Dim sum restaurant
Asian fusion restaurant
Chinese restaurant
Restaurant
Hidden Dimsum is a charming family-owned eatery nestled in the heart of Copenhagen, dedicated to serving authentic, handmade dim sum. This delightful restaurant stands out for its commitment to using fresh, high-quality ingredients that result in dishes crafted with meticulous care. Whether you choose to dine in or take away, Hidden Dimsum offers an extensive menu filled with delectable options and a selection of Asian cocktails and beers that perfectly complement your meal.
A hidden gem in Copenhagen, we saw this place by passing by one day and decided to come here. The dumplings were really good, we ordered the tasting menu, which is the best option, because you get to try different dishes. We also tried the bier from here and its also good. Very recommended place. I would suggest to reserve a table before coming here. The staff was also very nice and friendly, they also offered recommendations on what to eat and were very attentive.
Karla M — Google review
Hidden Dim Sum truly lives up to its name — a tucked-away spot that feels like a little escape right in the city. The moment we walked in, the warm glow of the lanterns and the beautifully decorated interior set the perfect atmosphere. The service was excellent: friendly, attentive, and happy to explain the different dishes, which made the whole experience even better. The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. We tried a variety of dishes, but the absolute highlight for me was the dumplings — perfectly made with delicate wrappers and rich, delicious fillings. Every bite was a reminder of why dim sum is so comforting and satisfying. This is a place where both the food and the ambiance shine equally. Whether you’re after a casual meal with friends or a cozy dinner out, Hidden Dim Sum is a must-visit in Copenhagen.
Mikaeel S — Google review
We have found this restaurant while walking around and wanted to try the food as we love dimsum. We started with spicy tomato soup, followed by a pork-veggie dimsum, crispy fried sesame shrimps dimsum and, crispy duck. We had restaurant's own beer. Everything we tasted were super delicious. Beer's flavor was very good. Service was speedy and servers were very attentive. If you happen to be in central CPH we would definitely recommend this nice restaurant.
Erdem G — Google review
Super nice hidden GEM. I would recommend the 9 course tasting menu, very tasty, lots of food. The food was not only delicious but also pretty in presentation. You can see The chefs put effort in it. Service was very friendly. All in all, a must if you are in the neighbourhood!
Donata P — Google review
The vibe is perfect. They thought this place through. The food… flavors were incredible! Not a dish we didn’t think “damn this is good!” And the service, such kind staff! Helpful and nice, with very welcoming energy. It’s not the first time we’ve been here and certainly not the last! Oh their IPA goes great with the food!
Brian C — Google review
Nice dimsum and friendly staff. Dim sum is really good. However it’s very very pricey even for Copenhagen. You also cannot pay by card. Sitting is quite uncomfortable and upon paying you immediately get asked to leave a review. Seems a bit shady.
Philipp — Google review
visting a friend in copenhagen and we came here on her recommendation. had to wait 15 mins for a table but it was worth it. food was absolutely amazing! 2-3 plates is more than enough as the portions are very good. staff were super friendly and welcoming. i have a milk allergy and they were very accommodating. would definitely recommend visiting when in copenhagen.

Nice hidden gem in Copenhagen, quite popular with locals. Nice dumplings and cozy interior. Only thing is they only take cash, so be aware before you go there.

Dumpling restaurant
Asian restaurant
Gao Dumpling Bar is a popular takeout spot with two locations in Copenhagen. They offer five different types of dumplings, including Hong Kong pork and spicy pork, all reasonably priced. The street where the bar is located has a vibrant atmosphere with various eateries and bars, making it a great place to hang out. While the service may not be flawless, the staff are friendly and accommodating.
Delicious dumplings and nice outdoor benches with umbrellas to keep out of the rain. The cold dishes were a nice contrast to the warm dumplings, and the ones with Szechwan peppercorn spiced sauce was my favorite for sure.
Natalie K — Google review
This local has such a cool vibe! I loved the interior! The dumplings were very yummy and quickly served. The local also has vegetarian options. However, the menu is quite small. Also, I needed at least 3 portions (=18 dumplings) to get full, as even two portions were still too small for me.
Ariqa — Google review
We went to this highly rated dumpling place and got surprised when we saw someone in the kitchen taking a dumpling bag from the freezer. The portions are also quite small, we got 2 portions per person and we were still starving after it. However, the terrace is cozy, the service is nice and efficient and the location is amazing. The dumpling scene is not too busy in Copenhagen so if you’re craving for dumplings and are not too too hungry it might be a good place to visit.
Pierre N — Google review
One of the very few places in this city that serve good Asian food at a reasonable price. We usually pay under 600kr for two, which feels like a rare win in Copenhagen. I absolutely love their peanut noodles and dumplings, really tasty and consistent. That said, I wish the atmosphere matched the quality of the food. There are three old, sticky tables outside that you end up sharing with strangers, and the indoor seating is in a half-basement with no air circulation. Definitely not cosy, just functional.. The staff aren’t particularly friendly, but that also feels like part of the general Copenhagen dining experience at this point. Come for the food, not the service or the vibe.
Jana P — Google review
Food 10/10. Relaxed atmosphere, affordable. Friendly welcoming staff. Will be returning very soon! Thank you @Gao
Edward B — Google review
Pefect little spot for some tasty dumplings. Good selection to choose from and coming in at very reasonable prices.
Fredric S — Google review
Great dumplings but took forever to make and the ambient sucks
Mr D — Google review
Average. Not very satisfied with the quality, very plain flavors and some of them extremely spicy which made them difficult to enjoy. Also a bit overpriced. Nice people working there but the dumplings need further improvement.

