I stopped here with my girlfriend for a quick dinner. The burgers are great but the fries are outstanding. Really crispy and nicely spiced. Prices are fair.

Burgers are very tasty. There is a wall of sauces, where you can choose different flavors from mild and sweet to extra spicy and this is free of charge. Classic potato fries can be better quality. Recommended for burger fans.

Came here after suggestion by a Finnish friend. Got the Naughty burger with the fries and it was quite good! The fries are nice and crunchy while the burger was well made and full of flavor. Not that greasy either.

Good burgers. Simply like that. Nice burgers with fries. You order, you pick it up you eat it. Easy, quick and good. The service is friendly and the place is clean.

Visited 26th Feb 24 All good. Service was nice and friendly. Food was good too. Mrs loved the battered fries. I loved my burger, it was the double smash, there was something about it that was great and it had a spicy kick to it too! With a meal, water or coffee was free too ✌🏾😁 I can't find anything to say bad about TBH. Will come again if I am a resident but am not. Sadness comes in many forms. 😭

While this place comes highly recommended in Helsinki, I must admit that the burgers failed to impress me with their lack of distinction. Additionally, it was disappointing to discover, only upon payment, that a service commission of nearly €6 was included in the bill, which was not clearly indicated on the menu.

Very solid burger experience. We had the CheeseBRGR smash burgers, which had a great balance of mustard and ketchup tang, with pickles and onions. Really lovely flat top grill flavor. Good caramelization. The smash burgers are small patties, small enough to be served on martins potato rolls, so I had two. The full burgers may be larger but we didn’t have them. The “fries” are wedges, tasty tho. Overall really enjoyed the flavor. The ambiance is only just a ate above take out, so you’re not gonna linger over a long meal, but happy enough to have a beer.

This restaurant is located very close to the center of Helsinki, which makes parking a bit challenging, but it’s definitely worth a visit. The interior is warm and inviting, creating a cozy atmosphere to enjoy your meal. The staff were polite and friendly, and the food quality was excellent, the Italian-style pizzas were delicious, especially by Finnish standards. I was really satisfied with the pizzas I tried. They also have a bar, so you can order both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks with your meal. I visited on a holiday, but I’ve heard they offer a lunch buffet on regular weekdays, which is another reason to come back and try more.

Super relaxed place with really cool music — very hip vibe. The pizza was insanely good, with a super thin base and a perfectly crispy crust, almost like in Italy. The only thing that was a bit annoying (which wasn’t the restaurant’s fault) were the seagulls. The staff did their best to clear away leftover food quickly, but sometimes it was just too late, and the birds went for it. Other than that, there’s really nothing to complain about. I’d definitely go back! Especially in the evening, I bet it turns into a really cool bar atmosphere.

We tried the Chilli Caesar Pizza and the burrata. The pizza wasn’t too spicy, so those who are hesitant can give it a try. The burrata was also decent. The staff were very attentive, and the place has a vibrant atmosphere. Pizza: 4/5 Burrata: 3.5/5

truly exceptional atmosphere, beautiful lights and artwork displayed, stopped by on a friday during a busy evening and yet service was prompt and yet did not feel rushed the pizza was by far one of the best i’ve had, took a chance on avocado and bacon and did not regret it in the slightest! i am visiting helsinki on a short trip and would highly recommend this establishment to either a local or tourist

I would certainly recommend this place. Nice pizza, with a gluten-free option for an additional cost that was also nice. The nachos were tortilla chips with guacamole and salsa, no cheese, which was a shame, but the salsa and guacamole was tasty. Staff were very efficient if a little unwelcoming. Decent atmosphere and an overall pleasant experience.

A great spot for casual get-togethers and after-parties! For our purposes this was spot-on place to be. Our group reserved the cozy downstairs space (the cellar), and the atmosphere was just right for relaxing with friends. The food was tasty, and the staff was professional and incredibly friendly. Definitely planning to host another gathering here in the future.

Interesting place with interesting pizzas (I had with a reindeer meat). Average restaurant price, size of pizza is quite good for one person. I discovered the restaurant through a recommendation in HS10 and decided to try it for lunch. I especially enjoyed the salad table, the warm roasted potatoes, and the focaccia. The salad selection, however, could have been a bit more varied.

We had a 3 course dinner. My main complaint is that our table was in such a dark spot that it was hard to see what you were eating. The staff was friendly and very attentive. Food came fast and portions were good sized. Food itself was not that top notch. The toast was very dry and even hard to bite. Same issues with vegan chorizo, some bites were really hard. Desserts were great, Tarte Tatin excellent. The Seitan dish was savoury and heart warming.

Trendy place with selected menu with vegan and gluten free options. Portions are generous and appetizer kimchi fries were delicious. Drinks, wine and beer selection is good, I recommend house Hugo for starters. Several local beers on the list. Prices were really reasonable. Outside terrace is dog friendly and cozy. Friendly and helpful staff, also handled complaints professionally.

Their brunch items are great, the shakshuka in particular is notably delicious.

All of us liked the food but we felt like the atmosphere came down after the staff turned the music off 30 mins before closing. Before that the vibe was much better. Would mostly recommend the ompu pizza!

Really good quality of fresh and healthy food, rarely restaurants can compete on both disciplines, veggie and fish/meat foods. They do it very well. Also good atmosphere👌🏼

New owners or something? I ate the brunch there one year ago and it was delicious, many vegan options. Came back this year, outside of brunch hours, and there was barely anything vegan on the menu. Was too hungry to find another place to eat so it had to do, but disappointed :-(

It’s one of my go-to lunch spots in Kallio. Just good vibes. And their food options are out of my comfort zone meaning it’s very Nordic cuisine. So I love it! After leaving this restaurant, I have extra confidence and happiness that I tried a new dish that I don’t normally go for. Thank you for your service and good food.

I highly respect this restaurant! They didn’t serve breakfast at my arrival time. They were kind enough to translate the lunch menu to English. My respect goes high for including free soup, bread, fresh brewed coffee, and water with any order! Additionally, I only saw 2 persons serving the entire place! The complimentary soup was really excellent! A creamy vegetables soup. The coffee was good. However, my crepes mini mushrooms inside filling were very good, while the whole wheat flour used for the crepe was a little sweet. Also, it was slightly overcooked, and little dry. The coleslaw side was good. Overall, with all of the above inclusions, I can say that they are fairly affordable. Recommended

The terrace is nice! Menu is also quite interesting and the croque monsieur was super tasty, really enjoyed it but do not recommend the pancakes, not much taste and very very small and flat. The coffee was okay, not great. Orange juice was nice.

I had the fish of the day. Not bad, just a bit bland. Felt healthy, I suppose. The vibes were adequate and the service was as well. Not bad, not amazing either.

We were staying in Kallio for 24hrs and looking for breakfast/lunch, Gastro cafe looked so popular and cosy we wandered in and were so impressed with the food, the value and the chill cosy atmosphere. Couldn't have asked for a better lunch 😋

Very positiv surprise. The place looks pretty simple, but had a delicious menu, a very patient and friendly service who in detail described the options and made perfect recommendations, including the drinks.

I enjoy a great Latte, I am a HUGE espresso lover. The presentation of pastries were very enticing. So we decided to try both sweet and savory, paired with lattes. The prices were moderate, but truthfully just a bit on the pricey side if I were to be totally honest. To balance the price you're paying; the quality of the food was excellent. The bakery is on the smaller side, and was very crowded when we arrived. We found a space near the window and awaited or food. The presentation and taste was divine, and the lattes were PERFECT. The only down side is that it can get very crowded and it is not a spacious vibe, like the beauty of Heritage Cafe, but it is it's own jewel of a quaint spot for a quick latte and top tier pastry.

