Danish Dining Experience: A Mixed Review The flavors are quite mild, Danish-style, but the salty items are extremely salty. After you order, they'll ask if you want water. If you say yes, they charge 25 krone per person, though they don't tell you the price upfront. They just fill a glass bottle with tap water. The upside is they refill it unlimited times. Interestingly, there's an overpriced Thai-owned Italian restaurant at M Quartier in Thailand that has copied this practice. The coffee is good, but before you've even finished, the waitstaff will quickly clear your glass. They'll also rush to clear your plates before you're done eating and constantly ask if you want to order anything else, as if to say, "If you're not ordering more, please pay and leave." In summary, you're probably better off finding a bakery shop that sells delicious sandwiches and pastries which are plenty in Copenhagen.

Vibrant atmosphere, good service, delicious food. Brunch plate was really fun to try and quality was great. That cheesecake was amazing 🥰 Need to reserve a table, since it’s very busy. The only downside is that it’s a little pricey.

I walked past this cafe and I saw how buzzing it was from outside so I decided to join the queue for a few minutes and it was well worth it! I quite enjoyed the grungy/trendy atmosphere and the casualness of the waiting staff, this really set the tone. It was very busy inside but I didn’t have to wait too long for my brunch. Everything is fresh and handmade, my salmon and avocado rye bread tartine with poached eggs was divine, so was my coffee and freshly squeezed orange juice. I would happily go back there.

Had brunch at Union Kitchen last weekend and it was truly delicious — I ate every single item on the plate. The music playlist was also 🔥, adding to the great vibe. Only downside is you can only have the table for 2 hours, but the staff was kind enough to let us linger at another nearby table. Excellent food, atmosphere, and service!

Last night at The Union Kitchen in Copenhagen, felt like catching up with old friends over small plates. The interior feels both cosy and quietly elegant, with warm lighting and tasteful décor that never feels over the top. Our server suggested about three dishes per person, and that turned out to be spot-on. • Pesto Pasta: al dente ribbons of tagliatelle in a fresh, garlicky green sauce. • Burrata with Peas: creamy cheese with sweet peas and a drizzle of olive oil. • Garlic Bread: warm, pillowy slices lathered in butter and herbs. • Arancini: two golden rice balls, crunchy outside, oozy cheese inside. • Thai-Style Pork Meatballs (3 pieces): lightly spiced, tangy sauce, perfect balance of sweet and heat. • Classic Beef Meatballs (3 pieces): rich meat, simple tomato base, a sprinkle of ricotta. • Sweet Potato (“Batata”): crispy-on-the-outside, fluffy-on-the-inside wedges seasoned with sea salt—an addictive side. Portions are definitely on the smaller side—three meatballs per order—so plan to add an extra plate or two if you’re really hungry. Still, the variety keeps things fun and conversational. We had a lovely dinner, I highly recommend this restaurant.

Dropped by for a Sunday lunch with zero expectations. The Swedish meatballs were a hit, though the purée could use a flavor boost. The service, atmosphere, and decor were as friendly as a Labrador. Looking forward to returning in the summer for some sun and wine.

we had an amazing dinner with the family, the menú was concise so we didn't get lost with many options. the Spanish waiter was very friendly and the manager, Nico, very kind. we felt at home. I would highly recommend you the frites, the tartare and as dessert the profiteroles

It’s my first night in Copenhagen, and my friend took me out to dinner at this restaurant. We had the family sharing menu, and the food was quite good. I love the presentation of the food. Wasn’t a big fan of my main course, the chicken, but other than that everything else was delicious. The place itself used to be a butchery factory and they have done a great job with the ambience and design. I forgot to ask the name of our server, but he was extremely nice.

We went there for my birthday diner because I missed home food. We both ordered the steak frites and portions were very appropriate, there was a very nice French waiter and she made the experience even more pleasant 🫶 The elderflower lemonade was delish ✌️

As a tourist from Ukraine, of course, it was a bit expensive for me. But if you compare in general with the prices in Copenhagen, then +- normal prices. The dish was very tasty, the place is spacious, there were few people in the morning in autumn. Only my plate was cracked, but maybe it all goes into the atmosphere of the place, I don't know🤪

Had breakfast here after being recommended by several people. I have to say they were not wrong. I had the porridge 1, and it was one of the best I ever had. Fresh toppings, right temperature and texture. The bowl may look small, but remember that it is porridge, that will fill you up. The hot chocolate was alright, nothing special but not bad either. The staff was very nice, and the place was very cozy. The price is not too bad for Copenhagen, I recommend it if you are looking for a more budget friendly breakfast in the city.

This review is written in a state of utter frustration and disappointment. We just left Grød after well over an hour of waiting for our food that we never got. The 3 teens who were working had no understanding of the words customer service and no awareness of their surroundings. After waiting for over an hour we finally got up to ask about our food. They looked at each other helplessly and said they “lost the order”. This is a very small space and we were sitting in plain site so how they didn’t come to realize that we hadn’t gotten our order is mind boggling. We asked for a refund and left in anger, frustration, hunger, disbelief, and disappointment, as we were really looking forward to what might have been a good meal. I would not recommend this place due to abominable service alone. (Also, we ordered a beer when we arrived and when we took it out of the fridge it was room temperature. When we asked the young girl who rang us up if they had any cold ones because this one was warm she said, “no, we just put those in there”. Mentioning that when we ordered it would have been helpful.) Very frustrating experience.

Simply delicious food. The Red Daal Bowl was awesome. The dal was well cooked and tasty. Nice quantity. The veggies were fresh. Loves it so much that I had two. Place is nice and cozy.

Lovely place for breakfast with excellent coffee and the best porridge I've had outside of home. It really is that good! I had the porridge 1 with apple, roasted almond and caramel sauce, delicious. My husband had the all in, an impressive amount of toppings although some of the flavors like peanut butter were a bit overwhelming. Prices are on par with any other breakfast in Copenhagen. If you love porridge, don't miss this place!

One of our favourite breakfasts in Copenhagen! It gets very busy here and the staff work very, very hard. They are still so lovely and the service is prompt. We were grateful to arrive early enough to get a walk-in table for 1.5hrs - I would otherwise, recommend making a reservation if you can. Everything here is so fresh, flavourful and quite unique in how each dish is prepared and served.

Overall a good experience. Unfortunately the avocado was too hard to eat, and some dishes had mint leaves that I didn’t enjoy, it would be helpful if that was mentioned on the menu. On the bright side, the eggs were excellent and the atmosphere pleasant. I’d recommend the place, though it’s a bit pricey. Also, it’s best to book a table in advance through their website, very convenient.

Absolutely fantastic quality of the brunch! Yes, these portions are small, so I will suggest to get 5 or 7 items but it's definitely worth it. Ingredients are high quality, everything is matching perfectly and you will be full after 7 pieces brunch. I can definitely recommend it to anyone but try to book a reservation because it can be very busy!

A very cosy place, with a high quality breakfast / brunch. We didn't have a reservation but we were lucky enough to find an empty table inside and to enjoy our breakfast for 1h30 min. The service was very prompt, and the servicing members friendly and kind. The hot chocolate was really nice, with a balanced taste and it was not extremely sweet. Also, by far my favourite was the smoothie with kale, caju butter and banana - it was so delicious. We could taste the high quality of the ingredients, even if the portions were smaller than we expected. It was too windy and cold to stay outside, but during the summer time it definitely worth it. I gave a lower review because not all the ingredients were listed (e.g. onion topped over the omelette) so it was too late to talk with the waiter about my food intolerance. Some small things can make a big difference.

They only had outdoor seating, which is fine ! But don't leave customers waiting 15+ minutes to take order when sitting outside. Would've been more tolerable if we got our coffees while waiting but they didn't come until about 5 minutes after we got our food... Food was reasonably good but the slow service and lack of attentiveness lowered score.

This place has a nice online branding, thanks to a good design agency, but the reality is disappointing. The food is bland, basic, and overpriced for what it is. The restaurant was uncomfortably cold the entire time, and getting the waiters' attention was nearly impossible. I wouldn’t recommend dining here. Like the "grilled banana bread with blue poppy seeds and butterscotch caramel sauce," for example—sounds intriguing on paper, but in reality, it’s absolutely disappointing.

Granola felt like stepping into a nostalgic café tucked in a Parisian‑inspired street in Copenhagen. The retro decor which is complete with enamel signs, a vintage coffee mill, and soft tunes from the ’50s had me smiling with charm I arrived for a brunch after wandering through Værnedamsvej, and the experience was cozy and comforting. The cappuccino was smooth with a gentle balance of foam and coffee, while the breakfast spread- warm rye bread, eggs, cheese, and fresh juice felt both familiar and effortlessly European. Service was friendly if notably slow during the busy morning hours. The food hit the spot & the relaxed vibe and nostalgic surroundings made it a perfect spot to slow down for a quiet meal.

The ambiance is nice but we didn’t have the best time here in Granola. It was very hard to get the attention of the wait staff and it took us a long time to even get some water. The variety in the lunch menu is not very satisfying and sadly the brunch is over at 12, which is a bit early for weekends imo. We ordered the avocado on rye bread and an omelette with ham & cheese. The omelette was good but the avocado toast was not the best. Right after we were done with our food, the staff told us that we need to get the bill and vacate the table as they had another reservation soon. This wasn’t nice, as we spent most of our time here waiting and were expected to leave right after we finished our plates. Not a good experience.

