If I had to compare this venue I'd it reminds me a lot of The Academy in Manchester . To me its the perfect venue size and the sound quality was epic.

Cool to finally visit the famous Tavastia club for a concert! I liked the quality of the sound as well as the size of the venue: not too small, not too massive. There's also a very cool Heartagram lamp on the ceiling 😎 Things I wasn't happy about: - the mandatory coat check for FOUR(!!) euro - the lack of airconditioning or at the very least ventilation - the location of the toilets: all the way back at the entrance, so quite impractical! In other venues they're much closer to the actual concert room

The legendary and best rock club in Finland. The sound is adorable. The saturday Disco used to be a Nice place for younger adults. The prices are a bit High thought. Still 5/5

Fantastic night club! This venue comprises several bars and dance floors set within historical interiors across two floors. There was a 15-minute wait in line before we entered, but otherwise, everything was great: the interior, vibe, and people were very nice

Pay 10 euro to wait on the long and slow "Vip" queue, then pay again up enter a mediocre, overcrowded club with basic alcohol choices and weird bar staff that literally do not talk, they nod. The guards were unpleasant and reminded me that we were in Eastern Europe. Such a strange experience. Bye and see you never. 🤗

Main dance floor is quite unique with all the pictures in the frames and high ceiling. Overall a nice place. Recommend! Music could be better ;)

If someone wants to lose self-respect for few hours then this is the best place. VIP queue can pay bribe to the unethical guard and pass the regular queue. They know it's insulting but still going on. We waited for 70 minutes. Music playlist is just a random one 2012-2013 era YouTube playlist. Even 13-year old kid can pay better music. Beer was warm, cocktails were full of crushed ice which makes instantly watery. Only good thing about them is the lady works in cloakroom. She does her job well.

Pretty cool place the line is always full to make the place look full which is understandable the security company wanna be cool but sometimes it's so long which is not fine. Place vibe is nice for a hangout and cheap drinks.

One of the few places open on a Thursday night until 4 am in central Helsinki. An old tradition worth checking at least once if you live in town. Mostly geared towards cishetero business casual types. Tries very hard to project an air of old money and exclusivity. Doesn't mind showing its decadence, or rather decay (worn out bathrooms, sticky floors, broken glasses everywhere on a busy night). Getting through the queue is easy, just make the bouncers think you're confident you'll get in and cause a lot of alcohol to be sold.

Was there yesterday. My shoe broke 😂 and there was an amazing security guy/barman Antonio ( I think ) who came to rescue and got me a new pair of shoes and I felt like a princess. Thank you so so much! Amazing service♥️

Was here on Saturday night and it was so crowded! Super fun and the DJ also knew to play what music!!! Entrance was 13e and the staff also super nice! will definitely come back here!

Kinda disappointed with the music system there. No bass and 1 room had 4 speakers and the other had only 1 what the hell is that I've got a better sound setup at home than this. The DJ was also off and the headcount was quite low too. Had high hopes but turned out to be a disappointment. You've to pay security + entrance which depends on the event normally 15-20 eur. The staff was nice they also have an outdoor terrace too.

Fraudulent advertisement. According to their website, there is 5€ tickets when coming before 10.30. However, when you get there on time there is such a long line that it is impossible to actually get those tickets. Seems to be just a trick to lure customers into their club at an early hour and charge the normal expensive entrance anyways. Would not recommend.

Same concepts as ääniwalli and stidiläs. Guud raundapauts for weekends. First go kaiku have fun, when its time to take hikings from kaiku go to stidilä after stidiläs i would recommend pataässä and from ther to ääniwalli. After that you go working on monday with smile on your face

Yo, it's gone bad. I bought my ticket way advance, and still had to compete with people who hadn't bought the ticket. I was in the line for 1h. Bar tenders have no glue what they are doing, but the sec people were nice and pro. I want that Kaiku will remain safe, but god it's awful present day

One thing was problematic in Kaiku. The stairs were terrible where you came in, I almost fell down because I cannot see the floor and stairs were very steep. Otherwise it was quite an experience.

We were six people all bought the entrance ticket of 15e/person. First music was very not pop-ish and floor was too bright. We waited 3 more hours to get it better, but DJ was so stubborn with his song and lighting choices, was a huge disappointment. Please organize better events next time and i hope my feedback can be reached to the DJs of today. It was so much better when we were here last week, with proper darker settings and music. Sad that our night was ruined, please give the feedback to both DJs and the organizers behind the kudes linja. Thank you!

Great atmosphere inside (worth going), though it is hideous you have to pay €2 if you just want to get your sweater or anything else (for a 5 min break to go outside) you left at the wardrobe (after you paid already nearly €20 euros per person for entrance, security and wardrobe) … cmon guys is it that much worth the trouble??? “UUDELLEENASIOINTI / REVISIT a €2”

This is a pretty cool night club in Kallio, where there aren't many night clubs. Easy to talk to people and have a good time. Definitely worth a visit if you are looking for a place to continue your night in Kallio.

Stopped in here for beers and fries. The beer was mediocre. The service was horrible. We asked if we should order at the counter or wait in our seats. Told to wait in our seats. No one ever came so we ended up going down to the bar to order the food. DJ was playing upstairs - not too loud.

The place is pleasant. The service is friendly. Big offer of beverages, especially beer. The food is ok. I had a burger. The waiting time however was long. That is the reason for the 3 stars. Still a place to remember if you wish to eat a little later, which is always a problem in Helsinki.

A cool and interesting place in a large building with a wide selection of self-made products—slightly on the pricey side. There's plenty of space for everyone, including groups of all sizes. Food and drinks!

Nice bar and friendly staff. Drinks are pricy or should I say average Helsinki prices in the centre. I visited this bar in the winter and i felt it was a bit chilly inside, usually i feel more comfortable when it's quite warm. But other than that i could probably visit this place again.

Really cool place. Good choices of drinks and the whiskey was really good! Atmosphere was cozy and relaxing. Only minus was the staff that never smiled and seemed to be bothered that you were there.

One of my favourite places in Helsinki. Cozy and easy access from hotels nearby. Visited here for decades. Nice to have something to eat even late. Some of the staff could be more customer friendly (meaning, at least, smile and enjoy that you still have a job...)

