Seafood restaurant
Kødbyens Fiskebar is a trendy restaurant located in the former meat market of Copenhagen's Vesterbro district. The industrial-style setting adds to its unique charm, offering a buzzy atmosphere for diners. The menu focuses on simple yet fresh seafood dishes, with an emphasis on presenting the fish beautifully. From freshly shucked oysters to impeccably grilled langoustines, the diverse array of seafood options caters to every taste bud.
Lively seafood restaurant. Everything I ate was simply divine. Every dish that came out was just as good as the last. I actually don’t think I can pick a favorite! The plates are small, but this worked well for me, as I was a solo diner and wanted to try many different things. There was one small issue where I spoke to a waiter, asked what another table had (because it looked good) and he misunderstood me, so when I received one plate, it was not what I wanted. The waiter handled this well and did not make me feel badly about it. They promptly brought me the item I actually wanted. I was impressed that this was handled well and they did not treat me any differently after this incident. Overall, I was very satisfied and happy with my meal here! Would definitely return the next time I’m in Copenhagen.

It’s rather fine dining experience than “fish bar” as name would suggest, so beware. Regardless, the food was truly amazing, huge selection of seafood dishes - all offering different tasting experience. I really liked that they don’t charge here for tap water, what is uncommon in Denmark. I can clearly recommend!
Grzegorz Ż — Google review
This was the best meal we’ve had in Copenhagen. The restaurant is super casual, funky and delicious. The service was excellent and friendly. Everything about our meal was perfect. The standout was the sea bass and the mussels. We’d happily go back and highly recommend to anyone.
Mandy R — Google review
Very unique dining experience. We had 8 to 9 small starter dishes, kind like tapas style. We really like it, that we could try all kind of seafood since they are all small dishes. The seafood are all very fresh, and cooked very creative way and with good presentation. The service we had is a bit cool but still friendly. If the service could have more intro or maybe explain the food would be perfect. I would think the food is Michelin star level, the decor is also very unique. Overall, I would recommend anyone love seafood to give a try, be open minded and enjoy the food.
Richard D — Google review
Everything was absolutely delicious, and the staff were incredibly kind and professional. I ordered razor clams, squid, and lobster, and it was more than enough for me. One thing I especially loved was the sourdough it was so tasty and served warm, which made it even more enjoyable. The squid was cooked perfectly, tender and full of flavor. And the lemonade… it was out of this world! Not like any lemonade I’ve had before so refreshing that I’d honestly come back just to drink it again. Many thanks to the service team for their kindness and professionalism, and to the kitchen team for such a wonderful meal!

Kødbyens Fiskebar is an absolute gem in Copenhagen. From the moment we arrived, the service was warm, attentive, and welcoming. The staff not only served the food but also took the time to explain each dish in detail, which made the experience even more special and memorable. We started with the soft, fluffy bread served alongside a light green whipped butter — simple, yet beautifully done. The shrimp on toast was fresh and full of flavor, perfectly balanced with a hint of citrus and creamy dressing. The fish main course, with its crispy skin and delicate sauce, was outstanding and showed real attention to detail in preparation. We also had the fish and chips, which were elevated to a whole new level: crispy, golden, and paired with a deliciously tangy remoulade. Every dish felt thoughtful, seasonal, and true to the spirit of a seafood restaurant that values quality and freshness. The atmosphere was relaxed and stylish, making it a perfect place to enjoy an evening in Copenhagen. I highly recommend Kødbyens Fiskebar for anyone who loves seafood and appreciates exceptional service. It’s not just a meal — it’s an experience.

Delicious fish in a welcoming environment and friendly service. The restaurant provides an exceptional offering of the variety of fish available from Denmark. The space in Copenhagen’s former packing market creates a lively and inviting space to sample this great and diverse cuisine. There is a wide variety of hot, cold, and raw appetizers available to choose from and the entrées are equally diverse and filling. The desert menu provides some fun ideas, including the seaweed mille-feuille. There is also a great drinks and wine selection and the staff are warm and friendly, happy to help you choose or suggest pairings.
Michael N — Google review
Food is great and very fresh — this was our second visit. Yes, it’s pricey, but so is Copenhagen overall. We stopped in for oysters and wine before heading out of town. Unfortunately, despite a shift change happening, service felt disorganized. We had to keep getting up to find someone just to place an order. For the quality of the food and the prices, the service should be much more attentive.

Fine dining restaurant
Restaurant
Geranium is a renowned Nordic terroir restaurant located on the 8th floor in Faelledparken, Copenhagen. The restaurant offers panoramic views of the park and the city skyline. Led by award-winning chef Rasmus Koefed, Geranium provides a unique dining experience with its high-concept cooking and multiple-course tasting menus. The elegant design and spacious tables complement the exquisite dishes that challenge diners' senses.
The food here is absolutely delicious. It’s a 3-Michelin-star restaurant located inside a stadium. The atmosphere is open and airy, creating a relaxed and pleasant vibe. The staff are very polite and friendly from the moment you arrive. The dishes mainly feature plant-based ingredients, vegetables, fruits, and fish. Each course is creatively composed, full of surprises in both presentation and flavor. The taste? Undeniably outstanding. While dining, you can watch the chefs in an open kitchen carefully plating each dish, a performance in itself. The full experience lasts a little over three hours. After the savory courses, the staff will take you on a short tour including exclusive areas such as the private rooms, wine cellar, and kitchen. The meal concludes with a dessert course and a lovely gift bag to take home.
Tarin K — Google review
Simply incredible. It’s clear why Geranium won the #1 best restaurant in the world a couple of years ago. Please do yourself a BIG favor and get the juice pairing. It was the best pairing I’ve ever done (and I’m including done dozens of wine and NA pairings). Flavors of both the pairings and within the dishes themselves were executed at a level I didn’t know was possible, especially for so many veggie dishes. And I truly enjoyed everything. There wasn’t a single dish I felt like they missed on, which I can only say I’ve experienced a couple of times, even at 3 star restaurants. 10/10 - can’t wait to come back next time I’m in Copenhagen.
Conor H — Google review
An unforgettable dialogue between flavor and soul. My dinner at Geranium was nothing short of extraordinary — and I have to say, the wine pairing was the best I’ve ever experienced in any restaurant so far. It wasn’t just about complementing the dishes — the pairing elevated each course to another dimension entirely. From the very first bite of Oysters in crispy algae, the meal began like a whisper from the ocean — delicate yet powerful. The lightly smoked bleak roe balanced gentle smokiness with a milky, comforting depth — a true Nordic poem. Later, dishes like King crab with pickled pumpkin and the celeriac & truffle “soup” showcased stunning balance and harmony, both in flavor and texture. But the wine pairing was the soul of the experience — every glass was chosen with such precision that it didn’t just match the dish; it completed it. The acidity, aroma, and timing of each pour felt like a symphony written for the palate. Every element — pacing, light, service, and even tableware — reflected Geranium’s mastery. It’s not about extravagance here; it’s about the quiet power of nature, clarity, and emotion.
Alson C — Google review
This dinner is on my top 10 favorite dinners. It was worth every penny :) Book it :) they definitely deserve their 3 stars. I really enjoyed every aspect of this dinner,I chose the juice pairings and each one went very well with each dish :) Just a fantastic experience all around. Plus the kitchen overlooks a soccer field, (get the tour of the restaurant) the wine cellar and private dining area Just a stunner of a restaurant you have to see it!!!

Dining at Geranium years ago left a lasting impression, from its striking design to the unparalleled food and service. The memory of my 12 course tasting menu is as fresh and inspiring as ever. The meal was a masterpiece, with each dish showcasing an incredible dedication to food and menu creation. The plating was an art form, and the way the chefs paired aromas and flavours was simply brilliant. The team's commitment was especially impressive—I had the pleasure of meeting some of the kitchen staff who were genuinely enthusiastic and deeply committed to their craft. Their dedication and creativity were evident in every dish. I recently tried to book a table but was unable to, which was a huge disappointment. This has only fueled my excitement to return in the coming months, and I'm confident that Geranium's pursuit of excellence has only continued to evolve.
Ali K — Google review
Dining at Geranium in Copenhagen was truly the most exquisite food and dining experience I’ve ever had. From start to finish, everything was world class. The service was outstanding—extremely personalized to each table—and what really stood out was that the chefs themselves presented the dishes they cooked, explaining every detail with passion and precision. Every course was a work of art, and many were among the most incredible dishes I’ve ever tasted. To top it all off, we were given a behind-the-scenes tour of the restaurant, including the wine room, private dining room, the football stadium it’s connected to, and the kitchen—an inspiring glimpse into the artistry that makes Geranium so special. Yes, it’s expensive, but the experience is worth every penny. A special shoutout to Niels, one of our waiters, who went above and beyond to make the evening unforgettable. If you’re looking for a once-in-a-lifetime dining experience, Geranium is absolutely unmatched.
Ben T — Google review
Dining at Geranium was the most interesting and amazing experience we’ve ever had at a restaurant, and we hope to come back someday. Thank you for making our wedding day so special—we are so grateful to you. We were graciously squeezed in to celebrate our wedding here, and we have never had such an incredible dining experience. The ambiance was lovely, it felt intimate yet spacious. The service was absolutely unparalleled, unlike anything we have ever experienced. Everyone seemed excited to celebrate with us and very invested in providing a memorable and special celebration for us, they even wanted to take a picture with us. We felt welcomed and well cared for the entire time. The paper menu was beautiful, as was the printed note for the gifted wine pairing we received from a relative. One of the staff showed the room how you open a wine bottle with port tongs, which was fun. We love to cook, and one of us works in the food industry, so we were excited to learn about the dishes and the wine. All our questions were answered, and we learned a lot. The tour was interesting as well. The food was exquisite, the dishes were inventive and unique; we still think about them. Dietary restrictions were carefully considered and met. We especially enjoyed that the chefs who made the dishes came to our table to explain them. The wine pairing was delicious and very generous.
Savannah P — Google review
It's truly a 3-star restaurant, if not the best in the world (they got best a years back 🤭) Everything is nearly to perfection , from service, wine, and food. It was very pricey but worth it a try. But to be honest, I'm not sure that we will go back to this considering the ROI

Oysters and Grill, a trendy eatery in Copenhagen's Norrebro district, offers a focused menu of fresh shellfish platters and straight-up grilled steaks and fish. Unlike other chic dining establishments in the area, this restaurant exudes warmth and humility with its brightly colored tablecloths, floral designs, and flickering candles.
The restaurant gives a "simple" impression (e.g. colorful tablecoths!! Super!) but the food is excellent!! The staff was very friendly and helpful. I loved the explanation on origin and taste of each oyster variety. Bit pricey but worth it. Recommended!
Gerald D — Google review
We had a generally pleasant experience at Oysters & Grill. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming, which created a nice atmosphere. When we arrived, the waiter asked if we would like him to “offer” us a glass of Prosecco before ordering. Based on how it was phrased—and from past experiences at other restaurants—we assumed this was a complimentary welcome drink. So, it was quite surprising to see a charge of 130 DKK for the two glasses on the final bill. The wording made it sound like a hospitable gesture, not something that would be added to the check. A clearer approach would have been to simply ask, “Would you like to order a glass of Prosecco to start?” As for the food, everything we ordered was quite good. We had the padrón peber, moules frites (generous portion), grillet havbars (also well-sized), and the yellowtail. The yellowtail was especially tasty, although the portion was noticeably smaller than what we had seen in the photos. Complimentary bread slices were also brought to the table, which was appreciated. Another positive experience was the trust the staff showed when it came to redeeming our Cofoco points. I had called the restaurant beforehand and was told I could just provide my name and email to redeem points. So I didn’t bring my physical Cofoco card. Only upon arrival did I learn that the card was in fact needed. Thankfully, they kindly let me go home to get it without any issue, which I really appreciated. Overall, the experience was good—just slightly dampened by the misleading Prosecco situation and somewhat high prices. Still, the warm staff and enjoyable food made it a worthwhile visit.

Oyster and Grill presents a compelling dining option for enthusiasts of seafood. The restaurant offers an inviting atmosphere, making it well-suited for gatherings among family and friends. During a recent visit with friends, the culinary offerings, particularly the mouth-watering seafood, were thoroughly enjoyed. The establishment also provides a diverse selection of beverages, including beer, wine, spirits, and mocktails, complementing the dining experience. While the overall food quality was exceptional, a minor issue was noted with some oysters arriving with missing covers. However, this did not significantly detract from an otherwise highly positive experience. The delectable food and pleasant ambiance collectively contributed to a memorable visit.

This place just became an all-star-place for me! Apart from the ravishingly fresh fish, the people are very nice and walk the extra mile for you to feel welcome. I will definitely come back whenever in Copenhagen, and I recommend everyone to give this place a try, too!

We had a fantastic evening at Oysters & Grill! The atmosphere was vibrant, the service warm and attentive, and the food absolutely delicious. The shrimp and langoustines were perfectly prepared – fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Great wine selection, too. A true gem in Copenhagen – we’ll definitely be back!

AUG2025: a great place in Copenhagen, modern menu of sea food mainly (but not only), served more as tapas format; very cool ambiance thanks to a relaxed old style decoration; we are frequent patrons, and yesterday the service was just best in class; we love the vibrant neighborhood as well - fewer tourists, pure CPH spirit

This is IT ! One of the best restaurant experiences I’ve had here in Copenhagen! It was so good the first time we went there that we had to come back the next day hahaha ☀️🍤🐠They have a lot of tables so there is always space for you. The decor adds beach and holiday vibes, and it’s so cozy! The staff was so friendly, especially one waiter we had both times (diner on 30th and 31th of August) , who recognized us the second time 🫶 The food was perfect with great portions and served in elegant plates! We loved the fact that the quality was so good but the place was lowkey. The prices are fair for the amount and quality that you get. They also have an extensive drink menu if you are looking for nice cocktails to add to your experience 🍹🍸We will definitely come back next time we’re in Copenhagen 🥹

Seafood restaurant
Iluka, a seafood restaurant in Copenhagen, offers innovative dishes crafted by former Noma sous chef Beau Clugston. The menu features unique creations like steamed king crab flap served in a smoked mushroom broth with sugar snap peas. Known for its fresh cold water seafood, Iluka's standout dish is the raw sea urchin from the Faroe Islands served in the shell with buttery sourdough.
Great restaurant with some really innovative dishes at surprisingly decent prices. I really loved my experience here and I'll definitely be back. The seafood tartare particularly was incredible!
William W — Google review
I visited ILUKA about a year ago, and it’s still one of the meals I think of whenever I think back to Copenhagen. Everything was so flavorful I could hardly sit still while eating, and even the simple oysters were outstanding. I’d love to come back again!
Jo — Google review
Iluka is a small, seafood focused restaurant that is best suited for the adventurous diner. The straightforward but spartan a la cart menu consists of two courses, the first cold and the second warm. There are no accompaniments or side dishes. The menu is hyper focused on North Sea seafood, and the diner should not expect the typical options such as halibut, salmon, tuna sea bass, or even turbot. Instead, the kitchen from lesser known specifies including freshwater pike, which brings me back to my original point. The food is of high quality and expertly prepared, and the wine list is similarly focused on more unusual grapes, and leans towards the natural and unfiltered styles of wine. If you are an adventurous eater who enjoys straying from your typical comfort zone, you will be pleased.

I ordered the tasting menu — totally worth it! I especially loved the scallops and sashimi. Everything was super fresh and flavorful, and the staff were all really friendly and attentive.

Incredible restaurant. A friend of mine and I popped in to have dinner and catch up and the experience was incredible. Each dish was flavorful and inventive. The young chef highlighted the best of Danish fisheries alongside their own storytelling of their experience in Mexico and Japan. The whole fish and self-made crab roll/tacos are not to be missed. The milk toast dessert was a hyggeligt way to cap off the meal.
Raul G — Google review
Iluka is simply outstanding — it deserves a spot on the Michelin list. The tasting menu showcased exceptional creativity and flavor. A culinary highlight in Copenhagen not to be missed.
Suraj M — Google review
This was the most disappointing dining experience of my trip to Copenhagen. I wish that I wasn’t giving the review I’m about to post, but this is my honest experience. I was very excited to dine here until I arrived. We ordered the 7 course preset menu. The menu descriptions seemed to display a great variety of flavors that never delivered. Everything was fresh, but that’s it. While there was a bit of “fun” constructing our own crab roll, there was much to be desired. The first course was sourdough bread that was burnt to the point I could not eat a bite without making a mess all over the table. The butter was plain … as if it was overlooked of something to be made better. No dish was memorable other than the whole fish, because it was a whole fish. I am no chef, but feel I could have prepared it to that degree myself. If it were at half the price point, I may consider this menu reasonable. I made my “once a year error” of including the incorrect reservation time on my personal calendar. Even though we arrived within the restaurant’s allotted time for human error, we were made to feel entirely unwelcome for the duration of our meal, regardless of the fact that I was in tears, fighting off a panic attack as we were being seated. The restaurant was nearly empty when this happened, and never filled to have made me feel so guilty for being tardy. The team member taking care of us never smiled when approaching us, but did for every other table. I do not recommend anyone dine here.
Liv R — Google review
Iluka was our last meal in Copenhagen and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The negative reviews truly did not reflect the great service from our servers, the chef and the wonderful food — if anything, it seems they have improved on the feedback provided over the years. We did not get the 7-course meal and chose our own dishes. We most enjoyed the sweet potato dish which was incredibly flavourful and a combination we'd never tasted before. Definitely worth checking out in Copenhagen for a cosy, intimate dinner! They deserve more patrons for sure.

There’s plenty of seating inside and out, making it a great place to linger and savour the atmosphere. It can get quite busy, especially on weekends, but the energy adds to its appeal. Think of it as a more bespoke version of a Time Out Market, lively, delicious, and absolutely worth a visit.

