Top notch experience from start to Finnish! Food and service were both fantastic, great value, and we would happily return. Stand outs from the menu (which changes regularly and showcases local ingredients were: The rustic homemade baguette!, Goats cheese tart, Beef tongue (special of the day) and the Potato skin with olive oil and peanut Swiss roll dessert. This last dish was very unique and really worked well.

make sure to book a table, this place gets very crowded. service was lovely. for these jaw-dropping prices, i would expect more. the steak was absolutely delicious and perfectly cooked, but the rest of the dish left a lot to be desired. i would've liked more than half of a barely seasoned potato...

Excellent dinner here on my last night in Helsinki. I had a 2-course meal from their new menu. Arctic char followed by peppercorn steak. Both were delicious. The service was also faultless. I found the staff welcoming and professional, and everything very well timed. Yes, it is pricey but that’s mainly due to the wine and less so the food. I did opt for a half-glass of wine to accompany the appetiser and a full glass of red with the steak. This is refined yet unfussy food in an intimate, unpretentious atmosphere. I’ve eaten well in Helsinki but this was my best meal and overall dining experience.

Absolutely perfect dinner. Super good food and one of the best experiences overall. My husband has some food restrictions, and sometimes it becomes a little awkward when eating out, but not here! They were super accommodating and seemed to be very happy to customize dishes for him. It was the best restaurant experience for him ever. Thank you so much! Excellent food, service and atmosphere. We had the steak tartare and pepper steak. Would totally come back! Fairly priced, the desserts smelled amazing but did not have the chance to taste them, maybe next time!

Walk in only so we came early, 10 pax in the queue n we waited around 20mins so ain’t that bad. Food & Wines selection really limited & serving portions not huge as u can see from the pics. We wanted to give the Jerusalem artichoke pasta a miss but the staff highly recommended so we decided to give it a shot. The artichoke had this nutty crunch n mushroom texture, really love it. King crab pasta was really miserable on their king crab serving but sauce was umami. Overall both pasta was a little salty in our opinion but still enjoyable.

Best dinner we've had on our trip so far. Food was very good. Atmosphere was charming. Service was outstanding - our server was so helpful with every request we made and he even gave us some tips on where to go next when we asked. Pasta was fresh and flavorful. We had the ragu and the pumpkin tortellini and would other both again. Even the bread was surprisingly delicious. Very small menu 4 or 5 appetizers and 4 or mains. And it seems there is always a line (no reservations) but even at 19:30 on a Friday night, we only waited about 20 minutes.

Lovely interior and quick, attentive service. We arrived at 9 PM and were reassured by the host that everyone in line would get a table, a nice touch since they don’t take reservations. The pastas were excellent, though portions a bit small, so starters are a good idea. The wine selection was great, and the server happily explained both the wines and the dishes. A cozy, well-run restaurant that I can warmly recommend!

Be prepared to que outside on weekends. It is however completely worth it! As a group of 3, we tried all the pastas on the menu and shared. Definitely recommend sharing plates and ordering multiple starters. The main courses are quite small, I recommend ordering 3 or 4 main courses for for two people or 4-5 main courses for 3 people. The best pastas according to our table was pepper cheese pasta and the artichoke pasta. However we all liked all of them. You might get surprised but the size of their beer, but don't worry they only costs 2.5€ each, so you can order multiple. The best thing on the menu was the mocktail, it is literally the best drink I've ever tried in my life, don't miss it, you can also order it as alcohol version. The service was genuinely friendly and attentive and the atmosphere was incredible!

Hidden gem in Helsinki. Decided to take a punt on this unassuming shop but the service was super friendly which made the experience the best. Sat at the bar and the vibe was 100%. Simple alternative approach to mainstream restaurants. Everything was perfect. Engage with the staff and try everything (we did). Will recommend to everyone. Visiting for 1 day from the UK. Goose Pasta Bar is an absolute gem. The space is cozy and inviting—perfect for a relaxed, intimate meal. I started with a beautifully plated appetizer of burrata, asparagus, fresh bread, and a light vinaigrette. Every bite was fresh, balanced, and full of flavor. For the main course, the rabbit ragu was outstanding—rich, comforting, and cooked to perfection. The staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, creating a laid-back but thoughtful dining experience. Delicious food, thoughtful service, and a welcoming vibe—what more could you ask for?

Great experience eating here, queued for maybe 20 minutes on a Friday evening. Service was very attentive and warm. Jerusalem artichoke pasta was fantastic along with the salted bread, enough food for one person. Natural wine recommended by the waiter / som was a real banger and they catered for my pregnant wife with a non alcohol sparkling too. Real nice overall if you don't mind queueing

It is one of the most popular fine dining restaurants in Helsinki. I visited on a Friday for dinner, the place was almost full. So, I strongly recommend those who plan to visit shall make a reservation in advance. The high standard yet friendly service topped in my ratings. The atmosphere was also great, The pianist played soft songs that blended well with the ambiance. And, most importantly, the sound level was just right. The food tasted great with enhancing, artistic, yet practical presentation. The price point in Savoy is extremely friendly for a Michelin star rated fine dining restaurant. And as the price index here in the Nordic is high, this makes the price here even higher value for money.

One of Earth’s finest restaurants. The room, the staff and of course the dishes are all of the most exceptional levels. Miles Davis soundtrack was perfect for our lunch of fish dishes and the warmth of the folks taking care of us was sincere.

Savoy Café ☕️ Coffee — tasty, atmosphere — nice, overall everything’s good… But hey team, don’t forget to smile! Service is “technically fine”, but it’s the warmth that makes the difference. Still, definitely worth a stop for a quality cup of coffee.

I had the lobster linguine and it was absolutely delightful. The lobster was fresh and tender, paired with perfectly cooked linguine in a sauce that was creamy yet beautifully balanced — rich without being overwhelming. The staff recommended a glass of Pouilly-Fumé to go with it, and it turned out to be a perfect match. The overall setting is elegant and relaxed.

A wonderful bistro, with delicious dishes and a relaxed yet sophisticated atmosphere. It was quite busy, yet we enjoyed our stay and the staff were helpful all the time! The wine list is rather extensive, so you should definitely ask for suggestions. I had the signature cocktail, pork & celery, lobster pasta and tarte Tatin, and would recommend all of them!

Writing this as a native finn and Helsinki born individual. Really nice relaxed fine dining place. Located in a perfect spot by the legendary Esplanade Park. Big windows for you to watch the lively heart of the city. Were here with wife and 10 year old Child. Child had Gnocchies and chocolate mousse. We had the 4 course menu. Especially the white aspargus risotto blew our minds. Loved also the octopuss. Desserts were excellent. Staff was kind, authentic and warm hearted. Totally recommend this to any local or tourist. Came here for Saturday lunch and it was surprisingly quiet. We ended up ordering way too much but everything was delicious. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The restaurant itself is really pretty. I can imagine it being even more cozy and intimate in the evening. Would definitely come back!

Fantastic spot for brunch. Highly recommend and wish I had visited sooner. Will be back for dinner. Very well priced Charcuterie: Absolutely lovely. 100% order. Ordered the small portion and was enough for two. If you get the bread board as well it makes for a great pairing. Was fun to watch the meat be cut on the machine Sage linguine: Didn’t know what to expect but loved by the end of the dish. Suitable for nut allergy as they can remove the pine nuts from the top. Very summery and light. Gnocchi: Summery taste. Friend liked but thought the ratio of sauce to gnocchi wasn’t great. Needed more gnocchi. Shakahouka: Was the least popular dish at the table but the flavour was good. Eggs were fried on top rather than cooked in the tomato sauce which was different. Little spicy for those who don’t eat spice (so watch out!). Bread: Fantasic sourdough. Finland has questionable bread in my opinion but these guys have done it very well. Service: Very very friendly and attentive. Busy place when we arrived so recommend booking.