Chinese restaurant
Cantonese restaurant
Food court
Goldfinch is a hidden gem located in Copenhagen, offering a taste of Hong Kong in the heart of the city. Tucked away in a secret back courtyard, this restaurant is part of Copenhagen's New Asian Wave, serving modern and playful Cantonese cuisine. The venue features large booths and Lazy Susans for sharing plates, creating an intimate and communal dining experience. Guests can expect flavorful dumplings, noodles, sweet and sour pork with strawberries, and glamorous cocktails.
I made a same day reservation for a late dinner and chose to sit at the bar (kitchen). We had an incredible meal and enjoyed sharing all of the different plates. Everything is perfect for sharing and the kitchen staff were very polite and informative. We got the cucumbers, salt and pepper mushrooms, pork wontons, Dan Dan noodles, char siu pork, and white rice. We ended the meal with the mango pudding and it was such a surprising experience. I really loved every bite of it. It was the perfect ending to our meal. Bright and not too sweet or heavy. I really enjoyed how all of the flavors complemented each other and each dish was nuanced and well seasoned. The toasted sesame seeds, white pepper, Szechuan pepper, etc. The chili oil was delicious and nothing was overly seasoned or spicy. My favorite thing that I had was the mushrooms. The texture and taste were such a treat. I would love to come back here if I ever found myself in Copenhagen again. 10/10 recommend. The only thing I did not like was our waitress. She kept trying to suggest things we did not want (we already knew what we wanted) or tried to dissuade me from getting the dessert I wanted because it was not enough to share. She wanted us to get the French toast but it seemed too heavy and I did not want it. The mango pudding was perfect for sharing and delicious. She also kept commenting on how I was drinking nothing because I only wanted sparkling water and not something else. Other than that I really loved this place. The rest of the staff was lovely.
Maryen T — Google review
After eating at a much pricier and well-known restaurant the night before, this meal was the best we had during our weekend in Copenhagen. Everything was amazing and the kitchen bar atmosphere and the professionalism of the kitchen team was noticeable. The fried aubergine were an unexpected favorite!
Megan M — Google review
The food’s a proper fusion Chinese delight-my favourite, honestly-and the drinks? Absolutely spot-on. Shame about the service, though. Last time, the waitress was an absolute gem, all warm and on it, but this time the waiter seemed a bit checked out.
Amy C — Google review
The experience was amazing ! I went solo sat at the bar the chefs were super friendly and we chitchatted throughout and waitress was great and friendly. Food started off so well the first two dishes their take on shrimp roast and especially the crispy aubergine was the star then it went down from there I had the noodles they were too vinegary (I don’t eat pork so I had it removed, this could have been spicy to balance out the food). And the dessert I hand fruity one with plums it has too much of the Chinese spices that took it away for me. I wish I had kept the momentum there. Worth trying I would go again and stick to all small dishes rather than main. I’ll also say the duck looked amazing but could not order half a duck for myself.
Nourah A — Google review
I sat at the high top overlooking the chef’s station. I really enjoyed the atmosphere and interactions with the chefs and the staff. The food was delicious, and I appreciated the slight variations on the dishes I tried, especially the (smoked?) tea dust on the black bean chicken. I was a little sad that I didn’t have more time in the city to go back and try some other dishes.
Jordan R — Google review
Highly recommend this restaurant! It was incredible! The menu is chinese fusion shared plates style and we ordered most of it and it was all very good. The quality of the food was high and our favorites included: the aubergine (a must get), the salads, the greens, the venison, the dan dan noodles (a must get), the halibut, and the scallops! We also got the mango dessert which was remarkable. Drink menu is also so fun! Excellent selection of tea including pu-erh. Service was great, they were super nice. Overall one of our favorite restaurants this trip!
Avery M — Google review
What an awesome restaurant. Started with lovely genuine hello or welcome by the staff as we walked through the restaurant. My cocktail was outstanding and they let my wife try a couple of wine tastings until she found something she liked. The food was sooo tasty. All dishes were fantastic but the aubergine was next level. Ignore the fact it says fish sauce as it isnt and doesn't taste like that. Combo of sweet and spicy was Devine. Is a little on the pricey side but worth it in my view for a superb evening.
Phil E — Google review
I’m baffled how this restaurant has so many amazing reviews. Overall, the food was overly salty and/or too much vinegar with very little flavor. We ordered several dishes and only the single order oysters and the salad were good. The black bean chicken and the wontons were fine but the fried rice, dan dan noodles, the cucumbers and the bao were bad. My friend ordered a cocktail and didn’t like her drink either. This restaurant is insanely overhyped and overpriced. I can get better Chinese take out in most major cities for a fraction of the price. Paying nearly $300 for this tasteless meal honestly felt like I was being swindled. The restaurant was mostly empty and didn’t have a good atmosphere for dinner on a Sunday night. I should have known by the emptiness of this restaurant. The service was fine but not great. Save yourself a lot of money and time and go somewhere else. There are plenty of great restaurants in Copenhagen and this is certainly not one of them.

