Cold Garden Beverage Company is a trendy microbrewery located in the vibrant Inglewood neighborhood of Calgary. The industrial-style brewhouse offers a unique selection of craft beers, including innovative flavors like Cakeface, a Marzen lager infused with vanilla beans for a birthday cake taste. With its patio and snacks, it's an ideal spot to hang out with friends and enjoy board games while sipping on creative brews.
The vibe of this bar is amazing, staff is friendly and the beers and ciders really good. They have gluten free options, I have tried the Iced Tea (with vodka) and the apple cider and loved it. The apple cider is delicious, fruity but not sweet. We will come back for sure

A very cool place. Love to hang out with friends especially after work or a long day! A bit chill this time of the year at the patio, we stayed inside where there are a lot of big tables and couches to sit on. Beers were alright. You can bring your own food in!
Zoo M — Google review
Funky brewery with a cool vibe inside. Really nice staff. Super unique venue. Dogs are allowed, kids too. They have the pedal wagon. Cool signage.
Marta B — Google review
Great microbrewery with a clean and colorful environment. I really appreciate that they're dog friendly. You can bring your dog inside or on the wonderful patio. Lots of tables and full size couches. The beers are plentiful, lots of choices at a reasonable price too. I enjoyed the Red Ale. Great job, keep up the great work!

My all time favourite place to hang, I’m there probably once a week during the summer and a few times a month in the winter. The staff are the best super friendly and fun! And the beer is wonderful, any beer you try you will like! I will recommend trying the birthday cake beer at least once it’s a very interesting experience of a beer and even if you don’t like beer you will like cake face!
Macyn F — Google review
Very cool hip craft brewery, service, scenery, vibe and beers are all top notch!
Birdman — Google review
Always worth a visit when you're in the area. Great beer brewed on-premises. Tap room is ... eclectic? ... eccentric? ... a lot of fun anyway (and also dog-friendly and kid-friendly). Spacious patio for warm weather. No food service, but you can bring in takeout (or even home-cooked!) or order delivery. Overall, a great experience.

I wish there was a selection for 6 stars. Really really good drinks. Not a bad thing on tap. The staff are also 11/10. I forgot the bottle that I bought and they gave me a new one when I came in the next day.

Wine bar
Restaurant
Vin Room Mission is a stylish and modern wine bar in Calgary, offering an extensive selection of 109 wines by the glass. With three locations across the city, including one at YYC Calgary International Airport, it has become a popular destination for both wine enthusiasts and casual drinkers. The outdoor patio provides chic sidewalk seating for patrons to enjoy their wine in an urban setting.
My partner and I went for a quick happy hour drink and snack on (what I and Avenue Magazine believe is) one of the best patios in Calgary. Everything was fantastic. Edwin, our server, was incredibly knowledgeable, personable, and competent. The happy hour snacks and wine were amazing. I cannot believe they can sell wine and food of that quality at such a discounted price. Specifically, we had the oysters and the duck wings. The oysters were so fresh we didn't need the mignonette sauce - although it was delicious too. We could have eaten two orders of the duck wings. The sauce was amazing. The white Bourgogne wine was also exceptional. We had plans that evening, so we could not stay for dinner. I must admit that I was quite sad to leave, so we plan to return soon for a full evening of excellent food, drink, and service. We cannot recommend this place highly enough.
Cynthia G — Google review
A great place for a drink and snacks or dinner. When you are inside, it's like being back in time. Rustic atmosphere. They offer a variety of large and small plates. Some items can be ordered by the piece. This gives a small table a chance to sample more items. Great idea. Service is exceptional. Not too rush, but attentive enough. Will definitely be returning.
Howard N — Google review
Early dinner on a rainy day. Fantastic tapas - especially the duck wings & bacon-wrapped dates - lovely wine, and friendly service made it an exceptional meal.
Heidi S — Google review
We came to Vin Room Mission for happy hour on a Monday evening to celebrate our boss’s birthday who also happens to be a sommelier and the entire experience exceeded our expectations. From the very beginning, Amanda, our server, went above and beyond to make the night special. Even before our reservation, she reached out personally to understand how we envisioned the evening, which was such a thoughtful touch. When we arrived, we were warmly greeted, and to our surprise, Amanda had a beautifully arranged charcuterie board ready at our table to kick off the celebration. It was such a lovely and unexpected way to start the evening. Throughout the night, we explored several wines from their impressive selection, and every recommendation hit the mark. The wine menu is clearly curated with care, offering a wide variety of options for every palate. The atmosphere was cozy, inviting, and perfect for a relaxed celebration. The food was fantastic. The duck wings were a standout and a first for many of us, and they did not disappoint! All in all, it was an incredible experience thanks to Amanda’s attention to detail, the warm ambiance, and the amazing food and wine. We’ll definitely be back and recommending Vin Room Mission to friends and colleagues!

Such a great spot! Great food, amazing wine selection, and friendly service in a cozy atmosphere. They also do some great take-out options too. Ordered the Thanksgiving dinner to take home and it was absolutely amazing. So good, great flavour, and very generous portion. Love this place!
Greg C — Google review
Overall, it was a nice night out. We had an excellent waiter for the evening, introducing the extensive cocktail and wine selection. TAPPS were tasty, unfortunately the main was not as tasty as I hoped. My friends ordered a variety of different wines and enjoyed them, also nice to have a variety of oz to select from. Unfortunately the cocktail were not as enjoyable.

We sat outside on the rooftop patio which is lovely. We did move into the lounge when the weather became unstable. No problem moving. We lounged over drinks and shareable light options and then shared some features. Met the chef Adam, who is creative and very friendly, along with our server Jason, made our evening fun. Loads of laughs, lounge environment, inside and outside options!
Sharlene M — Google review
Came here because of its dog friendly patio but would definitely return again to the restaurant for their tapas and wine. The tapa style menu worked well because you can try so many different dishes and pair with your drink. I can't find anything to complain about the food. Everything from the spaghetti, steak frites, lobster nachos and charcuterie board was well made and full of flavor that melts in your mouth. The complimentary truffle popcorn was gone in a few seconds because of how delicious it was. Wish they could give more of the popcorn. In terms of the dog friendly patio, they provide a "dog bed" which is just a large dog cushion, but they gave a water bowl and complimentary dog treats which my corgi loved. There really isn't a space to tie your dog's leash to, and the patio space is a bit small with only 2 small bar tables and a long skinny bar table seating. The patio could fit about 8 guests if packed. It's an alright space for your dog, but unfortunately it would be more comfortable to be inside the restaurant without your furry friend. I recommend coming for happy hour which is 3pm-6pm and 9pm-close.

Ranchman’s Cookhouse & Dancehall is a popular western bar and dance hall in Calgary that offers a unique cowboy experience year-round. The venue features a spacious dance floor, live stage for performances, and an exciting mechanical bull. Guests can enjoy pub-style food from 4:00pm onwards before joining one of the many dance lessons offered on select days.
Coming from Ontario, I wasn’t sure what to expect with line dancing, but wow—Albertans have truly mastered the art of a great night out! The energy, the music, and the dancing were absolutely incredible! The food was delicious, and the waitresses? The sweetest, most delightful, and humbly beautiful people you could meet. Even the massive bouncers had warm smiles as we passed by—what a welcoming place! One bouncer even caught me snapping pictures on the bull out on the deck, and instead of kicking me out (since we weren’t technically supposed to be there), he let it slide. Thank you, Mr. Bouncer—you rock! The picture turned out amazing, and I have to upload it (hoping it doesn’t start a trend, hahaha). What a night to remember!

Went this evening, a Saturday in March, had THE BEST time! The live band, vibes and general crowd was great, felt people were friendly and everyone was there just to enjoy the music, some drinks and lots of dancing!! The operator of the mechanical bull was great, friendly and helpful. Going for a ride made my night and highly recommend for any adventure seekers! I tried the line dance lessons with the headphones - that was new for me and was blown away at this new tech - could hear the instructions so clearly and had so much fun! Don’t forget your cowboy hat!🤠

May 2025 Went to Ranchmans to go see the show 'Forbidden nights'. The show was awesome and extremely funny! Funny I the best way possible. If they come back to Calgary again, my friends and I will be coming back again. It would be nice to see a show like this in a more established location like an event center or hall, but this bar made it work! It was spacious and fun.
Tasha A — Google review
Being my first time in Calgary for a national competition, one of our social nights was to ho line dancing at Ranchman’s. I’d never been line dancing before but my lord it was fun! We even got a private line dancing lesson but even if you don’t know the people are kind enough to lend a hand and help you learn. Service was awesome, the dancing was fun, the energy was great, the food was good. I went in with no expectations and was blown away. 12/10 I highly recommend this place for a fun active night out.
Thomas I — Google review
We reserved tables for 18 and had an absolute blast. The live music was great, our server was top shelf and no one in our party waited for her to catch up on orders. For the group size, food arrived quickly and was delicious and came to our table hot.

Such a fun place! It gets very busy so book tables if you can!! Great spot for a girls night out 🤠👢

Jordan was the best bartender I’ve ever met. She was so nice, and so welcoming. She has made me come back to this bar numerous times and made me and my friends feel so comfortable. She deserves a raise for her efficient service and kind demeanor. Thankyou Jordan.
Julia G — Google review
Last time you will ever see me there. When I got married 3 years ago in Grande Prairie I took my wife, an ex-cattle farmer there for the first time on our honeymoon. Tonight was the first time back since, we got there as the band played their last song. Watching across the dance floor of rap, we seen a screen showing the mechanical bull ride. Went straight for it, got turned around after 15 mins to go sign a waiver. She paid the $39.50 to ride the bull and signed the digital waiver after waiting 20 minutes. We wait 15 minutes to get turned around again cause she doesn’t have the approval code, even though he could see on his iPad yes she paid and was in the cue. She again went back while I watched her drink waiting 15 more minutes for the “propped up” bartender to say “just so you know, for your size and for your age, you really shouldn’t be riding the bull. “ Who wouldn’t be devastated and walk away with the last shred of dignity. After the $24 admission, $50 drinks (which we didn’t finish) and $39.50 bull ride she paid for, I tried to get that code and she wouldn’t let me not knowing the story til after we left, but seeing tears. I won’t be stepping in there ever again for any kind of refund, you made your last dollar off of us because the day I got married I vowed to honour my wife for the rest of my days, and hearing the reason after she left in tears, well I can’t say I’ll miss you either, BUT I will honour her dignity. The video is the guy before I left. The rope light is just above the bar we paid. You really shouldn’t have gotten rid of the old chuck wagons and saddles in the ceiling, there’s no nostalgia left.

UNA Pizza + Wine on 17th Ave is a trendy and intimate spot that offers creative gourmet pizzas, signature kale salads, and a curated list of wines. The restaurant's cozy back room features dim lighting, leather seating, exposed brick, and vintage fixtures reminiscent of Prohibition-era France.
What an incredible experience! We decided to go to UNA Pizza on 17th Ave for dinner, and it turned out to be a perfect choice. Even though we didn’t have a reservation on a busy Friday night, the friendly staff accommodated us at the bar, where we got to soak in the lively atmosphere. The food exceeded our expectations—delicious, fresh, and perfectly executed. To top it all off, we discovered a hidden gem tucked away at the back of the restaurant—Frenchie Wine Bar, a speakeasy-style spot that felt like a secret escape. The intimate ambiance, carefully curated selection of wine and cocktails, and cozy vibe made the evening even more special. Overall, it was a night to remember! Amazing food, great service, and a surprise hidden gem—we couldn’t have asked for more. Highly recommended for anyone looking for an unforgettable dining experience in Calgary! 🍷🍕✨

We came on such a busy night so we didn’t have a server for the first 5-10 minutes but after that, everything came out so fast that we couldn’t keep up! We couldn’t fault them for how busy it was as the rest of the staff took care of us and the food was so good. My fave pizza was the feature pizza (Spicy Chicken Bacon Ranch) and would definitely come back to try out the other features !!

UNA pizza + wine Calgary just has to be visited when your name is Una! It is a popular Italian restaurant on 17th Avenue. I choose to have the kale Cesar salad for one while my hubby had his carnivore filled pizza. We both enjoyed our meals. He had a couple of cans of the UNA larger and he liked them. I had some red tempreniilo which was good. Service was efficient and speedy.

Celebrated my pup's 5th bday here! We chose to dine here because of the patio but food and servers were amaaaaaaazing!! 🤩 Very accommodating and friendly. We really enjoyed our stay including our pup. Thanks to all the wonderful servers earlier. Sorry we didn't get your names.

So happy with the experience we had here. The staff was so nice and friendly. Food came out quick, everything was delicious. Garlic bread was fresh and amazing!!! And for dessert we ordered the dulce de leche one and omg it tasted sooo good! 100% recommended!

Una is one of my favorite pizza places in Calgary. However, one of my absolute favorite dish there is the arancini, they’re the best! I just wish the portion was bigger. Hahahaha Yesterday, we were served by Caio, who is such a lively, friendly, and welcoming person. His service made me feel right at home. Una Pizza, you have a great professional on your team!
Monny G — Google review
YUMMY! Got Spicy and Sweet Prosciutto (up) and The Local (bottom). Both were yummy but the local was overall sweet while Spicy and Sweet Prosciutto was sweet and a little spicy. More fun in flavour!
Gyuri ( — Google review
A Calgary classic! Always recommend going mid-day so you’re guaranteed a nice table. Una is a consistent experience, with great service, reliably delicious food and great specials. The arancini is always a must, and if you’re getting two pizzas, one with greens and one without is always a good bet. Our favourite combo is the mushroom, then the sweet and spicy prosciutto, but really, we’ve had them all at this point and they all slap.

Park
Nature & Parks
Sue Higgins Park, formerly known as Southland Park, is a sprawling 62-hectare riverside park located in the southeast corner of Calgary. It boasts the city's largest fenced off-leash area, making it a popular destination for dog owners. The park features walking paths, picnic tables, and abundant green space along the Bow River.
"Step into a paradise tailored for our four-legged companions and their devoted owners! This dog park is a testament to the joy and camaraderie shared between dogs and humans alike. As you enter, a sense of excitement fills the air as pups of all breeds and sizes romp freely across lush green fields, their tails wagging with boundless enthusiasm. The attention to detail is evident in every corner, from the meticulously maintained grounds to the thoughtfully placed amenities. Water stations strategically dot the landscape, providing refreshment for both canines and their caregivers. Shaded seating areas offer respite from the sun, allowing for moments of relaxation and socialization amidst the lively atmosphere. But it's not just the physical space that makes this park exceptional—it's the sense of community that thrives within its boundaries. Here, friendships are forged, both furry and otherwise, as dog owners come together to share stories, tips, and laughter. Whether it's a game of fetch, a leisurely stroll along the designated paths, or simply basking in the joy of watching our canine companions revel in their freedom, every moment spent here is infused with warmth and camaraderie. And let's not forget the thoughtful segregation of play areas, ensuring that dogs of all sizes can enjoy their time without worry. From the pint-sized pups to the gentle giants, each one finds their place to frolic and explore in safety and comfort. In conclusion, this dog park isn't just a place—it's an experience. It's a celebration of the bond between humans and dogs, a sanctuary where tails wag, hearts swell, and memories are made. Whether you're a seasoned dog owner or simply looking to bask in the joy of canine companionship, this park promises an unforgettable adventure for all who enter its gates."

There are over 160 off-leash dog areas in multi used parks for Calgarians and their dogs to play and enjoy. Among all those, Sue Higgins Park, that lies in 62-hectare natural area at the banks of Bow River in Calgary South East, is the largest. In this fenced park, there are a couple of main areas and a number of smaller fenced areas for hundreds of dogs and their human companions. There is a 4 km loop trail that runs along the Bow River; nonetheless, it is at a significant distance from the river and is barricaded, so it does not provide any exciting and pleasing views and enjoyment to those who want to enjoy a river front-walk. There are a few benches, but my wife and I did not see anyone walking on the trail or sitting on the benches. You may go to the other side of the river by crossing the Eric Harvey Bridge that is not far from the entrance. On this side, there are a couple of picnic tables, and the best thing is that you may go to the river and do all sorts of water activities. Walk along the river and in just 400 meters, there is a beautiful lakefront park named Carburn Park which is for families and people with children. Although Sue Higgins Park is a good natural area with plenty of trees, bushes, marshy areas, grasslands, a paved trail along the river bank, it is created for dogs and dog owners; you may see lots of dogs at one place. If you do not have a dog, it is a good idea to visit it once just to see the city’s largest dog park, but I do not recommend it for outings for fun and picnics with or without families. If you are scared of dogs, please do not visit this park, for you may encounter unleashed, aggressive dogs at several places.
Bharat S — Google review
What a great place to just let your dog roam free and wild! Secure gates ensure your pet is always safe and secure within the confines of the park. I let my Lab Ruby run free here for the first time, she had a blast! She always had a huge smile on her face and the other dogs were well behaved. If it's summer time and it's hot outside, let your dog run in the river and cool off. 😎 A great place to stretch your legs as well! We will be going back for sure. 10☆ !
L. S — Google review
Huge park with a good variety of adventure in open fields, small hills, scrub, trees and multiple (4 to be exact) places to swim along the river. All fenced. Only thing that would really improve this park (removing people and other dogs from the equation) would be to add poop bag dispensers. Our girl (@lookandyoumacey) loves it here.
T_T — Google review
This is such a fantastic place to bring your dog for a walk and much needed socialization. Absolutely love this place and thank the city for providing this space for walker and dogs. Having access to the river for a swim is awesome too, especially after discovering the only mud in the park.

