Looks exactly like all the photos, lovely area either beautiful danish houses, boutiques and souvenirs. There are nice canal side restaurants, boat rest aired, public benches and live buskers all around so you can do a lot without spending much. Careful not to get run over by bikes!

Nice to walk through and appreciate the tourists althoguh we went on a stormy day to avoid tourists and make the photos a bit more moody. This place can get very busy, and food/ bars are just there for the tourists who step off the boats .... I suggest venturing down the alleys as there are plenty of hidden gems in this city.
Gregory H — Google review
A very pleasant and lively area. A boat tour is recommended. You can see many places in an hour. I think there are two boat tours. One is very cheap. You should ask about the difference and choose accordingly.
Cem Ö — Google review
Visited Nyhavn over the weekend and absolutely loved it! 🌈 The colorful houses along the canal look stunning, especially on a sunny day ☀️. Tip: for the best photo, click from the opposite side of the canal 📸. Lined with cozy cafes and restaurants, it’s a perfect place to relax, enjoy a meal, and soak in the cheerful Copenhagen vibes 🇩🇰.

It's a must see and very photographic landmark area. There are numerous restaurants and small shops. You catch a canal tour here as well. Don't forget to visit the shop where Hans Christian Anderson once lived.

What's the name of the farm (gaard) on Ryvej west of the Kastrup South entrance. I lived at Ryvej 9 as a kid and writing a book. I think it was owned by the Nielsen family?? Thanks, John

Island
Refshaleøen, located in Copenhagen, is a former shipyard transformed into a leisure area. It boasts street food stalls, an art gallery, and even an artificial ski slope at CopenHill. The island is renowned for its top-notch restaurants such as Noma, the Alchemist, and Amass alongside hidden gems like Lille Bakery and La Banchina. Visitors can start their day with coffee and pastries at La Banchina before enjoying a dip in the ocean.
It's a old warehouse area which has been converted into party area in the recent years. There is always some concerts happening in this area. And you can also get to see the Copenhagen area from the island.
Local G — Google review
AMAZING This was my first ever concert, so I could be biased. I went to see Imagine Dragons and I very much enjoyed my visit. Leaving however was awful, no order at all. We all left at the same time, so there was delays and crowds of hundreds of people. Took an hour just to get round the corner 🤣 but ah well. Well worth it. Sorry im advance for my terrible singing voice in these videos 🤣
Asasia B — Google review
Great place to hang out on a sunny day, plenty of food and drinks to choose from and many other activities in the area like climbing. Best to bike there but you can also reach it by bus or the nea electric scooters
Ana-Cristina D — Google review
Great concert and sound, but the exit was a nightmare – poor traffic flow and no separation between cars and pedestrians.
Olena L — Google review
An interesting place with some creative enterprises that are located all around the area. I went there for a field trip with the University so I came across some enterprises that I didn't know that even exist. The place is really interesting to explore.
Lina S — Google review
Imagine Dragons concert was great in this venue but to get into was so unorganized, leaving the venue was madness, no clear instructions of where to get the bus, no sign of extra buses, when we did get a bus it was so jammed it was hot, it took an hour to get to Christianshavn station , there were cars, buses , taxis and hordes of people trying to get out. I would not recommend it as a concert venue
Gwen F — Google review
Absolutely worth it going to Refshaleøen’s street food market during a sunny day. I went on Saturday during the summer and the experience couldn’t be better. Remember to bring your swimming shorts / gear because swimming in the sea is also a great thing to do there. Food is delicious and you have many many options to choose from. Beer tents are also plenty and you can definitely find your type. There is also live music and many chairs and space to sit a enjoy the view. To get to Refshaleøen one must either bike or get on a bus. Either way its only a 10-15 minutes from downtown Copenhagen. A Must if you have more than 2 days in the city.
Gustavo R — Google review
I love this place, now they have references street food, previously on the paper island, it's a gorgeous place just outside the city and one of the best kept secrets of Copenhagen. You should also check out la banchina.

International airport
Airport
Copenhagen Airport, also known as Kastrup Airport, serves the Copenhagen and southern Sweden area with regional and international flights, as well as train links. It is a convenient entry point for visitors arriving by ship, train, or car. The city of Copenhagen is known for its high cost of living but also offers numerous bargains and discounts for both locals and tourists. The airport is located just eight kilometers from the city center, making it an ideal starting point for travelers to explore Denmark.
What a nice and clean and friendly place! We could visit multiple airports in Europe and/or north America, but the CPH Airport is a class. Very well organized, a lot of shops and delicious food, nice coffees and shops and massive friendly staff. Yes, people are usually using airports to travel, but this one is really a nice place to be, even if you need wait for your flight couple of hours.
Oto S — Google review
We flew into and out of Copenhagen while here for a few days. The airport is quite large with more shops than a lot of airports I've been to. The airport seems to have undergone many renovations at its very modern and nice throughout. A nice place to spend a couple hours before a flight.
Alex B — Google review
Copenhagen Airport was really impressive! The toilets and bathrooms were very clean, and there were plenty of shops throughout the airport. However, near the boarding gates, there weren’t many shops — instead, there were 7-Eleven vending machines, which were quite convenient. The airport Wi-Fi connected quickly and had a good speed. Overall, a very pleasant airport experience!
Khan N — Google review
Copenhagen and Brussels airports must be the two worst airports I have visited. The only good thing is the train station, arriving to the airport and you take the elevator straight to the check-in. One other thing, you have shops selling refreshments after the security so you can bring your favourite Pepsi refreshment onboard the flight. Flying biz and I use the fast track, one x-ray lane + two lanes for tourist class. This was a very special experience, the passengers climbing over each other when reclaiming your carry-on bags after the x-ray. No places to sit down, a few seats at the gates, and it is trotting and trotting to reach your gate. This time I experienced the E gates for the first time at the far end of the airport. Check in and security at the other end so it is a long way to walk. I am 60++ with pain in my knee and I try to avoid Kastrup Airport as much as I can. Scandinavian style, that is, no one should be comfortable, self service and a hard time. No seats to relax on your marathon run to the gates. Arriving is not better, trotting across the airport to the baggage claim area. Coming from within EU, one the other side of the airport and you have to trot all the way to the outside EU luggage claim.
Www A — Google review
Copenhagen Airport (CPH) a.k.a Kastrup International Airport is an international airport in Copenhagen, Denmark which is the largest airport in the Nordic countries. It is situated in less than 10 kilometers from the city center. The airport offers a wide range of shops and restaurants services for passengers. It has a very serene environment, fully air conditioners and well ventilated. It is well spacious with lounges for premium passengers.
Ali B — Google review
Copenhagen Airport is one of the most convenient airports I’ve traveled through. Immigration was quick, clear, and completely hassle-free. The staff were friendly and helpful, which made the arrival experience smooth. A big plus is that the train station is located directly below the airport, making onward travel very easy. That said, in most Scandinavian countries, you won’t find much hands-on assistance when it comes to figuring out trains or navigating local transport. If you’re new to the system or traveling alone, it’s a good idea to do your research in advance—download the transport apps, check train routes, and have a payment method ready. From Copenhagen, getting to Malmö in Sweden is especially simple—the train ride takes just around 30 minutes, making it perfect for a quick cross-border trip.
Vidya H — Google review
Not a bad place at all to spend a few hours before your flight. A lot of different food/drink options. Plenty shopping if you want . Areas where you can have a smoke & drink a beer so not much else you need. The only thing is passport control can take a bit if you hit a busy time so give yourself a little extra time. Other then that, it's a fairly straight forward.
Shaun H — Google review
Copenhagen Airport is nice in design but feels too small for the amount of traffic it gets. Lines can be long, and finding a free seat is often a challenge. Shops and cafés are good quality, but there’s not much room to relax once it gets busy. The layout can also be a bit confusing when transferring between terminals. Overall, it’s a clean and well-maintained airport, but it simply feels too small for how many people pass through it. Fine if you’re flying through off-peak hours, but stressful when it’s busy! A big plus is the areas with entertainment for kids.

pretty nice place other than hordes of cannibals trying to rip out our throats but our sapper suddenly took an axe to the head but without anybody to build barricades we’re we’re basically sitting ducks against the british shooting canister shots ripping us apart one by one but overall great experience
Bemberz — Google review
I'd say it's a so-so. On one hand the scenery is really nice! On the other hand, the place is very, very dangerous. It was the most terrible night that I spent there. Some British were firing rockets at me and some madlads were trying to eat me. Plus when I tried to escape on boat some other British tried to sink me! Thankfully I sank them first and was able to escape. Edit: My skin is turning gray, is this from some local disease?
Mrooshoo — Google review
The most terrible night... I was having a blast with my fellow Danish soldiers until I heard explosions along with screams of terrified civilians. When we got outside, there were cannibals with an appetite for our flesh. After reaching the docs and finding a gunboat in good condition, we were able to get out of the city. The British brig-sloop was standing by to prevent us from escaping, but unfortunately for them, they did not expect a heavily armed gunboat and only brought cannister shells. 8/10 would not come back again unless I have insurance. btw) the music Allegro con brio was fire🔥🔥🔥

My recent visit to Slotsholmen in Denmark was nothing short of magical. This historical island, nestled in the heart of Copenhagen, offers a captivating blend of architectural grandeur, cultural heritage, and natural beauty. As an avid traveler, I must say that Slotsholmen exceeded my expectations in every way. Upon arriving, I was immediately struck by the stunning Slotsholmen Canal, which encircles the island, creating a picturesque setting that transports you back in time. The walkways along the canal are beautifully maintained, offering ample opportunities for leisurely strolls while soaking in the tranquil atmosphere. The centerpiece of Slotsholmen is undoubtedly Christiansborg Palace. Its regal presence commands attention and offers a glimpse into Denmark's rich history. The palace is an architectural marvel, with its grand facades, intricate details, and opulent interiors. Exploring the royal reception rooms, the Great Hall, and the Royal Stables was a truly immersive experience. One of the highlights of my visit was ascending the Christiansborg Palace Tower. The panoramic views of Copenhagen from the top are absolutely breathtaking. From here, you can marvel at the city's skyline, spot iconic landmarks like the Church of Our Saviour, and even catch a glimpse of the famous Little Mermaid statue in the distance. The island also houses several fascinating museums and institutions. The Danish Parliament, Folketinget, is located here, and it's worth taking a guided tour to witness the democratic process in action. The Royal Danish Arsenal Museum is another gem, showcasing a vast collection of weaponry, armor, and historical artifacts that offer insight into Denmark's military past. Slotsholmen's serene gardens and green spaces are ideal for a relaxing escape from the bustling city. The Slotsholmen Courtyard, with its well-manicured lawns, ornate fountains, and sculptures, provides a tranquil oasis to unwind and reflect. It's an ideal spot for a picnic or simply enjoying a quiet moment surrounded by nature. Lastly, the location of Slotsholmen couldn't be more perfect. Its central position in Copenhagen makes it easily accessible, and it's within walking distance of other popular attractions such as Nyhavn and Tivoli Gardens. Whether you're a history enthusiast, architecture lover, or simply seeking a beautiful spot to explore, Slotsholmen is a must-visit destination. Overall, my experience at Slotsholmen was truly enchanting. The blend of history, culture, and natural beauty found on this island creates a unique and unforgettable atmosphere. I highly recommend visiting Slotsholmen to anyone visiting Copenhagen. It's an experience that will leave you in awe and longing to return.

Absolutely great place! All decoration changes every season and it’s a perfect place to have photoshoots here. I have a subscription and often bring my tourists here for photo shoots. The place is full of locations like from a fairy tale. But I only post my last visit here at night (I didn't try my best this time 😁) You can check more of my work on Instagram ninelzakaryan_photo

An excellent park although off to a skeptical start when I saw the first ride we went on had a member of staff on to "pull the brake". Lots of rides to suit all with a fair number of "tummy turners". Queues were small and the facilities such as food and toilets were at a good standard. We used the Copenhagen card to get in but you need to pay extra for the rides. Was quite cold when we were there so dress appropriately. The teenage kids enjoyed it so that's a thumbs up !

