Fine dining restaurant
Restaurant
De Kas is a charming restaurant located in a former municipal greenhouse, offering a modern and light-filled dining experience surrounded by glass. The menu features Mediterranean-influenced cuisine with an emphasis on freshly grown vegetables from the restaurant's own greenhouses and garden. While not strictly vegetarian, the daily changing prix-fixe dinner menu typically includes five or six dishes, with options for accommodating vegetarians. The wine selection is impressive, and pairings are expertly done.
An exceptional fine dining journey at De Kas Dining at De Kas is far more than a meal—it is a beautifully curated experience that celebrates seasonality, craftsmanship, and a true sense of place. Set within a striking glasshouse, the ambiance is both refined and serene, perfectly framing the culinary artistry that unfolds course by course. The six-course tasting menu was nothing short of extraordinary—elegant compositions that highlighted the purity of the ingredients while surprising the palate with creativity and finesse. After the fifth course, guests are given the delightful choice of one or two desserts, a gesture that perfectly encapsulates the restaurant’s thoughtful approach to indulgence. What makes De Kas truly remarkable is its philosophy: the menu evolves every three to four weeks, shaped almost entirely by produce grown in their own gardens and on their farm north of Amsterdam. For the few elements not cultivated in-house, such as animal products, they source with meticulous care from trusted local partners. The result is cuisine that feels at once innovative and deeply authentic. Service was exemplary—warm yet discreet, attentive yet never intrusive. Each dish was introduced with genuine passion and precision, offering insight into its inspiration and preparation. The wine pairings were chosen with great expertise, enhancing each plate and creating a flawless harmony between food and glass. De Kas delivers not just dinner, but an unforgettable gastronomic narrative. A destination that deserves to be experienced more than once, it stands as one of Amsterdam’s most compelling fine dining addresses.

Had an amazing dinner at De Kas! The service was excellent, Donal took great care of us and was super attentive the whole night with excellent recommandation. We went for the 5-course menu, and it was totally worth it, every dish was fresh, creative, and full of flavor. The interior is beautiful, dining inside a greenhouse surrounded by plants feels really spécial, feels like you are outside amsterdam. Definitely go for the wine pairing and try the langoustine. Will be back to try the lunch menue !

I have been here several times and it’s so consistent over those years. I loved dinner, popup, lunch. Last time we visited during lunch and i forgot that even if you order a set of 3-4 plates, you will get waaaay more, i’m so full every time. F.i. lunch started with bread, butter, huge cracker with herb sauce, zucchini flower, spring roll (everything is very delicious and not-so-simple) – all of this just compliments! Then it continued with 4 dishes from the menu. Coffee followed by complimentary ~cupcake. And in the end a complimentary lemon sorbet. Amazing lunch.
Anna P — Google review
An unforgettable dining experience and one of the best meals we have ever had! The three-course lunch, with the added option of savory or sweet dessert, showcased imaginative, vegetable-forward dishes that were both beautifully presented, incredibly unique, and full of flavor. We had a lovely orange wine and a fresh cocktail. The attentive service made us feel comfortable and they accommodated dietary restrictions effortlessly. Set in a stunning greenhouse and approached via a scenic park walk, the ambiance was as remarkable as the food. Exceptional quality and value—if I lived nearby, I would return often! If you are visiting Amsterdam, be sure to make a reservation early so you don't miss out on this amazing place!
Sarah G — Google review
The food was creative, seasonal, and absolutely delicious. The service was attentive, warm, and highly professional. The atmosphere felt effortless — relaxing, welcoming, and beautifully understated. A truly recommended experience and worth every euro.
Yair R — Google review
We visited Restaurant De Kas and had the six course menu, which took around four hours from start to finish. The first part of the meal was absolutely fantastic. From the crackers, snacks and bread to the first course, everything was beautifully presented, full of flavour and completely delicious. The cocktails were also gorgeous, and we were really excited for the rest of the evening. Once we ordered a bottle of Saint Emilion, the pace of the service slowed down, with roughly forty five minutes between each of the remaining courses. We mentioned it to a server after the third course, but unfortunately the timing didn’t improve much, even towards the desserts. The food quality itself was flawless, but the long gaps between courses and the slow clearing made us start to wonder if we were somehow eating too quickly, even though we were taking our time. That said, the team were kind enough to remove around thirty euros for our aperitifs as a gesture of goodwill, which we really appreciated. I am still leaving a five star review because the team truly deserve it for the amount of thought, care and creativity that goes into the concept. It really is one of the most authentic and sustainable dining experiences in the city. Just keep in mind that if you book an earlier table, the pace of your evening might slow down once the main seven thirty to nine o’clock sitting begins, as the number of guests can start to outmatch the team’s pace.
Joseph I — Google review
A truly delightful dining experience! The dishes were a perfect combination of flavors, crafted with fresh ingredients that created a unique and memorable meal. Most of the vegetables and fruits are sourced directly from their own local gardens, which really shines through in both taste and quality. While there aren’t Halal options available, the staff is attentive and happy to guide you toward excellent fish and vegetarian choices. Overall, I loved the experience and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for fresh, thoughtful, and beautifully prepared food.
Fahim S — Google review
De Las was INCREDIBLE. I don’t say this lightly but it was one of the most wonderful dining experiences I have ever had. The atmosphere was beautiful and so unique. The service was wonderful and all of the waitstaff was knowledgeable and friendly. And then the food… the food was phenomenal. Each course was delicious, fresh, and unique in flavor. This experience can not be missed when in Amsterdam.

Eclectic restaurant
Café-Restaurant Amsterdam is a refined dining venue located in a restored engine room within an industrial building near Westerpark. The restaurant offers a spacious and bustling atmosphere reminiscent of a Parisian bistro, with old-school grandeur and stripped-back interiors. The menu features a wide range of international dishes, particularly notable for its excellent seafood options and impressive selection of desserts. The ambiance is described as relaxed and unpretentious, making it an ideal spot for enjoying good food without fuss.
Highly recommend because you will feel the energy & passion from all waitress. I learn that most of they are student. They walk fast and also keep smile, you will feel they like to move fast and ensure you are happy here. Big hall they have and also got great outdoor table. Food is good and can’t say excellent but over average Price is fair and highly recommend

One of my favourite restaurants in Amsterdam. The brasserie vibes of this place are unmatched. The menu has loads of options and they’re all delicious. I recommend taking an entree and a main dish, trust me, you will have enough food with the two! Yes, it is pricier than your average restaurant but that’s why I like it, I can come for a special occasion and every time I come I am not disappointed. Great atmosphere as this restaurant is in an old water pumping station so very cool architecture and super spacious and open. The staff are super friendly although sometimes it can take a bit to get noticed bit that’s just because there are many tables.
Carlos B — Google review
The seafood is amazing, tasty, fresh and highly recommended. Drinks were good too, quick service and amazing desserts. We sat outside, so quiet and relaxing - a great spot to relax. The meat options too are highly recommended- fresh and tasty. Easy to reach with public transport as well.
Tim N — Google review
The waiters were very polite and warm. Our orders were served very quickly. The waiter's wine recommendation was spot on. We ordered steak, which was delicious. The high ceiling, reminiscent of a train station, creates a very spacious atmosphere. The clientele was also quite distinguished.
Mert Ü — Google review
The tagline is a "refined venue" but this is more like a local neighborhood restaurant. It's fine, but not worth the drive if you are staying downtown. The steak was tough and of poor quality, and I'm pretty sure my wife (who has a gluten allergy) was glutened here despite a warning to the staff.
Nick L — Google review
Wow- we can’t wait to come back. We attended lunch after Bill’s Bike tour for our 15th wedding anniversary and had fabulous food and service! Thank you for making our anniversary special!
Anastasia V — Google review
Generally a good if mixed experience. The Cesar salad and steak frites were very good and a reasonable price, spoiled by the fact that i was brought béarnaise sauce (which wasn’t very flavourful) instead of peppercorn sauce, and spent 10 minutes trying to notify a waiter before I resigned myself to eating as. Luckily, the steak itself and the sticky toffee pudding to follow were otherwise unimpeachable!
Mathew C — Google review
Café-Restaurant Amsterdam is a unique dining spot housed in a former pump station, blending industrial charm with a lively atmosphere. The spacious interior, high ceilings, and warm lighting create an inviting setting for both casual meals and special occasions. The menu offers a diverse selection, ranging from fresh seafood and hearty meat dishes to vegetarian options, all prepared with a touch of Dutch flair. Service is attentive, though it can get busy during peak hours. Whether you’re after a cozy lunch, a romantic dinner, or drinks with friends, this spot is a must-visit for its ambiance and quality food.

Nestled within the historic NH Collection Amsterdam Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky, Restaurant Vermeer is a culinary gem that promises an unforgettable dining experience. We can absolutely recommend this restaurant! We had a fantastic evening with delicious food, prepared with a lot of love to detail and special creations - and the service couldn’t have been better! Also, the atmosphere was very nice and relaxing and we had a fantastic evening. Thanks a lot to the whole kitchen team who worked with so much effort and love and to the very kind service personal!

Ambient/“moody” lighting and atmosphere (liked). Tasting menu starts from 4 courses all the way up to 7, which we chose. The about of the food increased from subtle tones to richer as the courses arrived, which wasn’t our expectation for the beginning part of the meal. Expect meal to cost €300 prior to wine. Servers were incredibly attentive and conversational.
Daryl P — Google review
We had a great time at Vermeer and the staff was incredible. The whole concept is very unique as you choose how many courses you want to eat and there are very few tables (there were only 7 other people in the restaurant the whole night). We chose 7 courses; all the food was wonderful and I was extremely full by course 6. There was one course that my husband did not like and the staff made a different item just for him. Hicham was wonderful and made the whole experience special.
Aja W — Google review
Excellent fine dining restaurant easily reachable from Amsterdam Centraal. Came here for dinner and took the 6-course menu. The dishes were well-executed. Among the 6, the “squid & bacon” and the “royal” stood out the most for their impeccable flavour. Service was 5/5 - amuse bouche as well as palate cleanser and pre-dessert were included in the course.
Ines S — Google review
Food was exquisite and the service was fantastic. Fine dining but still friendly and welcoming environment. Very nice relaxed ambience. Had all courses with a rosé champagne for the first half and a red wine with the second half. Delicious.

Exquisite food. Flawless service. Had the 5 course tasting menu. Flavours and creativity combined with cooking passion made this one of the best meals I've ever had. if only they wouldn't play tinny dance music....
Oliver B — Google review
We came back here the second time after the pandemic, and it is just as amazing as our first experience. We love this restaurant. It's one of this Michelin star restaurant that not only served innovative and delicious food, but also offered and unforgettable dining experience. The courses were served in a very coordinated fashion. All the dishes hit the table at the same time. Moreover, all the cutleries and dishes we picked up not only at the same time, but also in the same order. Our 6 courses dinner were served up by different members of the staff in that very precise manner. The staffs seems don't exist, when you don't need them, be but they all magically appear at the same time when they sense any need from the customers. They pay close attention to every little thing, making this a wonderful experience that you will not forget.
Michael P — Google review
We had such an amazing experience here for our anniversary dinner. The welcome was super, we had Champagne in the lounge with plenty of nice, vegan, appetizers and orange and herbal infused water. Then on to our table where we were served a 5 course dinner. Each course more delicious than the previous. My favourites were the Jerusalem artichoke, the celeriac and roasted cauliflower, but everything was simply wonderful. The service was good and discrete. We received an anniversary card, so nice. The vegan dinner was cheaper than the non-vegan, which was quite cool too. We'll definitely be back.