Restaurant
Gasoline Grill is a unique burger joint located at a petrol station, offering an unexpected twist on the drive-in experience. Known for serving some of the world's best burgers, it offers reasonably priced combos that include a burger, fries, and a carbonated or alcoholic drink. The famous cheeseburger is made with fresh ground organic beef and served in a potato bun with cheddar, raw onion, pickles, and their signature mayo sauce.
You need to come to the original location of Gasoline Grill in Copenhagen to instantly understand where their name comes from. They serve burgers in the former shop of a downtown gas station near Nyhavn and Kongens Nytorv. Interestingly, the place is still a functioning gas station to this day. You can fill up your car, or charge it, while waiting for your burger. The gas station is fully automatic though, no need for a cashier. That’s how the famous gas station burger occupied the former shop area and is serving probably the best burger in Copenhagen. There is a limited menu in Gasoline Grill, but I think that’s just how a great street food burger place should operate. We tasted the two most iconic ones, original burger and cheeseburger, and prefer the latter.
Balázs S — Google review
A solid North American–style burger in a fun Copenhagen setting I had been looking forward to trying this place after seeing a video on YouTube. I love the whole concept behind the Gas Station burger joint — a stylish nod to North American burger culture — and they definitely nail the vibe. As a North American myself, surrounded by some of the best burgers in the world back home, it’s always a fun experience to try the European take on a “classic” burger. But I’ll be honest: most of the time, it ends up feeling like a much more expensive version of a budget comfort food I already have access to regularly. That said — this one was a standout. If you’ve never had a proper North American–style burger and you’re in Copenhagen, this is a fantastic place to start. I had a soft, fresh buttered brioche bun, sharp orange cheddar, a classic burger sauce (think Big Mac style), sweet pickles, and a perfectly grilled, pink, juicy patty. Super well-balanced and satisfying. Final thoughts: Is it a revelation for someone from the U.S. or Canada? Probably not. But it’s a damn good version of a familiar classic, done with care and quality ingredients. If you’re craving a legit burger in Copenhagen, this place will definitely hit the spot.
Eric H — Google review
Best burgers in Copenhagen is an understatement. The line at this one was quite long but service was quick and efficient. Some seating outside. Butter burger was really good, as was the cheeseburger and vinegar fries. Lemonade not amazing but refreshing. Price quite high but worth it.
Yasir — Google review
Good quality burgers, but nothing that really stands out – there are plenty of places serving equal or even better burgers. That said, the atmosphere is cool and unique, as the food is prepared in an old gas station that’s still in operation (gasoline, diesel, and electric). The setting definitely adds some charm. We waited around 10 minutes for our food, which was reasonable. Worth a visit if you’re nearby, especially for the experience.
Björn A — Google review
After really enjoying our first visit to another branch, we decided to try the original Gasoline Grill. This one is located in an actual gas station with outdoor seating, which adds to the charm. Since we weren’t too hungry, we shared one Butterburger. Honestly, we preferred the cheeseburger we had at the other branch, but this one was still very tasty. The patty was cooked a bit more than we usually like, but it wasn’t dry at all. Definitely a spot worth trying.
Oğuzhan G — Google review
Definitely worth the 30-minute wait for a simple yet outstanding burger. The juicy, flavorful meat really stood out. Seating is limited, but there’s something fun about grabbing a burger from a gas station and eating it on the spot. A must-try when in Copenhagen!
Batuhan A — Google review
Their hamburgers are very delicious, made with high-quality meat. The fries are also very tasty, and the drinks are good too. It's no surprise it sells so well. In the evenings, there's a very long line of people, and you have to wait for an hour, but it's delicious and worth the wait. The restaurant only has one or two tables for dining in.
Prayuth P — Google review
We had to try the burger after hearing The New York Times call it the best in the world—and it totally lived up to the hype. We got both the hamburger and the cheeseburger. Super simple, but that’s what made the amazing beef and perfect grill flavor stand out even more.

Magasasa is a popular restaurant in Copenhagen known for its extensive menu of traditional regional Chinese and pan-Asian dishes. With four different locations, it offers a variety of dining experiences, including classic Chinese dishes and fusion food with a focus on cocktails. The restaurant is praised for its delicious and affordable Chinese cuisine, making it a go-to spot for budget-friendly semi-authentic meals. Located near Copenhagen Central Station, Magasasa is highly recommended by locals for its authentic flavors and excellent service.
We had a great experience! The waitress was very friendly and welcoming. The fried noodles with beef were my favorite—perfectly cooked and full of flavor. We also tried the slow-cooked braised pork, which was tender. Highly recommend giving this place a try!
Brian W — Google review
Enjoyed it! Service was fast and food was good quality. Probably expected more vegetables in the vegetarian stir fry rice noodles but it was still tasty. Highly recommend wontons and the kang kong stir fry greens. Would recommend for quick eat or Asian fix
Vivian W — Google review
the beef was too salty other was great. About the atmosphere, I’m a little disappointed that the bgm was pop songs instead of Chinese songs. I ordered 2 dishes which was a lot of volume. It’s enough for solo to just order one dish.
Yuki R — Google review
The roasted duck is surprisingly good I must say. I like the Chongqing tan-tan mian and the wanton soup ( although they gave a fancier name to it ). Service is cheerful and prompt. The only setback was the dining seatings - felt a bit haphazard. And the crowds was annoying. This silly pax was talking loudly on the phone half the time although it’s not the resto’s fault.
Lee M — Google review
Stopped by before rushing to the station. The waitress was very friendly and fast. Only ordered one dish for takeaway: Chongqing Dandan Noodles. Great taste and texture, slightly numb-spicy as you know it from Sichuan. Highly recommended!

Nestled in the vibrant Vesterbro district, Jah Izakaya & Sake Bar is a delightful Japanese eatery that brings the essence of izakaya dining to Copenhagen. This informal gastropub offers an enticing selection of traditional and seasonal small plates, perfect for sharing among friends. The menu showcases a blend of classic Japanese comfort foods and innovative dishes crafted from locally sourced ingredients, including organic produce and sustainably caught seafood.
Great food, fresh, tasty, filling. The best value for money experience so far in Copenhagen! Would recommend for a friendly hangout as the atmosphere is vibrant, warm and cozy.