Just perfect for brunch! Very affordable and with a great value. You get to select a handful of things off the menu and you also have access to the buffet. Exceptional food! The rice pudding is amazing!! It was pretty crowded even mid week so recommend you book in advance.

They have a great brunch concept with a wide variety of small dishes that you can take from the big table in the middle of the room as an all you can take buffet and a menu where you can choose 4 family style dishes. When we received the 4 small dishes we were told we had a refill on those but then when we asked our waiter for the additional items we were told that was an old rule, so it would be good to have that clarified among the staff. Regardless we were overall happy with the experience and definitely recommend trying out for yourself.

4+. A date with a friend on a bustling Friday evening, this place was really a good setup for a nice time. We opted for the 8-course menu, one vegan and one pescatarian, and paired with a nice bottle of wine (the one item that brought the final bill up). The food was really good, it is not meant to be gourmet or high end, but it still delivers in terms of flavors and presentation. Our waiter was really nice, and his service was attentive but not intrusive. The price of the set menu (270 DKK) is excellent given the service and the dishes that were offered. Looking forward to another visit, maybe for brunch!

Amazing brunch place! My husband and I went here for his birthday and they had a delicious buffet spread in addition to the scrambled eggs and deliciousness in this picture! We got the waffle, mushrooms, sweet potatoes, and bacon. Friendly service and cool vibes too.

One of the best brunches in Copenhagen! It has everything you’d expect from a great brunch… and so much more. It’s a perfect blend of the classic brunch buffet and the more modern “customize your own brunch” concept. You can choose five items from the menu and take the rest from the buffet. I’m usually not a big fan of buffets, but this is a great way to do it—especially because the buffet is designed so you can take small portions of what you want, rather than the typical buffet style where everyone serves themselves from the same large plates. You can order classic brunch items like eggs, bacon, beans, tomatoes, yogurt with granola, waffles, and cheese. But there are also less traditional options, like rice pudding, various salads, and a wide selection of Middle Eastern inspired dishes. Side car is also super cozy and very popular so make sure to book a table in advance. The only thing that would make this brunch even better is more fresh fruit!

Honestly, I know this place is hyped and popular, but I had an average experience here. I’m glad I went though and got to try the food, but I’m not sure it was worth the 15 minute wait in line for a table. It was a lot of tourists in line so I’m not sure how the locals feel about it, but the food was pretty average for the prices and wait time. The restaurant is definitely so well decorated and cozy, with its rustic eclectic feel. 10/10 for atmosphere. Coffee was really great, avocado toast and oatmeal was mid.

Atelier Septembre is a decent coffee, breakfast, and brunch spot, but it doesn't quite live up to the hype. The food is tasty but some dishes come across as a bit pretentious—"Kyoto style" grapefruit being simply some grapefruit pieces with a few mint leaves. However the Coffee is good and generous in size. But with limited seating, slow service, and high prices, it's probably not worth going out of your way to visit.

Probably my favorite location, it is less busy and feels more relaxed. The bathrooms need a renovation though, one is out of order other one looks insane 🫢

Small and cozy cafe. We went in for breakfast and we were able to secure a table without waiting for too long. The blueberry pancake was delicious. The combination of blueberry sauce & vanilla cream was perfectly balanced with the almond pancake. Other dishes were okay. Typical avocado toast, bread and cheese. Would not recommend other drinks than coffee. Matcha was very light and diluted, almost like drinking water. Ambiance was great and relaxed. Everything was on a pricier side considering the taste & portion. The service was friendly and the food was fast.

The place to be when in Copenhagen. Maybe the most hyped cafe in town but so much worth it. If you have to try something from the menu go for the almond pancake - it is unlike any other pancake and maybe the best I had so far. No need to talk about interior and aesthetics, a true Scandinavian vibe.

Atelier is among the best café/restaurant anywhere. The thought that has gone into the food and the drinks is great: even classic stuff like their porridge or hot (oat) chocolate is made in a quirky way that makes the stuff just wonderful and super special. Did I mention the soups? This has become my go-to place after trying out lots of different locations in Copenhagen. I simply love this place :). The staff is extremely nice. Sure, there is no toilet besides one across the street as I see someone pointed out, but focusing on that means royally missing the point of this place. Highly recommended.

I visited Wulff & Konstali for brunch this Friday after a close friend highly recommended it, and I’m so glad I did! It definitely lived up to the hype. The menu offers a great variety of dishes, pastries, and beverages to suit all tastes. The staff, especially Olga, were incredibly warm and welcoming. Olga helped us choose based on our preferences, and everything was absolutely spot on! I highly recommend Wulff & Konstali—definitely worth a visit!

Visited Wulff & Konstali on my 5th time to Copenhagen. Big obsession with this city and its breakfast. I have always been a regular at Mad & Kaffe and decided to try out Wulff & Konstali! And it did not disappoint, I guess the weather and the sun did helped to make the entire meal more enjoyable. Wulff & Konstali offers more variety to choose from, between a choice of five or seven. Coffee and juices come in small and large size, and they really meant it if you for a large. Good value on beverages. My partner and I ordered 2 sets of five dishes, with a juice and a cup of large oat latte. It cost 424 DKK/ around £48 which is quite acceptable in my opinion. Would definitely visit again!

Early friday in our own area and went for breakfast. It is busy and they do take reservations. Great selections of different dishes and more à la carte as well. Love being able to sit inside or outside. Although a lot of tourists - it is a cute place

Most of foods were very tasty. The scrambled eggs were very good, not dry and not gummy-like. The waffles and chia were very good! Especially liked the beetroot juice - it was not overly “healthy” tasting. It was refreshing and yummy. The dessert was a bit disappointing.

I won’t come back here again once I travel Copenhagen. I can understand the hype because of the aesthetic vibe but it is a bakery cafe. That means the bread should be good. However, for me the taste was not amazing. Especially the sausage roll was awful. I wasn’t able to have a bite because of the unappetizing flavor. I would rather go to another bakery for better brunch and save time traveling. Most of the reason people come over this place is probably because of pictures. I also came here because of pictures on instagram, Pinterest even though it is very far away from the city center. However, while I was having a brunch here, I heard a staff yell at a customer who was taking a picture in front of other customers. At that moment many people came with professional cameras but they didn’t say anything but only to that asian woman. One of the staff yelled “do not take a picture, respect the privacy”. When I checked her camera, it was a very old digital camera. I mean, I can understand that staffs are sensitive about privacy. Then why don’t you wear a mask or ask all people not to take a picture?

What a vibe. The place is gorgeous, everything fits perfectly, sooo aesthetic🫶 baked goods are delicious, especially blomster bun (definitely a must try), classic bun with cheese and butter, and berliner were also amazing! It’s really cool that their menu changes often. In my opinion focaccia could have more toppings on top, wouldn’t really eat it again. Filter coffee was exceptionally good, the best I’ve ever tried.

Lille Bakery is probably my favorite spot in Copenhagen. It’s tucked away in a quiet area, which makes it feel like a little escape from the busier parts of the city. I went there after a morning run and it was the perfect way to start the day. The pastries are excellent, the rolls are simple but really well done, the berliner is soft and indulgent, and the spandauer has that perfect balance of flaky pastry and sweet filling. I also tried the mushroom roll, which was surprisingly good and a bit different from the usual options. The coffee is from Prolog, so you know it’s going to be solid. Some of my friends lean more toward Andersen & Maillard, and honestly you can’t go wrong with either, but I’m a little biased toward Lille. It just has this calm, welcoming vibe that makes you want to slow down and enjoy the morning.

We came here for brunch and good vibes. The atmosphere is great like we have seen in others' photos. However, the brunch and bakery is very simple. Coffee is too light for us. The only thing we like is Egg on rye while sausage roll and brunch plate (bread, butter and jam) are so so.

I was alone and as much as I wanted to try everything I stuck to the famous “not cinnamon” bun. Where they used local herbs instead of cinnamon it was flaky buttery and soft and they had the olive oil pumpkin cake. Both were amazing I wish I was with more people to order more and try all. DONT GO ALONE to try all the yummy goods

We went with three friends, and we never thought we'd eat such a delicious cake. It was the best thing I've had in Copenhagen. The cake melted in your mouth, and the cream was delicious. It's definitely worth trying 🤝🏻

The mix of simplicity and style gives the place a truly unique, communal atmosphere that feels effortlessly warm and inviting. 🍞 The food is absolutely brilliant - every pastry and loaf tastes fresh, crafted with care, and full of flavour. ☕ The staff are fantastic - friendly, genuine, and clearly love what they do. 🌿 A perfect Copenhagen spot to slow down, share a table, and enjoy great bread in great company.

Every aspect of this place is underwhelming. We were so let down :( It seems there isn’t much care put into anything, with the exception of the barista, who made a lovely flat white. We didn’t feel very welcome and got our drinks after our food. A highlight was ad libitum water for free.

Why this restaurant has 4.2 ratings? Its straight 5/5. If you are in Copenhagen, must try this. Much better than many hyped places. Staff was friendly and hosted us like family. Bit on expensive side but worth every penny.

I have visited Cadence for brunch severL times. Just great, I can recommend. 🤩 Had crumpet with extra poached egg and avocado toast. Coffee is good too (only one minus they don’t have low fat milk, only full fat and alternative). To be seated inside during weekends usually the reservation is needed, outside is more flexible.