The Pantry is a cozy restaurant that offers a quintessentially Dutch dining experience. The interior resembles a traditional Dutch home, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The menu features hearty and comforting dishes such as stamppot and hutspot, which are traditional mashed vegetable dishes served with smoked sausage or meatballs. The portions are generous, and the focus is on traditional Dutch cuisine.
Main oven was down when we visited and they were serving appetizers and small plates of some of the main dishes - which was perfect for us as we could then sample more dishes with smaller portions. Mashed potatoes with sauerkrauts, mashed potatoes with carrots and onions, beef croquettes, beef stew, meatball and smoked sausage. Food was amazing, flavorful and well balanced. So good And to top off, service was excellent! Definitely worth another visit!
Grace C — Google review
Warm & friendly service; a beautifully designed, cozy atmosphere, and most of all, delicious Dutch dishes. The vegetarian bitterballen was excellent - crispy on the outside without being oily, with great texture & flavour on the inside. Also really enjoyed the combination mashed potatoes to try the different flavours (kale, carrot, & cauliflower) that were each unique. Bonus that everything was extremely reasonably priced. Very highly recommend for the loveliest experience of traditional Dutch cuisine & hospitality!
Kat — Google review
Cozy little restaurant that's been serving the highest quality classic Dutch food for 25 years. We went on our first night in Amsterdam and it was the perfect place to start our trip. Service was so warm and friendly. They have a number of quick 3 course options if you haven't done a lot of research on the local food. We went with the ala carte option and had the best pea soup I've EVER had, their bitterballen which were fantastic and we split the XXL combination of hutspot which was more than enough food. Everything was wonderful. Definitely try their house beer "The Pantry", it's delicious! Make sure you make a reservation at least 30 days out if not more. It's a small restaurant and timeslots fill up fast. Thanks so much!
Benjamin H — Google review
Great place to try dutch food: the staff are very friendly, it’s well located, and the decor is very characteristic. Although I didn’t love the food (it’s not my personal taste), it was great to try!! My favorite dish was the pea soup. It’s small and there are a lot of people, we waited a bit, but nothing serious 😁
Margarida L — Google review
Great place to get a quick intro to dutch cuisine. Here you can try the bitter ballen and then the combination sausage meatball traditional dishes. Excellent service and they take credit cards. Highly recommend.
Family M — Google review
The Pantry is a great choice for trying Dutch food! The atmosphere is super cozy and quaint. Get the fish menu! The shrimp croquettes were the standout -- a soft shrimp and potato filling in a crunchy breading. The sea bass dish was good (albeit I found some bones) and the veggies were great. I was pretty underwhelmed by the mashed potatoes, they lacked flavor. The dessert, caramel ice cream with stoopwaffel, was the right thing to end the meal.
Jessica — Google review
We loved the Dutch food, the atmosphere and the service. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. They have set menus, very good value. They offer vegetarian version for some of the menus. It is advisable to book in advance as it is really busy.
JR S — Google review
First time trying Dutch food. The places smelled amazing from half a block away. Couldn't wait to have those mashed potatoes in my mouth. Honestly the taste is mid at best, the sausage starter was the only thing I liked, my pea soup came with a big piece of plastic and when I told the server he told me "it happens sometimes" they didn't charge me for the soup, which was the least they could do. But if you want to eat bad and have a plastic soup then come here!!

Restaurant
Arca Amsterdam is a hidden gem located in the artotel, offering an exquisite dining experience. The menu, curated by Portuguese culinary expert Henrique Sa Pessoa and chef Ricardo Pereira, features astonishing combinations such as scallops with pumpkin soup infused with lemongrass and chili. The restaurant's unique twist lies in its incorporation of Asian influences into traditional Portuguese dishes. Guests praise the unparalleled tasting menu and friendly staff, emphasizing the delightful fusion of flavors and exceptional service.
This restaurant serves great food and has even better service. The menu offers a nice selection of dishes, and the wine menu is just as equally impressive. The octopus is hands down the best I’ve ever had, and the shiitake mushrooms are delicious too. The beef cheeks have a nice bite to them and are very tender. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be back for more in the near future. Highly recommended!
MSJ — Google review
The menu is creative, marrying the bold flavors of Portuguese cuisine with the delicate precision of Asian influences, and the execution is flawless. The standout dishes for me were the octopus and the sea bass. The octopus was perfectly tender, with just the right amount of smokiness and a subtle touch of spice that paired beautifully with a light, aromatic sauce. It was one of those bites that makes you pause and really savor the moment. The sea bass was equally impressive—delicately cooked with a crisp skin, complemented by bright, fragrant seasonings that gave it an elegant yet deeply satisfying flavor. Beyond the food, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, with a refined but comfortable feel, and the staff were attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about the cuisine. If I had to point out one drawback, it would be the portion sizes—the dishes leaned a little on the smaller side, especially given how delicious they were. A few more bites of that amazing octopus or sea bass would have made the experience perfect. Still, this is a must-visit restaurant. The flavors, presentation, and service far outweigh the minor issue with portions, and I’ll definitely be returning.

Absolutely incredible dining experience in a beautiful setting. The two waiters took care of me with my gluten free/celiac accommodations. While there was one mistake (potatoes that were not actually gf), they made it right and luckily I noticed before taking a bite. Every bite was amazing. Highly recommend!!
Jessica F — Google review
Definitely Michelin Guide quality. Such layered flavours and textures, we were not expecting the high level of detail! Was such a lovely experience. The bread was delicious with a very strong olive oil and the smoke flavour of the butter was surprising but so Smokey, I really enjoyed it. We ordered the sea bass main with a side of potatoes to share and the beef picu-pau starter as a main. The sea bass was crispy skinned, the cauliflower puree was so unctuous and velvety with the lemon puree flavour pops and crispy greens; this dish was light was incredible. The picu-pau with the pickled vegetables was packed with flavour, the vinegar punch and rich sauce 👌🏾👌🏾 We loved every bite, literally. The cauliflower and peanut tart dessert was so creative and a unique experience when you eat all element together. Separately the elements are too overpowering PLEASE NOTE THAT. “eat everything together in each mouthful.” Will recommend to anyone who will listen!! Our server Juan was engaged, informative and very friendly. Portuguese himself, was learned a lot about the food history and the chefs themselves as well as each meal and how to best eat them. Fantastic service.

Lovely experience with interesting flavors, textures, and neatly organized plates. We went for the 5-course menu, but would recommend a la carte in hindsight.

Café Binnenvisser is a trendy spot in Amsterdam-West that offers a unique experience. The bar serves natural wines and other beverages, excluding tea but including filter coffee, espresso, and vodka. The ambiance is set by the 90s hip hop, funk, soul, and disco music played by the all-blonde staff dressed mostly in black. The menu features seasonal dishes like yellow beets with pistachio and smoked trout as well as raw halibut and bone marrow.
We had an absolutely lovely meal. The menu was delicious. All the dishes were interesting while maintaining good balance both in textures and flavours. Portion sizes were good and fair for the price. The bottled wine list is impressive and there is a strong by the glass selection. Service was great and the atmosphere was lovely. Would recommend to anyone.

Lovely spot with outdoor seating, perfect for summer. Had a lovely atmospheric dinner with delicious food and good wine. Service was attentive and helpful. Highly recommend the gazpacho on a hot day.

The restaurant vibe is amazing, people are nice. We tried the 5 courses chef menu, the starters are ok, cold soup was nice, other sharing dishes with mixed of greens and cheese. but started the from the main course ( my family pick the chicken and I ordered the Vegan foam dish) taste strangely between sweet/ savory, too much flavors in one dish. its very confusing and feel like the chef is trying too hard to put all the ingredients in one dish. Its like question in our head: what is going on here!!! The desserts chocolate ice-cream is weirdly with too much of salt and oil…. It has totally ruined the taste. This tasting menu is rate and cost too high for the quality of food.

This is a lovely wine bar in Amsterdam and should definitely be on any foodies list to try great wine with some tasty small plates. The wine was delicious - I would recommend any of the Orange, especially the mulatscak. The food was good but not outstanding. We had the bread from Louf (the related bakery next door), the sam marzano tomato’s and burrata, the leak vinaigrette and the mustard chicken. The tomato/ burrata dish was very impressive with a complex smokey flavour that paired extremely well with the bread. The leek and chicken dish was good but were nothing special. I saw some reviews about the long waits in between dishes. This is true however in my opinion is not a shortcoming as it allows you to fully appreciate the dishes with your wine which is the central focus of the venue. The ambience is relaxed but sophisticated and the service was friendly and helpful. Overall I had a great experience here and would return.

We discovered Café Binnenvisser through Otto Berlin and ended up having a really lovely evening. The concept is super nice a warm, welcoming atmosphere where hours just seem to pass by without noticing. For starters we had olives, oysters with jalapeño and cucumber, bread with butter, Hokkaido pumpkin with sheep cheese, sage mixed mushrooms with egg yolk and Szechuan, and a steak tartare with ceps and ramson capers. Every dish was carefully presented, and the flavors felt both balanced and exciting. For mains, we went with the kohlrabi with chili de ancho, anise mushroom and the chicken moutarde with La Ratte potatoes and chives. our desserts included chocolate mousse with condensed milk and hazelnuts, as well as kombu ice cream with elderflower and blackberries. These, however, didn’t quite convince us as much as the other courses. The wine selection was fantastic – thoughtful pairings and a great variety – and the beers were just as enjoyable. Food presentation added another layer to the experience, which made it feel special. The only downside was that the service took longer at times, and the desserts could be improved. Still, overall we would definitely come back and highly recommend it. reserving a table is recommended and the prices are very fair! thanks for the nice evening
Leonard G — Google review
Came here on a beautiful summer day, and we were seated outside on their gorgeous terrace (recommend you reserve). We got the burrata starter, which was quite decent. We also had the leak vinaigrette - peas dish, which was more like 2 dishes in 1 that did not have much chemistry with each other. Our entrée, the chicken moutarde, was fine — good but nothing special. We had a scoop of ice cream (forgot the flavor) with granola under as dessert. Overall, the food was okay, but I wouldn't urge anyone to come here to try the food. What truly undermined our experience here, however, were the wait times and service. First, the wait time — we waited an hour between the burrata and the peas, and the ANOTHER HOUR between that the entrée. We had to alert the waiters multiple times. Their explanation was that dishes not belonging to the chef's menu would take longer because the kitchen prioritizes the orders belonging to the chef's menu. Which is... honestly just a terrible excuse? Having such long periods in between dishes really undermines the dining experience. Because their outdoor seating is quite far from the indoor restaurant space, you can't catch the attention of a waiter. You can only catch them if they've already made their way to the outdoor area to serve someone, and then they forget to check on you, but you also don't want to say something to grab their attention because that's rude etc etc. It's just a bad vibe, especially if you've been waiting 2 hours for your food.

Cafe Binnenvisser undersells this place. It’s a proper five course set menu hipperati Amsterdam restaurant. Its understated interior makes it a beloved place to sit and be seen amongst the upper crust of vanMoof Amsterdam. And the hype is real. The dishes were each excellent and well balanced. The atmosphere instead felt spacious and special. The duck and the dessert were real high lights as was the leak soup (yes really) One thing that was missing was a good sommelier or wine pairing with the dinner. They only do natural wines, and the ones we tried were not great. The music was also too loud for our liking but that’s apparently their “house style” and we all know the Dutch like to “house” so we just accepted that as par for the course. Could imagine coming back here in a different season to see what they did with the menu, but will be sticking to the beer and perhaps brining some earplugs The cocktails were excellent and it was fun to be in a building that resembled the flat iron in New York, except only three stories. Ask for the seat by the window and make sure to make a reservation ahead of time—binnenvisser wont disappoint
Cor C — Google review
Foodwise, we were pretty disappointed. We had the 5 course menu. The soup (1st dish) was cold (tasty though), the main dish (redfish) was not tasty at all. Love the atmosphere, service was good, but wouldn’t come back here just because of the food.

