Steak house
Restaurant
D.K. Steak House is a refined eatery located in the Waikiki Beach Marriott Resort, offering dry-aged beef and locally sourced dishes with beach views. The cozy wooden booths create a romantic atmosphere, complemented by subdued lighting and elegant decor. Known for its large and satisfying portions, it's a local favorite for delicious steaks and seafood. While it can get crowded, reservations or takeout are available to avoid long waits.
Phenomenal view. Incredible food. Wonderful service- Justin really made it the full dining experience. Everything we ordered was great- The salmon was delicious and the sauce it was in was so tasty and unique! The filet with crab was melt in your mouth. I would definitely come back and I highly recommend!

Our waiter was great! The sushi was delicious, the calamari and shrimp were on point. However, the 22oz ribeye steaks had atleast 30-40% fat on them. I don't mind some cap but this was too much! I didn't complain because I didn't want to be that guy on this night!! But I wasn't thrilled paying 80.00 for two steaks with that much excess on them . Other than the steaks we had a pleasant experience. The place is a one and done for me though.
Chitowne34 — Google review
Really disappointed and didn't want to but when you are a known steak house and your premier foods are not available, your wait staff forgets to put in orders on your foods and drinks and your meals come out 15 minutes apart and you can't even have dinner with your family correctly. We had to share foods just for our family to at least eat. Yes, the manager comped some of the bill, but those items are the ones that did not come to our table. I would say the food tasted good...would probably have tasted better collectively since the sides are family style. I'm not saying don't dine here. Bad experiences happen all the time.

A fancy steak house and seafood restaurant. The food was delicious and service was very knowledgeable about the menu and the nuanced flavors. Prices are fairly high but we're worth it.

Staying in the Marriott, we booked in for dinner and it had a great atmosphere with love music, really great service and awesome food. Justin looked after us and was genuinely wanting to help make our stay as amazing as possible, not just in the restaurant but in Oahu. Offered recommendations and suggestions to what to do while in the region. Lovely guy who went above and beyond! A+ Steak 🙌❤️

I had the 14 oz steak medium well that was both moist, tender and flavorful. I had declined any alcohol and opted for a mango lemonade followed up with strawberry lemonade. Both were overly sweet, but I didn't mind. I opted for the mixed vegetables comprised of zucchini and squash.

D.K Steak House on a Friday night! Wow. A Hawaiian speciality treat in the heart of Waikiki, at the JW Marriott hotel. $25 parking at the valet or go to garages doors down to guest parking on the left and get 4 hours of free validated self parking. Go to the 3 res floor for DK’a. We arrived with reservations at 5:30 and we were seated within 5 minutes at a glass topped table booth that comfortably sat our party of four. It is a wooden bench so if you’d like more cushioning for your bottom, choose the tables with chairs. Our overall experience was 2.5 hrs and we saw the sky turn its beautiful colors at sunset while we ate. We received exceptional personalized attentive service from Jason our server. He would slip in and refill our sodas and water without us even noticing. We’d give him a 6 star review if we could. We ordered a house drink lilikoi Lychee drink made with rum. Not a sweet drink as the lime keeps it sour but refreshing after a day on the sands of Oahu. Appetizers were delicious with panko crusted seared Ahi wrapped in arugula. The fish was seared perfectly and had a mild flavored sauce to dip the sushi cut into. We also ordered a teriyaki stake appetizer. The Teri sauce was a bold sauce and the beef tender stripes serviced with teriyaki drenched spinach leaves. Our main meals were a choice of Rib Eye either classic style or 30 day aged. We only wanted steak but there is a large variety of fish specials as well. When deciding on the main meal, I must say The menu was confusing. They seem to combine their sister restaurant Sansei’s menu with the DK menu. So they list early bird specials but we found out that is only for Sansei’s menu and only on Sunday and Monday evenings. So don’t be mislead by prices. On this Friday evening, They were out of bone in rib eyes for both the classic and 30 day aged Rib eye. They had a discount for the cuts offered since they weren’t bone in, but it was not listed on the menu. We had a choice of 14 or 22 oz on the classic but the only coice was a 22 oz no bone aged cut. We ordered it as a meal which is $15.00 additional and includes a soup or salad and choice of mashed potatoes or rice and veggies. We had 3 Caesar salads and one of us ordered a lettuce wedge with balsamic dressing and bacon bits. We ordered the sautéed mushrooms and garlic fries as sides. The fries have a lot of garlic! Dessert was Kona mud pie made with a dark chocolate crust with macadamia nuts and coconut. Fantastic wrap to a delicious dinner. To top it off at 8:00 we watched from the rood top the fire work show over the bay at the Hilton. The pool area was a great viewing spot. The over all experience was very enjoyable and great food. Be prepared for about $100 per person with appetizers and drinks and shared dessert. We went home with leftovers.

Upscale steakhouse with affordable options as well. I took my family here for our last night in Oahu. I had the short ribs which were good but lacked the flavor I was hoping for. My son had the spicy ramen and he said it was one of the best he's had. My wife ordered the brussel sprouts and mashed potatoes she said they were amazing. Staff was nice and accommodating. Inside was air conditioned and comfortable and the patio seating had great views of Waikiki Beach. The steaks were on the higher end of the price scale but they have early bird specials which can't save you about 10 to $15 on their selections if you're looking for a deal. Overall we had and enjoyable dining experience and I would not hesitate coming back here again.

Hy's Steak House is a quintessential dining destination that has shaped the steakhouse experience in Canada and has become a beloved establishment in Hawaii over its impressive 45-year history. Nestled within an elegant setting adorned with aristocratic English-style library decor, this classic steakhouse specializes in USDA Prime Beef, expertly broiled over kiawe wood for an unforgettable flavor.
We were in Hawaii for our anniversary. This was the 1st time at this establishment for my wife and I. The atmosphere was calming, the service was great. I've never had anyone pull out my chair for me so that was surprising. We had the filet mignon that was well cooked, tender and flavorful. After the meal, we were surprised with a specisl dessert to celebrate our anniversary. Thank you Hy Steak staff for the great memories.

Let’s start with Jade at the bar, amazing is all I can say. I was just testing the water and she gave 5 ⭐️ service. The food and drinks are bragging rights worthy, atmosphere is elegant and old money. Old money meets new NEW MONEY 😍

The BEST dining experience and food I’ve ever had in my life. Our waiter Nick was amazing and support waiter Robert was so on top of everything and anything you could need. First off the bread was so flavorful and not heavy. I ordered a drink I had never tried. Muy Mui, and it was amazing. We had a table side made Cesar that was for two but was huge! We shared garlic filet minion and it melted in our mouth. It was our anniversary and they brought us complimentary flourless brownies and the most delicious topping, not sure what that was but wasn’t frosting. Coffee was excellent. Just can’t say enough about this place! Worth every dollar we spent!

Our best dinner experience in Oahu this year. The aged porterhouse grilled over traditional Hawaiian Kiawe wood made the steak extra flavorful. Our servers were uber amazing and they seated us where the Obamas usually sit when they visit. Just the perfect dinner to end our trip in Oahu.

I’d like to start this review by saying that this is the BEST steakhouse the wife and I have had on the Island of Oahu. This is one of those restaurants that is totally worth the price. From the moment we walked in we were waited on. We never had empty glasses or empty plates. My wife had the French Onion Soup and Filet. I had the Lobster Bisque and Filet and Lobster meal. We shared a table side Caesar Salad and the house cheesy bread. There was not one bite that we weren’t in heaven. The ambience of the restaurant is also a highlight as it is an old library esque setting. I HIGHLY recommend this place for any occasion.

Hy’s Steakhouse was simply amazing. All the staff were so kind and welcoming. I would like to give a special thanks to Jerell, who took care of us, for his guidance, kindness, and warm smile. As for the food — I travel to France frequently, and believe it or not, the best escargot I’ve ever had was in Hawaii! You absolutely must try their escargot before you leave. The other dishes were also incredibly delicious. The T-bone steak was outstanding. Since it was our honeymoon dinner, Jerell kindly took our photo and brought it to us, and they also treated us to a brownie. Thank you so much for everything. The atmosphere was wonderful as well. No matter what I write, it won’t be enough to express how much I enjoyed it!

Highly recommend going to the Happy Hour! Food: ordered the beef wellington, A5 fries, and chocolate lava cake. The beef wellington looks small but pairing it with a side of fries was very filling. The beef wellington was superb and the dipping sauce for the fries was excellent. The fries were crispy and rich. I wish the mashed potatoes were a little creamer and the chocolate lava cake was not as warm or lava-like as others I've had. Aside from those two things, I can't wait to go back to try other things on their happy hour menu. Compared to their regular dinner prices, you can't be the value. Ambiance: Very fancy, old time feel. Think leather and velvet seats with dark stained wood. I think you get it. Wear a collared shirt and pants. The restaurant is quiet with soft music in the background. I sat in the lounge near the bar so it was a little louder. Service: My server, Anakin, was so attentive. Very kind, knowledgeable, and checked up on me just enough. Overall: had an excellent time. If you are at least 2 people, you should make an online reservation. If not, walk in at 5pm for your best chances at getting a seat.

Hy’s is not just a restaurant, it’s an experience! One worth bragging about at that. Server Kuni, was absolutely exceptional, going above and beyond for us. We were blown away by both the quality of food as-well as its presentation. If you are in Waikiki, this place is a MUST visit! Could not recommend more highly.

Located on the 36th floor of the Ala Moana Hotel, The Signature Prime Steak & Seafood is a top-notch fine-dining restaurant offering breathtaking panoramic views of the ocean. With an elegant ambiance featuring white tablecloths and candle-lit tables, it's an ideal spot for a romantic date night. While renowned for its prime steaks, the restaurant also excels in seafood dishes like Furikake Crusted Ahi and the Signature Seafood Tower.
I recently had dinner at one of Honolulu’s best restaurants, The Signature Steakhouse. The experience was just amazing. The view in the restaurant was absolutely beautiful! We enjoyed incredible panoramic view, both the Honolulu skyline and the ocean through windows that wrap around three sides of the restaurant. It’s a sky lounge setting that combines urban energy with coastal serenity. I couldn’t stop saying “wow” at the view. The moment at sunset hour was absolutely magical. And then, of course, there’s the food. This place is not just about the view, it’s also known as one of Honolulu’s top dining restaurants. The steak was perfectly cooked and full of flavor, and the seafood was incredibly fresh and beautifully prepared. The service? The staff were all warm, quick and nice.

The line for their daily happy hour extends from the elevator through the lobby and out the entry driveway - but the wait is worth the experience! The steaks are the main draw, but happy hour with 50% off dishes and cocktails (some, not all) is the star of the show, rivaling only the spectacular scenery from the 36th Floor. Our favorites - the fresh scallops, fried oysters - just delectable with flavors exploding in every bite! The soft shell crab and steak tips were also flavorful. It can get noisy and crowded at happy hour - and please ask to be seated near the piano and away from the walkways as it can be bothersome to get bumped and poked every now and then.

The best happy hour deal! A must-try steak for under $30! Greg was our server — friendly, professional, and very attentive. The food and drinks arrived promptly and at the perfect temperature. He even sang Happy Birthday for my sister, which made our day extra special! Greg also shared a great tip: if you want to enjoy the sunset, reserve tables 10–15. You’ll get to savor delicious food, amazing deals, and a stunning sunset view all at once.
Marie K — Google review
My first visit to The Signature was an absolutely outstanding experience. The elevator wait for happy hour can be a bit long, (around 20 minutes) so a separate line for reservations might be helpful. But once you step off the elevator and see the sweeping views of Honolulu, the ocean, and the sunset, it’s easy to forget the wait. I had a reservation that evening (note that reservations are for the full dinner menu, not happy hour pricing), and it was well worth it. My total came to about $169 before tip for one person, which was fair given the quality and setting. I was seated in the southwest corner, a perfect sunset view, and the service was excellent from start to finish. My water glass never ran empty, and my server was professional, kind, and efficient. I started with the French onion soup, which was rich, flavorful, and perfectly melted on top. For my entrée, I ordered the prime filet and lobster with truffle potato gratin, and the chef kindly sent out garlic mashed potatoes as well. Every dish was beautifully prepared, the steak perfectly cooked, the lobster buttery and tender, and the potatoes flavorful (though the garlic mash may be a bit strong for some). The complimentary bread rolls were warm and perfectly salted with a nice crunch. The live pianist added a wonderful touch, talented and soothing without overpowering the room. My two timeless old fashioneds were mixed flawlessly. Overall, it was one of the most memorable meals I’ve had in Honolulu. On my second visit, I arrived around 6:50 PM hoping to order a few items from the happy hour menu before 7 PM, as advertised on their marketing materials, website, and emails (all clearly stating Happy Hour: 4:30–7:00 PM). However, I was told that food service for happy hour ended at 6:30 PM and that I could only order drinks at full price. This contradicted every piece of marketing I’ve seen, including the flyer they emailed (attached here for reference). It was disappointing and confusing, especially since I mentioned that I knew exactly what I wanted to order and had arrived within the stated time. Consistency in communication is key at this level of dining, and I hope management will align their policies with their advertising to avoid confusion for future guests. That said, The Signature remains a top-tier dining destination. The views, ambiance, and food quality are second to none, and when everything aligns, it’s an unforgettable experience. Parking tip: You can park anywhere in the Ala Moana structure, but the second floor near Macy’s provides the most direct access to the hotel elevators. Despite the minor frustration during my second visit, I’ll absolutely be back, the service, food, and setting make The Signature a must-visit for both locals and visitors alike.

I went there for a Girl's Day with my friends. The wine was amazing, and the steak just melted in my mouth. I usually never eat mashed potatoes, but they were so good I couldn’t stop eating them, haha. And oh my god—the mushrooms? Totally addictive! We had such a lovely evening. The sunset was absolutely beautiful, and to top it all off, the piano performance at the end was incredible!
Ruba Y — Google review
It was our first time visiting and had a great date night at Signature! We were quickly seated and greeted. We were there for happy hour and their selection was quite good. We tried the soft shell crab, the steak sliders, truffle fries, ahi poke and calamansi brûlée. The sliders presented well and were fresh but honestly were a bit bland. My wife enjoyed the crab and the truffle fries were quite good. The star of the show however was the poke. Oh my. The texture was soooo buttery. Delicious. I would gladly go back for that and the brûlée. Nice ambiance and the piano playing was an excellent touch. We will definitely be going back!

The Signature Prime Steak & Seafood – Honolulu, HI Top-notch dining with an incredible view from the 36th floor of the Ala Moana Hotel. Amanda, the maître d’, runs the room like a pro and shout-out to Lily & Kalei for their flawless service. The lamb chops were tender and perfectly seasoned, with rich creamed spinach, creamy mashed potato and buttery sweet corn that hit every note. Elegant atmosphere, excellent food, and service that stands out. A must-visit when in Honolulu.

It’s very good overall and a standard steakhouse, besides the view I’m not sure why to return. The food is good but it’s def pricey for the quality. Service was nice but they were lacking like two of their signature (pun) desserts.

Aloha Steak House is a casual fine dining restaurant in Honolulu, Hawaii, offering a mix of steaks, seafood, and Hawaiian dishes along with a variety of beverages including beer, floats, and tropical cocktails. The restaurant recently celebrated its opening with live performances by local talent. Visitors can enjoy the inviting atmosphere for a quick lunch or special dinner after a day at the beach. Guests have praised the attentive staff and delicious food, particularly highlighting the perfectly cooked steaks and flavorful garlic shrimp.
Delicious food, great service, and casual but nice atmosphere. It was a date night with my partner, and the waiter generously took our picture when we asked as well. We shared the ribeye, filet mignon, lobster mac and cheese, grilled asparagus, mushrooms, and truffle fries. We were seriously hungry after a day of hiking, and this steak house did the job for our hunger. Definitely recommend this place. Furthermore, two of our friends met us there, and we ended up staying a bit longer to chat.

The food was excellent, very good but the experience was not good at all. They sat us at a booth right next to the bar with a broken ceiling fan. In the beginning it was alright but after our food arrived it started to get uncomfortably warm/hot that we couldn’t even stay for dessert. We had to take our dessert to go. Our server could have done better with water service and just being around. We wanted to add fries to our order but she disappeared for so long that it was too late for us to ask for the fries. One of the bartenders was very loud. Granted he was talking to 2 loud customers at the bar but he was the loudest there. It kind of surprised us. So to summarize, the food is good but our experience was not good. It is probably better to sit out on the patio where there is a breeze, if the street noise doesn’t bother you. It is a busy street and it is elevated just a little bit from the street level.