Good selection of craft beer, very nice bartender who helped me pick out a few beers to try, and the cold cheese board was very good. 🍻🧀🫒 I also noticed that they have board games available which is nice 👾

The Panorama drink was great and so pretty! Lovely view especially in the great weather we got. Only perks were the prices and maybe the final stair you have to take after the elevator but I think that is a part of the experience

Veeti is a gem. He mixes amazing drinks with the utmost of professionalism. The lovely roof top bar on top of our hotel, Torni, couldn’t get much better. A full 360 degree view of Helsinki is @ your fingertips!

A bar with a view. It's situated on the 11th floor of a hotel and elevators are tiny (2 elevators in different locations). As expected, cocktails are pricey. We liked how they tasted, but wish the portions could be bigger for the price. This place is super busy and gets crowded in the afternoon so come early or on a weekday. The panoramic view of the city is the biggest highlight especially before sunset. Unfortunately, we didn't get to visit the famous toilet since people didn't want to come out.

Beautiful sunset and water views, 360 degree view. Comfortable seats inside and out. The Gin and Tonic was excellent, but pricey. We did not have food.

The view at the top is amazing! The bar is difficult and small to move through since it’s so busy. They have another larger bar area, but they don’t have it open. My Hugo Spritz was good!

Pretty bad selection of beers so I decided to go with a cocktail. Espresso Martini was great but a bit pricy. But I guess you choose this place because of the scenery and that was 5/5. It took 5-10 minutes to get an elevator to the top so prepare to take the stairs if you're in hurry.

The drinks are overpriced, the service was rude, and you have to queue between tables just to order. I politely asked if she could fill the glass a bit more and she said, “It’s filled.” (look at the picture also how she put the coffee beans lol + table was dirty). The view is definitely worth seeing, but I’d skip the drinks

Hip bar where you can find chilled beer in a relaxed atmosphere. It has a big terrace outside to sit and talk and an indoor section to dance to some music. Music can sometimes be a bit weird but people seem to like it!

I visited this place once for drinks not food. The place looks nice inside and it seems quite spacious. Drinks are not cheaper than the clubs in the city centre which i found disappointing considering we are in Kallio. I didn't like the music that night and i feel it is a place mostly popular to students.

They had us waiting in an ego queue for 30min while raining and the place was not even busy. Plus the dj could have been a 10 years old kid playing stupid commercial classics and drinks were ultra expensive and not even well served. This place is an insult to intelligence.

Great atmosphere. Buffet food is very good. You can order either a vegetable or meet dish from the menu and help yourself to the salad bar. Price is around €13:50. The price of the Bulmers Cider was €13.50. Wow!!!!!!!!! That ended up being a €30+ lunch! Hmmmmm ...... expensive drink.

Nice and enjoyful bar and terrace right next to Hämeentie besides Kallio district. Outside DJ keeps sure there's cousy and nice music playing along with good variety of drinks and cocktails. Recommended for everyone checking some good place to have good time with friends.

From the moment you step inside, this speakeasy delivers a playful yet atmospheric experience. The dim lighting sets just the right tone—intimate without feeling gloomy—and the music adds to the mood, well-chosen -- and pleasantly unobtrusive. Service was outstanding throughout: attentive, relaxed, and we felt genuinely welcome, though we were walk-ins. The cocktails were a real highlight, both in presentation and taste—creative, balanced, and clearly crafted with care. On their 2025 summer menu there's a modified pina colada -style cocktail, and it's so tasty I had two. Lovely, small courtyard garden. While the prices are on the higher side, the overall quality and experience make it feel justified. A really well hidden gem with real character. We will definitely return.

To be honest I was not expecting that much welcoming and cozy bar! Entrance was passed smoothly :) I really liked the cocktails. Especially "Blissful Bohemian" with nutty, coffee flavours. Anton is a great bartender and chatter. I would highly recommend!

A fun speakeasy, once you figure out where it is! Go inside and ring the bell. The staff were really friendly and we loved the idea that the cocktail menu was also a puzzle story. The place itself is very cozy, it felt like we had slipped back in time. The cocktails were expensive but very good. You have to leave through the back.

Brilliant place with a lot of style. Every cocktail was balanced and the bartenders know what they are doing. No matter if you take from the menu or you want some classic. The history of the place is very intriguing.

A hidden gem right in the center of Helsinki - perfect for a stylish drink before or after dinner. You have to find the hidden doorbell in a treasure chest before getting entrance - prohibition style :) A lovely dark atmosphere and very attentive waiters for the frame - but the star of the show are the drinks! Truly exceptional composition and flavors! A must visit.

Small rock/punk bar with live venue downstairs. Not very busy the night we went but there are plenty locals were friendly and we enjoyed the bands. If you enjoy this place do go and check out the punk museum, it was the guy there that recommended this place to us.

Place where with rude staff, they force you to pay for narikka even if you have no coat and payed an 25 euro entrance ticket, and then they want you to pay extra when you want to go to smoke, definitely should be illegal. Also went to pirpauke show, place got full and you won't be able to see anything, avoid this bar

Nice rock bar. I visited this place on a Wednesday evening and it was not empty but also not too busy. The staff were friendly. Good prices as well. During the summer there are tables outside.

We went rather early so it was quite empty. Happy hour prices, 3.50 specials. Really nice environment, lots to look at. The bathroom grafiitti reminded me of metal bars back in the US. We didn't stay for the music downstairs, maybe next time.

Only went because the recent review (photo attached) made me laugh out loud. Definitely can confirm: it is cocktail heaven. The cocktails are absolutely divine - really well crafted - and the vibe is relaxing and enjoyable too. Highly recommend if you like cocktails (and perhaps for conversion to a lifelong cocktail loving if you don't).

This place lives up to the hype—the mixology is absolutely killer. My bartender, Lauri, was operating on a level of expertise usually reserved for secret agents. Not only was the Toronto cocktail ridiculously smooth and complex (legit!), but Lauri also proved to be the ultimate source for critical Helsinki intel, including where to find the rumored legions of tall Nordic blondes nearby. Come for a perfect Toronto, leave with an elevated buzz and highly actionable directions to your destiny. Lauri is a national treasure. Five stars, plus a map to heaven.

