Nyhavn is a must-visit destination in Copenhagen, offering a picturesque representation of the city's maritime legacy. The area boasts iconic colorful buildings, lively bars, and cozy cafes along the bustling waterfront. It appeals to photography enthusiasts, food lovers, and those looking for an authentic Danish experience. Visitors can enjoy leisurely strolls and romantic walks while taking in the vibrant atmosphere.
Looks exactly like all the photos, lovely area either beautiful danish houses, boutiques and souvenirs. There are nice canal side restaurants, boat rest aired, public benches and live buskers all around so you can do a lot without spending much. Careful not to get run over by bikes!
Felicia M — Google review
Nice to walk through and appreciate the tourists althoguh we went on a stormy day to avoid tourists and make the photos a bit more moody. This place can get very busy, and food/ bars are just there for the tourists who step off the boats .... I suggest venturing down the alleys as there are plenty of hidden gems in this city.
Gregory H — Google review
A very pleasant and lively area. A boat tour is recommended. You can see many places in an hour. I think there are two boat tours. One is very cheap. You should ask about the difference and choose accordingly.

Visited Nyhavn over the weekend and absolutely loved it! 🌈 The colorful houses along the canal look stunning, especially on a sunny day ☀️. Tip: for the best photo, click from the opposite side of the canal 📸. Lined with cozy cafes and restaurants, it’s a perfect place to relax, enjoy a meal, and soak in the cheerful Copenhagen vibes 🇩🇰.
YG T — Google review
It's a must see and very photographic landmark area. There are numerous restaurants and small shops. You catch a canal tour here as well. Don't forget to visit the shop where Hans Christian Anderson once lived.

Amazing view. Enjoy the walk and photo taking. Stop by for a drink as well but the river side.

If you want to see only one place in Copenhagen, it should be definitely Nyhavn. Fabulous and lovely! Full of nice and cozy cafe and restaurant around it.

Nyhavn is an absolute must-see in Copenhagen—a lively, colorful waterfront that perfectly captures the city’s charm. I loved strolling along the canal, lined with vibrant, historic buildings, bustling cafes, and restaurants. It’s a fantastic spot to sit, enjoy a drink, and soak in the scenery.

Christiansborg Palace is a must-see in Copenhagen, Denmark. It's home to the Danish Parliament, the Prime Minister's office, and the Supreme Court of Denmark. The palace also houses government and judicial offices. Visitors can explore its lavish reception rooms like the Great Hall, Tower Hall, and Oval Throne Room. Don't miss the royal kitchen and the remains of an older castle beneath the main building. The palace has a rich history spanning over 800 years and covers a large area.
Such a beautiful building on the inside and out. There aren't loads and loads of rooms to see but each one is unique and has its own charm. The tapestries in the great hall were particularly interesting and super colourful. This palace definitely felt worth it!
Coralie P — Google review
Christiansborg Slot was one of the highlights of my Copenhagen visit. Walking through the grand halls and admiring the royal reception rooms and tapestries felt like stepping back into history. The ruins beneath the palace were fascinating, giving a glimpse of the city’s medieval past. I also loved visiting the tower—its panoramic views of Copenhagen were simply stunning. The mix of politics, royalty, and history in one place makes it a truly memorable stop.
Vidya H — Google review
I only had time to visit the royal reception rooms and the experience was already beyond my expectation. The Queen's Tapestries at the Knights' Hall were jaw-dropping. 1,100 years of Danish history were woven into 17 colourful tapestries. They were modern and educative. If I had more time, I would spend all day looking at them and try to learn the history/stories in each of them.
Rachel M — Google review
Christiansborg Palace is a historic palace in Copenhagen, Denmark, that now houses the country's three branches of government: the Parliament, the Supreme Court, and the Ministry of State. Once a royal residence, it is open to the public and features attractions like the Royal Reception Rooms, the Royal Stables, and a viewing tower with panoramic city views. Visitors can also explore the underground ruins of earlier castles that stood on the site.
Randy B — Google review
The grand, grandeur and wonderful castle in the heart of Copenhagen. What a splendid way the castle is decorated and preserved and still active. Such display of wealth is dazzling. They have visuals and videos of the historical aspect of the castle. Interesting to go through them and better for kids to enhance their knowledge.
Tas A — Google review
Christiansborg Palace is a unique and fascinating destination in Copenhagen, blending royal splendor with the seat of modern democracy. It’s one of the only buildings in the world that houses all three branches of a country’s government — the Danish Parliament, Supreme Court, and Prime Minister’s Office — all within a former royal palace. That alone makes it worth visiting. Architecturally, Christiansborg is an imposing and elegant structure built in Neo-Baroque style with touches of Neo-Classicism, especially visible in its formal reception halls. The current palace is actually the third iteration — previous versions were destroyed by fire in 1794 and again in 1884. What you see today is the result of a rebuild completed in the early 20th century, blending old grandeur with modern sensibilities. The tall central tower is the highest in Copenhagen and offers free public access with panoramic city views. Inside, the Royal Reception Rooms are a highlight, especially the Great Hall with its striking modern tapestries depicting Danish history, designed by artist Bjørn Nørgaard. The Queen still uses these rooms for official state functions, adding a sense of living history to the experience. You can also explore the Royal Stables, the Royal Kitchen, and the underground ruins, where remnants of the medieval Bishop’s Castle and earlier palaces have been preserved. In short, Christiansborg may not have the romantic fairy-tale look of some other castles, but it offers something deeper — a powerful connection between Denmark’s royal past and its modern democracy. A rewarding and educational visit, especially for those interested in history, architecture, and politics.
Dmitry Z — Google review
We went up on the tower and it has a nice 360 view around the city of Copenhagen. We were lucky as there was not that crowded when we wanted to go in, so waited around 20 minutes. When we went down, there was huge line of people standing there which was a surprise. It is fine up there but definitely not worth waiting in the line for 1 hour or more.

Tivoli Gardens is a 19th-century amusement park located in the heart of Copenhagen. It features an antique roller coaster and a live entertainment program, making it a magical and traditional attraction. The park is the second-oldest operating amusement park globally and one of the most popular seasonal theme parks, attracting nearly five million visitors annually.
Absolutely great place! All decoration changes every season and it’s a perfect place to have photoshoots here. I have a subscription and often bring my tourists here for photo shoots. The place is full of locations like from a fairy tale. But I only post my last visit here at night (I didn't try my best this time 😁) You can check more of my work on Instagram ninelzakaryan_photo

An excellent park although off to a skeptical start when I saw the first ride we went on had a member of staff on to "pull the brake". Lots of rides to suit all with a fair number of "tummy turners". Queues were small and the facilities such as food and toilets were at a good standard. We used the Copenhagen card to get in but you need to pay extra for the rides. Was quite cold when we were there so dress appropriately. The teenage kids enjoyed it so that's a thumbs up !
Alex J — Google review
Had such a fun day at Tivoli Gardens in Copenhagen! The autumn vibes were magical, and the park looks absolutely stunning as the lights come on in the evening. I highly recommend going late afternoon so you can enjoy it in daylight and then see it sparkle at night. The food was delicious, the rides and attractions were super fun, and the whole day just felt so cozy and special. A must-visit for anyone in Copenhagen! 🎡🍂✨

Went here for the halloween themed gardens, it was amazing. So much to do for all ages. Rides, show for the little children, pumpkin carving, amusements, stalls to buy gifts and plenty of food and drink stalls. You can go in and out if you get a stamp and there's plenty of shops nearby. Was a great day out.
Jade M — Google review
We visited just before Halloween and had a great time. The decorations and while atmosphere just felt special. I initially thought that the entry and ride ticket was a little expensive but it certainly wasn’t, only major queues were for food outlets at meal time which is understandable. Download the app and you can also have free copies of the ride photos, something completely unheard of in our native UK. Highly recommend and a highlight of our family trip to Copenhagen
Chris F — Google review
Beautiful theme park in the city center of Copenhagen, Denmark. My Danish friends told me that It was the inspiration of Disney’s World. Lovely theme park with various rides and attractions, bars, ice cream, candy shops and restaurants as well as souvenirs and artisanal shops. I came here in October so the park was lavishly decorated with Halloween theme 🎃🎃🎃. It was packed even on weekdays. I tried Demon, the 🎢 rollercoaster (the queue was 45 minutes for a 1 - minute fun ride! 😇) and we had fun! We also had wonderful dinner in Mikkeler Færgerkroen restaurant. Fun attractions include the old wooden rollercoaster, fatamorgana, carousel, boat ride, Ferris wheels 🎡, swinging carousel, bumper car and more. The tickets are available online as well as through Tivoli app. You can get the passes as well, starting for the standard pass for 12 months to silver, gold and wild card. Get more details on their app and website. Single ride tickets are also available, from 50 - 60 DKK. Watch out for the health and safety limitations for the rides. Toilets are available here and there. Some parts are flat and ♿️✅ disability friendly, but some parts have stairs.
Indah S — Google review
Great experience. Was really nice walking and enjoying all the Halloween themed corners. There are some nice food stalls and also some nice cafe and restaurants so that makes it a really nice full experience with the haunted houses and all the rest of the amenities. Great overall.
Inc C — Google review
Great day out, rides were good. Went on a few couple times. Wait times were around 30mins which wasn't too bad for most rides. Food was priced reasonably inside the park and you also had the food hall next door so had a few to choose from. Will definitely visit again when visiting Copenhagen.

