Brunch restaurant
Breakfast restaurant
Cafe
Located in the lively Norrebro district of Copenhagen, Sidecar NORREBRO is a popular spot for breakfast and brunch. The cafe offers an extensive menu featuring both sweet and savory dishes, including the famous Brunch Board with Danish bacon and sausages, as well as a Vegan Board with innovative meat-free options. Freshly made sandwiches and baked goods are also available throughout the day.
This place serves a solid brunch with good food and a nice atmosphere. It is worth booking in advance. A couple of things to note. The menu says the pork sausage has beef but it is actually only pork confirmed by staff. There was also some confusion. One waiter said hot dish refills were included while another said they were not, which made things a bit awkward. A bit of menu cleanup and clearer staff communication would improve the experience. Still, we enjoyed it overall.
David — Google review
Just perfect for brunch! Very affordable and with a great value. You get to select a handful of things off the menu and you also have access to the buffet. Exceptional food! The rice pudding is amazing!! It was pretty crowded even mid week so recommend you book in advance.
Fredrik — Google review
best value tasting menu dinner in Copenhagen! super fresh and high quality creative dishes for a reasonable price (270/person for 8 courses). all you can eat brunch is also amazing.
Vlad I — Google review
They have a great brunch concept with a wide variety of small dishes that you can take from the big table in the middle of the room as an all you can take buffet and a menu where you can choose 4 family style dishes. When we received the 4 small dishes we were told we had a refill on those but then when we asked our waiter for the additional items we were told that was an old rule, so it would be good to have that clarified among the staff. Regardless we were overall happy with the experience and definitely recommend trying out for yourself.
Tato — Google review
4+. A date with a friend on a bustling Friday evening, this place was really a good setup for a nice time. We opted for the 8-course menu, one vegan and one pescatarian, and paired with a nice bottle of wine (the one item that brought the final bill up). The food was really good, it is not meant to be gourmet or high end, but it still delivers in terms of flavors and presentation. Our waiter was really nice, and his service was attentive but not intrusive. The price of the set menu (270 DKK) is excellent given the service and the dishes that were offered. Looking forward to another visit, maybe for brunch!
Matteo B — Google review
Amazing brunch place! My husband and I went here for his birthday and they had a delicious buffet spread in addition to the scrambled eggs and deliciousness in this picture! We got the waffle, mushrooms, sweet potatoes, and bacon. Friendly service and cool vibes too.
Christina J — Google review
We got the iced coffee only as we were walking around and just needed a cool place to take a beat, their brunch menu looks awesome
Mariah J — Google review
One of the best brunches in Copenhagen! It has everything you’d expect from a great brunch… and so much more. It’s a perfect blend of the classic brunch buffet and the more modern “customize your own brunch” concept. You can choose five items from the menu and take the rest from the buffet. I’m usually not a big fan of buffets, but this is a great way to do it—especially because the buffet is designed so you can take small portions of what you want, rather than the typical buffet style where everyone serves themselves from the same large plates. You can order classic brunch items like eggs, bacon, beans, tomatoes, yogurt with granola, waffles, and cheese. But there are also less traditional options, like rice pudding, various salads, and a wide selection of Middle Eastern inspired dishes. Side car is also super cozy and very popular so make sure to book a table in advance. The only thing that would make this brunch even better is more fresh fruit!