Incredible place for breakfast or coffee. Super nice pastries, breakfast options and incredible bread. Matcha is great too :) Can definitely recommend and don’t forget to try the lemon poppy seed bun

Cute little cafe! A must-visit if you’re in Helsinki. Coffee was decent, beautiful minimalist interior, and the pastries are serve on a pottery plate. The hazelnut fig cake is delicious 😋 friendly barista too!

Cozy little place with breakfast options, baked goods and other desserts. Loved the interior. There are several seats inside and plenty more outside, with heaters to keep you warm. My only feedback is that I wished the pastry of the sausage roll was warmer and crispier. The roll was kind of cold and the pastry was soggy. Perhaps it's just a personal preference. I still enjoyed it despite that and would come back here to try other things in the future.

Lovely cafe and bakery in the Kallio neighborhood. Beautiful pastries and delicious coffee. We were lucky to visit on a sunny Sunday morning and were able to sit outside. It is a five minute walk from our accommodation at CityBox Helsinki. Highly recommend. Enjoy!

Delicious desserts and excellent service. Beware: They were so good, we ended up ordering another round of desserts! We also had iced coffee (which was so refreshing!) though it’s not shown in the pictures.

The food is mouthwatering 😋 but quite pricey. The location has amazing street view with the Kallio church. We enjoyed our brunch and this place is a must visit when you go to Helsinki. The Customer service is great. It’s queueing so you need to carry a little bit of patience.

We won’t be back. The mystery and uniqueness are gone, replaced by an industrial operation mode. The food is good, but no longer represent a fine dining experience by any standards. There is no service, instead there is a supply chain of waiters lacking competence/interest and observation ability: e.g. cutlery is missing - no one notices unless you say so; or you have sauce on the plate from the previous dish, plate has to be changed, but it doesn’t happen without specifically requesting; while waiting for the rice, the main course got cold - we returned it to the kitchen by ourselves. No initiative. Additionally, there was an odd element inside the meat (pork) - either a VEIN full of blood or a WORM - we never heard back what it was, no one came to tell us. And certainly no one suggested to replace the 50% of the portion we returned due to that element. No information, no talking, nor replacement, the whole episode just vanished. We left wondering… 🤔 Service is limping right from the beginning. The head waitress doesn't look the arriving customer in the eye, doesn't smile. Then, at the table, a waitress came to ask if we were ready to order, I said we would be ready in exactly one minute. She continued her shift, but never came to serve us again, nor did she pass on the information to colleagues. The order was taken by a new waitress, who arrived about 10-15 minutes later. In this kaleidoscope of bad service, one professional person stood out. We were lucky when our table was on her route. She is interested in the customers, creating the experience, she shares knowledge, makes contact, keeps conversation flowing and smiles, she is not just on duty, but works for people and represents her workplace with pride. Thank you, Tien, you were the only professional and saved the dinner! You should be the head waitress in that place to make it better.

The place was really nice. My partner and I arrived in the afternoon, so it wasn’t very busy on a weekday. We went through Amex Dining, and the food was delicious and well-made. The portions were quite small for two, but we ordered a few extra dishes and were satisfied. Overall, very tasty!

Really international vibe in this place! We really enjoyed the classic menu here, and the service was marvelous. Probably best asian food I’ve had.

Great restaurant, very high quality and great tastes. We reserved a table for two and used the dining by amex experience. Opted for the amex tasting menu with three courses. Our waitress convinced us to take apertivos wich I personally liked. We had to wait a bit too long but our waitress picked that up and offered the apertivos on the house. Great job from her on sensing our situation and atmosphere. The food was amazing. South-east-asian food with lots of taste. Our main dish: lamb red curry had so many layers of taste and the meat was very good. Waitress knew what she was doing, very professional service. Everytime we needed something we got service without callinf for it. I asked for recommendation for a wine with the dessert. I got two different wines to taste and to chose from. Both were totally different from another but still went great with the dessert. This was very good because they acknowledged that people like different tastes. Overall our experience dining at Farang was great and we were very happy with every aspect of our night.

Mixed feeling after leaving. Not really an experience that we expected. First off about the customer service: we had our reservation through Amex dining experience. The first Asian waitress (didn’t ask for her name) came to our table and explained the menu and drinks, all cold, awkward and emotionless, with no eye contact, like I wondered “what was up on the ceiling that she kept looking at when talking to me?”, all that with her arms folded and loosely leaned to the table nearby. No smile, not even a friendly facial expression that one could expect from a professional waitress. And just like that she immediately left our table after explaining about all the options. We felt so unwelcome and was wondering if we were the customers to her. It’s a common sense in the customer service, who does this? One could say that’s her style, right, keep that on other tables, but not while serving my table and on my watch. I didn’t ask or confront her at all because it’s not worth it. I came directly to the shift leader and asked to change the person who waited on my table. That was unacceptable. I paid for the service, I did not ask for free food. I have been to most of the fine dining restaurants in Helsinki and this was the first time that I encountered such customer service with an attitude. I once was a waiter myself and I never did that to any customers ever! I gave the feedback to the shift leader and the other waitress afterwards. And BIG thanks to the second lady who waited on my table instead. Things were so much better and less awkward. About food: We had the tasting menu for Amex plus 2 extra dishes that I also ordered. Had to say, everything was good to my taste, the famed crispy pork was a little too sweet but ok. I forgot to take picture of the last chicken curry and the dessert, probably not in the mood 😅. Overall we were satisfied with those 4 dishes. It was our first time here but not really sure we would come back next time. Hope my review could make some difference ☺️

Probably the best restaurant in Helsinki. Amazing food, incredibly helpful staff and a very pleasant atmosphere. I have a severe peanut allergy but the waitress was very understanding and changed the menu a little bit so I could eat everything. The only minus I can find is that the last main course was really heavy and could have been a bit earlier.

If being honest, I would rate this restaurant 3.5/5. The food itself was delicious, and the staff were very friendly, welcoming, and helpful when it came to recommending dishes. However, considering the price level of the restaurant, our overall experience didn’t fully meet our expectations. The service felt a little slow, especially as the restaurant was not very busy and there seemed to be enough staff available. We ordered one starter to share, two main dishes, and one dessert to share. There may have been a misunderstanding, but our starter was served at the same time as one of the mains, leaving one of us waiting for their dish. Around ten minutes later, the second main arrived, but it was served together with the dessert, which felt a bit confusing. The staff did kindly apologise, but the timing of the courses affected the flow of the meal.

Cute, relaxing setting in central Helsinki. Prices are slightly higher than most, and seating can become limited at times, but overall a wonderful setting for your vegetarian / vegan needs.

Silvoplee is a versatile and beloved vegetarian restaurant founded by Satu Silvo(Finnish Actress) in 1999 in Hakaniemi. It offers wide variety of fresh and warm vegetarian delicious high quality buffet items. You pay as your food weights in the scale at the counter. However, I feel prices are a bit too high.

They advertise as a “buffet” but you don’t pay a fixed price for a buffet. You instead pay based on how much your plate weights. The food was decent at best, but I wouldn’t put it on my list of places to visit again.

The food is so delicious! Everything is clearly marked, so it's easy to navigate with allergies. You pay by the weight of your plate, which I think is brilliant. Everything's super healthy yet so flavorful. I love it! Clearly a lunch place and not a dinner place, but the atmosphere is really nice and relaxed.

Enjoyed our dinner overall. A small mistake on the drink order and a rather long wait time to receive drinks but after that everything went well. We tried 5 different pastas, few starters and desserts. Food was good and as expected a bit better pasta than in your regular diner. Can still be improved to get closer to perfection but we left satisfied.