Chez Nina Green Brasserie in Amsterdam-West is a must-visit spot, offering delightful dining experiences and an extensive lunch tasting menu. The brasserie has received high praise from sources like Parool, being recognized as one of the top restaurants in Amsterdam for 2022. The food is described as fantastic, full of flavor, nuances, and textures. Diners can enjoy shared dishes from the 7-dish tasting menu or order a la carte.
Delicious food, we tried a tasting menu and loved every single dish, including those with ingredients that I don’t normally like. Staff is super friendly and the place is cozy. Would definitely recommend to try unusual and yet delicious vegetarian food. You can definitely taste that every dish is uniquely studied and there is a lot of research behind each ingredient combination.

My wife and a great friend of ours dined here and it was SO GOOD! The space is modern, attractive and very comfortable, every single person working there that night (25 July) were so incredibly nice and attentive, and the food was phenomenal. We had the six course "summer feast" menu, which consists of a starter of some of the best bread and evoo ever; zucchini 3 ways; a pizzetta w/ fior de latte, zucchini, feta & pistachios (our friend candida's fave dish); mushroom ceviche; summer greens (cucumber, spring onion, snap peas w/ crisp chick peas in a tahini sauce, my fave) and peanut bucatini. Everything was delicious, timed right, & presented beautifully. Also, it paired perfectly with a great bottle of Gruner Veltliner. We will definitely come back here on our next visit, as it was the best vegetarian meal we have had. Go!
John H — Google review
Very nice vegetarian restaurant that requires minimal adaptations to be fully vegan. We took the 7 dish menu set + dessert, vegan, and overall it tasted good, was varied enough and we we’re full by the end of it. For our menu the strong dishes were the polenta, winter greens, pasta, soup and of course the bread to soak the sauces. The pizza was the most disappointing out of them, as the pumpkin was overpowering with sweetness and the olives did not give a salty enough balance. Second most disappointing were the potatoes, the sauces there were great but the potatoes were stale, very much so. The deconstructed lemon tart was better suited as staying in its original form, and a bit more lemony, with less crumbles. The place is not cheap but in return you get a great experience, a very nice and cosy place with good service and included water / sparkling as part of the set menu. We’ll definitely come back for the next menu!

Yummy meal at Chez Nina. I really enjoyed the vegetarian meal we had, especially the flatbreads!

Amazing food with friendly staff, we were pleasantly surprised by all of their dishes from a tasting menu! Natural wines we picked were absolutely a blast as well. The dessert was a little underwhelming compare to the rest of the amazing dishes. We love the look of the place as well. but the acoustics of the restaurant could have been better, it was too loud to have a conversation or understand the staff explaining the menu. The guests behind us were extremely loud, and something could have done there as well considering the acoustics of the restaurant.

We had an incredible experience here. The food was outstanding as well as the service. The wine package perfectly matched the dishes and our dessert was the perfect end to an amazing dining experience. 2 persons 6 course menu with classic wine package

Very delicious, we had the second tasting menu and it was delicious. The only thing I wasn’t a big big fan of the pizza but all other dishes were very delicious. As a “dessert” we decided for the Paloma cocktail and it was very good. Service is also very friendly.

I had a delightful experience at this restaurant. The staff was incredibly friendly, and I appreciated their warm welcome. The menu featured a variety of creative and delicious vegetarian options that truly impressed me. During the summer, their outdoor seating area provides a fantastic atmosphere for enjoying your meal. Prices are quite reasonable, and the shareable smaller dishes are perfect for trying a bit of everything. It's worth noting that, while the service was friendly, it was a bit slow during my visit. However, the majority of the clientele seemed to be locals, which is always a good sign. Overall, a great spot for vegetarians and those looking for a welcoming atmosphere.

Booked online, place is comfortable and clean. Staff were great. We were not rushed and the food quality was on point. My steak was cooked to perfection and our drinks were so well. Very comfortable but cool vibe eating here. Menu has a lot of delicious items for different palates. Prices are reasonable. Cocktails need work though. Overall, I enjoyed my experience at Black and Blue Amsterdam. The food was ok and the atmosphere welcoming. Prices are on the higher side, but they’re still in line with what you’d expect in Amsterdam for this type of dining. One small surprise was that we had to pay extra for bread, which I think could have been included. That said, the quality makes up for it. Definitely recommend making a reservation, as the place fills up quickly.

Ciel Bleu is a luxurious restaurant located on the 23rd floor of Hotel Okura in Amsterdam. Boasting two Michelin stars, this venue offers creative European cuisine with a French influence. Executive Chef Onno Kokmeijer and Chef de Cuisine Arjan Speelman curate exquisite seasonal dishes that are as visually stunning as they are delicious. The restaurant's panoramic views of Amsterdam make it a popular choice for special occasions.
We had a wonderful dinner for my girlfriend’s birthday, and everything was absolutely superb. The staff was fantastic, the food was delicious, and the wine pairings were perfect. We especially want to highlight the skill and professionalism of the maître d’, who was always present on the floor, personally attending to each table. Compliments to the entire team for an amazing experience!!

We had a wonderful dinner! We were here on a special occasion a collab with De Threeswijkhoeve and Ciel Blue also in combination with Brut champagne! From the moment you arrive it is a warm welcome and a great service. The Madam of Brut Champagne gave us a warm welcome with some nice story about the start of Brut. This was amazing to know that the family started as a butcher family. After a nice glass of champagne in the lounge we went to our table. The interior is classic and robust. The chairs are very comfortable. Every dish looked amazing and the taste of it was wonderful. Something we never had experience this good. We had a pairing Champagne arrangement and it was so nice to be able to have a taste of all these delicious amazing Champagnes of Brut. The service was next level good. Everyone made you feel at home and have a chat with you. They were easygoing but really professional. A cherry on the pie was a walk through the kitchen. Were we met the chefs. The evening was full of surprises and laughter. You can easy park at the Okura hotel. And the guidance to the restaurant is very welcome. This is really an experience that you should try! Thanks to everyone to make this wonderful evening extra special!

Ciel Bleu was on top of our list of michelin restaurants to try. The reception was extremely welcoming, the staff inmediately made a favourable impression with the way they welcomed us as guests. We were seated at a window table. Due to the special occasion of our visit I had specifically requested this seating and I was thrilled Ciel Bleu had accomodated my request. I chose the prestige 8 course menu, and my wife chose the 8 course vegetarian menu. As a starter I also chose the beluga caviar, which was incredibly tasty, it really is the best caviar there is quality wise. It was served in a beautiful way and the presentation of the caviar was interesting and educational. The food was good, but we didnt think it was exceptional. There were some memorable dishes such as the bluefin with caviar and the lobster with a truly delicious passion berry sauce. Other dishes did not make such a big impression. For instance the wagyu a5 dish was served with a very strong aleppo pepper sauce that dominated the whole dish and veiled the other tastes. What also was a bit of a disappointment was the fact that my wifes "vegetarian menu" dishes sometimes consisted of the same ingredients of my meat and fish dishes but than simply without the meat and fish...I feel this was a missed chance and it came across as a bit lazy. Ciel Bleu please consider making a vegetarian tasting menu that consists of original and special dishes , for a restaurant of this caliber I really expect creativity. What we absolutely loved of Ciel Bleu was the truly incredible service. The staff was on top of their game. Friendly and professional. Not overbearing but warm and knowledgeable. We were treated like royalty and the remarkable service paired with the incredible view made for a memorable evening, a perfect high class night out with spectacular views.

Service was the best I've ever had, and the atmosphere is wonderful with a breathtaking view of Amsterdam. As for the food, I felt the first half of the menu was top-tier for 2-star restaurants, but the second half of the menu fell off a bit below average for the category. (we didn't get the wagyu upgrade) Wine pairing was superb all along the way, especially the reds in the 2nd half of the meal (which compensated very well for the weaker dishes!). The deserts were sadly the weakest part of the evening, and even the paired wine was a disappointment as it did not hold up to sweetness of the Nougat dish. Overall, based on my experience, I'd say Ciel Bleu sits comfortably in the middle of the 2-star range in terms of the food itself. In terms of the overall experience I'd place it near the top.
Nathaniel Y — Google review
Came with for a business dinner. Service was excellent. Food was A-OK (nice presentation; definitely not michelin star good). But I got food poison from eating here. I needed to visit the toilet multiple team by 3/4 of the meal. Will I recommend this restaurant? Definitely no. #1 food poisoning was not fun at all, #2 food just wasn't tasty Only come here if you prefer the presentation over the food itself, so you want to impress someone.

2 Michelin-Star ⭐️ ⭐️ Fine Dining In The Sky at Ciel Bleu, nestled within luxurious Hotel Okura Amsterdam 🇳🇱 From exquisite lobster and Wagyu A5 to the perfect wine pairings, every moment was exceptional. And the sunset view from the highest floor, with a glass of Krug Champagne 170ème Édition, was simply spectacular. A truly unforgettable culinary journey! ❤️
Stefano M — Google review
Consistently delivering the epitome of all aspects of fine dining from food, presentation, service, and wine to attention to detail. The prestige and caviar experience menus provide the best opportunity to try all of the chefs signature dishes, all of which are executed to perfection. One of the best parts of the menu design is that you get such a variety of flavors and textures in each plate. Standouts were the red mullet, the Toro, the "mer fruits", the lobster and the wagyu. If you go with the caviar experience each of the already opulent dishes is taken to another level with a pairing of caviar which complements the dish perfectly. Over the course of the dinner you end up trying at least five types of caviar. The wine list is formidable and the sommelier has the knowledge to help you make the best choices for your palate to complement the flavors. I have had both one of my all time favorite red and white wines on different visits here. The multilingual staff are extremely attentive and make sure you and your gusts have a truly special experience. If you are celebrating something special, this is really the place to do it in Amsterdam as the view provides a amazing sunset view of the city from the 23rd floor of the okura. You get to see the sunset over the whole city all the way to nord.

Had a wonderful dinner here while on a quick trip. Sat in the Rose garden which was quaint and and a bit more casual. Service was very good and all staff polite and friendly. We ordered some sharables; beef tartare and spiced almonds and olives. The beef tartare was good but at moments, more chewy than I'd prefer. For dinner we ordered the Sea Bass, Lamb Chops and Ravioli, all delicious! The Sea Bass was probably our favorite. Came here on a whim after visiting Anne Frank House while on holiday in Amsterdam and was severely disappointed. I have a lot of food allergies and tend to eat at nicer restaurants because they’re better equipped to deal with that. The kitchen did well with my allergies and the service was great — but the food was not. The portions were unbelievably small. My boyfriend was in the bathroom when the food came and he thought I had eaten half my meal while he was gone even though I hadn’t touched it. I would have been okay with the small portion had the food itself been of high caliber, but it wasn’t. My salmon came without the skin, which was disappointing and odd. My favorite part is the crispy skin. The ratatouille lacked spice and flavor — it just tasted like zucchini and tomato paste. My boyfriend had the duck and found it chewy. I will say the salad we had was fresh and tasty, and they made me a special one with just lettuce, avocado, and oil/vinegar since I couldn’t have anything on the menu due to my allergies. But overall this meal was not worth the 111 euros I paid for it.
Dan R — Google review
Booked this for our anniversary and birthday dinner the service and ambiance was 10/10 and really nice. The food was also decent and we overall were very pleased with the meal. We loved that the staff even took the time to leave a card saying happy birthday it was a nice touch. Our only piece of feedback would be in the way they price their menu. We ordered the burger added the truffle and pate thinking the total was €35 a bit of an upgrade from the €28 normal burger listed, as this was the price listed next to it similar to the rest of the prices of the remaining dishes. Come to find out at the end that it was an additional €35 on top of the cost of the burger which just felt a bit misleading when we came to pay for a €63 burger!! Just be careful if you order and we’d suggest listing the price as €63 for future guests so they don’t leave with a shock.