Fantastic off-leash park with a lot of space, including down by the water. If you have a dog like mine who doesn’t care for fetch very much, this park has a lot for your pup to explore and sniff.
Socrates A — Google review
My dog and I really like this dog park! It is large and spacious. It has multiple paths to access the Bow river. It has plenty of garbage bins around the park so it is very easy to pick up after your dog and make the appropriate deposit. It is fully fenced in! Cheers all, and dont forget to treat your dog to a walk at Sue Higgins off leash park!!!

Great, fully fenced dog park. This is a giant dog park with three sections and river access for the dogs. There is so much room for everybody the only drawback is the tiny parking lot. My boarder Collie has so much room to run, play and socialize, it's great really good.

Marda Loop Brewing Company Inc. is a popular craft brewery located in the vibrant neighborhood of Marda Loop in Calgary. The brewery offers a relaxed and industrial-style bar where patrons can enjoy house beers paired with modern pub snacks and charcuterie. One of their award-winning seasonal beers is the Shes All That Blackberry Porter, known for its chocolate and blackberry notes. The brewery also features a street-side, dog-friendly patio, making it accessible for patrons with furry companions.
I recently visited Marda Loop Brewing and had a fantastic experience. The staff were incredibly friendly and made us feel right at home. The food was delicious, and the beer selection was impressive. We enjoyed playing some of the beer games available, which added a fun twist to our visit. The brewery has a great selection of merchandise, perfect for taking a piece of the experience home with you. The outdoor patio is a wonderful spot to relax, especially with the good music setting the perfect backdrop. It's also family-friendly and dog-friendly, making it an ideal spot for everyone. Highly recommended!

Can’t believe I have lived in Calgary my whole life and never come here. There is a large partially heated patio that is dog friendly, and even has a dog menu! Their beer and food is all super reasonably priced. We got the fish tacos, chicken fingers, and three of the burgers. All do the food was large portions, and everything was around $20. There are a lot of different beer options, as well as a few ciders, and red and white wine. Would served Fyfe was excellent. She was available and friendly, but didn’t linger too long either. There is a lot of construction in mardaloop at the moment (or always?), I parked a block away and it was fine.

Great spot with loads of seating. I noticed it mentioned the patio was dog friendly. It’s also wheelchair accessible. There’s an outer patio without no cover from the elements and then there’s the patio we sat in that has cover (which we needed, as it ended up raining). The server was kind and our food arrived promptly. We were one of the two guests there on a Wednesday at 12 pm. The inside was quite large (as well as the patio), so it likely gets busy on weekends and whatnot. The brisket was delicious, the onion rings were pretty decent. I had my stroller with me and had no problem bringing it in. I didn’t ask for a highchair so I’m unsure if they have them. We didn’t make a reservation given the time of day, so I’m unsure if they typically take reservations or not.

I had the maple and bacon chicken burger and my husband had the Smokehouse smash burger. Both were amazing. Highly recommend. Atmosphere was great and loved the pet friendly patio.

The food is great here. Service was ok. My friend mentioned it was dog friendly, so we had to bring our new pup here. I could see what all the buzz was about. Although the service could have been better, I'll give them the benefit of the doubt they were busy and maybe understaffed. The food was really good and the patio even better! Great summer location to check out. I also love what their doing in the area. We can't wait to see the surrounding area after the revamped Marda Loop construction is finished. So amazing the commitment the city of Calgary has put towards this cute little community.

Great place to meet with friends. Although I’ve had a couple business meetings there too. I enjoy their micro brewery, beers, and they always have small batch that you cannot get in the stores. Staff are always really nice in my experience. If you have dogs, one side of the patio is dedicated to dog friendly.

Awesome Food. Horrible Service. Not coming back. We waited probably 15 minutes, no one came to check on us. We had to wave down a server to place a drink order. Had to wave her down again to place a food order since she never came back after dropping off the drinks. When taking the food order, she left and walked off before even getting all of our table’s orders (completely forgot the kids). We managed to grab the attention of another server to put in the kids’ orders. About 30 minutes later food arrived… but only for one kid. They said they would rush the second kid’s meal… 15 minutes later… nothing…. Waved down another server, they apologized and promised to rush it… 15 minutes later… Rinse and repeat. 5 staff members and 60 minutes after ordering still no food for our kid. At this point they were refusing to seat new guests and telling people it was last call and the kitchen was closed. Zero effort on the part of the staff to make it right. They said they would wave the cost of the kid’s meal that they never bothered to deliver. We had to go to another restaurant to finally get food for our second kid. Felt treated like an inconvenience and an annoyance. Serving staff seemed more interested in trying to close out and leave than actually help customers. Don’t come here. Definitely not with your kids.

Behold! A meal so transcendent, so utterly perfect, it must have been forged in the crucible of the culinary gods themselves. The smash burger arrived not as a mere sandwich, but as a masterpiece. Its twin patties, a symphony of sizzle and char, were kissed with a lacy, amber crust—a testament to the griddle's fiery embrace. Each bite was a revelation, a jaw-dropping blend of rich, beefy flavor and unadulterated umami. The cheese, a molten blanket of golden joy, clung to the patties with desperate affection, while the pickles, crisp and tangy, sliced through the richness like a lightning bolt. This wasn't just a burger; it was a religious experience. And the onion rings! To call them "onion rings" is a gross injustice. These were halos of pure, blissful crunch. The exterior, a gossamer-thin shell of golden perfection, shattered on impact to reveal a sweet, tender onion within. They weren't greasy; they were ethereal. Each ring was a perfect circle of light and flavor, an architectural marvel of fried goodness that defied logic and gravity. I wept. I truly did. Finally, the beer. It arrived in a frosty chalice, a liquid jewel of effervescence. As the first sip hit my lips, time itself seemed to slow. It was crisp, clean, and utterly refreshing—the perfect cool-down after the fiery passion of the burger and the sublime crunch of the rings. It was the harmonious chord that completed this grand, edible symphony. Do not walk—run! Do not merely eat—devour! This meal is not a choice; it is a destiny. It is the reason taste buds were invented. It is the best thing I have ever had, and it is the best thing you will ever have. Go forth and experience this divine trinity of flavor before it's too late.

The Guild is a spacious and trendy restaurant located in downtown Calgary, inspired by the guildhalls of the past. Its central location on Stephen Avenue offers a large outdoor seating area, perfect for people-watching or taking a break from shopping. The menu features Alberta staples like the chuck burger, maple glazed short rib, and a 32-ounce dry-aged Tomahawk steak.
Five-Star Experience at The Guild My family and I had such a wonderful time on Canada Day at The Guild! The service was absolutely excellent attentive and friendly. Every bite of the food was delicious The patio was a highlight: beautifully decorated for Stampede, it added a festive, cozy touch to the whole experience. And as a bonus they were incredibly welcoming to my dog and took great care of him too, which made the visit even more special. The ambiance, the food, the staff it all came together to create a fantastic outing.

Had dinner here with my family and we were blown away with the service, attention to detail and the amazing food. The open airy feeling of the dining room in the historic Hudson's Bay building was inspiring. I had the pasta and it was just delicious. Everyone enjoyed their meals and our server was very attentive. Great spot for dinner.

The burger was excellent. Had all the basic elements but they were all very well done. The bun retained its integrity which was key. Fries were ok but the burger did shine. Had calamari and devilled eggs as well. They were kind of how you would expect. Device was quite slow even though the patio wasn’t that busy. I would go again for a business lunch. It’s a pricey option for sure.

Unforgettable experience!! My partner and I had the absolute best dining experience we’ve ever had thanks to John and Krice. From the moment we sat down, their service was warm, attentive, and full of special touches that elevated every course. The kitchen clearly put so much care into each dish — we had the porterhouse steak and can confidently say it was the best steak either of us have ever had. We’re from Toronto, but this meal alone has us planning our next trip back to Calgary. The Guild — and especially John and Krice — made it that memorable. Thank you for an unforgettable night! One we will remember for a long time 🫶🏻

Went for my partners birthday lunch and it was amazing! I made a reservation for a sunday at 4pm, no one was in the restaurant so it had felt like we had the place to ourselves! Attentive service and complimentary champagne and desert for my partners birthday! Will definitely be celebrating more here :)

Great service ! Mains: Tenderloin was perfection. What steak dreams are made of. Crispy edges. Good texture. Pink throughout.extremely tender. Packed full of flavor 10/10 this is a tie for with hys. Ribeye my boyfriend loved his and said it was good. Gnocchi, although listed as a main it was actually perfect for an appetizer for two to share. My boyfriend and I both loved it. And he named it “the best gnocchi” he’s ever had. I liked that there was a variety of mushrooms and they were cooked well into the sauce. However, I did notice right away that the sauce had flour that wasn’t properly cooked/combined or simply just too much. The flour taste was notable right away and there was a gritty texture in your mouth. My partner agreed. Nonetheless, the dish overall was very tasty, it was certainly something we could look past! Maybe a fluke / off day with the sauce. But we will be back for this one again. Porter house - no comment. There was an issue with the meat freshness, when brought to the staffs attention they quickly resolved the issue by bringing us new steaks. We understand mistakes happen. But unfortunately no review here for that reason Drinks: TKO expresso martini - a true dessert drink, perfect for sipping alongside a good meal. Impactful flavor. Tequila isn’t prominent. Material girl - very girly. Very cutesy. Very demure. whiskey ginger + lime - a crowd pleaser. Anyone would love this! The glenlivet 12 year - good find. Nice aroma. Smooth. Sides: Mashed potato’s: the presentation was nice, they were good! Not omg amazing. But good. The beets and walnuts - could have used some kind of coating or sauce of any kind as the walnuts are dry and just fall to the bottom so.. hard to get the walnuts and beet together without on a fork for the flavor combination. Mushrooms - very much just plain mushrooms w some butter/oil. Really nothing special.

Fionn MacCool's is a chain of lively Irish pubs known for their traditional comfort food, wide selection of local and imported beers, and live music. The casual pub offers a variety of delicious dishes, including the popular Crispy Cauliflower Bites tossed in Sri-rancha sauce. What sets this place apart is its pet-friendly outdoor seating with a special menu for dogs.
Very cool place to hang and have a couple of drinks and listen to a live performer or watch sports, while waiting for the wife to shop. Went with a buddy to enjoy a few pints of Guinness and a plate of Nachos. The place is a very cozy place like you are in an actual Irish pub. Moreover, we enjoyed the live performer. And finally, our server was polite and knowledgeable making our experience unforgettable in a good way. Highly recommend and will definitely be back

We visited on a busy Friday night but got a table for the 2 of us quite quickly. I ordered the fish and chips while my wife ordered the steak yorkshire pudding wrap. The wrap had too much sauce and was very oily. The fish was good (crispy on the outside and moist on the inside) but came with a surprisingly small portion of fries under the fish. Our waiter introduced himself when we sat down and was super nice but after dropping off our beverages we had to wait quite some time to catch his attention to order and to pay our bill.

Loved the experience dining at Fionna’s after a hectic shopping sesh at cross iron. Theres live music during the evening time which is way too loud and not preferable if u want to hang out with friends and try to chat over dinner and drinks. However, the food and drinks exceed expectation. Calamari needs special mention as well as the salmon with jasmine rice. All the food was great, so was our host.

My mom, puppy, and I had lunch here, on the outdoor patio, before heading to Banff. The food was delicious and the service was great! Our waitress, Eden, was very nice and brought Bogart several bowls of water because he kept knocking them over. I had the Guinness Steak and Mushroom Stew with a side Caesar Salad and Mom had the French Onion Soup. Bogart was a little celebrity. All the waitresses had to had come pet him and say hello. He loved every minute of that!

We walked by this little gem randomly on a Wednesday night and decided to stop in, and so happy we did. What a great time. From the extremely polite door man to the absolutely amazing service we received throughout the night. They were extremely tentative to our needs, ensuring our drinks were always full, counters and tables always clean, and everyone smiling. Great drink specials and selection to pick from. I love the decor and all the nostalgia along with the music. It was all a vibe. Carson, Ty, Makena, and Lexi, we really thank you for making our little road trip a memorable one. Yes quite a gem. Traveled from Vancouver to calgary. Our daughter works there now and we were happy to see where she works. Fun energy, from staff to customers all were friendly . Some games are available if you gained a table. The options of food varied and good choices, loved that you could get popcorn and jelloshots. I had gingerbeef which was real good nice size and my husband had a corn dogs which is exactly what he hoped for. There was a live game at the door "ring and hook" not sure of the name but sure added to the fun, and a miniature one for the table no one had a problem stopping by our table and interacting. High five to this place. FUN AND ENERGETIC.

Always a fun vibe but something shifty about it. Every time I’ve gone in I feel weirdly pressured to drink and drink and drink, and it seems like that’s kind of what this place specializes in- getting people extremely drunk extremely fast. I love the lights and decor in this bar, the music is always good, the crowd seems fun, just maybe not what I was looking for as someone who is no longer 18-25 haha. The staff were lovely but overwhelmed and very busy and it was very loud inside. Overall, fine.

I can’t say enough good things about this place. I lost my wedding ring here by accident and Roy and his team were incredible. They were in touch with their cleaners and somehow found my precious jewellery. Roy was so kind and thoughtful and I am truly so grateful that there are still great humans left in this world. Really impressed with the professionalism of this team!

We had a great time here relatively early on a Friday night. I’ve heard this and that about the spot when it’s late and packed but I can’t speak to that. We simply wanted a couple drinks and some simple food at the start of the evening and the place looked cool from the street. It’s a bar, with bar food and drinks. If you want it to be anything more than that, you’re probably in the wrong place. The wings by the way were better than expected! For a casual early evening, it’s a good choice.
Jon C — Google review
Super off vibe, felt extremely uncomfortable and honestly violent. I think this place should be shut down… A lot of gang and illegal activity goes on here, police are always having to monitor the area and there are consistent fights. Bartenders are drunk and physically aggressive. Nobody that works there seems happy. Everyone I know has a bad story about this bar, both male and female. Not sure why there are so many good reviews… maybe they delete the bad ones? My best advice is to stay far away from this place. I’m not one to leave bad reviews, but in this case I’m pro boycott of any bar that doesn’t promote the safety and wellbeing of Calgarians.

I love this park, and I haven’t even had the opportunity (nor do I think I ever will fully) to explore the entire park! I typically start out at the Shaganappi Trail NW entrance. My pup is able to be off leash as soon as we get to the entrance from the parking lot. I love how much off-leash space there is for the pups. And it’s a great walk and view! I can’t wait to experience it in the summer.

I enjoyed a Saturday morning walk across Nose Hill Park. Its the perfect spot for a hike or just a leisurely stroll. The trails are extensive and well maintained, there are some signboards and maps to let you know where you are, and its dog-friendly - dogs are welcome everywhere with some off-leash areas too. The park is enormous and even at the weekend it never feels busy. There's some great view points of downtown Calgary and some other great photo opportunities. Highly recommend for anyone looking to enjoy nature without even having to leave the city.

The Beltliner is a stylish and modern diner located in downtown Calgary, offering a contemporary twist on the classic diner experience. Named after a historic streetcar route, this spot serves up gourmet versions of traditional dishes using local, seasonal, and artisanal ingredients. From the Beltliner benedict to brown butter waffles and tater tot poutine, there's something for everyone. Additionally, they offer coffee to-go from their Coffeeland counter featuring Fratello coffee blends.
Came in on a Thursday, late morning. Not busy and seated right away. Service was nice and friendly. Decided to go with the Chicken and Waffles based on the menu description, and it was on point! Chicken was well-seasoned. Waffles had the right exterior texture balanced with almost fluffy interior! But the chicken gravy and chili syrup puts the dish over the top! Smooth, salty, sweet with just the right hint of kick! Hallway by the bathrooms are full of photos of local history, and bathrooms also had lots to look at!