8/2025 A decent steakhouse. Japanese owned, nice atmosphere, great location, seems to always be crowded. Megan at the front door was pleasant, courteous and helpful. She cleaned our place at the bar before we sat down. Some service can improve, others are on it. Something may be missing as the lack of smiles and teamwork on the staff is apparent. Steaks were good, potatoes a little small for a true steakhouse, and vegetables/ cobbed corn interesting choice. Overall, it's worth a try to taste and experience for yourself. ✌️

Our server was so nice and excellently on top of anything we could possibly need. The food was ok though. We had steak and fish that were meh, good but nothing special. We added a truffle butter which thankfully elevated them. The bacon Mac was amazing. Our pina coladas were fantastic.

The food and experience did not justify the price. My friend and I dined here for our last night in Waikiki and so many mistakes were made. We ordered the medium-sized Tomahawk steak ($155!) cooked medium rare, the loaded potato and asparagus. About twenty minutes after we ordered a server came to our table with two ricaps with corn. We told him that was not our food. He came back 30secs later insisting that it was and that we just did not recognize our order. We had to tell him a second time that these were not our orders. About 15 minutes after that, our Tomahawk arrived. The server absolutely butchered the steak when he tried cutting it to serve it (large, sloppy cuts) and we immediately noticed the steak was cooked nearly well done. Our sides did not come out with our steak. After flagging down our original waitress, we explained that this was not how we asked for our very expensive steak to be cooked. They offered to either comp our bill 10% or cook us another steak. We chose to have another steak. Given the evening full of mistakes, I would have expected them to offer BOTH OPTIONS. At that point our server cleared our entire table (the sides did eventually come out and when they did, they were missing items that we'd asked for) and we waited another 15 mins for a new steak and sides. The second steak was cooked properly. The loaded potato was not good to me, under salted and had an odd texture. The asparagus was good. The garlic shrimp, while tasty, was incredibly greasy. Also, it's an open air restaurant and they don't (or barely) use air conditioning. It was HOT. Enough to make us both sweat throughout our meal. This meal experience was not worth the $300+ we spent and I wish we had chosen a different restaurant for our last night in Hawaii.

This was not the restaurant experience we expected for the cost and menu. We went to celebrate our anniversary and expected an upscale steakhouse dining experience, but were disappointed. My husband compared it to a tourist version of a Sizzler that seemed to be aimed mostly giving asian tourists a "steakhouse" experience while on vacation. The food was okay but didnt taste like it was seasoned at all. For example the mashed potatoes were literally just mashed potato, they didnt seem to be made with any butter or milk or seasoning. The steaks were good cuts of meat but were bland. The ambiance and atmosphere were contrived. Alexis, our server was pretty good. She didnt take any opportunity to upset any add-ons. Had she asked i would have added on blue cheese. We also had the wedge salad and mac-n-cheese. They were okay but not stellar.

Incredible filet with flavorful corn on the cob fragments The stuffed portobello mushroom was also delicious, it has a nice smoked bacon flavor to it Garlic shrimp was ok, I wouldn’t get again. Hamachi (yellow tail) crudo was pretty good but I enjoy steak more lol The iceberg salad was really good Portobello mushrooms were too salty, asparagus was ok, the watermelon soft serve has an artificial guava flavor my friends liked that I didn’t since it reminded me of potpourri

If you’re in Hawaii and looking for a top-notch dining experience, look no further than Aloha Steak House! I had the pleasure of sitting at the bar during my visit, and everything from the meal to the cocktails was absolutely fantastic. The bartender was not only friendly but also a true master of his craft, serving up creative drinks that perfectly complemented my meal. The timing of the dishes was impeccable, with everything coming out at just the right moment, allowing me to fully enjoy each course. The steaks were out of this world—tender, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. If you’re in the area and want an amazing meal in a great atmosphere, Aloha Steak House is a must-visit!

Morton's The Steakhouse is an upscale chain known for its aged prime beef, seafood, and traditional steakhouse dishes. Since its establishment in Chicago in 1978, it has been a benchmark for steakhouse dining. The menu features USDA prime-aged beef with classic cuts and special offerings like wagyu filet and ribeye. The restaurant offers a cozy setting with views of the nearby beach park at Ala Moana Shopping Center.
I have to say Mortons Steak House is truly the best restaurant I’ve had to pleasure to sit down at. Andrew the General Manager is amazing. I lost my wedding band the night me and my partner celebrated our 14th anniversary and the staff made sure it was a memorable dinner. The team secured my ring in their safe and when coming in to retrieve it Andrew met us at the front podium and invited us to the bar to have a couple drinks. We ended up eating dinner there again at the bar and once again rhe service was amazing. This will now be my go to place for the best steak and impeccable service possible. Mahalo Nui Loa Andrew and his fabulous team!! Keoni

We celebrated my brother’s birthday at Morton’s in Honolulu, and it was such a memorable experience from start to finish. The service was truly top-notch: attentive, warm, and made us feel so welcome the entire time. The food? Absolute art. Every dish was beautifully presented and packed with flavor. From the steaks to the sides to dessert, everything was cooked to perfection. What really made the evening extra special was the thoughtful personal touches. They gave us a birthday card for my brother and even captured a few photos for us to keep. Such a sweet and unexpected gesture! If you’re looking for an elevated dining experience in Honolulu, Morton’s is absolutely worth it. Perfect for celebrations or a special night out. 🥩🎉📸

Our visit to Morton’s The Steakhouse was absolutely exceptional from start to finish. We had reservations to celebrate my girlfriends birthday. The atmosphere was elegant yet comfortable, the food was perfectly prepared, and the service truly made the night special. A huge shoutout to Trent, our server, who went above and beyond to make our dining experience unforgettable. He was professional, attentive, and had excellent recommendations for starters, the steaks and desserts. Every detail was taken care of, and his friendly personality made us feel genuinely welcomed and appreciated. From the perfectly cooked steaks to the decadent desserts, everything exceeded our expectations. Morton’s has always been known for quality, but Trent’s top-notch service made this visit stand out even more.

Came for HH. Beef sliders were so tender and juicy, it was my favorite. Shrimp louis was very good as well as the crab cakes. Short rib tacos was just ok to me but the rest of my family liked it. Their chicken sliders were just ok. Hawaii was so humid last week (Sept) and their elevator does not have AC, it felt like a sauna inside. I cant imagine getting stuck in that elevator if it malfunctioned!

This was my second time here for dinner. We got dinner and a show tonight! The set menu was delicious. The service was great. Reservations are recommended. The parkibg lot on the second floor leads to the elevator to the restaurant.

Really difficult to find. We even called and they acted like we should just know exactly where it is located. Once we found the mysterious hidden elevator that you have to take up to the restaurant we finally arrived. We submitted an update on Google maps for the pin location because it appears that the restaurant has not actually claimed their business on Google to properly manage their location. The steak was disappointing. We have tried many steakhouses around the country and this is on the lower end. We would not recommend Morton’s. Our server was very nice but unfortunately the food was not.

We went to Morton's Steakhouse early Friday evening around 4:45-5:00 pm, we were greeted by a server outside the elevator she welcomed us with a smile and a little chit-chat when going up to the restaurant. As we stepped into Morton's we were welcomed by Andrew, I asked him if you accept walk-ins knowingly it's a must to have a reservation. He said yes we do but, kindly asked for our help to help him if we could do it in two hours because those who made reservations will be coming over, we definitely said yes, I shook his hand and thank Andrew for being very gracious to get us a table. We walked to our table and sat down. We were greeted and welcomed by Diane our server she was very nice, helpful, patient and professional. She explained how everything is ala carte and handed us the menu, gave us time to look it over, we ordered a New York steak for my wife and Ribeye for myself, sides were mashed potatoes and spinach with mushrooms. The bread was delicious for starters then our dinner arrived and everything was delicious, I also ordered a glass of their house cabrenet 6oz which was very good. For dessert we had Key lime pie with coffee also delicious. All in all we had a great time here in Morton's Steakhouse. A Big MAHALO to Andrew who gave us the time to experience how wonderful this establishment is, to Diane thank you again for everything and thank you to the server that welcomed us outside the elevator and chit-chat we had. Thank you and we'll see you again next time with a reservation. P.S. We did it in 2 hours and never felt rushed. Have a great weekend 🤙🤙

World Class Dining Experience, Phenomenal Flavors, the pinnacle of food in my opinion. The food was unbelievably delicious. The service was blown away as they consistently kept up with making sure you had the experience of a life time. Making sure you were always cared for in even the smallest detail possible. You would say it is unreal the experience. We had the 3 courses with an amazing flavors. Each dish made to perfection. By far the best service I ever received in dining experience

The quality of the meat was top-notch—perfectly cooked, flavorful, and tender. You can tell they take their steak seriously here. The service was just as impressive: attentive, friendly, and on point without ever being overbearing. Every staff member made us feel welcome and taken care of. And the atmosphere? Elegant but relaxed, with a great vibe that made the whole evening feel special. Whether you’re celebrating something or just in the mood for a great meal, this place delivers on every level. A Five-Star Celebration at StripSteak Waikiki My family and I recently celebrated my daughter's birthday at StripSteak Waikiki, and it was an unforgettable experience from start to finish. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was a perfect blend of sophisticated and welcoming. The restaurant has a vibrant energy without being too loud, making it ideal for a special occasion. The food was absolutely amazing. Every dish was prepared to perfection, from the appetizers to the main courses. The steaks were cooked exactly as requested, and the quality was top-notch. It was truly a meal that we will be talking about for a long time. What really stood out, however, was the service. Our server was incredibly attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely friendly. They went out of their way to make my daughter's birthday feel special, adding to the overall festive mood of the evening. We had such a wonderful time and I would highly recommend StripSteak Waikiki for anyone looking to celebrate a special occasion or simply enjoy a fantastic meal with great service and a stellar atmosphere.

Upscale Steakhouse Experience with Impeccable Service! Had an exceptional dining experience at this upscale steakhouse, and I'm still raving about it! From the moment we walked in, the service was top-notch – attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly. Our server was fantastic, guiding us through the menu and making excellent recommendations. *The Food:* - *Wagyu Seared on Hot Stone*: ABSOLUTE PERFECTION! The Wagyu steak was cooked to perfection, and the addition of yuzu paste took it to a whole new level. The hot stone presentation added a nice touch. - *French Fries*: Oh. My. God. The fries were CRISPY on the outside, SOFT on the inside, and the sauces were a game-changer. I could've made a meal out of just the fries and sauces! -*Caesar salad”: it was done with excellence. I would call it wedge salad since you must use your stake knife to cut the leaves. I quite enjoyed such a different way of eating the salad. -*Beef tartare*: you must have it was fresh, delicious with the toasted bread. -*Sea bass* - the star of the show. Must try! Delicious and decadent flavor of the sea-bass and sauce it was like fireworks of taste buds and pleasures of the tastes. My friend who loves meat, said it was better than the wagyu steak. Desserts: Pineapple flambé The presentation was STUNNING – a true "wow" factor. However, the taste was a bit bland for my liking. Perhaps a bit more flavor or a different dessert option might elevate it to perfection. *Ambiance:* The upscale atmosphere and décor made us feel like we were in a high-end restaurant. A great change of pace from the beach bars and casual eats. *Overall:* If you're looking for a fancy night out with great service and top-quality food, this steakhouse is a MUST-VISIT. Be sure to order the Wagyu steak and those incredible French fries! We'll definitely be back. *Recommendations:* - Try the Wagyu steak with yuzu paste – trust us, it's worth it! - Order a side of those amazing French fries – you won't regret it! - Consider visiting for a special occasion or date night – the ambiance is perfect for it. Can't wait to come back and try more of their menu!

I ordered the filet medium-rare. It came back to the table clearly overcooked. The outsides were like leather. I showed it to the manager on duty who took it from the table. Didn't even make it to the kitchen came back and told me to cut it in the middle. So he could see it. And when I did, it was clearly overcooked and he said, well, I can go put it back on the grill. If you want and I said, but it's overcooked and he made such a big deal and everybody was staring, we had a party of 9. I decided I didn't want the attention. So I tried to send it back, but the manager refused to make me another steak. Another guest seated next to me at my table ordered the sea bass. It came in a bowl with a big chip in the bowl. She was concerned that the chip might be in her food. So she sent it back all they did was put the food in another bowl. So the chip could have still been in her food very, very unprofessional. I was surprised to see that. But there was a michelin chef at that restaurant. When I got home and looked it up. I didn't pay eighty one dollars for a piece of meat that I could only eat.Half of. What's more disappointing is the manager refused to recook my.Steak and tried to tell me that I was wrong. Not a good look

We recently hosted our wedding reception dinner at Stripsteak Waikiki and could not have been more impressed. From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel warmly welcomed and attended to every detail with genuine care and professionalism. The food was phenomenal and every dish exceeded our expectations (we went with the 'Stripsteak' private dining menu). Service was impeccable throughout, from the event coordinator who was in touch pre and post event and the restaurant staff, and we truly appreciated the seamless coordination and thoughtful touches. Stripsteak exceeded all of our expectations and helped make our special day unforgettable. We recommend this restaurant for any celebration or special occasion - you won’t be disappointed! Thank you, Stripsteak Waikiki, for an amazing experience we’ll cherish forever.

we stopped by at Ruth Chris‘s location in Hawaii for our anniversary dinner for me and my husband. Everything was spectacular. The food was super delicious. The steaks were super juicy. The service was top-tier. Everything about the steakhouse is wonderful.

Dined at Ruth’s Chris last night and had a very enjoyable experience. The price point and service were reasonable, right around mid-level for what you’d expect. The lobster and steak combination was excellent, and the Caesar salad was fresh and flavorful. The warm bread served at the start of the meal was also a standout. For dessert, we tried the Chocolate Sin Cake. While it was definitely a calorie bomb, it was absolutely delicious. Overall, the quality of food and service made it well worth the price, and I left feeling very satisfied.

We went there around 5pm. Initially, we thought about ordering from happy hour menu, but then we suddenly craved a porterhouse, so we changed our plan. The porterhouse was pretty good with a tender texture, though it was a bit salty and peppery. Overall, it was a satisfying experience.

Excellent Food! Every dish had its own wonderful distinct flavor. The service was sub par. There seemed to be a shortage of waitstaff. We sat for 30+ minutes with a glass of water waiting for cocktails that never came, then another 20+ minutes because the order had never been requested. The rescue waiter did a good job but we were tired and very hungry by the time our meal arrived.

The experience and service was exceptional. We love testing out exceptional steak houses. We were recommended this restaurant. One thing we were surprised they don’t measure the temperature of the meat. We ordered the rib eye and the porterhouse steak for 3. It lacked a bit of salt and for the price we paid we have had better steaks back in Australia. For desert we had crème brûlée which was amazing and decent serving. Also, found our favourite wine Palermo which we tried in Singapore and was surprised to see on the menu. Overall a lovely experience

We've never missed a visit dining at Wolfgang each time we're in HNL almost every couple of years. Our kids pretty much grew up with this and a Waikiki dining they always look forward to. It's like a family tradition now for them. The steaks are consistently superb tasting and the experience is top notch world class. This time, we had their New York steak happy hour with choice of wine and with sides, our default, mashed potatoes and creamed spinach. The size of the NY steak for $84 is good for 2 adults so order 2 for 4, etc. The only thing this time was our server immediately served the steak on to our plate before we even had a chance to take a nicer photo. But, will give it a pass. LOL. Ordered oysters to start. Their bread was also amazing, we had to ask for another batch! The tables are well arranged and while they're close, there's enough space to move and you are not shoulder to shoulder with other customers. Wolfgang also has Lanai sitting outside which also adds to the experience. They know how to handle waits at the lobby. Kudos to the chef, staff, and servers. We look forward to our next visit to Waikiki and dine here. Until next time!

When the wait staff tell you portions are to share listen. The filet is at least 12 oz which explains the 100.00+ price tag. By its self it was tender and juicy but needed the pepercorn gravy for depth of flavor. Salmon and chocolate mouse cake nothing to write home about. The crab cake with the tarter sauce was realy good. Over all not worth the price, realy paying to eat at Ole Wolfgangs establishment. I was expecting a little more.

Been going here for years our younger daughter would eat here for breakfast lunch and dinner every day if we let her. We’ve had amazing experience with Timmy, Dean, Andrew and Alison and everybody’s very nice. The food is consistently great delicious. But the people are more important. There is a bar, but we haven’t sat at the bar before it seems to be pretty popular. desserts are pretty amazing too, but our favorites are ribeye steak chopped salad onion soup mashed potatoes and our 12-year-old loves the creamed spinach now.