Kaagman & Kortekaas is a renowned restaurant in Amsterdam, known for its nose-to-tail dining experience. Since 2015, chef Giel Kaagman and sommelier Bram Kortekaas have been delighting diners with their ever-changing four-, five-, or six-course chef's menus.
Amazing place to eat. Decided on 4 courses instead of 5. The wine list is extensive. Each course is a pleasant surprise. Had deer, duck, lamb, asparagus, seaweed, and a great bottle of wine.

For the standard of the price for their menu, I would expected higher class of food, ingredients, creativity, quality and restaurant environments and atmosphere. Especially I personally don’t feel like I’m in fine dining restaurants but rather like a cafe restaurant so I even don’t think that’s something I paid for. Additionally, I would say I had better experience with food, service in comparison to the same level of restaurant. Food and ingredients they used here is rather mediocre Overall, it’s not worthy of the price they set.

Excellent all around. From the moment u walk in the experience starts. They are very nice and welcoming. We sat at the bar which was fun cos u see the kitchen action. Food and flavours were very interesting and tasy! Did wine pairing which was also fun. Service is excellent.

Came out disappointed; out of 6 courses, only 2 were impressive. In my opinion they try too hard to overcomplicate dishes. For example they had a foie gras crème brûlée for dessert; it was weird. Also too many dishes were pheasant based which is ok but they could diversify a bit too. Bread and butter was excellent. Wine selection was good. Service was ok; I thought the waiters were a bit cold and could be friendlier. I had to ask more than once for more water/bread. The open kitchen was interesting and nice to watch. The building was a bit run down though if you look at the walls. We also saw a fly inside. There is talks of this restaurant getting a Michelin star but for me it’s a no, not worth a star. PS: the vegetarian dishes were the tastiest

The flavors are well achieved but the experience is not very satisfying at all. It's OK but on the spicy side, and the family style concept is not that generous. The quantities are a bit confusing, some dishes are 1 for each while some are not and the portions are not very big so it's hard to share. For example we got 2 duck legs for 3 people but 7 pieces of eggplant and 2 rice?😅 I think it's a better experience as a couple than as a friend group. The wine list is very interesting and the servers are very nice.

The food is creative and unbelievably flavorful. We had some of the best oysters ever here, better than at some michelin star restaurants. Their take on ceviche was mindblowing. The fried cauliflower is pickled first and you could taste it, so good. All in all, amazing and super comforting flavors. I’ve never had creative dining experiences that made me feel so cozy and comfortable. And tbh, cs is basically fine-dining without the price tag. Its not cheap but you get an insane value for your money. I mean 50€ for 5 courses is just really fair for Amsterdam. thats what makes cs great. It’s unpretentious, and it’s super good. I wish I had tried it a little sooner. Try it out. I will go again for sure.

Love love love cornerstore. One of the few places that does Asian fusion RIGHT and in an interesting, culinary way, instead of just throwing kimchi on something that doesn’t need it and calling it a day. Tasting menu is always changing but the tempura vegetable starter is always so delicate and tasty, and I still think about the barbecued pork dish with langoustine sambal I had here back in the summer. Divine!

A hidden gem where your taste buds get a VIP treatment! Every plate looks like it belongs in an art gallery, and tastes even better. The food is made with heart, the staff are genuinely lovely, and the whole place just makes you want to stay longer. 100% recommend. I’ll definitely be back for more!

Definitely a contender of best restaurant in Amsterdam. The flavours really wows you, super well balanced, and the presentation is beautiful. The service is also super good, very attentive and kind! Can't wait to go back!

Wow - what a beautiful experience this was! The staff were friendly and the food was incredible - very caring and professional, each dish blew us away, new flavours unlocked! Will come again for another special evening ✨🌸

Another lovely evening at Nazka. The team are warm and attentive, and they take great care with coeliac needs for my partner. Cooking remains consistently excellent, with refined presentation that makes each visit feel unique and memorable. This is the place we book first and ahead of every trip to Amsterdam. We enjoyed both ceviches, the best of our visits so far. Both were fresh with vibrant mouth watering flavours. The bavette was again cooked to perfection with a sauce we really enjoyed, and the pesca was fresh and satisfying as a generous main. Cocktails were well made, and the pacing of the meal felt just right. A night at Nazka is not to be missed.

4.5* The food was really good! I loved the peruvian and Indian influences. But if I am being nitpicking, I found the water and the botanical pairing expensive. The botanical pairing was just glorified mango juice ( mazaa) for 9€ and that felt ridiculous. On the other hand, I tried oysters for the first time and it was a really good experience. We had both the kinds of oysters.

Easily one of the overall best restaurant experiences we've had. Attentive and precise service, from a knowledge and friendly service team. Peruvian fusion, interesting combinations and flavors. Be sure to try the ceviche - and pairs well with their list of different pisco cocktails.

It was very nice Peruvian experience.. We did not try Nazka tasting Menu; instead,we created our own tasting menu with almost everything in the menu. All was so delicious. I recommend definitely the oyster as starter and bavette as main course.. Patagonia wine was also perfect..

Kaiseki restaurant
Yamazato is an upscale Japanese restaurant located in the Okura Hotel in Amsterdam's De Pijp neighborhood. It is renowned for being one of the first traditional Japanese restaurants in Europe to receive a Michelin star. The interior of Yamazato resembles a 16th-century Japanese tea house, creating an authentic and immersive dining experience. The restaurant's focus on kaiseki ryori, a traditional Japanese cooking style, ensures that the menu offers truly authentic Japanese cuisine.
From the moment we stepped inside the restaurant, we were captivated by the warm and inviting ambiance, which perfectly complements the culinary journey that awaits. We opted for the Chef’s menu. Each dish was a delightful surprise, showcasing the chef's creativity and passion for authentic Japanese flavours. The service was equally impressive. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely enthusiastic about the food and wine (Sake) menu, enhancing our overall experience. We highly recommend it.
Saska Z — Google review
Dining at Yamazato was an incredible experience. The courses were absolutely delicious, with every dish expertly prepared. We were seated with a beautiful view overlooking the traditional Japanese garden, which created a wonderfully tranquil and serene atmosphere for our dinner. I'm a big fan of sake and have tried many different kinds, so I was really impressed by their large selection. I had a truly delicious sake that surprised me with some really interesting flavors.

Everything here is wonderful. The setting and atmosphere are especially unique and the service is probably the best I've had in any other one-Michelin-star restaurant. All dishes are exceptional and the menu is well-balanced. Accept any sake recommendation you get in the wine pairing, this is the perfect occasion to do so. Well worth the price tag!
Joren — Google review
Excellent top service. The food is fairly okay. But for a traditional kaiseki restaurant, I expected better quality.
Haili L — Google review
I had an unforgettable birthday dinner last Sunday. During my stay at the Okura Hotel three years ago, this restaurant caught my attention, and upon a friend's recommendation, I was excited to finally dine here. Upon arrival, we were immediately greeted with warmth and hospitality. The interior, ambiance, and atmosphere were all excellent, and the female staff, dressed in traditional Japanese clothing, added a wonderful touch to the experience. The food was exquisite: beautifully presented, thoughtfully explained, and tasted incredible. Our favorite dish was the Wagyu steak, which might just be the best Wagyu we've ever had. The service was the best we've experienced at any Michelin restaurant we've visited so far. I would like to extend a special thank you to the main host, Chihomi, and her colleagues, who took such great care of us that evening. Not only was Chihomi incredibly kind, but she was also very attentive to every detail. For example, my partner noticed that Chihomi immediately recognized he was left-handed based on how he placed his chopsticks and glass of sparkling sake (which is a must-order), and later adjusted the plates, chopsticks, and glass accordingly. He mentioned that he had never had staff notice he was left-handed in this way at any other restaurant. We also appreciated how they asked about and took into account the pacing of each dish served, making sure the flow of the meal was perfect. As a sweet surprise, I was given a miso chocolate cake in addition to the dessert for my birthday. And to top it all off, we received a small origami crane for good luck at the end of the meal. Thank you, Chihomi, and the entire team at Yamazato. We’re already planning our next visit! :)

I visited this place last year and wanted to share my review. Located inside the Okura Hotel, Yamazato Restaurant offers traditional dishes from the Japanese Kaiseki cuisine, with a typical Japanese atmosphere and service. They serve 9 or 10 different courses, explaining each one in great detail. We went in the evening, so I couldn’t see the garden’s atmosphere, but the place is truly beautiful, enjoyable, and perfect for fine dining. I highly recommend trying it!

Nestled on a refurbished harbor front in Amsterdam, Restaurant Wolf Atelier is located on an enclosed glass bridge hoisted above the dockland waters. The dining room features an industrial chic design with concrete floors and hanging copper lights, offering a view of the IJ River. Chef Michael Wolf's innovative cuisine has garnered a great reputation among gastronomes, offering fixed chefs menus and à la carte dishes.
It was out last night in Amsterdam and I am SO thrilled we did it here. Everything was so special! From the moment we walked in to the last course. We chose the five courses and it was perfect in every way. Amazing service. Great staff. Beautiful food. I will definitely come back!
Marci B — Google review
Given the cost and marketing, I was really expecting more from the quality of food so I wouldn't come back for it. Starters are well presented, but at times, too many ingredients not always matching or covering one another; the mains were better; the desserts were definitely their best and met my expectations. Be aware: a 15-course dinner lasts 4 hours, so make sure you plan for this if you decide to go. Service was very friendly but seemed a bit overwhelmed, for example, forgetting that I asked not to use an ingredient. The location is very nice.
Andrea — Google review
Our dinner at Wolf Atelier was absolutely exceptional. Every detail was perfect from the opening presentation of the Wolf box to the wine recommendations to the service to the beautifully appointed restaurant but ESPECIALLY the food. On the first bite, my husband literally said, "The flavors are like a chemistry experiment in your mouth!" (he loves chemistry so this is a huge complement!). I had to agree with him. Every bite of every dish in the tasting menu was exceptional and creative, with flavors we would not have expected together that were absolutely divine. Like Wolf, we were celebrating our 10 year anniversary, and the staff added lovely extra touches to make the evening special.

Absolutely exceptional restaurant! We enjoyed the 15 course set menu! Each course is incredible and beautifully presented! Blown away by the waitstaff’s knowledge of the dishes, from the cooking methods to being able to competently explain absolutely every single ingredient on the plate. They seemed genuinely interested in our feedback (there were two new dishes when we visited). Absolutely worth the visit!

I wish I could give you more stars. All the stars really. My husband and I visited you on May 20th for our 20th Wedding Anniversary. The night, the food, the wine and your fantastic staff were all part of what was a perfect night for us. We wanted to treat ourselves to a Michellin star dinner and found you in the guidebook. We've had dinners with that recognition before and enjoyed many varieties of high end high quality tasting menus. We always found though that there was always a course or two that we didn't enjoy.... At your 15 course tasting menu experience we thought for sure we would run in to some courses we didn't like....Instead we had 15 courses of solid perfection. Everything was eaten. Plates were licked clean (as gracefully as possible!!) and we were treated to your exceptional service and wine recommendations. Thank you so much for a wonderful experience.