From beginning to end, the evening was a genuine pleasure. The setting strikes a fine balance between elegance and comfort, and the service was impeccable—attentive, discreet, and thoroughly professional. I've been to Locanda Scappi several times now and the food never disappoints. Especially their Cacio e Pepe ravioli with sage and butter sauce hits the spot. Personnel is very knowledgeable and friendly. Only slight improvement to be made is the appetizer/side prices - 17 euros for an appetizer and 9 euros for a side of essentially 8 pieces of potato is a bit over the top. Lovely food though!

An exceptional Italian dining experience! The pasta was perfectly cooked, the flavors rich and authentic, and the service warm and attentive. The ambience gave us the feeling of experiencing a very modern Italy. Highly recommended!

Best Italian 🇮🇹 restaurant in town so far it’s delicious and service is top notch amazing atmosphere great looking terrace and the whole team is matching. Love the taste of everything pasta is amazing and the Tuna tartar is sexy and beef tartar is amazing. My favourite was the phone wire 😂 it’s delicious and tiramisu is amazing.

Definitely one of the bet burgers I've had in Finland. So juicy and perfect. The loaded fries were amazing as well. You have to come and try a burger! Pictured is the Harlem Bacon Smash.

Burger is excellent. Patty is juicy, lettuce is fresh and crunchy, and bun is soft and not dry at all. And fries with the cilantro and bacon, sauce is a winner. We decided to try out burgers in Helsinki since we saw there were a number of burger joints, there must be some kind of burger culture. Not disappointed at all.

My wife was a little hungry and we decided to have a burger as we were just passing by a Burger King. I saw an other Birger Shop just beside BB. So we went there as BB you can have every where! And what we got was just absolutely perfect. Stylish Burger and fries - better than homemade 🫶

I was excited to try this place after reading reviews that it was considered the best in Helsinki. Unfortunately the burger was over cooked and the fries were very salty. I couldn’t even eat them all. The staff was however very welcoming and pleasant. The Restaurant was also very clean and comfortable.

If you want a real, high quality burger then this is the place to go. I had a classic patty instead of the smash one and it was perfectly fried medium. I’ve tried many places in Finland and places with burgers of this quality are few and far between. In addition to the juicy patty, there were distinct tastes in the burger that had clearly been thought out instead of just filling the burger with random ingredients.

Social Burgerjoint! 😋 One of the best burger joints in Finland 😋 This time I ordered their seasonal burger, Woodhaven with Animal Fries. I have to admit that the roasted Portobello mushroom worked perfectly with this burger, because it brought a delicious presentation of umami to the burger 🤤 Social Burgerjoint never fails. Highly recommended! 😋

Wow! Nice burgers, 90s Chilipeppers tracks playing in the background... Can it get any better? Well, actually it can get but just a bit, and Social Burgerjoint takes you pretty far! Most important, burgers are good here - perfect medium cooked, nice ingredients, good bread. Clearly one of the better burgers in Helsinki, but still there is some potential in the beef, Friends & Brgrs did it. Fries are good here, with several options available. Beers menu have some interesting options, like their own "No Forks", but best one on the menu is Day Time IPA. Staff is nice and when I visited it was very clean and nice.

This small and cozy space offers delicious coffee. I recommend this place to have a moment of concentration to work. By the way, their playlist is nice with classic rock vibes.

Went for a quick breakfast stop, pastry was good, atmosphere and service were inviting. Been here few times before, finally write a review to support. Some construction going on around the hood at the moment so not the most pleasant view now, but it’s just a phase.

Unfortunately the cafe had run out of sandwich options by 13:30 on a Saturday, which was about disappointing, and only had a few breakfast items remaining. There was also limited seating with an odd arrangement of tables. Nice to see the cafe is dog friendly though. The flat white was very good as was the chocolate banana bread. Also highly recommend the yoghurt and granola bowl.

A cozy spot in the neighborhood. I tried their weekend special banana bread, croissant, and flat white. I can say that the food was average. Enjoyable, but not somethind I'd go out of my way to have again. The coffee, on the other hand, was quite decent and pleasant.

I stopped by for breakfast and it was a pleasant surprise! The prices are in line with the average in Helsinki, but the quality of the pastry I had and the cappuccino surprised me positively. The place is very popular, so finding a seat can be challenging. Although the name suggests it’s a bakery, the pastries seem rather ordinary. They look good, but the taste is nothing special. The savory avocado sandwich was left uneaten because it had a bitter taste. Savory sandwiches would be better if they were grilled—without grilling, the bread is quite dense and not as enjoyable. The coffee comes with free refills, which is a nice touch. Overall, I’d rate it a 3.

The place was pretty empty and quiet when we went there. We got two pastries to-go. We didn’t have to wait long in line and the pastry selection was pretty wide. The prices were okay considering it’s in Helsinki. The taste was also quite good.

Don't be fooled from the outside, which looks very sterile and just attached to a fancy hotel. Step through the door, down the steps, through the glass doors and into a little gem. Its constantly busy and has a very vibrant/bustling but relaxed atmosphere. Around the corner you'll find an array of fresh bread sandwiches with allsorts of fillings, pastries (the cinnamon bun is gorgeous😉) and fancy cakes. There are a range of coffees and teas too. You can sit at a table or more comfy sofas. It has a lovely decor.

Had the seasonal bun which had raspberry jam and vanilla cream with cardamom. Just perfect with a silky macchiato enjoyed on the terrace area in front. Peaceful with beautiful views of the park opposite.

Cute bakery with nice atmosphere. The pastries were good and so was the coffee. The price is normal for Helsinki. I just wish they had a few more comfortable seating options. We had to sit in a corner and the table was too low and small

Decent bakery near our hote. The selection was small on the day I visited. I wished the display area was closer to the cashier as I had a hard time checking out what was available while waiting in line. Highly recommend the cinnamon bread.

Great little bakery connected to the St George Hotel. Super comfortable dining area. Great coffee . I also enjoyed a scone - buttery and delicious with homemade jam. My son enjoyed the almond croissant.

Had to pay a visit at lunchtime to test the new Summer menu and as per usual, Levain did not disappoint! The atmosphere is unique and the menus offer a wide range of both all-day breakfast and lunch dishes along with the sweets and drinks. We ordered two fresh Summer salads, one with cold smoked salmon and one plain, accompanied by an oat cappuccino. Really tasty! The staff was kind to explain us how the ordering process works the first thing we entered, even without us asking. The customer’s toilet had run out of soap and was not the tidiest I’ve seen, but otherwise an excellent experience! <3

One of the better brunch spots I went to in Helsinki! They have delicious brunch options, pastries, and specialty coffee. It’s everything I would ever want for a nice, weekend brunch. I had the Eggs Norwegian, a Flat White, and an Almond Croissant. Everything was really good and I was very pleased with the quality of the food.

Absolutely fantastic service, great coffee and baked goods. Did not try foods but they looked good as well. Not the best for coffee, but due to good location, large menu and fantastic service, Levain is a good choise.

Lovely egg sandwich. Had the menu with egg sandwich, müsli, nuts and yogurt, juice and coffee. 21€. Asked for cappuccino instead of filtered coffee, had to pay an extra euro for that. I total 44€ for two. A wonderful brunch, just a little too salty from time to time. Very friendly staff. You have to order and pay at the counter. Water, cutlery, napkins are provided. You just have to get them yourself. We will definitely return! 👍🏼☺️

Was visiting the rock church, however as the Church did not open until 10am, we decided tk fo in for a quick drink. Ordered the hot chocolate and the matcha latte. The hot chocolate was great and not tok sweet and the matcha latte actually tasted like great quality ceremonial grade matcha. The latte was rich and well balanced. Customer service was wonderful and friendly and this cafe is located just down the street from the rock church (probably a 30 second walk).

They have more vegetarian options than any other place in the whole of the city. And we loved the food so much, we visited them again before we left the city. The mezze platter & Kimchi burger are must try, if you’re into spicy food.