Had such a fun day at Tivoli Gardens in Copenhagen! The autumn vibes were magical, and the park looks absolutely stunning as the lights come on in the evening. I highly recommend going late afternoon so you can enjoy it in daylight and then see it sparkle at night. The food was delicious, the rides and attractions were super fun, and the whole day just felt so cozy and special. A must-visit for anyone in Copenhagen! 🎡🍂✨

Went here for the halloween themed gardens, it was amazing. So much to do for all ages. Rides, show for the little children, pumpkin carving, amusements, stalls to buy gifts and plenty of food and drink stalls. You can go in and out if you get a stamp and there's plenty of shops nearby. Was a great day out.

We visited just before Halloween and had a great time. The decorations and while atmosphere just felt special. I initially thought that the entry and ride ticket was a little expensive but it certainly wasn’t, only major queues were for food outlets at meal time which is understandable. Download the app and you can also have free copies of the ride photos, something completely unheard of in our native UK. Highly recommend and a highlight of our family trip to Copenhagen

Beautiful theme park in the city center of Copenhagen, Denmark. My Danish friends told me that It was the inspiration of Disney’s World. Lovely theme park with various rides and attractions, bars, ice cream, candy shops and restaurants as well as souvenirs and artisanal shops. I came here in October so the park was lavishly decorated with Halloween theme 🎃🎃🎃. It was packed even on weekdays. I tried Demon, the 🎢 rollercoaster (the queue was 45 minutes for a 1 - minute fun ride! 😇) and we had fun! We also had wonderful dinner in Mikkeler Færgerkroen restaurant. Fun attractions include the old wooden rollercoaster, fatamorgana, carousel, boat ride, Ferris wheels 🎡, swinging carousel, bumper car and more. The tickets are available online as well as through Tivoli app. You can get the passes as well, starting for the standard pass for 12 months to silver, gold and wild card. Get more details on their app and website. Single ride tickets are also available, from 50 - 60 DKK. Watch out for the health and safety limitations for the rides. Toilets are available here and there. Some parts are flat and ♿️✅ disability friendly, but some parts have stairs.

Great day out, rides were good. Went on a few couple times. Wait times were around 30mins which wasn't too bad for most rides. Food was priced reasonably inside the park and you also had the food hall next door so had a few to choose from. Will definitely visit again when visiting Copenhagen.

Kongens Nytorv is one of Copenhagen’s central landmarks; a beautiful and well-kept public square right next to the jewel of the city, the Nyhavn waterfront. The open space has a calm atmosphere, with a small garden in the middle and majestic historic buildings surrounding it, including the Royal Danish Theatre, Hotel D’Angleterre, and several high-end shops like Rolex. It’s a convenient meeting point and a pleasant place to pause while exploring the city. There’s even a small pub on the corner, perfect for an Aperol Spritz on a warm afternoon. This was Carlsberg's old brewery grounds. Among others, concerts, a beach bar with its own beach! (a sandbox) and cultural activities were hosted here. I really enjoyed this part of Copenhagen with its old beautiful buildings and cool atmosphere. But in the name of profit maximizing, every building which was not protected was demolished to make way for hurriedly erected precast buildings and towers, packed so closely that sunlight barely reaches the narrow streets between 11.55 and 12.05. There are some nice squares, a park and some shops are starting to open up. Hopefully, this will all get better as construction finishes up, but for now it mostly feels like a ghost town. Is it worth a visit? At the time of writing no. It is basically one big construction site. Meybe the "Humle torvet" square or "JC Jacobsens have" park is worth a visit, if you're in the neighborhood. I would recommend exploring the neighboring areas of Vesterbro, Valby or Frederiksberg instead.

Visitors can enjoy sweeping views of the city from this architectural gem while experiencing its rich history. The gradual ascent makes it accessible to all, appealing to history buffs, architecture enthusiasts, and anyone seeking breathtaking vistas of Copenhagen.
Highly recommended, especially just before sunset on a beautiful day. The view from the rooftop is absolutely breathtaking. We were lucky enough to witness a blood moon during our visit to the Round Tower, which made the experience even more special. The ticket prices were reasonable, and the panoramic skyline view of Copenhagen is truly stunning.

Nice view from the top, you can also take a peek into the observatory up there. That's is also a shop with beautifully designed items (notebooks, post cards, posters, etc) that's adjacent to an art school exhibition. Plus you can take a look into the church's attic and learn about historic stuff

Great attraction right in the city center. The ticket costs around €8. The climb is easy, with very few steps, and the views from the top are beautiful — you can see the entire city from above. There’s also a small museum and a small art exhibition inside. I didn’t visit many attractions in Copenhagen, but I’m glad I visited this one.

Very interesting architecture. The ramp without strairs is amazing and beautiful. On the top, the view to the city center is amazing. Like it
JL K — Google review
This was kind of cool. You walk up this winding stone path to get to the top, and then you have a great view of the city. It is an observatory attached to the university of copenhan (i think). There is also a beautiful church to see.
Natalie N — Google review
So yes it's Copenhagen's Main tourist attraction, but it still offers plenty to justify the crowds and admission fee. The view is great, the ramp absorbs crowds, there are plenty of toilets, and some unexpected artefacts along the wall to the top. Even in a sunny Saturday with three cruise ships in town, the only area with some congestion was the top of the ramp. An automated traffic light system controls the flow of visitors through the narrow staircase which connects the ramp to the observation terrace.

The Church of Our Saviour is a stunning 17th-century Baroque place of worship located in Copenhagen. Its impressive Dutch Baroque architecture features a golden spire and a singing bell tower, adorned with vibrant red and yellow tiles. The church offers one of the best viewpoints in the city, with outstanding panoramic views from the top of its spire. Visitors can embark on an exciting excursion by climbing narrow winding stairs to reach the summit, where they can enjoy breathtaking vistas across Copenhagen.
Brilliant experience walking up the tower. Be aware that some of the steps are very steep and with limited handrails. The view from the top however is spectacular, offering a panorama of the whole of Copenhagen. Tickets must be booked in advance and you will get a time to go up the tower. The inside of the church is also beautiful with a spectacular pipe organ.
Alex M — Google review
The Church of Our Saviour is one of Copenhagen’s most famous landmarks and a must-visit if you enjoy history, architecture, and incredible city views. The church itself is beautiful, with a striking baroque interior, but the real highlight is climbing the tower. The spiral staircase on the outside of the spire takes you up high above the city, and the views from the top are absolutely stunning, stretching across Copenhagen and even out to Sweden on a clear day. The climb is steep and narrow in places, and the final stretch on the outside can feel a bit dizzying if you’re not great with heights, but the reward at the top is well worth the effort. It’s best to go on a clear day to really appreciate the panoramic view. The tower can get busy, so going early or outside peak hours makes the experience more enjoyable. Overall, the Church of Our Saviour is an unforgettable stop in Copenhagen. Whether for its history, its unique architecture, or the breathtaking views from the tower, it’s an experience that leaves a lasting impression.

Absolutely breathtaking experience! The Church of Our Saviour is not only a beautiful piece of architecture, but also offers one of the very best views of Copenhagen. The spiral staircase up the tower is a little challenging, but that only makes reaching the top more rewarding. Standing outside on the winding staircase with the city right beneath your feet feels magical. You can see all of Copenhagen – from the canals and colorful houses to the modern skyline. Totally worth the climb, and a must-visit spot if you want a unique perspective of the city!
Kalina M — Google review
Beautiful place! Climbing to the top and amdiring views of the city is one of the nicest experiences in Copenhagen. Important note - there is not only a lot of stairs to the top, but in some moments it's narrow and steep stairs. So it's not so easy to get there, but really worth to visit.
Patrycja Z — Google review
Church of Our Saviour – Copenhagen A stunning baroque church with one of the best panoramic views in Copenhagen. The highlight is the climb to the top via a unique external spiral staircase—fun and adventurous, but not for the faint-hearted. With over 400 steps, it’s a bit of a workout, and the narrow, winding paths can be challenging for anyone with vertigo. Entry costs €8, and it's well worth it for the view alone.
Mark H — Google review
Climbing up requires tickets. The views are awesome but not suitable for those w fear of heights. The stairs get narrow as you go higher. Good experience. Good views. Lots of climbing.
Simon A — Google review
So, the most visited church in Copenhagen 😀. Yes, it is old and yet most of us came here to walk the stairs to the top 😀. 400 step. The first 300+ is inside , wooden and pretty steep. Then , you go outside and continue around the tower, climbing the external stairs. Its actually easier outside than inside until you get closer to the top where stairs become very narrow and finally closed for further trip. Great views ! Great adrenaline ! Book your slot to climb online in advance during holiday season. Aha, it will be closed when it rains so do not go if you see showers outside your windows.

I visited only the tower... What a view - just make sure you don't suffer from vertigo and can move agile... The view is spectacular but it's really narrow up there. You might wanna go for sunset. We didn't have wind when I was there but I assume once there is... It's not very hygge...

Amalienborg Palace, an exquisite 18th-century rococo complex in Copenhagen, serves as the winter residence for the Danish monarchy. This remarkable ensemble consists of four distinct palaces—Brockdorfske, Levetzaus, Moltkes, and Schackske—each showcasing stunning architecture and rich history. Surrounding a grand plaza, these palatial structures were adopted by the royal family in 1794 after a devastating fire at Christiansborg Castle.
If you’re in Copenhagen, Amalienborg is a must-visit. This beautiful palace showcases the rich history, details, and artifacts of the Danish royal family. One of the highlights is the changing of the guard, which takes place daily at 12 pm and is a wonderful experience to witness. There’s no entry fee. I had the pleasure of visiting this magnificent palace, and it truly felt like stepping back in time into a world of royalty. The interiors are grand and beautifully preserved, with multiple sections showcasing how the royals once lived. From the opulent living quarters and lavish dining halls to the intricately designed courtyards, every corner tells a story of elegance and power. What stood out to me most was the attention to detail—exquisite furniture, ornate chandeliers, and priceless artifacts that reflect a royal lifestyle at its peak. The guided displays made it easy to understand the history and appreciate the traditions behind each room. Walking through the palace, I could almost imagine the grandeur of royal gatherings and ceremonies that once filled these halls. Overall, it’s a place where history and beauty come together perfectly. If you want to experience the charm of a royal lifestyle, this palace is a must-visit.

Truely amazing.. i had visited Amelienborg palace with my family in the month of May.. just was spell bound by the beauty and architectural marvel of the same. The whole palace was worth watching again and again from each and every angle. As we had visited on a weekend there was really a big crowd which really added to the enrichment of the ambience.. We had planned to reach there to watch the famous change of guard event. It was so awesome.. even though it is something that happens on a daily basis but the accuracy and precision of the event is something to adore for.. From accessibility perspective we have the well established punlic transportation of Copenhagen.. A must watch if you are visiting Copenhagen..

Go at 11:30am to get a good view of the changing of the guard. They push everyone back behind the black lines of the quad closest to the brown doors/left of the entry pillars if you want a good view, but the guards do a march around the while Palace eventually. We also saw the marching band through the town which was cool!

how to enjoy the guards change parade at it's max 1. be at the square at 1130 - at this the police will start to clear the square 2. tourists are allowed to stand only in certain areas 3. take the position marked at the screenshot - this one is the best, since you will see the change and the guards will marsh along you enjoy :-)

Definitely my favourite brunch spot in Copenhagen ! You can choose 3, 5 or 7 items to create your own brunch plate. I've visited several times and was never disappointed. Everything is tasty and well cooked. The menu changes every season so there's always something new to try. The drinks are also really good ! I highly recommend this place and would advise to book in advance if you want to come in the weekend.

One of our favourite breakfasts in Copenhagen! It gets very busy here and the staff work very, very hard. They are still so lovely and the service is prompt. We were grateful to arrive early enough to get a walk-in table for 1.5hrs - I would otherwise, recommend making a reservation if you can. Everything here is so fresh, flavourful and quite unique in how each dish is prepared and served.

Overall a good experience. Unfortunately the avocado was too hard to eat, and some dishes had mint leaves that I didn’t enjoy, it would be helpful if that was mentioned on the menu. On the bright side, the eggs were excellent and the atmosphere pleasant. I’d recommend the place, though it’s a bit pricey. Also, it’s best to book a table in advance through their website, very convenient.

Absolutely fantastic quality of the brunch! Yes, these portions are small, so I will suggest to get 5 or 7 items but it's definitely worth it. I can definitely recommend it to anyone but try to book a reservation because it can be very busy!

