The 50 best fast food restaurants in San Diego

We were visiting the area and we love good Italian food. We happen to find this place by chance and were exceedingly surprised and thrilled by their cheese ravioli. So we decided it was worth a sit down meal. My wife and I were absolutely blown away by everything. From their service, to their delicious food and their more than reasonable prices and generous serving sizes. Absolutely delicious and anytime we are back in SD. We will be coming back to this amazing hole in the wall restaurant.

My sister and I roamed around Little Italy to enjoy a delicious and relaxing dinner. We tried The Works pizza with anchovies, shrimp filippi, and tiramisu for dessert. The place felt so authentically Italian, it almost made me feel like I was back in Italy, even though we were just in Little Italy, San Diego. Hehe. They also have a small market where you can buy items like olive and avocado oil, which of course I couldn’t resist getting. The restaurant is spacious and filled with so much to see. The lighting is dim to make it feel more intimate (though the internet connection was pretty bad, lol). But overall, the place and the staff were wonderful, and the food, especially the massive pizza, was absolutely delicious.

It’s your usual mom and pop Italian restaurant. Reasonable prices with giant portions. The food while not fancy is down to earth. I could barely finish my sausage and meatball pasta, only issue is the sausage was hard and cold in the center, probably premade and was sitting in the kitchen for a while. Overall good spot if you want down to earth Italian food.

I stopped by Fillippis Pizza Grotto for Lunch and ended up trying two different slices of pizza and their garlic knots. After trying their food, I can see why they have so many reviews and such a high rating. The pizza is so good and the garlic knots hit hard!!! I would defiantly be a regular here if I lived in San Diego! The staff were nice and there were many types of pizza slices to choose from, definitely something for any pizza lover!!

Filippi’s Grotto is pure Italian comfort from the moment you walk in. The staff treats you like family — warm smiles, great energy, and service that feels personal. The pizza? Unreal. The crust is perfectly crisp yet soft inside, the sauce is rich and flavorful, and the cheese… wow. Melted, stretchy, and creamy without being greasy — just that perfect balance that keeps you reaching for another slice. Every bite tastes homemade and full of love. It’s the kind of pizza that makes you close your eyes for a second just to savor it. If you’re in Little Italy, this is a must.

For the first time in my life I ate a pizza without tomato sauce! It was completely bland and tasteless. And it cost $40 including delivery. I'm Italian and I know what good pizza is. I called to try and clarify and they simply told me that Margherita pizza doesn't come with tomato sauce. Zero customer service! Very upset

Wow, this is fantastic pizza. We visited on a Friday night and it was busy. We put our names on the list and got in about 25 mins later. Since its San Diego and the weather is just about always perfect, we sat outside and enjoyed wine, the house salad and the Special pizza. I am pretty sure my husband hummed songs during the whole meal in full happiness. Very cheesy but not too greasy, crust sturdy enough to pick up without dropping toppings and tons of flavor. It is in a busy area but that leads to its charm. Next time we are visiting, we will be back for sure.

Nice restaurant in a very nice area. It’s a huge outdoor restaurant so there is plenty of seating. Staff were very nice. Most memorable was Jon and Louie. They went above and beyond to make sure we had a good time. The food was good but the salad I had fell a little short of something. The fries are so fresh and delicious and The cookies are DELICIOUS and so are the milkshakes. Parking is a bit hard to find and it’s metered so be mindful.

The food was honestly really really mid. The chicken seems like a decent quality, but it honestly had no taste. It needed a lot more seasoning and taste and maybe breading? The coleslaw did not taste like coleslaw, it wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t coleslaw. The biscuits were good, but really dry. The fries were good. Atmosphere was also really nice, we were there in the late late evening, so it was nice and not crowded. Parking really sucked

I was near convention center and in downtown San Diego and we were craving for some good fried chicken . I was googling and found this top rated place . It had about 4.6 stars and when I went there , it was crowded ! More crowd = better confidence for me about the restaurant:) The bar was good .. They had some home brewed IPAs and some bottled beers.. service was ok. Could’ve been better . It was crowded and everyone was busy with customers .. wish there were more employees in shift and making the service much better . I liked hazy IPAs . Went well with the chicken . Price wise wasn’t very expensive . Order five piece half fiery chicken .. I generally like it spicy.. the chicken was very crisp and tasted OK.. was a bit oily, and the fiery spicy flavor was like the Nashville hot chicken . Quantity was also a lot.. couldn’t finish even half of it. Thought of giving a three or 3.5., but gave it a 4 ..

Fancy chicken sandwiches in a lively location. Great people-watching on the sidewalks of Little Italy. Plenty of places to sit, very open-air and breezy. Planes soar over head with the airport nearby but the noise isn’t too loud. We ordered the “All American Chick” and the “Cali Drip” sandwiches with an order of “Shack Fries” on the side. A small order of fries was surprisingly generous and enough for two people (or one if you’re extra hungry). The “All American Chick” was delicious and full of flavor. Even the pickles were special. It was tangy and mustard-y and messy in the best way. The “Cali Drip” was more of a panini-type sandwich since it’s served on a torta and cut in half. Good for sharing! The jalapeños add a nice kick of spice without being too much. Really good. Fries were crispy and it was fun to try the different condiments offered at the sauce station. Having a roll of paper towels on the table is great because these sandwiches were juicy! Both kid-friendly with corn hole and adult-friendly with a bar located next to the ordering window. You can catch the Padres game on the wall-mounted TVs too. Very fun very good.

They have the best fries I've ever had before. The tenders were also really good. Their Sriracha thousand island and pineapple mustard is really good. They had messed up our order and we also got a free sandwich. It was the Cali drip. It was amazing. Had a kick to it because of the jalepenos. I definitely recommend this spot.

Their ambiance and food is great. Love their baja chop salad, fried chicken and biscuits are delicious. This is one of those rare spots that is equally great for adults hoping to enjoy food and drinks, as well as families with children. It is pet friendly.

Excellent place to eat! Great tenders, Cobb salad and Cole slaw. So glad we stumbled upon this place. It’s also on the flight path, so lots of big planes landing right above us. We will go back!

Love the openness of the restaurant from the outdoor seating to the dining inside. The openness vibes has a calming atmosphere yet at a busy mall that we enjoyed. The edamame dumplings was a treat and were very yummy. Hamburger with sweet potatoe hash was a nice change from traditional heavy burger. It was quite enjoyable. Quinoa salad with avocado and chicken was delicious and would order again. Water was refreshing and no bitter or harsh taste. We ended the meal with a passion fruit tart and an Americano coffee. Treat yourself to a healthier meal without the compromise of taste and your hunger satisfied. The restaurant offers plenty of details to admire from the napkins to plates to the decor.

For a reliably healthy and satisfying lunch, this spot is a fantastic choice. The portion sizes are decent without being overwhelming, and the quality of the food makes it a go-to for a midday meal. The kale salad was a definite done right... prepped so that there was no trace of bitterness, just fresh, crisp greens. The turkey burger was equally impressive; it tasted wonderfully homemade, with great flavor and none of the overly salty taste you often find elsewhere. The fresh brewed teas are a nice touch, though it was a shame the green tea wasn't available so early in the day. Service had a bit of a slow start, taking a moment to get to the table after we were seated (11:00 a.m.) However, these are minor points for an otherwise excellent and healthy lunch experience. An easy go to if in the area.

Upon arrival, I was warmly greeted by the front-door staff—super helpful and genuinely welcoming. Since I was dining solo before meeting friends at Civita Park, I opted for a seat at the bar. Olivia, the bartender and my server, was fantastic. She offered great suggestions, especially for dessert. I tried the Strawberry Passion Fruit Tart, and it was absolutely over-the-top delicious! For a light dinner, I had the Teriyaki Organic Quinoa with added tofu for extra protein. It was fresh, flavorful, and satisfying—a new go-to dish for sure.

I was shopping at Fashion Valley and accidentally placed a takeout order at the UTC True Food Kitchen instead. The staff were so kind, friendly, and welcoming, and they graciously honored my order without hesitation. As a new mom, sometimes you’re juggling a lot and little mix-ups happen, but I truly appreciated their understanding and warmth. Thank you to the manager and staff for going above and beyond. I always love dining at this location, and experiences like this remind me why. Excellent service and great people!

I really liked this place. I've been coming here since they opened years ago. I wish they more consistent with the food though. Sometimes it's great and other times, not at all. Last week my turkey burger looked like it was put together by a child. Really sloppy and the bare minimum on it. Maybe it's depends on the chef. I don't know but I do know this happens frequently.

The food here is absolutely amazing! It’s so refreshing to find a place where “healthy” doesn’t mean sacrificing flavor. Every dish was fresh, vibrant, and full of taste. The staff were all incredibly kind and attentive, and I was so impressed that the chef personally came around to check on each table. That kind of genuine care and attention is something you rarely see anymore. I can’t wait to come back!

It’s not often I do reviews, but I had to dedicate some time to write how amazing the service in this restaurant is! A good friend of mine recommended I try this spot out, so after work I made my way & was instantly greeted by Melissa G who was absolutely optimistic & you can genuinely tell she is very passionate about what she does, which in this day & age is a very rare think to see in the work force. She recommended the lasagna which I must say was utterly divine & worth every penny! Then I had the coconut ice cream & chocolate cake which was mind blowing to say the least. Melissa did a great job in making sure my needs were met, consistently checked on me to make sure I was okay, & was very eager to ensure I had a satisfactory experience. I would strongly encourage that management looks into giving her a raise for the value she brings to True Food Kitchen! We need more workers like her! I will definitely return!

Nice place, but I am not a fan of pizzerias that have pizza laying out - I want my pie cooked fresh. They had too many pizzas laying out that had dried out cheese and looked like they were cooked days ago. The Nutella pizza was actually very tasty, though they did make that fresh.