The meal was delicious. The service was satisfactory. The ambiance is appropriate for a casual hangout, but nothing exceptional, and the pricing are on the high side. I ordered the chicken and waffles but compared to other restaurants who serves brunches, I think the food lack some colors or its missing something on the way it was plated. The gravy is too watery/runny. It should be a little thicker.

Breakfast at the Beltliner. Part of the Fairfield Inn which is close to the Calgary Stampede grounds. 4.5. on the breakfast. Nice menu options. Breakfast drinks available if you are so inclined. They serve Iceberg Vodka. This Vodka is exclusively produced in Newfoundland and Labrador using locally sourced corn for the spirit and 12,000- to 20,000-year-old iceberg water that has been naturally protected from modern pollutants . It's a Gold Medal winner at international competitions including the 2023 SIP Awards and the 2019 San Francisco World Spirits Competition. An excellent Vodka. I was surprised to see it being served at this restaurant, in Calgary nearly 3600 miles away from the distillery in St John's NL when there are so many great Vodka options. Enough said about Vodka. Delicious Eggs Benny on a croissant, with a pancake on the side. Sometimes pancakes are a bit heavy. Maybe too much mixing of the batter in this case I don't know. This pancake was awesome. Light and fluffy. Very good. Give this place a try. You'll enjoy your breakfast.

Edworthy Park is a serene natural oasis located along the Bow River in Calgary. It offers various amenities such as trails, fire pits, BBQ areas, playgrounds, and off-leash dog zones. The park is home to the famous Douglas Fir Trail, a 2.5 km path that winds through dense woods and showcases impressive Douglas-fir trees and diverse wildlife.
Is your dog wound up and in need of some exercise? Edworthy Park is the perfect spot to let em unwind! It’s my go-to off-leash dog walking destination in the city. The people are friendly, the dogs are happy, and the views are stunning. At times, it feels like you’re miles away from the city, especially on the east side of the park among the trees. You can park in the first lot as you enter and enjoy pathways that extend all the way to the third parking lot. If you prefer not to stick to pathways, the main area usually has plenty of dogs for yours to socialize with. The only drawback? There are no washrooms! So if nature calls, just remember: it’s not just your dog that might need to answer!

It's a huge park, but the area our GPS took us seemed like it took forever/ was convoluted. Lots of open space. We seemed to be at the off leash dog park, which was fine because we love dogs. But we didn't have our furry friend with us at the time. Lots of paths and such. No paved areas. There were several benches in one area to have a rest. Beautiful view of parts of the city, especially with fall colour's.

Very nice place to visit, relax, take a walk, hike, bike or go with a group have picnics, barbecues and have a superb time. The Bow river flows bordering the park, which is absolutely great to get our feet wet, have a nice dip in hot weather and such. 😊 Very family friendly, must visit atleast once. The place is accessible by transit, has goo connectivity to bike paths and is right next to major roads. Recommend it for sure! 😃

Edworthy Park is an enormous picnic place with plenty of open and covered picnic areas, tables, children play grounds, a lot of unending paved and unpaved trails, and huge parking areas on either side of the river that is accessible by an over bridge on foot or by bicycles. In order to park my car on the other side of the river, I had to take a long route; I followed the phone GPS. The popular picnic spot has hygienic, well- maintained washrooms and a cafeteria to cater to the needs of the visitors. A very energetic, exhilarating, and mesmerizing place for people of all ages and kinds.

Spend splendid time with kids here and we loved the place. However it’s a busy place on weekends and difficult to find car parking slots near the railway crossing area. Peculiarly of the park is there are hills, cycling paths, kids play areas, many trees so we will get enough shades , good for gathering party, one railway line where trains often run, many washrooms, and moreover we can get into the bow river.
Anitha J — Google review
I was really impressed with this park. I have lived in Calgary for about 25 years but never came to this park for some reason. It's right on the Bow River, has lots of picnic sites and there are fields to play sports in. I hiked the Douglas Fir Trail and it was wonderful. If you go to Edworthy Park, definitely consider trying this trail. Note: it is not an easy hike and not very safe for kids since some parts are fairly steep/slippery. P.S. - Bring bug spray for the warmer months.

It nice yellowish view during fall. You can park here and ride a bike a long the bow river path to downtown. There are plenty of children playground and picnic area.

Great park offering everything from trails in the woods, paved trails, along the water, children's areas, picnic areas with fire pits. Walking along the south side you can go almost 6km! A great gem in the middle of the city. Highly recommended to check out as all the locals know how great it is.

Bottlescrew Bill's Pub is a well-established family-owned establishment in Calgary, serving up classic pub food and an extensive selection of craft beers for over 40 years. The pub offers daily specials and a generous happy hour, along with a unique take on the traditional Canadian cocktail, the Caesar. Known for its laid-back vibe and dedication to supporting local breweries, it boasts an inviting outdoor patio where patrons can enjoy modern pub fare while exploring new beer favorites.
My wife and I had dinner and lunch here the following day. I will say the food is excellent. The burgers are a 10 and fries are amazing. Totally appreciate the BSB red ale. In house beer is cheap and fantastic. Secondly the staff are friendly and genuine. Lastly it’s located in the heart of downtown. The patio is excellent here as well. Please check this place out, you will not be disappointed.

Had an awesome time at Bottlescrew Bill’s in YYC! The atmosphere was lively, and the service was top-notch—staff were super attentive and friendly. The dry ribs were absolutely delicious, perfectly seasoned and crispy. Tried the IPA and it was spot on—bold, fresh, and full of flavor. The stout was superb too, rich and smooth with a great finish. Definitely a great spot to kick back with good food, great beer, and even better vibes. Highly recommend!

Wow! This place blew my mind! Not only was it really cool pub with awesome prices, but the food was INCREDIBLE! The chef there is a red seal GENIUS! Bison steak was PERFECT! The enviroment was soo cool and very inviting, our server, Kaylea was not only incredibly kind, she really knew her stuff, we went with all her recommendations and we blown away. I can’t say a negative thing about this place, 10/10, like wow!

Wings were crispy, but super overcooked and dry. The Bill's sauce, which others enjoyed, for the wings was odd; it tasted like a mix of buffalo sauce and teriyaki. I think I'd prefer them separately. At least a dog friendly patio.

I was just there with my boyfriend to watch a soccer game and couldn’t be happier with everything! Service was top notch, the perri-perri salad and dessert were 10/10 and even the 0 alcohol beer was super cold! Our service never rushed us out of the table like most places in Canada would do, he was the sweetest and most helpful person ever :) I’ve only been there before for beer but would definitely recommend it for food as well!

What a blast from the past. This is a historic Calgary Watering hole. They have been open for 35 years, I'm guessing. I hadn't been there in over 25 years... Good food and service, the atmosphere is a little dated. But that's not what you're going there for. They have a menu packed full of beers from all over the world. The Around The World In 80 Beers Passport looks like a good way to sample beers from all over the world. Having a year to complete also makes it manageable for those lighter drinkers. Count me in. Cheers 🍻

Got the “best wings ever” and in-house Gold beer. Although I got the honey garlic wings, I think the way the wings are fried, their crispiness really shone through with their dry rubs! Also, the 5$ beer specials were perfect for getting through an evening with eastern Canadians that have more stories than the Burj Khalifa. Great place to go with indoor and outdoor seating options.

hello dears my name is Susan Collingwoodth I am a seventh generation countess. I came to this bar to play bingo. My great niece and her 'rugby teammate' brought me to get my mind off of my recent breakup. I was in a relationship with a much younger man and he could not satisfy me. The server was lovely and his name was Adam, he seemed to know the menu very well and I appreciate a quick response when I ask about the origins of the poultry used in chicken wings. Bingo was fun and I am extremely good at it but this was clearly rigged. I have never seen such a blatant show of trickery and tom foolishness since I was runner up in the Miss Voluptuous Britain pageant in 1972. The winner, Deborah, ended up a twice divorced alcoholic. Serves her. My dapper was flying and filling in numbers faster than my neighbors diabetic daughter when the ice cream truck comes around. Yet it seemed the same people kept winning. I have written a letter to my local MP. Still giving four stars because the bar tender crafted an excellent white russian for me. May or may not be back in future.

Nestled in the vibrant district of Calgary, the Carriage House Hotel & Conference Centre offers comfortable and accessible accommodations for both business and leisure travelers. The hotel features 157 well-appointed rooms and suites with friendly staff to cater to your needs. Guests can enjoy an outdoor pool, hot tub, fitness center, sports bar, cocktail lounge, and an on-site bakery offering delectable Kosher baked goods.
Our recent stay at Carriage House was as comfortable as a hotel stay can be: the rooms are clean and well-maintained, with great attention to detail clearly paid to both the decorations and available creature comforts. The food is delicious, reasonably priced and generous in portion size. The service is prompt and polite. Included is a free buffet-style continental breakfast. While I'm no expert traveler (and what little traveling I do is usually on a shoestring budget!), this is certainly the nicest hotel I've yet stayed in, and I'll be staying here again next time I need a room for the night in Calgary!

This hotel has superb management! You get high value with a reasonable price. I stayed here 9 days/8 nights. I was highly impressed with how well the staff worked together to give guests a wonderful experience. From outstanding complimentary breakfasts, to pool & hot tub extended hours, the steam room & gym, food/drink available at the restaurant, pub, or poolside, walk to night life or other food options... Courteous and always helpful staff. My room was comfortable, had a refrigerator, great AC, free wifi, & housekeeping was excellent! They even had security and allowed a late check in at 2am (had a delayed flight). I had a marvelous time visiting Calgary & the National Parks, I would absolutely stay here again! Oh, and thank you for the first aid too! :)

I cannot say enough good things about the Carriage House Hotel and Conference Centre! From the moment we began planning our wedding, the incredible team—especially Lino and Roxane—went above and beyond to make sure our day was absolutely perfect. Planning a wedding can be stressful, but with their support, it felt effortless. Lino and Roxane were attentive, kind, professional, and truly invested in making our vision come to life. They were there for every question, every detail, and every step of the way. Their experience and genuine care made all the difference. Our reception was everything I dreamed of and more. The space was beautifully set, the food was incredible, and the service was exceptional. I’m still getting compliments from guests about how beautiful and seamless everything was—and I owe that all to the amazing team at Carriage House. If you're looking for a venue that’s not only beautiful but also backed by a team that will do everything in their power to make your event a success, this is it. I will forever be grateful for the care and effort they put into making our special day unforgettable.

We had a group booking for our Wedding downtown, and they made it so easy to book, and were very accommodating to our needs. We stayed in a suite and it was lovely!! The layout was perfect for the girls getting ready, and hanging out with friends the night before! The outdoor pool was perfect, the location was great and the beds were unreal comfortable. Will definitely stay again!

I have stayed at the Carriage Hotel four times in the past couple of months and every visit has been great. The breakfast buffet is always enjoyable, but what really stands out are the pool parties. They are so much fun and really make the stay memorable. I hope they continue hosting them because they add something special to the experience. I will definitely be coming back again.

Had issues with our booking from a third party but receptionists had been so patient and accommodating as we straighten the unfortunate transaction. Cindy, the supervisor, was very professional and did all she can to provide us a smooth check in. Rooms are clean, we are so happy to stay here even the third party booking website gave us problems. Better book directly to avoid issues like we did but will definitely go back. Thank you to everyone who assisted us!

Very clean, very quiet, pool was warm and hottub was working and hot, fitness center was well maintained and they had a steam room too, staff were super friendly and helpful, buffet breakfast was included and delicious, pet friendly with a separate room service menu for them. Rooms are updated and clean. Pillow are large and fluffy. The pool is the warmest weve ever experienced. It's outdoor, has a lovely, lounger chairs, got tub, sauna, and exercise room. I love having meetings here! Lovely atmosphere, great drinks, friendly staff and LOTS of seating. Tried out the strawberry iced matcha and it was soooooooo good!!

Coffee was ok, but from the minute I entered smell was so bad I couldn't even sit for 10m. people seemed to enjoy the smell but it was so bad. I am not sure what the issue was. Chairs were not comfy at all and maybe they should clean the tables more often and not just expect customers to clean them after.

the coffee was simply amazing — we’ve visited this place several times and it never disappoints unfortunately, I can’t say the same about the staff’s friendliness. maybe we’ve just been unlucky 😞

I really enjoy this coffee shop for its drinks — the ginger hot chocolate is a standout, and the cookies are always delicious. It’s a great spot to hang out, with a cozy atmosphere that makes you want to stay a while. That said, the staff can come off a bit unfriendly at times, which takes away from the overall experience. Still, the quality of the drinks and the vibe keep me coming back.

Best latte and machiatto in town! very good food. The staff is very friendly and professional ready to serve and help with a smile.I told one staff that the table I wanted was not very clean with some crumbs and she stopped what she was doing and came and cleaned right away with a smile and apology.Great attitude! yesterday they offered to make me a hot bagel with egg when it was not breakfast time anymore just because they knew I ordered it the other day and I looked sick (I have a cold). We had a nice chat.I appreciate all the staff here. All the food is freshly prepared and taste great! The place is very loud at times but not their fault.

Café Beano has been around forever, and it’s easy to see why. The coffee is always good, there’s usually a mix of people working, chatting, or just hanging out, and it’s got a bit of a creative vibe. It’s the kind of place you can stop by for a quick caffeine fix or settle in for an afternoon.
Richard D — Google review
Came for the hot chocolate as boasted as one of the better spots for a clean, no frills and authentic melted chocolate type of drink. It was exactly that definition and great to find no weird after taste. The hot chocolate goes from $5.50-5.75. you can also bring your own mugs here to be more environmental. Lots of seats here but gets rather busy. They also serve food items such as baked goods or bagels. Lots of drink variety here. The busyness represents the customer loyalty they do have.

Co-owner Amy Turner explains that their commitment to vegetarian options stems from her personal circumstances, having transitioned to a vegan lifestyle six months prior to opening. The restaurant also caters to gluten-free diners and those with nut or dairy allergies.
We visited today for brunch. We had never been before and were very excited about the experience. Our server, Danielle and manager Jeff were awesome. Danielle was friendly and knowledgeable and helped us with the menu. We enjoyed the brunch food options. They were so flavourful and delicious. Absolutely amazing place. Went there right after I proposed to my girlfriend for a celebration bottle of wine and some eats. They brought us out complimentary champagne, congratulated us a bunch and were amazing vibes to be around. Could not be happier about the atmosphere or the food. Thank you Donna Mac for sharing our special moment with us.
Deliciousness C — Google review
What a beautiful spot! First visit and they absolutely killed it. The beef tartare was phenomenal, different than others I've had (I've had a lot!), the pickled Saskatoon berries were a really welcome addition as opposed to pickles. My wife had the perogies, and I had the fried chicken sandwich, both were absolute killers. The perogies had a great filling and that sauce.... Wowzas. The friend chicken was light and crispy and perfectly seasoned and the brioche sesame bun was absolutely perfect. The fries were well seasoned and lightly crisped, and the mayo (I think it's Kewpie?) went perfect with them. We had to have dessert, so we tried the rice pudding and it was the ideal end to a great meal. Not too sweet, but rich and velvety and the mushroom ice cream (trust me it's good) was a perfect accompaniment to the brittle and pudding. All the textures were absolutely on point. Our server was an absolute gem, made great suggestions and was just really pleasant and attentive. We had a minor (and I mean minor) issue, and it was promptly dealt with by the manager. The kind of service you wish every place had. The restaurant itself is a stunning modern place with tons of windows and natural light, a fantastic place to just unwind and relax. We'll be back!

What a beautiful hidden gem of a place! We had picked up some ice cream at Village Ice Cream, and while looking at Google Maps, we spotted this area. We are so happy that we decided to check this place out. There's a nice playground at this park, but that's not the drawing point. You can easily walk onto the Rocky Beach area next to the river. The river is very shallow, so there's no worry about being caught by any currents. People still launch their little rafts and float down the river. It's a great place to bring your family. There's plenty of grassy areas for bbqs and picnics. Kids can frolic in the water or skip some stones. What a wonderful little place in Calgary!