It had been six years since my last visit, before the pandemic. We visited for our final dinner in Hawaii, and the food was superb, of course, but the service and atmosphere were also truly wonderful. Particularly, the hospitality of our server, I believe his name was Kevin san, was outstanding and made for the best dinner. We will definitely visit again soon! From the Japanese gentleman who received the wine opener.

Not a long wait. The waiter Keith and our drinks were top notch! Unfortunately, the food was disappointing especially for the cost. The steak was overcooked, the sides were very bland. I used the restroom and there wasn’t any toilet paper. I had higher expectations.

Have been going to Wolfgang Steakhouse but first time reviewing. They always deliver 5 stars. Their servers are professional and know how to balance justice right amount of conversation. The steak salad has been my go to for lunch. Delicious focaccia bread too! Nice way to treat yourself if you’re walking Waikiki and looking for a nice relaxing and more upscale lunch. Perfect if you’re at Sheraton or Royal Hawaiian as just a short walk.

Great service and wonderful staff. Lots of options on the menu. Great wine list. I also got a dirty martini and they brought me regular and blue cheese stuffed olives 🤗🤗🤗 Be sure to save room for dessert. They had a dessert special: s’mores - their version has graham cracker sponge cake, dark chocolate creme and white chocolate ice cream 😋😋😋 .

Outstanding service, staff, ambiance, and the food is beyond delicious. Every detail was wonderful. My only critique was no Christmas music on Christmas day. Other than that, perfection. Even the WEBSITE and reserving a table was a breeze (compared to 5 other hotel / restaurants on the beach). After days of frustration, I found BLT Steak. So glad we did. A memorable Christmas meal thanks to the Trump Tower Wakikki Beach. Thank you!

Perfectly cooked steaks and delicious sides served ala cart. We opted for the special combo of a 16oz NY strip served with one side and a glass of wine. All meals start with their famous popovers with fresh butter and sea salt. So much food we practically had a whole meal to take home. Great atmosphere super friendly service.

Wanted so badly to enjoy our experience as we were celebrating a birthday. As soon as we walked in we quickly realized there is absolutely no dress code. Someone leaving while we entered was in board shorts and a cotton tee (this has no bearing on the rating, just that we were concerned over wearing black denim meeting dress code). When we were seated we were tucked away in a corner that was slightly dingy with lots of bugs - we even sent back a drink for gnats in it. There was a moth that kept circling and some sort of flying bug in nearly every light fixtur, I even managed to catch bugs on video. The staff was courteous but not nearly as attentive as I would expect in an "upscale, swanky" joint. Service did not compare to other steakhouses we have frequented, the food took a long time to arrive and when it did, we were left waiting for things like the butter for crab legs, utensils for dessert, etc. I ordered the prefix menu and my husband had the lamb chops. The proportions were very filling I even shared with my toddler with no problem. This seems like a more ideal location for happy hour or girls night out for for cocktails than it is for a celebration or celebratory dinner.

We went on a whim after a friend's recommendation. The prices are not for the faint of heart but the food, service, and atmosphere is amazing. Sally was very knowledgeable and even offered pairing suggestions that were better than the menu. We will be back again for our next special occasion or another whim....

Absolutely amazing! From the very beginning entire experience was above and beyond, lady that works as a host is very professional. Waiters, assistant waiters, bartender, chefs and lovely manager Beaux ( forgive me if I said it incorrectly) they all know what they're doing. Good recommendations, best oysters I had on a long time, good presented nicely, portions are just enough. Small advice, change the chairs outside, they are pretty low. We would definitely come back when we are in Ohau.

Servers were good though they forgot a couple items that they "didn't hear" us order and although I had called to add on people to my party earlier in the day they still had the table set for the original number. Steaks were tasty but cooked medium well when we asked for medium and sides were just ok. Overall a nice dining experience but nothing that would keep me going back for more.

Ruth's Chris Steak House is an upscale chain known for its sizzling, butter-topped beef served in an elegant setting. While it may be on the pricier side, it's a perfect spot to celebrate special occasions like birthdays or anniversaries. In addition to their perfectly cooked succulent steaks, they also offer a variety of other delicious dishes, with their crab cakes being highly recommended. The restaurant is popular among the business crowd and exudes class.
We had the best experience at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse with Derek as our server. Everyone was wonderful. They made sure to ask about special occasions to help us celebrate our anniversary. He helped make sure we always had a drink in hand, offered to take our photo, and did a great job recommending a steak cut and explaining what makes their steak special. Our medium rare filet and New York Strips were cooked phenomenally. The best steak we've had. The garlic smashed potatoes and asparagus were the die for. The atmosphere of the restaurant just made for an overall incredible experience for a date night.

I wish this review was more positive as we had a wonderful experience overall. But the food was a bit disappointing. The Tomahawk steak was cooked properly and tasted great, but the Porterhouse steak was overcooked and tough to eat. Some of the appetizers and side dishes tasted off as well. The garlic shrimp and calamari both had an old/turning taste to them, which were masked by the sauces and deep fried batter. The garlic mashed and Au Gratin potatoes were very tasty. But the creamed spinach and asparagus sides had a slight odor to them so we didn't enjoy them. As we spent almost $600 for this dinner, I'm disappointed with the food. Tracy is a wonderful manager who helped us get a table after we were promised a reservation in error. Marc is an AMAZING server and was attentive and charming the entire time. Our whole family loved Marc! This review would have been perfect if the food was up to the standard.

First time at this location. The service was superb. Gavin, David, Derek and Israel made our dining experience exceptional. While extremely busy they were attentive. We started with cocktails at the bar then forwarded to our table. We had the Tomahawk for two with cream spinach and mash potatoes. ABSOLUTELY delicious. Atmosphere cozy and beautiful. Reservations recommended .

I made a reservation expecting a top-notch experience, but this place turned out to be a huge letdown. Yes, we were seated quickly and the server was polite, but that’s about the only positive thing I can say. I ordered the combo with the New York strip, petit filet, and shrimp. The New York strip was fine—thick and cooked medium-rare as requested. But the petit filet was absolutely unacceptable. Instead of a proper filet, they brought out two thin slices of meat that were completely overcooked to medium-well. It was dry, tough, and almost inedible. I specifically ordered medium-rare, and what I got was the exact opposite. This is supposed to be a famous steakhouse in Hawaii, yet they couldn’t even get a basic steak order right. Serving two thin, overcooked pieces of “filet” is beyond disappointing—it feels like they cut corners, and it ruined the whole meal. Honestly, I left angry and frustrated. For a place with this kind of reputation, the experience was shockingly bad.

First of all, I recommend you go on a Saturday. Make a reservation and ask specifically to sit in Aljay’s section. He is an amazing server, super attentive and very knowledgeable about the menu. Tell him Steve and Jenn from New York say hello. We had the seafood tower to start, amazing and fresh. Then we had the T bone, lobster mac and cheese and garlic mashed potatoes. All were amazing and we highly recommend. The management is great as well, they stopped by the table multiple times.

Went for a birthday dinner with my kid. Ordered the Chefs fall special ( 8oz with two jumbo stuffed shrimp and vegetables. Plus a side of potatoes. My kid got a 8oz with ceaser salad. Both steaks ordered medium well. Both came out medium. I only seen my waiter twice. Once to take my order and other to ask about dessert. They were busy. However, all of the other tables seemed to be serviced in a timely manner. The lady helping my waiter (sorry I forgot her name. Maybe Emily) was great. Would I go back? Probably not. Before you guys ask. Yes I still tipped 20%

I'm satisfied with the price and the service. the staff member, andra? I don't know if the name is right, but they were very kind and spoke a little cute Korean, so I felt at ease. It tastes good, but the service is also the best!

My husband and I decided to celebrate our anniversary at Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse in Honolulu, and it was everything we’d hoped for—and more. The restaurant truly lives up to its reputation. The steaks were cooked to perfection, tender, juicy, and rich with that signature buttery flavor. The sizzling plates added a fun and dramatic touch. For sides, we chose the au gratin potatoes and the creamed spinach. The potatoes were slightly al dente and could’ve used a bit more time in the oven, but they were still delicious. The creamed spinach was absolutely perfect—rich, savory, and comforting. We also shared their house steak salad, which was crisp, fresh, and beautifully presented with butter lettuce and a tasty ranch dressing. Our server, Luan, was exceptional—attentive, friendly, and professional without hovering. He made the evening feel extra special by surprising us with a lovely strawberry flan dessert at the end of our meal, complete with “Happy Anniversary” written on the plate and rose petals all around. Such a thoughtful, elegant touch. The ambience was warm and lively, yet intimate enough for conversation. We noticed several other couples celebrating special occasions, which added to the romantic atmosphere. Overall, Ruth’s Chris Honolulu exceeded our expectations. The service, food, and presentation were all top-notch, and the prices felt fair for the quality and experience. We give it five stars across the board and highly recommend it for any special celebration.

Buzz's Original Steak House is a laid-back restaurant located near Kailua Beach on Oahu's east side. The tiki hut-style space captures the spirit of old Hawaii, offering a surf 'n' turf menu and strong mai tais. With a rustic atmosphere and savory American favorites, it's an ideal spot for lunch or dinner. Customers praise the delicious scampi salad, Jack Daniels burgers, and Ahi wrap while enjoying the peaceful beachfront setting.
We’ve eaten here several times and it’s be excellent every time. Their steaks are cooked perfectly, appetizers are delicious, and it feels like old Hawaii. Their steaks service is great and there’s always a good variety of food. The desserts are yummy and it’s across the street from one of the best beaches. Ask for the president’s table!

We stopped for a late lunch after visiting Kailua Beach Park. The restaurant is right across the street from the beach, so you get a nice view and ocean breeze if you sit outside. The inside is a bit dark but charming. Luckily, there was outdoor seating with a covered area, so you didn’t have to deal with the sun. The food was good, and the drinks were strong, just the way we like them. I had a Caesar salad, and my uncle-in-law had the spinach scampi salad. The shrimp looked amazing! Both meals were delicious and filling. I highly recommend this place for a quick bite after a day at the beach. The prices were reasonable too. And the servers were all friendly and helpful. This place is perfect for families, singles, or couples after a long day at the beach. Enjoy!

Absolute must-go if you're on the east side or heading to Kailua Beach! The calamari steak is perfectly tender, and the lemon butter sauce just melts in your mouth. The warm banana bread pudding with vanilla ice cream is also a must -- I get it every single time! Heather was our waitress last time we went and she was super energetic and upbeat. If you like cocktails -get the Mai Tai or BFRD! There is a 2 drink limit - that's all you need! By the second one I was calling her feather instead of Heather ‍ We dined out doors. Very chill, laid back- directly across the street from Kailua beach. Parking can sometimes be tough, but it's worth it.

After spending a couple hours across the street at the beach, it was time for lunch and we looked up this place and figured why not give it a try. We left our car parked at the beach, walked across the street and were able to be seated right away outside. Nicole was our waitress, she was very friendly and attentive. She rattled off the lunch specials with all sounded amazing but my wife and I had made our mind up on a wrap and a salad. Her wrap came with a tomato chicken pesto soup that was out of this world. I had the buzzes Caesar salad with chicken and it was wonderful. Place has good atmosphere, friendly service, and a good selection of food.

If I could do more stars I would. Hands down to this restaurant. Best one yet that I've tried on the island. Pricey but well worth it and would diffently go back for sure! And they don't skimp on the drinks either.

What am amazing experience! Stopped here for dinner, it is basically the only restaurant across from Lanikai Beach and always has a crowd. Even though we went early on a weekday, the parking lot was packed and there was a short wait to be seated. The inside decor felt a bit out-dated but meant to keep the historic vibes for a restaurant open for over 60 years. Staff was very attentive and patiently explained all the specials and recommendations. Loved the misoyaki steak special and the calamari steak. Looking forward to visiting again in the near future
Nate C — Google review
After a 90-minute wait, I can confidently say it was absolutely worth. The staff kept things smooth by offering complimentary drinks to tide us over, which hit the spot on a warm evening. The steak is tender, perfectly cooked steak. Highly recommend after you enjoy the Lanikai beach.

Nestled at the base of the Ko'olau Mountains, Haleiwa Joe's Haiku Gardens offers a serene and picturesque setting for both weddings and dining. The venue features beautiful botanical gardens and an open-air Tahitian Chapel, providing dreamy backdrops for intimate ceremonies. Couples can choose from various wedding packages, ranging from minimalist options to comprehensive packages with added services like a ceremony musician and wedding planner.
The food was delicious our party ordered Coconut Shrimp, Prime rib, Steak and Salmon. The service was very good. We had a ten minute wait to be seated. The restaurant opens at 4pm and closes at 9pm. We arrived and got in line at 3:20. There is beautiful view from every table. The garden downstairs is very green with beautiful flowers and trees around it. This area would be lovely for an event.

We went here at 430 pm on a Friday as a couple and got seated within 30 minutes. Walking in there was a weird smell like years-old mildew under the carpets. It was unbearable. Luckily we got sat on the outside part of the restaurant. The bread and appetizers were good, nothing special though. The crab dip tasted mostly like cream cheese. Both entrees were flavorless. I had the lamb papardelle and the sauce on it was just some oil. I needed a few hefty pinches of salt on top of the dish to get and semblance of flavor out of it. The roasted chicken was juicy at least, but still not an ounce of seasoning, luckily the pineapple and veggies with it had flavor. Finally, the drinks were tasty, but that is because they were mostly mixer/juice/sugar. For as expensive as they were I would expect more alcohol in them. I would save your time, money, and nostrils by going somewhere else.

Haleiwa Joe’s at Haiku Gardens is truly a gem! The food is outstanding — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. The views overlooking the gardens and mountains are breathtaking, making the whole experience unforgettable. The staff provides excellent customer service, always friendly and attentive, which really adds to the warm atmosphere. The only downside is the wait time for seating, but once you’re in, it’s absolutely worth it. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a perfect mix of great food, stunning scenery, and top-notch service!

This place was a gem in the jungle. I went there with a group of 6 on a weeknight. We only waited maybe 30 min before we were seated in a table. In the mean time we were able to get served drinks by a bar top table. We were seated in the middle of the restaurant and was very easy to have a conversation, as it wasn't too loud. I ordered the Ceviche and the table side steak dish with a berry creme brulee desert. The table side steak with gravy smelled and tasted amazing. It was cooked a perfect med-rare per my request. The ceviche was fresh and delicious and the creme brulee had a great flavor with a nice crust. To top it all off the view and the service was top notch. Highly recommend this place.

What an amazing experience. We came early because they don't take reservations. Got here at 3:20 on a Saturday because they open at 4. We were seated in the first group as soon as they opened. Ambience and scenery is amazing! Service top notch and the food was exquisite! I had the pork Loin special and the wife had the grilled blue marlin special. Perfect cook on both. Cocktails were great. I will definitely be back for the prime rib. The price turned me off at $74.95 until I saw it come out. The cut is between 2 and 3 pounds per serving! It was enormous! The restaurant is about a half hour drive from Honolulu, so very pleasant experience all around. Don't sleep on this one!
Alex A — Google review
Wow, between this and the North Shore restaurant, this place definitely has the better atmosphere and view. The menu is almost the same, but the garden and mountain backdrop make the experience extra special. They don’t take reservations, so it’s best to arrive early. I also liked that they had a separate seating area for appetizers and drinks while we waited, which was a nice touch since the wait for a group was pretty long.
V N — Google review
I love my prime rib steak cooked exactly how I want it — perfectly done and flavorful! The portion is huge, so I definitely recommend sharing it with someone unless you’re really hungry and not ordering anything else. We came for dinner, so unfortunately we couldn’t enjoy the garden view, but I’d love to come back again before dusk to experience it. Overall, great food and worth returning for!

Haleiwa Joe’s in Haiku is a beautiful spot surrounded by lush greenery—it feels like you're dining right in the middle of a tropical garden. The views alone make it worth the visit, especially around sunset. The food is excellent. The steak is a good size and cooked just right, and the seafood is fresh and flavorful. Drinks are strong and tasty, and the staff is friendly and attentive even when it's packed. It does get busy, so getting there early is a good idea since they don’t take reservations. While you wait, you can walk around the garden and enjoy the scenery. Great place for a relaxed dinner with friends and family.

Chart House Waikiki is a classic steak and seafood restaurant that offers stunning marina views and nightly entertainment. Established in 1969 by surfing legend Joey Cabell, this landmark features a midcentury fine dining concept with an extensive menu including oysters Rockefeller, shrimp cocktail, bison tenderloin, poke, macadamia-nut-crusted mahimahi, and the popular 'Joey's ahi mignon.' The restaurant also offers early bird specials and a weekend brunch.
Great spot for brunch! Service great, food great (thicker potatoes could have been cooked a bit more), great coffee, tea was a little watered down, hostess… could have similar energy to the rest of the team, but not knocking a star for that. Overall great experience! Been here a few times but always wait to come back because of reasons not listed here. Today was a great surprise! We will be back sooner than later this time. See you next Sunday! Open for brunch on Sundays now 10-2pm. Delicious. There was live music, they validate parking (still paid $5), and Kaimana discount. Highly recommend!