Situated on Vaernedamsvej in Copenhagen, Granola is a popular Scandinavian cafe known for its cozy and elegant ambiance. The cafe offers a variety of brunch options, including the big breakfast plate with eggs, ham, cheese, granola, and fruit or the sweet breakfast plate featuring pancakes, pastries, and fruit. Guests can also enjoy coffee or juice with their meal or opt for a refreshing Bloody Mary.
Nice atmosphere in a very cozy street 🥰Simple, but elegant, delicious and light food 😇 Very happy about service - didn’t have to wait too long and girls came just when we needed them to be there! Don’t see that too often in Copenhagen.
Ksenia Z — Google review
This place has a nice online branding, thanks to a good design agency, but the reality is disappointing. The food is bland, basic, and overpriced for what it is. The restaurant was uncomfortably cold the entire time, and getting the waiters' attention was nearly impossible. I wouldn’t recommend dining here. Like the "grilled banana bread with blue poppy seeds and butterscotch caramel sauce," for example—sounds intriguing on paper, but in reality, it’s absolutely disappointing.
Georgiana I — Google review
Loved the place! Great old french cafe vibe. Service was outstanding. Thank you, Liva! Scrambled eggs were excellent. The yogurt bowl was v good. Coffee great. Overall, I was delighted to have visited. ( the prettiest server in Copenhagen, from all places I visited, was here!)
Ravi C — Google review
Came here for lunch with friends, we sat outside and the vibe was lovely. The food was amazing, so fresh; the portions were good and the spicy margaritas were the best. It’s a little pricey but normal for Copenhagen.
Honor C — Google review
Really lovely atmosphere and food. The venue is very lowly lit, but that creates such a nice space. The service was fantastic, the only problem was the price. Super expensive. The hot chocolate with whipped cream was amazing as was the americano coffee. Overall great place just way too expensive.
Nicholas G — Google review
Unfortunately, this place has lost all its charm. The menu is now very limited, the food is mediocre and served long after it’s made so it’s cold. The coffee is subpar and the service is unfriendly. We had made a reservation, but were thrown out after only one hour due to waiting people. Price for breakfast for 4 pax was around $100 🙀
Anita M — Google review
Granola felt like stepping into a nostalgic café tucked in a Parisian‑inspired street in Copenhagen. The retro decor which is complete with enamel signs, a vintage coffee mill, and soft tunes from the ’50s had me smiling with charm I arrived for a brunch after wandering through Værnedamsvej, and the experience was cozy and comforting. The cappuccino was smooth with a gentle balance of foam and coffee, while the breakfast spread- warm rye bread, eggs, cheese, and fresh juice felt both familiar and effortlessly European. Service was friendly if notably slow during the busy morning hours. The food hit the spot & the relaxed vibe and nostalgic surroundings made it a perfect spot to slow down for a quiet meal.
Raj P — Google review
The ambiance is nice but we didn’t have the best time here in Granola. It was very hard to get the attention of the wait staff and it took us a long time to even get some water. The variety in the lunch menu is not very satisfying and sadly the brunch is over at 12, which is a bit early for weekends imo. We ordered the avocado on rye bread and an omelette with ham & cheese. The omelette was good but the avocado toast was not the best. Right after we were done with our food, the staff told us that we need to get the bill and vacate the table as they had another reservation soon. This wasn’t nice, as we spent most of our time here waiting and were expected to leave right after we finished our plates. Not a good experience.

Cadence is a trendy brunch spot and bakery located in the progressive neighborhood of Carlsberg Byen, on the border between Vesterbro and Carlsberg Byen. The cafe offers Aussie-inspired brunch dishes such as smashed avocado toast, sweet potato hotcakes, and grilled polenta. You can also grab freshly baked bread, pastries, cookies, or lattes to-go from their in-house bakery.
Had the salmon and the Benedict. Well prepared. The green smoothie is bit pricey but worth every krone. Loved it. Staff most friendly and competent that we met in Cph for a very long time. May this never change.
Else-Marie N — Google review
Every aspect of this place is underwhelming. We were so let down :( It seems there isn’t much care put into anything, with the exception of the barista, who made a lovely flat white. We didn’t feel very welcome and got our drinks after our food. A highlight was ad libitum water for free.
Annika T — Google review
Why this restaurant has 4.2 ratings? Its straight 5/5. If you are in Copenhagen, must try this. Much better than many hyped places. Staff was friendly and hosted us like family. Bit on expensive side but worth every penny.
FAHAD A — Google review
I have visited Cadence for brunch severL times. Just great, I can recommend. 🤩 Had crumpet with extra poached egg and avocado toast. Coffee is good too (only one minus they don’t have low fat milk, only full fat and alternative). To be seated inside during weekends usually the reservation is needed, outside is more flexible.
Aytaj A — Google review
Aussie inspired and you can tell! The coffee is the best I’ve had since moving here. Serving sizes are super generous, and the service is top tier. Can also recommend the sourdough pizzas if you’re feeling dinner!
Kate C — Google review
I have tried coming here before, but we found it full without reservation so decided to come for brunch by last day in Copenhagen. And OMG I had Turkish eggs and I think it was best thing I had in Copenhagen over a week stay - and needless to say everything else was already top notch. Service could be slightly more attentive, but again that’s something I experienced overall in here - I wouldn’t say any of places had high standard in that - staff is inattentive and just does the bare minimum in that sense. But overall amazing food experience
Marzena K — Google review
Delicious! Great start to the day. Make a reservation for brunch! Every seat is taken but the vibe is still low key, relaxed and calm.
Christine M — Google review
I spend a slow morning here as it was recommended by a friend. I had the classic BMO and a matcha latte. The latter I was quite disappointed with as I had high expectations for ceremonial grade matcha. Moments after I had my first sip it realised the brand of matcha they use. For that specific brand, I didn’t expect to pay 70kr for a cup - and wouldn’t recommend it. The bun with cheese (and the butter) was very delicious. 😋 I can definitely recommend that! The vibe of the place reminded me of cafes in Australia. It was a lovely reminder of my travels Down Under. I will try the flat white next time I visit. ☕️