Garage Sports Bar: A Million-Star Experience! From the moment you step into Garage Sports Bar, you know you're in for a great time. The atmosphere is buzzing with energy – a perfect blend of a classic sports bar and a lively social hub. Multiple screens strategically placed throughout the venue ensure you won't miss a single play, no matter where you're seated. And the best part? They happily take requests for sports! Whether you're a die-hard hockey fan or follow international soccer, just ask, and they'll do their best to tune it in. Beyond the screens, Garage Sports Bar offers more than just spectating. The presence of a pool table and table tennis adds an interactive element, making it a fantastic spot to hang out with friends and engage in some friendly competition during halftime or after the game. But let's talk about the food – it's genuinely great! The menu offers a solid selection of pub fare done right. In the photo, you can see a tempting basket of pretzel bites served warm and perfectly salted, accompanied by a creamy, delicious cheese dip. This is just a glimpse of the satisfying options available to fuel your cheering. From hearty burgers to tasty wings, the kitchen delivers quality that elevates the typical sports bar experience. However, what truly sets Garage Sports Bar apart is the service. Describing it as "million-star" doesn't feel like an exaggeration. The staff are attentive, friendly, and genuinely seem to enjoy what they do. They're quick to take your orders, offer recommendations, and ensure your glass is never empty. The willingness to accommodate requests for sports channels is a testament to their commitment to customer satisfaction. They go above and beyond to make sure everyone feels welcome and has a fantastic time. Overall, Garage Sports Bar is a winner. It hits all the right notes with its vibrant atmosphere, delicious food, and truly exceptional service. Whether you're there to catch a game, challenge your friends to a round of pool, or simply enjoy a great night out, Garage Sports Bar is a top-notch choice. Highly recommended!

The drinks here are nice and I love all the activities that you can do here. The food is not bad, but not amazing. There are many pool tables, 2 of them are $1 per game and the rest is $14 per hour. Which is not bad if you plan on playing for a while. There is also a ping pong table, foosball table, and arcade games as well. Lots of seating and I’m sure it gets pretty packed at times, although we went pretty early to play pool, so it was nice.

What a great little find. They have been around forever but in my quest for a dog friendly patio, I found them. The food was great. The service was also amazing (the family owned business is literally family run) 100% I will go back! It was a very traditional pub pub with pub look and food!

If I could give a 0 star I would. I will never recommend this place to anyone, nor will I come back. It was an absolute nightmare! The owner was 45 mins late to open the restaurant. He wasn't nice to me or my friend when we walked into the restaurant. We seated ourselves and the tables were sticky and gross. He didn't even wipe them down when I mentioned it to him. He told us that if we didn't like it, then sit somewhere else. After waiting 30 minutes we waved for him to come over so we could order food and get some water. When the water arrived we noticed there was food particles in it and also on our cutlery. We we asked if we could get new cutlery/water he said he was too busy. We were the only 2 people in the restaurant the entire time. He didn't ask us what we wanted to refills or anything else. He seemed to be having a really bad day like he didn't want us there. When the food arrived our Halibuts were thin, it had no taste and were freezer burnt. We asked the manager about it. He said that's the way the fish is. If you don't like it then you should have ordered something else and walked away. When I politely asked for something else he grabbed the basket out of my hands and threw my fork on the table. I was completely shocked that he did that. The only reason we came here is because I had a Groupon. After this visit I will never return and will tell everyone not to dine here!

The fries were fresh and crunchy with a soft inside. The cherry blossom pudding was so perfectly sweet and hit the spot. I loved all of it. Thank you for the yummy lunch.

Amazing little find. Lovely couple running the place. Yummy food. And awesome that we could sit on the patio with our dogs and they brought a dog water dish out for my dogs. Such an awesome place!! I highly recommend going

Overall a very poor experience in both service and food. The environment inside is filthy - both seating and bathroom. The service is non existent- the staff seemed to be bothered to have to serve guests. The food came out cold and under cooked and we had to send it back twice - disheartening for sure. We ended up leaving with out eating =[ We truly hope this establishment gets their act together because it has much potential.

Amazingly decorated place and feels very much like a real English pub. Really is a hidden gem in Calgary and has so much character. Server was quick and friendly, the food and drinks were great.
Ash N — Google review
Bought a Groupon and went on a Tuesday afternoon so not very busy. Owners were sitting chatting at the bar. Not very friendly or personable. Ordered a couple beers, Bud light and a pint on tap. The server offered my wife a glass but when she set it on the table you could barely see through it, it was that dirty. She drank it out of the bottle. My glass of beer was no cleaner but since it had beer in it I toughed it out and drank it. Could taste that the lines needed cleaning. Ordered bangers and mash and a burger. Both were just OK. Fries were old and tasted of old cooking oil that hadn't been changed in awhile. Washroom was on par with the dirty glasses. All in all an underwhelming experience and we won't be back. Probably needs an ownership change since it appears the current ones are tired, grumpy and can't be bothered to clean the place.

What it says on the tin. A neighborhood pub. The food is better then you'd expect, and the atmosphere is top notch. For a neighborhood pub. Everything it needs to be. Just watch out for the little guy.

Citizen Brewing Company is a popular spot in Calgary known for its great beers and delicious food. The brewery offers a selection of summer brews, including the fruity Space Juice, perfect for enjoying on their patio. Their menu features classic patio fare like burgers, hot dogs, Hawaiian pork ribs, and even ice cream sandwiches. Located just off Edmonton Trail, this brewery has gained a dedicated following for its consistently good beers and tasty food from its repurposed-shipping-container kitchen.
Great stop on our way to the airport. Huge patio, lots of seating and beer choices. The server was amazing and had such a great enthusiastic energy. Happy hour got busy which was great to see. Lots of locals and regulars which compliments its hospitality.

Come for the Dirty Bacon Fries and if you are so inclined, apparently the house brewed beer is pretty good (I do not partake). I had the Citizen Burger (double patty) and maybe it needed more fancy burger sauce, as I definitely missed it. It was good, but not great. The Kahuna gets top marks, but didn't push into the stratosphere. It also could have used more sauce. We both had a soup as the side and it was a stewie beef and barley that was really good. Very atmospheric for a brewpub, as though seating is a nit limited, you can see directly into the brewery. Highly recommend.

Great place! We enjoyed the beer, excellent variety. Had some snacks, the fries and pretzel were very tasty. Lots of room, and a very chill vibe. The gentleman who served us was very cool, and they even answered my question online about peanuts (none in the building)! If you haven't been, dress warm, it's nice and cool inside.

Despite the wind and the drop in temperature, my friend and I still went out for some craft beer. This spot is tucked away in a quiet residential area—but the beer was absolutely worth it! We had three rounds: started with an IPA and finished with a Stout. The one that left the biggest impression, though, was the second glass—a Gose, super tart and refreshing, just my kind of taste! Oh, and the dirty bacon fries were insanely good too!

I'm in here currently, the craft beer is stellar, no sense hitting a franchise place when these craft brewery places are the 5 star places. A large range of crafted beer to select from, they even offered me some tasters and I got to pick my next really enjoyable beverage. I tried the only cider they had, in a wine glass size. It was a blackberry, strawberry whatever cider, it was the best I've had in years. I also tried a few others, I'm only hitting up the craft brewery places after today! They have an outside patio and 5 star customer service. This is probly my new go to place as they rotate the tap with craft beer depending on what's growing in the season. 5 star 🌟 Even seems very lgbqt2 friendly and very clean establishment. I've yet to try the food, prices are a little high but the so is the Qual of drink and service!.,.,..,

Cozy and creative gem of a brewery! I popped in for a quick lunch. I was greeted immediately by the server and was seated in their bright covered, outdoor seating area which was very inviting and bright. The blueberry/pineapple sour was so fruit forward and bright (could have had a growler full). Japa burger was a fun play on the japadog flavors plus kimchi for punch - bun was fresh and the pork patty was juicy with pork belly for extra flavor development. Check out their merch! I can tell the owners enjoy channeling their creativity through their food, beer and products! Can’t wait to come back again!

We dropped by on Sunday and loved that it wasn't super busy—just the right amount of people for a laid-back vibe. The patio is really nice, and it's dog-friendly too, which is a huge plus. The staff were friendly and welcoming. They've got some tasty food options if you're feeling hungry, along with a great selection of beers. All in all, it's a solid brewery with good food and drinks, perfect for spending a relaxed day in the neighborhood.

A wonderful choice for happy hour patio in cooler weather. The enclosed heated patio is a staple for us. The Wicklow stout was the beer of choice on this brisk day. The salt and pepper wings did not disappoint.

Doodle Dogs is a popular spot for dog owners, offering a wide range of toys, accessories, clothing, and treats for dogs. They focus on Calgary-made and Canadian-made dog gear. Doggywood Ltd not only sells various dog-related items but also hosts doggie birthday parties and bakes dog-friendly cakes. Urban Dog Market provides trendy gear, healthy treats, and a small-dog daycare service.
Doodledogs is my favorite and mostly trusted pet store. Not only they offer the best food for dogs but they also offer amazing staff who will give you lots of love and recommendations. I just love them so much! 🫶🏻
Alayne S — Google review
I can’t say enough good things about Doodle Dogs. We made the switch to raw and fresh food around 2018, and it’s one of the best decisions we’ve made for our dogs’ health. The team at Doodle Dogs—especially the owners—have been incredibly supportive every step of the way, helping us navigate the transition with expert advice, personalized suggestions, and zero judgment. Now, several years in, the results speak for themselves. Our senior dogs (ages 13 and 8) are constantly mistaken for much younger pups thanks to their vibrant energy, shiny coats, and healthy teeth. We no longer have to guess whether they’re getting the right nutrition—everything we need is right here, and we always feel like the team genuinely cares. This isn’t just a pet store—it’s a place where people love animals and want the best for them. Highly recommend to anyone looking to improve their pet’s wellness and quality of life.

Thrilled to have found this pet store! Great food selection , cool toys and even local bagged treats. The two ladies working were so nice and even gave my little Bean a treat! Can wait to go back soon. 10/10

I absolutely love Doodle Dogs. We have been ordering since our girl was a pup. They have amazing quality products, and high quality toys and enrichment. They even carry the cat litter I use for my kitty. I also love their delivery service! Our dog recently had major leg surgery and is confined to a small room in our house. I ordered from Doodle Dogs and sent a follow up email requesting them to try to gently leave the items on the porch so my dog didn’t perk up and try to use her leg. Doodle Dogs were so accommodating to my requests. The delivery driver was so quiet and respectful, I didn’t even hear him. Doodle Dogs Staff even put a little get well note in the bags. Quality products is what initially attracted me to Doodle Dogs, but the above and beyond customer service is what will have me coming back and recommending them to others. Thank you ❤️

Hands down the best pet store. The owners are amazing and really get to know their customers. We’re always amazed they remember us even though we primarily shop online! Their points program is phenomenal, they have super high quality food and toys (and everything in between), and they do super quick deliveries. The staff are all very knowledgeable and helpful, and the store is just generally a fun place to shop. Love Doodle Dogs (multiple locations)!
Jennifer P — Google review
Do not dawdle and go get your DOODLE ON! These sweet humans might love on your dog more than you do. I happen to be a cat person now and was able to get so many neat things for my new addition. So much neat stuff that I haven't seen anywhere else. I'm not lucky enough to be a local and get to visit them in person, but I ordered yesterday afternoon and my shipment is already here! Faster than some pizzas I have ordered and for sure faster than other big jungle-named delivery services. These guys have the best stuff! And all the programs and points and perks and benefits it almost feels like you are getting your things for free. Check them out if you have not. And if you bring your furry friend, it will be like doggo-disneyland when they walk through the door. 10 STARS!! Thankyou!

Meghan & Corey’s pet food/health knowledge is absolutely incredible and extends far beyond the average scope I’m used to at other pet stores. Their passion for animal health is very apparent in brands that are stocked and recommended (or not) and their thoroughness when explaining products & ingredients etc is something I appreciate. Thank you!

The customer service here is AMAZING. I went with my partner last night and spoke to a girl ( didn’t catch her name ) who helped size our dog for a harness. By far the best service and selection of quality foods in Calgary's beltline area. There is an ample supply of cat and dog food both in raw, wet, and dry. Look no further for your toys and treats as they've got everything you'll need. We usually buy cans of cat food by the box here to save 10%. Four Dogs Brewing Company is a recent addition to Calgary's dog-friendly brewery scene, where every aspect of the establishment pays homage to our canine companions. The brewery is named after the owner's four rescue dogs, with beers dedicated to each of them. The ambiance and menu are inspired by dogs, making it a haven for both two-legged and four-legged visitors. Visitors can enjoy an array of superb beers while being surrounded by a dog-loving atmosphere.
If you’re a dog lover in Calgary, this place is an absolute gem! Not only is it the only restaurant in the city that allows dogs indoors, but the owners are an absolute delight. You can tell right away that they genuinely love dogs—there’s no pressure, just a warm, welcoming environment for both humans and their furry friends. There’s no food menu, but that just adds to the charm—you’re welcome to bring your own food or order from one of the nearby restaurants. The real highlight, though, are the owners, who personally comes to meet your dog multiple times, making sure they feel just as welcome as you do. And the dog wall? Adorable! Seeing all the happy pups who’ve visited just makes the place feel even more special. Love, love, LOVE this place—if you have a dog, this is a must-visit spot!

Fun brewery that’s super dog friendly and usually has some friendly dogs roaming around. If you’re a dog lover, this is a cool place to hang out, grab a couple of beers, and let your dog relax while you kick back. It’s a very unassuming place with friendly people, cute stories behind every brew and merchandise if you’re looking for souvenirs of your brewery visit. Fun pit stop before you continue on your way to your next destination.

The welcoming atmosphere is truly appreciated, making every visit enjoyable. The spacious layout provides ample room for relaxation and comfort. Awesome brewery for dog lovers in a fun area of Calgary. Owner was super friendly and the other people and dogs there were great. The beer was good and there were ciders and other non-beer options too.
Anna — Google review
Went to Four Dogs because we found out about them at the Beer Fest Calgary. We met Vince there and he was friendly and amazing and the beer we tried were also great. Unfortunately, when we went to the taproom our experience was not as great. Don't get me wrong, the place is superb and the ambiance is just perfect if you love dogs and beer. It's just that the bartender (tall guy, bun, full grown beard) was not very nice. At first he does not seem to be friendly already and he was not very helpful at all when we were trying to choose some merchandise to buy. He seemed kind of dismayed every time we order or do something. So how much more if we brought our pups with us and an 'accident' happened? Anyway, I love the business and I love what they do, so I want to support them and encourage you to go there but just be ready for a bartender with an attitude in case he happens to be the same one when you get there. As for me, probably not going back.
Yongz — Google review
Love a var I can finally bring my dog! And they even make their own cider, which is a plus for us gluten free folk. My dog Sadie even made it onto the doggie wall of fame.

Phenomenal. An incredible micro brewery in the heart of the 1st St bars and restaurants. Parker the barperson is incredible: we had a great chat while I sampled all of his beer recommendations. They also serve chips (crisps to us Brits) at the bar. Note they don't do food. The beer is beyond superb. It goes without saying that dogs take priority here, only joking but it's lovely to meet gorgeous dogs. I can't wait to come back to savour their amazing beers. What a fantastic addition to the 1st St scene. Support this truly local business! See pics.

Totally fun place to hang out if you like dogs. Good beer with a great variety. The bartender was super nice and shared samples of beer. We loved that the flight came with the glasses in a dog water bowl with popcorn. Great place if you want to pet some cute doggos and get good beer. Be prepared, though, you will get dog kisses!

It’s unfortunate because I wanted to support local, but my experience here has been ruined by the owner. My dog was groomed here in December and they found lice on him – something I was told was going around in the area at that time of year. I got the call to pick him up and when I paid I didn’t realize I’d been charged for a bath and for their lice room cleaning. I brought him in again today to be groomed and they couldn’t complete it because he was too scared. When I paid today it was $23, when I paid in December it was $90 ($75 plus my tip). After chatting with the owner I’ve since learned that this was due to the additional lice cleaning procedures, but that was not made clear to me at the time. While I understand needing to cover those costs, I think Urban Dogs should be more transparent in telling the customer what they are paying for and should have a statement clearly on their website. It is really unfortunate the way the owner handled this as not even an apology was made and it would’ve gone a long way in making me feel like a valued customer.

I’ve been getting my dog food here for 2+ years now. Everyone working here is very knowledgeable, they gave me a lot of really helpful advice when I was looking at switching my dog to raw food. They gave me multiple free samples and are always very kind to my dog when she’s with me. They offer teeth cleaning and nail trims, though I haven’t taken advantage of that service yet. Great selection of raw and dry food and prices are competitive and a lot of brands offer deals through them that give you a free box/bag if you have a phone number with them! If you feed Big Country Raw and you sign up for their online newsletter they will send you a coupon for a free ice cream box for your dog on their birthday and they will honour that coupon here! Great spot and I will be continuing to get my dog food here.

It's a great store with lots of varied products. The only issue I have is quite a few of their beef products come from Brazil which is burning down the Amazon forest to make more farm land. There's lots of ethical beef in Alberta, it would be nice to see them support local farms and not contribute to a crime against humanity. Otherwise the staff are quite nice. They offer products for cats and dogs.