I have tried coming here before, but we found it full without reservation so decided to come for brunch by last day in Copenhagen. And OMG I had Turkish eggs and I think it was best thing I had in Copenhagen over a week stay - and needless to say everything else was already top notch. Service could be slightly more attentive, but again that’s something I experienced overall in here - I wouldn’t say any of places had high standard in that - staff is inattentive and just does the bare minimum in that sense. But overall amazing food experience

I spend a slow morning here as it was recommended by a friend. I had the classic BMO and a matcha latte. The latter I was quite disappointed with as I had high expectations for ceremonial grade matcha. Moments after I had my first sip it realised the brand of matcha they use. For that specific brand, I didn’t expect to pay 70kr for a cup - and wouldn’t recommend it. The bun with cheese (and the butter) was very delicious. 😋 I can definitely recommend that! The vibe of the place reminded me of cafes in Australia. It was a lovely reminder of my travels Down Under. I will try the flat white next time I visit. ☕️

A great spot with a true Danish vibe. The breakfast menu only offers three options, which is a bit limited, so keep that in mind. We tried the honey butter, which is simply bread with butter and honey — simple but very tasty, and the quality of the ingredients was excellent. The courtyard is lovely and relaxing, the staff are super friendly, and the coffee was delicious.

what a beautiful cafe!!! tucked away and hidden. it was one of the more empty and calm cafes I had visited. the perfect place to go to before or after visiting the king’s garden. I only got a matcha latte as I had already had breakfast and pastries earlier. It was definitely not the best matcha latte I had in cph but the ambiance of the place was awesome. They definitely paid attention to design in the interior The outdoor space was gorgeous. The staff was also extremely friendly!

It is a nice, cozy, and small place perfect for breakfast. I ordered an acai bowl called the Beast. It was delicious. But keep in mind that it is very sweet, in case you are not into that. I also ordered an Americano coffee, and it is one of the best I have tried in a while️. Nevertheless, I had a good experience there.

The place is very hip and cool, but expensive and with limited seating. Not good for big groups. The bowls we ordered were good, filling and so was the coffee. The music was also very loud which made it a bit difficult to talk to each other. The staff is helpful and friendly, but given the price we wouldnt visit again.

The store's petite with limited seating, but it's generally comfortable. A helpful employee recommended me a fruit bowl (What The Fruit) with some customizations, based on my tastes and allergies. The bowl was a little smaller and a bit colder than expected, but it was quite delicious and all the ingredients were fresh. I've also had an espresso, and paid 135 DKK (or €18.15 at the time). While the quality of the food and the beverage was excellent, I'd probably not buy it again at this price.

Very nice place for super food bowls, porridge and coffees. They have a great selection of toppings and many options for the superbowls as well. Prices are normal for Copenhagen. Staff is great! Highly recommended!

High prices. The "That's Nuts" acai bowl looks beautiful but not very flavoursome. The café is hidden away - nice and quiet. And, My boyfriend's "breakfast Bagel" was nice and tasty but with the bagel was tough to eat.

Great place!! If you love bowls and/or açai look no further this is the place to go!! Delicious mixes of natural ingredients! The cookies are really soft and home-made. The stablishment is cozy and the personnel really kind. Will repeat for sure!

Tried this spot after reading countless glowing reviews claiming it’s one of the best brunch places in town. Unfortunately, my experience didn’t live up to the hype. I ordered the eggs Benedict, which arrived beautifully plated — visually, it sets high expectations. But the flavor just didn’t follow through. The dish was overwhelmingly buttery, both in aroma and taste, which quickly became one-note. Everything else on the plate felt under-seasoned, almost like an afterthought. It’s one of those meals that photographs better than it eats. Not terrible by any means, but certainly not memorable. With so many great brunch options out there, I left wishing I had chosen differently.

Very quaint and cosy place. Smells very nice inside and avocado mash with a side of pulled pork was a smash hit. Looked beautifully and tasted even better. Perfect place for a brunch with girlfriends in the sunny weather.

This matcha was stated to be ”ceremonial grade” and cost 80 dkk. Real matcha does not look like this, it is supposed to be green, not brown… It only tasted milk, and I find it unacceptable to state something in the menu that does not represent what we got, and also charge such a high price. I was quite disappointed :( However, the staff and food is generally very nice!

We booked a month in advance with a credit card guarantee, but unfortunately, when we arrived, the waitress—who was quite unfriendly—seemed unaware of the reservation system. We waited an hour for our food, and by the time it arrived, the dish of the day was no longer available. We were served something else without being given any choice. The setting is beautiful and the food is refined, but sadly the service was extremely disappointing—unpleasant and very unprofessional.

This place is located within the courtyard of the historical cultural institution Kunsthal Charlottenborg. Fredrick Bille Brache, his first restaurant in Copenhagen. A cozy bar/dining area with a touch of art. The menu changes very often, even every day, and is great for sharing. They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner, giving different vibes for each meal. It's a trendy and popular sport, so I'd recommend making a reservation in advance. Often events as jazz, fashion week and lot's more!

i would have skipped, no point in going here. they offered every other table water except ours. totally forgot our sourdough and then when we asked for it, charged us for an extra one. all servers avoided eye contact but was also grilling us down at the same time. not worth at all. food was okay at best, and they slammed the POS at me. run the other way.

What should have been a nice evening out with my husband turned into one of the most frustrating restaurant experiences we've ever had at Apollo Bar. We walked in and were seated at a table - no mention whatsoever about needing reservations. We sat there for a painful 20 minutes watching a waitress repeatedly look our way and deliberately ignore us. When she finally bothered to come over, instead of taking our order, she had the audacity to ask if we had reservations. No apology for the wait, no explanation about their policy - just a cold question. When we explained that nobody told us about reservations when we entered, she curtly told us to either stand outside and wait or move to the garden area. Feeling embarrassed and frustrated, we chose the garden hoping to salvage what was left of our evening. That was a mistake. We spent another 30 minutes sitting outside, completely abandoned. Not a single staff member came to check on us or take our order. We felt invisible and utterly disrespected. We finally gave up and left without ordering anything. The staff's unprofessional attitude and complete disregard for basic customer service standards is unacceptable. Save yourself the disappointment and go literally anywhere else. Apollo Bar clearly doesn't value their customers. Never returning.

Went there last night with a few doubts. You know, one of those influencer spots that could’ve gone either way. Unpretentious food, perfectly executed. Simple ingredients, sharp cooking, spot-on balance. No fancy plating, no overhyped storytelling. Just confident, effortless cooking that actually delivers. The space is beautiful, with warm lighting, a laid-back vibe, and service that’s chill but totally on point. It’s exactly what modern dining should feel like in 2025: casual, precise, and quietly confident. Big shoutout to the waiter learning French for the great wine tips, and to the whole team, front and back.

I was there for breakfast with the family. On the positive note. The food was fantastic. I cannot fault the food in any way. The toast with mascarpone cheese and blueberry jam and the omelet burger were delicious. The location is cosy and private. Unfortunately, the service was extremely slow. On many occasion, the waitresses were busy talking to each other to notice customers waiting for attention. The restaurant was not even half full at that point. Much room for improvement here. I would recommend this restaurant for the food and location. But only, and only if you are not in a rush or can wait for a long time service and for the delicious food.

This bakery is absolutely incredible - we tried 4 items and each one was its own distinct delight. ~ 10 seats inside and there will be a line, wait in it - you would be a fool to do otherwise. Great coffee, lovely staff who were happy to describe the items in English, despite the busyness. We came for the cardamom bun, which was everything we hoped for, but the raspberry & poppyseed pastries were even better! Got back in line for a pumpkin seeded roll - snacked on it all day - heaven!

Finally got to try this bakery, the oldest in Copenhagen! We went by on an afternoon, so unfortunately a lot of products were already sold out, but still got the chance to try their cinnamon roll (still warm!) and a couple of pastries (the one in the picture is with pistacchio). Really nice texture, especially the cinnamon roll, not too dry, chewy and moist, really nice! They have just a couple of seats and tables, might get crowded very soon, also no “proper” cups for coffees, just to go paper cups, be aware. Also congratulations on the Børsen Gazelle ･ᴗ･

It’s funny — before coming to Copenhagen we heard about 2–3 popular bakeries, but we had never seen this one mentioned anywhere. We actually found it by chance while passing by, decided to step in, and ended up coming back every single day after that :) We tried almost all of the pastries you see in my photos, and every single one was delicious. As a pistachio lover, I was blown away by the pistachio pastry — the best I’ve had since Italy. Honestly, the big-name bakeries with multiple branches in Copenhagen don’t compare to this place. A true hidden gem!

Overall: best pastries I've had in Copenhagen. The pastries were so tasty, I had to go a second time! Unfortunately my almond croissant on the second time was burnt but all the other pastries were good. The space is tight so it's not much of a sit down place and I personally was not a fan of the latte (not much flavour in the coffee).

I tried the cinnamon roll and the Danish pastry, and they were so delicious that I went back again on Wednesday morning. There was almost no wait during my first visit, but the second time I waited about 20–30 minutes. Everything was great — especially the Danish pastry, which I highly recommend!

One of the best bakeries I've eaten from. The pastries are divine. Tried their crispy cinnamon rolls, sausage roll, salami pizza, cardamom bun, one of the croissants with almonds on top chai latte and espresso.

The pistachio and chocolate croissant is hands down my favorite pastry from here. There's usually a little bit of a line, but that depends on what time you go. The staff is always so friendly and welcoming. There isn’t much seating inside, so it’s mostly takeaway, but I recommend enjoying your treats in Ørstedparken. Also, heads-up: the almond croissant I had was a little dry and burnt, so I’d probably skip that one.