The Round Tower, also known as Rundetarn, is a remarkable 17th-century structure in Copenhagen. It was originally built as an astronomical observatory and features a unique spiral ramp instead of traditional stairs. Visitors can enjoy sweeping views of the city from this architectural gem while experiencing its rich history. The gradual ascent makes it accessible to all, appealing to history buffs, architecture enthusiasts, and anyone seeking breathtaking vistas of Copenhagen.
Highly recommended, especially just before sunset on a beautiful day. The view from the rooftop is absolutely breathtaking. We were lucky enough to witness a blood moon during our visit to the Round Tower, which made the experience even more special. The ticket prices were reasonable, and the panoramic skyline view of Copenhagen is truly stunning.
Arzu A — Google review
Nice view from the top, you can also take a peek into the observatory up there. That's is also a shop with beautifully designed items (notebooks, post cards, posters, etc) that's adjacent to an art school exhibition. Plus you can take a look into the church's attic and learn about historic stuff
Jana G — Google review
Totally worth the visit! It has a very cool architecture spiraling all the way to the top, ending with a rooftop deck, amazing views and also an observatory. It has some art installations inside too.
MAXIM P — Google review
The round tower is a must see if you visit Copenhagen! It is Europe’s oldest observatory building and it offers breathtaking views of the city. There is an art gallery on one of the floors which has some interesting pieces
Aynsley J — Google review
Great attraction right in the city center. The ticket costs around €8. The climb is easy, with very few steps, and the views from the top are beautiful — you can see the entire city from above. There’s also a small museum and a small art exhibition inside. I didn’t visit many attractions in Copenhagen, but I’m glad I visited this one.
Katerina Z — Google review
Very interesting architecture. The ramp without strairs is amazing and beautiful. On the top, the view to the city center is amazing. Like it
JL K — Google review
This was kind of cool. You walk up this winding stone path to get to the top, and then you have a great view of the city. It is an observatory attached to the university of copenhan (i think). There is also a beautiful church to see.
Natalie N — Google review
So yes it's Copenhagen's Main tourist attraction, but it still offers plenty to justify the crowds and admission fee. The view is great, the ramp absorbs crowds, there are plenty of toilets, and some unexpected artefacts along the wall to the top. Even in a sunny Saturday with three cruise ships in town, the only area with some congestion was the top of the ramp. An automated traffic light system controls the flow of visitors through the narrow staircase which connects the ramp to the observation terrace.

Amalienborg Palace, an exquisite 18th-century rococo complex in Copenhagen, serves as the winter residence for the Danish monarchy. This remarkable ensemble consists of four distinct palaces—Brockdorfske, Levetzaus, Moltkes, and Schackske—each showcasing stunning architecture and rich history. Surrounding a grand plaza, these palatial structures were adopted by the royal family in 1794 after a devastating fire at Christiansborg Castle.
If you’re in Copenhagen, Amalienborg is a must-visit. This beautiful palace showcases the rich history, details, and artifacts of the Danish royal family. One of the highlights is the changing of the guard, which takes place daily at 12 pm and is a wonderful experience to witness. There’s no entry fee. Walk around the palace square, since the surroundings are equally charming.

I had the pleasure of visiting this magnificent palace, and it truly felt like stepping back in time into a world of royalty. The interiors are grand and beautifully preserved, with multiple sections showcasing how the royals once lived. From the opulent living quarters and lavish dining halls to the intricately designed courtyards, every corner tells a story of elegance and power. What stood out to me most was the attention to detail—exquisite furniture, ornate chandeliers, and priceless artifacts that reflect a royal lifestyle at its peak. The guided displays made it easy to understand the history and appreciate the traditions behind each room. Walking through the palace, I could almost imagine the grandeur of royal gatherings and ceremonies that once filled these halls. Overall, it’s a place where history and beauty come together perfectly. If you want to experience the charm of a royal lifestyle, this palace is a must-visit.

We came here with the intention of observing the Changing of the Guards. It starts at 12, so try to be there at 11:30 for a better stand spot. Because lots and lots of people come to see this. Bring hat and sunglasses during summer season. If you are interested in these come otherwise enjoy the castle. You have to buy tickets for the castle and check timing.
Tas A — Google review
Visited Amalienborg Palace on a rainy Sunday 🇩🇰. It’s famous for the Changing of the Guard ceremony that starts sharp at 12 noon and lasts about 30 minutes ⏰. Even with the rain, the square was fully packed! If you want a front-row view, reach by 11:45. For us, it was an okay experience — interesting to watch just once.

Truely amazing.. i had visited Amelienborg palace with my family in the month of May.. just was spell bound by the beauty and architectural marvel of the same. The whole palace was worth watching again and again from each and every angle. As we had visited on a weekend there was really a big crowd which really added to the enrichment of the ambience.. We had planned to reach there to watch the famous change of guard event. It was so awesome.. even though it is something that happens on a daily basis but the accuracy and precision of the event is something to adore for.. From accessibility perspective we have the well established punlic transportation of Copenhagen.. A must watch if you are visiting Copenhagen..
Krishna C — Google review
Go at 11:30am to get a good view of the changing of the guard. They push everyone back behind the black lines of the quad closest to the brown doors/left of the entry pillars if you want a good view, but the guards do a march around the while Palace eventually. We also saw the marching band through the town which was cool!
Crystal T — Google review
how to enjoy the guards change parade at it's max 1. be at the square at 1130 - at this the police will start to clear the square 2. tourists are allowed to stand only in certain areas 3. take the position marked at the screenshot - this one is the best, since you will see the change and the guards will marsh along you enjoy :-)

Kastellet is a well-preserved 17th-century star-shaped fortress in northern Europe. It hosts various events and concerts and is a must-see attraction in Copenhagen. The area also features other notable sites such as the iconic Little Mermaid Statue, Kings Garden, Botanical Garden, Freetown Christiania, Superkilen Park, Frederiksberg Park, and Assistens Kirkegard.
We visited the exterior grounds of this historic fort. It appears to still be in operation on an administrative level. The park-like property is absolutely gorgeous and is meticulously maintained. It was a such a please to stroll around taking in the sites on a recent visit to Copenhagen.

Combine your visit to the Little Mermaid with this Military Fort Visited on Thursday, 31st July 2025, after being dropped off to see the Little Mermaid Statue, I took the opportunity to visit this army barracks. Still an active army site, so the access was limited, but what you could see was wonderful and provided the opportunity to walk the moat mounds that surround the fort. Cycling isn't allowed, but it appears the site is not supervised.
Jeffrey S — Google review
I visited Kastellet in August and it quickly became one of my favorite places in Copenhagen. The fortress is beautifully preserved, with its colorful red and yellow buildings and the iconic Danish flag creating a picture-perfect setting. Walking along the star-shaped ramparts gave me great views of the city and the harbor, and I loved the calm, peaceful atmosphere despite being so close to the center. It’s the kind of place where you can take your time, enjoy the history, and relax in the green surroundings. A wonderful spot that I would highly recommend to anyone visiting Copenhagen!
Kalina M — Google review
The Citadel is far more than just a tourist attraction and it is fascinating to watch tourists, the Danish military and members of the public coexist in the sprawling complex. Young cadets man both the entrances to manage car traffic but you can otherwise see joggers, curious tourists and other pedestrians walk freely in and out enjoying the pleasant sights and 360 degree views. It is well worth a visit and spending around an hour to check out the inner fortification as well as the battlements, as it is effectively a living museum.
Andrew M — Google review
Kastellet in Copenhagen is one of those places that feels like a peaceful escape right in the middle of the city. I wasn’t sure what to expect at first, but it turned out to be one of the most pleasant and memorable walks of my trip. The star-shaped fortress is beautifully preserved and surrounded by green spaces, canals, and well-maintained paths. Walking along the ramparts offers great views of both the city and the sea. It’s a great spot if you enjoy nature, history, or just a quiet stroll away from the busier tourist spots. The area is not only scenic but also full of charm — with red barracks, a picturesque windmill, and the lovely St. Alban’s Church nearby. Everything feels calm, clean, and safe. It’s hard to believe that a military site could feel this peaceful! I especially appreciated how locals use it as a jogging or walking route — it makes the place feel very alive and integrated into the community. It’s also free to enter, which is a bonus. If you're visiting Copenhagen and want a break from the usual attractions, Kastellet is definitely worth your time. It’s a perfect mix of history, beauty, and serenity.

Free entry and a beautiful view of the harbour of Copenhagen. There are lots of people running and walking. A quiet and peaceful area in the city.

This was a neat area we stumbled across after looking at the mermaid. I really enjoyed the windmill, and all the red buildings were really neat as well. No fees or entry cost to enter.

I was stunned by the care which had been taken for these old buildings and I loved dwelling over the old bastions... The windmill, the view, the cobblestones... They transfer you back in time. Simply recommended!

The Little Mermaid is a famous bronze sculpture in Copenhagen, inspired by Hans Christian Andersen's beloved fairy tale. Unveiled in 1913, it sits gracefully on a rock along the waterfront and is a must-see for literature and fairy tale enthusiasts. The site offers serene views of the harbor and appeals to those seeking a contemplative experience. To avoid crowds, visit early in the morning or late afternoon.
The Little Mermaid may be small, but she's full of emotion and history. Sculpted in 1913, she tells the story of love, sacrifice, and longing from Hans Christian Andersen's fairy tale. Don't just stop for a photo - walk around the area! You'll find the beautiful Gefion Fountain, St. Alban's Church, and cozy cafés nearby. In spring, especially from mid-April to early May, cherry trees bloom along the paths, making it one of the most romantic walks in Copenhagen. A timeless symbol of beauty and reflection.

Visiting the Little Mermaid statue in Copenhagen was a memorable experience. The sculpture itself is smaller than I expected, but it’s beautifully placed by the water and has a certain quiet charm. The surroundings are peaceful, with lovely views across the harbor, and it’s a nice spot for a walk. Even though it can get a bit crowded with tourists, it still feels special to see such an iconic landmark in person. A must-visit if you’re exploring Copenhagen!

