dispensers, great thank you... however they faced the sun and thus the water was luke warm...sand traps were like cement...did you forget to add the sand like you do at other USGA events.?..nothing like breaking your club while hitting ... I have higher expectations in Michigan next year. And your overall mission is to promote golf?

This has been such a great four days at The San Diego Country Club. The SDCC staff, USGA, volunteers have all been top notch. And the players are first class ladies, all the way! Walking the course has been such a treat and we're looking forward to tapping some SDCC members to host us as their guests to play this amazing course. It's a hidden treasure here in Chula Vista!

We had our wedding reception at the San Diego Country Club and our party was a success! Sal was our point of contact and he was very professional and organized. Sal's communication was clear, his follow-up calls, e-mails, and in person meetings always put us at ease because it showed his commitment in ensuring that all the moving pieces to our event would be taken care of. The San Diego Country Club was our dream venue and our guest were thrilled with the breathtaking views. Even though we were constantly asking Sal questions, we never felt ignored – this is huge in the customer service spectrum. On the day of our wedding, Sal was there to ensure that everything went as planned. Even in his absence towards the end of the celebration, Sal took the time to find us and make sure that we knew the names of the managers that would be there in his absence. The overall customer service during dinner was excellent. The staff was a direct reflection of the quality and efficiency demonstrated by the management at the San Diego Country Club.

What type of country club is unable to take care of it's own overgrown plants that invade the sidewalk? And they don't even take care of it regularly they do it every so often that makes me think they don't care about the land they're supposed to be taking care of.

This is an absolutely legendary golf course that I’ve had the privilege of playing twice now in the last two years. Luckily one of my friends is a member here and he lives on the course. Great bar and restaurant here too with a nice laid back feel to it. It’s always a pleasure playing here. I played this course recently this December. The greens were the fastest I’ve ever played in Southern California even though I haven’t played a lot of course out here I can’t imagine the greens being any faster. I’m an average bogey golf kind of player and there were some holes that felt like the US Open where you just keep hitting it onto the green and it’ll run off the other side and you’ll go to the other side and do the same thing. This shouldn’t make you shy away from playing it though, it’s an absolute gift if you are given the opportunity to play it. I hope I get to play it again soon. Thanks for the opportunity!
Keegan T — Google review
It was a challenging and fun course but the greens weren't in great shape at the time I played. Unfortunately, we've had a ton of humidity this summer and the bent grass hasn't responded well to it . The course layout was fun but didn't offer any real memorable holes to me. The pace of play was incredible, I don't think we saw one other group on the entire course which was awesome. This would easily be 5 stars if the greens were in good shape

I was represented by the Men’s Legal Center for nearly 3 years in a custody case, and they have always represented me with strength. Overall, great firm to work with! I never doubted for a second that Craig and the team had my back and kept the best interest of my daughter and family at highest priority. I learned a lot from the whole team. Billing was very fair and supportive with me and my situation. I’m so happy that I found Men’s Legal Center and will definitely be recommending them to any family I know dealing with any custody matters.

Thanks to the men's legal center and attorney Tom Slaterry and Matt Withers !! They both worked endlessly to help insure my rights as a father of 2 were restored. I was nervous but the team at MLC really helped to ease my fear of an unfair judge and showed what good legal counsel can do. Custody cases are not easy for anyone , but Attorneys like the ones at Mens Legal Center will pro e to be heaven sent on the day of the courts judgment. Definitely recommend going here and speaking to attorney Tom S. And his Para legal Matt W. Thanks for all the help I couldn't have done it without you !!!!!!

Kristen and Nate have kept me calm, explained each step, and helped me throughout each process. Regardless of all the things I've faced they have been calm, direct, and so helpful. They don't think with just sense of percentages. They care. They listen. And they do all they can to help. I scanned through the listing's before deciding on council. I am blessed to have picked the right one. Thankyou.

Words cannot explain how thankful I am that Nate Moore and Kristen Singh Esq were kind enough to give my family legal help (even though they didn't have to). They were extremely knowledgeable and caring which is very rare... The cases that were brought against my family were malicious. Nate and Kristen went over and above by pointing the misconduct of the other attorney out. You have no idea how good it feels to know someone truly has your back. My whole family (9 people) are all in aww! They truly are one of a kind... Thank you again Nate and Kristen.

Best course I’ve played in San Diego. And I’ve played a lot of country clubs. Perfect tee boxes, beautiful layout, nice doglegs, water carries, manicured greens, every hole is memorable. Can’t ask for anything more.