We ordered the filet mignon with a baked potato and the prime steak with garlic mash. Overall, this was really good food. I would have liked more veggies (only came with 3 asparagus links). Otherwise, the live music and vibe of the restaurant were great! The server (Jaime) was friendly and attentive.

Chart House located at the Marina in Waikiki is amazing. Our server Tony and his assistant Mike are a wonderful team. From our cocktails, appetizers, and main course…. Just incredible. The food and service is exactly what I imagined Hawaii to be and more.

Really enjoyed the chart house. Our concierge at the hilton recommended it. We had a marina view table booked for us Most importantly the food was really good, For starters I had a delicious shrimp cocktail and my wife had.... French onion soup (we can get that at home easily). Then onto ahi (yellow fin tuna ) filet which was awesome with the white rice. My wife really enjoyed it too and Amaurey or servery was uoer helpful. Really recommend here!

A great dinner option by the marina - next to the prince Waikiki hotel. Food and service was perfect and the dragonfruit mojito is our favorite cocktail of the entire week trip so far. We highly recommend for a couple or family wanting a nice sit down dinner!
Michael S — Google review
This place was old school cool. The atmosphere was timeless and so was the menu. Every plate was hearty and flavorful. They say not to order a steak at a seafood place, but the steak was a table favorite. The tiger shrimp is another recommended dish. The kids menu had several options for the little ones as well. The Catch had perfect views of the harbor and the location near Prince is easy to find, and easy to spot with the red door.
Amy R — Google review
This bar/restaurant must rank high for entertainment bc my food was mediocre at best. The crab cake tasted good but had no jump lump crabmeat. The jumbo stuffed shrimp weren’t jumbo and the stuffing was mostly a breading, it was supposed to be a Dungeness crab stuffing. There was a live band playing and the crowd loved them!
Davis D — Google review
We celebrated our wedding anniversary here several years ago and had a wonderful experience. Because of that, we recently returned to celebrate again. After being seated at a table that had a great view of the marina, we were given an incredibly thoughtful anniversary card! Our server, Bruno, was very attentive and very helpful. Our meals were prepared just as we asked. There were many dessert choices and we thoroughly enjoyed finishing a super meal with such decadent creations. Chart House made our special occasion even more special! Mahalo nui loa to everyone at the Chart House!

Chuck's Cellar is a casual restaurant that offers a nostalgic 70s vibe with nightly live music and dimly lit, quirky decor. The establishment features a bottomless salad bar, serving up classic favorites like ranch dressing. While the prime rib and steak offerings are on the pricier side, they are well-flavored and cooked to order. The staff is known for their pleasant service, adding to the overall dining experience.
Let’s start this out with WOW! This is a hidden gem that needs to be exposed. The atmosphere and food were all top notch, but what really made this experience incredible was the staff. They really take care of you and it is just all around awesome service here. The food was great and the live music really sets the mood. Come casual and enjoy a fine meal. This is Hawaii at its finest. Will definitely be back here.

This place is a hoot! Think 70s with a lounge club singer and equally nostalgic decor. Once you adjust to the dimly lit interior just sit back and enjoy. This place has a salad bar (yes, it still exists) that’s pretty good with your ranch dressing (sorry hipsters). The prime rib and steak offerings while not cheap (not much food is in Waikiki) were flavored well and cooked to order. The staff were equally pleasant and made the overall experience even better. So if you want to go back in time and enjoy a pretty good steak this is the place to go in Waikiki.
Perks A — Google review
Old school local restaurant! Loved the dark atmosphere with all the quirkiness! Had a short wait as we arrived right before it started getting busy. When we called there was no wait, then about a 20 min wait when we got there 15 mins later- Almost missed the entrance! They Do Not take reservations. 1st come, 1st served. Ordered Blue Hawaiis at the bar and shortly had a table. All entrees come with a soup/salad bar and fresh bread. Hubby had steak and I had one of the specials, petite filet with scallops, all cooked as ordered, medium on steaks. Before I heard the specials, I was going to order the prime rib with shrimp. Unfortunately, I didn't find out till the next day they are known for prime rib, might have gone with 1st choice. Still, the place is very casual, very comfortable and had quite a few items to choose from. Waiters and drink servers were all pleasant and that night we had the pleasure of having live music from a lovely pianist. It reminds me of some of the old restaurants we have in Vegas. Very nostalgic, full of wonder, great food and atmosphere!

If you love the 60´s and 70´s this is the place to go. If you´re not looking for a great dinner that is. Food is mediocre. Had a Surf N´Turf and the meat was...well.. not great. Fish was overcooked. Salads bar (!) was worse than a school cafeteria. However - what totally saves this place is the atmosphere and the bar! Great service. Funny bartender and cool drinks. Everything breaths 1970! Also the live band was a nice bonus. Come here to drink and hang out.

Great little lounge downstairs! Yummy mai tais and great music. We had a lot of fun here. Friendly staff!
L S — Google review
Atmosphere was very nice. Live music was great! I'd rather go here for drinks and the atmosphere and skip the food honestly. My amaretto stoned sour was perfect! Food was ok and it was really pricey. I had the Petit sirloin and ordered medium rare. Steak was more medium and pretty tough. Mashed potatoes tasted like instant, kind of smooth and had that watery flavor mixed with real garlic. They did have a nice salad bar that came with the meal.
Shawnae B — Google review
A solid steak house in Honolulu. The salad bar is cool but not huge. Steak (prime rib) was excellent and their forte. Service was good and quick. Couldn't quite give it 5 starts but was quite good.

The best meal I’ve ever had! We did the chefs tasting menu and loved every course! They really know how to balance textures and flavors. Highly recommend the wine pairing as well. When picked up the menu, you glanced thru everything and you think you know what to expect and you would be surprised. I did. I thought it's just fried fish and I was surprised. I thought I ordered shaved ice and I was surprised. I thought I ordered crab cakes and expected like what crab cakes like out there and once again, I was surprised. Crab cakes - I ordered the crab cakes, and it was excellent. It's not like those usual crab cakes where it filled with battered and have more starch than crab meat. This one is all crab meat inside. My wife ended up ate 2/3 of them. Mochi salad with crispy chicken skin - I don't like salad but I thought I tried. The end result was I finished 70% of the salad because it was delectable. The dressing was spicy, but the persimmon sliced and the tomatoes with the greens were just perfect. I never thought I could like a salad that much. Short ribs - The meat fell off the bone... Well, there was no bone but it's definitely tender. Potatoes were nicely crisp and the foie gras was nicely seared. Mochi crusted kampachi - Surprisingly crunchy fish. Very fresh. This is one fine dine dish. Impressive. Strawberry shaved ice - It's not really shaved ice, it's more like shaved strawberries and the coconut tapioca was very good. So coconut-y. This is one satisfied fine dine experience. Very impressed that you find something with this quality in Hawai'i.

Note: I am reviewing this as a fine dining restaurant, relative to other fine dining restaurants I have been to. Compared to a normal restaurant, this is certainly a 5 star experience. I went in for the tasting menu at open, and had a reservation for the bar. The location is kinda weird, being right next to auto dealerships. I hope that the savings from location rent are passed onto the consumer. I did the 5 course tasting menu; however, I forgot to take a picture of the tenderlion. They accommodated my shellfish allergy, and did a substitution which I appreciated. The food was excellent, certainly showed off the quality of the chefs and was on par with what I expect from chefs claiming experience at the French Laundry. My only complaint on the food was with the first course, which was a soft boiled egg with caviar and wasabi. At the end it just became too eggy, I wish there was more depth of flavor. I got the wine pairing, which I would not recommend for others to get. The wine was fine, and I assume being on Oahu it's not as easy to get the quality wine I am used to in places like California. The cocktail menu seemed good, and the other patrons were enjoying them. So I would use the money on the wine pairing to get 2 or 3 cocktails instead. Overall. Great food, certainly a good option for a celebration or just enjoying fine dining in Honolulu. The chefs clearly know what they are doing and I wish them success in their future endeavors!

Our waiter Darren was very knowledgeable and friendly in providing recommendations. The food was absolutely delicious. We ordered the unagi butterfish, the paella, the kanpachi and the brûlée and everything was so fresh and full of flavor. We even received cookies as a parting gift!

Located inside a car dealership, this was my first time dining among millions of dollars worth of brand new sports cars. And it was a lovely experience of elevated local flavors in a fine dining establishment. I did the chef's tasting menu, and every course was delicious. My favorite was the opening appetizer, which contained caviar and egg. Their main specialty was the mochi kanpachi, and I really enjoyed it too! For cocktails, I had the Georgia O'Keefe and asked why it was named after a haole woman. Nomenclature wise, their other cocktail Lychee Hoo was actually a play on local culture, which made more sense. The staff asked around for me, but no one knew why. "Just use your imagination", the bartender said. "Like Georgia O'Keefe did." I had so much fun at MW.

Been to many restaurants on Oahu over the last 8 years, and this one takes the cake! Menu is unique and comprehensive — there’s something for everyone — and the execution was flawless. Ordered 4 appetizers, 2 entrees, 1 dessert, and 2 drinks, and every one of them hit the mark. Our favs were the dumplings, inari bombs, and the tenderloin! Our waiter Tyler was so attentive and gave us just the right amount of space. We’ll be back in no time!

Nestled within the bustling Paina Lanai Food Court at the Royal Hawaiian Center, Champion's Steak & Seafood offers a delightful twist on fast food. While it may look like a typical counter service spot, this gem serves up high-quality steak and seafood dishes that won't break the bank.
Reasonable price with good portion meal. I ordered 1/2 steak & shrimp (turf and surf) and the steak was good. It was so good that I visited this place twice the week I stayed here. Highly recommended.

Big surprise at the food court. Steak and seafood champions. I’ll have the New York strip with salad fantastic. I had the fish and chips came with tartar sauce, and butter. Fabulous parking in the parking garage. This is a very expensive mall in downtown Waikiki.

The garlic shrimps has more onion than garlic. I love garlic but hate onion, and they did not tell me there are so many onion The salad was very fresh, but the salad dressing is fat free ranch, and I absolutely avoid any fat free stuffs. Again they didn't ask my choice of dressing and just dropped the fat free dressing packs in my to go box.

It's not a lot to say about this meal really... The rice was cooked well and the steak was seasoned well but had a lot of fat and gristle on it. The shrimp was the best part of the meal honestly. The customer service wasn't all that great, because the food assistant who tool my order was VERY short for words. Took my order and walked away. That's it That's all. @according2teau 👽🦄

It was okay ,yes it is thin but that's how they all are here unless you want to spend $50 bucks on a thick one in a restaurant, this one is fast food. I liked the seasoning of the new York one but the reason I'm giving 3 stars is because the rice was too dry and overcooked and I couldn't even enjoy it. It comes with two rice balls and I couldn't even finish the first one because of how bad the rice tasted.
Eva — Google review
Be aware that what you get here is possibly not as described in the name of the item. I ordered an 8oz New York Strip Steak. I has no idea what, if anything, it came with dye to lack of menu details. I received a flank steak or a new york strip steak that has been flattened to death. I provided, after being asked, my cook preference, but seemed to make no difference. My steak was flat, cooked to medium and not the best cut. I did eat it and it tasted okay after I found something to put on it (It did not stand alone on its great flavor). I love this idea of food court or even fast food steak and applaud this attempt. Hence the 3 stars, since it stands alone with no direct competition.

Superb food and atmosphere. Celebrated my birthday and had a fantastic time. Live music. Octopus, tomahawk steak, oysters, and beignets were all exceptional. Staff is so welcoming and knowledgeable! Parking garage is right next door and they validate.

For the price, not worth it. Food was good, but not memorable. Everything is just over priced for what it's like. Went here with a group of people (7) and had drinks. Total was almost $1,000. You get free table side taro bread and butter, and you choose a knife for the entrée. I got the filet mignon, it's was medium rare and seasoned well. Small portion of it had some fat that wasn't rendered down enough. Everyone's food was cooked to their request. Although the service was good, they forgot our cocktails and whiskey several times throughout service. Atmosphere was good too, the lights were dimmed, and they had live music playing. However, when looking around, not many people were in the restaurant. Most of the photos I took were just of the appetizers.

This was my second time here. Overall a good dining experience. The staff were friendly and attentive. The wedge salad was amazing and the best part of my meal. My steak/potato were slightly overcooked/dry and the jalapeno tater tots were a waste of money altogether. Not spicy at all and the sweet sauce it did not match the restaurant quality. The desserts were tasty. Parking in available on the street on in the structure that can be validated.

They always rock it! Service is personable, and the menu is reasonable, creative, and pretty splendid. Give it a try if you've never been. The atmosphere is cosmopolitan and food ono! Really only one of a handful of places in town that have a really classy setting and menu, while having a very reasonable and tasty bar menu, in a casual, easy going, feel good atmosphere. If you wanna do it up, the dinner menu is hearty and unique. They also have a semi private room for intimate parties. Outdoor sidewalk or under cover seating is also nice on a cool evening. It's definitely a favorite! 8/09/21 They rocked it again. Stephanie, one of our servers, and her teammates, on it and quite entertaining. Thank you for the usual great service and pretty dang good grubs, too. 😉🤙✌ 9/2022 I've been back many more times before this, but I wanted to give another shout-out! They're still rocking it! The place was crowded, and still a beautiful ambiance and staff is fantabulous!! We were graced with Bo serving us at the bar as he continues to navigate these challenging times post Covid. I give him all the credit in the world. Also posted a pic of the newest item on the bar menu, a beef skewer. It was right up that onolicious alley! Rock on!! 😉🤙✌️ 5/2023 It's still awesome and rocking it! I'm just sorry I'm not able to come as often. Keep up the good work! 😉🤙✌️ 3/2024 All that jazz.....

Service was awesome! Best dry aged steak I've had in hawaii. Just can't put my finger on it something was off as far as the atmosphere. Bar looked great maybe it was the more modern feeling, from the high ceilings, cement floors not at all a bad thing just different. We will definitely be back.

Amazing atmosphere, beyond phenomenal drinks and food... cozy place that's spaced out well. Perfect lighting... great choice for romantic private dates or hanging with friends and sharing incredible apps. The wine list is extensive. I love the way everyone pitches in and makes sure to stop by your table and ask a little about you, including management. Had a blast and definitely highly recommended!

Awesome menu, and the starter of claim chowder was off the charts. Fresh ingredients along with superb culinary skills makes this place a rewarding dinning experience. I'm definitely a returning customer, and I had one of the best porterhouse steak. The creme Brule was a coffee base favor with custard.

Our first time at this predominantly steak house. The cocktail menu was diverse and tasty. Our food was served family style. We had the bacon appetizer and two different salads. Our mains were lamb chops, pork chop, and New York steak with sides of mushrooms, mashed potatoes, and broccolini. All were great but the lamb chops were especially good. Beignets finished the meal and were good. Service was excellent. Prices were spendy, but I would say this would be a good place for a special occasion.

Steak Shack is a basic food stand located near the beach, offering affordable steak and chicken plates with rice and organic greens. Situated on Waikiki Beach, it attracts both locals and tourists due to its budget-friendly yet delicious offerings. The kiosk provides a smaller menu but ensures quality products, making it an ideal spot for enjoying tasty yet inexpensive food after a day at the beach.
We came here twice while on our visit to Oahu because we loved it so much. A great meal on the beach especially during sunset, you get a perfect view of the sunset at The Steak Shack. The steak is so yummy I’m going to be dreaming about it all the time.

Food and service is great. For cheap price, you get so much food. There isn't much of a dining area so I recommend taking your food either back to your room or finding a picnic table nearby.

Every time we're in Hawaii, we have to make sure to stop and get our fix of the Steak Shack. Who knew you could get such a tasty steak meal right on the beach. Although the price goes up each time we visit every year or so, it's worth it, so we'll keep returning. Try it out, and your belly will be happy!