One of the best restaurants in Helsinki – and still a hidden gem! I’m genuinely surprised this place isn’t packed every night. We walked in without a reservation and were blown away by the whole experience. The food is not just seasonal and fresh – it’s full of talent, charisma, and a deep understanding of what makes something truly delicious. I was especially impressed by the salads. The Panzanella salad was so tasty I honestly wished they served it in an XXL size! I'm not always a fan of fish, but their fillet with yogurt-herb sauce and beans had the perfect flavor, texture, and a touch of Greek summer. The small churros made from fish were bursting with spice and taste. But what really made the evening unforgettable was the atmosphere – warm, welcoming, and relaxed – and the incredibly attentive staff. Nollita is a place I’ll keep coming back to, and one I hope stays just the way it is: quietly excellent.

We came here for an impromptu Thursday night dinner. I would highly recommend Nolita for an easygoing, delicious evening. The aesthetics and atmosphere are wonderful, much like at Elm, Nolita's sister. Most restaurants in Helsinki are somewhat bland or lifeless in that regard; here, you feel like you're transported somewhere. The food was very good, and in particular the starters were amazing. I think next time I'll just order starters because they were so delicious. That's not to say the mains weren't good - we enjoyed especially the gnocchi. One of the waiters (the dude) was perhaps trying to sell us extra a bit too hard, but the other one (the woman) was fantastic.

Nolita left a sour note with its handling of wine service: the light red was brought to the table at clear room temperature, far too warm to enjoy, and when questioned the staff insisted it had been kept in a 10°C fridge, even though the bottles were visibly sitting on a shelf at ambient temperature. Such dismissiveness only made matters worse. In a country where wine is already expensive, it feels careless and disrespectful to serve it so poorly and then deny what is obvious to any customer paying attention.

Our recent visit to Nolita in Helsinki was a mixed bag. While the interior is super nice and the mains were delicious, unfortunately, the ambiance was not complemented by the service we received. Despite having a reservation, we were not greeted warmly or with any hospitality. Instead, we were met with a curt "Can I help you somehow?" No one welcomed us or guided us to our table properly. Only one menu was tossed onto the table for the two of us, which felt dismissive. Since I really wanted to visit Nolita for a long time already, we stayed and ordered the bread plate with dips for two, a burger, and shakshuka. The wait for our food was excessively long. Even the bread plate, which you'd expect to be a quick starter, took about 15 minutes to arrive. The waiter sliced the bread using his hands, without a towel or proper hygiene measures, and then left it waiting for the dips for another like 5 minutes. This was not only unprofessional but also concerning from a hygiene perspective. As a bakery, we had high expectations for the bread plate, but it was a disappointment. The plate consisted of four thin, almost transparent slices of bread on one plate and half slices of grain bread on the other. The burger and shakshuka were good, which made the experience a bit nicer. The burger was juicy and flavorful, and the shakshuka was interesting and delicious - not traditional one, mixed with zucchini and potato. However, these dishes alone were not enough to redeem the overall experience. Even when we finished our meal, it took quite a time for the bill to arrive. The waiters were engaged in conversation with other customers, possibly regulars or friends, and at one point, one of them went outside to play with a child. This lack of attention was frustrating, especially as we were trying to conclude our brunch experience. In summary, while the beautiful interior and enjoyable mains were definite highlights, the uninviting atmosphere and service issues significantly affected our visit. Unfortunately, double thinking now before trying the dinner menu (even though the menu looks very interesting).

I recently visited Mamma Rosa and had a great experience overall. The service was excellent, definitely a 5/5. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made us feel very welcome. The ambiance was cozy and pleasant, with a warm and inviting atmosphere, though I’d rate it a solid 4/5 just because the space could use a little more variety in décor to enhance the experience. As for the menu, there were plenty of delicious options to choose from. I’d give it a 4/5 because some dishes could be a bit more adventurous, but everything we ordered was fresh and tasty. All in all, a very enjoyable dining experience, and I’d definitely return. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a cozy meal.

Spicy tomato soup was amazing and the chocolate fondant the best I’ve ever eaten. Beef filet was good and cooked to the right temperature but was lacking some spices, the potato that came with it was also a bit too bland. The sauce, onion and mustard mayo were really good though. Excellent service and a cool atmosphere. Not too pricey considering the location and quality.

Had a lunch here today, we ordered Salmon soup, beefsteak and my favourite herring with cream brûlée and ice cream with coffee for dessert. Dinner was quite nice, the staff was friendly and food was good. I got the Artist’s menu with meat, the soup was a little bit spicy but good, the main course was tasteful and the creme brule was nice but a tad bit too sweet. However the atmosphere was nice and our server turned out to be Estonian as well so that was a lovely surprise!

Having two-time experience downstairs at Basbas Kulma, it was difficult to manage my expectation, especially I had to stay late after 00:00 to make the reservation for a newly available day on the calendar. Maybe I have missed something, but I cannot tell the concept difference between the two restaurants. Well the vibe downstairs was more lively. The food I ordered was just average this time, the grilled seabass was tasty, but the starter whitefish was too sour and the risotto too salty. I will still be a fan of Basbas:)

Aug. 12/25: 3.5 Stars, food missed the mark as it just wasn’t up to par compared to BasBas Kulma (we ate here three days ago). The scallops were unfortunately bland, the daily fish, in this case Pike was overpowered by the tomato, so with this it simply wasn’t a meal that will remembered fondly. Maybe our expectations were too high. The service was terrific!!

Went here a few weeks ago - amazing all around! Food was seasoned perfectly. And i like that some dishes leaned more fresh acidic & others more rich umami. Highlights for me was the pasta dish, the caesar salad, and the paris brest dessert. I really wanted to like the tartar more but it could’ve been served colder with some crunchier element beyond the pickled daikon. Nonetheless, all were still tasty and the wines recommended are decent and good. Service was very nice and friendly too!

Did some research on high quality restaurants, and based on all the recommendations Vinkkeli had received, decided to book a table. And true enough, the glowing reviews were on spot. High quality of service, absolutely beautiful interiors, beautiful tableware were first indicators that this was a great selection. We decided on the four course menu, which was well explained by the staff member. Everything worked, dished were absolutely excellent, paired well with recommended wines. I was especially impressed by how well different allergies were taken into account – we felt safe and well looked after the entire time. All around an amazing dinner. We took one of the set menus with wine pairings. We did swap out one of the desserts as my partner doesn’t like coconut at all but they provided a perfect alternative. Staff were attentive and knowledgeable. Food was spectacular and delicious. The restaurant was cozy and elegant. Recommend making a reservation but we did book the day we ate there. This was a great meal to end our visit to Helsinki. If you want a high quality meal that is not extremely expensive this is the place to go. Can be romantic, good for business or a nice meal out .

We also loved the setting, perfect for people watching and soaking in the local vibe. If you're in Helsinki, vegan or not, Yes Yes Yes is a must. We happened to turn up at Yes Yes Yes on a Sunday and mothers day – so lots of things closed and busy. They were full but squeezed us in. They were running a set menu of small plates. Outstanding! Everything was great – we particularly liked the fried gnocci and the risotto. The tofu sticks were delicate with a great dip/sauce. Lovely wine. Service was particularly attentive and very upbeat. Definitely one to go back to.