The Torvehallerne Market in Copenhagen is an absolute delight and a must-visit for food lovers. Located right in the city center, it offers a vibrant mix of fresh produce, gourmet specialties, and international street food, all under one roof. It’s not just a market but also a social hub: locals shopping for ingredients, tourists tasting street food, and groups of friends enjoying drinks together. With its central location and wide variety, it’s the ideal stop whether you want a quick bite, a foodie experience, or just to soak in the lively atmosphere of Copenhagen. In short, Torvehallerne is a top highlight of the city — stylish, delicious, and unforgettable.

Plentiful market with a variety of different fresh foods and eats all in one area. It is very close to the Nørreport Station, making it really accessible and convenient. There are juice shops, fresh fruits and vegetables, fish, and much more. You can come here for local shopping or to eat some really good food. This place has really good ice cream and juice as well! Highly recommend visiting.

Lively market with lots of great food options! • Ma Poule – I had the Pluma Rossini. The foie gras paired with pork was absolutely delicious. Highly recommended! • Hallernes Smørrebrød – A great way to taste traditional Danish open-faced sandwiches. They offer different flavors, and I tried the smoked salmon and blue cheese. The presentation was beautiful and perfect for photos. • Hav – I tried their sashimi platter and oysters. Super fresh and tasty!

This was the standout attraction for us in our 4 day stay in Copenhagen, and we came here every morning for breakfast, stocked up on cheese and salads for lunch, dropped in for tea, coffee and pastries, and twice for dinner. There’s, a small, overpriced fruit and vegetable market between the two buildings, but the real stars here are the specialist stalls inside selling pastries, snacks, cheese and meats, fresh seafood, tea and coffee and just about anything else you can think of. It’s not the biggest food hall in Europe, so it’s easy to navigate, but every stall is a gem. A must visit, often, on any trip to Copenhagen.

TorvehallerneKBH is an amazing food market i the heart of Copenhagen! I visited looking for fresh stenbiderrogn (lumpfish roe), which is only available during the spring season. The vendors were friendly, knowledgeable, and gave great tips on how to enjoy the roe. I bought fresh roe and made a traditional Danish dish at home: small pancakes with a dollop of sour cream, finely chopped onion, and fresh roe on top. It was absolutely delicious - delicate, creamy, and festive. Perfect spot for anyone looking for high-quality seafood and traditional Danish delicacies. Highly recommend!

Noma, located in Copenhagen, is a renowned gastronomic destination led by Chef Rene Redzepi. The restaurant gained global recognition when it was named the world's best in 2010, marking a shift in the city's dining scene. While traditional Danish dishes like meatballs and smorrebrod remain available, Noma symbolizes the transformation of Nordic cuisine with its emphasis on organic, locally-sourced ingredients without compromising quality.
Totally lived up to the hype. We went in skeptical and were immediately impressed. Easily top 5 for me after many many 3* restaurants. The food was fantastic but what really made noma incredible was the service and atmosphere. Everything felt like clockwork but also genuine and warm at the same time.
Alex S — Google review
Ever since I could afford to travel and try the best food in the world, Noma has been at the top of the list. For over half a decade, I have been trying to get a booking, no matter what season, and I’ve been panicked since I heard the rumours of their imminent closure. Despite all that, after years of trying, a booking for Noma 2.0’s Summer Season finally was in the cards. I was a bit skeptical going into this, with the expectation of it being the “best meal of my life” so far. I love meat, so I was a bit worried with the vegetable focused menu. Boy, was I completely caught with my pants down. Long story short, Noma does live up to its reputation and has claimed its title, in my books, as the best meal of my life so far. I think the careful consideration of the produce, the specialization of Noma’s fermentation techniques, as well as the attention to detail by the staff, truly showcases why Noma deserves the flowers it’s been getting for the better part of two decades. If we’re being nitpicky, the dessert courses were a bit lacking, with the second nut ice cream dessert doing the heavy lifting (absolutely a favourite dessert from recent memory). Speaking on the savoury courses, I’ve typically come to notice a pattern with Michelin/fine dining. There will be a handful of dishes that are pretty “meh”, a good chunk of “wow that’s good”, and maybe, just maybe one or two “holy that’s amazing”. Noma’s savoury dishes had a “holy that’s amazing” almost entirely across the board. I can maybe think of 1 or 2 that were “wow that’s good” and no “meh” dishes. To highlight my absolute favourites: the wasabi leaf bouquet, the rose octopus with peaso sauce, and my absolute favourite dish, the flower salad with caramelized barley koji. To further add to that, the service provided by the staff is bar none, the best we’ve received. From warm welcomes, enthusiastic explanations, and even making note of our pace and matching it accordingly, their attention to detail truly is one-of-a-kind I’m truly grateful to have dined at Noma and really understood how they’ve come to impact the food scene globally. I highly recommend making the journey here, I know that if I’m lucky to get a reservation for Game & Forest Season, I’ll drop everything to make it!

I have mixed feelings about my Noma experience. I have been following the restaurant and Rene Redzepi for some years now and dining at Noma was very high on my bucket list. After being on the waiting list for a while, we finally got a reservation which coincidentally landed at my birthday. My wife and I made a 2,000km (round) trip just for this dinner. The expectations therefore were high and excitement to the max. The location of the restaurant is exceptional, to see how a restaurant with this pedigree operates was an unforgettable experience, I was star struck by seeing Chef Redzepi in person. The staff take care of you from the very beginning until the end. The kitchen is an impressive machinery of people. The restaurant itself is beautiful, cozy and welcoming. The whole setting is nothing short of perfect. Now the food, our experience included 16 courses and wine pairing, I can recognize all the research, technique and passion put into every dish, the presentation, textures and flavors you encounter are special and unexpected. There is a big but though, for me food is a big passion and what defines the dishes I remember is ultimately the pleasure that they generate when I put them in my mouth and I have to painfully say, there was maybe one of the 16 courses that came close to that but not close enough. In summary, the box is ticked but the excitement and all the expectation was clouded by the failure to bring joy to my mouth.

A truly remarkable restaurant, which I cannot recommend enough. We were there for ocean season and as expected every dish was unexpected and remarkable. It was a very well balanced menu, with more experimental dishes balanced by more traditional dishes. We felt very at ease at the friendly and more casual atmosphere and we were truly impressed by the thoughtfulness, quality, fun, thoughtfulness, novelty and balance in the entire menu. The pairing was excellent as well. I cannot wait to see what happens next at Noma. Thanks!

Best restaurant I have ever been to. From the beginning you feel like a good friend of the restaurant - everyone is so nice and friendly in a very casual way. The food is something special and unique in a way which only Noma is making it. If you ever have the chance - grab it!

We were here for a pop-up event with ice cream and coffee as well as tasting of Noma's amazing creations. Following up on the pop up, we have now dined at Noma. We got the summer menu sitting at the shared table including 10 couples. This was a great experience, meeting different people from all over the world here for Noma! The settings are amazing! What a vibe! The team is the highlight! 60 employees working in sync, and in the center of the restaurant to serve 60 diners. The food was creative and attractive as well as tasty. But... If you are looking for flavors that wow you, I did not get that. It was more of a total experience and the story behind the food. Also, while the wine pairing was very good, the juice pairing was less so, with all but two of the juices tasting like watered down versions saving calories. At the end of the evening, drink still in hand we were taken on a tour of the restaurant. The tour ended at a door where we were shown out - we'll have to see if we can get a drink in the lounge another time. I want to thank the amazing team for being how they are! So many smiles, welcoming us and genuinely being there for the diners!

A once in a lifetime experience. We were there for the first night of the summer menu and loved it. We sat at the shared dining table and it exceeded our expectations. It was lovely meeting people from around the world and experiencing the meal together. The food is creative, inspiring, and inventive. The wine pairing was fantastic and featured many unique bottles and winemakers. They also infused inspiration from their time in Japan throughout the meal and paired some dishes with sake. The staff went above and beyond during the entire meal. They also gave us a tour of the restaurant and Noma Projects after dinner. So grateful to have experienced Noma and meet all the staff that make the magic happen!

Fishmarket is a charming seafood restaurant in Copenhagen, offering traditional French-inspired dishes like seafood platters and Bouillabaisse. Located near the exclusive d'Angleterre hotel, it has a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. From the team behind Copenhagen's Pastis restaurant, Fishmarket focuses solely on fish with an extensive oyster selection and a diverse champagne list. The menu features simple and healthy Mediterranean-style fish and seafood dishes using locally sourced ingredients.
Excellent food, service and ambience. They had a very nice lunch menu available at the time of my visit. The Lobster bisque and the fish of the day were exceptional. The dessert was really good too. Just a bummer that they charge for water though. Would definitely recommend this restaurant for a delicious meal.

Very tasty place with excellent staffs. The white fish dish where there is cherry tomato was surprisingly yummy. I’ve never liked to eat cherry tomato before, but this time I happened to try theirs with how they’ve created it let her them all 😋🧐

Food was good, other than the lobster bisque that did not have much lobster flavor. First time having scallop with chorizo and thought that it is quite a good match! Place was full on a weekend for dinner service. We were lucky to have been able to grab a table! Service was good as well!

The food was delicious, the service was great, and they are allergy-cautious. My gluten-free crackers were especially lovely. I wiped my plates clean. Thank you, and I look forward to coming back!

The service is great. Very attentive and nice people. The food on the other hand was confusing to say the best. Each dish was overpowered with some flavor, especially salty. I kept trying it to hope it got better like I was missing something they were trying to create. In the end, I left with a bad taste in my mouth, literally, and really wanted to find something to take it away. It was late so not much was open. Brushing my teeth helped a bit, but it's still all salt and some spice that was in the sauce with the fish. Sorry to say, but this was the worst dinner I've had in a long time. The fish was cooked perfectly, but it didn't save the course.

The atmosphere of the place is very welcoming and airy. The interior feels very classy yet inviting and quite spacious. The food is delicious with just the right serving size. There is a dish for everyone and it's all cooked perfectly and service was fast. The team is friendly and nice and is happy to explain what is in a certain dish. They also recommend if you do ask for it. A really nice place to have a special dinner or lunch or have a nice relaxing drink.

"Amass" destination in for gastronomic experience. Food and service are outstanding! Look for Vilma. She was our server and she's super sweet and attentive. Would love to go back to this place again. Not good for kids and not so adventurous eaters. Super talented chef and his team. They all help each other and such a beautiful thing to watch how the chef orchestrated the whole thing. They have their own organic garden and uses the freshest ingredients. They don't have a full bar. Enjoy the fine wine or crafted beer

First must, start the evening with the Amass gin & tonic. Best we’d ever had. Second, splurge on the wine pairing, nearly as important and exciting as each dish and really rounds out the experience. Staff are amazing, knowledgeable and are as much about the experience as the food. Enjoy!

Came on a weekday evening. Cool concrete walls covered in graffiti (which I was told changes every year). Big glass windows opposite the open kitchen look out over their garden, where a lot of their produce is grown. The food was all very good, with a nice wine match as well. I had heard of the potato bread, which my partner loved! All the food was tasty, textural, beautifully presented and interesting.

Great concept and beautiful food. We had lovely meal and have been surprised many times during the dinner. Hands down we've eaten the best bread in our life in Amass. Incredible. Mackerel was also exceptional. Just don't know how I feel about chicken as main course in such a restaurant. It was made really well but well, it's still a chicken. We also didn't really get artichoke, beans broth - it tasted like eastern european grandma's medicine. Staff was really friendly and helpful. So nice to see chefs running food and explaining the dishes. Big, open space and relax atmosphere make it really likeable. They have also great selection of wines.

Really delicious, well prepared food. Definitely a five star and I would say definitely worth a stop if you’re in Copenhagen. One of the better examples of new Nordic (or whatever comes after that). Each dish is really focused; a lot of care and attention goes into each dish and each component, but it doesn’t feel that way. Each dish works so well that it feels effortless, which is one of the highest complements I could give. Service was good, but not outstanding.

A wonderful dining experience! I love the idea of organic food and zero waste. And Amass knows how to make a whole experience out of it. Delicious and tasteful food, each course a wow-experience of its own. So lovely people and a place you feel at home. We will definitely come back!

Wow! That was a great meal. Food was excellent and the service was relaxed and warm. And it felt like a great value for money considering you're in Copenhagen. The wine list was very compact but had plenty of good choices. The bread was amazing. The cod with chanterelles was excellent. I liked the emphasis on using parts of ingredients that are generally discarded. Great meal and would totally go back next time we're in Copenhagen.

Always a great experience here. Been coming to this place since they opened 7 years ago, simple but very tasty plates, there are other Noma alumni opening around the city over the years, but this is one of the few very stable ones. High quality ingredients and consistency making this a must every time I am in town. Love the potato bread, just can never have enough of it....now the new fried chicken, all is super good.

Krogs Fiskerestaurant is a historic dining establishment located in an 18th-century house in Copenhagen. It has maintained its elegant ambiance with high ceilings and attentive wait staff, offering a focus on fresh local fish and seafood. The restaurant's history dates back to 1910 when it opened at Gammel Strand, where it became renowned for its oysters.
We had dinner for my wife’s birthday and were not disappointed. The four course menu with wine pairing was a little pricey but not compared to comparable restaurants, and it was well worth it. The fish dishes were very good and the pairings matches very well. Service was attentive and informative. It’s worth looking at the website to understand a bit about its long history. We had early reservations and it filled up. You can probably get a walk-up table for lunch, but it might be difficult for dinner.

It’s a beautiful restaurant with classic style interior. Quiet and romantic atmosphere. The service was good. The food was delicious especially the oysters it was very fresh and tasty, the lobster was delicious but the fried fish was a bit oily.

Tiny portions of very expensive food of limited variety. After ordering a starter and two main dishes +2 glasses of wine ( totaling to 150 euros) we left hungry. The atmosphere is nice and the waiters do their best. Tasty sourdough bread :)
Iryna P — Google review
Very disappointing. The service and overall atmosphere was ok. We got oysters as a starter and Bouillabaisse as a main course. Oysters was alright but the second course was not tasting good and it was a very tiny portion ( 1 piece of scallop, 3 tiny pieces of fish and 5 mussels in a bitter broth for 365DKK) I would understand the portion since it is a fine dining, however I really didn’t enjoy the taste. We spent 2.300DKK for 4 people and left hungry and pretty disappointed. To be fair we didn’t try any other dishes, maybe the tasting menu is good.
Pavlina Z — Google review
It's another nice seafood restaurant in the city. The place looks great from the outside, the inside is even more cozy. Walking by, didn't expect to be in a fine dining kind of place. There was no disappointment whatsoever. The 4-course meal without wine pairing was good enough to satisfy the meal.
Preeyakorn P — Google review
The bouillabaisse was excellent—rich in umami and bursting with flavor. The oysters were fresh, and the sourdough, delicious with the butter. Unfortunately, I found the soup and fish to be overly salty for my taste. The service, though, was exceptional; they promptly remade the dish without hesitation. The fish and chips made of two fried oysters and lots of tartar sauce, didn’t really get it. The dessert average and didn’t stand out much. Atmosphere elegant and pleasant.
David — Google review
The atmosphere outdoors is amazing. You can sear comfortably, close to the water, and have a nice view of the city while seeing people coming and going. The staff is really friendly and polite. We ordered the lunch menu, which came with 3 of pieces of the open faced sandwich, each one with a super fresh, well seasoned piece of fish. Delicious! It's pricey but the food is high quality.
Nanda P — Google review
Krogs has lovely al fresco dining in the heart of Copenhagen's main sightseeing district, near the canals and city square. The portions are generous small and pricey (a scallop appetizer is truly a single scallop, albeit beautifully presented), but the food is quite fresh and well prepared. Smoking is allowed n the furthest row of seating, which can be a bit off-putting to diners, but overall it's still a worthwhile dining experience.

Excellent food, atmosphere, and service. The whole evening was a sensory experience on a whole other level. Great stories around the ingredients, well presented, amazing flavours. For two people I recommend doing both wine pairings to get an even more diverse pallet of flavours.
Johannes S — Google review
The dishes were unique and inventive, featuring some ingredients we had never tried before. Not every dish was a standout, but they were all of a high standard. I appreciated how they prepared razor clams in different ways. I also liked the presentation of the salmon, and how they made snap peas the star of a dish. However, the non-alcoholic pairing was a bit pricey. The staff were charming. Recommend to have a table along the edge as the place can get quite noisy, it was hard to hear the staff's explanations if your table is in the center, surrounded by the chatter and laughter of other guests. This may not be a top-tier restaurant in terms of flavor, but if you're looking for something bold, this is the right place.
E M — Google review
This place was mediocre at best and that's not even considering the price. Service got worse as the night went on. They came on strong but it seemed that the staff cared less after the first 2 hours. For some reason our meal took 4 hours. We were waiting for long periods of time between plates during the second half of the meal. There are so many better restaurants in Copenhagen, don't waste your time here. Also almost every dish was seafood.
Michael S — Google review
Superb experience — the food and wine pairing is unparalleled — coupled with such a wonderful staff from the chefs to the assistants waiting on you at the table. Just watch out for the Galician who has a crazy but wonderful sense of humor. Loved chatting up the Italians who were both engaging and very talented.
Janine C — Google review
Very solid meal but 2x what it should have cost. We went to Noir two nights before in Stockholm (1 Star) and it was equally as good at less than half the price. Kadeau is a 5 star worthy place but at $1k/person, it was the most expensive meal we've ever had so it just pisses me off. I would say this meal was in the Top 25 of my worldwide experiences but definitely not in the Top 10 and all of those meals were much less expensive. Pic: The ant was intentional and interesting.