If you are into Japanese food and Sake, then this is a really good option for a good restaurant. Present and polite service, with a detailed description of the food and Sake. The restaurant is located very centrally in Copenhagen, about 5 minutes walk from the main station. The food was super tasty, and each new dish provided special taste experiences. We tried a menu with 10 different small dishes, served with 3 different types of Sake, and we were all very full and satisfied with both the food and the restaurant experience when we left after 2 hours. Note. you have the table for 2 hours, then it is given to a new group of guests.
M B — Google review
A really cozy spot close to the central station where they serve small dishes intended for sharing. We had the omakase and were very happy with it, a lot of different, delicious flavours. The thinly sliced beef was my personal favourite, but the salad was also incredible. So simple but mixed with a delicious, tangy sauce. The interior really adds well to the atmosphere. I'd be happy to come back and try more of their dishes.
Yas — Google review
I was recommended this place by a friend and tried without a reservation yesterday, but couldn’t get a seat. Made an early reservation today, though! The highlights were the beef tataki and some of the juiciest gyoza every. The Jah lemonade was also excellent. I left comfortably full. This was my most expensive meal so far in Copenhagen.

Very good tasting menu. Servers explained each dish as it was presented. 10 courses, very filling and took a bit over two hours.

We were 2 couples. We all had the tasting menu + sake menu, and we were impressed by the quality of the food, the number of servings, the presentation and the overall experience. The waiter was also very helpful, knowledgeable and quick with our order. We'll definitely come back!

Excellent food. Excellent service. We have tried the tasting menu paired with 3 different Sakes. Our waiter was very knowledgeable and explained us all the food and sakes. Killer Kebab in Vesterbro is a new organic kebab shop that offers lamb kebabs and falafel wraps served on homemade sourdough bread. The lamb used is free-range, and all the ingredients are organic. Despite its unassuming exterior, the cozy and laid-back atmosphere inside makes for a comfortable dining experience.
Love this homemade sourdough flatbreads and falafel was good. The kebab meat tender and delicious. We preferred more killer falafel kebab, because it was more tasty for us.

Very flavourful and filling kebabs. Very good value for Copenhagen. I had the falafel and bf had the lamb. We also shared some dukka fries. Staff was really friendly. We scored a table outside which was so lovely. Highly recommended. We may be back!!

One of the best kebabs I’ve had in Copenhagen! The meat is perfectly seasoned, the bread is soft and fresh, and the sauces bring everything together beautifully. The portions are generous without being overwhelming, and everything tastes super fresh. The staff are friendly and fast, even when the place gets busy. Great spot in Vesterbro whether you want a quick bite or a late-night snack. Highly recommended!
Gabriel D — Google review
Best kebab I had in Cph (and I definitely tried a few). One thing I did not like is that the guy that served us placed the salad in the kebab with his bare hands (although I did not see if he washed his hands or not prior to this); same hands he used for handling trays and other stuff behind the counter. I would have expected some gloves for handling food stuff.

I visited this location quite recently and was pleasantly surprised. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The person at the checkout asked all the necessary questions about my food and drink preferences, which was a great touch. Music was just on spot - not too loud and have the atmosphere of 2k! I got a falafel and can say it was 10/10, very unique flavors and texture. Haven’t had anything like that anywhere else. Definitely will come back with more friends

I have tried many kebab places but this one truly stands out. The meat is always juicy .Everything tastes fresh. The staff are friendly, welcoming, and make you feel like a valued customer every time.

Simply perfect 👌🌯 Went for the Killer Kombo (149dkk) and even got a free sample of their falafel. Definitely worth trying out! Kudos to the staff: everything was made to order and delicious 🔥

This was one of the best meals I had in Copenhagen, and of the best kebabs around the world. The flatbread, meat and sauces are simply delicious. It’s gonna be the first place where I will eat when I visit again.

Lee's Kitchen is a popular family-owned Chinese restaurant situated on Aboulevard in Copenhagen. The menu features a selection of delectable Cantonese dishes. Visitors rave about the exceptional quality and generous portions offered at Lee's Kitchen, making it a standout dining option in the city. Guests appreciate the fast and friendly service provided in a bustling yet charming atmosphere. Dishes such as tender duck, flavorful pork, perfect sesame noodles, and crispy dumplings have left patrons thoroughly impressed.
Went there at 17:00 and by 17:30 the whole place was packed. The service was fast and the waiters were cool and energetic. The food also came fast and it was cooked to perfection. Really nice ! Will definitely come back !
Dimitrios S — Google review
I went here a couple times when visiting CPH. My first experience was really good. I ordered the crispy wonton and their special fried duck. They poured the sauce over the fried duck at our table, so the duck skin stayed crispy. It was delicious. When I came back the second time, the fried duck was soggy because the sauce was already poured before served. Char siu rice dish was kinda sweet. But overall experience was good - service was friendly and quick.
Quyen H — Google review
I loved my dinner hear. Kitchen is super fast and food is tasty. But please for your ceiling, there was Rockwool popping out, making me feel I was eating on a construction site.
Anna E — Google review
Starting off with good service. The menu is available either digital by scanning a QR code or you get a traditional analogue menu, but the staff will guide you and you get to choose. The food was great. The order was crispy duck and a combination of 3 mixed smaller dishes - spring rolls, dumplings and lotus sallad. Everything was extremely good and tasty. My personal favorites was the duck and lotus sallad. The food was brought in fast which is good when you are hungry. The restaurant was neat and clean. All in all a really good experience.
Mattias G — Google review
I have read great reviews about this restaurant, but I think its just a bit above average. We ordered Char Siu with noodles, "Ducking Good" and a side of Pan-fried dumplings. Then we shared the dessert. They gave us the incorrect dish of Char Siu (rice instead of noodles), which was nonetheless a bit dry and not so tasteful. Similarly the dumplings were a bit plain tasting. The duck dish, however, was delicious. They pour the sauce over the hot meat at the table, causing steam to fill the room, which is an exciting stunt. They have a single dessert, hot peanut-covered sesame mochi with vanilla ice cream. Though I haven't tried eating hot mochi before, it was once again a bit plain/basic. The prices are fair & affordable. Regarding the atmosphere, the restaurant felt claustrophobic, affected by being a small space with bad acoustics. Furthermore the seating was very tight, so I had to constantly make space for other guests. I might visit again for the sake of the duck dish. N.B. It's not possible to reserve table ahead of time. It's drop-in only, so if it's full you'll have to sign up for a digital queue.
AugustV — Google review
Overall, Lee’s Kitchen is really great! The portion sizes are very generous, and love, warmth, and friendliness radiates throughout the restaurant. We especially loved the duck, it was really flavorful. The cha siu meat was really tender and went nicely with the noodles. We ordered way too much, but we just wanted to try everything! Coming back soon.
Papaya — Google review
This place is amazing! The restaurant opens at 17:00. But when i arrived at 17:10, the place was already quite crowded, and at 17:40, guests had to wait outside for a table. This says something about quality. I ordered the "ducking good" duck, with some pork/shrimp wontons on the side. I've had Peking duck before, but not like this one. The meat was tender, and yet crispy on one side. Perfect! The wontons were good as well, so all together, it was a great meal! There was almost no waiting time, so imagine my surprise when my order arrived within a few minutes! Great place, great food!
R2k2 — Google review
We absolutely loved the food, especially the Ducking Good — crispy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. It took around 30 minutes to get a table, and the queuing process was a bit confusing since you need to go inside and scan a QR code instead of standing in line. Still, it was totally worth the wait for such amazing Chinese food.