We had the combo, both vegetarian and with meat. 🌮 The vegetarian one had only 3 tacos of the same kind, we would have preferred some variety. The meat ones were good, but a little dry. Overall they were tasty and the little terrace outside was cute in the sun. 🌞

I had high expectations and I'm happy I did try this place before leaving Copenhagen, but I would rate it as nice, very good, but not excellent. Flavours are there but I must admit I expected a bit of more juiciness, despite everything is prepared and combined in front of you. Service is good, people working there are smiling and quick, the drinks are nice. The atmosphere is pleasant, I like the meatpacking district as you see a lot going on, but when you are at your table you don't feel the crowd.

We had a delicious dinner here a few nights ago. As a Californian I’m picky and have high standards for Mexican food and this was delicious. I had a veggie, beef and el pastor taco platter and they were all good but the el pastor is the best. The margarita was fresh and chips, guacamole and salsa were well seasoned. The churro was fresh and the ambience was very welcoming. I highly recommend this restaurant!

AUTHENTIC Mexican food in Copenhagen was something I really wasn't expecting. This place is sensational and in such a nice area! Visit on a beautiful day so you can sit outside to enjoy your food or get it to go as space is pretty limited. Not a strike against them, by any means, though, as it's still well worth the trip!

My husband and I came two days in a row and tried 8 different items across our visits— the cardamom bun, milk bread, seeded rye roll (with butter and cheese), pear frangepane, vanilla bun, almond pastry, princess cake, apple tart with vanilla cream. My top picks were the cardamom bun, frangepane, and the vanilla bun. However, I don’t think there are any bad options here. Everything was top quality. One of the best bakeries I’ve ever been to. Definitely worth a visit (or a few)!

What a bakery! Lovely place in Osterbro, 10'~15' by bike from the city center. You can takeout or eat on one of the outdoor tables near the entrance. Probably the best bakery I've ever been to. The apple tart is really outstanding if you're lucky enough to find it. A must visit if you're a foodie in CPH! Visited in Sep. '25.

Visited around 1 pm on a weekday. There was quite a long line reaching out to the street, and I waited about 30 minutes. There were a few empty outdoor tables, so you can grab a seat while waiting in line. I bought the cardamom roll, almond croissant, and milk bun — all were delicious, but a bit too sweet for my taste.

Very rare that the food actually lives up the level virality and hype that this bakery has received! The cardamom bun easily exceeds the expectations! So delicious! It’s baked consistently throughout the day so it’s always fresh no matter when you get it. What makes delicious is that there is cardamom and syrup laced in inside each crevice of the knot without being too sweet at all. It’s incredibly moist. It’s kept its price consistent over the years even though there’s lines all day! Absolutely a world class bakery Tip: visit in the afternoon to avoid the large queues. The best bakery in Copenhagen and this is coming from someone who doesn't have sweet tooth. 100% get the cardamom bun otherwise you'll regret leaving without it. There is a cute park close by with benches, would recommend sitting there instead of trying to find space in their small front porch.

The hype is real. One of the longest lines I've seen and been in to get into a bakery in a while. I got the brioche bun that came with apples. It was amazing. Blew me away. I also got a small box of shortbread cookies to go and a milk bun. Worth waiting line or getting up extra early and beating the crowds. Nice neighborhood to walk around afterwards. The new port neighborhood is down the street from this bakery.

I had the savoury waffle, blue cheese scone and an iced filter coffee. Everything tasted great, I’m still thinking about that scone☺️ The staff was nice and friendly, happy to speak English, which I appreciated. Would definitely come back!

Sooo good, we went back for more. In fact, it’s one of the only spots that we visited TWICE on our trip to Copenhagen. I can safely guarantee that we’ll be dreaming of our pastries & drinks for years to come. Highly recommend.

This spot is a must for danish brunch and lunch. The menu is simple, vegetarian and very delicious. The atmosphere is cozy and a bit hectic. The queue can last for around 15 minutes outside of the café. But it is definitely worth the wait. Some long tables are meant to be shared among customers, so if you don't like the idea of sitting right next to a stranger then this place might not be for you. I would recommend to get a warm apple juice with cinnamon, it is very comforting. Right inside the café there is a design shop that sells items used in the decoration of the café!

There is nothing to dislike about this place (except maybe the prices)! I love that it pairs with the Frama design store where they even sell the cups and plates the restaurant uses. I absolutely love the vibes in here. I would have stayed all day if possible! I ordered the savory waffle and the danish. The filtered coffee was really good too! If you only go to one cafe while you’re in town, make it this place.

Waited 45 minutes which was not worth what we got in the end. Even though we finally got a table we were then told to go to the counter and place our order which altogether was another long wait. The bread was great but cheese was dried out and pastries not as good as other places otherwise meals were very simple. I gave it the 3 stars for the ambiance and staff who were very sweet despite all the people queuing up.

Surprisingly nice environment to enjoy a coffee. The coffee was not as good as your would expect given the high Google rating. Likely the visual effect of the floral decorations in the inner courtyard of the building is what won people over and also made the cafe visit unique.

Amazing coffee & lovely inner yard, tucked away from the busy shopping street. Some feedback on the sourdough bun though - extremely scarce on the cheese, almost non-existent. The slice is so light that you barely see it 😅 Hopefully an isolated issue. Still highly recommended for the coffee quality.

We have seen a very positive reviews of Coffee Collective, so when we arrived in Copenhagen, this was one of the first destination for us. Shop looks really good and is located in the centre of Copenhagen. It has many seats inside and outside. It can be really busy and we were waiting for our latte around 15 minutes. Based on the reviews and hype, I was expecting something more. Coffee is OK/average but nothing above that really.

Very busy, but friendly staff. My pour over was not as good as I had expectated (it might have taken longer than needed as the baristas were multi-tasking). But I know their beans are very, very good (previous purchase)! Must visit if you are into specialty coffees!

Very nice service, good atmosphere and amazing coffee! Me and my boyfriend get cappuccino and iced latte. The cappuccino was really wonderful (10/10!!) but ice latte it was just good (maybe like 7.5/10) I do recommend this place! Must have on the list if you visit and want good coffee in Copenhagen! 🥰

Gaarden and Garden offered the best dinner we had during our time in Copenhagen. The wait to be seated was longer than expected, and the only available table was right next to the street, which was not ideal. Unfortunately, our drinks were forgotten about, which was a bit disappointing. That said, the food absolutely made up for it. Every dish was beautifully prepared, full of flavor, and clearly made with care. The setting, especially the garden area, is charming and full of character. Despite a few bumps in service, the meal itself was unforgettable and well worth the visit.

Visited for an afternoon drink on a sunny afternoon ( Tuesday). The people were very nice and the atmosphere was chill. I really liked the yellow bicycle cocktail - if I remember the name correctly

Gaarden og Gaden provides excellent food in an unpretentious setting. The set menu is filling, delicious, and fairly inexpensive (below 400 DKK for five courses). I also ordered oysters and calf's brain from the alacarte, as I wanted to try it. I was absolutely stuffed afterwards! To go with the food, there's an extensive wine menu, a selection of excellent cocktails (I'd recommend the negroni), and also various beers. Note that the place gets extremely busy on sunny days, as there's benches on the pavement with sun until late.

I used to love this place but the past two times I’ve been in it’s been so off. The first time service took ages, the counter was covered in tea-towels that were in the middle of being folded (it was about five in the evening) and the staff definitely seemed pissed off that they had to stop their conversation and serve. Gave it another shot last week to sit in the sunshine. This time there were no staff at all, eventually the chef came over and resentfully poured a Guinness all in one go, when I said he was supposed to let it settle he said “so what - it’s the same volume at the end”. There was also a giant bag of olives just like… open on the counter in the warm sun spot, on their own. Sad to miss a good spot for oysters and a glass of vino - but like, the vibes are off.

went there for dinner (2 adults, 2 kids), using a tipster voucher. the experience was subpar, at best. there are 2 rooms - we were not in the one with the bar , but in the small adjacent room. there the atmosphere is made up of poor lighting (dimmed ceiling lights and candles ) which is both too much light and too little light at the same time; and 2000s greatest hits music , a little bit too loud. The service is in the same theme - a bit too much and too little at the same time… hovering the table, not really asking the right questions, not really clearing the table good either ( we were left with no cutlery as a plate of food was served at some point…) the timing is also off - so much so that you have a chance to analyze the menu and the ingredient choices and the quality of the cooked food a bit too much . Like you realize quite soon that the sourdough bread slices are quite disproportionately big compared to the kale (not cabbage as the menu says) croquettes or the cold 2 octopus tentacle pieces per person… which would perhaps be fine, if not followed by 2 small leeks and some equally small jerusalem artichokes. as for the main dish, the risotto with mussels … well that takes the cake and drives this past the maryland point ( past the point at which something is so bad it becomes good again). the risotto was watery, undercooked overwhelmed by an almost pungent parmesan and with 4 very small mussels that didn’t really taste of anything. reading the menu you could be led to believe that there is a plethora of flavors waiting for you… but the achievement here is that even with such ingredient variety, everything was bland or tasteless. a pleasant sure was the fact that a baby high chair was available, although that is the only amenity in terms of bringing a baby along for dinner . in the same theme of “too much and too little at the same time”, the place has a baby chair, but no changing station or anything baby-friendly on the food or drink menu. speaking of drinks - the glasses were filled to the brim with acceptable content. not enough to make up for the rest of the experience or justify the price . honestly, i cannot understand where the praise and popularity for this place is coming from 🤷‍♀️

The food was of great quality - but the selection was poor. We went for brunch, and ended up having charcuterie and a sandwich. It tasted great, but it wasn't exactly what I expected out of brunch. Maybe a bit too hipster for me.