Next Door Cafe is a charming spot in Copenhagen, Denmark that offers simple yet delicious food. The cafe's eclectic decor features gothic touches like skulls, flowers, and quirky trinkets. Antique glass-topped tables and display cabinets filled with old tickets add to the cafe's quirky atmosphere. Visitors can enjoy a variety of breakfast options such as raspberry pancakes, scrambled eggs, fresh bacon, and breakfast sandwiches served in freshly made Danish brown bread.
Loved here. We didn't expect this colourful, warm and extraordinary atmosphere, originally just looked for a breakfast place. We had the secret menu options ;) it was super delicious. The juices were super fresh and the hot chocolate was delicious. Stuff was extremely nice and welcoming. And of course I have to mention the great music they are playing.

Very busy but inviting cafe. We enjoyed brunch here, sitting outside enjoying the sun. The service was lovely and very friendly. The food and drinks were delivered quickly, even though it was really busy. The food was hot, tasty and delicious! Would definitely go back.

Super friendly staff in a cute cafe and absolutely delicious breakfast sandwiche! We stopped by for breakfast before heading out for a day. The place was very busy when we arrived around 10 am on Saturday. There was about 10 minutes wait for the table. After we got the table, we ordered at the counter. The coffee was very quick and tasty. My partner had a bowl of museli and I had gone with the secret menu, which was a dirty croissant sandwich and that was absolutely delicious! They have outdoor seating, indoor seating, and seem to be a little more seating downstairs through the Blue Nate as well.
Penny G — Google review
What a cozy cafe! I went alone but never felt lonely because the atmosphere was so warm and welcoming. The breakfast was amazing too. A truly good place with good people. I’d love to visit again for sure. Highly recommend this place.
Vinny C — Google review
My friend and I went for a quick lunch and coffee. We entered this little cozy place, hidden away on a side street from Stroget,. As soon as we got there, we were greeted by the host with a smile. We placed our orders. My friend got a tuna salad sandwich and I got a black bean hummus sandwich. Since I don’t like raw tomatoes, the host was so nice to ask me if I wanted some mozzarella cheese instead. No extra cost. My friend got a bit curious about the black bean hummus, so the host offered us a little taste. We could choose between a regular and a dark, full grain bun. Homemade, of course. Also we both had regular coffee, one with milk. An interesting indoor decoration and a great ambience. Definitely not the last we will visit the Next Door Café.

Best breakfast place I have been to in a long while! Very friendly people. Incredible vibe. You may have to / may have the pleasure to sit next to some strangers. We loved it.

If you like the idea of feeling like you've just run into old friends the moment you walk into a breakfast/coffee spot for the first time, then NEXT DOOR CAFE is for you. If you like the idea that they'll remember you and your order on your 2nd and 3rd visit, then NEXT DOOR CAFE is for you. The food is delicious (meuslix yogurt fruit bowl) and the coffee is just what you'd expect from a local hangout where it seems every single person in the neighborhood is there at some point during your breakfast. The owners and staff are cool, hip, grounded and just overall very nice, warm, genuine people. MUST VISIT.
Damien R — Google review
What do you do when you meet with friends abroad ✈️? You won't believe it, but in our case, we mainly eat... 😅 I know some would only visit, go to museums, do cultural activities, but our lives are paced by our meals. 🤷 So, even for breakfast, we need a place where we can comfortably sit and talk, and a bakery 🥐 usually isn't enough. In Copenhagen 🇩🇰, I found on maps a spot called Next Door Cafe. And I picked it, not for its atmosphere (I'll talk about that later), but for the menu. It basically is the only spot that I found more or less affordable for brunch. In fact, DKK90 for a combo of pancakes 🥞, eggs 🍳 and bacon🥓 is almost cheap in CPH. Without being the best ever, the food was more than decent (especially the bacon was perfectly cooked to my taste), even though my eggs were overcooked. As I mentioned, I chose the place for the prices and the ratings on Maps, not for the decor, which I found... let's say... not fit for breakfast and more for a night party. 😅 Had I been alone with my family, not sure I would have enjoyed it, but with such a group of friends, that was almost funny. 😘 The service was good and the staff was laid back. The only hiccup was that we had to wait for a table as the place does not allow booking (at least online). In terms of quality / price ratio (at least), I'm convinced we found the best place for breakfast in CPH. 👍 Quality & taste: 7/10 Quantities: 8/10 Atmosphere: 7/10 Originality: 6/10 Ratio price / quality: 10/10 Service: 10/10 How I felt afterwards: 9/10

Kalaset is a funky bar and restaurant located in Copenhagen's Norrebro district, offering popular brunch options and all-day dining in a colorful vintage setting. The chefs prioritize fresh, homemade dishes packed with flavor, following traditional recipes. The cafe is known for its specialty pancakes and freshly brewed coffee, attracting both locals and travelers. With mismatched furniture and a cute aesthetic, the place offers a variety of vegan options clearly marked on the menu.
Cozy place, friendly stuff, mouth-orgasm worthy brunch, definitely cooked and plated with love. And those fluffy pancakes were exquisitely! I'll be back.

