Hawaiian restaurant
Breakfast restaurant
Restaurant
Kai Market is a spacious restaurant located in the Sheraton Waikiki, offering market-fresh buffet options with views of Waikiki Beach. The establishment serves daily breakfast in a relaxed indoor or outdoor setting, overlooking the expansive ocean and the pool's edge. Guests can enjoy the Island Breakfast Buffet to start their day in Hawaii. The restaurant also offers dinner with a variety of smorgasbord options.
As an Ambassador, our continental breakfast was pretty ordinary, but all the servers tried to accommodate our preferences... It'd be unfair to not mention my special girls, Taylor and Trish, who provided the best experience for me at breakfast. All servers were great! I miss them greatly! The view is good...
Alexandra A — Google review
Pricey yes but the portions are good and it's convenient being on site of the hotel. Our server Dana was very sweet and helpful. I tried the Acai Bowl and my husband got the eggs, potatoes and sausage. Everything tasted fresh and came out very quickly. We went there about a half hour before closing and it was fairly empty. So if you are looking to avoid the rush and crowds, around 9:30 to10am is a good time.

It's great to have breakfast here, right next to the beach and enjoy a delicious breakfast while looking at the sea! I ordered Ube waffle, it was so delicious, they stuffed the crispy waffle with ube cream inside ! $30 Chicken moco also is great but the chicken was too skinny ! $30 Service is friendly .

Came around 6:30am for breakfast (since we were up from jet lag). Prices are a little high but I feel like that’s to be expected in Hawaii. Service was good. I got uber waffles ($30) & my husband got local style beef hash (or something along those lines. $28).
Nicole L — Google review
Kai market is a restaurant in Sheraton. We had breakfast at this restaurant for entire trip. This has indoor+ outdoor seating. Indoor seating is as good as outdoor as this has huge glass sliding doors that gives outdoor effect to everything. Views are breathtaking. It’s oceanfront overlooking Waikiki beach. Food was decent. Omelette was really good. They can have much better options in continental option. Currently they had standard chilly regular fruits, sugary yogurt, granola mix with chopped nuts and server had no clue what nuts are in. Coffee was served and refilled cold. I am allergic and had to leave it as no idea what nuts they were using. Servers were very elderly and very sweet and friendly. I am giving 4 star as the views were stunning and the servers were super friendly.
Nidhi S — Google review
Hard pass. The *only* reason to go here is if you Bonvoy Platinum or better, because then you get a complementary continental breakfast. If you do come here, you'll notice there is almost never a wait and the place is never full. Because.... you generally only make the mistake of coming here once. Lets start off at the top. It's EXPENSIVE. You are already paying close to $500/night to stay here (at the bottom end) and they cannot provide any breakfast included? Ok, but then your run of the mill "bacon and eggs" (the "american breakfast" which is 3 eggs, your choice of meat) breakfast is $30. Oh, but they'll say that also includes a drink, like a $5 black coffee. I'm not coffee expert but it didn't taste like anything special, nor does the menu say it's Kona coffee. So we're talking coffee that makes Starbucks better and cheaper. But here's the thing that really drove me to write this. Beyond the food being expensive and average at best. Today I ordered eggs over easy. I *never* send back food, I'll eat just about anything you give me. But what I ended up with was eggs that has been passed by a fire. The white was almost entire liquid, I should have taken a picture but I was so shocked and forgot. Sent it back and they had the gall to suggest that I didn't know eggs and should order over medium - which I acquiesced to just to get something edible. The result was hard fried, but at least over medium. I'm sorry, if you ONLY do breakfast and it's a $30 breakfast for 3 eggs, 4 slices of sausage and 3 potatoes... you gotta be able to do it right. Also, know what over easy should and shouldn't look like. If it looks like white water, something is seriously wrong. For the $50+/night resort fee, the Sheraton should just make this a place a light continental breakfast that's included for all. Maybe it was better in a pre-COVID hey-day, but now the place looks quiet sad.
Jon D — Google review
This has been the poorest service we’ve experienced in Hawaii so far. Even though we ordered first, our breakfast took over 20 minutes to arrive, and no water was ever served. After the food was brought out, there was no follow-up service at all. Feel very disappointed. Once again, the difference comes down to the server rather than the restaurant itself.