This is a great place for breakfast and coffee. We had two variations of waffles and both tasted wonderfully. The interior is nice and as a bonus there's a small selection of Scandinavian magazines. the only set back - our waitress was not quite welcoming...

Breakfast is not very healthy. Breakfast with chicken is too fried. Scrambled eggs are terrible, taste was kind of burned oil. Sausage could be better, it was too fried and spicy. But we liked toasts and syrup.

American style breakfast with waffles and fried chicken seems to be the main attraction next to the fact that they carry beer from the Mikkeller concern. Service was a little slow, even if it was not very busy. The staff was friendly, but some seemed bothered by my lack of knowledge about the placement of self service condiments and spices. Other than that the food was OK, but I felt it was overly expensive for a piece of chicken and a waffle that was clearly overcooked. They also only had a single toilet to serve upwards of 50 people inside with at least that many seats set up outside, which meant we were already queueing up to use it.

O_M_G.. The best place for breakfast/brunch EVER! Short, delicious menu with a twist, most perfectly executed! All dishes are a true feast to your eyes and will blow your taste buds away.. Plus you get great coffee or beer to go with the amazing food.

Whoever thought that putting cheese sauce and syrup on fried chicken and waffles...is a mad genius. My wife had the waffles and eggs and that was also incredible. The staff is very kind and accommodating. Also they have free wifi!

This beer is highly recommended by a friend, saying like the must-try beer at Copenhagen. Of course turn out it’s good, what more surprise is we order a non alcohol beer which taste and texture exactly like a beer, the packing is cute too. That’s what really impressed me.

I tracked this place down as the original Mikkeller bar so it was special just for that as I enjoy their beer. Very small place just below street level. Hygge for sure. I was alone so bit awkward on my own but all felt comfortable and welcoming. 20 beer options. I tried all three IPAs - nice but not my favourites. But there is something for all tastes

This place is none other than the legendary gathering spot for beer lovers — famous not just locally, but globally within the craft beer scene. Many people travel to Copenhagen every year just to attend the MBCC festival hosted by this brand.🍻🌍 The drinkers here are truly unstoppable — come rain or shine, they’ll brave the weather and sit outdoors just to enjoy a pint, since indoor seating is very limited. Some past reviews even mentioned there being “introvert-only seats”… Excuse me? Have you ever seen an introverted drunk? Once the drinks kick in, they’re dying to chat up anyone nearby! 🤣 There’s no such thing as an “i-person” (introvert) here — strangers quickly find something in common over a pint. The bar offers a wide variety of beer styles: fruity, sour, bitter, stouts, lagers, wheat beers, red ales, IPAs — you name it. For anyone who used to think beer only meant Carlsberg, this place will open a whole new world. 🍺🌈 The staff at the counter are super professional. If it’s your first visit, they’ll happily recommend beers based on your preferences. And for non-drinkers, it’s still worth visiting just to soak in the local vibe. If you’re the type who enjoys striking up a conversation the moment you sit down with a drink, this place is heaven. Just be warned — the ambient noise here is definitely on the high side. 🔊

It's a tradition for me to come here every time I visit Copenhagen! The beer is absolutely phenomenal! I love trying a few different brews every time I stop by. Highly recommended for craft beer enthusiasts. Mikkeller is a leader in the craft beer world!

After eating at the Indian restaurant at the end of the street, which was great, by the way I was looking for something to drink. Mikkeller was just a short walk away, so I decided to give it a try, even though it was almost closing time. The bartender warmly welcomed us and found us the last available table. The bar is small and cozy, located in a basement lit by candlelight, creating a great atmosphere. They offer a wide selection of beers, and the bartender helped me choose a few to taste. It’s not far from the city center, and I highly recommend visiting. I’m not sure if they take reservations, but it’s probably a good idea to call ahead to make sure they have a spot for you.

Visited on a rainy Sunday afternoon and spent a few hours drinking beer and reading my book. Beautiful space, relaxing atmosphere, friendly staff, and a great place to get fun Mikkeller merch.

Very busy but inviting cafe. We enjoyed brunch here, sitting outside enjoying the sun. The service was lovely and very friendly. The food and drinks were delivered quickly, even though it was really busy. The food was hot, tasty and delicious! Would definitely go back.

Super friendly staff in a cute cafe and absolutely delicious breakfast sandwiche! We stopped by for breakfast before heading out for a day. The place was very busy when we arrived around 10 am on Saturday. There was about 10 minutes wait for the table. After we got the table, we ordered at the counter. The coffee was very quick and tasty. My partner had a bowl of museli and I had gone with the secret menu, which was a dirty croissant sandwich and that was absolutely delicious! They have outdoor seating, indoor seating, and seem to be a little more seating downstairs through the Blue Nate as well.

What a cozy cafe! I went alone but never felt lonely because the atmosphere was so warm and welcoming. The breakfast was amazing too. A truly good place with good people. I’d love to visit again for sure. Highly recommend this place.

My friend and I went for a quick lunch and coffee. We entered this little cozy place, hidden away on a side street from Stroget,. As soon as we got there, we were greeted by the host with a smile. We placed our orders. My friend got a tuna salad sandwich and I got a black bean hummus sandwich. Since I don’t like raw tomatoes, the host was so nice to ask me if I wanted some mozzarella cheese instead. No extra cost. My friend got a bit curious about the black bean hummus, so the host offered us a little taste. We could choose between a regular and a dark, full grain bun. Homemade, of course. Also we both had regular coffee, one with milk. An interesting indoor decoration and a great ambience. Definitely not the last we will visit the Next Door Café.

Best breakfast place I have been to in a long while! Very friendly people. Incredible vibe. You may have to / may have the pleasure to sit next to some strangers. We loved it.

If you like the idea of feeling like you've just run into old friends the moment you walk into a breakfast/coffee spot for the first time, then NEXT DOOR CAFE is for you. If you like the idea that they'll remember you and your order on your 2nd and 3rd visit, then NEXT DOOR CAFE is for you. The food is delicious (meuslix yogurt fruit bowl) and the coffee is just what you'd expect from a local hangout where it seems every single person in the neighborhood is there at some point during your breakfast. The owners and staff are cool, hip, grounded and just overall very nice, warm, genuine people. MUST VISIT.

What do you do when you meet with friends abroad ✈️? You won't believe it, but in our case, we mainly eat... 😅 I know some would only visit, go to museums, do cultural activities, but our lives are paced by our meals. 🤷 So, even for breakfast, we need a place where we can comfortably sit and talk, and a bakery 🥐 usually isn't enough. In Copenhagen 🇩🇰, I found on maps a spot called Next Door Cafe. And I picked it, not for its atmosphere (I'll talk about that later), but for the menu. It basically is the only spot that I found more or less affordable for brunch. In fact, DKK90 for a combo of pancakes 🥞, eggs 🍳 and bacon🥓 is almost cheap in CPH. Without being the best ever, the food was more than decent (especially the bacon was perfectly cooked to my taste), even though my eggs were overcooked. As I mentioned, I chose the place for the prices and the ratings on Maps, not for the decor, which I found... let's say... not fit for breakfast and more for a night party. 😅 Had I been alone with my family, not sure I would have enjoyed it, but with such a group of friends, that was almost funny. 😘 The service was good and the staff was laid back. The only hiccup was that we had to wait for a table as the place does not allow booking (at least online). In terms of quality / price ratio (at least), I'm convinced we found the best place for breakfast in CPH. 👍 Quality & taste: 7/10 Quantities: 8/10 Atmosphere: 7/10 Originality: 6/10 Ratio price / quality: 10/10 Service: 10/10 How I felt afterwards: 9/10

Kalaset Cafe For a leisurely brunch, fuel for a ramble in the city, dinner with friends & family, or a drink for the night ahead... it’s own draft beer-kalaset- nice! Italian dishes- Fantastic taste ❤️. A bit noisy, if there are many guesses.

Banana bread price insane!! We asked if they have sweet things and they said pancakes and banana bread. We paid 95kr for 1 banana bread (see picture)!!! It is just insane...they didn't say that there were a kind of blueberries compote on top and walnuts. I didn't like it that much (it is my taste though) but the price is definitely a shame. Despite that the place is lovely, maybe for lunch or dinner it is worth it.

Although this wasn't my favourite of the places we had breakfast at the majority did enjoy it and the staff where friendly and helpful.

I ordered Eggs Benny (Eggs Benedict) It looked as good as it tasted. Perfectly cooked eggs on homemade Brioche- eggs slightly runny in the middle, resring on ham slices, decorated with fresh herbs, tasty sauce and small tomatoes in various colors. It looked so good I forgot to take a photo and dug right in! I was greeted kindly and served quickly. I'll be back soon!

Ordered:- 1. Brunch Burger 2. Banana & Chocolate Pancakes Everything look delicious but taste normal. I love the crispy buns of the burger but the patty and sauce didn't stand out. Pancakes were great at first bite but later it turns soggy and sticky. The place and vibe is nice in the summer though.