Kalaset Cafe For a leisurely brunch, fuel for a ramble in the city, dinner with friends & family, or a drink for the night ahead... it’s own draft beer-kalaset- nice! Italian dishes- Fantastic taste ❤️. A bit noisy, if there are many guesses.

Banana bread price insane!! We asked if they have sweet things and they said pancakes and banana bread. We paid 95kr for 1 banana bread (see picture)!!! It is just insane...they didn't say that there were a kind of blueberries compote on top and walnuts. I didn't like it that much (it is my taste though) but the price is definitely a shame. Despite that the place is lovely, maybe for lunch or dinner it is worth it.

Although this wasn't my favourite of the places we had breakfast at the majority did enjoy it and the staff where friendly and helpful.

I ordered Eggs Benny (Eggs Benedict) It looked as good as it tasted. Perfectly cooked eggs on homemade Brioche- eggs slightly runny in the middle, resring on ham slices, decorated with fresh herbs, tasty sauce and small tomatoes in various colors. It looked so good I forgot to take a photo and dug right in! I was greeted kindly and served quickly. I'll be back soon!

Ordered:- 1. Brunch Burger 2. Banana & Chocolate Pancakes Everything look delicious but taste normal. I love the crispy buns of the burger but the patty and sauce didn't stand out. Pancakes were great at first bite but later it turns soggy and sticky. The place and vibe is nice in the summer though.

42Raw is a minimalist-style eatery in Copenhagen that initially started as the city's first raw food bar. Over the years, it has evolved into a popular vegetarian restaurant offering an extensive menu suitable for both vegetarians and omnivores. The colorful variety of dishes available ensures there are no dull salads on offer, making it an appealing dining option for those seeking plant-based snacks and drinks to enjoy on-site or take away.
Amazing and healthy food. Very good for people with intolerances, not eating sugar, etc. They have gluten free options, vegan, etc. And it tastes delicious. Good coffee. I especially recommend the hazelnut fudge. Damn, it was one of the best sweet treats I’ve ever had in my entire life.

The food was delicious – fresh, creative, and full of flavor. The place is cozy, and the service was fast, friendly, and professional. A great spot for a healthy meal in the heart of Copenhagen. Definitely worth coming back!
Paweł S — Google review
The food colors were so beautiful, and the atmosphere was really nice — not too noisy at all. I could never come on weekends because it’s always crowded, but when I visited on Wednesday afternoon, there were only about 6–7 people. I love vegan restaurants, and the matcha latte here wasn’t the usual sweet one we know — it was mild and not too sweet, with a warm, comforting taste and a lot of foam. I wanted to try the matcha ball, but I ordered the blue one because it looked so pretty. I’ll try the matcha one next time!
김봉덕 — Google review
I got the “double” pancakes, and though they were good, they weren’t anything special. The portion size is on the smaller side (the pancakes are quite small) and the price is, in my opinion, a tad elevated for what is worth. All in all, a nice spot to go to if you’re vegan/plant based, but nothing to write home about I’m afraid
Alex — Google review
Vi ordered the green burger with glutenfree bun and the green bowl. The bun was amazing and so was everything else. The only minus point was that the salad with the burger was already quite brown so probably 1 - 2 days old. However we still really enjoyed the meals. Also had three little cakes after which were all equally delicious. When in Copenhagen, do not miss the place!

Great, whole food that is absolutely deserving of the slogan “just as nature intended” 🤌🏻 ✅ The staff were friendly and helpful ✅ The food was beautifully presented The Matcha bowl and Açaí bowl were slightly too melted for my liking … ✅ But the Paris juice was the best juice I’ve ever had 😍

Yummy and energizing food! Tons of options for gluten free (buns for burgers, bowls have no fried items, etc.) Chai latte is very creamy

Came here for a quick brunch before heading to the airport. Really enjoyed the food and smoothies I got here especially the mini raw cake bites. I thought the pricing was fair for the type of food it was and the service was fast and good. Interior is super modern and clean so I really enjoyed the overall experience and would recommend to anyone looking for a good healthfood/bowl place in the city center!