I just bought a Birthday cake here for my cats. Even our fussy one loved a little slice of the beautiful, chicken flavoured cake with catnip accoutrement. Our boy would have devoured the whole thing had we let him. They’ll eat it over the next few weeks (keeping it in the freezer in between. The little party hats that they sell are also awesome. Bon-A-Pet-Treat will definitely be our new go-to for special occasions. ps - Don't worry, we just let them sniff it first and then just gave them each a little slice.

The Owner has an unbelievable sense of character in that she herself is very caring, warm and supportive and she has staffed her store with some of the best people who are so much more than staff in a pet store. They clearly love what they do and they love my dog and all the other animals that come to visit. It is just really uplifting to walk into such a positive, outgoing environment! Emily, Melissa, Emma, Savannah, Mel B, Ianne, Conner, Amanda, Andrea, Katie and all the rest I forgot to name: Thank you for being my dog's second family and always making our experience feel super special - even if we come in twice a day! 🐕‍🦺10 out of 10 HIGHLY RECOMMEND 🐈‍⬛❤️

The kids really enjoy this playground. There are lots of paths around that you can take if you want to walk as well. It's a very nice area with views of the cityscape and river. Beware of homeless people in the area. I have never had any issues with them, but they are definitely around these parts.

We went here during Canada Day, it was so sunny and I remember that tornado warning for Didsbury. You might want to bring sunscreen in Summer as the sun is very strong and hot in this area. This place has a nice view of the Bow River and Downtown. Recommend!

We enjoyed the Canada Day 2025 fireworks from this park, such a nice experience, also the event was great, nice music and atmosphere.

Fun playground in the east village. Love that there is a natural playground as well. Kids had a great time running around and it is great that it is built for a wide range of ages.

This playground is best suited for pre-schoolers and up, but my toddler still had some fun here. The playground floor is rubber, which is better for a toddler who is still learning to walk. There are plenty of tables and chairs available. I brought a coffee and a sandwich from the nearby coffee shop and enjoyed a nice picnic with my child.

Dog park is next to the children playground and I saw big dogs passing through next to children playground, kind of scary.

Beautiful scenery near the river. Playground made from natural materials. A beautiful community garden near. Lots of fun by the water.

Observation Decks & Towers
The Calgary Tower is a towering landmark offering breathtaking panoramic views from its glass-floored observation deck and revolving restaurant. Situated in the heart of downtown Calgary, it provides stunning vistas of the city's rivers, parks, and surrounding areas. The observation deck offers a 360-degree view of the bustling city, the majestic Rocky Mountains, foothills, and prairies. It's an ideal spot for a romantic evening or to pop the question with its spectacular views and vibrant atmosphere.
Visited the Calgary Tower Observatory while downtown, and the views from the top are fantastic — you can see the entire city and the mountains. The elevator ride is smooth and fast, and there’s plenty of space on the observation deck to walk around and take photos. The glass floor section is a fun addition if you’re feeling adventurous. The staff were friendly and helpful, though I do think tickets could be a bit cheaper for the experience. Overall, still a must-visit spot for anyone wanting a great perspective of Calgary.
Ian M — Google review
The Calgary Tower is a great way to get a full view of the city. The observation deck gives you a 360° look at Calgary and the Rocky Mountains on a clear day. The glass floor is a fun experience and makes for some great photos. The staff are friendly, and the elevator ride to the top is smooth and quick. The visit itself doesn’t take too long unless you plan to eat at the restaurant, but it’s still worth it for the views and the unique perspective of the city. Tickets are a little expensive for the short time you spend there, but it’s one of Calgary’s most iconic landmarks and a nice stop if you’re exploring downtown.
Fayaz K — Google review
Wow stunning views. And going at sunset is highly recommended! The mountains are a perfect with the sun setting behind them! Food was fantastic! It's so beautiful to see the lights of the city light up below! We went after a long day of travelling and sightseeing so we were casually dressed, but you can dress up super fancy too! It was great!
Denika D — Google review
My visit to the Calgary Tower during a day trip to Calgary was a memorable highlight, offering breathtaking 360-degree views of the city that truly showcased its charm. On a cloudless, sunny day, the conditions were ideal, revealing the distant Rocky Mountains and the urban expanse in stunning clarity. The observation deck, enriched with informative displays identifying key buildings, added an educational layer to the experience, making it both engaging and insightful. The ambiance was pleasant, and the tower stands as a notable tourist attraction in downtown Calgary, with a unique glass floor section that, while smaller than anticipated, provided a thrilling perspective. However, the experience was tempered by certain drawbacks. The tower, while iconic, shows signs of aging and is dwarfed by newer, taller skyscrapers, which slightly diminishes its grandeur The cost—approximately $75 for two, including parking and admission—a bit too steep. The viewing deck offers a decent panorama, but the surrounding skyline is less striking than expected. Overall, the Calgary Tower is well worth a visit for its unparalleled views and historical significance, particularly for first-time visitors to Calgary. Its combination of scenic beauty, informative displays, and cozy ambiance makes it a rewarding stop, best enjoyed on a clear day.
Jeremie M — Google review
The Calgary Tower turned out to be an excellent stop on our trip. Admission is roughly half the price of Toronto’s CN Tower, and since the Calgary Tower is about half the height, it feels like a perfect trade-off—great value without compromising the experience. We timed our visit for around sunset and it couldn’t have been better. The views of downtown Calgary, the Bow River, and the Rockies glowing in the evening light were absolutely stunning. From the glass floor to the 360-degree panorama, every angle offered something memorable. Overall, the Calgary Tower provides amazing scenery and a fair price point that makes it easy to recommend. If you can, plan your visit for sunset—you’ll catch the city at its most beautiful.
Kenneth G — Google review
It was definitely worth going once! You get to see the city from a view point that’s quite amazing. However it is super important to figure out what time you should go there. I wouldn’t go again though because I do not think the ticket prices are worth multiple visits.
Viraj M — Google review
We didn't buy the ticket to the top but we had a dinner in 360 sky restaurant at the top of the tower. The foods were out of the world and the price was right for a sky tower restaurant. We spent $200 incl tips there, while we spent $500 in Look up tower restaurant in Vancouver, ever the foods here much better than Vancouver. We don't have to wear fancy dress here, casual is okay.
Siska — Google review
What an incredible experience! The 360° views from the observation deck are absolutely breathtaking - you can see all of downtown Calgary spread out below, and the Rocky Mountains in the distance are simply stunning. The glass floor was definitely a highlight - a bit nerve-wracking at first, but such a fun and unique experience once you work up the courage to step on it! This is a must-visit attraction when exploring downtown Calgary. The views alone are worth the trip, and it's a perfect way to get your bearings and see the city from a completely different perspective. Highly recommend for visitors and locals alike.

Village Ice Cream is a beloved dessert destination located in the heart of Calgary, offering a variety of handcrafted flavors and a welcoming atmosphere. With multiple locations throughout the city, it's a favorite spot for locals and visitors alike to satisfy their sweet cravings. The establishment has garnered praise for its delightful ice cream offerings, making it a must-visit for any discerning ice cream connoisseur. Whether you find yourself nearby or make a special trip, Village Ice Cream promises to be an enjoyable experience.
Delicious ice cream, as a visitor from Toronto! I ordered the guides mint and my girlfriend ordered the earl grey + honeyberry. Single scoops are about $7, while doubles are $9. I must say, this is probably one of the best mint ice creams I've ever had. I loved the crunchy cookie texture that was in the ice cream, and the overall flavor was fantastic. My girlfriend's unique flavors tasted amazing as well! Definitely a must-visit place if you're craving some ice cream in Calgary.

Pretty good ice cream! Their maple pecan is incredible! I'm definitely getting that scoop again. (Honey berry is not bad, but wouldn't be on my recommendations list). Nice, quiet location as well.

We are visiting from BC and this place is by far one of the most delicious ice creams we've had. Not only is everything amazing, the staff are the most friendly and welcoming folks here! El and Rachel were super warm and patient and explained all the flavours to my group of friends and I. Honestly, Village Ice Cream might even be better than Earnest/Rain or Shine in Vancouver.😏 The food is amazing, but the staff are even more amazing!! Will absolutely come back here the next time we visit.

In love with Village Ice Cream; their product is second to none. I love that they have vegan and gluten-free options, and beautiful rotating options for pets! I remember going in once in the winter to find the scooparista (do they have a title?) colouring in a colouring book! I thought it was so sweet! They said the manager doesn’t want them on their phones so they supplied the staff with some crafty options to fill their downtime. 💗

This little ice cream shop is always rocking it out! Always a line, people are so relaxed, the servers are patient with you and offer samples to try to help you choose. And they even have a glutenwise choice of cone. I love the earl grey flavour, it's a personal flavour fave!! Keep it up. My husband had the hot fudge sundae.

Amazing ice cream shop! The staff were super friendly, the ice cream was absolutely delicious, and the atmosphere was perfect. I wasn’t sure which flavor to choose, and they kindly offered me a sample to taste first. Such a lovely experience — highly recommend this place!

Been here unintentionally.. A long line up made curious ... But really worth to try it. It is the BEST ice cream ever in my life. I'm not fan of ice cream, however.. the quality & the flavor ..will bring me back for sure! Nice decoration. Lot of parking and such's a great view to Murdouch Park! Strongly recommend ;)

Village Ice Cream on 10th Ave is a must-visit for anyone who loves ice cream. Every scoop here is rich, creamy, and packed with flavor—you can tell they put a lot of care into their recipes. The toasted coconut ice cream is outstanding. It’s smooth, lightly sweet, and has that perfect nutty coconut flavor that isn’t overpowering. If you’re a coconut fan, this one is addictive. The chocolate ice cream is another favorite—deep, velvety, and not overly sweet. It tastes like real chocolate, with a richness that makes it feel indulgent but still refreshing in ice cream form. Their Ice Capp flavor is a game-changer. It tastes like a creamy frozen cappuccino, with just the right balance of coffee and sweetness. Perfect for anyone who loves their iced coffee but wants it in dessert form. On top of the amazing ice cream, the staff are always friendly and welcoming, and the shop has a fun, laid-back vibe. Whether you’re grabbing a cone, a cup, or taking home a pint, you really can’t go wrong. Village Ice Cream is truly one of Calgary’s gems!

Historic Walking Areas
Shopping Malls
Stephen Avenue Walk is a vibrant pedestrian street in Calgary, offering a mix of art, dining, shopping, and entertainment options. The area seamlessly connects the city's Arts District, Financial District, and Shopping District along a historic street lined with both early 20th-century sandstone buildings and modern glass office towers. During the bustling noon hour, thousands of downtown workers flock to the avenue for what locals call 'The Power Hour,' using their lunch break to explore the diverse offerings.
This is a wonderful walking street right in the heart of downtown Calgary. There are so many restaurants, coffee shops, and bars to choose from, many of them are good! It's very safe, a lot of police presence and very popular. Great thing to experience in Calgary!
William C — Google review
It is always architecturally interesting to blend old buildings with newer glass skyscrapers and add a touch of originality with these metal structures. It sure is nice to look at it. Though, in 2014, there were too many homeless people and visibly ones with mental health/drug issues, just like in Edmonton tbh. It means constantly having to pay attention instead of focusing on what you came for.
Stanislas T — Google review
Stephen Avenue Walk is a lively pedestrian street in downtown Calgary with a nice mix of restaurants, shops, patios, and historic buildings. It’s great for a casual stroll, people-watching, or grabbing a bite to eat. The architecture adds charm, especially the heritage facades alongside modern towers. That said, some areas feel a bit quieter outside peak hours, and not every stretch is equally vibrant. Still, it’s one of the best spots in the city to experience Calgary’s downtown energy.
Vishaka P — Google review
This street in downtown Calgary is actually quite beautiful, with nice architecture and a lively vibe. Unfortunately, the large number of homeless people really takes away from the experience. It didn’t feel very safe or comfortable walking around. I found myself too anxious to enjoy the area and ended up leaving much earlier than planned. It’s a shame because the street has potential. With better security and support for the area, it could be great. For now, I wouldn’t recommend spending too much time here.
Eva Z — Google review
I really enjoyed spending an afternoon on Stephen Avenue — it’s the perfect mix of Calgary’s history and lively urban vibe. The beautiful old sandstone buildings, historic facades, and all the unique shops and patios make it feel full of character. There’s so much to see and do here — you’ll find cozy cafés, casual pubs, nice sit-down restaurants, and lots of patios that come alive in the summer. I loved grabbing a coffee at one of the local roasters, browsing in the boutique stores, and just people-watching. There’s also plenty of public art and interesting sculptures along the street, plus buskers and street performers that add to the atmosphere. If you feel like exploring more, you can pop into the Devonian Gardens inside the CORE Shopping Centre — a beautiful indoor green space right downtown. Nearby, you’ve got the Glenbow Museum, Olympic Plaza, and historic spots like the Palace Theatre if you want to dive deeper into Calgary’s culture. The street really comes alive during events and festivals too — there’s always something happening. It’s super walkable and safe during the day, and it’s a great place to relax, grab a drink, or just enjoy Calgary’s downtown energy. If you’re visiting the city, don’t miss a stroll down Stephen Avenue — it’s one of the best ways to get a feel for Calgary’s local charm!
Hamid B — Google review
I very much liked the street. It has good restaurants, bars and coffee shops. You would walk and enjoy the crowd, and sight of people having chats and fun. I highly recommend it.
Nina J — Google review
Really nice walk on this street while restaurants around. In the evening with lights and other stuff it gives undoubtedly mesmerizing look. But to keep in mind the thing that this place is in downtown where the problem of vagrants is so much. I went to this place with my family and two vagrants scared my kids and I came back. Place is good but it needs proper security arrangements to keep the visitors safe.
Karan S — Google review
We came in the summer - I’m not sure what I was expecting from Calgary, but this exceeded my expectations. What a fun, vibrant and happening city! This is a young person downtown so if you are young or young at heart, you should come check it out! A lot of bars, people, music, overall - great vibes. This was a really fun place to walk around and experience. You can even try on and purchase some cowboy gear! And there are art installations everywhere! The downtown reminds me of Montreal or Vegas - lot of great people watching and it’s a bit like a party. Just be careful walking around - scooters and bikes are on the sidewalk and often going quickly. I’m not sure why they are all in the sidewalk but that’s something to be aware of.

Booker's BBQ Grill and Crab Shack is a lively spot located in an old warehouse in Downtown East Village, Calgary. Celebrating its 20th anniversary, this restaurant is known for its Louisiana-style cuisine and slow-cooked meats, with over 200 pounds of meat smoked daily. What sets Booker's apart is its seafood menu, offering delectable snow-crab legs that can be added to any meal.
Good food. Good service. The brisket and the turkey were both very tender, moist and tasty. Best side we had was the Mac and cheese. On Saturday nights they have a band that starts later. The band is good but makes it hard to have conversations at the table. It’s good either way but keep it in mind when booking.

Three of us shared a number of dishes starting with Caesar & green salad. Very good but the green had a bit too much dressing for our liking. Sausage was really tasty but a bit over cooked. Now the brisket & ribs were delicious & mouth watering. Well seasoned, needing no sauce. Our server was very friendly & attentive. Great job nice to see!!
RickD W — Google review
I went around lunch time, it was pretty empty so that was good. We were greeted quickly and served drinks. The Mac and cheese was bland, but the brisket was delicious, the sauce was a little too sweet though. The sausage was good and the deep fried pickles were delicious. Crab cakes were forgettable. I tried all the sauces and my favorite was the maple bourbon. This was a good place to have a nice lunch, give it a try!
HTS L — Google review
Solid 4.5. Had such a fun time here. Food was cooked well. Both the ribs and crab were very delicious. A bit pricy for the all you can eat but somewhat understandable. Outside patio needs a few more touches to enhance this to a 5 star experience. I will be back for sure. Just gotta save up so I can eat a few more creatures.

Oh my gosh- if you haven’t actually been to Bookers BBQ and Crab Shack you need to! First off. The Brisket burnt ends- so freaking good. The deep friend pickles. So good. The Crab is so fresh and tasty. You will absolutely not regret going. The first time I walked through the doors I was honestly speechless. It looks like a hole in the wall dive but you walk in and it’s so nice- and the first thing you smell is the meat smokers. You can’t walk in the door and not instantly be hungry. And we’ve never had to wait long for our food. So good.

We stayed across the road at Regal Suites on our visit from Wales, UK 6 days ago. Bookers is amazing. We didn't have a reservation but we wanted food and a table to watch Calgary Flames on TV, they gave us a stool seated table for 2 in front of the bar and TV's, perfect! We ordered 3 different brisket dishes and all were soooooo good. Bonnie the smoking oven and its chef do an awesome job. Everyone was so polite and helpful. Nothing negative to say about this place just some advice as i own a bar myself......Just hold back on the re-approach to table by waitresses. We were asked did we want another drink 3 times within 15 mins, i was only half way down my beer on the 3rd approach. When there is about an inch of liquid left in the glass that's the time to re-approach. Love this place and thank you.