Great environment, views, and service. Eggs Benedict was very disappointing. $42 for a bland dish with grocery store toast is not worth the visit.

Bar
Nestled alongside RumFire at the Sheraton Waikiki, The Edge of Waikiki is a hidden gem that promises an unforgettable experience. This outdoor bar boasts an infinity pool with breathtaking views of the ocean, making it the perfect spot to unwind. Guests can indulge in a delightful menu featuring signature cocktails and light bites infused with Hawaiian flavors, such as fish tacos and fire-grilled burgers.
What a place! We have stayed been to the Sheraton in the past, but didn't spend a lot of time at the Edge. Fantastic location. Closest bar you will find to the beach! The service at the bar area was outstanding. Thank you Loc's and Margie for a great experience! You guys are exceptional! The views were unreal! Live music was great.
Andrew — Google review
Very nice bar to dine outside and enjoy the ocean view and sunset. I just got a few drinks, nothing major or to boast about. The bacon cheeseburger isnt a lil burger, I'll tell you that much. It felt like a pound of meat. I had to finish the rest without the bun and it was still a bit left over, you definitely will get your money's worth. And I had a lil friend that sat with me for a bit 🥰
Zro C — Google review
Very nice, direct view of the sea. Pleasant live music (guitar & vocals). Juices and cocktails in disposable plastic cups, taste OK. Friendly service.
Liam L — Google review
Fantastic lunch options. I was fully satisfied with the appetizer poke dip and the gorgeous view. The ukelele is a great touch!
Heart — Google review
I went there for lunch, and while soda refills were free, orange juice seemed to be an additional charge. I wish there had been clearer instructions. The Japanese-speaking staff member who came to explain was also rude. The receipt included a tip, but I have no intention of tipping for service like this. I was disappointed.
S S — Google review
Our flight was delayed for 5 hours so we spent time here after we checked out. I am glad that we had the opportunity because we typically hang out in the infinity pool (because it is so beautiful) and don't usually sit at the bar. The best part of this experience was the bartender Locks (Locksey)-she is so down to earth, friendly and the type of person who makes you feel at home immediately! The drinks, cheeseburger and view also made for a great time!
Scott S — Google review
I really would have love to rate this place higher. The scenery is nice. The seating is a bit limited but overall my issue is around the quality of the food. Most of the food here is subpar and not matching the quality expected of Sheraton. After a few tries, we decided to eat in neighboring restaurants for quick bite.