Restaurant Wolf Atelier isn’t just a meal, it’s a performance, a memory, and an invitation to explore flavor at its most artful. Suspended above the canal in a repurposed railway bridge, the space itself already feels like a secret worth discovering. I came for my birthday and chose the 15-course menu, which truly lives up to its promise: a culinary adventure and the boldest expression of what Wolf does best. From the opening bite of beetroot on brioche to the final note of vanilla French toast, each dish surprised and delighted. The prawn with aji amarillo was bright and punchy, while the North Sea crab danced between delicate and daring with matcha and horseradish. The langoustine bisque, creamy, sweet, perfectly balanced, was a standout. So was the Jerusalem artichoke dish, where blue grape and macadamia brought earthiness and freshness together. The A5 Wagyu, served simply with butter, salt, and pepper, was tender and indulgent without being overdone. Even the palate cleansers, like the gin-tonic basil infusion, were inventive and refreshing. By the time dessert arrived (a trio of dishes featuring strawberry, rhubarb, and the most elegant French toast), I didn’t want the night to end. Wolf Atelier isn’t just worth it for the food, it’s the feeling of being in the hands of a kitchen unafraid to dream big. On a special day, it felt like the perfect gift.

We went for the 10 course 10 year anniversary menu and it was outstanding! Honestly probably the best dinner we’ve ever had.

Wolf Atelier provided the perfect culinary finale for our stay in Amsterdam! The setting is truly unique—the restaurant's striking design, suspended above the water, offers a phenomenal view of the harbor and the city skyline. It’s an immediately memorable location. While it is certainly on the pricier side, the entire experience was absolutely worth the cost. We enjoyed excellent, creative food and good wine pairings, all delivered with truly great service that was attentive and warm. The team ensured our last evening in the city was a great experience we won't forget. Highly recommend this for a special occasion and a justified splurge!

Dwaze Zaken is a lively, Christian-oriented cafe located near Amsterdam Central Station. It offers hearty meals, beers on tap, art exhibits, and live music. The restaurant has a beautiful interior and provides top-notch service with friendly staff. They serve a variety of dishes including Dutch pancakes, eggs, sandwiches, burgers, and Dutch finger food selections. The menu is simple but delicious with options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner all day.
Cute cafe on the canal with a view of the Amsterdam Central station and partial sunset view. Had roast beef sandwich and it’s good, the bread is crispy on the outside, soft inside. Large portion, no sides included. Free WiFi. Great spot for people watching or having a drink outdoors.

Good service and more affordable than similar cafes in the area (you can compare prices on the menu card). They were nice enough to accept my request of adding a fried egg onto my pancake for protein. And it was fun to people watch on the terrace.

Had a delightful meal for dinner here. The service was great, the food was delicious and came out reasonably quickly, and the atmosphere was so nice. They have a beautiful quote mosaic on the wall, and of course an incredible view of the city. Price is very reasonable for the quality of the food and location. Cherry on top was discovering a sunscreen station — so thoughtful!!

Spectrum is a top-notch dining option located in the Waldorf Astoria Amsterdam, offering a blend of global cuisine with locally sourced ingredients. The restaurant boasts a classic and inviting interior with beautiful views of the courtyard garden. Executive chef Sidney Schutte's vibrant menu combines local specialties with international influences, including Asian culinary elements and the finest regional produce from local farmers.
This was truly an unforgettable experience. The food was something different and unlike anything I ever had. The presentation was beautiful and showed a high level of creativity. The service was incredibly thoughtful. The restaurant is very intimate so you feel you have an experience with the whole staff. I appreciated how they checked in and offered us breaks if we were getting to full, which showed there was no stress to rush. I have never had any fine dining restaurant ever ask that. Then, when I asked for a picture, they went a step above and took me to a private garden for a great photo op. This is a must if you visit Amsterdam!

An absolute culinary experience. Every dish was a true work of art, looking like a painting and tasting even better. Food: The food is sublime. It’s delicious, creative and varied. Oversight: The tasting menu offered two desserts (alongside the final dessert wine pairing). After the first bergamot/rhubarb dessert course - we were prompted for coffee/tea. We then received mignardise (petit fours) and my espresso shortly thereafter. It was then, my wife enquired about the second sticky rice dessert dish which she had been looking forward to and which was supposed to follow the bergamot/rhubarb dish. This made the staff uncomfortable and a staff member said they would check. Eventually they returned with the sticky rice dessert and it became evident that it had been forgotten. The staff then asked us to please enjoy. I then referenced the wine pairing menu noting that the last glass - a Riesling - had still not been served. After some time, the sommelier arrived stating that I had requested for a glass of Riesling which I then enjoyed with the now cold espresso. Mistakes happen but the discontinuity and confusion interrupted an otherwise flawless evening. The lack of ownership for the clear mistake also felt like a lack of integrity, especially given the price point.

A protegee of Michelin 3* De Librije in Zwolle and 3* Amber in Hong Kong Chef Sidney Schutte's food at Spectrum is appropriately gorgeous, but what proves most compelling is his ability to brighten up plates with unexpected twist that polarize often diners both experienced and novice. Located on the Waldorf Astoria -1 floor with garden views, Manager Cas Kratz and team warm in a professional manner befitting the address, guests are led from the hotel doors to an elegant room that is well-spaced with subdued lighting and a pop of color from the large floral arrangement at the center. Embracing Dutch heritage with an eye abroad, summer yielding most of the menu from nearby, the 18h00 seating finds Spectrum quiet as diners are presented an extensive Wine list from which Dry Riesling pairs well to opening bites such as a dried Yolk “cup” supporting Potatoes and Roe. Six proper courses flanked by Mignardises and Canapes, plus a bottle of Tulip Syrup to take home, fried Fish proceeds delicate Mochi with Crab topped in Caviar and the first of two Breads plus two styles of Butter. Served at a guest-appropriate pace, no long lulls with staff checking in regularly, Mushrooms take center stage in an otherwise vegetal composition brightened by Cherries followed by Strawberry-glazed Skate with a touch of heat. Not afraid to venture abroad for inspiration, Mullet Fish alongside Chanterelles and Sea Grapes darting across the tongue with tangy Tamarillo, Schutte's Langoustine then builds from tail to head with Chipotles and Chocolate to thrilling effect. Captivated by the Caramelized Goat Butter, enough so that a loaf of Sourdough disappeared quickly, Chef’s time in Hong Kong undoubtedly inspired crispy-skin Duck intended to be eaten bite and sip with an accompanying cup of Consomme. Choosing Truffles and Cabbage over Rhubarb with Dill for Dessert, both seemingly a little forced and the former lacking much of the elegance seen across the rest of Spectrum’s plates, guests are next asked to play a guessing-game with Chocolates inspired by preceding courses before concluding with Sticky Rice and Licorice bites.

By far the best restaurant in Amsterdam! Every dish was full of flavor and absolutely delicious — not a single one felt average. The service was great, and I also appreciated how spacious the place is, with plenty of room between tables for a comfortable dining experience. The mochi with caviar (in the photo) was a spectacular dish — truly unforgettable✨
Aliona B — Google review
We particularly enjoyed the quality of the products - the langoustine - and the same for the scallop - great quality products (and huge!) that are perfectly cooked and accompanied - those were really memorable. Same goes for the herring, the sole, and snails. The finishing chocolates that are based on the actual meals is a very smart and well executed thing. A minus which is the reason for not rating 5/5: to me it looks like the chef is trying to show-off technical mastery : For the bergamot desert - besides the wow-effect of eating snow that tastes like bergamot- I didn't find it brought as much to the taste as to the technical demonstration (the very bitter bbq'd eggplant isn't well balanced). Same goes for the black truffle entry - hidden below a transparent sugar ball - beautiful, technically impressive - but the mix sugar/black truffle/codium just doesn't taste that good - at least that's my opinion. The pigeon also featured this kind of artifact. The duck liver is beautifully hidden inside of it - and it's coated with an almost-invisible pigeon-liver foam. Technically impressive, but the heavy taste of the pigeon liver foam overwhelms the flavours of the duck liver. And the transition from two very low-sugar deserts to an extremely sugary (with additional honey!) Basque cake was too abrupt. Don't get me wrong - dishes are above-standard, and we finished every last bite - but to me the technical demonstration took its toll on the taste of some of the dishes and on the overall tasting journey. The setting is really great - and the service is also great.

Tough one to score, but let me explain. Everything was impeccably orchestrated, the food the wine the service all tip top. We even saw the service staff tested with a medical emergency a few tables over and they were unflappable. Simply excellent all around. I feel bad saying, and I want to be clear this is a “me” problem: I didn’t like the menu. That’s a hell of a first-world problem, I know. To be clear: It was executed perfectly. The wine pairing handily impressed and dethroned our experience at another 2-star place. The snail and oyster soup was one of the most incredible dishes I’ve had anywhere in the world. There were bright spots, but it was overall unbalanced. What I mean is that the whole menu was heavy and rich. By my estimation, far too much of a good thing. Savory richness on savory richness. Even the dessert course was heavy and savory. Hibernation inducing dairy and butter and oil richness on nearly every plate. By the end I was craving a lemon popsicle just to cut through it all. I’ll be happy to revisit, but perhaps I’ll wait for a summer menu to add some levity to the dishes. Five stars.

We really experienced the peak of Dutch service here. We ordered a fried platter with cheese, and it took 45 minutes before I asked why it was taking so long. I had to follow up two more times before it finally arrived. No apology, no small gesture to make up for the delay. I actually love the place, the atmosphere, and their great beer selection, and I’ll come back again. But when it comes to Dutch service standards — which are generally poor — this was truly a staple. A terrible experience

Last Saturday, I found myself at Poco Loco, a vibrant eatery that exudes a funky seventies vibe and boasts a spacious sunny terrace right in the heart of Nieuwmarkt. This spot has become one of my favorites for its quintessential Dutch charm. Whether you're starting your day with coffee and traditional appelgebak or enjoying generous club sandwiches and wraps for lunch, Poco Loco caters to all cravings.
Stumbled upon this restaurant last week, and had a great evening. Pitchers of beer, amazing nachos with very generous toppings, and the burgers were top notch, all served quickly and was fresh and hot. Our server Arash was super friendly and helped us with the menu, as we couldn’t decide what to have, we left with very full bellies and most importantly it didn’t break the bank. Hopefully we will return on our next visit to Amsterdam :-) If you go, look out for Tony the cat 😹😻

The menu was off. I ordered Club sandwich (which said on the menu that it comes with fries) and i received it with chips. Also, the avocado toast came with boiled eggs instead of poached (as it said on the menu). When I wanted to sit on a certain table, the staff memeber said to move to another one since that one was dirty (had dirty plates on it). I do not find that great to say to a customer, since the “cleaning” only took 2 minutes. Food was good, 7/10. Overall, 2 star experience, would not recommend

Had 3 different wait staff, took orders but then food took ages to arrive and not both meals at the same time, as for some reason they thought we had ordered 2 of the same dish, so 3 dishes for 2 people! Food was fresh, hot and tasty. Ordered dessert which took ages again, so had to ask and they had missed it! Toilet clean, but up and down lots of steps, plus the doors open out on each other (men's/women's) and the stairs so be careful when approaching.

Miss Korea BBQ is a casual, industrial-style restaurant located in the De Pijp neighborhood of Amsterdam. It offers tabletop grills for Korean and Japanese BBQ, as well as a wide selection of sushi. The all-you-can-eat barbecue concept allows diners to grill their own meat, fish, and vegetables in Korean style at built-in table barbecue grill plates. The extensive menu includes traditional Korean dishes like kimchi alongside Japanese cuisine to cater to a diverse audience.
Enjoyable experience. Service is good, very helpful and quick. Many food choices. The quality of fried chicken was a bit off, otherwise very good.