Had dinner here a couple months ago with my friends (a party of four) and I have to say that I hugely recommend! We had two starters to share, four main courses and two desserts. The food itself was above average good, but for example the bread-dip ratio in the tandoori bread thingy was a little off. My friend said her risotto was amazing and I especially loved the sourness of the rhubarb sauce with my asparagus. Plus point for the dishes that change seasonally to honour the ingredients that are currently at their best! The service could only be received in English but that didn’t bother us, on the contrary! The staff were friendly and polite and eager to recommend dishes and explain the differences between menus. The atmosphere was pleasant too. Definitely worth another visit! <3

We had reservations on March 13th while on our 20th wedding anniversary European trip and we are still thinking about this experience! This was absolutely amazing and everything was delicious. We opted for the vegan tasting menu and the chef accommodated my preference for no mushrooms. I circled my favorites in the photos but every single creation exceeded my expectations. The tomato, oregano and red currant pie was the best thing I have ever eaten in my life! Wow! We have never gone to a place like this before. It was interesting to watch the chefs cook, the servers explained each of the dishes and the chef greeted us on our way out. Everyone was very professional. The attention to detail was next level. Highly recommend this restaurant. If we ever return to Helsinki, we will definitely go back. Heck, it’s worth the return specifically to go here. I took a million photos of the food and am posting them to share.

The staff are top notch professionals with loads of personality. I opted for the non-alcoholic pairing with the vegetarian menu (slightly altered from vegan version) and felt they all were deliciously spot on for complementing the course. Great restaurant with fantastic, attentive service. Food was for the most part amazing as well. Some dishes in particular were very memorable (like the scallop and the king crab with rose hip), while some dishes were good but not amazing (like the duck fat doughnut). Wine pairings were mixed. We booked here for an anniversary celebration and were not disappointed. The food, wine matching and service were all impeccable as you’d expect. I particularly enjoyed the summer veg and fish soup inspired starters. They have one sitting at 8pm and they bring each couple inside in turn, to a chorus of “hei” which makes it feel friendly and welcoming.

Enjoyed our dinner overall. A small mistake on the drink order and a rather long wait time to receive drinks but after that everything went well. We tried 5 different pastas, few starters and desserts. Food was good and as expected a bit better pasta than in your regular diner. Can still be improved to get closer to perfection but we left satisfied.

I've been to Locanda Scappi several times now and the food never disappoints. Especially their Cacio e Pepe ravioli with sage and butter sauce hits the spot. Personnel is very knowledgeable and friendly. Only slight improvement to be made is the appetizer/side prices - 17 euros for an appetizer and 9 euros for a side of essentially 8 pieces of potato is a bit over the top. Lovely food though!

Surprisingly charming dumpling spot with great service Hill’s Dumplings really impressed us. From the outside you might not expect much, but inside it’s cozy, lively, and clearly popular — we were glad we booked ahead. We tried the pan-fried chicken dumplings, chicken satay dumplings, a pork bao bun, plus rice and salad on the side. Everything was delicious and exactly what you hope for from a place like this, in the best way possible. Portions were just right and the food came out quickly. Staff were incredibly friendly, spoke great English, and stayed attentive without pushing tips or hovering. It can get a bit busy and tables are close together, so expect a lively, medium-noise vibe rather than a quiet dinner. Overall, great food, amazing service, and definitely worth a visit.

We booked hills for a large bachelorette party. We had different eating restrictions and allergies that we asked to be catered for, and hills delivered above and beyond! They were incredibly attentive, supportive and great hosts! I can not recommend them enough! Thank you so much to the whole team that helped make the night amazing for the bride and the group!

My wife and I specifically targeted Hills Dumplings based on some recommendations and were wildly impressed! With a sort of fresh-ish take on a traditional dumpling house, the shop is nestled just a short flight of stairs off the street. Pop by the counter and place an order during lunch- we swung by around 1300 on a Thursday afternoon and while the place had several groups, there was no wait for a table. I highly recommend their dumpling lunch combination; my wife and I tried all 3 varieties of theirs and were surprised to find it hard to pick a single favourite- the satay was particularly interesting if you're down to try something new; but I'm a traditionalist and loved their good 'ole fashioned pan fried dumplings. Their pork bao is great too! For the price this is one of the more impressive little hidden gems of wildly high quality food and quick service you can find on a trip through the city. The first round of dumplings was more than sufficient but we found ourselves ordering another lunch order to share just because we were THAT impressed and wanted to try everything! Can't recommend it enough if you're in the area (or even if you're not- worth a trip out of your way for a great lunch).

Hungry before the show I b-lined to here. Unfortunately as I approached a lot of other people seemed to have the same idea. Which is a good sign if the locals eat here but I backed out of the stairwell feeling overwhelmed. Bracing myself I re entered and in all fairness was rapidly seen to and miraculously a table found for me. I was sat to the right side where it was actually pretty chilled and cosy. As you can imagine they mostly serve dumplings here. I chose the duck gyoza style in satay and the fish curry dumplings. To drink I had this tasty cocktail of sorts which tasted nice and strong. I am not exaggerating when I say these are some of the best dumplings I've ever consumed. They were the perfect texture, flavour and just wow. The service was very attentive and approachable. Would highly recommend and perhaps book to be on the safe side.

Great dumpling spot for sitting outside on patio. The dumplings come served up your way steam, fried, or brothed. Very tasty. We had the chicken steamed. Also got the pork bao buns. Very large in side and good flavor, but a little to dense and to much dough for my liking. Beer was delicious but hard to mess up.

Average portion of dumpling is quite small to adult so consider take ALL-IN portion. Nice food, nice staffs and good atmosphere.

Visited Bardot with my son and friends on a beautiful Saturday evening this Summer! Excellent food, superb location, friendly and knowledgeable staff with lots of wine! Wine selection is excellent and you can also ask to get pairing suggestions for your food. This is not the cheapest but guaranteed quality food in the heart of Helsinki.

The food and the service are truly amazing. We started with the Rockefeller oysters along with chips, and both were absolutely fantastic—fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. For our mains, we had the entrecôte and the steak au poivre, and they were cooked to perfection, tender, and bursting with flavor. The quality of the ingredients really shines through, and everything was beautifully presented. The staff was attentive without being intrusive, making the whole dining experience smooth and enjoyable. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, perfect for a relaxed evening or a special occasion.

Upon arrival, we waited for about an hour before we were able to order drinks. Soon after, we found out that the dishes we had planned to order were not available. The main course we did receive was so overly salted that it was impossible to eat (I usually enjoy quite salty food, but even for me, it was too much). My companion left their main course uneaten. We were disappointed with the food, and the service was also slow.

Bardot fully deserves its Michelin 2024 status. The setting is charming, calm, and in easy walking distance to the piers and main sightseeing areas. Our meal here highlighted the local fish, but the profiteroles with comte stole the show. We enjoyed the dishes and the excellent service throughout, and we would eagerly return when in Helsinki again.

This place’s baristas creates the best looking coffees I have experienced so far. It wasn’t very cozy — maybe because of the size of the space, the loud music, the lighting, or how the chairs were arranged. Either way, I didn’t feel completely comfortable sitting there. I thought about taking off a star for that, but the staff were kind and made up for it. 4 | The café sells a wide variety of their roasted beans. They even have a takeaway window, so you can pretty much grab a coffee straight from the tram. 5 | To go with the coffee, they offer both sweet and savory pastries.

House blend is a dark roast (not my favourite) and therefore I picked the single origin. Milk is of the right temperature and texture. Tasty.