Bodies of Water
Makapuʻu Tide Pools are a hidden gem off the beaten path, offering crystal clear pools for swimming and stunning photo opportunities. Located near the Makapu`u Lighthouse trail, these picturesque tide pools provide breathtaking views of the Ka Iwi coast. However, it's important to be cautious as the waves can be unpredictable. The side trail to the tide pools is steep and rocky, so proper footwear is essential.
Stunning tide pools but the way down is pretty sketchy. Wear sturdy shoes and bring a bathing suit/towel if you want to swim in the tide pools. There are white arrows painted on the rocks to show you the best way up and down. Highly recommend following those instead of finding a different way.
Tori J — Google review
Steep getting down if you don't know where to go. There are arrows pointing the way but if you have to climb down a bit before you start to see them. We only noticed them on our way up. But take your time and you will find a suitable path down. The tide pools were fun to see. I love tide pools. Bring water shoes!
Tina H — Google review
Makapu’u Tide Pools 🪨💧 Getting to the tide pools was an adventure on its own. I hiked a long way and then had to climb down what felt like a huge mountain just to reach them. Honestly, if you’re not in shape or don’t have the right shoes, it’s tough. But once you get there, it’s so worth it. The pools themselves are wild. They’re full of life including sea urchins, sea cucumbers, crabs, little fish swimming around, even starfish tucked into the rocks. The water was so clear you could see everything moving right beneath you. Swimming there felt surreal, like you’re floating in your own little pocket of ocean while the waves crash into the pools. It’s not the easiest spot to reach, but that’s what makes it feel special. A must visit in Oahu, with views that remind you just how wild and beautiful the island really is.
Anthony — Google review
Go to this Tidepool all the time when I was there. Steep to get down to the Tidepool but when you get there, you’ll see couple of Tidepool and have fun. Would not recommend going on a strong waves or bad weather kind of day. Wouldn’t take kids there aswell only avid hikers or others that can handle the steep hill down to this Tidepool and back. I get to explore everything left and right of the spot when I’m down at the Tidepool but that’s only if you want to explore more there but can be dangerous if you’re not into it.
Jerome A — Google review
Definitely a tough trek to get to them! But worth the adventure. Very steep and lots of loose rocks. No clear path, but there are some spray painted markings to help guide you. I recommend having water shoes for once you get down to them because the rocks were very hot and slick once you're in the pools. Such a beautiful experience and also a blow hole you can see.
Kelsey G — Google review
Awesome quiet spot. 10 min walk down on rocky paths & totally worth the trek! Some shady trees you can set your stuffs. Plenty of fishes and sea urchins tucked inside rocks, dont miss out on spotting the crabs too. Highly recommended and we had such a good time here all day. Bring your own snorkle equipments and you can swim out a little bit to spot bigger fishes!
Hester P — Google review
It’s a beautiful tide pool but not really worth the hike in my opinion. The trip to and from the tide pool is pretty arduous, even following the marked path. Only go if you’re an advanced hiker and can make it down and back. Bring water and stay hydrated! Wear your sunscreen. The heat can hit you pretty quick on the side of the mountain.
Christina B — Google review
Awesome experience! Quads were killing me next couple of days! But that was my fault. Keep an eye out for chalked arrows on the rocks! They'll guide you the easy route! I did extra climbing on the fastest route!

Baskin-Robbins is a chain of ice cream specialty shops that offers many flavors, as well as sorbet and yogurt. It is known for its delicious ice cream and treats, such as waffle cones and sundaes. The service was excellent, and the ice cream melted quickly.
This is the location that Barack Obama used to work at and we have been visiting for 3 generations now. The ice cream is as expected. The parking can be tricky and busy. There is a small lot, one next door that is OK to use if all the stores in that area are closed and street parking. When we arrived, it was unusually empty, but it quickly filled up. Service was quick and efficient.

This lovely gentleman helped me with my very first online order on a hilarious customized birthday cake. He definitely went above and beyond and saved my child’s birthday party. He honestly deserves a raise. I wish I remembered his name, but he was a legend! Side note: I was supposed to pick the cake up at 4pm and ended up getting it 3 hours earlier! #blessed

12/2022 Always a great location to get your sweet fix on! Always courteous and nice workers. The menu and selections are what it is but the employees, to me, make my banana royale with chocolate and jamoca almond fudge taste better. 😋
JMAC — Google review
Dessert after dinner. Might as well since it's only a few steps away from where we had dinner. Green tea matcha and peanut butter ice cream and chocolate and jamoca ice cream. Service was great. Ice cream was yummy. Nice place to go after dinner.
Ami ( — Google review
Well I am very disappointed and surprised with what came next on this pre packed Jamoca Almond. Empty bottom! I always go to this King Street store. The prices went up and I am willing to pay for this because it is the best. But empty bottom packing. For this visit it should be a 1 star.
Paul E — Google review
Best place in town to get a real banana split! Definitely worth trying, if you have a sweet-tooth like me. They also carry Baskin Robbins ice cream birthday cakes which are customizable and some that are ready to go! Another great option is their ice cream sandwiches. You pick your favorite flavor of ice cream and they place it between your choice of 2 freshly made cookies! And yes, they have quite a few different types of cookies. If you’re in Oahu, you should definitely give them a try!