This was a winner pick!! Yea it is in a little food court, but it is a nice clean one with lots of greenery hanging around which gives a nice atmosphere. The girl serving us was friendly and personable. The prices are good and the sizes great! There is free water, coffee and tea available. There were so many options it was hard to choose! Went with the mezze plate and the Schnitzel. The Schnitzel was ok but the mezze plate was awesome! Great variety, great taste, happy days! Everyone I had invited, loved their meal.

Friendly staff, can ask to split meals so they can be shared with friends. The meals packed a lot of flavor and seem healthy. However location does not make it a very private place if you are looking for one

Vege bbq pulled burger was soggy and cold. Put the whole damn tomato in there. Cheddar combo burger was 2 stars. Rice with chicken kebab (not fresh) was 3 stars. Overall not a pleasant experience.

Had lunch here, I picked the vegan falafel with eggplant in pitta option and my husband had the vegan burger. Unfortunately there was a miss communication and they put fetta cheese in my pitta. After one bite I realised it wasn't vegan and they remade my order plus adding extra side sweet potato fries. This was such a shame as I am vegan and do not want to eat diary. This was the first time I had eaten diary for 6 years and the thought of it made me feel pretty rubbish after. Meaning I then couldn't finish the remade pitta order. My husband enjoyed his burger and the they gave generous chip portions. If going here I as a vegan I would recommend extra clarification on ordering

We stopped here for quick lunch. We had 2 pizzas : margarita and prosciutto. They were delicious. The crust is perfectly soft with a nice char, and the toppings are fresh and flavorful. The atmosphere is cozy and lively, making it a great spot for both casual meals and special occasions. Service can be a bit slow during busy hours, but the quality of the food makes it worth the wait. Also cappuccino and latte was delicious. It served with a little cookie and chocolate. Such a nice touch! Prices are reasonable!!definitely recommend it:)

Great food and great location. Went there with a friend because we heard it was one of the best places not only in Finland but also worldwide. The pizza and dessert (I had prosciutto e funghi and then tiramisu) was fantastic, service was excellent, and it wasn't crowded or noisy at all. Nice and quiet place for good food, and the price felt very reasonable.

Prior to my visit I learnt that it's the first and only pizzeria in Finland certified by the True Neapolitan Pizza Association (AVPN). And it increased my curiosity even more. The results? Hands down one of the best pizza experiences of my life. Honestly, I might not have had a better pizza even in Italy. This is exactly what I look for in a pizza, and they deliver it perfectly. I visited the place twice and tried four different pizzas in total. The dough, the cheese and the sauce were so amazing together that the one satisfied me most was their classic Margherita. 100% recommend, no doubt.

Pizza was OK. We had a Marghareta and Puttanesca 2.0 It was good solid pizza but dough and tomato sauce was lacking flavour. That made marghareta leaving something misding. In puttanesca, all strong salty toppings made it closer. But all in all... place was good mood and servicevand everything else great.

I loved my Ponente pizza! My family members had different pizzas with mixed reviews. The pizzas were Bambino (kids) Ham (too sweet and gummy to my son), Diavola (just right per my son), and Boscosa (unique, good, but uncertain for pizza per my father). Tiramisu tasted good. Very good service and calm atmosphere. Worth a visit, especially if you like pizza and visiting nearby including at Helsinki Cathedral. Beautiful and short walk to the restaurant.

Pizza was great. Was not scorched. Had taste. Although the tomatosauce was a bit soggy. Still dough managed to be very firm. Asked for olive oil as side order. They put it directly on pizza. Didnt bother though. Also ordered two beers. Had to remind the waitress to bring them. Pizza was probably the best napolitan i have had in Finland. So i thought to go for a tiramisu. But unfortunately the tiramisu was very wet and soggy. Overall it was a good experience. Although a bit pricey. If you visit Finland. I recommend to try a good old ”känkky and beer” from sivuraide or any other local pizzeria. 😂

We had a couple of drinks on a Saturday night around the corner and this place was the ultimate location to go for dinner. With a 10 minute waiting time, no complaints in regards to the speed of the food being served. It took 10-15 minutes after making our order to receive my Cacio e pepe pizza. Delicious! Some more meat, in this case Guanciale, could have been added to be honest. Interesting name for a pizza, as the pasta variant does not contain meat. It would have been a carbonara pizza? Nevertheless, I would come back to try the other pizzas:) Ohh, and the home made tiramisu is tasty too!

food was made with high quality ingredients, presented beautifully, and catered well to a pescatarian palette. for me, the starter tasted only of the horseradish sauce and my fish main course had several large bones in which was unpleasant. overall, the dishes tasted good but nothing stood out as being super amazing. the service was friendly and welcoming, although we had a gifted 4 course menu and felt a little pushed by the waiter to order drinks and spend money when we didn’t want to. loved the french decor and music but as someone who has lived in paris, the atmosphere was quite dull and not reminiscent of a true french bistro.

This is a decent french restaurant in Helsinki. We tried the classics i.e. escargot and tartare and they were as good as it gets. The main steak was also well prepared - nothing mind blowing though. Unfortunately their crème brûlée lacked taste and came out a bit flat. I have to compliment them on their service as it was warm, quick and friendly. The atmosphere resembled an authentic French brasserie. I would recommend booking a table in advance.

Had a chefs menu as dinner here. First starter really smooth, balanced and tasteful. Second dish was a bit creative. Maybe not just my cup of tea. Main char was yet again really smooth, balanced and enjoyable. Raspberry desert was mediocre. I'll do better myself. Wine package was interesting since had one wine that was between rose and red but it went well with the dish. White with the first dish was excellent being a bit on the dark and heavy side of whites. Desert wine was really good since it wasn't traditional super sweet. Overall pastis offers premium french kitchen experience. Definitely worth visiting if you are a friend of french kitchen. Restaurant side is really noisy when the place is full. Bar side can be a bit more peacefull.

Very nice atmosphere, original elevated seating by the window, one of the iconic Finnish brasseries in Helsinki. Professional service, attentive and friendly. The food is on par with the expectations. A good overall experience.

Located very central in heart of Helsinki, Finland🇫🇮. Very nice ambiance but food was average and service was very slow for brunch. I think there are many better options in town. I think they should expand the brunch menu as it was very short and not too many options which qualify the menu as brunch because it was very standard lunch kind of offering. No croissants no eggs and nothing from breakfast etc

It's one of my favorites in Helsinki. It is always a pleasure to go. Food is delicious, traditional in a French style. The selection of wines is amazing. Friendly and very professional staff.

Very good service, and the food and cocktails were phenomenal. I’ve had caviar in the US, but this was the first time I ever found it delicious (caviar truffle egg and a pizza with caviar, both were amazing overall too). Pasta was excellent as well, cooked just right (many times the pasta is overcooked), and the white sauce on the pizza and pasta is some of the best I’ve ever had, and not the unnecessarily thick kind you get in the US. I didn’t get the chance to try the lobster, but it looked very good as well.

They have a really interesting menu. We couldn't resist so we took the lobster bisque, the lobster roll with caviar and the chocolates with caviar. All were nice. Of the chocolates had less caviar so it was like a normal sweet, the other one felt different. Service was good.

This place offers all of the luxurious things: caviar, lobster, champagne & truffles. We went mainly for the lobster rolls, but enjoyed the caviar tastings, as well. The costs are definitely spendy, but it felt like a fun splurge.

Quaint caviar shop in the center of Helsinki. In contradistinction to American caviar places, this shop had a laidback vibe appealing to a younger audience. The caviar was fantastic and only better than some of the more expensive caviar houses we've visited stateside. The servers were attentive and friendly. The caviar and accompaniments including truffle toast were delicious and we only regret not being able to take some home with us! Highly recommended when in Helsinki, you won't be disappointed.