The restaurant offers an outrageous sense-spinning experience with 50 small courses and an explosion of impressions curated by maverick chef Rasmus Munk. Diners can expect a choreographed immersive experience, where they move through 50 food and drink pairings divided into five acts, often with a political statement or specific social issue in mind.
Dining at Alchemist is not just a meal—it's an unforgettable, multi-sensory experience that challenges every expectation of what food can be. From the moment you enter the striking bronze doors, you're transported into a meticulously curated world where art, science, and gastronomy converge. Each of the 50+ courses is presented with theatrical flair and profound creativity, inviting not just your palate, but your mind, to engage with deeper themes—sustainability, social issues, and the future of food. Chef Rasmus Munk and his team are true visionaries. Dishes are not only flawlessly executed but often thought-provoking, blurring the lines between performance art and fine dining. Whether it's a course inspired by climate change or an edible sculpture with an ethical message, every bite tells a story. The immersive dome, the ever-evolving visuals, and the interplay of light, sound, and scent add to the dreamlike quality of the evening. Service is impeccable—attentive yet relaxed, knowledgeable without being overbearing. Alchemist is not for the faint of heart, nor for those seeking a traditional dinner. But for those willing to surrender to the unknown, it's a transcendent experience that leaves a lasting impression. A meal here is more than dinner—it's a conversation, a spectacle, and a masterpiece.

Obviously very unique experience. Although it's quite expensive but it does worth the money. It is not only about the food while part of the dishes not really about being tasty but some kind of the statement. All around they have an amazing cocktails and wine list. In some of the dishes the chef combines successfully great taste with the statement, in some of them the taste wasnt the issue. Bottom line- highly recommended experience

The best dining (and hospitality) experience I've ever had. The dishes range from innovative spins on classic flavors from around the world to avant-garde art bites meant to challenge the way you think about what we eat and why we eat it. Provocative, challenging, educational, and delicious. The many changes in setting (the meal is served across five rooms) built a huge sense of anticipation across the night, and the multi-sensory experience of the main dining room is almost overwhelming at times. Above all, though, the impression I will be left with is how incredible the service at Alchemist is. Every dish was presented with a story to help contextualize our experience, and the beverage pairings (both wine and non-wine) were unreal. Service was attentive, fluid, and highly flexible. Our sommelier, Paolo, was incredibly knowledgeable, personable, and able to create an experience that felt special and personalized to us as guests. The care that goes into the customer experience is evident across all team members. Could not recommend the Alchemist highly enough.

The best dining experience I’ve ever had. The staff was super friendly, and made sure our experience was perfectly in order. When it comes to the food… words are not enough to express their taste. It was not just a delicious meal but a sensory tease in every aspect. Visuals, music, the stories and morals behind each dish… This is a must visit experience for everyone seeking more than just food and taste. I can not call this place just a restaurant, as it is way more than that. I wouldn’t imagine a dish could change my perspective in different aspects of life and made me more conscious about deep topics that we don’t really think about in our daily lives. Outstanding!

The calamari was just okay for us - it was a bit over fried and too oily. This is a good place to get a quick bite and to enjoy fresh fried fish.

The fish and chips was good, not the fish but the chips. The fish was overcooked and had a curry flavor, it might be not very fresh. The lobster rolls was good in flavor, bad in size for the money. The beer was good. The service was excellent.
Patrick X — Google review
Good food and a lovely staff. We enjoyed the fish and chips for dinner. We were slightly caught off guard because the fish batter tasted of curry. This was unexpected, but it was good.
Baron C — Google review
Very good fish and chips. The breading is very well done with a nice panko coating. The chips were the perfect size as well. I found the tartar sauce to be delicious with a strong dill flavor. My favorite part was the vinegar salt. The vinegar at most fish and chips restaurants only makes the food soggy and does little to flavor it. The vinegar salt adds a delightful acidity without ruining the crisp texture.

The place is cozy with good, friendly service. The fish burger was okay, but I remember their fish and chips and lobster rolls being even better.
M R — Google review
Very good fish and chips, straightforward restaurant with forthcoming and friendly service. The seating isn’t too comfy but the food was good. Instead of vinegar they had vinegar salt, which seemed to be vinegar in powder form which was also good!

The service was great and the food was also pretty good! We had a lobster roll, a burger and a poke and they were all amazing, with an interesting flavour proposal out of the ordinary.

La Banchina is a Copenhagen seafood restaurant located in Refshaleoen, known for its New Nordic cuisine and use of local, seasonal ingredients. Visitors can start their day with coffee and croissants at La Banchina, followed by a refreshing dip in the ocean. The restaurant offers a unique experience of swimming in the Copenhagen harbor. Additionally, guests can explore nearby attractions such as Lille Bakery, Oens Have urban garden, and Jaegersborggade street for shopping.
Lovely morning here! We got breakfast then did the sauna and then had oysters and wine. For the sauna there’s no shower or anything after but there is a hose to rinse off. One of the most memorable days of our trip. The oysters were amazing! Possibly the largest oysters I’ve ever had. It’s also really nice they have no plastics and sustainable practices.

A small little 'restaurant' that everybody chooses to dine outside right in the nature viewing the waterfront. This place is quite popular among the young and students as it is a great place to have meaningful conversations. Food is excellent and so is their service.
Chin M — Google review
La Banchina is one of the most unique spots in Copenhagen — the perfect mix of cozy and vibrant canal-side vibes. Sitting right by the water with a cold beer in hand feels like pure relaxation. The fish burger was excellent: fresh, flavorful, and surprisingly filling. If the weather is warm, you can even take a refreshing dive right into the canal, and for colder days, there’s a sauna that makes the experience extra special. The atmosphere is laid-back, with people lounging by the wooden docks, chatting, and enjoying the sun. Prices are fair for Copenhagen — a great balance between quality and setting. The only thing to keep in mind is the oysters: delicious but pricey, 220 DKK for 6 (about $31–32 USD). Still, the experience makes it worthwhile. Whether you’re looking to relax by the water, grab a tasty bite, or have a drink in a unique setting, La Banchina is absolutely worth a visit!

A really great spot. Went on two cold autumn days across my trip and had a dip and then enjoyed some tea and coffee. The vibes inside are super cozy in the colder months and the swimming area is nice and quiet, although I know in summer it is much more social and packed. A lovely place to reflect and slow down, the staff are very welcoming too.

This is such a great spot. We went on a sunny Saturday afternoon and still managed to snag a seat. You can order beers, wines and food from the bar and bring them over to enjoy wherever you’re sitting. A great spot for swimming or just chilling by the water with a cool vibe.

Our favourite spot of the trip! Dishes cooked up super fresh with local ingredients, love the indoor and outdoor area, very rustic and right in touch with nature. Everything we had was so good and we would definitely try this place again next time we visit

Such a pretty spot on a nice day to hang out on the dock and get good food. Some things you must know before coming: Make a sauna booking 1-2 weeks in advanced Swans poop in the swimming area. Do not put your head underwater There’s no proper bathroom

Spectacular organic fish shack. Seasonal short menu but everything was a star. The fish burger was amazing with oyster mayonnaise and brioche. Also loved the smoked cauliflower. Great organic wines as well.

Brewpub
Restaurant
Warpigs Brewpub is a popular spot located in Copenhagen's Kodbyen 'Meat Packing' District, known for its spacious and laid-back atmosphere. This eatery offers slow-cooked BBQ meats, hearty sides, and an impressive selection of beers with 20 taps. The collaboration between beer legends Mikkeller and American brewery 3Floyds has resulted in a successful venture that combines draft cocktails, wines, and spirits with a Texas Barbecue theme.
I visited twice during a three-day stay. The food is excellent—probably the best mac and cheese I’ve had in a while. It gets quite busy, but the seating area is large, so I always managed to find a spot. They also have a great selection of fruity beers.
Esomchi A — Google review
I lived in Texas for 3 years, and my wife grew up there. This met our expectation of a Danish take on “authentic” Texas barbecue. All to say, it’s very poorly executed. The closest items to authenticity were the brisket tenderness and the side sauces. The brisket was cooked well, but lacked flavor. The pulled pork was so dry it might as well have been chicken. The sausage did not seem home made. It was missing the snap, and texture of a true Texas barbecue sausage. The sides were even worse. The mac and cheese can be described as macaroni soup with “cheese” dye. It’s super watery. It looked like they didn’t drain the pasta water and just poured powdered cheese into the bowl. It was flavorless. The coleslaw looked creamy, but was super vinegary and tasted stale. I’ve had better barbecue in Massachusetts. TLDR: Steal their sauce and leave everything else behind.
Eli L — Google review
Really enjoyed Warpigs it's pretty authentic to what they do in the US and they have it set up really well. Grab a beer, grab a tray, place your food order then find a space at the tables and get stuck in. The only slight negative was the brisket was a little dry but the flavours from the smoke and rubs were excellent. The sides are really good too and it's pretty decent value for money considering the quality
Chris N — Google review
The food was good, however the pulled pork was abit dry for my liking, love the sausages and the beef brisket. Loved all their sauces!
Kiert V — Google review
The ribs and brisket were absolutely amazing, tender and flavorful. They paired well with the coleslaw, mac ‘n’ cheese, pickles, and all the sauces, which were each delicious in their own way. The beer selection was also excellent and rounded out the meal perfectly. The only dish that didn’t quite match the level of the others was the chicken wings. They lacked the slow-cooked texture we were hoping for. The highlight there was really just the honey spicy sauce they were covered in.
Verona R — Google review
For a place which specialises in smoked meats, the meats were absolutely disappointing. It was salty, dry and expensive. All the cuts were hard to chew. I got the trooper plate plus a cheesy sausage aka "special link". The sausage was lukewarm and the other meats were cold. Thats very disappoining for a plate which costs me €45. The mac 'n cheese was cold as well. Good creamyness but the macaroni was hard and the cheese taste was missing. Best thing on the plate was the coleslaw, had the right amount of sause. I really liked the choice of craft beers. I got a smoked beer the "anchestors memory". It pairs ok with the meats. But again, might be different if theu were edible. The ambiance was al right. It was loud but cosy. Theres no airco so you might get hot easily. The tables and seats were clean. To top it off there was no service for food and drinks. The cashiers were rushed and had a cold attitude. There was no time for explaining what they had. Overall, nice place but bad food.

Restaurant Radio is a Nordic restaurant located in 2011 near the old broadcasting house and city lakes in Copenhagen. The establishment offers organic and Nordic cuisine, with ingredients sourced from organically cultivated fields just outside the city, as well as from local hunters and fishermen. The menu features over 80 different crops and emphasizes plant-based produce. The restaurant is known for its reasonably priced meals and beautiful plants, creating a delightful dining experience in Copenhagen.
Restaurant Radio delivered an unforgettable December menu that took us on a journey from the very first taste of the tasting menu to the final bite. Each dish was thoughtfully crafted, with every flavour and texture perfectly balanced—truly nothing was left out. The wine pairing was spot-on, enhancing every course, and the service was attentive without being intrusive. If you’re looking for a top-tier culinary experience in Copenhagen, Restaurant Radio is the place to go!

We had the five course dinner menu. Food was really good, wine too. But almost everything had a sauce, so that one can not tell if the main ingredient was cooked to perfection and was really fresh. Friendly and great atmosphere.

Our group opted for the 3-course and 5-course menus. The food was beautifully crafted! While the baked cabbage didn’t impress us, the rest of the dishes were truly amazing!

Update 13/05: I have not received any response on the email I had send on April 25th, as per instruction in the reply of this review. -------------‐----------------------------------------------------- Based on the many positive reviews, we were genuinely excited for our evening at Restaurant Radio. The idea of enjoying modern Danish cuisine really appealed to us—especially since Nordic cuisine isn’t something you come across every day (even in Copenhagen, funnily enough). Upon arrival, we were greeted politely and asked to walk to the back to hang up our coats ourselves. Right away, we noticed an odd smell lingering in the restaurant. We suspected it was coming from the bathroom, even though we were seated across the room from the door, which had been left open. After closing it ourselves, the smell improved slightly but returned every time someone went to the bathroom. As for the food—unfortunately, this is where our disappointment truly began. We opted for the 5-course tasting menu with wine pairings, hoping for a memorable dining experience. Based on the photos we’d seen online, our expectations were high. Sadly, the food didn’t live up to the visuals. Course 1: Tomatoes in a shrimp sauce with some crunchy elements that turned out to be shrimp scales. While the flavor was okay, we were confused by the absence of actual shrimp. We were told the scales were intentional and meant to add texture, but we found them unpleasant (and sharp…). Course 2: Potato. This dish was fine with an acceptable balance of textures and flavors, though nothing particularly special. It was an improvement over the first course, and for a moment, we thought the initial dish might have just been a misstep. Course 3: Halibut. Visually impressive but overwhelmingly salty. While we’re no strangers to seasoning, this was excessive. The fish itself was good and the grilled elements added nice depth, but the large chunks of spring onion were difficult to cut, forcing you to eat them whole. The wine pairing helped cut the saltiness slightly but wasn’t enough to redeem the dish. Main course: A celeriac “steak” served with just a few berries. The texture was pleasant, but overall it felt more like a side dish than a main—lacking both substance and balance. Dessert: Apple compote. Decent, but nothing memorable or particularly exciting. Unfortunately, the wine pairings were also underwhelming. Not only did they fail to complement the dishes, but they also weren’t particularly enjoyable on their own. AND to top off, they refilled our half full waterbottle without asking and charged another 35kr for this and we ended up with another half full bottle. All in all, we left feeling disappointed with the overall experience. With mostly glowing reviews and an intriguing concept, we had hoped for so much more. Sadly, it just didn’t live up to the hype, and we felt compelled to share our honest experience.

If you’re looking for a place with hospitality and flexibility - avoid this place. Very rude manager of the restaurant. We politely asked if we could bring along our small (6kg) dog - they didn’t reply to our email request. When we showed up, assuming that this wouldn’t be an issue, they told us they are too busy to respond to all the emails and requests they receive. And they denied access. When we asked for the rationale, they first said it would be against the Danish law to bring dogs to restaurants. This is clearly not true. Then they admitted it’s their own policy that dogs are not allowed at their place. So we asked to get a place in a corner of the restaurant. Their response: no exception to the rule. And we were asked to immediately leave the restaurant. Interesting approach, to say the least.

Lovely restaurant, the place is simple but hygge, the service is great (funny people) and the kitchen delicious. Over the 5 courses menu from December, we were pleased with flavorful starters. I loved the potatoes and their bread fresh from the oven, the details and attention really make the difference. I must also mention the dessert with that mushroom ice-cream. Not everyone at the table liked it, but I did. I loved discovering new combinations of flavors. They know what they're doing and we taste it! I definitely recommend it, for the price it's a great experience! Only negative point was the door to the wardrobe. When it is not closed, the tables near that door get the smell from the toilet/pipes which wasn't appreciated. Maybe it is an issue that occurred only that day and is not recurrent.

Nice environment, good food and very attentive service. The whole dinner was a very pleasant experience. Local and seasonal products are used on the menu and it was asparagus time. Personally I thought it was a bit too much use of asparagus with 3 out of 7 dishes being asparagus focus but I must admit that all of them had something distinct and different so it was also nice to get different ways of enjoying a product. The mackerel was a bit dry for our taste but all other dishes were super good. The freshly baked bread to enjoy with a potato soup and butter was fun and delicious. I really recommend going and getting the full 7 course menu if you do.

Our dinner at Radio was a memorable one. The decor is very intimate and ambient. The service was excellent and we really enjoyed hearing the influences behind each dish. The chef came out and brought out a dish near the end of our experience which was a nice touch. The dinner itself was absolutely delicious. We ended up liking dishes with ingredients that we normally don't favor the best in the end which was surprising (leek dish). We tried a few different wines (not commonly found in the US) throughout our meal including an orange wine. All in all, this meal and experience was worth every penny. We hope to dine here again in the future.

Kiin Kiin is a contemporary Thai fusion restaurant located in Norrebro, Copenhagen. Co-founded by legendary Danish chef Henrik Yde Andersen and Lertchai Treetawatchaiwong, the restaurant offers a unique take on traditional Thai cuisine. With a relaxed atmosphere featuring rattan chairs and wooden floors, Kiin Kiin provides an oriental dining experience starting with snacks in the lounge accompanied by wine or beer before enjoying a seven or eight-course meal at the table.
Incredible fine dining experience! Each dish was an explosion of flavour, resonant in the language of Thai cuisine. Almost everything was perfect but the music was a bit cheesy, almost muzak-esque. Might be nicer if they used some modern Thai jazz or something else from that sphere (without becoming a parody of itself)

I love Thai food. Have eaten Thai food my whole life. Have never eaten Thai food like this. Super interesting. The table next to us even got to blowtorch their own crust. They definitely don't hold back on the spice level. Whole meal took about 3 hours start to finish. Service was friendly. Only complaint is that the pescatarian substitution for the beef being fishcake felt a bit.. cheap.. I was told it would be king prawn. Then again I did request no beef just before the meal. Would describe more but better you try it for yourself. Just Thai flavours in textures you've never tried before. While I definitely enjoyed my meal here, if I had to choose between this and my regular Thai takeout, I think I'd still go with the latter. Would recommend this as a try if you want Thai food but different.
Aeron E — Google review
One of the few Thai restaurants with a Michelin star. It’s a blend of traditional and some fusion mix of Thai food. We had the 6 course menu. The concept starts with a mix of snacks while you are in the main lobby of the restaurant and then you are ushered to the main dining room for the 6 course menu. The menu includes a soup, some sea food dishes and ends up with a meat dish followed by a dessert. The service is good / and attentive and expected for a Michelin star restaurant. The wines choices are good too and they have Riesling to start / followed by wine pairings if Chardonnay / Rose wine and Red Italian wine with the main meat dish. There is some innovation/ some dishes are delicious and overall the experience is a good one. It’s also decent and reasonably priced as compared to other various Michelin starred restaurants in Copenhagen/ or any other big European metropolis. Soup to begin with was delicious, one of the salmon and caviar dish was excellent and so was the meat with rice as a final main course. I would say overall worth a visit especially if you want a break from Nordic cuisines and want something spicy and Asian. Wine pairing is decent and if you don’t mind the additional cost then I would recommend. Meal for 2 is easily 400 euros without wine pairings. Verdict 4/5
Sushant T — Google review
A relic of Michelin days past. A decade or two ago, this was likely a ground breaking experience in light handed fusion of Royal Thai cuisine in a French haute cuisine format, but times and trends have moved on, and Kiin Kiin has not evolved or kept pace with what’s available on the international scene in its class of restaurant at this price point. I can see how this must have burst onto the scene so long ago, because the concept is interesting; the 6 amuse bouche/ snacks to start the meal are innovative in their mix of traditional flavours, spice, heat and textures and were one of the highlights. But as the meal progressed some of the table side theatrics just began to feel unnecessary and almost detracted from the actual quality of the cooking. Asian diners familiar with fine dining or the Michelin and even non Michelin accredited establishments in South East Asia will likely be disappointed here because the flavours are familiar but not elevated enough for them to appreciate. That said, anyone who is less familiar or just craving a light haute cuisine Asian experience for date night or a special occasion will enjoy the evening. The environment and decor is a little dated and lacks the refinement and sophistication of other establishments at this price point. But it’s still comfortable and… maybe a little too warm. The AC here is stuffy so try to be seated near a window so you can personally modulate the draft from the window yourself. The aromatic crab curry with home made rice noodle was a highlight. The curry is delicate enough to be turned into an espuma which highlights the delicate flavour and aromatics. Many of the other dishes felt very heavy handed in salt and acid and lacked the sophistication and execution of this dish. And like I said before, some of the fussiness took away from the actual good cooking of the kitchen. Not so in this dish. Service was pleasant and the establishment is run by a mostly Asian crew predominantly Thai in ethnicity to give it that exotic feeling. They seem to enjoy entertaining you and helped to make the night more of an experience.