Manoa Valley District Park is located in the affluent residential neighborhood of Manoa, Honolulu, surrounded by picturesque mountains and offering a range of dining options. The park features well-maintained facilities including a gym, swimming pool, tennis and basketball courts, as well as amenities for youth baseball. It is easily accessible with a large parking lot at the end of Kaaipu Ave. The area is lush and green after rainy seasons but can be windy and dusty on occasion.
We decided to have a picnic lunch with the kids This was a great place to spread a big blanket and enjoy the shade of the beautiful trees and the sounds of birds while eating and playing with the kids. Great for reading a good book or just taking a nap.
Mary L — Google review
Very nice park but many inconsiderate people with dogs off-leash. My grandson was terrified when dogs came running up to him. Telling a 9 year old that your dog doesn't bite doesn't help. Who's supposed to be enforcing the leash laws?
Sanford V — Google review
Gorgeous trail. Easy and fast. The picture below is a side track towards the end. Definitely recommend. Easy paid parking as well. Be ready to have muddy shoes.

Situated in middle of picturesque Mānoa Valley adjacent to Mānoa Stream and residential homes. Large and spacious community park with well maintained facilities including a gym, swimmimg pool, tennis and basketball courts, facilities for youth baseball. Easy access. Large parking lot at end of Kaʻaipu Ave. Area is very green after rainy season and on sunny days. However it rains often and is sometimes very windy. Gets dusty when baseball infields are raked on windy days.

Great water Fall. There's not a huge amount of water from the fall. The trail is rough, Rocky and slippery and muddy. But fun and amazing. Take a stick for support. It's about a 1.5 miles. Music for fun. Wear old but good boots or sneakers. You may Not want to do this hike if you have knee, ankle or leg problems. It's not an easy think hike but it's worth it.

Nestled in a residential neighborhood, McCully District Park & Pool is a delightful hidden gem that offers much more than meets the eye. This public park features an inviting outdoor swimming pool, measuring 25 yards long and 20 yards wide, with depths reaching up to 6 feet. The pool holds an impressive half a million liters of chlorinated water, making it perfect for lap swimming or just cooling off on warm days.
I love this pool! Being on vacation I started to miss my lap swimming when I came across this little gem of a pool. Always clean, water is perfect temp. They have a great process for using the pool. Shower first & see the lifeguard for a lane to swim. This makes it so comfortable & easy for every one. The lifeguards are amazing! I highly recommend McCully Pool. And its free

Located on Richards Street, the YWCA Laniakea, which translates to "open skies" or "wide horizons," is a hidden gem in Haleiwa. It's not just a building but also a place where you can experience various activities and events. The YWCA Laniakea offers programs like Dress for Success, which provides professional attire for job interviews and support for low-income individuals. Additionally, it serves as a fitness center with an inclusive environment and excellent staff.
This place is such a home feeling.. THE PROGRAMS THEY OFFER TO WOMEN FOR REBUILDING THEIR LIVES AND FOUNDATION MADE ME BELIEVE I COULD STRIVE FOR MORE IN LIFE. I will always call this place my family. Every time I go there, it's like I never left!! Every staff member is incredible and the volunteers are so genuine. Thank you YWCA for her the support and love unconditionally ❤️
STEVETTE V — Google review
Some of the most exquisite architecture can be found at the YWCA in downtown Honolulu. It's a great place for a workout if you're a woman. It's also a great place to learn how to run a business for women although I see some men attend a classes as well. One of the best restaurants in downtown Honolulu for lunch, is Cafe Julia located inside the YWCA. Friendly staff, great food, and overall good atmosphere for a business lunch meeting.
John S — Google review
In 2014 my wife's locker was broken into, even with all the Cameras, the front desk refused to check or show my wife the footage.. so she was out $40.00. I told her if it ever happens again anywhere call the Police & file a report. That might help the establishment to check their videos.
Ed H — Google review
While the YWCA is an important institution, it is disappointing that it is unwelcoming to disabled people. The accessible entrance is always locked. They say they will open it, but there is no way to call for it to be unlocked. The Richards Street entrance is unsafe for a person with a walker. When I asked about it, the indifference was disheartening both at the front desk and the restaurant. I expect more from the YWCA. It looks like it will take a lawsuit.