We found this restaurant by chance, and it was a pleasant discovery. The food was good, and the standout dishes for us were the soup and the caviars with eggs. Both were well-prepared and enjoyable.

Didn’t have anything to eat, but La Torrefazione had the second best coffee I’ve had in Helsinki and they truly are for serious coffee lovers. It’s very near central Helsinki and the central train station and it’s the only specialty coffee you can get around the area (without walking too far). I highly recommend this shop for coffee lovers!

Went there for a quick lunch and was very pleased with everything. Super friendly staff and beautiful food. If you're not so hungry, then having a cup of coffee or a sandwhich are also great options. I ordered a beetroot-feta puree soup that was their lunch special offer and it was delicious. Even though the place is rather small, the interior feels quite spacious and cozy at the same time. Location is also very convenient.

Very nice restaurant with high quality food and very good service. This was certainly one of the best pizzas I ever had. The drinks and dessert are quite expensive though, it pretty much doubles the price of your meal (from ~20€ to ~40€)... Especially since the dessert was pretty small. But if you skip on drinks and dessert, you will have a really good pizza for a decent price. I will come back for sure.

One of the best if not best pizzeria in Helsinki. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and a nice terrace. The staff is very friendly. Also a big plus for their seasonal pizzas they serve and the high quality ingredients they use. It's clear that they do pizzas with passion which is not something all pizzerias do.

The terrace is unpleasant: the ground is uneven, it’s adjacent to a busy road yet has no fencing, and the parasols are awkwardly placed. The pizza is mediocre at best, sometimes is tastes burnt (as if something scorched under them in the oven), while others are undercooked. The pizzas ordered at the same time were not served at the same time and half of us needed to wait while other ones were already eating. The staff are friendly but service slow. The place has potential, but I wouldn’t recommend it in its current state. Lunch prices are reasonable, but prices outside of lunch hours are excessively high considering it’s also self service.

Excellent and really friendly service. Unfortunately the pizzas have failed to impress me year after year. This time can also blame myself for ordering a lunch pizza with canned tuna topping. The pizzas are not bad but there are better Neapolitan pizzerias in Helsinki.

The best Thai starter soup we have ever had travelling anywhere, with julienned fresh ginger, lemon grass, celery, mushrooms, and more- very refreshing, warming, and savory. Two of us then ate chicken curry, and the others ate chicken fried rice, and we devoured all of it. Delicious. Unlimited hot water for hot tea, fresh fruit, and cookies for dessert. The owners were welcoming, generous with portions. The restaurant was full to capacity, and they kept everyone happy and full. We overheard a couple of tables mention that they come to this restaurant every time they are in Helsinki due to the balance of flavor and spice of the dishes. Highly recommend!

The food was okay, but the portions were small. 18€ for a small bowl of soup felt expensive, even though the soup tasted really good. We also ordered chicken with basil and chili, but got chicken with green beans instead and there was no basil at all. That was strange because I’ve had this dish before and it never had green beans. It was a bit disappointing.

Very tasty food for very good price, comes in very good portion. The space is kind of small but very cozy! I would totally recommend. The only thing bothers me is that I need to pay 0.5e for a box to take away my left over food (portions is big👆). As I mentioned the price is cheap for lunch, so not a big deal, but it probably not encouraging for people to pack their left overs.

Amazing sushi with guaranteed freshness! The drinks menu was varied from tasty cocktails to teas. They also offered different bowl and pocket options for hungrier humans. My main reason for subtracting a star boils down to some minor stuff like the early closing time, slightly aloof service and lack of desserts. The atmosphere is very artsy chic and the servers carried that same vibe well. Test it out!

I love Sushibar+wine in any case. I love the environment. The staff was a group of beautiful women who accommodate alternative cocktail options for us. I think the pricing and portions are fine for people with small appetites for a budget friendly experience. It’s in a busy stop so it gets fully booked in the evenings but we were there last minute and the staff was nice enough to give us a table.

We went there twice in 4 days! Great Sushi, Great sashimi, we loved their seaweed salad and the mega miso soup. It’s all organic and Home made, good selection of organic wine’s and other Drinks!

We had reservation made trough link in their website. When areived they were not very friendly as they didnt find the name. Apparently resevation was for two hours later even tough I had the email showing coreect time. They didnt care about email and coused lot of trouble to find place for us in the mostly empty restaurant. Rest of the dinner service was not great also for this price, felt like we were in fast food place. Food was great even tough orders were mixed. Meaby good for ordering from wolt but would bother going there again in person.

The take-away ramen is surprisingly good! I expected that the take-away noodle would be more or less sticky; however, it was still very bouncy and solid when the delivery arrived. The meat broth is literately "fat"😋, it goes so well with noodle, portk belly, egg and the shredded leeks. Dining outdoor at in summer time is even better!

Staff were friendly and helpful. Dishes were a good idea but lacked something to really bring the wow factor from other ramen restaurants. The buns were tiny and undercooked (buns were still doughy), the pumpkin potstickers was flavorful but not as effective as an overall dish as I would have hoped, the ramen (one tofu and the other mushroom) had very salty broth which was too heavy to finish. Also the portion is much smaller than other ramen restaurants. Good selection of vegetarian / vegan options but they just need to tweak the overall end result a bit to bring about a truly magical dining experience. But overall a good attempt.

Went there after reading reviews and was a bit disappointed. Didn't like the taste of neither broth nor noodles, (the meet was good though), but the whole combination of broth, noodles, meat, egg and greens didn't taste good to me at all. My guess is wether you like their ramen or not mainly depends on personal taste. I prefer ramen in another place, where I enjoy dishes every visit. I gave 3 starts because the staff is friendly, meat was good, but there was awful smell in the place of pork being cooked. To conclude, go there and try their food, maybe this ramen is for your taste and this place will become your favorite.

Very welcoming staff, delicious worth the price Ramen (I guess there were other items on the menu too), non-wheelchair accessible. Bear in mind t’s a bit warm sitting on the second floor in summer.

As a disclaimer I've got to say I usually eat chicken ramen with a different broth elsewhere, and this was my second time ever with tonkotsu. I was disappointed, as I expected a richly flavored broth as a result of the workload this meal requires (broth especially). Aside from being fatt yas the broth should be, any actual discernable flavor (at least to my palate) was absent. I tasted my companion's tofu ramen, which was far more flavorful. The spicy pork ramen variant would have had more contents along with just the marinated egg this meal had. I'll need more experience to say whether the tonkotsu broth here is actually what it is supposed to taste like, but I hope I'm wrong. Next time I visit I'll have to try the salmon or chilled umami ramen. The service and the place were nice, I just may have had way too high expectations for the meal here.

🤔 Easy to miss the place, as you have to enter the courtyard! When I got there the door was locked, so could have easily passed by! Loved every bit of the experience! Had my first pulled jackfruit dish - not only was it very yummy, but the serving size was generous as well. Without the price going over the roof. The staff is very friendly, the atmosphere chill. I also liked the fact that they have a daily zero waste dish - made from scraps, so that less food is wasted. Definitely recommended!

Tasty, simple healthy food, polite staff. Salad lunch costs 12.5 for 500g, i took a full plate and paid 8 euros. Bread, hummus, and drinks are included. Interior is quite cozy, i enjoyed my time here.

Just down a small alley off the main street, with Hands Down the best vegan feed in or near Centrum. The OmNam Balls were out of this world , and the lime yoghurt, beetroot and licorice desert is an absolute must!!!

Not great, not bad. The starters were really good but main courses could've been better with a bit of effort. The starters came really late and right after we had finished them they brought the main course. The food was good considering it's an Italian restaurant in Finland. A bit pricy maybe, I would do the same portions myself with half the cost.

We had the linguine alla carbonara, the staff was nice enough to change the meat choice. However, it was under seasoned and the chicken was under cooked having a bad taste. The Parmigiano pizza was okay, nothing special.

