Great stop for a late night meal. We had the shawarma durum which was meat packed and delicious. It had the right amount of heat. The kebab box was good but the fries on top were crispy and the bottom obviously soggy. I like the ingenuity but would prefer them separate

Damn it, Kebabistan, you’ve dethroned my favourite shawarma back home. Now I’ll have to eat here knowing what I could be getting if only I were in Copenhagen. IMHO, it is best in that crusty Turkish bread

wow that lamb was the finest quality I’ve had at any shawarma. Everything else was solid and fine, but the meat is what really wins you. Definitely will return

Lovely experience at Kebabistan. Though their menu were in Danish, they were kind and patient enough to guide me through the different Shawarma sets. In the end we got the Chicken Wrap and the Shawarma Ret. It was delicious. The meat was succulent, wraps and veggie fresh. The falafel added were crispy and tasty! Please do get the homemade chilli, it was herby and spicy. Had a lovely movie while devouring all the food! What a lovely experience.

Just traveling thru Copenhagen, but truly one of the best Shawarmas I’ve ever had, and have had all over the world. Delicious fries too. Fast service. Grab and go. We ate in the park! Cheers guys!!

I thought I already had left a review on this spot. How could I have missed it!!?? Because this is the only establishment that I continually keep returning to, except Mcdonalds to be honest. Today was nothing out of the ordinary, but as always exceptional. I ordered my usual Shawarma with Turkish bread and a coke, and I felt a bit pressure, because I had hyped this kebab joint for a couple of days now. All the way while we drove from Stockholm to Malmö I kept telling my friend Lilly about this kebab, the perfect right temperature bread, the shredded grilled shawarma, combined with the right amount of green things, and man, the chili is out of this world. I actually decided to stay an extra day in Malmö, just to have time to come back to Kebabistan, it’s that good!! I must also give credit to my friend “The Fog” who introduced me to Kebabistan almost a decade ago. I remember that I felt some resistance when he first suggested this place, but now I can easily admit that this is one of my long lasting culinary loves in life. So today me, Lilly and Olga took the train from Malmö to Copenhagen and had lunch at Kebabistan. It was a brief, but a magical moment, and I think this kebab brought us closer, I certainly feel more connected to them after this experience, I hope they do too.

The portions at this place are incredibly generous! 🍽️ If you don’t have a particularly big appetite, one dish is actually enough for two people. My companion originally didn’t even plan to have dinner — they had a bit too much to drink at a nearby bar — but once we stepped in and saw how good the food looked, they ended up eating too! 🐑Lamb tikka ret This is the restaurant’s signature dish — it can be translated as grilled lamb skewers, a classic Indian dish. It’s the one displayed most prominently at the counter. I thought “kebab” just meant a skewer or two of meat, but when it arrived, it was a full sizzling platter — easily 300g of meat! And not ground or minced, but chunky pieces of lamb 🐑. The meat had been marinated beforehand, full of flavor, grilled over charcoal, and still slightly pink inside, about medium well. Not spicy at all — perfect for those who don’t like spicy food. The rice served with it came on a giant 24-inch plate 🍚 — no joke — and was topped with salad dressing and vegetables. Honestly, just this portion of carbs could count as a full dish on its own. Anyone with a normal appetite would likely struggle to finish it. The portion here even beats many Turkish restaurants. The server also brought a small bowl of their homemade chili sauce 🌶️ on the side, which means they really cater to all kinds of diners, spicy and non-spicy alike. For Copenhagen standards, this place offers excellent value for money. 💰

I had some dinner plans... but stuff happened. It was close to 2200hrs. I was very hungry. Suddenly, like a rising sun, I saw the sign for Kebabish. Even though they were heading towards closing time, they provided good service. Yes, what I initially wanted was all out for the day. That's ok. The guy behind the counter, who gave me strong "owner" vibes suggested an alternative. It was a great interchange. I found the crowd inside to be reassuring as well... languages from all over the Arabian Peninsula and Central Asia. Affordable, tasty, authentic. Now I'm hungry for more :)

Authentic flavor and taste. 100% Halal. Best desi food I had in all Europe. Loved the mango lassi and Methi Gosh/Chicken, Palak Gosh/Chicken. Lacks presentation. Tables and floor could be clean better. The red spicy sauce always kept open!!

Food was tasty & made immediately. Service is a little lacklustre with very few ppl. Had gone for lunch around 1pm. The place was not neat at all. Tables were not wiped clean even. Floor was also dirty.

Very decent chicken tandoori pizza. The service is not very inviting and there was a pigeon inside the restaurant. Decent prices.

Got food poisoning last time, just ordered again(I shouldn't have, and I'm stuck here missing half of the ordered items and they refuse to refund me(Wolt). Disgusting food and hygiene, over hyped place. I recommend that you go somewhere else! Never coming back!!! Edit. You need to learn to read and write. Nasty food.