We ended up there on the recommendation of a bartender from another bar, who told us it was their last open night before a big renovation. The place had been cleared of furniture, and the goal was to sell off all the alcohol. We walked in and got an awesome "house party" experience — light cocktails were being served, house shots handed out and the vibe was fully set by the DJ A great experience!😌

We ended up here as the skybar at Hotel Torni was closed, I like to try new things but already have my taste/ type of cocktails so went with a specific drink in my mind. It is a mezcalita, which I had one of the best at Negra Tomasa in Tulum or can be a long drink made of mezcal and passion fruit puree, so far The Liar Man in Athens did the best. Here they didn’t have passion fruit, nor purée to my surprise. They had a pre-made cocktail that contained mezcal and passion fruit too, I was hesitant as pre-made cocktails are hardly ever good (one exception is Granazi in Nicosia, Cyprus) at the end unfortunately I let myself to be convinced by the staff. Well the cocktail came from a big plastic bottle and it had nothing to do with passion fruit flavour, it had a very mild mezcal taste, wonder how much alcohol they really put in it plus it came in plastic glass :( I should have listened to my gut feeling, anyway the staff offered to change it, I didn’t want to be too picky and asked for some lime to make it more sour as it was far too sweet. As it is a recommended place with quite good reviews I didn’t want to leave with a bitter mood, we ordered another round from their signature cocktails, good that we did that. The negroni with basil was very good and refreshing but the winner was the C.R.E.A.M -rum based cocktail with raspberry foam on top, it was something special. All in all the place is ok, nothing special in terms of atmosphere or design, small bar, plastic glasses are a shame, also normally better cocktail bars serve you a small portion of salty nuts or snack next to your drink, I was missing that. Staff was very friendly thought and offered me a 10% discount on my bill for the pre-made cocktail I didn’t like.

This had to be my favourite bar in Helsinki, awesome decor, nice service and good tunes being played at the right volume. I caught up with a friend that evening and it was nice and chilled in the back room. The dude from 69 Eyes has done a good job..also recommend you try the house JD it tastes better than JD (which isn't hard I guess)

Nice bar where you can drink a good beer and listen rock/heavy metal music. It is located in the city center of Helsinki and there is a wide range of beers and drinks. On the walls there are some guitars and paintings of famous musicians like Slash and the famous Finnish heavy metal band Nightwish. The staff is young and friendly. A must visit if you are a fan of heavy metal music.

Amazing rock bar, the best music I've listened in my whole life. The bartenders are friendly and Caroline is the best. They even have Fernet Branca on tap... first time I see something like that. Good beer selections and recommendations as well. This place is a must if you visit the city. Keep rocking 🍺🍺

I came here on the recommendation of a friend. The lady working at the bar was very polite and helpful. She was always interested when I asked for suggestions for a drink and answered my other questions about Finns without getting bored and had short conversations as well. A place I'll definitely visit again.

We stopped by Molly Malone’s in the heart of Helsinki — and we were pleasantly surprised! The draught Guinness was just perfect, exactly as it should be. But the real highlight was the unexpected live Irish music. The atmosphere was warm and lively — truly Irish in spirit. A great spot to enjoy an evening with friends!

I came on an August Sunday for the Irish Folk Trad session, and the musicians were absolutely wonderful! Unfortunately, the bartender’s very unfriendly manner made it difficult to order a drink and still enjoy the atmosphere. To make matters worse, she insisted on keeping the doors wide open for hours, leaving me to sit in a chilly draft with my coat still on.

Had a Guinness here, no food, either period or this time of night. Not sure. They had a solo acoustic guitarist who was Great! They say Guinness is better on this side of the world. It may be true, it was pretty damn good

Probably the most authentic Irish Pub in Helsinki with live music. They also have a lovely terrace in the back. Too bad that at the time it was too cold to sit there (but that's finnish summer for you). Came here to have a pint of Guinness as a "dessert" and was surprised by the extremely nice bar maid asking me if "I wanted a picture on it". I said sure and ended up with a randomly selected picture of the Dalai Lama wearing a flower wreath on it. It was so much fun, me and my friend had to order a second round. That time it was a panda and a lighthouse. I know it is a gimic, but like my friend said she would have never ordered a Guinness in the first place if it wasn't for the picture, so great job getting people hooked on Guinness! Will definitely come back just to show my other friends!

Nice pub although the top floor was closed when we went. I used to live in Ireland for several years so I could say it is kind of authentic. Nice and quite for a chat with your friends. I am curious to see the top floor so i have to go back. The staff were friendly enough.

Ääniwalli is way better after it was renovated last year. Big enough bar, good audio system and more club feeling in general. Be sure to check out VUM on summer sundays.

The club is pretty good, with great sound, but what impressed me the most was the bathroom. Probably the best bathroom in any club in the world.

Beer selection was quite limited and drinks were expensive overall. Visibility to the stage was limited by pillars between stage and tables. Prepaid tickets did not include cloakroom fee. Only good for events where you spend most of the time on the dance floor.

Was there for live artist gig and new bigger event room worked very well for that, having still an intimate club gig feeling. Updated lights and sound system is great!

Great place. Nice design, organization, bar and sound quality of the set up. Also the stage is low, so band-fan vibe is superb and feels like home cozy gig. Yet there is enough space for a lot of people, circle pits, stage diving and other fun stuff.

Rude bar staff. Ordered zero cola, 3 times until she understood what I wanted. Answer we got Pepsi. Slams bottle on the counter. No other words exchanged such as "would you like to have a glass with that, or some ice? ". Got my own glass, no ice and paid a fiver for that privilege. Expensive drinks, 9 euros for small cider also. Bad sound quality as well.

A complete disappointment. The advertisement claimed a mix of international music yet only russian songs were played. both the entrance fee 20 euro and the jacket fee 4 euro is a joke. definitely not a place I would visit again

A bad experience. Went on a Taylor Swift night. Ofcourse paid entrance fee + €4 to keep your bag. The WC situation was pathetic and they have only kept two WC accessible for 50+ girls on a TS night. Was charged €4 for a glass of water (I am not even sure it is was the price, or was I cheated). Will never be back here again.