The Little Mermaid – A Symbol of Copenhagen We visited the famous Little Mermaid statue, and while the statue itself is quite small, it’s definitely worth the visit. Nestled along the waterfront, the surroundings are absolutely beautiful, offering peaceful views and a scenic walk leading up to the site. The walk itself is part of the experience – calm, relaxing, and filled with lovely views of the harbour. Do keep in mind that it’s a popular attraction, so it can get quite crowded. If you're hoping for a quieter moment, consider visiting early in the morning or later in the evening. A charming and iconic stop on any Copenhagen itinerary.
Mark H — Google review
Copenhagen in the Spring is a nice, relatively quiet port with mostly the usual features of European / Scandinavian ports. The only unique attraction is The Little Mermaid statue, small but with it's own history of abductions, kidnapping and beheadings. If you're lucky your guide will give you the local story of the Little Mermaid which is more of a Danish Tragedy, so beware of little ears who are enchanted by the Disney version. It isn't magical but it's interesting lore. Here are a few other shots of the city as there are ample and better pictures of the Mermaid than I could get under the lighting conditions.
M H — Google review
It's a little mermaid. Not much more than that. Be sure to visit the nearby fortress and church and windmill and fountain. Don't just come for the little mermaid. By the way... Great place for a run or walk around the fort and along the waterfront.
Michael L — Google review
Small statue, big crowds. The place is super busy as there are organized tours to see the statue by land and water. I took public transport and walked along the nearby park and enjoyed spending time at the place as it's serene to just sit down at the benches and enjoy the views, further away from the crowds. It's a nice experience if you don't go there just for the statue. But the statue is nice to see in person.
Natasha G — Google review
A bit operated. Did not go very specifically to see this. When on another tour, the driver stopped here for a couple of minutes. The city so many more statues and sculptures which are much much more attractive. Example, when in the area, check out a sculpture near the National Museum/ opp Tivoli Garden entrance.
Raman G — Google review
The Little Mermaid statue was definitely smaller than I expected, but I still found it charming. Sitting quietly on a rock by the water, she has a delicate, almost wistful look that really ties back to Hans Christian Andersen’s fairytale. I also enjoyed the setting by the harbor and made it part of a nice walk that included Churchillparken and the nearby monuments.

Rosenborg Castle is a well-preserved Dutch Renaissance palace located in the King's Garden, featuring stunning architecture and a rich history. Built in the early 17th century as a summer residence for Danish monarchs, it boasts red brick facades, copper-green roofs, and intricate ornamentation. Today, it serves as a museum showcasing lavish rooms, tapestries, and artwork. The basement houses the Danish Crown Jewels and royal regalia such as crowns and scepters.
Worth to visit. You need to have a half of day to visit them leisurely. Otherwise you have to run and you will miss those. In the castle there are two parts. Furniture, cloths , drawings are in 3/4 floors. Treasury is in the ground. Don’t miss to visit treasure. There is sanitary facilities too They have a garden as well. You can spend the time there. You can buy tickets over the counter. And there are lockers to keep your bags in. You can have the key. It’s free. They dont allow you to go inside with large bags ( even handbag)

Loved it. Spent about 3 hours here. Very well curated. Displays of the Castle itself and not a ' general history museum'. Authentic, original displays. You will be amazed and stunned to see the Crown and Jewellery display section. Look out of the windows on higher floor at the adjacent Gardens. Entry to the Gardens is free.

Rosenborg Castle is a historic site in central Copenhagen, best known for housing the Danish Crown Jewels and Royal Regalia. The rooms are well-preserved and give a good overview of Denmark’s royal history. The Treasury in the basement is a highlight. The surrounding King’s Garden is open to the public and great for a walk. Worth a visit if you're interested in history or culture. Buy tickets in advance to avoid lines.

Rosenborg Castle is a wonderful place to visit: full of history, charm, and beautifully preserved treasures. The interiors and royal collections are fascinating. However, the exhibition lighting could be improved, as some areas were quite dim and it was difficult to see certain displays clearly. Overall, still a great experience and definitely worth visiting!
Giorgos G — Google review
Well truely a marvel of the history. Absolutely loved the aura of the castle and its surroundings. There is big park and lake in front of the castle. It is easy to get to the place, thanks to the well connected public transport systems. The architecture of the castle is something that is worth mentioning. I would recommend to read and learn about the history of the palace before visiting it so that you can just relive the past and get a feel of the same. If you are planning to go in a weekend, be prepared to wait for sometime as there would be rush.

Beautiful site and an easy walk from the waterfront. You can also peek at the King’s Gardens out back — immaculately kept, of course. The day pass is worth it for convenient access to the castle. Free lockers are a nice touch, and the guards with bayonets add a bit of royal drama. Inside, the halls are filled with art and artifacts — the grand hall with the thrones and lion statues is a standout. Don’t miss the Crown Jewels in the walk-in vault downstairs, complete with a step ladder for the perfect view. A truly regal visit, well worth the stop.

We really enjoyed visiting Rosenborg Castle . it’s such a beautiful place, full of history and character. In the 1960s, due to increasing traffic and crowded narrow streets in central Copenhagen, the City Council decided to create a car-free zone from Town Hall Square to Kongens Nytorv, establishing Stroget as the world's oldest and longest pedestrian street system at almost 3.2 km.

Det Kgl. Bibliotek, also known as The Royal Library or the Black Diamond, is a modern architectural marvel located in Copenhagen, Denmark. It was established in 1648 and is considered one of the largest libraries in the Nordic countries. The library's striking Black Diamond building features a contemporary design with a black marble facade that mirrors the sea.
This is much more than a library. This black granite building made of Zimbabwean granite is a huge center of books, conference center, art and photo exhibits, student study rooms, super cafe and gift shop. We took a one hour tour for K120 about $US 20 that included typical admission. We saw the new section, snuck a peek at Queens Hall for concerts and conferences. We viewed the area where the new library joined the old. The two old photographs showed the bridge and small rail car used to move books from the older building to the newer one. The exhibiit of occult practices included original writings, books, tools, medicines, and other items. The gift shop offers an array of books, logs, and library related goodies. The cafe offers an array of savory and sweet delights with several coffee and tea options. Enjoy a high top or accessible height table in the cafe area

The Copenhagen Library is a stunning example of how design can transform a public space. The architecture is sleek, modern, and filled with natural light that floods through large windows, creating a calm and welcoming atmosphere. Clean lines, open spaces, and thoughtful details make it not just functional but genuinely beautiful. It’s the kind of place where you immediately feel inspired — whether you’re there to read, study, or simply take in the design. The balance of modern aesthetics with cozy, practical spaces makes it one of the coolest libraries I’ve ever visited. A true highlight of the city for architecture and design lovers.

Lovely building with cool melding of old and new architecture. The space is air conditioned making it a nice break from any weather outside. Free to enter and wander around with dedicated spaces for those actually wanting to read or study.

The Royal Library Black Diamond is one of the most surreal and inspiring places I’ve ever been. The atmosphere is absolutely perfect for studying – calm, bright, and so unique that you actually feel like you could sit here and study forever. The architecture is stunning both inside and out, with an amazing mix of modern design and peaceful views of the water. There’s also a cozy café with great options if you need a break, and the toilets are spotless, which makes a huge difference for long study sessions. Everything here feels so well thought-out, from the layout to the light. Honestly, it’s the best study environment I’ve found anywhere in the world.

Kongens Nytorv is one of Copenhagen’s central landmarks; a beautiful and well-kept public square right next to the jewel of the city, the Nyhavn waterfront. The open space has a calm atmosphere, with a small garden in the middle and majestic historic buildings surrounding it, including the Royal Danish Theatre, Hotel D’Angleterre, and several high-end shops like Rolex. Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek is a captivating fine art museum that showcases a diverse collection of ancient Mediterranean sculptures, 19th-century French and Danish artworks. The museum offers an immersive experience for art enthusiasts, featuring artifacts from ancient civilizations such as Egypt, Greece, and Rome. Visitors can also explore the impressive winter garden within the museum's premises, providing a picturesque setting for artistic inspiration.
Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek is an absolute treasure for anyone who appreciates timeless art and refined curation. From the moment you walk through its grand halls, you’re transported into a world of elegance, history, and cultural richness. The museum is beautifully maintained, and every space — from the central winter garden to the majestic marble galleries — feels thoughtfully preserved and respectfully presented. I especially loved the vast collection of classical art — Greek, Roman, and Egyptian antiquities that are truly world-class. The 19th-century Danish and French collections, with works by artists like Rodin, Degas, and Gauguin, are equally impressive and thoughtfully displayed. One of the biggest highlights is the rooftop terrace, which offers stunning panoramic views over Copenhagen. It’s peaceful, not overly crowded, and provides a perfect pause between exhibits. I truly appreciated that this museum didn’t overload the experience with disjointed, ultra-modern bizarre conceptual art that many other museums now seem obsessed with. Here, the focus remains where it should: on quality, craftsmanship, and the enduring power of the classical tradition. The Nordic and Germanic nations have a rich cultural legacy, and the Glyptotek honors that brilliantly. The staff was kind, professional, and welcoming — clearly proud of the institution they help run. Whether you’re an art lover, a history enthusiast, or simply someone who values beauty over trends, this place is a must-visit in Copenhagen.
Dmitry Z — Google review
Beautiful museum! I absolutely love when museums are filled with statues and this one was filled with them! The building is stunning as well, with sort of an indoor garden by the entrance and big rooms filled with artwork. There’s also a rooftop which was a surprise and has a stunning view of Copenhagen. The reason why I’m not giving them more stars is because of how rude the staff were in the mummy section. There were two young boys (staff apparently) who kept whispering and talking to each other without caring there were people in the room. It completely ruined the vibe and I felt really uncomfortable. I understand it gets boring down there and you need to pass the time, but could you NOT talk when people are there? The amusement park is next door so you will probably hear some screams thought out the museum which was also creepy at times but inevitable. Overall I recommend it. I spent around 2/3 hours there and think I managed to see most of it. You can purchase the ticket online with the QR by the entrance and it’s cheaper. Video of the cute plushies! So expensive tho.