The ambience is relatively alright and the food was good. It’s not the typical Italian pizza, but it holds its own. We tried the Tel Aviv and Pan Con Tomate pizzas, along with the house crisps and 2 glasses of wine. We were greeted with a smile by the lady at the counter, who then told us that we could proceed to any table of our choice. We chose a table by the window, which had probably been vacated recently as the table was a little dirty. Our server appeared with two glasses and a water jug, and hurriedly went on to place them on the table. He turned to leave, however I requested him to clean the table, which he did. He was sweet, but a little distracted. He then handed over the food menus, but not the drink menus, which we had to request later on. Whilst ordering the drinks, my friend asked the server whether any of the wines were organic, which he did not know, but went on to check. He returned saying that “he does not know whether they were organic, but knew that one of them was from Spain”...whilst illogical and unrelated, it certainly was funny! Next, we enquired about the grape variety of two of the wines, since only their names and countries were given. Again, there was a lack of awareness (the wine menu was limited, so was really not a hard ask), as the server had to go back to the bar to check them from the bottles. My friend ordered a glass of the white and I ordered the red; the order was repeated as well. When we got the drinks, both were white. I politely mentioned the same to the server, he acknowledged the error and changed the glass. He also mentioned that he had been working in another Skiffer and this was his first day at this location; I completely empathise since I’m from the same industry, however the guest should not be feeling like it’s your first day. I doubt the menu is different between the two locations, so the errors seemed more due to lack of attention. Furthermore, cleaning the table and providing the drinks menu are things for which the guest should not need to prompt, regardless of the restaurant. Overall, a relatively decent outing, but only because of the food really. Also, the lady at the counter was pleasant. The server, too, was smiling through the errors, which made it bearable. Not sure if I’d return though.

Excellent naepolitan pizza. Tomato sauce was fresh, bright, a bit cherry-tomato alike and very-very tasty! Salami was just right, thin and crispy at the edges. Mozzarella supported the flavours and dough was about perfect. Ps. Best tomato-sauce on pizza I have had ever - exactly right 💪

Rorza truly impressed from start to finish. The service was outstanding—friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home. The food? Absolutely amazing. For our 13th wedding anniversary, I chose Forza Pizzeria as the venue. My hubby was shocked at my unorthodox, almost frivolous choice. I reassured him, however, that I had thought it through carefully: a) it’s been ranked the 22nd best pizza restaurant in Europe, b) pizza is his absolute favorite food, and c) we could easily book a table for two at the last minute. When we arrived, we were warmly greeted by the waitress. I had requested a window seat when making the booking, and my wish was granted. As usual, we ordered a pizza similar to the Diavola called “Stay Hot” (I think; €19). The prosecco was icy cold and bubbly—just the way I like it (10,20€). At the end of the meal, the waitress surprised us with an on-the-house tiramisu that tasted exquisite. I would definitely recommend this

Terrible service. The waiter made us feel uncomfortable since the beginning. Also, for a table of six, the pizzas came out three at a time at a distance of 15 minutes or so. The pizza is good, but not exceptional. We tried four different pizzas and too many toppings made the bottom a little uncooked while parts of the crust were just burnt.

These are the kind of places to write home about. I ate the best pizza in Finland so far here. The place has a fantastic reputation so I had high expectations but they were met at the very least. We took Stay hot and Parmigiana, both were fantastic but I would definitely recommend Stay hot with burrata on top. Very warm and considerate staff.

Excellent customer service, super tasty salmon soup. I warmly recommend this place. Especially because nobody came to complain when I sat down with all our shopping bags while my husband dealt with the order. The dill oil is a nice addition to the salmon soup! Very democratic prices also.

An intimate and atmospheric place in a beautiful building in a great location. I had an excellent pressed lamb with seasonal vegetables. A very balanced dish. In my companion's dish, the pike perch had been replaced by whitefish, but it was a fantastic dish. The fish, braised in browned butter, was heavenly. The wine recommendation was also spot on. The dessert of creme brule with strawberry-black pepper sorbet was also a positive surprise. The fresh sorbet made the portion well balanced.

We truly enjoyed our visit! Selected appetizers, main courses and desserts from the list to taste different kinds. Would recommend choosing similar amount as in the 5 course menu. Fantastic service, cozy atmosphere and great wine suggestions. Would visit again!

Absolutely delicious salmon tartar and regular tartar. Their fries were perfection, my favorite fries I’ve had in ages in Helsinki. Their wine selection was really good and tip: ask the waiter if they have any good/interesting wine bottle open that is not on the menu. You might very well be lucky! Overall love this place: food is amazing, service is outstanding and nothing beats sitting outside on Bulevardi on a summer evening.

I had left a note in my reservation about tartar, but it was not addressed and the first course was tartar without any check from the staff. This left me with the feeling that attention to detail in service could be improved. Compared to other Michelin-mentioned restaurants in Helsinki, the experience felt less polished, especially in terms of atmosphere and service. Overall, good food but feels more like a casual restaurant than fine dining.

We have never experienced such poor service compared to similar restaurants in Helsinki. Here’s a summary of our experience: (1) We ordered the 5-course menu, but only received four courses when it came time for dessert, the waitress validated with the kitchen and informed us, “I have no idea why we didn’t serve you the starter.” (2) The wine was poured while I was in the restroom, with no opportunity to taste or see the bottle. I had to specifically ask about which wine was served. (3) Since we only received four out of five courses, the restaurant offered a 20% discount. However, I had also opted out of the cheese plate, meaning I effectively only received a 3-course meal. Despite this, the discount was applied to the full 5-course menu price. (4) My friend and I paid separately, but despite ordering different wines and courses (he had four courses while I had three), the waitress simply split the bill evenly between us. This was not only inaccurate but also frustrating. While the food was refined, the service was neither attentive nor respectful.

Very big disappointment. Have never seen this level place with THIS horrible service. Makes me feel that you could just buy a place in Michelin guide. The menus were never explained, not a word about the courses. We ordered olives, that were not brought. When we ask the waiter (makes me think it was a shift manager or such, as other waitresses were asking him for advice, a tall guy with glasses) about our olives his reaction was -A!! No apologies or anything. (Later on, they did not include the olives in the check, let’s say it was a sign of apology…….) I had white fish crudo for the starter, which had lots of sauce and a spoon was supposed to be brought with it. (The other waitress brought the same dish for the other table with the spoon at the very beginning and the guests did not have to ask for it separately). When my wife finished her starter and I was still eating, the same guy just took away her plate without asking e.g. if she enjoyed the food or anything. That was just gross violation of service rules . Makes me feel the guy never worked in a restaurant before and does not even know the basics. As to the food, it was ok, nothing special. Presentation was average, as well as the taste. Though, I was amazed with the wines- there were brilliant. Overall, it is not worth it. I’m so shocked how place with this kind of service could be in Michelin guide Would not recommend.

Food has always been great, excellent espresso, cappucino, people super friendly and they will show love for your bike! One of my fav places to come work for a little and meet friends/work colleagues in Helsinki. Easy access by bike, metro, bus or car.

Fantastic brunch or dinner spot offering great food, homemade pasta, Kahiwa coffee (read- fantastic coffee), super tasty bread and nice vibes. I love how spacious the restaurant is and how nice the service is. I am usually very picky when it comes to pancakes but blueberry jam with spices and vanilla cream just stole the show!

Cycling eatery in Helsinki! Restaurant, bar, bike service and shop all in the same building. Food is fresh and tasty, atmosphere is relaxed and staff is very nice. Selection of simple but high quality portions with reasonable price is a winning combo. Asparagus risotto was the best I've had in Helsinki. Edit May 2023: Peloton is now serving high quality home made pasta. Highly recommended. All this excellent restaurant setup is combined with a proper bike shop and service atmosphere. You can bring your bike in if you are not carrying a lock, you can stock up with supplies for your ride or get your bike fixed while you down few quality beers. The shop has good selection of mtb, road and gravel stuff for sale. You have shirts for DH as well as jerseys for your gravel rides, there is full collection of flat mtb shoes and so much more. Service menu is wide and the prices are reasonable. This is a huge step for cycling culture in Helsinki and Peloton will most certainly be the hub for cyclist in this city. Good stuff!