Nihao YAO is a cozy Taiwanese restaurant located in Norrebrod, offering snack-sized portions meant for sharing. The family-run establishment provides a relaxed atmosphere where guests can enjoy delicious homemade dishes such as pork belly bao and potstickers. It's a popular spot in Copenhagen, known for its authentic and flavor-packed Asian cuisine. Visitors can expect to savor an array of dishes that showcase the rich flavors of Taiwanese food.
I love this place! I came here the first time I visited Copenhagen and so I had to come back the second time to try more dishes. For Copenhagen this place is pretty good value for money, and the food is delicious. It’s small so there might be a bit of a wait, but they have some outdoor seating too. This time around I tried a bao and their pan fried dumplings which were so good. Highly recommend if you’re in the area!
Jon W — Google review
Great place for Taiwanese food with some good veggie options. The veggie dumpling (green one) was delicious. I also had the purple bun, it was nice and fresh but a bit too plain for me. The spring rolls were good, and tasted better once they cooled down a bit. The place is small and cosy, and be ready to share a table.
Jo L — Google review
I went here numerous of time when I was in CPH. I had tried all of the dishes on the menu and I loved them all. It’s a great place for Taiwanese food and boba tea. Must order dishes are the fried duck special, pork meatball soup, braised pork rice, boba milk tea and lychee black tea. Good portion. Standard Danish price. Service was friendly and quick.
Quyen H — Google review
One of my absolute favorite places for Asian food! Everything on the menu is absolutely delicious, so you really can’t go wrong. I always order the potstick dumplings—they’re a must-try—but honestly, you could pick anything, and it will taste amazing. Some other favorites of mine are the bao with pork belly and the popcorn chicken. I also tried the milk tea with brown sugar which was really good. The restaurant itself isn’t very big, but very cozy and intimate. It’s perfect for a date night or catching up with a close friend. If you’re a fan of Asian cuisine and enjoy shareable dishes, I’d highly recommend giving this hidden gem a try.

Solid food, good & nothing to complain 👍Authentic joint. Somehow didn‘t blow my mind though…. And standard Danish prices, not exactly cheap.

Food is ok. Loved taiwanese food. I thinks i missed the umami or intense taste of the braised pork belly . It left me unsatisfied. My partner ordered crispy chicken bao. I have this drink that is not really refreshing and find it weird as combo with other ingredients. Its a sour and i have grass jelly . Cant remember the name. The place is small and compact.

Restaurant
Propaganda is a popular food-industry hotspot in Copenhagen, run by Youra Kim and Riccardo Macron. Inspired by Kim's childhood experiences in South Korea, the restaurant offers a non-dramatic approach to casual Korean-inspired cuisine. The menu features simple snacks and larger dishes served at the kitchen counter, including chili fried chicken, stuffed frigitello peppers, kimchi, noodle salad, and more.
The best dang fried chicken I have had. All the other dishes were also fun and playful with heaps of flavor and balance. I didn’t cry like I did when I first visited, but that only happens once in a blue moon to me.

Very unique flavor combinations and dishes. A lovely mix of Korean and other Asian flavors. Small plates, perfect for 2-3 people to share several dishes. The drink menu looked great too. The fried marinated eggs were our favorite, along with the Korean fried chicken, and pork skewers.
Jesica A — Google review
Food was good overall, though the fried chicken didn’t quite live up to the hype from other reviews, it was nice but nothing life-changing. On the other hand, the drinks were excellent, the staff super friendly, and the whole place has a really great vibe. Prices are also quite reasonable for Copenhagen.
Aleksander B — Google review
Tasty and creative dishes, perfect for sharing with friends. We first tried Next Door at Propaganda, a new concept offering a 5-course sharing menu. The food was hearty, flavourful, and unique, a blend of home cooking and modern fusion. The cured shrimp bibimbap was unforgettable, still thinking about it! The seating felt intimate, like dining in someone’s home kitchen. We enjoyed it so much that we went back to try Propaganda, the original restaurant. We shared plates like fried chicken, cold noodles, BBQ fish, and the standout mushroom coconut sticky rice with its surprising burst of flavours. Service was attentive, though seating at the end of the bar counter was a bit tight, fitting six people. It was a busy Friday night, so expect a lively and boisterous atmosphere. Overall, both spots offered delicious, inventive food and a fun dining experience, definitely worth a try!