A very cosy place, with a high quality breakfast / brunch. We didn't have a reservation but we were lucky enough to find an empty table inside and to enjoy our breakfast for 1h30 min. The service was very prompt, and the servicing members friendly and kind. The hot chocolate was really nice, with a balanced taste and it was not extremely sweet. Also, by far my favourite was the smoothie with kale, caju butter and banana - it was so delicious. We could taste the high quality of the ingredients, even if the portions were smaller than we expected. It was too windy and cold to stay outside, but during the summer time it definitely worth it. I gave a lower review because not all the ingredients were listed (e.g. onion topped over the omelette) so it was too late to talk with the waiter about my food intolerance. Some small things can make a big difference.

Would've been more tolerable if we got our coffees while waiting but they didn't come until about 5 minutes after we got our food... Food was reasonably good but the slow service and lack of attentiveness lowered score.

Sights & Landmarks
Assistens Cemetery, established in 1760, is not just a burial site but also a cultural center and a beautiful park. The more than 250-year-old cemetery features tree-lined pathways, rhododendron bushes, and ancient tombs that create a tranquil and cheerful atmosphere. Visitors can stroll through the lush green gardens while paying respects to some of Copenhagen's most famous citizens like Soren Kierkegaard and Hans Christian Andersen.
A peaceful and beautiful cemetery that is the burial place of many famous Danish people. The cemetery is split into sections that are alphabetically labeled. There are maps throughout to help you find your way around. The maps, also, list where the location of the famous burial places. There are hard surface paths around the cemetery. However, many plots require you to go down dirt paths. These are muddy and slippery in bad weather, so ensure you are wearing suitable footwear. The site is accessible to people who use a wheelchair or have mobility issues. You would have to decide on an individual basis whether to go off track as that would be dependent on weather and the lack of space between graves in some areas. There are toilets in the cemetery. I did not use them, but I was informed that they are accessible.

This is a beautiful and peaceful place to walk, especially on sunny days. It feels more like a quiet park than a cemetery. Many people come with their families or as couples, and you often see others riding bikes or having a picnic on the grass. The paths are wide and shaded, and the atmosphere is calm and inviting. It is also a place of cultural and historical importance, where you can find the graves of well-known Danish writers, scientists, and other prominent figures. A special spot where everyday life and history gently come together.
David — Google review
If you’re looking for a dramatic cemetery, this isn’t the place. It is a lovely, park-like atmosphere, with many famous graves. However, all of the “famous” headstones seem to be recent replacements, which really saps the historical element. The paths where biking is allowed are clearly marked. Don’t trust Google Maps bike directions, which kept sending us on non-biking paths. It also kept showing us exits that weren’t open.

Each time I visit a new country I try to see some cemeteries, as they show cultural differences and can tell a lot about the culture. This is a great cemetary/park. If you will get there, don't miss the grave of HC Andersen.

Nice and peaceful cemetery. It is not forbidden to use as a public recreational place with the respect to the true nature of the place. I was on short trip to Copenhagen so I stopped by why exploring the neighborhood of Norrebro, of course stopping by the resting place of the H.C.Andersen.

Super nice cemetery. The vibe really cool so I strongly recommend to visit this place. Usually the people go there to be relax, read a book or listen to music.

It offers a diverse global cuisine, serving breakfast, and hosting community dinners where over 180 strangers come together to enjoy shared dishes. The venue fosters a strong sense of community, attracting locals and tourists of all ages and backgrounds. During summer, the dining experience extends outdoors with long tables set up for al fresco dining when weather permits.
Loved our community dinner here! We were 3 people including our 13 year old son and had a beautiful time chatting with some Danes and a women from Greece. The food was EXCELLENT and including bread (so tasty) with chive butter, new potatoes and smoked salad with dressing and a salad with pickled onions and lentils. All delicious and amazing affordable. Please go!

A must go in Copenhagen. Absolutely love the concept and just such a Danish experience. We love the community dinners, obviously, such a great way to meet people. And the food is honestly amazing. Everytime. No judgment at all. Just lovely vibes. And I’ve also gone for board game night. Just a wonderful time!

What an amazing experience! Its communal dining so you get to meet people. Everyone is generally very friendly. The food was also really tasty. We had bbq chicken with salsa and roast root vegetables. The “cold bowl” desert (a type of buttermilk) was also nice. It’s often a full house so make sure to reserve in advance.

Apart from the beauty to be together, the beautiful plates, decorations, large magnificent church windows… Best bread I ever had (and I am french !!). People are really nice, the events all day are amazing (even some free after diner). 9€ / 65 dkk to eat 3 different plates as someone that loves tasting everything was a big surprise! Do not hesitate to go !!

Such a great place. An old church converted to a community style kitchen with great food and lots of events. You eat at long community tables and it just felt right. The food is very tasty and very affordable (we paid 60 kr for the lunch). People of all ages come here, but at lunch there were loads of small kids, so probably would recommend trying to work from here. Everyone were so friendly. Will definitely be back here.

Lørdagsfællesspisning Friday community dinner was incredible! You sit at long tables with your friends or strangers, and you serve yourselves from a shared plate. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was inviting. My sister and I made this our first stop after arriving from Canada, and we really enjoyed it! Announcements throughout the evening were in English.

The food is served family style, we were the last of 6 to get the food plates and the 4 before us took most of the salad and salmon. We're not big eaters so we didn't mind, but others sure would have minded. I cannot eat gluten, they provided me with a small gf roll. There was salmon, salad, mashed potatoes, cooked cabbage, and a desert I couldn't eat, gluten full.

Superkilen Park is a vibrant urban space located in Norrebro, Copenhagen. It is part of an urban regeneration project and features a jogging track, playground, basketball court, and skateboard ramp. Designed by artist group Superflex and German landscape architects Topotek1, the park consists of a Red Square, Black Square, and green area along The Green Cycle Route.
We rented bikes in the city and rode out here to get some energy out with our teenage son. Super fun spot and very close to the city. Loved the bike hill most of all but was also cool to watch the guys do tricks on skateboards

A park with a playground and exercise equipment, skater areas, and a cycle path. There is also lots of graffiti and a few sculptures. Designed to promote tolerance and unity between local people and immigrants. It was fun to visit, but it had a bit of a run-down feeling to the area. The area is accessible to people who use a wheelchair, but there was not any specialist play equipment for disabled people to use.
Shelley C — Google review
as a tourist not much to here honestly. Seems to be a popular spot for locals though. seems like the the concept behind is to promote international ties and the place embraces attributes of other cultures in different forms
Mike — Google review
Superkilen is a very different park in Copenhagen, it showcases the diversity of Nørrebro, with design elements and objects from all over the world. You’ll find everything from Moroccan fountains to Thai swings and even a neon sign from Russia. The space is divided into three areas: the Red Square (great for skating and people-watching), the Black Market (more relaxed, with chess tables and benches), and the Green Park (for picnics and play).Perfect for photos, meeting locals, or just taking a walk through global culture, all in one neighborhood. If you’re visiting Copenhagen, this is definitely worth the stop.

This is the most creative park I’ve ever seen. Its unique and unusual appearance, along with the futuristic design, really appeals to young people. I truly admire the kind of person who could come up with something like this. I absolutely love this kind of cool, chic design. The photos came out absolutely stunning!

Music Festivals
Copenhagen comes alive in the summer with a lineup of exciting events, including the jazz festival and the renowned Distortion Festival. The five-day street party celebrates electronic music, art, and urban culture with multiple music stages, art installations, and food vendors across the city's neighborhoods. Distortion culminates in a massive closing party known as Distortion O. This well-organized festival offers an eclectic mix of entertainment for attendees to enjoy.
Loved it, didn’t enjoy that some of the people attending were rude though - a lot of unnecessary heavy pushing. Otherwise enjoyed the music, the food, okay cockatils (although I couldn’t feel the alcholol in them, was a bit like juice). But overall I would visit again.

Absalon Hotel is a stylish 4-star property located in a prime shopping area of Copenhagen, just a short walk from the renowned Tivoli Gardens amusement park. The hotel offers bright rooms and suites with views of the garden, and guests can enjoy amenities such as a hip bar, bike rentals, and complimentary breakfast. Situated in the city center, it provides easy access to attractions like Nyhavn Canal and Meatpacking District Copenhagen.
Great place to stay for a Copenhagen visit! It is near the main station with buses, metro, and S-tog lines. The green initiative allows you to decline housekeeping for a reward, such as a voucher at the bar. Good breakfast options, including gluten- and lactose-free options. The staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are fun colors and comfortable.

I had a fantastic stay at Absalon Hotel Copenhagen. From the moment I arrived, the staff were welcoming, attentive, and genuinely helpful, which made a real difference to my trip. The room was spotless, stylish, and very comfortable, exactly what you’d hope for after a long day exploring the city. Breakfast was excellent with a wide variety of fresh options, and the overall atmosphere of the hotel felt relaxed yet professional. The location is also ideal, close to the station and within walking distance of many key spots in Copenhagen. Absalon manages to balance great design, comfort, and service perfectly. I would happily stay here again and highly recommend it, however room 49 was a bit noisy from the outside door swinging.

I had a great experience at Absalon Hotel in Copenhagen. The location is excellent – right in the vibrant Vesterbro district and only a short walk from the Central Station, Tivoli Gardens, and many cafes, restaurants, and shops. It’s an ideal base for exploring the city. The service was equally impressive. The staff were warm, attentive, and always ready to assist with recommendations or practical needs. Their hospitality created a welcoming atmosphere that made my stay even more enjoyable. Overall, Absalon Hotel combines a perfect central location with excellent service, making it a top choice for anyone visiting Copenhagen.
Kalina M — Google review
Nice room, well furnished with good lighting. You can dim the lights creating a nice ambience in the room. The hotel provides a bottle of body gel/shampoo instead of shampoo so minus one star for this. The PH level for shampoo is not the same as body gel so I do not understand why a 4 star hotel will do such a thing. To save cost? Bad for image. Location: Very near to Central Station which enables me to walk to the train station in 5 minutes, with 2 luggage. The bar in the evening is lively with music. A good place to chill. Breakfast, however, is BORING. I saw people circling the buffet table because there isn't much choice. I stayed two days and the 2nd day, only had some ham and tea.
Julia C — Google review
Good hotel location, 5 mins walk to the metro and train station which makes it super convenient. 3 stops to shopping district. The room is small if you have 2 Large cases. Pillows could be much fluffier. Otherwise it is clean and comfortable.
Zach L — Google review
Stayed here during my first visit to this city and it was great. Room was clean and spatious, the hotel position is perfect, and they also have a nice bar. The breakfast buffet was above my expectations, a great selection of fresh product. I will stay here again next time I visit.
Remus N — Google review
Only a 4 because details were missing. Great location. Service was fine. Blow dryer stopped working about 1/4 way through stying which was problematic. Didn’t love the super hard pillows. Shower was only warm. Shower dripped all night. For the price these details need tweaking and it would have been better.
Nina J — Google review
Fantastic hotel in a brilliant location. Hotel is right by the central station and a metro station. within walking distance of Tivoli gardens and also for most other attractions and sights if dont mind getting the steps in. Staff where all amazing and very happy to help with enquiries. Breakfast was a great selection and plenty of time for the early birds and those who like to lie in a bit. The hotel offers an optional green initiative scheme where you can opt out of housekeeping and receive either a bar voucher, reduced bike hire or a selection of toiletries which we where more than happy to do. Our room was lovely, clean and nice decor. Some guests where a little loud when returning to the hotel in the small hours but didn't detract from our stay much at all as it soon quietened down again. A fab hotel with a cozy feel and central Location. 10/10

Nyhavn is a picturesque waterfront and entertainment district in Copenhagen, known for its vibrant 17th and 18th-century townhouses painted in bright colors. This iconic spot offers bustling outdoor bars and restaurants with views of little boats on the canal. Notably, it was once home to Hans Christian Anderson, adding to its fairytale charm.
Amazing views on the boat tour — so peaceful I nearly nodded off! So many ships and incredible architecture everywhere. An absolute must for anyone into design or buildings. Loved every minute!
KUHP A — Google review
Nyhavn is an absolutely charming place to visit, and one of the highlights of our trip to Copenhagen. With its colorful row houses lining the canal, it truly feels like stepping into a postcard. The atmosphere is lively yet relaxing, making it a wonderful spot to simply stroll and take in the views. The waterfront is lined with plenty of restaurants and cafés, perfect for enjoying a meal or drink while people-watching and soaking up the vibrant surroundings. On sunny days, the place comes alive with energy, and the reflections on the canal make it especially picturesque. If you’re planning to take a canal or river cruise, be mindful of the schedules. Delays of 15–30 minutes are not uncommon, so it’s best to check the timing in advance to avoid waiting around. Nyhavn is also very family-friendly, with open spaces for walking, calm corners for resting, and food options to suit all tastes. Whether you’re traveling as a couple, with friends, or with children, it’s a place everyone can enjoy. Overall, we had a fantastic experience here. Between the stunning views, the welcoming atmosphere, and the abundance of dining options, Nyhavn is a must-visit in Copenhagen. We’d definitely recommend adding it to your itinerary!!