The food was okay. Nothing wrong with it but lacks flavor. the fat/meat ratio is not there, the salad was boring and the bread Falling part : ( 7/10

The restaurant is very big with lots of areas to sit. The tables are pretty too. The food was made quickly and service friendly enough. My falafel durum was ok but a lot of lettuce in a clump which was a bit average. The falafel was ok, but nothing amazing. The toilets were clean downstairs. Was a fine experience but nothing standout.

Very nice food and cheap compared to the rest of Copenhagen ! The meat was a bit over cooked but that’s not usually the case. Only downside is the queue at the entrance. Takes ten minutes in line to pick up your takeaway which has then turned cold . This place is very busy !

Good food, friendly staffs and nice atmosphere. Price was reasonable for the food. I ordered "grill ret med grøntsagsspyd" which comes with rice, yogurt, salad and a bread. The meet was a little bit raw, but overall it was good.

now THAT man knows how to put together a good looking shawarma plate. Great flavor, great quality, great variety, solid portions. Everything’s there! And great price! The nice open window breeze was sweet

Great food at a great price. We got a menu with tasty fries, lots of sauces and a delicious roll. One of the best I’ve had, it just lacked the last minor detail to get a 5 star rating. But for Copenhagen the value vs. price is phenomenal 💸💪🏻😋

Relaxing Atmosphere and very fast service. We eat 2 dishes.. Both was not good, too match spice (coming from someone who love spices) and with wrong spices, meat full of clove.

Delicious food and good service. Definitely try their burgers. Most of the time though it's crowded but not surprising since they serve good food.

Visited in January 2025. We were 3 people and we ordered many different dishes. The food variety was great, the dishes were well presented and the food felt homemade. I am a big fan of Lebanese food, yet the dishes here felt quite bland, with the exception of baba ganoush, where the tahini was way too strong for my taste, overpowering the eggplants. The fatoush and citrus salad were good, and so were the drinks - we tried the pomegranate juice and the Mahalle special. Service was quick when we arrived, but then the place got very crowded, and it took a bit of time before our empty plates were taken away. Similarly, the atmosphere was rather cozy when we sat down, but then became quite loud as more guests arrived. Overall, I'd happily go back to Mahalle, but I might try a different location next time.

The staff were so lovely! Some of the food (the falafel and the eggplant) was really tasty, but otherwise nothing spectacular. It all looks very good though and the prices are great.

I'm Lebanese, and I can assure you: this is the real deal! Not only did my friends and I enjoy it, but it's also highly recommended by two good (local) friends of mine who both spent time in the Levant. Highly recommend!

Food is wonderful ! But just get ready it is heavy taste (but yummy) Staffs very friendly at all with big smile. The place is really too small in between each table to table especially two tables at the end of the restaurant. You can’t get out from the table during dinner once sit down. Honestly, it is really bad as I can’t move while having dinner as will hit another chair. Also it is very noisy while they have full house guests (only 5 tables). If you wish have good time to chat with friends, here is not the choice. BUT, price is cheap !!!!

One of the best Lebanese breakfast we’ve ever had! (Outside of Lebanon) Generous portions, amazing taste and very authentic ingredients used. As they say “this is how grandma makes it”. I would highly recommend this place for breakfast or lunch. Note that this is also a vegetarians heaven with all the choices.

Excellent Lebanese restaurant in the city. Food was so delicious and rich in presentation as well. Reasonable prices for food and having a great menu. Traditional Lebanese and Arabic flavour food. Remember to reserve a table or else you’ll have to wait to get one. Having outdoor sitting facilities as well. Staffs are very friendly and professional. Especially the Pakistani girl, she has an excellent service skills and very proactive and super accurate in the orders. I recommend it is nice restaurant to spend your evening with enjoying dinner.

Great place to try new food - a libanisian restaurant with very taste food. They have plates with different thinks, tapas dishes and burgers. And it's all won the greenest restaurant in Copenhagen 🌿 So lots of tasty vegetarian options.

Popped into Durim Bar on Nørrebrogade for a quick late-night meal and was genuinely impressed. I had the No. 2 – the meat was excellent, super fresh and juicy, and the durim was clearly made fresh. Loved the fires crackling inside too – adds a cosy, authentic vibe to the place. The staff were friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. It is exactly the kind of spot you want when you’re craving something satisfying late in the evening. Will definitely come again. A solid spot worth revisiting.