We really enjoyed this place!! You can find it in Little Italy, they have many options and some great prices, totally worth it. The food was great, my favorite was the dessert 😋

I originally came into the coffee shop right next door as I was trying to burn some time before my flight, and upon glazing over, the lineup of vibrant colors and delicious looking pizza caught my eye, making me do a double take. I was initially not really feeling pizza, but after yelping the place to see that it's actually quite highly rated, i decided to give it a try. I tried the truffle procini as many reviews were raving about it, and I can say that i was pleased. It was one of the best slices I've had for mushroom pizza, ESPECIALLY when it isnt fresh made like at a restaurant. The pizza is first cooked, and then reheated before being served to you, but I can say that this was the best reheated pizza I've had. The curst was hellllllllllla crispy, and in a good way! I'm usually a fan of the wood fired pizzas with the thin crusts, but this joint really did a bangin job for a little thicker of crust. If I'm back in the area, i'd love to try the other pizzas they got!

Went here on recommendation from a coworker who happens to be vegan, and I ended up trying their Veggy Festa, and I gotta say, it was one of the best slices of pizza I've ever had, animal products or not. Who knew that a pizza without cheese would land itself so high on my list of best pizzas I've had. 100% recommend, even to non-vegans. The price was good too, especially considering the location.

Fantastic Mexican food and fantastic Mexican seafood. Definitely try a ceviche. Also probably the carne asada tacos. The fish tacos are the bomb and they even have a fish stew that is damn good. The song was good and slow and shrimp tacos

Oscars Mexican Seafood is exactly what a San Diego beach day needs. My sister and I swung by, picked up our tacos to-go, and the short stroll back to the sand turned into a feast. The battered fish stayed perfectly crisp, with flaky white fish inside and just the right amount for garnish. The carne asada was tender, fresh-off-griddle, and the al pastor had a sweetness that balanced its spice. Portions were generous, prices fair, and the staff packed everything so well that nothing got soggy on the way. Add in the ocean view and you’ve got a five-star meal you can eat with your toes in the sand. We’ll be back next trip!

Oscar's has great fish tacos. There will be a wait, and seating is limited, but it is well worth the wait. I ordered the surf and turf, and the octopus taco both had amazing flavors .Many in my group had the fish tacos. Everyone enjoyed the food .

The shrimp ceviche, fish tacos, and octopus tacos were fresh and flavorful. The line moved quickly and staff were friendly. They came around with cups of soup while we waited. Prices are very reasonable as well for quality.

Best seafood tacos in town! My favorite is shrimps and octopus. Friendly staff and nice vibe, the restaurant looks even cuter after the renovation. Parking could be tricky at peak hours or on weekends. Perfect after a beach day!

We ordered the Taco Especial, and it was absolutely delicious! The smoky aroma of the fish and shrimp was mouthwatering, and the octopus taco really stood out — it was incredibly soft and tender. Every bite was packed with flavor. We loved it and will definitely be coming back for more!

We stopped into Barrio Star on Cinco de Mayo, and while it was understandably very busy, the staff did a great job attending to everyone as quickly as possible. We ordered the margarita flight and the marg of the month (mango chamoy) was delicious—highly recommend! My husband had the steak tacos, and I went with the mixed taco plate—everything was pretty good overall. I especially appreciated that they hand-make all of their corn tortillas—such a nice touch. All in all: lively vibe, good service, and decent food. Would go back to try more!

Cool little place with outdoor seating. Dog friendly. Bar and indoor seating available. I mostly enjoyed the fries out of what we ordered. I found the food looked beautiful but what I tried wasn't for me. I had the tamal carnitas. It was dry. The jasmine rice and black beans bland. I plucked the carnitas from the tamal and ate that and the steamed kale. The torta was okay. The fries were perfection! Quite pricey! Didn't get a chance to try the cocktails but it seems they'd be good. Price here is too expensive imo. Ambiance and atmosphere were great. Might be nice to enjoy some fries and a cocktail and hang out

This was our first time at Barrio Star & we were not disappointed. The homemade chips & salsa were delicious. The blood orange margarita was a good pour and flavorful. The tacos were all good .. although my favorite was the steak taco. The meat was tender & had a nice smokey flavor. The tortillas were homemade and thick, so they did not fall apart even packed with meat. The staff were all welcoming and helpful. We will go back again.

This was our first and LAST time here. I ordered the fish tacos and substituted the rice & beans for tortilla soup ($4 extra). I asked for my tortilla to be "crisp" and the waiter said, they "hand press" corn tortillas to order. I told him I didn't want cold tortillas. Well, the tortilla soup tasted & looked like baby food with a teaspoon of corn on top. My fish tacos, where do I start,,, the THAI (at a Mexican restaurant, smh) slaw was SO watery is softened the tortillas. I had to pour out the water!!! The fish was cold. The put paprika on the chips and fries. Chile tasted like tomatoe with paprika. When the waiter came to give us the check, he asked if everything was alright. My husband lied, being a nice person. When I told him what was wrong, he got defensive credited my meal and sung a bunch of excuses. I told him the server never checked if we needed anything. I had to flag her down to get an extra plate (which I never got). To me this is a beginner restaurant.

Jeremy always takes such good care of us. It’s a shame he’s leaving. We’ve been here a bunch of times. Their menu is extensive, brunch is fantastic and the drinks are always flavorful and refreshing

The food was pretty good but the prices were twice as expensive (and not nearly as good) as the Mexican food in old town. Service was friendly and fast. I'd probably skip this spot in the future.

I was down in SD for 5 days. In those 5 days I came here 4 times. I brought a non vegan who enjoyed his meal as well. I tried something new each time (except always getting the breaded brussel sprouts and cauliflower I am obsessed with those). Each meal was amazing, fresh and fast. I really like that the veggies aren't overcooked and all the sides options. I highly recommend and wish there was one of these locations where I live.

Obsessed is an understatement! Every entree I’ve tried here has exceeded my expectations. They have good desserts too. This time I tried the munchwrap supreme and it did not disappoint. Tasted very similar to a real Crunchwrap from Taco Bell but way better ingredients. They also have a patio with seating which is great for enjoying the sunny days while you eat.

Food is very tasty, fresh, and well presented. I am a meat eater so I was surprised by how delicious the Double cheeseburger was even though there was no meat on it. I didn’t like the chicken tenders because it was so sour. The lemon lavender drink was refreshing. I love that they have free refills! overall, I think it was a good meal. I would definitely come back for the double cheeseburger.

The menu was kind of more process things I'm except the salads which I think we're good I just got a side of steamed kale which was really good and chicken tenders. Now the chicken tenders are Incognito so you could buy those from the store and add your own saws but overall everything was really delightful I wouldn't say the best vegan food but it was good for a quick lunch. The lemonade also was light and not that sweet mainly because it was probably the beetroot in it but I've had lemonade like that before and it was comparably as good.

I'm probably not a fair person to comment here since I prefer foods with meat, but my take is it's probably a really good option for vegetarians. The elotes with chips was good, and there was a hearty portion of shawarma. The restaurant had an artsy interior and the staff was friendly. I think it is cool they have this option for those who don't eat meat, and they even state all of their ingredients are meat free.

Soooo impressed with this Delicious restaurant, This is my NEW favorite place!!! I had the OC RAW CHOPPED SALAD fresh Delicious . THAI CHILI BRUSSELS SPROUTS a must have. BBQ BRISKET BURGER (Yes meatless) ORANGE CAULIFLOWER All were amazing full of flavor, YES I tried them all. Will be back very soon

First time coming in and I ordered the Cauliflower Chickpea Shawarma Wrap and Potato Fries. The wrap was done well with a little bit on the toasty and warm side. As a drink I got Watermelon Fresca which was not super sweet so it hit the spot for me. By the way the seasoning on the potato fries was good because I taught it was going be salty but it was not! Thank you for the good service too. ( :

08/27: UPDATE: After calling CF customer care, I received a call from Gavin, the manager at this location. He was understanding and agreed that this was not properly prepared and told me he would address my concerns with other employees. He offered me a replacement meal and a couple of coupons. He was professional and patient as I explained my position on the matter. NEW photos of the replacement pimento sandwich. Much better. Deceptive advertising? Look at the beautiful pictures with all that pimento cheese and the thick slices of jalapeños. Now, look at my lowlife sandwich with a small scoop of cheese, extra small jalapeños. Typically, CFA normally has their products close to advertised, but this is bs. Took my sandwich to the counter woman who took my order and she just shrugged it off. I asked for more jalapeños to at least mimic the photos, I asked for more pimento cheese, but told this was the portion amount. NOTE: This is a franchise location.

Quick and standard Chick-fil-A service. Only has to wait behind one car around 9 am. Not sure why the spicy chicken biscuit is more than the original chicken biscuit, but it was tasty. The hash browns were so fresh. The cold vanilla cold brew was okay, but it’s Chick-fil-A, not a coffee shop.

Completely disappointed and disgusted. We received our fries with a HAIR IN IT. When the manager was informed she told the associate "to pull it out" under her breath. The associate then took the fries to the back, returned with a bag, and told us "we gave you a large instead." I see more why this location has awful reviews. Disgusting, filthy location. Will not return.

Bad experience at this restaurant (San Diego, CA). I bought a couple of meals, including an 8-piece nuggets meal, but when my son counted them, there were only 7 small pieces. I immediately got up to tell the cashier, and while I was explaining it, the female manager came over, grabbed the box, counted the nuggets, and without saying a word, took the box back to the kitchen. I went back to sit down, and we started eating the rest of the food while my son still hadn’t received his nuggets. A while later, the cashier brought the box of nuggets back to our table. Two things they need to improve: Be more careful with the food they serve and make sure it’s complete, and also be more empathetic and professional. The female manager didn’t even apologize or do anything to make up for that unpleasant moment for my son.

Dear Customer Care, I'm complaining regarding a pattern of unprofessional & retaliatory behavior exhibited by a mnger Lalo at Store #02014 (San Diego CA). On 10/09/2025, Mnger Lalo denied me a beverage refill despite I had the original receipt. This was the latest of several encounters ,I've been treated w/clear disrespect. The incident occurred w/ the 1st manager. Details of Mnger Sadies Conduct: 2nd Manager sadie demonstrates visibly poor customer service: * visibly showing a reluctance to provide service. The Escalation & Retaliation: When I tried to address the issue directly & politely w/ Manager sadie, I made the following points: * I informed her that her unprofessional behavior is very uncomfortable. * I complimented 2 of her colleagues, Daniel & Miss Lucia, noting they are excellent employees & are the reason I am a frequent, loyal customer at all times of the day. * I offered a sincere apology if I had ever done anything to personally offend her or cause her to treat me poorly. Immediately after I voiced my discomfort & offered compliments to her team, Manager Sadie responded by claiming to the District Mnger, Ms. Zaniya, she "did not feel safe." I was then asked to leave the premises. The claim of feeling unsafe appears as a form of retaliation & attempt to deflect attention from her consistently poor customer service that I complained about. This incident of being asked to leave for providing honest feedback about a manager's misconduct is unacceptable.