Brilliant toasts, and a required eating for anyone visiting Copenhagen. I recommend the herring and the plaice. The herring has the right amount of pickling to cut against the nutty bread. The topping is salty and fatty to add more depth, with the greens fresh enough to round out the dish with a vegetal wrap. But the plaice is even better. A relatively thick fillet, lightly fried, with a lovely mayo on top, this I could eat a bunch of. The fish is so so good, and because of the lightness of the breading, the underlying rye bread is still the right base. Other fried fish is done on light brioche breads, but this fish is better with the nutty rye. The dressing on this is also excellent and savory. Highly, highly recommend. I will try to go back every year I'm in Copenhagen. I also recommend trying to order and eat indoors as the building provides shade from the sun, making the outdoor seating area a bit chilly. However, if you sit outdoors you don't have to go inside as you can order from QR codes. So outdoors may be better if you're impatient.

The food was exceptionally tasty! The prawn with the sourdough bread was my favourite! They do very cute takeaway boxes which is perfect for a picnic and their coffee is very good too. Very clean and cozy place.

I can recommend the herring, and perhaps other cold options. I think the plaice with shrimp salad is overpriced for what it offers. This one piece was 165 dkk (almost £20 a piece..). Basically tastes like fried fish with mayo-based sauce. Not bad but def not worth £20 even for cph prices.

One of our favourite meals in Copenhagen! The smorrebrods were super delicious and the menu was smaller which we appreciated cause it made selecting a lot easier. Everything we tried were worth it and the prices were actually not too bad compared to places we’ve tried. The space is small and don’t have a ton of tables but highly recommend!

We came at around 4pm on Sunday so the inside was not occupied at all. We came as we had watched Somebody Feed Phil and I really wanted to try the Smorebrpd. Honestly it’s sooooooo good. We had three veggie options (2 cold, one warm) and two fish options (both cold). My husband was really impressed with his fish options and also loved my veggie options. We also had the snaps tastings. We walked out really full and really happy to have tried this place and for sure, we know we can’t get better than this (each one was different, flavourful, had great texture). For sure I would revisit next time I’m back in CPH.

Got the beef tartare, just out of this world ❤️❤️❤️ Too bad I only got 1 (bcs I will have a proper dinner after, and just wanna give it a try) but defo will be back to try other ones (esp the herring one). Their sister resto got a michelin star, so I got a rly high expectation (and did not disappoint) One of the best dishes I have in Copenhagen

Run, don’t walk to eat the most delicious smørrebrøds ! I discovered this gem last year thanks to the Copenhagen episode of Somebody Feed Phil on Netflix and I knew I had to go back when I visited again a few weeks ago. This time, I had to go back twice as I absolutely fell in love with the beef tartar, rhubarb compote and cream cheese mousse smørrebrød! 11/10, no notes! I also tried the curried herring (deliciousssss), the roast beef (yummy) and the butter-fried plaice and shrimp salad. Always a great meal for each of my 3 visits and I will undeniably be back next time I’m in Copenhagen. Highly recommend.

The food colors were so beautiful, and the atmosphere was really nice — not too noisy at all. I could never come on weekends because it’s always crowded, but when I visited on Wednesday afternoon, there were only about 6–7 people. I love vegan restaurants, and the matcha latte here wasn’t the usual sweet one we know — it was mild and not too sweet, with a warm, comforting taste and a lot of foam. I wanted to try the matcha ball, but I ordered the blue one because it looked so pretty. I’ll try the matcha one next time!

I got the “double” pancakes, and though they were good, they weren’t anything special. The portion size is on the smaller side (the pancakes are quite small) and the price is, in my opinion, a tad elevated for what is worth. All in all, a nice spot to go to if you’re vegan/plant based, but nothing to write home about I’m afraid

Vi ordered the green burger with glutenfree bun and the green bowl. The bun was amazing and so was everything else. The only minus point was that the salad with the burger was already quite brown so probably 1 - 2 days old. However we still really enjoyed the meals. Also had three little cakes after which were all equally delicious. When in Copenhagen, do not miss the place!

Came here for a quick brunch before heading to the airport. Really enjoyed the food and smoothies I got here especially the mini raw cake bites. I thought the pricing was fair for the type of food it was and the service was fast and good. Interior is super modern and clean so I really enjoyed the overall experience and would recommend to anyone looking for a good healthfood/bowl place in the city center!

Went there for brunch, ended up being disappointed.. The eggs were too raw, the waffle was paper thin, the banana bread tasted weird and the location of the table was awful. Every time the door was opened we were freezing.. 🥶The food is way overpriced for what you get in quality. The staff was smiling and friendly though. But anyway, I would definitely not go there again..

Great little spot to have brunch or breakfast. Go early to beat the crowds, and weekdays are a lot easier than weekends. We got there around 9AM and easily got a table, but by the time we left the place was getting packed. Tables are communal so be prepared to share. The signature egg toast was great, and the waffles were also pretty and delicious. The service was a little slow (looked like only 2-3 people were taking orders and preparing food and drinks), but our server was very nice and courteous.

Really nice place to have coffee and breakfast. Many options for breakfast with eggs on bread, salmon, avocado, acai bowls, etc. Be aware that the restaurant suggests 2-3 dishes per person, and it might be very pricey for just a breakfast. Staff is excellent and the restaurant is really nice decorated. I would recommend it!

Will gladly come back. Saturday morning around 10 wasn’t overcrowded. We found a table and was served within 15 minutes. You order and pay at the bar. Lovely menu with a lot of good options. Not too expensive and definitely worth the money. Go with the “stempelkanne” (French press) if you like coffee with refills!

Visited in Sep. '25. Modern location, great service, delicious food and cocktails. I had previously visited 7 years ago and had a "more Mexican" memory (more unique dishes, incl. chicharron) but still happy to give 5*, believing they simply had to evolve their menu.

I had a fantastic dining experience at Sanchez. The food was outstanding — every dish was packed with flavor, beautifully presented, and clearly made with high-quality ingredients. The atmosphere was vibrant yet relaxed, making it the perfect spot to enjoy an evening out. On top of that, the service was excellent — the staff were not only friendly and welcoming but also attentive without being intrusive, which made the whole experience feel extra special. Overall, Sanchez really delivers on all fronts: great food, great vibe, and great people. Highly recommended!

Amazing food very well rounded traditional mexican flavours with a twist. The chocolate mousse and fish were both out of this world! Also kind service and excellent cocktails matching any cocktail bar in the city.

JUL2025: high end Mexican restaurant in a casual modern setting; the menu creates a great association of tastes and texture - it felt like discovering a new and very refined Mexican cuisine. Not cheap but worth it. Must try they house margarita - and the chocolate mousse dessert (this was a mind opening experience).

A Tucsonan has serious hesitations eating Mexican food anywhere outside of Tucson or Mexico, maybe California. I read the reviews and the history of Sanchez and decided I needed to see if my misgivings about Mexican food in Copenhagen could be dispelled. Dispelled they were. The tortillas brought me home in an instant, even a little misty eyed, in their authenticity. Every course was thoughtful and exquisite in its own right. A Michelada oyster paired with a corn “dirty and briny” martini were the perfect way to whet my whistle and pique my interest. The beauty in the simplicity of the tomato tostada had me marveling. I have a newfound love for pineapple butter, the pineapple component of the monkfish cheeks pastor taco, and would have licked the little bowl clean had it been socially acceptable. The chocolate mousse paired with the coffee cocktail might be something I dream about for the rest of my days. The depth, the complexity, the pure divinity actually brought me to tears. I dabbed the corners of my eyes fearing the chefs would see me crying over their chocolate, resisting the urge to jump across the counter into the kitchen and hug them in gratitude. It is a joy to experience the craft of people who love what they do and excel in it.

The famous Copenhagen porridge chain, for breakfast, lunch and dinner if you so desire. Sadly, the porridge is no longer gluten free, which was one of major attractions for us, but fortunately there were a few other non-porridge GF options which hit the spot for breakfast.

It's such a pleasure to eat at this place! Every dish is made with fresh, healthy ingredients without sacrificing flavor. You can really taste the quality of the products they use. The atmosphere is lovely, always clean and well-maintained. The staff is very welcoming and makes you feel right at home. And the coffee... it's simply perfect! Aromatic and full of flavor. I highly recommend it!

Open kitchen bar seating. I ordered the mushroom risotto for £11, the portion was very good and I was pleasantly surprised! However it was too salty so I did struggle to finish, it was tasty though just had to dial down on the salt. Not exactly Danish cuisine but this place was an affordable option, finally.

I came for the porridge. It wasn’t spectacular or hot, but it was tasty and I appreciated being able to customize the toppings. Great ambiance (credit goes to the marketplace it is a part of), but the caveat of this location is limited seating (not a bad thing—just know it is highly likely you’ll need to take your food with you).

Super delicious and healthy food & drinks, also you can have a seat in front of the shop at Torvehallerne. It is a good address to try matcha latte or chai latte as well but I would defined recommend you to try one of the bowls. It is quite tasty!

You can start your day with a perfectly cooked porridge. Well balanced salt and creamy texture match the fruits or nuts. Highly recommend!

We preferred to eat oatmeal and waffles. The waffles had a strong egg smell, which was a bit unpleasant, but the toppings were really delicious.

Our Danish friend brought us here for upscale yet traditional Smørrebrød and we were very pleased! There was a wide variety of options, the coffee was good, and we enjoyed everything we ate.

What a great bar, serving excellent meals with amazing background music, from Gun Club, Tom Verlaine, Iggy Pop and more… We were looking for a place to have dinner in a bar that wasn’t touristy, and we found this excellent spot with perfect service and, as already mentioned, truly excellent food. Highly recommended.