A must-visit museum in Copenhagen! The Glyptotek is absolutely stunning, a perfect blend of art, history, and architecture. The collection ranges from ancient sculptures to impressionist masterpieces, beautifully displayed in serene galleries. The central winter garden is breathtaking, and the overall atmosphere feels peaceful and inspiring. I could easily spend hours here. Truly one of Copenhagen’s cultural gems!

Glyptoteket is, hands down, the most beautiful museum in Copenhagen. The atmosphere inside is incredible – there’s really nothing else like it, especially when you walk through the Winter Garden. It’s such a peaceful and stunning space. The exhibitions are great too, especially if you’re into ancient Greek and Roman culture. That’s definitely my favourite part of the museum. I also really enjoy the Egyptian section, and it’s super cool to go downstairs and see the mummies. They do have other exhibitions with paintings, but that’s not really my thing, so I usually skip those. For me, it’s all about walking around and admiring the statues
Anne L — Google review
I think this might be one of my favorite museums I have visited in my life so far. The statues were incredibly moving and beautiful, and the interior of the museum was breathtaking, every corner is designed with such attention to detail. The exhibitions are also very interesting, and I would definitely recommend a visit to anyone coming to Copenhagen. The museum also has a restaurant and bar where you can enjoy a drink or a snack, as well as a shop with unique items if you’d like to take something home. Plan at least 1 to 2 hours for your visit. Unfortunately, we only had 45 minutes since we arrived close to closing time, but it was still worth it!

This is one of my favorite museums in Denmark! The oasis next to the café is such a calming and aesthetically pleasing spot. The café itself isn’t anything special, but it’s worth sitting there just for the view. The exhibitions and statues are also very impressive and easy to explore. P.S.

The National Museum of Denmark, housed in an 18th-century mansion, is a captivating journey through the country's history and culture. From prehistoric artifacts to modern exhibits, the museum offers an extensive collection that appeals to history enthusiasts, families, and anyone curious about Denmark's cultural tapestry. Visitors can explore Viking relics, medieval treasures, and ethnographic displays. The Children's Museum provides interactive entertainment for kids with a range of activities including exploring vintage toys and dressing up like historical figures.
I was only intending to pop in and have a quick look but ended up spending most of the day there, looking at all of the various rooms and displays. There is a lot to see and is a great place to see aspects of Danish history as well as other cultures. I am generally not a museum fan, but this was an eye-opener! There is a fantastic cafe too for the midday break.
Victor ( — Google review
The museum takes you on a fascinating journey through different historical periods, guiding you from one age to another in a thoughtfully organized layout. From the outside, it appears rather modest in size, but once inside, it reveals a surprisingly vast and intricate space. I actually found it easy to lose my sense of direction there—not unpleasantly so, but in that way where every turn leads to another hidden room or unexpected display. The collection itself is impressive. Many ornaments, tools, fabrics, and even preserved human remains are remarkably well-maintained, offering a vivid glimpse into the past. The diversity of materials on display—ranging from everyday items to ceremonial artifacts—makes the experience rich and engaging for history enthusiasts. However, the space does show signs of wear. Some of the doors are noticeably old, creaky, and could use maintenance. The walls and ceilings in certain areas have peeling paint or water stains, which somewhat take away from the immersive atmosphere. A bit of renovation would go a long way in enhancing the visitor experience and doing justice to the fascinating collection housed within. The museum shop, while convenient, felt a bit underwhelming. The items were fairly standard and lacked the kind of creativity or uniqueness one might expect from such a distinctive museum. There's definitely room for more inspired and memorable souvenirs.

AMAZING place! We were blown away by the huge collection of ancient artifacts. This museum has an extensive collection of pieces that are in fantastic condition, or really well restored. Good big museum with multiple levels and buildings! Vast varieties of many contents and really interesting things to see! There is a little children playground in the middle of the complex but only for children and with an extra fees. (I saw a Viking set up with a guys dress in the Viking style but we can't go in as an adult 😞) The Doll House section was super impressive with the number and size of the room and a day and night alternative as well! Many cool facts and items to see and read through! You can easily spend a couple hours to just even walk through all the rooms! Definitely a very interesting place to visit in Copenhagen!

The National Museum of Denmark is an essential stop for anyone with an interest in Viking heritage, Norse mythology, or the broader story of Denmark’s past. The Viking exhibition is especially impressive — featuring original swords, rune stones, burial artifacts, and mythological pieces that truly evoke the spirit of the Norse world. The displays are thoughtful and immersive, making the history feel very much alive. The museum also offers an excellent overview of Denmark’s transformation from early tribal societies into a European maritime kingdom. The royal and military exhibits provide fascinating insights into diplomacy, warfare, and national identity through the centuries. One of the highlights for me was how seamlessly the museum combines archaeological discoveries with historical storytelling. It’s well-curated, deeply informative, and emotionally resonant — especially for those passionate about Nordic culture. A quick note for summer visitors: some galleries can feel extremely warm due to limited airflow in certain areas. It’s a good idea to bring water and wear lighter clothing if you’re visiting on a hot day. That said, the richness of the exhibits more than makes up for it. Highly recommended for history lovers and curious minds alike!
Dmitry Z — Google review
This museum provides an incredibly comprehensive overview of the history of Denmark. The scale of the exhibits is very extensive so it may be suggest to plan your visit carefully depending on your areas of interest. The upper floors of the museum have a great selection of exhibits about Danish history from the Early-Modern period of the 1600s to the modern day. There is also a fascinating permanent exhibition about the history and legacy of Denmark’s colonial empire and makes a significant effort to assess the positive and negative impacts of this colonial legacy across Africa, China, Greenland, Iceland, India, and the Danish West Indies (now the US Virgin Islands) using modern interviews and historical perspectives and first person accounts to enhance the exhibits on display.

Frederik's Church, also known as The Marble Church or Marmorkirken, is a renowned Lutheran church situated in the heart of Copenhagen, Denmark. This 18th-century church boasts impressive rococo architecture and is famous for its grand dome, one of the largest in Scandinavia at 31 meters in diameter. The exterior is clad with Norwegian and Danish marble, giving it a distinctive appearance that sets it apart from other European churches.
It’s a grand and magnificent church, especially the dome, which is both tall and spacious. Despite the crowds, it still manages to maintain a peaceful and serene atmosphere.

It’s good to check ahead for opening times and whether dome access is available during your visit, as it’s not open every day. The church is active, so be mindful if a service is in session. Overall, Frederik’s Church is a must-see for anyone interested in architecture, history, or simply enjoying one of the most iconic and peaceful spots in the city.

Just to the opposite of the Amalienborg castle, this church just matches up to it. The exterior of the mosque is so gigantic and massive looking that it still holds beauty and grandeur. Inside the church is very spacious and the dome makes it look even bigger. What an architectural marvel!

Frederik's Church (The Marble Church) is one of the most impressive landmarks in Copenhagen. Its massive dome and intricate interior design are truly mesmerizing. The peaceful atmosphere inside the church makes it a perfect place for reflection. A must-visit for anyone interested in history and architecture. The surrounding area is also great for photos!

Frederik’s Church, also known as The Marble Church, is one of the most beautiful landmarks in Copenhagen. Its impressive dome, inspired by St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome, is the largest church dome in Scandinavia. The foundation stone was laid in 1749 by King Frederik V, but due to financial difficulties the construction took more than 100 years and was finally completed in 1894. The church is free to enter, and the interior is just as breathtaking as the outside, with stunning marble details and a peaceful atmosphere. If you have the chance, climb up to the dome for an amazing panoramic view of the city. A must-visit if you are in Copenhagen!

The Fredrik Church is simply beautiful,. The architecture is stunning, with its striking baroque design and intricate details that immediately catch your eye. The atmosphere inside is calm, peaceful, and almost timeless, making it a perfect place to pause and reflect. The church stands proudly in the heart of Karlskrona and adds so much character to the square around it.

Stunning building, but better to visit when it's less busy Visited on Thursday, 31st July 2025, having been dropped off at the Kongens Nytorv square, we walked to Frederik's Church. Outside, it's a stunning-looking building, and the dome is so disproportionately large that it reminded me of St Paul's or St Peter's domes in London and Rome, but without the building under them. There was a queue to enter, which wasn't organised and was quite dangerous, especially as it was also the only way out. There were more entrance doors available on the other side. Once inside, the dome is spectacular, and you can see why it's so popular for weddings, but a bit like a lot of famous churches, it doesn't feel very holy or peaceful.
Jeffrey S — Google review
A simple church with a spectacular dome, free to enter and well worth taking a look. However I didn't find much that held my interest apart from the dome.

Plentiful market with a variety of different fresh foods and eats all in one area. It is very close to the Nørreport Station, making it really accessible and convenient. There are juice shops, fresh fruits and vegetables, fish, and much more. You can come here for local shopping or to eat some really good food. This place has really good ice cream and juice as well! Highly recommend visiting.

Lively market with lots of great food options! • Ma Poule – I had the Pluma Rossini. The foie gras paired with pork was absolutely delicious. Highly recommended! • Hallernes Smørrebrød – A great way to taste traditional Danish open-faced sandwiches. They offer different flavors, and I tried the smoked salmon and blue cheese. The presentation was beautiful and perfect for photos. • Hav – I tried their sashimi platter and oysters. Super fresh and tasty!