We ordered the 5 dish menu. Both fish dishes were really lovely but two of the dishes (tartar and beef something) were quite boring and flavourless. Dessert was definitely interesting! Service could have been a bit more in depth, we didn't get much info about the wine selection and not many other drinks than wine were available. Quite small portions, we were left hungry but the dishes looked fabulous. Average good, it was a nice dinner but wouldn't neccesarily go again.

Really nice and cozy atmosphere (esp. if you book a table towards the back side of the restaurant). Food was really delicious, everything we ordered was good. My favourite was the Celeriac Slider. Enjoyed the vibe, food and different wines (the cheese plate was average and very small). The selection could be better (esp with the drinks..also there were no non-alcoholic options), and you can not change anything in the tasting menu, which was a bummer. Overall, I would recommend the place and would go again. Its a nice place to hangout with your friends and enjoy a long evening with good food and vibes.

Wino must be one of the best restaurants in Helsinki. It is definitely my favourite. The food is always amazing. The wine is delicious. The staff is super nice and the cosy look of the place just makes you feel so comfortable to just sit down for hours.. would recommend it anytime!

Fantastic food and friendly service with fairly affordable prices, and plenty of gluten free options. We had the 5 course menu and enjoyed everything we were offered. The flavors were clear, well balanced and distinguishable, the ingredients were fresh and used well and the portion sizes were good. Everything on the menu was gluten free to begin with, except their self made bread which was substituted with a gluten free option. One of the cheaper menu prices (59€ for 5 courses) compared to similar restaurants in the city. The wines served by glass were pretty good, but not my personal favorites. The price was comparable to others in the city. No predefined wine package to go with the menu, but recommendations by the staff. Would definitely visit again for the food.

Cozy atmosphere and interior. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Allergies were accommodated and good selection of different and innovative dishes. Not your average wines, but really nice one’s. Also special spirit available when asked, from Georgia.

Great place with a cozy atmosphere and every friendly people! Our waiter gave us a lot of help to find a very nice natural wine in addition to regular wine later. We had a set menu, and all of the dishes were very good and also looked very nice. A place worth going back to, if I’m every in Helsinki again!

What the place! The food was so interesting and so tasty. The wine list was very interesting and we got change to try 3 different ones. If you are Helsinki, this place is MUST to visit, eat and enjoy. The table reservation is needed at least on Friday and Saturday.

Stumbled across this place on my first stroll - located inside the food market! Highly recommend, their food is incredibly good, served fresh and fast. I had the noodles with salmon (very good portion, lots of fish) and the chicken dumplings. Definitely worth a visit!

We went to this restaurant because it was highly recommended. We ordered a dish with salmon and noodles. The dish basically consisted of a lot of noodles, mayonnaise and a small piece of salmon. It wasn't bad, but paying 15 euros for 90% noodles was a mistake. For this reason, I don't recommend it and I won't go back to this restaurant. Since we went late in the day, I even thought there were no more ingredients.

If you can’t stand spicy food, you can definitely request to the staff. There’s non spicy food options as well. The prices are also quite cheap considering the restaurant being in the city centre. The atmosphere doesn’t look so promising but the food compensates everything else 😊 the staff were very friendly as well. I would love to come back if I ever go to Helsinki again someday!

Do not be turned away by construction out front. This is a hidden gem!! We had spect Noodles and Fried Udon Noodles. The spice was perfect with the addition of chili oil.

The food is amazing! We went as a group. Everyone loved the food. As a foodie myself this restaurant exceeded my expectations. Food had flavors, portion size were good, the price was affordable, service was quick (we were the only ones at the time). This is hidden gem where I will come again. Unfortunately, I was too eager to eat and didn't took any photos.

Unfortunately, I managed to get there only 20 minutes before closing. I was offered to take food with me, which I did. It turned out to be a wonderful vegetarian pho, very good in terms of spices, with a rather unusual filling. So I hope that next time I will be able to try something else in this cafe.

Had a short stop here for some Easter pastries on my way to another coffee shop. The pastries here are better than their coffee for sure, I wouldn’t call it a specialty cafe. The easter pastry with lemon cream I had was quite tasty and if I had space in my stomach I would have ordered more breads or pastries. The lady in the cafe was wonderful and really nice!

Cute patio with an Italian feel! Food was alright, we order the truffle noochi and a burrata pizza. The pizza crust was a bit dry and too thin for my liking. The truffle pasta was pretty good with shavings of truffle on top. The staff were friendly and spoke English well. I recommend this place for a bit to eat in the city!

It was a very nice place and the service was amazing. Thank you for the smiles and good mood. The place also looks very nice, with nice music and cute little tables. However, we found the food to be very salty and quite pricey for what it was. The dough was amazing though, but I found the Calzone and the Manzelone to be not so tasty sadly. The Bruschetta was great and the bread was also delicious. Maybe we got unlucky! We were a bit disappointed given the price of each item. Not a bad experience overall.

The restaurant is beautifully decorated and we enjoyed the atmosphere here. We came for dinner and between the four of us, we shared the nduja pizza (delicious), tricolore pizza (simple but good), the prawn and lemon (good portion of prawns and liked the flavour) and the lasagne with mushrooms and truffle (quite rich but still good). The service was attentive and polite.

Order the burrata, gnocchi and lasagna. Can’t go wrong. The wine selection is beautiful. The waiters know their stuff. It’s a cost place. Oh, portion sizes are not exactly big. So you will need more than just a single dish.

Great drinks! Nice service and all right food. We shared quite many different portions and everything was fine. I think almost all the portions just missed something. Some small touch to make good to great. But all over experience was nice and good value for money. I think next time I will be sitting at the bar, enjoy couple of Negronis and have smaller snacks. Little piece of Italy in Helsinki. Fabulous interior, do not miss the bathrooms and hand washing “fountain”. Sometimes limited menu (bo pizza). Lot of delicious gluten-free options available. Good for couples or bigger parties, outdoor seating available during summer. Reservations are recommended.

I found this place when I have transit for my next bus, decided to drop by since my stomach crumble to get a breakfast 😁 I ordered cinnamon bread/roll (forgot what is name on the menu I just pointed at it) and cappuccino. I like the taste and softness on the bread, the taste so yummy and combine with the coffee it’s really unbeatable combination.

Coffee was on the acid note, in the range of my experience in Helsinki so far, and in a lovely cup set. Attention to details with candles on the table and cushions, make for a cosy and inviting space. And a warm “Kiitos Paljon” 🫶to the friendly and patient staff member who was kind enough to let my try order in Finnish and replied in Finnish, 🇫🇮

Such a great, lovely, cute and girlish place with everything pink and adorable, I just love how it looks inside, the aroma of fresh bread and a good selection of cakes and pastry. Was hunting for the Granny Smith's mousse cake there for a while since it was sold out every time I arrived, but finally got it and it was very gentle, may be even too gentle for me, but still good. Next time going there for lunch since I heard super nice comments about the salmon soup there, and definitely going to hunt for their carrot cake. + Wonderful coffee

Overpriced and boring. Got a takeaway with Passio and Tumma suklaa-kirsikka leivokset. Taken into account size per price ration, I was expecting some unique and mastered flavors. Let’s get one thing straight — the desserts looked absolutely outstanding and delicious. Hence, the expectations were set high. I preferred chocolate pastry to the Passion one, but none of those tasted delicious enough to make a comeback. Passio pastry: the acidity of passion fruit did not work well together with the rest of the mousse, and the pastry ended up tasting like spoiled cottage cheese. Tumma suklaa-kirsikka: everything is in place, but the flavors are just... mediocre? I wish there was more punch from the cherry. Maybe next time I should just grab the buns :)

A pistachio cheesecake that tastes like lemon. Must change the name to lemon cheeskake. So disappointing, and for that price one would expect raw pistachio...