Best BBQ I've ever had! Called and asked for a table for 10 and 2 high chairs, no problem at all! Lots of sitting room, great hostesses and even better servers! Lougheed House National & Provincial Historic Site is a 19th-century mansion and museum located in Calgary. Originally built as a residence for the Lougheed family, it now serves as a public historic site and museum. The house has undergone various transformations over the years, including being used as a center for young women, women's military barracks, and even a blood donor clinic.
It was lovely! We went for High Tea on a Sunday after church. The house is so characteristic of it's era with the high ceilings, the beautiful wood beams and walls, curved staircases and stained glass windows. The food was presented so nicely and delicious. The selection of teas was perfect. I had the mango pear tea. It's nice to keep such history as part of Calgary's heritage alive. There aren't many historical houses left like that in Calgary. It reminded me of my Grandma's house in Hillhurst area when I was a little girl.

Embarcadero Wine & Oyster Bar, named after San Francisco's waterfront district, offers an intimate dining experience with a warm ambiance and a patio. This gastropub is known for its extensive wine list that includes champagnes, sparkling wines, dessert wines, as well as white, reds, and roses to complement the finest selection of oysters. The menu features six varieties of northern Atlantic and Pacific fresh oysters.
We come here for lunch about twice a month. Oakley always takes great care of us. The $1.50 oyster special can’t be beat! The oysters are always fresh and the food is delicious.

The restaurant's interior is very charming. I’m usually not a fan of oysters, but the small oysters (possibly raspberry?) were surprisingly delicious; they tasted almost like clams and didn’t have a fishy flavour. I would definitely order them again. The pasta and gnocchi were excellent. If you enjoy shrimp and salmon, you will love the lunch pasta and gnocchi menus, which are also reasonably priced. The waiter was very nice. Even though we were seated on the patio, he consistently kept my coffee and water glass filled. Overall, it was a pleasant experience. I will definitely go back for dinner sometime!

I've been wanting to try this place for awhile, so I figured the YYC Food and Drink Experience would be the perfect time. We made resos for dinner at 4, Sat down, was told the yyc food thing didn't start till 5....would have been nice to see that on the Food Experience site. But then she came back and said nevermind we can start it now. Said our server will be with us soon....20 minutes later, we're the only people in the place. Finally put our order in. Caesar salad came, dressing was delicious but all the lettuce was the white ends of the lettuce. Pretty boring. Brisket came...it was not brisket, it was slices of roast beef. It was extremely bland, no flavor. And the whole place was so cold that my food was cold in 5 minutes. After they took the plates away, 15 min later I had to hail down the server. Asked for another glass of wine and when was the dessert coming (very nicely, I was just curious, wasn't rude at all) he says" yep the kitchen is really busy" and walked off...ok I get your busy and looked like he was alone BUT just tell me that?? No need to be rude and short with me? Was asking a simple question. Got the dessert it was the best part of the meal lol. Anyways, after tip it was 85 bucks for two glasses of wine and the food. Each. I wasn't impressed with the quality at all. Quantity was great but quality was very low tier. I won't be back.
Chanel C — Google review
We had dinner here before a concert, and the food was delicious. Our server was fantastic. However, due to heavy traffic, we had to call and tell them we thought we’d be several minutes late. We were told they were super busy and better be there on time or risk losing the reservation. When we got there they only had a couple of tables and when we walked they were taking walk-ins from the street. Not sure why we were. Not sure why the blatant misrepresentation. We love oysters, the only reason we chose the restaurant. However, we got them for dessert as they said the shucker couldn’t keep up. When you are primarily an oyster establishment, you should probably be able to support that part of your business. We will return and give them another chance as the location is beautiful, the food was delicious, and the waiter was great. If I have to eat oysters for dessert again, that will be the last though.

An awesome restaurant for happy hour oysters! You'll find fresh and delicious east coast P.E.I. oysters here during the appropriate season and they are the best. So big, firm, and tasty. If you order during their happy hour you can get up to 2 dozen at a discounted price. Any additional oysters will be at regular price unless you order another regular dish, which will allow you to get an equivalently priced amount of discount oysters. There are lemon slices and 5 different hot sauces to choose from. Customer service here is friendly and the restaurant interior is somewhat dark and cramped, but not uncomfortable. A nice cozy atmosphere and delicious food makes this a wonderful restaurant to dine in at! Check this out

was amazing service from Oakley, did an amazing job with my senior guests. Oakley did amazing in helping them with all the questions they had about oysters, helped them pick an amazing dinner choice ( they had 2 entree that they could not decide on cause both were sounding so good ). It's always the best place in calgary for oysters and great dinners and desserts. Thanks again Oakley for the great experience, made for a great birthday dinner with my family ( old and young )

We were greeted by Greg who handled a busy night like a pro. Took care of us and the service and food was excellent. Definitely a great ending to our 2 week road trip. Oysters were as good as any top shelf place we've ever gone to. Had the Korean Short Ribs, Greek Salad, and 24 hour roasted Lamb Shank. Did not disappoint.

Hows this I don’t usually leave bad reviews, but this was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had. Our server was rude from the start, making condescending remarks that made us feel unwelcome. The oysters were very fishy, clearly not fresh, and had a bad taste. When I mentioned the oysters were bad, the server brushed it off, offering no apology or solution, just more dismissiveness. When I got home, not long after eating them, I became sick and ended up with diarrhea. Between getting sick from the food, the poor quality of the oysters, and the rude, condescending service, I would strongly advise avoiding this restaurant. Thank you for your response. I understand your oysters are air-freighted and that others may have enjoyed them, but my experience was very different. I know the difference between not liking a flavour and something tasting off, and unfortunately these oysters had a distinctly spoiled, fishy taste that I’ve never encountered before. While I appreciate your suggestion to try fewer next time, that doesn’t change the fact that I became ill shortly after eating them. You can get shellfish poisoning within 30–60 minutes after eating contaminated shellfish, so the timing and symptoms make it a reasonable concern. I’ll take your advice and contact Alberta Health Services so the matter can be properly reviewed. My hope is simply that no one else has the same experience I did.

I love this place, the food is excellent. My father-in-law, who came from Venezuela last month on vacation to Calgary, loved it too. Every now and then I wanted to go there to eat. We loved that they have a menu for everyone, even my wife who is gluten and lactose intolerant. We loved their burgers and salads. The attention of the place is good, it could be improved, there are days that depends on who attends you gives you better attention than another. But in general terms, it is fine.

One of our fav bars in Calgary! Staff is super nice and helpful. They have gluten free beer, two options IPA and lager. For food the gluten free options are more limited, but I could have tacos and those were delicious. Will come back!! Poutine is not gluten free, I couldn’t try, but my partner loved it.

I’m so sad I forgot our server’s name because she was amazing! She was wearing a black hat and handled everything so well, even though it was really loud inside on a Saturday. We only waited about 5 minutes to be seated, which was great considering how busy it was. The food was delicious especially the mac & cheese, and I absolutely loved the fish taco. I’ll definitely be coming back again soon!

Happy hour is fabulous. Had white wine, and first time to try a Scotch Egg. Absolutely amazing! Bartender was attentive and pleasant. Highly recommended.

Came here on a Friday with friends. We ordered the nachos, popcorn chicken, wings, fully loaded Taquitos and the blackened chicken chiabata. Overall the food experience wasn’t the best. The fries with the blackened chicken was over cooked and not nice at all. The popcorn chicken had a weird taste to it…can’t explain but did not like the sauce flavour. The nachos were mediocre. I had the taquitos and they were sooooo good. 5/5 for sure. The service was good, I loved the atmosphere and the location. The sours we had was also really good. The music did get a bit too loud. Overall I would come back to try other dishes but wouldn’t expect an amazing dish to be honest

Cool spot, art and individual pieces on the walls were fun to look at. Good food & drinks. A little pricy towards other places we ate and drank at but overall good experience

My wife and I visited this place a couple of times for lunch. The ambience has always been chill and laidback and the service is prompt. I ordered the juke burger on every occasion and it’s fantastic. They have a good selection of beers and gin. I would definitely recommend this place for a chill relaxed time if that’s what you’re looking for.

Nature & Parks
Bowmont Park, nestled between Silver Springs and the Bow River, offers a variety of outdoor activities for visitors. The park boasts 27 kilometers of primarily cross-country trails, including popular ones like Sideshow Bob and Bowmont Singletrack. Additionally, there are grassland trails and paved pathways perfect for leisurely walks or hikes. Families can enjoy the boardwalk leading to Waterfall Valley, where kids can have fun while admiring the small yet charming waterfall.
Quick, quiet 20-minute loop around a pond. You can leave the path across the bike path and venture into hills with pathways. Great for active dogs.

Looking for hilly walk with stunning views? Check out Bowmont Natural Environment Park. This dog-friendly park can give you a gentle to moderate workout should you stay on the paved pathways and plenty of benches to enjoy the view. Feeling a little more adventurous? Walk along one of the natural paths but be prepared for switchbacks and rocky terrain, plus keep a lookout for mountain bikers. Will be back again soon.
Sandra A — Google review
My dog and I regularly visit Bowmont Park throughout the year as there are many trails to explore and various elevations that can suit various physical abilities. You can stay on the regular paved path, just be careful of ice during the winter months, or explore some of the trails cut through the park. The majority of the paths are shared with cyclists, so if you have your dog off-leash, just be prepared to move aside for the bikes.
Sean L — Google review
Beautiful park for families where you can walk or push strollers or wheelchairs through easily. The path is shared with bikes so just be careful. There is a one way street to the parking lot which leads to the park. Benches are available along the path by the river. We saw so much wildlife and flora. This is also home to the osprey nest.

Beautiful place to walk and explore the nature!! Great place to walk your dog (off-leash park) but make sure you bring water and keep your fur baby on leash if need! :P Very peaceful and calm❤️
Xo — Google review
Excellent easy going nature walk! The walk starts off a little boring and mostly boring hills but once you’re in the actual park it’s a very nice nature walk. You can go to the pond first if you’d like but you can skip the pond and go straight to the river for more nature action. Staying on the paved path will lead you to the river. Explore mini trail walks in and around the park, it’s fairly easy to get back on track so don’t worry too much about getting lost. We went here on May 2020 and the fences weren’t locked as well so you can explore more if you wanted to. Sunset walks are the best here! You’ll see some wild life for sure like ducks, geese, birds and beavers! Definitely recommend going here and exploring for a couple of hours.
Jordan — Google review
Gorgeous park! You can wander in here for hours. Which is easy because there's no good wayfinding to help. Watch out for cyclists where the trails are narrower. We saw people get clipped today, and were almost clipped ourselves. No one rings their bells.

Just another breathtaking dog park and natural environment Calgary has to offer. Just be warned that dogs should be excellent swimmers to get in the water deep. Lot's of rapids in the summer!

Canadian Tire is a popular retail store that offers a wide range of products for automotive, outdoor, sports, recreation, home decor, and tools. They have a pet-friendly policy at some locations but it's best to call ahead to confirm. Customers appreciate the helpful and friendly staff like Cody who provided excellent service in choosing the perfect bike. The store has been serving communities for many decades and is highly recommended for its quality and variety of useful items.
✨Melissa at Canadian Tire Auto Service is absolutely incredible! In just a couple of minutes, she solved our tire and rim issue with such professionalism and ease. I needed some Lithium Grease, so I looked online at various suppliers. And was please to see Canadian Tire actually had some on SALE – great timing. I got to the store to find that they no longer have any available. But the website advertises otherwise, so I speak to an agent who tells me there’s a system error. OK no problem, I’ll just show customer service said error in their system and they should honor their mistake and at least provide the substitute at the same price. Customer service had to call the store manager over, he tells me he can’t match the price advertised and the best he can do is give me 10% off the new product. Pics from Customer Service desk provided. Substitute in question was identical but for the plastic cap on the can. The initial “COST” to Canadian Tire to honor the advertised price would be a couple dollars. The new “COST” to Canadian Tire to honor the advertised price is a 1* on Google reviews. BTW this is not the first time this has happened to me at Canadian Tire. The response to this from their AI “owner” to call the operations manager, Shay, won’t do much. What’s he going to do, waste my time?

I had such a great experience at Canadian Tire with Corrie and his team. Corrie took the time to clearly explain everything to me, which I really appreciated. They showed me how a previous repair job from another shop wasn’t done correctly, and then they went above and beyond to fix the problems the right way. The best part — they had everything repaired within a single day! My car now feels like it’s running better than it has in the last six months. I’m so grateful for their honesty, professionalism, and excellent service. Highly recommend Corrie and the Canadian Tire team!

I have been visiting this location for over 20 years and have never had a problem. I bought tires and batteries and had oil changes done, and every time, the staff was friendly and helpful. I find the store to be well stocked and live the app for finding the location of the product I'm looking for.

I’ve been waiting in this Canadian tire since 11am that i dropped off my car for auto service I have been wanting to use the toilet it’s now 130pm I have call and asked in person to the front desk lady and another cashier today August 8 2025 and still no one came to clean up the washroom here i told them I am concern about the cleanliness of one of the washrooms and still no one cared to come and take action how disappointing to wait here
Samantha M — Google review
Very disappointing experience. I came to make a return, waited a long time in line, only to be told they couldn’t process it. The all-female staff, including the supervisor, were extremely rude, unprofessional, incompetent, and showed no sense of subordination. They refused to return the money, saying that the item was already “sold out” at their location — even though Canadian Tire’s own return policy clearly states that returns can be made at any store. Only after wasting a lot of time did they finally offer a gift card instead. Terrible service. 👎
Health M — Google review
I’ve never written a bad review for any company before, but this Canadian Tire location has pushed me past the limit. This morning, I drove 20 minutes just to drop off a car battery for charging. I stood in line for 30 minutes, and when I finally got to the counter, the staff member told me there was only one battery ahead of mine, so mine would be charged in about two hours total. I told him I’d come back later, and he said that was fine. Later in the day, I drove another 30 minutes from university, arrived at 5:45 PM, and once again stood in line for 30 minutes. There were two workers on counter when i came in, and one just leaves after dealing with a customer. Now Only one worker was actually helping customers. The other, who I’d seen working the counter when i came in, was just walking around the store slowly, casually stalling while the line kept growing. He wasn’t in the back doing something urgent, he was literally in the aisles, walking past the customers waiting on him. Minute 20 of me being here, he finally came back to the counter, instead of helping the line, he answered a phone call at the counter. I get that it was work-related, but the complete lack of urgency was insane. The other guy was stuck handling customers alone. When my turn finally came, I gave my name and number and explained I had dropped off a battery in the morning. The first worker checked and then told me the other guy had to deal with it, so now I’m stuck waiting again. Both of them eventually went to check on it, only to come back and tell me: “Can you come back tomorrow?” Seriously? I had a doctor’s appointment at 6:20, and by that point it was 6:17. I had been in the store over 30 minutes, with zero results, no accountability. So to sum it up: – 6+ hours of my day wasted – Over an hour of driving – About an hour waiting in lines – Doctor's appointment missed – And still, no battery Just a lazy “come back tomorrow.” This location is a mess. If you value your time, your sanity, or basic customer service, avoid this Canadian Tire at all costs.

I had an amazing stay at the Sandman Signature! A huge thank you to Jessica at the front desk who completely turned my Alberta trip around. She was incredibly friendly, accommodating, and went above and beyond to make our special sisters’ milestone trip truly memorable. Her thoughtful recommendations and excellent customer service made all the difference. Thanks to her, what could have been an average stay became an experience I’ll never forget. I’ll definitely be back and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting!

My family stayed here for 5 nights the week of Oct 20/25. The hotel is good value for price/night; the rooms are spacious w a good view. But what really made our stay was the excellent service. Thank you, Charlotte, Aleed (I may have misspelled name, but he is overnight manager), and especially Ammnual (security) for taking the time to entertain my toddler son, and graciously clean up messes he made in the lobby. Every staff member we encountered in the hotel was kind and welcoming. I highly recommend hotel.

Overall great experience. Rooms have an older carpet that had some stains. The work desk/dining table had a charging area and power outlet build in to it and they didn’t work. Hotel staff is very friendly and supportive. Team provided quick resolution to any requests. Great price to quality experience. I definitely will stay here again in my next travel to Calgary and would recommend to stay in this hotel to anyone who is looking for place to stay in Downtown Calgary.