The place was very overpriced for the service they provided. They assumed that just because we were dancing, we must have been drunk, and even tried to charge us double, the atmosphere was boring, and everyone we met there said they regretted coming. Overall, not worth the money at all.

The music was great and the vibe was great as well. The security guard at the entrance was as rude as anyone can be, and they demand you to pay a 4€ fee to leave your jacket, even if you don't have a jacket to leave. When I asked why the answer was "everyone pays" in the most rude way possible. The information that you have to pay 4€ to get in isn't anywhere, you only know once you pass the first security guards to show your ticket.

Awful club. Entrance on a DEAD week night cost 20€ and drinks (0.3L beer) starting from 10€. Bad music, rude staff. I’ve been to multiple bars and nightclubs all over the world and this has got to be one of the worst experiences ever. AVOID AT ALL COST

They play shitty music. Song transition sucks. Club looks Nice but wont go again. Beverages like everywhere else. Something extra is just View from terrace.

I was appalled when visiting this establishment. The staff were rude and indifferent, and the security guards were extremely rude to me and my partner. On top of the bad customer service, the venue it self had a myriad of fire, and crowd safety hazards which I immediately noticed as an environmental inspector. It is beyond my understanding how this restaurant is even able to legally operate under these conditions. Due to this woeful and gross neglegence on behalf of the staff and security personnel, I have filed a formal complaint with the fire inspectors office, and KYMP.

I'm amazed how nobody in these reviews is mentioning the staff cutting alcohol with water or simply not putting alcohol in drinks. Had one of the worst nightclub experiences here, burned 200€ on drinks without getting drunk, don't make the same mistake I did. Edit: I contacted the owner as requested below and haven't received an answer for them. It's just an attempt to save face while it's a known fact, for over two decades, that in this place, you don't always get what you're paying for.

I will give zero point if possible. Arya starr' event on 4.11.23. The worst service ever. Rude security, very very rude woman at the gate and agressive. Very very bad customer service. People were bribing to go. Strange thing to see in Finland. We were queuing for more than 1 hour in the cold with tickets that were bought in advance. The event is supposed to be sold out. Why were they selling tickets at the gate. Even the VIP queue was not flowing. Poor management, no person to direct us to the VIP area. The VIP area was overcrowded, poor visibity of the stage from the there and you can't hear the music well.

4.11.2023 Ayri Starr event: Bad organization for get in, rude customer service, you pay more for get less with the VIP ticket, even you get ticket in advance doesn’t mean you get in!! People with out tickets was getting in because they know somebody from security! And then people with tickets couldn’t get in! The app for the tickets was bad too, you can’t do an up that the customer can link him self in, and then in the door don’t let you in because the ticket look like used already!!! Ones inside nobody explained where is the VIP area, maybe because they know is a fares VIP area, worst experience ever, we didn’t get to see the artist, the sound was bad, so we paid more for get less. We pay 70€ for long cues in could, 0 service, bad experience and a lot of more money for the drinks.

The K-pop party was so cool, good music and good DJ. The place was spacious and it looks nice. The workers were polite and helpful.

Went to a private event that was paid in advance, but before we could enter we had to pay an extra fee for "security & wardrobe" even if you didn't have a jacket or so. Halfway through the night, when a friend wanted to put her sweater with her jacket (that was already in the wardrobe), they wanted to change her again. Staff is not friendly. This place is a rip-off, don't go here.

It is an okay club. Average music, mostly popular to younger people. If you don't have the membership card drink prices are quite high. While queueing i noticed some people were denied entrance because they were younger than 24. At least this is the reason they were given.

I had an awful experience at MiniClub Helsinki. I was just playing around with a friend, giving him a harmless slap, but the security guard kicked me out in the most aggressive and unprofessional way possible. I ended up with bruises on both arms from being roughly thrown out, all for something that was meant to be fun. My friend tried to explain, but the security didn’t care at all. It was extremely rude, unnecessary, and completely out of line. I felt humiliated and unfairly treated. This behavior was absolutely unacceptable and unprofessional. I demand a full apology from the club for this situation.

10€ entrance (incl. cloak room), tap beer was 9€ and a glass of pop was 6€. Great, dancable LGBT-hits were cut by unknown Eurovision ballads and dubstep-remixes. Between 00-02 there were only like 30-40 people (tiny for such a huge club.) Now when DTM did comeback to Helsinki, everybody escaped there. I don't get why Hercules is doing this to themselves, when they recently expanded.

Had a good time! There is international music, though not famous enough for everyone to enjoy it. In general, it is a good one to hangout!

Very nice atmosphere. We waited for a while for a table though as they were understaffed. Nicely decorated inside. Before we got a table we had to order our food at the check in stand. We picked our table after we ordered. Sat outside. Food came out and it was plentiful and delicious! Had the risotto and the corn!! I would go back and try something else.

It was my first time coming to Teatteri and it will probably be my last one. We ordered the Whitefish starter and ended up extremely disappointed. The fish had a weird texture and the flavours didn’t balance each other. The beetroot seemed out of place and it wasn’t adding anything to the dish but an odd flavour. For Mains we ordered the Risotto and the Grilled pike perch, both of them were okay but still felt like something was missing, neither of these dishes made me feel like I was investing my money on quality food. For dessert neither of the options on the New Year’s menu sounded good to us so they offered us a vegan brownie which had a weird flavour and texture. The service was good but I would not come back because of the food. I hope it was because it was a busy night and they were only serving from the New Year’s menu and not à la carte.

Came in right after lunch just to relax and have a hot cup of coffee. We were pleasantly surprised that the Latte was good, IMHO, better than Starbucks' and Espresso's. It's an excellent place to catch up with friends and have a decent chit chat because it's not packed to the brim like other coffee places. Especially today when loads of people flocked into town for the Christmas parade. We didn't get the chance to try the food, but we'll certainly come back for it since it's recommended by one of our friends. Area of improvement: staff needs a crash course in customer service - lady at the bar counter had a sour face the whole time we were there. Certainly not a good image for the restaurant.

Great service. Fantastic food. Wine is over priced for what it is. But I noticed this for Italian wine everywhere in Helsinki. I had the Tuna and Wasabi salad dish. Sublime! A mix of plates Inc one vegetarian. No complaints.