Everything about this restaurant is great. The atmosphere is great as we managed to book a somewhat private table for our group. The service was great as well. As for the food. Our meal is shared dishes, which means we share the food instead of individual portions. And everything was great. The beef tartare and the steak were great. Cooked perfectly. Their salad and homemade bread is another level as well. The potato was also great. Their desert wine was tasty. And the desert itself was also great. It didn't look like an appetite but one bite is enough to change your mind. Overall it was a great experience and I recommend this restaurant if you have the chance.

BasBas Kulma has a 4.6 rating for a reason (I am surprised it’s not higher), everything about it is unique and the food is absolutely delicious. VIKTOR & HIU ensured our experience was nothing less than remarkable, thank you both once again!! Because of the terrific customer service & spectacular food we are dining in the upstairs bistro in three days to experience yet another aspect of BasBas, can’t wait!!!!

4.49* 😉 Likeable bistro with decent quality plates and great service. The wines by the glass are ok, but I'd love some premium offers, although most glasses are already a sobering €12.50+. The plates we tried were good, though the flavour profiles didn't lift them to 5*. The team was amazing. Really good. Overall, it is a worthwhile stop, but short of a must do destination.

I decided on full dinner for 54€. Amazing pre courses. Main courses was good but not as fun or interesting as pre courses. Beef tung was not great. With drinks landed on about 110€ Loved the staff and feeling. Was worth it as a whole. - for no Swedish speaking staff or menu’s.

Cons - Below average pizza. Limited flavour selection (6 only). We tried 4 flavours, except for the mushroom one, all were so so. The toppings are almost non-existent. We decided not to order more 😭 Pros - Service is fast, ambiance is warm with good customer service and almost full house.

Delicious pizza with a cool NYC concept where you can order by slices, and each slice is huge! I often only need two slices, which makes it an affordable meal of only 10-12€. I can definitely recommend their Blondie which is a basic cheese with chilly and garlic pizza, their Pepperonis with hot honey is simply heaven, and the Special which changes every week or so.

Tasty pizza at a fair price. While it may not be the best I’ve ever had, it definitely hits the spot—especially considering the value. The place is quite small, and when we arrived in the mid-afternoon, it was already packed, which speaks volumes about its popularity with the locals. They serve pizza by the slice, each one generously sized and priced around 5€–6€ depending on the type you order. Some varieties cost a bit more, but overall, I’d say it’s worth the money. There’s also some outdoor seating available.

It gets easily a little crowded, but avoid the rush hours with a little planning, and you'll be very well rewarded with what is easily one of the best pizzas in Finland. Don't forget to try the stracciatella cheese on top!

probably the best pizza in helsinki. we got blondie and pepporini and both of them was very good. The slices are really big so it is alright for their price. One slice was 5.5€. However the drinks and the wines are overexpensive I would say. Regardless a really nice place to eat in Kallio.

Amazing new york style pizza, very cozy place, friendly staff. We have tried the pepperoni, mushroom, blondie, the special and rossa, all amazing! although the prices have incresead around 0.5-1 euro per slice since the last menu upload online ( 6 months ago ). They don t accept reservation, so be ready to wait for some time as the place is almost full every hour they are open, but 100% worth the wait. !Keep in mind the place only accepts card only payment!

I received the wrong order after waiting for over 20 minutes. Then, I had to wait another 20 minutes for everything I actually ordered with mushrooms. Not only did I not get the mushrooms, but they also added a variety of greens to the dish, which I’m allergic to. This ingredient wasn't mentioned in the menu. Unfortunately, this was my first experience, and it turned out to be a disappointing one.

Went in this evening as I'm travelling and know the chain well and wanted something familiar after a long travel day. Was nice and cool walking in, lots of tables to choose from inside and out. All started great, as usual with Vapiano, after about 5 mins of ordering, someone came up with a pizza which I said wasn't mine, a couple more minutes past, still not 10 mins after I ordered, another dish, not mine gets offered to me. Then I think its a third but apparently this is mine, I'd ordered bruscetta and carbonara, the carbonara with plain ciabatta on a side plate. I ask about my bruscetta, the waitress tells me the bread IS bruscetta. So I tell her ive paid €3.50 for extra buratta and theres no tomatoes and the bread isn't toasted. She looked at me blankly. I showed her my order and remind her I ordered a starter and cpuld she take my main meal back until ive had my starter. She didnt. She just left, took the plain bread and said shed check my bruscetta. The bruscetta then doesn't come out for another 15 mins. Around 25 mins after I'd ordered and 15 mins after I'd received my main dish. I then asked the second waitress who delivered the bruscetta about the situation and if I could get a refund since that's a starter and she offered me a drink (I got the big water for myself so not looking for a freebie). This server then apologised a few times and said it was 'really busy' when i picked it because it wasnt busy! But was clear the staff didnt want to help anymore. Not impressed with this Vapiano at all. Staff cpuld do with some training from another branch that actually knows how to deal with a half empty restaurant and mistakes. Very frustrating. See the 'really busy' restaurant in my photos. Food was standard vapiano but the service left a sour taste in my mouth so just wasn't as enjoyable all around.

Went with my girls, loved the cocktails and desserts. It’s now our hangout spot for girls night. Loved everything about the place. Staff is polite.

I advise you of not going there. The Pasta Pesto was so hard and sticky, felt like a whole piece of dough. It was the same with the Pasta Carbonara. We asked them to remake the Pasta Carbonara, it looked normal again, but super salty.

Vapiano here was not delicious compared to other branches in other European countries. I don't usually complain too much but I have to say that they must improve the quality of food. We saw the next table also left food unfinished.

It is expensive. Americsni 5.20, the famaus dessert 9.90. The buffet in the weekdays is more affordable and you can refill your table&coffee. They can give you an hour if you came without reservation. I came here sunday 11:30 and it was really bussy inside. But they are saying that your order will be in 15 min. So it is good to be informed.

Very authentic cafe in Helsinki and pastries were nice. Hot chocolate is also tasty. Recommend sitting outside if it’s not too cold. Very nice service from the staffs.

Oldest Bakery in Helsinki. We decided to start our day here for breakfast and experience the oldest cafe. During the week breakfast is a buffet.. a very good buffet at that. We did also order a cinnamon bun as well and it was awesome. Staff were so cute and lovely. The atmosphere felt modern but also historic. We enjoyed our breakfast here. I have heard there is long lines for the bakery but we were here really early and not in high season so there were no crowds. You can make reservations for breakfast.

Staff helped me to choose the cake. I had budapest cake. It was softer and smoother with mandarin inside. Coffee could be improved.I added open buffet pictures as well.

Lovely cafe for brunch, the buffet was popular but I was a bit late. A small error in my order was resolved by the love staff. Highly recommend! And they make a great flat white 🙏🏽

Absolute must-visit if you love cafés. This one has gorgeous interior, amazing staff and the best sweets. The cinnamon bun I had was huge, full of spices and butter. Many people here argue that it is too expensive but we spent 30 euros incl. the tip and I would pay even more for this experience.

Stopped at Cafe Ekberg (est. 1852, the oldest cafe in Helsinki, Finland) for a quick 30-minute coffee and sweets break before catching our ferry back to Tallinn, Estonia. The outside seating by the window was almost full, so we were lucky to grab one small spot. The interior has an interesting, historic vibe that reflects the cafe’s long tradition. As for the taste, I personally didn’t find anything extraordinary in the sweets or coffee we had, but it was still pleasant overall. Worth a visit if you want to experience a piece of Helsinki’s history.

The place was pretty empty when we went there so the atmosphere was quiet. We had to order at the bar and the food came pretty quickly. My friend got the caesar salad and i got the kill bill wokit. The food itself was pretty good but my food tasted like there was absolutely no salt added to it. I had to add salt every 2 bites. But it could be just my taste 🤷‍♀️. Prices were good. The portions were huge for us (and i usually can eat a lot). Overall a nice experience.