20220321. @Dress4Success @YWCA is a fabulous, empathetic program that helps low-income people like myself get suited for job interviews. Group exercise program closed abruptly at the end of March 2024 with notice given to members only in January. Poor management and lack of honesty and financial transparency by Board of Directors and paid management staff. It didn't have to be this way. So disappointing. It was a neighborhood gathering place for many years and an invaluable fitness resource for seniors.

Nestled in the scenic Pālolo Valley, the Pālolo Valley Swimming Pool offers a refreshing escape for swimmers of all ages. The shallow design caters especially well to elderly or disabled individuals seeking gentle workouts.
Palolo pool, the manager and his team of lifeguards are great. They are always friendly, and at the same time they constantly moniter the pool and swimmers for safety. Also, the shower and toilet facility is always clean. Kudos to the Palolo pool manager and his staff!

50 m municipal lap pool with bathroom shower room open to public (only) at posted hours. Be aware hours are divided between 50 m lap and 25 m lap swim; limited hours per day not open Sundays. Major State holidays normally closed; there are some exceptions with change in hours. Best to call in advance for the hours which are announced in a recorded message. Clean, well maintained.
Curtiss A — Google review
This pool is 50 meters and has the best hours of any of the City and County pools. It has morning hours M-W and F, evenings M-Th and afternoons every day. I would give it 5 stars but I would like to see longer evening hours. It is also shallow for almost the entire length so it is excellent for elderly or disabled people who just want to water exercise. Lifeguards are very polite and friendly as at the other C&C pools.

I love coming for a swim here. Good exercise and I'm getting some sun. Deepest part of the pool is 5ft. Perfect for lap swimming. Recreation swim hours are usually between 3-5 pm and it's usually not too busy.

Kaneohe District Swimming Pool offers a refreshing escape in the unique island setting of Hawaii. The pool is well-maintained and provides a comfortable water temperature for lap swimming. While not heated, the pool offers a warm experience once you start swimming. Visitors can enjoy various activities beyond swimming, including tennis, basketball, baseball, and more at the District Park. Families will find organized scheduled activities for all ages to enjoy.
Excellent place to get some exercise and swimming practice. Note that the hours are updated frequently, so don't rely on the Google Maps listed schedule, it may be out of date.

Lane or space always available, lifeguards friendly and helpful. Pool needs a little repair, tiles missing.
Patty B — Google review
I found the pool to be clean and the water temp wasn't bad. I wouldn't say it's a heated pool, but I was there to swim laps. Once I made a lap I was warm. The lifeguards didn't seem thrilled or friendly, but they weren't rude. They use cones to mark the lanes, so pay attention to the lane marker on the bottom of the pool or a lifeguard will say something. I can't complain for a FREE pool to lap swim.
Andrea C — Google review
My wife was trying to obey the rules by putting up our daughters hair after the life guard yelled at us that hair must be tied up, so she set our 2 year old son next to her standing up in water that went up to his thighs, as she was tying her hair the baby fell over and was floating for just a moment, the life guard alerts my wife by saying, "Does he normally do that?" my wife quickly picks up the baby and is now terrified making sure the few seconds under water didn't cause any real damage, ( it did not ) . The life guard jokes saying "The head is heavier than the rest of the body, if he were to be looking in the toilet his head would fall in" The lifeguard said it with a small laugh. My wife is shaking and in tears from the scare. The life guard then acts angry again and ask my wife if my 2 year old is wearing a swim diaper. ( he was) but it was terrible that she was crying and shook up and he was still being nasty at her about rules in that very moment! He also yelled at me and my 6 year old son when i was gently swimming with him holding onto my back. he said it was considered horse play. We left after his rudeness to my wife. All this time we stayed silent and tried to do what he was yelling at us. Ridiculous behavior that all happened in about 7 minutes. That was a year and a half ago. Never went back.