Not a Michelin star imho. The starters on the main floor were the best. Service, flavors, atmosphere. Upstairs for the rest was tediously long… too much time between courses. Service was not good at all. Courses were trying too hard . Way too much fuss, and not enough good food. Oh, and my wine pairing with each course came late . Spend your money elsewhere. Ps- the book by the chef(?) saved the day -on each table to read while you wait, I guess . Very good .

A wonderful journey through Thai gastronomy. Very good staff and a fair price level compared to the experience and very high standard. The staff was polite and friendly and the food was delicious. I've been to Thailand and I have to say this restaurant took Thai food to a whole new level. Vækst is a unique bi-level restaurant located in Copenhagen's Latin Quarter, adjacent to the SP34 Hotel. The restaurant features a stunning two-story greenhouse with an abundance of plants and herbs that create a vibrant atmosphere for diners. The menu at Vækst focuses on Nordic cuisine, with an emphasis on vegetables complemented by meats, fish, and seafood. The owners have aimed to evoke the feeling of an endless Danish summer within the restaurant's indoor-outdoor setting.
We had an unforgettable dinner experience at this restaurant. The food was absolutely incredible – every single dish we tried was thoughtfully prepared and full of flavor. Without a doubt, this was the best steak we’ve ever had in Copenhagen. Truly outstanding. The service started off a bit slow; it took some time before anyone came to our table. However, once things got going, the staff took very good care of us and made sure we were comfortable and well looked after. One odd part of the experience was the seating arrangement. Our friends had made a reservation in advance and mentioned that it was for a wedding celebration. Despite this, we were initially offered bar stools, which felt a bit inappropriate for the occasion. Thankfully, after we asked, they moved us to a regular table. The only real downside was the lack of air conditioning – it was quite hot inside, which made the atmosphere a bit uncomfortable at times. Still, the quality of the food and the overall experience more than made up for it. Highly recommended for the food alone.

Our first dinner in Copenhagen was at Vækst, and it set a beautiful tone for the trip. The restaurant, part of the Cofoco group and tucked beside Hotel SP34, feels like stepping into a greenhouse; filled with plants, glass, and soft light. We were seated downstairs, which was quiet and calm, a lovely start to the evening. We chose the three course menu and really enjoyed it. The salted halibut and fried plaice were incredible, perfectly cooked and delicious. I also appreciated how easily they made my husband’s dishes dairy free, and the small bites between courses were thoughtful and delicious. The staff were friendly and polite, but something about the service felt a little impersonal; it took a while for anyone to greet us or explain the menu, and wine recommendations did not happen as there was no sommelier. Everything ran smoothly and at the same time food came out fast if that makes sense; and that warmth and storytelling that make a dining experience truly special were missing for me. Still, the food was delicious and although our experience wasn’t completely perfect, I would absolutely recommend Vækst for a lovely dinner or lunch in Copenhagen. NOTE: For those who like less noise, book the earliest seating while it is still reasonable for nice conversation.

Magnificent! Excellently executed food and outstanding atmosphere and service! We took 3-course menus with wine pairings and this was plenty of food (honestly don’t know how hungry you must be for a 4 course menu). They add additional mini-dishes in between main servings so there will be enough great food coming your way! Wine pairings are very generous too! Very good amount of wine, every serving.

We had lunch at Vækst in Copenhagen as part of our wedding celebration with close friends and family – and it was such a lovely experience. We were a group of nine and went for the three-course lunch menu, with drinks à la carte. The service was incredibly friendly, warm, and attentive from start to finish. We were seated upstairs, with the windows open and fresh air coming in, which made the atmosphere feel relaxed and summery. We really appreciated the small greetings from the kitchen in between the courses – especially before the starter and main course – which helped bridge the time nicely and made it feel even more thoughtful. The only downside was that the wait between the main course and dessert was a bit too long, and by the time coffee arrived, it was not really hot anymore. That said, everything else was perfect. The food, the setting, the people – it all made for a memorable afternoon. We’d absolutely recommend Vækst and would gladly come back.

Best scallops I've ever had! Apple sorbet was also amazing! The meat is better than the fish for the main course. The restaurant has a set 3 course menu so not too much choosing needed. You pick between the normal one or the vegetarian one or the 4 course one, and for each of those you can spend extra for the version with the wine pairing. Really cute ambiance and great service!

This was our second booking with a restaurant in the Cofoco group and it was yet another excellent meal. The restaurant is spread across 2 floors and seemed quieter on the below ground floor, with big party groups upstairs. Service was a little slow to start with, but excellent, and staff had no trouble dealing with a request for a gluten free meal. The presentation of the dishes is spectacular, and every course was superb. There’s a very good range of wines by the glass, and for the city, and the quality, this was an excellent value meal.

Took forever to get our table even though we had a reservation. Then it took forever to bring out the food. And it was pretty disastrous. Had the 4 course menu. Bread is rock hard, butter had no taste. Complimentary foods were okay. Scallops are freezing cold and no taste whatsoever. Caviar is forgettable. Tatar of beef is mushy, tastless, cold. The potato chips are lacking imagination. Complimentart mushroom soup is salted to the point you can't eat it. Main course of tenderloin was tasty tho the portion is small. I tasted the fried cod as well it was mediocre at best. Had the apple sorbet for dessert, which was the only exciting dish. The cream was phenomenal. But again, it was like 2 bites. Waiters were great but the service is slow. Avoid.

I had the 4 course dinner menu and enjoyed all the dishes. The salmon Tatar and mushroom soup were the standouts. Beef tenderloin was solid but didn’t necessarily blow me away. I find restos often drop the ball with dessert hit the apple sorbet was phenomenal. Highly recommend it. Food was 4.5/5. The restaurant was cozy and had a warm ambience to it. 4/5 Service was decent. But, probably could have been warmer. While I don’t like being asked how the food is after every dish, it’s odd that they didn’t ask even once or twice. So I’d give service a 3/5 for being decent overall, but could improve on warmth and friendliness. 3.5/5

Love love loved the place! I just went for my birthday and it is definitely one of my favorite restaurant in Copenhagen! We like to try out different high end Michelin restaurants, and honestly, I often quite some of servings are too salty, where I don’t finish all the food. However, all the servings here were just perfectly seasoned, and served with delicate and cute plating! It is definitely on a costy restaurant, but definitely worth it! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Food was over seasoned and the salt seemed to overpower all the dishes except the onion pie which was lovely. The bread and butter was really good. Got us excited but we were disappointed with the overall seasoning of the dishes. They did offer to cook the dishes again with less salt but we declined the offer as we have a schedule for our trip.

Of the two similarly priced restaurants we tried in Copenhagen, this one was our clear favorite. While it doesn’t offer much in terms of views—tucked away in a basement on a quiet side street—the focus here is firmly on the food, and rightfully so. Sauces take center stage, with nearly every dish finished tableside with a pour from a saucepan. Each course was excellent, but the standout highlights were the rich crab bisque and the inventive three-ways-with-rhubarb dessert. Our total came to around £250, which covered the six-course tasting menu, two glasses of wine, and a cocktail.

Great restaurant without superb good and a friendly staff. Food is at the pricy end, but it is what can be expected for the location. However, the atmosphere and the location is in my opinion lacking a bit compared to other top-end Copenhagen restaurants.

Seafood restaurant
Danish restaurant
Nestled in the charming Nyhavn district of Copenhagen, Hummer is a seafood haven that promises an unforgettable dining experience. This restaurant takes pride in redefining lobster dishes, presenting them with a fresh twist that highlights local flavors and seasonal ingredients. At Hummer, you can indulge in a delightful seafood platter while soaking up the vibrant atmosphere and mingling with locals. The commitment to quality shines through every dish; when they say fish is grilled, you can truly taste the authenticity!
We enjoyed our evening. Great service, good food.

The service staff: Very polite, nice to talk to, approachable, good at presenting the food they serve. They also speak English. Our experience: There were 2 of us, my partner had reserved a table for 6PM with a Best of Hyhavn meal for 2 via earlybird. We were seated very quickly, given drinks menus, and served our 2 elderflower drinks. We waited for our food. The food served are as follows: the olives with unripe peaches, lobster crisps and crustade with seafood salad were served in one go. It felt more like a 5-course meal when the appetizers are served this way, compared to how the items are presented on the website. These were very good, however. Followed by the tuna tartare with some bread and butter on the side. This was also a good next plate, very fresh and flavorful, without an overwhelming fishy taste. We waited some 40 minutes for our next course, which was the asparagus. Another table that arrived after we were settled in got their asparagus first, and we waited a bit too long for somewhat bitter asparagus. The website menu says there is Vesterhavs cheese with the plate, but we just had the bubbly sauce. This was my least favorite of the courses. The skin fried hake, which was the main course, has to be the best. The combination is very well executed and lets the fish shine through the sauce and sides. We asked to move inside the restaurant as it was getting very cold. There were heaters outside attached to the umbrellas, but they were turned on a little later after we went inside. We finished the meal with a delicious dessert where the cream was poured into our bowls of rhubarb sorbet, cookie dough, malt, and a couple stalks of dill. This dessert was amazing, and I had never tasted anything like it. I'm not one for rhubarb sorbet, but the combination was unique and I loved it. Overall, it was a solid experience. My only thumbs down would be that the asparagus felt a little subpar and took longest to be served. I would recommend this place for maybe some other dishes like their seafood platter or perhaps their bigger à la carte dishes. For the price, the Best of Nyhavn menu is okay, it's delicious, but not a blow-your-mind experience. But definitely try out their other dishes, they looked amazing to me from a distance!

Was very excited to have a sea food dinner, but I was pretty disappointed. Place: Uncomfortable chairs and tables are way too packed. We have ordered a bottle of wine, which was hanged on the holder on the side of the table, and completely closed the passway to leave for the bathroom (so imagine how close the tables are). Every time my partner had to use the restroom, he needed to ask a person sitting by the other table to move and let him through (annoying for both parts). Food: Pretty dull. I was really excited to get my moules frites, but the sauce was tasteless, mussels cleaned poorly (could feel some sand, contained barnacles, byssal threads) so really everything that could go wrong with this dish - did go wrong. Tried fish and chips, fish in general was okay, but it was served on a huuuge pile of french fries, even the waitress was confused. It was completely unnecessary and wasteful ( it looked like it could feed an additional 3 people). Fried oysters lacked any taste too. Mid-dinner, while I had a bite in my mouth, suddenly one waiter rushed to me, again asking under which name I have my reservation. He didn't explain anything, didn't apologise, nothing. Also seemed pretty annoyed, interaction was a bit unpleasant, since I really did have a reservation and already presented myself upon the arrival. In general wouldn't recommend nor come back.

The location is unreal, the wine is delicious, the caviar was amazing and the service was great. The only reason why I'm giving 4 stars is because for the price that they charge (we spent 85 pounds for 1 caviar and 2 glasses of white wine Riesling), it's just not it. The 30g caviar is incredibly good, but they don't serve it with the mother of pearl spoon for caviar and comes with only 5 blinis... which any one that likes it would know that it should be at least 8, after all, we are sharing between 2 people and it was waaaay to much for only 5 blinis. Also, these spoons (which are like 2 pounds each) and 3 more blinis per portion would elevate the experience 100% and cost barely anything for a restaurant. We are already paying 450DKK for the caviar (which is one of the most expensive in Copenhagen), it could at least come with a nice spoon and 3 more blinis... I just think it's too pricey for what they offer, but it's still worth a try!

We were both extremely pleased with the service provided by the waitstaff; they were attentive and professional. The chefs outdid themselves, as the dishes were perfect in both presentation and taste. The overall atmosphere was warm and inviting, making for a delightful dining experience.

Nice food with huge portion. The vibe is reallly nice. The grilled squid worthies every bite. But the chocolate is too sweet for me.

A cozy, minimalistic restaurant at the end of Nyhavn, specialising in seafood, with very friendly and attentive waiters. I was doubtful at first because many restaurants around Nyhavn tend to be quite touristy. However, this restaurant definitely exceeded my expectations. We had the grilled langoustines and the pan fried hake (both from Denmark), as well as the blinis with seafood salad and the selection of danish cheeses. The components of every dish were well-balanced, the lemon and herb butter accompanying the langoustine was full of flavour, and the asparagus and peas that came with the fish were bright and fresh. The fish was cooked to perfection - fresh, flaky, buttery, with a contrasting crisp crust - simply melting in your mouth. The bread was warm with a soft inner crumb. Thank you for this lovely evening!

This place should have a Michelin star. We did the tasting menu; everything was fresh and beautifully presented. The pace of the meal was very good; not rushed, but not huge pauses between courses. The wine pairings were inspired. If you go for one dish, try the rhubarb sorbet. It will make you cry in the best way. We made a reservation online, but there was no wait for a table inside (the outside patio was full, but I prefer inside because of smoking).

Located in the heart of the city, Esmée is a luxurious yet unpretentious brasserie offering a fusion of French and Nordic cuisine. Headed by Chef Andreas Bagh, previously from Copenhagen's renowned Marchal restaurant, Esmée's menu features delectable dishes such as Danish-style ceviche, grilled turbot, and beef tenderloin with haricots vert. The sophisticated yet relaxed atmosphere is complemented by an extensive wine list and a selection of cocktails.
Absolutely amazing location, food and venue. The front of house staff are really great - we had accidentally booked for the wrong day and she immediately accommodated our change and sat us. Our server Iris was the best server I have had in a very long time and made both great suggestions for food, was attentive and made us feel extremely welcome. For food, we did a selection of dishes, all of which were fresh and tasty. Will be back!

We had a lovely start to our evening at this restaurant. While waiting for our table, the lady at the bar was incredibly kind and prepared our cocktails exactly the way we wanted. It set a very pleasant tone for the rest of the night. The host who greeted us kindly offered to take our bags, which was a nice touch. Once our table was ready, we were seated, and the food did not disappoint. The dishes were truly delicious. The brioche lobster roll was so good, we ended up ordering it multiple times. The green salad was incredibly fresh and crispy, and the scallop was nicely cooked, although the portion was very small—more like a tasting bite. The grilled sea bass had a fantastic sauce, though only half a fish was served, which felt a bit sparse. The French fries were also excellent, but we were surprised that no condiments were provided. The warm cherry pie was outstanding—flaky, flavorful, and melted in the mouth. The ambiance and flavors absolutely live up to the restaurant’s reputation and pricing—however, what didn’t meet expectations was the service at the table. Unfortunately, our server was very unwelcoming throughout the night. He never smiled, barely acknowledged us, and avoided eye contact. At one point, he abruptly tossed a bucket of ice into the street, which even disrupted traffic. We genuinely couldn’t understand the attitude. We also had to make repeated efforts just to get attention, and in the end, we didn’t even try calling him for the check—we got up and paid ourselves. All in all, a place worth visiting for the food and atmosphere, but we hope the service improves to match the overall experience.

Fantastic spot in Copenhagen. We skipped entrées and just had a table full of appetizers and each one was out of this world. Drinks are super creative, the whole experience was amazing and the location is perfect.

Esmée is a lively upscale spot overlooking Kongens Nytorv square. If you're lucky, you can get a spot at the outdoor terrace - it is a great place to enjoy a beverage while the sun warms you up in the evening. The bar area serves only snacks (and it is worth visiting just for those flavour packed bites), but make sure you reserve well ahead for the bustling dining room that overlooks the open kitchen. Besides the snacks that are great to share, the menu features a number of sharing dishes (turbot, steak etc) so that everyone can enjoy a bit of everything.

very pricey but over all pretty good. We only disliked one dish which was their spicy fried chicken. Edible but nothing special. The service was excellent and space was nice. The star of the meal was their basque cheesecake at the end.

I think the four star rating for Esmèe is quite fair. If we start with the atmosphere, the place is absolutely stunning. Probably the prettiest restaurant I’ve ever been at. It’s so beautiful inside and the attention to detail is crazy. Lighting, ambience and just overall layout, they’ve really nailed the atmosphere. The location is of course also super nice, right on Kongens Nytorv so of course a very expensive and extravagant address and it fits the interior for sure. Service is absolutely incredible. The staff are nice, they’re attentive and they make you feel very welcome. Not only that they’re professional and also accommodating for wishes and wants throughout the meal. No comments on either atmosphere or service, top class. The food however is what brings my rating a bit down. It’s obviously super expensive, and that’s okay, you pay for location and extravagance, but then the quality should also be up to par. We started with the oysters which were delicious, not a lot to comment on there because the preparation is quite simple. Then we had a bunch of starters for the table. The truffle rösti was quite good, but nothing too overwhelming which was actually surprising considering the shaved black truffle on top. Then we also had the fried chicken, once again super delicious - but that goes for all fried chicken to be honest. I missed a bit of spice on those. They had some spice mix on top, almost like Nashville hot chicken but they should’ve coated it more because that was kinda the highlight for me. And then some olives. For the main course I had the grilled turbot. We waited quite a long time for that, around 40 minutes from our starters to the main course. Fish was cooked perfectly, but to me the star of that dish was the seasonal greens in the sauce. Everything was just super nice and fresh. The main course was a 10/10 for me. It’s a French restaurant, and honestly the menu selection for me was a bit flat. It didn’t feel like a French restaurant when considering the menu. Heavily dominated by fish, and lacked any other interesting French classics on the card. They say online they’re inspired by the Mediterranean area, while that’s true I think they’re probably a bit too inspired considering that it is supposed to be French. I end at four because of the price to quality ratio, especially considering the rather standard entrees, and menu selection as well. For that price, I expect a bit more to be honest.