Everyone knows CFA has great customer service, but nobody does it like my man Clay. Just came through the drive through and came face to face with the GOAT of customer service. He made me even more excited for my food than I was before, helped me pick what to get when I was torn between options, and hyped me up the whole way. Chicken? 10/10. Clay? Off the charts.

Chick-fil-A is always great quality no matter what. My daughters favorite as well. The most impressive thing about Chick-fil-A is they never mess orders up and the staff is always friendly never late at night.

Quick service and consistent taste! Ours favorites are the chicken sandwiches. Buffalo sandwich was good but a little spicy for kids. Great location and clean inside and out seating.

So delicious... The patty melt with carmalized onions! (It's huge and messy. *Need to request it cut in half. Easier to eat.) The chicken tenders with honey mustard- scrumptious! The curly fries- fresh and terrific! I asked for them a little extra crispy. 10 out of 10 stars! Also their kombucha is actually wonderful as well. Nice staff. Very clean establishment. You will feel good eating here. I will recommend and come again. Thank you Plant Power.

I really wish there were more of these. I love this chain. I used to go to the location in HB before I moved to San Diego. I’m not Vegan personally but I definitely support having sustainable and delicious alternatives for people with dietary needs and desires. The food is delicious. The shakes are amazing. I got the Nashville Hot ‘Chicken’, sweet potato fries w/ Ranch & a chocolate shake. So good. My friend got the ‘chicken’ nugget meal w/ cola that is sweetened with organic agave. The restrooms were clean and smell clean despite being a Friday night in Point Loma.

First time eating here and I was completely blown away by the amazing food. A super nice lady called Leela Z. took my order. She recommended a couple of things and they were soooo good! Even the drinks are great. 100% recommend this to anyone interested in eating healthy without sacrificing taste.

Wished we had this store in South Carolina! Such a great menu selection of all plant based foods. I had the hot chicken sandwich. Service is excellent. Nice indoor seating and a great covered patio outside

As far as vegetarian fast food goes its pretty decent but it has some faults as well. On the good side, the food was good quality for fast food and the drink options were not just standard soda but rather good juices and what not. The staff was friendly and it was all pretty quick. I appreciated that they had compostable containers but that was lost on the fact that they didnt have a compost option. They only had recycling and trash and considering that anything that has food on it cant be recycled, it is all trash. I would expect the price to be higher considering the quality and it being vegetarian but it was a fair bit more expensive than the alternative. It is on par with the price at most places to get a meal which seems odd for fast food. Even though it had a few things that were off I still see why people go to it.

I got the Iconic burger and Animal style Fries! Everything was delicious! The customer service was on point! They have the best fountain drinks (made with organic sugar cane) and teas! The Hibiscus is my favorite!🌺 🍟🍔🍟🍔

Horrible experience with this location. I’ve been to this location maybe 4 times and every time they either forget a food item or the sauces. On one occasion they forgot my sauce for all of my meals in the order and while originally frustrated, I decided to just order a drink from door dash and re order the sauces with that order. The door dash arrives! And to my surprise (should have expected this) NO SAUCES! NOT A SINGLE ONE! I will never go to this location again. From forgetting sauces to fries and nugget packs, very disappointed. I tried calling the location to let them know, no answer. They did pick up at one point after calling them about 10 times,, just for them to hang it up right away! What a joke.

Can’t believe that. It’s took me 23 mins to get my coffee. I placed a curbside order, but no one brought it out, so I had to go inside to get it myself. Even then, the staff inside didn't give it to me. Finally, they realized my coffee had been made a long time ago and was just sitting there, unnoticed by anyone. The management is truly terrible.

I have no car, and was hungry during the night. I tried downloading the app to order online, play with gift card and pick up. But I had hard time signing up. It won't activate my account and bring me back to the app. Lady was understanding, great worker.

The best McDonald’s location I have been to. They salt their fries wonderfully first of all. And I called because I was having issues with delivery and whoever picked up the phone the manager or whoever was working there was being so incredibly nice and helpful to make sure I was receiving my order and she was onnnn itttt absolute queen. My regular breakfast spot was closed this day. This location was the closest option. Nice clean location, just expect caracteres hangin out there. Now for the review. The cashier was wearing a hoodie? MCD’s should ofer a better option for their employees. I ordered the bacon egg bagel combo with 2 hash browns. They gave me the steak bagel instead. I asked for the right one, to my surprise they gave me the wrong item again. They gave me the sausage bagel this time. The third time I finally got the right one. It came out cold and by this time my hash browns were cold too. The lady handing out the food was kind with a smile, too bad my experience was pretty bad for $17. I’ll stick with my usual spot for breakfast. Please double check your orders before leaving.

This McDonald’s is lacking intelligence. Incompetent. they always miss items in your order. At least 4 out of 5 orders are missing something from my personal experiences. Like today. Ordered 2 McGriddle meals, got two coffees two hashbrowns, one McGriddle. Lol really. No time to drive back either so I guess they just stole my money and i eat a potato for breakfast. The older Hispanic women and all the younger employees are generally pleasant. They clean regularly and the cooks don't throw your sandwich into a boxed mess like most other McD's.

Rancid expired sauces ranch, bbq and creamy avocado lime probably not refrigerated. Dry old curly fries, and burnt my jalapeno poppers not to mention they were out of the stuffed cookie and subbed it with a taco when i got 2 t pain munchie meals

This location is pretty big. Alot bigger than the average. Food was ordered pretty fast and bathroom was clean.

I ordered the Jack's Spicy Chicken Sandwich with no mayo and no buttery sauce. And my favorite curly fries. I asked for both sauces to be put on the side. All I got was mayo. The Buttery sauce they didn't have nor couldn't make. The meal was still pretty delicious.

When you want to get breakfast and no one is there to take your order its frustrating. Have a line of people waiting and waving at the counter and there is not response or courtesy to let people know if you are on break or lunch. This is the second jack in the box I went to.this morning with the same issue of no ones there or having a sign up to let you know if they are on break so we can decide if we want to wait or go to another location

Asked for extra hot sauce after receiving order, proceeded to ignore multiple times, got out of car and went to window to ask for hot sauce, staff continued to ignore.

Food was pretty good, they had a full line in the drive thru when I pulled up and they got everyone's order done in reasonable timing. I saw the rating at this jack in the box before I got to it and it was worth coming to this location. I got here at 10:30 pm too and the product was good even for night time 👍🏽

Ordered an 8pc (no longer 10pcs) chicken nugget combo for $9 and nearly every piece was barely larger than a quarter. They might as well be advertised as “popcorn chicken”. Service was efficient and friendly.

Definitely better than the average fast food place. Has your burritos and bowls as well as some drinks. I had the burrito especial and it was pretty good.

The food is good, but the employees don't pay attention to the order. I ordered the salad with Chicken and they gave me a bowl with no Chicken. There were only 2 of us customers at the time of order. The staff are hanging out standing leaning on the counter playing with their phones, and the cashier was sitting on the counter where the coffee or tea maker or machine is at. I dont know about y'all, but I will never go back there, as it is unsanitary. These are the restaurants that need to close down for being unsanitary. The management needs to do better with their sanitation because theyre handling food. Can you just imagine what they do in the back while preparing your food?

July 15, 2025 @ NASNI Coronado food court I ordered 4 tacos(taco Tuesday $3 taco beef & fish) Asked if I wanted salsa and said yes. There wasn’t a price quoted so I assumed it was free ( most restaurants have salsa as a free condiment) I wasn’t offered a receipt, so paid with a credit card . When I looked at the charge on my credit card, I was surprised on the amount charged. Amount charged $24.28 I assume this is the estimated breakdown Tip. $2.15 Tax $1.66 Tacos $12.00 Total $15.81 Sauce?? $ 8.47 ?? I guess I should go back to Taco Bell

This Rubio‘s location is great. I have never ordered anything off their menu that wasn’t well prepared and full of flavor. The staff here are nice and helpful in making recommendations. It is a busy location because of it being on the Naval Air Station but overall I recommend stopping in for the high quality food.

Sonic is a lower-tier fast-food spot, that much is clear. I got a cheeseburger and pickle fries tonight. They were all right—nothing stood out, but things were cooked well and were warm. Pretty mid food when you’re praising temperature. I think Sonic is really best for their specialty slushees and shakes, the food is pretty mediocre. Staff is nice and service is fine. They have a huge parking lot with tons of space and drive-up ordering spots.

A friend of mine told me that Sonic has a lot drink options. It’s true and better accessed through the app than by the menu at the restaurant. I was able to view more of the options this way and could order in advance so it was ready when I arrived. Food has been ok, the fries have been our favorite along with the ice cream blasts and this frozen concoction pictured.

I’m not making any accusations, but I gave them a credit card that I haven’t used in months when I went through the drive-through and all of a sudden I’m getting charges from DoorDash randomly and I never use that card ever that was the only time and maybe a year so when I went, they claimed the Apple Pay was down And I was forced to give them a hard card. Just be careful. Don’t know if it’s this place but I’m pretty sure because it’s the only charge on my card in a year (I have other cards I use daily) so I decided to give him this one because I don’t use it occasionally and my intuition was right. . . If management is reading, maybe look at cameras and see if this actually did happen.

First time here and didn’t like waiting 10+ minutes for someone take my order off the stupid intercom. How less personal can Sonic get? The drive-up stations…sure makes sense, but the walk up area should have a real person come out and greet, take order on a tablet device. Chili dog super salty, double cheeseburger wasn’t too bad and the small strawberry shake with thick and flavorful…best I’ve had compared to InNOut or other fast food spots. Place was clean. I’d go back for a cheeseburger and shake.