This was the standout attraction for us in our 4 day stay in Copenhagen, and we came here every morning for breakfast, stocked up on cheese and salads for lunch, dropped in for tea, coffee and pastries, and twice for dinner. There’s, a small, overpriced fruit and vegetable market between the two buildings, but the real stars here are the specialist stalls inside selling pastries, snacks, cheese and meats, fresh seafood, tea and coffee and just about anything else you can think of. It’s not the biggest food hall in Europe, so it’s easy to navigate, but every stall is a gem. A must visit, often, on any trip to Copenhagen.

TorvehallerneKBH is an amazing food market i the heart of Copenhagen! I visited looking for fresh stenbiderrogn (lumpfish roe), which is only available during the spring season. The vendors were friendly, knowledgeable, and gave great tips on how to enjoy the roe. I bought fresh roe and made a traditional Danish dish at home: small pancakes with a dollop of sour cream, finely chopped onion, and fresh roe on top. It was absolutely delicious - delicate, creamy, and festive. Perfect spot for anyone looking for high-quality seafood and traditional Danish delicacies. Highly recommend!

Copenhagen City Hall, completed in 1905, is a prominent landmark in Denmark located at the heart of the city. Inspired by the town hall in Siena, Italy, it features a richly decorated facade and houses Jens Olsen's World Clock. The building is designed in the National Romantic style using locally sourced materials like brick, wood, and granite. Visitors can take guided tours to explore its ornate architecture and historical significance.
This was so amazing to be standing outside this historic Copenhagen City Hall last month, which was built back in 1905 🇩🇰 Imagine our pleasant surprise for my wife and I when we were able to visit inside on a special occasion, thanks to the World Federation of Chiropractic Congress in Copenhagen. The interior was so beautiful 😍 Felt so privileged knowing that the government still meets regularly here. Thank you for preserving this building so well over the last century! 🙏🏻

One of my favorite places to photograph weddings in Copenhagen. The building has a real sense of grandeur, especially the main hall and the staircase — it gives a classic, elegant feel to the photos. In the warmer months, the garden is a great bonus. There’s a lovely fountain and quiet corners that work beautifully for portraits or just a quick breather for the couple. Also, if you’re interested in the history of the place, they offer free guided tours, which is a nice touch.

Copenhagen City Hall is a magnificent architectural landmark and a must-visit for anyone interested in history, design, or civic culture. Situated right in the heart of the city, this imposing building stands as a proud symbol of Danish municipal heritage and architectural grandeur. The City Hall is designed in the National Romantic style, heavily influenced by the Italian Renaissance but also rooted in Nordic tradition. Completed in 1905 by architect Martin Nyrop, the building features a distinctive red-brick façade, arched windows, golden accents, and a beautiful gilded statue of Absalon — the legendary founder of Copenhagen — above the main entrance. One of the most impressive features is the tower, soaring 105 meters high — one of the tallest in Copenhagen — and offering sweeping views of the city (when open to visitors). The intricate details of the interior are equally stunning, especially the grand atrium with its arched colonnades, marble floors, and Danish coats of arms. Visitors can also admire the famous Jens Olsen’s World Clock, a marvel of mechanical engineering and astronomical precision that draws enthusiasts from around the world. Even if you don't take a tour, the exterior alone is well worth admiring. The building fits beautifully into the historic cityscape, standing proudly on Rådhuspladsen (City Hall Square), where locals gather for public celebrations, events, and even political rallies.
Dmitry Z — Google review
It’s right in the city centre and free to check out. Pretty cool place—lots of people do wedding photo shoots there. The library was nice, but the real highlight for me was the clock on the ground floor. Don’t miss it. It was made by Jens Olsen and it’s not just a regular clock. It shows time, solar and lunar eclipses, positions of the planets, and has a perpetual calendar—kind of like the ancient Antikythera mechanism. The whole thing has over 15,000 parts. One gear turns every 10 seconds, and the slowest one only once every 25,753 years. And it only needs to be wound once a week. Crazy engineering.

We were on a long cruise thru the Baltic Sea and one of the stops was Copenhagen. It is a great city and very walkable. We self guided our all day tour using google maps and my research. We were able to see most of the historic sites as well as the tourist area by the water. We arrived in the vast open area in front of the City Hall. It is a beautiful and massive building. Built in 1905 I think.

Nestled in the picturesque Langelinie Park along the Osterbro harborfront, the Gefion Fountain is a stunning bronze masterpiece completed in 1908. This impressive fountain showcases the Norse goddess Gefion, who is depicted plowing with four mighty oxen. According to legend, she transformed her sons into these powerful creatures to carve out Zealand from Sweden's land.
A beautiful designed fountain right by a church and the harbour, not too busy despite a hot and sunny day, the sound of the water is soothing. The stature on the fountain is stunning with a great mythical story behind it - the creation of Zealand by the Norse goddess.
Jamie H — Google review
Ah, the Gefion Fountain! It's not just a fountain; it's a splashy, storytelling masterpiece right in the heart of Copenhagen. Forget your average, run-of-the-mill water feature—this one comes with a full-blown creation myth! You're not just looking at a beautiful bronze statue; you're witnessing the birth of an island, all thanks to a goddess and her four oxen. It's like a watery comic book come to life, and frankly, it's the best kind of public art. It perfectly captures that wonderful Copenhagen spirit of blending history, art, and public space into something truly special. A must-see for anyone who loves a good legend with their sightseeing!
Ali K — Google review
The Gefion Fountain is absolutely stunning and shouldn't be missed. It’s not just a static sculpture; it’s a powerful story brought to life in bronze and water. You can almost feel the raw energy as the goddess Gefion drives her formidable oxen forward. The scale is impressive, and the cascading water adds a dramatic flair that makes for incredible photos. It's perfectly located near the Kastellet and a lovely walk from The Little Mermaid, making it an essential part of any waterfront stroll in Copenhagen. A truly beautiful piece of art and mythology combined.
David B — Google review
The Gefion Fountain is one of Copenhagen’s most striking landmarks. The bronze figures and the powerful water flow create a dramatic scene, and its location between Kastellet and the harbor makes it a perfect stop on any walk. The story behind the sculpture is great to know, but even if you don’t know it, the fountain is just a beautiful place to pause and take in the surroundings.
Michael O — Google review
The Gefion Fountain isn’t your typical city fountain—it’s a dramatic blend of art, myth, and movement that instantly captures attention. Here, the Norse goddess Gefion is shown driving four powerful oxen, a scene tied to an old legend about the creation of Zealand, Denmark’s largest island. The energy of the bronze figures combined with the cascading water gives the whole monument a sense of life and motion. It’s more than a landmark—it’s a celebration of storytelling through sculpture, and a brilliant example of how Copenhagen weaves its history and folklore into the fabric of the city. A definite highlight for anyone exploring the capital.
Vidya H — Google review
One of the highlights of the trip for me. Sure, many cities have large fountains that become their calling card but very few allow visitors to get this close to the point where you can literally touch the water, should you wish. I do not think all of the jets were on when I visited but it must be quite the sight when that happens. Be sure to take your photo in front of the Norse gods, as the correct angle looks very impressive.
Andrew M — Google review
Fountain is majestic looking. From the top it has a different view as well as from the bottom. Take some time here to enjoy this marvel view. Water gashes out and the rippling nose makes it more magical.

St. Alban's Church, also known as the English Church, is a traditional Anglican church in Copenhagen that was consecrated in 1887. Designed by Arthur Blomfield in a distinct British Gothic Revival style, it features a beautiful tower with 15 bells and influences of Victorian architecture. The church has been serving the British-Anglican community in Copenhagen since its construction and remains one of the few churches offering services in English today.
St. Alban's Church is a truly beautiful and serene spot, nestled right between the Kastellet and the Gefion Fountain. With its striking English Gothic architecture and peaceful setting by the water, it feels like stepping into a little fairytale corner of the city. The surrounding area is just as lovely — green lawns, swans gliding on the lake, and views of the fortress and harbor. It’s a perfect stop on any Copenhagen walk. Highly recommend for architecture lovers, photographers, or anyone in need of a tranquil moment. Just wish the visiting hours were longer to go inside!

Step out into Radhuspladsen, Copenhagen's grand central square, and you'll find a place that feels both timeless and modern. The magnificent Copenhagen City Hall, with its intricate stonework and towering clock, evokes a sense of grandeur straight out of a fantasy novel. Adding to this magical atmosphere is one of my favourite features: the Dragon Fountain. Its design is truly mystical, looking like something pulled directly from a medieval tale. The dragons coiled around the basin and the figures battling them feel like a story carved in stone. Beyond the stunning architecture, the square itself is exceptionally clean and well-maintained, creating a welcoming atmosphere. It feels incredibly safe, and as the sun sets, the night view is simply beautiful, with the city lights illuminating the majestic buildings. Palads Teatret, also known as Palads, is a historic cinema located on Axeltorv street in Vesterbro, Copenhagen. The building's flamboyant pastel-colored facade of pink, purple, green and blue has made it a popular spot for Instagrammers and photography enthusiasts. Operated by Nordisk Film, Palads boasts 17 auditoriums offering a wide selection of films - the largest theater alone seats 689 people.
My hotel did not allow me extend my stay since they were fully booked. I walked around until I found the movies theater and I watched a very nice movie while waiting to leave for the airport. I was the only person in that movie but I loved it. Got popcorns and water. The water was very expensive. Much more than it's sold at the airport although the bottle is slightly bigger I'd say.