NEWEST UPDATES: no longer need reservations, however there is still 1 person per lane. They close every hour and make everyone get out of the pool and can swim again for another 50 minutes. One lane is water walking, which is literally just walking in the water. Not a good place for kids to swim, there is a line to get into the regular lanes. Its a 100meter pool, huge lanes, lots of water, which means lots of pumps and filtration which means lots of resources to keep the pool clean. The amount of chemicals needed must be astronomical. Bad allocation of resources. It's essentially the same thing as running every appliance in a house at the same time all the time, but only staying in one room. The pool can hold much more than 7 people safely. We allow restaurants where everyone is eating or planes where everyone is inches away, but we can't have more than 7 people in a humongous pool at the same time? Perhaps make everyone show they are vaccinated or tested negative like restaurants and everything else? Or close the pools, i can't get over the wasted resourced keeping this thing running. COVID UPDATES: for anyone who is wondering i uploaded a photo of the hours. and also the new number to call. In addition to the really weird time frames and 15, yes 15 rules they have posted. They only take reservations in the morning from 7:45am to 8am, if you come after that they do not take reservations, I do not know why but this is also the same state that allows covid positive travelers to come to hawaii as long as they do a 14 day quarantine. You will need to call the front desk with the number I updated, and some lifeguard will come to the front gate to escort you in... the gate will be unlocked so I don't know why they would need someone to escort you in if the gate is unlocked. They said they want to lessen the cross contamination between patrons, but if this is true, its better to have a lock on the gate, vs. a sign that says STOP, especially if a lifeguard is going to come and escort you in anyways.

Dropped in to this nice little basic city pool with 5 X 25 yard lanes for some swims while here on vacation. Entry is free of charge and it's first come first serve. Probably best to show up about 30 minutes after opening when most of the first group of swimmers get out. One person per lane unless you share with someone you're with. Check opening times, they vary daily. About a 35 minute walk from Waikiki hotels.

Additionally, the tour guides are highly regarded for their excellent service and going above and beyond by including additional stops not originally planned. Many customers also appreciate the competitive pricing compared to excursions offered through cruise lines. Overall, Roberts Hawaii Shore Excursions comes highly recommended for providing great experiences at reasonable prices.
This was a wonderful way to see a bit of the island. There were only 10 of us in a new, comfortable vehicle with a driver that gave us a lot of valuable information. On the train ride they stop and let you feed the horses and pigs with food provided by the train operators.

Our driver was Leone, he was a wealth of information and narrated along the route so much history and just facts about the places we stopped at. He was very friendly and welcoming. I have never been to this Island and was so glad we were able to. My wife and I loved the breathtaking views from the overlook. Highly recommend this tour!
Eric W — Google review
We had such a fun time with Leone as our guide. This is a fun family trip and would would for folks with mobility issues (they do need to walk up the steps to the bus but there are handrails in both sides, mobility devices were not a problem and were stowed under the bus). The spouting horn was lovely and the canyon was grand and majestic. You could be dropped off at the Anchor shopping mall or back at the cruise port. This was much less expensive than taking the cruise excursions the same quality as other sup sponsored trips. We have used Roberts for pier and airport transfers and have generally been impressed the the overall professionalism of the company.
Jacqueline R — Google review
This was a great combination tour. Quick drive out of town and up to the Kona Coffee Farm for tasting, then to Pu’uhonua o Honaunau National Park, then finishing up at the Painted Church. Our guide did an INCREDIBLE job of describing the coffee industry and how the beans are farmed in the Kona district. The tasting was excellent and a great opportunity to buy at the producer. The highlight of this tour was certainly the Pu’uhonua o Honaunau park. We were fortunate to have a group that walked thru the grounds with some respect for the Aina. It's really a fascinating and powerful place to feel the history of the island. But the Painted Church was great and an amazing display of the dedication of the early missionaries to Hawaii. If you are cruising the islands, this is a must attend excursion.