Perfect for dinner with friends, dates or solo grub. Accompanied by excellent service and even better food and drinks, the atmosphere never fails. The dollar is so weak, I spent nearly $100 on Chinese food! 🥹 However, the food, service, and atmosphere were great! Highly recommend this place after having non-Asian food for four days in Copenhagen.

Popped in for a late lunch. The entrée was unexpected. I thought it would be tastier. The fried rice was good, but the chicken seemed to be playing hide and seek. A decent Chinese joint to have in town nonetheless.

Nice Chinese restaurant serving dim sum. A good range of tasty dishes so it would be best to visit with friends to try everything.
SC L — Google review
We waited 15 minutes before even receiving the menu and didn’t get our food and drinks almost 45 minutes later. The service was lacking—though the staff was friendly when they were around. The food was absolutely delicious, but unfortunately, it couldn’t make up for the noise and poor service. I would suggest that the restaurant consider having more staff on busy nights so that both guests and the staff themselves can have a better experience.

Our favorite dim sum place in the city. Delicious, authentic and easy going. Calm atmosphere and everything is centered around the flavors. You can't go wrong with any of the choices.
Ember B — Google review
Absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish! Royal Garden is a hidden gem. The ambiance was warm and welcoming, the service was attentive without being overbearing, and the food… wow! The highlight of the meal was without a doubt the Peking soup. Rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced, it had just the right amount of spice and depth. You could tell it was made with care and quality ingredients. Everything else we ordered was also top-notch, from pork buns to the Peking duck pancakes. Can’t wait to come back and try more of the menu. Highly recommend if you're craving authentic, delicious Asian cuisine!

During a day trip to Copenhagen for dining and to go to 2 concerts, my son & daughter in law treated me & my wife to a very delicious lunch at the Royal Garden Chinese Restaurant at Dronningens Tvättade 30, 1302 Copenhagen K, last Sunday, March 17, 2019. We came without booking & got immediately a table. The personnel were very friendly & professional. We got relatively fast our orders of many different steamed & fried Dumplings or Dim Sum, fried spring rolls & fried noodles with barbecued pork & different vegetables in oyster & sesame sauce. We got very tasty, well prepared & well balanced not so spicy food. We surely will come back again to this excellent Chinese Restaurant. Highly recommendable.

The Fat Greek, located in Carlsberg Byen, has recently moved to a larger venue on Ryesgade in Osterbro. They offer a variety of gyros including pork, chicken, lamb, and vegan options. Customers rave about the generous portions of juicy grilled meat stuffed into soft and fluffy bread. While some have experienced longer wait times than expected when ordering online, others praise the attentive service from the staff.
Food amazing. Fast and really good portion. I had lamb. Service is fast. There is only one table and since we were casually there we dine in. But most people use it obviously as take away. The have a sink where you can wash your hand 🥰
Fatima S — Google review
I enjoyed a lunch special, with lamb gyros, fries, 4 dips and a nice soda! Too bad that with the delivery the food arrived somewhat cold, but the food was really good! The fresh bread and the lamb were spot on, and so the roasted veggies dip. Looking forward to another meal fresh off the kitchen! :)
Matteo B — Google review
So I tasted their gyros and fries ans sauce for 139 dkk. It was so worth it. The price and the quality of food and service is amazing. Gyros were so tasty omg, but a bit little too salty so I couldn't taste seasoning a bit, but still so freaking good. Fries were seasoned so well and tasted so good, but they were little hard for my teeth and too crispy, not the most fresh ones, but they tasted amazing still! I just wish I got napkins when I ordered take out. I was given a bag that was closed off with staples, so I couldn't see I was given greasy food with zero napkin inside :) but the taste was amazing!
Jake — Google review
We wanted a quick, filling dinner and found this place on Google. The gyros (we got lamb and pork) were fantastic - flavourful pita, well-cooked and generous portions of meat - really delicious. I would give 5 stars for the gyros alone. However, the Greek salad was lacklustre and very expensive for a half-filled container. Come for the gyros alone!
Kathleen O — Google review
The pork meat was great, it tasted like summer grill meat. The bread also very good and the fries come quite crunchy and have nice spices. They are quite busy so it's better if you order in advance. The place only has one table so its better to order for take away.
E. R — Google review
Very tasty food! The bread was very soft and definitely felt fresh and homemade. We had the lamb gyros with the aioli, chilli mayo and pepper dip! They were all great; packaging was also perfect. A bit of a wait time but guess that’s expected on a Friday evening! Will definitely go back, and probably ask for a bit more tzatziki on my gyros next time :)
Avantika N — Google review
Really tasty food, and very special. I ordered the gyros menu, which cost 150 DKK, and included gyros (chicken), fries, and a drink. In my opinion, a little expensive for such a modest menu. There is not much space for a quick snack inside and outside. In general, I was satisfied.