It wasn’t a great experience at first — check-in was fine, but soon after arrival there was a fire alarm, and we had to wait outside for some time. When we got back, the room had dirty sheets and a used towel on the sofa bed, which was disappointing. But then Katerina stepped in and completely turned things around! She handled everything with genuine care and professionalism, fixed the issues immediately, and truly showed what great customer service looks like. Her kindness, patience, and dedication really stood out. She turned what started as a 1-star experience into a full 5-star stay. Kudos to Katerina — she truly deserves recognition for her exceptional guest service!

Worst beds. Actually slept with a spring in my side. Moved to the second bed in our room and it was just as bad. I was shocked at how uncomfortable they were. Also the pool is FREEZING. The kids were blue when they came out and there was never any towels.Everytime we had to ask for some and they would bring 5…. Which were quickly snatched up. How hard is it to fill the towels? Honestly I wouldn’t go back. Better hotels around every corner.

We spent one night at the Sandman Signature Downtown Calgary during our road trip through Canada. The stay can be summed up as “It could be better, but it could also be worse.” This applies to the rooms, location, and overall condition of the hotel. However, since the price was very reasonable, the value for money was absolutely fair. The only major issue was parking. We were driving a full-size SUV, which is quite common in Canada. Upon arrival, we found that our vehicle was too tall for the hotel’s parking garage. There are “oversized parking” spots, but they are assigned on a first come, first served basis. When we arrived at 5:20 p.m., all were already taken. There is a public parking lot next door for oversized vehicles, but payment there only works with US or Canadian credit cards and phone numbers. This limitation should definitely be mentioned when booking. Fortunately, we were able to solve the issue thanks to Kateryna, who did everything she could to make sure we got a parking spot. The service of her was the highlight of the hotel! She also gave us great recommendations for nearby restaurants and bars. The service was outstanding and that’s why this review still deserves five stars.

The hotel boasts a relaxed restaurant and bar, as well as two rooftop hot tubs with scenic views. Additionally, guests can take advantage of the 24-hour airport shuttle service and enjoy free WiFi throughout the property.
Great hotel if you need something close to the airport. The building was a little run down, but the room was clean and comfortable. One of the highlights was the service - everyone from the shuttle drivers and the front desk staff were so helpful. Jashika went out of her way to provide recommendations on places to visit and gave me some great tips. Another highlight was the restaurant. The food was delicious and the service was amazing.

The rooms are large and very well equipped with desk/dresser and multiple night stands. Plenty of hanging space for clothes and nice robes. The bathroom was also very nice, with a great shower, multiple shower heads,. The room was also very clean. I would definitely stay here again. Used the shuttle to the airport, Lucky was my driver, and he was very friendly. He provided a very well maintained bus, and was on time.

The hotel is nice quiet roomy. Personnel is very friendly and helpful. Food is really good and prices are ok. But if you want something else, you can deliver to the hotel. There are vendors machines at every level and ice machines as well. Gym is small, but enough for fitness. Hot tub is outdoor and so cool!! Right at the roof, with beautiful view. There is iron in the room, TV has option to connect with your device, and there is small TV in the bathroom as well! Hotel is very close to the airport and have shuttle every 30 minutes. So comfy to stay between flights. Pillows and bed were really cozy, had a good rest. Thank you so much! Totally recommend

They have a very friendly staff. The check-in team was kind, and Lucky was exceptionally helpful. I had accidentally left my travel pillow in a different hotel shuttle, and he went out of his way to track it down and return it to me. I truly appreciated his effort. I also love the warm smiles on the staff’s faces whenever they assist you. I will definitely stop over again.

A great hotel conveniently located about 2 km from the airport. Rooms: 5/5 modern and lux room that was clean and comfortable. The bathroom had a mini TV, not that it was a deal breaker. There’s a state of the art shower. They even have pet friendly options. Other great amenities include an iron board and mini fridge. Service: 5/5 top notch customer service staff from the shuttle bus drivers (who actually assist you with heavy luggage) to the concierge staff. There’s Tonic Kitchen & Bar, a restaurant inside the facility with tasty contemporary food from steak to salads. Location: 5/5 close to the airport with free shuttle service to and from the airport 24/7. Just need to arrange ahead of time. If you want convenience & comfort, Hotel Clique is a must stay especially with late or early flights.
Melanie E — Google review
Hotel Clique was the perfect stopover hotel for us to catch a flight out of Calgary. The room and beds were really comfortable for a good night’s sleep. The restaurant food for breakfast was fast and tasty. But best of all was the service. We had booked a king size bed, but because my kids had their flight cancelled from Glacier Airport in Montana, we had to make an extra trip to pick them up and bring them to Calgary. The hotel was fully booked but the receptionist, Jaishika, took my name and as soon as a double queen room became available, she switched us immediately. That was super helpful because we were out of cell phone range most of the drive. It all worked out great, and all the staff members we encountered were really nice. Thanks for taking care of us!
Rose K — Google review
Jaishika is the most fabulous receptionist ever; professional, kind and acutely attuned to guests needs and desires. Very creative problem solver too. If there’s such a thing as a fast track program for career advancement in the hospitality industry she should be in it yesterday. Thank you for your excellent service this morning!! (4 out 5 stars for service only because another receptionist still has a lot to learn from Jaishika - if a woman asks a question, you don’t answer the husband. Let alone not even acknowledging she’s there to begin with…)

Stayed here for a night before flying out the next day. Location is great if you need to be close to the airport and next door is a casino if you are looking for something to do. We really enjoyed the rooftop hot tub and rooms were really clean. I would give the restaurant a 3.5/5.

Amazing stay at the Sheraton Suites! The location was amazing, especially because we had our dog with us who enjoyed the close proximity to Prince's Island Park for walks. The staff were always so friendly and helpful, making our visit very comfortable. Our hotel room was clean and had everything we needed for our visit. Couldn't recommend staying here enough!

This is our favorite place to stay when we're in Calgary! The rooms are clean, we get club lounge access which is a fantastic bonus for the pop and snacks. Staff are always so friendly, and the pool area is nice. Valet staff are amazing too. The location is great, we love going to Joey for dinner because it's right across the street. Can't say enough good things about this hotel, we will continue to bring our business here.

I was in Calgary for a few days for work . And I can confidently say that it’s one of the best hotels I have ever experienced. From the moment I walked in, the staff was welcoming and attentive. The catering was fantastic , specially one staff, sorry I forgot her name and lost her business card( she’s a Filipina) she’s so kind and accommodating, knowing that I don’t eat meat, she prepared food specially for me. What stood out for me during my stay was the exceptional service from the housekeeping Director and team (Anja and Phan). There was a mishap when I ordered my room service , the Tabasco sauce container wasn’t closed properly that when I took it out the bag, it splattered all over my white pants . They tried to dry clean but it’s mostly ruined, and, then they offered a similar pants to replace and sent it to me here in British Columbia where I live. I couldn’t be more grateful. They all went above and beyond. It’s rare to see such commitment to guest satisfaction. It speaks volumes about the hotel’s values and professionalism of the staff members. Overall, I highly recommend Sheraton Suites Calgary Eau Claire not only for their luxurious amenities but also for its outstanding customer service. If you’re looking for a place where the staff truly cares, this is it!

To start with the good, the location in Calgary was amazing and the staff was great to deal with. The bad, the hotel room we had booked was filled so we either had to pay more for a nice room or take a different room layout with no bath. We took the no bath option, just a stand up shower. The room only had seating for over person to eat. The shower flooded the whole bathroom, when I called the front desk they called a maintenance person that had said it was normal dew to poor quality renovations and the building knows about it. I really wish they told me that when I had swapped from a room without a bath. The headboard on the bed was scratched up. There is only included parking is you live in Alberta, otherwise valet costs an additional $50 (not a negative, as I am from Alberta, but not clearly noted beforehand)

A year ago, my husband and I hosted both our engagement party and wedding reception at Sheraton Suites Eau Claire, and to say the experience was amazing would be an understatement. From the very beginning, Anna, the Executive Meeting Manager, worked seamlessly with our wedding planner and family, going above and beyond to accommodate every detail of our vision; from the menu to the venue decorations. Both celebrations were unforgettable, and our stay at the hotel for a few nights was just as wonderful. The rooms, the food, and the service were all exceptional, and our families who stayed over the weekend shared the same glowing feedback. Just last week, we returned to celebrate our one-year anniversary, and once again, the Sheraton team made it a truly memorable experience. We were greeted with thoughtful gifts in our room, enjoyed an incredible dinner at Flower & Wolf (the bison short rib and seafood tagliatelle were unreal!), and ended the weekend with a lovely breakfast. Everyone we encountered was so warm and attentive, but a few standouts deserve special mention: Allan at the reception desk, Victor at Valet, and of course, Anna for helping us plan our anniversary stay. Thank you again for making our stay and celebrations so amazing! Sheraton Suites Eau Claire will always hold a special place in our hearts, and we look forward to returning for many years to come.

This hotel is beautiful, the location couldn't get any better for enjoying some of the fun Calgary has to offer. The promenade by the river is so incredible, what a beautiful spot. Lots of restaurants around, short walk over from Stephens Avenue, which is so much fun any day of the week. The amenities in the hotel are wonderful as well, fantastic gym, nice pool and hot tub, all the staff are very nice. Valet parking only but there is a pay parking lot right out the front door which can be more convenient depending how busy the hotel is. Quiet rooms, very clean. Cant wait to come back and enjoy again!

Stayed here during a short Calgary trip and it was a solid pick. The location’s great—right by the river and walking distance to downtown spots. Rooms are spacious and clean, with a separate living area that’s handy if you’re working or just want to spread out. Service was friendly and check-in was smooth. The pool area is a nice bonus, especially if you’re traveling with kids. Not super flashy, but reliable and comfortable. Would recommend for both business and leisure stays.

I would like to express my sincere appreciation to the Sheraton Eau Claire for providing such a delightful experience during my stay. As my preferred hotel in Calgary, I found the location to be exceptionally convenient, with a variety of fantastic restaurants within easy walking distance. The rooms were spacious and impeccably clean, and the staff exemplified the true meaning of exceptional customer service. I am also grateful for the recognition of my Titanium Bonvoy membership, which is a level of appreciation that is not always extended at other Marriott properties. Achieving this status represents considerable dedication, and the Sheraton Eau Claire certainly fulfilled the promised perks and upgrades. I certainly look forward to returning in the future.

I recently stayed at the Wingate by Wyndham Calgary Airport for six days and had a generally positive experience. The hotel and service were good, with friendly staff who were always willing to assist. However, I did have some concerns regarding cleanliness and amenities. One of the main issues was that the rooms were not cleaned regularly; I expected at least every other day service, but that wasn’t the case. Additionally, I found it disappointing that when I asked for coffee and tea cups, I was informed that they were only available for sale. It was a bit confusing since I received complimentary coffee and tea bags on my first day. And also washrooms doors? Overall, while the stay was enjoyable, I believe that addressing the cleanliness frequency and providing complimentary coffee and tea items would greatly enhance the guest experience.

No issues. The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. The hotel was close to Spruce Meadows, which was our destination. Breakfast buffet was better than it appeared. It was my first time seeing & using an automatic pancake maker. They tasted and smelled good. There was am option for waffles, if you prefer those instead. The eggs claimed to be over easy but they were over hard, which after tasting them it didn't matter because they tasted good. They we white with a yellow yolk. (Wyndham Hinton did not have these eggs & should)

Location 1 because shuttle driver won't help with bags. Room and service 1 because left behind items "disappear". Called hotel about item left in room not five minutes after leaving. Afternoon : returned to hotel for item, they don't know where it is. Next day : called, hotel has no detail of where item is or thrown away. Emailed corporate and hotel manager: they don't have any details of what happened to my item, and simply sent boilerplate corporate "we regret" email. Hotel is a franchise, Wyndham disowns any responsibility. You're no better off than airBnB "work it out with the host". Gentle reminder hotel burglary insurance cover foced entry, so if staff are prone to take your things using key card you have no recourse. Keep belongings in room at own risk.

We were here only one night, but are very pleased with our stay. The staff is extremely pleasant..room is clean and comfortable..breakfast is very good and complete..the short walk to dinner was great! We will be back!

Quiet, comfortable beds, toddler approved. Hotel was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was included and had a nice variety of hot breakfast items to choose from. It is by the airport, traffic wasn’t an issue. Will definitely stay again!

Check in/out was efficient; staff were pleasant, professional and knowledgeable. The bed was comfortable. The room and bathroom were clean and the Internet worked well. This location is close to the airport and they offer a shuttle service.

Located in the heart of Calgary, Four Points by Sheraton Calgary Airport offers guests an indoor pool, a spa and a restaurant/bar. The hotel is also equipped with free airport shuttle and modern style with loads of vibrant color. Super contemporary cherry-finish furniture including mile-long desks and sleek flat-panel TVs are some of the highlights.
I really love this place place. Starting off the rooms were very clean, and the a/c was great. The service was remarkable as when we asked for a different room with views to Calgary downtown and top floor they complied and gave us a great room. This place is near the airport not too far from downtown and has everything you need including a big mall.
Shreeya G — Google review
Room was not properly cleaned or restocked. Shampoo and body wash were completely empty upon arrival, and front desk/guest services were extremely slow and unhelpful in getting us proper hygienic facilities restocked. I had to call guest services and go down to the front desk 3 times before we were finally given more. They don’t care about your time at all As well, the mattresses are dirty and yellow without a proper mattress cover and the garbage bins don’t have liners in them either
Ben L — Google review
The room was clean and decent for the price. The bed was very comfortable, and the room was very quiet. On the other hand, the staff was cold and seemed really disconnected and not very helpful. Also, you’re kind of out in the concrete jungle wasteland near the airport where you pretty much need to Uber everywhere. I liked the hotel. The parking area was very dirty, and the staff was underwhelming to recap.

Nice place, but DO NOT COME HERE IF YOU HAVE YOUNG KIDS! They have absolutely no channels on the television with cartoons and no options for you to put cartoons on unless you rent a movie from them for $15 or more! Pretty sure this is the only hotel I have ever stayed in that did not have television channels available for young children. They clearly only prefer adults or older children staying in their hotel.
Renee F — Google review
This hotel was simply in need of a little updating. There needs to be a sign indicating where to scan your card to get into the parking garage because many people would drive down and have to back up the little hill looking for it. The room walls are incredibly thin so having to wake up with the neighbors wake up calls was not so fun. My main complaint would be that the beds are extremely uncomfortable and need replacing. The staff was very friendly and always helpful. Decent breakfasts in the morning and the grounds were well kept. I wouldn't come back to this location but at least we tried it.
Eva P — Google review
Dirty dirty dirty, our mattress cover has stains and when we asked house keeping to change the bedding they delivered us bedding to change ourselves. Sauce spill all over the floor that had not been cleaned. Throughout the hotel garbage was not touched over a matter of days in main areas. The pool had a yellow brown ring all around it from not being properly cleaned and the decks are black. Sandy silt in the bottom. We asked for another bottle of water and were told the allotment is one per room per stay. Hotel charged the credit card for the stay on check in and not check out. Parking was difficult to find and the front desk was less than helpful.
Kaitlynn L — Google review
I have stayed here a couple of times because the price was decent for a 4 points Sheraton. However, the standards fall far below. The toilet in the room wouldn't filll properly, there were stains on the chair in the room, the carpet was in rough shape and dirty, and the window was disgustingly foggy and all marked up (worse in person than in the photos). The staff were good, but I knew that there was little they could do about the condition of the rooms, and I was too tired to start swapping rooms.

Nestled in the vibrant heart of Calgary, the Hilton Garden Inn Calgary Downtown is a polished retreat that combines comfort with convenience. Guests can enjoy warm and inviting rooms, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring. The hotel features casual dining options, a cozy lounge, and a well-equipped fitness room to keep you energized during your stay. With its prime location near top attractions and an array of delightful eateries just steps away, this hotel makes it easy to immerse yourself in the local culture.
Accomodations are great, staff is fantastic but location although easy walk to everything, there are a lot of homeless people in the area. Not that we had any issues other then some crude words being said. Parking across the street is less expensive then underground parking. Free train to major shopping mall.

Total dump. My flight was very canceled and I couldn’t use the first night of my reservation. I contacted hotel to let them know my flight was canceled and reached out to see if there was anything they could do. I provided multiple options of solutions that would be amenable to me. They were completely unwilling to work with me in any way. Not exactly what I’ve come to expect from hundreds of bookings with Hilton over the years. Rooms were fine. Ours had a view of the public library and the hundreds of drug addicts congregating around the back of the hotel and the Salvation Army around the corner. It was about a 20 minute walk from the main downtown area.

The Hotel is modern, comfortable, and has all the amenities to make your stay relaxing. The lounge and restaurant serve great food and drink. If I had one note for anyone staying alone, is to be mindful of the neighborhood, as there is a large homeless population in the area. The hotel has security patrolling out front and they do a good job, making you feel secure and safe. Its a big city, they all unfortunately face a sizable homeless population. Be city smart and I recommend this Hotel, I will stay here again.