We did multiple tours with Roberts Hawaii during our stay on Oahu and during our time visiting the other Islands. We had 3 excursions with Roberts while visiting Hawaii from a cruise ship and loved all 3! The drivers and our guides were excellent and the bus was very comfortable. We would definitely recommend them as they are less expensive than the ship excursions!

Take your Hawaiian excursions through this company. They are just wonderful. Our guides were awesome. Leone really cared that we had a great experience. Cost much more reasonable than cruise line.
RDP8203 — Google review
We just came back from POA cruise to the islands. We used Robert's Hawaii for two of our excursions. One in Hilo - Rainbow Falls and Volcano National Park and One in Kaui - The Waimea Canyon (morning) and Fern Grotto (in the afternoon). Both tours were FANTASTIC. The tour guides were extremely educated, prepared and excited about showing us the best spots and for learning about the sites. They not only spoke to us on the bus but got off the bus at the stops with us and made sure we knew what we were looking at and made sure we made the most of the excursion. They were personable, fun and really cared about what we wanted to see and do on the excursions. Robert's Hawaii was the best excursions we had and would HIGHLY RECOMMEND - very reasonable pricing in comparison to some others. Shout out to Cousin Lisa and Leone for taking such good care of us! Robert's is lucky to have both of them on their team.

I was wandering through Ala Moana Center today and happened to come across this golf facility. I decided to check it out and WOW was it impressive. There’s eight hitting bays with high tech swing analysis equipment and two golf simulation bays that can accommodate your weekend foursome or a large group event. There’s also a putting green and fitness area that is available to anyone who books some time there. It’s also worth mentioning they also have teaching instructors on site too during the weekends. Needless to say, as an avid golfer, I can see myself spending time here to work on my game in between meetings, for social gatherings with clients, family and friends, and while my family is shopping at the mall. Bring your own clubs or use the ones they have their. They have a little putting area as well. They have drinks you can buy there as well. Plently parking and a playground for small kids. A lot and I mean a LOT of police officers always in the parking lot.

First off.. Its free! The hours of operation is reasonable, and fit perfectly in between the day where it isnt too cold to swim. Never crowded. Parking is close and pool is accessible to those with disabilities. Also life guards are always so helpful and nice!

The lifeguards let us bring our wagon full of me and the kids things into the pool area so we could keep an eye on them. I'm sure they let us bend a few more rules as long as we weren't a safety hazard. Even offered us rubber bands for our hair when me and my niece thought that we had lost ours. The lifeguards basically rock! Just wish the pool was deeper and the rec side (not dedicated to laps) was a little bigger. No handicap ramp for main pool fyi too(not sure if one is necessary but for the sake of detail I'm letting you know).

Hale Koa Main Pool is a spacious and family-friendly pool deck featuring a large pool, hot tub, and ample space for leisure activities. Visitors can enjoy the added comfort of family cabanas or cozy daybeds. While some guests expressed concerns about limited pool hours and access restrictions, many appreciated the fun slides, pleasant cabanas, and friendly staff. Despite being busy, the pool offers an enjoyable experience for hotel guests to relax and have a great time with their families.
Pool hours could be a little better, but I get that people have lives and that there is a massive staffing shortage everywhere. The slides were so much fun and the cabanas were very nice. Staff was very friendly and helpful. It was extremely busy every day, so while I understand some frustrations about not allowing all military families being able to access this, I can see why they have limited it to just hotel guests.

As far as resort pools go, this one is great. It was recently renovated and has a huge area for kids which is awesome. It's nicely maintained and literally steps from the beach and bar. I'm kind of surprised at the one star reviews saying they're upset they can't use the pool if they're not staying at the hotel. I've honestly never in my life heard of anyone using a hotel pool at which they're not staying at. Obviously you need to have a room here to use the pool otherwise it would be way overcrowded for actual guests.