Great steaks. Last week I had a business meeting in that restaurant and I was very satisfied regarding service, meat quality and Ambiente. Only the price for beer is quite high. But I think that's everywhere in skandinavia when you come from the beer country Germany ;P

Really nice food and really cool place. There is a bar with a connected restaurant. So you basically have two options here. But I suggest you get some food here as well as they make some really good steak!!! Definitely worth reserving a seat at least during evening times and especially on the weekend. But definitely all worth it. Also a food wine menu and other nice and colorful cocktails!

Henry’s Pub is a great spot right in Helsinki’s city center. It offers fair prices and a wide drink selection — not only beers, but also cocktails and wines. It’s self-service, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. I tried a Finnish specialty: the Finnish Long Drink (lonkero) — originally created for the 1952 Helsinki Olympics as a refreshing gin-and-grapefruit soda cocktail. It was a bit too sweet for my taste, but it was definitely interesting to try. Overall, we had a great time. The place was packed, which certainly speaks to how well it’s regarded.

The service at the bar was excellent, the food tasted great (the burger had a terrific grill crunch) and the wings had a really nice “hot” sauce taste (much different in a very good way from Franks!). The reason for the one star, we just did not feel comfortable with some of the folks coming & going, not eating/drinking, in & out of the establishment, something didn’t jive, hopefully I am wrong, just my take on things.

Really nice place in Helsinki with great food and good beer selection. They do not have any of the beers I generally drink (Guinness and Yuengling), but they have several dark beers, and the one I had was a very good local beer. They also have great food. I ordered 25 hot wings, some jalapeño bites, and some mozzarella sticks. I also ordered an ice cream as I was celebrating my birthday. Everything was very good.

Great pub for a few pints and some bar food. We had the pork schnitzel with waffle fries and the breaded chicken, and both were very tasty with nice dips as accompaniment. Price seemed to be standard for Helsinki...€35 - 40 for both meals and €22 for 2 pints. Great atmosphere, great music, pool table, and arcade game available, too. We came back a second time as we enjoyed it so much!

The place was okay. I went for the wings because I heard good things about it but it was alright. Nothing special. Update 2024 : It’s still nothing special and probably bit worse now. The chicken was cold in the middle, the fries weren’t cooked through and both were soggy. The wing sauce is ok but they reduced the number of sauce options as well. Some of the wings had missing pieces of meat and looked unappetizing. Wouldn’t go back again.

Rude staff and no idea how to make a Negroni . Charged €15 and filled glass full of small half melted ice cubes resulting in effectively an expensive glass of water! No atmosphere and loud rock music render this a dud venue. If you want a good drink , great vibe and friendly, competent staff , suggest look elsewhere !

The friend I was staying with said I have to try Sahti, and this is one of the few places in Helsinki that serves it. Sahti is an old style beer, very few hops, with a malty sweetness, like a barley wine, 7.5% abv. Sahti is not for everyone, but I rather like it. And so did most in our party, but not Jane. They also have a wide selection of other beers and ciders on tap as well as wine. The burgers and scampi and pizza do look good although I did not eat there. This pub has a nice traditional atmosphere, medium sized, friendly staff.

I had to try the pizza. It was so delicious. The ingredients tasted so fresh. We added olive oil garlic to the pizza and it was even better

This bar-restaurant offers over 50 varieties of beer, though most are priced above €9 per pint. We tried the wheat beer, which had a good taste. The ambiance is pleasant, making it worth a visit at least once.

Great atmosphere for a casual night out. The place attracts pretty diverse age groups but the majority are in their mid/late-20s. They have a pretty extensive drink choices, we got a bit of each for tasting and I must say it wasn’t too impressive. Could be our bad choices as well, but in general the drinks didnt leave much impression. Still a pretty cool place tho!

Sometimes it’s all about how a place makes you feel. Bier-Bier is truly exceptional in that sense. Not the most extensive beer board, but a good mix of a modern Finnish showcase and old world quality. The interior of dark green walls, oak floors and vintage-looking furniture combined with those insane ceilings quickly put you in a state of tranquility. Close to perfection.

Lovely candle lit atmosphere in a charming and historic old building. Super cosy inside with a wide selection of beers. Bar staff happy to recommend their favourites and suggested a no alcohol option. Great spot to relax for a few hours if you can get a seat 😃

Nice place to go if you want a big variety of canned/bottled craft beer and/or whisky. It has nice seating couch/table area but is not so big. Prices are on the high end but considering is craft beer is kind of expected. Beer on tap is more reasonable and good to try different sizes.

I've seen 2 barmans there, one is a 5 star guy, who clearly enjoys the craft of beer. The other one, takes the review down to 2 stars, anything else I say is too harsh for google.

I was denied entry for "seeming drunk" by a security guard who appeared to be drunk himself. This has never happened to me before elsewhere. Meanwhile, the place was full of all kinds of people. Felt like a made up excuse, based on the security guard's own preferences/mood.

My favourite metal pub in Helsinki. Just 5 minutes by foot from the central railway station. The Kukko Pils beer is cold, fresh and tasty and makes you 9 euros poorer.

Great place to go if you want either a midweek dance or to watch sports. One of few places in the locale that has a party atmosphere in Helsinki on a Monday or Tuesday night. Reasonably priced cocktails, in a city that isn't. The door staff look and act meaner than actually are. Just walk in confidently and you'll be fine.

Came in for a quick drink while on a day trip from Tallin. Bought a couple of local beers which were really cheap at 3.90 each I think but because I paid with a non Finnish credit card (still in Euros) it went up to 8.14 in total. I've never heard of that before. The best features are the paintings on the walls. Passed the time before getting the ferry back.

Just arrived in Helsinki, Was very cold and we had a few hours to kill before our night sleeper train to Rovaniemi, So came here for a few beers, lots of tv's for live sports, decent choice of beers and found staff friendly.