The overall experience makes it hard to believe that it is the same Nordic cinema. In comparison to Høje Taastrup's, the one in Palads needs an upgrade. The seats are spring-loaded and quite uncomfortable, some of the cinema halls' layouts are quite interesting. It's an okay place to watch a movie, but if you'd like full comfort, I would either make sure they have more comfortable halls or choose another location.

Initially skeptical about a free tour, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and depth of knowledge provided by local guides who are truly passionate about their city.
We had a really nice tour with Matt. He told us lots of interesting and funny stories about the city and its famous people throughout the history of Copenhagen. We were lucky to be just a small group of five people which made it easy for us to ask plenty of questions. It felt more likely a friend showing us around than a touristic standard tour. He showed us lots of little alleys and spots we’d never would have seen if we’d been by ourselves. He also showed us good spots for local food. We enjoyed the tour a lot and can recommend Matt and the free walking tour very much. Thanks for the wonderful time in Copenhagen.

Excellent tour, highly recommended. Wayne was very knowledgeable and the tour was a good pace. We saw lots of interesting things around Copenhagen including the advertised tourist elements. So pleased we did this tour. Thank you!

I loved loved loved the tour!! I’ve been to so many tours all around the world but have to say, Daniel did an outstanding job! (Of course this means that the guide Daniel spoke perfectly understandable English, was always guiding the group save and kind, mentioned so many interesting and also fun facts, recommendations, felt very authentic, honest … perfect!) This was the best tour ever. Thank you Daniel and all the best for you!

Loved this tour! It got us to all of the places we wanted to see and then gave us deeper information about them! Our guide, Rikke, was very kind and super knowledgeable. It poured rain throughout our whole tour (unsurprisingly) but she was always in good spirits! Plus she gave us a great list of recommendations at the end! We love a good free tour, and Copenhagen Free Walking Tours is doing a great job!

Great walking tour with Laura! Wonderful mix of Copenhagen’s history, Danish culture, and local recommendations. I did the 9:30 walking tour on a Monday so many of the popular tourist spots were not that crowded either.

Excellent tour from Rikke (sorry if I spelt that wrong) on the Mermaid and Harbour trip. I learnt a lot and have some further reading to do at a later date, always a good sign. I was provided two excellent recommendations, Torvehallerne for some food and Cinemateket for a free view of the city with a bar to enjoy a drink at. Would recommend this company to others.

I loved the Grand Tour of Copenhagen that I did with Martin on a Sunday morning. He’s an excellent and funny guide who speaks perfectly English. He tells interesting stories from the past and from the present. Meeting point is at the City Hall, people are divided in 3 groups, depending on the language, and go with a different a guide. My group, including children, took around 2h30 and ended at Amalienborg, with the change of guard after noon. It was an enriched morning thanks to Martin.

Nyboder is a charming historic district in Copenhagen, Denmark, featuring rows of distinctive yellow and orange houses dating back to the 17th and 18th centuries. Initially built by Christian IV to house Danish Navy personnel and their families, these homes have retained their exclusive atmosphere over the years. The area is highly sought after, making it difficult to secure a home without connections.
A historic part of the city worth the visit. For a very modic price there is a small house that is preserved and gives you the chance to travel back in time and understand how life was being part of the navy.

An interesting area of Copenhagen to have a look at the housing architecture. The houses were all built for military personnel. The jewel in the crown is the folk museum that opens on Sundays between 11am and 2pm. Run by very knowledgeable volunteers it shows what like was like for people in the navy years ago. Very cheap to visit and an absolute must if you like social history.

Nyboder (English: New [small] Houses) is a historic row house district of former Naval barracks in Copenhagen, Denmark. It was planned and first built by Christian IV to accommodate a need for housing for the personnel of the rapidly growing Royal Danish Navy and their families during that time. While the area is still commonly associated with the name of its founder as one of his numerous building projects around Copenhagen, the Nyboder seen today was in fact, except for a single row of houses in Sankt Pauls Gade, built from 1757.

My tour guide Sandra was amazing. She arrived on time for the start of our tour. She introduced herself and then explained our tour itinerary. It was like visiting a friend in a new City. Very relaxed and I learnt so much about the neighbourhood. We could've talked for hours. I highly recommend taking the Norrebo walking tour.

It's a must. We were lucky to meet Theresa & have a full day tour of the beautiful København city. Theresa was fun, full of knowledge & was able to answer our questions. We've had tours on 5 continents & today's with Theresa was possibly the best we've ever had. Copenhagen is such a beautiful city and Theresa brought the history of the Kings, Queens, Buildings, Parks, Statues, Food, Architecture, Art, it's waterways and military record alive. We shared some whacky stories about types of food that most tourists would never normally hear. The reason houses and shops were painted in a particular colour was fascinating. We had several lovely local snacks along the way. It was a true pleasure to spend the day with Theresa & her generosity of time & knowledge will never be forgotten.

I went on the Hygge walking tour hosted by Oskar last week and it was absolutely brilliant. It was lovely to meet the other people on the tour and we had great conversations along the way. Oskar is very knowledgeable and as well as information about the city he also gave me recommendations on where to find good vegan restaurants. I booked very last minute as I wasn’t sure about a couple of things, but Mie replied to my email in less than 5 minutes and I booked on straight away. I highly recommend this walking tour and would absolutely do it again if I am lucky enough to return to beautiful Copenhagen! Thank you 🙂

Our guide Kenneth was fantastic. He brought us to 3 different bars (plus a bonus market to get a "walking beer" because we told him that drinking on the street where we are from is illegal and he felt we needed to have a new experience. We did not protest). All of the bars had their own personality and their own beer vibe. Sitting down with a local and having a conversation over a beer was a great way to actually learn about not only where you are, but the people. Kenneth was a wealth of knowledge about the area and a pretty awesome guy. This tour, and Kenneth in particular, gets 5 stars from me!

"The Little Mermaid" is a renowned statue in Copenhagen, Denmark, inspired by Hans Christian Andersen's famous tale. The sculpture depicts the mermaid sacrificing everything to be with the prince she loves on land. Crafted by Edvard Eriksen and donated by Carl Jacobsen, it stands as one of the city's most popular attractions. This iconic landmark draws numerous visitors to admire its representation of love and sacrifice from the beloved fairy tale.
First me and my friends walked into the shop wanting to buy some candy then the shop owner told us we should leave if we weren’t buying anything. After that we get a little angry. So we look around the shop wondering what to buy and 1 minute after walking into the shop she tells us to leave. Worst service I’ve ever experienced

The Church of Our Saviour is a stunning 17th-century Baroque place of worship located in Copenhagen. Its impressive Dutch Baroque architecture features a golden spire and a singing bell tower, adorned with vibrant red and yellow tiles. The church offers one of the best viewpoints in the city, with outstanding panoramic views from the top of its spire. Visitors can embark on an exciting excursion by climbing narrow winding stairs to reach the summit, where they can enjoy breathtaking vistas across Copenhagen.
Brilliant experience walking up the tower. Be aware that some of the steps are very steep and with limited handrails. The view from the top however is spectacular, offering a panorama of the whole of Copenhagen. Tickets must be booked in advance and you will get a time to go up the tower. The inside of the church is also beautiful with a spectacular pipe organ.
Alex M — Google review
The Church of Our Saviour is one of Copenhagen’s most famous landmarks and a must-visit if you enjoy history, architecture, and incredible city views. The church itself is beautiful, with a striking baroque interior, but the real highlight is climbing the tower. The spiral staircase on the outside of the spire takes you up high above the city, and the views from the top are absolutely stunning, stretching across Copenhagen and even out to Sweden on a clear day. The climb is steep and narrow in places, and the final stretch on the outside can feel a bit dizzying if you’re not great with heights, but the reward at the top is well worth the effort. It’s best to go on a clear day to really appreciate the panoramic view. The tower can get busy, so going early or outside peak hours makes the experience more enjoyable. Overall, the Church of Our Saviour is an unforgettable stop in Copenhagen. Whether for its history, its unique architecture, or the breathtaking views from the tower, it’s an experience that leaves a lasting impression.

Absolutely breathtaking experience! The Church of Our Saviour is not only a beautiful piece of architecture, but also offers one of the very best views of Copenhagen. The spiral staircase up the tower is a little challenging, but that only makes reaching the top more rewarding. Standing outside on the winding staircase with the city right beneath your feet feels magical. You can see all of Copenhagen – from the canals and colorful houses to the modern skyline. Totally worth the climb, and a must-visit spot if you want a unique perspective of the city!
Kalina M — Google review
Beautiful place! Climbing to the top and amdiring views of the city is one of the nicest experiences in Copenhagen. Important note - there is not only a lot of stairs to the top, but in some moments it's narrow and steep stairs. So it's not so easy to get there, but really worth to visit.
Patrycja Z — Google review
Church of Our Saviour – Copenhagen A stunning baroque church with one of the best panoramic views in Copenhagen. The highlight is the climb to the top via a unique external spiral staircase—fun and adventurous, but not for the faint-hearted. With over 400 steps, it’s a bit of a workout, and the narrow, winding paths can be challenging for anyone with vertigo. Entry costs €8, and it's well worth it for the view alone.
Mark H — Google review
Climbing up requires tickets. The views are awesome but not suitable for those w fear of heights. The stairs get narrow as you go higher. Good experience. Good views. Lots of climbing.
Simon A — Google review
So, the most visited church in Copenhagen 😀. Yes, it is old and yet most of us came here to walk the stairs to the top 😀. 400 step. The first 300+ is inside , wooden and pretty steep. Then , you go outside and continue around the tower, climbing the external stairs. Its actually easier outside than inside until you get closer to the top where stairs become very narrow and finally closed for further trip. Great views ! Great adrenaline ! Book your slot to climb online in advance during holiday season. Aha, it will be closed when it rains so do not go if you see showers outside your windows.
Jacek M — Google review
I visited only the tower... What a view - just make sure you don't suffer from vertigo and can move agile... The view is spectacular but it's really narrow up there. You might wanna go for sunset. We didn't have wind when I was there but I assume once there is... It's not very hygge...