KOPAN STREET in Copenhagen is a delightful culinary gem that specializes in quick, affordable, and mouthwatering meals. Perfect for those on the go, this spot has no seating, making it an ideal grab-and-go destination when you're pressed for time. The menu features delicious Korean hotteok—think of them as an upgraded version of pita bread—filled with options like bulgogi and kimchi.
The vibe and atmosphere of the place was very cute and fun. There is a small "photo booth" were each customer can take a photo and print it, stick it to the walls or take home! The staff were polite and friendly, the prices great for Copenhagen standards and the food really tasty! The pancake had a crispy bready feel to it, but in an amazing way! We tried both savory and sweet and really liked it! Its a great option to snack while walking or take in a bag to go.
Νεφελη Κ — Google review
Had the bulgogi with the cheddar and mozzarella cheese mix, and it was absolutely excellent. The meat was tender and packed with flavour, and the cheese blend really elevated it—gooey, rich, and perfectly savoury. No trace of that sugary sauce some places drown their bulgogi in, which I was really happy about. It hit all the right notes: warm, salty, indulgent, and satisfying. People often describe this kind of dish as a snack, but I was honestly full after finishing it. The portion size was solid, and it did not feel like I needed anything else after. The place was clean, staff were efficient, and everything came out fresh and hot. Would definitely come again to try other options on the menu. Highly recommend for anyone craving proper Korean comfort food!
Omer M — Google review
I was a bit sceptical to ordering nr 3, since it seemed to be only meat inside. However didn’t dissapoint! Packed with flavours and nice texture from the crispy bread. If I’m not mistaken there’s cheese inside as well. Paired well with the sauces they serve.

LOVEEE the food. sooooo good🫶🫶 variety of vegan&vegetarian options, you can have any amount garlic mayo&sriracha you want, and every costumer can take a printed photo sticker for free! soo cute!! both sweet and savory options are amazing (went there two times and would go again) unfortunately there isn’t really space to sit comfortably, the only minus

I’ve been to Kopan several times, and it never disappoints. The bulgogi and japchae hotteok are always crispy outside and generously filled inside super satisfying. It works perfectly as a quick snack or even a full meal when you’re hungry. The shop is clean and stylish, and the staff are always kind. It’s also a fun place for kids my daughter loves looking at all the customer photos on the counter. I often grab a hotteok and enjoy it by the nearby park or lake. it’s always a happy, cozy moment. If you’re craving something warm and comforting, this is definitely the spot.

The place is very small, you can seat only on some benches, it’s Korean street food but it was really difficult to eat it without sitting at a proper table. The hotteok is really good! Juju is a casual restaurant in Copenhagen, created by renowned chef Kristian Baumann. It offers modern Korean favorites at a fraction of the price of fine dining. The five-course set menu costs just 45, or you can order a la carte to mix and match snacks and larger sharing dishes. Baumann's South Korean roots inspire the food, with traditional Korean cooking techniques and flavors combined with Nordic season ingredients.
The food here was exceptional and creative. As others mention the menu is extremely extremely limited and comparing Al la carte to the prefixed, it was the same exact options. The prefixed was more expensive then Al la carte with the same options and the waiter said the sizes were bigger Al la carte. They had 3 appetizers and two entrees on the menu and that’s it (besides desserts). The prefixed menu included all three appetizers. Also they are known for dishes such as dumplings and cold noodles that were unavailable. Every dish listed on other reviews was not available as they rotate dishes but what was available was delicious.
Sam W — Google review
There wasn’t a Korean à la carte option when I visited. Instead, we could order the Korean fried chicken burger and a few side dishes. The burger was really good and definitely worth getting as a combo. The side dishes were a bit bland
Chuang S — Google review
The veggie burger is delicious and staff are friendly and welcoming. It’s a bit disappointing that everything is served in takeaway bags and boxes, even though they have plenty of seating both inside and outside, would be nice to enjoy the meal on proper plates and cutlery when dining in.
Luna M — Google review
We saw the ad on Instagram so we wanted to check it out. Long waiting time, even though we were the only ones there. Fried chicken was definitely a disappointment, the garlic soya sauce was very watery. The burgers were ok, the super spicy burger was a bit off, as if they used the spicy sauce from Buldak instant noodles, felt quite superficial.
Richard K — Google review
Definitely the best Korean fried chicken we’ve had in Denmark! Super juicy! The burger was just okay. The sauce felt a bit bland and could use a bit more kick or something to make it stand out.
M R — Google review
Definitely not a “will visit again” place. Nothing of the food apart from the smokey mayo & nori fries makes me want to go back. I really wanted to try out this place for some time now and I kind of left disappointed. The korean nuggets don’t have much taste if any. Sandwich was okay.
Tanya V — Google review
First of all the price is way too high for two halves of a sandwich, the normal chicken sandwich was bland and overall a chore to choke down, and for a hundred kroner it’s just a scam. The second thing I ordered was the “super spicy” chicken sandwich, it wasn’t spicy and it had NO flavour, again 100 kroner for something that tastes and looks like something a three year old had made out of sand. The last thing we ordered were the driest most unappealing chicken nuggets I’ve ever had (I’ve had my fair share) 85 kroner for nine chicken nuggets. DO NOT EAT HERE. I recommend gravy, it’s cheaper and the food is way better. Don’t believe what you see on instagram.
Arthur S — Google review
We tried the Gochujang chicken burger and the super spicy burger. Taste wise the burgers were the perfect Korean chicken burger, well seasoned and saucy. We preferred the Gochujang chicken over the super spicy one. However, the two downfalls were appearance and size. The burger had the appearance of a homemade slider and the size a bit small for the price.