I’ve ended up at this restaurant by chance multiple years in a row during annual visits to cph. The food has been consistently excellent - elevated Scandi brasserie style dishes, with the artichoke as a personal favourite. Great cocktails, mocktails and desserts too. What’s less consistent is the service. Sometimes it’s personable and attentive other times it’s distracted, rude and snobbish. That said, the atmosphere is always lovely, whether you’re seated in the courtyard, inside, or outside watching the bypassers. Just don’t be surprised if the service is hit or miss. *** Note to management: might be time for an attitude check in your hiring process 😅

Hooked Christianshavn is a casual seafood spot in Norrebros that started as a popular food truck. The restaurant offers gourmet fish and chips, lobster sandwiches, and hooked burgers at reasonable prices. While some find the food slightly above average, others rave about dishes like the crispy prawn bowl and the outstanding salmon bowl. The atmosphere is lovely, and the service is friendly. However, some caution that prices can be a bit high for the experience.
If you’re a seafood lover, Hooked is an absolute must visit! The food is fresh, creative, and beautifully presented. I tried their lobster roll, and it was simply outstanding The vegetable dumplings were Crispy on the outside, soft and flavorful inside I also had one of the shrimp poke bowls, and it was so vibrant and refreshing The atmosphere is casual and cozy, and the service was fast and friendly.

Super nice staff, cool place for dinner. We had the 6 course menu - which was very tasty and fresh in the first half, but the main courses were too fried (fries + tempura + butter bun with lobster and mayonaise) - we would prefer to have a salad instead of one of the super heavy fried main courses. But overall it was a good experience.

Really enjoyed the fish and chips! Crispy and not greasy at all. The mushy peas were a bit weird to what I'd expect in the UK, just a bit dry and cold!

Very crispy and the tartar sauce added that ✨️flavour sparkle✨️. The greens brought a nice, fresh balance to it. The waitresses were very sweet and attentive. Absolutely in love with that place. Also highly recommend the Prawn Poke Bowl. It was a dream!

I had to try their lobster roll. It was delicate and bite sized. The fish and chips were good and I especially enjoyed the vinager salt with the chips. A bit in the pricey side but delicious.

Service was really good but it was absolutely boiling in here which made it hard to eat. The fried calamari was really good as was the lobster roll. Fish and chips also great, very different in terms of breading. Prices reasonable and seating good.

Overrated Experience with Poor Execution vs. Price Point While Hooked is arguably Copenhagen's unique spot for this style of fast/casual seafood, my overall experience was disappointing, leading me to feel the restaurant is significantly overrated. Dish Breakdown: The Hamburger: The bun was inappropriate for the size, making it unwieldy. The accompanying salad/toppings (cucumber and onion slices) actively clashed with and overpowered the fish flavor. Calamari: Unfortunately, it was completely saturated and dripping with oil—truly unappetizing. Crispy Prawns: This was the only item that was marginally acceptable, perhaps considered "decent." The Bright Spot: The side salad was genuinely distinct and tasted great. Value for Money: I spent nearly 600 DKK on what turned out to be a very unenjoyable meal across their most expensive items. The price simply does not justify the quality delivered. I have resolved not to return. Conclusion: I suspect the high ratings stem from customers who haven't experienced similarly conceptualized seafood elsewhere, where quality and execution are clearly superior. I strongly believe their opinions would shift dramatically after trying better alternatives.

Scandinavian restaurant
Høst is a stylish restaurant in Copenhagen that offers a rich and intensely rustic dining experience, blending modern trends in New Nordic cuisine with Danish design. The dining room features white walls and rustic wooden tables, creating an interesting blend of design-oriented creativity from the food, interior design, and dinnerware communities. Despite minimal interior decoration, Høst has received three international design awards and is part of Cofoco, known for bringing Scandinavian soul and simplicity into its food and decor.
Absolute gem of a restaurant! It’s a set menu but they do surprise you with some extra courses. The potato was the best thing ever. Overall really enjoyed the menu, unique flavours and textures. Highly recommend making a booking and stopping by. Perfect for a moody date night
Karen T — Google review
Høst was one of the restaurants we were excited to visit in Copenhagen; We had heard so many great things about this place so we made sure to book in advance. The restaurant is part of the Cofoco group, who are known across Copenhagen for their modern Nordic restaurants that focus on sustainability, local produce and beautiful design. Høst embodies all of that; it’s stylish yet relaxed, with lots of natural light and greenery throughout, which gave it a calm and stunning atmosphere. The greenery actually reminded me a little of Vækst, and even the way the sauces were poured over the dishes- I love sauces, so that definitely doesn’t bother me! The menu showcases modern Nordic cuisine, focusing on what's in season seasonal with lots of creative combinations. We went with the five course menu; every very dish was fresh, beautifully presented and for me, delicious! I loved all of the surprise dishes and palate cleansers that came out in between courses. The only dish that didn't blow my mind was the lobster; lacked the wow factor, but that is just my personal taste. My personal highlights were the scallops and the hake; both were cooked perfectly and absolutely delicious! They also offer matching wines or wines by the glass, but since we’d had a few too many the night before, we went with their local kombuchas, which were amazing and paired beautifully with the meal. They do cater for food intolerances and have a vegetarian menu, which is great if you’re dining with a group. Compared to their sister restaurant, I found the experience here to feel more elevated; nothing felt rushed, and the service was spot on. Unlike some others experiences, the team explained everything with care and made sure we always had enough water and were enjoying ourselves without ever feeling over served. I’d absolutely recommend booking a table if you’re planning a trip to Copenhagen.
Happy D — Google review
We had the five course dinner, and were very pleased with the experience. The restaurant is beautiful and filled with thriving plants. The food presentation is as beautiful as it was delicious. The menu was innovative and the food fresh and courses went well together. We had the lobster, and it was the best we’ve ever had and unique with the sauces and greens to complement the fish. All servers were knowledgeable and helpful, but Elizabeth, our main wait person, was very attentive and knowledgeable. Wish we were closer to become regulars.
Lisa L — Google review
I had an excellent experience at Host Restaurant with the 5 course menu. The chefs did an amazing job turning simple ingredients into something that tasted incredible. Every dish had great textures and flavors that worked so well together. You can tell a lot of care went into each plate. The attention to detail was remarkable, from the presentation to the pacing of the meal. Great experience!
Diana T — Google review
Great modern rearrangement of Nordic food. Unique and flavourful. I would have enjoyed it if the servers explained each dish as it was served. They are very knowledgeable when we did ask! I am a bit of a faster eater so the pace I found slow. We were there for about 2.5h for the 5 course meal (including waiting for the bill). I believe about 2h total would have been perfect.
Brandon L — Google review
The atmosphere is both rustic and elegant – warm and relaxed, yet refined. The food is creative and flavorful, with bold combinations of tastes and textures. For my palate, some flavors were perhaps a bit too intense (for example, cauliflower with truffles or thyme with mussels), but everything was thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented. The desserts were outstanding – a perfect way to end the meal. Just as a beautiful glass enhances the enjoyment of wine, I would have appreciated cutlery that felt a little less rustic to balance the overall impression.
Marina J — Google review
Delicious food in a beautiful atmosphere! We ordered the 5 course menu and highly recommend it! They have multiple “surprise” dishes throughout the courses which were nicely timed and very good. The mussel soup was incredible and the lobster entree. Only thing I would change is the beef entree was very large and hard to cut. I think the overall flavor of the dish would benefit from a reduction in the amount of meat served. Also request the back room if possible, there is greenery everywhere that adds to the cozy feeling.

Marv & Ben is a renowned venue in Copenhagen known for its creative locally-sourced food and organic wine list. The restaurant offers simple classics presented in an artistic manner, bursting with flavor. Embracing the New Nordic style, the seasonal menu heavily relies on Danish ingredients, some of which are sourced from their own garden. The biodynamic and organic wines complement the dishes perfectly. With a relaxed gastro-pub ambiance, Marv & Ben provides a unique dining experience in the heart of Copenhagen.
One of the best dining experiences we’ve had. Service was excellent, every dish was carefully explained to us and the time between courses was spaced out perfectly. The staff asks just enough questions to be able to tailor the experience for you while still being able to guide you through the courses. The ambiance is wonderful here. The open kitchen when you arrive is also a plus. We particularly enjoyed the gazpacho and the mackerel cucumber (first dish in the fast four). Definitely get a reservation.

A fantastic dining experience! We truly enjoyed our dinner at Marv&Ben. I had the 6-course menu with wine pairing, and my wife had the 4-course menu. The staff were incredibly helpful, even made changes to my wife's dishes to suit her needs. All the food was excellent. The white wines in the pairing were outstanding, though I feel the red wine choices could be improved. Overall, a must-visit restaurant for anyone in Copenhagen

We celebrated our wedding dinner here with our family (a group of 8), and it was truly an unforgettable experience. From the very beginning, communication with the restaurant was smooth and easy. We booked the private room, which turned out to be absolutely perfect for the occasion. The star of the evening was undoubtedly the service — Antonio, our host, was exceptional. Kind, attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely warm. He made us feel incredibly well taken care of throughout the evening. The food was spectacular. Every dish was cooked to perfection, beautifully presented, and paired wonderfully. It was, without a doubt, the best dining experience we’ve ever had. Our family keeps talking about how incredible everything was! Special shoutout, too, for how well they accommodated dietary restrictions — everyone was looked after with care. We are so thankful to the entire team who made the evening so special. This dinner will forever be a cherished memory!

Where to start? Everything was just too good. I shouldn’t go into details because I would end up writing a novel. I must say though, must everything in this city be so absolutely tasty!? it’s outrageous! Everybody’s so kind here and everybody that has a restaurant has done their homework. I am impressed. Congratulations! I am awarding you a medal of scrumptious honor. I will have to come back every year or so to make sure the medal is still there. Until next time!

With over a decade of Michelin stars proudly displayed at the entrance, expectations were high. But the experience fell flat immediately. The interior felt dark and average, with loud, unfitting music, cheap-looking décor, and even fake flowers. Coats hanging in the middle of the dining room made the space look messy and unrefined. Service was underwhelming: despite sharing our allergies in advance, the staff couldn’t confidently explain what was safe for us to eat. Which is unacceptable at any level, let alone a Michel restaurant. The 6-course menu was the biggest disappointment. The bread was undercooked and had to be sent back, the second bread was also undercooked, the fish dishes were bland, and the tartare lacked any flavour. Only the main course stood out. Overall, far below what one expects from a Michelin-awarded restaurant in Copenhagen. Not worth the hype, and definitely not worth the money.

Everything about this place was amazing. The food, the people, and the ambiance. They have two sets of tasting menus (a six course and a four course) and an option to order items À la carte… I opted for the four course tasting menu with the wine pairing. Everything was explained well and every bite was an exploration of flavors and textures. I went as a solo diner and it was a great experience overall… I hope to return to this restaurant on my next trip to Copenhagen

One of the best bib gourmand Michelin restaurants I have ever visited so far. Very very well balanced menu and perfect ingredient mixing. Absolutely worth the visit. Surprised that they don’t have one star rating. Waiters were, some very experienced, and one or two very new. I missed to be offered the caviar extra and the great story of the wild blueberries used for the dessert. But if a staff is not trained well, then some info is not relayed to the customer. But i managed to overhear these stories from other tables. And i know when i eat wild blueberries. Its a very different taste.

Relae is a renowned restaurant in Copenhagen, known for its inventive 4 and 7-course menus served in a smart, minimal space. Beautiful restaurant serving beautiful, locally sourced dishes. My husband and I booked seats at the counter, which was an excellent choice as we were able to watch the dishes being made in the open kitchen. We did the Relae Menu with matching wines (there's also a Relae Experience menu with additional dishes). The food was exquisite and the wine matches were perfect!

Came away feeling rather disappointed. Mostly because they missed out on a dish for us - we had to be the ones to remind them, and they didn’t apologise either. Service was not too bad other than that though. Pork was also slightly too raw, although they did accede to my request for a more cooked slice without complaints. Dishes were very creative and surprisingly tasty for what they were (mainly veg based). I went for the juice pairing - there were a couple of hits but the rest were just alright.

Not the most memorable Michelin dinner of my life, but still a good experience at a reasonable price for the quality of the ingredients, which were undeniably excellently sourced. The music was sometimes good, sometimes tragic - that made the atmosphere a bit weird at times. Overall a decent experience. I would like to try it again because I believe they are capable of more taste-wise - like in their sister restaurant Manfreds.

We sat on the table overlooking the kitchen. It proved to be an all encompassing experience including hearing the dynamics of the kitchen staff. The tasting menu (4 course) proved to be filling and gave us enough of a variety to have appreciated the freshness and overall theme the chef is trying to convey.

We had mixed feelings when we entered the restaurant after reading different reviews (1 to 5). We chose the Relae menu and could not be more pleased. The presentation and taste (albeit bland) are well thought out. The pull out utensils drawer is a fantastic idea. The servers were knowledgeable and engaging. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Ralae earns 4.5 stars from us (5 if the music was a bit quieter). We also met Head Chef Jonathan, keep it up.
SL K — Google review
My expectation for Relae is quite high, and I have to say food here is not stunning at all. Maybe it’s okay for 1 star. But ranking as No.39 of world’s best restaurant is overrated (just my point of view). I’ve tried the 4 course menu #891. The second one is interesting, pumpkin with brown butter sauce. The pumpkin is proper cooked, tender and sweet, with a pinch of salt on top, very beautiful presented. However, the brown butter sauce is too strong, it covers the beauty taste of the pumpkin, very lack of balance. The third dish is duck breast with roasted apple and duck liver. I really enjoy the pace of taste in this dish. It leaves the liver till the end to give it a full flavor combination. This followed by a duck dumpling that is definitely the disappointment of this meal. The dumpling made from potato flour which is very sticky. The stuffing had quite some duck fat. Therefore, this dish taste super fatty and oily. It lack of a crunchy texture in my mouth. In general, I would say it’s nice to give it a try. But please lower your expectation when you decided to visit here.

After being unable to get a reservation at Noma, Relæ was suggested to me as an alternative. Keep in mind, I am definitely not the type of person to eat at Michelin-star restaurants, I love larger portions of food, but my experience at Relæ was phenomenal. I went with the “Menu” experienced prices at 475 DKK. I sat by the kitchen and was able to see all the work the chefs did. All the dishes were displayed and created with such intricacy. As I was presented with each dish, I was also given information about them. The ingredients are all organic, taking an ethical approach to all the food they cook. For one of the dishes, I was told that chefs travel to a farm every morning to collect items for that specific dish (I forgot which one this was). My favourites were the lamb dish and the dessert. The lamb was cooked to perfection – it didn’t feel like a lamb texture, it was so each to chew, and overall so pleasant to eat. The dessert was like nothing I’ve had before - it was some type of parfait with black currant, rose hip and bee pollen. The flavour was light, fruity, and unexpected. Overall, I’d definitely recommend Relæ if you’re around the beautiful city of Copenhagen. Even with the cheapest set menu, you’re bound to have a great experience.

Very good food and good wine. We had the full experience without wine pairing; we picked a nice bottle of Barolo instead. What let them down was that it was really hot inside and the service became brisk and unfriendly at the very end. I put the latter down to being very late at the end of a busy Saturday night, but still not quite ok for the establishment. Some dishes were outstanding some a bit less. Their bread is amazing.

Nestled by the picturesque Nyhavn Harbour, Restaurant Havfruen is a delightful waterfront bistro that captures the essence of local dining. This charming eatery offers a perfect blend of relaxation and socializing, making it an ideal stop for both locals and travelers alike. With its inviting terrace, guests can savor sustainable seafood sourced from local waters while enjoying a refreshing glass of wine or beer on sunny days.
Very good food and great service. Must try the shrimp toast and mussels. The food is so good, went back again (2 days later) before we left Copenhagen. The mussels are perfectly cooked and in big portions.

Great location right by Nyhavn with a fantastic atmosphere. Since it was raining that day, we chose to sit inside, and the indoor vibe was also really nice. The seafood platter wasn’t too impressive, but it looked great for photos. The shrimp pasta was surprisingly delicious and highly recommended!
Steph C — Google review
Very nice experience dining here, while sitting in their outdoor, covered area, watching people walk by and listening to a guitarist playing classical and Spanish music! Wonderful! We started with the area’s famous Skagen Toast, which is North Sea shrimps, mayonnaise, dill, sourdough bread. The shrimp salad really makes this good, and I like the sour dough bread instead of rye. Next dish was the Tagliolini ai Gamberoni pasta with shrimps, tomatoes, white wine, garlic, chili. Oh my! So good! And the chili have it just the right amount of zing. Last dish was the Moules Frites: line caught blue mussels, cream, white wine, onions, garlic, herbs, fries, aioli. Quite a large pot of mussels with a nice broth. I encourage you to try this place. We enjoyed it a lot. My only warning is if you don’t like eating near people who smoke, choose you’re seat wisely.

Oysters are very clean, fresh and tasty! Excellent cooking fish and lobster! Linguine is my favorite food! We enjoyed the best local food here in Copenhagen!

The food we ordered are very good. We ordered 12 pieces oysters sampler for 500DKK which is a bit expensive but good. The mussels and shrimp were also good. Then the ribeye steak was surprisingly very good considering the restaurant is mainly seafood. Staff are accommodating.