Can't beat the 50 cent corndog special! Update: Got the Bacon on Bacon Double Quarter Pound Cheeseburger. It was surprisingly good. There was truly a double amount of bacon on the burger. The two burger patties were not greasy, but were small. So their size made the amount of bacon even seem greater. All in all a tasty burger. Update: Got the Coney Chili Hotdog with added diced onions, and the Jumbo Popcorn Chicken. The hotdog was very good. The chicken was overly breaded with almost 50% breading. Update: Got the footlong coney hotdogs. They were good. Update: Got two 99¢ corn dogs with honey mustard. They were good. Update: Got a sonic quarter pound burger. It was good. Update: Got a double smasher. It was a fair size, but a bit overcooked. It was ok. Update: Got 2 corn dogs. They were good. Update: Got a classic cheeseburger and a pretzel twist. Both were good. Update: Got a footling Coney dog. It was good. Update: Got a bacon double cheeseburger and a honey chipotle chicken sandwich. Both were good. Update: Got a Sonic Cheeseburger and Salted Caramel Toffee Croissant Bites. Both were good.

Worst fast food experience in the SD area in the past 7 yrs. No more face-to-face human ordering inside, loud music so the talking through the mic and hearing response sucks, staff who kept removing items from order. Then abt 20 min during non-busy time to get uncooked, bland food. I asked for napkins. Oh they're in the bag. I look and there's one bloody napkin. Untoasted bun, undercooked dog, bland chil, bland tots. Poorly trained, unempathatic staff. I didn't go often, but the food used to be much much better. Will never be going to Sonic again. In fairness, most fast food in the San Diego area has severely declined while prices have spiked.

Ordered for pickup @ 2:25. Checked in at arrival. No order and no where to enter except the door to the kitchen. I showed them the order on my phone. The employee was still confused and tried to give me the wrong order. It’s now 2:53. I’ve been here to pick up 3 items for over 1/2 an hour. I’ll be deleting the app.. I’ll never return. Anyone thinking of ordering “just don’t”.

Came to this Wendy's restaurant located on la Mesa. Went threw the drive-in and the young man took my order. Chicken nuggets of 10. I told him that is going to be cash. So, the line took longer. I was next customers to pay. The black female (Tricia) told me the amount, I handle her $7.00 in her hands. As she gave me the change, I stick out my hand, and she threw it on my hand. Wow! What the hell! She was in a bad mood. I didn't say anything only thank you! As she handled me the bag. Again, I said thank you. She was very rude manner towards I . I could of said something to her on how to be more kind and polite to all customers. I just let it go. Staffs should be taking classes on how to behave in the workplace and be kind to all customer's. I will not come here again!

This Wendy's location has always been a favorite of mines. The buns are soft and fresh and the fries are crispy and hot. Very effective getting cars in and out of the drive through.

CHECK YOUR BAG BEFORE LEAVING!!! every time I come to this Wendy's I remember why I don't come to this Wendy's. They ALWAYS forget am item that I ordered. This last time, I only ordered 3 things, but they still managed to forget one of them. When I called, the lady says, well are you going to come back to get it? How else am I supposed to get it? After spending 18 for a wrap, a potato and chili, yes, I'm wasting my time and coming back now Also, the parking lot is clearly a hang out spot. Be wary.

I customized my order and wanted sauce but got no sauce and a plain burger instead of my customized order. I ordered so many nuggets and fries with sauce but got NONE.

I order here almost all the time, but they didn't pick up the phone when I tried to call them to let them know I got food poisoning from their food last night (05/07/2025, ordered at 10:49 PM). I hadn't eaten anything besides breakfast so I was very hungry. I got a baconator double with pickle, onion, tomato and lettuce, baconator fries and a chocolate frosty. I got sick later in the morning, around 5:30-6AMAM and was vomitting and having the runs and stomach cramps for until a little before writing this post. (~8:20AM) I really hope it was just a mishap and won't ever happen again, it was incredibly disappointing. And I hope that whatever it was that made me sick got quality controlled right after so others didn't get sick either.

The employees here are SOOO pleasent and gracious. Excellent Customer service

Read this review! I’ve been going to this Roberto’s for 35+ years now. They have always had good food, the portions have always been relatively small but the prices have always been reasonable up until the end of 2024 when they replaced the parking lot, painted a few things and called it a remodel. The quality of the food has definitely declined along with the portions decreasing further in size while the prices have went through the roof! Prices up 50%, food 25% smaller (machaca burrito in pic $12.50) I’ve went from eating there five days a week to just one. I wish it were the same but it’s not. They used to be very busy all the time and now the decline of customers is notable. Probably 35% less traffic through the doors. This is not a negative review, just the facts of where Roberto’s is today. I hope they get back to quality food at an affordable price but for now, I will periodically eat there while I’m in search of somewhere better.

This burrito is a joke man, ordered the bacon egg and cheese, more tortilla then anything, it’s always the same cook too, whoever makes them is not making them right or Roberto’s is just losing there taste, I can go to cotijas and get a breakfast burrito for the same price and they actually give sour cream and the burrito is not as dry and not filled with nothing but tortillas, but I keep coming back because well its “Roberto’s” how much more San Diego can it get. My family has been coming here for years, my uncle even knew “baby” one of the owners. On top of that prices have gone up, I get it inflation but damn sometimes I feel like I’m getting robbed for money because of the quality of the food. All im saying is hopefully you guys can get back to making good food again and it actually being worth it to buy😐

We asked for cheese in a carne asada Taco they gave me a hard taco shell I'm not at Taco Bell it cut my gums they forgot to put cheese that's happened before hurry my husband asked for limes and did not get those either I mean they could be out of them I don't know but they didn't say anything they're incredibly rude. I don't know why they replaced the menu other than they changed their prices which hadn't gone up in years but you're paying these people $20 an hour then they need to work for a living instead of being rude for a living. I have been going here since I was a little kid, and this is the worst meal I have ever gotten. I think I am going to take a break for a very long time. Shame on them

I just want to warn any women who go to Roberto’s late at night. This happened to me twice now but the second time was worse. The two employees who work the late shift would not stop harassing me while I was waiting for my food. It was the cashier for the drive thru and the cook. The cashier kept asking me personal questions about what I do, if I’m Mexican, if I go to school and if so where, etc. never once asked me how old I was btw. The cashier kept asking me if I was single and how could I not have a boyfriend as he thought I was “beautiful”. He kept going to the cook and they were both talking about me, the cook was encouraging the cashier to talk to me more. I was already annoyed by the both of them and was ready to defend myself in case they tried to do something. The cashier proceeded to constantly ask me if I wanted to get coffee with him down the street and I kept on having to repeat myself that I am not interested whatsoever. He desperately wanted to set up a date and he kept looking back at the cook but the cook just kept encouraging and nodding his head at him. These men were probably in their 40’s or maybe late 30’s, absolute insanity. The cashier then grabbed a sticky note and pen and was asking for my number, again still never once asked how old I was keep that in mind. The cashier kept shoving the note and pen in my car, already invading my personal space, after I had told him very clearly NO. Ladies BE CAREFUL, Roberto’s do better. I felt so disgusting after that encounter I couldn’t even trust the food they gave me, I felt sick to my stomach.

You should never dig through the burger to find the guacamole. The cashier was so out off with her facial expressions and angst. Again, I understand Spanish when you speak with your coworkers. We asked them to remake it after a very long , long conversation. My Dad loves this place . The GM was nice yet she needs to put her employee in check.

Here’s an idea for the $20/hr crew members…if you’re making an order of chicken tenders, keep the temperature same for all of them. A mom could have touched the first two thinking they’re safe, then given it to their child or dog… Only a manager and one food prep girl at 430 pm on 9/13/2024. My 3 piece chicken tenders was embarrassing. There were two tiny pieces, and a larger piece. I ate the two small ones first. They were cold. The bigger one I saved, was the only fresh fried one. So biting into it im expecting it to be cold like the first two. WRONG. BURNED my mouth on that bite. They were so expensive though, I couldn’t spit it out. The manager lady was not helpful when I asked for my receipt. Really UNCOOL, literally scalding. I guess my calloused hands are to blame, didn’t feel hot to the touch. I always regret not bringing my sack lunch from home.

Drove by monday and tried the Triple western burger, Man was it good! Not to mention I was greeted with excellent customer service by a young man working in the front! Wasn’t in the drive through for longer than 10 min like other fast food places. Props to him over all this restaurant has improved a lot!. I will definitely be back.

Today june 19 at Carls Jr. at 2 pm a young clear skin mexican lady didn't want to give me my rewards free burger, she said that I hace to accumulate rewards points. I had to explain her that is a free burger for opening my Carls junior app.

The place is clean, this location is not as busy as others I've been to. The prices are high for what it is but it's good once in a while. The Cajun fries are spicy, more than I was expecting. My order was quick and the outdoor seating was clean and plenty.

This is a good location. I ate here twice this week. Once for dinner and once for lunch. The first time I had a cheeseburger (double) fries and a drink. The next time I tried the classic combo (little burger, little fry & drink) for $13.99 plus tax. Both times the staff were very friendly and helpful. They frequently were checking on the dining room.

Very good hamburger really good French fries and they give you alot of them they give you free peanuts I dont eat them but that is nice of them it is definitely on the expensive side but the food is good and the service is good restaurant looked clean and it's at the mall so there is plenty of parking

For those who love the "taste" of great fries and not as much the "crunch," you need to go here!! It's worth it for the fries alone but dont miss out on their burgers! I've tried fries from almost everywhere and 5 Guys has the best! Fresh potatoes, never frozen is the key to the best tasting fries ever. They are beyond that other place where you go in and out.

Based on the pricing now, I come here as a treat to myself. My only disappointment is that the lids on the cups are so cheaply made. It's infuriating actually. I made it to the car with half my drink left in the cup, i juggled with the lid slipping/popping off the whole way. Anyway. $20 bacon cheese burger is fine but pls invest back in your own business and get better cups/lids. Thanks.

5 Guys burgers n fries are legit. Only thing that would make it better is if they had ranch! I've definitely thought about bringing my own when we go LOL but hey those cajun fries would be bomb dot com with some ranch and y'all know it!

I must say, this Five Guys is way better tasting than the one in yuma. All though we did have a little misunderstanding with the order. Taste matters most.