Café Norden is a charming all-day eatery located in the heart of Copenhagen, offering traditional Danish delicacies in an elegant old building with intricate plasterwork. The café provides a slightly pretentious yet charming ambiance, making it popular among both locals and tourists.
Pros: personal opinion but the burger here is the best I have ever eaten. Absolutely amazing ingredient quality. The building design is also cool with outdoor, indoor, and upstairs seating in a bustling part of Copenhagen. Cons: it was a little difficult to order as a foreigner.

The food at this cafe is a bit over the top, but it tastes really good. I had the chicken sandwich and it has a great size, bigger than you expect, and the taste was really great and they didn't just put a bunch of salad in there, actually there was a lot of chicken and bacon. I'm not quite sure about the strawberries, they didn't really fit in I feel.

Yes, it was expensive, but for me it was worth it. I loved their brunch and the beauty of it, is that you have the ability to choose, so I chose what fitted my keto diet. The lovely location and the service were also perfect. I came early and sat down at the window looking out. I enjoyed it and I will definitely come back 😊.

The food is fresh nice view nice scenery. We ate outside where they had live performers of music that commanded the attention of a large crowd of people and those passing through. The food was pricey and the menu was not in any English.

Great spot for lunch and people-watching Traditional Danish cafe with seating upstairs and downstairs as well as table and chairs outside, all overlooking the pretty Storkespring andet (Stork Fountain) and pedestrian area. They have a great food menu with everything from traditional danish open sandwiches to soups and salad, and everything in between. You order and pay at the counter, and they will bring it out to you. Food was delicious and they also have a good selection of wines.

Beautiful place to have food. It can be a little hectic in here at times (you pay at the counter and then take your seat with a little number) but it’s well worth it. Food was fantastic and you get to watch the world go by in stork square. The open sandwich was a winner

I'm here at around 18:00 on a Sunday and it's pretty chilled and relaxed. There's really friendly bar staff. Not too crowded but not empty either. The perfect time to sit with a glass of wine and relax just watching the street from the top floor or just reading.. That's how relaxed it feels here right now. The coffee the guy in front of me smelt and looked good, but I went for a glass of Chardonnay. At 90DKK was not bad and they even made sure I remained hydrated with a glass of water. The interior feels cosy and as soon as I walked in I just felt very much at ease. I know there is outside seating and in summer the place can be packed. You need to order at the bar so don't make the same mistake I made on my first visit and sit down wondering why all the waiters ignore you. Update to the review - I've since been again to this place on a Saturday when it was far busier and I've got to say the experience means I have to downgrade my review. We arrived around 18:00 and the place was busy, we found a table, but they were not cleaned and we noticed none of the staff even when they came over bothered to take the used dishes or offer to wipe the table. The floor was disgusting and I think the pavement outside was actually cleaner. The staff walking around had on mostly soiled and dirty aprons and these were staff who were out on the floor. Also where you order was still as confusing as ever with the first bar tender asking me to order upstairs if we were sitting upstairs but not being very clear. Overall they tried but there just seems to be a lack of understanding of how to service at busy times. They seem to be moving forward purely on location and probably past success during the times when Copenhagen was much quieter. I will definitely not be going here again. Too dirty, not adequate service and for the price I expect better.

I was transit in Copenhagen during a sunny day of October, and had several hours to kill so i walked around city center and I saw outside Cafe Norden customers enjoying amazing looking cakes! Being the sweet tooth I am I didn't have to thing twice and I sat outside in the only available table. I was waiting for the waiter to get my order..in vain!!! I saw everybody was going inside and carry out their orders so I understand it was a self service. That was a problem for me as I was alone, carrying my luggage... First of all it is not safe to leave our stuff unattended, but carrying my luggage and bag inside means I could have not been able to carry my order too, I have only two hands :) and I could have lost my table as somebody else could have sit.. Problem solved thanks to the kind lady next table who promised to keep an eye on my stuff.. Still cannot understand why on earth so many waiters and waitresses inside, where it was empty, could not serve outside. The sweets looked yummy so I got a cake covered with berries and a hot chocolate to drink. I had to pay the equivalent of almost 25 euro which was waaaay too much! Then I looked around and saw the Lui Vuitton shop and other hi-end shops and understand I was sitting to the expensive part of the city. I wish the service was as good as the area... Well.... Chocolate was good and cake delicious that's why I gave the third star.

Café Apropos is a delightful spot that truly captures the essence of brunch. Available on weekdays from 9:30 AM to 2 PM, their brunch platter is a feast for the senses, featuring scrambled eggs with bacon, grilled chorizo sausages, and an array of delicious accompaniments like cream cheese with smoked salmon rillettes and Greek yogurt topped with berries and muesli.
Amazing place for breakfast and lunch!! I went on a weekend trip to Copenhagen and went here because of the good reviews. I can only agree with them. The scrambled eggs are the best, staff is very friendly and it has a nice atmosphere.