One of few seafood restaurants with a vegan options. My (non-vegan) family loved their moules frites and said it’s one of the best they’ve had. I enjoyed the vegan meal. Highly recommend to sit inside on a rainy day as it’s very cozy and authentic.

We sat for a glass of wine and we paired it with a set of (6pcs) of oysters for tasting. The oysters were really nice, you could taste the sea and iodine. The house wine was ok, not bad but not great either. It was very busy so the service was initially a bit slow but all the waiters were very friendly and kind with us. No complaints for the service. As expected for Nyhavn, it was quite over priced. 500kr for 2 glasses of wine and 6 oysters. Great to relax and get some rest, but I don't think I will be going again.

We went for the food week in Copenhagen with my friends and the food was incredible. Also the drinks, so unique and good! Our waiter was so special. She spoke Spanish, danish and English! I have no words

We had a great experience at this sticks’nsushi. restaurant. The atmosphere and service were excellent. Since the kitchen closes around 9 PM, we quickly ordered a plate consisting of sushi rolls and a sashimi platter. It was quite a lot for two people! Our order turned out to be a "Four Meal Drive," which was quite generous. The Hell’s Kitchen and spicy tuna roll was especially delicious. Overall, a great spot for sushi lovers!

Super warm and helpful staff. We were happy with the sake, appetisers, sushi and dessert but the sticks we for were only so so, especially the salmon one which was too dry from being over cooked. We were though seated uncomfortably close to our neighbouring table which we weren't a fan of.

Nestled in the charming Christianshavn district, Restaurant Kanalen offers a delightful dining experience that beautifully marries elegance with a touch of history. Housed in a former customs office, this airy eatery boasts large windows that frame stunning views of the picturesque Christianshavns Canal, where sailing ships and quaint warehouses create an idyllic backdrop. The restaurant specializes in French-inspired Danish cuisine, featuring an impressive selection of herring dishes that celebrate traditional flavors.
We had such a lovely Saturday lunch at Kanalen. The service was friendly and top-class, and the food was incredible. The salmon was honestly the best I have had in years. All the easily fish dishes very incredible and full of flavors. We can definitely recommend Kanalen - for the food, the service and the picturesque atmosphere.

Great restaurant, lovely flavours. Best in mind that portions are quite small, even the mains can be just a few bites. The pork from the mains is incredibly fatty, the tartar was amazing, and the tempura peppers were also pretty great! The staff is welcoming, but it’s a little odd when making a reservation for outside seating, and be placed inside just because other customers were there earlier. It is definitely lovely inside too, especially if you seat by the window.

Had a great meal here when visiting Copenhagen with my sister. The food was a great mix of experimental flavours and we really enjoyed our meal. The waitress was also so kind and helped us with recommendations with wine and bars to visit after our dinner. It was small portions and expensive but we thoroughly enjoyed.

Very pleasant experience. From the beginning and reception by staff. Atmosphere / ambience was welcoming. Waiter was upbeat knowledgeable and attentive ( but not overly attentive). Sat outside and tables were well spaced. Interesting/creative offerings well executed.

We had one of our best meals in ages at Kanalen. The atmosphere is warm and intimate, with an open kitchen where you can watch the chefs finishing plates and cooking over open coals - always intriguing and fun to watch. The food was varied, creative, and delicious. The portion sizes were small but sufficient and the guidance for ordering quantities was accurate. They comfortably accommodated a lactose intolerant guest and were generous in their wine pours. Our favorites included the ibérican pork skewers, oysters, and ceviche, but everything we ate was amazing.

Nestled in the vibrant Kongens Nytorv area of Copenhagen, Restaurant Palægade is a culinary gem that celebrates Danish cuisine with its exquisite smørrebrød, or open-faced sandwiches. Since its inception in 2016, this charming eatery has captivated locals and visitors alike with its commitment to quality and flavor. The menu boasts over 40 varieties of smørrebrød, featuring everything from traditional herring to succulent tenderloin topped with mushrooms.
Quite possibly the best smørrebrød I’ve ever had! We didn’t have a reservation and tried to get in on a Friday afternoon. Restaurant was packed and we waited for about 15 mins for a table that didn’t show up. Lucky us! Highly recommend the dishes here that we have tried. We liked it so much we wanted to order a 2nd portion of the tomato dish but unfortunately the kitchen was already closed. We enjoyed our time here so much we are planning to visit again, hopefully for dinner in the next week.

We had the tasting menu in September 2024 when visiting Denmark, with some adjustments made by the chef to make it halal for myself and my husband. And they kept it normal menu for my in-laws as they are not Muslims. Was very accommodating and friendly staff, they keep your glasses full and stomach satisfied. My father in law recently visited Copenhagen for work, and dined the restaurant again and loved it again. It is also very reasonably priced and very filling. Highly recommended!

I arrived without a reservation, and even though the restaurant was full, they managed to accommodate me. The food was delicious—I ordered the course menu. Handmade bread was delicious, , but butter was too salty. Some plates took a bit long to arrive, but it was worth the wait, all were delicious! Service was excellent

We stumbled on this michellin star restaurant by accident with no reservations but were seated with no wait. Incredibly child friendly for an 8 year old though no kids menu. No pretentious dress code. Food was delicious. Even my picky child ate the food. Portions are small. They recommend 2-3 plates per person and they do charge for water.

Aamanns 1921 is a renowned restaurant in Copenhagen, known for its traditional and contemporary Danish cuisine. The establishment offers a variety of classic dishes made with fresh, local ingredients, but it's most famous for its creative take on smorrebrod, an open-faced sandwich. The signature dish features grilled sirloin with fried eggs, mushrooms, and roasted pumpkins and is considered one of the best in the city.
I went with a local friend, and it’s clear why this place is so well-regarded. They specialize in smørrebrød, the Danish type of tartine with varieties for every taste: fish, meat, veggie. They’re also very accommodating, offering gluten-free and lactose-free versions of their smørrebrød. A special bonus: they even have their own Aquavit (Danish schnapps), which adds a nice authentic touch to the experience. The staff is lovely and the restaurant is spacious, though I’d still recommend making a reservation.
Michel P — Google review
We had the 8-course tasting menu. Apparently the dishes were designed by the restaurant to be shared. This concept worked reasonably well for the starters, but it did not felt right for the main course, which was unfortunately served cold. Overall, the execution of the menu didn’t quite meet our expectations. The service was warm and professional. However, our table was placed in a corner and we were often overlooked, which made it difficult to get the staff’s attention at times. All in all, a mix of thoughtful ideas and good service, but the experience didn’t fully deliver.
Patrick E — Google review
The shrimp open sandwich is heavenly good! Even the shadow is artistic! I wanna go back and try it again It’s weird though, that although there are empty seats, walk in guests were told that it was fully booked. Until I finished my meal, the seats were still empty. Maybe they thought everyone wanted a 2-3 hour proper dinner so there wasn’t enough time for that.
Huilian Q — Google review
An excellent restaurant that caters to all tastes. It’s very well priced compared to some of the other restaurants in Copenhagen. The desserts are a must try, especially the one with Danish chocolate on brioche bread.
Shayan K — Google review
I had the 8-course menu and was absolutely delighted – both by the extraordinary flavors and the outstanding service. Every dish was a surprise in the best way possible, and the staff made the whole evening even more enjoyable. A truly memorable dining experience!

Had an amazing time at Aamanns! Trying the Smørrebrød for first time and it was delicious. The service was excellent and very attentive. They have the option for lunch menu which I choose. It lets you choose 2 savoury Smørrebrød and one sweet. I had the traditional salmon one ofcourse which was excellent and very fresh and they kindly also made the chicken salad one without bacon. Will definitely visit again if I am ever back to Copenhagen.
Aakarshika S — Google review
charging 70dkk for water is a lot. Food was good but overpriced. Them not giving a full basket of rye bread for the most expensive thing on the menu also feels insane. Especially because you are allowed to get more but they have to serve it to you like you are getting meat at a buffet is not a classy experience. I wish they would not do the random efforts to make more money when they already charging 200+ for something that cost them 25dkk to make. The salmon is the best on the menu btw to anyone who might be reading this. She also seemed a bit weird about me tipping 40dkk but I just don't think we have tipping culture in Denmark so I just did cause she didn't do anything bad. She seemed stressed out tho. I will end by saying that the cook is very gifted but that I think other aspects are lacking.
M H — Google review
What a stunning restaurant - modern, elegant, and filled with natural light. Aamanns 1921 was recommended to us by a Danish friend, and as visitors from Australia, we were very pleased with our experience here. The food was outstanding - beautifully presented, rich in flavour, and clearly made with high-quality ingredients. Our waitress was not only attentive but also very knowledgeable, taking time to explain the dishes and share insights. It was a true fine dining experience with a Nordic twist. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Copenhagen!

Unforgettable dinner, wonderful and deep flavors, incredible juice pairing, lovely staff and such a creative menu. Look out for the turbot and the langoustine, among the best fish dishes I've ever had. Love! ❤️

One of Copenhagen's best restaurants and premier for special events. Impeccable service with chefs delivering and explaining each part of the tasting menu. The number of courses is almost overwhelming, but the staff allows you time to experience it. You may be here 2-4 hours and if you choose the tasting menu, have plenty of room and eat very lightly the day of your reservation. Dishes are creative and complex, with each dish arriving like a work of art. Some bites are sublime, and others take you through degrees of savory. Ancient ingredients are reimagined. We chose the wine pairing, which is 5 different wines after the champagne opener. It was an incredible experience and perfect for our anniversary. Highly recommend for memorable experience.

Food and flavors are solid without much effort on making some intricate pieces on the plates. The baby pine cone desert was surprisingly good. We were really amazed by the building. I wished we knew more about the history of the building. The construction of the ceiling must be very difficult - the geometry and symmetry looks perfect to me. And, the food matches up the architect. We were told "It's an old building". We knew Copenhagen is an old city, but we didn't expect there to be so many really well preserved "centuries old" buildings and city blocks.

This is our favorite restaurant in Denmark! Dining in the basement of Motke Palace was priceless. The staff made sure we felt comfortable throughout the night. The courses were Nordic based diet, simple but not boring. I tried turbot for the first time. It is a very fishy type of seafood, and they prepared it so well as the main course. I had no issue appreciating the main dish.

As expected, a superb dining experience. We brought my 9 year old niece, who loved more than a few of the 17 courses, and the staff were very gracious and kind. I recommend the juice pairing for adventurous non-drinkers.

I am so happy to have been here for the opening night of their new restaurant space. Absolutely unbelievably good meal, lived up to all expectations. This is the one restaurant that I have been to in the last several years that I believe is underrated, even though it has 2-Michelin stars. The space is wonderfully pointed in clean with such elegant design choices. The food is second to none, obviously, each dish was just perfect. All of the wait staff were polished and friendly and genuine in their interactions. I had some very nice one on one time with several members of the staff because a|o|c had a very limited seating on this opening night. After spending a week in Copenhagen, this is surely the meal of the trip. I will look forward to watching this restaurants progress, and hopefully visiting again in the future.

The Shrimp is a luxurious seafood restaurant in central Copenhagen that offers a wide array of fresh seafood dishes. The atmosphere is romantic and the staffs are friendly, making it the perfect spot for a special evening out. Try their quail dish if you're looking for something tasty and unique!
We were lucky to get an early dinner reservation on our first night in Copenhagen. We had our 7 month old with us and the wait staff was super accommodating and friendly about us having her there (we would have taken her out if she got fussy) especially since it was a super nice restaurant. The vibes were amazing with the tall ceilings, courtyard feel, and great lighting. The food was incredible. We had these potato focaccia rolls with lime whipped butter that were absolutely the best things I've ever eaten. Steaming hot. The cocktails were perfectly made. I had the hake and my husband had the beef tartare and we shared the scallops. Everything came out quickly and the service was friendly. Our waitress schooled us in saying thank you and thank you so much on Danish as well.

Amazing resturant in the heart of Copenhagen with an amazing atmosphere. Food and service was absolutely on point and from our interaction with waiters, server and seater you clearly get the vibe that this is a great place to work and hence a great place to dine. You can get better food elsewhere, but for the price I have no complaints. Only thing that took this place a peg down was that when paying with card you are asked to enter the amount of the tip when you expect to enter your pin... I was not warned by staff about this exceptional process and was about to give several thousand in tips 🙈 Please do not add Tip in the payment process. Tipping should be voluntary based on an expressed wish not set up as the default option after accepting the amount

I discovered this charming spot by chance while planning my trip to Copenhagen. Tucked away in the bustling Nyhavn neighborhood, the restaurant offers a cozy atmosphere with warm, authentic service. We visited The Shrimp on a Tuesday evening, and the restaurant was not busy at all—likely because the weather was lovely and most locals seemed to be enjoying the summer evening outdoors before the rain returned. This gave us the perfect quiet setting to savor our meal. As a welcome from the kitchen, we were served complimentary shrimp tartlets—delicate, flavorful, and a lovely way to begin the evening. The fresh, still-warm potato bread with creamy butter was another highlight. For starters, I ordered the tuna tartare. While the tuna was exceptionally fresh with a beautiful pink hue, the dish could have used a bit more seasoning to bring it to life. My friend had the octopus, which I must admit I preferred—generously portioned and flavorful enough to serve as a shared starter or even a main. For the main course, I had a beautifully cooked white fish—moist, flaky, and perfectly paired with vegetables and a velvety white sauce. My friend’s beef dish was cooked exactly to his liking and looked equally impressive. All in all, it was a very enjoyable dining experience. If you’re in the Nyhavn area and looking for good food in a laid-back setting, this place is definitely worth a visit.

We stayed at the Hotel SKT Anne, where this hidden gem of a restaurant is located. The included breakfast buffet was excellent, offering a variety of food, including pastries, cheeses, breads, proteins, yogurts and coffee drinks. Which were all very good. After a long day of walking the city, we decided to have dinner here. The dinner was reasonably priced, and excellent. The service was great. It was not very busy. The atmosphere is also very nice. You are surrounded by live plants. Very relaxed. If you want a break away from the crowds and have a nice dinner, this is the restaurant for you.

Punk Royale offers a one-of-a-kind dining experience that is wild and unconventional. The atmosphere is filled with strobe lights, fog, and an unpredictable serving style that adds to the excitement. The menu is impressive, featuring high-quality dishes served in unexpected ways. Guests can expect vodka shots, caviar served on the back of their hand, and a lively ambiance that includes punk rockers interacting with diners.
We were not sure what to expect from our experience at Punk Royale. And "experience" is the best way to describe it. Punk Royale is more than a meal. From the moment they escort you through the door, it is nonstop excitement. Not only is the food outstanding, but it is served in interesting ways and there is not a moment wasted. Get ready to have fun, to get to know the diners around you, and to have some great food in rapid fire format. If you're looking for a restaurant where you wait 45 minutes for your next tiny dollop of food to arrive and worry about which utensil to use, do not go to Punk Royale. If you're looking to spend tons of money for a meal but still leave hungry, do not go to Punk Royale. Crazy nice experience! Celebrated 5 year anniversary with the fiancée and what an experience! Amazingly decorated and well tasting food, paired with quality-tasting beverages. 90's and early 2000's music gave a very fitting ambience, and the waiters and chefs were very energetic and friendly. A recommendable visit

Such a fun and untraditional dining experience! I totally understand why Punk Royale has become so popular. Amazing food in a fun and quirky atmosphere that really challenges what you’d normally expect from a fine dining restaurant. Get ready for waiters trash-talking you, hand-feeding and making you drink a lot of alcohol... all while enjoying high-quality food served in the weirdest ways (e.g., from an ashtray). Alcohol is a big part of the experience too (but of course, they’ll ask in advance if you want to drink or not). Do yourself a favor and embrace the full experience! I don’t think you’ll find anything like Punk Royale anywhere else.

Punk Royale is a unique experience that I feel everyone should try. The food is excellent and the staff is really into what they are doing and what the concept is all about. 4 stars for the atmosphere only because it’s hard to talk in a large group, as the venue gets quite loud.

Eclectic restaurant
Restaurant Rebel is a modern venue with an open kitchen that has undergone several transformations. It started as a New Nordic and French fusion spot, then became known for its steak bearnaise, and now it's a relaxed bistro offering a blend of French and Nordic cuisine. The atmosphere is laid-back, making it the perfect place to enjoy a good steak and drinks. Guests have praised the attentive service, fantastic wine selection, and delicious food.
The food was so delicious and tastet great. Really good service. One of my girl friends is allergic to almost everything. Both the waiter and the chef talked to her and made her meal so delicious Must try when in Copenhagen ❤️
Mariah N — Google review
The food was good but too expensive for what it was. You can find similar menus in CPH for 20-30% cheaper. The service was good and staff were friendly. Unfortunately the sparkling water was not sparkling enough, probably the pressure bottle needed changing. Restaurant is okay, but we were placed upstairs next to the speakers which was a bit loud. If the price was lower for the menu I would rate it 4 star.

I loved everything about the place - delicious food with all elements complimenting each other and great wine menu. Butter and brioche buns are AMAZING!!! Staff is friendly, service is very quick.

A great tastning experience. We went for the “rebelsk aften” with the “uncontrollable” wine pairing. The food was really amazing and the wine pairing was good. We thoroughly enjoyed the Phillip prie brut for the appetizers, but were not too keen on the la perle rose. However, what I want to highlight the most is the service provided but the store manager and chefs to accommodate my (impractical) intolerance of garlic and onion. Most dishes as in every restaurant, are based on these ingredients and it is often not possible to accommodate my intolerances. They however ended up doing just that and provided alternatives to all the items containing this on the menu and switching certain dishes or making alternative sauces. They were still flavourful and resulted in a great gastronomical experience. I would definitely visit again.

We were seated immediately. We then waited 30 minutes for water. The food was tasty, but they forgot two main dishes: a chicken dish and a steak dish, as well as the bread we ordered. The waiter was not professional in his interaction with other tables. The only good news is that they didn't charge us for the forgotten food.