Went here multiple times. Decent food, although some of the reviews can be harsh. Variety of dishes but not specialized or unique in any sense, which is totally fine for an AYCE concept. The salmon nigiri was incredibly good! I think there is something here for everyone. Sesame ice cream did not dissapoint👍Kimchi and other banchans are really good too!

We had a great time at Miss Korea Korean Grill! 🥢 You get to barbecue your own meat, chicken and fish right at the table , it’s super delicious 🍖🔥 and the whole experience is really fun and pleasant 😊. Just keep in mind that grilling everything yourself can take a while ⏳, so if you’re not in a rush, you’ll definitely enjoy it! 🍽️

As we're all vegetarian and small eaters we ordered a la carte. Small portions as catered for all you can eat buffet. Everything was delicious and well prepared. Quick service. Loved the app for ordering. Makes everything so efficient.

This place used to be nice before COVID. I recently went back, and the quality has notably gone down while prices have notably gone up. This is one of the few times in my life where I had issues finishing my food due to it being just uneatable. The sushi I tried here was one of the worst I have ever eaten in my life, clearly frozen fish that was bought from a supermarket. The Albert Heijn sushi is a 10/10 compared to here. The beef was nothing great, and the BBQ never got cleaned while we were using it. The only nice dish was the green seaweed salad lol.

Cooking the meat together was a fun experience, although the taste wasn't perfect. The dessert and ice cream were interesting, with the donut ball dessert topped with sweet syrup being my favorite. ❤️😍

212 is a stylish and innovative restaurant that offers international flavors in an open kitchen setting. The chefs have managed to strike the perfect balance between elevated cuisine and relaxed atmosphere, making it the perfect place for Michelin star dining. The new takeaway menu doesn't change anything about their artisanal dishes, so if you're looking for a taste of Michelin star quality without leaving your home, 212 is definitely the right choice.
We came knowing we wanted to have a two-Michelin star experience, and 212 delivered! The restaurant decor and set up was intriguing, allowing us to see each part of the process. The food was innovative, prompted curiosity, and got us chatting. Certainly showcasing the skills and talents of the kitchen. The staff was exceptionally kind and lively! The wine pairing was exceptional. The cheeses allowed us to experience the Netherlands, and overall, it was a great time! From beginning to end, this was truly worth a stop and it was a fantastic dinner!

We had an outstanding experience there. Sophisticated, very interesting, varied and delectable. The seating is perfect — all the tables are facing towards the open kitchen and not the other tables. The presentation was really meticulous. Fantastic non-alcoholic pairing, not the usual sugar cocktails but rather complex and delicious alcohol-free wines. Very attentive and friendly service besides the hostess who never smiled while helping waiters 😀

This restaurant is a true must-try. From the moment you step inside, you’re welcomed into a cozy space where tables encircle the open kitchen, creating a lively yet intimate atmosphere. The amuses set the tone beautifully; each one delightful in its own right, with a standout presentation served in a crab claw that was nothing short of mind-blowing. My personal favorite was the bluefin tuna with broccoli and caviar, a dish that balanced richness and freshness perfectly. The crab and the wonderfully crunchy seabass were also memorable highlights. The main course, sweetbread, was the dish I had most been looking forward to. It arrived as a generous portion, with a lovely crunch on the outside. For my taste, the inside leaned a little heavy, especially when paired with the fish sauce. While ambitious, it was the only element of the menu that didn’t quite shine for me as brightly as the others. The pairings were spot-on and elevated the experience. I would absolutely recommend them with the menu. Finally, a word for the team: knowledgeable, attentive, and welcoming throughout. Many thanks to all of them for a wonderful evening.

One of the best restaurants I've been to! This amazing two-star Michelin rating restaurant is as amazing as it is expensive but it's totally worth it. The food was extraordinary, the staff was super nice, the atmosphere was calm and pleasant and it was delightful to see the staff working in the kitchen. It was a great experience meeting the head chef and talking with the whole crew (each dish was served by someone else from the kitchen staff). All and all it was a unique experience, expensive but totally worth it!

212 Restaurant, Amsterdam 🌟🍽️ Nestled in the heart of Amsterdam, 212 Restaurant is a culinary gem that has earned its Michelin two-star status🌟🌟through an exceptional blend of innovation, flavor, and artistry. From the moment you step inside, the intimate atmosphere sets the stage for a memorable dining experience. ✨ Ambiance 🎨 The restaurant's design is sleek and modern, with an open kitchen that invites diners to witness the magic of culinary creation. The decor is minimalist yet warm, creating a cozy environment that encourages conversation while still allowing for an immersive gastronomic adventure. Service 👨‍🍳 The service at 212 is exemplary. The staff is attentive without being intrusive, providing insights into each dish with enthusiasm and expertise. Their passion for food and wine is evident, as they guide you through the menu and suggest pairings that elevate the overall experience. Cuisine 🍴 The menu at 212 is a testament to creativity and precision. Each dish is a work of art, showcasing seasonal ingredients sourced from local producers. One standout dish was the **Jerusalem Artichoke with Dutch Shrimp and Garlic Vinaigrette** — a harmonious balance of flavors that danced on the palate. The chef's ability to blend textures and tastes is remarkable, making each course a delightful surprise. 🌿🍤 The tasting menu is a journey, with each course revealing new dimensions of flavor. Highlights include the inventive use of spices and the presentation, which often resembles a piece of art more than a meal. The pairing of wines is equally impressive, with selections that complement each dish perfectly. 🍷 Final Thoughts 212 Restaurant is more than just a meal; it's an experience. With its Michelin two-star rating, it stands as a testament to culinary excellence in Amsterdam. Whether you're a local or a visitor, this restaurant should be on your must-visit list. Prepare to be dazzled by the creativity, flavors, and impeccable service that make dining here truly unforgettable! 🌟

Outstanding in every respect. One of those restaurants where simplicity and complexity and originality and quality are in perfect harmony. The multi course tasting menu was well balanced, well paced and accompanied by an interesting selection of slightly “off piste” wines. Bravo. An outstanding dinner worthy of promotion to the top of Michelin’s and any one else’s list.
Charles S — Google review
Amazing tastes and wonderful menu construction. This was let down a bit by the speed of service and overall duration of the experience; 4+ hours is not a comfortable end to end time. I’d advise anyone visiting to male expectations clear on arrival.
Jo L — Google review
With just sixteen seats wrapped around the open kitchen 212 makes the most of a corner canal house where Richard van Oostenbrugge and Thomas Groot have maintained 2 Michelin Stars since 2022. Dressed in light wood and grey materials a meal begins with organic presentations of canapes such as grissini in a field of wheat or crab cocktail from a claw before the signature Belper Knolle cheese and grey shrimp inside a crispy Sunchoke shell. Served straight from the kitchen, with each course commanding a complimentary bread, Broccoli finds unlikely friends in Caviar and O-Toro while King Crab wrapped in Squash Blossoms dances atop Vanilla and Peppers. Soundtracked by everything from The Clash to Gorillaz staff shows a lot of personality from start to finish, when Bass comes with crispy scales and Oyster liqueur before Sweetbreads under a crunchy Cruton gain impact from four impressions of Sardines. Bridging to dessert with an interesting Ice Cream of Chocolate and Bleu Cheese most tables will choose to finish with 212's signature Apple Tart with assertive notes of Ginger under edible "glass" followed by a Canele as good those in France.

A really lovely Dutch cafe in front of the National & Opera Ballet along the Amstel river. A little gem in the centre of Amsterdam! We will come back again to taste other amazing food. We had lunch with goat cheese in puff pastry on salad with honey and walnuts..lekker and an omelette with bacon, cheese and tomato..lekker too. Not to forget the 16 special beers on draft. Seats inside and outside. Lovely place and lovely owner.

Burger was great and they have a fantastic beer selection. I would not recommend fish and chips tho, it has a weird texture.

Overall not impressed. Food was OK but for the price I’d have expected better. Service was adequate but slow and our table wasn’t cleaned when we sat down. They just cleared the bottles without wiping it down. It shouldn’t have surprised me to then find the bathroom with soap as well. Personally, I’d try somewhere else if you’re reading this but your experience may be better.

Stopped for a quick cup of tea and desert late at night (after 10pm), and they were happy to accommodate us even though the kitchen was already closed. The home-made apple tart was delicious and so was the mint tea. Lovely seating on the terrace.

Cafe Tabac is a charming and authentic bruin cafe located at the picturesque corner of Prinsengracht and Brouwersgracht in Amsterdam. It has a rich history, having been through various transformations before becoming Cafe Tabac in 1996. This traditional Dutch pub offers a typical local drinking experience with an inviting outdoor area and a great selection of drinks. The ambiance is welcoming, with both indoor and outdoor seating options.
Stumbled upon this place during our visit and loved it! There is a big variety of food and everything we tried was flavorful and fresh. The environment is friendly and casual, everyone feels welcome.

Unassuming place, stumbled on this bar on the way to Anne Frank house, good beer and food is essentially Asian with Dutch flare, food was to die for. Fun spot, we were early but apparently at night it fills up and it becomes quite lovey, cannot wait to visit again!

Small unassuming joint but location was great. Right next to the canal. Cold beers after a hot day of walking, canal rides and Van Gogh Museum, and we were ready for a little sit down and people watching. The kroket/bitterballen were great, and the Soto Ayam Soup was reminiscent of Jakarta, Indonesian street food!

Amazing Indonesian food! We had the rendang daging and the chicken salad - and both were so good. Also, it's a nice place to go for drinks and bites near Anne Frank and the city center. And the service was good - even in a very busy day.

I can’t figure out why this wonderful place doesn’t have more stars. The staff was friendly and accommodating with very short notice, and the FOOOD WAS UNBELIEVABLE! We had the green curry and whichever option was above that. Everyone visiting Amsterdam must try this place out 🤌

This is a fabulous place to have lunch or dinner. I'm at this place as I write this. You can have sit outside or inside. We choose to sit inside. The ambiance is very welcoming. There is a bar and tables. And of course a big Tabac sign at the right side of the bar. This place is very clean. The food is delicious and freshly made downatairs. We had a delicious beer from the tap and a sandwich Chicken Tabac. Delicious. This is definitely a hidden gem! Well worth a visit when you are in Amsterdam.

If you're looking for a unique dining experience in Amsterdam, the Dinner Cruises offered by Amsterdam Jewel Cruises are an absolute must. Picture yourself gliding through the enchanting canals while savoring delicious meals like fresh pizza, complemented by bottomless drinks including wine and beer. This delightful journey allows you to soak in the stunning sights of the city from a whole new angle. With a cozy atmosphere on board, you'll be welcomed with a glass of bubbles as you settle into one of their intimate tables.
It was amazing! Very good food and the staff is super nice. The cruise is great and everything is made in order that you feel good and comfy. Go for it, you will not have regrets, only very good souvenirs. I really loved it and my partner also.

This was such a fun and cool experience! The food was piping hot and genuinely delicious, with a few surprises along the way to add to the meal. Service was absolutely impeccable, our host and server pointed out some places of interest along the canals without being intrusive, and always seemed to stop by the table right when we needed him. Having dinner on the boat turned out to be the perfect welcome on our first evening in the Netherlands - a tour of the central part of the city, and total relaxation with a world-class meal and charm of a cozy antique boat. Lovely after a busy day of travel and walking. We left feeling like very lucky people!