This food is not good. My fish sandwich order was wrong. I was initially told to keep the wrong order. Then the sweet waitress comes back and asks for my box because the chef wanted to take it back to make the sandwich. I get to my hotel and this fish is still cold…like freezing. This fish filet is basically frozen food fish. I also don’t know what this marinara sauce is on a sandwich when it should be a tomato. Cheap and not good. I spent 200 dk. Ridiculous.
Jordan B — Google review
This place has amazing food, but the staff were not as attentive. It took 5 minutes for someone to make seat us. 15 minutes to get a menus and 15 minutes for someone to take our order. From arrival to getting our first drink, it took over 20 minutes and 45 minutes to get our food. I would not have minded, but they had plenty of staff and very few customers. Staff seemed not interested in taking our order. One was preoccupied with checking his mobile phone When the food finally came, it was delicious, so much so I went over and thanked them for the awesome food. If you want great food but really poor service, this place is a must go to. But if you want nice service, then don't bother, especially if you are in a hurry.

This café was recommended to me by local friends and it didn't disappoint. We arrived early evening and were seated immediately. The staff were friendly and attentive, taking our order very quickly. The drinks arrived in no time and the food not long after. The food was of good quality, good portion size and hot. We did not need a dessert. This was a very enjoyable experience compared to other restaurants we visited in Copenhagen. Thank you.

Great cafe, we had brunch - highly recommend the hummus toast too. Very fresh. Thanks for having us!

Actually quite disappointing. So the Happy Hour may be standard at getting a break if ordering exactly the same two drinks but unclear for travelers. But Old Fashioned and Dry Vodka Martini dismally weak. Maybe just too high of expectations from Americans who imbibe too regularly! The Tapas plate was good with a great selection and wonderful country pate and bread, olives and dips. Graciously served by staff with small plates requested. The Fish (as in one piece) and chips were blah. Fish greasy as in change the oil or make it hotter before you fry stuff! Chips hot but really over priced. Service so so. Requested our check several times.

The Midwestern Diner is a classic American eatery that offers a nostalgic dining experience with its focus on traditional American cuisine. The menu features a variety of classic brunch dishes, super-sized burgers, and creative shakes. The restaurant aims to provide not only delicious food but also a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere reminiscent of home. Guests can indulge in brunch classics such as omelettes, buttermilk pancakes, waffles, French toast, and breakfast plates or sandwiches served in brioche buns.
So good that I visited it twice, and would have gone back again if time permitted. Fantastic location. I definitely recommend sitting outside if weather permits. Staff were friendly and excellent with service. Food came rather quickly, and was very tasty. Soda - a large is indeed a large! Loved it! I would definitely recommend this place!

For what it was, it was ok. I think if you are craving for some american style restaurant, you can't go wrong. The milkshake/freakshake was good and also filled with lots of additional sweets. The burger looked better than it tasted, but it wasn't bad just bland. The mac & cheese I liked, but I have no comparison counter part here. The staff, while super friendly and chatty, seemed a bit unhelpful for some situations. Not holding the door open for a family with kids wagon was a strange sight. Still, the atmosphere was good, but it's best to paint one's own picture.

Midwestern diner is a really nice, friendly, American themed restaurant. The service was fantastic, the waitress was very friendly and attentive. The food was nice, we went with a burger, chicken salad, and 3 kids meals. My only comment on the food is that the kids meals could/should come with some for of vegetables on the side such as sweetcorn but the food itself was nice. When we visited it was quite quiet so can’t really comment on atmosphere however there plenty of variety for seating, booths, tables and outdoor seating available. Make sure you try a milkshake, they’re one of the nicest I’ve had! Pricing was as you’d expect for Copenhagen, restaurant is a short walk from the Metro.

I cook BBQ. While I'm no KCBS pit boss I know good enough to know good from bad. First the BBQ at this place is not cooked in a smoker. Strike 1. Strike 2 is the hide this by drowning the meat in sauce and then cooking that on a grill which caramelised the meat into a chewy something. Any any BBQ place that is new to me I try the pulled pork. It's one of the easier cuts to smoke. Since they don't actually smoke the meat and because they meat was tough and chewy I can't recommend this place. I hope everyone who is raving about this place can come to Kansas City or my home town of Denver and try real BBQ. That being said I don't regret my decision to try it. It was a good data point for comparison. Just glad I didn't go for the brisket at $50. Again if you can't get pulled pork right you have no hope of doing brisket.
Paul Z — Google review
You could assume from the location that this would be one of those tourist traps, since it’s right in a nice square. But the food is great, the service is fast and friendly, so there’s really no downside here. Highly recommended.
Christian P — Google review
After a long walk, we were quite hungry and figured you can't go wrong with a burger, so we decided to stop by the Midwestern Restaurant. The waitress was friendly, but a bit overbearing, constantly coming to our table, which became a bit bothersome. When we ordered, we specifically mentioned that the meat needed to be well done because I’m pregnant, but unfortunately, this wasn’t followed. That was quite disappointing, as we had hoped for more attention to detail in such a situation. Additionally, the price was fairly high, which might be attributed to the big city living. Overall, the experience was okay but not entirely satisfying.