Bad experience and definitely not authentic Vietnamese foods served here! Mango salad was one of the dishes that I ordered during my first and for sure the last visit. The cashier didn't informed me that they run out of mango until they served all other three dishes. She asked me if I could take the lotus salad instead with the ready made lotus salad bowl on her hand. I was like, “okay, she has made it, so yeah”. Disappointedly, the dish was served without any sauce in it, and the liquid at the bottom of the bowl was remaining from the boiled noodles I guess. I hoped I was wrong, and tried to mix the stuff, but then it tasted awfully plain. I brought the bowl to the counter and asked if the girl forgot to add spices. She firmly said that 3 types of sauces were put in there 😂 I had nothing to say but quietly left the place without any touch to the bowl of salad.

I ordered 1 pho soup with 6.9e. I imagine that the bowl is small but it was beyond our expectations, not only quality but also taste. I were very satisfied by the food, and really happy. We’ll be back

I and a native friend love our lunch last month at Bumicafe, we had "Bun Thit Nuong", "Com Tam", summer rolls and dumblings. The main dishes are really good and in good portion with 10.9€. My friend enjoyed "Bun Thit Nuong" very much. I like them all, especially the dumbling, it is phenomenal. A nice and cozy place to have a taste of Vietnamese-Asian cuisine, I highly recommend.

Delicious food and quiet atmosphere in the weekend. If you enjoy these aspects, this is a go-to place. I really enjoyed bibimbap here. This is not the usual bibimbap in Korean restaurant, as it used tiger prawns, fried egg and kimchi, not the typical beef and vegetables in Korean bibimbap. Highly recommended. Unfortunately the menu is a bit pricy.

Tucked away in a little street in Kallio/Hakaniemi, K3 has some tasty and surprising dishes--an excellent place for lunch! Fast, friendly service and food to match. I grew up in Hawaii, so definitely had to try the Hawaii Poke Bowl!

If the price tags on the dishes were lower this place would absolutely get 5 stars. Loved the food and the drinks, but the place was a bit exorbitant even for the Helsinki price range (25-30€ for mains, 10€ for a starter of two deep fried prawns). Would love to go again but will probably settle for another japanese restaurant next time around.

decent bibimbap, very small though

I had to choose a star rating in the middle since I entered the restaurant in a quiet afternoon. Therefore can’t say much, a bit weird the place was so quiet, practically dead. Kitchen was closed, Italian lager was cold and service sluggish but friendly.

I have eaten here for the syö week, taking a funghi pizza. Waiters were kind, nice, professional, nothing to complain about. Pizza was good, maybe lacking a bit of salt but that is on personal taste. Dessert carte a bit disappointing and prices a slightly high in general. It's anyway an Italian cuisine restaurant in Helsinki. All in all, a nice experience :)

Overall, a buffet with free refills for 11,3€ is nothing to sneeze at. Or a salad/soup buffet for 10€. The low score is because they have tendency to throw cheese or meat in 90% of their mixed salads, making it quite hard to be able to go with the salad buffet for a vegan and a lactose intolerant person. Could easily be fixed by having feta on the side, or using other ingredients for fat in the mixed salads if that is why (oils, avocado, nuts, squash, etc). Of course you cannot account for every single allergy, but lactose is a big one and has been for many many years. Other than that, it is definitely value for money and worth the price.

A business center lunch restaurant during luchtime. Sometimes the menu does not correspond to what you find in the buffet. The buffet is usually OK, especially good salads. Atmosphere is modern and business center-like, but above average.

Usually very solid lunch, excellent salad table, sometimes their seasoning is off, either too much or too little on the main dishes. Still very good deal for a lunch. Edit: so much problems with the lunch food, today the beetroot lasagne actually had no taste and awful texture. Salad still good.

Quality varies, I guess it depends on who is in the kitchen, but overall I am very satisfied with the food and service. Luckily you can always check the menu in advance and if it doesn't make you happy, you can go somewhere else. Vegetarian (main) meals are really poor most of the time, but salad table is very good. Soups are usually good, but sometimes they don't taste like anything. There are days when they serve desserts and they also have good coffee. You can also use an app Soupster to get every 10th (or 11th) lunch for free (I apologize if this is misleading). I am also very thankful that despite the situation in the world, the price is very reasonable! Thank you!

Italian it was not, but instead basic buffet style fare. The entire ground floor space was optimized for seating space without much thought for aesthetics leaving the space feeling a bit like a school cafe.

I saw this cute coffee shop from outside of the tram so i decided to take a lunch on my stay in Helsinki. On my travels i try to find small businesses like this one and support them as much i can. I ate mashed potatoes with zucchini + salad . It was homemade and good. Later on I wanted americano but i got filter coffee (probably they don’t have it but unfortunately girl that served me didn’t understood at all what I wanted). She was speaking great English so it was not about language. I took as well chocolate muffin, i asked same girl if cakes are homemade but unfortunately her interest to tell me about cakes was zero. So i took chocolate muffin that was not good, dry and full of soda bicarbonate. Atmosphere was nice, even though it is small place it is cute and cozy. Service, could improve a lot. I would like that someone told me that in my lunch is included small piece of cake (saw it later on when girl near me took it).

Café was too sweet and very little coffee in it, but the cale was very very good and fresh. Service was good, and although the place itself is very nice and comfortable, as soon as there are a few more people and it gets loud it is very annoying because it has some echo in it. Other than that, it is nice for a quick snack and the windows are big and you can just chill looking at the street.

My favorite cafe in Helsinki. Delicious food and great coffee in reasonable prices. They also have cardamum cappuccino which is awesome. They have excellent cakes and they keep changing the variety so every time I come in there are new options. The quiches are tasty as well and I often have my lunch here with a quiche or pasta. Highly recommended.

Small place that has really nice vibes, good food and lovely service. I can definitely recommend the crispy set and veggie dumplings. This was some of the more delicious sushi I've had the pleasure of eating in Finland. I'd say the value is good for what you get.

Beautiful decor and design choice Music is amazing As someone who loved Japan this feels like home. Sushi is innovative and yummy! Customer service is my reason for 5 Star. They handled all issues perfectly. I don’t understand why people are so cheap and stingy if someone is doing their best that’s enough perfection is not humane. I’ve ordered delivery multiple times and been there twice now. Which is why I think I have a good picture of the food too.

The owner was so rude! Please beware! My bf and I wanted to try a new spot and I really wanted pasta like back home in the US! I just googled and saw pictures and it reminded me of home so we finally came. My bf always looks at reviews and I don’t lol. I don’t wanna judge too quick. There was really nothing I wanted other than Alfredo pasta and my bf went to go order and the owner stated just one pasta? JUST ONE? For like one person? Each pasta is for one person only. (I have not seen a sign anywhere that stated one pasta per person) I thought it was beyond rude he started yelling at my bf while I waited at the table. I got up once I heard the owner stating if we wanted McDonald’s it’s down the street, so I happily stated we wanted McDonald’s and left. Before my bf even ordered while we sat there with the menu, the own called across the restaurant and asked if we were Indian and we both stated no (sorry we are a bit of a caramel tone but we aren’t Indian/ not from India). He later came and stated if we wanted Indian food we can have that as well. I read a review stated he called someone out for being Indian or asking. This guy doesn’t deserve your hard earned money. He honestly should be sent back from wherever he is from. Probably India.

I've been here twice, ordered a panini both times, and both times I also waited for nearly an hour for my food even though the place was clearly not busy. I've also bought their baguettes from the nearby K-Market, and when they say the baguette includes cucumber, tomato, etc., it means there's one slice of each. Unimpressive.