I usually stay at Marriotts but picked this place because it was close to the venue I needed to be at. Honestly, I regret it. First off, they don’t give you water bottles unless you have status. When I asked, the front desk tried to tell me it was some “City of Calgary” rule, which makes no sense because they still hand them out to guests with Hilton status. The next morning I went to take a hot shower around 8 a.m., and the water was barely warm. How does a hotel not have enough hot water for its guests in the morning? On top of that, the AC kept resetting in the middle of the night. I had to get up more than once just to turn it back on to my preferred temperature. The room itself was okay, but the bathtub had leftover body wash residue on it, which tells me it wasn’t properly cleaned. Overall, a really disappointing stay. I’ll stick with Marriott from now on. Please don’t bother replying to this with a canned message of how you are sorry and hope to one day have the opportunity to make it up to me. It’s all just fluff and no action.

Convenient location with access to popular attractions and public transit, but the area can be a bit rough. However, inside the hotel, you feel safely tucked away from all of that. Had a lovely stay with friendly and efficient service. We enjoyed the comfort of our room, as well as room service. Wish their bar stayed open later into the night.

Good size rooms. Service is very good. The complimentary breakfast is fine and unlimited. The restaurant served a decent evening meal too. Very helpful and knowledgeable front desk. Not much wardrobe space, no draws for underwear etc, and no safe, which was a concern. All in all though, a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

Oh boy.... Check in was simple n easy but....more on that later Room was okay but the mattress was rock hard 😭 think the floor was softer. Shower door didn't close all da kweh so water kept getting everywhere. Hot tub was nice wasn't expecting the pool to be salt water hair ruined and either pool or hot tub gave kitty a rash. Woke up early excited fur breakfast went down and was told we don't get breakfast as we asked fur points at check in....what? No kitty not a member why would want points?? Give breakfast. So no breakfast parking across the road was $15/night talked to a friend whom stayed a week before and they were giving a code for $6 parking per night at check in....where was Kitty's code? Why wasn't kitty asked about points or breakfast? Was not happy -_- And the homeless surrounding the hotel definitely felt safe and didn't wake up each morning scared they broke into her car. Was so happy to finally check out. Now please stop emailing asking fur a fluffing review! 6 emails for please rate us? -_-

Flowing from the Canadian Rockies, the Bow River is a popular choice for paddlers of all skill levels. With Class II rapids and 587 kilometers of water to explore, it offers a picturesque setting to spend a weekend enjoying Alberta's natural beauty. The river also boasts numerous campsites along its banks, particularly near Calgary in Southern Alberta. Renowned for its blue ribbon waters, the Bow River attracts fly fishermen from around the world with its abundant rainbow and brown trout population.
We were heading to Lake Louise and saw this Lake from the Parkway. The color was quite amazing so we made a few stops along the way. We were thoroughly enjoying the Canadian Rockies as they are magnificent. The peaks of Mt. Rundle and Mt. Cascade, part of the Canadian Rocky Mountains, dominate its skyline.

Coast Calgary Downtown Hotel & Suites by APA offers comfortable and practical all-suite accommodations with fully equipped kitchens, free Wi-Fi, and a fitness room. Guests appreciate the spacious rooms with sofa beds and well-stocked kitchens, complete with utensils and coffee machines. The friendly staff provide excellent service, although some guests note that the hotel could benefit from a renovation. However, many are impressed by the clean rooms and modern amenities such as Japanese heating toilets.
I am Marriott member and for some reasons I couldn’t find Marriott this time to stay. I booked this hotel with lots of anxiety and I’m absolutely delighted with the experience! From the moment I walked in, Brijesh at reception with big smile, everything felt welcoming and thoughtfully designed. Brijesh is SO kind! He truly made my stay comfortable, guided me with food options, laundry options .. I may have asked thousand questions but he answered each one with smile and warmth!!!. Amazing hospitality 🙏The rooms are incredibly spacious, offering a relaxing and luxurious feel. The bathrooms are stocked with high-quality Be Kind toiletries—not the tiny soaps you usually get at hotels. Sofas are clean, and Brijesh mentioned hotel management truly thinks and do best to take care of guest needs . One of my favorite surprises was the Japanese-style toilets—a touch of comfort and innovation I didn’t expect. The kitchen area is large and well-equipped, making it feel like a home away from home. And ofcourse..shout-out to Brijesh at the reception. He went above and beyond to make my stay memorable. When I asked for chai, he was extremely kind and helpful, answering all my questions with patience and warmth. His welcoming personality truly added to my happiness during my stay. Overall, Coast Calgary Downtown exceeded my expectations with its spacious rooms, thoughtful amenities, and outstanding hospitality—especially from Brijesh. Highly recommended!

We had a wonderful stay at the Coast Hotel in Downtown, Calgary. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-appointed, just what we needed for a relaxing visit. One small detail was missing: the usual pairs of slippers that typically come with the room. Emma Xu, a staff member at the front desk, went above and beyond to help us. She was incredibly courteous and took the extra step to personally track us down and deliver the slippers. Her thoughtful gesture and professionalism truly made us feel valued as guests. Thanks to Emma and the team, our stay was smooth and enjoyable. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Calgary!

We had an absolutely wonderful experience at this hotel! The staff were incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to make our family trip seamless. The service was top-notch from the moment we arrived—quick, efficient, and always with a smile. A special shout-out to Yuna at the front desk, who truly understood our needs. We showed up with what felt like a mountain of bags, and we desperately needed an early check-in after a long flight. Yuna handled everything with such grace and professionalism, arranging it without any hassle and even helping us get settled quickly. She made us feel like valued guests right away. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-appointed, but it’s the people like Yuna who make this place shine. Highly recommend for families or anyone looking for genuine hospitality. We’ll definitely be back!

We checked in around 2 a.m. at Coast Calgary Downtown, where Brijesh at the front desk warmly welcomed us and handled our check-in smoothly, explaining all the facilities and pointing out the coffee station — a perfect comfort on that freezing night. When a homeless person entered due to the door not locking automatically, Brijesh managed the situation calmly, upholding hotel policy while still showing compassion by offering him a cup of coffee. Though our stay was brief, his professionalism and kindness left a lasting impression.

Lovely hotel, well located. Second time we come here. The room was big and clean with comfortable beds and had all the facilities you can think about. But the most important thing that made us write this review was the receptionist named Mark which was so professional attentive and helpful. We haven’t encountered any service provider who was as nice and helpful as he was, and not just to us, to whom ever needed his help (as far as we saw while we were down at the main floor).

The property features family rooms and a sun terrace for guests to enjoy. Additionally, it is conveniently situated near the airport and within walking distance of various restaurants.
We stayed over one night here and wow what a great hotel! The rooms are spacious and very clean and new. The kitchenette was the best I have seen and had everything. The big surprise was the breakfast which was way better than other hotels in Calgary and most nearby cities. We have been to many hotels in Alberta and BC so this was a surprise. I would highly recommend this place.

Excellent airport hotel, I'm surprised it only has three star rating. It has the comfiest bed we have experienced in our tour of Canada this far. Service was good and very close to airport. An Uber into the city was not too pricey but I'm sure there are probably public transportation options. Breakfast was included in our stay. It was a buffet breakfast with plenty of choice.

I've stayed here a couple times on separate visits...both times the rooms were exceptionally clean, well priced, and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. However i want to highlight the amazing staff...I lost a very important family ring while here my first time. When I called, the team promptly found the ring, called me back, and coordinated keeping it safe until I could come pick it up the following week. I interacted with many of the staff during this situation and all of them were professional, kind, and transparent throughout this very stressful situation. Since this situation, this is the hotel I choose when I'm in Calgary.
Anjali T — Google review
My recent stay at the Executive Residency by Best Western in Calgary was quite comfortable, primarily due to the quality of the room itself. The accommodation was very spacious and clean, providing a perfect, relaxing environment for our trip. We also greatly appreciated the hotel's location, as it was conveniently close to the airport, making travel hassle-free. The surrounding neighborhood deserves mention as well; it was noticeably quiet and peaceful, which contributed to a great night’s sleep. However, our experience was marred by an issue regarding breakfast. Despite having already paid for the breakfast as part of our reservation package, the front desk attendant insisted that we had to pay for it again upon arrival. This was frustrating and disappointing. Rather than dealing with the confusion, we opted to go down the street to a Tim Hortons instead. This operational mix-up prevented us from enjoying a prepaid amenity. Overall, the physical aspects of the hotel—the rooms, cleanliness, and location—were excellent and highly recommended, but management should address the clear discrepancy in billing and service regarding the included breakfast.
Jeramee W — Google review
The rooms there are really convenient to stay at. Not only is it close to the airport but it is also beside a really nice set of plazas. It has groceries stores and food near it. The rooms in here are also really nice, it comes with a pretty good kitchen setup, with a stovetop and microwave oven and a full fridge. The sink is also really nice in the kitchen. The bathroom setup is also pretty good with a nice shower and sink setup paired with a big mirror.

We had a great stay. Upon our arrival the staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful. Our room was comfortable and well kept and we appreciated the additional amenities in the hotel like the guest laundry. We ordered dinner from the hotel restaurant and it was pretty good, too. I specifically want to shout out Krystal, who was really helpful when one of the washing machines wasn't accepting coins. It was fixed very quickly.

Excellent value. Large rooms. Almost everything worked correctly. Well-lit, not the typical gloomy hotel room. Very quiet in the room. Multiple ergonomic issues in the bathroom, but still workable.

This was my second stay at this hotel and I will definitely be back. I really enjoyed the hotel, everything from the cleanliness of the property and rooms to the friendly, welcoming staff. I enjoyed the pool and hot tub which were both great temperatures. The location was nice and quiet. There are some shops within walking distance. Lots of amenities within a short driving distance. Would recommend a stay here. Excellent value for money.

Priced right. Room 119 bathroom is starting to show its age. Thin walls. No hot eggs bacon or sausage at the breakfast. I got tired of waffles and yogurt. Great water pressure, get your shower done before too late or you may get a cold shower. Nice staff. Pool was closed again due to city ordinance posted. It looked crystal clear? This location is great if you like to visit Heritage park, a $12 Uber ride away.

I stayed at the hotel for two nights to attend the Calgary marathon. I left two expensive hydration bottles and one small one, as well as 2 noodle bowls in the fridge. Upon notifying them the next day, I was told they didn’t find anything. That is a lie because these were left there because of the fact I had just bought them and weren’t even used, but only filled to cool in the fridge. (I ended up using my hydration vest and forgot about the bottles that accompany my pouch) Long story short…. I was told my the GM that it wasn’t found and nothing he could do. He told me policy was to notify customers of items lost… including FOOD! I did not receive such a call or I would have been reminded of the other items in the fridge. Upon arriving at the room, my daughter showered in clogged bathtub. I removed all the hair and plastic myself as it was after 8pm and I just wanted to get my kids to bed as we had races the next day. The walls in the room looked live they have not been washed in ages (the baseboard area where the wall connects), there was sticky crap under my bed along the base of the bed. My children even felt gross staying there. I do not recommend this place at all. Go to the Days Inn down the road where I normally book. These guys are gross and crooks.

Most definitely an older hotel located just off one of the major routers in the city. In need of some updates though. We stayed on the upper floor. The beds were comfortable enough and the room was clean, the Air conditioner worked fine. Standard continental breakfast you get at most north american places though if the hotel was fully booked the breakfast room would be too small. Reception was friendly enough though and check in and out was simple. Probably would not stay again just because of the area of town it is located and it needs some very basic upgrades to get it into the year 2000's for amenities
Nolan C — Google review
Our stay in the hotel was okay, but the main issues were the cleanliness of the rooms. When me and my family got into the rooms a diabolical smoke stench hit us like a truck. The smell stayed there for the entire 2 day duration of our stay. And for the pool? It was even worse, it was not maintained and cleaned, there were things on the bottom of the pool and had some kind of organisms floating on the water. The breakfast is okay, but there was barely any options and they kept running out of things.
Zel O — Google review
Our stay was a bit of a letdown despite the decent rooms, which were clean and comfortable enough for three of us. The real frustration came with housekeeping: for three nights, we only got two towels total, forcing us to trek down to the lobby each evening to beg for extras and haul them back up ourselves. They also never bothered refilling the coffee packs, so we were out of luck for that simple amenity. Breakfast was another low point—below average at best. No hot options unless you DIY waffles with the batter and machine they provided, and the breads were often hard and stale. It felt like cutting corners everywhere. Overall, the value for money was poor, and I wouldn’t recommend it. Save your budget for somewhere more attentive.
Sayan P — Google review
I booked 3 rooms here for my family for a trip to Callaway Park and the zoo. The rooms had chairs in them and in one of the rooms the chair looked like it had years of cum stains all over it. It was disgusting! We were traveling with little kids so we covered it with a towel and made them stay away. The table had some kind of a gross film on it and the rooms in general weren't very clean. The bathtub drain in all three rooms didnt drain so the tub filled up When showering and took quite some time for the water to eventually go down. The hallways were filthy, in three days we were there they were not vacuumed once. They offer free breakfast but the room was so small that there was no room anyone to really eat, people were standing and trying to eat and there definitely wasnt room in there for our family with 4 kids so the last two days we were there we went elsewhere for breakfast. The Friday and Saturday night there was a group of loud drunk people making all kinds of noise in the halls from 1-2 am, nothing was done about that so my daughter ended up going and yelling at them to go in their rooms and be quiet as they had woken up some of the kids. The bed however was comfortable. If you're looking for a cheap place to stay for work or whatever then maybe this place would work for you but i don't recommend for families or anyone who like things to be clean.
Tracy B — Google review
The rooms were clean and comfy. Shower had good pressure with lots of hot water. The outdoor pool was a hit for the kids and the proximity to restaurants and shopping was excellent. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 was because of the thick smell of marajuana that crept into the bathroom later in the evening. We had to run the bathroom fan all night to try to keep it from coming into the room. Must be traveling through the vents somehow or maybe under the hallway door and I know it's not a fault of the hotel that someone decided to smoke indoors, but it still put a damper on the night. Would still stay there again.
Kyle M — Google review
The room was very dirty. We had to change our own bedding the first night because it was filthy. Looked like black dog hair. I had asked the cleaning staff to wash the floors because they were very dirty. They didn't get washed. Our coffee, cups etc were not restocked. We had to ask for toilet paper, towels and face clothes. I wiped up a spill (water) with a white towel and it came up black. That was after I asked the floors to be washed. I noticed that the same filthy mop and brown water was being used to wash floors in some of the rooms. All in all it was gross. Wish I had taken pictures.

Nice place in terms of trim and setup. Good lighting, nice bar, lots of parking. Service was also very good. The kitchen is struggling though for sure. Went at a time when they were not busy. Ordered calamari and two mains. Calamari was not edible, had ten times as much salt as would be tolerable, and the mains were weak (cod and beef ribs). Bland, served warm but not hot, undercooked vegetables that consisted of a lot of celery, and generally bland. My water glass had lipstick all over it. Beer was good and cold. Overall though.. I would skip it with so many better options just down the road in Kensington.. at least until they get their act together.

Bartender was friendly and knowledgeable. Excited to return. Hopefully the tv has something less terrible on Next time. Lol Heads up! Sounds like when everything is complete in the area regarding construction, parking will be a nightmare for non-legion members.

Quiet Tuesday night visit so place was not busy. Service was fast and friendly. I had the chicken and Brie sandwich which came recommended by our server and it was very tasty. My friend had the clam chowder. He said it was good, just a bit too watered down. Would like to see a thicker, heartier soup. He said the garlic bread was very yummy though. Overall, a decent dining experience.

Friendliest staff, excellent service and yummy food. We were there tonight and upon arriving were informed the kitchen was short staffed due to a family emergency and that our food would be a longer wait. It was no issue for us so we happily stayed and enjoy a couple of drinks and - after not even too long of a wait - a lovely meal (the grown-up grilled cheese was 😍). The staff were so pleasant and accommodating the whole time and even comped our drinks, though it was completely unnecessary. We heard an extremely rude table of customers behind us being totally unreasonable about the kitchen situation and once again the staff handled it so professionally and with kindness in a really brutal situation. I am so sorry the team had to deal with that - you were all awesome and we will be back soon!

Was hoping for a great experience as received a few years ago. But it was not to be. Our server was great but no others followed in his footsteps! We ordered the Chicken brie sandwich, the hamburger and the Panako salmon sandwich. While the salmon was the only one that proved delicious. My friends were not impressed with the rest, not for the price. French fries were also tasteless. A very disappointing evening sorry to say. I feel more experienced staff needed.