We had the most incredible Easter at Del Mar Country Club this year. From the moment we arrived, everything was beautifully organized, warm, and welcoming. The Easter brunch was outstanding—elegant yet family-friendly, with an impressive selection of gourmet dishes that satisfied everyone at the table. Every bite, from the fresh seafood to the carved meats and decadent desserts, was exceptional. But what truly made the day special was the Easter egg hunt. My 9-year-old daughter had an absolute blast! The grounds were perfectly set up for the kids to explore and play, and the joy and excitement on her face were unforgettable. The staff made sure every child felt included and had fun, creating a memory she’ll be talking about for a long time. Del Mar Country Club went above and beyond to make the day feel magical for both kids and adults. It was the perfect blend of tradition, luxury, and community spirit. We’re already looking forward to coming back!

This is one of the prettiest golf courses on earth. Whoever designed the clubhouse deserves an award. It feels like a little castle to walk into. The course is a great north San Diego 18 hole private course that is wonderfully maintained. I even got to play on the Steinway piano before the round. The Del Mar Country Club is an 11 out of 10!

Amazing experience, I could never afford to play this course without assistance from the Mercedes-Benz function I was involved with. The clubhouse is incredible, there is a bar in the locker room. A bar! The course itself is tough the first time you play it, target golf with lots of blind shots. But it was perfectly manicured and a treat to play.

Del Mar Country Club has the best location in San Diego. Close to the beach, but not too close that the coastal marine layer blocks out the sun.and it is within Rancho Santa Fe, but not so far into RSF that it is hard to access groceries, stores, restaurants etc. Del Mar Country Club is very private and secure; it only has about 100 homes. The Country Club itself is covered in green ivy and surrounded by mature landscaping. In addition to the architecture, the facilities are top-grade and easily accessible to members.

Stepping Onto Phil Mickelson's Turf: A Review of Del Mar Country Club Nestled amidst the rolling hills of Del Mar, California, lies Del Mar Country Club, a golf paradise that wouldn't feel out of place in Phil Mickelson's trophy room. As one of the club's esteemed members, Lefty himself has graced these fairways countless times, leaving his legacy etched in every birdie and every epic sand save. But is Del Mar simply a playground for golf royalty, or does it hold charm for mere mortals like us? Let's tee off and find out. First Impressions: The moment you drive through the gates of Del Mar Country Club, you're transported to a world of manicured greens, shimmering ponds, and ocean vistas that stretch as far as the eye can see. The Spanish Colonial clubhouse, reminiscent of a hacienda estate, exudes an air of timeless elegance, setting the stage for an unforgettable experience. Fairways Fit for a Champion: The 18-hole championship course, designed by the legendary William F. Bell, is a masterpiece of strategic design. Rolling hills, cunningly placed bunkers, and undulating greens challenge golfers of all skill levels, while breathtaking ocean views from every hole provide a constant source of inspiration (and, perhaps, a little intimidation). Beyond the Green: But Del Mar isn't just about chasing birdies. The club boasts a plethora of amenities to keep everyone entertained, including: Sparkling swimming pool and jacuzzi: Take a refreshing dip after a hot round or simply soak up the California sun. Tennis courts: Challenge your friends to a friendly match on the club's pristine clay courts. State-of-the-art fitness center: Stay in shape with the latest equipment and expert trainers. Fine dining: The club's restaurants offer delectable menus featuring fresh, local ingredients, with stunning views as the perfect accompaniment. Vibrant social scene: From member events to casual gatherings, Del Mar fosters a warm and welcoming community where you can connect with fellow golf enthusiasts. The Lefty Effect: Of course, being Phil Mickelson's home club adds a certain mystique to Del Mar. Walking the same fairways as one of golf's greatest legends gives your game a touch of magic, even if your swing is more reminiscent of a windmill than a graceful arc. You might not be sinking eagle putts like Lefty, but you'll still feel the thrill of playing on a course that's hosted some of the game's most iconic moments. The Verdict: Del Mar Country Club is more than just a golf course; it's an escape, a playground for the senses, and a chance to step into the world of golfing royalty. The immaculate course, world-class amenities, and captivating ocean views make it a true golfer's paradise. While the hefty membership fees might be a hurdle for some, the experience undoubtedly justifies the cost for those who can afford it. So, whether you're a seasoned golfer aiming to channel your inner Mickelson or simply seeking a luxurious escape, Del Mar Country Club is sure to deliver an unforgettable experience. Final Rating: 5 out of 5 stars