What a special experience. This was booked as a birthday celebration while on vacation. The boat was cozy and upscale at the same time. The staff was brilliant. Ten years ago my wife and I had our wedding reception on board. Since then we’ve moved abroad, but take this dinner cruise every time we visit and always recommend it to our friends. Fantastic dishes, hosts and captains. Sit in the front if you like to hear about all the sights from the skipper, or hang in the back for quiet romance and breathtaking views of the canals.
Gijs — Google review
My wife and I had a wonderful experience on this canal cruise. It was 3.5 hours and the staff and captain were very accommodating. The food was from a local restaurant and was prepared and tasted well. See the pictures. I had the steak and my wife had the seafood plate. The price was high but considering this was our 30th wedding anniversary trip, it was well worth it.

We used Amsterdam Jewel Dinner Cruise and found it a great way to see the city from a different perspective and enjoy a delicious meal at the same time. The cruise took us through some of the most beautiful canals in Amsterdam, and you'll get to see some of the city's most iconic landmarks. The food on the cruise was excellent. We had a three-course meal, The food tasted wonderful and was presented beautifully. There was a wide selection of drinks available. The service on the cruise is excellent. The crew were friendly and attentive, and were happy to answer any questions we had about the city. They also provided commentary throughout the cruise, so we learnt a lot about the history and culture of Amsterdam. Overall, I would highly recommend Amsterdam Jewel Dinner Cruise. It was a great way to see the city and enjoy a delicious meal at the same time. Book your cruise in advance, especially if you're traveling during peak season.
Martin P — Google review
We spent a beautiful evening on board! The boat is elegant and exactly what I wanted (unlike big boats for mass tourism). The food was good and warm, thanks to the pickup from a caterer along the route (actually the boat does a loop in the canals around the location for a 2nd pickup for the main course). Even though it was very cold outside, the boat was warm enough to be clothed in style. I appreciated the comments that the captain provided during the tour even though the website said it wasn't a commented visit. Perhaps you can explain this on board so people can decide to sit in front or in the back depending on if they want the comments or not? We weren't offered to choose our table but it was good anyway! Special congratulations to the waitress who did an amazing job all by herself!
Clément N — Google review
We can’t rave enough about this! We were looking for the perfect romantic dinner boat experience for our anniversary, and we came across jewel cruises online. There are a few other cheaper food cruise experiences, but ones mainly focussed on either drinking, smoking or more for family/tourist groups. This one is more of splurge if you’re thinking of doing a boat cruise experience, but totally WORTH IT if you’re looking for a more private, intimate boat experience with loved ones in Amsterdam. Our skipper was inviting and our host, Myrd, was exceptional. He gave the best service and also provided small snippets of Amsterdam history along the journey. The boat is cosy and intimate, and provides lovely views no matter where you’re sat. The food was delicious and high quality, and you’re never waiting too long for your next course. The almost 3 hours goes by so quickly when you’re taking in the beautiful views on Amsterdam and enjoying spectacular food. Truly an experience we’ll always rave about to anyone visiting Amsterdam! 🇳🇱💖

The skatepark is very nice and new. It is very spacious, and there is lots of space between obstacles. The music made the vibe amazing, too. The pizza came surprisingly fast. It was juicy and flavorful, but the crust wasn't the greatest. The worker there was very welcoming and friendly.

This was the first meal my girlfriend and I had after a 12-hour flight from Singapore to Amsterdam. We absolutely loved the atmosphere, music, and food here. The manager was very polite and had a charming smile, which gave us such a wonderful start to our trip in Amsterdam!
Liew A — Google review
The blonde waitress is very rude and unfriendly. She lifted the awning without warning and it nearly hit us all in the face. They served us cider in a glass, not a pint as is usually served, and the menu doesn't specify this either. The glass was half full, and half of that was ice. So imagine how much liquid there was that they didn't send it back. I don't recommend it.
Evy T — Google review
The staff is really friendly and you feel welcome. It’s the Amsterdam vibe without the hipster nuance. We ended up here because our original plan was cancelled, but it was totally worth ending up here. The Beyond burger is really nice: juicy, nice sauce, nicely plated. The fries are from Friet uit Zuyd and they’re a bit sweet and crunchy. The mayonaise could have had some more flavour, but it could have been a vegan option. We didn’t ask. All in all, nice place, nice vibe, good food.

We have order Cheese fondue since majority of the tables ordered this, and understood that we made the correct decision. It was delicious, on the side we have ordered beef steak and Truffle-Risotto kroketjes with fries. They also offer vegan and vegetarian options. The atmosphere is warm but a bit too crowded and loud. They also have an outdoor seating which i think would be perfect for spring and summer. If you are in Oost you should definitely check this place👍🏼 The price per person is between 30-40 euro which is decent given the amount of food we have ordered:)

When exploring the culinary delights of Amsterdam, a visit to Par Hasard is an absolute must. This charming eatery not only serves up some of the best Belgian-style fries in the city, but it also offers a delightful array of traditional Dutch snacks. You can indulge in homemade treats like bitterballen and croquettes, all accompanied by their signature house-made mayonnaise.
This is a hidden gem in Amsterdam. A nice place where you can enjoy some really delicious fries and snacks. I highly recommend to order fries with a sauce of your choice and a “Shredded meat croquette Holtkamp”. It is the best and most delicious croquette I’ve ever eaten! And I’m not exaggerating. Yes it is somewhat pricey… but the overall taste and texture makes up for it! There was a friendly lady who made me feel welcome. She is proactive and kind. I like the overall vibe of the place. It’s clean and feels retro. You can sit on the outside and inside, depending on the weather. If you are looking for quality snacks with some nice drinks, this is your spot!

Another great fry in Amsterdam. Par Hasard has been known for serving great fries. I had been in the past and went back to se how consistent they are in delivering great fries. Spoiler alert; they are. They have a restaurant and a takeaway section. I went for a quick snack so I ordered the normal sized fries with Belgian mayonnaise. The fries are served on a metal plate which is a nice touch as it allows you to eat with both hands free. The first thing you notice is the beautiful color of the fries. They are fried to a perfect crisp. They were salted just perfectly. The Belgian mayonnaise was very tasty with a nice sour twist. Lovely!

A lovely restaurant with great service and tasty food. We had a cheeseburger that was deliciously juicy and a fish (in beer batter) and fries. It should be noted that it isn't a whole fish but the fish is made chicken nugget style. British people might be disappointed when expecting fish and chips. The fries were tasty, crisp and fresh. The price is decent and the atmosphere is great.

Everything was good. Not great. Had missing cutlery and napkin when the first course arrived, during the second course the plates were missing again and the spaghetti was lukewarm at best and had a little more black pepper than needed, overpowering the taste of the truffle and spaghetti. Seemed like 1 person was missing to allow the staff to be more attentive for the customers. Can’t really complain about the food, it is good. But again, for a restaurant of this caliber, the small things add up to an overall less than satisfactory experience. Not a bad one overall, but could easily be improved.

I have never been in such a wonderful restaurant than Tozi in the Netherlands. Everybody was so nice and polite, the food was amazing like in Italy. Here you can get quality over quantity, but if you order the shared meals you can easily get full. I only can recommend this place.👌🏻
Erika D — Google review
ordered a tasting menu at Tozi & it started out strong! House made focaccia & the tuna were the clear winners. ricotta Cheese & truffle ravioli was a bit overwhelming (personally don’t like ricotta), but the texture was perfection! i wish the eggplant parmigiana were a bit more breaded for texture (overall was a bit soggy & thick with sauce) tiramisu ratio was off although i enjoyed the cup presentation! (too much crème per cookie)

I love trying new restaurants and coming back if they meet my main requirements: Good service, delicious food, efficient service, and a pleasant atmosphere. I must say that I've wanted to try this place for a long time, and today I finally had the chance to come. I'm very happy with the experience, 100% recommended. I know many restaurants, and this is on my list of restaurants I'll return to without a second thought! Thank you for the delicious food and the good ambiance. I'm a pastry chef, and wherever there's good service and food, I'm happy to enjoy it! Thank you very much, especially to the waiter Elia; he's excellent with his guests.

A wonderful Italian restaurant with outstanding service and truly delicious food. We had the carpaccio, aubergine, cacio e pepe, and tiramisu, all of which were absolutely delicious. Our waitress, Ines, was exceptionally friendly and attentive, which made the experience even better. Highly recommended!

Incredible meal, world class experience. Welcoming atmosphere & table layout. Ilyia & Alba were our servers & they were exceptional. They guided our ordering with top recommendations. Our group of six shared tapas style & each selection was better than the previous. Highlights were the swordfish, pasta pepe, and the tar tar. Highly recommend, don't hesitate making a reservation.

Eetcafé 't Pakhuis is a hidden gem nestled on a small street, offering a cozy and inviting atmosphere that strikes the perfect balance between an eatery and a brown bar. The dark lighting, wooden furniture, and an adorable bar cat create a homely ambiance. It's conveniently located near Spui and Kalverstraat, making it an ideal spot to unwind after exploring the city.
Today we went for the unlimited ribs. We were surprised the first round came with fries and salad, great value. The ribs were yummy and the service even more yummy, the staff were so friendly. I can't wait to go back

So, this was the best restaurant experience my wife and I have ever had. The classic all-you-can-eat ribs were absolutely amazing, and what surprised me was the huge portion right from the start. Knowing I could have ordered more if I had any room left in my stomach felt incredible. The waitresses and waiters were super attentive and understanding, and the manager was incredibly kind and warm, he even told us a story about a man who managed to eat six portions without a problem. The garlic sauce paired perfectly with the perfectly cooked, melt-in-your-mouth meat. I can only recommend this place: 10/10

Happy Monday everyone! My friends and I went out for dinner and we are craving spareribs. It was so juicy, soft and tasteful not bad for the price. It's a lot of servings for the first round; you were really full and satisfied. Definitely, I will come back again.
House P — Google review
The classic rib was quite good. I ordered Mon-Wed all you can eat, and the quantity was crazy big from the first serving. Not necessary I was full with it but that was too much meat to eat a lot. It’s cheaper than normal portion anyway so pair it with beer and other drinks, enjoy your dinner slowly to eat more :)

We had unlimited spare ribs both classic and hot Smokey. Personally I love the hot Smokey better it is juicy. Tender. I saw the Asian style is good too. We had only two racks, no more. Too full.

Amsterdam’s Giant 1.5-meter Spare Ribs are a must-try at Eetcafé het Pakhuis!! 🍖🔥👀 They’re served all week long, with an unbeatable €25 unlimited ribs deal every Monday to Wednesday. Don't forget to pair them with their delicious Mac‘n Cheese, fries, onion rings, fresh salads, beers or cocktails. 🍻 A local favourite and viral foodie, so come hungry and taste these legendary ribs yourself! 🤤

We went here since we saw some stories in IG. But frankly speaking, it's not as per our expectation. The steak is expensive but it's dry and tasteless. The ribs is ok but not so special. We didn't know there is lunch packages so we bought the steak at normal price.

Downtown Burger is a delightful eatery offering delectable burgers with a tantalizing flame-broiled taste. The meat boasts a smoky flavor and comes accompanied by fresh salad and fries, making for a satisfying meal. The restaurant provides comfortable indoor seating as well as an inviting terrace option. Furthermore, the hosts are known for their helpfulness and friendliness towards patrons. Conveniently, there are bathrooms available on-site.
From the friendly staff to the food and atmosphere- 10/10. The food was delicious, we ordered the classic downtown burger and the meat was delicious plus the burger was huge. Worth every penny. And then the staff, from the host to the waiters they were also super friendly and nice. Really enjoyed it!