Had a great experience at Cafe Bar 9 in Helsinki! I ordered the pasta pesto with fresh spinach, it was absolutely delicious. The staff were super friendly, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. A bit better air conditioning would make it even more comfortable, but overall it’s a lovely spot. Definitely recommended!

Super glad I found this place!! Tried the traditional salmon soup and it was SO YUM! The price is also so much lesser than a restaurant. Staff are very friendly and great atmosphere inside.

This places feels like a canteen, where people on a low budget would go to or students etc. The decor was uninspiring and sad. The one bar man was super busy but quite friendly, he needs more help with taking food/ drink orders and serving drinks. Food service was slow but I’ll try and be positive, that this was because everything was freshly made to order. They do a meal deal, didn’t try it myself. Salmon soup with bread was very good, but the lemon chicken pasta was terrible. Prices were too high when considering the surroundings and food quality

Such good food in Helsinki. Definitely a local gem! We ate there pretty late 9:30pm~ summer sun had messed up our hunger/timing. Salmon soup and salmon pasta were divine. Service was great. Art was cool. Loved it!

Second time visiting and limoncello pasta is maybe one of the best dishes I have eaten. The staff is great and friendly. Only problem with this place (property) is, that when the restaurant is crowded, the noise level goes way too high. Both of the times I visited it felt like my eardrums were going to explode.

A nice, small, and casual restaurant specializing in pasta and noodles. I went there to try the Pollo Limonello pasta — it was delicious with a creamy, tangy flavor, but a bit on the heavier side. The portion was generous, and I couldn’t quite finish it, but I really enjoyed the taste!

Last 23 December I go for Dinner and tried Calzone.The Calzone was so yummy and I ate the whole thing, even though it was quite heavy for one person. Dish was went well with the sauce and ham. Perfectly cooked and the Calzone was amazing.👌👌

Very good dood and exceptional service. If you're looking for Italian then this is the place to go. We were out doing a lot of site seeing and the kids were craving pasta, basically looking for carbs. They asked for Panera or Olive Garden, I brought them here and they were very happy with it. Said it was They best they ever had, with exception of our favorite family-owned place we visit back home. Basically, if you need Italian then you should be happy here! Service was also excellent!

Great location for lunch and dinner, across from a busy shopping centre, close to the historical sites and museum. The food was great and the service staff were wonderful. Alongside your food order you get access to their fresh salad bar as well.

Price did not justify quality, quantity or service. 5 pieces of relatively small shrimps with a pasta that was called ‘jättikatkarapu…’. Which is large shrimp… in English.

Perfectly located restaurant in the heart of Helsinki, next to Stockmann. Service and staff were really friendly, food absolutely tasty and well done. Its a bit of a dark patio though hampering the atmosphere on a sunny summer day in Helsinki. However, this is one of the better places for people who appreciate food.

Food was delicious and they have big portions. We had the tomato pasta with garlic chilli prawns, lemon risotto (which was the seasonal special) and the portobello pizza. Price is a little bit higher, but the food was yummy.

They have a salad table and tea/coffee on the house during lunch time. The lemon risotto was tasty, caramelized onion was such a highlight. All the staff are nice but Sybila was delightful, always smiling and making small jokes. Would be nice if the menu have more different pasta dishes.

We stopped here for quick lunch. We had 2 pizzas : margarita and prosciutto. They were delicious. The crust is perfectly soft with a nice char, and the toppings are fresh and flavorful. The atmosphere is cozy and lively, making it a great spot for both casual meals and special occasions. Service can be a bit slow during busy hours, but the quality of the food makes it worth the wait. Also cappuccino and latte was delicious. It served with a little cookie and chocolate. Great food and great location. Went there with a friend because we heard it was one of the best places not only in Finland but also worldwide. The pizza and dessert (I had prosciutto e funghi and then tiramisu) was fantastic, service was excellent, and it wasn't crowded or noisy at all. Nice and quiet place for good food, and the price felt very reasonable.

Prior to my visit I learnt that it's the first and only pizzeria in Finland certified by the True Neapolitan Pizza Association (AVPN). And it increased my curiosity even more. The results? Hands down one of the best pizza experiences of my life. Honestly, I might not have had a better pizza even in Italy. This is exactly what I look for in a pizza, and they deliver it perfectly. I visited the place twice and tried four different pizzas in total. The dough, the cheese and the sauce were so amazing together that the one satisfied me most was their classic Margherita. 100% recommend, no doubt.

Pizza was OK. We had a Marghareta and Puttanesca 2.0 It was good solid pizza but dough and tomato sauce was lacking flavour. That made marghareta leaving something misding. In puttanesca, all strong salty toppings made it closer. But all in all... place was good mood and servicevand everything else great.

I loved my Ponente pizza! My family members had different pizzas with mixed reviews. The pizzas were Bambino (kids) Ham (too sweet and gummy to my son), Diavola (just right per my son), and Boscosa (unique, good, but uncertain for pizza per my father). Tiramisu tasted good. Very good service and calm atmosphere. Worth a visit, especially if you like pizza and visiting nearby including at Helsinki Cathedral. Beautiful and short walk to the restaurant.

Pizza was great. Was not scorched. Had taste. Although the tomatosauce was a bit soggy. Still dough managed to be very firm. Asked for olive oil as side order. They put it directly on pizza. Didnt bother though. Also ordered two beers. Had to remind the waitress to bring them. Pizza was probably the best napolitan i have had in Finland. So i thought to go for a tiramisu. But unfortunately the tiramisu was very wet and soggy. Overall it was a good experience. Although a bit pricey. If you visit Finland. I recommend to try a good old ”känkky and beer” from sivuraide or any other local pizzeria. 😂

We had a couple of drinks on a Saturday night around the corner and this place was the ultimate location to go for dinner. With a 10 minute waiting time, no complaints in regards to the speed of the food being served. It took 10-15 minutes after making our order to receive my Cacio e pepe pizza. Delicious! Some more meat, in this case Guanciale, could have been added to be honest. Interesting name for a pizza, as the pasta variant does not contain meat. It would have been a carbonara pizza? Nevertheless, I would come back to try the other pizzas:) Ohh, and the home made tiramisu is tasty too!

Not satisfying the expectations. Nice place, well decorated, good atmosphere, however the food is not good at all. Very basic, simple, trying to mix flavours without any sense at all. Probably expensive for what you get, fish of the day was just grilled and nothing else. Beetroot carpaccio simple. Dessert was good really good. Maybe there are more options in Helsinki, will search…

Our waiter, older lady, was extremely rude and had an attitude like she was better than us customers. My boyfriend requested to have the steak without mushrooms and she told him it was of course possible. When we got our food she served him a plate with mushrooms and didn’t recall him requesting to remove the mushrooms. She explicitly accused him not letting her know in advance! Then the waitress proceeded to “make the dish again” - in reality she just scraped the mushrooms off the plate and served it as new in 2 minutes. He ate the steak but felt disgusted even thinking it had touched mushrooms. Rest assured, we will not be attending again.

We went to celebrate our first time in Helsinki and boy was it an amazing experience! I personally had a Negroni that was just like I love! Than I had the salmon with a poached egg and it was delicious! For the desert, I had a full coconut desert and it was fresh and delicious! This restaurant is a bit pricey but in my opinion it's worth it, the ingredients are such high quality! Plus the waitress was adorable!