This place was recommended and was attended by locals. The photos of the place and the actual place are out of date. It looked like an old pub. There were only 2 waiters serving the whole place and it looked like a total mess. The drinks order was wrong and we had to send it back 3 times. The simple food such as eggs royal took 30min to be prepared. It wasnt to the highest quality. The waitress was very slow and paid no attention to customers. One of the worst customer service seen in Copenhagen. I wouldnt recommend having breakfast there

Oddly enough, you have to seat yourself first, and then order your meal. As such, the service is okay compared to other places, and the portions are quite small, but it’s absolutely delicious. I had the avocado mouse bread which was fantastic!!!

This is the cosiest and the cutest local bar! We had the the wildflower IPA and shared the cod fish with the tartar sauce which was pretty good. Food and the drinks are super nice overall! Cannot wait to go back!

The poached eggs were amazing. The food and coffees were great. However, there are two drawbacks: the service and the beverages. We should have gone inside the restaurant to pay and there were no one to bring it to us. The finished the orange juice and there were not so many options on the menu! We ended up ordering bottled sangria for breakfast!!’

Lovely little place for breakfast and a coffee. Very close to our hotel. Packed out with locals and visitors alike. It’s quite small so worth checking if they have a seat before you order if you want to eat in. I got the breakfast plate and added an egg on. The egg was a little less runny than I’d like but all in all, was good and great value. Perfect breakfast before a big day of sight seeing in the Copenhagen autumn (rain).

Update: FOREIGNERS ARE CHARGED HIGHER PRICES. If you pay with a non-Danish bank card, you'll be charged 3.75% extra. Unacceptable discrimination! Further troubling - The café requires you to pay to use the toilet ("toilet for paying customers only"). We've been coming here regularly, but we can't condone such a policy. Allowing people to use the toilet is a basic human courtesy! Twenty years ago, Risteriet brought quality coffee to Denmark, and they've kept doing so since. This humble coffee shop, located in the cozy basement in a gritty neighborhood near the central train station, features some of the best American coffee beans this side of the Atlantic. The offerings are diverse, including beans from Honduras, Peru, Colombia, and elsewhere on the continent. We appreciate that they keep prices reasonable, making good coffee affordable to the masses (about €3/$3/DKK 20 per 100g/3.5oz of roasted beans). And since the beans are loose, you can buy as little as 25 g, just to start. While the quality of the baristas is mixed (and so is their friendliness), the company offers home delivery service, which brings delicious beans to those who can't travel to their coffee shop in Copenhagen. Keep up the good work!

Went here because it was near my hotel. Did not expect to have the best chocolate croissant I've had in years, maybe ever. Filling was just right, and texture was perfect. Every pain au chocolate I've had since is now compared to this one and none have beaten it yet.

This is the best coffee shop in Copenhagen. The people are very nice and the coffee even better. I would recommend the chai latte. Will certainly come back if I would ever visit again :)

My husband and I have been on the hunt for a decent hot chocolate in Copenhagen...and we have been so disappointed way too often. So many places offering hot chocolate for 50 krones when it was no less than just warmed up milk with barely any chocolate in it. Im from the states, and never imagined Copenhagen, of all regions, could so consistently make hot chocolate horrible...until we came here. We were delightfully surprised. For much less, at 30 krones, their hot chocolate is the best I've had in Copenhagen. Their was enough chocolate finally, and it was blended extremely well. A lot of other places poorly blended their chocolate or their brand of chocolate settled its way to the bottom of the milk before I could even touch my lips to the cup. I also love the giant cup. Its really cozy inside as well as some outside sitting area. Definitely recommend this place. You do not sacrifice your taste buds for price here. ❤️

If you are looking for a place to have a good breakfast at a relatively affordable price this is it! Despite the time you wait for your food (we went on saturday morning and waited around half an hour), the food you eat pays off, the homemade bread is soooo tasty! We ordered the morning plate and paid around 100DKK and it included a small coffee. They also have oat milk or lactose free milk for the ones who need it. The place is neat and the service is lovely as well.

I found this place in the Google map and tried the Ice latte w Caramel syrup, it was ok. 20dkk for a bottle of water, the price I think reasonable. The place is cozy and crowded when I came.

Probably the best avocado toast I ever tasted. Perfect combination of flavours and textures…great cappuccino. Everything really enjoyable and the vintage-alike interior just adds to authenticity. Also - nice people working there 💛

This is a lovely local rustic cafe with a great basic breakfast and lunch menu. They offer gluten free bread for the smashed avocado but not the ham and Gruyère cheese toastie. They have the best tasting coffee and hot chocolate we’ve ever had. The smashed avocado was absolutely amazing and we all loved it.

Fun and supportive place. The baristas were training each other on how to pour latte art and one of the younger ones did it for the first time. Loved seeing the daily flow of this coffee shop. Good coffee mans good food. I had some coffee spilled on me by a barista, but promptly cleaned up.

Good selection of food on offer from seven different restaurants. You can pick from a mid of all, as long as you don’t mind them coming at different times (we didn’t mind this at all). Good selection of wines - available by glass and bottle. Attentive and friendly service for the entire duration of our stay. Nice summer vibes with a DJ playing, sun shining, fresh and and seaside feel. Was not so busy when we arrived around 12:30, but packed with a long line when we left a couple of hours later.

I had dinner at Seaside Toldboden with all of my colleagues, and we went for the multi-course menu where you get dishes from all the different restaurants inside. The concept is cool – it's fun to try a bit of everything – and there were a few highlights, especially from the Asian kitchen. The onigiri and the fresh spring rolls were genuinely tasty, and probably the most memorable part of the meal. We also had a variety of salads, which unfortunately didn’t stand out at all, and some platters with different types of meat. The only one that really had any flavour was the beef steak – the rest were pretty forgettable. Oddly enough, the corn was one of the best parts of the whole meal. Dessert was a big letdown. I had the sticky rice with mango, and it was honestly the worst version I’ve had. The rice was dry, lacked any coconut flavour, and the mango was super sour. If you've ever had proper sticky rice in Thailand, this was nothing like it. The setting is lovely – it’s a beautiful building and a cool space – but the loud music made it really hard to have a proper conversation, even with the person right next to you. Overall, it wasn’t terrible, but it didn’t leave much of an impression either. The idea of Seaside Toldboden is better than the actual experience.

Fantastic location with a great view over the water and Copenhagen. We were sitting outside to get this view, but you can also sit inside, which looks very cozy as well 👌 The food is great, but the timing in getting the food was very bad. 2 of us got the starters first, then the last starter came (only when asked for it) when the first main dish was served. The last to main dishes came after the first main dish was half done (even tho we waited, but didn't want to eat cold food). Will give it another go and see if it was just an unlucky day 😊

Great experience (even dor a group of about 60 people that we were), food was diverse and lovely, good portions. Waitresses were very friendly, quick and service-oriented. Great location, indoor and outdoor area.

I don't understand why this place is so underrated. You can choose food from seven different spots, each offering a different cuisine. We tried the oysters, the moules frites, and the Argentinian beef steak — everything was excellent. The view through the canal is also beautiful. I highly recommend it!

A must go in Copenhagen. Absolutely love the concept and just such a Danish experience. We love the community dinners, obviously, such a great way to meet people. And the food is honestly amazing. Everytime. No judgment at all. Just lovely vibes. And I’ve also gone for board game night. Just a wonderful time!

What an amazing experience! Its communal dining so you get to meet people. Everyone is generally very friendly. The food was also really tasty. We had bbq chicken with salsa and roast root vegetables. The “cold bowl” desert (a type of buttermilk) was also nice. It’s often a full house so make sure to reserve in advance.

Apart from the beauty to be together, the beautiful plates, decorations, large magnificent church windows… Best bread I ever had (and I am french !!). People are really nice, the events all day are amazing (even some free after diner). 9€ / 65 dkk to eat 3 different plates as someone that loves tasting everything was a big surprise! Do not hesitate to go !!

Such a great place. An old church converted to a community style kitchen with great food and lots of events. You eat at long community tables and it just felt right. The food is very tasty and very affordable (we paid 60 kr for the lunch). People of all ages come here, but at lunch there were loads of small kids, so probably would recommend trying to work from here. Everyone were so friendly. Will definitely be back here.

Lørdagsfællesspisning Friday community dinner was incredible! You sit at long tables with your friends or strangers, and you serve yourselves from a shared plate. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was inviting. My sister and I made this our first stop after arriving from Canada, and we really enjoyed it! Announcements throughout the evening were in English.

Highly recommend their dinner. You will sit next to other people, strike conversation, and enjoy their wonderful food. Make your reservation ahead of time!

The food is served family style, we were the last of 6 to get the food plates and the 4 before us took most of the salad and salmon. We're not big eaters so we didn't mind, but others sure would have minded. I cannot eat gluten, they provided me with a small gf roll. There was salmon, salad, mashed potatoes, cooked cabbage, and a desert I couldn't eat, gluten full.

Best place to have a coffee, and grilled sandwich in a young and vibrant place 🥰 prices are super affordable compared to other spots in the area, recommend it 100%

This is a cool cozy place in the center where one can work or read while having a hot drink during rhe day and maybe attend some events in the evening😊 P.s. I did not score based on the food because I had none..

Studenterhuset is a local watering hole with plenty of beers on tap. Welcoming student staff and plenty of seating around the bar, outdoor alley, upstairs library and aquarium. Studenterhuset has lively entertainment and different crowds. Sit and relax with everyone and everybody and enjoy a pint or two.