Extremely disappointing experience. One star is a lot for this restaurant. Waited 20 minutes just to place the order—thought the line meant good food, but unfortunately, I was wrong. The food preparation felt rushed, yet it still took ages: bread arrived 15 minutes after the rest of the food was as given to us and the salads were clearly not fresh—tasted like they’d been sitting in a fridge for days. Despite being listed as a Halal restaurant on Google, there was no Halal signage anywhere, which was concerning. Ended up leaving most of the food untouched and going to another restaurant nearby. Waste of money and a frustrating experience overall. Please avoid if you want to treat yourself and pocket well.

Have had 6 durum kebabs in Copenhagen this past week and I think this one was my favourite. Very large size, well wrapped, nice mixture of ingredients, Chili oil is separately packaged for hygiene, and bread is freshly made before you eat it.

Stumbled upon this place as we were walking down the street and stopped in to give it a go. Was not disappointed. There was a bit of a language barrier when ordering, but the staff was helpful and patient and walked us through the process. We had the falafel plate which was really delicious. The falafel was well seasoned, crispy on the outside, soft and warm on the inside. The plate came with 3 sides which were all fresh and flavorful. Picked red cabbages and warm pita rounded out the meal. The shawarma we saw others having also looked amazing. Can't really say enough good about this place. Great food. Large portions. Reasonably priced. Impeccably clean. Spend your money here. These guys are doing it right and deserve you business.

The worst Kebab I collage had in Copenhagen, it was stone cold. Pure crap.

We loved this place. Service was amazing and they were so helpful. Loved the manakeesh and fatayer - the sausage ones are amazing! Try all the pastries they are all so so good! Didn’t try the shawerma but it looks very good and clean. Would always come back and definitely recommend!

I’ve been there several times for a falafel dürüm. The staff is friendly, and you can add as many toppings as you like at no extra cost. The price-to-value ratio is unbeatable in town. However, that also means you shouldn’t expect the same quality as higher-priced kebab spots.

Been there Monday asked for chicken wrap and pita, got home when I opened they made shawarma or they know better what. Simply haven’t been able to get the order right.

Excellent experience! The guy working there was super courteous, helped me out with food suggestions & gave me the right order! The Shawerma quality was excellent, the sides next to it are quite generous in portion, the place is very reasonably-priced! Again I pay the same for a pita in where I live (Lyngby). Highly recommended from my end!

Best kebab in norrebro. While other kebab places maybe make their own bread, the meat here is much tastier than any other restaurants. Very aromatic Chicken kebab is made at the restaurant, not bough, which is rare and is very tasty too I have tried many of the kebabs in the area and this is the best one this far Also 35kr for a lunch Pita is in the lower price ranges

I ate here for the first time a falafel menu. Clean place, lovely design, clean toilets, delicious delicious food, tastes fresh and worthy waiting a couple of minutes for the fresh bread to be done :-). Friendly staff and will come back :-), but I wish they had the free tea like other similar places, it would be really awesome!

Food is okay and nourishing but would not go there a second time. Had the Falafel pita menu with fries. Bread was lush and had no taste, same for the falafel. Only the sauce gave the whole thing a bit of taste. There was loud modern (drum and bass?) music played and the atmosphere was thus also not that great. Wait time for the menu was okay, did not expect to wait but maybe no one orders falafel.

Classic sharwarma, great fries and disgusting nuggets (spend more on quality here - the ones you have today are inedible).

Miserable place. Under staffed, over priced and way too young staff to deal with the dinner rush hour. Lined up for 15 min. And waited another 25 for two durum made with no love at all. Original… hmmmm 🤨 not sure - more like bland and miserable.

Great falafel durum! It had good amount of dressing, and even pickles. Snap service, reasonable prices. Terrasse was slightly messy but great view over the garden.

Very bland and greedy business model. For example - serves kids menu with fries… and charges extra for ketchup. Just annoying. Durum was tasteless, which I expected, so I accepted their upselling of additional chili and hummus. When served their was neither even though they charged for it. My strong recommendation- stay hungry and go to Ankara Dürum House on Istedgade.

Not many reviews so thought we would leave one. Food was decent, suggest you get chili to add a little something something, but otherwise quite fine durum shawarma and fries good too. Forgot to take a picture at first but guess a half-eaten one is actually a better descriptor. Enjoy!

Smallest falafel sandwich I’ve ever eaten in my life. Also the euro currency exchange rate (10€ = 60 kr) is total rip off. What a shame.

First of all the man was rude, I asked if there were any fries in the kebab boxs and he replied very rudely and careless. Second of all the prices does NOT make any sense compared to the quality. You get a small sized dish with medium flavor. I would NOT recommend this place, and will not support it in the future….

Fantastic falafel, pita, white sauce and (very damn spicy) spicy sauce. Worth the trip from Carlsbergbyen.

I read about this place before hand as “Best in Copenhagen”. It was extremely average and the only good thing was that is cost a little less. I had much better falafel at random kebab shops in CPH.