Copenhagen Central Station is a bustling hub located near the famous Tivoli Gardens and Hotel Nebo. The station offers easy access to various attractions such as the City Hall, Planetarium, and Stroget shopping street. Inside, you'll find a rustic interior with a good selection of shops and concession stands. Staff are known for being extremely helpful, making it easy to navigate through the station and purchase items like the Rejsekort travel card from DSB Train Tickets & Service office.
With National Romantic and Historicist styles, the Copenhagen Central Station was designed by famous Danish architect Heinrich Wenck, known for the numerous railway stations he designed as chief architect for the Danish State Railways from 1894 to 1921. The station building opened in 1911 and has seven platforms and 13 tracks. It is a continuation of the first station in Copenhagen, which opened in 1847

Copenhagen Central Station History & Architecture The current station, opened on 1 December 1911, was designed by architect Heinrich Wenck in the National Romantic style, featuring red brick, sandstone, timber, an iconic clock tower (~43 m high), and a grand concourse with vaulted ceilings and large windows . It is the third station on this site—the first opened in 1847 and the second in 1864—but current building remains prominent today . Originally arrivals and departures were separated; this division was first bridged in 1934 and entirely removed in the 1980s, including removal of the original baggage island and chandeliers (only two remain) . Layout & Services The station has 7 platforms and 13 tracks. Six island platforms serve InterCity/regional/international trains (tracks 1–8) and commuter S-trains (tracks 9–12). A separate track 26 (and future track 27) lies ~200 m south for Swedish connections . An underground Metro station (lines M3 & M4) is directly connected, while S-train platforms are partially below street level under Tietgensgade . Train operators: DSB (national), SJ (Swedish high-speed), and Øresundståg regional services to Sweden, plus routes to Hamburg and beyond . Facilities & Amenities The Hovedbanens Shoppingcenter—in the restored column hall—hosts over 30 shops and fast-food outlets including 7-Eleven, Espresso House, Joe & The Juice, Sunset Boulevard, supermarket, pharmacy, and currency exchange . The station also offers: ticket offices, lost & found, post office, luggage lockers, baby-changing rooms, restrooms and showers, travel assistance services, and tourist information . Accessibility: elevators, escalators, ramps, and assistance services for passengers with reduced mobility . Connections & Location Located between Indre By and Vesterbro, directly across Tivoli Gardens, with entrances on Banegårdspladsen, Bernstorffsgade, Reventlowsgade, and platform access at Tietgensgade/Tietgensbroen . Regular bus routes (A‑buses, S‑buses, N‑night buses) serve the area, along with a taxi rank and nearby bike rental/docking stations . Hotel Astoria, an architecturally notable functionalist building evoking a steam locomotive, sits above the station’s northern end near the Reventlowsgade entrance . Ongoing Modernisation In a 2025 initiative led by Artelia and Gottlieb Paludan Architects, historic entrances (like Reventlowsgade staircase) have been restored and renovated for improved safety and accessibility. From 2026, a larger station hall transformation will reorganize retail and travel spaces to enhance passenger flow while preserving heritage features . Honestly, the station looks nice and is super central, so it’s really convenient for getting around Copenhagen. But… I wasn’t blown away by the vibe inside. It felt a bit hectic and kind of crowded, nothing too special. Still, it gets the job done if you need to catch a train or grab something quick nearby. Definitely better for a quick stop than a place to hang out.

Assistens Cemetery, established in 1760, is not just a burial site but also a cultural center and a beautiful park. The more than 250-year-old cemetery features tree-lined pathways, rhododendron bushes, and ancient tombs that create a tranquil and cheerful atmosphere. Visitors can stroll through the lush green gardens while paying respects to some of Copenhagen's most famous citizens like Soren Kierkegaard and Hans Christian Andersen.
A peaceful and beautiful cemetery that is the burial place of many famous Danish people. The cemetery is split into sections that are alphabetically labeled. There are maps throughout to help you find your way around. The maps, also, list where the location of the famous burial places. There are hard surface paths around the cemetery. However, many plots require you to go down dirt paths. These are muddy and slippery in bad weather, so ensure you are wearing suitable footwear. The site is accessible to people who use a wheelchair or have mobility issues. You would have to decide on an individual basis whether to go off track as that would be dependent on weather and the lack of space between graves in some areas. There are toilets in the cemetery. I did not use them, but I was informed that they are accessible.

This is a beautiful and peaceful place to walk, especially on sunny days. It feels more like a quiet park than a cemetery. Many people come with their families or as couples, and you often see others riding bikes or having a picnic on the grass. The paths are wide and shaded, and the atmosphere is calm and inviting. It is also a place of cultural and historical importance, where you can find the graves of well-known Danish writers, scientists, and other prominent figures. A special spot where everyday life and history gently come together.
David — Google review
If you’re looking for a dramatic cemetery, this isn’t the place. It is a lovely, park-like atmosphere, with many famous graves. However, all of the “famous” headstones seem to be recent replacements, which really saps the historical element. The paths where biking is allowed are clearly marked. Don’t trust Google Maps bike directions, which kept sending us on non-biking paths. It also kept showing us exits that weren’t open.

Børsen, also known as the Exchange Building or Børsbygningen, is a 17th-century waterfront structure located next to Christiansborg Palace in central Copenhagen. This imposing former stock exchange was completed between 1619-1640 and showcases Dutch Renaissance architecture. The building's most striking feature is its spire, adorned with intricate carvings of dragons wrapping around the tower.

It's not easy to write this review, first of all the food was good the service as well and the restaurant was nicely decorated. However it's lacking the details to receive 5 stars. For example they where unable to turn the heater off outside in the middle of the summer. The restaurant inside was almost empty but they places us next to the entrance of the bathroom. Besides that the food was well prepared very French way that seem to be popular in copenhagen.

The opera house is grand and magnificent. We watched Puccini’s Madama Butterfly, and it was absolutely amazing!!The performance team and soloists gave us an incredibly high-quality show.

The Royal Danish Theatre (Det Kongelige Teater) in Copenhagen is not only a beautiful landmark with its classical architecture, dome, and charming garden full of flowers, but also the perfect starting point for exploring the city. Just in front stands the impressive equestrian statue of King Christian IX, adding to the grandeur of the square. From here begins Strøget, one of the longest pedestrian shopping streets in Europe. It’s a lively avenue where you can find everything from luxury boutiques and international brands to cozy Danish design shops, street performers, and plenty of cafés to relax in. The atmosphere is vibrant both day and night, making it a must-see for anyone visiting Copenhagen. Along Strøget you’ll also come across interesting attractions, such as the Guinness World Records Museum, where you can see fascinating exhibits and life-size figures showcasing some of the most extraordinary records ever achieved. It’s a fun stop, especially if you’re exploring with family or friends. All in all, starting your walk from the Royal Theatre and heading down Strøget gives you a wonderful mix of culture, shopping, and entertainment—one of the best ways to experience the heart of Copenhagen.

I took the guided tour for DKK150, and it was absolutely worth it to see behind the scenes of the historic theatre. Rather than a dry and rote tour, I could feel the passion our guide had for the theatre and the entire tour was light hearted, fun and educational. Due to ongoing rehearsals, we had the chance to see the flower and accessory workshop instead and it was absolutely amazing. Do take the tour if you have the chance.

We went to see "Amadeus" and we do really recommend it if you speak Danish. The actors were amazing, the play is very well structured and we did really enjoy how well it is being performed. Very much recommended if you pass by to CPH to see if there is any play you can attend.

If i could I would give the university 0 because of the incredible inhospitable and mean employees & staff. I am a new student and don't know perhaps as much as native danes. My studentcard did not arrive for about a month which was a challenge due to the fact that a lot of the facilities demands a card. I traveled to about 3-4 university office buildings all around Copenhagen because each one could not figure out where my student ID card was and kept refering me to the other. At the end of the day the boss of IT said to me that the external company must have done something wrong with my card and misplaced it. He said that i have to order a new one and wait up to a 2 weeks for it to arrive. That means I have been without a card for almost 2 months due to KU incompentence. He advised me to talk to student office at the entrance regarding a temporary guest card they usually give out. The danish women working there was one of the rudest people i have ever met. She talked down to me and said I quote " That is not my problem. You lost your card and this is denmark. Its your responsibilty". I emphasized that Copenhagen University misplaced my card and that the boss of IT said that I could get a guest card so i could get into the required facilities needed for my studies. I showed the evidence and emails to her which proved that the university was at fault. NOT ME! She refused to listen to me or help me and made yet another rascist remark. I have studied in a lot of universities and never had such a horrible experience!

The Lakes in Copenhagen is a series of three artificial lakes located in Downtown Copenhagen, offering picturesque walking paths along their shores. Nearby, Frederiksberg Garden features the Copenhagen Zoo and a charming playground designed to harmonize with its romantic surroundings. Visitors can also explore the infamous Pacifier tree where toddlers bid farewell to their pacifiers forever. Families often enjoy strolling or biking around The Lakes, feeding swans and ducks while visiting mini parks nearby.
The scenery was absolutely breathtaking, and the walking trails were well-maintained and provided a peaceful atmosphere for a leisurely stroll. There were plenty of benches to sit and soak in the views. For tourists, it's a place where you just catch a beauty of sight and relax yourself for a few minutes. And for a resident, just burn you calories with cinematic view.