During my recent culinary adventure, I made a stop at GAO Dumpling Bar in Osterbro, and let me tell you, it was an experience worth savoring! As a self-proclaimed dumpling enthusiast, I can confidently say that these dumplings are far from the frozen varieties often found elsewhere. The unique creation of Japanese candy floss dumplings filled with bok choy and drizzled with nam jim sauce was simply divine.
More dumplings please! Those are excellent and disappear in no time. I tried the spicy pork and the marinated chicken. Both are very tasty, but the chicken was my favourite. I'd advise taking 3 bowls of dumplings if you are hungry, they are too delicious to leave without feeling completely full. I took the cucomber and mushroom salad as a starter and it would have been nice with a bit more black mushrooms. As for the waiter, he is very nice and friendly and he made the dinner an even better experience. Note that this place isn't very large so avoid peak Danish dinner time and don't come with too many friends as there are only counter style tables.

Decent fast dumplings, served up fried to order. A good choice for quick take-away, or side-walk seating - hits the spot but nothing fancy
M M — Google review
GAO Dumpling Bar is a solid spot if you’re craving dumplings in Copenhagen. The dumplings were full of flavor and came swimming in a rich, spicy chili oil sauce that added a real kick – especially the ones topped with cucumber and black sesame. The texture was spot on: nicely steamed and juicy inside. We sat outside on the little street patio, which had a very relaxed, casual vibe. It’s not fancy, but it works. The street is full of graffiti and character, and it all adds to the charm in its own way. We had a bottle of San Pellegrino and some extra soy sauce on the side – simple but satisfying. Service was quick, and the food came out hot. The portion size was decent, though a few more dumplings wouldn’t hurt for the price. Also, seating is limited, so expect to squeeze in or get takeaway if it’s busy. All in all, GAO is definitely worth a visit for a tasty, spicy dumpling fix – just don’t expect fine dining. We’ll be back!
Villads T — Google review
I've had gao dumplings a few times and have loved them every time. The mushroom ones remain my favourite, they have such great flavours. 12 dumplings and a side is the perfect meal size. The service and atmosphere was okay but nothing memorable. I didn't find that an issue though as the concept seems kind of fast paced and that's okay, I was there for the food and that definitely didn't disappoint. Highly recommend the mushroom dumplings, spicy cucumber salad, and garlicky bok choy. Mind that they have limited seating inside and it's all on high seats along the walls.

I would probably give this a 3.5 if that was an option. Freshly prepared whilst you wait hot dumplings. Decent taste and came relatively quickly. Good atmosphere although not many seats inside - but that’s not a problem on a sunny day as there are many outside. Not the best of most flavourful dumplings I’ve had but pretty nice! Pretty sure there was no toilet available for customers but I can’t be 100% sure as I didn’t ask.

Very disappointing experience. As soon as we walked in, we were hit by a strong burnt frying smell that made the atmosphere quite unpleasant. The service was extremely slow: we waited about 40 minutes for just four dishes. When the food finally arrived, the bok choi was very cold and quite tasteless, and the dumplings — supposedly the specialty of the place — were not up to standard at all.
Paola F — Google review
The waiting time was a little long. Only one person to prepare all the food and taking care of the orders and payments. The dumplings were so so. We have different gotten better tasting dumplings elsewhere.

I recently visited GAO Dumpling Bar in Copenhagen and tried their Hong Kong-style dumplings. While I must admit that the dumplings were quite delicious, I found myself wishing that they were a bit soupier inside. The overall taste was still great and definitely worth trying. However, the restaurant itself is quite small with limited seating and the ventilation isn't the best. As a result, the clothes I was wearing ended up smelling like the food. Additionally, I found the staff to be somewhat cold and not very welcoming.

Takeout Restaurant
Thai restaurant
Holy Krapow is a delightful Thai street food concept that emerged from the culinary journey of Sofie Lisby, who returned to Denmark after 16 years in Bangkok. This unique eatery focuses solely on one iconic dish: pad krapow. Diners can choose from four protein options—pork, chicken, beef, or mushrooms—served alongside fragrant rice and a perfectly fried egg. The simplicity of the menu highlights their commitment to mastering this beloved Thai classic.
Holy Krapow is right! These guys do one thing and they do it extremely well. For Copenhagen it's actually a wholesome meal for a reasonable price which can be rare indeed. Marvel at the Krapow and enjoy one of the classic soda pops. Beware that you need to be able to handle the heat if you order Thai spicy. It'll clear your sinuses right up!

Do they only make good pad Krapow for the media?? Does it matter when it comes to a normal common customer like me? Ofcouse I have this conclusion after 6 times ordering their pad kra paw :( First time i heard about holy krapow was through a famous food blogger who writes about food scene around Copenhagen. So I ordered via hungrydanmark, first order was ok, i ordered 2x of their combo. After a few a weeks, I ordered again and the taste was so different, it was tasteless. But that didn't mean I wouldn't come back. Some friends of mine wanted to try so bad because of the hype, so we placed some other orders, again, this ones still lack of consistency. We ordered 2 combo recently, 2 orders with pork and the other 2 with chicken. The chicken krapow were incredibly tasteless, on the other hand, the pork ones were so salty we could only taste overwhelming oyster sauce for the rest of our evening. Enough said. Hopefully they'll improve their quality. Not only for people in the media. But also their normal guests. Disappointed :/

Ordered the vegetarian option, didnt taste good, so bland. The waiter (or maybe the owner of the place) showed quite an arrogant attitude.

Checked this place out in Reffen. To my surprise, it was very flavorful and the noodles were nicely cooked. Would recommend if you’re looking for a quick Thai fix.
Mandy G — Google review
Delicious! Generous portions with well balanced flavour profile. Nice staff. Try it out if you are in the neighborhood.

Best Krapow in Scandanvia, reminds me of Thailand. Get Thai spicy.
Tabor S — Google review
Charming place, the food was not as delicious as I was expecting it to be.