These tacos at their core are tasty, well constructed, and unique. The atmosphere is remarkable and service is excellent. However, the sauces on the tacos are a tad overbearing and generally not that tasty. There could also be more meat on the tacos for $6 dollar a pop

Food: Tasty! The birria taco had a real kick to it compared to others I have bad before. I really enjoyed all three tacos that I had. Service: Self checkout with minimal interaction with staff, so defaulting to 5. Atmosphere: Awesome. Just see the other photos. Overall, closing remarks: Delicious food, but doesn't come cheap. Somewhere I will likely be eating at infrequently. My chips didn't come with any salsa or dipping sauce. I might have missed these if they were sitting out for self service. Something to dip them in would have been nice. The chips were hot and good even on their own, though!

First time here in San Diego, and first time at Lucha Libre. I saw a YouTube on this place for good eats. This place was just ok. Unfortunately there was nothing to rave about. I had the Birria Cali, my wife had the Surf Cali, and my son had the Champion Fries with steak. The burritos had too many fries in it and it was the thick soggy fries. The birria lacked taste which was unfortunate. My wife liked her burrito, but still, didn't like the fries. My son's Champion fries was lacking the champion in it. The steak wasn't seasoned that great, and again, lots of soggy fries. It's kind of hard to give a good review after going to Taco El Gordo the night before in Gaslamp.

I love how innovatively they keep introdicing new tacos. They are inventive, all the tacos are delicious, well seasoned. Kids love the burritos. And the salsa bar is a bonus with fresh salsas.

Had a recent fantastic visit at this prt-friendly restaurant. Ordered the Poblano Cali as well as Birria Nachos and they were delicious! The restaurant was spacious with a vibrant decor! Will come back!

Oscars is a local gem! Incredibly fresh and flavorful seafood. Their seafood tacos are the main attraction, but their spicy grilled shrimp salad (add grilled octopus) is also phenomenal. I’d also recommend trying the smoked fish breakfast burrito in the morning!

Oscar’s is legit. Has some of the best fresh seafood tacos and these tacos are large. The battered shrimp and fish tacos are not made with beer but still crunchy and tasty, and are halal!!! Monday-Friday they have happy hour where battered fish tacos are only $1.99!!! Such a steal. The grilled octopus and shrimp are so fresh and tasty and the octopus is not overcooked nor chewy. The smoked salmon fish taco is really good. They have some benches outside to sit on if you want to enjoy your tacos fresh (and for the happy hour deal during the weekdays).

Our first stop in San Diego, Where to go to a local put us at Oscar's doorstep & it did not disappoint. Fresh Food, Smoked fish tacos, Surf & Turf Tacos, Steak Burrito, chips & salsa 3 different squeeze sauces. A must go to while visiting San Diego! Great stop for lunch or dinner. Located a half block from the beach. They do not serve alcohol.

In-N-Out is always a solid choice. The workers here are consistently friendly, helpful, and have a great attitude—it really makes the experience better every time. The food is reliably good as always. I did try their new chocolate ice cream milkshake, and unfortunately, it missed the mark for me. It didn’t taste like chocolate at all. Hopefully, they tweak the flavor in the future, but overall, still a great spot for a quick and satisfying meal.

This place is my favorite fast food spot! I love their double double and fries. The burger is moist and has a slightly burnt bun, which is perfect for me. The staff are always friendly and smiling.

I stopped by for a Double-Double, but instead of a typical order experience, the attendant outside prayed for me and told me that Jesus loves me. While I respect their faith and I’m a Christian myself, I believe there’s an appropriate time and place for that kind of interaction especially in a professional setting. It caught me off guard and made the experience feel uncomfortable and intrusive. I value In-N-Out’s customer service and have always appreciated the positive atmosphere, but I’d expect team members to focus on the service experience rather than personal expressions of faith, unless invited. I wanted to share this feedback in hopes of preserving the welcoming and neutral environment that makes In-N-Out such a great place for everyone.

Well, one thing you can count on living in Southern California is (usually) tasty burgers from in-n-out. That's what I've experienced in all my life, until tonight. These burgers were WAY over seasoned, and the buns were torn/soggy (10 minute drive home). Fwiw, I won't go back to this location.

Ask the kids working there twice to clean the table. Multiple tables were disgusting and hadn’t been clean. They skip our order and we had to go tot he counter.

We had the food DoorDashed. It was delicious even a bit cold it was still good. I loved the burger and the onion rings and fries were great! I also ordered a salad that I had the next day that was yummy too! Sorry, no photos, I was too hungry! But I promise you it was delicious and worth every penny.

I got the truffle burger and was very satisfied, the price is worth what you get, their sodas on tap are also good. There's not a lot of seating inside so we sat outside, it was still nice. My Wife got the regular cheeseburger and was also satisfied. The fries are alright, the onion rings are good though.

The food was fresh and delicious! The onion rings are the best I’ve ever had! The staff was friendly and courteous. It was a beautiful day to dine outside in La Jolla. We stayed for about an hour. We had our yellow lab with us and she was very comfortable and calm.

Nice staff trying hard but it's clear that they are understaffed. Maybe focus on the customer who actually show up versus online ordering. And, maybe do fewer things better. Too much on the menu to master it all, especially with a skeleton staff.

A brilliant place for burgers! Friendly staff and delicious burgers. We got there a bit early and didn't have to wait for a table, but the place filled up quickly for dinner. Many patrons seem to be from around the neighborhood. We're from out of town and took a few laps around the block to find parking.

My first visit to this restaurant today and I ordered combo #9 - two carna asada tacos with rice and beans. The good: carna asada tacos did not disappoint, the meats tasted juicy, tender and with good flavor. The pico de gallo and guacamole made the tacos taste delicious. The bad: the portion size for rice and beans were tiny, they looked nothing like the photo that showed big servings of rice and beans on the side. The beans I must say tasted watery. Also, to my surprise there wasn’t a salsa bar. So if you want a side of carrots or jalapeño peppers you have to pay. This was pretty disappointing. I still might come back and give them another chance, but next time I probably will just order the tacos only.

Best carnitas tacos in San Diego! I love when the carnitas is crispy but still tender and flavorful. Everything tastes very fresh, the guacamole, the beans, the salsas. Price is super fair. I’m now a regular for sure!

We had family in town and decided to try this place based on the reviews, but we left pretty disappointed. The woman at the front was fantastic—friendly, helpful, and welcoming. Unfortunately, the food didn’t live up to the service. Some in our group ordered the tacos carnitas and said they were just okay—not bad, but nothing they’d return for. I had the shrimp tacos and couldn’t get past the first bite. The shrimp tasted old, like it had been left open in the freezer too long—overcooked, lacking seasoning, and with an odd, unpleasant flavor. It looked like they tried to salvage it with some kind of sauce, but it didn’t help. Even more bizarre, the tacos had greasy rice inside them. It didn’t add anything—just made the texture odd—and was paired with plain cabbage. No avocado, no pico, nothing fresh like the meat tacos had. It felt lazy and unbalanced, like no real effort was put into the dish. The great service and a couple of tolerable meat tacos are the only reasons this isn’t a one-star review. Still, I won’t be back and wouldn’t recommend it.

As San Diego native and a long time resident of Pacific Beach, I highly recommend La Playa Taco Shop. I always get their California Burrito (add sour cream). It's the best of the best when it comes to burritos. Their ingredients are top notch. You won't regret going here!

I stopped by Burger Lounge on a weeknight for dinner and tried their burger and fries but got it to go. Service was poor, I ended up waiting in the restaurant for about 25 minutes after ordering. There were only a few other parties in the restaurant and my to go order apparently sat in the kitchen for ~15 minutes of my wait. The food was good, but cold, I’m sure if it hadn’t been sitting for long it would be better but I can only judge based on my experience, underwhelming to say the least.

Good burger place for sure, but it seems over-hyped. I would say a top tier fast-food burger and fries. I prefer five guys and Sonic’s smash burgers over this. However, service was amazing and with all of the folks in there, they kept cranking things out like some AI machines. Would recommend for sure, but pump the brakes on this being the best burger joint.

The food was fresh and it was OK. I really like how they make everything fresh in front of you. That’s awesome. I really like that. What was disappointing as the crowd out the door. I understand that places are busy, but there was absolutely no seating inside or outside. They need more seating outside. They definitely need to figure something out with the seating. Personally, I would not return. We ended up sitting on the curb.

A decent In-N-Out location I’ve been visiting since high school (due to the proximity of music venue SOMA and the Sports Arena). It’s typically pretty clean, orderly, and easy to get in and out of (no pun intended). I came in with two friends recently, ordered a cheeseburger meal with a fry lite well. I also got a lite pink lemonade. Everything was cooked pretty well! It wasn’t greasy, they did the fry cook properly, and the lemonade wasn’t off-kilter in any way. I’m only leaving 4 stars because it’s fast food. I get that In-N-Out is good, and I have rated a location 5 stars before, but that’s because it was an exceptional experience. In-N-Out is good, but it’s not *that* good. It’s just the most consistent burger at its price point—which is a serious accomplishment, especially at the level of expansion the brand has gone through over the past decade. But it’s just fast food.

In and out is always good, but why are the fries like eating cardboard. I hate visiting Cali and having to go there because its over hyped. Why do i gotta order from a secret menu to get good food? Dont get me wrong, the burger is alright, and it can hit the spot. It's better than all the fast food burgers, and I like everything about the business and how they operate. If it was a 5 to 10 minute wait, then yeah it would be worth it. Every time ive been its more like a 20 to 45 minute wait and its honestly not worth it. the wait time to good burger ratio doesnt really add up for me. Without a wait time the burger is a 6.5 out of 10 the Fries... 2 out of 10.

I placed an order through DoorDash, but the app glitched and kept showing that I was “10 minutes away,” even though I was already inside the restaurant. Because of this, the order didn’t show up in their system. I reached out to DoorDash support, but it was a headache—someone kept insisting the order was ready, even though it wasn’t. That’s when a wonderful manager at Burger Lounge stepped in. She helped me communicate with DoorDash and, without hesitation, simply made my order fresh—before DoorDash even made a decision. I didn’t get her name, but she was absolutely kind, professional, and genuinely beautiful inside and out. So grateful for this experience. Thank you, Burger Lounge—not just for the unbeatable burgers, but for the incredible service.