At night, I enjoyed a beautiful night view along with dinner and many other travelers. In the early morning, I went for a run and quietly admired the serene Danish sunrise. It’s a place where you can truly experience the happiness that travel brings, one hundred percent.
Mijung K — Google review
Forget the Little Mermaid and Tivoli Gardens, this is the single best thing to see in Copenhagen. The colourful buildings, the boats, the water, it’s all here in an easily visited compact area. Even on a sunny Sunday in September with the crowds out, it never felt too busy, and there were plenty of spots for great pictures. There are heaps of places to eat and have a drink, though none are particularly special, and boats leave from here to tour the canals. The main area is mercifully bike free so you can walk around without getting smashed if you step the wrong way.
Stephen S — Google review
Beautiful landmark in Copenhagen, Denmark, famous for its lines of colorful buildings wonderfully reflected in the canal. It’s packed with visitors walking around the area to catch its wonderful ambience, enjoy the cafes and restaurants along the canal, have a cruise and also shops for souvenirs. There’s a walking path as well so it’s ♿️✅ accessible and disability friendly. Parking might be tricky in the surrounding
Indah S — Google review
Nyhavn is the heart and soul of Copenhagen — colorful, lively, and full of charm. The row of brightly painted buildings along the canal looks like something out of a postcard, and the atmosphere is pure magic, whether you visit in the morning light or at sunset. It’s the perfect place for a stroll, a coffee by the water, or a meal at one of the many cozy restaurants and cafés. Street musicians, boats gliding by, and the cheerful energy of locals and travelers make it an experience that feels both vibrant and relaxing. Even if it’s one of the most popular spots in the city, Nyhavn never loses its authenticity or warmth. It’s a must-see landmark that captures the essence of Copenhagen — beautiful, historic, and effortlessly welcoming.
Hugo L — Google review
Very pretty, even on a rainy day. Love the many colors of the buildings and it has a cozy feel with the lights strung up at this time of year. Didn’t have a chance to eat at one of the many establishments but looks like a great experience dining along the canal. Quite beautiful!

Hostel
Urban House Copenhagen by MEININGER is a trendy and comfortable lodging option located in the heart of Copenhagen. It offers private rooms and shared dorms, making it suitable for various types of travelers. The hostel's modern design and cozy atmosphere create a welcoming environment for guests.
The hostel is near to the Central Station, you walk less than 5 min. Our clean 10 bed-room had an own bathroom with a toilet, shower and a hair-dryer. You find a nice guest kitchen there, where there are clean fridges to store your food and a shelf where to store your food which is not for the fridge. You can cook there, there is no need to bring pans and so on from home. One of the best hostels I have visited so far :) Before booking, think about, whether you‘d like to stay in a hotel or a hostel. I think many of the reviews which are not that good are written by people who have not stayed in a hostel before and only had chosen this nice and social place just because of the reasonable price. Thank u to the nice staff for our stay :)
J P — Google review
Urban House isn’t terrible but you definitely get what you pay for. The bathroom in my room needed a good deep cleaning as there was mold in the shower and sink. The WiFi was spotty. There was a power outage in the building that lasted about two hours. I appreciated that they put a sign up in the lobby about what was going on. The common areas are nice and I appreciated the outdoor space. The receptionists were very helpful. They give you more towels than most hostels and there is a hair dryer included in the private rooms. I don’t believe there was air conditioning but the window did open. It’s also close to the metro and a bus stop but is on kind of a loud street. It’s an affordable place to stay and is just fine if you’re only there for a few nights.
Sarah M — Google review
The hotel is in a nice and comfortable location, just a couple of minutes’ walk from the central station. Getting from the airport to the hotel took about 30 minutes total, which is amazing. It’s also close to a metro station, though I ended up walking everywhere since the city center was not far at all. The room was okay. We opted for a private room and found it quite comfortable. Breakfast was fine and enjoyable. The real issue with this hotel was the service. The receptionists were indifferent at best and downright rude at worst. I’ve stayed in multiple hotels from this chain over the past three years, and this was by far the worst service I’ve experienced. On a few occasions, staff switched to their own language to make comments about guests and what they were saying was far from polite (never assume the person in front of you doesn’t understand you). We also had an issue with the lockers for luggage storage (which you have to pay for). When we asked the receptionist for help, we received an extremely rude response that made us feel as if we had done something wrong just by asking. On top of that, the check-in lines were absurdly long.
Lara — Google review
Sadly, they’re really mean to school classes. We were very well behaved, and still they treated us like criminals. The night guards are mean and make you a little uncomfortable just for entering the building after night time(10pm). The location is great tho. A little mold never killed nobody but still I wish my bathroom to be clean if I pay this amount of money Allbeit , the rooms and service offers nothing to complain about. The actual converging thing, if you don’t like to be rushed while enjoying your meal is THE BREAKFAST!!! You’ve got an exactly scheduled appointment for 30 minutes that allows you to inhale your food, while your constantly friendly reminded, that the clock is ticking. Once the time is over you’re haunted by the staff to leave the breakfast room. This would not be a problem at all, if the queues wouldn’t take all your time, so that in total on a lucky day you munch down in 6 minutes. Still had a great time, but the receptionist is a really scary human being. My advice for the Copenhagen Urban house is to change their slogan that every employee wears on the workwear "in a world full of robots, I’m human“ should definitely be edited. If you’re looking for a scare house experience I would definitely recommend. Could be adventurous if you’re here with the right people, it didn’t ruin our Copenhagen trip. Also really well located if you wanna have a nice evening walk on the hooker street! Hope that helped to assist your choice of hostel.

Loved my stay at Urban House. This was my first solo trip and first time staying at a hostel so I wasn’t sure what to expect but I was happily surprised. I stayed in a 12 bed mixed room which I really enjoyed, everyone I met was very friendly and it was easy to find people to explore the city with. I didn’t find it particularly noisy at night, it wasn’t difficult to get to sleep. There was a bathroom/shower for this room which was clean and always accessible. Under the beds there was drawers for keeping your belongings which you can use your own padlock on. They have lockers in case you want to store your bags before you check in. The social areas and kitchen always had people around to chat with and everyone was very approachable/easy going! Downstairs at reception there was plenty of seating also. Location is excellent, very near to the train station and central. Pretty much all the major tourist attractions are within walking distance. This was the first of many hostel stays to come, highly recommend for people travelling solo who might want to make some buddies along the way :)

Location is everything. Super well located — right next to the central station and close to everything. Excellent service, good room, and fully equipped with everything working perfectly. Easy and smooth check-in and check-out. Entry only at 3:00 PM, but there’s a luggage storage on site for 30 DKK. The kitchen is small for the number of hostel rooms, and at certain times we had to wait for a spot even though it was off-season (October). Unfortunately, the hostel is undergoing renovations, so we didn’t have access to the lounge, TV, or games, and circulation was somewhat limited. Still, we weren’t informed in advance, no discount or compensation was offered. Other than that, we recommend it.
Vania T — Google review
We're freaking 5-6 people in a room with 1 bathroom. The hostel does not have auxiliary common bathrooms on each floor as other hostels around. Hell even the reception bar has no restrooms :) Doesn't need a civil engineer to have just a basic working head common sense. Also tend to cram rooms to the max while the occupancy could be more evenly distributed across all available rooms. Can't believe the huge building is close to full to warrant a close to max occupancy per single room..
Strategy C — Google review
I liked this place a lot. It tries hard to be a bit cool and edgy, but there are plenty of families staying here, as well as the backpackers. For a backpacker, I think this is an excellent choice - you have a shared kitchen and a hassle-free laundry, plus loads of chances to meet people and hang out. For me (with two teenage daughters) it was also fine. The rooms were clean and sufficient for our needs (nothing more, nothing less). The bathrooms are quite tiny, so if you are plus-size I would go elsewhere, but for us they were fine. My daughters slept in bunk beds, with my wife and I in the double bed. Plenty of storage for bits and pieces, and if you bring a padlock then it's quite secure. My only slight annoyances were (1) our room overlooked a service area, so we were woken up by the bins being put out at night, and again in the morning by a delivery (however, the staff were happy to change our room). If you're young and cool, this probably wouldn't bother you; (2) they don't have things like ice buckets (for booze) and they can't order you taxis or tickets to things or restaurant reservations (again, if you're young and cool, this probably isn't a problem); and (3) the breakfast was cold food only (boiled eggs, cold cuts, toast, etc) and was very bland (but no more bland than the food everywhere else in Denmark) - again, this probably doesn't matter to a young, cool backpacker. I advise bringing a bottle of hot sauce or your favourite condiment down for breakfast (and to every meal, everywhere in Denmark to be honest!) The location is great - literally two minutes from the Central Station. The area is a bit scruffy, but I didn't feel afraid. We rented bikes, which weren't the cheapest but avoided the scams and rip-offs associated with bike rentals elsewhere. The hotel bikes were well-maintained and fun to ride (NB: They aren't easy to ride as they are tall and back-pedalling is used to brake, etc, so I'd recommend experienced cyclists only!) The staff were all friendly and kind and there was never a queue for anything (we visited in July). I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for something basic and decent and relatively no-frills.

Steel House Copenhagen, formerly the Danish Union of Metalworkers' headquarters, has been transformed into a trendy urban hostel. The industrial-style building offers modern dorms and private rooms, as well as an indoor pool and a bar. The communal ground-floor area exudes a New York loft-inspired vibe with open-plan spaces for dining, socializing, and relaxation. The hostel features exposed brick and piping walls, stylish lighting, and comfortable seating areas.
We were nervous about staying at a hostel. We had 7 people and we were traveling on a budget. The rooms were small, but adequate for what you need if you are just wanting a place to sleep. The pod beds were actually quite comfortable. The location is great. It was within walking distance from the train station and Tivoli. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Great value for the price. Lots of things are add-ons if you want to use them like the gym and pool.

Steel house is in a great central location and is situated next to a nice lake and walk. The common areas on the ground floor are also lovely and have a good vibe and the beer at the bar is cheap. However we were disappointed at the very small size of the room. We went as a couple and we found it a squeeze. On booking.com they list all the facilities, but it is not made clear that you have to pay to use the swimming pool and other facilities. It was ridiculous that towels and bedding are not changed until after the fourth night, as most tourists would not be staying longer than that. When we asked for a change of towels and bedding they charged us for that (100 kr). There was no bin, table or bath mat in the room, which one would expect even in a basic room, even in a hostel. We had a double bed, but we had been given two single duvets. There was no iron in the room and when we asked whether there was one at all, they said no as people kept stealing them! The people in reception were friendly and helpful however. In all, not ideal for a family or a couple on holiday.

Amazing location, very easy to go walking to many touristic sites of the city. The room was spacious enough, with good toilet and shower. The hotel offers a pool, a gym, an spacious kitchen, a bar, and a big lounge area to hang out. I stayed here with a friend, and even though we booked separately, they put together in the same shared room. They included all 6 people in the room arriving and leaving at the same day, which made it very convenient for us to know each other and hang out together throughout our trip, which made it even greater. Continue arranging for people to stay together as much as possible like that! The stairs to go up to the top bunk beds is a bit tricky, with only a side bar to support, but it is possible to manage. Use of amenities like kitchen, gym and pool all require an extra payment. I think it makes sense, but still didn't like that as much.

Nice hostel with great backpackers atmosphere, lots of activities to offer, laundry room, kitchen, Arcade, etc. Rooms are small, we stayed at a double room and it was small (as almost every hostels) but it had its own bathroom with really good space. Something to improve was the quality of the bed. At the end of the day in terms of quality/price I think its a really good hostel.