I was able to order right away at 1PM on a Friday. I ordered the signature 6 oz steak plate. I will say prices have gone up. My food was $17.95. I found a table around the corner in the shade and waited until my name was called. Steak came with a sauce container, slightly spicy, sweet, and tangy. Steak was tender and perfectly medium rare. Salad was fresh. Rice was generous but slightly hard like it didn't have enough time to steam. The view was excellent.
Albert N — Google review
One of the best steaks ever. Tender and peppery with a choice of ranch or Italian sauce. Mixed greens and rice included. Eat it while watching the sunset along Fort DeRussy beach. Fireworks every Friday at 7:45pm. $16 for the 6 oz., then about a dollar per added ounce of meat. Long line for order during meal time, then takes around 15-20 minutes to wait for your order. Really worth the wait and the price. A cordoned seals resting area is just in front of the place for an added attraction, and the seals swim with the people!😃
Richard G — Google review
The steak was amazing, excellent flavor and great tender steak cooked mid rare. Customer service could use some major improvement, not friendly at all! Limited seating but an excellent take-out place as well.
Travis B — Google review
What's not to love great tender steak and the beach! Literally few steps away from the sand! Can't get any better than this ! Service was great cashier was friendly and the whole process was a breeze! Depending on the time you go, there can be a long line but it moves pretty fast! Quick tip, get extra teriyaki sauce! Beef was seasoned nicely slightly on the peppery side but use sauce to balance! Steak plate comes with steak at your desired cooking level, salad your choice of dressing and 2 scoops of rice! Perfect combo! They have few standing tables, but you can just bring it out to the rocks or eat on the sand !!! Bring a picnic blanket ! Highly recommend!
Maricel M — Google review
The staff were friendly and polite. I highly recommend the steak and chicken combo meal. The meat was tender and flavorful. There's limited seating on the deck. Not sure if the tables and chairs are specifically for their guests. Nevertheless, the area was clean with a nice view of the beach and ocean.

Basalt is a contemporary dining venue located in the heart of Waikiki, offering a familiar comfort-style menu featuring global cuisine with local ingredients and flavors. The open kitchen welcomes guests to experience a menu influenced by multicultural flavors, curated by Corporate Executive Chef Kelly Degala and Executive Chef Keith Steel Kong. Whether it's savory breakfast dishes or Hawaiian favorites like loco moco, Basalt offers an impressive blend of flavors for all palates.
Came to Basalt for the famous charcoal pancakes and it did not disappoint. We were seated quickly and chose to sit outside—it was cool, peaceful, and a perfect setting to start the day. I ordered the Mug and, of course, the charcoal pancakes. They came out warm, beautifully plated, topped with fresh fruit, whipped cream, and served with guava syrup. It looked almost too good to eat—but that first bite proved it was just as delicious as it looked. Definitely worth the hype. I also had the Maui Gold drink, which was visually stunning and tasted just as good. Later, I tried the Spa Day—less sweet, but still super refreshing. Both drinks hit the spot. Great food, great vibes, and fair prices. This is officially my new go-to breakfast spot. Loved it!

Do not sleep on Basalt. We came for brunch and were pleasantly surprised. All of the food was amazing but you have to try the charcoal pancakes. They were unlike anything we've ever had before. Fluffy, moist, and absolutely delicious.

An instant Waikiki staple. Great atmosphere to enjoy fantastic food from chef Lance Kosaka. Light music that doesn’t disturb conversation. They have a wide variety of drinks, but I suggest the mocktail “Spa Day” and spike it with Hendrick’s Gin. Nat will take good care of ya. Lance’s spin on a classic Loco Moco will hit every savory gland you have! Sharing this dish and the Charcoal pancakes are a perfect combination to satisfy your sweet needs. ☯️

I haven't written a review in so long, but OMFG my dinner was delicious. 😭 I had the salmon ochazuke and it was the best thing I've eaten in a restaurant in as long as I can remember. My husband had the ribs with guava BBQ sauce and they were delicious too, but I'll be dreaming of the ochazuke until I can return one day.

I had a great experience here with my parents who are picky eaters. My shakshouka was very tasty, and not too heavy, it was a perfect start to my day. My parents ordered the breakfast style prime rib, and were very happy with the flavors. Definitely coming back for the ambiance, and for those charcoal pancakes!

Food okay. Not outstanding just okay. Service naturally okay with an automatic 18% added option to the bill you can see why. They were limiting diners to those that were buying wine upon our visit due to staff shortages. Prices expensive as is everywhere but noodle restaurants in Honolulu. Wouldn't return to restaurant or indeed Honolulu ever again as prices everywhere for food and service are 100% higher than Australia and 200% higher than Europe.

Eating House 1849 at Waikiki's International Market Place is a culinary gem created by renowned chef Roy Yamaguchi. The restaurant offers a unique fusion of traditional plantation flavors with modern twists, reflecting the rich history and culture of the islands. Inspired by Portuguese, Spanish, and Filipino influences, the menu features innovative dishes like Plantation Style Paella Rice Stew and Pork and Crab Pillow Dumplings.
I can confidently say this is my absolute favorite restaurant! On my last visit, I ordered the Build Your Own Local Catch Dish with Yellowtail Amberjack and pancit — every bite was perfection. The fish was fresh, perfectly cooked, and paired beautifully with the flavorful pancit. The balance of textures and flavors was so spot-on it made me slow down just to savor it. Of course, no visit here is complete without dessert, and I always get the chocolate soufflé. It’s rich, airy, and decadent — the kind of dessert that makes you pause, close your eyes, and just appreciate life for a moment. From the impeccable food to the warm, inviting atmosphere, this place never disappoints. If I could give it more than five stars, I would!
Nanichi U — Google review
Let me start with a confession: I'm not a big kale fan. I've on occasions, dutifully gnawed through it post-gym while questioning both my life choices and the meaning of joy. But my brother loves kale and asked if I would share a kale salad, with him. After a couple glasses of wine, I'm pretty agreeable to most things except giving up wine. Then snap... that was like not just one of the best kale salads I've ever had but one of the tastiest salads ever! The kale itself was moist, tender yet firm and didn't have the usual cardboard flavor and texture. The papaya seed dressing was bright and tangy, but the real star was the crispy garlic chips -- earthy, toasty flavor bombs that added a wonderful crunchy texture to the salad. The oysters from Washington were plump and meaty, with that briny ocean essence followed by a milky, rich finish. They came with a couple of side sauces but I'm a purist when it comes to oysters. Just give me a lemon wedge and a dash of tobacco. The Kampachi Crudo- Thin, silky slices of fish, cut to a nice thickness that gave a wonderful chew, with a hint of citrus and a light touch of truffle yaki. It was fresh and refreshing , clean, and flavorful -- simple but memorable. Love it when a chef resists the urge to smother the dish -- just some tasty support and let the fish do the rest. For the main, we shared the butterfish kamameshi. The fish was slightly overcooked -- a little firmer and dryer than I'd prefer -- but the flavor was there. The seasoned furikake rice underneath almost stole the spotlight. Layered with flavors and cooked perfectly . The vegetables including daikon added texture, and those crispy bits of rice at the bottom of the cast iron pot? Total food gold. The Service : My brother and I sat at the bar -- always my first choice, and after more than a decade behind one, still where I feel most at home. The service is faster , the energy more dialed up . At the bar, the world comes at you with the good, the bad, and the downright messy. You learn to duck and weave, toast and cheer, and take it all in--one slurp of wine at a time. It's like having a seat at the chef's table, but instead of watching tweezers and foam, you hear the shaking of martinis and the stirring of spirits. And even now, from the other side of the rail, it still feels like the best seat in the house for me. And don't get me started about the people watching. Huge shoutout to Sasha, our bartender for the night. She was handling drinks for the entire dining room, yet still made us feel like honored guests in her little corner of the chaos. Always checking in on us with a warm smile. It resuscitated old muscle memory from my own nights in the trenches. Respect Sasha!! The Atmosphere: Beautiful and comfortable interior with a laid back elegance. A blend of modern and Hawai'i plantation. Elegant enough for a date night yet casual enough for shorts and slippers. A guitar player with a Fender Strat skillfully filled the empty spaces between conversations . Will definitely be back! Happy Eating!!

Place is vibrant and has pastries ready to buy if you want to grab something and go. Prices a very fair especially because of location. Place was very clean bright light and shiny walls and glass. Super clean and our server was cool the busser Diego was very helpful throughout the night definitely can be a server. Paella seafood is what I ordered. Real strong with tomato flavor and not much more flavor than that. Coconut creme brulee was decent. The upside down pineapple was the best thing I had from all the entress, appetizers and desserts.

If you're a foodie, but also have little kids, I can't recommend Eating House 1849 at the Internatinal Market enough. It is so hard to find a restaurant of this quality, with food this good, that feels acceptable to bring small children to. From the very beginning, everyone was welcoming to out 1 and 3 year old. They even have a 3 course kids meal with starter quesadillas, and entree, and a dessert ice cream sandwich. The fresh catch was a hit for our Littles. For the adults, we had poke, ramen, and a filet mignon that was to die for. The unique blend of European and Hawaiian cuisine is something we always love about Roy's restaurants and this was a trjlly stellar experience.

🚨 Warning: Tourist Trap with Awful Food and Service – Not a Steakhouse! 🚨 My wife and I had a terrible experience here on Halloween night (approx. 5:00 PM). | Service (Initial) | The restaurant was empty, yet it took the hostess 5 minutes just to seat us. There seemed to be too many staff milling around, creating a lack of accountability. | | Service (Our Waitress) | Our waitress was highly inattentive. After taking our order, she was nowhere to be found and never checked on our food. | | The $170 Ribeye | I understand ordering steak at a non-steakhouse is a risk, but our waitress strongly recommended it as the best item. The steak arrived severely undercooked (rare instead of medium-rare). | | Handling the Mistake | I had to flag down a hostess to return the steak, as our waitress was missing. The manager brought it back half an hour later after we had finished the rest of our meal. The second attempt was a disaster: one end was well-done, the other was rare, and the meat was tough. The fat glob was so chewy on the end-cuts I had to spit it onto a napkin. | | Appetizer & Sides | The sashimi appetizer was served strangely with hot sauce and mayonnaise—a very odd and disappointing combination. | | Dessert | The waitress apologized and brought dessert. We ordered the chocolate soufflé hoping to salvage the meal, but it was not a soufflé at all and tasted stale or expired Twinkie. | | Overall Value | Even the only "good" dish (shrimp) was not nearly enough to justify a $170+ meal. | Note on a Strange Touch: Our waitress gave me a paper to fill out—a voting ballot for a Halloween costume contest—which felt completely unprofessional given the poor quality of our dining experience. The chopsticks were also advertised as a "Shark Tank" product. Shame on you, Mr. Yamaguchi, for the truly poor quality of food and service at this price point. We left laughing in disbelief at how bad it was, though we did leave a 20% tip out of habit. AVOID!

The Reef Bar & Market Grill is a laid-back restaurant located within the Outrigger Reef Waikiki Resort, offering a diverse menu of surf and turf options. Guests can choose their protein from a butcher counter, including steaks, fish, and vegetable kebabs, and then grill it themselves while enjoying views of Diamond Head. The casual eatery provides an all-day dining experience with authentic local island meat and fish.
For this view the prices are reasonable. We were fans of the Shorebird Restaurant that used to be here: bbq your own cut of meat and get all the salad bar, rice, mashed potatoes and bread you could eat. The prices were lower, but the restaurant was looking older. That was two years ago. Today we see they’ve remodeled the bbq grill area and salad bar area; raised prices and changed the menu to include more a la carte choices. We came at 4:30 P.M. and were told we couldn’t order dinner til 5:00, so we asked for a table by the window ledge and ordered drinks and appetizers until we could get dinner. What a spectacular, shaded, unobstructed view of the ocean, beach goers, sail boats and Diamond Head. All five senses are engaged with the Hawaiian music, sea breeze and bbq, and amazing colors of the ocean. We had the Steak and Shrimp Nachos, which were superb. The shrimp was very fresh, huge and seasoned really well. Chunks of tender steak were hidden throughout the mountain of crisp flour tortilla chip strips, fresh guacamole (like 1 1/2 cups of guacamole), jack did, pico de gallo, jalapeños, Mexican cheese (either cotija or asadero, I forget, see photo), lemon wedge and a side of salsa. At the bottom was a smear of cumin-flavored black beans. Some of the best nachos I’ve ever had. We also got the Reuben sliders, salad bar, steak and shrimp kabobs, and those were all good. My friend said,”We should eat here every day. I could just stare at the water.” Our server was attentive and kept the cups topped off and used dishes cleared. We highly recommend.

Friendly service, beautiful views, but lacklustre food at unjustified prices. Kids meals were disappointing ... even to kids. Salad bar was pretty dull. Finally, “cook-your-own steak” is a recipe for hit-and-miss quality.
Steve M — Google review
The dinner service was wonderful, and the host was able to sit us near the water. If you sit near the grills it will definitely be hotter won’t get so much of an ocean breeze if you sit away from it. The food is excellent and there are great options for every kind of pallet. The prices are a bit steep but it’s still very good. It’s not quite the same as it was when it was the shorebird but it’s definitely still a good option for dining.

We were staying in the hotel and needed breakfast very early because of an early tour, so we chose Shor for their breakfast buffet because of their convenient location and they open early. The food was all so delicious (especially the bacon, they cook bacon right). The service was very attentive and friendly. The view was a welcoming start for the day, and the buffet filled us up for a full day of exploring the island.

We came the day before Valentines. Make sure you make reservations. Although we dressed up, it’s pretty casual. We were seated Oceanside. The service was great as well as the food. I had the kampachi $38 and it was devine. It was the perfect balance, even though the portion seems small. I didn’t leave feeling stuffed, nor did I leave feeling hungry. Plus I had a glass of wine while the Mr. had a hamburger $26 which he said was delicious. The truffle fries were tasty as well. Parking was validated, which granted us an extra three hours to look around. There was an open market going on so the validated hours was nice. The restaurant is located in the Hyatt and we self parked. Parking is extremely narrow going up the ramp, so be mindful or just valet. If you self park, again, you are validated.

I wasn't too sure after reading some of the reviews, but I had to try for myself. I had fish of the day twice, once with the mahi and then the snapper. The plates did not disappoint. The fish was perfectly cooked, and the lemon sauce was good. The lobster tail was also great. Had the gelato and the taro cheesecake, nothing to brag about, but it was good. The drinks were not as strong. The pineapple pie was my favorite dessert. Ryan was great.

First visit to Shor restaurant in the Hyatt Regency hotel on Waikiki beach, which overall was an excellent experience. We chose the restaurant specifically for the location and the view for the Waikiki sunset.  The restaurant is located on the 3rd floor of the Hyatt, and using Open Table, we requested a balcony table which was honored through out reservation. We expected the great views, but also received excellent service and food.  The front desk was efficient and friendly, and were shown to our balcony table right on time.  Table service followed by a super friendly server, who watched over us the entire meal.  We found all of our appetizers and entrees very good, served timely and hot as appropriate.  As expected for Waikiki the pricing is high, but at least service and food were well done throughout the meal. We would consider returning again, but only for a special occasion. Hints for your visit: Balcony table provides great views, but can be windy or hot at times.  Be aware of the “sticker shock” when all done with the meal.

We enjoyed the food a lot as the temperature, flavor, and portions were more than enough. Chris was an exceptional hostess. Her welcoming personality was infectious and she did an excellent job providing us all the menu option specialties, which allowed us to make an informed choice of what to select. We definitely will be back when visiting Oahu again. Chris should be commended by management for representing the company so well.

Fire Grill Waikiki was a decision made by my husband and I to try since we were both wanting a steakhouse dinner on our last night in Honolulu. The atmosphere at Fire Grill in Waikiki was great, making for easy conversation. However, the service was noticeably slow; the restaurant appeared to be running a full house without enough staff, leading to a feeling of chaos that was clearly due to understaffing. Our waitress, even though she was extremely busy, catered to our needs as good as she possibly could. She was outstanding despite the high and flux of consumers present within the restaurant. Despite the service challenges, the food was quite good for the price—We ended up ordering the seafood paella and the 11 oz ribeye. My husband was full, and I was satisfied with the meal.

Overall, it’s a decent place for a quick breakfast. It’s no longer a buffet style or hybrid - it’s regular menu. But they have reduced the prices some, which is needed. Coffee is included but it’s self serve. Odd choice, but for the prices having not included is nice. The food is okay. Omelettes look pre-made, and heated to order. My order came out in about 3 minutes. It was also extremely small, so the price makes sense. The diced potatoes are clearly reused bakers from the night before. Mushy, but warm. The Portuguese sausage option says “(3)” and it’s three thin slices like you would pick out of the buffet. I would definitely not pay $3.5 for this side. The toast was plain white or wheat and what you’d find on the bread bar at the buffet. Plain and simple, and only one slice for the $2.50 extra fee. Presentation was kinda sad. A small omelette, three little sausage pieces, and a clump of overcooked potatoes was dwarfed by the massive plate it was served on. Service was warm and friendly, and the waitress explained the new breakfast menu without issue. Can’t complain about that. Overall, it’s probably one of the quickest and cheapest places to get breakfast on Waikiki, but the value is priced accordingly. Dukes Lane Market & Eatery is a vibrant food hall and gourmet market located on Kuhio Avenue in Waikiki. It offers a variety of unique eateries, a full bar, and a bustling atmosphere that attracts both locals and tourists. One of its highlights is the Spitfire Rotisserie & Flatbread counter, known for its delightful mochi malassadas available in original, ube, and mango flavors.
This place has a bar, an Island Gourmet Coffee, and a Spitfire Rotisserie. There is also an ABC Store. The poke bowls were awesome, and three of us ate for $45. The coffee and matcha ere great too.