Trey F — Google review
We’ve been coming to the Hale Koa for decades. It’s been a huge part of many family’ and friends’ Waikiki memories over the years. We have stayed at the resort, visited during years stationed here, and entertained at poolside when staying at timeshares. We brought three generations here this trip and are staying on another end of the island. We’ve been planning for over a year for the grands to enjoy the pool and new aquatic center…only to find out it is closed to non Hale Koa guests. As a military retiree family, this is very disappointing news. I would have hoped the aquatic complex would remain open to all military beneficiaries, whether staying at resort or not. Possible for the Hale Koa to consider an Aquatic Center Day Pass rate for military beneficiaries not staying at the resort?
Laura R — Google review
***MILITARY DISCRIMINATION** Hale Koa is an upscale resort for Military members and Families, BUT there are major issues with pool access AND the hours of operation. 1. NO MORE ACCESS: Pool staff looks you up by room number and name before issuing a wrist band. You can no longer attain access to the pool(s) unless you are staying in the hotel. That means - all AD, USAR, USARNG, Retirees or Family Members can no longer visit Hale Koa to swim unless you are paying for a room. This discrimination shenanigan began with the opening of the new pool in 2020. 2. POOL HOURS SUCK. The current hours do not support Families. Many Hale Koa guests work during the day (Schofield Barracks, Ft. Shafter, Hickam, etc.). By the time we return to the Hale Koa (Sun-Thur), the pools are closed. 1700 is extremely early to close pools as it eliminates family time. It also eliminates viewing Friday fireworks poolside. In comparrison to the neighboring Hilton Hawaiian Village, they keep their main pool open until 9pm (2100), which affords families the opportunity to enjoy the pool into the evening hours, including the fireworks display at 2000 on Fridays! Cudos to Hilton for accommodating Families. Hale Koa Pool hours: 0900-1700 SUN-THUR 0800-2000 FRI-SAT Hilton Hawaiian Village: 0830-2100 I've spent over 100 days in the Hale Koa since 2016 and have noticed a decline in military accomodation. It is sad to see the progression and the only thing that keeps me coming back is the price. I have stayed at the Hilton Hawaiian Village, Sheraton, Ala Moana, Hilton, Moana Surf Rider and Courtyard Marriot. All are great stays and have much later pool hours than Hale Koa. To Hale Koa: Support and accommodate military Families in two simple steps: 1. Increase your pool hours to 2200. 2. Bring back access to all military ID (CAC) holders. If you do, I will change this from a 1 star to a 5 star and refer you to others. Hit the HELPFUL button if you agree. Thanks, Brian Hargis Google Guide

The University of Hawaii features an aquarium that doubles as a research and educational center for marine life. Visitors can marvel at vibrant coral reefs, observe sharks and jellyfish, and even interact with hermit crabs and other small sea creatures in a special area designed for kids. While some students may have had mixed experiences, the university is well-regarded in regional rankings. Despite not having top-notch facilities, it is considered a very good institution overall.
My experience was better at HPU in comparison to the 2 other universities I have attended-- one of which is on Oahu and the other in California. HPU is also ranked fairly good in the regional "Best Western Universities" in the US. Some students may have had bad experience(s) at the school but I think it happens to every school. Swimming pool
Hale Koa Adult Pool is an infinity-style pool offering stunning ocean views and a hot tub for ultimate relaxation. The pool area includes in-water loungers and private cabanas where guests can savor renowned Mai Tais while enjoying the serene atmosphere. Visitors appreciate the peaceful ambiance of this adults-only retreat, although some suggest extending the pool's operating hours to allow for evening enjoyment.
So peaceful and calm. My favorite spot at the hotel!

The pool and hottub is great and relaxing. Extra nice because no kids... but the hours need to change. Closing the pool before the sun even sets is not cool. I believe it closed at like 4 or 5 in the afternoon. It'd be great if they closed at like 10p.m.