The salad was not too bad but I really liked the spaghetti bolognese I had. The owner is very kind and friendly, too. However I found it a bit uncomfortable with their cleanliness - a sticky table and dusts on the chair. Besides that, everything was just fine.

Tasty salads and a nice breakfast. Also serves paninis, smoothies, pastas, indian food and chicken wings, which haven't yet tried. Although located on a busy street, the inside of the cafe is very cozy and the staff is friendly, so it's also a nice place to work with your computer.

I saw they advertised 6e breakfast with a bunch of things included and had bagels so I was excited to visit. Unfortunately the 6e breakfast is advertised in a very disengenuous way. Not all the things they list are included, you have to pick and choose and depending on your choice it might be 6 or 8e. I gave up trying to find the right combination and instead paid 8e for a mediocre breakfast including a small sour tasting smoothie and a Lidl bagel. The decor is pleasant but I left hungry and disappointed.

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER I’ve ordered only a sandwich not some fancy dishes and I’ve waited for like an hour, the bar is not full of ppl, my friend and I think we are forgotten by them, so what takes so long????? And the food is sooooooo average, I will never come back again

Had both hotpot and BBQ here! The beef and lamb rolls were tender and flavorful, and the mochi dessert was lovely. The banana sweet was the real highlight, light and refreshing at the end of the meal. Great place to come with friends, and I’ll definitely return.

WORSTTTTT SERVICES AND EXPERIENCES!! ( We 13 of us, won’t recommend this place to anyone. ) 🤯🤯 The restaurant's environment and food were average and didn’t meet expectations. However, the service was terrible,by far the worst I’ve had in Helsinki. I celebrated my birthday with 13 friends, and the staff, especially our waitress, was rude. She kept interrupting us to turn off the hotpot gas and seemed extremely angry that we didn’t finish few portions of noodles . At €33 per person, it’s reasonable not to finish every plate extremely neatly. The cashiers also treated us badly, as if we were trying to leave without paying. I wouldn't recommend this place; they ruined a special day.

Great hotpot buffet with a wide variety of ingredients! The beef meatballs are delicious, and the banana ice cream (a must-try, besides the mochi) is absolutely amazing. They also serve stir-fried dishes and grilled fish. Definitely coming back next time!

Serves an authentic Chinese hotpot and bbq experience if you're craving this cuisine. We came here for the steamboat for our dinner, and quite enjoyed the experience. Typical buffet style, with very generous serving of prawns, though the food selection is somewhat limited. The soup was okay and came in individual pots, though surprisingly they did not provide pork for the hotpot. Choices for hotpot food is somewhat limited, but enough to fulfill the craving. Service was not too bad and they even gave free water, along with delicious ice cream and mochi to go with the food. Okay experience.

Unacceptable Experience – Nausea, Poor Quality, and High Price We're feeling nauseated and have been for the past five hours, directly after our meal. The meat and seafood did not look fresh, which is a serious concern. We really should've checked the Google reviews before going. We visited based on old recommendations from friends who raved about this place years ago, and honestly, I had no doubts it would be great. It makes me wonder if there's been a change in ownership, management, or even the chef, because the overall experience we had was miles away from the "very good" reputation I have heard about. Definitely not what we expected. Beyond the quality issues, the buffet selection was disappointingly small. For €32 per person for the hotpot and grill, the price simply doesn't match the limited food options or the poor quality. While the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, communication was quite challenging because no one seemed proficient in either English or Finnish. Spending €72 on two buffets and drinks, especially considering my 12-year-old daughter eats next to nothing, felt like an absolute waste of money. The value simply wasn't there. I can confidently say I would never, ever recommend this place to anyone.

A pretty decent place to have Chinese hotpot with various meats and veggies to choose from in the buffet section. Their spicy broth is alright, although I wish the “ma” (numbing) flavor were stronger. You get to mix and make your dipping sauce, too, so that feels authentic and similar to the restaurants I went to in China. The price comes with dessert, and I must recommend their sesame balls!

I would say it is a casual restaurant. I wouldn't dress up too much, unless you want your favourite dress to smell like barbecue. Very hot and stuffy atmosphere with strong smell of barbecue. The staff were okay, seemed a bit stressed. When i visited the place they only offered hot pot or barbecue, the other dishes on the menu were not available because the kitchen was too busy. The food was okay, I'm not a fan of the Asian cuisine but my friends liked it.

If there would be six stars to give, I would give all of them. Everything I’ve ever eaten at Päijänne, has been amazing. Everything is self made and almost everything is vegan and gluten free. This is our favorite cafe in Helsinki and for a good reason. Even our dog loves the place.

Easily one of the best cafes around the Vallila/Hermanni/Sörnäinen area. Everything on offer - coffee, sweet and savoury edibles - are excellent. Breakfast plate is simple but all the more delicious. On top of all that, the barista is just lovely, and the cafe is slightly less expensive than other similar places near the area. The only downside is that this is a one man operation which means that waiting times can be a bit long, but it is easily worth it.

Best cup of coffee I have had in Finland! Very friendly staff and a great cup of coffee. I had a flat white and the extraction was excellent. There was no bitterness and there was a strong rich flavor. I would definitely recommend coming of you enjoy good coffee.

Visiting Helsinki and have been searching for an omelette breakfast. The ham and feta omelette may in fact be the best one I’ve ever had. Enjoyed my salad and cappuccino as well. May return every morning for the remainder of my trip.

Even thought we’ve been waiting our sandwiches to be made for almost 40 mins, it was really worth the wait. We ordered lepina sandwich with egg and bacon, it was truly delicious! We enjoyed our lunch on a terrace and would definitely come again!

Meli returns as top one of our brunch places in Helsinki. We tried Cevapcici which we recommend so much and next time we will go directly for the 10 pcs one — the sausage was so tasty! If you decide to come in weekend morning, get prepared that the place will be super busy, waiting time is slightly long and you need to get the water by yourself and probably take the napkins from other tables where available. Just feel and enjoy the hustle and bustle.

The bread and pastries looked awesome, the place very cosy and inviting; however, despite my intention to stay in for a coffee and bun, I decided to leave the place before being served. The young lady at the counter seemed so busy preparing a tray for a customer that couldn't even acknowledge that there were two people wanting in front of her; no "hello", no "just a moment", nothing at all,not even eye contact. At some point there were other people coming out of the kitchen side, but I and the other customer waiting had the same treatment. In the end I left without buying anything. Total lack of basic customer service. And all this on a weekday around 9.30.

One of the very few options to avoid starvation at 3 am. But the Double Big Tasty with fries was quite ok and enjoyable at that time. Service was very friendly and flexibly changed my order to exclude the bacon. No complaints!

A classic McDonald’s noting special. Just went for the ice-cream noting more tried downstairs was nice upstairs was kinda of full of people but nice in general but the chocolate on the top of the ice-cream were super hot which was kinda of annoying

Very good service and accommodating staff. Asked for extra sauce and they were willing to do that happily. Though fries and mc crispy both were slightly better over cooked/ over fried than ideal, but i believe it was pretty late and could be one of the rare thing.

I don't usually search for Mc Donald's outside of the U.S. (even less at home) but this one was exceptional. Very clean, easy to order in multiple languages, sitting was clean and spacious. Restrooms were clean with hot water for hand washing ( most U.S. locations only supply cold water).

The screens are so much easier to order from when it is busy, and I love that you can get a number to put at your table and have them bring it to you. The food was much better than the McDonald’s food in the US. The only problem was that the women’s restroom on the top floor could have been better. I’m not sure why the toilet seat was broken off 🤷🏻‍♀️

I'll never going to be able to eat at McDonald's in America as I am celiac. As I was in Finland where 10% of the population is celiac I felt in home to test and eat a legit burger at McDonald 100% gluten free, no cross contamination. For celiacs, I would strongly recommend to try it out with confidence