We had spent there our Valentine’s Day. I would highly recommend this place for three reasons. Firstly because of the amazing starters, secondly because of outstanding dessert and wine made from blackcurrant. Last but not least - high quality service, focus on food and specific information without false friendliness. We really enjoyed that!

Fantastic wine selection, experienced staff with warm personalities, marvelous food and tasteful music at just the right level. My friend and I had a great experience with the “Little Rebel” tasting menu accompanied with wine, and I would definitely recommend eating here for a great gastronomic experience at a very manageable price point.

We’ve tried the small tasting menu which was good, but not exceptional in this price range. I felt there were some really great (tartare, soup) and also some average (oysters, chicken) meals, which made the whole experience mixed. Although the wine pairing was great.

If you're looking for a delightful seafood experience in Copenhagen, look no further than Hooked Nørrebro. This charming eatery is known for its cozy atmosphere and friendly staff, making it a welcoming spot to enjoy fresh seafood dishes. With an emphasis on quality ingredients and innovative flavors, Hooked Nørrebro has quickly become a favorite among locals and visitors alike. Be sure to book your table in advance, as this popular destination tends to fill up even during the week!
Found it by accident while strolling through the neighborhood but liked it a lot! We got the 3-dish menu with an entree, main dish and dessert for 250 dkk (drink not included). For the price, the portions were quite nice and very tasty. The tostada was our favourite! The place is a bit small. They did a good job at maximizing the number of tables despite that, but the seats can feel a bit tight depending on where you get placed. I would definitely go back!

The restaurant is located on Nørrebrogade. It overlooks the tomb. It's a small shop. There are also tables outside. The food portions are very small. The American lobster roll is the size of a quarter of a piece of toast. The rings on top are burnt. There's nothing but a burnt taste. The calamari was only fried on the edges, leaving only one or two rings on the body. And the whole thing was burnt, so the calamari tasted lost. The shrimp were nice. The smoke on top paired well. The fish in the fish chips was delicious. But it's way too expensive for these products and small portions. Each plate costs an average of 20 euros. So, 20 euros per bite is definitely bad and expensive.

Loved the atmosphere very cosy place. Didn't like their hooked burger but their fries are delicious with a dip sauce. I had a truffle mayo that I enjoyed dip the fries in. I recommend the Mac and cheese croquettes. They were wonderful. Staff very kind and friendly.

Alouette is an innovative restaurant located in the Islands Brygge waterfront neighborhood of Copenhagen. The relaxed setting offers tasting menus and wine pairings that showcase the chef's expertise in creating eclectic dishes inspired by seasonal produce from local producers. The restaurant is known for its unique sauces and regularly changing menus, featuring dishes like caviar with sunflower seed fudge and intricately plated creations.
A truly outstanding culinary experience that exceeded all my expectations. The tasting menu was beautifully presented and explained, thoughtfully designed to make the most of top-quality local produce from selected farms. The menu focused on products from four different farms. The first part was vegetable-based, with flavorful vegetables and greens. The second part featured two dishes centered around monkfish, both of excellent quality and taste. The third part was centered around pork, using the product to its fullest, and the final sweet courses were the perfect ending to the meal. Each dish offered a refined and original combination of flavors, with meticulous presentation and exceptional ingredients. The wine pairing was spot on and very well explained, complementing the food perfectly. One of the highlights of the experience was the service, which was not only warm and attentive, but also presented each dish with care and professionalism

Had an incredible dining experience here the other week. We loved the setup, the team was amazing and of course the food was absolutely incredible. We were also lucky enough to sit at the chef's counter (thanks Olivia!) and see all the action unfold. We can't wait to come back to Copenhagen to eat here and experience it all again! Michelin star experience I will never forget—easily the best dining of my life. From the moment we stepped into the serene courtyard, guided in warmly by the staff, Restaurant Alouette delivered something far beyond food. Jackets taken, preferences noted (including special care for my pregnant fiancée), and we were seated for a journey that felt like stepping into a living, breathing kitchen symphony. The service was extraordinary—a hive mind of grace and timing. Staff moved with quiet precision, each person playing their role without ever feeling rehearsed or robotic. They simply flowed. We chose the non-alcoholic pairing, and I genuinely believe it’s the only way to go. Each house-made juice was crafted specifically for the course it accompanied—from a shiso-plum pairing with milk bread and bone broth, to combinations so perfectly tuned you forget wine was ever an option. Why drink something generic when the restaurant is giving you Michelin-starred creativity in a glass? Now, the food. 14 courses, each remarkable, but the main dish of braised rib and pork loin stood out as a masterclass. It was rich, balanced, and beautifully elevated by its surroundings—juices, sauces, the bread, the company, everything. You don’t eat here. You experience here. But what made the evening unforgettable was the personal touch from the team. One staff member casually asked what brought us to Copenhagen. We mentioned a martial arts camp—no big deal. But soon other staff were greeting us like legends: “Oh! You’re the martial artists!” “Wait till you meet our chef—he trains too!” Then after dinner, in the lounge for tea and treats, the chef himself emerged like an old friend, arms open, exclaiming “You’re the brown belt in jiu-jitsu?” (A detail we never even shared. The back-of-house detective work was top tier.) We laughed, chatted, shared passions—and it was clear: this staff genuinely enjoys connecting with guests. As if that weren’t enough, I later complimented another staff member for sharing cool trivia about the table design—and it turned out he was the owner. He sat with us, spoke warmly about the vision he and his wife brought to life, and left us feeling less like guests, and more like participants in something truly human. ⸻ In a city overflowing with Michelin stars, I couldn’t be more grateful this was the one we booked. It wasn’t just a meal—it was an evening we’ll treasure for a long, long time. Thank you, Alouette. We can’t wait to return.

We visited Alouette for the first time as a group of four, and it was an unforgettable evening. The entire experience was beautifully curated – from the atmosphere to the exceptional service and, of course, the food. One dish that truly stood out was the zucchini with caviar and Champagne sauce – an elegant combination that was both delicate and rich in flavor. Every course was a delight, but that one was simply unforgettable. The service was equally impressive. Our Hungarian waiter was incredibly attentive, knowledgeable, and made us feel very well taken care of throughout the evening. His friendly and professional demeanor added a lot to the overall experience. Alouette delivered on every level – we’ll definitely be coming back!

Fiskerestaurant Hooked Frederiksberg, located on Smallegade, is a delightful dining spot offering delicious and inspiring dishes made with fresh fish. The quality of the food is top-notch, ensuring that your taste buds will be thoroughly satisfied during your visit. The restaurant's charming maritime atmosphere sets the stage for a memorable seafood dining experience. Guests have praised the fresh and delectable dishes, reasonable prices, and cozy ambiance.
Nice first experience in this restaurant. I wanted to try it for a long time and finally went. We ordered snacks - croquettes and prawns. The cheese in the croquettes was good. They come in 3. The prawns (they come in 5) tasted fresh and not dry at all. And the fried part was perfectly done ! Then we took 2 poke bowls. 1 salmon and 1 tuna. The fish again was fresh and tasty and the bowls were quite consistent ! It was the perfect combination. The place is nice, in frederiksberg small everything was booked for that night. But super light and cosy. It feels like a neighbourhood / family restaurant. And the staff was lovely. I will definitely go again or try another hooked !
BRUNET E — Google review
I’ve been to hooked quite many times for the a la carte menu (and can recommend the American lobster roll). But this time I decided to try their ‘Spring Menu’, as the concept sounded quite interesting. We had a selection of various dishes, and they were all really good, especially the shrimp and the fish patty sliders. Portions were quite large and we could ask for more fries (refillable), though this was not needed. The service was really good, as we asked to sit in the booth instead of the tables, and we were granted our wish. Waitresses were attentive and the atmosphere was good.

A seafood lover's dream come true! From the moment I stepped in, the charming maritime atmosphere embraced me, setting the stage for a memorable dining experience. Wonderful experience for having seafood in a local restaurant with a very reasonable price. One surprising thing that I faced was having the vinegar powder as a seasoning on the table. Fresh, delectable dishes, superb service, and a cozy ambiance. Highly recommended! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Good fish and chips, especially for the price. Quick service. Not huge portions, but adequate size and good quality. Ate there a few times. Good value for a quick meal.

Overall an okay experience here but nothing noteworthy, unfortunately. I had the salmon burger which was good, ingredients were fresh but the coriander was barely noticable which was a bit disappointing. I tasted the other fish burger too which didn't really offer much in terms of flavour so I'm glad I went with the salmon. I'd be open to try some other things on their menu but it's not going to be my top priority to come back here.

The seafood restaurant Fiskerestaurant Hooked Carlsberg byen serves up some of the best food in town, with both traditional and modern dishes sure to satisfy even the most discerning palate. The chips are a must-try, as is the lobster roll - both of which are incredibly filling and highly recommended. The service is friendly and efficient, making for an overall great experience.
We did have to wait a bit longer than expected, but it was alright. The atmosphere is absolutely amazing, I loved the vibe! Then we got the food. We ordered the hooked fish & chips, and it was delicious. The vinegar fries weren’t really my taste, but everyone else loved it, so maybe I‘m the problem… The staff (~two people) were really nice, the only thing I didn’t like was the QR-code you had to scan to get the menu, I‘m not a fan of that.

We had been looking forward to visiting your restaurant for six months. We flew all the way from the Czech Republic because of your food. I was telling my wife how amazing your cooking is, as I often cook in Michelin-starred restaurants in Copenhagen. But I have to say, it was a huge disappointment. Your reservation system offers a booking at 8:45 PM, and when we arrived, the waiter immediately told us to order because the kitchen was closing. So we ordered tuna tacos, lobster roll, fried shrimp, and fish and chips. The first three we wanted as starters and the fish as the main course. That wasn’t possible because the kitchen was closing. So the waiter brought everything at once. The shrimp and fish and chips were completely overcooked, and when I mentioned it to the staff, they just said, “Sorry, it’s 9:00 PM, the oil is usually overused by now!” But I’m paying the same as any other guest; it shouldn’t matter what time I come! I can still taste the burnt oil in my mouth. We ordered sparkling water and wine. They didn’t have it, so we ordered something else. That wasn’t available either, so we tried a third option, which finally worked. The waiter brought the wine without water. We waited another ten minutes before I had to remind him at the bar, and he said he would bring it immediately. Another ten minutes later he came back saying they ran out of gas, so no sparkling water, and offered lemon soda with the wine instead 🙏🙏🙏 Please. This was a complete disaster!

If you're wandering through Copenhagen and looking for a delightful culinary experience, Boutique Fisk is a must-visit. Pair them with homemade remoulade for the ultimate taste sensation! The menu also features an array of fresh seafood options like oysters and mussels frites, ensuring there's something to satisfy every palate.
My favourite place to get a fiskefrikadelle (Danish fish cake). They also have the best ramoulade (with pickled cauliflower). It is also a great lunch option.

Goldfinch is a hidden gem located in Copenhagen, offering a taste of Hong Kong in the heart of the city. Tucked away in a secret back courtyard, this restaurant is part of Copenhagen's New Asian Wave, serving modern and playful Cantonese cuisine. The venue features large booths and Lazy Susans for sharing plates, creating an intimate and communal dining experience. Guests can expect flavorful dumplings, noodles, sweet and sour pork with strawberries, and glamorous cocktails.
I made a same day reservation for a late dinner and chose to sit at the bar (kitchen). We had an incredible meal and enjoyed sharing all of the different plates. Everything is perfect for sharing and the kitchen staff were very polite and informative. We got the cucumbers, salt and pepper mushrooms, pork wontons, Dan Dan noodles, char siu pork, and white rice. We ended the meal with the mango pudding and it was such a surprising experience. I really loved every bite of it. It was the perfect ending to our meal. Bright and not too sweet or heavy. I really enjoyed how all of the flavors complemented each other and each dish was nuanced and well seasoned. The toasted sesame seeds, white pepper, Szechuan pepper, etc. The chili oil was delicious and nothing was overly seasoned or spicy. My favorite thing that I had was the mushrooms. The texture and taste were such a treat. I would love to come back here if I ever found myself in Copenhagen again. 10/10 recommend. The only thing I did not like was our waitress. She kept trying to suggest things we did not want (we already knew what we wanted) or tried to dissuade me from getting the dessert I wanted because it was not enough to share. She wanted us to get the French toast but it seemed too heavy and I did not want it. The mango pudding was perfect for sharing and delicious. She also kept commenting on how I was drinking nothing because I only wanted sparkling water and not something else. Other than that I really loved this place. The rest of the staff was lovely.

After eating at a much pricier and well-known restaurant the night before, this meal was the best we had during our weekend in Copenhagen. Everything was amazing and the kitchen bar atmosphere and the professionalism of the kitchen team was noticeable. The fried aubergine were an unexpected favorite!
Megan M — Google review
The food’s a proper fusion Chinese delight-my favourite, honestly-and the drinks? Absolutely spot-on. Shame about the service, though. Last time, the waitress was an absolute gem, all warm and on it, but this time the waiter seemed a bit checked out.
Amy C — Google review
The experience was amazing ! I went solo sat at the bar the chefs were super friendly and we chitchatted throughout and waitress was great and friendly. Food started off so well the first two dishes their take on shrimp roast and especially the crispy aubergine was the star then it went down from there I had the noodles they were too vinegary (I don’t eat pork so I had it removed, this could have been spicy to balance out the food). And the dessert I hand fruity one with plums it has too much of the Chinese spices that took it away for me. I wish I had kept the momentum there. Worth trying I would go again and stick to all small dishes rather than main. I’ll also say the duck looked amazing but could not order half a duck for myself.
Nourah A — Google review
I sat at the high top overlooking the chef’s station. I really enjoyed the atmosphere and interactions with the chefs and the staff. The food was delicious, and I appreciated the slight variations on the dishes I tried, especially the (smoked?) tea dust on the black bean chicken. I was a little sad that I didn’t have more time in the city to go back and try some other dishes.

Highly recommend this restaurant! It was incredible! The menu is chinese fusion shared plates style and we ordered most of it and it was all very good. The quality of the food was high and our favorites included: the aubergine (a must get), the salads, the greens, the venison, the dan dan noodles (a must get), the halibut, and the scallops! We also got the mango dessert which was remarkable. Drink menu is also so fun! Excellent selection of tea including pu-erh. Service was great, they were super nice. Overall one of our favorite restaurants this trip!

What an awesome restaurant. Started with lovely genuine hello or welcome by the staff as we walked through the restaurant. My cocktail was outstanding and they let my wife try a couple of wine tastings until she found something she liked. The food was sooo tasty. All dishes were fantastic but the aubergine was next level. Ignore the fact it says fish sauce as it isnt and doesn't taste like that. Combo of sweet and spicy was Devine. Is a little on the pricey side but worth it in my view for a superb evening.
Phil E — Google review
I’m baffled how this restaurant has so many amazing reviews. Overall, the food was overly salty and/or too much vinegar with very little flavor. We ordered several dishes and only the single order oysters and the salad were good. The black bean chicken and the wontons were fine but the fried rice, dan dan noodles, the cucumbers and the bao were bad. My friend ordered a cocktail and didn’t like her drink either. This restaurant is insanely overhyped and overpriced. I can get better Chinese take out in most major cities for a fraction of the price. Paying nearly $300 for this tasteless meal honestly felt like I was being swindled. The restaurant was mostly empty and didn’t have a good atmosphere for dinner on a Sunday night. I should have known by the emptiness of this restaurant. The service was fine but not great. Save yourself a lot of money and time and go somewhere else. There are plenty of great restaurants in Copenhagen and this is certainly not one of them.

Silberbauers Bistro, located in Copenhagen, is a cozy French bistro created by Danish chef Mathias Silberbauer. Inspired by his time in Nice, the restaurant offers traditional Nicoise dishes and local seafood. The menu changes constantly based on the fresh ingredients obtained from fishmongers each day. The dining experience is casual and rustic, with a focus on classic bistro cuisine from the South of France. The stripped-down restaurant emphasizes simplicity, where only the ingredients and taste matter.
We had a Sunday lunch here, it was great. French bistro food, very generous portions, tastes perfect, great atmosphere and extremely helpful and cheerful staff. Excellent service, above average for Copenhagen. It is not cheap, but it is worth every crown. Will definitely return!

Fantastic ambience and we had a wonderful night there. Amazing food, desserts, fair price and lovely staff. To add on,the interior design is very neat and beautiful:) thanks J for recommending me this place

The initiated are aware that Copenhagen offers a wide variety of French restaurants: From soulless tourist traps to themed venues that drown you in images of Eiffel towers, baguettes and mustached-beret-wearing mannequins. Then there are the upper-class-upper-price range-mediocre-produce places that look like the place to be, but rarely keep what their polished looks promise. Silberbauer is the opposite of that. Discreet and understated on the outside, full of life and buzz on the inside. Though they fall in the same category as most other restaurants - namely that the starters outshine the mains - all dishes that I tried were the best I’ve had all year. However, the undisputed star was the seared/grilled(?) bone marrow with bread (see photos). The taste was so rich, it actually made the main dish (gnocchi ragout) pale in comparison in terms of flavour. Pro tip: Order it as a pre-desert after the main! My only regret I have from my visit is, that I didn’t order more of them. Four stars on the vibe because it was lunch and I’d imagine dinner time is more lively.

Restaurant Koan, which opened in 2020 as a pop-up by Chef Kristian Baumann, has now found a permanent home in the old Relae. Combining Nordic cuisine with his Korean heritage, Baumann presents visually stunning dishes such as langoustine wrapped in nori with rhubarb and caviar. The menu also features unique items like braided milk doughnuts and mandu dumplings stuffed with fjord shrimp and Korean chili sauce.
Interesting dinner! Best thing about the evening was the menu progression. It was planned in a genius way and it totally makes sense once you completed it. At the start, the snacks were good and fresh, but didn't have a wow factor. Then we received the oyster and it was quite nice, maybe a slightly wow factor. At this stage i was worries, is this place all bells and whistles and they forgot the flavours? I was wrong, because from there every dish just kept getting better. The caviar ball was possibly on the top 2 best things i've ever eaten, EVER. The bread was amazing, the main courses were to die for. I was a little hungry by the time the main course arrived. But then it was this very comforting big bowl of rice with all this delicious bits and pieces in it. It was trully fantastic. Desserts were 10/10, there is caviar in the dessert, matched with a beautiful Souffle! WHATS NOT TO LOVE ABOUT THAT! What a treat. I think about this meal everyday and can't wait to be back!