Will not return. Found bone in the meatballs, sweaty pork flavor, and a major downgrade in quality. This used to be my go-to place for Swedish meatballs. They used to be rich, comforting, and made with beef. Now they’ve switched to 100 percent pork, and it shows. The flavor is sweaty and off. I bit into hard chunks of bone and cartilage. One bite nearly chipped my tooth. I’ve attached photos. Yup, that really came out of a meatball. The color was a pale grey beige. The dish came without lingonberries, which are a standard in any proper Swedish version. Used to always come with the dish. I asked, and was told you now have to request them separately. That makes no sense. It’s like eating fries without ketchup, you just don’t. This was clearly a cost-cutting move, and it’s lost them a loyal customer. My family and I won’t be back unless they bring back the original all-beef recipe. If you have come this far thanks you reading, go somewhere else if you’re looking for meatballs. Btw did not get a discount or apologies only ”I will inform the chef”. I gave the waiter my feedback already, this is not news for then. This is for you, the customer.

We got up to the 2nd floor restaurant to experience our first Finnish food. We simply enjoyed it. I was amazed by the collection of old books as a display. Burata? My first experience the kind of cheese as an entrée

Beautiful sit-down, full service restaurant upstairs! I enjoyed the planned course menu with prawn starter and chateaubriand entree. The blueberry crumble was a miss--it did not taste right. One friend tried the truffle menu, and shared a taste of each course, which was delightful! I really enjoyed the beautiful decor of the restaurant and the views as the sun set. Would love to return on my next trip!

Had a Finnish sauna there!! Really nice experience. There are 3 sauna, 1 is big sauna indoor, 1 is firewood with sofas type setting and another is the smaller facing the sea. Please try the sea faced is nice.

Löyly is a must-visit in Helsinki! The design and atmosphere are incredible — a striking modern building right on the waterfront, with panoramic views of the Baltic Sea. The sauna experience itself felt both authentic and welcoming, with multiple options including a traditional smoke sauna and easy access to the sea for a refreshing dip between rounds. Everything is clean, well-organized, and thoughtfully run. I especially appreciated the calm vibe: people respecting the sauna culture, alternating between heat, cool water, and relaxation on the deck. The restaurant and bar are also excellent for extending your visit with good food or a drink afterward. It’s worth booking in advance since time slots do fill quickly, but it’s absolutely one of the best ways to experience Finnish culture in Helsinki. Highly recommend!

A dream combinations of communal sauna, restaurant and bar by the beautiful waterfront. Really enjoyed the time here. However the facilities needed some good ongoing maintenance, a clear sign of current lack of good maintenance otherwise it's a great place to switch off and relax. Thanks ☺️

This is a must visit place while checking out Helsinki! The sauna is a mix of locals and some tourists. 3 different saunas and the opportunity to plunge in the Baltic was perfect. The restaurant is great for the après cause there’s literally nothing else in the immediate area other than a funky Skåne fisherman’s hunt, but I doubt they will serve up a delicious dish of torsk. I had the reindeer or was it the venison?!?… but regardless it was amazing red meat! Do it and you’ll have ikke regerts!

Absolutely adored my experience at both the sauna and the restaurant. The sauna staff were attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. There was a great respect from all sauna users and enhanced the experience. The tasting menu and paired wines were brilliant. The waiting staff were excellent and went above and beyond for us when we advised them it would be our last meal before an early flight the next day. We were loaded with extra bread, excellent for mopping up delicious sauces throughout the meal and sent away with some cinnamon rolls for a snack later but ended up being much needed breakfast.

Great experience - sauna more than restaurant where staff could not cope with number of people. A location right on the baltic sea for cold water dips between sauna sessions. There are four different saunas: 1. An electric one with views over the water, 2. A traditional wood-fired one, and 3. A smoked one that is darker and has a distinct scent. 4. Inside private one sometimes open to the public. You can alternate between them and either hop in the sea or their cold plunge, and shower whenever you want in the communal shower area.

I visited at the end of October, so I sat inside. Tried the Elk Meatballs (with pork) served with potato purée, cognac pepper sauce, pickles, and lingonberries — delicious and perfectly balanced. For dessert, the Matcha & Pistachio — panna cotta with pistachio ice cream — was light and creamy, a great finish. The restaurant has a stylish atmosphere, and visiting in summer would be tremendous for the sea view. Definitely worth a stop in Helsinki.

Dropped in for a night cap, two glasses of wine, it was perfect. Sat outside, watched the world go by, had wonderful service. The gentleman taking care of us was so very pleasant, it was much appreciated!

An amazing trattoria in Helsinki, a hidden gem, with excellent food, rich wine cellar, charming atmosphere, and nice music! The chicken with gorgonzola will be unforgettable! But above all the very hospitable owner, Vero! I highly recommend it.

A bottle of Chianti, a pizza starter and two main dishes. All were worth the price. All good. But our two-hour visit was painfully slow. The waitress-in-training was not ready for the job, and the experienced staff should’ve known better. Long after we’d finished 1/2 a bottle of wine, the pizza starter arrived along with one main dish. Pizza and main nearly done, we asked about the chicken, staff running by but ignoring us. “Oh, sorry. It’ll be worth the wait” Other couples came and went, seated right beside us. When finished, we asked for the check and few times. Again, other tables got attention, but our waitress kept nodding then would never return. After more than two hours, we had to walk to the desk and force the issue. Maybe they’re short of staff, but they should never let the waitress work unassisted on “her first day”

I didn't know about Casa Italia, another gem 💎 in Helsinki. We had a nice appetizer and different things. 🍷They also have an amazing wine cabinet hidden in the back. I recommend enjoying the Italian atmosphere, but if you are in a rush, then you should come here on another day. 🗨All the staff are really friendly as it should be and the entertainment of the owner is key of this place.

visited at 09:50 on tuesday morning. i ordered the breakfast combo (“COMBO OF THE WEEK”). i’m new to helsinki (traveling), so i’m gonna write detailed process here for others like me. you order at the front, the smoothie bowl and a shot of ginger juice(?) are served on the black and white marimekko-esque plate right away. the combo comes with an avocado toast, and i added a poached egg. it’s served to you to your seat. the coffee, cutlery, and napkins are self service at the station on the left side. the smoothie bowl was good. it was mostly banana from what i could tell, but the homepage it listed last. (the smoothie is “HILBERT THE HIPPIE” and it’s “Sea buckthorn, mango, banana”) the avocado toast was crunchy on the outer edge and soft/mushy on the center. i guess probably avocado was sitting on the toast for a while. i assume it’s to make the making process fast and efficient in the kitchen, but it might have had better texture if it was prepared when it’s ordered. that’s the reason i knocked one star off. the egg was poached just right to my taste. the atmosphere was pleasant, the seats were only sparsely occupied because the lunch hour(11-14) had not started yet. i could take a peek at a lovely and majestic dalmatian, because people can bring their pets inside.

Came for a brunch date with my grandma and we were pleased with the experience! Food was really good, and I have to highlight the way the dishes and plates were all beautifully color coded. The staff were friendly and the Fredrikintori terrace was as lovely as ever. The tables were quite dirty when we came, but they did tidy them up soon enough. The only little minus I have comes from the coffee, since I had to explain what a cortado was, and they did not have a professional espresso machine. However, would definitely visit again!

Great find in Helsinki if you're a vegetarian or just want to eat more vegetables and healthy meals (they also offer chicken for example). Very good prices as well (15 euro for a meal).

In August 2025, I visited 5 countries alongside my vegan friend, and we found some incredible spots! Even though I’m not vegan, I keep an open mind. We stumbled upon this place, which happened to be vegan. I had the Thai dish, which was tasty!

I was a bit worried about finding good vegetarian food in Finland, but so far Helsinki does not disappoint. The Buddha bowl with a side of halloumi was by far one of the best bowls I’ve had, period!

The coffees are made in a Bean-to-cup machine and charged at €4.50/coffee. The porridge was inedible and tasted like gruel despite being dressed up with fun bits. That being said, the staff are very friendly and the place has a nice atmosphere.

The food was delicious and it would be even better if the food could be served when it’s freshly cooked and hot. Though, I understand that western culture prefers to have everyone’s food ready before delivering to the table. Great atmosphere and nice decoration.