Picked up a few items for breakfast including: Ube roll; pineapple fritter; croissant; and dragon pitaya bowl. It was delightful to find real pineapple chunks inside the pineapple fritter, so tasty and not too sweet. Baked in store, worth a try! There is a special on acai bowls, but the dragon pitaya bowl was so satisfying. Some of the sorbetto melted on the walk back (in the photo), probably better to eat it on the spot. There are a few tables indoors to dine in. Friendly and efficient service.

AVOID THIS PLACE - THEY MIGHT KILL SOMEONE WITH ALLERGIES I bought a beef burger and fries from here, and towards the end of my meal I noticed that there was something else in the fries, after looking closer I realised that these were discarded shrimp tails in with my fries. I hate seafood so I now feel sick that I might have eaten some of these. I went back to the staff to ask what they were and she confirmed they were pieces of shrimp, but couldn’t care less that they were in my food. She just shrugged her shoulders like it didn’t matter and didn’t even apologise, but a person with a shellfish allergy could have died. If you have any concerns about allergies I would strongly advise you to go somewhere else.

I would have given this place a five-star, but with all the food courts and eateries, they don’t have a bathroom for customers to use. That’s the first thing I need to point out. After many hours of flying from Seattle, my family and I went straight there for dinner before they closed. We eat there and need to use the restroom. There is a restroom for employees, but not for customers. As for the food it was fantastic. I love the Kalua pork loco moco. The gravy over rice, and the kalua pork were delicious. I would shop at this place again, especially the Spitfire restaurant and the bakery right at the entrance.

Review is for Spitfire Rotisserie & Flatbread. The place is spotless and the service is prompt and friendly. The Breakfast Plate was plenty of food and well priced. The scrambled eggs were piping hot. The bacon was a generous portion though pretty greasy. The potatoes were only lightly salted. Unfortunately, they were served cold.

If you catch it when it’s fresh they actually have some of the best poke I’ve ever had. Sadly they got rid of the nice hidden outdoor seating area they had which has been taken by the restaurant Basalt. It’s a good place to grab something to eat for cheap, and man if their spicy ahi poke is fresh you will be blown away by how good it is. Their teriyaki chicken plate is also very decent with a good amount of chicken for the price. Also their large fountain coke is 1.75 which is like the same as McDonald’s not bad!

There isn't much seating here ( two tables inside) but good thing the beach is less than 10 minutes away. This place is a mix of convenience store with both a coffeeshop/milk tea and ice cream shop. The espresso drinks are more reasonably priced for this area. You get what you pay for. This place is well staffed and usually a line but moves fast.

The shrimps here are very, very tasty! Mashed potato is not real, it is a powder, and meat is not tasty, the meat is too thin and there is a lot of fat, as if I don’t eat steak, but just fat! 👎🏻 Next time if I eat there, I will just order shrimps with vegetables. We were looking for a place to get a salad on our way home from Pearl Harbor. We saw this place and decided to try it. We changed our minds after seeing they're offering a lunch special for those over 60. I went with the chicken wings, fries and a small side salad. It included a drink also. My bride got a cheeseburger, fries and salad. The 5 wings come out hot and naked. All food was cooked well and the fries were delicious. Our server kept our drinks full. Our table was very crooked.

Haven't been there in a while, but the food was good. The meat loaf was flavorful. I would order it again. They have a senior menu selection. The chicken marsala was good and had a generous portion. The improvement I would recommend is to carry rootbeer as on of your drink selections.

I've always loved coming to this specific Big City Diner with my family. Today was very disappointing. Instead of being greeted with a warm welcome, we were dealt with major attitude. There were 16 people in our party, including children. Since their waiting area was a little small and there were other parties waiting to be seated, some of the children in my party stood in the outside seating area. Instead of politely asking us to stay in the waiting area, the host/waiter scolded the children and told them to close the door to the outside seating area. After walking away from my family, I overheard him talking with his co-worker. He said, "gosh! We're about to get slammed. I don't know where we're gonna put them." His co-worker said, "it's okay, just bring em in. They don't have to sit together." It's so disappointing that we were such a burden to them. Unfortunately, we will have to find another place to dine with my family.

Special treat for me to eat in for breakfast. Even though it was busy on a Sunday morning, I was seated right away and no pressure to eat fast to turn over the booth. Coffee was refilled regularly and the wait staff were attentive to each customer's needs. Even the keiki!

This is hands down my favorite local place to eat in Oahu. I primarily come for the breakfast, but had lunch once as well. The servers are always friendly and wonderful. The coffee is delicious (favorite diner coffee I've had on the island so far). But most importantly, the portions are large and delicious. I go 1-2 a week for their breakfasts and dare I say....its the highlight of my week (other than getting a fresh hairct) to have a big meal and chug some coffee. It's impossible to recommend an item because I've loved everything I've had. You can't go wrong with anything here. Haven't used it yet, but there is a full bar and TVs for sports on weekends as well. Do the right thing and tip your servers. I look forward to eating here every weekend.

PAI Honolulu is a sophisticated restaurant located in Hawaii's historic Harbor Court building, offering refined, internationally-inspired fare through tasting menus and à la carte options. Portions are small and delicious. Our waiter was very sweet and attentive! Thank you guys for the amazing dinner.
Nicole P — Google review
Our experience at Pai was a great disappointment. We had hoped for a nice last meal in Honolulu, but the food ranged from mediocre to poor in quality and was extremely slow. Service: Our servers were polite but lacked the polish and professionalism we would expect from a restaurant at this price point ($210 per person). Our server, though well-intentioned, spoke very softly and mumbled the dish explanations so we had difficulty understanding him, and he generally appeared nervous, avoiding eye contact. Ambiance: The restaurant, which seats only ~12 parties to begin with, was no more than half full. The bluetooth speaker kept disconnecting, so every 10 minutes the music stopped and we heard an automated notification that the bluetooth speaker was disconnected. When the fire alarm went off in the middle of the meal, none of the servers stopped by to explain what was happening. We had a view into the open kitchen which only had 3-4 kitchen staff in it, including the head chef-- this may have contributed to the painstakingly slow pacing of the meal. Food: We had the Chef’s Tasting Menu. The dishes, each of which drew from a different global influence (Southern, Japanese, Chinese, Italian, French, etc.) lacked cohesion as an overall menu. The food itself was the biggest letdown. * Chef’s buttermilk cornbread - 5/10. The cornbread was good/ordinary though the honey-miso butter was tasty. * Kona kanpachi - 5/10. Three small pieces of kanpachi and two tiny pieces of scallop. The dish was nice but could have used a more generous portion of seafood as most of it was cucumber, tomato, and puree. * Samoan crab purse - 6/10. Though slightly one dimensional, there was good amount of crab and filling and as dim sum lovers, we appreciated the take on siu mai. * Lobster Cioppino - 6/10. The cioppino was flavorful and the half lobster tail was well cooked. However, the pieces of fennel on the side were confusing as they were not really integrated into the dish. * Escargot toppogi - 6/10. One of the better dishes, a combination of escargot and small pieces of tteobboki in a pesto sauce that worked well but didn’t wow us. The two carrots on top, which might have been meant to provide freshness, were raw and out of place. * Duck confit taro puff - 3/10. This is where the meal went rapidly downhill. According to the menu, the taro puff contained duck confit and foie gras rags with cabbage, shoyu mustard, and micro shiso. All of this was overpowered by the taste of cumin. The texture inside was oily and gooey with nothing to relieve the heaviness. Moreover, part of the filling was cold inside. * 90 Day Dry-Aged Ribeye - 2/10. Two very rare, small blocks of meat were gummy in texture and lukewarm in temperature. The cauliflower was ok and so was the XO sauce just but the steak itself can only be described as terrible. * Mai Tai Sherbet - skipped. At this point, we explained to the waiter that the meal had been taking a long time and we were not enjoying the food and asked if we could skip to dessert. * Dark Chocolate Haupia - 5/10. The chocolate haupia itself was neat and tasted fine but the crumble was gritty. Our final bill came out to $470, which is frankly outrageous for what we got. It is difficult to fathom how such a meal could be priced at a Michelin level. Our waiter apologized to us at the end for the slow and disappointing experience and we overheard him apologizing to at least two other tables as well, which suggests that our experience was unfortunately not unique.

Pai Honolulu just celebrated their 8th Anniversary 🥳 and recently won several awards at the 42nd annual Hale Aina Awards - Gold for Best Wine Program, Bronze for Best Service and was a Finalist for Best Vegetarian 👏 Chef Kevin's tasting menus are definitely a treat to experience but I also love just sitting at the bar and indulging in snacks and cocktails 😊 The Shrimp Chips with Horseradish Creme Fraiche are a favorite of mine - the chips really do have a yummy shrimpy flavor, not like the ones from the grocery store!
Coryne S — Google review
Service was excellent, ambiance was quant and classy, cocktails with exceptional and the oyster with caviar was amazing. I want to also say the short ribs and curry pappardelle were very flavorful. With all the wonderful things I just said why not 5 stars? The papparrdelle was hand made, but it lacked consistency and it was a bit too al dente for me. The main reason for taking a star away was that our entrees were served lukewarm, which we found to be a major misstep for this price point and caliber.

WOW... and I mean woooooow! We are still here, and we have loved everything!!! The food is spectacular! I highly recommend to spend a little more and opt for the Chef's tasting menu, it os worth it.

Nestled on the east end of Waikiki, Leahi Bar & Grill is a delightful casual dining destination that captures the essence of Hawaiian comfort food. With its name derived from the Hawaiian term for Diamond Head, this eatery is celebrated for its generous portions and high-quality ingredients at reasonable prices. A standout dish here is the impressive 14-ounce Choice Cut Rib Eye, perfectly paired with rice and greens.
Great view to the ocean. I visited here at 4PM and there were plenty of tables to sit. I sat at the balcony and enjoyed my food. I ordered a fresh catch, got a very nice Salmon with rice and veggies. It was great! Food tasted very nice, I like it. I also tried the oysters too. Good stuff at a very reasonable price for me. I will definitely go back to eat here.

The garlic ahi plate is so good! A hidden gem on a side street in Waikiki. One of the only locally owned spots not inside a hotel, with locally sourced ingredients, local musicians, and a super fun staff. If Shannon is working at the bar get ready for a good time. I even bought this sick hat. Leahi is the traditional Hawaiian name for the Diamond Head crater

Went in late and they accommodated us so gently! Shannon the bartender was so fast and intuitive with taking care of us. Enjoyed the Korean chicken wings, so good! If you like a little kick, definitely get the sriracha on the side. I enjoyed it without any additional sauces though. Especially for night owls, we were so grateful for a late night place that still serves food.

I’ve never left a negative review before. The drinks were the weakest I’ve ever had, a tiny drop of liquor in each if anything. They tasted virgin. We ordered the garlic fries and popcorn chicken. Fries were standard frozen fries with a mound of jarred garlic on top. The popcorn chicken was entirely fat. Every single piece was 90% fat, we couldn’t finish anything. Regretted having to pay, awful quality.

Restaurant
1938 Indochine is a trendy, upscale restaurant in Kakaako that serves up some of the best Southeast Asian cuisine in Honolulu. The setting is reminiscent of a French colonial era, with tall standing bar and elegant indoor/outdoor seating options. There's also a cigar bar where you can enjoy after dinner drinks. Highlights of the menu include Vietnamese and Asian fusion dishes, so there's something for everyone to enjoy.
The best Vietnamese cuisine I’ve ever had! This restaurant is top-notch, featuring lovely romantic decor, great vibes, and an inviting atmosphere. From the moment you walk in, you can feel the ambiance and know you’ve made the right choice to dine there. The dining table setup is very private, offering plenty of personal space. The food and drinks are absolutely amazing. We ordered appetizers to share, and they were both plentiful and delicious. Most of the menu items are designed for sharing. I ordered the local snapper fish, fried to perfection, and it was absolutely delicious. Our server made a few recommendations, and we went with his suggestions—everything arrived on time and was perfect. He was super friendly, gave us plenty of time to decide, and let us enjoy our meal without rushing. After dinner, we relaxed, ordered cocktails, and took pictures. It’s a great restaurant with an amazing, friendly staff. Highly recommended!

Atmosphere is definitely nice. Food was so-so. Malaysian fried chicken and satay were great, the curry was horrible(too thick and too much coconut milk). I had one bite and was done ($19 for something I didn’t eat…) overall, 5 star for atmosphere, 2 star for food.

This spot is perfect for food drinks and vibes. The inside is immaculate with perfect decor. The staff is super friendly and attentive. The drinks are refreshing. The Happy Hour at this restaurant is amazing, offering a variety of delicious food options. Happy Hour ends at 6pm. I highly recommend trying the fries and pork belly buns, which were both excellent. The ceviche was good, and the glass noodle shrimp was also good. However, the jidori chicken was excellent, and the crab cakes were great. The Happy Hour menu offers excellent value, and I highly recommend taking advantage of it.

Located in downtown Honolulu, 1038 Indochine was an enjoyable dining experience with great patio seating. The menu was eclectic fusion of Asian and Vietnamese. Service was good. There was live music inside the restaurant on the night my party of five had dinner.

1938 was a good experience all around, we started at the bar while we waited for our friends to join us. We had a fabulous ginger whiskey drink made with homemade ingredients and it was good. Once our friends arrived we moved to our reserved table. The atmosphere is fantastic, love the decor!! We ordered just a bunch of different plates and everyone pretty much shared. Again can't complain about anything we ordered, really the only compliant and this is with everything is that the plates are getting smaller and the prices are getting higher but not limited to just one place of course. Everything had good flavor and was cooked well and to order. All said and done it was a good meal and good experience we would definitely go back.
Chris A — Google review
So I really wanted to make things right before leaving a review as Iam a business owner myself. But the amount of time I called and with no response left me no choice. My party was the very last to leave the restaurant, and we accidentally left a gifts behind on our table. When we called the very next day, the staff claimed nothing was found. That’s hard to believe considering no one sat there after us. We asked to speak with a manager, but our call was completely ignored and never returned. This shows a total lack of honesty and integrity from the staff, and zero accountability from management. We left not only disappointed, but with the feeling that our trust was completely violated.

Located along the Honolulu Harbor on North Nimitz Highway, Little Joe's Steakhouse is a popular spot for special occasions. The restaurant offers a beautiful setting and a fantastic atmosphere, making it an ideal place to celebrate. Known for its mouthwatering food, the fillet mignon and ribeye steaks are highly recommended, as well as the lilikoi (passionfruit) creme brulee for those with a sweet tooth.
Very good quality steakhouse. I have dinner here several times for special occasions. Perfectly seasoned steaks cooked to a beautifully colored medium rare. Every dish is deliciously rich. The dishes are ala cart so you will need to order side dishes if you want more than just a steak by itself. The atmosphere is fine for casual or fine dining with rooms for private parties. Service has always been on point. Make reservations as it can get busy here even on a Monday evening. My only drawback is that it can be pricey. You will be paying $50 plus per per person for steak unless you go with fish or chicken dishes. I only gave 4 stars for atmosphere only because they use the tables from the previous restaurant which was a hotpot place. The hot plate surface kind of gets in the way slightly. Still an upscale atmosphere and overall I love this steakhouse.
Brian P — Google review
We arrived almost an hour before opening because we were advised it gets busy. It wasn't on the day we went but that's neither here nor there. Once sat we promptly put in our drink and appetizer order and they came out in the blink of an eye. We ordered the potato gratin, tuna tartar, Fried mushrooms, Shrimp, bacon wrapped asparagus and Bacon Mac and cheese. The shrimp was by far the best as the others seemed to be missing flavor. We all ordered the Ribeye and Lobster. The lobster was delicious but as for the the ribeye the seasoning overpowered the steak. In my liking of a well cooked steak all you need is Kosher salt and possibly pepper. Not sure what they use but it was by far too much. Now for the steak,,, 2 of us ordered medium rare and 1 ordered medium+. The steak was tough in the middle and soft on the outside. We did our best with consuming the meat. Service was outstanding and I wish I could say the same for the food. Service 9/10 food 7/10

The spouse chose Little Joe’s Steakhouse for dinner, which is the same company as the Liliha Bakery chain. ATMOSPHERE: Modern vibe, mood lighting, counter, low & high top seating, along with rooms that can become private. RESERVATIONS: Recommended via OpenTable as they were pretty busy. PARKING: Free but limited amount of stalls, or valet for $3. MENU: Steak, lamb, chicken, seafood and desserts. BEVERAGE: Lemon Drop Tasty and balanced recipe with a sugar rim. FOOD: Baked Potato Sold out. Come on!? Bruschetta We received this as compliments of the maitre d’ as our server didn’t came to our table for 10 minutes. It was simply a diced tomato medley over bruschetta. Appreciated, but no wow factor at all. Clam Chowder Very tasty New England recipe but the portion was extremely small for the price. New York Strip A hearty and thick 10 ounces, my requested medium temperature was majority medium rare, though perfectly seasoned and juicy. Highly recommended. Mashed Potatoes The spouse and I were so disappointed in settling for this thin and soupy selection that needed salt. Creamed Spinach Excellent flavors and creaminess. Highly recommended. DESSERT: Chocolate Lava Soufflé Definitely sized for just one person, it was chocolatey, chewy and delish. We added a scoop of vanilla ice cream to make it decadent. SERVICE: Host greeting was immediate and welcoming. As mentioned, no one to our table for 10 minutes. After the hawk eyed maitre d’ noticed my spouse looking around, he came to our table to apologize and explain what happened. Really great recovery! The male server eventually showed up along with a few other workers who dropped off waters, but he didn’t introduce himself nor mention his tardiness. Service thereafter was attentive and good. OVERALL: A lot more affordable than the big chains and with food that’s up and up with them. A definite return.