Run down, and apparently on the verge of financial liquidation. The maintenance of everything related to the bathrooms is not acceptable. The drains are mostly clogged. And most of the toilet flush buttons - not only in the rooms but also in the public restrooms - don't work correctly. Either the button doesn't function at all or the water runs continuously. In the kitchen you'll find exactly three bowls suitable for breakfast or soup - for all the guests in the house who use the kitchen. Three bowls total. The photo was taken when there was nobody in the kitchen. Simply unbelievable. So, are guests supposed to eat their soup or porridge from a cup or a flat plate? Ancient chewing gum is stuck to the hallway floors. One really has to wonder whether this hostel will have to close within a few weeks because they're no longer investing money - either because they can't afford to or because they don't want to. It's utterly pathetic.

I stayed for 5 nights and therefore paid a one-time fee of DKK25 to get access to the kitchen. Kitchen is fine, about 8 induction spots and plenty of plates, bowls, cups, and pots/pans. Only problem is if people use it and take their time to wash up, the pans are dirty in the sink. My food got stolen on my last day as I had a late checkout, it was terrible. But at least the staff was nice enough to give me a sandwich. There are 3 fridges which could be abit squeezy for your food. Location is great, near Vestaport metro, but still far from popular attractions if you're fine with taking public transport everywhere. The bed is AWESOME, capsule style, you don't feel it if the person above you is moving around. Tiny walking space but that's expected. Thick blankets and ok pillow. Towels are provided, but although they said they'd change towels and linens on the 4th day, they didn't for me, so that was disappointing. I feedbacked to the front counter but only had 1 more night left so I didn't ask for a replacement. The toilet and shower are separate, with a sensor each that turns the light on everytime someone walks by, so it is distracting and noisy when people are showering. Also, the sensor is outside the showering area, so you have to wave your arm around every 2 mins WHILE SHOWERING, I hope they change that. If you do a late checkout (1pm), your access to the kitchen ends at 11am.

This hostel doesn’t feel like a party hostel or very intimate but it’s a solid experience if you are looking for a clean and functional hostel experience, e.g. if you like to keep to yourself or are travelling with a group of friends. It’s a really big building and its visitors are diverse, e.g. many families with (small) children.

It is much cheaper than the other regular hotel rooms, so it is indeed a big plus! But the room with a private bathroom, which I stayed this time, was too tiny and had even no space to open a big luggage. Also the balcony was too dirty with spider webs and other bugs so that we could not even open the window. Other than that, it was a good and cheap stay. Check-in and check-out was very easy online, I did not even have to talk to anyone in the hotel.

Wakeup Copenhagen, Borgergade is a vibrant and affordable hotel located in the heart of Copenhagen. Situated near popular attractions like Tivoli Gardens and Nyhavn Canal, this modern 2-star hotel offers stylish, air-conditioned rooms with complimentary Wi-Fi. Guests can enjoy the funky lounge, flat-screen TVs, and luxury beds while being within walking distance of Islands Brygge Street and other entertainment options.
I stayed here solo for six nights during a conference in July. The location is excellent. It is very close to the metro station, within walking distance of many historical landmarks, must-visit attractions, and popular shopping streets. My room was small but adequate for one person. The bed was comfortable, though I would have preferred more than one pillow. Storage space for clothes was limited, and while the shower area was fine for me, taller guests might find it a bit tight. Cleanliness was very good, including the bed, shower, and toilet. However, there was no refrigerator in the room. The air conditioner worked perfectly when needed. My room was on the first floor facing the front, where there were several cafes. On weekends, they stayed open late, and some noise could be heard in the room, which might bother light sleepers like me. But otherwise, the hotel was very quiet. Breakfast was excellent, with many fresh and varied options. The staff were generally helpful and polite. Overall, I had a very positive stay.

The most we've ever paid for a hotel room and the smallest room. We paid 4195 DKK ($914 CAD, £492) per night. That's 3.2 times their regular rate of 1310 DKK (3 weeks later, same room, not including breakfast). Our mistake was to be in Copenhagen the weekend of the half marathon, but this did not give the hotel the right to rip us off to this extent. When we got to the room it was minuscule. It was clearly intended for a single person, not a couple, to the extent that the bedding and towel for the second person were in an under-bed drawer. The room size of 12 sq metres was not obvious when booking, being hidden well down the FAQs, and this included the toilet/shower cubicle. We chose to pay a small premium for a "WakeUp Heaven" room which promised a "beautiful view"; we were on the 6th floor and looked straight across the street into the windows of the building opposite, below the roof line. No standard amenities (no kettle, coffee maker, safe, bath-mat). No drinking glasses, just 2 paper cups. It is essentially more like a hostel than a hotel — probably OK for a single person doing an overnight. On the plus, the location is good, the rooms clean and the extra-cost breakfast, although a bit of a zoo, was up to normal standards. But you should not feel angry as soon as you enter your hotel room — we did.

Wakeup Copenhagen Borgergade is a modern and well-located hotel right in the heart of Copenhagen city. Its location is one of the best parts you can easily walk to major attractions, restaurants, shopping areas, and parks within minutes. The metro station is just about a 7-minute walk away, making travel around the city very convenient. The hotel offers breakfast only, but it’s quite good with a selection of coffee, juices, bread, pastries, fruits, and non-veg options. They also provide bicycle rentals and taxi booking services, which are great for tourists. The rooms are compact but cozy, with attached bathrooms. Only shampoo is provided, and if your charger doesn’t fit Danish sockets, adapters can be purchased at reception. The Wi-Fi is strong, and the lifts are secure, requiring key access. The lobby is spacious and modern, suitable for relaxing or short meetings. They even have luggage storage facilities for guests with early checkouts or late flights. The reception staff are friendly and very helpful, always ready to guide you about the city. Checkout is super fast just hand over the key! They accept cash and card payments, and VAT bills are provided. A perfect stay for travelers looking for comfort and convenience at a fair price.

I came to Copenhagen for a conference and chose this hotel because it was listed among the organizers’ recommendations. Unfortunately, I didn’t read the reviews beforehand — and that was a big mistake. The rooms are extremely small, barely enough space to move around. The shower cabin is right next to the bed, cylindrical and very narrow, with unstable water temperature — it can suddenly switch from cold to boiling hot, and there’s literally no room to step aside. The room lacks even the most basic amenities you’d expect in any hotel — not a single glass or cup for water. Rooms are not cleaned at all, under the excuse of being “eco-friendly,” though it’s quite clear this is just cost-cutting at the guest’s expense. Even if you notify the staff the night before that you’d like your room cleaned and fresh towels the next day, nothing happens. Breakfast is very poor and disorganized: limited food options, crowded space, and you have to clear other people’s dishes just to find a place to sit. To make matters worse, they charge for baggage storage — and don’t even issue a receipt. In short, hugely overpriced for what it offers. The location may be good, but everything else is at the level of a low-budget hostel. Absolutely not recommended.

Overall good experience. The Hotel is very central within walking distance to any major tourist attractions. The room was small but clean and practical. I like that they allowed us to do the checkin one hour before 15:00 which was really appreciated. One downside I think is the breakfast that I did not actually like. For the money we payed I think we had plenty of food but I just did not like the assortment.
Teebs — Google review
Great hotel in a fantastic location. It's clean, the bed was comfortable, and it was quiet. It was the cheapest place I found in downtown Copenhagen, outside of shared dorm rooms in hostels. You are in a city, so I imagine the noise can vary a lot. My room was on the back side, facing away from the streets, so I had my window open all night and it was very quiet. I doubt you could do that on the other side of the building with all the street noise. Look, you're getting a standard Scandinavian hotel here. The rooms are small, the bathrooms are small, the shower is very small, and very different from an American shower. That's just how it is here, and if you want something different, you're going to have to pay a lot more for a luxury hotel.
Kevin M — Google review
Fantastic location, comfortable bed besides the headboard. No kettle, no tea/coffee in the room and only one set of bathroom towels despite booking for 2. WiFi is good, TV is easy to cast from your phone & HDMI ports available.
Rob — Google review
Lets talk about my experience here. The breakfast is horrible, just 4 counters, two of them with just ham, one type of cheese and cucumber or tomato, depending on the days. The other for pastry (curasant and similar) and another for the coffee and the worst powder juice I’ve ever tried. Thanks God coffee was acceptable. Then the service. This is the type of hotel that identify themself as “environmentally friendly” meaning that room service only passes if you ask for it in reception. Grate, that is cool. Do you want to know when do they pass even though i had asked for it? After 5pm if you are lucky. Out of 4 days my room was never cleaned. And then the room.. i do not know if it was just mine but, I didn’t have hot air. And beds… huge but with a small quilt. So after a few moves the tiny quilt moves. The only thing that really matters is the location, next to all main tourist attractions and on the night leisure area. I would not recommend this hotel at all.

Hostel
Copenhagen Downtown Hostel is a trendy lodging located in the old part of Copenhagen, near City Hall Square and the parliament. It's within walking distance of popular attractions like Christiansborg Palace, Tivoli Gardens, Kastellet, and the Little Mermaid. The hostel offers modest dorms and rooms along with amenities such as a bar, free dinner, and a shared kitchen. Its central location provides easy access to local hotspots including nightlife, shopping streets, fusion restaurants, and museums.
Overall, this was one of my favorite hostels in Europe. We opted for a capsule room, which was quite comfortable, and personal space was respected. The hostel is quite large, and since even the standard rooms have capsules, it can feel busy. I did find the number of bathrooms on each floor a bit low, and unfortunately, some guests didn’t keep them as clean as they could. Also, there were no lockable lockers in our room, so we had to store our belongings inside the capsule, which made the space feel a bit cramped – I think this should be mentioned beforehand. On the positive side, the rooms and floors were cleaned daily, which was great. I feel hostels like this should encourage younger travelers for tourism purposes, as some guests inside can be a bit disruptive. The hostel itself was very good, and having a bar on-site makes the street outside lively and enjoyable in the evenings. Nearby restaurants also cater well to adults, adding to the cheerful atmosphere. A few practical notes: on your first and last day, early arrival can be tricky because luggage storage is paid, which I think shouldn’t be the case in a hostel. Check-in at 3 PM is quite late, so free storage for early arrivals would be ideal. The bar offers very reasonable prices at certain hours, which is worth considering. The capsule units have charging ports, so people shouldn’t worry about that. Overall, despite a few small issues, it was a very enjoyable stay and a hostel I would recommend.

Gigi and Denis are the best!! The hostel bar is definitely a recommendation and was always lots of fun. 10/10. Unfortunately the rooms themselves were not my favorite and not the cleanest. Toilet situation (cleanliness as well as amount of toilets//people was difficult.). Cleaning (or at least changing the trash bin) didn’t happen daily, not even on arrival. :-/ Couldn’t reach anyone at the reception by phone and my mail wasn’t answered either. Unfortunate. Price about 30€/night, so that’s fair. Haven’t tried breakfast, so I don’t know about that. Summary - go to the bar and enjoy a great time with wonderful people! Happy hour from 6-8 pm. ;-)

I don't have a single complaint about this hostel, the hygiene is at a high level, the cleaning staff is very diligent after everyone who takes a shower, the capsules are nice and comfortable, it was me and my boyfriend, we had a great time. The location is perfect, everything is close to you, the street is quiet, the rooms are noisy from the cafes. Check-in is easy, you enter the cafe and you have screens where you check in yourself, after leaving the hotel you can also check out on those same screens, everyone is very friendly and nice. In the basement of the cafes you have a kitchen where there are fridges you can leave your food you just need to mark it as yours no one will touch your food don't worry. Thank you Downtown for a very nice experience.

everything was great!!! The toilet can sometimes smell, but there is a cleaner who goes around the toilet every day. has toilet paper all the time, hair dryer.. the room we were in was clean, as were the bed linen and the whole capsule.. the plugs for the charger didn't work for us but everything else worked and was great

The place was really cheap and great value for money. Also the location is great. But toilets were hard to flush and showers were dirty. Rooms need some renovation. It was also nice to have own sink in the room.