Got the truffle mushroom burger got like 7 small slices of mushroom... The sob burger came with no grilled onions that's literally one of the only ingredients on the burger... Spent $50 on this garbage.... Do yourself a favor and go to "funky fries and burgers" in El cajon worth the drive and the price!

A nice bit of indoor and outdoor seating, everything was clean and well-kept. All the staff were very helpful and generally friendly and attentive. The burgers were all very good and the fries got rave reviews. It is nice having a place with legitimately good gluten-free offerings, and even vegan cheese for those that avoid dairy. Parking is street parking but there’s plenty of small side streets nearby. Prices were very good when compared to more mainline burger places.

Great food and service. Moved out of state, but this spot was tops on the list to visit. Was a favorite place when we lived here.

The burgers were dry and flavorless. There was barely any cheese and they put the wrong kind of cheese on the burgers (not cheddar). The dining area was full of trash and we had to wipe down our chairs. There were no trash cans available. It also took forever for them to actually put in the order. Given the poor quality of the food and the establishment, I feel like I was scammed paying over $130 for a family of 4. I will never come here again.

I’m torn. As a chain Smashburger deserves 5/5, but this location 1/5. This is what my mean looked liked, the food and presentation was great. However my experience at this particular location was awful. I ordered a gluten free bun and it wasn’t until I was halfway done and started feeling sick that I realized the bun wasn’t gluten free even though I was told it was. After admitting their mistake and apologizing the manager said “well I hope you feel better and this didn’t ruin your day too much”. Ok but what I wanted was a refund, instead I was refunded $1 for the gluten free bun charge. At this point I didn’t push it and just left. I included pic of a piece of the “gluten free” bun, you can clearly see it was the egg yolk bun and not the gluten free one

Place was sooooo good the baja burger was aweeeeesomeeeee along with the smash fries ughh lets just say that i barely smashed the fries the burger was soo filling!

Steak taco ($6.49) Spicy Shrimp ($6.99) I liked the steak more because it had a bit more flavor. I don’t really see the hype. It’s pretty solid but not something that memorable and definitely not the best value, I will say I my stomach reacted/ hurt a bit after eating and into the next morning…. Also the girl with Red and Black hair was fairly unpleasant in nature, I had to go back for the sauce and fork request because that’s something you have to ask for which was annoying. Understandable with all the homeless. The food score is honest though, I would suggest trying others on the street I’m sure they are legit too

Product: The burrito was substantial and generously filled, but the ingredients had a tendency to settle at the bottom. The flavors were good, especially the sauces, but the meat had a distinctive taste that was not to my liking. The price point of over $15 is higher than the average in the area. I rated it a 8 out of 10. Service: The service was polite enough, but there was an underlying sense of irritation in the staff's demeanor. I rated it a 4 out of 10. Atmosphere: The cafe benefits from a stunning ocean view, creating a relaxed ambiance. However, the high volume of customers can make it feel a bit hectic. I found it difficult to savor my burrito in such a bustling environment. I went to eat burritos by the ocean. 7 out of 10

The tacos are pretty good except the octopus that was a skipper! The margs aren’t good either . But overall great sauce choices are delicious.

Ok so first of all, we come to this place 19 years and a row. And today we've got the smallest burrito in the US ever! I've been told it's a new way how they do business now. It's sad. Because it was our favorite place in SD!

This is a very small trendy taco joint at the south end of Newport Boulevard very near the ocean. It is often best to get it to go because it is so tiny. They have a wide variety of options including octopus. Their burritos are huge. It is a bit overpriced in my opinion but it is a bit touristy even though locals love it as well. If you can manage to squeeze in and get your order you can always take it Beachside or to the park just to the South and enjoy it with less crowding. Overall I would recommend Mike's. There are so so many taco options in the area though maybe it is best to do a taco crawl and check them all out.

Came here for the first time and is didn’t disappoint! Tried the cali burrito, a protein asada bowl and the horchata with rum. Place was a little packed but the service was very good and cashier was super friendly and helpful. Salsas were spicy yet tasty. Would definitely come Back again and try the surf and turf burrito and the fish tacos as that’s what I saw most people were getting.

They close very late. Even when I came after 10 pm, it was still packed and really lively. I ordered a huge plate for just 16 $ – super affordable and absolutely delicious

There’s also an outdoor dining area with umbrellas, perfect for enjoying the scenic surroundings. You can even spot the beautiful church on the nearby hillside from here. I've always been a fan of this place. This is the first time since they've moved that I've been here (great upgrade btw). First time ordering this sandwich and definitely will be the last. One piece of lettuce, soggy so-called "bacon" tempeh that had ZERO flavoring.... Very very disappointed. $13 spent on this is not it!! I really hope this is not the quality that they are putting out due to their upgrade. Wish I had a better review.... I was really looking forward to an enjoyable meal, which did not happen.

Ok, the vegetable wrap I had was absolutely delicious yet healthy! It was so very tasy! Huge! I was stuffed! Customer service was okay. I ordered inside. I had to wait for someone to come to the register to place my order. Someone eventually came out telling me they'd be with me. That's not so much the issue. It was dry customer service and not very welcoming. However, I truly enjoyed the food!

Never thought I would be giving Evolution 2 stars, but here we are unfortunately. I used to love this place when it had a drive-thru and I returned several years later to see that they removed the drive-thru completely (and possibly moved locations?). Now it is no longer the hole-in-the-wall place it used to be (in a bad way) and is a shared business with Donna Jean, another vegan restaurant. It's small inside as most of the indoor space is for Donna Jean. There is outdoor seating but we just ate inside being the only customers at lunch time. Unfortunately this is where it goes down hill. Me and my girlfriend ordered burritos and they were automatically cut in half (for "Presentation" I'm guessing), but this is a red flag for me. Staff seemed unenthusiastic to be there and the vibes were a little off so we took most of our food to-go. We were up-sold on some fries because it was some sort of "combo" which I'm sure ended up costing more. The "ketchup" we got for the fries was basically like if someone just cracked open a can of tomato paste and called it ketchup. $43 for 2 burritos (which were small portions, cut in half), some fries and 2 fountain drinks is a bit steep to say the least. Overall I won't be returning here and recommend Plant Power over Evolution.

I’m grateful the new location of Evolution inside Donna Jeans has an outdoor patio, but I will forever miss the original location with their large private outdoor seating and drive-through! The service is prompt and comprehensive. The food is really good, and accommodating to food sensitivities.

I used Happy Cow to find a spot to eat while visiting San Diego, and chose Evolution Fast Food based on the positive reviews, which were well deserved It was fairly busy, but the food was prepared well, tasted great and the staff was very friendly had a burger & fries and the hemp milk shake, WOW !! I will deff return

I’ve been here two times and I think it’s safe to say that this place is pretty awesome! I highly recommend the Fuego Burger and if you’re up for something new, there is a Crispy Chk’n & Pesto that is really good as well. While they aren’t pictured with this review, the Buffalo Fries tasted amazing as well.

First of all, the burrito wouldn’t close, which made it very unpleasant to eat. That’s probably why they give out cutlery, which I think is ridiculous. The tables were filthy, and flies were flying around everywhere. My father found a piece of wood in his burrito. It could have pierced his throat or the roof of his mouth. We were shocked — a very bad experience.

We ordered a combo: quesadilla and chicken tacos it came with rice and beans on the side. Overall it was good. Felt a little pricey for the quantity. Taste was good their spicy sauce was really good.

Friendly service and nice outdoor atmosphere close to the water. I ordered the Carne Asada Quesadilla and it was so huge I could only eat 1/4 of it. It was very tasty and stuffed with meat. Very reasonably priced, I'd highly recommend this little place for a quick bite!

What a cute little walk-up restaurant in Seaport Village! Located in the outdoor eating area with plenty of seating, this restaurant is perfect for grabbing a bite to eat before shopping at the many shops of Seaport Village or walking along the Embarcadero. I ordered the carne asada quesatacos, which are like normal tacos but with a sprinkling of cheese grilled into the shell. The meat was well seasoned, and the sauce that came along with the meal added a nice bit of spice to the tacos. The prices were reasonable for the area—about $8 per taco. My friends enjoyed some frozen margaritas as well. We went for lunch on a weekday in March and there wasn’t a line. We waited less than 10 minutes for our food.

Food was fantastic. Great value for being located at Seaport Village (Touristy spot). Surf and Turf Burrito had great flavor and Horchata tasted fresh made. Plus drinks (Margaritas) come in plastic cups so you can take the by the water

Food was so-so and service needs to improve. The veggie quesadilla is just cheese and bell peppers. For the price it was not worth it. The chips and salsa was not good either.

Holy moly this place is authentic Mexican food! So many meals to choose from and it all tastes so good! Our group enjoyed tacos, burritos, and taquitos and you can't forget the chips and guacamole. Their pitcher of lime margarita was very tasty with no syrup taste and had a good amount of alcohol so you can still walk around and enjoy the day at Seaport Village. Don't forget to finish your meal off with a delicious homemade churro! I recommend this place if you enjoy a solid plate of Mexican food that will fill you up!

Nice fast food alternative to Cava. Falafel was hot and cooked perfectly. Plenty of salad and filling options. The place is kept clean and the prices are fair. Will definitely go back.

Met up with my friends in downtown and finally went back to The Kebab Shop after 5 years! Time flies, I’ve really missed this place. The food is still so good and definitely worth it! I always get the wrap, it’s big, delicious, and I can never finish it. The place is clean, the staff are friendly, and it’s a great spot to enjoy with friends and family.

I couldn’t believe the size of the wrap at The Kebab Shop—it was literally as long as my arm, seriously! But beyond the wow factor, it was packed with flavor, tasty, and totally satisfying. The best part? It’s affordable, quick, and generous enough to make two meals out of one. If you’re craving a hearty, delicious kebab fix, this spot is a must-try!

I had chicken swarma in Jordan and fell in love with the dish .The Kebab Shop was even better! Delicate tender chicken, saffron rice ..oh no! The Truffle brown rice was the best rice I ever ate. You won't be disappointed... delicious!