Dining at Koan was an unforgettable experience from start to finish. We enjoyed the full tasting menu and savoured every bite. Each dish was beautifully crafted, balancing Korean roots with Nordic ingredients in a way that felt both deeply personal and incredibly refined. The sommelier’s wine recommendations perfectly complemented each course, and the evening service was flawless, attentive, warm, and thoughtful without ever feeling intrusive. The attention to detail extended far beyond the food: even the coffee, brewed with April beans and weighed with precision, reflected the team’s steadfast dedication to craft at every level. Koan is not just a meal but a carefully orchestrated journey that reflects Chef Kristian Baumann’s story and vision. It is an absolute must for anyone seeking one of Copenhagen’s finest and most memorable dining experiences.

My wife and I have dined at numerous high-end Michelin-starred restaurants, but I can confidently say that this experience stands out as the best thus far. Chef Christian skillfully combines Korean and Danish cuisine, drawing from his extensive culinary journey. Each dish was prepared with the utmost care and presented at an exceptional level. The staff were all friendly and professional. (Please tell me if i should delete the menu photo if you want to keep it as a surprise for your guests) Thank you for the exquisite experience. If you find yourself in Copenhagen, this restaurant is an absolute must-visit; do not think twice.

Certainly some amazing dishes and some just okay and you may leave still a bit hungry if you have a large appetite. Service very coordinated and nice that the chef visited every table to greet and make you feel welcome. As other reviewers have said they seem keen on selling expensive champagne so may be more of a spot to show off considering the price.

Impeccable meal ! Really gorgeous & delicious dishes, amazing wine list, friendly staffs! Combining Korean and Danish cuisines 👍🏻 Truly one of the best meals we had during our Europe trip. Must try in CPH!
Agnes S — Google review
Probably a meal on our personal top 3 ever in Copenhagen! The last time we had a meal with balanced, fantastic flavours, exciting new aromatic combinations and a wine pairing that blew us away was at Geranium. This restaurant outperforms many Michelin stars restaurants we have been to!
Jens C — Google review
It's a wonderful experience. Korean based 2-star Michelin restaurant. Some of the tables (near the entrance) have a great view of the open kitchen, allowing to witness the preparation of the dishes and the immaculate choreography of kitchen and service staff. Service is very friendly and attentive. The chef is very present, keeping a very attentive look to customers for the best experience, very customer-centric. The dishes are immensely creative, with many intricate details, textures and flavours. We accompanied the meal with a Sool mixed pairing, alternating Sool and non-alcoholic beverages. Probably the best option as we felt a purely Sool pairing would be too heavy. Wine, Prestige wine and Champagne pairings are also available. Judging from what the neighbouring tables received, they seemed like good options too. We felt that Sool was more fitting to the occasion though. Overall a very positive experience, only slightly disturbed by a noisy table, but admittedly not something the restaurant can do much about.

Osteria 16 Pesce is a small seafood restaurant in Copenhagen that offers fresh and simple seafood at reasonable prices. With a seating capacity of 40, the restaurant imports tasteful ingredients from Italy to create stunning plates of food. The menu includes a tasting menu with six antipasti and two pasta dishes, all featuring fish. Despite some delays in service, the quality of the produce and the friendly staff make it a recommended dining spot for those looking for delicious seafood in a cozy setting.
What a great night. The service is really great from the moment we stepped in to us leaving much later as we both sat inside for food and outside for drinks - the service was really great. The food is good, only disappointment was the pasta, I would have liked some more flavour. One of my friends don’t eat fish (my mistake) but they made sure he had great food as well. Will be back.

Really good food, and a nice staff. The food did however arrive quite late, especially considering we had already notified the staff that we had to be somewhere else at a certain time, and they had said it was no problem. But despite that, the food was really good, and for everything else the staff was really helpful and nice. I would recommend this restaurant to others, and I am really happy that I tried it.

Absolute gorgeous food and very friendly staff. Ended up eating here as we passed by and get totally surprised by the set 8 dishes (fish) followed by the last tiramisu of the night... All of that on the eve of my birthday!

Simple yet great tasting food. Pasta was OK, the other dishes were more of an experience 🌟
Niclas J — Google review
Food was some of the best I’ve ever eaten hands down. But I won’t put the place down to much but, it’s a set menu as we arrived for our 6:30 booking our food came out as normal same as everyone else that was here. When others came later and got the same plates, there was extra things on their plates as if the chefs forgot to put them on the dishes earlier in the night. Thats the only negative I could give them.
Liam M — Google review
Our kind of food. Recognisable ingrédients brought together with lots of taste. Simple but efficient. Nice wine list and great service. Small restaurant, so in the back you are next to the open kitchen with it's cold white light and some odours in the clothes. But again, these are only small remarks... Food and service TOP. Do not hesitate!

The menu features a variety of small plates that combine Nordic and non-Nordic influences, showcasing the chef's experimental approach to cuisine. Guests praise the outstanding service and friendly staff, as well as the upscale ambiance.
Very nice experience! Outstanding service, food above average and a very nice wine selection and great but expensive drinks. Went here for lunch and had 4.5 courses, all of them something special and fulfilling. The interior looks nice and you can watch the chefs creating your food. Would go here again if I had the money, lol

This was my favorite meal in Copenhagen, which is saying a lot because the city has epic food and amazing restaurants. The food here is so delicious, and you see the art behind making the food because of the beautiful open kitchen that is so clean and well organized. It is not only amenable watching a performance. The staff is super friendly and professional. The ambience is upscale and sophisticated, and the restaurant is very fresh produce and ingredients. I had the avocado and caviar dish, which looked like a masterpiece and melts in your mouth. I also had the seared salmon dish, which was perfectly seasoned, and the crispy skin was delicious. It was served with the her risk of red sauce that was very yummy. The restaurant also brings you there freshly made bread and fresh butter. I highly recommend this restaurant. Make reservations in advance!
Lenore C — Google review
Geist is an interesting restaurant in the middle of Copenhagen - seen from the outside it doesn’t look much, but from the inside it’s pretty impressive. The service is young, unpretentious and knowledgeable about both the food and wine. On the downside both my wife and I agreed that the dishes we had at our visit looked prettier that they tasted and if you are really hungry after touring Copenhagen you’ll need at least three to four dishes. Been there, tried it but will probably not come back.
Morten O — Google review
Geist has a great atmosphere, service and food. I would definitely recommend going there. It is also a good pick for groups. I would've given 5 starts if the lobster tartar had not been so bad. It is one of the most shared dishes they serve, but it looks much better than it tastes.
Daniel M — Google review
The food was really delicious, but it took over 3 hours for it all to be served. I would recommend, but tell your waiter that you like the dishes to come out one after the other, rather than waiting 30 mins between courses. Make sure you finish with the bread and ice cream pudding
Hannah B — Google review
Had lunch here, I can’t recall if I booked ahead or not. But I’ve always walk past it a couple of times. I follow chef Bobech on Instagram and it would be nice to try his food for once. I’m glad I came over for a visit. Ordered a few dishes with recommendations from the server and I left satisfied. Highly recommended!

Excellent dinner - not cheap - small plates of interesting combinations and tastes. Very fresh and exciting. The decor and atmosphere isn’t as buzzy as some but that may be an advantage. But the food and service was impeccable.

Nice trendy place but price of drinks incredibly high, be careful on a bar where you do not ask price but just order some drinks... and portions of food are very small but ))) what do you think? Yes, too expensive for what you get. Finally, the price per person there the same as in a perfect Belgium restaurant ...

Imagine celebrating your special day in an enchanting greenhouse surrounded by lush greenery, or enjoying an intimate reception at their exclusive restaurant. On Saturdays, couples can even share their first dance amidst the magical backdrop of Tivoli's fireworks. Located conveniently near Copenhagen City Hall, it’s an ideal spot for those planning a quick civil ceremony followed by a charming gathering.
Can’t praise this restaurant enough. A little gem in the busy Tivoli amusement park. It looks out of place, but if you want a quiet lunch in a nice environment, this IS the place! This vegetarian restaurant is so beautiful, full of plants and pumpkins 🎃 The service we received was superb. The waiter was attentive and always showed up at the right time. Food was amazing. Everything we ordered was delicious. I loved it!
Albert T — Google review
Really nice experience at Gemyse - that is located in the Tivoli Gardens, Copenhagen. 7 course-menu, including drinks. Vegetarian/vegan only. The restaurant is really cute and they were in the Michelin Guide in 2020. I don’t like corn that much, but my favorite dish was made 90% of corn! I strong recommend it!
Kátia C — Google review
Enchanting atmosphere with reasonably priced, seasonal dishes. The wait staff is lovely and works very together well as a team. Staff recommended three starters and a light option or two as a meal for two people. This was a good quantity and allowed you to try multiple things. It was hard to go wrong!
Alix R — Google review
Very intricate and unique dishes. The portions seem small but are filling. Favorite dish was the fried bread with sofritas, but everything taste great and looked great! I do think the prices are a little too high for the dishes as they do taste good, but are not breathtaking...
Sener G — Google review
Overall, this is a beautiful restaurant located in a really pretty name hotel with interval the park. It’s a kitschy place, and the price is rather high, but it’s a fun place to go especially when there’s outdoor concert happening on Friday evenings in the summer and Tivoli Gardens. The food here is pretty good and I had the tasting menu that included multiple courses. It is a lot of food and I was unable to finish it, but every course was delicious. The steak was absolutely cooked to perfection. The best part about this is the ambience and the outdoor seating area where you could see the stage and the performance.
Lenore C — Google review
Very nice and cozy place. They have small bonfires outside, for making snobrød and pancakes and a beautiful garden with vegetables. The restaurant was also nice and cozy, and you can get a completely vegetarian 6 courses meal, that tasted delicious. It is expensive, but not that much if compared to other restaurants in Tivoli. Might even be cheaper than some of them.
Carolina P — Google review
Delightful dining experience with very good staff, and very high quality food. I would recommend the mushroom dish and the lobster, and the bread (when fresh) made with Kimchi liquid is also excellent. The Gemyse salad is fresh and crisp, but rather small and the fish was perfectly cooked. My only gripe is that the cauliflower had too much sauce.

The restaurant's open kitchen adds to its cozy atmosphere, while the friendly staff ensure a pleasant dining experience.
Great place. Excellent food. The prices are a bit high, but the quality of the food is also very high. Oysters were excellent. I am usually disappointed with wine, but not here. The wine was well suited for the dishes. Excellent service and very friendly atmosphere. It is perfect for a weekend retreat with friends.
Vi M — Google review
I'm not going back. Not because the food tastes bad, but because it doesn't taste good. The only excuse for not having food that makes an impact on the costumers is if the price point is reasonable. This place is expensive and, at the same time, serves mediocre taste sea food. Also, the wine menu is way too expensive. Even fancier places like Nærvær Vinbar have cheaper wine options.
Daniel M — Google review
A bib gourmands 2018. Mussels is delicious. Portion for 1 is actually good for 2. Local oyster also good. Lots of meat not too salty. Plaice is so fresh and well cook, but need more seaweed and teriyaki sauce. Scallop is quite disappointing with portion size and price. Denmark ribeye is cooked to perfection, but the gravy is too salty for me.
Dej D — Google review
We had a great experience at Musling. We tried the scallops, the cod, the new potatoes, the cerviche. The waiters were super friendly and all the food was delicious. We were surprised to find the restaurant with an open kitchen 9.30 PM as we had been looking different places in the area with no luck.

Absolute top notch bottleshop. Run by professionals, these folks make excellent use of the small footprint that their shop has. World class bottle selection, phenominal sours. They even had two from my old friend Tommie Sjef from the NL. Can't wait to try the sours from Wells (UK). Was pleased as all get out to land a few bottles from The Kernel (UK). Had one of The Kernel's Double India Porter on tap at Fermentoren a few nights earlier and was giddy to bring one home with me (among a few others pictured). My thanks to Noel for the hospitality and the chance to beer geek out.

We like the lemonade with 3 different flavors, 1 is rasberry lemonade, 1 is lime lemonade, and the third is citrus lemonade if I did not remember them wrong. Each cost about 29kr. This store also sell many different kinds of beer. If you have come to eat at Torvehallerne and are looking for drinks without caffeine or alcohol, you should stop by here and try the lemonade.

Restaurant Alf in Copenhagen is a charming spot that draws inspiration from the best Parisian neo-bistros, blending French neo-bistro cuisine with local ingredients. The menu, curated by Chef Malte Sorensen, who previously worked at Septime in Paris, changes daily. The restaurant offers an easy-going vibe and a lively atmosphere along with an interesting wine list. Upon arrival, guests are warmly welcomed by the attentive sommelier who ensures a delightful wine experience.
Found this place on Instagram and happy we went. The food was very tasty and unique, however dishes quite small. The waitress suggested sharing dishes, but I think it's not quite a sharing restaurant (I would suggest each person grab a couple to try). Some dishes like the anchovies could have used a side of bread (they were so salty alone, there was nothing to balance it out). The sorbet dessert was pretty bland as well (just ice cream with whipped cream), but the other dishes were pretty decent (like the fish main and the creamy potatoes with chicken). We were seated in the back near the toilet there were only two tables there, and the seats high bar seats and it was pretty uncomfortable, upon leaving we noticed how lively the front was (we made reservations prior and we arrived the restaurant was empty so perhaps you have to make a note to ask to sit in front).

I took my parents visiting from Mexico on a Tuesday summer evening and we had a wonderful experience! I definitely recommend ordering as many dishes you can from the menu as most of the sizes are ok to share, the menu changes with the seasons whoever I wouldn’t miss the Oysters with kiwi, scallops with strawberries and tomatoes, herring, the peas with pistachio cream and trust me, DO NOT share the Brun sviger, order an individual one for each party member or risk getting into a heated spoon fight. The service was excellent and had a very laid back vibe that made you feel like you are dinning amongst friends. I definitely recommend this place and I will go back!
Luis G — Google review
We came from Sweden, 5 guys, and ate 4 dishes each. The food alone was about €100 per person, and we were all kinda starving when leaving. We're now cooking food for each other. Apart from that, it was delicious and the service was great. Of you're going, be prepared to eat afterwards.

Fantastic new place in Copenhagen. Went out for dinner with 4 of us, everything makes sense good wine prices, extremely well prepared food and great atmosphere. I will for sure come back here many times! Recommend to everyone.
Mikkel W — Google review
Our dinner at Alf in Copenhagen was easily one of the highlights of our trip. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere felt warm and inviting, and we were lucky to have Jeppe as our server and sommelier. He really set the tone for the evening. He recommended that we try as much of the menu as possible to experience the full range of flavors — and we took that advice seriously. We ended up ordering almost the entire menu, skipping just a few appetizers, and I’m so glad we did. One dish that stood out right away was the oysters with kiwi kosho — bright, refreshing, and unlike anything I’ve tasted before. What really elevated the experience, though, were the wine pairings. Jeppe curated them beautifully, and although there were several great wines throughout the night (I wish I could remember them all), two in particular stood out. The 2023 Solaris & Muscaris ‘Utopia’ from Drudgaard in Fyn, Denmark was a total surprise. I didn’t even know Denmark made wine, let alone something this vibrant and fresh. Then there was the 2021 Pinot Noir ‘Vater & Sohn’ from Viticulteur Jaillet in Germany — smooth, balanced, and a perfect match for the food. I wasn’t expecting a German Pinot Noir to leave such an impression, but it did. At first glance, Alf’s menu seems minimalistic and clean, but the flavor combinations are bold, unexpected, and incredibly thoughtful. Every dish was enjoyable, but a few really stood out for me. The putarelle with pistachio and black cardamom had a depth and aroma that stuck with me. The goat’s cheese with green asparagus, oregano, and pine nuts was fresh, earthy, and comforting. I also loved the steamed saithe in sorrel with jalapeño and lime soured cream — light but with a zesty kick — and the squid with celeriac and ventreche had great texture, rich umami notes, and a slight charred BBQ flavor — I almost ordered a second. From the mains, the wolf fish with Castelfranco, orange, and chili was one of my favorites — light, fresh, and well balanced The grilled sweetbread with potato mash was rich and indulgent in the best way, super satisfying without being too heavy. And then when it came to dessert, we ordered one of each on the menu. Every dessert had something interesting to offer, but the Brunsviger with tonka bean ice cream easily stood out. It was warm, nostalgic, and just sweet enough — and the tonka bean ice cream gave it a unique twist. It was so good that we ended up ordering a second one right away. Massive thanks to Jeppe and the entire team at Alf for creating such a memorable experience. This dinner wasn’t just a meal — it felt like a little journey. We’ll definitely be back, and next time, we’re starting with the Brunsviger.
B P — Google review
We arrived a bit sceptical — but left completely impressed. The ambience at Alf is informal and relaxing, and it feels natural to share dishes and enjoy the evening at an easy pace. The concept is unique — small, refined dishes that are not tapas, but beautifully portioned to let you explore a wide range of flavours. Each plate is both aesthetically stunning and gastronomically delightful — every detail clearly well thought out. We tried two dishes from each category, and every one impressed us. The wines were equally thoughtful and paired perfectly with the food. Alf truly surprised us in the best possible way. We’ll definitely be back!
Svetlana V — Google review
The place was cozy and the wine was good. The service was pleasant and we loved the oysters. The rest, we'll, was debatable. The buterbeans were not good, endive I liked but my friend refused, the greens peas I didn't enjoy while my friend approved of. We also tried both asparagus and we're not impressed. Not sure exactly what the hype is about.