A visit to Copenhagen should include a Walk along the lakes. They are one reason Copenhagen is beautiful city. On a sunny day it’s full of couples kissing on the benches, joggers and parents with baby pram. The Lakes (Danish: Søerne) in Copenhagen, Denmark is a row of three rectangular lakes curving around the western margin of the City Centre, forming one of the oldest and most distinctive features of the city's topography. Originally the area, which the lakes now form, was one long stream. It had an arch shape and was just outside the city levees. In the early Middle Ages, a need of water for watermills was determined. As a result of this a dam was built and the Peblinge Sø was created. As a result of a siege of Copenhagen in 1523, it was decided to expand the entrenchments in order to improve the fortifications of the city. The levee at Peblinge Sø was expanded and another was created, which resulted in the creation of Sortedams Sø. In the beginning of the 16th century, Sankt Jørgens Sø was created, by further damming. This made it possible to flood the banks and lakes in case of an attack.

This is the place where Copenhageners spend their office breaks and free time. Activities include running, chatting, cycling, and strolling with a 47 Kroner To-Go-Coffee while showing off their latest outfit. However, The Lakes is also a bird sanctuary. In March 2023, I observed Tufted Ducks, Great Crested Crapes, Herring Gulls, A colony of breeding Cormorants (on the tiny island) Common Moorhens, a Red-crested Pochard, Wigeons, Mute Swans, Gadwalls, Mallards, Blach-headed Gulls, Greylag Geese, and Coots.

Me and my other Danish friends came here during the Napoleonic wars for a nice walk. Little did we know there were zombjes all over the place, we then got a bucket and put the fire out since the city was literally on fire. After that we got on a boat. There were zombies swimming and getting on. Our buddies defeated them and we then fought a British fleet, successfully sinking it and we win!

Nestled beneath the surface of one of Copenhagen's charming canals lies the enchanting "Agnete and the Merman" statue, a captivating bronze creation by Danish sculptor Suste Bonnen. This artwork draws inspiration from a beloved folk tale about Agnete, who finds herself torn between her love for a merman and her earthly life.
What an unusual find in Copenhagen. Came across it while geocaching. Almost looks alive in the right light. Loved finding this!
Richard M — Google review
I liked these statues and the story behind them. It did take a while to spot them as it was raining heavily, and the water was churning. There was a few minutes respite, and they appeared. They are accessible to people who use a wheelchair
Shelley C — Google review
Agnete & the Merman is one of those quirky little things in Copenhagen that you’ll likely miss if you’re not specifically looking for it. Submerged beneath the surface of a canal near the Højbro Bridge, the bronze sculptures tell the haunting story of a merman and his seven sons, reaching out to Agnete, begging her to return to the sea. It’s based on a traditional Danish folk tale and sculpted by Suste Bonnen. Honestly, it’s a little underwhelming—mostly because it’s literally underwater and quite easy to overlook. But once you spot it, there's something a bit magical and melancholy about it. Worth a quick detour if you’re in the area and up for a small scavenger hunt. Just don’t expect something grand or obvious—this one’s for the eagle-eyed explorers!
Celine L — Google review
Not very well advertised and hard to see in the water but an interesting little spot to stop anyway.

Interesting and unusual sight - if you don`t know about it you`ll probably miss it. There is a sign on the wall for the boats and in the evening you can see a light in the water. Actually it is easier to see it in the dark.

Frederiksberg Gardens, located in the heart of Frederiksberg, is a sprawling green oasis surrounding an 18th-century palace. The English-style landscaped gardens feature canals, lakes, hidden pathways, and surprises like an elephant exhibit along one of the trails. In summer, it's a popular spot for locals to picnic and enjoy outdoor activities while in winter, visitors can ice skate on the lake.
I haven’t been to a park lime this since childhood. While I walked the path, the manicured grass, carefully prepped trees and picturesque lakes with swans and ducks brought me back to my childhood. This park had a section where mother nature took care of itself whole another section was taken care by humankind. Park had benches, toilets and a small place to grab a drink or icecream. It had all kind of summer funs too. We simply loved our time here while walking up to the castle.

Ørestad is a clean and efficient transportation hub with fast trains connecting to Copenhagen. However, it lacks adequate wind shelters, so travelers are advised to dress appropriately for potential wait times. The station is straightforward and serves its purpose well, although some suggest upgrading the ticket machine and adding more rain and wind shelters. It's conveniently located opposite the Field Shopping mall but can feel cold during winter. Overall, Ørestad station provides a good and clean travel experience for visitors.
Clean, efficient, well signposted and with fast trains into Copenhagen. Word of warning, it has few places to keep out of the wind which rattles through the station, so check how long you're going to wait and dress accordingly.

Importance: Purchase your ticket from the official Skånetrafiken App. in advance. Activate the ticket to obtain a QR code before boarding- No hassel. Check-in and check-out are for users with season tickets.
Edward T — Google review
Simple, striaghtforward, efficient and no frills. The ticket machine could probably stand to be upgraded and a few other rain and wind shelters added, but other than that the station perfectly serves it's purpose.
Ian M — Google review
Cold during winter and if you want to go back to Sweden, you cant buy a ticket here. Otherwise it's a pretty decent train station.
Gustav J — Google review
The scheduled train is delayed for 22 minutes already and still keeping on delay. Funnily.
A. S — Google review
If you are not from here you will struggle finding the tiny signs from the metro to the trains. Should be improved!
Marcus S — Google review
The station is opposite to the Field Shopping mall.

Good and clean. But cold during winter! :)

The Foods of Copenhagen tour is a fantastic way to explore the culinary delights of the city. The experience is highly customizable, catering to individual food preferences and sensitivities. In addition to the delicious food, the knowledgeable guides provide insights into the city's history and its various neighborhoods. The tour includes a wide range of food samples, from traditional dishes to innovative preparations, accompanied by local drinks such as sparkling teas, beer, and schnapps.
My wife and I had a fantastic food tour with Lisa in early December. Lisa's communication before, during, and after our tour was excellent. During the tour, we learned about the food of Copenhagen as well as some history, which was great. We especially appreciated Lisa's custom map and further recommendations. We also ate at two great restaurants for dinner that were recommended by Lisa and booked well in advance of our arrival. Highly highly recommend touring with Lisa and Foods of Copenhagen if you have the chance!

Lisa was wonderful. From booking the tour to arriving at our door to begin the 4 hour tour. She gave us a lesson on both the food, culture and history of Copenhagen. Before arriving in Denmark, Lisa help guide me with suggestions on places to make reservations for our week in Copenhagen. I would highly recommend taking a tour with Lisa and booking The Foods Of Copenhagen. Thank you Lisa for a great experience and introduction to your lovely city.

We did a private culinary bike tour for myself and my niece. From my initial contact via email all the way through to the finish of our tour , they were incredible to deal with. Our host, Lisa, on the day was such a delight and so kind. We loved that she came to our hotel and started the tour from there. She gave us great tips on the etiquette of riding a bike through Copenhagen. And then of course the food stops! The tour was curated to our taste with an incredible mix of gastro delights while riding through Copenhagen and experiencing the beauty and diversity of this beautiful city. We loved meeting some chefs also who were equally as delightful and clearly passionate about what they do. Lisa was so patient and so kind in providing heaps of tips and local knowledge to my niece who will be spending some time studying in Copenhagen It was an experience we will never forget and worth every cent!!!! Thanks Lisa and Lena

Lisa was an amazing guide sharing the story of Copenhagen through the gastronomy, history and culture of the city. It was a great mix of traditional and new-age stops. We wandered through the city and got great insight into iconic restaurants. Lisa is incredibly knowledgable, kind and openly wants to share the great food of her city. I highly recommend booking a private tour with her.

Lisa is the best!!! Our food tour of Copenhagen was absolutely the highlight of our two week trip around Scandinavia. Lisa is so knowledge about the city and super fun to hang with for a few hours. We ate so much - cheese, smørrebrød, pastries, beer and MORE somehow. I'm so glad we canceled our dinner reservation for later that night because this was SO WORTH IT. Thanks Lisa!!

If you want a GREAT culinary tour with an amazing guide, this is the one. Lisa was terrific, explaining all kinds of things and bringing us to local places you would likely never go. We enjoyed every minute riding through the city and all the stops along the way. HIGHLY recommended!!!

Had a wonderful time touring with Lisa. She curated a very personalized and thoughtful tour for us and we enjoyed every bit of it. She also has a great personality and energy she brings to the tour so it was not only informative but a very fun experience for us. Best tour we had during the week we were there!

The Institute of Wonder offers an exciting and fun experience for exploring cities through puzzle walks. The puzzle walks are beautifully designed with clever and elaborate riddles, making it enjoyable for adults while still engaging for children. Participants can bond with friends or family, solve mysteries, and discover new aspects of the city. The concept provides a great balance between learning about the city and having fun solving puzzles. It's a unique way to see familiar spots in a different light and create memorable experiences with loved ones.
My partner and I did the puzzle walk around Christiania and it was so much fun! Can definitely recommend - there were some easy and many difficult riddles. Perfect level 😄 Also, great that the set is a hard copy without using any app; we can all use some offline time for once!

We just did the Assintens Kirkegård puzzle walk this morning and it was so much fun. Beautifully done, super clever and neatly designed. Definitely too elaborate for our 7 and 9 year olds but they still celebrated the successes and enjoyed reading the clues, listening to some of the stories and looking at the illustrations in the book and map. And we parents had a lot of fun! Not cheap but well worth it, it's a job well done. It would make for a memorable gift as well.
Macarena B — Google review
Brilliant concept and lovely service minded people. Discover Copenhagen, bond with friends, solve mysteries and puzzles... What not to like. I will strongly suggest that if you have half a day free to do a walk from wonder pug.

Amazing concept and great execution! Great balance between learning about the city and solving some puzzles (we went on a test for the Christiania walk).