Stopped in based on their happy hour reviews and was blown away. Started out with the shrimp cocktail and to quite my boyfriend (who’s had a lot of shrimp in his days) “it was the best shrimp he’s had in his life. Also ordered a Caesar salad which was good. Enjoyed a couple glasses of Pinot while we waited for our DELICIOUS steaks: ribeye and New York Strip (with potato au gratin and a baked potato on the side). Out of this world. Reasonably priced, large cuts and prepared perfectly. Classic! Will definitely be coming back to Little Joes.

I had the ribeye, mashed potato and clam chowder. Everything to order is ala carte. Complimentary bread - This was a pretty unremarkable dinner roll and some butter. Mashed potato - excellent and good serving size Clam chowder - excellent but serving size is too small (small bowl for $15) Ribeye - Here's my problem with the meal. It was just slightly better than an average steak. It was $50 and the only seasoning I tasted was largely salt. I didn't see an option for steak butter or sauteed onions or mushrooms nor did the server offer any steak sauce so I really hoped that the steak would be phenomenal by itself.

Should’ve Gone to Outback Little Joe’s is the definition of mediocre. The only positive is that I didn’t die or throw up afterward. The downside is that my wallet is lighter and I regret every bite. The two filet mignons we ordered were barely passable. Mine was an untrimmed tenderloin with a rubbery, overcooked 3 ounce tail of collagen. Medium here apparently means medium-well. The baked potato looked and tasted microwaved and somehow cost eight bucks (maybe they flew it in from Ireland). The mashed potatoes were closer to potato soup than mash. Everything was edible, but just barely. This place actually made me miss Outback, and that’s saying a lot.

The Moana Surfrider, A Westin Resort & Spa, Waikiki Beach is a historic oceanfront hotel that has been welcoming guests since 1901. With its elegant blend of Victorian-era charm and modern amenities, this 793-room resort offers a variety of accommodations across three wings. Guests can enjoy refined dining options featuring locally-sourced ingredients and relax at the spa or outdoor pool.
Hands down the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at. The Moana Surfrider is literally the definition of luxury, from the second you walk into the lobby it feels grand, historic, and elegant. The rooms are beautiful and very comfortable, and you seriously can’t beat waking up right on Waikiki Beach. Everything about the stay was top tier, the service, the views, the atmosphere. The pool and beach access were perfect, and the whole place just has this timeless charm that makes it feel extra special compared to other hotels. If you want the full Waikiki experience, this is the place to be.

We had an incredible experience staying in a Diamond Head Ocean View King room in the tower. The view was absolutely breathtaking, and we loved just sitting on our balcony to enjoy it and listen to the waves. The room was extremely clean, modern, spacious, and comfortable. The main floor of the hotel was stunning with high ceilings and an open-air concept, offering great views and easy access to the beach. The staff at the front desk, restaurants, bars, etc. were all very kind and helpful. We loved breakfast at the Veranda.

Its the smallest and shortest but Its my favorite hotel out of all on Waikiki beach. I love the island decor and the vibe of this establishment! Breakfast here is delicious too! And the rocking chairs?!!! 🥰 we've had so many rainbow shaved ice (from next door) and cappuccino sips (also next door) on those rocking chairs!!! Its the perfect spot to cool off while people 👀

This hotel was one of the most beautiful hotels I’ve ever stayed at. From checking in to checking out, our entire stay was very beautiful and super smooth with everything we had to do. We received a beautiful gift upon arrival, and some after sun lotion. The hotel was informed that we were celebrating our engagement in Oahu, and they sent us a complementary bottle of champagne delivered to our room. The location of the hotel is very convenient, you can walk to everywhere in Waikiki, all the shops and the restaurants are super close by as well as the beach. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a good stay in Waikiki. Only downside was that the overnight parking was super expensive.

Attached my suite voucher and upgraded to ocean front suite on the fifth floor. The room is extraordinary and super clean and modern. My wife and I loved the room, as well as the decoration and design of the main lobby. The overall stay is super good. 9/10 experience. The only flaw is the breakfast. The selections stay the same across our three day stay, which makes it a bit boring. But the staffs are super helpful though.

Ok, so this place is really expensive and kind of shit. Stayed here because chase had a deal with hotels through "The Edit" that gives a property credit and good return on points and they usally have nice ones. This was not one. The bed was very comfortable, though the room was pretty small. Otherwise the pool/beach area was overcrowded with limited chairs. ( The umbrellas on the beach are empty but have an additional charge, not sure how much). The food was not great. The drinks were bad (like the saddest 20$ cocktail ever) . There are no showers outside the rooms (in case you were thinking of enjoying the beach on your last day after checkout). rating this as though i had paid the cost (apparently it's 500$) rather than the 250$ point equivalent i paid. If you can stay here for 250$, go for it, the beds are comfy and the location is great. This is not a 500$ per night location. On top of the high rates, you will be charged a 54$ property fee- i guess this covers wifi and yoga. If it's not included breakfast here will run you 48$ per person per day (it was included for us and itwas fine, but not worth 48$ at all- its a continental breakfast, higher end, but still hotel pastries and slightly congealed eggs). If you have the money to afford the prices this place charges, stay somewhere nicer. If not, stay a bit back from the water as this place only offers you crowds. The resorts nearby seem to run around 350$ per night and, from the beach, look way nicer. I feel like I stayed at the budget option rather than the high end one...

Came here to treat ourselves out and it was well worth it. We were seated and even though it was busy our server was not rushed, and the food came out perfectly on time! The food was delicious and perfectly portioned, steaks were cooked to temperature came out hot. Our server Joe was very attentive, knowledgeable and kind. A well deserved 5/5 stars, I would highly recommend this restaurant for a great overall dining expierence!

Black Angus Steakhouse – A Delicious Surprise Near Pearl City Our visit to Black Angus Steakhouse near Pearl City was a spur-of-the-moment decision, and I’m so glad we went. Sometimes the best meals are the ones you didn’t plan for—and this one absolutely hit the mark. 🥩 Exceptional Service & Atmosphere From the moment we walked in, the staff was welcoming and attentive, helping us choose the perfect entrées and making us feel right at home. The dim lighting created a cozy, relaxed atmosphere where you could actually talk without raising your voice. It was peaceful, quiet, and very clean and well-kept—a great setting for an enjoyable dinner. 🍽️ Delicious Food & Generous Portions The food? Excellent. Everything we ordered was cooked to perfection—flavorful, hot, and beautifully plated. And the portions were generous, definitely more than enough for one sitting. We had plenty to take home, which was a nice bonus! 🌟 Final Thoughts – Worth Every Bite If you’re in the Pearl City area and craving a hearty, satisfying meal with great service, Black Angus Steakhouse is a must-visit. Whether it’s a last-minute choice or a planned night out, you won’t be disappointed.

Great place! Service was great, would have been better if they played country music for a southern vibe. My chair was a little warn, could use replacing. Restaurant reminded me of Long Horn. Loved the different types of steaks

Hubby and I decided to come here for dinner since we have not been here in a while. Hubby liked his food. I got the Cobb salad 🥗 and it was okay. My salad seems like it had water. Our food took forever to get to us. The waitress and manager came and check up on us. Overall it is a nice place to have dinner.

An annual lunch with a friend. I ordered the 21-day wet aged prime rib. It came out hot and medium rare as ordered. Staff service was friendly and prompt. Lunch gave us the ability to be seated quickly. Parking is plentiful at this time. I will be back with my wife for the tomahawk steak for two.

Then miraculously she remembered me always wanting an extra cup of ice! How’s that possible. She went above and beyond helping us with the app for benefits too! Definitely going back next week for the deals and for Terry!

Beautiful atmosphere, loved the seating booths, they had very high back and gave much privacy. They have the best Mac n cheese I’ve never had at a chain restaurant. However they had the absolute worst steak I ever had at a steakhouse! I ordered a ribeye..it was over cooked and so tough. I was going to try to enjoy it but my jaws began to hurt and I felt this was unacceptable… I asked my waiter if he thought my steak was overcooked and he agreed, offering to have another made. I was so thankful bc this restaurant was a highlight on my itinerary. When my replacement steak came out, it wasn’t even a ribeye. It was cooked better but was no less tough. I asked the waiter was this a ribeye and he says yes… I knew it wasn’t, but didn’t want to send a plate back twice.

Came here on a steak-whim with 3 friends (4 people total) on a random Sunday evening and was surprised that the wait was an hour long. We did not know it would be so busy, but luckily, we were able to sit by the bar table area which isn’t bad at all! The staff were friendly and there was SO MUCH FOOD. For the price, it’s really quite worth it. Food was pretty good but not spectacular. It’s as expected. Service might be a little slow but also not bad. I’d recommend making an appointment before coming, and consider this place if you want pretty good food of this sort, for a pretty good price.

Guests rave about the attentive service, with managers personally checking in to ensure everything is perfect. Celebrating special occasions here feels extra special, as staff often go above and beyond—like surprising couples with complimentary treats to enhance their memorable moments.
What an incredible experience! My wife & I came here for our 15 year anniversary and the manager came by everybody's table to check on the service. He's a truly leads his staff from the front. He recommended the wagyu tomahawk to us which was cooked perfectly. Since he knew it was our anniversary, he came and brought us a glass of lemon cello that tasted so good, on the house. He took care of our dessert as well. The staff, the food, everything was "A+" Our waitress was amazing! I will be coming back again. The views were amazing, and the bartender definitely knows what he is doing 👌

A very nice place for good steaks. There were a lot of birthday celebrations going on when I went with my daughter and it was my birthday as well. The piano player would play “Happy Birthday” every time somebody would get their comp piece of cake with a candle and there were so many that night that he might as well have been playing happy birthday all night!!! 🤣🤣 But the food was great and our server was very king and attentive. The Empire steak which is supposed to be for 2 people looked to me like good for 4 people. It was a lot for 2. The ambiance of the place is very classy but comfortable. The view is obviously very beautiful being that it is on the top of the Ilikai.

If you’re looking for an elegant steak experience in Honolulu, then Empire Steak House is a must. We ordered The Emperor’s Steak for Two and it was absolutely phenomenal. It comes with two different cuts, each perfectly cooked to a beautiful medium rare with a gorgeous sear and melt in your mouth texture. The ambiance is classy yet comfortable, with attentive service that made us feel genuinely welcome. Honolulu has plenty of great dining options, but Empire Steak House stands out as a must visit for anyone who appreciates top tier steakhouse. Highly recommend!

Don’t waste your time or money. Service was awful. Took 30 minutes just to get a cocktail menu, then another 30 for drinks (4 old fashioneds, 1 cosmopolitan, 2 iced teas)—and the bar was empty. Our mains didn’t come out together, and we had to keep telling a random server (not even our waiter) what was missing. Food was just as bad: steak unevenly seasoned, lamb unevenly cooked and served with brown gravy, and mushy rigatoni passed off as “pappardelle” with a sauce that tasted like a frozen TV dinner. The manager admitted the lamb was undercooked but then tried to convince me the pasta was correct. Our waiter was nowhere to be found—too busy with “coffees and desserts” for other tables. Nothing was done to fix or even acknowledge the issues. We still tipped, but only out of principle. Check the photos. Don’t go! FYI, I emailed them right away after Empire replied to this review asking me to message them. I am still waiting for a response. It’s 10/14 as of today.

HI Steaks Ala Moana is an American steakhouse located at 1450 Ala Moana Blvd, Honolulu, Oahu, HI. The restaurant offers a variety of dishes including steak, shrimp, kimchee slaw, garlic chicken and Aloha Steak Poke Bowl. While some customers found the steak to be perfectly cooked and delicious, others felt that it could use more seasoning. The shrimp was described as bland and needing more flavor.
Steak poke bowl is quite good. Had it with the spinach and mushrooms and the spicy sauce.
Wayne L — Google review
Ordered four different plates, steak was awesome, can do with seasoning the steak instead of just giving garlic butter on the side, but the cook was perfect, soft, tender, so delicious as far as the cut and cook were. Shrimp was bland, needs salt, and we should have added the extra garlic butter probably. Kimchee slaw didn't have enough kimchee flavor, maybe just spicy slaw? Garlic chicken was good, probably better if eaten fresh, as it is deep fried. Still good though. Overall not too bad of an experience, would totally just only order steak from here, as that is their specialty. Had it delivered and couldn't eat it right away, so I can't comment on the temp of the food itself, but the steak never got overcooked when it just sat, so I guess it wasn't super hot when it came to me. I am far enough away to understand that it's cooled off.

I come to rhis foodland store all the time and once in awhile, I like to stop and get take outs from Hi-Steaks. I normally get the sirloin, but today I changed and got the keawe smoke meat. Well, it's not what I've expected. The smoke meat did not taste like it at all. It was greasy, tough and too much fat in the meat. I did not like thay at all. Shame For some reason, this place always seems to be dirty inside. The tables, chairs and walls does not look clean, and I've seen homeless people hangout inside this eatery.

Had a Friday special, Aloha Steak Poke Bowl for $12.... Nothing specially good nor bad, food was what it was but the steak meat was decent. I asked for spicy sauce, you know for being a Korean, haha, but it wasn't spicy at all, even by American standards. The service wasn't great neither, not friendly, kind of rude, a sub-standard even for fast food place.... Update: This time I tried the Loco Moco, and it was delicious!!!! Don't let the dark color of the gravy scare you, it's actually pretty good, kind of Korean jjajang sauce. I would have liked the hamburger steak as medium-rare but it was well-done. Still, I upgrade to 4-star after today's visit.

Pretty slow service, unclear instructions, and a warm beer. Steak was decent, but everything else was average at best.

Always tasty. 7/21 this time the steak is still tasty. The chicken was not the best. Pork belly is tasty. 3/22. Always a good place around the area if I can’t figure out what to eat
Eldon N — Google review
Overall pretty good. Steak was cooked medium for the most part but some pieces were well done without a doubt. Doneness does not really bother me but I know some people care. I ordered a mix plate, 2 choices, with steak and shrimp. It came with 7 shrimp which was a pleasant surprise considering the regular shrimp meal comes with 10 shrimp. They either forgot the furikake or give very little (you can be the judge based on the pictures). Extra sauce isn't really worth it. The chimichurri was great the garlic butter was okay. Also eat the garlic butter fast because it solidifies as it cools, like butter normally does. I'd go back.
Lambert L — Google review
While I love Shitorokiya’s many dining options, when I want great steak in a fast casual setting at Ala Moana, I head to Foodland for this location of HI Steaks. The steaks are on the rare side, which is how I like them, and incredibly flavorful. The portions are generous, and you can create your own plate if none of the combinations appeal to your taste buds that day. If you’re not starving, you could easily share a combo plate. On my most recent visit, I was traveling solo and didn’t want to carry leftovers so I just asked for one scoop fries rice and 1/4 lb of steak. The bowl and a soda cost about $12 and I was satisfyingly full with the meal. Don’t forget to get one of the sauces - I’m a fan of the horseradish one, it’s pretty mild and won’t make your eyes water. Also love the spacious seating area nearby - very convenient when you need a break from power shopping!