I am updating my previous 5 star review to 4 stars. Great consistent food and service from Anthony, Ari and Ernesto (they are excellent) as I visit here a 3x a week however I have been somewhat apprehensive lately but still do due to the very good quality food and staff. Last night when I was eating my food a chronic homeless man who probably had not taken a shower in months with a strong odor came in and was using the soda machine with his personal tumbler multiple times and putting ice in his cup than going to the trash can across the food counter and rubbing his hands as if he was washing it and did this repeatedly clearly not well. Several times he passed me while I was eating my food. No real effort was made by the staff to ask him to leave. My advise to management is in the future you may want to reconsider your policy around guest experience and for the positive atmosphere of the other guest.

I was having a bad day before walking in here today, Kim and kevin are the dream team, fast courteous service made my friday! I only get 30 mins for lunch in our office at fred about a block away, my food was ready within less than 5 minutes wish id taken a picture of my food before the review but it was so good it didnt even occur to me to leave a picture with a review, the vibe of the place is clean and welcoming, perfect spot for a quick lunch

Stopped by for a quick bite after a long walk around San Diego, food was amazing and service was awesome!

I ended up going to this place because the Greek place I was so looking forward to has been closed down. I had the Southwest Avocado Burger combo with fries and a soda and it was very tasty. The only thing that I didn’t like about the burger is that it got very mushy and fell apart with the first bite due to all the sauce they put on it. They also use a spreadable avocado instead of fresh sliced which was a little disappointing. The burger itself really didn’t have a flavor because it wasn’t grilled long enough it actually had a gray color to it like it was steamed or not left on the grill long enough. The price was definitely great especially for downtown San Diego and at Seaport Village.

If you’re craving a great burger in San Diego, this spot is a must-visit! The portions are generous—you definitely get your money’s worth. Each burger is packed with flavor, juicy, and cooked just right. The value for money is excellent, especially compared to other places in the area. "Its fresh food, not fast food." These are some of the best burgers I've ever had! All their ingredients taste super fresh. Food comes out a little slower because everything is fresh and made to order, so I feel it's well worth the pricing. Plenty of outdoor seating in the area too and a nice menu range for all diet types. Their Salmon burger was delicious as well as their "Burger burger" which is two patties. Only downside, their fries are ok, nothing really too special about them.

Stopped to grab something to eat while walking around Seaport Village. It's in a food court type area with other eating establishments very nearby. A burger sounded good and the prices were very reasonable. I got a hamburger and fries. Both were very good. If I'm ever in the area again I'd definitely try it again

Bacon Cheeseburger was great. A little more seasoning in the meat would have made it better but the toppings were fresh, Fries were excellent, hot and fresh. Service was excellent. Will definitely come back. A staple for a good burger.

The avacado bacon burger was fantastic in that greasy way that few places get right. The french fries were fresh and well done. They did forget my jalapeño cheddar topping but the line was way too long to wait for a correction so I just let the $1.50 go and enjoyed dinner with friends.

Love eating tacos at City Tacos. Such unique combination of tacos that are all wildly delicious. Look forward to eating here anytime I’m in San Diego. The prices are reasonable at around $4 to $5 a taco.

It’s the kind of experience that makes you want to come back just because of how welcome you feel. The tacos were delicious too but the service really stood out. Its nice to have a place with a variety of vegetarian tacos that werent just cactus or beans and cheese. We got the city zuchini and chili relleno. Each had a good mixture of veggies and sauce pairings. The tortias were a nice stretchy which was good considering the amount of filling would have ripped straight through a corn tortia. They had a sauce bar that was pretty good but the mango sauce was more of a syrup than a sauce. On its own it was too much but in the taco it worked. Overall a good spot.

I have craved city tacos since I first had them in 2018!! I was so excited to come back to San Diego primary for the chorizo asado tacos here!

Yummy tacos! Good vegetarian and gluten free options. Big menu and all are very yummy! Parking is not great if you are coming here just for this spot, I recommend going to the big parking garage just down the street.

I stopped by City Tacos today for lunch.. and it turns out it was National Taco Day, such a fun surprise!! They had this spinner wheel game going on and with a little motivation from the team I ended up scoring a free taco 🤗 The energy from the staff was incredible, They were both so enthusiastic, friendly and super thorough and informative with their recommendations and they were right, the grilled shrimp taco was absolutely delicious and I’ll be back soon redeem my free taco voucher for another!! 😂🤤🌮 The food was amazing but it was really the team that made the experience so lively and welcoming. Great vibes and music, delicious tacos, and top tier customer service. I’ll DEFINITELY be back! 👍🏻🔥🤗

Don't even know where to begin with this place. Everything was fantastic! Tunes were awesome, had me dancing and singing in my seat. Service from the team was helpful and kind. Food was magnificent! I tried each of the traditional tacos and all of them are must tries! Guacamole was yummy! Green and red salsa was on point. Spicy creamy dipping sauce is a must try. Loved this place!

I’ve been wanting to try In-N-Out for the longest time. The place has a cool vibe. The food came out hot and fresh. I especially loved the fries. The burger was good. Well seasoned patty, the cheese was perfectly melted but nothing too out of the ordinary. It’s a solid spot to have classic California burger.

What can one say about the iconic In-N-Out Burger? This location in La Jolla has very awkward parking and many cars just line up on the road outside the lot, rather than getting tied up in the mess. The food is great here as with every other place. Two double/doubles tonight, no fries or drink. Always recommend this good burger spot. If you are low carb, be sure to ask for a Flying Dutchman with onions and skip the bun. They have other ‘secret menu’ options. Not really a secret, but just not on the board for all to see.

In-N-Out is basically California’s most reliable friend: always there with a smile, a burger that hits, and prices that don’t feel like robbery. The Pacific Beach location may be a little off the beaten path, but I’ll happily detour for it. As for the fries… well, they’re fine, but let’s not pretend they’re the star of the show. This is a burger run, not a fry pilgrimage.

In and out is best at everything. Stay open at midnight, offer delicious food, location is very convenient, parking is very easy, and especially… the waiters’ attitude is the best

I don’t know why people still go to In-N-Out. It’s completely fallen off. You guys should go to smash and stack in Pacific Beach. The burgers actually taste like what a burger should be not the Americanized version which is complete shit. By the way, the photos included our of smash & Stack in Pacific Beach. You guys should go check it out.

My meal was amazing, but giving two stars because I saw not just one, but two dogs inside! They clearly were not service dogs and their owners were in pairs, so one of them could have even waited outside while the other ordered. There are also tables outside to eat outside with your dog, not inside. Be considerate to the people around you and leave your dog at home or outside. Don’t go to this location if you are scared of dogs or unless you want dog hair in your food.

This is Pacific Beach but actually located inland P.B more like close to the freeway 5. I used the drive-thru. I had to wait a long time for long line. My order was a combo, but they overcharged me for the combo price. I was driving, and the parking lot at this location is so narrow and crowded that I couldn't turn back. I'll go somewhere else instead of this one.

In-N-Out Burger is hands down one of the best burger joints out there! The taste is absolutely amazing—fresh, flavorful, and satisfying every single time. The quality of the ingredients really stands out, making each bite a true delight. What makes the experience even better is the incredible value for money. You get top-notch burgers, fries, and shakes at very reasonable prices, which is rare these days. The service is super fast and efficient. Even with a long line of cars, the team takes your order while you’re still in the queue, and we had our food in less than ten minutes. That level of speed and organization is truly impressive. Overall, In-N-Out delivers one of the best burger experiences you could ask for. If you haven’t tried it yet, you’re missing out!

In-N-Out Burger is a must-try on the West Coast! The menu is simple but everything is fresh and delicious. The burgers are juicy, the buns are soft, and the vegetables are crisp. Their signature sauce makes every bite perfect. Don’t miss the “Animal Style” fries for an extra treat. Prices are very reasonable, and the service is always friendly. I even bought a souvenir T-shirt, which made the visit feel extra special. No wonder this place is such a California classic!

Just wanted to shout out Katherine at In-N-Out in Kearny Mesa. She greeted us with the warmest smile and even opened the door for us! The whole time we were there, she was making sure everything was clean and taken care of. When we finished eating, she offered to take our trays. She’s literally working joyfully!! Her friendliness and good energy honestly made my day!

Obviously love and loved the food today, but I felt like leaving a review because of the awesome customer service and experience. I know it is a part of their job, but there is a huge difference when they have a grown adult that seems to enjoy their job versus a teen that just wants to make some side money. I would definitely recommend this location to others.

I’ve been coming to this In-N-Out location for years every now and then. Last night I was craving something a little “cheat-meal-ish” and I ended up here. It was really busy for a Sunday night! I parked and went inside, since it’s typically a bit faster when the car line is super long. I ordered a protein-style cheeseburger (add both raw and grilled onion and chopped chilis) and a classic Flying Dutchman (no onion-wrap). I put the Flying Dutchman into the protein-style cheeseburger and it was like an extra cheesy, protein-style 3x3 with chilis. It was good, sure. And for ~$12 with a small drink it’s a deal, but like I typically mention on fast-food reviews, it’s hard for me to give any fast-food place 5/5 stars, mainly since it seems weird in the overall scheme of ratings, where I’ve considered much fine dining and unique cultural experiences. Overall, this is a nice location, typically quite cleanly, though it gets very busy at times. Not a bad choice for an In-N-Out though.

Dear In-N-Out Customer Relations, I’m writing to formally share my experience at one of your locations today, which left me deeply disappointed and questioning the quality and integrity that In-N-Out has long been known for. I stopped in for a simple order — a hamburger, extra toasted, extra onion, extra ketchup, spread, extra lettuce, and tomato — a very standard customized request that your staff should handle with care and consistency. Unfortunately, the result was anything but. The burger I received had only a single small piece of lettuce, two tomatoes, and a heavy amount of caramelized onions drenched in grease. The bun was soggy, the patty looked discolored, and the entire sandwich was coated in a slick layer of what appeared to be oil or residue inconsistent with normal preparation. It didn’t reflect the freshness or attention to detail your company publicly associates itself with. Beyond the food, the overall tone of customer service was noticeably unwelcoming and indifferent, as if patrons like me were an inconvenience rather than valued guests. That’s troubling, especially from a brand that prides itself on Christian values, ethics, and hospitality. I genuinely hope this was an isolated incident and not reflective of deeper issues in training or supervision at this location. However, if this pattern continues — where quality and courtesy fall below the standard — it will be the last time I order from In-N-Out. I’m requesting: 1. A full refund or store credit for this order, and 2. A quality assurance review of the store’s food preparation and sanitation practices, particularly regarding temperature control, freshness, and order accuracy. Please confirm receipt of this message and advise how you plan to follow up. I’ve always respected In-N-Out for its commitment to service and values — I hope this concern is taken seriously and addressed promptly

We got a couple of burritos here and I think they were okay... There's nothing wrong with them... Rice was fine... Chips were good... You can see the staff was working very hard to accommodate us... but at the end of the day $3 for a Coca-Cola is ludicrous... Overall value was a miss, burrito was a bit smalll... we went because it was right next to the hotel.