As an America lover visiting Copenhagen, this place totally hit the spot! 🇺🇸🍔 The burgers were super nice — juicy, flavorful, and exactly what I’d expect in america. The coleslaw was absolutely delicous, with that real american taste. you just don’t find everywhere in Europe. And let me tell you, the drinks also come in americans sized cups — finally! 🙌 No tiny sips here. The whole place had a true American diner vibe — from the booths to the music. It honestly felt like stepping into a little slice of america that we love. Highly recommend if you're craving authentic American comfort food in Denmark!

Nice selection of food. Æbleskiver in november. Juice, cacao milk, coffee, tea. For the price the bread selection should be a little better and fresher. As well for 2nd seating some food was somewhat dry, colder and not too fresh. Suggestion is smaller servings on the buffet and more often replacement.

(Translated by Google) Good experience, I would especially like to highlight their focus on gluten-free and lactose-free diets that are visibly marked. There were good alternatives for allergy sufferers. It is a fairly large place, but there was no crowd when we were there on Saturday at 11:45 (Original) God oplevelse, jeg vil særligt fremhæve deres fokus på glutenfri og laktosefri kost der er synligt mærket. Der var gode alternativer til allergiker. Det er et ret stort sted, men der var ingen trængsel da vi var der lørdag kl 11.45

Restaurant
Tucked away behind a graffiti-coated gateway, La Galette is a charming restaurant run by two skilled French chefs. The menu features an array of sweet and savory Breton-style galettes and crepes made from organic buckwheat from Bretagne. The cozy cafe offers a delightful atmosphere and generous portion sizes at reasonable prices. Additionally, the restaurant caters to various dietary preferences, offering gluten-free buckwheat crepes as well as vegan options for select dishes.
I thought this place was great. Good prices, good food and nice service. The restaurant itself, as in the interior and such, has to be one of the most unique places I’ve ever been. Completely covered with different types of Asterix and Obelix memorabilia, figures, posters etc. The location and layout of the restaurant is equally cool. You go through this alley from the Main Street, where you see the sign from the restaurant. Thereafter you come inside, and they have a first and second floor. We chose the second floor which was very cozy. We ordered an Obelix, and another I can’t remember as well as a dessert pancake. The Galettes are really delicious. Nice and salty, crispy and flavorful. The cheese they used for the galettes really reminded me of France, and gave me a nice nostalgic feeling. I had the hachè one, and although I felt it was a tad overcooked, I must say the caramelization made up for it. My partner had the one with cheese, eggs, bacon etc and it was really nice, I regret I didn’t get a classic one. Mine felt a bit “extra”. The dessert pancake was standard, didn’t think they were that good. However all in all, still 5 stars.

Nice place that is a step away from the busy shopping district. Food was solid and very reasonably priced for the area. The savory crepe we had was a little better than the sweet one. Worth stopping by for dessert or a light meal. Nothing fancy, but tasty nonetheless.
Brian T — Google review
Delicious galettes (pancakes/crepes)! All savoury ones are made with buckwheat, so this means they are gluten-free! The sweet ones are not made of buckwheat and do contain gluten, but if you ask them to make the sweet ones with buckwheat, they will also do that. For me, it was possible to eat here gluten-free, lactose-free, and without garlic and onion. I'm happy we visited La Galette, thanks!

Lovely! It's not easy to find interesting lunch deals this centric in Copenhagen. Their lunch deal during the work week: 160kr for 1 savory galette + drink + sweet dessert galette. Everything was cooked in the moment and tasty. The apple cider also turned out to be a great choice to accompany my lunch. There are two floors inside and some tables in the garden. Some French decorations and some Asterix and Obelix drawings which I found cute. Solid choice and good value for the price.

We ate here in May 2025. Sorry to say it, but the food was genuinely terrible and the service was poor. There was a lively atmosphere downstairs but that's the only reason for eating here. If you're looking for nice French galettes, this is not the place for you.

Amazing place, with the best pancakes. We can’t eat gluten and it was a perfect choice. The sweet pancakes with the pear got me coming back to this place the second day right after the opening. The stuff is incredibly nice and i would recommend this place to anyone.