I used to love coming here like 10 years ago. I wanted to try it again and was very disappointed. The service was great, the workers were nice and fast. However, the food is not the same as before. It was not tasty at all, im so sorry that I have to say that. I got the steak and garlic shrimp combo for 18-19$ before tax and tip. The steak was shredded up pieces like it was shredded Philly style or like a Korean bulgogi. Lacking flavor and had that old smell to it. Shrimp was better but still a little lacking. Rice was dry and salad looks a little sad. I dont think i would come back for that.
James W — Google review
The food was made quick. My chicken was a bit dry. The steak was ok, I thought it would be a big price then sliced after cooking.
Eldon N — Google review
I have supported this business before although their prices have gotten very high. I bought a $16 plate & asked for one extra garlic sauce. They wanted to charge me in extra 50 cents, after paying 16$ for a plate. The sauce they gave me was basically empty & they forgot my soda which comes with the plate. Never coming here again. Without the garlic sauce their steak is very dry, even at medium rare.

Poke texture is rubbery, and they put lots of spice and pepper for their shoyu poke, not sure how fresh is the fish. Even the rice is mushy.

Steak Teppei is a casual take-out spot that offers affordable steaks, originating from Japan in the 1970s. It aims to make steak accessible to younger audiences at reasonable prices. Located in the Makai Market of Ala Moana Center, it promises to provide the best steak at affordable prices. Customers praise the perfectly cooked and seasoned steak bites, succulent shrimps, and just-right portions of rice and salad.
In the Ala Moana Food Court, humongous food court with about 30 different places to eat. Tender steak, succulent shrimp with a tasty salad and steamed rice. I spent just under $30 for this one dish, but given the high quality steak and large shrimp, the price was justified IMO.

It is kind of wild to think that one of the best steak spots in Hawaii is in a mall foodcourt, but the flavors of the meat and the hand made sauces have really set a new standard! Crazy tasty, and really friendly staff. I always go here when I am in town.
Peter R — Google review
Putting it simply, steak was a perfect medium rare and seasoned just right. The shrimp was a little disappointing, but at least it was shelled, definitely not Giovanni's so don't expect shrimp truck style shrimp. That garlic sauce though, I think it was called garlic punch? If you love garlic you'll be in love with this sauce. It was creamy, garlicky and delicious. I actually took the remainder home to find something to eat it with. In the end, I'd probably recommend just getting the steak plate and skip the shrimp. And enjoy that garlic sauce! Update 2025: Food is still REALLY good, but doesn't seem like you get a choice of side anymore. I just got salad with my plate. Also wish the service was Abit more friendlier especially when spending $40+ on a plate...

Quite possibly the best tasting steak I have had in a very long time… and I frequent steak houses back home in AZ. This was delicious and fast service. Presentation of food looks just like the display case. Food was just under $30 but it was enough food for my husband and I to share.

The food here is delicious. The steak was cooked perfectly, the shrimp was also cooked and seasoned delectably. The chicken Karage is another worthy entrée. Don't forget the garlic sauce. If you're a garlic lover, this sauce will hit the spot. Even if you're not a garlic lover, the flavor will entice you!

Usually when I see "steak" medallions or bites like this, they are overcooked and underflavored. But, I gave it a shot. Amazing. Tasted like a steak out if a 5 star restaurant. Perfectly garlic, tender and juicy. Perfection in every bite. The sides are top notch, and the sauces and seasoning...I'll spend the rest of my life trying to copy those for brisket back home. Higher than expected price tag, but absolutely worth every penny. Only negative I'll give is they wouldn't sell me a t-shirt. Will recommend

Not exactly a professional coffee shop or cafe, they serve quality coffee drinks from an espresso machine behind the bar inside the car dealership. Nice server makes me a drink close to a cortado and it is good, though a bit high priced with only to-go cup options. Lots of seating w/ covered seating outside if you don’t mind the traffic. It’s all there for a great coffee shop but it’s not the restaurant’s priority. To-go food options look really good as well. High-quality spot for people with too much money… but if you’re walking by it’s good 🤙🏼 4.5/5

The smash burger was good, comes with the skinniest fries. The chicken sandwich was not good (also came with fries). ~$60 for the two sandwiches, a drink, and tip. Great place for lunch after a visit to I'olani Palace. Lunch restaurant
Feast by Jon Matsubara has gained popularity for its Instagram-famous lobster roll, which was initially a special but is now a daily offering due to its success. The four-ounce chilled lobster meat mixed with dashi-and soy umami mayo is served on toasted Kings Hawaiian rolls with scallions, dill, and Shinsato Farms Meyer lemon juice, accompanied by shoestring fries. Online ordering is convenient, although there were delays in receiving updates.
Amazing LOBSTER ROLL….. after in the Maine after in Massachusetts after in the Keys after in Florida again …Hawaii. A few words after my experience => we’ll come back in Friday (march 21th) 😋🫠😁

Go to spot for the best lobster rolls on the island. Good size portions, high quality ingredients, & friendly service.
Michael J — Google review
Had lunch here and came for the Salt Beef Watercress Soup. Possibly my favorite beef soup ever! Also had a nice hibiscus tea which is unsweetened but they have simple syrup if you’d like. Also Sake is amazing!!! Highly recommend and will be back asap

Online ordering was very easy and I ordered my food the night before. I opted to get text updates but only got an update that my food will be 15 mins later than the original pick up time I had chosen. I did not get a message that my food was ready so I just walked in the restaurant and they already had my package sitting in the pick up area. It was my first time eating a lobster roll sandwich so I really don't have anything compared to, but it was yummy and made me want to try lobster rolls from other restaurants! My parents also liked the chicharrones. However, I wasn't a fan of JFC.... it seemed dry and the chicken was a little tough. I would visit the restaurant again to try their burger and other dishes!

No nonsense, delicious food. This isn’t the fancy night out… it’s just great fresh food. Fist lobster roll I’ve had in Hawai’i. Definitely going back to try some other dishes.

So far, in my top 3 of lobster rolls on the island. Also went on Cheese Steak Saturday. I'm not sure if it's an every Saturday special or a hit or miss. Either way, it was delicious! It was made with good quality steak and a ton of gooey melty cheese! I wish the lobster roll was a little more meaty for the price, so that's why it gets a one star hit. Both sandwiches came with well seasoned shoestring style fries. They are a hit, but you have to eat them fresh because they cool quickly! All in all, I look forward to going back to try the other stuff on the menu!
Ondirae R — Google review
The lobster 🦞 roll was BOMB!!! Loaded with meat and flavor was the perfect balance - not too overpowering, so you still got the fresh taste of lobster, but hint of dill, lemon, chive. Love the shoestring fries. Was a bit disappointed with the side salad/dressing.
Angelica W — Google review
Lobster Roll pretty good. Nice chunks of claws in there with a subtle dressing. Straight forward sandwich. Not a shoe string fries guy myself but at least it came with it. I liked what they're doing with the menu and adaptive service. Menu is nice and simple and I will continue to support. Good job guys and good luck!

The Butcher Bar by Aloha Steak House is a new, more casual and affordable spinoff of the neighboring Aloha Steak House. It prides itself on showcasing the artistry of butchery and utilizing Hawaii's fresh ingredients to create a sustainable and approachable menu.
We had a lovely dinner at The Butcher Bar, a quiet and inviting spot featuring both a dining area and a bar section. The relaxed atmosphere made for a comfortable experience, enhanced by the friendly and welcoming staff. To start, we tried the Lobster Mac & Cheese Bites, and they were an absolute delight—perfectly crispy on the outside with a rich, flavorful filling. The highlight of the meal, however, was the Bone Marrow Burger a fantastic balance of taste and texture, offering great value for both its size and unique flavor combination. Our final order was the steak of the day, which, while tasty, felt overpriced considering the portion size. Despite this, the overall experience was enjoyable, and the inviting ambiance made for a pleasant evening. If you're looking for a relaxed and welcoming restaurant with standout dishes like the Bone Marrow Burger and Lobster Mac & Cheese Bites, The Butcher Bar is definitely worth a visit.

Top-notch steakhouse food with great open air street-side gastropub atmosphere. Water is incredibly flavored, today it was orange and mint. Watermelon salad had true thoughtfulness in design: balsamic, feta, mint, and arugula; the perfect balance of many seemingly dichotomous flavors. We ordered the "Bartender's choice" with our favorite liquor, and they delivered delicious complexity in a drink that other bars either ignore or can't attain. We came for the bone marrow burger, and it did not disappoint - meat juices slightly absorbed into the bun, the burger was tender, no hard over-pressed meat block here, the onions and cheese reminiscent of french onion soup, and smokey applewood bacon. The Kona Coffee creme brulee (pictured) was the only thing I had time to take a picture of before it was devoured, but don't infer an inferior flavor: it also was well balanced: the toasted-marshmallow-flavored burnt sugar and dalgona whip make it the one and only treat you need to end the night on. Splitting hairs, we think the bacon may muddle the bone marrow flavor because the bacon is so flavorful, so we were delighted when they let us order it again (after devouring the first one) sans bacon but with lettuce, which I think allowed the bone marrow to lead, and added a crunch that doesn't overpower that bone marrow. Overall if they aren't on the list for a Michelin Star they should be. Service was amazing, the servers and bartenders were kind and attentive (Thank you Megan and Terry!) - we found our favorite Honolulu burger spot!

Several weeks ago, we managed to snag a reservation at Butcher Bar for get together with a friend of ours. It had been a while since we last saw them and we usually have to go out to their side of the island to meet up, so it was refreshing for the drive to only be a few minutes. We were particularly excited to order their burger, which is only around $20 and includes a side of fries. You rarely see a deal like that nowadays. It especially unheard of in an area like Waikiki. But somehow, they managed to pull it off. The servers were nice, and that was pleasant. The Burger King stacked high with bacon, cheese, bone marrow, and caramelized onions. It was definitely tasty, since they use the trim from the steakhouse. The one critique that we have is my bun ended up being relatively soaked by the time I was halfway through the burger. And I am a pretty quick eater. But that wasn't a problem for the other two people in my party so it was likely an outlier. With that said, I would definitely go back. One more thing to note is that the parking is actually located across the street. It's a bit of a tight parking lot so definitely be prepared for that when you are headed over. Additionally, we thought that the validation covered parking/most of the parking. However, we still ended up paying about $12 each for parking after the validation. This isn't necessarily a dig on the restaurant, it might've been the error of the machine, not reading our validation properly. Regardless, just an additional thing to plan before you make your visit.

Maybe the best happy hour deal on the island! $3 draft beers with their $17 dollar bone marrow cheeseburger + fries 4-6pm. The burger was the absolute best I’ve had in ages. The burger was very juicy and charamelized onion was delightful. The generous portion of potato skin fries was also great. We also ordered the Ahi nachos. Theses were not my favorite, mostly due to the chips, which were more like fried dough than the corn tortilla chips I expected (think Taco Bell chips) The place is small, but not too far a walk from Waikiki strip.
Scott G — Google review
Speak easy vibe with the great mixologist behind the bar serving up selection of drinks. If your favorite is not on the menu, just ask! The chill vibe is definitely appreciated, especially in Waikiki. I had the Bone Marrow burger, which was a generous portion of meat and super flavorful for only $20! This place is definitely a hidden gem
Sabrina G — Google review
The Butcher Bar burger is probably a better burge than you will find at home for a lot more. For $20 here you’re not going to find something better. I’m from Virginia and this is easily a $30 meal for me back home.
John K — Google review
What a gem in Waikiki! We had bone marrow toast and bone marrow burger and both were great. Very nice atmosphere and service. The price of the burger (17$) is very low considering it’s quality and the location.

Nestled within the vibrant Waikiki Food Hall on the third floor of the Royal Hawaiian Center, Meataly Boys is a hidden gem that promises a delightful culinary experience. This eatery specializes in grilled steaks sourced from Niku-Toro, renowned for its mouthwatering rib steaks served alongside local Hawaiian vegetables. The Steak Combo Plate is a must-try, featuring succulent yakiniku and tender steak that will leave you feeling satisfied.
Amazing experience at Meataly Boys! The quality of the meat was exceptional—perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor. The portions were generous, and the service was friendly and attentive. If you’re a meat lover, this spot is a must-visit

Ordered the loco moco. The patty was dry and chewy. The gravy tasted like it was made from an instant gravy pack. Disappointing experience for my first time having loco moco. The kimchi and the macaroni salad on the side was the saving grace for the dish.
Angela C — Google review
I was excited to try the beef curry at Meatly Boys, and the flavor didn't disappoint! It was really good. However, I have to be honest, as a 160-pound guy, I was hoping for a bit more food. It felt a little light. For the price, a slightly bigger portion would definitely make it a better deal.
Radley O — Google review
Next time, read the reviews on Google Maps before eating at any place. I write a lot of reviews and in general I would read reviews. Unfortunately today, the place I wanted to go was closed (the burger place), so I just randomly picked this place, it was a mistake. This place would have been a solid 3* in California and probably even a 4* somewhere in Omaha; however with all the good food here in Oahu, this place should be rated a 2*. I had the beef and chicken combo. The chicken was dry and hard to chew (way overcooked), the beef was thinly sliced, so it wasn’t as bad as the chicken, but still cooked too long (need to do a better training of its cook); the macaroni salad was not good at al and certainly it can’t compare with some of the other local favorites in town. I actually broke three plastic forks trying to pick up the chicken, not joking. I can’t complaint about the quantity as it was enough for lunch. But the good thing is that the sitting area was very comfortable and relaxing, away from the businesses on the first floor. In case you are interested in its location, it is on the third floor, Building C of the Royal Hawaiian Center.

So so good! My husband and I shared the beef, chicken, pork, and sausage plate and everything was seasoned and cooked to perfection 😍 Will definitely come back and try their pork chop with gravy next time. Update: we came back, my husband has the beef yakiniku and me the pork chop with gravy -- both were super yummy too! 😊

I don’t ever “not recommend” a place however, this will be my first time. I have no idea if they have multiple locations but they don’t have the options that you see people loved there’s a limited menu when you place an order they walk over to another booth called the shrimp booth and those people fix the order, everything is really bland and the steak was tough the Mac salad being in Hawaii and having it taste like that was also a bummer. The menu on the counter had a lot of things blocked off and said sold out they don’t have sausage they don’t have gravy they don’t have condiments like salt and pepper so I went over to the shrimp place and got my condiments. They also messed up my order, but fixed it. This is in a food court. My husband’s order was also unimpressive and bland.
TheFlyGirl — Google review
I had absolutely no idea what to expect coming to this place, but I was pleasantly surprised to find that the food is insanely good. My wife and I ordered the special combo plate “deluxe” which was about $14 and we were served a massive plate of delicious food. It has meat, macaroni salad and kimchi. We could not finish it all! There was so much food. Highly recommend. This place is a VALUE
Zach G — Google review
Had the Special Combo Plate DX. Spicy chicken was my favorite and good portions as well! Reviews mention a lack of communication between a separate ordering counter and the actual vendor. No longer the case, you order at their booth.

I absolutely loved this restaurant! The pear dish and the lobster pasta were my two favorites — both were full of flavor and served steaming hot. Absolutely blown away by our experience at Flair! Hawai‘i has truly been missing a dining destination of this caliber. Every detail, from the elevated service and warm hospitality to the beautifully crafted menu and exceptional dishes, was spot on. If you're looking for a refined, well-balanced dining experience with top-tier service, Flair is it. Huge credit to Valentino and Chef Florin for bringing such an outstanding concept to life. Ask for Andreea as your server, she made our night unforgettable!

Upscale Eastern European cuisine at its finest on Oahu. The dining experience and service are excellent. The commissioned artwork creates a luxurious atmosphere. Now open for happy hour, with cocktails crafted with skill and artistry. The tomahawk presentation is unmatched by any other dining experience.

The quality of the food was spectacular! We enjoyed fresh oysters, steak, and pasta. Meanwhile I appreciate ordering chicken tenders for my picky eater- though she did try a bite of the pasta! We were there on a live music night. The noise ambiance was perfect, we enjoyed casual conversation with my table during the music too. The staff were so thoughtful and genuinely kind. 10/10 would go again.

Flair European Steakhouse is amazing. I recently celebrated my birthday there and I absolutely loved it. We were a larger group and they acomodated and took care of us from the moment we walked in all the way to the end. Service was impeccable, including carving steaks table side and special wine decanter that made me an my group feel very special. I highly recommend Flair European Steakhouse to anyone who is looking for upscale food and atmosphere for any type of occasion. I like to thank the professional staff and the manager as well as the owner Constantin Dobrescu who made everything possible 😉😀😄