Very cozy student bar that offers a lot of choices. Very affordable prices for Copenhagen. Plus the toilet was very clean. The place is near The Round Tower.

Good ingredients, fresh vegetables the crust was really crunchy, 4 stars because the tomato should more complicated, maybe some garlic or basil would boost it up . Really good pizza though!

If you are on a budget and you want somewhere to drink with a nice crowd, this is the perfect place for it. It’s not very crowded, nice students around, kind staff and nice garden. We spent our two nights here.

The food at this cafe is a bit over the top, but it tastes really good. I had the chicken sandwich and it has a great size, bigger than you expect, and the taste was really great and they didn't just put a bunch of salad in there, actually there was a lot of chicken and bacon. I'm not quite sure about the strawberries, they didn't really fit in I feel.

Yes, it was expensive, but for me it was worth it. I loved their brunch and the beauty of it, is that you have the ability to choose, so I chose what fitted my keto diet. The lovely location and the service were also perfect. I came early and sat down at the window looking out. I enjoyed it and I will definitely come back 😊.

The food is fresh nice view nice scenery. We ate outside where they had live performers of music that commanded the attention of a large crowd of people and those passing through. The food was pricey and the menu was not in any English.

Great spot for lunch and people-watching Traditional Danish cafe with seating upstairs and downstairs as well as table and chairs outside, all overlooking the pretty Storkespring andet (Stork Fountain) and pedestrian area. They have a great food menu with everything from traditional danish open sandwiches to soups and salad, and everything in between. You order and pay at the counter, and they will bring it out to you. Food was delicious and they also have a good selection of wines.

Beautiful place to have food. It can be a little hectic in here at times (you pay at the counter and then take your seat with a little number) but it’s well worth it. Food was fantastic and you get to watch the world go by in stork square. The open sandwich was a winner

I'm here at around 18:00 on a Sunday and it's pretty chilled and relaxed. There's really friendly bar staff. Not too crowded but not empty either. The perfect time to sit with a glass of wine and relax just watching the street from the top floor or just reading.. That's how relaxed it feels here right now. The coffee the guy in front of me smelt and looked good, but I went for a glass of Chardonnay. At 90DKK was not bad and they even made sure I remained hydrated with a glass of water. The interior feels cosy and as soon as I walked in I just felt very much at ease. I know there is outside seating and in summer the place can be packed. You need to order at the bar so don't make the same mistake I made on my first visit and sit down wondering why all the waiters ignore you. Update to the review - I've since been again to this place on a Saturday when it was far busier and I've got to say the experience means I have to downgrade my review. We arrived around 18:00 and the place was busy, we found a table, but they were not cleaned and we noticed none of the staff even when they came over bothered to take the used dishes or offer to wipe the table. The floor was disgusting and I think the pavement outside was actually cleaner. The staff walking around had on mostly soiled and dirty aprons and these were staff who were out on the floor. Also where you order was still as confusing as ever with the first bar tender asking me to order upstairs if we were sitting upstairs but not being very clear. Overall they tried but there just seems to be a lack of understanding of how to service at busy times. They seem to be moving forward purely on location and probably past success during the times when Copenhagen was much quieter. I will definitely not be going here again. Too dirty, not adequate service and for the price I expect better.

I was transit in Copenhagen during a sunny day of October, and had several hours to kill so i walked around city center and I saw outside Cafe Norden customers enjoying amazing looking cakes! Being the sweet tooth I am I didn't have to thing twice and I sat outside in the only available table. I was waiting for the waiter to get my order..in vain!!! I saw everybody was going inside and carry out their orders so I understand it was a self service.That was a problem for me as I was alone, carrying my luggage... First of all it is not safe to leave our stuff unattended, but carrying my luggage and bag inside means I could have not been able to carry my order too, I have only two hands :) and I could have lost my table as somebody else could have sit.. Problem solved thanks to the kind lady next table who promised to keep an eye on my stuff.. Still cannot understand why on earth so many waiters and waitresses inside, where it was empty, could not serve outside. The sweets looked yummy so I got a cake covered with berries and a hot chocolate to drink. I had to pay the equivalent of almost 25 euro which was waaaay too much! Then I looked around and saw the Lui Vuitton shop and other hi-end shops and understand I was sitting to the expensive part of the city. I wish the service was as good as the area... Well.... Chocolate was good and cake delicious that's why I gave the third star.

Lovely coffee from skilled baristas. Busy corner setup with tight spaces and a literal fight for those few high tables alongside the window. I would love to see that the maintenance and aesthetics kept a bit neater behind the counter. Now there are piles of things on every surface available… it was neater when it opened.

An expertly prepared delicate coffee with a smooth finish. Full of flavour. A little pricier than other options close by. Great location with a busy atmosphere.

Great ambience at the corner of the food hall, the Coffee Collective has the best coffee around and such helpful, friendly staff.. A truly enjoyable experience we chose to return for afternoon coffee time accompanied by a citronbølge to complete our breaktime. We will be back tomorrow for our breakfast coffee...

Coffee Collective Torvehallerne is hands down one of the best coffee experiences in Copenhagen.The baristas are friendly, knowledgeable, and take real pride in their craft. They are a little bit on the pricier side. The coffee itself is exceptional. You can tell the beans are roasted with care. I had V60, and it was one of the best. It’s also fun being in Torvehallerne—grabbing a world-class coffee while watching the energy of the market around you. Whether you’re a serious coffee lover or just appreciate a really good cup, Coffee Collective is a must-visit stop in Copenhagen

Tried the AGA as hand brew and as an espresso- both were incredibly tasty. The espresso had opened up just perfectly to be sweet, deep and not punchy. In the filter the citrus like notes came out more, and it made an almost refreshing cup. Would love to try other items here.

On a recent trip to multiple Scandinavian countries, the Flat White I picked up and this coffee shop was probably the best coffee I had (and I was looking hard). This place came highly recommended and I was not disappointed. I too, highly recommend. The only caveat is that it is located in a *fabulous* food hall with limited seating, so plan to grab & go as the few seats are almost always taken.

Came way past lunch time. The saumon was delicious sow were the beef and pork belly. The service was a bit slow probably due to past lunch time and she was on her own. The good side is she was smiling and very nice

We enjoyed the outside area. I ordered a potato pizza and Carlsberg beer. Pizza was tasty and beer was served cold & nice. The inside atmosphere looks beautiful as well. I will try it next time.

Basic brasserie food, nothing noticeable.... Ribe eye was "ok" but very poorly srlerved and presented. Service was really basic. Door entrance lady was very rude and arrogantly treating us. Not used to be miss treated this way! I showed up with 2 indians friends and were told the restaurant was fully booked (while many table were empty), not possibilty to discuss. Walked away, checked the online booking and found a table for 20 min later.... Came back with my booking, she was embarassed almost annoyed, and told me we had to wait for 20 min... while many table were still empty. We came back 20 min later and she allocated a table that had been empty all that time. Very disapointing behaviour and experience and way to consider customers...

Very inattentive and seemingly annoyed waiter. Food was okay, but the bad attitude from multiple staff made the experience very shitty. To top it off, when we went to leave, my coat was gone! The staff did not seem to care and said another guest must have taken it. I asked if I could leave my number in case the guest came back with it, but they said they "didn't offer such services". Very rude and unhelpful. I was told I could write them a couple of days later to see if my coat had turned up, so I did. But at this time I was just told that they do not spend time checking the lost and found, and I should come by and check it myself. This would be fine, if it was not for the fact that I live very far away from the restaurant and can not just swing by. I would recommend everyone to stay away from this place.

Food was nice, but seating awful. Tables too close. Constant bumping of people passing by. We were Squeezed into a small space, had people almost on our table from all angles. It ruined the whole experience. Never going back!

The food is good and a bit on the expensive side. The service was good and the place is usually very crowded in the weekends. So you should accept some delays in getting your food, but the smiling waitresses make up for it :)

Interesting to visit a place with 3 Security guards working from 19.00 🤔 lots of good looking woman. After been there I understand why the Security is needed… would I visit again yes… 😎

An excellent stop for breakfast. The pastries are a bit dense, but taste good and are very pretty. I would go for the cooked food, which is delicious. I tried the scrambled eggs on toast and the oat porridge with hazelnut milk. Both excellent.

We had 2 x bread with whipped cream and cheese, 1 x blackberry cake and 2 x filter coffee which came to around £21. The pastry was deliciously sweet and dense and the bread was really good. Nice place to watch the world go by. Quite small so difficult to get a table and can feel a bit cramped. Well worth a visit.

Absolutely wonderful cinnamon roll. The quality of tea is superb although for what you pay you only receive a cup. If the weather is nice you can sit outside at the big table in front of the 108 restaurant. The service is a bit slow but if you have time they really care about the outcome of your drink. As it’s part of the 108 / Noma enterprise I believe it is a bit overpriced but quality is of course good and the atmosphere very well curated and relaxing.

Service service service!!! Really not good enough. Tea made out of the hot water from the coffee machine... really? For the price you are paying and taking into account you work with Postcard Teas should be made with more love... also the best cup is not the first flush but they always throw it away... even if you ask them to keep it for you. Food is nice but the vibe is just a bit off... they kept forgetting things the whole time. I’ve been there twice and after this last visit I won’t come back.

Nice decor inside, patio seating, very pleasant staff, small selection but unique pastries. Better American Country music than I hear in the states; at least this morning.

Average coffee and pastries, smoked pigeon on rye bread was inedible. To salty & chewy, couldn't finish it and left me with jaw ache .