This is a nice restaurant in a pleasant area of Helsinki. There are seats for some dozens people here. It would be best to arrive by public transportation and walking. Atmosphere is peaceful. The restaurant locates in an old building and it is not completely accessible by wheelchair.

Appetizers were delicious but the pizzas were not. The crust was hard to cut even with a stake knife. The taste was ordinary. Would not order again. Risotto was much better with a lot of ingredients. Waiter was not professional. Spilling drinks and asking (not too nicely) for plates to be given to her.

The restaurant offers an excellent taste of Italy and even plays Radio Kiss Kiss Italy (fun and Italian) as the background music. Service works well and we enjoyed our stay at Rodolfo.

This was previously one of our preferred lunch restaurants but they rearranged the menu and the interior and it just didn't feel right. However, I happened to give them a chance again. The pizza that I had was SUPERB as were the ones that my lunch company had. For the first time in Finland I got fresh oregano when I asked for some! Only complaint that I have is that the waiting time for the food is just too long, this is not good when you're out for lunch. That is the reason for 4 stars.

Still giing strong! Best pizza I've had for a long time. Three different pastas our group had all got high marks. I have had bad luck with mussels here in couple of occassions, but that tends to be the case in Finland. Decent wine at standard - read too high - price. They have better price for one brand. It's not bad wine, but you have to be brave enough to order the cheapest in a list.

While Ravintola Palace boasts two Michelin stars, our experience fell short of expectations. The food, though packs a lot of flavour, was a little too salty for some dishes. Yes, they took the time to explain each dish, but the service felt impersonal and cold - perhaps a Finnish trait, but disappointing for a restaurant of this caliber. What truly soured the experience was watching other diners receive special treatment, complete with gift bags, while we were overlooked. This created an uncomfortable feeling of being “second-class” guests. For the amount paid, the value simply wasn’t there. While the cuisine showed skill, the overall experience left a bitter taste. For the astronomical price, one expects more than just good food - you want an exceptional, memorable evening. Unfortunately, Palace failed to deliver on that front.

Located on the 10th floor, when you exit the lift, it exposes you to a space that has a nice ambience. Staff were welcoming. For the first time, each of the 10 courses was served by a different chef and not wait staff. Very original and a nice highlight. Each dish was delicate, amazing & very tasty. I could feel the subtle infusion of the different ingrediants and how well it all balanced without overpowering each other. Staff were very professional and attentive without crowding you. Plates got cleared quickly with comfortable intervals between courses. I even got an audience with the executive chef Eero Vottonern and all the BoH staff for a long & engaging chat about his vision, objectives, direction, etc. I wasn't overly keen on some food being served on a folded napkin and small timber coasters. I think it lowered the presentation slightly. Overall a great 4hr culenary experience. Staff were able to respond so well to all my inquisitive technical questions. This is more like it👍. Worth spending the high cost to be spoilt like this.

Amazing food experience, best of modern nordic kitchen. Chef Eero is serving dishes at least once to each table to chat with customers. Wine pairing is perfect, beware - it will get you hammered.

Very nice restaurant for fine dining. The dishes are carefully prepared and decorated, the flavors are sublime and the service is excellent. I'd love to come back soon!

Food is like art and unique experience, but not quite as tasty as I expected. Too tricky, such as having excellent meet cocered by truffle chips

Just unreal dining in here. Every dish was piece of art, perfection and really well thinked. I don't have the photo of the duck dish, but that was definently one of the highlights. And the view was really really nice. Everyhing was just so perfect and the staff was really really really nice and professional. And the drink recommadations were spot on. I will come back sometime again.

2 michelin stars well deserved. No weak links in this edition of the menu. Amazing non-alcoholic beverage pairings too.

I recently visited Daddy Greens Pizza Bar in Helsinki, and I have to say, it’s one of the best pizza spots in the city! The flavors are rich and authentic, and the crust hits the perfect balance between crispy and chewy. Living in Italy, I’m used to good pizza, but this place truly reminded me of those familiar Italian flavors. The True Romance pizza with burrata was absolutely delicious. Staff were friendly, and the outdoor seating added a nice touch. Highly recommend!

Pizzas were absolutely delicious and the crust was perfect. Price is reasonable for the quality. The food came out relatively quickly for a large group of people. However, the service felt a bit rushed and unfriendly because one of the servers seemed stressed. They made a mistake with our order so there was a bit of confusion there on both ends.

Decent Neapolitan-style pizza and really friendly service. I ordered the “Afternoon Delight” pizza (zucchini seasoned with thyme and lemon, sweet onion, arugula pesto, burrata, pine nuts), along with a lager — and it was well worth the price. Payments are card-only; the place doesn’t accept cash.

Cool location with good Pizza. Don‘t expect any service, you order at the bar & have to take your own cutlery to the table. I had to wait over 45 minutes for my pizza and the place was not totally crowded. The prices are hefty as well, but I guess that’s normal these days.

Think college pizza joint, then double, or triple, the cost and add mediocre service on top. It did taste good, but not good enough to come back. And if you like a lot of toppings, then this place is definitely NOT for you. Very simple stone-oven style pizza. The sauces were REALLY good though. We got several different pizzas and ALL of them had a signature flavor. It was the saving grace of the place. Also liked the 80s and 90s music.

One of the best pizzas I’ve had in ages, and we eat a lot of pizza! Great varied options for vegetarians and vegans. Sour cherry licorice beer was the icing on the cake!

We were there recently as a group of five, and it was fabulous. The staff was so friendly—especially the employee with the septum piercing and long hair, who was so kind, had such a beautiful vibe, and a charming smile. The pizzas were delicious, both the regular and the vegan ones! We were visiting here on vacation, and we can highly recommend this place to everyone!

I enjoy a great Latte, I am a HUGE espresso lover. The presentation of pastries were very enticing. So we decided to try both sweet and savory, paired with lattes. The prices were moderate, but truthfully just a bit on the pricey side if I were to be totally honest. To balance the price you're paying; the quality of the food was excellent. The bakery is on the smaller side, and was very crowded when we arrived. We found a space near the window and awaited or food. The presentation and taste was divine, and the lattes were PERFECT. The only down side is that it can get very crowded and it is not a spacious vibe, like the beauty of Heritage Cafe, but it is it's own jewel of a quaint spot for a quick latte and top tier pastry.

Incredible place for breakfast or coffee. Super nice pastries, breakfast options and incredible bread. Matcha is great too :) Can definitely recommend and don’t forget to try the lemon poppy seed bun

Cute little cafe! A must-visit if you’re in Helsinki. Coffee was decent, beautiful minimalist interior, and the pastries are serve on a pottery plate. The hazelnut fig cake is delicious 😋 friendly barista too!

Cozy little place with breakfast options, baked goods and other desserts. Loved the interior. There are several seats inside and plenty more outside, with heaters to keep you warm. My only feedback is that I wished the pastry of the sausage roll was warmer and crispier. The roll was kind of cold and the pastry was soggy. Perhaps it's just a personal preference. I still enjoyed it despite that and would come back here to try other things in the future.

Lovely cafe and bakery in the Kallio neighborhood. Beautiful pastries and delicious coffee. We were lucky to visit on a sunny Sunday morning and were able to sit outside. It is a five minute walk from our accommodation at CityBox Helsinki. Highly recommend. Enjoy!

Delicious desserts and excellent service. Beware: They were so good, we ended up ordering another round of desserts! We also had iced coffee (which was so refreshing!) though it’s not shown in the pictures.

The food is mouthwatering 😋 but quite pricey. The location has amazing street view with the Kallio church. We enjoyed our brunch and this place is a must visit when you go to Helsinki. The Customer service is great. It’s queueing so you need to carry a little bit of patience.