Lively Spot, But With Some Downsides ★★★☆☆ The Old Irish Pub can be a decent place to go out in Helsinki if you're looking for a bustling atmosphere and generally good music. However, if you're not a fan of very crowded places, this probably isn't the option for you. The sheer number of people seems to contribute to some cleanliness issues – the bathrooms weren't the cleanest, and tables were often sticky from spilled beer. A significant downside for me was the lack of food options at night. You can't even get simple bar snacks like fries or nachos to go with your beer, which is a real miss. Also, be aware that there's a 5 EUR charge for the cloakroom, which I didn't think was cool. My biggest disappointment was when I went to watch a Champions League match. They didn't play the match audio; instead, they had their regular bar music on. This really detracted from the experience of watching the game and wasn't what I was hoping for. Overall, it's okay if you just want drinks and music in a very lively (and crowded) environment, but the lack of food, cleanliness concerns, and especially the sports viewing experience could be significantly improved.

I have been there once with my friends it was on the weekends, the pub was hosting live musics with local musicians both English and Finnish song's then with DJ. I've not seen traditional Irish band or music by tge time i was there. It is a place where friends come to gather, enjoy good company and try different drinks imported from Ireland.

Wow. What a place! We went for a pint at 8 pm and discovered that on the first floor, there is a huge dancefloor/DJ/Karaoke/table football/ punching machine! Fast forward to 3.30 in the morning and we had to call it a night. The place was still going! What a night!

Seems to be a nice fun bar. But stay on your guard, a lot of dodgy people are here later in the night. The outside terrace is pretty nice.

I had the pleasure of spending new years here and it was an excellent experience. The cocktails were expertly fashioned, the service was great (big shout-out to the Italian guy with the tattoos) and the locale is cozy and classy.

Mezcal paloma and whiskey mash were amazing. Asian bloody mary was meh. — New owner. Doesn’t have same feel. Fewer home drinks. Also they butchered caipirinha: they only used squeezed lime juice…

Goldfish is a small basement cocktail bar that clearly targets clients who have money to spend. The selection of spirits is exceptional in quality and consequently also in price. We visited on a slow Wednesday night and chose to sit by the bar to have an opportunity to talk to the bartenders. The menu consisted of classic cocktails, each with an artistic variant available. The bartenders clearly knew their drinks. I described Morgenthaler's way of making a lime cordial, and to my surprise the bartender promptly decided to give it a try. The resulting gimlet was so much better than the typical "fresh lime juice" concoctions you mostly get nowadays. For a quiet time, visit early in the week. Overall a very nice cocktail bar, but also very expensive.

This place is relatively new addition to the concert venue scene in the heart of Helsinki. It is nicely constructed with two levels for optimum concert experience. There is two separate bars at the first level, where it's relatively easy to keep yourself hydrated during gigs. The acoustic is not the best, but in general you can hear music just fine, if you're able to squeeze yourself somewhere in the middle of the venue. I've heard uneasy rumours about the owners asking very high price for the merch sales there, so if that is true, I might want to drop the score lower.

A great pit to see any band that would not fly in stadium size. Small enough to feel the energy and large enough to get a drink from time to time. Still not much character but then that's what the bands are for! Smoking area inside 🤘

A good rock music venue. I saw Poets of the Fall. Only criticism of the otherwise excellent sound was they overdrove the main speakers towards the end so the vocals became distorted. I would wish that clarity of sound would be the main objective, not volume! But, good venue, good vibes and a great gig!

This restaurant is one of many beer restaurants in Helsinki, and it has been able to great it's one style. It is a full style German BeerHaus. Decorations fully support the image of that. There are two floors and old style strong and firm tables. And table dancing takes place here regularly on busy nights. Location of the bar is good as city center is just a few hundred meters away.

Live bands of varying quality. Some play too much Finnish music (not so good for the tourists). Dance floor is way too small. But, with a good band the party is definitely on, until the dance floor gets completely packed (usually around 23:00 hrs). You can still dance on the tables though, just be aware of falling Finns... And use the bar at the entrance, the other one can't handle all the clients.

Very big place with lots of different areas. Pretty crowded on the weekends. Always good live music on the stage. Can get lost at first. The line is usually pretty long especially after midnight, but you can get straight in if you pay the doorman.

DO NOT GO HERE!! got denied entry to an event i had bought a presale ticket to because i was 'high off of something other than alcohol'.... tried to calmly talk with the security that it was not the case and that i had only drank a long drink. Ended up crying for an hour since i had been waiting for the event for more than a month.

It was quiet fine. I easily came in with my Austrian ID and jogging pants on a friday night. The vibe still wasn‘t the best inside, not many people were dancing and I was confused why I had to pay 3,50 inside again but the prices were fine and I had no troubles

The smoke room was bad...You can't smoke outside. Some guy spilled my drink right after I ordered it infront of the bar and didn't buy me a new one. The bartender saw it. I asked the bartender for a new one but they just told "NO". I had to buy a new one and wasted 7€ right there. Finnish bartenders would have given one for free. I'm never going back there again, thats for sure.

Alright, so. This club has been my go to for a few years, and if you go between 9-10pm, you get free entry + a bracelet for half off drinks the whole night. 10pm-11pm you have to pay entry, but still get the bracelet. After 11pm you have to pay in and you get no bracelet. I have never had a problem with that. However, there has been a few times where I have worn sweatpants, gotten in, but a time after I was declined from entering even though a girl Infront of me was wearing the same type of sweatpants and got in. The coat checkers can sometimes be rather rude, and try to make you pay extra occasionally to get your jacket out when you leave. They have also made me pay for a bracelet while other female friends have gotten the bracelet free. (None of us put any coats or bags away). I have now heard and seen 5 friends getting drugged in the bar because they have to leave their drinks outside the smoking room. So the only way I can recommend this bar is if you want to drink somewhere cheap, and you never leave drinks unattended. Other than that, go elsewhere if you want to have a better atmosphere.

Super cool place was there first time. Loved the vibes and the views. Joost has a great service as well the rest of the team enjoyed it in general. My favourite was the views specially when the sunset was going on it felt super nice.