🔵 VERY GOOD SERVICE, NICE PEOPLE AND LOTS OF OPTIONS 🔵 I stopped to look at the menu and I like the options there. A nice man greeted us and intended us to sit down and the seat just beside us was warming and welcoming. The man was nice and took a chair out to park my son’s pram. Looking at the menu, I like the chicken burger and my wife’s choice was a pasta carbonara. For my surprise, the burger was average and the carbonara was really good! My wife loved it. Thank you for being so welcoming, but the burger could improve!
John T — Google review
The location of this restaurant is truly beautiful — right on the square, with lots of potential for a nice dining experience. But unfortunately, the food and overall experience just didn’t live up to it. I ordered a 300g steak, and I honestly doubt it was the full portion — especially since it arrived already slightly cut on the plate (which I found quite odd and unprofessional). It just didn’t look fresh, and the side dishes felt like they had been pre-prepared long ago and thrown together at the last minute. The taste? Not bad, but really not great either. Just plain average. Another thing: if you're dining alone or with one other person, don’t expect to get a seat with a view. I was seated near the entrance, probably one of the least pleasant spots in the place. The waiter kept walking past constantly, which made it hard to relax. I saw a couple try to get a table near the front, but they were told “you’re only two,” and then they just left. In summary: beautiful setting, very average food, and poor table allocation unless you’re a big group. A classic case of style over substance. I wouldn’t return.

Nice atmosphere, friendly and attentive staff. The food was good, even if the preparation took a little long. Overall, it was a pleasant experience .
Lina Z — Google review
It was okay—just okay. Shout out to the staff, though; they know their job, help you find a seat, and are friendly and helpful. We ordered salads and snacks, which were fine but nothing special. The cocktails seemed to have just a drop of alcohol. It was raining, so we popped in spontaneously, but it’s not a place I’d recommend visiting in Amsterdam. There are better spots around the square for a traveler to enjoy.
Sara R — Google review
Terrible experience. I asked for a red beer recommendation and what they brought was not a beer at all — it was basically a berry juice. To make it worse, they served it already opened. When I asked for a replacement, they told me they couldn’t change it because it was already open. Completely unacceptable and disrespectful to customers. WORST BEER IN AMSTERDAM. Definitely do not recommend this place.

Het Paardje, located in De Pijp, offers a relaxed dining experience with a large sunny terrace. Situated on the bustling Gerard Douplein, it embodies the laid-back atmosphere of the area. The bar serves classic dishes and cocktails, making it an ideal spot for brunch or evening drinks. The spacious terrace is equipped with adjustable wind protection and heaters, creating a comfortable environment even during colder days. Despite its popularity, the staff efficiently accommodates guests.
Went here on a mini bar hop back to our hotel and had an appetizer platter and drinks. Everything was very tasty. It was a busy night with lots of people inside and outside, but we didn't really have any trouble with getting a place and getting orders in.

We were looking for a place to have lunch and we passed by Het Paardje. The staff managed to find us a table for 2 in a few minutes, even though it was Saturday. Tried 2 of their soups - tomato and soup of the day, which was Mustard soup. Since this was a traditional dish for the Netherlands we had to try it. Even though it may sound a little bit crazy, it was delicious.

Came here for a work team dinner. Quite a busy restaurant and outdoor area so would definitely recommend a reservation. We started off getting drinks and appetizers. The appetizers we got was Bread Aioli, Hummus (tahini and pita), Roasted Cauliflower (tahini and chimichurri)... all very nice. Then I ordered the Steak Bearnaise. The steak was cook to perfection, super tender, honestly one of the better steaks I've eaten in the Netherlands! Would totally recommend this dish. Also the fries were really nice so cannot complain about any of the dish. Servers were attentive and quick, great restaurant!

Beautiful restaurant. Decor/ furniture everything is beautiful! Food was lovely and so were all waiters/waitresses. I have still given 5 stars but service was a little slower than desired. However that was only because we had somewhere to be. Otherwise it was the perfect environment for a girls dinner, and not deserving of being marked down.

Cozy atmosphere. Nice presentation and tasty fusion of flavors. Only minus point was one of the orders was mixed up and late arriving after the rest of the table was finished. This is the reason I am giving a 4, not a 5.
Kay M — Google review
The place was much bigger than i thought. On the internet it was only possible to book after 20:30, but when we arrived it was not full at all. It does look modern from the inside. I personally think it's way too big, so there's less atmosphere for me. The food was pretty good, not many vegetarian options but the cauliflower was tasty. The service was okay not very good or something. For the rest there was music but not really intelligible.

The place is so cozy and relaxing to hang out though the food is nothing that special but location is superb as it is located in stadionplein and its really big and they are accepting meetings or birthday party here... Really cool place to hang out, comfy

Good place for a quick bite or drink, plenty of various types of drinks, very attentive service, and perfect for groups. Try to avoid the days that usually lots of crowd streams in, then it is just too busy. Outside sitting is perfect, with the perfect location to enjoy a sunny summer day.

Really large restaurant with a nice terrace. The Interior is modern and stylisch. Staff is excellent and so is the food. From fresh fish to the hamburgers, everything tastes wonderful.
Sander P — Google review
Really slow and disappointing service. We had to ask twice before having a high chair brought to our table. Very limited and expensive menu. Small portions and expensive. I like to pay for good/amazing food but I was so disappointed. I usually love everything I eat, but that was truly not good. I wasn’t able to finish my plate. Also, my kids burger was bigger than mine. I asked for a glass of water. He brought me a small and expensive bottle of water and poured it in my glass without verifying if I agreed first. I will not go back.

We were visiting from New York and had very little time to eat a quick lunch with local friends. I’ve not experienced such quick service in a long time and we were in and out in no time. The head waiter led us to a sunny table by the window and the roast beef sandwich was a delight. They were very sweet about my cafe latte order which I wanted with oat versus regular milk (I messed up the order) and all in all it was a wonderful -albeit short -time at this idyllic cafe! Thank you! Highly recommend 🧡

We had High tea and from the moment we entered the service was faultless. All the servers were so attentive and kind. The high tea was delicious. Everything was made fresh you could tell and I loved the selection. They easily catered for my vegetarian friend. We even got to sample sparkling tea which was so light and refreshing perfect for the hot summer day. Highly Recommend!

This is a typical Dutch cafe. The atmosphere is interesting, with the place situated by the water and a park. Food is decent but not memorable. Service could be faster and dishes could be better tuned with a bit more ‘love’ and ‘soul’ to them .

We had a wonderful lunch at Restaurant Vrijburcht with my parents, and it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. The food was absolutely delicious, beautifully prepared, and full of flavor. The pasta with fresh truffle was a real highlight — rich, fragrant, and perfectly balanced. To finish, we enjoyed a cheese platter paired with a glass of white port, which was simply delightful. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, making it the perfect place to enjoy a relaxed meal together. What really stood out, however, was the service. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel at home — friendly, attentive, and genuinely caring. It truly made the whole experience special. Highly recommended for anyone looking for excellent food combined with exceptional hospitality.

We went there at around 8.30 pm for dinner. The place looked like a haunted one. One lady staff told us they don't serve food, sorry. She turned us back bluntly. Though she was kind enough to call another place for us. We had a tough time getting a taxi to another place. We felt insulted and humiliated.
Yogesh P — Google review
I live around neighborhood so I go quite often, the owner/manager of the cafe treats customers sometimes quite impolitely and makes a face a lot, suspect that he treats people based on their face color. Otherwise it’s fine food/coffee, but there are flies around while eating, not the best dining experience. Can still enjoy some sun in the outdoor space though.

Petit Caron is a charming French bistro located at Gerard Douplein, with plans to open a new location at Frans Halsstraat. The restaurant has received high praise for its cozy ambiance and attentive service. Guests have raved about the delicious meals, including cod and braised beef, as well as the delightful escargot and charcuterie board. The wine selection has also been commended.
Perfect place for a cozy date or a get-together with the friends. The menu is not too large, but we found plenty of options to share. Everything was tasty, though the beetroot dish felt a bit too simple. For the main, the duck leg was absolutely delicious. The design is fresh and modern, offering bar seating or tables depending on your vibe. The restaurant and toilets were spotless, and the service was attentive and friendly. A lovely experience overall—I will definitely be back!

Excellent meal! We had a the fish starters and main. All were really delicious. The wait staff were really attentive and knew the menu well including the wine. They were able to help with recommendations and what could be made gluten free. The decor is very cost and comfortable. I would highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be back 👌

Okay, I love this place. I recently went for the second time and everything was really good. The first time I was by myself just grabbing a bite after some meetings. Even though I think the kitchen was closed, they like made it work and got me some appetizers. And the second time I went to see if it was a fluke or not, it definitely wasn't. It was great. I was with a friend and we got an amazing service again. And it's just really pleasant overall: the service is impeccable, the food is good, the drink list is extensive, and the vibes are just really great. The music selection is also on point. I think this would be a great date spot. But it's also good if you're coming with girlfriends and there's some bar seating options. Though the tables are smaller, you can seat more people at the bar side. I went in without a reservation on a weekday night and had no problem. Overall, would definitely recommend it to everyone 🤩
Bertuğ B — Google review
We had the chance to try this place and we were there with a large group — so we ended up tasting almost everything on the menu. Overall, everything was delicious. The ricotta was beautifully presented, served with a sauce that nicely balanced the cheese with honey and spices. The kingfish was served in larger cuts than the usual ceviche style. The seabass was absolutely fantastic — the sauce complemented it perfectly. The Bavette was well-cooked, but unfortunately served a bit cold. I would have preferred it warmer. If I had to choose my selection for 2-3 person for next time, I’d go for the oysters and ricotta for starter, and definitely the seabass as the main course. I mentioned my table preference when I made the reservation, and they arranged exactly the one I wanted — I really appreciate that.
Hande M — Google review
We went there as a group of 5 and had very good time. Ordered around 1 starter per person. And 1 main dish. All were very tasty. The only negative thing is, the portions are rather small and quite expensive. We ordered sea bass for 2 people for 75 euros as main dish but was actually in the size of a 1 person dish. So, if you are not short on money good place to visit, remember to order a bit more than normal.
Murat Ö — Google review
Such a great dining experience. A small but curated menu and variety of wine options (excellent recommendations by the staff) in a beautiful and relaxing setting make for a memorable dinner. All plates were special and nicely executed:) As a note, one might want to wait for the menu rotation before visiting again, since options are few.
John P — Google review
Petit Caron was a true disappointment. A wannabe French inspired bistro that has nothing to do with France besides the wine menu. If you are going to be the 82847 restaurant in Amsterdam with the same concept at least have the decency of serving French like portions and not charging 14€ for this ridiculous cheese platter. I’m aware that Amsterdam is an expensive city, I live here after all, but this place is borderline disrespectful to their clientele. The only positive thing and the reason why this is not a one stat review is that our waitress was lovely. Thanks for being the only good thing this so called restaurant has to offer.
Lamia C — Google review
November 2024, My earlier 'review' was in the old restaurant, this is the current place. Decoration, look and feel is like a bistro it feels really good. Ate at the bar. Service was good but at the old place it was a bit more intimate. The beetroot was fantastic, loved the bonding noir and especially the gamba - did not expect this when I ordered it. The coquille was a bit disappointing. Enough wine by the glass. Overall real good dinner and very well priced. Old location French Bistro style like you want to see it. From atmosphere, menu, taste, plating, location and of course staff. It fits perfectly together. This is a real nice place. And many know my 'weakness' for toilets as well ... do visit this one as well .... :-)

I recently had brunch in the Pijp and found a nice spot with great outdoor seating. However, inside the restaurant was a bit chaotic. The waiter was very courteous though, which was a plus.