Would not recommend, we paid €15 for early check in as we arrived in town at 6:30am exhausted from an overnight train, we were then told after paying that early check in started at 10am, understandable but annoying, we went and checked out the town nearby for awhile and came back at 11:30 and were told that our rooms were still not ready and we ended up having to wait normal check in time (latest check in I’ve had at 3pm). The kitchen can’t even be called kitchen. All it has is a microwave and electric kettle, not even a sink. And it closes at 10pm so hopefully you’re not hungry after a long day of walking around the town. They also charge extra for luggage storage while having a 3pm check in. The only positive things I can say about this place are that it is decently clean and it is in a nice area.
Curtis S — Google review
Overall decent hostel… Kitchen sucked.. don’t count on making food unless it’s microwaveable… customer service wasn’t good.. the check-in system is useless. We paid for early check in at 10 and they said our room wasn’t ready yet at noon. The rooms smell like garbage. They close the kitchen and pool table area wayyyy too early. At 10pm. It’s the only chill and not loud place to meet others other than outside. Ig they would rather have us eat in our beds than in the kitchen. It’s a pointless rule and I recommend they change it if they want happy travelers… also this hostel has a ton of old men. Super strange, especially as a young woman traveler. I was in a mixed dorm and there were no other women in there only men between the ages of 25-60. It has a lot of great potential… but probably the most annoying and inconvenient stay I’ve had on this 3 month trip.

Forgot to take my lunche in the morging, they did everything to get it back for me. The rooms and hallways where need, sturdy beds, so when you turn around, no one is waken up. Sanitary units are not so tidy installed and could have little attention.

The Copenhagen Admiral Hotel, originally an 18th-century warehouse, has been transformed into a maritime-themed hotel. Situated on the Copenhagen waterfront with Amalienborg Palace and Nyhavn canal nearby, it offers a prime location for exploring the city's attractions. The hotel's historic surroundings include tall ships docking in front and a waterfront patio for enjoying the views. The contemporary rooms feature Scandinavian style with beamed ceilings and neutral tones, some offering harbor views.
I had a wonderful stay at the Admiral Hotel in Copenhagen. We were upgraded to a beautiful duplex loft, which made our stay extra special. The hotel is in a perfect location and right in the city center, very clean, and within walking distance to everything. The international breakfast with a channel view was a great way to start the day. Most importantly, the staff were super friendly and welcoming, which really made us feel at home. Highly recommend this hotel💙💫

Staying at the Admiral Hotel was an absolute delight The location couldn’t be better right on the waterfront, just steps from Nyhavn and other main attractions. The building itself is full of character, with beautiful wooden beams and a charming mix of history and modern comfort. Our room was spacious, spotless, and well equipped, with a lovely harbor view. The breakfast was plentiful and fresh, and the dining area had such a warm, inviting atmosphere. Staff were professional, friendly, and always ready to help, making the stay feel truly welcoming. From the perfect location to the attentive service, Admiral Hotel is an excellent choice for anyone visiting Copenhagen. Highly recommended!

A really nice hotel in a nice area of Copenhagen. A bit on the outskirts of Nyhavn, but still close to virtually every attraction. The area is quiet and posh. Nice rooms and ambience to the hotel. Not quite five stars due to a very pricey breakfast - it is good but go charge 260 DKK on top of the room price is almost robbery. In addition some fluctuating service - some of the staff is five stars, while others could improve a bit in friendliness. But all in all a good hotel and I would like to come back again.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Admiral Hotel in Copenhagen, and I must say it offers an exceptional experience that beautifully blends tradition with modern comfort. The hotel is situated in a historic 18th-century warehouse, which has been meticulously preserved to retain its authentic charm while incorporating contemporary design elements. This thoughtful setup creates a unique ambiance that is both inviting and steeped in Danish heritage. From the moment you step inside, you can appreciate the meticulous attention to detail that honours the building's maritime past. The interiors showcase exposed brick walls, wooden beams, and stylish furnishings that respect the original architecture while providing all the conveniences one expects from a top-tier establishment. The rooms are spacious, well-appointed, and feature modern amenities without detracting from the overall historical atmosphere. Moreover, the location of the Admiral Hotel is exemplary, positioned right by the waterfront with stunning views of the harbour. This makes it a perfect base for exploring Copenhagen's rich cultural scene and vibrant city life. The staff are exceptionally professional and attentive, further enhancing the stay with their warm hospitality. In summary, the Admiral Hotel stands out not just for its superb facilities and prime location, but for its dedication to preserving the tradition and history of Copenhagen in an elegant and thoughtful manner. I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the city who appreciates a blend of heritage and comfort.

This is a 5 star + review. Minor discrepancy with my room was solved immediately. Front desk is a bunch of superstars. Consierge guided me to an amazing luncplace, decided to eat dinner there as well. Room i spotless, clean, cozy and a very comfortable bed. Hotel restaurant and bar has wonderful staff and view. Right on the wharf overlooking opera house and various sights in the harbour. 10 min walk to royal palaces & guard change @ 12PM. Around a half a mile to the Little Mermaid along said wharf. A very high class 'Aye Aye' restaurant & fabulous breakfast room with equally fabulous breakfast selections. A very old functional building now made special with sympathetic & tasteful refurbishments. 5mins walk to Nyvah canal and its highlights. They also boast a lovely outside terrace with bar & snacks, blankets & heating. Taxis on site, along with bike & buggy hire. Recommended for being central & quiet at night with lovely views.

Loved my stay at the Admiral Hotel! The building’s old timber beams and waterfront location give it so much character. My room, a loft, was cozy and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout. The breakfast buffet was excellent, and the view over the harbor was beautiful. Exceptional stay – truly five-star service at Marriott Copenhagen After a disappointing experience at another hotel, we were lucky to find a room at the Marriott Copenhagen — and what a difference it made. From the moment we arrived, we were treated like royalty. The service was warm, genuinely friendly, and highly professional. Every member of staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome and comfortable. Our room was spacious and beautifully appointed, with a stunning view over the water — exactly what we needed after a long journey. It was peaceful, luxurious, and felt like a true escape. The food was a highlight in itself. Both the breakfast and dinner were absolutely outstanding — worthy of a Michelin star. The quality, presentation, and attention to detail were unmatched, and each meal was a true culinary experience. This stay completely transformed our city trip and gave us the romantic and relaxing experience we were hoping for. We will absolutely return, and can wholeheartedly recommend Marriott Copenhagen to anyone seeking comfort, class, and exceptional hospitality.

Nice, quiet hotel right on the waterfront. Some of the rooms are newly renovated, and the staff were friendly and helpful. It’s about a 10-minute walk from the train station, which is super convenient. Just a heads-up — don’t take a taxi from the airport. We paid almost €100 for a 15-minute ride, which was wild. Denmark is definitely more expensive than other EU countries, so be prepared for that. The hotel has bikes you can rent, which is a fun way to get around. The Executive Lounge is a nice touch with good snacks and drinks, but it can get a bit crowded at times. As for Copenhagen itself to be honest, I didn’t find it that special. It’s nice, but nothing really wowed me. I’d say 2 nights is more than enough if you really want to check it off your list. Overall, solid hotel in a peaceful spot, just manage your expectations for the city and budget accordingly.

We stayed 2 nights at this hotel and found it a good option. We were in an executive level room and had a nice water view. The room itself was clean and spacious. Our rate included breakfast and it was plentiful and well presented. The staff members we encountered were all pleasant and helpful. One of the bellmen was very helpful one evening giving me directions. The hotel felt a little generic to me since I generally am drawn to places with some charm. But that being said, it was still an extremely pleasant stay. We were able to walk to places we wanted to visit in 15-20 minutes. Overall it was a fine choice for us.

The renovated rooms are really quite impressive. Executive lounge is conveniently located on the lobby floor and has much more seating than it first appears. Nonetheless it does get very crowded during breakfast hours. Hotel has a 24 hour fitness gym and my favorite part is the sauna that closes at 11pm! Perfect place to wind down after a long day of walking around.

Where on earth are they hiding? 👀🧐 Under the bed? In the closet? Maybe in a secret staff-only dimension? I never found out – but at the Copenhagen Marriott Hotel, staff don’t seem to be everywhere… until you actually need them. Then they magically appear — friendly, polite, and genuinely warm, never with that overly rehearsed hotel smile. The room service menu might look modest, but don’t be fooled: the dishes are creative, fresh, and surprisingly delicious. You can tell real thought went into both flavor and presentation. The one big downside – and it’s a significant one – is the bed. It’s hard. Uncomfortably so. For a hotel of this caliber, that’s a real miss, and a mattress upgrade would make all the difference between “very good” and “outstanding.” All in all: a stylish hotel with staff who seem to teleport when you need them – and beds that might double as gym equipment.

Staying at the Copenhagen Marriott Hotel was truly exceptional. The stunning lake view creates a sense of peace and relaxation, while the rooms are spacious and very comfortable with thoughtful details. The lobby is elegant and stylish, reflecting the hotel’s refined atmosphere. The management and staff are professional, welcoming, and always ready with a smile, making you feel right at home. A memorable experience that I would gladly repeat.

The rooms are old and not clean. The so-called “cleaned” room was just tidied up — the bed sheets hadn’t been changed. The water was cut off on our first day. It’s far from the city center but close to the station, so the location is somewhat acceptable. However, the overall value for money was disappointing. I definitely wouldn’t stay there again!
Rıfat Ç — Google review
The location of the Marriott Hotel is excellent — very central and convenient for exploring the city. The breakfast was fine, nothing special but acceptable. Unfortunately, the rooms feel quite dated, and the wall-to-wall carpet everywhere gives a somewhat shabby impression. Upon arrival, the room was freezing cold. The heating didn’t work, and even after adjusting the climate control panel, the temperature wouldn’t increase. After informing the front desk, a technician came promptly and fixed the issue, explaining that the panel had been incorrectly set. However, there was no apology or acknowledgment from the front desk — just a brief nod. When mentioning it again at check-out, I received only a short “sorry,” without any gesture of goodwill (not even a complimentary drink or similar). Overall, this experience did not meet the standards expected of a five-star hotel.

Axel Guldsmeden Hotels is a charming and eco-friendly hotel located in the heart of Copenhagen's vibrant Vesterbro district. The property features warm quarters with 4-poster beds, a tapas-style restaurant, and a spa offering organic treatments using natural products. The hotel's design combines Nordic and Balinese elements, creating an enchanting atmosphere that reflects the owner's love of Bali and commitment to sustainability.
We recently returned from a stay at the Axel Guldsmeden Hotel in Copenhagen and had a wonderful experience. The hotel is perfectly located with easy access to the train station, which made getting around the city simple and convenient. When booking, I had made a mistake by not selecting an interconnecting family room, but the staff were incredibly helpful and quickly arranged the correct accommodation for us without any fuss. The family room was perfect and suited all our needs. One of the standout features was the thoughtful amenities provided. The hotel supplies bamboo toothbrushes, bamboo hairbrushes, organic body oils, and moisturisers—small touches like these really make a stay more enjoyable and relaxing. We also dined in the hotel’s restaurant one evening, and I must compliment both the chef and waiting staff—the food was absolutely delicious and service was excellent. The only small downside was the softness of the mattresses. We personally prefer a firmer bed, but this is just a matter of taste. The bed linen and mattresses were perfectly clean and well-kept otherwise. What truly made our stay special was the staff. From the reception team to the housekeeping staff and even the maintenance person, everyone was warm, friendly, and genuinely helpful. They really do make or break a holiday, and in this case, they made it a great one. We would highly recommend the Axel Guldsmeden Hotel to anyone visiting Copenhagen.

We really liked the room design and the hotel’s sustainability-focused concept. However, a few things were disappointing. We only found out at check-in that there was no air conditioning, which made the room uncomfortably warm during summer. The bathroom was quite small, no slippers were provided, and the in-room safe wasn’t working. Although we informed reception, no one came to fix it. We also requested a bath mat for the second day, but it was never delivered. The reception staff were generally kind, but too busy to offer much help. For a 4-star hotel, the service didn’t meet our expectations. With a few improvements, the experience could be much better.

Hotel was fantastic. Reception was super friendly and gave lots of wonderful recommendations. Rooms were lovely and definitely loved the fact that the hotel is focused on sustainability. Walking to trains is easy and super easy to get to places using the train system or you can walk wherever you want. The hotel had a very pretty courtyard and breakfast was exceptionally yummy!

We came to this hotel for our wedding event! The room and atmosphere were absolutely lovely. We really appreciated the helpfulness of the staff, we were always accommodated in a friendly and supportive manner. We did not know how to use the spa, as it is quite small and we were unsure of the situation there. However, we appreciated the gym set up, it was quite simple but unique and it was a nice addition to our stay. Overall, we would stay again at this hotel. It was romantic and a lovely time.