One of three tacos in the Coastal Trio did not have any fish (blackened tilapia missing). I accept that mistakes happen but I do not accept a lack of response from the business. I tried calling the location multiple times after I found the problem with my take out order, and only received a message "call back later". I submitted an online form with a formal complaint to Rubio's HQ and asked for a response over a week ago. No response received. Poor/ lack of customer service is unacceptable and kills business!!!

A decent spot for Mexican food. We tried the california bowl, the chicken burrito and loaded nachos. The california bowl was nothing great. They also forgot to add the guac, which was disappointing. The burrito was decent. Loaded nachos were again nothing worth mentioning. The chipotle salsa was good and added a good zing to the food. All in all a decent food chain for some quick mexican food. Nothing worth mentioning. The service is quick. Ambience is nothing to be mentioned about.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Food was amazing and reasonably priced. Will definitely go again before leaving to go home.

I really appreciate how they’ve kept this location a classic. In the days of overexpansion, Rubio’s keeps it simple and classy. This is a great place to stop for a chopped chicken salad and there’s ample seating considering the size of the restaurant.

It looks like they have improved compared to earlier years. A much greater variety of fish tacos. And, the portions seem to be larger, including the chips and beans. The iced tea didn't taste like much. The service was quick even though there was a constant stream of customers. Very old, low-budget seating. Obviously, no one cares about that.

These guy's rock. Customer service is out of this world amazing! We have complicated food allergies, they were able to get us our food safely! Recommendations were awesome, food taste great!

Will never come back to this Rubio's, had a really gross experience re: food safety. Rob brought our food to us and accidentally dropped the clear sauce cup with a lid onto the ground. It was visibly leaking and he still picked it up and handed it to us saying it was still good. The sauce cup was cracked and leaking, so we went to ask for a new cup of sauce, and Rob tried to push that it was fine. Finally Rob gave us a new sauce cup, handed the cracked one to the kitchen employee and said (in front of us) "Just give it to the next customer." I'm under no illusions about fast food restaurants, but when customers return an food item (especially in bad condition) you are NOT supposed to serve it to a different customer for sanitary reasons. It is also really rude to drop food on the ground in front of a customer and then still serve it to them. That's basic food safety and hygiene, and also basic respect for other people. For the sake of my health I won't be back, and I am so so sorry to “the next customer” they gave that sauce cup to.

I ordered take out for my family from Rubio's and overall we thought the food was too spicy, not very good, and barely warm. I ordered online, got there about 5 minutes before the food was supposed to be ready and it was a little late and we ate the food within 10 minutes of it coming out and it was still barely warm. They were fairly busy as they were running a promotion for a local high school which I think is fantastic by the way. Restaurant was mostly clean, one of the employees was scrambling to clean the tables. The staff was friendly and the manager came out to the folks in line to politely tell them they were running late which I also thought was great.

So glad that this location is still open! Very convenient and beautiful location. Indoor and outdoor dining, but we usually just order on the app and take it home. The whole family loves their food! Best salsa bar ever!!

I ordered "Two Battered shrimp taco plate" tacos overall mehhh experience cold tortillas a BIG TURN OFF, shrimps were okay.... Pinto beans no flavor at all. I also ordered a side of guacamole I guess the "Gua" was best thing with my chips... Service, super blank no hospitality service at all I didn't experience any... am I gonna be back??? Probably not 👎

Come in on Tuesday night to try Fish Tacos and the place was packed. Lots of people hanging around waiting to pickup their online orders. Most of tables had been occupied. After being seated we had to wait about 25' for our food. The fish was crunchy and tasted really good. The salsa bar also offer many choices of sauce that is a plus. Next time we'll check in early to avoid the rush.

Love this Rubios in general, food is great, customer service is great but, but, In this particular location their salsas man😑 ... Nothing like the other ones I've tried... They're usually VERY consistent with their salsas flavor but all three of the red salsas were NOT as good as other places and the green salsa was already going bad 😫 Cause of this, sadly I have to give em a 3.1 rating 😭

This is a high end fast food place. The menu has a lot of originality and this place has a lot of promise. The staff is friendly. The facility is clean and neat. We had a shockingly long wait for our food. The food was not as good as we were led to believe. I got the original fish tacos and they simply are battered fish with taco shells wrapped around them and a little more to dress it up. We expected something more. So we are in no hurry to return to Rubio's.

Went to Adalberto's Mexican Food on Rosecrans last night at 10:30pm. The business closes at 11pm. Usually the food and service is always good, but not tonight. I asked for Pollo asada fries with shrimp and the worker told me they were out of everything except beans and steak. The kitchen was clean and they weren't trying to cook anything. There was a large mound of beans they had pre-prepared and they had also pre-prepared the steak and had it on a warmer. This is how people get food poisoning through lazy workers who just want to go home and could care-less about the quality of the food. I hope this is just an anomaly as I said prior usually the food is great. I hope management addresses this immediately and nothing like this ever happens again to anyone else. The steak we ate was dry and tasteless. We ordered 2 bean burritos for my son and his friend. Myself and my friend ordered 2 1/2 orders of carne asada fries. All of the food was well below the quality this restaurant is known for.

I tried this adalbertos in particular after my boss recommended it being one of his favorites. I will say the service and quickness to get a burrito was phenomenal. But the burrito itself did lack some cheese and flavors. My boss now knows where to go and has my opinion on the sauces.

Great Mexican food! I’m usually not a fan of Mexican food but this place serves really tasty burritos. California burrito was simply amazing. It has cheese, sour cream, potatoes, sauces, and steak inside. We got the steak replaced by the chicken, you could go either shredded or grilled. Rolled tacos were good too. They serve carrots along with complimentary chips. The service was quite quick and the servers were extremely friendly.

We're visiting sea world tomorrow. We thought this would be like Alberto's. It is not. The food lacked flavor. Beans were old and dry. The green salsa is the only one edible. The older man who was at the register was not welcoming nor happy to see costumers. Save your $$ go somewhere else.

For the past 10 years, my husband has been raving about Adalberto’s, reminiscing about the incredible food from his time in San Diego. So when we finally made the trip back, our very first stop—no joke—was here. And wow, it has not changed one bit! Everything was just as he remembered, and now I understand why he’s been talking about it for years. We ended up eating here four times during our visit—breakfast twice, lunch once, and dinner once. It was actually our departing meal, too! We arrived right when they opened, grabbed breakfast burritos, and sat down at the airport to enjoy them while waiting for our flight—truly the perfect farewell. Adalberto’s makes everything fresh to order, and the flavors are unreal. The verde sauce? Spectacular. We were pouring it all over everything. My carne asada tacos were incredible—fresh guac, perfectly grilled meat, and a choice of verde or red sauce. **Chef’s kiss!** The horchata? Sooo good! My husband, without hesitation, ordered the California burrito, and honestly, nowhere else compares to how Adalberto’s makes them. During our breakfast adventures, we tried the chorizo & egg burrito, steak, eggs & cheese burrito, and the machaca burrito, and every single one hit the spot. There wasn’t a single bite that disappointed. This was one of those rare travel experiences where I left genuinely sad that I can’t just have this food whenever I want. Nothing at home even comes close. If you’re in San Diego, do yourself a favor—don’t just try Adalberto’s. Make it a tradition.

My friend suggested we meet at Adalberto's. The food here is delightful!!! Portion sizes are very generous- my husband and I both took home 1/2 of our burrito 🌯 and enjoyed it for breakfast the next morning. It reheated really well, ie: it still tasted great! The parking lot is super small and shared with a few other businesses, but street parking looked plentiful. There are several tables with benches and/or chairs. We were a party of 7 and easily fit around one of the large tables. Would definitely recommend!

This is a great place to get delicious Mexican food at unbeatable prices! The portions are large, and the folks are friendly. Like most of the best Mexican food in California, you get free chips and salsa as soon as you come in to dine. The tacos are phenomenal! The burritos are massive! You will never leave this place hungry!

I'm not big on seafood but their chicken tacos are so delicious and my fiance absolutely loves their bacon shrimp burrito! Want to point out that their beans are even better than what I've experienced at some of pricier restaurants too. Clean location, friendly service and consistently yummy food - ample parking as well.

I love Rubios! When I'm near by one, I always stop for food there. This location has always been one of my favorites. They're fast, friendly and CLEAN! I've been to many locations and this one is the cleanest one that I've seen. 100% recommend if your looking for American Mexican food.

I've enjoyed Rubio's for years, but today deserves a special shout out. TL;DR great food and service even during a rush Even though there was a line at the register I was able to place my order in a very reasonable amount of time. +1 for quick cashier skill The taco Tuesday deal is always a welcome sight and $3 a pop for the taco especial makes sure that Taco Tuesdays, stay Taco Tuesdays. +1 for good deals My food came out pretty quickly and tasty as always! My cousin and I both ordered Chicken chopped salad, which was brought to our table immediately. The salads were quite large and we agreed that we probably should have gotten one salad to share. Wrong! The salads were delicious and we both ate every last bite. Clean, great service and delicious food.

Was waiting for about 10 min. Sign said to ask. Both cashiers ignored me. So I stood there on my phone. Finally, the cashier got pissed and gave me my food. As bad as this experience was, now I remember why I don't eat at Rubios or order there. The Service. Thanks for reminding grumpy cashier ladies. Who btw, could use the exercise of taking 2 seconds to be polite and help me and walk the 8 inches to give me my food. Awful place as usual. Now I do recall. See you again in another 4 months when I forget this horrible experience.