Salt Creek Golf Club is a popular course located just minutes from San Diego International Airport. It offers stunning views of the water and downtown San Diego, making it a sought-after destination for golf enthusiasts. The course is well-maintained with hard, low-mowed fairways that provide an extra challenge for players. The fast-rolling greens add to the difficulty, requiring precision and skill in every shot.
Had a wonderful experience! My husband and I had our wedding at this venue and loved it. Armando was great help with my wedding and the golf course views just speak for itself! It is a beautiful venue where they can accommodate to your wants and needs. I received so many compliments and I am so glad to have found it. If your looking for outdoor wedding venues this is the place.

This is a generous 4 starts. I believe 3.5 would be more appropriate. This is a unique course for San Diego County, as it rolls through chaparral covered hills - reminds me of some of the inland courses in Ventura County. Greens and fairways were generally in good shape. Most of the traps were apparently under renovation, and were therefore unplayable. Staff was great, and price seemed fair enough. Worth checking out!
Mark B — Google review
If you're into 5-6 hours rounds and playing on dirt instead of grass, this is your place. The photo attached is the wait on one Hole....8 carts on a par 3.
Tim M — Google review
Course is in great shape. The fairways are hard and mowed very low. After a drive, your ball will keep rolling. You'll need to know the course and play the correct side or else your ball will roll into OB even though you thought you hit it down the line. The greens roll very fast. It's very hard so you either need to get good spin or hit it short and let it roll up. I definitely had a challenging time and want another shot at this course.
Bobby P — Google review
After hitting balls on the range, I was very apprehensive about playing this course. The range had to be in the worst shape I have ever experienced. Public was squeezed to one very small area (lessons had a larger area), and the grass was totally torn up. I was very pleasantly surprised by the course, however. As everyone says, it is a links style course and quite interesting to play following the natural terrain. Your ball runs forever! Believe the comments on the scorecard when they tell you to hit on a certain side of the fairway! Greens are in really great shape and very tough. Lots of movement and fairly fast. Ended up being a great experience. I would try it again when in the San Diego area. If it weren't for the driving range, they would have definitely been given 5 stars!
Jim Q — Google review
Enjoyed playing there. Play there often. Great coarse and rather challenging. I like to play late morning because some of the people I play with aren't experienced enough (slow play once in a while) and the Club people get pushy trying to hurry us along. If you play often, you will like to play there too!
William J — Google review
Nice course, fast tricky greens. Played on a Sunday AM, was a bit slow but a fun experience overall. Although you can walk, I'd recommend a cart as there is some distance between holes.

Turf is a bit dry. Long pretty course. Good range and great chipping greens. Not much for club house. Lots of large speed bumps going in is enough to make me go there less often and just go somewhere else.

La Costa Golf Course is a stunning destination for golf enthusiasts, featuring two PGA Championship 18-hole courses that blend traditional design with natural beauty. Nestled in North County San Diego, the course winds through picturesque wetlands and rolling hills, offering a challenging yet enjoyable experience for players of all skill levels. With four sets of tees available, golfers can find the perfect length to suit their game. The layout presents an exciting test of shot-making ability both off the tee and around the greens.
After a few trips to Carlsbad, I finally had the chance to play this course. I couldn't get on the newly opened north course, so played the south course. Nice course layout, open fairways and not a lot of trouble spots. More of a resort style feel. The staff was super friendly and the starter Jerry was what every course should have to greet people on the first tee. He made sure we had enough water for the hot day, sunscreen, tees, and even gave us a rundown of parts of the course that might cause some bad shots. Weather was nice and had a super fun day. Only 2 of us played and no one in front of us, we finished the round in just over 3 hours.

This gem in North County SD is fantastic. It's a challenging course but at the same Time it's reasonable and you can recover from a fouled tee shot on every hole. You are never out of it.... unless you get swallowed up but the long fescue. I played in a Tournament there a few weeks ago for my main man Josh. I had a miserable front nine and saved me breaking a club and quitting golf forever by playing a great bank 9. I feel the course wants to be challenged. You can cut 439 yrd dog legs down to 300 yrs by playing aggressive. And that's my style. Spray and pray then recover. If you get the chance this place should be on the b just your list. Thanks Josh I appreciate everything you did