The hotel was great. The breakfast was amazing. Service excellent. Very friendly people. Our only disappointment was the level of street noise in the night. We were in the second building across the courtyard. We think there is a student dorm across the street from the hotel. Young people would gather nightly and it would be noisy. Sometimes very late. It you book, insure that you are have a courtyard facing room. Or bring earplugs if you fac the street. The hotel cannot be faulted for street noise, as this is a popular area in a big city.

Nice hotel, one of the best I have stayed in in central Copenhagen as others seem to be overrated. The only issue is that the shower absolutely soaked the entire wetroom style bathroom (Room 1205) However the issue is not enough for me to not stay in exactly the same room another time, Just a bit annoying. I have already booked in another trip for December and booked this hotel which is now my standard "go to" hotel when travelling for work, which was previously the Raddisson Blu.

Really cute, characterful hotel, bang in the middle of the city - only a few minutes walk to the train and metro, and airport 3 stops away. The loveliest friendliest people working there, delicious buffet breakfast, with literally everything you could imagine or want. Beds astonishingly comfortable, and pillows too. Highly respect their eco friendly credentials and goals. A rare gem and highly highly recommended.

Nice holiday/ weekend getaway from home. At the heart of Copenhagen and a walking distance from the train station, the location is perfect. The staff, eco feeling, breakfast, service is amazing. Strongly recommend!

Nimb Hotel, an SLH Hotel, is a luxurious establishment with a regal ambiance. It offers a variety of amenities including a bakery and four restaurants, as well as a rooftop infinity pool and cocktail lounge. The hotel's 19th-century building overlooks the picturesque Tivoli Gardens and features 17 high-spec traditional rooms. In 2017, it expanded to include 21 modern bedrooms in a striking glass-and-wood extension.
I've indulged in two Nimb Wellness treatments and felt like I was in heaven afterwards - they are excellent. Despite the wellness centre being off the busy Copenhagen street, you are completely immersed into a wonderfully relaxing environment right upon entry. - The Quick Fix massage does just the trick for a soothing but efficient massage and I highly recommend Bibi, a lovely and pleasant masseuse

I stayed here for 5 nights and had a fantastic experience. The location is perfect—just steps from Copenhagen’s main train station and right next to Tivoli. Super easy to get around and enjoy the city. The staff were outstanding—one even offered to go out and buy a gift I forgot to pick up, which was incredibly kind. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Copenhagen!
Kun L — Google review
One of the most extraordinary hotel experiences ever. Nimb is both so convenient for access to the city and from train station, but also offers incredible access to the Tivoli gardens at any time they’re open, complimentary. Want to grab a coffee and stroll around the gardens? Go ahead! Want to attend the concerts they have in there? Yep—wander on in. How about those rooms?! Old school boutique feel with fireplaces. The staff are extraordinarily helpful and nice too. Service is top notch. Genuinely one of the best hotel experiences I’ve ever had. They’re like no one else out there. Hilton probably doesn’t even deserve them in their chain, because they exceed every Hilton offering. Just exceptional. 10/5 stars if I could
Kyle — Google review
One of the best hotels in Copenhagen. The location is amazing, the rooms are beautiful and you really get the Danish feeling of "Hygge". A bonus is free access to Tivoli! The gym and spa area is nice and the breakfast is amazing. I can highly recommend this hotel.
Jannik W — Google review
I walk in and feel looked after right away: soft scent, warm light, calm hush. The room feels like a hug—crisp sheets, a deep, comfy bed. Staff are attentive without hovering. Morning moves gently, good coffee and no rush. Not cheap, but I leave feeling I genuinely treated myself.
Baker R — Google review
As an American Express Centurion member, I’ve come to expect a certain caliber of hospitality — attention to detail, respectful service, and a seamless experience. Unfortunately, my recent lunch at Nimb Hotel in Copenhagen failed spectacularly on all fronts. From the moment I arrived, the service was inattentive and dismissive. The staff were not only unaccommodating but at times outright rude. There was an apparent lack of training, professionalism, and basic courtesy — all of which are unacceptable, especially at a property that prides itself on luxury and refinement. It felt as though the lunch staff were burdened by the very presence of guests. Requests were met with eye-rolls or ignored entirely. At no point was I made to feel welcome or valued. This is not just a matter of a “bad day” or a small misstep — it reflects a systemic failure in hospitality culture and management oversight. What’s more troubling is that this happened at an establishment affiliated with a venue as iconic as Tivoli Gardens and one that claims membership in a leading hotel group. If this is the standard offered to a Centurion cardholder, I shudder to imagine how regular guests are treated.
Don D — Google review
I need to start by saying this might be the most unique and special hotel I've ever stayed at. Having been fortunate enough to experience some of the world's best spa hotels, numerous Ritz-Carltons, Four Seasons, and St. Regis properties, Nimb simply stands apart in a category all its own. What makes it so magical is its seamless integration with Tivoli Gardens. Our room had a stunning view directly into the park. I'll never forget the experience of sitting with a drink and watching a live play being performed on the stage just outside our window. It truly feels like you are in a private, serene world apart from everything else. Another favorite moment was looking out the window early in the morning and watching the gardeners and staff quietly prepare the park for the day; it felt like getting a secret glimpse behind the curtain. The people-watching is unparalleled. The luxury is certainly there. The room finishes were excellent, the provided robes and slippers were very high quality, and my wife loves the Nimb handbag she kept as a souvenir. The service was flawless from the moment we arrived. The staff met our car at the curb and handled all our luggage seamlessly, both coming and going. We had a fantastic dinner at the Nimb Brasserie, enjoying the wonderful food on the patio while watching the park-goers. Be prepared for some friendly bees, but as the hotel is in Tivoli GARDENS, that is to "bee" expected! Also worth mentioning, though not part of the hotel itself, the easy park access meant we also had very easy access to dine at the amazing rotating Michelin stat pop-up offering (Smoked Room while we were there) in the Japanese Pagoda, which was worth every penny. While nearly everything was perfect, a couple of minor notes: the spa was just okay for us, with a nice hammam but a steam room that wasn't overly steamy. And while the rooftop pool is visually stunning, it can feel a bit like you're on display to the surrounding bar and restaurant patrons. These were small things in an otherwise perfect stay. This is more than just a hotel; it's an experience. A final practical tip: the more affordable rooms are limited, so you need to book way, way in advance to secure one. We cannot recommend Nimb highly enough.

Hotel SP34 - By Brøchner Hotels is a stylish hotel located in the lively Latin Quarter of Copenhagen. The hotel, which opened in 2014, pays homage to the neighborhood and mid-century Danish design. It is housed in historic townhouses and offers clean-lined furnishings and muted tones in each room, creating a Danish home ambiance for guests. The lobby features a stylish bar and lounge serving coffee, beer, and wine throughout the day.
We had a fantastic stay at SP 34 Hotel. The rooms were great, and the apartments offered excellent value for money—especially convenient when traveling with a child. The staff were outstanding: when our flight was cancelled, they managed to move our booking forward by a day so we could still stay the extra night, which was a huge help. Their flexibility and hospitality made a stressful situation much easier. Overall, a wonderful hotel that I would highly recommend.

Beautiful accommodation for a city trip to Copenhagen in a perfect location The location of the hotel is great. It is located in the Latin Quarter, a central district with lots of charm, restaurants and bars. However, it is not overcrowded or hectic, but rather relaxed. Many important attractions are within walking distance, otherwise you can hire a bike or use public transport. We also liked the very friendly staff and the relaxed atmosphere at the bar. The furnishings in the room are a little sparse, we would have liked a little more cupboard space. There is a small fridge, which we could have used in the summer temperatures, but it was working. The breakfast is extensive, but somewhat special, as it is very "organic". There is no white bread or rolls etc. However, friends of organic food and vegans will certainly appreciate this. When we reported a minor technical problem in the bathroom, we were told that there is no technician there at the weekend to look at it.

Very nice hotel in the centre. We had smaller room, but it has everything we needed and was pretty cosy. Breakfast was fantastic, wide range of organic food, served very attractive way. Stuff was very friendly and helpful. 10 minutes to metro station, bike rental opposite and also Donkey republic bike stands few meters away. Everyday free wine hour 17-18 in the foyeur and free spirit hour 22-23. Hope we will return sometimes in the future ♥️

An amazing and comfy stay in the heart of the city. We had an Apartment. It was clean, decently sized with heated floors in the ensuite. They include free laundry facilities & dryer (we’re on a big euro trip and this saves so much money and time) a gym and happy hour for drinks. My favourite thing was breakfast. About 90-100 percent of options were organic! Heaps of options plus coffee, teas and the best smoothies. Honeslty well worth it as Denmark is so expensive. Hotel desk service is 24 hours. They have an amazing lobby. Well furnished and very inviting. Highly recommend!

The staff at the front desk were very kind and welcoming, especially the girl who checked us in — she was lovely and even offered us a replacement room before we saw it, which says a lot… Unfortunately, the room with the slanted ceiling wasn’t very comfortable, and the sofa was dirty. The shower also needed a squeegee — water went everywhere. The food was okay, just standard, but the plates were dirty and it didn’t feel very clean. Overall, the service was great and friendly, but the cleanliness and comfort could definitely be improved.

Wow wow! Such a great central location. Also an amazing organic breakfast with plenty of options including Barista made coffee and freshly made smoothies! Also has a gym and laundry (with washing machine, dryer and powder included) for no extra cost. At night between certain hours, they offer free wine and spirits for guests! Apartments were warm, clean and so well equipped. Staff were friendly and helpful. We were a walk away from Stroget and many main sights. Would highly recommend!

It is in a great location. It is close to the copenhagen central station and the norrerport subway stop. The breakfast was great, and they do a complimentary wine hour and later on a complimentary drink hour. The room was very small, but we didn't spend alot of time in it. Also very close to Tivoli. There was a kafe about a block away that had a fabulous rooibos tea.
Natalie N — Google review
Value for money is terrible. Extremely expensive for a small, dirty room that had 0 decoration or attention to detail. There was dust in obvious spots, calcium accumulation in the kettle and rust below the kettle’s station. Bed was horrible. We asked for a king size bed and we got 2 beds covered with a topper. If you’re willing to spend the money for their standard rate rooms, do yourself a favour and go somewhere else.

Nestled at the end of the iconic Nyhavn Canal, 71 Nyhavn Hotel is a charming boutique hotel housed in two converted 19th-century warehouses. The hotel offers elegant rooms and suites with harbor views and original artwork, blending historic details like wood beams and brick walls with modern comforts such as leather headboards and contemporary furnishings. Guests can enjoy the vibrant surroundings of colorful buildings, waterfront cafes, and happening restaurants.
Excellent stay. Staff was incredible. Our flight arrived at 5:30 in the morning. We knew we couldn't expect the room to be ready, even though we were exhausted. When we arrived at the hotel around 7:00 a.m., the front desk staff started looking for a room as soon as we walked up to the desk. They didn't have any, but took our luggage and email address to notify us as soon as one was cleaned. They then gave us recommendations for breakfast and sites to visit in the early morning. All excellent. Room was ready by 10:00 a.m. and when we returned, they were already taking our luggage to the room. The room itself was great. Looked out over the small harbor and was very quiet. Bed was very comfortable and we slept great. Very, very clean which is always important in a hotel. Breakfast included and it was excellent. Many selections and great quality.

Fantastic location, very quaint property but quality of your experience is highly dependant upon what room you get. Rooms facing the canal are excellent. Breakfast is fantastic and will satisfy your appetite for the entire day.

Stayed for 3 nights. Thank you for early check-in at 11:30 AM ! without surcharge. Wonderful hotel at very nice location. Located at the sea side end of the canal. Must stay at a room with sea (canal) view. The room is clean and comfortable. Very kind and friendly staffs. The restaurant at the ground floor is also very nice. Enjoy dinner at the restaurant (Pasta and Lamb). The only cons is very expensive price (maybe at high season).

Stayed with kids in the suite. Easily the best room I've ever stayed in. Lots of natural light and water views. Thoughtful/convenient design, made to feel private but somehow central. Great breakfast, strong coffee. Many thanks to the helpful and bright staff. It was truly perfect.