Good view with nice drinks but expensive. We stayed at the Clarion Hotel Helsinki and after Check in we decided to check out the hotel bar. It’s situated at the top of the hotel next to the pool and gym and can be accessed from the hotels main elevators in the lobby. The windows of the bar are floor to ceiling and most are well placed over the West Harbour where you can see ships delivering their cargo and the tops of Helsinki Cathedral and Upsenski Cathedral in the far background. The bar area is nice, with most if not all seats facing out towards the windows. It’s not table service so you do need to go to the bar to order drinks so there can be a queue of people waiting and as a result it can make the wait for drinks long despite it being rather quiet around 17:00. All in all I would recommend if you’re staying at the hotel or are near by as it’s a nice spot but the drinks don’t come cheap so be prepared to pay for the view.

Nice views and good drinks. We went there for a pride event that was about to end. After that the atmosphere went fast down so we started to dance, got people with us from the audience and had good time until one of the bartenders asked the DJ to lower the volume and to play less danceable music to calm us down. 😅 I understand this is a hotel bar that needs to please also hotel guests looking for a quiet drink but killing a party is not a good idea-especially if you have decided to organise a pride event. Props to the staff for arranging a wonderful corner table with an added floral touch for my partners birthday, and the bar staff are skilled enough to make drinks off the menu. Prices are on par with other cocktail bars in the city. A happy hour would be welcomed, if I am to suggest any improvements! Very impressed, thank you team.

One of my favorite places in Kallio. Cool crowd and staff. Nowadays larger terrace with a lot of sun. Excellent beer selection. Small snacks available, too. Inside cozy decor. Popular place, you need to be alert to get a table outside a sunny day.

One of my favourite bars in Helsinki - super cosy, really nice and non-pretentious atmosphere. They always have a rotation of local beers on tap, you can have some snacks as well. The service is friendly and in the summertime they also have a terrace outside, perfect for peoplewatching in Kallio.

We (25 people) came with a big group and were the first customers of the night, more people came in because they saw us have fun with karaoke and dancing, yet the staff treated us with complete disrespect because we didn’t drink enough according to them. Our song requests got skipped, and any questions were ignored. One particularly absurd moment was when a bouncer came up to me just because he saw me sip water from my own bottle. He told me I needed to order something from the bar. I politely explained that I didn’t want soda or alcohol — I’m on a diet. He then walked over to the bar staff, apparently to double-check if I’d ordered anything, and came back to confront me again. Even after I calmly explained myself a second time, he went to the rest of my group to say the same thing to them. It was honestly embarrassing and completely unnecessary. What doesn’t make sense is that this “rule” doesn’t seem to apply when someone buys multiple drinks for others — then suddenly it’s fine? If they really want to enforce a minimum spend, they should charge an entrance fee instead of harassing people mid-song over a bottle of water. Beers were overpriced and half full, the vibe was off, and the whole experience felt like a scam. Only a local named Ari was a great experience, he made karaoke fun — but the venue itself? Not worth it.

The security was so rude, they made me pay an extra (4€) for the restroom because my bag was too big in their opinion but I saw different ladies having bigger bags than mine in the bar. There was no air conditioning inside (it was about 25 degrees that night) and everybody was outside in a very small place where it was impossible even to stand. And I didn't had the chance to finish my drink because the bartender stole my glass while it was still full.

We came with a group of four, it was our first time at a karaoke bar. At first everything was fine, and not a lot of people where there, later when more people came they started to skip our songs which were in the waiting line since 30+ minutes (they told us that it was not possible that our group was back to back singing, which is fine) but skipping our songs for 30 minutes is not oke. In the end we gave up and left.

It’s clear they tried to squeeze every euro out of us. The atmosphere was unfriendly, the service was intrusive, and the overall experience was frustrating and disappointing. The only saving grace of the night was Ari, a local who showed everyone what karaoke is really about. But aside from that, I would strongly advise anyone to steer clear of this place. Total rip-off and a massive letdown.

Worst place ever. Anti-fun, anti-customer, anti-tourist We were a group of 25 enthusiastic karaoke lovers just looking for a fun night out. Unfortunately, we chose the worst venue imaginable. From the moment we tried to book, we were met with rudeness and attitude. Once there, the nightmare truly began. Our song requests? Ignored. Instead, we were treated to cringeworthy performances by staff members, singing vulgar songs seemingly just to mock us. It felt less like karaoke and more like a twisted open mic roast. But the worst part? We were constantly harassed to order drinks. Heaven forbid you hold an empty glass for more than five minutes — suddenly you’re being told to “buy something or leave.” It wasn’t hospitality, it was extortion with background music. I would compare this place to a pile of dog cr@p, but honestly, that would be unfair to the dog.

it's a nice place, however our songs were apparently delayed and when we went to ask they told it was 3h waiting time, unbelievable! we could notice there were some people that were having priority on their songs

This is a karaoke bar but when you order songs the order is changed my the bar crew. So you never know when you will sing. In the application Singa you can see the number of people before you and notice how they increase when changes are made by bar crew. They also admit doing that. Do not recommend to anymore who wants to sing going to this place since this is unfair

Great place for individuals and small groups looking for a place to meet in the afternoon, start the night, or end their evening ... at 0200. Alise was an excellent bartender and hostess. The shots I ordered ranged from €7.50 to €10. Over a long evening, I might spend €35-€50.

HORRIFYING EXPERIENCE My boyfriend and I stumbled upon this bar by chance. Unfortunately, the experience left us deeply unsettled. First, the bar operates without table service, which is fair enough, it’s their policy. It’s not my personal preference, but that’s fine. Drinks? Average. Nothing particularly memorable, but nothing outright terrible either (I had a white russian and my boyfriend had a beer). It’s a place that survives on gimmicks rather than quality. The much-hyped “drink roulette wheel” might seem quirky on social media, but it hardly justifies a visit. You’d be better off letting a randomizer on Google choose your next drink. However, what made this visit unforgettable, not in a good way, was the profoundly uncomfortable atmosphere. At one point, a visibly drunk man in his sixties, scruffy with a beard, walked in laughing and loudly ordered a “Naughty School Girl”. The sheer vulgarity of that moment made my skin crawl. To add to the unease, the walls are plastered with appalling decorations that only amplified the sense of a place that celebrates outdated, crude humor. I voiced my concerns to the staff, but the environment made it abundantly clear that this establishment caters to a certain crowd—a crowd I find deeply troubling. The entire experience left me feeling disgusted and unsafe. After all this me and my boyfriend left immediately, appalled and speechless. !!! To any women considering visiting: don’t. Spare yourself. If anyone finds this kind of atmosphere “fun,” that alone speaks volumes. For us, it was a horrifying experience that I wouldn’t wish upon anyone. What a fun place! We stumbled upon it by chance, just as we were looking for a bar to take a few shots of vodka before party. What a nice surprise it was. We spent 4 nights in Helsinki, at a dance event. For 3 of those dance nights, we prepped at the bar!