Wonderful idyllic spot for authentic Brittonic galettes in the heart of Copenhagen. Such a lovely restaurant that is well located, well laid out, open till late, and run by a friendly and professional team who provide exceptional service. The galettes were delicious - great selection on offer both savoury and sweet. They offer a Breton cider rounding off this experience well. Highly recommended - whether on a date, catching up with friends, out with the family, this spot lends itself to all occasions.

Rita's Burgerbar is a 1950s-themed diner in the city center with delicious slider burgers and milkshakes. It also serves breakfast, salads, steaks and onion rings. The small restaurant is popular for its affordable food and warm atmosphere.
I really liked this restaurant, I ordered a classic burger with some changes and the food was prepared right in front of me. The food was good and fresh. The waitress was very kind when I wasn't sure what to order. It was also very affordable and I really recommend getting the onion rings. The restaurant is small by the way, so just keep that in mind.

Boring tasteless burgers, and dirty cutlery and glasses. I was here as a part of a larger group. The service was not the best the waiter, was new to the job, and forgot part of the order and had to check most of the order a couple of times, and still manages to forget a kpart of it, not a big issue since she was new to the job. The drinks we ordered came very late. Most of the cutlery and was very dirty, I think they forgot to replace the water in the dishwasher. The food was boring and dry. It looked very nice and presented in a good way on the dish, but.... I had a pulled pork burger, fries and cheese sticks. Fries and cheese sticks was ok, I would say that they fries was bit overcooked, the cheese sticks was the best of the entire thing of the table. The pulled pork burger was a very dry experience, and not worth the money, the bun was the only good thing about the burger. mac and cheese was covered in grease. The other burgers was very disappointing as well, bacon in one of the burgers had a funny taste, and I don't think anyone fished there main dishes. Only side orders was finished.

American 60s diner themed restaurant, with burgers and milkshakes on the menu. Went with some friends for dinner on a Saturday evening, wasn't super crowded, unlike many other places in Copenhagen. I ordered the Big Cheese, fries and BBQ dip. Generously sized burger for the price. Well prepared, good quality beef, nice and light and fluffy bread. Could have had more cheese as there was only cheese on the burger. Nicely seasoned, great taste. The fries were greasy, deep fryer oil seeping through the entire fry. Although, still tasting great. Nice dips. Chili mayo and honey mayo were great! To drink I got a homemade cherry soda, which tasted just like real cherries. Very nice! All in all, very nice place to go for dinner.
Tomasz C — Google review
I tried the pulled pork burger and the bacon cheese burger, the pulled pork was nice and moist but the taste just wasn't there it was all the same taste and to much mayo in the coleslaw. The cheese burger tasted like a refined version of MCDONALD 10kr burger a bit better with the bacon but otherwise it's the same burger. And then we come to the size of the burgers they are just too small compared to the price of them and the side orders have just the same problem. One of the few burger places I will not come again.
Rickey B — Google review
A welcome addition to Copenhagen's restaurant scene. Extremely friendly waiters and waitresses each time I have been there. They have really done a good job adapting an American diner experience into a Danish setting, with all-day breakfast on offer plus their dinner menu. Unlike many restaurants in Denmark, they do offer refills (not free, but discounted compared to the initial coffee's price). The food definitely is definitely good quality in terms of diner fare and the prices are very reasonable. My only complaint would be that I wish they had more traditional hash browns instead of their hash brown patty with an herb/spice mix. If you want to ensure you can get a table, it is a good idea to book a table as seating is limited. Vegetarian options available for dinner and breakfast, though I'm not sure whether hose items are technically vegan or not. At any rate, if you are looking for a diner experience in Copenhagen, this is a great bet.
Trav K — Google review
We came here to have American-style breakfast. The restaurant was cold. I was considering putting my jacket back on. They were unfortunately not able to offer smoothies or freshly pressed juice this day. Instead they offered juice from the box at a reduced price. I ordered the All-In menu. What was advertised as hash browns (in plural) on the menu turned out to be one single hash brown. The two pancakes were arguably very small, especially considering American standards. Most of the food was hardly warm anymore when it was served to us. But otherwise it tasted good. All in all we were disappointed.
Daniel T — Google review
I got the classic burger and it was really good, the patty was perfect and very tasty. My boyfriend got the double cheese and, although he didn't enjoy his burger that much, he agreed that the patty was tasty and well prepared. Onion rings were okay-ish, but the fries were better. Also the chili mayo and specially the garlic mayo were perfect. The staff was friendly and service was excellent. I'll definitely be coming back to try their breakfast options which looked pretty appealing ;)