I really can’t say enough and If there were six stars I would rate it that. We love staying at this property. The location is beautiful. The staff is so so very helpful and friendly. The decor is off the hook. Just sit in the foyer reception area of the hotel and look at the lighting, art work, furniture. I mean come on. The attention to detail is insane. The rooms have original wooden beams and cozy angels. The beds are from a Swedish company and were very very comfortable. Nice Nespresso machine in the room also. Excellent full on Danish breakfast served daily. You can dine inside or outside. Pure perfection. Excellent drinks (mojito for me) and phenomenal red wine selection. We enjoyed many glasses. You can check it out in the case near the restaurant. Beautiful new bikes to use as well. No charge to the guests. I just love staying here.

Lovely staff and hotel, the only thing missing is a view. We thought we had purchased a better room, obviously not. My “Room with a View” amalgamation during our month’s long Northern Europe trip unfortunately will include the attached. A sad addition to an otherwise beautiful hotel. Once bitten twice shy. Breakfast was lovely.

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel 71 Nyhavn! The location is perfect—right in the heart of charming Nyhavn, with beautiful waterfront views, easy metro access, and most of the city’s highlights within walking distance. The service was excellent, especially from Patrick, who went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. He surprised us with bubbly and a thoughtful card when he found out we were celebrating a special occasion, and he gave us great tips for nearby restaurants and things to do. The rooms are cozy and full of character—beautifully converted from an old warehouse, blending rustic charm with modern comfort. We had a view of the water which was very pretty and lively, though there was some sound from the pier outside at night. Highly recommend for an authentic Copenhagen experience!

Hotel Ottilia - By Brøchner Hotels is a trendy and stylish 4-star hotel located in the re-developed Carlsberg City District, offering an industrial-chic design with a touch of edge. The hotel, named after the wife of Carlsberg brewer Carl Jacobsen, features 155 rooms and suites catering to various budgets. Situated in the original Carlsberg brewery buildings, it offers direct access to Aire Ancient Baths for a unique spa experience.
The employees are absolute harmony and kindness. Simply the most welcoming and helpful group. From the wine hour to the spirits tasting, the restaurant, the spa, easy to get to, and then the amazing staff - a top tier experience here. The rooms are Dutch and urban, so get the idea of American waste out of your mind. No need for big rooms, cabinets everywhere, etc that never get used. The rooms are efficient and easy. Great location, too. I’ll write more later but know that the people who bring this hotel to life are amazing.
Dale B — Google review
I have booked a suite here for a few nights...The rooms are nicely designed, yes... but the luxury stops there. The establishment fundamentally does not understand guest services. It's basically no-frills, unserviced apartments at the cost of a 5 star hotel. Housekeeping seems to be only if you ask, no mini-bar (which they somehow think is clever?), a general lack of service and inability to go the extra mile. The rooftop restaurant is no better. With a staff that simply don't seem to care if you are there or not. I work in the luxury sector and work a lot in the hospitality space. So I know what I'm talking about when i say these guys have a lot to learn. When asking for a late checkout tomorrow, in what seems like an, understandably, empty hotel, was charged by the hour. Despite clearly being unhappy with my stay. I would avoid... the minimalist architecture is paired with minimalist compassion or understanding of what makes people come back. Enjoy it while you can, I doubt it will be here long if they don't change their approach. On further examination (i suggest you do the same) I also fear many of the positive reviews on trip advisor are faked. Seems to be profiles with just a single all positive review to their dubious names.
C W — Google review
Nice design and competent staff, but the lack of climate control is a little difficult and unexpected considering how much money the rooms cost every night. Yes they have a section of window that opens and a little fan in the room, but Copenhagen is a city of millions so gets very noisy even early in the morning, including garbage service and the ostensible need to power clean the plaza in front of the hotel. There is also a large construction site across the plaza.
S P — Google review
The location of the hotel is excellent, in a very nice neighborhood close to the Carlsberg Museum and several parks. The building itself is convenient and there is an elevator, but it’s worth noting that the main entrance has stairs, which can be a bit inconvenient after long flights or with large luggage. However, there is a back entrance without stairs, you just need to walk around to the rear of the building. The staff was polite, though not particularly friendly. Each time we approached the reception with a question, it felt as though we were disturbing them. Another point to note is that the shower is part of the open area of the room, meaning there isn’t a full wall separating it. Also, on the day before our last, our room wasn’t cleaned. When we mentioned it at reception, we were told that housekeeping finishes at 3 p.m., and they only offered fresh towels, which was a bit disappointing.
Lily T — Google review
Nestled in a vibrant, new district, this hotel truly shines with its stunning historic architecture, making it incredibly convenient for train and tram travel. The hotel's public spaces are genuinely beautiful and well-maintained. Our experience in the room, however, was quite challenging. The air conditioning proved problematic, stubbornly remaining at a stuffy 23.9 to 24°C. Despite our best efforts, we couldn't cool the room down, forcing us to sleep without blankets. Compounding the issue was a pervasive and loud buzzing noise, occurring roughly every 20 minutes, which sounded like a vibrating phone. We believe this was tied to the AC, and it was disruptive enough to severely impact our sleep, ultimately leading us to use earplugs. The room's small windows didn't offer much light or respite, and street activity began quite early. Essentially, the hotel's charm ended at the room door. While the location and building itself were excellent, the room experience was a major drawback. Given these issues, I'd hesitate to recommend it to a friend and would only consider a return stay if no other suitable alternatives were available
Richard G — Google review
Not a good value for money. Most of the staff were unfriendly, and it felt like you were bothering them just by being there. The rooms are fine, but for the price per night, they should at least include bottled water and a proper coffee machine – not just instant coffee. The location is pleasant, but given that the entire neighbourhood is generally nice, that alone doesn’t justify the high price.

I stayed here for 3 nights in summer. The hotel itself and the rooms are very clean. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They offer luggage stotage. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and everyone who is wanting to visit Copenhagen! It’s in a great location for exploring, with just a 20 second walk from the main station and metro. And about a 2 minute walk from the entrance to Tivoli. Before you know it, you’re in the heart of Copenhagen and exploring the city. The staff were fantastic and welcoming, and were very informative. The included breakfast was lovely and relaxed, with plenty of options. The room was amazing! A very comfy bed and spacious areas to unpack and not feel like you’re living out of a bag. We had a room that faced the street and we slept brilliantly with no noise or interruptions. The black out curtains are fantastic! The shower was powerful and spacious with plenty of essentials and toiletries provided. Everything about this hotel felt luxurious and welcoming, and I’d definitely return.

Staff were brilliant and extremely helpful. Rooms are a decent size and the breakfast was great with tea, coffee, great pastries, hot food anf cereals. Hotel is in a decent location literally 300 metres from the train station and 5 min walk from Tivoli.

This is a lovely hotel, we had a great time. The staff were welcoming and friendly, the inside is clean, warm and cosy. Free tea, coffee, water and hot chocolate is available 24/7. We had breakfast included which even for my 2 fussy boys they had something to eat everyday. There is a choice of yoghurts, granola, fruit, hams & cheeses, bread, rolls, pastries, cereal (with loads of varieties of milk options) pancakes, scrambled egg. The room was clean, spacious, bed was comfy no complaints at all. It is very close to the train station, a 5 minute walk to Tivoli gardens and all local bus routes. We walked up streets and explored the area which basically takes you in a loop so you can't really get lost. I have already recommended this hotel to my sister who is coming to Copenhagen in December and if we returned we would stay here again.

Nestled in the heart of Copenhagen, Hotel Alexandra is a charming blend of history and design. Housed in a neoclassical building that dates back to the 1890s, this hotel originally served as luxury apartments before transforming into its current form post-World War II. Each of the 61 uniquely styled rooms showcases exquisite Danish mid-century modern furniture, creating an inviting atmosphere reminiscent of the vibrant 1950s and 60s.
We travelled on the 18th from Slagelse, getting to central København at around 9pm. Really tired, and looking forward to getting into a warm bed. However, the original hotel we booked, we hadn't realised that it was temporarily closed down. Thankfully, hotel Alexandra, was our replacement hotel. Good food, great service and about 5 mins away from the metro. We are definitely using this hotel many more times. And to accommodate us, they didn't charge us extra, for the exchange of hotel. And after walking to the original hotel, we were knackered, and we're worried that we would have to walk, they accommodated us by sending a taxi to pick us up and paying for it. We arrived within 15 mins. We were given a free breakfast on the 19th, and we were upgraded from a 3 star to a 4 star hotel. Our double room was very nice and cozy. And big enough. I paid for the breakfast on the 20th, as it was our last day, and wanted to enjoy the facilities that were available until our stay was up. We only paid £33 for two meals, hot and cold drinks. I would definitely recommend this hotel, when staying in København, Danmark. And as a half danish woman, travelling with my partner who only speaks English, the hotel were a danish and English speaking hotel. They were very welcoming 🙏

The reception service could be better. The elevator didn't work. The rooms are build in the old 60's or 70's Danish design, so the have an old feeling. But maybe it was old, because 1 out of 3 light bulbs didn't work, 1 out of 2 shower heads didn't work, the TV is outdated and you can't cast to it, unless you have an app that costs 12€ a month. The room temperature was a bit cold. Almost no electric plugs. The toilet kept running because of a defect flush mechanism, which also made it hard to flush. Remember to set a side time for breakfast, as it is in a restaurant, and there might not be seats left. At least it was very good.

Before my arrival, I reached out to the hotel requesting two double beds, as this was one of the options available when booking the Design Deluxe Double room with king size bed on Hotels.com. I never received a response. When I checked in, I found a full-size bed instead. When I went back to reception to ask if this was the room I had booked, I was told it was—but it looked completely different from the photos online. The bathroom was also nothing like what I saw when booking. The listing lacked clear photos and accurate information about the different room layouts under the same name. The toilet had not been cleaned thoroughly, the trash can was broken, and the shower had no shampoo. I requested shampoo, but my request was ignored. The shower space was extremely tight, and the design was completely different from what was pictured—the bathroom unit overall was a total surprise, and not in a good way. The hotel promotes itself as offering a Danish design experience, but in reality, the building feels old and in need of major updates. If you truly want to experience Danish design, I’d recommend visiting a museum or other cultural spaces—not this hotel. Given that this property is more expensive than several nicer hotels in the same neighborhood, I would strongly advise against booking here. Don’t be bamboozled by the marketing photos and descriptions.

The location of this hotel is excellent for exploring all areas of Copenhagen. However, the rooms and overall feel are dated and tired, and service from the front desk was limited, especially outside normal hours. “Basic” feels like an overstatement. During my three-night stay, the room was not serviced, and when I went to make a coffee I found an old pod still sitting in the machine. The baths are only three-quarter size, though surprisingly comfortable. On the positive side, breakfast at the restaurant attached to the hotel is outstanding, but you’re better off paying separately for the full choice rather than adding it to your room. Overall, an okay stay but the hotel needs more care, attention, and updating. I would consider staying again, but it wouldn’t be my first choice

Not a bad hotel. Keys are quite fancy so you will have to go through a certain process to get back into your room, nothing too complicated. The rooms themselves are fine. It's just the bathroom. Our bathroom sink refused to plug itself. The notorious shower curtain design choice also is a little infuriating because the water always goes everywhere. The beds are comfy and the furniture is really nice. You should make a reservation early if you want breakfast. Then again, there are a multitude of items outside that would be more than sufficient for a meal.

First time of trying the hotel and unfortunately last… Nice hotel, friendly staff…. But unfortunately a one-star due to the fact the rooms are not sound proofed as advertised… I specifically asked at the time of check in if the rooms are sound proofed and they said yes, 7:30am this morning, with no sleep with a baby, construction….. not at their hotel but was not informed of this as I would have booked elsewhere, they also couldn’t offer any solution- so if you value sleep avoid this hotel… it’s a shame as I have colleagues that were going to stay at later dates too as the concept of the hotel is cool…

I stayed here for 3 nights, June 15-18. Very friendly staff and the room was clean. The A/C was cold but I really didn't need it since it was cooler at night. There was a bit of street traffic noise at night but it wasn't anything my noise machine couldn't cover.

Stayed there May 2024 during my solo trip to Copenhagen. The hotel is ideally located in the middle of the city, with a subway station next to it. The rooms are quite small, but it was alright since I was by myself. However, the rooms are clean and modern. The staff are quite friendly and gave me good tips about the city. Also, they offer complementary wine in the evenings!