Terrible experience there. The staff lost the jacket of my friend. Hardly apologized. Didn't reply to our mails and basically couldn't care less. Don't know what customer service is. Wouldn't recommend.

I have never experienced such awful service by the bouncers. They are rude, nasty, mean, awful. I hope they fire all of them. NEVER COMING BACK! DONT COME HERE!

Do not go to this club. They might skam you. We went there as a hole group and our one friend didn't pass. Said he was "too drunk". But the wasn't drunk at all. But we already paid for pass! What a skam!

Wow beautiful club. But not for those who don’t wanna spend. I enjoyed a lot. Foreign passports are allowed as identification and proof of age. Stuffs were cool and speaks Eng/Fin. I will visit again.

You may have heard about those secret clubs where top artists perform for small audience. Usually you find out this too late. Well THIS IS THE PLACE in Helsinki. Be cool and come around 10pm, 11pm latest. Show will be over around 1am, so be late and you missed it. Staff is really nice and cool so keep your act nice and cool to them too. Drink and Enjoy, but keep it sophisticated and you are welcome again. There is a indoor Smoking room, clean toilets and good selection of drinks.

My goto place for lunch in Lauttasaari. 10€ buffet with wide range of different dishes to choose every day. Very good! Old Olympic (1952 Helsinki) decorations and photos on the walls. Highly recommend!!

Ok neighborhood bar. Has a ton of space, and often has a few customers. Don't expect large carft beer selection or fancy furniture. Also offers a lunch menu at lunch time.

Great vibe with a quirky fun interior. Good wine. Didn't feel the staff was super warm, which can be a bit intimidating when you're coming in on your own, but it's well possible that they were just a bit quiet or reserved by nature.

What an amazing bar! Absolutely loved the ambience. Decorated in Mexican style with many Frida Kahlo portraits. The music is fun. The margarita was excellent.

Nice bar located in Helsinki. It was a Monday and one of the only places that was open. Drinks menu for cocktails is tailored to the place and we tried a fair few - all of them being delicious! Prices what you’d expect in Helsinki. It was a bit cold inside, had to wear my jacket on a short sleeved top after a summers day out in town.

Amazing night at Post Bar! I came by when some incredible Japanese and Korean DJs were playing — the vibe was just perfect. Loved the atmosphere, the space, and especially the bartender — super friendly. The crowd was great, the smoking area had its own charm, and overall I had such a good time. Thanks a lot, I’ll definitely be coming back!

Terrible service! Very passive agressive and they wanted me to pay 4€ for the cloakroom even though I was in the terrace in my jacket but they let my friends in for free. Make it make sense!

the drinks were pricey, but the staff was really nice. Especially the security staff are good people and very understing. Music and vibe was nice however the restrooms were like expected - not super nice. Still a good place to go

My go-to club in Helsinki never disappoints. The staff are the friendliest around, always making each visit better than the last. The soundsystem is also unbeatable. It's the perfect spot for anyone serious about their techno. Solid 5 stars. :)

When looking for Techno scene in Helsinki this is a spot to watch, on Fridays and Saturdays they have a good chance of a neat DJ set, Thursday is more a drinks and chill day with happy hour. I went Thursday and Friday and very much liked the energy of both.

Coolest bar in Helsinki with the best music booking team!

Karaoke bar where they dont ever play songs you request and then when you ask them they lie to you as say you've missed your songs when you've watched the screens and the queue for 3 hours straight. Gaslighting at its finest, never believe a word the DJ says. Edit: Notice how in their response they dont address the lying about when your songs are. I get the queue is long and I arrived in the time period their response suggested to be able to sing to no avail. You say on one hand "there's too many people so you probably wont get to sing" and on the other you say "you missed your songs it's your own fault". Which is it? This is why I say you're gaslighting and lying because you cant keep your story straight.

Queued outside for over 50 minutes to be told at the entrance that the karaoke bar was a sold out ticketed event. This was not true - we watched others enter without tickets and there is nothing online about tickets being required. Very disappointing. Also, it is insulting to be lied to in this way.

Owner was quite rude to my friends, skipping their songs despite it being rightfully their turns. I understand not wanting people to sing multiple songs in a row, but if the queue is hours long and people leave in between, there's no way to know if your songs will accidentally end up right after each other because of the skipped songs of people who've left – it's not our fault and we shouldn't be punished for waiting patiently instead of leaving. Also, drinks are quite pricey, go elsewhere!

Recommend for a typical Finnish karaoke bar (almost all songs + some evergreens in English). 4.5€ entry + 3€ optional for leaving your jackets. Mainly teengers come and some low 20-ies. Beer price is 7-10€ but there is happy hour till midnight.

We waited two hours for our songs to come and the owner deliberately skipped them or cut them in the middle. The songs weren't even queued in a row, the people in the middle just weren't showing up so it seemed like we were on the stage continuously even though that wasn't purposeful. He showed bad customer service and unfortuntate hospitality in general. The best thing about this place are the bouncers.

The atmosphere was amazing! But the cocktails where horrible and we've used the QR codes available in the club for the song requests. After waiting for 1 hour and 15 minutes, still non of our songs came through. Then we asked for help at the bar but they were not very helpfull. We then wrote our songs requests down on paper and gave them to the person behind the karaoke box. After waiting again for more then 45 minutes, we left. A shame asking €4,50 entrance and not helping quests.

We call it a ”ruotsinlaivasimulaattori” as it feels like you are on a cruise to Stockholm. The decor has been the same since the beginning of time, lots of led light and tacky details. Fun with good friends, but not a place I like to visit. Drinks are affordable, but stick with the basics and dont try the drinks - they just arent good. Avg. age is around 20.
